A Memorable Hotel Experience
Making reservation on ferry while crossing from Kingston is usually not recommended, but it worked for us for a last minute stay. The night shift desk person was friendly and helpful. Morning breakfast was hot and fresh.
Clean, affordable, and great customer service. breakfast included and you could make your waffle and burrito. They have a heated pool as well. I love that this place is dog-friendly as we travel with our senior dog.
We stayed here while in Edmonds for a concert. The rooms are fine but the hotel building is sort of run down. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The parking lot is away from the lobby so it is necessary to travel through maze-like hallways on the way to the room. There is a nearby train track which is common in hotels near the water. I did hear the train at night but I slept fine. The location is good for visiting Edmonds. It is a little difficult to find the hotel. One route has you approaching it via the parking lot of other businesses. We went out to brunch so did not try the breakfast.
I needed a nice hotel for a one night stay prior to a cruise out of Seattle. The BW Edmonds Harbor Inn was clean, quiet, well located to the harbor, with fast check in and an above average breakfast. My only gripe was the cost. It was at a cost point of a luxury Resort type hotel but it's located in a business complex.
This is an older hotel, but kept up fairly well. The rooms are nice, beds and pillows are comfy. Sheets and towels are scratchy. There is a pool as well. They allow pets, so that's a bonus.Close to downtown Edmonds, the beach, the marina and the ferry. Lots of nice food options close by (walking distance or very short drive). Nice place to stay, would recommend.
Good enough. nice rooms and a good hot breakfast. Free parking. A beach for taking a walk on a beautiful day. Lots of road noise surprisingly. Great location for staying the night if taking an early morning Edmonds ferry.
We enjoyed our 3 night stay at this hotel while visiting our son nearby. The included breakfast was very nice and had everything you might want to eat.Best included breakfast bar I have ever seen with good hours for early risers. It is dog friendly but has a separate floor for those of us allergic to animals. The pool is nice too. The breakfast bar has a great espresso machine making Latte type coffee. I will definitely stay here again next time.
I frequently like to go whale watching out of Edmonds and I always stay here. Most recent was early August 2023. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Especially when I thought I had lost my wallet! I don't do much else in Edmonds but it is close to the marina (basically walking distance) and near the ferry. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. And the big thing for me is the AC works great!
From the moment we walked in until we checked out our stay was amazing. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We were treated like family. We walked to the Ferry and beaches. We watched the sunset several nights. The shops in Edmonds were very relaxing.
We stayed at this hotel a few years ago, so we knew it was a nice location when selecting it again. There are some nice restaurants across the street, and we got a lovely sunset from the beach while walking home. Even though we were visiting "Seattle", it was fairly easy to get in and out of town. There are two Level 2 EV charging stations, which is a definite plus for those of us with EV's.
The AC was not good. The front face of the unit was falling off and it did not keep the room cool. It was muggy and felt gross. The beds were extremely firm and uncomfortable. The overall look and feel of the hotel was extremely outdated. We paid $280/night for this hotel and I'm convinced we only paid for location. In any other location, a room like this would go for $120/night tops.
Room was clean, but had a slight musty smell. Staff not the best kinda seemed like were bothering them as they went through the check in process. Showers are short with soap dispensers making it difficult to was hair. Bed was comfortable.
Nice enough place. Good location. Dinner with 2 acquaintances nearby; no itching whatsoever. Bed at 10:00, woke up at 1:00AM with severe itching, photographed the bites (see below), showed the desk clerk, checked out at 2:30AM. GM said not "bedbugs." Room was "inspected." Name of inspector unavailable, "proprietary information." No reduction at checkout.
Had two rooms in a block for a family wedding. Staff was incredible, rooms very clean, and pool/hot tub didn't disappoint! Kids enjoyed breakfast and I enjoyed the latte machine! Staff went above and beyond.
Our family of 5 got two double Queen rooms and had a wonderful experience. Beds were very comfortable, clean rooms and a nice full breakfast each morning that is served from 6:30-10:30am. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Especially want to recognize Joseph who was on the overnight front desk several nights we were there. He went above and beyond to help guests, was very professional and clearly a hard worker. Highly recommend this hotel and the Edmonds area as a good base to explore Seattle and San Juan Islands (we took ferry from Anacortes and spent the day in Friday Harbor.
This hotel is the only game in town if you want to stay walking distance from the pier and downtown Edmonds. We were slightly disappointed that it was not on the water since based on the photos we thought it was. Regardless the hotel is in an excellent location walking distance from everything there is in Edmonds. My room, 351, was clean with a king size bed and a separate living room with a pull out couch. The bathroom was large with a huge vanity and lots of storage. The breakfast was actually nicer then the average Best Western and had a good variety and good quality. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
This was a really nice hotel and perfect for my stay in Edmonds. I could walk to downtown and didn't need to use my car at all. The internet was fast and the breakfast was excellent. There were a lot of choices for breakfast so I could save money on food when I was out during the day. The beds were actually very comfortable too and the staff was helpful.
My four star review is for the location and general conveniences in the hotel. Our room was not 4 star. This hotel is close to waterfront, close to the Main Street and shopping and has good parking. The lobby is a little hard to find because the building is oriented away from the water on a side street. The staff were nice and the breakfast was fine. Typical complimentary breakfast fare, with eggs, potatoes, a breakfast meat, biscuits and gravy and pastries. One thing other people really liked was the espresso machine next to the coffee in the lobby, although I didn't try it. We received housekeeping service after our first night, which was nice. I haven't had a hotel do that unless requested since COVID. The shampoo and conditioner and body wash are in dispensers in the shower (I like that--no tiny bottles). There was a hair dryer. There is a pool, but I didn't use it. The beds were very comfortable and our 2-queen-bed room was tidy. But our room could have used a little TLC. The negatives were that we discovered our first morning that the coffee maker (a single serve design) was jammed, so we couldn't have coffee in the room the first morning. It was either replaced or fixed after we brought it to management's attention (the person at the front desk said, "I know what's wrong, I can fix it!"). But the lowest point was that our room (226) smelled of mildew or mold. It was not overwhelming, and we only noticed it when entering the room from elsewhere--every time. The smell was not in the hallway. And we did visit friends in another room, and they did not have the same problem. To be fair, the hotel management did not have the opportunity to address the problem. We did not ask for another room because we knew the hotel was full, and we were busy, but it was a little unpleasant. So, I would book here again because it's the only hotel near downtown, and I am generally happy with my stays in Best Westerns, but I would want to check in early so I could request another room if I got one like this one. And I would check the coffee machine to be sure it was in good working order!
The convenience of being close to the ferry terminal as well as many dining venues make this a good stop. I have done a lot of living in hotels for business and travel and I do have a few quirks that I look for. This met most. The beds seem to be trying to see how high they can be made..as an older traveler. It can be a challenge to climb UP into bed. Not a big fan of these high beds...that aside, the bed was comfortable. The big thing for me was the air conditioning unit was next to Inoperative. NO COLD air to be found. The staff was helpful and courteous. Overall a thumbs up.
Way too expensive for this tired looking hotel. Had to wait for check in until receptionist got off of the phone. Room was satisfactory. Vending machine no working. Breakfast area was packed and they had to get more table and chairs out for seating and we ate out in the front lobby.
You couldn't choose a better place to stay near the water. Outstanding restaurants within walking distance and close to the Edmonds/Kingston ferry to WA peninsula. You can make a vacation here without a rental car. Just find a SEATAC hotel shuttle. It's an awesome place.
If you want to enjoy the beauty and charm of the town of Edmonds Washington, this is the place to stay. In a rush, enjoy a comfortable stay and start your day rested with a free filling hot breakfast offering an abundant selection of entrees. Then you will have easy access to Ferry, Train and major interstate highways. Enjoy, we did and I'm you will too.
This hotel is in a wonderful location. The car ferry system is just a few blocks away. Sound transit is near by and sometimes runs. Though I felt I was herding my family like a herd of cats, the staff were very helpful.
Super impressed by one staff member holding down the fort during the recent ice storm. Mike totally took care of the guests while also tending the front desk and the breakfast. The hotel was nicely decorated for Christmas and this added some cheer given the extreme weather outisde.
A quick trip to visit family and we chose this location close to the Edmonds/Kingston ferry... a very good location! The staff here are courteous and helpful . Our room was a bit tight but it was only one night....without two kids and Christmas shopping, it would have been fine for two adults. There were enough pillows and blankets'. The heat was easily controlled and the beds were comfortable. This is a good choice for family, busines or pleasure !
Comfortable room & bed, clean and well kept hotel. Very festive with the holidays coming. Breakfast room was well stocked and clean. Staff helpful and nice. I have bad allergies that affect my asthma. I asked the front desk if they had hypoallergenic pillows. They offered to get me clean encasements which helped a lot! Only negative is very thin walls. Could even hear neighbor yawning.
Looking for a clean, quiet, economical place to unwind in the North Puget Sound Area, Best Western Plus Edmonds Harbor Inn is just what the doctor ordered! Staff is friendly, professional, and helpful. The rooms are clean and quiet. Breakfast is excellent and included in the price. No additional price for parking your car. You are near lots of relaxing things to do at the Edmonds Waterfront including restaurants. The perfect place to recharge your batteries.
Best Western Plus is Very nice hotel in every way.; easy parking, friendly & informative check in. Very nice room, with plenty of coffee & sundries; lovely bed linins on a very comfortable bed. I wish they had a small bar for a cozy cocktail.
This is a great location. Easy to get on the ferry, get on I5 and to downtown. I'm taking a star away for the housekeeping. I admit I'm a little anal about housekeeping since COVID but there was hair in our tub and the room was very dusty. There is a great little pub right behind them that you can walk to (don't let the reviews sway you- it's very good!). Breakfast is standard fair. But well stocked is constantly monitored for replenishing. The employees we encountered were all friendly and smiling.
This "Plus" version of a Best Western property easily outshone a "Premier" version we'd stayed at recently! The pet-friendly room (245) is well designed so that a business person who has to stay a week can easily manage. There are ample shelves and drawers, and several more horizontal surfaces (for luggage and belongings) than you usually find at this lodging level. They provide a real window that can be opened enough to air out the room. Staff are friendly and helpful, especially the morning breakfast attendant. They welcomed the dog with a treat and a toy that she continues to play with! Our upstairs neighbors were especially energetic, so next time we'll ask for a top floor room.
Everyone from the GM, desk clerk, and housekeeping (and all the behind the scenes people) were super efficient, helpful and very kind. The hotel was very comfortable, clean, and quiet. We enjoyed our stay. The location was good for us because we arrived on the Amtrak Empire Builder and the hotel is an easy walk across a couple of parking lots. It's in a lovely area. The Edmonds Marsh is an interesting area within easy walking distance and was a nice place to walk and visit. Even though the railroad tracks and Amtrak station are close by, we could not hear any train noise in our room. The complimentary breakfast was excellent! We highly recommend the Best Western Plus Edmonds Harbor Inn. Thank you very much for a wonderful stay.
The cost of this hotel room was exorbitant for the value-room had previous guest items left on the floor, cheap amenities (soaps, etc), paper cups instead of glasses, coffee at breakfast awful, other breakfast choices mediocre.
The Best Western Plus Edmonds Harbor Inn was one of the best hotels I've stayed in and certainly THE BEST in the Seattle area! EVERYONE who worked there went out of their way to be kind and helpful. I was very impressed by Matthew Rosenthal, the manager, who runs a first-rate hotel and set a fabulous example for the staff. Everyone was pleasant, helpful, and efficient.
The Best Western Harbor Inn has consistently been our choice when staying in Edmonds. The rooms are spacious and clean. The continental breakfast is really a full breakfast with varied selections. The staff have always been helful.
Very nice experience on hotel in Edmonds. I would stay there again if can afford it. Nice staff! Clean. decent food and fb snd bathtub which is rare these days! Also great pool as well. I will come again for sure snd will highly recommend!
this hotel is close to the quaint downtown area of Edmonds that has many restaurants and craft/art shops. It is a friendly and helpful community. it is all within walking distance and just a stroll to the ocean.
The hotel staff were friendly and efficient. Room was clean and nicely decorated. The location was great. The breakfast had everything you might want and was delicious. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to anyone.
Awesome area to be in! Walking distance to downtown. Great, clean rooms. The breakfast was phenomenal. Every worker I encountered was absolute amazing and friendly. Definitely staying here next time I'm in town.
Exceptionally clean and quiet. Great location with easy access to local restaurants, parks, waterfront with exceptional view of Puget Sound and the Olympic mountains. Travel made easy with local access to a AmTrack Train station and equally easy access to the Washington State Ferry system.
A lovely hotel in the quaint city of Edmonds, WA, It's near shopping, waterfront restaurants, Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff was b friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast offers many self-serve options and the fool was always fresh.
Towels were old and gritty, felt like motel 6 quality. The toilet seat was so small that it was difficult to sit down properly to do the business. Had to go downstairs to use the lobby restroom which had an updated toilet seat.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was very good for a complimentary breakfast. Location was perfect for us, as we had to catch the ferry. Check-in and check-out were seamlesd. Definitely would stay here again.
Our room was tiny, very very cramped compared to other hotels of the same price range. The bathroom and room itself were very outdated. There were items from the previous guests left behind in the room and it had a musty smell. The staff gave us attitude. The breakfast was okay and it does have an EV charger which is convenient. But for such a nice area and such a high price it was very disappointing overall.
I found the room to be stale and it had a musty smell. There was no bedding for the sofa bed and when I went to get some they gave the very minimal and no pillows, so we needed to take off the main bed. The sofa bed was not level it felt like there was a bar across the middle. It is in a nice location.
VERY clean, comfortable, great breakfast, nice pool and spa with the best towels I've ever seen at a hotel. Feels very homey. Staff was excellent, professional, friendly. Close to downtown, waterfront, and the park. Something for everyone. Would definitely stay again.
Pretty good accommodations. Walking distance to some decent restaurants in downtown edmonds and the ferry terminal. Their included breakfast was decent too. There was some confusion regarding masking, which I was told was recommended but not mandatory. All in all a nice best western.
The Best Wastern Plus Harbour in was excellent: room extremely well appointe, beds very comfortable, breakfast tasty and well served. This is a well managed hotel with all amenites needed for us,; internet, parking, breakfast, even welcome packages for our dogs. The town of Edmonds is lovely with cute shops, a good choice of restaurants: we have no children so cannot comment on children's amenities.
Nice place to stay if your combining a trip to Seattle and the SanJuan's. Very close to the waterfront and the ferry. Also close to shopping, museums, and restaurants. Just 15 minutes north of the Ballard area of Seattle. Our drive to SeaTac was also easy, we had a flight out at 11:20 am and our drive from the hotel only took about 37 minutes on I-5, a nice surprise. About an hour from Anacortes which is the gateway to the SanJuan's. Also about an hour from Tulip town area.
No matter where a person stays, things change. Just like this motel.. Someone from another room had drilled a hole just under a painting, thinking people wouldn't notice, well we did, but too late. They didn't have any more rooms, very sad.. Staff was kind, but ...Really a peek hole?? And on top of that, we could shut the bathroom door !!! Broken . Told staff, took photo's to show them. Hope the refund money... That's what a good honest place would do... Give a refund. and mostly, fill the darn hole !!!
I've stayed at the hotel a few times over the last 5 years or so. They have friendly, knowledgable staff, the beds and linens are very comfortable, and they have consistently been cheaper than any similar AirBNB in the entire area. Everything was clean and orderly. My daughter and I both needed to work online some while we were there, and the internet worked flawlessly. My one caveat is allergies. The provide an extensive and varied breakfast, including a few vegan options, for examples, but could do better with signage to let people figure out what is safe to eat.
This is a great little BW at the harbour, very close to the ferry. Best part of my great stay was the very welcoming front desk staff, the woman who checked me in was fantastic and really made me feel welcome.
Perfect location in Edmonds, walking distance to restaurants, parks, ferry terminal, train station. Comfortable, quiet rooms, Excellent Breakfast bar, very friendly, helpful staff. I would recommend to travelers to Edmonds area
I love the beach near the hotel. There is also a great little “downtown” within walking distance. Cute shops! Clean and convenient hotel. I recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking to have a nice leisurely (cool) beach trip!
Service and all of the usual things I've come to expect were still in evidence. I think this particular room was plagued with poltergeists or something. First the TV would not work - couldn't find a signal. Front desk person came right away - diagnosed the cable box needed to be reset, which she did with some difficulty (why did they put it in the most difficult place to reach?) So signal was restored - for about 3 minutes, then it lost it again. Reported it again. Nothing else for her to try, so maintenance staff would be alerted the next day. He came around very promptly the next morning. (Desk staff called to let me know he was coming.) So he reset the thing - signal restored again - for about 5 minutes. He was going to contact Comcast which, given my experiences with them, meant it was not going to get fixed any time soon. And it wasn't. For me this was no big deal - I don't watch TV at home, so I really didn't need a daily fix of inane programming and endless "My Pillow" and "cartoon bears obsessing about toilet paper" ads. So fine - they really should get on this, though, as the next person to get this room might have a different, less tolerant philosophy. Next problem was the heating/AC unit. No matter the setting, it kept cycling on and off like every few minutes. Okay, whatever. Stuff happens. Then the radio - I never could get it to work! Stuff happens. I think the room is cursed or something. Other than that, everything was fine.
We loved the location of the hotel. The hotel was nice and clean. The check in staff left more to be desired, but the check out staff was kind. If you need a softer bed, this is not the place for you. It was quite firm and we did not sleep great. The jacuzzi tub was amazing!
The moment we arrived we felt at ease - the fireplace in the lobby, warm welcoming staff, and easy walk to the harbor or downtown was a winning combination. Plus a great hot breakfast in a bright comfortable setting. We really enjoyed our stay! And they had treat bags for dogs.
We got stuck in the ferry line for hours after a suspicious package was being investigated in Kingston. I had just had surgery and my friend and I were returning home but decided to see if there were any vacancies at the Harbor Inn. The staff at the Harbor Inn were so welcoming and accommodating!! We had a wonderful, relaxing stay after a hectic and exhausting day. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I highly recommend this Best Western as a good value and for it's great staff.
Really enjoyed the location, the room and amenities. Staff were very accommodating. Clean, with additional trails and access to the ferry and restaurants close by. Able to easily travel to conference without the stress or traffic of city hotels.
A great location in Edmonds. A very nice hotel which is a very short walk to the Edmonds train station and Kingston Ferry. Downtown Edmonds is also close by. An ideal Hotel location to discover the nice town of Edmonds.
Junior suite with own entrance very accommodating for family with young children during COVID times. Staff was very helpful when extra night needed due to flight changes with weather & schedule changes
Great staff and management. Will be back. Breakfast here is great. Very clean room. Parking was no problem, and room service is very attentive. Recommend staying here if you are traveling to North Seattle bfor work or Edmonds are.
I am a retired travel agent and I think the Best Western Harbor Inn is a great property located in a quiet area. It is very convenient to everything Edmonds has to offer. It is located next to a very nice athletic club which guests have access to.
The location is perfect; close to the beach and pier, shopping and dining. Edmonds is pretty central in the Seattle-Bellevue-Lynnwood area. The Best Western here is very quiet even though train tracks are close by. The walk to the pier is 2 blocks away. There are several restaurants within walking distance and a dog park roughly 1/2 mile down the pier next to a nice park. You can watch fishermen and the ferry jet across the Sound. A lovely place to stay.
Stayed in this hotel for a couple nights for a life celebration at the Senior center. Location, once we found it was great access to the waterfront and restaurants. Hotel is a little older, but seems well maintained and clean. Our room was on the first floor, but didn't have noise from above. Everything worked, including the wifi. Staff was friendly, and had masks to give if you don't have one on, as they are required. Breakfast was above average. Only difficulties was locating this hotel, it is in the middle of a commercial area and finding it the first time was a bit interesting.
We stayed here for a single night after seeing a concert at the Edmonds Center for the Arts. This is a very basic room which is what we wanted. It's clean and quiet. Front desk staff was excellent. It's also a great location for exploring the town. Grab and go breakfast was simple but well done. My only complaint was that the fitness room was really lacking. The recumbent bike did not work. The elliptical was so loud and I knew would disturb anyone in a nearby room. No mats for doing stretching. The weight machine was nearly useless as to its setup in a corner. Generally, worthless. A simple bike and treadmill with a mat would be a huge improvement.
I stay at this hotel for 5-10 days on business almost every month since summer 2021. The internet is spotty no matter what room I'm in, usually getting ZERO internet using their wifi, and no matter the time of day. When you call down to the front desk, usually you're told "they're working on it." Then, after three months of hearing this, I finally confronted the nice girl at the counter, who leaned over and told me it's always been like this, there is almost no reliable wifi in any of the rooms, but I was was welcome to bring my laptop to the foyer, where wifi was better. Another girl told me the owners have been told repeatedly of guest complaints and have done nothing. Also, the standard two queen bed rooms are awful. The counter where the sink is is not in a bathroom and is so narrow it can hold my toiletry bag, but that's it. Everything else has to go on a shelf underneath. The tiny closet has sliding doors that make it difficult to get the ironing board out, let alone access clothes easily. They should have used bi-fold doors. And last, in every room the desk chair is so low, even on the highest setting, that the desk hits me mid-chest, so typing on my (non-internet connected) laptop puts my hands above my elbows. Sorry about the random underlines . . . No idea why that happened. If you need internet for work or recreation, this is seriously NOT the place to stay.
This hotel is hidden away in Harbor Square. little gems are also hidden here, a museum, yarn shop, interesting restaurants. I would have appreciate the receptionist letting us know about these places. Otherwise the hotel is clean, offers a delicious hot breakfast and close to shops and the harbor.
Apparently this property has changed hands. It's clean, has a good free breakfast, and good location, but customer service needs attention. Front desk staff members, in particular, were not attentive. We have stayed at this BW several times a year in the past 12 years, and have always felt like valued guests. This trip we felt like transients. When we plan another visit to Edmonds we'll check out other options.
The rooms were clean but in dire need of updating. The price paid was no where near the quality of the room. The GM at the location could not have been less helpful her team in spite of her leadership or lack thereof was helpful
Biker friendly is what i always expect and get at Best Western. Not so with the night manager on this trip. Higher than average night rate and no microwave along with a wallet sized fridge made this a less than stellar value.
Room was clean, comfortable, and everything was in working order. Service was friendly and courteous. Location was great--a five minute walk into town. Breakfast buffet was very good, but I would have liked more gluten-free options. Fitness center needs upgrading, but I was able to make it work for my purposes. I enjoyed my stay here and would recommend this hotel to others.
The good: Friendly staff Nice pool The bad: The guest rooms have a wavy patterned carpet, with two different heights. If you're not super careful, it's easy to have a shoe get caught on the difference in heights. I fell hard because of this. The room smelled very stale, although that improved with turning on the a/c. The hotel is minimally staffed, so good luck getting anyone on the phone. The internet boots you off repeatedly.
I chose this place because I was going to be taking a whale watching cruise from the harbor the next morning. It served my purposes. Staff was friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. Nothing special, but a good stay.
This hotel is conveniently located near the Edmonds waterfront and the Edmonds main shopping area is a short drive or long walk. Edmonds has dozens of great restaurants, including 4 within an easy walk. There's also a craft liquor tasting room and a museum featuring Northwest art close by. For families with kids, there is a wooded City s park with playground equipment across the street. And, there's a pool and spa as part of the hotel package, plus a fitness room. For boat lovers, the Port of Edmonds marina contains hundreds of sail and power boats to see from the promenade that runs along the waterfront. And, there is access to public beaches by the ferry terminal and just south of the marina. Overall Edmonds is a charming village with an extensive Farmer's Market on Saturdays during the summer. This hotel is the only one near the waterfront and downtown Edmonds so a good place to stay if you want to explore this community. Downtown Seattle is about 30 minutes away.
This hotel is well run and the breakfast is superb! It is an older building and could use a little updating, but it was clean and very comfortable for our stay. I loved that we could open the windows for fresh air! We will be back.
Walking distance to town snd waterfront, but hotel itself looks out on office complex parking lot and large road. Have to walk through breakfast room to get to pool. Breakfast was average. Decor dated and carpet worn.
Good size room ( 2 beds) very comfortable .lots pillows.., big computer desk with comfortable chair, lots of outlets and 2 table lamps. Needed floor lamp for behind easy chair in corner.& some thing to use for placing bathroom./ shower supplies . Window had blackout curtain and AC was wonderful . Had refrigerator but NO microwave, which I really missed. (one in lobby) WiFi very 'sporadic" but front desk people did their best to help. Could have been from "full house' NO grab bars in shower/tub ..reported my concern to front desk on check out...
Nice rooms. I'd go with a suite next time, excellent breakfast with hot eggs and sausage, friendly staff and very conveniently located by restaurants, fun shopping and the water. You can walk to Main Street where the shops are. Cute town!
Hotel was in a very good location close to ferry dock. Maintenance issues really overshadowed stay. Fireplace room was broken. Ice machine broken. The biggest issue was the elevator was under maintenance so spent 1/2 hour carrying luggage from top floor down to car through outside stairway. Very dangerous and do not know what somebody would have done if they were elderly or limited in their ability to climb. Prices are high so you are paying a lot for a hotel that has these issues.
Best Western in Edmonds is in a prime location close to the Edmonds waterfront, has spacious and comfortable rooms, and could offer visitors a truly excellent experience if it would fix its problem with the WiFi in rooms that are not near the lobby. I stayed at numerous Best Western hotels and never encountered such a poor internet connection that was not fixed during my stay in spite of attempts by the hotel staff and conversations with the IT team. These problems notwithstanding, I was impressed by the responsiveness of the hotel staff and hope that the IT team will fix the WiFi and thus allow this hotel reach its potential.
