Best Western Hotel Airport Inn, Calgary

Beds were comfy and the man the front desk was polite and welcoming. My company is the lady that was cleaning up the breakfast. We were told breakfast goes until 10;30 and she gave us dirty looks and told us breakfast closed 10. She turned the lights out on us while we were still sitting and eating and just was rude and giving us looks. We finished breakfast at 10:18 and left unimpressed to say the least. Could go into more details but don't have enough space

We had hell of a time when the room allotted to us had poorly maintained AC. It quit on us from get go, made loud noise and no one cared except moving us to different room at 3 AM. Poorly maintained overall.

The Front Desk Agent offered you a room move because we do not have a maintenance person on staff when you claimed this issue. Unfortunately when maintenance issues occur they are out of our control. All of our AC units are all controlled by the thermostat on the wall and everything was confirmed to be working the next day by the maintenance staff. The controller is set on auto-fan and it kicks in every time interval. We strive to make each stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible, and we appreciate that you brought your experience to our attention. We picked a hotel close to the airport since our flight arrived late. It was not easy to find. The parking was terrible and the hotel wasn't any better. We worry worried about bed bugs that's how bad it was. The only reason we stayed was because it was only to sleep overnight. I stay at Best Western quite a bit so really disappointed.

The hotel is inspected regularly and the pest control company always do a thorough and documented inspection of the whole property and there is no bed bug. This is the first Best Western in the Town and the property is named as Airport Inn. We never changed the name even if there were newer hotels that are closer to the airport. Stayed here on the last day of our vacation. Hotel was easy to access, beds very comfortable and the options on the breakfast buffet were varied. All food was fresh and well done. All containers were kept filled. But what I value most is the coffee and OJ, nothing watered down, they do a great job.

We stayed at this same hotel 13 years ago and the pool water was extremely cold and just stayed here this past weekend and the water was cold still and the toilets need replacing as the tanks refill very slowly and we had to use the ice bucket to refill after using. The staff were very helpful and friendly! Free breakfast was good.

Although the location is not exactly picturesque, it is convenient as it is located near the highway. The staff were friendly and helpful. The property generally could use some updating as the overall impression is worn. Our bathroom was extremely small with a sink that didn't properly drain even after it was repaired. All and all as practical accommodation, it is a reasonable value.

A decent-sized clean double queen room. Having a microwave was very handy. Breakfast was good, and I liked the option of 'built your own yogurt ' and individually wrapped muffins. Staff was very helpful.

The location was great, the staff that welcome me on the front desk named Marites was excellent. Our room was ok but washroom was too small, and they forgot to put towels on our check in we need to ask for one. The pool seems not maintained no towels and no emergency tools in case of emergency . The price is expensive

We stayed here after coming back through town on a trip from bc. This was the middle point of our travel. Regardless we booked it with free points. Checked in and within less than an hour checked out and left. The room had such an awful stale/smoke smell/perhaps a decaying body smell that we couldn't even stand the smell of it. We pulled back the sheets to see that they had stains on them. The ceiling had stains as well. The breaker box on our floor was left open. The elevator creeks and you wonder if you will make it out of the elevator. The second floor has a window that is open and screen less on the staircase. The main lobby has some “old” bugs along with the dirty hallways and Stained carpets. We did complain at the front to which the employee seemed embarrassed and speechless. I felt bad for him but wanted him to know why we were leaving. He offered to change our rooms but I said the smell of the room was what we couldn't do and he looked at us with a blank stare as if he couldn't help us at all. We left and booked at another BW. We have stayed at many hotels and have never left before. We've stayed at many best westerns and never had issues before this either. I would not come back to this hotel. Anyone who finds this hotel suitable has very low standards.

When we arrived we were put in a room on the first floor, behind the front desk, which was not fit for human habitation. The room was dirty and gross. Furniture and lampshades broken Dirty walls and door. Big stain on one lamp shade that appeared to be either blood or poop. Doors on cabinet were broken, desk/dresser had chunks out of it. Lampshades torn and dishevelled. Stains. We felt itchy just going in the room. It looked like someone had been murdered in it. Requested another room as it was completely unacceptable. Shown another room next to it that was in similar condition. Then shown a room in second floor that was somewhat better, and we took it as nothing else avail during stampede. Still had broken furniture, stained walls etc, but improvement over main floor. Staff were good, and very helpful when I had covid. Room was cleaned well when I requested at end of isolation time. Hotel needs serious renovations, maintenance and deep cleaning. Would not stay here again.

The floor was completely warped and had soft spots. Not sure how it passes inspections. Also had a hair in the one bed and the information card on the desk was not cleaned as it had hair and a sticky substance on it.

Had to find a hotel the name of this hotel suggests it is close to the airport it is not. My dismay at the expensive cab ride was eased by the lovely staff. The service is reason enough to choose this hotel.

Overall good experience at Best Western for the price paid! There is a promotion of 1 night free stay on Fall/Winter for customers who stayed 2+ nights given that you register with them (not bad!). Would definitely recommend to friends!

The hotel says airport inn but it is not the closest to the airport - that being said it is a lovely, clean and friendly hotel. The staff was very accommodating - especially since we showed up at midnight. ( our flight was cancelled) The room was super clean and the bathroom/shower was very nice and looked new. The beds were super comfortable and cosy and we got a good nights sleep. The breakfast was complimentary and had a nice variety of things to eat. Coffee was good too. We asked for a wakeup call and got it, and we asked for a cab and it was there on time. Overall a very nice experience.

The hotel room was clean. Staffs were friendly and helpful. Food was good, although wasn't included in the price. Have other restaurants within walking distance. Hotel decor is good and modern. Location is good

Close to amenities and highways. Room was clean, wasn't asked if we wanted room made up on first day. Breakfast is decent. Second floor window in main corridor looks like it could use some repairs. Hotel has pool so great for the kids.

Room 213. North side of the building facing 18 Ave. A One Queen room. It overlooks a fairly quiet residential street, quiet except for when the firefighters at the fire hall next door must go out and sound the siren! (a couple times a night). Room tip: go for a room on the outer periphery of the building. The inner rooms like #203 and #218 face out to the roof mounted HVAC units which emit a low thrumming noise in the night.. Price About Cdn$105 per night all in. We chose the Best Western again to be near our kids' house. The previous comments about the good mattress, solid WiFi, pool and hot tub still apply. On this busy long weekend the hot tub got a little foamy (they tend to do that). Our one queen room was on the small side. Next time we will try a King room, or go across the street to the Holiday Inn. Bathroom is really small. There are no bathtubs in any of the rooms in this hotel. The drain in our sink succumbed to its lever disconnecting from the plunger; good on them repairs were done and on Easter Sunday too! All harping aside everything works. Breakfast was pretty well back to pre-COVID days: which means more choices and you serve yourself. The usual fare for a breakfast buffet in a hotel of this class: the muffins, cereal, yogurt, milk, fruit, toast, pancakes, etc. As well there are scrambled eggs (mind you these are like the reconstituted "eggs" you get on an airline), sausage, bacon and hash brown potatoes. o serve yourself: the attendant must do it for you.

Was just fine for one night not my favourite best western but very clean and nice staff. My particular room was near a rooftop where, to my dismay there must have been a pigeon family reunion. Other then the bird party it's was a good stay

Will never stay there again. Horrible smell in the room. They did move us, but highly inconvenient as a family of 4 strung for 4 nights. Staff gave us a tiny discount and didn't seem to feel like it was a real problem.

Our experience staying here was great! Our room was nicely decorated, the beds were comfortable and made up with nice linens and each bed had 4 pillows. All the usual amenities were there including microwave, fridge and Keurig coffee maker. The bathroom looked newly renovated with a lovely shower and was well stocked with good quality towels and toiletries. The room was very clean and we felt safe and comfortable throughout our stay. One thing that stood out to me was that everywhere in the hotel we went, the lobby, hallways and our room smelled very fresh and pleasant. I've never noticed that in other hotels. The staff were all wonderful! Everyone we encountered from the check in and check out staff, and the breakfast room attendant seemed to really enjoy their jobs. They were kind, polite and helpful and we appreciated their warm smiles. Shortly after arrival we tried to turn on the heater and found that it didn't work. After calling the front desk, the gentleman who checked us in was at our door within a minute and showed us the thermostat on the wall. We had been trying to turn it on at the actual unit. Oops! Lol. We thank him for his courtesy and professionalism and for not laughing at us! Lol I highly recommend this hotel and I will definitely stay here again the next time I visit Calgary!

We had early flight going home to US and i never been in the area, just found BWH through google, price is right, service is okey, a decent place to stay.. my kids and my nephews enjoyed the pool, me and my sister love the hot tub, free coffee is great.. customer service is great.. they packed a bag of snack for us for early checked out.. definitely we'll love to stay again on next travel..!!!

After leaving the hotel at 12am to pick my husband up from a 12 hour flight I returned to the hotel at 1:30am to no available parking. I asked the front clerk as to what to do and was told I might as well try to find another hotel for the night. This was unacceptable to me as I was with an extremely tired husband and 8 year old. We parked in the entrance with enough room for vehicles to go around our truck. I then asked the clerk if this was going to be an issue and he told me he was too busy to look and see where my vehicle was. We left our vehicle there but got no sleep as we were up checking numerous times throughout the night and finally moved it at 6am to an available spot.

Hotel is close to dining and close to downtown. Felt safe pool was cold hot tub was great, stayed in 116 and will never stay on the first floor again, due to the pool side there was no sleeping In and no early bedtime

Well-placed near the airport and plenty of dining options. Ordered pizza from Friend's Pizza, and they had it at the door very quickly - and it was delicious! Covid-carryout breakfast exceeded expectations. Quiet and comfortable room.

Good location for access around calgary . Good and competitive price with free brake fast in morning . Hotel staff and cleanliness is better than expected. Giving 4 start only reason is Mattress & linen were old but clean.

I often stay at this hotel when travelling to work from Calgary airport. I find the rates very reasonable and the hotel itself is clean and the beds are comfortable. Internet works just fine which is more than you can say for some of the more expensive hotel chains. Breakfast isn't the greatest but it's OK. Overall for the price you pay it's good.

Hotel is obviously dated, but room decor was nice enough. My room had a dripping shower head and buzzing light but was otherwise ok. Breakfast was not good, but that's just my opinion. If you're over 6' tall, Be prepared to hurt your neck getting into the hotel. The awning leading in is VERY VERY low. Staff were great though and the room was good enough for what I needed. I would t take my kids or family here, but for a quick sleep in between running around the city alone it's fine.

The room was decently clean, however all of our linens and towels had yellow stains on them. They were clean, but stained. Which was still quite unpleasant. We asked for fresh linens, but even the fresh set had some stains on them, as well as the blanket. The breakfast, on the other hand, was delicious, fresh and hot. The coffee was also great.

