Bed was so comfortable .. In bathroom found bugs and two huge wolf siders cleanliness of the room not clean the bed wasn't made properly looked like someone threw on the sheets but it was very comfortable ... The movie channels weren't working kept saying no signal disappointed for the price i paid night clerk was a lady not very nice either
The clerk at the front desk was very welcoming. Room was a little dated, but clean and had all of the amenities I needed. The only negative was the little coffee maker. Even though I only filled my cup half full with water, the coffee was still extremely weak. The continental. breakfast was a cut above motels of this type: they had a fresh waffle machine, scrambled eggs and the fixings, as well as pastries, yogurt, fruit, and decent coffee. I sprinkled some of their sliced almonds on top of my waffle batter, and the result was quite good.
We choose this place because we needed a hotel to stay at that we knew had truck park near Port Hueneme. Although they don't actually have truck parking...we park on the side street and had to walk a bit to the hotel. Which was fine. I feel like best western tried to crew me over on this trip. On the best western website it stated one night started at 140. But when I talked to the clerk he was able to get it down to 124 that night. I'm thankful of. Unfortunately the clerk did not recognize that we were a rewards members and didnt give us anything like best western do. Most just give you free water. The room was nice and clean very spacious for just one queen bed. Bed was comfortable. Shower was nice. Water pressure was good with hot water. Breakfast was from 6-9am. They hot waffels...oatmeal..yogurt. yummy hot food like eggs.. bacon...sausage and potatoes it was a nice stay
1. Room is too dark! 2. Not enough outlets provided to accommodate the needs of today; phone, Apple Watch, Power Bank, tablet, shaver, curling iron, iron, etc. Need an outlet on the right side of the bathroom vanity. 3. Please quit putting the coffee on the bathroom vanity counter!! Horrible! 4. Upon entering room, door was open (unlocked & open about an inch) as was witnessed by a guest in the room next door. 5. TV: no main news stations or music stations, no popular streaming of shows (Netflix, Peacock, Hulu, YouTube, etc.) In this advanced time of social media and news being broadcasted in real time, BW is late to the party. 6. Linens are substandard, they are rough & itchy. 7. Not enough towels. 8. Security handle in the bathtub is broken.
Staff is always friendly, rooms are always clean. Breakfast has many varieties, and the beds are the most comfortable beds ever.
The room is so dark, lighting is dismal. Very difficult to apply makeup. Hair dryer needs to be replaced; basically only puts out heat (singed my hair). It does not blow any significant air. Women need a decent hair dryer. Need to add a magnifying mirror; most hotels have these. It would be easy to update the room! The orange trees are in horrible shape! Orange trees are a California favorite, get a landscaper to trim/prune the trees. Rats love it when the trees drop their fruit. Maintain these beautiful trees. We have family that lives just a mile from you, so we stay often! New brewery next door! Fillmore is growing fast, you're the only hotel in town. You're going to need to be relevant to stay in business.
Electrical outlets and plumbing fixtures are worn out, and our phone chargers wouldn't stay connected. We were offered clean towels for each of our three day stay but they never showed up, even though the desk verified the request.
Last minute stay. Place was clean and decent. Breakfast was okay--eggs, cereal, pastries. Morning staff were all nice and polite. Plenty of parking. There was a pool that looked clean but we had no time to enjoy. Shampoo and conditioner on shower wall to use.
Absolutely wonderful guest services! Was easy to check in, accommodations were met and because I'm traveling for work this felt like a home away from home! I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to or through the Fillmore, Ca area!
The entire staff were friendly and inviting. My stay was comfortable. The room was clean, and all the appliances were operational. This was the first time the iron actually worked! I've been in a lot of hotels. This was the first one where the iron worked. Any true traveler knows. I booked this place for the rest of the month. Alex and staff, you're the best.
La Posada Motel was ok, nothing special. There seems to be enough parking space and the room is very big although a bit old-fashioned. The bathroom seems new, although it doesn't make sense for the coffee machine to be next to the sink inside the bathroom. Another minor thing we noticed is that there is some noise coming from the fridge.
Completely excellent experience, from the ample parking & clean comfy room, to helpful staff. Breakfast bar was a fresh & delish surprise! Pleasant grounds, cheerful staff, great beds & pillows. Super!
I think the title says it all. This town was a very quite sleepy town but despite it's boom it has maintained it's small town vibe. This BW is a prime example of that. I noticed our family slept like rocks because we woke up a lot later than planned. I guess we needed the rest. Thank you!
