The Best Western is a good hotel and good value for the money. It is an older hotel,but is very clean. A word of caution, some rooms are smoking rooms. The staff is very accommodating and works to accommodate your needs.

I stayed here with my husband and 2 kids in a 2 queen room. It was right off the highway which was a convenient stop to our final destination. We enjoyed the pool and the nearby Grand Falls. Breakfast was good. The room was nice, but the mattress was uncomfortable. My kids and husband had both no problems with the mattresses though. Overall a great value.

The rating of a 2.5 hotel is not an accurate description. A 2 is more appropriate. They have tried to take an old hotel and update it. The rooms are very small and so is the bathroom area. The pool is very small. It is a motel with outdoor steps, many of which have missing or broken areas. The hotel was clean but given what you can get in the area for the same or less money you would be better off going elsewhere.

Reservation was accomplished over the phone.Went well, had to remind them of online rate to get something near what you are seeing here. I found the hotel to be much like the Best Westerns of old, but nicely updated. Outside hall ways are a minus. Room was very small, but had a fridge and microwave. Room was clean (sanitized tv remote bag was a nice touch) , but even with every light on lighting was poor .Except for the 6a trash pickup, it was quiet, much better than some newer higher dollar hotels I have recently stayed in. Front Desk staff was very helpful. Breakfast was good, better than many that clean. Good value

This hotel was about as middle of the road as you'll find in hotels. The place felt like I was staying at a Super 8. Good things: The staff was very accommodating and nice. Room was clean and beds comfortable. Check in and departure all pleasant with no complaints. Good locations, many nice places to eat within walking distance. Bad things: we were in a room on the second floor, and every time someone ran down the hall (many kids were doing this through the evening) we could feel every step (walls shaking and everything). Bathroom was quite dated, and old, remodeling was overdue. Not sure if maybe we got an older room that was not yet updated. I give this rating an average, because for the price paid and a Best Western brand hotel I guess I expected a little more. If there was a 3.5 star rating out of 5 that's what I would've rated the hotel. Again...no issues with staff. They were fantastic.

Stayed one night on the way north to Kansas City. Location rates as great, price rates as great, staff also was great. Rooms were remodeled and ok, some noise from above us though, but an older unit. Breakfast was also decent. But for the price, it cannot be beat.

I was staying there on my way from Arizon to Michigan with my pets. I was on the 1st floor and was happy with the location the people and the accomadations here. THe 1st floor had some noise from the floor above but it settled down very fast in the early evening. Good restaurants close by, some with in walking distance.

Cheap price, ok breakfast, but horrible cleaning service trash on the floor food under the bed. My 1 year old brought me an old Apple from right under the edge of the bed I told front desk and nobody every came and vacuumed the room or cleaned it while we were there.

This hotel was subpar. It was outdated and old. The room smelled heavily of smoke. It felt and looked dirty. We left and got another room at the Marriott and ate the money we paid because they would not refund us. Will never visit a Best Western again.

The staff were all friendly and the breakfast was good. This is an old location with no updates. No indoor entrances. The floor by the sink was really dirty. I spilled water and used a wash cloth to wipe it up and it was black. It is close to restaurants.

We stay here every time we go to Joplin. Great place. Breakfast has so many choices. They are refilling the breakfast bar up until it is time to shut it down. It is conveniently near the highway yet, Rangeline Road has every store you would ever need right down the street.

Best value i have found in Joplin. Right off 44 in close proximity to several restaurants. Rooms are clean and updated. Beds are solid. Television has channels. Shower has great pressure. WiFi is upgraded since my last stay.

The staff at this location was awesome. They all went above to make sure our stay was the best. The breakfast buffet was stocked without having to ask for anything. The check in was very easy. Since I was traveling with an elderly lady, the young lady went out of her way for our accommodations.

excellent place ,only thing that could make it better is if they had a cart to carry luggage to room. I had a lot of stuff to carry to the rear of the building and it was very tedious and tiring, thank goodness i wasnt on top floor.

Staff were great! Hotel type and rooms are dated but renovated with care.Small breakfast area with average breakfast but certainly wasn't unpleasant. Walking distance from Starbucks and a Waffle House next door. Considering a very congested location (12 hotels and many businesses within walking distance, This hotel was just fine and cost was decent as well. Would definitely stay again when traveling thru.

The only thing I really have against this place is the old style rooms that you enter from outside. I prefer rooms that you enter from an inside hallway. A plus, the beds were normal/low height. So many places have beds that are hard to get into if you have short legs. These beds were just right!

We had asked for a first floor room-non-smoking. When we were advised our room started with the number 2 and staff was asked if that meant second floor; they answered "yes" and that it was a smoking room. We asked if they anything on the first floor and they said that had one left and it was at the far end of the building. We took it and it was disappointing. Not very clean and in need of some updating. The girls behind the desk had said that someone not at the location had made the reservation. The girl behind the desk when we left was harsh and unsmiling. Not suited for customer service.

Would recommend this hotel to anyone. Great location, great staff, great service, great breakfast, clean rooms and very quite place. Have stayed several times before and will do so in the future. Nice place for the kids, if you have kids.

We went to Joplin for a college visit and stayed here the room was very clean and the front desk people were very friendly and helpful they went out of their way to make sure everything was great, The breakfast was also great and more than we expected for the price we will be staying here again. when we checked out they gave my wife a goodies bag with some fruit and snacks in it for our trip home. We will be telling everyone about this place.

Great stay! Loved the free popcorn and cookies and the breakfast was delicious. The front desk staff provided instructions when GPS led the wrong way. Nice people and awesome hotel. Frequently do this drive and will make it a point to stay here in the future.

The second time I have stayed here. Very clean, good parking, efficient front desk. Nice little hot breakfast and good strong coffee. They even had a small fitness room with three cardio machines and free weights! Very affordable, too. Highly recommend and I will stay here again!

We booked a room with 1 day notice, no problem. Upon check-in, we were greeted by a friendly young man. The process was quick. Our room, 122, was clean and comfortable. It appeared to have been recently updated. It was on the ground floor and had exterior doors. We parked right outside the room. Even though the hotel is right off the highway, we didn't hear any of the noise. The only negative about the room, was the one above us. We could hear every footstep of the guest. It sounded like they were pacing around for 30 minutes. Check out was fast and the front desk lady was just as friendly as the man the night before. Despite negative reviews about this hotel, we took a chance and don't regret it. Will definitely stay here again.

I my stay was excellent, and I was really surprised that I got the same room that I stayed in during my last stay a Best Western and I thought that was awesome. My room had easy excess to everything that I needed, for my stay. Close to local shopping and family. The rooms are excellent and the breakfast is excellent and easy excess to the internet and anything else that you need for your stay.

When we arrived there was a chemical smell in the room. A small dark place. We had to leave the door open. I thought it was just the cleaning solutions they used. Later that night the sink was teeming with ants...we killed them but in the morning they were all over our toiletries, toothbrushes icky. I now think the smell was some kind of insecticide that the ants were a problem. We had no food or sticky stuff in that area. When we left I did mention this at check out. I have heard nothing. This was the third BW in a row that we had stayed at. The other two were 5. I must say however you did have Chobani Greek yogurt. Which was a nice surprise.