This place is the definition of a DUMPSTER!! & it's not what you'd normally expect from the Best Western brand. Everything in the rooms is either broken or falling apart. The rooms are very dirty and look absolutely nothing like the deceiving pictures used online. Walls are paper thin so you can hear everything, and I mean everything going on in neighbouring rooms. Management & staff are beyond rude and unhelpful. Also, this hotel is located in a very dingy, shady part of town. Not safe at all for families or anyone really. Much better options in the city for the same price or less. You've been warned!

We had to catch an early flight out of Calgary Airport and this Best Western provided all of my requirements: 1. close to the airport; 2. gas station nearby to fill up the car rental. 3. free breakfast (if only we had the time; but needed to go before it opened. Note: we were offered their "to go packed breakfast" but had to leave at 5:45. Ever question was answered by the front desk lady! Great sleep and our wake call was right on time. We would come back!

I would not hesitate to book here again! The staff were great, very helpful and accommodating. Close to amenities. The breakfast was very tasty and plenty of options. Beds were SUPER comfortable. My daughter loved the pool and hottub!

One night stay-over in Calgary, chose the location to be near our kids' house. It is a middle - aged building, mostly renovated, but the unevenness of the floor in the hall tells you there has been some construction to tack on additions to the structure over the years. Our room #218 is in a funky location: a corner, which makes for a funny room layout (can't see the TV while sitting in bed). The window overlooks a scenic view of a HVAC unit, fortunately not a super noisy one because we sleep with open windows. The plumbing needs some TLC. Single lever water control for the shower is plumbed backwards: "HOT" gets you cold water and vice versa. Apparently our room was not alone. The toilet flush was funky: must push lever really fast or you don't get a full flush. To the staff's credit they did give us a rate adjustment for the funky shower and we wound up spending $100 for the night. Gramma liked the mattress. Good solid WiFi and thank you for equipping the room with bed side lamps that have plugs for charging your electronics. (So many hotel rooms are real shy of outlets.) The pool and hot tub are nice. Hot tub although a little small is clean (no green scum) and has good powerful jets. Lots of kids seemed to be enjoying the pool. Breakfast was somewhat modified for COVID although a lot better than some I had seen on the same trip. They had all the muffins, cereal, yogourt, milk, fruit, toast, pamcakes etc. A little shy on the protein: some synthetic - looking eggs and some sausage. No serve yourself: the attendant must do it for you.

I love this hotel and always stay here when I am in Calgary. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. We always stay at the Best Western Airport location when we are in Calgary because of the wonderful service. The rooms are always clean, as is the lobby. I have never felt unsafe in the parking lot at night, as in some other hotels. I highly recommend this hotel.

The location was great for my family and I for what we wanted to do. The dead bolt wouldn't lock took 2 days to fix it but it did get done bathrooms are very tiny u need to squeeze in the back of the toilet to shut the door to go to the bathroom and use the shower not much room to put ur legs when sitting on the toilet. I wouldn't recommend and one over weight or scared to be in such tight spaces as the bathroom isn't great. Every thing else was ok also the hot tub was small fits family of four I couldn't use hottub

The ad did not match the pictures. Its an older hotel was disappointed. It was pricey for what we got. The brochure in the room (covid) did not match what was happening. Pool times were not listed right as well, it said the breakfast was not happening when in fact it was.

Professional and efficient front office team and support staff who are always willing and accommodative to customer requests. I work in Calgary frequently and generally always stay at this hotel. The staff is excellent and the location is great for getting around Calgary. Pre covid, this hotel had an excellent breakfast and I'm hoping it returns soon.

We were greeted in a very friendly manner. The front line and reception staff are absolutely wonderful, friendly, accommodating and pro-active. They even called us in the room to let us know that a time slot for the pool had become available. The room was very clean and quiet. We received to go breakfast in a paper bag with a very tasty breakfast burrito (which you could warm up in the micro-wave), juice, muffin and fresh coffee. The pool area was also very clean. We would definitely recommend this hotel and stay there again.

So frustrated. Service sucks and everything else. I stayed for one night just to get away and have a peaceful night. When I got there, You could tell that the place was empty because there was only one vehicle parked in the parking lot and mine. I was greeted by this guy at the front desk , gave me a room in the 2nd floor. So Room 204, was the WORST room you could ever had especially if you are paying customer. The room was dark, the window is small and your view is this huge ugly furnace and that's basically your view. For a person who needs to get away and have some peaceful stay, this is not the room nor the hotel you would want to stay at. So I called the front desk to change room and I was moved to the very very end of the floor. But to me that time, I just want to rest and be done with it. The next morning, went downstairs for a hot breakfast and was surprised with this brown bag that was handed to me. Sorry I don't think that what it said on the website... I chose this hotel for the gym and HOT breakfast. They give you breakfast like your a kid going to elementary school and that's your lunch bag. Coffee? yes just coffee, don't look for teas or hot chocolates or decafs coZ they don't have that either. Anyways, I got an email shortly after my stay to give a review like normal protocol. Sure why not and so I wrote down everything I said here. Then I got an email from a manager at this location. His name is Joe Komaric. On his email, it stated to give him a call if he can provide assistance and so I called him. When he answered the phone. I introduced myself and gave him a little of details regarding the email that was sent. He had no idea at first to whom he was talking to. So not sure if he sends a lot of the same email to a lot of angry customers that's why he could not remember.eventually when he remembered , Joe just said “I apologize” and that's it. Nothing to repair it or making the customer feel better/satisfied. No professionalism and absolutely poor service. Needless to say that I will never ever set my foot onto this hotel/motel ever gain. For the price I paid, I could definitely go to a waaay better hotel around the area with better nicer facility and better service.

Nice hotel, small but with the necessary things. Very comfortable and adequate to spend one or two night, specially if you are flying somewhere. The hotel was upgraded recently and still one of my first choices when flying.

I had booked this hotel because of the full breakfast. Yet, when I called to confirm they are still, in September only offering a garbage bag for breakfast. If you like sugary junk like a muffin and granola bar it will be fine for you. They had their excuse of course. But by this time in services opening up more everywhere many decent and even cheap hotels are offering hot breakfast items, or at least things like a hard boiled egg or yogurt for some protein. The pool is also still closed here, while for the same price you can head over to the Comfort Inn and Suites University and get a better breakfast, a pool and waterslide for the same price (at least was when I booked). So I canceled my reservation with BW. It's too bad because they would normally be our preference, but I expect more from BW. No excuses. You could even provide a breakfast voucher at some fast food place where people can at least get some bacon and eggs.

Reasonably priced good accommodation. Good accommodating staff. My only issue was with the Grab n Go Breakfast. Nowhere near enough "selection". I know we have Covid but choices would have made it much better - including a hot option like a breakfast sandwich or breakfast burrito to heat up in the microwave in the room.

It was a wonderful stay, was not expecting the service that we got. The "Breakfast in a Bag" was an great idea...fresh fruit and option juice or water. It was fun brought the bags up to the room and it was random who got the Chocolate Chip Chocolate Muffin...great way to get the kids days rolling almost like a breakfast game!!

They say that rooms are non smokers but the room smells like cigarette.... the matress is bad but the bathroom is perfect and clean. I GUESS it does the job for the price. But wouldnt stay any longer !

Lobby was very clean, easy to find this hotel Great staff and breakfast lots of choices! Rooms are very clean and there was no carpets in rooms or hall ways which I enjoyed. Parking was great easy in and the parking area was cleaned of snow and ice.

We enjoyed the staff and service at this hotel everyone was very friendly! The rooms were a bit small for our family of 4 but for a couple or buisness travel this hotel is perfect. The bathrooms were exceptionally small offering to only a shower with a glass door offering no access to help younger kids if needed. Room was clean. Our kids thought the pool was a bit small but still enjoyed splashing around. Deffinatly recommend this hotel for adults family's for a quick stop over. This hotel offers a great price for the value.

It's a new building so it's nicer than other hotels great staff very accommodating and professional. The room itself very spacious and comfortable nice bed you have a couch that you can enjoy as well to sit and relax. The bathroom that's on the very small side you have enough room to get inside and just close the door if your petit god knows what the architect was thinking when they done the plans. Pool hot tub amazing had the hot tub to myself was nice. Breakfast was great really enjoyed long hours 0630-1000 and quality and they even have real plates and utensils which is wonderful.

Good value for your money Staff very helpful and friendly, quick to get anything that you asked for. The swimming pool was a good place to relax, the floor in the pool area was a little slippery. Parking area a little tight for pickups

The Best Western Calgary Airport Inn is my hotel of choice when I stay in Calgary. It is reasonably close to the airport but not so close as you have to hear the air traffic all night long. The staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and very quiet. The Best Western breakfast is great, with lots of variety and waffles, our favorite. I highly recommend this location for your stay in Calgary North East.

The Best Western motel location was very convenient in relation to my need to get up early the next day to catch a flight at the Calgary International airport. Also the motel was very near a gas station where it was convenient to fill the gas tank of my rental car before returning it at the airport rental location. The staff was very friendly and answered all of my questions in a very friendly manner. I would stay at that Best Western location again.

a good location on highway # 1 (16th Ave) near Deerfoot - very clean and nice room but a bit small. Television stations limited, loud partiers in the hall very late at night. breakfast selection is average. staff were very friendly.

Nice hotel with convenient location, good value and good breakfast. Disappointed that we got locked in our room twice. Called for help. Each time managed to work at the lock to get it open. Risk for fire hazard, and made us late... although the staff in the morning knew of this, it was never offered to be fixed. 3rd night we avoided using the lock. Also complained our sink was plugged but nothing offered to fixing it. Also stood and waited 20min to check in.

An older hotel tastefully updated. What I think is due to age the structure is smaller (e.g. the bathroom). Rooms are average size. Fair price (booked with central reservations). Included breakfast was nice.

Needed a room for a day layover. They were able to accommodate where others failed. Room was nice and clean, comfortable. Liked the large mirrors and walk in shower. Bed comfortable, lots of pillows, will stay again

Stayed here for 5 nights and were very happy with room and service. We asked for a quiet room away from the elevators etc. which they gave us. Nice pillows and good shower, although would have liked to be able to turn the shower on without stepping into it! Would have liked better blackout blinds or curtains as blinds didn't go all the way to top so a strip of light shown into room. Great breakfast, lots to choose from including making fresh cooked waffles! Staff was very friendly and helpful. My husband left his cell phone at the hotel and once we realized this, we contacted them but were already on the road home. They made arrangements to courier his cell to us and we received it within a couple of days.

The front desk staff, especially Nikita was wonderful, very helpful and always had a smile. The cookies on the front counter were a pleasant treat after a long day, as was the popcorn, although that wasn't every day.

This is a nice hotel. They offer a good breakfast. It was a reasonable price. The pool and hot tub are small, though. We liked the location of it; right off Deerfoot Trail and Highway 1. Thank you, Best Western!

Great location in Calgary. The breakfast was ok-really missed having bacon though! The pool area is nice and it was interesting to have a shower in the bathroom instead of a tub! We tend to like our hotel rooms cool, and our a/c unit was functioning, but the room would warm up quite a bit before it would cut in. We reported it upon check out for maintenance, so not sure if it will be looked at or not. Would stay here again!

