Best Western Hotel Danderyd

Very quiet, nice breakfast (real scrambled eggs) and very serviceminded staff

This hotel is small, unassuming from the outside and a bit difficult to find (apparently, the guy who was delivering my lost bag from the airport couldn't find it) but once you arrive, everything you needed was taken care of immediately. The rooms are nicely done with a mattress topper on them. Clean, stylish and efficient. But where the BWH Danderyd stands out is the people that they have as their front line employees. EVERYTHING was immediately answered, investigated or worked out. The hotel is also very quiet, allowing those without jet lag (which I had a very bad case) to get a fulfilling night's sleep. Breakfast was simple and outstanding. Nothing to recommend but to recommend that you choose this property before anything else in the area.

It's has always been a pleasure to visit hotel Danderyd and this time was no exception either. Well located and well maintained premises with extremely friendly and helpful staff makes your stay very enjoyable. Special thanks to Joel being very helpful and had to face some extra trouble with my lost& found issue. Hope to be back anytime soon. Tapio Tienaho Finland

Although a lovely hotel, I was disappointed with my experience. I went to Stockholm for a conference with this being one of the hotels recommended through the conference website. Never having been to Stockholm, I did not recognize the long distance from city centre as well as the conference venue, I do not agree with the travel times listed for driving (uber) or subway, my experience was that it was much longer….meaning a 1.5 hour round trip commute simply to get to the conference venue and meaning I would have very little time for sight seeing. There were also very few places to eat close by at night, I arrived at 9 from the airport….if you have a late flight get something to eat before you leave the airport! It was quite pricey for a small simple room with 2 twin beds. I was so disappointed with the location that I ended up moving to another Best Western hotel…even though I stayed only 1 of 4 nights and was moving to another Best Western location, the hotel refused to refund any nights. I understand that cancelation policies are in place for a reason but am also aware exceptions are made regularly as a cost of business so was very disappointed an exception wasn't made to reimburse even one of the nights. Disappointed with the Best Western brand in this case and will likely avoid this chain in the future due to this experience.

Fantastic stay at Best Western Hotel Danderyd! Very friendly staff, spotless and quiet rooms, super comfortable beds, and excellent blackout curtains for a perfect night's sleep. The breakfast was outstanding with a huge selection of fresh and delicious options. Great location with easy access to Stockholm while still enjoying a calm atmosphere. Highly recommended — we will definitely return!

Had a rough week before us with a child under NPF-evaluation, who also for the first time experienced life in a big city. Got taken aback by the absolute kindness and warmth showed by the staff at this hotel, making my daughter feel happy and safe! Thank you all for the kindness! Hotel in itself is also cozy, well maintained and feels calm. Awesome breakfast aswell! :) Only feedback is regarding the sauna, which we booked (the sauna itself is great!), but was not made aware that it was 100SEK to use. Completely fine that it costs, but should tell the guests upfront so they know (we would have booked it anyway!). Very nice stay, will recommend it to friends/family and if we go to stockholm for some other reason we will be back! :)

This hotel is excellent. Location near the Tunnelbana is convenient. The welcoming from the staff was superb and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The bedroom is very well designed and comfortable and the bathroom is one of the best designed we have seen in a hotel. Importantly there were grab rails to assist getting into and out of the bath shower, which had a non slip surface. The buffet breakfast is also excellent. No matter how hard we tried we could not think of any criticism. In conversation with the owner we discovered they cater for long stay visitors with washing facilities and use of the emptied minibar fridge in the room. When we return to Stockholm this is where we will stay.

My son and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and had a wonderful time. The managers Mark, Mike and Joel were kind, informative and excellent hosts. The hotel is very safe and very close to public transportation (buses and rail service to Stockholm) although we had a rental to drive. This location is very, very quiet and at the end of the road so there's virtually no traffic. Breakfast is buffet style and excellent food, great way to start the day. The rooms are clean and the beds... OMG, so comfortable. When we come back to Sweden, we will definitely stay here again. Best value as well... there are plenty of more expensive hotels in the area but why pay more when you can get this AAA service for less? Loved out time here... thank you

Great service, extremely clean, well appointed and large rooms. Quaint, comfortable and “homy” small hotel. 5 mins walk to Mörby Centrum metro station, 5 minutes drive to Djursholm. Friendly, quiet, away from the highway. Neighbours an office community and private homes.

