Everything from front desk staff ,common area, to rooms, an amenities were great. Front desk is always helpful and drivers are well informed of good places to go. I have had food on occasion served to my room and it was great. Will stay again.

"This place is a GEM!"
Justinus167, 18 Janvier 2024

The standards by which this motel operates is from a forgotten day. ALL of their staff are always courteous and accommodating. The rooms are always very clean and the bedding comfortable. The breakfast that they offer is tasty and enough. I don't even bother looking for another motel/hotel when I have to stay in Juneau.

"Good choice"
MaeH32, 08 Janvier 2024

If you are flying in or out of Juneau, this is a great option. Near the airport, prompt shuttle service. This is not a fancy hotel or motel, but it was very clean and comfortable. I will stay here whenever i need to go in or our of juneau.

"I love this place!"
biggers2024, 01 Janvier 2024

I have stayed at this site many times over the last 30 or so years, and have always been happy with the visit. I have stayed in other hotels in the past but never liked them as much. The rooms are always clean and stocked with plenty of towels, soap and shampoo. The staff are unfailingly helpful and friendly. This is the only place I will consider staying when in Juneau: why stay anywhere else and take a chance when the Country Lane is a sure thing?

"Great stay after a long day of traveling"
alaskadave, 29 Novembre 2023

Hotel shuttle arrived quickly at midnight and was warm despite 30F temperature. Staff quickly checked us in and our room was comfortable and just what we needed after a long day of flying. Breakfast was delivered on time and was great. Eggs with cheese and bacon, toast and hash browns. Coffee in the room or grab a cup or snack in the lobby for early risers. Thanks for the late check out! We'll be back again.

"Excellent !"
beebuks, 01 Novembre 2023

The staff made sure to ask if I needed any breakfast or a ride to the airport. They also changed my rate for being a Miner and using the hotel for my stay while I was traveling back home for my R&R which convinced me to use the services more often as I go to and from work. I truly appreciate your service!

"Wonderful place to stay!"
triciahardee, 27 Septembre 2023

This hotel is so accommodating! I enjoy staying here, I feel safe! Which isn't easy for me! That's a huge plus for them! I loved the cleanliness as well! It was spotless! Lunch AND dinner served to my room! Yes please! This hotel is wonderful!!!

"Consistently clean! "
Kacey H, 23 Septembre 2023

As former manager of a hotel, I have a discerning eye when we stay anywhere. Ive also stayed at fancy hotels to run-down motels. I notice the little things. This hotel is always clean, friendly and the beds are comfy. It is why we stay here for medical every time we travel to the area.

"Well kept comfortable little inn"
BMacBaltimore_USA, 18 Septembre 2023

The Country Lane Inn proudly wears the Best Western brand and is a great bet if you are staying close to the airport in Juneau. They have two shuttles with both running most of the time and will take you to a lot of places. Due to strict licensing they can't take you to Mendenhall, though. The inn takes hot breakfast to your room and has plenty of cold options in the breakfast area. Very comfy beds and clean rooms. I would definitely stay here again.

"Late check ins were disruptive"
Travel482992, 12 Septembre 2023

I started to try to go to sleep at about 10:30. Probably fell asleep for good at about 2 a.m. There were multiple late check ins intermittently until that time, and there was no effort made to have them be quiet. Yelling, laughing, arguing in the front of the hotel and immediately in front of my first floor room. Staff should have advised them to be courteous to the other guests due to their late check in status.

"Really helpful and well informed staff."
Jet38814602624, 06 Septembre 2023

The people at this hotel are the most helpful ever and make local adventuring so much easier! The hotel is very comfortable, the transportation readily available and the local knowledge so important and freely given! We were able to explore using local transport ,meeting local people and eating locally based on the staff guidance. Thank you!!

"Decent Option for the Area"
FT_FlyinHawaiian, 21 Juillet 2023

I am a frequent traveler; I spend about 70 nights a year in hotel rooms. My travel plans required two one-night stays near the JNU airport and I decided to split my stays between the two Best Westerns. I've posted a separate review of Grandma's Feather Bed. This property is pretty much a standard two-story motel with exterior corridors. My King bed room was on the second floor and was a little cozy but fine for one person. The July weather was unseasonably warm and sunny and I found the room was a little warm at night; I noticed some guests left their windows open to cool down. A small fan was on the desk by the foot of the bed and that helped a bit. The property doesn't have elevators so one must carry any luggage up and down the stairs if they have a second floor room. The room was immaculate and showed no sigs of wear and tear with a dorm fridge, small microwave, and Keurig machine in the room. I must give kudos to the management for keeping the property in good condition. I did have a few issues with my stay. The first was that my room wasn't ready when I arrived at 4pm. I had used the Best Western site to pre-advise the hotel of my arrival and it was an hour after check-in. The second issue was there was no hot water in my room (discovered this when I was taking my morning shower); I mentioned it on the post-stay survey and within 15 minutes of submitting it, I received an apology letter from the hotel with a $40 credit and all taxes and fees removed. I skipped the free breakfast. As a BW Platinum member, I was given a welcome amenity of bottled waters, nut bars, and an eye mask along with bonus points in my account. One thing to note is that there are rooms on both sides of the hotel; the odd-numbered rooms face the large parking lot and highway; there's a small strip of parking on the even numbered side but note that the there's only one interior passage in the lobby area to get from the odd to even side. If your room is on the end of the hotel away from the lobby (where the laundry room is), unless you park on the even side, you will need to walk around the building or through the lobby. Both of the Best Western properties are very close to the airport and share a shuttle van. There's some food options within walking distance and a Safeway and IGA Market not too much further for food, beverages, and sundry items.

"Worst hotel ever"
Marjorie M, 19 Juillet 2023

The pictures on the internet suggest that the hotel sits back in a country setting. But, in reality, it is right off the main highway. The sheets had a terrible smell, and there was no housekeeping. There was noise all night long from outside and from the room above us.

"Very nice!"
vagabon4, 15 Juillet 2023

Very nice room, excellent staff and great service. Fejie was very nice and helpful! Shuttle driver very helpful and delivered breakfast on time every morning. Hotel less than 5 minutes to airport and restaurants less than 5 minute walk

"Great Service"
Jerrod H, 12 Juillet 2023

Feiji at the front desk is an awesome asset to your company. I've had to travel to this community and stay in the hotel multiple times and know I can count on Feiji for food and entertainment recommendations even when I have my bosses in town.

"Cute hotel close to airport"
GilP P, 12 Juillet 2023

Lovely hotel within walking distance of airport. Our flight arrived late but felt very safe walking. On bus route to Juneau centre and Auke bay for Whale cruises., only $2 each way.Walking distance ( 10mins) to Nugget Mall and the very lovely Breeze Inn opposite side of road--fabulous sandwiches, cakes and super donuts--open 24hrs a day ! best supermarket in the USA!! Good breakfast, but limited seating. Free parking and free shuttle to town and airport

"Great Value!"
agulshen, 30 Août 2022

This a great choice for a hotel in Juneau! The rooms were big and clean, hospitality was great and they have convenient shuttle service which will pick you up from the docks or the airport.I highly recommend using this hotel!

"Great staff"
C8305QVkimh, 18 Août 2022

The staff here couldn't have been nicer. We arrived later in the evening and were tired from a long day of travel. Check in was fast and seamless and we were helped getting all of our luggage to our second-floor room - there are no elevators. The hotel provides a breakfast, provided by a local restaurant, which is delivered to your room, at your requested time. We only stayed one night before moving one with our journey, but it was a pleasant stay! Airport shuttle was provided, and the hotel is about 1 mile away

"Perfect hotel"
FredericL788, 01 Août 2022

The room was very clean. Hot breakfast (choice of eggs or pancakes, with bacon in both cases) was delivered to our room in the morning. The complimentary shuttle service to/from the airport and the ferry terminal (and downtown in the morning) is super convenient.

"Perfect 1 night stay"
AdventureTherap... M, 24 Juillet 2022

Everything we needed for a 1 night stay. Close to the airport and they provide a shuttle. Rooms were clean, spacious, comfortable. Coffee in the rooms and free breakfast - they even let you preorder and deliver to your room to help with their continued covid policies. They were able to stash our luggage the next day so we could taxi to the glacier. Staff was welcoming, friendly and helpful!

"A comfortable hotel close to the airport"
Brandon S, 24 Juillet 2022

This hotel has an airport shuttle but it's literally half a mile away so when we landed we just walked over. The staff was friendly and the rooms comfortable and clean. If your traveling through Juneau and need a place near the airport this is an excellent option. It's also equidistant to Mendenhal Glacier and downtown. Our flight wasn't until 4pm and we were able to visit the glacier and downtown before heading to the airport. Also, the hotel will hold your luggage after checkout which is a big plus.

"Decent, clean place to stay in Juneau"
Larry G, 17 Juillet 2022

Older, well-maintained hotel, conveniently located near airport and parks. Included breakfast delivered to room, but limited menu. Free internet abd cable TV. Good place to stay while visiting family in Juneau, but overpriced.

"Good location"
iu92, 22 Juin 2022

This was located close to the airport, and we appreciated the airport shuttle as we didn't rent a car the night we stayed here. The room was somewhat basic but clean, and bed was comfortable. The most irritating thing was the Venetian blinds which did not block out the light. Since the sun started coming up around 3:30AM, that makes no sense. Blackout curtains would have been much more appreciated. We left for an early flight so had the Grab and Go breakfast, which was fine considering.

"Clean and quiet"
kristinem242, 30 Mai 2022

Room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was a selection of continental breakfast items. Shuttle only goes to town @ 9am and picks up @ 7 pm. Good diner (Donna's) close. Don't stay here if you want to go to and from downtown Juneau.

"Expedient"
tobeyclarkin, 06 Avril 2022

BW made everything quick an easy. The airport shuttles were super helpful, the individual delivered breakfast early in the morning was an unexpected treat, and the bus stop right across from the hotel was a quick/cheap way to hop downtown for dinner. Great stay.

"Memorable Stay"
asorens, 24 Septembre 2021

We stayed several nights here in September and couldn't be more pleased! We've stayed at numerous Best Westerns across the nation and this one exceeded our expectations. Apart from the employees being courteous and rooms being clean (which are always nice to find when staying somewhere), this one has a lot of subtle charming characteristics that set it apart. It has more of a cozy cottage feel than a hotel-the hanging pots of flowers, the twinkling bulb lights strung across the property, and a warm fireplace in the lobby area all make it feel like a true Alaskan retreat. The location also can't be beat! It's the perfect middle ground. Just minutes away from the airport and Mendenhall Glacier, and halfway between downtown and “out the road” where we hiked and fished. Will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Juneau!

"Great Service"
U9536OAdavidt, 08 Septembre 2021

Staff was very friendly and helpful during our visit and kept our bags in secure storage after we checked out which allowed us a carefree day playing tourist since our vehicle didn't have a secure trunk.

"Cozy, quaint, and warm reception"
npenn10, 02 Septembre 2021

As soon as we walked in, we felt at home with the fireplace and country chairs in the reception area. We were amazed and please by the free shuttle to many places we needed to go, and the driver was always prompt and cheerful.

"Helpful and efficient"
26pamb68, 01 Septembre 2021

This Best Western is located on a main street in Juneau which makes it easy to find and allows the, to shuttle quickly to the airport (maybe 3 minutes door to door) and the ferry dock - maybe 10 minutes. They have a fish freezer for an extra $10 per night which was greatly appreciated. The rooms are small but clean and comfortable with the basic amenities. Staff, from the shuttle drivers to the front desk, were very well-trained, professional and polite. The shuttle drivers were especially helpful with our large boxes of fish! The only down-side is the street noise but traffic in Juneau gets very light after about 9 pm and it didn't bother our sleeping.

"High end two star hotel"
Michael J, 12 Août 2021

This is a high end two star hotel. Very clean and spacious. Laundry room on site. Outside is nice with flowers Good customer service. Room is nice and updated. Table and chairs. Comfortable beds Amenities are: mini fridge, microwave, ironing board, hair dryer, coffee maker, WiFi, and tv

"Decent place to stay in Juneau"
Larry G, 07 Août 2021

Have stayed here a number of times when visiting my daughter and grandsons in Juneau. COVID has ruined the breakfast offering (we got pancakes every day!). Nice having Keurig coffee machine in room, but needed to ask for "good" coffee and for decaf for my wife. Room cleaning wasn't performed all the time, even when requested. No business services available. Rooms nice, roomy and TWO TVs provided. Convenient to most of what Juneau has available! Pricey, but....Juneau.

"Excellent night sleep"
kjabo, 05 Août 2021

My family of 4 adults arrived via Ferry from Haines (after 9pm). Shuttle to hotel arrived promptly to transport my family & assisted with our luggage. We were not informed upon checkin that we must provide our breakfast request and the following morning we were informed a bfast may or may not be delivered to us depending on availability as we did not preorder the previous evening. We were provided with 4 wonderful and filling breakfast bags consisting of pancakes (x2) syrup, bacon, and juice. We were disappointed to discover only one shuttle per day went into downtown at 9 am and returned at 7pm. We took the city bus into town ($2/person) which took about 45 minutes with stops. It was a hot day and we were able to sleep comfortably with window opened and several fans (provided in room) provided necessary circulation. Beds were very comfortable! For the value (free shuttle to/from airport) and proximity to airport this hotel was a great choice, only disappointment was lack of shuttle options to downtown which wouldn't have been a downfall had I not anticipated that as an option. Staff was helpful and provided assistance with our luggage.

"Manager doesn't resolve problems"
kathym11222021, 04 Août 2021

The motel was noisy. Poor customer service. Unable to resolve double payment of taxes. Asked to speak to the manager. Told she would return my call never heard from her. This is very poor customer service.

"The comforts of home."
Terri G, 20 Juillet 2021

A great place to stay. Rooms are very, very clean and will appointed. The bed is like sleeping on a cloud. The exterior is gorgeous with all the hanging baskets of flowers. Nothing you won''t like staying here. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

"Excellent Staff"
Camerafun, 16 Juillet 2021

Excellent service, clean, fast service. Breakfast delivered to room was very good. Staff was very knowledgeable about the area and cheerful. Very close to Jueanu airport. Walking distance to airport. Would book again!

"Good location."
kayship, 03 Juillet 2021

We booked this hotel because it had the best reviews. The rooms have a microwave and a good size fridge which was convenient. The rooms are a little cluttered because they are small, but enough for what we needed. The rooms with double twin beds are not big enough for anything else and are hard to walk in, but the one queen bed room has more room. The location is within walking distance to the airport and some restaurants and a few small shops. We enjoyed walking around a bit. However, if you don't want to wait for the shuttle, you will need a car to get to the downtown or other sites. Comparatively, a great place for the price. Recommend.

"Nice room, good staff, comfortable beds"
sjentzsch1, 27 Juin 2021

Good location, great beds, probably would stay here again. Due to covid, pancakes and juice were delivered to our door the first morning we stayed. Second morning, nothing showed up so we called and they were delivered later. Missed a pool and hot tub. Needed more towels but those never showed up.

"Visit to Juneau"
Minnesotawaterbaby, 21 Juin 2021

My husband and I stayed here for three nights while on vacation. The room was clean, the staff very friendly and the shuttle very easy to use. The rooms are a bit noisy, as they are not well insulated. Thus, we were often woken by neighbors or cars outside. Overall, I would say this is one of the best places to stay in Juneau. Very close to the airport

"Adequate hotel in Juneau, good price"
philipf2014, 09 Mars 2020

This is a run-of-the-mill Best Western without much extra. The rooms are heated with a radiator which works but not very fast. There is no heavy quilt on the bed which i typical Best Western but given the cold in Alaska, it would be nice to have a heavier quilt. There is neither pool nor elevator so if you get an upstairs room, be prepared. I believe I will stay here again because the price is very reasonable for Alaska.

"Very Nice and Clean Property"
AitutakiGirl, 24 Février 2020

Whoever owns this Best Western franchise takes great pride in it and it shows :-) It was very nice and clean with all sorts of personal touches that make it stand out. All the painting was fresh and crisp. The beds had nice quilt bedding, and outside had twinkle lights around perimeter, which sparkled against the new snow. They were very accomodating to us since we were there on a day trip by allowing us to check-in in at 10 am and out at 7 pm since they were not full that day. The front lobby and breakfast area appeared very nice as well. A great choice when staying in Juneau :-)

"Comfortable hotel"
D2DARWIN, 20 Janvier 2020

I stay here often the hotel is a good location to area food and airport. The rooms are comfortable and breakfast good. Most importantly the have a shuttle to ferry and airport, and will take you to medical appointments.

"Nice basic accommodations"
Barbara C, 01 Décembre 2019

We stayed here at the beginning and end of our trip to Haines. The hotel is clean, and the staff is friendly. You can request a room on the first floor when making the reservation. It is helpful to stay on the first floor, as they don't have an elevator. Of course, they will help you with luggage if necessary. Breakfast is simple, but good. They have scrambled eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, French toast sticks, cereal, oatmeal, breads, muffins, etc. They offer a shuttle to downtown every 2 hours from 7 am to 7 pm, with returns on the quarter hour every 2 hours. But, you must request it at the front desk. They also offer a shuttle to the airport. I believe that it runs every 30 minutes.

"Perfect Stay"
Tami S, 30 Novembre 2019

There was a large number of us checking in at once and the front desk was very speedy and efficient the breakfast was a varied selection of hot and cold items including eggs, bacon and biscuits & gravy. Their shuttle service is beyond anything at any other hotel I've stayed at! They have scheduled times for local shopping along with the ferry terminal and airport...they even offered me a ride to church! The shuttle is available 24 hrs a day which exceeded my expectation! Rooms are clean and beds comfy. I trAvel through Juneau frequently and will definitely make Best Western my go-to hotel.

"Staff is xenophobic to white brazilians"
xyzzyx x, 04 Novembre 2019

I visited this hotel in 1998 because I had to take an SAT in Juneau, AK. The son of the owner didn't like me requesting the courtesy van, told me to turn my headphones off, and said I was rude to his staff, which was a lie. I said I'd understand and would stop doing anything if it were bothering people, he heard I wouldn't understand, said I was a punk, and that I had to leave the hotel. Then he understood he'd heard wrong, and said I could stay. The next day I went to another hotel of another company. The son of the owner is a lucky spoiled brat that doesn't deserve how lucky he is.

