Best Western Plus Clearfield

Based on the review on the internet we have chosen the Best Western in Clearfield as this is the perfect half way point from Toronto to Virginia. The staff were very courteous. Our room was large and clean located on the third floor. Value for money is excellent. Best Western rate included the breakfast. We had a warm breakfast which included scramble eggs, sausages, home made country potatoes (not from the freezer) & pancakes. Also they have a gourmet coffee machine. You can have a expresso, latte, hot chocolate, capaccino or regular. Good value for Canadian snowbirds with the low exchange rate. We went for dinner near by at a family run restaurant «  the Dutch Pantry ». A little gem of restaurant that brings nostalgic vibes with their decor and menu. Excellent price, food and service. They even offer a senior menu which is very much appreciated by Canadian snowbirds like us!

This was an excellent motel in a good location and very clean. We brought our dog and stayed in the first floor room, and the experience was our best of our entire vacation. The pool and hot tub or clean and refreshing and therapeutic. The motel was decorated in autumn colors, and it was very cozy and warm and inviting. If we ever get to this area again, we would definitely stay, and we will now be looking at best western more than some of the other chain motels that we have stayed in the past. Thank you to all the staff and management for the good experience for our last night of our vacation.😊

Has a coin operated washer and dryer on 3rd floor. Bathtub has a nonskid mat provided and grab bar for ease of getting out and in. Very quiet in the room! Sink counter is a nice length to put your things on. I stayed 4 days and EVERY day they made my bed and gave me more little bottles of lotion, shampoo and conditioner! High chairs are provided in breakfast area—never saw that before in a motel—nice! Halloween and fall decorations throughout motel were a nice creative touch! Motel is close to lots of places, including Interstate 80, Walmart, and gas stations. Very scenic in the fall! Dutch Pantry is a “must do” place to go if you are looking for souvenirs and a good restaurant nearby. Not sure why, but no Gideon Bible in the room. Exercise room does not have a recumbent bike, but they do have a regular bike to use. Everything was very clean.

Hotel was comfortable, but the whole place smelled of some sort of cleaner. Breakfast was the usual decent buffet, but the coffee was horrible machine brewed coffee. Pool area looked beautiful, but while the hot tub water was pristine, the pool was cloudy and we didn't go in. The jets were broken on the hot tub. When mentioning the pool issues at checkout, we were given a substantial discount, so h/t for making things right.

I was very happy with the staff. They were very friendly and helpful. If I ran into any of the them on my way in or out they made it a point to say hello and ask if I needed anything. The room was very clean and the ladies that were cleaning were very friendly and pleasant. We have gone to other hotels in Clearfield, Pa but the Best Western is the one we like the best. We will be back.

I like this hotel and will always book here while in Clearfield. Staff was wonderful. Clean room with all the conveniences. Full breakfast. I stay every year they update hotel regularly and keep it a nice place to enjoy your stay with no worries.

It is one of the best BW hotel I have stayed. Can not beat it for cleanliness. All services provided are top class as one would expect them to be. Staff is willing to go an extra mile to make your stay comfortable.

Very well kept hotel. All the staff members were fantastic, Teresa in the dining room was particularly wonderful. The pool was very nice. Would stay here again. We are driving from the east coast to the west coast and this was our first stop, we will stay here again on our return trip.

It looks fabulous in and out. Rooms are nice comfortable. However,! Going to the great pool, hot tub 😡😡😩 Hot jets out of order. Maybe 98 degrees, pool ! Maybe 72. What a disappointment 😩 for a great facility. I'll call before booking again to confirm everything is working as posted on WEB site.

Impressed with how clean the room was breakfast was hot the pool area was clean and well stocked with towels very nice hotel my daughter lives down that way and we will definitely consider staying again if necessary

The hotel worked for me. Great location close to the highway. Cleanliness needed some work in the bath and the sheets were old but clean. The breakfast was good and helped to make the $115.00 plus tax and fee more worthwhile.

Super clean, comfortable & offers several amenities, including a delicious breakfast. We stayed there to attend Groundhog Day festivities. Really nice accommodations, if you ever find yourself in Clearfield, PA.

Was traveling from Chicago and hoping to make it to Bloomsburg, PA. Haven't made it there and stopped in Clearfield. What a surprise with friendly staff and a very, very comfortable bed. Woke up refreshed and ready for the remainder of our trip.

Upon arriving we were told the elevator didn't work , we are both in our eightys maybe it couldn't be helped . after going to the room the tv didn't work we went back to the counter person he said to unplug and try again. Itstill didn't work asked for another room the clerknamed Tyler was very arrogant and said if you don't like leave.. We have been going to this hotel 2x a year for 6 years my relatives have been using the hotel the same amount Never again

Quiet and clean rooms. Nothing special They rent rooms to construction workers the both times i stayed there. The breakfast area is full of workers in the morning and the parking lot is full of construction vehicles and large trucks.

We were new to the area and didn't know which hotel to choose. We're glad we chose the Best Western Plus in Clearfield. All of the staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. We will be back to the Best Western in Clearfield and will choose Best Western in other locations as well.

Lovely hotel. Comfortable beds and pillows . Clean from top to bottom. Price was great. Friendly staff. Great breakfast, fresh fruit with fresh coffee. Nice work out facility. Did not use pool but both pool and hot yup appeared clean and well kept.. Highly recommend.

Upon arrival, we were informed their cable and internet were not working. Okay, that happens--not a huge deal. Except A) Every other hotel in the area had working internet and cable. B) When we asked about it, the response was they would contact the company about it later. And C) It was magically fixed the next day when a huge bus full of people arrived to check in. But regardless, with no cable and internet, we made a simple request to sit in the lobby (breakfast area), out of the way, so we could chat. This was met with an immediate "we don't allow that here at Best Western". Which #1) is not true of any other property and #2) when you are having major technical problems that you're not looking into would be the least you could do to help your customers. Upon arriving slightly early, I asked if there was a room available. The response was not that there wasn't, but that the person at the front desk wasn't willing to go check to see if one was. By the way, there were maybe 8 people checked into the hotel at this point, so yes, there was a room available. But it was too much to ask for them to check. The pool area was filthy. The alarm clock was apparently set to 6 a.m. so it went off then. There was no one at the front desk when you needed to ask anything. Finally, upon checkout, when asked how my stay was, I politely and calmly explained what was wrong with it. This was immediately met with a combative attitude from the manager (middle-aged woman, morning of September 17, 2023). When I refused to get into an argument with her, she promptly threw the receipt at me and sent me away. Do better. That service level is embarrassing. No one should stay here when there are 20 other similarly priced properties nearby where you don't have to put up with this attitude.

Pleasantly surprised at the spacious 1 King Bed, non-smoking room. It was very clean and welcoming. The bathroom included an oversized tub/shower - very nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is close to several businesses and restaurants so you have the opportunity to enjoy the area in your spare time. I highly recommend this hotel for your stay... you will not be disappointed!

We agree with all the other reviews that the Clearfield Best Western Plus is a great place to stay. Desk staff helpful and courteous, found us the best discount. Room beautiful and clean. Great location off of I-80. Also they have carbon monoxide detectors in the room! I have never seen that before and that is a great idea. But the automatic pancake machine beats all. Better than the waffle maker, because you can't make a mess. You just wave your hand in front of the sensor and just wait for your pancakes. They also have a Nescafe automatic coffee machine that makes coffee bar coffees, but that machine needs some adjustments. Tried the latte feature and wasn't that good. Regular coffee was fine and also the mocha. Rest of breakfast was comparable to other places. Would definitely stay there again.

My wife and I were pleasantly surprised by the excellent condition of our room. Personnel were all very friendly and helpful. The hotel lobby and breakfast area were both clean and neat. I would recommend the Best Western Plus in Clearfield to anyone needing a hotel room in Clearfield or nearby towns.

The room was spacious and clean. The shower was amazing! Great water pressure. My husband enjoyed the pool and hot tub very much. The breakfast was very good and Teresa who worked there was so friendly and helpful. I totally recommend this hotel. We will definitely use this hotel next time we pass thru.

One night stop. Check in was easy, ROOM WAS CLEAN, air condition worked. TV I couldn't figure out, but I didn't really need that anyway. Fridge and microwave in the room was a plus. The breakfast in the morning was just enough. They had coffee juice, fruit, bagels, rolls, yogurt, and a waffle maker!

This was a very nice hotel. We only stayed one night as we were just passing through but it was a nice stay. The hotel is clean and the beds were super comfy and the breakfast was really good. We would stay here again.

Clean, nice sized room. Good hot or cold breakfast options. Nice pool & hot tub. Perfect location not far off the main road, & nicely by food & gas & entertainment options. Classy looking place. Easy check in & out.

Last minute stop and was looking for a hotel that had a hot tub to relax in after driving all day. The rate was great, room was great, breakfast was fine for being free. The only things that jumped out was the hot tub was just a few degrees warmer than the pool and the walls are a bit thin (could hear the people next door having a normal conversation)

I always stay at this hotel when in Clearfield. The desk staff are so helpful, rooms are clean, and the location is perfect. I have no problem falling asleep in their beds as they are quite comfortable.

This is our hotel of choice on our trips to New York. Belinda the managers dedication and hard work definitely refexes in her staff. Tyler at the front desk has a dynamic personality and provides excellent customer service. Garrett is on top oc the breakfast dining which provides a variety of hot and cold selections. Always willing to assist in your needs. The rooms are clean comfortable and relaxing HIGHLY recommend this hotel.

This hotel is so welcoming. I generally stay here on 4 trips, with an overnight each way. I hadn't made a trip necessitating a stay here since August. Even so, they recognized me! How welcoming! The front desk staff is always friendly and accommodating. My room has never had a problem. And if cleanliness is important to you, when I arrived they were wiping down the lobby walls, etc--early spring cleaning. By the way, how many hotels send you a personally signed Christmas card!?! That certainly gives you an idea of how much they are invested in customer care.

The room is spacious and very clean, The staffs are extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast room is big with pretty good food selection. My family always stay in this hotel several times a year during our trip to visit family members.

This property was great. The staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The breakfast was decent (eggs, cereals, bread and pastries, yogurt, etc). Wifi is included. My only "nit picking" issue with the room was that the floor felt uneven. Aside from that, this was a great place to rest our head while we were traveling south. Conveniently located just off the highway, with restaurants and gas stations nearby.

This place has NO CLUE HOW TO TREAT GUESTS RESPECTFULLY and clearly the Assistant Manager was Not interested in Listening. Of 9 state across the country this is the Only location that hassled me. When calling to speak with the manager the front desk associate apparently doesn't know how to take a message at least they didn't offer to take one i had to ask which is a little bit ridiculous since i was told to call again

Clean and nice room on the first floor. We did get in the hot tub and use the exercise equipment some too. Had scrambled eggs and sausage for breakfast. My husband had pancakes and fruit. Nice breakfast. Bed was comfortable. Check in and out was speedy.

Nice pool and spa. Staff friendly and helpful. Grandson loved the pool and spa. Rooms where clean. Close to arcade across the street. Many restaurants and gas close by at gas stations. Breakfast was good. grocery stores close by.

Stayed all over the U.S. This is the best hotel we have stayed in. Awesome pool and hot tub. Immaculately clean. All staff pleasant and taking pride their work. Most affordable with keeping accomodations extremely nice... Since covid it has been hard to find a quality hotel that Is clean and not short staffed. Absolutely loved the cleanliness of dining areas...the meal prep had all touchless devices with hot breakfast. The staff were wiping and cleaning stuff down.... we cannot say enough wonderful things. We will definitely be stopping here yearly, kudos to the staff and owners for making our stay wonderful..... Thank you...

Over my career I have spend 100's of nights in motels, but I have never been in one that was even close to as noisy as this one. We could hear every car and truck that passed by. It was so bad that it sounded like we were sleeping outside. We finally gave up at 4:00am and showered and left. This is a nice looking motel and the staff was courteous, but very poor construction with no thought to noise control. I you are in this area and looking for a place to stay I would choose another motel if you want to sleep.

