"Great little Gem"
Stevenson_steve, 19 Avril 2024

Up in the area from North Yorkshire, our friends recommended this for the good food it served, wow they weren't wrong, cooked from fresh, home made meat pie, Chicken in a bun, yeah half a one, good job we were hungry, great atmosphere great staff and service.

"One nighter"
Joanna4153, 10 Avril 2024

Room had a lovely Loch view. Was cramped and bathroom small. Slightly happy decor. At La are in the restaurant not available. If someone offers to take your suitcase up stair say Yes please. They are spiral and it it hard! Staff very helpful and friendly. Excellent service throughout. Meal in the bar wa good. Lemon posset with fruit compote wa superb

"Honest review"
Jembob1888, 09 Avril 2024

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel . The hotel is clean and staff are good but and there is a but . We will not be staying here again . Whether it's bad luck or it's the norm but on both occasions the bed was so uncomfortable and uneven . I do need a comfy bed as my back isn't the best and found the stay not a comfortable experience.

"No better Place to be Stranded¬"
Explore55077697707, 07 Avril 2024

I was stuck due to ferries not running in storm Kathleen. A friend recommended Inveraray inn. It did not disappoint! Lovely staff and great warm and very clean room. Bed so very comfy. Meal in bar was excellent (steak pie and veg with mash) Delicious! Bar staff very attentive. As was leaving sunday morning early and breakfast wasn't until 8 they very kindly let me in beforehand and had delicious scrambled eggs with toast and tea. Lovely helpful staff. I would definately stay here again over any other place nearby. Thank you Inveraray inn.

"Disappointing."
izzyalbrecht, 22 Mars 2024

Booked a double room paying extra for a Loch view. The room allocated had a double and a single bed and was to cramped that the only way to enjoy the view was to sit on the single bed. The My Hotel Break we booked through mentioned that we would have £25 each so £50 towards dinner, which was not the case as we were given a set 3 course menu which we could chose 2 courses. The staff were not very helpful. Although we were warned in advance about the winding stairs. They were quite steep.

"Nice Place to Stay"
FF51DEB, 17 Mars 2024

The Inveraray Inn is a clean and tidy hotel run by a team of really helpful and friendly staff. The bar and dining area is relaxing and the food is good. Breakfast was excellent and served with a smile, which is always a good start to any day. We have booked again; it's a perfect stop off for our journeys further north and we look forward to returning.

"I like the Inveraray Inn but..."
harveyhalloway, 03 Mars 2024

Stayed here many times over the past 15 years with my wife, nice bar & restaurant & decent enough food most times. However, for the first time I realized that the sound insulation in the hotel is appalling between rooms. We were allocated Room 207 & had our one night stay spoiled by massive Glaswegian gobsh*tes in the next room talking & swearing loudly in the next room between around 2200-2345. I was tempted to murder them all but decided that would culminate in a divorce so resisted that very strong temptation. I said to reception on check out when asked how was my stay but very limited interest by hotel staff. I have stayed in The George, Brambles & Inveraray Inn on multiple occasions in the last 15 years. If you truly value peace and quiet, do not stay in any of these establishments, book yourself somewhere more private & go self catering is my advice, I like the Inveraray Inn but will be only visiting for food or drink next time & I will never stay here again due to the thin walls. Ironic for a hotel built in the 1800s when you would expect stud walls did not exist!

"Lovely place to stay the staff couldn't be more helpful"
John W, 03 Mars 2024

We decided to go away for a overnight break and picked the Inveraray inn Inveraray is a lovely place we book bed and breakfast from check in all the staff we met couldn't have been nicer and more welcoming we decided to eat in the lounge bar for dinner The food was lovely and reasonable priced also they have a great selection for breakfast something for everyone I can totally recommend you stay here and I will definitely be back

"A wee gem! "
Kerry C, 02 Mars 2024

Hotel with character! Rooms small but got everything you need. Clean, lovely hot shower & really comfortable bed. Great breakfast & friendly staff. What's not to enjoy! Great choice, especially as a base for exploring this beautiful part of Scotland. We'll be back!

"First clas Service and Standards"
imminent, 27 Février 2024

Stayed two nights at the Inveraray Inn and all staff we came in contact with were very helpful and friendly and any request was met with a smile and a cheery word - Room was spotless but public area could do with an update. Evening food on both nights was superb as was the service. Breakfast was very poor on first morning but much improved on second morning - Only area of concern was that menu choice did not correspond with website & cost of drink more expensive than was detailed in Hotel Web-site.

"Excellent hotel"
VinceM789, 25 Février 2024

We love the Inveraray Inn . Such a good hotel with friendly staff and very accommodating. The food is excellent and we loved our stay again at your brilliant hotel. Well recommended this hotel in area of outstanding beauty. Our 2nd stay this month and we will definitely be back

"Lovely hotel - family friendly"
Dmc C, 08 Février 2024

Stayed in a family room with a beautiful view over Loch Fyne. Very clean, spacious and lots of lovely little extras. Breakfast was also really delicious. Staff friendly and good service. Really good value and location is perfect. Would be our first choice to stay again when in Inveraray next.

"Lovely hotel, great value with nice food."
95grahama, 30 Janvier 2024

First class servise all round. We booked as part of a larger club event. The team at the Inveraray Inn done a fantastic job looking after us all. Great Servise, lovely food, clean comfy rooms. Certinaly will be re booking for next year. Great job!

"Excellent food at a sensible price and great service."
julianaU7881RF, 28 Septembre 2023

Stayed at a B&B nearby and went to The Inveraray Inn for an evening bar meal. Despite being extremely busy with people coming to see a live band there, the service we received was exemplary. Very courteous, efficient and welcoming staff and the quality of the food (pizza and a steak & ale pie) was absolutely excellent. Fresh veg with the pie too and nicely cooked! Would definitely recommend. Many thanks indeed to all the staff.

"Lunch & Dog Friendly"
Mikegslancs, 27 Septembre 2023

Went here for lunch with my friend & my dog. Very professional staff & good selection of food. Only complaint is that they do not serve Real Ale. This is a problem all over Scotland though. Real Ale is a must, please stock it.

"Perfect"
Gingersnaps7615, 27 Septembre 2023

We have just returned from an outstanding stay at Inveraray Inn. From the moment we arrived we were given the warmest welcome. The rooms were immaculate, with stunning views. Our evening meal was outstanding from start to finish, but for us the highlight was the dedicated team, who ensured we had a trip to remember. We've never met such hard working, friendly, enthusiastic staff who's goal is to ensure the perfect customer experience. Thank you so much. We can't wait to return.

"A memorable diner."
Jenny L, 26 Septembre 2023

We had a special dinner for my 80th birthday. Working with Hairi to organize it was easy and effortless. The staff on the night couldn't have been better and the food received 100% from all 14 of us. What was noticeable was the sense of humor of the staff when dealing with 14 people. It was. An amazing night.

"The room was nice however numerous extremely cheeky bad mannered ignorant staff"
James S, 24 Septembre 2023

Extremely bad staff, very very ignorant and cheeky. Treated as if you were an unwanted guest in their own home instead of a paying customer in a hotel that they work in. Would avoid at all costs. If you can't get a night in the George hotel just don't bother with this place.

"Wonderful time!"
Christian F, 19 Septembre 2023

We had the garden suite. Very comfortable, nice shower, comfortable beds, they provided coffee, tea, chocolates in the room. Great breakfast with whatever beverages you want. Helpful staff. Right in the center of the village. Had a wonderful time. Will definitely be back.

"A great stay - with a view"
Joyce S, 17 Septembre 2023

We stayed in the only downstairs room - The Porters Lodge - a lovely room comfortable bed with two comfy chairs - just the right amount of comfort with out being OTT. Large accessible wet room too. We will definitely stay again if we can book this room. Evening meal was OK- Cullen Skink expensive and was more like leek and potato soup - mentioned this to the waited who wasn't concerned but he wasn't paying for it - I was! Hubby's starter was haggis balls with whisky but not great either - the pizas were much better but asking for pineapple added to my vegetable piza brought comment from the waiter who was possibly Italian(?) Hubby had blackpudding and haggis piza - which he enjoyed. Breakfast was a must - a good start to the day . I had smoked haddock and scrambled egg for my main and hubby hadca full Scottish breakfast.

"Don't stay here"
conradd570, 31 Août 2023

Booked in January, booked dinner later, bookings acknowledged. Arrived to find no booking. Took the only available room, the furthest away on the top floor. No lift. Asked for assistance with bags, these were taken up and dropped at the top of the staircase leaving us to transport them our room, involving steps. Discovered the dining room was unavailable for dinner, had to eat in the bar. Hotel offers cream teas with 'freshly made scones'. We decided to try it. The scones were like bricks, too long in the microwave. Freshly made? Runny, not clotted cream. Breakfast very average.

"Evening meal"
Ian090422, 21 Août 2023

Called in for evening meal with my wife. She had the chicken burger and I had mussels. Both meals were excellent as were the staff. Great location and dog friendly. Will visit again and probably stay there.

"Nice enough but overpriced. "
dianne b, 21 Août 2023

Booked in for 2 nights. We stayed in room 201 which I would describe as a small double. Overpriced at £375 for 2 night, not including breakfast. Had dinner first night, mince and potatoes was nice enough but very small portion. Mac and cheese came with 2 slices of garlic bread. Again overpriced for what we got. Nice enough staff and clean enough but too expensive. When I said at reception room was very small basically said nothing they can do about size of room.

"Booking system unreliable. Don't bother with this one. "
Mark R, 17 Août 2023

A friend and I booked this hotel in Jan 2023 and were told in Aug 2023 that they had double-booked and that they had no room for us. Less than one month of notice. We were offered another hotel over 30 miles away without any good deal. Late communication and little respect for customers. Suggest avoid.

"Wouldn't stay here again !!!!"
Go209421, 14 Août 2023

An absolute shambles of a hotel !! My husband & I pulled up at 00.05 on Sunday morning to see was there a room available... The night porter said yes there is £250... my husband informed me that there is a room for £250, we had travelled all day and we were wrecked & tired.. When we entered the hotel the night porter was at the reception, my husband informed him we would take the room... tbh the night porter hadn't a clue at what he was doing... only interested in getting the £250 payment whilst he nearly blocked my husbands card & my husband twice told him that he needs to put his card into the machine but the porter didn't listen, then arrived waitress ( whilst informed its she use to do reception) the waitress said to my husband you need to insert your card, my husband responded ' I told him that ' the waitress also filled out the paperwork whilst the porter had no knowledge of either ' joke ' really... We were informed of a wedding etc, staff appeared to be stressed & the waitress informed us of breakfast time, I said we be down before 10 and she replied bout booking a time as they would be busy cause they had a wedding and guest staying. My husband & I went to our room, whilst wasn't what you call speculator ' certainly not worth £250 from 00.18 in the morning.. We went for breakfast, wasn't what you call great tbh On departing the hotel, I said to the reception how come we were charged £250 for the night, when I had checked room prices and on the system the dearest was £206 The receptionist fumble around with the system, informed us it was a Saturday night rate, I questioned how could it be when it was 00.18 hrs when we checked in 13/08/2023 not the 12/08/2023, she fumble more tbh she hadn't a clue either what she was doing, I did inform her I would get in touch with the manager but unfortunately no email address is available for the hotel.. Also the waitress that filled out the paper work put down the 13/08/2023 but was told by another staff member to change it to the 12/08/2923, she then scribbled a 2 over the 3 whilst was wrong to do too. The waitress was nice, but rest of staff were ok

"Excellent value!"
elainecbell, 30 Janvier 2023

Myself and my fiancé stayed overnight here using the winter deal. It is fantastic value for money! All the staff are friendly and the food was great. We love Inveraray and visit often i wouldn't hesitate in recommending this hotel. Thank you we will definitely return!

"Terrible "service""
Amy M, 30 Janvier 2023

Me and my partner live close to Inveraray and decided to drop in for a bite to eat for our anniversary. We use to come here regularly. Sadly this experience was not a pleasant one, the staff didnt seem to care we were even there, not one person come to check on us or to take our order, they were just congregated like they didnt have a clue what to do. Not one member of staff came over to us even after trying to get there attention. We ended up leaving and going to another local spot. It seems this place has really gone downhill which is such a shame as it use to be a delight to visit! Maybe going back to local management again with employees who care about their prospective patrons instead of these rude people! We will 100% not be visiting again and friends and family iv spoke to have said the same. Its an utter disgrace!

"Food and service is terrible"
N3346IZkarent, 25 Janvier 2023

Seriously don't dine here. The food is not worth the money and staff are appalling. We waited nearly 20 mins and left. Not one person spoke to us. This place needs a shake up. I live just up the road from Inveraray, and go into town alot to eat out. I , along with alot of locals will not eat here again .

"Disappointed"
MJN1959, 20 Novembre 2022

Very disappointed with service and staff. Unhelpful and disinterested Went in for a meal staff were not interested in serving us had a disgraceful attitude and were not willing to help. Like other comments staff avoided us eventually left . Had a lovely meal at the George Hotel who were great . The staff at Inveraray Inn should visit The George and learn about customer care

"Absolutely disappointed"
Hobbit133, 19 Novembre 2022

As a local family we have been going to the Hotel for years, My husband and I got married there many years ago. Popped in for some lunch, like we have done so many times before. We were not greeted or acknowledged. We sat down waited for a menu but had to go and get them myself. The barman and waiters looked at us and started clearing tables instead of serving us. I have to add we were the only ones there. So they had no excuse for not serving or speaking to us. Didn't even come and take a drinks order. My little girl was so hungry she even shouted “I want fish and chips” and still no joy. We sat for over 20mins and still nothing so we walked out..

"The Inveraray Inn, hotel "
john c, 09 Novembre 2022

The hotel was acceptable for an overnight stay. The bar and restaurant were basic but comfortable and the food was reasonably good. We paid £159 and were given a fairly basic room at the back of the hotel with a view back yard that looked like a scapyard. I do not understand why hotels do this, especially when it was practically empty. If given a decent room we would have left with a much better feeling about the hotel and submitted a much more favorable review. Overall we felt it could be a good place to stay but my advice to the management would be, don't give guests rubbish rooms when you don't need to.

"Visit to Inverary"
redsilas2022, 19 Octobre 2022

Having stayed at the Inverary Inn previously, I returned to stay again. This was based on the quality of the hotel - in terms of both staff and environment that I had experienced previously - and the value for money the Inverary Inn provides.

