Best Western The Oasis at Joplin

Nice property located near the Interstate on Rangeline. Staff is efficient and friendly. Breakfast is a normal hotel spread - the buffet is kept clean and stocked . We had a ground floor accessible room that we could access from the outside. Shower had an adjustable head and great water pressure. This is my go-to hotel in Joplin.

They took my money and wouldn't give me the room after taking my money because I'm from the same zip code/city where they're located. It'll be 3-5 business days before I get my money back. This place is irrational. The front desk girl was nice and apologetic but the policies of the owner are a little archaic.

I have to admit that I am a hotel snob and had just never tried BW. I guess I had some perceived notions that it would not be nice enough. I had to make an emergency trip to Joplin where I often stay and none of my usual hotels were available. I came across this BW and thought the reviews looked good so I booked it. First and foremost every single person I came in contact with was over the top polite and friendly. I knew if I were to have any issues, I would get great service. The hotel seems to be recently renovated and everything looked fairly new. Bed was comfortable but I was not a fan of the pillows, but I usually am not no matter where I stay. The room was spotless. I am a clean freak and am very particular about cleanliness. This is the type of hotel where you park and walk right in to your room, so if you have pets, it is a massive plus. I didn't try the breakfast but they appeared to have a lot of options. We will be back in Joplin in two weeks and I plan to take the dog along and stay here again.

Overall experience was ok. Price of the room ok, but the sink has an issue. Water shoots out of the sink and gets you totally soaked. Gets water all over the floor causing a trip hazard, Really poor design.

I can't say enough about how great the staff is at Joplin Oasis. Everyone is friendly and helpful and their Manager Kalinda went above and beyond to help us out when we left personal belongings in the room. I would always recommend a stay at this Best Western.

This is an old, old 2 story building that creaks, squeaks and moans with every single step taken by guests. Sleeping is impossible due to the noise. If a hotel cannot even give a guest a reasonable chance at a night's rest, that's a fail in my book. Front desk is friendly but understaffed. Check in was 30 minutes with a long line. Management should provide more support.

We had a great experience at this hotel. The plant is older, but it was very clean and the people at reception and in the breakfast area were all very friendly. The bed was comfortable, and what we thought might be an issue - noise - was not. We will definitely use this facility again.

It's not often that companies provide a "real" person to speak with while requesting their business services. This facility provided personal service to the max. Throughout the entire process the employees not only listened, they delivered!

Breakfast offered is a nice breakfast but if you can't take advantage then what is the point. Most travelers want to hit the road and offering a 7:00 breakfast does not accommodate that. I have been staying at Best Western's for over 20 years and the 6:00 standard time has been prevalent. I have stayed at this specific BW over 20 times and will not be doing that any more.

This is my second stay at this property. Plan to stay again next year while visiting Joplin, MO! As always staff was very helpful, professional in all respects. The property is very well located, close to gas station, and within many restaurants, in fact, within walking distance! Recommend this property to all visiting this area!

We were traveling on I-44 and decided to stay at the hotel because it is like the old-time hotels. The customers can park their cars in front of their room. The hotel was very clean and quiet although it's an easy get off and get on I-44. There are plenty of restaurants nearby the hotel. The staff was very polite and efficient. We will definitely stay there again.

Absolutely horrible. For the same price, I could have stayed at a much nicer hotel. I paid $130 for the following: -The blanket was a cheap throw blanket with a white sheet on top of it -No hand soap -A thin spring mattress on top of a spring base that makes sounds every time you move. Every other hotel I have been to uses a solid base. -The pillows are throw size pillows without pillow cases -Lots of trash around the property -Large gap in the doorway near the bottom so sunlight came through and anyone walking by could hear what I was doing and peer through. -Free breakfast? No eggs, the sausage looked old, but compliments to the chef on the biscuits I don't see any reason why anyone would stay here. It's expensive and extremely low quality. They have a lot of improvements to do before they can start justifying the prices they charge. I wouldn't be complaining if I only paid $50 but I was definitely ripped off.

The hotel was OK clean. The room had dead bugs that needed vacuuming. The floor had stains all over like the room was used for a party. The perceived safety around the property was poor. People smoking marijuana everywhere around property. Guests were having a party at 7am and were visibly intoxicated and loud while other families were waking up and trying. To get their children out of the room and into their vehicles. The intoxicated people were playing very loud music with a lot of curse words. Again this was at 7am. Just a normal run of the mill motel that is ok clean and good for a night to crash and leave immediately. Just not comfortable or relaxing.

Good place. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Only downside for me was outside corridors and double beds and not queen sized. Thing says it needs 200 characters so I guess I will keep typing until I hit it. Just did!

The motel is easily access and it is close To the restaurant and fast food places in Joplin Missouri it has a convenient way to get on I 44 for traveling it's it's on the main street going through Joplin Missouri

This hotel was somewhat recently remodeled. The bed was comfortable and the room was a bit small but located on the ground floor so easy to keep an eye on the car. Moving across the country with luggage on top so was glad of the access and visibility of the car. Good value for available options in town. The voices of the the neighboring room were easily heard so if sensitive to that maybe ask for a room by itself or choose another option.

They charge a $25.00 early check in fee. The owner decided to do this beginning of this year. The outside kinda looks an extended stay place. The room though was immaculate. Staff was very professional and courteous.

We drove 990 miles before arriving in Joplin. The hotel had the lowest room rates on line and the room was just as nice as other properties at higher prices. The bed was one of the best mattresses we have slept on in a while. Save your money and stay here!

First off I want to state that I'm a Platinum member and like the brand, I've written many reviews from my stays and they are all positive on both the staff and facility. but, on this stay in Joplin, MO I have to give the facility a negative review as the issue I had was with the front door not securely shutting, leaving a gap that let cold air in that we notice at around 10 pm, so I had to use the spare sheets and seal the door gap to stop the air leak and be able to sleep. this is a facility maintenance issue and shouldn't have to have the customer identify this issue. it was late and notifying the front desk wouldn't have done much I'm sure and we were not going to change rooms as all our stuff was not packed. Additionally, I was contacted by the general manager after my review and it was just a canned statement as follows, "on behalf of our entire team, I would like to apologize for not exceeding your expectations, your satisfaction is important to us". This is what bothers me about the statement, I paid the full amount of money for the stay and didn't get my fair value back, stating a canned statement doesn't cut it, you can at least provide me with some points or a free night to accommodate my issue, saying just words is actually worthless. so just a heads up if you stay at this location folks, check the room before taking your luggage in for the night. by the way, the staff was nice on the check-in and extra towels, yes we needed extra towels as well.

It's hard to find a place to sleep in bad weather. They were very accommodating with my schedule, I only needed a place for 8 hours, I am a Nurse, and was working the night shift and needed a place to sleep during the day, plus gave me a discount because I am a nurse.

We really enjoyed this location. Room was clean beds felt clean. We can pull our car right up to our room and unload our bags. We just did not enjoy the breakfast. That is one of the main reasons we are best western members. Having breakfast makes it's easier on us.

As a Diamond Select Member, this was my first at this property. Great location, easy to locate, close to almost anything one would require. I highly recommend it to all who travel in this area! I plan to book a room here the next time I'm in this area.

Clean rooms and courteous staff members. We took tell everyone works hard to make sure the rooms are clean and the guest are taking care of. We enjoyed the hot breakfast that was served each day. We would definitely recommend staying at this place.

Very good amenities as a jumping off point for exploring Route 66 moving westward. Good night's sleep, very good breakfast, friendly and helpful staff. Very nice Best Western hotel, will definitely stay again if/when in the area.

My husband and I stayed here for an overnight trip. The Oasis is a very appropriate name; we were very exhausted from the day's events. Check in was quick and easy, and the lady who checked us in was so sweet and helpful, letting us know about places available nearby to eat at. Parking area was plentiful and well lit. The room was beautiful, clean, and cool. The bed was comfortable. I used the shampoo and conditioner provided, and it worked well on my hair. Breakfast was sausage, biscuits, gravy and eggs. They had waffles, fruit, cereal, toast and bagels. This is one of the few places we've stayed at that actually had good coffee! They also had juice and milk. The young lady that worked in the breakfast area did such a great job at keeping the food and coffee replenished. Check out was quick, and the lady at check out was very friendly and kind. We have stayed at many places where the staff was rude or not very helpful, so we will definitely give our future business to The Oasis, and will recommend it to friends and family. This hotel sits in the middle of 2 gas stations, in a very undesirable part of town. The room and the hall were clean enough, but the clientele it attracts was from a rougher group. The breakfast consisted of cold cereal, oatmeal, pancakes, coffee and juice. This hotel in reality looks nothing like its picture.

This was a clean and friendly place, but children were running around after 10:00 PM. The breakfast was delightful, and the coffee eye opening. The ice-machine room could do with a little bit of clean. The hotel staff were mostly friendly!

Filthy room. Had sticky stuff all over the curtains and then tried to CHARGE ME for it! Tried talking to them to no avail and now I have to dispute it with my bank. Would not recommend staying here at all.

There were only two things that I had a problem with. Entry to the property was a bit confusing and they had no guest laundry. The first one was solved by using GPS and the second by staff recondition. They were awesome!

It was a 1 night stay after a long driving trip and it was worth every penny. From friendly staff to comfortable and clean room to a very nice breakfast, we will definitely stay in this hotel again. There's the normal wear and tear but the room we stayed in was clean and in order.

Clean rooms, friendly check-in staff. Close to Interstate 44 and all restaurants and shopping. Drive way is confusing to enter via Google Maps We did not partake in breakfast but is until 10:00am on the weekends.

This hotel is a cat fish. Looks good in pictures, then when you show up, it's cheap as all hell...bring your own pillows, you're gunna need em. The staff was very friendly and there is a waffle house in walking distance

The Best Western in Joplin was pleasant to stay at for the night. It was a clean room with a comfortable bed. Free breakfast was available in the morning. The area was quiet and comfortable. We enjoyed ourselves.

I was very impressed and pleasantly surprised by the hotel room. It was totally clean, in perfect condition, and recently remodeled in a very attractive modern style. The staff at check in and check out were pleasant and professional. The only minor negatives were: exterior entrances, no elevator, smallish room, and a skimpy breakfast. These are all minor issue and the important thing is the room was very clean and in perfect condition. I would gladly stay here again.

I arrived at the hotel at 11:30 pm with a reservation for another night. Unfortunately they were sold out so the staff called around until they found me another room. Outstanding customer service. The following night I did stay at the hotel and was extremely impressed with the room. The room appears to be recently renovated. Everything was clean and modern and so was the bathroom. The tv had multiple channels along with an onscreen tv guide making it easy to find what you want to view. My only complaint about the motel is that the room doors face the outside and not into a hallway. This made it possible to hear every conversation outside along with every car alarm being set. The hotel is set back off the main street so at least street noise is not a problem. Unfortunately this made for a very restless night. I recommend a room on the top floor or you will hear the people above you. The only other quirk that I thought was weird is that they do not allow for you to check in early even if they have clean rooms. I travel for a living and this was the first hotel that ever said that to me. This gave me a lot of pause about returning in the future.

Hotel is simple, very clean, close to restaurants,and affordable. Breakfast was good with many choices. Room was small but met all our needs. Staff were friendly. We Would stay again when visiting Joplin. We experienced no problems during our stay.

There was urine buildup all around the base of the toilet, the shower walls had not been scrubbed and even had dried blood on back wall, there was a dirt ring all the way around the walls of the bathroom floor, the floor by the vanity had dirt buildup and large pieces of trash laying on the floor. There were pieces of paper all over the floor. None of the towel, toilet paper, clothes hanging dryer fixtures had been wiped or dusted in several months and has dust and dirt residue caked on them.

Bathroom Cleanliness was way below standards. There was urine all around the floor of the toilet base and on the wall behind the toilet. The shower had not been scrubbed in some time and was full of body oils and soap scum. The floors had dirt build up all the way around the walls and especially across the front of the tub. Under the dryer between the wall and vanity had not been scrubbed in months and had dirt buildup and paper and trash laying in plain site. Toilet paper holder, clothes hanging bracket, hand towel bracket, dryer and shower rod had not been dusted or wiped clean in months as well.

The room was very clean! The bed was very comfortable! The staff was very friendly, accommodating and helpful. The room was small, but we only used it to sleep. The exercise room was perfect for a nice workout for a short stay. We would definitely stay here the next time through Joplin!

Stopped here many times over the years and it is always the same in a positive way. Never ever having to worry about cleanliness and knowing the price is reasonable. The staff is attentive, friendly and seem to know weather and road conditions. It is truly relaxing and comforting like home!

We enjoyed this hotel immensely! I felt safe here and the room was very clean. We had a king room. The overall size of the room was small, but with just my husband and me, it was perfect. We had everything we needed to rest up for the night on our cross-country trip. I would stay here again!

Tami done a superb job at checkin, very professional and knowledgeable with hotel and area information. Diana was very efficient with accommodation and comfort for my family. And kept the coffee ready in the lobby for I love coffee throughout the day. Very good Folgers coffee. My family thanks you Tami & Diana. And plan to return our next way to Missouri.

I flew from Boston to Joplin for live music at the #CodaConcertHouse and had everything I needed at Best Western Oasis - Clean room, courteous staff, superb breakfast and convenient to the venue as well as plenty of great places to eat!

Nice stay, nice rooms, up to date. Refer and microwave, coffee maker, satellite TV. Room was clean and up to date. Make your own waffles and the normal selection of free breakfast foods. Would stay here again.

I stayed at the Best Western Oasis in Joplin on my way back to Columbus Ohio from Los Angeles. I was very happy with my room. It was clean. The room seemed to have been recently re-decorated. My bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was clean and the shower worked well. There were lots of grassy areas for my pets to walk and there was a dedicated pet area with poop bags. I highly recommend the Oasis if you are traveling through Joplin. I was too tired to get up for the breakfast. I had some of the best sleep in my weeklong travel because of the bed and the AC keeping the room nice and cool.

Rooms doors with damage cold air blowing in all night. Also charged 30.00 per room when using reward points. I've been at multiple locations and have never had this happen. Was told charges would reverse once points cleared.. I have to use them when I book seems like a scam.

smoke from dust in heater set fire alarm off, was told to wave my hands by smoke alarm. stepped on nail and had no garbage cans in room. front desk gave me a garbage sack to use. only had 2 small pillows for king size bed. They said that was now policy.