Was an amazing place to stay , clean , quiet, comfy bed and blankets!! Beautiful swimming pool! Wonderful breakfast beautiful location to!! Close to 80 but you heard no road noise!! The hot tub was blissful!! Even tho I couldn't use it all the way due to being pregnant just soaking a bit was wonderful!! Would highly recommend them to anyone!

Verry Happy with our stay. The elevator was not working, I am in a wheelchair and our room was on the second floor. They were more than happy to find us a room on the ground floor. Thanks for not making my trip a bad experience.

Anniversary vacation brought us to this place. Room was super clean. Best hotel shower we've ever had. Super beds and pillows. Plenty of clean towels. Great, hot breakfast. Everything you could want in a hotel stay. Don't even think of going to any other Clearfield hotel.

By far the cleanliness hotel I have ever stayed at. Been going and staying there for over 6 years. Excellent customer service and shout to Teresa for breakfast. Best sausage gravy. She never disappoints us on the food. She keeps everything so clean. Thanks again Best Western for a fun filled weekend!

Excellent place to stay, easy on and off the Highway, room was nice and clean, price reasonable, quiet in the room, stayed on 2nd floor, staff was excellent, stayed here years ago due to snow and got off the road, and still a nice clean place to stay!! If in this area again and decide to stay the night will book this Hotel!!!!

The facility was well kept and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. I threw my 60th birthday party and my guests were also impressed. There is a pool, a jacuzzi, and work out equipment. I can't thank the staff enough.

We were pleased with our experience at the Clearfield Best Western Plus. Clean & comfortable accommodations with helpful, friendly staff. They had well equipped fitness room with cleaning supplies for the machines! We were greeted and offered a free room upgrade which was an added bonus.

The service was excellent from the Management to the service staff and the room had everything we needed. The location is close to several restaurants, fast food and shopping. And close to interstate 80. Small town with helpful and friendly people.

This hotel exceeded all expectations from check-in to check-out. Our room and the common areas were very clean and well appointed. The free breakfast buffet had everything we wanted to start our day. All of the front desk people were great and greeted you even if you just walked by. In short, it was very evident that this is a very well managed hotel that cares about its customers.

I have reviewed this property several times before. Just wanted to add that the rooms now have individual keurig makers. That's what I really like about this hotel: they are always seeking to enhance a person's experience. The staff is so friendly and the place is always clean. Finally, the Best Western Rewards program is one of the best.

We stayed here just one night passing through town and think it was a good experience. We had a very easy and friendly check in experience. We were asked if we were going to use the sofa bed so we could get our sheets right away which was nice because I had an issue with the sofa bed sheets at a different hotel earlier in the week. The room was big and nice and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was nice and the shampoos smelled really good. breakfast the next morning was pretty good and check out was easy.

Was a great stay , good breakfast, well appointed room , staff friendly and helpful. The internet was strong, the parking lot was large and room charge was medium. Hot tub (should be hotter) but was enjoyable as was the beautiful pool. Towels were Complimentary and free cold water was provided to the diamond members. Stay again in a heart beat.

My mother and I stay in this hotel/location several times a year while visiting family. The rooms are very clean; the staff is friendly and helpful; the rooms are large and accommodate my mother's wheelchair; breakfasts are very accommodating to all tastes; very close proximity to family and restaurants. enjoy our stay every time.

I checked in after 10:00 PM on Thursday evening, July 7, 2022, and retired without checking the room due to how late it was. When I woke the next morning I discovered bedbugs in my bed. The front desk staff didn't want me to show proof video, simply said "I believe you" and refunded my money. No mention of what action they will take, or offer to pay for the clothes I left in the room. Stay away from this place!!!!

We have stayed here for the past 6 years to attend the 100 Mile Yard Sales, and we always enjoy our stay! Rooms are always clean, spacious, pool was terrific after 2 hot days! Breakfast is a winner with our family, staff is wonderful and accommodating.

Check-In was quick and easy and individual checking us in was very cordial and polite. Room was very clean and neat and well suppllied. Pool looked very clean and exercise room had several machines to use. Checkout was quick and easy.

The overall state of the hotel and rooms If you do use the pool, take care of the rough pool surface. Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer at this hotel :) It's not a 5+ star hotel, and yet you get all that you need/want, in this cosy hotel.

After gambling with Motel 6's during a cross country motorcycle trip I decided to treat myself, for Father's Day, and stay at this location, which was on my way home. It was like stepping into another world. Spotless, amenities galore, very helpful staff, HUGE, spotless room, great gym, pool, hot tub you name it. The best part is a bar/restaurant, gas station right across the street. Super Walmart center, Lowes steps away. Fresh breakfast with many choices to choose from. All around great price/quality. I would stay here over and over again.

I was having a lot of trouble on the website booking a room. I called today and spoke to Tyler who was one of the nicest people I have ever dealt with. He went out of his way to help me. I am looking forward to staying at the hotel soon. Keep up the great work. Thank you.

We gave stayed @ this locations several times & have always been satisfied. Disappointed that there breakfast bar wasn't available, due to a water break. But they substituted a grab & go breakfast that was OK but, not the same. All other services were satisfactory, including friendly staff, clean rooms, and swimming.

The room was spacious and clean. Very quiet at night. Hot tub was relaxing and open til 11pm. Great location, close to state park. The staff was friendly. Breakfast had a nice variety even tho it was grab n go. Would def return.

I haven't stayed in a BW for some time, and was pleasantly surprised at how beautiful and updated this property was. The bed was so comfortable, I usually have problems getting to sleep because of hip and back pain, but had the best night sleep in a long time. Rooms and property were impeccably clean. I felt very safe there as a woman travelling alone. Would most definitely stay at a BW Plus again. Great price for all the amenities too, free breakfast, good WiFi, pool, close to the highway, restaurants and gas stations.

Upon arrival we had to wait for the staff to show up to the front desk (5+ minutes of looking and yelling hello for someone to acknowledge that we were standing at the front desk), the room was filthy, the toilet seat was broken and hanging off the toilet, the shower had large black curly hairs stuck to the back wall and under the faucet, and the clock on the nightstand was broken and continuously emitted a loud buzz until finally unplugged. This hotel was disgusting, unclean, and clearly not maintained.

I stay here 3 - 4 times a year. I am always warmly greeted. The room is always clean and in order. The hot tub, indoor pool and fitness center are open til 11, which is later than many that I stay at. There are 4 other hotels right in the same area--I wouldn't go anywhere else. .

We were well beyond satisfied with the staff, the cleanliness and the comfort. We travel up and down the east coast - MA to FL and with a stop for family in PA and have never experienced such a comfortable stay with a staff that exceeded out expectations. The room was Clean, quiet, comfortable.

Everything was nice and clean. Breakfast was grab and go but what can you expect during covid? Pool area was super clean and a lot of fun! Internet was fast and the rooms were large and comfy! I would recommend them to anyone!

The staff at the front desk were below average at check in and HORRIBLE at check out. The Assistant Manager Ginger was very rude and confrontational throughout the entire process. She had zero customer service skills and should not be at the desk.

This was a last minute stop on our way home. It was nice to have a working Hot Tub and Pool, and it was open!! Rooms were clean and the front desk was very helpful with finding food floor the night.will stay again!!

We always feel right at home every time we stay at a BW Hotel. Good food, good staff, clean rooms, reasonable price, well lit parking areas, great check in experience, especially the two free waters!! Places easy to find all around the country.

We felt very comfortable and enjoyed our stay in this hotel in Clearfield. Location is excellent close to the highway and all other facilities like eating places. Hotel property very clean and neat. Best of all the staff was very friendly and willing to go out of their way to make our stay very comfortable. Breakfast area was specious with lot of seating tables. Breakfast spread just like one expects from Best Western and quality of each item offered very satisfactory. It further strengthened our resolve to stay with Best Western wherever possible.

We arrived at this hotel at 3 a.m., dead tired, not knowing what to expect. Ashley, the night manager, could not have been more professional, helpful and welcoming. The hotel was immaculately clean from top to bottom. The room was super comfortable- the beds nice, the bedding great, the towels good- and the breakfast was nice. Ginger, the day manager, was equally friendly and helpful. We even returned on our way back from the trip and made a special effort, driving more miles than planned, to stay there again. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.A great bargain and a super clean, comfy stay.

We always stay at this hotel when we area in the area. The beds are comfortable, the shower is great and the continental breakfast has a lot of hot and cold options. Don't hesitate to stay here, you will not be disappointed.

We have stayed at many hotels on our road trips and this Best Western is the best one. I actually wanted to purchase a time share to stay there its was quiet, comfortable, relaxing and refreshing.....

We frequently stay at this hotel, and it consistently exceeds our expectations. ALL of the staff are attentive and pleasant. The rooms are very clean. The breakfast is always the highlight of our stay! Teresa makes sure the breakfast area is clean and well stocked. Looking forward to returning.

This hotel is about 45 minutes away from Penn State and was cost effective for going to a football game. Nice pleasant staff and good breakfast selection. Room was a little outdated and bathroom could use refreshing. But all amenities worked and room was clean. Did not try pool or exercise room. There are some fast food options very close by.

Not surprised to see CLFD BW receive high praise in The Progress. We were fortunate enough to stay here again and took advantage of last minute cancellation for a first-rate stay. Nice to meet you, Belinda. You and your staff are number one!

The check in process was great both times we stayed here as was the breakfast selection and cleanliness. It seems apparent this property puts effort and thought into who they hire and their training. Top notch experience both times we stayed here.

This hotel is very conveniently located just off Rt. 80. It has many meal options, national retail stores and gas stations nearby. The queen bedroom was clean with 2 queen beds, desk with chair, upholstered chair, dresser, TV, microwave and refrigerator, lamps and digital alarm clock. The closet had real hangers that you could remove, not those dreaded non-removable hangers. The bathtub was shiny and looked very clean. The bathroom toiletries are higher end quality, Made in Canada. I was very pleased with the breakfast offerings of: hot custom made pancakes, eggs, meats, biscuits, gravy, 3 types of cereals, oatmeal packs, hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, milk, almond milk, coffee, tea, hot chocolate mix, juices, bagels, toasting bread, English muffins. This is much better than pre-packaged grab and go options. The breakfast room was pleasantly decorated and kept clean and sanitized by an attendant. The only negative is the lower quality TV in the room. The TV is too small and only 32" and the video reception is poor quality. The hotel needs to upgrade their entire TV system, even in the breakfast room TV. Bring your own downloaded entertainment if you cannot tolerate low quality video on the TV. I did not use their fitness room or Wi-Fi, so I cannot comment. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for its convenient location.

Excellent! Best hotel overall that we have stayed in for the past few years! Could not have been any better! Staff, cleanliness, comfort, breakfast, and price. We will definitely visit again in the future on our travels up North!

Came here with a coach tour of 50. We arrived late due to construction, but the front desk personnel were all smiles & welcoming. Room was very nice & spacious. Carpets clean. There was NO musty smell! Towels were thick, toiletries top notch. Breakfast the next morning was well done with a good variety offered. You can tell the employees take pride in their job. The only con is some deferred maintenance. Would definitely recommend it.

I used to stay a lot in BW hotels, but it's been a few years now. This was a most wonderful return to BW. Easy to find, friendly receptionist. She upgraded me to a suite! Very nice King bed room. Coffee facility, clean, all you need. The hotel has a swimming pool and great hot-tub! Tried both and enjoyeds. Breakfast was very nice. The lady in charge surveilled everything and kept all neat and tidy. Great place to stay. only draw-back is that you hear the traffic on I-80 in the background

We were on our home from Connecticut to Ohio and just needed a place to crash for the night. The check in was efficient and quick. Breakfast was more than we ever expected. And EVERY employee was above and beyond any expectation. I wish you were located somewhere that I frequented. Anyone staying anywhere near this location should definitely stay here!!!!!

