We were very happy with BW in Campton NH. The room was clean , bed was very comfortable , good breakfast , very large attractive lounge area and dog friendly. Ran out of time so we did not get to use the indoor pool. We would definitely recommend this hotel.
When I was checked in, walked in to find someone elses things in the room. Said they must have mixed up the two numbers. I get mistakes happen and was running late so asked for a new room. Said that was the last king so not sure how they messed up 2 similar bookings with only 1 room left... Luckily they werent in there when I walked in but found out later after meeting couple they were never even told that someone else had access to their room while they werent in there. As a solo traveler, felt very unsafe here and hotel staff didnt seem to understand how unsafe that could have been ended up in a dirty double queen with random markings on lamps, pillow cases. travel with my own luckily. breakfast was mediocre, internet is free but slow. both rooms had a slight mildew scent & little red bugs flying around. also a vent covered in cobwebs behind sink that opened to crawlspace behind room. very odd. Great bathroom lighting though Overall wouldn't recommend to any one if they have other options to stay. Ended up not sleeping here the 2nd night of my reservation and just picked up my stuff at check out.
We had trouble with the bathtub. After our showers there was about 6 inches of standing water in the tub. Told staff and they said it would be fixed when we returned from dinner. The water was gone but the clog was still there. We were given another room but it is a hassle to move after you have settled in your room
Great location for our needs / family visit Food & coffee were only fair Desk greeting was as if we were disturbing the quiet As Platinum members there was no acknowledgement or welcome ....... The Entrance C door needs bleach on the walkway to resolve AC drain 'green algae' on walkway
Clean room, fast and convenient check-in, and convenient room and bed. I could park my car right in front of my room window. There is no elevator for the second floor or I didnt see it (my room was on the first floor). The breakfast was good and fresh. I didnt much like the breakfast serving area. Some front desk staff were friendly and helpful. There was of damp and earthy smell in the room and the common area. There were snack and ice vending machines in the common areas.
Both owner and staff are wonderful people. This hotel consistently exceeds expectations and constantly delivers a great guest experience.
It was old and tired and now been transformed to be modern, clean and comfortable . Also vey friendly staff.I have never given a full 5=star review! This is it the Ritz but is excellent for travelers!
My wife and I drove up from the Boston area to attend a wedding. It should be noted the hotel had set aside a considerable number of rooms for the wedding guests. As is the case across the hospitality industry, we were fully aware that check-in is at 3pm. Our plan was to stop at the hotel and go off and have lunch. Upon arrival before 1pm, we asked if our room was ready. Much to our surprise, the room was good to go. But we were told that early check- in comes with an additional charge of twenty five dollars an hour. Given that the room was ready, short of corporate greed, I don't fully understand the concept. A little flexibility or a little common sense might have left me with a more favorable impression.
Our room was upgraded upon checking in which was unexpected and greatly appreciated. This hotel was very quiet, clean, and had super friendly staff. It was the perfect location for my husband and I.
Every staff member I dealt with was super friendly and helpful. I called to extend our stay and although they could not guarantee the same type room through Best Western booking, when I arrived the front desk was aware of the situation and upgraded us to a suite to accommodate us and create a seamless stay.
Excellent hotel with friendly staff, delicious breakfast, fun arcade, affordable, and very comfortable.
The price was good for this hotel. Nice indoor pool and the staff was courteous, friendly and helpful
I took a couple of extra days for a wedding. All was Very Good to Excellent. The staff was knowledgeable about the area. Everyone wanted to be sure my stay was pleasurable.
This place was angling for a five-star review. I needed a quick weekend getaway and the Campton NH location was perfect, right off the interstate, a "pet room" for little Lucy for a not terrible price, $102 before taxes. I arrived looking forward to a relaxing evening. And then ... the avuncular yet a bit smarmy desk clerk tells me I owe another $25 for my dog. I explain to both him and the morning clerk, that is a bait-and-switch sale -- abject fraud. Back home writing this I'm burdened with trying to get my $25 back with a complaint to Best Western corporate ... angry at myself for not just sneaking my dog in the room. You can imagine what I will do the next time.
Quick Clean Profesional. Front Desk Girl was very pleasant at check-in and checkout. Breakfast attendant keeps everything stocked and fresh and clean. I asked for a little late checkout and all were accommodating.
