Best Western Plus Columbia River Inn

My husband and I stayed here 5 nights while travelling through Oregon this spring. The hotel is very nice and in a great location along the Columbia River. The views are breathtaking and they have a nice little patio overlooking the river to relax at the end of the day. They offer breakfast in the restaurant beside the hotel, with a nice menu to order off of, included with your stay. There is also a coffee machine in the hotel for anyone to use 24 hours a day. The best thing is the staff. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly and greeted us every time we walked in after our daily travels. They asked where we had gone and made some great suggestions for the next day as well. They couldn't have been nicer. We want to thank each and every one that was at the front desk during our stay. You all were wonderful to deal with and made us feel like family.

Enjoyed my stay. Friendly and helpful staff. Decent breakfast, clean & functional room with a great view overlooking the river and mountains. *Though it bothers me not, if you don't like the sounds and vibrations of a busy railroad, then be warned!

The views this hotel offers are amazing! It is always a must that my family and I get a river front suite. Whether day or night, it's always so great to see the Columbia River right through our hotel suite windows.

All staff were helpful and friendly. Hotel lobby, room and pool were clean and upkept. Large room, relaxing view and comfy bed. Bunn instant coffee/cocoa machine in the lobby pleased our whole family! Hotel provided delicious full sit down breakfast next door which made our stay an even better value.

4TH floor looks right down on the Oregon side of the Columbia river Gorge UP main line and a siding you can see well from the window or balcony. Then across river you have a great view and can hear very well the east west mainline for B.N.S.F. in Washington state. They have ear plugs in the room if you need them you are staying in the wrong Hotel. Was freezing with window open but nothing like the sound of one freight train after the other in the middle of the night.

Stayed 1 night in a water-view room with balcony: Older hotel, but room was clean. Room had a Keurig coffeemaker and gave vouchers for breakfast (special menu) at the Cafe next door. There was only 1 or 2 options for dinner. The cafe next door was closed on a Friday night?? There is a railroad track right beside the hotel. Not a lot of hotel options in the area. They wouldn't honor my reservation I booked on the BW website so you might want to call to book. (I did get this resolved when I got back to AL and called BW customer services) Don't miss visiting the Multnomah Waterfall. It's only about 15 min away. Right off I84.

My agency had a meeting in the area and booked us rooms. Checkin was awesome the staff were so helpful and accommodating. It was like staying at a friends home rather than a hotel. Clean comfortable rooms, friendly staff, can't ask for anything more when traveling!

This hotel is situated in the village and offers magnificent views overlooking the Columbia river and the Bridge of the Gods. We spent 3 nights in a double queen room with river view. Must mention that there are 2 rail tracks - one between the hotel and the river and the other on the Washington side. Large freight trains are regular - mostly on the Washington side during our stay. However, have to say that despite their closeness they did not bother us much and we slept OK. The hotel does provide earplugs in each room should you require them. Our room was very comfortable and the bed was great. Shower was also good. The toiletries (shampoo, etc.) provided were excellent - the best of all 8 hotels we stayed at during our tour of Oregon. WiFi - reasonably good signal throughout our stay. TV not so good though with lots of channels sometimes unavailable. Front desk said this happens during bad weather. Breakfast - you receive a voucher to have it at the restaurant next door. There are about 8 items you can select from. Choice ranges from granola with yogurt & honey to pancakes & crispy bacon. You are allowed 1 item. Staff in the hotel are really friendly and helpful. Pool - nice temperature and the spa was lovely and warm. Dining - there are only a few options available, it is a small village. The Bridgeside where breakfast is served closes at 4pm. On the other side of the hotel is Brigham Fish Market (closes at 6pm) and Thunder Island Brewing (opens late). We ate at Brigham and Thunder Island (twice) and both were very good. Overall, a really enjoyable stay.

We were out touring Hwy 84 in Oregon and chose this Best Western to stay at. The room was ready when we checked in and we opened the door to a very clean room with a wonderful view. We were in room 405 and it had a view of the might Columbia River. I was a little concerned when they provided earplugs, especially since the train tracks ran just below the hotel. However, I have to say that this was the best sleep that I had in a long, long time. The bed was so comfortable, and the pillow was just right, and not once did the train bother me. You receive vouchers for breakfast at the Bridgeside restaurant. We decided to hit the road early, and passed on the breakfast. One word of warming, this hotel is located in a very small town, the latest the restaurants are opened is 5:30, and this was on a Saturday. So you need to plan accordingly. Luckily, we were able to get something before they all closed. We would definitely stay at the hotel again!

What a beautiful spot. We very much enjoyed our stay at this oasis in the night. It was up to date, very clean, quiet and comfortable place to read our weary heads. The front desk staff was very helpful and their recommendations for dinner were tasty. An excellent breakfast the next morning was in the restaurant next store was included with our room.

We stayed here for two nights while exploring the area on vacation. What a great hotel! The staff is incredible. Super friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and very clean. The view is beautiful. We really enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the evening watching the sunset. Breakfast is a nice change at the Bridgeside Diner. We had a late lunch at Thunder Island Brewing Co. The burgers were delicious and the beer is good. The soft serve ice cream at The Eastwind Drive-in is awesome. We wish we could have stayed longer.

This was a beautiful property. I loved my room with a balcony. It was a very dog friendly hotel, with lots of places for them to get some exercise. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony and watching the river. Trains were a regular occurrence but ear plugs were provided and didn't affect our stay.

Our daughter's wedding was held less than 10 miles from Cascade Locks, and the Best Western was one of the recommended hotels. Very good recommendation! The staff was very pleasant to work with. We had a large room which included two beds and a loveseat, so we had comfortable seating to go with the comfy bedding. The room had a small frig and microwave, too. The room looked really nice. There are great views from the hotel grounds of the Columbia River and the Bridge of the Gods. One extra plus: instead of breakfast at the hotel, we received coupons for free breakfast at Bridgeside, a family restaurant that was a two-minute walk from the hotel. I don't know if my wife and I will ever return to Cascade Locks, but if we do, I'd be quite happy to stay here again.

The hotel is a bit old and dated. However, the views are spectacular! Breakfast is included, and it is a full, delicious meal. The staff was friendly and helpful. Overall, a very pleasant experience. I highly recommend!

We had been up the road at the Hood River BW+ the night before, so it's easy to compare the two. The Columbia River Inn is in a small town compared to Hood River. The outside felt a step down compared to Hood River as the parking area is small and it seems shoehorned into the lot its on. The stay was excellent though. It had rained on us all day doing the Columbia River waterfalls, and I was hoping we could get in early to take a warm shower. They had our room ready, so we checked in at 2:30, which was nice. We just hung out and rested the evening.

We were very pleased with our recent stay at this Columbia River inn. Our room was clean and the staff was helpful & friendly. The location is easy to find & the setting is gorgeous. The breakfast is at the restaurant next door with a nice selection of fresh cooked to choose from. The view at the restaurant dining room is wonderful. The restaurant staff is also friendly & helpful.

The breakfast was very filling and very delicious. The beds were very comfortable. There was a coffee machine that made lattes, mochas, coffee and hot chocolate that was good. The location was very beautiful right on the Columbia River gorge and close to many wineries, waterfalls and attractions. It had easy access on and off highway 84, the main highway along the river connecting Portland to Hood River.

The Best Western at Cascade Locks was a great place to stay. It is in a good location, easy to walk around the town and the hotel is modern, the room was spacious and we loved the balcony with river view. The staff was friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again if we are in Cascade Locks.

Very nice hotel with great view. Breakfast at restaurant next door was great and included with stay. Room was comfortable and clean. Area was nice and seemed pretty safe. No parking for a rig towing. Had to park on street. Only thing that was disappointing is that they jack the prices up on different nights of week. Stay there on our trip thru for $210 a night and then tried to book a week later on way home and it was $360 a night. It is a nice place but NOT a $360 a night room!!!

If I could give Location a 6/5 I would -- awesome view of the river and the Bridge of the Gods, very short walk to Brigham Fish Market and Thunder Island Brewing for great lunch and dinner. I did spring for a river view room, and nothing beats waking up, making a cup of coffee from the room, and enjoying the view from your balcony. The rest of the hotel was just fine, but it's really hard to top that. Breakfast was cooked to order at a restaurant next door. There is train noise at night, but only comes through once or twice, and they do provide earplugs. The WiFi worked great, I did do some work in the mornings, including a Zoom meeting, and there were no problems. Overall, I would definitely return!

The hotels is very clean and comfortable. Rooms are in great shape and every staff member was courteous and friendly. The hotel is well built so you do not hear any traffic or trains or anyone in their rooms above or below. I was able to get a very sound sleep.

We loved our room at the Columbia River Inn. Our view was FANTASTIC of the river and the Bridge of the Gods. The check in staff was friendly and offered us room options. Again we were very pleased with the room and its cleanliness and amenities. The patio on the first floor looking over the river was a great place to watch the sunset while enjoying a beverage. My son loved the pool and we both loved the jacuzzi. It was a perfect mix for both of us. The coffee machine downstairs was perfect for a hot choc for the kid and a tea for me in the evening and a coffee before breakfast next door.

Enjoyed visiting the area and this is the best hotel in the area. Parking was easy and the breakfast offered at the restaurant next door for guests is nice. We didn't know however about the train that literally runs behind the hotel next to the backside rooms on the water. That was a rude awakening for sure but thankfully, it only came through once.

Very clean hotel with spacious rooms. One of the most comfortable beds that I have slept in anywhere. Walking distance to restaurants and cute little park. Hot tub and indoor pool were at nice temperature.

We had a lovely time at this pet friendly hotel. We had a river view room and enjoyed the view. The hotel has leisure offerings such as walk ways and patios and the rooms are clean and spacious. The staff was fabulous!

This is probably the nicest Best Western we have ever stayed in. The lady in reception was so warm and welcoming, and we loved our 2 Queen bed room with the beautiful river view. I had read some of the reviews that talked about noise from passing trains, but we didn't hear a thing. We are so glad we chose this hotel for our one night stay, we were only sorry that we couldn't have stayed here longer.Would definitely come back if we are ever again in the area.

We arrived late at night. Friendly reception desk staff. When we woke up, we were happily surprised to see where we landed! We were driving back from Idaho and thought it would be perfect to stop here and have only 3 hours to get home. Best decision. Comfortable room. We did not use the pool or hot tub but going to the restaurant next door for breakfast (a few options from the restaurant menu were free for Best Western patrons) felt like we were on vacation. The beautiful mountains around, Columbia River outside the fitness center patio and the quaint restaurant next door. We had a lovely stay.

very comfortable hotel in cascade locks, highly recommend river view room, have stayed in both and the view is worth it. this hotel doesn't have the normal BW "cooperate" feel, very small town. breakfast is comped at the restaurant close by, it also offers carryout including dinner. the train passes through regularly, however it was barely noticeable to us, did not interrupt sleep, the in room heater made more noise

A wonderful breakfast while enjoying beautiful views of the river- I had to pull off the Highway in the midst of a blizzard. I was relieved to find such lovely accommodations close to I-84. I wish I could have stayed longer.

Hotel was was right on river and located in perfect location for hikes we were planning and bridge across to Washington for more restaurants. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived but only took about 30 minutes. Staff was friendly and willing to answer questions. We were given vouchers towards breakfast at their restaurant next door for a great breakfast! The only downfall to this area was the very limited choices to eat-over half of restaurants were closed due to shortage of staff. Columbia River Gorge area is BEAUTIFUL and this hotel is great location for it all.

This was not your usual Best Western! We had a King room with a balcony overlooking the Columbia River. The room was huge and everything about it was very nice! It was also very convenient to viewing waterfalls, the fish hatchery, Mt. Hood and the "Fruit Loop" which consisted of wineries and fruit stands.

Beautiful scenery and view of the river. Hotel well kept and clean! Just be aware that it sits above train tracks that run trains thru the night, but they supply you with earplugs if you need them! It was worth hearing the trains to enjoy the beauty!

The facilities were nice, the pool was a good temperature, the staff (everyone we had contact with) was cordial and efficient. We liked the size of the facility - it made things feel more cozy and less corporate. It would have been nice to have the pool open earlier than 7:00 am (but that is not a deal-breaker). It was also nice to go to the restaurant next door for a complimentary breakfast. The restaurant cooked the best over medium eggs I have ever had, and we loved the Native American decor.

The hotel is in a great location for a hiking trip. The room was comfortable, clean, and the hotel staff very helpful. Cascade Locks is quieter than nearby Hood River, but the staff recommended some good local spots to eat. Breakfast at the adjacent restaurant was hearty and good.

It was a great experience, it is very clean and comfortable rooms. The breakfast is really good and the staff are very nice people . We have a good experience sleeping there. I highly recommend this hotel.

This was a great place to stay. Room was clean, very quiet. Staff was courteous and professional. It was a great location with , convenient to Multnomah and bridal veil falls and very close to the cruise lines to go up and down the coast.

Very nice hotel and room, with expansive view of the Columbia River Gorge. We got a balcony room, and it was worth the small extra charge. Railroad tracks run about 50 years from the building, below the balcony. Freight trains operate often, and sometimes made quite a rumble through the room. Did not bother me, my wife was more mixed. Other unusual aspect: Breakfast is served at a restaurant next door. Unlike the typical Best Western buffet breakfast, you order one "item" off a menu that has eight items. For instance, I got yogurt and granola with a small extra charge for excellent toast, my wife had oatmeal. The food was high quality. Location was perfect, near Multnomah and the Fish Hatchery, 20 miles west of Hood River, 40 miles east of Portland.

This is a nice hotel off the beaten path. It was clean and had beautiful views of the Colombia River. I especially liked the off site restaurant where we had complementary breakfast. Good food and again a breathtaking view.

We had a good experience with this hotel in terms of location, staff welcoming attitude. The room facilities were in good function. The Internet was impressively fast and steady. The room was clean to my standard except the window sills. We enjoyed the Columbia River view out of our windows. It was pleasant to have a walk in the early morning along the paved trail beside the river. What I liked best was the clean and all cotton bedding, which had contributed to my good night sleep but nowadays is rather rare in many similar hotels at this level and price. The white bed cover looked clean and right for the season. The only drawback to be on the riverside was the frequent trains just along the two river banks. However, our sleep was not disrupted by the roaring trains. For those light sleepers, they might want to choose the front side of the hotel. Another experience was my unexpected encounter with a small snake on the paved trail by the hotel wall. It was so near to me. But for my family member, I might have treaded on it. I didn't expect snakes in this area and the fall season. A suggestion for the breakfast: Add yogurt and some fruit like similar hotels would be nice. Thank you for the service and amenities and invitation to the review. It was truly a satisfied experience thanks to the management and staff.

We spent a lot of time on our balcony enjoying the river view. Hotel room was nice size. Location was very convenient. Walking distance to several good restaurants. Freeway close. Close to waterfalls. Easy parking. Free breakfast with spectacular views at the restaurant next door.

We stayed one night and were pleased. The hotel is well maintained with good staffing. Our room was ample, clean and had a nice view of the river. We were also impressed with the breakfast that was included, which is served at a neighboring restaurant. Overall pleased with our stay and we would be happy to return. We ended up paying $210 with taxes for a room with a king bed and river view.

Ample parking, a restaurant next door, genuinely nice staff, a marvelous view of the Columbia River and a spotless, very comfortable room. I loved staying here. For dog owners, the doggy area is a lovely stretch of lawn along the river thoughtfully equipped w/a waste station (trashcan and bags). Convenient to Hood River, Oregon and Stevenson, WA. I can't wait to return.

Views and location in the gorge are great. Unfortunately the freight train tracks are 50 feet from the river side of the hotel. Bring a white noise machine to mask the late night train noise if you are a light sleeper.

