« Good location, average hotel »

We stayed here two nights, on the way to UT and on the way back. Room was decently clean, but not the best. Mattresses were horrible. Though we were told they are slowly renovating so let's hope they get new ones. Water pressure is nonexistent, lowest of just about any hotel we've stayed in. We were there in the winter so can't speak about pools, etc. And, we did not have the continental breakfast. Staff was friendly. If you need something, though, you will have to go get it yourself, they bring nothing to the room (we needed additional towels). Located a very short walk to the gondola in Glenwood. Walk into old town main street or the hot springs is a bit longer but doable, though through heavy traffic areas.

« Very nice and rustic feel »

From the start, it was an easy check in and stay. Located in a residential area and surrounded by beautiful trees. The room was spotless with contemporary decor. Nice playground for kids. Very quiet and safe. Breakfast was quite a bit more than continental as advertised. It was substantial and fresh. Coffee very good. Quick walk over to hot springs and downtown. Wonderfully friendly and competent staff. Added bonus: great yard for dog walking. Will stay here again.

« Hammock bed and beach ball pillows. »

Sleep on a hammock and rest your head on a beach ball. Albeit, this property is undergoing renovations that was not the case with the room we recieved, second floor of the Moose Lodge. I could literally feel the springs in the mattress that I am pretty sure was manufactured sometime during the Nixon administration. Also those cutesy little half pillows were all way too large for any normal person's comfort. Like trying to rest your head on a beach ball. The furnace was so noisy as it cycled on and off I eventually had to turn it off after being woke up by it three or four times, later got woke up by our neighbors coming home from the bar about 1 a.m. The room was tired, the shower water temp required constant adjusting as it was unable to maintain a constant temp, and the vanity sink took a long time to drain. Upside, check in was quick and pleasant. Breakfast presented a nice display of the usual carbs and sugar as well as eggs and sausage. Plenty of seating room for breakfast and a decent cup of coffee.

« Very good but slow internet »

Overall this place is great; beds comfortable, rooms clean, location fantastic, hot tub very pleasant, and breakfast adequate. My only comment is that the WiFi is quite slow and I wasn't able to watch Netflix (which is not a huge problem but some people may need fast internet for work reasons). I would stay here again.

    « nice stay »

convenient location, close to everything, decent breakfast , clean rooms, quite, all staff is welcoming and very helpful, plenty of parking available, room is big , one of the buildings was closed for renovation,

« Good for overnight stay »

Staff was courteous and helpful. Hotel is in the process of renovating and we were given an older room. Chairs and walls were worn. I recommend it is enough for overnight. Breakfast was decent. View is great.

    « 30 years plus! »

I have been going to Antlers Best Western for many years and it keeps getting better and better. The improvements to the motel are nice but the staff makes the over all experience memorable. Sandy at the front desk was so welcoming and made me feel happy to be returning! Looking forward to the next visit!

    5
    « Back again! »

The accommodations at this hotel are consistently great. Sandy at the front desk was very helpful, attentive and welcoming. Unfortunately I cannot say the same for the man on the evening shift. When I inquired where I could get some ice, he pointed towards the back of the lobby and said the machine was just past the swinging doors. The room was pitch black and I couldn't believe it when he didn't bother to turn on the light for me. On a brighter note, when I brought my bucket down the following morning, Sandy was more than happy to fill it up for me. Attitude is everything in hospitality!

    « Constant improvement »

I've been to the Antlers Hotel about six times. It was really good the first time. New owners bought it, and are constantly upgrading everything; the free breakfast, new pool, new year round hot tub that is large, comfortable, and so easily available, great employees, improving the grounds with great private outdoor fire places with chairs. And, they are remodeling every single hotel room at a very high quality level. Plus the dining area has been expanded and upgraded. And, last but not least, the prices are very affordable. The location is very close to two different hot springs locations, and to downtown Glenwood that has great restaurants.

    « Hot Springs »

Awesome rooms and great customer service. I always enjoy the great breakfast at Best Western hotels. The staff was super friendly. The view of the mountains was spectacular! I will stay there again when visiting my family!

« Night clerk needs a remodel too »

This place was ok for most things needed on our short trip to Glenwood springs. Good sized room(we had three queen beds), fridge, microwave and tv's. Breakfast was pretty standard and when they say it stops at 9:30 am they mean it! Doesn't matter that people are still there eating. Anyway, this review is more about the lack of help we got from the front desk at night. He was lethargic and not friendly at all. We had to get a few extra things for our room and it was like pulling teeth. At one point I needed a box of Kleenex and he said he wasn't able to get into the housecleaning closet so I had to take a box from the lobby. It may seem trivial but service really sets businesses apart these days so they need to update their staff 's attitudes while they are busy updating their decor.

    1
« Skip this one for a while »

You are greeted in your room with printed blather from the GM that they are remodeling so be patient. I imagine when they replace the plumbing, beds, lighting and furnishings it will be fine. I certainly hope they remove the red ants that were in our room.

    5
« A good place for quality service and food »

Very clean and pleasant. Rooms were comfortable with good beds. The breakfast was more than adequate. It is a close walk to the downtown area and the hot springs pool. Roms include a microwave so leftovers from resturants can be heated.

    4
« HOT SPRINGS GET AWAY »

We always stay at this hotel when we come to Glenwood Springs. It's just a couple of minutes drive from the Hot Springs Pool so very convenient. The hotel setting is very nice, rooms are warm and inviting. Breakfast is the usual fare, but fresh.

    4
    « Antlers Best Western »

Always a good place to stay when we go to Glenwood Springs. Breakfast was good and employees were friendly. Room needed some upgrades such as a new mattress and the sink was cracked. It was quiet and clean. The hot tub is always working! We have stayed there before and will stay again. Looks as though they are upgrading one building and maybe the rest in the future. Downtown is within walking distance as is other restaurants.

    5
« Spacious room, large bathroom, lots of counter space. »

Spacious king bed room with large bathroom having 2 sinks with lots of counter space. Easy to walk to downtown Glenwood Springs, easy drive to Iron Horse hot springs. Decent breakfast. Room clean and no deodorant smell. We travel with 2 small dogs and last hotel in pricey Aspen had nasty deodorant smell. Good to know this was clean and not nasty smelling. Dogs don't necessarily make a mess just because they walk on all 4s. Some peoples shoes track in disgusting stuff to homes.

    5
    « Great visit »

Wonderful facility. Great staff. Convenient location. I'll be back! I travel extensively for a living. This location was particularly chosen due to its location near the hot springs and related attractions. Best Western is always a first choice for me whenever availability exists. This location ranks very high on my list.

    3
« Nice Hotel Near Hot Springs »

Very good location to the Hot Springs, Walking distance to Hot Springs. The hotel itself was not that clean or comfortable. I heard a lot of noises from outside and other units. Breakfast was average, nothing special.

    3
« Nice room, noisy neighbors, sub par breakfast »

The room was lovely and the staff is kind. Noise from our neighbors kept my partner up late on our one night to getaway from home and children ran past our room early waking us up. Limited tv channels and breakfast was a tad disappointing as there were not enough choices and the quality was not very good.

    3
« Excellent location and setting »

Thought this motel was well-located within Glenwood Springs, an easy 10-15 minute walk into the downtown area. Thought its physical layout was excellent, too. Offer free use of bicycles. Andrew was an outstanding check-in employee (and Aly, too). However, there were many minor annoyances, one of which was an excellent TV in the reception area but lousy TV in the rooms. There was no refrigerator or microwave in the room. There was no refrigerator or microwave in the room. The room looked a little worn, overdue for remodeling. Consequently for me the room was a poor value or put another way, overpriced at $140 for a night's stay.

    « BW Antlers - Always a Treat! »

This was our third stay at Antlers in Glenwood Springs. The hotel grounds are beautifully kept and fit in well with the surroundings. Lots and lots of outdoor community spaces including BBQ pits, playgrounds, and horseshoes. Staff are all wonderful, from housekeeping to breakfast attendants to front desk - everyone is exceedingly pleasant and fun. Glenwood Springs is small but bustling, and Antlers has the best location - close to everything. Breakfast is typical hot breakfast, but the the lobby and dining area are nicely decorated and cozy, with ample seating and even an 8+ person round table under an iron chandelier. We've never stepped foot in the pool or hot tub, as there are more than a dozen hot springs resorts and natural unimproved springs within 2 to 45 minutes drive of the hotel. You can't beat the price for the quality and care in a resort town, especially give its proximity to Aspen.

    5
« Lots of recent improvements! »

We have stayed at Best Western Antlers for years and while it was always OK we were never really impressed. Staff has always been friendly and professional. Our recent stay was a very pleasant surprise as the rooms, lobby, grounds have all been upgraded and they have added two new fire pits on property. Thanks Antlers, we will be coming to stay more often.

    3
« Use of BW points »

Not allowed to use BW points after being told I could. Called directly to the hotel to book the trip, was told I would get 1 of 2 days free when I arrived. Called back twice before I arrived & was told I could do this. Manager advised I cannot do this after I arrived.

« Drug Dealing Outside Our Room All Night »

Thus hotel had only a few people staying at it the night we were there. The staff decided to put everyone side by side by side instead of spacing us out. The 2 girls in the room next to our room were up all night partying and selling drugs from their car. We called the front desk to report this at 11:00 and again at 1:30am and It was at 3:30 am that we FINALLY got the front desk to call the police. Terrible experience.....You plan your vacation all year and to have a night like this is unacceptable! The A/C was so loud that you had to turn up the volume on the T.V. every time the A/C came on. Then, when it shut off, the T.V. was blaring so loud that you had to turn the volume back down. The T.V. was so old that the picture was fuzzy on every channel....We would not stay at this hotel again even if the room was free.....

    1
    « Staff not Friendly »

The microwave was broken and a light. They fixed them. The wifi was not working so the front desk clerk asked me to call the wifi service number on the card. It turned out I had to spend a half-hour reading IP and routing numbers to the wifi service provider. The clerk said they had to reboot the wifi for the whole property. Why didn't the hotel handle it? Why was that my job? When I asked the front desk clerk for an explanation, she suggested I leave a message with the property manager. I did, it has been 6 days and I have not heard back. I called and spoke to them twice. They suggested I leave another message. Today, I called and the front desk person said there was nothing she could do.

    « The Best »

Great location even for walking to shops, restaurants, & fun. Clean room, comfort beds. Staff very helpful with directions & info on sights to see. Hotel has great amenities such as hot tub, pools, bicycles, fire pits, laundry, great full breakfast. We will be back.

    4
« Adequate lodging for the price. Great hot breakfast. »

The guest room was adequate. Relatively clean and well kept. Shower head was not working properly, but we reported that at checkout and the clerk was very receptive. Great hot breakfast including lots of variety. One minor annoyance: bath towels were barely adequate size for drying off.

    5
    « relaxation »

Restful lodging in beautiful location. Staff friendly and helpful. Indoor sauna pool relaxing in the evening. Within walking distance of the Hot Springs as well as shopping and restaurants. Rooms always clean. Breakfast in morning decent and available during reasonable hours.

« Antlers still one of the better properties in Glenwood Springs »

After having stayed at Best Western Antlers every now and then for forty years, I have to admit that it still offers some of the better lodging in Glenwood Springs. The old owners always cared for their travel guests and were courteous and helpful. The new owners who do a good job, have turned over Antlers to a management company which is efficient but lacks that old world family gemutlichkeit(warmth). For example, if you want a certain room, it isn't available. But, the grounds are nice. The pool always warm and wonderful. Antlers is locateds close to the main pool. Rooms are relatively nice with a old rustic look made of mountain logs. A big pricey.

    4
    « reasonably priced hotel »

We were on the road for over 12 hours and needed to find a familiar place to stay. Since we have stayed at the Antlers Hotel before, we stopped and were able to rent a room for the night. The room was clean, good bed, etc. Breakfast was also good, well presented and a big clean eating area. We have stayed at the Antlers before, and more than likely will stay again when in Glenwood Springs.

    « Great place »

Antlers was a great place! Rooms were clean and well decorated with all the amenities one could ask for. Nice breakfast. Comfortable beds and great pillows. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Construction work made it hard to get to the Antlers, but worth it.

    3
    « a bit disappointed »

quality of furnishings about average; no refrig or microwave; sterile; staff were very helpful; lack of enough rooms for the disabled; not very disabled friendly; chilly walk to hottub; doors wide open.

    4
« Value for the location was GREAT! »

The hotel was fairly clean and seemed well maintained. I did enjoy the several "fire pits" around the property. This property has more of a "Condo" type feel than a hotel. The service we received could only be described as excellent or better. Every interaction we had with any staff member was indeed quite pleasant. The were all very helpful and seemed to have genuine concern if they could offer assistance with anything. Thank you for the superior service!

    3
    « Overpriced and Disappointing »

On arrival we received a very friendly greeting and welcome at check-in, a good start to our 2 night stay, and were assigned a ground floor room with parking right outside our door. Very handy for unloading the car. Good sized room with TV, coffee maker, iron and ironing board. Disappointingly, no fridge or microwave. Very comfortable bed with lots of pillows. An extra blanket was provided on request. Excellent wifi reception. Very effective heater/aircon. Very small cold bathroom. Good shower, excellent water pressure and plenty of hot water. 2nd light switch in bathroom controls a heating bulb in the ceiling. It took us until day 2 to find this heater. Towels smaller than usual and rather thin. Breakfast was disappointing. We were advised there would be bacon and my husband was looking forward to a few delicious rashers of bacon and scrambled eggs. The bacon was actually a thin sliced 3 inch circle of pressed bacon/ham? Housekeeping did not service our room - another disappointment, although fresh towels were readily provided on request at reception. Overall, with no fridge, no microwave and no housekeeping service I felt this hotel was overpriced and not up to the usual standard we have come to expect from Best Western. We would not stay again.

« Good base in Glenwood »

This made a good base for our stay in Glenwood ? and being on the north side of the river during the construction work on the new bridge was a huge bonus, believe us! It's walking distance to the Springs, Vapor Caves, Iron Springs, Gondola, restaurants and shops, as well as handy for the bike path. The room was a good size, and clean, but they could really do with investing in new towels ? these were the smallest and thinnest we've encountered on our trips. The pool and fire pit areas were good too. The breakfast was OK, but nothing special (fresh fruit would be nice), while the bin lorry/garbage truck came around at 3.30am one morning, which we could have done without too. Overall, a good stay, and we'd go back.

