Very clean, bed comfortable, large room and bathroom, and friendly staff. Would stay there again. Very close to Town Square in Granbury. Small square pillow, but they work. Room is nice size and large bathroom. Elevator in building. Breakfast was fine with scrambled eggs that actually were not runny.
The hotel room was adequate for our needs for the two night stay. Sunday night was very empty after an eventful Saturday. Room was clean and the in room shower/bath gave some great hot water. I went down Saturday evening to use the hot tub, and to my surprise that water was ice cold as was the pool... no signs or any warning to this issue. Upon checkout I was informed that they were down and waiting for parts. Wish there could have been some warning before booking...
Dated, needs repairs! Rusted fixtures in showers. Rotten curtains falling apart. Horrible Continental breakfast, premade and poor quality. Not enough choices. No housekeepers on duty to make-up room or to exchange towels. First Bad Best Western I have stayed at in a very long time.
This is the absolute best place to stay in Granbury for business or pleasure. It is conveniently close to the downtown district/tourist spots, but then again it's a small town so everything is within the downtown district.
The mattress had what appeared to be blood stained and the hotel tried to cover it up. Sheets were old and stained, torn. Do my stay here. If they think it's ok to try hiding this that's totally unacceptable. I don't pull sheets back very often and maybe I should but I could not stay in that hotel even if they gave me the best room in this hotel. If I could add pics I would.
I recently had a car wreck and broke my back. I was healed enough to travel but needed a handicap room for safety. This room was so dangerous, I could not take a shower because of the way the shower was made. The water ran out on the floor in the bathroom into a drain in the middle of the room. Falling is a big concern for someone handicapped. Grab bars were placed incorrectly and obviously nobody inspected this room that had ever needed such things. The mattress was so soft I could not get in and out of bed by myself. Don't go here if you are handicapped.
The Hotel was nearly full upon check in. Got to my room and found that the A/C did not work. Reported it and unfortunately there were no other rooms available at the time to suit the duration of my stay. The next morning the water fluctuated from scalding hot to ice cold forcing me to jump in and out of the water during my shower. I reported the issues daily. It wasn't until my last night there that that were able to move me into a different room. It tended to be cooler outside than it was in my room. The last day while I was checking out, the manager was there and I spoke to him. He informed me that he read the notes left by his staff and he is aware of the issue. There was no offer of any sort of compensation. I'm happy to pay for my stay but some sort of compensation should have been offered since a portion of the services I paid for did not work. Not to mention that I had my dog with me and he had to stay in the room all day while I was at work.
Have stayed at this location numerous times. The hotel and rooms could use an update. Our room was fairly quiet but no housekeeping available. Breakfast was like a fast food experience due to vendor issues.
The staff here are so very nice and helpful. The hotel was adequate and met our needs but an older hotel without a lot of amenities found in newer places. The beds were very soft and there were amazingly few USB ports to be found. The location of the hotel is very handy.
I booked multiple rooms for my grandfather's funeral to go and honor a war vet and preacher. I made a simple mistake of selecting the day of the booking instead of the next day. I realized the mistake hours later and called the office. I received the “my hands are tied” speech with a request to call back later when the manager would be there. I called back later to be told the manager will never be there and he's the only person in the world that can issue a refund and there's no phone number that can be given in order to reach this mystical manager. I've seen bad customer service before but this one seems shocking enough for me to write a review. If I ever get a refund I'll come back and edit this but right now I'm super disappointed. I ended up using my entire hotel budget and never got a room. I can't rate the other aspects as I never got a room.
I have visited this location with my family for a number of years and have rarely been disappointed, even during the pandemic. We have always been able to count on an enjoyable stay. I like the convenient location right off of the main road and close to the square.
Overall stay was great. Staff was friendly. Rooms and amenities were clean. Breakfast was pretty good. Hot tub jets did not work but hot tub was at least warm and enjoyable. Advertised heated pool which was not heated but was at least indoors. Close to a lot of shopping and dining.
Not up to the chains standard. Reheated breakfast. No weekend clean room service. Nothing to accommodate guests.. spend the extra dollars and stay someplace else. Broken window in fitness and swin area. They did offer a local restaurant where they get a kick back
Great location close to our granddaughter's apartment. Easy accessibility. I prefer a room that only has indoor room access although this one did not were on the second floor, and it required a room key to access that level, so I felt pretty safe. We would stay here again.
Our room had a cockroach dead on the floor, the handsoap was opened and looked used, the closet door was broken and didn't close, the Tv did not work, and on top of that we received a complaint only being in our room for 5 min. Plus the hallway was buzzing an alarm which we could not tell what it was. I booked my stay with a 3rd party and now the hotel is not responding my request for a refund. Please avoid staying here.
Easy check in and very clean inside and out. Breakfast was good with all the normal breakfasty items. Room was clean and everything looked great....but they had small square pillows for the main pillows on the bed (not decorative). I will gladly stay here again. Just remember to bring your own pillow.
Looked nothing like online pictures. Coffee maker was in the bathroom. The woman at the front desk was very pleasant. The price point was high because of the age of the room. Nothing was being used for what it was intended.
The pool and comfort of bed was great. There was a lot of noise, smelled like weed and a strong odor in the halls and stairwell. I was on a business trip and didn't get much sleep. Staff are really nice.
This location was really nice. Close to the square and the lake! Also love that the room had a full kitchen especially if I decided to stay longer. Room was clean and kept up nicely. The staff were all really friendly
hotel was ok. staff was friendly. room was dirty in a lot of places. bathroom floor had cracks everywhere. toilet broke while there. curtains were stained. wasn't worth $165 a night. very outdated. ok neighborhood.
Although we have used this hotel in the past, we will never use it again. The rooms had bedbugs and when told about it the manager denied that this was true. We do however have photographic proof. Even after a woman at breakfast showed him where she had been bitten by the bedbugs.
I was on an assignment and the staff worked to accommodate my extended stay. Awesome staff, very clean inside and out. Breakfast was amazing and the rooms are very sanitized. The bed was just as comfortable as my own! Very safe and relaxing!
I'am called GG by my traveling buddy—-Great Granson. We have been coming to Best Western Hotel in Granbury Texas for three years now. For just the two of us. We use the trolley to go to and from downtown. The hotel is great. Breakfast plentiful pool and hot tub perfect. Close to place we go for horseback ride
On the way to the hotel the attendant called and tried to cancel our reservation because they overbooked. I was adamant that we needed the room and one with 2 beds as there were three adults. She upgraded us to the presidential sweet which was nice however once we got there we had to wait 20 mins to check in as there was nobody at the front desk. We got in the elevator to the 3rd floor and were blasted with hot air. It was miserably hot and even HOTTER inside the room. The a/c was not on and it took 3 hours to even bring the temperature down to a tolerable level. It was absolutely awful. We were drenched in sweat. There ended up being a king bed and pull out couch. The couch was so uncomfortable. There was only two sheets and one pillow for it. We went to the front desk to at least ask for a blanket and were told there was none. So I froze all night under just a sheet. Of course the couch was right in front of the a/c unit so the cold air was blowing on me but I had to deal since the rest of the room was still miserably hot. It was not a great experience and we won't be back. Would not recommend.