"Comfortable bed and a warm breakfast"
Madeline W, 27 Octobre 2019

I often have to spend the night in Juneau between ferry rides and flights and I always stay here. The beds are CRAZY comfortable and the hot breakfast which is included is fantastic. Eggs, biscuits and gravy, bacon, plus loads of fruit. pastries, coffee and more. And there are fresh cookies at night? It's a warm cozy place to get through a chilly, wet Juneau night.

"Alaska Trip Oct 5-9,2019"
ericanderson263, 10 Octobre 2019

The hotel is a good place to reserve. Room is clean and equipment works properly. Breakfast meal is good every mornining 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 am daily. In the evening they make chocolate chip cookies to enjoy as a snack. If you have disabilities they dont have a elevator to the 2nd floor but a helpful staff can help get your luggage to your room. The hotel is not far 5-10 minutes from Juneau airport Thanks Eric A

"Always a great experience"
Diana L, 09 Octobre 2019

Staff is courteous, and quick. Rooms are clean and beds are very comfortable. Location is great. Shuttle to airport and ferry. Will recommend to friends and family. It's always a pleasure staying here

"I felt like I was sleeping in a tent on the side of the freeway."
Dkn63, 01 Octobre 2019

The motel is directly across from a busy street, so you get the sound of cars zooming by all night. That combined with all the random noises immiting from the paper thin walls, I don't think I slept more than an hour. There was a pretty large gap under the door allowing even more sound in. Positive note, the staff was nice, the shuttle service was great, and breakfast was good. The room was also very clean.

"Great Trip"
Ann H, 29 Septembre 2019

We arrived late at night and still had friendly staff to pick us up and greet us at the hotel. We had an early departure time and the staff was gracious and helpful. Breakfast was amazing at 5 am. Anna made sure we were shuttled to our ferry on time and always treated us so sweetly. BW Country Lane is the best place to stay in Juneau.

"Fishing trip to Alaska"
Chris M, 23 Septembre 2019

Love this place. Very friendly staff and a great freezer to store your catch. Shuttle van was ready and time we needed a lift to town or the airport. Breakfast is amazing with very good choices. Bacon, eggs biscuit and grave made for a great start to the day. Will definitely stay again.

"Best western is the best"
rickduron, 19 Septembre 2019

I have stayed with best western for 11 years, and it has continually improved it quality I will continue staying with them as long as I travel to Juneau and other places Although I have never stayed at best western in any other city.

"Best Best Western"
G B, 12 Septembre 2019

This was the best Best Western motel I can remember staying in for years. Property in excellent repair and exceptionally decorated. Beds were very comfortable. Hot cookies in the evening and full and varied breakfast. Better than most in lower forty eight.

"Next to the airport but over-priced"
12trvlgirl, 01 Septembre 2019

This Best Western is fantastically convenient to the Juneau airport, which matters a lot for a 7 AM flight. It provides an airport shuttle, which is also great. The breakfast buffet starts at 5 AM - that's amazing! And it's a good spread, including hot items. But basically this lodging is a motel, with doors straight to the outdoors, thin and ill-fitting. Very poor soundproofing through the walls and floors. As a solo female traveller, I felt very insecure. Other guests didn't seem cognizant of the motel quality and carried on loud conversations outside the rooms late into the evening. All of this totals up to what I'd expect to pay for a mid-range, decent quality lodging in the Lower 48.

"Great choice for transportation from ferry and airport"
Sandy D, 31 Août 2019

Very clean and updated hotel. A delicious breakfast before airport transfer. Transportation was offered between ferry and hotel in addition to airport transfers. The only negative is that there is no elevator. It was raining and we had to drag luggage in the rain to the outside stairway

"nothing special"
411lynnc, 28 Août 2019

Lots of high reviews on this MOTEL. This really is a renovated motel. Rooms are small, and bathroom is very small. I thought the motel was "fair" at best. i looked at the high reviews and booked here for a total of $200 / night. Surely there has to be something better in Juneau.

"Friendly and Comfortable Airport Hotel"
Apricot_Alma, 27 Août 2019

Flew into Juneau late (10pm) and used this hotel for one night stay. Excellent choice based on quiet, comfortable and clean room with adequate breakfast options (scrambled eggs, yogurt, breads, cereal, fruit). Shuttle pick-up was swift and they drove us into town the next day - very convenient since you really do not need a car in Juneau because of their transit system. We walked mid morning to the airport for a helicopter ride too!

"Great transportation service- yummy breakfast!"
uzengirl, 25 Août 2019

We had a 7am flight out of Juneau airport and wanted a place close to the airport. Transportation provided into/out of downtown Juneau was excellent; as was transportation to the airport. Breakfast was excellent with scrambled eggs, biscuit and gravy, sausage and bacon, breads/danish, an array of non-alcoholic beverages. If you have a lot of luggage, insist on a 1st floor room-- there is no elevator. The only problem we had was that we checked in at 3:30 pm and given a room that was obviously not completely cleaned up from the prior occupant. We were offered a 2nd floor room but our luggage was too heavy to drag up a floor of stairs.

"Great location and excellent value"
shadowlord_7, 21 Août 2019

Overall, a very pleasant experience. The room was comfortable and clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was better than I've come to expect from a Best Western, though the coffee could use a little help. For us, the best feature was the close proximity to the airport. It was an easy walk, so we didn't feel the need to rent a car. Additionally, the provided shuttle service was much appreciated. However, only a few fixed times were provided when the shuttle traveled downtown, so we had to take a bus and/or Uber on more than one occasion.

"HOSTILE TOWARD INFANTS"
funkymama181, 21 Août 2019

This past stay was my 3rd or 4th time staying here and we had a great experience with the exception of the last visit. our infant was in the lobby area and became excited when he saw a sculpture of a dog so he screamed 2x. front desk staff approached my mother and asked us to leave due to his screaming. i complained to management and received a lecture on "policy." I have never been treated this way nor asked to leave any establishment for any reason. this hotel clearly does not like infants and is not used to them; they cater to elderly and those receiving medical treatment according to the manager. I will not be returning to this location and will file a formal complaint.

"Quiet and comfortable every time"
whoa3050, 19 Août 2019

We have stayed here many times and the staff, cleanliness and accessibility to the airport are the best. While not fancy (you are in Ak) we stay in a king suite that's got the most comfortable bed, plenty of space with the extra room, microwave sink and small fridge . You can store frozen food in their freezer, a lot of frozen food if needed!. Another perk is storing extra luggage if you leave for a couple nights and check in again. Their hot breakfast is better than most and serving area kept continually clean. Another perk- warm chocolate chip cookies every night. Just a nice clean comfortable place to stay away from downtown AND a free shuttle to downtown and the airport! Staff is very accommodating too.

"Very good location and stay."
milagw, 15 Août 2019

Excellent stay, fully recommended! We have comfortable stay with my family (4 adults in 1 spacious room). Very clean room and surroundings. Very good breakfast. Shuttle is free within 6 miles, so we went to downtown and explore. The WiFi is very good speed. The staff are wonderful! Totally enjoyed our stay.

"issue with shuttle"
Joe O, 14 Août 2019

We stay here often, as we are Rewards members and have to go through Juneau to fly south every year. Over the last 20 years, I would say we have stayed here dozens of times and generally it is a nice stay, with the occasional bad egg at the front desk and the alt-right news on the big screen in the lobby. However, the last stay we had there in July of 2019 was very disappointing for one reason. We needed an early morning ride to the ferry, so arranged for an early morning shuttle with the front desk. As my kids (age 15 and 7) and I got ready to board, the shuttle driver asked how old my youngest was. When I told him, he refused to take us since only 8 year-olds and up apparently could ride without a car seat. Never in our years of riding shuttles at BW or other hotels have we been asked that. This young manager insisted that it was state law, which it is NOT. I own a tour company and we transport folks all the time, including children. Obviously babies and toddlers need some more protection, but not a larger child. If this is the new policy, then why did they arrange a shuttle for us in the first place? No advance notice of this policy change, and no booster or car seat to offer so that guests can still make their ferry or plane comfortably. There was another family with younger children that were quite distressed about this new development as they did not want to miss their flight. Taxis were called by the nice front desk staff (who seemed to not know how to deal with this corporate individual declaring these new and stringent rules for BW shuttle drivers). So, hopefully someone will respond to my review and say that this is no longer an issue so that we can continue to stay there.

"Clean, quiet and comfortable"
jcoffeyphotos, 08 Août 2019

Spent one night here before leaving for home the next day. Beautiful hanging baskets of flowers along the front of the Inn welcomes you. The room was spotless and quiet. There was a large family group next to us and we never heard them once. It is convenient to the airport and there is a shuttle service into town on an hourly bases or to the ferry/airport 24/7. Will also arrange transportation within 5 mi on request. Would definitely go back.

"Excellent"
shelmer-8, 04 Août 2019

My family loved staying at this hotel. We had two rooms with a rollaway bed in each room. There was plenty of space for 10 of us. We had a delicious breakfast each morning that included eggs, bacon, biscuits/gravy, yogurt, toast, bagels, and fruit! The wifi was good and the staff was friendly and courteous. We would definitely stay here again!

"Pleasant hotel, conveniently located"
zeldasperson, 31 Juillet 2019

Return visit to Juneau, stayed at the BW Country Lane again. Very convenient location near the airport and centrally located to Mendenhall Glacier, the downtown area, and Shrine of St. Therese and Eagle Beach park. Good breakfast, starting very early, which we like (5am-10am). Noon check-out which was helpful since we had a 1:20pm flight (expected check-out to be earlier).

"Noisy airport hotel with free shuttle into the city "
jonotennis, 30 Juillet 2019

Myself and a friend stayed four nights in Room 250 (twin beds) in July. The hotel is based near Auke Bay half a mile from Juneau International Airport and nine miles from Juneau. We arrived via the ‘Fjord Express' fast ferry & sightseeing cruise/shuttle coach from Skagway to Juneau International Airport. We then used the free courtesy phone at the Airport for the three minute hotel shuttle minibus to the hotel. Pros: -Free shuttle minibus from/to Juneau International Airport (3 minute drive) and to/from Juneau city centre (20 minute drive, Tracy Arm building-Dock F Seadome Dock). Shuttle scheduled from hotel every 2 hours from 7am to 7pm. MAKE SURE YOU PRE-BOOK EVERY JOURNEY! -Room 250 (floor 2, top floor) - twin queen-size beds, bedside table, clock-radio, lamp, telephone, USB charger wall ports, chairs & table, fan, large flatscreen Samsung TV (with USB port) atop three-drawer cabinet, microwave, fridge, open hanging space, suitcase stand. Sink. En suite bathroom with toilet and bath-shower. -Breakfast - Lobby - 5-10am daily - buffet. Choices include: cereals, fruit, yoghurt, bread. Hot food. Toaster. Tea & coffee. -Business Center - floor 2. 2 desktop PCs. -Guest laundry - floor 1. Coin operated. -Attractive hanging baskets. -Free WiFi - password provided with card key. I got 4G phone coverage on my smartphone with AT&T. -Free luggage storage - we used it on checkout as our flight was in the afternoon. Cons: -Staff - minimal hotel information provided at check-in. -No lift. -No safe in room or Front Desk. -Room - occasional aeroplane noise from adjacent Juneau International Airport. -Room - occasional conversations and shouting heard through the wall. -Room - slamming doors - occupants next door slammed their door so hard on our final night our mirror shook! -Hotel - woken up at 8am the first morning by member of staff using a garden strimmer outside opposite room! Loud hoovering in room next door commenced at 8:45am - despite the ‘Please do not disturb' sign on our door! -Room - sink located outside bathroom in bedroom area. -Breakfast - limited seating. -Breakfast - bowls, plates and cutlery made from either cardboard or plastic - all thrown away! Notes: -Cruise ships deliver over one million tourists to Juneau each year. -Taxis, Uber and Lyft available. Uber from hotel to Juneau = US$25. -Turn left out of hotel entrance and walk 15 minutes for a Subway, a half-empty Nugget Mall (with stuffed bear!), a McDonald's and a Breeze Inn convenience store/liquor store. -Turn right out of hotel and walk 25 minutes for a Safeway supermarket (includes a pharmacy and a liquor store (take photo ID)). I recommend using Google Maps or the ‘maps.me' offline maps GPS app (iOS) to locate it, as it's hidden behind trees. -In Juneau I hiked up the Mount Roberts Trail and took the Mount Roberts Tramway (US$10) back down, visited the Alaska State Museum (US$12pp), and saw Governors House and The Whale Project life-size whale statue. -Outside Juneau I visited the Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center (from bus stop outside hotel - US$2 per journey, cash only, no change provided - then walk 1.5 mile walk (30 minutes) alongside highway to Visitor Center entrance) and went on a Allen Marine 7 hour ‘Tracy Arm and Glacier Explorer' boat trip (departs Tracy Arm building, Juneau). -I drank a latte at the Heritage Coffee Roasting Co.

"Consistent"
Lee R, 29 Juillet 2019

BW Country Lane Inn has consistently provided us with good service and clean rooms. The breakfast offering is pretty good too, rounded out with fresh chocolate chip cookies every night - a nice touch. And they have a great shuttle service.

"The first place we'll stay in the Last Frontier "
NumberOneReviewer, 21 Juillet 2019

My wife and I decided to take a trip to Alaska for our 10th anniversary and this hotel was excellent. We got great service from everyone here. We got excellent advice and suggestions on great tourist attractions. Our room was clean and comfortable. This will be our place when we return to Alaska

"Great stay!"
beisel1144, 16 Juillet 2019

We stayed here enroute home from a week long fishing trip. This hotel was wonderful. Extremely well appointed throughout, the front desk people very courteous and helpful, the room very clean and comfortable. We will stay again next year on our fishing trip. A first class experience.

"Country Lane Inn"
Klinet, 14 Juillet 2019

We had difficulty on our arrival as we were unable to get a first floor room with my wife having difficulty on stairs. The room was nice but very warm with a small fan on desk, Had to have windows open and fan in bedroom working in order to circulate any air. Very noisy prior to 9:00 am for those trying to get adjusted to the time zone changes. Breakfast was great but did not have enough tables to accommodate the group present. Was an uncomfortable sleeping environment with noise and the need to keep the windows open. We were tempted to put the small fan in front of the refrigerator to move some cool air. We found the reasons why we switched from BW to other hotels once again.

"Clean. Full size fridge"
Crodonn89, 11 Juillet 2019

Not sure if every room but mine had a full size fridge which is excellent if you catch fish and had them cleaned. Also had a full stove and a microwave. Didn't use tvs but looked nice. Breakfast was reasonable(eggs, bacon, bis and gravy, yogurt, cereal).

"Quick overnight stay"
Jet55973055252, 08 Juillet 2019

Very close to Juneau airport; we landed after 10 pm and they sent a shuttle right over; the next morning, the free shuttle took us to the ferry. The room was nice and clean and beds were comfortable. They serve a great breakfast with many options, including hot meal which other hotels don't offer. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We were only there one night but it was a nice stay!

"Outstanding place for our short stay"
T9878GCroberts, 06 Juillet 2019

This hotel is about a mile from the airport and has courtesy shuttle service to the airport and nearby shopping /eating locations. Good breakfast included in the well priced hotel for the area. This hotel also has walk in freezer storage for fisherman - a big plus for fisherman. Nice modern rooms, very clean with comfy beds and good WiFi, great friendly staff. Need a place to stay near the airport, this is the place to stay.

"Maintains excellence"
PatriciaS709, 30 Juin 2019

We are impressed that this Inn doesn't age. We were here three years ago with a ferry layover and are repeating it tonight. We are Alaskans and love this place. Tasteful touches such as wooden shutters, pleasant stylish bed covers and Kuerig coffee makers in the rooms. Beautiful hanging planters let you know it's summer in Alaska. Rooms a tad bit small for 3 and a bit of luggage but that's okay when it's a clean, well maintained room.

"Walk-In Freezer for Fish!"
TravelBugVA, 28 Juin 2019

What more do you need to know?! We had a cooler full of halibut and needed to overnight in Juneau near the airport. This hotel was perfect for various reasons: 1) Walk-In freezer with lock for guests; 2) Shuttle to airport and downtown; 3) Great staff; and 4) Yummy breakfast, chocolate chip cookies and tea/coffee available at night, plus bottled water and granola bars at check-in. Any downside? The second floor is only accessible via stairs. If you don't do stairs, make it clear to the staff in advance.

"Quiet and comfortable"
Rakkasan68, 25 Juin 2019

Country Lane Inn is a nice motel. It has everything I need. One can walk to several decent restaurants. There is shuttle service to downtown and to the airport. There is adequate parking. The place is quiet.

"Great Place"
Nluch, 24 Juin 2019

I'm not sure if my other review saved or not. This place was phenomenal (I'm 47 and had my parents with me). CLEAN, quaint, QUIET, HUGE bedroom (2 queens with a full kitchen, huge bathroom, high ceilings with beams, and so much space). They recommended their sister hotel (Grandma Feather) for lunch but we missed that (11:30-1:30) and went to one of their other rec's: McVinney's I think it was or something like that. SUCH GOOD food there and the locals there were amazing and told us all the stuff to do in town! Back to the Country Lane Inn...the outside is wonderful with huge baskets of hanging flowers...my dad was just enthralled! Completely recommend this place; LOVED it.

"Full service one night stay"
Trail37437635187, 24 Juin 2019

We stayed one night en route to our final destination in Alaska. We chose the hotel because of the chain's reputation, the shuttle service to and from the airport, ferry terminal and downtown and the included breakfast before our early morning departure. We would definitely consider staying again.

"Great Family stay"
Vacationer65065, 22 Juin 2019

We had a great experience here!! Clean rooms, great breakfast, fantastic grounds with beautiful flowers. The front desk was very helpful with suggestions of things to do. Great location too from the airport and downtown.

"Great Stay!!"
lizano, 07 Juin 2019

Like an oasis in a desert, this place was a gem. Comfy rooms, great breakfast, nicely refurbished; but the best thing was their fresh out of the oven chocolate chip cookies that were ready all day long. Yum!!! After a long day of doing whatever, this just melts away any wrinkles.

"Central to a variety of activities."
HandVRetired, 02 Juin 2019

Central to a variety of activities. Within walking distance of restaurants and a quick commute to Mendenhall Glacier and the port area. Airport shuttle was prompt and convenient and a really nice breakfast.

"Wish I could keep this a secret!"
Ann M, 27 Mai 2019

I repeatably go to this hotel and in general love the BW chain. This hotel is top notch. The restaurant is over at their other property and does have room service. The food has always been tasty . So many good things to say about the country inn!

