Best Western Airport Inn, Calgary

Place is nice. Not upto best western standards but still good. Staff is helpful and courteous Slightly over priced otherwise everything is good I would recommend it depending on what the price is on a specific day

We had a huge room with not just a bed, but also a sofa and an armchair. The bed was comfortable. The room basically had no view, and the window was non-transparent. The bathroom was rather small, and the shower was difficult to adjust. The breakfast was OK, with home fries, sausages, and scrambled eggs. The French vanilla yogurt was tasty.

We booked three Best Western hotels during our trip to Alberta, and all of them were awful. Stay away from Best Western at all costs. The Best Western Airport Inn in Calgary was especially strange. If you want to feel like Harry Potter, Cinderella, or the unloved member of the Best Western family, ask for Room 101, 103 or 105. The street facing windows in these rooms are blocked by intermodal shipping containers, while the rooms on the other side face directly onto the pool, which is open from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. There was a wooden electrical panel, a garbage container labeled "Don't Touch" in the hallway leading to the rooms, dirty items left in the hallway, and a refrigerator that was rusted through.

There's Best Western and there's Second-best western. Call me picky but no shuttle bus and a $50 taxi ride from the airport means it doesn't really qualify as a proper airport hotel for me. Location? I'd call it interesting, like it's in hiding (and one side of the Best Western sign has gone missing). Handy for Denny's more-or-less across the street. By the time I walked into Reception, my opinion was already formed: "not really". Only a small difference in room price with the Plaza but, as an experience, a whole wide world away. Chalk and cheese. The room? Interesting. It looked like someone had gone round, removing features (like asset-stripping?) and hoping it wouldn't be noticed if a piece of wallpaper might hide what's gone. Correction: pieces. Several. And then there's breakfast. Imagine a taxi-drivers canteen. Places like this don't have an ambience. Dunno what the word is. It should include eating my cereal from a paper bowl, with a recyclable spoon. The food was okay, I suppose, but . . . to be honest: but quite a lot of buts, really. Sorry.

In spite of being very near to the airport and next to a fire station this place was remarkably quiet. Very comfortable. Room was clean. Front desk staff were helpful. Breakfast included eggs, bacon or sausage, pancakes, muffins, cereal, yoghurt, toast , coffee, tea, juices. Kitchen and breakfast room staff were attentive. There were renovations ongoing, but they were not intrusive. The only thing that is a bit quirky is the access to the hotel, which requires that you look around the fire station and then enter on what is essentially an alley. Could be better signed.

We dropped the television control and when we lifted the bed skirt we were dissappointed to see how dirty the area under the bed was, the overall carpet wasn't much better .The shower head moved inside the wall when you tried to change the angle and there was concern it may break. We also had issues with the air conditioner when we closed the curtains and turned it on the air gets trapped behind the curtain and we had to keep the curtains open all night to get air flow in the room.

This hotel is absolutely brutal. The bed was broken, the sink was constantly plugged, there was a weird smell throughout and it was supposedly in the recently updated area. Absolutely brutal sleep. Never going back

I've had the pleasure of staying with Best Western locations across Canada throughout my travels, and the consistency, comfort, and service have always stood out. No matter the city, I've come to rely on Best Western as my go-to choice on the road. As someone who travels frequently for business, I'm on the road often, and having a consistent home base like Best Western makes a big difference, not just in comfort, but in efficiency as well.

Good. Room and breakfast exceeded my expectation. The staff was attentive. There was a nice small indoor pool that I used.

I'm genuinely horrified by my stay at this location. I found a large, quarter-sized bug in the bed, under the covers. While I recognize that the occasional insect can make its way into a room, a bug of that size does not end up inside a made bed unless cleaning and linen changes are clearly neglected. This results in a serious lapse in basic hygiene standards. I brought the bug to the front desk, and the attendant was completely disinterested offering only a 10% discount, which felt completely inadequate given how unsanitary and upsetting this was. I wrote to the company afterward, gave them every opportunity to address it properly, and they still refused to do anything further. At that point, it's clear this wasn't just one careless interaction — it reflects a broader, company-wide lack of standards and accountability. If you value basic cleanliness don't stay here. I won't be back, and I recommend booking literally anywhere else.

The room was beyond horrible. There was no view from the window because there was an AC unit or something of the sort in front of it which made the room dark and like a dungeon. They tried to hide it by frosting the window so you couldn't see outside, but there was a part of the window that can open and I saw what was blocking the entire window. The bed was super uncomfortable, and the mattress had a large crusty stain on it. After 11 hours of driving and another 9 hours to go the next day, this was definitely not a place to rest up for the next leg of our journey. The floor throughout the room was unlevel and bumpy. The tv was in a spot that you couldn't watch it from the bed and only from one small chair which is not great for 2 people. If I could give this hotel a negative 10 I would, it didn't deserve the 1 that I had to give. I will never return to this hotel and will tell all my friends and family to stay far away from it and stay elsewhere. I would have to say that this is the worst hotel that I have ever stayed in, especially for the price I payed. I kinda wonder if we were given this horrible room because we booked it through Expedia. I would never stay here again even if it was free. I am so disappointed that Best Western has their name on this dump. I have stayed with Best Western many times in the past at different locations and was always happy with my stay. Now I don't know if I want to stay at this hotel chain again because of this experience. When I told the lady during checkout how bad the room was, she didn't apologize and only said she would get the cleaning staff to checkout the crusty stain on the mattress. Terrible service, terrible food, beyond terrible room for the price. A dump like this needs to lower their price to a 1-2 star level because it is nothing close to a 4 star as they are showing.

It is my first stay at this hotel and I needed an early check-in because of our family situation and the front desk. Mr. Dave was extremely kind and nice to let us in as soon as I requested him and informed him, although I am also the elite rewards member yet they offered us the early check-in around 9 AM which is really great. I was not expecting since they had a room and they provided us at the same time general manager. Mary was there also and she offered me the coffee in total, I had an extremely good experience and very pleasant feelings on arrival at this hotel and I will recommend to anyone in need and I'm pretty sure these wonderful people will take care of you thank you thank you Dave and thank you Mary. Nice day.

Check in was quick and efficient. The front office staff were knowledgeable. They are undergoing some renovations so there are a few spots that look older and in need of repair but overall our room was clean and classic looking. There is coffee available in the room and down by the front desk 24 hours. There is a continental breakfast available until 10am. Our room also had a king bed with microwave, fridge, safe, iron, hair dryer. There is a shower but no tub. Shampoo, conditioner, lotion, body wash and hand wash are available but not in little bottles. The pool is slippery. It is the one thing I think needs improvement. There is a vent above the whirlpool that looks like it may drop any amount of dirt that has accumulated on it. The tiles are crazy slippery and the shower is freezing. I hope they make a few improvements in the pool area as well as part of their renovations.

Beautiful place, clean and neat. After going around the busy traffic city when arrived at BestWestern Airport INN ohhh relax and all tiredness fly offs. Wish and suggest everyone sure you will like the place, service and amenities.

Great hotel, well priced; includes breakfast. Has pool and hot tub along with fitness facilities. Found the pool too cold to swim but hot tub perfect. Friendly staff and close to amenities. Would recommend it. No shuttle but close to the airport

This hotel was perfect to be located for the Trans-Canada highway from Saskatchewan to British Columbia, so the driver drove with much relaxation through Calgary during the snowy day. Additionally, overnight we slept very well under the perfectly-controlled room temperature and when we woke up and took a good shower. Went downstairs to eat breakfast and it was very open to take food from the cabinet. The parking was open and plentiful for our vehicle overnight and parked with security.

This is not .. I repeat not an airport hotel!!! Our taxi ride was $60 to get here as there was no airport shuttle. If you want an airport Best Western - apparently there is one closer to the airport with a shuttle. Area is very old - few restaurant options available. They are in the middle of renovations. Bottled water provided on request but not on arrival - even for Best Western member.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful at this hotel. Included breakfast was very tasty with different options every day. WIFI worked great. All amenities in the room functioned very well including the thermostat (as soon as you turned on the heat, it came on immediately and was easy to use).

I have been staying in this hotel for so many years when we visit Calgary. I have never had any issues and always had a great stay. The location is great because it is close to everything! The room is always clean, the breakfast area is well maintained and the food is always delicious. The staff in this hotel are the best! Everyone is so helpful! They welcome guests with a warm smile and is always anticipating guests' needs. Thank you for always making our stay delightful (General Manager - Marites, David, Vivek, Imran, Moe, Heike and Aby). The new renovated room we stayed at looks so good! We look forward to our next stay soon!

The guy ibrahim and heike are the best, Hotel is in amazing shape. I wish i can stay here all the time. The party they were having was freaking awesome. 5 stars to every single one of them! Breakfest was a amazing choice(pancakes were the best). Cant wait to stay here again

Don't stay here. When we checked in we had to move rooms because we had no water. The whole place was torn apart and in shambles. The morning we were leaving there was no hot water and we all had cold showers. When I mentioned it to the staff they said the hotel was replacing the gas meter, which was obviously planned, and no one told us, nor did anyone seem to care.

We tried to check into the hotel at 1:30 p.m. They checked us in then but it took 3 more hours of waiting at the Denny's Restaurant across from them to get into the room. You'd think that they could have had someone clean our room faster; since we had paid. It's an airport inn, so you would think they would make some effort for weary travellers to get into their rooms, but they didn't make any effort to do so.

Pool closed due to water ban. Fitness center ransacked by children and treadmill was destroyed because staff were not enforcing the rules. Renovating flooring and mold can be seen where the baseboards were removed. Staff were incredibly friendly.

We enjoyed dealing with the front desk staff, they were very friendly and helpful. However, the hotel is very rundown and the rooms are dirty. This location needs lots of work to get up to what I expect a Beat Western to be.

I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and the Hot breakfast was good especially for a Canadian Hotel, Customer Service was really good too.

Average, good stay with family. Stayed for 1 night from June 3-4th. Kids enjoyed the breakfast. Pool depth was suitable for the kids though it could be crowded (as most hotel pools are). Nothing else to note - not very memorable but no complaints here.

Aside from appearance due to renovations this hotel was good clean quiet and close to everything……..

I booked this hotel through a third party expecting just the bare minimum, as I have had happen in the past with other hotels. I was blown away by the details they paid attention to. The breakfast was wonderful, and included eggs, potatoes, and sausage/bacon, as well as pancakes if you wanted them. The hot tub was in good working order and the pool was decent sized. My only concern is that the pool was a little on the chilly side, being as it is indoors and just barely kept to room temperature (21°C). If it were heated it would have been even better. The room was decent sized for what I was expecting. Usually when I stay somewhere with two queen beds there is barely enough room to move around, and here that was not an issue.

This was a pleasant experience from start to finish. The staff were friendly and helpful, the hotel was clean and relatively new, and my room was spacious and comfortable. I can't eat gluten, so I appreciated the sign at breakfast indicating exactly what was gluten free and what wasn't. I would stay here again.

This is a great hotel! Staff were very kind and helpful as well as great location! Free breakfast was very good as well. Mattress is firm and I like a softer mattress so I did not get the best sleep but overall great place!

The hotel is fine - clean and functional. It's just a long ways from the airport and there is no shuttle service. Expect to pay at least $30 to get to hotel or airport. I would strongly recommend staying at the north airport hotels which are much closer by taxi for the same price. Also, make sure you recognize that this hotel does not have any airport shuttle service. I think there are 3 dumbbells in the exercise room - no matching weights so ideal for someone that wants to work one side harder then the other.

Very Accommodating and welcoming , Nice People and Very Well Services. I really want to recommend to my family and to my friends and co-worker to stay in Best Western Hotels, they all do above and beyond for all the things they do. From Cleanliness and Maintenance of the hotel is very well taken care of. Excellent Job everyone.

The hotel was conventionally located for our visit, the staff was friendly and accommodating, and the room was clean. The breakfast buffet was similar to what we have experienced in other hotels. They have a Keurig in the lobby for coffee anytime. The rates were good compared to other Best Western hotels in the area.