"top holiday destination"
gatekeeperplants, 04 Octobre 2022

beautiful location, helpful and friendly staff, very good facilities. Rarely go on holiday so try to choose somewhere that looks as it it will provide me with the best experience to remember, and the Inveraray Inn did just that.

"Super clean & dog-friendly stay"
cbstroman, 01 Octobre 2022

Wonderful hotel experience in the lovely village of Inveraray. The food is delicious & service friendly. Everything was very clean & conveniently located to all that this charming village has to offer. We'd definitely stay here again!

"Inveraray Inn"
Navigate569985, 01 Octobre 2022

Lovely hotel, with a fabulous outlook and surroundings. The staff were very friendly and the food was excellent. Our room was clean and comfortable, with fresh towels each day. Even the cleaning staff were so helpful and friendly. Even my dog was made welcome.

"Charming stay"
Chrisnfrank, 07 Septembre 2022

Lovely characterful listed building, friendly helpful staff & super tasty breakfast. Bed Rooms well equipped & spacious however could benefit from more soundproofing Awesome location with breathtaking views of Loch Fyne.

"Friendly welcome in a great location."
petermV7371GA, 07 Septembre 2022

Stayed here for one night during our motorcycle tour of Scotland. Staff were most welcoming, the place was clean even if the decor is a little dated, and the Loch Fyne kipper for breakfast was fantastic.

"Smallest bed for two"
TheJourneyIsIt, 01 Septembre 2022

The hotel is in a good location and we enjoyed the restaurant and service very much. Staff is incredibly friendly. Our room was on the top floor and TINY. Pretty much, the bed that seemed the size of a twin pretty much filled in the room so it wasn't easy to get in and out of it. Very small, very uncomfortable mattress - almost no sleep that night. It wasn't cheap either. So, as nice as the rest of the experience, the town and the loch were, we won't be back

"Really Bad Service"
M7302CJrichardm, 24 Août 2022

We had to give a foteign waiter our order about 5 times and still he got it wrong, so we all ended up eating our meals at different times, then the waiter walked about in a bad mood making us feel very uncomfortable, l remember ehen this place had a bit of class and people would rave about there experience but not now ,diners beware there are better places to eat in Inveraray.

"Inveraray Inn"
X9765PQsallyw, 22 Août 2022

Stayed here for two nights B&B.as it was the only room to be had in Inveraray at the weekend. It was much more than I'd normally pay - £200 per night - but thought it would be a treat. How wrong I was! The room was small and basic, with cheap plasticky drawers, wardrobe and loo. On the upside, the bed was comfortable and the view of the loch through the small window was nice. There were some noisy drunk people arguing in the street outside our room on Saturday night, which was unpleasant. Breakfast was very poor. We had to ask for a cup, glasses for the juice (cheap apple or orange and that's yet whack), the veggie sausage was inedible. Really no excuse for that - you can get lovely veggie sausage nowadays. Very limited choice and inexperienced staff. Toast was spongy and cold, had to ask for butter. No refill of coffee. A spoonful of baked beans, tiny amount of scrambled egg. Did not feel looked after. On mentioning this at checkout, the receptionist said new staff had been on that day. Well ok, but surely someone should have been training and supervising them. No apology for what was a very poor experience. Oh, and someone else's bar food had been added to our bill. All in all, a disappointing experience. And at £400 for two nights, I definitely won't be back.

"meeting up with family"
patricia f, 22 Août 2022

We had arranged to meet up with family to spend the afternoon together, they came down from Oban,we went from Arrochar,as we were early decided to have an early lunch. The tables overlooking the loch were all full so we went round the side into the public bar,a more dreary room I have yet to see. Ordered drinks & food,I asked the water if they did tosted sandwiches ,he said they did ,so ordered 2 cheese & chutney toasties, when they came they had never seen a toaster despite the waiter saying they had,due to a language barrier,English not their mother tongue he insisted they were toasties.they came with a bit of salad & a small pot of some type of relish, resembled cous cous but had the most awful peppery dressing,we both left this. I am sure there are much better places to eat where the waiting staff are more pleasant, would never visit again nor would I recommend. 2 sandwiches,a latte & a lemonade £17.65.

"Not a good experience"
Cunard22647, 17 Août 2022

Visited the Inverary Inn today and after using the main entrance and being welcomed by the receptionist. On ordering drinks at the bar we were asked if we intended to order food. When we declined we were then asked to go into the public bar which we found to be rather shabby and not what we expected in Inverary. Altogether a very poor experience and not at all welcome as per signage ar the front of the hotel. Also staff had some difficulty in understanding our needs due to their national tongue. Will not recommend to anyone when visiting Invereary.

"Bland"
Philmari, 17 Août 2022

Nice view nice room that's about it needs fans in room very hot even with window open. restaurant menu very poor we didn't eat there. it was ok for one night bar staff not very friendly. Would not stay again

"Nc500"
W5310QMlynnl, 04 Août 2022

stayed here during my trip doing the North Coast 500 with my partner and another 2 couples. This was our last stop before we went home. The room was lovely and clean. The person who was working at the reception desk when I arrived was lovely and very accommodating. One of the couples got engaged on the trip and she offered the biggest room out of the three for the newly engaged couple. I was not impressed with the breakfast, it wasn't the worst food but not the best. The staff at breakfast were quite sarcastic. Not sure if some of the comments made were for a joke or were serious and not the most professional. The table we sat at for breakfast was next to the window and the ledge and window were covered in small bugs. I know it's an old building and the windows are wooden surroundings, some can't be helped, however, it was quite a lot all over the ledge and window.

"Inedible food don't waste your money"
kitkatz84, 30 Juillet 2022

Popped in to grab food and it was honestly inedible. The burger tasted like a block of salt and I couldn't take more than a couple of bites Also had chicken and noodles. The chicken was chewy and tasted disgusting. The setting itself seemed nice and clean toilets but only good for a cuppa DO NOT EAT HERE

"Pleasant stay but dated building"
mcgill73, 30 Juillet 2022

Spent a night here as part of a driving tour round Western Scotland in June 2022. The hotel has a fantastic location with stunning views over Loch Fyne. We found the staff very friendly and the place certainly has character. However the building does feel very dated, even though there has been a recent refurbishment. Getting to and from reception to our room involved walking up and down various sets of stairs and through what felt like a maze. The room itself was pleasant if cramped. The bathroom was clean but felt cheap with a plastic floor and toilet roll holder attached to the back of the door (not come across that before). There were tea and coffee making facilities provided, and a rather small TV in the room. We had dinner the night we stayed, and thought the food and service was of good quality. We paid nearly £300 for one night's stay and dinner, and thought it was expensive for what we got. As with many old hotels in the UK, we felt it did not offer the level of service and amenities required in the 21st century.

"Gorgeous view"
Daverblond, 13 Juillet 2022

The Inveraray Inn is charming and hospitable, and the view from our room was outstanding. The room was small, but the view over the loch, with the hills in the background, can't be beat. We had a great breakfast the next morning in the beautiful dining room, although a supplement for the kipper breakfast was a bit of cheek. I'd gladly return to Inveraray to enjoy the town's quaint and quiet charm.

"Short summer stay"
Val T, 11 Juillet 2022

The hotel is situated in an excellent position on the shore of Loch Fyne at Inveraray. It's a traditional Scottish hotel with warm, cosy rooms and a delightful dining room. The breakfasts are freshly cooked to order and the bar meals were delicious. Friendly and helpful staff.

"This is a Gem"
brenda1163, 08 Juillet 2022

We had a fab stay for a chill out few days away. Hotel is in excellent location, we had a view of the loch. We had a lovely spacious room and had book bed and breakfast. The quality of the food was excellent and reasonably priced. All staff that we encountered were the best of the best.

"Wonderful stay in this really lovely property"
847cecilf, 05 Juillet 2022

Location for our trip was excellent, our room was modern, spotless, spacious.Reception was efficient, very helpful and welcoming. Enjoyed our stay very much....Lots to do in the immediate area. Definately would stay again.Only had Breakfast on this visit.

"Excellent in so many ways"
Mark R, 25 Juin 2022

This delightful and historic hotel was exactly what it says on the tin. Dinner was a relaxed affair, and one of the best we've had in ages. The staff were all, without exception, so friendly, welcoming and accommodating. We had a table with stunning views too, so that it was a highlight of our holiday. Looking forward to returning soon..

"Very poor service"
yzat181, 06 Juin 2022

The service was so bad, most of the staff either ignored or were "miserable" when serving customers. Breakfast left a lot to be desired and the meals at dinner time were average at best. Overpriced for standard of rooms, meals and service. Most staff were unpleasant and some were just rude. It was that bad we decided we would not go back to Inverary if that was the standard to expect. Fortunately on the last evening we went to the George Hotel - the staff were so pleasant, nothing was too difficult and the standard of meals in the restaurant was excellent. I would never stay or eat at the Inverary Inn again and would certainly not recommend.

"Beautiful Castle Stay"
Susan B, 18 Mai 2022

Stayed for one night and toured the Dun Robin Castle nearby. The in-house restaurant was a winner for dinner. We walked the grounds and enjoyed all the items to see in this castle hotel. Book your tea time ahead as we couldn't have one without a reservation. The family room, on the highest level, had a fabulous separate room for our third. The bedding was high-end and rooms were well-appointed.

"Old and tired"
MFC17, 17 Mai 2022

Our Loch facing room had a fabulous view and great Wi-Fi but was best described as basic. The room was very hot, even in early May when the outside temperature was 11 degrees we could not get our room to a reasonable temperature with the heating off and window open. This made sleeping difficult, together with the squeaky floorboards and lack of soundproofing between rooms. Overall the hotel, other than the restaurant and bar, looked tired and in need of refurbishment. The breakfast selection was ok but many items that should have been hot were luke warm or even cold. We have never had cold poached eggs before and hope not to have them again! We booked dinner in the restaurant on our final night but received a phone call at lunchtime on the day to say that the restaurant was closed but they could book us a table in the bar instead. We had chosen the restaurant as the menu contained dishes that we would have preferred. The bar meal was poor and again items were cold. A discount was given however a decent meal was all we wanted. Sadly we would not stay at the Inn again.

"Dreadful hotel"
kittykat168973, 14 Mai 2022

Usually stay at The George but gave this hotel a bash...Way overpriced for a 2 night getaway.(£350 for b&b) On going upstairs to room there is a stale smell, Room tiny, no water, no fan, no ironing board or iron. Room not clean, boiling hot, squeaky floorboards, doors banging at all hours and you can hear everything from adjacent guests bedrooms..no soundproofing at all. Couldn't wait to get home for a decent nights sleep. Receptionist not interested in hearing complaint just buried head in desk. customer service skills needs to be addressed to staff here. Will I return or recommend.....definitely not.

"Wee break"
Plumbjan, 26 Avril 2022

Quite a lot of Inverary has closed it has not been able to withstand the COVID curse. There are certainly signs of regeneration and it is such a lovely scenic part of the country I will certainly return without question.

"Nice but expensive and a long way to go to be good"
dougj64, 25 Avril 2022

I paid for a superior room with a four poster bed and got a large room with squeeky floorboards which was overly warm, although there was no heating, and a partial view over the harbour. We were right above the outside bar area which was quite loud as a football match was on but if we had to stay in our room, we wouldnt have been happy. The quality of food was good but the menu was only partial to what is online and costs were higher. If i was going back to Inveraray, i would try one of the other hotels in Inveraray first

"Very Enjoyable Stay"
Guavian, 11 Avril 2022

Rooms were clean and warm with excellent amenities. Beds were very comfortable and Wi-Fi signal was very strong. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Food was excellent, especially the homemade soup of the day. Social distancing measures are adhered to by staff and actively enforced (a rare distinction). Very good value for money.

"Still brilliant!"
maryj5545, 06 Avril 2022

2nd visit here and if anything was even better than before. Partner's birthday and they decorated table for him without asking! Brilliant food no matter where you eat, staff are absolutely fantastic and so friendly. Room was also very comfortable with all amenities and beauview of the loch. Will be back again! Thank you so much

roseinaburns, 05 Avril 2022

The Inveraray Inn is situated next to the waterfront the views were to die for and the weather was fabulous. The staff could not do enough for you although they were clearly understaffed they never complained. You just needed to ask for something and if they could get you it they would. Excellent food and drinks in abundance rooms were clean and tidy fabulous power shower in our room and it was spotless. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone to stay at and we will definitely be staying again. Dog friendly which was fantastic as this was our first time taking our dogs with us. Designated areas in hotel for you to have your dogs with you through out the day.

"Short Break"
Debs195734, 30 Mars 2022

We have just returned from a two night stay at the Inveraray Inn and hope to return again! The location of this hotel is stunning, facing directly onto Loch Fyne but it is the staff who really make this place. No expensive luxury 5 star spa hotel here but - if you want good value for money and a great nights sleep in a warm comfy room, good food, great service, and an excellent welcome from staff where nothing is too much trouble then this is the place to stay! Karen, Margaret and Rhiannon along with other waiting staff, provide an outstanding service which makes this place such a little gem. We will return - thank you for looking after us so well..... Debbie and Alan Smith

"A nice weekend"
MoMckendrick1, 16 Mars 2022

Had a winter getaway weekend with my husband and we had a lovely time. Nice comfortable room - spotless! Lots of space, and great staff. Really friendly. Food in the bar was better than the restaurant. Bar was nice and cosy with 'nice pints'

"Superb views from room overlooking Loch Fyne"
970glover, 13 Mars 2022

On site parking, warm hospitality, good restaurant food and an excellent cooked breakfast included in the rate so we were very happy. It is a period property so we were prepared for the stairs which were a bit of a struggle with our case!

"Inveraray Inn Hotel"
Trevor M, 09 Mars 2022

This gem of a Hotel is well worth a visit. We stayed for 2days for my Birthday and sll the staff made the visit so enjoyable, especially Keshia and Margaret. The food available was of a high standard on both the pub and dining room menues. This Hotel is well worth a 5 star rating

"Lovely location"
denisekidd2022, 08 Mars 2022

A lovely hotel in a beautiful location overlooking Loch Fyne. Our room was on the second floor and albeit small it was clean and absolutely adequate for our 3 night leisure trip. There is no lift so you need to be mobile to climb the spiral staircase. All staff were helpful and friendly. The public lounge was good and the food we ordered was presented well and tasty. There is a good bus service just outside the hotel that goes to a number of destinations. We visited Inveray Jail tourist attraction which was walking distance from the hotel and worth a visit. Inveray Castle is also just across the road!

