The Best Western Phoenix Goodyear Inn is our go to hotel in the area. We've stayed here numerous times over the last 6 or so years. The staff, particularly Felix, Ashley and Raylyn have gone out of their way to make our stay comfortable. Raylyn keeps a great breakfast room and always willing to help a patron with their breakfast needs. Felix and Ashley manage a pleasant and excellent staff that keep the rooms clean and the hotel maintained. Every staff member has been courteous and professional. The hotel itself is an older building, but well kept. There is ample parking around the hotel, and shopping and restaurants within a mile. A pool and laundry is available, and currently the bar/restaurant is open.
Good hotel for our one night. Bed was comfortable, internet was good, we were near the front of the hotel and had no issues with traffic noise. Our next door neighbors were a bit loud but quieted down before 10pm. On-site restaurant. AC/Heat worked well. Hair dryer available and in working condition. Bathroom tub/toilet area was quite small but usable.
Room 180 was beautiful, clean and spacious. Ashley was out of this world friendly and remembered us from months ago! She was really super friendly. If any gave her a bad review, I eould be asking myself why, because she is super friendly! Breakfast was off the hook! Raelene, gosh sakes, went above and beyond on hospitality. Food was full and fresh. Full hot breakfast and that dining room is spotless. Pool was beautiful, clear, and serene. I have stayed at a lot of Best Westerns and this is by far hands down, one of the best I've stayed at. I almost hate giving great reviews because then they're always booked out after hahahaha however, this place is truly deserving and will be staying here any time in Phoenix!
I get the impression that there has been some renovation work recently. The rooms and loby etc. were all well looked after. Bed was a bit on the soft side for me. Unfortunatly the airco was very noisy, and you really need it in the heat of Phoenix. Staff freindly. Breakfast very good.
Loved this hotel because it was SO clean, and the breakfast was really good. We have stayed in very expensive hotels, and this one was the cleanest we have ever encountered. It was not fancy, but very clean and had everything we needed. Ashley at the front desk was very nice and helpful, as was the lady in charge of the breakfast. And the breakfast was very good and filling, with even hot eggs, bacon and waffles. Also with just about any cold or premade items like cereal, yoghurt, toast, fresh fruit, and even strawberries and blueberries and whipped cream for the waffles!! It had a microwave in the room and a fridge and coffee. The only things that weren't great was the air conditioner was a bit loud, and the water pressure in the shower was not very strong.
The room was clean, bed was great. Everything worked. Hot water took little time to get there. In the other part of the review. I was traveling alone because I was visiting my wife in assist living home. No company, no convince something be added to the review
Rooms are comfy, bed was decent. Area is quiet. The internet kinda was wonky, but that is a problem for everyone that lives along Litchfield rd from the I10 to mc85. The staff are all nice and friendly, and if you happen to bump into the poolman Melumbo was very nice.
Rooms are hot... we stayed here and moved multiple times around the hotel . But seemed all rooms are hot.Rooms might need an ac update . all other services are fine except the rooms not being cold. The breakfast is good .. and staff is friendly.
If I could give this place a 0 I would!!! I have stayed in loss of hotels in my life and this hotel has been THE WORST I have ever stayed in! The front desk person ASHLEY was mean and rude the moment we walked in. Then charged my card to my other family members room! Thank goodness it was family so we split the difference but would if I they weren't family??? Just charging my card to another room??? Then we get to the room and it is scolding HOT. And the floors were dirty and sticky!! And black marks allllll over the walls. We turn on the air and it's was not blowing hard at all. It was so little you had to basically sit on it to feel any coolness. We turned the AC on as much as we could, went to dinner, and came back to the room still HOT. And the bathroom had no venting it was so stuffy you couldn't really breath. The shower water pressure and temperatures were horrible. When we tried to call the front to explain the front desk ASHLEY said “if you don't like it you can go somewhere else.” The amount of rudeness and disrespect to us when we were super nice and understanding was outrageous!!! I don't even know what to say at this point.
DO NOT STAY HERE!! As soon as I walked in, we were greeted with the most unwelcoming front desk manager, Ashley she had the worst attitude. My family and I were visiting on a weekend getaway for our mom‘s birthdays and asked for connecting rooms at booking. My cousin mentioned this when we checked in Ashley practically snapped at us regarding this request. This request wasn't even a big deal as it was only a request. Then she charged my card for their reservation suggesting I Just zelle them to make up for the difference to avoid Ashley from having to correct it on her end, we went up to our room waited a good 30 minutes for the room to cool down. It was 117 in Phoenix that day room wasn't cooling down so I called the front office. Ashley said we can go down to get keys for a different room so we did , room 214 but the keys wouldn't work and there's beer cans in front of the door and around that area so I thought maybe someone was in that room and she messed up so I called again letting her know that the keys didn't work and asked for someone to run up keys that do work that's when she snapped at me screaming “WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO I AM THE ONLY ONE DOWN HERE RIGHT NOW I CANT JUST TAKE YOU KEYS!”. She did not have to respond that way she completely lost it LIKE SHE HAD A BREAK DOWN OR SOMETGING. I asked to speak to a manager. That's when she told me she was the manager. I advised that I would be asking for a credit or reimbursement on the room and she told me no she will not be doing that because she's doing everything she can to the best of her ability to rectify the situation that we need to run down there to get the keys and if we didn't like it then we can check out and go stay somewhere else. Those were her exact words!!! Maybe if they would change the air filters in the room, we would never had run into this problem mind you we were in three different rooms and not one of them worked. Eventually was then moved again to 209. Same issue!!! And There were bugs on the floors the floors look like they hadn't been mopped in years other peoples hair still on the wall Handle to the bathroom shower was falling apart, broken windows, and a very distraught unprofessional front desk manager . Best Western should be embarrassed, having a front desk manager with that type of attitude. I submitted a complaint to corporate as no one in this location seems to care about what happened and refuses to credit us. we ended up checking out hours later didn't even complete our stay. We drove two hours back to Tucson at 11:30 at night. Like I said, do not stay here!!!!
Great experience considering it was easy checking in staff was always gracious and all its services were ontime and site was clean and quite
Nice getaway from work and home . Good reward and point pay for the next future escape they are remodeling but always friendly
Good- the receptionist was easy to enough. She seemed to accommodate my ask to have a top floor and quiet room. Opportunity- The pigeons woke us up at an ungodly hour, outside our windows. The bathroom is teeny tiny and the shower drain was corroded.
Clean and comfortable room. Good service. Easy check in and out. Close to freeway. Breakfast was good. We stayed 2 nights on different days. The room on our second stay has some serious problems but the manager took good care of us. We would stay here again.
So. This property is still a work in progress. Huge piles (see photos) of pigeon poop just outside my window (nice that the AC unit draws outside air literally right next to them), dog poop throughout the property whi h did not get picked up for the 9 days I was here (mentioned several times). Shower faucet had NO setting except "scalding." Reported 4 times. Never fixed. Torn sheer window curtains. Broken microwave oven handle. Outside stair railings RUSTY and UNSAFE. (see photos) Internet weak/spotty. Breakfast lady (Raelynne) is AMAZING. Breakfast should include hardboiled eggs, fruit cups, turkey sausage. She offered to accomadate and went over and above. This whole property still needs improvement.
I would never recommend this hotel - the room appeared used and there was no hot water. STaff was aloof about the situation. It was a true disappointment. The hotel exterior seems run down and not taken care of Do Not waste your money.
This Best Western only had a clean large room and a very nice evening clerk going for it. It's old, the grounds look old. It's not in the best of areas. Breakfast was decent. WiFi DIED!!! and cellphone coverage was poor. Sad to say, I believe BW's time has come & gone. We'd never go back, maybe to ANY BW... :-(
We have found every Best Western, even though some are old, to be clean and prices reasonable. We always stay at a Best Western and their rewards are very nice! It pays to stay at a Best Western. We have never been disappointed.
This is probably our 4th or 5th stay at the Best Western Goodyear Inn. Managed by Felix, and Breakfast served by Raeleen, the service here is excellent. It's an older hotel that has been updated. Felix has a great staff that are hard workers and will do what they can to insure their guests are satisfied. Breakfast served is a hot breakfast with eggs, bacon or sausage, sometimes breakfast potatoes, and sometimes bisquits and gravy. There is ample parking for vehicles, with a few spaces for rv's. There is an outside pool, but not sure if heated. Rooms have microwaves and refrigerators. There are numerous restaurants within a mile, along with several shopping areas.
The staff are very sweet. Always My e and my family love this hotel My son is autistic and he really love it Felix the manager make ous feel safe. I totally so happy with this best Wester hoter in particular To all The people have family with disabilities I TOTALLY RECOMMEND YHIS HOTEL BECAUSE. IS SAFE AND FELIX MAKE U FEEL LIKE YOU AT HOME. My son
Absolutely not as listed, especially if you have an event don't stay here as you won't get any sleep. There is a bar on that plays the loudest music until midnight. The bathtub was leaking. Only the hot water worked. One of the two beds were broken. Internet was intermittent. My key card stopped working twice.
The room was so dirty. There was gross bodily functions all over the walls in the bathroom. Dirt in the tub and pubic hair in the bed. It was HORRIBLE! I will never stay at this hotel again. We also called the desk to turn the things in and no one answered.
Room was very clean and quite roomy! Very quiet and beds very comfortable. The manager was great. We extended our stay two additional nights. Loved having the refrigerator (nice size) and microwave in room. Thank you for the privacy.
That's a very clean hotel, and includes breakfast, which was very good and all the staff was very nice and polite It was quiet and their Internet work perfect. I really enjoyed my stay at the best Western in Goodyear. Plus, there's a lot of places near to go shopping or eat in walking distance.
Great stay! Friendly staff and very clean. The lady at the counter was very helpful with recommendations for food services in the area. Which was super helpful. Also, the ladies who served breakfast were friendly! Clean hotel and nice pool
Location was convenient for our travel plans. I always enjoy parking right at my room access on the first floor. Easy to unpack the car and easy to depart. The Best Western has breakfast, always like making my waffle. This is an older property, but clean and well maintained.
Should be called Best Western Apartments, Not even close to a Hotel. Playmakers Sports Bar is excellent, Hotel clientele is shady at best. Paid nearly 300 for filthy room and no security at all. Hall door doesn't even lock for interior rooms. Pigeon poop everywhere outside. Had I paid 50 bucks, I would not be complaining. Dump, Stay Away!!
I would not stay at this Best Western to be honest it is very old and outdated and for the price it amazes me usually I pay that price for a Best Western Plus on the nicer side of town in California not a regular or a lower side of town and another state that is usually far less but it is what it is and I stayed there and I feel that pain 500 and some odd dollars is absurd in a 19 '70s hotel
Pick anywhere else because this place is a dump. From peeling paint in the hotel rooms and stains in the bathroom. Dead pigeons on window ledges. Seedy looking people walking through the parking lot at night. Photographer who took the pictures for their website should win an award. Don't waste your money lots of other places 1 mile north.
We stayed here because of its rating. The hotel was noisy and it seems there were people who were homeless and not used to being polite to fellow guests. People coming and going ALL night long. We will never stay at this facility again even though their breakfast was surprisingly adequate.
We did not stay after 5minutes of entering room. The scary people loitering around in the parking lot. The disgusting smell in hallways, the pigeon poop all over exterior. We did not feel safe, the room smelled and we were worried about the loose lock on the door. We lost our money and left within 5 minutes of entering room.
The hotel was nice, great breakfast selection, and a nice place for if you have a pet. It was helpful to have a sliding glass door from the room to a pet area. The staff was all very helpful.i will definitely stay here again when I and in the area.
Stayed there because it was close to local hospital. First impression on pulling up was not good. Seedy characters hanging around entrance. Room was clean but NO HOT WATER for 2 days. Staff was notified but they kept saying they were working on it. Back entrance had no security lock on door and was open entire stay. Very disappointed considering the price.
We made reservations a day before arrival. Also contacted hotel directly to request ground floor room on north side. Reservations and check in uneventful, easy and quick. Hotel and room clean and updated. Could use a few more electrical outlets along the walls, but number sufficed, even if not spread out. Good internet. All staff polite and helpful. Felt safe. Good BBQ at Rudy's within walking distance. (Less than a mile). Many stores and restaurants in area. Some airplane noise from nearby airport, but nothing annoying. Great breakfast and very attentive staff to breakfast room. Served from 5:45a-?9? Waffle maker, hot eggs, sausage-bacon-or ham, hash browns most mornings, bagels, pastrys, juice, coffee, hot chocoloate, yogurt, fruit, bread. Good parking, but maybe a little tight for larger rigs when hotel full. Heated pool. Only thing missing is a hot tub. We've been happy with our experience staying here before, and would stay here again. Not inexpensive, but not overly expensive either. As they say, you get what you pay for. Thanks Best Western Phoenix Goodyear for your hospitality.
We really liked this hotel. It is nicely located and, most of all, the rooms are clean. That is the first thing that I look for as soon as I enter the room. The bathroom was clean and the sinks were clean. Check in was easy and the staff is friendly. The room we got was a mini suite. We didn't ask for that, but that is what we got and we loved it. The water pressure was decent and there was plenty of hot water The TV was a good size, and I had an off a lot of channels. All the channels came in clearly. We did not use the pool, but it looked very clean, and a very nice size for a hotel. The breakfast was outstanding. A nice, hot breakfast with eggs and bacon or sausage depending on the day. Many other options to choose from as well. We would definitely stay here again.
We got here and right when I pulled up I knew by the amount of crackheads hanging out in the parking lot we would have to either lock ourselves in the room or just straight up leave and only come to sleep. When we did come to sleep I was nervous I would come outside to find my catalytic converter missing. Other than that. It was nice
Hotel's are very accommodating, clean rooms, good air conditioning. Great breakfast. Nice pool and deck area. Very quite. Very helpful staff, goes out of way to help you. Great coffee for breakfast. Even maids are very helpful.
It's the regular Best Western Motel. There is a nice laundry facility (Be advised, that closes at 11 p.m.) There is a restaurant inside but was closed during our stay. You can find some options for driving for 5 minutes. Our main problem was the noise. There was a lot of noise from trucks/pick-ups/vans around 4 a.m. in our step door and window that was impossible to sleep.
Property entry was inviting and enjoyed the desert motif it presented. As well, all the palm trees and foliage. Very nice. The only downside was the corridor entrance approaching the rooms from rear. Pigeon poop everywhere. Birds (Pigeons) overhead and in rear stairway. Very nasty at entrance. Corridor stayed filthy and smelled musty odorous and in serious state of fatigue.
This was one of the most disgusting uncomfortable hotel experiences I've ever had. The room smelled the floors were dirty the restrooms warrant cleaned. On top of the gross condition the beds were absolutely awful, if you could even call them beds. I hardly got any sleep my entire trip. What absolutely not recommend this place to anyone, I'll never be staying here ever again. I probably should have just slept in my car.