Neither room was clean, there was staining on the drapery and sheets, the sink in the kitchenette didn't work, the ceiling was in disrepair, there were holes in all the sheets, unclean tables, dirt on the floor, the thermostat didn't work. While transitioning between rooms the desk clerk was found in the first room and stated "I didn't realize you were still moving rooms, as I pointed to all of our possessions. Confetti on the walls, tape balls on the ceiling, and when the door card reader battery died the clerk at the desk stated she would have the afternoon attendee look at it, it was breakfast time, and we had to wait to get back into our room.
Best Western Granbury is a good facility great condition and the location is ideal. It's right on Route 377 with a stoplight close by to get you back on the highway, over to the lake or into downtown Granbury. Boat ramp marina and downtown square are all a 5 minute drive away, tops. I recommend Babe's chicken downtown for great family style dining and Bealls Boot Barn for a huge selection of boots, plus good size and choices for apparel. I spent my hard earned money in Granbury at Best Western, Babe's restaurant and the Boot Barn and there were no compromises to service selection or price from similar places back in Dallas or Fort Worth. Better in fact and two out of three are local not chain stores.
We chose this hotel over another nearby because of the promised "hot breakfast" and a jacuzzi (for an extra fee). We were in town to pack up my mother-in-law's house. The hotel did not have breakfast other than a few cold muffins. After a hard work-day around 8 pm, we found we couldn't use the jacuzzi because the hotel ran out of hot water! When we asked for a couple of towels, we were told they might have a pool towel in 2-3 hours. We were more concerned about the security. The lights in the parking lot didn't work. Worse still, the indoor swimming pool has large windows without screens that were fully open. Someone could easily climb in (from the pitch dark parking lot) and walk into the hallways. The door from the pool to the hallway with rooms does not require a room key to access.
Hotel staff very personable. Hotel very clean and good location. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling in the Grandbury area. Grandbury is a very unique town with plenty to do as a family. Under normal circumstances we go there to just enjoy the many antique stores and the unique downtown square area and the shows. This trip was not pleasure as we had a death in the family. However the staff and the cleanineless of the hotel was extra ordinarily excellent due to the current COVID situation we are in. We felt very safe.
The Best Western Granbury is by far the best hotel for the price. The hotel staff is amazing. Super friendly and helpful. The breakfast is also great. Good variety of foods. The rooms is spacious and clean. We have never had a bad experience here.
After going to a competitor to get adjoining rooms for my daughters birthday (they would not help me) I went to Best Western. Not only did they accommodate me, the receptionist showed me the rooms and we made sure both doors unlocked to the adjoining rooms. I can't thank them enough for making my daughter and her friends sleepover a success. The staff was amazing!!! I highly recommend Best Western.
Friendly staff, comfortable bed, breakfast and free and fast Wi-Fi. This was my second stay there. There are good restaurants across the street. They have indoor pool, and exercise room. Free breakfast is also a plus.
We stayed here for two nights on a family visit. The local internet was down for about 36 hours of that time and the breakfast was the poorest I have ever seen at a BW. Absolutely terrible. Now on a positive note, the room was large and clean and the bed comfortable but you don't need to settle when there are tons of other places to stay in the area.
Amazing staff, and manager. Breakfast bar has everything anyone would want to eat for breakfast. Its conveniently located near downtown with daily shuttles to get you there. Quiet so you can get that most wanted rest along with an indoor pool and hot tub. Great overall hotel
absolutely love this Best Western. We often come up here and stay the night. We love the indoor pool and the friendly staff. I highly recommend this Best Western. Book here if ever in Granbury Texas. You won't be disappointed.
We have stayed at this location several time. The staff is always friendly, the breakfast is good, the bed is comfortable and the indoor pool and spa are a bonus. Just far enough away from the big city to seem like a retreat.
Avoid this hotel, they may give you a room on the north end, particularly the first floor. Had the room next to the water heater closet on 8 November, system kept turning on and off all night, sleep not possible. Expected to talk to staff on check-out, no one manning desk, sign indicating they were out. Next time will stay at the Holiday Inn Express next door, stayed there in October, no problems, should not have changed.
We have stayed here every year with family during our trip to Granbury to see the promise Glen Rose. Very clean, comfy beds. We've never been anything except 100% satisfied and have stayed here at least six times.
I was very pleased by the service provided to me and my family. There was a total of 8 of us and we loved the excellent customer service. Pam Choda was beyond helpful when we checked in and Teresa Rivas was great also! They truly cared in every way!
We had a very nice stay at the Best Western. First time staying here and was real nice. I have already booked us a weekend in April for another girls weekend. The front desk employees where all very nice.
We only stayed at this hotel for one evening but our experience was pleasant. It can be a little tricky getting to it because the traffic was very busy on a Sunday afternoon and we missed the side street leading to it. Staff was friendly, room was clean. The town of Grandbury is charming and seems to be an attraction for visitors. Bring your walking shoes to stroll and enjoy the downtown.
Pulled back covers and sheet had boogers on them and there was some hair. They never cleaned the sheets. Had popcorn and pop tart crumbs all in the sofa. During the middle of the night fire alarm went off went on for hours. Blamed the city's sewer that backed up and made it go off. They wouldn't give anyone a discount cause it wasn't their fault. Worst night I've ever stayed in a hotel.
really enjoyed the stay, we have stayed at the hotel several times, when my wife and i want to get out of town per say. we like to go to Granbury and stay at the best western, really enjoy the heated pool and hot tub.
We frequently visit Granbury for a weekend getaway. Nice shops, food, town square activities and an occasional festival... But most of all, we LOVE THIS HOTEL.Good breakfast. Awesome staff. Friendly, helpful and very courteous.
Spent one night on way to Hill country. Very nice and clean room. Best shower head and largest bathroom we experienced on week long trip. Always love Best Western breakfast bar especially the Texas shaped waffles. Very friendly staff and easy check in.
We spent two nights here on a visit to Granbury. Check-in was fast, friendly and problem free. Our room, 302, was in good shape overall. There was a lot of dust on the TV and supporting furniture. When the sun shined on that area, it was quite apparent. And, as seems almost normal today in most hotels, our toilet seat was loose. Why can't housekeeping mention these little squawks to maintenance personnel? Other than that, the room was great. The layout was fine, the bed was very comfortable, the shower had plenty of flow and hot water and the AC kept the room at a pleasant temperature the entire stay. We skipped breakfast the first morning but did partake of the meal on our departure day. We showed up at the dining area around 0830 (breakfast service is from 0600 - 0900), found a table open and headed for the line. Plenty of eggs, biscuits and gravy but the bacon bin was almost empty; it was empty after we took the last remaining strips. Only a few minutes later it seemed like every guest in the property showed up. The line was loooong and seating was scarce. The staff just couldn't seem to keep up with the demand for scrambled eggs and bacon. The bacon kept coming out in small quantities and the guests grabbed all available almost immediately. I do not understand why the breakfast support staff cannot prepare enough food for the number of paying guests. Overall, we were pleased with our stay and would not only recommend this hotel but would stay here again. If the staff can get a better handle on the food prep and the housekeeping/maintenance communication improved this would most likely been an excellent rating.