I was there to see family going through a rough time and Cole just made the visit so smooth and easy. It's one of the best experiences I've ever had. Everything was perfect and all my needs were met, and even surpassed. Will definitely visit again.

The hotel is conveniently located near the interstate, The room was clean and nicely updated. Great value!! Friendly environment. I asked about local restaurants and the guy at the front desk recommended an excellent one. The only quirk was it is a bit tricky to drive back to the hotel from the main street.

I will never stay at another Best Western. The staff was rude, didn't have my reserved room and acted like that was my fault. Then the toilet was loose on its base, the tv didn't work, and there was only decaf coffee available. I was supposed to stay two nights and checked out early. The gal at the desk didn't ask why, so I didn't share any of the above. Please note that EVERYONE else I met in Joplin was super nice and wonderful to be around.

I work overnight and find it hard to get a place at 7 am since check in is usually at 11. They allowed me to check in early and gave me a discount for being a healthcare worker.. Which made me feel valued. The front staff member was very friendly, professional and informative. I payed very little compared to other hotels in Joplin area because of the discound which no other hotel has given me. The only thing I did not like was that the floor in the bathroom and sink area was very sticky. Made it feel it was not clean. So maybe the cleaning products used need to be changed. I also noted some facial hair in sink. The bed was not so soft. But overall due to the fact that they worked with me on early check in and they gave me an incredible discount I would stay there again.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The facility is safe, clean, and comfortable. They have a nice breakfast with eggs, sausage, gravy, waffles, and fruit. The facility is just off I-44. Very convenient. There is an outdoor pool. I highly recommend staying here. The beds and pillows are comfortable. The rooms are spacious.

The room we stayed in needed some basic maintenance and cleaning. The floor molding was off the wall in several places. The floor is laminate not carpet and needed sweeping. The bed was so old that it sagged in the middle. While a pet friendly hotel, patrons didn't take of their pets messes so the room had several flies. Breakfast was good. The pool was clean and refreshing.

I went to hotel around 1 AM after working late and I was very tired. This hotel is right next to a Denny's so plans were to get room and go eat. I go to the front desk and there was a sign saying they had stepped away and would be right back. I stood there for a little bit and noticed a restroom sign on the wall with a big brown trash can holding the door open. I opened the door and looked in. I didn't see anything – just looked clean. Nothing looked wet. I stepped in to wash my hands and while doing this, someone said hello? I said I'm washing my hands and was wanting to see if you had any rooms available. I began coming out of the restroom and this lady said really loud, “What are you doing? The floor is wet! Can't you see the sign?” and then points at a yellow sign caution sign that was beside the trash can. I said, “I'm sorry I didn't see the sign”. She stepped up very close to me and yelled, “You seen the sign, you just don't care! We are sold out! You get out of here!” I said, “What's the matter with you? Why are you acting like this?” She said, “You get out of here immediately!” I said, “I'm a diamond member, why are you treating me like this?” She said, “I don't care who you are, get out of here!” On my way out, I asked her name…she said it's Jerri. She said, “Now get out of here!” I have NEVER been treated like this anywhere. Jerri was hostile and, in my opinion, has some serious mental health issues. I felt like she could very easily get violent. I have stayed many times at this hotel over the past 20 years and have always had excellent service and been treated with respect. I believe this hotel has security camera's and I would strongly suggest they look and listen to the way she acted on 07/10/2021 between 1:00 to 1:15 AM.

Stopped briefly overnight with our dog. Night staff was friendly and welcoming but our guest room was absolutely disgusting. The hard floors were sticky, there was dust, dirt, and trash that had not been previously cleaned, and the TV remote also felt sticky. It's almost as if housekeeping had been using dirty wash cloths and old mop water to clean the rooms hard surfaces. There was no sprinkler (for fire) located in the room, and the walls were paper thin (we could hear our upstairs neighbors clog dancing until roughly 12:30am). Upon checkout early the next morning the woman at the counter seemed to not care that our room was dirty and had sticky floors. My advice: unless you're ok with staying over in a dirty hotel room, avoid this location.

Traveled to Joplin for baseball tournament and arrived late at night. The staff was fantastic from start to finish. The room was clean with a fantastic air conditioner to cool us all off after hot days at the baseball field. The breakfast was hot fast and tasty, exactly what we needed for 8 am games. It's not the Taj Mahal but it was what we wanted exactly when we needed it .If we ever have the need to travel to Joplin again there is no question about where we will stay. Y'all were great

Really affordable MOTEL, but definitely not where you would want to stay to be pampered. OK if you're just stopping for the night and need a bed. The breakfast was adequate but I would have gone elsewhere for breakfast if we had time. NO place to sit privately alone, which is really important to me. If you can afford better, go elsewhere!

Won't go back due to the awful smell in room especially after attending a funeral plus we were told there was security, which there wasn't. There was no wall decor and the wall plugs looked.weird The bed was so uncomfortable my back has hurt since then. No security as promised and you could hear everything above you

First off, as 2 younger women traveling alone, I did *not* realize this was a motel. I never would have stayed here had I realized. Once we got in the room things were good, but our room was in the second building. The stairs on either end are towards the back of the building, so we weren't going up those. The stairs in the middle, nearest our room, had a man that was clearly drunk, smoking directly outside his room. He was also standing in the middle of the stairway, and since it was 10pm at night when we arrived, that didn't feel safe either. In the morning, the people outside the room talking seemed extremely loud. I then realized the door at the bottom didn't shut all the way. It looked like it had been forcefully pushed open at some point. The room itself was fine- about what you would expect for a place with 3.8 stars. Water pressure in the shower was great, though I think the water was hard water, as my hair was quite tangly- way more than usual. Room seemed very clean

Rooms are out of date, chipped flooring. We were given a room in the little annex building. This is a motel not a hotel. Requested extra pillows, had to put on our own pillowcases. No bed beg covers on the mattress. It was late and had a kid to put to bed so looked past the above details. Unfortunately the bathtub knob would not work. The only temperature was scalding hot so we couldn't bathe. Called the front desk and they had no non-smoking rooms left. Changed to the Hampton Inn.

Easy to get to from Highway, simple check-in, friendly staff, very nice stay. due to covid, breakfast is limited to Togo boxes of Biscuits and gravy, At least its still offered. Plenty of space for parking as I had Pickup Truck and Trailer to park, I would stay again if I was around there again.

Room was in poor condition - shower was loose and off the wall, dirty towels were left behind by cleaning service, empty cigarette boxes and beer bottles on the grounds outside the room - strong odor.

We got in to our room later at night. Hoping our kids could watch tv to wind down. However, our TV didn't work and the room smelled like cigarette smoke. There were no kleenex in the room either. The manager was supposed to call back regarding our stay, but never did. Customer service is definitely missing. Would not recommend.

Best Western has clean rooms at reasonable rates. The desk clerks were very friendly & helpful. They offered suggestions as to where to eat when I asked what was available & they give you a list of what's in the area. Check in & check out were quick. I would stay there again!

Best Western is by far the best when it comes to customer service! Check in was quick with knowledgeable and helpful staff. Rooms were clean & easily accessible. Great selection of tv channels, and Wi-Fi available as well.

The Best Wester Oasis in Joplin is an older facility and the rooms reflect the age. However, my room was clean and quite. The price at this facility is a little higher than similar Best Westerns. I assume this is because it is located near tourist areas and casinos.

We pulled in to BW Joplin tired and weary from the road, and the desk staff person was friendly, helpful in choosing our rooms. In no time we were off with keys in hand to relax. The building is clean, tidy and rooms were odorless and clean. The rooms are exterior entry type.

Stayed here for a night on business and the atmosphere and decor are great. Vending is cash only and very limited. Room was clean. Coffee maker worked great and the refrigerator/freezer was awesome to have.

Check-in was quick as I arrive very late and the room was very nice for the money. I have stayed here in the past and would stay again in the future. Bonus is the Waffle House right in front of the property!

It was a motel not a hotel and very old facility. Mattresses were old and there were stains on sheets. The couch bed very old and the mattress was very uncomfortable. The phones in the room were no good.

Bea at the front desk is so nice and helpful! Great customer service! I will come back again just because of how welcome she made us feel. I locked myself out of the room first thing and she was so helpful and quick to get new key cards made so I could get right back in! Thank you BEA!

Highly don't recommend this hotel. The room smelt, the tv and cable didn't work. Called for that to get fixed took 35 mins to figure it out. Had to ask three times for WiFi password just over all was not a good experience when I should have stayed at the hotel I thought I was booking holiday inn right next door

This Best Western in Joplin was clean and quiet. The temps dropped into the low 30's, so we had to run the heater, and to my surprise, it was quiet as well! The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Beatrice was very nice and friendly also the girl in the morning was nice and awesome grab & go breakfast, we had to check in than come back in a half hour but they hadn't inspected the rooms yet so I would rather wait for them to be inspected and cleaned properly

Don't let the outside fool you with the building being older! I have never left a review before at any hotel that I have stayed at, however I wanted to give this hotel a five star. Room's are very clean, and you can tell they have been recently remodeled i will definitely stay there again.

This hotel is located in a great area if looking to be near variety of restaurants. Sadly it is out dated and smells old. It seemed to be cleaned well but there bathroom grout is dirty and the flooring throughout needs replacing. There was little to no water pressure when taking a shower.

We finished our 13 day/15 state trip at the Joplin Best Western. We saved the best for last. Amid the covid protections, we were satisfied with the cleanliness and precautions taken. The staff was so friendly and caring.

The team was amazing very friendly and always ready to help. The room was emaculent. Really easy to find from Rangeline. Parking lot was really well lit with plenty of parking. Check in was wonderful with a very informative staff member. Loved the stay and will definitely be back!!

I find my stays at Best Western Oasis, Joplin, to be consistent in experience. the rooms are well-maintained and clean. The motel has taken great steps to keep guests healthy during the pandemic. They are currently providing brown bag breakfasts instead of the hot breakfast. This is our go-to motel when we stop overnight in Joplin on a recurring journey through Missouri. I stay on the way "out" and the way "back."

Building on the outside looks new and updated, the rooms however are another story. Floors were filthy,Ice bucket was dirty,shower had absolutely no water pressure at all, wi-fi did not work, T.V connection was very poor,kept loosing connection. If it wasnt so late and I was not so tired I would have demanded a refund and went elsewhere

The non- smoking rooms wreak of cigarette smoke. The flooring was put in by an amateur. There was a hole in the bathroom door that looked to be shape like someone's head. The AC barely worked. The water barely came out of the sink. There was mold inside the seems on the curtains. It is one of those where you go to sleep and pray nothing is crawling on you. The pool was open though and that was nice. They were actually doing breakfast. I didn't have that though.

This place is turning into a third rate casino hotel. Our group called in that we were running late and would be in from Texas at 11:30 pm. We had called to confirm the day of and done things on-line. It got messed up leaving our group of 4 without a suite. We ended up having to share twin beds after 12 hours on the road. The refrigerator did not work at all and the sink was very slow to drain. It reeked of cigarette smoke. There was puke in the lot. Because there is a casino up the road, most of the other cars appeared to be driven by people who had more than a few too many, it was near midnight on a weekend night. There is also things that the hotel cannot control, the roads at night in Joplin are not well marked and layed out in a strange one-way only design that is not good when you are dead tired and everyone else on the road is drunk. A questionable area sums up the location.- I am not saying you will be raped and eaten by coyotes, but you could be and the staff would be more likely to steal the wallet off your corpse than to call the police.

This is a budget hotel in a questionable area. Nice staff, but very slow check in. There was an old blood stain on one of our pillows and the trash outside was heaping the entire stay. It was definitely not worth the amount paid.

My room stunk to high heaven of cigarettes. It was supposed to be non smoking. The room was downtrodden and not particularly clean. I had to walk by a pile of trash to get to it, and the area around it was poorly lighted. It was not a particularly good value. There are other choices nearby and I'd choose one. I'm surprised and disappointed since it was a Best Western.

Nasty, smelly, dirty room. We walked by overflowing piles of trash to get to it. It reeked of cigarette smoke from obviously being a former smoking room. It was so bad it kept my husband awake. We had some food and drinks to cool down and the refrigerator wasn't working. No electrical outlets anywhere near the desk. I could go on.....DON'T stay here.

As soon as we entered we were not impressed. The bed looked like someone else had slept in it. The counter by the tv & microwave had tons of cup rings all over it so it clearly wasn't wiped down. We were not provided a “fresh remote”. This was clear because the remote was by the bed & the Fresh remote wrapper was by the microwave. There were bugs in the room as well. The staff was nice but clearly the housekeepers aren't cleaning. I would expect better considering we are in the middle of a pandemic & the Cleaning should be very important.

1st room found pair of underwear in bed. So, I was laying in sheets someone else slept in & floor was tore up. 2nd room smelled like a chain-smoker lived in there for 20 yrs. Management was very nice. But cleaning people aren't cleaning!

We needed to break our trip up due to my mother in laws back pain and RA. We asked for two rooms (kind and queen) on the bottom floor next or near each other. We ended up next to one another, our room had a recliner and hers did not. I asked if they could check the next room to see if it had a recliner and it did. They kindly let us move her there and went back to the office to get her new keys for us. So kind to take care of her. They had a little outdoor area where we brought dinner back to. It was nice. And I spent the rest of the evening in their rocking chaise lounges next to the pool. They were very comfortable and I want some for my house. Our bed wasn't great, but my mother in law said her bed was like a cloud. Just perfect for her. No huge complaints. Typical traveling hotel/motel stuff. The staff was what made this a 5 star rating.

Dirty room. Desk clerk didn't care. Poorly fitting outside door. Noisy at 2 am. Garbage in lawn and around building. Most disappointing experience. Used to be a quality hotel. Not any more. E - - - - - -.

Very nice location, comfy rooms, comfy beds. Semi truck parking available and nice clean and quiet location. Joe the manager was awesome! Due to covid the gym was closed and hot breakfast suspended...

Friendly staff at front desk check in. Checked in quickly and got to my room within 10 minutes. Room is comfortable with everything you need. Microwave, frig, a bonus! Right off the highway near plenty of restaurants. Room clean and fresh.