Staff was very helpful for two people making their first city trip in almost 15 months. A problem in the shower in our room was addressed immediately and fixed. The breakfast area was very clean and the variety was plentiful.
It's been a while since I've stayed in a Best Western, and I was REALLY impressed with this one. It had more of a Northwestern Lodge feel to it with really comfortable, clean, updated rooms. The breakfast was extensive and delicious, and the onsite facilities were well kept.
you can't beat the location of this hotel. Just a short walk from the Edmonds pier and downtown. The charm and fun of Edmonds is only minutes away. Our room was clean and very nice. A comfy bed, cozy chair and the fridge and microwave allowed us to have snacks and cold drinks in our room, when we weren't out enjoying the local scene. The one issue we had was the internet. It was spotty. But thankfully, the business center had great service when we needed to do business.
The hotel staff was so nice. Woke up to Mother's Day at the hotel. The staff, all women, all working early and through the morning. I tipped them all. Lovely nature walk and boardwalk to the south of hotel. Last time here I heard coyotes. They were in the marsh. Cool! Not a problem, just some howling at dusk. This time saw eagle, and heron, geese during the day. Things to remember for next time: binoculars, and for the train horns: earplugs, loud morning alarm, white noise on my phone app.
I have stayed at Edmonds Best Western before and it's always been a great place to stay. The only drawback is that you have to pay extra for a room with a microwave and mini refrigerator. The pass for the fitness center has gone up a little but it's still a good price. The staff from housekeeping, breakfast room attendee, to the front desk reps were great.
The hotel is within walking distance to all the best things Edmonds has to offer. Pleasant staff, a well-kept facility, and they've brought back full self-serve buffet breakfast. If you want to spend a couple nights in Edmonds, you likely will be happy if you choose this hotel as your base.
I stayed two nights with my granddaughter for her 13th birthday. We drove everywhere because it was raining but could have easily walked to several restaurants in nice weather. Good location for the harbor, Arnie's Restaurant (excellent food!) and other stores. Due to Covid, the "breakfast buffet" was more of a "grab'n'go" bag with microwaved breakfast sandwich, fresh fruit and bottled juice or water. We actually had breakfast at a couple of local restaurants. Pancake Haus was great! Good food and reasonable prices. Next morning was at Claire's Pantry. Large portions at good prices. Overall a great stay at a nice hotel.
amazing place to stay! clean and friendly. would recommend if looking to stay in the area. we will be back for sure! they were very empathetic to our situation and happy to help any way possible even though it wasnt on them to do so. we couldnt have picked a better place to stay during our visit.
Great lobby reception and all staff members very helpful. Made you feel they are expecting you and happy that you have arrived. Room clean and comfortable. Because of Covid-19, the breakfast room is not operational. The Staff is very alert to get you what you wish for breakfast. We all miss the breakfast room which was the best in the Northwest!
Quiet hotel and easy access from any parking lot you park. Staff was wonderful! The check in was easy and quick. The only bummer deal for me is I thought there would be water views. The hotel does not sit on water nor have any water views available
The hotel was okay for a brief business stay with clean facilities, friendly front desk staff and close to a lot of amenities and a park. I liked the decor but the hotel mattress was a bit harder than I liked. Overall it was a good value for my money and located in a nice waterfront area but was hard to find at night since it is located at the back of a business park. Signage could be better.
Clean, restful, welcoming experience. Recommend. Very Quiet. Everything beautiful. Everyone pleasant. Will stay again for longer length of time. Loved the landscaping and location. Easy to access. Plenty of parking. So happy they are there.
Wow! What a great hotel for the price. Location is perfect - a few long but very walkable blocks to Downtown Edmonds. Beds were SUPER comfy (like, really... we stayed at much "nicer" hotels during our trip but these beds & pillows were the best!). Free easy parking & room access. Great for dogs - there's a big patch of grass right next to the parking lot. We would definitely stay here again!
My husband and I stayed here when he underwent a medical procedure in the area. It was during the pandemic, so many of the amenities were closed or not operating in a usual manner. Also, my sleep quality was not great but that was no fault of the hotel. The decor of the room was not appealing, but that is a personal preference. Overall it was a very clean, quiet and comfortable place to stay. I would stay there again.
You will NOT be disappointed with this hotel if you decide to stay here! Top-quality, friendly staff, over-all amazing! We love this place and are return customers!! Great location, quiet and clean! Well maintained property!
We needed a place close to certain things, this hotel did well for us. It was clean and quiet. Staff were very kind and took good care of us during our stay. We always like to stay at a Best Western if we can over most hotels.
It is difficult to maintain composure in the midst of the current conflicts both over masks and with regard to treating all people with respect and dignity. The staff at the best Western Plus Edmonds Harbor Inn handled all people really well and respectfully. In one particular situation where a woman who defed the mask mandate came and stood right next to me. I was disturbed by that. The front desk (in this case I believe the head of housekeeping), just kindly and gently asked if she wanted a mask. She had already raised her voice about being 100% American. I don't believe being an American will keep you well, but perhaps a strong defiant attitude will. Anyway, I was irritated, but the front desk person both settled the other person and let me feel relaxed that everyone was doing the best they could. Kudos to the staff at BW Plus Edmonds Harbor Inn for keeping the hotel clean and the staff and guests as safe as possible.
I am leaving this on behalf of my best friend - After 3 months my kids and I finally get to put roots down in our own place. Before I go I wanted to take a moment and tell everyone about the amazing place we called home for quite some time. The staff especially Robert the manager are so amazing, kind, professional, compassionate and helpful. From helping navigate daily needs to keeping a safe and clean environment (which isnt easy these days) to the delicious cookies or a cold container of milk this lovely hotel and its staff will make you feel like family. We have traveled a lot and hands down Best Western Edmonds is the #1 best place we've stayed. The location is amazing and serene, the sound of the ferry, the dingy of boats to the sound of laughter of people on strolls nearby this place will definitely relax you. I cant say enough about this breathtaking place but we will never forget our vist and the memories made during our stay. So as much as we will be excited to be in our own home we will miss all of you here, thank you Robert, Michelle, Rita, Nancy, Karen, Maricella, Jeff, Mike,Tom, Alex, Brianna, and many more (I'm sorry if I misspelled any names) and to the owners who are always around making sure their guests are cared for "Thank You".
During these times of chaos it's a breath of fresh air (literally) to be somewhere that makes me and my kids feel like we're home. Not only do they clean, and I mean seriously deep clean EVERYTHING daily (and my son has severe asthma and I am battling cancer) but the staff put the safety and comfort of their guests first. The breakfast is a wide variety guaranteed to fit any desire or need hot or cold choices even gluten free and sugar free options are available. I cant say enough from the moment you walk in to the moment you check out you will always feel comfortable and taken care of with respect kindness and dignity. From my family to the Best Western family "Thank You" thank you for the best 2 weeks in a hotel I've had in 44 years.
Not only was the hotel clean and lovely, the breakfast more than substantial, but the staff was just the best. Everyone could not have been more helpful and friendly. If this staff could be cloned into every hotel in the world, the world would be a much better place. We had a delightful two days! You should know that the hotel is a little hard to find, so it is wise to call ahead for more specific instructions. The new entrance is actually not on Dayton, it is on Sunset.
Very clean, very nice. I found it to be quiet hotel. Nice decor. Very good breakfast. Lots of gluten free options available. Good selection of breakfast items. Our room was very nice. We will stay here again.
Not only ws the spot convenient but the surprise breakfast was the best! Not a surprise to us but we were surprised at how good it was, how cheerful the staff was and they the fact they use real plates and silverware!
We like to take the train from Edmonds to Vancouver BC. The Best Western Plus Edmonds Harbor Inn is a short walk from the ferry, and an even shorter walk to the Amtrak station. The rooms are spacious and clean, the staff helpful, and the breakfast is good. It beats getting up early to catch an 8:00 am train.
I always stay at Best Western when I travel; this was my first stay at this property and I was very happy with every aspect. The room was comfortable; the staff made every effort to accommodate my request for the type of room I needed. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. No DVD player; no microwave. Excellent restaurants close by. Easy access to the ferry.
Stayed here for 2 nights in early November, we stay here once or twice a year, its our favorite hotel. Nice area close to bars restaurants ferry and train. Nice and quiet, clean, with a great breakfast. All staff super friendly..... I always know what to expect when we stay here and it never disappoints. Thanks again, Harbor Inn see you next time!
Its a beautiful place...best stay in awhile we have had that didn't cost a fortune. Best were incredibly comfortable and it was an overall gorgeous hotel. We will be back for sure to stay in Edmonds Wa
The only negative was the desk clerks lack of familiarity with the Apple credit card which is a MasterCard. While it looks different they have been out a few months now and it is time to learn. She was reluctant to accept the card without another card. Other than the checkin experience it was a great property.
Wherever I travel I always try to stay at a BW as they are always of great quality. I am especially happy with this particular hotel. Location was great, easy to find. Edmonds is a small town, plenty of restaurants, cafes around. The water is also close, worth walking down to see. The hotel has chargers for electric cars, superb. Check is was easy, quick. The guy at the front desk was especially great. Thanks for the food recommendation. The room was just perfect. Nice size, comfy bed, great pressure shower. Plus point on the proper coffee mugs. Nice touch I had a really good night sleep. There is a pool outside which seems to be working but as it was freezing cold out there (late November) I did not try. Breakfast was amazing as well I can only recommend this place and would stay again anytime
This place is in with office buildings but is close to the ferry as well as the Amtrak station. Staff was very accomadating and helpful. Easy walk into downtown Edmonds. Prices are reasonable. Room was very clean and very well maintained. Breafast was good with average choices.
Tucked away just off the road that connects the Edmonds ferry landing to the main highway, this hotel (once you find it) offers a very pleasant overnight accommodation. The rooms are large, pleasantly decorated, spotlessly clean. Within walking distance there are several good restaurants as well as a trail through a nearby marsh and a walkway along the waterfront. The breakfast options are varied and range from fresh fruit to frittatas to waffles.
Great location on on the Sound, exceptional staff and a well maintained facility. Excellent complimentary hot breakfast. Gets you away from the Seattle traffic problems. Edmond is a great town! Good choice of restaurants.
We come into Seattle about 3 times a month. We often use the Best Western Plus Harbor Inn, in Edmonds as a place to stay when we have stayed in town visiting friends. The rooms are very comfortable and we have always enjoy the front desk service. This week we arrived earlier than check-in time and were accommodated, even though we totally expected to leave luggage and return at the normal check in time. We use this hotel so often the staff remembers us, which feels like friends welcoming us to their home. We will always stay here in the future.
Really great hotel, close to harbor, restaurants, Kingston ferry, shopping, and downtown. Room was clean and well-kept by housekeeping. Was not able to get late checkout (noon). No safety hand hold bars in shower. Otherwise, highly recommend.
This is a nice hotel, but the location is a little bit weird. From the name, we expected the hotel to be on the waterfront, but that's not the case (in fact, no views from any of the rooms that we could see). The surrounding area is made up of offices, a fitness center, and a few isolated shops -- very few restaurants or pubs close by, although there are several about 10 minutes walking distance at the actual waterfront. The hotel room we had was nice, with a great bed.... super comfortable. Nice lobby too.
We recently had friends visiting and they stayed at this hotel. They said it was quite clean and comfortable and it was easy for us to rendezvous with them in the daytime and evening hours. Breakfast was included and they seemed very happy with the accommodations.
I was here for a conference, and the hotel was located close to the conference center and very close to downtown and the waterfront. Very convenient. Free parking and breakfast included, free wifi. Room very clean and comfortable. I would stay here again,
I chose this hotel for a place close to the water and found this nice town with great restaurants and friendly staff all around town, the hotel is a great stop with nice rooms and Great places to visit near this location.
This already wonderful place to stay just keeps getting better. The front desk service, overall cleanliness and comfortable rooms are top-notch. Nice improvements to the property are constantly being made. Breakfast is wonderful. We stay here for business trips and family visits.
Stayed two nights for a wedding, very close to great restaurants and coffee shops. Walking distance to many things to do and see, very close to the water which was nice. Everyone at the hotel was kind and patient. The free breakfast had many choices including a very nice gluten free selection.
I've stayed here many times, as well as other hotels in the area for work. At first it bothered me how close it was to the train, but I have found that if I'm on the first floor I don't hear it as much for some reason. Anyways, its really nice place, extremely comfortable, great service, in a beautiful area. Lots to do around there. I've made it my main hotel to go to.
I attended a high school reunion gathering in Edmonds, and needed a place nearby to stay for the night so I didn't have to drive home. The Edmonds Best Western Plus filled the bill. The room was clean, nicely appointed, and quiet, and I slept well on a very comfortable bed. Recommended.
This hotel is well run, clean and provides an exceptional breakfast. Staff even went to the trouble of finding me some boxes to put wedding gifts in - clearly an over and above the call of duty effort.
We had a 2 night stay in Seattle and decided to stay north of Seattle Center. Had a dinner with friends in this town so stayed at this location. It was very comfortable, quiet, and safe. It's close to the ferry so you can walk to the walkway by the water and watch the ferry coming and going. Our sight-seeing was specific to downtown Seattle but it's worth the drive to enjoy the coastline and the quaint town.
Nothing fancy about this particular BWPlus but it was clean and comfortable with better than average breakfast fare for the hotel class. The location is near Port Edmonds waterfront with good restaurants within walking distance.
Nice hotel with great service. Located within walking distance of ferry, beach park, beach restaurants and downtown Edmonds and it's charming shops and restaurants. Easy access to I5 in a quiet, charming small town. The ferries and trains horns were not very noticeable in the hotel.
This hotel is a gem in the charming community of Edmonds. The staff is so polite & friendly & the rooms are very nice with recent remodeling. With the nightly rate around Seattle area being half again or more what it is here, I will go here when I can. I travel to Seattle every other week for business so know all the hotels in the entire area. This BW is a stand out, especially for the price, location & great staff.
Friendly staff. Good location. Decent breakfast. Great beds. Only downside was AC which seems to get turned off off at night. Seemed to work fine during the day, but at night it got warmer in the room.
After a lot of research, we decided to stay in Edmonds for our recent Seattle visit and this hotel was just perfect! We booked a kitchenette room, and it was a good-sized, bright room with windows on two walls. The wifi was good and the outdoor pool and hot tub were very nice after a day of sightseeing. We enjoyed the variety of breakfast options (shout out for the fritatta -- it was delicious!) and the all-day coffee, tea and cookies in the lobby. We took the Sounder train into Seattle and back one day, the bus to Lynnwood/Seattle and back another day, and the ferry over to Kingston one morning, just for fun, and they are all within easy walking distance of the hotel. It was nice to not have to worry about driving or parking in the City, as the train and the bus both dropped us off close to the heart of Seattle. We walked to the pier and the beach several times too, to watch the sun go down and to enjoy the ocean breeze, and it just took a few minutes to walk. Edmonds is a wonderful city, very pretty, safe and friendly, and this hotel could not be in a better location -- it's just perfect.
Great hotel, clean, close to Seattle, great breakfast. Staff when we checked in were not the most pleasant, but they did their job. It was a great end to a quick day trip into Seattle from Canada. Would come back again.
It is a clean hotel. Walls are very thin but it is a hotel. Breakfast had a lot of things to pick from. Our towels where not replaced. Glad we had enough for the next morning. 4 total. Front desk employee was very rude when we checked in.
Stayed in a junior handicap suite and it was perfect for us; with all of our gear. Parking was right in front of the door to the room. Will definitely stay here again this is a great place to stay; will be back.
Had a great time at Harbor Inn, we first stayed here back in 2010 and so was great to come back at the start of our Harley tour. Love the lobby and the coffee, great breakfast and excellent room. Definitely would recommend.
We have stayed here a few times over the past few years, in one of the "queen suites". They are in the newer part of the hotel and therefore relitively new and clean. Also they are "outside" so one can enter these rooms without going through the lobby, but so can anyone else, so that may not be a plus for everyone. The only overall problem is limited street access and the multiple "speed bumps" throughout the parking lot. The hotel shares the area with a large gym/tennis club and there is always a good deal of traffic and parking can sometimes be an issue, but there are "hotel only" parking slots marked and usually the gym members respect that. TVs are new/big HD, and cable TV is good but during our stay some channels just stopped working, (sports mostly, not sure why and with just a day to go in our stay, I didn't press the issue). All in all its a frendly, clean place, and with the ferry and railroad quite near, it is suprisingly quite when inside. The room decor could be nicer, feels a little like a cheap furnished apartment, just as it looks on the web site, but the bed and bedding are very nice.
Inexpensive quality stay that's close to Edmonds' amenities namely to downtown and the ferry. Little hard to find at first but not a deal-breaker. Incredible food...really. Clean & comfortable. Thank you
We are seniors who travel to see grandchildren. We come back to this hotel again and again because of the comfort, quiet, and convenience. The rooms are beautifully appointed. The breakfast is amazing. The service is incredible.
Pleasure trip for Family reunion in Cle Elum. Only stayed 5hours before heading to airport which was an hour South. Showers were hot. Beds were very comfy. Since we would miss breakfast we got a nice to Go bag with fruit, granola bag and Coffee or Expresso to Go!
I wanted to stay in Edmonds because it's such a beautiful, walkable town with great restaurants and shops, plus close to my work. The BW+ was clean, newly remodeled, affordable and in a great location! The bed was AMAZING! Good shower. I did not care for the breakfast buffet, but there are plenty of cute coffee shops in town. The parking lot is NOT well lit!! Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would book again.
This hotel is perfect for staying at if you are going on a whale boat trip from Port Edmonds as it's a short walk to the harbour. It has a large car park but you need to get a pass from reception and display it. The reception staff were welcoming and efficient. The hotel has 2 floors and the rooms are spacious with everything you need including a fridge. The air conditioning unit was a little noisy but that's not unusual in the USA. The breakfast is the usual self service buffet with hot and cold food. There are a few restaurants in walking distance to the hotel for dinner. Overall the staff were friendly, room was clean and the location was great for an overnight stop.
We just retired from military and have stayed in hotels all over the country. Free breakfast was spectacular. Staff very friendly. Room very comfortable. Restaurants and ferry walking distance. Area was very beautiful.
We stayed here for two nights as part of a trip down the Pacific Coast highway. We arrived late on the first evening on the direct train from Vancouver, BC into the Amtrak station in Edmonds and we were pleased to find the hotel was an easy, short walk from the station. We found the front desk staff a little less enthusiastic than we might have expected with one exception, when we asked for dinner recommendations -Arnie's was excellent. Complimentary tea/coffee and water (and cookies!) were available across from reception in the lobby area all day, and we were impressed with the breakfast offering, there was a great selection of cereal, fresh fruit, waffles, pastries each morning. The weather wasn't on our side so we didn't use the pool facility, but it's a good amenity for any families with small children staying. Other reviews mention the noise from the train affecting sleep, but we didn't have this experience, our window overlooked the front of the hotel and the main road passing outside. The pier at Port of Edmonds was a short walk away, with great views over Puget Sound. We would probably stay again and would recommend Edmonds and BW Edmonds Harbor Inn as an accessible alternative to staying in the busy city centre of Seattle.
The woman that checked us in was friendly and welcoming. The room was really nice. Updated, clean, well stocked with many little extras. The breakfast was amazing. So many options and everything was fresh. Not the typical Continental breakfast - more like a full service breakfast. Location was right by the ferry queue which was convenient as we were taking it the next morning. The hotel is located within walking distance of many food options. The only drawback of the hotel is that it is right by train tracks. With the ferry coming in once every hour or so and the multiple trains coming thru, it is really noisy with horns. Nothing that the hotel can do about this, but for sure worth mentioning. My sleep was disrupted by this numerous times.
We stay at this location several times a year and always feel at home. We are greeted as if we are valued customers by professional and friendly staff. The rooms are well appointed, the beds are comfortable, and everything in the room works. You can't find a better free breakfast anywhere, with egg dishes, meats, bakery items, fruit, yogurt, and cereals. It's within walking distance of several good restaurants and downtown Edmonds.
If you don't mind LOTS of train noise then this is the place for you. If you have problems walking and need to get to the ferry it is not within walking distance for someone with a problem. Was told it was only a block or two. Turns out it is over 0.6 miles.I asked if they had a shuttle and they said Uber would be better because I may be waiting all day for the shuttle. I guess that is a way of saying they really don't have a shuttle like they said they did. Lesson learned. I did not call the 1-800 number, I called the hotel directly. I was still given wrong information. The window seal was cracked so it was hard to see out of. No worries, there is a view of nothing. I was told about a beach view. The lobby looks great! The rooms, not so much.
I stayed at the Best Western Harbor Inn for 5 nights. It was an overall great experience. Pros Perfect location for walking to downtown Edmonds, the beach, and for driving day trips. It is about a 1/2 mile easy walk to downtown with great little shops, restaurants, coffee shops, etc. On Saturday they have a beautiful farmer's market with flowers, fruit and veggies, live music, etc. very nice! Nice breakfast with eggs, bacon, waffles, yogurt, fruit, etc. Comfortable beds Refrigerator in room Coffee, tea, fruit, and cookies available in the lobby all day/night Although some reviews complained about the train noise, it didn't bother me at all. I stayed on the side facing north (I think!) and had no issues with noise. Cons (very minor) The bathrooms are a bit dated, but super clean. One day I was in my room with the do not disturb sign on the door and the latch turned to display do not disturb. I was just going to relax for a few hours before heading out for the afternoon and evening. At 11:00 the front desk called and asked what time I would be leaving so they could change my sheets. I was taken aback since I had indicated that I didn't want to be disturbed and then felt pressured to leave the room so they could clean. They told me to stop by the front desk to let them know that I was leaving. So I did and told told them how I felt about being disturbed and the 3 people at the desk just stared at me. One said, “I'm so sorry. Did we resolve your issue adequately?” Seemed a bit odd to me. I've never had that happen in all my many years of traveling. Anyway, this is a great motel for visiting Edmonds and the surrounding area.
I have really high expectations for the Best Western Plus hotels and this place did not disappoint. It's located in one of my favorite towns - Edmonds, WA. So much to see and do and everything is so close. From the moment you walk through the door of this hotel you can feel the quality of the place. The front desk staff were simply amazing and Michelle was outstanding. She did everything right including giving us some restaurant coupons that saved us about $30 when we ate dinner. Our room was exceptional in every detail. Comfortable bed, plenty of room and super clean. The only drawback that I saw was in the breakfast quality. It was OK and not a deal killer but it could have been better. When I stay at a hotel that furnishes a complimentary breakfast I usually will go for the oatmeal and all of the goodies but I guess I didn't want to make my own from the package that was available. Lazy on my part but I feel the hot pot of already made oatmeal is a better option. BTW - Best Western will name a suite after me if I can get 999,999 helpful votes for this review. Can I count of your support? Say yes, pretty please. Thanks in advance.
Not super fancy, but clean. Rooms are quite small, I expected them to be larger and a little more upscale. Breakfast was very good. Service was great. Staff was very helpful and courteous. A nice place to stay, good location.
We enjoy staying at the Best Western in Edmonds. It's convenient to the ferry and the cookies are delicious. Breakfast includes all kinds of choices. The rooms are comfortable. Some people complained about the train noise, but we didn't notice it.
The hotel was nice. It was in a really great location for most of what we wanted to do in Seattle. It was only a short walk to public transit into Seattle. The room was adequate, but the vanity area was really small and made it difficult to get everyone ready in the morning. The beds were comfy and the room was clean. There is a large lobby where our family met many times to just have room to sit and visit. We took wine down there and were never bothered by any of the staff. The breakfasts were really good, with great selection for every type of appetite. The pool area is kind of bland and the fitness room was really stuffy and small. The hotel is near railroad tracks and we often heard the train several times during the night. The front counter staff could have been a little more familiar with how to access public transit, because it is really confusing and we had to figure it out the hard way.
The location is perfect, the community is great and the staff will bend over backwards to assist you with any thing they can do for you. The bed was comfortable, shower etc was great and TV had lots of channels
This Best Western Plus is well situated in Edmonds. We went to many of the unique stores in the downtown area and to 3 of the restaurants - Anthony's, Ivars, Chantrelles- all recommended. We also went to live theatre at the Phoenix Theatre. - Women in Jeprody. Just hilarious! A very small theatre and quite inexpensive. There are shows regularly so take a look to see what is playing if you choose to saay here., There is a train depot within walking distance to go downtown to Seattle. We didn't take the train because we have been to Seattle many times. There are is a ferry terminal in Edmonds - the Kingston Ferry is 2 blocks away. The beaches are also in walking distance but it was too cool to go by the beach and relax. The arts festival was on that weekend and a treasure to view work by locals and others outside of the area This area is wonderful for a quick getaway to recharge. Lots to do but we ran out of time
Have been coming here for Years - my Favorite spot in Seattle. I used to stay Downtown until I discovered The BW Harbor Inn. Seeing Barbara and Michelle at the Front Desk feels like you are visiting old friends ~ Love it Here !!!!!
Gap in bottom of room door. Watch your toes... Love the railway crossing warning horn for traffic. Walk or drive down to Marina Beach Park. Could also walk to Edmonds Marsh viewing area behind motel...
We stayed for one night so we could attend a local event at the performance center. Our room was reserved weeks ago, but we accepted a lesser room as we asked for s quiet location. Between the traffic on one side and trains on the other, it was a pretty sleepless night. No extra blankets or robes ... very small bathroom with noisy fan and broken heat/air conditioning. Staff did reduce our room rate for the booking error and lack of quality facility. As compared to other best western locations it is pricey ($140-170 for a double queen room) .... hope someone addresses the issues soon.
