"Relax"
Comfy rooms quiet and good beds nice size rooms close to a convenience store so you can get a bite to eat wish they had a free breakfast other than that a good place to stay good location and clean rooms

I am pleased to see you enjoyed your stay with us. We hope to have you as our guest again!
"Hprrid"
Told reservations at Gillette we had dog, needed a pet room. Asked if pool and hot tub, as several places in Gillette have this. Told yes to both. Key cards didn't work! Sound on TV didn't work! Maintenance spent 30 minutes fixing it. Pet was not noted on reservations at could have charged extra 100 if I didn't catch at check in. Hot tub was cordoned off for repairs, ice cold. How did the so called manager not know this when we asked at reservation time? A PLOY to get us here as several facilities have hot tub and pool. Worse yet, husband in ICU for 2 m9nths last year on 20th so this was our 20th celebratation. What an incredible waste of money and time. Any other place in Gillette WY would have been better choice
Nicole Brown, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
It's very unfortunate that you did not stop by the desk to check out before writing this review, as I have been waiting for your departure to visit about your stay, as my staff did notify me of your concerns. The keys can be so easily demagnetized by a phone or credit card or car keys with an auto start, glad to hear the staff corrected that for you. I'm also glad to hear the sound for TV fixed right away, unfortunately the guest from the previous night did not notify us there was anything wrong with it. Upon taking your reservation yesterday you asked me if we had a pool I responded "yes". I was very busy at the time and didn't think to respond about the spa since you asked about a pool. The did have to be shut down 2 days ago due to a heating element going out. As per your pet, I did note that at the time I took your reservation, so you would not have been charged an unreported pet fee. I did remove the $20 fee and I did discount your stay 25% due to your concerns. There was no "ploy" and I fully intended to try to improve the situation, its too bad I was not given any sort of opportunity to do so, as we would never do anything to intentionally ensure a "bad" stay for any guest, that's just plain ridiculous. So instead of your stay totaling $136.48, you will only be billed $87.36. I hope the remainder of trip is more satisfactory.
"Great place to stay"
Internet is slow but there is a lot of rooms so ya know. The maids most don't speak English but they had a couple who could translate. I am very happy they allow my one dog. The rest of places in Gillette would not allow my pit mix.
"Pee Stained Bed"
Upon arriving I could smell a distinct odor but could not figure out what it was or where it was coming from. The stay was OK besides that. I come leaving I stripped the bed and found two big pee stains in the mattress. I informed the front desk attendant who gave me a small credit of just the taxes on the room for just 1 of the nights I stayed.
Nicole Brown, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Thank you for completing the survey regarding your recent stay at our property. If we had been informed of a "smell" right away, we could have investigated and changed you rooms right away. Unfortunately, after 2 nights there is not much else I can do. I did give a discount for your stay (and not just the taxes as you have stated) On behalf of our entire team, I would like to apologize for not exceeding your expectations. Your satisfaction is important to us and we will be using the feedback you gave us to implement improvements to ensure we offer a better experience for guests in the future.
"Tired property and aweful restaurant."
Was charged for 2 prime rib meals, but one of the meals was meatloaf. When asked why, the staff refused to adjust the check. Also, none of the ice machines worked. The property was old/tired. I travel regularly for business, but for this site, Never Again!
Nicole Brown, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
I am sorry you were not satisfied with your stay. This property was remodeled less than 5 years. All ice 4 ice machines are working properly and have had no repairs for some time now. The buffet is $29.99/person, no matter what you chose to select off it. If you did not like this option you could have ordered from the menu. There is no way the staff could keep up every item every guest selected to eat. As the guest you either select the buffet or the menu, that choice was yours.
"Good hotel with buffet style breakfast"
The hotel is showing signs of aging, my room had a leak in the roof, but the staff are friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is a nice touch with a buffet available. Fitness area is a little small with one treadmill not working, but hotel has a swimming pool for the kids to play in
Nicole Brown, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Thank you for writing a review about your stay. I will definitely look into the fitness equipment repairs!
"Not worth it"
Not staying again. There's other hotels in area, I'd go there. Only good thing in a bar on property. Didn't get to use pool or hot tub, too many kids. Bartender was nice. Desk clerks tried , but the rooms are just lacking in basic maintenance.
Nicole Brown, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Our apologies for not meeting your expectations. We will investigate for solutions for our future guests.
"Quiet Hotel not far off the interstate"
Spent three nights at this hotel. This is a surprisingly large hotel but is well kept up. The lobby was very nice and the staff very friendly. The room was nice and was very quiet. Heard a little noise from kids running up and down the hall but that happens. The only problem was I could not get the hotel wifi to work. But as I travel a lot this was not an issue as I just used the hotspot on my phone. I would certainly stay here next time I needed to stay in Gillette.
Nicole Brown, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review

"Comfortable"
Bed was comfortable and shower pressure was wonderful! There was a sticky spot on the floor and desk chair was bent too far back. I tried to fix it, but couldn't figure out how. Otherwise it was a good stay.
Nicole Brown, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Thank you for your honest & fair review! Please know we have fixed the concerns you had. I hope we will see you again!
"Great value and nice room"
The room was super quiet even though it was on the first floor. I needed to do laundry and it was right across the hall. Lucky but worth it. Good price and they had soap at the front desk. The machine was clean and inexpensive.
Nicole Brown, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
I am so glad to hear you enjoyed your stay with us! I hope we will see you again. Thank you for taking the time to complete a review!

"Clean, Quiet, Comfortable Motel"
The rooms were clean with nice bedding and mattresses. Plenty of room to move about. There was a nice bar onsite and a restraunt that offered a small breakfast buffet. The staff at the desk, the bar and restraunt were all very friendly and accomodating. Reasonable rates and quiet!
Nicole Brown, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review

"If I could give zero stars I would."
The sink had this sticky gunk in it. My child got a rash after swimming in the pool. I let the front desk know and no one really cared. The house keeper tried to claim that it was just a little hair in the sink but thankfully I took a picture. They claimed they checked the pool levels and they were fine but I don't believe they did. After calling customer service, the manager lied. She claimed she sent me two emails, but I never received any. She denied everything that I told customer service but I'm the one with the pictures. Please save yourself the trouble and stay anywhere else.
"Not the bestBest Western"
We stay at dozens and dozens of Best Westerns and some are very good. This is one of those. Not horrible but old and really needs some work. Toilet wasn't bolted to the floor properly. Big crack in concrete steps to our entrance. Not a big deal but the breakfast buffet isn't complimentary and that should be stated. The buffet was okay and the price was fair, something like $10.95 each. This place is probably okay for somebody looking for an inexpensive place to stay but doesn't seem good enough to qualify as a Best Western. Kind of a maze to the room and not bright or cheerful.
Nicole Brown, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Thank you for taking the time to complete a review. We appreciate your honest feedback. Please know we are on a never ending path to constantly improve every stay for every guest. I am glad you enjoyed and hope to see you again!
"Would not recommend"
Dirty socks where left in the room from the previous people. Floors not vacuumed. Foul smell in the corner of the room like cat pee. Dim light in the bathroom. There's no elevator. Would not recommend.
Nicole Brown, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Again, our apologies for not exceeding your expectations. Please know this is the standard we expect to uphold and will review with our staff for retraining.
"Based on expectations"
While I don't regularly stay in Nest Westerns, this one exceeded my expectations. Our room was big, everything worked, everything was clean, and was pretty quiet. The restaurant on premise was good, a tad high, but good. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I'd stay here again.
Nicole Brown, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Thank you so much for completing a review! I am so pleased you joyed. I sure will have the pleasure to have you as our guest again!
"Poorly run property"
Snot and blood in bathroom sink. Bath tub and toliet dirty. Was told by front desk that no one could come up to clean room and that they did not have another room to move me. The breakfast buffet had no food in it and they didn't have the staff to keep up to fill it. When I went to discuss all of these issues with the Manager she extremely nasty and really did not care to address the issues and told me to bad. I will never stay at this location Best Western Tower Lodge in Gillette Wyoming.
Nicole Brown, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Mr. Fishman, after further investigation about your stay and speaking with both staff members, neither recalls you coming back to the desk after you checked in. When to the desk and starting right away with yelling at me, you only mentioned the dirty sink, not the tub or toilet. When you told me the staff told you we didn't have anyone to help take of the issue, that instantly raised a red flag for as we have someone on staff 24 hours for any such issue. Upon your arrival for breakfast Saturday there had just been a large group that had departed and the kitchen staff was working to refill the buffet. The server also has said she tried to explain they were refilling the buffet as you were asking and you wouldn't accept her information and just left. I apologize your stay was not up to your standards, but I do feel our staff was working hard to appease you.
"Great hotel!"
Wonderful helpful staff, so friendly. Rooms were clean and very quiet. Beds are awesome, Pool was clean and hot tub was so relaxing, great way to end your day. Loved the ease to get in and out of rooms

