We stayed at this hotel because it was close to my mom's house. She was in her last few days of life and passed away during our stay. We came in late the first night and was checked in by a rude employee. The room was a disaster. We ran out of hot water virtually every morning for a week. When I complained, I was told “yeah that happens”. The shower head was broken so more water dribbled out than came out of the shower head. The towels felt like sand paper. The light in the bathroom was broken so it stayed on all of the time. We were extending our stay day by day because of my mom. The morning my mom passed away, we extended our stay one more night before going over to her house. My mom passed away in the morning a couple of hours later. They refused to cancel the reservation we had just booked. Heartless! Do yourself a favor and don't stay here.

Not of fan of being negative, I will only leave reviews for positive stays but this stay was rough. It all started with a very bad check-in process and then being charged extra for a 6 year old and an 11 month old. I booked this hotel same day. We were traveling home and decided to visit friends and family in Glendora. We had been told positive things about the hotel so I was confident in our booking. Upon arriving I was asked for our deposit and card for the room. I booked a military/government rate since my husband was military. I was asked for government ID and I told the employee my husband is military and in the car with the kids if he needed to switch the name on the reservation he could and my husband could come in. We moved past that and to the deposit which has to be cash. I told him I did not have cash but he could put it on my debit card. He said cash only and that the liquor store across the street has an ATM. I asked if I could just cancel my reservation and he said not with him since I made it on the Best Western website. I was told to call their customer care. Which I did and was told they couldn't cancel our reservation and the hotel would have to do it for me but they would call them on my behalf. I received a call 20 min later that I would not be refunded if I canceled since it is outside the cancellation period of 24 hours but they will put my deposit on my debit card. At this point I just needed a room to nurse my daughter and let my kids sleep. We went back and I sent my husband to check in since he is military. He was told that I had to sign the papers. My whole family just went in together to do the check in. We were then told we may want to exit the back so management didn't see us, since the room could only have two people. That night I received a text to please come to the front desk to pay for the "extra guests." My 11 month old and 6 year old. When I asked for clarification because they are my kids and most hotels charge 12 years old and older, I was told it is a franchise and they have their own policy. I went ahead and paid. It was the most uncomfortable stay I have ever had. I felt like every little thing we did was being watched. We weren't even in the hotel for 12 hours. My husband has been contacted via Twitter and we were told that we can call customer care and that they would look start to look into our stay.

The standard procedure in such cases is to confer with management regarding what can be done to resolve the error, as our staff is not authorized to make decisions that conflict with policy. Regarding the deposit, I sincerely apologize if this was not mentioned during your reservation. Our policy has been that due to an increasing number of customers who weren't able to return the keys, damaged some of our things in the room. With that, we created a protocol that makes the customers pay. During check out without damages we return the deposit right away.On behalf of our entire staff, we thank you for your business and we hope to see you again when your travels bring you back to the area!
Great location, Big rooms, Comfortable bed, very Clean and a kind acoomodating staff. Short distance from highways. within 5 minutes of beautiful downtown Glendora. Recommend this location.Will return.

Let me first say that when I checked in, the gentleman at the front desk was friendly. When I got to my room we started wiping down surfaces with disinfectant wipes because of the whole Covid 19 thing. You would think that during these times, that your room would be completely clean and sanitized upon check in. Some of the areas I wiped down were so bad it turned my white wipes black. There was dust so thick that it was obvious those areas hadn't been touched in at least a month. The desk clerk offered my another room but I declined, I asked him why he thinks any other room would be cleaner. I did not want to clean another room. I asked to see a manager and was told there was not one on site and there was no way to get in touch with her, but I was told that there would be a manager onsite the next morning at 7:00am. no such luck. The front desk clerk kind of laughed and said it's Saturday he won't be in on the weekend. I was scheduled to stay here 5-7 days but I checked out the very next morning. One other thing, they don't wipe down the luggage carts after each use. Good thing I had my own wipes. I would not reccomend this property!

Stayed one night in January 2020. It's a typical best western, big room, big comfy bed, decent bathroom etc etc. Standard BW breakfast. Scrambled eggs plus sausage patty things. Plenty of cereals, toast, pastries, fruit etc. And of course waffles too. Good price. Would happily stay again.

Great staff, fantatically clean, perfect amenities. The property is in a perfect location, close to all, restaurants, bars, stores, shopping are all very accessable. The pool, spa and weight room are up to date and operational.
Jet tub was awesome. My boyfriend and I were on a mini vacation and we loved the quietness and the location. If we ever return we will definitely stay at the hotel again. The hostess were very kind as well.
Visiting area to help decorate a Rose Parade float for 2020 Parade. Very nice, clean, warm place on an otherwise cold, rainy night. Nicely deco a rated for holidays, room well appointed. Beautiful view of mountains from upstairs room. Free breakfast great!