It's very comfortable and clean and the breakfast is good and the price I's affordable I enjoy bringing my kids to the pool is always clean the front desk is nice and very helpful makes getting and booking a room easy
The staff is always very pleasant to deal with and the rooms and breakfast are fantastic. Our work schedule doesn't always allow us to plan very far ahead and La Pasada does everything they can to accommodate us on short notice. THANK YOU!!
I have had the WORST experience with customer service over my stay at this hotel. I was charged the full amount TWICE when I checked in. I finally have the charges fall off , only to be charged the incorrect amount when I checked out. When I called and talked to the front desk , she said " oh okay let me refund the amount" ... nope she charged my card AGAIN! When I said " you charged me again !!??" she said they are having problems with their " new " POS system and basically oops. The money is still missing from my account and am still in shock at the poor customer service. I will NEVER stay at a Best Western or affiliate again. beware.
This was my first time traveling this way and I decided to stay here and use my rewards points. I was afraid at first because my last stay at a remote hotel was a disaster. Well this was great! It was easy to find and the staff was very friendly even with their computer systems down upon my check in. They took in stride and got me checked in right away. Will stay again when I come this way!
Prompt attention Clean I enjoyed the coffee, So nice to stop at the front to enjoy a pastry, a waffle, or pancakes. Handicap access to our room, and the size of the bathroom was also excellent for our needs. Room #53, was clean, clean, clean! I was so comfortable there
I think it's hard to find employees right now, but the walkway outside our room had a large sticky stain from something in the trash, it was still there in the morning. Also takeout containers of food, and cigarette butts in the parking lot. Someone was living in the room next to ours. There were people working on their cars . I know times are tough, but we paid 170-does not seem worth it.
This place was a hidden treasure and closer to the beach than I'd thought. The room was comfortable and clean. A very enjoyable time away. They also provided a takeaway continental breakfast with good options.
Room had heavy and nasty cigarette odor! When asked to be moved to another room they had no rooms available and only sent housekeeping to spray the room with odor eliminator. I would assume that housekeeping or someone from management would report and notice that due to the smell the room wouldn't be bookable until it was properly cleaned and odor eliminated.
Celebrating Thanksgivings with friend in Fillmore and stayed at the motel... always a good experience! Would recommend the motel to anyone staying in Fillmore. Breakfast was very nice. Lots of nice little places to eat in Fillmore. Be sure to the visit the downtown area.
This is the best hotel in Fillmore, Very nice personal, Clean and well maintained, Centrally located along highway 126. Great pool that is ADA compliant with a personal lift. There is a complimentary continental breakfast available for all guest
The hotel location is not well selected, but the service was top. We had to recognise traffic noise and loud construction treatments. The check-in and check-out was smooth and fast. The remarks on local restaurants were helpful. Breakfast was reasonable. Pool appreciated. Parking direct in front of the rooms is very convenient.
An ok experience, good enough for the price. There was a "noise" issue and Patrick was great and very helpful in moving me to another room. I'd give it 4 stars, but the 4th star says it's "very good". There should be a "good" rating, instead of it going from average to very good.
After a horrible experience in a Sure Stay I was continuing on my road trip. I needed a room on a Saturday night with no reservation. I could not get an internet connection to make a reservation via my BW Rewards account online. So, I called directly and the Duty Desk Clerk assisted me in getting a room. She was great! I got a room, my rewards and my discount as a BW Rewards Member. Plus extra bonus points for staying at the La Posada. Double great! Very nice, very clean and convenient to all local amenities. Stop in and enjoy the La Posada.
Cant complain except the lock on the pool was broken so had to call front dest every time i want a swim. The bed was comfy and the air was awesome. I liked the wifi speed. It didn't give me any problems concerning my work is on a labtop and phone.
I so appreciated how clean and accommodating my room was. Also clear effort for Covid protocol was made. Front desk staff, breakfast staff and cleaning staff were all very kind and went above and beyond in service.