The hotel staff were really great and helpful, they kept the hotel very clean but its an older location and you can kind of tell. I think there was some talk of upcoming reconventions. This is also a firestation next door so they are a bit loud at times. Still was a nice hotel and it had a great rate that made up for everything else.

Excellent service and the stuff was really friendly. The breakfast is the best part of the hotel and the hot tub. The view was okay but the ambient of the hotel was really good. It has all the amenities you needed. Overall it was great experience

The location and cleanliness at this hotel is really good. The reception staff is very friendly and welcoming . Peter and Shiraz made us feel at home and also shared some tips for restaurants and what to do in Calgary.

The hotel is quite literally falling apart. Huge gaps around room door left us feeling unsafe. Took a grown adult to open and close the bathroom door by slamming our bodies into it... despite hanging the housekeeping sign on the door, the housekeeping was non existent and we had to call the front desk daily to have towels, coffee, shampoo etc restocked

Stayed here for one night. Pros: professional front desk staff. Cons: Worn down Motel 6 ambience. Booked a suite room that had bad cigarette odor (though room as supposed to be non-smoking). Breakfast only open from 7 - 9AM.

Very satisfied with my stay. Room stocked. Enjoyed free breakfast. Staff friendly and accommadating. Hotel near bus stops, restaurants, variety store. Coffee/tea station in lobby to use anytime. Requests granted immediately.

The staff are professional, helpful and caring. The breakfast is good variety. Location is perfect for us. It is very safe the pool and hot tub are great and clean. Rooms are large and well appointed.

Stayed for one night before flying back home. Easy access from the highway. 10 minute's drive to downtown and the airport. Spacious room in great condition. Breakfast was fair, not too much variety. Pool and hot-tub is nice and clean.

The only decent thing about this stay was that it is really not far from the airport and easy yo get to but that is wair the OK ends! On our arrival at close to 10pm we were checked into a room that smelled old/musty and possibly smoked in. We were tired and really did not want to go throuh the hassle of getting moved to another room if there even was one.. When walking across the carpet which appeared to be fairly new you could feel holes in the floor under the carpet deep enough to be a tripping hazard. When my wfe went to the washroom she discovered that the bathroom was left with no Toilet Paper and we had to call down to the desk to get some. It was sent up along with coffee pods as what was in the room was very limited. The person that brought it up was actually laughing that we had to call to have roll of TP brought to our room. We did not sleep well at all as the "Pillow Top" mattress may have once been nice but now sags terribly to the point that I woke up witha back ache and I have no back issues. The shower had so low water pressure it was liererally a triickle and no adjustment of the shower head or valve made it any better. I had to resort to getting cups of water from the sink to rinse out shampoo. I also would seriously doubt that the elevator has been inspected recently given the noise and bumps it made when going up or down. When checking out I started to express my concern to the person on the desk and they stated "I Just Work Here".

Many things not working. Upon arrival the floor by the bathroom was wet snd the room smelled terrible. There wasn't enough outlets to charge our family of 4's devices and the outlet by the bathroom was so loose fitting chargers fell out easily. The door wouldn't close so interior lock had to be used. The elevator ride was bumpy and it made strange sounds which was uncomfortable. The sink drain wouldn't open after being closed so we had to pry it open with a spoon. Many poor fixes that made the room look cheap and the bathroom was so tiny which was hard to deal with when trying to shower a family of 4 and get us all ready to leave. Would prefer a tub so I could've bathed my daughter. The bed was comfortable and the location was great for where we were going but we weren't pleased with our stay. Disappointing for Best Western.

Clean, comfortable hotel with efficient and friendly staff. They served hot breakfast with good options. Room quality, amenities were good. My first time experience with Best Western Inn was super. Very early breakfast arrangement helped us to plan our day efficiently.

Broken elevator, random kids hands all over the “full” breakfast food we paid for (bacon, eggs, sausage, hash browns etc) so we didn't get any, pool lights off all the time, no clean towels, extremely noisy, parking is terrible. Cost way too much to stay here when it's not worth a quarter of the price

A typical Best Western Brand hotel located close to the central traffic area to Calgary NE, the rooms are clean and spacious and breakfast service is as to be expected from this chain. Elevator was not very functional and was undergoing repairs to correct however for the traveller this is a suitable accommodation , not the Best Western Plus but lives up to the brand chain requirments.

Pigeons out side our window all night making nose beds were old and hard , hard to sleep need some upgrades in this hotel wall paper falling off walls the breakfast was ok. hot tub was down pool was so cold you could not us it

We were very satisfied with our stay at this facility & would most certainly recommend it to all others who may be in the vicinity of this hotel & in need of an accommodation to stay. We really have no negative comments to state regarding our stay & will again book at this location if the need should arise in the future!!

Also convenient to downtown. I found the hotel staff to be very friendly and helpful. They had great suggestions for Indian restaurants in the area. The hotel was also very quite. That's important to me as I sleep lite. That being said, I would worry that any rambunctious people in a room above you would hear. I don't think the insulation is very thick between rooms.

Room 225. Our second stay in this King room. Paid CA$400 for four nights with Seniors' discount. The good news: convenient location for us, close to family in Calgary. Nice buffet breakfast with friendly and helpful staff, accommodating to gluten and dairy intolerance. Mattress, pillow, sleep comfort all very good. Nice that the window in the room opens (not a lot but fresh air is nice). The bad news: The building is old and continues to get more run down. Hot Tub was broken, waiting for parts. Hot water plumbing to the entire second floor failed. Thankfully we were not affected although the kitchen for the breakfast buffet was flooded and the stairwell was a mess. Good on the hotel for mustering a plumber on Dec 24. As always, issues with the shower water control. This one was simply loose. But why not fix it?

This is a 2/3 star hotel. The carpets, beds, wallpaper and decor are out dated but the beds are good, the heat works and the tv cable and internet work. Showers are hot and there's a lot of choice for breakfast; the weekday breakfast girl is great, the weekend breakfast girl doesn't try as hard. Hopefully they fix the hot tub soon!!!

Hotel is cold! Pool is cold! Hot tub was broken 3 years ago and still broken, front desk agent just made excuses. Took 30 minutes to get hot water once we figured out the taps are broke and backwards, we've stayed here many times, it's gone downhill, won't be staying here again.

Rooms are clean and tidy. Bed is really comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful. Lots of options at breakfast. Central location to where we were going and what we were doing. Would stay here again.

I scared this location as I was only in town for two nights. Previously I stayed just north of this location at the other Best Western Property called Port O'Call. The room here was only about $10 a night cheaper however the bedding is older. The beds are older. The property has very few amenities. The breakfast is not so good. There is a Denny's across the street as well as a convenience store and a gas station. So that's a plus. But technically it's actually farther from the airport than the Port of Call location. Expect to pay about $50 in an Uber to get here. I would definitely choose the other location for 10 or $15 more a night. But if you're on a tight budget. This will do but you may end up paying more in transportation cost.

I stayed here recently on my way through Calgary on a Friday night. Booked last minute, received an upgraded room as well during check in free of charge. Staff was friendly and professional. The room was small but very clean and nice. There was free parking, and it was fairly secure as well. The hotel was very quiet, which was nice when travelling for work. The rating also reflects the price, it was an excellent value, especially for a weekend.

Great price. $98 for a queen bedroom. Everything you can possibly need. Great customer service. Awesome breakfast. Good area for how little familiar am I with Calgary. Beautiful room. Only thing that sucked was I couldn't look out my window haha.

Beds were comfy and the man the front desk was polite and welcoming. My company is the lady that was cleaning up the breakfast. We were told breakfast goes until 10;30 and she gave us dirty looks and told us breakfast closed 10. She turned the lights out on us while we were still sitting and eating and just was rude and giving us looks. We finished breakfast at 10:18 and left unimpressed to say the least. Could go into more details but don't have enough space

We had hell of a time when the room allotted to us had poorly maintained AC. It quit on us from get go, made loud noise and no one cared except moving us to different room at 3 AM. Poorly maintained overall.

We picked a hotel close to the airport since our flight arrived late. It was not easy to find. The parking was terrible and the hotel wasn't any better. We worry worried about bed bugs that's how bad it was. The only reason we stayed was because it was only to sleep overnight. I stay at Best Western quite a bit so really disappointed.

Stayed here on the last day of our vacation. Hotel was easy to access, beds very comfortable and the options on the breakfast buffet were varied. All food was fresh and well done. All containers were kept filled. But what I value most is the coffee and OJ, nothing watered down, they do a great job.

We stayed at this same hotel 13 years ago and the pool water was extremely cold and just stayed here this past weekend and the water was cold still and the toilets need replacing as the tanks refill very slowly and we had to use the ice bucket to refill after using. The staff were very helpful and friendly! Free breakfast was good.

Although the location is not exactly picturesque, it is convenient as it is located near the highway. The staff were friendly and helpful. The property generally could use some updating as the overall impression is worn. Our bathroom was extremely small with a sink that didn't properly drain even after it was repaired. All and all as practical accommodation, it is a reasonable value.

A decent-sized clean double queen room. Having a microwave was very handy. Breakfast was good, and I liked the option of 'built your own yogurt ' and individually wrapped muffins. Staff was very helpful.

The location was great, the staff that welcome me on the front desk named Marites was excellent. Our room was ok but washroom was too small, and they forgot to put towels on our check in we need to ask for one. The pool seems not maintained no towels and no emergency tools in case of emergency . The price is expensive

We stayed here after coming back through town on a trip from bc. This was the middle point of our travel. Regardless we booked it with free points. Checked in and within less than an hour checked out and left. The room had such an awful stale/smoke smell/perhaps a decaying body smell that we couldn't even stand the smell of it. We pulled back the sheets to see that they had stains on them. The ceiling had stains as well. The breaker box on our floor was left open. The elevator creeks and you wonder if you will make it out of the elevator. The second floor has a window that is open and screen less on the staircase. The main lobby has some “old” bugs along with the dirty hallways and Stained carpets. We did complain at the front to which the employee seemed embarrassed and speechless. I felt bad for him but wanted him to know why we were leaving. He offered to change our rooms but I said the smell of the room was what we couldn't do and he looked at us with a blank stare as if he couldn't help us at all. We left and booked at another BW. We have stayed at many hotels and have never left before. We've stayed at many best westerns and never had issues before this either. I would not come back to this hotel. Anyone who finds this hotel suitable has very low standards.

When we arrived we were put in a room on the first floor, behind the front desk, which was not fit for human habitation. The room was dirty and gross. Furniture and lampshades broken Dirty walls and door. Big stain on one lamp shade that appeared to be either blood or poop. Doors on cabinet were broken, desk/dresser had chunks out of it. Lampshades torn and dishevelled. Stains. We felt itchy just going in the room. It looked like someone had been murdered in it. Requested another room as it was completely unacceptable. Shown another room next to it that was in similar condition. Then shown a room in second floor that was somewhat better, and we took it as nothing else avail during stampede. Still had broken furniture, stained walls etc, but improvement over main floor. Staff were good, and very helpful when I had covid. Room was cleaned well when I requested at end of isolation time. Hotel needs serious renovations, maintenance and deep cleaning. Would not stay here again.

The floor was completely warped and had soft spots. Not sure how it passes inspections. Also had a hair in the one bed and the information card on the desk was not cleaned as it had hair and a sticky substance on it.

Had to find a hotel the name of this hotel suggests it is close to the airport it is not. My dismay at the expensive cab ride was eased by the lovely staff. The service is reason enough to choose this hotel.

Overall good experience at Best Western for the price paid! There is a promotion of 1 night free stay on Fall/Winter for customers who stayed 2+ nights given that you register with them (not bad!). Would definitely recommend to friends!

The hotel says airport inn but it is not the closest to the airport - that being said it is a lovely, clean and friendly hotel. The staff was very accommodating - especially since we showed up at midnight. ( our flight was cancelled) The room was super clean and the bathroom/shower was very nice and looked new. The beds were super comfortable and cosy and we got a good nights sleep. The breakfast was complimentary and had a nice variety of things to eat. Coffee was good too. We asked for a wakeup call and got it, and we asked for a cab and it was there on time. Overall a very nice experience.

