The breakfast was nice, the room was clean, and the elderly woman who worked the breakfast was VERY nice and helpful. The young woman who serviced the room was also VERY nice and helpful. However, the man who worked the front desk early in the morning was rude, insulting, and disgusting. Didn't look up from his cell phone when people were in line at the front desk to ask questions. Couldn't understand anything he said. Horrible, horrible service that damaged an otherwise nice stay.
Friendly staff, great breakfast. Everything was great. I would recommend the Best Western to anyone.
Staff on evening shift was extremely rude, lectured me because I asked for additional wash cloths after having only one in the room.
The room we had was dirty. The sheets on the bed were dirty, there was a towel left on top of shower curtain, smelled like smoke. Extremely disappointed. There was water on bottom of refrigerator. The water in bathroom sink would not go down and the seat had stains all over it . This was a terrible experience .
Brought our small dog with us. Floors were filthy. Wanted to move us to another room but those floors were just as bad. Finally the manager mopped the floors himself and it was better but we would still wear our shoes in the room. You would think with pets allowed the floors would be the main concentration of cleaning...the rest of the room was clean and we had no problems.
We have been regular guests of this hotel for the past several years, staying sometimes 2 or 3 times a year as we have family in the area. Since Covid, it has continued to go down. The breakfast is inedible. We have 2 pets and the pet fee has always been $25 per night. This time they charged over $27 and when I questioned it, they stated the city was now requiring taxes. No problem. I get the receipt and it's got the amount pending twice. I questioned that. They said only one would post. I took them at their word. Checked the credit card and it was posted twice, the last post was posted an hour after we left the premises. This is not the first time I've had problems with them. Once I had a free room and they tried to charge for that anyway. I went round and round with them before that was taken off. I have filed a dispute with my credit card company and we will not be staying there again. We don't leave the room a mess, I straighten up before we leave and I usually leave a good tip. I'm done and I highly suggest you all pay attention to your credit cards if you stay here.
Asked for extra pillows was told that I needed to go to Dollar General and buy them myself. Did not have towels or washcloths in room. Had to ask for them was told housekeeping was closed at 3 p.m. Was finally brought a few towels after 7 pm. Had to leave hotel at 3 am misquitoes were biting som bad in the room.
Rooms are nice and clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. Was awakened one night around midnight by the on duty staff member saying there was a noise complaint. Again, I was sleeping. Not a courtesy call and it after midnight which would have been preferable.
I have stayed at this hotel several times. It's not a 5-star by any means but it is a very nice place to stay. Staff is courteous, rooms are clean, noise stays at a minimum and surprisingly, the breakfast is pretty good. The parking gets a little tight because so many people travel to that area to fish and the boats sometimes make things difficult to maneuver but it's manageable. For the fishermen, they have many outside hookups to charge your boat battery and ample spaces for boats. Bottom line, it's just a nice little, no frills, place to stay.
Location is central. Easy to reach surrounding things you wish to do. It is pet friendly with plenty of walking space for them. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The management is very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is included although we don't do breakfast.
I enjoyed my stay. I always stay at Best Western. The rooms are clean and the staff is great. Breakfast is just what you would need to start the day. I will definitely stay with this Best Western again.
The location was really nice. Employee was very friendly and courteous and very helpful. Me and my families enjoyed the stay. Nice hot breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable bed. I will definitely coming back at this location again.
It was great stay. Employees were very helpful and polite. The room was clean and comfortable bed. Hot shower and hot breakfast. It was perfect as I did expected. I will be definitely coming back. Thank you for everything.
Do not miss this place when in Dayton. Everything was very nice. Breakfast was a nice surprise. Fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt, meat, gravy and biscuits. The beds were very comfortable. Had everything I need.
Have stayed here multiple times, last time in 2012 and then Again this weekend. Clean! That's #1! Comfortable beds, nice floors, a/c that worked. Parking is right outside door which we appreciate. Quiet. Coffee early in the morning. All clerks were super nice and helpful. Housekeeping was super nice when I asked for a few extra things. I hope it stays this great as we plan to visit family more often and will always return to this hotel.
Nice staff, good breakfast. Good location in a nice historical town. Warning some restaurants not open mondays. Close if you want o do some water activities. Towns people very friendly. We would stay here again if in the area.
Pet Friendly, non-smoking & smoking rooms but not separated from each other. The parking spots are small, but trailer parking available on the ends and access road. Great indoor pool, with decent laundry area & ice machine with a vending machine. I stayed nine nights this time for work. Had wood/tile floors in my room which was a plus but needed to be cleaned better.
This is our go to location for visits to family! We enjoy this Best Western location, staff is helpful with all our questions from places to visit and food recommendations. Centrally located and again the manager is great.