Called for 2 rooms at last minute, Adrian very helpful. Standard motel room, bed comfortable, clean. Can park right outside room. Offered cookies, popcorn upon check in. Decent complimentary breakfast with eggs, sausage, etc. gave us nice to go bag with water, apple, granola bar when checked out. Great value for the money. Top service. We have stayed in dozens of Best Westerns and this was top value. So what if dated if it is clean and comfortable. It's one night for great price.

Nothing short of a total refund! This place was bad. Bed uncomfortable. Put us in a room in the back of motel. Door opened to the outside. A guest, staying down the way (a couple of rooms) had his door open about a foot, all night long. The pot smoke (marijuana) was flowing out of their room freely, all night... creeping down the way, in our direction. We are not pot smokers and will never be, so one can imagine how damn bad this really was. Saw another guest, on the other side of the motel, carry his marijuana bong into his room after his luggage. Really? Is Missouri a marijuana state? WOW. We, definitely, will not be staying her again. A motel used frequently by construction workers. Their diesel trucks start up a 5:00 AM and keep running until they leave... maybe up to an hour or so. What a bad choice. My Google review will reflect the same.

I left my purse in the room. The desk clerk called, and we returned to get it. Honest staff!! The room was small but comfortable with plenty of outlets and plugs for devices. The shower was great with a grab bar and a no slip mat in the tub. The bed was comfortable.

Our group stays at many BW's on our motorcycle trips, most of which are awesome. This property was a good value but had our group spread all over the motel. Usually when we ask ahead of time to have rooms together and where we can park our motorcycles outside our rooms, they try to accommodate us. Even though this motel was far from full, our requests were not granted. However, this is a nice BW, clean and a good value.

Nice spot. The owner and staff were very helpful. Definitely recommend staying here for a nice quiet night. Rooms are clean. Tight fit for my wife's wheelchair but otherwise an outstanding room for the price.

Did you know Best Western hotels still have smoking rooms? Now I do! When traveling cross country with dogs I have often stayed at Best Western hotels as they allow them. Things seem to be changing at the chain as now many do not or want only small dogs. I was forced to switch hotels when I arrived at my room to find an overwhelming smell of smoke. It was so bad I started getting a headache within a minute. Not sure why, when I called to make my reservation, the receptionist did not share that I would be getting a smoking room; that seems like one of the top things a person would care about. Best Western should also be aware that dogs have a much more acute sense of smell than people and it might be considered cruel to put a dog in that environment. After calling the front desk and learning that they would not apologize for their miscommunication or move me to another room, even though they had vacancy, I called and got a pet-friendly, non-smoking room at La Quinta. Not the experience I was hoping for after driving 12 hours, but at least I did not have to sleep in my car!

Breakfast good, with a good variety of selections. The rooms weren't as clean for the money spent. The carpet was not clean and felt weird to walk on barefoot. The shower curtain in the bathroom smelled sour. The overall size of the room was small.

This hotel is average at best. Check in was dismal as was checkout. Room was average. It was noisy. We asked for a King downstairs and was told we had to take a queen downstairs. Not the best location. Probably will look elsewhere next time around.

I made reservations 4 weeks in advance to stay at this motel. After 8.5 hours on the road we arrived at 3:39p. When we went to check in tbey told us the room was not ready and would take housekeeping 45 minutes to get ready. Needless to say we were not happy and told receptionist of our dissatisfaction. We told them it was outrageous that we had to wait and felt the room should have been ready. They basically told us if we didn't want to wait to go somewhere else...we did.

This motel style hotel has been converted to allow suite accommodations for families. Though small was highly impressed with the accommodations. My family was very satisfied. Will definitely look at BW brands when needing a hotel.

We stayed three nights at The Oasis in Joplin while visiting my mother in Carthage. There where no reasonable options there and the drive from Carthage is only 15 minutes. Clean, well stocked room with free WiFi. Staff extremely friendly and accommodating. Breakfast buffet very good. Staff was constantly refilling dispensers and asking if we needed anything. Nice outside pool. Very good value.

Ceiling in bathroom falling down. Room was on back side and very dark and very small with no place to put luggage. Small TV in cabinet which blocked side views even when TV was rotated. The room smelled of a very strong perfume or insecticide which made me feel ill so we turned on fans and opened the door to try and air it out but smell still lingered. Man checking us in was very friendly and looked to find us a room that was not on the second floor because there is no elevator here. This is not what we expect from a Best Western. If this is the best there is in Joplin we'd drive on if ever in the area again.

We got here and I expected a standard room...totally surprised! A walk-in closet, separate bed room and sitting room. Spacious and very clean room. Anytime we are in Joplin we will definitely stay here.

Front desk guy was very friendly and helpful. Check-in was quick and painless. Room I got was smallish, but functional. There is a fridge and microwave, and both were serviceable and clean. I did find the stick-down mat in the bathtub to be quite off putting, as it looked to be torn and curled up on the corners. Those things harbor some serious funk. I checked to make sure the sheets and pillowcases were fresh--I carry a blacklight in my travel bag for just such occasions. Don't use it on the carpet, though! UGH! AC was very cold, and internet was faster than most places I've stayed in. I've taken a long-term job here in Joplin, so I'll be travelling here every week for the next 6-12 months. I may choose this place again...but I'll still be looking at other places. For the price, I did expect a bit more.

If you're looking for high end, forget it. You only need a place to sleep and shower anyway. This a clean, affordable facility with great staff help. Breakfast good, a lot of variety. If we travel this way again, we'll be staying here.

The hotel is good newly renovated, personnel very helpful and courteous, the breakfast bar was delicious; everything was fresh. The biggest problem is that the rooms are extremely small, very difficult for 2 people to maneuver.

We were on the end of our trip and heading home. Through Google we found the hotel that was pet friendly. The room and all paperwork ready even though we had just booked online less than an hour before. The room was clean and well arranged for maximum floor space. An area for pets was right next to our room. Several restaurants in the immediate area and very nice breakfast in the lobby the next morning. Good to have such pleasant experience on our last night on the road.

Checking in the girl was super nice. However, the key reader for our room stopped working and it took us two trips to the front desk and still no help. I stopped a cleaning lady who called them and then a maintenance man arrived. He had to break into our room and I ended up being 30 mins late for my appointment. The check was not great. The lady didn't ask me how the stay was or even say she was sorry for what had happened. She could have cared less that it caused a problem for us. Not happy and considering I'll be visiting the area often for the next 4 years, I'm not sure I would stay there again.

The hotel is in good location; however, its entry is confusing like most of hotels in this particular location. The staff is friendly and helpful. The check in/out process is fast and efficient. There's hot and healthy breakfast with adequate selections for a quick breakfast. The internet connection is fast.

Staff was great. Room was comfortable and tidy. Breakfast buffet was delicious and a great start to the day. Very good experience for the price. We arrived without a reservation and they were able to accommodate us in an upgraded room for the standard price. I highly recommend this hotel.