The hotel room was clean. Staffs were friendly and helpful. Food was good, although wasn't included in the price. Have other restaurants within walking distance. Hotel decor is good and modern. Location is good

Always enjoy staying at this property. The ease of check in and the friendliness of the front desk staff, great. Clean , quiet room. Breakfast , great selection and attentive staff. Overall totally satisfied with safe hotel, friendly staff and great location.

Close to amenities and highways. Room was clean, wasn't asked if we wanted room made up on first day. Breakfast is decent. Second floor window in main corridor looks like it could use some repairs. Hotel has pool so great for the kids.

Bed and Bedding is horrible, to the point you could see through the sheets. Room smelt musty and was poorly designed with very dark colors. If you want a good nights rest before going to airport stay away

Staff is very Friendly, helpful and professional.. Breakfast is Fresh, with wide variety of items.Fresh Pancakes made by Machine , when we need it were so tasty , hot and fresh, Swimming pool was so thoroughly clean , and rooms,beds were spotless and totally clean .

Room 213. North side of the building facing 18 Ave. A One Queen room. It overlooks a fairly quiet residential street, quiet except for when the firefighters at the fire hall next door must go out and sound the siren! (a couple times a night). Room tip: go for a room on the outer periphery of the building. The inner rooms like #203 and #218 face out to the roof mounted HVAC units which emit a low thrumming noise in the night.. Price About Cdn$105 per night all in. We chose the Best Western again to be near our kids' house. The previous comments about the good mattress, solid WiFi, pool and hot tub still apply. On this busy long weekend the hot tub got a little foamy (they tend to do that). Our one queen room was on the small side. Next time we will try a King room, or go across the street to the Holiday Inn. Bathroom is really small. There are no bathtubs in any of the rooms in this hotel. The drain in our sink succumbed to its lever disconnecting from the plunger; good on them repairs were done and on Easter Sunday too! All harping aside everything works. Breakfast was pretty well back to pre-COVID days: which means more choices and you serve yourself. The usual fare for a breakfast buffet in a hotel of this class: the muffins, cereal, yogurt, milk, fruit, toast, pancakes, etc. As well there are scrambled eggs (mind you these are like the reconstituted "eggs" you get on an airline), sausage, bacon and hash brown potatoes. o serve yourself: the attendant must do it for you.

Was just fine for one night not my favourite best western but very clean and nice staff. My particular room was near a rooftop where, to my dismay there must have been a pigeon family reunion. Other then the bird party it's was a good stay

Will never stay there again. Horrible smell in the room. They did move us, but highly inconvenient as a family of 4 strung for 4 nights. Staff gave us a tiny discount and didn't seem to feel like it was a real problem.

Our experience staying here was great! Our room was nicely decorated, the beds were comfortable and made up with nice linens and each bed had 4 pillows. All the usual amenities were there including microwave, fridge and Keurig coffee maker. The bathroom looked newly renovated with a lovely shower and was well stocked with good quality towels and toiletries. The room was very clean and we felt safe and comfortable throughout our stay. One thing that stood out to me was that everywhere in the hotel we went, the lobby, hallways and our room smelled very fresh and pleasant. I've never noticed that in other hotels. The staff were all wonderful! Everyone we encountered from the check in and check out staff, and the breakfast room attendant seemed to really enjoy their jobs. They were kind, polite and helpful and we appreciated their warm smiles. Shortly after arrival we tried to turn on the heater and found that it didn't work. After calling the front desk, the gentleman who checked us in was at our door within a minute and showed us the thermostat on the wall. We had been trying to turn it on at the actual unit. Oops! Lol. We thank him for his courtesy and professionalism and for not laughing at us! Lol I highly recommend this hotel and I will definitely stay here again the next time I visit Calgary!

We had early flight going home to US and i never been in the area, just found BWH through google, price is right, service is okey, a decent place to stay.. my kids and my nephews enjoyed the pool, me and my sister love the hot tub, free coffee is great.. customer service is great.. they packed a bag of snack for us for early checked out.. definitely we'll love to stay again on next travel..!!!

After leaving the hotel at 12am to pick my husband up from a 12 hour flight I returned to the hotel at 1:30am to no available parking. I asked the front clerk as to what to do and was told I might as well try to find another hotel for the night. This was unacceptable to me as I was with an extremely tired husband and 8 year old. We parked in the entrance with enough room for vehicles to go around our truck. I then asked the clerk if this was going to be an issue and he told me he was too busy to look and see where my vehicle was. We left our vehicle there but got no sleep as we were up checking numerous times throughout the night and finally moved it at 6am to an available spot.

Hotel is close to dining and close to downtown. Felt safe pool was cold hot tub was great, stayed in 116 and will never stay on the first floor again, due to the pool side there was no sleeping In and no early bedtime

From Mari-Tes at the checkin, to both the ladies who ran the breakfast bar, our stay could not have been better. Thank you for 3 nights we have been looking forward to since Covid hit. You all made our stay a trip we won't soon forget.

Well-placed near the airport and plenty of dining options. Ordered pizza from Friend's Pizza, and they had it at the door very quickly - and it was delicious! Covid-carryout breakfast exceeded expectations. Quiet and comfortable room.

Good location for access around calgary . Good and competitive price with free brake fast in morning . Hotel staff and cleanliness is better than expected. Giving 4 start only reason is Mattress & linen were old but clean.

I often stay at this hotel when travelling to work from Calgary airport. I find the rates very reasonable and the hotel itself is clean and the beds are comfortable. Internet works just fine which is more than you can say for some of the more expensive hotel chains. Breakfast isn't the greatest but it's OK. Overall for the price you pay it's good.

Hotel is obviously dated, but room decor was nice enough. My room had a dripping shower head and buzzing light but was otherwise ok. Breakfast was not good, but that's just my opinion. If you're over 6' tall, Be prepared to hurt your neck getting into the hotel. The awning leading in is VERY VERY low. Staff were great though and the room was good enough for what I needed. I would t take my kids or family here, but for a quick sleep in between running around the city alone it's fine.

The room was decently clean, however all of our linens and towels had yellow stains on them. They were clean, but stained. Which was still quite unpleasant. We asked for fresh linens, but even the fresh set had some stains on them, as well as the blanket. The breakfast, on the other hand, was delicious, fresh and hot. The coffee was also great.

From the ease of check in to the nice quiet well decorated room to the amazing hot breakfast the whole stay was positive. The management and staff take pride in this hotel and it shows Inhave stayed here countless times and they stay is always consistently good, no issues. They are even going the extra distance with the hot breakfast while adhering to covid rules. The breakfast, like the staff, is amazing.

This place is the definition of a DUMPSTER!! & it's not what you'd normally expect from the Best Western brand. Everything in the rooms is either broken or falling apart. The rooms are very dirty and look absolutely nothing like the deceiving pictures used online. Walls are paper thin so you can hear everything, and I mean everything going on in neighbouring rooms. Management & staff are beyond rude and unhelpful. Also, this hotel is located in a very dingy, shady part of town. Not safe at all for families or anyone really. Much better options in the city for the same price or less. You've been warned!

We had to catch an early flight out of Calgary Airport and this Best Western provided all of my requirements: 1. close to the airport; 2. gas station nearby to fill up the car rental. 3. free breakfast (if only we had the time; but needed to go before it opened. Note: we were offered their "to go packed breakfast" but had to leave at 5:45. Ever question was answered by the front desk lady! Great sleep and our wake call was right on time. We would come back!

I would not hesitate to book here again! The staff were great, very helpful and accommodating. Close to amenities. The breakfast was very tasty and plenty of options. Beds were SUPER comfortable. My daughter loved the pool and hottub!

We were pleased at the attention for partially handicapped person (bad knee) and walking with cane. Staff were friendly, attentive and quickly attempted to our request. They also apologized as they were unable to place us near the elevator

One night stay-over in Calgary, chose the location to be near our kids' house. It is a middle - aged building, mostly renovated, but the unevenness of the floor in the hall tells you there has been some construction to tack on additions to the structure over the years. Our room #218 is in a funky location: a corner, which makes for a funny room layout (can't see the TV while sitting in bed). The window overlooks a scenic view of a HVAC unit, fortunately not a super noisy one because we sleep with open windows. The plumbing needs some TLC. Single lever water control for the shower is plumbed backwards: "HOT" gets you cold water and vice versa. Apparently our room was not alone. The toilet flush was funky: must push lever really fast or you don't get a full flush. To the staff's credit they did give us a rate adjustment for the funky shower and we wound up spending $100 for the night. Gramma liked the mattress. Good solid WiFi and thank you for equipping the room with bed side lamps that have plugs for charging your electronics. (So many hotel rooms are real shy of outlets.) The pool and hot tub are nice. Hot tub although a little small is clean (no green scum) and has good powerful jets. Lots of kids seemed to be enjoying the pool. Breakfast was somewhat modified for COVID although a lot better than some I had seen on the same trip. They had all the muffins, cereal, yogourt, milk, fruit, toast, pamcakes etc. A little shy on the protein: some synthetic - looking eggs and some sausage. No serve yourself: the attendant must do it for you.

I would recommend this inn. The staffs are friendly, approachable especially the one on there reception Ms. Marites she knows her job very well.I have some questions and she answered it in friendly manner.

I love this hotel and always stay here when I am in Calgary. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. We always stay at the Best Western Airport location when we are in Calgary because of the wonderful service. The rooms are always clean, as is the lobby. I have never felt unsafe in the parking lot at night, as in some other hotels. I highly recommend this hotel.

The location was great for my family and I for what we wanted to do. The dead bolt wouldn't lock took 2 days to fix it but it did get done bathrooms are very tiny u need to squeeze in the back of the toilet to shut the door to go to the bathroom and use the shower not much room to put ur legs when sitting on the toilet. I wouldn't recommend and one over weight or scared to be in such tight spaces as the bathroom isn't great. Every thing else was ok also the hot tub was small fits family of four I couldn't use hottub

The ad did not match the pictures. Its an older hotel was disappointed. It was pricey for what we got. The brochure in the room (covid) did not match what was happening. Pool times were not listed right as well, it said the breakfast was not happening when in fact it was.

My stay in the Hotel was perfect and everything was super clean and spotless. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. And the morning breakfast was a very detail. The pool facilities was so good.

I work in Calgary frequently and generally always stay at this hotel. The staff is excellent and the location is great for getting around Calgary. Pre covid, this hotel had an excellent breakfast and I'm hoping it returns soon.

Been staying at this hotel now for a little over 6 months totaling approximately 20 days in that time, should you have any issues the service people do a very good job at taking care of any situation that arises.

Ack! Stay clear if you value your health. Among thousands of hotel stays I have undertaken around the world, including impoverished and developing nations, this was the worst. The rooms are something straight out a horror movie.

Great location, really pleasant and clean rooms, but the thing that makes this such a good place to stay are the staff. All of the people are incredibly helpful and generous with their time and advice.

We were very impressed with the room, food & service when we had to quarantine after returning from Mexico. Would definitely recommend this hotel as they made our stay very comfortable at a very affordable rate.

We were greeted in a very friendly manner. The front line and reception staff are absolutely wonderful, friendly, accommodating and pro-active. They even called us in the room to let us know that a time slot for the pool had become available. The room was very clean and quiet. We received to go breakfast in a paper bag with a very tasty breakfast burrito (which you could warm up in the micro-wave), juice, muffin and fresh coffee. The pool area was also very clean. We would definitely recommend this hotel and stay there again.

The front desk staff were so welcoming and friendly. They made sure I had everything I needed and remembered me anytime I came down. The hotel was very clean, you could smell it as soon as you walked in the doors. I enjoyed my stay very much.

