Best Western Bucovina-Club De Munte

Everything was great.....we spend 2 nights here and really was a big surprice.... Very clean,very hot ,but in January this is a good think,and in the restaurant was just 'ok',i can't say great or delicios because: --in our first breakfast we didn't have many thinks to choose --and is very expensive

We spent two nights at this BW as part of our Romania tour package. The hotel is failry large and apparently designed to cater for larger groups. The rooms were very clean and so were the bathrooms. We appreciated the covid prevention measures being observed all throughout the hotel. Our operator got us upgraded to the upper floor rooms with balcony which afforded spectacular views of the surrounding hilly area. Both dinners in the hotel were very good. Perhaps a large selection of red wine would be good. All in all, a very pleasant stay.

Was the biggest disappointment from our vacation . In this pandemic crises,cleaning is very important and here our room look like was not clean for more then a month. Location is one of the best from the area.

Very lovely place to stay in Gura Humorului. Very clean, nice staff, amazing massage -thanks Otilia. Goog breakfast, because the curent situation, Covid-19 related, it is served only on the terrace or in the room. So if it is cold or raining it will be a small problem. Nice experience.

I stayed there for 2 nights. Single room, quite spacious. The bed is large (I guess 1.4mx2m), and quite comfortable. The room had a big balcony, which must be nice when it's warm outside and you can just sit there in the evening and relax. Mini fridge available, with some drinks (water, wine, soft drinks) and some stuff to munch on. The bathroom was rather small, but clean. The hotel in itself is nice, I would stay there again if necessary. I only interacted with the staff at the reception desk, and they were polite and nice.

We recently returned from the Winter holiday, we were accomodated at Best Western Bucovina for the first time. The superior rooms with balcony are indeed “superior”. They are placed at the 6th floor out of 7, offering a perfect site of the town. Beds are extremly comfortable, the rooms are large and warm. Very Clean! We will definately come back!

Avoid first floor: it floods. Also the smell from the bathroom is horrific (sewerage smell). Breakfast was more than fine, good coffee and pastry. Room was clean, bed was confy. A big plus: it was warm, although windows did not close properly.

The hotel is an old one renovated. The stay was pleasent but it wasn't a 4 start hotel stay. Walls are thin, the windows do not keep out the noises from outside. When we entered the room the smell from the sewerage was strong as they haven't cleaned it. The bathroom didn't have the disinfect signs. But it wasn't all bad. The beds were confortable. And the shower is big. For a 4 star hotel you would expect to have more variety of dishes to eat and signs stating what you take from the buffet in case you have allergies, those were missing. Therefore I had to eat only foods where it was clear what they contain. The more traditional foods I couldn't touch.

We were two nights. The staff was friendly and helpfuly. Room was confortable, very clean and you have all you need for the stay: tv, minibar, dryer, bath accesories... Traditional and very good dishes in the restaurant! We loved it! Breakfast was also very good, there are lots of options in the buffet. Is a good place as base to explorate the area.

This hotel has been part of our Romania tour package and booked by our Bucharest operator. In spite of not having all-glowing reviews we, found the property to be welcoming, warm and providing a good and comfortable base for the exploration of the area. Its location is almost irrelevant within the small market- town of GH and, although it may look like it is in the center, other properties can be equally acceptable in terms of location. The town has little to offer. The staff at the BW Bucovina is doing a great job in spite of the alleged lack of hotel workforce in Romania. Rooms were comfortable and well kept. Breakfast was rich. During our second morning there were two large groups eating in the same time so arriving to bearkfast earlier is advised. A very pleasant stay.

We stayed there in August when the temperatures were really hot so found the lack of air conditioning annoying.We slept with all the windows open but there were dogs barking just outside the hotel ( my pet hate !!!) The hotel is very big and was full of coach parties so at breakfast it was chaotic as everyone came down at the same time.This also meant that it was a long wait for the lifts .On the plus side there was a kettle in the room.

Location: we stayed here as a starting point to go to the monasteries as well as to check out the local area. The hotel is across from a coffee shop, bank with ATM and walking distance to a restaurant you the river that the front desk recommended. This is a rural area so be prepared for dog barking through the night and rooster crowing in the morning. Staff: Staff was pretty much friendly. The front desk staff named AnaMarie (sp? - the one who worked in London for a period-wish I had her name proper to give props) was the best staff person I meet in my almost two weeks in Romania and is probably the only person in Romania who understand the term customer service. The other front desk staff were friendly but seemed very pre occupied at checkout to get the room keys cards back and kept asking if we turned them in even before we had all checked out. My biggest grip is i don't think the Best Western reward program has made its way to Romania. None of the benefits regarding our diamond level were offered or understood. Additionally none of our reservations got run through our account, claiming that it doesn't work through third party sites (which has never been an issue anywhere else). It's been a nightmare to try to fix upon our return. Food: food was good and the breakfast/coffee offered was not the best we had in Romania, but descent. Rooms: rooms were ok but had no AC. We were there during a particular hot period and our rooms were hot even at night with the balcony door open. We did get a couple of fans from the front desk which was helpful. Our room had a giant concrete pillar in it which made the room smaller, harder to get around and less room for luggage. There are two floors with balconies so that was nice.

Service very slow. They gave the excuse they were changing shifts. There were plenty of staff walking around seemingly purpousfully but carefuly not noticing you. Took ages to get menu, longer to finf someone to give the order to and then even longer to get the food. The bill came quick, though!