"Security the only problem"
When checking in my entrance was at rear of hotel 11 at night and the doors were not secure. All access were propped open so anyone could walk through hallway past my room .that was the only problem I had And the have a restaurant fo order breakfast
Nicole Brown, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Thank you for completing a review. I will be checking into your concerns. I am pleased to hear you enjoyed stay!
"HORRIBLE STAY, UNCLEAN AND ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE"
Unfortunately there was not a zero star option or I would have picked it. The stay and service was horrible from check in to check out, including a sub par dinner (service and food), at the steak house. We booked the 2 story room, #4200, so we could have privacy with our 9 year old staying with us. At check in we asked about a luggage cart and were told they would be at the entrance to each section from the parking lot. This would have been pointless if were true, as no luggage carts were present anywhere; but it was doubly pointless as there is no elevator to the second floor and our entrance was on the second floor....or was it? Actualy it turns out that there is a private room entrance at the parking lot level with a side walk to/from the parking lot, which would have been good to know as we had to haul our luggage up the stairs to the the second floor entry. After entering the room we then had to drag it back down the narrow spiral staircase to the bath/bedroom level. Only then did we discover the exterior entry at that level. So on an up note leaving, was much easier as we just left via the bedroom level door. Again knowing that was an option at check in would have been appreciated. The truly odd fact is that the manager on duty at check out claimed he didn't know that there was a door that had parking lot access, when I attempted to go over the facts of my challenges during our stay. This seems odd and lacking at a management level regarding knowledge of even the basic amenities and layout of the property. After the check in and luggage debacle we found the bedding on the upstairs sleeper sofa to be dirty, slept in, with visible black long curly hair all over it. We called down to the desk for new bedding and they were neither gracious nor apologetic and about having housekeeping switch them out and seemed pained to do so. The next challenge to the room set up is that there is no privacy from the second floor to the first and there is also no way to close blinds (no access to the windows and no blinds on them) on the second floor windows to stop light streaming in from the outside in the morning. Then there is the shower set up, it has no doors and is completely open to the room and visable from the open staircase where our 9 year old was staying above. We also found it to be dirty, with hair in the soaker tub, similar to what was on the sofa bed sheets. So much for the claim on all the entry doors touting a superior clean/sanitized room with enhanced covid cleaning protocols in place. That is either complete bunk, or there is no management oversight to protocols put in place. Beyond expecting to have a clean and sanitary room with a modicum of privacy from our child; we also booked the room to be able to breakfast together as a family. Therefore we brought specific breakfast items that were microwavable and had the items prepped to put in the microwave only to find it to be broken/completely non functioning. After the horrible meal at the steakhouse the prior evening, capped off with what can only be described as lack luster service at best; we opted for leaving early and a fast food breakfast over betting on the breakfast buffet being a higher quality than the dinner. When I stopped by the office to check out, I spoke to the manager on duty who couldn't seem to comprehend why I was less than satisfied. His only question is why I just didn't refrigerate my prepped breakfast food and save it for later rather than tossing it. Seriously that was his only comment, not an apology, not anything else. I left my number on the back of the GM's card that was available on the counter and ask that he pass it on for a follow up call, but I have not heard from anyone after nearly 5 hours and have little faith that it did not end up in the trash. My advice is pick any of the multitude of other flag hotels at either exit, if you have any expectations of service, cleanliness, or appreciation for your business.
Nicole Brown, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
I apologize your stay with us was not not up to the standards we expect. The housekeeping issues have been address with the supervisor. I will be visiting with each desk staff member on how to better explain to enter the 2 suites such as you stayed in. You do have to enter the room from the 2nd floor to go down to main level to remove the chain & deadbolt on the ground level. Unfortunately, the microwave we were not informed wasn't working until your check out time, it was working the day before. Again I do apologize and all your concerns are being addressed.
"Nice hotel"
Friendly staff, clean rooms, parking lot needs improvement to accommodate larger vehicles and boats, location next to busy road with many semis. Able to bring my pet but I could not find a designated area for letting my dog roam.
Nicole Brown, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Thank you for writing a review about your stay. We do have a large banquet center parking area near the front entrance for large vehicles, I apologize this was not explained better.
"Excellent Staff w/ a few Cons"
The staff was above and beyond friendly! This includes the front desk, restaurant and bar. Good location from interstate. Wifi was not as speedy as advertised - took 4 to 5 times to get initially connected (be patient) and sometimes a device got kicked off. The speed was slower than expected. Pillows on beds were nice and big but VERY firm. It would be nice to have different firmness of pillows on beds (most hotels do this). Breakfast buffet was cold and had been sitting there awhile. Not recommended!
Nicole Brown, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Thank you for your feedback. Please know we will address your concerns. We hope to see you again!
"No Elevator No Free Breakfast"
This was a clean hotel but didn't offer free breakfast. They also have 2 floors and NO ELEVATOR. The pool was relaxing. BUT>>> They need to put a caution sign by the entry door to the pool area because you will trip . We saw several people including ourselves trip on the raised door step.
Nicole Brown, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Thank you for completing a review about your stay. We appreciate your feedback. I am pleased to see you enjoyed. Our signage from the pool must have disappeared, we will get a new one ordered.
"Worst smell ever"
This location is in dire need of a remodel and there's rooms smell absolutely horrendous from the first room smelling like 500 people just smoked a cigarette in them to the second room I was offered smelling so chemically bad I was unable to stay at the location.
Nicole Brown, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Our apologies for your experience. Please know we have addressed your concerns with the staff and appreciate your feedback.
"Pleasant experience"
The motel was very clean and nicely arranged with a restaurant attached.... we used two of our $25 Spring promotion awards, so it was half the price it normally would have been. The restaurant food was very good, but the air conditioning was cold in that room. The desk people were wonderful....
Nicole Brown, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Thank you for completing a review. I am very pleased you enjoyed your stay and hope to have you again!
"Amazing Stay at the Tower Gillette Wyoming Best Western"
An amazing place to stay and I highly recommend this Best Western! Front desk and Lounge staff were friendly and professional. The room was clean and large and the common areas were clean and nicely decorated. The Lounge was rustic and they serve great "peach" margaritas (many thanks to the superb bartender who made this!).
Nicole Brown, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
I am so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us! Thank you for taking your time to complete a review, it is really helps us in continual training with our staff. I hope we have the pleasure to have you as our guest again!
"Just ok"
This place was just ok. There was nothing about it that stood out to make it spectacular. It was clean enough and well enough maintained. There were no clean towels in the pool area and dirty towels were all over no matter what time of day we went in. the pool access was confusing and I was not impressed that my pool access room was actually across an outside courtyard, back into another part of the building then down a hall from the pool. The pool is surrounded by glass sliding doors on all sides, but they were all locked withe the handles removed so they were unusable. I realize that is likely a secure measure, but it looked trashy and rundown because of it.There was no mention of a continental breakfast so we ate out each day.
Nicole Brown, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Thank you for completing a review about your stay. My apologies the pool access was not explained to you. And yes, the door situation did have have to be changed due to safety concerns and to keep non guests out of the pool. We do not have a continental breakfast since we have a full service restaurant on site. I do hope if you are in the area again you will give us another chance to extend a better stay. We do you these reviews to continually train staff so we can improve for each guest.
"Put in handicap room...no vanity in bathroom."
Room was for handicap. Which would have been fine if the bathroom had a vanity. Missing light bulbs in 2 lamps, microwave cord would not reach the cord cluster hanging by TV. Room was next to hotel laundry. Carts in hall way made entry to room difficult, noisy conversations outside my door by laundry staff. Hotel would not change my room or offer another option. I booked thus on Best Westerns website at the offered rate for a King. Manager tried to tell me I was given a discount at check-in. She was argumentive and offered no apology. I won't be back and I travel a lot.
Nicole Brown, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
I do apologize again, as I did yesterday. I was by no means trying to be argumentative but trying to analyze the circumstances, as I was not here when you checked-in. We did not have another pet room available to move you to. Yes, the room was near the hotel laundry but the staff & carts were gone by 5:00pm. The rate you booked was a rate offered on-line at a 20% discount off the standard rate for that night. I am sorry were not able to meet all your needs. Your concerns are being addressed to serve better serve our future guests.
"Clean, comfortable reasonable hotel stay"
The hotel was attractive and clean. Room was large. Bed was extremely comfortable. Stayed for one night while traveling through area. Improvements need to be made in correct signage for restaurant hours and availability of breakfast. Restaurant was closing earlier than hours stated. I just made it under 19 minutes. They did seat me and food and service was excellent but I was rushed to enjoy my only meal of the day. They closed for a slow evening which I appreciate their business decision but they should monitor activity for each day and make changes accordingly, stick to hours and post correct hours, No to go breakfast since there is a restaurant but again incorrect signage. A sign stating to go breakfasts distributed to all BW was in prominent display. The verbiage about the to go breakfast should have been covered up.
Nicole Brown, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Thank you for your review, I am pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay. Please understand we are still adjusting to the needs of our guests and our hotel as our restaurant has only been re-opened for a few weeks. Your feedback is important and we appreciate it.
"Watch out for dishonest business practices"
Watch out for this one! General Manager, Nicole Brown, refused to reverse charges for unauthorized transaction. Very unprofessional and dishonest. Some back story...Attempted to book a stay on the Best Western corporate site in which it stated booking unsuccessful and to reach out to the hotel. I didn't want to go through the hassle, wanted to book something immediately; hence, I did somewhere else! Continued to receive emails from BW asking me to confirm the booking, which I've attached. Miss Brown says room was held on “good faith.” I never once received a confirmation of a reservation from her or a thank you for booking. Why would I think it was reserved? She chalked me as a no stay. Refused to show proof of a confirmation. I was really looking forward to staying at a beautiful place; that's all I ever book. So watch out here, once she gets your info, she's gonna do as she pleases. Best Western corporate no help at all, though I tried booking through them, want to put it on the hotel.
Nicole Brown, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Actually, as you said stated you booked on-line, you did not contact the hotel directly in any form until after you realized you had been billed for the 1st night of 2 night reservation. This is of no fault of the hotel. The reservation came through on-line to the hotel, we at the hotel do send the confirmations when you book on-line the confirmation comes from the on-line booking feed. You said you were sent several notifications about the reservation , one would think to maybe double check after multiple notifications. The hotel did hold the reservation in good faith for you until 6:00am the morning after your scheduled arrival date therefore the hotel must get paid for the room. There is no way for the hotel to know you received those notifications. Once someone books a reservation it is that person's responsibility to follow up, not the hotel's.
"Bad Experience"
I asked if the hot tub was going to be open that night, they said it would be open. Checked in, cleaning staff & their kids & stuff was everywhere in the halls & the hot tub was closed that night due to different reasons I was told by different staff. The breakfast you have to pay for tastes like soap. I was told the hot tub/pool was closed due to maintenance needing to clean & it would be open the next morning at 7am, well at 8am it was still locked, I asked the front desk & they said they'd have someone go open it, went down there around 10am & maintenance was spraying it down & cleaning it but was still open. Why it was closed with no one cleaning the night before was beyond me.. I've stayed at several best westerns all over the US & this was by far the worst experience.
Nicole Brown, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Good morning- I had previously responded to your concerns through Best Western survey as well. But after further investigation I have been informed the pool was closed to damages caused by other guests. They had threw all our furniture and towels into the pool and poured multiple drinks into as well. Yes, all that had to cleaned but due to the things poured in the pool the chemical balances were not correct and we could not re-open until it was. Yes, this is very unfortunate but out of our control. I hope you enjoyed the rest of your trip.
"Quick Overnight Stay"
SUPER CLEAN !! Staff was great!! Will stay there again!!! They were very concerned about us driving and offered to help if we got stuck with safety covid guidelines it was nice they didn't close the continental breakfast instead had someone serving it.
Nicole Brown, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Thank you for the great review! I am so pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay with us!
"Pretty good. Seems to have good covid-19 measures."
This hotel is a little old, but our room and the hallways seemed to be recently updated. They advertised covid-19 measures, and the common areas and room (except for the carpet) seemed very clean. As a note, my wife hated the place, but I thought it compared to most places we have stayed while on vacation in the past. While looking for something on the floor I noticed the carpet had not been vacuumed very well. The room was spacious and the refrigerator nice and large. We had a quiet night and I wouldn't have an issue staying there in the future.

"Classic Wyoming"
I don't understand the terrible reviews. And frankly, the first time I stayed here, I was put off by the reviews, but the price of a room here sucked me in and I'm glad I gave it a chance! I'm somewhat of a picky person and I don't hand out 5 star reviews much, but I'm giving this place one. Here's why: Obviously, this place isn't the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in. I've now stayed here twice this summer and enjoyed each stay. The rooms are large and clean, good water pressure in the bathroom, they're pet friendly, I love the staff - from the front desk to the staff in the lounge and restaurant, they're all great! Yes, it's a little dated. The hallways are a complete maze with an odd room numbering system that I can't seem to figure out - I got lost more than one time! The fitness center needs some work - the two treadmills do NOT work - and I've tried to use them on two separate stays (once in July, and now in Sept). Please fix! Cuz I'll be back. I ate in the lounge on both of my trips. There's just somethin' about. You walk in, and they've got Sturgill Simpson blasting on the jukebox, bunch of locals at the bar, a few tourists at the tables, and everyone looks like they're having fun. It's dingy and dark and a little shady - it's exactly what I'd expect from a Gillette, Wyoming bar! CLASSIC! I love it! Plus the food is good - Mushroom Swiss burger is to die for. Breakfast isn't free. But it's GOOD. So eat there. Honestly, I'd rather pay for the breakfast and get decent food, than eat a stale bagel, questionable fruit and powdered eggs from your typical free hotel breakfast. This place is authentic, classic Wyoming, and ya gotta eat in bar and/or restaurant. I'm glad that Gillette is a good stopping point for my trips out west from Minnesota. I'll definitely be back
"Not up to BW standards "
This is a decent place and had clean rooms. Only negative is older and needs some updates. Plug-in at bedside didn't hold plug for my CPAP and no other plugs by bed to plug-in. Very annoying the front desk person couldn't provide an extension cord and asked if I cld wait for a maintenance person that wld show up at midnight. I ended up moving a lamp with Plug-ins to night stand but sometime in night stopped working. I would not recommend staying here if you have medical equipment needed by the bed.

"Well renovated "motel" (mostly)"
It looks like this used to be a motel. Our room had a door to the courtyard by the pool in addition to the door in the hallway as usual. This area is nice, with some grills provided, along with some seating. Unfortunately, there were NO trash cans out there. Just about everywhere was cleaned well, except for the carpet in our room. It looked 5 years older than the carpet in the hallways. Also, it was not vacuumed along the base boards or behind any furniture. Also, the room had a musty smell. It was a great price, but it is quite a bit further from the Black Hills attractions than other hotels. Gillette is beautiful and we didn't mind the drive. We thought it was well worth it.

"Army Reunion Trip back to Upstate New York, from Southern California"
I think Best Western is one of the best hotels for the dollar you spend, and their properties have been in excellent condition. All the Customer Service Reps at the front desk have been courteous, and professional. In Reno, NV I got upgraded to a Suite once I signed up for the REWARDS Program and She was awesome to help me out. Along my trip on the North Route back to New York all the Best Westerns have been above my standards. Being a US Army Veteran, I am on a budget, and Best Western is a great way to stay within my budget.

"Stayed for a softball tournament"
Reasonably priced accommodations that were close to the softball diamond. The restaurant was opened but did not have a buffet due to COVID-19. We didn't eat there because we didn't have the time. If you are ever in Gillette, WY it's worth a stay.

"Unpleasant"
Disappointing stay. Our softball team booked a block of rooms for a long weekend. We arrived at a "non-smoking" room 2 doors down from the smoking rooms where it wreaked of cigarette smoke in our room and in the halls (can't go anywhere without the smell of stale cigarettes around here). The air conditioning was broken so the room was humid and felt unsanitary. The bathroom light was burned out, toilet paper roll broken and one towel waiting in a room set up for 4 people. We asked for a room change, which they obliged. Better room with A/C working but throughout the stay, our room was neglected by housekeeping all weekend. We had to take out our own trash and make do with the towels that were there upon arrival as they were never replenished at our request. Coming back from a sweaty, dirt-filled tournament and walking into your unmade room was less than welcoming. The tub wouldn't drain after our showers and overall, the cleanliness was less than average throughout the room. It was noisy as the view from our room was the gas station next door and the interstate. The pool area felt unkept; outside in the courtyard, it appears there are permanent residents living here as there are beer bottles and cigarette butts were strewn about. it's disgusting. The staff in the restaurant were pleasant, food was average, and pricing not bad for a hotel restaurant. Overall, you guessed it, would never return to this property. Not sure how some of the other reviews are as positive as they are; they got luckier than we did it appears!
Nicole B, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Good morning, I would like to start by apologizing for the many issues during you stay with us, please know I will be addressing this with our staff. We do provide a letter and try to explain to every guest arriving that housekeeping services can only be provided upon each individual guest requesting this service with the front desk staff, due to Covid. This practice has been adapted by most hotel franchises due to CDC guidelines.
"So enjoyed this stay!"
We were traveling back to Canada in mid March and booked ahead for this hotel. The room was roomy and clean, and we appreciated the pet friendly welcome we got. As we were tired, we chose to eat at the hotel. When I checked about a gluten friendly meal, the staff was so accommodating, and the meal was delicious. My husband's meal was also great. In the morning, the breakfast buffet was also delicious, and the staff was so knowledgeable about gluten, that I was able to have a breakfast feast, where I often have to go without. Thanks to the staff both at the front desk and in the restaurant. Your caring attitude was so appreciated!