Not the ‘Best' Best Western Plus. The hotel chain is my personal favorite but this was not the Plus I have experienced everywhere else. Hospitality isn't easy but this hotel was just off the mark and shortcut what other PLUS hotels deliver
Best Western in Glendora on Route 66 is the best. The staff is very nice and the cleanliness of the rooms were spectacular. The breatkfast was amazing, a variety of food and beverage. The dining area was kept very clean
We ate here Sunday, The service was great, drinks, chips and salsa came right away. Our food came piping hot! The service is always friendly and spot on! We enjoy coming here on the weekend. I was in town for a few days to visit Grandchildren and found this to be a very nice place to stay. Everyone one was very nice, rooms were clean, and location was central to the city of Glendora. I would recommend this property to anyone needing to stay in the area.
Really good place. They cool they have breakfast. When the maintenance workers are there they do a good job female staff.I like that they are so polite I sent a staff member flowers for her good job. I felt comfortable. You dont have to leave the room when they clean you can just sit on your bed watch TV then when they do the bed get your ass up lol so they can change it for you. They have an alarm clock,a coffee machine in the bathroom, and when you ask the ladies for more coffee it's not a problem they give you more. If you want room service it's your choice they give you the right to decline and dont have someone trying to break into your room that you paid for.The females encourage you to have room service they are so nice so it's not a problem when they come to do it and will ask what time is best for you. NO banging on doors they just call you.They have a pool I never used it they have one though, 2 soda machines might have more I just seen the one upstairs and downstairs. Good place to stay. Super clean! Close to everything! Staff was so sweet and very welcoming. I am a total germaphobe but this place was so clean and smelt so fresh I was totally at peace. The jet tub in the room was amazing and also very clean! I normally would not feel comfortable but it was so clean I had to try and I was not disappointed! Very relaxing after months of work stress! There where extra towels so you could enjoy the jet tub and still shower without having to use a wet towel which was nice. Refrigerator and microwave in the room. We will definitely be staying there again.
Nice, small hotel in Azusa. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The room was super clean and comfortable. The hot breakfast had myriad choices (eggs, sausage, pancakes, waffles, fruit, juice, coffee, variety of breads, yogurt...), and was all displayed nicely. The hotel is fairly close (not walking distance) to APU, and easy to find and get to. It's on Route 66 (hence the name), which is pretty busy, but I felt safe and comfortable staying here. One caveat is that they put a $100 damage deposit on top of the room charge. It's refundable, but takes 5-7 days to be returned. This is probably reflective of the type of clientele they have had in the past, but I found that all of the guests were neatly dressed and friendly at breakfast, and there were no parties that I heard during the night. All in all, I recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

The Hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff was awesome. I will return and use this hotel again. I was surprised by how attractive the place was and how big the rooms are! I enjoyed my stay and this will be the Hotel I use every time I am in Pasadena.
Everything about the hotel was expected except for a couple in room issues. The TV remote wouldn't turn on or off the TV. A coffee mug in the room had a film of grime inside it. It obvisouly wasn't changed by whoever cleaned the room. Gross! Beyond those things the hotel was fine. It was easy to get checked in and out. Breakfast was good and convenient.
Most excellent hotel. The crew members are all fantastic, went out of their way to accomodate my early morning departures, checkins, and checkouts. Had a quick and wonderful experience with friendly professional staff, who remembered me by name from a previous visit. The bed is super comfortable and the internet service is quick and efficient making my stay very enjoyable!
I really enjoyed my stay. I was in town to visit a sick family member and it was great to return to my room after a physically and emotionally draining day. The room was spacious, comfortable, clean; beds were very comfortable. The staff was great and a good selection for breakfast. I'll be staying here again.
I took a group of 16 athletes to a race in California. The staff were all very helpful. They made grab bags for breakfast because we had to leave before breakfast was served. They allowed me to have two rooms check out late so my athletes could come back after the race and shower before their flights. They even provided us with lots of extra towels for those rooms so that we didn't have to share. Everyone from the front desk to the cleaning lady were super nice and helpful.
We had driven by this place many times on our frequent trips to Glendora. We decided to give it a try and were pleasantly surprised. This hotel is obviously competing with other Hampton Inn or Fairfield hotels. We found our stay was better than most of those chain places. We especially liked having a blanket on the bed instead of the hot comforters at most other places. The breakfast was very good. Our only complaint was the breakfast layout was confusing. Many items were not next to others where you would expect to find them.
The rooms were nice, the employees courteous and professional, and the cost was reasonable. The hotel was easy to get to and there were plenty of good places to dine close by. I would highly recommend this Hotel!

It was ok here and I stay at a lot of Best Westerns. The gal at the front desk ate the last cookie. Lamp in our room broken and never fixed. Breakfast disappointing -- even for Best Western. They need to up their game especially for the price we paid!