    1
    « Poor customer service »

Stayed one night in September 2017. A problem with the water supply meant there was no water in the morning when we checked out in the south side of the property. We were unable to flush the toilet, brush our teeth or take a shower. The staff on the front desk could not have cared less and were extremely uncommunicative. Having subsequently tried to express our disappointment privately to the General Manager, we've received no response a week later. While we appreciate sometimes these things happen and are beyond the control of hotel staff, the attitude and concern for minimising the impact on hotel guests is not. They do not seem to have any regard for their guests at all.

    5
    « Excellent property »

Very comfortable rooms, lobby, breakfast area, outside fire pit (!!!!) with plenty of chairs for our group. Nice large meeting area that we used in the evening. Very helpful staff members. Nice pool area. Will definitely be back.

    3
« Good for One Night »

We arrived at the hotel and were met by a very friendly and helpful receptionist. We requested rooms in a quiet location and we were given room 107 in the Caribou block which seemed great....quiet corner opposite the pool.???? The hotel is basically similar to Motel accommodation split between, I think, 4 blocks. Each block has two levels and the entrance to your room is directly from outside. The room itself and the bathroom could not be faulted as there was ample space and both rooms were spotlessly clean. The room had a good tv and A/C but did not have either a fridge or microwave oven. The plumbing system is very noisy or was in our room and next to the room there was a service room for the staff which was very noisy although not during the sleeping hours. The single king size bed was very comfortable and had great pillows. There were also plenty of lights in the room. There is an outside heated pool for adults a a smaller pool for kids together with a covered hot tub and lots of space to relax on the sun beds. There are a few dining places very close to the hotel and the Mexican right across the street is excellent. We were told by the receptionist that a 15 min walk across the river footbridge would take us to some very good restaurants but we did not test her knowledge as we were tired from our long journey. Driving to the restaurants was a major problem due to the major roadworks on the traffic bridge.....it was closed off! Breakfast is served and was the usual American style hotel breakfast. All in all a good place to stay one or two nights!

    3
    « Very average motel. »

Personal pet peeve. If I book a room for 4 people, I expect 4 towels in the bathroom. There were not, and when I made a trip to the office, they gave me pool towels. The outlets were very loose, whatever was plugged in kept falling out. Wi-fi was spotty, as was the hot water. On the plus side, very nice bathroom area with 2 sinks, one in the bathroom and 1 outside. Very helpful with 3 people doing hair and make up.

    5
« Easy access to everything - walking distance »

Its a nice clean little place away from the Grand Ave construction. Across the street from Iron Mountain Hot Springs - maybe a 1/4 mile if that. Breakfast was a nice treat, didn't expect that. Eggs, ham, breads, fruit and yogurt with coffee/juice. Just enough to get into the day. Great staff and guests. Very friendly town and I fully relaxed. Mission accomplished.

  • 2
    « Just ok »

On first glance we were very pleased. Friendly receptionist, great rustic atmosphere and nots of grounds with activities for families if you wanted to use them. We stayed in a king room and my parents in a queen. Both were well appointed, spacious and clean with comfy beds. Where it loses points is the noise. I get that whenever you stay at a motel/hotel that you can get inconsiderate guests, however that was not the case here - simply put we felt like we were sleeping in a tent! We could hear our neighbour cough, blow his nose and even pee! It's like the bathrooms were communal. EVERY sound expelled in them could be heard clear as day. Not to mention the fact that a truck turned up at 3:20am to empty all the glass and rubbish! I was hopeful for breakfast, but again it was just ok. This is the 8th hotel so far on our trip and by far the worst. Even when we stayed in a lodge on main road we had a better nights rest.

    5
    « Enjoy your stay »

Great hotel with clean, comfortable, quiet room, ample variety at breakfast, very helpful staff, and a great location within walking distance to restaurants and shops. The wi-fi was fast and easy to access. Wish we could have stayed longer!

    5
    « Beautiful and comfortable »

Very close to Adventure Park, and lovely rooms (we were in a double-queen room in the building closest to the road, and still didn't hear anything.) The grounds alone are worth the price. But the breakfast was wonderful!

    5
« Good room and a cheaper alternative to Aspen »

We wanted to tour Aspen and opted for the 50 mile ride from Glenwood Springs to Aspen. This hotel is very nice with spacious rooms, a good shower, comfy bed and easy check-in and check-out. Breakfast is typical of all Best Westerns. Construction in Glenwood Springs made it difficult to get around.

    5
    « Very Nice Place »

Beautiful, Park like Grounds. Up to date Rooms with retro Motor Inn feel- Just fells like Vacation, even if you have to work. Rooms are very quite, easily within walking distance to the Hot Spring and Downtown.

    5
« Nice place to land in a cute town! »

We didn't know anything about Glenwood Springs when we chose to stay there on a road trip through Colorado, but we enjoyed the Best Western Antlers enough that we made it a point to go back there later in our trip. Good breakfast, friendly staff, mediocre beds.

    3
    « Nice breakfast »

This motel was very clean and the staff was helpful about explaining how to get to the Spa of the Rockies, which was part of our reason for staying in Glenwood Springs. In addition to the regular breakfast items found at many hotels, Canadian bacon and scrambled eggs were provided. Both items were hot and a nice addition to the selection. Noise from the road and train were noticeable.

    5
« Trip to Glenwood Springs »

This hotel is very cozy and rustic in appearance. The staff are extremely professional, helpful and pleasant. Everyone we encountered greeted us hello and smiled. Each "building" had cute names like "Moose Lodge", Elk, Carabou, etc. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip next summer.

    4
    « Best Western »

This was just another very good experience with BW hotels. they seem to always have clean rooms, comfortable beds (good for my back) and the breakfast was hot, good and plentiful. I did not have to wait for anything. Staff was helpful and directed us to some good day hiking trails.

    5
« Great Place to Stay »

I don't generally stay in motels. However, I made the reservation the same day as my stay, so there wasn't much availability. It turns out, the Antlers is a great place to stay and will be where I stay for all future trips to Glenwood. I loved the landscaping and the cozy outdoor places to relax on the log furniture. The free breakfast was great and had a lot of selection and plenty of tables for everyone. The room was clean and comfortable and had a mini fridge and microwave. Ample parking was available right outside our room. There was a pool and hot tub and they even had a fleet of bicycles that I assume are for guest use, which would be very convenient during the bridge detour. Downtown, the hot springs, many restaurants, and the tram are all in walking distance.

« Pleasant stay at Antlers in Glenwood Springs »

Good location and beautiful grounds. Full breakfast was complimentary. They have bikes that you can borrow at no charge, too. Nice pool and indoor/outdoor hot tub. Convenient to adventure park and iron mountain hot springs. Quiet at night and we slept very well - comfortable king size bed.

    4
« Perfect Hotel for Families »

I stayed here with my almost 3 year old and could not have asked for a better family-friendly hotel! They have a little playground that my daughter loved to visit in the cool mornings and again in the evenings. Their pools are the best I've ever seen for children--a larger 3-5 foot deep pool for bigger kids, a little 2 foot deep pool for young kids, and a very large 3 foot deep hot tub with a bench that goes all the way around it. My daughter was in HEAVEN! Standard continental breakfast with sprinkles and chocolate chips to put on waffles sealed the deal for her. Our room was comfy enough, though they market it as a 2 queen room when in reality the beds are not queens but doubles. My only complaint is the antiquated bath tubs that are both difficult to remember how to turn on and off and sensitive to the water use in the room nearby, meaning the water will suddenly turn scalding hot if a neighbor flushes their toilet. Not safe for a 2 year old, that's for sure! As I don't trust the cleanliness of hotel bathtubs (particularly given the fact that someone else's hair started floating around the tub when I turned the water on), showers were the only choice and there were multiple times that I had to stand in front of my daughter to shield her from the temperature extremes. Aside from that, I would definitely stay here again! It's an easy walking distance from downtown where there are tons of shops and restaurants, the hot springs, and the Adventure Park. There IS a ton of construction going on in the town right now that makes it mildly difficult to get around but it's not terrible. (And of course that's no fault of the hotel. Just a heads up!) Would absolutely recommend the Best Western Antlers!

« Convenient well managed motel »

Larger motel, centrally located and convenient to hot springs pool. Rooms and facilities are clean and well kept. Breakfast had many hot options and family entertainment facilities are available, as well as some nice outdoor sitting areas.

    « Nostalgic stay »

A busy travel time the first week in August and Glenwood Springs was going to be our stopping place for the night. At the peak of the travel season, it wasn't a "bargain." But this was our choice and we were happy with it. To me, it has a nostalgic feel about it, like a hotel during a youthful ski trip or a summer vacation. The buildings are spread out and it was nice and quiet. It is basically an old motor hotel that is well maintained. The rooms are old, but the upkeep is good and our room was very clean. The reception area and breakfast area interiors have been refreshed and are nicely appointed in a "lodge" style. Reception desk person was very friendly. Our room had a nice view across town to the mountains beyond. I didn't like the small "half size" pillows, but that's the only negative thing I remember. Nice large mini-refrigerator with a small freezer compartment for refreshing my cold packs. I like having the sink and vanity outside of the bathroom. Makes it easier to share the space. In this case there was a second sink in the bathroom, too! Breakfast was a nice spread and they even opened it up a little early before 6 am. We would stay here again.

« Would stay here again »

Saw bad reviews for front desk. My experience was just the opposite. We rolled in at 2pm and figured I would just enjoy their pool until check in. I asked a few questions for eating, directions for other events and he fixed me up. Then said he had a room ready. We checked in, went and ate and came back and enjoyed the pool. This place inside and out was very clean and well kept. The breakfast was real good for the typical hotel continental breakfast. Real scrambled eggs, link sausage, ham and all the other extras. They had a gentleman working the large breakfast area and he stayed dead on top of everything. He also makes the coffee and this was the best hotel coffee I have ever had. And I am a coffeeholic. Could not find much wrong and what I did was just my personal quirks. Which amount to about nothing and some nonsense on my part. Nice stay and thank you!!

« NEW WING IS NOT SO NEW »

Grounds are nice. " New wing" is decades old. Beds were good. Upstairs Room was quiet. Overpriced. Better deal to stay at Hot Springs Lodge which includes the Hot Springs. Some mold in tub. Trash on sidewalk; sidewalk needs powerwash. We question the high reviews.

« Good place for the price »

Rooms are clean and the bed was comfy. Breakfast was just okay and the staff was okay. I would not stay here in the winter time. With kids in the summer the park, pool and fire pits are great. We would stay here again but know that the check in time is not until 4 PM.

    « 50th High School Reunion »

When we arrived at the hotel& the lobby was crowded. The train that was suppose to arrive much earlier arrived 3 hours late. The people were not in very good moods but the front desk people handled them very professionally and with sympathy and kindness. I had made reservations well in advance but forgot to mention that I needed a handicap room for my 94 year old Dad. When I called they said they were not sure if they could do that but they made it happen. It was a really nice room. We loved this hotel and cannot wait for a return visit!!

« Gorgeous Hotel, Great Rate »

I had a HORRIBLE time trying to find a hotel at a decent price for my girlfriend and myself to have a ladies weekend, before school was back in session. Places were booked and places that weren't booked were charging way more than we wanted to pay. This place came up and we took a chance and LOVED it. Amazing rooms, beautiful shower, comfy beds, delicious HOT and cold breakfast made fresh daily with a great staff. Lots of room to sit for breakfast so you aren't so close to other people while eating it. Great location to everything you want to do in Glenwood! We will definitely be staying here when we go to Glenwood!

« Great location, nice property »

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Free shuttle to train station was a big help. Room décor was nice (although the artwork did not follow the theme...) Nice pool area and fire pits (wish they could be used longer than 8-10pm) Would definitely return.

« Short trip to Glenwood Springs »

Stayed here one night, good location. Rooms are clean, maybe a little dated with decor. Grounds were well kept, with places to sit, small playground. Breakfast was standard continental fare (nothing extra special, but adequate). We would stay here again.

    « 2 days passing through Glenwood »

Large hotel complex with a very nice lobby, pool grounds. Halfway between Iron Mountain hot springs and Glenwood Springs Hot springs. Walking distance to the amusement park. So just a perfect location. The room itself was fairly standard but clean and quiet.

    « Was not impressed. »

The outside of the property is amazing. But the romm we received was like a closet. I didn't check carefully enough and there was no frig in the room. That is a lick on me, but truthfully at the price we paid for the room I would have thought that standard? It's over priced in the tourist town, I think we will try somewhere else next time if we stay in Glennwood Springs.

« We had another great time. »

The updated rooms were much nicer than I expected. We had two groups and required rooms with more sleeping space and were pleasantly surprised. We have been coming or many years and will be back next year.

    « Inferior customer service »

After driving from Denver to Glenwood Springs, I arrived at the Best Western Antlers hotel around 2 PM, i.e. too early for check in. Even so, the front desk clerk, Sandy, proceeded to check me in. She assured me that when I came back at 4 PM, when, she told me, there would be a long line of people waiting to check in, I would be able to receive my key right away just by giving the front desk clerk my name. Sandy was friendly enough but checkin was slow and she seemed nervous and/or stressed, as though she wasn't entirely sure of what she was doing. I asked Sandy some questions about Hanging Lake and about whether there is a visitor center in town, but she was not able to answer my questions. I expect front desk clerks to be able to provide some basic information about the town the hotel is in, especially when the hotel has no concierge, but this was not the case here. When I came back at 4 PM to pick up my key, there was indeed a line of people waiting to check in, and behind the counter a man named Andrew who seemed very tense and stressed. In spite of what his colleague Sandy had told me only two hours earlier, Andrew would NOT give me my key, he told me in a very unfriendly and unpleasant way - I would have to wait my turn like everybody else. Why his colleague had told me different I don't know. My room, which I finally had access to at about 4:15-4:20, was quite large but very dark. It had a small window overlooking a parking lot, a garbage container, and some trees and bushes. Furniture looked old and outdated, the washstand was not in the actual bathroom but outside it, and there was no proper closet or wardrobe but instead just some hangers near the washstand. There was neither fridge nor safe in my room, and the air conditioner was extremely noisy. In short, a very unimpressive hotel room. Worse yet, wifi in my room did not work at all. When I notified Andrew at the front desk about this he said there was nothing he could or would do, and that I should contact the "tech company" myself, their number to be found in my room. For all my travels around the globe, not least in the US, I have never encountered this situation before - that hotel staff is not willing to help with a service that is supposed to be complimentary. Instead I, as a paying guest, am supposed to go through the hassle of calling the "tech company" that they get this service from? No, that is NOT my job. Totally unacceptable. When I used the wifi in the lobby (which worked) the next day, I addressed this issue yet again but this time with another front desk clerk, I believe her name was Ashley. She was as lacking in attitude as Andrew - cold, unfriendly and unwilling to help (I also overheard her loudly complaining to somebody else about working double shifts). She told me the same thing Andrew had, that I should contact the tech company myself. A maintenance guy who was also in the lobby at the time and overheard this exchange, approached me and whispered that he would go to my room to restart (reboot) the router. If that didn't do the trick, he said I should insist that the front desk help me and call the tech company for me. This maintenance man was the only friendly and helpful staff member I met at this hotel. Needless to say, in spite of his kind efforts, wifi in my room still did not work, and it never did during my stay. When I returned to the lobby in the evening to use the wifi there once again, Andrew was again on duty and neither greeted me upon entering, nor said good bye or good night when I left. The hotel is located a 10-15 minute walk from "downtown" Glenwood Springs, a walk that at present is not a pleasant one due to road work and lots of traffic. If I were to return to Glenwood Springs I would probably choose a hotel with a different location. Breakfast at the hotel, which was complimentary, was OK. Everyone else I interacted with in Glenwood Springs - at the visitor center, in stores and restaurants etc - were super friendly, except for staff at this hotel. Due to its unfriendly staff, Best Western Antlers is one of the most unpleasant hotels I have stayed at - ever, anywhere. As service was substandard throughout, I imagine this must be a management problem: a matter of not hiring the right people and/or not giving them adequate training. I cannot recommend anyone staying here, it was a complete waste of my money, and it made me enjoy my entire stay in Glenwood Springs far less than I could have.

