Best Western Plus Gallup Inn & Suites

From checkin to checkout it was a great experience. Very clean and nicely decorated rooms. Front desk staff very friendly and helpful. One of the few places I've stayed recently where they actually ask how was my stay. Plentiful parking. Walk across the street for dinner at El Rancho.

This was a pleasant surprise for us. We were welcomed with pleasant staff. We arrived the night before Easter and there was a little nest with some eggs and a facecloth bunny on our bed. The room was very clean and spacious with great amenities. The towels were bright white and fluffy. Bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was very good. Again they had the table decorated for Easter. Several hot items, ham, sausage, hard boiled eggs, scrambled eggs; fresh fruit, yogurt and more. Easy on and off the highway

If I could, I would leave this hotel a 10 star. Employees were friendly and helpful. Breakfast - had a full hot breakfast. Rooms very clean. I did not use the pool or the exercise room but they looked great. Best place to stay. Highly recommend.

Large clean and comfortable room, in a quiet location. Breakfast buffet was a step above most in quality and variety. as well as the staff, desk clerk, housekeeping and breakfast buffet providers. All were Extremely polite and courteous ! Highly recommend ! Parking was a bit limited due to numbers of small trucks and trailers.

Made is so easy with the prepaid check in, no wait time and my keys and papers were waiting for me. Great breakfast staff and feast services as well.pool was clean along with room and other amenities. Would definitely stay again. Thank you for a great stay

Great hotel and location. Staff are customer focused and asked if we needed anything or how they could assist. The room was exceptionally clean, bed was a dream after driving for 10 hours. While the hotel was full, it was extremely quiet. Breakfast was one of the best we've had at a Best Western. The staff paid attention and replenished the hot dish trays frequently. They also kept the tables cleared and the breakfast area clean.

Visit grandmas house to eat. I missed it, was closed but It brought back so many fond memories on location!!! The church across the street is surely worth a visit. Del Taco was a good alternative for late night food or in a hurry. The journey down the mountains to the way was a bit of a set back but a wonderful couple gave me a ride to RT66 Casino where I was able to get my transportation gathered so I could get Home!!!

This was my first visit to this location and found it very comfortable, and inviting. The staff were awesome, and very help, and the morning breakfast was well done. The room very very clean. I would stay here again if I am in the area. Parking was also well lit.

Terrell was again absolutely amazing! It's our 3rd time before & after going to Mayo Clinic in Phoenix. He remembered me again! Was so sincere and genuinely caring. After we came back from dinner he was assisting a guest. He called the room to see how the room was & if we needed anything!

Upon check in I was greeted by Arlene. I was in town to make preparations for my father's funeral and needed a great hotel to stay at. I was traveling with my Son. I was happy with the great service. The staff is super friendly, our room was very clean, the beds were so comfortable, the free breakfast was good and they have a variety of food and drinks that you can choose from. I stayed here before and will do so again in the future. The hotel is located right across El Rancho Hotel, they have a bar and restaurant. They also have a grocery store right across the street if you feel like you want to make your own food. There are no spaces available for Semi Trucks, just across the main road (highway 66) there is an empty lot there and you can walk across the street..

Front Desk Clerks at check in and check out were very proficient and answered all questions asked about surroundings. I really like that New Security Cameras were installed that covered inside of hotel as well as the parking lot. Lowes Grocery Store is less than a block away which provided groceries for cookind in room microwave. Nice restaurant at hotel across the street if you prefer not to cook in room. Breakfast was very good and plentiful.

This is the third time I've stayed here and it's because it's very comfortable clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. We needed a place to eat and it was suggested to go across the street to the El Rancho Hotel as the restaurant there has very good food, and it did not disappoint.

Our stay was for one night; a stopover on a road trip to Mesa. Hotel was good value…room was a good size, bed comfortable, breakfast very good. Internet was not very strong though. Location was good…close to the interstate.

Quick overnight stay with our dog. There were plenty of options for breakfast and the gal tending to the food was very pleasant! We do this route often and we would stay here again. The bed was very comfy!

I recently stayed in Gallup New Mexico for a high school reunion. I made the mistake of staying at the El Rancho hotel, but didn't have the opportunity to transfer to the Best Western hotel located right behind it for five nights. The Best Western hotel behind the El Rancho hotel is one of the best things that's ever happened in Gallup New Mexico. I say this from experiencing the Best Western hotel for five nights.

Great beds. Located right off Route 66. Really good breakfast. Above average for a Best Western in terms of beds, food, cleanliness. Not a lot of food options right next to the hotel but many options within a mile or two!

The hotel was very clean and accommodating. My husband and I were traveling from California heading to Maryland. It was time for an overnight break. We selected this hotel and was not disappointed. It was affordable, convenient, comfortable and clean. So much so I joined the Best Western rewards program and plan to stay with this chain for the rest of the trip.

Nice rooms great breakfast very clean is easy to access and get into. Would be nice to have EV chargers And the beds are not as comfy as the usual plus standard but could be updated were a little hard!

During our recent overnight stay at this hotel, we enjoyed the vibrant colors and decor throughout, the very comfortable beds after a long day, the cleanliness of the rooms and the property overall, and the warm, friendly staff at check-in and check-out and at breakfast. Well-done!

Most comfortable beds of any BW hotel. Friendly staff and clean facility. Breakfast was a bit underwhelming but sufficient. Good value. Treated as the Elite Members we are by thanking us and giving us waters.

I usually stay at the Gallup hotel a couple times a year. the entire staff is always helpful and professional. The entire facility is always clean. Room are nice and spacious whenever i am in Gallup, I always stay at this hotel

Very accommodating! Staff is very friendly and helpful! Room was great - big and beautiful! The breakfast was super excellent! The bed had us asleep as soon as our heads hit the bed! We will definitely return here!

The location of the hotel was great and the layout of it was simple and easy. However the price was not worth the quality we received during our stay. Staff were accommodating and helped when it was convenient for them.

Best stay in a very long time. Check in was easy, staff was excellent. We didn't check out until 10:00 which is something for us. We lingered in bed because it was so comfortable. Everything was clean and our room had everything we needed. The breakfast was AMAZING. We would definitely stay again.

The worst customer service I huave experienced!!! We stayed on July 23rd, 2023. We arrived at 2-pm midnight and our concierge checked us in with an attitude claiming she had just got in She tossed the room key st us. We were so tired we really didn't appreciate the attitude. We requested extra blanquear and she told us to come ríen & get them our selves. Then… we open out bed and there was someone else's hair on the bed!!!!!! It was sooo gross!!!. We called and the front desk and they told us they couldn't leave the front desk so they couldn't change our sheets. They did offer another room but We had already unpacked and showered - we opted for all 3 of us sleeping on one bed. The morning after we got worse customer service- the one one person who was attentive was the lady tending to the kitchen for breakfast. To our amazement we then noticed that the same made from the previous night was in the breakfast area just taking the tips from the jar for the kitchen lady!!! When we checked out we told them about the dirty sheets and the response was “oh really?” No apology, nothing. When we mentioned that we were happy there's at least trip advisor… she said… “yeah… we get great reviews on trip advisor” Seriously… the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. Too dirty and 0 customer care service!!!!

Where do I begin… Angry notes all over the place. Unfriendly staff. Closed pool and hot tub (without any excuse). Horrible breakfast (dirty, poorly stocked, broken pancake machine, broken juice machine, no yoghurt, etc). Old and cramped room. Loose toilet seat. No USB ports. Old TV with no sleep timer. Tub that didn't drain properly. Dirty towels. Catastrophic bedding. No guest laundry. And, of course, zero elite recognition as a Diamond Select member. I would not return and would strongly encourage others to stay elsewhere when in Gallup (which is otherwise a nice little town with scenic surroundings and lots to see).

Super clean, quiet, and the service was exceptionally friendly and accommodating! Close to highway 40 for travelers. There are not a lot of ammeter I tied nearby, but downtown Gallup is not too far. We will be back!

I stayed here with my family and it was average. I have stayed at Springhill Suites by Marriott in Gallup, and would prefer that over this. The amenities aren't great. I didn't bring my own showering amenities so I was confident this hotel would provide it. And they did have dispensers attached to the shower wall but it was pathetically slow at dispensing and did such pea size amounts, I was wasting water waiting to pump enough out for one wash. Also I felt safer at the Springhill Suites. There were two gentlemen walking up and down our hallway, loudly arguing and lingering. We left to get something to eat and they creepily watched us from the floor windows. I was worried of them breaking into our rooms. It was a little noisy because of the trains passing by at night but I secretly loved that because it reminds me of Gallup from my childhood. So I didn't mind that at all. If it bothers you, know that the trains pass into the night and you will hear it but it's not super loud. Just noticeable. Overall the room was clean, everything was stocked ok in the room, the beds are firm and not to my liking but that's probably just me. They have very square pillows instead of the standard longer pillows, and I prefer the typical down longer pillows. The free breakfast we had was ok. The ladies working there were extremely nice and I wanted to tip them for being so nice and accommodating. But some things were out of order or not working and that was a little disappointing. And the pool wasn't in use. It was closed for maintenance. Looks like it will be closed for awhile since there's a huge sign on the check in desk, taped and laminated.

We have stayed here before and this time it is still wonderful. One of the nicest Best Western's we have stayed at. Everything was in order and comfortable. We will always remember this place when travelling across the country.

We werent expecting much from Gallup, it was a stop over on the way to somewhere else, but we did need a good night's sleep. First though we checked in and tried to connect to the internet on my laptop. The password didnt work so I went to reception to ask They said it was right and I needed to phone the helpline. My phone wasnt working in the US. The receptionist shrugged. Not her problem. I managed to connect on my phone, seems that the system they use doesnt like Windows. They had given us a ground floor room just off reception, which was bad enough as we could hear people in and out all the time, but then the herd of elephants they had let the room above to started. It might actually have been four or five children, but elephants or toddlers, they were clearly unsupervised, running around, jumping off the bed, crashing into the celing until gone midnight. I did mention it to reception and ask if we coudl change room.. "That's up to her" said one receptionist nodding at the one who couldnt help with the internet. Great. Despite promising to "have a word" the noise continued. Teh walls were thin as paper too, we coudl hear every word spoken in the next room. We eventually got to sleep about half past midnight and had to be up for 6am, so no, we didnt get a good nights sleep. Plenty coudl be done to avoid it. Dont put herds of elephants in a room above anyone else for a start.

This Best Western on the east side of Gallup proved to be a pleasant and comfortable stay for one night midway along our jouney on I-40. The staff were friendly and got us checked in quickly. There was ample parking in the lot on the west side of the hotel. We found our room to be very nice; no issues. Sleep quality was excellent. Though we were on the north side looking toward the major rail lines through town, two blocks to the north, that was no problem at all. Breakfast the next morning was the usual hotel hot and cold selections and was quite adequate to get us started back on the road. Overall, our stay was comfortable and restful. One note about getting to the hotel: it sits one block off Route 66, just behind the very obvious El Rancho hotel. Regardless of what the car nav system says, the easiest way to get to the BW (coming from the west on 66) is to turn right on Navajo Drive (immediately before El Rancho) for one block and then turn left onto Aztec. (Our nav system had us exiting from 66 much too early onto Coal Street and wound us in the dark through the less-well-lighted narrow streets of old downtown until we came up against some street construction and had to detour back to 66.)

Great location, wonderful customer service. Brkfst is great. It does have one little minor things that could be easily fixed. I do always choose to stay at this location, the little issues never bothered me much of not ever returning.

Not many rooms available (a large group was coming in later in the day), so we splurged on a suite. Room was giant, with a nice bathroom. Our view was of the historic and quirky El Ranch hotel. Front desk and breakfast staff were professional and friendly. Wish we'd known the pool was out of service when we booked; it would have been nice to get a swim in. We did walk downtown to get some exercise: looks like Gallup has had some rough years, but they're working on the historic downtown.

Staff was very friendly and accomadating. Room was clean. Linens were clean. Breakfast had a decent selection and goes til 10am. Definately recommend. Would stay here again. They also have Tesla charging and parking for a larger truck

We were in a pinch as the hotel we had originally picked to stay in was a horrible experience, but the staff at Best Western Gallup stepped up to our rescue. Great people, at a great price! Would definitely star here again! Exceptional value!

I was expecting a hot tub and pool experience but it was out of order since July and when I mentioned to agent she said I could stay at another hotel in area. Also another Best Western at another end of town. She didn't know other property didn't have hot tub and also pool was outdoors not indoors like theirs

We got into town late and had not made prior reserations. Location was a block of Highway 66 and it was not in the hotel sector, which was nice. Check in was easy and we found the hotel to be very nice with a great full breakfast.

Easy check in, very clean rooms, comfortable beds, pet friendly with NO pet fees (which I am appreciative of!) and welcoming customer service. I need to make an extra review of the pillows- they ARE SO COMFORTABLE!! I slept so well after a full day of driving. We have not used this hotel chain before but we will definitely be adding it on our future travels!

This property is very clean, secure, and had friendly, helpful personnel. We were given an upgrade to a very large room, which was unexpected, but so nice. The breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts we've ever had with a big selection, and an attendant who was always refilling and cleaning. It was a very enjoyable stay.

I was really happy with everything, especially considering it is a little lower in price than the similar class hotels in the area. Everything looked nice, was very comfortable and I expected less to be honest. Check in was great. The breakfast was good-some hot dishes along with the offerings you expect to find. I really liked the property. Not a thing that wasn't perfect for us!

Passing through on our way home from Las Vegas. Budget friendly stay. Hotel was clean. Breakfast was pretty standard fare, with the addition of potatoes. Room lighting was not great. Bed was comfortable.

Stayed for one night on our route 66 trip, and had a good time. The Hotel was fairly typical Best Western Standard which equated to good value for money. The downpoint was that there was some heavyweight stomper in the room above us which made the ceiling shake as it walked to and fro, especially during the middle of the night. Please take away the lift, and these people will only ever want the first floor.

The BW Gallup West is right on Historic 66! Nestled between the Navajo Travel Plaza to the west and all the dazzling neon of Hwy66 to the east! Clean rooms friendly staff, pet friendly! Treats us like family every time we come to town!

The room was very clean, with windows that can be opened. The bed very comfortable, full warm and delicious breakfast. I definitely will choose Best Western again, a lot of parking spaces, very comfortable sleep night.

This hotel has a friendly and helpful staff. We requested, and received, a quiet room. Comfortable bed, good shower, clean. We stayed in a king suite with a complete kitchen, which was worth the very small incremental cost. Breakfast is the usual hotel fare included in the stay. The location is good in that it is just off of historic route 66 and close to some restaurants. Downtown is a short drive or a longish walk away.

We wanted to stay in the old part of Gallup and this location was perfect. We've stayed in Best Western Plus before so knew what to expect. This hotel did not disappoint. Very clean as expected, great personable service, and good breakfast included! We love how much light the rooms get, the clean feel and layout are also important to us.