There were ants in the bathroom and When our children went to the hot tub at the Econo Lodge next door. Because the Best western gives passes to do so after their pool closes. There were people having sex in the hot tub. Then when we checked out around 8:55 our family of 5 were trying to get breakfast and the staff kept turning off the orange juice machine and taking food away as we were trying to get food. Because breakfast stops at 9! It was rude and disrespectful. Especially when the employees just kept saying breakfast stops at 9! And removing the food from us.

I made a reservation online through booking.com. The policy states that you must bring your ID and credit card for verification. I checked in advance that I could pay cash upon arrival...the answer was yes. No where on the reservation does it say they have to charge the room amount to the card. I had removed the money from my card before we left town as I commonly have troubles using it out of state and we were going to the casino on a Saturday so the bank would be closed if I had trouble. I got to the Hotel to check in and they asked how I would be paying. I said cash and offered to pay then, she said that was fine, but I can't check you in because your card is declining. I explained that the money was removed from the account but I was planning to pay cash. However the hotel must first charge your card for the amount of the room, and then you can pay cash. I referenced that I had called and asked why they wouldn't have mentioned this very inconvenient policy then, and she said it not a common problem so they wouldn't have thought to say anything. I referenced that the reservation said they only needed the card to verify...not to charge...and she could only say it was the hotel policy. So I said I guess I can just go to Walmart and put the money on a prepaid card, but that option was declined by her as well. Needless to say I did not get my room. The staff is rude. And I'm driving home from the casino at 3 am rather than getting some rest. The only coselation is I now had 90 extra dollars to spend at the casino.

Motel was in a good location off of the Interstate. Room was clean and the bed linens were of a good quality. Bath towels were above avg for most motels. Breakfast had a good selection of items to include eggs, pastries, meat item. Typical cereal choices.

"Frustrating Stay for the price"

Fro the price that I paid, I expected more. When we got there, my wife took a shower and the tub was clogged. However, I did call and maintenance came out right away and fixed the problem. The second day we were there, housekeeping did not come by our room at all. I called the front desk and they reassured me that they would be coming. However, they never showed up. The next day, they came and just dropped off towels. Not what I would expect when I pay the prices that I paid. They did not come in and clean, as I would have expected. We complained about it and it was taken care of later that day. However, I should not have had to say anything to begin with. I had actually had another reservation this week that was $30 less per day, but changed to this Best Western because that is where my son's baseball team was playing. I was disappointed in the product. I was happy that matters were resolved, but frustrated that we had to complain.

Small rooms but just fine for a single business traveler. Very helpful and friendly staff. Decent breakfast and outdoor pool with plastic palm trees to cool off on hot summer afternoon. I am out of things to say beyond this and resent your demand for 200 charachters.

Spent a lot of time on line and by phone to get a hotel with a recliner in room. Difficult to find but best western oasis had one. It was reasonable priced, friendly staff and excellent breakfast buffet. Very much appreciated their help and friendly faces after a long u haul trip from Utah to Missouri.

Staff are wonderful, had a good laugh with the gentlemen at the front desk, very friendly and the place was clean and ready to go. I slept like a baby while I was there. 10/10 would stop again here if I was traveling through this area again.

The front desk attendant was great at check in. The front has been remodeled and updated. Now for the room: The bed was uncomfortable and like other reviews we noticed a musty smell in the room and the carpet felt damp, when walking on it. The room was quite small for all the furniture it had in it. When I went to check out the front desk attendant was on the phone the entire process of checking out. We would not stay here again.

The floor felt sticky, the bed looked as if someone had slept in it, pool area looked dirty, was locked out of room after going to pool area, breakfast area too small. Way overpriced for quality of rooms. Staff was friendly and helpful.

"Very out dated Motel"

This motel is in need of major renovations. Rooms are so small that only 1 person can be up walking around. The motel manager is extremely rude and unwilling to help when there is a problem. I wouldn't recommend staying at this motel at all. The picture of the front desk looks nice but everything else needs to be completely redone and updated. Stay at the Hampton or Drury Inn that are across the street.

"A Good Night's Sleep"

This was one of the most reasonably priced hotels we stayed at and it was so nice to just drive straight up to the room and have a very good night's sleep. We had a pleasant breakfast and everybody there seem to be having a good time and it was a great way to start a very long road trip that was ahead of us.

We were there for a funeral and actually booked 2 rooms at a different hotel. We got in a day early and booked that night at BW. We liked the suite so much the front desk was able to accommodate the additional 3 days we needed so we could cancel the 2 rooms for just the one.

I'll start with the good: the staff was friendly and accommodating. The lobby and front exterior have been renovated. The pool was clean and refreshing and the breakfast had a variety, and quality was good. The bad: the room was weirdly damp. We had to wear shoes at all times to avoid our feet being completely black on the bottom. The beds rocked like a boat when you laid down and then you sank to the middle. We had a 'suite', so we were fine on space, but the regular rooms were very small. The fitness center was out of towels, and also had no cleaner for guests to wipe down the equipment when they were done. Next time we are in town, we would pay a little more to stay elsewhere.

This hotel is okay but would probably not stay here again. Room was not as clean as we would have liked and it was small. Parking lot and spaces were very tight. Breakfast area was very small and crowded. We just grabbed a coffee and hit the road. The staff were very friendly, check in and check was a breeze. Joplin was very busy with youth tournaments and every hotel was packed and very busy. In the future I would bypass Joplin and stay somewhere else.

Overpriced for the condition of the property. No Elevator to second floor and no help with carrying bags up. Skimpy breakfast with inferior quality. It seemed that there was only one ice machine. Small pool. Older property that has had small improvements. Management fairly unresponsive to solving complaints. We won't stay here again

Everything in the room was very clean. We had a double queen. One bed was comfortable, the other not so much. Pillows were comfy, and I usually don't like hotel pillows. Breakfast was awesome. Had scrambled eggs and sausage, biscuits & gravy, waffles, cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt, donuts, pastries, and bagels, toast, juice, coffee, tea and milk. The breakfast lady Leah was excellent. She kept everything well stocked and clean. She was very helpful with anything you wanted. And she was very nice. The check-in lady Kenyatta was also very nice and very professional. There were storm warnings out and she gave us instructions on what to do in case of a tornado or other bad weather. That was the first time I've had that done. She was also very informative on the restaurants in the area. We didn't use the pool, but it was nice and clean. It was rather small though. We would stay here again if in the area.

It takes a lot for me to complain but this BW was awful. I had to go to the office twice, I have never had to do that. The first time was to tell them the carpet was wet, not damp but wet in the whole room. I was told it was probably from the humidity. Then I had to go back to the office to tell them there were tiny red bugs flying around, I was told it was because of the rain. I asked for another room but was told they were sold out. Definitely wouldn't stay there again.