"Consistently Good Service"
wkbtraveler, 19 Mai 2019

Our second time to stay here as a large group and both stays have been good. Clean rooms with an Alaskan feel. Great shuttle service, good breakfast, friendly staff and the restaurant at their sister hotel, Grandma's Featherbed is very good for lunch or supper.

"Juneau"
Guide26982352208, 09 Mai 2019

Traveling through Juneau on a regular basis for business and pleasure for many years I have stayed in many of the hotels in Juneau. I have always enjoyed my stay at Country Lane Inn. The rooms are clean well furnished and the staff has always been more then glad to help my stay be as enjoyable as possible.

"Favorite in Juneau"
suzette45, 03 Mars 2019

We stay here at least twice each summer. One block from the airport, with great shuttle service. No elevator.on the property, so ask for first floor if you cannot do stairs. Nice free breakfast each morning. Early service to the airport or ferry terminal.

"Great accommodations, pleasant and professional staff, airport shuttle, and best breakfast anywhere"
tokriver, 26 Février 2019

If I'm visiting Juneau (which I often do) this is where I stay. The rooms clean and sanitary, the beds just right for a good night of sleep, the airport shuttle, an accommodating and friendly staff, a great breakfast... an oasis of comfort and respite from the chaotic tedium of travel. I highly recommend this establishment.

"January Visit to Alaska"
DonnaGetMeStarted, 04 Février 2019

Room was basic and clean and comfortable. Good facilities. Buffet-style breakfast. Vending machine not working on site, which was a bit of a pain (we snuck into Travelodge next door and use theirs). Bus stops very close by; cabs trickier to come by. Hotel has airport shuttle.

"Home bound"
Ann M, 02 Février 2019

After vacationing in California we were finally on the last lag of the trip. Tired and ready to rest in a comfortable bed and room. Country in is also nearby choices for dinner. Such a pleasure to stay here!

"Well maintained, comfortable hotel with great breakfast"
Northwestnest, 07 Janvier 2019

This well-maintained Best Western motel is near the airport and has a shuttle service. They will even take you downtown if you desire! The price per night is as low as it gets in Juneau, which influenced our decision to book a room there. We were impressed with the cleanliness of the room. The hotel isn't new, but everything was up to date, fresh, clean and in good shape. With a refrigerator, Keurig machine, large TV, hairdryer, and quality linens, the room was as nicely equipped as much more expensive rooms I've stayed in. We heard a few airplanes, but the neighborhood was really very quiet. The lobby and breakfast area were neat and tidy with comfortable seating. There were lots of breakfast options available: cereal, toast, eggs, bacon, sausage gravy and biscuits, gluten free oatmeal and an oatmeal topping bar (nuts, coconut, etc.), bananas, yogurt, juices, coffee, tea, and more. It was top notch. The staff was friendly and on the ball. We will definitely stay here again!

"Experience after three visits in one month"
blackCarryOn, 31 Décembre 2018

My husband and I stayed here three times (five nights) in August 2018. It was our staging area before our backcountry trip to Glacier Bay and then 10 days in Haines. Overall, our experience was fine. There's definitely some unevenness in the niceness of this motel, depending on what you're looking for. For one visit, we stayed in an "upgraded" room with a kitchen. This was a disappointment, as the kitchen was useless. The only supplies are four paper cups. No utensils, no china, no pots, etc. It is really pointless unless you bring your own supplies. I've never stayed in such a useless kitchen at a hotel/motel before, and I regret spending extra money for it. They occasionally had problems with the security certificate for their wifi. I honestly forget the specific issues, but I knew I was glad to use a VPN the whole time I was there. The shuttle to/from downtown is useful. My husband and I were never sure whether to tip. Some drivers seemed surprised. The breakfast was as expected, i.e., slightly disappointing. It's not very healthy. Few good vegetarian options other than sweetened things. One room we stayed in had a window overlooking the hallway, so it was rather noisy. The staff kindly gave us welcome bags with earplugs and eye masks, which helped somewhat. Another high point in the service came when the front desk warned us that our ferry was running way behind schedule. For its quality, the motel seemed quite expensive, but I understand Juneau is busy in August, and it's a seller's market. We would stay here again, but it is not magical.

"Juneau Visit"
Patrick G, 10 Décembre 2018

This hotel was a very good fit for me as a traveler on business. The shuttle got me back and forth accordingly. The desk staff were more than friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was good and hot and ready when they opened. Great place to stay! I could have stayed in town but I met more nice people staying at this facility.

"Traveling in the Winter"
Daniel K, 04 Décembre 2018

Well this was another great stay at the BW Country Lane Inn, this is my favorite hotel to stay at in Juneau, AK. Some of the great things about this hotel are: The Shuttle, the Rooms, the Breakfast and the Internet that is all provide here. The staff here are very good workers, the front desk is helpful and we take full advantage of the Shuttle Service.I am lucky enough that I get to travel a few times a year for work and this is the hotel that I always request and this is where I will also stay when traveling on my personal travel too.

"Great location near the airport and beautiful rooms."
Sea_Squared, 14 Septembre 2018

We stayed just one night before flying home. The hotel has shuttle service to the airport and also into downtown Juneau which is very convenient. Our room was beautiful and the bathroom looked like a spa. It also had a small kitchen though we didn't use it. The only down side for us was that there are not a lot of dining options nearby. The one restaurant we wanted to eat at was already booked solid for the night so we walked to another one nearby. We could have taken the shuttle downtown but ended up being lazy. I think we were ready to go home ;-)

"Best shuttle service "
tonitoni38, 06 Septembre 2018

If you need a shuttle, this is the place to stay. We stayed here twice during our Alaskan vacation and had two early morning flights. Other hotels advertised shuttles but when I asked about getting to the airport early, their shuttles couldn't get us there because their service didn't run that early. What's the point of having a shuttle if it doesn't run when you need it? Additionally, Best Western's shuttle has regularly scheduled runs downtown that drops off and picks up at the wharf-walking distance to all downtown attractions or businesses. The rooms were clean and comfortable, staff super friendly and helpful. Breakfast included with your room rate. Stress-free stay.

"Saved Our Day"
inabedofroses, 03 Septembre 2018

So, imagine you have just finished a cruise but you've picked up a bug and you're not feeling well. You have a hotel reservation for that evening, but it's only 8:30 a.m. and you're burdened with luggage. Now imagine having the desk clerk stow your luggage in a locked storage space, then give you the first available clean room at 9:00 a.m. Saved! Of course the room was clean, attractive, and quiet. Of course the breakfast was tasty and nourishing. Of course the complimentary shuttle took you to the airport at a moment's notice. It's a Best Western, after all. This one went above and beyond. Juneau is lucky. You can be too.

"Always a Pleasant Stay"
jameslS9840MT, 28 Août 2018

It's always a pleasant stay at Best Western Country Lane Inn in Juneau, AK. Very clean, professional and courteous staff.I highly recommend staying at the BW Country Lane Inn.Side note: One of the BEST continental breakfast I've experienced (at any hotel chain).

"Comfy, Clean, Somewhat Convenient"
Greg G, 27 Août 2018

Our room was very comfortable and clean. Simply: a standard contemporary accommodation that met our expectations. Convenient to the ferry and airport, not so convenient to downtown. However, the hotel shuttle made a downtown run every two hours and by appointment for other transportation needs...airport etc. The shuttle drivers were awesome. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise. Both hot and cold breakfast items. Moreover, there were several dining choices and a retail mall within walking distance. The only disappointment was the $10/box freezer charge the hotel wanted to assess for the two hours prior to our airport departure. Having purchased 7 equivalent nights for our family, one would think two hours' use of the freezer for our two small carry-on boxes of fish would be a simple courtesy. One of those fees for service that angers customers. We opted out. All in all, fine accommodations by Juneau standards. Just not convenient to downtown if that is your desire.

"Near the airport and on the way to the Mendenhall Glacier"
Jack S, 27 Août 2018

The rooms were very large with separate coffee/microwave kitchenette and small sitting area. Beds were comfortable and breakfast was very good. It's near the airport but any airport noise was not noticeable. It's on the Glacier Highway to Mendenhall Glacier and also it's very easy to get to downtown Juneau from it. Parking is a little tight around the inn. Noise from upstairs rooms can be heard in downstairs rooms beneath them if the upstairs guests are noisy.

"A good choice and a comfortable stay"
PAULA T, 27 Août 2018

I found the staff were very professional, attentive, and accommodating to my need(s) and request(s). I was not very familiar with the City of Juneau at the time, and requested staff assistance in helping me locate the office building where I was to conduct a business meeting.

"Airline Delay"
Ronald R, 19 Août 2018

Due to Alaska Airline's pilot not being able to land at the Gustavus Airport, we were forced to spend the night in Juneau. Best Western was able to put us up for the night. Their Shuttle picked us up at the airport and returned us the next day to the ferry. The breakfast was good and the service was friendly.

"Very good choice in Juneau"
profed, 19 Août 2018

We had two rooms, one with two queens and one with a king, and they were both very large and comfortable, with a small kitchenette area (fridge and microwave). This was an excellent spot for exploring Juneau: just a short ride to downtown and to the Mendenhall Glacier. Staff was friendly and accommodating, and housekeeping kept the room very clean throughout our visit. Used the shuttle for pickup from the ferry terminal, but I would recommend that the shuttle driver directly address those waiting to be sure that he picks up those who have called for pickup, as there were many waiting but only some of us had called ahead. We also rented a car which was helpful, since we did not want to be dependent on the shuttle schedule. The hotel is literally within walking distance of the airport but we never heard any planes during our stay.Overall, would definitely recommend for a stay in Juneau.

"Convenient to Juneau's airport"
b2dave, 19 Août 2018

The rooms are small but clean and comfortable. Rooms are accessed from outside and there is no elevator. The free breakfast is really good with fresh scrambled eggs, oatmeal, yogurts... more than the basic free breakfast fare. Not only do they have a free airport shuttle (you could really walk there), they have a free scheduled shuttle downtown. Everyone there is friendly and helpful. If you feel like a hike, you can take the side street to behind the airport and walk the dike trail.

"Quiet"
Mike P, 19 Août 2018

Conveniently located close to the airport, while the rooms are not large, they are clean and quiet. They offer a better than average complimentary hot breakfast. A complimentary shuttle will take you downtown.

"Great for an overnight stay"
DCtraveler93, 13 Août 2018

We stayed here before we left Juneau. The hotel is really close to the airport and they have a free shuttle at any hour. They allowed us to store a couple bags overnight when we went to Glacier Bay. The lobby is very nice and we were greeted right away. They had a free breakfast but we had to leave to catch a 5:15 a.m. flight and missed it. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant but there are a few nearby (one Mexican place next door that stays open past 8:00). The room was very large. There was a kitchenette and a smaller room off the bedroom with a desk and some space to store your belongings. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom is small but a nice shower and tub. There is a counter off the bathroom for your toiletries. Check in and out was a breeze. Wi-fi worked great. I would stay here again.

"When in Juneau Stay Here"
Randall H, 08 Août 2018

We have family in Skagway so we travel through Juneau routinely whether catching the Alaskan Marine highway ferry or a flight. We have never been disappointed in our stay at the Country Lane Inn. You can get food delivered to your room from Grandmas House (their sister facility) or the local restaurants next door (Mexican) or downtown. The rooms are always clean, the staff courteous, and express check in and out are superior. Most flying out 515 am have to catch a shuttle 330-345 and the airport coffee shop doesn't normally open till 430-445. The staff at the hotel, though told breakfast not normally out till 5, had biscuits & gravy, eggs, bacon, juices, COFFEE, yogurt etc. This is amazing since I have tried to get other hotel airport chains to at least put something like boiled eggs, fruit, yogurt, a breakfast bar of some sort for early morning travelers catching a flight. The staff should get a bonus or extra stars in their files for this great service. Thanks and will stay again.

"Home base for adventure into Alaska"
Craig L, 08 Août 2018

The Juneau airport is small and located on the outskirts of town. Sea planes, helicopters & commercial aircraft share the airport. Think water runway next to the paved runway. We were taking a sea plane to our final destination at 6:30 am. It was best to be next to the airport versus being 20 to 30 minutes to downtown Juneau. We found the Best Western Country Lane Inn to be ideal. 5 minutes or less to the airport using their shuttle yet quiet from the airplane noise at night. The rooms are very clean and functional. Two story building with outside entry to the room. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was basic and enjoyable. We were able to get to downtown Juneau and back using the hotel shuttle. Mendenhall Glacier transportation via a short tour bus ride from downtown & back, about 2 hours all in. Well worth the time. We had lunch at the Hanger Bar which faces the cruise ships and sea plane port. Nice to watch the planes land and take off the water.

"Mendenhall visit"
WMRLC, 06 Août 2018

Walking distance from airport, very close to Mendenhall Glacier. Away from from heavy downtown crowds. 24 hr shuttle, freezer to store fish & game. Breakfast. Nice rooms and staff. I would certainly prefer to the downtown/ cruise ship dock area (6 miles away, good taxi service)

"Stayed Twice"
jbwhitehouse, 06 Août 2018

We stayed here two different times within a week. The first time was fine and as expected. The second time turned out okay, but our 2 queen room reservation was oversold and so we got a king and sofa. That was okay, but they acted like overselling is the norm; I hope not. Refrigerator and microwave in very spacious bed and bathroom. Helpful business center. Warm cookies to welcome guests. Good, varied breakfast. Good shuttle to and from ferry as needed and in the opposite direction to downtown from 7 am to 7 pm. Hotel is about 15 minutes from ferry.

"Great place"
Debbie W, 03 Août 2018

We stayed here on our visit to Juneau. Room was very clean and the continental breakfast was great. They even shuttled us to downtown area and picked us up! Staff was very informative and helpful. Will definately stay here again!

"Exceeded our expectations"
b0b123b0b, 10 Juillet 2018

We have been to Alaska a few times and from past experience set our expectations down a bit. This stay was only an overnight. At first sight when pulling up to Country Lane we saw a fairly bland building which seemed to follow other Alaska properties we've stayed in the past. But as we entered the lobby we realized this place was different. We saw a clean checkin area and attentive desk host. We were quickly assigned a room, and after checkin we took advantage of their free shuttle to downtown. Our room was along the back of the property and was very clean and very quiet. Good water pressure in bathrooms/showers. Beds were comfortable. Wall outlets have been modified with built in USB ports, very welcome for charging our phones, tablets, etc. In morning they serve a free breakfast which was pretty extensive - juices, fruits, toast, bagels, eggs, bacon, sausage, etc. In summary, we would stay here again.

"Already GOOD and trying harder!"
Paul G, 09 Juillet 2018

Clean, updated, airport nearby, EXCELLENT Staff, Well-managed, airport and downtown shuttle, guest laundry, very good breakfasts! Had an issue on check-in, but staff quick to respond and correct error. Mel, the owner, on top of things and keeps everything running smoothly. Excellent Value!

"Recent Two Night Stay"
fiona s, 05 Juillet 2018

Great Hotel in Juneau. shuttle bus drivers to ferry and back were excellant. Would not hesitate to stay here again when in Juneau. Really good breakfast specially thoughtful when we had to leave early. Lady chef in kitchen deserves praise for cooking us porridge before very early start to ferry Thankyou

"Ok hotel"
Etiya F, 04 Juillet 2018

We stayed two nights in July in this hotel. Pros :, Location is perfect and very close to airport. They have a shuttle to and fro from downtown . Very helpful staff.Beds are comfortable. Cons : for cleanness I will give it 3 out of 5. Room walls are paper thin!! You can hear people walking in corridor !! So if you are looking for quite sleeping time this place is not for you. Though they let us change the room to a inner room but it really was not helpful. This hotel is next to the a main road in Juneau so keep this in mind when booking. Breakfast was ok not many choices. Overall rating 3 out of 5.

"Convenient, Clean, and Customer-focused"
paigesmd61, 01 Juillet 2018

Stayed at this property after a cruise Conveniently located ( less than 5 minutes) to the Juneau airport. Very clean and tidy. The rooms were well appointed ( microwave & refrigerator) and the flowers outside the room gave the hotel a very quaint appearance. Breakfast choices were varied ( they even had special gluten free oatmeal). Outside the hustle and bustle of downtown Juneau so eating options are limited. Would definitely recommend this property.

"Free Shuttle"
IlliniTrav, 28 Juin 2018

This is an older motel, and the rooms and lobby are a little dated, but clean. The bathroom was small, but appeared to be updated. We stayed here at the beginning and end of our trip, and both rooms were on the second floor (be aware that there is no elevator) and in the back of the property (quiet). Breakfast was fine, and included biscuits and gravy, french toast sticks, scrambled eggs, bacon (delicious!), yogurt, cereal, juices, milk, oatmeal, fresh fruit (clementines!), breads, and giant muffins (loved the chocolate chip ones which we spread with cream cheese). Breakfast is served from 5 - 10 a.m., which was ideal since we had an early flight and ferry departure. We paid $186 per night, which included taxes. I really liked the painting of the couple fishing in a mountain stream with their little baby - it was hung on the wall in both rooms! The reason we stayed here was for the free shuttle. It goes to the airport, which is very close; it was convenient for us since we had a late evening arrival and early morning departure. We also used the shuttle to get to and from the ferry; there were several people being picked up at the ferry with us and we were afraid we wouldn't get a seat - make sure to call the hotel as soon as you arrive at the ferry dock and make sure that they make a note of your name and the number in your party since it might take a while for a second pick up. We also used the shuttle to get to downtown Juneau; it leaves the hotel on the odd hour beginning at 7 a.m. and ending at 7 p.m., and departs Juneau at quarter after the odd hour.

"Affordable, clean, right price!"
Elina P, 19 Juin 2018

We are a family of six, four teenagers. We booked their only HUGE room 223, two queens and two rollaways fit easily, full size fridge, freezer and second sink. Nice roomy bathroom. Comfortable beds, decent free continental breakfast. This was a very affordable, comfortable hotel for us. Very close to the airport. Friendly staff. Free shuttle was great, keep in mind last run downtown is at 7pm, so we had to take a cab back. I would stay here again.

"Close, shuttles, breakfast"
webbizonly, 13 Juin 2018

Close to airport. Free shuttles between airport and ferry. Room. Overall clean and nicely maintained. Deep clean not done in a while. Bathroom vents had lots of dust and hand paw prints on some corners. You coul hear people walking in room above so not very soundproof. Breakfast stated as Continental but was more than Continental. It had scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, bacon, 3-4 kinds of dry cereal milk, juices, coffee, oatmeal, bananas, sweetbreads, and Danish. Breakfast area kept up and kept clean throughout the service. Staff was nice and friendly. Shuttle drivers were informative and mini tour guides.