Beautiful room. All temporary amenities for travel are available in a very quiet and pleasant environment, despite being on a very busy main city street that you never hear. Wonderful! The motif in the room is exquisite and homey. Stepping onto the covered balcony still protects you from any noise from the street.

Stayed here on a family road trip overnight stop with a baby and A 4 year old. King suite was perfect for us. Pull out couch bed for the 4 year old and quiet, separate room with a comfy bed to not disturb the sleeping baby. Fast wifi and direcTV. Full kitchen. Very reasonable price for such a large space. Only downside was the pool was closed for maintenance. We'll stay here again when headed back the other direction.

This is an excellent location in a neat New Mexico town. Highly recommend staying here. Easy access from the highway. Friendly staff. The room was clean and quiet. Breakfast options were abundant and fresh.

We are traveling to Las Vegas & stopped in here for the night. Turned out to be a great decision on our part. The room was wonderful with great staff starting with Michelle at check in who made sure we had everything we needed to the check out with Olivia who made check out easy. Lucinda who kept the food area clean & food kept full. Great breakfast with your usual food, however the sausage links, eggs(didn't lookor tastelikethepowder kind) & potatoes tasted fresh made. Room was very clean & big, ac worked great, we like a room cool for sleeping and this room lived up to it. I would highly recommend this property, clean in all areas.

We found this a clean, friendly hotel with a standard, tasty breakfast and an easy location to find. Our family was traveling to a family reunion and we had two rooms which were next to each other, and we appreciated that.

Couldn't complain about the room or cleanliness but there were two main issues for us. 1. Pool. We booked this hotel because it had a pool but when we got here there was a sign at reception saying closed for maintenance. That's unfortunate but understanding. However from looking at the reviews here and elsewhere it's been closed for maintenance for many many months. They should remove the pool from their website because it's false advertising. 2. Breakfast. We went down at 9.30am (breakfast closes at 10 am). There was practically nothing left and hardly anything more came. It was like management had told the kitchen to stop replenishment. I managed to get the last dregs of the potato (half a spoonful), someone from another family took the last slice of bread, the waffles maker was out of batter when we arrived but I noticed some people eating waffles so they must have been available before. I asked about replenishment of many things but was told there wasn't any. It's not like the hotel was busy either. I will be writing to Best Western because they need to seriously consider whether this hotel and it's management is up to their standard.

Hotel was very clean and made me and my daughter feel safe. Breakfast was amazing with plenty of options, we enjoyed the waffles. Room was very clean and beds were comfortable and up to date. Lobby was inviting and staff was friendly.

Best Western Plus Gallup Inn & Suites Gallup Charge more for military 844777481 Only problem was they charge more for military personnel, which is wrong if they continue to do this our rating would be 0. This is the USA and this needs to be changed! I will not support a place of business that disgraces our military personnel ,

Great place but the breakfast was the same thing every day. The rooms were clean but the the sofa mattress was so dirty. When we asked for extra towels they gave it to us. And some other stuff that we ran out of

Hotel is clean, easy to access from the interstate, and has nice amenities. The pool was closed for maintenance, but we weren't going to use it anyway. The parking lot is convenient and well-lit and secure. The room was very spacious. Breakfast was ok, but nothing to write home about.

Usually I don't leave reviews. But this was day 6 on a family road trip. This was our first real night at a hotel early to relax and get laundry done. Pool was emptied and all the washers were out of order. Spent our night at a local laundromat

This is your typical Best Western. The room is clean and comfortable. The staff is nice and helpful. The breakfast had the usual offerings. You won't go wrong with this Best Western. There are plenty of outlets for all your electronics and the Wifi was fine. Our room faced north and we did not hear the traffic or train. I would recommend this Best Western.

Staff made my check in quick. Front desk staff was very pleasant, helpful and made me feel welcomed.. Overall, Hotel was clean and comfortable. Did notice the pool was under renovation at the time. I did try their free Free Breakfast recognized they had a nice variety.

We stayed at this hotel as part of a package trip and it was great. Well equipped and very clean room providing everything we needed. Staff extremely friendly and obliging. Self serve breakfast was more than adequate with fresh fruit and decaf coffee which is all I need!

Our room was in disrepair including broken lamp shades and strange stain splatters on walls. If you are staying for 2+ nights, good luck getting fresh towels! We asked for towels each evening. Front desk first gave us a hard time for asking and then told us we had to ask in advance, which we did. Still no towels the next day. Talked to the local owner directly about this issue and the fact we never got the room cleaned after several nights of stay... he couldn't have cared less. Yuck and Yuck all around. THE POOL IS CLOSED AND DRAINED! No employees could give a consistent answer as to why it was closed, just that "Its closed for service." It isn't too complicated, I know, but it's clear that the owner would rather maximize profits and just keep the pool empty as long as possible. Fact of the matter is we stay here semi-often and the pool has been closed last several times.

We always enjoy staying at best western plus hotels. The breakfast was good. I enjoyed that they had a good variety of teas with honey. The room was cozy. We had a good night's rest. The only thing I didn't like was that the parking was so far away from the door.

We stayed here as a base to take day trips to the Painted Desert and Chaco Canyon. It worked well for us. It was conveniently located. The front-desk staff were friendly. Our room was clean and quiet, with a very comfy bed. Breakfast was good, with a nice variety of foods available. The person tending to it kept things fresh and clean.

The most comfortable beds. Great breakfast, friendly staff. It was nice to see that they hired local Navajo residents. Enjoyed everything about this place. Gallup has lots of places to eat and visit. We will surely return.

During our stay at the Best Western in Gallup, we stayed in a room above the front desk and heard the door opening and closing all night. Was also disappointed that we did not have hot water when we went to shower. I was the last to shower and as only staying a night and therefore did not report the issue. Water pressure was very low and very different than other Best Westerns/ hotels that I have stayed at.

This hotel was wonderful & we would stay here again if in Gallup! The room & bathroom were very clean. I rated Sleep Quality as a 3 due to a very soft mattress. Otherwise, the breakfast was wonderful with an array of choices we haven't seen with other hotels, the staff at check-in were very pleasant & welcoming and the room was mostly quiet. Facing the direction of the highway also meant facing the direction of RR tracks so we occasionally heard the train's horn blow, but it didn't wake us. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel & would stay here again!

Quick summary: fresh, clean, comfortable room. Many of the value-added extras you expect at a BW property. Friendly, professional service. Property seems freshly redone. Quiet rooms. We were on a road trip and only stayed one night in Gallup. Room 402 has two comfy queen beds, and many of the amenities you expect at a BW property: microwave, fridge, coffee maker, roomy desk/chair, very comfy lounge chair and hassock, large screen TV (lots of channels, but no printed guide - you have to scroll,) large work desk and ergo chair. Iron/board. 3-drawer chest and closet. Complimentary wifi works well. HVAC work well. Smallish bathroom has a tub/shower. I LOVE a tub at the end of a long day, but the wall-mounted toiletries were placed too high for someone sitting in a bathtub (standing up and down in a wet tub - a litigator's dream.) It also needs a grab bar for someone sitting in the tub. Excellent housekeeping. Very good complimentary breakfast of hot and cold items, breads, cereals, fruit, juice, etc. Thank you for real half-and-half for coffee. Friendly, professional service throughout. Nice-looking indoor pool, but it was being serviced when we were there. Close to other restaurants on Rte. 66. To sum: we'd be happy to stay here again.

We were greeted by Shane in a very friendly and efficient way. He updated us to a suite because we are premium Best Western members. The suite was very nice and very clean! The towels were large and fluffy. The free breakfast food was good and plentiful. It was in a good location, reasonably priced and had comfortable beds . I would definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to staying here agin. I spoke to the manager Michelle Lonjose and commented on how much I enjoyed staying here.

My husband and I spent one night at the Best Western Plus in Gallup. We slept on the worst hotel mattress that I have ever experienced. It literally had a crater in the middle that was about 4 inches deep and 12” in diameter. Front desk did not seem surprised by my experience and just shrugged when I told them about it. II imagine they have had the same complaint many times before mine.

Amazing staff (thanks so much in particular to Arlene for her extraordinary service). Everybody is efficient and polite . The room was super comfortable. Spacious, with a super comfy King size bed, a lot of space for clothes and luggage, appliances (mini fridge, coffee maker, microwave), big screen TV and an area for working and resting. It has also a safety box. The lobby and breakfast area are absolutely gorgeous with a lot of space and beautiful furniture. Breakfast is super good with hot and cold food. Coffee available all the day long. Location excellent. Walking distance from Historic Gallup shops. Places to eat about 3-5 minutes by car, except the famous El Rancho Hotel that is just across the street.

I left for work and came back to my door being opened. I had a do not disturb sign in place. The story I got was maintenance went in to fix something (which I did not request), and that staff "can go in anytime" per their check-in policy. I explained to the manager that I get a floor or a fire, but not even trying to contact me and just going into the room is unacceptable. She stood be her we can "go in anytime" answer. Absolutely unacceptable! AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Great hot breakfast: scrambled eggs, sausage patties and links; hash brown potatoes, biscuits and gravy, waffles, fruit, 3 juices, hot and cold cereal, fruit; clean rooms: comfortable bed, spacious bedroom, living area, and kitchen. Pleasant, helpful staff. As platinum members, we were upgraded to a suite with a full kitchen at no additional cosr.

Spent one night with a friend as part of a road trip. Had a double room and enjoyed the decor, comfortable beds and location near Route 66. Nice breakfast offerings in their modern lobby. Stayed here because of proximity to El Morro NM and Red Rocks SP (do the Church Rock hike!).

Have you noticed how customer service has declined since the start of the pandemic? Now it's at the worst of the worst. Probably due to staff shortages, hotel staff act as if you are really inconveniencing them and they don't care about your experience. If you ask when the parking lot might get plowed because you are afraid of slipping and falling, the proper response isn't "yea, well, that's why the hotel has liability insurance."

The room was clean, the staff very courteous at check in. Good (hot) breakfast. Gallup is a noisy little town - would recommend asking to stay on the south side of the building away from the RR tracks

I arrived tired and weary after a tough day, but was treated like a VIP. Outstanding arrival at the front desk. Polite, friendly staff with express check-out and other ammenties offered. Breakfast was good. Fruit, yogurt and juices were offered along with traditional breakfast fare. Would stay here again in an instant.

The good: Beds were amazing and so comfortable! Room was very nice and relaxing. Very clean too. The lighting in the room was very nice and bright. The bad: Our TV did not work the entire time we were in the room and when contacting the front desk we were told "Sorry, I don't know what to tell you". It seemed the staff just didn't care to investigate what the issue might be. I'm one that looks forward to the tv in a hotel room and some mindless relaxing after driving. Room also was not properly stocked with soap and body wash.

Employee was rude to me at check in... chuckling "so you're saving $2.00 (chuckle)" when I reserved the room on-line. Also, there was no shampoo in the dispenser and none downstairs (S Employee told me without actually checking). My wife was in the shower with no shampoo and no-one was willing to make it right.

We got a room that was right about the front sliding door and heard it all night long. It was loud. Half of lights didn't work. No shampoo or body wash in shower. We were told they have none. Breakfast was salty eggs and watered down potatoes.

This hotel was clean, comfortable, fairly priced, convenient to downtown amenities and to the interstate, but we will remember it most for the welcoming friendliness of all the employees we encountered.

I stayed here earlier this year on the way through Gallup, so I knew what to expect and it lived u to my expectations. Everyone there is very friendly and polite. The rooms are in very good condition and comfortable.

Room was generally clean, but heard noise from other rooms, didn't like sporty smell of cleaner used, one towel had a stain which prob didn't come out in wash, so it should have been tossed. 1 hair on sheet. Check in guy seemed to want me to accomodate his way of doing things over little things which he could have accomodated my way of doing things. Also he didn't wear a mask, though signs requested that guests wear masks. Check out lady wore mask and was nice. Older section of town which made me worried about stuff in my car, but everything was fine and no car break-in. Fence around parking lot, and saw cop by lot in the morning, so it was overall kept safe. Decor was updated in rooms and fresh paint, but linens and towels could be newer.

tried to schedule a reservation....had to ask several times who I was talking to , could not understand the accent....please don't have foreign speaking people do customer service..was this in India where the 800# sends us to? terrible. they asked what city I was calling for....I told them, and I said i really don't like the 800# reservation process...(many are doing)...and they hung up on me.

Just save yourself a headache and don't stay at this hotel. We had several issues that would warrant a refund, just as a token of . faith, and were not offered anything. If you are desperate even that you are willing to stay here after you have been warned, at least avoid the weekends. The manager takes weekends off and so does the service.

Hotel is within walking distance of a grocery store in case you forgot to pack any essentials. However, the hotel sells these items, as well. Great friendly staff and very clean rooms. Would definitely stay here again!

This hotel was convenient and quiet, despite being near a rail line. Comfortable bed. The price was right, however the color choices were strange. Bright red doors, walls and beveled mirrors that looked like they belong in a Chinese restaurant. Terrible COLD lighting. And roaches. Need to spray.

I must say, I am a nut for reading reviews, especially for motels/hotels, before selecting one. We travel fairly frequently, and use a few different brands. Thusly depend on reviews to make final selection. So I would like to repay those that gave the Gallup NM BWplus the nice review's, as we were elated. Shane at check-in was the nicest young man. Recognized us as gold members immediately. Mentioned promos currently running, upgraded our room, and offered complementary waters. The room was exquisite. Just beautiful. And breakfast selections more than adequate. Seating area was very large, and varied seating selections. Easy on/off hwy 40. I seriously cannot think of a single negative.

We really enjoyed our four night stay with only one real proviso...if you stay on the South facing side, you may have to contend with dogs barking at all hours from the neighborhood bordering the Hotel and since like the windows open...it was noise issue that couldn't be resolved since the Hotel had no control over the issue.

Unfortunately this hotel is not up to the standards of BestWestern overall. The staff checking was rude, unaccommodating and acted like I was bothering her. Room was nice but service was horrible. Also no coffee in room and was not advised in advance. Just a bad experience.

Convenient location off Rt 66. Best Westerns are not all the same - but this is a good one. Very clean. Kind of tricky to get to because of street construction. Location was quiet, large rooms with exceptional recessed lighting. Area adjacent to older establishments and residential. We arrived without reservation and front desk was very nice in handling our membership. There was no hand soap and never received any after asking - but just used the body soap in the shower. Dining was not close and many places were closed on Monday evening. We found a KFC that worked to eat in the room. Breakfast was hot - and average. Decent rates.

What a welcoming property. Good location, hospitable service, well maintained. Two different eras, compelling contrast. Across the street historic and happening El Rancho and BW with all the quality and comfort promised.

This hotel had a particularly soft and comfortable bed. Good, hot shower with lots of pressure, and fast wi-fi. Nice products in the bathroom, but difficult to dispense. Typical cheap wooden construction, so quite a bit of thumping and thudding from the neighbors and the hallway, but nothing that disturbed the peace.