There is no better place to stay then at a Best Western!! Whenever we go anywhere we always look first for Best Western and we always find one. With the exception of the Carribean. The main reason is their pillows are phenomenal

So frustrated. Service sucks and everything else. I stayed for one night just to get away and have a peaceful night. When I got there, You could tell that the place was empty because there was only one vehicle parked in the parking lot and mine. I was greeted by this guy at the front desk , gave me a room in the 2nd floor. So Room 204, was the WORST room you could ever had especially if you are paying customer. The room was dark, the window is small and your view is this huge ugly furnace and that's basically your view. For a person who needs to get away and have some peaceful stay, this is not the room nor the hotel you would want to stay at. So I called the front desk to change room and I was moved to the very very end of the floor. But to me that time, I just want to rest and be done with it. The next morning, went downstairs for a hot breakfast and was surprised with this brown bag that was handed to me. Sorry I don't think that what it said on the website... I chose this hotel for the gym and HOT breakfast. They give you breakfast like your a kid going to elementary school and that's your lunch bag. Coffee? yes just coffee, don't look for teas or hot chocolates or decafs coZ they don't have that either. Anyways, I got an email shortly after my stay to give a review like normal protocol. Sure why not and so I wrote down everything I said here. Then I got an email from a manager at this location. His name is Joe Komaric. On his email, it stated to give him a call if he can provide assistance and so I called him. When he answered the phone. I introduced myself and gave him a little of details regarding the email that was sent. He had no idea at first to whom he was talking to. So not sure if he sends a lot of the same email to a lot of angry customers that's why he could not remember.eventually when he remembered , Joe just said “I apologize” and that's it. Nothing to repair it or making the customer feel better/satisfied. No professionalism and absolutely poor service. Needless to say that I will never ever set my foot onto this hotel/motel ever gain. For the price I paid, I could definitely go to a waaay better hotel around the area with better nicer facility and better service.

Nice hotel, small but with the necessary things. Very comfortable and adequate to spend one or two night, specially if you are flying somewhere. The hotel was upgraded recently and still one of my first choices when flying.

I had booked this hotel because of the full breakfast. Yet, when I called to confirm they are still, in September only offering a garbage bag for breakfast. If you like sugary junk like a muffin and granola bar it will be fine for you. They had their excuse of course. But by this time in services opening up more everywhere many decent and even cheap hotels are offering hot breakfast items, or at least things like a hard boiled egg or yogurt for some protein. The pool is also still closed here, while for the same price you can head over to the Comfort Inn and Suites University and get a better breakfast, a pool and waterslide for the same price (at least was when I booked). So I canceled my reservation with BW. It's too bad because they would normally be our preference, but I expect more from BW. No excuses. You could even provide a breakfast voucher at some fast food place where people can at least get some bacon and eggs.

Reasonably priced good accommodation. Good accommodating staff. My only issue was with the Grab n Go Breakfast. Nowhere near enough "selection". I know we have Covid but choices would have made it much better - including a hot option like a breakfast sandwich or breakfast burrito to heat up in the microwave in the room.

Even though I had to change my reservation last minute to a different number of people and then the extra person did not show up the front desk staff was amazing and understanding. There was a problem with the shower and they gave me a different room. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very quiet hotel and comfortable beds. Highly recommended

It was a wonderful stay, was not expecting the service that we got. The "Breakfast in a Bag" was an great idea...fresh fruit and option juice or water. It was fun brought the bags up to the room and it was random who got the Chocolate Chip Chocolate Muffin...great way to get the kids days rolling almost like a breakfast game!!

They say that rooms are non smokers but the room smells like cigarette.... the matress is bad but the bathroom is perfect and clean. I GUESS it does the job for the price. But wouldnt stay any longer !

Lobby was very clean, easy to find this hotel Great staff and breakfast lots of choices! Rooms are very clean and there was no carpets in rooms or hall ways which I enjoyed. Parking was great easy in and the parking area was cleaned of snow and ice.

We enjoyed the staff and service at this hotel everyone was very friendly! The rooms were a bit small for our family of 4 but for a couple or buisness travel this hotel is perfect. The bathrooms were exceptionally small offering to only a shower with a glass door offering no access to help younger kids if needed. Room was clean. Our kids thought the pool was a bit small but still enjoyed splashing around. Deffinatly recommend this hotel for adults family's for a quick stop over. This hotel offers a great price for the value.

It's a new building so it's nicer than other hotels great staff very accommodating and professional. The room itself very spacious and comfortable nice bed you have a couch that you can enjoy as well to sit and relax. The bathroom that's on the very small side you have enough room to get inside and just close the door if your petit god knows what the architect was thinking when they done the plans. Pool hot tub amazing had the hot tub to myself was nice. Breakfast was great really enjoyed long hours 0630-1000 and quality and they even have real plates and utensils which is wonderful.

Good location to airport. Very friendly staff, quick to check in and out, Internet was great, breakfast was very nice, we flew in in the wee hours of AM and found this location to be perfect for what we needed.

Hotel was clean, affordable and beds were very comfortable. I'd stay here again for sure. We came with our soccer team and they had us all on the same floor even though we didn't book as a team. Made it easier for us parents and kids to get together.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean, relaxing, convenient hotel in Calgary. Also the breakfasts are always good with lots of selection. All this for a really reasonable price tag.

Good value for your money Staff very helpful and friendly, quick to get anything that you asked for. The swimming pool was a good place to relax, the floor in the pool area was a little slippery. Parking area a little tight for pickups

The Best Western Calgary Airport Inn is my hotel of choice when I stay in Calgary. It is reasonably close to the airport but not so close as you have to hear the air traffic all night long. The staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and very quiet. The Best Western breakfast is great, with lots of variety and waffles, our favorite. I highly recommend this location for your stay in Calgary North East.

The Best Western motel location was very convenient in relation to my need to get up early the next day to catch a flight at the Calgary International airport. Also the motel was very near a gas station where it was convenient to fill the gas tank of my rental car before returning it at the airport rental location. The staff was very friendly and answered all of my questions in a very friendly manner. I would stay at that Best Western location again.

As we live out of town and recently attended a Christmas party in Calgary to stay overnight at BW. It is conveniently close to our friends and for the price, which was excellent, we were given a very nice clean, well organized room. Definitely will stay again. The reception staff were all wonderful and genuine.

Our room was great complete with a great window view of the Rockies. The overall hotel service was great and our breakfast was quite enjoyable, hitting the spot. When visiting Calgary again, we will not hesitate in stay at this Best Western location.

This little hotel has great staff, the staff do everything to make sure you are comfortable. We had comfortable rooms and an awesome selection for breakfast. Cant ask for anything more. Definitely will stay again.

Excellent staff and good selection of food was provided as a complimentary breakfast. I will certainly visit this hotel again. The staff were respectful and always ready to help, the all day free coffee and tea together with the free breakfast was a great bonus.

a good location on highway # 1 (16th Ave) near Deerfoot - very clean and nice room but a bit small. Television stations limited, loud partiers in the hall very late at night. breakfast selection is average. staff were very friendly.

Nice hotel with convenient location, good value and good breakfast. Disappointed that we got locked in our room twice. Called for help. Each time managed to work at the lock to get it open. Risk for fire hazard, and made us late... although the staff in the morning knew of this, it was never offered to be fixed. 3rd night we avoided using the lock. Also complained our sink was plugged but nothing offered to fixing it. Also stood and waited 20min to check in.

An older hotel tastefully updated. What I think is due to age the structure is smaller (e.g. the bathroom). Rooms are average size. Fair price (booked with central reservations). Included breakfast was nice.

The rooms are renovated and they look very nice. The breakfast provided has several options and the quality of it is very good. I will stay again in this hotel if I come back to Calgary. Two thumbs up.

Needed a room for a day layover. They were able to accommodate where others failed. Room was nice and clean, comfortable. Liked the large mirrors and walk in shower. Bed comfortable, lots of pillows, will stay again

Stayed here for 5 nights and were very happy with room and service. We asked for a quiet room away from the elevators etc. which they gave us. Nice pillows and good shower, although would have liked to be able to turn the shower on without stepping into it! Would have liked better blackout blinds or curtains as blinds didn't go all the way to top so a strip of light shown into room. Great breakfast, lots to choose from including making fresh cooked waffles! Staff was very friendly and helpful. My husband left his cell phone at the hotel and once we realized this, we contacted them but were already on the road home. They made arrangements to courier his cell to us and we received it within a couple of days.

Staff is amazing, clean rooms, very well maintained! Very spacious rooms and they even supplied popcorn in the lobby! Would recommend this hotel to anyone and I will be back to stay again! Also a great location!

The front desk staff, especially Nikita was wonderful, very helpful and always had a smile. The cookies on the front counter were a pleasant treat after a long day, as was the popcorn, although that wasn't every day.

This is a nice hotel. They offer a good breakfast. It was a reasonable price. The pool and hot tub are small, though. We liked the location of it; right off Deerfoot Trail and Highway 1. Thank you, Best Western!

Great location in Calgary. The breakfast was ok-really missed having bacon though! The pool area is nice and it was interesting to have a shower in the bathroom instead of a tub! We tend to like our hotel rooms cool, and our a/c unit was functioning, but the room would warm up quite a bit before it would cut in. We reported it upon check out for maintenance, so not sure if it will be looked at or not. Would stay here again!

Check in was quick and easy, nice touch was popcorn and fresh cookies in the lobby. Room was in fantastic condition, clean, organized and easy to navigate. One of the best showers I have had. Big glass sliding door, great shower head, and the shower head made it difficult to get out. Breakfast was available, lots of variety for the family. I would book here again, no hesitation

A great place at a decent price. The breakfast was very good. We stayed two nights and they changed the food offered for breakfast each morning instead of offering the same selections.each morning. Our grandson loved the pool and we appreciated the later check out time. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We would recommend this hotel to anyone and would stay here again.

As we drove into the parking area of the Best Western Airport Inn Calgary, I wondered what our week would be like. (A third party had booked it for us). Our stay was very pleasant. The rooms were clean. The staff was accommodating. There was a hot breakfast available every day from 6:30-10:00 am. Other hotels end breakfast by 9am. There was freshly made popcorn available for guests in the lobby. Considering it is located in a busy area, it was also quiet. We enjoyed our stay here.

Outstanding service. This may be the top staff I have dealt with. They are customer focused in all aspects. The whole experience was a pleasure. The venue is clean and well kept and the breakfast is well laid out in a room large enough to handle a morning rush. Thanks for the great service.

The name is deceptive about 20 kms from airport but it in the flight path if that our thing. Very sterile look both outside and inside. Maybe that why we didn't find the staff to friendly. We normal like Best Western Hotels and stay in many elsewhere.

Awesome and friendly customer service. 24 Hour free coffee/cappuccino machine and tea was a bonus and not expected. Hot and cold breakfast was very good. Enjoyed the free popcorn and cookies upon check in. Bed was comfortable especially as I have a bad back.

I have stayed multiple times and have found the staff to be considerate and courteous. Accessible to Hwy 1. A shuttle to the airport. Quiet during the evening and the kids enjoy the pool. There is a restaurant wihin walking distance and a service station readily accessible.

Excellent location, close to the amenities we were travelling to in Calgary. Spent 3 nights at this location. Checkin and Checkout process was easy. Asked for a quiet room, and was provided a top corner room, very quiet during the stay. Room was clean and they called up to our room shortly after we checked in to ensure everything was ok-excellent service. Room was a double queen with fridge and microwave, bathroom not a full tub, just a shower. Note shower stall was very small larger or taller person will have a hard time showering in the stall, you must start the shower while you are in the shower so the shower is ice cold at the start. Wifi was fine during our stay. Did not use the pool or hot tub. Exercise room very small had stepper, bike, elliptical , treadmill and some free weights. Breakfast was standard typical fare, no seasonal fruit - just pears apples and bananas. Good value for the money, would rate higher except for the small shower bathroom area.

The rooms were nice and clean and the breakfast was great. Our issues with this location is the noise and the lack of parking spaces. When the hotel is fully booked, there is nowhere to park! And the noise is ridiculous. The staff in the breakfast room this morning literally woke me up, speaking in their native tongue LOUDLY and our room was nearby. Totally unacceptable. Also, sometimes we book and pay cash, other times we book and use airmiles. When we book and use airmiles it seems we have the crappiest room on the main floor near all the noise - seems to me this is on purpose if you use airmiles? I won't be coming here anymore, not terribly happy with some things at this location. At least at the location by the stadium, we get nice rooms and because we are BW rewards members we have free underground parking.