Gets three stars because of the facilities, excellent choice of breakfast items and some facilities. Clean and nice room, minibar, all that you'd expect from a 4-star hotel. Central location a bonus, but the busy street isn't that quiet, day or night. But there are some not so good points to be mentioned as well. The WIFI signal is not at all good (useless), we had to use the mobile hotspot. The water pressure in the bathroom is weak, the shower reaches at most 30cm from the wall. If you have long hair then washing it will take a long time. Also, the light on the mirror could be brighter for shaving. We had a weird toilet seat, smaller than the pan, I'm not even sure that it is the matching seat for that pan. The flushing system panel has been installed the other way around, and the fan in the bathroom is hanging out (not working). There are no hanging wires, so I guess it might be legal from the health and safety point of view. It's summer time and quite hot, be advised, no air con in the rooms. And if you keep (and sleep) with the windows open, then the street noise might wake you up a few times a night. The fire extinguishers in the halls could do with a check as some have passed the expiry date on them.

We spent two nights here in May to see the painted monasteries and Bucovina. The rooms are small but comfortable. We did not eat in the dining room, but we did enjoy a drink at the bar. We really liked being able to walk around and explore the area. I would stay here again.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights to see the Painted Monasteries in the area. We were booked in the junior suite - a large room with a separate sitting and sleeping area. It generally had everything an American chain would give you - an electric kettle with coffee condiments, bathroom amenities and so on. The only issue is that some parts of the room look a little worn out and I wish they provided more power points to charge our devices. The restaurant had a good menu, especially for vegetarians. The service was particularly good (I'll mention Karina here) with some of the servers speaking very good English. The hotel is large, well located in the centre of the town at the main roundabout of the town and caters to bus-groups too. Overall a good stay.

Called to ask details and book an apt for 2019 Easter in Bucovina. Irina Ivorciuc, Marketing Manager was very polite, had extensive knowledge of other departments like restaurant's menus, enterteimant in and out of the hotel, etc. The hotel was almost booked for this event but Irina found a way to offer me a nice family room, sent me pictures, worked with me late at 10 pm (our time in US 4pm) and in the end I have paid in full and I am a very, very happy customer. Best Western congratulations for such exceptional employees like Irina Ivorciuc. I have paid over $1,100 for five days only because her outstanding work and dedication. She was a very influential sales person with excellent communication skills. I am positive she brings a lot of value to Best Western. Make sure nobody “steals” her, Because her professionalism belongs to a five star hotel team!

We came here only to have dinner. Serving was slow. He forgot about a child's burger. " Gustarea baciului" very good, traditional 100%, i really recommend it. Trout was ok, nothing special. Pasta ok, aldente. Burger was also ok. Desserts weren't so good, neither apple strudel and lava cake. Prices are a bit high. Menu contains many options.

I want to know if these hotels have “best western” certification. The premium room was very small, with old furniture, the elevator was busy all the time because of overbooking. Breakfast was poor, the staff unfriendly, the party of New Year was crowded as the organizer failed to accommodate two hundred people in a place which barely can comfortably serve only one hundred. The children didn't have a place at the table and had to stand if she wanted to join the party.

Reception very efficient and nice room with the best shower we experienced in several weeks of traveling. But there was no free bottles of water or safe in the room and temperature difficult to control (couldn't find a thermostat, though temperature seemed to be centrally controlled).

We stayed 2 nights in the Best Western and we were happy with our stay. We had a nice, clean and quiet room, not big, but big enough and with a beautiful renovated bathroom and a nice view. Reception is friendly and helpful. Before our arrival, we send an e-mail to the hotel for making a reservation for a taxi for the whole day. By arriving, they told us that everything was OK for our trip. Location is good, in the centre of Gura and at walking distance from the bus station and train station. The breakfast buffet is good, without being special. But their are a lot of groups in the hotel and so it can be very busy in the restaurant. The staff is working hard, but they can not refill everything in an adequate way, and so sometimes you have to wait because things are empty. There are only big tables in the restaurant, you you have to share the table with other people, so not a quiet breakfast for two. For the rest, no complaints.

Came back from touring and the maid service had occurred because there were new towels, however, the beds were not made. The sink was not cleaned. Inexcusable! Never stayed in a Best Western where that ever occurred. There is no air conditioning. The rooms are small and dated. The WiFi is good. The amenities like soap are pathetic. Poor water pressure in the shower. Lousy pillows and bed. Mediocre breakfast. Good location.

This is a big hotel. It is at the city closest to access all the monasteries. There are tons of big groups, which can be problematic for smaller groups or solo travelers. The rooms are fine. Bathroom was nicer than expected. Our room faced away from the main street and was relatively quiet, with the exception of dogs barking and roosters crowing. Breakfast was the usual fare. Considering the number of people, it was clean and well stocked. Elevator wait time can be long in the morning as the groups take over with luggage etc.

I really don't know where to start... We had a 3 day stay here. When we checked in and tried to oppen the door but the cards were not working and had to change them. Those card stoped working again one day before we leaved and they had to change them again. The parking is too small for all the people's cars and they crowd them all there. Because of that they waked me at 8 in the morning one day to clear the whay for somebody who wanted to leave. The room is poorly made, i also sense a smell of sheep, in the bathroom the lights blinks at night when it is closed, the lights switch in the room seems broken becase the lights blink from time to time when on, might me a electrical contact problem. In the bathroom the towel stand felt down. The TV is not working properly, had a lot of white noise on the picture. The bed is ok, big, had a big balcony. The breakfast is ok but not great.

The rooms and bathroom are clean but furniture is a bit old fashioned. The staff is polite and well informed. Breakfast buffet is a bit above average. The public spaces are small for the size of the hotel. Good bartender.