Pros: Close to highway interchange with restaurants and convenience stores, clean and comfortable guest rooms. Cons: Shower difficult to drain. While our time spent here was brief, we were left with positive impressions of the property. Nestled in rural Pennsylvania, the I-80 interchange has restaurants and convenience stores like Sheetz for meal and snack options. The Best Western is easy to access and is in a quiet area off to the side of the highway, which made it perfect after a long, hectic day. Our room was standard for upper-tier Best Western properties- pleasant and simple with lots of storage, a useful work desk, and comfortable beds, Everything was clean and worked as needed with the exception of a shower drain that required being held open to drain the tub- a minor inconvenience when four people need to bathe in a short amount of time. That minor inconvenience aside, we certainly wouldn't mind spending more time here next time in the area.

Had a great experience here while visiting Benezett to see the elk, would definitely stay here again, good distance from various sites. Clean hotel with a good breakfast, indoor pool and hot tub was nice as well.

Staying at the Best Western in Clearfield was a very enjoyable experience. From the first phone call for a reservation, to check out they treated you like you were the most important guest they ever had. Everything at the hotel was clean and neat and everyone was friendly and help.

Hotel is located right off I-80 with lots of restaurants nearby. Room was clean and comfortable with a newer decor. Staff was friendly and helpful. Our room had a refrigerator, microwave as well as free toiletries and hair dryer.

First time at this hotel and it risky exceeded my expectations. I was traveling with my new cat. They have pet friendly rooms and even gave me cat treats. The room was great and I liked the amenities. Getting in and out of the room to my car was also really easy which is important when traveling with petsI had a wonderful sleep too. Wonderful hotel and I'll be back.

The hotel is clean, well kept, and the employees are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good we definitely enjoyed the coffee and biscuits, and its sit down and fully opened. The room was clean and up to our standards. We will be visiting this specific Best Western Plus in Clearfield again.

First time that we stayed at this hotel in Clearfield and we were very impressed. The room, king with a sofa sleeper had plenty of room. AC unit was one of the quietest I have heard in a long time. Only problem was parents who let kids use the pool and hot tub unsupervised, even though sign says children under 18 need supervision. Next time in Clearfield we will be staying here.

This is our go to hotel when we are in town visiting family. The hotel is very clean, The staff is very accommodating and they have the best shower pressure then most hotels we stay in. I would recommend this hotel to anyone in the area looking for a room.

Clearfield was our layover heading to Florida. The Best Western was perfect. We were greeted by the hotel manager Belinda who explained all of the amenities the hotel offered. Ginger checked us out the next morning and knowing about our flight out of State College, PA she made sure everything was on time for our travels. Stopped by to visit my old hometown. Ginger at the front desk could not have been more accomodating. All the staff was great. Beautiful view out our room window #328. Hot breakfast and strong shower. Pool and hottub out of service, and would have liked a table and chairs in the room to eat at, but, overall, a great stay.

This is a comfortable, friendly and clean hotel. It's a good value for the money and the location is a perfect mid-point on a trip we make several times a year. There are enough restaurants in the area to provide choices.

I stayed one night at the Clearfield Best Western traveling through Pennsylvania. The hotel was bright and clean. The breakfast was packaged, but they had options to microwave. The staff said they had looked for the tastiest microwavable breakfast options and my son and I were not disappointed. Very clean and comfortable.

Very pleased with this hotel. Very clean. I've stayed in a lot of hotels. Some only do “surface” cleaning but behind the furniture or under the bed/furniture is dirty. Not here. Everything was clean and well kept. Not super worn. Nicely decorated hotel. Great value for price. I would definitely return. Great location right off I 80.

Excellent hotel with clean and well appointed rooms, good internet service, and a very helpful reception staff. Unfortunately during this visit, but totally understandable, during all the Coronavirus issues still in effect, the self- help breakfasts were choice limited, and required having breakfast in your rooms.

This has been our go to 3-4 times per year and it never disappoints. Everything is clean, spotless clean, the grab and go breakfast is even steps above other places with many choices. We switched to this hotel randomly a few years ago and will not stay anywhere else when we come to the area. Thanks for always being great!

This Best Western Plus was a very cozy and comfortable hotel right off the highway in Clearfield. The room was extremely spacious and clean, and the fridge and microwave were nice amenities. The beds were great, and I enjoyed the view from my third-floor room. Also, Ginger at the front desk was very kind and helped me enjoy my stay. I felt at home immediately!

Tonight I was looking for a hotel for my husband and I to stay in over the Valentines day weekend. I called a couple of hotels including both The Best Western and The Holiday Inn. I normally do not post reviews prior to visiting a property. But, Ashley, who answered the phone at the Best Western could not have been more informative, pleasant, and gracious. She listened to my questions , was informative and welcoming. The representative I spoke with at the holiday inn, which was my first choice, seem to have cared less about my inquiry. Her answers were short and offered nothing. I booked my room at the Best Western!! Excited for my stay!!

Stopped for an overnight on my way driving from Chicago to Connecticut. There is always a concern with this COVID situation. The hotel was spotless and the employees helpful and friendly. Great place! It is right off the highway also- could not be more convenient

My husband and I booked this hotel as a result of their Travel Safe measures and high reviews on safety. We were not disappointed. The lobby and room were clean and the hotel staff are so friendly. I agree with the reviewer who said the shower was like having a private masseuse! The boxed breakfast offered peace of mind and fuel before more time on the road. I'm so grateful to the hotel staff for everything they are doing to keep guests safe and comfortable.

Took a cross country hunting trip and needed a place along the way (including my Dog). Front desk was extremely accommodating, even provided a doggie bag of treats (for my dog) at check in. Hotel was Covid clean, and tidy, bed super comfortable, room spacious and quiet. When I checked in the front desk looked at the clock and said you made good time (as they knew where I was when I called to make the reservation). Overall, an excellent stay

On my long drive to Ohio, I decided to stop for the night at a place better than the cheapest room, like I usually do. This fit the bill. The room was comfortable, quiet and clean. The other guests were respectful. And this exit offered plenty of choice, as well as a Walmart to pick up some car food for the second half of the journey.

Traveling in the Covid era brings a whole new standard of how to judge a hotel stay. This hotel was spotless are far as cleanliness. Staff on check in was smooth. The ability to reserve the pool area for an hour is a major plus. Pool was clean and hot tub was working. Room was very clean. Probably the worst thing I could say is whatever they clean the tub with created a VERY slick film on the tub. Almost wiped out. After the first shower it was gone. Breakfast bar, in normal times would be poor, but adjusted for the times was acceptable. There could be a bit more variety, and the coffee was very weak. Overall a great overnight stop, and if in the area again i would stay here again.

We traveled with a group of motorcyclists for a foliage weekend and the BW+ was just what the doctor ordered. Ginger checked us in quickly and gave us the rundown on breakfast. She also gave us a recommendation for the restaurant across the street (see 120 Pub and Grub review). The pool and hot tub were available by reservation, which we did and enjoyed. The room was very clean and well appointed. We couldn't have picked a better place to stay for a great weekend!

Stayed here two nights as we explored the local area and the surrounding mountains. The hotel was clean! Stayed in 105, first floor handicapped king room. Clean room, comfortable bedding and convenient to the highway, Interstate 80. This is a pet-friendly hotel, so if that bothers you, you may want to ask questions ahead of time. We are a two golden retriever family, we love animals. HOWEVER, when I am away, I really don't want to be kept up by a yapping dog in the room across the hall. We had no idea until this happened. The owners were not around and the dog was not happy. He was crying and yapping until they returned Saturday evening at 10:30pm. The next morning it started again when they left the room for breakfast. Speaking of breakfast - it's grab and go so I was a bit disappointed with that as it wasn't made clear on the website. I was expecting a waffle however, all things happen for a reason and we ate breakfast at the Dutch Pantry restaurant just down the street. TERRIFIC food and great service. Front desk staff was only seen at check in. Each time we came and left the hotel (a total of 5 times) we never saw anyone at the front desk. Housekeeping should be commended as the room was very well kept and clean upon arrival. Upon arrival we asked for recommendations for dinner. They didn't seem super knowledgeable so I used Trip Advisor and Google and found Pub & Grub across the street. Good food and convenient.

This was my second stay here during Covid, I felt comfortable with their precautions taken which led tot his second stay. Clean rooms clean comfy beds. Absolutely love that they have their poo, open and only able to be reserved for your party to make sure covid precautions are put in place with cleaning the area after every use. Will definitely stay here again and have already referred my friends.

We had a great stay at this location. Scheduled time at the pool due to Covid precautions. Room was very comfortable and staff was great. The only thing that I felt could have been better was breakfast, I understand with COVID things have changed but could have been handled better.

The hotel was very clean and the reservation for the pool area was very welcome. We had the whole pool and hot tub area to ourselves. We didn't have to worry about anyone else. The only thing that would have made it better, would have been having a major chain restaurant like Cracker Barrel close by.

This is the first time we have stayed in a hotel since the pandemic began. I asked at the desk if everything was sanitized and they assured me it was. We were not disappointed. The room was immaculate. All the staff and customers wore masks. The room was updated and very comfortable. We slept all night and felt so safe. The Internet was fast and free. The breakfast was a bag and carry--but still had a nice selection. I had yogurt, whole wheat pancakes, cereal and milk. My husband had pastries and fresh fruit. Highly recommended

Hotel was very clean, especially in this time of COVID. Would certainly stay back here if ever in the area again. Front staff was so kind and so helpful. The building is updated, rooms are big, very comfortable bed.

Nice stop although there was a group of motorcycles parked overnight under the hotel veranda where riders gathered to smoke at night and morning. The bikes caused only one lane to be available to other guests for drop off and loading. There was plenty of room in the parking lot, so not sure why hotel allowed the motorcycles to park at the entrance limiting access. Rooms comfortable and clean. Bag breakfast offered while no hot breakfast was served during Covid-19 restrictions.

Although staying in clearfield longer was unexpected, the staff was more than happy to accommodate us with last minute details. We will be back to enjoy the hotel in the future.!! If every hotel was like this I would travel alot more!

I'm sure these things were due to Covid as the room was very clean and we got on the third floor it was quite quiet so that was what you really want in a hotel the staff was very polite just disappointed about the pool hours we got there at 5 o'clock and they had closed at 5:45 probably due to cleaning for Covid but it was a disappointment worth mentioning you're also the continental breakfast they did have things that would be for breakfast it was just very few things like there was three pieces of fruit and not much else with one chocolate milk there was a couple of white milk a few yogurts I didn't see any cereal and so my family of 3 ate out and we usually eat breakfast for free . A bit of a disappointment It would've been more hospitable to of had some of the tables open and then make them 6 feet apart I think there could've been a few more items enough for at least a family.

I stay in motels quite often and in times like these is was a pleasure staying here. Most places mow have pools closed but here you can set up a time and have it to your self for 45 min is was great staying

Excelent place to stay. I'm here 4 to 5 nights every week for work. Beds and pillows are extremely comfortable. Rooms are very quiet. The fitness room is nice for a little cardio each day to get your excercise.

The staff are always smiling hardworking polite and happy. They are willing to help in anyway they can. They made us feel comfortable and safe. The rooms are clean and accommodating to the needs of the guests. I recommend staying here. Everything was great.

This hotel was comfortable, clean, and featured an excellent full breakfast. Small but well-equipped fitness center. Staff accommodated our late arrival and directed us to local shopping. Right off the highway and near shopping and restaurants.

We had planned on staying at this hotel on our drive across country because they state on their website that they are pet friendly and change a $20 or $25 for your dog. However, when I went to check-in they said that they had rooms but only have 3 rooms are pet friendly and they where all occupied. So, they refused to check me in. There is nowhere on their site to make a pet friendly reservation. Don't bother staying here.