$156 for one Friday night was about $50 too high. There was a lot going on in town this weekend college graduation and a fishing tournament, but this place was likely built in the 1970s or early 1980s.
By far not to the usual Best Western standards I am used to. Overall very worn and dated. Floors were sticky and dirty. Jacuzzi was broken so ended up paying extra for something that didn't work. Would not recommend at all.
The room was dirty, and there were roaches everywhere. I mean everywhere. Crawling up the walls. On the vanity. On the desk. On the floor. On the bed. Threw my travel bag away and dumped my clothes in the first washer I could find. I will never stay here again.
We were put in a room between 2 rooms that housed smokers. They smoked outside but their smoke stunk up our room. Both rooms also had dogs that would bark during the night & wake us up. Then we could hear the lady yell at them to shut up.
We love staying here. Easily accessible to everywhere we go, Soddy Daisy, Chattanooga, Dunlap. Friendly staff and clean and comfortable. Does not have hot breakfast, at least not in the past 2 years. Pet friendly.
The owners operate the property it seems. They do a great job and everytime we have stayed they have always made sure we are happy. It's a older property but they are constantly improving it. It's our only choice even though there are many new properties when we stay in the area
This is where we stay when we go to the area. It is less than 30 minutes from our friend's home and close to everything we do in the area. It is pet friendly and always clean and comfortable. They are back to serving breakfast but is only cereals, muffins, fruit, etc. There is a Huddle House and Waffle House close by though.
Great place to get away at a moment's notice just to relax. Plenty of food options nearby. Great pool if your into swimming and it's very quite. The air conditioning works great. The breakfast is better than the other hotels in the area.
Love the area, employees were very helpful. The rooms were clean and fully stocked. The bed was very comfortable. Shower pressure was great. Breakfast was just the thing to start the day. Will stay again when in the area.
The room was clean and the staff was friendly. Just be careful if you have a full size (crew cab with 6'+ bed) pickup. The travel lanes in the parking lot are really narrow and the parking spaces are at a steep angle in front of the rooms. It's doable but be careful!
Observably understaffed right now. Local riff raff occurring in the parking lot, and marijuana-smoking outside. The receptionist was responsible for too much, therefore not much was done on request. Room keys were demagnetized 3 times, and magnetized doors being propped open. Did not feel incredibly safe during my stay with wife and two young children. Pool was nice, AC was cold, but we'll be staying somewhere else when we come back to visit family again unless there are enough staff to run this hotel properly.
I enjoyed the convenience and the staff. It was hard to get past the dirty and worn carpet. Otherwise the bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Replace the carpet, remove the cigarette smell, and clean the upholstery. That would make all the difference in the world!
It has been years since I've stayed in a BW since I am very loyal to Hilton brands, but they had nothing in Dayton. The staff and management were very friendly, the room was up to date and very clean, the bagged breakfast was great and I was offered a variety. The bed was very comfortable and the location is quiet. I was very impressed at how fast my receipt was emailed to me (way quicker than Hilton brands). I highly recommend!!!!!
Mr.Patel was wonderful, kind & has such a beautiful soul! Thats what keeps people coming back! It's in the perfect place with the detention Center across the street so we didn't have to worry about our boat getting messed with! We will be back soon!
First of all, The Dayton Best Western had the most comfortable bed(s) out of any other hotel or marina I've stayed at in my life time. Normally at other places you would sink to the middle or feel the springs in your back, these beds didn't. Second, it is within a mile of great restaurants, general stores, gas stations and 5 minutes from the Dayton Marina and Grill. Third, The Best Western had parking spots where you could keep your boat hooked up to your vehicle and had charging stations for your boat without having 100 feet of extension cord strung all over the hotel. I believe it would help if they did take pictures of boats hooked up it would attract more fishermen. Last, the police station is across the street.
I just wanted to rest on my days off and that's triple what I received. The breakfast area was always stocked and kept clean. The staff is there for you no matter what the situation. I would recommend best Western
My experience here was awesome. The staff was very friendly. Especially the housekeeper. She could have used more help. The beds were nice and firm, and the the tubs were nuce and deep. Just right for a nice soaking bath. I love it so much that I hated to go home. And the rates were just right. And very comparable to the other the local hotels.
This is our go to hotel when visiting friends in the area. It provides easy access to Soddy Daisy, Hixson, Dunlap and Chattanooga. It is clean, staff is friendly and it is pet friendly with plenty of grassy area to walk your pet. Breakfast is normally included except for now with the plandemic.