"Stunning long weekend"
JPGFirstaid, 07 Mars 2022

We stayed here from March 03rd to March 06, there was myself and my wife and our friends (another couple). I have to say from the moment we arrived until we checked out, the service we received was exceptional. All of the staff were incredibly helpful from the Receptionist printing out a bus timetable for us to the bar staff who were always attentive to our needs. Special mention must go out to Kanisha who was an absolute delight serving us breakfast one morning then working behind the bar a following evening. She was pleasant, funny and always pleasant and made our stay just that little bit more special. A real asset to the hotel. The rooms were spacious and clean with a good shower. If you stay in Inveraray, you must try out Fyne Ales brewery they are only open 12 noon to 6.00pm each day but we'll worth a visit. Excellent beers on offer with a warm, friendly welcome.

"Fabulous"
B8522VOjackied, 06 Mars 2022

Stayed here on a Groupon deal. Room fabulous. Very clean. The staff in the hotel were excellent. I'm vegan and my partner is cealic. There wasn't much on the menu we could have but the staff were amazing and tweaked things for us. I had the best vegan Wellington I have ever tasted. Would be fantastic if it could be permanently on the menu. We were so impressed with how we were treated by the staff, they are a credit to you.

"Loved it, great value for money."
jimandlynn101112, 05 Mars 2022

Spent a couple of nights here .It has a great location and we had a stunning view from our room. Great food and excellent menu. The staff were fantastic and very helpful. We'll definitely be back and hope to do this soon.

"Lovely break"
Margaret M, 02 Mars 2022

We had a lovely couple of nights break. Room was spotless, bed comfy, food great, staff friendly and helpful. Really good breakfast. Excellent value for money on the deal we got. Inveraray is such a lovely wee place. Will be back

"3 nights with 2 dogs"
sidly, 17 Février 2022

Great friendly staff who were very helpful. Rooms were very clean and warm and spacious. Conservatory for breakfast with the dogs was a bit cramped for 3 tables but if only 2 family were there it was great. The breakfast was delicious

"Excellent stay"
elizabethpuddick, 16 Février 2022

We had a good drive, through magnificent scenery. No dual carriageway but we made very good time on the journey. As an older couple with limited movement, and with a small dog, our stay at Inveraray was very good, all staff very helpful and friendly. Would certainly stay there again

"Poor, which is a shame for such a great location"
Iain S, 13 Février 2022

Poor stay, worst nights sleep in a hotel for a long long time. We stayed for one night in February, for the cost the room quality was disappointing and the response to my feedback that it was my worst nights sleep ever was lacking. We walked into a room that was like a furnace, we turned all the heating off and opened the window at 3pm, it stayed like that through the night - but still way too hot to sleep, aided by traffic noise from the open window. Breakfast was nice. Food in bar in the evening was good, but bar could do with a spruce up. Way way overpriced, to have the brass neck to charge that amount for the worst nights sleep ever is impressive and annoying. The location is stunning, but I would recommend staying elsewhere.

"A great stay"
Maureen M, 06 Février 2022

Lovely, cosy hotel. Very comfortable, clean spacious room and bathroom which were spotless. Great bar food, warm, open fires and the friendliest staff around. This is where I'll stay any time I'm in this lovely wee town. Chef! Sort your veggie sausages out though!!

"Short stay"

Visited on a Groupon break and highly satisfied with our short stay. Room decor basic but comfortable enough. Bar area welcoming with the fire on, breakfast adequate and served by lovely, friendly staff. Overall an e

"Very nice hotel"
ionam941, 30 Janvier 2022

My Husband and I have just returned from a 2 night stay. We had a meal in the bar on our first night food and service was very good. Breakfast on both mornings was also tasty and fresh. We had a standard room which although small was spotless and had a loch view. We couldn't fault the hotel, we felt it was value for money and would happily return.

"So bad, I left early…"
J153x, 30 Janvier 2022

This is only the second place in my whole life of travel, that I've actually chosen to leave early. People don't want to spend money at places where you are continually pestered about something. As a mask exempt individual, this hotel really enforces it to the point where customer service and manners go out the window, greeting someone politely is non existent as it's is the first thing they seem to say. Some people choose to not wear lanyards as they don't want to, and I am one of them, I don't have to explain that as it's genuinely none of your business. I was infuriated as one particular member of staff, I heard her interactions with two other groups in the hotel restaurant the night I got there, so unbelievably rude about masks. Then this particular individual without even saying good morning, half way through taking an order from another table in the morning, whilst I went up to get apple juice, loudly said ‘could you put a mask on?'. No please, no good morning, absolutely humiliating & infuriating. I'm a woman in my 30s, I don't go away for a weekend for some jumped up silly girl who's got an attitude problem to do that to me. You might want to put this particular staff member through some customer service training as she's got none. It's kinda pathetic that some people get such a kick out of harassing people at their job about this particular matter. As someone who's worked in management in hotels and hospitality for years, she wouldn't be working in my establishment, she's incredibly rude. After this experience I was actually going to speak to manager upon check out as I was staying for 2 nights. The reason I cut my trip short as I went down for lunch and had the exact same experience AGAIN. Total mask police, this time I didn't bite my tongue, I said to the staff member I've already disclosed this to her who's on the bar. And she did say sorry I didn't realise you had already said it's just because you don't have lanyard, asking once again in the middle of the restaurant infront of people. People do not have to explain themselves to any of you! Humiliating again. In this interaction, the girl I had an issue with at breakfast had the audacity to come up to me and the other staff, and say I didn't shout at you at breakfast to put a mask on. Who is this girl & why is she working in a customer service role? Why is she so incredibly rude? Why would I make up that whole thing up!? The duty manager was a nice woman, if only the staff had her same manner. Having explained this situation to duty manager & general manager, his reason was that some people coming up from England don't know you still have to wear a mask. I don't care that's not my problem, it's been nearly 2 years, use your common sense everyone sees things about the masks every single day, if someone isn't wearing a mask it's because they have a reason. I've never been pestered so much in my life by such rude people. I've been to Pitlochry, Arran, Oban, Tobermory, Arrochar & not had any experiences even close to this as a paying customer at a hotel. There were two other guests who wore the exempt badges whilst I was there and that's what some people feel comfortable doing. And there was also a bar staff member who had one. However please understand people do not have to wear this to be treated like a normal human being in your establishment. Under Scottish Government guidelines for mask wearing I'd seriously educate your staff, as I'm actually deeply disturbed by the whole experience. So my weekend away to destress was ruined as I actually felt so uncomfortable I had to leave. I would never return and spend my money at somewhere treating people like this. I only got my 2nd night refunded but in hindsight I feel the entire stay should have been, as it was so humiliating. Dreadful experience!

"Don't bother if you have a dog!"
Peter R, 09 Janvier 2022

We stayed for two nights in January with a dog. Made to feel like second class citizens! The first night we were stuck out in the conservatory despite ringing in advance to book a table in the bar. Arrived to be told the bar was busy. The second night despite only being two couples , Including us we were told to go to the public bar ( largely empty the night before) . We ate elsewhere and the food was better, so some good came of it

"Lovely hotel "
503MaryM, 19 Décembre 2021

Lovely hotel, friendly staff, food delicious, only letdown, room small, we booked a loch view, which we got, for what we paid thought the room would have been bigger, have stayed in other hotels cheaper than this, and the rooms have been bigger, however that was the only downside, would we stay again, yes but not at the price we paid, people staying at home now for obvious reasons, but there's no need for hotels to start bumping up there prices so much.

"Visit to The Inverary Inn"
O8877NJelizabethg, 13 Décembre 2021

Stayed two nights at this hotel 8th to 10th December. Staff are consistantly friendly, helpful and could not do enough to make our stay pleasant. Rooms were spotlessly clean and recently re-decorated. Food was of a good standard. Location on the shore of Loch Fyne, an beautiful interim location for exploring further in the area. Many of the staff are from overseas, and I was pleased to hear that they had been kept on during Lockdown and had supported each other through that. That in itself would make me want to go back.

"Excellent"
Trish252892, 30 Novembre 2021

Excellent hotel with very comfortable clean accommodation, lovely decor and excellent service. The staff couldn't have been more helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be back and would recommend to friends and family. The stunning views from our room were exceptional - what a way to wake up looking onto the loch and the hills.

"Best signature hotel we have stayed at!."
jmsproductionsltd, 20 Novembre 2021

This was the best signature experience we have had!. Everything was first class, and the staff were fantastic!. The room was excellent, the bed was excellent!. The location is stunning!, and we could not have asked for more!. Well done to everybody at the Inn!.

"Wouldn't revisit"
NatalieGodden, 30 Octobre 2021

We booked here for lunch whilst in holiday. We were placed in the conservatory (which had lovely views) but otherwise seemingly forgotten about. We walked through the very smoky bar area into what looked like an impressive setting. However, we then waited 45 minutes for food and whilst the staff weren't rude, they were not friendly either. They brought the wrong food to our table and the waitress was rather abrupt and rude when we told her that we hadn't ordered chicken! The vegetarian options were extremely limited. The food was distinctly average and sadly, not worth the wait. I would not recommend.

"Excellent Service at a Time of Need"
IanM29, 21 Octobre 2021

Many thanks to the duty manager (sorry I missed your name) on Thursday 21 October who helped us with an ice pack and take away food when my wife fell and badly strained her ankle. The service and the food was excellent and most appreciated! Thank you! Ian and Ann!

"Huge Thank You to Duty Manager"
jamieandscott, 21 Octobre 2021

After arriving on a few days break I unfortunately twisted my ankle. We tried to find a take away in Inveraray and was told that the inn might help. My husband was met by the Duty Manager Thursday 21 October and after explaining about my ankle, offered us a take away and also brought ice pack to the car. Thank you so much for your kindness.

"Very enjoyable"
jennifermA3894PH, 17 Octobre 2021

The best Steak & Ale Pie I've ever had With mash and mixed veg cooked to perfection! Well done. Teriyaki Chicken also very tasty Staff were attentive and friendly and the restaurant was very busy with a good atmosphere. Try the pie! You won't be disappointed.

"Elegant setting and friendly service"
Delphine T, 16 Octobre 2021

Friendly service in an elegant setting. We tried the Haggis and blood sausage bon bons and the Cullen sink for starters and both were quite delicious- definitely meet if not exceed expectations. For mains we opted for the fish and chips and wild mushroom risotto. Both very tasty. The Inverary Inn offers both a dining room as well as a pub setting, and we opted for the quiet elegance of the dining room as the acoustics suited our party better with the tall ceilings. It also has a lovely view onto the Loch. We will visit again!

"Nice hotel with beautiful view of the loch and the highlands"
debmJ9489GQ, 12 Octobre 2021

Quaint hotel with comfortable bed. Good breakfast and restaurant on premises. Nice location with view of the loch. Friendly staff. Parking on premises. Within walking distance of the Inveraray Castle.

"Two Week Scotland Tour"
David W, 08 Octobre 2021

While touring Scotland for two weeks we stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The hotel is centrally located in Inveraray with free parking in front of the hotel for guests. We booked our accommodation on a B&B basis being checked in efficiently by a friendly and helpful receptionist. We needed to booked our breakfast time for each morning and reserved a table in the evening for our evening meal with all the meals being excellent including the breakfast. All the waiting staff both at breakfast and during our evening meal were very friendly and efficient. We had quite a bit of luggage with two heavy suitcases which proved difficult as there's no lift in the building as I understand due to it being a listed building. Our room was located towards the rear of the hotel on the first floor with quite a long walk through several corridors with several short flights of stairs. Things seemed to be working well with the precautions and arrangements relating to Covid. During our stay we had no cause to use our car as both of our planned visits were within easy walking distance with Inveraray Castle entrance being next to the hotel and Inveraray Jail about a 5-minute walk away. The views from the hotel dining room overlooking Loch Fyne are pretty amazing especially if you're given a table by one of the dining room windows.

"Stunning location"
Charles B, 01 Octobre 2021

Excellent food,Excellent staff, Fantastic location and very well maintained , comfortable rooms would highly recommend a visit absolutely gorgeous views where ever you look. Very old quaint building with most off the original features

"Lunch Visit"
SpringBokkie, 01 Octobre 2021

We were a table of 4 for lunch. Must of been the wettest day in September. Every tourist in Inveraray went to The Inverarary Inn for lunch. Our table was in the bar area. We ordered drinks and the waiter told us the kitchen is slow so there was a 30 minute wait for lunch. We didn't mind as it was wet outside. The ladies returned the cappuccino's. The cappuccino's tasted and looked like dirty water. However our soup and sandwiches was delicious. The staff was friendly and the place was spotless clean. We will go back next time we're in the area.

"An excellent place to stay"
malcolmcomerford, 28 Septembre 2021

I really enjoyed my visit the views were great, I had a place to charge my car. The staff were very friendly always happy to have a chat the food was great it is a nice quite place to visit if you want a rest

"Great location and hotel "
lou4406, 25 Septembre 2021

I can't fault with this place, on the drive up to the hotel it looks stunning with views overlooking the water. Staff greet you and are very friendly. There is parking but limited but we got a spot. If you don't there are a few carparks withing spotting distance!. And are free between 6pm and 9am. The room was very clean and spacious and well equipped. The bar area is very welcoming and the evening food was outstanding. Breakfast in the morning......wow! That's all I need to say. Only negative ( it was not an issue for me) was the plumbing, not Great shower pressure and after flushing the toilet there was loud banging for about 30 seconds.....nothing at all to moan about. I would highly recommend this place.

"Birthday treat"
Jeanette H, 24 Septembre 2021

Fabulous location in centre of the town. Lovely scenery and very friendly staff. Clean and tidy. Food was plentiful and enjoyable. Down side is there is no lift and therefore may not be suitable for disabled. Discounts given for Inveraray Castle and the Gaol.

