The hotel is very centrally located , right next to the famous Gumti 5 market and very close to Starbucks and Shoppers Stop which are on the right hand side just 3 to 4 minutes away after one steps out of the hotel, Mr Romil , the entire staff including the guard & the restaurant staff are very friendly and nice to talk to, my room was just extraordinary and the bathroom was just excellent, too good As compared to the their room charges, they delivered tea for me at midnight, service is perfect and upto the mark, lift works fine, right in the centre of main GT Road in Kanpur in Ashok Nagar- one of the posh commercial areas of Kanpur, Van Heusen and Louis Philippe are just 2 minutes away, nearest market- Gumti 5 is a splendid market, one gets the best of everything there Overall a very great experience

Clean and spacious, with solicitous staff and good amenities. I was told I'd been upgraded, and the room had a sofa area. Surprisingly there were no windows at all apart from between the main room and bathroom. Since we lost power multiple times, I was left in the pitch dark, needing to use my phone for light several times. The restaurant had fewer western items that I wanted, and I felt bothered by too much attention from the waiter staff to be honest. I don't want someone to put my bread in the toaster, or tell me how to combine elements of my dinner. However everyone intended well and was kind, so it was as good a stay as I could have had in central Kanpur I think.

Visited Kanpur after many years and stayed in my favourite hotel. The warmth and helpfulness of all staff very appreciable. The food good though would have preferred some more options in breakfast to match the other services Was travelling during the worst cold wave in Kanpur and would have preferred central heater. Did not ask for a room heater so do not know if they have sufficient in such extreme temperatures (7-8 degrees Celsius)

During my recent trip to Kanpur, i stayed at this property for 2 nights. The hotel was very clean and tidy. The rooms were well lit and well made. The linen and toiletries were clean . The washroom were newly built with all basic facilities . WiFi connectivity was good. The only area of improvement could be the breakfast spread.

The hotel is just about fine at the price, tried to give the modern and clean look which they pretty much do give. But beds are a pain to sleep in and there's a train track right across the road for that good nights sleep (if you were able to sleep on the beds)

Rooms are off decent size, clean and functional. Bathrooms are clean though slightly oddly arranged. Water from the shower will spill over to the washbasin area but its not that big of an issue. Staff is very courteous and ready to assist whenever required. My first room had an Odd irritating damp smell. On request they immediately changed the room, no questions asked. Room service has good options and food was presented nicely and tasted fresh. Breakfast spread is quite good and service matches upscale restaurants. Overall a very decent stay.

Check in is smooth; the room was fairly clean with adequate pillows and cushions . Paying a little extra by the hotel could have ensured HD TV in the room. The free WiFi worked well. The bathroom could have better been partitioned into the shower area and the toilet and basin space. In the absence of even a shower curtain, it was impossible to prevent the whole bathroom becoming wet and slippery after a shower. The hot water also takes ages to come on!

The staff are very generous and helpful. The Banquet Hall was nice with separate terrace for buffet foods. Room Size is very small for two persons in a room otherwise all other facilities provided are good and staff is also very good. Dining hall / Restaurant in in basement seems congested. Overall stay is comfortable.

The location is central (crowdy traffic during the day). All is ok including the restaurant on the ground floor. Quality of sleep was good and price also. The only downside is the difficult to go and come as it is too much central. :)

The hotel staff was friendly and very helpful for organizing taxis, exchanging currency, booking trains. Especially for taxis, expect to pay quite a bit more than local standards but for us–not having an Indian phone number and not speaking Hindi–this was the best option. The hotel does not have a gym but organized a complimentary auto rikshaw/tuk-tuk to another hotel that had a nice one. The breakfast is diverse and tastes good. In general, I was cautious about hygiene when I came to India, but the hotel seems very sanitary and we did not have any problems. I was surprised to find that my credit card had not immediately been charged at booking but that I had to pay at check-out. The general area has a lot of trash on the ground but we felt safe walking around. I greatly recommend the restaurant Haveli, which is a 20 minutes walk from the hotel and has the best India food I have tried during my trip :)

We had visited this place for a family visit and stayed here for 2 nights. The staff is really nice and the hotel was very clean as expected of a best western. We had dinner one day in the restaurant and there was this guy with an amazing voice singing.

