Hospitality Esperance, SureStay Collection by Best Western

No smoke detector alarm in room, housing is there but it was incomplete. I was advised that this was taken down as it was setting off other alarms in the complex. Black mould on window and window ledges in room. Housekeeping failed to collect used towels left on bathroom floor and had to collect fresh towels from reception. I raised these issues with the hotel in an email and did not receive any response. Rooms walls thin, could hear other guests using toilet in room above. Wifi incredibly slow, streaming services consistently dropped out. Paint peeling near airconditioner in room and visible cracks in walls. No cooking facilities in room i.e. a microwave, does contain small bar fridge and mini kettle and toaster. A can of beer was missing from mini bar after housekeeping made up room and had to clarify with reception that I had not taken this, reception advised it was listed as not being in the room at all but that I hadn't been charged for this. Reception staff friendly, bed comfortable. Guest laundry on site, pool facilities closed for winter. Walking distance to shops and restaurants.

We had forgotten to empty one of the drawers in our room when we checked out in a hurry because of the cyclone warning that day between Esperance and Perth that had caused heavy rain and winds. I emailed the Hotel later to check whether we had forgotten our clothes in the drawers. Lacie from the Hospitality Esperance every time responded promptly during our exchange of emails. She gave me an estimate of shipping it to an address in Sydney and after receiving the shipping expenses herself personally went to Australia Post to mail the two packages. She definitely went beyond her call of duty for which I am grateful and appreciative of her help

WORST MOTEL IN 2 MONTH TRIP. Simon manager was scruffy, condescending and unprofessional. Property very old and attempts at Reno's tacky and poor. Rooms very noisy with trashy drug and alcohol fuelled neighbours. Horrible bathroom and uncomfortable beds, yellow stained pillows

We had a two night stay here having crossed the Nullarbor from Victoria. The outstanding thing about this place was the staff… All so helpful, polite and seem to be happy in the job. The rooms are more than adequate and clean. Great location overlooking the bay..

Spent 5 nights here and it was a great base to explore all the exquisite beaches around . Hotel is basic but fine . We had a very nice view from our room and would have loved a balcony - although it's always so windy I don't know we could have used it !! Continental breakfast is included and was perfect for what we wanted every morning, and it was great that it finished at 9 am so we always set off early to the national park to maximise our days . Staff helpful and free laundry was a good bonus .

A beach front accomodation with amazing views. Secure complex with parking. Hotel room is nice , clean and comfortable with ample space. Hotel staffs are great and supportive. The hotel has a restaurant which has great foods and drinks. Hotel provides free continental breakfast with the stay. Location is in the centre of the city and everything in walking distance.All in all , a great place for the holiday.

Booked ten days here as it was the only available choice. Room was clean and big enough. Breakfast is continental and fine; other options available which we didn't try. As the time of year it was incredibly busy and the staff were run ragged but coped well. Mixed reviews with service- housekeeping was varied with having to request amenities, bed not made on one occasion, no late checkout despite the $3.5k spent, and ended up offering to change our own sheets and make our our bed as housekeeping had left for the day. Laundry facilities good, friendly and helpful reception staff. Would I stay here again? Possibly. Good location as can walk everywhere

Stayed 4 nights. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Free Parking directly outside room, Free very good WiFi. Ideal location on esplanade, for attractions, routes, and town. Large spacious very clean room. Bedroom has 2 very comfortable clean beds, 1 double, 1 single. Plenty electrical sockets. Room has small dinner table, 2 chairs, kettle, toaster, fridge, AC large TV and wardrobe. Bathroom is ensuite shower and toilet and clean with toiletries. Has seating outside and room opposite pool. Free laundry available. Good Breakfast from 7am includes toast, ham, cheese, tomatoes, fresh fruit, yogart and plenty cereal choice. Juice and tea and coffee. Would recommend stay. Good value, great location.

so this is a 3 star motel so you shouldn't expect the Ritz, and whilst the room was ok, there was some street noise plus a strange almost repetitive gun shot noise on both nights we stayed plus a prolonged fire alarm incident which took ages to resolve. Breakfast whilst complimentary was very basic - tinned fruit, packed cheese/ham, bread, cereals- not really continental, no pastries, croissants or varied cold meat selection so for day two we went elsewhere for breakfast. Doesn't help that the building is grey from outside, uninspiring however location wise it is next to the swimming beach though and plenty of parking. Fast WiFi too. There seems to be plenty of other accommodation providers in town

I stayed just 3 nights in this hotel: my experience was ok, clean room and bathroom, good size room, strong wifi signal. Very kind and polite employees, especially the different ladies working at the reception. Breakfast is a bit essentials (for example, regarding the bakery side, no sweet things at all like croissant, cake slices, or other similar bakery products, just 3 types of bread): however you have other food, what you need to full up the start of your day. Hotel is very few steps from city center , hence You have many things handy and close by. Breakfast time actually is a bit tight, is from 7 to 9. I'd suggest the hotel to extend the time of breakfast until 10.00, or at least 9.30, to avoid some rush. Very beautiful excursuons can be done in Esperance

Great staff,clean rooms lovely breakfast, good location, couldn't ask for more, checked in without booking,wasnt a problem,the prive was reasonable and even came with a lovely breakfast, overall, coul not find a foult,will be going back!!!!

We spent two nights at the Hospitality Esperance. The motel is located in the town's centre and an easy walk to restaurants, shops etc. The town's main hotel is located next door to the motel. Our motel room was very roomy. Given that the motel is not structurally new, it has been well maintained. Our room was bight, nicely furnished, very comfortable bed. The bathroom was on the small side and which has not been modernised, but having said this, it was still perfectly functional. Not much space for your toiletries, but the shower was great. The motel also has a guest laundry with free use of machines and dryers. The only problem we had was some inconsiderate guest who put their washing on but didn't return to take it out. After three hours we did them a favour and took it out and put in in one of the dryers.

More like a prison than a hotel - battleship grey , motel style dated rooms . Very basic, but clean. Directly outside our room window was parked a large minibus . The location is very near the industrial side of town. Motel used by local workers, so expect to be woken up at 6 am. The swim pool was an above the ground affair in the carpark. Photos of this motel are very carefully taken , and not indicitive of the overall experience. Left after 1 night - tourist info was very helpful and found us somewhere better. Gogle earth will show the facade of the motel is a grey 1960 s building . Very disappointing

The room was a good size, but the bathroom was very old, and in my opinion, cleanliness was not their strong suit. The receptionist on the day I checked in didn't seem to be having her best day—she was unwilling to help and frankly not pleasant at all. Very poor service. I expected something better for the price.

Tidy, spacious hotel room. Quite dated but clean, definitely needing an update. Breakfast was included which was basic continental but quite sufficient. Handy to town with a beautiful esplanade to walk along. The town has spent lot of time and money into updating foreshore and is lovely

This hotel did have a good sized room and comfortable bed. I valued the launderette where you just needed to provide the wash powder. Other places on our journey need $4 but in one dollar coins so not so practical. The wi-fi worked well too which was very variable on our long trip from Melbourne to Perth. There is an on site restaurant but was average in price and quality.

We stayed here for two nights on our way back across the Nullarbor. Whilst the outside of the building is dated, the rooms are fine and what I would expect in a country motel! All the staff that I dealt with were exceptionally friendly and helpful!

I am aware most of the accommodation in regional areas is outdated and lack-lustre but we were particularly disappointed with this accommodation for a few reasons- Very much a motel and not branded this way to prospective guests. Negatives- The walls are PAPER THIN. We had an extremely loud family staying next door and they argued/shouted/kept the telly on most of the night and the walls and doors are so thin, it sounded as though they were in our room with us. The carpet is very old, stained and despite being cleaned as well as the housekeeping staff can do, it felt very grubby and unclean. The same went for the very dated, dark and dingy bathroom with cheap and basic facilities. There is nothing overly complimentary about the breakfast offered. A few slices of ham, cheese and a yoghurt/tinned fruit alongside your toast is the height of it. We didn't expect cooked breakfast as it stated continental however there were no pastries, boiled eggs or anything other than some cereal, tinned fruit, one flavour of yoghurt and bread for toasting. Far too expensive per night for what is provided. Positives- The house keeping do a great job with what they have to work with: the bedding/towels etc very clean and decent quality. Staff are friendly. Good location.

We spent 2 nights here in a Queen Room #17. The building is old style but appears to be well maintained. Our room was a good size with plenty of cupboard space, which we didn't need to use, a large TV and bench type desk. Except for the many dead blowflies in the sliding window, it was clean and had a comfortable bed and pillows. The bathroom was a bit dated, but clean. The spout on the basin tap was too close to the edge of the basin which was quite awkward to wash hands unless it was turned on a lot more. Also the taps in the shower were mounted the wrong way. Waiting a while for the hot water to come through only to realise it was the cold tap on the wrong side. A couple of things that would be reasonably easy and affordable to rectify. The continental breakfast, included in the tariff, was adequate to start the day. Staff were friendly and considering the affordable price, it is a good location for a short stay while exploring Esperance.

My wife and I stayed at Hospitality Esperance on October 8 and 9 in order to explore the Esperance area. While a little 'dated' on the outside, our room was clean and comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed our 2 nights there. We dined on-site at the restaurant and enjoyed the complimentary breakfast each morning. The food was great thankyou. We would recommend this as a venue in Esperance for anyone looking for a reasonably priced, comfortable stay.

We found this hotel satisfied our needs. It is centrally located in Esperance. The room was very comfortable, clean and met our requirements for simple accommodation. The staff are very helpful and friendly. There are plenty of power points and usbs by the bed. The complimentary breakfast was appreciated for its options.

We had a 1 night stay at this hotel and it was good. Nice clean rooms with everything you need. Staff were very friendly and informative. Continental breakfast is included in room price. Have stayed at other hospitality hotels and they are all really the same quality.

We stayed for two nights and would say the hotel was ok. The staff were lovely and helpful when we had to return as we had forgotten something, however the rooms are dated, but clean and the windows are very drafty. We opted for the continental breakfast which again was just ok. For a short stay it was absolutely fine, it's in the beach front and right in the middle of Esperance so great accessibility for exploring, but nothing to rave about.

Great hotel, location and beautiful Esperance we didn't want to leave. Bree was so kind, have neck issues, after long road trip she got our room ready early. Very comfortable would love to come back!