Doors did not lock, bathroom old and door did not close. Parking unsafe, hallways dirty. Breakfast was awful, eggs tasted nasty. Upon arrival staff was unprofessional, kept us waiting.Terrible experience overall.
It's an older property but very well-maintained. It looks like the rooms have recently been upgraded everything was very clean. bed was comfortable. Water pressure in shower was very good. Room was comfortable
This facility is basically a long term residence for many. The grounds are dirty and the people sketchy. My room smelled, I had no hot water and the A/C was inadequate for the room. Even at 61 the room failed to cool - temps outdoors were 103. Terrible experience and I could not check out fast enough the following day.
The staff here is AMAZING. The front desk was very kind and helpful, in addition the cleaning crew was friendly when you walked past. And the cleaning crew does a top notch job of keeping the rooms clean and smelling good. Breakfast has a great selection that they keep hot and fresh.
Telephone didn't work, A/C didn't work correctly (fan would not stay on), fan lent to us by hotel staff didn't work. One of the lights didn't work. Paper thin walls make it impossible for it to be remotely quiet. Walls are dirty, particularly in the bathroom. The only positive is that the staff were polite and as helpful as they could be. Definitely will not return. Really over priced, even for PHX area. Surprised that Best Western name apparently means nothing. Spend more and sleep well.
Very clean! Everything was working! Staff was very friendly! Breakfast was awesome!Hotel bar was great! Atmosphere was very upbeat ! Everything that I expected was very welcoming. Pool was a bit dirty but otherwise was well maintained.
Desk employees doing the best they can with what they have to work with. Breakfast was ok. Eggs, sausage, waffles, cereal, bagels, sandwich bread, and breakfast staff nice to most people. Rooms leave a lot to be desired. Room was not clean especially the bathroom, A/C not working, toilets loose and wobbly. Even after switching the problems followed. Holes in the walls and walls so thin you can hear the neighbors conversations.
The room was very clean and the staff here is amazing! Elizabeth from the front desk even helped carry in our luggage for my elderly mom. They serve a great buffet style breakfast that was hot & fresh (eggs, ham, sausage, waffles, fresh fruit, cereal, pastries....great selection). Pool area is nice, with a heated pool. The bar/restaurant was the happening place to be on the Friday night that we checked in. We were in town for a wedding and randomly picked this hotel. We made a great choice!
The beds were old and had bed bugs in one, old fixtures, broken toilet and was not bolted down so it rocked and rolled, very low water pressure, noisy neighbors coming in after partying. Check-in clerk count work the credit card machine.
Very pleasant stay in a renovated poolside room. Ashley and CJ were great at the front desk and insured all expectations were met. Enjoyed the pool area, daily breakfast and a little night life at the Urban Lounge connected to the property.
We spent two nights. Staff was very friendly, helpful and nice! Rooms were clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again. Great location. Close to State Farm Arena, shopping and restaurants.
First: Elizabeth is probably the Friendliest, most efficient, competent front desk person we've ever encountered. Fast, efficient, knowledgeable. For the property: cute and classic at a distance but showing age. A bit sketchy area (4 police cars in parking lot when we got up this am) Rooms noisy... could hear conversations on both sides. Cold water shower... even after letting it run for 10 minute (wasteful) it did not warm up. Nice sliding door to what could be a nice patio. Broken window screen and pidgeon poop on stoop. On site restaurant (don't think operated by hotel) empty, bored, inefficient staff... walked out after 10 minutes of being ignored. (Angry Crab up the street is always a great choice). The staff we met were all very friendly. The room was clean and standard Best Western. Dog friendly. Price should have been half what we paid. Cancelled our second night.
Room was comfortable, hot breakfast was excellent, front desk clerk very helpful, service staff were doing their best to work under difficult circumstances; breakfast staff worked tirelessly to accommodate guests wishes and they succeeded.
Loved the breakfast options. Bathroom looked newly remodeled. Spacious room, nice hardwood floor, but would have liked carpeting. Worst part was all the pigeon poop outside the sliding glass door - didn't want to go to pool, so didn't have to worry about using that door.
Never have had such a bad experience at Best Western. Dirty, door had gap would not close properly.Dust in fan so it blew on us. Air conditioner was half off wall. Beds very hard. Pool was dirty, they said it Arizona it's always dusty!!! Looked for different place but all booked lots of different groups in town.
We were travelling cross country and do have a dog. Best westerns have typically been our go to for this. This hotel was bad from the start. Staff were very nice but that was the end of that. Neighbors on both sides of us screaming, fighting, cussing so loud even our dog started shaking he was that scared. The room was old and worn. A/C was quiet only if it was kept on low fan and 72 degrees. Any other setting and it rattled constantly. There seems to be done updates done. I know the staff can't choose who stays but no one should have to put up with excessively loud guests.
Horrible property. Outside of property unkept, dirty and old. Room was obviously updated but stains on walls. Bathroom tub had stains. A/C although newer was loud at night, same with refrigerator. Bed very soft. Urban restaurant/ bar that is attached to hotel plays VERY loud music from happy hour to midnight both nights I was there, Fri-Sat. Impossible to sleep, it is extremely loud! Bar has patio facing pool / rooms and bar quests are also very loud. Loud hotel guests at all hours. I DO NOT recommend this hotel at least Fri-Sat!! Hotel representatives I dealt with were all friendly.
Everyone from check in to breakfast area were very nice. Our room was good size, beds were comfy and the breakfast in the morning was restaurant worthy. Will definitely stay here again. I usually take pictures of the room when we first get there but forgot, the room was very clean. Just to follow up it is an older property but it was very safe.
Great price, friendly staff, clean rooms with a microwave and refrigerator. The kids enjoyed the pool very quiet area. Excellent price for the services provided. Highly recommend having their breakfast during your stay.
My husband and I found this Best Western by chance a few years ago. We have always wanted to return but we have never been back to Goodyear. My daughter, granddaughter and I went on a quick weekend trip to Phx. I couldn't wait to book a room. We had a wonderful time in the pool and our room was out standing . My daughter was so impressed with the hotel that when she retrurnes with her husband and friends on their road trip they are going to book their room here.
I really liked that the room had sliding back window doors to get out to the back where ice machine is, my knee is inflamed and it was convient for me not having to walk all the way around the building to get ice.
Great room n breakfast. Friendly and nice front girl..Elizabeth and cooking lady. Very quiet.. room are big and beds are soft.. clean and spacious.. lil fridge n microwave is a big plus.. overall I really enjoy this place
Room was clean, staff was helpful. Internet worked well. Very good location for any services or needs that come up. Would stay again for a fair rate and solid location and clean comfortable room. Young lady at front desk is GREAT!
This bestwestern has outdone itself with quality, service and value for my dollar. Cudos to all the staff for making my stay hassle free. And the breakfast was well above average. I will continue to use bestwestern
We had a very poor experience here. When we first checked in, one of the members of our party was given a room that seemed as if someone was living out of it and was still dirty. The room was replaced with a cleaner room, but there were blood stains on the bathroom wall. There appeared to be several people living out of the hotel rooms near ours. Perhaps most frustrating is that we were told we would be given a government rate, but they actually over-charged the allowable per diem (leaving us with a nightmare of paperwork back home). When we called to ask a refund the manager was extremely dismissive and rude.
The rooms here need to be completely gutted and renovated. The air conditioner couldn't cool the room, and the pipes weren't insulated enough to provide cool water. There were gaps around the door and no cover over the hole where the pipes entered the room under the sink. Overall, it was a miserable experience for us, and I wouldn't recommend it for anyone.
Great staff, very friendly. Convenient location. Quiet, despite being near major roads and freeway. Nice pool. Wifi was weak. Bed was too worn. Though a little shopworn, this is a decent Best Western.
Bar attached to hotel closed at 2 am. Girl at desk said she had many complaints about extremely loud music, she went over to talk to someone at bar about the problem with no results. Nothing she could do. We were on opposite side from bar and it was horrible. No sleep until after 2 am. Hotel needs to buy the bar and make a resturant for guests.
Room #1, mildew smell strong enough to water my eyes. Room #2, broken toilet. Room #3, broken toilet that we fixed, constant drip, drip drip out of bath faucet (annoying but not that big of a deal). Complained 3 times about pigeon poop all over stairs and sidewalk, while there was a coiled up hose at the bottom of the stairs. Took 6 days for this to be cleaned up. Very outdated decor in public areas and rooms, along with super soft beds. Almost constant pot smell in hallway in evenings, and sometimes the mornings. Mentioned all of this to staff. Last 2 nights, neighbors across the hall were fighting, smoking pot, and had blood curdling screaming going on with 2 small children in the room. Doors slamming, scrambled eggs thrown all over in the hallway, you name it. I asked at check out if my bill had been adjusted (I had been assured it would be) and was not given even a 50 cent discount and/or any extra points. Nice staff but this property needs a reboot. We left exhausted and unhappy after being there 13 days for work. Not OK at all. (I am a Best Western Diamond Select member and stay with them quite often - and normally have good experiences)
I booked this room because of a three star rating. I need ADA accessibility. The room was not acceptable. There was not ADA parking except at the end of the building, there was a 3 inch lip into the room, the tub shower chair would not fit into the tub/shower, the shower head was not hand held, the sink did not drain, the bed was extremely hard and was extremely squeaky, the dresser drawers were broken and unusable. Therefore, I couldn't sleep or bathe. We booked for three nights and left after one extremely poor night.
There was hair around sink from prior guest shaving, coffee pot broken on arrival and staff could not replace it, truly grody carpet, overused beds and pillows. I needed a shower after I checked out. Way overpriced for the amount of yuck inside the room.
Staff were friendly, and the room was comfortable. No real complaints. The restaurant next store was awesome, great portions, great price and yummy. It was conveniently located and great value for what you get. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.
Went next door to the bar to attend to party for the new year. Kudos, I'll be back just because of the good vibe & the food & entertainment . Didn't expect it...I'll be back for sure to experience Goodyear on much needed time ...
I love my stay at best western Phoenix Goodyear inn I will stay there because the price is right and the staff is very friendly. Thank you for a wonderful stay. I will be staying again at your location.
I stayed here just to get some rest during my travels. Check in and check out was fast, and staff was extremely nice. Room were a bit outdated in my opinion for the price but very clean which is what I cared about the most. The hallways smelled like dust, but thankfully the rooms do not, lol. I would definitely stay here again.
Vaping in the room next door for HOURS, as soon as the sun went down. Told management TWICE -- they claimed it would be taken care of, but nothing was done. The pool was supposed to close at 10pm -- at 11pm, there were 5 or 6 people still drinking tons of alcohol (glass beer bottles and all), partying, listening to very loud music. Room is semi-clean and the soda machine doesn't even work. Very low-quality motel, not the mid-quality hotel they're pretending to be. They tried to update the location but cheaper out, resulting in mismatched appearance all over the site. Will NOT use this location ever again.
Checked in at 2am from a long drive in from out of state. Room smelled horrible, bed was like sleeping on the cement, shower was cold( Zero hot water!) and almost no water presure. We tried to open the sliding patio door as we were on the ground floor with a patio and the door was blocked and braced which woudl have been nice to be able to air out the room. I always bring a large throw blanket with me when I travel in my car just in case... lets just say I had to wahs it before I brought it back into my house again because it smelled like the room. I wont be staying here at this location again!
Internet pictures don't show the real picture. Our room was large and clean but very dated. The carpet near the sliding glass door was wet from a downpour the day prior to our check-in. The sink drain stank from the plumbing. The walls are thin so we could easy hear ALL our neighbors. And we up paid for the first week of Cactus League play. YUK.
My friends an I stayed here as the MLB was cancelling their Spring Training games, the restaurants were all closed, the movie theaters were closed. Fortunately, the wonderful and helpful staff here was able to accommodate us for breakfasts, with the help of the every present and cheerful Raelene. Our accommodations were great, as the Best Western was undergoing a huge upgade. The locations has always been ideal for our golfing and access to the highways. A special thanks to the daily managers, especially Ashley Allen. The staff here has always been first rate and accommodating.
We have stayed at this hotel primarily the last 10 years for i's proximity to the Cleveland Indians/Cincinnati Reds Spring Training facility in Goodyear, AZ. Th breakfast is well stocked and very good and have noticed some improvements to he Lobby area. The rooms in the pet-friendly area have suffered the most, falling into disrepair. Although the essentials worked fine, it is time for some upgrades. We paid extra for the proximity to the ball fields but for nearly $1000 less, we could have stayed ~ 10 miles away in a more recently updated facility.
Best Western Goodyear has a staff that surpasses all expectations. They make you feel like you are family. Wonderful service and breakfast was delicious. This is my second year staying there and I will most definitely be back next year. My husband , who has trouble finding a good mattress, thought the mattress was extremely comfortable.
I preface this bad review to say I'm a Medical Sales Rep that stays in hotels about 175 nights a year, and have Diamond Status in Best Western, Hilton and Marriott, so I am not bashing Best Westerns, I normally love them! My initial reservation at this property was a "mini suite", this room did not have a desk to do work, so I asked to change rooms, I was moved to a king room, the room was clean, but the windows were disgustingly dirty, there were pigeons outside my window, with caked pigeon droppings on the landing. My screens had tears in them. The pictures posted on this property's web page DO NOT reflect how is looks currently! The exterior has broken light fixtures, I could go on and on. Very disappointed for the $219 I paid per night! I recommend steering clear of this property.
The handicapped bathroom was a NIGHTMARE. No hand held shower! Wobbly and filthy dirty shower bench. No place to put shampoo or soap. Vanity so high I was unable to see myself in the mirror. Had to wash my hands at shoulder height. Worst A.D.A. room I have EVER stayed in. Bathroom so small I was unable to turn my wheelchair. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!
Loved the comfortable beds, manager was sweet and breakfast was tasty. Very close to Goodyear baseball spring training camps. We've stayed twice and look forward to seeing the updated hotel rooms! New lobby up date looks amazing.
We were very disappointed in our stay here. The back door did not require a key for entry, so anyone could just walk in. We had no hot water in our shower. When we told the desk at checkout (because we only stayed one night and found out too late there was no hot water) we were told there was nothing they could do to adjust our rate because the reservation was made online...through the Best Western site. We were super disappointed. Back in a month and will NOT be staying here.
The service was absolutely amazing and the front lobby was obviously recently updated it looked fantastic! The employees were so fantastic and extremely nice but that hotel room was pretty dirty. The floor was so dirty it turned our feet black and the windows were dirty as well. In addition, rooms were pretty dated.
Booked and paid for room through customer service, who failed to mention it was the last room available, on the 2nd floor with no elevator available for my 89 year old mother. WTF is wrong with you people? To make matters worse, the toilet doesn't work and the maintenance man isn't available until tomorrow. Hey, here's a novel idea - get his butt out of bed and get him in here to fix the damn toilet! Why the hell would you even rent a room with a non-working toilet? Are we supposed to do our business outside? Seriously, what is wrong with you people? Here's another novel idea - put cigarette butt cans outside so people can dispose of their butts. The area at the bottom of the stairs is littered with them. It's disgusting and not fair to the employees who have to pick them up. If you think by not having a butt can that people won't smoke, you're pathetically naive. This hotel needs to up its game!
