Best Western Hollywood Plaza Inn Hotel - Hollywood Walk of Fame LA

The hotel is about 10 mins stroll to the main attractions, bus tours, restaurants etc. so ideally placed. But the hotel is very much like a motel and the facilities are very basic. The room was clean but looked tired and required a makeover but the bed was large and very comfortable. Limited TV channels choice and basic remote (no Netfix). The bathroom was adequate. Breakfast was served in an adjoining bar/bistro with very basic choices but adequate for our needs. There was no luncheon served. Dinner was very basic and plain-which we did not have.

This was a quick business trip that was made pleasant by the friendly staff. Check-in was quick and they offered me a toothbrush since I forgot mine. I will definitely stay at this location for any future trips.

A beautiful clean room closer to the Walk of Fame and other attractions in LA. The metro station is also half a mile. Room had a fridge, microwave oven and coffee maker available. Room service was also good.

Very good location, close to the walk of fame and other attractions. 1 stop to Universal Studios. Hotel is clean and staff is helpful. Bit noisy but didn't pay that much attention to it after a whole day of sightseeing :-) definitly recommend.

This hotel was my favorite! The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The center of the hotel was all open concept, so the minute you stepped out of your room, you felt like you were outside. The room itself was vert clean, couldn't of asked for better! I felt very safe in this hotel, and the location was superb as well. Walking distance to the Hollywood walk of fame and many other attractions. Definitely wanting to come here again.

The front desk man, Rajh, was so very rude. I wanted to know why I was charged the full amount and he told me it was an approval, as soon as I tried to tell him that's not how an approval works he put his hand up to stop me from speaking and then very rudely stated "just relax" well coming from a previous best western employee I will not be staying here again and wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

Stayed here 2 nights and it was a perfect location for Hollywood, just over a 5 minute walk to the boulevard and an $8 Uber ride to universal studios. I was worried after reading some previous reviews however the room was very clean and appeared to have been updated. Staff were very helpful and arranged a room for us as we arrived earlier than check in time. The hotel was slightly noisy but this was mainly from other guests being loud when walking around. For the price we were very happy with this hotel.

No hand soap was provided so we asked, and they told us to use the body wash bar... Other than that, it's a fine hotel for the price. Really close to Sunset Blvd, walking distance to everything you might want to do.

i was there on my own a 54yr old woman from 17th nov to the 19th i was on the 4th floor room at the end on the corner it was on the smallish side but clean the bed comfy could not fault the place staff friendly i could easy walk to the walk of fame on my own about a 10 min walk away never felt unsafe i couldnt fault the place only the wee bar downstairs not a good look to walk in and the guy is on his phone i ordered the nachos omg they were disgusting they were deep fried and totally yuck but i was hungry and suffered them..but overall id stay again it was a great price paula from chinchilla qld australia

The headache started at check-in, my room was already pre-purchased but at check-in they said it wasn't and since I uesd a card I no longer have, I couldn't prove it. The room was ok but the bed was old and lumpy. The room was quiet and the ac worked fine. Check-out was smooth. Leaving was nightmare. One of the housekeepers had her car parked behind mine and the took an extra 20 minutes to leave. I think next time I'll stay at the hotel next door, I've never trouble at that one.

For the price paid for one night it's highest I've paid anywhere in long time. I most likely wont return. Hotel room was clean, pillows were horrible made for rough might sleep. Glad this wasnt a multi day stay. From reviews I read on other hotels in area for price range,this one seemed better than the others.

We stayed at this hotel to use our rewards points(top tier reward member) and be close to Hollywood Blvd and close enough to uber to Universal. I will never stay at this hotel again, the staff is so rude and have no sense of customer service. We went to check in around 8pm on a Friday night, we had our confirmation # and paperwork for the reservation and they were insistent that there was more stuff we needed to have to do a check in, despite having everything we were provided when we booked the room through Best Western Rewards department. We were supposed to stay for three nights but only stayed the one due to the rude staff. I tried telling the lady at the front desk about it in the morning on Saturday and she didn't care at all. I'm sure that is because this is normal for their staff, but this is not normal or acceptable to be or my family.

Great location . Friendly and helpful staff . Perfect especially if attending an event at the hollywood bowl . Be sure to check out Mel's Diner for a great meal. Also just blocks from Hollywood Blvd! Awesome .

We stayed for three nights.The hotel is in a brilliant location,A lot of the touristy things are in walking distance. The rooms were clean and comfortable,the staff very helpful. The Spice bar served good food. A great stay. Thank you to all

Room was very comfortable, clean and well maintained. Manager on duty was very helpful and even called after we got to our room to make sure everything was good. Room was on second floor and very quite. We went to a concert that evening at the Hollywood Bowl and it is just a short walk to it from the Hotel. We had a great evening and night at this hotel and would recommend it to everyone. Breakfast in the morning at the attached resturant was very good as well. Everyone was happy and helpful. We will be back!

MAJOR disappointment the manager NEVER followed up with us after our vehicle was hit in their lot overnight. Security video was available to review but he never took time to review film! NO FOLLOW UP FROM MGR! INEXCUSABLE!! Would have recommended this hotel otherwise -

Fantastic location. Walking distance to walk of fame,Chinese theater,Jimmy Kimmel live show,Hollywood Bowl,7-11,cafes,all sorts.Seemed quite safe. Tip,dont take super shuttle to get there.Normal cab or uber from LAX

Raj and Maryjane had excellent hospitality and made sure everything we needed we had! The rooms were nice and comfortable! Parking is paid parking but it's extremely nice and convenient! We came here after visiting a nasty hotel and this hotel was perfect!

Unfortunately only had 2 nights here. Check-In was great as was our room. Very impressed had a Microwave Oven. The Coffee Machine also had Tea Pods so was very happy being a tea drinker, never had that before anywhere!. Handy to 711 store & Starbucks a short walk down the hill as was the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Cafe had good selection of food. Hotel close to Hollywood Bowl, The Grove Shopping Centre and Universal Studios. Unfortunately left my IPad behind in the rush to catch our shuttle but some wonderful person found it and handed it into reception. Have yet to work out how to get it back to OZ :( Sorry people had bad experiences but we were happy and would have liked to stay longer. Thank You.

Unfortunately our stay here way horrible. But it wouldn't have been that bad if we were treated better by the hotels customer service. We stayed 2 nights here. The power went completely out the morning of our first night. We thought about going to another hotel but we're told it would be back up in about 2 hours. So we left for lunch and some shopping. We didn't come back until after the check out time so we couldn't leave our reservation if we wanted to at this point and the power was still out. No lights no hot water no tv no WiFi. Nothing. So when I asked after our stay what our compensation would be it was 1 free day of parking at $40 off one of our nights! So we paid $300 to stay at a hotel that was only able to provide a bed to sleep in. Best westerns corporate stated they don't deal with billing and it is all determined by the owner of the hotel. And this was all he was willing to compensate. When we called back we were responded to with “well you could've gone to another hotel like a lot of our other guests.” Well we were told it was going to be back up in 2 hours and then we were trapped in our reservation when we found out the power wasn't back up. It didn't come back on until 1 am on our second night. I still can't believe we stayed somewhere for $300 to sleep in a bed. Horrible communication. Horrible compensation if anything goes wrong. Also in the dark lobby that also had no power I slipped on a puddle of water. Again no compensation for all this crap we had to deal with. (No wet floor sign by the way, my fall was what informed them). Definitely going to keep pursuing getting some of our money back. Shame on best western corporation for not doing anything about it and shame on the individual owner of this hotel for being greedy and not offering more compensation. Could've stayed at a $25 a night hostel and been offered more accommodations. Don't you think if you offer 10 things for your stay and only receive 2 you'd get a discount for the hotel not providing all services advertised?

Within walking distance of the Bowl, so very convenient. Because of its location, it was crowded - but it fit the bill perfectly. Surprised they had a small lounge for after the show, so that was a nice surprise.

Had problem checking in even though had confirmation advising all paid for so not a good start. Room was very dark and musty and bed not comfortable. Breakfast had a good selection of fruit pancakes and cakes. However was pleased to get away and head off on our journey the following morning.

But no real complaints really nice big bed, fridge microwave nice TV good shower, some nice places to eat within easy walking distance.. Great aircon friendly staff I would stay again Only complaint is road noise it did not stop us sleeping at all (and did not really bother us) but if you are worried about noise ask for a room away from the road (ours was right on the road)

The hotel is in the heart of Hollywood within walking distance of the Walk of Fame and Grauman's Chinese theatre. The neighborhood is a bit dodgy but the hotel was decent and the rooms in pretty good shape for an older property.

Our first stop of our trip was Best Western Hollywood. The rooms are clean and really well maintained. The staff are friendly and make you feel welcomed. Room service was fantastic. 5 minute walk to main Hollywood area.

Your location website states, under amenities, that a shuttle from LAX is available for a nominal fee. I just called hotel to confirm days of the week availability and abruptly told "no, we don't have a shuttle". No apology, I'm sorry that's out of date or sorry that's incorrect, just No, we don't have a shuttle". Very disappointing both in being misled and how it was handled.

This hotel was everything we wanted - a 5 minute walk to the Disneyland entrance, pool to relax in mid-day, and a great morning breakfast with lots of hot and continental options. The staff was very helpful. Highly recommend!

The rooms are nice size, with fridge and coffee maker The swimming pool is too small as it easily gets crowded at the end of the day. There is a good restaurant in the hotel. The hotel is lovely close to Hollywood Bv. and Sunset Bv.

I would give it a lower rating if I could, but the one star is for the staff. They were very friendly and courteous. You have to pay nightly for parking and it's a nightmare! Tiny cramped spots that you shouldn't need to pay for. Very overpriced for what you get. Coming from a BW hotel background, this place should not pass yearly inspections. You can tell the housecleaning clean the bathroom floors with the dirty towels. Shake them out before you use them! Pay extra and stay elsewhere!!

The hotel was very clean and the staff was very nice. I was in town for a concert at the Hollywood Bowl, and the hotel was perfectly located to walk to and from the venue. It was also an easy walking distance to Hollywood and Highland, where many Hollywood attractions can be found. The only issue I had was that they did not offer a free breakfast, which would have been great.

Excellent location - Very safe to walk late at night to Hollywood Blvd - people were very friendly. The blackout curtains helped with our sleep and the bed was so comfortable we almost overslept. Continental Breakfast would of been great with the refresher water offered. Refresher water was amazing.

We always travel in from Orange County every year for the Bowl Summer Season and stay at this Best Western. The location is great and depending upon when you book, you get some good deals. I have no complaints at all! We've been staying here for the past few years.

This semi-small hotel isn't a bad stay, and is super close to the Hollywood Walk and Chinese Theater. Be prepared, they only offer parking for Prius-sized vehicles and none of the guests appear to understand the blue stall is not an idling zone nor a free way to prevent door dings. A solid budget stay with an excellent restaurant right in the lobby.

We stayed here for 2 nights as part of a road trip through California with our two children. On arrival the reception staff were very helpful and pleasant and check in was quick and easy. The room was a good size with good amenities and it was very clean. The beds were very comfortable and we didn't notice much noise at all from the road. The hotel is in a great location for reaching many sights like Hollywood blvd and Griffith Park. Parking was reasonable and there was always availability whatever time we came and went. The pool is small but clean and the kids enjoyed it! Overall we had a great stay and if returning to the area we would definitely use this hotel again.

This is not best hotel in LA but it is comfortable, clean and tidy. The staff are pleasant. I enjoyed my dinner in the restaurant the staff were great in the evening. I tried to have breakfast but they seemed to be a little busy. This hotel was in a good location for a first time visitor to LA.

This is a relatively basic but clean motel style property within an easy walk to Hilton / Highland. Will not win any prizes for amazing service but for a short stay it is more than adequate. Staff were helpful in terms of getting cars booked, storing bags, and offering directions. The room was clean, the bed comfortable. For the price it is a good option for a short stay.

Room was very clean, Staff was friendly and helpful, surprisingly low price considering how close it was to many of the attractions. There was a restaurant on premises, but breakfast wasn't included with the stay. The rooms were located above the parking lot, and the room was quieter than expected.

I visited this hotel two years ago. I find this hotel very pleasant. The staff is very kind and helpful. The hotel is clean and beds are comfortable. That is the most important for me. In addition there are refrigirator, microwave and caffee machine in the room. The location is good although the hotel is close to heavilyy trafficked road. You might need ear plugs when sleeping, I myself did not need them but my husband did. You get a lot for the money.

Rude staff that should not be in the hospitality industry. The location of this dive is reasonable if you want to be ripped off on the strip, the rooms are fair but the attitude from reception staff suggests they are recruited from the penitentiary system. After almost a day commuting from Australia it would be nice to get eye contact and a smile when you finally arrive for your first night in the US. Don't stay here!

The room is very overpriced for what you get . I paid almost $500 for 2 nights . No breakfast included . Had to pay $18 per night for parking also. The bathroom was wet and sour smelling . Will not stay at this location again . The swimming pool which is very small needs to be cleaned more often , my children wouldn't get in .

Checked in for three nights to tour Hollywood. Conveniently located about a 10 minute walk from Hollywood Blvd. Has an outdoor pool and laundry facilities. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Reasonably priced. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Nice location as you are away from the hustle and bustle of Hollywood Blvd yet close enough to enjoy.

I stayed here for 4 nights, I found the rooms to be very clean and the staff very friendly. It provides its own paid parking which can get filled up quickly. Coming from the UK I find it a bit of a shock to pay for hotel parking but its a normal thing here. A short walk to the Hollywood strip. The location is ideal base to explore LA and Los Angeles County. Its a 30 min drive to Santa Monica.

My boyfriend and I checked into this Best Western after spending 3 long days in Disneyland. Check in was nice and easy. We loved how modern the room was and how clean everything was. They also left us a note on who cleaned our room before we checked in and to contact them if we needed anything. My only complaint is the traffic around the area of the hotel sometimes makes it hard to get in and out of the hotel, but that's not the hotels fault. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and will stay there again next time we are in the area.

Simple, clean, great location. No complaints for the three nights we stayed. Amenities were few but it's in an area where everything was accessible. Parking was plentiful too which was helpful. Nice staff.

The hotel is located in a very busy neighborhood in Hollywood, Los Angeles. The room contained all amenities including a microwave and mini-fridge but it was a very small room with only basic furniture: bed, desk, swivel chair and night tables. There was no place to stash the extra pillows for sleeping, and the bed was unusually hard. The bathroom tiles were chipped and loose near the bathtub, which had a cheap rubber non-skid mat for the guest to place in the bathtub for bathing and showering. It was very no-frills for the high price. The hotel restaurant was small, with loud pulsating background music at dinner-time, and only a small selection of overpriced menu items. However, the servers were friendly and attentive, and it was nice to be able to have a tasty dinner and breakfast in the hotel without having to walk to neighborhood eateries in chilly, windy weather. Each room is separately accessible in outdoor corridors, with a visible pile of old mattresses and furniture at the end of one corridor, which could pose a hazard for hotel guests with children. I would probably avoid booking this particular hotel in the future if I had other available options.

The location of this hotel is great. It was just a few blocks from all the action down on Hollywood Blvd. The restaurant connected to the hotel had very good food and all the staff members were very friendly and helpful. If I ever travel back to Hollywood I will stay at the Best Western again.

Mayra at reception is brilliant. I arrived at 7am, after a long haul flight from Sydney; and I expected to have to wait until 3pm to check in. Mayra managed to secure me an early check in, which I was most grateful for. The rooms are indeed small but they're incredibly clean. The staff are friendly and it's only a ten minute walk to Graumans, The Walk of Fame, restaurants and the metro. I was in a room closest to the busy road, but traffic noise wasn't an issue. The bed was comfortable and the rooms were well tended each day. We were very happy with our experience and would stay here again.

Nice little spot close to the action in Hollywood. We had tickets booked for a show at the Whiskey a Go Go and the Hollywood Improv and both were a quick Uber ride away. Clean room, though very compact. Didn't check out any of the amenities as we were on the go the whole weekend, but they looked clean.

The hotel is 5 mins walk from Hollywood Boulevard but is on a main road and the building although clean is very dated and not double glazed, so all noises can be heard. No good for light sleepers. Cafe bar in hotel serving breakfast and dinner, be it pleasant it only offers basic meals. No other communal areas other than the pool and Jacuzzi, which free towels are supplied and both were clean.