Awesome stay comfortable and nice clean rooms travis at the front desk was awesome very informative and found wat best suited me i highly recommend this hotel it has great prices. N very nice. Travis is really really good at his job fixed me n my brother rite up
My life has been very stressful lately, so I came here to just get away, be alone, and relax for a couple of nights. It was just what I needed. Everything was clean, staff was very friendly, and that jacuzzi was AMAZING! My only small issue was the stopper for the jacuzzi tub wouldn't come out easily, so I had to pry it out with a pocket knife every time I drained it, but that didn't really bother me... Thank you Best Western for giving this weary woman some MUCH needed rest.
FIRST of all I would like to say the husband and wife team I believe running this BW was very polite and helpful:) When we arrived and was assigned our room, it was not what we asked for:( They corrected it, yet, the second room was not cleaned from the last quest. They quickly assigned us our now third room. When we finally settled into our now third room, it looked and came off clean:) We stayed two days and thought overall the bed was comfortable:) We had plenty of hot shower water which is always nice and with good water pressure:) There is a railroad track close to the hotel and we heard the whistle blow a few times before bed and at least once during the night:( On our second night we learned the walls are thin because WE could hear the man next door snore all night longggggggggg! The train was one thing, this guy took this visit to a whole different level:( MY thinking would be since the hotel had few guests, don't room them next to each other if your hotel has thin walls. THEN while watching TV, we moved the chair closer. THAT'S when we discovered a dead roach in the corner behind the chair and a cigarette and other trash under it.........ALL leads to a lack of detail:( We stayed in a room in the back of the hotel, the security door will not latch IF you don't pull it closed. It was open every time we left or came back to the hotel:( There is a much lesser hotel right next door within 100 yards. I would go so far as to say sketchy, that doesn't help one feel good about ones security. NOT to mention the city jail/prison across the street. Also, there was people in a large area behind the hotel working on cars, it's an empty lot:( I could go on, yet, there were simply to many red flags to visit again:( As a Platinum BW customer, we left disappointed:(
Stayed at Dayton Best Western for a 2 day fishing tournament. Love ghey have boaters in mind. Area to park with access to electric to keep boat batteries charged and ready. Best place to stay and just a mile away from Dayton Boat Dock and Grill.
We were visiting friends and chose this hotel because pet friendly options were not many. Not only is it pet friendly, it is convenient to everything. It's clean and even had a pretty zinnia flower garden at the back of the property that I enjoyed while walking the dog. We would definitely stay here again.
This location is awesome! Quiet! Easy Parking! Laundry facilities! Indoor pool! I'm coming back when I'm in town it was just a great stay with no conflicts. Microwave and Frig in the room. I only had 1 real complaint but it's something I find in most hotels so not worth fretting over. It's worth your money to stay here. I travel a lot so I see a lot of hotels...good and bad.... Bring the family for a quiet stay!!
Customer Satisfaction at it's Best. At the end of the Hotel use to be a Restaurant, they need to bring something back to this Hotel that will attract customers. Indoor Heated pool was drained and not advised of the situation. Was looking forward to lounging
I always go for visit my family and this hotel always make me feels like my second home. Definitely recommend for all travelers. It's clean inside and outside and very fantastic service. And best is they have indoor pool.
This hotel was a good location for our weekend trip. The breakfast buffet included enough items to have something for vegetarians, and the coffee was hot enough, and fresh. When we returned from our outing on the second day, we were disappointed to find that our room had not been serviced. It was late enough that we were tired and didn't try to schedule housekeeping. No comment from desk staff the next morning on what might have happened. We would consider trying this hotel again if we need to stay in the area, but would inquire ahead as to whether the rooms would be serviced, and when. We did find it odd that our report was not acknowledged and there was not even an apology.
The rooms are all upgraded. Terrific breakfast..clean, comfortable and will be staying again. Recommend this to anyone staying in the Dayton or surrounding areas.. A little pricey for the holidays, but so are all hotel chains...We didn't use the pool, but looked and the area was clean and warm.
This is a home away from home. The staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The room spotless and well maintain.when I in Dayton this my choice because the management at hotel cares. Coffee maker,rerigerator,wifi- all you needed was available would definitely return.
I stayed here over the weekend to visit family. Staff was very caring and rooms looks modern.Breakfast was plenty enough to start my day. it looks safe around the hotel. I will be staying here in the future soon.
We recently visited fall creek falls upon search this is the hotel near our location 27 mi away but no option we stayed this hotel. We have king suite nice newly renovated room, clean with sleeper sofa. Staff is exceptional.
The only thing needed in all their rooms is an updated shower head that doesn't spray water everywhere. They've remodeled but failed to replace any of the shower heads. We've been coming to this hotel for 4 years and have stated in many different rooms. The shower heads are soa the same in each and need replacing.