I booked one night as a stopover while passing through the area. Based on the pictures online I thought I was booking a decent midrange hotel. Pictures are deceiving. As soon as I saw the "motel" concept of the rooms I was not happy. I do not enjoy having my door open to the outside. I booked a hotel, not a motel. I did reserved judgement until I saw my room and when I did I was not happy. My room was on the back side of the hotel in an area that is not well lit. I certainly did not feel safe walking to/from my room to my car. The room was musty smelling and cramped. The carpet felt dirty under my feet. There were hairs on the floor of the bathroom. The bed felt damp to the touch. Throughout the night I could hear either someone running around on the upper floor or slamming doors. I could also plainly hear the music coming from what looked like a residence nearby. If I had not been so exhausted from my long drive, I would have left immediately and found something else. This experience has turned me off to other BW properties as I do not want to be burned again. I will note, the lobby appears to be updated but that is the only nice thing I can say about this hotel (motel).

Clean, quiet and comfortable. The location is great, right off the freeway and close to several places to eat. The breakfast is great and the lobby a nice place to sit and read the paper. I'll stay there again the next time I'm in town.

Nice accommodations. Nothing overly exciting, but clean and spacious room. Floors seemed a little greasy, but good other than that. Breakfast was good & people were helpful. Our family had an enjoyable stay.

We stopped for a night on the way to my daughter's college orientation. Very friendly staff, clean room with all amenities, and the best breakfast I have had in a motel! Pool was very clean. A great experience!

We booked this on Priceline & it was a great choice! Everyone was extremely friendly, the room was clean, the beds were comfortable and breakfast was great (especially considering it was free). This is a great option for families as well.

Was driving from California to Michigan and had to stop in Joplin. Good experience with BW. Beds were comfortable, everything worked and staff was friendly. I would recommend this place if you're stopping in Joplin.

Stayed here one night with my granddaughter while traveling. The reception area is very nice looks newly updated check in was easy and fast. Our room had two beds and was still fairly spacious, there was a refrigerator and microwave, the bathroom was very nice with the large counter by the sink and the shower was very good. There were plenty of towels for two people. Our room was upstairs and on the back side of the parking lot and it was very quiet. The free breakfast was the usual free muffins and scrambled eggs and sausages and everything was very tasty. Would recommend this hotel and would stay here again if in the area.

Everything about this hotel is what you would expect in a travel hotel. Excellent service, nice room, pool, places to relax outside around the property. The breakfast was good with free newspaper available.

Tiny room, tiny bath, room felt dark and damp. Nice modern lobby, but certainly gives the wrong impression of the rooms. Very disappointed, won't stay there again. Desk clerk said he thought the rooms were going to be remodeled in the future but unless they are starting with a bull dozer I don't see it possible to improve. I'm not sure why Best western would allow such a franchise.

"Needs major updating in the rooms"

Lobby is very nice and new but rooms were the opposite. Once I walked in my room it was old and dingy and in major need of updating. We are also Platinum rewards members through Best Western and I was not treated as such. Very unhappy with my stay and my husband lives in hotels for work while he travels so its a shame they don't treat there rewards members better.

"Traveling cross country"

We always stay at this Best Western on our way east. It's very clean and comfortable. The staff is always cheerful and ready to help if we need anything. Park right in front of your room too. Breakfast is complete and tasty. Room has frig so we can empty out cooler, very comfortable beds and pillows are great.

The reception area and service was excellent. My room was not "fancy" but was clean and had what I needed. There is a pool, gym, nice breakfast, free wifi, free computer stations, very helpful concierge... Not a particularly fancy place but excellent in the nice touches that make it a five star stay. Microwave and fridge in room, free cookies and popcorn at checkin...

"Awesome front desk"

We will definitely stay at this hotel again. I was so tired when I got there that night that I couldn't even hardly talk and make sense but Brad was so patient and helpful. There was some reviews online that the rooms are a little small and ours was but we didn't stay in the room much and the beds were heavenly! We never ate the breakfast but it looked really good. Hotel sign is a little low to see but the Best Western is directly behind the Waffle House.

I believe we have stayed at this motel two times prior to this time. It was in past years prior to the tornado which devastated Joplin. Prior visits have been extremely dissatisfactory due to the lack of cleanliness and size of the room. This stay was much better conditions, the room was still small but laid out so that it didn't seem so cramped. AND it was clean. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The reservations were made by phone due to an internet problem on our part. The person suggested we use our points for a free room, which we did, and the person checking us out made sure we were signed up for the special rewards program.

The staff at this hotel from front desk, breakfast service and housekeeping were universally upbeat, positive and helpful. Rooms are clean, well equipped and on the small side. Tucked behind a Waffle House and between Days Inn, Candlewood Suites and Econo Lodge it could be easy to miss. The bathroom was clean if small and bed mattress was not cushy. Occasional squeaks from floor above but fairly quiet. A good hot breakfast with variety including multiple juices and 3 strengths of coffee. The woman who manages breakfast was very cheerful for someone who rise at 4:00am each and every morning. The people earn the rating of this establishment.

Exactly what I needed for a rest on a long road trip. I was not looking for a luxury stay, just a place to rest - and this was just fine. Pleasant, relatively quiet, inexpensive, good value. I would stay there again.

Best Hotel I stayed in during my entire trip. The room was clean. The bed was not firm or soft it was perfect. The room was actually beautiful for the price. I wish I would of know that is what Best Western offered before I would of been staying there instead of other hotels and getting sloppy beds and not toilet seats

Good value and extremely clean. Breakfast was good and staff are friendly. Location off freeway is nice with discounts on a few restaurants nearby. We stay here twice a year on our cross country trips. Never been disappointed.

Although the room was on the small side, the bed and pillows were comfortable, the bathroom and rest of the room was spotless. My husband enjoyed his breakfast, and the attendant in the breakfast room got me some gluten free cereal. all in all a very pleasant stay.

Very pleased with his hotel. It exceeded our expectations. Quiet, clean, comfortable rooms, nice breakfast area and good food options. Easy access to the interstate, and there are several dining options...and a Starbucks close by! Will stay there again when in the area!

Lobby was nice and dining area was good. The receptionist was very helpful and friendly.. Neither of the key cards worked, had to carry my luggage with me, go up to front desk and get them keyed again. The buildings were older, The only entrance to the room was outside entrances. Multiple buildings, my room was on the backside with no parking spaces on that side. The room was very small and tight, also the bathroom was small. The bed was nice and the room was clean.

Got a room with a view of a wooden fence, it should have been cleaned much better, and the bed was hard as a rock. Probably the worst experience I have ever had at any Best Western motel. It wasn't horrible, but I just expect better from BW

It was cheap. But don't be fooled. Newly remodeled refers to the lobby not the guest rooms. My check in was great - check out was snotty. Wear your flip flops in the shower. Convenient to numerous other hotels and restaurants.

Yes, this is a motel with outside entrances. I saw many families and women staying here and felt very safe and secure. Rooms are very small. No room for my morning yoga. Beds are old and worn but ok. Room was very clean with fridge and microwave. Might stay again. Still looking for the best budget minded place in Joplin.

Hotel is just off I-44 in Joplin and very easy to find. Many places to eat close by, not far from shopping centers. They have upgraded the look of hotel since my last stay and rooms are still very well maintained. At check in Brad was very helpful and his awesome attitude showed how much he cared about your business. I was offered an up grade but being very tired just took my original room. Bed is not like the one at home but still got a good nights rest.