My husband & I went to Waterville Valley for an event delivery this past weekend. At first glance hotel looks pretty nice and parking is limited. The front desk told us they have Truck (Semi) parking... they do NOT. Rooms were clean and very roomy (we had a king), the pillows were small and go flat easily, the bathrooms were newly tiled (in a rush over old stuff) and tub has very old plumbing with poor water pressure. Breakfast was ok if no other choice around and you didn't mind kids from hockey teams cutting in front of you playing with cooking equip and food and leaving messes. We decided to pay for a breakfast at Mad River coffee House (food was excellent and pple very nice but more of a hangout place). Staff at hotel very nice and guy who works in breakfast rm also doing 100 other jobs for the hotel and works 14-20 hours every day. He's a hard worker and does everything with a great attitude. He keeps the pool clear and the pool is kept at 80 deg. Sauna small but functional. Overall ok hotel. not a 4 or 5 start but better than a 2.
Room was clean and checkin staff was pleasant. But my room overlooked a pool area where a large group was having a party - pool noise is one thing but blasting music, drunk adults is another. The pool didn't look welcoming to other families and the noise was above and beyond. Once they left the pool (after the declared quiet hours) the unattended kids ran the hallways, yelling for their friends. If you need a nights sleep you may want to look elsewhere.
Good value for the price. The breakfast was pretty good and staff were friendly. Location is great/within 20 minutes of several ski resorts. Indoor pool and sauna was a nice touch. Room was comfortable and clean.
The room was clean, nice and confortable. I had a very nice night in a calm and quiet hotel. a full breakfast is offered with eggs, potatoes and bacon but without whole grain bread available. The staff is very welcoming.
This is a great hotel. Located conveniently to all of the central area towns. Easy to fid, park, and great roos. Clean facility with excellent amenities. Great breakfast. Highly recommend. Covered bridge a quarter mile away is worth the drive thru!
Awful experience here, highly recommend a different hotel in the area. I was put in a room that smelled so bad like mold I had to move, then the room the moved me to had an unsightly brown goo/stain on the ground (photo included) and there was no hot water! Staff was rude, management was terrible to deal with.
No hot water, no help from staff. Very disappointed with the overall level of customer support. Had 2 rooms left and went to another hotel in the area to allow us to take a hot shower. Had zero communication from hotel after repeated request to speak to management.
This hotel was great value for the money. Room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was an nice bonus. The staff was friendly and attentive. I would recommend this location and would stay again!
Facilities were excellent. Staff were incredibly professional and welcoming. We were so impressed with the staff and the quality of the facility. The front desk staff and the gentleman working the breakfast area were pleasant and upbeat. We were quite impressed.
To begin with, I have been coming to this hotel since the late 70's when it was a Holiday Inn. I was a college student up the road and we would come by to go dancing when their lounge had a band. I have stayed here almost every last weekend in August since the early 90's. It had many names over that period. The Current Best Western is BY FAR, the best incarnation of this hotel. It's been renovated top to bottom. Gone are the musty rugs and dark hallways. The renovation has added a game room, expanded the cafe with an additional room with a fireplace. The whole place is now a damn fine hotel. The cleaning staff wears uniforms and the front desk staff, in fact ALL the staff are pleasant and professional. The complimentary breakfast has even been “rehabbed” and is above average as far as free hotel breakfasts go. One thing that hasn't changed is Yiao, the cheery fellow who has been working there at least 14 years. He is at breakfast every morning to greet you with a warm good morning and sometimes even a song. A great value for a great place. We'll be back next August without hesitation.
This hotel is excellent. One of the best breakfast buffets I have had. Loved the open sitting area which was also an area you can eat breakfast in. Appreciated the coffee all day. Very clean and inviting. The room was large , clean, attractive with a comfortable bed. Yes, there were a few chips or dings on the wall but that will happen as people are not careful when moving around.
Friendly staff: frond dest & breakfast server. There are game machine in the lobby. Common space is very cosy, very clean. Parking is not a problem. Saw some family with kids there. Pool available in summer time.
Got a double queen room for 3 people, it was very comfortable and had modern furniture/appliances, but make sure to bring cash for their vending machines, no card option or ATM available. The hotel was very clean, breakfast was good, their staff were kind and went out of their way to help us. The pool opened an hr before we had to leave, was a bit cold, but the sauna afterwards was great!