I am writing this review while I am setting in my room , I have been in this hotel since Monday and it is Thursday now , they haven't changed the sheets not even one time (one sheet has a stain and is still on my bed) , they only reorganized the beds , although I requested this before I left to the beach this morning . After we arrived 30 minuets ago I found out that they didn't leave us any towels , they didn't clean the bathroom, they didn't vacuum the room , the didn't leave us any toilet paper and the only thing that they did was reorganize the beds with the same sheets . Rachel the night front desk girl saw the room and was nice enough to give us some towels and toilet paper. This is my second time to stay at this hotel but would be my last for me , my family and all my friends , worst experience for the money we paid.
Excellent Glendora motel. Easy to get to from the freeway and is within walking distance of downtown Glendora. Staff very accommodative, very clean quiet place. This is the classic best western motel. A good place to stay.

We were in Glendora for a family funeral. This hotel was chosen because it was close to church. What a pleasant surprise. It was very clean, staff was helpful, rooms were great, front desk person very helpful when we ended to extend trip in getting us a room very close to where we were. Great choices for breakfast. We would definitely stay here again.
We recently booked a stay here with our travel agent at AAA. Upon arrival, we realized that this property did not deserve a three diamond rating – two diamonds would have been generous. It had a dismal appearance and butted up against an auto body repair facility. To our further dismay, the front desk staff proved to be quite incompetent. In fact, one woman in particular was nasty, arrogant, and full of misinformation. Although breakfast was included with our stay, the breakfast area was not appealing and didn't seem sanitary, so we left and ate elsewhere for breakfast. Although we tried several times to discuss the many problems with the manager by telephone, the staff consistently informed us that she was never available. The one time that we were able to reach the manager, she told us that she would arrange a time to talk with the owner, but that never materialized either. We've since documented our concerns regarding this property with AAA and with Corporate Best Western. Our advice to those traveling in this area: Stay Away From This Property.
My girls and I checked into the hotel for a two night stay and the following morning we left early to Universal Studios. When we arrived back, late and very tired, we tried our key and when it didn't work we went to the front desk to reactivate our card to find out that we were locked out and unable to enter because apparently the manager did not like my check in paperwork. So instead of call me on the number that I left she thought it was best to lock us out. She left impossible instruction in order to reenter our room and would not answer or return any calls made to her by her employee. We were locked out for over an hour and the only reason that we were allowed back in the room was because I called the Corp Office, who called the hotel and they let us in. I asked numerous times for the manager to call me so that I can have her explain the meaning behind her actions and she has never returned my call. I am very disappointed in our stay there and will not ever spend my hard earned money at her hotel
I always stay here when visiting family in Glendora after a couple of bad experiences at other independent lower class places. It is very clean, quiet, great breakfasts, and responsive, friendly staff. I felt very safe staying here alone. My only problem during this stay was with some automatic sensors that have been placed on the lights at the entrance to the room. I do not recall this problem with past stays, so think they may be newly installed - or maybe they don't operate correctly in this room. The overhead lights in the room are operated by switches with sensors at the door to the room. The problem is that in the middle of the night if you get up to go to the bathroom, the movement triggers the sensors and the lights blast on all throughout the room waking anyone in it. Luckily, I was alone but after triggering the lights which woke me up completely, I had to figure out how to turn them off and then couldn't get back to sleep. When I mentioned this to the staff, they immediately came to my room to try to shut off the sensor part of the light. A valiant effort and I appreciate the quick response, but it didn't work. My solution was to cover the sensors with some duct tape that I carry and usually use to cover all the annoying lights from TV etc. Maybe I'm overly sensitive, but there should be a solution for those of us who don't want the lights to turn on automatically at all times of day or night. My recommendation to any traveler is to carry a little bit of duct tape or other tape with you when you travel!
My husband and I were in need of a hotel to stay in due to car troubles. We are Best Western "Gold" members and we like to stay in Best Westerns when we can.....depending on their prices. This BW was very pricey but we didn't have the luxury this time to shop around. It was located by the auto shop we were having our car towed to. The assistant manager took off a few dollars for the night....but this was the normal discount given for a senior or for a government employee so he really wasn't doing us any favor and he didn't mention it, I had to ask for it. We had to extend our stay another night and this time we dealt with Summer, the front desk manager. She was really rude and didn't even "pretend" to have sympathy for our situation. She was more interested in training the new girl that she forgot that she had customers standing in front of her. Later during her shift, we passed by the front desk (a couple times...in and out) and she didn't even smile or acknowledge us. In my opinion, she is in the wrong job!
We have always had a positive experience. Friendly, professional staff. Very clean. Convenient. I would definitely recommend the hotel to friends. Cookies when we arrived. Has a small hotel, homes style feel.
Our stay was very comfortable. Hotel lobby, rooms and dining area are very clean and up-to-date decor. We were offered warm cookies and wine between 5:00-7:00pm. It was quiet and the breakfast was fresh and good and offered various food options to choose from.
Tina and Amanda are Amazing!!! The beds are comfortable, the staff is awesome, I highly recommend anyone in the area to stay here. The atmosphere is like home they treat you like family. You also will receive a goody bag with snacks of your choice when you check in. Love this place and can't wait to return back.