We had a 2 night stay in this hotel , with a continental breakfast included, ( you can order a hot breakfast at additional cost) juices and plenty of cereal ,toast ,ham and cheese etc to choose from . The room was clean and comfortable , staff were friendly, and hotel was in a great location, We would stay here again

Would not recommend or stay again. The place was filthy!! Stained carpet, mouldy bathroom, hair on sink, dirty toilet and filthy toilet walls around toilet roll holder likely other people bodily fluids, just to name a few things. This place hasn't been cleaned properly in a long time. Walls and crevasse built up with marks and dirt. Had organised breakfast to be bought to the room the day before as i was out of the room early each day and was forgotten 3 times out of 7 days. If I am paying for breakfast included I expect that. Not good enough. This place needs a lot of work.

Very friendly staff and great room. Very spacious and comfortable. We had a second floor room facing the ocean so we had a nice view. Good wifi. Highly recommend staying here. Esperance is a lovely town and this establishment does it proud. Thank you.

Ocean view room was spacious with a comfortable bed. Room has lounge to relax on and a table with comfortable chairs. Large room and plenty of space for suitcases to be totally out of the way, if they do not fit on the special bench available in the room. Bathroom decor a bit dated but clean and spacious and nice hot shower. Stayed multiple day and ach day my room was serviced. Breakfast in the morning has plenty of choice and is recommended, it was included in the room rate. Restaurant is also a good place for dinner with great food and extremely friendly service.

Another great stay great place to relax with easy access to nearby shops hotels and beach directly over the road. Staff are all friendly and always courteous. The rooms are very clean. Parking at your motel door downstairs. If you don't want steps request ground floor

We had a long drive from Ceduna to Esperance taking 16 1/2 hours. We noted that the hotel booking stated that check-in was available to 10pm and thought we would make it in time but called ahead to just advise that we could be late. We were told that check-in was only to 9pm, key would be available from front security box and nothing open except Hungry Jacks or Dominos. Arrived at 9.30pm with NO carpark available for us to park in and room upstairs which meant a noisy ascent with luggage to our room. Booking indicated no need to secure a park as parking is available. Really tired and annoyed at all this inconvenience. Next morning, breakfast was delicious and front desk more understanding of our situation and willing to address the issues that confronted us - more obliging than the reception received the night before.

Great location in the centre of Esperance. We stayed in a room with ocean views. The place is close to everything and we walked everywhere in town which was so handy. A continental breakfast is included (they offer filtered coffee). The staff are friendly especially Michelle! The motel is early 1980s vintage and could do with an update in the future although the rooms are clean and the parking ample.

Accommodation was basic but was suited for what we needed. Only downfall is the mattress on the double bed which is very hard. Location of accommodation is excellent and is walking distance to shops, restaurants, bars, takeaways, beach and jetty.

Excellent facilities Beach and playground over the road. Clean rooms and short walk to cbd everything close by Complimentary Continental breakfast an added bonus Wout at reception made the booking, arrival and check out very smooth. Highly recommended

The central location is the motel's strongest point. Restaurants and shops are only minutes away, And you can smoke right outside your door which is convenient for smokers (who seem to be unwelcome at many Australian hotels). The shower had very good water pressure with hot water available instantly. Parking is a bit tight. It was full every night we were there. Breakfast was a bit of a joke. Very poor choice of food, the weakest we've seen in any hotel/motel offering breakfast.

This is a great place to stay in a fantastic location with friendly helpful staff. The restaurant Seasons was the best food we had on our trip to Esperance and the included breakfast was plentiful and varied so that we had a good start to the day. Would always stay there when visiting Esperance but I would bring my own soap as the soap in the bathroom wasn't up to scratch!

Great accommodation on the foreshore of Esperance. Stayed in an Executive Queen Bed room. Plenty of space, lovely staff, great food in their restaurant. Only stayed one night on our way to Perth. Would stay again.

We stayed for 4 nights in a standard room with a queen bed and single. Room was comfortable and clean. Continental Breakfast was included and hot cooked food was available for extra payment if required. Staff were excellent.

The rooms were comfortable and large. We cannot say enough about the staff, so much that we had to leave a tip for the jar. Food was great, service was excellent. Both my wife and I could not fault it. Awesome way to see Esperance

When booking accommodation for a first time visit to an area, there is always a doubt “Did I book the right place?” In this instance the answer would be a resounding “Yes!” - right on the Esplanade facing Esperance Bay, with comfortable and clean room, parking outside the room and a reasonable rate. We had a little difficulty identifying the vehicle entrance but that was quickly solved. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. The room proved to be quiet, the wifi reasonably good, and the shower consistently hot and of a good strength. I was impressed that extra pillows were available and were in zippered bags to keep dust etc from them. Easy access both walking and driving to local shops and facilities. Return? When returning to Esperance we would book Hospitality again and would recommend it to our friends.

Very pleased with the location and service here. The room was neat and tidy and the bed was comfortable. The food and drinks in the room's mini bar were expensive.$4.50 for a "Snickers" bar for example. To their credit, a complementary continental breakfast was offered to guests.

Work trip to Esperance and on a tight time schedule. Had to spend 2 nights in this hell hole. First impressions when booking in - Old and dated but the smell of old dirt masked by chemicals was overwhelming. Carpet is dirty and greasy with stain marks all over. No time to try get other accomodation as I was on a very thight work schedule with lots of traveling. Out the evening to dinner and bed where everything in the bed smelt of cigarette smoke. Next morning and into the shower where I descovered the drain is so clogged up and the water I was standing in the most horrible colour even before I started washing. The thought of what all must be in the water im standing in is scarring thoughts. I then realised there was no ways my feet would be clean for 3 days. Mould in the bathroom, extractor fan had to be wedged open with soap cardboard box. Just an all round terrible experience that I would have to endure a second night. Could not wait to get home and a sad for the tainted experience of a first visit to Esperance.

We decided to stay here because of the location and closeness to the bus stop as we came by bus and the location to the beach and town centre. The room was quite good and beds were comfy but the room a little outdated as the bathroom looked a little old. The TV could of been a bit bigger and could of had a few more cable channels but we was only in the room at night the only other thing there could of been a few plates and some cutlery as we brought takeaway to the room but still enjoyed it the free breakfast was adequate but the dinner we had on the first night wasn't very good and way too pricey with not much choice

Esperence is a fabulous place - well worth the drive down from Perth. This motel is right on the beach, and offers a first-class dining experience. Our room was clean and comfortable. Staff were helpful with tips on what to see.

Very welcoming both reception and environment, tidy, spacious, comfortable and just generally a lovely place to stay. Brilliant being so close to the sea and the special floating swimmer lanes if you enjoy fitness training as an added bonus. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.

Clean and simple rooms. Rooms are pretty standard rooms. Nothing crazy amazing but nothing wrong either. Room standard matches price and they were comfortable. Great location, close to food, the foreshore and not too far a walk to the main strip.

The Esperance Hospitality is a great place to stay. I have been staying there now for years. I always go in September (so it's cold) and the rooms are warm, great showers, comfortable beds and have all the TV channels I need. The staff are lovely and when I have to leave too early for breakfast, the continental one delivered to my room the night before is excellent. Thanks for your "hospitality". :)

A very popular Motel - right next door to an equally popular Hotel. Many are the times that I have stayed here. Shops well within walking distance and what a wonderful view you have out of the Breakfast Room window when munching into your Toast. A smooth beach right outside and a mighty 'smooth' breakfast inside. What more could you ask for. I shall return there to the same motel each time - WELL DONE TO ALL.

Spent three nights on a work trip here. Do not let the old fashioned, stark looking building put you off. Stayed in premium Queen room. Ocean views across the car park. Room was spacious with, 2 seater lounge table with two chairs, small fridge, queen size bed and a decent sized bathroom. It was clean and comfortable. Very quiet when I stayed. May be a bit noisier on weekends with Pier hotel pub and night club patrons next door coming and going. Breakfast was included in the already very reasonable room rate. Great continental breakfast selection and restaurant has locely ocean views. Fantastic location in centre of town, within easy walking distance to restaurants and shops. Friendly service. Highly recommended.

We stayed at Hospitality Esperance for 3 nights recently. Great location within walking distance to restaurants / cafes etc. Friendly and helpful staff. Comfy rooms with warm beds and hot showers. Unfortunately the restaurant was not open for dinner but the Continental breakfast was fine. Would definitely recommend this establishment to others travelling to Esperance. Graham and Carol

The hotel is getting a bit old but the beds were comfy, the facilities good. When we stayed there was a technical issue""with the restaurant so we could not get any cooked meals. However the Continental breakfasts were plentiful with a good variety on offer including fresh made pancakes . The staff were very friendly and helpful

We spent 2 nights here. The location is on the water front overlooking the harbor. The rooms are neat, tidy and clean. Like most motels, inns and hotels the rooms are outdated and in major need of up grades. Continental breakfast is provided and of a good standard.

The motel is well located on the beach. The bed was memory foam and comfortable, everything worked, the bathroom could do with a refresh but OK. Room at the rear was quiet with parking outside. Management was helpful, continental breakfast OK. Wifi spotty but I never found a motels in WA with fast wifi. Would stay there again. Right next to Pier Hotel if having trouble locating it.

The trickery they use is they won't tell you at check in that breakfast closes at 0900. My husband went to get coffee at 0700 but no mention then. Then when we walked in at 0857 to have breakfast the very rude lady managing the floor says no breakfast. Tried to intimate us with her rude demeanour thinking we would walk away. Escalated with the manager on duty to be allowed in. But had already taken all the food away. Apart from that, noisy aircons, mouldy bathrooms. Surprisingly no one knows what rules they run this place off. The world needs kindness and generosity but their staff have none.

Full disclosure I don't stay at motels often so wasn't really sure what to expect, we booked here because it was the only place In Esperance that had free rooms. We had a room overlooking the beach. The room, as was most of the motel, rather tired. The bathroom in particular with the brown tiles really needed modernising. We booked room service every day but got it only once. The breakfast was continental & adequate if not memorable. The location is excellent directly opposite the beach, an easy stroll to the main shopping strip.

The hotel is located right in front of the beach and is very close by to most basic amenities: servo, groceries and eateries. Hotel is a little dated and slightly dusty but overall still reasonably maintained. Complimentary breakfast is basic but adequate for me. Staffs are friendly too. Would appreciate if the hotel signage is more obvious! Not a bad choice for a short stay at Esperance!

This hotel is comfortable, clean and servicing is up to the traveller. Unfortunately our bed was a little hard for my husband, when asked if anything could be done the reception staff promptly organised one of their staff to put a pillow top protector on the bed making it a little less hard which was very much appreciated. The bathroom was a little dated with the shower going hot and cold the whole time. Alert from these things we enjoyed our stay. Parking was right outside our room number 8. The bonus was the laundry being able to clean our clothes before going to our next destination was fabulous. The location is fantastic close to town with everything in walking distance. Opposite is Esperance Bay which was a highlight for my husband who is in a swim club and swims 4 days a week. The fact that it had a shark net was impressive and secure not having to worry about them maybe being present. We had 2 dinners at Seasons restaurant and were very impressed at how good it was. Compliments to the chef.