Check in was quick and easy, nice touch was popcorn and fresh cookies in the lobby. Room was in fantastic condition, clean, organized and easy to navigate. One of the best showers I have had. Big glass sliding door, great shower head, and the shower head made it difficult to get out. Breakfast was available, lots of variety for the family. I would book here again, no hesitation

A great place at a decent price. The breakfast was very good. We stayed two nights and they changed the food offered for breakfast each morning instead of offering the same selections.each morning. Our grandson loved the pool and we appreciated the later check out time. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We would recommend this hotel to anyone and would stay here again.

As we drove into the parking area of the Best Western Airport Inn Calgary, I wondered what our week would be like. (A third party had booked it for us). Our stay was very pleasant. The rooms were clean. The staff was accommodating. There was a hot breakfast available every day from 6:30-10:00 am. Other hotels end breakfast by 9am. There was freshly made popcorn available for guests in the lobby. Considering it is located in a busy area, it was also quiet. We enjoyed our stay here.

The name is deceptive about 20 kms from airport but it in the flight path if that our thing. Very sterile look both outside and inside. Maybe that why we didn't find the staff to friendly. We normal like Best Western Hotels and stay in many elsewhere.

I have stayed multiple times and have found the staff to be considerate and courteous. Accessible to Hwy 1. A shuttle to the airport. Quiet during the evening and the kids enjoy the pool. There is a restaurant wihin walking distance and a service station readily accessible.

Excellent location, close to the amenities we were travelling to in Calgary. Spent 3 nights at this location. Checkin and Checkout process was easy. Asked for a quiet room, and was provided a top corner room, very quiet during the stay. Room was clean and they called up to our room shortly after we checked in to ensure everything was ok-excellent service. Room was a double queen with fridge and microwave, bathroom not a full tub, just a shower. Note shower stall was very small larger or taller person will have a hard time showering in the stall, you must start the shower while you are in the shower so the shower is ice cold at the start. Wifi was fine during our stay. Did not use the pool or hot tub. Exercise room very small had stepper, bike, elliptical , treadmill and some free weights. Breakfast was standard typical fare, no seasonal fruit - just pears apples and bananas. Good value for the money, would rate higher except for the small shower bathroom area.

The rooms were nice and clean and the breakfast was great. Our issues with this location is the noise and the lack of parking spaces. When the hotel is fully booked, there is nowhere to park! And the noise is ridiculous. The staff in the breakfast room this morning literally woke me up, speaking in their native tongue LOUDLY and our room was nearby. Totally unacceptable. Also, sometimes we book and pay cash, other times we book and use airmiles. When we book and use airmiles it seems we have the crappiest room on the main floor near all the noise - seems to me this is on purpose if you use airmiles? I won't be coming here anymore, not terribly happy with some things at this location. At least at the location by the stadium, we get nice rooms and because we are BW rewards members we have free underground parking.

Room was average, nothing special. Front office staff working the night shift could not find our request of baby crib on their system as the person we spoke to during the day simply couldn't be bothered to leave a note. When we asked for a crib to be put in our room, the member of staff working there (his name is Miguel) disappeared to the back room and came out with a folded crib and said that I need to set it up by myself as he wasn't comfortable doing that. I asked the front desk staff on the following day about this and they shockingly said that if the member if staff is not comfortable setting up the crib, they don't have to do so. Now this is the most bizzare thing I've ever heard in the hotels I stayed in throughout my life. My advice to you is to check with the hotel if they "comfortable" with doing wiljat they are supposed to do. I wouldn't be surprised if the house keepers there are "uncomfortable" to clean your room or do your bed!!!! I will never ever recommend this place to anyone.

My family and I recently visited this location and while it was a very nice building with great breakfasts, the elevator was very small. When you got into the bathroom in the room you could not shut the door unless you were between the sink and toilet. When you got into the shower you could barely turn around. Plus the air conditioner was not working and when we switched rooms the new air conditioner wasn't working properly either. Other then those few things wrong everything was good.

We recently booked 3 rooms at the Best Western Airport Inn for a family weekend trip. 1) It is no where near the airport, but was basically on 16 Ave NE, which turns into the TransCanada Highway, so easy getting to Banff. 2) Parking stalls are ridiculously narrow. 3) Pool was too cold for most adults, but the kids all had fun 4) Breakfast is standard hotel fare; nothing to write home about. 5) Staff were awesome; very courteous and helpful 6) Rooms were clean with comfy beds and pillows; appreciate the duvets and white linens. 7) Bathrooms look like they've recently been updated, but the shower is challenging to turn on without getting wet (TIP: position the showerhead down, then try to turn on). Bathroom is tight though. All in all, we were pleasantly surprised by how nice the hotel was and how lovely the staff were. We also had an extremely good rate (roughly $100CAD/night), so good value.

The outside looks rather nondescript. But the room was comfortable and above average in size (2 beds in our room). Bathroom was spotless. The reasons to stay here are 1. the excellent front desk staff who are welcoming, friendly and engaging. When I asked for dinner suggestions - they gave me several options and printed directions for me to use! and 2. The breakfast area was one of the best I've seen - for free breakfast included (in this category of hotels). Breakfast was not quite cooked to order, but every item was well stocked and hot items were actually hot. Real plates too! And.... a cappuccino/espresso machine available all day with real cups. (The popcorn machine and cookies available in the afternoon are a nice touch too.) .

I stayed at the Best Western Airport Inn for three nights in early July as part of my western Canada trip. The hotel is located somewhere between the airport and the city centre which makes a car necessary. I had a large, nice room with a very comfortable bed. Room as well as bathroom was very clean and had all necessary amenities. Breakfast was excellent with a large assortment of eggs, sausages, Hash Browns, bread and cheese, coffee and fresh fruits. The people at the reception were all very kind and helpful. Suggested I left my car at the CTrain station and used the CTRain into town, which s easy and convenient. Felt safe at the hotel and surroundings. I would certainly be happy to stay here again.

On check in we noticed that the hot tub was out of service - they'd cleaned it after a lot of use but decided to paint the step edges - during prime summer hours, and it was out of service for all but our last day. Also noted the mattress cover on the bed was severely stained with what looked like either blood or fecal matter. Didn't notice this until the third night and it almost made me sick. Made me wonder if they even changed the sheets because if the fitted sheet was changed they couldn't help but notice those disgusting stains. Not impressed. On our last stay the elevator was out and I had to carry my wife's walker up and down three flights of stairs - though we did get some assistance carrying luggage when we checked out. Wish I could add a picture of the mattress cover here.

Stayed with family at this hotel., Breakfast was very good, especially loved the fresh Belgian waffles! There were egg omelets, cereals, fruit, breads, sausages, hash browns coffee and tea and juices. Really appreciated the free popcorn in the lobby.

Recently stayed for one night after flying in from the UK. The rooms were tidy and staff were friendly. The breakfast was decent. Also has a pool and jacuzzi which we didn't have a chance to use. Would recommend to anyone who wants to stay in Calgary but not in the city centre.

The hotel itself was good, very clean and the employees very helpful, pleasant and courteous. The only downside it had was the breakfast. The food warmers were not labeled because normally one can tell the difference between meat and potatoes. What looked like potato patties was actually breaded rectangular shaped sausage patties. Normally no problem except I'm vegetarian.That one got thrown into the garbage. There was a liquid yogurt dispenser that didn't seem to work and when I asked about it the lady said "we don't have yogurt" Why then is there a yogurt dispenser set up? I don't drink coffee or tea but hot chocolate which they didn't have.The hard boiled eggs were kept in heated hot water which were hard and like rubber.Boiled eggs should not be kept cooking but instead be kept in cold water or refrigerated otherwise they turn into a rubber like consistency.The butter was frozen solid and not spreadable. The muffin tray was empty until we were almost done and ready to leave when the kitchen staff brought some out. The problem was that they were frozen solid. There was no care in the food preparation at all. We have stayed in many different Best Western Hotels and other Hotels with a free breakfast but this Hotel had the worst breakfast experience of them all.

This was the worst experience in 19years at a BW hotel, hotel under Renos, room wasn't clean properly, shelf falling off the wall in bathroom, blinds didn't work, stale food at breakfast, hotel has gone downhill so fast in less then a year since it is under new ownership.

Horrible hotel. Ceilings missing in hallway, musty smell, tiny bathrooms, shower tiny, air conditioner rattled every time it started, had to make sure to pull your door shut because it did not close securely, breakfastt was horrible eggs and sausage was something I have never seen bananas were over ripe. Had to change rooms due to noise above us never had this issue at other Best Western Hotels. Complained about the internet. Not able to load properly even after a reboot. TV signal keep breaking up. Should have left and stayed elsewhere. Parking lot was questionable. Was not sure if our suv would fit under the overhang. An AR had to park against the building because it would not fit. The elevator is tiny never seen such a narrow door.

We had a blanket with blood stains on them. After talking with the front desk; blankets were replaced. Unfortunately, the replacements also had stains/markings on them. The bed was uncomfortable, the spring could be felt when sitting on certain spots on the bed. We talked to the front desk, but was told that it would take 2 months before the beds would be replaced. Cookies and popcorn at the front desk were delicious though.

Other than the size of the rooms the place was good. But once again for the price I'd say it was appropriate. The Breakfast was good too. Had to pop my head in the kitchen to ask for some things to be refilled but they got on it promptly and took care of it. I have stayed at other places where they charge you for breakfast and was disappointed. So overall it was a good experience.

This hotel was so clean and had such friendly staff and had yummy popcorn and cookies. It was a little ways out of town for us for where we are playing sports but it was worth the drive. We plan on staying here again when we come to Calgary

We stay at Best Westerns because we know what we can expect in service, cleanliness and amenities before we get there and we get no surprises. Love modern 24 hour coffee machines in the lobby, great breakfast plus a quick bagged breakfast snack we can take when we depart early and don't have time for a regular breakfast. Earning points that never expire are great. Recognition for being a loyal customer is also very nice. Firm and fluffy pillows great. Another hotel chain we looked at online gave a price that was reasonable but when we arrived the price was double because they were almost booked up like most others in town-no best western option. Felt like driving further and sleeping in the car in a Best Western parking lot!

This was a disappointing stay this time around. First off Im upset with myself as we had to leave the hotel at 6:30 am to get to the hospital for our child to have surgery. I usually put on the do not disturb sign but being so early I forgot to. When we got back that afternoon from the hospital I realized my new bathing suit was gone! I was first off very disappointed in myself because I wrapped my bathing suit up in my towel to dry so I could wear it that night. We looked all over our room through all 3 of us luggage and nothing. Our room was very nice and clean and fresh new towels. I went to the desk to check and see if they had it but nobody could find it anywhere. I was choked as I never spend more than the walmart prices for a bathing suit but my husband bought me this one from Manitou Spa in February costing $170.00. Do I think it was stolen NO what I think is nobody realized it was there and if anyone found it may have been embarrassed and didnt know where it came from and possibly threw it in the garbage. It is my Prayer it is just laying in a corner somewhere and it is returned to me. The second dissapointing thing about this is NO apology, I had to make a police report on the advice of the hotel manager. Lesson learned stick to WalMart bathing suits . affordable

It works for our needs! The price is typically the most affordable and the hotel is in excellent, renovated condition. We learned of the airport shuttle on this trip which really solved some transportation challenges. Breakfast is good!