Have had better breakfasts at other best western hotels. Worms in pool prevented pool excercise. Tread mill a bit on the Used side but equipment usable and efficient. Room very clean and staff was wonderful.

I found this Best Western to be nice and clean. My stay was very comfortable and pleasing. The breakfast area was clean and well attended. Food was hot and filling. The staff was very helpful when it came to giving directions in the area. I will stay here again.

Whenever possible, we try to stay at Best Western Hotels because we have always found them to be as step higher in cleanliness, room furnishings, easily accessible internet service, a helpful and cheerful staff, and a very nice breakfast included at a reasonable cost. This particular Best Western Plus Hotel happens to be located just off Rt. 80 in Clearfield, Pennsylvania. The location also happens to have several very nice and reasonably priced dinner restaurants near to the hotel, and some within walking distance.

Very large room. King bed was wonderful. Wish the TV was larger tho. Internet seem to be ok. I didn't use it much. There were several eateries close at hand. Walmart right down the road. A few gas stations.

After a stay of several nights at a ghastly run down Best Western Plus Hotel In Bensalem, PA, this hotel was a breath of fresh air. The rooms are spacious, the hotel is clean, and in very good condition. The breakfast room is very nice, but the food offerings seemed to be a little more limited than when we stayed here two years ago. The hotel is very conveniently located just off the interstate, and easy to find. There are fast food restaurants and gas stations close by.

We stayed at the BW hotel for 2 nights in October. Everyone was very kind and accommodating and the property was well kept. Breakfast foods were average although prepared well. Nice pool, exercise room and whirlpool. Nice rooms with fridge and microwave and lots of space. Liked the free night deal!

BW's are generally a good choice as was this location. Directly off the I80 it is easy to get to. One attraction is that it offers pet friendly rooms which is what we needed. Unfortunately, the room we had been assigned "had not been cleaned recently" to quote our front desk reception clerk. This was evident with the strong odor of animal urine. They were very accommodating and came straight away the spray with air freshener. It definitely needed a thorough cleaning. Something else we found disconcerting was the coffee maker in the bathroom. Not ideal. Although the tub & surround looked quite new the shower head was rusty & calcium encrusted. Not sure why this wouldn't have been replaced. The hot breakfast included had a good variety of the usual fare. Even a pancake making machine. This location has a fitness room which is well equipped. Also a small indoor pool & hot tub. The hot tub clearly needed to be emptied and replenished with fresh water judging by the layer of foam & scrum covering the surface. These deficiencies were brought to the managers attention to be addressed. We were offered an adjustment to the charges which was fair, however, we declined. We just would like to see some improvement should we visit again.

The ambience of the hotel is good, room is clean, bathroom has enough items and bed is comfortable. It was just a night halt on the way to Niagara Falls. The breakfast was very basic but tasty. The staff behaved well. Overall for the price we paid it was a reasonable hotel.

Property is convenient to I-80 and well maintained. Had a comfortable nights rest here for a fairly reasonable rate. Certainly worthy of consideration if in the area and looking for a place to stay. Property offers an indoor pool and fitness room. Breakfast was decent and the breakfast hostess worked hard to keep everything stocked.

There may not be too many reasons to stop in Clearfield, but I can tell you that the local brewery and the Best Western are definitely two very good reasons to stay. This location is convenient, very clean, has ampule parking and is close to several hiking trails and a great local brewery. The drive up 80 is breath taking, and like I said, Clearfield is a great stopping place before leaving Penn.

We stayed here in August 2019 with my boys as a stopover towards Minnesota. They were pleasant at the front desk and check in was quick and easy. Our rooms (we had 2) were clean and comfortable. BTW great breakfast. The location of the hotel very easy off I80. I would absolutely stay here again. Affordable and clean nothing more you can ask for.

Most disgusting room ever! I would never stay at a BW again. The odor of urine in our room was so overwhelming we were gagging. Absolutely disgusting and unsanitary. The wood furniture was sticky and the postage stamp of a tv didnt work. Gross, dirty, unsanitary hotel!

I had stay at Best Western Plus Clearfield near I80 on a road trip back to NY. Room is clean and price is decent. Hotel is just off I80 and there are lots of restaurant nearby. Breakfast has lots of choice. It is very good choice for road trip on I80.

We were traveling home and needed a convenuient place to stop along the way.Good availability of basic restaurants, and our boys enjoyed swimming in the indoor pool. Breakfast was good, in a spacious and well tended dining area.

This hotel was clean and had the best shower pressure. We had our cat with us and booked a pet friendly room. The room was clean and did not smell like pets. We had a really good experience and plan to stay at this hotel on our return trip.

Came for our family reunion. Stayed two nights. Staff was friendly and helpful. Wish breakfast had longer hours. Travelling with young adults and teenagers that don't wake up very early. But overall a great trip.

We stopped there with our 3 children on a 2 day drive to our vacation destination. The room was hot when we got there so we turned the AC on and it took about an hour for the room to reach a comfortable temperature. The room and bathroom were clean. The beds were too hard for our liking so we didn't sleep that well. The pool area was great. Breakfast was good and the breakfast staff was very kind.

This hotel is good and clean and with a good location. Close to the interstate and close to downtown. The prices are comparable to the other places around it. There are good restaurants nearby with no menu items to choose from.

This hotel was such a pleasure! We were on a geocaching trip with another couple and they were pleased with their room as well. Our room (301) was large and immaculate! Check-in was quick and easy, every desk clerk we encountered was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was ample and the attendants were on top of it, keeping it clean and stocked. We used the hot tub which was really needed muscle relief after long days of geocaching. The air conditioner sounded like a very gentle rain which was much appreciated white noise and helped us sleep. We used the WiFi to log our caches from the day and there were no problems there either. Great Stay!

The Best Western Clearfield Hotel is the best buy for what you get in the central Pennsylvania area. It has an upscale atmosphere, with a very courteous staff, and exceptionally clean rooms with very comfy beds! Also available on site was a pool and exercise room. We really appreciated having a nice breakfast in a nicely furnished area with a fireplace before getting back on the road.

We made the reservation on the road. It was a pleasant experience. The evening clerk was extremely pleasant and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. We used the hot tub enjoyed it. Breakfast was good although I like waffles more than pancakes.. over all a great experience.

I stayed at this hotel for work related purposes. I found the hotel to be clean, quiet and they had a great exercise room. What came as a shock, however,was that to be able to stay in a non smoking room I had to pay a surcharge. Being from Ohio where there is NO smoking allowed in any hotels this came as a surprise to me.

This property is a 5 star! The staff is always friendly. It is always very clean (the rooms and the common areas) They make you feel "at home" from the time you walk in the door! For the first time we used the jacuzzi, it was so relaxing! You won't find a better place to stay in the area!

Good basic hot and cold breakfast choices for a variety of tastes. This isn't gourmet cooking, but considerably better than what I've had the misfortune to experience at other hotels. Pool and hot tub area was well-maintained and water was a nice temperature. Fitness equipment was basic but worked well.

Our family of 4 stayed here during a trip to Michigan for the holidays. The room was spacious and had two walls with windows (corner room). The beds were comfOrtable, my kids loved the pool, and my husband the hot tub. The staff were friendly and breakfast was nice. This is our new favorite hotel at a great price to stay during long trips.

My husband and I were traveling with friends and stayed for one night. It was extremely clean and comfortable. Ashley greeted us and was very nice to me when I had to call to report some unruly guests making a lot of noise. She apologized profusely and provided excellent customer service. When Ginger took over she also assured me she would handle it. She eventually had to have police escort them off the property. She also gave us an over 50% discount for our inconvenience. Best customer service we've EVER had at a hotel!! Our dog gives 5 paws!! Thank you Best Western for being so awesome!!

I always look forward to staying in this clean, modern, comfortable hotel. There is always plenty on the breakfast menu to start our day. The beds are comfortable, with plenty of pillows. Having a refrigerator and microwave are a plus.

Our family stayed for one night on our way back home. We just needed one night staying by the I-80 and this hotel was perfect by location and the rate. Clean, Comfortable Room/Bathroom, Friendly Staffs, Good but standard Breakfast, Reasonable rate. Great for one night staying by the highway.

On our way to Cleveland, Ohio, my husband and I stayed at the Best Western Plus in Clearfield, PA. It was a marvelous choice. It is right off of Interstate 80 and some nice restaurants. The property, itself, is meticulously maintained. The common areas are immaculate as well as our room/suite. We were greeted warmly by two lovely ladies at the Front Desk, Belinda and Melony. Both were extremely professional and accommodating making sure we were well taken care of during our stay. Breakfast was plentiful and good. The breakfast room was lovely. In the evening, Sara was also very warm and welcoming. We have stayed at Best Western hotels for many many years, both in the United States and in many countries in Europe. This particular Best Western was top notch and outstanding in every way. We highly recommend this hotel.

Wonderful hotel! We needed a place to stay ASAP, as we had run into quite the downpour and it was after midnight. Ginger was able to get us a room quickly and was very friendly and professional. The lobby bathrooms were not only spotless, they also smelled great! The room smelled fresh and the linens were soft and comfortable. The bathroom is large with lots of (much needed) amenities including makeup remover, a big bar of soap, and great smelling shampoo and conditioner. The A/C was quiet and functional and even though we were right next to the elevator, there was NO NOISE! This was both a shock and a delight! The stay was absolutely worth the price. If I'm ever passing through Clearfield again, I will definitely stay with the Best Western Plus!

Very friendly staff, rooms clean and the bed was comfortable. We will stay here again it was less than 30 minutes from Benezette where the Elk are. Alot of restaurants close by too.this is a great location to start your vacation from. The pool and gym were also very clean.

We liked everything about the place. It seemed newer, clean, nice people, great rooms, good location, nice breakfast room. We can't think of anything that wasn't outstanding. We really appreciated the check-in person and her suggestion for dinner. The check-in and check-out process was seamless.

My brothers had a birthday so I went to visit them They live in State College, but this BW has an indoor pool, so I opted to travel a little out of my way. Super happy I did, I ended up booking a room for my bros because the experience was above expected.

Only complaint was tub stopper didnt go down and stay put for tub bath then had almost ankle deep water with showers. Regardless, we will stay again.

This is a very nice hotel! Very friendly staff. We have stayed a couple times here now and love it every time! It isn't overpriced either. The rooms are always clean and the bathrooms. Always a good breakfast

I would not recommend this hotel for someone wanting comfort and quiet. It was booked full and as a result rooms were not available at 5 pm. They did not honor my room request and moved me from first to third floor. Breakfast was a joke. Pancake machine broken, people lined up to get food and it was push and shove. Finally left. Pillows are something to be desired as other reviews state. Overall, a three out of ten rating.

This place has mastered everything except comfortable sleep. A hard bed and 4 identical pillows, all large and inflexible, made it a long night. Otherwise, pool and hot tub, convenient location, nice staff.

Check in staff was pleasant and offered a free upgrade to a suite which was very nice. Suite room was clean and spacious but nothing too fancy. Small couch and sink, microwave, fridge, and coffee maker in the room. Pool was nice but the hot tub water and bubbles were brown and dirty. The pool area is open till 11 pm. Breakfast had many options form biscuits and gravy to make your own pancakes. Ice machines are only on the 1st and 3rd floor and our room being on the 2nd was slightly inconvenient. Upon check out the bill I received was $10 over what I had agreed to pay (booking online). I brought the issue up to the front desk staff and she said she would correct the bill and would email me a new receipt, however that never happened.

this hotel offers exactly what you need on a road trip. It was clean, efficient, had a fridge, microwave, close to the highway and any amenities that you might want while travelling. I would definitely stay here again! Nice pool area and breakfast choices.

It was just fine. We stayed her for one night. Our room was clean, and the service was fine. The breakfast is also okay with the thought of the prize. (the pancakes were pretty dry). All in all, an okay and affordable hotel.