Hotel check in was speedy. The hotel layout reminds me of a typical American motel. Rooms seem newly renovated. Facilities are good. My only issue was the heating wasn't the best. Can be quite loud. It's a 10min walk to Hollywood Bvd which has everything you need. Overall, an ok stay

I read plenty of reviews on this hotel before I booked it and I have to say that I found no issues of concern while I stayed here. The room was clean and looked to have been recently refurbished. It also appeared that other rooms were being refurbished as well. The room was quiet apart from some noise from some outside street noise but this was really quite insignificant and after about midnight no real noise at all. The staff at reception were friendly and polite and quite knowledgeable as to what to see and do in the area. The hotel is only a 10 minute walk to the Hollywood and Highland shopping precinct and this will lead you onto Hollywood Blvd. A short $5.00 ride by either Lyft or Uber will take you to 1627 Vine Street, Hollywood where the LAX Flyaway bus will take you to the airport for $8.00 per person. I would certainly stay at this property again with out any hesitation.

Basic clean room. Shower nice and hot. We had to ask for extra blankets it was freezing at night and the A/C was so noisy we had to switch it off. It had tea coffee making facilities which was nice. No breakfast. Not far from walk of fame but several strange characters around at night when walking back from hall of fame

We stayed here due to a travel agent booking. It's clean and comfortable, walking distance to the walk of fame and a short drive to universal studios. It is quite noisy however, and the curtains don't do much to block out the really bright balcony light. I appreciated the cheap self-serve laundry facilities.

The hotel isn't flashy but it had everything you need if you are on holiday. I stayed in more expensive hotels that looked great but didn't measure up to this hotel! The room was a descent size, comfortable bed, with a mini fridge and microwave. We were 10 minutes walk from the Chinese theatre and Walk of Fame. We hired a car and parked at the hotel - car spots filled up quickly but we always found one. The car spots were a bit tight so I would recommend a small-medium size car. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who is on holiday and sightseeing in Hollywood.

I was charged a smoking fee and I don't smoke. I go to the manager and get nothing but attitude and accusations. I called corporate for a resolution and they said they'd open a file but there was ultimately nothing they could do. I will never spend a dime at another best western again.

It is located close to Hollywood attractions and its about 8-10 mins walk uphill from Hollywood highland metro. We could see Hollywood sign while walking from metro to hotel. The location is pretty good and we feel safe. There are restaurants, Starbucks, 7eleven, subway between metro and hotel. Uber to universal studio is about 10-15 mins ride and cost us USD7. We are happy to stay in this area. The hotel itself is motel style. Room and toilet is small and old. But It's clean. We got 2 big luggages and we had to put 1 luggage on the floor. No much place to walk. The room has very strong fragrance/wood smell. We tried to remove the smell by opening the door for about half an hour. Bed is ok. There is temperature control/ heater next to bed and we got difficulty to adjust the temperature (sometime it's hot and sometime it's cold). We didnt hear much noise from the street. The heater was more noisy than the street.

We had a quick one night stay in Los Angeles, and decided we needed to be somewhere central to what we wanted to do/see. This Best Western was about half a mile from Hollywood Boulevard, and the Dolby Theatre, Madame Tussaud, Hollywood Walk of Fame, TCL Chinese Theatre, many restaurants and street performers. Checking in was fast. Mayra at the front desk was fabulous - she answered every question, helped us with extended parking, directions and laundry. She was a real delight to deal with. The room was clean, comfortable and most importantly quiet. I often have trouble sleeping when I am away, but this was not the case here, even with the constant pedestrian and vehicular traffic. If I am ever back in the area, I would certainly consider staying here again.

The Best Western Hollywood Plaza Inn is in a great location for walking to the Hollywood / Highland metro station and seeing quite a few of the area attractions such as the Chinese Theatre and Hollywood Walk of Fame among others. While it isn't the fanciest and newest Best Western I have ever stayed at I felt I got my money's worth staying at this location. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, wifi worked well and the staff were friendly and helpful when needed which are what matter most to me on a stay at any location. I have seen others review that the rooms can be noisy due to the traffic on N. Highland Ave. but my room was located on the second floor on the end closest to the street and I had no issues with traffic noise besides the occasional siren from emergency vehicles which could happen anywhere. There is no free continental breakfast at this location which is a slight downside but I knew that going into my stay so it just is what it is and expected. Overall I had a very pleasant stay at this Best Western location and would definitely choose this location again in the future.

We attempted an early check in but were denied despite an empty hotel. When we asked to use the bathroom, we were directed from the lobby to the laundry room on the third floor. Not professional. The restaurant was crowded. The room was clean but run down. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Motel is fine for a few days but needs updating to a more modern look,motel is very clean. You do not get free parking it is $18 a day which is a bit steep while on a budget. You can walk to Hollywood walk of fame in less than 5 mins, universal studio 10 mins away, there is a few stores and eateries down the street, the area is very safe at all times.

We chose this hotel after much pained research looking for a hotel in Hollywood that had reasonable rates for the room and a reasonable parking rate. The room was basic but very clean and the hotel is walking distance to Hollywood Bvld and the walk of fame and other attractions. King size bed that was comfortable. The staff were friendly. Overall we were quite happy with our choice.

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights and the staff was great. Hotel was clean and there were no surprise charges. Breakfast was not included but there was a great restaurant downstairs. Close to allot of sightseeing. Walking distance to Hollywood Highland Mall, Auditorium, Wax Museums etc. Short drive to Universal. Bring earplugs if traffic sounds will bother you!!

We were there because we attended the Hollywood Christmas Parade. I was surprised that we had to enter our room from outside, but maybe that's how things roll in southern California. The location is great for walking down to the Walk of Fame and different attractions like the Warner Brothers Studio tour and the Hollywood sign were a short drive. The room itself was "ok". It was clean but the interior was a bit dated and there was a stain from what looked to be nail polish on the carpet. It is along a busy street, but after all, it is Hollywood, so it is going to be noisy if you are where the action is. Overall, it was a good value for our needs.

This place was average. The lobby smelled pretty bad. The only thing I liked about my stay here was the fact that it was close to the dispensary on Melrose! I do not plan on staying here again. The night staff was super slow!

This hotel was the most reasonably priced hotel in LA as the prices are crazy. It's motel like and fairly basic but it does the job. The room is clean, it has 2 big double beds and all the amenities you need. It was a good location, a very short walk to the walk of fame and a 5 minute cab ride from universal studios. Definitely recommend for a basic base for a couple nights in LA.

Hotel is a few minutes walk away from the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theater, etc. Room size is acceptable for a family of 4, although I think a little refurbishment is needed. Staff are friendly however in my experience, they spoke in Spanish while I was checking in, thus makes me wonder if they were talking about me.

Ten min Walk to the Hollywood Bowl, it's the only way to go when you live out of town. Small hotel but had close parking (add that fee to your bill), nice, clean rooms with fridge & coffee maker, breakfast NOT included at this BW, ergo the four stars - but had a small but nice dining area for breakfast and food until 10PM? Maybe closes earlier, check with hotel. Bartender was friendly - overall very good experience and I would stay here again. Price is right for the convenience.

Find this hotel very good for a stay in Hollywood - the room was clean and wi-fi worked well. 2 min walk to starbucks/subway for breakfast. 4 min walk to Hollywood Highland and walk of fame. No problem checking in - we even got our room much earlier than scheduled. No extra fees or dispositions were withdrawn as many other hotels. All hotels are expensive in this area and Hollywood is not a fancy place to stay, but if you plan to I recommend this hotel. I stayed four nights with my 15 y son. Easy 10 min drive with Lyft to Universal

Hotel/motel type of hotel with parking. Good hotel for a family or business trip. Short walk down to "Walk of Fame". I want to comment on the way this hotel handle things in a very BAD & UNPROFESSIONAL manner. I don't mean their service, but the way they operate & handle matter. The room was booked from online channel and was fully paid, upon check in I was asked by the front desk for a credit card for deposit. When I returned home, suddenly I notice my credit card was charged, investigation found that the third party agent had not paid the hotel, and then, WITHOUT MY CONSENT, hotel charge my credit card for room charges. I already paid online and again i was charged on my credit card, after hotel was being notified, it took me almost 1 week to get my payment back and i have to cal a ew times to clarified the situation! MY ANGRY question is WHY can't hotel look for the agent for the room charges?? and without CONSENT CHARGE to GUEST!!! the experience for this hotel is HORRIBLE!

My husband and I stayed here for 4 night's in September. The hotel is great. Check in was quick and simple. We were given a room at the back near the swimming pool, it was perfect for our needs. The room was clean, quiet, free WiFi, air con etc. The location of this hotel was perfect as it is only a 10 minute walk to the metro and wall of fame. All the staff we came across were polite and helpful. Special thanks goes to Marcy, she was great from checking us, calling to confirm our transfers and to giving us great advice about the area, which saved us some money! You must try the complimentary strawberry lemon water in the reception area, refreshing after a long hot day. I had a great stay and would stay here again.

My stay was only for 4 nights on business. When I was given a room at the back of complex, away from Highland Avenue (which is noisy at all hours) I thought that I could get a good night's sleep. But that was not to be. On the first and third of those two nights the hotel maintenance staff were talking loudly while pushing around massive garbage bins below my hotel window at 4:30 am!!! When I complained to the front staff they said that they had no control over it. Obviously this is a mismanagement issue. Lacking sleep severely affected my performance at the conference I attended. This hotel is individually owned, but a hotel with the Best Western name on it should maintain a minimum standards. This is why I gave the Rooms a "terrible" rating.

Located 3 blocks from Hollywood Blvd. Within walking distance of Walk of Fame, Dolby Theater, Highland Complex, Hollywood Bowl, Sightseeing Tours. Second time I stayed here and would stay again if in the area. Staff was great and so was the room. Would highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay here. We were a bit concerned upon check in that the rooms might be loud due to the busy street (Highland Ave). But, it was not! We were only 3 rooms from the street and never heard a sound. We also didn't hear our neighbors. Parking here is very good rates ($18)/night. Most other hotels want so much more. The room was very clean and pride themselves in clean rooms.

All previous visits to this site were really good. We always stay at Best Westerns. Love the brand and their hotels. However, this 4 day stay was not good at all and didn't fall within the Best Western expectations we are used to. Appears to be new Management or Ownership? Locked phone so couldn't use a toll-free number to call home on our pre-paid calling plan. Obviously they got burned with unpaid long distance calls by patrons but we were trying to use our toll free number for heavens sake! It took til almost the end of our stay and constant calls to front desk and Management to have it "fixed". TV was on a timer that shut off every 60 minutes (mtce. guy told us it was to save electricity?) and supposedly the master remote couldn't be located. Hot tub was cooler than bath water. Beds were comfy though and room was clean. Wasn't impressed with the front desk staff that seemed disinterested all the time and the fella in the morning had no area knowledge so he wasn't even able to answer which way was North and didn't know where a street was that we ended up finding half a block away. Good location though but not worth the outrageous fee when breakfast isn't even included and internet that worked only some of the time.

Easy to find and good location for universal studios which was around $7 in a uber. Hollywood boulevard was a easy downhill walk. Slight road noise even in one of the back rooms. Rooms were clean but basic and dated. Check in wasn't the most straightforward for us as we had pre paid and there was some mix up but it was soon sorted. Would stay again if passing through but no longer than a couple of nights max.

Nice hotel, clean linens a plus! Friendly, helpful staff. Ask for a room away from traffic as traffic is pretty constant. Good restaurant on site--everything else is a walk to get to. We had trouble with our remote and they fixed it within a half an our, and the hotel was packed.

Only 10 mins from walk of fame and very close to city walk and universal.(we took an ubber which worked out cheaper than paying the parking fee at universal).This is a basic but clean hotel. It was a very noisy room to sleep in. Good for one or two nights before moving on with our roadtrip around california. We had a chrysler 300 which was a very tight fit into the parking area.

This hotel is much nicer inside than expected. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Security is good too. It will cost you to park, but that is pretty normal in the Hollywood area. It's in easy waking distance to Hollywood Blvd. and The Hollywood Bowl.

Only a few minutes walk from hotel to Hollywood Boulevard with all its attractions. Likewise pretty close to the Bowl and the viewing point for HOLLYWOOD sign. Easy to get there by car. Hotel parking available.

Rooms are comfortable, nice and clean. However if you want ultra modern and fancy this is not for you. We have stayed here on several occasions and have always enjoyed our stay. Staff is profession and friendly. The pool area is clean and nice as is the small attached restaurant. The Hollywood Plaza is in a VERY convenient location to the freeway, airport and other Hollywood attractions.

I have stayed at many Best Westerns over the years and this is the first one that charged for parking ($18 a night plus tax), pool closed at 9pm, no continental breakfast. The on site restaurant had tables outside and was noisy even at 11pm. Too much traffic at all hours.

We were going to see Rod Stewart at the Bowl and found this Best Western. The location is perfect as the walk took about 10 minutes. The rooms were comfortable with a seating area, coffee maker and mini fridge. The employees were all friendly and helpful. It's not a downside, but parking is a bit cramped. We will definitely stay here again.

This hotel has everything that is promised. It was clean and tidy, the staff we quiet but nice. The hotel is a 5 minute maximum walk from petrol stations, convenience stores, Hollywood walk of fame and the wax museum. There are more expensive hotels close by with cabs waiting out the front so it was only a two minute walk to always find a taxi. I would definitely stay again, especially if you are looking for something on the cheaper scale (Hollywood accomodation is expensive for a run down town). The wifi was good!

I am a fussy traveller when it comes to hotels. This one has a good location, friendly and very helpful staff, good and safe parking options. Price is a bit steep but I guess it is supply and demand in LA at high season. Safe parking and acceptable price for same. Room was a bit worn, a nice room though. Spa in the room ! Never seen that before. Bathroom was ok for US standard. Bed was acceptable. Coffee maker was good, blow dryer, fridge, microwave. Pool was in the parking lot ! A creative architect must have made the drawings, but I liked it. Breakfast was in the cafe situated on the same lot. American by order. We had an ok stay, it suited our purpose. We were allowed to leave the car for a couple of hours after checkout, so we got a chance to walk an hour on the walk of fame (arrived late). Again, nice staff - Thank you very much for the stay.

Stayed for one night after our original hotel booking was cancelled. Rowan was very friendly and so helpful in checking us into a clean and comfortable family room. Advice on how to get to walk of Fame was priceless ??. Thanks again, Rowan!

The hotel was clean and comfortable beds. It was walking distance to the Hollywood Bowl and lots of other popular sites. Yummy fruit water in the lobby each day. A pool to relax. Friendly hotel staff.

Stayed here for two nights before heading to San Francisco. We had a queen room on the 3rd floor overlooking the pool. Plenty of room and nice and clean including servicing and fresh towels daily. If you have a car it's going to cost you $18 a day. Walking distance to Hollywood Boulevard and apparently Hollywood Bowl as a few guests stayed here for a concert. Recommended to all.

We stayed at this hotel. It's a nice location near to many good things. The front desk was pleasant and helpful! He went to extra mile to ensure I had everything I needed. The bed and pillows were soft and comfortable. Good thing is cleanliness. The bathroom was clean and functional. Lastly must say top services I ever seen.

This location is great for being able to walk down the road to Hollywood Boulevard, which is always pumping with action and excitement. The hotel room was spacious, and included a bar fridge, microwave and a coffee machine. (I prefer a kettle, because I drink tea but anyway....). Our toilet blocked twice, but the staff were very efficient to immediately come up and sort it out. On such a busy road, I expected it to be noisy, but the rooms seem to have some kind of sound proofing in either the doors or windows or both - so it was surprisingly quiet and peaceful at night. Breakfast was included (rare in the USA), and it was sufficient to start the day. The staff were always helpful.

If you are attending an event at the Hollywood Bowl this is the place to stay. A very easy walk to the venue. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and accomodating. We will stay here again in the future.

Room was small but clean. 10 minute walk to Walk of Fame and LA subway. Price was reasonable restaurant on site is small and a bit expensive. Food is ok. You can buy Universal Studio tickets at the check in desk. They also offer a tour, which is ok but if you want to be part of a group you may want to choose one of the more commercial tours. Traffic is tricky when leaving the hotel but you can quickly get to the highway in 10 minutes and Universal in about 15 or 20 minutes. If you plan on walking along Hollywood Boulevard then for the price this is one of the best hotels.