For a Hotel on a busy street is a really good for a night with your Loved one or a weekend get away with the family. Breakfast is full of good things to eat, lots of choices to eat. Rooms a quiet and clean. You can't even hear your neighbors.
This was a great hotel very convenient for our visit to family. Clean comfortable rooms (great air conditioner). Courteous staff. Fine breakfast (good waffles) and good beds. Pretty spacious rooms. There was a noisy group that met in the lobby for a while one night but only for 15-20 minutes.
This BW Plus was recently refurbished and is a pleasant place to stay. The location is on the Route 66 Highway, which cuts through that area. I found the staff to be quite nice and helpful with directions, as well as providing with me sundries.
Do NOT stay at this hotel if you might need to cancel your reservation. I called the hotel one week before my stay and was told that because I booked online, I was unable to cancel. I booked the hotel on Best Western Glendora, their website, so this made no sense to me at all. I called corporate, talked with a supervisor and because the independently owned hotel would not honor my cancellation, there was nothing they could do. The owners are very cheap, rude and unhelpful. I travel weekly, staying hotels 3-4 nights per week. I will never stay at a BW again due to this experience.
We went on a hiking/bungee jump excursion in Azusa. We found a Best Western three miles away from our starting point in Glendora, since all the hotels in Azusa seemed sketchy. I'm a BW fan, because we usually know what we're in for, at least. The area was nothing to write home about, but the hotel was decent. The manager allowed us to park our motorcycle under a surveillance camera to keep an eye on it, which was greatly appreciated. The complimentary chilled water in the lobby was a lifesaver, since the AC in the room didn't work. They told us if you set the temperature under 68, it would ice over and have the opposite effect of heating the room. It didn't sound right, but ok, at least the windows in the room opened to get some needed circulation. Then we just guzzled down the water from the lobby. The complimentary breakfast was one of the better ones. They had quite a bit to choose from compared to some other BW breakfasts I've been to. The price was not bad, but not the best. Besides the AC, we were happy with the spacious room with all the amenities we needed (to include the fridge).
Will stay here again. Very nice hotel. Staff members were all quite efficient and helpful. Room and bathroom very clean. Breakfast was available earlier than noted, which was nice. Hotel is conveniently located. Freeways not too far away. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
It is pricey but very clean, breakfast is always good, with a wide variety of breakfast items. Wifi is included in the price and if you need anything special when you call the front desk it is almost there immediately. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Reserved a handicap room (116) months in advance after checking to make sure everything would be in order as I am physically disabled. Upon arrival, the bathroom room door opens toward the entry and cannot remain open unless propped open and then only to 45 degrees. If closed, it would be hard for me to open. So door remains open but a tight opening between door and wall, which had scrape marks on it. So to go from /to bathroom was a tight space to maneuver in wheelchair or walker. Spacious bathroom but grab bars only on left/wall of toilet and in back of toilet which is ADA compliance....but WHO can grab the back bar unless you're a monkey. Who determines these things if not in a w/c or with a walker? I extended my right arm and still could not reach the sink counter, so each time my caregiver had to help me. Many other glitches in the room, but the accessibility issues the worst, plus no manager on site or accessible. Don't stay here if you are physically disabled. Lower bed height (25:) was fine but furniture has nothing to do with ADA......see how crazy rules can be?
A wedding we attended reserved a block of rooms at this hotel so we booked three rooms for our family for one night. The hotel itself is fine--rooms are a bit dark (both the color scheme and the small-ish windows), and it's quiet. Shower was wonderful; breakfast was adequate. My major concern/complaint was with check-in, when the poor clerk simply could not get things straight. I was checking in for all three rooms, and he mixed up the keys, prompting me to scurry around the first floor testing each set and setting things right. The poor guy also sniffled throughout the fifteen-minute process, which made the encounter rather unpleasant. Once in, we were fine, but it wasn't a great welcome to the site, and I spent the weekend wondering if I had contracted whatever was ailing him.
Was in Socal for labor day weekend & hadn't prebooked room(s). Big mistake! Booked this room via another website. Room was over 20 miles from where I needed to be, but it was available, was a chain I'm a loyalty member of & had good reviews. Not sure what was going on the night I was there. No way did the room I stay in warrant the high marks others had been giving it. Huge bug greeted me in the bathroom! Decor was seriously dated. Carpet is dark, but can't hide the multiple stains. Bedding also had stains. Bed was not that comfortable. I'm certain nightly rate was jacked up due to holiday, but I was tired & desperate. Ckd in after 2am. Ckd out before 9am. Front desk did what he could, but was putting out a handful of fires that night - apparently another couple had similar insect issue & was relocated to another room. Then folks started showing up claiming they had made reservations through other travel cites, only to be told place had been sold out.. I've been disappointed with best western hotels before. Quality of this brand has significantly declined over the years. I'm a loyalty member, but I think I will have to remove myself from their program. I'm tired of the hit & miss aspect - especially at the rates they're currently charging.