If you like a clean a comfortable hotel with the best employees stay at Best western! The rooms are always clean the food is great and the customer service is unbelievable . So when you need a break or have business you can not go wrong staying at Best Western hotels.

Easy access from I-40. Something about the lobby area said, "Welcome home." Excellent lighting in the room. The property was well maintained inside and outside. Breakfast offerings included a full range of hot and cold items for dine-in. There were hand sanitizer stations in common areas. The only negative was a very soft mattress (we prefer to sleep on a mattress not in a mattress. We would definitely stay here again

The cleanliness of the hotel (lobby, dining area, room) was exemplary; the check-in and check-out process was quick and easy; and the friendliness and helpfulness of the hotel staff is to be commended.

I had never stayed in Gallup before, but I'd go back gladly, having stayed at the Best Western Plus. It was conveniently located and had all the amenities anyone could want. The service was excellent, and the hotel across the street, El Rancho, had a nice restaurant. Moreover, there was a Navajo weaver in the El Rancho lobby creating a beautiful Two Grey Hills rug before our very eyes. Best Western Plus is an excellent place to stay and has good neighbors.

Very clean, helpful staff, plenty of luggage carts, well lit fenced parking on the side, very comfortable bed, clean and nice room. Watch the hot water, it's very hot. Great water pressure. One of the nicer hotels we've stayed at. Far from freeway noise.

The hotel in Gallup was a great base location for the sightseeing that we had planned. The king room with kitchenette was bigger and better set up than some apartments we have rented. Overall, the Gallup Best Western was the perfect place for the sights we had planned to see. This will definitely be a future "home base" as we plan future excursions to the northern AZ/New Mexico area.

Travel to Gallup last few month on business. First trip stayed on the East some of town. Was recommended Best Western due to kitchenette. Following trip booked at Best Western and do not regret it. Great location. Very centralized in Gallup and Awesome staff. Recommend this place to anyone.

The staff was friendly and had knowledge of the area. The hotel was very clean. Beds are very comfortable. I slept like a baby once I hit the bed. The breakfast was hot & delicious. A great variety of choices.

This hotel exceeded our expectations! It was clean and modern, the room was beautifully decorated. The hotel was conveniently located for shopping and restaurants. The bed was comfortable, the room was quiet, the internet was fast. The staff was friendly and efficient. We will stay here again!

On way home from Oklahoma to California. Great customer service, the woman I spoke with was so nice and she was also on duty when we checked in. Room was spacious and beds were so comfortable. Great breakfast, secured parking lot.

My wife, my daughter and her husband, plus my granddaughter were traveling from Colorado to California to visit my mom. We have had many positive experiences with Best Western so we opted to look for Best Western again for this trip. I highly recommend Best Western Plus Gallup Inn & Suites!

Rooms were neat and very clean. Nothing spectacular but we did not pay for spectacular. Parking lot was well lit and area appeared safe and very clean. Would've like a few outside tables and chairs for a smoking area. Beds were very comfortable.

There is no Plus at this Best Western in Gallup, NM. Room not too clean, sand on bathroom floor. Ice machine broken. So called Grab N Go breakfast, ostensibly due to Covid, consisted of one bottle of water and one oatmeal bar. No greeting with treat for rewards member. When these lacks were brought to the managers attention, she said it was the governors mandate. I would avoid this place as you would have avoided a Covid positive patient back in the pandemic days!

Overall, our stay was fantastic and we will definitely be back. We loved that you couldn't hear your neighbors or the trains that passed through. The room was clean, beds were so comfortable! The only thing that was lacking was the water pressure from the shower head. When you turn on the bath, the water runs strong, but hit the shower button and it is lacking! Also, our fan in the bathroom didn't work so humidity couldn't properly get pushed out. So after a few days our bathroom smelled "wet." I know that COVID has closed many amenities but please do a better attempt at breakfast bags for the guest. We got a bottle of water and a granola bar. My mom stayed at a less expensive hotel and they had an amazing selection for their breakfast bag. Lol. We were disappointed BUT it just meant we got to order out. We had Blake's Lotaburger, we ordered their Bacon Breakfast Burritos with green chili! It is a must try!! So delicious. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be coming back, again. The location was perfect, right off the I-40 and perfectly situated in the middle. Close enough to get to Walmart and food, but far enough to avoid the traffic in that area.

Clean quiet and friendly. Grab and go breakfast a bottle of room temperature water and 2 granola bars. Thumping noise during wind. I reported this to the desk and was told the mannager would call. Manage never did call.

This was an exceptional hotel. The staff were all great. The room was fantastic. They we still acknowledging Covid rules so it was mask everywhere. Only thing is a guest before us had melted something on the iron. So my pants had gotten it on them. My fault though for not looking.

Hotel nice inside, the area not to good, but I would stay there again, if in the area. Nice employees, very polite and helpful. Close places to get food and close to freeway. Room was clean and clean.

Beds were very comfortable; convenient downtown location. Breakfast was just energy bars & bottled water due to COVID. Front desk staff member, Arlene, was very helpful. Most restaurants in downtown Gallup are closing at 7PM.

The beds were comfortable and the rooms were quiet which both are good for a great nights rest. Employees and cleaning staff both helpful and courteous. Highly recommend you eat at Jerry's Cafe during your stay.

The facilities were great. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Breakfast was not up to par. No fruit, just two nature valley peanut bars and a water in the grab and go. Had juices in the machine. No hot options.

We originally were going to stay at the El Rancho hotel, but after seeing some reviews we thought the Best Western would be a better fit for us. Here's what we found: Pros: - Big Room - Full Kitchen - Clean - Beds Comfy - Inexpensive Cons: - Pool & Fitness Centre closed - Breakfast was bag with water bottle and granola bar (more of a snack and NOT breakfast, at least offer restaurants nearby?) - Pillows small & lumpy - Thin walls (we heard people yelling and a baby wailing in other rooms nearby) - Ice machine not working on 2nd floor, we had to go to the 3rd and 4th floors for ice Overall, we thought that the Best Western was no more than average.

We made a last-minute reservation and lucky us, we got a 1-Bedroom King Suite with a Kitchen: windows that open for a breeze, full kitchen (full refrigerator, oven and where did you last see an electric can-opener in a hotel), giant bedroom with a door separating it from the rest of the really, really large suite. The fitness room (no free weights but lots of machines) and pool were closed, but there was coffee and a daily newspaper in the lobby and the Grab ‘n Go breakfast was just a water and protein bar. Darnell was fabulous checking us in and so was Shane on the phone the night before as we got the lay of the land before booking. Sorry, Marriott and Hilton – this will be our stop in Gallup from now on. Good show, GM Michelle.

This is a great hotel with super attentive staff, nice room with great bed, and good just-off-the-highway location. They were enforcing strict Covid safety measures so we felt safe the whole time. We'll be back!,

Loved the place, and was quiet, had a family emergency . Was able to be near family while we laid my grandma to rest. No problems and excellent staff, place was beautiful abs location was great. Near downtown, stores and restaurants

Hotel staff was great. Hotel and guest room was very clean. Only thing I would change would be the breakfast only thing offered was a bottle of water and granola bars so if you are planning to have breakfast at hotel plan something else. I will continue to use Best Western when I visit Gallup. FYI pool and fitness center is closed due to COVID-19

You can hear everything next door eg. tv/ talking and right at bedtime. The staff could have spaced the guests out more for privacy reasons but neglected to do so. I was told there was plenty of availability so that wasn't an issue. If you are in need of a good night sleep don't chance it here. Also, if you want certain benefits as a reward member such as a complimentary bottle of water upon check in, don't expect it here. The staff charges for water here.

This hotel was clean, rooms were clean staff was helpful, beds could be updated. Choice of TV channels were good Parking lot well lit. Internet was OK. We would stay again if in the area We drove right up

Day two of an unscheduled trip. Pulled in late and was happily greeted and accommodated. Quiet and clean room. Fenced parking and easy freeway access. Had a scheduled wake up call. Easy checkout, snack and away.

You changed almost everything for Covid but didn't fix the descriptions. You do not serve breakfast. You do not have a fitness center. You do not have a pool or hot tub. But the descriptions says you have all of that.

The staff, The cleanliness of rooms. Internet speeds and more. What a great little get away location. Will be stopping back on my way back west for sure. Would recommend to anyone passing through or looking for a quaint little area to get away for a few days A+++++

Very friendly and professional staff. The location is next to another hotel. But there are some cheap motels in the vicinity that attracted some not so great in appearance people. Regardless, they have cameras all over the place, plenty of parking, and again, the best bang for your buck. As normally expected, clean and comfortable.

We were passing through New Mexico and chose this hotel in Gallup for 1 night. It exceeded our expectations and met all of our safety concerns. Fair price and just off the highway makes it a slam dunk!

I've stayed here multiple times and always have a nice stay. This is a well-run, very clean, nice hotel. Staff are universally very nice. The beds are very comfortable. They have great COVID precautions. Highly recommend.

After a long drive with our 3 kids we were disappointed to be told we couldn't have a baby crib. We were told there was one available but because there was only one person working they could not leave the desk. While we understand she could not leave it, it left us without a bed for our three month old. We booked through a third party website and didn't have an option to leave a note or reserve a crib. We tried calling on the way but there was no service for most of the drive. Then when we did get through to the hotel, it kept going to an pre-recorded message and said there was an error. So we did try in advance to get a crib. The lady at the desk did not come across compassion to our situation and came off more scolding than helpful. It's unfortunate that policy limited her from giving us a crib to take up ourselves. Then she added information, telling my husband that she didn't think they cleaned the cribs so we wouldn't want one anyway! In our room, it was spacious and fairy clean however a hand towel had mascara residue one one side and light brown spots in the other. The pull out couch bed was the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept on. I could feel every single spring digging into my ribs and hips. Fun times. We paid for a restful night after a long drive but no crib and a bad pull out mattress made things harder and less restful. The queen beds were very soft. So that was nice for our other family members.

This location made for a good stop while traveling I-40 all day. The place is very clean and quiet but somewhat dated. Most of the amenities aren't available at this time due to Covid-19. The usual breakfast has been reduced to a grab and go bag. Our room was typical but made for a relaxing nights stay. The staff were very polite, professional and helpful. We found the rates to be very good. It's always a challenge to find good lodging while traveling but this location fit the bill for us. Checked in on a Friday night. We were to only people in lobby and you could tell that it was going to be a good stay. Had a best western gift card that I had from a earlier trip to texas. Young man at desk did not know how to ring it so he asked me to come back later when manager could run it. Went to room and halls and room was very clean and fresh. Carpets were newer looking and so was room furniture. Went back to check in after dinner and young man had my bill with the credit from my card ready. Thanks for being on top of that. Bed was nice with nice size pillows. Woke up and went for sack breakfast that was okay but what can you expect with this stupid shut down. Will stay again if passing through at the right time.

Nice facility. Staff are helpful and professional. Room well lit and decorated nicely. Comfortable bed. Quiet A/C unit. Only drawbacks: 1) need portable hand sanitizers near elevators 2) at check in we were told breakfast would be a modest sack affair. Sure was - a small orange, a bottle of water and a granola bar. Surely, they could offer better pre-packaged items. All BW facility websites should make it clear what they are offering, or not offering, during this difficult time.

This was a good stop after traveling for 12 hours. The hotel is right off I-40. Taco Bell is the closest fast food with more not far away at the next exit. The hotel was quiet and the bed was really comfortable.

Conveniently located near I 40 and next-door to historic Route 66 landmark hotel and restaurant El Rancho. Staff was friendly and accommodating and the room was clean and comfortable. Free parking on site. The only disappointing part was no dine-in restaurants available due to Covid and just a grab and go breakfast. However the grab and go contained fruit, breakfast bar and a muffin.

This BW was truly a PLUS! The staff were extremely helpful with a special situation we had; everyone wore masks and required masks be worn by guests. The hotel was very clean and well cared for. We had a great stay and would gladly stay again

Front desk service was great. Just wish I could have used fitness room after a long day and evening of driving. But understandable. No mask, no service sign made me feel safer. Don't expect a breakfast, just a apple and teeny tiny granola bar. yuck. They ran out of bottle water with the breakfast. Other than that it was fine.

Nice hotel. Breakfast was lacking. Even with the current situation (Covid19) they could do a much better job with breakfast. The next night, we stayed at another Best Western in Puebla, Colorado and the breakfast was outstanding.

We stopped here for an overnight stay based upon the Tripadvisor reviews. We were not disappointed. The room was excellent - it was spotless and spacious. The staff was professional and friendly. The rates were reasonable. Overall a great overnight stay.

I was at the hotel for only one night, but I was impressed both with how friendly and helpful the staff was, and how lovely the room was. I think that the hotel may recently have had a renovation, and it shows. The room was sparkling clean. I did not take the breakfast, but had some tea - nice varieties. Check in and out was quick and simple. I would stay here again.

We had an excellent stay for 1 night. The room was spotlessly clean and very nicely decorated. Features included excellent mattresses and bedding, great lighting, bedside outlets, safe, full-length mirror, small fridge, microwave, and coffee-maker, easy check-in, luggage carts, fast elevator, interior corridors, fast access to the Interstate, but very quiet due to insulated windows and privacy curtain. Right behind the famous Route 66 hotel, El Rancho. Indoor pool and hot tub were great after hiking. Breakfast was good, including scrambled eggs, sausages, home fries, tortillas, waffles, oatmeal, cereals, fresh fruit, yogurt, breads, cinnamon sticky buns, juices, etc. Andy and Eileen were particularly helpful, and we appreciated the upgrade to a junior suite. Highly recommended!

Very nice hotel in the middle of town. Rooms are clean and well designed. They have a row of can lights right over the beds, just about the best reading light I have seen in a hotel. Mattresses are soft foam, we had a wonderful nights sleep. Window open so you can get fresh air, nice, and rare in New hotels these days. You can hear the trains, but it's quiet if you close the window. Good breakfast,cute dining area. Front desk was friendly and efficient. Two things kept me from rating this property a 5: 1) Couldn't use pool and hot tub because it was overly full of kids swimming in street clothes. When they left, dirty clothes were all over, saftey life rings were taken off wall and left floating in pool. Socks were in the bottom of the hot tub. 2) Back security door had been propped open with rocks. We moved the rocks and closed the door, but it felt a bit unsafe.

We've stayed at this hotel 2-3 times on our way to NM. It is a very well kept hotel in a good location. Within walking distance to stores, food. The breakfast has a good variety of options. Pleasant staff.

The friendliness and helpfulness of the entire staff was beyond exceptional! The front desk, the breakfast attendant as well as the housekeeping staff are top notch and made our stay most enjoyable. We have never experienced as hotel stay as wonderful as we did at BW Gallup! This location should be the standard that all other locations should try to emulate! Don't change a thing!

Just passing through so expectations were low. Turned out to be a very clean, very new, breakfast was better than other BWP motels. The parking lot is well lit and the area of town is good. Good food near by. Felt safe.