We are currently staying at this hotel and it's so close, within walking distance to Hollywood Blvd. The room in itself is ok not too big but has a friend, microwave and coffee maker in the room with a large safe to fit laptop. The tv has only a handful of towels. We were on 3rd floor very nice and peaceful, no noise whatsoever and we slept well. Location is super and is walking distance of Hollywood Blvd. They have a Spice cafe next door but if you want to grab breakfast from outside - theres mel's diner across the street from the blvd or Ihop close by (we drove) which has free parking. The beds and pillows are perfect and they leave clean towels everyday. They left sweets and a note on the bed also. If you are hiring a car, there is an $18 dollar charge per night for the parking which is average at all hotels, some even charge $20+ but the parking is safe. I had no problems and there is enough space to park which also goes around to the other side by the pool. For us this hotel was perfect, we mostly came back to sleep. There was no noise, no traffic noise, the tv has a handful of channels but who wants to stay in watching tv on holiday? I would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

Clean, soft towels, extra shampoo, lotion, etc. Bed firm but not too hard. Pillows soft and comfy. Did not seem old or run down as some older buildings can be. Good water pressure and water was hot when you wanted it to be.

Don't forget to include parking in your travel budget. The bathtub did not drain. The TV was too dark and the volume would not come up high enough to hear it well. I would not stay at this facility again.

This wasn't a hotel as sold, this is defiantly a very pricey MOTEL! Considering what I paid I was pretty disappointed, it is run down and really old. Needs updated and was soooo noisy you could hear the traffic all day and night as it's on a main road. Reception staff and rude, not bothered and always on their phones. Only good thing was that Maria (the cleaner) kept it clean everyday and the location was a 15min wall from Hollywood walk of fame (which is also an awful area- not what we expected). For the price I paid which was just under £200 a night you can stay in a much nicer hotel. Look around Beverly Hills area and a bit further out.

Perfect location, walking distance to downtown Hollywood. We would definitely recommend this hotel. If you are looking for a hotel that if close to pretty much everything, this is the one that you are looking for. We would not hesitate to book this hotel in the future.

I was very impressed with my stay here. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. The employees are extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel fronts a busy street but I never heard any noise once in my room (our room was second from the front). There is a restaurant onsite serving breakfast and dinner as well as a pool though we didn't visit either of these during our stay. The hotel is in a great location. Within walking distance to the Hollywood Bowl and Hollywood Blvd, which has many restaurants and the Hollywood Walk of Fame. I would definitely stay here again.

Cleaning products leave a SUPER STRONG toxic cloud in the room that never waned (daughter and I both woke up congested). Adjacent property also decided that 4:30am was a good time to start construction work. Good parking and location, as long as you don't care about sleep or your lungs.

It our third stay at this BW. It is about 10 min walk from Hollywood Boulevard and 10 min from Hollywood Bowl. The staff is friendly and helpfull. It is clean. Perfect if you are by care because the garage is almost next to your car. There are a nice pool with a great jacuzzi !

The hotel is designed as a motel, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the pictures on the website does not give it justice. It has a pool at the rear of the property, it is located near the hollywood attractions, some of which are walking distance. The getty museum is absolutely fantastic and worth the visit, we found some of the other areas rather disappointing. The hotel is clean and basic, the reception staff were ok, but not the best I have experienced. I did not use the cafe attached as it didn't look particularly appealing. The bowling alley nearby was really good, nice bar and band also playing, they have special offers on some evenings. it is located on busy street, so can be noisy at night.

First, let me state that I hate nearly all hotels. They seem more intense on gouging and ripping off guests than they do in providing a good visit experience. However, that does not apply to hotel staffs. The vast majority, as in those in this review, are courteous, polite, and professional. This particular hotel which should normally be charging $49 a night in real life, but due to its location in the center of Hollywood, they can have their way with your credit card. The rooms are outdated, but adequate. There is, as of this writing, an $18 a night charge for very tiny parking spaces. The very small hotel restaurant was not very clean. The TV, a nice large flat screen, only provided a dozen channels in sub standard definition quality. Also, the TV would just turn off on its own and revert to channel 1. Very irritating. Although the hotel had nothing to do with this, the Verizon cell phone signal was either nonexistent or only one bar. The Internet connection was also very slow, at least what is considered normal in Los Angeles. On the first night of our stay, the lobby and restaurant area had an overwhelming stench of Lysol. But, not always bad. The hotel is in a great location within walking distance, uphill, to the Hollywood bowl. Hollywood Boulevard is only a 15 minute walk downhill. I interacted with four hotel employees and all were outgoing, friendly, personable, and people that I would hire. The maid service was outstanding. The pool was quite nice. The front landscaping was very attractive. I probably won't return.

More like a motel design. Rooms are large with lovely white bedding and towels . Pool and hot tub very clean and well serviced nice lounge around pool most welcome. Good area to visit the strip and we booked 5hours sightseeing from reception for 59 dollars very nice guide and worth the money.staff at hotel were helpful and pleasant and all in all good place to stay

I have had excellent experiences each time i've stayed at this hotel The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly and professional and willing to accommodate you in any way that they can. I will definitely stay here the next time I'm in Hollywood.

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights after long flight from Hongkong. Arrived at 11 Am, i need to wait about 20 minutes until they gave me my key. I think its nice they allowed me to check in bfore their normal check in time. Hotel located very near to holywood avenue stars, just 2 minutes walk i think. Very convenient to find stores, restaurant and malls. Universal studios is 7 minutes drive by Uber. Now on property and staff: 1. Staff wasnt friendly, they simply doing their job without any gestures of welcoming customer. On second night i remember that i forgot bring charger plug in converter so i borrow to reception, one reception says they lend me this fo 3 hours only and has to be returned as late as 11Pm. I dont know why this become problem, i propose to return it in the morming and they decline. 2. Room is comfortable and clean, bed is also comfortable, bathroom is cleaned. 3. Swimminh pool in backyard seems nice but i havent got to try. 4. This is more like a motel rather than hotel, people are talking loudly even at night and no body try to stop them. I dont see any security around. 5. Building is quite old but well maintained. After all their price is quite acceptable considering the area.

We were very happy with our stay. The hotel staff was very courteous on our arrival and went above and beyond recognizing our Platinum status with Best Western by upgrading our room as well as the usual perks that come with it. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. There was no breakfast included but they have a top notch restaurant that served quality food. We didn't mind not having a free breakfast. Will stay again if we're in the area. Universal Studio's/City Walk is very close. If you wanted to visit Hollywood Blvd., it's within walking distance.

Stayed here back in February on a short visit to LA. I thought this hotel had a nice decor, and a great location, with a short 5 minute walk or 2 minute bus ride to Hollywood Blvd (there is a bus stop right in front of hotel). Also liked the room size and microwave/refrigerator was a plus. I'd definitely stay here again.

Best thing about this hotel is the location. It is a 10 min walk from Walk of Fame and Highland shopping plaza. 5-10 min Uber ride to Universal Studios (cost $6.12 at 10:30 am on a Thursday morning - light traffic. A bit more expensive ($13.00) return on Thursday night around 6:30 in heavy traffic. The room was clean and comfortable. Hotel was laid out like a 3-story motel with each room having direct access from outside. The restaurant in the hotel is called Spice and it was really good. Much more modern decor than the hotel itself. Very tasteful and cozy with fast and friendly service.

I stayed here for the third time recently while working nearby. I'm always pleased with my stay here but noticed some improvements and enhancements since my last visit. The shower heads seems bigger and more powerful. The attached restaurant and bar now delivers to your room for breakfast and also dinner (not open for lunch). I love the Coffeemakers and that they also provide tea in the rooms in addition to regular and decaf coffee. The fact that there's also a small fridge and microwave in each room is a big deal for me because I like to eat a certain way and this allows me to bring some of the food I need. The staff here is always extremely helpful and sincere when I have needed assistance. The rooms open to an outside hallway and some people prefer hotels that rooms only open to an interior hallway. To be honest I usually do too but this setup works just fine.

The place is a strategic location especially of you plan to specifically see Hollywood attractions as everything is either a few meters away by foot OR a few minutes by car. The staff are all friendly and helped set us up, are knowledgeable about the area and offers great suggestions (Nancy, you are awesome!). The hotel was great value for money, though no breakfast included (there's a restaurant at the G/F anyway and the walls between rooms were a bit thin. That said, this is a great place to comeback to and is ok considering the location its placed in. They also have their own city / attractions tour and hotel transfers which were a nice addition.

The front desk staff was extremely helpful especially the young man with specs.. (sorry i didn't get your name..). It is a charming hotel with interesting decorations that makes u feel totally in the hollywood holiday mood! sadly the place is abit run down and we did find a coachroach in the toilet upon check in! the shower hot water system was not consistent and takes quite a while to warm up. please also fix up the windows at the bathroom.. Still we did have a good night sleep as it is quiet and the beds were very comfortable. ..location is pretty awesome with good restaurants nearby as well as a supermarket.. i would recommend it...just check the room first...

We stayed here as we were told by our travel agent that it was close to everything. It was a 15 min walk down to the Hollywood strip. Very close to the super bowl so good for those types of events. It is in a very noisy location though with the LA traffic. The staff at the front desk were always so friendly and helpful. The entrance is modern but the rooms are very outdated. The cleaning staff were good making sure the room was clean and tidy for our return after long days out. The property has a nice pool and spa area.

The hotel is a five to ten minute (maximum) walk to Hollywood Boulevard. It's in a great location close enough to walk to sights, shops and restaurants. However it's far enough away not to be bothered by the hustle and bustle. They have a good sized pool and hot tub for guests and a small area with sun loungers etc. If you wish to relax for a few hours. The rooms are a reasonable size and clean and tidy with, in room fridge microwave and coffee maker. All in all a great stay in a good location.

If you want to visit Hollywood Blvd, it will take to 5-10 minutes walking distance from the hotel. I was charmed by all the movie star pictures everywhere in this hotel, from the lobby to right inside your room. The room was nice, with a modern touch. Nice bathroom with double tile shower. Watch the bathroom window though, it has no locks. There is a nice restaurant/bar inside the hotel. I haven't tried it though, I preferred a nice small Sushi restaurant called "Sushishop USA" (5minutes wlk). I would visit again.

Needed a one night stay close to the Wilshire Ebell Theater at a decent price. Called ahead to let them know I would arrive late. Parking is $18 a night under the hotel. Decently appointed room, nothing fancy. Extremely clean. Comes with a small Keurig coffee machine. Lots of towels. Pretty quiet considering we were in Hollywood. Checkout was literally 5 seconds. Nice staff.

This was a trip to visit the Magic Castle in Hollywood and as usual I found the stay was up to my standards and even exceeded them. I would likely stay at this facility again because it was comfortable, close, and well priced

Hotel was clean and staff is very friendly and helpful. Parking is tight but expected given the location. Hot tub is a welcome sight after all-day walking. Rooms are insulated well enough to block most street noise. Location is convenient to Walk of Fame and short drive to Universal Studios.

Not only is this a nice hotel but it is centrally located to so many attractions. Within minutes you can be at the LA Zoo, Warner Bros. Studios, the beach and so many museums and other attractions. Being able to walk to Hollywood Blvd. is a big plus because you can go back and forth to the hotel.

This is a 3 star hotel, nothing fancy but the rooms were clean, bed & pillows comfortable. The room is on the small side, but we did not plan to do much other than to sleep there so it was okay. We felt safe walking to Hollywood Blvd to the Dolby and restaurants in the area. The internet worked just fine. My sister traveled with us and I did not catch that the beds were doubles not queens. It was not a problem since we are not big people, Gustavo at the front desk was excellent and very helpful!

We stayed one night with friends. The room was clean, good amenities included. The sound carried through the front wall/window, but otherwise it wasn't loud. The bed and pillows were just average - not the most comfortable but not the worst I've experienced, still able to sleep ok. The location is walking distance to the Hollywood Bowl and to the middle of Hollywood. I would recommend it for an affordable option super close to anything you want.

An excellence experience, the staff were professional, friendly and very informative. They gave us details of areas that we could walk to and enjoy, away from the crowds. We felt like we were at home away from home and that we have a new family.

Very good option when you go to Universal Studios (around 10 minutes) or LA in general, it is clean, relatively quiet and has its own parking lot although it comes at an extra fee, ladies at front desk were kind and always eager to help, finally the room was spacious, has all the needed things in place and were always clean, I'll definitively come back

Room: room was ok. There was only one place to put luggage (we had two). The beds and pillows were alright, no complains. On the last day, I found a piece of hair stuck to the door frame...was unpleasant to see. Staff: friendly. We didn't interact with them as much, just for checking in and out. Location: definitely not ideal. The hotel is facing Highland N and about 1km to the Walk of Fame. Cars are constantly driving past, no matter the time of day. It is really noisy. During our stay, there must have been a dumpster that was being cleaned out because I heard a loud boom at 4am. When a large vehicle passes by, the bed vibrates. Parking: $20 USD/ day Would not recommend.

Last minute vac reserved this Best Westen Hollywood Plaza INN. Location was great 7 minutes to Universal Studios. And one block away from Stars Walk of Fame and Chinese Theater. Sunset avenue had lots of dinning restaurants and fast foods if needed. Lots of gift shops around this locations and eazy to get back to Highway 101North or South.Pool area was clean and so was the inside and outside of Hotel.

Our stay at western was by far our best stay in entire west coast as rooms were comparatively spacious , had a huge tv and state of the art bathroom! A complete hotel in every sense! Was just5 min. Walk from Hollywood Boulevard street!

My son & I traveled from NJ for the Morrissey Hollywood Bowl show. This was perfect to go to the show! The room was large, beds were comfortable, there was a small refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. The hotel has a small pool (didn't use due to cold temperatures) and short walk to Hall of Fame and an outside "mall" for eating & watching people. The night before we had to leave, a transformer blew and the hotel was without power past our departure the next day. It was cold in the room, but the covers kept us plenty warm. Not too happy about the inability to take a shower in the a.m. but couldn't be helped. I spoke with the manager a few days after our return and he could not have been nicer and more professional. If we ever go back to see that area, I will definitely stay here again. It had everything we needed. Take an Uber from LAX. It was simple.

This hotel was a bit under my expectation as I chose this one from expedia comparing to sheraton with 20 bucks higher in price. The hotel has 3 level floors with window next to the door. You could hear people walking around your room. I could smell an odor during my stay. Bathroom was short for sink, tub and toilet. I don't know why it's kind of lower level than the standard which made water splashing out when you use it. After finish showering, I felt plenty of water on the floor. When I was back at 9 p.m. I found a paper on the bedroom telling me that the power shutdown will start 12 am and will be back again at noon! So surprise with this short notice. I had to stay all night without air condition and no hot water.

This hotel is in a very convenient location for sightseeing and is just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the walk of fame. The hotel itself has great facilities, the pool always looked clean and towels were provided and the free WiFi was a great bonus. The room was a good size and very clean. All of the staff were very helpful and accommodating with any queries too. The only issue I had was from the noise from the road, not really the hotels issue but if you are a light sleeper (even with ear plugs) then this could be an issue for you too. The room was at the back of the hotel by the pool and the noise from the road was still really loud at all times of the day or night. Other than the road noise I can't fault the hotel in any way and it was good value for this area of Hollywood.

Staff was so nice. Wifi was working well. Clean. Nice location in the center of Los Angeles and walking distance to the touristy places. I didn't have a car and Ubered everywhere. There's a 24 hours convenience store and 24 hour subway within walking distance.

Parking is real tight and they charge you 18.00. If you have anything bigger than a pickup, you better go elsewhere. No truck parking. Even a pick up is very hard to park.Other than that, it's a great place to stay . nice and clean. good staff. central location.

I wasn't sure what to expect from a hotel in Hollywood, but I was pleasantly surprised by the accommodations. We chose this hotel due to how close it was to the Hollywood Bowl. It made parking and walking to the concert easy. It was nice to just head back to the hotel instead of fighting parking lot traffic and having a long drive home. After check-in we walked across the street to grab sandwiches at Subway and beverages at the little liquor store. The room did have a fridge and a microwave, so we bought additional sandwiches to eat post-concert. The hotel is close enough that one could walk to Hollywood & Highland, but depending on the time of day - I'd probably Uber it back. I won't shy away from concerts at the Hollywood Bowl now that I know of this little gem.

One of the worst experiences in a hotel room that I have ever had. Manager super rude and cut me off. The power went out from 10pm -9am. We weren't offered a discount of any kind. Everyone else was offered a complimentary breakfast and I wasn't. I called back to ask why I was charged so much on my card and manager ended up arguing with me instead of listening to my needs which made me really frustrated. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone I know .

We had such a great experience! We went to a MORRISSEY CONCERT and wanted to make our experience as stress free as possible! Everything was perfect. The large, clean room was so roomy, there was a fridge and micro, super comfy bed, mirrors everywhere, a couch and the best location! We will be staying here again!

The room is great, clean, modern and bead was firm but you could feel some springs. We went to concert at Hollywood bowel and we were surprised that the Bar did not sell hard liquor, on wine and beer. After the concert again we were surprised that the restaurant closed at 10PM well before the end of the concert.