« Great place to stay! »

What a great place to stay! Our room was comfortable and clean. There were a ton of convenient outlets in which to plug phones/ipads into. LOVED the large sink/counter outside of the bathroom AND another one inside the bathroom! (Hmmm...did a woman design this room? :) lol). Very nice pool and large hot tub. Awesome hot breakfast (3 waffle makers!) with lots of seating. My only complaint was that they turned off the firepits way too early. We just started visiting with other people staying and then the fire went out. Walking distance to places to eat, to the tram to FREE Friday night music on the mountain, and to the shuttle to the hot spring pools. Whitewater rafting was just a 5 minute drive. We had a fabulous time in Glenwood Springs and will definitely stay here again when we return!

« Disappointed with the Bathroom!!! »

The bathroom was dated and the shower didn't work properly...We stayed in Room 270, one of the biggest rooms they had...The price was crazy for this room, but no other choices with 3 adults and 2 grandchildren...Older grandchild would not take a shower in this bathroom...It was difficult to get in and out of...Need some updating...

« Fantastic place to stay for families! »

We loved having so many things to do with our teenage kids including free bike riding in the beautiful canyon, pickle ball, volleyball, board games by the fire in the nice lobby area, relaxing on the wooden rocking chairs, swimming, the large hot tub, comfortable lounge chairs to sit in by the pool and fire pits to both enjoy the view of the mountains and the sun setting. Clean, nice and updated rooms. Big, fantastic breakfast included. Friendly and helpful staff who suggested Tequila's Mexican food across the street, which was our favorite ever. We can't wait to stay here again!

The rooms had Windows that opened with screens so we could sleep breathing the clean, cool Colorado mountain air. Well kept grounds. We enjoyed the short walk through the neighborhood to the hot spring pools.

    « Quiet comfort »

A friend and I stayed at the Glenwood Springs BW and slept comfortably and soundly. The beds were comfortable and the room very quiet. Breakfast was great too. The only odd thing was the fixtures that hadn't been updated in the bathroom. Other nice improvements had been made, but the fixtures were old and looked out of place.

    « Very Nice »

This Best Western is located in the heart of the City, it is close to bike trails and restaurants. This Best Western is designed to blend with the surroundings, and had lots of little amenities that made the stay feel homey. The pool and spa, fireplace settings located around the BW made it feel cozy had lots of additional things to do like ... bikes, tennis, volley ball, etc. Highly recommend this location.

« Clean amd comfortable, but noisy. »

We came up late on a Saturday night, strictly for a place to sleep as we wanted to hike Hanging Lake the next morning and wanted to get there early. We got to the hotel a couple minutes before 10pm and I was unaware the office closes. Luckily there was someone still there to check us in, but I don't know what we would've had to do if we arrived after closing. The office hours are probably listed somewhere, but it would help if this information was made much more obvious on the confirmation email or something. All is well that ends well. Other than that, out room was right by a stair well which had a common area outdoor table, literally right outside the room. There were other guests sitting there when we arrived. Later on, when we were trying to sleep (probably close to 11pm), they were playing cards and laughing/talking loudly. I ended up falling asleep, but my boyfriend said he was having trouble sleeping with the noise. He didn't get up and go speak to them, your considered it. Woth the office being closed, I'm not sure who we would be reported it to if we needed to. Aside from those things, the room was comfortable and clean. Again, we were there just to sleep, but unfortunately the noise made it hard to do so.

« Beautiful hotel and grounds »

This property is in the mountain town of Glenwood Springs! Great value for the area and nice clean and newly redone rooms. The hotel grounds are exceptional and lovely to walk around and hang out, firepit, sitting areas in the trees and nice pools. And it was very reasonable.

« Good Value in Glenwood Springs »

The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was nice and well run. We especially enjoyed the "green spaces" on the property. The property is a short walk to the Glenwood Springs pool & spa. We felt like it was a good value and would stay there again.

« California Zephyr to Glenwood Springs »

A group of 10, 5 couples, rode the California Zephyr from Denver to Glenwood. Called the hotel and they came right away to pick us up at the train depot. Check-in was fast, however they didn't have a room on the first floor that I had requested. They gave us a very nice king room on the 2nd floor near the stairway. King room was spacious, a separate dressing area from the main bathroom was very nice for a couple getting ready at the same time. Only small problem with the room was that despite several lamps it was kind of dark in the evening. Complimentary wi-fi was very fast - a pleasant change from some hotels where you have to pay to upgrade to a reasonable speed. The hotel grounds were beautifully maintained - lots of flowers, several outside seating areas with fire pits. We didn't use the pool and hot-tub, but several in our party did and said they were very nice and clean. Breakfast was excellent. Waffles, sausage, eggs, oatmeal, cereal, toast muffins, yogurt, fruit, juice, coffee - everything you could ask for. Tables were kept clean even though there were a LOT of people coming through and lots of families with sticky children - HA. A very enjoyable stay - we'll stay here again when passing through Glenwood.

    « Bad Experience .,. Awful Management! »

We had reserved a room for two days for a weekend, Friday/Saturday nights, in July while on vacation in the Rockies. Our plans changed, so I went to our BW account, found the reservation, and was certain I had cancelled the two days, until that weekend, on Saturday morning, at 7:02 AM, American Express notified my phone we had just been charged $327.96 for two nights at this establishment. While this caught me by surprise, and we were 4 hours away, if we had already paid for 2 nights, we ought to get at least one night, so we hit the road. Imagine our surprise when we arrived that afternoon and were told we didn't have a reservation, they had no record of us, and we would have a nearly 30 minute wait for management! When I showed the desk clerk manager my notice from American Express of the above charge, they gave me a room for one night. At 7:02 AM the next morning, my phone was notified once again by American Express that I had been charged another $327.96 for a total charge now of $655.92 for our night's stay!! When I complained at the desk when we walked over for breakfast, I was told they "wanted to make sure" they got their money for both nights, and they would drop the second charged when they were fully paid from the first as they were "just pending charges." I've been staying in hotels the entire 52 years of our marriage, and I've never been treated this way. Most of the motels I book send a message a week or so prior to arrival to remind us they are prepared for our coming. Not this establishment! The grounds were in excellent shape .. the Elk Lodge was well kept on the exterior .. the room was old and showing its age .. the mattress was soft and lumpy, the worse I've slept on in many years .. the outside wall a/c worked well .. the old flat-screen TV had a horrible picture .. the breakfast food was good, just no where to sit. The pool was very busy, and there were areas under trees at the rear of the property for family get-to-gathers with tables, chairs and grills.

« Could be alot better »

We have stayed here many times over the years and we've had better stays, their prices have gone way up 159$ a night for a small queen that the mattress was worn out. They maid service was real shabby ,left only a half roll of TP in holder, one tiny bar of soap, for shower and two sinks, no refills on shampoo, ect, didn't vaccuum,no refill on coffee. The second day we came home from the pool and room still wasn't done at 4:pm , since we needed showers ect and wanted to be in room ,we just asked for new towels, and coffee,no service done. I had to ask for more TP .The towels were small and very few. The breakfast was good and plentiful, the pool area is ok but needs to be cleaned more often cob webs in corners and dead bugs . This is not worth what their asking, their are places very close for much less,no pool ect but clean and good service. The picnic areas are nicer ,they added some furniture and neat fire grates. if your coming into Glenwood take the second exit at west Glenwood other wise you will be in traffic jam trying to get into town ,the bridge work is a major hassle getting around Glenwood.I'm disappointed with the ANTLERS. You need to fix the maid service in this building .

    « Clean, good location »

For one night, this was a nice stay. Kids enjoyed the pool, views from the room were gorgeous. It was clean, nothing fancy. The breakfast was very good. Conveniently located to shuttle for hot springs which is where we were headed.

    « Wonderful stay »

I stayed here one night in July with my 4 children. We stayed in the family suite, which was large with 2 separate sleeping areas and 4 queen beds total. It was a little dark as I think it's a partial basement area. However, it was clean and comfortable. It was definitely a bit too expensive to say it was a great value, but definitely worth the money if you have a large family. The pool area was the highlight of our stay though. The kids enjoyed playing in the pool, baby pool and hot tub. The grounds were well maintained and they even had a nice fire pit area for enjoyment. The tennis courts were well maintained and the kids enjoyed playing on the swings and other play ground equipment. Great place to stay with young kids.

« Best Western is one of our Favorites! »

Nice place to stay in Glenwood Springs. Their "continental breakfast" is more like a full breakfast! Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean, we like the wood ceilings. It's an easy ride to the bicycle paths, which is why we were visiting. We plan to go back later this year!

    « Great value »

Great value, clean, updated rooms. Friendly staff, good selection and tasty breakfast. Nice pool area. We watched the fireworks from the balcony. Mabe could have a 2nd staff member on in the evenings. Would definitely stay there again if in the area.

    « Cozy and clean »

The room was lovely. Lofty ceilings and decor made it feel like a cabin. The bathtub/shower could be updated. It was hard to get the right temp with the older valves. The second bathroom sink was nice. Loved the location, very walkable to everything. The only other thing we felt inconvenienced by were the lack of elevators or ramp to the upper level with our heavy bags. That could be difficult for some people.

« Don't need a car to visit Glenwood Springs BW »

Day/Evening Staff friendly and helpful, Early Morning Staff had no idea on how to provide a receipt when I booked with Amex. Breakfast very good, Rooms Clean but ours could have used some handyman repairs in the bathroom. Denver Bus was parked in BW Antlers Parking Lot at 0700 am. and Glenwood has a $1 a day bus service that takes you around town. Antlers is within Walking distance to Hot Springs, Tram Ride, and other recreation sites. Transfer Trail (4wd, Horse, Hiking, Bike, Etc.) is access to Flat Tops Wilderness, Mitchel Creek is access to DOW Fish Hatchery where you can feed the large trout and continue from trail head into Flat Tops.

« Lovely Hotel but No Customer Care »

Facilities are very nice. However they made no effort to allow us into our room before their very late check in time. We sat there for two hours after riding our bikes from Vail . With a bit of customer service they might have asked the maid to clean our rooms before others that didn't have 4 people waiting. Seems like a poor attitude from management passed down to underlings. It greatly spoiled a day of our vacation.

« Best Western Glenwood Springs »

Pleasantly surprised, nice 2 room suite was perfect for us and our teenagers. Great breakfasts, although very busy and chaotic, wish the waffle station was bigger, always a line for that. Great pool and pool house. Also wish the fire pits were available for longer length of time.

« Worst Hotel out of 2 others »

Best Western Antlers did not live up to the reviews/expectations. We stayed at two other Hotels prior to staying at BW.Antlers and this one was Horrible. The shower is out dated, shower Knob gave you either Cold as ice or Scorching Hot. There was no in-between. The Restroom came with ONLY 1 USED half roll of toilet paper roll. The towels provided for the shower were small. Maybe big enough for up to a 10 year old.

    « Wonderful Weekend Retreat »

This was our first stay at the Antlers and we couldn't have been more pleased. We had been to Glenwood Springs once before and stayed at the hotel directly across from the springs but they were booked and much more expensive. Our room was spacious and the bathroom was especially large with a window that opened. We were in the Elk Lodge. There is a lot of construction going on in Glenwood Springs now but we had our bikes and found a back route through the neighborhood to get to Glenwood Hot Springs easily. I can't wait until our next trip!

    « Hot Springs Trip »

Wonderfully decorated, and the price is very reasonable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The only drawback was that we were upstairs on the end by the fire pit. The quests were very loud and inconsiderate which has nothing to do with the Hotel.

    « Beautiful hotel »

This hotel is nicely appointed. It is very rustic feeling - perfect for its setting. It is a little far from the center of town, but it is close enough to major attractions to make this a great little get-away hotel.

    5
« Convenient to hot springs »

The Antlers is a good motel for access to the main attraction in town, the 2 hot springs. It's a comfortable though not luxurious motel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking is convenient to rooms. Swimming pool is available.

    3
    « Probably a 3.5 »

Our stay was decent, but nothing to write home about. Staff was helpful, rooms were dark, showers couldn't hold a consistent temperature (would be scalding out of no where), the free bike rental was a nice feature. I'd say the pictures you see online look a little better than what you actually get. Ok overall.

    3
    « Just ok »

We stayed for 1 night in June the main reception was lovely high ceilings, wall art and lovely wooden chairs on the front porch. The rooms are over several 2 story blocks through the property we stayed in one of the ground floor rooms towards the front of the property it was very dark inside no ceiling lights just a bedside table and desk lamp, you do worry what it would look like if it was brighter! I felt it was a bit dated inside with a dark coloured cover on the bed. The pool area was open but the spa was getting refurbished and it was there was a workman there until after 7pm on the day we arrived doing what looked like tiling. Our room was next to the stairs and evertime people went up it was very noisy especially at 3am! I don't think I would stay here again. The staff were all lovely.

    « Fantastic Father's Day Weekend »

We swam (the pool was nice and heated just right), played horseshoes, played wiffle paddle board tennis, and soaked in the hot tub without leaving the complex! Maybe next time we'll take the bikes out for a spin. And the best part we were able to share this hotel with our canine, wouldn't be there without her. Breakfast was good, got our day started with some nice warm food in our bellies :) Everyone was so nice and I really appreciate that. We met lots of lovely couples too this trip - that just added to a well rounded weekend! Thanks BW!