My stayed at Best Western Hotel was for 1 night but it has been the best stay at a hotel for me and my overall experiences at other Hotels. I will recommend this Hotel to all my friends and relatives.
This hotel is well placed and quiet. Close to Azusa Pacific University. close to lots of shopping . Helpful staff. There is local transportation. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. I recommend this hotel highly. The free breakfast was delicious and a plus. Food was high quality. This hotel is well manged.
I like this chain in general and this hotel is a good value for the price. The rooms are comfortable and functional enough, but the decor is dark and dated an some of the mattresses sub-par. Also, the lighting in the rooms makes it impossible to read at night. The staff is very helpful and professional.
Very friendly staff. Very clean and accommodating so glad I came across this place to stay after a stressful day. I would highly recommend staying here if your in the area. The offer a nice continental type breakfast
In a very difficult time, the front desk person was very kind, and even called the manager to okay a discounted rate, to coincide with the previous night's rate. It's a clean hotel, with a decent breakfast (rather typical), in a good location.
The hotel is clean, quiet, and moderately priced. I enjoyed my stay, and I had intended to book 8 straight weeks of business travel. I asked the clerk whether I could store my 1 suitcase for the weekend between stays. Unlike any other hotel I have stayed in, this hotel could not accommodate my bag. Actually the desk clerk was not able to answer this request without first phoning the hotel manager. The manager declined my request due to ongoing construction. I'm simply sorry that a 50-room hotel has no space to accommodate such a simple request. I need small requests to be satisfied from hotels where I want to conduct business travel, and this refusal showed the height of inconsideration for the needs of their customer. I will not return to be served in this manner, and another hotel will earn my $6000 in lodging.
Hotel is clean and delivers as expected. We've stayed here several times and never have any problems. Pool is in the back which makes for a quite setting. Made our reservations directly on the BW website. They were nice enough to hold our room for a very late check in.
This hotel is in a good location, has clean room & common areas. Friendly staff. Breakfast is sufficient with healthy options. Guessing the relatively high price reflects the lack of viable lodging options in Glendora.
The hotel was conveniently located in Glendora near shops and restaurants. Depending on which direction you are going, it is a little difficult getting into the entrance. We could connect to the internet on our phones but not on a laptop. The complimentary breakfast was good but it was the same every day.
Disappointed with prices listed on Best western site. They didn't match up with what was offered. They didn't have available any king rooms at this hotel (location), when their website said they did. :(

I stayed at this hotel for a couple of days back in March. It's a nice, newer looking, clean hotel right in the midst of a mostly business oriented location on Hwy 66 in Glendora. It is not, however, within a reasonable walking distance of the old downtown Glendora area, unless you really enjoy walking. My room, located on the second floor, was literally an arms-length away from the elevator door. I was at first concerned that the elevator's use would create undue noise entering my room, especially at night. It didn't. Either this was taken into account when the hotel was built, or nobody used the elevator during the evening hours. I cannot say which it was. The rooms were large enough not to feel cramped. It was clean and contained all the amenities you expect in today's up-to-date hotels, i.e. microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, etc. The bathroom lights were on some kind of gradual brightness mode. When I first turned them on I thought they were broken. But then the lights slowly became brighter. A nice feature for those late night or early morning trips to the facility. The hot water supply was, well, very hot. I had to be careful not to turn it up too high. The only thing I didn't like about the bed was the chiclet sized pillows. Having four was nice, but they were far too small. On the first morning I was fairly happy with the Continental breakfast. Nothing special about it, but it was hot and there was plenty of it. On the morning of day two, I was a bit disappointed. It was the same food, served colder. Not the same kind of food. No, it was the same food; overcooked, dried out and cold. Uhg. All in all, yes, I would stay here again. It is not a large hotel. There is no spectacular view from the rooms, but it was quiet and clean, a big plus in my book.
We were in Glendora for a wedding. We found the location to be very convenient. We were with in a couple of mile of restaurants that were recommended by Trip Adviser. & also a grocery store. Breakfast was the standard complimentary fare. .
I had a great stay, staff they were the best,Rooms were very nice and really clean..everything worked....The property gounds,parking lot and pool kept clean and inviting...I had no complaints at all..The price was grat for all that you get....
The guys that work there are horrible. The girls there are nice though. Make sure you get the girls to help you. The rooms are really roomy and the beds are comfortable. Check out is at 12 pm and they don't rush you out like other hotels.
Very nice hotel. Accommodations were very nice. Great location from camp. The only downside was the breakfast was terrible! Eggs and bacon were like eating soup. Eggs were runny and bacon was kept heated in its own grease. Cold foods were good.
Overall it was very clean and presentable. i wish there were water bottles in the room or the vending machine took credit cards. the window view was of a junk yard. nothing much around the area. no one was ever at the front desk had to wait every time i went up to ask for something also my phone didn't work in the room. i do appreciate the new addition of make up remover and having pantene for shampoo and conditioner.