Barely a three stars even they said it is a four stars hotel. Bed regular. With very very poor pillows. The courts in to block the sun in the morning is useless it doesn't block anything, at 5.30 in the morning all sunlight came into the room waking you up. The bathroom very dark if you want to shave yourself or make you up it is very difficult because there is almost no light. In the good points. There are a big car parking private in the front of the hotel and the restaurant has tradicional dishes at good prices.

The hotel is in the middle of a boring town with no good restaurants within walking distance. Our room had a strange shape, with a pillar in the wrong place making it difficult to get into bed. But once in bed the mattress was pretty comfortable. The room had a small flat screen TV with numerous English speaking channels. There was no air conditioning, but windows opened wide, luckily it was not very hot outside. Good bathroom with a shower stall, but the door to the bathroom made it difficult to get in and out.. Good breakfast, and the dinner at the hotel's restaurant was pretty good. Slow small elevator, this is a problem because they have large groups using the hotel,

The Best Western Bucovina is located in the center of Gura Humorului. The city has nothing special but is close from the big monasteries of Bucovina. The hotel is very good: efficient staff, nice and clean rooms, well-equipped. The breakfast buffet is nice as well, proposing a broad choice of food.

We celebrated an important event in our life with family and best friends. Rooms are beautifully decorated in a traditional yet modern style, clean with a big comfortable bed and a big shower in the bathroom (for all sizes). For those of you who are looking for a traditional place yet comfy and modern style amenities, this is the place! Breakfast had plenty of options, with fruit and vegetables included for those who are looking for more than regular egg and cheese??. I especially liked the local products included (jams, yogurt, etc.), I tried it all, after all, we came to Bucovina especially for the food :). We also had dinner there on the long weekend that we spent and the food was delicious, I can't recommend only one dish, all my family enjoyed the variety - tochitura, the haloumi burgers, sarmale, the veal or the shrimp risotto - it was all great! Many thanks to all the staff for making us feel so great, we had a wonderful family gathering especially owing to their efforts. We can't wait to come to Bucovina again!

Pros: The rooms were very clean. The food was good, for all three meals. There wasn't much variety at breakfast comparative to other hotels, but for me was OK. I had a spacious room (for 2-3 people) on 8th floor. Staff was friendly. No cons :).

We were having a "roots" trip myself and three children. The hotel is in walking distance of all the highlights we needed to visit. Rooms clean and spacious. Bathroom adequate. Our supper wasn't special-very small trout, and the breakfast buffet was the same. Staff at reception very helpful and kind.

A big disapointment! Room was small and had a bad smell, old furniture and lack of any 4 * accesories (sleepers, bathrobe, hairdryer, etc). Breakfast is popor and with low quality products. Even if the personell is nice, this cannot change the overall impression. A hotel that really need to be improved if they want to keep their clients. And something that shocked me...on the desk is a bottle of water you think is complimentary,for the guest...no way, on bottle neck is a small paper with the price. To conclude, the location of the hotel is very good, but don't have 4* expectation!

In short: - very small rooms - strange smell at the reception - bad wi-fi connection - parties are organized in the hotel till late in the night and the music resonnates up to the 6th floor and they do not care at the reception about ur complaints (actually they do not answer the phone) There are many other small accomodation places in the area, so u will find a better value for money in another place.

We stayed only for a night and we felt welcomed. Suitable for friends and for families with children. We had a nice time using the Spa and after the children played in the room organized for them. We will return in others trips. Nice breakfeast and friendly people.

Went to their restaurant for a second year in a row. I can't seem to find a reason for their above average prices. The food is ok, their menu tries to mark some checkboxes found in classy restaurants, but they have no idea how to properly cook those fancy, expensive dishes. Had beef-based dishes both years and they've tasted like they were made by an amateur. 3 stars for the friendly, fast staff.

Me and my friends in Gura Humorului mostly go here for drinks and coffee as it provides the best service and also a relaxing atmosphere to have meaningful and not so meaningful conversations. I definitely recommend this place as the cocktails are cheap staff is also friendly and helpful and most importantly knowledgeable in English for when I have foreign friends coming over.

we stayed here for 3 nights. we were not part of a tour group and thought that it would be easy to find a local english speaking guide (for visiting the painted monasteries). boy, were we wrong. the only tour company in town did not have an english speaking guide because it was off-seaon. we were looking at the 2 signs in the lobby, lamenting the fact that the one local company did not have an english speaking guide and the company from suceava had a set itinerary and would charge us twice as much because there were only two of us. the hotel manager, miki, saw us standing there discussing our situation and came over to talk with us. he arranged for a private guide who agreed to the itinerary we wanted and charged us a very reasonable price. the reception desk clerks were kind also, helping with a variety of small details. we ate dinner once and breakfast twice in the hotel restaurant. because it was off-season, there was no breakfast buffet, but instead we were able to order anything from the menu without restrictions. there was a "beverage buffet" at breakfast with coffee, teas, and juices. the room was clean and well maintained. the location of the hotel was ideal. the entire town is quite small, so one could walk to all of the restaurants and the museum easily. the humor monastery is a short bus ride from the hotel. (because of this, we visited all of the further monasteries with our guide and did humor on our own )

Stayed here for one night. This is a real hotel with standards comparing with the other accommodation options in the area (pensions and family houses). Helpful staff, tasty food, good beer?? , and excellent wifi connection. The hotel is located right in the city center in Gura Humorului. Enjoy!