Thus hotel has good amenities, i.e. the breakfast, the pool (indoor), the rooms are comfortable, the TV was small, no premium channels---not impressed, lighting is poor, wi-fi tend to be slow. On Sunday, the breakfast area's trash was over flow, no one to empty the trash can until the housekeeper showed up.
This hotel was clean and comfortable. The desk staff was very helpful. I found the room and premise to be up to date. Breakfast was ok typical hotel breakfast. It is a great place to stay while visiting Granbury.
Overall it was a pleasurable stay. The bed was comfortable and the hotel was remodeled not to long ago. Pet friendly. Breakfast was good. If I'm in the area I would stay here again. Again very pleasurable experience. No complaints.
The staff has always been very friendly and helpful on all our stays at this hotel, and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. Staff loaned us a USB wall plug and retrieved a left-behind shirt for us so my daughter could pick it up. Bed was one of the most comfortable beds we have slept in.
This Hotel is amazing! If you're traveling to Granbury make sure Best Western is at the top of your list. The breakfast was delicious, the beds were very comfortable, and the Front Desk Staff was very Kind and Helpful. If you have a chance make sure you take a dip in the pool, it's delightful. I have no complaints about this hotel, they even had 24 hour front desk service. If you ask me this Best Western really has it together and I can't wait to be back in town so I can stay here again, 10/10 will recommend to everyone!
Very nice. Very clean. Felt safe. Friendly staff. Very accommodating. Fair price. I can be a hotel snob. I don't like second rate. The only complaint I have is that the pillows were too fat and firm for my taste. But that is NO big deal. I didn't even ask for another one. I'm sure they would have tried to help me had I complained. (first world problems!)
The hotel room was nice. I was impressed with the rooms and the bed. Breakfast was great. I would stay in this hotel if I came back to visit. I was impressed with the size of the room. The maids and front desk were friendly.
The hotel exceeded all of our expectations. Bed was comfy, it's close to everything, employees was happy and always willing to help answer questions about local places and things to do. The only issue we had was the front desk didn't answer when we called from the room we had to call the direct number front desk staff said something wrong with phone system
we brought the kids down for the paranormal expo- lots of fun. the four of us in one room. was comfy, clean, service was great, breakfast was good. a/c worked great. we certainly will utilize this hotel again.
They're trying to charge me for a broken TV that we did not break I am a good reoccurring customer I have a house right off the square I don't even have to go to this place we just do it because we like to get out of the house and we like the Jacuzzi room bottom line I checked out on the 29th today on the 6I get a message from Wells Fargo that my account has been overdrawn $500 I call Wells Fargo to find out what this is a bout and they tell me That is it a dispute with Best Western I call Best Western to find out what's going on and they told me that they found out that a TV got broke that TV was not broke when I left I know that for a fact and why Didn't they contact me on the on the 30th? Why didn't they contact me at all? I had to find out through my bank when my count got over drawn in and who gave them the right to run my card? I will be disputing this charge and if I have to take them to court I will because I know dam well that TV was not broke when we left and ever since miss Jennifer left this place has gone totally downhill nobody knows what the h*** they're doing I ask for the owners phone number and nobody can give it to me yall really screwed up by losing miss Jennifer I hope you know that
I can not express how much I enjoyed this hotel. Coming into town for an unexpected trip and having a family of four I was so thankful when they allowed me to check in early at no extra charge. The staff was amazing. My room and the entire hotel was so clean and the staff was very professional and courteous. I especially enjoyed the hot tub and pool so I could relax after a long day. I will visit here everytime I am in the area. The best hotel I have visited in this area by far!
I've sent 2 emails to the manager and left messages to return my call regarding a cancellation fee that was charged when I upgraded my room to a suite. Booking.com has even tried to reach out and no response. The hotel is very nice and clean and the staff is friendly and they have apologized for their manager not responding.
We really enjoyed our stay, but found the breakfast set up seriously lacking. The staff was very helpful. The swimming pool and hot tub were amazing! The fitness center could use a few more pieces of equipment.
Definitely in the top 3 of fave hotels stayed (I'm 44), traveled with 70+, 6yr and 2yr. Staff was friendly & helpful, very clean, 100+ actual temp & everywhere in the hotel was cool, the ac in the room /hall was amazing. We stayed in multi room suite with 2 bathrooms, reasonably priced & plenty of room for us to spread out. We loved the pool area. The kids pool was perfect for the 2yr. The kids and Nana loved the big porch and rockers. We met owner during check out, very personable. Recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Glen Rose.
Fantastic place to stay when exploring this area. The hotel is clean and modernly decorated, and our rooms were nicely appointed, clean and comfortable. On top of all that, the service was just spectacular. In particular, Anish at the front desk was so helpful, cheerful and welcoming. We will definitely be back!
This property was great and the price was good too. I will be staying here again. The staff was wonderful and the breakfast was ok. I'm not a big fan of egg patties and my husband didnt care for the sausage but everything else was good. It was enough food to fill you up. Definitely recommend this hotel!!
This must have been a busy weekend for Granbury and surrounding areas. You would never have known the hotel was completely booked as there was not a lot of sound in the hallways. We were on the first floor close to the desk and breakfast area and were surprised the dining area was full of people yet we never heard any noise in our room. Breakfast was a little disappointing to me. The eggs were flat omelet looking, almost cold. Bacon was crisp but barely warm. The biscuits were tender on the inside crusty on outside. The sausage gravy was good and thick but also not very warm. Maybe the amount of people opening the containers cooled all the food off quickly. Others were eating the pancakes and toast and cereal etc. If in every in town again, Best Western will be my first choice.
The rooms were nice and the staff was very friendly. We were in town for a baseball tourney and needed to wash our uniforms and the washer was broken and overflowed so we had to go to a laundry mat. Also the breakfast was not great, the eggs were made from powder and did not look appetizing at all! We would have also preferred an outside swimming pool. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean.
Very happy with staff, location, room. Didn't have allergies due to cat-free room and non-spray of perfume/strong cleaning upon request. Breakfast could be better. Overall great stay. Friendly staff at all times.
This is one of the cleanest and nicest best westerns I've stayed in. Unfortunately the pool was broken or would've given it five star. The manager offered to let us leave and get our money back which was disingenuous considering it was Memorial Day weekend and no rooms were left. Nice large clean and cozy rooms. Free breakfast. Would stay her again.
Staff very friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable, and caring. Family lives in this town and we always stay at this hotel. Breakfast was very good with lots of choices. Would not stay at any other hotel. I have nothing negative to say about this hotel or is't staff.
First of all, we made a mistake in our reservation and my wife was very sick and had also misplaced her cell phone in the lobby. Eric was very helpful in straightening out our mess, calling her cell phone to see if they could find it, and calling me to get our confirmation number (which was for a different date). He talked to the manager, and they ended up upgrading our room for the same original price. Knowing my wife was sick, the breakfast host, Anisha (I think), offered me a bottle of Gatorade and another drink to take to the room. I told her my wife didn't like Gatorade or the other kind of drink, so she offered to drive to a convenience store to get my wife what she liked. I declined, but it brought tears to my eyes that she was so willing to go out of her way to help us. On another day, I called the desk to see when they stopped serving breakfast. The manager happened to be on duty and told us they had already stopped, but she offered to get what we wanted and bring it to the room, which she did. What service! We talked to four different people at the front desk in out two-night stay, and everyone of them told us if there was anything they could do for us to let them know. The staff here was the most helpful and understanding that we have ever encountered in our travels.