"Great evening in the lounge"
My wife and I traveled from Manitoba Canada in early March 2020 and spent the night in Gillette after a long drive. We had been in the Best western lounge before and enjoyed the experience so figured we would try it again. It sure did not disappoint. The atmosphere is very relaxing. Drinks and food were excellent all at a very reasonable price. Plus the bar maid was very friendly.Music was good just right volume and nice and warm at the bar. Very well managed lounge. Impressed and totally satisfied. Looking forward to our next stop in this lounge.
"Noisy and Doesn't appreciate loyalty"
I stayed at this hotel with colleagues while opening a new store in town. We stayed for 7 nights. Good points: super clean rooms and impeccable housekeeping. Restaurant has good breakfast with a buffet not too much different than a Comfort Inn. Did not get to try dinner as they close at 9. Bad points: reception staff and manager will lie right to your face. If you are a rewards member (I'm a Diamond) then you are entitled to an upgrade to a suite when available. I always verify availability on the website before asking. They had suites available for the entire time I would've there. When I asked for my upgrade I was told there were not any suites available. Upon speaking to the manager I was told that giving me a suite would cut I to her profit. That those rooms go for too much money to give them away. She obviously doesn't understand the purpose of a loyalty program. The sad part for her is that my team and I will now be visiting Gillette three more times this year at a minimum and staying at least a week. That's 4-5 people at a time. However, we will probably stay at the La Quinta. One more bad point. The hotel is very noisy. Poor insulation between the walls allows you to hear everything going on in the room next door. According to the manager, there are no quiet hallways to move to.
Nicole B, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
I would like to start by apologizing we were not not able to upgrade you to a suite. We do only have 6 suites (4 with king beds and 2 with two queen beds) of 190 rooms in this building. These suites are not the same as you would expect in most hotels, as for the huge price difference, approximately $55 per night you were paying verses the $193.99 rental price. We do most often upgrade our Best Western Rewards members to these suites, but cannot to those booking through agencies already receiving a 25% discount on the rate. We did also have multiple other guests renting these rooms through out your stay, and they were not available everyday. Never was there a mention it would cut profit. I did also try to to move you rooms due to the noise level of the corner room you were in. I offered a 2nd floor room which was not an option for you (which your supervisor asked why you would not take). I offered all other hallways on the first floor, asked which you preferred, but informed you there were multiple rooms being used in each hallway, so I couldn't promise to predict the noise level for you. I asked where would be acceptable for you, where you would prefer to be moved to, as I was unsure which you would prefer, but you became upset & stormed out, not allowing me to try assist any further. It is unfortunate that we were unable to find a suitable room for you. As per the rest of the members of this crew, I only heard compliments about their stays.
"Consistently clean and inviting!"
Comfortable oasis! I've stayed with these guys a few different times in the past 6 or so years, and never have I been disappointed! CLEAN! Always clean. For a facility of it's age, I'm assuming older based on the size of the lavatory, this facility has been WELL MAINTAINED! Their staff has been welcoming and accommodating on every visit. A shining ambassador for the great people of Wyoming. Although Gillette has many options for lodging, these guys provide me the service needed, time after time. Comfortable, quiet, and dependable.

"Service was exceptional"
We checked in and found our rooms to be a bit farther from the pool than we expected so without issue they found us rooms near the pool entrance. We ate at the bar/restaurant on site and had service by Terese that was above and beyond and the food was great! Enjoyed the breakfast buffet as well. Would definitely recommend this place.

"Towers West Lodge Rocks"
We have lots of family in Gillette, WY and always stay at the Towers West when visiting. We travel with our dog, and they are always welcoming. We have always had excellent service, stay at Towers West. The service is excellent and we had Thanksgiving Brunch plus several breakfasts there...food was wonderful! Always worth it!
"No Free Breakfast Buffet"
One night stay after 5 nights at other Best Westerns enroute to and from Phoenix. This was the last BW we stayed at and although it is good, it's not the same quality we enjoyed at the other BW. All other BW's offer free breakfast buffet. This one charges $5.50 for buffet and extra if you want toast instead of the biscuits and gravy. Kay, our server said she has heard this before and did everything to make it up. She brought us a pot of coffee and hot water for tea and a jug of cold water. She also brought us bacon which was not on the buffet. Buffet did have a good choice— scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy, muffins and pastries and fresh fruit salad. Kay took amazing care of us.
Nicole B, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
I am pleased you enjoyed your stay & Kay was able to take great care of you. As a full service hotel with a full service restaurant & lounge we do not offer a complementary breakfast, but do offer our full hot buffet to guests at $5.00/person instead of $8.00. I do hope we will have you as our guests again. Have a great day!
"Eat at the restaurant!!"
Food is excellent!!!! Service was great. Seafood Buffet and breakfast buffet was incredible! Rooms are nice. Bed and pillows were very comfy! Bathroom was a little small, but great experience for the 2 nights we were there!