I had business in Seattle but I really like Edmonds so we decided to stay here. You can walk to most any place you'll want to go to in Edmonds. Great location. The kitchenette was perfect. Would stay again.
This Best Western is in a great location to catch the ferry to Kingston and within easy walking distance to downtown Edmonds. The breakfast was tasty with a wide selection of all foods and hot food that was hot.Every member of staff that i came into contact with was very helpful, professional and kind. We will be back.
I have belonged to Best Western Club for years... I have stayed in a ton of them all over the country. Normally "a nice surprise is no surprise" when I am travelling This is the only time I have left this kind of poor review (ever!). The hotel itself was clean and the rooms were nice. I have not had the breakfast yet but I am assuming it will be good. The staff were excellent when I checked in...I am upset because there was no warning regarding my room being on a main train line. I came in exhausted at about 11 pm went to bed immediately only to be awakened several times by the trains whistle. It sound like your room is on the track! Had I been warned with a sign on the check in desk I probably would have stayed regardless but that did not happen. I was charged full BW rates for a substandard sleep for the first time! I being a newbie tourist checking in would not look for proximity to train tracks. I am not sure on number but there were a lot of them and the horn was sounded at least 5 to 6 times as it rumbled by.
Very comfortable beds. Close to ferry, beach, park, trail, shopping and restaurants. Breakfast had great choices and staff was extremely helpful. Only down side to the location is it is near a train that runs past regularly. However, the hotel was one of the best and most comfortable I have ever been to. I look forward to staying there again.
We've stayed here twice with our 2 young kids. Check in and check out was super quick and easy. After our first stay, we knew this would be a go-to for future stays in that area because the full breakfast is a wonderful perk. Rooms were very clean looking and smelled clean. Nothing was broken. Comfy beds and pillows. We love this hotel.
From the time we stepped foot in this hotel, we felt very cared for! Staff at every level was knowledgeable and helpful. Breakfast was tasty. All our many questions about navigating the area were answered with a smile. We took advantage of the guest office with internet and enjoyed the clean modern workout room!
Perfect spot on the Sound, within easy driving distance of downtown Seattle, access to Lynnwood shops, and a small town center with a diverse range of shops and restaurants. This hotel has consistently been a pleasure to stay at and return to. The one distraction is the trains, and that's a fact of life in this corner of the northwest.
The night of sleep was average, but the internet didn't work for more than a couple of minutes at a time, and the desk clerk was not concerned enough with my complaint to help me fix it. I know it wasn't only my device, because NO device we had in our room would connect. There was some dirt and hair in the corners of especially the bathroom, but the bedding was clean and the breakfast was respectable although the eggs seemed cold.
After having the pleasure to stay here for a week for business purpose, it changed my thoughts of Best Western. I have had many different experiences with this chain and this particular hotel knocked it out of the park. The staff was nothing short of great! The location offers so many restaurant options and the feel of being out of the city. There are several activity options. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that is looking to stay in the area.
We stayed a week in this hotel. Puget Sound is right outside the door. Live eagles. The service is very good. The hot breakfast is good. Excellent shopping and coffee within walking distance. Overall, a great week for the family.
Ok, let's start with the cons: - In-room coffee. Miserable, especially considering they're in the Seattle environs. The maker put a nice crema on top, and I was all giddy, ready for an exceptional cup. Blech! Watered-down, nearly flavorless. Very disappointing. On the up-side, the 24/7 coffee that was offered in the lobby was acceptable. Decent, even. - Toilet/shower room was a bit small, but I'm a big guy. - I was going to say that the street noise was high...even waking me up a number of times during my first (of two) nights. Then I went to open the curtains in the morning and discovered the window was open, which I closed. Next night, no problems. So, not really a con. Now, these things exceeded my expectations: - Very friendly front desk staff, even at 3:45 a.m., when I had to check out. - Superbly comfortable bed and pillows. Slept really well (second night, at least...see above). - Little to no hallway noise. - Breakfast offerings were many and varied. I had egg bake with peppers, sausage, and potatoes. All better than what I expected. - In-room glass glasses and ceramic coffee mugs. - Very clean throughout - public areas and in-room.
Our King room was large for a Seattle area room. It included a pod coffee maker and a refrigerator. The furnishings and carpet were nearly new. View from our room was the "Health Club" next door, a huge dome. Pool and hot tub were not available as they are seasonal. We asked for a room on an upper floor and the first night was quiet and we slept well. The bed was comfortable and the linens and towels were good quality. Even the toiletries were better than average. The second night the party crowd moved into the next room around midnight starting with the TV blaring. I called it in because they woke us and they turned it down. Each morning we had a hot breakfast with eggs, fried potatoes, bacon or sausage and fruit. They had waffle makers and lots of other cold breakfast choices, too. A cut above. I would recommend this Best Western and I would stay there again. Walking distance to the Ferry and downtown Edmonds with its shops and restaurants. Nice weekend stay.
Bring your own high quality ear plugs as the ones they supply may not work. Trains pass literally all night long, sometimes as frequently as every 10 minutes. If trains rock you to sleep, then you will have the best sleep of your life
The trains running all night was not good but this hotel needs to be updated. The building AC was not working. The ice machine was not working. Staff seemed absolutely clueless. I had ankle surgery and was on a scooter. They put us in the farthest room from the lobby. When I complained about the ice machine on our floor he suggested I come down to the first floor to get ice there. Seriously? All in all...very disappointing!
We booked this property because an inconvenient storm interrupted a birthday/anniversary trip. I was happy to find a "special" room available for my husband's birthday. We arrived about 8..."hobo" hairs on the toilet seat. Oh well...everyone has an "off" day, and after 12 hours in the car, I was too tired to complain. the room was large and well appointed. The jacuzzi tub was nice, but one of the bathrobes was filthy....ok...won't use a bathrobe...then, I moved the phone on the nightstand and found a gross pile of fingernail clippings....good thing I'm a "good" witch! We were going to spend another night, but the gross-out factor was too much with the last peoples' body debris all over the room. A port in a storm should still be basically clean. I spend a lot of nights at Best Western properties, and this one was disappointing.
I travelled in during a snow storm. Front desk staff was very nice on the several occasions that I called to inform them of travel delays. Hotel appears to be remodeled, nice décor and very clean. Close proximity to both the Edmonds - Kingston ferry as well as AMTRACK. Breakfast options were good and plentiful.
I was delighted to find a BW in Edmonds, WA when I recently had a need to spend a night. The hotel staff was outstanding and the hotel was clean and comfortable in every way. I have chemical sensitivity and, although admitting to using fragrant sprays in the guest rooms, I was offered a special cleaning without fragrances and that windows would be left open to air the room before I arrived. I was very happy to discover my room cleaned as promised and spent a night comfortably. The hotel is a short walk to very nice restaurants, the beach front and marina with lots to see and do. I will definitely spend a few nights a year enjoying this find.
The customer service was excellent. Very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and nicely decorated and the bed was very comfortable. The location in downtown Edmonds was perfect.I felt welcomed and safe.
Clean, friendly, quaint, large rooms, hit breakfast with eggs, bacon, waffles, fresh fruit. I have stayed here many times. They recently upgraded their rooms and decor. Bathrooms are small but our room had a sink, microwave, coffee and dishes. Nice local place to stay.
Our heating system wasn't working properly, so they immediately gave us another room. Because we had to move, our accommodations were a larger room, plus a king sized bed. We really appreciated this extra service.
I love this hotel. It's within walking distance of downtown Edmonds shops and restaurants. It's also within walking distance of the ferry terminal, Amtrak station, and Edmonds beach. The hotel is always clean and the rooms are comfortable.
While visiting family we stayed 3 nights at the BW. Overall a very good experience. Clean rooms, Helpful staff. Reasonable rates. Good location that worked well for us. Close to downtown Edmonds (walking distance), a good museum (Cascadia Art Museum) and many good restaurants.
little tricky finding the entrance, but we were up for 20 hrs at that point! What an amazing place. Beautiful lobby, the people are so freindly and helpful. The rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable. The breakfast is excellent, the usual selection and then some, fresh cut fruit, 2 egg choices, best bacon and even tomato juice! Nice little trail that goes around the small marsh in the back. Would definitely stay again!!
The Edmonds Best Western Plus Harbor Inn is a very nice hotel near the bay. The rooms were clean and neatly decorated. The breakfast was hot and had many options and the location was quiet yet close to many attractions and restaurants.
This Edmonds Best Western is in a great Location near the Ocean. The Check-In process was quick & precise. The room was clean, quiet & spacious. The Staff are Cheerful & Helpfull. The breakfast was a nice surprise and Super Fantastic .
I chose this hotel for its location. We were just minutes away from our son and the Kingston Ferry. We could even walk to two great seafood restaurants along the pier - Anthony's and Arnie's. The hotel staff was very friendly. Check-in and out was quick, efficient, and easy. The room was basically your average hotel room. The beds were quite comfy. We could hear the train and the ferry whistle, but it did not bother us. The complimentary breakfast far exceeded any that we have ever had at other hotels. They changed up the menu from day to day. Sometimes they offered scrambled eggs (again, they were the best we've ever had at a hotel) with bacon or sausage. Another day they offered a type of omelette (didn't care for this offering too much). Make your own Belgian waffle. Plenty of fresh fruit, danish, donuts, muffins, breads, juices, milk, cereal, and most importantly - hot coffee throughout the day. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Edmonds, WA or nearby.
Right in the town, just a short walk to the railway station, the ferry and all the amenities the town has to offer. Every staff member we talked to was helpful and pleasant, the new trainee asked for help as soon as he found something unfamiliar. Good Training! Excellent rooms, spacious and squeaky clean. Great breakfast choices, well cooked in Best Western hotels style. We had a railway side room and slept with the window open all night, but we live in a railway town and hear this every single night so slept without any problem, if that's an issue for you, ask to sleep on the other side. Overall, Awesome, and we will be back for sure.
Edmonds, WA, have stayed at this hotel for the last 20 years and is always great, staff and rooms are always consistently great. Always know what to expect and are always extremely pleased with all aspects.
This hotel goes above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. Their breakfast selections are terrific and so tasty. Comfy beds, and lots to see and do around surrounding area. There is a bit of train noise, but not bad, request a room on the street side if possible, you will not be sorry you selected this hotel.
Great hotel - clean, quiet, and friendly staff. Centrally located - you can walk to downtown. Easy access to the Ferry going to Kingston. Many people go downtown for dinner, but I liked Arnies - within walking distance. Tip: The prices for dinner in the lounge are far cheaper than the main restaurant and it's almost the same menu. You can also pick your own table near the window.
After coming from two different Best Western hotels while visiting in the state of Washington, the BW Plus is the only way to go. SEATEC and College Way Inn BW were awful! Edmonds Harbor was a retreat after coming from College Way. However, be sure you stay away from the Fitness Center when booking. It's located upstairs and when someone is using the treadmill it sounds like a herd of buffalo coming through.
Once you settle into the Plus BW be ready for the trains shout and whistle plus a few long solos from the ferry boat! After the second night we finally got a good nights rest. Wonderful location only a 3 block walk up to city center where you can experience an incredible Saturday market, numerous restaurants and the famous Red Twig café. Would stay here again in a heart beat.
This hotel is well located in the city of Edmonds and is close to restaurant and shopping malls. The hotel staff were amazing and so helpful. We really enjoyed our stay here. Plus the room was very confortable and the breakfast was outstanding. Very confortable stay.
This hotel is located in the center of a strip mall type parking lot. All rooms look out to parked car. It is sandwiched in between a very loud train and a loud ferry. Upon arrival, we found a large clump of hair in the bath tub. This was terribly disappointing.
Compared to the market e.g. Hampton Inn etc that are within 10 miles and cheaper I wish I'd selected them. The rooms are dated, worn, need painting. Room cleaning was intermittent and required multiple visits to the front desk. Overall...look nearby for a better value.
Great Place to StayBeds were very comfortable Breakfast was. Wonderful. Hotel is clean. Front desk was. Helpful offered advice for dinner. Breakfast was fresh. Felt secure staying there Lobby was clean
The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good and we enjoyed the egg bake. The hotel coffee was good. There is plenty of parking but most of it is not convenient to the front door. There are plenty of restaurants and tap rooms within walking distance. Close to the ferry. Staff is mostly friendly. When we arrived the woman behind the front desk ignored us and did not even stop to let us know she would be right with us. However, a manager came by and asked if we had been helped and when we said no he immediately got the woman to check us in. We would stay here again.
Conveniently located in Edmonds near the beach, marina, ferry, and little retail/dining district. Very charming and walkable area. Rooms are clean, finishes are a little dated, furniture nicely updated. Free parking, breakfast, and wi-fi. Excellent service. The nearby freight train runs many times a day but seems to stop at night. We didn't mind - so overjoyed with the area and this nice inn.
Room was comfortable and the breakfast was good. If we were to stay again we would request a room on the front side of the hotel as our room on the main floor facing the back of the hotel was perfect if you like to hear the trains horns all night.
My husband and I have stayed at this hotel many times and really like it. It had great breakfast service, the rooms are very nice, and the staff is excellent. It's within easy walking distance to all the shops, restaurants, and other locales in Edmonds, as well as the ferry to Kingston. It's just a great place to stay.
Nice hotel to use as a base for visits to both Seattle and Boeing Future Flights. Good breakfast with hot items. Small pool and spapool area with sunbeds and free pool towels. The honk from the trains were charming reminding us of old American movies. They did not prevent us from sleeping. If we go back to the area we would choose this hotel again.
Me, my wife, and our three kids took a trip to Seattle, but wanted to stay somewhere out of downtown. The Edmonds area was quaint, and we loved being close to the marina/harbor area. The hotel itself was nice and very clean. When I checked in, I let the desk staff know that our reservation was for two adults and two kids, but we actually had an extra infant with us. Every time we told the website we had three kids, it wanted to make us get two rooms, which we just couldn't afford. The front desk staff was very accommodating and understanding - no worries and no extra charge for the baby! The parking lot seemed safe, and the exterior of the hotel was nice. The hotel is located between a nice looking athletic club and a small shopping center with some restaurants and offices. The Hotel is also only a few minutes walk from the Edmonds ferry port and the marina/beach area. Our kids had a great time hunting for shells on the beach. The hotel room itself was very clean - the sheets and towels looked and smelled fresh, the remote was sterilized and placed in a clean bag, and the room looked like it was recently renovated. Our kids loved having some time to come soak in the pool and hot tub at the end of our day sightseeing. The pool area is well-maintained and the kids loved the colored lights in the pool. The water temperature of the pool didn't feel like it was heated - a little to cold for me - but our kids didn't mind at all. The hot tub was perfect. Breakfast was great. They had scrambled eggs, bacon, and sausage, along with Carbon's malted waffle mix and a waffle iron. They also had all kinds of breads and bageles and toppings to build your own breakfast sandwiches, cereals, yogurt, various fruit options, danish and donuts, milk, coffee, juice, and hot chocolate. Other reviewers have mentioned the train sound. There is a train track located about 50 to 100 yards from the hotel. Amtrak trains, as well as the Sounder public transit trains from Seattle to Everett run along this track at regular intervals from early in the morning until late at night. The trains do honk to signal their approach to the Edmonds station. If you're a light sleeper, the train noise might be an issue for you. The train does run on the west side of the hotel, so maybe on the east side of the hotel it wouldn't be as pronounced? Still, I slept through the train noise without any problem and didn't really notice it - definitely not a deal breaker for me. Overall, this was a great hotel experience and we would definitely stay here again.
Great location, breakfast pretty good. Comfortable beda and friendly staff. One thing to avoid - rooms on 1st floor near side exits of the hotel - smokers stand outside the rooms frequently close to your window.
A nice small and clean place. Seems privately owned rather than a corporate operation. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with an extremely helpful staff. A good complimentary breakfast. Easy walking distance to the waterfront.
We stay at this hotel often, but this time we had the grandchildren with us. We had a lovely room, spacious, with small refrigerator, two-burner cooktop and a microwave. When one child had a small accident, the housekeeper quickly changed the bed and was very kind about it. The breakfast had enough choices for the pickiest eater, and the kids totally loved the pool. They even loved the train whistle and the ferry boat horn. The hotel was an easy walk from several good local restaurants. We were in and out of Seattle every day, easy drive, without Seattle hotel prices. This was a great stay.
My room was very clean and comfortable, and this motel is located in a very scenic part of Washington. Can't wait to visit here again. This motel definitely put me into vacation and relaxation mode. One of the Best motel experiences ever.
This place was suggested by friends who live in town. We spent two nights here while traveling and it was comfortable, clean and well run. Service at the desk was excellent, quick and friendly. The room was on a corner upstairs, which made for good light. The room had everything in it you would expect from a good motel/hotel. Be aware that the AmTrak station is very near, so you will hear trains at all hours. We found it easy to adapt and were not bothered by the noise. There was a view of the harbor and we could hear the ferries come and go, a nice local touch. We would stay there again.
We had an amazing time at the Best Western Plus in Edmonds. We traveled to Edmonds for a family reunion and had a relaxing stay at this hotel. Breakfast was great, lots of options. The suit we had was a great retreat. Bed was very comfy. Slept great!
The hotel worked perfect on our trip to Victoria, B.C. The hotel staff was very helpful and we got grab and go breakfast so we could catch the early ferry. They also recommended a great little restaurant right down the street that had a wonderful view and very good food. We would stay there again.
room was good. breakfast was good.close to Edmonds/Kingston Ferry.next to Edmonds harbor.nice to walk at the harbor in the afternoon or evening.saw fishermen were fishing and crabbing at the pier.saw ferry departed and arrived.close to Lynnwood where you can find lots of places to eat and shop for your need.would stay again if in the area.
This hotel, it's staff and location were outstanding. We had to travel to Seattle for some medical consultations, and were so happy to stay a wee bit north in Edmunds. The hotel staff were very welcoming, and very knowledgeable about the entire area. Great dining recommendations, and happy hour suggestions, all within a short walk of the hotel. Our room was clean and bed was comfortable, which is not always the case for a 6'5" man. We really liked how accessible everything was to the hotel, including the Kingston Ferry within walking distance. We took the ferry across the sound to Kingston, where we walked the town shops (not a lot there), and ate lunch. We had actually booked an additional night, but were required to leave early due to evacuation of our home in Redding. They gladly refunded us without issue.
The man checking us in was very helpful with dinner recommendations. Very friendly and welcoming. Great Coffee available 24 hours. Very clean heated pool and hot tub. Breakfast was great!! This was a great place to stay.
The room was pleasant, with well-screened windows that opened wide. Pool looked inviting though we did not use it. The hot breakfast items were much better than the usual hotel fare. The location is great, with easy access to bars, restaurants, the waterfront, and the train. We used the train to get in and out of Seattle for a baseball game, paid way less for this hotel than staying in Seattle and still had time to hang out in the city and also in Edmonds. Hotel staff were friendly, efficient and professional. We had a wifi access issue in the room for a while but it seemed to resolve. Would stay at this hotel again.
My favorite hotel in the area. Great staff, comfortable and clean rooms. Great cable TV selections. Nice swimming pool. Best location for waterfront walks and quality restaurants. Ferry to peninsula access.
Very nice motel Close to ferry, clean rooms with comfortable beds. Convenient parking close by restaurants with excellent prices and very good food. Staff was very friendly Breakfast was hot with good choices
Very comfortable beds with plenty of room storage. Lots of small, personable restaurants within close walking distance. Anthony's is a very nice restaurant down by the water which is also within walking distance. Edmonds, of courseis a charming town with lots of flowers and charming small shops. ,
We really enjoyed our stay! The staff was very helpful, the room was great, and the complimentary breakfast was better than most! While there is not much of a view, the hotel is located close to the waterfront and ferry terminal - very convenient. Walking distance to restaurants and the harbor. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
great location walking distance to very good seafood restaurant on the sound ( several other restaurants nearby) Hotel nicely decorated. Room well decorated and comfortable.Just off freeway staff was friendly and helpful
There is nothing wroing with this hotel. But the train horn noise is very annoying. NIce short walk into the town. Close to water and ferry service. Short drive to Seattle downtown. We were able to make the drive to the Seattle cruise terminal in about 35 mins. during the morning rush hour - Using google maps. That was leaving at about 8:30AM
Lovely location. Walk to several restaurants. Surprisingly good breakfast. Nice clean room. After receiving the wrong keys initially - well, actually, the right keys but the wrong room number, our stay was good. Front desk was apologetic and worked quickly to rectify the mistake.
The staff are super friendly. The included breakfast is quite good as is the coffee. The beds are very comfortable. The property is located near the marina within easy walking distance to the town center. The numerous trains are rather loud, but running the fan helps to subdue the noise. We will request a room away from the tracks on our next visit.
Ok Best Western. People are friendly and helpful. Location seemed good since we were visiting friends in Edmonds. We had a HORRIBLE night of sleep due to the train conductor blowing his horn every hour on the hour after midnight. Think twice before you book.
Decent hotel, great breakfast, and awesome friendly staff! Would stay here again! Short walk to a nice pier. Has a business center. Room was clean. Cost was a little more, but it was ok for location, staff, and nice breakfast!
Edmonds is a great little ocean side town with amazing variety of restaurants! The Best Western is a very clean and friendly hotel located very close to the pier. Yes there is train noise but I am a light sleeper and didn't hear anything at night. Its a nice short drive into Seattle (we went for the day and saw a concert). Weekdays there is a train you could take into Seattle. The complimentary breakfast was amazing! Fresh and such a variety of choices.
This is a Best Western Plus. They are sort of an improved, I guess you could call it upscale version of this chain. And it was. Very clean and comfortable. Staff is very friendly and courteous. Beds were very comfortable and the AC could hardly be heard. Breakfast bar among the best we've had. It wasn't as much the food, but the preparation.Conveniently located near beaches, restaurants, a distillery, museum, shops and the ferry. I would have rated 5 stars except a large trash bin was parked in such a way as to occupy 4 parking spaces, which are at a premium.
The staff here are fantastic. Very friendly and helpful. She was able to answer questions about whale watching tour and things to do in the area. The room was very clean, and decent size. Nothing fancy here, but clean and efficient. I would definitely recommend staying here. Especially if you are coming for the whale watch trip, very lose to the harbor.
The staff and the rooms at the Best Western Plus Harbor Inn in Edmonds is a very nice place to stay. The rooms are comfortable, clean and the breakfast is great! Also, the staff if exceptional. There is ample room to park and a free computer with a printer to use in the lobby which is very handy to use for things like checking in and printing your airline boarding passes.
I stayed here with a friend three years ago and it was the obvious choice for a return visit. The hotel is located within walking distance of the train station, the ferry and a variety of very good restaurants in downtown Edmonds, which has a lovely small-town feel. I arrived via train at a ridiculously early hour but the front desk folks had no problem checking me in. I got a junior suite, airy, spacious (with windows that open!); microwave, small fridge, coffee, etc.; large clean bathroom, great bed, comfy pull out sofa and two TVs. After two nights on the train I thought I'd died and gone to heaven. Breakfast has good hot/cold options in very pleasant dining area; lobby is spacious and front desk folks were great. I gave Sleep Quality a 4 out of 5 only because I heard a train go by once or twice during the night, but I love that anyway.
And absolutely perfect experience from the room to the breakfast to the staff and to the fresh daily baked cookies. Will be back! The views were spectacular too. I would definitely return to this hotel in the future.
few cleaning issues with the room, frozen chocolate bannas in the mini fridge freezer, then a hand towel in one of the light shades as to dim it. Location was wonderful, close to peer with great views
Awesome staff, friendly, always asking how things were, if we needed anything. Clean, very nice stay. I wish our conference room was bigger . But it worked fine. Weather was nice , it would have been nice to use the beautiful pool.
We had a short stay at this hotel for a family function. Hotel was clean, simply furnished, and had a good rate. The location was great-pretty central for our needs and easy to get there. Staff was friendly.
Downtown Edmonds, WA, is full of adorable, quaint shops and restaurants. This hotel is within walking distance of all of it, plus the rail station! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful; the room was clean and spacious with a fridge and a very comfortable bed; and, the breakfast was quite tasty and fresh (make-your-own waffles)! Great for a personal or business trip. We never heard the train because we simply kept the fan running all night for white noise, which I recommend. You can choose heat, cool, or simply fan.
One of the very nicest hotels we have stayed in. We were planning on going to Seattle for the day but thought that Edmonds was so beautiful and serene that we spent the day there. Would go back to the that hotel and Edmonds again in a heartbeat!
We went to Edmonds for the first time with no idea of what place would be the most comfortable. As far a we are concerned, we chose the best place. The rooms are a good size, the staff is so friendly. Breakfast has a great variety from day to day.It is well maintained so always is fresh. Parking is easily available long with cookies in the lobby. It is a very clean place. Any questions that you have a =re taken care of by the staff. You cannot go wrong is you decide on this Best western!
We wanted something close-by to Shoreline (we were in town visiting familty), and this has been the best choice for us so far. We will definitely be back. It is tucked in behind the main road, so it was quiet. The hot breakfast was also a plus as we travel with a little one & the waffles are her favorite. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting something quiet and close to Shoreline. Edmonds Harbor is also lovely, so a good choice all around. Staff was friendly & we had a quick/easy check-in.
This hotel is close to the ocean, only a block away. It is close to the train station and a number of different restaurants. The staff was friendly and helpful, giving me tips on how to take the train and bus to Seattle. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable.