This was a nice property to stay. Parking is charged for however and this daily charge can take a bite out of a budget so be prepared. The pool spa was great. Rooms clean, comfy, professional. Would stay again when in the area

We stayed 2 nights, October 27, and 28. We went to the Linkin Park concert at the Hollywood Bowl. We walked an easy 5 minutes to, and from the Hollywood Bowl from this hotel. We felt safe here, even though it's not a super great area. We walked 10 minutes to the Walk of fame which was kind of gross , sad to say, and another 5 or 10 minutes down to an In N Out burger on Sunset Blvd. Lots of tourists are walking around everywhere in this area daytime. We took a 5 minute Uber ride to Universal Studios, this is not walkable. We ate breakfast in the hotel restaurant which was very good! The man behind the bar, the only waiter was very nice and helpful. the front desk staff were very nice and friendly. The room was very clean, and comfortable. The Wi-Fi, shower, tv, and A/C all worked perfectly. We would stay here again.

We picked this hotel since it was minutes away from Universal Studios. We stayed after having a blast at the Hollywood Horror Nights in Universal Studios, and check in was very professional (Front Desk Agent Gustavo). Very nice gentlemen and answered all my questions. Our stay was very horrible unfortunately. The beds are rock hard. People next to us were partying and smoking Mary Jane next to us which we had most the smoke. My husband heard loud music playing, but the front desk didn't seem to care AT ALL. At check out my husband is telling the agent about our horrible stay and all she says is NOTHING! Not even a "sorry". I work in hotel business as a Supervisor and that service was unacceptable. Whoever printed out my receipt in the morning needs training! Since my husband isn't the type to really complain i sure did. All in all i will never stay here at this property.

Quirky and comfortable hotel. Can tell it is an older hotel, but rooms were clean and comfortable. I loved the decor in the main lobby. There is a pool. The restaurant downstairs is amazing and open really late. We highly enjoyed how conveniently close this hotel was to Hollywood Blvd. Everything was walking distance. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Staff is wonderful. I believe her name was Marcie. She was very helpful and accommodating. Hotel was clean and renovated. I would recommend staying at this Best Western. The place is great and staff is always helpful with a great personality. This place is walking distance to the Hollywood Bowl were we went to a concert.

The room was very clean. The bed was very comfortable, even though it was really close to a major road you couldn't hear anything felt safe, plus really close (walking distance) to Hollywood blvd. also theHollywood Bowl is just up the road

The service at the desk was good. Room was clean. It is an older hotel that is actually a motel - outdoor entrances to the rooms. It is an older hotel so nothing fancy. The location is decent a few blocks off the Walk of Stars. If you want this area and need to save money, it is fair as the area is a bit expensive. But for what I would pay for this quality in other areas, it is overpriced. Just know what you are getting.

Within walking distance to the Hollywood Bowl and Hollywood Boulevard! Nearby is the Dolby theater, Graumans Chinese theater,Jimmy Kimmel Live show. Room was clean and comfortable. Fridge,microwave, Keurig, outdoor pool and hot tub. Staff was attentive and friendly. Loved the ice water in the lobby! No breakfast provided, not what we are used to from Best Western. There is also a $18 parking fee.

This is a Motel 6 that probably has not been renovated since the 1970's at an outrageous price of $250.00/night. It has made me a lifetime member of the "never again in a Best Western Motel." The room (carpet?) room looked and smelled unclean (carpet??) the lavatory was in the bedroom vs. the bathroom, next to a microwave and a small coffee maker. The facial tissue ran out when needed, but the water to take a shower was hot. One of the worst experiences ever had. I hardly ever write a review but this was a compelling reason to write one. Sorry for the bad report.

Tried to overcharge us $115.50 and blamed hotels.com for not posting the correct price. Also tried to charge us parking when we didn't even have a car. Manager argued with us for several minutes saying that's the websites mistake until finally refunding our card and saying he was only doing it because a line was forming behind us at the counter and could see other guests were listening to the conversation.

Convenient and nice place to stay if you are going to a concert at the Hollywood Bowl. Also walking distance to Hollywood Blvd and Sunset. The staff is wonderful and the rooms and beds are comfortable. I would stay there again.

Spotlessly clean and well maintained. The only downside is dated rooms. If you visit the Hollywood bowl, this is the place to stay. Parking is an additional $18. Walking distance to Hollywood and Highland as well as the bowl. The staff is efficient and helpful; zero problems during my visit.

The rooms are cramped. The beds are the hardest I've slept on. The street noise is unavoidable, but the door and window did nothing to help. The walls and ceiling are thin, you can hear everything. The AC was horribly loud, as was the toilet and shower.

Great location near Hollywood Bowl and Hollywood. Fantastic location 10 min walk from the Hollywood Bowl. Cheaper than the Hilton Garden Inn and Holiday Inn Express next door. In-house restaurant Spice has excellent breakfast and was opened for beers after the show and playing the featured band's (Depeche Mode) music all day long so great pre-show ambience too.

We cam in from out of town to attend the Janet Jackson concert at the Hollywood Bowl. The Best western was just a few steps away. Good Service and helpful staff. Enjoyed the concert and our stay in Hollywood.

Stayed for a concert at the Hollywood Bowl, took 7 minutes to get to our seats! Took 10 minutes to walk to shopping, Hardrock Cafe, so much fun. Fabulous staff! We will be going next month for another concert.

If your going to Hollywood stay at this hotel. We need affordable accommodations for overnight and longer stays to visit our daughter in school without breaking the bank with overpriced hotels. The staff was very helpful and kind. The rooms we're big enough and clean. We've paid a lot more for a lot less so we are very happy to have found the BW in Hollywood. We will definitely stay here the next time we are in town.

This is located on a busy road, but we were surprised at how quiet the rooms were. Room were clean, but on the small size for a family. The bathroom was really small too. Staff were friendly and helpful when we asked questions about getting to several place and what were the best options. The TCL theatre and Hollywood walk of fame was 10 minute walk, with lots of dinning options to. I suggest to get a room further back from the road if you want a quiet room. There was car park on site for $17 per night

The hotel was good, service good, parking spaces are tight. The location is great. You can walk to Hollywood Blvd, shopping mall, restaurants, clubs, entertainment, etc... However, lots of traffic around this hotel due to location. Overall, I would stay there again.

Great location, lovely big clean rooms with all the amenities you could need. All the staff were friendly, stayed for 5 nights. Used the pool and hot tub most afternoons, very clean and well kept. Will definitely be returning!

Room design is a little old, aircon couldnt stop blowing the curtains so we had to leave something there to make sure no peeping possible. We are definitely not used to having a big window beside the door. Great amenities - Coffee machine, Fridge and even microwave ! Friendly reception and fresh lemon water for you to refill daily.

Perfect place to stay before a concert. Spice Restaurant has an excellent meal and quick service. The hotel was comfortable and a 5 minute walk to the Hollywood Bowl. Checking in and out was quick and we were able to enter and exit the hotel parking with no issues.

We visited this hotel on a 3 day trip to Los Angeles so after Las Vegas was a great surprise the staff very pleasent check in quick and efficient room itself contained coffee,tea microwave,fridge none of which was available at the MGM Grand we was only about 10 minute uber ride from universal studios and 20 minute walk to the Hollywood walk of stars what more could you want would definitely stop there again

Basic hotel, probably 3 star. Good for a one or two night stay, clean and located within 5-10 minutes walk of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre, Hollywood Bowl, etc. Convenience Stores located very close as well.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel, it is in a very close location to Hollywood Boulevard and the overall facilities were clean and functional. However the hotel is quite old and is expensive in this regard. We also felt that having to pay for parking AND for breakfast was excessive. Even though the hotel is in a very popular tourist destination making guests pay for everything is not something we feel is synonymous with the best western experience and we were disappointed by this. At least offer EITHER free parking or free breakfast.

Came to LA for the Tom Petty concert. Hotel is in a super location--walking distance to Hollywood Bowl, Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre, good restaurants, etc. Nice pool and hot tub also. The hotel was very clean.

Overall good experience. I did have a tough time getting to sleep because of the noise from the cars driving by. I enjoyed the on-site restaurant. Overall customer service was great quality. I would stay here again.

The Best Western Hollywood Plaza is well positioned to enjoy the Walk of Fame and access to the main points of interest are easy to get to, i.e, the Tarpits and Warner Bros Studio Tour are a easy drive away. Parking at the hotel is easy although at additional cost, but that is a common theme for other hotels. For those interested in music events. It is a few minutes wall from the Hollywood Bowl. The restaurant offers a decent breakfast and evening meals are convenient if you have had a full day and don't want to go out again. Overall excellent.

I booked a king room with a jetted tub, and it was worth every penny! My room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Staff was friendly and courteous. The hotel is in the perfect location, just a 10-minute walk to Hollywood Blvd where you can pick up tour buses, see the Chinese Theater, the Dolby Theater, and Madame Tussaud's.

The hotel is located in very busy area, you can hear all the noise from street, they should invest in new windows in order to charge rates like they do now , but they are far from value from what they offer!!!

Stayed here for five nights and we were so busy we didn't really spend a lot of time in the room. Rooms are a little dated but bed was comfortable, had a fridge, aircon and complimentary wifi. Location is good, very close to Hollywood walk of fame. Also super close to Hard Rock Café and California Pizza Kitchen which both serve good food. 10 minute drive to Universal, I would use Uber ($6-7 each way)- the hotel offer a shuttle but that is $20pp. We also went to Six Flags, which I would highly recommend and that was $27-30 each way in an uber and about a 40min drive. We didn't use the metro as we find uber a lot easier so used it to get everywhere e.g. rodeo drive, santa monica etc but I am sure the staff would have explained the metro had we wanted to use it. Staff were helpful and polite when we required anything e.g. shuttle service back to airport ($37) and booking Universal tickets. It isn't a luxury hotel but is a good price for the area and was ideal for our stay.

Awesome location if your going to universal. Uber for four people cost us $6.00. Staff very helpful and their customer services A+. Rooms very clean and everything worked. Starbucks at the corner about 200 feet away.

This is the best location to be for visiting Hollywood. Parking is $18 a night extra and not secured or undercover. The staff is good and the rooms are clean and spacious but they have no PPV movies, room fans and the cooling system just goes off and on and wakes you up. They tried to glass in the road side of the hotel but still have a lot of street noise and the guests coming in at all hours at night are literally in your room it is so loud. Bring ear plugs and a fan with you for the best stay in Hollywood.

Nice friendly hotel with helpful staff. When you arrive you can have a nice cup of cucumber or orange water. Rooms are dated but are clean. Basic amenities include iron, hairdryer, microwave and fridge. Perfect place to sleep, shower and go. Room service is great. 5-10mins walk to the famous Hollywood boulevard. On site restaurant (Spice) serving breakfast lunch and dinner...never ate there. However there are plenty of shops around serving food and drinks including Subway, Starbucks, 7 eleven to name but a few. Separate from the hotel I highly recommend buying a star line city sightseeing hop on hop off ticket, which can be valid for 24, 48 or 72 hours. There are several routes servicing the greater LA area including film studios, Santa Monica, Venice beach Beverly Hills downtown LA etc. All in all would stay here again.

We stayed here for 4 nights as couples/family in 4 sleeping per room. Rooms had everything we needed from fridge to coffee maker. Pool and jacuzzi were lovely after a long day, staff really friendly. Hotel is 5 minutes walk from Chinese theatres, walk of fame, shops etc. 10 min drive to universal. Perfect for exploring, would stay again if i was in the area especially compared to the price of other hotels in same area.

Lcation very handy. Short walk to walk of fame and Metro Stn. Good value. Location near main road so if you are noise sensitive like me, use earplugs. Rooms a little dated but very clean and fully serviceable. Comfortable beds. Aircon, TV, all facilities modern and work well. I would recommend this motel.

I have been staying at the Best Western Hollywood Plaza Inn for several years each Labor Day weekend. The price is good, the rooms clean and comfortable and a short walk to the annual film festival that brings me to Hollywood.

This hotel may appear decent from the outside, but I assure you, once you step inside you will be disgusted. The room smelled like a combination of raw sewage and stale cigarette smoke and gave the vibe that whoever manages the place, simply, does not care about their guests' experience.

The hotel is in a good location if you don't mind a short walk to Hollywood Boulevarde. Hotel rooms are over priced for what they are. There isn't enough parking. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Although on a main road, I didn't notice a lot of traffic noise once in my room

Quiet, Good food at hotel restaurant. Room needs updating but overall satisfied. I stayed one night and left early in the AM... I do not usually stay at outdoor corridor properties however this one was better than most even on a noisy street like Highland. I will stay again if i get a good rate!

This hotel has a great location, but we have become accustomed to the BW Plus style. This has more of a "motel" feel to it, and the beds were not that comfortable. Good place, with great location if you need a place to crash.

Being a Best Western loyalty club member, at arrival I was offered a room upgrade and earlier check-in and a gift package, all of which were very pleasant. The room was immaculately clean and everything worked perfectly. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel is situated a short walk of few blocks to the most popular part of Hollywood Blvd. The parking on-site is convenient and safe. There is a swimming pool and a restaurant. Everything that we needed!

If you're looking for a hotel that is centrally located and close to everything, this is it. It's on a very busy, noise road but, it is a 10min. walk to Hollywood walk of fame, Dolby theatre & Chinese theatre, as well as walking distance to Hollywood Bowl. I always stay at Best Western's but, I felt this one was lacking in certain areas. The room, especially the bathroom could use a little updating. Air conditioning in the room is very noisy as well as the sound coming from the pipes whenever shower is being used by people in other rooms. The staff was very pleasant. Even though the hotel does not offer free Continental breakfast, we did eat at the restaurant for breakfast and dinner on the premises (Spice Restaurant) and enjoyed the food. So in summary, if you're looking for a budget hotel that is centrally located and within walking distance to attractions this is it. If you're looking for something a little more fancy in a better area all around, then I would stay outside of Hollywood and drive in instead.

We arrived at this hotel in the middle of the night after a different reservation fell through. We were tired and cranky, and the guy at the front desk was really helpful and nice and made sure our stay started on the right foot. The rooms are clean, quiet, and have everything you need. The hotel is super close to the Hollywood blvd. with lots of nightlife, supermarkets, and food options within a close walking distance. We have stayed in a room facing the street, and had absolutely no problem with any noise.

This hotel is in a brilliant location as you can walk to the Hollywood walk of fame, Dolby theatre & Chinese theatre in less than 10 minutes. You can park your car easily, there is a pool & jacuzzi, the rooms are clean with a/c, hair dryer, shower, all the usual stuff. The Hollywood Bowl is just up the road. The staff are good. There is a restaurant called Spice on site where you can get a meal. It's the other side of the city from the airport but worth it.

This was a great themed hotel 5 minutes away from Universal Studios. Comfortable beds, good AC, friendly staff, nice restaurant and a cute little mini bar on the main floor. I would definitely stay here again!

Very clean, un-fancy hotel at a very good price (esp. for LA) that was steps away from the Hollywood Bowl. Nothing bad to say about this place - easy to find, easy to park (free), clean room with great a/c - we even had a tasty breakfast in the restaurant beside the lobby.

We booked two rooms mainly because we wanted to be walking distance to the Hollywood Bowl. Location turned out to be better than we expected for this venue. Although a little bit of a hike, this location was good not only for the Hollywood bowl but for going to Hollywood boulevard and all the shops and walk of fame stars etc. We all felt very safe here and safe while walking to the nearby attractions. Only negative issue we had was it was a bit noisy. Rooms were clean & nice and entire staff we encountered here were very friendly and helpful. Beds were a bit too firm, but all in all this was a great place to stay. It is located on a main street, but then again this is LA and traffic is just a thing period. When we stay again will request 3rd floor rooms,they do have elevators and back of buildings. Good job BW!

My stay at the Best Western Hotel in Hollywood was very enjoyable. This trip was a family vacation and we booked two rooms. The pool is very nice and attractive. The hotel is very clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. We were pleased to be able to use the lobby computer for personal business and to print out our boarding passes. I highly recommend this hotel for visiting Hollywood and would stay here again.

We stayed at the Best Western Hollywood Plaza Inn because it was well situated within walking distance to the Hollywood Bowl where we were attending an outdoor concert. The hotel is clean, well-maintained, and a good example of an older motel-type property that is well cared for. The only negative we found was that the room we were in had "double" beds, and we found those quite small. The rooms certainly seem big enough to accommodate queen beds which seem to be the standard bed size in most hotels these days. The hotel offered fair value, given its prime location near the Bowl and Walk of fame areas.

had an amazing stay at the hotel. Staff were amazing, friendly, helpful and always smiling and went out of way to assist. rooms decent and clean. would def recommend this hotel and would try different best westerns at other places. the hotel was a short walk to Hollywood Boulevard.