Hair in bathtub, on toilet seat, and urine & hair around bottom of toilet. Phone, coffee pot, microwave, dresser, table, and tv were not dusted or sanitized at all. There were Fleas in bed. Very loud. People running or stomping in room above me, slamming doors, and yelling until after midnight. Love the design and decor of the hotel and the room.

This was the worst experience No room cleaning, room key didn't work, bad smell in room , the door was stuck, I told the front desk and just said sorry, I'll never go back to a best western hotel in my life, and I'll not recommend to any one

I myself am a Best Western employee, but in California. I did not make reservations, nor did I have an employee voucher when my husband and I stopped to get a room on a Friday night, but the manager Stacie Munday, gave me the employee rate anyway and a downstairs room! Room was very clean so I have no complaints whatsoever! Thank you Stacie!

The manager, Stacie Mundy charged my family 150 dollars for damages we did not cause. The room was disgusting when we came in. Mold on faucets and drains, crumbs on the floor, stains on the mattress protectors, toilet paper not restocked. Later the GM admitted she charged us because our 1 and 2 year olds left crumbs. I thought you had housekeeping for that? Didn't realize I had to clean the room Myself. TAKE PICTURES. SHE WILL DO THIS AGAIN.

Love the 2 queen bed suite. Very comfortable. Very clean. Impressed with staff's extra COVID-19 precautions. Would have liked to have 2 trash cans instead of 1. The remotes were covered with "freshness" guarantee covers.

Teresa was very helpful and accommodating. Great service and rooms were nice, comfortable and clean!! When our room did not save on booking.com, Teresa took Great care of us. After a long drive with the kiddos, it was nice to feel welcome and we were in a room very quickly.

Teresa was so sweet and acommidating! Best hotel breakfast ever. I haven't been to many as an adult but as a kid we traveled a bunch and this blew my childhood memories out of the water! They make it easy to find things to do and keep you nice and cozy while you're doing it.

When you pull up to to the front the hotel looks new but all of a sudden you are directed to a motel type of establishment with outdoor entrance and two floors with no elevator. It was pouring rain and the upgraded suites were on the second floor so we were not going to drag our luggage to the second floor outside in the pouring rain so we had to forfeit our upgrade. Very disappointed, There was not rug to stand on at the door so the floor got all wet. In the bathroom there were not enough towels for two people and the ones that were there were like sand paper. The breakfast was average - nothing special. If we wanted to use a pool, we had to go next door in the pouring rain - again no thank you. They tell me they are planning some renovating but for now it is not up to what I come to expect at this type of Best Western.

The mattress was in need of replacement. Very hard, lumpy bed. Though the place was 3/4 empty we were placed in a room adjacent to other guests. Walls are paper thin. We were woken by their conversations at midnight and 5am. Breakfast was better than anticipated.

The property looks great. Staff is friendly. My room was clean and looked good. Check in was quick. Stacie, the manager, is well informed and knows what she is doing. Property is located right off 44 and many restaurants around to enjoy.

We stopped here just to sleep on our way to Texas. I accidentally booked through a 3rd party thinking it was the actual BW site. Needless to say it was a crooked site. The staff at BW tried helping me with how I could fix the reservation with the third party and were extremely sympathetic and kind. The rooms are small but clean and the breakfast had a good selection of hot and cold foods. This is more of a motel than hotel style but it suited our needs and was a good experience.

Traveling from Michigan to Texas this place is a nice stop over. Clean rooms, nice staff, good breakfast. Pet friendly. A lot of other places have a $30.00 pet fee. Here it is only $10.00. AARP discounts.

Nice clean rooms. Convenient location right off the interstate but far enough that you don't get any highway noise. I like the direct access rooms. You don't have to drag luggage through a lobby. Park right outside your room.

I cant say enough good about this motel! Such a nice surprise the friendliness,service,helpfulness,they went way above & beyond in accomadating my needs.extras too.the breakfast had many choices.price was great.. nothing bad to say.

Don't be fooled by the words Oasis and the fake palm trees outside the lobby upon arrival. This property is FAR from paradise! The images on the website are not accurate to the reality of the rooms straight out of 1970. Exterior staircases (and no elevators) lead you right to exterior door rooms. Parking lots from neighboring establishments wrap the entire property making it for a noisy nights “rest”.

My grandson and i stopped at best western on our way to go deer hunting, the room was clean and comfortable, staff was extremely friendly, when we left in the morning it was snowing and the staff told us to be careful and talked a few minutes with them before getting on the road

1st let me say my room was clean and the staff was excellent. I had the pleasure of working with Joe and Christina and they were so helpful and accommodating to my needs during my stay. Thanks, Joe and Christina!!! The location was great, right off highway 44 and close to all major restaurants. The hotel is located behind the Waffle House and not directly off the main road. Figuring out where to turn in was a bit confusing, especially with it getting dark so early at this time of year. Maybe better singe would help. As for my stay, I personally don't feel comfortable, as a woman traveling alone, with the entry to all rooms being on the exterior of the hotel - I just doesn't feel safe. When I arrived to my room around 6 pm, there were several (like 5) of the other occupants with their doors open and many people standing outside the rooms and smoking, etc. Just didn't give me a good feeling. I will say, when I returned home from dinner around 8 pm, all doors were closed and it was peaceful the rest of the evening. Overall, it was a good stay and my comments are based solely on my own preferences and not the condition or service of the hotel or it's staff.

I was impressed that I as able to set the heater to the perfect temperature and got it right the first time. I didn't have to get up and down to turn it up and down through the night. I stayed at the Best Western for three nights and when I would leave for the day and come back at night it was always the perfect temperature. I love the variety that they had for breakfast. I also loved their friendly staff. I enjoyed visiting with them. They knew Joplin well and were so kind. In fact, Ralph Green was off work and was almost out the door when his co-worker came to him with a problem regarding a TV remote that wouldn't work in one of the rooms. He didn't say, "good luck with that, I'm off work." he went right down to that room and took care of it. You don't find that level of caring ever day.

The Best Western in Joplin, Missouri provides everything a traveling guest could need...a friendly staff, clean rooms, fast internet, and a breakfast which is now becoming evermore standard at BWs. Maybe it's just Joplin, but we found the staff to be especially helpful and welcoming. The location is just off I-44...so handy for those traveling through, and not too far from the town center and just south of the newly rebuilt city and its outstanding public library.

The beds need replaced. The floors have been done but they are vinyl. Easy to clean and they do but not very nice to be on. My room needed a door seal badly. So if that's typical get a room on the south side of the building. Staff is nice. It will do but just not right.

I was travelling cross country and didn't make any reservations since I didn't know where I would be stopping for the night. Two different nights throughout my trip I found Best Western's. They were conveniently located, modernly updated and priced just right.

This is on of the nfew hotels you can still get a smoking room. The room was great and did not have the horrible smoke smell. It was clean and comfortable. I had no problems during the stay and will return next trip.

No carpet in the rooms therefore rooms are cold and drafty Not enough water pressure to take a shower barely enough to wash face and hands This is the worst Best Western we have stayed at the rooms are very outdated as if in the 70s bed was comfortable was like staying at a Motel 6

All the staff went above and beyond our expectations. Offered local information on tourism/restaurants. Always asked if there was anything we needed. Assisted with Breakfast - made the waffles for us. Great breakfast selection and good coffee.

Our room didn't have an office chair. The outlets on the desk were dead.The power cable from the desk didn't work when plugged in. I found about the power problem in the morning when my computer battery was almost dead and my phone had not been charged

This is a nice, clean property. Let's face it, it is not a luxury resort but it is a nice place to stay when traveling. What made this motel stand out was the staff. Exceptional service. We arrived at a busy time but the manager and staff got is checked in quickly and resolved an issue with our reservation without hesitation.

I have been on the road 17 1/2 hours when I pulled into the hotel at around 2:30 in the morning. I was so exhausted I cannot even think straight the lady at the counter was awesome she totally took care of us and everything we needed with an awesome attitude. The next morning we got the same good attitude from the rest of the staff had a good breakfast and hit the road again. Will definitely stay there again.

I was there for a week the staff was amazing . the rooms were very clean . the location is great right off the road yet next to every thing you would need Christina at breakfast was fantastic. Heath helped us get around and gave us great recommendation .

Although when we arrived there was a huge queue at the front desk and only 1 receptionist on duty, it would be unfair to leave a terrible review because by the time she got around to us she was really pleasant and helpful. We only stayed for one night as we were travelling Route 66 so we only really experienced our room and breakfast in the morning which was very good. Overall, this hotel/motel was really nice, comfortable and clean.

This hotel is upgrading to make your stay even better. Our stay was very good. The staff really went out of their way to make guests comfortable. The included breakfast had a good variety of items, all of which were very good. Heath and Christina were amazing, They are true service professionals!

Christina is a one-of-a kind lady. A very attentive and personable lady always offering to assist. We will remember this Best Western because of Christina. My wife and I agree she is a sweetheart of a lady. Having a lady like Christina on staff and involved with the guest overshadows any minor discrepancy that may exist.

This is NOT an oasis. It's not even a hotel. It's one of the old-style motor lodges, with the windowless exterior doors you used to see on Route 66 back in the 1950's. The clerk was dismissive and blunt to the point of rudeness. No lobby, just a reception desk. Room smelled of insecticide and had a live ant in the sink. There was a restaurant dumpster right outside our room. Thankfully the wind was not blowing in our direction. We had excellent experiences in 5 of the other Best Westerns we stayed at on this long trip, butI would NEVER stay at this Best Western again

Wasn't worth the money,another property bw is buying and putting little to no $ into it and then putting there bw name on it. trash left in bathroom. stained carpet. room had been smoked in at one time or another.

Friendly Staff, Clean Rooms and close to many good Restaurants. Close to the interstate exit. Can't beat the stay for the price. You might find a cheaper room but the value for the money will not be there!

Amazing team treated me like family I felt welcome very helpful in my tough times with my son being in the NICU unit they worked with me helped me carried my bags for me just amazing team and amazing experience

Front desk extremely helpful prior to my arrival. Hotel pet friendly but call ahead to ensure they can accomidate. Conveniently off Interstate, quiet safe area and easy parking. Awards program one of best of all hotel chains.

Front desk and breakfast great but housekeeping needs to be replaced. Floors not swept or mopped tracks and dirt on them. Left used soap in tub and on sink from previous guest that really wants you to take a bath or shower didn't report problem to tired physically and mentally. Would've been a great stay if housekeeping did their part and CLEAN THE ROOM!

Room was great and the bed was comfortable. Tami and Samantha greeted my wife and I like we knew each other forever, they both a a great asset to the property. There were lots os dining choices within walking distance of the hotel. The pool was nice with plenty of chairs for relaxing. The breakfast was really good wit lots of selections.

Older style setting. Had to walk a good distance from our room to the main lobby for breakfast. It was quiet, clean and breakfast was good for continental style. Staff were always friendly and helpful. Quick to respond. Our room was a queen suite. Very small but adequate for our stay. Suite was 2 rooms that had been renovated so that one room had couch, TV table and chairs. Sink area was a large cabinet with coffee maker, frig and microwave. Bathroom had been renovated to be a large walk-in closet. Adjoining room had the bathroom setup, sink area, TV and 2 queen beds. Our family has teen girls and boy so the walk-in closet became the redeeming factor in the small rooms. It made a wonderful dressing and made getting ready times more convenient for all.

The rate for this room was a fair rate. The hotel is right off the interstated and easy to get to. It was a nice stay and clean. The only issue was the room above me was noisy, but when I contacted the hotel staff, it seemed to get better.

Room adequate. Bed was fine (I really liked it. Wife said it was ok). Room appeared clean. The a/c got as cold as you'd want but the high humidity in the room was more than a simple inconvenience. Staff was friendly and efficient. Breakfast not well attended by staff ... ok but messy area. We took the table with the least crumbs or syrup on it. If you're used to a Motel 6 you'll be right at home. If you prefer Hampton or Holiday Inns, you'll be mightily disappointed. You'll sleep ok but will be irritated otherwise.

This is not an exotic location motel with beautiful view. But, it's not meant to be. It IS a very clean motel with rooms every bit as nice as the expensive places. (Mini-fridge, microwave, work desk, comfortable beds, well maintained. It does have a nice clean outdoor swimming pool. It is in a safe location, and just off the interstate on the road with all of the national brand restaurants, etc. Not noisy. You don't hear any interstate traffic. No, it is not an Embassy Suites, but if you are just passing through town, or on a short stay and want a clean, safe, friendly place, with a decent free breakfast, then this is your motel.

Located in a cluster of motels just off Int.44. You have to pay attention to find the right place! Very friendly and helpful reception staff. Classic older motel - steps and outside room entrance. Room and bathroom were small. Did stub my toe in the room. Very clean. Good TV. Very comfortable bed. Had a very comfortable easy chair too! Used the outdoor pool - could use a cleaning - but very refreshing! Breakfast was excellent - good fresh choices.

Joplin was my hometown before I moved to the Kansas City area, so I go down there frequently to visit friends. I have stayed at other hotels but prefer the Oasis. It is clean and quiet with helpful staff.

Traveling with a pet is always a challenge but the check-in was quick and friendly. Room is comfortable but crowded. Ok for a single night and a good value for the money. Lots of food choices that are walk-able near-by. Bathroom is very clean and shower is good. Breakfast was very good and standard fare of hot and cold selections.

We stayed on our way home from Texas with our daughter and our two grandchildren. We liked the hotel which is older but nicely redone. We both had two room suites which had been single rooms put together now with a living room and a bedroom. The hotel parking is a little weird but there is more than enough. Breakfast was good and filling. Staff was friendly and helpful. The are a ton of food options locally as we settled on Cracker Barrel one of the kids favorites but there are many other choices.

On our way north to visit family and friends, my wife and I stopped again at the Best Western The Oasis in Joplin, Missouri. We returned to this hotel because it's just off 44 on Range Line Road, along which you can find plenty of restaurants and shopping. The accommodations are comfortable enough for a one-night stay, but what drew us to return was the friendly front desk service. We weren't disappointed this time either, so we'll likely stop there again on a future trip.

My granddaughter and I had a last minute stay due to the weather...was shocked that the hotel looks nothing like website. I love pets and often travel with my dog. But was very uncomfortable when a couple brought their pit bull to breakfast. They talked to staff about their stay, they live there during the week. When I approached the staff about she said she didn't know anything about it. Several people hanging out front that appeared to be homeless. Rooms have outside entrance I need not feel safe

I stayed one night. Front desk helpful The room was a good size, not large. Clean bathroom. Wifi worked. Breakfast was good. The place looked safe. Parking lot ok. For a short stay it worked very well.