« Good location in the middle of it all »

This place is on 6th street within easy walking distance to several restaurants and convenience stores. This is also within easy walking distance to the gondolas for the Glenwood Caverns and Adventure Park. The hotel rooms here are designed to look rustic, complete with fake beams in the room. It feels a little like you're in a log cabin here. The beds are comfortable and they have a complimentary breakfast in the mornings. I did not try it myself but the friend I was staying with did and had positive things to say. Ultimately, this is a decent hotel with a great location and not a bad place to stay but fairly average place to stay.

    « Terrible customer service »

We arrived after a long day of driving to be greeted by a grumpy chap on check in who kept sighing and huffing. We had two rooms booked and pre-paid yet for some reason the hotel had no record of them being paid so insisted we pay again, despite being shown receipts of our booking. The guy (Eric maybe?) was so unhelpful and grumpy you couldn't have a worse person on reception. I contacted our travel agent who contacted the hotel to rectify it immediately. In the morning we were told by another receptionist that we had been refunded, but received no apology or anything for the stress and inconvenience. After dinner my father in law discovered the tap was not working in his room, and was told flatly by the receptionist that maintenance had gone home. Receptionists are available to help, and represent the hotel surely? Well based on our experience we would never stay here again. The rooms were okay, albeit rather dark. Our little girl enjoyed the swings on site and the breakfast was not bad. But like I say, customer service!! If something goes wrong, don't expect a helpful or polote response.

« I'd find another place next time »

Booked a standard Queen room for 1 night. When we walked in I said "Welcome to our cave..." One small window and while there were plenty of lights nothing had more than a 25W bulb in it. Main problem was the mattress needed to be replaced. Sags in the middle. A/C was loud and not automatically controlled - on or off. Check in staff was good but all other staff looked the other way when they saw you and did not engage.

    « Beautiful property! »

We were thrilled with our room! The decor was beautiful, plantation shutters on the window, TWO vanities...one in the dressing area and one in the bathroom! We also loved the wood ceiling, comfy bed and breakfast! Definitely stay here if you are in the area. We will stay here again.

    4
    « Great for families »

Had family reunion with generally good amenities although indoor spa/hot tub were being renovated during our stay. Cleaning staff missed one day of service in each of our two rented rooms. Front staff was very engaging but did not offer to fix their problem of not having our two rooms be adjacent (or offer compensation).. Did not offer compensation for spa not being available. Outdoor facilities were excellent and very well-maintained. Outdoor grilling and seating were also excellent.

    « Just good luck »

Traveling to clear my mind from LA I ran into this amazing gem. There I was greeted by Sandra at the front desk and she was warm and welcoming. She knew so much of the city and told me everything I should do before I take leave. The hotel is beautiful for people who enjoy the outdoor vibe! This place has everything you need from Laundry rooms to fitness center and the breakfast was pretty good. I'm definitely dropping by again!

« Perfect in every way »

We have stayed in several Best Westerns in the US and Canada, and this is my new favorite. The grounds are beautiful, it is within easy walking distance of restaurants and shops, and right off the freeway. The decor had a nice rustic feeling with wood ceilings and massive wood headboards. There are 2 playgrounds for kids, a large kiddie pool, bikes to rent, volleyball and a fire pit. Great experience, perfect family destination, or for couples just wanting a beautiful place to relax.

    « A solid 5 except... »

I really liked the throwback charm of all accommodations and good breakfasts each morning. Except ... Fix your plumbing. My wife was scalded with each shower with the water going from hot to cold and back and forth. This is not ok. The man at the front desk said they have had a problem with it for a long time without a beter explanation or an apology.

« Wonderful hotel and property »

Best Western Antlers offers a wonderful experience for a low cost. I enjoyed the spacious, well-maintained grounds that included a playground for small kids and two fire pits with lodge chairs to lounge by at night. Guest room walls are a little thin, but AC unit fans drown out your neighbor's TV.

« Has always been a great place to stay »

Spent one night here on our way from Denver to Moab. Nice clean and recently remodeled room. Good breakfast in the lobby. Can't ask for much more. Reasonable rate as well despite it being Friday, but it was off season.

    « Relaxation in Colorado »

Very nice couple of days at this hotel. Room was very clean and amenities were as described when I booked. Bathroom had two vanities so I could shave while the misses took a shower. Water pressure and temperature was great. Great location, we walked to the hot springs and vapor caves. Later walked to downtown and enjoyed the fine eatery and shopping. Breakfast was good the one morning we ate there, eggs were fresh and I enjoyed the Canadian bacon. All in all, one of the nicest Best Westerns I have visited.

Property was perfect, location, rooms attention to details. We loved it and would stay here again. Eric was very helpful when we checked in and the property was in a great location with plenty of room off the highway yet close to everything

« Best Western Glenwood Springs like a resort »

This is the best place to stay in Glenwood Springs. It is centrally located making it easy walk to downtown. I stay there on Business, but it is still a great place to bring your family. It is like staying at a resort. The hot breakfast is excellent. They even have almond milk for people that are lactose intolerant. The hotel has just completed replacing the pool, deck and hot tub. The hotel rooms are always spotless.

    5
« Perfect hotel within blocks of the Glenwood Natural Hot Springs Pool »

We had 2 rooms, both were larger than average and very clean. One of the 3 beds was a little sunk in the middle, but the others were fine. This is right off I-70 and you can walk to the pool if you want. The breakfast was average hotel breakfast, but was plentiful and the staff worked hard to keep everything fresh.

    « Mom's Day weekend »

We have been staying here for over 30 yrs. Good location, good breakfast buffet. Busy with kids tho. Room clean, but had spider web in bathroom. OK bed. 630 am noise from dumpsters and staff picking up the grounds and pool area. WAY too early for mom's day

    4
    « Great hotel »

Always stay here great place to stay. Easy walk to the hot springs.several restaurants close by and the iron mountain hot springs are just nearby. There is also a gondola up the mountain. This allows you to see the Glenwood caverns and park.

« Clean rooms, wonderful breakfast included! »

We have stayed at this motel several times over the years and I can honestly say that we have never had a bad experience! The staff have always gone out of their way to accommodate our requests or needs. The breakfast they offer as part of your room charge is fabulous! Hot oatmeal, make your own waffles, cold cereal, scrambled eggs and bacon, sausage, toast, coffee and juice! It is a great way to start your day. The rooms have always been clean and fresh. The Antlers is one of our favorite motels to stay at in Glenwood Springs!

    5
« What a great place to go »

Best western antlers was a nice place was clean and spacious in the fridge in the room lots of downtown activities to go to always love going to Glenwood Springs I recommend it to anyone who want to go up in the mountains a little bit pricey but well worth it

    « Average »

A typical best western , not great, breakfast served with plastic tray and cutlery! (Didn't think I was camping?) Rooms below average and old...location ok, glenwood springs notmworth a stop, front desk great and super helpful when picking us up from Amtrak station

« Amazing stay! Highly recommend! »

I decided to bring my mom to Glenwood springs to visit spa of the Rockies. I decided to stay here because it was a lot cheaper than most and it was such a great decision. It's close to everything! The hotel is very clean! We had such a wonderful time ending the day by the fire pits. The breakfast was delicious and there are SO many options. The staff has been amazing! Very polite and accommodating. Andrew at the front desk is so nice, helpful and such a delight. We will definitely be back!

« Glenwood Value and Comfort »

Fine place to stay for families. It's walking distance to Glenwood Hot Springs and everything else in the downtown center. Easy access to pedestrian bridge. Rooms are large with high ceilings, some nice wood accents, baths tiled and very clean though a bit dated. Bonus is the extensive outdoor space. Several lawn areas, kid's swings and a playground, two fire pits on the hill. Many chairs and tables on the property. They were resurfacing pool and hot tub area in time for summer. You will not find more space for your family to relax outside. Breakfast was much more than "continental"--fresh scrambled eggs and sausage, fruits, waffles, toasts, oatmeal, etc. Lobby has comfy chairs to relax. Great value in great location. Stay here.

    « leisure travel »

The big attraction of this hotel for us was the park like grounds surrounding it with tables and chairs plus two gas log fire rings to sit around after dark. Staff was friendly and professional. It's a short walk to restaurants and the Glenwood Hot Springs pool.

« Bed was comfy, rooms were nice »

Really did enjoy my stay in glennwood springs Colorado. The hotel had nice suite rooms that have lots of room to enjoy without feeling you were in a square box. That layout was quite refreshing for a change. I would definitely go back.

    1
« Poor housekeeping service, they did not bother to even make the bed the only day we stayed in. »

The trash was left on the aisle outside the rooms, negligence I guess I would have been happier if the housekeepers came to make the bad and left some tissues in the room, there were none, the pillows were very hard and we only had one cover, in general was cold, I was expecting better bed for the money I paid, pool was closed but I didn't care about that the springs were close by.

    4
« Three Day Weekend Trip »

We chose this hotel for its location - not too close to the pool and traffic but still able to walk to the main part of town. This is a fairly good size hotel with 3 separate building. Our room was clean but a bit aged. Of course the window unit heater/ac unit was a bit noisy like most hotels/motels that have this type of system. The pool was still closed but the hot tub was open. It has a laundry facility and if you want there are 2 fire pits to use on the hill. Breakfast was substantial and the usual fair. I would consider staying there again.

    3
« Clean but could use some updates »

Hotel was clean but could use updates in the bathroom area. Pool is currently under renovation. Staff was friendly. Included a breakfast. Located near the town, Hot Springs, and tourist activities. Multiple buildings with doors that lead to the outside.

    4
« Nice place to stay... »

It was a nice place to stay. I like that the rooms all have outdoor entries, but be careful when renting a room. Some rooms don't have a fridge or microwave, and you're expected to know that (they don't tell you) and request a fridge or microwave while making the reservation. Other than that little hick-up, the staff is phenomenal and the property gorgeous. They even have seating around multiple fire pits outside. It was very cozy!

    5
    « Great stay »

Thanks for another great stay for spring break! We have stayed there for over twenty years with our kids at Spring Break. We can walk to downtown Glenwood, and the hot springs. We have always enjoyed the separate room suite with the kids. The breakfast has grown to a full wonderful breakfast in the morning.

    4
« Nice place to stay »

It was a good place to stay and very convenient location to the hot springs. The room was clean, the staff friendly and helpful. In some ways, it was unremarkable in how pleasant the stay was--nothing really stood out.

    3
« Nice Folks but Most Expensive of Trip »

Mixed Review on this place. First, the staff was all friendly and helpful. Second, we were given a handicapped room which was unnecessary but nice. Third, it was a pretty slow nice so it was quiet and restful. Down sides were that this room was roughly $25 more expensive per night than was average on this trip for us. Also, there were no overhead light fixtures so room seemed fairly dark. Didn't need the AC so didn't turn it on. Lastly, there was no USA Today. At this price, I would have expected that amenity.

    4
« Clean rooms very cozy stay »

Very clean bed and room... Bathrooms were a little dirty our first stay but after the first night the cleaning crew did an awesome job cleaning it all the next day so made it even better will definitely stay here again if we pass through gleenwood.

« Very nice hotel, great staff! »

We took the train from Denver to Glenwood Springs. The Antlers offered us shuttle service from the train station to the hotel. We were very pleased with our rooms, clean and comfortable. The breakfast is far above what most other hotels offer. The staff is friendly and helpful. Took their shuttle back to the train, will definitely come back. A nice place to stay!

    5
« Very clean and updated »

Hotel is well maintained inside and out, even the walkways are freshly painted and spotless. Fridge and microwave in room a plus. Free morning breakfast is excellent, great selections, waffle maker, pancake maker, basically the works...Will stay here again next trip thru....within walking distance to the hot springs

Like the Hotel very clean and Professional! Good Staff, Good Hotel, and good breakfast , better than the Ramada Inn. Ramada needs new management and a renovation of the rooms. Love the views of Mtn...

« Much more than we expected »

My husband and I are doing a road trip from Denver to Tucson via Moab and Sedona. We needed somewhere to break the first stage of our journey and searching the net I discovered Glenwood Springs. I chose the BW as a reasonably priced overnight stop. Antlers is a great BW. Good looking and back into a beautiful hill, it is close to everything and a moment 's drive to the Springs - well worth visiting. All rooms are on the ground or first floor with parking right outside. The king bed was comfy. The breakfast, complimentary! Pete, our front desk help, was lovely. There is a pool, laundry, small play area and courts (I think - check the last one). We ate at a wonderful Mexican, Fiesta Guadalajara- slightly up and off the main road and opposite the Hotel Colorado. Great food, great service. A little bit of real Mexico. Very glad I chose Antlers.

    « Comfortable and affordable. »

Nice Best Western, large property with good amenities. Nice Colorado feel, kinda like Mountain lodges. Staff was friendly and helpful. Great location to adventure park and Iron Mtn Hot springs , as well as some eating places. Good for the family! Good morning breakfast and coffee.

    3
    « nice family place »

the hotel was nice , clean and a good location . It has the Colorado feel . It is an older hotel , my guess built in the 60's but has been very well maintained . Very pretty landscaping . If you are looking for a high end resort type place , move on . If you are looking for a nice clean , affordable , middle of town location , this is your place .

« Large Property well located for Springs Visit »

This is a large best western two story property. Staff were great, room was ok. The breakfast was actually very good. We needed milk for my wife's morning tea and they went and got it late at night for her, most places say no. We look forward to a future visit and stay.

    « Colorado Mountains »

Good location, very helpful and courteous employees, near restaurants and downtown. Within driving range of resorts and mountains. Quiet area, and far enough away from freeway to not hear cars and trucks.

    4
    « Glenwood Springs trip »

This is an older type of a hotel (motel) with two stories and several different buildings. The room was adequate and clean, but could use some updating, which would be hard as it is an older hotel. The décor is western-type of décor which is a pleasant change from the modern, newer hotels. Walls were thin, so you could hear the voices in the adjacent rooms whenever they were speaking. This was especially noticeable at night. The breakfast was much better than the usual hotel fare and presented very attractively. The staff was very, very courteous and helpful.

    5
« Great value & nice place to stay »

We have stayed at the Antlers a couple of times now, and have thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff is so accomodating. We arrived on the train, and walked to the hotel knowing it wasn't far. When we got there, the clerk behind the desk told us we could have called and they would've come picked us up. They did take us to the station at the end of our stay. They are friendly, and the breakfast is pretty good. Nice variety, eggs, meat, cereal, and waffles, plus yogurt, coffee, juice, etc.. The rooms are clean and smell good, and easy to get around in. We love to stay there, and it is so close to the Hot Springs Pool, you can walk, or take the shuttle across the street. Enjoy!