"Great amenities"
It was a great stay for the fact it was during Winter months, great access to food an right off the highway. Having directv was a major perk I was happy. An the restaurant was really good cause I dint have to leave the comfort of the hotel.
Nicole B, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Thank you for taking your time to complete a survey about your stay. I am pleased you enjoyed and hope to have you back again soon!
"It's a Best Western"
Unlike most similarly priced hotels include breakfast with the cost of the room. This one Does NOT ! The food availble is nearly identical to thhe other hotels in the area. but they charge $5.25 minimum for breakfast.
Nicole B, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Thank you for completing our survey. We are a full service hotel with a full service restaurant, therefore we do not offer a complimentary breakfast. Our buffet is full hot buffet offered from 4am-10am, not a continental breakfast as offered by all other hotels in the area from 6a-9a. Our competitors are also priced $20-50 per night higher for their rooms.
"A great hotel for points"
Travelling through Wyoming to SD. Always prefer BW hotels so decided to stop in Gillette on the way to Devils Tower. A good solid property in the BW tradition but the amazing thing was a night could be had for 8,000 points and not the standard 16,000 or 20,000 points.
"Passing through...................."
Room was dark and dingy. Long term occupants had no consideration of others. No decent area to walk pets. The elevator was not working. Sadly, I have yet to stay at any hotel in the area that was decent.
Nicole B, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Again, I am not sure this review or the other one you completed is for the right hotel. As, we have plenty of space out front & along both sides of our building for pet walking. We also do not have elevators due to only having 2 floors, we do everything possible to accommodate those requesting groundfloor rooms.
"Facility good for regular BW Hotel"
Was very concerned as we needed to stay here to be in a BW but we had to pay more here than any of the BW Plus locations we had during this trip. All went well. Would recommend that the facility do some upgrading but was clean and service in the restaurant was spectacular! Food great and front desk staff were friendly. Rooms were clean and comfortable.
Nicole B, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
I am please to hear you enjoyed your stay with us. Rates in the area are a little higher still due to the demand of rooms through out the city, most hotels are selling out daily. We do appreciate your honest feedback & hope we will the pleasure to have you as our guests again!
"Worst Experience EVER!"
Front desk clerk was sleeping when I tried to check in. He charged my credit card for the room instead of using my Reward points. A full day later and they have not fixed the mistake. This after calling them late afternoon yesterday to remind them to fix their mistake!
Nicole B, Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Again, my apologies for the experience in getting you checked in correctly trying to use points. I am gad I was able to rectify the situation for you yesterday. I hope you enjoy the remainder of your trip.
"Nice but an odd layout"
I stayed one night here, the room was nice and quiet, but the pool was dirty, and the hotel layout was hard to navigate. It was a long way to get to a room and the elevator was not working so someone with handicap issues would have to request a ground floor room. Otherwise this place was decent.
Nicole B, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Thank you for taking the time to complete a review about your stay with us. I will definitely check on the cleaning schedule of the pool. We actually do not have an elevator since the hotel is only 2 stories. All our ADA rooms are located on the first, and we always do everything we can to ensure a guest in need of a ground floor room, receives one. I am pleased otherwise you enjoyed your stay with us and hope we will have the pleasure to have you as our guest again!
"Poor maintenance"
Our bathroom lights were not attached to the ceiling and hung down a good six inches. Above one of the beds you could see left over ducting and insulation through the vent. This hotel has not been taken care of or managed well.
"Good rate"
This was a one night stay and without reservations. We had three rooms all on the second floor. Our rooms were clean and the carpet and furniture were newer. The restaurant was nice and the food was good. The price wasn't bad for a hotel restaurant. Breakfast cost 5 dollars and is a buffet. Well worth 5 dollars. This hotel does NOT have elevators nor does it have sprinklers for fire suppression.
"Good air conditioning!"
They had a soft bed and nice amenities. The had comfy pillows and the air-conditioning was the best. The rooms were kind of confusing, though. It was walking distance to a lot of restaurants like Pizza Hut and 2 gasoline stations each with mini-groceries. The breakfast was kind of boring, though.
"WORST HOTEL IN U.S"
The staff was rude. We were moved to 4 different rooms. Each room had urine stains, smelled like mold, was very dirty, and fleas were biting my wife and kids. We requested a pack and play and they gave us a broken crib with duct tape on it. Each time they moved us the room was horrible. We didn't stay at hotel. They refused to refund us our money. They stated that they were not authorized and couldn't physically do. We later found out they lied to us and actually could. We tried to contact manager but the number they gave us didn't work. We asked that they contact us to resolve the issue. They refused. Each time we called they stated they we not in; we found out later that they were but refused to talk to us.
Nicole B, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
I will most definitely be investigating your situation as best I can with the information provided. The staff however, is not lying by stating I was out of the office. I have been gone for several weeks and will not return for several more, I'm working remotely due to a family emergency. I am in contact with the staff daily and will find out the entire situations circumstances. Unfortunately, your name is not stated in this review for me to verify your claims. I hope you enjoy the remainder of your trip.
"Good value"
Check in and check out were fast ans easy. All the staff was great! Very upbeat, helpful and friendly. breakfast buffet for $5.25 was good...nice selection. room was nice, although you could tell it was an old-school hotel that had been redone. My room had a backdoor that went out to a courtyard...that was nice. Bathroom was a little small as i practically had to climb over the toilet to get into the shower. Really only "negative" thing i noticed was the smell in my room...it smelled like an old cocktail lounge...you know...that boozy stale gin and vodka smell. All in all, It was definitely a good stay and i would go back.
Nicole B, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
I am so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. Please know we will definitely be checking for the smell you detected and get that corrected right away. Thank you for completing a review for us to let us know how we are doing. I hope we see you again soon!
"Old, old, gross, smelly, dark and smelly. "
Smells like old smoke, stuff on the ceiling, bathroom door won't open, toilet didnt flush. Very dark. No breakfast, which is our fault. It is the reason we stay at Best Westerns, we want to grab breakfast in the morning and go. Nope, not here. Cookies were weirdly cooked. Stuff on the handle and walls. Phone doesn't work when we went to call about the toilet. The cigarette smell is the worst part. And for 10 of us (we have three rooms, but these items were just for one of them, 2220) we get $15 breakfast voucher for their in house restaurant. No thanks. You get what you pay for.
Nicole B, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
My apologies for your dissatisfaction with your stay. We will definitely be investigating your concerns to better prevent such things for our future guests. This is not the standard we expect. We are full service hotel with a full service restaurant available, therefore this is no complimentary breakfast. We do offer a full hot breakfast buffet which includes: coffee, juice, hashbrowns, sausage, pancakes, French toast, scrambled eggs, biscuits & gravy, pastries, and fruit, I am sure you can get that kind of option any where else for just $5/person. I hope you enjoy the remainder of you trip, thank you addressing your concerns.
"Disappointing"
This hotel fell below my expectations for a Best Western property. The first room I was checked into had not yet been made up; the second had a window that looked out onto a blank wall. And if you're expecting the free breakfast that comes with most Best Western stays, you won't find it here. Disappointing overall.
"Don't waste your money!"
Room looked decent tell I walked into the bathroom and someone's hair was all over it. Found stuff around the bed like they don't vacuum or clean. Sink faucet looked like someone spit on it and let it dry. No parking do to oil rig workers. Had to park at another hotel and walk.
Nicole B, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
We do apologies for your experience and will most definitely be investigating, so we can best address this issue with our staff. I am not sure however why you would have to park at another hotel, we over 300 parking spaces on site for just 190 rooms. I wish the desk staff had been contact to help assist with this matter.
"Easy to relax"
I stay at this hotel often. The rooms are always comfortable. The restaurant and lounge have the best food and drinks in town. The portions are almost too big! I always make it a point to stay there when I'm in town.
Nicole B, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Thank you for your review, Tim! It's always good to see you, usually a good laugh. If you have a minute would you stop & and see me. I think something went wrong on this review, because you gave us the worst possible score, hoping we can reverse it!
"Just great"
We thought that this was possibly the best, Best Western that we stayed in during our time in the US. King suite down the end of the complex was huge and quiet. The restaurant was a bonus with the food above average and plentiful. Staff were friendly and wanted to talk to the Aussie travelers.
"Excellent Road Stop"
Stopped at the gas station next door and inquired at the hotel. Price was spot on. This was a superior value. After many hours on the road, the hotel bar was filled with interesting individuals. Slept like a rock.
"Good facilities, bad neighbors "
The facility itself is acceptable, clean and comfortable. The staff that I interacted with were pleasant. The problem is that this hotel is used for long term lodging of oilfield workers and so the whole time it was constant noise, a fight in the courtyard over someone using another person's BBQ grill, then a fight in the hallway over some guy's girlfriend talking to another worker which was followed by a half hour of yelling, cussing and banging on doors. Next time I'm in town I'll spend more and stay somewhere that isn't used to house oilfield workers.
Nicole B, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
I do apologize for the experience you encountered. The hotel staff does try to monitor all our facilities but unfortunately at times we miss such situations. Gillette and all our local hotels do have a high demand of rooms from oil & gas companies. I hope your stay in Gillette is more comfortable.
"Cheap but a little uncomfortable."
The hotel is great for saving money and if that's all you care about, I'd say, go for it. It was clean but I thin the linen comes from second hand shops or something because they are not white anymore. With that said the most I could give it is a 2. The first room I was assigned had 3 entry doors. One to another adjoining room, one to the hallway and one to a court yard where there were bbq grills...I take it people live in this hotel. A lot of trucks in the parking lot tell me that construction workers live here temporarily? My truck blended with theirs so I figure if I got broke into at night I'd just sound the alarm and let them fight off whomever. I asked for another room and parked right out side my window which I kept cracked al night. I was a little uneasy but slept through the night. I didn't see any families there, just men and a lot of them. The rooms are quite a way down a hallway. In other words it's not a tall building with elevator. You are no where near the front desk. Pretty isolated = pretty scary.
Nicole B, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Gillette is most definitely a working class community, full of energy producing companies. Yes, we have guests that come work sometimes for weeks at a time. There is nothing scary about these workers, without them we would have no energy resources (gas, oil, coal ect). They make more money than most on average. If you were originally assigned a room that had an adjourning room, lock the deadbolt, if you had a courtyard room so you could enjoy this nicely landscaped area instead of a parking lot you can lock the deadbolt & chain for this door. Our linens are no more than 6 months old. We order them in an off white, bone color, so the housekeeping staff can easily tell the difference between queen sized sheets and king sized sheets. We are required to purchase everything we put into our rooms from preferred vendors just like any other franchise hotel. Yes, this is a very large hotel with 190 rooms, a banquet center, restaurant & bar, so to keep guests from hearing any possible noise coming from these extra facilities rooms are about 50 steps from the front office. And due the large number of rooms we have available, it's great that we can offer such great rates.
"Pleasant experience at the bar"
My wife and I traveled from Manitoba Canada and were on our way home in early March and stopped in Gillette for the night. Although we stayed in a neighboring hotel we were told the Best western had a lounge where we could enjoy a beverage after a long drive so we walked to the Best western and sat at the bar. We were very impressed with the level of service and relaxation we received there. We ordered some food and it was excellent.A very comfortable bar to sit at with good and friendly service. Thinking next time we pass through we may decide to try spending the night in this hotel. Great experience
"Snowed inn"
Clean big rooms , nice big pool, full service restaurant is great. High speed internet seemed really good. Down side No free breakfast no thermostat I'm room. Old school on off heater a/c. Worked great but ran 24/7.
Nicole B, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Thank you for your review, Mark! I am pleased you enjoyed your stay us. My apologies about thermostat, those are actually located on the wall near the bathroom sink. Nicole B.
"SPEND MONEY ON ANOTHER HOTEL!"
I take 100% responsibility for booking my families stay at this “Best Western” the pictures online made it look so nice, but don't be fooled like I was! This place appears really great from the front entrance and pictures online, as though it's been renovated. The lobby was nice, check in went smoothly and the staff at the front desk were pleasant. Upon venturing to our room we came across a hallway that WREAKED like smoke, this same hall is the one you take to get to the pool. Thankfully we didn't get that far. The carpet in the hall appeared to be “updated” but was nothing impressive. Our room was dark and the heat was all blowing up the opposite side of our window curtains. The only way to get heat directed into the room was to open the blinds, wasn't a fan of that. So then I sit down to call the front desk to ask for a pack and play (which I forgot to request upon check in) and the phone rang and rang and rang...if that's what you want to call it! It was more like a siren going off in your ear. So I hung up and thought to myself, they are just busy with other guests, and went and sat on the bed. Which I found was as hard as a rock! A few minutes later our son discovered the trim was coming off the wall and when I tried to call the front desk back I was hung up on TWICE! I finally said enough was enough, checked out and came to the Holiday Inn. Please do yourself and your family or whoever you're traveling with a favor and just choose a different hotel and spend the few extra dollars a night. You'll be thankful you did!
Nicole B, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Dear Ms. Shannon, Thank you for completing the survey regarding your recent stay at our property, each survey is important to us to try to improve upon each guest's stay. On behalf of our entire team, I would like to apologize for not meeting your expectations. I most definitely want to apologize for the inconveniences with the phone service at the front desk, this is highly unacceptable and is being dealt with. I am having maintenance address the issues with the trim in your room. The hotel did undergo a full renovation 2 years ago, unfortunately everyone has different tastes for décor. All brand new mattresses were also put into the hotel during our renovation, but these too cannot be the right match for every individual preference, some have told us these are the best beds ever. Our entire ground floor is non-smoking and we will definitely be watching more closely to ensure that is enforced and other patrons are following this policy. Your satisfaction is important to us and we will be using the feedback you gave us to implement improvements to ensure we offer a better experience for guests in the future. If I can provide any assistance, please don't hesitate to contact me directly at (307)686-2210. Sincerely, Nicole Brown General Manager Best Western Tower West Lodge
"Would stay again!"
We decided last minute to spend the night in Gillette and were very pleased with this hotel! The price was very good. There is a bar and restaurant on the premises and we were provided with a drink coupon but were too tired to use it. They do not have a continental breakfast but we were provided with a coupon towards breakfast. It looks like it is an older facility, but has been well maintained and the room was very clean and comfortable. Would stay again!

"Bussiness"
The staff was very awesome very helpful the whole time we stayed there we were there for over a month and had no issues at all with housekeeping if we need anything we would ask and they would get right on it very very professional and I'd highly recommend this place to anybody

"upgraded to a suite"
I had reserved a king bed non-smoking room. When I went to check in, I was told they were out and had upgraded me to a 2 queen bed suite. I was thinking, oh great, probably a room with 2 queen beds and a couch. Nope, it was an awesome suite, a bar, living room with a couch, 2 chairs and a desk, a huge sink and sunken bathtub. It was awesome. The only thing I didn't like about the hotel is that there aren't elevators. So, for older people or people with hip replacements like me.....having to hike stairs with luggage isn't fun. But, my room totally made up for that.
Nicole B, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
I am so pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay. I apologized we were not able to meet original request, but glad you enjoyed the suite. I do you will choose to stay with us again!
"Late Night Stop"
With inclement weather approaching I decided to stop in Gillette before continue my trip East. It was convenient and there were many dining establishment available and open in the area. The reception was friendly, and provided me a room which was, while a little dated, very clean and comfortable. I had a restful night. The motel was within easy access to the Interstate but far enough so that it was reasonably quiet. I would stay here again. A breakfast was available but not included in the price of the room. I will however say for less than the price of a chain fast food drive through breakfast what was provided was certainly excellent. The selection was certainly plentiful and varied. The breakfast itself was worth staying there the night.
Nicole B, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Thank you for taking the time to complete a review about your stay with us. I am so pleased to hear you enjoyed your stop in Gillette with us. I hope we will be able to accommodate you again if you are ever passing through! Happy Holidays!
"Ok hotel, terrible management and staff."
The hotel stay was mediocre at best. I had to stay here while doing service work for the hotel. Hot tub was broken and cold. Pool was Tiny. Breakfast was the best part of staying at his hotel. The hotel is refusing to pay for past service work dating back to May 2018. The general manager Nicole Brown and also bookkeeper Sorina Anokhine have both told me that the hotel owner Aftab Khan is building a new hotel in Denver and that is why he is not paying his bills at his Gillette hotel.
"Good hotel except its a bit inconvenient"
we stayed there one night and found it a bit inconvenient as it is far from eateries and shops , there are only a couple fast food joint at 15 minutes walk in the cold weather and dark which you dont feel safe to do , but fortunately the bar offer some food and drink but the restaurant is not open . The rooms are clean and bed are firm . For passing through and one night its acceptable . There is also a pool there.
Nicole B, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Thank you for taking the time to complete a review. Yes, our restaurant is closed on Sunday evenings, but our lounge does serve the full dinner menu as well every night of the week. There are also a couple other restaurants such as Mexican & Chinese besides fast food that are just 2 blocks down the street. We are located on the corner of a intersection of 2 highways that meet and it is generally very well lit. I will definitely check to see if there are any of the city street lights out and notify them to take of it. Thank you for your feedback.
"Summer trip"
This was by far the best dinner and breakfast stay we have had because of the attached restaurant. Older hotel but well maintained and looked good as well as quality rooms. TV because of Direct TV had poor choices to watch.

Thank you for your review, we appreciate that you took your time to complete this! I am pleased you enjoyed your stay. I will also be checking on the TV in the room which you stayed, as you should have 120+ channels available to watch through DirecTV. I hope you enjoy the remainder of your summer. Have a great day!
"No complaints"
We did not choose this hotel, it was part of a tour group package that we booked. Clean & comfortable enough with a supermarket and other eating places close by. Ok for a budget property for an overnight stay.

I am please to hear you enjoyed your stay us. Thank you for taking the time to complete a review. I hope you enjoyed the rest of your tour!
"Great night sleep"
After a long day of driving the bed was soooo comfortable, we slept right through the night. The room was very clean, I even felt comfortable walking around in my bare feet. Would I stay here again Absoulty.

"Fantastic Overall Experience"
We stopped at this hotel as we are Best Western Members and had a wonderful experience. Room was clean, comfortable and staff were fantastic. We ate at the restaurant and the food was very good - recommend the Wyoming Walleye! Also had a drink at the bar .... super service. Would definitely stay here again.

Thank you, Miss Cheryl! I am very pleased you enjoyed to your visit with us, our restaurant & lounge. I hope if you are ever in our area a gain we will have the pleasure of you as our guests!
"Good Value"
This is an older establishment, and all that that implies. However, check in was speedy, and our room was clean and quite large, with all the expected amenities, except for a microwave. There is a nice courtyard, with several seating areas, but if you go out in the early morning, the sprinklers are activated, and all the wooden benches are wet. If you are fortunate, at least one of the patio chairs will be in a spot that the sprinklers don't reach. Nice pool area, with hot tub. Our room was quiet, the beds were comfy, and we had plenty of thick towels. In the morning, I found a coffee bar located in a hallway near the lobby with coffee, water, hot water, tea bags, and powdered creamer - no cream, milk, or mini moos. When I went to the front desk to inquire about the location of the breakfast area, I was directed to an on-site restaurant. I asked a hostess if there were no complimentary breakfast, and she said no, just a full service restaurant. She noticed that I was having difficulty carrying my coffee because it was so hot, and she went and got me sleeves for the cups, which were NOT provided at the coffee bar. Got back to the room, and found hubby had been given coupons at check in for $5.00 breakfast in the restaurant, or 15 percent off if you order anything you want. Went back for a second cup of coffee, but, alas, the coffee dispensers were empty. As you can tell, coffee in the morning is pretty important to me. Overall, this establishment is a good value, and I would stay here again.