Chose this BW as I have enjoyed my stays in many other BSs. Found this one to be a lower standard. Seems to be an older BW with older amenites. Continental breakfast was fairly typical but certainly not a "feast". I felt the charges were a bit too high for the quality of the place. Service was good however. I think I'd try a different place to stay next time I'm in Joplin

Arrived at 2:30 to check in for the 3pm check-in time... card swiped, license taken. No room available. Came back at 3:30, 'systems were down'.... sat in the breakfast area until 4:30, system still down, blaming Microsoft. We walked out and told them we're going to get another room down the road at the Fairfield. After traveling 5+ hours from STL, we were ready to have a room and relax. This was NOT a staff problem, this was a corporate problem. As someone who just signed up for a Best Western loyalty card, I'll never be back to one. Can't sign anyone in because your system is down? What did you do before your 'system'? Forget how to check in guests via a pen and paper? The staff was so apologetic, and I give a huge thank you to them. Best Western has lost a customer for life.

My husband booked this for me through Expedia. When I arrived during a storm I could see it is a very very old best Western that still has the outside door entrances. I was put in a room at the back of the property upstairs. There is no parking and I was going to have to lug all of my luggage upstairs because there is no elevator. It did not feel safe. Also they still have smoking rooms. It looks like the kind of motel where people live. I had my money refunded and left.

This is an older hotel, but the rooms have been renovated very well. It was fairly quiet. The room rate is very good. Breakfast is included and does not have as good a selection as some breakfasts, but it is quite adequate. Convenient location as it is close to the interstate.

I booked this hotel because it was a Best Western and they are usually good places to stay. This hotel was terrible. We were placed in a back room that was old and gross. It had patches of carpet cut out and the edges were frayed. I removed the coffee machine from next to the sink and there was black goop under it. The lamps were stained and the bases were rusty. The room smelled horrible and had a strong air freshener smell like they were trying to mask something. The bathroom had a different, but bad smell. The room felt dirty and dingy. We went to bed and then a family moved in above us and children jumped up and down off the beds for an hour above us. We asked to be moved and the front desk did move us. We were moved a few rooms down to a room that was slightly nicer, but still pretty old and dingy. At least it smelled a little better, but children ran around above us until 1 a.m. We finally packed our things and checked into the Candlewood next door. This hotel is not up to Best Western standards. There were people drinking and swearing on the decks when we got there and garbage all over the property that should have been picked up. It was rough. Perhaps there were nicer rooms closer to the office, but we certainly were not in a nice room. I looked at the reviews before I booked and did not have the experience that other people did. I wish we would have.

Great place to stay. Good clean room. Mattress was just so so. Hot shower. Amazingly good eggs for breakfast. Staff was very good about making sure the breakfast was fresh and always filled. Would stay there again.

Went to visit family due to my kids on their spring break so now school for them. Plus we were staying in a close hotel to the aquarium that we want to go. If you ever book a upper stair with kids i suggest you to get the lower unit if there is any. I dont know about any other up stair unit. but the unit/room i stay in - its not good with kids. i guess their floor is to thin or the wall/ceiling is to thin. however we about to have dinner and i have my kids go wash their hand before we have dinner. they went to use the toilet and take forever i call them to see if they done wash their hand so they did and they ran over to the table to have dinner before we shower and go to bed. a few minutes later i got a call from the front desk saying that we make to much noise.

Very nice hotel, staff is friendly and very helpful. Rooms are very clean. Would recommend getting new beds, they are hard and alittle outdated. But the rooms are nice and modern. It is a full breakfast and good but needs more of a selection..also it was late but there was construction going on late in the night some were close on the building it was very loud and hard to sleep.

Traveling from Florida to Colorado stayed at several hotels and this Best Western was by far the cleanest and most comfortable for under $100. We got in late and the gentleman at the desk was very kind and check in was super easy.

Clean, good beds, and quiet. Decent breakfast in clean area with reasonable choices. Conveniently located by the Interstate. The staff was polite. We like it because we could park right outside the room. We would return.

Traveling between Chicago and Dallas, we selected this hotel for their pet-friendly accommodation. $10 upcharge for our dog was reasonable, albeit on the total high side for cost of room. And for the money spent, we expected a better than good room, instead we got a fair (small) room. Pet owners are designated a super small dog walk area that was well worn out if you know what I mean. We liked the water pressure and parking, and there was food/coffee in the main building.

Cute town near border of MO and KS, this is a motel style. Met our needs, appreciated the non-carpeted rooms, there was a nice wood-like floor. Room was smaller than most locations, and had a tiny bathroom. Typical BW breakfast, was good. Staff was nice. Only issue was during breakfast hours, they started cleaning with strong chemicals, could have done without the fumes while eating.

It's here! We stayed here two different times while on a cross country trip! It was very affordable and very clean! The front desk staff was exceptionally pleasant. We're seniors and they thoughtfully gave us a street level room. Our room had a fridge and a microwave and plenty of hot water. There's plenty of parking which was important because we were pulling a trailer. Exercise room was great as was the WiFi. Breakfast was way above average and ready at 6 am! All this at a great price!

Nice hotel, it was clean and descent. Staff were nice and the tootsie rolls were a nice touch in the lobby. Shower had the most wonderful pressure but the sink did not. Otherwise it was a great hotel and good location.

Hotel was convenient to highway,clean,breakfast was okay, only complaint was had to go outside to get to breakfast and the weather was cold it would also be a problem in the rain.plenty of Restaurants in the area for other meals.

We stayed one night at this hotel on our way to Texas. Each room had its own door to outside and not knowing the area we did not feel comfortable leaving door open. The temperature in the room had to have been over 90 degrees. Way too hot for a couple of Iowans leaving below zero temperatures. We tried using fan to cool room and ended up turning on air conditioner when it was 30 degrees to cool room down to a comfortable level. Once the room cooled off the rest of our night went well

Given an upgraded room due to BW membership. Great bed & shower. TV unexpectedly had all the premium channels (HBO, Showtime, etc.). Good breakfast started at 6 AM even on a Sunday, important for an early start. Definitely will look for this BW in the future.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was clean, pillows just right. Breakfast offered great variety. This hotel is our go to on every trip we make going back and forth to visit family and friends. Service has remained the same over the years.

We stayed here overnight because of an early morning hospital procedure. at Freeman West. It is close to Mercy Hospital also. We had to be at the hospital at 6:30, so we were able to grab a quick breakfast before we left. They had waffles, sausage links, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, cereals, juices, fruit and coffee. The rooms have outside entry and are roomy and comfortable. Plenty of hot water for showers, microwave, mini fridge, desk, tv, iron and ironing board. The bed was a little firmer than I prefer. I would stay here again .

Yes the hotel has been renovated, but it still smells like cigarettes. If you are smoke sensitive, look elsewhere. Hotel is an old 2 story brick hotel that has been renovated with new paint, new linens. Not sure about new beds, these are springs beds, thin, and pretty hard. Rooms are small as older motels are, bathroom small, but room is ok clean. It could use a fall cleaning behind and around furniture. We stayed on the back side, it was very quiet, but would not walk alone at night to get to the room. Staff was wonderful, hotel and breakfast area looked nice. There is a great big sign for the competition in the Best Western driveway, so look for the sign on the top of the building, kind of confusing. We won't stay again as we had a non smoking room, but you can't get rid of the smoke smell from old walls unless you gut the sheetrock and change the venting. The longer the shower the stronger the smoke smell, kind of like an old smoker that has just took a shower. We like Best Westerns, but this is not the upper class of Best Westerns, lower end and upper price. Nice location, easy to find and lots of restaurants nearby. Pizza in the convenience store right next door. Watch the homeless people though.

Very clean and comfortable. Older hotel with very nice modern updates. Hot breakfast was appreciated but could use more fresh fruit, only had apples, would have likes bananas or berries for cereal and waffles.

Hotel is priced decent for what you get. Exercise room has decent epuiment which was nice. The location of hotel is good. The actual rooms are in need of updating and are small. Beds are so-so, but that's my opinion.

Late night check-in experiences usually are not the best. You're tired. The staff is tired. But I was made to feel welcome and valued by the night clerk. The room was very nice and comfortable. The next morning breakfast was good, plentiful, and set up in a clean, bright dining area at the very front. Easy to get to and get back on the road.

Easy access from highway with plenty of parking. The dogs were welcomed, too. Nice quiet room on first floor was clean and the bed was comfortable. Of course I arrived so late my only delivery option was pizza. And I like pizza! Breakfast was good. The desk staff was friendly and helpful.

I love what they have done to the lobby and how open and welcoming it is. The property has been around for a while, but they have done a great job in remodeling rooms and making it a great place to stay, especially for the quality and the rate!

I hate to say bad things about hotels as there are so many lovely ones now, and the Best Westerns rank right up there . But this one is just awful, it has not been updated since about the 60"s and I am not calling this retro by any means. it is old, smal,l and just plain dirty. the workers were all wonderful. one point I felt about summed this place as I was leaving, ... there is a really nice little place with tables and chairs and a bbq..looked like a nice place to sit after a long day driving....... as I looked a little closer it was not only messy and dirty. but the kicker was right next to the grill in the middle of the area. was a sign that said .. please put your dog poop bags here !! the place was the same place designated for dogs to potty!!! eeeeeeuuuuuu!!!if you have the chance to stay in Joplin there are many other hotels and I would suggest staying at another one this time.

We stopped here on the way through Joplin. The rooms were fairly clean and breakfast was good. However, there were a few problems. First, the beds were a bit hard. Second, the USB port for charging your phone on the nightstand didn't work. Fourth, there was a puddle of something by one of the beds. And last, there were people outside that kept us up much of the night. This hotel was fine, but I would not stay here again

The service and hospitality of all staff I encountered was top notch. We were treated like valued customers. The staff made small talk and double checked to make sure we didn't need anything. The room was a bit lacking. It was quite small and the beds were rock hard. For the size of the rooms and the extremely hard beds I feel the price should be less than what it is. Although we didn't go swimming, the pool area was clean and inviting. The pool was also smaller than expected. It would have been nice to have a small laundry area on the premises for those who stay more than a night or two.

We were in Joplin for a family event. Front desk and breakfast area where nice. Room was humid when we first got there but was comfortable after turning the air down. Bathroom was clean and the tube large. Bed was new and comfortable pillows were small. Breakfast was typical nothing fancy. A nice place for a overnight stay.

I'm 78 had to lug my own luggage up metal stairs. Fell on the concrete walkway exhausted after struggling up the stairs. Location difficult to get to because of construction in the area. Very convenient stop on our travel route. Great internet service.

The Best Western is a good hotel and good value for the money. It is an older hotel,but is very clean. A word of caution, some rooms are smoking rooms. The staff is very accommodating and works to accommodate your needs.

I stayed here with my husband and 2 kids in a 2 queen room. It was right off the highway which was a convenient stop to our final destination. We enjoyed the pool and the nearby Grand Falls. Breakfast was good. The room was nice, but the mattress was uncomfortable. My kids and husband had both no problems with the mattresses though. Overall a great value.

The rating of a 2.5 hotel is not an accurate description. A 2 is more appropriate. They have tried to take an old hotel and update it. The rooms are very small and so is the bathroom area. The pool is very small. It is a motel with outdoor steps, many of which have missing or broken areas. The hotel was clean but given what you can get in the area for the same or less money you would be better off going elsewhere.

Reservation was accomplished over the phone.Went well, had to remind them of online rate to get something near what you are seeing here. I found the hotel to be much like the Best Westerns of old, but nicely updated. Outside hall ways are a minus. Room was very small, but had a fridge and microwave. Room was clean (sanitized tv remote bag was a nice touch) , but even with every light on lighting was poor .Except for the 6a trash pickup, it was quiet, much better than some newer higher dollar hotels I have recently stayed in. This hotel was about as middle of the road as you'll find in hotels. The place felt like I was staying at a Super 8. Good things: The staff was very accommodating and nice. Room was clean and beds comfortable. Check in and departure all pleasant with no complaints. Good locations, many nice places to eat within walking distance. Bad things: we were in a room on the second floor, and every time someone ran down the hall (many kids were doing this through the evening) we could feel every step (walls shaking and everything). Bathroom was quite dated, and old, remodeling was overdue. Not sure if maybe we got an older room that was not yet updated. I give this rating an average, because for the price paid and a Best Western brand hotel I guess I expected a little more. If there was a 3.5 star rating out of 5 that's what I would've rated the hotel. Again...no issues with staff. They were fantastic.

Stayed one night on the way north to Kansas City. Location rates as great, price rates as great, staff also was great. Rooms were remodeled and ok, some noise from above us though, but an older unit. Breakfast was also decent. But for the price, it cannot be beat.

I was staying there on my way from Arizon to Michigan with my pets. I was on the 1st floor and was happy with the location the people and the accomadations here. THe 1st floor had some noise from the floor above but it settled down very fast in the early evening. Good restaurants close by, some with in walking distance.

Cheap price, ok breakfast, but horrible cleaning service trash on the floor food under the bed. My 1 year old brought me an old Apple from right under the edge of the bed I told front desk and nobody every came and vacuumed the room or cleaned it while we were there.

This hotel was subpar. It was outdated and old. The room smelled heavily of smoke. It felt and looked dirty. We left and got another room at the Marriott and ate the money we paid because they would not refund us. Will never visit a Best Western again.

The staff were all friendly and the breakfast was good. This is an old location with no updates. No indoor entrances. The floor by the sink was really dirty. I spilled water and used a wash cloth to wipe it up and it was black. It is close to restaurants.

We stay here every time we go to Joplin. Great place. Breakfast has so many choices. They are refilling the breakfast bar up until it is time to shut it down. It is conveniently near the highway yet, Rangeline Road has every store you would ever need right down the street.

The staff at this location was awesome. They all went above to make sure our stay was the best. The breakfast buffet was stocked without having to ask for anything. The check in was very easy. Since I was traveling with an elderly lady, the young lady went out of her way for our accommodations.

excellent place ,only thing that could make it better is if they had a cart to carry luggage to room. I had a lot of stuff to carry to the rear of the building and it was very tedious and tiring, thank goodness i wasnt on top floor.