"Convenient to airport"
Patrick W, 31 Mai 2018

Friendly, helpful staff, adequate continental breakfast served early (5AM), free shuttle service to downtown (and of course the nearby airport). Easy access (shuttle) to Mendenhall Glacier too. Best Western value as usual, nothing fancy, but always comfortable and friendly.

"Excellent Customer Service"
happycustomer201805, 29 Mai 2018

My experience at the hotel was excellent. The front desk staff and van driver were very helpful and the customer service they gave was outstanding. They really make all guests feel welcome. The room was very clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again and recommend staying here.

"Hidden gem in Juneau "
63Kathyd, 08 Mai 2018

This hotel is fantastic. It's in a quiet area which is nice. What really makes this hotel is the staff. The 2 young men at the desk went above and beyond - making extra cookies and helping my son and his friend who are trying to find an apartment. This is what makes you come back:). Thank you!!

"Friendly Staff"
Roogrrl, 02 Mai 2018

We stayed here for a few nights. We found the room to be comfortable, clean and well maintained. Breakfast was satisfactory. Having access to the laundry was fantastic. Nice and close to the airport. We used the free shuttle into town a few times and also enjoyed the complimentary pick up and drop off at the airport. Staff were always friendly and answered all our questions.

"Great hotel"
ktekla, 01 Mai 2018

This is a great hotel with very helpful staff, clean rooms and great location. I've stopped here for a quick overnight between towns and for longer stays with my family. Always a good experience. Would recommend it without reserve

"BW is always good"
AlaskaSheri, 18 Avril 2018

We love Best Western. Breakfast has adequate options. Internet is good. There's a locked storage cupboard for items that we may have in boxes that we're taking home. They have a full walk-in freezer for storage. Their free shuttle service will take you anywhere you want to go and also has a scheduled shuttle to and from downtown. They provide roundtrip shuttles to the Ferry and the Airport as well. And, warm chocolate chip cookies at night! They are the best!

"No Elevator "
Mlandischeese, 10 Avril 2018

I admit I'm older and not as strong as I once was. So when I checked into the hotel at 10:30 pm I was told that I was on the 2nd floor and they don't have an elevator. I asked if there were any first floor rooms, she said yes, but were at a higher rate, then I booked. I'm on an extended business trip and have 2 bags, plus my computer bag. All heavy. Not something I wanted to do after a long day at work and flying that evening. I am disappointed that they could not work out a comprise on the room. Of course walking up the stairs I lost my balance and nearly fell, in the process pull my my back and shoulder. I'm not the pack horse I used to be. I looked on their web site and there's no mention to no elevator, which I would have most likely booked elsewhere. Can't afford this injury with all the work I have to do. When you book this hotel be warned that they do not have an elevator or staff to help. Plus, no compassion to help. It's not a big deal to a 20's something desk clerk. Heading to a 5:30 am flight tomorrow morning, can't wait to navigate the stairs again at 4 am.

"Home away from home"
Gary W, 09 Avril 2018

Juneau Best Western is always my first choice for lodging when in Alaska's capital city. This is based on many years of travel and there's just no comparison to other places. The Juneau Best Western rooms are clean & well furnished, amenities are great, and staff are friendly & helpful. In a nutshell, its as close to being at home as one can achieve when on the road.

"Terrible rooms"
289cbrown, 05 Avril 2018

Walls are paper thin. Loud as can be when the shower is running in one of the rooms beside yours. Door to room didn't seal properly. Because of this you could hear everything going on outside your door. The subflooring in the room needs replaced.

"Nice place to stay, staff is great!"
Kelly D, 13 Février 2018

We came in for medical so we did not pick the hotel. Was actually surprised at this place....looks average from outside. Lobby is pretty cute, rooms are smaller (bathrooms very small) but very clean and well stocked. Towels were awesome! Actually big enough to wrap around! Bed was super comfy and the pillows are wonderful!!! Staff is very nice and helpful and you cannot beat the shuttle service. They'll take you pretty much everywhere and we never had to wait longer than a few minutes. Breakfast was decent and they had these little donut bagel things with frosting that were delish!! All in all I'd stay there again even if not for medical.

"Great Choice"
Karen M, 14 Janvier 2018

We had 5 adults in our group so we had 2 rooms. There were a couple little plumbing issues but the staff took care of them immediately. The rooms were clean and comfortable, laundry facility was good. Breakfast also good. We were happy with the location. Their shuttle service made everything possible. Taxi's also available.

"Great beds!"
U313ZLjohnw, 24 Décembre 2017

The beds are comfortable, the shower water pressure is great, the towels soft and fluffy. There was plenty of coffee so we could each have a second cup the next morning. The room and bathroom was very clean. BW will always be my first choice when in Juneau.

"Conveniently located"
astroendeavors1961, 19 Décembre 2017

I stay at this property form time to time for business and have always had a pleasurable experience here. I also road trip around the USA as well. Again, whenever we need to find a place for the night, BW has been conveniently located for our needs.

"Exactly what you want"
josephbX1677EJ, 17 Décembre 2017

No frills; it's clean, staff are friendly, free breakfast if you like biscuits and gravy with bacon. It's exactly what I want when I travel. Conveniently located, fairly priced. Can't complain at all.

"Best Western Country Lane Juneau"
lesliee39, 16 Décembre 2017

Best Western Country Lane Juneau is a comfortable place to stay for one night especially if you are flying out early. The complimentary breakfast is a spread of real food, and the rooms are very clean.

"Good hotel"
Theresa A, 14 Décembre 2017

This place is a good place to stay. Close to the airport, close to dining and close to shopping. The staff is friendly and they have free breakfast in the morning. They do have internet in the rooms, but it's vey slow. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly.

"Very Nice"
J5394RQjenniferg, 01 Décembre 2017

This Inn is very nice and cozy. The room was clean, and there are a lot of tv channels. It has a great location, you can walk to the stores or dining. No elevator so would not recommend a second floor room if you are coming into town with a lot of baggage.

"Great comfort and stay, very cozy"
charlotte326, 28 Novembre 2017

My family and I stayed here and found it very comfortable and clean, the breakfast was excellent, this is my family's favorite place to stay.. Great staff and cozy rooms..This is where I would continue to stay

"Wonderful place to stay!"
Hilary B, 21 Novembre 2017

Great staff... great room... great location... just plain great! Would highly recommend this Motel! If you need a place close to the airport then this is he place to stay! The staff was wonderful, the breakfast was great!

"Best Western Country Lane Juneau"
776dalec, 06 Novembre 2017

Careful that you are only charged for the rate you are given when making a reservation. The hotel is close to the airport, yet 9 miles away from downtown Juneau, Alaska. Restaurants within walking distance only if there is nice weather. Juneau tends to be rainy and stormy.

"Good family value"
Robert A, 02 Novembre 2017

Very nice facility, clean, well-kept. Very good breakfast, although the sausage gravy tasted a little "canned". We stay there every time we go to Juneau, which is 4 or 5 times a year. Most of our trips there are for medical reasons.

"Poor faciltites in Juneau"
U2727BRcolinw, 25 Octobre 2017

Gross room, bad heating and low quality internet. the towels were stained and the room was generally uncomfortable and worn out on par with a super 8 motel room. The noise level from other guests was an irritation as well.

"Positive Experience"
gordonr310, 18 Octobre 2017

Offered clean rooms with a comfortable bed. The hotel is close to the airport, with shopping and a few restaurants close by. Not a lot of parking so getting there late in the evening can make finding a spot to park difficult.

"Juneau"
dashopepper, 02 Octobre 2017

Quiet, clean room.... after five nights with bad sleep elsewhere, BW was wonderful! The breakfast was good and the conversation with others there exciting. We will be back soon.... Thanx for making a copy of a page I needed at the front desk.

"Good Stay"
Patricia W, 28 Septembre 2017

I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Great hotel and great service. The complimentary breakfast has a good variety. The biscuits and gravy are made on site. The have a good van service and helpful and courteous drivers.

"stuck waiting for weather to fly"
Frank907983, 28 Septembre 2017

Stayed two nights while waiting for a break in the weather to fly home. Great hotel, wonderful breakfast. Location is within walking distance of the airport but they have a free shuttle service. Staff is responsive and polite.

"Great place to stay"
Susan D, 19 Septembre 2017

This hotel was very reasonably price and provided service better than some 5 star hotels. The staff is available, cooperative and savvy. They seem to be able to handle any situation, provide advice and get you to where you are going. The breakfast was abundant. It's very close to the airport and the ferry terminal.

"EXCELLENT"
maureenw328, 15 Septembre 2017

Excellent staff, breakfast, parking, internet and comfort!! I would recommend to family and friends, and if ever in the area again will make Best Western Country Lane Inn my first choice. The staff can't do enough for you.

"A gem!"
reyn0ldsfamily, 13 Septembre 2017

Everything -- from the property, the lobby, the room and the internet station -- was just great.. Terrific location near the airport. Staff was very attentive and friendly. Check-in and check-out was very smooth.

"Much Better Than Expected"
psychprofessor, 06 Septembre 2017

First of all, this motel has a shuttle service to the airport, which is remarkably welcome if you're leaving Alaska from Juneau. In addition, it also has shuttle service to and from town, which is several miles away and about a $25 cab trip. Our room had really decent furniture, something you don't always expect. I found everything perfectly functional, and I was grateful that the motel had a decent breakfast spread that was out for breakfast at 5 am! There was also a working computer in the lobby that could be used for printing out boarding passes. The motel also seems to be in the process of upgrading itself, as there was a guy painting columns in the lobby when we were there. Friendly staff.

"Service excellence"
Helga D, 03 Septembre 2017

Customer service is above and beyond at BW Country Lane Inn. From drivers to office staff to breakfast staff - all excellent and willing to help. Service is friendly no matter the request. My preferred place to stay when in Juneau.

"Older Motel-Super Customer Service"
HikingFoolCincinnati, 01 Septembre 2017

We stayed twice here, once coming into Juneau and the other when we left to come home 3 weeks later. It is an older motel that has been kept up nicely. Comfortable beds, excellent full, hot breakfast. Very clean; not musty, moldy, or smelling like smoke. But what really separates them is their staff and the focus on customer service. Whether it's arranging for a free shuttle to go to/from downtown, the airport, the ferry terminal, etc or to print out boarding passes or starting breakfast @ 5:00 AM...everyone is very helpful and kind. Yes, there are less expensive places to stay but you get what you pay for.

"Great hotel near the airport"
Genemo2, 26 Août 2017

This is a fine place to stay in Juneau. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the free breakfast is a nice feature and the shuttle service to and from the airport and the Alaska marine highway ferry terminal make it a bargain.

"Enjoyable stay"
RwhL, 26 Août 2017

One night stay at this hotel. Clean and well appointed. Good wifi. Complementary airport shuttle and breakfast. Plenty of choices at breakfast which also provides porridge and assorted milk like almond and soy. Friendly, polite and helpful staff. A minute walk to local bus stops to both downtown and Mendenhall Glacier (only a little over 15 min. walk to the glacier after getting off). Hotel also provides downtown scheduled shuttle once every 2 hours. Restaurants nearby. Would stay again if return to Juenau instead of staying at downtown.

"Older property, but clean with a good stall"
TOM Z, 22 Août 2017

My wife and I stayed at this hotel in July. It is close to the airport but about four miles from downtown. This is not a problem as they have a complimentary shuttle to take you down and pick you up on an hourly schedule. I suggest going downtown after 6pm to avoid most of the cruise ship traffic.

"Good motel/difficult location "
EWashDC59, 18 Août 2017

We stayed at this motel one night in Juneau. Clean, comfortable and very helpful staff. Close to airport but not close to anything else-- and a ten minute drive to town. They have a limited number of shuttles downtown, ending early evening. Close to city bus, but infrequent stops. This motel would be fine location if you had a car, or if you have lots of time to work around the bus and shuttle schedule.

"Best Western Country Lane Inn, Juneau, ALASKA"
Ann H, 18 Août 2017

The hanging flower baskets that greet you as you drive up are amazingly beautiful! The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and ready for you when you check in. The check in/out process is easy. The breakfast was delicious!

"Not very clean"
L1279WQcharlottec, 17 Août 2017

My family and I stayed here one night. After my shower before bed, I walked on the carpet barefoot. My husband advised me not to do that. I washed my feet with a wet washrag and the rag came away gray with dirt. I hadn't walked on the carpet for more than 10 minutes! The bathroom is so small you have to move over by the bathtub to close the door as it swings within a couple of inches in front of the toilet. Even wearing earplugs at night, we could hear every step of the people above us. They were walking normally, not stomping. For the amount of money we were charged, I expected much better!

"best place in Juneau AK"
tarkaboy, 17 Août 2017

Great property close to airport. Lovely flowers abound. Very well run. Very warm Welcome. Also had feather pillows. ing staff. Well decorated rooms with very comfortable beds. Excellent breakfast. Shuttle available immediately.

"Very cute motel!"
Rgklever, 16 Août 2017

Great bed, great breakfast, laundry onsite and free shuttle. What more could we want. The hotel is outside the city close to airport which could be viewed as a negative but their shuttle runs to city every two hours and to ferry/airport as needed. They also took people to restaurants. Wifi the best I've experienced in Alaska so far. Highly recommend.

"Great location"
Orthonormal, 16 Août 2017

This is a good place to stay overnight near the airport. It is very nicely decorated. You can hear the jetliners as a whooshing of wind outside, and if you have upstairs neighbors, you will likely hear them walking around. The breakfast is beyond a "continental" breakfast, and includes eggs, bacon, french toast strips, bicuits, and gravy. The staff are friendly and helpful. The location is great. The hotel shuttle will get you to or from the airport in about 5 minutes. There is a good pizza place and a diner that serves American and Chinese food within a very short walk. You can catch the bus to downtown at a bus stop across from the diner.

"Very good value in Juneau, convenient to the airport"
MarkUSAretired, 12 Août 2017

We have stayed at this hotel twice on different trips in Alaska. We think it is the best value in Juneau. It is close to the airport and has a shuttle that you can call as needed. It is within walking distance of various restaurants. It has a good breakfast. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean and comfortable.

"Great hotel with great service"
William S, 10 Août 2017

We arrived very early off of the ferry from Bellingham. We were expecting to just be able to store bags, but they suggested we partake of their breakfast, while they got a room ready. Above and beyond in service. The hotel itself is far outside the city which could be viewed as a negative but their shuttle runs to city every two hours and to ferry/airport as needed. I also noticed they took people to restaurants, very accommodating. Room was quiet, great sleep. We were also able to do our laundry on site. Wifi may have been the best I've experienced in a hotel. Just very well run enterprise. Highly recommend.

"one of the best in Juneau"
whoa3050, 09 Août 2017

We have stayed here before based on TA reviews. This is only your typical Best Western by outer appearance. Outside access to rooms and not fancy. But that's where the similarities end. The staff is very accommodating, the lobby is small but nice, very good hot breakfast starting at 5:00 a m, warm cookies pm,and one of the most comfortable king beds we've ever slept in anywhere. The king suite is very nice, clean, and comfortable, quiet too. We've had to leave luggage in their locked storage area with no problem when taking small planes elsewhere then returning to Country Lane. They will shuttle you anywhere 24/7 and the location is just 5 minutes from the airport. You can store frozen food too!! Just a 1st class place in Juneau. The only Juneau hotel we will stay in.

"Excellent hotel and amenities"
IvoriSalmon, 09 Août 2017

Stayed here for a couple nights last month while on our way to fishing on Shelter Island for the week. We were able to check our bags in before heading in to town for lunch at Tracy's Crab Shack. Upon our return, our check-in went smoothly. Everyone was professional and polite and soon we were settled in for the night after having traveled all day to arrive in Juneau. I was fortunate to have an upstairs room and my nephew enjoyed his cable tv and we were soon fast asleep. Breakfast the next 2 mornings was excellent; great selections of hot/cold cereal, fresh fruit, coffees/teas, eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, various breads/pastries. Our server was always polite and professional and ensured we always had plenty of choices to select from. My room was very clean and I could leave my window open overnight without fear of anyone sneaking up to it. We had a rental car and there was always plenty of parking space for us in the lot. We observed the free shuttle, and while we didn't utilize it this visit, it appeared to be very convenient and we saw many clients using it to travel around town. Location is great too; close to airport and within walking distance to the Nugget Mall, McDonald's, Wells Fargo bank, etc. PROS: Great professional staff, clean rooms, excellent breakfast. CONS: None. Would I return? Absolutely! Next trip for salmon fishing, I'll arrive early again, like this trip, and take advantage of the great hospitality and stay that Country Inn provides their guests while sightseeing in Juneau. Thank you for an excellent stay and we hope to see you again soon!

"Excellent Stay"
Anthony P, 08 Août 2017

Excellent Stay - Clean, Courteous, Highly Recommend. Good breakfast, fast checkin/out. If you're fishing, freezer for your fish. Please note, charge is $10 per box for fish storage, which is very reasonable. No issues with stay. This was our second stay at this hotel, and will definitely stay again.

"Location and room design-good value "
Walt K, 06 Août 2017

We stayed here after a week in Juneau and found the location very convenient to the airport and ferry dock. Walked to zerelda's Bistro which was suggested by the check in staff. The room design has a suite-feel and was comfortable and clean. Our room was quiet. The staff at check in were helpful, courteous and attentive. Breakfast had a good selection and the food was good-plenty of fruits and other options.

"Nicest hotel near Juneau Airport"
487kentl, 03 Août 2017

Very nice decor' and friendly staff. Great place to stay when ferrying and/or flying in and out of Juneau, as they have shuttles to both. Great early (5am) breakfast. Book early though, they're almost always full.

"Very nice stay if you are fishing."
ronaldgB5148KX, 31 Juillet 2017

Walking distance to the airport if you had to. Very nice appearance. Everything worked, clean. I'd stay here next time. Pricey, but all of Juneau is expensive. They have a huge freezer for your fish boxes if you are on a fishing trip and coming home with salmon and halibut which was key to our satisfaction.

"Friendliest Hotel in Juneau"
Vacations123ForMe, 31 Juillet 2017

This hotel is located within walking distance to the airport, a mall and excellent food. The staff is always helpful in arranging shuttles and with suggestions on places to visit or eat. The hotel is clean, the beds are comfortable and it's a great place to spend just a night or a week.

"Poor service"
letetard, 30 Juillet 2017

We received a 3AM wake-up call that we had not requested. Then the shuttle that was supposed to take us to the airport was late so we decided it was safer to walk to the airport to catch our very early flight.