I found the customer service at the Best Western Plus Edmonds Harbor Inn to be excellent. The woman who checked me in was friendly, positive and helpful. The room I stayed in had a king size bed and was very comfortable and clean. The location is convenient and close to all the amenities downtown Edmonds has to offer.
I've stayed at this hotel numerous times over the past five years. I have had consistently excellent experiences there. They have a consistently excellent staff and well-maintained facility. Beautiful location near the Edmonds waterfront. Nice stores, museum, restaurants, coffee joints and ferry within easy walking distance.
I stayed here for three nights while attending a class at Compass Courses. The hotel was clean and well priced for me. The included breakfast was what I had in mind and adequate for my needs. My room was nice and well kept. 3rd floor. Just a peek of the ocean out one window, pool out the other. There is some train noise, but it is also close to the station. I don't mind trains or industry. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
No complaints all. A rare event in our travel lives. Best Western in Edmonds, in Winslow, in Hermosa Beach and San Diego CA all provide clean comfort for great $ value. We have recommended BW to all our friends recently and after this experience will continue to do so.
Pleasant stay. Good breakfast choices with fresh fruit,non-dairy milk, protein selections. Excellent location. Walking distance to train station, city center and wildlife preserve. There are good restaurants nearby.
Wonderful hotel in Edmonds WA 1 block from waterfront, couple of blocks and an easy walk to downtown with some great little shops. A wonderful town for a nice weekend, much more laid back than downtown Seattle.
This property has beautiful water views, and is within a few blocks of the ferry and beach. Stay here, and walk onto the ferry for a fun day trip! It's also within walking distance of restaurants and lots of shopping. Parking is free, and the hotel has an elevator. There is a major train track fairly close by, and the train does blow its horn at all hours. A great property as a base of operations for exploring the cool downtown and beach areas of Edmonds. It's not a Plus property, but does the job.
Stayed here during an event. Would come again for a fun weekend in Edmonds. The town is great and this hotel is at a good location. Decent price. Staff is really nice and wants to help all guests enjoy their stay. Rooms are clean. Hotel is slightly outdated and exterior needs a little work but it appeared they were doing that (saw some ladders and outdoor tool stuff). I wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Pool area looked nice and clean although we never tried it
Once we finally got our upgrade as a rewards member we found the room had chinese food all over the coffee table and we then decided to check the bed and found a number of hairs and stains on the sheets of the bed. We were given another room but that room was also dirty but the bed seemed clean. With limited rooms available we simply called it a night. We spoke with the front desk staff in the morning and they said they were sorry but very little was done about the situation.
extremely awesome staff, they are so helpful, go out of there way to address any issues. It is close to a lot of different restaurants and even UberEats delivers here. Love staying here, will be back!
This really is my new Go-To when I'm in Seattle. Staff is so nice and Welcoming! The location is perfect - right by the ferry and tons of great spots in Edmonds.... Hotel is very clean, great breakfast when your on the go. I was kind of snooty about preferring Downtown Seattle when I was in the area, but after staying here in Edmonds a few times - They can keep Downtown. I can get there in a half hour so who needs the hassle..... Thank's B.W.. Harbor Inn - See ya soon.
They even have two luggage racks plus a table, and sanitize their remote controls. The lobby is so inviting with plenty of seating and a fireplace, the business center is quiet, they give you coupons for two nice restaurants within walking distance, and even their chafing dishes stay open while you fill your breakfast dishes with an incredible variety of food options.
I'm surprised that this is the highest-rated place in Edmonds. It was okay, but definitely had some high points and low points. The lobby has been very nicely redecorated, and is pleasant and welcoming. Front desk staff was cheerful and helpful. Coffee and hot water for tea/cocoa were always available, as were several types of flavored syrups. Our two queen bed room was spacious, but the mattress on one of the beds was extremely soft and old. There were only a few tiny drawers for our things. The room smelled like people; I don't know how else to describe it. Perhaps the carpets, drapes, and bedding need a thorough cleaning. The drapes weren't quite wide enough to block all of the light from the window. The bathroom included a shelf under the sink, which was much needed, as the vanity was not very wide. A small desk was provided, but no armchair or breakfast table. The granite walls around the shower were three different shades (not intentional, I am sure). Towels were soft. The bars of soap were the tiniest I have ever seen; I'm sure this reduces waste quite a bit. Breakfast was plentiful. In addition to the hot drinks in the adjacent lobby, there was a dispenser with a variety of juices and a pitcher of tomato juice. Each day, a tray held an egg dish, hash brown patties and bacon or sausage. There was also a make-your-own waffle station. Pre-peeled hard boiled eggs were in a refrigerator, as were a few kinds of yogurt. There were a few basic pastries, mini muffins, bread, English muffins and bagels. Instant oatmeal was also offered, along with a nice selection of toppings. The pool and spa are “seasonal”; which meant they were closed when I visited in January. It would be nice for the spa to be covered, so that it can be enjoyed year-round. There was a guest laundry room with one washer and one dryer, costing a dollar each cycle. Guests need to request the key from the front desk, which means that if a guest is using the dryer, someone else cannot start their wash. I did not get a chance to visit the gym, so I cannot report on those facilities. A nice, little business center was provided on the second floor, which held a computer and printer (no charge to print) and a separate work table.
We needed a Room last Minute & even though I do favor Best Westerns, this Inn did not disappoint me at all !! Quaint, Clean & Cozy !! Registration went smooth, Hot Complimentary Breakfast .... and the location was Great if you have time to take in the Business District of Edmonds !! Next time will stay Longer as the Staff gave us a Great Insight of Edmonds !!
Great hotel with very helpful staff in a lovely town. Many great restaurants nearby. Hotel has a good breakfast and tea and coffee are available any time of the day. Clean hotel, suitable for couples/families/business. Great walks available nearby including a walk along the harbor which is really fun at Christmas with many boat owners decorating their boats. we keep coming back.
This Best Western is in a very convenient location near the ferry, a number of restaurants and the downtown area. We can usually depend on a good breakfast bar at Best Western; and, this facility did not disappoint. The beds were comfortable and all of us had a good night's sleep, The only minor drawback to staying in Edmonds is the large number of trains that pass through along the waterfront. Again, just a minor distraction, as a person can usually expect higher noise levels when staying near a city's core.
Great service and location. Easy check in. Quiet. Walking distance to local restaurants and ferry to Kingston. Close to the beach. Nice and helpful staff. Perfect for tourists as well as locals looking for a quick getaway.
The customer service needed improvement. We were awaken early , several times from a faulty phone line. No apologies. We requested a 12 noon check out when we had arrived after midnight, and no one got back to us. Then when we stopped by the front desk, we were told because they were full we'd be granted ten mins only. We won't be back. The internet was also very slow.
Great location close to water and boardwalk. Walkable to downtown. Close to ferry. Great helpful staff. Good hot breakfast.By far my favorite place to stay in Edmonds/Lynwood area. Clean tastefully decorated rooms.
We booked the meeting room at the Harbor Inn for a family bridal shower and were very pleased with the experience. Darlene was very helpful in planning our event, making the setup and cleanup easy. The room is attractive and versatile, and not expensive. We also booked the king suite with fireplace. It was a great and roomy space where we could relax and visit in the evening over a glass of wine. Thank you for making our gathering such a wonderful memory.
This is a great place to stay. It is always clean, comfortable and decorated for the season. We love having breakfast open until 10:30. The staff is always friendly and willing to help with any issue that might have come up. They have a good knowledge of the area with ideas for place to go and places to eat
Picked this hotel for proximity to train station, so didn't have really high expectations, but I was very happy with my stay, far exceeded my expectations. Slept very comfortably, and great service. Highly recommend.
We stayed here based on location and it worked well for our purposes. There was easy access to where we needed to go, plenty of parking, and the hotel is pretty close to the “downtown” part of Edmonds, where there are a lot of shops and restaurants. The room was clean and comfortable. I didn't partake of breakfast, but when I went down for coffee the eating area was full. The coffee was pretty good, and was hot and fresh at 4:30am when I left to catch my flight.
We are always happy with our stay at this Best Western. It is located close to a family member that we visit frequently, and we consider this particular hotel as our Home Away From Home. It is located on Puget Sound and is located near several fine restaurants. Shops are just steps away in this charming little town of Edmonds.
Stayed here a few times always good, attentive staff, very good rooms and breakfast good, Staying at front of hotel minimizes noise of trains. Edmonds is a cute town to visit and is also close to Seattle.
This Best Western is a very comfortable place to stay. They serve breakfast. I did not care for the eggs, but the waffles were good. Breakfast cereals were available as well as fresh fruit, toast or bagels. A short walk to the harbor is pleasant and children would love to see all the boats and the birds. The ferry is nearby as well.
Not very good, but better than average, like 3 1/2 if i had to choose. I chose because it seemed to be the best hotel in the area and the most expensive. The front desk was friendly, the complementary breakfast decent, and the bed comfortable. Cannot park by the coned area when in rains. they do offer 24 hour coffee and tea and there are complementary cookies at the front. I understand that they offer discounted passes to a very good exercise facility next door but i was not able to take advantage of it.
Great stay...good amenities...great hot breakfast! Will stay at this hotel in the future. Good local restaurants, especially seafood. Hotel lobby has fresh baked cookies, coffee and tea available 24/7.
Great hotel w/nice amenities. Good local nearby restaurants.Full Hot Breakfast w/omelets, saussge, hashbrowns, made to order waffles, muffins, cereal selection and a great juice bar...amongst other side items.
We spent a night here while exploring the area north of Seattle. The room was comfortable and clean, with all the necessary facilities , including a fridge. Service was excellent. And the location, both for the ferry and for exploring the downtown area was great. In all a good place to stay while in Edmonds.
This hotel was perfect. We picked it for it's location close to a fishing charter we were taking and found everything about it to be top notch. The beds were very comfy and the breakfast offerings were bountiful. Would recommend to anyone.
This hotel had the most professional and courteous staff of hotels that we have stayed at in the past. The lobby, room, dining area and the overall facility was very nice and clean. The business center for internet use was very nice also. Breakfast was very good and plentiful. The area is above Seattle but was very easy to get down to the main areas of Seattle without much hassle with the traffic. would recommend this hotel to everyone. the bed was very comfortable and we got well rested there.
Fabulous place to stay. One of the nicest Best Western Plus's that we have ever stayed in. Good service, clean, great service. Good Location. With in walking distance to the water/beach, good restaurants. Great shopping, eateries, bars in downtown Edmonds, all within a couple of blocks of the hotel. Also have access to a great Athletic Club across the parking lot.
We always stay here when in the Seattle area, and the BW Edmonds Harbor Inn did not disappoint as usual.....always clean and comfortable, and everyone who works here is professional and very nice.....in a great spot by the waterfront, pubs and restaurants within walking distance, the train station a 3 minute walk away.....the train does run by lots at night but it doesnt bother me, and I always ask for an eastern facing room so Im facing away from it. Breakfast is great. Special shout out to Hadi the guest services manager who is a cool dude and always makes sure we are well taken care of. We love this place. Thanks again, until next time.....
If you want to visit the cutest City, walk everywhere.. Food.. Drinks... coffee... beaches, the ferry, listen to the train.. Stay at the Best Western Harbor Inn, Edmonds All the staff were veet friendly, the room was very comfortable
Had three nights and the location was accessible from the highway and good restaurants on the water. All the comforts you would need available and the breakfast was wonderful. The bed really was very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again, BUT we would ask for a room in a different location. After checking in at 01:30 after a delayed flight - we were awakened by garbage bins being dumped at about 7:00 and there were quite a few trains. The next two nights we made sure to run the fan and that helped with the noise, but it was pretty loud.
When I have business in the Lynnwood / Edmonds area, this is my go-to place to stay. I like Edmonds and this is a well-situated hotel and many resturaunts and entertainment options nearby. Be sure to sign up for their points club!
We were pleasantly surprised. The room was clean and the bed and pillows were comfy. The train was the only slight annoyance, but it wasn't a deal breaker. Great breakfast options. Would definitely stay here again if ever in the area!
This is a great hotel. My room was very clean. I was a first time user of UBER and LYFT in the area and the front desk attendant helped make that experience pleasant. The front desk staff was very helpful with giving dining and shopping options. Overall this place is worth staying at again if I ever get back to this area.
Under normal circumstances, when awakened at 2am by the sounds of trains passing by, I would decide never to return to that hotel if I wanted a good night's sleep. BUT, given the friendliness of the entire staff in all areas, the cleanliness, the fresh and abundant bfast, and the location on the harbor I will simply wear ear plugs next time!
Friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms and a hearty breakfast made our stay very enjoyable. The location is central and very quiet as well. It is an easy walk to downtown Edmonds with its many cool shops and restaurants as well as the Edmonds Centre for the Arts.
Good Best Western hotel, located in Edmonds near the ferry terminal. We often stay after family get-togethers, and take the ferry home the next day. So it is very convenient for us,The breakfasts are great.
This hotel is not fancy bit it is clean and the staff is very friendly. The breakfast is fresh and has a good variety. This hotel is an excellent value. The location of the hotel is close to many restaurants and shopping. There are low or high end dining experiences. It is also close to downtown. About a 30 min drive.
This was our fourth stay. Great staff who are knowledgeable about the area and are able to answer questions. Breakfast options are good. Our rooms have always been clean. The hotel is within walking distance to ferry and the restaurants along the water front, as well as within the town site up the hill. We'll definitely be going back, again
Nice location in Edmonds. Room walls are kind of thin so I could hear phone and other conversations easily. Bed was a little soft for me but I made it through my stay without to many aches in the morning. Continental breakfast was one of the better ones I've had. Staff where all very nice. Hotel is clean which is most important to me.
We couldn't FIND the hotel - GPS was totally confused - This seemed like it was no big deal, but at night when you're tired, it can be very discouraging! This is a problem with many, according to the check-in lady. Breakfast was not great - the hotel is clean but for the money I think I'd look around. We were taking the ferry early the next morning so the location was good, although you have to exit and make a u turn so it isn't as close as you'd assume.
Friendly staff. Breakfast is probably good for those who can eat carbs. Otherwise a bit limited. Beds are okay. Facility is clean. The cleaning crew starts early, and you'll need ear plugs if you want to sleep late. Same for outside noise - the hotel is close to a train crossing and a ferry, so whistles and horns till about 10-11 pm.
The staff made our stay very enjoyable. It was our second time staying here for our family vacation of seven days and six nights. The breakfast area was open for several hours every morning and included hot and cold items. They also changed it up every other day. Nice touch! Hotel was also close to the ferry terminal and walking distance to the beach. It was fun exploring the tide pools during low tides. The area is a Beautiful and perfect location to stay in, and just a 25 minute drive to Seattle.
A lovely location, friendly staff and very comfortable hotel. thought not a world class 5 star hotel, it was perfect for my needs and I enjoyed my stay thoroughly. Edmonds is fun and interesting, much to do, shopping and great dining in the area too.
I had a wonderful experience staying at this hotel. All members of the staff were friendly and eager to please. The beds were extremely comfortable and the room was very clean. The full breakfast was handy, appreciated and delicious. I would stay here again. The only thing that could be an issue if you are a light sleeper is the trains that roll through at night.
The location was great for us as we were going on the whale watching cruise. Also loved the downtown area. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was fine. Two cons: It is really hard to find, even with the GPS as it is sitauted behind a shopping area and the BW sign was tiny. Also, the trains ran all night long and were very loud.
We were there for a writer's conference and traveled from the hotel every day for four days. The staff was helpful and generous with their time. The food was good. We had a wonderful time. If there had been time, we would have taken the ferry to Quigby Island for a foot tour. As it was we had one dinner out at a sports bar that featured a number of fish selections. We were right on the sound.
This hotel is good. Train is close by for noise. Ask for a quiet room. Breakfast was very good, Edmonds is walking distance away which is great and close to train station. This review process is way too long.
Stayed here for a spontaneous romantic stay-cation, date night. Reserved the room with the jetted tub and fireplace. It was a perfect place for a romantic get away as long as you didn't want room service and have near 0 expectations around breakfast quality. I happen to like train noise, but if you don't this is not the hotel for you as the train sounds about a 1/2 mile away, 3-5 times a night, so perfect for us train lovers, not for those needing absolute quiet to sleep. Slept great, firm mattress and lots of great pillows of varying firmness. Near at least one good restaurant and one super crowded pub.
We were just there overnight before catching the ferry. We had a room on the first floor. Lobby and room were clean and functional, staff was helpful. Parking is available but not necessarily close to your room. Park out front, check in, and ask them where to park for your room. Get your cookie when you check in! Basic breakfast available in the morning.
We love coming to Edmonds from the east coast and the Best Western Plus Harbor Inn is one of the many reasons we enjoy this area so much. The breakfast is delicious and the variety of food is very extensive. The location is lovely with all kinds of restaurants, shopping, outdoor experiences within walking distance. The rooms are very comfortable and the area the hotel is located in is beautiful.
This was a truly beautiful location the motel decor complimented the geographic location. also, was very conveniently located to nearby attractions and shopping. The only thing that would have made the stay excellent would be the lack of train noises at night and a wider breakfast food variety.
This hotel was very convenient to many places especially the train station for our next stop. The hotel check in was smooth, room was great and an upgrade. We did hear train whistle once or twice. Breakfast buffet was very good and quite a selection.
Edmonds has a beach town feel while surrounded by Seattle and it's many suburbs. The hotel is a two block walk to the port and about 1/4 mile to the Kingston ferry. The only down side is the train that runs right through Edmonds. It's not bad with windows closed, but when open it's loud.
Comfortable, close to beach and ferry. Easy to walk to town. I stayed here to be near family and friends in Edmonds and will definitely return. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to spend time in a great town by the water.
This hotel provided the standard very good quality I have experienced at other Best Western hotels. The bed was very comfortable and room was clean. It is not on the waterfront as the web picture seem to indicate A local train did sound off during the evening but did not seem to blow the horn overnight.
It's a great location for business and/or pleasure, friendly and efficient staff, impressive complementary breakfast, clean and affordable. The sound of the distant train is quaint and I wasn't bothered (if you're a light sleeper, bring earplugs). It's within walking distance of waterfront restaurants/ferry and town shopping/restaurants.
This chain is in the hunt to improve their acceptance in my opinion. Clean comfortable beds. On site laundry facilities One of the best breakfasts I've had in a budget hotel that is included with your stay. Helpful and friendly staff. Within walking distance of downtown. Well done.
From the outside, the hotel does not looking very welcoming, but our room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The hotel is in walking distance to the wharf and downtown Edmonds where there are restaurants and shops.
I love the Harbor Inn in Edmonds! Besides its great location, the rooms and hotel itself are terrific and the staff and service is outstanding! No other place I'd stay in this area! There are several restaurants in the vicinity and beaches and boardwalks right out the door and down the street.
This property is ideal for exploring the lovely town of Edmonds, walking distance to the waterfront, local restaurants, train station, galleries and coffee shops. Very handy for visits to Seattle, Bellevue, Lynwood and Alderwood. ferry from here to Kingston, or train into Seattle
The rooms were very quiet and comfortable. We visited the boardwalk on the water and watch people catching crabs under a beautiful sunset. People were very nice and we enjoyed our conversations. We then stopped at a place next to the boardwalk and hotel to have a late snack and a drink. The service and food was excellent. The next day we checked out and spent time looking around Edmonds. We are definitely coming back to this Best Western.
This is one of the two Best Westerns that I really like. The other is in Missoula, MT. This is a very clean motel. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. I will always stay there when visiting western Washington.
hotel is fine; staff friendly and helpful. train noice a problem, but overall okay. nice 30 minute drive to downtown Seattle. Would stay here again. Nice marina walking area nearby with good restruants.
Breakfast was really good! Great quality and well cooked food.Visit the fishing pier while you're in town. You might want to take a trip and the ferry. The hotel is close to the shore area and there's some good restaurants nearby.
Wonderful quiet hotel with a great breakfast. We walked to a great restaurant for dinner. The view of Puget sound was great. We watched the Ferryboats come and go. People fished from the Wharf and were very friendly. The sunset was an experience all by itself.
Not only are the staff friendly and attentive. Check out amazing sunsets on the beach. Only a 10 minutes walk from your room. Excellent breakfast. If you want to you can Amtrak to Seattle and back! yes
We stayed here for a night on our family vacation. We arrived early after 10 hours on the road and although our room wasn't ready, the front desk lady promised to put a rush on it and suggested a very nice Gelato place in town to kill the time. We were exhausted and didn't want to go out for dinner so she suggest take out from the pub behind the hotel which was very good. Then rooms are pretty much what you expect at a Best Western as were the amenities. However the free cookies at the coffee bar were a hit with the kids.
When we first arrived the girl at the counter was not very friendly or overly helpful, however when I went back to ask about the guest laundry the woman was very good. The room was large and comfortable. We walked from the Inn to Olympic Beach and along the marina and there are quite a few restaurants, cafes and coffee shops nearby. The included breakfast was above the standard that we had experienced in other motels which was a lovely surprise. The staff during check-out were very cheerful and helpful.
Conveniently located to waterfront, and supposedly rated very good. I stayed for 5 nites. The a/c is outdated at this property. Hallways were not very cool and no wall thermostats in rooms. Breakfast options were not healthy. Only offered pineapple for fresh fruit. Cereal choices were limited. Basically ate hard boiled eggs everyday. Reentry from pool requires a code rather than swiping room key. Computer is very outdated, and problems with their internet (Google Chome). Wi-fi is not set up for their printer to sync with your phone or tablet. The hot water pressure in the shower was great, along with 24 hr coffee service. If this is typical of a BW Plus, I hate to think what the downgraded properties are like.
Very helpful and personable staff. Breakfast included meat and eggs. Rooms very nice. Within walking distance of water, train station, restaurants, ferry. We left our car parked all weekend and walked around Edmonds and used Amtrak to get in and out of Seattle. Would definitely stay there again and highly recommend.
Family reunion was marred due to a lack of communication between corporate and the actual hotel. Despite numerous attempts to verify and confirm our 8 rooms, there were multiple issues. This resulted in my family having to switch rooms after 1 day, and another family member being told they could not stay there the first night, but then getting charged as a no show (BWE did remove that charge after we disputed.) Further, the hotel told us we were only booked through Sat and we had booked through Sun. The front desk staff wasn't too concerned about resolving and continued to put blame on us since we made reservations through corporate. Last, our new room we had to switch to didn't' get cleaned on day 1 and the desk mgr. told me we had declined service (we did not). PS there is a train which goes by frequently - just saying. Didn't bother us.
Hotel is in a very good situation for eating at restaurants. Right next to the sea for a lovely evening walk around the harbour. The hotel is comfortable, good parking, the room we had could do with a facelift. Probably not changed since the previous century.
It is a nice hotel with clean rooms and comfortable beds. The breakfast is very good, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the pool is nice. It is located close to shopping, the beach, good restaurants, and the ferry.
This hotel is a great alternative to staying in Seattle centre. It's a 3 minute walk to the train station and a 25 minute ($4) ride into Seattle. Also it's a 2 minute drive to the ferry terminal, great if you're going on to Olympic National Park as we were. The hotel itself is great value, good large rooms and big selection at breakfast. Edmonds waterfront area is very pretty, nice for an evening stroll and la Brisa is a great Mexican restaurant 10 minutes walk away. One down side to the proximity of the railway is that freight trains sometimes sound their horns in the middle of the night. Keep your windows closed!
I had to change rooms after the first day. I had two reservations. The second secured a better rate the 2nd and 3rd night of my stay. I was not informed when I checked in that I had to change rooms so staff had to move my belongings when I was not there. It was unnerving having strangers assemble my stuff and move it out of the room. The train horn at 11pm was also a surprise to me. We heard it every night.
Always get a reservation for this Edmonds event. Nice room (corner) NW wing first floor... Easy parking and access to room from parking....Room 127 is a kitchenette....A/c worked excellently---two large windows face West (no view) and NW (no view) two blocks from Amtrak crossing...yes---frequent train whistles....no problem for us. SE wing may be quieter but there are no kitchenetts in that wing....Nearby is Harbor View Athletic Club, two breweries, several restaurants, a distillers outlet, Pizza, Fish and chips, two large restaurants with sound views dining....ferry terminal two blocks away and so too is the Amtrak station..... Large room---good lighting---tiny bathroom (room for one barely to get in as door is next to toilet)...nice shower/tub combo....no safety grab bars so caution.... Morning free breakfast varies daily and is well stocked, clean and well served. Cookies fresh daily PM----outdoor pool-(seasonal) great staff service and attentive housekeeping.
The room was great, staff was wonderful, and the breakfast was very good. My three rating stems from train whistles all night long, approximately every hour. I am a light sleeper and it is hard to get a good nights rest when you hear the train horns blaring so frequently. The hotel is within walking distance to the Kingston Ferry and there is a nice bar and grill in the shared parking lot. Hotel is easy to find and close enough to the ocean you can wake up and smell the ocean breeze.
Our room was very comfortable and updated, the breakfast was varied, the location was close to the Edmonds Ferry and the surrounding town. Also, there was a fun and inexpensive restaurant next door to the hotel.
I arrived at this hotel with my husband late after a flight into Seattle. We stayed here as we were taking the whale watch tour the next day. The room was spotless, the water pressure in the shower was great, and the bed was comfortable. The hot tub was in great working order and was a great way to start the day. The staff was very polite and helpful. They made suggestions as to where to eat the night before and kept our bags until after the whale watch. I would recommend this hotel if you will be staying in Edmonds.