Staff were great! Hotel type and rooms are dated but renovated with care.Small breakfast area with average breakfast but certainly wasn't unpleasant. Walking distance from Starbucks and a Waffle House next door. Considering a very congested location (12 hotels and many businesses within walking distance, This hotel was just fine and cost was decent as well. Would definitely stay again when traveling thru.

The only thing I really have against this place is the old style rooms that you enter from outside. I prefer rooms that you enter from an inside hallway. A plus, the beds were normal/low height. So many places have beds that are hard to get into if you have short legs. These beds were just right!

We had asked for a first floor room-non-smoking. When we were advised our room started with the number 2 and staff was asked if that meant second floor; they answered "yes" and that it was a smoking room. We asked if they anything on the first floor and they said that had one left and it was at the far end of the building. We took it and it was disappointing. Not very clean and in need of some updating. The girls behind the desk had said that someone not at the location had made the reservation. The girl behind the desk when we left was harsh and unsmiling. Not suited for customer service.

Would recommend this hotel to anyone. Great location, great staff, great service, great breakfast, clean rooms and very quite place. Have stayed several times before and will do so in the future. Nice place for the kids, if you have kids.

We went to Joplin for a college visit and stayed here the room was very clean and the front desk people were very friendly and helpful they went out of their way to make sure everything was great, The breakfast was also great and more than we expected for the price we will be staying here again. when we checked out they gave my wife a goodies bag with some fruit and snacks in it for our trip home. We will be telling everyone about this place.

The second time I have stayed here. Very clean, good parking, efficient front desk. Nice little hot breakfast and good strong coffee. They even had a small fitness room with three cardio machines and free weights! Very affordable, too. Highly recommend and I will stay here again!

We booked a room with 1 day notice, no problem. Upon check-in, we were greeted by a friendly young man. The process was quick. Our room, 122, was clean and comfortable. It appeared to have been recently updated. It was on the ground floor and had exterior doors. We parked right outside the room. Even though the hotel is right off the highway, we didn't hear any of the noise. The only negative about the room, was the one above us. We could hear every footstep of the guest. It sounded like they were pacing around for 30 minutes. Check out was fast and the front desk lady was just as friendly as the man the night before. Despite negative reviews about this hotel, we took a chance and don't regret it. Will definitely stay here again.

I my stay was excellent, and I was really surprised that I got the same room that I stayed in during my last stay a Best Western and I thought that was awesome. My room had easy excess to everything that I needed, for my stay. Close to local shopping and family. The rooms are excellent and the breakfast is excellent and easy excess to the internet and anything else that you need for your stay.

When we arrived there was a chemical smell in the room. A small dark place. We had to leave the door open. I thought it was just the cleaning solutions they used. Later that night the sink was teeming with ants...we killed them but in the morning they were all over our toiletries, toothbrushes icky. I now think the smell was some kind of insecticide that the ants were a problem. We had no food or sticky stuff in that area. When we left I did mention this at check out. I have heard nothing. This was the third BW in a row that we had stayed at. The other two were 5. I must say however you did have Chobani Greek yogurt. Which was a nice surprise.

Called for 2 rooms at last minute, Adrian very helpful. Standard motel room, bed comfortable, clean. Can park right outside room. Offered cookies, popcorn upon check in. Decent complimentary breakfast with eggs, sausage, etc. gave us nice to go bag with water, apple, granola bar when checked out. Great value for the money. Top service. Nothing short of a total refund! This place was bad. Bed uncomfortable. Put us in a room in the back of motel. Door opened to the outside. A guest, staying down the way (a couple of rooms) had his door open about a foot, all night long. The pot smoke (marijuana) was flowing out of their room freely, all night... creeping down the way, in our direction. We are not pot smokers and will never be, so one can imagine how damn bad this really was. Saw another guest, on the other side of the motel, carry his marijuana bong into his room after his luggage. Really? Is Missouri a marijuana state? WOW. We, definitely, will not be staying her again. A motel used frequently by construction workers. Their diesel trucks start up a 5:00 AM and keep running until they leave... maybe up to an hour or so. What a bad choice. My Google review will reflect the same.

How is it that I can be robbed and only be parked there for 12 hours? How is it that you don't have surveillance? How is it that your front desk help cannot send emails? I've never been more unsatiafied in my entire life.

The staff were amazing and worked really hard to make it a wonderful stay. The breakfast was fantastic. It is listed as a hotel, but was a motel. The building could use a little updating and the bed was not very comfortable.

From the moment I booked it was a great experience. My room was ready when I arrived and was clean. They checked me in quickly and had cookies and popcorn. I left my purse in the room. The desk clerk called, and we returned to get it. Honest staff!! The room was small but comfortable with plenty of outlets and plugs for devices. The shower was great with a grab bar and a no slip mat in the tub. The bed was comfortable.

This was a nice place to stay with an attentive staff that does everything they can to make your stay enjoyable. We had an issue that the lady at the front desk was willing to come to our room to personally try to fix. I told her I appreciated her willingness to help, but we could live with the issue we had.

Our group stays at many BW's on our motorcycle trips, most of which are awesome. This property was a good value but had our group spread all over the motel. Usually when we ask ahead of time to have rooms together and where we can park our motorcycles outside our rooms, they try to accommodate us. Even though this motel was far from full, our requests were not granted. However, this is a nice BW, clean and a good value.

I felt for the price was a right price for the hotel, I just felt the hotel needs just a better look to it! I was given a free night with the key to the room given to other guest, I am very Happy with the way I was treated by not having to pay for the night & given a free night for another time.

Did you know Best Western hotels still have smoking rooms? Now I do! When traveling cross country with dogs I have often stayed at Best Western hotels as they allow them. Things seem to be changing at the chain as now many do not or want only small dogs. I was forced to switch hotels when I arrived at my room to find an overwhelming smell of smoke. It was so bad I started getting a headache within a minute. Not sure why, when I called to make my reservation, the receptionist did not share that I would be getting a smoking room; that seems like one of the top things a person would care about. Best Western should also be aware that dogs have a much more acute sense of smell than people and it might be considered cruel to put a dog in that environment. After calling the front desk and learning that they would not apologize for their miscommunication or move me to another room, even though they had vacancy, I called and got a pet-friendly, non-smoking room at La Quinta. Not the experience I was hoping for after driving 12 hours, but at least I did not have to sleep in my car!

We arrived after dark, the first thing we saw as we came in to the city was the Cross at the Crossroads. Quite a magnificent sight!! The hotel was very convenient to get to, and the staff was excellent.

Enjoyed my stay here, was in town for a wedding and I couldn't of selected a better hotel. The price was the low and my experience was great. Good customer service, clean room, housekeeping was punctual. Hotel has a laundry room available to the guest.

Breakfast good, with a good variety of selections. The rooms weren't as clean for the money spent. The carpet was not clean and felt weird to walk on barefoot. The shower curtain in the bathroom smelled sour. The overall size of the room was small.

This hotel is average at best. Check in was dismal as was checkout. Room was average. It was noisy. We asked for a King downstairs and was told we had to take a queen downstairs. Not the best location. Probably will look elsewhere next time around.

I made reservations 4 weeks in advance to stay at this motel. After 8.5 hours on the road we arrived at 3:39p. When we went to check in tbey told us the room was not ready and would take housekeeping 45 minutes to get ready. Needless to say we were not happy and told receptionist of our dissatisfaction. We told them it was outrageous that we had to wait and felt the room should have been ready. They basically told us if we didn't want to wait to go somewhere else...we did.

This motel style hotel has been converted to allow suite accommodations for families. Though small was highly impressed with the accommodations. My family was very satisfied. Will definitely look at BW brands when needing a hotel.

We stayed three nights at The Oasis in Joplin while visiting my mother in Carthage. There where no reasonable options there and the drive from Carthage is only 15 minutes. Clean, well stocked room with free WiFi. Staff extremely friendly and accommodating. Breakfast buffet very good. Staff was constantly refilling dispensers and asking if we needed anything. Nice outside pool. Very good value.

Ceiling in bathroom falling down. Room was on back side and very dark and very small with no place to put luggage. Small TV in cabinet which blocked side views even when TV was rotated. The room smelled of a very strong perfume or insecticide which made me feel ill so we turned on fans and opened the door to try and air it out but smell still lingered. Man checking us in was very friendly and looked to find us a room that was not on the second floor because there is no elevator here. This is not what we expect from a Best Western. If this is the best there is in Joplin we'd drive on if ever in the area again.

We got here and I expected a standard room...totally surprised! A walk-in closet, separate bed room and sitting room. Spacious and very clean room. Anytime we are in Joplin we will definitely stay here.

Front desk guy was very friendly and helpful. Check-in was quick and painless. Room I got was smallish, but functional. There is a fridge and microwave, and both were serviceable and clean. I did find the stick-down mat in the bathtub to be quite off putting, as it looked to be torn and curled up on the corners. Those things harbor some serious funk. I checked to make sure the sheets and pillowcases were fresh--I carry a blacklight in my travel bag for just such occasions. Don't use it on the carpet, though! UGH! AC was very cold, and internet was faster than most places I've stayed in. I've taken a long-term job here in Joplin, so I'll be travelling here every week for the next 6-12 months. I may choose this place again...but I'll still be looking at other places. For the price, I did expect a bit more.

If you're looking for high end, forget it. You only need a place to sleep and shower anyway. This a clean, affordable facility with great staff help. Breakfast good, a lot of variety. If we travel this way again, we'll be staying here.

The hotel is good newly renovated, personnel very helpful and courteous, the breakfast bar was delicious; everything was fresh. The biggest problem is that the rooms are extremely small, very difficult for 2 people to maneuver.

We were on the end of our trip and heading home. Through Google we found the hotel that was pet friendly. The room and all paperwork ready even though we had just booked online less than an hour before. The room was clean and well arranged for maximum floor space. An area for pets was right next to our room. Several restaurants in the immediate area and very nice breakfast in the lobby the next morning. Good to have such pleasant experience on our last night on the road.

Checking in the girl was super nice. However, the key reader for our room stopped working and it took us two trips to the front desk and still no help. I stopped a cleaning lady who called them and then a maintenance man arrived. He had to break into our room and I ended up being 30 mins late for my appointment. The check was not great. The lady didn't ask me how the stay was or even say she was sorry for what had happened. She could have cared less that it caused a problem for us. Not happy and considering I'll be visiting the area often for the next 4 years, I'm not sure I would stay there again.

The hotel is in good location; however, its entry is confusing like most of hotels in this particular location. The staff is friendly and helpful. The check in/out process is fast and efficient. There's hot and healthy breakfast with adequate selections for a quick breakfast. The internet connection is fast.

There were ants in the bathroom and When our children went to the hot tub at the Econo Lodge next door. Because the Best western gives passes to do so after their pool closes. There were people having sex in the hot tub. Then when we checked out around 8:55 our family of 5 were trying to get breakfast and the staff kept turning off the orange juice machine and taking food away as we were trying to get food. Because breakfast stops at 9! It was rude and disrespectful. Especially when the employees just kept saying breakfast stops at 9! And removing the food from us.

I checked in advance that I could pay cash upon arrival...the answer was yes. No where on the reservation does it say they have to charge the room amount to the card. I had removed the money from my card before we left town as I commonly have troubles using it out of state and we were going to the casino on a Saturday so the bank would be closed if I had trouble. I got to the Hotel to check in and they asked how I would be paying. I said cash and offered to pay then, she said that was fine, but I can't check you in because your card is declining. I explained that the money was removed from the account but I was planning to pay cash. However the hotel must first charge your card for the amount of the room, and then you can pay cash. I referenced that I had called and asked why they wouldn't have mentioned this very inconvenient policy then, and she said it not a common problem so they wouldn't have thought to say anything. I referenced that the reservation said they only needed the card to verify...not to charge...and she could only say it was the hotel policy. So I said I guess I can just go to Walmart and put the money on a prepaid card, but that option was declined by her as well. Needless to say I did not get my room. The staff is rude. And I'm driving home from the casino at 3 am rather than getting some rest. The only coselation is I now had 90 extra dollars to spend at the casino.

Motel was in a good location off of the Interstate. Room was clean and the bed linens were of a good quality. Bath towels were above avg for most motels. Breakfast had a good selection of items to include eggs, pastries, meat item. Typical cereal choices.

Fro the price that I paid, I expected more. When we got there, my wife took a shower and the tub was clogged. However, I did call and maintenance came out right away and fixed the problem. The second day we were there, housekeeping did not come by our room at all. I called the front desk and they reassured me that they would be coming. However, they never showed up. The next day, they came and just dropped off towels. Not what I would expect when I pay the prices that I paid. They did not come in and clean, as I would have expected. We complained about it and it was taken care of later that day. However, I should not have had to say anything to begin with. I had actually had another reservation this week that was $30 less per day, but changed to this Best Western because that is where my son's baseball team was playing. I was disappointed in the product. I was happy that matters were resolved, but frustrated that we had to complain.

Small rooms but just fine for a single business traveler. Very helpful and friendly staff. Decent breakfast and outdoor pool with plastic palm trees to cool off on hot summer afternoon. I am out of things to say beyond this and resent your demand for 200 charachters.

Spent a lot of time on line and by phone to get a hotel with a recliner in room. Difficult to find but best western oasis had one. It was reasonable priced, friendly staff and excellent breakfast buffet. Very much appreciated their help and friendly faces after a long u haul trip from Utah to Missouri.

Staff are wonderful, had a good laugh with the gentlemen at the front desk, very friendly and the place was clean and ready to go. I slept like a baby while I was there. 10/10 would stop again here if I was traveling through this area again.

The front desk attendant was great at check in. The front has been remodeled and updated. Now for the room: The bed was uncomfortable and like other reviews we noticed a musty smell in the room and the carpet felt damp, when walking on it. The room was quite small for all the furniture it had in it. When I went to check out the front desk attendant was on the phone the entire process of checking out. We would not stay here again.

The floor felt sticky, the bed looked as if someone had slept in it, pool area looked dirty, was locked out of room after going to pool area, breakfast area too small. Way overpriced for quality of rooms. Staff was friendly and helpful.

This motel is in need of major renovations. Rooms are so small that only 1 person can be up walking around. The motel manager is extremely rude and unwilling to help when there is a problem. I wouldn't recommend staying at this motel at all. The picture of the front desk looks nice but everything else needs to be completely redone and updated. Stay at the Hampton or Drury Inn that are across the street.