"Disgusting/ ANGRY Owner"
Check in was pleasant and the lounge was fun. We checked in about 10pm and put our kids to bed right away along with our 14 yr old daughter. Upon waking in the morning we discovered a pair of Mens Underwear along with a rag on the floor. I politely brought it to the attention of the front desk who called a housekeeping supervisor to investigate. He came into the room and removed the items with his bare hands(Grose). I was surprised that they didn't offer us a discount on our room. When my wife went to the front desk to check out she again brought it to their attention accept this time the owner was at the front desk. He called my wife a liar and told her she was trying to get a free room which she was not trying to do. When I went in there she told me how he was treating her. I informed them about previous reviews that I had read concerning similar issues. The owner about jumped over the counter then started coming out to the lobby to confront me as if he wanted to fight. I was disgusted by his behavior and his lack of desire to make things right. It is clear that he is lacking in house keeping staff and probably because not to many people are willing to work for him. It seemed that the staff that was present is afraid of their boss. We use Best Western whenever we can and im sure a lot of other people do as well. There are plenty of other Hotels in this town and I would highly recommend checking into one of those. They claim this hotel was renovated in 2016. I have taken part in renovating 2 different best westerns in Idaho and they are only specific to certain things. This place is generally disgusting. Best western would be good to take their name off of this one.
Nicole B, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
I sincerely apologize for your experience. I will be further investigating the situation. We will ensure additional training with our house keeping staff as well.

Again our sincerest apologies. We did try to correct this is as soon as informed of the problem. It's unfortunate that you you had this experience, as it is completely unacceptable for this to happen. I do hope you enjoy the rest of your trip.
"Nice rooms, helpful staff"
This motel is very reasonably priced. The lounge and restaurant attached are convenient. The front desk clerk was very courteous and helpful when we asked to be moved to a first floor room. Nice place to stay.

"Gillete Wyoming hotel stay"
Our stay in Gilette Wyoming was a stop along our way to Mt. Rushmore (from So. California). The hotel was nice, clean. The hotel offered nice amenities--free drink coupons in the evening in their onsite bar/lounge, and a breakfast coupon for discount breakfast in their onsite restaurant. The bar was packed, lots of regulars, very friendly upbeat atmosphere, and really good food!
Nicole B, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Good morning, Ms. Susan! I am very pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. Thank you for taking your time to complete a review for us, the feedback from our guests is very important. I hope you enjoy the rest of your trip!
"Being your own pillow!"
No attention to detail. Pillows are a small square brick. Feels like dishrags. Breakfast is terrible. Don't waste the $5. Rooms haven't been updated and are pretty rough. See pillow below. Location is ok.
Nicole B, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
I apologize you did not enjoy your stay with us. We do tuck our pillows pretty tight to help them stand up on the beds, but the ends can easily be loosened for comfort. Our hotel was completely renovated in 2016 and our staff has taken great pride in upkeep of all the facilities. Please know we will investigate your concerns to see how we can better serve our guests in the future.
"Love this Hotel!!!!!!!!"
This hotel is exceptionally amazing. Every time I come through I make sure to stay here. The hotel is priced excellent and the staff is great. Rooms are amazing and Restraunt and Bar are attached to hotel which makes it great!! There is nothing about this hotel that I wouldn't recommend. Everything is above excellent and would tell anyone coming through to stay here. I use it for my company and have told everyone there to stay here as well!!!!!!!!! 10 stars plus!!!!!

"Nice Hotel to sit out a snow storm"
This was a one night stay to wait out a snow storm. It was very convenient to I-90. The rooms were clean as were the public areas of the hotel. $5.00 for their breakfast seemed unusual, but didn't stay so I can't comment on quality.
Nicole B, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
I am so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us! I truly hope if you are ever in the area again, we will have the pleasure to have you as our guest again. I hope you have a week!
"Would not stay here again"
Came for a conference and hotel hallways/housekeeping/stairwells were dirty. Rooms were noisy. Pool was broken and we were not made aware. A bug crawled up the wall and into a hole in the ceiling. There is no free breakfast and they made it hard to use the free drink tickets.
Nicole B, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Again, I do apologize for your experience, this is not the standard in which we try to uphold. As I stated before, there were mechanical issues with the pool which had to be addressed immediately and yes while the pool was drained we decided to go ahead & have it repainted, so we would have to close it down a second time. The pool was only shut down for 3 days, and is up & running. It is very unfortunate this had to occur during such a bust time, but it was truly unplanned. As, I stated in your other review, we are also on a monthly pest control prevention plan. The suite in which you were given a complimentary upgrade to, has since been inspected and we have found no pests. We were able to upgrade your family to suite for the weekend, which is normally priced over $150/night, but we were able to give the same price as a standard room at only $71.99. Your reservation was not booked directly to hotel per the instructions for the function you were attending. The group had made prior arrangements for all attendees that booked directly to the group block to receive a complimentary breakfast. Please know we take all concerns very seriously to try to prevent any issues for our future guests. Again, I do apologize for your dissatisfaction.
"Nice clean hotel"
The hotel experience was good from when we checked in to when we left. The check in was speedy fast, I was only at the counter for maybe two minutes, they had everything ready and all I did was sign, login my vehicle and they explained to me the breakfast deals. they are great $5 hot breakfast or 15% off if you want anything off the menu. The Western Omelet was Outstanding and the eggs and sausage the next day was good as well. My wife loved the French toast it was light and fluffy. Everything was great except the pool was down for the week and we were hoping to use it, maybe next time.
Nicole B, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
I am very pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. I will be sure to share your compliments with the staff, as they take great pride in their work. I do apologize for the pool being out of order. There were some mechanical issues that needed attention, so we decided to paint it as well while it was empty. It is up & running and should be of full use for you during your next stay. I appreciate you taking the time to complete this review and hope we see you again soon!
"One Night Stop"
There are no lifts in this motel, & we had to drag our luggages through a maze of corridors, then up the stairs. When we went to the reception area for coffee, we could not find our way back to our room - confusing winding maze of corridors that lead to a lot of exits. Our room on the 2nd floor was large with a microwave oven, fridge, iron, but no safe. It was a comfortable sleep for one night. Food outlets close by are Burger King, Subway & Pizza Hut.
Nicole B, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Thank you for taking the time to complete a review about your stay with us. I will definitely be looking into providing a better map for future stays. If you are ever in the area again, we would be more happy to accommodate you with a ground floor room, since there is only 2 floors to the property, we do not have an elevator. Something that may also assist in finding your way around the property, is it is a large square, hollow in the center for access to our courtyard. I hope this helps, we would truly enjoy having you as our guest again!
"I'LL DEFINATELY BE BACK!!"
The hotel as a whole was great. All of the staff is amazing and very helpful. My meals were fantastic. I ate morning, noon and night there. The food value was better than most. I will definitely book my next stay there when returning to town!

We thought the hotel offered excellent value and experience. The staff was amazing. The restaurant staff was outstanding at dinner and breakfast the following morning. They were friendly and knowledgeable without hovering and gushing.

"Very friendly staff and excellent accomodations"
This is a beautiful hotel in Gillette, WY. Staff went out of their way to make our stay the best of a 10 day trip. Restaurant had great food. Loved their $5.00 breakfast choices, hot and made to order, not in a steam tray. Highly recommend this hotel.

"Best motel at the lowest price of our trip so far"
Mom and I shared a ground floor room with two queen beds last night. The room was very spacious, the beds comfortable, great water pressure in the shower ... the attached restaurant had a wonderful breakfast buffet in the morning - well worth the $5.25. Good food, comfortable seating with real silverware and linens. Internet connection was strong and fast enough for all my needs. My only less favorable comment would be that our room was across the walkway from the swimming pool, and on a Friday night, there was a large group of rowdy young adults whooping and hollering it up in there until a bit after 10:00. The pool is open until 11:00. Luckily for us they left the pool earlier than that as I would not have been able to fall asleep with all that noise right outside our window.
Nicole B, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Thank you for completing a review about your stay with us. I am glad to hear you enjoyed your stay with us. And next we will know to keep you away from the pool. I hope you enjoyed the rest of your trip!
"Great hotel"
Another great hotel on our road trip and one we would definitely stay at again. Our room was very comfortable and there was no noise which enabled us to get a good night's sleep. we were on our way to Devil's Mountain which is only about an hour away so ideal for us.

Hotel staff were all excellent. From front desk to maintenance to housekeeping everybody had a smile and was friendly. Top Notch restaurant, and very pleasant Lounge was excellent with an excellent attentive staff.
"Happy one"
This was the best I have stayed in, in a long time. I would definitely stay again. All employees were very friendly and willing to help with anything. Everything I needed was right there. I would recommend this motel to anyone needing to stop in Gillette. Very friendly.
"Gillette Star"
Great place for medium sized conferences. Very pleasant, easy to get around the hotel. very clean conference rooms, and change over to banquet was very fast. wonderful employees. A great experience with very friendly staff.

"Touring The West"
Since traveling now for a month heading West we have stayed in numerous and different hotels other than BW. The price(s) have been much more. But I have also found that at the various BW across the East to West travels there's been a great difference in price among the BW, Most have been reasonable but also some have been overly priced because of some sort of event going on in the area of the BW we were staying in.

"Layout of this hotel is like a MAZE and keycard easily desensitized and need to walk to front desk yourself..."
I love the breakfast served here because the scrambled eggs truly tasted like egg and not powdered watery egg taste; Thumb Up for this in using real eggs to make the scrambled egg which is RARE to find in other properties. I can finally taste the egg in hotel scrambled egg breakfast. This hotel has an onsite restaurant that is worth going every night as they served daily dinner special buffet. We were there on Sunday August 20th, 2017and their Dinner Buffet priced at $10.99 pp is quite a good deal. My kids love the foods there, the usual fare: beef, cabbages rolls, Pineapple Ham, Fried Chicken, salads, 2 kinds of soups, mash potatoes with gravy, Mac & Cheese and a small dessert corner. The room key cards do not seem to work after we came back from the dinner at the hotel. It was a long wait for the front desk to answer my call outside my second floor room at Building # 3 and was told by this guy at the front desk that I must have desensitized the key cards by placing the key cards next to my phone. Now, this is something new that I learn of key card technology that one cannot put the key card on any electronic as it might desensitize the room key card. I know this is a bogus story since I stayed in many hotels in the past and present and when situation like this happened, nobody ever provided me the excuse that I placed my key card next to electronic devices. I told this guy to send someone to deliver a new key card to my room instead of me going down with my 7 and 11 years old daughter and walked from Buidling #3 to front desk and back again. It is only 8:30 pm and my request is met with a flat No because there is nobody he can send up. Plain laziness and lack of customer service are my summarization of the front desk for this property. Management, please do me a big favor by educating your front desk not to tell bogus story about key card get desensitized when putting next/on top of cell phone. My husband is in the cell phone research and development technology field and when I told him this after our trip, he LOL and told me that I easily bought in with the myth of key card desensitized due to putting next to electronic devices. No matter whether it is a myth that is true or not, the way this person handled the situation left me with very little desire to want to stay in this property because every time you are lock out of your room and you are assigned room further away from the front desk, the front desk will put the blame on you and expect you to walk back to front desk to pick up a new set of key card. The inconvenience of the guest is not addressed by the front desk when this property is like a sprawling maze with long winding hall way that branches out to exit door followed by open walk way to another building of room and no elevator will try your patience after a long tired journey in the car. I would not stay at this place but will patronize the onsite restaurant for the daily dinner special because the foods are quite good and price is reasonable.
Nicole B, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
I do apologize for the huge inconvenience of your key being deactivated. There truly are many reasons this can happen. Anything with something magnetic in it can demagnetize the key cards (cell phone, car keys with an auto start button, credit card, tablets, ect.) I do understand this is a large building. At this time of night there may not have been a maintenance person in the building to bring another key. But for the safety of all guests, we generally request you return to the desk to fix the key issue, so we can ensure you are the correct person trying to get in the correct room. For safety & security, a hotel should never accept a phone call to verify this. This definitely should have been handled better and explained more thoroughly. I apologize & will visit with my staff about your situation. We do look forward to having you as a guest in our restaurant again!
"Wonderful motel"
This motel has a first class restaurant and cocktail lounge. We were travelling on a motorcycle and after a 550 plus mile day being able to enjoy dinner and cocktails right in the motel was a special treat. Right next door is a service station with a convenience store. Very clean room, fast internet and comfy bed.
"Gillette - Best Western - great beds"
Facility is good, full service and good location. Hotel allows for motorcycles to be parked under covered area....but the bed by far the best....it was outstanding! Have stayed at this hotel a few times and never disappointed. Also like that there's access to the courtyard/hot tub from the room.
"Travel "
Very nice room. Comfortable bed. The center courtyard accessible from the room was wonderful. Staff was helpful and friendly. All the Best Westerns I have stayed at have never been a disappointment. Keep up the exceptional work guys.
"Easy location to find for a great price"
Checked in late due to going to Yellowstone and driving thru Montana. Called the best western to say I'll be be there at 1am and had no issues. Room was clean. Didn't eat at the restaurant but they give you discount breakfast coupons upon check in. Overall good experience.