Hubby and I srayed here for 6 nights, our room #21 was on the ground floor which was a plus as 1st floor rooms were accessible by a staircase and dragging bags up would have been a nightmare, our room faced the pool but the views from main window faced a fence, room was spacious, clean and conveniently close to our parked car, reception staff were very friendly and helpful, allowed us to leave our car in the safe hotel carpark while we spent a night in Woody Island, continental breakfast was included with accommodation but pretty boring, cereal,bread,fruit,yoghurt,cold meat, cheese,tea, coffee, however you could order breakfast from menu, prices and choices were OK, the only negative comment to make is the fact that this hotel is ridiculously difficult to find from the street ,,there is no official hotel signedge, had to call them for guidance as very difficult to find from street front !! WiFi dropped out often, bathroom was good size and it was annoying not being able to turn light on separate from the exhaust fan which was extremely loud ! The guest laundry was a bonus but washing powder was not supplied and had to be bought. Hotel is conveniently close to town centre and Esperance bay

The hotel is a comfortable, clean and serviced choice for travellers. Breakfast - continental, is offered in the price. Be aware bus groups can take over the dining room early though. Covid restrictions are adhered to and we appreciated the hotel honouring all regulations and vaccination requirements. The rooms are serviced daily by friendly ladies and gentlemen. Staff numbers appear high…another plus for the hotel. The best part of this hotel apart from staffing levels is the location. Opposite beautiful Esperance Bay. Coffee van at the jetty, no need for a car.

The location is very convenient and is only a short walking distance to the town centre, banks, bakery , post office, McDonalds and the Shell petrol station is very close too. The morning shift manager was very friendly and helpful and gave us a local map with the places to go to. The young waitress from Peru was a delight to talk to, very friendly, helpful and always had a smile. We stayed at a Queens size and single room at the back of the hotel which was nice and quiet. There is no signage of the name of the hotel and it took us awhile to look for it and eventually we had to ring up the hotel and ask. A nice big sign with the hotel name outside the building would be very helpful. There was nothing exciting with the breakfast which was included in the room tariff. My husband and I stayed 6 nights and after the second day, I didn't bother with the breakfast as it was the same everyday. ..(salami, sliced ham, fruits, cereals, yoghurt, toasts and pancakes). The bread was very crumbly and wasn't like Top Top. There was no complimentary water bottles in the room like most hotels would have. In our room we were badly bitten by bugs which left large red spots on our skin. We couldn't see what was biting us and we suspect it was bed bugs or some sort of midgets. Our skin was polka dotted with nasty red bites all over which itched terribly. The carpet in our room was filthy and we dare not walk barefoot as it was so dirty and unhygienic. The place needs to be professionally cleaned and fumigated. The shower had mould in it and was very tiny, you couldn't swing a dead cat in it. The toilet and shower floor was quite grubby too. Wifi was poor and at times we couldn't connect. The best time was a bit late in the night when everyone had gone to bed. We requested Housekeeping every alternate day and the carpet was never vacuumed as the small bit s and pieces which were on the floor were still there even after the room was made. We were so relieved and happy when we checked out.

We stayed here for 1 night room was clean and well appointed, staff very friendly and helpful and we also ordered room service for dinner from the onsite restaurant food was fantastic. The only negative thing we could say is the hotel is hard to find as it is not signed very well but a quick look on google maps and easy to find. Great location just across from the ocean and centrally located would highly recommend a stay here.

Absolute worst stay. 1. Noisy as, wall is very thin and no “no noise/party” policy, unlike the more “Comfort”able one right next door. 2. No power point next to bed. 3. Ran out of hot water when showering 4. Beds are on wheels and are not fastened, pretty sure it's not up to code. 5. Most amusing of all, they feel the need to set up their own contact tracing in a state that has done exceptionally well against covid. Every guest needs to write down the locations they've been in the past 14 days and sign!!!??? 6. Worst wifi, constant drop offs. 7. Spent about 10 minutes looking for this place, can't find the sign?? I would think it's what we get for getting a cheap room like this if I didn't stay at another similarly priced and located hotel just the night before.

Stayed in a standard Queen room (1x Queen and 1x Single). Moderately sized room, LG split a/c, 32” TV. Bathroom outdated but sufficient. Just beware when showering as water goes from hot to cold to scalding hot when neighbours use their shower. Room cleaning was excellent. Free laundry incl dryers. Great location on Esplanade with bars and restaurants within easy reach. The complimentary Continental breakfast is ample with juices, cereal (5 types), bread (3 types) (toaster) fresh fruit, their homemade yoghurt, automatic pancake machine and cheese/cold meat. All in all a good accommodation option in the centre of Esperance.

This motel is located in the perfect position in Esperance. Right in front of the beach, immediately next door to the Pier hotel and just around the corner to the town centre. We stayed with friends for 4 nights and points as follows : Rooms are old style but large and well decorated, beds are large and quite comfy with good choice of pillows. Water pressure excellent and hot water aplenty. Restaurant great with ocean views, continental breakfast included and was great with fruit, toast, pancakes, cheese, condiments and coffee and tea. Cooked breakfast available at extra cost if required. Nice pool for the summer months Owner, reception staff were super and cleaners were all super friendly, lovely people. Just two observations on a couple of things that can be improved very easily: The junior staff in the restaurant are quite unpleasant and need some training on dealing with customers in a friendly and helpful way. The coffee in the restaurant is like dishwater and can be easily upgraded to a bette type. All in all a good stay in a lovely place, in a great location with nice people…except the juniors. Can recommend this place and will be back if we return to Esperance in the future.

TV in hotel room does not support Google Chromecast to watch Netflix. The WIFI network cannot support this 21st century device. Very limited and outdated movie channels and tv channels. Please update the Wifi network/tvs in rooms to customers have a better experience whilst staying.

A quick decision to travel with elderly in-laws to reflect in some parts of Regional WA of the many places they lived in regional WA. We headed via Hyden to Kalgoorlie and Esperance visiting family with the intent to look for a gravesite of a family member who died in Kalgoorlie in 1907. On the trip, we are looking for flat ground and an accessible room that is easy for disabled people to enter or leave a room as well as move around a room. Hospitality Kalgoorlie was our choice. The trip continued with our two-night stop in Esperance with Hospitality Esperance. The accommodation was EXTREMELY clean and was appreciated by all especially my fussy in-law. We enjoyed a lovely dinner with family in Esperance with a full view of the beautiful Esperance Bay. The pork belly was to die for!! I would like to thank the great staff at both locations for assisting us with accommodation ourselves and our in-law's needs. Who makes their own yoghurt this was fantastic Hospitality Inn do! which was enjoyed by the fussy mother-in-law and for us managing disabled parents was a great assistance in and out of cars. By the way – we did find that gravesite. It is only a number but soon to have a plaque placed on it. Thank you to the Kalgoorlie and Denmark Historical Society and their connections for assisting us on this quest. Marie & Terry Redman

Nothing negative at all about this stay. Awesome location, continental breakfast included, the room was clean, and very spacious. Loved everything about the property. Will return. And a very short walk from the bus station and visitor center.

Stayed here last week as part of a tour group. The room was fantastic, clean and presented well. The food was excellent in the restaurant. Across the road from the beach where if your awake early enough you can catch the sunrise. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks Morag and your team.

This accommodation was fantastic. Morag at the desk was extremely friendly and helpful in organising our stay. After a long day travelling, we loved the restaurant quality food bought to our room. A little pricier than other options , but worth it

The room was spacious, comfortable and clean, but it is dated and in need of a refresh. The outside looks a bit like a barracks and doesn't look inviting. They have a laundry with complimentary washing facilities, which is very handy.

Very impressed with service, the room very clean , staff helpful , breakfast best value out there, continental included , really great range for brekky. Cooked available if u want some more. Wifi was awesome . We don't have nbn so when on holidays the wifi is great, some work better than others. Next trip back that will see us revisit . Thanks again to all the staff.

Very quiet room - our room was adjacent to a park with kids amenities. There was several families celebrating a kids party and with the room door closed we couldn't hear a thing - very very surprised indeed. The room temperature was always spot on ( very cold outside) without having to put on the reverse cycle aircon. Great views of the Esperance foreshore and wharf, could sit for hours watching the scenes. 5 minute walk to center of town. Concrete pathways adjacent the foreshore along landscaped gardens east and west of the hotel. Microwave would be very helpful and more room in the bar fridge would be extremely helpful. Otherwise really enjoyed our stay and will be back.

All the staff I had contact with knew what they were doing and, best of all they are pleasant and keen to help. My room was clean and tidy as was the case with each of the 3 days I stayed. Well done, thank you.

Comfortable rooms conveniently located to town and local sight seeing. Continental breakfast was fine. Located right across from the ocean it was great for early morning walks along the beautiful foreshore.

Motel room was spacious, clean and serviced daily on request. The staff were great and the complimentry continental breakfast was really yummy. Though the parking bays were spacious, it was a nuisance to not have a bay next to your room , and having to find a new spot each time you return to hotel.

The rooms here are comfortable and clean. The bathroom was small but adequate and the shower was hot. The staff were very friendly and we enjoyed the included continental breakfast. We also had dinner at the motel restaurant. My pork belly and sticky date pudding were delicious. The restaurant looks out onto the beach front esplanade. East walking distance to town and other restaurants.

While our room didn't look anywhere near as modern as the photos above appear it was still very comfortable. The bathroom though was quite poky and badly designed. It was a freezing night but the AC did a good job of keeping the room warm while still being very quiet. But what gives this motel the advantage over the usual 3 star motel is the included continental breakfast. It was a very good spread with serials, fruit, yogurt, salami and cheese, self made pancakes and tea and coffee. We would return just for the breakfast alone!

I just love the views from the executive front units. Since the esplanade has been done up the foreshore is amazing to walk along. The location is simply great as it is a very short walking distance into town to other eateries and pubs. The food here is good and the restaurant overlooks the foreshore as well. To be honest a bit of renewal would be nice but otherwise great bang for your buck.

We had no issue with this hotel, the staff were professional & friendly. the rooms were clean & modestly appointed with all we needed, continental breakfast was included in our rate which we thought was very adequate, overall a very pleasant stay.

Not very appealing building.The room was big and the bed comfortable. Noisy as people arrived late and the walls thin. There was no working WiFi which was inconvenient. Ok as stop over but would not stay any length of time. Not much to the town although the beaches were beautiful.