"Convenient hotel to the airport"
Debbie O, 19 Juillet 2017

While the hotel is not glamorous it does provide all the necessities for staying in Juneau for a few days. It is extremely close to the airport and the hotel shuttle picks you up and returns you whenever you require. They also have a shuttle service to downtown Juneau which goes every few hours which is very handy. Ask for a room out the back as the front rooms can be quite noisy at times. The reception staff are friendly and helpful and the breakfast is plentiful but lacks variety. Walking distance to a few restaurants/ diners which can be convenient if you don't want to eat back in downtown Juneau.

"Great place to stay near Juneau Airport"
Robert S, 18 Juillet 2017

If you are looking for a hotel near the airpot, this is the place to stay. Very close to the airport; courtesy shuttle service to the airport, nearby shopping, restaurants and downtown Juneau; for fisherman - walk in lockers to store fish; Friendly and helpful staff, coustesy full hot tasty breakfast; very comfortable beds and pillows. We stayed here a night before and after a fishing trip in the area.

"Nice and simple"
Claus S, 17 Juillet 2017

Great place, very comfortable and a helpful staff. They kept our baggage for us after we checked out so we could go up to see the Glacier. The shuttle took us downtown so we could explore Juneau before beginning our journey with Uncruise. What a great trip! I'd do it again in a heart beat.

"Very pleasant stay"
Barrie W, 15 Juillet 2017

Rooms were nice and clean, with fridge and microwave. No problems with anything. Breakfast had a good variety of items and nice eat-in room with greenery outside. Wi-Fi was fast and no issues noted. A printer is available for printing any paperwork needed. Excellent proximity to restaurants: the Mi Casa restaurant was really good, as was the Best Western restaurant Grandma's Feather Bed down the road a few blocks.

"Great place to stay!"
kristenl289, 13 Juillet 2017

My friend and I stayed at the Best Western in Juneau the night before we began a multi-day camping trip. It was a great space with hotel rooms having easy access to the outside world. It was warm, dry, and clean! The breakfast was fantastic.

"Mouse in room"
12raymondr, 13 Juillet 2017

Curtesy van driver was insulting when he found out that we were from West Virginia saying that he would try not to use any "big" words so we would understand. Then when we checked into our room a mouse ran across the floor. Wife didn't get any sleep that night.

"Great Place~"
sundancer50, 12 Juillet 2017

Perfect stop for a layover. Highly suggest staying here. Great staff! Clean rooms. Didn't get to experience breakfast as our flight left so early. We would for sure stay here again. Didn't have a lounge, but there is one next door and a Mexican restaurant.

"Just what we needed"

We were met at the ferry and given a charming upstairs room after eating our fresh chocolate chip cookie....very friendly and accommodating staff....everything in the room....good wifi.......out of town but shuttle goes there

"Vacation Juneau"
A9039IZtammyc, 07 Juillet 2017

I enjoyed my stay at the Best Western Juneau! For value it could not have been better! Rooms where nice and clean and comfortable beds. Location for getting are and proximity to airport excellent! The only downside was it could be a little noisy at night, but I was located right by the stairs and as you enter the back side of hotel at night. Overall a great place to stay!

"Refreshingly classy hotel in Juneau"
beachkwilter, 03 Juillet 2017

Very attractive and comfortable rooms; quiet; updated room with very modern linens and furniture. Great breakfast included. Rooms have small refrigerators, stovetop and sink. No cookware or eating utensils. A disadvantage is no elevator; when you have heavy luggage or adventure equipment, it can be a challenge to get upstairs.

"Very close to airport with free shuttle service"
slhenry, 01 Juillet 2017

Getting the shuttle from the airport to the hotel was very easy, and not more than a few minutes drive. The room I had was a standard 1-bed motel room, but was very clean and comfortable. ( I was traveling with another family who had a 2-bed room just downstairs from me.) The continental breakfast had plenty of variety to satisfy most anyone. We had very friendly staff who were able to recommend some things for us to do in town. And arranging for the shuttle to take us back to the airport was also easy and convenient. We ended up taking several taxi rides as some of the places we wanted to visit were not convenient to regular shuttle or bus routes, so next time I'd be happy to rent a car and be able to go where I wanted when I wanted.

"Located very close to the Airport"
Trav5316, 30 Juin 2017

The staff at the front desk was friendly and the check-in process was smooth. We were located in the same area assigned to the couple that we were traveling with. The rooms were relatively spacious and clean. All the amenities that were listed in the motel website were present and functional. The complimentary breakfast was a notch above average. There are several restaurants close to the motel. A slightly more ambitious walk would take one to the Mendenhall Mall. This motel is conveniently located very near the Juneau airport. It is also about 5 miles from the Alaska Marine Highway Terminal, and roughly 8 miles from the historic section of Juneau. The motel offers shuttle service to all three of the locations named above. This service could relieve the typical tourist from the necessity of renting a car. Our experience was that the shuttle leaving the motel to the airport or historic Juneau always left on time. There was one case where more people opted to use the shuttle than could fit in the vehicle. The staff's answer was to send another vehicle a few minutes early with those guests who were present at the moment and the second vehicle left on the scheduled time. No one left the motel late. The return to the motel did not work as well. We experienced long delays in both of our pick-up events. In one case, there was a plausible explanation, but communications could have been improved. In the other case, the staff simply dropped the ball. That can happen from time to time, but reiterating the pick-up process to guests, who have followed the process exactly, merely rubs salt in the wound. Reading other reviews indicates that our problems may have been a temporary aberration. If I were to visit Juneau again, I would probably still choose this motel. The positives outweighed the negatives.

saundra64, 23 Juin 2017

A great place to stay...I give it 5 stars!! We would definitely stay here anytime we are in Juneau!! Staff could not have been anymore helpful...breakfast was great every morning both at 5 am and even at 9:45 am !!

"awesome relaxing time"

is was great time at the hotel the bed was a little hard for my taste but everything else was awesome amenities were a great joy thank you for a real relaxing time the cookies were great too the fre breakfast was perfect

"Close to airport & has shuttle service"
JoAnn H, 14 Juin 2017

I gave this hotel a "very good" rating due to it's proximity to the airport, it's shuttle service and the fact that they offer breakfast. The rooms were neat and clean, the shuttle was great but the breakfast was just your basic hotel convenience food topped with some under cooked bacon and overcooked eggs.

Overall a very nice motel, cleaner than some 4+ star places we have stayed, very nice complementary breakfast, friendly staff but I was very specific when booking that I needed a connecting room. The person I spoke with at the hotel assured me it was not a problem. When we checked in, they said they don't have connecting rooms. Then they said they don't allow people to use the doors. The one in our room worked fine, we just weren't placed next to our kids. I would stay again, just miffed about the mis-information from multiple people.

"Needs improvement"
AlfalfaAnchorageAK, 07 Juin 2017

Made reservations early in February for two rooms in June. The four of us traveling together got here at 3:15, and one room wasn't ready until 4. Not a big problem, but the front desk seems to still be working out the bugs for handling the summer tourist season. They put our friends on the 2nd floor of one section of the hotel, and us on the first floor on the other side of the hotel. We couldn't be placed farther apart, which seems odd. Anyway, we'll be coming back to this hotel for a 2-night stay mid-month, after which I will revise my assessment, IF warranted.

"Restful sleep, clean, updated, respectable continental breakfast. Excellent location."
Lanamamaomaha, 05 Juin 2017

We enjoyed our three night stay at the motel. Our room was on the backside, first floor. It was quiet and comfortable. The hotel room was decorated nicely and colorfully. Not a large room, but perfect for an adventure vacation in Juneau. It is a great midpoint for Mendenhall Glacier and the downtown area, with close proximity to the airport. The kids loved the Juno Froyo that was just around the corner, across from McDonald's. We would highly recommend this for a great Juneau vacation. One note, the evening staff guy could have been a little friendlier. Everyone else was super friendly.

"Accommodation "
Olive W, 02 Juin 2017

Excellent quality accommodation, rooms had excellent quality facilities, superior breakfast inclusion. Excellent service by courtesy vans and drivers. Because the Inn is about 10km out of town the van service was appreciated. We were driven to a nearby pharmacy and collected later for specific needs.

"Great Airport Location"
Frbill92, 30 Mai 2017

I stayed at this hotel on two separate occasions. In general I was very pleased with hotel. Let me first highlight the positives. There is free shuttle service from the airport to the hotel and the airport is only about 2 minutes away. It's a great location if you are traveling by the State Ferry which is only about 5 minutes away. The city, however, is quite a distance from the hotel although there is shuttle service regularly offered into town if you do not have a car. When I called for the shuttle from the airport he was there within 5 minutes. The second time I stayed the front desk service was great. He was fast and courteous and answered all my questions. The first night, the clerk on duty was not nearly as helpful and seemed put out by a few questions. The rooms are nice and comfortable with all the amenities. The internet is relatively fast. There is a fridge and microwave in the room. The beds are comfortable and it was very clean. Biggest problem is that there is no elevator or way to get your luggage from the ground level to second floor. It's especially hard if you have a large suitcase that you will fight getting it up the narrow stairs. There are not restaurants in the area except for an overpriced Mexican restaurant next door and a McDonalds about 1/2 mile away so without a car you are limited. In general I was pleased and it was reasonably priced at about $160 per night which is pretty good for Juneau. Having stayed at several places in Juneau, this is one of the best motels for the money.

"A most pleasant stay"
Ronald T, 30 Mai 2017

We had never been to Juneau from Gig Harbor, WA. Our granddaughter's wedding brought us here. It was a four day event for us. We did as much as we could within that time period, including whale watching ( best day ever); trip up the tram, walking downtown Juneau, attending Mass at the downtown Cathedral; and back and forth to the wedding camp at the Methodist camp ground about 20 miles away. We has good food, nice accommodations centrally located, and an experience that well always be remembered.

"Clean hotel, friendly staff"
Susan D, 29 Mai 2017

This is a modest but clean and comfortable hotel. We had a suite which was perfect--we stocked the fridge with snacks and beverages and saved money on going out to eat. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Because of its location near the airport, there's a free shuttle into town (15 minutes away) which has a convenient schedule. We definitely didn't need a car. We took a taxi to the nearby Mendenhall Glacier, but other than that we used the shuttle. Hotels are limited and expensive in Juneau (we think because most tourists come in on those floating hotels known as cruise ships), and this is a great option.

"overnight stay"
Frank907983, 29 Mai 2017

This is one of the best places to stay in the Mendenhall Valley, Juneau, Alaska. You will find many area locals here and it is quite popular when Alaskans come to Juneau. The breakfast is outstanding. When I was there they had bacon, scrambled eggs, biscuits, sausage gravy, toast, cereal, fruit, juices, coffee, milk. They have free van service for airport and ferry terminal.

525nadjag, 27 Mai 2017

was okay. the sink was clogged. the freezer in room didn't work. nor did the microwave. I've stayed in the past. but seems to be needing more cleaning. i loved the over all stay wish they would clean better though.

"Clean with great breakfast"
FunSeeker75, 24 Mai 2017

Was here about a week ago. My first time to Juneau. Overall clean room and very clean bathroom. Comfortably furnished. Check in staff very helpful. I thought breakfast was very good compared to many other places I have stayed. Cookies in the evening. Would definitely stay here again. Our room tended to heat up as the night wore on, so I would suggest keeping the thermostat a little lower than you might like when you go to bed.

"Everything is relative"
Bryce G, 23 Mai 2017

In any place but Juneau, this property would just be average...for Juneau, I can understand why lots of folks rate it higher. This is, after all, the last frontier. I concur that the staff we met were polite and helpful; the room was clean if a bit dated; the bed was very comfortable; the complementary breakfast was decent and a cut above the typical fare of pre-packaged pastries. There is some noise from the airport, especially in the early morning. Plumbing noises, e.g., the next room showering, and sleeping noises, e.g., the next room snoring seemed to happen a lot. Guest laundry is a nice feature - actually washed and dried on one set of quarters.

"Alaska Synod Assembly ELCA"
User, 29 Avril 2017

Visiting for the Alaska ELCA Synod Assembly. The hotel is clean and we'll maintained. They offer a very good complementary breakfast. The food is well prepared. A shuttle service is offered that will pick you up at the airport and also take you about town. The staff is uniformly helpful and friendly.

"Very nice hotel"
terrysH7814OA, 28 Avril 2017

The staff is very professional and helpful and the location is good for doing business in the valley. The hotel is clean and well maintained. The rooms are comfortable and the beds are good. Breakfast was average - nothing to brag about but also nothing to complain about either. All in all a nice place to stay.

"Good Nights Sleep"
Njbearhunter1, 23 Avril 2017

Stayed here one night before flying out the next day. Close to the airport, very quite, and clean room. I was by myself so I stayed in a room with a queen size bed that was very comfortable. The room is small but served my purpose well. Staff is extremely friendly and their shuttle service will take you and pick you up just about anywhere you want to go in town. I would highly recommend.

"I Always stay here when in Juneau. "
User, 21 Avril 2017

The beds are wonderful. The pillows are plentiful. I have been staying at this Best Western for the better part of 10 years and am never disappointed. The breakfast offered is filling and more than I need. They always provide excellent customer service. The shuttle is great.

"BW Country Lane Inn -- Juneau Alaska"
Robert A, 15 Avril 2017

Comfortable, clean, good breakfast with convenient hours. Good convenient location. Quiet. Parking leaves something to be desired. Excellent beds. Close to shopping and airport. We will definitely stay there again. Much, MUCH higher quality than Super 8, with comparable rates.

"Great place to stay"
469greggk, 12 Avril 2017

Good place to stay. The shuttle service and breakfast makes this my favorite place to stay in Juneau. The staff has been friendly every time I've stayed. The only negative I have is the soundproofing between rooms isn't the best, but positives outweigh the negatives by a lot.

"3 day stay"
jenniferpH4980BW, 08 Avril 2017

Came to Juneau for medical services, stayed 3 days. Well worth the cost and will definately stay again. Check in in the evening and the staff was very friendly. Only issue that occurred was there was not adequate parking available.

"Close to the Airport, Clean and Safe"
renaypan, 04 Avril 2017

Landed very late into Juneau due to weather; although the BW shuttle driver wasn't available due to illness, the front desk man very pleasantly instructed me to just take a cab and they would pay for it (which they promptly did). Nice, clean room with small kitchenette and Keurig machine. This property is very close to the airport. Although I was only there one night, I would definitely stay again the next time I'm in Juneau.

"Very helpful staff"
Jo B, 02 Avril 2017

I stayed here for a week and found my room to be adequate and sufficient. I was assigned to #115 and have no major complaints except to suggest the mattress in this room could be replaced by a newer one and firmer one and I would have been happier. Maybe by the next time I come to Juneau this will have occurred. I did eat the complimentary breakfast every morning and it covered all the basics with a variety of choices, very well. The check in process went smoothly and whenever I needed to interact with a front desk person I found friendly attitudes and knowledgeable personnel. I have stayed at this Best Western three or four times now over the course of a few years and I have no reason to switch my business to another property.

"Love the beds"
robertbF390SU, 01 Avril 2017

I really loved the beds and the breakfast and would recommend the place. Close to the airport and have a shuttle van. Only downside was the a few loud people in the early morning, but that is par for a hotel.

"Lots of Extras!"
Phillip S, 17 Novembre 2016

Traveling in Alaska can be challenging, even in the most noteable cities. There are no Ritz Carltons so I am doing this evaluation based on what else is available in Juneau. This BW Country Inn has reliably comfortable and clean beds, with a buffet breakfast that will get you on your way for either business or pleasure. The staff is exceptionally accommodating, including assisting with your late night flight and ferry services. Room Service is available through nearby Grandma's Feather, or walk to either a nearby Mexican or American restaurant. Shuttle service is available to downtown, the airport, or ferry. My wife joined me on this trip, and was taken very good care of in her siteseeing. Lots of information in the comfortable lobby on local attractions. WiFi served us well.

"Very nice"
spencers1621, 02 Novembre 2016

Very clean, comfortable rooms. Really good breakfast buffet. We stayed one night, went to Skagway for two nights, and they let us store unseeded gear till we returned for one more night. The shuttle to downtown, airport and Auke bay was always convenient and on time. They were restricted from taking us to Mendenhall glacier. Would stay again!

"Great place to stay near JNU airport! Stayed here twice for 2 nights coming and going to/from Juneau."
Fred F, 27 Octobre 2016

Hotel is very close to the airport, has excellent shuttle service to airport and other nearby venues. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful, ready to offer assistance and make recommendations. Breakfast is well presented, very ample and broad selection. Breakfast is served very early (5am) to accommodate tour goers and early flight patrons.

"Great Replacement for Super 8"
Robert A, 26 Octobre 2016

The hotel is located in a very quiet neighborhood. We had no noise from adjoining rooms, although both adjoining rooms were occupied. Our room had very comfortable beds. The hotel provided an excellent breakfast, and a great range of services. We were VERY satisfied with our overall experience there. From now on, Best Western is our hotel of choice when we travel to Juneau.

"Shuttle from State Ferry dock is a helpful amenity"
onecity62, 22 Octobre 2016

This is a clean, well-managed hotel that offers a free breakfast and shuttle service to local attractions. It's walking distance from the airport, but since there aren't many flights of large jets in and out of Juneau, airport noise is not a problem. If you're arriving at or leaving from the Alaska State Ferry dock, the hotel's shuttle is very useful.

"Great hotel"
Mike L, 21 Octobre 2016

Great staff and courtesy shuttle is a great feature. Breakfast was very tasty. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are small but comfortable and the grounds were immaculate with flowers everywhere. Enjoyed the Ravens on the property.

"Very comfortable with great breakfast"
SnowyShasta, 15 Octobre 2016

We stayed here for 2 nights on a trip to Juneau. We were very happy with our selection. The rooms were comfortable and had plenty of space. The breakfast was amazing - lots of options, including hot food and delicious biscuits. We also used the guest laundry which was convenient to our room and finished in a reasonable amount of time. The location is very convenient to the airport; a quick shuttle ride or you could literally walk. We were also about halfway between downtown Juneau and Mendenhall Glacier; since we had a car it was easy to get to either. Overall we were very glad we chose to stay here.

"Great Hotel"
Emily F, 15 Octobre 2016

The Best Western in Juneau has some of the most hospitable staff, clean rooms/comfortable rooms, and filling complementary breakfast! I look forward to business trips that bring me to Juneau so I can stay here.