This was one of the most reasonably priced hotels we stayed at and it was so nice to just drive straight up to the room and have a very good night's sleep. We had a pleasant breakfast and everybody there seem to be having a good time and it was a great way to start a very long road trip that was ahead of us.

We were there for a funeral and actually booked 2 rooms at a different hotel. We got in a day early and booked that night at BW. We liked the suite so much the front desk was able to accommodate the additional 3 days we needed so we could cancel the 2 rooms for just the one.

I'll start with the good: the staff was friendly and accommodating. The lobby and front exterior have been renovated. The pool was clean and refreshing and the breakfast had a variety, and quality was good. The bad: the room was weirdly damp. We had to wear shoes at all times to avoid our feet being completely black on the bottom. The beds rocked like a boat when you laid down and then you sank to the middle. We had a 'suite', so we were fine on space, but the regular rooms were very small. The fitness center was out of towels, and also had no cleaner for guests to wipe down the equipment when they were done. Next time we are in town, we would pay a little more to stay elsewhere.

This hotel is okay but would probably not stay here again. Room was not as clean as we would have liked and it was small. Parking lot and spaces were very tight. Breakfast area was very small and crowded. We just grabbed a coffee and hit the road. The staff were very friendly, check in and check was a breeze. Joplin was very busy with youth tournaments and every hotel was packed and very busy. In the future I would bypass Joplin and stay somewhere else.

Overpriced for the condition of the property. No Elevator to second floor and no help with carrying bags up. Skimpy breakfast with inferior quality. It seemed that there was only one ice machine. Small pool. Older property that has had small improvements. Management fairly unresponsive to solving complaints. We won't stay here again

Everything in the room was very clean. We had a double queen. One bed was comfortable, the other not so much. Pillows were comfy, and I usually don't like hotel pillows. Breakfast was awesome. Had scrambled eggs and sausage, biscuits & gravy, waffles, cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt, donuts, pastries, and bagels, toast, juice, coffee, tea and milk. The breakfast lady Leah was excellent. She kept everything well stocked and clean. She was very helpful with anything you wanted. And she was very nice. The check-in lady Kenyatta was also very nice and very professional. There were storm warnings out and she gave us instructions on what to do in case of a tornado or other bad weather. That was the first time I've had that done. She was also very informative on the restaurants in the area. We didn't use the pool, but it was nice and clean. It was rather small though. We would stay here again if in the area.

It takes a lot for me to complain but this BW was awful. I had to go to the office twice, I have never had to do that. The first time was to tell them the carpet was wet, not damp but wet in the whole room. I was told it was probably from the humidity. Then I had to go back to the office to tell them there were tiny red bugs flying around, I was told it was because of the rain. I asked for another room but was told they were sold out. Definitely wouldn't stay there again.

I booked one night as a stopover while passing through the area. Based on the pictures online I thought I was booking a decent midrange hotel. Pictures are deceiving. As soon as I saw the "motel" concept of the rooms I was not happy. I do not enjoy having my door open to the outside. I booked a hotel, not a motel. I did reserved judgement until I saw my room and when I did I was not happy. My room was on the back side of the hotel in an area that is not well lit. I certainly did not feel safe walking to/from my room to my car. The room was musty smelling and cramped. The carpet felt dirty under my feet. There were hairs on the floor of the bathroom. The bed felt damp to the touch. Throughout the night I could hear either someone running around on the upper floor or slamming doors. I could also plainly hear the music coming from what looked like a residence nearby. If I had not been so exhausted from my long drive, I would have left immediately and found something else. This experience has turned me off to other BW properties as I do not want to be burned again. I will note, the lobby appears to be updated but that is the only nice thing I can say about this hotel (motel).

Clean, quiet and comfortable. The location is great, right off the freeway and close to several places to eat. The breakfast is great and the lobby a nice place to sit and read the paper. I'll stay there again the next time I'm in town.

Nice accommodations. Nothing overly exciting, but clean and spacious room. Floors seemed a little greasy, but good other than that. Breakfast was good & people were helpful. Our family had an enjoyable stay.

We stopped for a night on the way to my daughter's college orientation. Very friendly staff, clean room with all amenities, and the best breakfast I have had in a motel! Pool was very clean. A great experience!

We booked this on Priceline & it was a great choice! Everyone was extremely friendly, the room was clean, the beds were comfortable and breakfast was great (especially considering it was free). This is a great option for families as well.

Was driving from California to Michigan and had to stop in Joplin. Good experience with BW. Beds were comfortable, everything worked and staff was friendly. I would recommend this place if you're stopping in Joplin.

Stayed here one night with my granddaughter while traveling. The reception area is very nice looks newly updated check in was easy and fast. Our room had two beds and was still fairly spacious, there was a refrigerator and microwave, the bathroom was very nice with the large counter by the sink and the shower was very good. There were plenty of towels for two people. Our room was upstairs and on the back side of the parking lot and it was very quiet. The free breakfast was the usual free muffins and scrambled eggs and sausages and everything was very tasty. Would recommend this hotel and would stay here again if in the area.

Everything about this hotel is what you would expect in a travel hotel. Excellent service, nice room, pool, places to relax outside around the property. The breakfast was good with free newspaper available.

Tiny room, tiny bath, room felt dark and damp. Nice modern lobby, but certainly gives the wrong impression of the rooms. Very disappointed, won't stay there again. Desk clerk said he thought the rooms were going to be remodeled in the future but unless they are starting with a bull dozer I don't see it possible to improve. I'm not sure why Best western would allow such a franchise.

Lobby is very nice and new but rooms were the opposite. Once I walked in my room it was old and dingy and in major need of updating. We are also Platinum rewards members through Best Western and I was not treated as such. Very unhappy with my stay and my husband lives in hotels for work while he travels so its a shame they don't treat there rewards members better.

We always stay at this Best Western on our way east. It's very clean and comfortable. The staff is always cheerful and ready to help if we need anything. Park right in front of your room too. Breakfast is complete and tasty. Room has frig so we can empty out cooler, very comfortable beds and pillows are great.

The reception area and service was excellent. My room was not "fancy" but was clean and had what I needed. There is a pool, gym, nice breakfast, free wifi, free computer stations, very helpful concierge... Not a particularly fancy place but excellent in the nice touches that make it a five star stay. Microwave and fridge in room, free cookies and popcorn at checkin...

We will definitely stay at this hotel again. I was so tired when I got there that night that I couldn't even hardly talk and make sense but Brad was so patient and helpful. There was some reviews online that the rooms are a little small and ours was but we didn't stay in the room much and the beds were heavenly! We never ate the breakfast but it looked really good. Hotel sign is a little low to see but the Best Western is directly behind the Waffle House.

I believe we have stayed at this motel two times prior to this time. It was in past years prior to the tornado which devastated Joplin. Prior visits have been extremely dissatisfactory due to the lack of cleanliness and size of the room. This stay was much better conditions, the room was still small but laid out so that it didn't seem so cramped. AND it was clean. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The reservations were made by phone due to an internet problem on our part. The person suggested we use our points for a free room, which we did, and the person checking us out made sure we were signed up for the special rewards program.

The staff at this hotel from front desk, breakfast service and housekeeping were universally upbeat, positive and helpful. Rooms are clean, well equipped and on the small side. Tucked behind a Waffle House and between Days Inn, Candlewood Suites and Econo Lodge it could be easy to miss. The bathroom was clean if small and bed mattress was not cushy. Occasional squeaks from floor above but fairly quiet. A good hot breakfast with variety including multiple juices and 3 strengths of coffee. The woman who manages breakfast was very cheerful for someone who rise at 4:00am each and every morning. The people earn the rating of this establishment.

Exactly what I needed for a rest on a long road trip. I was not looking for a luxury stay, just a place to rest - and this was just fine. Pleasant, relatively quiet, inexpensive, good value. I would stay there again.

Best Hotel I stayed in during my entire trip. The room was clean. The bed was not firm or soft it was perfect. The room was actually beautiful for the price. I wish I would of know that is what Best Western offered before I would of been staying there instead of other hotels and getting sloppy beds and not toilet seats

Although the room was on the small side, the bed and pillows were comfortable, the bathroom and rest of the room was spotless. My husband enjoyed his breakfast, and the attendant in the breakfast room got me some gluten free cereal. all in all a very pleasant stay.

Lobby was nice and dining area was good. The receptionist was very helpful and friendly.. Neither of the key cards worked, had to carry my luggage with me, go up to front desk and get them keyed again. The buildings were older, The only entrance to the room was outside entrances. Multiple buildings, my room was on the backside with no parking spaces on that side. The room was very small and tight, also the bathroom was small. The bed was nice and the room was clean.

Got a room with a view of a wooden fence, it should have been cleaned much better, and the bed was hard as a rock. Probably the worst experience I have ever had at any Best Western motel. It wasn't horrible, but I just expect better from BW

Yes, this is a motel with outside entrances. I saw many families and women staying here and felt very safe and secure. Rooms are very small. No room for my morning yoga. Beds are old and worn but ok. Room was very clean with fridge and microwave. Might stay again. Still looking for the best budget minded place in Joplin.

Hotel is just off I-44 in Joplin and very easy to find. Many places to eat close by, not far from shopping centers. They have upgraded the look of hotel since my last stay and rooms are still very well maintained. At check in Brad was very helpful and his awesome attitude showed how much he cared about your business. I was offered an up grade but being very tired just took my original room. Bed is not like the one at home but still got a good nights rest.

Made reservations, when we got there @ check in time we had a problem, room not yet ready. Had been booked the night before, so they were a little behind. But the front staff very nice & pleasant. We left our number & a short time later they called us. We had a pet room in which was nice, met our needs. Was pleasantly well kept. Not much of an area for pets but not a big deal. The 2 gentlemen at desk were the best!!! We spent a bit of time talking with them, so nice. You don't get that very often. I'd recommend anyone to stay here. You can't miss it!!! It's right off the highway, was a great stay!!! Breakfast area very well maintained, very small area. And the grab & go bag was appreciated. Thank you best western!!! Weren't sure we were going to be able to find a room because of sporting event traffic, but they had a single left. You could tell the room was a little older, it was compact, but very clean, well-appointed (fridge, microwave, flat-screen, nice vanity) and well-cared for. Staff were friendly and accommodating which was greatly appreciated after almost 12 hours on the road. Good water pressure and plenty of hot water in the shower. Excellent bed. Breakfast was pretty good for a free hotel breakfast - included at least two protein options. Even though most rooms in town were full, we still got a really good rate here. Wish the black-out curtains were a little more effective - lots of light in the parking lot.

This is a pretty decent best western for the price. We stayed one night and were very satisfied. The front desk clerk Clayton was very funny and great at his job. This guy could be the face of best western and have a successful career. The room itself was small and straightforward, but very comfortable and clean. There's nothing fancy here but it met all of our requirements and expectations. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this location to friends and family. If you need a simple, cozy, straightforward hotel room for the night this place will do you well.

We needed a place to stay while passing through on vacation. Booked this hotel mainly on price, because we just needed a place for the night. Very surprised. We were not expecting much, but the room was clean, cozy, and updated. Access room from parking lot. Staff was super. Able to walk to nearby restaurants. Cannot go wrong for the price.

We had a bit of a mixup with changing our reservation, however the manager Laurie was very understanding and took care of everything. Room was a bit small but met our needs. Breakfast selection was very good with both hot and cold items. We would for sure stay again if we find ourselves in Joplin.

The Oasis Best Western in Joplin, Missouri is a very nice, modern facility, with easy access to I-44, and downtown Joplin. It is well managed and the employees are a pleasure to deal with. We spent 2 nights there and had no complaints, in fact the front desk went out of their way to help us out on locating some restaurants and travel plans.

All the rooms open to the outside but the parking is very well lit so it seems safe enough. The room was not large but was adequate. It was clean which is my Number 1 concern. The front desk staff was courteous.

Reserved 2 rooms-@checkin were told we canceled them and hotel booked. Staff zero help, calling mgr-waste of time. We had to find a hotel at 10 pm with our three grandchildren. We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn and was well worth the extra cost based on other reviews we read. Rennovations can't makeup for bad service, and dirty rooms although we obviously can't verify that part.

I'm on the road a lot, when I get to a room I'm ready to relax. Ive always been able to do that at BEST WESTERN. and always get up to a good breakfast.thank you BW.the people are always very helpful,they treat you like family,not just at Joplin ,but at every BW I stay at.the gentleman saw what I was driving( a box truck),told me where I could park, and put me in a room close to my truck so I wouldn't have to carry my bags far. my stay was RELAXING

Stayed two nights, area was very quite staff was polite. The laundry facilities were free and worked well. The exercise area has 3 different machines and dump bells with a TV and towels. I was disappointed to see the room doors access from the outside.

We tried to come early on our trip and check in but was rudely said no early check in. We the came back at 9 pm and ask to check in again and the deck people stared at each other saying that the reservations canceled over the phone yet we do all our booking o line and would of never called and we never got a confirmation of canceled anyway. The lady deck person got snippy with us and and my father made her call the manger and they did nothing to accommodate us and demanded us to leave and call on Monday the manager. This was on a Saturday night Do not go to this hotel.

The desk clerk and cleaning staff were very friendly, helpful, and polite. The Pet rooms leave a lot to be desired. There is a small grassy area between the two buildings but the area along the pet rooms is a thin strip of rocks. Very little area to walk a dog. The manager was rude, unfriendly, and seemed to intimidate the staff. If you don't have a pet, I would say the rooms were clean, the bed was comfortable, plenty of pillows, well stocked, nice décor. My only complaint is the franchise owner and the accommodations for those bringing dogs with them.

Nice motel IF YOU'RE NOT HANDICAPPED. "Accessible room" only had one grab bar in tub - nothing else to accommodate a challenged guest. It was clean, staff was nice, breakfast was adequate. If you're perfectly healthy, good place to stay.