Stayed 5 nights at this place and liked it a lot. Pros: Good location, parking on site. The room was spacious and clean. It had a fridge and coffee and tea making facilities. Toilet was a bit small and "odd" planned, but OK. Cleaning staff did an excellent job, and were very nice. Cons: Wifi was terrible. Although the signal was good, it seemed like the main unit kept shutting down which made it impossible to use well. The windows have a gap, so even if they are closed, air comes in, which means if your neighbours are smoking on the porch, all smokes comes into your apartment which is very unpleasant. The porch should be smoke-free too. I would definetely recommend this place! And Esperance!

Centrally located adjacent to the harbour.Motel staff friendly and informative.Room was comfortable although very dated.Bed good and overall room clean although I did have a visit from a cockroach in the bed during the night

Located across from the Harbour, the hotel is walking distance from shops and BBC grills. The hotel is clean and well maintained. It provides you with all the basic things. The bed is on the firmer side but its quite comfortable. Perfect for those not looking for a luxurious stay.

The room was clean and tidy with nice white sheets and comfortable beds....although the shower/bathroom area was extremely small. The cleaning staff were lovely and friendly, the reception staff...not so much - the receptionist didn't smile at all and appeared to be in a bad mood. Overall it was good place to stay.

Stayed here for two nights on 16-17th December. Booked through Booking.com and got a good deal at less than $100 per night. Friendly reception from the young lady on arrival. Stayed in unit 38 which is round the back and upstairs. Three bedded room. An older motel but looks pretty well maintained. Comfortable and clean with good heating/air con. Good location right on the sea front and within walking distance of cafes, pubs and restaurants. I felt it was good value. I did not use the restaurant so cannot comment on what it is like.

The motel was clean and central. The restaurant was lovely and had recently, we were told, updated their menu. It was nice but a tad overpriced we thought. Other options were limited as Dome closed before sinner and the pub was crowded but we had one night in the motel restaurant and the other at the yacht Club...

What a great place to stay so close to everything and a great restaurant next door the continental breakfast was out of this world with the lass remembering my gluten free bread before I did some days Washing facilities on site very clean rooms and helped us to shift our booked over to the Kalgoorlie hotel as well very good stay thank you

This was accommodation arranged by our travel company. It was well situated for the amenities of Esperance and we found it clean and comfortable.Our towels were changed for the 2nd night , which was not really necessary, but our bed was not made. The food was average - the first night the meal was provided by our tour group - there was a nice honey and pumpkin soup, a rather strange chicken curry with no sauce and an egg custard tart with a nice filling if a somewhat hard pastry case. The meal the following night was reasonable although the gummy fish was a little dry. There was a very limited choice of wine by the glass and, inexplicably, [ at least to me ] the small bottles available in the minibar in our were not available in the restaurant. The breakfasts were acceptable but overall our stay left something to be desired.

A very clean motel... rooms serviced daily, in the morning (as they should be)...the bathroom was very clean but a bit old...... 1970s...... wifi was so slow I gave up and used my hotspot.....the air con wasn't very quiet but we slept through it...... the beds are very firm.....a pretty average motel.. could do with refurbishing but I'd stay there again

This motel situated near the town centre and the esplanade is a very comfortable and quiet motel. The bed sheets are changed almost every other day giving the guest a pleasant sleep every night. Great location with restaurants close by. Its value for money too.

The Best Western represents good value for money. It is an older style motel with all rooms facing onto the car park or connected via external walkways. The rooms are tidy and clean and have all the standard hotel amenities. Rooms have wifi & air conditioning. The bathrooms are a bit outdated but clean. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. The noise from other guests was a bit frustrating as we were woken a fair bit with doors slamming and several people yelling-I recommend bringing your earplugs. If you are looking for a clean, basic hotel room at a reasonable price the Best Western but it just wasn't for me.

Clean, quiet rooms with glimpses of the water from upstairs rooms all just metres from the waterfront and parks. Plenty of onsite parking. Breakfast and dinner restaurant staff were always helpful and smiling with a good selection of food available. All the staff seemed friendly. Our American friend also enjoyed her stay here. Great location with the Esperance Main Street one minute walk away and the popular Pier Hotel is right next door.

Bed is so comfortable and room was warm as its been quite cold recently. The air con works perfectly. People were shouting late at night which woke me and my partner up but not sure it was due to the hotel might of been due to the pub behind?!? Shower was a bit small and the water temp was a bit all over the place, but it worked Otherwise a nice hotel :)

I first stayed at this hotel located on the bay foreshore in 1971 but its facilities are still modern and up to date. The hotel is within close walking distance (next block) to the centre of town and the Trans WA bus stop for bus services to/from Perth and Kalgoorlie. I found the condition and cleanliness of the room and its facilities to be of a very good quality for a good room rate. Meals are provided in a good class restaurant and offers coffee to go for any very early morning departures prior to meals being available. Beach recreation areas are available across the road as are significant walk paths which extend to the coast's magnificent beach areas for the more athletic. Some taxi services are available if you wish to go further afar or cant walk the distance.

Always stay here as its within walking distance to everything you need. Clean and tidy, friendly staff. Very nice breakfast. Very busy this time we were there due to bus season however we were able to work around them and eat a bit later.

We've stayed here a few times over the past 6 years and while the rooms are pretty basic they are clean and comfortable. It is perfectly located for visiting the nearby national parks and beaches and next door to the pub. Staff we've dealt with have been friendly, helpful and courteous.

Very friendly staff, comfy bed and very clean. Nice quiet location opposite the waterfront. Laundry free. Breakfast included. Good location central to the town and its amenities. Had an issue with a noisy fridge it was no problem and changed over immediately. Great staff attitude. Highly recommended.

This is essentially a motel. While the staff are efficient and friendly, the rooms are soulless. Our room was spartan, but clean. The kettle that didn't work was replaced as soon as reported, and the non-functioning air-conditioning was fixed by the time we returned to our room after dinner. Being warm, on a wet and freezing night, made a great difference! The bathroom, however, remained cold - but the water was hot. The restaurant was not bad at all, and the service was excellent. While the menu is not large, there is a fair bit of choice and prices are reasonable. This is a convenient and central place to stay for a night or two, but I wouldn't suggest to for a holiday.

I transferesd from the horrible Jetty Hotel to here. It is like night and day. So professional here. better wifi, bigger TV cleaner rooms nicer beds and pillows, great resturant, . no abusive owner here like at the Jetty.

Staff were friendly and helpful, room was clean. Bit chilly this time of year, located near main street so all the amenities are very close. Best to get a room at the rear, front is next to local hotel & bottleshop. Sleep was good, and no problems to speak of.

Apparently they have newly renovated rooms? I wasn't lucky enough to get one of those for the 4 nights I stayed there. Very old and very average. The biggest surprise was that there's a kettle and toaster, but no plates, cutlery or microwave. When we asked for plates, they made us sign for 2 saucers, 2 knives and 2 forks. They don't loan full-size plates. Guess I'll be more insistent on a better room or just go somewhere else next time.

We could have booked this room with booking.com ,I phoned the hotel direct and was quoted more than booking .com was charging,but staff told me this price included breakfast, and was a seniors special,when we arrived I ask reception where do we put breakfast orders,they then told me that they have a little corner of the resteraunt ,where you can get pancakes and cereals ,I said I wanted proper breakfast ,was then told we could only have continental breakfast

Myself and the Missus made the short trip from Kambalada for one night to check out Esperance and we loved staying here. Location was perfect. Staff were perfect and the room was perfect, wasn't anything too flashy but that's not what we were after. We will definitely be staying again, hopefully soon.

Great! Stayed here for the one night with a friend. Although small and older room, everything was clean and comfortable and also reasonably priced for our night stay in Esperance. Centrally located, next to the nightlife and paths to walk Really dont need to drive anywhere to get the essentials :) The staff in reception were friendly and very helpful Will recommend

I was working in Esperance and spent two nights here. Our room was at the very back of the complex but our window overlooked the pool. The buildings and rooms have had a makeover since my previous visits but the bathrooms are still very pokey. Beds were comfortable and everything felt clean. We had breakfast in our room first morning as we had a 6 oclock start at work but the second morning we had breakfast in the restraunt which was lovely. We also had dinner in the restraunt which was ordered in advance as there were so many of us. The food here is great just like home cooked meals. Staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcomed.

The Best Western is very comfortable with good size rooms and excellent customer service. Nothing is too much trouble and you're u even receive a text after checking in to say contact them regarding any issue you may have. For the business person there is everything you need in the room including an ironing board and iron (these are obligatory items for me). The Best Western is right on the Esperance foreshore and is a very short distance from the shops, restaurants and cafes. The restaurant is good too. Very good service and the food of a good standard. Breakfast is right up there. The only negative I had was on my last morning there was no chef and hence only continental breakfast was available (not that it is a real problem, but I was expecting something else). So, I am more than happy to,stay there again.

We had a comfortable and clean room on our three night stay. Staff at reception not too friendly. Cleaning staff were very friendly. Good location close to shopping and restaurants. Right on the foreshore for walks or just relaxing. Wifi does not deserve that name. Absolutely useless.

Stayed here twice and it is in a great location for restaurants and a walk along the foreshore. Clean room and quite large. Bed was comfortable. Great beaches a short drive along the coast. Restaurant was good but pub next door was better.

After staying in another Best Western a few weeks earlier I found Esperance one to be dated and very small. The toilet and shower were ridiculously small, i'd hate to be a larger person as sadly they just wouldn't fit. The rooms were non smoking but had chairs outside the rooms and a bucket for the smokers to put there butts in, as a non smoker I had to roll a towel up and put it at the door as it was just stinking my room out, this usually doesn't bother me but having a heavy smoker staying next door I didn't have any option but to smell it. The walls were paper thin too.

I had 2 month stay here. Could not have been happier with the whole experience. The restaurant catered for my dietary requests and was very creative. They made me feel like apart of the family. Room was clean and very comfortable.

The staff are so so friendly it was a pleasure to stay here. We had a great clean room and the bests were so comfortable. After a long drive we decided to work and get room service. The food was great - compliments to the chef. Our only complaint is we could not get the wifi to work.

We are frequent overnight guests at this Motel and am always impressed with the fabulous cleanliness of the rooms, the friendly service from all staff as well as the competitive rates . The location is second to none - close to restaurants, shopping , and beautiful view of the glorious Esperance Bay

Comfortable bed and clean room. Stayed upstairs so had ocean glimpses view. Tea making facilities which is good. Bathroom a little dated but clean and functional. Unfortunately a whipper snippet or blower was being used from 5.15am for about 30minutes so sleep was interrupted but not sure where that was coming from. Good location and would stay again

The Best Western in Esperance might look like your usual bricks-and-mortar fair from the outside, but it goes beyond its star rating by giving customers that extra bit of hospitality. It ticks all the usual boxes for what you're looking for in a motel - it's clean, comfortable and has good amenities. But it's the helpful staff that sets this place a part from your usual motel experience. The staff helped us out with everything we needed - even printing off an email form for me. It's a great place to stay if you're heading off to do bush camping in the national parks, or coming back from your camping adventures and you need to freshen up. The motel is right on the foreshore, so there's easy access to the beachfront, as well as all the shops.