My granddaughter and I headed out for a couple of days, headed to Hershey. Clearfield provided a midway break, and she reviewed our AAA tour book for lodging ideas. We decided on the Best Western Plus. This turned out to be a fine decision. The reservation process was easy, and the rate was good. The staff were friendly, and the room was very clean. We were also pleased to have a (warm) indoor pool and hot tub. The continental breakfast was also fine; my granddaughter especially liked the cinnamon rolls, and I liked the coffee. I wish that our lodging choice in Hershey had been that good! It's not the hotel's ‘fault', of course, but I do wish we'd found some nicer dining closer by. We didn't want to drive too far and ended up with fast food.... Good hotel for anyone driving through this area.

We loved our stay in Clearfield, PA Best Western. Very clean and friendly place to stay. The staff was very helpful and nice. We were able to do our wash and get a good dinner at a local restaurant. I was very pleased with the amenities-breakfast was great.

We made a reservation early Tuesday morning with the Best Western Hotel for a king size bed, pull out couch, and a pet friendly room. We were taking a family vacation to Michigan from Connecticut with a 15 month old baby, a 15 year old teenager, and an 8 year old dog. We were trying to take a break at the half way point because traveling with a baby and a teenager has its own side effects. Just as we were heading out the door we received a phone call that our confirmed reservation was not available, and their establishment could only give us a non-pet friendly room with a long size bed, a desk, and a chair. I mean I guess our son could sleep in a desk chair. He's a teenager and has probably slept in weirder places, but what about our dog??? The lobby. The hotel said we could cancel our reservations and call other nearby hotels. Sure as we're driving we'll get right on that. I'm sure their will be plenty of pet friendly hotels available in the next 6 hours. Stunned we contacted their corporate office only to receive empty words of apology and a bonus $25 voucher. How generous of them, that surely made everything better!!! As a family oriented business we were baffled as to how easily they could screw us over. As a result of their blatant error, we now have to have our 15 month old in the car a lot longer than necessary, and we have to drive into the early hours of the morning. In all seriousness, after taking with their corporate office they could care less about what they have put our family through, but I want future guests to be aware of Best Western's Reservation practices. I hope if you make a reservation they honor it and you do not have to go through what we have gone through.

Very clean and updated. Good breakfast setup and dining area. Fitness center was good too although the water cooler dispenses chemical tasting water. Good value overall with restaurants within walking distance.

I stayed at this hotel for 1 night earlier this month & had a wonderful stay! I was driving from Chicago to NJ & wanted to stop along the way, and this hotel was a perfect stop right off the Clearfield exit on Route 80. My room was clean, comfortable & very spacious. I got a great night of sleep and was allowed a late check-out the next morning. Easy hotel to find off of the highway as well! Thank you for a great 1 night stay, I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area!

My daughter just relocated to Cleveland, Ohio. We are from New York and decided to take the 7 - 8 hour drive, but we stayed at this Best Western 4 hours into our trip and it's right off I-80. We also had out dogs with us, and they are pet friendly. We LOVED this hotel! It is immaculate and everyone is so polite and accommodating. This was our 2nd trip to her, and we followed the same routine as the first time around. It was perfect!

We decided to stay at this BW, last minute due to the proximity it is to Quehanna Wildlife Area and Stephenson Dam. We could not have been more pleasantly surprised. First off, we needed somewhere to stay that would also allow our 2, well behaved, Australian Shepherds to join us. Best Western Plus, Clearfield, was one of the ONLY HOTELS IN THE AREA THAT ALLOWED PETS. In fact, others in the area SAY, they allow pets but only allow SERVICE ANIMALS. Although, BW requested we paid $20 a night for the boys, that was just fine with us, one fee, 2 dogs....yay!!! When we pulled up, we were pleasantly surprised. The landscaping was very attractive, the parking lot well lit and the grounds were clean. (If you're traveling with a trailer or something big, the lot could be an issue, as it's laid out a little weird.) The staff, from the moment I directly called to book the room, was very courteous, welcoming and polite. The hotel itself is relatively new, kept in very good shape (especially for being in a more remote area of the state.) Our room was sparkling clean, did not smell of other previously visited pets, as I assumed it would. The dual Q sized beds were comfortable, clean and the sheets smelled fresh. The pool, fitness room and common areas are easily accessible, (although they request you not to take your pets in those areas.) The complimentary breakfast was fantastic, and had a plethora of items to choose from including hot foods such as: bacon, sausage, eggs, pancakes and sausage gravy and biscuits. The food was very good!!! The common dining room was spotless, as was every other area of the hotel. We would stay here again if in this area, and would recommend it to anyone, pets or no pets. Overall, this was a great experience and a really nice, easy, relaxing stay. Met the General Manager, by accident at the desk after breakfast and complimented her on a job well done. Thank you Clearfield PA, Best Western Plus, we will be back!

This is the 2nd time we've stayed at this hotel to break up a long drive. We actually drove a little longer than we planned just to stay here instead of rolling the dice on another hotel. The hotel is kept very clean. It looked like all new rugs in the halls and in the rooms as well as the curtains. The bathroom was also very clean. I take the stairs for a bit more exercise and the stairwells were also clean and well maintained. Beds were comfortable and breakfast was more than adequate. There is also a small refrigerator in the room which is helpful. The staff were all helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you need to stop in the area.

Great hotel in small rural town. Room was spacious, clean and quiet. Decent breakfast daily and snacks sold in the lobby are reasonably priced! Staff was really friendly and offered great options for places to eat. The tv in my room was not high definition, but the one in the dining area was. I'm sure if I had asked they would have come and looked at it but it wasn't a big deal to me. I would stay there again definitely!

The staff was friendly and helpful, moving a luggage cart for me because I have mobility issues. The room had a special tub bench on hinges which was the simplest yet most helpful adaptive device I've used in months, better than at home even! The hot tub was clean and warm, and any amenities I had forgotten the hotel had available for me. Highly recommended.

Room was good, but the hot tub was not hot at all. The breakfast food was all WAY overdone. The biscuits were very hard and the gravy was like gelatin. Eggs were overdone and the pancake machine made pancakes that tasted and felt synthetic. Other than that...was a great stay!

We stop at Clearfield several times a year on our way back and forth between NJ and MI. This was our first time using the Best Western. The front desk staff and the breakfast room staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was typical hotel fare, but the staff was really a step above. We will be staying here again.

I stay here every time I visit my family in the area. It's always clean, the staff is always friendly and they always offer to accommodate my dog. If you need a place to stay on 80 this should be your top choice.

We had a long day driving through PA with tons of traffic and then poor weather as we drove through the mountains. Best Western Clearfield was a welcome stop along our route that offered us shelter and a very comfortable place to rest ourselves. Breakfast was great the next day and got us fueled for the rest of our journey home. Thank you Clearfield staff!

Pick up those hotel coupon books at the highway rest stop and get a great price on a room here. Easy check in/check out. Clean room, well appointed. Breakfast was ok. Avoid rooms over the pool or may hear some screaming kids. I would stay here again.

Very clean and well maintained. Unlike many of the hotels in PA, no residual smoking odor. Comfortable bed and sheets were nice. We all slept well here! Breakfast had a little something for everyone. Staff was very accommodating and helpful. Will definitely make a stop here next time!

Great place but when you see the families at the pool and breakfast you will know what Im talking about. Easy on off to the highway and a great brewery just up the road. Food was ok. Staff was very nice.

We sometimes stay at this well-above-average hotel when returning from Ohio to visit our daughter at college. It is very clean and reasonably priced, and located right off I-80 near gas stations and some chain and local restaurants (although nothing great). The breakfast is mediocre but in line with most other free breakfast hotels. The staff is helpful and pleasant. I didn't use the pool or hot tub, but did use the fitness room, which had just a few machines but was fine.

Ugh I can go on and on about how I loved this hotel and my stay!!!!! .. The breakfast was finger licking good !!! No one judged you when you walked up to get more because it's so delicious... If anything the breakfast attendant lady encouraged you to eat as much as you like ... The rooms were spacious, oh so comfortable beds ... Nice jacuzzi nice pool.... Very spacious.. housekeeping was on top of everything ... Great service...never been to a hotel where everything was just perfect ... I wish I can come back. :( I had to ask my boyfriend which hotel it was we stayed at again so I can write this review lol. But thanks for the great service ... I was so sad when I had to leave because this was literally a home away from home for me. Front desk were amazing too ?????????? greeted us so nice... You guys are awesome x 10000000. This hotel was very clean. The help was polite and helpful. Bed was super soft. I would highly recommend staying here if you in Clearfield Pennsylvania. Room was very homelike. Plenty of good choices of places to eat near by.

Had 2 rooms side by side, one with queen beds and one with a king bed. The rooms were awesome, very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Was across the street from the fun zone which was an added plus. The front desk staff were awesome and funny.

The BW hotel was easy to find and access from Route 80. We were traveling with another couple to the area and found the hotel accommodations very nice. The rooms were clean and up-to-date. The staff were very helpful and professional. The hotel is in an area with several choices for restaurants and also fast food choices. We stayed here while traveling north for the day to Benezette, PA to see the Elk and Visitor center.

This is a great deal. Well kept new hotel with a pool and hot tub. Would be a great one night getaway for a family with younger kids to get out. Breakfast was good and the room spacious. The bathroom was spacious also and the staff fantastic.

I recently stayed at this Best Western for 5 nights. I have nothing but compliments for this property from the housekeeping to the hot breakfast. My room was always clean and made up nicely when I came back in the evening. The front desk staff was very friendly. I felt like I was being greeted by friends when I came and went. I requested a quiet room as I am a light sleeper, and the room they assigned me to fit that request perfectly. There is a nice sized fridge in the room as well as a microwave. Beds are comfy. There is a very nice breakfast in a large room each morning. I mention the room size, because I have stayed at places where there is never enough seating for breakfast. Not the case here. I would definitely stay here again if I ever need lodging in Clearfield.

We were on a trip from NJ to Illinois dropping my daughter at college. We stayed in 4 different hotels on our journey. This was BY FAR the best of all of them! We don't often travel, but this was THE BEST ever!!!

My husband and I and our two dogs stayed here on our way to visit family over the holidays. The hotel is conveniently located off I-80 with plenty of restaurant choices nearby. My first impression was great; I called the hotel directly to make a reservation. The woman who answered the phone was helpful, friendly and professional. I have a long name and while giving her my usual details--name and credit card number I didn't have to repeat a thing, which rarely happens. She answered all my questions about bringing our dogs ; it was such a pleasant experience in this day and age to get a professional, knowledgeable person on the phone! When we arrived with our dogs we were warmly greeted and checked in quickly. The room was spacious and clean. I liked the laminate wood floor in the bathroom rather than freezing cold tile. Breakfast had tons of choices and there was fresh fruit, oatmeal, yogurt and cereal if you prefer more healthy choices. We'll be back the next time we're in the area with our pooches. Thanks for a great stay!

My wife and I look for a reason to book at thiis Best Western in Clearfield and have not been disappointed with any of our stays. While other name brands in the area might have an equal pull to book with them, we have chosen to stay with this Best Western because of their friendly yet professional staff.

The Best Western in Clearfield used to be a Holiday Inn Express, so it has all the amenities (except those cinnamon rolls) that you would expect from that chain. Rooms are huge and well maintained. The breakfast room is large and relatively quiet for a hotel breakfast area. There is an indoor pool and an exercise room that are open until late at night.

The room was more than comfortable. Pillows were great and everything was clean. Sadly I was on the side of the hotel facing the car wash and restaurants. My room was light all night plus lots of traffic noise. I was too tired to make a fuss about it. Breakfast is your typical buffet, nothing for the vegan or weight watchers community. That's to say I threw out my diet and ate eggs and sausage. For dinner I made the short drive to Sapps to try Aunt Lu's Cafe. Delicious dinner, I recommend it!