"Clean room and great breakfast"
Susan J, 12 Octobre 2016

My husband and I stayed at the Country Lane Inn for Columbus Day weekend. The staff was friendly and helpful. My name has a knee replacement and cannot climb stairs, yet. The hotel accommodated us with a first floor room. The hotel has no elevator. We enjoyed the great hot breakfast. I liked the bacon and scrambled eggs and my husband enjoyed the biscuits and gravy.

"Great Employees"
traveldeede, 10 Octobre 2016

Our experience started with our pickup at the Juneau airport, the driver was friendly and helpful. We arrived several hours before check in and had 2 rooms reserved. One of our rooms was ready so they gave us the keys and would let us know when the other room was available, we got the keys to the 2nd room within a half hour. The maid was friendly and gave us extra towels and coffee, he would have given us anything else on his cart that we wanted. The 2 guys at the front desk were friendly and very helpful. We wanted to take the bus to downtown Juneau and they helped us with the schedule and showed us where the stop was (across the street - very convenient). We were back about 4 times asking questions, which they very pleasantly answered for us. At checkout the same 2 guys were on duty and it was no problem to split the bill of the 2 rooms amongst the 5 of us. Very good experience, nice hotel and very convenient. They could get a new mattress for the rollaway - LOL - it was kind of like torture.

"Excellent!"
garywc, 09 Octobre 2016

Upon a friends recommendation we canceled our reservation at another hotel and booked this one. We were very surprised, this place is top notch. I wish we had booked it for our other stay a week earlier. Hotel is spotless clean, rooms are very nice and very clean with power outlets if you need to work and good wifi. Lobby area is also good and while we had to leave before breakfast there were already items out like fruit etc... We will definitely book this hotel on our next stay and is only 2 minutes from the airport. Staff was also friendly and very helpful. Free shuttle from the ferry or airport.

"Stayed here for layover, going to Skagway and coming back from Skagway."
Mary_the_tourist, 02 Octobre 2016

we had a terrific experience both times staying here. Hotel shuttle comes within 10 minutes. Hotel is very close to the airport. Do not call for shuttle until you have your luggage. Breakfast is good and plentiful. The hotel review doesn't do it justice. Much more than a continental. Breakfast ladies were so nice to crisp up my husband's bacon. We used the shuttle many times to go downtown. It comes back downtown for the last time of the day at 7:15, so don't miss it. We missed it one night and had to take a taxi, and it was $30. Back to the hotel. The shuttle drivers are very nice and talkative, if you want to talk. We stayed upstairs, (no elevator, but just 2 floors),1st stay and downstairs, the way back to Juneau. Rooms are adequate, but my advice would be do not stay near the stairs. People leaving for early morning flights going up and down stairs, and people arriving on later flights at night going upstairs is annoying. Otherwise, very quiet hotel.

"Good stay with great access to airport"
Nathan I, 01 Octobre 2016

Stayed here for a week. All staff were friendly and had lots of advice on the surrounding areas regarding sightseeing. The free Breakfast was rather impressive. If I'm ever in the area, I'm using this location again.

"Best Western Country Lane Inn, Juneau, ALASKA"
Ann H, 29 Septembre 2016

Wonderful stay at Best Western Country Lane Inn in Juneau, AK. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The shuttle service is the best in town. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. Love having Keurig coffee available in the room. We will always try to stay with Best Western Country Lane Inn when we need to stay in Juneau.

"Great layover hotel, very friendly and helpful staff!"
aadm1110, 14 Septembre 2016

We flew into Juneau on the way to Skagway. Very convenient to the airport, almost across the street. Beautiful setting and really nice, homey hotel. We were there in July and the flower baskets displayed all around the outside really set the atmosphere. No elevator, so if you have much luggage, be sure to ask for the 1st floor. We had a single king room and it was small but very nice. Might be a bit tight for a longer stay, but perfect for our needs. Breakfast is good, although not exactly what you would call an Alaskan he-man offering. Really no complaints about the food, but I do wish that they would supply regular sized paper plates not the little 6-7" side dish size plates. Almost made you feel like they were encouraging you to eat less. Not really an issue for concern, though. We stayed again on the way back home a couple of weeks later. We arrived late on the way up there and had eaten at the Seattle Airport so the only shuttle service that we needed was to the ferry the next morning. The shuttle driver was a local native and one of the nicest people you would ever care to meet. I am sorry that I did not get his name, but I did get a picture and will include with this review. He stopped at a place where we could get a great view of the Mendenhall Glacier and gave us some local information. My guess is that you could sit and listen to him all day about his and his tribes history in the area and wish that you had another day to listen to more. On our way back we arrived early enough to take the shuttle to Juneau where we had the chance to walk around the tourist area and ate dinner at 'The Hanger' (review coming). We had a different driver this time and he was very helpful and friendly as well. Our first driver took us to the airport the next morning and the only problem was that the airport is so close that we didn't really have much time to talk! If we ever go back up, we would certainly stay here again!

"Very clean and quiet, with friendly, helpful staff, breakfast and shuttle"
tanager2016, 10 Septembre 2016

The shuttle picked us up right away from the airport with a very friendly driver. The room was updated, clean and quiet. The friendly employee in the lobby helped us find our way into the downtown area and told us where to pick up the hotel shuttle after we had dinner. The people at the desk were very helpful and friendly as well. The room felt luxurious after spending three nights at Glacier Bay National Park, where the bathroom needed some updating and there was no refrigerator or microwave.

"A welcome rest after air travel"
RetiredSecretary, 09 Septembre 2016

After in-flight and plane transfer for most of the day, we arrived. This spot is so quiet and beautiful and away from town. The floral hanging pots by the outside bottom corridor and on the fence are so colorful and lush. The bed and room were very comfortable. Later in the afternoon is a plate of warm cookies for you in the lobby. People come to sit in the lobby and read and use the computer. Big window outside where you see evergreen trees, which are lit up in white lights at night. Too bad I didn't reserve 6 months before. We could only spend 2 nights here. Percy is a great van driver who recommended we see the Tracy Fjord. Thank you again and again. It was great. A van goes into town on the odd hour. (I clicked only very good on the service, but it was for the housekeeper. There were whiskers remaining on the bathroom counter. You can't see them on the dark counter, but I always wipe every counter when I arrive, and there they were on my little cleaning cloth. The service at the desk was superb! Enjoyed the breakfast and me wonderful travelers who guided us to a museum. The husband was going home for a wedding.

"Reliable, quality lodging"
Steven H, 09 Septembre 2016

This is my preferred lodging when I travel to Juneau, whether on business or personal travel. It is consistently high quality and was so on this trip. Check in was efficient. Room was clean and all amenities were functional and in good repair,

"Probably my worst Stay here ever"
Daniel K, 07 Septembre 2016

Well this is just a terrible ending to what was a awesome 2 weeks. Just on my way back from a long work trip and I begged to stay at this hotel. This is where I love to stay while traveling thru Juneau, it's normally 5's across the board while staying here. But this stay started off with a Bang, I am traveling with a different company than who normally does my travel and they gave the hotel the wrong day by 2-3 days. The front desk lady did not even attempt to try move the room I had reserved under the company card to my stay last night (which could just be company policy). Now if that was the end it would've been a decent stop still, but it wasn't, been traveling all day on my way back from Hawaii so I was tired. Woke up the next day and getting ready to shower to get ready to fly out so I can finally head home, get to the shower and no water, there was a water break somewhere. They didn't inform anyone in the hotel, but just waited for people in their rooms to call and ask what's up. So the summary from this stay was, the front desk workers didn't even try to help me out with the problem of a wrong check in date and I was Not Able to take a Shower during my stay...but hey let me still Charge You Full Price for your stay. Oh and my bathroom was also pretty interesting experience, it came with a bath mat in it, which was still wet from the previous person staying in the room. Why yes,I was really hoping to get my socks wet while using the bathroom. The Only Upside's were the Driver's were on point like always and the breakfast was awesome. The water situation was beyond their control, I'm just disappointed in their lack of communication with the people staying in the hotel. 8 out of 10 times everything runs smoothly with this hotel, this was not one of those stays, so please keep this Hotel in mind while looking for somewhere to stay.

"small & quaint"
Ellen C, 06 Septembre 2016

I was very pleased with our stay here.Breakfast gets 5 stars!!Place is slightly dated but clean & they have hot coffee in the lobby 24/7!The shuttle runs to town & took us to the movie theater one night.Sergio, our driver, was great. Our room had a small kitchenette w sink, stove & fridge -no pans for stove though.Don't expect modern & sleek!More homey.

"Nice place"
Potts44, 06 Septembre 2016

The hotel is nice, clean and the beds a re comfortable. The only drawback is that the rooms are a tad small but not a big issue. Staff was friendly, shuttle service is a must if you don't rent a car. The breakfast is very good, eggs bacon and sausage gravy

"Very comfortable, great staff"
Judy B, 05 Septembre 2016

We stayed 1 night after flying in to Juneau for a cruise departing the next day. This is very close to the airport and we were embarrassed that we got a taxi from the airport because the fare was only $5. We somehow missed that a shuttle could pick us up. The shuttle also provides service to downtown Juneau which is a nice amenity. The hotel is close to the highway and was pretty noisy. The staff were very helpful and nice. The rooms were comfortable but need updating.

"Close to airport and..."
samaH3992AR, 04 Septembre 2016

Close to airport; hotel shuttle takes two minutes. Great breakfast with eggs, bacon, oatmeal, yogurt, breads, muffins, fruit... Only down side is that it's a 15 min drive into downtown Juneau. But the counter to that for dinner is that it's a two-block walk to its sister BW hotel, Grandma's Feather Bed, where we had a good dinner.

"Country Lane Inn"
CharinCorpus, 03 Septembre 2016

I enjoyed staying at this motel. They have a great breakfast if you like to eat breakfast. The rooms are small so get a suite if you can. The suite was nice and we had a television in the bedroom and in the living room. The front desk staff was very helpful. We rented a car but they do have a shuttle that will take you downtown and to the airport. We did take the shuttle a few times and the drivers were very helpful. There is one driver that is very rude and does not open the door for you or set the step stool for you to get in. They also have a guest laundry which is nice.

"Great staff; comfy, small rooms; excellent breakfast"
Peg S, 02 Septembre 2016

We spent eight days here and found the inn to be pretty and very comfortable. The desk staff were great, in particular, Clark knew lots about the local hiking trails and recommended several other things to see and do. Our room had two queen beds and was on the small side but worked fine for two of us. It included a small fridge, microwave, Keurig, iron, and ironing board. The bathroom was tiny, but again, with only two of us in the room it worked fine. We like firm beds and the bed was comfortable once we removed the extra pillow top. The hotel serves breakfast from 5 to 10, with lots of nice options: oatmeal, cold cereal, cereal toppings like dried fruit and nuts, eggs, bacon, biscuits, gravy, French toast, breads, a little fresh fruit, juice, coffee, etc. A nice surprise was soy milk and almond milk. We were visiting folks who live in the Mendenhall Valley and this was a great location - also close to the airport and shopping, with easy access to Mendenhall glacier. The hotel has a guest laundry.

"Comfortable hotel in Mendenhall Valley area of Juneau, AK"
yvs100, 02 Septembre 2016

We stayed for 4 nights in one of the two queen bed rooms in this hotel on last leg of our recent trip to Alaska. The hotel is located in the Mendenhall Valley area of Juneau, AK - so it is far from downtown Juneau. But this means that the airport is very close and also a taxi ride to Mendenhall Glacier is around $15 one way, but all other happening places in Juneau are far from this location. The hotel runs complementary airport shuttle as well as a shuttle to downtown on the hour every two hours during the day. Between the complementary shuttle and the taxi rides we were able to explore the Juneau area quite well. They also have complementary continental breakfast in the morning and cookies in the evening. The staff was helpful and courteous. FYI: 1. The Juneau city public transit but charges flat fee of $2 per adult per ride and $1 per child per ride. The drivers carry no cash so you have to carry exact change. There is a bus stop close to this hotel and there is a route the runs between the downtown and Mendenhall valley area. It takes around 40 minutes to reach the hotel from downtown using the public transit bus. 2. Juneau generally is cheaper than Anchorage, Seward area of Alaska

"Good Stay & Service"
pec95, 30 Août 2016

We were quite happy with out stay here in late August. Although a bit pricey, you get what you pay for - the continental breakfast is better than average, and the front counter personnel were quite helpful. The bed was comfortable, and fridge larger than normal. We were given a late check-out and assistance with change for laundry. Recommend.

"Great stay"
Anne F, 30 Août 2016

Large room, comfortable stay. It is located a short drive from ferry and airport with good shuttle service. At first I was sceptical as it is a motel style hotel but it was a great one night stay before flying home. Fantastic breakfast for a chain hotel. Price is very high but I guess all hotels in Juneau area are expensive. I would recommend it.

"Decent Motel, Great Personnel"
Semibum, 30 Août 2016

The accommodations are fine. It is a more or less typical mid-range motel set-up that would rate as an Average+. We visited in the summer. I can see that the outside walkway could be a little brisk in winter, but in summer it is not an issue. The hotel offers a shuttle service that is a very nice amenity. Airport and ferry Terminal just about on demand and scheduled hourly to and from downtown Juneau. The personnel, front-desk and shuttle drivers, made it a 4 rating for us. We arrived early with the Ferry from Bellingham. Shuttle pick-up was fast and the driver was friendly (and would do a pretty good job as a comic if he was looking for a second career). The front desk did everything possible to get us into our rooms early, even though the hotel was fully occupied the prior night. Throughout our stay the various front desk attendants were very helpful and friendly and helped make our stay great - Alaskan Hospitality!

"Overnight stop"
mariposaw, 29 Août 2016

We stayed here before taking an Un-Cruise trip and it was just what we needed. The staff were very helpful especially the young shuttle driver. He took us to Glacier Gardens in time for the last trip and picked us up after it had finished. There was a little confusion on the morning as we had been told the shuttle would leave at 10:00 but this did not happen and the staff had changed so we had to get a taxi because we did not feel like hanging around for an hour for the next shuttle. In fairness I do not know if they had a shuttle time table anywhere and perhaps I could have looked but if they do not then it would be a suggestion to have one. So good stay.

"Nice hotel near airport"
Kurt M, 28 Août 2016

Room was quiet and comfortable, complimentary breakfast was good and substantial, and the shuttle service is quite generous. Front desk staff were helpful and accommodating. Provides shuttle service to the state ferry also.

"First time to Alaska "
PoppieTom, 28 Août 2016

Stayed here 4 nights, breakfast was good, room clean. They provide courtesy vans downtown which we used twice. Would definitely recommend. Convenient location to airport and very short distance to downtown. Clark was very courteous and attentive.

"Good Hotel, outside city center"
StefanS71, 23 Août 2016

During our trip through Alaska, we stayed at the BW while we were in Juneau. We were also looking for a hotel close by the Airport as we were leaving early in the morning. The Airport is nearly across the street, and you can reach it in a few min. The hotel also offers a shuttle bus service. But there was no significant or disturbing noise due to the airport, also as there are not that many flights. The hotel is located about 10 to 15min drive from the city center, so you are away from the real busy area with all the cruise ships. They check in service was quick, the staff was friendly. Our room was a good size with the sink outside the bathroom, a nice niche with a table two chairs and a small closet, a small kitchenette with microwave, sink and fridge, and a small table top with two chairs. The rooms were very clean and they honored our do not disturb sign. Breakfast was good, the breakfast area a bit small. You could hear some noise from the neighbors and from above. So the insulation was not that great. It seems also that a lot of people are leaving early for the airport (as we did) so you could hear noise early in the morning.

"Best Western Country Lane Inn, Juneau, ALASKA"
Ann H, 23 Août 2016

We have stayed here multiple times and have always found the facility to be clean and comfortable. It is within easy access to the airport, ferry, and downtown. The staff has always gone out of their way to make us welcome and comfortable. It is our favorite place to stay in Juneau.

"Disappointed "
Utahtami, 22 Août 2016

After the glowing reviews I would have to say I was a bit disappointed. The room was nice. Housekeeping set and left the bathroom trash can INSIDE my suitcase with my clothes. With the exception of the woman at the front desk on my last morning, the personnel were unhelpful at best.

"Good location for the airport"
flomap, 22 Août 2016

We stayed for 4 nights at this BW. It was very clean and nicely decorated. I loved the hanging baskets along the walkways. The rooms had both a microwave and refrigerator which we liked. The breakfast area is a bit small but the food was plentiful and they started serving much earlier that most places which was very convenient the day we took a boat to Tracy Arms. There were a couple of downsides to this property that we discovered. It is an older building and the sound reverberates pretty easily, especially in the middle of the night. I decided that due to its proximity to the airport there were a number of guests getting up very early to catch 6 am flights. We could hear people walking around overhead and water in the plumbing every night we were there. The rooms are a bit tight but they have a lot in them. The lighting in the rooms is excellent and the wifi good. All in all, this property served us well and we were away from the fray in town with all of the cruisers.

"I'd stay here again"
skiingak, 16 Août 2016

Very friendly shuttle driver and good front desk staff. Room was very clean, comfortable and no issues. Used my AAA card and got a decent rate - in summer... I will stay here again in the future. I think the early morning/late shuttle service is fantastic and the cookies were a nice touch.

"North to Alaska"
James S, 15 Août 2016

Loved the room; nice TV and expansive coverage. Really loved the breakfast! Great scrambled eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, yogurt, oatmeal - more than enough to get the day started off right. Oh yeah, the coffee was terrific, too. And, when we checked in there were the warm chocolate chip cookies. The only downside was hauling our luggage up and down stairs; an elevator would have been nice.

"Breakfast and shuttle availability was wonderful."
msfigment, 14 Août 2016

Our room was very warm and even though they had an oscillating fan, it was hard to cool down with the rain other than leaving a door open to the outside when we were in our room. The breakfasts were a nice addition to our trip. The shuttle taking us to town, airport, ferry, etc. was nice. I will say that a few of the shuttle drivers needed some training though. One we felt unsafe with. In addition to being unsafe with this driver, he was not friendly or helpful. Another driver also lacked in the friendly and helpful arena. No help getting in and out the van. One did not put out the step stool to assist in getting in and out. Neither assisted any of us in getting in or out. I would use their names but management can contact me if they want to know. It was nice to have laundry right there. We did laundry a couple of times during our stay.