Booked an executive queen room and were not disappointed. The room was upstairs in the front part of hotel overlooking the water. It was very spacious and included a sofa and table and chairs. Very comfortable for our 2 night stay. Walking distance to everything in town.

After a long drive we had a very friendly reception. Our room was large, quiet and clean and well air conditioned. Tea and coffee were welcome addtions. Hotel breakfasts were good value It is also situated very conveniently for other eating spots in the town. If you are exploring this area and need a basic, good value base - this is ideal.

Was met by very friendly and helpful reception staff, thank you. This motel has all the facilities you require, including a pool, small restaurant and bar. Rooms where tidy and clean, and beds were comfortable. We went next door to the Pier Hotel bar and restaurant, highly recommend the food and drinks there. Played the meat raffle and thankfully did not win as we were on our way to Margaret River for a wine weekend, no idea what we would have done with that?

The location was great... but so was that of pretty much every hotel in Esperance. The bedding was comfy and clean. Other than that, everything needed to be refurbished. I opened the cupboard and was greeted with a mouldy smell. I just felt like everything needed a good scrub and the bathroom needed to be gutted.

Nothing stood out about our accommodation but that's not to say we expected luxury. We had a room of average size with standard amenities. On the other hand, it was in the price range we had expected for that. No complaints.

It's a very reasonable priced hotel with a great location right opposite the main town beach. The room was good size- bathroom could do with updating. Pool was ok but right in middle of car park. It just lacked any character. We used it as a night stop which it was fine for!

We arrived from Perth not having stayed here before. We were greeted with friendliness and professionalism. Once we received our key for our accommodation, we went to our room and was pleasantly surprised on how nice and tidy it was. My wife's reaction was “our new go to place” We decided to eat at the restaurant, and although a bit pricey, the food was great. We decided to ask if we could stay an extra night..... not a problem In the morning it was great to here happy workers cleaning the rooms also. I'd definitely keep this as our “ go to place” Thanks Best Western

Stayed in room 4 and it was clean and very comfortable. We made the drive from Perth and after 8 hours arrived shortly after noon. Easy check in and had a wonderful nights sleep. Close to shops and foreshore. Second stay in three months

We really enjoyed our stay - great location (Right across from beach), friendly staff and really clean and comfortable rooms/facilities. Just what we were after. Would definitely recommend. Right next door to Pier Hotel which was good for food! Would also recommend Fish Face which was just round the corner.

Not the best start to our visit, through no fault of the hotel. Had booked a four night non refundable stay. Flew down from Perth on the mid afternoon flight. Tried to land twice in bad visibility, couldn't and diverted all the way back to Perth. Once we had secured accommodation back in Perth, phoned the hotel to ensure our no-show wouldn't see the other three nights cancelled. No issues here (got straight through to front desk). Arrived next morning and checked in with ease. A little while later after unpacking etc, we sussed that our room wasn't the upgraded refurbished one we had booked. After realising the error front desk couldn't move us that night as all the rooms were full. Option was to move the next night which we didn't fancy. As an alternative they then offered us a free breakfast for the thee days. On reflection a satisfactory outcome dealt with in the correct manner. The room we had at the rear of the motel was fine, but a little tired and dated. Nothing actually wrong with it and more than functional and an ample sized. Lets face it you don't come on holiday to spend all day in the room. Everything worked. Decent TV and Wi-Fi was OK for general purposes, although a little slow to connect at times. Parking right outside the front door as we had a lower room. Hotel is in a excellent location, minutes walk from the centre of town. Lovely 10-15 min walk opposite down to Tanker jetty, home of Coffee Cat. Staff friendly. Good value for what we paid for mid November. .

This is a old motel in a great location, the rooms are large and clean and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. It was great to have the laundry facilities as we were touring Aus. for a month so needed to do laundry every week. Our one problem was the lack of soundproofing between the rooms, during our 3 night stay we got very little sleep due to noise from both sides I'm not talking about excessive party type noise but you could hear everything, TV, plumbing, coughing. I guess the only way this could be improved would be a complete refurbishment. So until that happens take ear plugs!

Fanulous staff - service was so accommodating, helpful and friendly. Great restaurant dinner. Amazingly comfy bed. The only thing holding our rating back from 5 star is the bsthroom - dated but clean and functional.

Very nice room , spacious and clean with a lovely bathroom. Right on the foreshore and next to a pub with bistro . I would recommend There is a comfortable council and a table and chairs. Close to town and shops and restaurants.

We stayed at the Best Western Esperance from 29 Dec 2017 to 2 Jan 2018. The hotel is in a fantastic location, directly opposite the Esperance foreshore where there is a beautiful grassed area and playground for the children. It also has a wonderful bike path. Upon arrival we were greeted by Jaimie, (i think that was her name) and she was so welcoming and lovely. Checkin was prompt and easy. We got to our room which was room 14 directly opposite the pool. Upon entering our room you could see it was very clean and had a large comfortable bed. The room is a good size with a wardrobe and draws for clothes and an area to put your suitcase. There was an iron and ironing board as well. There was a kettle, tea, coffee and mini bar also. There was a toaster but there were no plates or cutlery which i found odd. If you supply a toaster there ahould be a knife and plates. The bathroom was clean, but had a little mould in the shower. There was a hair dryer, shampoo and conditioner, shower cap etc. Overall an enjoyable stay and would definitely stay again.

Loved my stay here it was a nice comfortable room, that was really quite and beach adjacent. Additionally the service was excellent and the staff where very helpful, even notifying me of the changes due to services during the Christmas break. Also had a great view of the ocean from my window. Looking forward to my next stay here.

Best Western has got it in for me. After the Albany branch put me in their special “Black Hole of Calcutta” room, the Esperance branch put me in a room that was better but was set back under a covered passageway so still had a shortage of natural light. The room was standard, tv couldn't play movies off a usb, bathroom had an old decor but worked ok. Wifi was terrible - it kept disconnecting and even when it's working it's very slow - I gave up and used my phone, which was much faster. At least this room only cost $100, much less than the one in Albany. Still too expensive for such a low-end motel.

A very nice hotel, very comfortable and reasonably priced. The rooms were very presented and cleaned professionally daily. The employees were very pleasant. The walls are a bit 'thin', meaning that conversations in other rooms could be heard in my own - but thankfully, for the most part, it is quiet.

The Best Western has friendly, welcoming and helpful staff on arrival. My room was well appointed and clean. The restaurant meals were well above the average, the food presentation, taste and quality was not your typical hotel meal had an Asian salad with chicken for a main the meal was just like being in Vietnam. My breakfast off salmon and poached eggs on Sourdough was as equally as delicious as dinner. I can only say you should try this great place. Cheers Ian

Had a very comfortable 3 night stay in a front ground floor unit with terrific view of the foreshore.The room was very well serviced and quite. Continental breakfast was included with a very good variety to choose from. Restaurant menu was excellent. Very good location with hotel next door (we stayed over the weekend and had no problems with noise). Short walk into center of town as well as other attractions. Staff were very helpful.

Pleasant helpful staff. Car parking right at our door. Table and chairs. Comfortable bed and good bedding and towels. Nice bathroom, good shower. A mirror with light that you could see your face in - great for applying make up. Unfortunately the fridge did not keep things cold.

I was here early November 2017 as part of a Casey Australia Tour. The motel staff were very efficient in handling our arrival and checking in. My single room was clean and tidy with everything working as it should. The room was serviced the next day, not all motels do this. Water pressure seemed a little down but it wasn't much of a problem for me. Yes, the place is getting on a bit now but still looked pretty good. View straight across the road into Esperance Bay, although half of what you see is the loading terminal ;) however, the old jetty is a short walk up the road. Amenities are all within easy walking distance so this is well placed for the town centre.

We travelled in a tour group. The room was adequate and the bed was so comfortable. The food was exceptionally delicious. Attention to detail by staff especially in the dining room was just right. Small pool looked inviting but it was too windy! The proximity to the town site, the park and water front added to our enjoyment. Overall our stay exceeded our expectations.

If you have a mid-ranged budget then this hotel should exceed your expectations. Not much to look at from the outside but the room was clean, comfortable bed, good facilities and a sea view. Breakfast and dinner were both good and I'll be sure to book here again.

Great place, close to the pier hotel and great to see the beach if you get a room in the two story area. Still great if you're just making a quick visit in Esperance or looking for a decent hotel at a nice location ??

Great place to stay and as usual the Best western was superb .Fantastic staff and Morag the manager was so helpful .The bathrooms could do to be upgraded but that's my only issue as it was immaculate .See you again guys thanks

It doesn't look that much from the front but it is actually a big complex. I was upgraded to a king room which was very spacious. Great facilities. The only downside was the shower pressure, dismal. The staff were very friendly and willing to help.

Fast check-in with a very friendly staff member, I arrived before the proper check-in time and I had no problems with getting the key to my room earlier. Room itself is clean, with comfy bed, good A/C, free tea/coffee and a kettle, but looks a bit dated and some furniture pieces could be replace with new ones. In the morning (7-9am) you can enjoy the continental breakfast, or u can pay extra 10$ for more options (like scramble eggs etc). Free coffee to your breakfast is not the best one, I'm warning you ;) The location of this hotel is perfect - close to the beach, close the centre of the town, shopping centre, museum (worth to take a look), some shops.

We stayed in a ground floor executive room just across from the water. Check in was quick with the friendly staff. Our room did not have parking outside, it was around the other side of our room out the front which was a little inconvenient with luggage. The spacious room was bit dated but nice and clean with a comfy queen bed, good air con, lounge, small dining table and 2 good chairs. There's not much passing traffic and it was nice & quiet at night. The free WiFi worked well. There's a decent restaurant attached and a free guest laundry. We had a good stay with only a couple of issues with some of the cable channels & the bathroom basin tap that tended to squirt water. Overall a pleasant stay and we'd stay again.

Stayed one night. Nice well maintained hotel with very comfortable bed. Restaurant was fully booked so went for local chinese which was great. Hotel is quiet, clean and value for money. Right across the road from the beach and around the corner from main street.

The location is fabulous, it was wet and windy during my stay but the property had a lovely pool which would be great in the hot weather. the laundry facilities are great. it is close to attractions, the city shopping and the waterfront/

Not quite what we expected from other reviews. Old room and a really strong bleach smell. Stayed an extra night due to weather (we are flying) so obviously it wasn't too bad. We saw a number of other motels/hotels which looked more appealing which we would try out next time.