Ask for Ashley if you want excellent caring service. Breakfast was a nice addition to a welcoming stay. It was a difficult time in our lives and we were forced to stay at a hotel and it made life easier and more stress free
Very nice rooms , staff was friendly and helpful. Dog area was convenient and clean. Coffee was great! Water for shower was a bit cool, parking with trailer was easy and location of hotel was very easy to get in and out of. Couple restaurants in walking distance.
Everyone always greets you with a smile. Anything you require is always done enthusiastically. From Felix the manager to all employees working reception, maintenance and housekeeping, everyone is pleasant and helpful.
The location of this hotel gave me easy access to the location of the photo shoot I was doing. The room was nice and clean. Super massage shower head and nice hot water! Love having a frig and microwave right in the room.
Not safe! There are plenty of hotels North of the 10 freeway. Better to choose one of them. The hotel has tweekers hanging around and staying there. When I arrived the police were addressing an issue. Local family in the area said the police are there often. Shortly after I checked in, a guest came in and said his truck was burglarized the night before and his tools were taken. The clerks answer to that was to say "yeah they were probably just looking for stuff they could sell. First of all, no kidding, duh. But how about a little empathy, maybe "I'm really sorry that happened to you. We will advise the local police department and ask for more checks in the area etc." The doors that are supposed to secure the hallways at night don't even close properly and appear to be very warped. The entire hotel is clean, but definitely in need of a makeover. Lastly, the clerk said the pool was open 24 hours a day. Who the heck needs people swimming and making noise at 2 in the morning?? There are just way too many choices in the area to make this one a viable option.
Facility is very rundown. I was locked out of my room & had to wait 20 minutes in the cold while lock was reset, because my key & hotel master key didn't work. Toilet ran, heater was too loud to sleep & Internet was slow. Front desk clerk tried hard & was nice, but was overwhelmed.
As always, there's good and bad............... Positive----Motel a little aged but ok Positive----Staff nice Negative---Mattress sits on wooden stands that are flush with the mattress and extend to the floor. No place for your toes. Positive----Front desk called to let me know a few minutes after check in to let me know there would be maintenance on the water system and it would be off for 20 minutes. Negative---Came back after dark and didn't see the broken beer bottle in my parking spot so drove over that. No harm though. Negative---Came back late to shower and sleep and there's no water. Desk offered to discount bill 50% for inconvenience. What would have been nice was a phone call so we could have found another place. Positive----Upon further discussion I discover there are some rooms with water and we can use the toilet. Negative--Wouldn't let us move over 3 rooms or so to one with water because we had a pet. Did agree to let us use the shower but there was no hot water so didn't work out. I asked for a bucket to fill with water to flush toilet in our room because of course we didn't know the water was out until after we used the toilet. That seemed to be too difficult a request so I used the trashcans in the room to ferry water. Only time I ever wished for a low flow toilet as the tank must have held 5 gallons and wouldn't flush when I only filled it halfway! Desk wouldn't let us keep a key to the room with working water and we had to go to front desk each time to access the room so I stored water in case we had an emergency. Positive--- Breakfast was good. In summary I'd like to believe the desk staff had good intentions but perhaps not the authority or imagination to make a bad situation better................This was my "free" promotional night for using Best Western in the past and I was still charged a 15.00 pet fee in spite of the unfortunate way things turned out.
Rebecca and desk manager along with the other personnel I met were exceptional. Even with water pipe break they handled the situation professionally and got things repaired post haste. Always a pleasure to stay at a place they remember u and treat u special
I had a very good time Goodyear Phoenix because they have the best best Western and good doctors there and food places my stay was the best that I ever been on. I will come back to stay every time I come to the doctor.
Stayed there 4days, 3nights. King size room/bed. Good deal for what is offered. Comfy bed and pillows, clean room and bathroom. Good water pressure for the shower, excellent breakfast, friendly staff. The rooms are dated, furniture wise, they have a serious pigeon issue. Back porch was covered in pigeon poop. Was told the Pool was heated, it's not. Yet, the patio area was very nice to sit out and enjoy the weather. Like I said decent room for the price.
Stayed for a week, Good location, great staff, Breakfast very good, one issue with hot water but taken care of very quickly. Very quiet and convenient to the I10 Hwy and shopping. Older hotel but decent value for the money.
Run-down, dated. Furniture was broken (throughout) and the musty, dog smell was over powering. Staff was apologetic at the condition of the lobby. Wish we had slept in our car. AAA guide gave this hotel too much credit in their travel book.
The building is older and under renovation. First room did not have a working A/C, got a new room. No hot water for shower...quickly fixed. Bed was amazingly comfortable. Hotel Manager staff worked hard to fix all issues.
This club is really good prices for drinks .can be booked for .weddings .birthday parties ha two main halls .staff nice .great dj nights and band nights .Had 30th bday party in here and was best night ever .need book taxi least ten mins before leaving as you wont get one just off street best to book ahead .great for charity nights also .
Rooms were ok, breakfast was good - eggs, bacon, waffles etc. Pool area was bad, no jacuzzi and pool plaster was breaking off. The pool looked like it hadn't been brushed for some time and the underwater pool light was falling out of its hole and was rusted. Pool towels were small and stained. Shower was nice.
Not a bad place for the price, good location to freeway. Dated hotel under remodel. Parking lot seems like it could use more lighting, especially if you have to park in front and walk to the back of the property late night. Right next to residential housing but quite. Bed was comfortable, room clean, and hot shower. Restaurants and convenience stores close by. 15-20 minutes to cabellas and casinos. Breakfast was standard with fresh fruit. Might stay again
The motel was peaceful and quiet, our room had no unpleasant odors and was very clean! The front desk employee, Elizabeth went above and beyond to make our stay very pleasant! The location was close to other stores and restaurants that we wanted to visit!
Property was a bit outdated, but it was in the middle of renovations when we stayed. Room was clean and staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast room had been renovated and was very nice. Food choices were great.
Very friendly staff. The only real problem is that Best Western's overall are under going remodels. So you are subjected to ongoing torn up hotels. The front desk is their first area, so when you walk in the floors and walls are broken down. Other than having this, they are still very good. The staff does apologize for this. The rooms are in need of updates as well.
The outside of this motel is in need of major help....the rooms are nice sized and very clean, thank you housekeeping! The furnishings were new and comfortable although I wish there were 2 "easy" chairs to relax in for 2 people. The rooms have been update but the sliding glass door was not working properly and very old. The front door was not a firedog type and pretty flimsy. Check in and out fairly quick...no Wi-Fi but lots of construction in the area so could be COX problem. Price fair for the accommodations but didn't really feel 100% ok there......
I would have given it a higher review but Hotel was under construction when we arrived and could not use pool. . But staff was very friendly and polite. A full breakfast was also served and included in your rate.
The staff is fantastic! From Karen, at the front desk, multitasking the phone and getting me trash bags to Chris and Kaitlin going straight to google to answer a question they did not know off the top of their heads. The manager, Justin has a great sense of humor as I stated off calling him Patric and as a joke just continued calling him that and he just rolled with it. Then the reason I started this review (I seldom do this): Alibenia with housekeeping. I was stuck in Phoenix because my truck broke down, so I was not really excited to be in Phoenix on the 4th of July but she made me laugh out loud for the first time in a couple days. If staff is important to you this is the place to stay!
We lost electricity in our room at midnight. Learned at 4 am that it was not the whole hotel, just our room. Called the front desk - they didn't have another room to move us to, and maintenance wouldn't be in until 8 am. Gathered our belongings by flashlight (ours). Requested that the manager be notified. Followed up with email - did not hear from the hotel. BW customer service offered "points" for our inconvenience - which we did not want.
HORRIBLE MANAGER I responded to their email to request cancellation of reservation. The manager refused to accept the cancellation because it was via email and not telephonically. Charged me a cancellation fee. Apparently, a "typed" cancellation via email is not acceptable, where a phone call is.
Perfect place for my family to spend a few days, while exploring that area of LA. It was clean, comfortable, and priced just right for us. Kathy and the staff were all very friendly and very accommodating.
I could stay at any hotel in the area that I wish. But The customer service at the best Western in Goodyear Always leaves me to choose them. If you need a hotel in the Goodyear area, I wholeheartedly recommend the best Western. You won't be disappointed, I never have.
The neighborhood surrounding this hotel lowered the rating for me because the women in our group were not comfortable staying there. Thankfully, we were not alone. The staff was amazing and the rooms were very clean but i could not get past the location.
This hotel had good value. It was clean and the property was attractive from the street in front. The weather was cool, so I didn't use the pool, but I wanted to :) Breakfast was nice. The room was clean, well cared for. I'd stay here again if in the area.
Friendly efficient & attentive staff clean comfortable rooms great amenities pool,an actual breakfast with eggs bacon or sausage pastries waffles & lots more If nothing else the breakfast alone YUM YUM
The hotel is very nice, clean, has excellent amenities, great breakfast, beautiful pool, in a great convenient location to the highway & business & attractions. Very very comfortable spacious rooms. Staff was friendly, informative, and showed true hospitality.
The hotel was nice and clean, the pool was well taken care of. The Breakfast was great .. very fresh. I did hear that the hotel was going to be renovated. It does need some TLC but the rooms and breakfast room was clean.
We have stayed at other Best Western and this was the worse. Very old, needs a major overhall. Last day we had a major pumbling issue resulting in flooding in the bathroom. Unable to contact front desk. Ralele from the kitchen helped find desk clerk. Best to go to newer hotel down the street for the cost we paid. Very disappointed and will not stay at another Best Western.
Stayed here again during Spring Training. Great location and VERY helpful and hard working staff. Great location to ballpark, I 10 and shopping/ restaurants. Quiet and peaceful area. Will come back for all the same reasons. Special thanks to Raelene who looks after the ample breakfast every day. Thanks again!
The staff was amazing. We will stay at this Best Western every Spring Training. The front office manager Ashley was the best. She made our first stay for Spring Training awesome. I highly recommend staying here.
Save your money and time. The latch on the sliding door had a hook that was nowhere near anything to hook on. Safety was dependent upon a light aluminum bar holding the door closed. The carpet is ancient and the mattress was saggy. Paid $295. Will drive further next time to a Motel 8 or something like it.
When I booked this hotel through HotWire it listed fitness center. There is none. I was sent over 2 miles away to a nice gym that wanted 35 dollars. Also, Our room went uncleaned one day as housekeeper quit that afternoon. The carpet was SO DIRTY we put down towels to walk on. The water would not get hot many times. I would highly recommend people NOT TO BOOK this hotel.
Very clean and convenient location to Goodyear Park. Raelene in the breakfast area was super helpful and very pleasant. Breakfast was included and a major time saver as we wanted to get the ball parks to watch the teams practice. Our plan is to make this an annual trip! GO TRIBE!
We traveled to Goodyear from Cleveland Ohio for spring training. The hotel was in a great location for our needs, the staff was very nice and accommodating. The hotel was clean and the breakfast was delicious. Great place at an affordable price.
Extremely cozy & comfortable rooms. Clean & no odors. The staff is extremely friendly, professional & available. Had a bit of a problem when the room I was given had a faulty lock on the sliding glass door to patio (it would not open), but was moved to another room right away without question. I felt it was a little pricy, but was convenient to where I need to attend. Will definitely stay again if in the area. Very pleasant stay.
This is in regards to Ashley Allen & Felixb2035 GM. Where did you get your training? Its obvious you two are sharing romance of some sort. "Felix" from what I recall you were not present the day my family and I were treated so poorly. To say that there was no cash in bank account yet we were able to reserve and pay for a room at your hotel. Very disrespectful. Corporate is soon to hear from me.
The office manager was not only rude and disrespectful, she is also raciest. On top of all that she has no customer service skills what so ever. I didnt even get the chance to get a room at the hotel because as soon as I walked in the door she looked at me and said no we only accept an active bank account type card no cash. Then I come back with my bank card and she changes the policy to cash only. My skin color was why she really refused me service. She is a terrible front office manager and should be fired. She has a very bad attitude. I would never recommend anyone stay at this hotel. What kind of owner is running such place. Add this to your millions of other bad reviews that are already on here.
Terrible hotel. 46 degrees outside temp when we turned on room heater. Smoke and noxious smell emitted from heater immediately. So had to turn off and sleep cold all night. No extra blankets in room. At checkout we complained and were told "that happens sometimes." Would never stay here again.
Everything was average. My door would not open without force then it would not stay shut. Had to go to the front desk. I was informed that that particular door had been a problem. Moved to another room with mold in the shower.
Walls were very thin and we had talkative neighbors which meant it felt like we shared a room with them. Also, they need to do something about pigeons roosting on window sills. Breakfast and staff good
I was very disappointed with this Best Western. Also, disappointed in the TripAdvisor ratings. Maybe I missed something but the the property is not very well maintained. The lobby area was ok. The hallway was not dirty, it was absolutely filthy, didn't look like it was vacuumed in weeks. (maybe it was only the building I was in). The room, 127, smelled old and musty. Even the bed was noisy. The WiFi was poor. I would not stay here again, nor would I feel comfortable recommending this hotel to anyone.
Very nice hotel with free hot breakfast included, huge spacious rooms, swimming pool, free daily newspaper, very welcoming reception staff, very reasonable with great cleaning staff. Ideally located to Goodyear Airport Estrella Golf Complex.
The staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was very good and the room was kept stocked and very clean. Raelene was especially friendly. The location was close to many attractions. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Goodyear.
Goodyear's freeway-close Best Western meets the usual excellent BW standards in terms of room size and comfort. The staff here are familiar with pet owners' needs and are more than accommodating to visitor requests; a separate block of rooms in the rear hotel cater exclusively to those traveling with four-legged companions. The hotel is within walking distance or a short drive to a number of dining options, and the full hot breakfast is more than enough to get the engines started on checkout.
Good room for the price. About what you would expect. Nice grass area for pets but we ended up picking up not only after ours but others as well. Perhaps a small "fido station" with bags and a message to please clean up would make a difference. Breakfast managed by Raelene was excellent. She keeps everything clean and fresh. Bravo.
Nice remodeled motel. Clean rooms, up dated all the way around. Our rooms bed was amazing. Slept great. Friendly staff, nice breakfast spread. Nice size parking area for your needs. Value for the price.
We stayed overnight. Very easy check in, nice staff, clean big room, good breakfast in morning. Establishment was clean and quiet. I was told they have a pet friendly area of the hotel. Would stay again.
Very nice room, great breakfast provided by Raeleno!! Walking distance to restaurants, very clean room, high threadcount sheets, the front desk staff was friendly and helpful, I had a very nice TV, overall great experience!