Hotel used to be much better earlier...but hospitality needs much improvement now...During checkout after returning the key card, the reception guy is arguing that I haven't returned the key..god knows what he was up to...restaurant calling me at night asking if I would want to order dinner..boss if I want dinner I'll order it myself..and to top it all water which I could hardly call as hot in the bathroom...

We arrived at the hotel around 12 and we had to head for a meeting immediately. But the hotel staff was very unprofessional and our room allocation was delayed. The reasons provided by the hotel was lame and unacceptable. We will not recommend the hotel due to the unprofessional behaviour of the staff

It looks very pleasing. 2: front desk staff is very courteous. 3: the room was very comfortable with all the aminities one would need in a room. 4: room service was fast and the food quantity was appropriate. 5: I had breakfast buffet and it was great in taste and variety too. 6: the hotel had free wifi. The room was the smallest I have ever seen. The room house keeping service was the worst. The linen was super rough and no attention was paid to room cleanliness. Would never recommend this to anyone! Several reminders have to be given for room to be cleaned!

Introduction: This hotel is bit overpriced when compared to Radisson Blu, but is worth staying at. If you are coming for the first time, you can go for its membership. Starting with the room, I went for Deluxe Double Bed King Size Non-smoking. And to be honest, looking at the space and room, it looked a bit overpriced, though room was clean, smelled good and fresh and ambience was great. I found the service quite satisfying too. Personal Note: Go with the online booking sites rather than booking it on spot. The place is located in the middle of the city and easily connected to Bus stand and Railway station through easily available local conveyance. Nearby Places: The place near to it is Moti Jheel and I would suggest you to visit Massacre Ghat (Satti Chaura Ghat) and Allen Forest Zoo also even if you are on an official trip. This Hotel is very old property. Earlier it used to be known as Bliss. Now with their Alliance with Best Western it is known as a different name but that does not add much value to it. I mean in which Hotel do you get a Pillar in the middle of the room..? which obstruct the vision of your TV set and force you to be careful to move around in the room. Come On...Grow up and Give your customer some value for the money

Very good hotel located on main gt road around 6 km from raat satin and 5 km from bus stand. Nice staff. Good food. Rooms are affordable corporate discount is available. Complimentary breakfast included.

One of the very few first-rate hotels in Kanpur. Accommodations were excellent with 24 hour hot water. Beds and bathroom were very good. Moreover, the restaurant has a full menu and all that we ordered was prepared nicely. This hotel has become our stopping point between Agra and Banaras, a trip which we make frequently, so we will be returning to Hotel Bliss again.

I was accompanied by my father to this hotel for a two nights stay. Hotel is at a good location with average food. But that's where all of it ends. I have put down my review based on different parameters:- 1. Rooms:- the room offered to us was very cluttered and small. There was hardly any space to walk around in the room with the couch almost in front of the restroom. The rooms are not noise free so expect train horns and vehicles all night around. 2. Room bed:- I am writing about beds separately as this was a disaster in the hotel. We had twin beds and the beds has rolling wheels. Due to which the beds were slipping away snd my dad almost fell down on the floor. This was very annoying and we had to be very conscious while sleeping so that we don't end up getting slipped down to floor as even the mattress was not of good material. 3. In room dining:- the first day order was excellent. However second day kuch order was pale bad. We ordered for butter roti and butter naan. We got plain roti and plain naan. 4. Breakfast buffet:- This was nothing to comment about. Try taking a room rate without breakfast as the breakfast apparently has not hot food option like masala Dosa or any Indian preparation apart from idli, plain paratha, media vada which they have everyday and don't taste good. 5. Staff:- staff was good and supportive. They are saving the otherwise sad hotel. This is a very basic hotel as compared to the price they sell at. It's a mere 2 star hotel selling at a 4 star price!

The hotel was good and stay was OK. But they should make things more complimentary like 1 meal either dinner or breakfast. I checked in after 1 day of my booking but they charged me for whole booking which I kind of didn't liked. Overall it was good but not better.

It is a only one chain hotel in kanpur. Duration of match at green park I was stayed with my outsider friends in this hotel. Food was ok But hospital was excellent. My friends were so happy. The all staff are well trained and educated. Wi-fi and breakfast was incredible. Thank to all staff to make memorable of my friend's stay.