"Wonderful Staff"
greenwoodclark, 18 Septembre 2021

Ourselves and another four friends stayed in the hotel as part of a Covid delayed 60th birthday celebration. We were given the wonderful small conservatory that has fantastic views over the loch and hills for our dinner. Overall the staff were great in terms of friendliness, efficiency & attentiveness, but Margaret stood out, she led our decoration of the conservatory, and was our main waitress for the evening., and was a star. The quality (and quantity), of the food was great and choice of drinks more than sufficient (fyne ales - easy trail was a stand out IPA). The breakfast again provided everything you could ask incl kippers.

"Good value hotel overlooking Loch Fyne. "
Brian F, 13 Septembre 2021

Had a one night B&B package. We were welcomed by a very pleasant girl at reception. Stayed in a double room on the second floor. The room was larger than some that we've stayed in and the ensuite was large and bright, the shower pressure was high which is always a bonus. We had a couple of drinks in the public bar which has a pool table and big screen TV. Belhaven & Tennents are on draught which gets a big thumbs up from me. Breakfast offered a good selection and I liked that you are able to choose as much or as little from the menu as not everyone can eat a big breakfast in the morning. A word to the wise though is that parking is limited so as there wasn't anything at the hotel we parked on Main Street for free which is a 5 minute walk round the corner. All in all we had a very enjoyable stay with no complaints and would highly recommend this hotel for your visit to Inveraray.

"Not a bad place - but it could be better"
628derekh, 09 Septembre 2021

This hotel has a stunning front, with a fabulous location, overlooking Loch Fyne. However - although it does advertise that building regulations do not permit it to have a lift - it is still a bit of a shock when a disabled person tries to ascend the seemingly never-ending spiral staircase. The room we had was small but cosy and the ‘view' of Loch Fyne, which is stunning, can only be enjoyed when standing-up. The lounge bar is quite nice - and offers speedy food. But in the restaurant, which is a bit dull, to be honest, we had to wait 45 minutes before we were served -and the hotel most certainly did not seem to be too busy that night. We were also uninspired by a very limited menu. All things considered, it was way over-priced at £159 per night - although the breakfast we had was extremely tasty and filling. Some of the staff were quite polite but others - whilst not being horrible, in any way - did seem to need some basic lessons in ‘being nice' to their guests.

"Most in professional manager ever"
eamonn o, 06 Septembre 2021

Yes - you know all about this terrible experience and yet you choose to do nothing about it. The manager did not manage the situation that he put his customer in (me) and then when question he refused to apologise or resolve the issue. I was told by a member of his staff that I could park my car across the road only to be accosted By a business owner that I was not allowed to park there as it was private property, the manager came out and told me in front of the owner that I shouldn't have parked there , then when the business owner walked off and I questioned him he told me that it was not a private car park and after a heated exchange with the business owner that they were wrong , poor management of the whole situation and a very unpleasant situation to be put in so I will be Putting a complaint into head office as i am not finished here until I get an apology from the Manager direct ..,,,

"Great dinners"
man0janand, 31 Août 2021

we came here for dinner twice-despite being advised not to by the staff at the hotel we were staying at-The Loch Fyne Hotel-and we were very pleasantly surprised at the quality of our dinners and the very reasonable price along with the very friendly and efficient staff. If you are in the local area, i would recommend this restaurant and do not be influenced or put off by others trying to malign

"Amazing hotel!"
beverleyg480, 30 Août 2021

Absolutely loved everything about this hotel from the beautiful view from the room (possibly the best view from a bathroom we've ever had too!), to the amazing food (including vegan breakfast, pizza, tofu salad plus partner's haggis bon bons, Loch Fyne smoked salmon) and exceptionally friendly staff for whom nothing was too much bother. If the hotel hadn't been fully booked we'd have stayed on for another couple of nights! On our first night we arrived quite late as we'd spent longer than expected climbing The Cobbler and Chef Kerry stayed late to cook for us -very much appreciated thank you! Will definitely be back.

"Entertaining evening"
Lou F, 25 Août 2021

Whilst staying in Inveraray for the night we struggled to find somewhere for dinner-our accommodation gave us several places to try and one of them was the Inveraray Inn. We arrived half an hour early to have a drink first- come the time of our booking we asked if the table was ready and the response was “they were doing their best but there was a delay” we received multiple apologies and eventually shown to our table. The noise by a large table was deafening so we asked if it was possible to eat in the bar area- which was far more pleasant? The staff were amazing and really accommodating- we moved back to the bar area and had a wonderful meal! I can highly recommend for good home cooked food!!

"The Inveraray Inn"
793gibsons, 22 Août 2021

After reading a few negative reviews we were a little worried but the worries were unjustified. If you want 5* city hotel experience then don't come here! If you want a friendly, Scottish hotel in a beautiful setting then do!!! We have already recommended to family.

"Adequate"
ellas_paella, 22 Août 2021

Stayed here as a party of five and a dog, for two nights on a trip around Scotland. The rooms were clean and tidy enough but very basic and one had a slightly bad smell. Dogs aren't allowed in the main restaurant so we were in the pub area, all staff in there were lovely and food options were good and food tasted nice however one member of our group was very poorly in the night after eating the salmon. The main issue for us was the noise level in the rooms. We could hear people snoring loudly in other rooms and our room was right above the road outside which meant that the traffic kept us awake from about 5.30am onwards. Also the rooms were too hot but having the windows open made the traffic noise much worse providing a very bad nights sleep for all of us. Lastly and not a criticism of the hotel itself but just something to note, is that the restaurant options in the town are very limited, especially if you have a dog. However Bramble's Cafe was great for breakfast - dog friendly and veggie options.

"Great Hotel in a great location"
campbellclan2021, 20 Août 2021

Stayed for 1 night in family room which was basic but very clean and tidy. Very friendly staff and overall service was excellent. Ate in the restaurant and food was good quality and reasonably priced. Would definitely stay again.

"Friday night stopover"
Colb666, 13 Août 2021

On arrival the receptionist went way beyond our expectations. Earlier during the week my wife and injured her knee and was now on crutches. The girl on reception without being asked volunteered to swap our booked room upstairs for her room in the lodge on the ground floor. That really made our stay as good as it could possibly be. The room was ideal for us. We had dinner in the hotel that night and the service and food was very very good. All in all the Inveraray Inn was a really good experience for my wife and I. We will certainly be back to the Inveraray Inn when our travels take us that way again.

"No sound proofing between rooms."
295nevilleg, 12 Août 2021

Kept awake between 10.45 pm on 9th August till after 1 am. The rooms have no sound proofing plasterboard. Disturb nights sleep. Emailed reception at 11.31 pm on the night but to date no reply. Karen Anderson Deputy manager said she received it. At 12.30 am I went into reception to voice my concerns to ask why had soundproofing plasterboard not been used? The manager Drew Anderson said he would place a staff member in the room we used and one next door. They would then find they could hold a conversation through the wall. .Management not interested. Best Western Signature Hotel csn you believe. Customer Services in Milan. The freephone number takes you directly to Milan, unbelievable. If your hard of hearing its impossible to extremely difficult to understand them. To date no respfrom Customer Services or the Inveraray Inn. Do not go if you want to sleep. After a 6 hour drive all I wanted was sleep. The following day I went to bed at 4pm. Do not stay not worth it. Poor Management response, poor Best Western Customer Service. Thank god for TripAdvisor. The first negative review I have put on this site.

"Just don't"
shasca251, 12 Août 2021

Public areas of hotel were sparse and shabby, not welcoming at all; place smelled of dust and old smoke. Paid £190 for a Loch view room - laughable, the room was very basic and had obviously been partitioned at some point as window squeezed into corner. Fairground had set up outside hotel, blocking our loch view and this, coupled with boy racers revving engines for at least half an hour as we were trying to sleep just added to the ambience. Breakfast was really not good enough - fruit salad had been lying around so each piece indistinguishable. The young staff were pleasant but this hotel needs serious investment from Best Western. We checked out after one night and got refund for our further two nights.

"Very Nice Food"
Q7148LByvonnet, 07 Août 2021

We dined here a couple of days ago, ate in the restaurant, I had seafood tagliatelle, as did my daughter , it was a little more expensive than the local pub , about £14 I think. I have to say it was absolutely delicious! So much lovely fresh seafood ! My other daughter had Steak and Ale pie which she loved . We dined in the hotel Restaurant and the service was really good, friendly staff and a nice view of the loch. We walked in a couple of days previously and only needed a lighter meal, we were sat in the Public bar and just had the soup of the day, my expectations were low but it was gorgeous .

"Still has local warmth and charm"
Local_Tourist_Derby, 05 Août 2021

A very warm welcome was received. Great levels of customer service. Although a BW hotel this place still retains the charm and hospitality of a local destination. Our room was fresh and clean. Breakfast is a must - very generous and great value. Strongly recommend.

"Disappointing stay."
Troon1308, 04 Août 2021

Paid an extra £30 to upgrade to an Executive room. Total waste of money. Room was at the back of the hotel with no view. Rooms at the front had lovely views of the loch. Bed had winter duvet on it and we were sweltering in the heat. There was a fan in the room but it made no difference to the temperature. If anything it made it worse. There was no hair dryer for my wife and I had to walk down the 2 flights of stairs back to reception to get one. I was told that not all rooms have them. Breakfast in the morning was small portions and poor quality of produce. Cannot fault the staff as they were very helpful. Watch out for the parking as there is very little and many of the cars in the hotel car park were not residents. Parking nearby is £1 per hour from 9am till 6pm. Will not return.

"Clean and Basic"
LixTraveller, 26 Juillet 2021

This was our 2nd night of a week's holiday touring the west coast. As the town is so tiny, it is only 1 of a few options. We booked direct as we got a better rate but felt like we were given a poor room. I requested a room on the ground floor as we brought our dog. Instead we were given a room upstairs through several doors which isn't ideal when you need to do the early morning toilet run. The room was small, basic and clean with a tiny shower. We ate in the bar as it was the only place we could have dinner with the dog. The menu in the beer garden was limited. We paid for b'fast and had to ask specifically to have this outside in the beer garden as there is no where to eat in, this felt like an inconvenience to staff. There is a little cafe to the front of the hotel that appeared closed, this seemed to us like the ideal place to offer b'fast to guests with dogs. 1 x double room BEB with dog, non refundable: £144.00 All in all ok, but wouldn't want to stay more than 1 night.

deborahpT1215TY, 25 Juillet 2021

We had an amazing time at the Inveraray Inn. Room was beautiful, very clean and like a home from home. Staff were so friendly and accommodating and customer service was the best I have experienced in a long time. They are very diligent with track and trace which I have found lacking in other places. I am definitely going back and will be staying there . Also check out their beer garden / restaurant and enjoy .

"Very Disappointed "
Sam M, 18 Juillet 2021

My partner had booked us an overnight for my Birthday, so we had been looking forward to this for a month or so and had paid £179 for a superior room. On arrival we found that the parking was very limited and was a bit like whacky races trying to get a space having to drive round the town several times until we managed to find a space. We checked in around 3pm having had a great start to our trip at the Loch Fyne Oyster Bar, sadly our trip had already peaked although we didn't know it yet. We got up to our room and opened the door to lovely room with a 4 poster bed and beautiful view of the Loch. However the room was like a sauna, we looked around the room for some AC, however soon realised that they had provided us with a small desk fan to cool the room. So we headed out in the hope that having the windows open full and the fan on that the situation would improve. We headed down to the beer garden, which was a nice setting in the sun. The service in both the beer garden and the lounge bar however left a lot to be desired, had to ask several times for an Ash tray took probably 40 mins to get said Ash tray, after a few in the garden, headed into the Lounge bar had a drink only to then sit for a good 20mins with empty glasses before giving up trying to get the 2 staffs attention to get another and headed back up stairs to the the sauna we called our room. All in all felt like a bit of an inconvenience to the staff, couldn't even relax on the room as it was so hot. Wouldn't go back, never asked once by anyone how our stay had been or made to feel at all like a valued customer. Not worth the price, service felt like a budget hotel. Very stingy with the room amenities as well, giving us 2 biscuits between 2 adults. Very disappointed, there are nicer hotels in the town, who would rather have your money. I wouldn't recommend unless you got a room for £50

"Expected More"
karenpEdinburgh, 14 Juillet 2021

Now, I love Inveraray, it's a beautiful little town. On approaching this hotel it looks really nice, and there's not that much wrong with it but I just didn't think it was very good. It's in a lovely position overlooking the water and looks well maintained from the outside. When we stepped inside I noticed it was quite basic looking, but we checked in (receptionist was very nice and friendly) and went up to our second floor room. There is no lift in this hotel and the stairs are in spiral fashion and very squeaky, but we are fit so not a problem for us but may be for not so young folk. On entering the room, it was very clean and basic but I have to say the bathroom left a lot to be desired, it was extremely basic and reminded me of a hospital bathroom. The door opened into the bathroom and you couldn't open it properly as it would bang into the toilet! There was no hairdryer in the room either so I had to request one from reception. The other odd thing was the kettle, tea/coffee stuff was all wrapped in plastic. We've stayed at numerous places during lockdown and this has been the only place doing this - not great for the planet and not entirely sure it is necessary. I had also asked for a quiet room, however, it appears there is absolutely no sound proofing in this hotel - I heard someone next door snore all night, there is traffic literally driving past the window and you can hear next door showering, flicking switches, phones vibrating etc. and to top it all off, there is no blackout curtain or blind in the room so you are awoken at 5am with the light coming in, We stayed at Brambles last year, paid a good bit less and it was in a completely different class to the Inveraray Inn. So no, I wouldn't stay again unless I got a complete bargain price.

Good to get back to Inveraray - Great base for a visit to the area lots of things to do and Wildlife to see We saw Seals and Ospreys on walks nearby Food was great. We hope to be back again this year Great service form the staff.

"Mutton dressed as lamb"
B8277HUdavidw, 09 Juillet 2021

There is insufficient parking at the hotel, and it may be necessary to use adjacent council carpark, which is not free. The room had a kettle, but no minibar. Take a freezer box. The walk-in shower was extremely slippy. There was a small rubber mat stuffed behind the toilet, which I declined to use. The breakfast was inedible, better to use the supermarket nextdoor which sells a range of breakfast rolls. Disappointed to overhear 2 members of staff in conversation, mocking their customers. Overall, this hotel seems to operate for the benefit of some of its employees, with little regard to their paying guests.