We have stayed here a number of times it is always a relaxing stay. The price is reasonable and we stay here rather than downtown Seattle. A 20 minute drive To downtown and the waterfront save money and relax in a quiet spot by the water.
Great staff at a nice hotel. Good food with very good food service workers. At night I enjoyed the sounds of an occasional train. I like being reminded that the economy is moving along nicely. The sound of goods being transported should be a comfort to every American.
Very clean and comfortable. Everyone is very friendly. Good breakfast is supplied for free. But bring earplugs if you plan on sleeping because the hotel is located next to a busy train track. Lots of train horns blowing well into the night.
In the overall scheme of things, when comparing this hotel to hotels "everywhere," this is a pretty average hotel. But, if you're looking to stay in Edmonds, this is easily the best option. You're right downtown, so you can walk to restaurants, bars, beaches, and the ferry. Also, our room was comfortable, our bed was comfortable, the breakfast was pretty good, and the price was a very good overall value for high season.
The Harbor Inn is the place my husband and I always stay. It's within walking distance of the Kingston ferry, downtown Edmonds, the waterfront, and all the amenities we want. The hotel is clean, bright, and the staff is always welcoming and helpful. Breakfast is very well stocked, with lots of variety and fresh food. We now book a year in advance to guarantee our space at the hotel. Truly a lovely place.
Loved our spacious room with a kitchenette that actually had a 2-burner stove and pots and pans to cook, a bonus for a family traveling together. However, a couple bumps took away from overall enjoyment of property. One was a noise complaint about our kids (who were not making noise other than walking across our second floor room; it seems that there's very little sound proofing and walls were thin). The other was the fact that something happened on the morning of check-out that made the pool unavailable. We weren't the only guests who were disappointed by this, especially since the hotel didn't seem to have notified guests and didn't put up a sign indicating what the problem was or when it would be resolved.
Everything was wonderful. Staff all extremely helpful nice and polite. Location was excellent. Room was wonderful. Did not use hot tub or pool but will try to next time. We had a reunion at the Channel Marker and was great to walk to room and not worry about driving home at 2:00 a.m. Thank you all very much.
Nice hotel close to a Ferry and lots of shopping and eating places close by. We enjoyed the comfort of the hotel. Nice breakfast too. One complaint was the noisy train whistles in the morning which isn't the hotels fault.
Found room infested with spiders when returned after wedding reception. I killed 20-30 before going to sleep. Attempted to report issue at check out but attendant was busy on phone and just handed me my bill and went back to his phone call.
Edmonds is a community 20 minutes north of Seattle with a ferry terminal. The downtown area is good for walking and shopping. Several good places to eat. The Harbor Inn is within walking distance of the shopping and dining areas. The rooms are a nice size and comfortable. The included breakfast is a well prepared, typical BW Plus meal. Friendly staff. Good value.
Excellent hotel, comfortable rooms, friendly and accommodating staff. Relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommend this establishment. Close to Washington State Ferry terminal. Highly recommend this hotel while away from the Seattle crowd it is close enough to drive to the attractions and return for a relaxing evening.
My experience at the Best Western Plus at Edmonds, WA was absolutely perfect! The location is wonderful, the front desk and housekeeping staff fantastic and the amenities great! I will stay at no other Seattle area hotel!!
We stayed at the Harbor Inn for a wedding weekend. The location was fantastic for walking along the Harbor, going to the Saturday Market and shopping in the sweet stores downtown. It's within a few blocks from the Ferry and the Sounder, public transit. All around good experience.
Stayed here 2 nights while visiting Seattle, en route to Port Angeles. The hotel has a great location, two blocks from the shoreline, where several restaurants are located. Makes for a great sunset walk along the boardwalk! The Puget Sound ferry is just 3-4 blocks away also, very convenient if you're crossing to the other side. The hotel itself is economical, very clean, with friendly, welcoming staff. It has a small pool, as well as a small laundry. It's an easy drive from here to Seattle, and it's far cheaper than downtown hotels. If you don't mind the drive, and want somewhere to stay, away from the hustle and bustle of downtown, this is a great place. Definitely would stay here again!
As many times as we return to Edmonds we always stay here. The rooms are clean and comfy, the staff is very sweet and helpful. You can easily walk anywhere. And eventually the train horn becomes background noise :)
Clean and comfortable, this Best Western is just two blocks from Puget Sound and its famous fishing pier. Everything we needed was handled quickly by efficient and friendly staff, from finding us a bottle of water when the machine was empty to printing our boarding passes. The junior suites are like small apartments—very roomy. My husband could watch the news in the living room while I read in the bedroom. Comfortable beds and we slept well.
Nice rooms by the water. Quiet place to stay, great for business, nice views. Decent service, friendly enough. The rooms were nicely appointed and updated. The most important things for me are quiet and a view both of which i got.
Love the location and rooms and price and customer service! Our bed was very old and lumpy, but everything else was perfect!! The beach was 2 blocks away and the ferry landing is there too. Beautiful sunsets and great choices of restaurants close by. The sweet breakfast Lady really did a amazing job cooking...Yummmy!!!
This is a lovely property situated right near the ferry stop. We stayed here for four nights and really enjoyed our stay with the exception of the freight trains that went by just two blocks away at all hours. We did get used to it and I had ear plugs. The breakfast was better than the other hotels we stayed in. Getting to Seattle takes over an hour because of all the traffic but we were very near the Boeing Plant tour that we liked very much. The downtown of Edmonds has nice shops and places to eat.
This is a fine hotel: helpful, friendly staff, very good breakfast, great location, comfortable rooms. You can walk to the Kingston ferry from the hotel, and plenty of fine restaurants nearby. The only downside is that it is right next to a very busy railroad. The trains do abate quite a bit in the evening, but it is the main Pacific Coast line, so during commute hours it is very busy, and the train crews delight in hitting the horn right as they pass the hotel (actually I think they are required to do so, since there is a major crossing near the hotel). It didn't bother us, and they will try to accommodate you by relocating you to a quieter room if one is available.
We stayed here for a week during the July 4 holiday. The breakfast buffet is better than in most hotels I've stayed and is included with the room rate. Our room was very suitable, with a king bed and 2 comfortable chairs. It is convenient to downtown, the ferry, the fishing pier and the harbor area with lots of pubs, coffee shops and eating spots within walking distance. This was our second stay here and it has remained consistent during the 2 stays. Employees are friendly and prompt to clean rooms. There is a pool.
Hotel is in a nice area by the water and Ferry. Only downfall is the noise from the trains during the night. Plenty of restaurants and shops in the area. Beautiful area if you have time to drive around.
Located near downtown and close to the harbor is this great hotel. It's within a block or 2 of walking distance to the pier, small beach front and the Kingston Ferry (which sails every 15 minutes-you can walk onto the ferry or drive your car). Along the small coastal line on the pier are cute little statues of sea lions, great for pictures with the children. Close to downtown and all the neat shops and restaurants. Great service by staff and extremely comfortable beds. Breakfast is great. This is the perfect location for a family vacation because of it's close proximity to Puget Sound harbor. Also, it's tucked away behind some businesses so it's quiet (except for an occasional train which isn't too loud). Arnie's is great fish restaurant on the pier near the marina just around the corner from the hotel. The closest Walmart is about 10-15 minutes away in Lynwood just off Interstate 5. I highly recommend this area for a family vacation or a couple's retreat away. It's a very relaxing area.
Stayed end of June to be close to friends. Above average across the board for all service related issues. Walking distance to downtown Edmonds, which offers a variety of dining options. Beware of two issues: the first is the close proximity of active train tracks which provide opportunities to hear the train at night, and the housekeeping which arrived promptly at 0800 each morning, which may be too early for most.
This is a hidden gem, really. My only complaint would be our difficulty finding the property. Maybe a bigger sign for the seniors. This place is great and far above the expectations of an older hotel in downtown USA. The staff is friendly & inviting. The pool & hot tube was clean & comfortable. The usual industry breakfast was a notch above. The ferry horn & train whistle only adds to the ambiance of this great place. Downtown Edmonds has great shops, a plethora of restaurants, and we took a wonderful walk along the Puget Sound waterfront. The room was clean but a little dark. The TV was great size and abundance of channel selection. Bathroom/shower was very clean. Not a fan of the on-wall soap/shampoo dispensers in the shower. We will definitely return to Edmonds and to the Harbor Inn. It was noticeable that the City of Edmonds has made some effort, unlike many other cities, to remove their homeless from the tourist areas.
This hotel is nestled among office buildings, so after a 10-hour drive, we wondered if we'd taken a wrong turn. We hadn't and what we discovered is a gem. Close to the beach (5-minute stroll), and closer to restaurants, the Harbor Inn makes for a great getaway spot for families and couples, as well as for business trips. The train passing by was, for us, charming. As was the occasional horn burst from a docking ferry. So if you're a light sleeper, you probably want to bring some ear plugs.
Great location for Amtrak! Prefect left our car while on train to Canada Thanks for the convience! Only thing need a sign on both entrance on road to be able to find hotel! But otherwise a great hotel!
The edmonds Best Western harbor Inn is a great hotel! I have been staying there for years because of a great staff and accomodations. Whenever I am in the area, i would pick this hotel. Edmonds area is fun as well!
Lovely little town, convenient to stores and some restaurants/bars. Wish I could have spent time exploring. The proximity to the ferry would have also been a plus if time allowed. Entry into the hotel was a little confusing.
I stayed here for two nights. Check in was tedious. I asked for a quiet room but my room was already assigned and no change was possible. Hotel was fully booked so I understand the situation but I checked in at 3pm so switching rooms should be possible. I was really dissatisfied. My room was facing the entrance area and I was disturbed by come-and-go cars, talking people, people on their phone, and smoking people. And yes, there is this ever mentioned again noise of the railroad. The room was clean and comfy and wifi quality was mediocre.
Love this hotel, walking distance to waterfront, great restaurants, downtown Edmonds shops. Great staff, clean rooms, good breakfast. Only request is the addition of easy chair(s) in room as desk chair is not comfortable and one guest must sit in bed to view TV.
We went to see Rick Steves give a lecture on traveling in Europe again (fun and educational) and this time decided to stay in Edmonds. There really is only one hotel in town but our room was great and the staff was friendly and helpful. You can walk to the restaurants on the pier. It is less than a 1/2 mile from the downtown shops and restaurants. The town is a quintessential small town...charming to just stroll around with some nice shops and good restaurants.
We always choose this spot in Edmonds. It is convenient and quiet (except for the nearby train!). The staff is excellent. We find the rooms to be well equipped and everything works well. We have stayed many times at this location, and we've not been disappointed.
We often stay at the Harbor Inn when we fly into Seattle. So convenient for us to decompress and just relax before heading North back to our Beach house in Blaine WA. The convenience of Amtrak that travels between Seattle and Vancouver, BC. is only a 3 minute walk away. The hotel is near the beach and all the amenities you need are within walking distance.
I wish I could give 5 stars, but the noise from the railroad was bothersome. Several restaurants and pubs were within walking distance. It's a comfortable place. The staff was courteous and helpful and the town of Edmonds was nice. I want to stay again and take a ferry to the islands.
The hotel is set back aways from the main road with the entrance path off of a side street. The hotel is well run and very clean. We had a king suite with an outside entrance on the ground floor. No noises from surrounding rooms. Occasional train horns, but not overly loud and few of them. The town center of Edmonds is only 5 minutes away and is quaint and clean with many shops and restaurants on several blocks each way from the center fountain. Near us by the shore was Arnies restaurant which had good happy hour food and farther down was Anthony's which was very well run. Not much of a view from our room, but the shore and walkways were near by and a trail started by our room door near a fitness club.
Stayed there on our road trip through the Northwest. Tired after a long drive from Boise, Idaho. Room was comfortable and we got a good nights sleep. Good service and a good breakfast. Good location, close to the harbor.
My husband and myself enjoyed two nights at this hotel. The staff were friendly, the complimentary breakfast plentiful. We enjoyed omelets, sausage, variety of breads to toast, sweet rolls, fresh pineapple, nice and sweet, yogurt, you can make waffles, juices, coffee, cereals, etc...Freshly baked cookies are always available in the lobby as well as coffee and teas. We upgraded to a room with a wet bar, sofa, coffee table, microwave. Comfortable room. I am a light sleeper but only heard the train a couple of times. Didn't bother me, the location is very convenient to things in town. Edmonds is a charming town, wonderful gift shops, not junk....I spent over $100 just in the first two shops I visited, next to each other. The Wooden Spoon and Treasures & Teas.
I liked this hotel, the staff were nice and courteous and the proximity to the beach and marina is a plus. The only problem is that it is also right next to an active train crossing and train station. Great if you are arriving by train, but not so great if you plan on getting a good night's sleep. My suggestion would be to enjoy the town and surrounding area but do not count on getting too much sleep if you are a light sleeper.
Stayed here because we were doing whale watching trip. The hotel is within easy walking distance to the harbor so we did not need to drive and park. Staff was very helpful and pointed out several nearby and walkable restaurants in the area. Room was very clean and beds comfortable.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a very nice room with two comfortable chairs, microwave, small fridge, and lots of space. The breakfast was wonderful with numerous high quality choices, fresh fruit, cooked items, cereal and sweets. The scrambled eggs were the best hotel eggs I have had.
Great stay. Excellent service. Friendly staff. Maintenance person went out of his way to locate my daughter's tooth that fell out while swimming. Only downside was bed was a bit soft for my liking. Excellent location. Would definitely stay again.
We have stayed at this Best Western facility several times I've the past 5 years. Every time our experience was fantastic. There are so many shops and restaurants near this hotel, "The Harbor Inn", that there is always fun stuff to do during our stays here.
Very well run hotel at this price point. For everything being so good the pillows were a little cheesy but other than that top notch top to bottom. Highly recommended. Good Breakfast. Great staff. Above average cleanliness.
We love this hotel. It makes us feel like home away from home. The lobby is cozy and welcoming. Their staffs are very helpful and pleasant. Our bed was very comfy and the room was spacy. Even this hotel is old but it's clean and tidy. It's so relaxing. There is one thing bothers us. Amtrak station is very close by. Trains passed by almost once a hour until very late in the night. If you're a light sleeper may have to reconsider. Otherwise, we love this hotel
Central located in the harbor district. Easy access to I-5 freeway Union Pacific Railway near enough to keep a person awake at night with the loud train signals when it leaves the area going in either direction. Other than the train noise a great location for the Best Western property.
This was by far my worst hotel experience. The bathroom was not properly cleaned. The blinds on our street-level room were broken and we were unable to have privacy, and when I tried to lower the blinds the wooden (or faux wooden) valance fell off and hit me in the face. The bridge of my nose was lacerated. The valance was not affixed with nails or screws, but with magnets! The hotel was sold out so we had to say in the room. All in all, a terrible experience.
I am an elite status member. I travel for business and use BW quite a bit. I specifically made a reservation for "a quiet room" so I could do work. My room was above the pool when an extremely noisy child was making alot of noise. I found this disruptive and mentioned it to the front clerk who told me" Well its not 10 pm yet. And I said, "I am here for work, not relaxation or pleasure." Then she told me that since I had requested a quiet room that maybe another room could be used but that the only room avail was a junior suite and i would have to pay for it. That is unacceptable. For all the money I spend at BW I expected a better response and service. Disappointing.
Nice hotel. Complimentary breakfast was basic but solid. Rooms were clean. Id recommend using the shower mats... since I didn't and slipped and fell on my thigh which resulted in a bruise the size of a football :( Only complaint would be that we spoke to front desk about paying cash upon check out. When we did check out they said there wasn't any notation on our preference and the credit card was already charged. Not a big deal but the woman was less than enthusiastic about refunding the payment on our credit card and accepting our cash. Overall, i would stay again :)
Lovely hotel with views of Puget Sound, staff was very helpful with directions, housekeeping very considerate of our schedule, and breakfast was very good. This hotel is within walking distance of the shops and restaurants downtown; wonderful location. We will definitely stay here again.
Excellent staff most helpful and courteous. Could even help me with a computer issue. Rooms are spacious, clean and just wonderful. Close to shopping and recreation (whale watching). Staff was soooo helpful made reservations for us. Just a wonderful experience-best hotel we've been in so far and we've been traveling for 19 days. This is the best we've had to date. Oh did I mention they have an excellent workout room and too many amminities to mention. And a terrific staff! Loved the place! Hate to leave!
Convenient location- next to ferry Friendly staff. Helpful. Inconvenient location - next to train tracks. Very noisy. Beds have no support. Poor sleep. Room was clean. All was good except the most important part - the beds.
Our room was clean and comfortable, and the management were friendly and helpful. Our two most excellent surprises were the complimentary, delicious breakfast, and the hotel's location. We were one block from the harbor and a fabulous and friendly restaurant, and we were within walking distance of Edmonds' attractive downtown area.
Beds were comfortable. Rooms were clean. Staff was friendly. You can even bring your dog. :) However, the train. I don't mind trains and these trains are close. The problem with the train is that it scared our dog. I didn't know she was scared of train whistles because we don't have trains near us. Unfortunately, I had a bad time sleeping because I was worried about my dog. So, if you don't mind trains and you bring your dog that doesn't mind trains you'll be fine.
We are a little disappointed with this hotel. Everything was "okay" but nothing was extra special. We had to unplug the fridge because it was very noisy and made it hard to sleep. The bathtub was very small. There was a train client that while it's up several times during the night. Staff was okay, but a little edgy. Very concerned that we initial about the rules, such as agreeing to pay $10 if we lose the key, etc. Would not return.
This motel is an outstanding place to stay always stay here when traveling to the Seattle area, quiet location. Easy walking distance to two excellent restaurants, Anthony's and Earnies. The wife became ill second day and was allowed to check out a day early.
We were a little apprehensive about some of the previous comments made by others about the train noise..but I could barely hear them when they came thru..Highly recommend and would stay there again If you like Italian food, try Bucatini's just up the road about 1/2 mile or so
Always helpful, friendly, courteous, greeted by name, helpful with sites, travel, etc. Even when inadvertently leaving something in the room (shirt) calling and arranging shipping once we arrived home.
We had a suite which was nice because we could spread out. It also had a kitchenette which we really didn't use except for the refrigerator. Walking distance to many restaurants, shops, ferry dock, beach. Breakfast was about the same as other hotels. What I really liked was the free chocolate chip cookies in the lobby!
This BW Plus is clean, nicely furnished, and staffed with helpful and capable employees. It is indeed located a block or two from the harbor (there is no water view) and a similar distance from charming downtown Edmonds. It is also located in the middle of an office park that includes a fitness center. At about 5 am cars pull in and park right in front of the first floor rooms. The envelope of the hotel building is paper thin which means engine noise, slamming car doors, radio broadcasts, and even conversation drifts through the windows and walls unimpeded. Even the curtains provided no relief as they only framed the window rather than extending all the way across and providing protection from noise and light. But the real problem? The reason you should not stay here, unless you are a very heavy sleeper, is the trains. The roll by with great frequency on tracks that are within a city block. You can hear and feel the steel wheels on the rails and the whistles are like a bedside alarm clock going off in 30 to 90 minute increments throughout the night. The owners of this BW do nothing to warn guests or mitigate the disruption. From the previously mentioned lack of curtains and cheap construction to the fact that they do not provide ear plugs, it is clear they have chosen to pretend the problem does not exist.
Great hotel in a good location. Close to waterfront and excellent proximity to the I5 and Seattle's attractions. Very clean and excellent breakfast. This hotel is an excellent alternative to staying right in Seattle. Typical Best Western high quality.
Except for the train, it was ok. Bed not so comfortable and needs to be replaced. I've stayed in better BWPlus. I stay at BW Plus for the bed quality and this didn't meet my expectations. Everything else was great!
This was my very first visit to Edmonds/Seattle, and I quite enjoyed myself. It was a quick turn-around visit as I was just there overnight...destinations: Pikes Place (Seattle), Puget Sound, and Rick Steves Europe HQ. My Best Western room was comfortable, staff was very pleasant, and a very short drive to the RS Europe office. I took a stroll to the Puget Sound and watched the ferries come and go...drank in the view...and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I do plan to return for a longer stay the next time.
This hotel is within walking distance of the train station, downtown and a wonderful selection of restaurants. Room was extremely clean!! Bed was nice and comfy. Quite a selection of breakfast choices.
This hotel is clean, well-maintained, and so very comfortable. The front desk service is fantastic. We stay here often and it is consistently outstanding. The location is great for us. We always enjoy the close proximity to shops and restaurants in downtown Edmonds plus the Edmonds/Kingston Ferry.
Booked through Expedia, was not advised of train noise. And that train blows horn during the night loudly. Also given impression that hotel was waterfront, but it isn't. Water is however within walking distance.
Great hotel. Just a minute walk from the Edmond's beach. You're close to fun shopping and great restaurants. The hotel is always clean and the staff is very friendly. It's also quiet and peaceful. A bit of a drive from the freeway, but worth it. My only advice is that they upgrade the pillows and beds. Beds are very firm (which some will love). Could withstand that more easily with some really great pillows. You do get lots of pillows, but they smush down easily.
Many thanks to Michelle who work the night desk and helped us find a room very late in the night. Secured a very clean comfortable room and helped us with all the BW amenities available. Will look to add BW into our next business plans.
I stayed at this location twice in March 2017. 3 days then went to CA with my Mom and then another 3 days after trip with Mom. The hotel is excellent, Great location. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great and the Cookies at night were delicious. Would highly recommend.
We stayed for 1 night in a standard King room which was large & roomy. The bed was the most comfortable bed l have slept in, marvellous!. The room was very well maintained and clean. The hotel is located very close to the harbor, so convenient if you are wanting to go on the Ferry. The staff are very polite, friendly and very helpful, nothing seems to be too much of a bother for them. Plenty of nice restaurants in the area to eat at. Overall a very pleasant stay at a great Hotel. Would recommend highly.
I had out-patient surgery at Swedish Hospital and recovered over the weekend at this hotel. It was exceptionally clean and spacious; the manager (Dave) was extremely friendly and accommodating. It was generally a little bit noisy during the day, but was mostly quiet during the night. The breakfast was very good with many options from cold to hot, fruit to sausage. (This hotel offers a medical rate for those seeking treatment at Swedish.)
Everything you would need for a one night stay. Loved the double sinks in the bathroom, well equipped kitchenette in the room. Most importantly a very comfortable, soft bed. We slept soo good. Short drive to downtown for half the price of downtown hotel.
We stay here anytime we are in the Seattle area, this time it was for a seahawk game, the sounder train is a 3 minute walk away and drops you right at the stadiums, and brings you back after the game. Nice area near the waterfront with pubs restaurants and the ferry terminal right there. As I've said before I cant say enough good things about this place, we love it, everyone who works there is super friendly and the place is quiet and clean. Trains do go by a lot so if that bothers you ask for a room on the east side of the hotel. Breakfast is excellent. Its our home away from home. Thanks again Harbor Inn!
We spent 2 nights here recently and were very happy we did. It's a nice hotel with a nice breakfast included. We'd gone to the Seattle area for a concert (Taj Mahal-another story). Edmunds was much more affordable than Seattle. Right next to the hotel is a pub, Channel Marker. Also, just a short walk down the road is the Ferry Terminal. We crossed to Kingston in the rain and enjoyed a walk around Kingston. After a couple hours we boarded the ferry to return to Edmunds. When we were ready to leave, we found that a friend had dropped her keys in our car. We took the keys to the hotel desk and called our friend and told her where her keys were. The hotel staff made sure she got them.
Perfect stop off in Edmonds, we were getting the ferry very early in the morning and this hotel was ideal for location. Just a short walk into the town & access to the beach steps away. Staff were super friendly. What a great start to our road trip
A nice hotel, typical of this chain. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly. I put a Do Not Disturb notice on my door one day and the house cleaning folks left me a voicemail telling me when the staff would be finishing servicing rooms if I wanted mine done, which I thought was a nice touch and which I have not experienced before.
Peaceful hotel in Edmonds. Close to the Edmonds waterfront and fishing pier, great walking area. Within walking distance to several great restaurants and a short drive to downtown Seattle. The best of all worlds, peaceful and useful.
Great multi-choice breakfast, including fresh fruit. Delicious cookies in late afternoon and evening, Free USA Today and local newspapers. Welcoming staff. Convenient location for visiting our grandchildren.
Spent 3 nights room was very clean. Staff were very helpful and friendly . Breakfast was a perfect start to the day.I would stay here again and would have no problem recommending it to anyone. Stay was very quite, we travelled all over the Seattle area from here and found the location and price to be perfect for us
This was the second time I stayed at this best western and, both times service was amazing. If your Edmond this is a great place to stay. Close to the water and right next to the best coconut cream pie in Edmond.
My family stayed here for 5 nights while visiting family in Seattle. The hotel is beautiful! The staff was very friendly and attentive, and a delicious breakfast was served each morning. The hotel was in a great location, easily able to travel to Seattle and the surrounding area while sightseeing. I would highly recommend this hotel to other travelers, and we will definitely stay here again next time we're in the area.
We were here for a wedding, and stayed one night. The concierge was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were excellent and very clean, and well maintained. The complimentary breakfast was very good -- eggs, bacon, build-your-own waffle, muffins, cereal, coffee, etc. I really enjoyed my stay.
I have stayed at few best westerns This was a upscale for me. Nice room great staff greeted me after a long drive on a very rainy nite. Beds were comfortable bathroom was big. Breakfast was good. Over a good place
Overall, this was a good stay. Very polite and helpful staff. The hotel and rooms were clean. Breakfast was good. Location was great, walkable to much of Edmonds, ferry and the waterfront. The only issue was the train. The train passes and blows its horn a few times a night. Bring earplugs.