No hot pot, tiny bathroom with leaky shower, single room. Breakfast was just okay, but had to wait for one of three coffee machines. Slow elevators, used stairs to my 3rd floor room #301. Good WiFi in room. Disappointing for a Best Western Hotel. But they did have a nice billiards table in the lobby. Buffet dinners had lots of variety including some good soups and local dishes.

The room I had was arranged for occupancy for a single person, and thus smallish. It had a small balcony which overlooked the front of the the hotel. The paint on the walls showed damage and its color left a lot to be desired. In short, both need updating. The light for reading and the light in the bathroom were pretty dim. I was glad to have a room at the end of the hall, as rooms next to the elevators were very noisy, I was told. Breakfast was very crowded. As mentioned earlier, it does cater to large tour groups.

The hotel is very large and caters for bus/coach groups with a quick turn round of guests. Check in was quick and efficient. Our twin room was rather dark even though it faced the front of the hotel. It was cramped but the beds were comfortable. The walk in shower was large and looked quite new. The towels were very thin and worn. Although the room was clean there was a thick layer of dust around the edges of the carpet and the walls could benefit from a fresh coat of paint. Meal times were very chaotic, buffet food tables crammed into a small barely accessible area. Food was not very appetising. Too many dining tables making it very difficult to get to and from the buffet tables.

Not exactly up to the standards expected of a Best Western. The town is certainly a working community and the views are somewhat grim. The staff are efficient rather than welcoming and the food rates only the adjective 'passable'. Given the environment there is a deal of early morning noise.

Stayed here as part of a tour with C&K. This is clearly a hotel for coach parties as there were at least 3 others here along with the party I was with. Bearing that in mind you would think the hotel would be able to cope with a mass influx of people at meal times, but no. Both breakfast and dinner on the 2 days we stayed here were frequently under replenished, with long queues for coffees in the morning and popular items running out quickly (not helped by people piling their plates up with food). The hotel should really coordinate with tour operators to stagger when their parties are eating, although I appreciate this may not be possible when tours need to start early. The room we had at the front of the building was hot (no air conditioning) as the sun shone in it from the afternoon onwards and the room was dark and had a feeling of being run down. There is a busy road outside and a roundabout, but the windows when closed kept a lot of the noise out and the traffic noise did die down in the night although with no a/c the room did get hot. Other members of our tour complained about a dogs barking from about 5am at the back of the building. On the plus side the bathroom looked like it had been recently refurbished and the shower was good. The location is good too as the painted churches aren't that far away, and although there isn't much to Gura Humorului there is a large supermarket and some bars.

Modern hotel in center of town. Reception quick and pleasant, small lifts to room. Reasonable size room with usually amenities plus first hotel in Romania we have come across with tea making facilities in room. Very clean, only problem was seems were not wide enough for the bed and soon got crumpled and uncomfortable made for a poor night sleep.

We were in room 117 which, at least, being at the back of the hotel meant we could open the windows as the room was horribly hot and stuffy... (no air con - thank goodness we weren't there in the height of summer!!) rooms at the front overlooked a busy road. One night was quiet, the other, a party behind the hotel woke us up until 4am but we couldn't shut the window due to the stuffiness of the room. The beds were not very comfortable and the duvets very thin. The room itself was very small and with a huge pillar in one corner which meant the beds were awkward to walk around, one bedside cabinet had to be at the end of the bed not by the pillow! there was no room to swing a cat at all! The room did have a beverage tray - limited. The bathroom had clearly been newly done BUT... the loo roll holder and towel rail were hanging off the wall as was the shower socket! the towels were not special. Food was very much the old - so we felt - 'bus tour processing' standard. The dining room was VERY hot, VERY crowded and noisy. One night our group had a verbal exchange with another as both had been allocated the same tables! organisation wasn't a strong point at the hotel we felt! The food choices were limited and both breakfast and dinner were basic. Some of the staff were pleasant and really tried. Sadly we were very happy to leave the hotel and I've not said that for decades...

I don't understand how this hotel got 4 stars. Very small rooms. Small beds. No air conditioning. The dinner buffet was ok but not real that much choice. It was very crowded and the buffet was not that big. The breakfast buffet was not excellent.

Congratulations for Raluca at the hotel restaurant. She is an excellent professional and a very pleasant character. She is a perfect reason for someone to come back and stay at the hotel. The hotel is perfect.

It is a very Good restaurant with romanian traditional food. Rooms are a Little bit old but very clean.............. Hotel is nearby from a lot of monasteries the most beautiful Voronet monastery is at only 5 km distance.

On my vacation across moldova and bucovina region we stopped for one night in Gura humorului. We had dinner on the hotels balcony were they have a restaurant. Even tough service was a little slow, probably because of a big group of kids present there, the food was just amazing. We had romanian traditional food accompanied by some romanian alcoholic drinks. For desert I would recommend "papanasi" , romanian doughnuts made from cows chees and served with sourcreme.

Class AAA hotel in Gura Humorului, quiet, clean, luxury, excellent food, nice location if you are visiting the famous painted Monasteries of Northern Moldova. Ask for a glass of the best local "tzuica" nice and very friendly waiter.

We stayed for two night's. Our room on the sixth floor was at the front of the hotel with views across the roundabout and associated streets and hills. We had a large balcony, but the street was noisy through the night. No aircon in our room meaning we had to leave both balcony door and window open all night for air. The bathroom was modern, adequate size and everything worked.! Wifi was OK but intermittent based on how many others were using it. The cleaner did a really poor job on the second day, too lazy to make the bed etc. Breakfast was included and quite ok. Restaurant did pretty good meals and very reasonably priced. Outdoor seating available,which is enjoyable as the weather warms up. We enjoyed this modest but reasonable hotel. Not much else in town for competition.