"No included breakfast!"
We spent one night here on our way to the West coast. We always try to stay at Best Western hotels. The receptionist was not at the counter when we arrived but when I made some noise, the receptionist came out. We noticed there was coffee on a stand in the hallway (no cookies however). The coffee wasn't hot, however. In the morning, there was NO included breakfast. This is the first Best Western we have ever started on that had no free breakfast!!.
Nicole B, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Thank you for completing a review about your stay with us. We do put out cookies each afternoon about 4:00pm but grab some right away they go fast. I will definitely have the coffee freshened more often. We do not have a free breakfast due to our full service restaurant on-site. We offer great $5 hot breakfast options instead, and our rates are generally much lower than the hotels with breakfast included. I do hope you will stay with us again. Thank for your feedback so we can address your concerns.
"reasonable price"
I was worried that prices would be high since there was a motorcycle rally. However, I was pleased that rates were reasonable. Nice room and friendly staff made the stay even nicer. The motel was close to the interstate but very quiet. Maids might want to use the hose on the vacuum more often but other than that the room was very clean.
Nicole B, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
I am very pleased you enjoyed your stay with us! Thank you for completing this review and I sure hope to have you as our guest again!
"Disappointing"
Stayed 2 nights as part of a 3 day road trip. Rate did not match web site. Manager did not explain at booking or follow up call. Key cards worked 20% of the time. Was basically told it was our fault. Tub was slippery. Arrived late so ordered room service. Chicken in sandwich was raw. Complained twice to front desk to reduce charge. Manager not there at check out & price had not been changed & desk could not change. Floor was dirty. Housekeeping carts parked in hall all day with worker's kids there all day. Folded clean towels stacked on dirty hall carpet before being loaded on carts. Front desk never apologized for any inconvenience. Been faithful BW client for decades. One of the worst ever, only 2nd to 1 in LA where we heard gunshots in the middle of the night. Never even offered extra points, coupons, anything to stay loyal. Not up to BW standards.
Nicole B, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Good afternoon- The rate you booked upon guaranteeing your reservation is the rate you were charged, I as I had explained while on the phone with you. I did remove your room service fee for your meal as discussed. Unfortunately, yes we have to have our housekeeping carts in the hallways while we are trying to clean our rooms and yes, it does take most of the day to clean almost 200 rooms. I do apologize you were not satisfied with your stay, and will take into consideration your concerns. I hope you have a nice day.
"Great price, clean, and big room."
The room was large and very clean. If I'm in Gillette again we will definitely stay here. The price was great too. They even included a coupon for breakfast, but we weren't able to use it. Had the most restful night of the trip at this hotel.
Nicole B, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
I am very pleased you enjoyed your stay with us and look forward to you returning to Gillette! Have a great day!
"Overbilled"
Checked AAA rate and availability online, then confirmed and booked with hotel directly over the phone for one night. Confirmed rate again at check-in. Next morning, was locked out because key was deactivated before 7 AM. Clerk reactivated. Returned to clerk to check out and billing statement showed higher rate. Clerk said she could not correct because they had already posted to my credit card, but the manager would be in later to fix and would call me. Also, staff created BW account using my personal information without my permission. Rate never got corrected despite request, manager never called me back, and the stay was not applied to my already established BW account. Now I have 2 BW accounts. Rooms are clean, not too bad. Allowed pet with small fee. Would have rated better, but my frustration with the rate and the unauthorized use of my personal information warrants "poor" rate.
Nicole B, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
As I have previously stated, the rate you received was $69.99, a manager's special, and no other discounts were being accepted. You signed and dated your registration card at this rate. This a very, very low rate for peak travel season and we have not offer any thing lower for months.
"Clean up the cleaners"
Housekeeping left thier carts in the hallway for hours outside my room. They left the door to the laundry room open all day, used the luggage cast to move should linen (got to carry all of my luggage). The for to the housekeeping managers office was open all day not that neat and clean of a place. People who smoke had thrown thier butts on the ground because there was no ashtray of any kind in the common area.
Nicole B, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
We have already addressed your concerns as I said I would in my response to your Best Western survey. I hope you have a pleasant day.
"Overnight"
Overnight this did the trick. The hotel is large and a bit of a maze. The room was ok. Nothing fancy. It had a coffee maker, fridge and micro. Breakfast was not included. They gave us a slip for choice of $5 breakfast. The room is ok. It could use an update. It was quiet and the beds were comfy.
Nicole B, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Thank you for a completing a review, each one is important us. I do hope to have you as our guest again.
"Would not recommend this hotel."
There is a Marriott across the street. Spend the extra and get a room there, unless you like a hotel that smells like cigarette smoke and someone elses dirty underwear hanging from the doorknob inside the bathroom.
Nicole B, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
I am so sorry for this incident during your stay. Please know this is not acceptable service for us. Please know I will handling this to ensure it does not happen again. Thank you for your time!
"Okay place"
I usually love Best Western and seek it out. I was a bit put off by the adjoining steakhouse, which offered most big steaks or a really inadequate buffet. Our free drinks were just cheap wine. The waitress, however, was fabulous. We didn't get to use the breakfast coupons, not wanting to take the time to place an order. I don't remember much about the room, either good or bad.
Nicole B, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review

Make sure you visit the restaurant/lounge at this hotel. It was fantastic. The staff was great and room was large and very clean. The dinner and the breakfast were awesome. The clerk at check in was very polite and made recommendations to try the restaurant in the hotel. It was very convenient and had a wide selection of food.

"Wonderful!"
The staff were all very polite, professional and went out of their way to provide wonderful service. The food was ample and delicious and the wait staff were excellent and really helpful. I can't say enough about this lodge, The rooms were clean, comfortable and we all slept well. The only drawback was our room had no view of anything but an outside wall otherwise it was a happy experience.

Great place to stay! Nice spacious clean room, on site restaurant, indoor pool and whirlpool. The staff are the real asset, friendly, helpful, courteous and the chef is GREAT! In the evening Cindy was super and come morning we met Kaye who knew where all the great jewelry shopping was located plus unique places to see. Then I met Nicole the General Manager who was awesome! Should your journey take you this direction this is a great place to stay! Should be a Best Western Premire hotel!

"dirty bathroom, air conditioner made us sick"
Checked in at 1 am. Changed rooms, first room's bathroom dirty, I.e. toilet seat up with hair and drippings. Second room air conditioning didn't work. Room never cooled off and next day we had horrible headaches and sinus issues. My son also had a nose bleed.
Nicole B, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Again, I apologize for your experience. This is not acceptable service at our hotel. Please know we have taken action to prevent such incidents in the future. I hope you are both feeling better.
"Great Stay!"
I have stayed at alot of hotels in my two week adventure but this one rates amongst the highest. Finally found a bed that was comfortable, price was where it should be. The only thing this hotel needs in a reno, but the rooms are clean, staff are very nice and restaurant food was really good for breakfast. Great Job!

"Need's A Lot Of Work"
This could be a nice hotel to stay at, but it need's a lot of TLC. Great area and easy to get there. The hotel it's self need's a llt of work though. Hard to get around on the inside of the hotel. Noisy hallway's, etc. Too expensive for the average family for what you get in return.
Nicole B, Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
I am disappointed to hear you did not enjoy your stay with us. We did complete a full renovation of the hotel at the beginning of 2016, which we have had many, many raves about. I apologize if we some less than considerate guests making noise in our halls, as well. We try to monitor them frequently for any disturbances. I will be addressing your concerns to ensure a more pleasant stay for our future guests.
"Stay for the Breakfast!"
I have stayed at this hotel several times and it is ok for the price of a hotel in the area but I have never tried their breakfast till now! Let me tell you it is a GREAT breakfast for room service! I could not believe how quick it was and the amount of food! if you say here make sure you get their breakfast!

"Spacious rooms, excellent service, great value"
I do a lot of traveling over the year and highly recommend this property...spacious rooms, comfortable beds, excellent service. The hotel location is excellent, right by the interstate. The food quality in the restaurant is fresh, and a good value. The staff go out of their way to accommodate you.

"Great hotel with a real restaurant in it"
Great food and did not have to leave hotel and could get room service. Clean rooms. One of the biggest pool areas I have seen at a best western in the middle of the hotel there is a nice picnic area with trees in the area.
Nicole B, General Manager at Best Western Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Thank you for completing a review about your stay with us. I am very pleased you enjoyed our hotel. I sure hope we get to have you as our guest again soon!
"Clean, comfortable, courteous "
Stayed two nights for a conference. Slept great, room well-maintained, beautiful lobby, friendly bar. Hotel-catered meals were fresh and flavorful. Hotel desk staff allowed three of us to hang around the afternoon after checkout watching the Kentucky Derby on the lobby TV, then took us in the van to the airport immediately after. Great choice for a conference.

"Average"
Hotel was clean and in average shape and the rooms were clean and in good shape, but was a little out dated and the shower was dimly lit, small and shower head was way too low, even for me at 63" tall.

"Great Hotel! Wonderful Staff!"
I travel approximately 120 to 130 motels a year. My first trip to this hotel was very impressive. Attractive facility, very clean, and we'll maintained. My contact with the staff of this facility was a very good experience. The front desk, the bar, and the restaurant were great.

I can't say enough about the staff at this hotel. They are at the top of the hospitality industry. Ivan Jody, and the rest of the crew make sure your stay is comfy and enjoyable. Excellent location. Rooms are pretty as as a biz traveler have the ameniries you would want and need. YES! I would stay here again.

"Very Pleasant Stay"
Room was more than adequate. Clean, nice linens (except for the BW small pillows). Check in with Ivan, very friendly and quick. Complimentary drink at the steak house was much appreciated after a long day's drive. Location good. Price very reasonable!! Will return.

"My stay"
Very nice hotel the entrance was very nice comfortable vibe. Very nice staff through out the hotel and restaurant. We had buffet meals all week through my work there food was excellent. The bar tender the one night I went for a drink was super slow, got 1 drink in an hour stay
Nicole B, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Good morning! Thank you for taking your time to write this review about your stay. I am very pleased you and enjoyed your stay with us last week. I will also be investigating the service in you received in the lounge. I sure hope we will have you as our guest again soon!
"Where's the Breakfast?"
This BW does not offer any type of breakfast for its customers. They give you a list of four "breakfast options" that you can purchase in the local restaurant for $5.00. They do not even offer coffee in the lobby for their guests. I have never stayed at a BW that did not offer a complimentary breakfast of some type. The commode in the room had a leak which caused the water to drain and refill every 5 minutes. Very annoying! Unpleasant odor in the room. Will find a motel which offers a complimentary breakfast/coffee when I return to this area.
Nicole B, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Good morning! I do apologize again about the commode leak, I do understand this would be very annoying, and this was repaired as soon as I was informed. We do however, provide complimentary coffee, decaf, hot tea and fruit infused water in the lobby. As hotel with a full service restaurant we do not provide a complimentary breakfast and give the coupon options instead. Our rates are also lower than other local limited service hotels that do have a complimentary breakfast. I understand these things are important and apologize for the misunderstanding. Thank you-
"Great Buffet for New Years Day"
We were passing thru on New Year's Day looking for breakfast. Saw that they had a restaurant so we stopped in. It was New Years Day Buffet. $12.00 each and it was spectacular. Omelet station, on site made deserts, and a very good selection of salads, breakfast meats, and dinner meats, vegetable and potatoes. Friendly staff. It was a bonus find.
Nicole B, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Good morning, Joe! Thank you for taking the time to complete a review about your experience! I am very pleased you enjoyed our Sunday Brunch. Sure hope you have time to stop by and see us again. Thank you and Happy New Year!
"gillette a-ok"
the restaurant and lounge are top notch. I really enjoyed the seafood buffet. It was very well done and delicious. The bar was well appointed and having your first drink provided by the hotel helped. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone going to Gillette.
Nicole B, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Thank you so much for taking the time to complete a review about your stay with us! I am very pleased you enjoyed your stay and our Seafood buffet, it is a big hit locally. I sure hope that we see you again if you are ever in the Gillette area. Have great day!
"Very nice hotel"
Clean, comfortable, excellent food and service. A free drink is offered for the "in house"restaurant, or lounge/bar, and a $5.00 breakfast instead of the full menu choice is also offered. The dinner menu in the lounge/bar was a very reasonable price.(I was there on a Sunday and the restaurant was closed for dinner.)The shower head was a rain shower variety, which was fantastic. A Grab and Go bag was given upon checkout which contained a granola bar, a piece of fruit, and water. Great marketing plan! And this is a pet friendly hotel.