I was trying to return home after a Draft test with my Bernese Mountain Dogs in Mesa AZ. A significant storm came in and the Grapevine area of I5 was closed! I pulled off the freeway and saw the Best Western in Fillmore. They treated me fairy and kindly. I felt safe
Worst motel Ever . Bad room homeless in rooms gang members shower didn't work room was not clean. I had to beg for fresh towels. Shower gel empty and no one changed the sheets. Trash never changed so please for your safety don't stay
Great nights sleep no disturbance at all fast friendly welcoming service. Fantastic! Breakfast was still being offered. House Keeping was great stayed on top of everything daily. Was all in general a outstanding stay each time i stayed there in the past 4 months would be 2 weeks out of each of the past 4 months!! I love it!
very clean large room with a very comfortable bed ,friendly check in staff and easy check out, lots of breakfast choices including waffle maker, cold pool ,warm hot tub, great location off of main highway.
If you are handicapped, expect to be uncomfortable here. Some things are ok...shower, lighting in bathroom, but others are not. No writing height table. Outlets not accessible for multiple charging, no bedside table or shelf. I used the ironing board.
The rooms were clean and comfy. The staff was friendly and professional. We enjoyed out stay and will definitely stay here the next time we are in the area. Great price and quality accomodations here A+
I always enjoy staying at Best Western or Best Western Plus regardless of what city i am in. Staff is always kind and very helpful, parking lots are clean and breakfast is satisfying. I encourage people to sign up for rewards and mobile app. it is very convienant. Just remember the rate shown on the website does not include the tax.
I think this was the only hotel in town, so I highly recommend getting a room here if you're going to do any activities at the railroad down the street. Clean rooms free breakfast and quiet property. I brought my amazing daughter who is very loud and they were understanding and found us a room where she would not disturb other guests and can just be a kid. Caring and understanding staff.
perfect in the middle of town close to my sons place, and near to all the store and eating places. the room we stayed in is far enough away from the highway. And the room that we stayed in love it room 29 going to be asking for that room every time we stay. at least 3 time a year we are there
Nice hotel room, microwave, large tv, refridge, simple a/c and heat unit (unlike complicated Carrier unit that didn't work on the first night of my stay at another hotel) - complimentary breakfast, free wifi - only item I missed was a USB port to charge my phone, as I again forgot my charger to plug into the wall. Jacuzzi also -
We were evacuated due to the Tick Fire and Best Western in Fillmore was very accommodating. They honored my husband's service by giving us a military discount. And told us we wouldn't have to change rooms if we needed to stay another night (which we did) Thank you Patrick for excellent customer service, a respectful attitude and a great restaurant referral!
online rates vs office rates fluctuation is a big difference , the rate was almost a 40.00 difference and the office personal would not match my online booking offer which was thru the best western application. Next time i stay i'm going to confirm that the rate i get on the app is the same rate i'll be offered once i check in.
Needless to say this trip was very emotional, so the last thing we needed was to deal with a bad experience at the hotel. However our family was very happy with the reception, service and cleanliness of the rooms we booked. Thank you so much for the knowledge that our roons were ready, clean and staff was available to assist us when needed.
I was very happy with our stay! I drove away thinking we would definitely stay there again. Neat and clean inside the rooms. Very happy with their friendly staff and breakfast. It was not hot grill but your basics like; make your own waffles, yogurts, muffins, burritos and sausage, egg croissants. Plenty of coffees and juices.
We stayed one night at this motel for our son's graduation at St. Thomas Aquinas College (MODG Class of 2019). Although this is a motel, it was safe and well lite at night. Our room was big (2 Queens) and had a table w/ 2 chairs. In addition, it also had a little desk with an office chair. We were surprised to see a mini-refrigerator and a microwave. It is not the most updated hotel/motel, but it was clean and the staff was excellent! We were surprised that the continental breakfast included things like waffles (with a waffle maker) and Jimmy Dean microwavable breakfast sandwiches. The location was great too. There are several places to eat (iHop, Yanni's etc..) and shop (Von's, Rite Aid, and a coin-op laundry). We will be back next year for our daughter's graduation! My parents also booked a room at the same time we did and their handicap room was roomy and nice. They liked the motel also and would also return to it next year! This motel has tons of beautiful rose bushes and other nice plantings outside. It was a very comfortable, clean, and quite stay.
Always a great experience here. The service and room was clean and presentable. The bathroom was huge and had everything I needed to enjoy my stay. I have stayed 6times in the past month and each time is just like the first .
Very friendly staff. Breakfast was ok, but limited. Room very clean. Except for it smelled like dog pee. Very unfortunate people don't take better care of their pet as it is nice to have a place that accommodates pets. Well kept properly on the outside. Very pretty roses. This is a nice place to stay.