To call this a 4* hotel is an embarrassment. I had a tiny room, very basic, with folks next door that came in at 10:30PM each night with a wailing baby and screaming toddler. I could hear everything through the paper thin walls. No sleep for 2 nights for me. Decent breakfast and the buffet dinner was okay also.

Good Location, rooms a bit weird(207) quite dark other tour members said the same, sloping ceiling. Shower cubicle small, if large person could be difficult. Wifi was sporadic, air con good. Breakfast OK

First of all we appreciated that this hotel is pet friendly and this gave us the chance to bring our dog. The room are big and clean, not necessary according to Best Western standard that I have found in our countries. The stuff are friendly and talking, but their biggest issue is that they are not informed regarding each touristic package that they have for their guests. The wellness spa brings another positive feedback for the hotel. A small drawback to take into consideration is that the fried eggs and omlette from breakfast are not tasty -are very dried. The other meals are a great variety of tasty dishes- not to mention the cakes from dessert- home made ones- the best I have ever eaten in a hotel.

I drove to Bucovina in june to see the monasteries and also the beautiful area witch everybody spoke of. I was impressed with the hotel; It was the only one in the area. The staff was very nice with us. The rooms were average in size for a 4 star hotel. The rooms were cleaned every day but with not so much effort. One of our windows did not close but that was not a problem because the weather was hot. You don't have to many places to eat. At the hotel the food is great. and diversified. I tried to reserve a massage at the hotel's spa, but the stuff did not answer and when it did i already went to another place, Cacica ( 40 km away) , witch had great service. At the hotel ,the prices are a little to high for the services provided but i would surely recommend this hotel to others.

Sadly this hotel didn't live up to it's 5 star rating but it was clean and the free WiFi worked efficiently. No one came to help us with our bags; my room was rather small and dated - the sheet on the bed only just fitted; and, the bathroom was worse, with the tiniest of showers. The buffet dinner the night we arrived was ok, as was the breakfast - nothing special though considering it's rating. It is apparently the best hotel in the town and therefore made a really good base for visiting the painted monasteries. Fine for you nights.

Clean, central hotel. The personnel was very nice and helpful. The rooms are big and very clean. Expensive breakfast and all other facilities. Parking to small for all the guests, Each night we had issues in parking.

Part of a multinational chain of hotels....you would expect a diffrent service.We have been there for Valentine's day and we didn't have a very nice experience.The personal is way undertrained and not eagger to deliver the wow. WE got the most expensive VIP apartament....wich was ok....more or less...except the fact that second morning from 7 AM we had some workers drilling and welding wright next to our walls...So we were up from 7.30 AM.The Valentine's dinner was disgusting...they had Spanish night with paella and aliolio shrimps...in the middle of Bucovina ...a very traditional area of Romania..Not a good surprise. The SPA they advertise ...is poor...1 jacuzzi some salt room and a hot sauna...... The GOOD experience was the massage...the attendant really knew what she was doing...The massage was the higlight of our trip.

The staff are very helpful and attentive. When we ordered ice to be delivered to the room it was delivered very fast and within couple of minutes. We stay in the VIP apartment on the 8th floor it was nice room however a little outdated. The balconies were facing the town and mountains. This hotel has balconies only on 8th floor. The only issue was with the noise which woke us up early morning as they were renovating something. The restaurant in hotel had very poor menu. The hotel has spa complex. Massage was very good and at resonable price.

We have been once again skiing to Gura Humorului during school brake. We spent 4 days in this hotel. We have the opportunity to try out the Spa Area, the playground and the party hall located at the first floor just above the restaurant. The BF was good, not so diverse but good quality local products. We use a connected room on the fifth floor. Clean and very very warm. There were refurbishing on floor up or down but the noise was not disturbing. Enjoy.

Very nice people,good restaurant, small room,but warm and very clean. The hotel is near to everyrhing in Bucovina (specially for ski slope Soimu and Voronet monastery). Not far from Rarau by Campulung or Pojorata. Thank you

We stayed here in last weekend of January 2017. Booked in the begining of January, we paid 160 RON for 1 DBL/night, breakfast included and also spa facility included. If I had Since my last visit in 2016, I found redecorated rooms, specially bathrooms. Things I didn`t like: - very small parking place. If you go near the city, on the way back, you have to be sure that you won`t find a parking place. - I had small troubles with the electronic access card in the room. In 10-15 minutes, the problem was solved. Things I liked: - nice staff, always wiling to help and serve. - food - nice cuisine ! - new design of the rooms. - the view from the rooms - the kids club - big, nice toys, lots of options to play.

A great starting place for all the monasteries in Bucovina. In winter it seems a bit like Austria, but is Romania and has a lot to offer. Do absolutely visit Voronet. And try to have a chat with the nuns they are very fluent in English and French and will tell you all about the monastery

Hello? I paticipated in October 2016 to a business conference for 3 days. The hotel has a good restaurant with good food. The service was ok but there was a turkish(sorry if i am wrong) waiter who really had some problems with the soap and/or the water. The hotel has 2 elevators but one of them worked only half the time because it was broken. The rooms are equipped with old furniture. The bed has a string mattress and when my wife jumped in the bed i jumped out :) It was so funny?the first time. The bath is large but old. The shower had a plastic curtain. The wc had also a plastic reservoir. This features are more likely to be found in a 2 star motel not in a 4 star hotel. The room was clean. The staff is ok. The services are ok. Nothing special. I would gladly say that this is a good 2 star hotel. At most.