"Perfect place to stop"
This was the perfect place to stop before entering the mountains. Reasonably priced, clean rooms, great showers, comfy bed, friendly staff. The pillows were too hard for us and we both woke with neck aches. I recommend bring your own.
Nicole B, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Thank you, Miss Sue for taking your time to complete a review about your stay with us. I am very glad to hear you enjoyed it. I apologize for the pillows, they are fairly new. I hope we will see you again! Thank you!
"Somewhat disappointing stay in Gillette, WY"
I typically stay at Best Westerns when traveling and the Tower West Lodge was right on my route at a decent stopping point and offered a great price for a night's stay. The staff was friendly and helpful; the room accommodations were fine and the bed comfortable for the weary traveler. Unfortunately, the WiFi offered a standard and a premium service. Since I didn't require any streaming services, I chose the standard service, which constantly lost connection to the internet. I called the reception desk about the problem and the staff person was kind and thoughtful enough to offer to change my room to a more central location, which I did, but the change didn't help matters and I ended up giving up on the motel's WiFi. I had breakfast in the motel's restaurant, as I'd received a voucher that included four reduced price offerings from the motel. The french toast was excellent, coffee was included and the waitress provided good service, but a comparison of the price with the regular menu showed the portions were reduced proportionately with the voucher price. It reminded me of the hotel keeper in Les Miserables, everything was extra, lol.
Nicole B, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
I am pleased to hear most of your stay was enjoyed. I apologize for the inconveniences caused by the internet, and I will have this looked into right away. We do offer a hotel guest coupon that offers 4 meals for only $5.00 that does include coffee. The cost of these meals is much less than menu, therefore the portion smaller. But you could also opt to order from the full menu with a discount of 15%, as stated on the coupon. I apologize for the confusion, I will visit with the staff about maybe trying to explain it better. Kind Regards!
"Good Hotel"
Front desk clerk was friendly and helpful at check in. Room was clean. Hotel has a great restaurant inside. We were given coupons for a free drink with our dinner. The waitress was the best, we overtipped her (a lot), she was that good. Downside, coffee in the lobby in the morning was lukewarm and not very good. Had a mishap though. At 1am we woke up to a rainstorm only to find out it was a broken sprinkler shooting a 4 ft. geyser at our window. (not the hotel's fault). It did this 3 times, so not a lot of sleep. I reported it in the morning and they were very apologetic. Room rate was very reasonable.
Nicole B, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Good afternoon! I am very pleased you enjoyed your stay us. Again, I apologize for the sprinkler mishap. I sure hope if you are ever in the Gillette area again, we will be able to have you as our guest. Have a great day!
"Great location for traveling!"
MY husband and I recently stayed here, while on our trip out west. The hotel was very nice, clean and had a great restaurant inside. We were given coupons for a wonderful $5.00 breakfast that was delicious!! We also received coupons for complimentary drinks. While here we drove 45 minutes to see Devil's Tower. It was very easy to find and the front desk staff verified our directions. We would highly recommend staying here!

"Great hotel at a great price"
Two weeks ago we were in Gillette and stayed at a different hotel. It was run down and not very well run. This time we stayed at the Best Western. It was very nice! The rooms were clean, the hotel was updated and taken care of. Instead of giving you a dry, poor quality continental breakfast they gave you a three or four choices of a hot breakfast to be served to you or gave you a certain percent off ordering off the menu. Nice and helpful; and quiet!
Nicole B, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Thank you, Jenna, for taking the time to write a review about your stay with us. All reviews are very helpful to us as we continue to strive for excellence every day. I am very pleased you enjoyed your stay and sure hope we will have you as our guest again. Have a wonderful day!
"Nice place"
Front desk staff was nice. Room is clean. The down side is we were unable to make coffee in our room as the coffee pot was incomplete. Not the way I like to start my day. But the place is nice, grounds are somewhat kept. The pool area needs updating. There are no child locks going in to the pool area. On that note, not sure I would stay here again.
Nicole B, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Thank you for the taking the time to complete a review of your stay with us. All feedback is important to us. We do have single serve cup coffee makers, there is no coffee pots. We do have staff 24 hours to assist with all requests, please never hesitate to ask for assistance, we are more than happy to help make every stay better! I do hope you would consider staying with us again. Have a great day!
"Friendly Staff"
We arrived late night and the staff was very helpful and pleasant. we arrived late night without reservations and the front desk clerk was very nice and gave us a very good room and the price was pretty decent for on the spot check in.

"Great place to stay in "Razor City""
We recently stayed at the Best Western Tower West Lodge in Gillette and were very pleased. The whole hotel was managed professionally from the kitchen staff to the front desk. My husband did fall coming in over a step which had been marked with yellow paint, it was simply an accident, but the staff took care of his injury promptly. Breakfast had a coupon in the restaurant and was very good.
Nicole B, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
I am very pleased you enjoyed your stay here with us in Gillette. I am sorry to here about the accident, but I sure do hope your husband is alright. I hope if you are ever in the area again we will have the pleasure to have you as our guest. Also, thank you for taking the time to complete a review about your stay. Have a great day!
"Stay in Gillette, Wyoming"
There were no signs on the halls telling us the way to the lobby. We ended up taking a long way to lobby. Yes I said something to them and they told us which way to go. There was no free breakfast. We got a coupon for five dollars for our breakfast. Food was good.
Nicole B, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Good afternoon! Thank you for taking the time to complete a review about your stay with us. I am pleased you enjoyed your stay. We do have directional signage at every entrance in building, but I will look into ensuring it is adequate. We do value each guests experience and try to improve the experience for each guest to come. Thank you!
"Very Relaxing Stay"
I decided to take a detour from my trip, Houston Texas to Billings Montana... Wanted to see the Eastern Wyoming area, looking for a hunting area.. I was very tired and stressed from the drive and just walked into this hotel with no reservation and was treated like I was a regular visitor. The desk clerk and the Ladies in the lounge were extremely polite.... Wish all my hotel stays were as relaxing and enjoyable as the one at this hotel... If ever in this vicinity I will defiantly stay here!!!
Nicole B, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Good morning! Thank you for taking the time to complete a review of your stay with us. I am very pleased you decided to stop in Gillette and that you enjoyed your stay. There are some areas for hunting around here and sure you will be able to come back to the area for that. I hope you have a wonderful day!
"Restful stay after a day at Mount Rushmore and Devil's Tower"
The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean. It was a bit dark but that's ok with me. We didn't have any trouble with noise in the hall or from the outside. Our family enjoyed the pool and were surprised by the quality of the food at the hotel restaurant. The laundry was busy so we chose to wait another day to do our laundry. Our AC unit started making a racket during the night but I tuned it out and still slept well.
Nicole B, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
I am so glad your family enjoyed their stay in Gillette with us. Thank you for taking your time to write a review about your stay. I sure hope if you are ever in the area again we will have the pleasure to have you as our guest again!
"Surprisingly nice!"
Great hotel, spent 1 night on cross-country drive. The town is nice, the area of the hotel seemed nice. Gas station/convenience stores walkable distance. Room very nicely appointed and clean (including sanitized tv remote), everything worked well. Air conditioner worked well. There is a train track near the hotel at the back and train can be heard but I am a light sleeper and it wasn't loud enough to be a problem. Otherwise room very quiet. Housekeeping was quiet and respected my Do Not Disturb. Bed very comfortable but IMO pillows too fat. Easy check-in and -out, staff pleasant. Voucher for restaurant next door for breakfast was nice but get there before cut-off time. Overall a great value and very nice stay for a good night's rest.
Nicole B, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Tower West Lodge, responded to this review

"Average hotel"
The room was a bit dated and dark and dingy, but there was really nothing wrong. The hotel came highly recommended by a local Avis agent so I had expected something better. However, the price was right compared to other hotels in town that were posting on-line prices from 50 to 100% more. The biggest disappointment was the cocktail lounge which was too smoky to sit in and take advantage of the free drink offered by the front desk. I travel a lot in the US, Canada, Europe and South America and this is the first time in 8 years that I have been in a bar or restaurant where smoking was allowed
Nicole B, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your stay with us. We did complete a full remodel over 2014 & 2015. Smoking is still allowed in bars in Campbell County, each county in Wyoming determines their own laws on the subject. It is not allowed in restaurants however, and the complimentary drink could have been ordered in the dining room. I apologize for your inconveniences and hope you would choose to stay with us again.
"Excellent motel"
Had an overnight stay here on the way home from a business trip. Very clean, staff was very attentive and the food at the onsite hotel was excellent. Received two free drink coupons and $5 breakfast coupon. We had flown in on a private plane and motel picked us up on the shuttle. We would definitely stay here again.

"Free Ice Cream!!"
Great service and nice hotel! Staff was friendly and attentive. Price was a little high, but staff and service made up for it. Nice pool and great location. Got to enjoy discount at local restaurant and close to Cabelas.

"Okay Place--Service Lacking"
Stayed there on my cross-country trip. Forgot something in my room. Called them within 90 minutes. Said they'd check, never called me back. Awful service, would never recommend them. Room was adequate. Definitely decided against the breakfast. Nothing looked edible.
Nicole B, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
I apologize for not meeting your expectations, this is not acceptable customer for us. Can you please contact me directly at nmbrown12376@gmail.com, so I can find out what item you are looking for and see if we can find it. We do try to track down items & return them to guests as a courtesy, but please keep in mind hotels are not responsible for lost, stolen or left behind items. I would also like to check the dates you stayed with us, so I can also speak with breakfast staff. Kind Regards-
"Don't do it!"
Disgusting place. Pillows are hard. No elevator! Had the lug a heavy cooler up to second floor. Entrance to front and restaurant reek of smoke. The pictures look great because they are of the front but the actual rooms are out back in some apartment style buildings.
Nicole B, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
I am disappointed to learn you did not enjoy your stay with us. Our hotel does not have an elevator for only a two story building. But, we did have ground floor rooms available the evening of your stay, and would have been more than happy to meet that request had it been made. I am not sure what is meant an apartment style building, but we do have a very large building of almost 200 rooms that was completely remodeled in 2014 & 2015 by the guidelines of professional designers. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate everyone's personal preference for pillows. Our pillows are newer and the required brand of all Best Western properties. Smoking is allowed in our bar, but not in the restaurant or lobby. Again, I apologies you did not enjoy your stay. Kind regards-
"Not to bad for the price"
Room was average. No king beds. Breakfast was not so good, only gave a few choices and have to eat on paper plates. Not the best. Room was good to stay in. No elevator to the second floor, so be prepared carry your suitcases to the second floor.
Nicole B, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Good morning- I am sorry to hear you did not enjoy your stay with us. We do actually have many rooms with king size beds, but we were extremely busy this past week with the National High School Finals Rodeo in town, and may not have had any king room still available at the time you requested. I am a bit confused about the paper plates & breakfast however. We do have a full service restaurant on-site, which serves a full breakfast menu with 20 plus items, and we served a full hot breakfast buffet this past week, plus we give each guest a coupon with 4 different meals to choose from that are only $5.00 each. And we do not use paper plates ever in our dining room. I do hope you would consider staying with us again. I am confident our service is much better than during your recent stay. I hope you have a great weekend!
"Nice Surprise"
Booked this hotel while traveling on our motorcycle for 10 days. This is a great hotel located right off the interstate. Very clean and bigger than it looks. All amenities were trouble free and the staff was wonderful. Nice big indoor pool. The restaurant was great for breakfast and the food was awesome. Rooms are large and very comfy. reasonable price and they offer discounts. Would stay here again!!!

"Old favorite"
I have been staying at the Towers for over 30 years. They have always kept it updated and contemporary. Really like a fully integrated location, (room, lounge, and restarant), and more. Nice landscaping.

"Very decent hotel"
Everything about this hotel was good and equal to the standards of the hotel industry, but it was not priced as low as other Best Westerns we stayed at during this vacation. I don't think Gillette, WY is a very high cost of living area that would necessitate the price gouging.
Nicole B, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Thank you for taking the time to complete a review of your stay with us. I am pleased to know you enjoyed most of it. I did research your rate with us, and I show you were only charged $80.99plus tax ($86.66), which is $30-60 less than many hotels even in Gillette. I have checked with numerous other hotels in a couple hundred mile radius of Gillette to find many hotels are priced over $150.00/night. Even this past weekend in Rapid City, SD most hotels were charging over $250/night. Gillette is high traffic tourism area between Mount Rushmore & Yellowstone National Park, as well an energy industry community, at times hotels have been priced fairly high but not currently. If your records indicate that you were billed any differently than I show, please contact me directly at the hotel and will be happy to assist you further. Have a wonderful day!. Nicole B.
"never stay there again"
Stayed there for two nights. On the last night we came into the room to find our bags have been messed with and some of my wife's prescription medication is missing. Went down the the front desk and got nothing but the run a round. Left my name and number for the manager to give me a call and never got a call tell after I filled a complaint customers service to have no resolution. Had to make contact with the local police
"Best Western, Gillette, Wyoming"
Great stay. So much to do. I only stayed one night but wish I could stay a week. If I ever have the money again, I will go stay a week. The staff were all so tentative to me as I was traveling with my 4 year old great grandson. He really enjoyed the afternoon cookies and was amazed at the large breakfast.