    « Revisited »

Nice room it had everything you might need. The hotel is within walking distance to hot springs and good restaurants. They have nice fire pits to sit around in evening. Staff was nice when we needed to get extra towels.

    4
« Room to warm and breakfast basic »

The room was comfortable but too warm, a/c was too noisy to run all night. Walking distance to the main area with the restaurants. Breakfast was basic cereal, bagels and plastic hot food. Plenty of seating, which a lot of other hotels lack

    5
    « Stayer here October 2, 2016 »

The motel was great. We chose it due to it's proximity to the enterprise car rental agency (across the street) Beds were great, nice pool, and standard breakfast. (cereal, do-it-yourself waffles, etc.) They also picked us up at the train station.

    5
    « A Step Above »

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is very clean and up to date. They do serve a light snack on week nights. The room is comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good. There was plenty of parking. The hotel is located about a block off of the interstate. The next exit north has a great selection of restaurants and there are a few nearby.

    5
    « Great location »

Stayed here as part of a group. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We were a little early but they tried to get our rooms ready as soon as possible. Location was within easy walking distance from the Hot Springs pool and downtown shopping, nightlife and dining.

    « Great Location »

This was a great night stay the room was clean and comfortable. The beds were very comfy. the grounds are well kept and a very attractive hotel. The staff was very friendly. The location is right off the highway and close to all the attractions the city has to offer within walking distance. My next stay in Glenwood will be here again!

    « A nice surprise »

Friendly people, very well maintained facility on a large property. A great choice if you are a hunter or other person towing a trailer as the parking is spacious and there are two entrances/exits. Free high speed wifi worked well. Looked like a good choice for families.

« Too expensive for what you get »

Our first option for a hotel was booked and this was AAAs recommendation for an alternative hotel with a promised reduced rate. We did not receive the reduced rate. The room was dated in decor. The bathtub filled with water as you showered. Towels were low quality and there were no discounts for the spas in town. The breakfast was ok, not great.

    « RM-IMRG »

Our Rocky Mountain Indian Motorcycle Riders Groups chose this hotel for it's location, price and past experience for an overnight trip for our chapter. The front desk staff was pleasant and extremely helpful. They allowed us to us the back room (breakfast area) that evening to hang out and socialize. It was perfect for our needs. A HUGE THANKS!!

« Clean room, good breakfast »

The rooms are very clean, not afraid to go barefoot! The grounds are just beautiful, we spent half our time just walking around. Sitting by the pool, on the grass, on the little hill with chairs by one of the fire pits, just beautiful. We walked to the tram just down the road for a fun day on the mountain. You could walk to town but because of bridge construction we drove. The breakfast was good and well stocked. I was very impressed that they employed a young man at breakfast just to open the door for guests, it's the little things! I got a super deal on the room but next time I would splurge for a room with a mini fridge. Would definitely come back.

    4
« Nice room, good breakfast »

The grounds and landscaping at the Antlers are beautiful. The room was very clean and quiet. The location was great for the conference that I attended. And the breakfast was way above average. I'd come back.

    5
« Large room, good value »

Our room was very large, but gloomy, so lights are needed all day. (Not unusual for motels). It was clean and well equipped. There was a large range of items on offer for breakfast. We walked into the town for dinner, about ten minutes. There is a pedestrian bridge over the Colorado river, not easy to spot as construction of a new bridge is underway. The walk is well lit with people about and therefore felt safe.

    « A Great Place to Stay »

When I arrived at the Antlers, I realized that I had forgotten to request a ground floor room since I had a bike with me. No problem, the receptionist made the change on the spot. It was uphill from there. The grounds were beautiful, the place has a pool, a hot tub, a laundry, vending, plenty of parking. The breakfast served included scrambled eggs, sausage or ham, oatmeal, toast, pastries, waffles, cereals, fruit, and drinks. The wifi connection was excellent and worked as well as my high speed internet at home. This is an older motel, but it has been scruplesly maintained. The rooms were nicely outfitted, carpet looked good. The people working there all seemed to care about the customers. The parting shot was that I left something behind in the room. I called and explained the situation, and the lady that I spoke to secured my items, then called and let me know that my items were secure. Needless to say, I would recommend the Antlers to my friends.

    5
« Great value, clean and nice campus »

We have stayed at this hotel several times now, among several others in Glenwood Springs. This is one of the nicer value hotels in town. They are clean, rooms are nice - nothing fancy, but comfortable beds, have a nice heated pool and indoor hot tub, great outdoor areas with gas fire pits, volleyball net, horseshoes and within walking distance to a variety of shops, the Adventure Caverns, and the main hot springs. And for a long walk or bike ride, you can easily get to downtown, the new hot springs, and the park. Always friendly employees and great rates.

    5
« Very clean and great breakfast »

We visited the high country to see the foliage this fall and stayed at the Antlers. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the complimentary breakfast was great. We would definitely stay there again.

    « A perfect place to stay »

Excellent in every way.... Employees were great, room clean, great breakfast, comfortable bed, clean pool, clean jacuzzi, everything about our stay was perfect... Thank you to all the employees that made our stay a most enjoyable stay.

« Clean but Dark Rooms »

This is your typical best western, the rooms are clean and breakfast was good. The hotel is in a good location and parking and wifi is free. The rooms were very dark though and you needed a light on even in the daytime. Overall the hotel is ok, nothing to really rave about.

« Good value for a nice place to stay »

We had a nice room in the Antelope Lodge section of the motel. It was very up-to-date, clean, and quiet. On the second night we discovered a leaking water pipe from the shower in the unit above us, and the staff was very helpful. Within walking distance of the hot springs pool and downtown Glenwood Springs. Breakfast was good, enough to get us started for the day.

    1
« Second chance blown Long tradition ending »

I have stayed at the Antlers Bestwestern since I was a kid, now 48. Last year we stayed and they were having issues with their boiler system. Taking a shower is dangerous. You can be scolded at any given moment and then be frozen the next. We were assured last year they were working on the problem so we decided to give it another try. We were told at the desk that they believed they had it resolved but that was a complete lie. Showering was again very dangerous. Thank God we did not have children. Please beware. Also there are no refrigerators in the rooms and the place is not very clean. The carpets are discussing and stuff smeared on the bathroom walls. I don't even want to know what that was. So long tradition we will be starting. New one someplace other than this hotel.

« Glenwood Springs Best Western »

Enjoyed my stay at best western. It is convenient to many of the attractions in the area. The staff extremely friendly and courtesy. The property located in quite section of Glenwood Springs. It was very easy for check in and check out. I would recommend this hotel for anyone who is looking for a quite stay.

    5
    « Great Hotel »

This Hotel was great for our Group gathering. it is close to area attractions that we were visiting and very reasonably priced. The Hotel staff worked with us on parking of the motorcycles together and were very helpful throughout the weekend.

    « Great location, affordable »

Great location, very close to Iron Mountain Hot Springs and the Gleenwood Caverns. We had Caribou Lodge Room 102, faces towards the swimming pool and the registration building. Has three queen beds, two in the main room, and one in its own separate bedroom. Could hear motorcycles when they start the engine, fan/ac was loud to me. Other wise relatively quiet. There was a cheeto by the night stand and a spider in the bathroom. Only two sets of toiletries, felt there should probably be three... but could probably ask the service desk for extras without problem. They also have coin laundry in the building where the swimming pool is.

    5
    « Peaceful »

BW Antlers is very beautiful and peaceful. The pool area is very nice with plenty of chairs. The room are clean, comfortable and decorated beautifully. The staff at the front desk to the maids are very helpful.

    4
« Restful night. Very quiet and clean. »

Very quiet and clean. Comfortable. One plus - they offer discounted passes to the "Iron Mountain Hot Springs"; a smaller nicer private competitor to the famous Glenwood Hot Springs. Definitely a good choice if you need to stay in this area. The complementary breakfast definitely met or exceeded the Best Western Standard. The only potential problem we encountered is that their accounting (what we paid for and what we didn't) was rather confused but things worked out in the end.

    5
« Great hotel in Glenwood Springs, Colorado »

I would definitely recommend this hotel. It is conveniently located in Glenwood Springs. Ask for a map of the city and restaurants where you can eat for dinner. They have a heated swimming pool and great breakfast choices both hot and cold. We walked over the bridge to Pullman's Restaurant for dinner and back, no need to drive. Just park your car. The room was very nice and the ceiling was wood beams and the windows have shutters and also darkout curtains. Great place.

    5
    « Great overall experience »

Couldn't ask for more in a hotel at twice the price. Staff is very helpful, great breakfast gets us ready for a day of bicycling, pool and spa are wonderful after biking and before walking to one of the many good restaurants nearby. They've added 2 gas fire pits this year where you can sit out under the stars in the evening.

    « Glenwood Springs »

We have stayed at the Antler's Best Western many times and are always satisfied with our stay. It is nicely located in Glenwood Springs so that it is convenient to walk to most of the places in town that we wish to experience.

    « I will be back! »

I have been coming to the springs since I was a kid but we have typically always stayed elsewhere. Our favorite hotel was booked so my brother found this place at a great rate. We will be back! The convenience to the pool is amazing--pretty much walkable depending on how much stuff you have and the property is beautiful. The price was right--the rooms charming and clean and quiet. Three gas fireplace pits on the hillside for evening downtime--an outdoor pool and a hottub even a laundry area if needed. Friendly accommodating staff--great roomy main lodge for breakfast and for hanging out to watch the Bronco game. Really enjoy having a new hotel alternative in one of our favorite towns.

    « Perfect for a week! »

Never having been to Glenwood Springs, we relied on a recommendation from some college friends who had recently stayed here. It was perfect for us! Close enough to walk to town and restaurants and the tram. Very clean and breakfast was more than adequate. A very relaxing property, with a playground for children, horseshoes for mom & dad, and chairs just to sit and enjoy the view of the mountains.

    5
    « Feels like home »

I have stayed at the Antlers many times for business and leisure and I have never been disappointed. The staff goes out of their way to be friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and clean. There is a very nice pool/hot tub area. It is an easy walk to the Hot Springs and downtown. I never even consider another hotel when I stay in Glenwood Springs.

    5
« Clean room, good breakfast »

We stayed one night at the BW Antlers and were happy with our stay. We arrived early and were able to check in at 1:30 with no problem. Shenovia was friendly and courteous during check-in. Yes, our room was dated and dark (I read that the rooms will be renovated next year), but it was clean, quiet and comfortable. The outdoor amenities (kids' play area, pool, hot tub, fire pits, volleyball court, horseshoe pits, chairs and side tables under the trees, etc.) really add to the experience. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of the Hot Springs Pool and downtown (for restaurants and shops). Breakfast included all the usual continental items plus sausage, scrambled eggs and waffles. There was plenty of seating and even though we arrived during the last hour of breakfast, every breakfast item was available (nothing had run out). I lost an earring back and asked Shenovia at the front desk if there happened to be a spare one anywhere. She looked in the front desk drawer and in the back of the office and, not finding one, offered me one of hers. I declined, but talk about going above and beyond! We would definitely stay again.

    5
« Great place to Visit »

My wife and I stayed here for a few days and had a great time! Staff is always friendly, rooms are spacious and clean, and the pool and Jacuzzi are a great amenity. The hotel also offers fun activities like horse shoe pits which are also fun. Over all, we highly recommend anyone in the area to stay at this location. Convenient transit to the hot springs and local restaurants.

    3
« Pleasant enough, but not luxurious »

We have stayed here many times because it's a pleasant property and well located near the Glenwood hot springs pool. Rooms are a decent size and generally comfortable, but a bit dated. They have recently expanded the lobby breakfast area which makes the morning experience much better! The price has been going up, to the point that I might question the value for price unless some upgrades are made to the rooms. For example, the water temperature fluctuates during showers, lighting is lacking. The front desk staff could use some customer service training. The bridge that connects the two sides of Glenwood on the east side is undergoing major construction, which is going to have a negative impact for the next couple of years on traffic in the area and accessibility of this property. Most of the restaurants are on the other side of the bridge or further west.

    5
« Beautiful, comfortable and friendly »

A friend and I stayed here for 3 days of R&R. We were met by a nice young man, Andrew, who was very helpful and friendly. This started us on a very favorable visit. We had a nice room near the pool, which was great. Andrew Recommendedicated some nice restaurants and we found a few on our own. We loved Glenwood Springs and we're able to get some well earned rest. We would recommend the Antlers to all. I am ready for a return trip.

    4
    « A family-get-together-kind-of-place »

Had a family gathering in Glenwood Springs and stayed at the Antlers. Nice place! Rooms are clean. Breakfast is copious. Pool is great. Two fire pits are available for evening gatherings until 10 PM. They provide towels for their pool and hot tub or if you want to go to any other hot springs pools in the area.

    3
    « Nicely updated rooms »

Room size was average, we all thought the room was dark and lacked additional lighting. The hot tub area was overrun with hyper kids even though rules stated no kids without parents. I think we happened to be there when there was rude parents there. The front desk workers could've been cheerier and more helpful upon or arrival. Room was super clean.

    5
    « Very pleasantly surprised. »

The manager Dorian has made many improvements in the operation of this property in the last couple of years. Staff was very pleasant and efficient. Location is excellent (right across the street from the free city shuttle.. Would definitely stay here again.

I have stayed here a few times. The rooms and public areas are clean and well kept. The staff is friendly and helpful. The grounds are always kept clean and maintained well. The breakfast is hot with a good selection of continental items.

« Great place to stay! »

Really enjoyed this place. Convenient location to area activities and restaurants. Nice, well kept grounds. The outdoor chairs and fire pits were a nice touch. Rooms were simple but clean and quiet. The included breakfast was adequate. My only complaint was there was no in room safe. Would certainly stay here again.

« Great Place for the Money »

Very nice breakfast, nice pool, clean, friendly staff, washing machines onsite. The rooms are not new, but are clean. The bathroom set-up (extra sink outside the shower/toilet area) is nice for a family. Great proximity to adventure activities and walking distance to hot springs.

    « Great resort hotel »

Only stayed one night but this was a great hotel. Good breakfast nice great room and tyne fire pots on the property were a welcome unique bonus. Quiet location and ready access to the interstate. Overall a very pleasant place to stay.