We stayed here for one night on our tour of Romania as its near the beautiful painted monasteries. Its a large hotel of 7 floors with only two very small lifts so going up or down with cases at peak times is a nightmare. Hotel itself is a bit 'brown' and would not be my first choice. Our room on the fifth floor faced the rear of the property so was quiet and night and in the morning. It was quite small and felt very cramped. There was an odd pillar in the room that took up space and did little for the ascetics, Room was dark although the lighting did improve the longer the lights were on, one light flashed for some time before going off. Bed was OK, room had TV and aircon. Bathroom was more modern but again quite small. Hotel gets lots of passing trade and tour groups so please dont expect much. We had dinner noisy buffet and breakfast here and food was quite poor. Hotel has a reasonable priced bar which is OK, there is a supermarket about five minutes away (turn left outside the front entrance) and afew bars/restaurants close by. All the staff we encountered were well trained and happy to serve their guests. Hotel itself is fine for one night but no more.

4 Star this hotel is not! It is situated on a very noisy roundabout with loud traffic noises. There was no air con.The electric fittings in my room were quite frightening. One bedside lamp was not working and the other one had two wires joined together with a piece of tape. The bathroom needed attention too. There was a wooden floor in there, including the shower which became very wet and slippery. the water did not drain away properly so I was standing in a little pool of water. The toilet roll holder was hanging off the wall. The sheet on the bed did not fit - it was too small - and the pillows were like rocks. I could not plug in my camera or my tablet - one electrical outlet was behind a heavy pice of furniture and the other one was where the bedside lamps were, so I did not dare to use that. I took my phone down to reception where Larissa very kindly plugged it for me overnight. The lifts did not work if more than 4 people, or sometimes even 3, got in. When we arrived there were 7 coaches outside. Scary! We did manage to find something to eat on the buffet with is open till 10 pm to accommodate the hordes of guests. Trying to have breakfast in the morning tried my patience. They ran out of cups for coffee, there were people milling around. The staff struggled to cope and there did not seem to be enough room for everyone to sit down. The hotel needs renovation. The lamps was working that night but the cable on the other one was still wrapped with tape. The staff do a very good job considering what they have to deal with.

Let's start with the positive....it's handy for the painted churches. Now let's list the negatives.... It's a reasonably large hotel of 7 or 8 floors with 2 microscopic lifts. Checking out was a nightmare as there were several large groups needing access to the lifts at the same time. Most people had to carry their cases down several flights of stairs otherwise it would have taken hours. None of the rooms have air conditioning and in a location where the daily temperature was 34 degrees and 20+ at night that is no joke. We were advised to leave the windows open instead! We endured a full night of barking dogs and car alarms which meant we had no sleep. For the second night we got a SMALL fan from reception which improved things slightly. The electrical and telephone sockets were hanging off the wall. The shower was quite good but the bathroom door wouldn't close and whoever laid the bathroom floor might of heard of a spirit level but clearly hadn't used one....there were more hills and valleys than the Carpathians! The room was oddly laid out...it had a 4ft by 4ft wide pillar that butted up to one of the beds....as a result the only way to access one third of the room was by climbing over the bed...that might be fun if you are 5 years old but quickly becomes wearing if you are an adult! We were told by our guide that all the rooms were the same. She couldn't understand why our group had been booked into this hotel. All in all this is the worst hotel I've stayed in anywhere in the world! 4 stars wasted. The hotel advertises itself as the best hotel in the area.....if that is the case I'd hate to see the others. There are easily enough visitors to justify someone building a decent 4 or 5 star competitor.

Nice location and staff . Rooms are basic without embellishments. Terrace rooms definitely preferable if available. You'll need a fan as they are hot and stuffy without one. Central location makes up for the dullness of the rooms. Breakfast features a jostle with bus tour clients but overall is ok.

Well...the room was clean; that is probably my most positive statement. The room was stuffy and worn. The dining room service was abysmal. The hotel was filled with large tour groups from all over the world, so getting anything off of the breakfast buffet was a real challenge. Also, the neighborhood had only one redeeming feature; a very good pizza place.

The best food in town, the only place where you can find something without meat. New furniture in restaurant since our last visit. Good service as always, child friendly place and attitude. The spa offers one of the best massage ever.

There isn't really anything to complain. The suite was spacious, with great view to the city center. The restaurant serves very well cooked traditional dishes. The hotel is placed near all major attractions in Bucovina region. I highly recommend it.

we stayed for one night only and we were lucky it was not very hot, because they don't have air conditioning and if it is hot I don't know what you can do. Of course you can leave the window open but they don't have mosqitos net at the window either. The bathroom looked ok but the room looks quite old - old sheets and curtains.

ENGLISH: The worst worst hotel I've seen! Pena with mildew at breakfast! Rooms without air conditioning! Taking a shower is very difficult because ice cold water before and after boiling! the bed without sheets .. You sleep on the mattress! In the restaurant it was over water in the coffee machine ... And they refuse to put beautiful machine water! Do not stay at this hotel! You will want to run away! Romania is very beautiful, this hotel is rccezione .. A real toilet. While we were eating for breakfast we had a waitress who was watching us! Horrendous! Never again here !!! We have a disabled person: a waitress looked at us and laughing with her colleague! I do not know what's so funny to watch a disabled person! ITALIANO: Il peggior hotel peggiore che io abbia visto ! Pena con muffa a colazione ! Stanze senza climatizzatore ! Fare la doccia è molto difficile perché acqua prima ghiacciata e subito dopo bollente ! i letto senza lenzuola.. Si dorme sul materasso ! In ristorante era finita acqua nella macchina del caffè ... E loro si rifiutano di mettere acqua bella macchinetta! Non venite in questo hotel ! Vi verrà voglia di fuggire ! La Romania è molto bella, questo hotel fa rccezione.. Un vero gabinetto . Mentre mangiavamo a colazione avevamo una cameriera che ci spiava ! Orrendo ! Mai più qui !!! Abbiamo una persona disabile: una cameriera ci guardava e rideva con la sua collega ! Non so cosa c'è da ridere a guardare una persona disabile !