We recently had water damage to our home and had to find a dog friendly hotel for 2 weeks. The Best Western hotel front were incredibly nice, friendly and accomodating. They got us a quite room with a full size cute little kitchen complete with a full refrigerator. The rooms have recently been updated so all was very, very clean. I traveled in my job for 30 years and am VERY picking about hotels!! This one is an exception for a Best Western. Jennifer and Eric are awesome and could not do enough to make our stay as comfortable as possible. This staff goes the extra mile!! Highly recommend them!!!!!
Loved being able to bring my dog. Staff was really friendly and fun. Met every need and I liked the Pantry. Great to pick up that bottle of water. They had a reserve pet area where we could take our pet. The room was very nice with a sitting area, couch and desk.
We had a very valued member of our Team stay at this hotel for three nights this week. The staff treated her as a VIP and was extremely accommodating and the customer services was outstanding. The General Manager is extremely helpful and willing to meet the needs of her clients and does it with a smile on her face which is very refreshing and appreciated. I would highly recommend anyone staying here as the team is excellent and the hotel is very clean and neat.
Brandy, the AGM, was the best thing about this vacation. She must work there 24/7. Anytime you needed anything, she was there, with a smile in her face. The hotel was great and the breakfast was fabulous! If you haven't stayed at this hotel, you must! You will not regret it.
I reserved the room for 3/15 to 3/17. My travel time took longer than I expected it to and I arrived on 3/16 at 1:00. The lady behind the counter was very accommodating and had me in the room by 1:30 (This included moving luggage from car to room.) The room was nicely decorated and had comfortable furniture. The bathroom was the largest I had ever seen in a hotel room (it is actually bigger than my bathroom at home!) 2 problems with the room 1. No grab bars in the bathroom: this is helpful for those with balance and joint issues 2. The shower had scalding hot water. This was reported to the hotel staff and I was offered another room in which to shower. I was on a tight schedule so I could not take them up on their offer.
Customer service was top notch!!! Super friendly and attentive ! Room was great, comfortable beds and pillows. Breakfast was very good, hot and always refilled promptly! Only complaint is tile around pool when wet is SUPER slippery and needs mats put down. Will definitely stay again!
Being a platinum best western reward member i always try to stay best western; last time we were here it was disappointing but this time they have exceeded my expectation with the remodeled hotel and improved internet and services. We will stay here again
We traveled to Granbury from NY which was our first trip to TX. The hotel was extremely clean & well maintained. Breakfast was good & included hot food and baked goods/cereal/yogurt. They also had Gf options & non dairy milk. What made our stay memorable though was definitely the staff. The night we arrived, it was late & we got lost. When we called to get directions, Andrea stayed on the phone with us until we arrived. Brandy, Taylor & Shea were all so friendly and welcoming. They took time to talk to all the guests each day which made the trip so memorable and really showed a strong sense of community. It was such a great stay, I would highly recommend this hotel.
Very nice and clean! Great breakfast and hotel staff! Extremely fast internet! My family felt comfortable and we would choose Best Western again! A little bummed the swimming pool and hot tub were not working but we got to use the Holiday Inn across the parking lot. So that was nice.
Could not have enough good things to say about this hotel! My parents and I stayed here after the passing of my mother`s sister. The staff was kind and friendly and even wrote a sweet note to my mother, leaving a small vase of flowers in the room!
This is an absolutely wonderful Motel. The exterior was clean and neat, the Lobby was amazing. Beautifully decorated, clean and neat. the rooms were amazing, and very clean with lots of room to be comfortable in and the beds were awesomely comfortable. We were very satisfied with our overall experience. Excellent place to stay while in Granbury, Texas.
Stay was excellent except thermostat not working . We were only in room to sleep so reported issue on departure. Staff and breakfast staff were outstanding. Food was tasty with good choices for this type of breakfast. Bed very comfortable.
When I booked this hotel for an overbite night stay in Granbury, I wasn't expecting a lot for the price that I paid. Upon arrival, the lobby was spotless and decorated for Christmas. Everything looked and smelled new. The rooms were spotless, the pool and hot tub area were spotless....I will definitely stay here again.
Great room and service would stay here all the time. Nice customer service. Nice building definitely would recommend to friends n family. Thank u for all your help. Love love love it. Such great people
Kudos to best western!!! My wife and I came to Granbury for a bit of a getaway. We chose best western because we had heard it was under new management, and I love to be a critic. The newly renovated rooms were clean and crisp and the beds.....slept as comfortably as if I were home in my own. Check in was a breeze and the staff was very polite and helpful. breakfast was good with an ample selection. A thumbs up to the young lady Anisha who was running the breakfast buffet. The breakfast area never seemed to clear out that morning and her job wouldn't have been easy for anybody. But she did it with a smile on her face and a great attitude. Amazing service!!!
Hotel was clean. Personnel were very helpful and friendly. We had a problem with the thermostat and the front desk person came right down and fixed the problem for us. Was very happy with the heated indoor pool and whirlpool. Great after a day of golf. Would definitely stay here again.
Thank you Best Western for making this sad time restful for my family. It was nice to be able to get some much needed relaxation after a long day at the funeral home. The beds were very comfortable, nice water pressure in the shower. And the room was very comfortable and clean. They look like they are new rooms, and I was the first guest to stay in them. Thank you again Best Western
Nice room and location. Hotel undergoing renovation as stated on their website and should be very nice when finished. There was NO Internet service for the two days we were there. Lights in our room were not bright enough that we could read. Do not arrive before 3 PM. We arrived 10 minutes before 3 PM and had to stand in the lobby (no furniture since in renovation) until 3 PM since their website shows registration time of 3 PM or later. Did not find the staff friendly.
Nice place but was being remodeled. Rooms clean, did not eat breakfast there so can not tell you what that was like. Comfy bed. Only problem was on line the room was $72 dollars and walk in was quoted as $76 and when I checked out they charged $84 Prices changed with each person. Best to book online to make sure you get the price you see.
The absolute worst hotel room I've ever stayed at. Huge pee stains, pubic hair and women's hair on the bedding. I checked out immediately. I reserved a suite king and they couldn't find my reservation even though I provided the confirmation number and receipt. They then upgraded me to a king suite saying that I didn't pay for the king suite in my reservation even though it was titled king suite.
To start, as we entered the building, a staff person was in front of the entrance door smoking a cigarette. The three of us had to go around this person blocking the entrance and we had to go through the exhaled fumes. When we went into the lobby and front desk, there was no one there to greet us. We rang the bell on the desk. After a few minutes, the person that was outside smoking, came in, saying nothing, then disappeared out of the lobby. Shortly after, she was at the front desk. She did not have a name tag on. We noticed that the guest computer in the lobby had an out of order sign - we asked how long as we were anticipating to use it. She stated "its been out of order for quite a while". Upon entering our room, we were pleasantly surprised by the fresh rolls of toilet paper and folded tissue in the bathroom. However, there were at least six visible stains on the carpet. The sheets were so threadbare that we had to carefully inspect the pillows to make sure there were, indeed, pillowcases on. We soon discovered that our toilet tank ran constantly. We had to jiggle the handle and the flap in the tank to fix it. Our previous stay was the night before at a Best Western in another town. We chose this Best Western as we relied on the reputation of the hotel chain. Both stays were disappointing - all we expect is a clean room and friendly staff. Both were lacking. We chose this particular hotel as we trusted the Best Western chain versus a smaller hotel. Would I stay at this Best Western again? Probably not.