Front desk manager needs people skills , rude and arguemenative. Messed up long term reservation made months in advance no apology . Room needs updating , small bathroom, door wouldn't even close. Price of long term stay changed when arrived , again no apology . Hotel way overpriced for area , parking lot too small have to worry about getting around without car being damaged. Will never be seen there again. Oh yes noisy by train tracks , everyday train toots there horn .
We stayed at this location during our return trip from spring break. Off the beatin path and away from the interstate. We were hoping for a nice quiet relaxing evening with a jacuzzi tub to wipe away the miles. The room smelled of cigarette smoke, the jacuzzi tub was not properly cleaned, and the floor appeared as if it hadn't been vacuumed. No other rooms available in the area so we were stuck!
We were in Dayton for a pow wow and Best Western Dayton was the chosen host hotel. Great decision on the pow wow staff's choice! I really do not understand the bad reviews. All staff we encountered were friendly and helpful but we must give special KUDOS to one in particular. We arrived Friday night to be greeted by Emily at the front desk. She is an absolute gem!!!!! She is professional and extremely outgoing, friendly, personable and helpful. It is very evident she enjoys what she does! She obviously knows the area well and when we asked for recommendations for places to eat she was spot on each time we took her advice! Emily definitely went out of her way to make our stay more enjoyable! One of the other vendors asked her the first night if this particular Best Western had 24/7 coffee and she told him no but that could be changed. So she kept the coffee going every night for as long as someone wanted to drink it when we returned from the pow wow! Our King Accessible room was very nice. We absolutely loved the walk in shower with all the handicap bars and a seat! Bed and pillows were great. Room was well decorated. Breakfast was very good with both hot and cold items. Hot items included scrambled eggs, sausage patties on the weekend, bacon on Monday, gravy & biscuits and a waffle maker. This is a great motel and we would not hesitate to stay here again!
I brought my sister to Dayton for a procedure at the beautiful hospital in Dayton. We loved this motel and had a delightful experience staying here. The room is very nice nd clean. The beds are Sooooo comfortable. Staff is helpful and pleasant. Swimming was fun..
The outside on first look is fine, on closer inspection this a converted store of some lind. the windows are painted over then the wall put up behind them.I had what they called a newly renovated room thought it was an odd size it worked well suited for 2 with 2 TVs and a pullout sleeper. All normails for the BW brand Shower was nice had a least one grab bar. The bed to me was hard, but a king with all it's pillows. The Breakfast was a good try, but a bit lacking in variety, really kind of understanding as this place is off the beaten path.. I won't go back there are options nearby. There is not an elevator in this two story hotel.
Horrible hotel. Third one went to ended up traveling back to Cleveland. Vimal who is the manager or owner was rude to me and my wife. I asked to talk to owner and he said he was in Canada. Lobby and parking lot needed cleaned up. Very unprofessional staff. Won't be returning any time soon
We ended having to move rooms twice one night. The owners of the facility were too busy talking to his wife or parents in a foreign language to help us. There was a dog barking all night in the room beside us and the next morning the agent at desk Holly said there was nothing they could do. When leaving there was two or three kids playing in the parking lot and going into rooms with the maids. Very unprofessional. Hotel needs new ownership or management if they want to keep business. The hotel itself looks nice and remodeled. Breakfast was plain Buffett food. Nothing special. Good for a few hours but wouldn't come back. Also had indoor pool listed but did not see one on property.
This hotel has been fairly recently remodeled, is clean, and very accommodating. The staff is wonderful when our group stays here every year. The breakfast is excellent, hot and cold items available. Bathroom is a little small, but clean and functional. If you need a place to stay in Dayton Tennessee, I would highly recommend this Best Western.
We booked this hotel for a one night stay while we visited a local college. Overall a very nice stay. The lady that checked us in was very nice and more than willing to answer our questions about the area. The lady at the desk/breakfast bar in the morning also was very nice and will to accommodate our request for decaf coffee. The décor is nice and has been updated. The hotel itself seemed older though. I would stay here again.
I was so impressed with the genuine customer service. It began with speaking with the Front Desk Manager Holly. She was truly a delight, knew her business and a few things that were a very small issue she took care of immediately with a big, friendly smile. The hotel was being remodeled and our room was gorgeous! I love the over sized mattresses and bedding - felt like I was being totally pampered. It was so nice, I told other family members who had travelled down for or event and they also decided to come and check in. I felt like I was staying in her home and I gave her a big hug when I left. I look forward to returning in the summer and staying again. Patty
Really comfortable room for a business trip. I appreciated the fridge and microwave convenience and the pet friendly nature of the place. The bedding was bright and clean and the mattress just right. I slept like a rock. On the cons: as a woman traveling alone, this placed seemed sketch as heck, especially as I walked my dog around the grounds after dark. Nothing at all untoward happened, I should point out. I just felt safer in my room. The receptionist was very nice, check in went well. I'd stay here again, now that I know what to expect, but it was a little... off putting. The pool was closed for renovations while I was there - not that I'd likely have taken a dip given my googly feeling anyway!