Great place, can only strongly recommend !!! Seems far from city but use cab or public transport… only 10min and great place to stay and very nice staff !! Breakfast is top, diverse… nice view with beautiful garden, top quality interiors, lot of nice details… e.g quality of bathroom products…

Probably one of the best hotels I have stayed at. They have a beautiful garden, where it is extremely relaxing to have a coffee and take the sun. They also have a gigantic sauna, which you can book privately. Everyone at the hotel is friendly and the breakfast is very detailed, with little surprises.

Very nice hotel, in a quiet are of Mörby. It is a 7 minute walk to the subway and busses. There is parking outside the hotel, but it quickly fills up, there are a lot more parking space if you can walk 100m. There are charging stations for electrical vehicles. The room was a good modern room, fairly spacious and clean. The staff was nice and unusually helpful.

Good hotel and very friendly staff . All the premises are in an excellent condition. Nice and quiet neighbourhood around the hotel. Easy to come and go, with or without the car. Good value for the money in my opinion. Tube station and shops nearby.

Gathering for a family wedding, this was a happy and successful event - enhanced by the location of the hotel near to the wedding venue, and the friendliness of the staff. Easy to get to without a car, and convenient for the local shops and the city centre. Only downside was finding a meal on Sunday evening.

Our 3 day stay was for a funeral. We arrived from the airport in the middle of the night with no luggage. The staff communicated very well as to how to get in as the front desk is not staffed after hours but in an emergency is available. But we had no need of them as directions were very clear and easy to follow to get in and find our rooms. Which had very comfortable beds. This boutique hotel is located a 5 minute walk to the village where you will find anything you need including the metro station that takes you to Stockholm central station that is approximately a 15 min metro ride away. The hotel staff were a wonderful help lending us a phone and translating so we could track our luggage. The hotel has a lovely outside deck which you can sit on to enjoy their delicious breakfast, which has a good variety of choices. Tea and coffee was available self serve. The hotel is in a lovely quiet neighborhood on a dead end street. If you like curry there is a delicious curry restaurant just near by on your walk to the village that is excellent and very reasonably priced. Although we were here for our Mums funeral we enjoyed this lovely little peaceful oasis of a hotel. The staff were exceptional. We will return and highly recommend them.

We really enjoyed our stay at this cozy hotel and would recommend it to anyone visiting the Stockholm area. Mark and his wonderful staff are so kind and take great care of their guests. Stylish, clean and comfortable interior and a lovely breakfast enjoyed on the flower-adorned terrace! We'll be back!

Excellent hotel, absolutely amazing staff on housekeeping and front of desk. A beautiful hotel which we will return to un the future. All our requests were answered promptly. The breakfast was extremely good and the patio area to the rear of the hotel was beautifully kept with flowers on every table

Just spent another two amazing nights at BW in Danderyd. During 2023 have probably spent around at least 15 nights here. This is my home away from home. Whether for business or pleasure I strongly recommend the BW team.

Mark, the owner of the hotel, made the stay so wonderful that I would rate this a 5-star hotel. This was absolutely nothing like other Best Western hotels in which I've stayed. There were so many extra touches, including a beautiful garden. They also provided very healthy drinks and food for breakfast. This was my favorite hotel stay ever, and I've stayed in many famous 5-star hotels. I highly recommend this hotel, and it's staff!

The hotel is lovely! I was surprised at the stocked fridge, comfortable bed, big bathroom, smart TV, etc...for the fee I paid. The breakfast was filling and plenty. My love for Best Western just got better.

I choose this hotel not sure what to expect but I was more than happy with my choice. The design and feel was so pleasant and the beds lovely. I also was more than happy with the superb and generous breakfast buffet. Don't miss staying at this place!