« Very nice looking hotel, Only decent rooms though. »

When you drive up to the hotel it has very nice curb appeal and amenities. It is a very attractive hotel to stay at and be around. They have a great pool, outside seating around fire and a good breakfast area. The staff was great aside from booking us. The (older) lady who initially handled my reservation never actually booked us after getting all of our information. We had to call back a couple of weeks later to check after seeing no charges. Even after correcting things, my name was still mis-spelled. Nothing huge, but it just wasn't a easy process for us to complete. The downsides are the room walls & floors are thin. Noise and conversations are quite audible from other rooms if they are above quiet talking. So you will hear other peoples' hair dryers, children, running and voices or TV's that are louder.

    « Pleasant stay »

We were happy with our room and the hotel in general. We traveled by train and were picked up at the station by the hotel staff. There is a free shuttle right across the street from the hotel that takes you to the hot springs pool. It's an easy walk from the hotel to a lot of the downtown restaurants and shops.

    4
    « Fun Destination »

A travellers paradise. Everything for vacation fun. Relaxation at the hotel pool or fire pit. Walking distance to great food at downtown restaurants. A shorter walk to the Hot springs public pool. Scenic gondola ride just around the corner.

    « Pleasant experience »

Great place to stay in Glenwood, with clean, comfortable sized rooms. The hotel pool made it optional around spending the $40 + per day for a couple to swim at the Glenwood pool. The staff was friendly and helpful. The fire pits built on the grassy area on the west end of the property were a particularly nice addition.

    « Fantastic Location »

Spent three nights at Antlers Best Western. Great price, great location and the amenities were good including breakfast. Pool was outside and fun to use, we were there to check out the sites so we didn't spend much time at the resort.

« Beautiful Place, Family Friendly, Excellent Breakfast! »

We absolutely enjoyed our family stay in this hotel! The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable and the grounds are very well kept! We did not use the pool, but it looked very inviting. There was a very lovely lightning storm the night we stayed, the adults loved sitting at the picnic table in the covered area and being able to chat together after a very long road trip! Our children LOVED the breakfast, especially the waffle station. That was a great way to cap off our wonderful stay, we highly recommend it and will stay here again!

    « South Dakota trip »

This was like a lodge. The room was very large. The bathroom area was extremely large. There were two sinks and a bathroom counter was about 14 feet long. We came in late but check-in was very easy. Breakfast was excellent. The room was nice. We requested a first floor room and got it. Nice clean room, very comfortable bed. This would be a nice place to spend a couple of days, but we were just driving thru.

« Beautiful grounds, adequate room »

The hotel grounds are beautiful with nice landscaping, playgrounds, fire pits, pool, spa, etc. First, I understand that this is more of a motel than hotel. The room itself was very dark with only 1 window. I wish there had been better lighting in the room and chairs to sit on outside the room. The bed felt as if it was broken and you felt as if you were sleeping on in an incline trying not to roll into the middle of the bed. There was no fridge which was a disappointment since it is so warm in CO in the summer. We drank a ton of water and we couldn't keep it cold. The pool itself was nice and warm but they did not provide towels for the pool. Our room was clean and was cleaned every day by housekeeping which was nice. Overall, if the bed hadn't been broken and the room brighter I would have given this hotel a better rating.

« So friendly and helpful »

The front office greeted us with warm chocolate chip cookies. Our rooms were clean and wonderfully decorated. They even let us check out late so my son could change out of his dress uniform after his wedding, before he and his new wife were on the road for their honeymoon. Everyone thing about this hotel was superb!

    4
    « Nice. »

We arrived in glenwood springs at about 11am. I told my husband, that check-in wasn't until 4 so we would have to do what we wanted to do, then check in later. But he suggested we at least ask if we could check in early. I thought for sureThere was no way. They would let us. But much to my surprise they did! Which was awesome! It was in a great location, we were able walk to the adventure park, blue sky adventures, and a short walk to downtown. Our room was in "moose lodge", on the second floor facing the street. We had an awesome view of the mountains! I would stay here again and ask to stay in the same room. Just for that view! The room was clean, I only gave 4 stars because I do really wish they had a small fridge in the rooms.

    4
« Great Hotel, Great Location »

We enjoyed our stay here very much. Located very close to many attractions, including walking distance to downtown. It is a large property and gives you a laid back impression. Really stands out compared to some of the other hotels in the vicinity. Some great local restaurants less than a block away.

    4
« Nice hotel with a very central location in Glenwood »

My family stayed here in July and it was a really nice hotel. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. We stayed in one of the larger rooms with 3-beds and it was nice. We all had our own bed. Note: there was no elevator in the section we stayed in, so you may be required to carry your bags up two flights of stairs if you're on a 2nd floor.

« Trip to West Slope of Colorado »

Very well maintained facility and all amenities were first class. We have stayed at this motel during summer and winter visits to Glenwood Springs and have always had a good experience at the Antlers. Some of our friends we recommended stayed at the Antlers based on my recommendation, were pleased also as we have been.

« Antlers Best Western - Glenwood Springs »

On our arrival we were pleasantly surprised to find we had been upgraded to the Honeymoon Suite due to an overbooking of king suites. Great news. Very pleasant hotel - just far enough set back from the highway to be very convenient, but really good noise abatement from the traffic - never noticed it. Very convenient to all the major activities in Glenwood Springs. Almost within walking distance. Easy availability to town shuttle also

    3
« Could Use Some Help »

We were upgraded to a suite, which was nice of the management, but the room was a little dated and smelly. The entire building had interconnecting doors, which were locked, but we had to deal with a very noisy neighbors who sounded as though they were in our room. But we got through that. The most disappointing aspect was no housekeeping, we had to go get someone at 5pm, and due to language barrier (I guess), towels changed but room was not cleaned as we had asked, and our really nice front patio area was never swept up and cleaned. It was a nasty mess when we got there and was not touched during our 2 days there.

    4
« Great location and price »

I have stayed here with family multiple times. The rooms and common areas are always clean. There is an outdoor pool and it is walking distance to town. The breakfast is a decent continental style. There is free parking and wifi. The only downside is you have to go into town for dinner or non breakfast meals.

  • 4
    « Clean! »

The grounds are very nice, room was clean! It was a short drive from all of the action including the downtown area (right across the bridge) and right across the street from the gondola ride that takes you up to Adventure land. Would visit again

    5
« Loved our stay, we didn't want to leave! »

We stayed here this week and were so pleased with everything! I made a few special requests (booked back in Jan) and they accommodated all of them. Very clean and great breakfast every morning. This place is nicely located, you can walk to all of the local attractions.

    2
« No cleaning service, poor customer service »

Poor customer service-no cleaning service or response from front desk. Would not stay here again. Overall staffing seemed too low and they just don't seem to care when there is an issue. No apology, nothing.

    5
« Great Place for Family Reunions »

Our family of 40 had a reunion at the Antlers. The hotel was very accommodating and we were able to rent the gathering room (which also is the location for the free breakfasts). This room seats about 40-45 people and is a nice place to meet. We had two meals in this room which we arranged to have brought in. The location of the Antlers is great. You can walk to the gondola accessing the Glenwood Taverns Adventure Park. The Iron Mountain Hot Springs is just a short drive away. The downtown area is about 1 mile away. The staff at the Antlers is very friendly.

    « Antlers Best Western »

We are in Glenwood Springs at least four times a year and this is our first stay at the Antlers. Very nice rooms. Very nice lobby. We would stay again here again. This a good value for the price also.

« charming choice in Glenwood Springs »

We've stayed in town before at different motels, and were happy to find this charming lodge style motel. The setting is lovely and rustic, yet offers all comforts and conveniences. Our room was in the Elk Building and newly renovated with a micro-fridge. The bathroom was very spacious, including two sinks, one in the bathroom and one outside the bath, both with spacious counters. The motel is within walking distance of several restaurants and shoppes. A special shout out to Pete, who was very kind & helpful. We appreciate it! We'll definitely stay here again.

« Excellent choice when visiting Glenwood Springs »

I stayed for one night on a road trip to Rocky Mountain National Park during a tour of the National Parks. The hotel is in a beautiful setting. It has multiple two-story buildings, each with a distinctive lodge name. I stayed in "Moose Lodge". The king room was spacious with a rustic feel because of wood and beamed ceilings. There were double sinks in the room itself as well as an additional sink in the separate bathroom. Good for more than one person getting ready at a time. The room included a mini-fridge and microwave. Staff was very accommodating. There was a heated pool and hot tub; and the included breakfast was excellent. The hotel is located within the charming town of Glenwood Springs, with many shops and restaurants within walking distance. Parking was just outside my unit. There were no elevators in my building, so someone with large luggage may have a problem negotiating the stairs. I am not sure about accessibility in the other buildings. The Best Western Antlers is a wise choice when staying in Glenwood Springs, Colorado.

    5
« Good hotel in a great location »

Our room was clean and comfortable. I like that they offer free breakfast in the morning and it was in a great location to the main attractions in Glenwood Springs. I would recommend staying here on your visit.

    4
« Good hotel, excellent setting. »

We stayed here as a pre-planned stop on our way across Colorado. The hotel has a lodge-like feel and is nice to look at. They offered a nice breakfast however there was no refrigerator in the room. Also, the shower temperature shifted to scalding hot about 4 times during a 10 minute shower.

    4
« A very nice hotel in a beautiful setting »

We had a very comfortable room with good beds and a spacious bathroom. Unfortunately some older people in our group were not capable of dragging their suitcase to the first floor becaise of the absence of an elevator!

    « The BEST western? »

This was a nice hotel. My room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The pillows could have been a bit larger, but they were plenty soft. I was a little frustrated because the check in time was kind of late so I had to wait to get my room for almost 2 hours after my arrival. Also, I believe that the pools close entirely too early at most hotels.

    « average »

Leak in ceiling coming from above unit, Thankfully my husbands expensive camera was not in his case that was on table, that was soaked by leak. Other than that room was clean, & quiet, overall grounds were good, even though we didn't eat complimentary breakfast, that is a nice feature

    « Great Hotel »

Love this hotel. Close to the hot springs pool. Great Breakfast. Clean rooms. Nice on site pool. Friendly staff. Beautiful grounds with a playground. Have stayed several times and will continue to stay at this hotel in the future.

    3
« Short in Glenwood Springs »

If you stay here, you must request in advance a room with a mini-fridge. Would have been nice to know that in advance. If you book ahead with 4 guests, expect only 3 towels. That, apparently, is "standard". I would call these issues "short" of expectations. Apart from these, this BW is a good one. Breakfast is hearty, pool fine, room large, beds soft. Price moderate to high. Having the AC turned on in advance would have been a nice thing on the very hot day we arrived (but it was not).

    4
« Great place to stay. »

This is the perfect place to stay. Great location. Very clean. Everyone was always working on something. The only reason I gave them 4 stars was because, I had requested a shuttle from train station to hotel (per the website 'shuttle on request' ) but when we arrived I called and there was no one to come and pick us up. They were nice enough to call a cab but it was on my dollar. Not a big deal but an unexpected expense.

    4
    « Pleasant Experience.... »

We wanted to take a short trip to Glenwood Springs & wanted to be close to the downtown & hot springs areas. Antlers provided both. Staff was friendly & helpful. Housekeeping was very good. The other benefits: The remodeled room was nicely decorated with enough outlets for our chargers. A sink was both inside bathroom (with shower & toilet) as well as outside for a prep area. Quiet, even though we were not far from the street. Ask for the remodeled room; not all have been redone. Downsides but might not be important to the customer - TV was not great, some problems with wifi, and freezer section of refrig did not have a door. Breakfast is included & is acceptable. More than a continental breakfast.

    3
    « Nice property! »

The property at this hotel is very nice. Lots of green space, plenty of parking and a very nice breakfast which is included in your stay. Pros: location, property, pool, hot tub, breakfast, room was super clean Cons: very noisy air conditioner, no option to turn on bathroom light without the noisy fan going on. Although not the fault of the hotel, we did not appreciate the two couples below us who chain smoked right outside their toms the whole time. Please note, this is a non smoking hotel, not a non smoking property. I checked with the front desk and they to,d me you can smoke outside your room. The fact that one of these couple pulled two of their room chairs outside their room and smoked while they sat kind of defeats the purpose of having a non smoking room. The smell was terrible. I am sure the chairs they pulled out of the room reeked of smoke. The room between us and the stairwell had no less than 8 people staying in it so it was noisy. Probably would not stay here again. I do however appreciate the cleanliness and the breakfast!

    « Vacation in Glenwood »

Lobby and breakfast area is very nice, but rooms are dated. Air conditioner didn't work, so staff said we should open windows.A great park like setting with a nice pool for the kids. Also a nice guest laundry area.

« Awesome location, great value »

Good value for money. Great location - walkable to many restaurants. Rooms are good size and clean and comfortable. About 15 minutes from Hanging Lake Trailhead. Good breakfast with hot food options. .

« Wonderful people, lovely property »

I highly recommend this Best Western property. Their employees are well trained, friendly and caring. Particularly, Shenovia in the Breakfast room was lovely and made the meal even more enjoyable. Many choices of food also. The hotel is within walking distance of many restaurants and is located in a quiet part of the town. A real breath of fresh air!

    « plenty of room »

My husband and I had stayed here once before and this trip decided to bring our 4 children. we booked a room with 2 queens and a pull out couch. When we arrived I was pleased to see how large the room was. Our family had plenty of space in the room. It was wonderful and I am sure having so much space helped to avoid some sibling arguments.

    « Nice place »

Nice place to stay. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Problem w lock on door was addressed immediately. Staff helpful and curteous. Pool and hot tub were great. Hot breakfast good start to the day. Good location to downtown and spa.

    « Not a good experience. »

We have stayed at this hotel for over 10 years and always thought very highly of it. Lately it seems like the maintenance and cleaniness has deteriorted. We made the mistake of going barefoot inside the room and the bottoms of our feet were black - the carpets have not been cleaned or replaced in a long time. The blow dryer was a "green" model that produced no hot air. The bed was very soft and lumpy and in need of replacement.

« Best Western Antlers, Glenwood Springs »

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was a four day family getaway with three generations. The motel was nice and clean and the staff was very accommodating. Pool and hot tub were nice. We played horseshoes and other activities. We were able to use the back breakfast room large table for pizza one night and boards games a couple of times. Scenery was beautiful, great hike to Hanging Lake (even Grandma made it!), Theme Park was fun for kids of all ages. All in all a wonderful place to stay within walking distance of many attractions.