Beautiful view, friendly helpful staff, and a clean comfortable room. The train tracks seem to run right along the river in this whole area so, any hotel with a view is also going to be in ear shot of the train. This hotel is no exception. They do provide ear plugs. I will say the walls also seemed on the thin side, but most people were respectful of late and early hours during our stay. Overall, a very pleasant stay and to me the many good aspects outweighed the noise.

We stayed in a room with a River View and Private Balcony. This was an excellent room. very clean, fresh and roomy. The staff here were very friendly and helpful. The overall stay was Excellent. The river views are terrific. Right along side the river there is a train track with trains running pretty regularly which makes a slight amount of noise. There is a train running up and down the river on the Washington side as well. I actually enjoyed the trains. Sitting on the balcony having a cocktail, watching the river, occasional trains, riverboat, and beautiful sunset.

A fantastic location on the Columbia River - our room had an amazing view. The staff helped us get into our room a little earlier than the check in - we had a long day of travel from the east coast. Ask for a room with a view - it is worth the extra money!

This is a sweet little motel to find. The room with a view of the river was well worth paying a few extra bucks to stay in. The bed was very comfortable. There are trains that pass by, but it seemed like each train that I heard had slowed down so much that the sound of it on the tracks was more soothing than irritating. The free breakfast is actually a ticket for the restaurant next door. We got up too early to leave so we missed the free meal, but the coffee in the motel hallway was very good coffee (Next time we'll sleep in and try out the breakfast). The pool and hot tub were nice, but the poured exposed aggregate surface around the pool is torture on naked feet when you walk from the pool to the hot tub, so bring some water shoes or thongs.

Best Western has you covered. We checked in after 2:00AM and there was no stores open around there. We need some water so I went down and tried the vending machines and wasn't successful. The front office person helped by providing free water bottles. It is the case if you forget any toiletries etc, they are there to help. You are not charged for such items like other big hotels. Staff is very courteous and cleaning staff very patient and always greet you with a smile.

My daughter and I were looking for a easy place for a quick get away for one night. We were pleasantly surprised at how pleasant the staff was, cleanliness of the rooms and dog friendly as we were traveling with our family furry member. Definetly will go back!

We had no reservation and showed up around 7 pm. We were thankful there was a room available, as we were tired from traveling all day. The room was exceptional. We had a balcony with a view of the Columbia River. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were great. We had a hot breakfast at the restaurant next door that was included and it was fantastic!! I was also appreciative that it was dog friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel and wish we could have stay longer.

We paid for a larger room with a river view which was nice since we stayed several days. The ability to open the window also made it nice for the cooler temps in the evenings. Lots of lights and power outlets. Good table & chairs. Clean carpet. Bed seemed soft, but we slept well. Shower head had some weird selections, but it worked ok. They are still using single-use plastics for shampoo, etc.

Got a riverside top floor room. Great views of the river and the July 4th fireworks. Lots of trains next to us, we love them! Clean rooms and great front desk service! Breakfast at the restaurant next door is included.

Great place to stay for two nights while near the Portland, OR area. I preferred to stay away from the city, and I picked the right spot. Amazing views of the Columbia River. Restaurants were walking distance. Breakfast for guests was provided at restaurant next door. It was great and a change of pace from the everyday continental breakfast. Ordering was quick but getting your food took a little longer as there was only one chef when we ventured there twice; however, view of the Columbia River and Bridge of the Gods mended all of that. Would highly recommend this BW specially if you plan to visit Mulhnomah Falls, Mt. Hood, Portland, wineries, etc.

Our rooom was readt when we needed it and was very clean and comfortable. The dog friendky room was clean to the point that our Pug was happy to be there. The Hotel staff treated us like family, and showed extra atttention on me as I am disabled, thier attention was wonderful

This place is a gem! We wanted to go to Hood River but the BW there was full so we decided to try this place. The town is really small but very quite and the restaurant choices are limited in menus, number and operating hours. Luckily right across the river in Stevenson, WA are a number of better options. Yes, you have to pay to cross the bridge but worth it to us (especially since we reallly wanted a pizza!) The River View room with a balcony is huge and the view couldn't be beat. I'll warn you there are train tracks right next to the hotel but we didn't hold it against them- trains are out of their control. The employees were very nice, recommended a few dishes at the restaurants and made our stay very easy. Will definitely come back!

A very nice hotel with an excellent view of the river. The staff was responsive and friendly. The hotel had all the standard extras (pool, fitness center). There was also a free breakfast at the restaurant next door. The only issue is that there are train tracks on both the hotel side and opposite shore of the river. Trains run all day and into the night; I believe the earliest woke me at 5AM.

Excellent stay. The rooms were clean and the river view rooms had a phenomenal view! There were trains frequently going by the hotel, but that didn't bother me or disrupt my sleep. The hotel does provide ear plugs in the rooms if you are sensitive to noise. Overall, I'd highly recommend this hotel and location. I would absolutely stay here again if I had the choice.

We were so looking forward to staying here again. At first, everything was great, the people at the front desk were friendly and helpful, and we loved sitting out on our deck and watching the boats on the river. They had a nice area to walk around with a dog. We loved hearing and watching the trains, also. Unfortunately, the next morning, one of us woke up with hard, red, itchy bites- bedbugs! We have had previous experience with bedbugs, and know what the bites look like. As soon as we arrived home we fumigated our suitcases, and washed all our clothes, and are still worried that we could have brought these critters home with us. For that reason, only giving 3 stars,

This day was absolutely perfect every employee was super friendly and went above and beyond. My airlines lost my luggage and every single employee there did whatever they could to try to make the situation better. Additionally the views were amazing the food at the restaurant next-door was really good. The hotel is in walking distance to several trails and driving distance to lots of fun activities probably one of the best hotel experiences I have had

This is the perfect spot to rest for the day after exploring the Columbia River Gorge. Be sure to spend a little extra for the 2nd story balcony room overlooking the Columbia River and Bridge of the Gods. This is also along the Pacific Crest Trail Trailhead and many weary hikers take advantage of this oasis along the grueling trail. Bonus to travelers is the incredible breakfast at Bridgeside Restaurant.

Our 1st real trek since 2019 & pandemic era! We are "elderly" by most standards and find that peace/quiet/cleanliness and hospitality to be very soothing at the end of a long driving day. We found all of that at the Columbia River Inn in Cascade Locks, Oregon. We had just completed reading a book written by a hiker of the Pacific Crest Trail, whose destination was the "Bridge of the Gods" in Cascade Locks. Well, we'll never hike, but we would return to the area for rest and relaxation and enjoy our accommodations at this very inn. You should think of it too!! Use it as a hub to explore the Columbia Gorge area. I don't think you'll regret it.

Hotel has several room types. Stayed in a river view room with balcony, worth the extra cost. Great view of the Columbia river and Washington! They offer complimentary breakfast with the restaurant next door. Staff is friendly and food was good. Full menu options. There is a brewery in walking distance that also servers good food. Note: there is a train that runs just below the hotel but not during the night.

Great place to stay by the river with shopping and eating so close by (but the restaurants close early at this time of the year!) My room on top floor had a gorgeous view of the river and valley! Easy access to the Bridge of the Gods to get to WA Hwy14 and a short drive to Beacon Rock!!

I'm not necessarily a big Best Western fan. We usually stay in VBROs while on vacation, but this property was just what we were looking for. Beautiful views and clean spacious rooms. We needed two rooms to accommodate our family and one of them had a balcony which was beautiful. This seems like the perfect place to stay location wise while exploring the Columbia River Gorge. I initially thought the breakfast option of a free Continental to-go bag or a $5 off coupon for a hot breakfast was really strange. However now that we have experienced it, I can tell you we loved it. We all used the $5 off at the family restaurant next door and ordered from their menu. It was great food and a wonderful view while eating. This is where we will stay when we come back to Columbia River Gorge.

Out standing place to stay! Staff was great! Food next door was great! They give you $5.00 per person off. Get the room with a view and thank me later . It is worth the extra money. Great location. Do not eat at thunder island brewing company. I was the worth place we ate on our visit.

I loved everything about this hotel. The location along the Columbia river with easy access to the Columbia River Gorge is amazing. The rooms and property were clean and well maintained. The staff were super friendly and helpful and the facility is pet friendly.

We planned to drive home to Washington from Oregon with our 2 year old, 6 month old, and dog but started having car problems. We decided to stay in cascade locks instead of driving on. The staff was very helpful finding a dog friendly room available in our price range and needs. They even went out of their way to get that room ready before check in time since we were traveling. The room was very clean and nice. Beautiful view of the river and the bridge. They offer breakfast at the restaurant next door also with a beautiful view of the river and bridge and trains! Our 2 year old loves the trains going by.

We stayed one night while visiting the Columbia River valley, and would stay here again. River-facing balcony room on 4th floor. Sound of trains was minimal, and didn't bother us. Room was larger than expected. Bed was comfortable, though I didn't much like the foam pillow. A breakfast coupon was provided for the restaurant next door. Choice of a grab-and-go bag or $5 toward sit-down breakfast. There were two grab-and-go options: we chose the yogurt with granola and honey; it satisfied us. Service provided by hotel staff was excellent and friendly.

This hotel is the best hotel that I have stayed in. Everyone is friendly and warm. The hotel is very clean. Usually, I resanitize the room and bring my own bathing supplies and sheets. i do not have to do this here. The view is beautiful!

Incredibly friendly staff with high knowledge of the area. They welcomed us with smiles and accommodated all our needs. It's a little piece of home tucked away in a remote location. I can't wait to visit very soon.

Nice, clean and very helpful staff with restaurants within walking distance and located along the river. Very relaxing and quiet. Would definitely stay again. At the edge of town with Bridge of the Gods as backdrop. Have a nice indoor pool and hot tub, but pool was not operating during our stay.

We stayed this last weekend at the Best Western in Cascade Locks and it is an absolutely beautiful location. The hotel is walking distance from many different places including 3 breweries and the best fish market to get smoked salmon and freshly made ceviche. Their staff is super sweet and we had a blast celebrating my 13 year old's birthday.

What a place. Great hotel, staff, amenities and location. Only went up from Southern Oregon to visit Multnomah Falls but found so many other great sights. I thought the gale force winds up at Vista House was a treat. After a day of hiking, relaxing in the hotels spa was awesome. The restaurants close by were excellent. We had a 3rd level room with a balcony which gave an impressive venue of the River and mountains over the water in Washington… plus you felt you could almost reach out and touch the Bridge of The Gods. Even with the train track so close, the noise was almost non existent but to someone from overseas like me, watching those trains trundle by just added to the adventure. I am definitely going back to Cascade Locks in the summer to hike some of the PCT and will be stay I g at this hotel. Thank you to the caring and professional staff.

Nice hotel and staff. Clean spacious rooms. Rooms on river side have significant train noise all night. Adequate grab and go breakfast. Safe area. Pretty walk on the riverside of the hotel and nice view of the Bridge of the Gods. If I had to do it again would book a room on the front side(street) of the hotel.

The rooms are updated with very comfortable chairs. Bed and bedding are nice. It's close to many attractions. Don't count on room coffee it's awful. The trains are busy but didn't disturb us at all! Staff are very helpful. If you are looking to use pool etc call ahead and make sure it's working. I would have given it a 5 star rating if pool was working. I would definitely stay here again it's a nice place to stay.

We stayed here 2 nights before departing from Portland airport to Honolulu. It is 40 minutes away on the highway. The hotel is in an ideal location along the great Columbia River, near the bridge to Washington States's Stevenson. The rooms are large, but the vanity is in the bedroom. This is not ideal since it's usage will undoubtably wake up the spouse. The best amenity is breakfast at Bridgeside Restaurant next door. The breakfasts are really good. I love its ambiance with native American artefacts of arrowheads, axes, rifles as well as many vintage pictures showing the native Americans and early settlers. The picture windows are huge and show the snow-covered trees and mountains along the Columbia River. So, so beautiful.

Over the last 20 years we have made this hotel a stop on the way to the coast. If we didn't do that, it was a stop on the way heading East. It is so peaceful and the Columbia River is right outside the door. I like the rooms with the balconies and the trains going by are strangely very soothing. The service has always been excellent. And the customer service at Best Western online is really good. The agent was able to immediately answer my question about points (which I had not used in years). They never go away. We used to have pets travelling with us, we could alway rely on Best Western, Cascade Locks, Oregon. I will plan to stay longer next time.

Pool area is nice, amenities are functional. The staff is friendly and be sure to get the River view room so that you can watch the boats! Breakfast is next door. Make time to get a hot meal. It's totally worth it with the extra few dollars - trust me.

Pluses - the room was large (a nice king size room), clean and comfortable, the hotel is well located and easy to find. We were on the 4th floor with a view of the river and the bridge. The bed had great sheets and was very comfortable. Con's - the train runs righ along the river (although it did not use its horn and seemed to stop by10pm). It didn't keep us awake, but light sleepers might notice it.

Amazing views! The train runs all night long FYI, so expect constant noise. A few hotel staff weren't wearing masks as well as many hotel guests - even though it's a state mandate. Their signage is weak, only stating "please wear a mask." It's pretty basic to follow these rules, but when the hotel won't enforce it, it makes it pretty clear that my money is best spent elsewhere. Coffee in the room is awful. Boyd's (better, but still garbage), is available for free in the lobby. Hot tub isn't very hot and the pool is very chilly. Restaurant next door - decent food, but definitely not high-quality. Super easy access to cross the bridge to head to Stevenson for better food choices and shopping.

The hotel itself was well worth the money. Super nice staff from house keepers to front desk staff. Great location, at the base of the Bridge of the Gods. Rooms were quite nice for the money, whether on the river side or parking lot side. Sadly some other guests lack class. We were soaking in the hot tub relaxing and in come the trash. Kids screaming at the top of their lungs jumping in and out of the pool. Manners straight out the window. The acoustics in the pool area amplify the screams by a factor of 5. That cut our relaxing time very short. Not the hotel's fault though. Aside from that, we enjoyed the stay and will be back.

Wonderful hotel with friendly staff. When booking your stay, request a river view room. The hotel is close to Multnomah Falls and other scenic areas. The room itself was comfortable and well appointed. There is nice seating area overlooking the balcony featuring incredible views. The bed was comfortable, the room cozy. We were offered a complementary breakfast at the restaurant next-door. It was well prepared, nourishing and tasty. ** We highly recommend taking the dinner cruise on the Columbia Gorge Sternwheeler!

I stayed here for one night and left under protest - I loved it here! Based on what I needed to accomplish on my PNW itinerary, Cascade Locks was the only place that made sense and this hotel seemed worth the splurge. I booked one night in a riverfront room with a balcony and I was thrilled. The balcony gave me incredible views of the river and the bridge at all times of day. I grew up next to train tracks and have lived in major cities so the train being so close didn't bother me at all. For those who it might, the hotel helpfully includes earplugs in the room. Breakfast was served at the restaurant next door; you can use the voucher for breakfast to go. Even though it was takeaway, it was tasty and filling. I needed to drop my luggage at the hotel for a few hours because I was heading out to Multnomah Falls for some hiking but arrived before check-in. The staff were great, confirming that this was possible when I booked and even calling once my room was ready. As a solo car-less traveler, this hotel was everything I needed: beautiful and convenient to the Columbia Gorge Express bus. I strongly recommend staying here if your plans bring you through Cascade Locks.

Great location overlooking the Columbia River. Two good restaurants nearby. The room was your standard quality Best Western Plus, which we find extremely satisfactory. The room rate was fair. Voucher for breakfast at the Bridgeside did not include coffee, choices were either hard-boiled eggs or granola.

This hotel is always our favorite place to stay in the area. We planned to have more family with us, so booked the family room with 3 queen beds and a river view. They give you $5 off coupons for the very good restaurant next door. Meals there run in the $10-$15 range. They used to cover the full cost but, hey, inflation is affecting us all. We didn't use the pool this trip but have always enjoyed it in the past.

Beautiful Views, Excellent service and provided us with fulfilling our request for a great view room for our 44th anniversary. The hotel was in stellar condition, the grounds very nicely taken care of and the room was one of the best we have ever stayed in.