Can't say enough good things about this BW location. We arrived Oct 31 and the hotel entrance and registration desk were decorated as well as the person at the desk was dressed in a costume. Really sweet. The staff was very accommodating and made sure I had an updated Loyalty Club card. We had booked a King Suite with a fridge and microwave. The room was large, comfortable and had everything we had requested, We were told that our room rate was discounted and that a full hot breakfast was available in the morning.
I stayed at the best western for four nights in October 2018. They serve a good breakfast with a variety of things. Moreover, there is a happy hour in the evening time that the guests can enjoy. The room was nice and cleand. I do recommend it as a good place to stay in Phoenix
This was my 2nd stay here and the Staff is very nice..They make me feel at home : ) The Breakfast is Delicious with a Great Variety of Food..Raelene who works very hard putting on the breakfast every morning is Outstanding!! She went out of her way to get me my favorite Herbal Tea!! Ashley always helps with booking arrangements for my next stay and does a Wonderful job...My 2nd Home!! I Would definitely recommend staying here anytime! High Thumbs up!
Very pleased with our stay. We spent 7 days visiting family. Pricing was reasonable, staff was personable, especially Amber at the front desk & Raelene did an amazing job with a fresh, balanced, tasty breakfast each day! The rooms were clean & maintained. Overall it was a pleasant stay without any bad surprises.
We were very pleased on how the BW was. It was clean and the staff was very helpful and the pool was very clean. The room was great and clean. The breakfest was good and the eating area was clean. My husband and grandkids enjoyed the stay.
My partner and I shared a room for the last two weeks as we were honeymooning in the Goodyear area desert. The facility is older yet quaint, well maintained and very romantic The single occupancy room had plenty of space for the two of us to be comfortable as we escaped the rest of the world for a long needed "reconnection" Brian & Jeff
Let's start with the room. Very nice and clean. Extremely comfy beds. Bathroom is small but recently updated. Minor calcium build up on the shower head no big deal. Big pool, nice breakfast area. The Hotel staff is wonderful super helpful and easy to talk to. Here's the bad side. The in room AC unit is to small. Its 100+ degrees and the unit is the size of a pillow. I feel bad for it, 2 the location looks kinda sketchy, dark parking lot, exterior corridors, patio door out to the pool right from the room on the first floor. Doesn't feel safe to me at all. If it wasn't for those few major negatives it'd be 5 star
This hotel was old and dirty. Our room had torn bed linen and we did not get coffee supplies until the third day of our stay. We were given one small towel, per person! The breakfast offerings were tasteless, as well.
Building is somwhat older and the hallway carpets need a deep cleaning. Aside from that, the BW staff was friendly and the room was great. Good size, bed was soft and there were no problems with the internet. Breakfast had the usual BW Goodies. Will return.
Its a nice place but a tad outdated. Folks who work there are courteous and the breakfast selection is good with a clean facility. According to staff there will be some refurbishing so maybe the upgrades will improve their ratings.
This place is in a good location. It's a very nice hotel for the price. I will stay here every time i go to Arizona . I like the rewards program. The breakfast is is good and convenient. The employees are nice.
The photos of this hotel made it look decent. When we got there I was pretty surprised and it was not what I expected. I didn't know much about the Goodyear area but this area seemed a little rough to me. There isn't much around it so it seemed a bit dark. The lobby was nice and the staff was friendly. We drove around to our room and there was dog poop all around our parking spot and of course one of us stepped in it. The room was spacious and decent enough. However the carpet was covered in dog hair, so much so that I was worried they would charge me for having an animal in the room since I had to sign a paper that we didn't have pets. My husband and daughter walked around the room with bare feet and it wasn't long before their feet were black! The shower worked good enough but was one temperature and wouldn't get any cooler. The breakfast was good, there was a variety of things to choose from, but the eggs and potatoes were so salty! All in all this was an ok place to stay, but I would never stay here again.
Dissapointed for a BW. Friendly staff and clean lobby. Hallways need work as they were dirty with the same trash at check in and check out. The room was ok and appeared clean enough. Off the Hwy a bit, but easy on and off. Attached restaurant was closed so had to get in car and drive again. Only several blocks. Pool was clean, but we found the one chair that was broken. Again not what I expect and would not stay again based on price for what, we recieved.
Best Westen Phoenix-Goodyear Inn one of the rooms that was assigned to our friends still had not been cleaned had to be reassigned to a different room the new room the carpet was filthy. Our room had toilet problems had to use lobby restroom this was an inconvenience the lobby was not close by. When we call the front desk we were told that maintenance was not on site till 7:30 in the morning. Also our room had air conditioning issues. When we were checking out the clerk behind the desk seemed to be annoyed when we reminded them of the issues the person said she'll look at the problems and gave us a 10% discount off our room. Never said sorry for our inconvenience. Very disappointed!
We had a great experience at this hotel. Room was perfect! Everything was clean and nicely decorated and the bed was so comfortable which we loved. Special thanks to the GM, Jay P. who went above and beyond to accommodate all our special requests and made us feel welcomed and valued as a first time guest. We would recommend this hotel any day!
I stayed at this Best Western on family business for 8 days. I've travelled for a living for about 50 years and know a nice place from one that's not. This is a nice place! Clean, well maintained and everyone on the staff was friendly and helpful. The hot breakfast was wonderful every morning and the hostess even offered to make a waffle for me. My room was more than adequate and everything worked properly. Even the laundry room and equipment was clean and in great shape. (except the door was a bit stuck and little extra nudge was needed). The grass in the little courtyard was not in the best shape but it was July in the Phoenix area and the temps were bout 107 F and I didn't expect perfection. The only thing keeping me from giving this place a full 4 stars was their restaurant was closed and never opens. I stayed in a 1st floor room right by the very nice pool and it was quiet and convenient and the price was very reasonable. I will most certainly stay there when I'm in the Goodyear area again.
While nothing special, this BW was adequate for an overnight stay. Luckily our room was in the only building with inside entrances which also meant it was away from the road. As another pointed out the breakfast area was clean & contained typical hotel breakfast items. Since we were there only to visit a relative who was in town for work, we appreciated the low summer price. There are lots of eateries around the area.
ASHLEY made me feel welcome, listened to my needs and then met them all! The room was comfortable and I slept well. The breakfast area had many delicious choices, all served hot and fresh! RAELENE was super helpful and courteous. Overall, a wonderful stay!
Breakfast area Very clean and fresh Thank you, Raelene all breakfast look fresh and so good Check in and check out associate was very polite. My room was on the first floor The beds are really comfortable, the restroom was clean, Thank you
After reading reviews I expected more. Check in and check out associate were very polite. My room was on the second floor towards rear of building. I would rate cleanliness 3, air conditioner was older and noisy, shower head was attractive but my husband complained of lack of pressure. The pool hours closed at ten but when we returned at 11:30 pm, people were still swimming and splashing. Trouble sleeping due to fullness of pillows and air conditioner noise. It was a long day and sleep should have come easier. Breakfast area was attractive, breakfast food compared to other Hotels Including other Best Western, rated below average. My future Reservation cancelled at this particular Best Western. Laughable Situation the phone in our room had 29 messages since May 10th waiting and red blinking light was a-bit annoying. Did not watch Television but screen pointed downward and could not be adjusted. I rated this Best Western a three because the associates were exceptional.
Best part would have to be the breakfast. RAELENE is attentive. She kept the breakfast area clean and stocked for the 715am rush. The beds are really comfortable, restroom was clean, and pillows to a perfect fluff.
The hotel was full- there were no rooms in town because of multiple events - this was in November 2017. There was football (cardinals), hockey (coyotes) and many other events. We booked a room but had a conflict. I called the hotel and asked them if I could please cancel- reschedule, do anything and I was told NO. YOU WILL BE CHARGED THE FULL RATE. I told them we would not be coming- and I asked them if anything could be done and was told no. I could understand it if the rooms were hard to book- or if it was absolute last minute- or if they said "if we book the room we will give you a refund- if not- we wont"--I could and would have accepted that. So I was looking in booking.com (I booked it via booking.com) and it says "NO SHOW". See- if they put no show then its on me. I just feel like they are not interested in their "GUESTS"- but in maximizing their revenue. The reality is that if that would have been resolved someway---"we will give you a credit to stay another time, we will refund if we rebook, we will give you 1/2 back" anything- we would have probably stayed there 3-4 more times by now. But since they didn't we didn't and wont. I am putting this review here so that YOU KNOW---that if you make a reservation and need to change/cancel- you will not be allowed to.
The rooms are large enough and clean. The bed is comfortable and there is a nice swimming pool in a very pleasant courtyard. The breakfast is wonderful. Definitely good place to stay, it's affordable and good quality for the money. Nice staff too!
This is an older property that is very well maintained. The rooms are clean with updated furnishings and decor. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Raelene in the breakfast room went above and beyond to help my disabled wife and I.
Best Western Goodyear is a very nice place to stay and highly recommend it. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. It was very quiet and my husband and I got a good rest. The breakfast was great.
Highly recommended. The staff is very welcoming and personable. I am definitely a repeat customer. Although my reasons for coming to Phoenix are far from the hotel I stay there anyway because of the staff and rooms.
Competitive pricing, they were able to meet my special request for my stay. Staff very friendly. They were able to provide cleaning rags for my motorcycle. Directed me to a really good seafood restaurant. Would stay again.
Great Place to Stay and Relax nice rooms and pool area food in the morning is hot and cold with lots of extra stuff like fruit and snacks fun for all ages kids friendly and couples are also welcome to stay and have quite time together in their private room by the pool with great customer service to go along with fast check in and fast check out.
The room was clean, bed comfortable. We had a very long day and were disappointed in the hard chairs. Other Best Westerns had love seats or overstuffed chairs with ottomans. Rooms need to be updated. Staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast had a good variety of things to eat.
The general appearance when you drive up is it needs a little help. They were training a new person so check in took longer than usual but was okay. I think I got the old wing!! The room was small but clean. The AC was very, very noisy. Bed comfort was okay. Workspace area was great with good electrical outlet supply. Wi-Fi worked well. The bathroom was small but very clean. The shower looked great BUT was a joke!! If you wait 5 minutes the water will get hot eventually but the pressure is zero!! It took 10 minutes to wash the shampoo out my hair!!! NO it is to sad to be a joke!! I stayed 2 nights and left. Breakfast was okay but not a huge variety. There was inside and outside seating. They have a nice looking outdoor pool but I didn't use it. Lots of parking right off a main road. This place could be so nice!! I will find an alternative for next time.
Polite & helpful staff, nice patio & pool area. Room was satisfactory but carpet seemed due for a deep steam cleaning. Location was great with shops and restaurants nearby but not right next door to the hotel.
We've stayed in many, many motels over the years, including many BW motels. This one is right at the top, first-rate in every respect. Clean, well laid out room (including the increasingly-rare towel bar near the bathroom sink!), pleasant staff, comfy bed, breakfast the usual fare but good. Phoenix is mainly a stopping point on our way home, but this BW will be a likely go-to motel for us next time we need one there.
We have stayed at better Best Westerns. We did not think the room was furnished as well as some of the others we have stayed at. The bed was comfortable but could have used a chair other than the desk chair.
We are staying at the best Western only for two nights we came down for breakfast and there were no blueberries. I mentioned to my husband that I was looking forward to having blueberries and yogurt this morning. Raelene our hostess in the breakfast room heard me and very graciously went and got me some blueberries This room is very clean plenty to eat and she is very friendly and accommodating
Check in was efficient but a bit robotic and not that friendly, the lobby area is nice. Room was clean, comfortable and a reasonable size, although furniture was a bit tired and the windows were desperate for a clean. Grounds were very nice and the pool area was excellent- peaceful, good size and relaxing. Breakfast room was nice, and the complimentary breakfast pretty standard but perfectly adequate with a good choice. The gym is close, (website needs updating) and there's obviously once been a bar on site, but this too is closed. It's about a 20 min walk or 5min drive to umpteen places to eat, and shops, so quite well located. I had prepaid for the room, but an erroneous charge was still made to my credit card, which my travel agent sorted out, and the hotel refunded - but a slight irritation that I could have done without - so check when you checkout that all is in order. In all, pleasant hotel that could just do with a few tweaks and updates here and there, but would certainly recommend.
We've stayed at several Best Westerns throughout the years. This one was clean and quiet. It had probably the friendliest and most accommodating staff of all. We experienced no problems while we were there, and would definitely return!
I switched hotels from extended stay to this gem! We just moved here and had to stay in a hotel for a couple weeks and I thought extended stay right...wrong! I wont go into it but I explained to Best Western front desk manager Ashley who is amazing and very very sweet and personable, my situation with two babies chihuahuas and my husband starting a new job. She was very sympathetic and accommodating. very friendly staff! Every morning id bring the two babies with me for breakfast and was greeted by Raelene the lady who runs the breakfast and she is soooo sweet, even made me a waffle once and brought it to me. she is top notch and a great addition to this amazing staff. The hotel owner even asked if everything was good, ensuring that I was enjoying my stay. They have a beautiful grass area where I could take my dogs to use the bathroom. Thanks Ashley and Raelene for everything, they were kind of like family as I was there. The cleaning ladies were sweet too.
Great location to stay at when attending the Nascar races. The cost is a bit jacked up due to the fact that Nascar and spring training is in town. I wish that they would not up the rates for these weekends! Hotel is average, so the cost is a bit overpriced for the type of hotel. Rooms could use a bit of updating, but overall not bad.
We have stayed at this location for the past 3 years to visit Reds spring training. For the location and price, it is the best deal in Goodyear. Very close to ball park and restaurants in the area, and the breakfast is always pretty good. Our room was showing it's age, but everything is still very clean. This time we accidentally left a pair of glasses and a phone charger, but contacted the hotel and they found our belongings and held them until we could swing by and pick them up - kudos to the staff on that one. We will keep this hotel as our go to stay when we visit spring training again next year.
I stayed here a month ago. Great stay, good location and close to everywhere you need to be. The area was unusually cold, once I checked in the front desk asked if I needed an extra blanket. No other hotel has ever done that. Clean room, nice staff, very safe! Great location will stay here again.
This hotel has multiple vending machine and laundry facilities but no change at the counter - I specifically asked before going to work to get change so I would not have to run out and get change - did not happen - very disappointed
Room had everything I needed. Clean, firm mattress, refrigerator, and the room was quiet. The hot breakfast was certainly better than average. Good, convenient location. Overall an excellent value for the price!
our room was on the first floor and was very convenient for us with our pets. there were patio sliding doors to the courtyard and a very friendly, safe atmosphere. there are quite a few restaurants nearby. the only downside, a pipe had burst and the lot was partially flooded. rooms are a little older than some hotels but was adequate and we will stay again when in this area
The service was exceptional! Professional, courteous and friendly attitude. Answered all our questions and made sure we knew about the free breakfast. Nice to have someone appreciate the customer! Kudos to her!!!