The motel is located very conveniently on the esplanade and our room had a great view of the harbor. We were upstairs on second level (no lift) Bed was comfortable. Everything there that we needed. Free wifi good when connected but continually needed to reconnect due to poor signal (my guess). Room was quiet and we slept well. Foxtel good. I would stay here again for sure but that would be in a similar second level room with view of harbour.

The Best Western in Esperance is conveniently located on the Esplanade, near shopping and services. My room was clean and comfortably appointed, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The (free) wireless internet was excellent, with sufficient bandwidth to support a video call with my wife in the U.S. on Skype. Another nice feature was the guest laundry (also free), which was clean and functional. I would not hesitate to stay at this property again.

The Hospitality Inn is on the Esplanade in the centre of town. Rooms are basic, but comfortable and have all the features one needs. They have a free guest laundry. I enjoyed both breakfast and dinner in their restaurant.

Best Western - located on The Esplanade is THE place to stay for an excellent nights stay. Located right in the midst of 'all the action', the Seniors rate (which includes a Continental Breakfast) is something you cannot miss.

We last visited 3 yrs ago. This time we stayed for 7 nights in the same Executive Queen room as before as we found last time that it had the level of comfort we required at a price we could afford. Room is a little more worn than last time, which is only to be expected, but very clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and obliging, and 'Secrets' restaurant was excellent with good food, reasonable prices and efficient and friendly staff. We saw no reason to eat elsewhere! Our room overlooked the main road and foreshore but due to the double glazing was extremely quiet,

Visited on business. Basic rooms which have a comfy bed and decent tv. Bathroom was old and could do with a refurb. Excellent location and the pier pub/ restaurant next door was great for an evening meal

Driving from Caiguna - good motel, clean, roomy, good location, helpful service and close to the Loose Goose Restaurant. Close to the excellent seaside esplanade. I did not try the dining room but it looked fine.

A lovely large room with very comfortable beds. Great to have a mini bar too. Dinner in the restaurant was exceptional. Food beautiful and the 2 young staff treated us so well. Location. Perfect. We would definitely return to Best Western should we be in Esperance again.

Next to the pier hotel, and close to the sea. Central to pretty much every where. The rooms are fine, clean and fairly large, and well equipped. Check in was fast. The shower pressure was a little low, but apart from that a good place to stay.

Motel room nice & clean, very comfortable, nothing lacking. Bathroom decor very tired but functionality good for what we needed and we certainly didn't expect the Taj Mahal. Only thing missing in bathroom was somewhere to put your soap on the vanity. Cheerful reception & no noisy neighbours.

The staff are friendly and helpful. The price was good. The free laundry was a real bonus. The bed was comfortable. But the shower was mediocre with barely enough warmish water and mildew on the ceiling. A bit of TLC will return this accomodation to a good standard

motel clean and tidy a very good motel very close to the centre of town and reception was very friendly and helpful ,car parking outside the door which is very handy when travelling ,bed very comfortable and clean and a good shower with good clean water after the nullabor its a really good place to get to it has its own restaurant called Seasons which we went to twice in the two days we were here a good place to stay and have your meals and breakfasts .Bathroom a bit small but overall ok.

The location of the Inn is good, central and close to everything you need. The staff were all friendly and helpful with anything I needed. The rooms were good size and the beds comfortable, however it's very noisy, I was kept awake every night by the occupants in the next room watching their TV or talking, sound seems to travel very easily, same if anyone is talking outside. Cold water tap in the shower is very touchy, hard to get the temperature right. All in all it's a decent place but over priced for what it is.

Typical chain motel built in the 1970s-80s; fairly large room with all of the standard fittings and inclusions, but bathroom is a bit awkward. Room was clean and fresh and bed was comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful and location couldn't be much better being on the waterfront and near the CBD. Only had a few minor issues: bathroom is ventilated in such a way that smoke from outside the room gets drawn inside (despite very visible "no smoking" signs on the balcony) and access to upstairs rooms is via a fairly tight and steep staircase which would be an issue for those with limited mobility. Bathroom is a bit awkward, with small cubicles for shower and toilet and mirror at an uncomfortable angle but it all works.

This place is NOT GOOD! Most of the staff were friendly, but that's about where the good side of it ends. Problems were... * Old out of date rooms, that are TINY. * The shower hot water was inconsistent, water pressure was dodgy, the cold shower tap was so touchy it was impossible to get it right. * The bathroom sink was leaking from the plumbing underneath, and by the looks of the stains on the wall it had been doing it for several months! Even when the co called "cleaners" came through they didn't even mop it up. We had to keep a towel on the floor at all times as it was slippery. * ALL of the cutlery and glasses were FLITHY. We had to hand wash everything in the timy bathroom sink before using anything. Even when they did the room up again and replaced them all, they were flithy! * Not all of the items we used (soap, shampoo, toliet paper etc) were replaced when they cleaned the room. Several times we had to go find the cleaners and ask them for supplies. Very unprofessional! * The room itself was very dusty. The base of the TV had maybe 6 months worth of dust buildup on it. Window sills were the same, side tables etc. Disgusting! There are MUCH nicer places to stay in Esperance, fpr the same or lower cost. Never again!

I telephoned in and got a chirpy young lady - and when I arrived, she was most pleasant. The smile at reception is everything - I have stayed in some places of late where people were sour and not worthy of review ... Best Western Hospitality Inn Esperance, looks may deceive. My last stay was a long time back and it was a little crumpled even then... Oldish style, but on opening the door on Room 19... Its bright, its fresh.... a decent sized TV - even a mini bar with chocolate.... (I resisted)... I rate this room as top class - good sheets and pillows and punching above what the external facade shows... don't let the looks deceive ... These people do care... a little card left by the service staff, 'Lacie' to acknowledge she made up the room and also a note if we found any fault - to report it... These touches tell me that management care. Lovely room - rather large and well lit so I can work at my business stuff at proper desk height... Pity I am alone - but that seems my luck these trips... restaurant on site but sadly an event had pre-booked the place for the evening... a good sign but food choice is but a two minute walk to some options... Thanks Tash, (a NZ'er) and Best Western Esperance... That smile goes a long way.

We chose this hotel for convenience on a two night stay over the Easter long weekend. The location is central to the main part of town and has excellent access to the foreshore across the road and there are many restaurants, cafes and bars within walking distance. They also have an onsite restaurant with views across to the bay in which we dined on both nights, whilst not a 5-star restaurant they do have good seafood and steaks. The rooms were clean, a good size and comfortable. Only complaint would be the walls transfer noise easily but we slept well anyway.

My partner and I arrived late into the hotel and left early the next day. I think the hotel is fine for a 24hr stay. Nothing flash, amenities were clean and bed was comfy which is all we wanted. Only downside were walls were extremely thin so you wake up when your neighbours do.

Fabulous location, excellent service, very friendly, helpful staff including dining room staff. Excellent continental/cooked breakfast. Rooms very clean. Highly recommend Best Western Esperance WA. The location across the road from wonderful foreshore vista and landscaping. First class facilities for skating boarding, cycling etc.

We often use Best Western motels and this one met our expectations. Good location, good size room, comfortable bed, decent shower. There was also a small dining table for 2 which we used to make our own breakfast and also for take-away dinner. Price was reasonable. Staff were friendly and helpful.

On the water front right beside town, comes with it's own restaurant, average food but means you do not have to go out after a long days driving, bottle store next door and the main street of the CBD about 200 metres away. View of the port, playground beside the motel. Good sized room but dated, parking at the door, swimming pool in the complex but it was to cold to swim. A great little bakery around the corner, overall and acceptable stay with nothing outstanding apart from the location.

We booked here because of the location, and it is good. Perfect for a night or two. But we were staying for a week and this was not the right fit for us. Carpark view. We asked to be moved but there was nothing available. Bearing that in mind, the room was fine, the bed comfortable, the facilities clean, free use of the laundry, friendly staff and dinner in the dining room was good. We didn't try breakfast as we had our own muesli and bought some bread once we realised the room had a toaster as well as fridge and kettle. It is a good location to walk around the town and along the foreshore.

My daughter & I booked in here for a quick 4 day stay. It is across the road from the beach, next to The Pier Hotel & very centrally located in Esperance which was just perfect for us. Both our check-in & check-out was a breeze. The young lady on reception provided excelled local knowledge on sights to see. No matter where we go, we always ask those with local knowledge for their opinions as the advice is generally worthwhile. You cannot beat it. We had a rear room at the facility, downstairs with a car park. It was clean, private & practical. The only annoyance was the car park being full & having to park our rental vehicle elsewhere but you get that when a place is busy. Early morning starts by workers were no problem for us as we're both early risers but they could be for some. Would we stay here again? Yes, most definitely.

This is the best Best Western I've stayed so expectations weren't high. On arrival there was no trouble to assist with what was needed. The ladies were friendly and kind. The room was clean, the bed linen was super white, the floor was not covered in stains, the grounds around were green and taken care of. Even though it definitely needs an update- it was a pleasant stay. The location is fantastic. Would stay here again.

We spent 2 nights at this motel and found it to be immaculately clean and everything we needed for a comfortable stay was provided (even wine glasses) We had a continental breakfast included in our package and it was all we needed to start our day. I was very impressed with the pancake machine (never seen one like it before). Our only complaint is there are no blockout curtains on the windows. Not the best to have the sun streaming in at 5.09am when you are on holidays,

Our standard room was just that, average size, very clean with a good supply of goodies. The motel is centrally located facing the harbour & newly rejuvenated promenade. A good base if you're here to explore the Capes & plentiful beaches.

This was our first trip to Esperance. The motel is located directly across the Esplanade and close to shops and restaurants. The motel is in an excellent location, but we have a couple of complaints. The window had only blinds and no curtains so by 5.30 am, the sunlight had already started streaming in and it caused us to wake up much earlier than we had intended to. We stayed for 5 nights so this was a big inconvenience. We did inform the hotel reception of this when we checked out and hopefully they will install some curtains to block out the light. My husband was also of the opinion that the pillow cases on his pillows did not smell fresh.

Stayed in a standard room with continental breakfast included . Though our room was at the rear of property , the accommodation is well placed on the Esperance foreshore and is an easy base from which one can explore the amazing Esperance beaches , bays and islands .

Nice hotel in front of the bay - large and comfortable rooms with all facilities - good breakfast and 'Seasons restaurant' very valuable - good meals and wines - good base to visit Ocean road and Cape Le Grand NPark - address to be recommanded

Spent two nights here and we were very comfortable. Clean spacious room. Beds and pillows were good. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The motel has its own restaurant but the two nights we were there it was booked as there were tour buses in. This was not a problem as there was a hotel a short distance from the motel. We were in room 46 which is upstairs and has beautiful views across the road to the harbour. The only downside was the tour buses parked outside of the room below 46 and the upstairs room 46(our room). Not much view was lost upstairs but you could see the top of the buses outside our window.