Everything about this hotel was wonderful. It was super clean, even for our pet room. We had 2 rooms both with king beds and a balcony. Our first floor room still had a great view of the river and bridge. The 2nd floor had an even better view. The staff was friendly and the coffee was good. We had breakfast and dinner at the bridge side next door and brought the food back to the room. Both were good. The free breakfast was a grab and go box but we choose the discount and picked a hot breakfast instead. We hope to come back very soon!

Everything was terrific! Great service - clean rooms. Express check-in and express check-out. Breakfast options. Had the Grab & Go which was 2 hard boiled eggs apple scone and muffin! Easy off and on freeway access.

We arrived early and were readily accommodated as soon as a room was ready. The reservation specialist actually came out to our car where we were resting to tell us our room was ready. On check in I asked for an upgrade and fortunately a room was available. After a long day of travel we enjoyed a lovely glass of wine overlooking the Columbia River. Breakfast was at the restaurant nextdoor. They offered fabulous meals and the hotel gave us a coupon for either a dine in or grab and go breakfast. The amenities at this hotel are exceptional. Ive noticed some reviews mention the train that passes by. Really not a bother and we did not need the earplugs provided. Overall, the room, views and amenities are wonderful. There is even a walking path from the hotel, along the river that connects with part of the Pacific Crest Trail. I can't wait to go back and stay a bit longer.

We love going to Cascade Locks Best Western. I enjoy watching the trains go by. Based on their cargo they present a glimpse of the current economy. I enjoy watching tugs and barges moving up and down the Columbia River. The restaurant next door to the hotel provides really great breakfasts.

Stayed at the Cascade Locks location for a two day scenic tour of the Columbia River Gorge. Not being familiar with the area I had to pick a town to stay the night. So so glad we picked Cascade Locks. Beautiful green area with amazing views of the river and Bridge of the Gods from our room. The front desk staff was very friendly and the lobby was welcoming and clean. The pool and spay was very nice, open late, and had a view of the river during day light hours. Our room was nice sized, clean, and very comfortable beds. It was nice to have a love seat and coffee table to sit on and enjoy the views while eating a take out dinner. A/C worked great. I'd love to return and have recommended BW Cascade Locks to friends.

Someone keyed my car during the night. I filed a report with law enforcement and was told car vandalism was a “chronic problem” at this hotel. The hotel only has one camera at the front door and no security on site. If a hotel has a “ chronic problem” with vandalism, they certainly should have installed cameras or have someone on site providing security. The sheriff thinks it may be someone local because they have had numerous reports of vandalism. I would never stay there again.

This is a great place to stay if you are visiting Multmonah Falls as it is located close by but away from the crowds and traffic. Unfortunately at the time of our visit, Oregon had just lifted covid regulations two days prior and most restaurants were closed for dinner by 6p.m. We ended up having to purchase our makeshift dinner from the corner Columbia Market-- a croissant sandwich and a chef salad. Unfortunately the reservation clerk at the Best Western Plus Columbia River Inn did not offer us any advice where we could have dinner--as we heard from another person staying at the Best Western Plus that we could have paid the bridge toll of $2.00 and head to Stevenson for a nice dinner. Breakfast was included in the daily rate- it was made to order at the Bridgeside Dining which was conveniently located right next door. A definite nice breakfast of your choice- which included eggs, sausage, pancakes, and more. The rooms were good size and clean. A bit steep in price because of the popularity of Multomah Falls.

This is definitely one of our favorite places to stay on the way to the coast or just to get away for a night. Nice little town, clean hotel, great service with great views. Would highly recommend this over any other accommodations in the area.

Would recommend paying extra for the room with the view. Even with the train track next to the hotel, it still felt tranquil. Microwave, Fridge in the rooms. Very roomy bathroom and beds are comfortable. Free Breakfast in the morning at the restaurant next door was a bonus and delicious. Service was great- brought fresh towels to the pool as soon as we went in.

Great, great stay! Perfect! The hotel is very clean and well maintained. The hotel staff is super friendly and helpful! The room was spacious & quiet. The bed and pillows were soft and comfortable. The hotel is very pet friendly. The location is stunning! Although we didn't have a river view, there was a patio and benches on the grounds that offered spectacular views. There are restaurants and taproom easily in walking distance (3-5 minutes). Hiking trails all around.

This place is a gem of a find! We paid a little more for a “room with a view”, well worth the price. Our room was on the third floor with a lovely view of the river, the sunset was gorgeous! Breakfast at the restaurant next door was included, a pick of quite a few options, all deliciously home cooked, again with a lovely view of the river.. a bald eagle soared by as we were dining. Definitely planning on returning!

This property is located right on the Columbia River with great views of the river and Bridge of the Gods from the riverside rooms. Very close to Multnomah Falls. Beautiful, clean, cool, comfortable room. The full, real breakfast included is a special bonus. The customer service, Karie at the front desk in particular, exceeds every hope and expectation. She is a wonderful ambassador for the Best Western brand.

The view of the Columbia River was incredible. The cleanliness, service, and breakfast was amazing. We loved everything about our stay, and can't wait to stay here again. We were just passing through, but we would love to spend a few days here next time.

Over two weeks of traveling this was the largest, cleanest, most comfy bed and the best room we stayed at. The view of the river was lovely. The staff at the front was kind and helpful. The wait staff in the restaurant for breakfast worked their behinds off to get everybody what they wanted and were very gracious even though they were short-staffed. Breakfast was restaurant quality delicious. Wish we would have stayed more nights.

The hotel was perfect for us. It's situated on the river and near an easy walking path which starts from the bridge of the gods. Next time we'd like to try staying in a room with a Riverview and chose not to just because we didn't know how the trains would interfere with our sleep and if the view would be worth it. I love trains, barges, water and sunsets and will definitely try the room with a balcony next time. In addition, the breakfast voucher for the restaurant next-door was far superior to any best western breakfast and the food overall is good.

1 star for location and one star for nice room. My concern is false advertising. I don't know what makes this a BW plus. They don't even serve breakfast. Instead they send you to a nearby restaurant with a voucher. The problem is the restaurant is awful. There's a line for 15 minutes before you even place an order, then the cashier takes your voucher, money, credit card, etc, gives you a number and you wait. And wait. In that time I saw a grease fire, cashiers, after touching money and credit cards, use their bare hands to make toast, slice bagels, and put food onto plates. Orange juice is served out of a 5 gallon paint bucket, utensils being dropped on floor and returned to table, etc. Health department should be on alert. And of course nobody serving food wore masks. Nearly AN HOUR had gone by, I couldn't wait anymore so I'd the Cafe and went to BW office and asked the front desk clerk Karie to let me see the manager. ""Not possible.", but Karie said she could help. I explained my situation and asked to be refunded for the non existent breakfast. Instead of expressing concern, she basically decided to lecture me on the virtue of patience and told me there was nothing she could do, not even give a voucher for $20, not that I ever plan on returning. I'm traveling cross country and as a BW gold member, have stayed at a dozen BWs in the last month and this one is by far the worst customer service I've experienced. Best Western Minus is more like it.

We loved our stay! The guest service was amazing! Our rooms were a good size and so clean. And the views from this place are breathtaking! I didn't want to leave! The location is in a vacation spot itself, and a short drive from other areas.

Waterfront rooms have great view. Staff was polite and friendly. Room was clean, however our king mattress was in awful condition and very little improvement after they flipped it, so we did not sleep well. Breakfast next door was ok but options limited. Cascade locks is a small town.

I have been to approximately 8 different Best Westerns in the Pacific NW throughout this past year. This place next to Bridge Of The Gods is number 1! Very clean, comfortable and the staff is great. I will certainly be going back to this one.

The room was nice and clean and had a beautiful view. We didn't have a balcony so we were happy to find benches by the river so we could enjoy the beautiful evening. People mentioned the train noise being an issue but it didn't bother us at all. We enjoyed our breakfast at the restaurant next door. The town looked adorable and we wished we had more time to explore.

First off, this hotel is located in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge in a gorgeous location. It is also conveniently located about 45 minutes from downtown Portland and an hour from Mount Hood. There are outdoor activities in abundance around the hotel. The hotel staff was friendly, the hotel was clean and nicely decorated and our family suite was a nice size with a great view of the river. We also enjoyed the breakfast offered at the restaurant next door. This is a great hotel if you are traveling with family.

We go to Best Western Plus everytime we travel because were treated great by the staff and rooms are great. There always in a great location. Swimming Pool and weight room are kept up very well. The last two places we stayed in had river view. The one we stayed last month had a fireplace which was nice. They also have some suites with Balconies, the price for what you get are very great.

This hotel is right on the river with a great view of the bridge to Stephenson, so be aware that you CAN hear the trains. Keep in mind that this hotel is older, though it is also very clean. We stayed in the "family room" with 2 queen beds and a king. It has a fantastic view. It is a great location too - we walked down the street with our 3 young kids to the brewery, delicious coffee shop, and fish market (featured on TOP CHEF this season). Because of COVID, we were provided vouchers for the super cute diner next door and the breakfast meals were amazing. It was hands down the best breakfast we have had in 5 hotels during the waning era of COVID precautions. This is also a convenient location for some great trails.

Have stayed here before. Nice place with a Great River View. Be warned though it comes at a little price. The train tracks are right behind the hotel. They do quite down at night! Not a lot to do in the area, but the River boat cruise is in the plans next time and this is the place to stay for that trip without question! Cafe next door is where the breakfast is served and not too bad of selection included in your stay.

We liked this hotel because it was clean, offered free breakfast and was along the Columbia River Gorge. The only suggestion we have is if you don't like train noise, don't get a Riverside view room because the train runs right next to the resort on the river side view rooms. Much quieter on the front side.

This is a terrific place with great views and a great location for hiking, biking, and exploring the gorge area. The room was large with a very comfortable bed and great views of the river and the Bridge of the Gods. The staff, especially Lauren at the front desk, is all amazing. So helpful and friendly. Offering a variety of breakfast choices freshly made at the restaurant next door was an excellent Covid accommodation. The room was large enough to easily bring back food to the room and enjoy the views while we ate. It was very convenient to have a guest laundry available. This is one of the best Best Western hotels we've ever stayed at and we hope to return again some day. We would definitely stay at this one rather than the one in Hood River.

The place was great, small town with plenty to see, Room was clean, the staff was wonderful, the first place I found on the trip that has a Jacuzzi that was working their pool wasn't. Really had a good time here

I was totally blown away by my stay at the Best Western Plus in Cascade Locks. The view from our room was absolutely gorgeous. The room was very clean and quality toiletries were available. I stayed with my husband, 6 year old daughter and my dog. The complimentary breakfast was incredible! Also great to have the coffee station always available. We loved swimming in the pool too. Such a great value!

Couldn't have asked for anything more ... ... other than, maybe - a slightly taller toilet (was okay for me, but had the hubby been with me, I would have had to call for help to get him up :) (He is 6'4", I am 5'2")

This hotel is in a beautiful part of the Columbia Gorge. It was a relaxing stay and just what we needed for a weekend staycation. Not far from Hood River and other great things to do in the area, like hikes, waterfalls, wine tasting, a drive along Hwy 14, and more.

We usually try to stay at a Best Western wherever we go, this one has a beautiful view of the Columbia River and is right nest to The Bridge of the Gods. The staff were professional and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay here.

I have stayed at this BW roughly 15 times in past 10 years. The staff is amazing, kind, helpful and friendly. The grounds are kept clean, no dog poop on grass. VERY good breakfast next door. Views are impeccable and the beds are awesome. You acn smell a hint of bleach in your towels, can I say thank you???

Every other week my girl and I do a staycation somewhere. This time it was in the gorge at the best western. By far the most pleasant hotel experience yet. And very reasonably priced for the river view that we got to enjoy. Highly recommend.

grab a room on the river side with a balcony...great view , with the added pleasure of of train every now and then. Ample parking , pizza place just down the street, good restaurant next door. Town closes down early

Great location with beautiful views! Friendly staff, super clean and a yummy full breakfast! We came for the weekend for my son and daughter in laws wedding and everyone stayed here. It was great to have our family and close friends all in the same place for this amazing event! The hotel was so conveniently located to everything! Within walking distance to restaurants and the store are always a bonus! Short drive down the street to the Cascade locks and then a stop at Multnomah Falls on the way made this trip even better without having to go out of our way to see or do these things.

Location is great. I took a room with a river view. I could have added some money and upgraded to a room with a balcony with river view but it was already dark. Room was great mattress a bit too soft but all great. Breakfast was in a restaurant near by so its a real breakfast. You get a voucher.

This BW Plus tries hard to be comfortable. The bed was comfy and the folks at the front desk were very nice. Bring your own pillow, though...they've changed the queen pillows to small square pillows. Just not comfortable for us.

This hotel sits right above the Columbia River and if you choose a riverside room, the view is exceptional. The "negative" aspect is that the hotel also sits right above the railroad tracks and the trains frequently run during the night. We chose a room on the street side and we were not bothered at all by the train noise. The rooms are clean and the staff is wonderful.

We've stayed often. Great views. Close to park and hikes, PCT. Can't beat it. Also free breakfast at East in restaurant. Baked goods and food are fantastic. Clean and COVID regs followed extremely well. Wonderful service. Fast.

Quaint hotel right off the highway with great views of Bridge of the Gods and the gorge if you get a river view room. Breakfast is included via certain dishes at the restaurant next door. I did consider it a bit pricey for the brand and being in such a small town. Front desk staff was very welcoming.

This is the place to stay on the river. You have to upgrade to a river view. We can just stare outside and sip wine and never leave the room and be happy. Great value for what you get and a full breakfast is included in the price to the restaurant next door. The Breakfast is awesome too. Thick sliced pepper bacon and not the cheap crap from a Denny's. We will for sure be back here. The staff really take care of you and go out of their way too.

My husband and I stayed here for a weekend. First we love Best Western. The room was beautiful with a big comfortable bed. The view is amazing. We just sat on the deck enjoying the Columbia River. Breakfast was at the neighboring restaurant so it wasn't the cold sack breakfast so many hotels are doing now. The view while eating our breakfast was gorgeous . All the staff were friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this place for its beauty and comfort. This small area surprisingly has a lot of vegan/vegetarian food options from a place that has veggie dogs to a nearby restaurant that serves beyond meat burgers.

My husband and I just had a 3 night staycation here. Our room was very nice, spacious and clean. The restaurant is a must!!! Great views and wonderful food and service. The pool and hot tub were great. We took advantage of the little beach attached and rented a 2 person kayak. There is plenty of things to do in the area. The staff were all wearing mask and were always around keeping the hotel disinfected. In the morning the free grab and go breakfast was a great option. We had a fantastic time and will be back again soon.

I highly recommend this hotel. We were traveling on our honeymoon and wanted to see Multnomah Falls. This hotel is a convenient location for that destination. The view of the Columbia River and mountain range from our balcony was breathtaking! The included breakfast featured the best pancakes I have ever eaten. A not-to-be missed experience!

Very clean rooms, attentive staff and very comfortable stay. Would definitely recommend this hotel! Went on-line to pre check in. Lauren at the front desk made sure that check in was quick and all of our questions were answered. Super nice! Stayed in family room and it was great. Read previous reviews about train being too noisy and saw hotel provided ear plugs but to be honest we had no problems with train whatsoever. Train did come by several times throughout the day and early morning hours and we were on ground floor but it did not bother us. Only constructive criticism is electrical plugs in room need replaced. They are old and our electronics, including hair dryer plugs kept falling out while in use. Such a beautiful location! Would be happy to return!

Unfortunately this was the worst stay at a BEST Western I have ever had ( we have ever had). My family and I had had three different rooms. The one my friend and I had presented the significant problem of a leaking toilet with water all over the bathroom floor and a very warped bathroom door that would not shut by a long shot ! The Maintenance man came up said the door would relax/unswell it did not , Had to leave the room to use the bathroom down stairs. Ridiculous !