"Lovely hotel, don't stay if you actually want to get some sleep"
Emma P, 04 Juillet 2021

Lovely and clean room, very friendly and helpful staff. Great space outside to have a drink and watch sports on the tvs. Breakfast was okay, below the standard i was expecting due to the rest of the hotel. However the only real downside of my stay was that I couldn't fall asleep due to the large group of 'boy racers' parked outside the hotel below my bedroom window for around an hour at 1am. They were really loud had there cars running and were shouting and laughing. After around half an hour of waiting to see if they would leave and of keeping my young dog awake and really unsettling him I went down to the reception to complain. The girl there was really friendly and helpful and said she'd take a look and speak to the manager, however i found out after she went out herself which i didn't expect her to do due to it being a large group of people outside. After this they left and i finally managed to get some sleep.

"Good place for lunch."
Charles J, 02 Juillet 2021

We had an outside lunch on a very lovely day. Service was good…everyone friendly. We had the seafood platter for two which was generous and very well priced. I would recommend trying the outside area if you are lucky enough to be there on a fine day. We would happily go back…though now I want to try their main restaurant!

"Dinner"
AKennedy67, 23 Juin 2021

We stopped by for a quick dinner and our usual favourite The George was full so we decided to try here. Last time we were in it was quite a tired hotel but we were so impressed with the changes. We initially received quite a cold service from the two waitresses we dealt with however the food was absolutely delightful which more than made up for it! Will definitely pop in and recommend to others!

"THANK YOU"
naughtybear, 10 Juin 2021

We stayed here in 2016 and being honest it was poor. However we heard of a revamp and saw v good reviews so we gave it a second chance and wow what a turnaround. Rooms fresh clean, good amenities and a wonderful Loch View we never closed our room windows all the two nights. Staff amazing checked in by Rachael and a big thank you to her, Mhari and Elena for multiple changes to dates through covid. Lovely food as well. Many thanks for two gorgeous nights 8th to 10th June.

"Inveraray Inn"
sheba2021, 07 Juin 2021

Situated in a great location overlooking Loch Fyne, this historic Inn is placed ideally for a stopover if travelling between Loch Lomond and Oban. Although the restaurant wasn't open, the food in the Bar was excellent and plentiful. The Sticky Toffee pudding was amazing.

"Short break"
Alexbhoy, 06 Juin 2021

No complaints at all about our stay at this hotel. Stayed on a bed and breakfast basis and enjoyed a lovely large room on the top floor with a view of the loch. Hotel is an old building which doesn't have a lift, but quite modern and well furnished.Food served in the lounge/bar was really good. Breakfast in the dining room was good as well.Staff were all friendly and helpful. Inveraray is a lovely little village and good for a relaxing break.

"Lovely place for a weekend away"

Inveraray is a lovely friendly little place for a weekend away. Everything for a relaxing stay is right on your doorstep. The staff at The Inverary Inn are friendly and welcoming, the food is excellent and the portions large.

"Dinner and overnight"

Great food in the restaurant. Had chefs special which was really good. Then adjourned to watch the European Cup final in the outside area an event made more special by the waitress Kanisha who was both good fun and efficient. A very enjoyable stay

"Good and bad"
escothesa, 22 Mai 2021

Stayed here in May . We paid 125 pounds room only ....breakfast was extra at 10 pounds per person. Room was very clean and great shower room but have to say was disappointed not to get the room serviced during the time we were there ....made up bed ourselves , no clean towels or hospitality tray filled (unless we asked). I know this is due to covid . Therefore should the room rates have not reflected the lack of amenities? The rooms desperately need black out blinds , we were woken every morning at 5 am because of the daylight coming through the skimpy window blind . The food at the hotel is very good and the staff are friendly, however we probably won't return as I felt for what we got it was way too pricey

"Inveraray Inn"
luv2ski0, 02 Mai 2021

Only a short drive from Glasgow , beautiful picturesque views on the drive past Loch Lomond . On arrival staff very welcoming Explained dog welcome but not in main public areas bar etc Lovely beer garden with covered canopy with gas heaters for dog families Food on night 2 was exceptional . Staff member Margaret was very helpful , we chose to eat in our room with puppy . And Margaret made every effort to accommodate As was Karen at breakfast The room for 3&dog was very clean, huge bed and stunning views ( rm 207) Very COVID friendly . Masks . Sanitiser . Etc Thank you Inverary inn See Pics of food below

"Nice hotel "
gerryvdb, 22 Novembre 2020

I stayed here for work and it was a pleasant stay, the room was at the back of the hotel which was nice and quiet, my colleague was at the front of the hotel and he had a poor night sleep due to road noise throughout the night. My evening meal was absolutely fantastic and such a treat having a pint with it. The breakfast again was outstanding. The room was clean and all the amenities were in plastic bags so you know they were covid cleaned. The shower was good and I loved the shower gel so much I've ordered some from the company. The only reason for 4 * was the mattress, it felt a bit dated maybe it was just me as I prefer a firmer mattress but this one felt like the springs have had been well used. With all that said I would definitely stay again

"Good Standard hotel,No alcohol apart from in your room."
Roger W, 27 Octobre 2020

Good standard hotel throughout .. clean room good bed and shower nicely decorated. Nice breakfast and pleasant breakfast staff. Free Parking right outside hotel. Only critismism was that due to the Covid restrictions the hotel have decided to not serve alcohol at all ( apart from to your room ) this I really thought was poor . Several other hotels I have noticed have made the effort of providing a marque or shelter where customers can enjoy a socially distant drink.i want to continue staying with and supporting the hospitality sector during this crisis.but feel that if a hotel is unable to adapt to the situation and chooses to effectively close the bar they should perhaps reduce the cost of accomodation to reflect that the service is not available. We ended up using another hotel in Inveraray for evening drinks which did provide the above service.

"Lovely engagement weekend"
Wildwayround, 14 Octobre 2020

We had a lovely weekend in Inveraray and Loch Awe when we stayed here. My partner proposed to me and when we came back I mentioned it in passing to the night time staff. When we got back to our room there was a bottle of fizz and a congratulations card. We wanted to express our gratitude. It's really these simple and lovely gestures that make a place so memorable. We will be back!

"Quick October break"
fredh133, 13 Octobre 2020

The hotel car park at the front was full when we arrived on the Sunday but we found a space round the side beside the bar entrance. I was able to move the car round to the front later that day. We booked and got a lochside view. The room was ok, clean and easy to find. There is no lift in this hotel (we were told it's because it's a listed building) so the stairs could be challenging for some. The view was fantastic though the windows are a bit on the small side. We found the rooms very warm and a bit stuffy though it was a difficult choice to leave the window open at night due to the noise of the traffic on the main road outside. Not a huge amount of traffic but you can clearly hear vehicles going past (even with the windows closed). We only stayed 2 nights and ate both nights there. The food was pretty good for both dinner and breakfast and the service was excellent too. Due to the current Covid restrictions we were unable to drink alcohol with our meals at night and after in the bar area which was very surreal resulting in a lack of people and atmosphere. There's not a huge amount to do in Inveraray. We did find a bar within an open beer garden area. We visited Inveraray Castle and had a woodland walk. There's also a pebbly beach area at the loch's edge. I would recommend the Inn as a place to stay. Whenever an issue arose the staff dealt with it efficiently .

"Last minute"
brianhood1, 12 Octobre 2020

When we arrived in Inveraray we decided to stay the night in the hotel very last minute impromptu decision , well sitting in a beer garden with the sun shining helped make the decision easier having booked it we weren't expecting too much from it but we were pleasantly surprised by the hotel , the rooms basic but got everything you needed good tv Netflix tea coffee and the room was spotless couldn't fault it and for what we paid to wake up to a view like we did wow never tire of looking over the water included in the price was a beautiful breakfast food and service was great Checking out was done in seconds We will definitely be back as a frequent visitor to the area a great find Well done in these tough times

"Comfy room with excellent food "
lizza5776, 04 Octobre 2020

We have just returned from a 4-night motorbike tour of the West Coast, spending our first two nights here. Lovely large comfortable standard double room (207) overlooking the Loch, located on quite a busy road junction but traffic noise was not a problem at all. COVID measures all in place throughout the hotel but nothing too much of a problem for any of the staff. Ate in hotel for both nights and a lovely menu selection and the food was exceptional. Breakfast was plentiful and a free choice of options, and we even shared the dining room with Joanna Lumley!! We will be back next year (if you will have us)!

"Lovely"
Georgie B, 04 Octobre 2020

Stayed here with husband from Friday to Monday 18th-21st September. Friendly check in with all COVID requirements applied to in hotel.(felt very safe). We had a 2nd floor room looking onto the lovely views of the Loch which was magical at night staring up to the stars. Room/bathroom was clean and comfortable with tea/coffee making facilities, only one packet of biscuit left in tray which I thought was a bit tight for a double room with 2 guests however, (reception did advise if we needed anything to ask, didn't bother over a biscuit)! Room was a little noisy with road traffic as we had to keep the window open due to the weather but it didn't bother us. Breakfast was plentiful with a good choice on menu albeit the plates and food could have been slightly warmer, breakfast was served by allocated time slots due to COVID restrictions, staff where excellent, friendly and efficient. Only ate in the hotels restaurant once, ordered Pizza which was absolutely delicious. The weather whilst staying was phenomenal, glorious blue skies and sunshine. Climbed Dun Na Cuaiche Hill, views where astounding, well worth the climb, Inveraray is a pretty little town with a few shops, restaurants & lots of bikers stopping on the shore front. Would stay in this establishment again for a short break away.

"Fantastic Family Friendly 2 Night Mini Break"
ScottyStewy, 03 Octobre 2020

We had a fantastic 2 nights at the hotel - staff couldn't have been friendlier - super generous portions for dinner and breakfast. As a family of 5 and a dog we had a clean and comfy room to accommodate us all and nothing was too much trouble. Inveraray is a stunning spot - we walked up to the top of the look out above the castle, went swimming in the loch outside, got an incredible rib ride to see the whirl pool and seals - even had a swim, toured the jail and walked all over the small quaint town - stopping for ice-creams and G&Ts! So much to do and see if you fancy a few days break away. Highly recommend it and will be back!

"Stunning location"
holstenthecat, 28 Septembre 2020

Stayed four nights in a front of hotel room overlooking the loch, which is just stunning. The road overnight can be busy as it is a main thoroughfare for lorries, guessing it coincides with the ferries from Campbelltown, windows single glazed but to be fair only really kept us awake for part of one night. Room clean, shower excellent, heating worked when needed. £10 per dog supplement proved a little steep over four nights perhaps a deposit basis could be considered given the dogs are only allowed in the public bar at the back of the hotel. Breakfasts decent, staff in the bar amazing as only two of them working their socks off, evening meal food very good. Overall a very good location, basic functional room with a view that is breathtaking.

lovely hotel our room was clean unfortunately our friends room the legs were broken on the couch. The food was lovely but would of liked a little more choice maybe some steaks. the staff were amazing especially the deputy manager and the 2 waitresses in the bar and restaurant. the hotel is dog friendly but unfortunately there is not a lounge to sit in dogs were not allowed in the front bar only the back bar and this does not have the view of the loch. maybe they should let dogs in the conservatory so guests can enjoy the view with their dogs. love place , very friendly and covid safe.

the wife and i booked a wee over nighter here...first time staying in Inveraray, been in it loads but never stayed...hotel was fine nice and clean the hotel could be doing with a few more sanitising stations in the corridors etc.....room was clean and modern....apart from finding an almost full open packet of cigarettes in one or the drawers....bar nice and cheap dinner was great it does fill up quite fast so get a table and stay at it as there is no option to book...breakfast was plenty full and the haggis was delicious.....

"Would have gave it a better rating if ut wasnt fir front of house Receptionist Vhairi"
Logger12345, 24 Septembre 2020

We were so looking forward to this break for our wedding anniversary and my birthday in these terrible times but it came to a sad ending 1st morning we were wakened by a woman banging and kicking our bedroom door at around 3am but by the time we got up opened door the women was actually in room next to us which was abruptly slammed closed. When we went down next day we were confronted by a very rude receptionist " Vhairi" accusing us of the noise which we tried to explain but she wasn't interested she was judge and jury and spoke to us very unprofessionally, basically because we didn't complain we were the culprits, the room next to us had got up and checked out and getting complaints from other guest receptionist " Vhairi took it upon herself to be a cheeky, rude, unprofessional woman who needs to take a course on people skills and hygiene as for being front of house it's not what u want for your guests, not once did she say good morning or ask us on checkout about our stay she was very dry and in my opinion needed a good wash with her dirty greasy straggly hair. I'm give this hotel 3* because the duty manager and other staff were brilliant and we told them about there colleague and were disappointed about her actions against us and tried to make the rest of our stay more bearable due to the circumstances. We wont ever return to this hotel we have been to many places all over the world and I can honestly say Vhairi your needing to get a new job which would suit you better maybe out of hospitality because u dont have a hospitable bone in your body. Congratulations Vhairi you ruined our much need mini break , hope your happy with yourself .

"Excellent"
Jillym59, 17 Septembre 2020

Just spent 2 nights here and the room was excellent. Staff very friendly and Covid restrictions followed to the letter. Dined here both nights and the food was really good, if you are in Inveraray give it a try you wont be disappointed. Breakfast on our first day was excellent, breakfast this morning was a big disappointment, obviously not cooked by the same person, hence my reason for not scoring a 5.

"Stunning Location"
alba47, 14 Septembre 2020

Booked two nights away for myself and elderly mother who had not been out since start of lockdown . although this is a very old Inn the rooms are modern , well maintained and very comfortable . Be aware that this hotel has no lift and the access is via a spiral staircase . I requested a loch view and we were given one and what a view from Room 104. Bathroom looed like it had recently been upgraded and the towels were big and fluffy. We ate in the dining room , same menau as in the bar . Food is actually fairly standard bar meal menu but is very good quality and plenty of it . Not sure if menu in main dining room was different prior to Covid 19 restrictions . Staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Hotel is a five minute walk from main street and attractions . Inverary is well worth the visit and if you go stay at the Inn

"Great location"
Brian R, 01 Septembre 2020

Having just returned from a 2night break at the Inverary Inn which couldn't be in a better location right on the front with fantastic views over the loch. On arrival we were checked in nice and quick and only had a ten min wait for our room being ready as due to covd-19 everything had changed slightly which the hotel does a great job the way everything is set out, and the staff are so plesent and can't do enough for you,the food was good and breakfast was fine overall great value for money and would return. Just one last thing to all the staff you do a fantastic job in these trying times keep up the great work.