Hotel is dated and in our building there was a old cigarette smell in the hallways. It would help if the hallway "Juliet balcony" doors were open for a couple hours a day to air out. Housekeeping seems over worked from what we could see. Windows in our room as well as the entire building we were in needed a good cleaning. Our room had a full length mirror that was dirty and although we had a coffee pot in our room there were no coffee or tea bags. Pool was warm. WiFi worked well. Check in was quick. The breakfast was quite good with scrambled eggs. Bacon, yogurt, fruit, waffles, etc. The gal in charge of breakfast does a really good job. The hotel is within walking distance of a few fast food joints and "Ruby's " is close by. Price is reasonable. I was told this Best Western is under new ownership and that upgrades would be done in the future.
Raelene is the reason we love to stay here. She is super friendly and keeps everything fresh at the breakfast buffet and will go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. While the rooms are okay, the staff make our stay worth it.
The carpet was beyond gross. My son was barefoot for 20 minutes between his bath and bed. I had to re wash his feet because they were black from the carpet. The area of town was very nice and the hotel would be great otherwise.
I thought the room was a very good deal for what we got. The room was nice, the bed was comfy, we enjoyed the view from the room and the breakfast was really good. The shower head needed to be replaced, but all things considered that was a minor irritation compared to all the good things this motel offered.
Really enjoyed our stay. I need one of their mattresses. So comfy for me. It was firm which was great. The breakfast was very good. The hotel Wi-Fi was very adequate. Will definitely be staying here in the future. I stayed for the NASCAR race. The hotel is close to the track and in a great location.
The staff at this BW is some of the best I have come across. After we checked in, got into the room, used the bathroom and water is spraying out from under the toilet. Went to the front desk to change rooms, 2 minutes and done, got back to our room and Housekeeping and maintenance were already there to assess the problem. Later we got back pretty late and the remote was missing. Again 5 minutes and a new one was at our door. Clean, Quiet and close to everything. Thanks.
A nice, quiet hotel for relaxing. The rooms are clean and very roomy and they have a great pool area for enjoying the evenings. The staff was friendly, courteous and able to answer questions regarding the area. The complimentary breakfast was a nice touch and a perfect way to start out our day. We will definitely stay again on our next trip to Goodyear.
We have been on a 47 day road trip, each night spent in hotels... Some of these have been great, some have been horrifying! This was one of the greatest! The beds were soft, the room was clean, the breakfast was wonderful and the tub wasn't slippery! You can't get much better than that! I just wish we had discovered Best Western before our last night on the road!
The hotel is in a quiet area with quick access to the highway. There are multiple dining places near and with walking distance. Also, there are shops and boutiques with nick-nacks. Excellent value for the price..
This hotel is in a good area and i felt safe walking around the area. Service was good and the room was clean and comfortable. Their breakfast was excellent. I would stay there again if I am ever back in that area.
Very clean, good accommodations. Check in was fast and easy. Everything in the room worked and the breakfast was very good. There was a large hot breakfast with everything you could want. The attendant was very helpful and was constantly checking that the breakfast area was kept clean.
Dirty, small rooms. Carpet turns your feet black, hair in beds, mold in shower, broken sliding glass door. I've had $35 motel 6 rooms nicer. Manager Ashley tried to make things right but some stuff is hard to cover for.
Room was clean and updated. Good location close to freeway. Average breakfast just as good as any chain. Nice clean built in pool. Very affordable price to stay here. This makes me want to look for more best westerns when I travel. I will return.
I have stayed at this hotel several times over the years. The quality of my stays is always great. Room is always clean and comfortable. I wish there were access to a few more television channels. All of the staff are pleasant, friendly and extremely professional whether at the front desk or part of the housekeeping or breakfast teams. Breakfast is the best I have encountered over the years at this level of hotel. Looking forward to my next stay.
Most pleasureable stay exceptional staff excellent location a really nice place to stay plan to come again very good location and I would like commend management and staff for treating guest like family
While traveling the wife and I opt for a clean, friendly, comfortable lodging over the price of a room. This Best Western in Goodyear met all of our needs but loved the walkout sliding door from our room to the grass area to walk our pets. We also enjoyed the comfort of the bed... The breakfast offered was equally as good as some larger hotel/motel chains we've stayed and much much better than the cheaper motels that offer the same. We will stay there again!!! Excellent staff and service.
This is an average hotel with courteous and helpful employees. The breakfast was the usual, decor was very nice. The hallways need to be cleaned. Pool was very nice and clean. The hotel is easy to drive to off the I-10.
The room had several issues: 1. A bathroom door falling off its hinges. 2. Air Conditioning barely working. 3. A refrigerator that was hotter inside that out. The staff did little to correct any of the problems. In the beginning they only offered to get us a bucket of ice for the refrigerator. In the end they offered to move us but we were so exhausted from the drive we just crashed. When we checked in we inquired about a room for the upcoming NASCAR Race. After our experience the room was not worth $80.00 much less $260.00 on race weekend.
It was a good place to stay, I would stay again. The staff was friendly and the lobby, room and breakfast area was nice and clean. We were visiting family in Surprise and it was not too far away.Would recmoment it.
The staff were all tops. The facility not so much. Had to turn off the AC because it was so noisy (and looks quite old...maybe last upgrade was last century?) The bed was comfortable and the shower hot but everything seemd a bit old and worn out. Not sure if the carpets are dirty or that is the color... I got a good discount when booking, and the staff were frie dly and efficient so not too disappointed. Place def needs a facelift tho.
Clean tidy room, reasonable value. Swimming pool. Has aircon. Near to Goodyear airport. If you have a relative at the airport then call the hotel directly as they have deals which aren't on the website. Breakfast was ok / good. Staff friendly.
This about the fourth time we have stayed here at all visits, with one exception, have served our needs. The hotel is close to many major attractions that we frequent. With Christmas quickly approaching, the city lights of Tollison, Goodyear, and Avondale will be an added attraction. There is a pumpkin patch/haunted house function going on now about seven to nine miles from the hotel. Check it out.
Breakfast was good, the rest only average. Looked good, service was OK but nothing special. Carpet was so dirty my feet turned black. When I reported it she stopped checking me out to fill out the cleaning form - could have done that later instead of making me wait.
A very clean quiet and safe hotel, breakfast was more than adequate. Staff, especially the desk clerk, was very helpful and knew the local places to eat and even printed out a map I needed. I'll definitely stay here again and I highly recommend this hotel to everybody.
The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The rooms were clean, beds were comfy, but the Wi-Fi, internet service was awful.! It was intermittent, you would log in and then 3 to 5 minutes later it froze, causing you to login every 5 to 10 minutes of use! So aggravating and frustrating. But, Breakfast every day was outstanding.
Friendly staff. Lovely grounds. Great breakfast. Comfortable and roomy rooms. Under new management and making great upgrades and changes to the rooms and grounds. Shopping nearby. Various types of restaurants nearby. Quick on and off to I-10.
This hotel is clean and the staff is very friendly. Breakfast provides many options. This is a very good value. Bonus: there is a pigeon the size of an average chicken living on the grounds. It is fun to watch.
Our van was vandalized and the front desk attendant knew about it by watching the security tape and didn't notify us. I won't be staying there again I'll pay a little extra to go some where else. Not worth staying here for 100$ and wake up to vehicle vandalized
Basic motel said to be a Hotel did not have non pet room with interior corridors. Which was my sole purpose for staying. Had I not been so tired form travelling that day I would have went down the street. Also tv channels were severely lacking
The staff was great and the breakfast exceeded expectations. There is a new owner and the property is being refurbished. Because of the staff we will stay here again next year, hopefully the facility will have improved.
Felix and Ashly were great to me, they made me fell like I was family. I had been rejected by two other hotels for a room ( I only use cash ). I explained my situation to Ashly and she completely understood, after she spoke to Felix, I was checked in and had a room. I needed to get a room for a job interview. I made it to the interview well rested and comfortable, I was 15 minutes early.
Where do I begin! Son & I stayed here 4 nights. Maid service was bad(had to ask for coffee packets every day). Parking lot was never cleaned(dirty). No one at front desk one night. Broken ice machine for 3 days. Stained carpeting. The cord on the coffee pot did not reach the outlet in lavatory area. I had to put it on the night stand & plug it into the lamp base each morning! This place is totally rundown & should NOT carry the Best Western Plus name!
Continental breakfast is so good. RAELENE is awesome and makes excellent waffles!! Very clean!!! Rooms are nice. Pool is small and it goes to 8ft which you don't get at most hotel pools. Nice small hotel.
This hotel is good enough for just a stay if you have to be in the area. nBVDSf ljwge'dFVUAHGS'DFVHA ROGH s'elhv'orhbv'soUHG'oehf'voihe FOGIhwekfjvb'dfkjghv'oirHG OPViehw'glkvhwDESOIHVBldksbvljsdbGIOVhsbdlvkjn?SLDKJbvosjdbv/ksjdbvkjsbdVIJB
Didn't enjoyed our stay at this hotel. A/C wasn't working. The room was clean & cozy, but wished a/c was working properly. Management needs to invest on maintaining hotel, if they want people to stay.
I spent the night here when my AC at the house went out and needed a cheaper place to spend the night with my dog to get out of the 115+ temps. First up, the location is convenient and the property was well taken care of. Obviously, they were pet friendly and the room was large enough to be able to set up my dog crate easily. Overall, the room was well kept as well, although some stains on the bedspread were very unappealing. The room could use an update for sure. The breakfast was good and the space large enough it was enjoyable. However, when I arrived after making an online reservation I had to wait in the lobby for 20 minutes waiting for staff to show up. I'm not sure what was going on, but by the time they got back there were 3 people waiting in line. They were polite once they got back, but this was an extreme time to be away considering it was prime check-in time at around 7-7:303pm.
Our room was excellent in every way: clean, comfortable and cool as my A/C had gone out in my home in Goodyear. From check in to check out everything was perfect. The breakfast was excellent, lots of choices, clean dining room and our breakfast attendant, Raelene was very attentive, accommodating and friendly. She made us feel right at home. Very friendly staff, clean and close to everything. I highly recommend this Best Western in Goodyear. Close to groceries, fast foods, great restaurants, and gas stations within 5 miles or less. It is also away from the hustle and bustle of Phoenix which is close enough if needed apx. 30 miles away. Also an excellent place to stay when attending Diamond Back Baseball, Cardinal Stadium for football and Nascar is the closest just a few miles away. Make your reservations way early for these venues as all accommodations fill up quickly!
This hotel was perfect for my work at the Goodyear airport. The staff was friendly and offered just the right amount of service to keep me adequately supplied with wash clothes and clean towels yet with the respect of maintaining my privacy. The breakfast was delicious with hot eggs and cold cereals with a good variety of fruits. I'll certainly stay here again.
There was nothing fancy, but it was fine to sleep. The pool wasn't always open because they shocked it in the morning. It should probably be done at night. When it is 120 degrees outside, it would be nice to use the pool.
My husband and myself always stay at the Best Western Hotels for the fact that the have good costumer service clean rooms they are animal friendly with awesome non smoking rooms for those who wish not to smoke We have always been accommodated per our request with kindness and respect
Excellent place to stay for business or pleasure. Plenty of places to eat and shop in the surrounding areas. Only minutes from Phoenix and glandale Arizona. I will definitely stay at this property on my next visit to Arizona.
Visiting family in the Goodyear Area. Have stayed at this property before and enjoyed and found it comfortable and relaxing. Near shopping and freeway. Room was clean and very affordable. Breakfast was basic - but good.
Close to our event location. 1st night! Tired from our 5 hr drive, We waited for approx. 20 mins at the front desk, waiting for someone to show up! Kept shouting Hello! No one came, finally called the hotel #, young lady answered told her there were several of us waiting to check in, she showed up a short time later! Finally get to our room, bed was comfortable, and clean, room looked ok! After showering, walked barefoot on carpet, my feet were black, had to wash feet in tub and wore shoes the rest of the weekend! Carpet is very, very dirty! Needs cleaning or maybe take out and install tile? 2 night! Guests next door had SUV burglarized during the night, window broken and all their belongings were taken! Maybe security walking the premises would be a plus? Will reconsider staying here again!
This hotel was a good value for the money. The breakfast was great! The pool is nice, with a deep end and a shallow end. There are nice chairs around to enjoy the outdoors. The rooms had everything we needed.
We stay here often when attending events on the West side of the valley or coming home from California. Good place to stay while passing thru. Clean rooms and a nice breakfast to get you started each day.
Very enjoyable stay. Lovely hotel. Very clean and comfortable! Beautiful and restful pool and patio area. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a good variety and very good! Highly recommended!
Stopped here on way to and from Temecula California from Las Cruces, NM. Didn't think much of it at first, but when I entered the room was surprised by its size (huge) and how comfortable it was. Sliding back door opened onto secluded grassy area and pool...just lovely. Enjoyed each night I was there very much although ice machine was inconveniently located and the place is a bit old. But so what? So am I! Ceilings are low, at least on first floor, so NOT GOOD for very tall folks. Especially the bathroom. But I loved the shower head...never saw one like it before...and the water pressure was great, plenty of it! Can't speak for the bed because I use an aerobed on top of the mattress (bad back). Staff was VERY accommodating...really! Check out time is flexible which was great for me given how tired I was from the drive and how much stuff I travel with. I left a very precious drawing done by my late husband in the room on my departure on my way TO California, remembered that I had not packed it, called the hotel from my car, and they found it and put it in the safe for me til I returned a week later. So nice! And the lovely housekeeper, Angie, who found it for me...a truly kind and sweet woman! Thank you Angie! Thanks to the desk clerks too who were so concerned and helpful. If I go through Goodyear again I will definitely return to this hotel. Sat out by the pool in the evening before it got dark, did my QiGong exercise on the lawn the following morning...it was wonderful, quiet, and made me happy!
Its really loud. Thin walls, thin windows. Very poor sleep. Wifi is really slow and cuts out a lot. Really bad for business travelers. Its cheap, but thats about all you can say good about it. Service was pretty good however. I won't be back and cannot recommend it to anyone.
We enjoyed our stay at this Best Western. The rooms and beds were comfortable, the staff was very friendly and caring. The area around the hotel was always neat and clean. The pool is a nice size. We will return to this hotel again!
Overnight stay while travelling, very good price. Pool looked inviting, was unable to use. Generous breakfast, location conveniently off the interstate. Overall enjoyed our stay for one night while travelling
Our experience at this hotel was wonderful! Everything met or exceeded our expectations. Beds were comfortable, room was clean, breakfast was delicious, and staff were helpful and courteous. We would highly recommend this hotel.