The place was gorgeous. I got a room with a balcony and a great view of the Columbia River. It could not have asked for more! The room was very clean. During this time of the pandemic, I felt secured with the cleanliness of the room. They have a guest laundry, so that was helpful when I accidentally spilled something on the only pants I had. The bed was comfortable. They have all the amenities I needed: coffee, microwave, refrigerator, safe. Their breakfast was great. You have choices to choose from. They offer express check out so it worked very well for me since I had to check out at 5 in the morning. I will definitely go back to this place next time. Heads-up, though. The hotel is beside a railroad, so you need to have your ear plugs with you when you sleep.

Make sure and book a Riverview with a balcony! Extremely clean and maintained inside and out! Make sure and walk across the bridge of gods during sunset for spectacular views. Perfect spot if you were walking the Pacific Coast Trail as it goes within 100 yards of the hotel. Fantastic hiking and biking trails within yards. Don't worry if it's raining in Cascade locks go a few miles east And it will be sunny. The historic Columbia highway is open east of Cascade locks for car free hiking and biking.

The view is amazing. Loved the little balcony. Slept in so didnt make it to breakfast. But everything was quite. Staff was great and friendly. There are trains but they don't run all night and they didn't bother me.

My significant other and I really love this location, we call it our home away from home. Definitely recommend staying here, staff is so friendly and the area is beautiful. Coming back towards the end of July.

Our stay was FANTASTIC!! We had a room with a balcony and were able to just relax and enjoy the view and the rush of the river. There was a fridge and microwave, so we brought our own food. The staff was all amazing!

The staff goes out of their way to help. Good food at the restaurant and a great location! The view rooms of the Columbia River and the Bridge of the Gods is beautiful sunshine or snow. Lots of hikes and waterfalls within a 10 minute drive.

Road trip. This was a good stop, lots to see and do. Hotel staff were exceptional, rooms clean in bed comfortable. The hotel is right next to the railroad tracks which are very busy. They supplied air plugs which were a must and with those sleep was good.

Really great hotel on the Columbia River, views of the Bridge of the Gods. Super friendly staff, nice rooms, and a great breakfast at the adjacent restaurant. You get a real breakfast with great views of the river and the bridge, a really great addition to your stay. Would really recommend this hotel if you're in the area.

This is our second visit to the BW Plus Columbia River Inn. Located along the beautiful Columbia River is has wonderful walking paths on the property and great views. We booked a river view room with a balcony so we could completely take in the river. The hotel is older but is very clean and kept up. The staff is so friendly. They do accept pets in certain rooms so check ahead to make sure they have an available pet room. There is only one downfall -- there is a train that runs between the hotel and the river. They provide ear plugs in every room. We choose the view and tolerate the train. You can always request a less expensive street view room for less train noise. Breakfast is included at the restaurant next door to the hotel.

Great views of the river and Bridge of the Gods. Enjoy the local fare in Cascade Locks or journey across the bridge to Stevenson. Both towns offer a variety of pubs, cafe's, tourist sites, etc. The hotel was very clean. The river view was wonderful!

My husband and I traveled to Oregon for a visit with relatives and a mini vacation for the long Presidents Day Holiday. We didn't plan well, and couldn't get a room in Hood River, so we tried this hotel. Very friendly staff, super clean and comfortable room. Breakfast included in the restaurant next door was excellent. We loved it so much we stayed on our way back home and got a room on the river side with a balconey. It was wonderful, but if trains bother you make sure you wear the ear plugs they provide. They don't bother me, reminded me of home. It sits right below the Bridge of the Gods and there are some nice walking trails close by. I highly recomend this wonderful hotel

Cozy hotel tucked away in the Gorge with great views of the river! Rooms were clean and the amenities were all functioning. Breakfast was free at the café next door and was delicious with good serving sizes. Stayed here for a wedding over the weekend and will gladly come to visit again!

The folks here worked hard months in advance to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Having never seen the area, we asked for the best views and we were rewarded with atop floor view of the Bridge and the River. The train was a little loud at times but became part of the total atmosphere. (ear plugs are provided). Room was comfy and clean and front desk was most helpful during our stay. The breakfast perk at the next door restaurant makes it the best breakfast at any hotel.

I have been coming to the Cascade Locks for years. If peace and quiet is your priority this is NOT the place to stay. Union Pacific tracks run directly beside the hotel. Across the river BNSF runs another set of tracks. Trains come by on the average every 15 minutes. Myself, I love watching the trains and barges and seeing what products are going East and what products are coming West. BW has a menu breakfast agreement with the restaurant next door. They have great complimentary breakfasts. At times at night without the trains and barges the place is totally silent and hardly a light can be seen....and the Columbia River just keeps rolling by...kind of magical.

Stayed here one night with family. We had a room on the bottom floor with a view of the river and Gods Bridge. This is a pet friendly hotel with a great location. Just a few exits down from the historic route 30 with all the hiking and waterfalls. The only downside I can see is the train tracks run right past the hotel but with that being said, any of the hotels here will have the same problem. They do supply earplugs and to be honest it wasn't that bad and the trains don't use their horns as they pass by but just beware there are several passing by during the night. Overall we were very please with our stay and would definitely spend time here again when traveling through.

This is a serene and beautiful place to enjoy some peace and quiet. It's quite close to Multnomah Falls. Across the Bridge of the Gods is Stevenson WA which has a number of decent restaurants. Beautiful paths to walk on.

Great place to stay. Very clean facility, the beds are amazing, room is modern. Nice pool and hot tub. Beautiful scenery, friendly staff. Breakfast is next door at Bridgeside is good. No Continental breakfast get here. Our favorite get away from home place.

Was the first time staying at the BWPCRI and was not disappointed. Nice clean well furnished room, as was the pool and hot tub area. Staff was super friendly. Will stay there again, I recommend a frontside room rather than a river view because of the train traffic on the riverbank.

My husband and I go there whenever we travel in the gorge. We have never had a bad meal and the view is Amazing!! Even when the weather is rainy or windy it is still a Lovely View. My husband and I love to take drive in the gorge and we always stop here.

Very nice location right in the river with a view of the Bridge if the Gods out the balcony. Only negative are the active train tracks right next to the rooms that have train traffic 24/7. Got use to the noise tho.

My stay here exceeded my expectations. Staff at front desk were very courteous and friendly. The maintenance guy went above and beyond to fix TV in fitness room. Rooms were very clean, plenty of amenities.

This is a super nice motel that was well appointed. Breakfast is next door at a great little cafe. The town is very quaint and the employees super nice. There is a very informative display regarding the Mulberry bridges used during WWII (Normandy invasion) that a local family -- the Stevenson's --was involved with. It was great to see that this motel honored veterans. That is a real plus for me. Location is close enough to Portland without having all the noise and hugger-mugger. Great place and beautiful setting on the Columbia.

We loved the hotel, staff and location. We had a riverfront room on the 4th floor and it had a beautiful view. We also really enjoyed the hot tub after a long day of traveling. The staff was so welcoming, that we immediately felt valued and at home.

The staff at this location is wonderful. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Pool and hot tub area was very clean and kept up. Room was very comfortable and clean. I would recommend staying at this best western.

Stayed on the riverside. The bed was comfy, breakfast was good, the staff was helpful. Walked across the bridge of the gods. Walked to the island brewery and had a beer and a burger. Yum! Hiked up Multnomah falls. Beauty everywhere!

We've visited this hotel three times so far and it never disappoints. The service at the front desk is amazing. The rooms are so nice and big and clean. I highly recommend a room with a view, it's worth it! We plan on coming back at least once a year for the Columbia Gorge marathon. Love, love this hotel. Not to mention, the whole area is breathtaking.

Everything was wonderful, except for the train that ran just below the hotel every hour on the hour .... guest beware ... might be ok in rooms on the front side of the hotel. However, thought kinda of amusing that they supply earplugs for river view rooms ....

We spent three wonderful nights. What a setting and view of the river. This is really a unique property as it sits right about the Columbia River and provides the most amazing views of boats, trains and the Bridge of the Gods. They have a wonderful partnership with the restaurant right next door and provide vouchers for breakfast each day of your stay. The food there and view is wonderful. Hotel staff is over-the-top fantastic. They do everything they can to make your stay perfect! There are great waterfall and hiking trails nearby. The town of Hood River is about 20 minutes away and is fun to visit as well. We hope to visit again!

The hotel was warm and inviting for a hotel. It was also nice and clean. Everyone who worked there was helpful and friendly. The best part of our visit were the beautiful views of the Columbia River gorge.

We stayed here the first weekend in October for a wedding. Great location, great room, and the breakfast at the restaurant was really good. You are centrally located in the Columbia Gorge area so everything is easily accessible.

This hotel was clean, comfortable and had the most excellent view of the Columbia George. Breakfast vouchers are given for the restaurant next door. We had a private little balcony. We would definitely stay here again.

The Best Western Plus Columbia River Inn is a well-situated headquarters for exploring the Gorge. It's about half-way into the Gorge from Portland so you have easy access to both the eastern and western halves. It's located right next to the Bridge of the Gods so it's easy to get over into Washington to explore there. The views from the riverside rooms are glorious! The room mate includes vouchers for full breakfasts at the Bridgeview Restaurant next door.

The Columbia River Inn is near the hiking trails and waterfalls. I was concerned about the train passing right in front of the hotel because I'm a light sleeper, but they didn't bother me. Ear plugs are provided if needed. I was still on East Coast time, so when I was awake in the early morning hours, I could hear them, but they never woke me up. Only once during the day did a train blow its whistle. We were on the top floor facing the river - nice view from the balcony. The beds were comfortable, the staff friendly and the Bridgeside restaurant next door had good selection of complimentary breakfast options. My husband enjoyed the Cascade Breakfast. We were leaving super early on a Monday morning to avoid the Portland traffic nightmare and we were able to pick up breakfast to go on Sunday night. We had the yogurt and granola- excellent! The laundry facility has a washer and a dryer (accepts credit cards!), a place to fold your clothes and a small sink. I'm sorry I didn't see the cookies mentioned in the other review:)

Hotel overlooks the Columbia River. Hotel was nicely appointed. Large clean rooms. Breakfast was next door, voucher provided by the hotel. Excellent breakfast with several choices, above and beyond normal hotel provided breakfast.

Beautiful area - good location- view of the river very nice - you are right at the Pacific Crest trail - nice quiet rooms - pet friendly - accepted our kitty with no problems- rate was high when I can get the same room and services for half the price at other nice locations -

View was nice, had a balcony...But no warning of the multiple trains that come by several times a day and night they had ear plugs in the room for you to use...they should have a disclaimer warning guest of this on their web site

Large room with a river view. Room is configured so a sleeping occupant is disturbed when someone uses the sink. Plenty of outlets and good lighting. Work desk and chair. Closet. Bed could have been better. Noisy from the hall and outside. Complimentary breakfast at the Bridgeview Café (restaurant next door) which is excellent. Fridge and microwave. Friendly staff. Just minutes from the Sternwheeler

My husband and I have stayed at Best Western's the world over and this was one of the best. The room was fantastic. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was awesome, there was a small sofa in the room and plenty of space. The best thing was the cleanliness and the kindness of all the staff.

Friendly, convenient, great staff, The railroad was behind the hotel and unavoidable but hotel provided ear plugs. Gnats were aproblem too so they encourage us to keep windows closed. Time of year issue only

this is one of the best B.W. we have stayed in. The staff were great, friendly and courteous. The room clean and on the Columbia River, ground floor with a very good view. Nothing bad about this motel. They provided us with free meal at the restaurant next door where the food was good as was a the staff. Nice stay here will do again if we can.

This is a great place to stay, get a riverside room so you can see the Columbia River plus the bridge into Washington. Cascade Locks is the only town directly on the Pacific Crest Trail so you meet interesting people with good stories. You will enjoy your visit.

The location and motel was fantastic.The view was breathtaking. The staff was very professional, helpful, and polite. Could not ask for anything better. Breakfast was a convenient stroll to the restaurant.

One of the first things we noticed were the packages of earplugs on the condiments tray. Earplugs? We were puzzled at first. Our room was pleasant, clean, and nicely furnished. It had a lovely view over the Columbia River and there was no construction underway nearby. Then we noticed it...the railroad tracks just below our hotel. A double set running along the river. We both laughed. At night when I extract my hearing aids a 767 could be landing and I wouldn't hear it.But before that time we had several trains pass by and they did not disturb us at all. The rumbling could very well be mistaken for the roar of a rushing stream. [Try sleeping along the N. Fork of the Umpqua River near Glide in Oregon if you like continuous noise.] There's no crossing in the vicinity so we didn't hear any whistle from the trains. Nevertheless, it is considerate of the management to furnish ear plugs. We do recommend you consider booking a room overlooking the river. Very nice. [See photo.] This is a nice hotel. We'll definitely keep it on our list for future trips we make over to the coast.

I loved the experience in this hotel. The riverview room views are incredible, sitting on the balcony drinking coffee in the morning. The front desk staff went out of their way to be accomodating. The breakfast at the partner restaurant next door was equally wonderful. If you want to enjoy Cascade Locks, staying here will add to your experience.

Second stay at this location - disappointed that the nay view from our room was a satellite dish when river view had been requested. Good breakfast option next door. Back balcony view o river was some consolation.

This hotel is one of Best Western's best. Everything was perfect. Rooms were clean, bed's extra comfortable, staff helpful and friendly. The view from our room was awesome, outside areas gave guests extra access to the scenic Columbia Gorge. Pool and hot tub were great! I had heard the trains were noisy, but honestly, I did not hear them from inside our lowest level suites. I'd have thought it'd be noisiest there. The building didn't even rumble. The Breakfast included is not your standard hotel fare, but a variety of delicious options at the Riverside restaurant, right next door. Adds to the awesome value this hotel offers. Stay here!!

We loved our stay!! This hotel had everything we needed...hot tub, views, and close to Hood River. Biggest plus was the wonderful complementary breakfast every morning over looking the Columbia River.

I came to stay here based on the BW Name and also it was mentioned as a hotel close to where the Bridge of the Gods Half Marathon takes place. Excellent staff and their service at check in. Excellent Location, if you are coming in for the Bridge of the Gods Half Marathon in August, this hotel is 10 mins from the bib pick up, bus pick up and finish line. Breakfast vouchers for the restaurant next door. And close to several hiking trails. The room itself was perfect. We were on the ground floor facing the parking lot but didn't notice the traffic noise. The reason why it doesn't have a 5 circle because of the bed. It was a king size but felt like we were falling towards the middle, pillows were good. Bed comfort does play a part in having a great sleep versus having a so-so sleep and waking up in the middle of the night with a sore back. All in all, a very good stay on the BW Plus in Cascade Locks.

So pleased when we arrived here. Staff on front desk were all excellent, really friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and had a stunning view over the river and bridge. Used the laundrette and our breakfast served in a diner next door was tasty and fun . If we're ever lucky enough to be back in the area we'd definitely stay again.

We stayed here while passing through and visiting the waterfalls. Great stay! Get a room with a balcony and view! It was drizzly and foggy and still very enjoyable. The included breakfast next door was nice. It was fun to have a made to order breakfast before our adventures. Clean room, great staff. Can't go wrong. The train didnt bother us at all.

We made a reservation at this hotel by telephone a few weeks ago. We specifically asked for a room on the view side of the hotel with a king bed and a balcony. The clerk informed us the hotel did have a room available with this specifications. We got an email confirmation that we we booked into a king view room. When we checked in to the hotel, and got to our room, there was no outside deck or balcony. We informed the front desk staff of the error, and the clerk told me I had not asked for a room with a balcony, and the confirmation letter did not say balcony. Long disappointing story later, but if you really want a balcony that overlooks the Columbia River, be sure that the confirmation specifically says BALCONY. There is no way to have known the clerk I made the reservation with had made an error, and the hotel, although nearly empty was unwilling to correct the error. Poor customer service to say the least. Really too bad because this used to be a nice place to stay.