Room was average, nothing special. Front office staff working the night shift could not find our request of baby crib on their system as the person we spoke to during the day simply couldn't be bothered to leave a note. When we asked for a crib to be put in our room, the member of staff working there (his name is Miguel) disappeared to the back room and came out with a folded crib and said that I need to set it up by myself as he wasn't comfortable doing that. I asked the front desk staff on the following day about this and they shockingly said that if the member if staff is not comfortable setting up the crib, they don't have to do so. Now this is the most bizzare thing I've ever heard in the hotels I stayed in throughout my life. My advice to you is to check with the hotel if they "comfortable" with doing wiljat they are supposed to do. I wouldn't be surprised if the house keepers there are "uncomfortable" to clean your room or do your bed!!!! I will never ever recommend this place to anyone.

My family and I recently visited this location and while it was a very nice building with great breakfasts, the elevator was very small. When you got into the bathroom in the room you could not shut the door unless you were between the sink and toilet. When you got into the shower you could barely turn around. Plus the air conditioner was not working and when we switched rooms the new air conditioner wasn't working properly either. Other then those few things wrong everything was good.

We recently booked 3 rooms at the Best Western Airport Inn for a family weekend trip. 1) It is no where near the airport, but was basically on 16 Ave NE, which turns into the TransCanada Highway, so easy getting to Banff. 2) Parking stalls are ridiculously narrow. 3) Pool was too cold for most adults, but the kids all had fun 4) Breakfast is standard hotel fare; nothing to write home about. 5) Staff were awesome; very courteous and helpful 6) Rooms were clean with comfy beds and pillows; appreciate the duvets and white linens. 7) Bathrooms look like they've recently been updated, but the shower is challenging to turn on without getting wet (TIP: position the showerhead down, then try to turn on). Bathroom is tight though. All in all, we were pleasantly surprised by how nice the hotel was and how lovely the staff were. We also had an extremely good rate (roughly $100CAD/night), so good value.

The outside looks rather nondescript. But the room was comfortable and above average in size (2 beds in our room). Bathroom was spotless. The reasons to stay here are 1. the excellent front desk staff who are welcoming, friendly and engaging. When I asked for dinner suggestions - they gave me several options and printed directions for me to use! and 2. The breakfast area was one of the best I've seen - for free breakfast included (in this category of hotels). Breakfast was not quite cooked to order, but every item was well stocked and hot items were actually hot. Real plates too! And.... a cappuccino/espresso machine available all day with real cups. (The popcorn machine and cookies available in the afternoon are a nice touch too.) .

I stayed at the Best Western Airport Inn for three nights in early July as part of my western Canada trip. The hotel is located somewhere between the airport and the city centre which makes a car necessary. I had a large, nice room with a very comfortable bed. Room as well as bathroom was very clean and had all necessary amenities. Breakfast was excellent with a large assortment of eggs, sausages, Hash Browns, bread and cheese, coffee and fresh fruits. The people at the reception were all very kind and helpful. Suggested I left my car at the CTrain station and used the CTRain into town, which s easy and convenient. Felt safe at the hotel and surroundings. I would certainly be happy to stay here again.

Convenient location. Clean and well-staffed. Great pool, hot tub. Breakfast was delicious and easy to get in and out. Free wifi. Very quiet. I would totally recommend this hotel to family, friends and colleagues.

On check in we noticed that the hot tub was out of service - they'd cleaned it after a lot of use but decided to paint the step edges - during prime summer hours, and it was out of service for all but our last day. Also noted the mattress cover on the bed was severely stained with what looked like either blood or fecal matter. Didn't notice this until the third night and it almost made me sick. Made me wonder if they even changed the sheets because if the fitted sheet was changed they couldn't help but notice those disgusting stains. Not impressed. On our last stay the elevator was out and I had to carry my wife's walker up and down three flights of stairs - though we did get some assistance carrying luggage when we checked out. Wish I could add a picture of the mattress cover here.

Stayed with family at this hotel., Breakfast was very good, especially loved the fresh Belgian waffles! There were egg omelets, cereals, fruit, breads, sausages, hash browns coffee and tea and juices. Really appreciated the free popcorn in the lobby.

Recently stayed for one night after flying in from the UK. The rooms were tidy and staff were friendly. The breakfast was decent. Also has a pool and jacuzzi which we didn't have a chance to use. Would recommend to anyone who wants to stay in Calgary but not in the city centre.

The hotel itself was good, very clean and the employees very helpful, pleasant and courteous. The only downside it had was the breakfast. The food warmers were not labeled because normally one can tell the difference between meat and potatoes. What looked like potato patties was actually breaded rectangular shaped sausage patties. Normally no problem except I'm vegetarian.That one got thrown into the garbage. There was a liquid yogurt dispenser that didn't seem to work and when I asked about it the lady said "we don't have yogurt" Why then is there a yogurt dispenser set up? I don't drink coffee or tea but hot chocolate which they didn't have.The hard boiled eggs were kept in heated hot water which were hard and like rubber.Boiled eggs should not be kept cooking but instead be kept in cold water or refrigerated otherwise they turn into a rubber like consistency.The butter was frozen solid and not spreadable. The muffin tray was empty until we were almost done and ready to leave when the kitchen staff brought some out. The problem was that they were frozen solid. There was no care in the food preparation at all. We have stayed in many different Best Western Hotels and other Hotels with a free breakfast but this Hotel had the worst breakfast experience of them all.

Well we had switched out of this Best Western as they had changed their breakfast till later . So we were so glad the times had changed to earlier again . Our room was clean basic everything worked. The wifi could be better but we were very happy !

This was the worst experience in 19years at a BW hotel, hotel under Renos, room wasn't clean properly, shelf falling off the wall in bathroom, blinds didn't work, stale food at breakfast, hotel has gone downhill so fast in less then a year since it is under new ownership.

Horrible hotel. Ceilings missing in hallway, musty smell, tiny bathrooms, shower tiny, air conditioner rattled every time it started, had to make sure to pull your door shut because it did not close securely, breakfastt was horrible eggs and sausage was something I have never seen bananas were over ripe. Had to change rooms due to noise above us never had this issue at other Best Western Hotels. Complained about the internet. Not able to load properly even after a reboot. TV signal keep breaking up. Should have left and stayed elsewhere. Parking lot was questionable. Was not sure if our suv would fit under the overhang. An AR had to park against the building because it would not fit. The elevator is tiny never seen such a narrow door.

We had a blanket with blood stains on them. After talking with the front desk; blankets were replaced. Unfortunately, the replacements also had stains/markings on them. The bed was uncomfortable, the spring could be felt when sitting on certain spots on the bed. We talked to the front desk, but was told that it would take 2 months before the beds would be replaced. Cookies and popcorn at the front desk were delicious though.

Other than the size of the rooms the place was good. But once again for the price I'd say it was appropriate. The Breakfast was good too. Had to pop my head in the kitchen to ask for some things to be refilled but they got on it promptly and took care of it. I have stayed at other places where they charge you for breakfast and was disappointed. So overall it was a good experience.

This hotel was so clean and had such friendly staff and had yummy popcorn and cookies. It was a little ways out of town for us for where we are playing sports but it was worth the drive. We plan on staying here again when we come to Calgary

We stay at Best Westerns because we know what we can expect in service, cleanliness and amenities before we get there and we get no surprises. Love modern 24 hour coffee machines in the lobby, great breakfast plus a quick bagged breakfast snack we can take when we depart early and don't have time for a regular breakfast. Earning points that never expire are great. Recognition for being a loyal customer is also very nice. Firm and fluffy pillows great. Another hotel chain we looked at online gave a price that was reasonable but when we arrived the price was double because they were almost booked up like most others in town-no best western option. Felt like driving further and sleeping in the car in a Best Western parking lot!

This was a disappointing stay this time around. First off Im upset with myself as we had to leave the hotel at 6:30 am to get to the hospital for our child to have surgery. I usually put on the do not disturb sign but being so early I forgot to. When we got back that afternoon from the hospital I realized my new bathing suit was gone! I was first off very disappointed in myself because I wrapped my bathing suit up in my towel to dry so I could wear it that night. We looked all over our room through all 3 of us luggage and nothing. Our room was very nice and clean and fresh new towels. I went to the desk to check and see if they had it but nobody could find it anywhere. I was choked as I never spend more than the walmart prices for a bathing suit but my husband bought me this one from Manitou Spa in February costing $170.00. Do I think it was stolen NO what I think is nobody realized it was there and if anyone found it may have been embarrassed and didnt know where it came from and possibly threw it in the garbage. It is my Prayer it is just laying in a corner somewhere and it is returned to me. The second dissapointing thing about this is NO apology, I had to make a police report on the advice of the hotel manager. Lesson learned stick to WalMart bathing suits . affordable

It works for our needs! The price is typically the most affordable and the hotel is in excellent, renovated condition. We learned of the airport shuttle on this trip which really solved some transportation challenges. Breakfast is good!

This hotel was a disaster. They lost our reservation and though I had a printed copy of it form the booking site, had me wait for too long while looking for it. we had come off a long flight and had a cranky toddler, and they should have just had us check in then sort out their system. then when I went to iron my shirt, it left a big black triangle in the shape of an iron on my stark white shirt (which I needed to wear for an event that evening) because of something tar-like stuck to the iron. When I showed this to reception, I was simply given some detergent to try to get it out myself in the sink in the room. My shirt was destroyed. Housekeeping brought a replacement iron, which did not work - it just stayed lukewarm and was very frustrating. The hotel is also undergoing renovations and the hallways have lots of strong chemical smells as a result. People talking outside the room at 4am woke me up and never managed to fall back asleep. It's also not really very close to the airport at all (20 minutes drive) and the surrounding area is a drag – not much to eat and the hotel has no restaurant. Can't say I would stay here again – no matter the price.

Makeup air unit coated in pigeon feces and covered with ratty tin roof in front of window, bathroom so small I had to straddle toilet to close the door, no ledge for soap or shampoo, no water pressure

Initially, I was a bit apprehensive about booking this property. All of my concerns were quickly eliminated. Check-in was a breeze; the rooms were clean and more than adequate. I was impressed with the level of customer service. The staff were courteous and professional. The location was surprisingly quite with good access to major routes. The complimentary breakfast was fine with several options. For the rate, the choices available certainly exceeds or at the very least meets, what one usually has available to them. The only downfall is the lack of restaurants in the immediate area. However, if you are familiar with this part of town, there are numerous options within a short drive. The fitness area is not very funcitonal, but I am sure that it will improve. A great option for one or two nights.

We were on a little get away into the city, the 2Q room was comfortable, a little small but it did ok for one night. The kids enjoyed the pool. Wifi wasn't great throughout our stay, could be improved.

The hotel was dated; however, the room was clean, the staff were friendly, and the hot breakfast was good every morning. The breakfast room was a good size, and coffee and tea was accessible 24 hours a day.

I stayed for two days at this hotel and was very impressed . The level of customer service was truly fantastic , it's something that is severely lacking in so many other hotels right now . I had a room on the third floor which was nice , it was big and very quiet , although I did find the placement of the TV in room 318 odd as it impossible to view from the bed . Room was very clean and well maintained but I really wish the bathroom would have been just a bit bigger . I went to the pool and found it to be be very relaxing as it's a fairly large pool and is deeper then most of the new hotel pools . The hot tub was clean and well maintained as was the rest of the pool area . The free Breakfast included was very good , area was very clean and comfortable and with two waffle makers the wait for waffles was not long . The only reason I cannot give this hotel 5 stars Is due to the fact I own a truck I found the parking lot too small and the spaces were not wide enough . Other than that I highly recommend this hotel as it is very reasonably priced and very close to Deerfoot trail .

We always stay at this Best Western when we travel to Calgary. Rooms are always clean and well maintained. Easy access from this area to most areas and Stony Trail bypass as well as shuttle to Airport.