The hotel was awesome, room was clean, internet is decent - but it advertises there is a heated pool and the pool was like ice water - very much a let down when travelling with kids. The breakfast ends at 9 am which is pretty early for a weekend stay - it would have been ok if we were told that upon check in. Other than that, it was great!
The evening staff was super helpful...morning on Friday...not so much... the refrigerator in our room didn't work...night staff did everything she could to help...morning staff wasnt helpful... Never got WIFI...computers in business center didnt work or have WIFI
We had a comfortable stay. The staff were helpful. The breakfast was good and had adequate selections. The room was quiet and had recently undergone remodeling. The swimming pool was enclosed and heated. It was large and very clean.
Nice rooms comfy beds. Quiet room even though right across from the elevator. Never heard anyone. Breakfast was lame, high carb processed foods, but the on site pantry has lots of options. Still high carb and processed but I love Chicken noodle soup so....
After my wife and I had spent the night at this hotel, the next morning we reported to Desk Clerk what we thought was a problem with the room. After polite discussion, the manager didn't charge us for the room. About two days after we left there, we found out that WE WERE THE PROBLEM, NOT THE ROOM. We notified the manager, but he still didn't charge us, but we think he should have. We occasionally visit in this town and will DEFINITELY use this hotel for our overnight stays.
Great place to stay. Not the fanciest in the world, but for the price it is VERY nice. The internet was a little bit of a pain to connect to, but it was very fast when connected. Has all the amenities you would expect form a hotel. The indoor pool and fitness center were great! Close to many vacation-worthy destinations in the area. Room was a little small for 3 adults and two children, but not bad.
This place was great for me and my family to swim and me to workout. I wish I got front desk worker who went beyond of her work for me and my family to make the stay great. Oh the breakfast was good to.
This hotel was so bad I checked out without staying there. Upon arriving I noticed several tarps on the roof that were covering roof damage. Upon checking into the room the carpet was dirty, the drapes smelled like they had gotten wet and were never cleaned and there was no HDTV. Everything was standard definition and not clear
This hotel is clean and well ran with friendly staff. The indoor pool was awesome! The breakfast was great and had a huge variety! It was very quiet and peaceful. They are also dog friendly and not breed specific.
I have stayed at this property several times while in town for business. The property is extremely well maintained and all of my rooms have been very clean. The team members are all well versed in the Best Western brand and extremely cordial. They all truly make you feel welcomed and that you are the most important customer they have.
My husband and I recently stayed at this hotel. While there, my husband became extremely ill, and had to be hospitalized. The staff at BW Granbury went out of their way to be kind and helpful when we had to extend our stay. Janetta came to our room to offer assistance when we had to call for an ambulance. Tina helped watch our small dog in the middle of the night when I needed to change rooms. Katya, and the whole staff, made sure to ask about my husband every time they saw me. I will recommend this hotel to anyone who ever needs to stay in Granbury. Tell them Emily sent you
Went to Granbury for a little date night getaway. Had an excellent dinner at 1890 and treated ourselves to the jacuzzi room for the night. Very clean and nice room. Was surprisingly quiet even being the room right next to the pool. We will definitely be staying again! The staff was amazing. We had a problem with the tv and they were able to get it fixed fast and didn't once act like we were a bother.
Very nice hotel, friendly staff, clean spacious room, good breakfast, easy access, close to family. Our "go to" hotel when in this town again. Family lives just two blocks from this hotel. We could even walk to their house and back with no issues. All in all, a very nice hotel and couldn't believe how quiet it was even with youth teams staying there. Very impressed.
Stayed in Granbury even though we live only 40 miles away. We had $30 vouchers that had to be redeemed by the end of June. The hotel staff honored our vouchers. It does not seem like much but in this day and age it seems like other hotels would give vouchers but then give you a difficult time when you attempt to redeem the vouchers. It was refreshing to have the hotel honor the vouchers without incident.
Staff was very helpful overall experience was very nice would stay here again matter-of-fact stayed there last year because of the level of service we book there again this year if you get a chance you need to stay at this motel is
Tina and Allison went out of their way to make sure that our entire group was taken care of, both with service and rates. Tina was easy to work with when making the reservation for 9 rooms. Allison took care of the issues that we encountered with a smile on her face and positive attitude.
Nice place to stay. The bed was probably the most comfortable bed of any hotel we have stayed at....and that is important to me. The hotel was clean. Good choices on the breakfast. Probably the only negative is that the smell of chlorine was strong enough to smell throughout the lower hallways.
While eating breakfast one of the employees heard my 90 year old mom mentioned she forgot her toiletries. Next thing we new that employee, Jannetta, brought my mom a toothbrush, toothpaste, a comb, and deodorant. Thank you Best Western for hiring people like Jannetta.
We had our room booked at the last minute, when the bed and breakfast originally booked for us only had smoking rooms left. It was quiet, and the staff friendly. We would stay here again, if we have the chance to come to Granbury. The breakfast was very good, we loved the burritos they served on Sunday. Rooms were a little dark for my taste, would prefer better lighting.
We stayed here during spring break. The hotel was clean, comfortable, closet to lake Granbury and just a short drive from attractions in Glen Rose. Breakfast was excellent, the staff were extremely nice and helpful, and my dog was welcome for a small additional fee.
Room could use updating, beds lumpy. Location is very nice near lake, beach and town square, The breakfast was great with many choices well presented. Staff very welcoming. Pool was nice hot tub could be cleaner. For the price it was well worth it. I would stay again,
I travel all over the US for work.. this was a Sweet Hotel clean, comfortable, Great pool hot tub too..Friendly People stay here too. Friendly Staff as well....The breakfast is a hot breakfast with a Great assortment of choices.....this Hotel was very recently remodeled so it's like a new hotel and its somewhat easy to get to..Overall well worth the money...
Staff escorted us to tour rooms before booking. Allison was very helpful meeting all of our requests and needs during our stay. They also compensated us because the spa was not in working order during our stay.
Left a $30 makeup mirror in the room. I checked out Sunday morning and called Sunday evening to let staff know, they advised me that it had not been turned in to lost and found, but would call me if it was. I asked why wouldn't if be turned in, the only people going into that room after I left would be staff. And, she agreed. However, I have never heard back from anyone. If I can't trust the staff to be honest, then I will not return to an establishment. Since I notified staff that I left it behind, and it wasn't returned, I feel like my property has been stolen. I won't return.
While checking into our room the representative was very friendly and helpful and she was very informative of the attractions in their area. The lady who was in charge of breakfast was very friendly and helpful. My husband was very impressed that they prepared turkey sausage due to the fact he could not eat pork. Breakfast awesome. When checking out the representative was very friendly. Loved the peppermints. You will be impressed in this hotel.