Nothing fancy but a clean, comfortable motel for an overnight stop in Fillmore. Friendly staff, easy parking, ample bathroom amenities. Continental breakfast more than we expected - waffles, bagels, cold and hot cereals, yogurt, granola, fresh fruit, Danish. More than descent Farmers Bros coffee. Would not hesitate to stay again. Good value in an area with minimal lodging options.
You get a lot more for your money, clean rooms well lit parking . Really nice guests relations You have a great selection of breakfast items. Self service waffle station. Plenty of eating restaurants in area.
My friends and I drove up from San Diego to Santa Barbara so I could conduct some buisness up there but it was a little out of our price range to stay up there over night, so we picked a destination that was no only cheaper, but much closer to the I-5 in the long run which made it more convenient to getting home quicker the next day. I would stay here again and had a good experience.
We've never been to Fillmore before. I was looking for a place to stay on the central coast that wasn't a cheap motel and that wasn't going to break the bank. This place was perfect. We went to Magic Mountain one day and drove to Santa Barbara the next. It was very clean. The staff was very friendly. It was conveniently located to lots of food, gas and grocery. Breakfast was a huge bonus. Perfect for myself and my three kids. The double beds were a little small for two of us but I think they have a two Queen option.
I have stayed at this hotel several times in the past year - about once a month. This visit was worse than usual as the room was over charged, the wake-up call didn't come and the breakfast offerings were picked over by 7AM. I have stayed here before and there were no problems. I will probably stay here again and use my phone as an alarm clock, pack food I can eat, and double check the room charge.
Fillmore is a small farming town with not many options for hotels. We were pleasantly surprised upon check in, the rooms were clean, smelled fresh, nice lobby. We were there for a dog show April 7/8/9, many dogs were there. We quickly realized no potty areas, no poop bags, no provisions for pets at all. Then on Saturday night after the show, I found a crack pipe stuffed in the toilet paper roll in the bathroom. I was going to add the new roll to the holder and it fell out on the floor, breaking. I carefully cleaned it off the floor, picking up all the glass with wet toilet paper. I called the front desk, they were no help, I went down to the lobby the next morning, the receptionist took pictures of the pipe in the trash can as did I. I told her I expected the Manager to call me, she made sure they had my info. She also told me they would mark the last guest in that room DO NOT RENT. It's been two weeks, never received a call, a letter, an email....NOTHING. I WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN...IF this is how this is handled by Best Western. Completely disappointed in thier customer service.
Decided to stay in Fillmore as my daughter had event at Rancho Camulos. Was unsure what to expect. Yes hotel is a bit older and parts of room were dated. But overall room was clean, staff was friendly, and breakfast offered was sufficient. Would definitely stay here again if in area.
Beautiful hotel older but carefully maintained and updated by The Kims who have owned La Posada for 40 years. The Kims and their very friendly helpful staff go out of their way to make sure we have everything we need to enjoy our stay. We can bring our 2 kitties with us so it's really perfect. Don't miss this little gem?
The bed was firm and supportive for those with medical issues. The breakfast was really nice with waffles, fruit, coffee, and nice packaged danish, packaged egg sausage sandwich , packaged breakfast burritos, packaged corn dog and any other things like yogurt, toast and cream cheese and jam and juice and packaged milk for kids. Also almond milk for those with milk sensitivity. And sugar free syrup and cereal. Hot tub and pool outside relaxing.
Location is good, staff is friendly and helpful, beds are firm but comfy. There is a descent complimentary breakfast as well as a nice pool and spa. Would recommend this place to anyone staying in Ventura County.
my husband and I with other family members stayed at this hotel for a wedding. The venue was about 5 minutes away. Other people at the wedding were also staying at the hotel. Very clean close to places to eat gas stations and other stores. Conveniet location.
We booked this room through Expedia and found it was a little pricey for the room we stayed in. We were met with a very friendly gentleman and young lady who were very accommodating. We needed a main floor room rather than the second floor they originally had us booked into. There is no elevator at this property and with bad knees my wife would have been unable to climb the stairs. The room was dated and had a stale smell but was clean and a very comfy bed. The rooms all face the highway and along with other guests talking outside our room, tended to be very noisy and loud.