I always get a kick out of reading reviews before I stay at a hotel, and then comparing them to my own experience when I'm there. I had noticed on a couple of recent reviews that guests had mentioned that this property was hard to find. Unless you are arriving in the middle of the night during a power outage, there is no way to miss it - it has palm trees for goodness sake. How many hotels in Joplin Missouri have palm trees out front? My first stop was the lobby to check in, and it's been renovated very nicely. It's open and welcoming. On one side there is a large area for breakfast in the morning. I had a first floor room, so the door opened to the outside. The room had all new furniture, a flat screen TV, new carpet, and new wood / laminate floor in front of the vanity, which was also new. It's not Trump Tower, but they did a nice job on the renovation and didn't seem like they cut any corners. The room was quiet, very clean, and the bed was comfortable. Upon checkout, the front desk personnel were friendly and helpful. Another positive is the location. Right off of I44, and walking distance to several restaurants. There's even a Waffle House in the parking lot. Overall a good value, and I would stay here again.

Stay here for 3 days, great clean hotel, rates were good and close to everything. Nice pool and breakfast. Staff was helpful and they allowed our dogs.King room was just right size, rooms were on small size but sufficient.

This hotel was at its best in a different era...two stories, exterior doors and exterior stairs. It's obviously old, but they have tried really, really hard to update it. There are new bathroom fixtures, new beds, they've created a little breakfast nook, etc. Its not very expensive, and the receptionist told me she would match any price I'd found online. The personnel were all extremely pleasant. I was going to be more generous with my rating, until we found the roach just prior to checking out...

This place is hard to find. Has a huge sign belonging to a nearby hotel at the front entrance of the drive way. This facility is older. The ice machine was broken while we were there. Housekeeping staff was kind to answer any questions we had.

We had stopped here on a road trip to Texas. It was difficult to find. This is an older facility. The ice maker in our building was out of order. Must say the one nice thing was that the room was cool upon arrival. Housekeeping staff was very kind in answering any questions we had.

The staff, service, beds, etc were all great. The carpet, however was dirty and looked like it needed to be replaced. The room had a very bad smell that didn't go away with use of the AC. The front desk said it was from the humidity (same thing I was told about odor in a Best Western in South Dakota last month), but we've never had that problem with other chain hotels. A nice touch they - they gave us "Grab and Go" bags when we checked out. Each bag had a bottle of water, an apple, and a granola bar. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would probably stay there again, but I would check the room first.

Room nice and clean. Bed comfortable. Room quiet. Breakfast adequate. Front desk staff nice and helpful. The only complaint we had was that the pool is unheated and therefore too cold to enjoy. Pool is unheated and in shadow of building during day so there is no chance to warm up. Would heat pool is the only suggestion I have. Otherwise a nice place. We spent 2 nights here.

Very nice and clean. Updated facilities. Good breakfast with decent variety. Parking adequate. The staff is efficient and polite. Location is conveniently near Interstate 44 and Range Lime. Lots of restaurants nearby. Was excellent value but prices rising recently.

We reserved 5 rooms for family members traveling to a funeral. Staff helped tremendously with making requests for one member's special accommodations when she called the day before. Good breakfast, rooms were adequate, microwave and fridge in rooms.

I feel sorry for the people who gave this motel decent reviews. I have stayed in a wide variety of motels and hotels and this place is one of the worst. Our room had a door that had previously been kicked in but never replaced so it would not shut properly. My husband had to throw all of his weight against the door to get it to shut. And guess what - this meant the door was hard to open. I am not a fire marshall but my guess would be that this is a FIRE HAZARD. The wifi stinks and you get thrown off constantly. The beds are small with stains on the sheets. The carpet is filthy. If you plan on staying here, purchase a cheap pair of flip flops to wear around the room or your feet will be covered in dirt and hair. The bathroom smelled like a gas station. And the worse thing of all - the thermostat cannot be controlled by the tenant. Listen people- it is Missouri in the middle of the summer. We need the air conditioner to run more than 20 minutes on and 40 minutes off. The best thing I can say about this place is the refrigerator. When you get really hot in the middle of the night, you can open it and try and get a cool breeze. We had friends who stayed across the street at the Candelewood Inn. Opt for the Candlewood and thank me later.

We stayed in the double bed suite in the back of the complex. The room had a separate living area with huge closet and microwave and refrigerator. The room was clean, furniture old, dim lighting, linens thin and worn. The bed was not very comfortable it moves and shakes when you turn over. The breakfast was good.

This hotel is right off I-44 and is close to various restaurants. It appears that the hotel has been recently built or updated as all the decor looked current and was in good shape. The staff was very friendly and breakast was good. The breakfast area was somewhat small, but it was not crowded when I was there. The Best Western sign is not as tall as the other hotel signs, so it is a little hard to find at first. I would stay at this hotel again if staying in Joplin.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel at the Best Western Oasis in Joplin, MO. The overall size of the room was a little small, but it was quite, easy access, and clean. The staff was very helpful and we had great housekeeping service. The hotel was easily accessible from the main road way. Lots of great restaurants nearby for your eating pleasure. I would stay at the hotel again.

No problems with this Hotel except the bathroom is very small and there is no counter space for shaving or makeup bags etc. The room was clean and comfortable. TV local channels. Ground floor and quick highway access a plus. Staff was accommodating and friendly. Breakfast standard for Best Western.

We stayed here as part of a traveling athletic group so we received a group rate which was nice. The rooms are those of a older hotel which are ok just of a different design. The sink is outside so if you get up to brush your teeth everyone else in the room is disturbed. The beds were small as my wife and I shared a bed and our son had his own. The rooms were clean and it was quiet even though this particular time the hotel was probably sold out. So by far not a top end place but definitely a great value.

Neosho is a decent sized town; it really should have a decent hotel. I have a client in the area and have to visit on occasion. Each time, there's something seriously wrong with the room. The first time, the A/C didn't work. My second visit - well let's just say there was a certain color stain on the bedspread that I wouldn't touch. So, they gave me another room. It was clean at least, except for the dead roach on the wall. The breakfast is typical carbs and chemical eggs. Freeze dried coffee too. I learned there is a really nice hotel about 30 miles away at a casino called Downstream. I wish I had known about that my first visit - I would much rather drive that distance every day back and forth to the client than return here.

We always stay at this hotel when we are in Joplin for the night. The staff is always great and the rooms are always clean and quiet. The price of the rooms is also great. Overall I have nothing but great things to say about this hotel and will stay here again.

Lovely lobby and nice breakfast....however, the room was extremely shabby and my socks stuck to the floor. I was afraid to take my shoes off! Room was shabby and the door did not even close well - could see thru the crack!

Stayed here at the last minute after walking out of the hotel opposite. It was clean and comfortable, and the staff were super helpful. The pool and room were clean and well maintained. Basic but comfortable. The breakfast was good with a wide variety of food. Right off the Interstate so handy for travelling through . All in all a good stay.

clean and comfortable hotel. The decor is on the old and kinda worn out side but the bed was comfy and the AC was good. The plumbing was my only real issue. As with older properties the sinks are very slow to drain. All in all a fine place to stay for the price especially when on business and all you need is a safe, quiet, comfortable place to sleep.

We planned to stop in joplin for a nights sleep. We chose the Best Western because i am a member. The beds were very uncomfortable for my husband and i. Sleeping was an option. Our 21 year old son woke up with right shoulder pain. Something bit him on his left inner wrist. No recommendations from us

We have stayed at several BW over the past 6 weeks on our Route 66 trip. This one was not up to BW's usual standards. The rooms are incredibly small, and not as well kept as we have come to expect. Kudos however to Nate and Brad who when above and beyond to swap out our non functioning refrigerator for a working one late in the evening.

I was very displeased with being asked for my Debit Card by the clerks at this Hotel and I told them so, and they said, it is our policy and demanded it to stay there. I will never stay at this particular Hotel again.

I booked thru an online site and paid in advance. Unfortunately, the reservation was for the night prior to the night I actually wanted to stay there. I'm not sure if it was my mistake or not. I described the situation to the manager at the front desk and she said she would look into it. She booked me a room for that night. I did not hear back from her at all. On check out day I called the on line reservation number and described the situation to them. They said they had to talk to the hotel manger and they had to authorize them to refund for the night I did not stay there and she refused saying they were at 80% occupancy and it was not their policy to refund. That may be their policy, but to me its like stealing. I understand if they were sold out, but 80% occupancy, really. Any way, lesson learned. I will never stay at a Best Western again, and I will not prepay to an online reservation company again. Had I known she was not going to refund for the night I didn't stay there, I would have moved to another hotel that's more understanding of the business traveler.

one of the best hotels me and my family have ever stayed. i travel for work and see a lot of different hotels. and this was by far the best out of my 15 years of travels. the staff are amazing. great clean rooms. great wifi. great breakfast

Our family stayed for a baseball tournament.State championships. Several from our team stayed as well. Such nice and very helpful staff. From from desk to housekeeping all so sweet and helpful! Rooms very clean. Breakfast was very good. Very good coffee as well which was a nice surprise. Fresh fruit toppings for waffles. LOVE the late check out and pool is open 24 hours.. Just an all over nice stay for the money. Was very well pleased and if ever in Joplin I will stay again and will recommend to others. Cant say enough good about all the staff we encountered.

My experience was very uncomfortable. The floor was damp throughout. I felt like I had to keep shoes on my feet. We had two flies in the room which we killed, but there were two more by morning. Found two spiders, one crawling on the bed! Manager was not helpful. She said we didn't give her a chance to rectify the problem. That is hard to do at 3 a.m.! Would not return! Worst hotel experience in years!

Had a very good experience with this hotel. Is slightly dates on the rooms but made up for it on the price.. I thought this was a Best western PLUS but it is a standard Best Western. Will be back again on my next trip.

They obviously spent a lot of time and energy renovating the lobby, but the room was only slightly better than the average Motel. Then there's my pet peeve of having HD TVs in the room with standard cable. Yuck. That being said, it was pretty clean, quiet, and comfortable. Having a dog, first floor outside entry is very convenient. They also had a decent pet relief area with picnic tables. Free cookies, good breakfast choices, and abundant coffee also pluses.

Much nicer than expected. An older motel but clean and everyone was nice and everything worked. I felt like it was a good value especially for the price. Close to restaurants and everything you would need

we were on a trip from Santa Fe to the Midwest. Room value for family of 4 was excellent. Room was clean, staff efficient and breakfast was delicious. We liked coffee choices, including extra strong. Creamer, not powder, is always appreciated for coffee.

Hi Folks, My wife and I have been loyal Platinum Card Best Western customers for years. We get a clean, comfortable, quiet room (I sound like Tom Baudette) and a buffet breakfast in most of the chain. It also has business services when you need them. We came for my nieces graduation and needed extra chairs for extended visitation and the staff were more than happy to assist . A virtual assistant via text is offered upon check in which allows for ease of requests for additional items such as towels, pillows, etc... Will stay again in the future??

Hi Folks. Like most Best Westerns, they have a quality standard not found in other "chain motels" in their price range. This is why we are Platinum Card members. Besides getting a comfortable, clean room for a reasonable price (I sound like Tom Baudette), they have good service and lots of extras like a full breakfast. Regards to all, OldeBear

I recommend this hotel for those staying in Joplin. I had a great room and excellent service. My bed was comfortable and the room was clean and inviting. I ate a very nice breakfast that was fresh and hot with a wonderful variety of food. Check-in and check-out quick and very professional and friendly. The staff was some of the best in meeting my needs and expectations.

I will continue to stay at this hotel with my Mom. The ground floor access is helpful. I travel with my cat and enjoy the pet friendly hotel. It is in a good location, has a good price, nice rooms, and great staff. I had problems with Orbitz and Nate at the front desk was helpful. I will call direct from now on and they match prices.

This is a great property with excellent facilities and an incredible staff! The breakfast is amazing and definitely has something for everyone! I would recommend to everyone! Very pleasant stay. Room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was adequate. Staff friendly & helpful. Would like motel chains to have a night light in the bathroom & a magnifying mirror as well. The staff accommodated our requests.

Near the highway, many restaurants nearby, safe neighborhood, clean rooms and comfortable. Great free breakfast. From Toledo heading out west Joplin is a good place to stop and rest, and this Best Western was a great place to do it. Also easy access to get back on the road.

These rooms seemed undersized with large wardrobes to accommodate the old large TVs. The furniture needs to be down sized to accommodate the room I had difficulty finding the facility due to the poor, temporary signage. I believe the price was high for the current state of renovation. The staff was great!

Although the hotel was a motel style and the rooms were small and somewhat tired looking, the reception area and check in desk had modern upgrades. We are loyalty members with Best Western and staff were the friendliest and most accommodating we have ever experienced during the past two years in over two dozen Best Western Hotels we have stayed in. Freshly baked delicious cookies were available upon check in, the breakfast was great, and the staff insisted on giving us a snack bag for the road!! Price was VERY reasonable - cheapest we have paid - and the hotel is close to great restaurants for dinner within walking distance. We had a great meal at the Outback Steak House. We would definitely stay here again during out cross country travels!!

We picked the Best Western for the rewards system to earn point for a reward but probably should have stayed somewhere else. The noise level was bad because they were doing leaf blowing and other noise (construction noise?) directly behind the fence outside of our door. That also means our view from the room was a fence and guest left and right were standing outside smoking most of the time so we did not even want to leave the door open. There was an outside sitting area on some grass but since it was also the pet-pooping area there was a strong smell of urine and whatnot every time you walked past not even talking about wanting to sit there. The room itself was very small and you would not want to be a very large person if you actually want to be able to walk between the cabinet and wall to the sink/bathroom because you might not be able to get through. Sleep quality was poor because the bed was not very comfortable at all. The microwave/refrigerator/coffeemaker station was squeezed in next to the sink in the bathroom area and it was just hard to move around the room comfortably. The breakfast area in the lobby area was nice and modern unlike the room. There was a nice selection of fruit, cereal, baked goods and yogurt available. We wanted to do laundry but when we could not find the laundry room where it was supposed to be by the map/instructions in the room, my husband was handed a card at the front desk so we could walk across the parking lots to the neighboring hotel and do our laundry there. Since this was pretty inconvenient and we did not want to leave our laundry at a different hotel while it's washing we decided not to do laundry at all. Would not stay again.

Called to make a reservation, we needed a first floor room as my husband has a broken leg and we have a pet. Nate was very accommodating, arranging a room for us. He advised us that it had not been renovated. When we arrived the staff advised us of the same, the room was just fine, neat and clean. We enjoyed our stay and didn't care that we didn't have a granite countertop in the Bath Area, we had everything we needed. We noted this hotel on our travel map. We will be back.