We had appointments in Portland early in the morning and decided to stay here in Cascade Locks away from all the noise and bustle of the city. It was an easy drive into town. Our room was clean and although they gave us earplugs because of the train going by--we didn't need them, we hardly heard it.

Fantastically clean and beautifully appointed rooms! Many rooms have balconies and I highly recommend them.THe bed and pillows were excellent.It was the best night sleep of our 8 day tripLoved the location on the river.The staff was was excellent and helpful with dinner recommendations. Our only regret is that we did not stay longer.

Found this hotel very nice and in a great location to the Bonnevile Dam and to multiple falls. We also use this location as a base to head to Mt Hood and timberline lodge for a day trip. The hotel was clean, the staff very friendly and helpful. The restaurant next door served breakfast for the hotel which was very good with large portions. Minor issue with another guest dog barking at 5 am, but the hotel staff took care of things. Would highly recommend to anyone considering the area!

We were very pleased withBW. The location was handy for us to see many sites in and around the.gorge and.mt hood area. Pool area was nice and rooms were comfortable and clean. Staff was always helpful and upbeat

We went for a 5 day weekend over the 4th of July. First, the person on the phone when I called to book was really helpful in trying to get the room we wanted. Then when we checked in, the front desk manger helped us and he was super friendly. I try to write pros & cons and offer a full view of our experience. We ride a motorcycle 15,000 miles a summer and we stay in a lot of hotels. Pros: Staff, everyone we encountered was exceptional and that is rare. Room (riverside) had an incredibly peaceful view and vibe. There is not a train track between the hotel and the river, you can walk right to the water. I thought the bed was great, slept well. Housekeeping did a great job. Restaurant: Absolutely outstanding. Free breakfast was off the menu, I say hands down this was the best hotel breakfast we've had over hundreds of stays. Creative menu including vegan options. Dinner was paid but it was equally impressive. Servers were too notch, Mason (and others) at breakfast were great. Pool & hot tubs (indoor & outdoor). Didn't use the pool, but kids seemed to be having fun. The hot tubs were hot, like they're supposed to be. Cons: So this is an older property and while there has been updating, it fell short in a couple areas. Only one outlet and no USB ports on the desk. We travel with electronics, laptop, charging lots of camera & Gopro batteries, charging 2 helmet intercoms......We have a charging hub, but still, one outlet is subpar. Most places we stay have usb hubs and multiple outlets. Some of the doors are coming apart, like they are the originals from the 70's. Overall, the property needs a pretty major overhaul. Conclusion: We would absolutely stay there again. The things that really matter to us were good and the staff made up for some shortcomings I would go back just for the free breakfast. We wanted a nice place to stay for our first trip to the West coast..Wanted to explore the waterfalls and Mount Hood are..What a pleasant surprise this hotel and surroundings was..Can not wait to return!

The pictures for the property make this appear a lot nicer than it is. Between the hotel and river, is a train track with trains running all night long. The pool is the smallest I have seen in a hotel. Breakfast is next door (pray it's not raining) with a selected menu for hotel guests. Don't even think about substitutions for the breakfast offerings. The view is the same from any other property around the area. Very expensive in relation to what is actually offered. A totally different type of Best Western Plus service and facilities than I have experienced at any other location.

We were in Cascade Locks for a Riverboat tour and decided to spend the night. It was beautiful, the view, the room, the people, etc My husband had surprised me with this trip, he booked the room, the tour, etc. and when the girls at check in heard this, they went above and beyond to make sure our stay was great. The balcony room on the 4th floor was amazingly beautiful. We slept with the window open to hear the river and the trains. It was great. BTW, thanks for the ear plugs in the room. That was great!

Although the rooms tend to be rather small, the views and the experience of staying in the gorge were very memorable. It is a bustling place but noise was kept to a minimum. Breakfast was at a restaurant next door and it was more than nice! Delicious!

Stayed here twice in the past 2 years. It's absolutely beautiful here, and great staff and restaurant! The views are breathtaking, close to trailheads, and the Bridge of the Gods is awesome. Couldn't love this place more.

We love staying here. Clean, quiet, dog friendly. Nice hikes nearby. Great staff and good hot breakfast next door. Wish we could stay here every time we visit Portland! It's about 30-45 min away from the city center.

I loved everything about this hotel. The rooms were well equipped. The beds were very comfortable. The amenities were great! The breakfast was served at the restaurant next door and included your choice of several full breakfast menu items and a beverage. The value of the breakfast for my family of four was approximately $45, so that is factor in the price. Very nice place!!

With an outside balcony overlooking the Columbia river with a glass of wine, what better way could one have to end a day of sightseeing in the Gorge. Perfect! This was a memorable place on our western road trip.

A beautiful spot in Columbia Gorge right on the River with excellent view from our balcony. Staff was friendly and room was very clean. Breakfast vouchers were provided for the restaurant next door that served excellent food. We took our dog and the pet area was great for his use. I would highly recommend this hotel in Cascade Locks. Great hotel on the Columbia River Gorge- friendly service- kept up nicely. The breakfast was delicious. Easy in and out along the interstate and right next to the Bridge of Gods. Great location for traveling next to Oregon and Washington.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Columbia River Inn. The property is well maintained and the staff courteous. We enjoyed the view of the river and the historical photographs in our room depicting how the river, bridge and locks had changed after the construction of the Bonneville Dam.

I have to say with the many hotels we have stayed at this was the best. Very clean and the staff was wonderful.Over all it was just great had alot of fun. I would stay again. Going next door to the restaurant was great the food was so good we didn't even have to go looking for the night meals.And the breakfasts were outstanding which comes with your rooms.

This was such a welcoming place to stay. A clean room, comfortable beds and we had a river view room. The view of Bridge of the Gods and the Columbia River was perfect! The town is small, so you can walk everywhere. We forgot toothpaste and the front desk was happy to accommodate. We stayed only 1 night, wish we could have stayed longer. The staff is very nice and we felt so well taken care of. Hope to come back soon Our room had complimentary ear plugs as the train runs right by the river, but we found we didn't need them. Maybe the trains don't run at night- we slept great! My husband loved the complimentary breakfast offered at the restaurant next door

We had a river view room with a balcony; it was so relaxing to watch the river even in drizzly weather. The balcony was protected from wind and we sat out out there day and night. The beds were very comfortable, and the room was large, with a couch and desk. The breakfast included in the room rate at the restaurant next door was a great deal. Cascade Locks is not a fine dining destination for dinner, as far as we could tell, but just across the Bridge of the Gods is Stevenson, Washington, with more options.

We loved staying and enjoyed courteous staff. It included breakfast at the Bridgeside Restaurant with a great breakfast. Our room 415 looked out at the river and bridge from a small balcony. Well worth the price! Accommodations were clean and room was large. Trains did not disturb us! Just get a room on an upper floor. Don't miss Vista House and waterfalls on Old Columbia River Hwy. Go on to Hood River and see Panoramic Point.

Quick and easy checkin and we arrived very early. Thanks for the accomadation! Thanks for the great cookies too. Two bags of cookies. They gave my wife her favorite cookies and they gave me my favorite cookies. The room was quiet, large, and quiet. The view outside the window was the large Columbia River. Wow! What a sight. It is right below the bride with a great restaurant next door. They offer breakfast there. The room was clean, clean clean! The furnature was is perfect shape. The bed was wonderful. The television was large with a great lineup of channels. There is a bath and shower. The refergerator and microwave were working perfectly. We enjoyed the hot tub and pool. The train went by once in the evening but was not heard much over to AC. The internet worked well. No problems with speed. We will return to this place. Everything was perfect. This place is a step above all places we have stayed in years. The loby had coffee and hot chocolate.

Front Desk greeted me by name and gave us directions to nearby restaurant before they closed so we could have a late dinner. Comfortable king size bed and quiet overnite for a restful sleep. Breakfast (included) was outstanding at the quaint Bridgeside restaurant right next door. Gorgeous view of Bridge of the Gods over the Columbia River.

We normally always stay at Best Westerns when traveling and this is one of the best we have ever been to. If you are visiting the Columbia River Gorge for the waterfalls, Cascade Locks is where you want to stay for the best proximity to all the fall sites and hiking trails. Our room faced out onto the river and was very roomy with plenty of outlets and fast wi-fi. The front desk staff were very helpful and hot coffee was ready at 4:00 AM. Another big plus is that they use a neighboring restraunt for your free breakfast and it is a full breakfast with a number of menu choices, not typical buffet lukewarm scrambled eggs and paper thin bacon. We would highly recommend the BW Plus Columbia River Inn.

The room, which was requested to be on the river side with a balcony, was clean and pleasant. This hotel was friendly and helpful in every way. Our room was also next to the train tracks, but were not disturbed during the night.

This is a great place to stay in a beautiful national scenic area. The rooms usually include breakfast at the attached restaurant that was formerly the famous Charburger with large windows overlooking the Columbia River. From here you can set up headquarters to experience wineries or golf or hiking or whatever draws you to Oregon and just 40 nibutes from PDX.

We stopped at this hotel on our way to Olympia Washington. The setting is very pretty, right on the Columbia Gorge. Beautiful but short walkways and an advent restaurant. Unfortunately the room was dirty, hair in the bathroom, spilled something on the carpet. Our neighbours had small kids and it appeared that they tried to drown out their noise by turning up the volume of their TV full blast Complaints to the reception brought no results at all. Not impressed how they treat their customers, who paid not a small amount of money and would be entitled to some relief.

Hotel exceeded expectations. Great view of the river from the hotel and when you eat breakfast. Free breakfast is not a cheap bowl of cereal. Bacon, eggs, hashbrowns. orange juice, biscuits and gravy or bagels and fruit...a very nice way to start your day.

WE stay two night ,the staff made all of us feel welcome all the staff were pet lovers. the breakfast was one of the best the view was breath taking the staff was wonderfull. we will deffinitely be back .

If looking for a clean mid-range hotel this will probably fit the bill. We had a couple of problems on check-in, neither room was what we requested. Also, air did not work properly in one room. They fixed the air, but were not able to move us to rooms we requested - one was not available and the other they wanted an up charge for. Call in the am to verify the room they assigned you is what you reserved and get the persons name you spoke to. Both rooms were similar-two queens, pull out couch. Easily sleeps a family of 5 with children. Double sink in room, bath & toilet in separate room. I appreciated the fabricated shower tub combo as I feel it is easier to keep clean and sanitary compared to tile. Breakfast was included at the restaurant ant next door and there was a handful of good choices. They also sell local berry pies, bars...they looked delicious. Cute gift shop if you are on vacation. Rooms can be noisy because of trains, earplugs are provided. Otherwise it was super quiet. My only suggest is to dump the decorative pillows. Most people don't use them and toss them on the floor. Since the cases are not changed, these are put back on the beds clean linen. Yuck Yes, I would return if in the area. Per friendly rooms on 1&2, non pet rooms 3&4.

Fantastic hotel and welcoming staff. Check in was easy and the staff were friendly and efficient. Tea and coffee were available in the lobby. The pool and spa were clean and peaceful. Room was very clean and had all the facilities you could need. Beds were comfortable but the best part was the view of the Columbia Gorge and the Bridge of the Gods. I would recommend a river view however the Trains were loud throughout the day and night. Ear plugs were included in the room. Breakfast was included next door, you were able to select items in red which were included in your stay. Overall, a great place to stay. Clean, welcoming and a good vibe all round.

Love staying at the BW in Cascade Locks. It's right on the river providing great views if your room is on the backside of the hotel. Quiet location even though it's next to the road. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are large and comfortable. Love the indoor pool and hot tub. A great way to relax after a day of hiking. Breakfast (included in your room rate) is next door at a cafeteria style restaurant. Made to order breakfast choices with something for everyone. Will stay there again when I'm in the area.

What a delightful and beautiful place to stay. This Best Western sits right beside the Columbia River, the front desk staff were welcoming and very friendly and helpful. Our room was nice, clean stocked with plenty of items for the 3 of us. The private balcony we had was perfect for a morning cup of coffee to take in the view. The surrounding hikes for view of waterfalls are close and the complimentary full breakfast was so generous and delicious. We will stay here again I feel sure!

We like this area for all the hiking opportunities and this hotel is located close to many opportunities. The breakfast is provided by voucher from the restaurant next door and while options aren't many the food was great!

The Best Western Plus Columbia River Inn was very nice. The mattresses were super comfortable and the room was very clean. The view of the Columbia River was an added bonus. The staff was friendly and helpful. We especially liked the breakfast that was served at the restaurant next door.

Best place to stay for miles around. My husband and I have been coming here for years. The beds are so comfortable and the view is spectacular. We know that people travel from all over the world to come see our beautiful scenery, we feel so lucky to live close enough to come and enjoy it as much as we can. Awesome property and you can bring your well behaved pet to wonder around town with you.

The title of my review pretty much says it all. We like this hotel. We live in Portland and so it does not take long to get here to have a little getaway from the city. I love being on the river and even the sound of the train is calming.

It has a beautiful view, close to the waterfalls, and an amazing staff! The breakfast was delicious and fast. Our room had a balcony so we could enjoy the beauty. They had free coffee, tea, and hot coco. The pool and hot tub were great to relax in after a long day hiking. We will definitely stay at this hotel again!!

We love trains but if you don't like their noise this side may not be what you want. Their free breakfast next door was great. Check in and out was easy. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable we really enjoyed our visit We are an older couple but there were many trails and waterfalls near by for younger people. The whole gorge on both sides of river is beautiful!

Family of three used the hotel as base of operation for multi-day trip to Columbia Gorge Scenic Area. The hotel is centrally located to visit all the waterfalls, Bonneville Dam, and the Columbia Gorge museum in the Dalles. We were given a breakfast voucher for the restaurant next door, to be used each morning. Family of three had a great breakfast for free every morning. The room was clean. Everything worked as expected. Came with 2 double beds, flat screen tv, small fridge, couch, table & chairs. 9 year old daughter especially liked the pool.

Wonderful hotel in the shadow of Bridge of the Gods. Spend the extra for the river view room. Indoor pool. Small but nice exercise room. Very friendly staff. Breakfast is at restaurant next door and fantastic. Up to $10 per person. Easy access to hiway 30 and Multnomah Falls and other nearby sights.

Our updated, spacious, fourth-floor room with two queens and a generous window faced the Columbia River, Bridge of the Gods and Washington Cascades beyond. Although they don't use their horns, several trains pass right below river view rooms, so if rumbling noise is a sleep issue, choose a mountain view room. Pool, hot tub and work-out room available. Everything seemed clean and spiffy. Complementary breakfast is at a real restaurant next door with cooked-to-order food and table service so don't lose your voucher.

Love this place the staff is awesome, the rooms are always clean & quiet. Free breakfast is the best anywhere I have stayed. If you love trains like we do stay in a riverside room. This is our run away from home place for a few days of great train watching. Staff & cleaning go out of their way to make your stay the best.

We paid extra to stay on the fourth floor with a balcony and view of the Columbia River gorge. It was gray and rainy, but still nice. Yes, you will hear the trains. Yes, they do supply ear plugs in the rooms. I liked the pool and hot tub, but beware of the concrete surrounding the pool. I know it is common to have a rough service to decrease running and slipping, but this is almost like gravel. The Bridgeview restaurant next door works for breakfast and they have a great view. Breakfast was good, but not the buffet style we like at other Best Westerns. I appreciated the carpeted stair steps and pleasant stair wells as I prefer steps to elevators.

Everything here is perfect, from the great staff, comfortable beds, beautiful decor and the awesome breakfast. I stay at a lot of motels and this is my favorite. I have never had a complaint about anything.