"Comfortable, clean and cosy"
956gracee, 31 Août 2020

We had a lovely stay at the Inveraray Inn on our trip to Scotland. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helped us with any question we had. We have a lovely dinner at the Inn's bar which was tasty and fairly priced. The views of the loch from our room were gorgeous! The room was well sized, clean and very comfortable. We were travelling with our family dog and they were very welcoming to her too. It was a lovely spot that we would definitely go back to if we were every in that area again.

"Very pleasant stay."
AngelinaWakefield, 28 Août 2020

Stayed one night B&B... easy parking front of the hotel. Efficient check in, very clean bright decor room, good walk in shower ( i have a thing about showers! Hate the clamber over the bath types) very comfortable bed and pillows. The breakfast was really nice, well cooked hot and good quality food, the staff seemed a bit stressed trying to keep things turned around as guests are allocated a time slot. We had drinks in the bar but didn't have food so cant comment on that. The Castle, and Jail museum are close by visited both of them. Lovely little village feel well worth a visit.

"Wonderful Summer Staycation"
774fionar, 25 Août 2020

We enjoyed a fantastic two night break here and would have stayed for longer had we not booked so late. The hotel provided a wonderful base from which to explore the local area - we had a room with a view over the Loch, and enjoyed delicious meals with friendly service for breakfast & dinner, and some relaxing drinks in the bar. A special mention to Margaret & Karen who went out of their way to look after us, but all the staff were great. Highlights of our stay were a visit to the Jail and a walk to the high point via the castle whereby you can look back over the town and feel you've earnt your lunch upon return. A five star trip!

"Family and Friends Two Day Break"
petefirutherford, 21 Août 2020

Two night stay with family and friends at this gem of a hotel. Very comfortable rooms, generous food portions and delightful staff. We were very lucky with the weather and even had a swim in the loch directly in front of the hotel (surprisingly warm!). Inveraray is a great location to explore the wider local area which is breathtakingly beautiful. Would highly recommend a meal in the hotel and a drink or two in the hotel bar which has a lovely atmosphere after a day of exploring. Excellent with children. Will certainly be back.

"Fabulous Hotel"

Stayed here a few times and have never been disappointed. Lovely hotel with amazing views. The staff are very cheery and are always helpful. I am returning in October for another stay and i am sure I won't be disappointed. The rooms have been upgraded to a great standard with modern bathrooms etc.

"Inveraray lovely in the sunshine and the rain."
Lindy28, 12 Août 2020

Stayed here for two nights. Hotel well organised with sanitisers in all public areas. Tables in dinning room well spaced out. Rooms clean, tea making facilities in sealed plastic bags. Breakfast was table service, lovely full Scottish breakfast. Dinner menu was very good, prawn and crayfish cocktail is huge. We went out for the day returning to the hotel around 3.30pm, we went into the bar, we thought we would have coffee and a cake or scone, didn't want too much as dinner was booked for 7pm, were told they would not be serving food until 6pm! I was disappointed that there wasn't even shortbread with the coffee! I was given lovely homemade shortbread with my desert, why couldn't there be some available with coffee in the afternoon?

"Lovely hotel"
beez60, 06 Août 2020

My wife and I stayed here to celebrate my birthday. We were a bit dubious as this was our first break since lockdown.First impression of the hotel says that its in need of refurbishment, but once inside your opinion changes.Reception staff were very efficient. Our room was on second floor which was fine when your fit, would suggest room on 1st floor if your elderly on unfit as there is no lift. Our room was amzing, overlooking the loch. All furnishings looked brand new.Things such as kettle ,cups, glasses were all sealed in cellophane. We were there B&B with dinner on firts night.Dinner was amazing and plenty of choices.Breakfast was equally as good with excellent quality of food.Overall I would highlly recommend this hotel.

"Nice staff just okay food"
PaverPete, 05 Août 2020

We ate here recently the staff were very friendly but the food was mediocre The scampi was like a 70s meal came in a basket, neither was very tasty The pizza was okay but covered in rocket Would I return? Yes for a cheap ish bar meal.

"Disappointing"
curfewgull2014, 01 Août 2020

We paid £140 room only per night for what turned out to be a pretty basic room. No finer touches or real attention to customer detail or comfort. Water ring marks on the furniture, drawers that wouldn't open properly, drab brown carpet, and only one biscuit on the tea tray. No drinking water. Bathroom very basic and no hot water for a shower on one of the two days we stayed. Bed not made up and towels not changed on the 2nd day. Were told due to Covid. Fair enough, but this could have been explained on check-in. All in all a disappointing choice. The only saving grace was the fantastic view. Wish we'd booked elsewhere.

"Pleasant stay. Will definitely return"
menifin78, 23 Juillet 2020

The Inverary Inn is a lovely place to stay and I will definitely return. Reception and bar staff were excellent but the younger, breakfast staff were a bit clueless and did not tell us the options available for breakfast. Also would be nice to provide a hairdryer in the room. Overall great stay

"Superb lunch "
SweetLady2u2, 20 Juillet 2020

Called in today for lunch and it was gorgeous. Great quality food and fantastic service.Generous portions and reasonably priced. Highly recommend a visit for lunch. Car park just around the corner. So very handy.

"Good food but little atmosphere in the bar"
DerekParsons, 17 Juillet 2020

We ate here the first week that lockdown was eased and unfortunately the restaurant was still closed so we had the eat in the bar. This was despite the fact that when I booked the week before I was asked if I wanted the bar or restaurant - they didn't even have a record of my booking. The food was very good but the ambience in the bar wasn't very good.

"Excellent Experience"

Couldn't fault anything about the stay at the Inveraray Inn. Room clean, comfy bed, great food and very accommodating for dogs. Will definitely be back to stay again when everything gets back to normal.

"Two night break"
Geo110, 17 Mars 2020

We went to the Inveraray inn for a short two night break on a Groupon voucher.I have to say this was fantastic value for money. The room was very clean with fantastic views. The food at dinner was some of the best we have had at any hotel we have stayed at.The staff were friendly and helpful overall a very good experience. We hope to return sometime soon

"Lovely hotel in a beautiful setting"
JHPHOTO, 03 Mars 2020

We booked a 2 night Groupon stay at the Inveraray Inn - this included bed and breakfast + Dinner on both night (a bottle of wine was also included in the deal). This was tremendous value for money and we were not disappointed. The staff were very friendly and courteous - the room was excellent with a beautiful view over Loch Fyne and most of all the food was excellent - good selection on the Dinner menu and breakfast was excellent too. I would thoroughly recommend this Hotel. We had our dog with us, and although she was only allowed in the room and the Bar, this was not a problem.

"Not really dog friendly"
autumnScotlandUk1, 01 Mars 2020

Not really dog friendly In a lovely location and places around where dog friendly Hotel was clean and bar staff was nice. Very reasonable priced for drinks Dinner was lovely and lots of choice for vegetarians

"Looking forward to returning"

Just returned from a 2 night stay at inverary inn. From check in to check out everything was faultless. Room was spotless and very comfortable. Had breakfast and dinner both days , it was gorgeous. All of the staff where attentive without being intrusive. Looking forward to returning

"Winter Stay"
Philip W, 22 Février 2020

We found the Inveraray Inn to be an excellent place to have a winter break. The rooms were warm at all times and kept very clean and tidy with frequent fresh towels. All the meals we had in the restaurant were excellent and there was a varied menu with plenty of fish dishes. The staff were all pleasant and attentive to our needs and seemed to enjoy working at the hotel. This was our second visit and we will definitely consider visiting again as the area has lots to offer.

"Enjoyable stay in a great location."
owenie1, 17 Février 2020

This was our 2nd visit to Inverary but first stay in the Inverary Inn. We were pleased with our room and our view over Loch Fyne. Dinner in the Inn was of very good quality and fantastic value. We felt totally relaxed during our stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone considering visiting the area.

"Lovely Hotel to spend a few days away"
johndeans2019, 17 Février 2020

Just back from lovely 5 day stay at the Inverary Inn. The Inn is clean and has recently undergone a redecorating and renovation plan. The staff extremely friendly and cannot do enough for you. The Food is excellent. The rooms although compact contain all you need to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable. Great value for money. The views from the Hotel are amazing to. Have been before and will be back.

"Great night away"
ADDod, 16 Février 2020

Booked a night away in Inveraray, and had a great time. Clean and comfortable room, delicious food, good value for money and a great location for walking. There was also a fab selection of restaurants/bars within the hotel. Staff were friendly and attentive. Would be glad to return again.

"Beautiful little place"
Lgillan, 29 Janvier 2020

This beautiful hotel was absolutly amazing we arrived late on Sunday night as part of a dbb rate luckily the restaurant was opened until 9pm, we then had dinner service was quick and efficient, food was amazing. Retired to our room and woke up for breakfast. finished at 9:30am on a Monday slightly early for us but most hotels will be around the same. Breakfast was served quickly with a pot of tea and some toast. The breakfast room looked onto the loch and it was just the most beautiful view I've ever had while eating breakfast! Went a walk outside and your right on the water the castle closed now but opens in April is across to your left, small petrol station through the arch at the side of the building, war memorial statue across the road and just a gorgeous wee town down to the right! would highly recommend here, from food to staff to location this place is perfect thank you inveraray inn wee will be back :)

"Perfect Break"
801scottt, 28 Janvier 2020

Booked a 3 night break for me my girlfriend and our new baby boy. We were given a very warm welcome on arrival and directed to our room. Our room had a wonderful view across the loch, it was a double room with a large shower room and was ample size for the three of us. Very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable so could only blame the wee guy for any lack of sleep. We ate dinner all three nights at the hotel (plenty options on the menu) and the food was incredible, i had the lemon sole special one evening and have no hesitation in saying its one of the best fish dishes i have ever had. We'd also like to say a huge thank you to all the staff who were so friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. We will definitely be heading back for another break and wouldn't hesitate to encourage others to do the same

"Lovely Stay"
Ecosse2014, 17 Janvier 2020

Stayed here for 1 night for my birthday. Hotel was clean and comfortable though the donwstairs bar was particularly warm. Staff were friendly and the location was good - decent views from the rooms too.

"Disappointing Customer Service."
Nigellosmith, 05 Janvier 2020

We've stayed here before and there's no doubting it's a decent hotel in a totally beautiful setting. However... On this occasion my wife and son (11) were spending a night here to round off the Xmas holiday. At one point my wife ordered some chips from the bar - they were 70p and because they have a minimum £10 limit on card payments (yeah, in 2020) my wife said they should add the 70p to the restaurant bill which that would be paying for later. All well and good? No. On checking out my wife was told there was an outstanding balance of 70p!!! It hadn't been added to the restaurant bill after all and, because they wouldn't allow her to pay by card, she was forced to go into the town with our son in tow to lift cash to pay the outstanding 70p bill. Our son has ASD and really doesn't deal well with this kind of thing. So, in closing, I'd like to remind the management that it's possible to do immense harm to your reputation over a 70 pence payment. I'm fairly certain an empowered employee with some personal skills seeing a mum on her own with a child would have found another way.

"Cosy, clean, friendly, good food and service"
mjw1306, 01 Janvier 2020

We stayed at the Inn over Hogmanay. The food was excellent, the staff attentive, and the rooms cosy and clean. The Inn is situated in a magical spot overlooking Loch Fyne. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be back.

"Awesome "
Jon B, 27 Décembre 2019

We called for some food mid afternoon on 27th December with our 2 dogs, my wife had soup of the day and steak pie, I had Cullen Skink and the starter sized mussels and then the trio of local seafood, everything was fantastic. Highly recommended

"Good loch view"
norfolknic, 15 Novembre 2019

Stayed for a couple of nights towards the end of our tour of Scotland. We had a large room with a lovely loch view. As we were early checking in we went to the bar for a glass of wine. Directed to the public bar which was not as nice as food being served in lounge bar. We ate one evening in the restaurant and one in the conservatory. Neither were very busy which was a shame as the food was good. Perhaps they could make better use of the restaurant rather than just the bars. Breakfast was good. Average stay but liked Inverary.

"Lovely Hotel in a Lovely Town"
Ruphue, 08 Novembre 2019

We arrived in Inveraray midday for a one night stay. If we are ever able to go back, and we hope to, we will stay at the Inveraray Inn again. Our room was on the small side (we had one carry on suitcase and one slightly larger, and finding a spot for both was a challenge) but there are larger rooms available. We had a double on the first floor, with beautiful views of Loch Fyne. The room was very clean and quiet. We had time to walk around the town, which we loved, and up to the castle (for a look, not a tour) before it got dark. We made dinner reservation when we reserved the room, and I would recommend doing that. Dinner was very good, as was the breakfast the next morning. The staff, particularly the young woman at the front desk, were all very pleasant and helpful.

"Scottish Adventure "
485jillianm, 03 Novembre 2019

Had the most amazing meal here at the end of our Scottish Adventure . Food was delicious . Freshly cooked and reasonably priced . Location stunning . The wonderful staff couldn't do enough to make sure we had a lovely dinner . We definitely want to stay here next time as it was fully booked for the dates we needed .

"Good hotel amazing view"
efratirenag, 25 Octobre 2019

We stayed one night in the hotel and loved it. The room was clean, the view of a loch from the room was amazing. The bed was comfortable, good breakfast. They have smart tv, tea facilities and everything you need.

"WOnderful lunch at the Inn"
cmoll, 25 Octobre 2019

My group had a pre arranged lunch at this Inn and it was just great! The service was so nice and the servers so kind and friendly and the food was absolutely delicious! The entire experience was so nice and I appreciated the nice way my group was treated by the staff there. I very much also appreciated the food!

"Lovely hotel in lovely location"
Dane L, 20 Octobre 2019

Spent three nights in hotel - very comfortable bed and well-decorated room. Dinners in dining room were great - goo service and quiet. Wine offer was a bonus! Breakfasts good. Overall, a nice hotel which is worth using if in the area.

"Delightfully comfortable sympathetically refurbished hotel"
davidjjhall1, 17 Octobre 2019

This delightfully refurbished Hotel and Bar exuded warmth and comfort. Our two night stay was highlighted by the wonderful staff that we felt could not do enough to make our stay first class. We stayed for dinner, bed and breakfast and the menu choices were more than adequate for our stay and all meals were delicious. If we can find an excuse to travel in this direction again, we would have no qualms in staying at The Inveraray Inn again.