We needed a hotel that was convenient to the highway and have stayed here several times. The location is perfect, the staff is very pleasant and accommodating. The breakfast is simple, but we don't need much. And there is a great restaurant. Call the Covered Bridge across the street farm to table
My family and I enjoyed a 4 night stay at the BW. The beds were comfy, the wifi was speedy, the AC was cranking, breakfast was good, and the staff was friendly. The daily drop off towels was appreciated. Kids enjoyed the pool. Not much in walking distance ... but plenty of places to eat and visit within a short car ride.
A great hotel at the foot of the White Mountains. Extremely clean. Top notch staff who like their jobs. The breakfast was great with a good assortment of items. Ciao works in the breakfast area and he is truly an asset to the establishment. Has a can-do attitude and greets all with a smile and a personality second to none. Rooms are very clean, and bedding is comfortable. Have stayed here before and will definitely stay in the future. A great restaurant across the street (Covered Bridge Farm Table) has great food, entertainment and casual atmosphere.
Best staff I've ever encountered in a hotel. I look forward to every trip in New hampshire staying at the best western plymouth. Hotel is clean, accommodating, and friendly. Geographic location is convenient to all surrounding activities of your liking
What a quaint little gem in the White Mountains! We came for a wedding in the area, and we were pleasantly surprised that it was updated. The staff was so friendly! The gentleman at the check-in told me it's always a good day, and the breakfast attendant was always hard at work and singing a song. I would definitely stay here again!
Had some bumps but the manager made things right so I've got nothing but overall good things to say. The bed was the most comfortable I've slept in on the road for sure. Bathroom was spotless. Breakfast was superb and the man who serves it is awesome and is always singing and happy.
I would give this hotel 2.5 stars. Our housekeeper must have had dark hair because there was hair in our tub & on a pillow. We were put in the last room at the end of the hallway by entry door “C”. It was so loud every time someone came in/out. We kept flip flops on in the room because it didn't feel clean. Good breakfast. Reasonably priced through Expedia.
Clean, well maintained, staff was very helpful, good breakfast and reasonably priced! It was the most affordable hotel in the area. The location was convenient. I felt safe and comfortable staying at this hotel!
Our room looked very fresh and clean. We had all the standard amenities we've grown to expect from a hotel. We slept good, had breakfast and went on our way. There is a great restaurant right across the road next to the covered bridge. Check in and check out was easy. Staff was friendly.
Great hotel right off the highway! Hotel room comfy and clean. Refrigerator, coffee and microwave in room. ‘Fan only' option to drown out noises along with heat and air conditioning. Free breakfast in the morning that was delicious! Eggs, home fries, sausage, bacon, yogurt, breads, pancakes, cereal, muffins, pastries, juice and coffee. Great restaurant within walking distance. Outdoor fire pit with option to buy wood bundle at the front desk. Pool, game room, and sitting area. Nice staff. Loved it!
Cleanest hotel. I'm the type that comes in to a hotel armed with disinfectant wipes, spray, the whole shebang. There's usually some sort of grime to be cleaned up. Not here. The rooms were pristine! I was super impressed. The hotel staff was accommodating and kind. Definitely recommend staying here.
We love this location! This was our second time staying here within the past year. The hotel is updated and clean and the rooms are comfortable! The staff is top notch, especially David who was there both times we stayed. The daily breakfast is delicious and a nice way to start the day before a day of skiing. We anticipate visiting again in early March. Can't wait!
Turquoise Bay is an amazing place to stay! Our group included 9 divers and 1 non-diver. The staff was unbelievable. They were always there to help and we didn't need to lift a finger. The food was delicious and was served buffet style. There was a food theme every evening. If you didn't like one thing, something else was available. Fish and seafood were generally on the menu with classic island classic dishes as well. The last night one of our group members asked if we could buy lobsters and have them cooked for us. Of course the chef was happy to do it for us. They even set up a special table outside on the patio with linen and other amenities to make it special. Shaina from guest relations joined us and printed 2 pictures of the group that she had taken and added them to the table. It was an amazing celebration of a wonderful week together. The diving was also very good. A storm came in and there were 2 days that a the seas were rougher. Not to worry as they drove us 20 minutes by bus to the owners house, with dive facilities, on the other side of the island where things were calm. They brought the boats over to us (a 4 hour trip for them). They even brought a buffet lunch for us. We were happy to tip everyone daily as they don't earn a lot but work 12 hour days. Not one person in our group was unhappy which tells you a lot. Six of us had an ocean view room close to everything which was very convenient. The other four had a garden view which was up the hill from us. If you have difficulty walking choose the ocean view as it's not a lot more. We also kayaked with a guide (included) and had an island tour ($30pp) which was amazing. We stopped at the monkey and sloth place and were able to hold them too. Then on to the chocolate factory, rum tasting and a brief shopping stop. This was truly an amazing trip and I highly recommend Turquoise Bay. Now the downside: You can't flush toilet paper down the toilet. But they did clean the room every morning! Apparently this is the case all over the island and in the airport. I think I can live with only one inconvenience.