"Sauna rooms with theft"
Not to Best Western standards... Rooms look nice, beds are comphy and that's about the nicest thing about this hotel... I'm a Best Western employee at another hotel and by no means expect special treatment, but if this is how they treat guests it's not worth it. Most of the front desk were dressed nice but did not have a pleasant attitude, almost as if you were wasting their time. A/c didn't work even after being fixed twice... Finally had to borrow a fan at 1130 the second night be cause the wedding party was way to loud to be able to leave windows open. Please don't leave items in the rooms because the housekeeping will take it..at check out they didn't even care to talk just had you a receipt.
Nicole B, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
I am disappointed to hear we did not meet your expectations. But as you know from working in a hotel mistakes do happen and we use all the feedback we can to improve upon every guests stay. There has been no theft of any items from your room or any other. It is too bad you are missing medication but your prescription was not taken by any of our staff. The people you are accusing have been doing housekeeping for us for many years and we have not had such complaints about them in the past. We do have a message that if your items are found to contact you and that we will do.
"awesome"
The stay was excellent and the staff kind caring and understanding. Through some confusion, a slight emergency the staff made the stay enjoyable and comfortable. The staff went above and beyond what they had to do, along with the reservation center and customer service. Best western offers customer service the way it should be

"Exceeded expectations"
Nice decor, friendly customer service, orange water, free drink tickets, cookies when checking in, clean room, and nice bar with pool tables next door. We saved $45 staying here over holiday inn and it was a good choice. Would stay here again!

Room was clean and well appointed. Front desk staff was very friendly. Had seafood buffet and was very impressed. Only thing I did not care for was the smoking in the bar. But that is my deal and I understand. Bartenders were friendly and poured a good drink.

"Comfortable Stay"
This location is conveniently located within a short distance from the airport. The staff was pleasant and very helpful and the room was very comfortable. I stayed on the bottom floor which had a door to the patio courtyard. I didn't eat in the restaurant - but heard the food was really good. I did enjoy a complimentary glass of wine at the bar - which was quite smoky; other than the smoky bar everything was great!

"Very Nice for the price"
Stayed at the Tower West Lodge one night while travel through Wy. for the money this is an excellent choice. Rooms are very clean and spacious, the food at the restaurant was good and they portions are large. Plenty of gas stations, convenient stores close by and they are about a minute off interstate. I will be staying there again.

"Always above '8's'"
We have stayed at this hotel for several reunions and have always been well satisfied. This time, however, we were unable to use the breakfast coupons because the restaurant did not open until 7:00 and we had to be on our way by then.

"Best Western Tower West"
We spent one night here. They were pretty full... the front desk people were polite and friendly... The grounds and hotel were clean. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. Despite the hotel being full, it was a quiet stay.

"Horrible customer service"
Booked online. Went to check in and they said that their rooms were not ready or clean yet. I reserved a certain room type and they would not honor it. Very rude staff. Will never stay there again and I will not recommend anyone booking a room there.
Nicole B, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Good morning- I do apologize for the dissatisfaction upon your arrival. The hotel was full the evening prior to your arrival therefore, rooms were not available for check-in prior to 2:00pm. Also, all room type requests are just requests, and cannot not be guaranteed which is also stated on the confirmation e-mail each guest is sent. The hotel does do everything possible to meet as many requests as we can. Unfortunately, when we are full as we were during your stay it sometimes is not possible. Best Regards-
"Great location great customer service!"
Room clean and good sized. The folks at check in were very friendly. The do not offer a free breakfast, but do provide a $5 voucher to use in the attached restaurant. The breakfast was a great price and the food was generous and hot.

"If you have car problems or possibly delayed dont stay at this joint"
Diamond Members are not Recognized at this location. Car Problems and only gave a (6) hour call to let them know I would not arrive until next day .Had (2) rooms booked for (4) days and she still charged us for the rooms. Hotel was not full. Future event in August For (8) days (3) rooms and I will not stay at any of his hotels in Gillette
Nicole B, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Good morning- We do have a cancelation of 6:00pm the day before arrival. We will be considering your concern about this policy. I was the one that received your call to cancel at 3:45pm on the day of arrival not the day prior. At the time I was not made aware of your car issues. Thank you-
"Excellent stay"
My company requests to stay here whenever we are working in the area, I can see why....the beds first off are so comfortable you don't wanna get out of them. The service and friendliness of staff is above and beyond. The bar in hotel is very nice and fun.

"Ok for visiting mount Rushmoor. "
We are travelling coast to coast and wanted to visit mount Rushmoor. We chose Gillette because we could stay there and drive to and from Mount Rushmoor in a day. The hotel was fine and we had a good suite with plenty of space. The reception staff were not helpful regarding a breakage caused by a cleaner. It took a long time to try and resolve and we finally left giving up. The bar and restaurant in the hotel are not particularly pleasant and smoking is allowed which came as a shock. Food not great probably mostly cooked from frozen but pretty much what we anticipated.
Nicole B, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Good morning- I had sent you a letter stating the accident that occurred with the broken bottle of nail polish and that I would discount room by $10.00 for the mishap. It is absolutely my fault that the discount was not entered correctly, and I sincerely apologize for that. The desk staff did call the morning of your check out and she did get it entered for you. The final charge that was actually processed was $160.49, not the $171.19 in which the copy of your receipt stated. Your bank statement will reflect the $160.49, however. Again, I do apologize for the inconvenience and sure hope you enjoy the rest of your trip across country. Best Regards!
"Glad to Arrive - Winter storm !"
An unplanned stop in Gillette due to icy roads and heavy wind and snow fall took us to this Best Western. The outside looks dated but the inside is beautifully redecorated, fresh and modern. The hotel has a restaurant so breakfast is not included, we did however get free drink coupon and a voucher for a choice of 4 breakfast items for $5 each.

"Great Stay-Resturant-Lounge"
The breakfast is great and cheap. The restaurant is also good. The lounge is a great place to visit after a tough day of work. The steaks are great with a wide selection of menu choices. The beer selection is also great with some local brews available. The girls at the lounge are friendly and sweet!

"Terrible customer service"
I stayed at this hotel weekly and their sister hotel the Comfort Inn. Its your typical place people are nice. However whenever I had interviews or business meetings and wanted to use the facilities and had to talk with Management - they had terrible customer service. They were not accommodating. They double billed me and wouldn't correct it.
Nicole B, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
I am sorry you did not like the outcome of our decision to follow policy & procedures. You had booked a meeting room function with me for 2 days and a hotel room. You notified the day before your meetings that you needed to cancel the first day, I canceled this & did not charge you for the meeting even though our cancellation policy for a meeting function is 72 hours in advanced. Your cancelation was through e-mail, I responded to your e-mail & I responded via e-mail and asked if I also needed to change the reservation for your hotel room. You told me to keep the hotel reservation as it was. I even pulled up the e-mail conversation and read it to you, when you wanted to know why you had been charged for the 1st night when you hadn't shown up. We do have a 24 hour cancellation policy, and held that room for you all night. So, yes you had to pay for that night as well, but you were not double billed. At no time was I ever rude to but at the same time have to enforce the policies and I had already made one exception for you. It's too bad the entire story will not be seen, and only your limited false version.
"No regrets with the room, but what about?................."
We do events in Gillette, couple times a year, we always look foward to the stay at Best Western Tower West Lodge. Its WARM, convenient, COMFORTABLE, plenty of pillows, 80+ channels on TV, Decent size mini fridge, microwave, samsung flat screen TV, digital thermostat with GREAT results for heat or cold. In room coffee maker. Looking for a place to have a Christmas party? Reception? Etc? Good choice! As others have complained, there is no free beakfast, at the price you pay? Thats my only complaint. Burger king is right across the street though. Great FREE wifi.

"Overpriced, no breakfast"
I had just paid for the room and upon receiving the keys to our room, the gentleman at the front desk explained how breakfast wasn't included in the $150 room. After relaying this info to my wife, who was waiting in the car with our 7-month old, we decided we'd prefer to go to a hotel that had a continental breakfast included with the rate of the room. However, the night auditor explained to me how refunds can only be processed through the general manger - and he has never seen the GM approve a refund. Seriously? If you return the key after five minutes you're not going to get a reimbursement? No service provided is not grounds for keeping someone's money. I begrudgingly spent the night at hotel, which as previously stated was WAY overpriced, the room was mediocre at best. Not impressed. We were on the road for 16 days and this was the only place that didn't have breakfast included. If you don't want to include breakfast, that's fine. But if someone asks for a refund and returns the room key, you should have a policy set in place to respect that person's wishes. No more Best Western's for me.
Nicole B, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
I do apologize you were not staisfied with your stay. We do not offer a complimentary breakfast because we are a full service hotel, but we do offer lower rates than our competitors in the area with a complimentary breakfast. Same as all hotels we have a cancellation policy to abide by, once that cancellation time has passed the room is not refundable. There was no room issues addressed at the time of your stay therefore a refund cannot be issue since it was well past cancellation time. Again, I apologize for the inconvience and do hope you will reconsider staying with Best Western in the future. Nicole B.
"Worst Best Western I have ever stayed in"
The sheets on one of the beds had obviously not been changed and actually had urine stains. The pillow cases had dark stains (likely makeup) and were dingy too. Usually, we like Best Western hotels and prefer to stay at them to build points/future stays. We would never stay at this one again.
Nicole B, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
I apologize you did not enjoy your stay with us, we do strive to make every guest comfotable while with us. Unfortunaely, your issues were not brought to our attention until you came to check out and ask for a free room. At this time when we are not able to verify the issue or offer to correct prior we cannot issue a refund.
"Clean & helpful"
Rooms and hallways very clean. Staff friendly & helpful, but could use more desk help. Get a map of the property---never did find the pool and had a hard time finding our room after dinner in the restaurant.

"A little pricey but a good place to stay"
We looked at the other reviews for this hotel and were surprised by the difference in experiences that we had, we did not have a reservation but got a room which was up graded to a suite because of my Best Western card and the room was truly a suite, the motel was busy with workers staying there but very quite and had ample parking, the building is getting a little worn and could use some upgrades. The staff were very friendly and helpful. One problem that we had was that the tub and shower were a step up by 3 steps and the tub was a deep soaker size with only one hand rail across the tub on the wall making it very difficult to get in or out, my wife slipped getting in and banged her shoulder but okay, I did mention this to the staff at check out so we will see next time that we are in the area.
"Good basic hotel"
I was on a business trip and this hotel was chosen by the our group as the conference location. It was clean, had a comfortable bed and was relatively quiet. The person at the front desk got me checked in and out quickly.
"Dont stay here if you need a decent place to sleep!"
I booked this room for my husband. It was supposed to be a king and was not...The website quotes $118.99 and when asked about military discounts they said that he already was getting the best discount?? Hotel was very noisy until very late and after a call to the front desk nothing was done. Wont ever stay again!!
"Poor Quality and expensive"
Restaurant was not open and had to use the bar for food which was very smoky and food was marginal at best. The security system (door keys) for the exterior doors and many of the room doors was not working. Pillows were very uncomfortable. Hotel caters to the mining/drilling industry and the building reflects that.
Nicole B, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Thank you for your stay with us. I do apologize as we did numerous times about our key encoder not being able to make new keys, but we were upfront about this with each guest prior to check-in giving each guest the opportunity to not accept a room. There was no security issue with the looking system itself, just could not give some their own key until our new encoder arrived. Thankfully this was the 1st time in 17 years we had t run into this situation. All our pillows are very new, most find them wonderful and even had someone try to buy some from us last week. Unfortunately, that is a personal preference that we will never be able to accommodate every guests pillow preference. We do appreciate your feedback as we strive try our best to improve upon every guest experience. Kind regards: Nicole Brown
"aging hotel"
The staff was great. The hotel is aging and needs some upkeep. The smoke was a big down for me as i am a non smoker. I used the restaurant and i was pretty good. Wait staff were a little slow to seat and refills. Over all not a bad spot to stay .

"overpriced and no breakfast"
This place is way overpriced for what you get. No breakfast either, but instead a cheesy $5 off coupon for a local restaurant. At $150 a night you should get a lot more. I will stay somewhere else next time.
Nicole B, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Tower West Lodge, responded to this review
Thank you for your feedback. Each review is important as we strive to continually improve upon each guest's stay with us. We are a full service hotel, therefore do no not offer a complimentary breakfast. Our rates are very comparable to other properties in our area. Thank you for your time, have a nice day. Nicole Brown