The good points:- price, location and clean facilities. The bad:- paper thin walls, uncomfortable bed and a Manager who was quite abrupt when we asked if she could organise for our air conditioner to be fixed and later when we asked some general questions her demeanour had not improved. Also if you use the motels restaurant for breakfast don't touch the breakfast menu (of which there is only one) or you will be reprimanded by the restaurant manager. If you want a Fawlty Towers experience this is the place.

So where do i start?.....as we are locals in esperance and live a fair way out of town we decided to book a standard room and stay for a night. The staff were very friendly but after i checked us in and walked into our dingy room i regretted it instantly the room had a stale cigarette and alcohol smell also the heater didn't work and it was freezing out!! The shower was hot/cold hot/cold and was pretty much a trickle of water may as well asked them if i could borrow their hose!! Even tho it was only one night i would go back and pay and pay another $139.

Great location on the Esplanade over looking the beach and play grounds. The main shopping area is a short 5 minute walk and close to a number of eateries and cafe's . A number tourist locations all within walking distance which makes it ideal , good for families or the single traveller. Hotel has all of the needed requirements, with friendly and helpful staff. One of the better positioned hotels along the Esplanade and far enough to be out of the hustle and bustle . Visited in a reasonably quite time so not very busy , but would assume very popular in the summer months.

Good location on the bay. Close to shops and to a variety of dining venues. On site restaurant, BBQ and free laundry. Tidy pool area, but closed over winter. Free wifi. Comfortable bedding and off street parking.

This motel has great rooms. They are a good size, clean and comfortable. The room I stayed in had a queen size bed with a 2 1/2 seater lounge and a small table with 2 seats. The pier hotel is right next door if you want a pub meal and a beer, however the restaurant at the Best Western serves good meals. There is parking at this motel and it is right across the road from the bay. I would definitely recommend this motel to others.

Yummo. Arrived in Esperance and wanted a nice meal and that is what we got. Seasons Restaurant at The Best Western in Esperance. Great/friendly service. Excellent food. Well priced. Lovely view across to the boat harbour. Great coffee and I am fussy. Just what we wanted after a days drive.

Very nice room. As it was upstairs, we had a good view of the activities in the harbour. Opposite the park and beach, and ideal for a lovely stroll, and close to town and other amenities. We chose to dine at the hotel next door, so can't comment on the restaurant.

Very convenient just walking distance to shops. Staff most helpful.The pub next door was a very noisy on one occassion. Lovely rooms ,you can make your own breakfast as most things are supplied. Good value for your price of the hotel. recommended for everyone

Best Western was clean and close to the town center. I went there 3 times for work. Each time the staff were helpful and courteous . I would recommend the best western for a average priced stay. Esperance is great to visit

This hotel is in a great location, only a short walk into town, next door to a pub and across the road from the port. The hotel is a bit old but very well maintained and very clean. The rooms are quite large with modern bedding and a flat screen tv. The service from reception through to housekeeping is excellent. We dined at the restaurant which was also excellent.

This accommodation is very good value, well located for all facilities & needs in Esperance. The staff were very good, rooms well appointed, comfortable and very spacious. I will come back on my next trip to Esperance.

This is your quintessential sea-side hotel, dated from the 70's I would think, but it's pretty expensive. The staff were all very friendly, the rooms tidy, an ok restaurant, but its not the place to go if you are looking for a bit of a luxury. It doesn't pretend to be anything but what it is, but it's straight over from the beach and only a few minutes walk into the centre of town, bottleshops, restaurants etc. Probably a good place to stay when on business.

The room was clean. It's expensive for what you get, especially in winter which is about 3 star. It's located near the water which is nice. Not the friendliest staff but if your just looking for a place to crash it's easy to find and close to the town centre.

Motel-Australia is the salient characteristic of Oceanic hospitality. If you travel by car it is a blessing. Europeans have not discovered it yet but they do not have the ambulatory culture of Americano-Australians. The particular motel offers fine rooms and quality, a funny fenced swimming pool as if containing sharks, courteous but staccato reception attendants, a 'romantic restaurant' and that is about it. The location is the singular asset and what is essentially offered as room quality. They overprice it though.

From the outside this hotel does look a bit dated but the rooms are surprisingly spacious and modern. Complimentary laundry services and wifi are an added bonus. Great location at the bottom of the main street - walking distance to shops, restaurants and supermarket etc. Directly across the road from the beach.

The room was clean, everything worked (internet kept dropping out) and the location of this hotel was close to the foreshore, and harbor. Nice to have a toaster in the room too! The air-con was new, quiet and easy to use. Not much to complain about-nice change for a Southwest hotel.

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights on our trip across to Perth. We were warmly welcomed by the very friendly staff. The room was clean and very comfortable, however there was a bit of disturbance to our sleep on the second night from a trailer load of pigs which had been parked beside the next group of units (unknown to the staff). The motel is in a quiet location within walking distance of the main street (and a great fish and chip shop).

A rather over priced 1960s style motel .It may have been done up a bit but does not hide the fact it is old .The free WiFi was slow. The bathroom had plenty of mould in it . At least the bed was comfortable. Would not stay again .

Great room clean and comfortable. Free WiFi bit slow. Staff very accommodating, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Meals were excellent with a very good menu. Even the room service menu. The little restaurant attached was very good. Will stay again.

I stayed at Best Western early last December. It was a great location with the foreshore just across the road, and places to eat and stores to buy necessities not very far away. The bedding was clean, the room reasonably sized, and the WiFi was great. I'd stay here again if we came back.

We stayed in the superior room Ocean front-what a view-just beautiful! Nice staff and I would have to say, it was one of the cleanest rooms we've stayed in. The rooms had everything you could want, including Foxtel, air con and tea/coffee and milk. Luckily we stayed on the second floor because I think it would be too noisy on the ground level as cars park outside the rooms. Our son stayed in one of the side rooms and had trouble sleeping because of cars coming and going at different times and a noisy fridge. It's not the fault of the hotel that some people are selfish dimwits! Anyway, we would recommend this hotel but maybe pay the extra for the upstairs room-the view is worth the extra!

I stayed in this hotel few times with last 3 weeks and the room was very nice. The room arrangement was really beautiful. The WIFI connectivity was superb. One bad thing, the water pressure was really bad for shower. Not really good. The restaurant was really good as well.

Bit disappointed that the price on google map was not honoured but the lovely manager did give a discounted rate because of this. Super friendly staff who were only too happy to help and chat. Great location within walking distance to town and all amenities and a park across the road. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Manager kindly put us in the room she considered would be the quietest because of having a child and we were not disturbed at all even though the place looked to be fully booked. Many thanks

After a very poor choice of accommodation at the Great Southern Hotel in Northbridge (see my separate review just lodged) this place was heaven! Very modern unit, very clean, very new, great bed and shower and a marvellous beachfront view. Room service meal was first class. Just one night - would loved to stay here long term.

The staff were very welcoming on arrival and helpful with shops in town. The rooms were spacious and clean. Pressure in the shower was great. Check out was also friendly and quick, given how busy the staff were. They remained unflustered and cheerful.

Booked a double room and got what I expected. Great location and secure parking outside the room but on the expensive side considering the accommodation offered. Good size room; comfortable bed; clean & tidy; bathroom clean but shower hot water very erratic! Free internet not working. Receptionist somewhat officious.

This was our second stay here. Picked this motel primarily for its location. It's right next to the Pier Hotel/pub, shops & cafe's just around the corner and across from the ocean. We had downstairs rooms at the back of the property which were not as nice as the single storey rooms. They were clean and bright but the shower was small and dark & the water temperature fluctuated from hot to cold most of the time. Comfy queen sized bed. Tea & coffee making facilities & free WiFi. Did find it a little noisy from upstairs rooms and also walls seemed very thin. Would stay here again.

It's located just across the road from the harbour which affords a very pleasant stroll from the short jetty to the original Tanker Jetty. We arrived to a friendly welcome. With some regret, the receptionist told us that Esperance is shut after 4pm on a Saturday ... and all day Sunday. She was right! We checked into room 13 having parked right outside. It's opposite the pool. It was very quiet. Just as well as the walls are quite thin. Everything we needed in the room. A well-stocked mini bar, tea and coffee making, hairdryer, functioning aircon and free wifi for up to three devices. We booked a table in their Seasons restaurant and requested a table overlooking the bay. Very comfortable restaurant and, looking out over the bay, I could also enjoy the photo slideshow on the plasma behind me reflected in the big picture window. All great photos, some of which were taken by professional photographers and some contributed by guests. We recognised some of the coastal views we'd seen earlier and they gave us a good idea of what to expect in Cape Le Grand's Lucky Bay that we'd planned to visit the following day. Very good meal for the two of us came to just under $200. Not cheap, but we had a couple of G&T's, the recommended wine of the month, bruschetta to share, starters, mains and puddings. I'd not eaten Gummy Shark before or had Sticky Date pudding. I liked them both. Comfy bed and a stroll on Sunday morning confirmed that shops were all shut. I'd stay there again.

Great spot, easy walk to town and the beach. Comfortable rooms at a reasonable price. It is right next door to Pier hotel, we had a back room and so didnt hear any noise from the bar which has bands most weekends. could be a bit noisy in front rooms.

Stayed for two nights, great hotel and location. The staff were nice as were the rooms, all nice and clean . Bonus in laundry free machines .there were plenty of tv channels and a well stocked mini bar. It's right across the road from a beautiful green park and beach. Good location right in the centre of town. I would recommend this place.

I wasn't expecting anything special but a good quality hotel and this is what we got. The location is really very good, there is good parking and the room was spacious and clean. Check-in was easy and fast, as was check-out. Wifi is working but is a bit slow and sketchy. If you are there, for food I recommend the Pier Hotel (just next to the Best Western) and Ollie's Café for breakfast (my first decent coffee in Australia).

Just had four days here on business and have to say that this hotel was incredibly friendly, the staff were always wonderful to deal with, check in was super, managers Ces and Carol were wonderful, rooms were spotless and the breakfast was absolutely lovely. i would thoroughly recommend staying. Well done and keep up all your hard work guys, its showing how hard you put yourselves into your business.