Great clean place with a very reasonable cost. Great staff. every time i asked for something the stay made sure i was happy I would absolutely recommend this hotel and will stay again in the future!!!
We stayed at the hotel because my granddaughter needs sugary. One of the best hotels in the area. Clean, very friendly will stay again in the future, the only issue was the ants in the room. Thanks so much
Having been a flight attendant for many years, a travel hockey mom for many more, I have stayed in MANY hotels! Best Western Plymouth, NH ticks all the boxes for anything you could need away from home. Fitness center, indoor pool, delicious breakfast included with your stay, WIFI, in-room charges for devices, a lighted "beauty mirror", and more. It was a shame we only stayed overnight because the area is just beautiful! Most importantly, it is apparent that Best Western values excellent employees, and their staff could not have been more accommodating. My daughter and I are on the college visit trail, and finding affordable hotels has been challenging, The hotel looks newly renovated with pristine rooms and common areas. Although the parking lot was full with cars, the hotel was very quiet with no disturbances. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
We stayed at the Best Western Plymouth Inn for a youth hockey tournament this past weekend (October 2022). The location was right off the highway, Route 93. When we arrived at 2PM our room was ready. The front desk person was very polite and got us checked in fairly quickly. When we arrived into the room, the room was very clean. No odd smells, no stains on the carpets. The rooms were all renovated in November 2021. The Air Conditioning/Heating Unit was older, but worked well. The Fan in the bathroom was noisy and the beds were very low to the ground. But these things were overlooked as I couldn't complain as everything else was great. Breakfast in the morning was very good. They had cereal, muffins, toast, bagels, Yogurt, Made to Order Pancakes, Potatoes, Bacon, Sausage and Scrambled Eggs. The breakfast was fresh. The breakfast attendant was working his butt off cleaning things, and refilling things quickly. It was much better than many other "free" breakfasts at other higher end chains. The pool was very large. And there was an area on the side of the building the the kids could play street hockey. Lastly there were two great common areas I should mention. First there is a Fireplace room off the lobby. Plenty of seating for our group to unwind. In addition, there is a Firepit out front. They sell wood for the firepit ($7). You need to provide your own matches. And you are responsible for ensuring the fire is out before you vacate the area. They have plenty of seating around the firepit. And there was a large grassy area that allowed the kids to again, unwind, outside. One last thing to the management and staff, you are all doing great. All weekend I encountered the same front desk staff, restaurant staff and housekeeping. I am sure you are short staffed (as most businesses are), and working extra hours. But you couldn't tell by the smile on their faces. Keep up the good work. Thank you for making our stay great!
This is a good place with a large number of decent TV stations on a large screen, a coffee maker and everything needed for a stopover. It's right off 95 and theres a decent restaurant across the street. And the price was right All in all no complaints.
Only stayed one night - which is a plus as the BW in nearby Lincoln had a two minimum - but everything was great. Room was clean, water pressure just fine and the breakfast was tops! Mini-egg and cheese omelets, endless bacon and the unique pancake machine that cranked out pairs of pancakes with a press of a button! The 11 am checkout, which upon request, was graciously extended to noon was very helpful. A short drive to downtown Plymouth where most of nearby restaurants are located. And an hour's drive will get you to the Notch Franconia State Park.
We were pleasantly surprised to see the overall quality of the hotel and our room was clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful and attentive and we were completely satisfied with our stay band will consider staying bay Best Western in the future.
First time at this hotel. Breakfast was hot and fresh. Room very clean and comfortable. Great value for the price. Would definitely stay again if in the area. The only negative is you have to give 48 hr notice if you decide to check out earlier than planned.
Very comfortable accommodations for what I needed and great breakfast. Centrally located for a variety of sites in the New Hampshire area. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the fellow that works at the breakfast area is really great.
Great clean place but had a musty smell. Mattress was a little old and not the best. The room was clean and the staff great. Could use a little more variety on the breakfast selection. Overall good stay for the value.