This is an upgraded hotel so the floors are not sound proof and with it being full and two groups of young people, it was very noisy with running in halls and stairs. Televison was not working, control would not change channels or control sound(several rooms in our party had same problem). Moved us to another room the next day but the TV was so fuzzy it was hard to view plus scree was small. Staff tried to solve the problem, they were great, very friendly.
The Granbury Best Western is located a few minutes east of downtown Granbury on the highway into town. The grounds were clean and well-maintained, as were the lobby and public areas. I had my favorite room area - top floor, end of hall - and the room was clean, comfortable, and very quiet. All the hotel staff members whom I met were friendly and helpful. Check in and check out were fast and easy. Although I didn't eat breakfast there, the offerings looked tasty and there was a reasonable amount of seating available. A pleasant and comfortable stay.
Hotel is very clean and well maintained. Friendly, efficient staff. Comfy mattress and very roomy accommodations. Only negative is the complimentary breakfast. Runny overcooked eggs sitting in water and undercooked bacon. We chose to leave and have breakfast about a mile down the road thanks to trip advisor!
Nice Hotel and All were Friendly. The Breakfast was good though the hot plate didn't keep the food hot. Still was good Room was nice even near the elevator. It was a little dark without the shades open. One thing I did not like was they did not bring the same amount of clean towels the next morning as were in the room when we got there, and did not empty the trash.
So impressed with check-in and check-out service..I was traveling alone and the staff was so helpful and checked on me and helped me load and unload...Staff was and is an asset to this hotel..I have a disability and wasn't very comfortable traveling alone, but this staff made me feel like they were my friends and cared about my comfort..Kuddos to them!
I don't understand the bad reviews. I came here expecting the worst and was pleasantly surprised. The hotel staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was the best I've had staying in a hotel. The rooms were clean and had a very clean smell to them. Was here for a wedding and had family staying in 3 other rooms and they were all happy with their experience. Most definitely would recommend this hotel in the future. Come one come all!!
My husband and I have stayed at Best Western on many occasions and always with good results, except in Granbury, Tx. I booked through a third party site and mistakenly clicked a smoking room. When I learned that a smoking room had been reserved, I let the clerk know that was not what we intended. She was not concerned. We decided to go ahead and check the room out but when we opened the door the cigarette smoke smell was like a wall hitting us in the face. We went back to the desk clerk who assured us that we were stuck with the room. We had no recourse because we had already paid through a third party. The only thing we could have done is to leave and go to another hotel and pay for a second room. We decided to make the best of it, however, when I pulled back the bedspread to climb into the bed, the sheet was so badly worn that it was pilled up with threads and felt very rough. I could not sleep on it and instead slept between the top sheet and the bedspread. We woke up with stuffed up heads because of the smokey room. Went in the bathroom and had to kill a roach on the floor. As I glanced around while taking a shower I noticed spider webs in the corners. This was a very disappointing stay with Best Western.
My sister and I stayed here 3 nights for her granddaughter's wedding. Brandi at check-in was beyond cordial and very efficient. She went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed and even called our room to make sure it was acceptable. It was and then some. Much bigger and spacious than most Best Westerns with 2 very comfy queen beds. The room was clean and I love that it comes with a mini fridge and microwave. The AC worked great and good thing as it was 95 - 98 degrees every day! We enjoyed the Jacuzzi and cool pool; breakfast was good with plenty of options - waffles in the shape of Texas, yogurt, fruit, cereal, bagels & breads to toast, muffins, eggs, sausage & gravy, coffees and decaf (thank you very much). This hotel is just off of US Hwy 377 and only 5 minutes from the "old town" area called Historic Square where there are shops and restaurants (don't miss Babe's Chicken Dinner House, it's family style and delish). There is a Starbucks just down the road as well as a grocery store called H.E.B., a CVS, Walgreens and a WalMart and various strip malls with Marshall's, Michael's etc. Google "things to do in Grandbury" and you'll find lots of info, esp regarding the historic district.
Spent three nights here and Loved It! Everyone was friendly, professional and check in was quick. Also, the breakfast is great. The entire place is clean, including the jacuzzi, pool and fitness room. Oh, and the rooms are just as great. Bed really comfortable. Will always stay here when in or near Granbury.
Tucked on the side of US 377 is one of the best little hotels in Texas. The front desk is manned by real professional clerks. They make you feel really welcomed! The rooms are spacious, and very clean. One of my pet peeves, is not having enough sugar for my coffee, not here.. plenty of condiments, and coffee. The breakfast area is run by Ms Personality Plus. She was terrific, meeting and greeting everyone with a sincere attitude. If I could rate this a 10 I would! Well done, Best Western Granbury
We were in Granbury for my son's wedding. We booked multiple rooms, as everyone was from out of town. The female, Katja, who checked us in was absolutely the friendliest and most helpful person I have ever had to check us into a hotel. She was outstanding. Next, Tina, made our reservations and helped us to plan a wedding and a rehearsal dinner. She was very good at helping us come to an agreement of price and also understand the requirements for having a "block of rooms" for something such as a wedding. She also helped us with the use of the meeting room at the hotel. Tina was also very kind at checkout. Lastly, Debbie was working the desk during the rehearsal dinner. She told us it was her first shift by herself. You would never know. She was able to answer all of our questions and help us with any and every detail. She, too, went above and beyond. The cleaning staff were all ready to help each guest in our party with whatever their needs were. We are a frequent traveling family and we realize excellent service at a hotel. Very hard to find any more. We would stay here again and recommend them to anyone wanting a comfortable stay in Grandbury, TX.
The hotel was clean and pleasant. Our room was pretty large and clean. The front desk staff was very courteous and helpful - providing directions and also assistance when we discovered a flat on our car.
The hotel has a great location. Close to the historic downtown area, shopping, and the Chamber provided a free shuttle. We did drive in to town, and had no issue parking. The coffee in the morning was transparent, but after mentioning it to staff... This was corrected. It's perfect for viewing the 8th best fireworks display in the USA! Room was clean and spacious.
The mattresses were old and not comfortable. Ac was noisy. Not enough tables and chairs at breakfast, had to wait. The location was good. Staff were friendly and helpful.Swimming pool was nice. Carpets needed a good clean.
Besides being located next to the loop around Granbury on the side closest to Ft Worth destinations, the outside environment was open land on two sides providing peace and quiet. Upon arrival the cart was provided for us to unload all at once. Immediate responses were provided for whatever service was needed with a smile. Breakfast was excellent with a nice variety of choices.
We found this Best Western to be a comfortable host for our brief stay in Granbury. The rooms were clean (and we're picky!), the beds comfortable and the staff friendly. The décor was a bit plain compared to most hotels we've been in but the cleanliness of a hotel trumps the décor any time! We, too, noticed the pool was green, but it appeared to be the actual color of the finish, not any kind of problem. Also enjoyed the upstairs loft sitting area -nice touch!
When there is something happening in town there not much around... When we called and made the reservations it was described as new and close to town. We got a good price, but as the title says we got what we paid for. There was hair on just about every part of the room, in the shower, and in the carpet. So keep in mind there nothing for free you get what you pay for.