The hotel and amenities were fine but there were not enough bedclothes on the bed and we found it cold. There was only one scruffy looking blanket between two sheets as a cover. We could not get the heating to work at all. Internet was fine.

First assignment in Clearfield and I found this location online. Perfect choice for all my expectations were exceeded. The staff members I encountered were polite and professional. The property was clean, current decor and comfortable. Perfect for both business and pleasure.

From the moment we arrived at the checkin desk were were made to feel at home in this meticulously clean hotel with everything sparkling. It has a new feel to the spacious room. An excellent breakfast was provided in a stylish dining room. This was a perfect stay.

If ever I have the opportunity, I will stay at this Best Western Plus again. The staff were all very nice and each of them had a smile on their face, which makes me like a place even more. On the first stay, the two reps at the desk were very helpful when we asked information on the parks nearest the hotel where we could walk/hike. Our room was fantastic. On our second stay, we had the same great experience. The room was equally clean, updated, comfortable beds/pillows and spacious just like the first time we stayed. Very welcoming upon entering the hotel. Clean and bright. Lots of parking in a well lit parking lot. The breakfast was best I have ever seen. Lots of variety and choices. Especially for the price, this is an excellent place to stay. I hope to return there in the future.

My husband, my daughter and I wanted to go to Elk Co. to see the leaves changing and the elk roaming. There are not a lot of places to stay very close but we stayed here at Best Western in Clearfield. The hotel and employees were very nice, breakfast was better than most with good variety and the room was very nice. We had 2 queens, a large desk and refrigerator and microwave. The rooms were quiet. We were on 3rd around the corner from the elevator and never heard it or others all evening. There are restaurants within a few minutes drive. The best was Denny's Bar and Pub. We would stay at this hotel, again..very comfortable and well kept.

This Hotel was great. New, Clean, and Easy Access to the Interstate. Large Breakfast Room, Pool and Hot Tub. Price was lower compared with other comparable hotels, and well worth it. Elk Country Visitor Center was an easy 30 minute drive away. Definitely would stay here again!

My wife and I don't usually stay at a Best Western as we most often stay at either a Hampton Inn or Marriott. However, on our recent trip to Elk County PA we couldn't find any open reservations at either of these two hotels. We eventually found a room at the Best Western Plus in the same area. We were extremely satisfied with everything about this Best Western. The room was immaculate, the breakfast was great and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Our stay at this Best Western has changed our minds on where to stay on future trips. I recommend to anyone looking for a room in Clearfield to try the Best Western.

I had heard about the rebranding efforts at Best Western, so I was eager to try this hotel. It is very clean, convenient ( right off I-80). There are several food options in the area. The room was very quiet and the bed comfortable. The room was large. I had the king bed room on the 3rd floor. Though I didn't use these services, There is a pool and small fitness center available from 6am to 11pm. The included breakfast was great with plenty of options. The staff was courteous and helpful.

Excellent location, plenty of parking less than 1/2 mile from I-80. Check-in and check-out were fast, no delays or issues. TV channel selection was great and the breakfast was one of the best of any of my hotel stays this year.

We were driving from Toronto to Washington. The hotel is perfect for a stop overnight halfway between Toronto and Washington. Great location from highway, especially if you are travelling onwards to another destination. Loved the pancake making machine in the breakfast room. Very comfortable sleep as usual from Best Western.

This hotel is a good hotel. With not a lot of noise, a gym, pool & hot tub, excellent continental breakfast, and nice rooms, this hotel was very good. The things the chain has to offer was great, however, the employees here aren't. While they're friendly, they seem rather lazy and a bit understaffed. Our room was missing a lightbulb so we went down to the front desk, and we got it 30 minutes later. The cleaning staff doesn't do a great job, especially in the bathroom. They left soaps from previous people, missed cleaning the bathroom, and completely missed the hazard located in the room above the toilet. The light fell out of the socket and is currently melting the plastic case over it (shown in the picture below.). Overall, this hotel is located in a great place and I would stay here again, just be careful with the elevator.

Comfy bed, wifi, micro wave, and mini fridge, good breakfast and the room doors were soft close, what more could you ask for? The check in staff was very friendly and helpful. They were able to give us directions to a grocery store, which was very close, so we could have some fresh fruit and snacks.

We stay at this hotel a couple of times a year on business trips. The staff is always friendly and the rooms are clean and neat. This recent trip we ran into a problem with the room they gave us. It was a non-smoking room but when we entered the odor of cigarette smoke was very strong. We went to the front desk and asked for a different room. The manager upgraded us to a king suite. We were very happy with the new room. The breakfast as usual was very good. Eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, fruit, cereal and more. So much better than others that only offer some pastries.

2nd visit to this property in several years. The rooms are clean and spacious. Staff friendly and attentive. Pool/hot tub was clean and pleasant. Breakfast had lots of options. We will be back again for sure.

This was the perfect hotel for a one-night stay on a cross-country trip! The staff was incredibly friendly, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast (especially the coffee!) was excellent.

I've seen so many BW hotels close world-wide, but if one of the US sites is considered for closing/sale to another chain, do NOT sacrifice the Clearfield, PA BW+ location. I am one of many customers whom have expressed the convenience and atmosphere of this hotel makes long-distance traveling SO easy to deal with.

EXCELLELLENT! Staff very professional, friendly accommodating and genuine. Facility had new Luxury Vinyl Plank floors that were stunning. The flooring and decor in the hotel was very warm welcoming and inviting.It was a difficult trip to begin with but the staff made it so very pleasant. I really enjoyed my stay and hats off to Sarah who really helped make our stay so very nice.

Friendly staff, the room was a nice size and very clean. The beds were comfy - I thought the pillows were great. The location is very convenient with shopping and restaurants close by. The breakfast was good. They had a variety of hot and cold items. Nice pool and fitness room too. Nice quiet area.

What a great surprise! I was raised in this area and was pleased to find such a nice place. The sleeping area (2 queen beds) was large comfortable (AC worked well) and clean. The bathroom was also large and clean with a good shower. Generally the hotel was well taken care of. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, could have used more cut fruit for my taste. But experience over all was excellent.

Nice people , nice pool, easy access to hwy. We stay here every time we come to Clearfield. They gave us a room away from the main road when we asked for it. Hot tub temp was perfect...pool was just right.

We were not sure that we would ever stay at a BW after a recent terrible experience. We were surprised in many ways. This property offers many amenities and has a very friendly staff. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Breakfast included an assortment of items for all ages. The fitness room and the pool are well maintained. Thanks to the staff on duty for the recommendation of Denny's burgers. Worth the trip.

The hotel is spotless, the beds were very comfortable and the room was spacious. The pool and hot tub looked very inviting although we did not use them.The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast included some hot items and had a nice variety to choose from. The location is good, right off the highway with restaurants close by.

Arrived near 11 PM after a very long drive. Check in was simple and friendly. Parking easy. Room clean Plumbing a little loud, but the cleanliness of the bathroom was excellent and made up for it. Breakfast was simple and had a very helpful attendant. I would stay here again.

Stay kind a friendly but doesn't make up for sub par Room and sofa bad that was unsleepable and slept only one person. Breakfast was more like a snack and had only tea or coffee to drink. Granola bars and small Muffins to eat plus oatmeal.

We stay at the Best Western Plus any time we visit the area. We have never had a bad experience and always recommend it to others. The rooms are large, clean and the wifi is good. Breakfasts are not as good in the Clearfield one as we have experienced in other BWs but adequate. Pool area is quite nice and exterior is well lit and spacious.

Beds were very comfortable and the shower was great. These were the basics which is all we needed. Breakfast was good. The place was and surroundings were very comfortable. Located near interstate. Restaurants nearby.

Almost 5 stars - clean, well-appointed, friendly staff. Appreciated pool and hot tub being open 6:00am until 11:00pm. Breakfast was pretty good, although eggs were not the best. Overall a very good value.

Use as a last resort. I travel extensively for work and usually stay in Hilton's. Was attending a family reunion and due to the fair the Hampton Inn was already booked. This hotel smelled of cigarette smoke. Inside the halls and the room, even though they were clearly marked as non smoking. Breakfast was very plain, and they served the same thing all 3 days we were there. They inflated the price of the hotel because of the county fair going on at the time. Was not worth the money. Would highly recommend another hotel and use this one as a last resort or keep driving.

This is a very very nice hotel, great staff, nice rooms,we slept great ! Everyone was very helpful and efficient. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone traveling in that area !

We had moved about 2 hours away from this area and was here for a concert. This hotel had the best price so I was pleasingly surprised how the rooms and breakfast area are so nice. Large breakfast room with seating area. Instead of waffles there was a pancake machine that my granddaughter tried and approved, less mess and waiting time. Good hot breakfast for me and coffee. Standard 2 queen room with a larger bathroom. Grandkids spent all their spare time in pool. All areas CLEAN ,friendly desk personnel, quiet and plenty of parking. Several places to get gas or eat and close off I-80.

We were looking for a hotel to stay for a half way point from Ohio to Philadelphia. This hotel fit in that category and the room rate and amenities were perfect. Room was clean and spacious. We had two queen beds and microwave and refrigerator. Pool was nice and so was hot tub. Shawn at front desk was so friendly and nice, he is sure an asset to your hotel. Breakfast was nice and while I didn't catch the name of breakfast girl she was so kind to everyone asking her about gluten free and other food options. While it was busy she still stopped what she was doing to help answer their questions, she was so helpful and was always busy stocking and wiping things up! If we pass through again I would stay here again.

The staff went out of their way to accommodate my trailer to make room for it and they were very friendly. Rooms were clean and lobby area was clean as well. Over all was a pleasant stay. Would Recommend to stay at a Best Western again

Staff was friendly, decor great, bed very comfy. The breakfast was a bit hum drum, but dining room was clean and staff was on top of things. Very nice decor, too. The king bed room was not available when we arrived, so we were automatically upgraded to a king suite. Bedding was soft and bed was comfortable.

This is the Best Western we ever stayed at. The staff was just great , cheerful and very pleasant.The rooms and the hotel overall was very clean. Breakfast was very good and the girl that handled the dining room was outstanding. She did a fantastic job making sure that there was never a shortage of food and constantly cleaning the dining room. A big plus for the hotel. The management should be very proud of their employees. You can tell that they take great pride in their work. They should all be commended for the great job they all do. Very nice looking inside extremely clean. Very friendly and helpful personnel. Price was below average, great value. The only things I would suggest to improve on (but don't let these stop you from staying) was the bed was kind of hard, and the breakfast (while very good) was the same every morning.

Came from ct to visit family. Got there at 5:30 at night and was told by a girl at desk that our room wasn't ready and needed to be cleaned. Then she told us that our pullout mattress on couch had to be removed. I asked her for a cot she said they didn't have any(even though on website it says they did) she was no help or anything at all So there was 5 of us in 2 queen beds. Very uncomfortable. Breakfast was ok. Same thing everyday though never changed. Only ate it 3 out of the 7 days because I got sick of eating the same thing.

I booked a room online through the Best Western website, and recieved a call 10 minutes later from the front desk. The lady at the front desk called to inform me that my reservation was cancelled and she had given our room to another person who had just walked into the lobby to book a room. Very disappointed since we were just down the street when she called. It was our first experience with Best Western, and I will never book with them again.

This is where I always stay when I visit my family in Central PA. It is always very clean and the beds are very comfortable. The location is perfect with lots of food options around you. They have a pretty good breakfast spread in the morning which saves us money. You get a lot of bank for your buck!

Rooms were ok, but clean. Breakfast was lacking a bit and wasn't replenished when most of the food was gone. He fitness center was good with good exercise equipment. They don't have weights though so it was hard to do my regular routine. Would definitely stay here again.

This is good choice for an overnight stay. Appreciate that the hotel is pet friendly and the staff very welcoming. Hotel is conveniently located. Room was reasonably clean, comfortable and quiet. All appliances in the room were in good working order (refrig, coffee maker, hair dryer, microwave).