We really felt the room was too small for a king size bed, parking and then having to walk so far to the room wasn't good at all. Plus the breakfast wasn't as good as it could have been. Employees didn't seem all that friendly~

This is the second time I have stayed here and, by far, the best staff of all the Best Westerns. Although it is an older hotel and the rooms are smaller, they are clean and have all the amenities. Breakfast is great but again, I cannot over emphasize the wonderful staff. Genuine, kind people... make you feel as part of a family.

Noise level on the other rooms to and A/C-heat units is very bad. Very small room and the bed was not very comfortable. Very small area to walk between the bed-walk and the bathroom so of you are a larger person you might want to try a different hotel.

I travel a lot, both for work and for pleasure. So I have a lot of experience with hotels in cities as best as NYC and Los Angeles to little towns in the south and mid-west that no one has ever heard of. So I maybe mistakenly assumed, based on my experiences with other major hotel chains, that there is a minimum standard for a big name hotel brand to maintain regardless of the location. I learned this trip that this is not the case. I had booked a stay with the Best Western thinking I could find something affordable but still of a decent quality for my few days in Joplin and to be honest, if I hadn't pre-paid for the room, I would have found another place to stay even before I checked in. My first issue with the hotel came when I needed to change my reservation - I had booked the room for 4 nights at one price and I ended up needing to shorten my stay by 2 days and the price went up by $15 a night when I did this! There was NOTHING in the policy in my confirmation email about a minimum night stay. The second issue came when I called the hotel the night prior to check in to explain I would be arriving in Joplin prior to their check in time of 3pm and I wanted to see if I could check in early. The person I spoke to on the phone told me that I could call the next day to see if anything would be available and that the hotel was not full that night so there shouldn't be a problem - especially after noon. I called again the next morning and the girl on the phone told me they didn't have any rooms available yet. I asked about what the employee I spoke to the night before said and I guess he was still there because I heard her asking him if he told me what I had claimed. She got back on the phone and told me I could call back at 12:30 and that, "If there's a room available I'll let you check in since someone gave you that information but I should be charging you an extra day's stay to check in early." Rude much? I called back at 1pm and spoke to a girl named Maria who was very nice and happy to allow me to come check into the hotel with no problems - she even warned me that she didn't have any ground floor rooms available which at the time didn't seem like a big deal. I arrived at the hotel which had no sign to identify it so we drove right past it twice before finally getting to the front desk and Maria was as friendly in person as on the phone and got checked in. I went up to my room (which I didn't realize prior to arriving was more of a "motel" style - only available from the exterior of the building, there is no interior to this hotel) and realized that this wasn't exactly what I had pictured when I booked a Best Western. The room had an ant problem, there were holes in our sheets and blankets (they appeared to be from cigarettes maybe?), the bathtub had rings around the edges from either soap or shampoo bottles or something. The noise level for this hotel was out of control - there must have been a group of people staying there in rooms that weren't together because all day and night people were running past my room. The housekeeping cart shook the door and windows when they went past. When we went up to our room after dinner one night, there was a group of people smoking... something... at the bottom of the staircase we needed to take up to our room so I no longer felt safe leaving the room without my boyfriend. The last straw was on the last day of my stay, I was waiting for my boyfriend to come back and get me to check out (which was at noon) and literally at 12:01 I had housekeeping banging down my door asking if I was leaving. I stayed here because I was trying to save a few dollars. Please, take it from me. Pay the extra $10 a night to stay at another hotel in the area. I am pretty much done with BW after this because what good is a recognizable brand name is in one area you could have an amazing stay (I have a previous review for the Best Western Eden Resort Inn in Lancaster which basically sang the praises of every thing about it) and then in another location have a room with bugs and cigarette burned sheets???

BW when above and beyond to accommodate us at a late hour and gave us a very good rate. Breakfast was really good. Overall this was a great experience and we will stay again. Special thanks to Ed for checking us in at such a late hour.

The Hotel location was great. The room was really good. I could park in front of my room. I could hear people outside talking. I could hear nothing from inside the hotel. So it wasn't hotel's fault. I have a thing about internet access. Theirs was so so. I wish hotels would spend the money and do better internet. But This one didn't. One point ding! Otherwise, this was a clean, convent place to stay and if you didn't need the internet access, it was GREAT. I didn't use the breakfast, but it was nice and if I had the time, I would have eat there. And the last thing that made a lot of difference was the PRICE. Very very good rate. I got a discount because I am a club member. And I'm AAA. It makes a difference. Makes the boss happy too! The Waffle house next door was good too. (I love Waffle houses!)

hotel was very nice and rooms were clean and comfortable. would stay again. breakfast was excellent. only thing lacking was a luggage carrier because our rooms were in back of hotel alittle far from parking lot.

This was not a planned stop but we were so tired we decided to stop in Joplin. The desk clerk was very accommodating and apologetic that there was nothing left on the ground floor (I have a hard time with stairs). It was around midnight but he was able to give my husband and I a room upstairs that was closest to the stairs and lobby as possible. It made the end of our trip feel like a mini vacation.

A great breakfast! Muffins,waffles, bacon, sausage, toast, etc. There was a dedicated staff member at breakfast. Room was pretty basic but has been recently remodeled. Bathroom & shower has me til, etc. Carpeting not plush but pretty new. Room had a coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator. Staff was very friendly. A very good deal!

We stayed here on a recent trip to Oklahoma. The room was big clean and one of the nicest motels I've stayed in in a long time. Will definitely stay here again when passing through Joplin. The staff was very friendly and courteous

Staff is nice & friendly. Room was ok but bed leaned into middle (thats why the low mark). Wifi is ok. Breakfast is ok. Walking distance to Waffle House but lots of restaurants within 5 minutes or less. Stones throw from I44.

Very nice and clean rooms. Has extras such as microwave, refrigerator, coffe maker, hairdryer, shampoo Friendly and professional staff. Breakfast doable but not great. Nice warm and generous output of water from shower. Air conditioning worked.

BW Hotels are by far the best value........Especially in Joplin, MO....It is the warmest and friendliest....personnel, from the front desk to the cleaning ladies........made you feel like family! It was clean, quiet and close to everything...... Dog friendly with a really nice dog/sitting area that was also kept very clean........Best place to stay for the whole family....

Just off I-44 at Rangeline in Joplin, this is handy to two of my family life events: Last May I stayed there with two of my daughters and their family members to celebrate the graduation of my oldest granddaughter. The ceremony was a couple of miles north just off Rangeline. This visit was when the same granddaughter made me a Great Grandpa at Mercy Hospital just across I-44 from the Best Western. That granddaughter lives in apartments visible just west of the Best Western. So, it is a great location.

Overall experience was poor. The staff seemed unhappy to be there based on multiple conversations held while they were smoking in the breezeway. The rooms were small and cramped. Access to a north side room was a maze filled with obstacles (i.e. storage sheds, cleaning equipment, etc.). Rooms were clean and continental breakfast service was friendly.

Good rates, nice location and a clean room. The walls were a little thin for a light sleeper but overall this place was clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly. There are no elevators and the doors to the room are on the outside so if you don't mind climbing a few stairs this might be your place. I would stay again

First, be aware this hotel has rooms with outside door access. Room smelled of heavy Cherry fragrance. Bathroom was clean and it did have an updated granite counter. The rest of the room had outdated chairs and cabinetry. The world as t experience was the mattress. We had a double room and both beds we're horrible. They we're so worn out they we're concave. We felt springs all night and didn't sleep well at all. Its also a little tricky navigating into the parking lot at night. Shares an entrance with a gas station. The only plus was the staff was friendly and welcoming. Bre as kfast had a decent selection and staff kept full. Down side I as the area to sir and it is really small and it was very tight with the crowd. Needs a lot more updates and amenities to keep up with the other hotels located on this street. Will not stay again and our bodies still ache from those mattresses hours later....

This hotel has great staff who go out of their way to make the stay enjoyable. when we arrived there were no BW sign to confirm our Hotel. We were told that BW is doing a brand change and the current sign was removed. Staff apologized for our several trips up and down the street searching for the hotel and gave us a discount which they did not have to do. We were impressed. Only little note to cleaning staff... Room 147 I dropped my toothpaste under the sink and went looking for it. Really needs a good cleaning there, dustbunnies everywhere there. Rest of the room fine.

Not a bad hotel at all for the price. It was clean, quiet, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only hiccup was that our room keys didn't work, but that was handled immediately. My kids destroyed the breakfast it's always good when we don't have the pay for that!

the front door leaked air so the room was hot then cold and could hear everything that was going on out side witch went on all night and could hear the people next door thru the connecting doors. The night clerk was pushy to get me out of there, gave me no info about the place. the morning staff was nice and pleasant.

This place isn't bad but I have trouble calling a motel where room doors open to the outside, a suite, in any capacity. Check-in was quick and staff is friendly, room was a bit small. Biggest complaints would be the very hard bed and general noise level. Proximity to street and hotel setup seem to accentuate noise. Room was very clean, and contained fridge and a microwave. Shower also quite clean, good water pressure. Seems to be an older place, but not bad. Got thru Hotwire where I later saw was recommended by 45% of users. I'd probably stay again, if just one night and a quick trip.

The hotel staff was very nice and check in was easy as we booked ahead of schedule. Room was nice and clean. Parking was good and we enjoyed our stay for the night. Room looked as if it had been updated with flat screen TV, mini fridge, microwave and coffee pot. Hard wood lead into sink area and went to the bathroom then became tile. Overall good quality stay especially for the price.

this is a common stop for me and my husband driving accross country. this facility is quiet and well located. the staff are very friendly and helpful. i did have to complain about the lumpy bowled bed in my room, but of all my many stays here, it was the 1st time i encountered a bad bed. the manager was most helpful in rectifying the problem. i will always stay here on my way accross country.

Got a late start on a road trip from Austin to St Louis. Decided to pullover and crash here. Got a King Suite. It was much smaller than I expected and not really a "SUITE" at all. It had a king bed with a couch and sitting area next to it. There was a teeny fridge and a microwave next to the TV. I was expecting a separate BR/Living room combination with a kitchen area and some space to stretch out. The room was clean. They waived the $10 charge for my cats. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The free breakfast was much better than expected with eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles, fruit, juice, coffee, yogurt, danishes, cereals and a ton of other stuff. Plenty of hot water, decent towels, adequate makeup lighting, right off the highway. surprisingly it was very quiet. The only real negative is there are no luggage carts to help with your bags. I made several trips to the parking lot to retrieve pet carriers, luggage, coolers, litter box, etc. Thankfully we had a ground floor room but it was on the back side away from the parking lot. The area is safe and well lit and walking to the back side of the property presented no problems. Basically for less than $100 including taxes. It was a good deal and I'll probably stay here again when I go to visit family up the road. The staff and awesome breakfast made the review 4 star. They really made us feel welcome and at home. They have free wifi but I won't use public connections so I can't rate it.

hotel and staff are helpful and excellent! love the large selection for breakfast, eggs, waffles, biscuits and sausage gravy all the cereals and drinks. outdoor pool during season. It's a very classy place.

This motel is undergoing a renovation, so there are workmen and their vehicles blocking certain areas. But the staff makes up for it. Very cheerful, kind and helpful. The room wasn't new, but it was spotless and the beds were very comfortable. I will definitely be back!

Was great value and it was very close to places to eat and to gas up . They were doing upgrading on the outside that was coming along very nicely . We would stay there again .. The people at the front desk made checking in a breeze and checking out was just as nice.

Excellent welcoming staff, answered all my questions about area and hotel. Very clean room and comfortable. Would stay here again if going to Joplin again. was here for ncaa championship cross country meet. They directed me to the college, gave me good advice on where to eat. Excellent breakfast in the morning.

this is one if the nicest hotels my family has stayed at in a while very friendly and attractive employees I will be telling all my friends and family to make this hotel on there list if they are in the area again.

Even thro this hotel is going thru some changes and not all things were up and running is was very nice. The staff was very helpful. We ask about the laundry and were told it was being remodeled however they did give us a voucher to the other hotel in the property and we did it there for free. This is a very nice hotel and it wont cost you and arm and your leg.

I have been taking my track teams to Joplin for the past five years. We love to stay at the Best Western. It is very affordable and clean. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I highly recomend the Best Western to all who are visiting Joplin especially sports teams.

The hotel was clean, the staff friendly and the breakfast OK, but getting the room listed on your reservation doesn't happen. My wife is handicapped with MS; so naturally I always make a reservation requesting an ADA room. This hotel also has parking outside each room which makes access for her even easier. We arrived late as planned (9:00 PM) to find that our ADA room is not available and to make matters worse, the room assignment is in the last building where access from the parking lot is difficult. I made the mistake of reserving another ADA room here for our return trip through Joplin. The manager assured me that we would have an ADA room with late arrival. Guess what? A carbon copy of our first visit. If you stay here and arrive late, there's no good reason to make a reservation because they don't honor it anyway. The manager did provide a $50 discount, but it didn't make our stay any easier or safer.

Stayed two nights at this hotel for business. I am a rewards member and I try to stay at Best Westerns whenever the city I am in has one. This Best Western means well, but could do better. Check-in was great, everyone was super friendly. The room was nice, they are redoing the rooms and I believe our room had new carpet and paint. It was very clean. I was locked out of our room when returning the second day and our room was quite aways from the front desk. I know that hotel room keys can be easily demagnetized so I purposefully keep them away from magnets. I then had to wait while guests in front of me were checked in before I could get my keys fixed and return back to my room. When you have worked all day, this is the last thing you want to have to do. Also, breakfast eggs were watery both days and the hotel ran out of coffee creamer. There is a real business problem with Saturday mornings, having only one person at the desk to check out guests and serve the breakfast area is not fair to the worker or to the guests.

My husband and I booked a king suite and the room was absolutely horrible. We should've left as soon as we walked in. The bedspread was stained and the room smelled like mold and urine. But it was late and we had already been on the road for 12 hours. So we attempted to stick it out. That's until I got up to use the bathroom and saw roaches scatter. We left immediately and are now driving another 4 hours home at 1AM. We've stayed at many Best Westerns and have never had an experience like this

We were greeted by friendly staff when we arrived rather late in the evening. Second floor room had been recently remodeled and furniture replaced with new. Bed was firm and very comfortable. Would stay if in the area again without hesitation