Made reservations, when we got there @ check in time we had a problem, room not yet ready. Had been booked the night before, so they were a little behind. But the front staff very nice & pleasant. We left our number & a short time later they called us. We had a pet room in which was nice, met our needs. Was pleasantly well kept. Not much of an area for pets but not a big deal. The 2 gentlemen at desk were the best!!! We spent a bit of time talking with them, so nice. You don't get that very often. I'd recommend anyone to stay here. You can't miss it!!! It's right off the highway, was a great stay!!! Breakfast area very well maintained, very small area. And the grab & go bag was appreciated. Thank you best western!!! Weren't sure we were going to be able to find a room because of sporting event traffic, but they had a single left. You could tell the room was a little older, it was compact, but very clean, well-appointed (fridge, microwave, flat-screen, nice vanity) and well-cared for. Staff were friendly and accommodating which was greatly appreciated after almost 12 hours on the road. Good water pressure and plenty of hot water in the shower. Excellent bed. Breakfast was pretty good for a free hotel breakfast - included at least two protein options. Even though most rooms in town were full, we still got a really good rate here. Wish the black-out curtains were a little more effective - lots of light in the parking lot.

This is a pretty decent best western for the price. We stayed one night and were very satisfied. The front desk clerk Clayton was very funny and great at his job. This guy could be the face of best western and have a successful career. The room itself was small and straightforward, but very comfortable and clean. There's nothing fancy here but it met all of our requirements and expectations. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this location to friends and family. If you need a simple, cozy, straightforward hotel room for the night this place will do you well.

We needed a place to stay while passing through on vacation. Booked this hotel mainly on price, because we just needed a place for the night. Very surprised. We were not expecting much, but the room was clean, cozy, and updated. Access room from parking lot. Staff was super. Able to walk to nearby restaurants. Cannot go wrong for the price.

We had a bit of a mixup with changing our reservation, however the manager Laurie was very understanding and took care of everything. Room was a bit small but met our needs. Breakfast selection was very good with both hot and cold items. We would for sure stay again if we find ourselves in Joplin.

The Oasis Best Western in Joplin, Missouri is a very nice, modern facility, with easy access to I-44, and downtown Joplin. It is well managed and the employees are a pleasure to deal with. We spent 2 nights there and had no complaints, in fact the front desk went out of their way to help us out on locating some restaurants and travel plans.

All the rooms open to the outside but the parking is very well lit so it seems safe enough. The room was not large but was adequate. It was clean which is my Number 1 concern. The front desk staff was courteous.

Reserved 2 [email protected] were told we canceled them and hotel booked. Staff zero help, calling mgr-waste of time. We had to find a hotel at 10 pm with our three grandchildren. We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn and was well worth the extra cost based on other reviews we read. Rennovations can't makeup for bad service, and dirty rooms although we obviously can't verify that part.

I'm on the road a lot, when I get to a room I'm ready to relax. Ive always been able to do that at BEST WESTERN. and always get up to a good breakfast.thank you BW.the people are always very helpful,they treat you like family,not just at Joplin ,but at every BW I stay at.the gentleman saw what I was driving( a box truck),told me where I could park, and put me in a room close to my truck so I wouldn't have to carry my bags far. my stay was RELAXING

Stayed two nights, area was very quite staff was polite. The laundry facilities were free and worked well. The exercise area has 3 different machines and dump bells with a TV and towels. I was disappointed to see the room doors access from the outside.

We tried to come early on our trip and check in but was rudely said no early check in. We the came back at 9 pm and ask to check in again and the deck people stared at each other saying that the reservations canceled over the phone yet we do all our booking o line and would of never called and we never got a confirmation of canceled anyway. The lady deck person got snippy with us and and my father made her call the manger and they did nothing to accommodate us and demanded us to leave and call on Monday the manager. This was on a Saturday night Do not go to this hotel.

The desk clerk and cleaning staff were very friendly, helpful, and polite. The Pet rooms leave a lot to be desired. There is a small grassy area between the two buildings but the area along the pet rooms is a thin strip of rocks. Very little area to walk a dog. The manager was rude, unfriendly, and seemed to intimidate the staff. If you don't have a pet, I would say the rooms were clean, the bed was comfortable, plenty of pillows, well stocked, nice décor. My only complaint is the franchise owner and the accommodations for those bringing dogs with them.

Nice motel IF YOU'RE NOT HANDICAPPED. "Accessible room" only had one grab bar in tub - nothing else to accommodate a challenged guest. It was clean, staff was nice, breakfast was adequate. If you're perfectly healthy, good place to stay.

I always get a kick out of reading reviews before I stay at a hotel, and then comparing them to my own experience when I'm there. I had noticed on a couple of recent reviews that guests had mentioned that this property was hard to find. Unless you are arriving in the middle of the night during a power outage, there is no way to miss it - it has palm trees for goodness sake. How many hotels in Joplin Missouri have palm trees out front? My first stop was the lobby to check in, and it's been renovated very nicely. It's open and welcoming. On one side there is a large area for breakfast in the morning. I had a first floor room, so the door opened to the outside. The room had all new furniture, a flat screen TV, new carpet, and new wood / laminate floor in front of the vanity, which was also new. It's not Trump Tower, but they did a nice job on the renovation and didn't seem like they cut any corners. The room was quiet, very clean, and the bed was comfortable. Upon checkout, the front desk personnel were friendly and helpful. Another positive is the location. Right off of I44, and walking distance to several restaurants. There's even a Waffle House in the parking lot. Overall a good value, and I would stay here again.

This hotel was at its best in a different era...two stories, exterior doors and exterior stairs. It's obviously old, but they have tried really, really hard to update it. There are new bathroom fixtures, new beds, they've created a little breakfast nook, etc. Its not very expensive, and the receptionist told me she would match any price I'd found online. The personnel were all extremely pleasant. I was going to be more generous with my rating, until we found the roach just prior to checking out...

This place is hard to find. Has a huge sign belonging to a nearby hotel at the front entrance of the drive way. This facility is older. The ice machine was broken while we were there. Housekeeping staff was kind to answer any questions we had.

The staff, service, beds, etc were all great. The carpet, however was dirty and looked like it needed to be replaced. The room had a very bad smell that didn't go away with use of the AC. The front desk said it was from the humidity (same thing I was told about odor in a Best Western in South Dakota last month), but we've never had that problem with other chain hotels. A nice touch they - they gave us "Grab and Go" bags when we checked out. Each bag had a bottle of water, an apple, and a granola bar. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would probably stay there again, but I would check the room first.

Room nice and clean. Bed comfortable. Room quiet. Breakfast adequate. Front desk staff nice and helpful. The only complaint we had was that the pool is unheated and therefore too cold to enjoy. Pool is unheated and in shadow of building during day so there is no chance to warm up. Would heat pool is the only suggestion I have. Otherwise a nice place. We spent 2 nights here.