The room was big enough for me and three of my family members. It was clean and had all we needed for a quick stay. The staff members were very friendly and accommodating. From reserving the room over the phone to checking out, the process was quite easy. I would have no problem recommending the Best Western to friends.
The rooms are spacious and clean. Staff members were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The property is close to restaurants and the college. The bed was comfortable, the sheets were clean. The free breakfast is just icing on the cake. It's a great place to spend the night.
Wonderful stay!! I loved the people and express checkout was so nice. Bags to go for my breakfast and a lovely full breakfast for the rest of my crew. Beds were comfortable and rooms were nice. Clean and decor was great. The lobby was decorated for Christmas which added to the stay
Great place to stay staff is great. Room clean, and comfortable , great place to spend time in the pool with the kids. This is our second visit will return again. The area of the location of the hotel was nice it was in the middle of the area were we wanted to visit you have places to eat and smaller store to go to if needed.
There wasn't a lot of choices for hotels in Dayton, TN so we chose one word to a familiar name BW. It was a mistake because our experience and the room were less than expected of a BW. The room was moldy with candy wrappers on the floor, sheets with holes and pillow cases with yellow stains
Evacuating from Hurricane Irma was beyond stressful since we had our 2 little dogs to travel with and it is VERY hard to find a decent place to stay that is pet friendly. Not only was this location clean and well taken care of, but the staff was above and beyond accommodating. This location was our haven and HUGE BLESSING! THANK YOU!!!!
Overall was pleased with stay, just need to update room appliances, outdated and barely work, re-train cleaning staff, and don't make people feel like a criminal when asking for a towel, not enough towels for rooms and pool. The service of the staff was exceptional, very kind, friendly, compassionate.
I was surprised that this hotel was rated as very good in some of the travel advertisements. I found it to be quite comparable to many of the lower priced chain hotels. The bathroom was minuscule with the toilet almost against the wall...I wondered how people who are less slender can manage to sit on it...
We stayed overnight here on our way to Chattanooga. The room was beautiful. Looks like some recent upgrades have been done. Unlike most hotels in my experience the non smoking room actually smelled fresh. The room came with a refrigerator and microwave. They offer a free continental breakfast which was typical of most hotels. There also is a indoor pool open 10am - 10 pm. One down side the garbage can in the room contained a empty beer bottle. Would recommend staying here if in the area. Staff is very friendly.
great staff. the lady behind the cou ter was beautiful had a great smile. the hotel was clean, well decorated, stff was professional and friendly, i will return durning my next visit to the area. breakfast bad plenty of options
The hotel was clean and staff was really friendly. The only thing I wish was different was they didn't have handicap accessible rooms. The room we got was on the ground floor though with outside door. No handicap bathrooms or shower. I went with my elderly parents and my dad is on oxygen and cannot stand for very long. When we went to eat the breakfast they only had 3 tables and they were full. The lounge chairs and couch in the lobby was not firm so he could not sit on them. He was so short of breath and no place to sit. It was embarrassing for him and I didn't like that at all.
As usual my experience with trip advisor,as well as sure stay best Western hotel on Shallow ford Rd in Chattanooga TN was amazing!!!trip advisor was very helpful, fast, easy, and the deal we're great as always
I always enjoy going to best western it's amazing. The beds are very comfortable. I go there a lot so I know all the staff they are also very good and sweet people. If ever there is anything wrong with the room or anything they will resolve the issue
The hotel staff was very nice, helpful and professional, they made the stay very pleasant. The room was clean and very nice. I would recommend this hotel to any of my co workers, friends and family. I will definitely stay again in this hotel.
Based on limited selection of hotels in Dayton we went with Best Western because we had good experiences with them in the past. Our room had a very strong smoking odor to it, which made it hard to sleep.
Clean room, good breakfast, helpful and friendly staff, good WiFi. The owners obviously work hard to make this a nice place. Reasonably priced too. Thanks for a great stay. Breakfast was fresh. Good coffee.
This city has very few hotels, but if you are traveling through the Best Western is very economical and they make a good effort to keep it clean. The beds are fairly comfortable. The breakfast was like any free meal that is offered, the usual fare. They did make an effort to keep everything full and warm.
Was a great hotel. For the price my wife and I paid I was expecting a room with a little bit shoddier conditions but was pleasantly surprised to have a room that I would normally pay 50% more for. :^)
Average hotel. Staff was nice. Hotel is a little bit dated. A little far from Chattanooga, but located in pretty area. No drinking water provided with breakfast. Pool water was very cold. Contenital breakfast was average.