We were met by a worldclass hospitality experience from checking in to out. We loved the hotel and the elegant room. It is a small exklusive place and a very relaxed comfortable ambience. Breakfast was generous and included everything from freshly baken bred and pastries to bacon and scrambled eggs. Not a very cheap hotel but worth it. We will come again.

We found this hidden gem of a hotel on Google and booked it while visiting Stockholm. We were overwhelmed by the first class service and top notch design. Rooms comfortable and excellent breakfast. Don't miss staying here whike visiting Stockholm.

We were not sure what to expert when choosing The hotel considering it is in a suburb to Stockholm. We were just overwhelmed by the 5 star hospitality that we experienced. Rooms comfy and newly remodelled. Breakfast with all you wish for. We recommend!

We were surprised by what service and true hospitality we encountered at this family owned hotel. Everything was more than we would expect and we truly recommend this hotel! Fantastic staff, lovely and calm location, nice decoration and lovely room. Breakfast manager is fantastic! Very peaceful and quiet, yet near to the city with local traffic. Nice surroundings which provides nice walks and relaxation.

I love this hotel for the value. Its in a great location, they serve a great breakfast, and everyone I have met there is extremely nice. A bonus is the nicely stocked in-room fridge - great to have after along day of travel. I will be back!

Stayed here White visiting friends. Funderar this hidden gem on Booking.com and was very pleased by The friendliness of The staff and The beautiful rooms. Breakfast was The best with salmonella and freshly baked croissants and bacon and scrambled eggs. I Will recommend to Everton.

I normally when travel pick Best Western hotel as I can be sure I get good quality of service and nice stay when on buisness trip. This was no exeption and I had really great stay. Friendly and helpful staff and hotel was clean and beds nice.

Very cosy hotel hidden in a nice environment and close to a shopping center and bus station/underground. Large rooms, good parking space and nice breakfast. Nice lounge and bar. Comfortable beds. Nice staff. Possible to have breakfast outdoors

Been staying here for work on and off for over the last 12 months. Great place. Evening Food is good (But only Mon to Thursday). 10 minute walk to Mörby Centrum tube station and shopping centre. Rooms are excellent. Honesty bar, so help yourself and write it down. Buffet breakfast is very good.

I stayed 2 nights on business at this hotel, and was very satisfied. The hotel has it's own charm. The rooms are really nice and has great size. Although the furniture don't look too modern, the bed was very comfortable. The room was very clean, including the bathroom which is really comfortable and good size too. The breakfast is very nice with a good various of foods. The restaurant feels like a dining room :) You can also purchase some items which you might need during your staff which includes personal items, and snacks and drinks. The staff of the hotel is very friendly and helpful. I really think, this is a great choice to stay!

The hotel is a bit outdated. But the staff of this family-owned and run hotel compensates big time. High service, very patient and friendly. Service with a smile. Breakfast is very good. Mörby station is only 5 minutes walk, and you can take the tunnelbanen into Stockholm which takes you downtown in 15 minutes.

As this was a business trip, I didnt do any homework on reading reviews for the hotel. Location was more important. Usually I always read reviews as I have had myself over 125.000 thousands readers of my own reviews until Feb. 2017. I arrived late after work travelling several countries and meetings and was very welcome and professionally met already outside at the taxi. It was a one-man-show done by the receptionist named Erik. It was truly only up to him to make the difference and he managed the reception ( doorman, room service, laundry, kitchen, breakfast buffee in morning etc etc). I sincerely hope that a) the owners and management appreciate an employee like this correctly and b) other hotel managers would understand customer service importance in the same way as @ Hotell Danderyds Gästeri.

The hotel might be rated as 3*** but the staff makes it 5***** ! Tidy, quiet and clean room, friendly and welcoming staff, fresh and lovely prepared breakfast, good information about local opportunities, close to the metro station... We loved to stay at Danderdys Gästeri and highly recommend it.