This hotel was a disaster. They lost our reservation and though I had a printed copy of it form the booking site, had me wait for too long while looking for it. we had come off a long flight and had a cranky toddler, and they should have just had us check in then sort out their system. then when I went to iron my shirt, it left a big black triangle in the shape of an iron on my stark white shirt (which I needed to wear for an event that evening) because of something tar-like stuck to the iron. When I showed this to reception, I was simply given some detergent to try to get it out myself in the sink in the room. My shirt was destroyed. Housekeeping brought a replacement iron, which did not work - it just stayed lukewarm and was very frustrating. The hotel is also undergoing renovations and the hallways have lots of strong chemical smells as a result. People talking outside the room at 4am woke me up and never managed to fall back asleep. It's also not really very close to the airport at all (20 minutes drive) and the surrounding area is a drag – not much to eat and the hotel has no restaurant. Can't say I would stay here again – no matter the price.

Initially, I was a bit apprehensive about booking this property. All of my concerns were quickly eliminated. Check-in was a breeze; the rooms were clean and more than adequate. I was impressed with the level of customer service. The staff were courteous and professional. The location was surprisingly quite with good access to major routes. The complimentary breakfast was fine with several options. For the rate, the choices available certainly exceeds or at the very least meets, what one usually has available to them. The only downfall is the lack of restaurants in the immediate area. However, if you are familiar with this part of town, there are numerous options within a short drive. The fitness area is not very funcitonal, but I am sure that it will improve. A great option for one or two nights.

We were on a little get away into the city, the 2Q room was comfortable, a little small but it did ok for one night. The kids enjoyed the pool. Wifi wasn't great throughout our stay, could be improved.

I stayed for two days at this hotel and was very impressed . The level of customer service was truly fantastic , it's something that is severely lacking in so many other hotels right now . I had a room on the third floor which was nice , it was big and very quiet , although I did find the placement of the TV in room 318 odd as it impossible to view from the bed . Room was very clean and well maintained but I really wish the bathroom would have been just a bit bigger . I went to the pool and found it to be be very relaxing as it's a fairly large pool and is deeper then most of the new hotel pools . The hot tub was clean and well maintained as was the rest of the pool area . The free Breakfast included was very good , area was very clean and comfortable and with two waffle makers the wait for waffles was not long . The only reason I cannot give this hotel 5 stars Is due to the fact I own a truck I found the parking lot too small and the spaces were not wide enough . Other than that I highly recommend this hotel as it is very reasonably priced and very close to Deerfoot trail .

Stayed one night with my husband. Room was quiet, despite our floor being full of families with hockey players due to a tournament. Did not utilize the pool or hot tub as it was over taken with kids. The room was clean, all the amenities you could ask for and if you required anything else, it was available. I checked in on line and asked for extra coffee and did not receive it. So maybe their claim to having other amenities available is mis-leading? The bed was pretty comfortable but the sheets could use some upgrading. They were pretty rough and pilled up. I used to love staying at the BW because of the comfy beds and bedding. If you need to leave your car while on vacation, please note they charge $12/day! Other comparable hotels in the area are cheaper. Breakfast was one of the best continentals I have had. They had a fresh omelet station, cubed potatoes, sausage and eggs off the the side (I think a lot of people were unaware of it). However, food in the restaurant for supper was not great. Overall it was okay but I will definitely stay at one of the other hotels in the area next time.

I called to make a reservation and was told by whomever answered the phone that he couldn't make my reservation and would have to have someone call me back later. Seriously? I have been a loyal best western client for over 5 years and this is the kind of service i get for my loyal patronage? Ridiculous.

Airline connections required an overnight stay in Calgary. I booked online from my resort in Cancun. Easily done. I thought that the hotel would have been closer to the airport than it is. They provide a nice hot breakfast and also provided a paid cab ride back to the airport to catch our next flight.

I stayed here with a sports team and we had nothing but a positive experience with this hotel. The manager (who always seemed to be working) went above and beyond to accommodate any request. I really enjoyed the bathroom toiletries. The rooms were really clean. The hotel is close-ish the the airport ( a little misleading from the name) and I got the feeling I was in a less glamorous part of town, but for money it can't be beat.

Very accommodating staff! Upgraded our 2 rooms to Kings as our queens weren't ready as we were early arriving because of winter travels. Placed us on the quieter side of the hotel as we were staying 2 nights. Printed off a map for us for directions to my Dr appt. great breakfasts! Clean rooms! The only thing I can suggest as being a smoker, they do need some kind of a bus stop shelter for us with the bad habit as the wind chill outside was ranging from -30 to -35 C. Will definitely stay here again!,

Convenient location to the Calgary Airport ( approx 11 minutes ) on Deerfoot trail. This BW sits just off the north side of Hwy # 1 on 18th Avenue NE. Very easy to get to and from. Clean and tidy, comfortable rooms and bed. Continental as well as Hot breakfast included. All the usual amenties. A definite "BEST" in this reviewers opinion, and I will stay again when in Calgary.

...when I booked this BW. I had thought it was the one at the airport but while it is older than the one at the airport it was named first. They do have a shuttle to get to the airport and is perhaps about $20 to $40 cheaper per night. In my case it was 14 blocks away from where I was speaking while the one at the airport would have been about 50 blocks. I made a great mistake! The building has been updated from the last time i stayed here. The reception on arrival was quick. The hotel is very well run and clean. The room was a King bed and was spotless and roomy. I had zero issues. The breakfast on my two days was excellent. I hope i make the same mistake again as it is really good. Parking tip: Park at the front as it is not as crowded as the rear parking is.

This place is pretty crappy. It is a good 20 mins from the airport without traffic. The shuttle bus only runs once an hour. The whole place smells like stale smoke even though the room is non smoking. The bathroom is super tiny. Glad i am only staying one night and it was cheap.

I stayed here one night when I was in Calgary to visit some family. It is a bit hidden away behind some buildings. The lobby had a nice sitting area, very welcoming. The check in was very fast and the clerk was friendly and thorough. My room was quite large. I had a single queen bed that was very comfortable. I had a window but it only looked out onto a rooftop so no view. The room had all the amenities you would expect. I utilized the exercise room while I was at this hotel and loved the equipment they had. It was snowing most of the weekend so I was glad they had a treadmill and such. They did have a pool but I did not use it. The breakfast was broken into two time frames One serving only continental with the second serving adding hot foods. I only utilized the continental breakfast. This was as expected, although I found the oatmeal was put in an odd spot away from the other cereals. I did have neighbors on my floor that were noisy but I did not report them until the next morning. All in all I would recommend this hotel because it was central to all I was doing and I had a good sleep and meal.

We (a young family) stayed here one night en route to another international destination. Our room was a bit outdated but fine overall. Unfortunately, the elevator was broken on our check-out morning, and my husband had to lug all our baggage down two flights of stairs. The breakfast was ok but only one toaster was working, which made things slow. Fine for a one-night stay and nice to be near the airport, but not the best stay ever.

The hotel is your usual Best Western but the staff was well beyond helpful. Everything we requested was acted on immediately and to our satisfaction. The hotel was very convenient to all areas in Calgary that we wanted to visit. The room was very good with one exception. The shower did not have holder for soap. This was brought to our attention before hand as the rooms had been upgraded and that part is still stuck at the border (not a major problem.

We were a party of four, we stayed here from 9 - 12 Sept our first hotel after flying I from UK. We found this hotel excellent very friendly staff at reception, some of our luggage was mislaid at airport they offered to deliver it to our room as soon as it arrived, the room was large clean and very comfy beds. Breakfast was good and staff were quick to help if you couldn't find things food was of good Quality I would recommend this hotel to any one who wants to get to a hotel quickly after a long flight, not to far to the city but away from the sky scrapers

This property needs a deep cleaning. Although the room looked clean in general, the tile floor in the shower was mildewed and stained. The counters behind the equipment in the breakfast room did not look like they had been cleaned in a long time. I would rate this an average hotel because we did have a great night's sleep and the price was right so close to the airport.

We stayed here for 3 nights, the free shuttle cars collected us from the airport and took us back at the end of our stay. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable of the eating facilities in the area, as they do not have an adjoining restaurant. In the morning we requested breakfast before the stated time, this was not a problem for the staff, buffet food was out ready, coffee made, and the fridge opened on request. Rooms were very spacious with a sofa and desk & chair so we could both relax without having to sit on the bed.

Stayed 3 nights. Very basic hotel, room was decent looking but the bed was not comfortable and the bathroom tiny. A good night sleep was elusive due to noise and the bed. The AC unit at the window was great for the birds, not for humans!

My Wife, my Daughter and I stayed here for 2 nights on our way back home from B.C. We had a ton of Airmiles to use up so we decided to use them for a few hotel stays along the way. We were given Room 101 which has to be a converted broom closet they give to people who book with their points. When we arrived the dude at the front desk was very friendly and helpful so we were off to a good start. When we got in to our room my wife immediately noticed there was no bathtub only a stand up shower(our fault for not researching this before booking) I went to the front desk and asked if we could switch rooms to one with a bathtub so we could give our 3 year old a bath. He informed us that all rooms in this hotel only have a shower(again our fault not theirs) We unpacked our things and made ourselves at home. We noticed that the desk chair in the room was broken and didn't roll on the carpet but that wasn't a big deal. We had several flies in our room as well as fruit flies but it's summer so that happens sometimes. I went in to the bathroom to use the toilet and locked the door behind me only to have my Daughter barge in a minute later. I kicked her out and closed the door only to find the door didn't lock nor did it even close properly. We had a great time playing in the pool and relaxing in the hot tub. We returned to our room to have showers and go to bed. Once we were done we had a really nasty moldy smell in our bathroom for the rest of our stay. My wife woke up at 7am to the sound of dishes from the breakfast banging together in the employee kitchen area which was about 10 feet from our door. Dirty towels and sheets collected outside our door for the next few hours while the staff did the laundry 5 feet from our room. Next to one of the beds was a spot on the floor that would make a clanking noise when stepped on. I thought maybe this was where Chester Copperpot went searching for One Eyed Willy's gold. But when I went searching for the entrance all I found was a bunch of chips and skittles under the bed. I was joined later in the day by several giant ants in the stinky bathroom. I pointed them in the direction of the chips under the bed which they could bring home as long as they didn't attempt to carry my 3 year old off in the night. We were happy to leave when it was time to check out. The front desk staff was friendly again so at least the stay ended well. I hope not all the rooms in this hotel were in the same state as ours was and that we just got the airmiles room. We try to always stay in Best Western hotels on our travels but this is one we will not be returning to.