We my wife and I have stayed in this particular hotel every year in September for the past 4 years and management has made many updates and improvements to hotel ... only complaint is one year we had no power and management offered mini flashlight to get around in room we traveled 200 hundred miles and not informed of issue with hotel and not givin a discount for inconvenience also this is only hotel in Fillmore ca. Other than that' great hotel
Very hel;pful frint desk gal. Steered me to the place for mexican food in Fillmore, El Pescador! Clean room, good TV and air conditioning. Easy to find off the 126. Close to Piru Lake and other recreation areas.
We were tired and were fortunate to get their last room, a room for handicapped which had a huge walk in shower but the room was clean and attractive with a very nice complimentary breakfast. The young lady behind the desk was most helpful in recommending a place for dinner.
Always have a great experience here. The prices are fair and e staff always does a great job. Have been here a few times already and will continue to come here whenever I need a hotel in Fillmore. The breakfast includes nice snacks too!
beds were hard and no real place to park RV's and no real items for diabetics at breakfast, for people using canes due to fall risk make sure you get ground floor no elevators located here, but the staff was very friendly and the rooms are very clean.
I was so lucky when I went to Los Angeles for my author signing to stay in so many wonderful places. Of course, I do try to thoroughly do my homework and check reviews. They help so much, which is why I feel a duty to write my own. After dropping my friend off at the airport and leaving our event hotel, I headed for the Best Western. I'd planned to stay an extra day since I can never get enough of the coasters at Six Flags and was unsure when I'd be back (I live in Ontario, Canada). The grounds were well lit and safe. They were also very attractive and clean with roses lining the front of the property and chairs outside the rooms in case people wanted to sit outdoors. I felt safe here the entire time. Upon check in I felt well cared for. The clerk understood my need for a first-floor room and was happy to accommodate. I came back to tell him there was no coffee in my room for the maker and he gave me extra pods. He also gave me extra when I returned from the park the next night. Unloading the car was so easy, just a few steps with all the boxes of books and luggage. The bed was very comfortable and the selection of tv channels was good (tv sleeper here!) The room was very clean, including the bathroom and fridge. Lots of dresser space and a microwave, ironing board and iron, coffee maker. I went down to the pool and hot tub. The jets weren't going in the hot tub and there was a small child. He seemed very well behaved but I'd just gotten tattoos on my back and shoulder and couldn't take the chance of getting splashed with water (my artist said that is a big no-no). The area was clean though and gated. A convenience store is right next door and there is a Starbucks across the way and an IHOP down the road along with several other places to shop and eat. Six Flags is only a thirty minute drive. Comfy, clean, convenient and a clerk who cares about guests. I would definitely stay here again! Also, as a bonus, the wifi was exceptional.
Pulled in after 8 hour trip from Yosemite. Desk person was helpful and friendly. Large group of ladies traveling by bus from Tennessee. Fun to see and hear their accents at both dinner at IHOP and then again at our shared breakfast in the hotel lobby. Meeting some of them made our day.
We stayed here one night on our way to Santa Monica Pier. The owners were quite friendly. A tour bus came just before us and had the strangest requests. Many couldn't have been more than 60 years old and yet wanted help with their luggage (even the ones on the first floor) Strange to see abled body men standing there outside their rooms waiting for the 70+ manager come with their suitcase instead of grabbing it themselves, but the old guy did it. He gets 5 stars from me for customer service. The place was comfortable and clean and a fantastic deal since it's only one hour out of Los Angeles. I totally recommend it.
Pizza down the street was excellent!! Perfect stopping point for our Long Beach trip. Tired of driving, didn't want to tackle LA traffic during rush hour. Friendly staff and plenty of services too. Would definitely stay there again.
I got a decent room for the price I paid. The staff were kind and professional. The only complaint I have is that the room was non-smoking but it did smelled a little bit. The sheets were clean and decent.
This is a decent hotel along the 126 highway between Castaic (I-5) and Ventura (101). Clean and comfortable spacious rooms. Lighting was a little dim in the dressing area, but otherwise no complaints on the. Room. Right on the hwy, but the wing we were in was quite a ways back from the road. We were not bothered by the noise level. Front desk was very courteous and helpful. Didn't do the breakfast because we were meeting friends for breakfast, so can't speak to that. Looks like an enhanced continental breakfast from observation with waffles and so forth.
Room was clean and not outdated like expected, and all the staff we encountered were nice and pleasant. Continental breakfast included. For being the only motel in Fillmore it was great. Would not hesitate to stay here again.