Everything at this hotel was very good. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was good. The night clerk was very friendly and talkative. Told us that she was fixing breakfast for us in the morning.

Super nice hotel, clean, great warm breakfast buffet, very friendly staff. Beds are nice and comfy, central location. I've stayed here three times in the past 6 months still nice and clean. The breakfast buffet changed daily and they had hatch green chili's for your eggs....

New, Immaculate. Sanitized remote control for TV. Friendly staff. Beautiful large rooms with plenty of DirecTV channels. Walk across the street to El Rancho for dinner and drinks. Many selections at the free breakfast.

I loved my stay! Though we were only here for 1 night, we thoroughly enjoyed it! I'm unsure of the age of this property, but it appears to be a new facility & if it's not... well, you could have fooled me! Beautiful decor, very clean & wonderful staff. I was pleasantly surprised at the size of our room. IT WAS HUGE! I wish we had come during warmer months because we noticed a small outdoor seating area off the breakfast area that had a BBQ grilling area as well! What a great idea! The desk staff who checked us in & out were great! Thank you to Shane & Alyssa! If I had one bad thing to say about the stay, it would be regarding the bathroom mirror. Though it is huge and probably perfect for those with better vision,I did have a hard time using it to apply my make up in the morning, as the vanity area is quite large and it was hard for me to really see from the distance, without my glasses. Definitely not a deal breaker though! This will most assuredly be my go to spot any time I'm through NM. Thank you all SO much!

Overall experience was great. Internet was slower than normal. Breakfast had a great variety. Service and experience was great. All staff was friendly and willing to help with anything. I will definitely be staying here again.

Went on a road trip and needed a place to rest after a long drive and this place was perfect. Check in was quick and easy. Express checkout was also very simple. The room was spotless, bathroom was clean, beds super cozy, and comfy pillows. Breakfast was simple and perfect, cant wait to stay here again

Unlike many Best Westerns, this hotel does not allow pets. But we were unaware of this when we made our reservation. I called the night before to confirm our reservation, informed them that we had a small dog with us. The person who answered the phone made no mention of a no pet policy. We showed up, unloaded all our stuff, then was told there was a no pet policy. We were forced to find other accomodations in town at the last minute. General manager Michelle Lonjose was unhelpful.

We were welcomed late by a pleasant woman at the desk. It took a while to checkin because she didn't know how to include our coupon, but eventually got it to work. (One of the main hotel doors was frozen open on this nasty cold night). Our room was comfortable. This is a good location one block south of US66 just past The El Rancho Hotel. (You can use exit 22 off I40.) Quiet compared to hotels directly off the interstate which are much more near the railroad tracks. (We know from experience.)

Got snowed in. Tried to cancel. Ask to speak to a manage. Was told none was around. Wont stay here again. Things happen on the road. Weather, wrecks. They should bend a little when this happens. I did not even get a notifation I got the points for this stay. Complete rip off

I found this BW inviting, clean, and comfortable. The rooms were very comfortable and the beds were great. Another thing I really liked was the quietness of the heat registers. No pinging! The breakfast area is very inviting with the high backed face to face seating. I have never seen that before. A nice touch. You will enjoy your stay here.

The hotel has been updated and is very nice. The new dispensers in the shower are terrible. They only dispense a drop of product at a time. The hotel staff was very nice with the exception of Andy. He was not customer friendly at all. I had trouble with him on the phone as well as at the front desk.

The hotel was beautiful and new. It is located right behind the El Rancho Hotel and very convenient to food, shopping and the expressway. Breakfast was very good, with choices of both hot and cold items. Plenty for everyone. The rooms were comfortable, as well as the beds. Have a future trip planned, but made reservations earlier at a different hotel. We will be changing those reservations to this hotel; it is so nice.

I wouldn't necessarily have said it was a plus hotel, the room was clean and comfortable. The staff were not especially welcoming but the service was fine. The hotel was directly opposite the El Rancho and so we booked it to stay at a modern reasonably priced hotel but still go and visit and iconic hotel. Car parking was on site but a bit of a walk and we didn't feel it was terribly secure

Very nice rooms. The upgrade I received was amazing. Very friendly and knowledgable staff. Location was good. Very quiet area to be in. Parking was fantastic, lots of it. The breakfast was by far the hottest I have ever had at a Best Western plus the selection was amazing.

I wasn't expecting a hotel in Gallup to be very nice, but this property is truly outstanding. The building itself is in good condition. You could smell that it was cleaned conscientiously. The room was large and well-decorated. We had an excellent stay. We were sad to spend only one night there.

I have been staying in this hotel over the past 5 years!! I stay there on my way to see my family that lives in Kansas. Won't stay anywhere else!! Love the rooms staff and close to everything you need!@

Spacious, clean rooms. Easy check-in. Good location within walking distance from downtown. Standard breakfast offerings. A more modern member of the chain. While we only stayed one night, we were pleased with the experience.

We loved this hotel. Newer place, very modern, staff was amazing. Check-in staff greeted us immediately with a thank you for being loyal rewards members and offered us an upgrade. We asked about local restaurants and Badlands Grill and Diner was suggested for dinner which we went to. We loved it. Staff was great and food was amazing. Nice rustic restaurant about 10 minutes from hotel. Amenities at the hotel were great ... breakfast lovely, internet good and they had a pool and fitness room. We would most definitely stay here again.

Passing through we only stayed one night. Were upgraded to a kitchenette suite. It was spacious, clean and just a delight. I would stay here again on a future visit. The breakfast area decor is unique but comfortable.

The place was pretty new, had a nice little swimming pool and hot tub (which wasn't working at the time) comfy beds, and a good verity to chose from at breakfast. was definitely worth the stay !!!! Kiddos enjoyed the pool and i loved the rooms Such a awesome place to stay will be staying here again!!!!

My husband was teaching for 2 weeks in the area & so after reviewing all of the hotels that would be accommodating we chose this hotel. The staff made the place fantastic! Although the pool & spa were down they were able to get us a room with both a kitchen (full size) & a bath! (Would suggest a queen size bed room instead of a king.) While my husband taught I was able to renew friendships & make new ones. I would recommend this hotel also if one wants multiple days as I was informed that one of the guests has stayed there for several months. Since they only had a few gluten free options I would recommend getting some gluten free food if on that diet as there are not a lot of options for breakfast.

We are on a 10 day driving trip round trip from Flagstaff to Sedona - Grand Canyon - Winslow - Santa Fe and stopped overnight in Gallup on the way back to Flagstaff. We are happy we chose this hotel which is located right across the street from the historic and interesting El Rancho hotel and restaurant. Our BW room #401 was very large and clean, two queens, frig, microwave, coffee maker, great wifi, and a very good comprehensive included breakfast. All of the staff were very friendly. We had dinner in the bar of the El Rancho hotel and enjoyed taking lots of photos of the lobby.

The Women were the better part of my stay there. To be matroniized by Their services and smile is indeed a blessing. The only thing better would be if a (Woman) owned the property........AND at the very least, if their food DID NOT contain high fructose corn syrup, monosodium glutamate and sodium nitrite. With the money that hotel makes, it can do better than harming it's customers. On that note, the food was worst part of my stay

This property is perfect for an overnight stay, which was our intent on a week-long visit to New Mexico. We found the hotel acceptable in every way, but noted the indoor pool was closed for cleaning, and according to other reviews, had been for some time.

My impression is that it's a fairly big place for the location. There may have been restaurants near there but we didn't see any so had to drive several miles to eat dinner. Our entire experience there was fine and we didn't really have any problems. We'd stay there again if in the area.

This BW is very new, The rooms are clean, roomy and close to restaurants. Jerry's Cafe is a must try diner, Breakfast is very good, and so is the coffee. The parking is well lit, and has cameras so we felt comfortable leaving items in our car.

Spacious room. Very comfortable beds. When we checked in, I was informed that the pool and spa were closed for maintenance - I actually booked this place for the indoor pool. I was not happy. The room above us sounded like someone was rolling a heavy cart around all night - I was so tired after driving 500 miles during the day, I did finally fall asleep. The next morning, I went downstairs early to get coffee for my hubby and myself, 3 ladies that work at the hotel were standing in the hallway near the elevator entrance arguing - "Don't be talking behind my back. If you have something to say to me, say it to my face." Reply - "I wasn't - I don't know what you are talking about." How about you take it in a room and close the door and not subject guest to your disagreements. I am pretty sure we won't be staying at this place the next trip through.............

We found this hotel to be very nice and quiet and very clean. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. There is an old historic hotel with a nice restaurant across the street. It also has a nice gift shop that you can visit after you eat dinner.

location was in the city itself, the room was above average but the staff, both check-in and check-out was exceptional as far as being friendly, efficient, and helpful in answering questions about the surrounding area

Great place and beds are so comfy.. was a last minute reservation and hostess made the effort to get us in on an almost booked hotel. The rooms were very spacious and provided ample space for my large family..

We took a road trip across the South West and this was the best hotel. The building is relatively new (4 years), well built, nicely styled, and quiet. Our rooms were extremely nice and well appointed, and the location is just about a mile from downtown Gallup. There's lots of tourist information available in the lobby and the staff are gracious and helpful.

We were really impressed with the cleanliness of the room as well as the appearance of the room and lobby. The room was quiet, we did not hear the neighbors or the train. The breakfast had a good variety of food with added bonus of green chili.

This is a great place to stay and very reasonably priced. Easy to find. It's right across the street from El Rancho that has good dinner menu. Breakfast was really good. We inquired about the green chilles by the eggs. We were told they were made fresh every morning. It's right on Rt. 66. Rooms are fabulous. Couch and chair in a king room. Clean!

Very clean and comfortable room with plenty of room to relax. The A/C was easy to manage and there was plenty of lighting. There were many options to choose from for breakfast... many protein items and many other things too.

The Best Western Plus Gallup is easily accessed from I-40. It is a newer property and well-appointed. Wonderful breakfast to wake up to with offerings for just about every taste! The Best Western is also conveniently located to restaurants.

The Best Western hotel was very good, the hotel was clean & spotless, Gallup on the other hand was not, couldn't wait to leave. Nothing wrong with the hotel, but Gallup itself looked rundown out of date.

We've made several road trips this summer and had multiple hotel stays. This location is immaculate, the staff is very professional and friendly and willing to be helpful anytime, day or night! This was the most wonderful hotel stay all summer. It is a beautiful hotel, and very clean. I would stay here again and again!

Tub stopper didn't work, but they helped me move to a new room . Breakfast was very good. Bed and pillows excellent, would like another blanket. Pool closed for maintenance, alas, but I did know that when reserving.

Recently remodeled hotel and guest rooms, free breakfast with a wide variety of heated & unheated selections, friendly staff, great location, and an INCREDIBLY REASONABLE RATE! Our stay was perfect! Unfortunately the indoor pool and hot tub were temporarily closed for maintenance.

Bizarre Decor but clean. The lobby looks like it was furnished with HomeGoods rejects. One of the strangest combinations of bad art, strange furnishings and totally odd wall colors and textures. Guest rooms are clean but odd fabrics and worse art. Elevator lobbies look like a hospital operating room (i thought i was in the service elevator. Stay here if you like odd interior decor or don't care. We wouldn't even stay for the free breakfast! Couldn't wait to leave.

This is a great hotel located just one block off Historic Route 66. Someone once told me that Gallup has 65 to 70 hotels (and I think almost all of them are located long Route 66). But this one is laid back a block. Take Exit 22/Miyamura. At Route 66 this becomes Ford. In one block the Best Western is on your right on Aztec. The rooms was great. Clean and neat. The hotel had a bit of style that one could see in the wall art and carpets. Breakfast was good. Service was where this hotel fell down a bit. Check in was smooth. But checkout was not. When I asked about the availability of a best Western Plus in another town, I was told to go look it up myself because she was too busy; she had to take care of the complimentary breakfast and checkout. Management had understaffed.

Very nice hotel. Clean big rooms I had the room with the kitchen and it came with all the utensils you will need to cook and eat with. Good breakfast a lot to choose from. Check in and out was fast and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

This hotel was nice and clean. The staff were courteous but not particularly friendly. The room amenities were very satisfactory, except that the spa and pool had been closed by the State (according to the sign) and inquiring with staff did not reveal when it may open, if ever. I'm a disabled veteran and have been working on strengthening via aquatic therapy. I was disappointed this was not available. My accessible room had a zero step shower and was easily entered, although one of the grab bars was loose. The water pressure in the shower was a little disappointing. The room was very clean and nicely furnished. The bed was very comfortable. It was a hot day and the A/C worked great. The complementary breakfast was outstanding the next morning with everything you could want, including hot New Mexico green chili's. We'd flown in to Gallup in a private plane and received courtesy transportation to the hotel by the FBO. We should have rented a car, because we had planned an early departure the next morning, but discovered that there was no ground transportation to be had until 8AM local time. Fortunately, one of the hotel managers arrived and kindly took us to the airport. Jeannette was her name, I believe. What a sweetheart. I believe this hotel is only 4 years old and the newest in Galup. I had forgotten my 110v to USB adapter for my smartphone and could not charge my phone, at all. I checked with the front desk and they usually kept adapters for guest to borrow or purchase, but were out of both. I was very surprised these were not built in in any of the rooms in a hotel this new. Oh well. Live & learn. Overall, this was a nice and clean facility, well furnished, with a great bed, and good complementary breakfast.

Awesome place to stay. Very friendly. Awesome staff. Speedy check in and speedy checkout. Very clean rooms. Spacious. Parking lot gated and well kept. HOWEVER, need more choices in the snack bar and maybe have phone chargers available for sale.

Located behind El Rancho, the BW has a great central location close to highway and downtown. You can hear trains, but that is true everyplace we have stayed in Gallup and we kind of like it. Rooms are large, clean, and comfortable with good lighting and windows that open, a plus for me. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Large breakfast room with good assortment of hot and cold foods. Finally, when I say staff are helpful, I have a good example. I forgot some jewelry in room when we departed. Hotel management phoned to let we know they had found the earrings before I even realized I had forgotten them. They then made arrangements to ship the jewelry to me. Thanks to Michelle and all of the great staff at BW Gallup.

Made reservation 3 months in advance. Reserved a suite, got a room with an extra rollaway bed. Staff was indifferent about the mistake. Said drs and nurses extended their stays and the suite we reserved wasn't available. I guess they were more important than us. They can have their business in the future as well. We still paid for the suite.

The mattress was so comfortable. Later, I even called and asked what type of mattress is in the room. The man who answered refused to find out the type of mattress. He even admitted he receives the question often. I was disappointed in the lack of customer service. He came off as rude and lazy.

This is a nice, clean and quiet hotel. Also very affordable. The rooms (suites) are beautiful and fully equipped. It was wonderful. We will certainly stay here again. One of Best Westerns Best.. It is close to some really good restaurants.