The reason we rate this hotel terrible is based on the general filthiness of the room. We stayed in one of the suites, it had a fireplace and Jacuzzi tub. We didn't even want to get in the tub, the jets were scummy inside, who knows when if ever they were last cleaned. There were hairs and just dirt all over the bathroom also. The carpeting was dirty, got bottom of our white socks blackened pretty quickly. Then there's the long black hairs in the bed sheets which were replaced with a 'fresh' new set...which also had long black hairs in them. Also, the fireplace didn't seem to work, but with everything else we didn't give it much thought. All around, just yuk. (We're so glad we only stayed the one night, we originally had a two night reservation but due to husband work schedule change we had to cancel 2nd night). If you don't like to live/stay in filthy conditions you won't want to stay at this hotel, especially for how much money they charge. Not that we would stay there for less money or even free though, we will just never stay there again.
we always stay here. the location is great for us wheather we travel by car, train or ferry.the inn is very consistent. breakfast is good. the front desk isalwaysfriendly and the innis always very clean. the staff is very friendly. over all experience is great and good value.
Super clean and nice little extras in the room. Great cable on television. Always had fresh coffee and cold water. Could walk right to the beach or the adorable town. The staff was very nice and always willing to help.
It was a nice stay. The room was ready and clean. The staff was helpful and pleasant. The hotel is weird to get to from the road. The air system in the room was odd, but we worked it out. Funny small town by the ferry.
You can spend all afternoon wandering that amazing waterfront park. And of course the shops & cafe's, where you may prefer to breakfast as I did on day #2. Hotel offered uninspired and even perplexing breakfast. Was that scrambled eggs?
I usually like BW hotels but I would not recommend this one. With a name like harbor inn we assumed it would be close to the water. Not!! Our room faced a fitness center parking lot and directly behind that was a railway. Several times during the night trains rumbled by with their horns blaring. In the morning when expressed my displeasure with our room location the clerk was quite flippant and remarked all the rooms were noisy. I found that hard to believe with the many wings this hotel has. If you want a quiet nights sleep this hotel is not the place to stay.
Super Clean Best Western property! Great location in Edmonds, walking distance to restaurants. Four blocks to shopping. Walking distance to Washington State Ferry to Kingston! A block to beach. Train noise was bothersome during the night, bring ear plugs!
A nice economical hotel in downtown Edmonds. It's a very short walk to great seafood restaurants, a brewery and downtown Edmonds. If you stay overnight anywhere close to the Puget Sound between Seattle and Vancouver you will hear trains rumbling through at night. This Best Western is no exception. It didn't wake me, but a business associate staying in another room commented about being woken by the train. I will definitely stay here again. The staff was friendly, they have an outdoor pool and hot tub.
Excellent Hotel. Good location, enjoyed the stay. Would recommend this hotel for anyone going to Edmonds, WA on business or pleasure. Staff is very helpful, breakfast was good every morning. The hot tub was nice, water temp was perfect.
Excellent breakfast, lovely decor, but the check in was slightly disappointing. I was told there would be no points awarded since I booked with Expedia. I was also told that because one night was added to the reservation I would have to check out then check in during the last night. That was resolved very fast, which I appreciated. There were a couple (2) bugs in the bathroom but otherwise it was clean. I thought this would be closer to the harbor, or with some kind of a view. There is no view and you have to walk to the harbor. Be creative with parking. Only had one chair in the room.
My girlfriend and I stayed at the Best Western in Edmonds for one night to celebrate our 11th anniversary. It is a charming little town and the hotel was perfect. It is right in the middle of town and close to good restaurants and the sights. We might do it again next year.
A large comfortable bed, an exceptionally clean room, friendly and helpful staff, and a great breakfast buffet. What more could a guest want? The location is also very convenient, within walking distance to downtown Edmonds, several fine restaurants, fishing and ferry piers, and the walking beach.
Nice hotel with a fairly solid free breakfast (eggs, bacon or sausage, pastries, waffle iron, cereal, fruit). Walking distance of downtown Edmonds, the ferry, and the waterfront. But pricier than it should be. Especially since the train station is right across the street and you can expect to hear the VERY LOUD train whistle at all times of the day and night. Also, the pillows are very lumpy and not terribly comfortable.
We can't recommend this hotel enough. The location was wonderful--within walking distance to downtown Edmonds where there's lots of places to dine on or near the water. Walking distance to the beach and the ferry. The hotel was clean, comfortable. The staff were amazingly helpful and friendly. The breakfast was a full breakfast with eggs, breakfast meat, fruit, waffles, toast, etc. Fantastic stay for a great value. We'll be back for sure. Edmonds Best Western is our first choice.
Nice hotel in the harbor area, breakfast was good and rooms nice and clean, its kind of Best Western standard and you get what you expect. Train and ferry can be anoying but it didn't bother us. Service an staff all good, we had 2 good nights here.
BW Harbor Inn in Edmonds, WA is a wonderful place to stay, either for vacation or for business purposes. Located near the marina, this jewel is within walking distance of the downtown area, which has several good restaurants and shops. The staff is courteous and professional, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the breakfast - quite substantial - varied each morning thus alleviating boredom. There is a free on-site small gym, as well as entry to a larger gym close by for a very nominal fee. Ferry service is quite nearby should you decide to avail yourself of a trip to Kingston and beyond.
I am only giving this hotel one star because it had no option for the worst hotel i have ever stayed in and I travel alot. Please do not waste your money at this location, they are not pet friendly even tho they claim they are. The Front staff is condescending and rude, the general manager even worse, as I can see from comments below many people have gone thru the same treatment. Take my advice stay somewhere else
The front desk staff was extremely polite and my room was clean and fresh. The bed and bedding were comfortable. The self-serve breakfast bar was typical to slightly above average for a mid-priced hotel. There was some minor train noise from the commuter train, but it wasn't bothersome and it subsided before I went to bed.
We were running late to park the car and get the train for a Mariner's afternoon baseball game. We were returning that evening to stay at the Inn. Haddie was very helpful giving us phone numbers and taking our license plate number so that we wouldn't be towed away, as we didn't have enough time to come in for a parking pass. The rooms were very nice and the breakfast was good. Very friendly, helpful staff.
We stayed at this hotel on the last night of our Seattle visit - we were taking the Amtrak to Vancouver the next morning and didn't want to pay Downtown Seattle hotel prices. Edmonds is a thirty minute train ride away from King St Station, and the hotel is a three minutes walk from Edmonds station and easy to get to. The hotel is lovely - very clean. Our room was comfortable and spacious. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Our stay included breakfast, which was fresh and there was a nice selection available. Edmonds itself is gorgeous and we were sorry we only had a short time to visit. We were so glad we decided to stay here and the room cost less than half of our downtown Seattle hotel. If we are ever in the area we would definitely stay here again.
I love the location, the service and the comfort, as well as the price (as compared to Seattle!). It's within walking distance to the ferry, downtown, the farmer's market and numerous restaurants. I used the laundry facilities, the complimentary breakfast, the afternoon cookies and coffee, the Sunday paper, and had a wonderful on-site massage. The staff was terrific and the room was very comfortable.
Consistently good. We stay here often. While not overly fancy, it is always clean and comfortable. It is within walking distance to the fun restaurants and shops of downtown Edmonds as well as the beach front. The staff are delightful. Price is great for the greater Seattle area.
Every year we take a trip to Washington State and on our last night every time we stay at the Best Western Plus Edmonds Harbor Inn. It has close beach access to walk around and enjoy you can watch the ferries come in and leave. Hotel is well kept up great pool and hot tub. Breakfast is ok but at least its offered. We never think twice about going somewhere else.
friendly staff; clean hotel--everything was neat and clean. Pool area very neat. Good breakfast room We stayed there with several family members for our daughters wedding at the Yacht club--this hotel was close by
This is the second time we have stayed in this hotel when we have gone to see a Mariners Game. This hotel is absolutely spotless both in the rooms and other common areas. The front desk staff are outstanding...very friendly, helpful and informative. They go the extra mile. The Breakfast is excellent...a notch up from the usual Best Western Breakfast. I would highly recommend this hotel and it fills up quickly, so reserve early. Great value as well.
This is a winner of a Best Western. Honestly I can't tell you the last Best Western I had stayed in because I just didn't think of them as "nice" but the trip advisor reviews helped me to select this hotel and it did not disappoint! The room was lovely, clean, modern and the breakfast was very good! The only suggestion I have is that it was a tad tricky to find - it sits back off the road just a tad.
We found this is an ideal location when visiting Seattle, close enough to travel to, but far enough away to avoid crowds. Walking distance to the cocks and fine eating (especially happy hour). Reasonably priced.
This is an excellent Best Western in an excellent area. The breakfast room is A+. The room was clean and comfy in typical BW style. Two things I would mention. The location is super close to lots of cool Edmonds stuff, however, there is no view or such from the hotel. It is literally just in a parking lot. However, walk across the street and the ocean is right there. The second comment is that it would be good to be aware that there are trains running at all hours. I am a heavy sleeper so it did not bother me one bit. My husband however found it disruptive. So it is just good to be aware of this.
We stayed here for 2 nights while visiting the area, we always choose BW and this one didn't disappoint. We chose a junior suite, which was clean and comfy as usual. Staff was friendly and courteous, and complimentary breakfast included waffles, eggs and bacon. Location was walking distance to some restaurants by the water, and only a few minutes to main street shops and dining. We took a whale watch out of Edmonds, too. (We did see Orca whales and a humpback, but the boat was very crowded because of its design.) The only downside to this hotel: we were woken by a train early one morning - so if you're trying to sleep in I'd suggest asking for a room inside (suites are accessible from the outside stairwells).
We have never had a reason to stay in Edmonds, but dear friends had just moved there, and we did not want to make more work for them by staying with them. So we stayed in this nearby motel and had dinner and breakfast with them instead. The area is just lovely. Edmonds is charming. Who knew? The motel is a spotless, friendly place. Our room was clean and pleasant. The staff were excellent. I cannot comment on the breakfast (we went out for breakfast). The lobby is fresh and large and pleasant. Free newspapers available. Decent parking. We'd gladly stay again.
Great hotel local for the big attractions of Edmonds. Also within walking distance of a nice seafood restaurant, beach and fishing pier. Friendly and helpful staff. The room was clean and bed comfortable. There is a train that passes right near the hotel, but it didn't seem to run after dark or I just didn't hear it at night.
Granted the hotel I stayed at prior to this was amazing so this ok place seemed less than but the room had a horrible smell the bed was small the bathroom, though large, was barely lit. Some good points...walking distance to Edmonds waterfront, excellent breakfast...extensive items to choose from...liked the USB ports in the room. Parking was a nightmare with the gym next door and the hotel set up is a maze from hell...oh and there are train tracks and car noises galore plus check in was a hassle. Bottom line look around a little bit
Great location. Short walk to fishing pier, upscale restaurants. Shops and city center not far away. Rooms large, clean, well appointed. Pool spotless with water comfy temp and crystal clear. Hot tub equally clean and comfortable. Tea and Coffee with 4 syrups and cookies 24/7. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast area very clean and spacious. Large selection of entrees. All of this for a very reasonable price.
Located near a harbor on Puget Sound, the air is clean and intoxicating. Staff are professional and accommodating. The hotel was nearly full but reasonably quiet. It is a Best Western so you do get the complimentary breakfast, bus this location has attentive staff and modern food service equipment which keeps the food fresh tasting.
Stayed here in late march and early april 2016. Well run, very clean and customer orientated. While i had a room in direction of the train station I woke up once per night at most. With several very good restaurants, Edmonds is a nice alternative to staying in Seattle itself. I'd come back.
Very nice and clean hotel. The staff was outstanding. We had a hair dryer that broke and they immediately replaced it. It's very close to the ferry that we took back from the Olympic Mountains. The only complaint is that it is right near a train track and there are trains that seem to go through at least once an hour, blasting the horn all night long. This isn't the hotels fault but we were woken up frequently during the night.
We were very impressed by this hotel. My in law recommended and booked it during our visit, bless him! Modern, very accessible, air conditioned, free ample parking, shopping and restaurants nearby, 5 min walk to the ferry to Kingston and 'behold' the PUGET SOUND!! Gym, swimming pool, concierge- on request, ...... Definitely above 4 star! Going by UK standards, in my opinion. We stayed in the Jacuzzi suite and I'd recommend this room for couples who appreciate that deserved quality time. Room boasts of a lounge, Jacuzzi area, fire place, coffee/kitchen area, in addition to the regulars.....there's room service and you could have a bottle of bubbly in your room if requested. Breakfast was a bit 'low key' but good. You could make your own waffles and breakfast was complimentary/free! In all, our stay was enjoyable and reasonably priced! The Jacuzzi room goes for ~$200/ night. Other rooms range between $125- $155.
It was a great place to enjoy a night in a beautiful city. The room was very relaxing. Having the coffee, tea & hot cocoa available at all time to guest was super helpful. The breakfast was very good. I recommend staying at this establishment.
I used Amtrak's well patronised 'Cascades' train to arrive from Portland with the hotel being a short walk from the staffed railway station. Check in was quite prompt. The clerk Khalid asked for a $100 additional hold on my credit cvard which is an increasing worldwide practice at hotels. I used the modern lift to reach the first floor with my room 213 being generous in size: I estimated it at 40 square metres. While the room lacked a security deposit box and did not have any view to speak off, it was equipped with a modern faltscreen television, a most comfortable bed with bedside tables and an alarm clock plus good lamps, good room lighting, two very comfortable chairs (one of which had an ottoman) and a smallish desk and chair, along with blackout and privacy curtains and a good minibar that thankfully was unstocked. The alcove had coat hangers and a railing while the small bathroom had a shower over bath - rarely the best arrangement for older folks - and a well lit sink. There may have been a hairdryer. The room was extremely quiet even though the hotel was at capacity on the Saturday night when I was there, and also busy if not completely full on the Sunday night. There was an ice machine together with Coke and snack vending machines on the floor. Room 123 on the ground floor had a laundry but its operational hours of the washing machine and dryer were restricted. It would be preferable if this was away from guest rooms to allow late night washing and drying. The hotel's breakfast area was off the spacious fake gas-flame equipped lobby. The breakfast was surprisingly good with a choice of three cereals, yoghurt, fresh milk - what does '2 per cent mean? - fresh fruit, a waffle maker - not something typically seen in my country of Australia - and bacon and eggs available. Staff were friendly with Dave at checkout being hospitable and efficient. The hotel has a smallish pool that I did not view. It was a decent 2.5 kilometre hike to Holy Rosary Catholic Church but of the 120 to 150 at the early morning 0730 hours Sunday Holy Mass, I was the only one who appeared to walk. So typical of the car obsessed USA! Overall this was an excellent hotel, undeserving of some of the nitpicking criticism that it has received. I might add that everything in and around the hotel was clean with the room looking like it had been renovated in the last few years. The sheets were crisp cotton and I enjoyed a good night's sleep, surely the number one criteria for any lodging establishment. The hotel is also a short walk or drive to Washington State Ferries' busy sailings to I think Kingston, Washington state. It is also significantly cheaper than most outrageously priced Seattle hotels. Again, on a weekend I used Amtrak's 'Cascades' train to commute each way but on weekdays Sound Transit offers four early morning (last at 0741 hours) commuter train trips for US$4 one way, returning during the afternoon/ early evening on weekdays. One can also even use Amtrak's 'Empire Builder' but it and 'Cascades' require prior bookings.
We would definitely stay at this hotel again. Great location, clean room, friendly staff that were helpful in both check in/out and restaurant recommendations. Breakfast was included which offered a good variety of items both hot and cold. Very clean and everything was tended to constantly in the breakfast area. Room was spotless. Hot tub clean and all common areas very clean and well taken care of.
Our stay at the Best Western in Edmonds, WA was very enjoyable and restful. The facility was clean and the staff was very polite and helpful. The location is near the Edmonds waterfront with nice access to the beach and the charming downtown area including many great restaurant choices. We had chosen this hotel because of the outdoor swimming pool during a hot day in the Seattle area. Although the hotel is near some rail road tracks we found that the train did not wake us at night.
All of the front desk staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful, and even joked arounds with guests a bit. Clean rooms, comfy beds, and they accommodated my extra pillows request (which usually never happens). Free breakfast includes eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, cereal, juice....you name it. Also had a bar in the lobby with fresh coffee and hot water for tea or chocolate and cookies that was stocked all day and night. Rooms were clean with plenty of amenities like shampoo, soap and even razors. Stayed here while visiting Seattle because it was so much less expensive than staying downtown (there was a football game going on), plus it was close to the ferry port from Edmonds to Kingston which was also on our itinerary. After visiting Canada for several days, we drove back to Edmonds and stayed here again before catching out flight home.
The Edmonds Harbor inn has a happy, helpful staff in all thieir departments. Hadi, and Darleene are exceptional and treat you like family. Hadi always greets me by my last name when coming through the front door. The staff imparts the feeling that they enjoy their work, and want your stay to be pleasurable. Cleanliness was paramount throughout the facility; the kitchen and food serving areas were perfect. Housekeeping people also very helpful; alawys with a smile. I have been going there yearly since the Inn was first built, and I can assure you that they seem to get better every year. They were never bad, just found small ways to keep you coming back. The only place to stay locally worth the money.
I loved this hotel. I felt like I was in Key West while I was there. The hotel layout is interesting. The breakfast is fantastic. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The pool and whirlpool are fantastic. Unfortunately, proximity to the train makes it a bit noisy.
We stayed at the Harbor Inn for the second time. The staff is excellent .....very clean, lovely outdoor pool. The best thing we like is that you can walk to a couple fun places to eat. There is a nature walk behind the hotel that you can enjoy and read about the marshes there and the bird wild life. You can hear the trains but this didn't disturbed our sleeping.......and I love the sounds. We had a junior suite which enabled me to stay up later and watch tv without disturbing someone sleeping in the separate room. Breakfast was good.
We had a pleasant stay at this Best Western hotel in Edmonds. The bed was comfortable and the room adequate. I would stay there again if I needed to stay at a low cost hotel in Edmonds. One plus for many people would be the free breakfast.
My junior suite at the Best Western Plus Edmonds Harbor Inn was even better than I expected. The junior suites are quieter and more private than the other rooms because they are located at the ends of hallways and have separate entrances. The living area has a love seat, chair, coffee table and desk with internet access. There is not only a mini-fridge but also a microwave and cupboards with wine glasses. The bedroom, which has a door to separate from the other areas, has a big screen TV of its own; the living area has another. Instead of having two sinks in the bath, there is one in the bath counter and one outside between bedroom and kitchen area, so that two people could get ready separately. The set-up is cozy, with more amenities than most people would expect.
really liked staying at this hotel. staff, location, breakfast, hottub,, we;re wonderful,,,,, be wary of train horns in the middle of the night. would recommend this hotel to everyone room was clean and inviting
Great hotel. Friendly staff. Good, free breakfast (waffles, eggs, sausage, yogurt, etc) Warm cookies every afternoon in lobby. Heated pool and jacuzzi. Rooms and clean and updated. It's a good location - not in the chaos of downtown but close enough to drive to see the sites. Kid friendly hotel and close to the ferry. Really enjoyed our stay.
This hotel is a very pleasant (and affordable) option for staying near Seattle, if you are able to rent a car to get in and out of the city. We didn't get to explore the Edmonds neighborhood while we stayed there as it was a short trip, but it seemed like a very nice, quiet suburb, with a few restaurants nearby the hotel and the waterfront in walking distance. It typically took us about 25 minutes to drive from the hotel to the city center, as long as we avoided rush hour. Our hotel room was very comfortable and clean. It was relatively quiet, except for the nearby train, which we didn't really bother us as we are heavy sleepers. The included daily breakfast had great quality and selection, with eggs and sausage or bacon, a waffle maker, bagels, pastries, muffins, cereal, and yogurt. The lobby also always had fresh coffee and freshly baked Otis Spunkmeyer cookies. And they offer a breakfast grab bag if you need to leave the hotel before breakfast opens. Overall we really enjoyed our stay, and would definitely return again. My only complaint (and the reason for four stars instead of five) is that the pillows were extremely uncomfortable - they look nice and full, but deflate as soon as you lay down on them, becoming almost completely flat. Fortunately the bed had five pillows so we were able to stack them.
We stayed here August 9-11, we always stay at this hotel when we are anywhere close to Seattle.....it is located in a great spot in a nice area and I cant say enough about this place.....its so nice and clean, secure, everyone who works here is really nice, its just great service overall. The free breakfast is always excellent.....a 2 minute walk to the waterfront, train, ferry, restaurants and pubs. It really is a home away from home. A special thanks to Hadi who always takes good care of us.......thanks and see you again in November
I was a bit skeptical when my colleague suggested I stay here. Open check-in, I was greeted by a very nice front desk clerk who recognize my special request in my room. I've traveled for business (and personal) for quite some time and a big pet peeve of mine is "Non Smoking". So I asked for a non-smoking room and he explained their policy to me and guaranteed that the room would be smoke free (which is was). Overall, the room was very nice, clean, and quiet. I had a good nights sleep, which is important. Job well done.
We recently spent a couple nights here. Clean, kid & pet friendly. The breakfast is AMAZING and they change it up daily. The staff from ALL departments very accomodating. The hotel sits back and it wasn't easy to find at first. Walking distance to the beach and shops. They even had a gift bag with treats and toys for the fur babies. ? Would definitely stay again. Thank you!
Our family of four needed an affordable hotel near Seattle, and based on reviews found this facility - not that far from downtown (perhaps 15-20 minutes north of the city and Space Needle). As other reviewers have mentioned, this is a very nice hotel; the rooms were very clean, and the staff was extremely professional and caring. The location in Edmonds was quite nice - only a minute or two from the water with a great view of the Sound. We would definitely return, and the overall value and quality of the Best Western Plus made it a very pleasant stay.
Beds, décor, breakfasts, staff. Everything was great! The only thing that required adjustment was the occasional passing of a quick night train. But even that wasn't extremely loud. We didn't hear it the second night.
We stayed here July 2016 for a week for a wedding. 12 families altogether in several rooms. The location is excellent - a beautiful setting walking distance to the waterfront, market, shops, marina, restaurants. Lovely to have a morning stroll. The Hotel is excellent - wonderful service, efficiently run hot breakfast every morning included, and the rooms are spacious and well appointed. Everything worked perfectly. I would highly recommend this place - especially for larger gatherings.
We had a great experience with this hotel. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was very clean, and comfortable. The wifi worked well and the all inclusive breakfast was quite good. The only drawback of the location was the once an hour train traffic outside. However, it wasn't too much of a bother, considering the location was near the beach and the town. We were able to walk along the boardwalk in the morning and loved this. Also, walked to the Edmonds Saturday Farmers market only about 5 blocks away. An ideal location for being close to Seattle yet not in the chaos of the city.
This is the second stay for multiple members of our family here for events. It is close to the family home. Staff could not be friendlier or more accommodating. It is really the only game in town but in no way do they treat you like that. Several of us reserve the mini suites (end of the building) so family can gather. Rooms are well appointed and clean. My mother needed to arrange last minute car service and they took care of it immediately. We'll be back!
We stayed 5 nights and our stay was very pleasant. The staff was very professional and friendly and the hotel was very clean. The only negative was the fact that trains come through all hours of the night and blowing their horn. It is a bit noisy.
We needed a hotel near our niece for a one night stay and chose this hotel based on its reviews and we weren't disappointed. We had three rooms for family members and all were happy with the fresh, clean, attractive rooms and lobby/breakfast area. A highlight was a walking trail alongside a marsh accessible from the parking lot. It was also an easy walk to the marina which has a great trail along the waterfront.
If you're staying in Edmonds, this is the place to stay. This hotel is clean and located in the perfect spot. You can walk to restaurants, entertainment, watch the trains and ferry and walk the waterfront. Hadi, the Guest Service Manager, is phenomenal at making your experience the best possible. He will go out of his way to assist you in choosing a great restaurant and sincerely cares about his guests.
My luck with Best Western hotels has always been mixed. Some are very good, some are trapped in the post-World War II era in which they were first built. This hotel was very nice, a place I will plan to stay when I return to the area. The lobby was spacious and inviting, the rooms were as pleasant and well appointed as any I have ever stayed in. There was always good coffee available and it was good. At the end of the day, it was great to have nice places to walk to.
This was our seond visit to this wonderful hotel and to Edmonds. The friendly desk clerks gave us clear information about the area and using the ferry. The two busy breakfast room ladies greeted us and gave me special help. They kept the delicious breakfast items constantly filled in spite of a very large crowd. Rooms were pleasant and quiet and beds were super comfortable. We'll stay here next time we're in the Seattle area.
My family and I stayed at the Best Western Inn from July 1-5 and first off the check in was relatively fast other than the receptionist being quite standoffish. Anyhow the lobby was very nice. Was actually quite surprised so see how clean and spacious the room was! Heads up the location is very close to a railroad track and every 2 hours or so you will hear the train and let me warn you, it is loud, and may even wake you in the evening. An upside of the location is that it is very close(approx 7min) walk to the harbour beach area and it is quite beautiful, be sure to catch the sunset! The breakfast was definitely above average, your typical bread/pastries, yogurt, juice, bacon and eggs. We also decided to catch the 4th of July fireword in downtown Edmonds which was much better than I expected and is great for people who don't want to go all the way to Seatle. Overall pretty good stay, 3.5 star!
We couldn't have been happier with the stay in this picture postcard town the and comfort of this Best Western motel. The facility is like new with extremely comfortable rooms and beds. The staff is great and extends every courtesy to the guests. A great stay and I highly recommend this BW motel.