The only good thing about this hotel was Sharon, the staff member working (alone) on Sunday, May 30th. I was double charged for a nasty room (bugs, dirty sheets on pull out bed), there was no ice in the hotel and the refrigerator in our room was broken. We picked this over the Holiday Inn Express and Hilton Garden Inn because they had DVD players in the room. What they don't tell you the picture quality of the TV is so horrible and fuzzy you can't watch a movie on it.
Overall ok, pool was green and it was an inside pool, that shouldn't be. Room was clean and comfortable. Everything else was just ok. Not the best or the worst Best Western we have stayed in. Guess it is just pot luck.
Visiting family members near Granbury, Texas and a road trip to Magnolia Marketplace in Waco. Best Western Plus/Inn & Suites has always been a consistently very good hotel chain to stay at. Nice size room, comfortable, and quiet. Easy access and parking.
I have stayed at this hotel in the past and it has always been my first choice but this time the lady at the front desk put me thru the third degree on my age before I got my discount. Her name is Tina and she need to be more friendly with her guest when she can see they are a gold member and comes back year after year. The rooms are nice and bed comfortable you will not have a problem there. Check out she called to rush us out. Was not pleased with best western choice for a front desk person to meet customers.
Booked room and when we got there, no room was available. If we would have known would have not driven all the way to Granbury would have stopped at another town. Instead had to back track after being on the road all day.
Best Western Granbury Inn & Suites in Granbury, Tx is a very clean hotel and friendly employees. The beds are comfortable and free breakfast. Breakfast is always stocked and hot coffee is great. I would recommmend this hotel to everyone.
Our room was nice, clean and comfortable. We have stayed here previously and can tell they have done a few updates. All the front desk personnel were helpful and friendly. The breakfast area is a bit disorganized and cramped. Food was OK, but nothing exciting. The hotel is well located and convenient to get downtown or anywhere else. We had a good stay at a reasonable price.
Place was clean and friendly. Staff does not present themselves well, but helpful and very friendly. Easy to locate and convenient to other places in the area. Worth the money we spent. Does not have it's own restaurant or bar which was a bummer.
Our visit was great and we would stay here again on our next trip to Granbury. The room was clean and comfortable and although we didn't have time to use the pool, it is something to do on or next trip.
Stayed here one night during a quick weekend getaway. Reserved the jacuzzi room and if it wasn't for the jacuzzi, I'd say our room was decent. It was clean but appeared to have one some serious parties in it. The overall cleanliness was good. Parking was never an issue and there are lots of places to eat nearby. The breakfast was terrible. Coffee was ok, sausage was cold, gravy was cold, all bread/pastries were stale. Grabbed an apple and a yogurt and called it quits in that. The staff was pleasant but always had to wait for her to return from doing something else. I don't think she was "lolly gagging" , I think she had to wear too many hats.
The room was in great shape. The front desk clerks were all very accommodating. The only issue I had is that all but one were just playing on there phone most of the time. There was only one man with a different sort of name that didn't. The others were watching movies on there phones unless you got there attention. The pool is nasty in color--it's kind of a puke green color. The breakfast was not managed well. We went down there and there was no syrup or butter for the waffles. There were no plates at one point. Just too many things to overlook. With a little better management this would be a really good place.
First of all, check in was easy and the lady at the counter was great. The pool is a very odd shade of green and smells fishy (my theory is because of the lake water) but it's indoor and I prefer that vastly over actually swimming in the lake. There's a large restroom and shower in the pool area (would be great if the shower worked), a water fountain (also not working). The spa and pool were actually really cold when we first got there, the attendant reset the heaters and it started warming up. Unfortunately it was cold again the next day though. Plenty of room with tables and fresh towels. The pool was our main reason for staying at this hotel. The dvd player in our room didn't work, the woman at the front desk tried to fix it and then went and got a different machine from another room which didn't work either. We ended up buying a cheap player at walmart for $25 because a different attendant told us that none of them work... so why advertise that on the website?? Breakfast was good, the hotel was otherwise clean. The pool was just a little disappointing :(
Pros: The day time lady at front desk was very nice. The hotel appears in good condition and overall was clean. Breakfast included and it was decent- not great, but it worked for us. Free wifi and it was decent speed. Cons: The deciding factor of us going there was the indoor pool. We get there and check it out, and the water is green. i ask front desk about it and they said it was due to new windows they put in. the tinting on the water made everything look green. Amazingly, it was still green at night. The next day pool guys show up. I overhear a conversation saying they needed to shock the pool but couldn't because they'd need to shut the pool down. They did add chlorine which made it green and cloudy. I heard 2 people complain that their kids broke out after swimming. The door safety lock was completely broken off. They took our towels when they cleaned the room and didn't replace them. I asked for more and they said they were being washed and I would get some more but I never did. one bed was OK, the other had a big valley in the middle making it extremely uncomfortable.
Always enjoyed staying here the indoor heated pool the Internet is one of the best I ever seen the rooms are always clean the water is hot and the staff is great especially the front desk they are courteous they are respectful and they are knowledgeable they go out of their way to help each guest that is something you don't see today first class front desk staff when I come to Granbury this is the only hotel that I stay at thanks and keep up the good work see you again
Maybe the 'Worst' Western... So we got to the Granbury Best Western ok. What did we see? A broken window on the front corner of the third floor facing the road. Yup, a customer's room...on the third floor facing the road for all to see. Yes, it was double pane with a huge chunk gone. There was yellow police tape around the ground beneath it to keep folks away. I have stayed in hundreds of rooms over the years...this broken window is a first. I have never seen that before. Never saw anyone attempting to fix or replace the window nor did it look as if anyone had attempted to secure the broken glass either. A loose broken pane of glass can sail a good distance in a good wind. That broken window could be a big time danger to any one walking near it. I stayed away from it. I noticed too that part of the roofing had blown off. I saw no one attending to that either. We had arrived about 7pm on a Saturday night. I asked about breakfast. It was from 6 to 9 am. Nine am on Sunday morning? Why not 10 or 11am? Nope, nine am. If you hit the bars late you will likely miss breakfast here. The room was ok for the most part though it was a handicap room. Neither of us are handicapped and the parking lot was pretty sparsely populated with cars but we got the handicap room anyway. Interestingly enough, the sink drain emitted an odor of sewer gas. Not a lot of it but enough to give the room an odd presence. At first I thought it might be poltergeist or something but it wasn't. I put my nose near the sink drain and sure enough there it was. Odd, very odd. I can't say I have run into that 'feature' before either. I kept the sink drain close when we weren't using it. The one and only elevator was out of service the whole time we were there. We were on the first floor so it didn't matter to us. There appeared to be just one elevator. Again, no one seemed to be attending to the non-operating elevator. When I asked on Sunday evening where the ice machine was, as I couldn't find it, I was told it was 'iced' over and out of order too. A few hours later when I didn't need any ice I was told the ice machine was back in operation. Pity. Only the next morning I was told the ice machine was, again, out of service. Who knows. I don't. We went up the street, literally, and rented a room at Comfort Suites which was far better in all ways. We have stayed at a number of Best Westerns in the past and all have been fine. This one has several issues. Good luck if you stay there. The grade...2 stars. Our room was ok and the door secure. Beyond that not much else to say. No, I would not return. P.S. When we left town the next Sunday morning after a week in Granbury the third floor window was still broken, the roof still trying to fly away. From the number of cars in the lot, a few, I would guess the elevator was still busted.