Stayed there last week. First night had 3 people come to the hot tub who were not renting at the hotel. One male stated that they come to the pool regularly to "kick back". One male stayed in the pool bathroom for 30 to 45 minutes, I'll draw my conclusions what he was doing in the bathroom for 30 to 45 minutes, also let's not forget one male telling another male to get him coffee with cream (Hey, why not free hot tub and coffee right?). Made my wife uneasy, as well as another older lady who actually left the hot tub after the males entered the hot tub. I did let the General Manager know about the issue as soon as my wife checked out of the hotel, to include letting the General Manager know there appeared to be a surveillance camera in the pool area so that she could look at it. I didn't get a call back till Monday. Upon speaking with GM today, GM began to advise me she looked at the surveillance camera and advised this male was only in the bathroom for 30 minutes (I guess this justifies everything right?). The conversation cut off, and I immediately called back twice and no one answered. What occurred at this hotel was WRONG and the way it was handled was WRONG as well!!! We will never stay at this hotel and recommend anyone stayiing in Gallup in the future to stay somewhere else! `

We were traveling Route 66 and this best best Western was a great place to stop for the night. The location is right behind the historic El Rancho Hotel where we had an outstanding dinner. The next morning the full breakfast with real silverware and coffee cups was a surprise. I recommend this location highly

This place looks really new. We stayed in a junior suite, and it fit our family just fine with plenty of room. Breakfast was a hot breakfast and good, with a lot of dining space. Property is not far off of I40, and has an Albertsons nearby if you need any groceries. Staff are very friendly and accomodating.

This is a very nice hotel. The beds are very comfortable and there are many pillows. It is clean and has a Hot Tub and Pool. The Bathroom is well appointed and the Air Conditioning works well. The complimentary breakfast is very good.

We stayed one night here on the way to Las Vegas. Convenient location and very friendly and knowledgeable staff. The room was nice but there were a few things that didn't work - bathroom fan, no soap in the shower dispenser and room was dusty. Also could hear guests in rooms above and beside us. Nothing major but just the little things that make a person feel the staff goes the extra mile and really cares about doing a good job. WE didn't complain about anything as were tired when we arrived and just wanted a place to relax and sleep and get on the road the next morning. The breakfast was a full hot breakfast. Very nice selection of items and all staff we encountered were very friendly.

Wonderful Stay, Not far off the beaten path (I-40). Staff was wonderful and I would most definitely stay there again. The breakfast looked amazing, The coffee hit the spot. Very good breakfast buffet, fun and unusual seating area. Nice clean, quiet room, friendly staff. It was important to us *not* to hear the trains, and this place met that goal--yet it is conveniently located relative to 'downtown'. Would stay again.

Breakfast lady was lazy and rude, Pool area was dark and water cloudy looking, I got to Breakfast with a hour left and forks, plates. fruit, oatmeal and toppings were gone, lady was rude to make more, had to complain to get more oatmeal but no toppings and only for her to rudely throw it there to eat, after paying $150 a night for rooms, Hotel and Rooms were clean and great environment. Front dest was great just those 2 issues I had.

This is an amazing hotel. The best full breakfast offered by any Hotel, for free. The rooms and hotel are super clean. Staff was friendly and super helpful. Full kitchen with appliances for cooking, including pots and pans and utensils. Even pans to bake a cake. The rooms are very clean. Full cable TV channels with movie channels, over 300 channels to watch. High speed internet. The gym and pool are very clean. Indoor pool was great, the water was always warm at at least 86 degrees and indoors. This is the only hotel I will stay at now.

This is a great place to stay. Very clean. Very good breakfast. Comfy beds. Nice pool. Close to alot of points of interest. My grandkids really enjoyed the pool and work out room. We all enjoyed the hot yummy breakfast every day.

Our stay was just as good as we expected. We had some car trouble and the staff was especially helpful to us in getting us on our way. They pointed us to the right people to get our car started and did so with kindness and care. Could not have been more helpful.

Very nice clean inn easily accessed from the interstate. One felt safe in this area. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were quiet. Staff made you feel comfortable and welcome. Breakfast was served in the morning and was very good.

This Best Western is only about four years old and is a great place to spend the night. It is one block off of the main street and about 1/4-1/3 mile from the interstate almost in the center of town. Right behind the El Rancho motel so the bar, resturant and shop are in walking distance. The staff at check in were great and friendly. There were plenty of luggage carts. Our room was very clean and large with a great desk, a table and chairs and stuffed chairs. The bed was very comfortable. The free full breakfast was good with many selections with a very nice dining area. We will definately stay here the next time we are in Gallup for the night.

All was lovely from check in, a great room with great beds to a tasty breakfast in the morn. We did not expect to have such a nice room and the price was certainly right. Enjoyed our stay. Staff was very friendly and patient. Rooms were spacious.

One of the finest lodging options in Gallup, and well located, next to the highway, and close from downtown. Large modern renovated rooms with nice amenities, large desk and plenty of storage space. Breakfast disappointing, all served in styrofoam and plastic recipient (it's not year 2019 for Best Western yet).

Stopped for one night on the way through. Rooms were large, spacious, and clean! Breakfast was unorganized. Only one person working and lots of guests staying. The person working was friendly and doing her best but could have used some help!

The LOUD CITY TRAFFIC NOISES from Aztec Road was HORRIBLE!! There was loud trucks & their loud mufflers, loud motorcycles - ALL DAY & NIGHT! There was only 6 Kleenex in the box in the bathroom....some maids don't do their jobs as well as others!! The Refrigerator in the room DID NOT KEEP OUR WATER & SODAS COLD - at all. Lighting in room was not good...…..But, the breakfast was very good.

what can I say? Close to freeway easy to find , staff was wonderful, breakfast was worth it you cant go wrong. we phoned ahead to get a room with easy access and got on right next to door, everything else after was smooth sailing thank you again

We stayed here in room 221 on 6/9/19. The hotel was a bit hard to find (Note: it is directly behind the El Rancho) and looks new. The exterior and lobby look good and there is plenty of parking. Our check in was fine but when I tried to use a BW gift card (which I was unable to print out but had all the info from on my reservation sheet) it took 20 minutes and,for me, a lot of hassle to use it. Our room was good sized, clean and quiet. The beds were comfortable and you can walk to the El Rancho restaurant. Breakfast was good, better than a number of BW Plus hotels we have been at.

We recently stayed here for 3 nights, the hotel is fairly new I think and it is very clean and well maintained. We had an assessable room which was large and spacious and would be easy to manoeuvre a wheelchair around. The bathroom was also equipped with modern assessable aids. There was in indoor pool and spa both which had lifting devices and there was a small outdoor area with table and chairs and smoking area

This motel was almost booked up completely when we arrived on a Friday evening. They still had a great room at a great price.to accommodate us. Plus getting a king bed on the ground floor. Being older and the legs not working as well as they used to we really appreciated the 1st floor accommodations. Breakfast was excellant. With plenty of options. And very friendly staff.

This Hotel was excellent for the price , we went to visit family and would definitely stay there again. Very friendly staff and very clean and spacious room. Breakfast was very good , a lot of variety and i loved the green chili salsa for the eggs!!

This hotel is in a convenient location for travelers, and staff is friendly. the rooms are clean and include all the amenities you would expect: tv, microwave, mini fridge, hair dryer, WiFi, plus a desk and extra outlets and even usb ports for your electric devices. Hot breakfast is included.

I meet my daughter and granddaughters in Gallup, NM after school is out! Gallup is the halfway for her from CO and me from AZ! We have stayed at several motels over several years that were just “ok”! We finally found the Best Western on Aztec Avenue and have been staying there for the last few years! It is an excellent choice, very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are very clean? If you need to spend the night in Gallup, I highly recommend this motel!

We stayed here for four nights and it was very pleasant. We had a room on the top floor, at the front of the hotel, dircted at the I40 and the railroad, but both didn't bother us at all; my husband is a sound sleeper and i have very good earplugs. The room was large, and very clean. There's a microwave and a minifridge. Breakfast is as usual with BW. The hotel looks modern and clean.

The location is what you can expect from US hotels, next to connecting roads. This one is a stone throw from the I40. The reception was normal, theroom was great, large with fridge and good bathroom. We were on the 4th floor and yes, you can here the trains all night and people with high powered car engines driving past. It didn't really bothered us. Breakfast is good despite the camping equiped plastic cutlery and paper plates.

Very nice for a X/C stop good breakfast and adding Gluten Free baked options helps. Very clean comfortable room accomodating 3 adults easily and very quiet away from the interstate. Staff and manager eager to assist.

We walked in without reservations into this hotel. We stayed in a king suite, which was huge. This place looks brand new. Beautiful decor, friendly, helpful staff, great breakfast. It is one of the nicest Best Westerns I have stayed at for a very reasonable price.

This BW Plus was new, very clean, modern, great bed and other amenities, lovely room for breakfast with all kinds of options, and very helpful staff all around. I definitely recommend it if staying in the area.

Everything was well done. We did get an upgrade to due to our our membership in the reward program which was delightful. The breakfast area was unique in its design and the food was great. We enjoyed our stay here very much. Can't go wrong here.

This hotel was very good for a quick stay. The rooms were very nice but the walls are thin, noisy neighbors. The breakfast was good. The neighborhood seemed a little sketchy at night but okay. The hotel seems to be in a strange location though the El Rancho in front of us was an interesting place. Overall, a good place to stay.

I've never been in what is effectively a brand new hotel. Everything was brand new and up to date. The breakfast was very good and had a great selection of choices. The room was quiet and the bed excellent.

This motel is fairly new. It was stunning with its decor. It has two elevators and they coated with stainless steel interior. The rooms were large with all the ammenities. Thermostadt to control temperature. Nice happy hour upon arrival with beer and wine and snacks. Large screen TV's with unlimited channels. Great breakfast bar. There were 3 people working to keep up with food demand.Nice indoor pool. It was worth the rate we paid.

This hotel was very nice, clean and comfortable. The location seemed somewhat remote. This county is dry on Sunday and most places closed. Only place to eat and have a cocktail was across the street at an older historic El Rancho. Food was good in a small dining room area.

While Gallup, New Mexico is typically a place that people "pass through" either to experience Route 66 or on their way to/from Albuquerque/Phoenix, having a great place to stay the night to break up a long trip is wonderful! I've come to love the Best Western Plus hotels, as they are convenient, modern, and have amenities I like (a quick breakfast in the morning), comfy beds (Beautyrest in this one), a quiet! If you need a great dinner while there, walk across the street to the restaurant in the El Rancho (one of the oldest -1937 - hotels in Gallup) and enjoy a great dinner with excellent wine selection (I bought 2 bottles). Then back to the extremely comfy room/bed at the Best Western Plus!

One of the best Best Western's we've ever stayed in. We reserve a room every time we drive the I-40. We make a point of staying in Gallup at this lovely hotel. Rooms are decorated very nicely. Place is quiet and one street off the Old Route 66. Always fun to check out the El Rancho Historic Hotel across the street.

Wonderful experience! I've stayed one other time this year for another training/conference in Gallup, and this trip, one of the men who worked the front desk remembered me! I've only stayed once, and he remembered my face. What a wonderful experience to have, to have him remember me like that! Great staff, friendly and helpful always. The rooms are your standard Best Western fare with fridge and microwave which is great when you're staying multiple days. Very clean. Close to shopping areas, historical hotel El Rancho, and Route 66. Good location for business in the area. Would recommend and stay again!

This hotel is hard to find fault with. It looks brand new but isn't. The decorating is superior....great job! Dinner at El Rancho is right next door. So clean. Very friendly. I will definitely try to go back to Gallup.

Everything was great! EXCEPT the breakfast. It ran from 7 to 10, but by 845 they were out of everything. Literally cereal but no milk, 1 banana, 3 yogurts and waffles. Guests kept asking for food to be replaced in the buffet line. The lady handling it said yeah well I close at 10 and I have a 2nd job to get to so I cant make more food.... Um, there was still over an hour left! Im assuming someone conplained because another employee came and talked to her. She then brought out sausage, half cooked eggs, undercooked potatoes, and filled all the breads, fruits, milks, coffee etc. She was not happy as she was slamming things around. BUT on a good note everything else was amazing, room was clean and comfortable, the rest of the staff was nice. Right off the freeway , nice location. I will be back, but may eat elsewhere

I had internet problems when I was booking this room and ended up with three reservations. Hotel quick to correct my mistakes, very accommodating and in fact upgraded my room. Hotel staff very friendly and on the ball. Although no restaurant in the hotel recommended hotels across the street which had an excellent restaurant and a surly bartender.

The hotel was nice and clean inside and outside. The staff was friendly, knowledgable, and checkin/checkout was quick. Great breakfast was offered with hot eggs, sausage, waffles, oatmeal, and fruit. It is in a great location and was easy to find.

This Best Western is one of the cleanest properties I've stayed at. Their employees are so hospitable and always make me feel so welcomed. General Manager Rory does a good job at keeping his property perfectly maintained. From being greeted once u arrive on property to entering a well maintained, clean room to having a great nights rest and to having a great hot meal, this property will not let u down.

The lobby was wonderful and the breakfast was a verygood variety. Would recommend this hotel to other that are going through Gallup. The desk clerk offered the new sleep at three best westerns and get one free. The first two did not even mention it. Also was given the number to call.

The best place in Gallup to stay! It is very close to whatever you need! The friendly staff make you feel like you are in your on home!! If you ever have a problem it is fixed right away! I will never stay anywhere where else! I travel to Kansas to see my family about 5 time a year and always stay there on my way to see them!!

Clean, friendly and well decorated and very pleasant place. Everyone we we came in contact with from check in to check out was friendly and helpful. The facility itself is very clean and well furnished. An overall pleasant and satisfying experience.

This was our third time to sat at this Best Western in Gallup and have always been pleased with the room, staff, and breakfast. The rooms are large and comfortable with frig and microwave. The staff is friendly. Location is central to the downtown and close to the highway. We have tried several hotels in Gallup but with Best Western we now have a favorite to which we will continue to return.

My family and I have stayed in several Hotels in the area, after Hospital visits and by far the Best Western plus of Gallup in the most comfortable Hotel we have stayed at. check and check is very satisfying. You need a place to rest and relax, this is the place.

Fairly new hotel and has it all. The room was perfect! Beautiful and comfortable. The Breakfast is great and really added Value! Lots and lots of options for everyone. The Manager Rory didn't really express any guest manners and somewhat abrupt and rude. However, "Andy" at the front desk demonstrated the complete guest experience - he was extremely professional, attentive and wonderfully friendly! Definitely a good match for Management. Thank you.

EXCELLENT HOTEL - clean, quiet, comfortable, with an amazing breakfast restocked regularly - Michelle was working especially hard, running in and out refilling the hot food and saying “hello” to visitors - she is truly a gem, I hope they appreciate the great job she's doing

We would stay here again if stopping at Gallup. Clean, spacious rooms and good breakfast. Only one complaint- the bathtub is very slippery even when using mat. You have to be very careful! Would highly recommend- you won't be sorry.