Our daughter will be attending Azusa Pacific College in the fall and we stayed here over spring break, very clean & friendly staff. We also liked the breakfast, it was hot and had many options. We will stay here again!
This is one of three hotels in Glendora. This is better than the other 2 which are dumps. However, because it's in Glendora, this 1.5-star hotel charges like a 3-star hotel. My husband and I stayed 2 nights. The bed is very uncomfortable and if you wind up in a handicap-accessible room, be prepared to share the tub with a big fold-down bench in the middle of the tub that's bolted into the wall and not removable or able to get out of the way - something we haven't seen in any hotel we've ever stayed in. Don't know about the breakfast because we didn't eat there. We were also charged a big deposit upfront, something that's never happened before. You would think that upon having us wait to check into the room well after the check-in time of 3pm that they would at least waive the deposit. We stayed in quite a few Best Westerns and not charged like this. This hotel might be ok for a quick overnighter, but wouldn't recommend for anything longer. Next time we'll drive 4 miles to West Covina for better hotel choices.
From the moment I went to checkin the staff went out of their way to help. Drove from Northern California and arrived way before checkin time. The front got the accommodations staff to get my room ready so I could get in early.
My husband and I stayed at the hotel for three nights. Check in went smooth, the staff were very helpful and professional. The hotel is centrally located in town and walking distance to restaurants. Improvements would be, a better selection and quality fruit at the breakfast buffet and pillows. Other than that I recommend the hotel.
This is our go to Hotel when we visit our Glendora family and the location is just perfect. We have stayed here several visits and it's a great place to rest between all the Fun with the Farkles !! Thanks again .
We usually stay in higher end hotels but there aren't any in Glendora. We have stayed here a number of times to visit our son who goes to APU. It has been the best hotel and best location for this purpose. They are always nice and the hotel is clean. It is easy to find and it is quite comfortable. I would recommend this to anyone staying in Glendora and especially for parents visiting their children at school
Found the staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel room and grounds were neat and clean. Only at the hotel one night, but we would stay there again if we are in the area. We did find the bed a little to hard for out taste.
My friend and I stayed at this hotel this last weekend and we were very impressed with the service, the staff, how clean the hotel was and how comfortable the beds were. We enjoyed a great breakfast and felt that this is a safe and secure hotel.
Overall the hotel is nice, but the mattresses are very hard and sleeping is difficult. Expect to wake up many times during the night and to be sore in the morning. The breakfast is pretty good but the eggs were poor quality and should be avoided.
Very quiet, excellent service from every employee we met. Very clean, near local services. We were re-locating from Glendora to Arizona and needed a place to stay. I think the price here is kind of high based on other places we have stayed when traveling. Becuase I used my work discount the price was more reasonable. We did not have any issues
Nice clean hotel and quite. I was here for week and overall the hotel worked out perfectly. Good location on RT 66. My online reservation was all screwed up and George at the front desk got it all corrected. One strange thing is the room rate was different every night. I know the rates can fluctuate based on the particular night but every night a different rate???? Hot breakfast was nice but absolutely the same everyday! Need to change things up!
We were just there one night. Would have liked more. Room was tastefully decorated, the bed was very comfortable, and the TV was a good quality. Since I always forget my shower cap, I would have liked one...The breakfast was a wonderful selection of good quality food. Since this was a 'Plus' motel, I was hoping for biscuits and gravy, and they did not disappoint. I wish we had another trip planned to Glendora, but it will be a long while. I would definitely gravitate to another BW Plus, though.
Very nice rooms with comfortable bed. Usual free hotel breakfast fare. On Friday evening when we arrived there was chilled red or white wine and warm chocolate chip cookies in the lobby.We do not use pool or workout facilities, therefore did not miss not having them. Special note, one day I forgot my I-pod and left it charging in room. No problem still there when I returned.
Room was very hot and stuffy upon our arrival. It took over 3 hours to cool it down. Very thin walls as we could plainly hear the man next door having an argument over the phone. The bed was hard but comfy. The room was clean and tidy but with some hair still in the bathroom. There wasn't a room safe which is disappointing when you gave passports to think about. Breakfast was mediocre. Not the best value motel we've stayed in while here in USA. Not bad but we would try somewhere else next time.
Location ok. Welcome fine. Clean rooms with a good level of equipments. Breakfast ok once you have understood where the meal ad drinks are. The breakfat room is fine. Despite the fact that the hotel is along Rd 66, no significant noise is to hear from outside. The hotel has its own parking.
Hotel was very clean, rooms were spacious. Internet connection just plain terrible. I was on 2nd floor. At 5:00 PM connection was poor. I was told it had to be my device...which would have meant all three of them (cell phone, kindle, laptop). At 5:00 AM connection was also poor, suddenly at 6:00 AM (on the dot) internet connection was fine, which told me it had been turned off!
The staff were pleasant and the room was clean and everything worked, however, the beds and pillows were both extra firm to the point of being uncomfortable. Since the hotel was very convenient to our family gathering and the rates were reasonable, it was acceptable. The breakfast was about what you'd expect from a fast food restaurant.