We ate at the Bridgeview a couple of months ago and noticed the Best Western next door. We found out that the breakfast offered is there at the Bridgeview, and that the views were spectacular, so we decided to give it a try. We were definitely pleased to have done so! The front desk staff is very friendly and informative, giving us some very good tips about dining and attractions. The Lobby is simple but nice, and things are conveniently located. We stayed on the river side on the 4th floor. The room is very nice -- definitely fits the Plus definition. Spacious, well-furnished, clean and comfortable. We had a room at the end which had extra windows on the side. Some of the rooms have balconies. The beds were very comfortable. And the views on the river side are spectacular! We were there for rain, clouds, sun breaks, a beautiful morning, and all were unique and special. The pool, spa, and workout room are nicely kept and well-equipped. It's a short walk (though kinda long for handicapped) to the restaurant but it's manageable. The gift shop there is fun, and the breakfast was good. It would have been better to have had some more healthy choices, like some fresh fruit. But everything else was delicious. And the price was pretty reasonable. We would definitely recommend this place.

My husband and I stayed one night for a short weekend getaway. We arrived a bit early and waited by the fireplace in the lobby. When our room was ready the front desk staff brought us our room key and breakfast voucher. The free breakfast is at a counter service restaurant that is next door to the Best Western, Bridgeside Family Dining. Your voucher will get you a beverage and your choice of one of about five or six breakfast entrees, including biscuits and gravy, pancakes, yogurt and granola, oatmeal, or a bagel with cream cheese per person. Our room had a balcony with a great view of the Bridge of the Gods. The bed was comfortable and everything seemed clean and relatively new. We were there in the off season and it was very quiet. There were earplugs on the counter by the double sinks, but we did not use them. There are train tracks on both sides of the river just below the hotel. Although I did notice a low rumbling when trains went by, there were no train whistles or clanging bells, likely because there are no nearby roads crossing the tracks. There is a $2 toll each way to cross the Columbia over the Bridge of the Gods.

This was a nice hotel by the Bridge of the Gods. We had an easy check in with a friendly clerk. The room was nice. We had a view of the parking lot as the river view costs more. Breakfast was served next door at the Bridgeside Restaurant. You have a certain menu board from which to order. The delivery was slow but the food was okay.

Everything about the hotel was great. Our room overlooked the river (and the railway tracks but we never heard any trains in the night) and we wished that we hadn't been just passing through. There seems to be so much to do in the area. We'll be back. Breakfast was complimentary at the restaurant next door. It was a full breakfast, valued at around $15 each, making the stay very affordable.

Clean and modern rooms with comfy beds and pillows. Mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Large flat screen TV with DirecTv plus premium channels. It's obvious that this establishment is managed properly. Service is above average and prices are below average. The pool area is clean and water temperature is spot on. Train noise may be a issue for light sleepers so bring a sound machine or have some white noise. Balcony overlooking da Gorge and The BOG. Cheers to all the staff for making our vacations better!

While I would have been happy with just one bed as I was traveling alone, the fabulous view of the Columbia River and the Bridge of the Gods from my balcony alone was worth the stay. The front desk staff were amazing. Breakfast was at the Bridgeside Restaurant next door and great. Housekeeping made the room very welcoming especially after a 4 mile hike earlier that day. The price was very reasonable and I can't wait to have a chance to stay there again.

We stayed here for two nights as a staycation before Christmas. The rooms were warm and clean, and our kids enjoyed the indoor pool. Our room overlooked the Gorge with a view of the Bridge of the Gods. I saw the ear plugs for train noise, but it didn't bother us as the trains don't blast their horns while passing - at least they didn't while we were there - and I'm a light sleeper. The breakfast is next door at a restaurant, and you get a voucher to turn in for the basic full cold or hot breakfasts and coffee they have. Cascades Locks is a small town, but you are also right next to the Pacific Crest Trail trailhead heading south. Other local trails - one to Dry Creek Falls - are also available although you will be walking through a recovering burn area (still gorgeous with a lot of new moss). Our dog was also able to stay with us for a modest additional fee.

We stayed at this property as a rest break on our journey eastward. It has a beautiful property, is easy to get to, and easy to get back on I-84. Breakfast is next door at the Bridgeside, and there are many good choices. We would definitely stay here again.

The staff was terrific, welcoming and very helpful They put folks with pets on the lower level and this is perfect. There is easy access to grass and paths to walk our pups 24 hours (room key secured) There is coffee and hot water 24 hours and coffeemakers, fridge and microwave in the room that are clean and work!! The gym is new and great The pool area is clean and great for families. Rooms are nice and clean with beautiful views Soap and shampoos are sweet citrusy blends!!! Bathroom clean and towels are nice and fluffy No thread bare towels!!!! Beds are verrrrrrry comfortable!!! Parking is easy Free fabulous breakfast at the restaurant next door. We will come back!!!

Great place to stay at . The train does come by often but we had no trouble to sleep but if u do have trouble they do provide ear plugs. Great place , great location. Restaurants near by. Can walk around.

Took a much needed spontaneous vacay across the Columbia River thanks to an extraordinary rewards program. Front desk was wonderful with our late arrival. Even managed to get us another night in same room on short notice. Housekeeping was friendly and attentive even our furry friend felt welcomed The view from the restaurant and our room of the Bridge of the Gods was an amazing treat. Will be back!

Great location, spectacular view, clean & spacious room, comfortable bed and plush towels at a decent price - what else can you want?... How about a hearty, fresh, warm breakfast in a restaurant next door! Oh yes! We had that too!! I can't say enough good things about this place. If We ever stay there again I would get a room with a patio. FYI - if you prepay your room you can't change your room selection. Having earplugs in the room scared me a bit. They were for the train that passes in front of the hotel regularly. The sound was more like a soft, low rumble so it didn't bother us at all and didn't need to use the earplugs. No loud whistles or screeching wheels. Great stay in a lovely area.

Wonderful location, comfortable rooms, fantastic complementary breakfast and fun places to visit nearby. The Columbia River Gorge, Pacific Crest Trail and the Bridge of the Gods all right there. Marine Park with sternwheeler within walking distance. Mount Hood within an hour drive. Loved it.

Hotel is lovely, rooms and grounds are very clean. Staff is very nice. I just wish website mentioned the trains that run all day and night, right outside the rooms, on the river side of the hotel. You can definitely hear then in the rooms. Noise wasn't too bad, and hotel thoughtfully provides earplugs, but still would have liked to know this when looking for somewhere to stay in Columbia gorge. I'd stay here again, but it's the kind of thing that I would have liked to know ahead of time.

We did not have a river view room but the view from the hotel is fantastic.

My wife and I were on a driving holiday from Australia, and we had organised our accommodation before we left. We are so glad we picked the Best Western Columbia River Inn. Both Cascade Locks and the hotel were great places to stay. From when we arrived, to when we left, we knew this place was special. Reception staff were professional, efficient and courteous, and the location of the hotel was exceptional. Right on the banks of the Columbia River with great views of the bridge and the surrounding mountains. We sat out on the communal patio and had a lazy drink looking at the scenery and the sunset. What a way to end the day. It would have been nice to have a balcony from our room. I would have enjoyed the balcony more than the spa. But that is only a minor issue. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. We had dinner and breakfast at the Cafe next door, which also had outstanding views. Overall, we really enjoyed the hotel and surrounds, and in hindsight would have liked to have stayed a extra night, but we had so much to see and so little time to visit it all.

We stayed here one night and the staff, Tammy & John, were incredibly helpful and friendly. We had a corner room that looked out onto the Columbia River and you could see The Bridge of the Gods also. The breakfast was made to order from the restaurant next door, which was delicious! The train goes by just below the hotel but it was not loud. If it does bother anybody, they actually have earplugs in the room just in case. NOT a problem!

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The scenery alone makes it worthwhile. The river, boats, and the train were all pleasant sights and sounds. The room is clean and comfortable. The breakfast at the restaurant next door, which is included, was really good!

This hotel sits high atop the river giving a great view of the river and the Bridge of the Gods. There are two very busy train tracks below the river view room. Don't worry you are supplied with ear plugs just in case the trains are to load. We wasn't bothered by the noise. There are some very nice hiking trails nearby.

We had a wonderful time staying at the Best Western in Cascade Locks, Oregon. The room was clean and up to date. We enjoyed all the amenities such as the hot tub area. The breakfasts next door were delicious.

We booked a few nights at the lodge across the river. We came out early and needed a room for the night. The staff was extremely friendly and helped me figure out the best and most economical way to book (through a 3rd party website or directly through them). Checking in was so fast. We got to our room and ordered food from the restaurant. The room was huge and overlooked the river and the Bridge of Gods. I wish we had stayed there our entire vacation!!!

This hotel is very nice. Looks as though it was built recently. The view of the Columbia River behind the hotel was gorgeous. The breakfast was next door at a restaurant, so it wasn't the fun-of-the-mill lobby breakfast. I would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Very friendly staff and best view on Columbia River gorge. Perfect location.The only downside is some noise from nearby railway, but staff gives you earbuds for convenient sleep at night. The restaurant they partner with also has beautiful views on the bridge of gods a d river.

One of the nicer Best Western's I've stay at. Recently refurbished and our very clean and good-sized room was like new with granite vanity and bar top (with mini-sink, microwave, and refrigerator), a new and quiet Amana AC unit under the window, nice linens and towels, a large HD flat screen (with real HD, not shrunk to fit like some other BW's), and very comfy king-sized bed similar to a pillow top. We did not pay extra for the river view and didn't miss it - there's nice patio off the back to relax and enjoy the view. Breakfast is actually served off property at a restaurant next door and made to order(!) No "pre-fab lobby eggs" like some of the other BW's I've stayed at. Overall, a great stay, thanks.

The hotel was perfect.. the location. The staff and the cleanliness was GREAT! The complimentary breakfast at the restaurant next door was DELICIOUS!! It was nice to order from an actual restaurant. We would definitely come back!

Hotel staff were very friendly and knowledgeable of the area especially John who gave us great tips for local hikes. Our room was on the river side which gave us a great view of the river and the “Bridge to the Gods”. I would suggest asking for a river view room with a balcony.

Stayed here in 2006, and now 12 years later, came back to stay here again. Both times, great experience. Beds very comfortable, plenty of room, very clean. Staff is always very friendly and helpful. Had a reservation and when I arrived to check in, they said, "we were expecting you" and had everything already out and ready to go. Check in was smooth and fast, same with express check out. Breakfast was also included, and not some cheesy continental breakfast, it was full breakfast at the neighboring restaurant which was also very good and at about a $50.00 value, makes the price of the room seem very reasonable. With a view of the river and the bridge of the gods, you would be hard pressed to find a better place to stay in Cascade Locks. We will be back, just hope it takes us less than 10 years to make it.

My partner and I enjoyed our stay at BW Plus hotel. This is our first time staying at a Plus hotel. The hotel was in a perfect location. You get an awesome view of the Columbia River and the famous Bridge of God's seen in the movie "Wild", starring actress Reese Witherspoon. BW Crews here are awesomely helpful and friendly. The front desk recommended to eat next door called Bridgeside Restaurant. It was conveniently located in walking distance. The restaurant was excellent place for dinner for our first day there. You get a wide range of food to choose from. Thank you front desk for giving us discount coupons for there. The next morning, we ate breakfast there complementary for hotel guests. Again, it was excellent! Both times we sat by the window and get an awesome view of the river as well the bridge. Come early to get the best table with a mouth dropping view! We will definitely come back to this hotel again hopefully soon. Save our room with a five star view!

From the first step in BW Plus Cascade Locks we got a sense of the natural beauty, history and culture of the area of the Columbia Gorge. The friendly staff suggested hikes (so many available), museums, fishing and river excursions, places to cycle, dine, wine taste and explore. The grounds and views from the room aree xquisite framed by Bridge of the Gods and the deep gorge topography. Each change of time from dawn to sunset, to dark gave an entirely different personality to the Columbia River. We enjoyed the outdoor seating, enjoying a glass of wine or cup of coffee immersed in feeling "like a local."

We were taking a cruise in Cascade Locks and this was a great place to stay. It is somewhat less expensive than the options in Hood River. The handicap room was well equipped with lots of space to move around. The bathroom was adequate for someone in a wheelchair. You get a voucher for breakfast at the restaurant next door where you get to order off a menu. This was a really good breakfast.

We've been here before and I did a review a few years back, so I won't dwell on the obvious things that don't change, like the beautiful location, awesome views and the trains. We enjoyed a spa suite this time and it's everything you'd hope it would be. The tub overlooks the river from the middle of the room, it was large enough for two with plenty of hot water to fill it up fast and soak to your heart's content. Our room was not yet ready as we showed up early, but the friendly staff at the front desk texted me as soon as it was done. The suite was fresh and clean. The TV seemed a bit small, but adequate as it wasn't on much during our stay. The grounds are well maintained, with benches here and there along a pathway that runs the length of the building. Cascade Locks is a fairly small town, but you get the impression that it's situated at the crossroads of commerce. From our room, we could watch large trucks negotiate the narrow bridge, trains passing regularly on the far side of the river and even barges being guided up and downstream. Yet in the midst of all this activity, the BW + Columbia River Inn is an oasis where you can get actually away from it all. We felt that we got a premium room at a fair price in a beautiful location. We would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

We LOVE staying right on the shore of the Columbia River.. with a bird's eye view of the Bridge of the Gods, which crosses over from Oregon to Washington state. We like to get a river view room on one of the top two floors... and just sit out on the deck watching the river , the mountains and the trains , which run along the shore on both sides of the river. If you do not like the sound of trains on the track or of train whistles echoing off the mountains on both sides of the river... then, this is not the place for you... But, if you are like us, and you love those sounds, it's a great place to enjoy them... The rooms are very nice... clean, comfortable beds, refrigerator and microwave.. ... lots of space.. and you can ask for a room with a river view (definitely recommend that, even though it's a bit more cost). Highly recommend this place.. We try to stay there every time we visit the Pacific NW..

Everything was absolutely wonderful. John at the front desk was superb from our conversations by phone through arrival and after. He was so helpful and friendly, as well as providing insights to the area. Our room on the 4th floor had a terrific view of the Bridge of the Gods and the river. The room was perfect; the beds were the best. It was peaceful and quiet. Everyone was outgoing and friendly. The coffee in the lobby is excellent - my granddaughter said we didn't need to look for a Starbucks, because the coffee was"the best". Breakfast at the Bridgeside was so good! Loved the pool, although it could have been a few degrees warmer. I cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay. Everyone and everything about this location was perfect. Thank you all, especially John, for making our stay so enjoyable and memorable

We had a balcony room with great views and the trains weren't bad. Earplugs are provided but we didn't need them. The Bridgeside Restaurant next door provided a great choice of Gluten-free items if asked. And most wonderful was an air-conditioner that kept the room at 69* F when the outside temperature is close to 100*!!!

Our family of six stayed in two adjoining rooms on the first floor overlooking the river. The view was spectacular, and we had plenty of space. Everything was extremely clean, the people at the front desk were all very friendly and helpful. The location was excellent, right next to the Bridge of the Gods and we could walk to several trailheads, Thunder Island, and restaurants nearby. So many things to do just a short drive away. The breakfast was at the restaurant next door so it was a great deal - best free breakfast by far we've ever experienced. We didn't use it but there was a small indoor pool and patio to sit outside. We'd intended to do laundry but there was only one machine and dryer and it was in use when we checked. There are trains that run close by so I would hear them at night - it's not terribly loud but if you're a light sleeper it's good to know. The hotel provided earplugs in each room with the soap, shampoo. I would absolutely stay here if we're visiting the Columbia River Gorge area again.

Casade Locks is a town bypassed by the freeway that is far from a tourist hot spot. This hotel is pretty bland on the outside -- but, when you get in the room, you find yourself immediately overlooking the Columbia River, with reviews that our world-class. Plus, the staff is super friendly, and the included breakfast is a full, freshly cooked breakfast at the restaurant next door. A great find we stumbled into.