Great rate for BW Rewards member! Excellent staff from receptionist to housekeeping and breakfast staff who were all professional, friendly, personable and very helpful. Room was clean and very well laid out, with comfortable beds and any kind of pillow you may want! Checkout was efficient and no hassle. Evening receptionist provided us a typed list of local restaurants and typed directions to each!!!

Definitely worth staying here if your travelling through the area. Seemed relatively new. Its modern and the staff is very nice. Rooms were clean and very comfortable. Nothing much around the area as an attraction but again, if your travelling and want something nice for the price this is it.

Had a great stay. Very clean rooms. Good shower. First hotel we stayed at that had an elevator, no dragging luggage up the stairs. The desk staff was very friendly. The only negative was that the continental breakfast ends early at 9:30. Most go to 10

This place is consistently clean and well organized. They welcomed my pit bull with a biscuit. The rooms are in great shape and everything works the way it's supposed to. Wish I'd had time to have the grand kids over to the pool. Staff is friendly and helpful.

We stayed here 2 nights after staying in some Iffy places because we needed a smoking room. Now I do understand about how horrible smoking is and how just the smell offends a lot of these people who leave reviews on this site, however I am not going to stop staying in nice hotels who still offer smoking rooms just please some people. I have read on non smoking websites where people are encouraged to complain about smokers and the smell every time they stay somewhere smoking is allowed. It's just a shame folks have to treat others like that. Anyway this place was like a little piece of heaven! Thank you so very much to all the staff who went out of their way to help us. We truly appreciate you and the very hard work you all do. The room was clean and the desk help was friendly and efficient. Again, thank you.

We have stayed at many different places while traveling. For Clearfield, we feel that the Best Western there is the best place you can stay. Everything is set up just right. The indoor swimming pool and the heated swirling waters in the spa, as well as the super duper breakfast make this place very ideal for travelers. We enjoyed the unexpected friendly conversations with other motel guests, which just goes to show we weren't the ONLY ones who liked staying there.

Will definitely stay again. The in-room amenities such as shampoo and conditioner could be of better quality. the rooms are great and there is even a hot tub that I wish we had time to use. Overall, a wonderful experience.

Frankly, staying in a pet room gave us some concern. Were we or our dog going to get infested with fleas? As it turned out, we would never have known this was a "pet room." There were no stains on the carpet or on any of the furniture. Additionally, we found no dog hair or pet odor in the room. The room was conveniently located close to a door which made it very easy to take our dog outside. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Best Western Plus and would definitely stay here again.

Great stay overall! Highly recommend! The shower was the best! They even had hash browns at breakfast. The lady at check in was super friendly and thorough! The internet was a little tricky at times, but logging out and back in helped with the internet.

We have stayed at this location for several years -- from a few years before it became a Best WEstern Plus. The staff is friendly and helpful, the breakfast is outstanding, and the beds are comfortable. It's located very close to I-80 and to US 322. We were here last July (I think) and were back again this year for the Memorial Day holiday. Our stay was enoyable -- no problems! We'll stay here again whenever we're back in Clearfield County.

We found our stay to be delightful. The hotel was clean and well appointed. I found the beds to be comfortable with a selection of bed pillows to fit our needs. The staff was more than helpful with places to eat, things to see and do and making certain our stay was pleasant in every way. Nothing particularly special about breakfast, but there was plenty to eat and the dining area was clean and the food stations tidy. Overall, we were very happy with this hotel and will stay here again on our way to NY to see our son. We highly recommend you give it a try!

I'm originally from Clearfield but live out of state now. When I come home to visit I always bring my 50lbs dog with me. It is so hard to find a nice hotel that's also pet friendly! I was fortunate enough to have a free night voucher for this stay and only had to pay the $20 pet fee. Totally worth it to know the hotel staff actually WANT the dogs there. I have had many terrible experiences with other hotels making statements like "I really wish we would stop allowing pets." Best western plus Clearfield is my go to place! Oh, and their breakfast is pretty good! Sausage, biscuits and gravy... yum!

Wish we could have stayed longer. It was a good stopping point for our journey east. This is a lovely, well kept hotel with excellent staff and facilities. One of the BEST of the Best Western chain. Since I used points I really can't comment on value.

Very disappointing! Chose this hotel because there was a hot tub. The hot tub however was not hot, it was uncomfortably cool. Otherwise, rooms were very clean. Small lobby-no outside sitting which would be nice in warm weather. Pleasant breakfast room.

Stayed overnight on the way to Ohio front desk staff Melanie who could not have been nicer went out of her way to give me the emergency room address because I hurt my ankle and then the next morning gave me her personal lotion because I had none for my feet the place was spotless clean and the breakfast was delicious I highly recommend this Best Western you definitely get your value for your money thanks again to Melanie

Will not stay anywhere but here always clean, always happy stay. The staff team are very courteous and very helpful. Even if you are on a motorcycle they allow you to park in front under the canopy. Will be back!!!

Excellent property. We thought that it was new because it is so well decorated, equipped and maintained. And, the staff is very friendly and well-trained. A source of pride for BW. Other choices in the hood, but this one has to be hard to beat.

This Best Western definitely has more amenities than some other hotels. Large pool and jacuzzi. Great TV living room setup near the breakfast area. Breakfast was great as well. Front desk staff morning and night were great. The only area I would suggest for people to be wary of was about the tub/shower. It seems tubs are getting deeper than the bathroom floors and the edge of the tubs are getting higher too. This is very difficult or nearly impossible for elderly people to be able to use as was the case for my 82 year old mother.

I decided to try out this hotel since I've stayed at two other ones in the area. This hotel has everything one needs at a very cost effective price! Breakfast is great, the beds are comfortable, and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. When you're away from home, it's great to have staff that make you feel very welcome, and this was accomplished 100%. I'll be bringing my company business here from now on!

I highly recommend this Best Western Plus. Accommodations were clean, up-to-date, accessible .... in short really pleasant. The front-desk team was very helpful as was the entire team. Business center, work-out center, pool and great complimentary breakfast made our stay comfortable and easy. I look forward to my next stay and highly recommend it.

This is a very nice hotel, a plus, for service and rooms, they are very very large especially the corner rooms. The front desk is very nice and helpful specially Misty. Only thing is they do not have any taxi or Uber service in this area

We stayed on our way home to the East Coast from the Midwest. We stayed in a pet friendly room as we were bringing our dog along with us. I was a bit disappointed that in addition to the $20 pet fee (which is a bit steep considering other area hotels charge $5-10) that when you go to book on the website the pet friendly rooms are also more expensive than a regular room, it seems like double dipping. The room had a bit of a funky odor we assumed as it was a "pet friendly" room, which you would think for the extra expense all around that it would not be an issue. But overall the room was clean, the staff was friendly and breakfast had quite a few options a bit more than your typical hotel breakfast. If you're not on a budget and have time to enjoy the amenities, I would suggest this hotel. However, if you're looking for budget friendly place to sleep and grab a small bite for breakfast, I would look at other possible better, less expensive options in the area.

My boyfriend and I were happy with our overall experience at Best Western. The staff at the front desk were friendly, and the hotel felt clean and modern. However, I will note that the walls seems particularly thin at this hotel. We could hear a lot of banging from the room above us, and talking from the hallway as well as the rooms on either side of us. Also, I'm not sure if it was just our room or not, but when the shower was on a loud whistling sort of sound seemed to be coming from the pipes inside the wall. A light sleeper would be unable to sleep if a person was taking a shower in the room at the same time. Again, we would definitely recommend this hotel overall, just expect some little quirks.

Check in was easy. The hotel was very clean. The room was spacious and nice. It was nice having a refrigerator right in the room. The bed was comfy. Breakfast was good with a good variety of items to choose from.

I have stayed at this hotel location several times over the past few years. The hotel is easy to access, clean, friendly place and the rooms are finished well, roomie and restful. I usually plan to stay at this location during my travels.

I wouldn't ask for anything more than the perfect stay we got at this location. everything was perfect: Staff, Room, Breakfast, internet speed... I highly recommend this hotel if you are in the area, you will not regret it.

We found this place was the cheapest to stay the night with decent accommodation. Included even a hot breakfast in the morning. I would deff come back if in the area. I have two children and would not go to a dump.

We have stayed here twice. Both were times we were booking "on the road." We usually have at least one pet with us so finding an acceptable, relatively inexpensive hotel is sometime a challenge. We stayed here n May and then, serendipitously, in November. Both time the staff were friendly, professional and went out of their way to be helpful. We will DEFINATELY be back when we go through the area again.

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was very comfortable, with nice decorating. We got a very nice recommendation on a great place to eat, and the staff could not have been nicer. The facilities were excellent, including the fitness room and the pool.

It is quite annoying and unhealthy to have to walk thru cigarette smoke to enter and exit the hotel via the main entrance. At the very least, the smoking area should be moved across the driveway and enforced. Given the proximity of equivalent and quieter motels, we will use one of those on next family visit rather than checking to see if Best Western acts on the suggestion.

The Best Western Plus Clearfield, Clearfield , PA Is a great place to stop and rest or take a break from a long trip. We have stayed here before and like the hotel. Our main reason to go here was to see the elk, which we did. We also visited some of the attractions in the area and found that our two day trip to go fast. We have stayed at the Best Western before and will be back again.

We've stayed here twice when traveling to CT with our dog and they place us in a perfect location in the back by the door! Rooms are comfortable and clean.. Location is great - just off the highway. Friendly front desk with quick and easy check in.

Clean & comfy for the end of our trip. We had stayed at various mom & pop inns on our trip, but decided to go with a chain hotel for our last two nights. What a treat! The floors didn't creak, the decor was 21st century :) ...we appreciated the protein offered at the breakfast buffet as well (eggs, yogurt, peanut butter).

Stayed here for one night. Although this hotel was slightly pricey, it is definitely worth the money and is the best hotel in the area. They accepted my discount travel coupon and gave me a very nice room. The bed I slept on had of the most comfortable mattresses I have ever slept on. The ladies at the front desk were very helpful and accommodating. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Great location just off interstate 80, friendly helpful staff. Was offered a complimentary upgrade to a suite at check in. Hotel was immaculate, room was perfect! Bed was comfortable, hotel was quiet. The free breakfast was great! Will definitely stay here again when passing thru the area.

We visited Jim Thorpe Pennsylvania and stayed in Clearfield on the way home to Ohio. We wanted to see the elk herds. The staff just couldn't be nicer, the hotel was very clean with a nice work out facility and jacuzzi and pool. Warm breakfast bar is included with the room plus 24 hour free coffee and tea. We would stay here again.

Had reviewed TripAdvisor numerous times for a hotel to stay in on way to cruise. This Best Western had great reviews and great prices. All reviews were accurate. The staff was great. Our rooms were immaculate. Breakfast had a variety. Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay again.

We were very happy with our stay at the Best Western Plus. Check in was a breeze and the staff was friendly. We were very pleased with the room. It was clean and had a microwave and nice sized refrigerator. The only thing I was disappointed with was the breakfast. Eggs were burnt, sausage was hard and they trays were almost empty.

I would recommend this Hotel to friends when they travel to that area. We were surprised however that you only have one adjoining rooms suite-we have stayed at many hotels over the years and most have more adjoining rooms

Because I am at time dense, I was heading to Erie to pick up a motorcycle. Totally unaware that Penn State was playing Temple at home. So after a long day at work, I picked up my friend in Reading. We headed out around 7 PM. Needless to say, traffic was nothing but paw prints on the rear of cars with a few Owls thrown in. After passing State College I ask my friend to check Clearfield for a Best Western. In the sticks of PA, she called and they said they had a room. We arrived shortly before midnight. Check in went smoothly and the room was stone quiet. The bed was extremely comfortable and 6 hours later we were back on the road very well rested. Easy to find and parking was simple and easy with a crew cab dually truck.