Very nice place with friendly staff. Nice clean room with good amenities. Very close to shops and a lot of restaurants. Close to fwy and to the area we were interested in going to. Really enjoyed the stay and will probably stay there again
We had a large group for the Indy Car race in Phoenix booking 5 rooms. The hotel is close to the race track so we were able to commute with ease. The staff was very helpful and eager to accommodate our needs. Besides our little Westie, I notice several other little dogs at the hotel, very nice when traveling with these little ones. Breakfast every morning with many other race fans included sausage patties, scrambled eggs, & waffles. Room was clean and beds comfortable; large enough to accommodate after race group in room. Pool area large and clean. This hotel has been here for many years, but they keep it up to Best Western standards.
stayed at hotel, room was not done early, did get phone call an hour later, was very noisy, price pretty high type of quality of room, would not recommend to any of my friend or family, the area is great because not far from freeway
to start the staff here was out of this world. They all went out of their way to make our stay with them feel like home. the grounds were exceptionally clean and well taken care of. Thank you to front desk staff for all you did while my boyfriend and I stayed at your place of employment. Alisha and Ashley you deserve an award for friendliness :)))
Thank you for your hospitality during our recent stay! Everyone was so helpful and friendly. We felt very welcome and should we need to return to Arizona, we will definitely be staying here!! The rooms were cleaned daily, the breakfast was great, and the area was well kept.
After a long day driving from LA,another Best Western hotel has been a pleasant find. The rooms are large and clean, with a very comfortable bed.We also had a nice outlook onto the pool area. For our overnight stop,we couldn't have asked for more, there is very convenient parking and good wifi, which are both very important on a driving trip across America.
We stayed during the Final Four. We checking in late and found ourselves repacking and standing in the hall waiting for them to bring us a key to a new room since our room was lacking electricity on one side. The hallways were not vacuumed the entire six days we were there and debris just kept accumulating. The water went out to most but not all of the hotel early Saturday (not that there was much water pressure before that). They told us it was a city issue. It may, or may not, have been. What made it so terrible was the way it was handled. They never communicated with us. I had to ask for a discount the first night, they did not offer one. They never offered to help find a different hotel in the area or told us that it would last until Tuesday (still no water when we checked out). We were led to believe that it was being addressed. Only after asking after several days without water they told us they had a "sister" hotel 15 miles out of the way. They arranged for all the guests to shower in few rooms that had water. This meant carrying all clothes and toiletries outside and across the yard to shower - if there was a shower available. I asked the weekend night desk clerk for towels and shampoo since there was none in the room and she gave me all sorts of attitude about why I didn't think to bring that from my room also. The manager was apparently away and the "assistant" manager was useless, when she was there. I called the national Best Western line to see if they could try to reaccomodate us in the area and they were also useless, mainly because they couldn't get the assistant manager to answer the phone to get an update on the situation. The one day we tried to relax by the pool, there were no towels at the pool to dry off with. Most of the hotel was filled with FInal Four folks so we were all checking out Tuesday morning. The weekday night clerk (who was the only friendly person there) was trying to keep track of the "bathroom rooms" and clean them in between guests (at least she did stock them with towels and soaps) while checking everyone out. Apparently the assistant manager made the decision not to put extra housekeeping on staff to assist. People were waiting 45 minutes to shower while trying to get out of town. When we tried to check out at 7:30 the rates were not adjusted in the computer and we had to wait for the assistant manager who when staff tried to call her and beg her to come in early told them to tell everyone to "just wait." An hour later she wandered in. She was willing to adjust the rate (not nearly enough) on a few nights, but insisted that Monday night, since it had a lower rate to begin with, would only be adjusted $10, despite still not having water in the rooms. Overall, I would never recommend this property to anyone. It is an embarrassment to the Best Western chain.
Only stayed one night. Everything was just ok. Went out elsewhere for breakfast. Not much else to stay about it. We were visiting family in an RV park that didn't have a guest room. It isn't how much you say it is what you say!
Friendly staff , the hotel was very clean and organized. The breakfast was great. We didn't have water to shower but they were very but they communicated it before I checked in and offered free cancellation or discount. Glad I decided to stay
Stayed 2 nights room and halls were never vacuumed. Room and hallways smell. Carpets are filthy and need to be shampooed. No hot water. No water pressure. No one could give accurate answer to when problem would be fixed.
My husband and I were generally very happy with this hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with a standard mini-fridge and microwave plus a small table perfect size for 2 to dine at. Breakfast was pretty standard for this class of hotel, tasty and fresh. 'Office area' had a desk and comfy chair right-sized for my laptop. Didn't use the pool but it looked good. We had a room near the back of the property which made it generally very quiet, but there is a nearby airport so we could hear the occasional plane passing over. I had one problem, the internet access was unreliable one day - they evidently were having problems with it. But they were very apologetic and gave me a discount on the room rate because I had difficulty doing some of my work because of the problem, though I was able to do what I needed by using the computers in their lobby. Overall I would recommend this hotel, the staff was very friendly and helpful.
Room was simple and clean. The rooms are accessed from the outside. You can drive right up to the room. We were on the second level. The parking was a bit secluded at night. We noticed a pawn shop next door. The price included breakfast which looked good however we didn't eat there. The place was packed with people there for spring training. Overall it was a clean decent place for a couple nights stay. It's not fancy. Not bad.
The suites cost more but are not worth the extra money. We booked one thinking it would help everyone sleep better and the sofa pull out was terrible. We ended up downgrading and having to call and wait on hold for an hr to get the difference refunded.
We came down for the Nascar weekend. This hotel is older but clean and and it was so convenient and comfortable. Nice staff, great morning breakfast and the pool area was clean and relaxing. Would defiantly go back.
This Best Western is located only 5 miles from the Phoenix International Raceway. An outstanding managed hotel with all the amenities of a luxury resort. An outstanding staff that includes an all-star manager. Please do call and ask for her and she has excellent customer service skills. The breakfast, WIFI and accommodations are outstanding. The price is very fair and I look forward to my next visit to this Best Western hotel.
Seems kinda on the distressed side. It looks like they've tried to make some improvements to the property, but overall it's looking very worn. The pool looks cloudy and I can't smell the chlorine. So, I won't be getting in the pool. I'm also not too sure how clean this place is kept. Room smelled musty upon entering. Bathroom is door about to fall off. Usually not too much of a picky person, and I don't review very much, but this place prompted me to do so as a warning for others. I booked this through Southwest Vacations and I'm not impressed. You definitely get what you pay for in this instance. This is not a bargain. Disappointed. ?? The girl at the front desk was nice though.
A great place for dogs. We stayed in single story building with sliding glass door to a large grassy courtyard. Courtyard enclosed on three sides. Couldn't ask for a better arrangement! Nice breakfast area and staff.
I've stayed here a few times, making the run from L.A. back to Colorado. It's well maintained, just close enough to I-10, and quiet. For the free Wi-Fi and breakfast, it's a steal of a deal! Again, I wish I had reason to stay a few nights and enjoy the pool and some other amenities!
No comment Have problems with Bath towels Need to take shower before our family visit. Towels were deliver after went my friend room came to my room and towels were hanging at front door little to late . Overall we enjoy our stay thank you. I won't mind stay at your hotel next time
This Best Western Plus is clean but a mite worn. The on site restaurant and bar is permanently closed. The room was large and had a table as well as a desk. Enough plugs accessible for charging phones and laptops. In 131, the room with toilet and tub was small and had a ceiling too low for those taller than about 6'2'. The room had a microwave and mini-fridge. Free breakfast, free WiFi, free and ample parking.
Very happy with my stay. Great room.. "Booked a suite"... Easy to find... right next to the highway. Clean, well maintained rooms... Very friendly staff... Grounds and guest areas were well taken care of.. Outdoor pool was good... Front desk staff were very accommodating... I would stay there again.
We stayed at this hotel to save some money. It was okay and the staff was friendly, but the room had a slight odor and there were lots of flying bugs around the property that came into the room. The shower head was adjustable and every time I moved it, it would spray water to the side. I did report it when I checked out.
We selected this hotel at the last minute, based on its location and laundry facilities. Arriving at the room, only one bed had decorative pillows, making the room look unbalanced. Not a big deal. The chain lock on the door was broken, a bigger deal, and neither of the hallway doors to the outside were locked, though there were key card readers, much bigger deal. The hallways were stifling, they weren't air conditioned, which is probably why the room didn't seem to cool down as expected. Getting around is difficult with handi-capable guests as there are steps up to the front desk, breakfast area and other facilities. Arriving late, we looked up the laundry information in the rooms amenities binder, to be ready early the next morning. Binder states $1 to wash and dry. Imagine my surprise when I got up early to find that the washers were 1/2 load sized and $3.20 each 1/2 load? Had to get the family up and drive to local laundromat, where I spent $5 rather than the $12-15 it would have been here, though more convenient. The breakfast was good, the people were unfailingly friendly (maintenance, front desk, breakfast lady), hotel appeared to be clean (other than a bug in the bath), but hotel itself may be on downward slope.
I ALWAYS PLAN MY STAY HERE!! peaceful and fun... we bring friends and tons of kids for the pool.. everyone has a great time..i will be back as long as i have family in Goodyear. BEDS ARE Clean..I will be back
Phoenix in August is hot! The room we had at this hotel was nice enough, but it seemed like the air conditioning unit had to work overtime to keep the room comfortable. The hotel is a bit tired looking, but the breakfast was good and varied.
This is my third time staying at this Best Western and the first time I have been disappointed. It was 110 degrees that day and the pool felt like a sauna. I realize it is listed as a heated pool. However, wouldn't it be prudent to save energy and NOT use this feature during summer months? Defeats the purpose when you're sweating when you get out of the pool!! Just a suggestion. Additionally, the bathroom had bugs (not certain what kind-not ants) in the sink, on the counters, and in the bathtub. We had to rinse them out before my grandson could take a bath. No bathmat either. Just used a towel.
Great price for this hotel. When the temperature goes up the price goes down. The pool area was very nice, good tables. Breakfast was very good. Room was very quiet. We have stayed in several 2 star properties in Goodyear when we come to visit family. This was the nicest one, and the service was very good. I appreciated the quality of the outdoor furniture. Nice place to enjoy a morning cup of coffee.
This place is close to being downright shabby. The pool was not inviting because it appeared to be cloudy. There is an adequate exercise room, but no sign to identify it. The garbage can were full and papers blowing around the parking lot. On a positive note the bed was very comfortable and the breakfast tasty and complete. The staff in the breakfast room was great, too bad there wasn't the typical tip jar. Another staff to be complimented was Ashley who was able to manage a busy check in situation.
Nice motor inn type hotel. Restaurant was closed down when I stayed. To bad. More characters are needed Will type nonsense as typing repeated letters did not work. Just a few more to get to 200. Made it
First room we were issued was skipped by housekeeping, apologies and a new room and all was OK. Since this was a road trip we had our own pillows, with my own pillows I can tolerate just about any bed. Beds were decent, a/c was kinda small for room size, room size was decent but had a slight off smell when first entering but was not overly bothersome, totally acceptable breakfast with hot and cold choices. We left my son's ATV power wheel toy strapped to roof and it was fine. Overall was right price at 77+tax for our one night road trip stay
I had two more pleasant accommodations at this hotel. Easy check in/out and the breakfast is consistently good. No issues always make for easier travel. The pricing is reasonable which is also a plus. I highly recommend staying at this facility.
Came in late for just a few hours with a small child and staff was initially welcoming, but nothing that stood out. Went into the room, it was old and smelled old. There were vomit stains on the mattresses and spiders and roaches on the beds. Upon checkout I was told it was the weather. I am not sure if that is true, but I certainly felt cheated and uncomfortable. I would not stay here even if it were free!
I highly recommend this hotel. The rooms were very clean. There was a full hot breakfast. Checking in and out was very easy. No problems. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful. It is in a great location just off I-10. Nice quiet neighborhood. Places to eat close by. Very good value. I will definitely use this hotel for future visits to the area.
This property is within 5 minutes of numerous dining venues to choose from. Comfortable room, needs an update. Friendly professional staff. Easy access to freeway and some shopping. Disappointed the Grub and Pub wasn't open.
Spent three nights at the Best Western while visiting friends at the end of our vacation. Nice location with lots of restaurants and other amenities in the area and easy access to I-10. The outside may not wow you, but inside it is nice. Room was the largest we had while on a two week trip to the southwest. Comfortable beds, clean room, good service, nice staff and a better than average breakfast. The breakfast lady was extremely helpful and very friendly. We did not try the pool, despite the arrival of triple digit temperatures, as we spent most of our time with friends, and in the air conditioning.
The rooms were clean and well maintained. The only problem I had is the remote to the tv wasn't working. Upon check out, Steve was there and I think he does maintenance and said he would take care of it. They both deserve a raise!
The hotel was decent. The employee we first spoke to when we checked in late at night was AWESOME. Very freindly and ready to help with anything. The employee who works the breakfast area is a sweetheart. I would stay again if I needed a place in that particular area. The rooms were clean and the price was right. It was comfortable and it was close to the freeway which was a big plus since we had to trave from baseball field to baseball field.
This place has wonderful rooms, very clean and comfortable, and there's a lovely patio and garden area to soak in the sun or eat breakfast at in the center of the complex. I enjoyed a nice warm breakfast outside on the patio. Yes in January! ! It was a beautiful day. And yes they offer a great hot breakfast with eggs, sausage, etc. If you are in the Goodyear area, this is a very quiet and enjoyable place to stay. The staff is friendly and welcoming also.
Coinciding with our visit were teams of young men baseball players. The boys were all nice but of course a little loud and very hungry consuming quickly the breakfast offers as soon as they were laid out. Raelene was in charge of the area for the two mornings we were there. She was fast and fantastic. She replenished the food and cleaned up the spills in no time and always with a nice smile on her face. She helped me get up to the front of the line when it really was my turn. You are very lucky to have such a competent employee working for Best Western Goodyear. She certainly got us started off on the right foot each morning. Thank you so much Raelene. Renee Milburn
A good quality hotel room for the price. BW beds are almost always very comfortable, and this place was not an exception. The pool is very nice and goes to 8ft deep (i hate those 5ft pools, can really swim in 'em).
We had a nice quiet stay for two nights. We were given a complimentary upgrade that was much appreciated from Ashley. The shampoo and conditioner were Pantene products. Many hotels provide cheap products that don't even lather. Breakfast was good. Housekeeping did an outstanding job. There is nothing that could have been better. Great stay.
when I was checking In I've noticed that the clerk saw something weird on her computer but didn't told me anything, so I got worried. When I got to the room I found out what it was (see point no. 1): 1. reserved for a 2 queen bedroom and got 1 king size bed ann a rollout bed... 2. The hallways were completely filthy and the smell of cigarette was obnoxious. 3. The Bathroom extractor didn't extract anything.
Older hotel, but quiet and everything was clean, comfortable and worked well. Convenient to shopping and dining, and neighborhood appears to be nice and safe. Desk clerk was very accommodating for the type of room I said we preferred. We had to check out of the hotel very early, so cannot offer any judgment as to quality of the free breakfast.
I want to thank Ashley at the front desk who resolved a problem we had while staying at the Best Western. Our air conditioner was not working properly and it was a long, warm night in Phoenix. When Ashley discovered that we had not been given an alternate room, she credited us for our night's stay. We were pleased with this great example of customer service!