Stayed one night with my husband. Room was quiet, despite our floor being full of families with hockey players due to a tournament. Did not utilize the pool or hot tub as it was over taken with kids. The room was clean, all the amenities you could ask for and if you required anything else, it was available. I checked in on line and asked for extra coffee and did not receive it. So maybe their claim to having other amenities available is mis-leading? The bed was pretty comfortable but the sheets could use some upgrading. They were pretty rough and pilled up. I used to love staying at the BW because of the comfy beds and bedding. If you need to leave your car while on vacation, please note they charge $12/day! Other comparable hotels in the area are cheaper. Breakfast was one of the best continentals I have had. They had a fresh omelet station, cubed potatoes, sausage and eggs off the the side (I think a lot of people were unaware of it). However, food in the restaurant for supper was not great. Overall it was okay but I will definitely stay at one of the other hotels in the area next time.

I called to make a reservation and was told by whomever answered the phone that he couldn't make my reservation and would have to have someone call me back later. Seriously? I have been a loyal best western client for over 5 years and this is the kind of service i get for my loyal patronage? Ridiculous.

Airline connections required an overnight stay in Calgary. I booked online from my resort in Cancun. Easily done. I thought that the hotel would have been closer to the airport than it is. They provide a nice hot breakfast and also provided a paid cab ride back to the airport to catch our next flight.

I stayed here with a sports team and we had nothing but a positive experience with this hotel. The manager (who always seemed to be working) went above and beyond to accommodate any request. I really enjoyed the bathroom toiletries. The rooms were really clean. The hotel is close-ish the the airport ( a little misleading from the name) and I got the feeling I was in a less glamorous part of town, but for money it can't be beat.

Very accommodating staff! Upgraded our 2 rooms to Kings as our queens weren't ready as we were early arriving because of winter travels. Placed us on the quieter side of the hotel as we were staying 2 nights. Printed off a map for us for directions to my Dr appt. great breakfasts! Clean rooms! The only thing I can suggest as being a smoker, they do need some kind of a bus stop shelter for us with the bad habit as the wind chill outside was ranging from -30 to -35 C. Will definitely stay here again!,

We were in need of a place to stay for a couple of nights and this Best Western location was comfortable and convenient. The Staff were caring, friendly and helpful. There was a choice of continental or hot breakfast which really helped for being on the go.

Picked up timely by shuttle at airport. Very nice front counter staff. Room was also very good. Could use a shelf in the shower for soap etc Tasty free breakfast. Second stay here, would not hesitate to stay again.

Basic room, very well priced. The staff at the front desk were beyond friendly and helpful. We were worried it might be a dive when we booked the place, but it was well worth what we payed and the front desk were very helpful and pleasant arranging our shuttle/taxi to and from the airport.

Breakfast: good selection of hot or cold breakfast options to choose from, including fresh fruit, juice, and never out 24 hour coffee. Clean interior and exterior. Good parking, very close to the hotel entry. The only real negative being the very small (tight fit) bathrooms, with good linens. Overall 8 out of 10.

Convenient location to the Calgary Airport ( approx 11 minutes ) on Deerfoot trail. This BW sits just off the north side of Hwy # 1 on 18th Avenue NE. Very easy to get to and from. Clean and tidy, comfortable rooms and bed. Continental as well as Hot breakfast included. All the usual amenties. A definite "BEST" in this reviewers opinion, and I will stay again when in Calgary.

...when I booked this BW. I had thought it was the one at the airport but while it is older than the one at the airport it was named first. They do have a shuttle to get to the airport and is perhaps about $20 to $40 cheaper per night. In my case it was 14 blocks away from where I was speaking while the one at the airport would have been about 50 blocks. I made a great mistake! The building has been updated from the last time i stayed here. The reception on arrival was quick. The hotel is very well run and clean. The room was a King bed and was spotless and roomy. I had zero issues. The breakfast on my two days was excellent. I hope i make the same mistake again as it is really good. Parking tip: Park at the front as it is not as crowded as the rear parking is.

This place is pretty crappy. It is a good 20 mins from the airport without traffic. The shuttle bus only runs once an hour. The whole place smells like stale smoke even though the room is non smoking. The bathroom is super tiny. Glad i am only staying one night and it was cheap.

I stayed here one night when I was in Calgary to visit some family. It is a bit hidden away behind some buildings. The lobby had a nice sitting area, very welcoming. The check in was very fast and the clerk was friendly and thorough. My room was quite large. I had a single queen bed that was very comfortable. I had a window but it only looked out onto a rooftop so no view. The room had all the amenities you would expect. I utilized the exercise room while I was at this hotel and loved the equipment they had. It was snowing most of the weekend so I was glad they had a treadmill and such. They did have a pool but I did not use it. The breakfast was broken into two time frames One serving only continental with the second serving adding hot foods. I only utilized the continental breakfast. This was as expected, although I found the oatmeal was put in an odd spot away from the other cereals. I did have neighbors on my floor that were noisy but I did not report them until the next morning. All in all I would recommend this hotel because it was central to all I was doing and I had a good sleep and meal.

Was a good weekend away, comfy bed, friendly staff, good breakfast. Only problem was noisy housekeeping staff woke us up talking and giggling outside our room when we clearly had a no disturb sign out.

We (a young family) stayed here one night en route to another international destination. Our room was a bit outdated but fine overall. Unfortunately, the elevator was broken on our check-out morning, and my husband had to lug all our baggage down two flights of stairs. The breakfast was ok but only one toaster was working, which made things slow. Fine for a one-night stay and nice to be near the airport, but not the best stay ever.

Stayed here 1 night before our trip and left the vehicle there while we were gone. Park, sleep and fly rate was quite reasonable. Continental breakfast was as expected and shuttle service went perfectly both ways to/from. Our room was a little outdated, but all in all it was clean and amenities in the room were all in working order. Would stay there again.

Hotel is clean comfortable, and conveniently located in proximity to airport. Lots of restaurant options nearby as well. Free breakfast in the morning offers A LOT of options - hot & cold, for a variety of diet types. Staff (Giovanni & Archie) @ check-in were extremely helpful.

Hotel is clean and convenient with a fitness facility, pool and excellent breakfast. The location is close to the international Airport, Deerfoot Trail and the TransCanada Highway and business areas in the eastside of Calgary.

Property is conveniently located not too far from the airport, though you hear noise from the nearby firefighters' station 4.I think there is room for improvement on cleanliness and guest' service (for example I had to ask for the invoice, the night audit didn't get it ready for me when I checked out).

Love the price, breakfast and comfortable beds. Had a great stay. This hotel was very quiet and the staff were super professional and helpful. The parking was close to the entrance so it was easy to take our luggage in. Washer and dryer on our floor

The hotel is your usual Best Western but the staff was well beyond helpful. Everything we requested was acted on immediately and to our satisfaction. The hotel was very convenient to all areas in Calgary that we wanted to visit. The room was very good with one exception. The shower did not have holder for soap. This was brought to our attention before hand as the rooms had been upgraded and that part is still stuck at the border (not a major problem.

I stayed here for 2 nights September 26th-28th and found the hotel and rooms to be clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and welcoming. I did not try the breakfast as I was attending a conference elsewhere. I would recommend this hotel.

We were a party of four, we stayed here from 9 - 12 Sept our first hotel after flying I from UK. We found this hotel excellent very friendly staff at reception, some of our luggage was mislaid at airport they offered to deliver it to our room as soon as it arrived, the room was large clean and very comfy beds. Breakfast was good and staff were quick to help if you couldn't find things food was of good Quality I would recommend this hotel to any one who wants to get to a hotel quickly after a long flight, not to far to the city but away from the sky scrapers

This hotel is in an ideal location located just off the TransCanada highway! Away from busy downtown but a convenient drive to the airport, attractions, shopping and restaurants! Our room was spacious, clean and had a walk in shower! Breakfast is included and was very good, especially the cheese omeletts! We were very impressed and pleased to see security cameras in the parking areas!

This property needs a deep cleaning. Although the room looked clean in general, the tile floor in the shower was mildewed and stained. The counters behind the equipment in the breakfast room did not look like they had been cleaned in a long time. I would rate this an average hotel because we did have a great night's sleep and the price was right so close to the airport.

We stayed here for 3 nights, the free shuttle cars collected us from the airport and took us back at the end of our stay. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable of the eating facilities in the area, as they do not have an adjoining restaurant. In the morning we requested breakfast before the stated time, this was not a problem for the staff, buffet food was out ready, coffee made, and the fridge opened on request. Rooms were very spacious with a sofa and desk & chair so we could both relax without having to sit on the bed.

Front desk staff very helpful. Breakfast available and good quality Rooms clean, beds comfortable. Water pressure in the shower below average. Pool and hot tub quite nice. Very easy to find and numerous restaurants in walking distance

Stayed 3 nights. Very basic hotel, room was decent looking but the bed was not comfortable and the bathroom tiny. A good night sleep was elusive due to noise and the bed. The AC unit at the window was great for the birds, not for humans!

This was a wonderful facility. Everything was very clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool area was really nice. The breakfast had a lot of choices, all the food was very good and the seating area was exceptionally comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

Very friendly and helpful staff. They were very accommodating and allowed us to switch rooms twice during our stay to better meet our needs and comfort. Hot breakfast had a good selection. Comfortable beds, decent fitness centre. Great location, close to the Cross Iron Mills outlet mall. I also like hotels located in areas without tons of traffic

Basic lodging but clean and sufficient. Free breakfast is good but not amazing. I would stay here again for times when you aren't in the room much and just need a place to sleep. Staff was friendly and price was very reasonable.

Family and I enjoyed the hotel was a bit small, but manageable. Breakfast was ok, had better continental breakfasts. One day staff were busy they were running out of things waffle mix, plates, utensils, bread, juice but they were working hard to catch up for the guests. Went out for the day and room was nice and clean when we got back. I was very pleased to come back to a clean hotel. Would stay again.

My Wife, my Daughter and I stayed here for 2 nights on our way back home from B.C. We had a ton of Airmiles to use up so we decided to use them for a few hotel stays along the way. We were given Room 101 which has to be a converted broom closet they give to people who book with their points. When we arrived the dude at the front desk was very friendly and helpful so we were off to a good start. When we got in to our room my wife immediately noticed there was no bathtub only a stand up shower(our fault for not researching this before booking) I went to the front desk and asked if we could switch rooms to one with a bathtub so we could give our 3 year old a bath. He informed us that all rooms in this hotel only have a shower(again our fault not theirs) We unpacked our things and made ourselves at home. We noticed that the desk chair in the room was broken and didn't roll on the carpet but that wasn't a big deal. We had several flies in our room as well as fruit flies but it's summer so that happens sometimes. I went in to the bathroom to use the toilet and locked the door behind me only to have my Daughter barge in a minute later. I kicked her out and closed the door only to find the door didn't lock nor did it even close properly. We had a great time playing in the pool and relaxing in the hot tub. We returned to our room to have showers and go to bed. Once we were done we had a really nasty moldy smell in our bathroom for the rest of our stay. My wife woke up at 7am to the sound of dishes from the breakfast banging together in the employee kitchen area which was about 10 feet from our door. Dirty towels and sheets collected outside our door for the next few hours while the staff did the laundry 5 feet from our room. Next to one of the beds was a spot on the floor that would make a clanking noise when stepped on. I thought maybe this was where Chester Copperpot went searching for One Eyed Willy's gold. But when I went searching for the entrance all I found was a bunch of chips and skittles under the bed. I was joined later in the day by several giant ants in the stinky bathroom. I pointed them in the direction of the chips under the bed which they could bring home as long as they didn't attempt to carry my 3 year old off in the night. We were happy to leave when it was time to check out. The front desk staff was friendly again so at least the stay ended well. I hope not all the rooms in this hotel were in the same state as ours was and that we just got the airmiles room. We try to always stay in Best Western hotels on our travels but this is one we will not be returning to.

The room was nice and clean. Air conditioner was somewhat loud but didn't affect my sleep. Within walking distance to a good restaurant. Great hot breakfast in the morning. Well worth a stay. Quiet considering it is clise to airport.

We just spent 3 nights at this hotel and we were very pleased with everything. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The hot breakfast is good and everything you need. I love the fact that you can have tea, coffee, hot chocolate anytime of the day or night. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Thank you to Archie, Giovanni, and Tere who were very friendly and helpful and all other staff too (don't know all the names). The airport shuttle was great too. We would definitely recommend this hotel!