Very attentive staff. Friendly and clean hotel. What a breathe of fresh air. Stayed at the Hampton inn my last time in Clearfield and after staying here would not think of staying anywhere else. Kudos to the hotel manager. One of the best customer orientated staffs I have ever encountered on a hotel stay

I love this place. Quiet and comfy. Every need met. I like the business room for working with computer and printer. Taking a break for a dip in the pool and the hot tub. Perfect! Breakfast in the morning was awesome. Loved the atmosphere and the food too!

This was a great hotel to stay in for our overnight. The location is nice as it is close to the interstate and some shops and restaurants. The staff was one of the nicest I have come across at a hotel. Everyone was so welcoming and engaging to chat with. The breakfast wasn't bad for a standard hotel breakfast, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The price was also very reasonable. We happened to be there on a home Penn State football game weekend. If you were to stay in State College, rates are about triple+ and two nights are required. We were able to stay for one night. I know its about an hour drive from State College if you are attending the game (we were not); but a good option for those who have to drive that route to and form anyways (and there were several game people there). Also pet friendly, so a plus! I wouldn't have known it was pet friendly until I saw a dog. Hotel rooms had no trace of them.

We traveled to see family and brought our small dog. The hotel is nice and I would not hesitate to book it again if we are driving in Western PA. I love being able to get breakfast (coffee) in the AM and get back on the road quickly. Fee for animal is reasonable.

Had a very enjoyable one night stay here on September 4th. The staff were very helpful and incredibly friendly. The room was large and very clean as was the bathroom. This is very well kept property and I've have no problem staying here again.

BW at Clearfield, PA is in between the East Coast and the Mid-West for drivers and I would imagine that makes it a popular overnight location. The place is immaculately clean, the staff is attentive and knowledgeable and the price is unbeatable.

This place is an unexpected gem in a kind of backwater town. Quiet, clean, newer, and spacious. Helpful, friendly staff. We were taking a break from our road trip, and the comfy respite was a very welcome relief. The shower was amazing!!!! I would recommend asking for an extra blanket, the one on the bed was very light, and we woke up cold. The included breakfast was a nice idea, but mostly inedible. If you are picky, you may want to stick to toast and prepackaged peanut butter, jam, or yogurt. There was fresh fruit too. We had dinner at St. Charles Restaurant in town. This was an attempt to avoid fast food, and that mission was accomplished nicely. I would recommend the Delmonico steak. Slightly overpriced, given the odd, diner-like atmosphere and hopelessly low quality wine, but better than Wendy's!

Clearfield was halfway on my road trip, and I chose this hotel based on the TA reviews. It worked so well I stayed again on my drive back. It's easy access from I-80 with lots of food nearby. You can walk across the parking lot to Burger King if you don't want to get back in the car to get dinner. Plus, it's $20+ less than the Holiday Inn so good value.

We only stayed here for 8 hours- arriving at midnight and departing at 7:30am - but was impressed with the courtesy, cleanliness and well appointed and comfortable room. Nice fridge, coffee maker and large bathroom. Comfortable beds with lots of pillows! An adequate continental breakfast, with a little of something for every taste.

I stayed.for one night at this hotel for a business trip. I couldn't be any more satisfied. Very clean room, clean pool, great staff. I enjoyed how clean the breakfast area was and how attentive the hotel was in keeping items stocked and the coffee full.

Nice , clean , modern entrance. Room was clean and modern. Bed was very comfortable. Best shower I've had in years. Checkout was easy. This particular Best Western was nicer than I expected. They are franchises so I did not want to experiment with another on my return leg, so I booked the same location.

This hotel was great for an overnight stop. Easy in off from I-80. Did not have road noise. Shower had great water pressure. Breakfast fairly typical for this type of hotel... Something to please most.

Stacie and her staff were kind, courteous and extremely helpful during our stay in Clearfield, PA. Traveling from Michigan we stayed at the Best Western on our way to New York. We were so pleased with the staff, service and Hotel we made it a point to stay there on our return trip. When we did, we found it to be once again a very pleasurable experience. We most likely will stay there again when we travel east. We have since shared our good experience with family and friends. Oh, and don't skip the breakfast. It was so much more than we expected. Overall? A++

Spacious rooms, spacious bathroom. Clean and well maintained. Equipped with Coffee making facility, fridge and microwave. Well working air conditioner, and strong wifi in room Counter staff very polite , smiley and friendly. Breakfast items well replaced. Can't say much about location as this is a place one would stay as a stopover and not to look for activities around town. Overall, a Good place to stay!

Best place to stay when in Clearfield, PA. I've tried all the others and this is the cleanest and nicest place. If you can book ahead you can save 20% which makes it even a better deal. I haven't tried any of the restaurants around the hotel, but I did have a pizza delivered to the room from Scotto's pizza (hope that is the right name) and it was excellent. I would stay here again.

I checked in with my cat and was greeted by an extremely friendly and helpful person at the front desk. The room was extremely clean and the bed was super comfy. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it. My choices were limited as I was traveling with a pet, but I would stay here again with or without my cat. There is a super Walmart right up the street, and it is right off route 80.

Very comfortable, clean, and friendly. Couldn't ask for more! Hot tub and pool area were very nice, and a welcome amenity. Hot breakfast also a big plus! Very good value for the money. We'll be moving Best Western to the top of our list.

We are always looking for a comfortable bed when we are traveling,we were driving home from Indiana ,when we looked on tripadvisor for a good price for a room for one night. Well we found it great price ,and very comfortable bed and that's important,especially if you have driven hundreds of miles. Great breakfast too,eggs,sausage,cereal ,etc. if we ever drive that way again we will go there for sure. Also very clean.

What I liked about this motel was that it felt a bit homier than most, didn't have the air conditioning blasting when we walked into the room, and the breakfast choices were varied. The breakfast room itself was very nice, with windows looking out onto the steep hill behind the motel and various kinds of seating, including a sofa in front of a TV. It was such a pleasant change from most motel chains. On future trips to the east, I would definitely consider staying here again.

Our family stayed at the Best Western Clearfield, PA when we were in town for our family reunion. Staff was great and our stay was quite pleasant! Our request for "two rooms close together - not on the smoking floor" was granted. We will stay again in the future.

If you're crossing Pa on I 80, you have a number of choices of where to stop. This hotel is clean and well-run while being less expensive than most of the competing hotels on the route. It has a pool, fitness room and free internet. Breakfast is a little skimpy, but otherwise it offers similar value to a Hampton Inn or Holiday Inn Express at a lower price.

Greeted wish kindness . The receptionist recommended to go to Denny's Beer Barrel for dinner. Which is another review . He was dead on about that. We all bragged about the shower , how much water pressure was great, and even HOT water. . no regulator.

We decided to break up our drive home by stopping in Clearfield, PA. We stumbled across this gem in our research on TripAdvisor. It was a good location at a very good price. Check in was quick and the desk worker was friendly. The room was excellent and offered everything that we needed. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean. Our only complaint would be the noise we heard from the road in our corner room. Semi-trucks use their engine brakes as the head towards I-80 on Clearfield Shawville Hwy. The breakfast room is very nice and the food was good. There is an automatic pancake maker. Overall, a very good stay.

We received an excellent reception upon our arrival here. This is an immaculate facility, right off of I-80 and is very reasonably priced for the quality. There was adequate a/c in the room, but no fan in the bathroom. :( Breakfast was pretty extensive with omelets, sausage patties, biscuits, grave, hot and cold cereals, juices, cinnamon rolls, and a "make your own pancakes" machine. For some odd reason, there are fake trees outside the hotel in a strip of stones. I suggest they be more authentic than that!

Clean place, good restaurants nearby and the staff was very courteous. The pool was clean and a good size but its not heated so the water was very cold. The breakfast was also very good. Would definitely stay here again.

Comfortable and clean room, good internet and decent breakfast. I arrived late and left early so only remember that I got a good rest and break from lots of driving. The staff was also helpful and it is very near a great burger place Denny's Grill and Pub.

Very efficient check in, clean establishment(newer). Rooms have everything you need. Hotel located in a town that supports a few other hotel establishments along I-80 so adequate places to eat around. Breakfast acceptable. Nice pool and hot tub. Just fine.

We relocated for work and had a very long drive. This was the last leg of our trip before we arrived at our destination and the hotel was great, with us and our dogs and we had a very nice stay. Our rooms were clean, check in was super easy and breakfast looked yummy although we left in a hurry and didn't get to enjoy it.

When we travel in this direction this hotel is our choice. I have stayed here on pleasure and business a number of times. My first stay was excellent and it still is. Nice staff, impeccable rooms, and a very nice breakfast. This should be a lab or model of how to run a hotel.

The hotel was very clean and the staff members were very friendly and helpful. The king room was spacious. It was nice to have a fridge, didn't use the microwave. There was a comfy chair with ottoman. The free breakfast was standard free hotel breakfast.

Best Western Plus in Clearfield, PA is ranked #1 on Trip Advisor for a reason! It is beautiful, clean, and just far enough from the Interstate to be peaceful. This hotel is in wonderful condition, very well-cared for. I will plan on staying here again.

On a scale from 1 to 10 I would rate my stay at the Best Western in Clearfield, PA a 10. Staff, location, clean rooms, comfortable beds, ample parking, easy access from the highway, all positives. The location was close to restaurants and shopping. The hotel was very close to the job site I needed to be at.

We had a great experience at this motel. It was clean, the pool was nice, the internet connection worked well. The check in staff were very friendly and helpful. My only complaint would be that the water in the hot tub was extremely hot. The breakfast room was the nicest one I have ever eaten in, and the food was good.

This hotel is wonderful in every way!! We are currently staying here for a mini 3 day get away and it is the best choice we have ever made!! The staff is super friendly, employees seem really happy here. The woman at the front desk, I believe her name is Permella, is super friendly!! My only wish is that we could take this hotel with us wherever we go!! Our room is great, super clean. Everything is perfect!! The air conditioning works so well, we actually have to turn it down or off for awhile. Never encountered that anywhere before lol. We also had a wonderful time at the pool and met some other really nice guests. We enjoyed the exercise room as well. Thank-you Clearfield Best Western!!

The Best Western in Clearfield PA is a great place to kick back and relax. It is clean and tastefully decorated. The staff is very friendly and helpful...like family. The room are comfortable. The pool and hot tub are so relaxing.

Went to check in, we were greeted with smiles and courtesy we were very tired, they were very pleasant to get us checked in, in a timely manner, but at the sane time was giving us all the help full information that we needed to know. The rooms where extremely clean and nice smell every time we came back to the room, The Beds were excellent, pillows very fluffy, loved my stay there will be back in December. This staff will go out of the way to help you.

We've stayed at this location several times. The staff is always courteous and friendly. The rooms are always clean and quiet. The breakfast is delicious. Sadly there isn't a restaurant at this location, but we recommend eating at Denny's Pub just down the road.

We stopped for one night at this hotel ---It was a great choice --room very nice --breakfast very good -friendly front desk and best of all --very reasonable --we would definitely stay here again -We always stay on the first floor to have easy access to coffee --its good and available all the time

On a road trip from Chicago to Boston, I stopped here at this hotel, which proved to be about halfway on the journey. It was a great stay. The room was more than suitable for my needs: spacious, clean and quiet. I did not take advantage of any of the extras like the pool or the fitness room. The included breakfast was not very vegan friendly either, so that's my only compliant. Well, that and the wifi was not great. Nevertheless, I would happily stay there again and would not need a road trip to Boston as my excuse next time.

Hotel staff very welcoming and helpful. Continental breakfast was great and it was quiet. I could not hear neighbors and I was worried I would as there were little girls I could hear in the hall in the room across from me, but once in my room I couldn't hear them. My only complaint seems a similar issue in the hotels is the pillows were so uncomfortable I had issues sleeping.