We had a very good experience at this hotel, the rooms were clean and everything was working. The breakfast was very good and kids liked it. The staff was very helpful. We wanted to go to Universal studio and stay close to Santa Barbara so this worked out fine for us.
We have stayed here in the past but it's been awhile. We liked it then and had forgot about how much we had enjoyed this hotel. Staff and Management couldn't be nicer! To get a clean and friendly environment It was great!
It was a wonderful vacation for my daughter and I. The hotel view was wonderful. The beds where comfy. The people where nice. It was easy to reserve the hotel online and when I got there they had the key card waiting and all paperwork filled out all I needed was my license credit card and my plate number for my truck. We loved it!! Thank you!
Room was nice and clean. Staff was friendly. A lot of variety in their breakfast. The room had a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker, as well as a ironing board and iron. Quick access to freeway and food.
We've stayed at this motel many times. The staff is always courteous, friendly and professional. This is not a luxury motel, but is very clean and a pleasant place to stay. We'll continue to return each time we are in town.
All was well at the Best Western in Fillmore. I stayed two nights in Spring. There was a clean, functional room. Everything worked well. The TV had HBO! I would recommend this hotel hands down. It really could not have been better.
Great experience. The staff was very good, friendly and efficient. The fellow who came to see if he could fix our wifi was through and did not leave till it was fixed. The rooms were clean and cozy. We will recommend this place to our friends
Good Hotel, owner are friendly, Breakfast is simple but good. for a main street location it is really quite quiet. Good overnight or beach hotel if you want to travel say 20 min to Ventura. I stay here when I am in town for work and other times too.
VERY pleased with our room, every attention to detail for the traveler and room with beautiful appointments and comfortable beds! Would highly recommend this great property. It was nice & quiet and the employees very friendly.
Here for 4 day Christmas break and visiting family in Valencia. This is a wonderful place to stay. Older style motel but maintained exceptionally well with attention to every detail. Owners have been her since 1978 and one of the sweet office ladies 10years. The room is spotless, fresh nice white linens and very comfy beds and pillows. Breakfast selection is good and all fresh individually wrapped bakery items. Waffles are available with several toppings, yogurt and hard boiled eggs. Breakfast area and lobby all pristine. We usually stay in Stevenson Ranch for the Christmas visit but the 15 mile drive to this quiet wonderful hotel saved us about 40% on our usual bill. It's very quiet and peaceful here and we will be back for sure . It's only about 15 miles from the beach too so location is perfect. This hotel rates better than 5 star!
This hotel has a lot of issues for the price they charge. Wi-Fi, phone and TV all had issues during our stay. The first room we were in had flys all over the room. After moving to a new room we found the closet door was missing. It is also very close to highway 126 so it can be noisy. The only positive is the breakfast which has a good variety of options.
I had booked the room through a website but when we got to the hotel we realize that we needed a first-floor room for my mother. The front desk person went above and beyond to rework our reservation in order to get us a room on the first floor. He was patient and very understanding and it was a very busy night but he kept his calm and helped everybody with a great attitude!! I would highly recommend this hotel!!!
This was a beautiful hotel. Everything was very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and we will stay again when visiting family in the area. They even had comfy patio chairs out front to relax and catch the breeze. The breakfast was very good with lots of choices.
the room was great. the bed was very comfortable. THE WAFFLES HAS A BW FOR BEST WESTERN ON THEM. Not only did the waffles look great, but they tasted wonderful. It only took 2:30 to cook that awesome waffle, put some butter and syrup on it too.
Excellent value for the price. Room was clean and larger than expected. A/C was loud enough to provide white noise, but not too loud. Shower water pressure was sufficient (some hotels have too little water pressure for a comfortable shower). Innkeeper and continental breakfast staff were attentive and helpful.
Nice, clean, and well-kept older hotel. Less than 1/2 the price of many others in Ventura County. The desk staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast included: waffle maker, syrup, chocolate chips, cereal, coffee, tea, juice, milk, hard-boiled eggs, bagels/cream cheese, Greek yogurt, regular yogurt, pastries, toast/jam/butter, fresh fruit, and breakfast burritos. Nice flat screen t.v. Our cable had been disconnected and desk clerk came up immediately and fixed it. Room had fridge and microwave. Nice pool. We stayed here so hubby could watch the Dallas Cowboys practice in Oxnard. Not terribly close, but such a better price!