We had lunch here. the food was delicious, the service great. a child friendly experience. The desert ("papanasi"), excellent and prices very decent. I will be searching for this place in my return to Gura Humorului.

I came back for one night. I found the same atmosphere and respect for customers. The staff in the spa respectful and polite. The menu at the restaurant diverse and quality food. However, I do not recommend using the hotel's Wi-Fi network because it is password protected! Upon leaving I was disturbed by the attitude of the receptionist who preferred to serve some Spanish tourists all over !! He was polite to ask Spaniards to be patient and respect the person on their prior education matter, civilization and respect for people who share a temporary location !!

had a great time at this hotel, if i am to visit Gura Humorului again, Best Western will surely be the place to stay. The room was very nice and clean, the bathroom super clean, new furniture. And the view from the room was a very big plus!

The hotel is in the centre of town, next to a roundabout, with plenty of parking at the front. Check in was very simple and efficient and in perfect English. Our room (609) was on the sixth floor and had a wonderful balcony with views over the town. The room was a good size and nicely furnished with a decent bathroom. There were plenty of power sockets by the desk and wifi was very good. The downside of the front rooms is the noise from the road, we'd have liked to have the door open (no AC) but it was a bit too noisy. Ah well, the views made up for it :) We would have liked to use the spa - it looked like there were some good treatments on offer - but there was no one down there when we went there. Sadly there was no gym either (not sure if the web shows a fitness room?) Breakfast was decent and the hotel was well located for us to visit the painted monasteries. Restaurant We looked around at the other local offerings but they mostly seemed to be for pizza type snacks rather than a meal so we opted for the hotel. We sat outside which was a bit quieter as there were a few coach parties inside. We placed our order and waited while the drinks arrived, Fatih Ashram (the restaurant manager?) served us and was helpful and chatty with excellent English. We then ordered our mains after some recommendations from him and when they arrived the portions were definitely a respectable size! The food was very nice and the service was just superb, it really makes a huge difference when you have someone who spends a bit of time to engage with you. Following further discussions I had a good assortment of desserts while my wife opted for ice cream, both were again very nice and despite our indulgence the total cost was less than a basic meal for 2 in the UK. The service here really made the evening memorable - thank you Ash.

We had a great stay there. Food is very nice and everyone in the hotel very kind. there is no pool so we had to go to Arinis park for that. Room was very clean but bed a bit small for 2 parents and a child. room service was quick and nice.

My husband and I did not stay here, but during a walk into town from our B&B, decided to stop here for a drink on the terrace. One peek inside and I knew we made the right choice in accommodations. The hotel had a stale smell to it, not to mention how it looked. My husband ordered two drinks -mine never came and no explanation was offered until he got up and asked about it. Not to mention the huge, nasty tour bus that pulled up right in front of the hotel and blocked our view out onto the little square in the center of town. I was so glad we were not staying here!

Not sure if any better options exist in Gura Humorului as our travel firm booked this hotel saying it is the best one. It is a rather large busy hotel but desk service has been fine thus far. The room is satisfactory - not luxurious but also not uncomfortable at all. It is clean with a good bed and decent bathroom. There is no air conditioning which is OK now I early June with our windows open but I am not sure how it is in mid summer. The breakfast buffet is good. We did not have dinner at the hotel. The dining room is large but appeared to be fully booked up this weekend.

We attended a congress and I am happy to say that everything went by the book. The room was ellegant, clean and the bathroom as well. We slept great as the mattress was soft and very good for the back and the window courtain made it putch black in the room. We found extra pillows in the closet and all the amenities one would need, plus the provided an iron and ironing board on request. Food at their restaurant was also good, both the open bar ensured for congress attendants, and the a la carte menu, the staff did their best to make you feel comfortable as well. Really nice impression!

Rooms are pleasant enough but our stay was let down badly by poor breakfasts. They ran out of hot water for making tea - it was eventually replenished but this took some time. Buffet selection not particularly good and hot food was warm at best. We had one evening meal prepared specially (I.e. Not buffet) and it was a nice selection of grilled meats unfortunately served almost cold which was a shame. It wouldn't take much to up things in the restaurant. It was very nice to sit out and enjoy a drink on the terrace at the front on the warm evening we were there.

Another charming hotel facing the mountains. Staff effecient. Food good.Good breakfast. Take higher floor. Rooms are comfortable. Double beds bit small so ask for twin beds. Bathroom well lit and aminities sufficient.

Great location, good comfortable rooms withbalcony. Not too many great options in this town so this is prob the best. Restaurant is actually pretty good. Ate dinner there both nights and the food was very good surprisingly, so don't feel you have to go out. That being said Hilde's restaurant got good reviews from some other travelers we talked to. Also nice spa at the hotel, again surprisingly with jacuzzi, sauna, salt room etc. Had an Awesome massage there from the spa manager, Carmen. She is truly fantastic and I have had hundreds of massages around the world so I am seriously picky. Highly recommend her.