I hated this hotel. Double beds room was very small and dark, dreary. It was clean enough. Parking tight. Lobby very small. No coffee or continental bkfst included. The restaurant was very good for breakfast though. This is not a hotel in the usual sense. It was really a 3 story motel, rooms accessed from outside. Stay at larger hotel.

For the price we paid in comparison with the other best westerns on our trip, we thought this would be the swankiest one of them all, but it turned out to be quite the opposite. It was the grungiest one yet, air conditioners leaking into buckets in the hallways, dead bugs under the mattress. The absolute worst part was the whole floor shook from about 5:30am onward. It felt like mini earthquakes while on the bed, I couldn't sleep at all. Had to try and pile all the pillows on the bed in a makeshift mattress to try and minimize the vibrations, it didn't work well, and my backs still sore days later. The maid service ignored our do not disturb sign, knocking on the door while we were inside, we told them we didn't need it, but they came back while we were out. Took the towels we hung up to use again (so much for the water saving program), and knocked my charger out of the wall so when I returned my tablet was dead. The restaurant wasn't much better. Not only was this the only hotel to not over a free breakfast, when we got our coffee in the morning the waiter took a half used creamer from the un-bused table next to us and gave it to us to use (disgusting)! This place was overall awful, and I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy. Never staying here again.

Hotel was clean and staff was friendly and helpful. Attractions were close by. Walking was accessible to many places and uber was readily available at all times of day or night to places that were too far to walk. Prices were reasonable too. Restaurant had great food and staff was friendly and warm.

If you love old So Cal style, this hotel is really charming. Go for the full breakfast included or walk across the street to Starbucks. Lovely pool, great service. This was our third visit. Great location for Hollywood Bowl events. Service was awesome too!

Ideal location for to visit hollywood bowl and Universal studios. Visited Hollywood bowl for 4th july concert and independence day celebrations. The bowl is only a 5 minute walk. Get a 10 minute taxi to Universal studios. Very comfy beds, clean and tidy.

It was a fantastic trip and I am doing this survey for a family friend, dear Sandeep Uncle who went out of his way to make sure I had a great birthday and fun in the California sun full of wild adventures and made sure I was safe the whole time. It was a pleasure :)

Be careful staying at the Hollywood Plaza Best Western, the beds are pretty hard, the elevators have issues and YOU HAVE TO PAY TO PARK THERE.....I can't follow the logic in this, since by any thoughts, you should want to park where you are staying, so they got you by the B**** ore or less, an extra payment that you should not have to make......

I travel for music! I visited LA for the Queen + Adam Lambert shows at the Hollywood Bowl. I chose this hotel because it was close to the metro and the HB. It was so close that it was an easy walk! The location was great. The hotel was also great! The structure is older...but they have done everything they can do to make this a great place to stay. The room was super clean, had EVERYTHING I needed for my stay (safe, microwave, mini fridge were the extras that I really liked), and the bed/bedding were very comfortable. The AC worked great! The staff was welcoming, helpful, and very professional. There is a nice pool - I didn't swim, but I enjoyed sitting outside. There's also a small bar/restaurant called Spice. I had dinner and breakfast there and drinks after the show. Good food and very friendly staff. The only problem I did have was getting connected to the internet....but the desk staff was very helpful and my problem was solved. I think the problem was more with me than with their internet. If I ever attend another concert at the Hollywood Bowl, this will be the place that I stay.

The hotel is an easy walk to and from the Hollywood Bowl, restaurants and site seeing. Everyone was very attentive and professional. Clean rooms, nice AC and lots of special amenities. Keurig, frig, micro.

The hotel was clean and looked to be recently refurbished. The bed was comfortable and the bathrooms clean. Could not here the noise from Highland avenue. This was the best hotel for attending a concert that the Hollywood Bowl, which is just a block down the street. Close choices for meals along with a restaurant at the hotel

Great location to the Hollywood Bowl Rooms were very clean. Beds are great. Street traffic wasn't as noisy as we thought it would be. Prices were understandably higher than other Best Westerns but a lot lower than the surrounding hotels. Even the parking was good. Plenty of spaces and no extra charges. This Hotel will be our go-to spot for Hollywood Bowl concerts.

Excelletn stay and wonderful front desk staff. Walking distance to the Hollywod Bowl. Restaurant in the lobby has good food and can take out for the concert. Room has strong water pressure, good cold AC and was exceptionally clean. Easy in and out parking. We would stay hewre again.

We chose this hotel as it is very close to universal studios. The rooms are spacious and the coffee shop has good food. There is a supermarket, subway and pizza restaurant walking distance from the hotel.

This hotel was in the perfect location for our three night visit to LA. The rooms were clean, spacious and well appointed with a fridge, microwave and safe.The staff were friendly and helpful. It was an easy walk to Hollywood Boulevard and there are numerous places to eat close to the hotel, since we were travelling with our 4 year old, the proximity to everything was perfect!. We had lots of luggage so the front desk helped us organize our airport transfer which was much appreciated. We would recommend the hotel!

This is a very nice basic hotel in a great location.. the staff are quite friendly and very helpful.. the beds are comfortable it has a great pool and spa and the hotel is family friendly the only downside is they have an expresso machine instead of tea and coffee and it's a pain to work

I have 2 issues with this inn. Housekeeping and the papaya soap. We stayed 4 nights and every time we came back to our room after being gone from 9 a.m. to 3 or 4 pm our room was never made. The towels were gone and that is all housekeeping had done. First time, I called down thinking they had forgotten our room. They finally sent someone up and our room was ready at 4:15 p.m. Next day our room was done but we had no towels. Had to find housekeeping to give us towels. Third day room once again not made up and no towels. Called front desk and was informed they had to 5 p.m. to clean our room. I received attitude from the front desk saying I couldn't possibly have had an issue every day. Okay we spent a lot of money to stay here and our room was basically useless until late in the afternoon. The inn had a papaya soap. By the end of the 4th day I broke out in a rash from the soap. My legs turned bright red and terrible itching. The only good thing about this place was that we were toward the back and it was quiet.

A superb hotel just behind the walk of fame, Chinese theatre etc. (5min walk) Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was spotless. Not a big room but perfect to rest your head after a busy day. Restaurant on site was really good but across the road there was a subway and other places to eat that were a cheaper option.

Location, Location, Location. I attend a two day event at the Hollywood Bowl every year and this is the closest hotel to the Bowl. I has everything I need. Love the vibe and the staff. Very helpful and caring.

This was a last-minute reservation after a smaller hotel did not have disabled accommodation. To our absolute delight, the personal service was top-notch--especially with assisting my husband who walks with a cane. They assigned us to a nice king suite behind the hotel, close to the rear elevator, which was very convenient as well as quiet. The room was sparkling clean and fresh, and the entire staff was friendly. Will go there again!

All staff were very helpful in getting me parked, checked in and checked out. Really enjoyed my stay. Rooms were clean and location is fantastic. Would definitely stay here again. I had no idea what to expect, and was very pleasantly surprised.

The location of the hotel is excellent but the hotel is highly average. Rooms are also average. The staff is very helpful. Specially Mr. Jainish was of great help. Not worth the money. It is a 2 star hotel.

All in all, our stay here was very nice. No complaints about the room, as it was clean and comfortable. It is walking distance from the Hollywood Bowl (which be mindful also causes traffic getting to the hotel and there are hoarded of people and cars that make it hard to walk before and after shows). The hotel is located only a short walk from Hollywood Blvd. and shopping. Also a very short drive to Universal Studios. The only reason I am not giving the hotel 5 stars is because it is a little pricey and they do not have free breakfast. The later I should have known going in, but I thought all best westerns had free breakfast. They did have a little restaurant and the breakfast there was good. Overall, definitely a solid 4 star stay and I would recommend this hotel to others. I should also mention that all the staff were very friendly and accommodating throughout my whole stay.

Great night in Hollywood... Walked to the Hollywood Bowl. So quiet. Comfortable mattress. Room was spotlessly clean and nicely decorated. Staff was excellent and so polite. Do be fooled by the old exterior. This place is a very nice, location friendly place to stay.

This hotel is very close to all amenities We had a room on 3rd floor 2 double beds.Room was cleaned daily with beds and towels changed also The only downside to the hotel was the restaurant We decided to have dinner there on night and were very disappointed Firstly they did not have the wine we wished ,then no salmon. Once we ordered meal we were enjoying our glass of wine meal was served and then the waitress proceeded to lock the doors saying she had to leave by 20.40. Before we had finished meal she had given us the bill never to ask did we wish a dessert we felt she was very rude and made us feel very unwelcome

Great location, within walking distance to Hollywood Blvd. Good value, clean rooms, friendly staff. Pool area and jacuzzi were nice. In room wifi was easy to connect to. Parking can be tricky but manageable.

We ended our route 66 trip in this hotel. Well located just a short walk from the Hollywood walk of fame and a short drive from the observatory. We also travelled to some beaches from here; which didn't take too long despite LA traffic. Room had everything you needed for a short stay and the pool/jacuzzi looked good even though we didn't use it. Car park is a bit tight and small; and price is quite steep for guests! You are lucky to get a space at busy times. Only downside is that our car window was smashed on the last night. The LAPD were called but they didn't want to do anything about it, despite evidence on camera showing a fellow guest breaking into our car! Although this didn't give a great end to our trip; the hotel manager was very very helpful. He showed us the CCTV footage and gave us food and water for our onward journey. I couldn't fault him and his staff for this!

We stayed here with some friends recently and had a great time. All the staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and a good size with comfy beds, TV, wardrobe, bar fridge, coffee maker and decent sized bathroom. The complimentary Wifi especially came in handy travelling with friends. The hotel is a short stroll to convenience stores and about 5 minutes to the Hollywood boulevard and shopping complex.

Very friendly staff. Room was big and very clean. Beds were so comfortable. Had a lovely restaurant for breakfast and evening meals and a good selection on menu. There wasn't much we didn't like really apart from being right on the end of a busy Highway. However it was only a five minute walk to Hollywood Boulevard and there was traffic lights on the road so it was pretty safe. In all very central to everything. Ten minutes to Universal Studios. Would definitely stay there again.

Absolutely wonderful. Had a 14hr flight from Australia and when I got there , they found a vacant room that I could check in to and sleep because I was exhausted. And this happened 6 hours before check in.

Older hotel but updated and clean. Nice small restaurant downstairs, serving breakfast and dinner. Great location in Hollywood and a great value compared to other hotels in the area. Front desk was professional and courteous. Wild stay again if staying in Hollywood.

Loved our stay only a 8 min walk to the boulevard was quiet no loud noises room was cleaned everyday staff were very friendly and helpful Only thing needed is a clothes airer in room to hang wet towles out other than that would definitely stay again and recommend

This hotel is the perfect location for a night at the Hollywood Bowl! Staff was friendly, room was clean and the bed comfortable. It was a bit noisy outside, but it was a Saturday night in downtown Hollywood.

Stayed here for 3 nights, great check in, the girls at the front desk went out of there way to help, we had been travelling for 20 hours so they got us an early check, which was much appreciated. Room was great nice and clean, it was great to have a coffee maker and fridge in the room, hotel is situated close to attractions, there is a good little shop and Starbucks close by. Restuarant was great for breakfast and evening meal, enjoyable stay

Chose this Best Western because of proximity to Hollywood Bowl. Excellent location and set up well for any bowl show, would highly recommend. Only downside is onsite restaurant got really busy after show and was somewhat loud for room located nearby.

Perfect location to stay at for the Hollywood Bowl and surrounding points of interest. My husband & I have Summer Series tickets at the Bowl and we've been staying at this property for 2 years rather than trying to drive back to the OC after a show. As soon as my tickets are booked, so are my rooms at this Best Western.

We had we enjoyed our stay, the hotel staff was great and food in the restaurant was very good. If we ever return to LA we would stay at this hotel again. It was a very convent locations for the Hollywood it was just a short walk to Hollywoood Blvd and the walk of fame. It was easy to take our tours that started onHollywood BLvd.

Took a group of exchange students to Hollywood for an overnight stay. The hotel is situated two blocks from the boulevard. We had an amazing stay at Best Western in Hollywood Ca! I've used this hotel when I take a group to Hollywood!!

We needed a place near the Dolby theater. Good hotel and a 5 minute walk. It was good to park and not contend with traffic once we got there. The staff was very attentive. Overall it was reasonably priced as well.

Very close to Universal Studioes $6.70 by uber from 2011 Highland Ave Hollywood. Wanted somewhere to put our head down. We didn't get a change to try out the pool and spa. Very close to Hollywood walk of fame and kodak theater. Planet Hollywood is a good place to eat, subway is also across the road from the Hotel.

Walking distance to Hollywood Blvd attractions. Stayed in room 312 (very close to the street) and did not have any noise/distractions from the street as I had previously read in some reviews. This is a motel, not a hotel, but room was very clean including the bathroom. Room is small but about right for a motel. There is no continental breakfast; there is a restaurant attached to the motel but VERY expensive; there are other food places in walking distance - Subway, Pizza, McDonald's etc...Overall good experience, but could have been a little less expensive being a motel and not a hotel.

On the positive side, the hotel was very conveniently located, within walking distance of everything in Hollywood. The showers had great water pressure and fluffy towels, the staff was friendly, the Wi-Fi was super fast, and it was so much fun to watch the vending machines deliver water. On the negative side, the design of the hotel was dingy and depressing. It felt like the rooms were in the middle of a parking garage, because they were. The rooms were clean enough, but the decor was very low end.

Excellent position and value for money. Staff where very helpful. Lighting in the room could be better. Hotels never seem to have enough lighting. Mattresses need replacing - sag in the middle so you roll in towards the middle of the bed. Other than this, a great experience

Loved your accommodations had a great time. Clean and very accommodating with our requests. Parking was excellent And having a breakfast place like Spice was great coffee and breakfast. Location was right in the heart of Hollywood.

Old mattress were in the parking space.Plus there is limited parking. We were told we could could upgrade. That never happened. Then we were told we could receive a discount since we were not able to upgrade and of course that didn't happen either.

This hotel is very nice...lobby is a bit small. Restaurant is a bit slow but the food was worth it. Alcohol service could be later but they do serve beer and wine late so if you like it that is ok. The pool area is really nice and it is in a great location for walking to the stars. Loved the different flavoured waters in the lobby.

My boyfriend and me attended a conference in Hollywood nearby Best Western Hollywood Plaza Inn. Thisfind this hotel as very good. We had room with two big and comfortable beds. There were a refrigerator, TV and coffee machine in the room that we appreciated. Bathroom was nice and clean. Good service and we will definately come back again.

We were only in LA for two days on a stopover on the way to Hawaii so didn't want anything too expensive. I decided on a Best Western as I know the brand. I didn't have a car but the hotel is within walking distance of the Hollywood and Highland metro stations and also lots of buses and I had no problem getting around. The hotel booked tickets for universal studios and recommended a day at Santa Monica beach which were all reachable by public transport. It had a pool which I did not use and I only had breakfast once at the restaurant but it was just okay. Staff were friendly and professional. The only negative I had was when I moved the chair the floor had not been cleaned properly underneath. Overall a pleasant stay. If you don't have a car ask the staff for a TAP card which will allow you to us the buses and metro.

After checking in yesterday for 3 nights really wish i'd chose somewhere else. This is NOT at hotel it's a motel, we're in rm 202 and the noise from the road just outside is really loud. The room is outdated and stale, this is our 9th BW hotel at the end of a 3wk road trip of the west coast and it's certainly the worst and most expensive. Disappointing end to what's been an amazing trip.

We have just returned from LA and stayed at the Best Western Hollywood Plaza Inn, Hollywood. Excellent staff, excellent amenities, clean and well presented hotel. The rooms were cleaned every day and new towels put in rooms daily. The location of the hotel is ideal for visiting the main attractions of Hollywood. The staff were helpful, polite and friendly, whilst being professional. Will definitely be staying in Best Western hotels again and will recommend this one to anyone visiting LA.

Hotel is within walking distance of the hollywood blvd its very convnient becayse parking can be really expensive also universal studios are only few mile away Starbucks is near by and couple of restaurants. We loved it we will stay here next time we are in town

A great located hotel few minutes from holiwood blvd. Close to the subway. Very pleasent hotel with good service and clean rooms. Very good stuff doing their best to please amd make your stay pleasent. Missed a bigger place for nice breakfast but since it is close to everywhere, many choices and other pptions around.

Clean hotel with friendly staff. Small rooms but clean remote program, microwave, fridge, vending machines. close to variety of attractions incl walk of fame. Uber/lyft to universal was only $7. Near food places too.