I feel sorry for the people who gave this motel decent reviews. I have stayed in a wide variety of motels and hotels and this place is one of the worst. Our room had a door that had previously been kicked in but never replaced so it would not shut properly. My husband had to throw all of his weight against the door to get it to shut. And guess what - this meant the door was hard to open. I am not a fire marshall but my guess would be that this is a FIRE HAZARD. The wifi stinks and you get thrown off constantly. The beds are small with stains on the sheets. The carpet is filthy. If you plan on staying here, purchase a cheap pair of flip flops to wear around the room or your feet will be covered in dirt and hair. The bathroom smelled like a gas station. And the worse thing of all - the thermostat cannot be controlled by the tenant. Listen people- it is Missouri in the middle of the summer. We need the air conditioner to run more than 20 minutes on and 40 minutes off. The best thing I can say about this place is the refrigerator. When you get really hot in the middle of the night, you can open it and try and get a cool breeze. We had friends who stayed across the street at the Candelewood Inn. Opt for the Candlewood and thank me later.

We stayed in the double bed suite in the back of the complex. The room had a separate living area with huge closet and microwave and refrigerator. The room was clean, furniture old, dim lighting, linens thin and worn. The bed was not very comfortable it moves and shakes when you turn over. The breakfast was good.

This hotel is right off I-44 and is close to various restaurants. It appears that the hotel has been recently built or updated as all the decor looked current and was in good shape. The staff was very friendly and breakast was good. The breakfast area was somewhat small, but it was not crowded when I was there. The Best Western sign is not as tall as the other hotel signs, so it is a little hard to find at first. I would stay at this hotel again if staying in Joplin.

We stayed here as part of a traveling athletic group so we received a group rate which was nice. The rooms are those of a older hotel which are ok just of a different design. The sink is outside so if you get up to brush your teeth everyone else in the room is disturbed. The beds were small as my wife and I shared a bed and our son had his own. The rooms were clean and it was quiet even though this particular time the hotel was probably sold out. So by far not a top end place but definitely a great value.

Neosho is a decent sized town; it really should have a decent hotel. I have a client in the area and have to visit on occasion. Each time, there's something seriously wrong with the room. The first time, the A/C didn't work. My second visit - well let's just say there was a certain color stain on the bedspread that I wouldn't touch. So, they gave me another room. It was clean at least, except for the dead roach on the wall. The breakfast is typical carbs and chemical eggs. Freeze dried coffee too. I learned there is a really nice hotel about 30 miles away at a casino called Downstream. I wish I had known about that my first visit - I would much rather drive that distance every day back and forth to the client than return here.

Stayed here at the last minute after walking out of the hotel opposite. It was clean and comfortable, and the staff were super helpful. The pool and room were clean and well maintained. Basic but comfortable. The breakfast was good with a wide variety of food. Right off the Interstate so handy for travelling through . All in all a good stay.

clean and comfortable hotel. The decor is on the old and kinda worn out side but the bed was comfy and the AC was good. The plumbing was my only real issue. As with older properties the sinks are very slow to drain. All in all a fine place to stay for the price especially when on business and all you need is a safe, quiet, comfortable place to sleep.

I booked thru an online site and paid in advance. Unfortunately, the reservation was for the night prior to the night I actually wanted to stay there. I'm not sure if it was my mistake or not. I described the situation to the manager at the front desk and she said she would look into it. She booked me a room for that night. I did not hear back from her at all. On check out day I called the on line reservation number and described the situation to them. They said they had to talk to the hotel manger and they had to authorize them to refund for the night I did not stay there and she refused saying they were at 80% occupancy and it was not their policy to refund. That may be their policy, but to me its like stealing. I understand if they were sold out, but 80% occupancy, really. Any way, lesson learned. I will never stay at a Best Western again, and I will not prepay to an online reservation company again. Had I known she was not going to refund for the night I didn't stay there, I would have moved to another hotel that's more understanding of the business traveler.

Our family stayed for a baseball tournament.State championships. Several from our team stayed as well. Such nice and very helpful staff. From from desk to housekeeping all so sweet and helpful! Rooms very clean. Breakfast was very good. Very good coffee as well which was a nice surprise. Fresh fruit toppings for waffles. LOVE the late check out and pool is open 24 hours.. Just an all over nice stay for the money. Was very well pleased and if ever in Joplin I will stay again and will recommend to others. Cant say enough good about all the staff we encountered.

My experience was very uncomfortable. The floor was damp throughout. I felt like I had to keep shoes on my feet. We had two flies in the room which we killed, but there were two more by morning. Found two spiders, one crawling on the bed! Manager was not helpful. She said we didn't give her a chance to rectify the problem. That is hard to do at 3 a.m.! Would not return! Worst hotel experience in years!

They obviously spent a lot of time and energy renovating the lobby, but the room was only slightly better than the average Motel. Then there's my pet peeve of having HD TVs in the room with standard cable. Yuck. That being said, it was pretty clean, quiet, and comfortable. Having a dog, first floor outside entry is very convenient. They also had a decent pet relief area with picnic tables. Free cookies, good breakfast choices, and abundant coffee also pluses.

The furniture needs to be down sized to accommodate the room I had difficulty finding the facility due to the poor, temporary signage. Although the hotel was a motel style and the rooms were small and somewhat tired looking, the reception area and check in desk had modern upgrades. We are loyalty members with Best Western and staff were the friendliest and most accommodating we have ever experienced during the past two years in over two dozen Best Western Hotels we have stayed in. Freshly baked delicious cookies were available upon check in, the breakfast was great, and the staff insisted on giving us a snack bag for the road!! Price was VERY reasonable - cheapest we have paid - and the hotel is close to great restaurants for dinner within walking distance. We had a great meal at the Outback Steak House. We would definitely stay here again during out cross country travels!!

We picked the Best Western for the rewards system to earn point for a reward but probably should have stayed somewhere else. The noise level was bad because they were doing leaf blowing and other noise (construction noise?) directly behind the fence outside of our door. That also means our view from the room was a fence and guest left and right were standing outside smoking most of the time so we did not even want to leave the door open. There was an outside sitting area on some grass but since it was also the pet-pooping area there was a strong smell of urine and whatnot every time you walked past not even talking about wanting to sit there. The room itself was very small and you would not want to be a very large person if you actually want to be able to walk between the cabinet and wall to the sink/bathroom because you might not be able to get through. Sleep quality was poor because the bed was not very comfortable at all. The microwave/refrigerator/coffeemaker station was squeezed in next to the sink in the bathroom area and it was just hard to move around the room comfortably. The breakfast area in the lobby area was nice and modern unlike the room. There was a nice selection of fruit, cereal, baked goods and yogurt available. We wanted to do laundry but when we could not find the laundry room where it was supposed to be by the map/instructions in the room, my husband was handed a card at the front desk so we could walk across the parking lots to the neighboring hotel and do our laundry there. Since this was pretty inconvenient and we did not want to leave our laundry at a different hotel while it's washing we decided not to do laundry at all. Would not stay again.

Called to make a reservation, we needed a first floor room as my husband has a broken leg and we have a pet. Nate was very accommodating, arranging a room for us. He advised us that it had not been renovated. When we arrived the staff advised us of the same, the room was just fine, neat and clean. We enjoyed our stay and didn't care that we didn't have a granite countertop in the Bath Area, we had everything we needed. We noted this hotel on our travel map. We will be back.