Staff is very friendly. Our room was very clean, bed was comfortable and loved that it had a fridge and microwave. My daughter and I also liked that it was walking distance to shopping and restaurants. If we are ever near Fillmore again, we will stay here at La Posada.
This hotel was much less expensive than the other hotels in nearby cities, and was still a nice place to stay. Room was clean and nicely sized, bathroom was nice and clean as well. Check in and check out was really fast and simple.
This is an older, two level, motel-style Best Western located right on Hwy. 126. It's location is very plain as it has little landscaping, no trees to speak of, and its front is mostly parking lot. It allows dogs and cats, but there's little room for them to be walked on the property. There is also a decent sized, outdoor pool that got a fair amount of use during the day. There was no elevator to the 2nd floor rooms. Our ground-floor room was convenient to our car, had an easy-to-use door lock, and a wall-mounted HVAC unit that worked well in the 90-100 F heat. The bathroom was small, but all the plumbing worked fine and it even had a dual-flush toilet (i.e. high/low volume flushes) which I'm surprised you don't see in more "green" hotels. The Queen-size bed was comfortable and had plenty of pillows. The furniture was basic (table, couple chairs, small desk, etc.) and the room had a 36" flat-screen TV. There were extra power jacks located on top of the dresser and near the phone to plug in devices. Housekeeping was spotty during our stay. One day they seemed to forget our room entirely - although I later saw one of the owners out cleaning rooms so they must have been short-staffed. (I just walked over to the open laundry room, late in the afternoon, dropped off our used towels, and picked up new ones myself.) The lobby was typically manned by a Korean couple that ran the place and included a small breakfast nook with 4 tables and a wall-mounted TV. The breakfast was OK as they had the basic coffee, juice, cereals (single-serving boxes), oatmeal packets, fruit, and Danish. The waffle-maker was popular and they also had hard-boiled eggs and pre-made breakfast sandwiches to be micro-waved. During breakfast, one of the owners would pull double-duty manning the front desk and restocking the breakfast food. Given the compact space allotted for breakfast, I was surprised it didn't get more crowded than it was (although I don't believe the hotel was full during our stay). There were not any free newspapers that I could see, a minimal selection of tourist pamphlets, and the owners' English was somewhat broken, so you had to figure out your own directions. Fillmore is not large, however, and most everything is right on Hwy. 126, so you won't get lost. Overall, it's probably one of the better hotel/motels available in Fillmore, but it's strictly an average facility as far as Best Westerns go. You're about 15 miles from Magic Mountain and 12 miles from Ventura, so Fillmore's a decent stopping off point and less crowded than those areas.
Well kept up property with friendly staff. Room 44 was in very good condition and very clean when we arrived. Only small issue was shampoo dispenser was either near empty or clogged. Breakfast was OK, but the only thing we partook of was a cup of coffee. Looked like they had an OK selection for breakfast.
Stayed here for 2 nights between Ventura and Magic Mountain. Best place to stay in the area that we could tell. Overall a very pleasant stay; only issues were slow draining shower and close to the street. Con breakfast better than most, pleasant staff and clean rooms.
The owner works really hard to make everything presentable, from the continental breakfast (he was making waffles to help speed service up) to making sure all your needs were being met. Location was close to town & stores. Has area flavor w/orange trees on premises.
The front desk staff at check in were very nice, although almost impossible to understand the gentleman at check out. The bed was comfortable and good water pressure in the shower. The bad part was the a/c ran constantly, instead of cycling due to temperature and was noisy. I was traveling with my dog and there was no potty area and my female had a hard time finding a place to potty. I wouldn't choose this property again if I'm traveling with my dog.
Although many of us came to Fillmore with trailers for our Crosley cars, the management was great helping us arrange parking. The rooms were clean, lots of clean, fluffy towels, and tasty breakfast. They were quick to keep the supplies topped up and tidy. I would recommend this motel to anyone.
Don't bother, the primary desk clerk does not read English, will hand you the check-in card of another guest (3 times with us) will tell you he only has smoking rooms when that is not true. Cancelled our 2nd day and went to another motel
I was very happy with this hotel. The price was reasonable and the room was very clean. It had a refrigerator and a microwave and good internet. I don't need much more than that. I will stay here again without question if I need a hotel in this area.
Good comfortable beds. good strong WiFi, big continental breakfast was good. Coffee was good. I would recommend this hotel. The location was good near a lot of restaurants and gas stations and freeway.