We will have our maintenance department look at the bathroom door issue as well as the noise in the carpet area. We have replaced the chair in the room as well. We are also investigating as to why the bathroom smelled after you had used the pool and then showered. The housekeeping issues are also being addressed with our housekeeping supervisor. We are sorry you felt this was an "airmiles" room, but we do not assign rooms by how they are booked. At the time of your arrival, we were completely sold out and had very few rooms to chose from. Again, please accept our apology for your experience at out hotel.

The room was nice and clean. Air conditioner was somewhat loud but didn't affect my sleep. Within walking distance to a good restaurant. Great hot breakfast in the morning. Well worth a stay. Quiet considering it is clise to airport.

We just spent 3 nights at this hotel and we were very pleased with everything. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The hot breakfast is good and everything you need. I love the fact that you can have tea, coffee, hot chocolate anytime of the day or night. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Thank you to Archie, Giovanni, and Tere who were very friendly and helpful and all other staff too (don't know all the names). The airport shuttle was great too. We would definitely recommend this hotel!

I stayed at this hotel while attending a Music festival at the Max Bell center. the hotel was kind enough to call us a taxi when we asked, which arrived quickly. The rooms were clean, organized and everything was in working order. Hotel provided breakfast but if you missed it there is also a Denny's across the street!

Hotel is clean and quiet, which was very surprising as it is close to the airport. The rooms are small but have everything you need. Breakfast offers a lot of variety. It is an average hotel and good value for the area. They provide shuttle service to the airport and for a quick overnight stay it is great.

We went down to Calgary with out booking a reservation The staff was incredible they booked us in for the night gave us directions to local restaurants The pool was cold water - hot air in the room made it not to bad once u were use to the water. Our room had 2 Queen beds very comfortable clean but the room was small not much walking space between the end of the beds and the dresser and mounted TV The bathroom however was very small we had to climb over / around the toilet to close the bathroom door to get into the shower The whole toilet was a bit loose (not just the seat) so when u sat on it u rocked back and forth Breakfast was nice hot waffles eggs nice was to start the day Over all for all the Quirks to the room we would stay here again on another trip to Calgary Clean Hotel friendly staff reasonable prices

Clean, well furnished hotel close to airport with friendly staff: we landed very late after midnight at Calgary airport and hotel arranged for a complimentary taxi to pick us up swiftly at the airport. Great breakfast, free airport shuttle and hassle-free hotel for a one night long stay and on a trip to the area....A bit pricey for the location but hotels seem to be like that near the airport.

I've stayed here quite a few times and I like it even though it isn't downtown. Rooms are always clean, the front desk staff is always helpful and friendly. The price during Stampede was decent and the exercise facilities did the trick. $20 cab ride to downtown isn't a big deal. The only annoying thing (and this is totally my fault) is that I left my favourite belt in the closet when I packed up and left. I called four hours after I checked out and it wasn't found. I mean it's totally on me but come on....a belt? Honestly this isn't going to deter me from staying there again (again my fault) because I like the place I just wish I had my belt back.

Don't let the exterior fool you, this was a very comfortable and well positioned hotel for those wanting a stay near the airport. The rooms are clean, comfortable and despite the location close to major roads, very quiet. Only recommendation is to have a ledge in the shower area for toiletries. The wifi is good, the staff extremely helpful and the included breakfast was of a good standard and selection. Other food options are close by including a Dennys, Vietnamese restaurant and pizza shop along with a liquor store and convenience store across the road. It is also within close proximity (about 5 minutes in a cab) to a good size shopping mall (Sunridge) for those with a need for retail therapy! Would thoroughly recommend for those with a need to get to the airport.

Stayed here on business for 4 nights. Room 335. Location was ideal. Close to highways 1 and 2 Room was smaller, but well laid out, updated, clean, quiet and comfortable. Large flat screen, consistent internet connection, lots of hot water, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, in-room safe. Staff were all very friendly. Check in / check out was easy and professional. Breakfast was good. Food was hot, fresh. Dining room was very clean, local news on the TV Convenience store in handy location across the street, close to Dennys, check out Friends Pizza in plaza across the street, good pie - Donair place was so-so My only suggestion for improvement would be in the shower - there was no place to put soap/shampoo and wash cloth - you need a small shelf - had to try and balance soap on shower faucet - bit tricky Looking forward to my next stay SpeedBird approved !!

Took forever to check in even though we were pre-paid from our head office. Excessive paperwork and photocoping of ID, personal questions, etc. Then we were placed next to the pool (smell, noise). Our rooms smelled like cigarette smoke, there were kids running down the hall screaming late into the night the windows are really dirty (nothing to see anyway). The bed was comfortable.

After a long day we booked this hotel online due to price and the decent reviews/rating. Check in was very disappointing. As it was an Unexpected overnight with my son, credit card was left at home and they wanted a $500 cash deposit. The room was not even $100. Never have I seen this outrageous deposit for 1 night. . I get cash deposits but $500?! Room was decent beds comfy. Bathroom very small. Breakfast room had a dripping ceiling and could use an update. For a best Western this was very disappointing and will not ever stay again or recommend.

Dear Pam: Thank you for your review of our hotel. We do understand an unexpected trip, however it is a standard to have a valid credit card for any check in. As you did not, we were willing to make an exception to this policy and allow you to check in with a deposit. I acknowledge that $500.00 may seem a bit extreme as the room and taxes did not even come to $100.00, however any deposit would need to cover any potential damages to a room, which is also why we would check the room before issuing a refund. We do appreciate your letting management know about the issue in the breakfast room and I sincerely hope you had a restful night.

We stayed here for one night on our way through Calgary and it was such a great treat! The hotel staff that checked us in were very friendly; chatting and joking around is what I like when I meet the people who will be giving me my room - this first impression made my stay so much better. My king room was very clean and the bed/pillows very comfortable. We tried out the pool / hot tub and really enjoyed that after a long travel day. The next day we had the free breakfast (eggs, hash browns, meat patties, toast and waffles) delicious!! I love how small this hotel is; nothing complicated. This will be our regular hotel when we visit Calgary - I highly recommend!

Gray price and great hot breakfast. I he Hotel is fairly central as last cared on the corner of hwy two and Trans Canada. Great if you are driving as not a lot around it. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Stayed as it was a quick night over in Calgary and the price was very affordable. Was very supposed to see the hot breakfast in the morning and was delighted with the selection they had. I would have to say it was better selection than most I've stayed at. The rooms were a bit smaller but still lots of room for a family of 4 and were well laid out. No view from the window but we really only used the hotel for sleeping and did not hang out in the room very long. Did not get to use the pool area which is connected to the downstairs breakfast area but looked nice and kid friendly. Will be staying here again and look forward to our next visit

First impression of exterior did not impress but once we got inside everything changed. Desk staff were fantastic and they gave us a room of the third floor "away from the kids and the pool". The single elevator got us upstairs and the room was great. Immediate impression of the room was fantastic and it was clean and bright. We immediately noted a closet area (by the door) and three light switches to control different lights rather than the common single switch. The two queen beds each had four thick pillows which made watching the large flat screen TV mounted on the wall opposite the beds comfortable. The room had both a microwave and a mini-fridge which also was great. A coffee maker with plenty of supplies too The bathroom was a bit small but functional and amenities were great. We did not hear sounds through the walls but did hear kids running back and forth in the hallway (bad parenting rather than hotel issue). Although the hotel is located very close to the airport flight path, we were able to hear the planes but they were not annoying Breakfast (in a very nice area overlooking the pool area) is included in the stay which included eggs, sausage, waffles, yogurt, a variety of breads, apples and oranges, juices, and hot beverages

Stayed for one night. Room was clean and ok, staff was ok. Breakfest was better than Hampton inn- more options with vegetables etc Hotel have shuttle service to and from airport. Hotel is accesible only by car. There are some small shop or restaurant options walking distance from hotel.

Daughter stayed overnight for flight to San Diego originating from Vancouver. The hotel did not have staff for the shuttle from the airport, but they paid for taxi fair to and from airport. No other problems occurred during stay and booking room using points was hassle free.

This hotel is not really an airport hotel as it is over 20 minutes from the airport to the hotel. The bathroom had a really nice shower in a bathroom that was so small I had to stand beside the toilet to close the bathroom door so that I could open the shower door. Could not dry my self with the bathroom door closed and could not use the bath mat. Front desk staff were very good on both check in and check out. and room service staff were very honest to report my cell phone left in the room. Would not use this hotel again for a short layover as it is too far from the airport.

I flew into Calgary and arrived early morning on a Saturday (7:30 am) and the shuttle can and picked me up within a half hour. The shuttle driver was also one of the desk clerks and she was awesome! I booked he room for Sat, Sun and Mon nights but the desk told me that the room they had booked me in was not used last night so I could get into it right away even though it was shortly before 8:00 am. I was picking up a vehicle from my son who recently moved to Calgary so we arranged for him to drop the car off at the hotel on a Friday night t and leave the keys with the front desk. They gave me my keys and said they were happy to help out! The room itself was very nice and appears to have been recently renovated The bathroom only has a shower (very nice and large) and was fine for me but I know my wife would have liked a bathtub had she been with me. The morning breakfasts that are included were very good, basic breakfasts with some hot options (sausage or patties with eggs, hash browns, pancakes and a waffle maker). This really can save money when you have a family staying with you. The hotel has easy access to major roads and allows easy accessibility I give this hotel a 5 Star as it deserves it.

We were traveling to USA for holiday and stayed a this hotel, since they offer for a reasonable price, to leave your car parked, we stayed here. They have improved a lot since the last time we were here, however, the staff need to work and customer service skills, maybe not all of them but at lease Giovanni or one of the male front desk staff. The room was little, but very clean and nice. The complimentary breakfast was really good and you can access it even before 6 if you are leaving early.

Nice room, great breakfast, close to downtown. We would stay there again in a heartbeat. My husband liked the bed and pillows. Staff are very nice and helpful. Parking was readily available and very close to the front entrance. Shower had good pressure and was very clean.

Not an airport hotel at all, we never heard any outside noise. Hotel was clean, the breakfast had lots of options and of high quality. The pool was great, and the room was very clean. All yhe staff were friendly and very helpful.

We were on a quick weekend trip and this was a last minute stop. Not sure why at check in they had to actually charge my credit card with $50.00 for incidentals then have to turn around and refund it, 2 transactions???? I have not had that done in a very long time. I have always had to have the card on file but not do an actual transaction! The room was clean, bed comfortable, updated decor. The bathroom was weird no tub, the door banged into the shower ,with very little room to actually shut the door to use the toilet, strange arrangement.

The location of the hotel is very convenient is travelling North or South on Deerfoot right off #1 Highway.- I found the parking lot tight for parking and the rooms quite small compared to other BW's - The room was clean and very quiet.

We enjoyed our stay. The staff was not friendly but not rude. The room was pretty clean. Comfy beds. Didn't have time to try out the pool or hot tub but did see people having fun in there. I did find it odd that I could hear so many planes just because I have stayed at hotels that back onto the runway of the airport and not hear anything. The sounds did not wake me in the night or anything I was just shocked because I didn't think we were “that” close to the airport. Very thin walls though. You can hear everything your neighbours are doing and walking through the halls you can tell who has their shower running. Again, this did not keep me up at night or anything just not used to it I guess. The breakfast in the morning was OK. The sausage patties looked a little sketchy and the hash browns were very dry. Waffles were good. No real complaints, decent for a free breakfast.