I travel a lot, both for work and for pleasure. So I have a lot of experience with hotels in cities as best as NYC and Los Angeles to little towns in the south and mid-west that no one has ever heard of. So I maybe mistakenly assumed, based on my experiences with other major hotel chains, that there is a minimum standard for a big name hotel brand to maintain regardless of the location. I learned this trip that this is not the case. I had booked a stay with the Best Western thinking I could find something affordable but still of a decent quality for my few days in Joplin and to be honest, if I hadn't pre-paid for the room, I would have found another place to stay even before I checked in. My first issue with the hotel came when I needed to change my reservation - I had booked the room for 4 nights at one price and I ended up needing to shorten my stay by 2 days and the price went up by $15 a night when I did this! There was NOTHING in the policy in my confirmation email about a minimum night stay. The second issue came when I called the hotel the night prior to check in to explain I would be arriving in Joplin prior to their check in time of 3pm and I wanted to see if I could check in early. The person I spoke to on the phone told me that I could call the next day to see if anything would be available and that the hotel was not full that night so there shouldn't be a problem - especially after noon. I called again the next morning and the girl on the phone told me they didn't have any rooms available yet. I asked about what the employee I spoke to the night before said and I guess he was still there because I heard her asking him if he told me what I had claimed. She got back on the phone and told me I could call back at 12:30 and that, "If there's a room available I'll let you check in since someone gave you that information but I should be charging you an extra day's stay to check in early." Rude much? I called back at 1pm and spoke to a girl named Maria who was very nice and happy to allow me to come check into the hotel with no problems - she even warned me that she didn't have any ground floor rooms available which at the time didn't seem like a big deal. I arrived at the hotel which had no sign to identify it so we drove right past it twice before finally getting to the front desk and Maria was as friendly in person as on the phone and got checked in. I went up to my room (which I didn't realize prior to arriving was more of a "motel" style - only available from the exterior of the building, there is no interior to this hotel) and realized that this wasn't exactly what I had pictured when I booked a Best Western. The room had an ant problem, there were holes in our sheets and blankets (they appeared to be from cigarettes maybe?), the bathtub had rings around the edges from either soap or shampoo bottles or something. The noise level for this hotel was out of control - there must have been a group of people staying there in rooms that weren't together because all day and night people were running past my room. The housekeeping cart shook the door and windows when they went past. When we went up to our room after dinner one night, there was a group of people smoking... something... at the bottom of the staircase we needed to take up to our room so I no longer felt safe leaving the room without my boyfriend. The last straw was on the last day of my stay, I was waiting for my boyfriend to come back and get me to check out (which was at noon) and literally at 12:01 I had housekeeping banging down my door asking if I was leaving. I stayed here because I was trying to save a few dollars. Please, take it from me. Pay the extra $10 a night to stay at another hotel in the area. I am pretty much done with BW after this because what good is a recognizable brand name is in one area you could have an amazing stay (I have a previous review for the Best Western Eden Resort Inn in Lancaster which basically sang the praises of every thing about it) and then in another location have a room with bugs and cigarette burned sheets???

The Hotel location was great. The room was really good. I could park in front of my room. I could hear people outside talking. I could hear nothing from inside the hotel. So it wasn't hotel's fault. I have a thing about internet access. Theirs was so so. I wish hotels would spend the money and do better internet. But This one didn't. One point ding! Otherwise, this was a clean, convent place to stay and if you didn't need the internet access, it was GREAT. I didn't use the breakfast, but it was nice and if I had the time, I would have eat there. And the last thing that made a lot of difference was the PRICE. Very very good rate. I got a discount because I am a club member. And I'm AAA. It makes a difference. Makes the boss happy too! The Waffle house next door was good too. (I love Waffle houses!)

This was not a planned stop but we were so tired we decided to stop in Joplin. The desk clerk was very accommodating and apologetic that there was nothing left on the ground floor (I have a hard time with stairs). It was around midnight but he was able to give my husband and I a room upstairs that was closest to the stairs and lobby as possible. It made the end of our trip feel like a mini vacation.

A great breakfast! Muffins,waffles, bacon, sausage, toast, etc. There was a dedicated staff member at breakfast. Room was pretty basic but has been recently remodeled. Bathroom & shower has me til, etc. Carpeting not plush but pretty new. Room had a coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator. Staff was very friendly. A very good deal!

The ceremony was a couple of miles north just off Rangeline. This visit was when the same granddaughter made me a Great Grandpa at Mercy Hospital just across I-44 from the Best Western. That granddaughter lives in apartments visible just west of the Best Western. So, it is a great location.

Overall experience was poor. The staff seemed unhappy to be there based on multiple conversations held while they were smoking in the breezeway. The rooms were small and cramped. Access to a north side room was a maze filled with obstacles (i.e. storage sheds, cleaning equipment, etc.). Rooms were clean and continental breakfast service was friendly.

Good rates, nice location and a clean room. The walls were a little thin for a light sleeper but overall this place was clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly. There are no elevators and the doors to the room are on the outside so if you don't mind climbing a few stairs this might be your place. I would stay again

First, be aware this hotel has rooms with outside door access. Room smelled of heavy Cherry fragrance. Bathroom was clean and it did have an updated granite counter. The rest of the room had outdated chairs and cabinetry. The world as t experience was the mattress. We had a double room and both beds we're horrible. They we're so worn out they we're concave. We felt springs all night and didn't sleep well at all. Its also a little tricky navigating into the parking lot at night. Shares an entrance with a gas station. The only plus was the staff was friendly and welcoming. Bre as kfast had a decent selection and staff kept full. Down side I as the area to sir and it is really small and it was very tight with the crowd. Needs a lot more updates and amenities to keep up with the other hotels located on this street. Will not stay again and our bodies still ache from those mattresses hours later....

This hotel has great staff who go out of their way to make the stay enjoyable. when we arrived there were no BW sign to confirm our Hotel. We were told that BW is doing a brand change and the current sign was removed. Staff apologized for our several trips up and down the street searching for the hotel and gave us a discount which they did not have to do. We were impressed. Only little note to cleaning staff... Room 147 I dropped my toothpaste under the sink and went looking for it. Really needs a good cleaning there, dustbunnies everywhere there. Rest of the room fine.

Not a bad hotel at all for the price. It was clean, quiet, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only hiccup was that our room keys didn't work, but that was handled immediately. My kids destroyed the breakfast it's always good when we don't have the pay for that!

the front door leaked air so the room was hot then cold and could hear everything that was going on out side witch went on all night and could hear the people next door thru the connecting doors. The night clerk was pushy to get me out of there, gave me no info about the place. the morning staff was nice and pleasant.

This place isn't bad but I have trouble calling a motel where room doors open to the outside, a suite, in any capacity. Check-in was quick and staff is friendly, room was a bit small. Biggest complaints would be the very hard bed and general noise level. Proximity to street and hotel setup seem to accentuate noise. Room was very clean, and contained fridge and a microwave. Shower also quite clean, good water pressure. Seems to be an older place, but not bad. Got thru Hotwire where I later saw was recommended by 45% of users. I'd probably stay again, if just one night and a quick trip.