I was pleasantly surprised with my whole stay at this motel. Helpful staff, clean rooms and really quiet! The young man who checked us in even researched the address location for competition the next day. He came to our room with a print our from Google maps!
Upon check-in I was not offered help with bags which was ok because I didn't need any but that would have been nice. I was also not told the hours of the continental breakfast so when I went over to grab some breakfast in the morning I was told it ended at 9:30am. Knowing the time breakfast ends would have been helpful. I also thought since it's just muffins and such that the man behind the counter could have offered me one but he didn't.
Wonderful stay...lovely Korean couple runs the hotel...very clean, comfortable bed, great Wifi connection bed, a concerned and helpful staff, nice grounds with Orange trees loaded with oranges (I swiped one!), and conveniently located...will go out of my way to stay there in the future!
The couple that run this place are so accommodating and pleasant to deal with. No matter what we need they go out of there way to make it happen. Beds are comfortable, rooms are spacious, and the breakfast is pretty good. If you have an issue with the Wifi just ask... all they have to do is reset it and it worked like a champ.
The room was impeccably clean and updated. We had a corner room which was very spacious. It had a large refrigerator and microwave. There was a substantial, tasty free breakfast. It was very quiet and peaceful. The owners are very courteous and efficient. The three of us had a very pleasant stay.
Great hotel, amenable staff, pool was refreshing and well maintained. Breakfast was included, staff made sure that fresh fruit, breakfast foods and pastries were stocked. Perfect stay in a small town! This was our 2nd stay. Family stays there yearly.
My room was in the corner very spacious, quiet, my 3 yr old ran around, no complaints, very relaxing, must advertise all eateries in book. Very clean, lots of orange trees. next time hope to use the pool.
Great hotel for the money. Brekky was included & beds were super comfy. We wwere a family of four & queen size beds and a large room really helped. Bathroom was a little small, but no real bother. Would stay here again. Turns out to be a nice little town
First off I am so happy that my request for the 1st floor was granted. Was a little turned off when I first arrived at my room because the window was left open and the door seemed a little ajar but everything seemed fine otherwise. Beds were comfortable. The mini fridge also had a mini freezer in it. Microwave in the room worked just fine. Ample space to move around in. Did not use the wifi so unsure how well it works. The breakfast assortment in the morning was wonderful. Muffins, waffles, bagels, pancake sausage on a stick, breakfast croissants, milk cartons, orange and apple juice cartons, Activa Yogurt, Bananas, Apples, etc. Beautiful mountain scenery and orchards nearby the hotel.
The staff is very hard to understand. Also, we had a complaint against us for noise. My kids had been up for 5 minutes (7:30 am) and were getting dressed when the staff came to tell us we were too loud. If a 40 pound child cannot walk to the bathroom without disturbing the downstairs neighbor then the sound barrier needs to be improved. If there was another option in Fillmore, we would try that hotel.
Hotel was nice and clean. Did not smell of cigarette smoke. Traffic on near by highway was a bit irritating at night. AC was loud (as they all seem to be). Couldn't get WiFi to work. Breakfast was sparse. Staff was friendly.
Have stayed here many times. I am never disappointed. Clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. The staff is always friendly, very helpful and always accommodating. I strongly recommend this hotel. You will not be dissapointed.
Clean and large rooms. Excellent bed. In the middle of town. OK breakfast. Nice staff. We would stay here again. We stayed here to get a little closer to our next destination--and it was also cheaper than staying another day in Santa Barbara.
Found the room to be stained, plaster repairs in evidence, tv had problems, rugs were very stained. The internet was a problem getting on - then it was ok for a while then more problems getting back on. Breakfast - skip it.
Love staying at best westerns always clean. In my experience there's only been one hotel that had a bad experience. But this at the Posada was great. It also had orange trees and chili trees in the outside and plenty of room on the balconies how ever they are not private but each room has an extra chair by the door (outside) so you can enjoy a nice cup of coffee. Breakfast was based on cereal, posada chimischangas, activia yogurt, orange juice, milk, sausage corn dogs, fresh fruit, coffee and pastries.
We have stayed at the BW Fillmore, CA location a few times in the past. Although it is the only hotel in town, we actualy perfer it. Alway very clean and the beds are really comfortable. Staff is extremely friendly and accomodating to our specific room request. Enjoyed our stay very much.