    « update the beds »

The bed was rock hard , the bed would want to make a homeless person sleep back on the street. The smell of the room was so bad , they need to get rid of the problem instead of covering it up. friendly staff/ careful of the Jacuzzi. person was in there washing his hair

« Solid choice in Glenwood Springs »

Although this motel is conveniently located right on the main drag in Glenwood Springs, once on the property you feel like you're in a secluded mountain retreat. We stayed in a spacious suite with two doubles in the main area and a separate queen bedroom. Very roomy for a family of four. Microwave and fridge were a welcome amenity and the room was very clean and efficient. My only complaint was that the beds were pretty worn and slopped down in the center causing me to roll into an uncomfortable position. The mattresses were much more firm than I would have liked. Even so, I'd stay there again without hesitation. The breakfast in the morning was the best of any hotel we stayed during our 12 day Colorado road trip. Great variety and everything was hot and fresh. My kids loved the pool and hot tub, great views from the deck of the surrounding mountains and everything was well maintained and clean.

    1
« Looks can be deceiving »

Looks great aesthetically (landscaping) but people were hanging their clothes out the dry on rails, staring at us, looked like they lived there, not just staying the night. Walls thin, from the bathroom, could hear someone in next room peeing. Loud out front late at night, pillows small and uncomfortable. Not a good nights rest at all. Biscuts and gravy luke warm at best. Left small item in room (micro sd card and adapter). Asked to check where it was left, but was told they would have found it. Said they clean all over, yet piece of trash on the floor, so doubt that happens. Wouldn't offer to make arrangements to double check so we could retrieve our pics. It's a cheap item but having the pics back would have been nice.

    5
    « Excellent choice! »

We were very pleased with this hotel. We had a suite, with open fire, dressing area and spacious bathroom, with spa bath. A small patio area outside overlooking the pool and mountain views. Service was very helpful. We were sorry to leave.

« Roomy, Western Colorado enjoyable stay! »

When our vehicle broke down unexpectedly in Glenwood Springs on the way to Utah, we were pleasantly surprised to find the Best Western Antlers. We got a large double room at a very reasonable price and liked the Western decor and extra space. The front staff, a young woman named Liz, and a gentleman (sorry didn't get his name) were very friendly and accommodating and gave us a map and recommendations for dinner - one of which we took and thoroughly enjoyed. We got a really good night's sleep aside from the glaring light on the hair dryer, if you don't like bright night lights, I'd suggest unplugging it, which I had to do halfway through the night because it was so bright. Their breakfast is better than most - waffles, sausage, eggs, strawberries, definitely fills you up and the coffee's even good! We were almost sad we had to check out and leave. Because of our positive experience at the Antlers and in Glenwood Springs, we hope to visit it again and not just drive through on our way out west like we usually do.

    5
« Great Hotel and Staff »

Awesome location, clean rooms, courteous staff and fantastic price! Breakfast not so great-cold gravy to go with the cold biscuits, sopping wet scrambled eggs, dry, old canadian bacon. Skip breakfast here and go downtown to The Diner.

    « Best Western Antlers »

I had to see some customers in Basalt, Carbondale and Aspen, and my daughter was playing in a soccer tournament in Glenwood Springs, so we selected this hotel. It was convenient and clean. The pool, hot tub, and room were nice, and the breakfast was extensive. The staff were very friendly.

« The surprise of the breakfast »

The breakfast is more than a continential breakfast and its amazingly delicious !!! They serve: biscuits and gravy, fruit cotails, fruits, fresh brewed coffee, waffles, oatmeal, juice and a host of other things . the breakfast attendants are also warm and friendly. Its definetly the place to be for a good stay and breakfast .

    « Great Room & location »

This is a great place to stay. Friendly, helpful staff upon check in. Room was very clean, nicely appointed, frig, microwave, coffee maker, etc. Drapes in addition to shades on the windows. Quiet. We stayed in the Elk Lodge. There are other name specific lodges on the property...not sure what the difference it. Breakfast was not just a continental breakfast, but also had scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, etc. Great place to stay....Thank you!

« Clean, simple and affordable »

Nothing special, but certainly adequate. Decent free breakfast, but no fresh fruit. Rooms are clean, but mine was poorly lit with missing light bulbs. Pricing seems comparable to the other mid range area hotel/motels.

« Excellent stop over in Glenwood Springs »

Great property that is walking distance to down town. Very quiet, well maintained and comfortable. Biscuits and gravy were some of the best on our 10 day road trip. Lots of convenient parking. Lots of space in the room. Easy access going east or west. Some road construction causing heavy traffic at times but that is short lived.

« Clean and great location! »

We went on a girls weekend there and the room was very clean and updated. The bedding was very comfortable and breakfast was very filling with eggs, waffles, toast, meat, pastries, juices and more! I was a little disappointed that we requested to have a different room as we were next to 2 very rambunctious children, and again we were on a girls weekend so we asked to move, and this was denied as they were booked, and it was early enough in day that I feel they could have accommodated us, but oh well, overall it was an enjoyable experience and would not hesitate to return.

    2
« Noisy Room, Difficult to Sleep »

The room was redecorated recently but it needed to be overhauled and insulated. We could hear the guys upstairs, the family next door and the couple on our other side - EVERY word of their conversations. Would not recommend this hotel at all. Far too expensive for the hassle.

    5
    « REAL VALUE »

This hotel is very affordable! Very nice clean rooms. Very outstanding breakfast ! Awesome pool and hot tub ( but you can really walk to Iron mountain hot springs) . The staff here speaks FLUENT English and are quick to help with anything. ALL IN ALL THIS IS BEST HOTEL IN GLENWOOD .

    « Awesome hotel »

This hotel has a family atmosphere. Very well kept. Friendly staff! The complimentary breakfast is wonderful. This hotel is located where you can walk to any of the attractions. The additional cost of this hotel is worth it. The rooms are clean and well decorated. It also attracts families so it is quiet and peaceful. The large indoor hot tub is wonderful.

    5
« Friendly staff, close to attractions »

Great hotel with amazing, kind, helpful staff! The hotel was close to all the attractions. Plus the hotel had fun things to do for my 3 year old: pickle ball, hot tub, playground. I would definitely return to this hotel when we come to Glenwood Springs again.

« Great Room and Breakfast »

Very comfortable room, large TV and fantastic breakfast. Breakfast area very pleasant with Very large TV's to enjoy the morning news. Only 2 blocks to bridge to town, so easy to walk to many eating places. Nice huge hot tub, horse shoe area and volleyball court.

    3
    « Ok, not great »

You could hear every sound your neighbors made (uncomfortable in some situations). Initially, I didn't have soap, and had to track down a maid to deliver some to me. Front Desk manager, however, was very courteous & gave me requested directions to selected sites in town.

    4
    « Decent Hotel »

We rented 3 of the larger suites. The rooms were very spacious and had 2 Queens in the main room and a 2nd bedroom with a Queen bed and TV. The rooms were all very clean and well appointed. The bathroom, despite being dated, was very large. There was an actual window which is something you don't see in a lot of Hotel bathrooms. The staff that checked us in and out were very nice however the older lady that actually checked us in didnt tell us anything about the hotel at all. No breakfast hours. We had no clue you even had a hot tub! We had asked for our checkout to be No Express so we could pay cash but the card was still charged. Pete was able to reverse the charge and we split the bill. Again, not a big deal but annoying. I am also a rewards member and there was no recognition nor were our rooms pre-registered. The parking lots were virtually empty when we got there but they were still unable to get our rooms all near each other. 2 were close but the 3rd was at the opposite end of our building. Not a huge deal but with what we were there to celebrate, it would have been nice to be closer. The worst thing for me was the eggs. They were the worst I have ever had in a breakfast. They were slimy and I couldn't bring myself to eat them. I would look into a different brand or style of eggs.

    « Good value/service accommodations »

We were in Glenwood on family business that made for factors beyond our control. The staff was understanding, compassionate and willing to accommodate our needs. The Antlers is well kept, comfortable and clean. We found the queen beds more comfortable than the kings. The breakfast was the usual for these type of facilities and everything was replenished frequently.

    4
    « comfortable »

The staff here is wonderful. The family suite with 3 beds was nice for traveling with my 2 teens so all 4 of us were together and not in separate rooms. The deadbolt didn't work the first night but was fixed before we returned from our next morning's activities. The bubbles on the hot tub didn't work due to (I think) a power outage that blew the pump. But the hotel clerk called the maintenance man back after hours to try and work on it, which was above and beyond. The breakfast was awesome and there was coffee and hot chocolate available all day. my kids are older but we were all tempted by the twirly slide in the little playground! Also, this hotel is just across the street from the shuttle to the hot springs pool - BONUS!

« Practical, clean and convenient »

We stayed two nights and had no complaints. The hotel simply hasn't been updated. That said, the rooms are clean and warm. The shower is hot, and the free breakfast is sufficient w really good coffee. The entire property is nice and located within walking distance of downtown if you're up to a mile or so. The staff was very pleasant.

« Okay Hotel - Beds no good »

I would say the hotel itself is decent, the beds are entirely too firm and caused a few sleepless nights. I would not stay at this hotel again based entirely on the bed comfort. The location is great, the rooms are average

    « Weekend getaway! »

The service at this hotel is very good. The location to everything GS has to offer is excellent, you can walk to downtown and the pool. I was not overly excited about the room, very basic, the room itself was clean but the bed was horrible. We didn't sleep well either night we were there. the room was also very dark, only small windows facing the East. We needed a small frig in the room and it did not come with one, I just assumed it did, next time I will check. The breakfast was mediocre at best and it's what I expected for a continental breakfast.

The second day returning for the day we encountered a very heavy perfume smell and asked for it not to be used again. We had to ask each day because of the change of staff every day. From that day on it seemed that the room was not vacuumed, and sheets were not changed every day. I feel that there should be more quality control, each day the room became less appealing.

Fantastic service and great location. Very close to downtown restaurants and short drive to the local hot springs! Staff was excellent and facilities were in great shape. We look forward to our next visit.

« Stay here while in Glenwood Springs ! »

I was in route to Denver, so my stay was only overnight. I wish I could have stayed much longer to experience Glenwood Springs. This Best Western was ideally located and everyone there was so helpful ! I called while driving in my car to set up the reservation and it could not have been easier. When arrived, check in was simple, as was the checkout. I didn't stay for breakfast, however, you could easily see that it was a full spread with lots to offer. The room and the amenities were all very nicely done in a very appropriate rustic theme. The water was hot and the linens clean :) Stay here and you will not be disappointed.

Great service, courteous check in, great quality for the value! The wi-fi works great even during peak times when everyone is at the hotel I was able to stream a HD video on youtube. The room was quiet and cleanliness was ensured.

    « Very Nice!!! »

The Antlers is very nice and a comfortable place to stay. It is in a great location, it's not far from downtown and close to the restaurants. The continental breakfast that was provided was great. The staff is friendly and we had a great stay.

    « Relaxing »

The Best Western Antlers hotel in Glenwood Springs, Co, was very comfortable. It was in a nice location, very clean and had a great continental breakfast. It accommodated us with our pets. The only suggestion we would give would be to have visitors with pets to be placed on the ground level.

    « Very Comfortable »

The Antlers is a very comfortable place to stay and the staff is excellent. The only thing that we ran across was the fact that we were told the Iron Mtn Hot Springs was only a couple of blocks away and in walking distance. We did walk it but it is more than a couple of blocks and we took a cab back to the hotel. We don't mind walking but it was at the end of our day and we were tired.

    « Great Room for $50!!! »

We are traveling across the country and I booked our room only a few hours before we arrived. I picked this hotel because of the price and the other positive reviews on Trip Advisor. I definitely got a bargain!! Room is large and my kids loved the rustic, mountain style of the room. Although it's an older hotel, it has a cool 60s ski lodge vibe look on the exterior.

    « Great room »

Great room, excellent staff! Very large room with fridge and microwave included. Very close to everything! Free shuttle from the train station. Within walking distance to historic Glenwood and both Hot Springs.

    « Quick Get Away »

Really loved the easy check in and the cleanliness of the room. What we didn't like was the thin walls where you could plainly hear people talking on both sides of our room, and the AC/Heat unit ran all night long even after adjusting the heat several times during the night. The bed was so so for comfort and the four cube like pillows were like sleeping on a rock. The pros are that the room was very clean, and had a fridg and micro, if that's any concession for no sleep, the hotel staff was very pleasant and the breakfast was exceptional.

    4
« Value for the price »

Excellent price for the value. The room was warm, so we kept the heat off. Quiet, walking distance to attractions, pleasant stay. The breakfast was typical and a bit below average. The bagel was the safe bet. We will stay here again and eat out.

    « Wouldn't stay anywhere else! »

The staff here was exceptional, desk clerk David went above and beyond. Made us feel very welcome and tended to our requests. He allowed us to stay a couple of extra hours in the lobby due to our train being delayed. The rooms were very clean and cozy. Breakfast was good and simple. Very clean eating area. I would highly recommend anyone to stay at the Antlers. Real close to the Glenwood Caverns and both hot springs, lots of places to eat around the hotel and Enterprise rental car facility is across the street.

Great value for the money. Nothing super fancy but plenty of space and clean. Friendly and nice staff. Tasty continental breakfast. Just stayed one night but it was a great place to stay, no major complaints.

Great little place to stay and move around. Near everything. Very clean. Good breakfast. Room was a little dark and towels small, but a very good deal for your money. Staff was amazingly attentive and courteous!

    « Comfortable and attractive room--good value »

My wife and I stayed in Glenwood Springs for a two night getaway. This was our first time at the hotel. Our room was attractive. Good, firm mattress and comfortable pillows. Decor was rustic, with a vertical log headboard and wooden slat ceilings. Carpet was in good shape and there was a nice size flat screen TV. WiFi signal was strong. The continental breakfast is very good with many more choices than standard--sausage, eggs, waffles, plus the usual items. The dining area is attractive, with high ceilings and lots of light. This is an old-style motel with separate buildings and outside entrances. Walls are a bit thin, though it is quiet at night. Water pressure in the shower is light, but compensated by a pulsating shower-head. The heat unit doesn't have a thermostat, so you have to turn it on and off. In spite of these issues, this is a good place to stay and is well priced. Staff was friendly. We would stay here again.

« Stay at Best Western Antlers »

It was a beautiful hotel. Still decorated for Christmas. This was my first time to visit the state of Colorado. I was impressed with the proximity of the restaurants and places to visit. The snow on the ground was beautiful. I have never seen that much snow. A hot breakfast to wake up to was wonderful. If I should ever return to Colorado I would stay here again.