Hotel room is clean and quiet, which was very surprising despite the location close to the airport. The wifi is good, the staff extremely helpful and the included Breakfast offers a lot of variety. This was a very comfortable and well positioned hotel for those wanting a stay near the airport.

I stayed at this hotel while attending a Music festival at the Max Bell center. the hotel was kind enough to call us a taxi when we asked, which arrived quickly. The rooms were clean, organized and everything was in working order. Hotel provided breakfast but if you missed it there is also a Denny's across the street!

Hotel is clean and quiet, which was very surprising as it is close to the airport. The rooms are small but have everything you need. Breakfast offers a lot of variety. It is an average hotel and good value for the area. They provide shuttle service to the airport and for a quick overnight stay it is great.

I spent 32 years in the military spending many night in hotels around the world. Right from going onto the hotel web site and the res. being out sourced which cost me extra money to hotel staff not good

We went down to Calgary with out booking a reservation The staff was incredible they booked us in for the night gave us directions to local restaurants The pool was cold water - hot air in the room made it not to bad once u were use to the water. Our room had 2 Queen beds very comfortable clean but the room was small not much walking space between the end of the beds and the dresser and mounted TV The bathroom however was very small we had to climb over / around the toilet to close the bathroom door to get into the shower The whole toilet was a bit loose (not just the seat) so when u sat on it u rocked back and forth Breakfast was nice hot waffles eggs nice was to start the day Over all for all the Quirks to the room we would stay here again on another trip to Calgary Clean Hotel friendly staff reasonable prices

Clean, well furnished hotel close to airport with friendly staff: we landed very late after midnight at Calgary airport and hotel arranged for a complimentary taxi to pick us up swiftly at the airport. Great breakfast, free airport shuttle and hassle-free hotel for a one night long stay and on a trip to the area....A bit pricey for the location but hotels seem to be like that near the airport.

I've stayed here quite a few times and I like it even though it isn't downtown. Rooms are always clean, the front desk staff is always helpful and friendly. The price during Stampede was decent and the exercise facilities did the trick. $20 cab ride to downtown isn't a big deal. The only annoying thing (and this is totally my fault) is that I left my favourite belt in the closet when I packed up and left. I called four hours after I checked out and it wasn't found. I mean it's totally on me but come on....a belt? Honestly this isn't going to deter me from staying there again (again my fault) because I like the place I just wish I had my belt back.

Have stayed here multiple times and every time has been great. Beautiful clean rooms. Very friendly helpful staff. Beds are so comfortable. Great location just off the trans Canada highway and deerfoot in Calgary.

Bathroom facilities are poor, bath soap & shampoo can only be placed on the floor while taking shower. And most terrible is that there was no hot water in the shower, it seemed that the faucet control did not work!!!

Don't let the exterior fool you, this was a very comfortable and well positioned hotel for those wanting a stay near the airport. The rooms are clean, comfortable and despite the location close to major roads, very quiet. Only recommendation is to have a ledge in the shower area for toiletries. The wifi is good, the staff extremely helpful and the included breakfast was of a good standard and selection. Other food options are close by including a Dennys, Vietnamese restaurant and pizza shop along with a liquor store and convenience store across the road. It is also within close proximity (about 5 minutes in a cab) to a good size shopping mall (Sunridge) for those with a need for retail therapy! Would thoroughly recommend for those with a need to get to the airport.

Stayed here on business for 4 nights. Room 335. Location was ideal. Close to highways 1 and 2 Room was smaller, but well laid out, updated, clean, quiet and comfortable. Large flat screen, consistent internet connection, lots of hot water, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, in-room safe. Staff were all very friendly. Check in / check out was easy and professional. Breakfast was good. Food was hot, fresh. Dining room was very clean, local news on the TV Convenience store in handy location across the street, close to Dennys, check out Friends Pizza in plaza across the street, good pie - Donair place was so-so My only suggestion for improvement would be in the shower - there was no place to put soap/shampoo and wash cloth - you need a small shelf - had to try and balance soap on shower faucet - bit tricky Looking forward to my next stay SpeedBird approved !!

We only stayed here for 1 night prior to flight to JFK.New York.Absolutely first class service,good clean room,good breakfast and a shuttle service to the airport . Unfortunately not a great selection of restaurants in the area but would certainly stay there again if we were in Calgary.

Excellent value for your money. The staff were very helpful and friendly, went out of thier way to accomodate our large group, which was very much appreciated. Rooms are on the small side, but clean and comfy.

My second stay at this hotel. First stay was in May of 2017 and nice to see a year later it's still a great place to stay. Awesome staff, nice rooms, breakfast good (except for the coffee). Location is great too!

Location is great. Uncontrolled noise from kids running and screaming was horrible. Staff did nothing to stop this problem. No internet connection in the mornings, stayed for 4 nights and not once was there a quiet evening. Will never return.

This hotel was excellent in many ways, just be sure to talk to them if you cannot find a parking spot later in the eve, they will help you out. Food was great, clean rooms, hot tub and pool area was clean,

Took forever to check in even though we were pre-paid from our head office. Excessive paperwork and photocoping of ID, personal questions, etc. Then we were placed next to the pool (smell, noise). Our rooms smelled like cigarette smoke, there were kids running down the hall screaming late into the night the windows are really dirty (nothing to see anyway). The bed was comfortable.

Friendly staff. Good location near the airport. Few stores and restaurants in the neighborhood. Would stay there again. Breakfast was good. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. They also have a pool.

Room was small... sounded like a herd of elephants was above us.. breakfast was good.found a pill on our bed and we had a toddler with us...staff seemed friendly... parking is a nightmare.. fireball next door

This is my second stay at this hotel. Even though the hotel seemed full, you could you sleep peacefully at night. The bedroom is well arranged and have all the necessary amenities to make your stay a wonderful experience.In the morning also you could sit and eat your breakfast in an excellent atmosphere.

Front desk staff are very professional, friendly, helpful & knowledgeable. Hotel is at a very centralize location to access to rest of Calgary. Breakfast spread is very good. Love the idea that the Coffee & Tea is accessible 7x24 at the breakfast area & drinking our beverages facing the pool. No lag in internet and ample parking. Love the room washroom & shower area. Love this place.

We discovered this gem by accident. We were looking for a hotel to stay in Calgary. We are fans of Best Western. Over the years, we have tried each one of the hotels in the city. We soon discovered that this one was the friendliest, comfortable, quiet, of them all.

Decent hotel, really good amenities. Excellent stay for the price. Limited parking due to lots of snow. Pool a good size and location near Deerfoot was excellent. Would difinitely recommend and stay again.

After a long day we booked this hotel online due to price and the decent reviews/rating. Check in was very disappointing. As it was an Unexpected overnight with my son, credit card was left at home and they wanted a $500 cash deposit. The room was not even $100. Never have I seen this outrageous deposit for 1 night. . I get cash deposits but $500?! Room was decent beds comfy. Bathroom very small. Breakfast room had a dripping ceiling and could use an update. For a best Western this was very disappointing and will not ever stay again or recommend.

We stayed here for one night on our way through Calgary and it was such a great treat! The hotel staff that checked us in were very friendly; chatting and joking around is what I like when I meet the people who will be giving me my room - this first impression made my stay so much better. My king room was very clean and the bed/pillows very comfortable. We tried out the pool / hot tub and really enjoyed that after a long travel day. The next day we had the free breakfast (eggs, hash browns, meat patties, toast and waffles) delicious!! I love how small this hotel is; nothing complicated. This will be our regular hotel when we visit Calgary - I highly recommend!

Gray price and great hot breakfast. I he Hotel is fairly central as last cared on the corner of hwy two and Trans Canada. Great if you are driving as not a lot around it. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Stayed as it was a quick night over in Calgary and the price was very affordable. Was very supposed to see the hot breakfast in the morning and was delighted with the selection they had. I would have to say it was better selection than most I've stayed at. The rooms were a bit smaller but still lots of room for a family of 4 and were well laid out. No view from the window but we really only used the hotel for sleeping and did not hang out in the room very long. Did not get to use the pool area which is connected to the downstairs breakfast area but looked nice and kid friendly. Will be staying here again and look forward to our next visit

Nothing bad to say about this motel everything was great.Breakfast was really good and the room was very goo. Service was excellent.Parking was great and location was very easy to find. Area to find resturants easy to find and locate.

First impression of exterior did not impress but once we got inside everything changed. Desk staff were fantastic and they gave us a room of the third floor "away from the kids and the pool". The single elevator got us upstairs and the room was great. Immediate impression of the room was fantastic and it was clean and bright. We immediately noted a closet area (by the door) and three light switches to control different lights rather than the common single switch. The two queen beds each had four thick pillows which made watching the large flat screen TV mounted on the wall opposite the beds comfortable. The room had both a microwave and a mini-fridge which also was great. A coffee maker with plenty of supplies too The bathroom was a bit small but functional and amenities were great. We did not hear sounds through the walls but did hear kids running back and forth in the hallway (bad parenting rather than hotel issue). Although the hotel is located very close to the airport flight path, we were able to hear the planes but they were not annoying Breakfast (in a very nice area overlooking the pool area) is included in the stay which included eggs, sausage, waffles, yogurt, a variety of breads, apples and oranges, juices, and hot beverages

Stayed for one night. Room was clean and ok, staff was ok. Breakfest was better than Hampton inn- more options with vegetables etc Hotel have shuttle service to and from airport. Hotel is accesible only by car. There are some small shop or restaurant options walking distance from hotel.

Daughter stayed overnight for flight to San Diego originating from Vancouver. The hotel did not have staff for the shuttle from the airport, but they paid for taxi fair to and from airport. No other problems occurred during stay and booking room using points was hassle free.

Very nice friendly and helpful staff. Check-in and out was quick. Building is slightly dated but inside was clean and fresh. Was late for breakfast and asked for a coffee and the staff put together a plate of food for me as they were just cleaning up the dinning area and had just remove the hot food. Very thoughtful and much appreciated.

This hotel is not really an airport hotel as it is over 20 minutes from the airport to the hotel. The bathroom had a really nice shower in a bathroom that was so small I had to stand beside the toilet to close the bathroom door so that I could open the shower door. Could not dry my self with the bathroom door closed and could not use the bath mat. Front desk staff were very good on both check in and check out. and room service staff were very honest to report my cell phone left in the room. Would not use this hotel again for a short layover as it is too far from the airport.

This hotel tries very hard for your business and it is worth it. It has been well modernized and treats guests with respect and makes them feel welcome. I stayed three and had great sleeps, good breakfasts and a fast internet connection. What could be better?

I flew into Calgary and arrived early morning on a Saturday (7:30 am) and the shuttle can and picked me up within a half hour. The shuttle driver was also one of the desk clerks and she was awesome! I booked he room for Sat, Sun and Mon nights but the desk told me that the room they had booked me in was not used last night so I could get into it right away even though it was shortly before 8:00 am. I was picking up a vehicle from my son who recently moved to Calgary so we arranged for him to drop the car off at the hotel on a Friday night t and leave the keys with the front desk. They gave me my keys and said they were happy to help out! The room itself was very nice and appears to have been recently renovated The bathroom only has a shower (very nice and large) and was fine for me but I know my wife would have liked a bathtub had she been with me. The morning breakfasts that are included were very good, basic breakfasts with some hot options (sausage or patties with eggs, hash browns, pancakes and a waffle maker). This really can save money when you have a family staying with you. The hotel has easy access to major roads and allows easy accessibility I give this hotel a 5 Star as it deserves it.

Euro style rooms are compact/step saver/cozy. Reasonably appointed. Don't be intimidated by the bunker style exterior, it is quite nice inside. Clean room, friendly staff. NOTE: the airport shuttle takes about 10 minutes in quiet traffic and requires travel on the Deerfoot, which can get jammed up at rush hour. Give yourself time!

We were traveling to USA for holiday and stayed a this hotel, since they offer for a reasonable price, to leave your car parked, we stayed here. They have improved a lot since the last time we were here, however, the staff need to work and customer service skills, maybe not all of them but at lease Giovanni or one of the male front desk staff. The room was little, but very clean and nice. The complimentary breakfast was really good and you can access it even before 6 if you are leaving early.