I came to Dayton Tennessee with my parents and two small children and stayed for three days visiting family in nearby Pikeville. The beds were comfortable, rooms large, breakfast amazing and the indoor pool was a plus. This is a slight odor which persisted throughout our stay but the price and acommodations took up for that!
The room was clean, good price, the breakfast was good also plenty of choices the staff is helpful and friendly, and my dog was allowed, it's very easy to find and the pool is very big we hope to stay again next time in Dayton
I would like to see more turkey sausage or bacon on the menu , for those of us who do not eat pork, overall will visit Best Western of Dayton TN again , also I will add the renovations of Best Western's looks amazing
There's a BBQ place within walking distance and it's in the heart of the city. The pool is awesome and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I would recommend staying here if you want to see the suburbs of TN.
Great service, great breakfast, comfy bed, nice pool, but hair in tub, sink and covering bathroom floor, shower curtain covered in mildew. Was allowed a later checkout and the price was very fair for accommodations.
We have stayed at this establishment twice a year for several years now and we keep coming back because of the way we are treated. Good people, clean rooms and a real small-town feel. We hold a hunting dog test in the area twice a year and not only do our club members and judges stay here, we post the motel on our webpage so competitors also stay here. They are pet friendly, have plenty of parking and treat everyone wonderfully. Great Job!!
The room was very clean, fresh and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable with large soft pillows. It had both a microwave and refrigerator. The receptionist was very cordial. The breakfast had a good variety and was good and fresh. A drive thru check in and out made it very easy.
Entered the room and there was a candle burning to try to cover up my nasty stinky dog urine and it was unbearable evening and a very difficult time sleeping The staff was notified in the morning but no response
We stayed here for a night before going on a hike. The price was great. The staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. They have a nice indoor pool. The breakfast room was clean and they had plenty of food options. We didn't leave hungry!
Our daughhter went to school in Dayton, TN. so we started staying here 25 yrs. ago. always treated well and service is good. we are like family now, so wouldn't stay anywhere else as our daughter & family live in Spring City, TN.
The Best Western hotel at Dayton, Tn had very clean rooms and friendly staff. Power was available in convenient locations to charge boat batteries. I would recommend this hotel for any future business that you may have in Dayton.
Nice clean well furnished rooms. Comfortable beds. Nice flat screen tv's and plenty of desk space for work. Pool for after work. Plenty of good food close by. Many nice attractions nearby from the mountains to the lake, take your pick. What more could you need.
I was there 6 weeks, and had NO problems at all. The rooms had air conditioning, beds were comfortable, lots of pillows, of different firmness, or softness. The breakfast was good. People friendly. Rooms could use some update. Also, go to Momo's, it's walkable and good. It's just south a block or so.
Reserved nonsmoking king room with pullout sleeper sofa. Upon arrival for sons High school fishing tournament, went to room and opened the door and the smell of smoke made me GAG!! The room smelled like an ASH TRAY!! Walked in and saw water all in the floor. Notified front desk and was given towels to soak it up, no one came to look at problem. Had to go to Walmart and spend $20 on febreez to mask the smell of smoke so we could stand being in the room not to mention had to buy an air mattress because there was no sleeper sofa in the room! Totally disgusting! Would not recommend to my worst enemy!!! You've been warned!!!!!!!
I travel on my job so when I can get a room with a whirlpool bath it's always a great thing. The room was very quite, and did I say the tub was great. Oh the tub was great. They want me to give 200 words. Okay the tub the tub the tub the tub. That was my purpose for staying there. When I called around to the different ones they were the only one that had what I wanted.
This was a wonderful place to stay. The place is clean and entire staff went above to accommodate and assist in any way. Breakfast had good choices and the pool is warm, clean, big and well maintain. Hotel located near the Brayan collage so its convince to travel. Love to stay here in our next visit
My mother and I recently stayed at this hotel one of the employees was rude and they tried to rip my mother off so uncalled for they where constantly messing up the reservation s and several customers where calling there office and coming in cause they where being charged extra when there room was paid up breakfast was cold my mom had to buy the stuff to clean the room cause it was dirty she had to wash the sheets on the bed the toilet stopped up and so did the sink I would not recommend this motel to any one and defiantly don't use a card cause they will charge your card without authorization even if your room is paid up

I stayed this hotel last four night during outages at tva plant. The room is nice and well maintain and staff was excellent. Nice breakfast and lots of verity include hot coca. Also pool is big and well maintain. Only cons is parking lot is small, I have to put my vehicle outside parking lot
This is our second stay at this hotel ,we love this place and the staff. Our room is clean and bed was comfortable. the pool is heated and clean. Breakfast was good and have lots of choice to eat like sausage ,eggs and hot waffle. We defiantly stay again as our son at brayan
The room was very clean, which is a MUST. The bed felt like a box spring rather than a mattress - we even checked! Only two towels for two of us, we requested more and had to go get them...and the next day when the room was serviced, still only two towels. Not a terrible place but not our first choice.
Stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms. Lots of space, comfortable bed, friendly staff. Breakfast was plentiful and hot. Whoever installed the ceramic baseboards in the bath didn't do a very good job but the rest of the bathroom was outstanding. Lots of hot water.
Just stay here. The staff are there to help you. The rooms are clean and the breakfast is great. Good value for your dollar. This is probably the best hotel for your money in Dayton TN. If you want cheaper- beware- you get what you pay for. Here at the Best Western, it is clean, and the staff are friendly. Make Best Western your choice for lodging in Dayton.
We stayed here as evacuees from South Carolina during Hurricane Matthew in October 2016. Our stay was a complete success! Reservations were easy to make by phone. Our room was large, clean, and comfortable. The internet connection was excellent. Parking was good. The breakfast service was dependable, but the breakfast options were limited and not great. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and professional. There are lots of fantastic sightseeing opportunities in the area, including Falls Creek Falls State Park and Point Lookout and Chickamauga Battlefield Park. Highly recommended motel!
We stayed two nights at the Best Western in Dayton, Tennessee, and the beds were very comfortable, the rooms very clean and quiet, there was a microwave and fridge in the room also. We had no problems with anything, it was a great stay.
I stayed a few nights on a fishing trip. Great place to stay. Rooms were newly renovated and very clean. I would definitely stay again. Plenty of parking if you are bringing your boat and plenty of places to charge your batteries.
To be honest, I wouldn't have chosen this hotel except that we were traveling with our puppy. BUT, I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the rooms were. I believe they've been renovating little by little and the rooms are actually pretty decent. They do have a pool and offer free breakfast, which is the typical free continental breakfast fare. Our room was clean and quiet, the breakfast good, the price great and the service was fine.
This really fit the bill. Check in was smooth. We took a dip in the pool - a very nice feature on a staggeringly hot day. We were very tired and slept very soundly. A very good sized room. AC was cool. The refrigerator cooled our drinks fairly quickly. It was everything we wanted and needed.
We stayed at the Best Western for five nights, while working in Dayton. There was a total of seven rooms we accomadated (you can do the math) , and we usually stay here every year. The hotel is usually fairly clean, and it's sufficient for a business trip. We have never had any issues arise, until this year . We left early one morning to work a full day and upon returning that night, one guest discovered an item in their room missing and reported it the following morning. They were told that the housekeeper sometimes brings her grandchildren along, and she heard them bragging about the particular item. The item was returned that afternoon. I also discovered an item missing, and it has yet to be returned. We have all declined housekeeping services the remainder of the week, after our personal belongings had been tampered with. We have paid for a service that we are not receiving, due to the integrity of an employee. I have never had an issue at this hotel, and I will definitely be reconsidering my stay the next time I am in Dayton.
On the night we visited Dayton, they were doing some sort of city wide repairs and all the electricity was out in the whole town. Driving on the highway with all the traffic lights not working was a bit nerve wracking. And not having a lit up sign made the hotel hard to find. The hotel entrance was super confusing in the dark and obviously there was no wifi without power and we weren't able to charge our phones. It was a bit hard to sleep without air conditioning in June since it was almost 90 degrees that day and the room was quite warm and stuffy. The hotel front desk staff seemed friendly enough and gave us a late checkout but housekeeping kept knocking on our door all morning despite the do not disturb sign being on the door. Honestly had I been told in advance this would be our experience we would have stayed elsewhere. The hotel has ample parking but not many restaurants nearby. We didn't get to try the breakfast as we were exhausted and didn't have working alarms.
We stayed 2 days visiting my family in Ten mile, This was a clean motel in the right spot for the right price. Indoor pool. quiet rooms and free breakfast. The staff is very nice and when we go back we'll stay here again.
We use this motel twice per year for an AKC hunt test. We book several rooms for judges and guests. We have never been disappointed with the amenities or the staff. This motel is very pet friendly which is extremely important to us!
Older hotel, but updated and well maintained. I will stay here each time I am in Dayton, TN. The staff is very courteous and friendly. Free breakfast is nice, with eggs, biscuits, gravy, oatmeal, waffles, etc. However, There was no bacon, sausage, or any normal breakfast side meat. Not a show stopper, but a bit surprised and slightly bummed. Bacon makes everything better, right??