The hotel is placed right in the center of the town at equal distance from two beautiful touristic attractions: Humor and Voronet Monasteries. The room was great (at 4th floor), spatious, with beautiful furniture, very comfortable mattress. The bathroom was renovated and very clean. The view from the balcony was very nice. Good food and great service both in the restaurant and at the reception, very proffessional and kind. I also enjoyed the services of the SPA, great massage. At leave I received a nice surprise, a jar of home made jam in a small bag traditional for Bucovina. Great customer experience!

The hotel is rated 4* but, sorry for them, it is only ranking 3*. What I didn't like - small parking lot - old furniture design, exclusive wood, wood and, ofcourse wood. - food : I was expecting something traditional, but I received something good, but normal cuisine. - price per services ; - only 2 elevators (small ones) for such a big hotel. Staff is ok, willing to help and usefull. The prices in March 2016 are: - 65 eur / sgl - 84 eur / dbl The hotel is located right in the city center. From this hotel, you can go the Arinis Sport Complex (10 min. Car trip) or local Monasteries (also 10 minutes, Humor and Voronet).

This hotel is right in the centre of the town and is a spectacular building. The inside of the hotel is slightly faded but the rooms that we had (on the 6th floor) were clean and comfortable. Our rooms had a balcony with superb views over the town and surrounding countryside. The car park is not very big so we had to park elsewhere on one occasion. We ate in the restaurant once and the food was not brilliant but they were rushed off their feet catering for a huge party so maybe not typical. Breakfast was good and staff friendly.

Old building, clean, rooms nicely renovated. Good value for the money Very nice and helpful staff, the restaurant a bit pricey. Being downtown and on a busy street, very noisy. Overall a good experience.

Unfortunately I didn't stay at this hotel because we could not find free rooms. I just tried the restaurant (the food is very good) and the bar downstairs. The hotel is a blessing for this place! I recommand!

My group of 30 adults spent two nights at the Best Western Bucovina in mid-January. Our rooms were very clean, with fresh bed linens and fresh towels. The rooms are not spacious by any means, but are more than adequate. The breakfast buffet was simply outstanding with a large selection for both local and western tastes. I want to thank Marius, who assisted me for a outstanding job in getting my large group checked-in in a very efficient manner and for making us feel right at home.

We spent a mini vacation in Gura Humorului,staying at the Best Western Bucovina,4* hotel ; accommodation very good for the price we pay, SPA acces,breakfast,parking included. In addition the hotel is pet friendly and wheelchair access! The rooms on the upper floors have balconies characterized by cleanliness,warmth and great views(we were staying on the 7th floor).Ghotic furnished rooms. We recommend this hotel !!!

A 4 * hotel where I feel great and where always come with pleasure for relaxation and recreation. The staff is friendly and Policies that restaurant with quality and diverse menu and relaxing spa area with ambient music and refreshing. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with furniture in Gothic; They overlook the mountains or the city, and the view is wonderful, no matter the season. I recommend this location which always come with pleasure.

Clean room, not very spacious but well fited, clean bathroom and good breakfast. All this with a fair price. For me was a good deal and I felt good in this hotel. The restaurant is cheap (for the romanian standard, not the local one), with a large offer of food from local cuisine. Recomand it.

The hotel in the center of Gura Humorului, Suceava is one of the best hotels to be rest your back for couple of Days in this beautiful country side. The rooms are in excellent condition and comfortable, the service at the buffet is amazing. we enjoined the Romanian food varieties and the other selections.

Just have revisited this hotel on a two-night stay. Stayed here several times in the past. There is a major improvement since the new management took over. The reception desk was very polite, caring and efficient. While the room was not very large, it was spotless and offered a great view of the rolling hills of Bucovina. We found the breakfast a major improvment since the last visit here two years ago. The hotel has the best possible location in town and it is the only one with an elevator as all the other hotel facilities there have no elevator.

It is a Best Western so you can expect to find all the creature comforts you are used to. Only downside is you have to ask the front desk for a kettle and coffee, make sure you mention tea as well or you'll find yourself calling the front desk more than you wish. The service was courteous and the breakfast pretty decent. I would not eat the buffet dinner again as it was pricey for Romania standards. We also asked to change rooms so the front desk were really good sports for someone who must of been perceived as quite picky. Rooms were nice, spacious and comfortable and they have entire non-smoking rooms which is great.

I'm back in this location situated in the center of Gura Humorului, Suceava county. The room was located on the 7th floor and had a balcony. Clean, spacious, with a comfortable bed. The spa area includes dry and wet sauna rooms, jacuzzi, relaxation area, and salt room for chromotherapy and aromatherapy room. The staff, the restaurant and the SPA helpful and friendly. Breakfast rich and varied.

This hotel,in an ideal location for visiting the painted monasteries, is very homely and comfortable. I enjoyed staying here much more than the more luxurious hotels on our Romanian tour. We had a cosy room, good shower, buffet breakfast and dinner were both good and filling. Full of tour groups, obviously their main source of custom. The staff were young, charming and obliging.

in gura humorului it is not easy to find relatively western standard hotels. BW fills this gap. a reasonable hotel, efficient and kind staff, parking, good breakfast, and spacious room well equipped . good base for the painted monestaries of bucovina.

Location is very good in center of city .The room is a litle smaller but for bad and breakfest is ok , clean and quite . We stay on seventh floor with beautiful street view.The food are good with local flavour , I recommend radauteana soup . Good place for visit Bucovina monasteries .

The location couldn't be better. Perfect place if you are going to visit Bucovina monasteries. Breakfast and dinner ate quite good. However room and bathroom are quite small. There is no air conditioner in the room, so you would have to sleep with the window open during summer.