I booked this hotel after having booked another in Kanpur that turned out to be very different to what was advertised. Late at night I saw the Best Western Bliss and decided to book. Once I arrived the hotel staff were welcoming, friendly and very amenable to finding somewhere to park my motorcycle. The room was a little on the small side but very well looked after and spotlessly clean. There was also plenty of storage. The beds were comfy and the showers warm. The real bonus was going down for dinner, very late in service (around 10pm) again the staff were incredibly attentive, friendly and helpful. The food (curry obviously) was excellent and the bottle of Kingfisher Beer was presented and poured with the sort of affection and care normally afforded to a vintage Petrous! Breakfast was also good with a selection of both Indian and continental choices and great coffee. All in all an excellent stay and I would thoroughly recommend this hotel if you're on a mid budget.

Nice play to stay. I had a chance to stay during my friends marriage and it was worth. I just did not expected warm hospitality and pleasant stay. Thank you guys. Overall i would recommend and stay again.

Second Home for me as i stay a lot....But overall the best Hotel available in kanpur with good facilities, good service, Hygiene at its best, and staff is very very co-operative...Food is awesome and they customize the recepies as per your taste as well with prompt service which makes your stay comfortable.

stayed here after trying royal cliff in my previous visit.Rooms were spacious and comfortable with all the amenities needed.Internet was excellent.Breakfast was tasty and had reasonable variety.Ordered dinner from room service menu which was good.Would like to stay here again.

My Other Option in Kanpur & 1st Option is not available ,Its one of the best hotel for stay in Kanpur . As usual Best Western Hotels have smaller Rooms but they are equipped with all facilities . Gumti 5 is very near for any kind of shopping . Staff at Reception ,Housekeeping & restaurant very helpful. BF option is Good & I won't say best but it is much better than other hotels . Food Is always delicious & tasty & of course quality is very good . I rate it among best & favorite place in Kanpur

The hotel was clean and the staff was helpful. The price was kind of high if you compare the hotels in Delhi but I dont have an idea the range of hotels in Kanpur. It is an old hotel and the rooms are cozy. There is no space for crib. We stayed for one day so I do not know about the restaurant. I asked an iron for my clothes because I had a meeting but the iron was broken from the edge and its cable had been damaged which is dangerous but still I had to use it and I used it :(

This is a nice old hotel in Kanpur India. Small place with nice rooms and good restaurant. No bar so if you drink not for you. It is in a noisy place so ask for a room on the back side. The rates are great and the rooms are very clean so enjoy your stay.

This is a compact little hotel which is in one of the main areas of Kanpur. Though the entrance to the place could be underwhelming once inside it is pretty much on par with the other Best Western properties elsewhere. A OK Sized room with a very good mattress. A Washroom that is not claustrophobic a welcome change from most hotels. Got delivered a nice welcome drink & wet tissue to the room after checking in. Must admit a good gesture which I never expected in a city like Kanpur. The wifi was of decent speed allowing you to catch up with mails etc comfortably. Given the choice available in Kanpur I would certainly come back to stay on my next visit

This hotel is a part of the Best Western group.Very good central location close to Gumti. The quality of rooms is good, good bathroom fittings, comfortable beds etc. The staff at the reception and restaraunt are very polite and helpful. However it is popular amongst marriage parties and one of the nights that we were there, there was a lot of noise throughout the night as marriage party people were shouting and we could not sleep at all. We had booked a cab from the hotel for a drop to Lucknow airport and despite charging us a good sum (Rs 2000) for an AC car , we got a cab in which the AC was not working. This was very dissapointing.

The hotel is located close to market and malls. This was my first trip to Kanpur and I was looking for a budget hotel. This hotel had good rooms, average buffet breakfast. Service wise staff needs to be trained and they should know how to provide service and make guests happy so that they think about returning to the hotel. Buffet breakfast needs overhaul.

I have been visiting kanpur since so many years on my business trips but always find that it is better to stay at Lucknow and commute 'coz there is no better options of hotels in kanpur. The hotel looks pretty nondescript from outside, but it has been fully refurbished from inside. It was quite a pleasant surprise to see the newly refurbished room since I was expecting something dated.