The staff at this hotel was friendly and accommodating. The hotel is centrally located, right on Route 66, and within walking distance of many restaurants. However, there was a huge fire in the hills above us and the hotel was full of evacuee families and fire fighters. This is when the flimsy walls of hotels just don't work. Again this was an extenuating circumstance so I shouldn't be complaining about noise. Lucky to have a room I guess, but next time I would certainly pick my dates better and get the top floor. Also, BW breakfasts are less than appealing and pretty much the same at every one.
We were there 4 nights, it was good and clean, breakfast in the morning available. However, we were in and out on the last day, and they bypassed cleaning our room. Also, Wi-Fi was really non-existent. Would have rated 5 stars otherwise.
I like the way the room was decorated, almost like I'd do it at home. They have a 32 inch LCD television and good comfortable furniture. It had everything we'd need for a comfortable stay: a refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, lots of channels of TV programming including High Definition channels, and free high speed Internet. Even though we were eating our way through Glendora's Route 66 they provided a delicious complimentary full breakfast buffet first thing in the morning.
Very clean and very nice rooms, excellent full breakfast and good lighted parking area. The rooms are very modern with walls thick enough not to hear your neighbors. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows were firm. The towels are large, soft and the shower had good water pressure.
Overall, the stay was average-sh. Room 216 was fine in terms of cleanliness. Expect for the motorcycle/mechanic shop next door, which was very loud. Check--in was fine, but overall the front desk staff was less than attentive; every time I was at the front desk ( had to call them from the back office to come out. Breakfast was standard. The price was a little high for what I feel like I got. That being said, parking was free, internet was included, and it was for one night. It was fine.
Hotel rooms and bathrooms are clean. We feel comfortable staying here as a family with our toddler every time we are in the area. Pricing is fair especially with a AAA discount. Free breakfast is questionable, but they do have cereal and yogurt options.
We made a last=minute trip to the L.A. area and were delighted to obtain the very last available room at this property. It was wonderful and this will definitely be our primary location on future visits to the area! Clean rooms, recently updated, great beds, pleasant staff, excellent breakfast, bright rooms with tall ceilings, quiet location with easy access to I-210 and Route 66. Everything we could want for a home away from home in the greater L.A. area.
I am a BW Rewards member and I stay at BW when I can. Typically, my experiences are positive, but this was anything but. I tried to extend my stay due to a family emergency. I was informed by the staff that they were "completely booked" for the (weekend) nights I requested. Less than 2 hours later I looked at another website for rooms in the area and the first hotel to come up was Best Western Foothill 66!!! I booked the room for the dates in question. the website also indicated "only 4 rooms left". I then went to my BW app out of curiosity and to my amazement the same BW hotel was available!! I booked another room. I asked to speak to the manager about my concerns, but was told that she wouldn't be in during my remaining 2 days! Absolutely terrible experience!! I'm willing to put up with the lumpy beds and poor wifi at this location because it is so close to my family's home, but I will not tolerate substandard customer service and boldface lying.
This is a good hotel at a reasonable price. The check in clerk was very slow and the $100.00 no smoking policy deposit was unacceptable. I would have to say that this hotel is at the lower end of Best Western quality. The front desk was helpful and cordial, the rest of the staff seemed a little stressed
We booked 2 rooms for ourself & my daughters family to stay overnight prior to attending my nephew's Mitchell Dunajski's early morning funneral. This hotel is clean and comfortable as we have experanced with all the Best Western's we have stayed at but it is not one of their premire hotels such as Casa Grande BW in Arroyo Grande or the BW in San Simeion CA. The only thing was the scammbled eggs & Bacon was luke warm. However overall this is a good place to stay in Glendora CA
Below standard for a Best Western Plus. Serious problem with temperature of food for breakfast and a very uncomfortable bed. These two issues totally out weighed any of the benefits of a typical Best Western Plus. Hopefully this was just an isolated case. I checked out a day early rather than trying to sleep on an useless mattress. Received no refund.
A smaller hotel with all inside entry. This is convenient in case the weather is bad outside. The hotel staff is friendly, the room was comfortable, and the breakfast was tasty. The only downsides were that our room had a heavy odor of disinfectant and any noises in the hallway and adjacent rooms was easily heard.
We stayed here last Christmas while visiting family and were so happy to stay again , such a relaxing hotel the staff were so pleasant and helpful , with cookies and wine available at reception at certain times . The breakfast was good , I also used the laundry which was so handy , we used the hot tub on Christmas Day ! We will be back again next year .
The bed sounded like it was full of noisy paper. Check in and check out took 20 minutes each time. No express checkout. I have had much better experiences at other hotels. Will not stay here again. The manager yelled at me. The breakfast area was packed too tightly with furniture that people could not navigate around the empty tables. Out of orange juice and workers did not seem to care.