"Nice place, good food"
Norbert M, 09 Octobre 2019

A pleasant place to stay, good and affordable food, friendly service, genuinely Scottish atmosphere.. A particularly beautiful large conservatory with a wonderful view to the sea and the hills across the bay. We loved it a lot.

"2 day stay in Inveraray"
Neil A, 08 Octobre 2019

great hotel all newly refurbished , room had loch view with plenty of space , breakfasts really good we did not eat in the hotel as the bar area was a bit too bright , lacking atmosphere with no choice of decent beer . I feel this is a missed opportunity for the Inveraray Inn as the place we went to eat which had the old world charm , atmosphere and decent beer the George just up the road is always very busy . Be a bit more like the George and more people would drink and eat at the Inveraray Inn . However as a place to stay I would highly recommend it . The road on the front is a bit noisy so best to keep the windows shut

"OK, but better choices in town."
intervale, 01 Octobre 2019

Booked through Priceline and paid considerably more than TA's advised rates, possibly because we were allocated a 2nd floor room, without a loch view, but with a king size four poster bed. There is no lift, apparently due to planning restrictions on a listed building, neither is there a porter service so carrying two suitcases up two floors on the circular staircase was a real workout. The en suite room was fine but the bar and restaurant service finishes fairly early so we had dinner elsewhere. Although listed as being included, breakfast has to be prebooked and paid for, so again ate elsewhere. Finally parking spaces in front of the hotel are extremely limited in number. Whilst not totally negative we would not stay here again as there are several better choices in the immediate neighborhood.

"A shame there wasn't a lift"
sjascanlon, 30 Septembre 2019

I understand an old building like this needs to be kept original but a lift would have been good. @ heavy suitcases to take up 2 floors. We were asked if we needed help which was good but you don't like to ask others to haul them up stairs. The view was wonderful and the room was quiet. There was a great bathroom and the rooms were clean. The breakfast suited us well as you could help yourself to as much or as little of a great cooked and continental breakfast that you wanted. The receptionist was really lovely and helpful. I would stay there again but take a smaller bag into the hotel and leave the suitcase in the car

"Nice location"
airehamer, 30 Septembre 2019

This hotel is nicely situated on the Loch and very comfortable. Pity about the stairs, there is no lift. We were offered that they would carry our bags but as it was only the first floor I decided to carry. The stairs went on and on being a circular staircase. Next time I'll take them up on their offer. I would suggest for a hotel of this standard they replace the basic plastic toilet seat with a more substantial one. On a positive note, the cooked breakfast was lovely. Freshly cooked and regularly updated, no standing under hot lamps here. I would certainly return.

"Restaurant and bar"
Hard_to_please2014, 30 Septembre 2019

Having found the restaurant at the hotel where we were resident to be disappointing we tried The Inverary Inn. 'Wee Karen' was more than happy to accommodate us in the empty restaurant despite everyone else being in the bar which was full. The staff were all very friendly and the food was hearty (the portions are large). We were already booked elsewhere for the next couple of nights but decided to sample the bar food a few days later. Again the food was good. The steak and ale pie contained good tender meat with no fat or gristle. Two things make me give a four star rating instead of five: the barman's shirt was so creased he looked as if he had slept in it and I was served J2O which tasted odd and turned out to be past its sell by date by two months. We would, however, give the place a second chance as the food was fine and the staff very hospitable.

"Pleasant lunch"
martin p, 24 Septembre 2019

It was a bit cool and rainy so we dropped in for a warm lunch at the inn. Cullen Skink and sandwiches of smoked salmon was ordered and delivered quite quickly. I cant complain for the price, i found the soup very flavoursome with smoked Haddock, sandwiches were fine and the service friendly. Overall a good experience.

"Disappointing lunch"
Helena R, 22 Septembre 2019

The Inveraray Inn always looks so nice when you pass through the town, we stopped here for lunch with friends when travelling home to Glasgow. It was only lunch we wanted, so some had soups and others sandwiches. My husband had Cullen Skink which was a bit of a let down, no pieces of fish or much flavour, especially when so near to Loch Fyne. I had an egg mayonnaise sandwich, which was so unappetising, with large chunks of egg white the size of ten pence pieces, and loads of mayonnaise. I feel a bit of a moaner complaining about a sandwich, but honestly who can't make an egg mayo sandwich? Don't think we would be tempted back.

"Lunch on the waterfront"
247fsc, 14 Septembre 2019

We enjoyed a relaxing lunch on the glassed in area at the front of the inn. It was a very rainy day so it was great to see the waterfront and stay dry. The food was good and I would have rated 5 star if the service had been a little quicker. Overall, we were happy.

"Love this place "
JanD3886, 08 Septembre 2019

Was our 5th visit to this lovely hotel . Food was great and we even had a great night in the attached pub . People so friendly and place was spotless. There is something about Inverary that just makes you want to keep going back.

"Lovely"
kaznmark, 05 Septembre 2019

We stayed here for two nights. We had previously seen the hotel while driving through inveraray the year before and decided to stay this year. We were not disappointed. Lovely old building which has recently been renovated. Rooms were clean and well decorated. There is only a spiral staircase to the upper rooms no lift due to the age of the building but we soon got used to them and the hotel does mention this on the website, ground floor rooms are available. Good food, great service what more do you need.

"Great Location"
Riverhill, 31 Août 2019

Good, comfortable, clean hotel with a great view of the Loch and hills at the bottom of the main street. A lovely hotel with good restaurant and bar meals, good value. Very good, no fuss service. The room was very comfortable and clean. A little noise coming from adjoining bedroom though.

"Short break"
Gary M, 27 Août 2019

Hotel well presented, no lift and spiral staircase could be a problem for some, room not long refurbished to high standard , staff excellent, food fabulous, good parking, (get there early), bar prices good , pool table , juke box , sky and bt sport ,

"Excellent Take Away Meal"
Flyerboy1975, 25 Août 2019

Decided to have a take-away meal today as it was extremely hot and wanted to make the most of the garden. We called the hotel to order and asked for our food to be ready at 6.30pm. I was 5 minutes early which gave me enough time to pay for my order and have a wee chat with the lovely Karen who was working in the lounge bar. The food was delivered to the bar exactly on time, very well packaged and piping hot. The meal itself was absolutely delicious - we all really enjoyed it : but the home baked pizza is to die for! The Inn is our favourite place to eat in Inveraray - it is very consistent with good, healthy portions and you're guaranteed really warm and friendly service from either Margaret, the 2 Karen's or all the other staff. I know sometimes take-away food can be substandard to a sit in option but not here - it was as equally delicious. If you ever want to eat out but can't be bothered to go out - then try a takeaway from here. We were so impressed and had a lovely night in!!

"Couple with dog"
nikralc, 17 Août 2019

As a base this hotel is good based on that we had our wee dog room was immaculate well appointed with plugs and USB ports restricted access for dog which was OK but we would have preferred to eat in the lounge bar which we understood it was bar only when we booked such a great location for exploring all areas and lochside location was worth the booking Thanks

"Great location/ good quality breakfast included"
joannakatarzyna_13, 13 Août 2019

Great location overooking Loch Fyne. Room, bathroom and the whole building was super clean!!! Room and bathroom were fresh and modern. Lovely and friendly staff!!! Excellent quality breakfast included in price. If you travell with dog -thre is extra £10 charge.

"Great location"
Cas97, 02 Août 2019

Had a lovely room overlooking the loch. Hotel is in an old building, so there is no lift but it was clean and friendly and had everything you would expect at the price. Breakfast was standard and all buffet style.

"Lovely room, good service"
Ellie S, 23 Juillet 2019

The room was fresh, modern, and clean. We had dinner in the evening which was very nice, if a little expensive. The room had a good shower and comfortable beds. Overall, a very pleasant stay in a beautiful location.

"Again Lunch Only"
marilynw888, 22 Juillet 2019

On our way up to our hotel for the night we decided to stop here for our lunch. Thankfully we managed to get a parking space in the hotel car park which does help and we all trooped into the bar and sat ourselves down. Again the staff could not have been more helpful and I finally decided that since I knew we would be having a meal at our hotel that night that given my appetite I should have something fairly light, so I chose a bowl of Cullen Skink and a round of Egg Mayonnaise sandwiches. The Cullen Skink was gorgeous. Huge chunks of tatties and fish, which is what Cullen Skink should be. The sandwiches were pretty boring. Too much mayonnaise and not enough vinegar but that is probably person preference. I like my egg mayo with a bite. All of us had a great meal and if you are thinking of stopping here then I would say go for it.

"OK but with its issues - but there again it's Best Western"
XRXM, 21 Juillet 2019

I would completely agree with the review written on 13 July by Itchy306. This hotel whilst ok, could be so much better. There are parts of it that look very tired which is the norm of course with most Best Western Hotels. The breakfast offering in particular is poor if you don't want fried eggs and bacon. No sign of any cooked meats, cheese, fish so maybe people don't want that here. The major issue is that they should not allow people under 45 to stay on the first floor because there is no lift which would not be a problem were it not for the fact that there is a very tight spiral staircase and lugging yourself, never mind your luggage up to the second floor is no joke. For what it is it is over priced and the £150 a night which is what we paid for B&B. To its credit, the staff were all very pleasant - maybe they do not go up and down the stairs very often!!

"Stopped for lunch."
Norman W, 21 Juillet 2019

Stopped for lunch on our way to Kilmartin Glen. Nice welcome by staff who were only too willing to take our order and make sure we could sit anywhere we wanted. I had the Cheeseburger, while my wife chose the Cullen Skink with egg mayonnaise sandwiches. As my Wife loves this great Scottish dish, she said it was one of the best Cullen Skink she has.ever had so it must have been good. one thing I did notice is that food is made to order and the quality is good. Maybe just a little bit dearer than I would like but you sometimes pay for what you get so didn't mind. Overall. friendly staff, great service, a lovely lunch and certainly would stop there again if passing.

"Expectations."
AnnfromWirral, 21 Juillet 2019

Stayed at this hotel for 4 days in November so decided to see recent reviews and am very surprised at some. I can be critical if a place is under par BUT I loved this hotel, yes, it needs the odd but of updating but I found it charming. The Georgian dining room is beautiful. The staff were lovely, the food was fabulous. We only ate in restaurant and every meal was top notch. The two chefs (George & George) do a great job. Don't understand the nit picking of some. We are planning a return visit soon. Btw, Inverary is a great little town to see jail and stately home plus days out as a base. Loved every minute.

"Pleasant stay"
rkinggc, 18 Juillet 2019

We stayed overnight. We came from a long drive and it was wet. It was good to come to this small hotel with a good size bedroom, comfy bed and shower that was recently refurbished and had hot running water. Went and had dinner in their pub, this was cozy and warm, compared to the rain outside, and this is what it made it so relaxing having dinner in there. The meal was nothing fancy but it did my husband and I just fine after a long drive. The desserts were great also especially the ice cream. Breakfast in the morning was like any hotel breakfast that you serve yourself and the selection was good. I loved the fruit salad and yogurt, my husband loved the eggs and cereal. All up this is a pleasant hotel and I would recommend a stay. The staff are pleasant and very amenable to your needs. Quite honestly since being in the UK we have stayed in much worse accommodation ie B & Bs, and this hotel is one of the better accommodations we have stayed in, its reasonably priced for the high tourist season. You have to experience all types and this is clean and comfortable and staff are friendly.

"Not what was expected"
Itchy306, 13 Juillet 2019

All the promotional literature explained that the hotel was taken back into family hands in 2015, and not too expect too much as they were in the process of renovating all the rooms......but that was 4 years ago. Check-in slightly odd, we were told that we had to pay in full on check-in, even though we had booked direct and not through a booking site....first time for us. The room was pleasant enough with a view over the loch, bathroom was large but a bit dated. Dinner were advised that on a Sunday, the restaurant wasn't open, so ate in the Lounge Bar. Was okay, but the menu boring, pub grub at best....with so much good produce around, we expect better.......and then came the buffet breakfast, no options for the eggs and you have to time it just right to get the fresh components, which we didn't. The saving grace were the staff at reception, attentive, polite, friendly and quite liberal with the attractions vouchers.

"Horrendous"
Irene D, 29 Juin 2019

Don't stay here at weekend if you want nice relaxing break. Music still going loud at 00:20. Receptionist handed husband earplugs at 11:30!! Won't be back. Shame as hotel and staff lovely. Room half size of our spare at home.

"Nice Hotel but mixed welcome"
Barryp1969, 26 Juin 2019

Stayed for one night as part of a Lands End to John O'Groats bike ride. Had previously checked that they could store my bike, when after a few questions, I was told they could always find space for one bike, this didn't leave the best impression with me, and on checking in, after referring to her manager I was told that I could put the bike in the conference room as long as I removed it by 9am the next day. Luckily I had planned an early start. When I put the bike in the conference room I was told by a young lady setting the room up for the next day “you can't leave that there, I'm putting a table there”. When I enquired where I should put i, she just looked at me blankly. So overall not a great first impression. The room was recently refurbished and clean and tidy, with free WiFi, and dinner in the bar was good value. Breakfast was a buffet format, so plentiful with good choice. Overall if I was travelling by bike again I would look to stay somewhere else. Without the bike there wouldn't be an issue. Hotel and Facilities 5/5. Staff attitude 1/5 so on balance 3/5.

"Well worth a look"
Dennis C, 26 Juin 2019

I needed a village to stay in over night and this was it and we were really happy that we did. I had the best Black Pudding and Haggis Pizza for dinner but please note that the hotel does not have a lift so if you are old or disabled you might have issues

"Hotel with spectacular view of loch"
Explorer34308373589, 25 Juin 2019

The hotel is in a lovely location in front of the loch. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The bedroom was clean with plenty of room for clothes. We had a lovely view from our window of the loch and surrounding mountains. Be aware that as it is a listed building it does not have a lift, so if you are not on the ground floor you will have to lug your cases up the stairs, although I'm sure they could find someone to help. The breakfast was ok. There is parking in front and at either side of the hotel.

"Nice One Night Stay"
MayoGal, 24 Juin 2019

We thought that Inveraray was a charming town and the Inveraray Inn was a good choice for an overnight stay. Be aware that there is no lift and it is a decent hike (for those of us who are of a certain age) to the second floor. We had a large comfortable room and found the breakfast filling. A highlight of our stay was an amazing dinner at the nearby Samphire Restaurant.