We were a bit wary when we pulled up outside the motel as it is on The Esplanade and across from the ocean so we thought it would be really noisy - traffic and people. First surprise was that we were upgraded to a lovely big room on the second floor (with complementary continental breakfast) at the front of the property AND it was quite quiet - hardly any traffic or pedestrian noise and we had a window open our whole stay! Traffic dwindled to very little as the night wore on. The reception staff were very friendly answering all my queries and giving directions and advice on sightseeing. It was also very competitively priced! The room was large with arm chairs (but had to turn the TV around as it was opposite the bed which it faced), a table and chairs, a desk, fridge etc. The ensuite was a good size with the exhaust fan a bit noisy. Overall, a lovely room and a great stay. Would definitely stay here again and for longer next time!

It;s located right on the Esplanade to take full advantage of the views of the bay not to mention the breezes. I din't use WiFi but the free computer in reception satisfied my needs.I asked for and got a quiet room away from the noise of passing guests and cars.My breakfast was delicious with prompt and friendly service -the same can be said for the reception staff. A nice touch was the provision of mini jars of superior jams -a nice change from those awful sachets.Its a very short walk to the centre of town,

Often I read reviews describing location, this Best Western has location to burn, often it is the food, again great food in this establishment but I want to acknowledge the staff, everyone of those I had contact with and they number about a dozen. My TV wasn't able to provide Foxtel so I contacted the Front Office and over the next half hour I had three staff work on establishing the Foxtel contact. In the end, it meant that they provided a new TV for our room. Not a murmur of discontent, all staff endeavoured to give positive support. Later in the day, two staff checked with that everything was OK and next morning staff again checked. I certainly would recommend the Best Western Esperance without hesitation and look forward to my next visit

We booked this hotel because of its location and it advertised free wifi. We couldn't get wifi in our room and called reception 8 times to complain. Each time we got a different excuse - wifi in Esp was down, their provider iinet was having issues, they rebooted/changed our passcode, their Perth IT was working on it but they'd closed for the day. Bottom line - if you want wifi, you have to sit in their office and it works great. But they won't tell you that up front.

it was our first visit to Esperance with my gf and we were really exciting to visit this beautiful part of Western australia. We picked the Best Western Esperance for our stay. Hotel staff is nice enough but avoid ordering poached eggs for breakfast since you will get them scramled, hard boiled still in shells but not poached- we tried 3 morning in a row... wifi is useless, 75% drops out and when it comes back on the transfer speed is comparable to old times dial up.. we had no chance to set our shower water temperature right either.. each time we got it right it then switched to ice cold.. reception lady was lovely and very helpful.. coffee is good too.. overall i would rate it 6/10 and it would be 9/10 if wifi and hot water sys had worked and they knew how to cook poached eggs given they charge $21 for them.. bathrooms are very outdated too(you feel like back in 80's)..

Very well located at the waterfront - but don't expect a water view from all the units. Good bed and shower, which was all we really wanted for an overnight travel stop. Plenty of room to move. Good, free parking.

Maintenance of pool and grounds and service from staff was great. People got in the pool briefly but people could definitely enjoy it. Rooms were clean and quiet for majority of time. However walls were thin so you could hear doors closing and conversations clearly through the front door wall and side walls. It would depend who your neighbours are - ours were good. Bathrooms outdated but clean. Downside was we didn't sleep well due to what we perceived to be a large amount of light let into the King Executive rooms. If light doesn't bother you, location was good and next to well rated Pier Hotel.

This Hotel is excellent. Very close to town. Staff are extremely helpful. The Pool is wonderful and super clean. The Restaurant is beyond compare. Price is highly comparable for this town. Across the road from the town beach and esplanade walking trails.

I honestly went to this motel not happy. I had made an error thinking they had a 24hr cancellation policy as the other motels I had contacted had this policy. This was my error however and when I rang to cancel the booking (first thing the day before we were to check-in) I was told that we would still be charged for the room. Unfortunately our old dog was not in a good way and we wanted to return home to check on her. We had spent our previous 2 nights 3 mins up the road at the Bay of Isles (who have a 24hr cancellation policy, which is where I got confused), and they were wonderful and friendly so to then be told in a "matter of fact" manner that they would still charge us no matter the circumstance we were forced to stay there. It was a bit like a kick in the teeth after the brilliant service we had just received at the Bay of Isles but they forced our hand and got $240 plus $3.50 credit card fees which I know is minimal but the Bay of Isle did not charge us this, so they may have got a nights accommodation out of us but that is all they will ever receive from us as they were just so unreasonable. Anyhow I wasn't expecting to be happy but I will say this: It's 3 mins up the road from the Bay of Isles, it is $40 more a night and to pay for this privilege you get a less quality room (it's old maintained fairly well, but old - bathroom right out of the 70's), a smaller fridge (it had a mini bar but not fully stocked only non-alcoholic beverages), which was moot for us (not getting another penny from me), a smaller TV with less options, a noisy ac, very difficult free wifi but had to go to reception to work it out and connection dropped out often, the linens were not great quality and one towel had dirt mark/stain on it, smaller hairdryer and the worst shower curtain ever, considering they don't cost much get a new one, ours had dirty marks all over ours - gross. So in general the room wasn't too bad but definitely not 4 stars as suggested - be at the most 3 stars. Folks do yourself a favour and walk 3 minutes down the road to the spotless Bay of Isles which is family friendly with country values and save that extra $40 on a nice bottle of wine. Fortunately for us our nephew was able to stay with our ailing old pooch. Hope Best Western enjoyed our $243.50 as that's the last dime you'll get from me.

Spend there few nights. Place is very basic and comparing to the price I expected a bit more. Rooms however are clean and tidy and staff (ok, most of it) very friendly and helpful. Location is good, right at the center of town, by the beach museum and park.

Esperance looks like quite a pleasant town and the cliffs and beaches to the east were spectacular. It is only a pity that the weather was so bad when I stayed - cold, wet and windy. The motel was warm and comfortable, well able to cope with what nature threw at it. I was in a ground floor room which was large enough and comfortably furnished (if not exactly chic or ultra-fashionable). The was a strange sort of slope at the door which might make wheelchair access difficult. The view over the beachfront was good (despite the weather) but an upper floor room may have been better. Food was decent. Free Wi-Fi with a good connection. I have half formed plans to return to Esperance, hoping for better weather, and sould definitely consider staying here again

The motel is in a great location across the road from the water and next door to the pub and around the corner from the shops. So position is a bonus. As for the room it was clean and comfortable but for $180 it is way over priced, even though it was peak time. The room is average in size with an old style bathroom so nothing flash. Staff are friendly and there is pool.

Just a motel Great location but 9am room service on a Sunday..growled at staff...oops 2 min walk to pier hotel for great meals and a short drive to Taylor Street afe for a great breakfast. Basic and dated room. Tight parking

Room was clean, staff were friendly. Nothing special but you get what you pay for nothing more nothing less. Great location on the esplanade within walking distance to other hotels and restaurants. Good example of how to run a budget hotel without bells and whistles but still maintaining a clean and tidy hotel.

We stayed for 2 nights (initially booked for 3 nights, but because of the bush fires we left earlier). The room was ok but nothing special. The bed was good but the shower wasn't. I couldn't really take a proper shower because it went from steaming hot to icy cold. When I mentioned this to the staff the lady said, yes we know about it, it happens when more people take a shower at the same time. This should be a concern, most people will shower around the same time because the check-out time is the same for everyone, 10am! We had dinner at the restaurant belonging to the motel. We ordered steak but the chef didn't cook the steak the way we wanted it (plus it took an hour or so to cook rare steaks, while there was only one other guy in the restaurant!). The steaks went back to the kitchen but what we got in return was even worse, it wasn't eye fillet (as advertised) it was really not good at all (For $33 a meal you can expect a good meal right?). We didn't eat anything at all, but weren't offered a refund or discount. Bad service all in all, we won't go there again.

We wish we had been able to stay more than the one night here, the staff were helpful despite the fact there had been local bush fires for around a week. Room was comfortable, nice bed and shower was better than most hotels. Breakfast (continental) was reasonably priced as was the evening meal.

I have to say my experience and overnight stay with this motel was above my expectations Sunday 22 November. Booking was made via booking.com (in which I love this site). On check-in the young girl that greeted me at reception was so friendly (I didn't get your name - but you would know who you are) to the friendly and smiley young man that delivered my room service dinner and to Carol in reception who finalised my departure the next morning. Even though you were flat out - you were very friendly and professional too me. Room 2 that I stayed was very clean and modern and I loved it. I flat safe and this room was very comfortable. I was only disappointed about one thing - I couldn't be accommodated for the next night but you did try Carol ?? and I did appreciate you trying. With the fires that were happening in Esperance I knew I would be pushing my luck and was hopeful that you would get that cancellation that never did eventuate. I would have no hesitation in returning guys. Thumbs up ??????????

I was on a trip from Perth to Adelaide. I booked ahead from Wave Rock Motel for 1 nights accommodation. The the receptionist who answered my call was ever so nice and efficient. On arrival I was impressed with the quality of the room and surrounding areas were so clean, I decided to give myself more time in and around Esperance so asked if I could book another night again my request was greeted with efficiency. Breakfast was sufficient not a great selection but what was there was good quality. The room and the bed were very comfortable and the location just over the road from the lovely boardwalk along side the ocean was very refreshing. Loved Esperance and would most certainly stay there again.

This is a typical motel and a good choice in Esperance. It is located just scross the renovated quay and in the city centre. Restaurant attached to the motel is of good quality. The overall stay was pleasant.

This hotel is in a perfect location directly across the way from the esplanade. We had food in the pier hotel bistro which is right beside it and our meals were great. Room was very clean and our bed was very comfortable. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the room.

Very well located motel in centre of town with the ocean across the road. We found it very quite. Rooms were well appointed. Large modern pub was located just up the street with dining rooms, bistro and entertainment. Esperance is a neat and tidy modern looking town located on the water with many picturesque sites to see. Good place to visit and stay.

We did the drive from Adelaide to Esperance and we were really keen on a nice comfy accommodation and they totally delivered. We had the first diner there, the service was really good. Staff are really friendly and ready to help. The room is big. Bed is comfy. I would recommend it and would go back there

Viisted Esperance on business in September and stayed a night here. Room was clean although bathroom a bit dated it too was very clean. Beautifully comfortable bed and was all I needed. Located across the road from the beach and also next to centre of town. Enjoyed a lovely dinner in my room which was well presented and cooked to perfection. Not seen in any other country hotel was the availability of fresh and real coffee from the reception/bar throughout most of the day and evening. A big takeaway cup at a reasonable price of $4. The experience was great value and I will stay there ever future visit.

Room was comfortable had a new air conditioner but decor and bathroom could do with a makeover a little dated. Location was excellent could see the harbour from the window and Main Street in the town within walking distance. Overall would recommend eventhough a little drab and dated room was clean and comfortable.