I stayed here twice (April 22, going to CA; and then on April 30, going back to NM). I called a day before staying there (April 21) and spoke with Ashley, who was very nice and gave me a great deal on a room with a King sized bed. She was just as nice in person (when I checked in). The room was on the 2nd floor. (Yay! No people walking above me!) I read a few ratings where some people griped the hotel was "outdated" and needed "upgrading"? What the heck are they talking about? There is nothing wrong with the hotel/inn. There wasn't an elevator to the 2nd floor but that was no big deal, as I hate elevators. The room was very clean. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom super clean. (I am picky about bathrooms.) Nice shower. Very clean towels. Had a nice view from my window (room was right next to a big and old beautiful eucalyptus & a view of neighborhood trees and mountains in the distance). I didn't experience any noise problems. The lawn, bushes, shrubs, and flowers were all manicured. Hotel/Inn seems to be in a good neighborhood. Seriously, there is nothing wrong with this inn. I really enjoyed it and will stay there again whenever I decided to travel to CA again.
Motel was nice and very clean. Very easy check in. All staff were kind and helpful. Had a very comfortable stay. The room was nice and clean and the beds were very comfortable. Clean room makes for a good stay for me and I felt good about the room I stayed in.
This is truly unfortunate how Best Western in Goodyear, AZ and Best Western Corporate handle a major issue. On April 1, 2016 Best Western Goodyear double booked my room. When I arrived at 1:30am, after a drive from San Diego, I was told that my business partner had already checked in and I was given keys to a room. I go into the room to find other people occupying the room. THE FRONT DESK GAVE ME KEYS TO AN OCCUPIED ROOM. I was completely blown away by this. How does this happen? I immediately return to the front desk and find out that the entire hotel is full. Zero attempt to help me find a room anywhere. They just kicked me to the curb. Thanks. I scrambled and eventually found a hotel room after 2:00am, which was a half hour drive away. On April 2, 2016 I contact Best Western Goodyear to be reimbursed for the extra cost I had to pay since Best Western Goodyear double booking my room and left me with nowhere to stay. The manager (Joanie) offers to reimburse me for the night, perfect. Once I arrive at Best Western Goodyear, Joanie makes up a different story to why the room was full and won't reimburse me. I follow up with another the front desk girl for the reimbursement and am notified that JOANIE WAS FIRED. I speak with another manager (Ashley) who offered to not charge me for the night, which is well below the expenses I incurred on April 1, 2016. I've been in continuous contact with Ashley for the past MONTH, she claims to be unable to reimburse me for the additional amount, but another manager (Raj) can. I have called at all different hours and days, to which Raj is conveniently unavailable and Raj refuses to return any calls. Since this hotel is incompetent, I called Best Western Corporate and spoke with Leah, who literally did nothing about the situation. It would seem that a company would be moderately concerned about the security of their guests or helping their guests when left without a room, but apparently Best Western does not employ persons that deem these to be actionable events. To recap, Best Western Goodyear will sell your room out from under you and will not reimburse you for any added costs. If you are lucky enough to get a room, Best Western Goodyear WILL LET ANYONE INTO YOUR ROOM AT 1:30AM.
Our room was clean and quiet even with the location close to a busy road and expressway. We stayed in the enclosed part in the farthest building in the back. The hotel was nearly sold out, but the breakfast foods were kept refilled with hot food hot and cold kept cold. Many selections offered!
Ashley greeted us at check-in and was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast had a variety of both hot and cold options. The rooms were comfortable and clean, but not opulent. The best part for us was that we were travelling with our dog and this establishment has a large, grassy inner court yard that she was allowed to run in and play frizbee without having to worry that she would run out onto the road. This was our second stay, so clearly we thought it was good enough to return. The only downside was that it only had an outdoor pool, and no hot tub.
I had a one night business stay for some training held in the area. The hotel was close to freeway, restaurants and such. I could not enjoy any breakfast since my class started at 6 AM. Would probably stay here again, if needed. That's all I can say.
The dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed in and no one there cared! The room and the hallway looked like they had not been vacuumed in weeks. There were underclothes from the previous guest on the bathroom floor. Disgusting!
A well-worn hotel. Comfortable enough. We were on the way home from Sedona/Cottonwood and needed a place. This one was just fine. Could use some updating but the bed was comfortable and the shower wonderful. We hit the road early so didn't try breakfast. It worked for us.
The hotel is a nice property just next ot a residential area. Its nicely set with several buildings built around a pool area. The rooms are nicely furnished and clean. I enjoyed my stay at this hotel.
Went to spring training to see the Dodgers (my team) play the Giants (boyfriends team). OK place with helpful staff and a nice breakfast and pool. Unfortunately, its like a lot of the Best Western properties in that its fairly old and worn out. Really nothing special - no frills. I felt safe and the bed was comfortable - basic, but all that was needed.
Friendly front desk staff, welcoming decor, clean spacious rooms, good location, delicious breakfast with wonderful variety. Kudos to Raelene in the kitchen and Joni and Steve in the front end. We've stayed twice now and will certainly make this a regular stop on the several trips we make each year to Phoenix area.
Came out for spring training. Great location. Motel also has rooms available with an inside entrance if you do not want outside. Décor was western & nicely done. Clean, attentive staff. Our room was on 1st floor close to pool. We did not experience noise.
This is a great hotel less than 10 min. from PIR. It is very clean and quiet with a friendly staff. The free, hot breakfast is huge with many options. While not real close to the freeway, it is worth the drive. The one downside was that their restaurant was closed. However, there are numerous restaurants within 5-10 minutes from the hotel. Our room had a fridge and microwave.
We came down for spring training and this motel was very close to many of the parks we went to watch games. The pool was heated and open all night. There were many places to eat close by (The Angry Crab) and shopping mall were very close.
placed next to outside door, people had no respect for others going in and out, slamming door, terrible nights sleep due to this, staff was great and very helpful during checkout and any questions we had
For the past 5 months I have spent 4/7 nights a week in a hotel for work, and this one is beautiful, clean and has a condo feel over a hotel feel. The staff was great and Uber is in the area. No complaints!
Room was clean and comfortable. We had a room with a patio door leading onto the grass area near to the pool which was nice. Great breakfast and hostess ensured everything was topped up all the time. Helpful reception staff.
Close to I-10, shopping, restaurants, Goodyear Stadium for Indians & Reds Spring Training. Friendly staff. One of the more affordable rooms during spring training season. Recently updated bathrooms but the furniture is a bit outdated. Plenty of outlets, even near the bed, which is nice. Good breakfast. Well insulated from the noise. No elevator to second floor and outdoor staircases to the second floor. During our stay, the side entry doors were propped open so not the most secure if that's important to you. Good strong internet connection. Basic cable tv with no premium channels, The room has a mini-fridge & microwave in the room. There's only one ice machine which is on the ground floor by the pool so think twice before hauling a big cooler to a second floor room.
Traveled to Goodyear to watch Cleveland Indians Spring Training. Found this facility to be in need of some updates but overall it was clean, the front desk personnel were courteous and the breakfast provided by the Best Western and Raelene were outstanding. It is only a little over 2 miles to the Goodyear field and that is one of the reasons we chose this hotel for our base. You will need a car when it comes to eating out since most restaurants are a little distance from the hotel (2 mi or more). One of the nice things about this room is that it had a "fridge" which was great to keep our water cold rather than running down the hall for ice. Most rooms have doors which open to the outside although there are some which open into hallways. Overall our stay was pleasurable and we would definitely stay there again.
Hotel did not provide a guide in the room to show which TV station are on which channels. I called the front desk and they said "we have those at the front desk." (No one told me that when I checked in 10 minutes earlier). When I asked if one could be delivered to my room, the response was "I'm all by myself up here." If you have the lists at the front desk, why can't you put them in the rooms, where the guests are going to use them? Unimpressed.
The hotel is in good location. It is near the freeway, shops, gas stations & restaurants and as a plus it's near parks and points of interests. The hotel is in a safe well lit area & in walking distance to places in the area. I enjoyed staying here and would recommend staying here. It was clean, came with a refrigerator & microwave. It was quiet during my stay. The continental breakfast I thought was delicious & had a variety with fruit and yogurts. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean. The decor was a bit out dated, but not too bad. I would stay here again.
With so much going on my husband nor myself checked the closet when packing up to head back to Wisconsin. Thankfully after we checked out we spent the day at my son's house about 10 minutes away. I received a phone call from the hotel letting me know we had left many things in the closet and they bagged it all up for us and my husband ran back to pick it up. They went the extra mile and for that we are very thankful! We will definitely use this hotel again! We had a very good experience. Very good breakfast in the morning. We enjoyed our time by the heated swimming pool and the location was perfect for us.
This is the first time that my wife and I stayed at this location for spring training. It is a great location to see teams on the west side of Phoenix. The rooms are clean and the staff is very friendly. Joni is the person at the front desk, she was very helpful attending to our needs from places to eat as well as printing out our boarding passes. Also Raelene, she is the lady who was in charge of the complimentary breakfast. Raelene made sure that everything was kept stocked and she kept the tables clean. There needs to be a tip jar available for this lady. She well deserves one. The pool area is nice but it does not have a hot tub. We are planning on staying here again.
This is the second time I have stayed here. It is a nice and covientent hotel for the prepose of my stay. I plan to stay there again when I return next season. I use this hotel every time I come to Goodyear, AZ. Great place and location.
We stay here for the NASCAR weekend. Rates are more than double the normal price, which we have come to expect, but, this location has not updated the rooms for quite some time. No restaurant or bar is open on the premisses. Beds need replacing, hot water trickles out when trying to bath, dressers have broken handles, or are extremely hard to open and close. We have stayed at this location for about the last 18+ years, not sure we will be going back.
I stay in hotels all the time and the best part of this hotel is its location. Other then location it does not have a lot going for it. The beds are stained and uncomfortable, their is water damage and mold, and the breakfast is not good. Our stay was also very overpriced and not enjoyable.
Rooms are clean. Pool area is big and has a lift for anyone who has a handicap and wants to get into the pool. Breakfast buffet is average, but the same every day. Check in is at 4:00 p.m., and not any sooner. Location is close to shopping, baseball and Phoenix International Raceway. Bar and restaurant were closed again this year so be careful if you are expecting to have a hotel with a bar and restaurant. You will be very disappointed.
We spent four nights at the Best Western in Goodyear, AZ and couldn't have been happier with our stay. We were there to watch a little Spring Training Baseball and chose the hotel for the convenience of being close to the ballpark. Ashley helped with my reservation when I had initially called and was very friendly. The young lady at check-in was very helpful as well. We didn't check in until after midnight, however, she made sure we were able to get a rollaway bed and even delivered it herself! Raelene at the breakfast area was also very friendly and accommodating and greeted us each morning. And Joni helped us with a smooth check-out and thanked us for our stay. We'll see you again in a couple of years!
We stopped in at the Best Western the night before going to watch in "Good Sam" NASCAR 500. We stopped for a nights stay at this relatively small, unobtrusive, neat and clean motel with a great staff. We left for the race ,relatively rested and with smiles on our faces. Thank you Best Western. Eric and Joyce MacFarland P.S. Do they have Best Westerns east of the Mississippi ? Ha Ha
Wonderful room. Clean and smoke-free! Heated pool a plus. Good breakfast. Second trip staying here. Will stay here again. Would be perfect with a Jacuzzi! A lady on staff actually helped me with my bags to the 2nd floor. Way beyond normal service.
Bland exterior in so-so neighborhood. Great front desk personnel. Typical BW breakfast fare. Our lower level room had exterior entrance and parking at front door. Sliding door to an open grassy area. Unleashed dog roaming around. Gardner's working at 8:30 in the morning. Room however was very quiet at night. Executive airport is nearby. Great location near shopping and dining by I10. Thought the rate was a little high for the BW. Plenty of other BW choices around the Phoenix metroplex. In spite of my critical review I would return to this BW.
I have stayed at this Best Western three times in the past two years and find it to be a good hotel and pet-friendly, with a large grassy area between buildings for the dogs and convenient patio doors opening onto this area. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Pet rooms do not smell and are kept clean. This latest trip I noted that a couple of maintenance items I cited in a previous trip a month ago had been attended to, for the most part, which was reassuring that reviews were being attended to. The room carpeting is starting to show its age in walking pathways by the doors, and water volume in the shower is sometimes "iffy", but bathroom and bedding is clean and if extra towels or such items are needed, they are given cheerfully. The property is quiet at night and I feel safe if I need to walk dogs on the property at night. I do wish that something could be done about the grassy areas regarding upkeep--the sprinkler system doesn't seem to work and the condition of the grass is spotty, sometimes green, mostly brown/weedy along the street side. It would enhance the appearance of the property if it were watered regularly and mowed/trimmed. Parking is very ample. Pricing is high but the pluses offset the minuses for a woman traveling alone with pets, plus my stays have coincided with Spring Training for baseball, so rates are raised, I realize. The restaurant is still closed--wish some kind of coffee shop would open there, but there are so many others on Litchfield Road nearer the freeway that one does not starve, but having something on site would be a convenience.
We've stayed here twice for spring training for the Cleveland Indians. It's very convenient to the ballpark, clean, and the staff is very friendly. Kudos in particular to Raelene, who governs the morning breakfast. I hesitate to let everyone else know about the place because I'd hate for it to become an overpriced place because of the popularity. The only down side, I suppose, is the wiFi is not real solid, which wasn't an issue since we use data for security anyway. On the particular plus side, taking the coffee and breakfast out to the patio is a delightful start to the day.
Nice place, nice visit. But watch your bill. I was charged for two nights when i only stayed one night. I didnt discover it until many months later. Pretty dirty thing to do when one is grieving. But i guess business is business. I will never stay at another Best Western again.
I didn't expect much from Best Western beyond bare bones essentials. They didn't deliver on that. The drains were slow, house keeping was shoddy, the wifi was unreliable, my towels were dirty, and the desk staff were rude. My colleague had to fix her own toilet because maintenance couldn't be bothered to come fix it.
wonderful breakfast, hot food, very clean and always stocked. Someone on duty to clean up tables and keep the food counter neat and full. Raelene in the breakfast room was wonderful. Problem with the toilet in our room not flushing, someone immediately came, but did not adequately fix the issue.