"why have we not eaten here before?"
millar181, 24 Juin 2019

We had a lovely meal her at the weekend, pleasant service, could do with some background music but otherwise enjoyed our meal and will stop again in the passing, I had the smoked salmon fillet with lemon sauce was delicious! always tend to eat at another establishment in Inverary but will be the Inn in future!

"Excellent experience"
Halyna T, 19 Juin 2019

We stopped for the night here and were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. First of all, found it very interesting that it has been an Inn since the mid 1700's. Rooms were spotlessly clean, decent size, bathroom also spotless, with excellent lighting. Pillows were down, which made me a happy camper. Did not expect that quality from this Inn. Breakfast was more than adequate, and the dining room for breakfast had great ambiance. Staff also very pleasant and helpful. All in all very satisfactory.

"Stopped in for an evening meal"
Aequitas6, 14 Juin 2019

We weren't staying at the hotel but had been wandering around the town looking for somewhere to eat. We asked a few of the locals and they consistently mentioned the Inveraray Inn. We were on a boat and had a dog so had to find a dog friendly place. We were told that we could eat in the bar with the dog and that it would be the same menu as in the restaurant. The bar was fine, typical Scottish bar with a few locals and a few visitors having something to eat. Prices were very reasonable and because they had a restaurant menu there was more than the usual pub fayre on offer. I had a pizza and I have to say it was excellent. The base a mixture of soft and crispy just they way that I like it and if I had a criticism it was too big. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

"Perfectly Situated Hotel"
rachel635, 13 Juin 2019

Had a lovely stay in this historic inn, which is being refurbished in a contemporary modern country style with soft colours and natural fabrics. The hotel was clean and well presented, and there is some parking at the Inn with masses more spaces in the town car park. The setting is perfect by the shores of Loch Fyne within easy walking distance of the town and its attractions. Would stay here again.

"Inveraray Stopover"
Peter R, 05 Juin 2019

Broke a long drive from the Hebrides at Inverarary. The village well worth a visit and the Inn was solid but a bit limited for the price. Decent food and wine and a cracking location on the loch. Walking distance from the excellent Inverarary Castle.

"Trusted Hotel Chain"
cogstewart, 30 Mai 2019

Our stay at the Inverary Best Western was as we had expected from this renowned hotel chain with a clean and well appointed room overlooking Loch Fine with an extremely comfortable large double bed. We had dinner in the restaurant bar that was extremely good and reasonably priced. The staff throughjout our stay were very courteous, friendly and helpful especially Marie on Reception who went out of her way to manage our needs.

"Excellent lunch"
Elizabeth F, 26 Mai 2019

Visited this hotel for lunch with my family on Saturday. Reception very friendly and long staff were excellent. Lovely table at the window watched traffic coming over bridge menu was very good choice was exceptional including specials board. The waiter who served us took our order nothing written down but what a memory because we all gave him starters and main courses. Wld love to have a memory like that. Well done to him. Meal and staff were faultless. Certainly go again.

"Very pleasant stay in a beautiful location "
56peterc56, 22 Mai 2019

We stayed one night and had a lovely and comfortable room with a beautiful view overlooking Loch Fyne. Great service and good honest food both for dinner and breakfast. Great place to stay to look around the small town of Inveraray. Would recommend

"Wonderful view"
Vatersay_girl, 19 Mai 2019

the Lochside bedrooms presented the perfect view of the Loch and peaceful location. We stayed for one night but would have stayed longer if we had the time. Breakfast was good with plenty of choices and the bar meals adequate. Comfortable beds and friendly and helpful staff made our stay enjoyable. Inveraray Castle is within walking distance of the hotel, and worth a visit, though trying to avoid the coach parties of American tourists is difficult.......Tip: if you want to eat at the tea room, which is very good, go just before lunch and eat before you investigate the castle. The exit from the castle passes through the tea room so many people stop to eat when they pass through. We found around 11.30 to 12 midday was fairly quiet.......Would certainly visit the hotel again..

"Highland Views"
GTEABAR, 07 Mai 2019

The hotel is well situated with a very good view over the loch. Parking could have been better. A Car Club were in the hotel and obviously nobody had told them how to park. Each small car seemed to need three spaces. Hotel was clean and staff friendly and helpful. Room was a bit small but Bathroom was a good size. Room was maybe at the wrong side of the hotel, above the bar, and it was a bit noisy until maybe 11.30. But afterwards we did sleep well.

"Decent sized comfy room DOG FRIENDLY nice staff and decent food in a good location reasonably priced !!"
Ronnie K, 01 Mai 2019

Stayed here on a groupon £140 in total for 2 night including 3 course meal and breakfast dogs are only £5 per days stay so a bargain. Room was spacious, clean and comfy with tea/coffee making facilities included. Location is ideal for that area Oban about an hour away but lots of things to do castles etc (from 1st April to Oct) only !! Cruchan visitors centre also worth a visit and for the outdoors folk lots of walks including of course Ben Cruchan munroe so ideal for the doggy folk/hikers also.Staff were all very good and there is a park nearby the castle 5 mins walk from hotel that you can take the dogs to do their business take poo bags though !! ideal location for a short break .

"Excellent stay"
DayTrip59090643169, 27 Avril 2019

I would have given this hotel 5 but for the fact there is no lift. The building is listed so a lift is out of the question. If you are looking for a hotel with the following: spotlessly clean, good food, friendly, helpful and efficient staff, good location and excellent views of Loch Fyne, then look no further than the Inveraray Inn.

"Overnight stay"

Not sure whether caught all the staff on bad day but wouldn't return here. Firstly not a friendly welcome from reception, we arrived 30 minutes before check in the woman didn't even attempt to find out if room ready, just a curt 3 o'clock is check in not before, decided to eat in lounge bar for dinner came down at 7 o'clock as needed to be somewhere at 9pm so we thought plenty of time, decided to eat in conservatory as such a lovely evening bar man told me he would come to table to take order, 20 mins later after finding someone to take it we ordered food. Starters came quick, mains not so quick approx 30 mins after starters cleared, my friend had steak pie which was very salty I had chilli again very salty other friend had burger which she said was nice 1 out of 3 not bad, no one came and checked during meal to see if ok, when cleared weren't asked if meal ok or if we wanted anything else, we went to find staff to order dessert told them we had to leave in 40 mins, 30 mins later they arrived after I cancelled them didn't come as described and inedible... on check out receptionist far from friendly never asked if stay was enjoyable just given bill argued with us when we refused to pay part of bill due to service being shocking at dinner the whole time at dinner and breakfast all we heard was front of house staff saying sorry all the time. Location fantastic, rooms lovely, that's as far as it goes, certainly won't be returning, how they cope when busy I don't know, shame as reviews are good, must have stayed in different place. Disappointed.

"Great overnight stay"
Getaway19378666061, 14 Avril 2019

We had a fantastic overnight stay, the room was clean and the bed was very comfortle. The staff at the hotel were extreamly friendly and made the effort to speak to us and help with anything that was needed. The food at the restaurant was great and we got a £5 voucher to put towards food or drinks when checking in. The location of this hotel is ideal with inveraray Castle 10 mins away in the car and inveraray jail a 2 minute walk. We will definitely be staying staying at this hotel again.

"Traditional Hotel with Great Service"
holidaysinscotland, 02 Avril 2019

Me, my husband and the dog stayed at the Inverary Inn for 3 nights. The hotel is in a great location, our room was lovely, the view from the window exceptional. The food was excellent... we are both vegetarian, and expected to have second class choices in an area that serves a lot of seafood – but not so. Our meals were interesting and beautifully cooked and presented. Karen, assistant manager, told us that nobody leaves there hungry... she was right! Our other main server was Jess, who was also skilled, professional, and helpful. In fact, all the staff we came into contact with were professional and friendly. I would struggle to find anything about the hotel that was not excellent. We plan to visit again.

"Lovely"

Enjoyed an overnight here with friends. Welcoming staff, excellent evening meal (3 courses £25).Very nice breakfast. Friendly, helpful staff. An beautiful, dramatic location at the edge of the loch. Very nice decor in room. Sound-proofing in rooms needs to be improved though.

Booked 2 nights DBB in a twin room. Plenty parking around hotel as parking charges don't start till the end of March. Check in friendly and efficient. No lift in hotel. Twin room very nicely decorated, comfortable beds, great bed linen, lovely bathroom with large walk in shower. Superb quality shower gel and handwash in bathroom. Plenty hangers in wardrobe. Great wifi throughout hotel. Service in restaurant for breakfast and dinner was superb.Derek was very good but all the staff are fantastic, very accommodating and friendly . The food is amazing. Fresh, good quality ingredients, served quickly. Bar area with jukebox , good selection at bar. Location is perfect, 5 mins from the shops and castle.

LauraD6304, 04 Mars 2019

I've just arrived back from a family overnight stay here and were made to feel very welcome. Karen especially was lovely and made out stay even nicer she was very welcoming and made us feel at ease in the restaurant with my 3 year old son. She also never charged us for the chips I had got for my son..as he hardly ate any at all... this was descent. Thank you again and we will hopefully be back again one day. Rooms were also very clean. I have attached a couple of photos the beef was amazing which we both had for our main.

"17 month daughter had a ball."
kevsee, 11 Février 2019

We stayed with our daughter for a longer weekend here. Lidia had a great time. All the staff and guests were really friendly and attentive. Our room, 110, was a decent size with a good sized shower room. Breakfast was excellent with some of the nicest tasting bacon I've had. Lidia also enjoyed the spread. Sadly Lidia didn't sleep so well in her travel cot but other than that, more than happy to highly recommend.

"Perfect Stay!"
JaneyLK, 04 Février 2019

My husband and I were bought an overnight stay here as a gift for Christmas. We looked forward to getting away for a wee night after the Christmas rush and having to work most of it! I can honestly say it was one of the nicest places I have stayed in a long time! The staff are charming and knowledgeable of the local area, the room was beautiful with a view I could just sit and look at all day, the food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented and we were able to bring our 2 dogs with us. Just perfect!! We will be returning for sure. Well done Inveraray Inn, spot on!

"Excellent hotel in stunning location"
TrailBlazer531451, 23 Janvier 2019

We had stayed here previously and always found it to be a good, if a little dated. Am pleased to say that the recent renovations have improved the look of the hotel but it still retains its family feel. The rooms are spacious and staff are very friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Stayed at The Inverary Inn for 2 nights in a very nice Loch view room. Hotel staff were really friendly, especially the young waitress in the restaurant (sorry didn't get her name) who recommended the Cullen Skink to us, and we were so glad she did, it was absolutely delicious!!! Thank you! Everything else that we ate whilst there was really enjoyable too. Really nice hotel and staff, would definitely go back and would recommend it to anyone.

"Groupin Twixmas Break"
Rae D, 02 Janvier 2019

This break was a last minute 'groupon deal' so we didn't expect the Ritz! We had a lovely time. All the staff were very helpful. We had a very comfy bed (I brought my own pillow). The food was excellent, a different menu on the two nights that we stayed! We had a loch view from our room but would advise that it could be quite noisy with traffic when the window is open as it is the main route for Glasgow etc, but would definitely recommend!

"Football"
Michelle C, 29 Décembre 2018

On our way to Port Sonnachan and popped in to watch the football. Good atmosphere but what made it for me was the pie's and sandwiches at half time. They were magic! Nice touch! Foods always lovely in here but its nice to get a wee freebie. Staff lovely too.

"Christmas Day at the inn"
Higginsons, 26 Décembre 2018

Just got back from a two night stay over Christmas. This was the first time we have gone away for Christmas and it won't be our last. Four adults and a child so we occupied two rooms both of which were very nice. The food was exceptional and the staff went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable, nothing was too much trouble for them. The little touch of hanging Christmas stockings filled with gifts on everyone's bedroom door was so sweet. Our grandson Coby loved the Christmas atmosphere, and was kept entertained throughout our stay by guests and staff. A big thanks to everyone for making our Christmas stay so special.xxx

First class hotel excellent food staff very helpful. Rooms warm and very comfortable . It is of course in the most beautiful of settings. The town of Inveraray has so much history . If you like Scottish history it is the place to be.

"Fab time"
Pauline G, 16 Décembre 2018

Went away with my niece for her birthday . Could not fault this hotel . Staff very helpful. We slept in for breakfast, when we phoned reception they kindly asked the kitchen could we have breakfast (20 minutes after it had stopped) . The kitchen made us a fabulous Scottish breakfast. Ps . The beds are really comfortable, great nights sleep .

"Beautiful"
JackieB2511, 10 Décembre 2018

This was our first visit to Inveraray and it won't be our last. The staff were amazing, very polite and couldn't do enough for you. We were here for a two night stay using a groupon voucher which included breakfast and 3 course evening meals. We upgraded to the executive suite so we could have a view of the loch and it was well worth it, the views are stunning. The hotel is very clean and clean towels, tea/coffee/hot chocolate making facilities were supplied daily. The rooms and hotel are tastefully decorated in traditional Scottish decor and it was very cosy with the log burner in the bar and large Christmas tree in the foyer. There was a good choice of food on the menu and each course was very tasty and was served promptly. We will definitely be back, hopefully in the summer. Would highly recommend.

"Short break "
385beccah, 02 Décembre 2018

We recently stayed here for my husband's birthday. It was our first trip away with our 4 month old baby and I can't rate the hotel and staff enough they literally did everything we could have possibly asked for and more. The breakfast was superb and the meals in the restaurant and bar were devine Apart from the hotel not having a lift there were no other down sides the view from the hotel is amazing and the rooms were so spacious especially when you have everything for a baby! The manager was so helpful and the staff were incredibly helpful. Thank you for an amazing time

"Fantastic Hotel with very friendly and helpful staff"
sandsdek, 26 Novembre 2018

Just returned from an overnight stay at this beautiful hotel. The Hotel itself has been beautifully refurbished, the room was spotlessly clean on arrival and staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much bother. The food was first class and there was plenty on offer at breakfast the next morning. The hotel is situated right on the front of Inveraray with excellent views out over the waterfront and as an added extra they were great at accommodating our dog. We will definitely have another visit very soon, Highly recommended

"short getaway with the wife and the dog....."