Nice room, great breakfast, close to downtown. We would stay there again in a heartbeat. My husband liked the bed and pillows. Staff are very nice and helpful. Parking was readily available and very close to the front entrance. Shower had good pressure and was very clean.

It was our last trip for moving, trucks (2) to be picked up the next morning. Movie and supper at Applebee's before resting on the best beds in our room. My guests enjoyed their experience as they hadn't stayed at a Best Western before.

Not an airport hotel at all, we never heard any outside noise. Hotel was clean, the breakfast had lots of options and of high quality. The pool was great, and the room was very clean. All yhe staff were friendly and very helpful.

We were on a quick weekend trip and this was a last minute stop. Not sure why at check in they had to actually charge my credit card with $50.00 for incidentals then have to turn around and refund it, 2 transactions???? I have not had that done in a very long time. I have always had to have the card on file but not do an actual transaction! The room was clean, bed comfortable, updated decor. The bathroom was weird no tub, the door banged into the shower ,with very little room to actually shut the door to use the toilet, strange arrangement.

The location of the hotel is very convenient is travelling North or South on Deerfoot right off #1 Highway.- I found the parking lot tight for parking and the rooms quite small compared to other BW's - The room was clean and very quiet.

We enjoyed our stay. The staff was not friendly but not rude. The room was pretty clean. Comfy beds. Didn't have time to try out the pool or hot tub but did see people having fun in there. I did find it odd that I could hear so many planes just because I have stayed at hotels that back onto the runway of the airport and not hear anything. The sounds did not wake me in the night or anything I was just shocked because I didn't think we were “that” close to the airport. Very thin walls though. You can hear everything your neighbours are doing and walking through the halls you can tell who has their shower running. Again, this did not keep me up at night or anything just not used to it I guess. The breakfast in the morning was OK. The sausage patties looked a little sketchy and the hash browns were very dry. Waffles were good. No real complaints, decent for a free breakfast.

I booked on hotels.com and she I got there I realized that I couldn't leave my car because I didn't book direct. Jessica was amazing. She helped me so much and she dealt with me when i was stressed and cranked cuz I was sad I would lose my $ on hotels.com so she called hotels.com with me and helped me straighten it out. I cannot thank her enough for her hospitality. Will definitely stay here every time I need to fly out of Calgary. That is again Jessica

Recently stayed here for one night and found that this hotel had everything we required.The rooms are well equipped with all the usual amenities. It was very clean and the bed was very comfortable, There is no restaurant or bar in this hotel but a small tuck shop in the lobby. There was a free breakfast with hot and cold items. Lots of variety and well stocked. Lots of shopping with a nearby liquor store and restaurants. The swimming pool and hot tub was enjoyed after travelling. One suggestion would be for the hotel to clean the vent above the hot tub as it is unsightly. Price was about $150 with the various taxes and was lower than most in the area.

Spent two nights here recently. As a standard BW property this hotel exceeded my expectations. Check in was easy with exceptionally friendly front desk staff. Room was spotless, bed very comfortable, excellent cable TV availability, great wifi, excellent decor. Bathroom well lit, large, great shower (no tub), lots of good towels. Breakfast was the best of any BW I've stayed in. Great value for one or two nights in the airport area.

A family visit in a hotel convenient as you approach from Highway 16 TransCanada from east. An aged property ,but service and cleanliness are prime importance.Excellent breakfast. If you need to leave very early a courtesy snack bag is offered.There is an hourly shuttle to the airport.One restraint across the street ,mediocure but food. Others a few blocks away.

Definitely a hotel for people with out children. I booked it because it's close to the zoo but the pool is very very cold ! The hot tub isn't hot it's more like a warm bath. Breakfast was okay some items were questionable. Beds were decent not to hard or bumpy ! Staff is okay.

This is a great hotel that offers you so many good things for the money. They have very reasonable rates, one of the best breakfast. very clean and friendly staff. I will recommend to sign in to get Best Western Rewards. We have enjoyed many free nights. Close to down town and the airport. If you have kids they will like their pool. When we go to Calgary is the first place we check for a place to stay. We have stayed so many times that we consider this place like home. You will love it just as we do.

Good hotel for the night before a flight. About 15 minutes from the airport. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms and nicely appointed. Least expensive of the 3 BW near the airport. Not many restaurants nearby, so a little limited if you do not have a car.

Very nice hotel, in a quite area on weekends maybe more busy on weekdays. Great location close to shopping, attractions and airport. Relaxing rooms and great beds. Good breakfast. The breakfast lady was very busy but, pleasant.

Good value for the price. The room was very clean but a bit small for a party of three adults. The heating/fan was very quiet, which we appreciated. Breakfast was very tasty and the variety available was excellent. Loved the waffles!. The staff was courteous and very helpful. It was nice to have a shuttle available for the airport.

Great location and nice hotel rooms. Gas station and stores nearby and the hotel was built away from the highway. The room is quiet and comfortable. Friendly staff and overall value for the price is great! The morning breakfast is great, lots of fresh choices and fruits. café attendants are efficient and always have the counter filled up with foods and stuff. I will recommend to stay at this hotel whatever you are travelling on business or leisure.

Convenient and close to Calgary airport. The hotel provides free shuttle service, book with them one day before departure. This hotel is pretty new, the room I stayed was very clean and comfy. I LOVE their hot buffet breakfast!!

From the outside it did not look promising. The main lobby area also did not look enticing. However the reception agent was excellent. The room was a pleasant surprise as was the bathroom with the great shower. The breakfast ws first rate and well appointed..

We keep returning to this hotel every time we are in Calgary and have never been disappointed. Very reasonable rates, convenient location, friendly and welcoming staff, modern clean rooms, good breakfast and internet. This hotel provides all that I look for in a hotel stay.

We enjoyed our weekend at the Best Western Airport Inn. The location is excellent for accessing downtown, the zoo, Spark despite the Airport name. Our King room was comfortable and had lots of space. Great soap and shampoo, but odd towel rack height which meant water dripping down arms after washing hands. No bathtub, but excellent shower water pressure and temperature. The breakfast buffet had lots of choices, but some items seemed overcooked and the waffle irons didn't work very well. Use lots of the oil spray provided. I appreciated that they offered gluten free and dairy free options as this is an issue for some of our family members. They were not on the buffet so cross-contamination would be avoided. Overall, an enjoyable stay.

Very pleased with our stay. I would stay again. It was only 10 minutes from downtown and only 10 minutes to the airport very close to the zoo and many other amenities. The rooms were very clean the staff was accommodating when I requested to change to a room with a better View. Staff was very pleasant. And the rates were very reasonable.

I drove to Calgary from the east on Trans Canada Highway, and maneuvered to the hotel without difficulty. Easy drive f ok here to Calgary zoo. If flying into the city I'd appreciate the complimentary airport shuttle service. i hope the hot tub is soon back in operation.

Hotel is well located beside the Deerfoot Trail and Trancanada Highway, the staff is excellent, hotel was clean and quiet, room was nice with a good bed but there was only a shower , breakfast was good.

The hotel is small but very pleasant and was very reasonably priced. Room was clean. We really enjoyed the breakfast and were surprised with the variety of choices available. Food was refilled often and hot. We will stay in the hotel again when we travel to Calgary next time.

Overall pretty happy with this hotel and price. Stayed here mostly because it was so close to the airport. Nothing but a Denny's around though. my only complaints are that the parking lot was a bit tight, and the bathroom was cramped even though the room had plenty of unused space. Poorly designed bathroom to room space ratio.

The price of the hotel was great compared to its competition that's right across the road from them. The staff was nice, had answers to my questions and suggestions that will help me book my next room at a best western. Its a very nice hotel in a convenient spot with professional polite and kind staff.

Our stay at this hotel was comfortable and an awesome experience for the kids. It didn't fail my expectations. My aunt opted for express check-out during check-in and we didn't need to fall in line during check out. We just packed our bags and left the very next day. Both reception and kitchen staff were accomodating, courteous and kind. Our room was at the third floor and it was spick and span including the washroom/toilet. The A/C was functioning well as with the TV and remote, microwave, and mini-fridge. Coffee maker was a bit dusty in the inside but there's complimentary 24-hr coffee/tea served in the pantry/dining hall. Free wifi was strong and fast. Our stay included a complimentary breakfast. There were also complimentary coffee bags and tea bags available in our room as well as the usual toiletries. It would have been perfect if reception told us ahead of time the pool was to be drained and cleaned. We were already swimming for about an hour with the kids when service staff apologized and told us we had to leave since someone threw up in the pool and they had to clean it!! They could have written a note and taped it at the pool entrance informing anyone that the pool had to be drained and cleaned. Other than this situation, our stay had been uneventful.

Things are substandard compared to other Best Westerns I've been to. Security box not working, hot tub not hot, air conditioner leaking, water surged when taking a shower, beds were too hard, TV has no guide and no info.

The front desk receptionist that helped me was very accommodating and helpful. I think her name was Nikita. I asked for a different room and she did not hesitate one bit and basically made me feel that they want me to be a 100% comfortable with my stay. The room I was initially given was too close to the pool and having a very early flight meant that I need to sleep very early. The decor of the rooms are great. I like the contrast of colours. The bathroom is a little small but unless if you want to have a meeting there, then that shouldn't be a problem. Also, complimentary shuttle to the airport!!! So awesome! I'd definitely stay again.

This hotel is a nice quiet spot in a large city. It is close to major thorough ways and close to the highway, easily accessible. The staff is very welcoming and the facilities though a little older are well kept and neat. I would stay again.

This is our second visit to this Best Western hotel. I would rate this hotel as a 9 out of 10 - considering - price paid, location, cleanliness, comfort and the selection of breakfast items. What was appreciated the most was the friendliness of the front desk staff. If you are traveling through Calgary and in the Airport area I would recommend you give them consideration. They also offer a complimentary airport shuttle.

Smaller room, but clean and found a seat sale, so got a good price. Found it kinda sad you pay for the zoo package, on top of your room, had I got that it would have cost me more than just the room and zoo separate.

Poor breakfast, hotel shabby and falling apart, air conditioning doesn't work, dirty shower, cold hot tub. Gtoss deep fried sausage and uncooked eggs. I will never stay here again or recommend it to anyone.

We have stayed at the Best Western Airport Inn in Calgary many times, but not for the last two years as our travel did not take us to Calgary. The upgrades to the hotel in the last two years are really great. Fine staff, fresh, clean rooms, and a breakfast that was a cut above. Well done. Great value for the money.

Went to Calgary for a tournament at the Fox Hollow golf course, very convenient location and easy to find. Staff were helpful right from the phone call to book to checkout! Breakfast was a decent assortment of hot and cold items and rooms were clean. Love that you have a choice to run the a/c or open a window; my only issue was that there was no screen in the window. Although I didn't use the hot tub or pool, it looked inviting. Coffee in the room was tasty and there's a microwave and small fridge for convenience. After reading an article about how disgusting the germs are on a tv remote in hotels it was nice to see that they clean them and put them in a wrap so you know it's clean. Price wise, very economical considering its in Calgary! Loved the walk in shower too and fairly soundproof compared to other hotels I've stayed in.

The location of that hotel was perfectly accessible for both north-south and east-west highways to leave and drive. Breakfast was very good and we liked tasty brown hash. The receptionist was so helpful to solve my membership online and called the next hotel for room reservation quickly. Thank you for the excellent sleep overnight after driving a long way against the sunshine.

I stayed at the best western with my husband and 2 year old son. The front desk people were very nice and friendly. The room was very clean and the free breakfast was great and had a variety of choices.

Bed was lumpy. The room where we stayed could use a new carpet. Facility was older but was neat and tidy. Breakfast had more selections than the usual BW. The staff at check in was not friendly. Great location for our trip.

A good hotel but nothing special. Breakfast was typical but good selection (hot and cold choices). The pool area was small. Watch out... the roof is very low if you're driving in to the front door. I would stay there again for the price.

Though the hotel is a little older, the rooms are very clean. Beds are extremely comfortable and the staff are all very pleasant and are more than willing to assist you in any way! The location is close to the airport and highways for getting around the city.