Was just here for a night, but was really impressed with the lobby and breakfast area. I had just had surgery so they found me a spot on the first floor which was helpful. Room was clean and the bathroom was rather large which was a nice surprise.

There are many hotels in Gallup, however if you want to be close to the downtown area this is as close as you can be. It is also the newest hotel in town. Very good free breakfast, and everyone on staff is top notch. The rooms are clean and beds are pillow soft, and decorated to fit the surrounding southwest area. I would definitely recommend this establishment.

We needed a place to stay along I-40 for a family trip and decided to stay in Gallup because it was about as far as we could safely drive in a day. The front desk check-in staff was very courteous and helpful and upgraded our room. The room, internet, fitness center, and breakfast were all good. The room was clean and quiet, and was a good experience.

We stayed one night in December on our way to California. This hotel is about 1 block south of the interstate. We arrived at approximately 5:30 pm and had to wait about 10 minutes. The young man at the front desk, Shane, was friendly and helpful. Our room, 303, faced the street but we heard very little street noise. The room was clean with updated furnishings and plenty of electrical outlets. The heater was very quiet and kept us comfortable all night long. The room also had a fridge and microwave. I would definitely stay here again.

The room was nice and the facilities were clean. My family needs an ADA room and I like to use the exercise equipment. The cardio equipment was in need of service. It was so bad that I tried to use the elliptical machine first and then the reclining bicycle. Both ran so poorly that I had to stop. If you need an ADA room, they have large ones that will easily fit a wheelchair. The main concern is that the control for the hand held shower is up by the shower head, 6 feet away. There is no way someone in a wheelchair would be able to reach it. It is a nice location, and if I was in the area, and no where else to stay, I would stay here again, but it would not be my first choice.

Our stay literally could not have been any better!! This hotel was THE BEST and MOST COMFORTABLE stay we have ever had! We have stayed in many different hotels all across the US, and had stayed in 4 other hotels on that trip, and by far this was the nicest stay we had. The beds were SOOOO comfortable!!!! The room was very clean and nice, and it was such a great price!!! The best part about our stay was the super friendly Guest Service Member who helped us get booked and checked in. His name is Andy. We had gotten stuck in the recent blizzard and couldn't find a room to stay in for over 200 miles. We finally found a very cheap room at a local motel in Gallup. It was 4:30 am, and we just wanted to sleep, so it was fine to stay for a few hours. We knew we had to stay in Gallup for the day because of all the snow still falling, but we wanted a nicer room. I called this Best Western Plus and Andy was so sweet and helpful. He made sure our room was ready for check-in by noon, and it was ready when we got there shortly after. I've never had a hotel go above and beyond to help us out. Any other hotel would have told us to wait until 3:00 pm, but Andy was amazing and our baby boy was able to nap on time in the most comfortable bed. I'm so glad we found this little gem in the heart of New Mexico. We will DEFINITELY come back to this hotel on our next trip out to California.

We are Diamond Elite members and when we checked in at Best Western Gallup NM, we received a wonderful surprise. As Diamond Elite members, we are upgraded to another room. The suite that we were upgraded to was way beyond anything we expected. This is the not first time we have stayed here and every time we are so pleased. The staff is great and always ready to help you if you have a need or problem. We look forward to our next stay at Gallup. Thank you to everyone.

Checked into this location on our last night out of a 14 day trip from Arizona to Louisiana, Iowa, Kansas, New Mexico and back home. Located in the heart of Gallup NM with easy on, easy off Interstate 40 Access. Very amiable and helpful staff. room was excellent, clean and cozy. Snowed overnite but the streets had been plowed so we could leave the next morning. Everything was quite acceptable and will stay here in the future.

Stayed here 2 nights and booked the king kitchen suite, was clean, comfortable and quiet. The bed super comfy and great pillows (which I normally bring my own pillow but theirs were awesome). Staff super friendly and helpful. Their indoor pool and jacuzzi was a super way to relax and end the day. Breakfast in the morning has lots of options for everyone.

On our Route66 trip we overnight in this hotel. Clean, safe and well conditioned. We felt like at home. Breakfast was good enough to provide all energy needed for next day safe riding. It is a recomendable place!

This is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. We have two small service dogs, and even though they are allowed anywhere, we choose Best Western because there is never any hassle with them. They love pets too. This hotel, although difficult to locate in Gallup, is worth it. It's only 3 years old, so still in great shape, but also very friendly and helpful. They also provide a great free breakfast! Tip: it's also extremely reasonable. We were very satisfied. Good job, Best Western!

I've stayed in this place once a year for the past four years. I've yet to be disappointed. This place is clean! The manager is very involved in making the guests feel like he cares and he is very involved in the oversite of his staff.

All the modern conveniences and breakfast too. Not just muffins, eggs, bacon, potatoes, plus the muffins, cereal, yogurt, fruit, etc. Close to everything I needed. Staff very friendly. Rooms spacious.

The stay was great and the rooms very comfortable and new hotel. Best of all, the staff was so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was standard continental, but there are plenty of restaurant options nearby. I plan to return the next time I am in Gallup, NM.

This Best Western was clean, organized, busy and the staff is amazing. First of all the amenities were very well maintained. The hot breakfast in the morning was really good. Make your own waffles is fun for kids to see that they don't always come out of a frozen food box. Scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, multiple cereal choices, fruit, etc... Really good. The real reason for this review is because of the manager Rory. He went above and beyond to take an item of mine that I left behind in the room to the local UPS store so that they could send it back to me. THANK YOU RORY! I really appreciate it! I'm not used to such hospitality and kindness from strangers. This made the memories of our Southwest trip even more fond knowing that there are good people out there who still look out for one another.

Stayed here on our way to OK for the thanksgiving holiday. This hotel is like new and super clean. Really comfy beds and friendly staff. The free breakfast is great and has all the standard fare. The old El Rancho hotel across the street is worth a visit. Perfect place for a stopover.

We had a nice one night stay at this Best Western Plus in Gallop. Very nice front desk staff. Room was nicely decorated and very clean. Bed was very soft and comfortable. Loved the Pharmacopia toiletries. There is a train track to the north of the hotel, but the sound of passing trains was not disturbing. The breakfast area was large with ample seating. Very nice breakfast selection with items well marked. Sausage, bacon, eggs, oatmeal, waffles, as well as cold cereals, pastries, yogurt, fruit, granola bars, etc. They also had a wonderful warm green chile sauce and tortilla shells. They suggested potatoes topped with green chile and shredded cheese. It was delicious! A real New Mexico treat!

This BW Plus is convenient to I 40 and located in the historic area of Gallup. It appeared recently built and excellent in appearance, cleanliness, maintenance, and amenities. Staff was cheerful and friendly. The rooms are nicely decorated. Beds were excellent - firm but not too hard,and quality pillows. Hot breakfast served in the morning. This hotel is a definite recommend for travelers in the area, and is convenient to the Petrified Forest National Park.

Easy check-in. Front desk offered very helpful about local information. Impressive looking lobby which was also where we enjoyed a very bountiful and delicious breakfast. Room was comfortable and very clean. Would recommend requesting a room on the 4th floor. Noise level should be less. Definitely would stay here again.

The lobby was crowded with guests checking in (a good sign, actually), but we were efficiently checked in and happy with our room. We ate across the street at El Rancho (worth a visit) and were pleased with our meal. The best part of my stay was that I slept through the entire night in a peacefully-quiet room. Clean room, nice staff, quiet night - exactly what I paid for.

I stayed here a bit over a year ago and the only issue that I had back then (some weird disinfectant smell in the room) was gone. Everything else was just as nice as last time. Modern, clean, comfortable rooms, a very comfy bed, nice breakfast with lots of hot and cold items, friendly staff, low rates - what else can you ask for? The only thing I didn't like very much was that the water in the shower took a looooong time to get warm. In a dry area like New Mexico, I hate to let the water run for any longer than necessary but here it felt like an awful waste of water.

Really wanted to give it a five (5) star, but the tiny bathroom stopped this. This seems to be an issue with Best Westerns. Breakfast was great. Places to see and where to eat was spot on. The manager is a character.

We needed a room in Gallup on the way home unexpectedly and chose this one because I have had good experiences with Best Western Plus. The hotel was wonderful and the service was great. We will stay there again if in the area. We will choose more Best Western Plus hotels in the future.

This Best Western has been recently renovated with aqua/brown decor and is very nice. The breakfast includes real eggs, sausage, potatoes, cereal, fruit, oatmeal, yogurt. Very pleasant room and very reasonable price! If I'm near Gallup again, I'll return.

It was a great experience from check in to check out. Very friendly employees, great beds and pillows, clean quiet room, excellent breakfast. Comfortable experience all around. El Rancho restaurant and hotel across the street is a treat. Like visiting a museum and the food was top notch. I give BW plus 5 stars. Wouldn't stay any where else in Gallup.

We have stayed a at least a half dozen hotels in Gallup, but this is best we have found. It is rather new with a modern design. It has free parking and is centrally located behind the El Rancho ( a historic hotel we have stayed in in the past which we liked except for poor service and no free breakfast). Best Western had very good full breakfast in large comfortable modern room. Our Best Western room had large windows and comfortable beds. You are within a few minutes by car from downtown and restaurants. We would have felt safe walking to any of these places in maybe 15 minutes. We plan to return in October.

Wonderful staff, professional, very helpful, courteous, and clean! I felt right at home here. I ended up staying an extra night because I had a migraine, and the staff was very helpful, as I had to move to another room do to booking, and staff helped me move, and called concerned checking up on how I was feeling later in the day. They genuinely cared about my well-being. That meant the world to me.

This hotel is right in center of city right off Route 66 behind the El Vado. Looked to be fairly new even with the new smell! Front desk staff very friendly and helpful! Room was fresh and very up to date! Very comfy beds! The one queen bed was very close to a/c unit so was blowing right at bed, was a nice quiet fan so no disruption of sleep. Fridge & microwave & good channel selection on tv. Small pool area. Great breakfast!!! and again friendly desk staff!!! Would stay here again!

Great place to stay. Front desk was friendly & helpful. Our double queen room was very spacious and plenty of room to spread out. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast is very good with some items normally not offered at other hotels. Overall property is very clean and will stay again when passing thru.

We arrived late and it was nice to be welcomed. The hotel was easy to find, just off the Interstate and behind the "El Rancho", and was lit up brightly. Our room was quite spacious; one of the bright lights was shining into our room, but closing the curtains made the room dark enough to sleep. Breakfast was OK. Gallup has quite a few murals around town - reception gave us a mural map which was useful. The road in front of El Rancho is the old Route 66 so this BW hotel is in a good location.

No complaints, lovely and clean, comfortable room, staff very helpful and friendly, breakfast good, convenient location, would definitely stay in Best Western hotels again if they are all like this one, well done

This is a very nice hotel in a quiet location. The hotel is extremely clean and everything we used was in proper working order. The staff was really friendly and helpful. We will use this hotel again when we are in Gallup.

We were loyal Hampton Inn folks, but Best Western has upped their game & kept prices lower than their competitors. We stayed at this inn for $89 and had a suite with a full kitchen. It was as nice if not nicer than the competition that I mentioned above. As usual it came with a full breakfast, very nice new place.

We stayed here in May 2017 and went back because it is a great hotel with a location that allows you to see a lot of Gallup and surrounding area. The room we had this time was large with a roomy bath that had plenty of towels. The personnel at both the desk and breakfast were just great. Breakfast had a lot of variety, plenty of fresh fruit and wonderful coffee that did not quit. Highly recommend this hotel.

The rooms are like new, staff is amazing and nice indoor pool with an option to open the windows... (Sometimes indoor pools can get very stuffy.) The only thing I don't recommend, staying on the second floor above the lobby/carport, you will end up hearing the lobby door open & close very few seconds. Thought it was a truck going by and figured it our later. But, it wasn't a big deal for a one night stay. I will continue to stay at this location much as possible. My family an I always come back home (Lupton, AZ 20mins west of Gallup) to check on my moms house. Nobody currently lives there and always needing repairs and to replace flowers on our family burial plot. So, after a hard days work around the house, it nice to come back to this hotel to enjoy the pool and clean room. The friendly staff is a plus!

We stayed here twice on our recent trip. The staff are extremely courteous, eager to help and friendly. Rooms are comfortable, very clean and well equipped. Location is a very close to the interstate turn off. Across from the El Rancho, if you are curious. Great value, as well. Highly recommended.

Best Western, Gallup NM I had separate but consecutive reservations at this hotel so I stayed two nights in one room and one night in a different room. Except where noted my remarks apply to both rooms. The rooms and bathroom were spacious, attractive, and immaculate. With exceptions noted below, all furniture, appliances, electronics, and bathroom fixtures worked perfectly. The hotel desk staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful and efficient. The room entryway and bedroom had excellent, bright lighting, but I needed brighter lighting in the bathroom for effective grooming. The included ("free") breakfast was excellent. The variety of foods was very good and the quality of the scrambled eggs was great. My two recommend improvements are to provide walnut pieces as a topping for oatmeal and dry cereal, and to provide a high fiber, low sugar dry cereal option (I recommend Post Shredded Wheat 'N Bran, Spoon Size; I like Raisin Bran but prefer to avoid the high sugar content). Ideally, for cereal toppings, there would also be fresh strawberries and/or raspberries when they are in season, but of the dozen or so hotels (not just Best Western) where I've stayed this summer and last, only one meet this ideal (Best Western in Petaluma, CA). I highly recommend this hotel and rate it a 4.8 on a 5-point scale. Here are issues to fix to earn those remaining 0.2 points: 1. In my first room, the shower head shot out thin, discrete needles of water. This was slightly uncomfortable and the overall volume of water was less than I prefer. The shower head probably needed to be cleaned of mineral deposits. (The shower head did have an adjustment, but it made no difference.) I was staying in a room on the third floor and my sister had a room on the fourth floor. I told her about my shower and she said hers was the same. So, I thought, maybe the hotel thinks this is "a feature, not a bug." However, on my third night at the hotel I stayed in a different room, on the first floor, and the shower head was of a different style and worked great. 2. The lighting in both bathrooms was not bright enough for me. 3. The hotel provided only one small bar soap to be shared between the lavatory and the tub/shower. 4. There is an ice machine on each floor, but during my two nights on the third floor the ice machine was not working and/or turned off.

One of the best Western I have ever used. I stay all the time and this is a preference hotel of mine. The owner is the best at ensuring you are happy and everything goes well very quiet hotel as well.

New construction. Clean. Comfortable. Bedding & linens actually nice & comfy. Friendly staff. Sufficient qty of baggage carts. Easy to find off I40. One of the better BW's we have stayed. Parking a little inconvenient, & possible security issue off to side of property, however it is fenced, well lit, & security cameras. Would return.

Nice hotel. Fairly new location (3 years). Breakfast area is great with selections and seating. Very friendly staff working the breakfast area, making sure guests were getting what they wanted and chatting up guests to make everyone feel at home. Good location near downtown and across the street from the historic El Rancho Hotel. I would definitely stay here again!