My wife and I arrived at the hotel in the late afternoon following a long drive down from Seattle. We were promptly greeted by friendly staff members and provided details regarding the property. Once in the room, we found a fairly standard but spacious room with a nice view of the Columbia River and the Bridge of the Gods. The restaurant next door provided and adequate meal for both dinner that night and free breakfast in the morning. (Be sure to take advantage of the coupon available at the hotel desk for reduced price at the restaurant.) Overall, a pleasant stay.

Convenient location for exploring the Columbia Gorge. Great view of the Cascade Locks and Bridge of the Gods. Very good complementary breakfast at neighboring restaurant. Room clean and spacious. Large bed and comfortable mattress.

Excellent area, close to Mt. Hood, Mt. Saint Helens and other attractions. Beautiful views of the gorge from hotel room. Great hotel for the price. Make sure to visit the Bonneville Damn and locks. Great scenery and very nice people. The breakfasts were excellent.

The location could not be any better! I absolutely love Cascade Locks and the river view from my room and being able to see the Bridge of the Gods was perfect. I had read other people's reviews discussing the railroad tracks and and since I live near railroad tracks I thought they were pretty funny, but I don't think I realized just how busy the tracks were. If you are a light sleeper it might be a bit of an annoyance, but with it being so hot we had the AC going and the tv was on so the sound was muffled. This was also my second stay here and the first time I stayed, my room faced the road and I don't remember being able to hear the train at all. Bummer not having that river view, but then the train noise isn't bad at all. They provided ear plugs, also. We didn't use them, but it's always an option. I had my five month old son and he slept just fine. I would and probably will stay here again.

Our stay was amazing. We had a balcony overlooking the River. Had coffee out there in the morning. Highly recommend that you go. Lovely pool and hot tub. The staff was helpful to answer any questions we had about the area. So much history about the area. The steamboat 5 hour cruise was the best.

Our room had a wonderful view of the river where we could see the river cruise at night. And the room was large and very clean. Breakfast was at the restaurant located right next door, vouchers provided. We took The Bridge of the Gods across to Washington and spent a day over there.

How can you beat the views ? Located along the Columbia River, and next to the Bridge of the Gods. Within walking distance of numerous shops/restaurants. Very pleased with all aspects of our room (with a view). The dining room is spacious and offers great views of the bridge & river, as well as delicious food.

I made a 2 night reservation 6 weeks before arriving, only to find out that the type of room I reserved, and received confirmation for, was not available! What? How does that happen? Very frustrating, especially when you pick a hotel based on the room accommodation.... And beware, the train noise does keep you awake - though they do provide ear plugs! The view is lovely, but again, be sure to verify your room type before driving for 5 hours. :(

The hotel is in a great location to visit the Columbia river gorge. Staff went out of their way to help us and the hotel was in great shape. Breakfast is complimentary at the restaurant next door and was the best hotel breakfast i have had since you just got to select off the menu at the restaurant! I would certainly stay here again.

I have to admit when my husband told me he booked a best western for our anniversary get away, I was slightly concerned. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The view from our room was breathtaking. It was very clean. Pleasantly surprised. Would go back and stay here again for sure!

We stayed as for one night during our family road trip through Oregon . On arrival we were greeted by extremely helpful and friendly front end staff . John checked us in . He was very kind and efficient . We were given a BEAUTIFUL room overlooking the Columbia river as well as the bridge of gods . Absolutely stunning . The room itself was spacious and the beds were very cozy . The train tracks close to the hotel . We did not hear them at all , so please do not make this a deterrent! If you are a light sleeper , the hotel did provide ear plugs in your room complimentary. Breakfast the next morning was in the restaurant next door ! What a treat it was!! Food was fast , fresh, and great selection . (I have posted pictures ) Service was also very friendly as well . This hotel is a must if you are looking for a stop in this area !!!!

We are motorcycle folks and stay at Best Western's frequently since they are biker friendly. This hotel, however, was a pleasant surprise! Not only that, but the free breakfast at the restaurant next door was off the chain!

I stayed there the first time and the staff was very helpful and pleasant. I went to stay there a second time and when i went to verify my reservations, i was told i had booked for the week before. I had booked it on booking.com and they charged me and would not give me a credit to stay the correct dates. I talked with several people and left messages for the managers who never got back to me.

Hotel was super clean and beds were awesome! We had no trouble with the trains and did not use ear plugs. The front desk staff was super informative and gave a great dinner recommendation at Thunder River Brewery. Complimentary breakfast next door was also very good!!!

This was a great hotel to stay at while in Cascade Locks. The staff was outstanding always friendly and there to help if you needed something. The view out your balcony was outstanding. The free breakfast was next door at the Riverside, and it was very good. We also stopped by at night for pie and coffee. The best Pecan pie I have ever had. I must mention the train going by but did not bother us at night. We will be back.

Check in was smooth. Breakfast was at the next-door restaurant and was mediocre to poor. Good location at the river's edge, with a great view. The hotel provided earplugs which was helpful as the train ran by under the window all day and night. Two of the front desk clerks were perfectly pleasant and one was snarky.

Stayed 5 nights. 4th floor room, no view. Very clean. Check-in smooth. Chose this as a base from which to explore Columbia River area thinking we were going to golf at Skamania Lodge across in Stevenson. Cascade Locks, itself, is a tiny town. One very nice grocery/liquor store has pretty much anything you might need. Restaurants are super casual. No fine dining here. Free breakfast included at Bridgeside Restaurant next door. Ample selection and quite good. Stevenson, across the river, is a little larger with more shops and restaurants including the upscale Skamania Lodge. Hood River only 20 minutes further east. Turns out we decided not to golf and to just explore. Room are good size with microwave and fridge. Plenty of storage. 24 hour coffee station in lobby area. Views in rooms on River side of hotel are lovely and unobstructed. An easy drive from Portland airport, maybe 40 minutes. So very convenient from that aspect.

Hubby and I were on a month long road trip and the Columbia River Gorge was one of our stops...stayed here for two days...spacious room on the 4th floor, AWESOME view of the Bridge of the Gods and the Columbia River Gorge from our private balcony....this hotel is clean and the grounds are kept beautiful. The free breakfast Best Western offers is at the restaurant next door(Bridgeside), hands down the best breakfast I've ever eaten from any hotel and I travel extensively...stay here, you won't regret!

We stayed in a king room with a view. Although we didn't have a balcony or patio we had a big window with a beautiful view of the Columbia River. We watched barges and paddle boats float by. The bed was a little soft for us. Vouchers for breakfast at the Bridgeside Restaurant were provided. We ordered off a special menu with a good variety to choose from. The food was good. The hotel is located near the Multnomah Falls and next to the Bridge of the Gods. We will definitely stay at this hotel again.

Loved everything about this place. Large very clean rooms with an awesome view. Fabulous included breakfast at the attached restaurant. There is train noise but this did not bother us (they provide ear plugs in the rooms). Would stay again in a heartbeat!

We recently had the pleasure of a night at BW Columbia River Inn. The location was really excellent. It's right on the banks of the Columbia River, and just below the Bridge of the Gods. If you can swing a room on the river side (there is an extra fee for that side of the hotel), the views are pretty striking. Some rooms even have balconies to sit out and enjoy the view. If you're on more of a budget, there is an outside deck available to all guests with tables and chairs, and the lovely view. The staff was particularly friendly here, and really acted like they cared. Also, the complimentary breakfast is one of the best! You get a voucher to eat at the adjoining restaurant. Would definitely stay here again. The only negative I can think of is that a train does go by with occasional noise (never bothered us), but complimentary ear plugs are in the rooms if you are a light sleeper.

The included breakfast was outstanding. The trains did not disrupt my sleep. We had the family room with a king and two queens, which worked well for the four of us. The fridge andeas microwave and complimentary coffee and hot chocolate were great for feasting on leftovers and fresh fruit from the local stands.

The staff at the. front desk were exceptionally nice and accommodating. We asked for a quiet room facing the Columbia River and it was peaceful, well appointed and comfortable. Breakfast is included in the room rate and you can order from a boxed section of the menu. There is a nice selection of choices and service was very good. This is a place we will stay at again when in the area. The pool overlooks the Columbia River and is kept warm enough to be comfortable and with that view is a relaxing experience.

Very clean property,great staff, full breakfast in the restaurant next door is included. Room 207 has a great view of the bridge of the gods. Will definitely stay here again. Nice quiet little town. Only a few choices of restaurants but all are in walking distance.

We stayed here for one night whilst travelling around the PNW. The Hotel is located just off the I84, next to the river and overlooking the Bridge of the Gods. We were greeted warmly by the reception staff and check in was pretty quick. They were happy to tell us about the different dining options in the area (not too many) and what time they closed (pretty early). Our room was on the lower floor, with a small patio overlooking the bridge and the river. It was spacious enough with 2 queen beds and a good size bathroom. Everything was nice and clean too. There was free coffee available near reception, as well as the in room coffee machine. Laundry facilities were available, (and pretty much right outside our door), but there was only one washer and one dryer so it could take some waiting to get your laundry done. Powder was available at the front desk as usual. The Hotel didn't serve breakfast itself but gave you a coupon for a free breakfast at the Bridgeside Restaurant next door. They had a very limited breakfast menu but we both really enjoyed our short stack of pancakes with bacon and syrup. The view of the bridge and river here is also great. Trains. Yes, there is a freight train track that runs directly alongside the Hotel, between it and the river. I found it to be a bit of a novelty and enjoyed hearing them coming past. I wasn't woken by them at all during the night and I didn't even use the free earplugs provided in room by the Hotel.

Have not stayed in any Best Western for a long time! This Plus location was very nice, clean, comfortable and the was courteous and helpful!! The view of the Gorge and the Bridge of the Gods was amazing. I have read other reviews complaining about train noise.. they provide ear plugs if you want but we didn't even notice the trains. Centrally located with easy access to hiking, scenery (which is breathtaking), mountains, and wineries.. Breakfast is provided next door at restaurant.

We stayed for two nights in a suite with a river view and loved the place. It's 20 mins west of Hood township but right on a narrow part of the Columbia River with a great view of the swirling currents passing under the Bridge of the Gods right next to the hotel. The Fish Hatchery and the Multnomah falls are just down the road. The hotel staff were all extremely freiendly and helpful with our questions. The room was large with two king beds, couch, table and small balcony to sit and watch the river and vessels pass by. Very comfortable beds. Car park is very close to entrance The room was very clean and functional. The 24 hour laundry down stairs was also a plus. Sure, the trains pass right in front and below the rooms but they were never an issue with sleeping at night. Definitely a place on our list to return to.

No better place to have your room overlook the Columbia River Gorge. Restaurants close by and the scenery is dynamite! There are many trains following the river, but was not a problem at all. People are very friendly. The Bridge of the Gods is at hand to cross to Washington, if you wish.

The location of this Best Western, in the Columbia Gorge right on the banks of the Columbia Rriver, is stuning. Our room was lovely, very clean & comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on our little balcony watching the sun set & night come over the mountians & river.

Being quiet people who work a lot, we take short vacations when we can. This hotel is our "go To" destination. Rooms overlooking the river have patios or balconies. The rooms are a generous size, and well appointed. The pool and spa are great. The views can't be beat. The staff are attentive. And the complimentary breakfast has moved to the restaurant next door offering restaurant style choices. We couldn't be more pleased.

The staff was wonderful!! The facility was clean and totally updated. The view of the gorge was beautiful. Breakfast at the BridgeInn was amazing. I would highly recommend this property. The town is quaint, everyone was very friendly.

We enjoyed a large room with a balcony, which overlooked the Columbia River. The sunsets, with the ever-changing colors reflecting in the water, were lovely. There is an abundance of freight traffic on the river and on the rails on both sides of the river. Interesting entertainment, while we were in our room. The hotel staff is very welcoming. We would drive out of our way to stay at the Best Western Plus in Cascade Locks.

My wife and I decided to stay at this hotel on our way from Portland to Boise and we were very happy with every part of our stay. The staff members took very good care of us. We paid a fair price here. Our room was big and spacious and clean. And the hotel is easily accessible from I-84 at Exit 44. And the hotel is right on the Columbia River and the views are spectacular. We will definitely return to this location

We stayed one night in a king bed jacuzzi room. The staff was very welcoming, pleasant and helpful. Views were spectacular, wi-fi was great, also had a large screen TV, and a comfortable area for sitting. Pool and hot tub area was very clean and pool temperature was perfect, not too cold, just right for exercising. Breakfast at the excellent restaurant next door is included. Will definitely be back again

Best Western is such a great chain of hotels. Its a clean hotel w/business amenites but no special plug ins in your room to charge your electronics. The breakfast,off site at nearby restaurant, still is sub par and inconvenient although the view is amazing. The staff vary in personality which varies the service.

My husband and I stayed here for just one night after a wedding in Stevenson Washington. The hotel was great! Good location, quiet and clean. Our only issue with our room was that the shower head functioned badly. The water was half on spray and half on dribble. We did not mention to the staff as we only stayed one night and just took a shower the morning of our departure. The work out facility is small, not many machines. The breakfast was delicious! I had biscuits and gravy and my husband had pancakes with ham.

My 2 young kids and I weren't able to get out as much due to terrible weather, but the hotel was perfect. Between the pool and the amazing view we still had a blast. The staff were friendly and helpful and genuinely cared about how we were doing! I can't wait to go back!

We loved the hotel,we were wary of train noise others had complained about but it was a non issue for us. The staff and facilities were excellent. We stayed on top floor facing out towards river.The bed was comfortable and we got a restful nights sleep.We enjoyed gazing out from small deck at the the Columbia river gorge.We will definitely be back again to explore golf courses across the river and relax in a room with fantastic views.

Despite a 40 minute drive to Portland, I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else when I come to town. Gorgeous area and views from hotel are superb. Staff is amazing, restaurant next door under new management and is great, Rooms are clean, comfortable and well appointed. This is a true Beat Western Plus.

very clean and nice. We had a river view, and there is a nice walking path for walking the dog or just taking a stroll. Had dinner in the lounge-excellent. Breakfast was great. I would highly recommend.

This was an absolutely beautiful property and our room overlooked the Columbia River. I have to say, though, that the best part of this place was their staff. They knew the fun local places to check out, and great nearby restaurants (I'm looking at you, Susan, Mireya, Priscilla - you guys were the BEST). The other perk about this hotel is the free breakfast. This is not your average breakfast, people. This breakfast is the real deal. And it's free. And for our smoker friends who don't necessarily want a smoking room, the Best Western provides a nice covered patio just for you. For me, this place was worth every penny and I can't wait to take another trip to one of the most beautiful parts of Oregon.

The staff was great and super nice and helpful. We arrived around 11 pm, having flown in from Hawaii. The room was clean and nice. A few things - the tv service wasn't working, and the front desk was super helpful and responsive trying to fix it. The biggest drawback was the noise from the train the occurred throughout the day and night.

Nice hotel with beautiful views to the river, excellent service, very nice and clean, swimming pool and hot tub was nice after a hiking trip to the mountains. The food at the restaurants was so good, quick service, big plates, food was so yummy!

Had a wonderful stay in a top floor balcony Columbia River view room. Watch your step if you use the in door pool; the cement small rock flooring around pool is like walking on glass and over all very unpleasant. The pool water was fresh and warm thou!

Our stay was brief but the Best Western is clean and comfortable. The beds were comfortable and the room bathroom was very clean. The staff checking us in was very nice even though we did not arrive until very late. They answered all our questions and were very courteous. The fresh coffee in the morning was delicious and fresh!!

came back for a 2nd visit we love this hotel! last year we were on 4th floor this year on the 1st floor (river view both times) I did not notice any difference re: train noise. rooms are always extremely clean. the beds are outstanding. the front desk are very friendly . free breakfast is good. the views of the river and the Bridge of Gods is awesome. we will leave monday morning to go home. as a retired Travel Agent I can highly recommend this hotel

This is an outstanding hotel! I stayed here several years ago and did not recognize it this time. It has undergone extensive renovation from top to bottom and inside to outside. It looks like a new hotel. The rooms are large, clean, new furniture including comfortable beds. As a retired airline pilot have have stayed in many hotels and this one is as nice as any I've stayed in! The staff is very friendly and helpful. It has an indoor pool, spa and fitness room. Hot breakfast at the cafe next door is included. I plan to stay here every time I pass through the Columbia Gorge. Dining nearby is rather limited. Even so, I highly recommend it! You will not be disappointed.