The hotel staff was very nice and check in was easy as we booked ahead of schedule. Room was nice and clean. Parking was good and we enjoyed our stay for the night. Room looked as if it had been updated with flat screen TV, mini fridge, microwave and coffee pot. Hard wood lead into sink area and went to the bathroom then became tile. Overall good quality stay especially for the price.

this is a common stop for me and my husband driving accross country. this facility is quiet and well located. the staff are very friendly and helpful. i did have to complain about the lumpy bowled bed in my room, but of all my many stays here, it was the 1st time i encountered a bad bed. the manager was most helpful in rectifying the problem. i will always stay here on my way accross country.

Got a late start on a road trip from Austin to St Louis. Decided to pullover and crash here. Got a King Suite. It was much smaller than I expected and not really a "SUITE" at all. It had a king bed with a couch and sitting area next to it. There was a teeny fridge and a microwave next to the TV. I was expecting a separate BR/Living room combination with a kitchen area and some space to stretch out. The room was clean. They waived the $10 charge for my cats. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The free breakfast was much better than expected with eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles, fruit, juice, coffee, yogurt, danishes, cereals and a ton of other stuff. Plenty of hot water, decent towels, adequate makeup lighting, right off the highway. surprisingly it was very quiet. The only real negative is there are no luggage carts to help with your bags. I made several trips to the parking lot to retrieve pet carriers, luggage, coolers, litter box, etc. Thankfully we had a ground floor room but it was on the back side away from the parking lot. The area is safe and well lit and walking to the back side of the property presented no problems. Basically for less than $100 including taxes. It was a good deal and I'll probably stay here again when I go to visit family up the road. The staff and awesome breakfast made the review 4 star. They really made us feel welcome and at home. They have free wifi but I won't use public connections so I can't rate it.

hotel and staff are helpful and excellent! love the large selection for breakfast, eggs, waffles, biscuits and sausage gravy all the cereals and drinks. outdoor pool during season. It's a very classy place.

This motel is undergoing a renovation, so there are workmen and their vehicles blocking certain areas. But the staff makes up for it. Very cheerful, kind and helpful. The room wasn't new, but it was spotless and the beds were very comfortable. I will definitely be back!

Was great value and it was very close to places to eat and to gas up . They were doing upgrading on the outside that was coming along very nicely . We would stay there again .. The people at the front desk made checking in a breeze and checking out was just as nice.

Excellent welcoming staff, answered all my questions about area and hotel. Very clean room and comfortable. Would stay here again if going to Joplin again. was here for ncaa championship cross country meet. They directed me to the college, gave me good advice on where to eat. Excellent breakfast in the morning.

Even thro this hotel is going thru some changes and not all things were up and running is was very nice. The staff was very helpful. We ask about the laundry and were told it was being remodeled however they did give us a voucher to the other hotel in the property and we did it there for free. This is a very nice hotel and it wont cost you and arm and your leg.

I have been taking my track teams to Joplin for the past five years. We love to stay at the Best Western. It is very affordable and clean. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I highly recomend the Best Western to all who are visiting Joplin especially sports teams.

"Making a reservation is a joke"

The hotel was clean, the staff friendly and the breakfast OK, but getting the room listed on your reservation doesn't happen. My wife is handicapped with MS; so naturally I always make a reservation requesting an ADA room. This hotel also has parking outside each room which makes access for her even easier. We arrived late as planned (9:00 PM) to find that our ADA room is not available and to make matters worse, the room assignment is in the last building where access from the parking lot is difficult. I made the mistake of reserving another ADA room here for our return trip through Joplin. The manager assured me that we would have an ADA room with late arrival. Guess what? A carbon copy of our first visit. If you stay here and arrive late, there's no good reason to make a reservation because they don't honor it anyway. The manager did provide a $50 discount, but it didn't make our stay any easier or safer.

Stayed two nights at this hotel for business. I am a rewards member and I try to stay at Best Westerns whenever the city I am in has one. This Best Western means well, but could do better. Check-in was great, everyone was super friendly. The room was nice, they are redoing the rooms and I believe our room had new carpet and paint. It was very clean. I was locked out of our room when returning the second day and our room was quite aways from the front desk. I know that hotel room keys can be easily demagnetized so I purposefully keep them away from magnets. I then had to wait while guests in front of me were checked in before I could get my keys fixed and return back to my room. When you have worked all day, this is the last thing you want to have to do. Also, breakfast eggs were watery both days and the hotel ran out of coffee creamer. There is a real business problem with Saturday mornings, having only one person at the desk to check out guests and serve the breakfast area is not fair to the worker or to the guests.

"Worst place I've ever been "

My husband and I booked a king suite and the room was absolutely horrible. We should've left as soon as we walked in. The bedspread was stained and the room smelled like mold and urine. But it was late and we had already been on the road for 12 hours. So we attempted to stick it out. That's until I got up to use the bathroom and saw roaches scatter. We left immediately and are now driving another 4 hours home at 1AM. We've stayed at many Best Westerns and have never had an experience like this

We were honestly very dissatisfied with our stay with Best Western Oasis in Joplin MO. It was a first & last time experience for us . We just couldn't believe the fact that they had all sorts of things plugged into a surge protector & they had multiple things plugged into it ! The rooms were dirty & outdated & not worth the money we paid for it for sure. The Door to the room was warped & the Dog Walk was right in the middle of The Patio Set where people are supposed to go set & eat or talk. It was ridiculous. We have stayed in numerous Hotels over the years that didn't have the name your chain has & it was so much nicer, cleaner & much much more safe ! Please upgrade & do yourself a favor , before advertising how great your place is make sure it really fits the bill !

"Nothing Impressive"

We stayed here in May for a friend's wedding, so there was a whole block of rooms that was booked. This is an older hotel with the walkways on the outside, no indoor corridors. The weekend we stayed it was rainy, so it was difficult for us to go room to room without getting wet. (In a regular hotel we could have had an interior hallway and kept doors open across and been easier to visit with each other). One afternoon we moved some chairs that were in a picnic area over to sit outside one of the rooms (remember it was raining, so no one was sitting outside in the picnic area) and the staff seemed a little annoyed that we moved the chairs. We did make sure that we took them back when we were done The pool is outside, so we weren't able to use that either. The rooms are small but they were ok. Our bathroom door had someone else's hair bands left on the door knob when we checked in. One of our friends asked for extra towels (they had 4 adults in their room) and they were told no. Our iron didn't work and housekeeping was quick to replace it for us. There is a small closet with the kind of hangers that you can't remove. The continental breakfast was fine with the normal variety of yogurt, cereal, bagels, waffles, fruit, etc. . Overall this hotel was just OK.

We had a comfortable night's stay. They were having problems with the key cards but the front desk came to us twice rather than have us go back and forth. Several other rooms were having the same problem. They had a new machine ordered to arrive the next day.