« Wonderful staff and location... »

We are headed there tomorrow and called to confirm room and pet fees. Wonderful staff and they are getting us a nice room downstairs away from traffic for the pup. Also nice breakfast and near town to walk vs driving. We expect a very nice week at this hotel and will stay again often. thanks Steve and Annette

    « I literally cried »

After driving 12 hours we are told they double booked. We had no room which was supposed to be the suit. Well after an hour, several people and lots of genuine tears they get us into a plain room VS this huge suite the reason why I came. I felt bad for the people behind me who were flat out told they had to find a different place. I would have been devistated as I esearch thouroly where I go. BYW its not like they were sent off with a several hundred dollar voucher to make up for it. THey were just sent away. I did get my first night at the ghetto suit free and then moved to a nice one. Breakfast was off the chart awesome for a motel. They just should have understood what a traveler feels like after finally getting there and told "sorry" with no compensation and should be overcompensation for the nightmare of finding lodging when you are a stranger.

« OK hotel but not great »

This was an OK stay but we would probably not stay again, especially in the winter. Hotel is several buildings. We had to walk outside in the bitter cold to get to breakfast. Breakfast was nice and staff maintaining breakfast was friendly. Check-in staff pleasant and friendly. Check-out staff just handed us our hotel statement and said bye. Not unfriendly, just indifferent. Most hotels ask something like "How was your stay?" Heating unit in room was VERY old. We could not keep the room at a comfortable temperature to sleep. Got up during the night several times because it got too hot or too cold. Room was clean. Decor was as expected at a hotel called Antlers and seemed appropriate for the area. Did not receive any recognition as a platinum rewards member (room upgrade, recognition gift/points). I made the reservation late in the day online so I know better (non-suite) rooms were available but we were given a single queen with no refrigerator or microwave.

« Adequate but not impressive »

I'd reviewed Glenwood Spg options and this one had the finest reviews for the price. I was under impressed. Staff was very courteous and helpful but the room wasn't very clean, the hot tub was across the "campus", there wasn't an inside pool, outside entrance to the rooms and connecting buildings were not well shoveled and very hazardous for walking. Walls seemed quite thin as I could hear the neighbors in the bathroom and their normal conversation. Breakfast was a huge dissapointment with only wrinkled apples for fruit options and rather limited other options. Thankfully I brought my own fruit and green tea. Next time I'll try another place.

« Great place to stay »

Great location to walk downtown, to the historic Glenwood Hot Springs pool, and also to the new hot springs. The owners are super friendly. The hotel is clean, comfortable, affordable, and we have stayed there more than once. We will definitely stay there again. Especially nice is the breakfast that comes with the stay. It was really a full meal. Other hotels, even great ones in Santa Fe, NM, have such buffet breakfasts, but this far exceeds any other that I have ever experienced. They had scrambled eggs, Canadian bacon, hot oatmeal, and other prepared menu items in addition to the standard cold cereal, yogurt, fruit, and waffles of most other hotels. The staff went out of their way to get us to the train to go home. The only suggestion I have would be to have the hotel room ready for train travelers as soon as they arrive, if they know in advance they are coming by train. It is hard waiting for an hour for the room to be ready when you don't have a car. You're stuck in the lobby. The train arrives at a regular time every day. That could be arranged, I think, with very little trouble. Thank you for a great stay!

« 5 year anniversary celebrated with Toddlers »

We took the train down to Glenwood from Denver and upon our arrival, Peter picked us up from the curb and brought us to the hotel. He checked us in within minutes and we were settled in our hotel room within a half hour. The beds were super comfy (better than the ones we have at home!) and we slept like babies! Room service hooked us up with a lot of coffee and a like-new clean room- so be sure to tip well!!! The hot tub was beautiful and well kept and HUGE! Did not get to use the outdoor pool as it is closed for the season. But we cannot wait to come back to give it a try!

« Great value, clean refurbished rooms »

I was impressed during a one night stay here. The room was clean and newly renovated. It has a microwave, fridge and the bathroom even has a heater fan. My only complaint is that it was difficult to control the temperature in the room. However, that is often the case with window A/C-heat units. Will definitely stay here during our next trip to Glenwood Springs.

« Great value in January! »

Stayed in Rm 264. Little bit of a walk to breakfast and hot tub, but certainly doable in flipflops. Hot tub is huge and nice. Room was really nice for the off-season rate I paid. Breakfast was very good: scrambled and hard boiled eggs, ham, yogurt, bagels, apples and oranges, and other items that I didn't eat. Super friendly and helpful staff.

We really enjoyed our short stay at the Antlers. They have a great breakfast, two beautifully decorated rooms in which to eat or just relax by the fire. Hotel staff were all very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be making a return trip to this hotel.

« Clean and comfortable stay »

We really enjoyed our stay at Best Western Antlers. It was close to attractions we wanted to see, Enterprise Car Rental right across the street, clean room, comfy bed, and great breakfast. The staff was friendly and free ride to and from the train station was very helpful.

« Paper thin walls can be very noisy »

Other then the paper thin walls this is a decent hotel. If you have a room next to the stairs bring ear plugs or have a lot of patience because it gets noisy.Mostly because of selfish humans stomping up and down for no reason at all. Or just talking extremely loud. The staff is friendly and helpful. The location is probably one of the best in Glenwood Springs. Our rooms were clean and the beds were decent too. Haven't decided if I will be back again or not. I wasn't really happy with this stay.

« Always a great place to stay in Glenwood »

I've stayed at this hotel several times over the last 17 years, and I have never been disappointed. The location is great, easy to get to the hot springs and the main strip. Nice rustic feel, the rooms have always been clean and non-smoking. I will continue to stay at the Antlers each time I come to Glenwood for the Hot Springs. Hotels are always a gamble, and this one is one of the few I haven't been burned on.

« Great Place to Stay »

We've stayed at the Antlers for years! We love the rooms and the indoor hot tub. It has only improved with a larger breakfast area that includes more seating and a better layout! We also enjoyed the expanded choices at breakfast! It is also exciting that they have added partnerships with the Hot Springs Pool and Spa. The discount on the pool was much appreciated!

    « Very Poor Service »

Poor device ruined our trip. travel about 20 weeks of the year. Our families stayed in Glenwood New Years week at the Hotel Colorado and loved the experience about $125 a night. The Antlers looked promising so we booked out last night there in the hopes of making it our location for our annual family ski trip. In short, we couldn't have been more disappointed with the service at the Antlers. We were traveling with my 80 year old disabled father in a wheelchair. We arrived at the Antlers at noon hoping to check in early. That request was answered with a quick and not so pleasant NO. When we asked if they could hold out luggage until check-in so we could return our rental car, that was also answered with a NO. So, our family and my disabled father sat in the lobby waiting. After speaking with housekeeping, the desk manager said our room would be ready at 2:00. We loaded up for a late lunch and returned at 1:45 hoping it would be ready a little early. They then informed us it would be ready at 2:30 instead of 2:00. So we waited again. At 2:30, we were ready to check-in and we're now informed that the room wouldn't even be ready at the stated check-in time of 3:00, that it would be 3:15 or 3:30 before our room was ready. Finally, after almost an hour and a half of waiting in the lobby with my disabled father, they allowed us to check-in. The front desk needs an extreme makeover when it comes to customer service and general respect for the elderly. Don't waste your time and money booking here. Hotel Colorado is nicer, about the same price, and has fantastic customer service and true respect for the elderly.

« At best an average motel »

I would have given this 2.5 stars... First the good parts: 1. Good service 2. Awesome breakfast Now, the bad part (the room): 1. The rooms were very motel like... were very dated... 2. The shower forced water out with so much pressure that it actually hurt 3. The room design has the sink area common with the room. If you are up early and want to brush your teeth, you will wake up anyone else in the room. 4. The rooms are inter-connectable... while this is good if your neighbour is family... it is not good since noise filters into the other room. 5. Toiletry looked very cheap...

« Great resting place in a busy town »

Considering it was holiday season and crowded, the price for this clean and comfortable room was just right. The bed was very comfortable and the room a bit larger than most. For me, these things matter. My only criticism is the refrigerator froze all the food, and the microwave was not efficient. I use these things when I travel, so I was disappointed, but it was not a deal breaker. I'd stay at this hotel again for sure.

    4
    « Great breakfast! »

This is our fourth time staying at the Best Western Antlers. We love the larger rooms with three queen beds, very comfortable for our growing family! They have a great hot breakfast and the lobby is beautiful!

    4
« Rustic touches, good facilities »

We had a pleasant stay in a three bed suite, which had a mini-fridge and microwave. It's quite nice for a motel, and decent as a hotel: clean, rustic natural wood accents and furnishings, easily adjustable heating (though the fan is a little loud), good pressure and plenty of hot water in the shower. The included breakfast is varied and abundant, maybe not the best food ever but plenty of choices, including scrambled or boiled eggs, sausage patties, fresh waffles, and oatmeal, as well as standard continental breakfast fare. We stayed in the Caribou Lodge, which was quiet and close to the main building. The lobby and dining areas are comfortably decorated, with fireplaces in both. A great place to stay to access the hot springs (we especially loved Iron Mountain), downtown, and the Adventure Park.

« Very affordable and clean »

This was our first stay at Best Western in Glenwood Springs. We normally stay at the Hot Spring Pool and Lodge for easy access to the pool, but since they're prices have gotten outrageous we decided to give BW a try and we LOVE it! It's very affordable and in walking distance of the hot springs pool. Me and my husband had our own room and my son and his friend had their own space. Bed was comfortable and my own little enjoyment was a window in the bathroom. I was in a room with 2 teenage boys and my husband so that was a bonus)!!! We will definitely stay again! Cant beat the price!

    « hit the spot »

My king room was nothing fancy, but the location was great (5 minute walk to the springs and 10 minute walk to downtown restaurants). The bed was comfortable, the hotel was quiet, and I got a good night's sleep. The staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was better than similar hotels and set me up well for a good day of skiing at Sunlight (easy 20 minute drive away).

« Great place to stay »

« Best Western Antlers - A Home Run for Glenwood Springs! »

We have been staying at the BW Antlers for several years now and we are never disappointed. In the summer the pool is open and the newly remodeled lobby/breakfast area is beautiful. Great value for the price - definitely a treasure in Glenwood.

    « Good location »

We stayed here for 3 nights to explore the local area. We booked a room with two Queen beds but were given a Suite with the same in the Mousse block. The hotel did not appear to have many guests staying at this low season time. The reception staff were very helpful. The room was excellent although dark and could do with and coat of brighter paint. The first two days were great but on the third day we had neighbours whose normal voices could be heard through the cardboard thin walls. It was not their fault, unfortunately they did stay up late which did not enhance our stay. The breakfast was excellent. The local area is really good and much can be reached on foot if you prefer. The local tourist information office near about 10 minutes walk away near the station was very helpful in providing trail locations.

    4
« Our family enjoyed our stay »

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Unfortunately, we found out the last day we had a mouse in our room. But it was to be expected since its up in the mountains and it is a bad season for them. Otherwise, everything is clean and the breakfast is good. We will be back.

« Great location for Hot Springs »

Got a great rate on Groupon. Room was good size, dressing area nice with extra counter space in bathroom area. Microwave and mini fridge. Breakfast ends pretty promptly at 9:30, so don't be late. Front desk staff very nice. Good walk to hot springs, not too long.

    « Weekend Getaway »

Hotel was great and ground are very well kept. Make sure when you book it's not a pet room unless you are taking a pet. Our first room reeked of pet urine however the front desk moved us right away and the second room was much nicer. Very friendly employees and great location.

    1
    « Noise! »

If you like hearing your neighbors talk like they are in your room then this is the place for you. Walls are paper thin and it was not just our room we ask others and they shared the same problem (they left the TV on all night). I shared my complaint with the staff and they did not care.

    2
« One of better Best Westerns »

First time staying here, overall a nice property, but old, and needs a lot of maintenance work done on the rooms. I had room in the back to get away from street, Interstate and train noise. Room was not cleaned properly during the two day stay. Plenty of evidence of spiders and other insects in the room. The free breakfast is exactly what you get, no quality food, and very small portions.

« Beautiful grounds; great staff »

Excellent hotel and great location; staff went out of way to accommodate and were very helpful with questions about the area and use of rewards points - only issue, beds too high; felt like stepstool needed to get in/out of bed.

    « Antlers »

This motel sits on beautiful, well maintained grounds in a quiet part of town backing to the mountain. Our room was nicely refurbished. Exceeded our expectations in all aspects! Would like to come back in the winter.

    « Excellent Weekend Getaway »

Best Western Antlers new ownership is reason enough to come back again and again. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms, lobby, pool, and grounds are sparkle. I wouldn't stay anywhere else when I find myself in Glenwood Springs. It is in a great location, walkable to the Adventure Park and Tram, the Glenwood Springs Pool, food, shopping and more. The best part is two blocks away is Splendor Mountain Spa which has amazing spa services.

We love coming to Glenwood springs best western has been fabulous to us and our family on several visits. The handicap room is great access to the onsite pool and hot tub. Room could be bigger. I couldn't ask for a friendlier staff and service! Good complimentary breakfast! Great views. We will be back.

    « Fall trip »

The hotel is in a good location. We booked a room with a microwave/fridge but were told it was not available. Should not put it on booking websites then if you do not get it. The room was standard but the lighting was really poor and it was dark. Other than that it was fine. Another family member had a really nice room with outdoor patio and good location. We didn't use the pool which looked fine or hot tub ( inside) so no comment. The breakfast was fine other than the other reviews stated they were out of oatmeal, eggs and bacon. Timing is everything here. Early is better like all hotels who offer breakfast buffets. We were able to get the eggs and bacon but it was pretty congested trying to get the food. Otherwise I thought it was ok. Didn't like the fact they did not have a in room safe. I think the rooms vary widely depending on which building you stay in. My suggestion would be to mark parking spots for the rooms so you could park close to them. Otherwise you are parking and walking a ways. But all in all I would stay here again. It worked just fine for our trip.

« Soaking with a view of the mountains. »

I agreed on the hotel based on what my travelling companions suggested. Guess I had visions of soaking in the hot tub at night looking at the mountains...Well this hot tub is in the same building that houses a laundry mat for guests...not appealing and very old looking. The pool was luke warm and nothing special. We were promised a room with a fridge and microwave, but that is not what we got. We did get a room that had a bonus bedroom which worked well for our group of 3. The breakfast is nothing special. I guess I don't trust eggs in the shape of a disc as being "real". Otherwise all was very basic. For $150 a night I guess I expected more from this location. It is walking distance from all spots in Glenwood. You can cross the street to the Ramada and catch a bus for $1 to take you all over town. For $7 more you can get up to Aspen. Glenwood is a great girls getaway spot.