Just spent two night stay at this BW and loved it! Situated right along the beautiful Colombia River, with the Bridge of the Gods to the left, we were privy to soaring eagles, snow falling, just about magical. We had a nice size King bed, with a sitting area, microwave, small frig, we faced the road, but looking out you could see downtown, snow falling, pine trees shimmering...we took our dog too. Staff was exceptional, from greeting us as we stepped into the lobby, fussing over our dog, timeliness of house keeping, oh, did i mention the room comes with breakfast right next door at Bridge Gate??Highly recommend.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. the rooms were up-to-date and very clean. Location was very scenic This is very good value for the price. The entire state was very relaxing and everyone was friendly and willing to go out of the way to help.

Kind of got confused and thought there were two BW in Hood River. This is NOT. Its 20 miles West. Location is pretty nice (staff said the views were better than Hood River. Super clean and great firm bed. A bit "spooked" by the ear plugs with the amenities in the room and the train tracks outside but we slept with the window open and were not bothered at all. I kind of had the impression that they might have stopped for the night. Much quieter than road or airport noise. Its kind of fun to watch them go past on the far shore of the River and they go pretty slow, the engines aren't working hard, and they don't blow the whistle. Dinner options are limited but the pub down the street was quiet and the food was very good. Hood River was fun to walk around in the daytime, and maybe stay for an evening meal, but the motel in Cascade Locks was great.

Stayed here by accident when my wife got in a car accident this winter on 84. Great staff, Soo friendly and accommodating! The rooms are big, modern and have nice views. Great location close to town and the highway. Really clean and breakfast was taken care of at a cool little diner right next door

Thank you John for your extreme friendliness and courtesy checking us in when we stopped in Cascade Locks. Everything was as we expected but John made it even more comfortable. The cute restaurant next to the Best Western was quite nice also and the Best Western will definitely accommodate you as they do not have a restaurant internally nor the breakfast area except by going next door. Nevertheless, it was quite nice!

We stayed during a snow storm and was pleasantly surprised. We experienced helpful and friendly staff and a comfy room. The hotel provided ear plugs which I think was for the trains but they didn't bother us. The kids loved to watch them go by. The breakfast was very good and large portions. They even brought us containers to take items with us. We will stay here again if the occasion arises.

We stayed Christmas weekend here with 5 family members and we all enjoyed this Best Western. Great service, comfortable beds, and beautiful views. Access to the Bridge of the Gods and the Pacific Crest Trail make this a great base for Oregon and Washington adventures. Oh and free breakfast!

You can't beat the views at this place of the Columbia river. The grounds are very pretty. The staff were helpful and happy to see our dogs. The beds were comfortable and the wifi was fast. I love that they put the dog rooms on the first floor for convenience. Will visit again in the future.

Here you can listen to the sounds of trains on distant tracks, watch wildlife and river traffic all from the comfort of your room.

Great location in Cascade Locks and the Gorge. An easy walk to Thunder Island Brewing Company. Great dinner there. Bridgeside Restaurant for breakfast had great views of the Bridge of the Gods. Great comfortable rooms. River View rooms had train noise but ear plugs provided. Great views......

On One side of the Hotel you have the Beautiful Mountains and so many trains. On the other side was the Gorgeous Columbia Gorge River. The Suite we were blessed with for the Wonderful Holiday trip that we were on, was absolutely Awesome. I shared a room with my mother. So we each had our own large bed. There were 2 sinks, 2 TV's, a Sitting area, coffee/tea maker, hair dryer, mini frig, microwave, ample room for guests should we have any, and our complimentary breakfast each morning was fabulous at the Bridge Side Restaurant next door. Loved it all!

The hotel was good in every way. The rooms were excellent, spacious and clean with all the amenities required. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was included which was next door in the Bridgeside Restaurant and served a choice of hot food, cooked to order. Very good. So good we went there at night as they sold great beer, great food, with lovely views of the river and bridge. There was an outside eating area, but it was a bit cold while we were there. You can also walk a little further to the Thunder Mountain Brewery which has a good selection of beer and food, or Cascade Locks Ale House is a few minutes walk but didn't try this one. Would certainly stay here again if I was in this area and would recommend.

We spent only one night at this hotel, hoping to see the nearby falls (unfortunately closed due to fires). The hotel is not too far east of Portland, and is right on the Columbia River next to the Bridge of the Gods. The fall foliage made it a beautiful setting. The room was comfortable and spotless and had a balcony overlooking the river. Breakfast was delicious at the restaurant next door on a voucher from the hotel. One caveat - there are train tracks running along the river so if you are a light sleeper you may mind the train traffic - they do supply ear plugs and it really wasn't a problem during our stay. Overall we loved this location and plan to return in a year or two to visit the famous falls!

My husband and I spent 4 nights here on a visit to the Colombia River Gorge. The hotel is in a lovely location for touring the area. The rooms are big and newly remodeled with comfortable mattresses. We had a king room with a balcony overlooking the river and the Bridge of the Gods. So gorgeous and relaxing to watch the traffic go past on the river. The trains did not bother us at all. There is a free breakfast at the adjacent restaurant. It was very good and a perfect start to the day.

Easy on and off of freeway if you are just stopping for the night. Best pet friendly hotel we have ever stayed at. Restaurant was extremely good and very accommodating. Dog walk area clean and well kept. Hotel was a top 10 in every way, we will always choose this property while travelling from Canada to California and return.

It was a great place to stay. The room was really nice with great view and balcony. The location was great as well. There is train rail next to the hotel which makes noise. It doesn't matter which room you are since it was very close to the hotel. Staffs are wonderful, nice and charming. our only problem was breakfast. we thought it would be buffet similar to most of Best Western hotels, but it was not. They will give you a voucher that you can eat your breakfast in the restaurant next to the hotel. But you have limited choice for breakfast and you need to pay for eating out of menu for Best Western Hotel.

My husband and I did a little road trip from California to Oregon to hike Multnomah Falls with my sister and boyfriend. Although, we couldn't do it due to the fires that happened months ago making roads and hike trails closed. We still had fun doing other hikes across in Washington State, trying restaurants and breweries as well. But having a great place to stay made it worthwhile. This is the Best BW I had ever stayed in. Rooms were cleaned, beds were comfortable, a little balcony to enjoy the nice views of the river, at the lobby you will find coffee, tea, hot chocolate 24 hours. I like the indoor pool and the exercise room. Staff were courteous and helpful. And, I liked that breakfast was included. Thank you for making my staying great, however, I chose the wrong month to visit, it was raining.

My disabled BFF and I stayed 2 nights and were very pleased with the entire makeup of the hotel.The front desk personnel and house cleaning went above and beyond making sure our stay was nothing less than wonderful and it was! Great, stylish, and comfy room and beds! Breakfast couldn't have been better! Only the best in everything! We will look for Best Western in all future travel plans.

This facility is excellent (if you like trains and rivers). The Bridge of the Gods is visible from any river-side room. The motel offers ear plugs if the trains might keep you awake all night (which they don't(, LOVED it.

This hotel had a great location and the room had new furniture which was beautiful. The staff at the front desk were all very nice and the Manager shook our hands and thanked us for coming. My only regret is that I didn't spend the extra money to upgrade our room to a river view. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and the food was great. Best experience I have ever had at a Best Western. Don't let that name concern you! The breakfast is a food voucher for a restaurant next door. Highly recommend the breakfast! Great view and great food at that restaurant.

I spent two weeks at this hotel on business. The rooms are large, comfortable and clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I did have a room on the parking lot side of the hotel. The rooms with a river view may be a bit noisier with the train passing on that side. Overall excellent stay.

We were driving from Leavenworth, WA to the gorge, and picked this hotel for a one night's stay. The manager, Kristin was a ray of sunshine on a very rainy day. Best Western, you are lucky to have her as an employee.

Rate too high for value received. Rooms are noisy, lots of sound coming from hallways and many trains in the night. Hotel in wonderful location, The views out the river side are incredible. great historical pictures in the rooms. Needs to be remodeled or rates lowered.

Rooms overlooking Columbia River and Bridge Of The Gods. We had a balcony room which was well worth it. Fitness centre and pool were in good condition and clean. Reception staff were extremely helpful, friendly and welcoming.

Very nice accommodations-clean, well maintained property. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Room had a great view of the Columbia River as well as Bridge of the gods. WIFI signal was strong and worked well.

We stayed in the river view room and loved it! The service was great, the people are very friendly, and the views...stunning. We plan on returning in the future. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone. Especially if you're looking to get away from the craziness.

I stay at hotels all over the NW and judge the others by the Columbia River Inn. No better staff, large clean rooms, and a reasonable rate. You do have trains that run every hour that you can hear the rumbling, but if you keep your window closed, it is not a problem even for the lightest sleeper.

Great friendly staff. Stayed here for 10 days while working. Staff was great rooms were clean and adequate. The view of the river is great but the train noise is a little loud. If you stay on the opposite side of the building the noise is quieter but you can't see river.

This veiws are fabulous, the Customer service was the best, the little extras made it all perfect! We enjoy our mini vacation very very very much! We will definately come back, infact I am scheduling another trip there soon!

This hotel is very nice. The beds are really comfy and the view is spectacular. The breakfast is high quality and the staff is wonderful. Be aware that the rooms with the view gets a little train noise but it's not bad. The hotel provides ear plugs just in case you are a light sleeper.

Great view in the gorge of the Columbia river, breakfast at the next door restaurant and as with most Best Westerns, pet friendly for a small fee. Open patio seating next to pool on the second story looks over the river for great sunset/sunrise seating. Walkway in back connects to main city sidewalks for great pet walking and views!

This has to be one of the best hotels we have stayed at. We had a river view room and could sit out on the balcony and watch the paddle wheel boat go buy, and the trains were great, yes a bit noisy but who cares. We did not use the ear plugs Breakfast was next door and again was great. Had dinner at a local brewery, We would go again in a minute!

Spent one night, should have booked two or more. Just a few hundred yards east of the Bridge of the Gods. Nice views of the Columbia river and the bridge. Check-in was easy, very nice counter personnel. Room was as advertised: 2 queen beds, small balcony, river view. Clean, comfortable; perfect for a couple (or a couple plus one). The only drawback was noisy children (assumed by running, everywhere) in room above definitely not motel's fault -- Suggestion: bottom floor balcony units assigned to families with children - safer and noise would not bother other guests. There were a couple of trains passing at nite -- short, not a problem. Ample parking (free); free breakfast to order off limited menu at restaurant next door. Other amenities as descibed on BW website. Because of the fires there were many responders staying at this site but everything seemed to be running smoothly. I would definitely recommend this Best Western and stay here again.

The hotel is newly renovated and very clean. The staff is probably the friendliest we encountered during our week long vacation. The view of the Columbia river is breath taking from the balcony off the room!

Stayed here in way out of town after working in the area. Very nice hotel and the staff was great. Hotel was clean and beds comfortable. Overlooks the Columbia river and sits right next to the Bridge of gods. This hotel and staff were great during the recent forest fire near by.

Everything at this motel is perfect. Employees are outstanding the rooms are comfortable and the breakfast is great. I feel like Im at home every time I stay there. I have stayed there a lot and have never had any problems.

Our river facing room was lovely however the location (near the train track) and the spiders on the balcony kept us from using it. When I say the spiders on the balcony... I don't mean one or two.... But dozens!! We did call and asked if anything could be done about the spider issue and they sent the housekeeper up with a bottle of " Febreze" to kill them. The lovely housekeeping lady did her best with the bottle of Febreeze and a towel but there were just too many to combat without some heavy duty Raid (which apparently the hotel did not have) I'm sure the spider issue has something to do with the time a year we were there and that the balcony light would not go off. However , I regret that we paid the extra money for a balcony we could not use during our entire stay Unfortunately we checked into the Best Western Plus Columbia River just as the eagle creek wildfire started and the air conditions deteriorated quickly so we checked out a day early. I would love to give this best western another try due to its location was beautiful....but I would have to bring my own can of raid next time

We met friends at this property for the beginning of a an 8 day trip in the Northwest, this property was exceptional we had a most comfortable stay. The view from our room of the Columbia River and the Bridge of the God's was outstanding. The room was clean, comfortable and well appointed. We would definately stay at this property again when traveling in the area, All of the staff were friendly and most hospitable.

Love the staff at this location, Kristi ROCKS !! We unfornately encountered the Eagle Fire.... Level 3 evacuation at 5:30 am!!! Staff was calm and had muffins, water, chocolate milk etc. available as a boxed morning snack. Love this LOCATION..

This place is right next to the columbia river. Our ground floor room had a patio opening which was steps away from the river.. There was a live band at one of the restaurant bars. The breakfast patio is a beautiful location for a sunny morning and they do serve some delicious breakfast. We would visit again and highly recommend to our friends.

A very nice room and great river front location right next to The Bridge of the Gods! If you want to see waterfalls there are many in the area and they just minutes away! from this Hotel! The room was surprisingly quiet considering it sits right next to the rail tracks, we really didn't hear the trains. There is a cute little family run Pizza restaurant just down the street with 10 kinds of beer on tap and Jacuzzi tub was large enough for both of us to relax after a long day of sightseeing. There is an excellent zip line that we also took in just minutes from this hotel.

after the first of four nights, the hotel and town was evacuated suddenly at 11:30pm due to the encroaching, massive Eagle Creek forest fire -- which affected much of Northern Oregon and Southern Washington. Was billed for the entire planned four-night stay.

We stayed at the BW for two nights, to be near the many falls, hiking trails, Bonneville Dam and sternwheeler cruise. It is clean, comfortable and perfectly located. The free breakfast is at the Bridgeview restaurant next door and overlooking the river, and it was wonderful.

Right on the Columbia River. If you want to be able to stare at the water and sleep soundly, this is the place. Wifi works very well. And the breakfast offered at the restaurant next door for hotel guests is very good.

We reserved a room overlooking the Columbia River and it was wonderful. Not only was the room very large (two sinks), but we had a view of the Bridge of the Gods and mountains right off our balcony. The pool and jacuzzi were much needed after a long drive. Nice restaurant next door and a ticket to breakfast. Hiking nearby. Pet friendly with a very nice pet area to walk our dog. Room very clean. The staff were so friendly and made us feel right at home. AAA+++

Our party of 6 stayed here for 3 nights in July. We had two rooms. The room with two queen beds had a view of the Columbia River. The room with the king had a view of the parking lot (it was a bit noisy one morning with a truck making a delivery, but it was tolerable). The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The kids enjoyed the free hot chocolate and the indoor swimming pool. Breakfast is included at the restaurant next door. The breakfast options were tasty. You can upgrade your breakfast option and pay the difference, but we were happy with the free options. There's a guest laundry room with only one washing machine and dryer (top loaders). During our stay, the washing machine was broken. That was a downer, but right across the street is a motel with a laundry room with about 8 washing machines and driers (all side loaders). When we return to the area, we will be staying here again.

I can't say enough for this picturesque setting. We loved the in room spa, view of the river and free breakfast at the restaurant next door. I grew up next to a train track so the sound of the train was a soothing lullaby for us. We enjoyed watching the barges Kobi and the fishing boats on the river. Great view of the bridge of the gods and entire expanse of the Columbia river here. The staff are more than helpful and friendly. From the minute we arrived to the time we left we were spoiled. Great hospitality. They did it right all the way around from the amenities to the towels. Sitting outside around since it was so relaxing we could've stayed here for days. Very nice!!!