Recently stayed here for one night and found that this hotel had everything we required.The rooms are well equipped with all the usual amenities. It was very clean and the bed was very comfortable, There is no restaurant or bar in this hotel but a small tuck shop in the lobby. There was a free breakfast with hot and cold items. Lots of variety and well stocked. Lots of shopping with a nearby liquor store and restaurants. The swimming pool and hot tub was enjoyed after travelling. One suggestion would be for the hotel to clean the vent above the hot tub as it is unsightly. Price was about $150 with the various taxes and was lower than most in the area.

Spent two nights here recently. As a standard BW property this hotel exceeded my expectations. Check in was easy with exceptionally friendly front desk staff. Room was spotless, bed very comfortable, excellent cable TV availability, great wifi, excellent decor. Bathroom well lit, large, great shower (no tub), lots of good towels. Breakfast was the best of any BW I've stayed in. Great value for one or two nights in the airport area.

A family visit in a hotel convenient as you approach from Highway 16 TransCanada from east. An aged property ,but service and cleanliness are prime importance.Excellent breakfast. If you need to leave very early a courtesy snack bag is offered.There is an hourly shuttle to the airport.One restraint across the street ,mediocure but food. Others a few blocks away.

Definitely a hotel for people with out children. I booked it because it's close to the zoo but the pool is very very cold ! The hot tub isn't hot it's more like a warm bath. Breakfast was okay some items were questionable. Beds were decent not to hard or bumpy ! Staff is okay.

We enjoyed our weekend at the Best Western Airport Inn. The location is excellent for accessing downtown, the zoo, Spark despite the Airport name. Our King room was comfortable and had lots of space. Great soap and shampoo, but odd towel rack height which meant water dripping down arms after washing hands. No bathtub, but excellent shower water pressure and temperature. The breakfast buffet had lots of choices, but some items seemed overcooked and the waffle irons didn't work very well. Use lots of the oil spray provided. I appreciated that they offered gluten free and dairy free options as this is an issue for some of our family members. They were not on the buffet so cross-contamination would be avoided. Overall, an enjoyable stay.

Overall pretty happy with this hotel and price. Stayed here mostly because it was so close to the airport. Nothing but a Denny's around though. my only complaints are that the parking lot was a bit tight, and the bathroom was cramped even though the room had plenty of unused space. Our stay at this hotel was comfortable and an awesome experience for the kids. It didn't fail my expectations. My aunt opted for express check-out during check-in and we didn't need to fall in line during check out. We just packed our bags and left the very next day. Both reception and kitchen staff were accomodating, courteous and kind. Our room was at the third floor and it was spick and span including the washroom/toilet. The A/C was functioning well as with the TV and remote, microwave, and mini-fridge. Coffee maker was a bit dusty in the inside but there's complimentary 24-hr coffee/tea served in the pantry/dining hall. Free wifi was strong and fast. Our stay included a complimentary breakfast. There were also complimentary coffee bags and tea bags available in our room as well as the usual toiletries. It would have been perfect if reception told us ahead of time the pool was to be drained and cleaned. We were already swimming for about an hour with the kids when service staff apologized and told us we had to leave since someone threw up in the pool and they had to clean it!! They could have written a note and taped it at the pool entrance informing anyone that the pool had to be drained and cleaned. Other than this situation, our stay had been uneventful.

The front desk receptionist that helped me was very accommodating and helpful. I think her name was Nikita. I asked for a different room and she did not hesitate one bit and basically made me feel that they want me to be a 100% comfortable with my stay. The room I was initially given was too close to the pool and having a very early flight meant that I need to sleep very early. The decor of the rooms are great. I like the contrast of colours. The bathroom is a little small but unless if you want to have a meeting there, then that shouldn't be a problem. Also, complimentary shuttle to the airport!!! So awesome! I'd definitely stay again.

Went to Calgary for a tournament at the Fox Hollow golf course, very convenient location and easy to find. Staff were helpful right from the phone call to book to checkout! Breakfast was a decent assortment of hot and cold items and rooms were clean. Love that you have a choice to run the a/c or open a window; my only issue was that there was no screen in the window. Although I didn't use the hot tub or pool, it looked inviting. Coffee in the room was tasty and there's a microwave and small fridge for convenience. After reading an article about how disgusting the germs are on a tv remote in hotels it was nice to see that they clean them and put them in a wrap so you know it's clean. Price wise, very economical considering its in Calgary! Loved the walk in shower too and fairly soundproof compared to other hotels I've stayed in.

The location of that hotel was perfectly accessible for both north-south and east-west highways to leave and drive. Breakfast was very good and we liked tasty brown hash. I was greeted by friendly staff and contacted via text within 5 minutes to see how the room was. Great service! The rooms have been recently updated with modern décor! Comfy beds! Clean rooms! Good location to airport, Central Experimental Farm, downtown.

This was an unexpected stay... I was supposed to drive on to Edmonton but got delayed so I quickly called to book a room. This was the FIRST time to have anything broken or not working as should in my room. It was a couple of simple things the housekeepers should have noticed and had fixed... nothing to stop my clean comfortable QUIET restful night sleep! The location is great, has a decent breakfast, has Dennys across the street and the best Taiwanese restaurant across the street called the White Elephant. This will be my go to BW, and ill be here again next week for my flight home

We experienced great service from staff upon arrival and departure.Comfy beds but found stains on bedspread and towels. We were surprised that there was just a shower and no tub. There was a good hot breakfast.

We had a great stay all of the staff we talked to or delt with were super friendly and nice and very helpful, we picked this hotel beacuse it we within 15 - 30 mins from all the fun things we wanted to do.

Great place, friendly staff and a really good breakfast. I stay in this hotel 3 or 4 times a year for business travel. The staff know their jobs and do them well. Never have had an issue staying here. Location is perfect for easy access to main roads north, south east and west.

I wasn't expecting a lot given the price, but was quite pleased with the condition of the rooms and the decor. Breakfast was also much better than expected. Location is very convenient if you are just sight seeing. We were just overnighting it to go to the Zoo and Calgary Tower.

It's a good, comfortable place to stay enroute: near the Trails and just off Trans Canada yet quiet and easy to find. Pool for the kids and exercise/TV for the parents. Close to Sunridge Mall and restaurants.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights while visiting Calgary for a wedding. It was in a good location, near to a couple of highways that made it easy to get to downtown and the Calgary Stampede. The continental breakfast had lots of choices and the food was fairly good. The breakfast area was a bit but this may have been because the Stampede was on. Overall our room was clean and the bed was comfy. Air conditioning worked well. There was no fan in the bathroom and a bit of a musty smell but this would be my only complaint.

We stayed here during the Calgary Stampede. The staff at the desk were busy but were still very pleasant and polite. Check-in was very easy. The room rate included breakfast and wi-if. There is lots of parking. There is shuttle service to the Calgary Airport. Despite being located near the airport and a fire station, the room was quiet. Our room was large and well-appointed with a comfortable king-sized bed. There were numerous places to charge electronics too. The shower was updated and large. The desk clerk gave us a great tip for dinner - a nearby Thai restaurant located in an orange and black painted hotel across the street. If we are ever back in Calgary, we would stay there again.

Everything was fine except the bed was far too soft and hammock like. Overall we were very happy with the location, price and service. I would stay here again and would recommend it to friends and family.

The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was hot and plentiful with many selections of food. I find it a bit confusing that there are 3 Airport Best Westerns in Calgary so I never know which one I am staying at until I arrive at the hotel. All 3 of them are good I have ended up staying at all of them through the confusion.

This hotel was a real surprise. Really lovely rooms excellent breakfast good pool and hot tub but the staff were outstanding. I have to mention Nikita and Giovanni who went out of there way to assist, Nikita saw we were struggling and carried all our heavy bags to our room and Giovanni packed all our car up the next day, I would definitely stay here again.thank you to all at the hotel.

Very Good, passing through Calgary. Very convenient on way home and also to Cross Iron Mills mall. It is also very handy if catching a flight as it is about 10 min from airport. It is also handy if going to or from Banff National Park.

Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Rooms are clean. Beds are extremely comfortable. The have quite a good breakfast with a variety of both hot and cold items. The location of the hotel makes it easy to access whether you are going to the airport, down town for business or out to do shopping. I would definitely recommend it to anyone to stay here if you are in Calgary. We will be staying at this hotel when we are in the area.

My Wife and I and our grandaughter stayed here last year and came back this year. Overall experience was excellent. Great value for the money. Pool was good size and clean. Staff were very helpful .Free breakfast had a good variety. We'll be back the next time we're in Edmonton.

I checked out of another Best Western on McLeod Trail becausr their rates went up every day. Not busy or anything, just raising the rate. This hotel was very reasonable and was not lacking. I will stay here again.

the hotel is easy to f ind, staff friendly and helpful, rooms clean comfortable, had refrigerator WIFI, has small pool and jacuzzi, breakfast was good, typical free included breakfast especially the waffles. I recommend this hotel

Helpful staff, good breakfast, quiet and clean room. After long drive from Kelowna BC it was booked ahead and in a great location. Would stay there again. Shower stall could use some bleach attention but otherwise good.

We found the staff friendly the room clean and good complementry breakfast, free parking, good location. We have stayed at this hotel before with the same experience and would recommend it for the value and service.

This hotel is okay (at least the room we got). One of the beds had such a poor mattress that every time my husband or I moved during the night we jostled the other. The hot and cold water are reversed and we weren't told this until I called the front desk after trying to have a shower. We left something in our room by accident and when I called to inquire about it the day after we checked out it hadn't been found (it it should have been easy to find as it was left IN one of the beds). Breakfast was pretty good though.

Cleaners left room dusty and once in awhile did not replace towels, plus bathroom door, in this room made washroom small and tight, should have a sliding door, but hotel well located and would highly recommend to my friends and family.

The hotel quality was superb and the service steller. The fact that gluten free options were available standard was nice, but there was no way to toast the gf bread and the quality of the bread was standard grocery store dry bread. Edible but not great. I went with fruit and boiled eggs which were much better options.

Great experience. The hotel was well maintained and the rooms were good size and clean. Could do better with the interior decor. Loved the breakfast and service quality. Had enough parking spaces for the cars which was great

Excellent hotel to stay at, with very professional, courteous and friendly staff. The desk clerk couldn't have been better. He went out of his way to make sure we had a good stay, to the point of having a hot breakfast ready for us at 5am and a take away breakfast for guest in a hurry.

I have stayed here many times and really like the boutique feel of the hotel. It is tucked into the neighborhood but easy access to Trans Canada 1 and heading west after arriving to Calgary. The airport shuttle is very good and like all things to be offered has a $5.25 per room charge. Really cheap. The hotel has some restaurants nearby. Breakfast is free.