Excellent breakfast New renovation of this hotel Excellent beds Staff was so nice and helpful Nice pool loved a refreshing swim good coffee in the lobby . Excellent time and experience loved to be able to buy wood and have a fire outside
The whole hotel had a very unpleasant odor of stale cigarette smoke. The stairway and hallway carpet was old and permanently ‘stained'. The odor was not exclusive to the common areas. My room also had the odor as well. I will not stay here again. The staff was friendly, but the hotel needs a complete makeover in my option.
The front desk attendants and staff were welcoming and friendly. The room and lobby were clean and the breakfast was delicious. The hotel is located near a covered bridge within walking distance. I highly recommend staying at this BW.
This hotel stay was a nightmare for my family. Our bathroom was backed up with sewer and standing water in the bathroom and the hall for hours. There were people who couldn't even shower before departing. The smell/odor was horrible. It was extremely unsanitary and a terrible situation to be in. Our microwave was also smoking. The advertise a heated pool and they lied saying it was 80 degrees. Guests said it was freezing (and indoors - at about 65 degrees). After hours of having plumbing issues, they finally moved our room and that second night, we got to have a bunch of questionable transient workers outside our windows. An employee told us they regularly rent rooms to these transient street works. So, they ruined our stay by drinking and smoking pot outside our room, as if they were at their own house. We had our 13 year old with us. We felt we should have gotten the first night for free since it was a nightmare and they only took of small portion of our bill. They gave us half off our second night. The first night should have been entirely free. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a clean, safe place for their family. Like I said, run ... don't walk from this hotel. I have never, ever posted a review about a hotel like this in my life but I must warn others what they might be facing @ $211 a night plus tax.
Was a very nice location in the White Mountains. Wonderful facility, everything in good condition. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Really nice breakfast options, including a pancake maker and yogurt machine! Would definitely stay there again, if in the area.
Staying here for work and have nothing but good things to say about this Best Western Motel. It appears as they have done a recent remodel of the entire facility. Rooms are clean and well apportioned, with microwave and fridge and in room coffee. The staff and the breakfast offering were all great.... As was the coffee! I stay at a dozen or more motels/hotels each year and I would put this one in the top of three for sure.
My husband and I stayed in Best Western Plymouth for 4-days/3-nights. We really enjoyed our stay! The staff was extremely friendly, the continental breakfast was tasty (for options-it was what you would expect, although the auto-pancake maker was cool), and the bed was comfy. The room was clean and the AC worked well. We didn't use the indoor pool but did check it out. The room was very nice and definitely big for a lot of people. There were no elevators that we saw so keep that in mind if you need a more accessible room. The carpet in the hallway seemed more worn down and dirtier than the room carpet. Could probably use a good shampoo. The water pressure in the shower wasn't great but the temp was! The hotel is close to downtown Plymouth, in walking distance to the Covered Bridge restaurant, and within a half hour to hiking trails and other cute small towns. I would definitely come back!
It is undergoing renovation and being turned into a Best Western. The contractor they are using is updating as little as possible. AC/heater units are ancient and are not being updated. Only 1 restaurant in the area, the small town of Plymouth is near by but not a lot of choices.
The hotel is off the expressway, located on a hill overlooking the street. Included with your stay is remolded room, comfortable bed, hot breakfast, huge pool. laundry facility, and outdoor lounging area. Also, across the street there's a restaurant named Covered Bridge Farm Table. And the food is delicious.
We chose the Days Inn because it is pet-friendly. It included a continental breakfast buffet with scrambled eggs and make-your-own pancakes, as well as juice, coffee, fruit, pastries. It was near the highway and the famous Blair covered bridge, one of the longest in the world. Driving the Kacamangus Highway to get there was spectacular,
My wife and 2 kids stayed for a night over Labor Day weekend. The price was right and it was good to trust a chain during Covid. It shows its age. Kids loved the pool. Decent small breakfast. Clean enough. Good for a night to get rest. Not a place to hang out long.
I took my 11 year old grandsons here to the Days Inn because they are renovating this property by Wyndham and it is great. Very clean. Newly done indoor pool. Nice rooms with new, comfy beds and clean bathrooms. The staff were very accommodating and are working hard to make this a wonderful place to stay. Front desk people couldn't be nicer. There was one male staff member who was so entertaining that the boys actually sat and ate breakfast with him, talking about their animals, (snakes, lizards, etc) that they have as pets. Breakfast here is plentiful. So much to choose from. Delicious. Highly recommend staying here!!!