Wow... we had a family suite for our overnight stop in Gallup. It had two separate rooms, a full kitchen with granite counter tops, make up dressing area and separate tub/shower room. It was a small apartment and very affordable. The two ladies at the front desk were very quick, efficient and friendly. Breakfast was very good, quiet and relaxing. If you find yourself in Gallup, give them a try.

This is a beautiful, clean, quiet hotel. i was driving across the country and stayed here one night. It was a very comfortable stay. It is about a mile from the central downtown area and is a very easy walk. The front desk staff was very friendly. I asked for a late check out which was no problem.

Stayed in a spacious suite which accommodated our family of 6 very nicely. Hotel next door to a famous Route 66 landmark. Would recommend to anyone in the area. Delicious breakfast and very friendly staff.

We really enjoyed our stay; the beds we're cozy, the staff were exceptional, and the breakfast was tasty with excellent green chili. The pool was nice, butbthe hottub was out of order. We will definitely stay here again.

Very clean and welcoming. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was above average and had good selection. Beds very comfortable. The lotion and shampoo offered was nice. The towels were a little rough. The only problem was the spa was not working.

Traveling across country. This is a perfect place to stay one or more nights. Clean, quiet and after a long drive it was such a nice surprise to walk into a very comfortable room! We stayed in many hotels in different states and this ranks up at the very top.

We stopped by here on the July 6th for just one night and I couldn't say nothing but positive things about this place. The customer service they gave was was amazing! The two gentleman were very helpful when we called for the reservation and as we arrived as well. the room was VERY CLEAN which is a big thing for me having two younger kids. If we ever come by again we will def. Be staying here.

As someone else said, Gallup is a good place to break up a drive from Phoenix to the north. We booked this place and upon arrival were upgraded to a suite. It was unbelievable. Full kitchen and living room area and the bedroom was completely separate with a door. It was huge!. Front desk staff incredibly pleasant and nice even offering us some restaurant reservations. reason I have to subtract a star is that there was no regular coffee for us to use in the coffee maker. It's a big deal for my husband. Personally I would have given it a 5 but... Highly recommend if you are on I40

Stayed one night in a king suite with sofa bed. Room is spacious, AC worked well and everything was clean. Beds (including sofa bed) was comfortable. Kitchenette seriously lacks basic dish-ware. Parking is tight and hotel should require large trucks with trailers to park on the steeet. When we arrived in the room there was 3-4 paper towels left on the roll and toilet paper had a 1/4 roll with no extra rolls. Had to go pick it up from front desk, very disappointed. Lastly, started getting ready for bed and rolled out the sofa bed, to my surprise there was no bedding in the room. Called front desk and was informed we needed to pick it up. Again, not a big deal but very disappointing and inconvenience for any customer, not just me. If the staff would have offered to bring these items to the room, this review would have been 5 stars. Feed back to best western, focus on customer service and basic in room consumables to ensure they are properly stocked.

This hotel is only a couple of years old & it still feels new. Our room was really nice, fresh & modern. Staff were good throughout & the WiFi was OK. The pool was nice, it's only small but enough for a quick dunk. The breakfast was good with all the usual Continental fare but also included some hot offerings. Although we only stayed the one night we were really comfortable & would certainly recommend it without hesitation.

Stayed here for a night heading West. Room was large, clean and quiet. Breakfast was included being the normal array of cereals etc. Staff were friendly and the complex was in good repair. It's a pity that it's free wifi is hit and miss as it kept dropping out. Had dinner across the road at the El Rancho Hotel Restaurant- but it was pretty ordinary.

Nice and clean, helpful staff. Just another overnighter. Comfortable bed, same type of breakfast items. We would stay here again if in the area. Furniture was a little dated. The area is pretty run down.

The facility appeared clean and the staff was excellent. However, I was thoroughly bitten by bedbugs on legs and arms on June 1, 2018 trip. This is the first time my wife and I have ever experienced this problem. But, it is a serious one and needs to be corrected. The location was convenient and everything else was fine. But the bedbugs outweighed all else. .

The reason for only two stars is because of the person who checked us in, Shane. He was rude, obnoxious and condescending, let's just say a very poor attitude. Here is just one example: We stay at BW all the time, hold the room on a card, and then pay cash in the morning at check out. He said that paying cash was not allowed, only cards, so we put it on our card, not wanting to. In the morning while checking out I asked the very friendly lady at the front desk if it was possible to pay cash, and she said of course. The BW itself was clean, and nice, and I would stay there again, except for the fact that I would have to deal with Shane, so as long as he's there, we won't be. I also noticed other reviews that mention his rudeness. Someone needs to speak to him, and explain what customer service is, and here's one more example, while checking in I asked to make sure that the room we had was correct, two queen beds. He said "you don't have two rooms, only one, and we're sold out." I responded with "I didn't say two rooms, just two beds." He said "no you said two rooms." And said it in a rude tone. This was after the cash issue, so I let him know I would be e-mailing his boss about his attitude. He said: "here's my name, it's Shane". And grabbed his name tag and pulled it forward from his shirt so that I could see it. I'm guessing that despite the response to other reviews the issue has not been dealt with, regarding his attitude, and my only guess is that he's a relative or something. Oh and I went online that evening just out of curiosity to see if rooms were available, and they were, so they weren't sold out like he said.

Wifi was great. My room also had an ethernet receptacle. Internet speeds were about 15 Megabytes per second up and down for both Wifi and Ethernet. But dont let the 15 mbps fool you, Im a hard-core gamer and on wifi or ethernet I was able to play League of Legends and Overwatch all night long without lag (which is very odd, usually lower speeds dont do that!) Beds were comfy, the pool wasnt too crowded and the staff were great. Suffice to say, I had a good stay.

Stayed one night. Greatstaff. Personable, courteous. Beautiful room. Well appointed with flat screen TV, fridge, microwave. Comfy bed, nice pillows. AC worked well. Could open window at night for cool air without the AC. Nice bathroom and shower. Great hot breakfast. A little off the expressway. Worth the short drive. Would recommend. Across the street at the El Rancho for dinner. Nice stay.

Seven of us spent two nights here over Memorial Day Weekend. We were in Gallup for a family reunion. Two of us are Gallup natives. Between us we had two regular rooms and two suites. The rooms were clean and spacious. The included breakfast was very good. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. We had arrived in the morning and the staff went out of their way to get our rooms ready. We were also able to get late checkouts. As a bonus, the hotel is across the street from the historic El Rancho Hotel, which has a good restaurant and whose lobby is not to be missed.

Gallup NM stands right at the beginning of NM traveling East on IH 40. And this delightful Best Western was a truly welcoming sight for the weariest of travelers. The Best Western that we checked into was a well-constructed hotel with inside corridors/hallways and I think 4 stories. It was a comfortable and safe stay with great amenities.

The man at the desk welcomed us, checking us in quickly & sharing places near by, that we asked about. It is easy to find off the highway, quiet clean room & comfortable beds, Not old yet not new--maybe updated. The dining area for breakfast was ample space & food dishes kept full for many to eat at one time. Perfect stop on our way to Las Vegas.

We stayed at this hotel on the way to the Grand Canyon. The rooms were clean and the staff was super friendly! They let us check in several hours early which was nice for our 2 kids who were tired of the car and just wanted to swim. Very nice, clean, and nice welcoming place.

Ended up losing my business since the manager himself booked my stays for two rooms and said I didn't guarantee with a Cc when he took my info..had to find another room at 11 at night on the night of my wedding. The GM himself booked my rooms.. . Didn't take any responsibility basically threw his employees under the bus and as did his employees..garbage.

This hotel seems to be relatively new or renovated at least. The gentleman who check us in was very welcoming and friendly. Our room had a absolutely appropriate size and our kingsize bed was comfy. We had a fridge and an safe which were very welcome. Even though the rooms seem to be relatively new, the bath was in kind of a bad shape. It smelled moldy and the edges were dirty. The overall impression was a bit dusty... Alyssa check us out the next morning and we experienced the absolute opposite from the day before when it comes to kindness. Though the check out was unfriendly and harsh. It left kind of a bad impression...

Enjoyed our stay very much at the Best Western in Gallup. Staff was great and the room was clean. I would definitely stay again. I have no complaints. The room was quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was good.

This is a Great place to stay where service with a smile is standard fare. The convenient location relative to the highway made it easy to find The room was very comfortable. It was quiet and yet welcoming place to lodge.

After a long day of driving all we wanted was a nice night of restful sleep. Everything was fine until at '4AM' we were woken to the sound of extremely loud alarms that scared the crap out of us. We were confused and didn't know if we had to evacuate or what but did call the front desk and the person said that they had overcooked the potatoes! At the checkout we mentioned to the front desk person that our night was ruined due to the alarm and all he said was sorry. This is not enough. The whole point of a hotel stay is to get a night of rest after being on the road and they couldn't do that. The least he could've done is offer us a discount on another visit but nope, nothing. Not happy. We paid a lot of money to stay at the "nicest" place in Gallup nm only to not be able to get sleep due to an employee error. No more best western for us. The hotel itself is fine. Everything seemed clean. But the breakfast is pretty gross. Worst bacon I've seen and the eggs are out of a carton. For the money they charge they can at least use real eggs.

Rooms are spacious, but the housekeeping is so so. The breakfast choices are superior to the usual fare found at motels with this price point. There were hot breakfasts with eggs, waffles, bacon, sausage, potatoes, fruit, cereals, etc. Everything was very fresh. One complaint about the shower, there are wall mounted containers for shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner. However, the ones in my shower were empty, requiring me to get out of the shower and get soap and shampoo off the sink top. Even after asking that they be refilled, nothing was done.

Can't say enough good things about our stay at this fine establishment. Starting with Mr Shane at the front desk. Delightfully friendly, helpful and professional, Shane is a very positive asset for the business. Everything was super clean, the room was excellent, the mattresses, pillows and bedding all like new, very good quality. The indoor pool was nice, but unfortunately not very inviting. Location just off I40 very convenient for the traveller. We will definitely stay there again, next week as a matter of fact! Well done!

We were really wowed with the room. Room was clean, roomy, bed was very comfortable, loved that there was a loveseat in the room. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The breakfast provided lots of variety. We would definitely stay there again.

Exceptional property!! We were upgraded to a suite which was fabulous. We had a fully equipped kitchen, living room, and separate bedroom. Although there was not a restaurant on site, we got a wonderful reference in walking distance. Great experience!

We stayed here for one night as we headed to Farmington. The rooms are comfortable, beds brilliant, breakfast good. This hotel had plenty of parking and was right behind El Rancho Hotel. This was great as we went there for drinks and dinner. The bonus of hanging out in an historic hotel but sleeping in a modern one. Nothing really to do with the hotel itself, just be warned that the old historic road now bypasses the actual town, so to get to the other side of town or go to Walmart etc, you actually have to drive quite a long way. Don't let the map fool you, you have to drive in a circle to get to some places.

I am a snowbird and I travel from the midwest to Arizona every year. Gallup, New Mexico is just over the border between Arizona and New Mexico and it is a convenient stop heading east from Phoenix or Scottsdale - a good first day ride after a morning of packing up. This was my first stay at the Gallup Inn and suites hotel - and I am filled with praise! First, this is a Best Western Plus location - and it was built recently with ALL of the special features for a PLUS location. Get this ---- I had 17 working electric outlets in my room - all of them in clear sight and ready to use !!! That is so very, very rare in so many hotels/motels. Wonderful! I am a Platinum Best Western member - and the people at the desk recognized me as such and gave me a great room on the 4th floor. The room was a king suite and I had lots of room, a great bed, and a couch and a chair. Everything worked. The WiFi was fast, there was lots of parking, the shower was hot with high water pressure, and there was a microwave and a refrigerator.... Breakfast was huge and delicious. I had cereal, scrambled eggs, and bacon. I skipped the DIY waffle but it was tempting. Everything in this facility was clean and modern. i can only wish that this were the uniform standard for ALL Best Western hotels - at least the ones claiming to be a PLUS. The Gallup Inn and Suites sets a high standard for the BW designation of a PLUS establishment. I have this location on my MUST stay list. I'm glad that I found it.

This hotel was clean & modern. The beds were comfortable and the showers had good water pressure. They serve a hot breakfast with plenty of choices in a comfortable lounge area. It is also an easy on/off from the highway.

Everyone was friendly but no overly friendly. At check in the two girls behind the counter were sitting over in the breakfast area and not in any rush to check me in. They weren't very friendly, I felt like I was interrupting there break for something. Everyone else said Hello, asked if they could help with anything etc.

We stayed here while passing through on a road trip. Staff was friendly and everything was clean. Our room was very nice and spacious. With our room being on he end of the hallway our only complaint was another guest sat outside our room on the phone talking extremely loudly as we tried to sleep. We eventually had to ask her to be quieter. Other than that it was a good stay. I would recommend this hotel.

We stayed in this hotel on the way back from bringing my daughter back to Chicago from LA.The hotel was very clean, ample parking lot as well. The staff was pleasant and courteous. The hotel is located just off the main drag which turned out to be perfect, as if it had been on the main drag it would have been horrible due to the noise and congestion. It was a perfect one night stay.

Nice modern hotel directly behind the famous El Rancho hotel - cheaper and newer than that place! Good free hot breakfast choices, friendly and courteous staff. El Rancho restaurant and bar is only across the street for dining. Very comfortable room, clean and quiet as it's one block back from the Main Street. Would stay again.

This hotel appeared to be recently renovated or new. The hotel was very clean and comfortable and plenty of hot water which sometimes is not available many time. The staff was very helpful and assisted me in going to the shopping area.

We didn't really have high expectations for our stay in Gallup and we were pleasantly surprised after our stay here. Staff was friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and functional, and noise was not an issue.,,even with two different baseball teams staying the same night! I'd stay here again!!

This BW is very close to I-40, which is a huge positive. It's very easy to get off and back on the highway. It is easy to find and has plenty of parking available. Desk clerk was very friendly and welcoming when we checked in and suggested places where we could eat without our even having to ask. Most importantly, the hotel is very clean. Our room and its bathroom were quite spacious and nicely decorated. Again, most importantly, both were very clean. The bed and pillows were comfortable and my husband and I both had a good night's sleep. Breakfast area is nice and there is an array of both hot and cold foods available. It is also nicely maintained during the service hours. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in Gallup, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this BW to others.

I enjoyed my stay here very much. With a 10-00 am cut-off time (mid-week) for breakfast, it is ideal for the leisure traveller. Andy on Reception was exceptional. Very helpful and a good advert for the company. I would definitely stay here again if I am ever in Gallup.

Great, reliable place to stay. Wouldn't hesitate on a return trip. Parking is a bit limited on busy nights, but not a problem. Staff is professional and courteous. For Gallup this is about as good as it gets.