Very clean, close to a number of restaurants, close (2-3 miles) but not too close to the major interstate highway. The Puget Sound is lovely. Hotel close to Ferries, and wineries, and downtown Seattle.
In town for an extended wedding weekend! Our stay was great, no issues with the reservations, check-in, check-out or amenities! Staff were all so friendly and genuinely pleasant! Rooms were nice, and within walking distance to wedding venue, waterfront and downtown Edmonds. Loved it!
We have been staying at the Best Western in Edmonds for 7 years on our trips to visit family. It never disappoints. The hotel is usually totally booked, but we don't hear noise in the halls or from contiguous rooms. The beds and pillows are very comfortable, and the rooms are always very clean.
We booked here for convenience of access to the ferry. Happy with the level of comfort. Were able to park close to room access. Didn't use the pool, but it was a nice one. A nicely-appointed Best Western inn--that pretty much says it all.
Our junior suite was clean and comfortable, facilities were good. Staff were very helpful. Location is central, great for exploring the shops and bars in Edmonds and for the ferry. Breakfast was tasty, thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Would stay again
I was shocked by the quality of this stay. The only complaint was that the young lady checking us is was in training and unable to handle the job. She literally ran to three breakfast room and pouted. The rooms weren't done until 345 instead is three either. That said, the actual property is very nice, the rooms amazing, and the sleep quality exceptional. The Jr. Suites are well worth it, too. Disappointing service, fair value great rooms. I'd give 5 stars if they figure out the staffing next time.
This is a great hotel located in an awesome area to walk to downtown or the Puget Sound. The beds are comfortable and the room was quiet even with the train running outside. Great hot breakfast every AM. This hotel offers everything you need. One of the best we have ever stayed in!
We loved the location of this Hotel. It was within walking distance of downtown and the waterfront areas. Felt safe in the area where the Hotel is located and walked to the harbour and the downtown areas . Downtown has funky spots to have a coffee or a drink and there are many unique stores to shop in . The Hotel was very clean , and our room was well appointed. Looks like a recent Reno has been done ! Bonus is that there is a great breakfast included in the price of the room. The staff is very friendly . We will be back - thank you for a great stay !!!
Staff very accommodating. Comfort of room was very good, a little dated look, but beds comfortable, room was clean, and quiet. Location is a bit off from shopping and restaurants, but still within walking distance to some restaurants, and small shops. Being close to bay is advantage, nice walk along the pier.
3 nights a 2 very enjoyable days at the Best Western Edmonds Harbour Inn. Great Hotel in a wonderful location about 30 minutes north of Seattle on Puget Sound. Well worth the time and money! We'll be back!
As motorcycle travel writers and touring riders, we stay in a wide variety of lodgings, from couch surfing to five stars. The BW Edmonds Harbor offers an excellent combination of location, basic amenities and value. If you don't mind walking a bit, there are several excellent restaurants, the Kingston ferry dock, small beach for the kids, and even a very nice art museum nearby. Highway access is a bit removed if you plan visits to Seattle proper, taking us about twenty-five minutes each time to Seattle or Everett. The motel is very motorcycle friendly, allowing us to park directly next to the main doors. Rooms are comfortable and clean, while the breakfast is the standard fare (full disclosure, we never use them because of my wife's celiac, but the offerings looked acceptable in general and the breakfast room was always filled during our four days there.) While the cost is certainly higher in all coastal areas, it is very reasonable when compared to Seattle. There are also many car rental options within a few miles, so you won't have to travel all the way to the airport. Will definitely stay here again when working in the area.
My wife & I spent 4 nights at the BW while visiting family in Shoreline, a few miles away. First impressions are important, and after a 2 hour flight and rental car drive from the airport, we were in the mood for a warm welcome, and we got one. I inquired about a nearby restaurant, got a good recommendation, directions, and a coupon for a free dessert. We were comfortable and really enjoyed the breakfast----especially the waffles. We walked to the ferry to Kingston which was a fun outing. Trains are an issue in the coastal areas of WA, and you do hear a train going by a few times during the night-----this was not an issue for us. We will be back for sure.
if you book here, ask to be away from the train noise. It's only $4 more and would be worth every penny. Wish I had kmown ahead of time. This review would have been a lot better. Everything was fine with the amenities, except the pool could have been warmer. I don't get in a pool that's not comfortable, and was told this was a heated pool. The hot tub was jam packed full, I guess because the pool was cool/cold.
Our pet friendly room was a clean 2x queen bed ground floor room with a mini fridge. The hotel is a short walk to the off leash dog park and the beach. There is a dog restroom (grassy spot) at the edge of the parking lot. Our yellow lab seemed to love the hotel. The dog friendly room didn't seem to be beside another pet room. Our kids were happy with the space too, especially because of the pool and breakfast. Breakfast was usual Best Western, with eggs, sausage, yogurt, cereal, fresh fruit, juice, waffles, ... We'll stay there again.
What a relaxing place. Beds were very comfy. You could open window and get ocean breeze. The breakfast was a full spread with eggs, sausage and everything else to accompany it. The internet WiFiworked great and the staff was very friendly and helpful with recommendations on where to eat. Easy walk to the water and beachfront.
We looked in Seattle for a hotel, very over priced. We decided to look at out lining towns, found Edmonds on the coast about 12 miles from Seattle. Worth the drive, close to the ferry over to Bainbridge Island which we were planning on catching . Close to downtown shopping and eating places.
Stayed here night before whale watching trip out of Edmonds. Enjoyable town, within walking distance of port. Comfortable, clean, delightful experience. Customer service was exceptional, room was spacious and clean, breakfast appreciated. Would not hesitate to return.
Love this hotel and its amenities-staff is excellent, service great, always spotless and far above average! Thank you Best Western staff for your welcoming presence in Edmonds and for the outstanding service you provide!
My wife and I are local residents. Because of some work needing to be done, our home away from home is the Harbor Inn. We've used it in the past for wedding guests and have had nothing but positive feedback. If anyone has ever spent an extended stay in a hotel, unless it was the Plaza ;o), you know how quickly things can get old. This place is the exception to the rule. The breakfasts were great, the desk staff was very, should I say accommodating and, the service staff was exceptional. Eye contact and a smile goes along way. A special shout out to Olga, one of the housekeepers that made us truly feel at home. I've never really thought of Best Western as a brand that I would spend a lot of time seeking out but, the Edmonds property is undoubtedly the best Best Western experience we've ever had...
We were more than pleased with our room and the service. We were especially pleased to find that our kitchen area included a two-burner stove top. Beds were comfortable, Internet connection was good, and over-all service was excellent! Definitely recommend this facility!
Very nice and comfortable hotel close to the harbor and train station , direct connection to Seattle and Vancouver, Canada. Train time to Seattle around 30 min, to Vancouver, Canada 4 hours and 30 min. to M Getting into Vancouver Station Vancouver (Passport control) can take a while to security. Big luggage has to travel in luggage department, so be by the station early, tickets are checked their as well. Their are some restaurants close by the hotel.
My wife and I stayed one night at this location sort of as a stop over. The place was very clean and the rooms were nice. Just a few quick observations. The water front is just a couple blocks away with a couple nice restaurant choices available. The train tracks are just a block away. I just heard the train horn at 6:00 a.m. but I am used to hearing trains back home. It was not really a problem but something to be aware of. Also there are weird dancing bear pictures in the room and in the hallway. I should have went down to the desk and asked about them but never did. It was at least something that drew our interest but kind of creepy? All in all a good stay.
Wonderful time visiting the family but no time to make use of the pool or the fitness facilities. However it was nice to return to the hotel and have cookies and a comfortable room to relax in. Having restaurants within walking distance was a big plus. There was no need to worry about driving some place and getting stuck in traffic.
We stayed at Best Western Plus Edmonds Harbor Inn for two nights on June 18 and 19, arriving there 10 pm at night. The staff on duty was knowledgeable, professional, and helped us settle down quickly (we have a 3 year old boy with us). The room was clean, comfortable and apparently well maintained. We were pleasantly surprised by the continental breakfast, which included muffins, bagels, fruits, yoghurts, juices, bread, waffle machine (make your own waffle), eggs, bacon/sausage, cereals etc., served between 6:30 am and 10:30 am. The vast majority of the staff members we encountered and interacted with were courteous, polite, professional and helpful. There was also a small swimming pool which my son loved (you can get towels from the front desk). We stayed there during Saturday and Sunday nights so did not hear train's horn until Monday morning; we therefore did not have problem of train waking or keeping us up in the middle of the night, as some other guests experienced. For quietness, choose a top floor room. For certain section of the building, the top floor was the 2nd floor, but for some the top floor appeared to be 3rd floor; we stayed in a room on the second floor and could hear steps upstairs at night (did not really bother us, thankfully, but the sound does carry). There were a couple of restaurants that offered take-outs within walking distance which the staff kindly referred us to. They were both closed by the time I got there; so I ended up driving a bit to another nearby restaurant for a take-out dinner, which was reasonably priced and tasted good. Overall, we had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would definitely recommend it to friends and family if they travel to Seattle and need a nice place to stay, especially during the weekend.
Front desk personnel were all super! They were always willing and eager to help us. We arrived one day before our reservation and they put us in a suite that was all they had available! We moved into our room down the hall for the rest of our stay. The staff member who took care of the breakfast was top notch. If she was in Georgia I'd hire her away from you. The maids also did a great job. When we fly back in 2 years for our grandson's graduation we will be staying with you in Edmonds.
This is a wonderful motel. Rooms are spacious, very clean and comfortable. Staff is helpful and friendly. Breakfast has a variety of hot and cold items that will meet anyone's needs. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate and hot cookies are provided into late evening. This is the best pet friendly motel we have ever found. We were provided a first floor room very close to easy outdoor access to the parking lot which was ideal for our 13 year old German Shepherd. The harbor was basically "out our back door" - about 1/2 block from the motel. The first night was clear with an incredible sunset over the harbor and a full moon. Absolutely awesome - and a full moon!! If there is a downside to this motel, it is that the swimming pool is outdoor. However, motel patrons have access to the Peak Fitness Center pool next door. We would stay in this lodging again in a heartbeat.
Finding a better place to stay at a better price than this would probably be impossible. This a marvelous property with a fine staff. Everything was comfortable, clean and attractive. The breakfasts were delicious with everything from eggs to fresh pineapple. I would recommend it to anyone passing through or spending time around Puget Sound.
In all honesty, this is probably a three star property, as the rooms are pretty basic and there is a nearby track which features a few too many whistling trains. However, the quality and attentiveness of the staff was five star-- hence the four star rating. They keep complimentary water, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and COOKIES(!) in the lobby, and the teens with whom we were travelling loved this. The rooms, as I said, are pretty standard fare, but they were spacious and very clean and comfortable. And, the staff (as I said) was amazing. I had a minor problem with my room upon arrival and they upgraded me to another room without my even asking. On another occasion, I had a toilet with a slow flush. I reported the problem to the desk as I was heading to breakfast. When I returned to my room, ten minutes later, the problem was fixed! AWESOME!! Breakfast is complimentary and features fresh fruit, juice, homemade waffles, bagels, muffins, cereals, yogurt, eggs, and bacon or sausage. WiFi was free in the rooms and was actually a decent speed. The location of the hotel was easy walking distance to the Edmonds town center, as well as the ferry, restaurants, and a little beach. The workout room was unimpressive-- but the hotel offered $5.00 access to a very nice health club literally next door. Overall, it was a really nice stay in Edmonds. Honestly, my only real complaint about this place was its proximity to the train.
Short one night stay right outside of the city (about 15 minutes, no traffic). The experience was A+ from check in, to the amenities and the rooms. Lots of shops and eateries within walking distance. Check in was a breeze and the staff was helpful in explaining the area and the things to see or do. The room was clean and spacious with comfortable beds. Breakfast was typical and had hot offerings so if you're not picky there is plenty to get your day started. The pool is outdoors and heated for the kids enjoyment. The only downside to this property is that the train tracks are behind the hotel and the whistles blow throughout the night. If you are a light sleeper you have been forewarned (the reason for a 4 vs. a 5 star). If this is a concern, check with the staff before booking as the trains were going to make a change to decrease the noise in the near future. Or you can ask for a room not towards the tracks. Although the trains were loud, I would definitely choose this property in the future and simply ask for a front facing room.
great place to stay. small pool, but this is Seattle, so who needs a pool? so the survey says I've got to add more characters to my review, so here they are: 1234567890abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz1234567890
Our stay was very enjoyable, from the minute we walked through the doors. The people at the front desk were very pleasant. We had arrived about 4 hours before check-in time. They told us that they could have our room available in one hour. The Inn is very clean, room was large with a queen bed, two easy chairs; one with an ottoman. The room had wifi, mini frig. Coffee, hot chocolate and tea were available in the lobby in the evening along with cookies. Breakfast was available from 6:30 - 10:00 and was amazing. Several kinds of cold cereal, oatmeal, yogurt with assorted toppings, waffles, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, omelettes, sweet rolls, toast, bagels, muffins, fresh cut pineapple, apples, bananas, oranges, assorted juices, etc. There wasn't a microwave in our room so I popped popcorn in the lobby near the coffee bar. The hotel is located a block from the Kingston ferry. We couldn't hear the train; our room (110) was on the front side of the hotel near the front door . Other family members stayed on the back side and could hear the train in the night.
Everything was A+. Truly A+++ A huge surprise in this era of anticipating everything corporations do is going to be less than we hope for - this hotel exceed expectations in an honest to god surprising way!! Comfy, very well appointed, super clean room, the friendliest, most helpful staff I've ever dealt with, huge breakfast selection...TRY IT - YOU'LL LOVE IT!
This hotel has a great location in Edmonds, with park, beach and restaurants all in walking distance. The rooms at this hotel were clean and updated. The family friendly outdoor pool was clean, inviting and the kids were given some pool noodles to enjoy their swim. The staff were friendly and professional while the food at the breakfast buffet was tasty.
Excellent choice when staying in the area north of Seattle. Close to the water front park and in town shops and restaurants. Can walk to the ferry terminal. Short walk to the commuter rail to Seattle and only $ 4.00 each way. Better than driving and finding a parking place if heading to Seattle to explore. Well lit and plenty of parking. Breakfast had plenty of good choices. Coffee and cookie in the lobby. What more could you want. Train whistle a little loud but only lasts for a short bit while train is passing town.
In our experience, Best Western is always a second choice. The quality tends to be spotty at best. The level of care by staff and the condition of the properties can run the gamut from nasty to OK. However, this IS NOT the case with the Edmonds, WA. BW. Our situation required a couple of weeks stay and the folks there could not have been more accommodating. From Front desk to food service to the maids, everyone seemed invested in our care. This is really uncommon even in higher end properties. A real sense of ownership by the entire staff. BW corporate should use this place as an example to other "owner operators."
Two negatives this stay-Room on back side close by RR tracks with passing trains/whistles throughout night-sleeping difficult, so will request room on front where we have been before-no RR noise noticed; will request King bed with comfortable reading chair-this time had 2 Queen beds, one desk chair and one straight back, no arms chair for reading/TV-not comfortable.
My elderly mother and I enjoyed our recent stay at Harbor View Inn in Edmonds. Convenient for all our friends and relatives nearby. The breakfast was great! The staff was friendly, the lobby attractive. The room was fine for handicapped accessible. Convenient parking nearby.
Although the location was difficult to find (do NOT get in the line for the Ferry!) and finding the entrance/lobby was not easy, the rest was very pleasant, particularly traveling alone. (It didn't look so on the website, don't judge by the photos!) I found this to be a great location with access to a number of good eating places close by and very close/easy access for walking along the bay. It was quiet and comfortable and the front desk lady was very friendly and helpful.
Charming and reasonably priced, this place gets high marks. Located walking distance from the beach, ferry and downtown Edmonds it was great accomodation for our bereavement stay in the Seattle area. The staff, especially Darlene, were amazing at their hospitality. A full breakfast was provided and appreciated. Early morning and sunset walks on the beach only a block from the Inn. The location is great positioning to explore the city or the penninsula. Wonderful value for this area.
The service was excellent and really enjoyed the doggy bag/treats & toy however, sleeping was tough. Not only does the air conditioner not stay on, front desk said it's a energy saver, the bed was very firm and I couldn't get the curtains to shut entirely so there was a light shining through the window all night. Bedding was nice just not bed and no fresh air!
Stayed here a number of times. Always clean, quiet, comfortable. Great staff, full breakfast, internet service, pool and Jacuzzi. Visiting relative nearby and several families stayed at the motel. All completely satisfied.
First time visit to Edmonds, WA, and did not know the area very well. based on the location and near by activities and sightseeing, we decided to book Best western plus. and we are very happy with the hotel location, value and the amenities. I will definetly recomand this hote;
Wonderful location near the Edmonds ferry. The staff here is always friendly and helpful no matter what time of night I roll in. The breakfast buffet is welcoming in the morning with a good variety and choices. I would recommend this hotel and I look forward to my next stay.
We had a wonderful stay. Hotel is located within walking distance of downtown Edmonds which has great restaurants and shops. We ate at Clarrie's and El Puerto, I highly recommend both. The Hotel itself served a great hot breakfast and had competitive rates. The only downside was the clerk that operated the desk during the evening. He needs some training on phone call management.
This is the nicest Best Western we have stayed in. The room was very nice, the breakfast was delicious, and the location was wonderful. A short walk to the shore front where there are wonderful restaurants and beautiful views. We were not bothered by the train noise. The staff were fantastic and very friendly. We hope we have the opportunity to stay here again.
This is a well maintained cozy hotel close to everything in edmonds. it is also easy to get to the freeways and go to seattle. it is not far. the hotel is quiet. the lobby has a cozy lodge feel to it.
First time here in Seattle and mine and my partners anniversary. I requested Roses and Champagne and it was delivered Saturday. We stayed 5 nights. From the moment we arrived to leaving(5/24/16)staff and hotel was amazing. Our room was above the front desk and noise was good. Couldn't really here anything. The room was amazing. Warm and cozy felt like a suite. Loved the jetted tub except one jet didn't work. Thank you to a Wonderful friendly staff and outstanding housekeeping ladies. Very vibrant and sweet. Appreciate everything everyone did to make this stay memorable????
I was very satisfied with my stay. Hotel location was good and the room was comfortable. The breakfast that came with the price was very good with waffles, eggs, sausage or bacon in addition to the cereal, bagels, yogurt, etc. The staff was friendly and courteous. It was a pleasant experience.
Great location close to shopping but in laid back location of Edmonds A short walk along the Edmonds Marsh takes you to the Edmonds fishing pier. There is a nice sandy beach and you can watch the Ferry come and go. Great service and great location.
This hotel is set in a business park about 4 blocks from the beach and about 6 blocks from the Edmonds ferry terminal. It has a beautiful two-story lobby, but its rooms are the type you'd see 20 years ago. There is no sign of modernization except the flat-screen TVs. All the rest--room color and furnishings, bathroom fixtures, linens and towels--are old style. The rooms are plenty large. The hotel has 3 stories and what appears to be a large number of rooms in its various wings. Train tracks are about 3 blocks away. Unfortunately, trains blow their horns when passing this location, including late at night.
The desk staff was very courteous and helpful, but considering the price this is not a great hotel at all. The rooms were clean but dated, the AC unit loud, but the worst feature is the train which runs multiple times every night one block from the hotel. Its horn woke me at least three times, probably four, at night followed by the wall mounted AC unit kicking in loudly. I travel all around the world on a weekly basis, stay an average of two nights a week in a hotel and quite frankly this was the most troublesome sleep I've had for the most money in a long while. I would stay here again if it weren't for the train noise and AC unit, both need to be quieted down substantially. If you want an ok waterfront location, a great small town and don't mind not sleeping this hotel is the one for you. But if rest is a necessity book a hotel further away.
It isn't easy to find the Best Western Harbor Inn in Edmonds. It is hidden in a little business plaza with restaurant, health club and assorted businesses. There is a small sign where you need to turn, but you don't see it from the road and it is easy not to know it is there. Find it! It is the most convenient hotel to Edmonds, and as other reviewers have stated, close to AmTrak, the ferry, and best of all close to the waterfront and all the restaurants, walking and activities that make this small town so attractive. The hotel is clean, well run and well maintained. The staff knock themselves out to take care of their guests. We found it to be very quiet; there were maybe one or two trains and they were not that loud. We visit Edmonds often and are happy to have found this hidden gem.
I stay at the Best Western Plus Edmonds Harbor Inn at least twice a year. I chose it originally for its convenient location directly across the street from the ferry station. I have continued to stay here because I always have a pleasant experience. The staff are helpful and friendly and the accommodations are clean, attractive and comfortable. It is an excellent value and I highly recommend it.
Staff thanked me for my business and honored all my requests on my reservation. Room was very clean and large. Had to leave very early in the morning before the breakfast and they provided me with a "Grab and Go Bag" so I didn't starve...LOL Would stay her again!
Wonderful hotel. Staff was so kind and helpful. Great continental breakfast. Easy to get from hotel to harbor and town. Walkable for sure. Lobby was so pleasant. Felt like a living room and had nice spots to sit and chat and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea.
We drove to Seattle for a memorial service of a relative. We were exhausted when we arrived. We were greeted by a very friendly, kind and caring front desk. Additionally, I had a service dog and and a pet in tow. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a small bag which contained items for them. Every single front desk employee was genuinely pleasant. I was very impressed by the level of professionalism and care. And the bed was very comfortable, I haven't slept that well in a long time.
I have stayed in Best Westerns over the years. Frankly, I have always avoided them if possible as they have tended to be mediocre. This time the hotel was chosen for me. It was a delightful experience. The hotel was bright, tasteful, excellent service, great location in a beautiful city near Puget Sound. I highly recommend it.
Perfect location for walking to great waterfront restaurants, pubs, beach, and ferry, Hot breakfast was outstanding with choices, variety, time and lovely breakfast room overlooking the pool. Staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The hotel grounds and interior were beautifully decorated and maintained.
I have stayed her several times during the last year and it's just very comfortable, quiet and still has the extras. Tried to stay in February but apparently someone else books the entire hotel during the weekend I needed. And with good reason. It's very close to the waterfront, business, a variety of places to eat, get coffee, shop. I'm hoping to make another excursion or two just to have a little vacation.
Easy access to downtown and beaches. Very comfortable beds, great amenities and excellent breakfast. Staff is very accommodating and went out of their way to satisfy us. We could hear the distant sound of ferry horns, the Amtrak station with service to Vancouver, Canada is within walking distance.
This property is a great place to stay when visiting Edmonds. It is right by the ferry terminal and also close to downtown. The only issue is that it is close to the railroad tracks so there are frequent train horns sounding.
We arrived in Edmonds early in the afternoon and happened to see this hotel, so pulled in. What luck! The staff was excellent, and allowed us to check in early. Everything about this property is head and shoulders above expectations! We have family in the area and this hotel will be our first choice every time we're in town!
We stayed here after a local area pub crawl. The first positive was that we were able to check in before the event began at noon. We stayed here years ago, before it became a BW Plus & immediately noticed the upgrades. Beds were comfortable, room was quiet & breakfast was good, although the eggs & bacon should have been refilled long before they were. Just the dregs left when we got there. It was refilled later, but too late for us. With we had stayed longer, as the pool looked interesting with the side water spouts.
This hotel is in a great location and it is easy to walk to restaurants and shops. The staff was caring, friendly, and service oriented. The facilities are well maintained and the bed was comfortable. Overall a very satisfying experience.
The overall presentation, comfort and service at this hotel was wonderful. The only issue I had was due to the hotels close proximity to the train, the frequency of the horn sounding did compromise a good night's sleep
Only thing wrong was that the one burner on stovetop not working .The room was huge, and I liked the way you can put suitcases by closet for easy hanging of clothes Everything else was very nice and will be coming back soon. Train noise but in back ground.
First Class experience. Variety of included hot and cold breakfast buffet options was exceptional. Staff were very personable and helpful with restaurant and travel recommendations. Conveniently located for bus, ferry, and train connections within walking distance, including waterfront. If you prefer a very firm mattress, be sure to enquire up front. Will definitely return in the future!
The bed was super comfy and the bathroom was very nice and clean. The soap/shampoo/conditioner dispensers were great. Great location, walk to everything you need...beach, restaurants, bars, bakery, the ferry, etc... All around great place to stay!
This hotel is everything that someone who is travelling would want in a hotel. The staff is great. The rooms/beds/restaurant were fantastic. Service excellent. The pool and (although I did not use it) work out room were available and great. The cost was good, but could be a little less. :O) If my original plan had held, I would have used these facilities. (It was very time consuming to drive into Seattle).
This is a great hotel to stay in when your day is busy with business in Seattle or the Seattle area. The business office is very useful when traveling and there are so many great restaurants in Edmonds. This is a pocket of quiet and peace in a busy work week. There is a pool and hot tub for relaxing after a busy day! Everyone here in the hotel makes it their job for your stay to be pleasant, easy and relaxing. There is a beach a 6 minute walk away with Harbor seals and a marina, kite surfers when the wind is right and the ferry to Kingston. There are several restaurants within walking distance and the Sounder train station is a 5 minute walk away taking you into downtown Seattle. For that weekend getaway, there is the Amtrak train to Bellingham, WA or Vancouver, B.C., again the train is a 5 minute walk away ! Too much to see and do, need to keep extending my stay !