This is a good Best Western. Good rooms, with all you need. Very attentive staff. Great on-site restaurant with a beer and wine bar, which serves excellent breakfasts and dinners. Two levels with an elevator. A few blocks above Hollywood Boulevard. Only downside was the $19.80 a night parking, which seems steep for a place like this, but that was outweighed by the restaurant, staff and service.

My overall experience @ Best Western was very good. Would recommend from cost perspective. My only negative is that in comparison to other hotel chains in the same category, they don't offer complimentary hot breakfast.

Room was absolutely spotless. Seriously, I could have been the first person who ever stayed there. The staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel is in a great location. The only negative is the $18 daily cost to park. This isn't a cheap hotel and while I found it to be worth the cost, I felt that parking should have been included for guests.

Rooms where nice and very clean, hotel very close to universal studios, and overall decent pricing. We ate at the restaurant on site, it's not directly with hotel. The restaurant was nice but the service wasn't; the guy didn't seem like he wanted to be there nor was he friendly. We only had breakfast once.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights before flying into Hawaii. What can I say. The room was huge and amazing had everything and more that we could of asked for. Bed was comfy and we slept really well In it the only thing we could of done with was a bigger/ thicker blanket. House keeping tided the room everyday to a really high standard everyday and really friendly and helpful. Reception staff were always to happy to help with anything. Asked for a late check out and they gave us to 12.30 and stored our bags till it was time to be picked up. I really can not fail them on there efforts to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. Restaurant is handy on site we had breakfast everyday and food was amazing. Recommend the ravioli! Staff where amazing making sure we had everything. All in all this place was really good for our rooms. I can and will definitely recommend this place

Fabulous stay. This hotel is everything far from Budget. Rooms are clean and comfy with SO MUCH SPACE.. Staff were fabulous and greeted us everytime we came through the door. Location was fabulous 5 mins from the BLVD and such a safe street and area !! Was a great way to finish my holiday

I Stayed there on sunday on 11/06/2016 It was a good stay it was close to everything in hollywood all in walking distants and close to the the metro if you want to explore more la. if your without a car. and even the beaches like santa monica and venice beach were the metro links go,,,the price is about avg price to what what the hotel charge around there .so if you go the weekend its gonna be higher than the weekdays,,, they do have a restraunt on site.. I never used it because there is ton of other food places that intrested me more nearbu,. the pool and jacuzzi were fine .. they both were very clean. the whole property was clean... the bed was comfy I stayed in a king sized room which was nice.... would I stay here again yes I would ... the only negative thing is that you have to pay for parking if you have a car and no free breakfast as most best western have.. they have a survey were they ask you to give you all 10's sorry I cant give all 10's unless you had free breakfast even if its contenantal or pay for parking... but other than that i would give it 7 out of 10

What a great location and an affordable price. If you are looking for something close to Hollywood, this is it. Yes the Best Western name sometimes doesn't mean good but it was one very well looked after hotel with very spacious rooms. Only 5 min walk to Hollywood Walk of Fame. Restaurant on site is great for breakfast and cheap and staff at this hotel are so helpful! The only thing, there was no tea in the room only coffee and as I am not a coffee drinker I had to go out and buy some. I was only here for 2 nights but when I travel back ill be staying here again. Thanks!

Nice hotel. Easy walking distance to and from Bowl. Less than a 7 minute walk. My 24 year old daughter and I went to the We Can Survive Concert. It was wonderful. Right off and on freeway. Safe area. Friendly staff. Nice and quiet room. Definitely stay again!

Super-conveniently located off the freeway and walking distance to the Hollywood Bowl. The room is small, but clean, and the bed was comfortable. Great staff. Nice little restaurant downstairs. Also close to some great tourist spots, Grauman's Chinese Theater, Walk of Fame, etc.

I chose this hotel based upon its vicinity to the Hollywood Bowl. I have never been to LA or the venue. This venue is literally right next to the Hollywood Bowl. Parking ranged from 20 to 40 bucks at other locations and hotel parking was 18. Checking in Glenda advised us our room was right next to the street, and asked if we wanted a room further back. We said it was alright. Getting to our room - there is a glass exterior to the rooms - and we could not hear any street traffic. We also sleep with the fan on too for white noise. Glenda called to check on us to make sure the room was satisfactory and we didn't want to change rooms; which it absolutely was. I will choose this hotel for my "go-to" if I am ever in need to get to the Hollywood Bowl again. Superb experience all around with location, costs, service, etc. Parking is tight, but its LA!

Its a simple but comfortable hotel. Nice people at the front desk and the best (taking into account that you are not an expensive hotel) it is 4 blocks away from Hollywood Boulevard and its main attraction. Clean and spacious rooms and an even better restaurant!

We enjoyed our stay at the Hollywood Plaza Motor Inn. The location was perfect, a walk to Hollywood Boulevard to all the attractions. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. The king size bed was so comfortable and the shower was great. Would recommend this hotel. The only negative was the noise coming from the people sitting outside the restaurant drinking. Otherwise, excellent!

Located within walking distance of the Hollywood Bowl and all of the touristy stuff, this is a great option to stay a few days. We had issues with noise from the bar and the front desk staff moved us to a quieter area. Only concerns were the maid service - we arrived back from a tour at 4:30 p.m. and the room had not been done. When they showed up at 5, they seemed disappointed that we did indeed want the beds made and the towels changed. The front desk staff were amazing though and helped us with tours, taxis and other recommendations.

We stayed in a king room on a Friday evening. Lobby: small, but clean & they're efficient with the check in. The front desk staff was friendly & knowledgeable about the area. Room: very clean, most everything worked fine. For some reason, the hot water valve for the bathroom sink had been turned off. I just turned it on, didn't report it. The shower worked really well--the water pressure was very high. The bed was soft for our preferences, but other than that it was fine. There's a restaurant attached to the lobby that has general cafe food, and serves beer & wine. We took a club sandwich to go, and it was very good, fresh meat, bread & lettuce. Two remarkably good notes: if you are attending an event at the Hollywood Bowl, it is a ten minute walk to your seat from the hotel. Second, it is surprisingly quiet if you take a room that is away from the street and the bar. Some people may not like the outside corridors, for us it wasn't an issue. There are a lot of security cameras, and we didn't see any rifraff anywhere on site. We didn't feel any concern for safety or security. Overall, if I see another show at the Bowl, I'll stay here. We paid about $250 with parking for the Friday night, totally worth it for the convenience & location.

A few friends and I booked this hotel on a whim last second. The location ended up being perfect, with a few quick food options in walking distance and the heart of Hollywood less than half a mile away. At no time did we feel unsafe and the room was very nice for the price we paid. The customer service was exceptional, with the front desk going out of their way to help us even after we had checked out and helped us figure out a ride to the airport. We were all very pleased with the trip and definitely credit the hotel to being a big part of making it successful!!

This Best Western is in a great location, with friendly staff, and comfortable rooms. Very reasonable prices for LA, further discounted if you sign up for BW Rewards program. Nice restaurant on-site is very convenient and will deliver to your room. A 10 minute walk to Hollywood Boulevard, with a pool and jacuzzi to relax after a day of site-seeing. If you are looking for a good value in Los Angeles with an established brand, this is a good choice. They also have more LA locations in other neighborhoods.

We stayed here for the 2nd time, great location. The room had been redone which was great, very clean. We used the pool area which was also very clean. It's also great as there is a fridge in the room. Only thing I would say is a safe in the room would be good. Would definitely stay again.

We booked this hotel (which is more of a motel) for 4 nights through CAA. When we arrived in the wee hours of the morning and checked in we felt very let down. The appearance, comfort and amenities in the room was completely lacking and did not reflect the almost $300 U.S. per night. The carpet was dirty and the room smelled musty. The room's door opened up to the outside and facing the parking. This alone also felt to be very unsafe. The only large window in the room was 2 feet from the bed right beside the corridor so you could not leave the drapes open because anyone walking by could look right into your room as they were passing in the corridor to their own rooms. Big problem since you basically can't ever open the drapes during your stay. So no sunlight! For a deluxe room it had 2 double beds instead of queen or king. There was little room for hanging and storing clothes and no safe to store valuables. We immediately checked out the following morning and checked in at another hotel a block away for less $ and superior quality. Sorry, but this place did not measure up!

This was an excellent find considering how expensive Hollywood hotels are. The service is great, the employees are pleasant and helpful. The highlight of our stay was the Spice Cafe. Great food and excellent service for a small tucked away eatery. Good sandwiches, good breakfast selections reasonably and comparably priced in this overpriced city.

Great location, 10 mins walk from the Hollywood Boulevard. Very helpful and friendly staff. Clean, compact, comfortable bed , clean bathroom, simple friendly accommodation.Fun things to see are just a short walk away, whether the Chinese Theater down the hill or the Hollywood Bowl. I will stay here again. Stayed September 2016.

We stayed here so we could walk to the Hollywood Bowl for a concert and were pleasantly surprised. Efficient staff, nice clean room and very quiet. The parking is really tight, so be prepared to jocky around a bit if you can find a spot. We noticed people without parking permits parking and going to the concert. The small restaurant/bar attached to the lobby is just adequate for food.

I googled hotels closest to the Hollywood Bowl and this one came up. I was flying in for a concert and had no idea where to stay. While this hotel may look dated on the outside, the people are helpful, they let me have an early checkin, told me how to get to the concert venue, and could not have been more helpful. The room was just what I needed: Clean, compact, comfortable bed, quiet location. I didn't come here for the pool (although there were people using it) and while the parking lot is a bit cramped, it is so nice to have someplace to park in Hollywood. Fun things to see are just a short walk away, whether the Chinese Theater down the hill or the Hollywood Bowl. I will stay here again.

Hotel was old and a little dated but the location was great and the service was nice and friendly. Stayed here for 3 nights in September and did enjoy our time, didn't get to try the restaurant/bar unfortunately as there are so many places within a 5min walk to try. Overall hotel was nice enough, bedding wasn't to bad and having a laundry was also a plus. For simple friendly accommodation I would recommend it.

Booked room for 5 nights through booking.com and got misled with lots of extra charges. Was supposed to be free parking but it was mandatory valet parking. Whole stay ended up costing $250 dollars more. When saw on credit card queried it and told tough.

Stayed here on our first trip to Hollywood/L.A. last month. We were here to see ELO at the Hollywood Bowl. This hotel is pretty cool as far as being .5 mile from the Hollywood Bowl and the same distance to Hollywood Blvd. Very convenient. Had a pleasant 2 night stay - pool was nice - room was O.K. Can't beat it for the money. I would probably stay again if we were here for a concert, but otherwise no plans to visit Hollywood again.

Would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit Los Angeles especially Hollywood Boulevard,which is 10 mins walk.Also we love eating at the Pig and Whistle which is nearby and serves excellent food and drink,

If you're looking for luxury, this isn't it. However, it's in a great location - 5 mins walk to Hollywood Boulevard. The hotel is a bit shabby, rooms could do with updating but they are clean and if you're going to explore Hollywood and surrounding areas and only really sleeping there, then it serves it's purpose very well. The staff are very friendly and the food served in the restaurant is really good with lots of choice. The little swimming pool is an added extra. I would recommend this hotel if you're just looking for somewhere to rest your head after a busy day sightseeing but don't expect 5 star quality.

I stayed at this hotel with a friend and some family that lives in California. The cleaners had been to the room and accidently taken a teddy bear from the room given by my dad that had only passed away the year before. The reception had no interest in resorting the issue even though they had an option of contacting my American family. I've tried several times to contact the hotel but haven't received as much as an email back. Definitely a hotel chain I can't recommend to anyone solely because of their lack of help and recognition of their flaw.

Good location, tight parking, powerful jacuzzi. A bit pricey, clean rooms, good a/c. Friendly staff though. The fridge did not work, but they got right on it the next day. Helpful on directions, even printed out directions for us. Should implement continental breakfast, so we would not have to go find a place for breakfast.

After a night at the Hollywood Bowl for Black Sabbath it was nice to go back to our room and have a good night sleep and an easy check out before a long drive home. Thank you Best Western Hollywood Plaza Inn.

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights, and i have to say it was an amazing location. It is steps from hollywood BLVD, and everything there. The hotel was very clean, it provided a safe atmosphere, and the staff were very nice. They were also very helpful with explaining transportation and where things were. The room was small, and for sure needs an update with furniture and carpeting. Other than that, i would for sure stay here again. The location is 100/100! It does have a very "Californian" feel to it as all of the rooms have windows onto balconies that are outside, and look down into the parking lot. Very cool.

We stayed at the Best Western while attending a concert at the Hollywood Bowl. It was within walking distance of the bowl, which really saved us on parking and headaches. The room was clean and comfortable, and we had a very nice stay here. Will return in the future.

My husband, two kids (23 and 13) and I stayed one night. We wanted a location close to Hollywood Walk of Fame and Universal Studios, since we were going there in the morning. We could not have picked a better location. We had less then a 5 minute walk to Walk of Fame, and about a 3-5 minute drive to Universal. I was considered about how loud it might get at night, but we heard nothing! Beds were very comfortable, and everything was very clean. I highly recommend this hotel to others, and will be staying here again.

We stayed here to attend the ELO concert at The Hollywood Bowl. You can't beat the location--we just walked right up the hill. We had dinner (Caesar and Cobb salads) and drinks in the restaurant during Happy Hour before the show, and everything was great. The room was clean and neat, although I would suggest taking a fan for extra air circulation and white noise. On-site parking is an extra bonus. We plan on staying there again next month... highly recommend.

Hotel is convenient for Hollywood sightseeing and just a short walk to the Walk of Fame and Hollywood Bowl. Room was cleaned daily but limited space for 3 adults. Coffee facilities, fridge and microwave are a bonus. Complimentary toiletries were good quality. Hotel pool and spa are quite small and doesn't get much sun but nice to use during the morning and there are plenty of pool towels. The Staff were very friendly and helpful. The only negative for this hotel was the noise from the cars underneath the rooms where alarms went off during the night regularly and cars speeding along a very busy main road immediately outside the front of the hotel and as this is more of a motel than hotel you can hear car noises all night and day

Within walking distance to the Hollywood Bowl, Hollywood Blvd., etc. Room was very clean, the staff was super. Added bonus was Spice restaurant right next door. Food was great. Would definitely stay here again. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was that the room was a bit dated. Mattress was very comfortable & we appreciated the extra pillows.

In town for a concert at the Hollywood Bowl, stayed the weekend at the Best Western because its the closest hotel to the Bowl, about a 10 min walk. Hollywood Blvd is also about a 10 min walk so no need to drive much so you can't beat the location. It's an older value priced hotel with outside corridors but is well kept and very clean. The room looked much newer than the hotel. The staff was helpful and nice. The restaurant/bar was small but the food was good. Parking is good. This hotel is a good value for the price but it's not the Hilton, if you want an upscale hotel you will pay double.

The room was clean, the staff super nice and helpful, the little restaurant at the ground floor was a nice hangout. The maids were super nice and brought us extra towels. If I were to have one minor complaint, the parking was a little difficult because the spots are very small. However, this hotel is so close to Hollywood Bowl, it was wonderful not needing transportation. Great experience!

Value for money with very helpful staff who will go the extra to make your stay enjoyable, rooms are clean though not ultra modern they are far better than most, will stay there every trip to Hollywood in the future.

Very good hotel. Nice location near popular sites. Clean. Some noisy traffic. Local store nearby to buy snacks. Good prices on water and Cokes in drink machines! Parking is available for a charge. Parking area is small.

Having recently stayed here for 5 nights we were extremely impressed by the Staff. On every encounter with them they were friendly helpful and polite and really keen on making your stay a memorable one. On one occasion the Manager went out of his way to a bus terminal in his own time to pick up a portable wifi device that i had left on a bus saving us so much valuable vacation time. Well done to all the Staff and to anyone who is unsure of a hotel to stay in around this area i can recommend this one you will not be disappointed. Great location Great Staff Great Hotel.

Hotel was conveniently located for our purpose. We were able to walk to Hollywood Bowl and the old Kodac center The staff was excellent and the room condition was surprising good. Bathroom clean, plenty of electrical outlets and the bed was very comfortable. When we travel to the Bowl again we plan on booking at this hotel.