We originally were going to drive from Phoenix to Flagstaff via Sedona and the Oak Creek Canyon but a winter storm made us consider heading as far east as we could. We ran out of steam about Gallup and selected this Best Western from reviews and price. We were greeted warmly and given a nice king room on the top floor. The room was very spacious and clean. The bath was also large and very nicely appointed. Breakfast was very nice and the coffee good and hot! only negative was that my side of the bed was "broken down" as though someone very heavy had sat on it and crushed the springs and metal frame of the mattress. It was a minor inconvenience since we had teh king bed, I just slepf nearer the center than normal. (BTW - The winter storm caught up to us, but we were east of Flagstaff so only had about an hour drive to get to clean roads) We would definitely stay here again.

There was plenty of lights in the parking lot. The lobby was clean. I checked in in matter of minutes. The customer service was excellent. The hallways were clean and smelled fresh. The room was amazing. It was decorated with different colors (gray walls, light blue couch, red chair, yellow chair at the computer desk). It inspired many emotions. The bathroom was spotless. I had breakfast in the morning. There were many options to choose from. Overall, this is the best experience that I have ever had in a hotel, and I travel a lot.

Our last stop on a nearly 7000 mile round trip - hotel #17 (I think!). It was great to finish off the trip at a nice clean, comfortable, not pet friendly hotel (allergies). The room was spacious, clean with a comfortable bed and very clean bathroom. Plenty of comfortable pillows, very comfortable bed and clean linens. We had nothing to complain about other than we only could spend one night. We were so exhausted and the hotel was so welcoming and comfortable we we really, really wanted to stay another night. The staff was really nice especially those in the breakfast room. I actually waved goodbye when we left!

This place is great. My room was spacious and my king bed had a soft mattress topper. The room was very clean, updated and well-maintained. The bathroom had granite countertops. And - most important - heating/a.c. unit purred quietly. I cannot tell you how many times I have lost sleep to loud wall units. But not here. I got great sleep in Gallup, NM. Next trip on I-40, I will be happy to stay here again.

Over the past 3 years we have been staying at BWP when traveling by auto as we take our pet with us. This is the FIRST BW that is not pet friendly and in fact the attendant was very unfriendly as well. Pulled into the lot and there were 5 cars at the hotel and upon checking in found they were not pet friendly, then went to La Quinta and they had one room left as they were sold out. Very disappointed.

After a long 500+ mile drive day I wanted a comfortable bed. I got one. I even checked out the workout room. 2 TVs one remote and the equipment is in good shape. They have a pool and hot tub but did not use either Too many kids it would not have been relaxing. Check in was easy breakfast is typical FREE hot breakfast beat bet is packaged oatmeal. It is nice to know ahead of time that the hotel you chose is going to be clean and comfortable. Best Western hotels have always been perfection. This hotel was no different. Easy checkin, great room, lovely breakfast and easy check out.

A beautiful inn with lots of amenities. Very clean. Enjoyed the swimming pool and spa. A quiet place to stay. Staff very friendly and kind. Had a great breakfast. Our king size bed was very comfortable and the room was larger than usual.

This is the second and third time I've stayed at this hotel in 2017 (2 days apart so writing combined review). The room was the size of a suite with a king bed. There was a sitting room (both times) as well as the very comfortable bed (if you like a hard mattress you will probably be disappointed). The breakfast was good and the attendant was very attentive to welcoming you to breakfast and offering to remove your plates, etc when you were finished. Very good experience for both visits.

Very modern design throughout the facilities. The room was clean with plenty of chairs, and the temperature perfect! Complimentary breakfast is served from 6:00 am to 10:00 am, they have a very roomy dining area so you don't feel like you're eating right next to strangers. They had one of the best breakfast bars I've seen! Bacon, sausage, scrambled egg, brkfst potatoes, cereal, choice of breads/muffins, oj, milk, cereal, fruits, yogurt, and waffle maker, and I'm pretty sure I missed some items. Our stay here was a real treat and we would definitely come back. :)

we got waylaid by vehicle issues on a recent journey and landed unexpectedly for a couple of days in Gallup. the management and people at the hotel were absolutely fantastic--their hospitality and help made a difficult situation much easier to deal with!

This Best western was rather disappointing. The room, internet, and general amenities were fine, but there was an annoying vibration that was most noticeable when we went to bed. It definitely took longer to fall asleep. Beds were comfortable, however. The BW breakfasts are one of our chief reasons for staying, but we were disappointed in the coffee.

Stayed here last year as we travel to our winter home. Stayed again, clean and quiet. Great breakfast. Place to have dinner across the street. Plenty of parking for our truck and trailer. Easy to find, just off the interstate. Great place to stay!!

Our stay was incident free, the staff was excellent in being helpful.They were always ready for anything we might need. Checking in was a breeze and so was checking out. They always had coffee and tea available all through the nite. The lobby was very welcoming.

My first impression of the decor was that it was a refreshing change of pace from the standard hotel fare. On closer inspection, I'm not entirely convinced that it all works well together; but, it's obvious that someone took a great deal of care in selecting the various components to put all the pieces together into a blended, coherent mixture. For the most part, I think they succeeded. Yet, in some instances, the selections border on the eclectic (the overstuffed chair looks like it might have come from granny's attic). I like that there are different pole switches for the bathroom light and the overhead fan (which looks like it hasn't been cleaned in quite a while). There are electrical outlets on opposite walls, either side of the bathroom sink. One of them is a GFI and one isn't (they should probably both be), and, keeping with the "Plus" designation, I would have chosen a different shower head. The bathroom is fine otherwise. The globe is missing on the entry light (Room 103). The dormitory-sized refrigerator seems a bit small as you have to bend over to access the small microwave sitting on top of it. I like having the small alcove, or "cubby" hole for the appliances, but I think I would have installed the counter-top lower and placed the microwave at a higher, more ergonomic, level. There is also a lot of wasted space above the counter (and below the sink in the bathroom). I don't think the drapes blend with the rest of the room. The number and location of electrical outlets for laptop and cell phone support is adequate and the furnishings overall seem to be very modern and fitting to the touch of the art deco reflective designs. I think the China red accents work well as there is just enough of it to effect the "accent" without appearing garish. The breakfast area is another interesting design and layout, but the high back chairs might be better suited for a cocktail lounge than a breakfast nook. But, I did like the high counter seating with electrical outlets for electronic support. The breakfast itself was standard fare. I couldn't stand the thought of one more waffle so I had the scrambled eggs with bacon and diced breakfast potatoes. Overall, I think this Best Western is worth of the "Plus" designation and, at this price point, it represents a good value. I give it a "thumbs up" as I would recommend it and I would stay here again.

Room was immaculate, everything was in good working order. Although it was a typical hotel breakfast in the morning, there was ample selection, everything was hot and fresh looking. Didn't use the pool area, but it looked very inviting. Cannot stress enough the hotel cleanliness. Would stay here again!!

The hotel was in a creepy area. Kind of run down and depressed part of town. However; the hotel was very nice and modern. My truck and car were safe and fine in the well lit parking lot. Breakfast was good. Room spacious and bed very comfortable. Will recommend staying there. Just don't get hung up with the way the neighborhood looks.

Very nice rooms, clean and comfortable with a nice decor. Helpful staff and hot breakfast with numerous options. It's a cute area and the residents are very courteous to travelers. I would stay here again!

My wife and I had a very pleasant stay at the Best Western Plus Gallup Inn & Suites after a wonderful visit to Petrified Forest National Park. Our room was spacious, clean, and attractive; all the staff members we encountered were professional and pleasant; access to this place from the highway was quite easy; parking was adequate and well-lit (and monitored by security cameras noticed by my wife); and the exercise facility was quite nice.

Comfortable, spacious room for an affordable rate. Hotel staff was helpful as I went to purchase an item and they told me they could offer a similar item complimentary since I was a guest. Room should have been vacuumed better prior to our being admitted, but we were too tired to complain. One elevator wasn't working well, it was reported and fixed within 20 minutes.

We enjoyed our stay. Room was clean and fresh but the bathroom seemed a little dark. I think they need higher intensity bulbs because seeing in mirror was quite dim. Access to I-44 is easy. Breakfast was very good. If they had better lighting I'd go 5 stars.

We stayed here Oct 30 2017 on the way to Phoenix. We liked the location, right off Interstate 40, exit 22, I think. The guy at check-in was gruff, but the woman who made our omelet for breakfast was friendly and helpful. There's no restaurant here, so we walked a short block north to the El Rancho Hotel for a good Mexican dinner. The El Rancho is worth a visit for all the memorabilia in the lobby and upstairs; many movie stars stayed there in the 1940s while filming Westerns nearby.

There are three things I look for in a hotel. 1. cleanliness 2. lots of outlets by or on the nightstand for electronics and 3. Quiet HVAC system. This place has all three, plus great customer service. This will be my go to place for Gallup NM for sure!!!

We stayed at this hotel last year, and put it on our list for future stays. Very clean appearance, friendly staff and close to freeway. This location is the midpoint of our annual trek to Missouri from California, and we look forward to a nice place to stay.

I have found the new BW Plus hotels to be cleaner and more comfortable. I think it's a great thing that they are re-vamping the franchise. Value is as good as it gets these days for this type of hotel. We would stay again.

Easy to access. Plenty of parking. Check in was fast. Had a king suite. Room was new and very spacious! Super quiet. Bed was comfortable and very clean. No issues. Overlooked the Rancho hotel across the street. Free breakfast was decent and convenient. Wifi access and speed was clunky.

The hotel it self is a great place to stay right off Route 66. The staff is professional and very helpful. They really know how to make you feel welcome. The pool and hot tub area is a welcome site after a long drive. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. This is a place I have stayed before and would stay again.

While there was no recognition for Elite status (points/bonus item) the hotel seems well-run and clean. A dripping tub faucet should have been dealt with, and running out of kleenex means staff was not thorough, but overall this was a peaceful night. For us it was just an overnight stop on a long drive home from CA.

Nice stay, right off interstate 40. Nice room, great breakfast, very reasonable price for the quality of the overnight stay. This is the second time I have stayed in this motel. It won't be the last. If you need supper, right across the street is the El Rancho restaurant.

We were travelling between Ontario and Arizona, and this was our fourth night on the road. This is a very nice hotel at a great price, and it had all of the things we want after a long day on the endless I-40. First thing is a good luggage cart to carry stuff we don't want to leave in the car. This one was the best, with sturdy hooks for hanging our various tote bags. Next is a spacious room with comfortable seating, and a good internet connection. Our room here had all of that. We like to have takeout dinner in the room, so we want a handy source of food. Here we got great taco salads from El Rancho Hotel restaurant across the street. Finally, a good hotel breakfast, which is rare, but we found it here. We make this trip every year, so we'll be back. This hotel is a keeper!

I would've gone with a 5* except for the parking. It was raining when we stopped for one (busy) night, and the parking lot is at the end of the building. We got to park what felt like a city block away (but obviously wasn't, of course); walking to the door and fighting the stupid magnetic lock (it was having a "bad hair" day) was NOT fun. But the location is good, the room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast pretty good and the front desk staff was helpful. We probably won't stay here again, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't give it a try.

This hotel is fairly new and right across the street from the famous El Rancho Hotel and Restaurant. Rooms were new and nicely decorated. The hot breakfast was excellent and the staff friendly and nice.

Really great value for the comfort and quality of the facility. Clean comfortable room, helpful staff, wonderful breakfast area and food. Happy to find such a great place at the end of our trip from Arizona and ready for our Petrified Forest day.

My hubby booked this for us as a convenient stop on our travel route. Upon arrival we were a bit concerned about the neighbourhood, but, thankfully, we had no problems. We got a room on the top floor (4th) with a view of the neighbourhood. I loved the colours in the room and I appreciated the colourful art work throughout the building and in our room. It was a very spacious and comfortable room. Unfortunately, the small refrigerator in the room did not have a freezer compartment. That is a very helpful item for travellers as we need to refreeze the pack for our cooler each night. After we settled in for the night, we noticed that the security catch on the inside of our door was broken. My husband called the front desk to ask for it to be repaired. We were told that they could not do that but did offer to move us to another room. As we were already unpacked we did not want that inconvenience so we declined the offer. Instead, my husband was able to jam the office chair under the door handle so we felt some ease before shutting off the lights. Wifi worked beautifully. Breakfast was good with an attractive and spacious eating area near the lobby. We did not use the indoor pool or exercise room although they looked very appealing. Lots of free parking at either end of the building.

The hotel is very clean, rooms very nice, and a great breakfast bar!! We were traveling to Albequerque NM for the balloon fiesta. Had a very restful sleep with no loudness at all. Will stay here again.

The front desk staff at this hotel when the manager isn't in, is AWFUL! The young man (Shane, I believe) who was working was unwilling to do anything to accommodate me. It was evident that it was a power issue.

Greeted with smiles, kindness and appreciation of guests. The front desk gentleman gave me options for places to eat. The room had beautiful decor and roomy living room space. Clean, comfy and relaxing!

While heading back to Nevada from a visit to Clovis, we stopped in Gallup to break up the drive. New Mexico has so much to offer and our selection of this property was a great choice. Easy to find and the property and staff were wonderful. Will be back in future trios. Thank you.

Hotel is very clean and organized, staff friendly and helpful. Rooms are very nice and décor is perfect and inviting. The grounds are kept very nice and building is very clean. I highly recommend this facility to anyone who just passing thru or just needs to get away.

The check in was easy. Nights stay was great. Room was very roomy and comfortable. The only problem I had was the tub mat was slipper when I got in the shower it moved which then I had a slight fall but nothing was broken. Would make the suggestion to either replace it or put up a notice for guest to be careful. Did advise the front desk, they did not seem concern about it, still would give the hotel a great review. The staff was very nice and helpful.

Staff was terrific. We appreciated all they did for us. Breakfast was likely best we've had at any Best Western. Gravy was very tasty. After traveling all day we were delighted to receive an upgrade and we truly had a restful night.

Brand new or major overhaul. Place is spotless and rooms are large and very clean. Micro, fridge and upper floor elevators. Staff very courteous and friendly. Walk across street to famous rancho resturant. Highly recommended here

Upon arriving, we had to wait a bit, but the staff was very cordial, apologized for the delay and checked us in quickly. The only problem was the keys did not work. Being on the 4th floor, we had to go back downstairs to get the keys to work. The staff again apologized, fixed the keys, and we were in. The room was very nice, had a comfortable bed, the breakfast in the morning was hot and tasted good. Overall, we were pleased with our stay.

New, clean, and smoke free. Easy to find from Interstate. Found staff to be very friendly and helpful. Beautifully decorated and comfortable beds, quiet rooms. Excellent breakfast buffet. Would definitely stay here again.

This hotel was very clean, room was large and the location was close to a few excellent restaurants for dinner. Our room overlooked the mountains and the famous hotel in Gallup. Breakfast was great and check out was easy.

My husband chose this hotel since it was new. We had been traveling about 12 hours and were exhausted. The staff recommended a local café for a meal which was excellent. The room was very nice and makes me want to stay at another Best Western in the future.