As far as the room it self I would actually say 5. Breakfast 4.5, some kind of meat would have been nice, Internet access in our room 5 in a friends room upstairs 0, pool looked good, first night a lot of noise from upstairs kept wife awake didn't bother me, staff 5, location good for NACA baseball tournament. Would stay here again no question.
Our room was on the second floor accessed by stairs, but an easy climb. The hotel is not new, but has been redone very well and extremely clean. Although a train track is nearby, it was quiet enough to sleep through the night and there are many restaurants nearby, with a great variety of chains and local eateries. Very friendly and helpful staff and we would stay there again. Easily accessed from the highway.
Not a place to stay for a week, but an excellent option for an overnight stay. Pretty good breakfast and exceptionally nice staff. Dayton, home of the Scopes trial, is an interesting and very pretty town, too.
Off the beaten path for us, yet well worth the stay. A bonus was a decent Sushi / Steak place on our way there a few miles from the hotel. I would stop just to have the staff there. I do not appreciate a 200 character minimum for my review to be complete.
Room always clean when we came back at the end of the day. Love it when a refrigerator and microwave are standards feature of a room and you don't have to ask for one, hoping to get them. Very much appreciated. Has a small room with washers / dryers for guests to use - fantastic!! Thank you! It does have an indoor pool, but I have never been here "in season", so not sure if heated or not. It is within walking distance to both Rite Aid and Walgreens, with many restaurants within a very short drive away. My husband said our neighbors were loud about 2AM the first night, but I didn't hear a thing. That was the only time we were disturbed. I believe he told front desk... ?
Nice clean hotel, undergoing some renovations. The staff was very helpful and the breakfast was good , many choices such as waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage and gravy as well as yogurt and hot food was hot. They had great recommendations for local restaurants, Our favorite was the Monkey Town Brewery.
My hubby and I stayed at this Dayton Best Western for 3 nights. The room was clean, the bed was comfy. The front desk clerks were friendly and helpful. We were in the area to see the Sandhill Cranes at the Hiwassee Wildlife Refuge and to visit the Falls Creek Falls State Park. The location worked out for easy visits to both places. They have the usual free breakfast and the price was reasonable. I would recommend this hotel.
I have been staying here when winter weather might prevent me getting to work. Every overnight stay has been good. It is an older hotel but it has been updated. Comfortable beds, extremely clean rooms and the staff has always been nice.
Stopped here for just a quick overnight stop while traveling thru the area. Didn't get in till around 8pm...booked my room thru this site and left early. Nice room, good value, and they have breakfast. Would recommend.
I stayed here recently for 3 nights on a trip and I had a good experience. I would definitely stay here again in the future. The hotel is older, but was clean. They also allow pets for a nominal fee. The breakfast was the usual hotel fare. I tried the waffles and biscuits and gravy and eggs and they were all pretty good. There is a train track that runs through the town of Dayton and the trains run regularly, so you will hear a train in the night, but it's not that noisy and you get used to it. There are not a lot of hotels here and this is a good choice. The staff was very nice and always friendly, too.
For this small town it is a very pleasant hotel and the people are always willing to help. Has all the comforts of home. Plenty of eating establishments in walking distance. Never ran out of hot water! Have in other places that cost a lot more.
Excellent staff, clean comfortable rooms, allow pets. nice breakfast, good coffee. great experience. great location across the street from Bimbos restaurant. I know the name is funny but that is the family name. great food, good prices. Also this Best Western has a great indoor swimming pool. I would definitely stay here again. We have many family members in area.
If you are traveling, stop by, it is a great place to stay. Much to do in Dayton and Rhea County. it is about 45 min from Chattanooga so it is a bit less expensive than if you stayed in Chattanooga. I think it is a little pricey still but..... it is convienient.
The hotel was very clean and comfortable also the room we stayed. The staff was courteous and friendly and the continental breakfast had a good selection ,I like the hot waffle and scramble eggs. The pool was large, clean and well mainteined, also the location is good too to see mountain from room, if I am in this area will be back .
We stay here every chance we have to get back to Decoration Day and visit extended family in the area. They are great to us. Hotel has indoor pool, rooms are clean, staff is friendly. The restaurant area is under renovation so hopefully they will have a great spot there as well.
We stayed here for one night on September 2, 2015 on a road trip. Our king no-smoking room smelled strongly of smoke. Room had refrigerator and microwave and was a nice size. Everything seemed to be clean, but all seemed worn, dated, and in need of an upgrade. All we did was bathe and sleep. We did not take advantage of the continental breakfast so I cannot comment on that.
My wife and I stayed at this nice hotel while visiting friends in the area. The owners were very helpful, making sure that all was going well. The area was quiet, not much noise heard from outside. The pool attracted several young people, they were having a lot of fun. The area is rolling hills, scenic, historic.