Due to other arrangements falling through, I stayed a couple night at the BW. Everything was great. Quiet, accommodating, plus the breakfast was great. The shower was a tad light, until I turned the head and then the water came blasting out. Stayed hot for quite awhile too. The girls at the front desk were nice. I know they were bored, but they were still helpful and nice. Great stay all the way around
We stayed for four nights, checking in late on a Friday. Ashley at the front desk was very friendly and helpful, making suggestions for various restaurants. The King Room was very large with two desks and chairs, a dresser with a flat screen TV and a hutch that held a mini fridge and a microwave. Hair Dryer worked well. The bed was very comfortable, much better than what we have at home! We were on the bottom floor, so we had a sliding door that looked out over a grassy area. Shower worked well, toilet worked but had a high squeal when we or other people used the toilet. We thought the breakfast was fantastic and Raelene deserves the accolades that she has received from other reviewers. Breakfast ends at 9:30am and one morning we got there around 9:00am. My husband noted that the scrambled eggs were almost gone. He turned around to get some milk and there was Raelene right behind him with a FULL tray of fresh scrambled eggs!! We would have hot tea, milk, juice, waffles, hot fresh soft (not rubbery) scrambled eggs, sausage, cereal and English muffins. They also had apples and oranges. We would get filled up on breakfast and have a full day of hiking and not have to eat until we got back to the hotel to get cleaned up for dinner. Great AAA price. Couldn't find the HBO channel, so maybe they don't have it anymore. Regardless, if we are in the area again, this is the place we will be staying. HIGHLY recommended!
Nice clean Hotel a few blocks off Interstate We stayed here for three night at the end of our trip to Arizona. There are lots of things to do within easy driving distance. The included breakfast was good but on the three days we were there it was the same, would be nice to see a variety on different days. Don't get me wrong the food was good and fresh each day. All the staff were great everyone was professional and friendly. Our room was tastefully decorated and clean, with comfortable beds. We would recommend this hotel for anyone. Remember to use any available discounts and this is a good value.
It was clean, comfortable, looked and smell great. Had many features and I didn't get to use them as I only stayed one night. And a delicious hot breakfast. Easy check in/out. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone heading to this area.
The good: the Pet rooms don't smell, access to a grassy area for the dogs is easy, the staff is very friendly and efficient, and they get extra points from me for helping me get an extra night when I'd botched my reservation. The average: the room I had has been redone, but needs better maintenance - drawer pulls came off, slider didn't run on tracks freely, bathtub had chips out of the porcelain. Furniture didn't fit in room well (chair didn't slide under desk). Bedding is great and linens are nice. Coffee service is adequate, but I counted on the nearby Starbucks for real coffee. There are good restaurants nearby, so the location is really great. I think the place is a little pricey - but I was there during Spring Training, so all Phoenix area motels pump up their room rates. I've rated the value as very good because of the amenities, service, and comfort. I'd stay here again. For my purposes, being located west of downtown Phoenix was super!
I would give this hotel at least 4 1/2 stars, only because the parking was not located where I could see my vehicle from the room. As for the service I received at the front desk (Ashley), it was an absolute joy to interact with someone possessing such a great attitude being attentive and courteous. The room itself was immaculate with a sort of santa fe charm to it. Overall a very delightful visit, I would recommend this location to anyone.
Easy access to interstate, helpful and friendly employees. On the west side of Phoenix so a great choice for avoiding rush hour traffic and heading west (or south in our case to Organ Pipes National Monument and Ajo).
Getting relief from a noisy, busy Interstate is, in itself, a 'holiday'. The hotel is close to yet far enough away from the Interstate 10 on the western side of Phoenix. Comfortable rooms and a well stocked breakfast along with pleasant grounds suitable for children, refreshes one and the day looks like you can enjoy it. I recommend this if you want to relax and have a great meal at one of the many close by restaurants.
I was disappointed because they did not honor my credits for a free stay. I had the confirmation with me and showed it to the young lady. Since other BW have honored the letter have given me credit I was annoyed.
I have been staying at this hotel for business trips for many years now and it seems to be in better shape than ever. The breakfast area is clean and the food is fresh. The rooms are spacious & clean. I highly recommend it.
We needed a clean and comfy place to stay near the University of Phoenix Stadium. Best Western Phoenix Goodyear Inn definitely did the trick. It's located within 20 minutes of the stadium. It's clean. And it has a good breakfast. The staff was super friendly too.
We wanted to stay someplace close to the west side of Phoenix and not too expensive. The Best Western Goodyear was an excellent choice. It is close to the highway (2 blocks) and close to all kinds of restaurants. They serve a FREE breakfast in the lobby which was very good and convenient. The pool was heated and open. They had a restaurant there, but I don't think it was open. May want to check with the hotel staff. But like I said there are a lot of restaurants close by.
Room was clean, staff was friendly, breakfast was good. Good location with restaurants within walking distance. Both Raelene and Joni were exceptional staff. Joni works the front desk, Raelene kept the breakfast room well stocked and clean!
Rooms were nice, beds comfortable. No bugs. Friendly. Attaching Pub was closed and never opened. After a day of rain, the rooms smelled of cow manure from a neighboring feed lot. The keycard did not work second day and the programmer card machine was malfunctioning. Not cool, but was survivable.
Called for reservation, got there in early evening to check in and it was so smooth - got our room easy access and nice & clean. Bed was very comfortable and breakfast was fresh, lots to choose from. Easy to get to the equestrian center. I would highly recommend this motel.
The room was clean, spacious and had free wifi. The air-conditioner was a little noisy though. The staffs were helpful and friendly as well. Thanks to Ashley for the help during our stay and for the recommendation to Rudy's Tuesday BBQ!
We usually use this location as a sleep over going back and forth to CA. The beds are good and it is usually quiet so you can get a good night's sleep. The location is good with a decent choice of restaurants.
We were coming here for one night. The rooms were excellent - extremely clean, bed comfortable, ground level with real windows to open, little fridge and microwave. The pool looked lovely but it was too cold out! The staff, especially Daniel who checked us in and Raelene in the breakfast room, were super friendly and helpful.
If you are a Cleveland Indians fan like me or a Cincinnati Reds fan this is the place to stay very close to the ball park which is great for the fan in me but also close to restaurants and shopping which is great for the wife. Nice pool to take a dip in after the ball game and also a breakfast with lots of options to get you started for the morning workouts. The employees were all very friendly and helpful
Nice rooms, a decent free breakfast consisting of eggs cereal sausage, toast ,and pastries. They have various juices, and serve both regular and decaf coffee. The rooms are nice with a comfortable bed. rooms have a nice TV with cable, plus a small refrigerator. The bathroom is nice, and we found no issue with cleanliness.
I have never stayed this far west in the Phoenix area and this hotel is a hidden treasure. Lots of restaurants and bars within a 5-10 minute drive. The hotel has a beautiful and protected deck area. The only unfortunate thing is that I don't have any business opportunities in this area.
it was just average. I came for my granddaughters first birthday and just needed a room for one night. I was disappointed with the gym. The bed was really comfortable though, so that made up for the poor equipted gym.
We had a couple of problems after we checked in and they were handled immediately. The breakfast was great with lots of variety to choose from. The staff is very friendly and quite helpful. This location is right near the main highway ( 10 ) and close to all kinds of stores and restaurants. Great place to stay with kids also.
The Best Western Hotel was outstanding in the staff professionalism, rooms being clean, great breakfast, fast internet, overall just a great place to stay when traveling. We really enjoyed our Best Western hotels.
Great beds and breakfast. Price was average but others we traveled with stayed at a less expensive place and they ended up is a shading area. Older hotel with modern up-dates and friendly employees. We stayed four nights and would stay again.
In spite of it being advertised as such, there IS no restaurant/lounge on site. This was very frustrating as that was one of the main reasons we booked this hotel. There are a variety of restaurants close by, but if you choose your stays by amenities, this isn't the one. The TV stations were fuzzy. The staff was prompt in trying to address the problem, but were unable to fix it.
Very conveniently located off the I-10 Freeway. Close to Phoenix International Raceway. Free internet service, free breakfast. Nice staff, really nice rooms. Nice landscaping around the hotel. Burger King across the street!
We chose this best western primarily for its location just off the dime, near many restaurants and nearest the area we were visiting. The beds were very comfortable, The hot breakfast was good. The pool was very inviting but the weather just got cool, so sat an enjoyed the sunshine. The staff was very helpful and attentive.
I would stay here again. It was decent for an overnight stay. If we were staying longer, I'd probably try and get a different room, because our bathtub drained way too slowly. We didn't find out until late night, so we just dealt with it since we would be leaving in a few hours. As for the accommodations, this place gets the thumbs up for spare outlets. Apparently they are aware of all the technology people travel with these days. In fact, there were two tables available to work at. Between the two tables, there were at least 10 outlets available. I think the table I was working at was technically a vanity, because there was a mirror mounted in front of it. TV was flat screen and had hook ups in the back, so if you're here for an extended stay, I'd imagine you can tote around your blu ray player or xbox & hook it up (don't forget the cables!). Speaking of the TV, the remote had some note on it that it was ok to sanitize...something about eco friendly and germ-free. Forgot exact wordage, but you can probably call the property to ask whats special about the remote. I didn't watch TV, so I didn't pay too much attention. The room has a sliding door that leads to a grassy courtyard in the center of the property. Since the property is pet-friendly, I would imagine that the grassy area is for pet play. The property does have free breakfast, but I cannot comment because I was so pooped I couldn't wake up on time for it. Check out time at this property is 12pm, which is great. I hate having to leave at 10 or 11 (at other properties), cuz it feels just a little bit too early to wake when I'm vacationing. I was able to book this hotel at a discounted rate through the Hotel Tonight App. If you decide to download the app and check out rates, please use my referral code SSAENZ3. It will get you $25 off your first booking, and it will get me brownie points! ;)
I was working in Goodyear and this is a great place to stay. You can't beat the rates and you get a clean, safe and quiet stay. I didn't use the pool, but it looks very nice and the people in it looked like they were having a great time. The complimentary breakfast was great and there was a variety of food and no shortage on the quantity of each. Ashley, at the front desk, was very polite and helpful!
We left California late and realized we would need in a hotel in Phoenix. So I searched on via phone internet for a hotel in Goodyear. This Best Western popped up. Their website was easy to access and use. I called and was quoted a price. I decided to search around a bit more. Many hotels near by, but price difference was small. Somehow I felt towards this hotel. I called back and the lady was busy checking someone else in. She asked for my name and phone number and about what time I might arrive and told me all would be taken care off. 4 hours later I arrived at the Best Western. It is easy to find. Off I-10, you turn to the right and soon after on your left side is the hotel. From the outside it is hard to judge. But when I walked in, I was happy. The lady had my room ready for us, check in was swift. Mind you this is night time now. She was friendly, kind and worked with me quickly. The lobby looked amazing. Very inviting. Western look. Leather seats and couches, wooden tables with magazines and an elegant water pitcher etc. Not cluttered and really updated. We drove around to park in front of our room. This was unique. The rooms are not arranged like a usual motel. But in buildings and each building has a secured door. Once you enter, you have the rooms next to each other. Some space in between doors. Carpet on the floor. Clean. Smells good. Looks great. The rooms were amazing. They really redid it and it looks amazing. Two nice sized queen beds, beautiful decor , fluffy pillows. nice blankets. Desk, TV cabinet, table, light colors and the carpet was clean. I never walk barefoot in a hotel, but it wasn't stained etc. One vanity sink, toilet and shower in extra room. Fancy shower head. Tiles in the bathroom. Clean. Grout is a bit darker but that is to be expected. Really nice room. Lamps working etc. Hair dryer, coffee maker, closet with sliding doors and mirror. Ironing board etc. Really nice. We loved it. Slept well. Next morning we walked through the building to the lobby. Pool looked nice and clean, gated off. Vending machines available. Breakfast included. The lady who was in charge was amazing. Patient, friendly. wonderful. Waffle maker, some eggs, sausage.. cereal, fruit, milk, juice... it wasn't a huge buffet but perfect. Just enough. No one was hungry and she made sure nothing was ever empty. Muffins, toast, bagels etc. Really wonderful. They played TV and I didn't care for what was showing, but I am not there to watch TV. And it was ok. We returned to the room, packed up and left. A wonderful hotel. The only thing I did NOT like: The restroom in the lobby. Ok. I had never seen anything like this. I send my girls out to use it when they needed. Thought it would not be an issue. So, basically, they have ONE restroom. And when you walk in, there are immediately two areas for the men... in full view... and next to it a stall with door and lock. My girls had never seen it and thought it meant they had to leave the door unlocked. So men could use it. I know.. live and learn. They know better now, you lock the door, No sharing. But it was confusing. I had to go with them and explain it so they understood. So that is the only thing. But other then that. Amazing. Great job, well done. Price? I think all prices have gone up. I would have liked to spent less. But it is Phoenix, and also it was worth it, because I booked it without knowing anything. I worried my money wasn't spent well, but it was. Thank you, I will stay there again.
I was on a motorcycle trip to Yuma, AZ. Took the back roads. Goodyear is a near suburb of Phoenix and hotels are relitively expensive in the area. This hotel is the less costly around. Not bad, but the bar and grill wasn't open.....one major reason for my stop.....and the place was on the edge of shabby.....not terible, but getting there.
If you are in the Phoenix area, I would recommend this hotel. It had a beautiful pool, courtyard and the room was clean. The bed was comfy and the service was great. The hotel was well lit at night as far as safety and I noticed that at the front desk they were watching the security cameras.
Needs a lot of work. Dirty, loud guests, rooms need repair. trash cans were overflowing in the walkways. There was a lot of traffic at all hours of the night. loud guests. There were gnats coming out of the overfill drain in the sink and the toilet would run off on through the night. carpet bwas very dirty.
This property is a good place to stay, clean, comfortable beds, very nice staff. You should be prepared that the property is older. They've updated several things however the structure is older, low ceilings, shower etc. If you're health conscious breakfast options are limited.
The staff is great, the rooms are kept clean and smelling nice, the outside grounds are nice and pretty, the pool is well maintained. I don't recall any time during my stay where I encountered any loud noises or disrupted people. I will always come back to this hotel when I visit Phoenix.
We stayed here because we were going to an Arizona Coyotes game. It's right off 101 and about 11 minutes from the arena. As always the BW staff was outstanding. The place is outdated but clean and comfortable with free Wi-Fi, fridge and microwave.
We were very satisfied with our 3 night stay. Motel was centrally located for the activities we were participating in.Out door pool area was nice to sit at for breakfast and morning coffee. All employees we encountered were friendly and service minded
I was very pleased with the motel I stayed at. It was very clean and well kept. I felt safe and the breakfast was very good. I would be extremely likely to stay at this motel anytime I am in that area.
Have visited Arizona several times over the past year and have stayed at the Goodyear Best Western every time. Staff is awesome, the appearance and upkeep of the property is great. Everyone makes you feel welcome. Pool is clean. Highly recommend.
This hotel is clean and the rooms are very nice. Beds are definitely comfortable. Our rating is Average because the A/C unit was very difficult to control - we either woke up hot or freezing - no in between it seemed. Otherwise a great place to stay...maybe Spring or Fall.
I was looking for a last minute 1 night stay in Goodyear and found Best Western to have the best price with a AAA discount. The 2 Queen Bed room was clean and comfortable and the hotel was quiet. No issues with Wifi. The only slight negative was the adequacy of the AC unit; it did eventually cool the room but it took several hours. The free hot breakfast was basic and what was expected for the price range of the hotel ($75).