Posted photos on previous review. The staff was great, very helpful. Internet Wifi very poor - was told to work in lobby - still had issues getting booted. Piece of trim in hall loose, reported because I saw kids playing with it, was afraid they would pinch their fingers (still loose). Elevator out for over 10 days, different excuse every day... I left numerous messages for Manager as well as calling 800 number - nothing was corrected in the 10 day period. I would not recommend staying here.
Although the rooms are clean and the breakfast is good I wish I had stayed at one of the neighboring hotels. I reserved a King suite but both beds were full size, the same as my mothers "queen." Why lie, Best Western? Made me not trust the front desk person that assured the green pool was okay for my children to swim in. The worst part (which I admit, colored my overall stay) was the broken elevator that trapped my elderly mother on the third floor. When we addressed this with the front desk person she argued that we weren't checking out until the next day!
I have stayed at this location twice with family. Love that it has an indoor pool. Stayed here in August and did not have problems. Stayed here in February. Elevator and ice machine didn't work and mildew in pool restroom.REGRET.
Great Hotel, nice room, indoor swimming pool, breakfast included. Nice town, the town had a nice town square with plenty of shops that were opened in the 1800's and still very nice. The town had some very nice restaurants to eat at also. The food at all the restaurants we visited was always good.
The help here is very friendly and eager to please. The place is clean. Nice pool area. About an hour out of Dallas/Fort Worth and from the airport but we don't mind the drive. Centrally located for town events. Washer/Dryer Small snack store. Close to the lake.
For the price it was very acceptable. Heated indoor pool wasn't open but he hot tub was and that was all we cared about. We did run in to an issue with not being given enough towels or washcloths but not a big issue. Breakfast was decent.
Counter staff tried to be helpful, however my problem needed the manager's attention. He was not on site, but could be reached by phone, but refused to talk with me. The lobby smelled like smoke and I wanted to cancel my reservation., which required his ok. Refused to do that or talk with me about my concerns. Consider this motel only after trying all others within 50 mile radius!!
Reserved King room, got double queen because didn't reserve thru hotel. Indoor pool green, couldn't use, told it was from the sun coming thru window and then because painted it green. Breakfast was suppose to be til 10:00 on weekends. Cleaned it up at 9:00. Told they forgot to put new hours in rooms. Didn't get to eat. Carpet in room got socks dirty. Needed cleaning. Tub squeaked bad when showering. Not sealed well. Won't stay there again.
The Best Western Granbury Inn & Suites in Granbury Texas is a very nice, clean, comfortable, and safe place to stay. The Employees go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. Beds are very comfortable. The breakfast menu is very good.We enjoyed our stay.
We were very happy with our room... spacious and nice and clean. We were even happier with Sharon, at the front desk. Because we were in Granbury to visit with relative, she suggested that we make use of the lobby for an evening visit. She made our whole group feel welcome. Thanks to this hospitality, we will stay at the Best Western the next time we are in Granbury.
Great room. Great service. Excellent cleanliness. I'd recommend this facility to all of my friends and relatives. Great entertainment is near by. "Wild Country" night club. Felt safe coming and going.
The hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff were wonderful. The full hot breakfast was a blessing. We will absolutely stay there again, and we look forward to it!! Thank you Best Western for making our Christmas stay such a wonderful experience.
We arrived on Nov 25th@ 11:30. First two rooms had roaches. Next room was dirty a person who was visiting the receptionist cleaned the room. Floor was dirty tables were sticky hair in the bath tub. They offered us the presidential suite as our fourth room that night. We had two small kids and didn't get to the fourth room until 1:30 am. We had a hair on the pillow a wasp in the window curtain day 2 and a bug in the bath room. The manager was rude and dismissive. he acted like he was doing me a favor. The sheets and bedskirt we torn and the kitchen area smelled. We did not eat breakfast nor let the kids eat there.. I have been staying at the hotel for the last 8 years about two to three times a year. I noticed is needed some repairs the last time I stayed but this will be my last.
If I could give it no starts I would. This place is disgusting and full of bugs and roaches! We have stayed here over the last 10 years and have always been satisfied. However, things have gone beyond down hill. We checked in at 10:30pm. Our 1st room was dirty and had roaches on the wall. 2nd room was "cleaner" but we found 2 roaches on the pillow after we had unpacked. 3rd room had sticky stuff all over the tables and counters, mildewed shower curtain and tons of hair in the shower..... So by 1:30am we finally got to our 4th room the "presidential suite" it was decent enough with only 2 hairs on a pillow, a wasp on the drapes and a mildewed shower curtain. If any other place had openings we would have died before staying the night here!!! Then next morning the manager told us he wasn't going to give us the room for free because he'd already discounted the "presidential suite" enough...... Are you kidding? We didn't ask for that it was just the only "clean" room you had available. This place has turned into a JOKE!!! Sleep in your car before you stay here!!!!
Had an issue when we first checked into our room with the A/C. Sharon immediately moved us to another room, even though they were booked for the night. Later we decided to stay with friends our second night and needed to cancel our second room night. Sharon was wonderful at working with our Expedia reservation to make it happen. Also, they were nice enough to store my luggage in a vacant meeting room while we were out all day! Wonderful experience. I highly recommend this Best Western.
More of a long nap after the match , before I had to drive home . Nice enough hotel . Very firm mattress . Nice rooms . I'll probably stay there again for this match if we have a discount code again .
I had previously booked a room at the Holiday Inn Express which is adjacent. It was my error that I booked the wrong dates. The check in staff at that hotel was not willing to give me a room for the rate I had booked on line and was not very helpful. I then went to the Best Western and the young man that checked me in was so nice and helpful. I will probably change my preference of hotels in Granbury, Texas from the Holiday Inn to Best Western.
For the price, hotel is clean with comfortable beds and friendly hotel staff. Easy access to Fort Worth. Stayed two nights (weekend) and both were quiet. Plenty of parking and lighting. Hearty breakfast and fresh coffee!
Check -in was easy but it was hard getting a room. I waited too late and everyone was full so I had to book in Weatherford. I called back after 6pm and there was one room available which I took. The room was very nice and breakfast was great.
Overall good experience. Only complaint was that they needed someone else working to help the poor lady at front desk. Room was 89 degrees when we got there but didn't take long to cool it off. Room was clean and comfortable otherwise.
It was an excellent experience from the room accommodations, to the breakfast, and the hotel staff. The cleanliness of the hotel is superior. The food was some of the best I have experienced. Also, the bed mattresses are so comfortable.
The hotel is very well kept. The rooms are clean and the hotel staff is friendly and efficient. There are tons of places to eat close by as well as shopping and don't forget to visit the Granbury Opera house while in town.
My parents and I needed a place to spend the night when we traveled to Granbury for my uncle's funeral since our home is too far away for us to have made it a day trip. Best Western provided us with a convenient place to sleep and clean up before heading to the church. Also, the internet connection in the rooms is very helpful. That's really all I can say since we didn't actually spend that much time in the hotel.
this was a Good place to stay. The beds were very Comfy , the staff was super nice, and the rooms were very clean. The view could be better out the back...but that's ok...we were busy at the lake and in downtown at the square. Awesome courthouse and jail.