Great location. Only minutes walk to Hollywood Boulevard with all its attractions. We were upgraded to Junior Suite at the back of the hotel which was great. Our daughters had a room in the front of the hotel which was very noisy with traffic and people noise. Definitely request back rooms. Staff are super friendly and helpful especially Zuly.. She organised a driver for us so we could see all attractions we wanted to. LA is very spread out with heavy traffic so a private driver is a must. Zuly made our stay in LA very easy... Had our first meal in the hotel restaurant- Spice... fabulous food at a very reasonable price.. again great service and happy staff. Would definitely stay here again if we return (back room)

We stayed just one night for a concert at the Hollywood Bowl and the hotel is just 1/4 mile away and a very easy walk. The happy hour at the bar was playing the bands music getting everyone all excited for the show. We were pleasantly surprised upon arrival we were able to check in early and were upgraded because we are gold members. The room was very clean and had a great 2 person Jacuzzi tub. We used the pool which was good too. We are going back in two weeks to see another concert and staying 3 nights which will be convenient because of its close location to all the sights and things to do.

Can't understand the negative reviews on here.We have just left after a 2 day stay,this being the 5 th hotel on our tour of California. Our room spacious ,had a little kitchen attached and walked out on to a lovely pool area.Complimentary breakfast contrary to reviews was surprisingly good. Dining Room clean and bright,choice great,usual American breakfast.We have paid for breakfast at 6 star resorts and been more disappointed.Staff on sight really helpful.great restaurant 5 min walk away called le petit ,French but the choice huge and included French but also pasta,rice,30 specials and ok price.

We were greeted warmly on arrival and we had a great check in experience. We added an additional night and they were so very helpful! We ate on the property and the staff and food were all excellent! So close to the Hollywood Walk of Fame and all areas where the main Hollywood scene is! Easy walk and very safe area!! Parking on site and FREE!!!! Would definitely stay here again

Great Hotel in a very good location. My room was at the back, very quiet and comfortable . The staff were very helpful in giving directions and local knowledge of the attractions was great Spice , their restaurant serves amazing nachos ?? Only a 10 minute walk to The Hollywood Bowl, which is great as there is always something on. Again, only a 10 minute walk to The Hollywood Boulevard which is where the action is. The walk of Fame , Chinese Theatre etc.

My wife and I arrived on the 25th April and stayed for two nights. The hotel is situated within 10 to 15 minutes walking distance of the Hollywood walk of fame. Our room was fairly small and basic but clean. As our room was at the front of the hotel, it was often a bit noisy with the traffic from the main road and other guests walking along the corridor to use the one lift and stairs. There was no safe in the room and we had to keep asking staff, who were friendly and helpful, every time we needed access to our safety deposit box at reception, which became annoying. There is a small restaurant at the front of the hotel but we only used it for an evening coffee as the choice of menu seemed limited. Would we use the hotel again? Probably not, the hotel is in a good position for accessing the Hollywood strip but we found the strip really disappointing. It was just a boring and dirty road with just lots of music / film stars with their names, signatures, hand and feet impressions in the pavement / walkways but the most annoying part was the number of beggars looking for a handout which certainly made us uneasy walking around. Therefore, it is more than likely we won't be going back there again.

We booked the room for my girls for their first Hollywood "girls" trip as the location was convenient and reasonably priced for LA. the rooms were clean, staff was kind and friendly the girls had a great time... Mahalo!

I stayed here 1 night to be close to Universal Studios. Good hotel, spotlessly clean and the room I had was spacious with a huge bathroom. Walking distance to the Chinese theatre and Walk of Stars. Great decoration throughout the hotel, with lots of movie and music memorablia

The walk of fame is totally disappointing. It is just a big, unattractive street with tacky shops, tasteless "horror museums" and a lot of dropouts hanging around looking for a dime. Although our room was at the back of the hotel, we couldn't escape the overwhelming noise of traffic. The place is mediocre and overpriced. There are so many lovely places to go in the States, it is a shame to waste time and money in this part of the country.

I Stayed in other Best Westerns, but this was really good. The front staff printed directions to whatever destination I had in mind. Also, Walk of the Stars and the Hollywood Bowl very near to this hotel. Only issue I can think of is driving out to the main hwy. is tricky since you need to make a left from the hotel. Very hard to do depending on time of the day. This really isn't hotels fault, but just an FYI for anyone going to this location and plans on driving around LA.

The location is far better than their website suggests. An easy five minute stroll to the Hollywood strip where the Hollywood and Highland mall is. So lots of,eateries and shops around. The reception staff were helpful and the cleaning staff take a very high standard for cleaning. Rooms are small but comfy and well equipped with fridges and microwaves, downside was power points didn't work in many parts of the room and the air conditioning in the room is incredibly noisy but I'd stay here again. From the outside it looks pretty bad but was a lovely quality room, spotless bathroom and location is a major plus.

BW Hollywood Plaza Inn is well located for the Hollywood Bowl and Hollywood Avenue attractions. Staff service on arrival was exceptional and this continued throughout our stay. Our room was spotless and the bed very comfortable resulting in a great night's sleep. The restaurant provided real value for money.

This hotel has fairly basic facilities. The room was dated, but clean and comfortable. The pool is small, but met our needs in terms of cooling off. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is good - an easy walk to Hollywood Boulevard and adjacent to the Bowl. Breakfast was average.

Hotel is a bit aged but well maintained and the staff is excellent thus the "very good" rating. There is complimentary water and fruit at the front office which is so welcome after a walk around on a hot summer day. The food in the restaurant is so good and sanely priced that I did not bother to eat elsewhere on my 2 night stay.

We love this location for concerts at either Hollywood Bowl across the street or the Greek Theater less than 4 miles away. They really make a huge effort to keep this property maintained. Only word of advice if you are at the Greek and there is an event at the Bowl, be sure you return to hotel via 101 as it's very difficult to make a left into hotel parking. A shout out to the desk staff: they are extremely professional and handled an issue with my reservation excellently.

This hotel is an average hotel for the price. The building is not brand new, but is well maintained. I was in town for a show at The Hollywood Bowl and this place was exactly what I was looking for. Situated between The Hollywood Bowl and Hollywood Blvd., this hotel was a short walk to both. I was very pleasantly surprised with my stay. The staff was above average in my opinion, my little boy came in saying he was hungry and they gave him a few snacks to eat while I finished checking in. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to be a short walk from Hollywood Blvd. or The Hollywood Bowl and is looking for affordability.

So after our stay in Vegas, we had to look for a reasonably priced hotel in LA and we found the BW Hollywood Plaza Inn. The hotel itself is in a great location on Highland avenue, just a mere 5 minute walk to the Hollywood walk of Fame and all it's bustling glory. The hotel is clean & neat. We booked a room with 2 double beds, a desk, and en suite bathroom. We also had a bar fridge, coffee machine & microwave, which was great. There was storage space but no safe. There are elevators to the different floors as well as ice machines on each floor, a vending machine & a coin laundry room as well. They have 1 restaurant / bar on the premises. We never ate here as there are so many dining options nearby including Starbucks, subway, McDonalds, Hard Rock cafe, etc. Parking is charged for and there is limited parking on this property. The hotel has a pool as well. We were actually pleasantly surprised as this hotel was nice & the location fantastic. If you are looking for a reasonably priced hotel in Hollywood, this is the one to go for.

Five minute walk to Hollywood Bowl. Very convenient location. Staff was very friendly. Plenty of restaurants in the area and the pubs were lively and fun. Highly recommend the Best Western for anyone attending an event at the Hollywood Bowl.

This hotel receives 4 stars due to the quality of customer service. The staff are very helpful, courteous and friendly. And most important cheerful! The room is comfortable. We stayed here like most people for a concert at the Hollywood Bowl. If your room is near the front it can get quite noisy with traffic and pedestrians. It's an easy walk to the Bowl & the Blvd. There are some great restaurants also within walking distance. I would stay away from the onsite restaurant for dinner on concert days as they seem to play the music of the artist performing that night quite loudly for such a small space making it difficult to have a conversation or even order food as they got my friend's order wrong. I will be coming back in September for a show, I hope the level of customer service remains high. Oh and the Lobby elevator doesn't like to work. It was a running joke whether it was or wasn't working.

Best Western Hollywood Plaza Inn, Hollywood, CALIFORNIA. Great location, every single staff member we encountered was wonderful, good cost of rooms, clean. I think they must make their mantra to serve the customer well and indeed they did so. We had our family stay in the one room and it was not at all cramped (compared to what we had been experiencing previously).

This hotel is perfect for those traveling to Hollywood. I stayed here 3 nights. The room was very pleasant- however the air con was a little bit noisy but it did its job. About a 10 minute walk downhill to Hollywood boulevard. Rooms don't have safes, but the reception does and they will gladly hold cash & passports

This hotel is an odd little thing where they cramme as much as they could in a small, very popular tourist area. The first/ground level is the parking (tight) and location of lobby and restaurant which are extremely small. I honestly think this is the smallest lobby we have ever been in! It would be nice if this hotel offered a complimentary breakfast but understandable why they don't as there is no space at all. Located on extremely busy Highland Ave, we were very glad the rooms are up on second level and higher as we heard no street noise at all. The room was very clean and decent and even had a mini-fridge and microwave. Our room had 2 double beds which was good for the one night we were there, any longer, see if you can get bigger beds. The swimming pool is small but nice. It is all about location with this hotel.. Basically, it is located in an area between 2 iconic Hollywood tourist spots....the Hollywood Bowl and Hollywood Walk of Fame where you have the TCL Chinese Theatre, Dolby Theatre (where the Academy Awards are held), Madame Tussauds Wax Museum and so much more! All within a 5-10 minute walk, which is great because the less driving you have to do the better. During our stay we were able to do a celebrity homes/Hollywood tour which we booked right on Hollywood Walk of Fame. We also visited Rodeo Drive, Santa Monica Blvd, Venice Beach...all just a short drive from this hotel. My recommendation, if you are wanting to do the Hollywood /LA thing and wanting safe/clean and great location on a budget then this is the hotel for you!

I would recommend this hotel mostly because of its location and a relaxing pool area. You would think that a hotel with this price range would provide a breakfast buffet for the guests. But I noticed that there clearly wasn't any room for it. Staff was friendly during our stay. Room was alright, average size and warm, fortunate it is equipped with AC. Cleaning was very good! Smooth check-in and check-outs with no hassles. However, overall it was a very good stay.

This is a very odd hotel... From its tiny reception area, to its even tinier restaurant (with very un-knowledgeable staff - I dealt with two separate people who had no idea what wines they had in stock... hint: nothing on their wine list!), to its outdoor walkways connecting the rooms... Odd! However it is in a great location very convenient for tourists visiting Hollywood, and the Walk of Fame. The room itself was fairly dingy, old, and average. I think it was wildly overpriced for the quality of the room! (Although friends of mine had lower rates, so I think it really depends when you book your room.) The showers are a crazy waste of water in a place where they have such water shortages - the water just pounds out of the shower like a massive waterfall -- it's FAR too much water and water pressure!! They really should put in some kind of new shower heads that don't waste as much water. It's a very odd place! If I stay in this area again I will try to book into the hotel next door!

I stay exclusively at Best Western and very often they do not live up to there designation of Plus or Premiere. In the case of the Plaza Inn it goes beyond its designation as a Plus hotel. The front desk staff is amazing, they know what is going on and how to expedite the check in process. Also they are friendly and helpful. Our room this trip, our 3rd or 4th stay here was really good. It was only for overnight, but still they gave us a large room that was almost a suite. Nice couch, coffee table, large mirror, flat screen TV and the bed was very comfortable and afforded a good night of sleep. The only issue I have and it is not exclusive to this property, but the TV's all have remotes that do not access the sleep function. Consequently I have to remotely turn off the TV before I fall asleep. That is my only issue. As to location what could be better, a short walk from Hollywood Blvd and the walk of fame. Here you can find an entrance to the metro and you can either go to Universal Studios or downtown to the Concert Halls. Great hotel Great Location!!!!

Very professional staff made four rooms available including two interconnected rooms. Serviceminded when it came it delayed check-out, and flexible regarding having our car to stay for several hours after check-out. Good pools and close to Hollywood. However, somehow expensive, all in all, but recommended.

This place could not have been friendlier. We were greeted with a little goodie bag and cold water as well as fruit-infused water in the lobby. The rooms are refurbished and very comfortable. Our room had both a microwave and fridge. This hotel really strives to be good. We were given complimentary morning coffee in the restaurant and the server could not have been more gracious. The hotel is just a few blocks from the Hollywood Bowl so it is the perfect place to stay if you don't want to fight the parking, traffic, and crowds. We just walked "home" after the performance there. It was super convenient.

This is a very average hotel, but very close to the Holywood walk of fame and Chinese Theater. Hotel rooms are spacious and clean, equipped with basic furnitures. The hotel has tiny restaurant and bar. If you are not very demanding and want to be close to the attractions, this is a good choice.

The hotel was clean & really handy to walk to Hollywood Boulevard (only a few blocks). We arrived early, but reception let us check in to our room. All the people on reception were friendly & helpful. The Hotel was really busy when we stayed there, due to The Little Mermaid being on at The Hollywood Bowl, but even so, there wasn't too much noise. We would stay here again.

This is one of the most expensive Best Westerns - plus high parking fee - plus no breakfast. But the location is ideal: A few blocks to the Hollywood Bowl or Hollywood Boulevard, a few short miles to Griffith Park. Wonderful people at the desk and elsewhere working. Rooms are small, but comfortable, spotless, well-designed. And it's a MOTEL - you park near your room, the only door is the one into your room. We do NOT like the current mania with "hotels" - we want motels. This is a motel. If you can afford it, I'd give this a very high recommendation

It was the cheapest but better hotel I found around Hollywood area. It is a walking distance to the Hollywood walk of fame and the busy mall. What I don't like is the rediculous cost of parking fees. The room is quite small and the bathroom is very narrow. It is very clean though. Our room was on the top floor away from noisy roads.

Our hotel, Best Western Hollywood Plaza was a good location for our first visit. Our room included a king size bed, fridge and microwave, coffee maker, cable tv, free wi-fi. The hotel is older, but remodeled nicely, not fancy, the room was spacious, the bathroom was roomy with a good showerhead and it was very clean. The desk clerks were quite helpful and the cleaning crew not only kept the room clean, but left extra tissues and toilet paper. Everyone who worked in the hotel was very friendly. A cafe connected to the hotel had good food at reasonable prices. Location-wise we could walk to Hollywood Blvd, the Walk of Fame, Graumann's Chinese Theater, a lot of souvenir shops, restaurants and the 1st stop for the Hop on Hop Off Tour bus. We went to a Dodger's Game, The Farmer's Market, Warner Bros. Studios for a tour, Beverly Hills and then did a separate day tour to San Diego. One tip of advice: If you don't have a car with you, Uber yourself everywhere. We did. It is easy, fast and so much cheaper than a taxi. Driving in the LA area is crazy. Also, regarding food prices, LA food is very expensive, just like New York.

Good price for the Hollywood area. The staff are very helpful and you can get a free granola bar for breakfast :-) Very close to Hollywood Blvd and starbucks is nearby if you need somewhere to go for breakfast.

This place was clean, and had a good rate! If I come back to LA, I'll be checking in here! It's walking distance to the Hollywood Boulevard and will you all already know how busy the traffic is around here, it's crazy! Hope this helps you guys! Place has wifi and laundry room.

This is the perfect hotel when attending Hollywood Bowl events. It's on the same side of the street and within walking distance. They have a nice pool, Jacuzzi, and restaurant. I would recommend staying here.

This was our 4th time staying at this BW. It allows us to walk to a jazz festival at the Hollywood Bowl; the ease and convenience is perfect. In the past we have felt that the front desk staff was exceptional-professional, efficient and helpful. This year was quite different-mediocre at best. Add to that, extreme noise from restaurant at night, after 10:30, which interfered with sleep. I had also pre-paid for the hotel so that my husband could check-in before I arrived. They did not honor the arrangement so he had to wait until I arrived from a family graduation.

This place has changed over the years, It is convenient if you are attending an event at the Hollywood Bowl however It is very expensive. Parking is 22 dollars a day and its very hard to park in the narrow spots. The new Spice club is loud and I could feel the bass pulsing through the floor until at least 2 am. There was a mix up with the room and I had to be changed to another apparently it was half clean.

The service at this hotel was very good and the room was clean and well prepared. It is 10 minutes from the Hollywood Bowl so if you are attending an event and need a place to stay, this Best Western is just fine!

The location is excellent with everything in walking distance and I am sure that we would have had a great stay, however the 1st night was marred by very loud bar below. In addition, my wife and daughter seem to have been bitten by bedbugs as they woke up with itchy bites.

Very disappointed with the decor of the room but at least it was clean. Breakfast was adequate in a cafe next door to the hotel. It is very overpriced! Would not return to this hotel despite it being close to Hollywood Museum. Having been on tour in California and stayed in hotels of a similar price but of a much higher standard. We discovered the laundry room which was a bonus.