"A decent place to stay & close to the airport"
Traveling_jim49, 11 Août 2016

We had traveled to Gustavus and needed a place to stay overnight in Juneau on our way to Sitka. We chose this hotel because it was 0.8 miles from the airport, had good reviews, and had a Mexican restaurant next door for a dinner meal. The reviews were spot on. This is an older (80's ?) hotel but is clean and well maintained. I have a bad back and the beds were too soft as most hotel room beds are but they accommodated me by supplying a rollaway bed mattress which I placed on the floor. This always works fine for me at the few hotels that supply them. The breakfast was posted as continental but they offered most breakfast items except for waffles. We easily made the right choice by booking this hotel.

"Very nice for this brand"
Courtney B, 09 Août 2016

I usually shun Best Western because they tend to be outdated and old. This was a pleasant surprise as the room was very large, with nice amenities. The style was still old and a bit worn, but this hotel had good service, and great for the airport accessibility . Good for a one night stay.

"Sanctuary from cruise ship craziness"
Mickirish, 09 Août 2016

Although located about 8 miles from downtown, the motel is a great base for exploring the city while avoiding the hordes of cruise ship passengers who overrun the streets of Juneau. At first I was concerned about booking a hotel so far from downtown, but I needn't have worried. We had two separate stays here during our recent trip. During those stays, the excellent free shuttle service picked us up and dropped us off at the Alaska Marine Highway Ferry terminal (even farther out of town in Auke Bay), dropped us downtown (scheduled shuttle service to and from downtown every two hours); dropped us and picked us up at Glacier Gardens on an on call basis, and finally dropped us at the airport. (The hotel shuttle no longer goes to Mendenhall Glacier because a day permit fee is now imposed per passenger beyond a certain point on the glacier access road, so a trip there required an exorbitant cab ride, as the public bus did not run on July 4.) Having experienced downtown when four cruise ships were in (a slow day, apparently, as up to six can dock on a given day), I had no desire to linger there, battling the crowds, much less stay in that area. Both rooms were clean, comfortable, and quiet. There was much to choose from at breakfast, including some hot items (eggs, bacon, French toast) and cookies in the evenings. We took advantage of the guest coin laundry. The only minor drawback was the lack of restaurants to choose from (again because of the holiday weekend only the Mexican place next door was open on July 4.) Front desk staff were always helpful. I appreciated the computer and printer in the lobby area for boarding pass printing. Wi-Fi is available in the rooms. We felt right at home at the Best Western Country Lane Inn.

"5star service"
Erik B, 09 Août 2016

We stayed here for 7 days. The shuttle service to and from the hotel was fantastic and punctual. They took us to and from the airport and they took us to and from downtown every other hour on the hour. No fee for this service. Some people did not call the hotel to let them know they would be at the downtown pickup and the hotel sent a second or third shuttle to accommodate the number of people needing a ride. The staff was always friendly and smiling. They were always present. The breakfast was standard free hotel breakfast. Eggs bacon biscuits gravy French toast milk (almond ,2%,skim) oatmeal with assorted toppings, coffee, tea and water, bananas and yogurt. The rooms were average. We had two double beds, a bar area with mini fridge, microwave and sink. Sink area /vanity for two. Toilet/shower and hanging closet with a safe. Small table with two chairs. This hotel is three minutes from the airport float planes and helicopters. Downtown Juneau is a short 10 to 15 minute ride in the shuttle. The hotel is close to many local restaurants and grocery stores. Mendenhall glacier and nugget falls are only 4 miles away. The largest fish area (Auke Bay/Harbor) is about seven minutes away. I found a large number of running trails about 1 mile from the hotel. They were paved in wooded off-road trails. They were gorgeous. You also have access to a gym that is approximately 1/2 mile from the hotel. I would definitely stay at this hotel again if given the opportunity to return to Juneau

"Clean, comfortable motel"
steveboone, 09 Août 2016

The room was clean, breakfast was fresh and the employees were friendly. We expect to return next year. The airport is only a couple of blocks away so we were able to drop our rental car the night before our return flight.

"Wonderful hotel"
Phyllis R, 08 Août 2016

Excellent service, clean comfortable rooms and good breakfast. Out of the center of town but the convenience of the van service makes it easy to get to town. We were picked up at the airport within 5 minutes of getting our luggage. Spent 2 days in Juneau and used van service each day. Staff at hotel was very helpful.

"Nice and clean, plus it is close to the airport"
Doug O, 06 Août 2016

Three guys on a fishing trip booked a night here on our way to Yakatat. It was a nice place to stay. We walked to a good Mexican restaurant and liked the proximity to the airport, plus they will pick you up and take you back to the airport. The only negative was, it was a bit noisy due to traffic but we would stay again.

"The best in Juneau!"
Stephanie M, 01 Août 2016

As you drive up to the hotel you see beautiful flower pots, full of vibrantly colored flowers. The lobby is comfortable and they always have hot tea or coffee available. Rooms are clean and nicely decorated and the employees helpful and friendly. All in all hard to beat! We have been visiting Juneau for the last four years and have always stayed at the Best Western Country Lane Inn.

"Juneau Best Western"
Tim K, 31 Juillet 2016

Within walking distance to the airport but 8 miles outside of city center. BW provides shuttle service into city center and back on a set schedule also pick up and drop off at airport. Staff very helpful. For you fisherman they have a walk-in freezer out back to store your fish until you leave. Rooms were good, alittle cramped but clean. Wifi was working and breakfast was good.

"Alaska comfort and extras!"
sandra f, 29 Juillet 2016

I stayed here for two days/nights as part of a long working trip. It is near the airport - walking distance but they have a free shuttle and come in five minutes! I stayed on second floor and had a one bedroom suite which was very spacious. Clean and tidy and comfortable. The pros: free breakfast that was substantial! Plenty of choices. Keurig in the room and coffee all day. Free computer in lobby for printing boarding passes. Working windows for fresh air in the room. Very helpful and polite staff - Sergio gave me water from his own supply! Walking distance to mini market (breezein) and a few restaurants. Free shuttle to the downtown area of Juneau. Cons: no elevator but they will take your bags up. No air conditioning but the windows open and they have a tall fan for circulation. Wifi was great!

"Great Service, Convenient to Ferry and Airport"
Joseph B, 28 Juillet 2016

We spent three days in Juneau after arriving by Alaska Marine Highway Ferry. The Country Lane Inn is an older, established place, but it is well maintained and has a great staff. They offer 24/7 shuttle service to the Ferry Terminal and Airport, which was really convenient since we arrive at 4 am and later needed to pick up a car. The shuttle also makes runs to and from downtown Juneau every few hours and arranges tours to local sights, so you can probably do without a car if you choose. Several restaurants are a short walk. We requested an early check-in and they were very accommodating. The staff were friendly and helpful and even assisted us with a printing problem when getting out boarding passes. Highly recommend this fine establishment if vacationing in Juneau.

"Suited to very one's needs."
Alice b, 28 Juillet 2016

The Best Western is a motel that serves it's guests they accommodate you by having a van at your disposal to be picked up at the airport, brought down town and any where within a circumference to help make your stay a better one. they have laundry at your disposal, refrig. in your room along with a microwave. It's close to the action of Juneau but now the noise that's in town. Wonderful Stay would go back again. They offer a great breakfast each day and coffee in the lobby, and we found chocolate chip cookies waiting for us when we came back.

"Traveling the US"
sskroll, 27 Juillet 2016

My husband and I stayed here the whole time we were in Juneau (8 days). There was a shuttle that picked us up at the Alaska State Ferry (even at 3:45 am) and dropped us back off when we left which was almost as early. Very friendly and helpful staff. They have a shuttle to downtown that goes once an hour and then will pick you back up until 7 pm. Very helpful as downtown is a few miles away. It is within walking distance of the airport and right on a bus line that will take you pretty much wherever you want to go in the area. The only disappointing thing was that our room was on the first floor right in front of where the van would leave for the day and also where a luggage storage room for guests was located. Could get a little noisy at times. The hotel was full for our entire stay so there wasn't availability to move and we adapted. About half way into our stay one of the washer/dryer combos in the laundry area went out so it made it a little bit of a challenge to wash clothes with so many guests wanting to do the same thing. Even with the minor inconveniences we would stay here again.

"A quick airport run"
Pat E, 26 Juillet 2016

We stayed here one night before a very early morning flight out. It's located less than 5 minutes from the airport, so very convenient. Hotel was comfortable, and rooms were neat & clean but a bit 'tired.' Staff were helpful and friendly.... we arrived before check-in and the couple we were traveling with got into their room right away. We had to wait more than an hour. We were hoping the housekeeping staff might prioritize us as we were the only ones waiting - many of the rooms were in the process of being cleaned. Sadly, not the case. Like I mentioned, we were there before the official check-in time so can't really fault them. This is a two level hotel with no elevator. Although we didn't get to sample it, it looked like they offered a fairly comprehensive complimentary breakfast. I'd recommend this hotel if you want to be close to the airport, but not much to do around here. Would stay downtown Juneau next time.

"Comfortable Sleep and Great Breakfast"
Alaska4Ever, 26 Juillet 2016

Stayed at this property twice in the same trip. Close to the airport and friendly staff. Stayed on the 2nd floor in the rear of the building at the beginning our our trip. It was warm and there is no AC. Upon returning to our room that evening, we opened the windows and door. All was comfortable by the time we went to bed. Breakfast is served early. It has a good variety of hot and cold choices. The stay at the end of our Alaska trip was on the 2nd floor in the front of the building. You can hear the noise on the road but it did quiet down by the time we were ready for bed. This room seemed a bit more cramped than the first, but both were clean and comfortable.

"Disappointing-Expected Higher Quality"
janebE4699DY, 25 Juillet 2016

One night in Juneau on our way to Glacier Bay. Love staying at BW, but this one was disappointing. One of the most expensive properties we stayed at during almost 3 week travels in Alaska. Older property, dark room, gap between exterior door & frame showed daylight (apprx. 1/2 in). Fairly clean, lots of noise from outside & 2nd floor. Best part was liberal access to shuttle service. Front desk staff were friendly & accommodating front desk. Breakfast was good & served early AM. Worst part was a VERY RUDE shuttle driver in AM when we check out.

"Poor ventilation"
Tank09, 23 Juillet 2016

We were picked up from the airport, but on arrival found that the room we had been allocated on the upper level was exceptionally warm and lacking in an a/c. The small fan in the room struggled to cool the room down and therefore sleep was difficult. We stayed at the same motel two nights later and got a room downstairs which was far cooler than our previous room. We doubt we will ever be back however!

"Friendly staff, great breakfast!"
297Luv2travel, 22 Juillet 2016

We stayed here 4 nights. Comfortable, clean rooms. Friendly staff. Breakfast included oatmeal, eggs, breakfast meats, cold cereal, pastries, coffee, etc. My husband is gluten free and dairy free and they had dairy free "milk". Our room was a suite with a small living room and a kitchenette. 2 large flat screen TV's. Nice shower-good water pressure. plenty of towels. comfortable bed. There is no A/C so everyone had their windows open allowing others to see into your room, but somehow this didn't bother me. People were very respectful when passing by. I felt safe and didn't feel the need to worry about theft, etc. in the middle of the night with leaving the window wide open. Housekeeping did a very nice job.

"great hotel in Juneau"
BonnieH61, 22 Juillet 2016

Great place to stay in Juneau very close to airport and close to all major attractions. We had a car so everything was easily accessible. I do think they also have a shuttle. All hotel personel were very helpful and informative. Rooms were very clean. Would stay here again.

"Beautiful large suite"
Patricia B, 21 Juillet 2016

We stayed here for two nights at the end of a trip our Admiralty Island. We enjoyed staying here and appreciated the shuttle service to downtown and to the airport. We also appreciated the suggestions of the staff pertaining things to see and do. A free breakfast is provided and was more than sufficient for our appetites.

"Stay At Best Western"
Debbie A, 20 Juillet 2016

I have now stayed at Best Wester Country Lane Inn in Juneau, Alaska, three times. Each time the service was excellent and the room was clean. I like that there is in-room Internet service and there is a computer available in the lobby if you need one to print out boarding passes or just check your email. They have a lovely breakfast available each morning that is well rounded, and their coffee tastes great. I plan to stay at Best Western Country Lane Inn whenever I travel from Reno, Nevada, to Haines, Alaska. It is very close to the airport and they offer a shuttle service as part of the experience.

"Good and very convenient"
RFeynman, 19 Juillet 2016

Good (though not luxurious) rooms and breakfast, and very nice and kind owner. What makes it really convenient is that they have a shuttle that goes not just to the airport but also to downtown and some other places.

"Great Shuttle Service"
Susan B, 13 Juillet 2016

We had a limited time in Juneau and we were fretting about how we were going to get from one place to another and maybe having to spend a lot of money on cabs. Turns out this hotel picked us up and dropped us off at the ferry and even took us to a tourist site and to dinner. Excellent! The location is good if you want to be near the airport or ferry, but even if you don't, they provide a shuttle into town.

"stay in Juneau"
Francis R, 11 Juillet 2016

Great service, close to airport. The access to the shuttle service is great to get into downtown and the airport. The deepfreeze unit is a must for fishermen and those bringing seafood back to the loser 48.

"Great clean rooms, pleasant place to stay"
Chris T, 06 Juillet 2016

Great place to stay as it is close to both the ferry terminal and the airport. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the hotel shuttle bus can pick you up/take you to the airport, the ferry terminal, local shops, as well as the downtown Juneau area. The rooms were a little on the small side, but very clean and cosy. The room also had great WiFi, and the hotel has a guest laundry with two washers and two dryers. The included breakfast was really great, with a huge range of cold and hot food, a very hearty and wholesome way to start the day. Overall, this place was great value and a very clean, pleasant place to stay.

"Good basic option for an overnight or two in Juneau"
travelingmom74150, 03 Juillet 2016

This Best Western offers well-priced, clean, albeit small rooms, close to the airport and much closer to the ferry dock than downtown Juneau hotels. This was great for us, as we had an early morning ferry out. Although about 15 minutes from downtown, the hotel runs a free shuttle every two hours, as well as free transportation to the airport and ferry. It was easy to get downtown for dinner when we arrived, and activities the next day. Shuttle drivers are pleasant and helpful. The breakfast is pretty standard for this type of hotel. There is a guest laundry available, which we didn't use here, but can come in handy if you are coming out of the back country. All in all, a good value.

"Perfect for staying close to airport"
DT25, 03 Juillet 2016

Perfect stay close to airport (5 minute by shuttle). Comfortable room (no AC, but fan was fine). Walking distance to restaurants. Grabbed yogurt, fruit and muffin for breakfast before taking shuttle for early morning flight. We stayed at Grandma's Featherbed on the front end of the trip, which was nice because of the jetted tub, but if we returned we would stay at the Country Inn. The rooms are larger and it's a better value.

"First Class Service"
Janet S, 01 Juillet 2016

The staff at this hotel were very courteous, cheerful, and polite. We especially appreciated the suggestions for dinner and for hiking. The hotel is conveniently located close to the airport. This was important for us as we had a very early morning flight. The shuttle driver was ready at 5 am!

"Nice place near airport"
dogluverSanDiego, 01 Juillet 2016

I stayed here one night on my way home from Juneau. The hotel is clean and welcoming. The hotel had a 24 hour shuttle. Plus - clean - place to do your laundry - close to airport - free breakfast - professional staff - associated with grandmas feather bed hotel who has a restaurant and will deliver free of charge - by bus stop - 24 HR shuttle Minus - rooms on road side are loud - outside of town do would need car or taxi to get around. Can take bus to town for $2 Nice place near airport.

"Nice choice"
Patricia S, 30 Juin 2016

We were traveling with friends and grandchildren and were between ferry changes. It felt like it was recently updated---beautiful towels, helpful front desk and quiet location on the back of the hotel. We would select it on future travels. We were given paper sacks so we could select cold items for the road. Wish the yoghurt wasn't locked as that would have been a more healthy choice than a sweet roll. Probably not a good choice for someone wanting to be near downtown Juneau.

"Comfortable, clean, friendly"
HimeeG, 30 Juin 2016

A friend & I needed to overnight to catch an early morning ferry to a fishing lodge near Angoon. Recommendation from lodge was primarily for a Travelodge located next door to this place, but since I am a BW frequent-sleeper I opted for here instead. Turns out it was a great choice as we determined it was a nicer place than the competition, based on what we heard from many guests who stayed at the Travelodge. Shuttle here was prompt, arrived at airport in less the 5 minutes from my call to front desk, then volunteered to take us where we wanted downtown for dinner. Also, took us back to airport later so we could pick up our luggage which had been delayed onto another flight. Adam, the driver, was very willing and incredibly friendly. Rest of staff were nice also, and they put fresh cookies out in the evening, available for any who felt the urge. Room was large enough for both of us, not overly so, but adequate. Very clean & comfortable. Stove top was a bonus, not needed by us, though others staying more than one night could take advantage of and save a few $$$ byh not having to go to Alaska-expensive eats while staying.

"Very Comfortable Place to Stay"
BruceJ32406, 27 Juin 2016

We stayed here for 5 nights and were very impressed with the staff and the accommodations. I had requested in our reservations six months before for a ground floor room and when I checked in, the person at the desk said we were able to have a ground floor in the back of the hotel that was perfect and very quiet. The room was very comfortable with a very comfortable bed. The hotel staff bent over backwards to please you and provided directions and recommendations of places to see. The breakfast was excellent with a good selection of food ranging from eggs and bacon to cereals, etc. The one thing they could do is trim the tree that covers their sign as you are rounding a bend in the road and only see the sign when you are almost past the hotel.

"Comfortable, welcoming stay."
KathyF884, 25 Juin 2016

We stayed here for two nights & were warmly welcomed. Arriving late evening all restaurants were closed, however reception staff kindly organised for pizzas to be delivered to our room. The hotel is close to the airport & runs an efficient shuttle service to the airport, town centre & the cruise boat terminals. The hotel is a short drive to the Mendenhall glacier, ( we went by taxi) & a longer drive into the town. Use the shuttle. There are only a couple of restaurants near the hotel. The rooms were clean & comfortable with a small bathroom area. Shower over the bath. Staff were very helpful & shuttle drivers were keen to assist. We used the laundry room which was clean with two washing machines & two dryers.

"Can't do enough for you at Best Western Juneau"
NAnoneill, 25 Juin 2016

An excellent hotel with the best included breakfast. Staff can't do enough for you. Well appointed rooms with a very comfortable bed. Relaxed country atmosphere. Quick shuttle service to the hustle and bustle of town. Good restaurant next door.