Quick check in. Even had a washer dryer guests can use on 2nd flr. Hot breakfast in the AM, very nice selection. Next to Calgary Fire station #4. Accommodations were nice & clean, not always the case in some hotels I've stayed at. We would stay again.

We stay at the BW Airport Inn every time we visit Calgary, but most recently stayed before traveling via YYC. While it's a nice hotel with all the standard BW features - they apparently don't offer airport parking?! We received very little assistance from staff other than "go ask the hotel across the street, maybe they can help.". Lesson learned, and next time we fly from YYC - we'll have to stay elsewhere. Otherwise, it's a fine place to stay.

clean comfortable room , hot breakfast was ok but i have had better at other BW hotels . I would stay here again. they also have a shuttle service to the airport I believe it goes every hour on the hour.

This hotel is located perfect for access around the city. Major roadways nearby, but not right out your window. Beds are soft, showers huge, and staff excellent. The rooms have plenty of space to relax. Nice pool for getting active. Make this a first choice hotel.

Very clean and comfortable hotel. Excellent breakfast, would definitely stay again. Easy commute to shopping, restaurants, the zoo and downtown Calgary; easy access to Deerfoot Trail. I enjoyed staying here and would not hesitate to book this hotel again.

No long term parking and had to pay personally for another parking spot and a cab to return to my vehicle - very disappointed as they did not tell us this at check in or when booking Staff were not helpful when we asked about where we could Leave our vehicle

I apologise that you were not able to leave the vehicle here while you were away on vacation, but our stay and travel package ended March 31st and you stayed on the 15th of April and we could not make an exception to anyone as our parking lot space is very limited. We do have a shuttle service to and from the airport, but because we could not allow you to leave your vehicle here we could not provide the shuttle service to you. On the morning of your departure we did send you in a cab, paid for by us to the airport. We did inform you that you could not leave your vehicle here when you checked in, and a place to alternatively leave your vehicle while you were away. For future reference, please call the hotel directly to ask about leaving your vehicle as each hotel has their own policies and packages for extended parking. Our stay and travel package runs from October-March and it would have been completely fine to leave your vehicle here within that time period. I apologise but we cannot make exceptions to any guests outside that time frame as we are too busy during that time and cannot accommodate everyone's vehicles. We are sorry if we did not meet your expectations with your stay, and hope we can rebuild your trust to stay with us again in the future. Sincerely, Best Western

The room was clean and well setup. The hot breakfast was great. A very reasonable price for a nice overnight stay. The pool and hot tub were a nice addition. My only concern was that the handicap parking was a long distance from the lobby.

Hotel is nice, Service is good. Room is comfortable. Wifi works well. Location is good. Breakfast has not much variety from day to day. Stuff is very friendly and make the effort to make you feel at home

My wife and I have stayed at the Best Western Airport Inn on numerous occasions. We have never been disappointed. This property gives good value for money spent. It's not a fancy place, but it meets our needs and expectations. We have found the staff to be friendly, efficient, and respectful of our needs. It's a clean hotel and is conveniently located near the major traffic arteries in Calgary. We have no reservation in recommending this property.

Very satisfied with room, shuttle service, hot breakfast. Overall good experience. We would recommend this hotel to friends. Also if we required a hotel in Calgary we would probably choose your hotel. Our only issue was that I was unable to get the hair dryer to work.

I opt to stay at this location because I love their choice for soap/shampoo which doesn't aggravate my skin like most stuff and still smells great. Hotel is older, recently updated interior. You can still feel the age walking around but it's kept clean and the staff are lovely.

The hotel has been nicely renovated, at least the room I was in. The bed was good with lots of pillows and the room had black out blinds. The Internet was good, the shower had lots of pressure and the toilet flushed easily, and yes today I had a bath mat. The room was quiet. Lots of channels on TV. Still no pen in the room though. Front Desk was nice and helpful and offered to get me a muffin if I wanted it since I missed breakfast time which ends at 9 AM weekdays and 10 AM weekends

The hotel staff was very welcoming and accommodated me with a late check in, which was greatly appreciate as I had my car in the garage on the other side of the city. My queen room was a fair size and renovated recently. I enjoyed the glass shower the most! They stocked my room with MANY toiletries which is greatly appreciated because most hotels give you one of each. Breakfast was a complimentary buffet which was hot and satisfying. I think my favorite part of breakfast was the lady working the breakfast room who greeted me with a big smile, she was very sweet! I will definitely be back as this is an affordable, clean hotel with close proximity to downtown. Thank you!

The staff at this fairly central, clean hotel were very accommodating to us. We were travelling as 4 seniors and the staff was very prompt about providing extra coffee, towels, and toiletries. They willingly charged our fitbits. The hot breakfast in the morning was delicious. They also made sure we had a ground level floor room.

My room was quite lovely as it had been newly renovated. However I didn't realize that my door did not lock until 6 hours later but they very quickly moved me to a secure room. Nice little snack bar downstairs and I saw a little dining area but as my flight left early the next morning I did not get to use it.

If you're looking for a decent place to stay without breaking the bank, this is a good option. The average rating isn't a bad thing in this case - there was nothing to outstanding either good or bad. Despite the name, there are probably 20 hotels closer to the airport, but it's still within 20 minutes drive (if traffic is light). The location at the Intersection of 16th Avenue (Highway 1) and Deerfoot Trail (Highway 2) does offer conveniences other than proximity to the airport. Getting elsewhere in the city is fairly easy, given the hotel is on two major traffic arteries. The room was reasonably clean and comfortable, but not spectacular. It wasn't huge, but it did have both a microwave and small fridge, as well as an iron and board, and an in room coffee maker. The bathroom was fairly modern, no tub, but a spacious shower. One minor inconvenience with the shower - it took a long time to get hot water. There is a small snack shop in the lobby, and a fairly typical hotel hot breakfast is included with the room rate. Decent value, no really glaring problems, but if you're wanting quick access to the airport, there are other, closer options.

We booked a 2 night stay for a wedding but bad weather had us coming in a day late. I contacted the hotel and explained the situation. The front desk receptionist Chris was amazing, she told us not to worry about the room and to get in touch the next morning prior to our arrival so she knew we on our way. She had our room ready when we arrived and the hotel refunded us the night we missed due to the road conditions. The room itself was comfy and served us well. If we return to Calgary for an overnight or extended stay we would definitely return to this hotel.

We came here for the last 2 nights of our honeymoon..... and unfortunately we were left feeling disappointed. Firstly our card into the hotel room didn't work, so after multiple attempts we went back to the reception and got a new key. Once access was gained it seemed that the jacuzzi room we had booked didn't exist!! (Booking.com has been made aware of this by the hotel) We obviously told someone about this and felt angry as we paid extra to have this room. We spoke to the manager who was friendly and wanted to sort our issue, she kindly upgraded us to a king suit further up the hall. This was was nice and just been refurbished. I wanted to take a shower so got myself ready and put the shower on... it was stuck in some sort of powerful jet stream which I couldn't turn off! The more I tried to stop it the more apparent the fact that the shower head wasn't fitted to the wall properly appeared. I stopped there and then as we all know who has to pay the bill if something goes wrong there. The swimming pool and the hot tub were good and clean. the breakfast served in the morning was always good and plenty of variety. We were charged a "holding" fee when we arrived as standard procedure and was told on leaving that it would appear back in out account within 5 working days...  unfortunately this hasn't happened. So over all a disappointing end to our honeymoon but as hotels go it's fairly average with no nasty bits to it...  just not the service we had received everywhere else in Canada.

Hotel check in was great, spacious room for me and my daughter. Was told tat we got a jacuzzi tub in our room wasnt told that they dont work. Slightly dissapointing but not enough to make me stop coming to Best Western can't win them all. Overal great stay.

On the last night of our stay in the Calgary/Banff/Jasper trip, this motel was very nicely decorated in the lobby. The attendants were so helpful and willing to do whatever we needed. The young man working the night shift was amazing. He knew there were several people leaving very early (3:00 a.m.) for a flight out of Calgary, and he already had the coffee and breakfast items ready so we could have a quick meal before leaving. How accommodating!!!!

Parking is limited in both availability and space -especially challenging on the weekend. The rooms are small, as is the pool. Would not recommend for a family stay. The hotel is clean. The breakfast has a number of options. Close to attractions and the airport.

The BW hotel at Calgary's Airport location was top notch and clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was very convenient for us and easy access to and fro the highway. This is my second stay at this hotel and I recommend this BW hotel.

Stayed for 1 night on our way home. The pool was great for small kids and non swimmers like me. The deep end is only 5 feet. They serve an abundant breakfast. The only downside was the room was supposed to be non smoking but smell of cigarette reaked as soon as we walked in the room.

This is a great hotel if you do not need the look and feel of a modern hotel building.The appearance of the hotel looks dated, but looks like it may have been recently renovated as the washroom fixtures and shower look new. The rooms and facilities are clean and hotel staff were excellent. As usual with Best Western, the included breakfast was nice.

It was odd. The room was pr-booked though the chain's website and using a customer loyalty account. And it was guaranteed by a credit card. But still the staff was more suspicious than welcoming on check-in.

It was pretty good. We had to change rooms because we could get into the room. Had difficulty with room keys all weekend. It was nice that they have been doing upgrades. There's no USB ports in the room so we had to get electrical plug for our phones. The staff were super nice and the food was good. It could use a second waffle maker but I guess that's being picky

The hotel is conveniently located close to the airport and right off the Trans Canada Highway. Room was clean ... recently renovated, staff very friendly and accommodating ... brought extra towels and toiletries when we asked. Their breakfast buffet is free and food selection decent. Will definitely stay here again.

Twin bed room is small. Parking could be a problem. Hotel was full on a Friday night and we had to park on the street. Service was very good and continental breakfast was also very good. I will stay here again.

we arrived around 9pm, front desk is not very accommodating, we asked if we could stay in a king bed instead of 2 queen but denied citing safety reason since there were three of us, my son is only 4 years old and is used to sleeping in our bed, we were tired so i didn't argue any further. We were assigned to the ground floor close to the swimming pool, room is clean but tight, no tub just shower, swimming pool water had too much treatment on it my son's eye was irritated all day from the water, i suggest get your pool water checked. Breakfast ok.

The building and facilities were slightly ahead of what I'd been expecting. We stayed here 5 nights, during the Stampede Week. Prices were probably higher than normal as a result. There is a pool (although didn't use it), they do a nice breakfast and there is one lift/ elevator in the 3-storey building. Also On-site parking. The location is fairly central within Calgary too - although not right in the downtown centre, it's easy to get connections to all the main motorways. Plenty restaurants and shopping malls within a short drive, an ideal location Free shuttle service from hotel to airport, and cheap pickup price from airport to hotel No real complaints, would definitely stay here again if in Calgary.

Beds were comfortable. A/C unit worked no problem (In some hotels they are impossible). There is a firehall next door but we didn't hear any sirens overnight. Everything was clean. There was no tub but the shower head was high enough on the wall and had different settings which my tall brother enjoyed. The room had two luggage racks and I've only ever seen a room with one. The indoor pool is small and only goes to 5ft deep but it was enough for my Mom who does aquafitness. The breakfast room was quite impressive with even hot items to choose from. Staff kept it clean and stocked. My only complaint would be against the verbally abusive guest we overheard!