We always try to stay at this hotel because it is comfortable and the service is good. It is near our family, so we stay on holidays. We enjoy the breakfast they serve, too. A nice spot to sightsee the area from, too.
stayed 2 nights at start of a vacation, and liked both the hotel and the area. We liked it well enough that we scheduled an additional night towards the end of our stay in the Seattle area. There is nothing that bothered us, and lots that we liked. We may well stay here again on our next visit even though it is an hour or so away from most of our family/friends in the area.
The room and location were nice but the real hit was the friendly and helpful staff. At the front desk Jenelle helped us many times, with a great smile and useful suggestions. In addition, the breakfast and cookies were excellent.
Good hotel to stay at with a great location. Close to Seattle, Everett area and north to Skagit Valley, ferry to Olympic peninsula. Very pleasant accommodations. Nice breakfast room with good food, and breakfast is served a little later than most Best Westerns.
Clean rooms, great service. Breakfast could use some upgrades, all bread was hard as rock, fruit was unripe, eggs are powder. Would like to have seen soy milk or margarin for the waffles and not real butter. I do know for next time to bring my own. Will stay there again.
. . . and this was a great place to be on a dark and stormy night. Excellent room, friendly staff, best complimentary breakfast ever, easy walk into town and to the shore. Train and ferry horns audible but not a big deal. Only wish they had their own restaurant and/or bar.
The Best Western in Edmonds is a very nice, clean and comfortable hotel, with excellent service. We stay there whenever we visit Edmonds. The hotel is a short walk from the harbor and many great restaurants.
We stayed at the Best Western because of it close locale to the Edmonds Performing Arts Center. The place was very clean, the staff was wonderful and friendly, the rooms were a nice size. The bed, though, was awful. It felt like a hot dog wrapped in a bun. The bed needs to be replaced.
Very convenient location for us to take the ferry across to Kingston and the room was large and comfortable. Unfortunately a lot of noise from the visitors in the room above us spoiled what should have been a good nights sleep. A call to the front desk didn't help and we were pretty tired the next morning. Not entirely the hotels fault but some sound barrier between floors would help or maybe try requesting a room on the top floor. Hot breakfast was OK.
We discovered Edmonds a few years ago, but have never stayed here. This hotel was centrally located and a great price. They serve a full breakfast which overall was great. The scrambled eggs were horrible. The meat, pastry, etc were good. This hotel has cookies available during the day. They had coffee around the clock. The coffee area had flavored syrups you could add to your coffee for a treat. There was a good selection of teas too. The room, grounds, hallways, were all very clean and cared for. The bed was comfortable. It is easy to walk into town from this location. edmonds has some great restaurants and shopping.
This is a pet friendly hotel and great location in Edmonds. It is very close to the waterfront, about a block. Town in not far and can easily be walked to. We have stayed before and when visiting the Seattle area we chose to stay in Edmonds rather than in the city rat race. They have a nice selection of good restaurants and some very unique nice shops.
Loved staying in this pet friendly hotel. Good location for walking into town. Clean, well kept property. There are trains that go by during the night. I use earplugs when I travel so they did not bother me.
Nicely updated hotel. I had a small Suite and found the kitchen aspect to be odd. There was a bar sized sink with an awkward dish drainer in it and nothing to do the limited dishes with. There is not a stove but a very small microwave and fridge. But those worked fine for my needs. My bed could have been updated too-the mattress was on the end of its lifespan!!! But still sleep able. They have feather beds which is nice but the lack of firmness still shone through. The staff was responsive and building nice and clean. It seems its in an awkward area at first but there is a museum across the street and you can walk to the train, ferry and edmunds beach and town, which are all great.. The breakfast offered a lot of items but carb heavy. They did offer hot food but the quality was not great, but not awful. There are very good breakfast spots in edmunds that you should ask about. Edmonds is a great walking town with good restaurants and ferry access for a nice day trip. I highly recommend this spot and will be back.
I love the quaint town of Edmonds, if you want traffic, noise and lots of people go to Seattle. Our hotel was one block from the harbor. There are two restaurants right on the water front to choose from. Also a nice pier to walk out on and enjoy the view of ocean and ferries coming and going. You can easily walk 4 blocks or so into town and enjoy the quaint shops, coffee shops and small restaurants. People at the hotel were extra friendly and helpful.
We were in the Seattle area for two funerals; one on Friday, one on Saturday. The Best Western in Edmonds was really nice and the staff helpful. The room was nicely decorated, the bed was comfy. Didn't like the pillows but that was the only thing. Easy parking. Breakfast was nicely set-up and had the usual assortment of morning goodies. A cup of fresh pineapple was my favorite!! Would definitely stay again.
The Best Western in Edmonds, WA is located within one block of the train station, the waterfront, the Senior Center, a huge fitness center, several restaurants, and it is next door to the Compass Maritime School. The Inn has quiet, lovely rooms, - only one small drawback - you get a small fridge in all rooms, but only the junior suites also have a microwave. Doesn't matter much as the lobby always has a microwave/teas/coffee available. The free breakfast is much better than others with great selections. The staff are all courteous, thoughtful, and helpful. Even though we were on business, this hotel and the nice town of Edmonds made our trip into a vacation too.
We arrived early and were registered on arrival. Parking was assigned and the room was ready ahead of schedule. Staff helped us find our way around town and provided courteous help with maps and directions. The hotel was very busy with a local travel conference but service and breakfast was prompt and complete.
We were very satisfied with our stay in the Edmonds BW+ - check in was a breeze, the breakfast warm and tasty, and very clean premises. Front desk staff were very helpful with recommendations for dinner. Overall, a very good hotel for a reasonable price.
This is the most peaceful hotel I have ever stayed in, with the most considerate staff. The service is unequaled. The area is perfect for a stroll to the fishing pier and beach or a 10 minute walk to several great restaurants. The train station is only a 5 minute walk away and there is a gym next door.
Nice place in a quiet location near the ferry and within walking distance of the town. Very Pet Friendly and you can walk to a dog park. Close to shore where there is a beautiful walk along the sound. Bed was very comfortable. Cozy!
This Best Western is conveniently located, with easy on/off access to I-5. Rates were competitive, and beds were very comfortable. Being a pet-friendly hotel is a plus for we dog lovers! We especially appreciated having access to a buffet breakfast in the morning.
Very nice facility with near access to restaurants, the Edmonds-Kingston Ferry, rail and ground transportation. Extremely polite and friendly staff, immaculate rooms, very large selection of items in the continental breakfast lounge. Seattle quality at Midwest prices for the rooms. We'll be back!
This was a great place to say. The hotel is clean and up-to-date, and a four minute drive from downtown Edmonds. The room was clean and comfortable - no complaints there. The desk staff was terrific and helpful. We had to leave early, before the breakfast room opened, but they had "grab and go" bags waiting on the counter for us to take along. The only downside is that the hotel is located just a couple of blocks east of the railroad, and because we had a west-facing room, we did get our share of train horns. (Fortunately, my wife had earplugs, and I got used to nighttime train noise when I was in college, so no big deal for us.) If that is likely to be a problem for you, I'd recommend a room on the other side of the building. Nevertheless, I would definitely stay there again.
To change my opinion would require a hotel clerk that didn't act like I was trying to rip your company off (or get something for nothing). The room we stayed in was very nice and very clean. The heater for the room was the problem. When it worked, it made the room very stuffy or very hot and breezy, even after adjusting the thermostat. At approximately 3 am, the heater came on and made a very loud, clanging noise. We had to shut it off. There was no way to turn fan off and keep the heat going. Upon check out I reported the problem to the hotel clerk. Her first question was 'why didn't I report it in the night?' She said we could have changed rooms. If we were staying longer we would have changed rooms. We were leaving in the morning. It didn't seem feasible. We were already not sleeping very well. When we were checking out, we were very tired and just wanted to leave. At that time, the clerk gave me a look like I was up to something. She asked if I was a member. I said 'no'. I was not even sure what she was talking about. She then said, she could give a 10% discount. I would have been happy with an apology and paid full price. She made me feel like I was shady and trying to take advantage of the situation. Because of her, we will never go to that hotel again. Heaters can be repaired. EVERYBODY ELSE WAS VERY NICE! The check in clerk was very helpful and professional. She helped us find a restaurant for the evening. After driving a few hundred miles earlier, Arnie's (the restaurant) was a very enjoyable experience. I would thank her for recommending Arnie's if I ever talked to her again.
This hotel seems a touch above the other Best Westerns (and BW Plus hotels) that we stayed at on a long driving trip. The room was large and clean; well equipped with everything you might need; the staff were friendly and helpful, and the complimentary breakfast was better than the average. Although we were only there overnight, it is a hotel I would be happy to go back to and spend a few more days.
The check in clerk was wonderful, and the hotel was very nice! It was a great spot for a brief romantic getaway not far from where we needed to be. It allowed us a moment to breath during a very busy trip.
this hotel is always friendly, clean and accessible. I did not access the gym but my husband said the $5.00 fee was a great deal. The breakfast is always good; the staff always responsive and they dispense ear plugs if you can't sleep through the tooooot-tooooooot of the near by train. you can walk to the ferry and Edmonds shopping and dining, all of which are improved from my childhoold.
The hotel was clean and very nicely decorated for the Christmas Season. The staff was quite good and courteous and couldn't be helpful enough. I'll come back for more as I love the Edmonds area. The coffee was ready and hot.
Great way to wake up to a marine environment morning after a quiet nights sleep. Great breakfast and nice walk on the marina front trail. Edmonds has a quirky and quant atmosphere with a variety of restaurants well within walking distance. And those darn cookies!
A beautiful hotel: it has earned its 2 TripAdvisor certificates of excellence from 2013 & 2014 and its Hotels.com certificate from 2015. After staying here for years, I still can't find fault with it. Amazingly friendly staff, a well-kept up hotel, beautiful pool and hot tub, spacious rooms, and a great selection of foods (waffles, oatmeal, eggs, yogurt, fruit, juices, and more) for the complimentary breakfast. Great restaurants nearby (check out Epulo, Las Brisas, and Kebella's)! The beds are comfortable, and we all consistently sleep better here than most other hotels. It may not sound fancy based on the name, but it is! And not too expensive either. And I haven't even mentioned the free wifi....
This Best Western is a great place to stay in Edmonds, Washington. It is located near the towns quaint shopping district and close to the Puget Sound and beaches. The staff at the hotel are friendly and knowledgable. The breakfast is decent and there is plenty of it. We had some kind of loose gasket on the toilet that caused a shrill whistling whenever it was used; my husband figured it out and told the front desk in the morning. It was repaired when we returned home. There is a train nearby you can hear; but for some that just adds to the charm (I know, for some, it won't). We've stayed at this Best Western before and we will stay again.
We stayed in room 149 a suite. I explained to them that the bed was absolutely horrible. Then you can hear water running through the walls heavily so all night long the people above us for flushing toilets washing their hands and you can hear it. So I explain that to the front desk manager on checkout and he gives me some reward points for Best Western. I won't be staying at another Best Western after that experience.
Staff very friendly and professional. Atmosphere clean and well maintained. Complementary breakfast included usual type of selection and well stocked. Coffee and tea always available in lobby. Enjoyable stay at this location.
I had a recent mid week stay while visiting family and based on location, this was my best bet. Upon arrival a very nice portico kept me out of the rain and a very nicely Christmas themed entry caught my attention. Everything was very clean, tidy and very well appointed. The staff was more than helpful when I arrived and checked my bag early. My room on the 2nd floor was very clean, well furnished and had everything you could possibly need in a large square foot room. On my 1st night there, I was awoken by the front desk calling me to inform me the water was being turned off shortly to fix an emergency repair. I got up and showered immediately and had no issues. The repair apparently was taken care of as later that day I showered again with no problems. On checkout on my last day, I had a bit of breakfast. Certainly a step above others I have had in the past. Eggs, sausage, a bagel, cereal, apple juice and a decent cup of coffee and I was away in my Uber. This hotel is only 2 blocks from the ferry and about 10 places to eat or have a coffee (Waterfront Coffee) or cocktail (Dymetris) or lunch (Arnies).
This is a great place to come to and relax. I didn't realize how many places there were that you could walk to. Take the boat across to Kingston easy. The staff was wonderful, and I would recommend this place for your next visit, just don't eat the scrambled eggs for breakfast. Oh yeah, there are train noises, but it's really not that bad. It was the only place I felt like Christmas
Had to stay here for 5 days to take a nearby class. This hotel is the nicest Best Western I have stayed in. Two weeks before, I stayed in another BW in Edmonds that was typically average. The linens, the free breakfast, everything is a step above here, on a par with more expensive hotels in this area.
A good place to spend the night on the road. Very good restaurants in the area. Very close to the ferry terminal and the services of a small town. Excellent for business travelers and tourists. Staff are very friendly, flexible and helpful. A delight to to deal with after a hard trip through Seattle traffic to the south.
My husband and I stayed at this particular Best Western this past Saturday night. HIs Christmas Party was at the local golf course. This hotel was convenient. I paid in advance and saved 20% on the booking. When we got to the hotel to check in the man behind the counter was so welcoming. It made us feel like we were at a home away from home. They have a very nice 24 hour coffee bar, breakfast which was very good, our room was spacious, clean and had all the amenities. Very nice stay!
I travel to this area multiple times a year, and now that I have stayed here I will not stay anywhere else. Every single thing was wonderful. The staff seemed genuinely friendly and helpful every time, housekeeping had done a beautful job of decorating the lobby for the holidays, the entire hotel smelled clean, like soap. The room was immaculately clean and very nice, the beds heavenly, the heating/air conditioning system was whisper-quiet and everything worked properly. I was quite pleasantly surprised that there is a full breakfast with deliciously made eggs and meats and not just pastries. The money saved on a restaurant breakfast evened out the difference in price from the budget hotels nearby, and it was definitely worth it. I felt nurtured and cared for during my entire stay. I recently spent a business week in a $400+/night hotel, and I enjoyed my stay here at least as much.Outdoor pool looked nice even though it was closed, but you had to go through the looby to reach it, which is not my ideal set up. Not enough to make me stay away though.
This is our family's go-to hotel when we visit my Mom in North Seattle. The hotel offers incredible value for money – very affordable given the area. You can't beat the hotel's location. It's within easy walking distance of the Edmonds ferry, train station, and beach area. There are two great seafood restaurants along the waterfront. Walk up the hill to downtown Edmonds for even more great restaurants and shopping. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. The front lobby is warm and comfortable, with fresh chocolate chip cookies every afternoon. You can also arrange for a reasonably priced massage through the front desk. The standard rooms are clean, but small. A big plus is the small bar refrigerator. Larger rooms with kitchenettes are available, but book early. As mentioned, the hotel is close to the train station. If train horns bother you, come prepared with ear plugs.
We had a funeral to go to so looked for a place near the church. Saw this place online, great reviews, pics were good, so we booked online. Well, imagine our surprise when we checked in and found a old, rundown room; sure it had been remodeled (new paint, granite here and there; however, you know when you put makeup and new clothes on an old woman, she is still an old woman? (no insults intended, as I am a 68 year old!). No counter space in the very tiny bathroom; no "table" space to put things in the room. No chairs to sit in, except the desk chair and one straight chair. Both my husband and I have CPAP machines. The outlets were so old, the plugs just fell out. My husband is an electrician and he said they all needed to be replaced. Again, the "old woman" part. We had to run extension cords over and around just to find outlets that worked. The ambiance of it reminded me of a Super 8 we had to stay in a year ago!! But not with the price. Come to find out there is an old section and a new section, but they are not differentiated online, either in description or photos. Staff said one is standard, one deluxe. However, again, website does not say that. The staff said they didn't know what the website has, and I believe them. Some boss somewhere does the website; those folks just work there. The lobby and breakfast room are so very beautiful, really beautiful.....then the rooms!!!
I stayed here while we were getting work done on our house. Since I'm from the area I didn't do much around town besides take out and a nice walk down to the water front. I think this hotel is a great value for the location. I don't know if Edmonds is a real vacation destination but if you are going to stay there this would be a great place to stay. The location is fabulous, it does not have any views of the water since it sits a few blocks away from the waterfront but it take a min or two to walk to the water and several very nice resturants (fancy and casual) since the hotel sits away from the water you are able to save money. The hotel is older but the bed was very comfortable and it has some nice up grades (granet in the bathroom, flat screen tv, nice decor and bedding) the employees were very friendly and very accommodating with an early check in and adding another night last min. They have free breakfast (which was ok) and 24/7 free coffee, tea and fresh baked cookies which actually made me really excited!! The place was decorated for Christmas when I stayed and it was beyond beautiful and smelled amazing! It made me feel cozy and comfortable. I would definitely recommend stayin here if you are in town!
One thing that would make this property better would be pet friendliness. We had to leave our dog with relatives which was a little stressful for all involved. Property is clean with friendly staff and adequate breakfast.
The beds and pillows are heavenly. The lobby and public areas are always well maintained and attractive. You can walk to great restaurants or to downtown Edmonds, which is a charming town on the water. We stay here for 3 to 4 nights several times a year and really like staying here.
I have stayed at around 15 other hotels in the Seattle/Bellevue area and the Best Western in Edmonds is by far my favorite. It doesn't look amazing from the outside, but the experience on the inside more than makes up for any exterior appearance issues. The staff is extremely friendly/helpful, the rooms are clean and well decorated.
BW Harbor Inn is our go-to place whenever we visit family in the area. It's comfortable, clean, friendly, and conveniently located for us. One time we stayed at another place nearby because we had left it too late to get reservations here, and were sadly disappointed. We make sure to book early now.
Slept like a baby even with the trains at three am The staff was great and the breakfast good although lots of GMO food. Would stress that the beds were great and that makes the stay Best Value describes this hotel.
This property is located in a quiet part of Edmonds, very close to the water and the state ferry system. It also is close to town and the fun things offered there. The lobby is fairly spacious with the attached eating area overlooking the pool and hot tub.Being in Washington state these outside pool areas are only used in times of nice weather with CLEAN restrooms just inside the doors leading to the pool which is nice in that you do not have to return to your room.Fresh baked cookies every day is quite nice with a fairly large selection of coffee and tea drinks. They have easily accessed ice machines and vending machines-they in my opinion are too pricy ( sorry)$1.75 for a soda pop is really a rip off I feel. That truly is my only complaint as the rooms are nice and they have many different types of rooms and suites to select from.NICE SPOT truly wonderful front desk personel and maids you would hardly know they are there.Try it ,you'll LOVE it
We had to stay in a hotel in our home city because we lost power. The people at the desk were extremely helpful, and arranged for us to stay in a junior suite for a reasonable cost. The room was lovely, with free WiFi and a very nice breakfast. We would definitely recommend this hotel to others.
Older motel acquired by Best Western. Noisy with frequent noisy train traffic. Entrance a little difficult to maneuver. Check in clerk and most staff friendly. No micros in rooms. Breakfast staff not attentive to the area to provide clean tables. There are lots of motels in area to choose from, so would try something else next time.
This is my go-to place to stay when I'm in the Seattle area on business. Walking distance to the Kingston Ferry and the train, as well as numerous restaurants. The staff is very friendly and accommodating!
We stayed here while our hardwood floors were being done. They were wonderful from check in to check out. They were even ready to welcome our golden retriever, even though we ended up not taking her with us on this stay. There was a terrible wind storm in the state one of the days we stayed here and we never lost power. It was nice to have a warm, dry place to cozy up. And, although the hotel is older, everything was clean and in working order. I would stay here again and would recommend it.
Recently stayed here with several friends after a tour of the Everett Boeing plant. Good central location before we headed our separate ways in the morning. Walkable to the Amtrak station and the ferry to Kingston. Several good restaurants nearby as well. I have stayed here before and always find in immaculately clean, comfortable beds. Comfortable Reading Chairs with Good Lighting!!!!! Good breakfast included.
I stayed here before at the last possible minute and chose to stay here this time due to fabulous experience. Close to downtown, ferry dock and train station, gives it a European feel, no need for automobile.
I was so pleased with my stay at the Edmonds Best Western. The staff was so friendly and courteous. I was able to bring my dog with me thank to the pet friendly rooms and was given a care package upon arrival for my dog. How thoughtful. The stay was comfortable and quiet, the room was clean and very quiet. Thank you Best Western for a nice weekend.
The Best Western Harbor Inn in Edmonds, WA is reliable as a good place to stay just north of Seattle. It's comfortable, clean, well maintained and attractive, and reasonably priced. Staff are gracious and attentive. Hotel is located in the "Edmonds Bowl" near restaurants, shops, the Edmonds waterfront and ferries. Health club next door. Hot breakfast, pool, fitness center, therapeutic massage, meeting facilities available. This is my first choice of hotel in Edmonds.
Great and very friendly staff.Walking distance from many amenities. We walked right to the Ferry to Kingston and many restaurants. The rooms were very clean and so was the pool and hot tub. Would definately recommend to others.
The greatest people to greet you of any where we have stayed, very imformative about the local area. Great breakfast and good cookies and coffee. They all have a wonderful sence of humor. You cannot and will not be disappointed in your stay at The Best Western Inn in Edmonds.
After a week touring the peninsula, we needed a place to stay the night before driving to SeaTac. After disembarking the ferry, we took a chance & stopped at this hotel. We needed 2 rooms, which they happened to have available. The check in employee was fabulous, very helpful & informative. The lobby was large & inviting, the rooms very comfortable (including the bed) and clean. The breakfast a step above most hotel breakfasts. Every employee that we encountered were courteous & friendly. We would stay again. The only negative was that the vanity area was quite small, and did not fit a lot of our stuff.
I chose Best Western plus due to it's proximity to an event I was attending. I was quite surprised as to its cleanliness, the staff and a really tasty continental breakfast. I would recommend BWP to any one who is stopping over night to catch the ferry or to an event at the Arts Center. Great staff too!
We stayed here mid Oct. 2010 as we visited the Edmonds area. The hotel was a little hard to find in the beginning as it is part of a business complex but we found it:) The lobby was well maintained and staff was friendly. The room we got was efficient but a bit dated. The location was wonderful, walking distance to downtown Edmonds and the Puget sound. many places to eat were around. we will go back if in area again.
We will definitely stay at this hotel again. It was clean, quiet and within walking distance to everything in downtown Edmonds. The staff was all very courteous and the breakfast was outstanding. The price was very affordable and we especially enjoyed the big screen televisions.
Very comfortable bed! Excellent customer service! You won't be disappointed! The breakfast was excellent with a variety of choices. Staff even remembered my name from check in! Cordial, efficient, and great value.
If you're planning to visit the Seattle area, I recommend this hotel--it's convenient to downtown, but out where it's more quiet. There are trains that go thru there, but we are used to that so it didn't bother us at all. The room was very clean, the beds were comfortable and it was convenient having shampoo, conditioner & body wash dispensers in the shower. We enjoyed the complimentary hot chocolate & chocolate chip cookies that were always available in the lobby. We will definitely stay there when we come back again.
Excellent location, quality of facilities, value and experience with all facets of the hotel physically and the staff. Some reviewers have negative comments about train noises at night, not a problem for this relatively light sleeper. Would highly recommend.
Clothes hangers that couldn't be removed made hanging clothes very awkward. Impossible for a dress or pullover. TV picture quality dark, fuzzy, squished. Awful. Bedding too short for the King bed. Staff nice and helpful.
We were moving to Seattle and in the process of looking for an apartment. We had stayed in a few other hotels in the area but found that they were all lacking in the basics: cleanliness, all had odors and smells, dirty carpets etc. Or did not accept dogs. We found Edmonds Harbor Inn in Edmonds WA! The rooms are very clean and smell fresh (we stayed in 3), which the hotel cleans everyday, even during our stay (wonderful cleaning crew). The beds are comfortable and the pillows always smell fresh (in some of the other hotels they do not). The front desk was always helpful with recommendations for restaurants, local attractions and our search for an apartment (and giving treats to our dog). The breakfast is delicious. Edmonds itself is a wonderful town with a ferry to the Olympic Peninsula, tons of great restaurants, book stores, gift shops and a movie theater. Highly recommend the Hotel and the town!!!
This is a good quality hotel with free parking and breakfast. The hotel is in Edmonds which is a nice destination in itself but it also provides public transport for Seattle. The rooms are up to Best Western Plus normal good standard. we visited at a busy time and the breakfast room was really too small and crowded for the number of guests. the breakfast staff tried their best but struggled to clear tables and keep all the breakfast items topped up. However they coped with the problems with good grace. We would have stayed here longer but the hotel was full on other nights so sadly had to move on.
We have stayed here many times. This is a convenient location, clean and safe. They provide a hot breakfast, very good with coffee available all the time. The rooms are tastefully decorated as is the front entrance. There is a train near by but we seem to be used to it! Edmonds is a cute little city with shops and restaurants near by.
The Best Western Harbor Inn is a very nice hotel, minutes from both downtown and the water. I plan to stay here whenever we're in Edmonds. Professional, helpful staff, a great breakfast, continue flow of coffee and great, chocolate chip cookies in the evening.
Our second stay at this property, and I can find nothing to complain about except the trains, but they are not going away anytime soon...you do get used to them! The hotel is very nice, very clean, and has large well appointed rooms. Loved the cookies and coffee in the lobby. Breakfast was above average and was kept very well stocked by a very busy young lady. Staff were enthusiastic and. Rey helpful. Very nice stay!
Walking distance from the ferry made it very convenient to stay at Edmonds Harbor Inn. We spent a day visiting friends in Kingston. The Hotel was easy to find and had convenient access to freeways to visit any location in the Seattle area we wanted during our 3 night stay. Very friendly and helpful staff.
We stayed here 2 nights, reception lady was friendly and helpful. plenty of coffee and cookies in reception to eat. Rooms big and clean. Air condition worked well, as it was hot. We would stay here again, handy to eating places too