Plenty of room for 4 with clean bathroom. Walls are a little thin because coughing guy next door woke everybody up in the middle of the night. Chlorine in hot tub was overwhelming when the whirlpool was on, so we just turned it off. Overall nice room and good breakfast spread.
On my last visit I commented on the rock hard beds and motion sensor detector lights in the bathroom that turned on when I went in the middle of the night. Well those have not changed. Add to that poor to non-existent WiFi reception and terrible breakfast. Undrinkable coffee and juice, meager selections. It looked like the overworked front office receptionist was also in charge of keeping breakfast stocked. The final straw was when I opened the mini fridge there was an exploded Coca-Cola mess in there. Sorry but I will be staying elsewhere from now on.
If toilet paper improves, I may feel much better. In general the hotel was good. Very quiet, no one bothers you. There is exercise room & laundry room. The breakfast was good but not too many changes. All the week they serve exact the same breakfast. I hope there are some varieties to choose from for different days.
This was an adequate motel. The room was pleasant and well decorated with a nice TV and a very spacious bathroom. It is odd though, all of the doors on my vacation seemed to open out and I have to say I don't like that, unless it is a handicap thing, I would say open them in. The bathroom door and the door to the room would often times have collisions. I am only knocking the rating down because the breakfast was not as good as it could be. They could make some small changes and it would be much better. First their eggs are made with water. They were not good. We stayed 3 nights and avoided the eggs after day 1. Some others in our party just went to a restaurant. The orange juice was water at times. The waffle machine was terrible, probably just a bad recipe for the mixture. The placement of items was goofy. We couldn't find the salt, it was sitting next to the cereal, just things like that. They should just take time out and take a look at that space and see it in the eyes of the guests. Maybe make the eggs with milk. I think they were reconstituted. The swimming pool and spa were outside and pretty nice. The fitness room wouldn't unlock, turned out you had to go to the desk and get a special card. Wifi was not adequate. They might need to boost that a bit. I got better results with my iPhone on 3G than wifi on my iPad with their wifi. The hotel is on Route 66. It is easy to drive right past it, in fact I did a couple of times. You just don't see it from a distance but do when you are right at it. It would be nice if they could have a little sign on the island of the turn lane.
Great bang for the buck. Very nice and clean hotel, friendly/helpful staff, and breakfast included, all for a reasonable price. It's a very convenient location if visiting Azusa Pacific University. I will definitely stay here again if we're in the area.
This hotel is nice enough - standard BW stuff. But it advertises free WiFi. Be forewarned. The internet in the rooms is so weak, you get nearly no connection. My idea of free in-room internet is not standing in the lobby. So if connectivity is important to you, find somewhere else.
The hotel itself is clean and nice, but the hotel staff are not friendly. Upon check-in the behind the counter lady did not smile or welcome us to the hotel. It almost seemed as though we were bothering her. I asked if there was an APU rate and I could not receive a direct answer from her or the gentleman who checked me out. They were hesitant to give me concrete amounts. Next time I will stay somewhere else where APU is valued and they do give excellent rates.
For several years I had stayed here on business for $126 plus tax and wham!, suddenly the price is $161 plus tax. When I talked with the Manager about this and my Company financial limit of $150, she replied, "And we are raising the price again next year". I replied, "You just lost a customer". She could have cared less. This is a great little hotel when not filled with kids. If price doesn't matter, this is a good place to stay. The Best Western in nearby San Dimas and the surrounding Best Westerns are all much cheaper per night.
We stayed here for one night while in town to visit relatives. The front desk staff was very professional and courteous and the hotel is quite clean and looks newly renovated. The room was spacious but dark due to the high ceilings, lack of lighting, and color of walls (brown). Sounds a little weird, I know, but it was a bit off-putting. Shower was great! In spite of our weird feelings about the high ceiling, we slept well and the first floor room was quiet and comfortable. My only complaint with this hotel is that during the week, breakfast is only available from 6-9 a.m. With two teenagers on vacation, this was pretty much impossible for me so we headed down to Donut Man on Route 66 (renowned for donuts filled with fresh strawberries or peaches if you are so inclined).
This hotel was disgusting. I arrived at 2 am the night before and went straight to bed. When I woke up the next morning, I found brown stains all over the bed. Honestly, brown stains can only be 1 of 2 or 3 things. Honestly, it looked like dry blood. I flipped out & was completely disgusted. If I would have saw that the night before, I would have NOT slept there. When I called the front desk, the lady was SO rude. I could not believe it. 1) I cannot believe housekeeping would ever think to keep those sheets 2) see those brown stains and think, "oh let's put this on a bed." At this point, it only makes me question EVERY housekeeping protocol they have. I bet they never wash the comforter, who knows what they do with the carpet. I made sure to walk around in my flip flops the entire time. The bed was also so hard that I felt like I was camping outside on the ground. The pillows were also miniature sized. You had to put two of their "normal" pillows together to make a standard pillow size. It was ridiculous. It was just disgusting and I could not believe it. I will stay an hour away just not to stay there ever again and warn others before they do.