"Pleasantly surprised."
RagsKP94, 22 Juin 2016

I booked this hotel for its proximity to the airport. I did not expect the great service, clean, big room that I got. The front desk staff were very friendly. Parking was a bit tight as the hotel was full but it was free. The room went from the front to the back of the building. There was a living area, full kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. The kitchen was not fully stocked with gear but did have a full refrigerator and oven. Everything was very clean.

"GREAT HOTEL EXCELLENT SERVICE In the Capital City"
manos6232, 18 Juin 2016

This hotel was great --- they pick you up at the airport, take you anywhere in town or to shopping or sites. The rooms are extremely well kept , very very clean, they are equipped with everything you would need including a fridge and microwave. The included breakfast of eggs and bacon and lots of other breakfast items was very good. Great coffee, and good K-cup coffee in rooms. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Went out of their way to make you feel comfortable, Always right on time for pick ups and shuttle service. Excellent place all around.

"Great Hotel!"
Martha B, 18 Juin 2016

We stayed at this hotel for two nights for a business/pleasure trip to Juneau. Very clean, comfortable, and convenient to the airport. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was very good and other than the noise from the highway, very quiet. There is no air-conditioning, and it was warm when we were there, but we understand that was unusual. We would stay there again if we're lucky enough to get back to Juneau in the future!

"Accommodation in Juneau, Alaska"
allano907, 18 Juin 2016

I am a travel agent. This place was recommended to me by family and friends. After my experience, I am recommending it to others. Bed and room is comfortable. Internet service is good. Decent breakfast, fresh baked chocolate chip cookies at night. I even got a bowl of cereal around 11pm one night when I asked for it [had this craving for cereal], plus shuttle van to and from town center, airport and ferry, .. all included with your room rate. Very good value!

"Unexpected, great motel close to the airport!"
jmclarkie2, 15 Juin 2016

From the outside of the building, the motel was a wonderful surprise! The rooms had many perks including keurig, microwave, mini fridge, iron, hairdryer, and comfy beds. The breakfast was a good mix of options such as oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, eggs, pastries, and French toast. The staff was helpful when needed and we were able to check in early. We didn't have the room cleaned every day but we're able to get more coffee pods and toiletries as needed. The airport is walkable, two of us walked from the airport to the hotel after dropping off the rental car. The walk felt safe and was only .4mile away, they do have a shuttle bus as well that you can schedule which we used when we had luggage.

"Well Managed, Comfortable Lodging"
Thoughful-Traveler, 15 Juin 2016

This motel is two blocks from the airport and walking distance to a number of restaurants. It's clean, comfortable and well managed. There is shuttle service to the airport and a hot breakfast every morning. The only drawback is that it is several miles to downtown. On the other hand, for those who wish to avoid the cruise crowds and who want a quiet location, that's a plus.

"Comfortable Juneau Stay"
dallasleeb, 12 Juin 2016

Lovely setting. Small rooms, that are expertly appointed, have good sized refrigerators, good location to include being in easy walking distance of a few restaurants, with pleasant and helpful staff. You will need a car to travel around the area at your own pace and to experience restaurant on Douglass Island and other locations.

"Nice and Decent"
Junior P, 08 Juin 2016

Stayed at this hotel last month. Very friendly professional staff. They offered a free shuttle to go down into juneau and also free shuttle to the airport. The room was super clean and bed was very comfortable. Housekeeping man was also very friendly Would highly recommend

"Very Accommodating"
David L, 05 Juin 2016

Near airport, about 3 miles from town. Very comfortable room, and the staff provides pick-up and drop-off service as well as a shuttle to and from town.Their free breakfast is outstanding, the cook makes perfect scramble eggs and bacon by the pan-full.

"Wedding Trip to Southeast"
Al S, 05 Juin 2016

Would recommend this Best Western, however please note there is no elevator and you may wish to book a first floor room. Great breakfast and staff very nice. Located for all activities in Juneau. We drove all the roads and found all the road ends in 1000 ft signs.

"Juneau Visit"
Henry L, 04 Juin 2016

Great service and location. For the most part the staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. If you have difficulty with stairs, make sure that a 1st floor room is available. The shuttle into Juneau is convenient. You just have to time your trips to the every 2 hours shuttle schedule. Very convenient to ferry, airport, fishing charter and Mendenhall.

"Best place to stay in Juneau"
Vacation00002, 04 Juin 2016

We stayed here several nights during our visit to the area. The staff was competent and kind. The rooms are very clean (and I'm picky). Breakfast is good (some hot items like eggs included). The shuttle service is invaluable. We were shuttled from the airport, to and from the ferry dock, and downtown to the harbor. They even stored some of our luggage while out on a cruise. There is no air conditioning, but opening the window cooled the room adequately. This worked as long as there were no smokers outside. One other little drawback is that there are no elevators to the second floor, but one clerk offered to help us with luggage upon check-in. Though there isn't a restaurant on property, the sister hotel (Grandma's Featherbed) will deliver here. We ate at Grandma's one night and the food was excellent. We would stay here again!

"Four Day Trip to Explore Juneau"
rkurtin, 24 Mai 2016

Spent four days with my two sons (20 & 22). Stayed at Best Western near Airport. Hotel was fairly average but I think was close to standard for Juneau. I plan to return in June with entire family but will stay at the Frontier Hotel. Bigger rooms and full kitchens. Both are by the airport and to me are a great location if you have a car. Near Glacier and East part of Juneau. Only 15 mins to Downtown. Close to Safeway and Fred Meyers.

"Best customer service"
Ann W, 15 Mai 2016

I picked this hotel because they have shuttle service all around Juneau, not just to the airport or ferry terminal. Front desk staff and shuttle drivers all very helpful and courteous. Best free breakfast in Alaska with bacon and eggs, biscuits and gravy, french toast, it goes on and on. The best handicapped accessible shower I've seen in years of traveling. And fabulous room service dinners from their sister hotel, Grandma's Feather Bed and Breakfast. I suggest the Chicken Chardonnay. This hotel is right on a major street and very close to the airport. That means it convenient, but lots of traffic noise. But still worth it for the great customer service.

"Great place"
Sara E, 14 Mai 2016

Loved the beds and the service. Super close to airport-1 minute away! Clean and neat. Drop off and pick up was great! Juneau is incredibly beautiful-make sure you drive out the road to the coast. Stunning!

"Convenient for Airport/Ferry"
desmarest71, 13 Mai 2016

This is a nice hotel close to the airport. They provide a free shuttle from the airport, and to our surprise also one to the Alaska Marine Highway ferry terminal. Friendly staff who gave a lot of options to help us maximize a short stop traveling through Juneau. Room was nice. Breakfast was simple, but filling. The hotel provides a few shuttles to the downtown area, but it is useful to note that it is a 30-40 minute drive. There are also city buses, and the view on the drive makes the time fly by.

"Great place to stay"
TamiF1011, 02 Mai 2016

If you are wondering if you should stay here ... yep.. you should. Close to the airport.. (you could walk) but they will shuttle you over. This motel has the most comfortable bed ever! After your peaceful sleep (cause it was totally quiet) enjoy a delicious breakfast. If you don't have a rental car.. check with staff on shuttle arrangements to glacier and downtown.

"Get a good night's rest here"
runnergirlmom, 26 Avril 2016

Clean and comfortable, this was a great hotel and close to the airport and the Valley shopping. The decor is a bit dated and room a tad too humid after just 3 showers. Other than that, staff was professional in every way, bed very comfortable and breakfast was a tasty bonus. Stay with confidence. The guest pass at a local gym we used 3 times, so it was great to work out during our stay.

"Great location!"
1adklady, 20 Avril 2016

This is a excellent location to the airport and downtown, also to the glaciers, etc. The breakfast is certainly adequate and the staff is very helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and loved having the Keurig, microwave, and fridge in the room. We actually brought our car back to the airport rental a day early and walked back to the motel. The shuttle is an added bonus!

"Perfect place"
nhwamt, 19 Avril 2016

Great location to airport, bus stops, and restaurants. Breakfast has a variety of foods offered and delicious. Clean room, comfortable bed, and helpful staff provided a great stay in Juneau. Shuttle service is helpful to get to/from the airport and to/from downtown Juneau.

"Pleasant"
Nicholas Jr. K, 17 Avril 2016

Staff was very helpful, rooms were great with lots of pillows and a great Keurig coffee maker. Breakfast is okay and Internet is a little slow. The van drivers are very helpful, they will take you to most places around except I think downtown.

"Wonderful stay in Juneau"
Sue H, 12 Avril 2016

Stayed here recently while on vacation (early April 2016). My husband and I were traveling multiple area of the Inside Passage and stayed here for 4 nights total. This is a fabulous place to stay. It is within walking distance to the airport but if you don't want to walk, the hotel has a shuttle. The shuttle also picks up and drops off at the ferry and downtown. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful from the reception to shuttle drivers and cleaning people. They were all willing to share places to eat and things we shouldn't miss seeing while on vacation. Breakfast was awesome! - they have the best biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, French toast, oatmeal, bacon, fruit, yogurt, muffins, juice, cereal. The hotel is very nice, modern and clean. The rooms along the back are a little quieter than those in the front but either are fine. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you everyone who made our stay so enjoyable.

"Clean and Comfortable & Great location"
Justin T C, 10 Avril 2016

We absolutely loved our stay here. The breakfast was great! It was centrally located, but nice and quiet. The room was clean and the bathroom was beautiful. We had a microwave, fridge and a Kuerig coffee maker in our room, which was perfect for our needs. We will always stay here when we come to Juneau.

"Spring Break"
Ann H, 29 Mars 2016

The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They were ready to shuttle us places that we needed to go and scheduled pickup when needed. The food for breakfast was great and the room was clean and spacious.

"Very Nice"
Ray L, 22 Mars 2016

The Rooms are always clean and the Staff are responsive and very helpful. they will go out of their way to help make your stay relaxing and enjoyable. I recommend this to folks when traveling to Juneau as the best place to stay.

"Better than most in Juneau"
Paul K, 15 Mars 2016

Clean , quiet and very comfortable . Staff is friendly and property is well maintained . I've stayed in nearly every hotel in Juneau - most I wouldn't go back to . The Best Western country inn is an easy choice .

"Suite"
pdsexton, 06 Mars 2016

We were supposed to stay a night at the Grandma's Feather Bed Best Western, then a night at the Country Lane Best Western, then two more nights at Grandma's. We never went back to Grandma's after out night at the Country Lane Inn, and instead stayed 3 nights here. We had a small room at Grandma's, and a suite at the Country Inn, so it may not be a fair comparison but we were very comfortable at the Country Inn. Better than most morning breakfast bar.

"Great stay in Juneau"
Rchesnutt, 20 Février 2016

Comfortable room. Overall cleanliness was very good. Plenty of space in both the bedroom and living area. I had no trouble with the Wi-Fi. The staff were very helpful and friendly; they acted as though they liked their jobs! That was very refreshing. Parking is a little tight, but adequate. There are a few restaurants close enough to walk to (if you don't mind the cold)! Breakfast selection was good, with both warm and cold choices. My room was a little noisy, but my window was right next to the lobby, so a little expected. I will definitely stay here next time I am in Juneau!

"Best Western-Juneau, AK"
Ron L, 17 Février 2016

This hotel has nice rooms which are very clean. The hotel is very close to the airport and good food. The staff is very friendly and gave great service. The lobby area is comfortable and easy to access. The rooms are a bit noisy but not unbearable.

"Awesome Stay"
John L, 13 Février 2016

This was my first time in Juneau and also my first time at a Best Western. Don't let appearances fool you, this place is in an older style building, but I really enjoyed my stay. The bed was super comfortable, and I am picky! I thought it was incredibly clean and never encountered anyone that was not super friendly and accommodating. I am already planning a return trip to the area to bring my family as this was on business, I will not be looking anywhere else to stay other than here.

"Nice Hotel"
Devin L, 02 Février 2016

This hotel is older, but is well maintained and always clean. They have useful amenities and good customer service. Comfortable beds! They offer a decent breakfast in the morning, good enough that you don't have to eat out! The hotel is conveniently located close to the airport, which is good for business travel.

"Juneau Buisness trip"
Aaron T, 28 Janvier 2016

This Hotel is great, i stay here every time i come to Juneau as long as its available. the rooms are clean, they all have a mw, new flat screen, every morning i ate the hot breakfast with choices, local coffee. a gym is only a 3 minute drive to the valley. friendly staff.

"Cozy"
Stephanie P, 18 Janvier 2016

Here in January, cold outside - warm inside! Comfortable rooms = large TV, fridge, microwave, fast internet. Great breakfast selection. Kind of tight driving around the back of the building to get to our room with my big full size truck, but we made it. Great place, would stay here again and recommend it to others. Grandmas Feather bed (local restaurant) calls to see if you would like to order and delivers right to you. Love the added attention! Thanks!

"A-Dub"
Allison P, 11 Janvier 2016

I liked this place, the staff was friendly, lots of food options close. It is very easy hear your neighbors so if you're going to have a party or squeak the sheets stay elsewhere. Other than that it's perfect, luckily my neighbors were here to go to sleep promptly.

"Comfortable clean room"
Darwin F, 05 Janvier 2016

Fast internet, the room was comfortable and clean. Shuttle service is available which is important to travelers in Juneau. It is near the airport and several restaurants are near by as well. I will stay here again.

"One of the finest"
Michael Q, 20 Décembre 2015

BW Country Lane Inn is my preferred hotel in Juneau... consistent excellence of service product and I can rely upon them for the much needed rest I seek to and from a work assignment. Ordering dinner from their sister hotel Grandma's Feather Bed and having it delivered to the room is a valuable plus.

"3 C's: Comfortable, Clean, Courteous"
Mike P, 08 Décembre 2015

This property was clean, comfortable and the staff was courteous. The room are average size. Close to the airport. 24/7 shuttle that will take you to other locations. They serve a hot breakfast with eggs, meat, biscuits and gravy, French toast and other typical breakfast foods.

"One night stay"
TMS618, 07 Décembre 2015

Overall, room was fine, but the microwave wasn't clean. The rest of the room was fine and bed was comfortable, though softer than I prefer. The breakfast was very good and had hot options. Staff friendly, shuttle prompt and check-in and out was fast and efficient. Internet connection good.

"Stay Away - horrible hotel - unless you like sleeping in a factory"
Joel M, 13 Novembre 2015

Our first room was under construction. Second room next to something that made industrial factory sounds all night. Obviously we got no sleep. I would definitely not stay in this hell hole again. Front desk was very unhelpful

"Good Stay"
Jack B, 12 Novembre 2015

We stayed here for a night in November. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable if a bit small and dated. The bed was comfortable. Everything worked. Breakfast was good. The courtesy shuttle was prompt. The price was right. We would definitely stay here on our way through Juneau again.

"Comfortable and clean"
Katherine M, 11 Novembre 2015

This is a great place to stay. The internet pictures do not do it justice. It is clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a nice addition and made our lives easier.

"Good motel"
pika_candid_reviews, 11 Novembre 2015

The Best Western Country Lane Inn is located very conveniently and close to restaurants, shopping, hiking trails, airport and ferry terminal. The rooms are clean and comfortable. It was quiet. The breakfast was included in the rate. There were a variety of breakfast items provided. The breakfast starts at 5 am. It would be great if they provided kind of a breakfast package to go because when you have to travel by ferry you have to leave the hotel before breakfast starts.

"Get a good night's rest"
runnergirlmom, 02 Novembre 2015

A pleasant place to stay, clean and comfortable. Reasonable rates. Nice bonus was the complimentary pass to a local gym (great facility!). Continental breakfast was tasty. Staff was helpful and courteous. Just a few minutes from airport.

"comfortable and friendly staff"
TOMnRhonda, 31 Octobre 2015

Stayed for 12 nights on business. Room was comfortable. Housekeeping was great. Only complaint was guest laundry was out of order but the front desk offered a suggestion for laundry service in town that was great and they offered a shuttle service to get there. Will be back again

"A great spot!"
DIKTHAI, 12 Octobre 2015

My wife and I stayed here during our recent visit to Juneau. We had previously stayed at the other Best Western in town and wanted to see how this facility compared. Our stay was excellent as the rooms and staff were just great. We arrived early and requested a ground floor room. It took a bit of time to finally get in and get settled but we were settled long before the "official" check-in time. Room was clean and nicely outfitted. The grounds were also clean and free parking available. Our interactions with staff was always courteous and very helpful. The business center was very good and we utilized the PC to do some searches of places in Juneau. Complimentary breakfast was more than adequate. Sausage and biscuits, along with scrambled eggs, was served and since returning home my wife now has me making batches of sausage and biscuits! We would highly recommend this hotel and would certainly stay here on another visit to Juneau.

"Great Experience"
snwball, 30 Septembre 2015

I stopped for two evenings on a business trip. I was given a small room on the second floor with a King Bed. It was quiet, clean, and had everything one would need. My coworker stayed in the room next door. We arrived early due to our flight landing early. They were able to give us rooms when we arrived. Breakfast was great. Everyone was friendly. On the morning we left, a power outage occurred in the city. They were unable to print receipts but emailed them to our phones once the power returned. It was definitely a pleasant experience.

"Excellent hotel"
Carol P, 28 Septembre 2015

Very nice, extremely clean motel, quiet location, beautiful hanging flower baskets in front of every room. Shuttle service from downtown, and on demand shuttle to airport just a few minutes away. Definitely off the beaten path, but had excellent Mexican restaurant next door. Breakfast was delicious and even ready before 5 am when we had to leave for airport. Rooms very pretty, excellent comfortable bed. Would definitely stay here again.

"Excellent Service"
Gregory K, 25 Septembre 2015

Service was excellent. Accommodations were excellent. The fact that you provide shuttle service to and from downtown makes you the best place to stay. I will recommend the 'Best Western Country Inn to others, and I will be back in 22 months for another business visit.

"Never been disappointed!"
MrsCheriMac, 21 Septembre 2015

The only place I stay when going to Juneau! Free shuttle from the Ferry! Clean rooms, wonderful breakfast! I have never been disappointed! When my interns come for the summer to work in Haines, this is where we have them stay! Its a nice welcome to Alaska!

"Comfortable hotel"
Sandra S, 18 Septembre 2015

This hotel is a few minutes by shuttle bus from the airport, and about 15 minutes by shuttle bus to Juneau town centre. Shuttle bus service is free, but make sure you book drop off and pick up times as it can get busy. Our room was comfortable and warm, with free wifi. Continental breakfast was included in the tariff, with free tea and coffee available all day. The hotel does not have in house dining facilities, but there are options close by. Staff in the main were helpful.