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights while visiting IIT-Kanpur.This is a miniature version of a 5 star hotel and located right on G.T.Road.The check-in was hassle free and we were quickly alloted our room. The room was very clean and the furnitures provided were very comfortable.But one thing that I want to mention is that the room had no windows and there was no natural ventilation , we had to switch on the AC continuosly because of that. Also the geyser was not working initially and someone from the housekeeping had to come and fix it. The bathroom was spacious and all the fixtures was working fine. All toileteries were also provided and there was a hair dryer also. The room had electric kettle and coffee and tea sachets were also provided. One thing that requires special mention is the food of this hotel.All the items that we ordered in our 2 day stay were very tasty and quite reasonably priced too. Kudos to the chef for that. Also the complementary breakfast was extremely lavish and had various items. One thing I want to mention is that the rooms are situated very close to each other and since they are not sound proof you could hear various sounds from adjoining rooms.This was quite disturbing for us since the guests in our adjacent rooms were playing loud music till midnight.Also sound from the corridor could be heard from our room. The front desk staff was very prompt and helpful .I would definitely stay here on my next visit to Kanpur.

The room is a miniature version of a five star. Comfortable beds, fixtures that work, lights in the right places, strong free wifi, beautiful and very clean bathrooms. A very cooperative front desk staff. The check in is very cordial. I still wish I could ask them where they sourced their comfortable in room furniture. Loved it. I may never visit Kanpur again, but if I do, I'll stay here again.

We were in Kanpur as a part of a large group and someone from the group booked this hotel in advance. The check in was very quick and we arrived at our room on 2nd floor and immediately regretted not checking with reception if the room was non smoking. A quick phone call to front desk revealed that no more non smoking rooms were available. Anyway upon my insistence a room on the first floor (non smoking floor) was arranged. Rooms are small but functional. As we were settling down and as the luck would have it, I noticed a cigarette butt on the floor. So much for non smoking floors and daily cleaning and room preparation especially for you!!!! Anyway, the housekeeping team reacted swiftly and after a quick mop, and after the staff apologized profusely, we were left to our own devices. The next surprise was the hangers in the cupboard. My son was trying to take them off to hang his pants when he realized that the hangers had a full ring and it was impossible to take them off the rod. First time for us to see such a contraption and I have stayed in a all kind of places!!! We laughed it off. The next experience was the TV remote. It is fairly common in hotels that you have to give the batteries a little twist to make them work. As I was trying to give this treatment to the remote, I realized that the remote battery chamber was superglued and cannot be taken off!!!! I mean, this hotel must be getting very strange guests who would steal batteries and hangers in this age. This was also evident from the room service waiters as they were very keen to get the signatures on the receipts and not so much in ensuring that the food was serviced properly. Another first in the hotel was the difference in the prices in the in room dining menu and the restaurant menu. The restaurant prices were more which I have mostly seen the other way around. The breakfast was good and so is the food overall except they use "garam masala" a little too liberally for my taste but I think that is more of a Kanpur thing as we found the same issue at other places we ate at. The location is very good and central from ease of movement and not I do not mean the landscape and the scenery. Staff attitude is good. I think the biggest issue is the transition from a owner driven hotel to a chain hotel. Another thing I will never understand is the half glass shower partition. I have seen it in many hotels but only if they realize how much easier it is to keep the bathroom clean and functional by just adding another panel. It is in their own benefit. Overall an OK like stay. We had lots of company and did enjoy our stay despite the glitches.

This is the worst hotel staff I have ever met. I asked for iron and iron board which came as faulty piece I said it's right. The staff it works well. And then I got shock and my shirt also got damaged through its iron. Then I asked to iron another shirt they took one hour and came back and said you should not wear such fine clothing. Instead wear heavy stuff. At the time of check out I asked how would you compensate me they said it's your fault and our the things are well. I said I would give negative feedback for this misbehavior the front manager DHEERAJ has an audacity to saw do whatever we don't care. This is the level of service they have. Worst. Staff ever. Even his boss was of same nature. Worst experience.

Most kanpur hotels had bad reviews on TripAdvisor and in contrast this hotel seemed better. Would give it a 3.5 out of 5 as it served all basic requirements...Not a great lounge around property but great business alternative when need is to just sleep for the night and get some decent food. Breakfast was good and had bost indian and continental options

Hotel on historic GT Road, near Moti Jheel. Rooms are specious, good furniture. overall nicely interiored rooms. Office desk was cherry on top. restaurent serves good. Humble staff. Clean hotel. keep it up.