This hotel is very close to the airport, which made it easy in the morning to catch my flight. The staff work very hard to ensure the comfort and satisfaction of their guests. The room was small, but adequate. The breakfast area was very busy the morning I was there, which made the experience time consuming, and a bit frustrating. I also had to take my breakfast to my room as there were no tables left. Overall, a good stay.

Pillows were too firm and thick, had a sore neck the next morning. Fitness centre open too late (should be open at 6:00 am). Lamps were all unplugged in the room. had to move furniture to plug in lamps then could turn on lights. room was small. Hotel in general was substandard, compared to all the Best Westerns I booked across Canada. (changed my reservation going back home)

This was our first stay at this property and it was most enjoyable. The room was well appointed with a great shower stall that we loved. The staff were friendly and helpful. But above all the breakfast that is included with your room was amazing. Chicken sausage, scrambled eggs, potato fritters, and of course the belgian waffle maker. There was an assortment of real juices and great coffee. Even french toast that could be heated in a toaster. Truly one of the most impressive breakfasts we have had at a BW. As an aside, the desk staff had applied stay to our membership card without be asked. That too is impressive.

It was a better than average good priced Best Western Hotel. Stayed in several of them on interstate 15 from Edmonton to Las Vegas over the years. The bathroom was a tad small but really who cares it would be almost impossible to make them bigger.

Good location if you are coming in by car from the east, and also close to intersection for those travelling south on a highway 2. Smallest bathrooms I've ever seen, no tub ( at least in the room we saw). Don't let them put you in the room that has no outside window (it has a window that looks into the indoor pool). We asked to be moved and they accommodated our request, which was appreciated. Typical breakfast, nice breakfast room

Very pleased with my stay and the staff were great and tried to help in every way possible, However, Best Western refused to give me credits on my REWARD points because I booked through a 3rd party. Very good experience. The pool and breakfast were both great. All employees that helped me where efficient and thoughtful. A nice hotel with up to date decor and a convenient spot...close to the freeway and the airport. It was relatively quiet given its location and it was nice to be able to open a window for some air rather than having to rely on fans. Nice breakfast as well. Obviously more oriented to business clients as by the time we got to the breakfast room, it was almost empty. Sometimes it works to be on vacation and get up a little later.

I had received a gift certificate from work to stay at this particular hotel. My husband and I were very excited. We stayed the night on the way to banff. We had a hard time finding the hotel. It was our first Time in Calgary and We had to drive Back and forth on the highway. Finally we found it, it is located a little further from the highway. Still after finding the bestwestern sign, we had to figure out how to access the building. We requested for a complimentary late check out as we had a late check in, the staffs refused us outright. We asked them again in the morning, they refused us. Would I recommend this hotel? No!! Why? Because the service was not what I was expecting from a best western.

Good location, room was clean with updated decor, beds were comfortable. Bathroom was quite small but the shower gave great water pressure. Front staff was friendly and attentive. We stayed for 2 nights in room 311, a King room. The hotel is 100% non-smoking, so no cigarette odours in the hallways or room. The room was fairly large, but there is not enough room for two people to pass between the end of the bed and the desk/unit. Both of us agreed that the bed was the most comfortable hotel bed we have slept in for a while. The shower is huge and the water pressure is excellent. The hotel is right next to fire station but we never heard any noise from that quarter, in fact the location is exceptionally quiet. The breakfast for the two mornings we were there offered a pleasing variety. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. We will be staying here again the next time we are in Calgary.

The staff took up the breakfast room the first day. Took all the bagged breakfasts the the first day. Did not get help on a can opener, told us that it was there then when went to the desk it was taken. Asked for coffee, not enough in the room for a couple of nights stay and got a bad reaction for asking. The door to the bathroom did not lock same with the door to the hall way. The cleaners are the only one that saved that hotel. I have stayed in a lot of hotels and will never stay there again.

Wonderful place to stay..was there last week and when I had to go to Calgary again I chose this Best Western among all the hotels there... super clean rooms with bar fridge and microwave, comfy beds, excellent staff, excellent breakfast buffet included where you can watch a great big screen tv, great little pool and hot tub, at a price that cannot be beat. I've stayed at Hiltons and although they are bigger rooms and flashier, this Best Western feels like home...at 1/3 of the cost.

I've stayed here before a year ago, and it was still under renovations. I was glad to see that the hotel is beautiful and construction was complete when I came back a second time back in November. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I had a king business room which was more than what I could have asked for. The shower was wonderful, and the bed was so comfy. The continental breakfast was great and I definitely enjoyed it. This hotel will continue to be my go to hotel when I come to Calgary. Thank you!

Overall is a good hotel if you look for something close to the airport. the location is not within the hotel and it took about 15 minutes to go to airport. Mattress is good! facility is enough for a transit type of hotel; they have good breakfast.

I will never stay here again after my two nights in December! We chose this hotel because it is a Best Western and offered the stay and fly package! The room looked great, but when you have kids and you are on the floor collecting things, I saw how not nice it was. The floor was less than clean, the mouldings were falling off the walls, in some spots the carpet was even lifting. The elevator barley fit the luggage cart, which made it difficult to maneuver. The pool and hot tub were out of service as well. I had to go to the counter twice the first night for new keys, as ours wouldn't work. The shuttle from the hotel to the airport was great. The driver was friendly, and very helpful with our luggage and sending us in the right direction into the airport. Now the worst part of this whole stay, was the shuttle from the airport back to the hotel when we came back from our trip. Before leaving I asked numerous times what the procedure was for the shuttle as we would be arriving at 11pm with a toddler and newborn baby. When we arrived at the airport, I called right away for our shuttle, was told it would be about 20mins. We got to the door that they told us, and waited. My husband went outside to wait for the shuttle and when it arrived, a few people walked up to it, the driver called my name, and my husband said that was us, and that he just had to get me and the kids from inside, he came to get me, and then noticed that the shuttle left with other people instead. I called the hotel and was told I had to wait an hour before the next shuttle would be back......I'm standing in a hotel with a newborn baby and 3 year old, at midnight, after the shuttle i called for left us there.......after some choice words with the hotel staff on the phone, they finally agreed to pay for a cab to bring us back. It took us almost two hours from when I called for the shuttle to get back to the hotel. It was a horrible ending to our trip, and for that reason, I would never go back!

Everything about this stay is what I would expect except for the coffee in the breakfast room. LIQUID COFFEE at a Best Western!! Come on guys. Thermal coffee or a machine that grinds beans would be much better. I get the 24 hour thing but there are much better options.

We were in Calgary for medical reasons this hotel looked after all our needs including giving us a map and highlighting where we needed to go. We were able to just relax after getting back in the hot tub and used the swimming pool.

When I got to my room I was very tired.Went to get into the bed and I found a fresh soiled stain on the sheet.I do not believe the sheet was ever changed from the previous guest.Fortunately the second bed was available.I always stay at Best Western when I can but this experience has me wondering why.

Meh , small room , smaller bathroom . Nice front desk person. Typical hotel. Poor layout in the room. Not enough power outlets. To all hotels in the world nobody uses iPhone 4 charge alarm clock. Parking awesome . Tv good but poorly placed. Did I say it was a small room yup.

We love staying at Best Western hotels, my son always looks forward to swim in their pools whenever we go for long or short holidays. Towels are fluffy too. We spent our new year holidays on this hotel and it was great.

Stayed here two nights before and after flights. The hotel is about a 10 minute drive to the airport and is across the street from a small mall with Vietnamese restaurant, convenience stores and liquor outlet. There is an indoor pool although it was closed for repairs. The buffet breakfast has hot and cold items and was quite extensive for a budget hotel. The rooms were large with good walk-in showers. Large television with multiple stations. Wi-fi was free and easy to access. Staff were friendly and overall better than many hotels of this class. Room rates were quite reasonable although we had booked on Booking.com.

We stayed at the Best Western Airport Inn because it offered good value for our money. Calgary is an expensive city, so we were pleased with the rate that was offered to us. Travelers should understand that this is not Best Western Plus or Premier. It offers good, basic accommodation. For example, our room was clean and we found the bed to be comfortable. My wife, however, was disappointed that our bathroom did not include a bath tub; - only a shower. The complimentary breakfast was very good. We were really impressed with the service provided by the breakfast room attendant. The fitness room contains only two pieces of equipment, and the swimming pool area was closed to all guests. Our major concern with this property was the apparent inexperience of front-desk personnel. The young lady had difficulty explaining credit card pre-authorization to us. She also did not apply a special $25.00 Best Western Credit to our account. Fortunately, a supervisor was able to correct the error. Despite the above concern, we can recommend this property for short-term stays.

The Best Western Airport Inn is conveniently located right next to Trans Canada Highway 1 in the NE corner section of Calgary. There is ample free parking and offers a shuttle to the airport. The hotel is clean and offers free breakfast. Be sure to request a room on the upper floors because the ground room we stayed in was smaller.

Front desk staff were pleasant and room was clean. Property was clearly well-managed. We thought as an "Airport" Inn, it would be close to the airport and therefore we grabbed a taxi. That was a mistake; this Airport Inn is quite far from the airport (9 miles/15 km) and the travel time is roughly 30 minutes. At least if you take the free shuttle, you won't feel the distance as acutely in your wallet.

My overall experience at this hotel was that it is a great option to stay. The staff was very friendly, the rooms are a good size, and everything was clean. I was there for business, and it's important that the wifi works well, which it did. I enjoyed the breakfast. The location was convenient to the airport, and easy to find. My downside to the whole experience was that in the middle of the night, there was a security issue outside my room. I believe it was an unusual event that wouldn't probably ever be recreated, so no details are necessary. My disappointment was that no one offered to move me to another room, or compensated me for a couple of lousy sleeps due to nervousness after a scare. Aside from that, I had a good stay.

We were on a two week road trip and this was the best room that we had. The pool did not look clean when we were there. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very similar to other hotel that we stayed at.

Location was very accessible to our main destination. Breakfast was great. Complement to the lady who works there every morning.. Didn't got her name.. Bed was comfortable specially the pillows.. Very huge room had plenty of space.. Staff was very friendly.. Just some comments: Bathroom was very tight. Sheets have stains. Suggestion: Please do not put towels under the sink. The washroom sink was dripping so towels placed under the counter top was not usable anymore..

Recent renovations improved the appearance. Staff very friendly. Basic things like refrigerator had broken racks and not levelled/stable in two different rooms. Had heavy smoker stay in room prior to my stay (apparently did not smoke in room) however his B/O or general smoker odor sure did transfer to the room. Staff could not get odor out. I did choose to remain in this room, however the smell was annoying.

Very handy to Trans Canada and Deerfoot Trail if you have business or family in NE Calgary. Continental breakfast very good except the scrambled eggs left a little to be desired! strange dense texture and cubed! Otherwise good selection of hot and cold. Have stayed here often and have yet ot heat any sirens from the Fire Hall next door.