Amazing little hotel in the heart of Hollywood. We walked a half a block to Hollywood Blvd. Perfect location. Only a subway ride away to Dodgers Stadium if you are catching a ball game. The hotel has access to a little restaurant which was perfect for eating an early breakfast before sightseeing. The room was clean and comfortable. Much quieter than I anticipated too, as North Highland is a busy street.

9 of us stayed here in may 2016 the staff were very friendly, the hotel rooms very clean, pool excellent. Would definately reccomend for anyone wanting a reasonable priced hotel close to all amenities.

The local to the hollywood bowl could not be better. The restaurant down stairs is a plus. Hours could be longer but nice to be able to go downstairs and get dinner. Pool was fabulous but the room it self had an awful body odor and curry smell. I was not happy with the smell at all. For the price we paid i figured I would not have to deal with such a bad smell.

nice little hotel..very close to sights in Hollywood..very friendly front desk agents ..only about 10 min walk to Hollywood blvd. only issue..could not get any cell service at all at the hotel. had to walk to street to get any kind of cell phone service..other than that was a nice hotel for a short visit..

hotel is super close to everything. but there is no connection if you want to talk to family or get on the internet.... it says you can and maybe a day you can....but after that no way. bathrooms so small they need a mirror when you walk out of bathroom...and they do not offer free breakfast like every other best western out there... why?????

Nothing special, but it has everything you need. The reception are friendly and helpful, the rooms are a good size with good wi-fi, clean, just what you need. It is close to Hollywood Boulevard and the shops, they also have a little bar and restaurant. Would stay here again.

So we have just left and if your looking for a decent and fairly cheap hotel, this is the place! It's really central for Hollywood, 5 minutes walk to the Walk of Fame. Universal is only 15 away. The room was good sized and really clean which I my must! Friendly staff too. 18 dollars parking each night was slightly high for my liking but probably offset the cheap value. Can get noisy though at night because of the main road next door.

Hotel was ideally located near to Hollywood, freeway, Universal Studios. Facilities at hotel were clean and comfortable. Staff helpful. Pool was used every day and parking at hotel was very useful. would recommend to anyone who is visiting Hollywood as location is ideal for visiting local attractions.

Our stay started out great as we were able to get into our room early. The front desk staff were polite and efficient. The room was a king and was quite large. I appreciated the coffee maker, microwave and fridge. Bathroom was also good sized and clean. The bed and bedding were great and made for a good nights sleep. There is a pool and hot tub. The seating area around the pool was nice. You are about a 12-15 minute walk away from Hollywood Blvd. It is a safe area and I never questioned walking home at night. A grocery store is near by (although, it is pricey). I would stay here again the next time I visit Hollywood.

Average rooms, average rates... best part was how close we were to Hollywood Blvd, Grauman's Chinese Theatre, Jimmy Kimmel's theater Hollywood Walk of Fame. About 10-15 minute walk right in the heart of everything.

Just a very basic hotel, but was clean. it has a self laundry facility available and an in house restaurant, although the hours are limiting. it is a short walk to Hollywood Blvd, and is close to Universal Studios. although not walking distance.

We stayed at this hotel for three nights, it was on a very busy street witch the traffic never stopped, but it was great walking distance to Hollywood walk of fame and all its theaters, The restaurant down stairs had lovely meals and the staff were very helpful and friendly, it was great to walk into the lobby and they had a lovely cool and refreshing drink sitting on a bench for you to have, much need after the LA hot days.

Good location within walking distance of Hollywood sight seeing. Near busy street so plenty of noise. Breakfast not included and onsite restaurant did not open at advertised time of 7 am. Pool area ok but on the small side. I had a deluxe room that had good size and it was clean.

No free contintantial breakfast the rooms are over priced . I've paid more and got less. The owner of that particular hotel is greedy and money hungry and does not think about his customers.We were never told about a pool when we ck'd in .

all types of service were excellent except I would like to see more tv channel selection 10 min walk to Hollywood and highland 15 min drive to universal studios 7 min walk to Hollywood bowl very nice swimming pool you may get food to go in hotel lobby

What great clean and tidy accommodation. Close to everything, within walking distance. the staff are friendly and informative very helpful for tours. great little cafe downstairs for breakfast food is fresh. The rooms are clean properly daily and it also has a laundry available for travellers very handy

The room was clean and tidy and cleaned every day. On the second floor we stayed, bed right next to window and door. With people walking past need curtains closed at all times unless you want them seeing straight through. Have to get a safe from downstairs which is a long mental tin and no lock provided, take one with you. A moderate amount of noise on and off through out the night. Fridge and microwave in rom with coffee machine. Vending machine didn't work. Reception staff pretty helpful. Walk of fame around 5-10 minute walk, not much else around the area. Cheep for area, if want to be central but need to travel everywhere. Not many local places to eat, starbucks an market down the road. Good price for somewhere to lay your head, wouldn't stay again due to not much around and would prefer something a little more up market. Served a purpose. Free wifi on site parking. Taxi to airport 65 dollars plus tip.

We booked a last minute trip to Hollywood and I read the reviews and booked because it said it was clean. HOLY COW!!! Was it ever! I forgot my phone in the car so I walked from room 223 to the elevator and then through the parking area to the car and back to my room. MY WHITE SOCKS WERE STILL WHITE AND CLEAN!!! You can't beat the location...literally right off the freeway and walking distance to fun.

Great location to just walk to Hollywood sites such as wax museums, and the great beautiful over the top shopping center with the Chinese theater and stars on the sidewalk. Great night life-easy access to hotel. Hotel small, basic, get a room in the back to get away from the constant traffic up front. Beds were a little springy for my tastes, and could use newer carpets in our room. Excellent value for location.

We stayed at this hotel for one night in April for the Hollywood Half Marathon. Our room was clean and quiet and was walking distance to the Walk of the Stars and lots of other Hollywood attractions. The best part was that the hotel was much less expensive than the bigger, popular hotels. This one is small, has very tight parking, and no free breakfast. But the personnel was very friendly, the room was comfortable, and there was a nice pool and hot spa with good jets. Nothing fancy here, but comfortable, clean, friendly, and a good bargain.

This hotel was great, nice clean rooms and walking distance to Hollywood Blvd and also nice and close to Universal studio's. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to see the sights in Hollywood and Beverly hills

Great location/neighborhood between Hollywood Bowl and Hollywood&Highland Mall/Dolby Theater. Only drawback is the difficulty getting out of parking lot during peak times. Affordable although prices do go up on nights when there is a concert at the Bowl.

We spotted this hotel a couple years back while driving to the Hollywood bowl. When we need a place to stay for the Hollywood half marathon it was the first place we checked. It's ideal for anyone visiting Hollywood because it's within walking distance of every downtown attraction: Hollywood and Highland, Capital Building, Amoeba Records, etc. Considering most day lots charge about 15 dollars to park, the 19 the hotel charges is more than reasonable. And even though the place is right off a busy street, it's surprisingly quiet. We stayed on the third floor and weren't bothered by any noise from the street. Rooms are on the small side, but more than enough if you just need a place to shower and sleep.

Best Western Hollywood is in a great location to enjoy all that is Hollywood - a lot of it by simply walking, It is close to Magic Castle, the Walk of Fame, famous restaurants, Dolby Theatre and other entertainment venues. There are restauants and shops close by for a quick meal and tourist shopping - Subway, Chick Fil A, McDonalds, pizza, This hotel is a little dated but met my needs. It does have a nice swimming pool and an elevator.

Great hotel in fairly decent location. 10-15 walking distance to Hollywood Boulevard. Great WiFi. Reasonable sized car park (which you have to pay for) and it does get bit packed later on in the evening. Jainish in reception was very helpful in suggesting ways of getting to Universal Studios (which is actually only about 10 minutes away by car). He also assisted in helping to solve a printer jam when I was using the computer in the reception to print off tickets. This hotel also has a separate bar/restaurant attached to the hotel. Would definitely recommend.

We stayed here for three nights in April 2016. It's an older property that's been well maintained but it's clean, safe and surprisingly quiet at night considering the traffic outside (we heard no noise in the night). The main attraction is the proximity to Hollywood Boulevard which is a comfortable and totally safe half mile walk away. I'd stay here again in LA. For sure. We booked ahead which I believe got us a way better rate. We heard some people calling for rate quotes while we were checking in and it appeared they were being quoted rates about $100 per night more than we paid. Staff was great too.

This is a great location, within easy walking distance to the Hollywood Bowl, which was super convenient. Rooms were well maintained and reasonably priced. It isn't fancy, but the location cannot be beat! Easy walk to the mall area, Hollywood Blvd., shops and restaurants.

Overall our stay at this hotel was awesome. The main reason we selected this hotel was its close proximity to the Hollywood Bowl, and it didn't let us down. The rooms were clean and the restaurant served a great breakfast. We didn't use the restaurant for dinner as it was just a short walk Hollywood Blvd. Great location.

Great hotel as close to Hollywood Blvd and the hop on and off tour to see the sights. Rooms clean and beds very comfortable. Nice pool area with hot tub to unwind. The spice restaurant is quaint and has a variety of food options. would definitely stay here again. Very friendly staff

I stayed here while working the 88th Annual Oscars. It was perfect for this because I could walk over to Hollywood and Highland every day for work. The hotel is only two blocks from the center of Hollywood. I didn't use my car for three days! My room was small but felt safe and comfortable. The hotel was so quiet I slept like an angel every night. My room had a coffeemaker and a nice size fridge as well as a microwave. The room was updated nicely and the bed was super comfortable. The bathroom could have used more updating but it was clean with awesome shower pressure and temperature. There is a restaurant inside the hotel that serves breakfast and dinner but I never tried it. I recommend this hotel.

We stayed here while in LA and it was a great little hotel, really great location and all staff were really helpful. There was one staff member called Mercy who just couldn't do enough for us and this just added to our great experience with this hotel. The hotel is just so close to everything you need and want with the walk of fame being just down the road too. We would return here next time we come to LA.

I was in town to visit an office and had a difficult time finding a hotel that would fit in my company's allowance. I ended up having to book this hotel. I was very nervous about the outside entrance, no security, no security camera's in the walkways. The front desk staff (2 young women) were not warm and fuzzy to say the least. I felt anxious each time I had to go from my room to the car or car to room. The noise on Highland Ave is awful. Ask for a room on the backside. The positive note is the room was very clean, the bed and pillows were comfortable. It had a small microwave and very small fridge. I would have liked a dorm size room fridge. I always had hot water and good water pressure. Once I was in my room and all the locks in place I was no longer anxious. It wouldn't be my first choice when I return but that is based solely on the outside entrances to the rooms. Once in side the room was great.

My visit to this property was, on the whole, entirely forgettable. The proximity to the tourist attractions is the only reason they are able to command such a high price tag per night for a room that would be worth half as much elsewhere. Not great value.

It's Los Angeles, and Los Angeles can be expensive. We thought this hotel was affordable, and you get what you pay for. Don't expect a 5 star hotel here, but do expect a nice, friendly staff, clean rooms, and a comfortable bed. The pool and hot tub were crystal clear, and there are designated smoking areas. Based upon reviews here we requested a room in the back, and you should do the same. The walls are thin and the road in front can get very busy. We had no trouble hearing the drunks across the way in the hotel, but luckily they went inside before I had to call the front desk. The coffee pot in our room didn't work, but we never mentioned it to the front desk. Instead we hit the attached restaurant for our morning coffee. Starbucks fans will be happy to know there's on nearby, about a 5 minute walk, if that. Yes, we would stay here again.

The best part of this hotel is its location... It is about 3-4 blocks from all of the action of Hollywood and Highland intersection, which when you're a tourist this is what you're looking for. Also very close to Burbank (think WB studio tour) and Universal Studios Hollywood. The hotel is "motel style" where the room doors open to the outside. This is fine but you also hear pretty much everything going on outside in the parking lot, but ear plugs help with this. The room wasn't overly luxurious and the bed wasn't anything special but a good night's sleep was had. If you're looking for luxury, this isn't for you. If you are just looking for a nice, clean room to rest your head at night, then this place is for you! I would recommend it for sure. Only downfall is parking costs like $22 a night.

This hotel is in a great location for all the sights on Hollywood Blvd. Very near Hollywood and Highland, which has the Dolby Theater and a shopping center. This a decent place to stay, but it really gets lowered marks from me as it's a motel. The doors are all outside, so the traffic noise is pretty loud. Then when you add running children making tons of noise (obviously no fault of the hotel's) and people talking loudly on their way to their room, it's just pretty noisy. Good customer service, good room (but a bit older), good price. But the noise just doesn't make it great in my opinion.

The Hotel was within walking distance to the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theater, and other popular places to visit in Hollywood. The traffic was crazy, and the hotel is located next to a busy road. We heard sirens throughout the night while trying to sleep. The room felt clean, although the bathroom was extremely small. The fan in the bathroom was so loud, and there was no way to turn it off, as it was the same switch as the light. The fan was obviously not working, because the mirror was completely fogged over after my shower. The pool area is so tiny, that if other people are at the pool, you are basically sitting right on top of them, if you are trying to soak up some sun. There is a very high priced restaurant on site, and no complimentary breakfast. There is a Subway restaurant within walking distance across the street. For the price and location, I would probably stay again, even though I wasn't super impressed.

They were able to arrange all our transportation to all the sites we wanted to see as well as arranging transportation to the docks at San Pedro. I would highly recommend this hotel for a wonderful and pleasant stay.

The hotel was fantastic and the room was great, location was amazing being walking distance to the Hollywood walk of fame. There were restaurants locally and a fantastic atmosphere in the area as they were setting up for the Oscars. The customer service was good and the hotel was nice, I would recommend the hotel for location generally.

If you want to be closest to the Bowl, this is your place. Parking is around $22, and it is tight parking if your have anything bigger than a mid sized car. The decor is decent, and considering your r in Hollywood, and on a busy street like Highland, you will hear some noise. The rooms seem close to each other. Service was good from employees. If I'm going anywhere else in Hollywood, I tend to stay closer to the subway or on Sunset Blvd. It is a little walk to Hollywood and Highland. Would stay again, if going to the bowl

Stayed at this best western for a second time.The room was very clean.Ordered food from the restaurant downstairs.The food was very good and was made in a timely manner.Staff is very nice they set up appointments for me and even took pictures for me.Maids were a little loud in the morning -evening and some location car noise but,thats to be expected.All they have to do is tell each customer checking in is that please be respectful of others and don't slam doors or yell or speak loud.That would solve that in every direction.The location is where you want to be.Cant beat it.

Visiting LA on college tour stayed for two nightstand this location. It was very affordable in a good location. Not upscale but clean and easy to reach different schools in area. Best bet was to prepay online for most affordable rate.

The location is really good for walking to Hollywood. It is more of a motel than a hotel. The pool and hot tub are good, clean and in the sun. We had two rooms. My parents' room was large and had a separate sink outside of the bathroom and storage for toiletries. Our room was small, one king bed, and no place for toiletries except on the floor. Our room smelled badly too. It was sold out so we had to stay there. They sprayed air freshner which helped somewhat. They had washers and dryers which we used but the clothes that needed to lay flat to dry smelled like our room. Everything was clean but dated. The staff was friendly and the restaurant/bar located there was yummy and reasonably priced. I would only stay there again if I got a double bed room. I liked the location but usually prefer a more updated hotel especially for the price we paid. The doors of the room open to the outside, so technically a motel in my eyes. There should have been more security but I did not feel unsafe. Had to pay for parking and breakfast. The shower was hot and good water pressure. The nightly rate should be less for the fact that it is dated and no breakfast and parking are included. With all of that said, it did not ruin my trip. I would probably pick a different hotel in a similar location.

My stay here was solid. The staff was very nice and helpful. I joined the Best Western rewards program and got free parking for my stay as a result so that was a nice surprise. My friend and I also received a goody bag with snacks and water that actually came in handy lol The room is small but served its purpose. I was surprised and happy that there was a fridge and microwave in the room. Albeit in the bathroom area which is kind of annoying but I did make use of both. I also made use of the computer and printer in the lobby for guests. The parking is kind of tight but I always found a space when I returned to the hotel. Everything we had set out to do was about 12 min or less driving time from the hotel so that was nice. The Walk of Fame is like 2 blocks so that was nice as well. Overall, I enjoyed my stay. It was no fuss and I enjoyed my time in Cali

When I reserved my room I was not informed of the $18 fee for parking, or that my rate did not include taxes. Save your money and book one of the nice hotels in the area. This is by far the worst and when I complained about the $50 per day extra charges, I was very rudely scoffed at. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere decent!
