Best Western On The Avenue

Do not stay in room 101. I booked a 2 night stay a year in advance. I have no idea why they assigned me an accessible weirdly located room. For people needing this room, the shower would work. However, no way is the sink at a convenient level. My bed was missing the duvet, I had 2 sheets with a coverlet in between. I was freezing. This room is located at the end of a short hallway lined with tables and chairs. The other room is a coffee break station. The guests using this area probably have no idea someone's room is there. Horribly noisy. Breakfast is the typical items. We didn't return for our 2nd night.

The hotel it self was clean, staff was friendly, modern rooms. But if you decide to drive the PARKING IS TERRIBLE. The lot is extremely small perhaps 25 cars at max (I'm being generous) we were told if we couldn't find parking that we can park in the surrounding residential neighborhoods. Thankfully we kept an eye on the parking lot and when a free one became available ran to our car on the street and parked it in the lot for the night. we didn't leave the hotel with our car for the remainder of the day so we wouldn't lose it. Keep that in mind especially if driving with small children the surrounding area isn't that close.

Wonderful accommodations and service! The beds were very comfortable. The location was excellent. The hotel was quite clean. We look forward to staying again. We liked having a Starbucks right nearby The price was very reasonable. Parking was quite convenient.

We stayed overnight in mid-February for a combination business trip/family visit. Right from check-in the Staff and Manager were friendly, accommodating and professional. The room was well equipped and very comfortable. The hotel, and the room were clean and quiet which was great because I was exhausted and uncomfortable. It also felt very secure, which is great in a city. I expect that in good weather (which this night wasn't) it would be great as there were things to do and good looking places to eat really close by. I'd definitely stay here again!

Overall very the whole hotel was clean. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Recommend bringing blankets are the sheets are very thin and you are capped out to help turn the heat up. Beds a bit hard.

Incredibly professional and courteous staff in an impeccably clean hotel in a prime location with easy parking...they got everything right! It's not easy to find a place when you are looking to park a pickup in the middle of a city, but to find that place and have it be top notch...amazing!

Great place to stay in downtown Buffalo. Conveniently located. Very clean. The staff is GREAT! Everyone there is very helpful! There are many nice places to eat within walking distance. A group of us stay there whenever we get a chance to get to Buffalo.

I went to Roswell Park for cancer surgery. My sister drove with me and stayed until I was discharged from the hospital. I only stayed the first night. She stayed for five nights. She said that the breakfasts were very good. The room was clean and comfortable. I had a special rate because I was in Roswell Park. I was very grateful for the kindness of staff.

Checked in at 4pm and got assigned a room that was still a mess from the previous guest. The hotel also changed me PRIOR to check in without notice and approval. Upon leaving they charged me $200 as a “smoking fee” even though on camera they see me leaving the building to smoke. Troy the manager was completely rude to me over the phone and told me to dispute it with my credit card.

I stayed here for a week. Was in a regular room until I realized they had Jacuzzi suites. They also offer smoking Or non smoking which is amazing for the area. The staff is so sweet and Understanding.

We have stayed at the Buffalo BW on Delaware Ave several times over the past few months. The rooms and hotel are very clean, and the staff is very accommodating! The manager, Troy, is just the best! He goes out of his way to do what is necessary to make your stay pleasurable. We always stay on the 5th floor - and it is always very quiet. No conversations overheard from anyone while in your room, and no traffic noise at all! Nice comfy beds and great shower. Can't ask for much more!

We are rewards members we can usually count on a good nights stay for 135.00 to 150.00 a night with many amenities. We called to get a room while in Buffalo, The ad says this is a 2 star hotel, with no amenities. We were charged 243.00 for a room all because there happened to be a Bills football game that Sunday. Why should a 2 star hotel be allowed to gouge customers. One expects to pay more for amenities, but not for none. They are a total rip off the their Rewards customers. We travel through Buffalo twice a year, we will find other accomadations from now on.

Great location, loved that the hotel is no more than a 5 min drive from being in the heart of downtown. Enjoyed that my room was on the parking lot side where I can remote start my car before I leave the room form the 4th floor. Slept like a baby, had a wonderful hot shower and really enjoyed the breakfast. One thing to keep in mind is that this hotel allows for smoking and non smoking rooms. We were on the non smoking side but somehow second hand smoke filled our room. I'm not sure how that happened but once reported the hotel staff took care of the problem immediately and by morning I didn't smell smoke nor did my room or any of my belongings. In the future I'll probably stick to a completely non-smoking hotel to avoid any smoking mishaps.

Beds were comfortable. Didn't like washroom door as the toilet and shower area was a tight space. Breakfast could have been better with more options but overall was good. 1 night stay here was spent well and I would stay again.

My husband was in the hospital with a stroke. Best Western on the Avenue took care of me when I wasn't visiting him. Great place to chill after a day sitting with him and great hospital rate! Very nice hot breakfast.

So glad we chose this hotel! Centrally located, close to Roswell Park for those who need it. The manager was nice enough to inform us of the shuttle offered between Roswell & BW, and also of the reduced nightly rate if you are a Roswell Patient. The hotel is centrally located, clean with helpful staff, nice clean quiet rooms, nice modern bathroom & shower with good water pressure. The included breakfast was very good as well. Great place to stay!

Great location in downtown Buffalo. Great restaurants nearby, free parking, free breakfast with nice options. Wonderful staff and the cutest lobby mascot! Highly recommend The Best Western on the Avenue.

Stayed one night here as we wanted somewhere with a spacious room in the City of Buffalo. Room was nice, good size and we were impressed with the cleanliness quality...this does seem like a hotel group / hotel that seems to highlight cleanliness ( pay attention other Hotels ) which is important to us ( nothing ruins a night in a hotel like finding dirt ) Didn't try the breakfast as we had Brunch reservations but i'm sure it was fine. The only downside is we had our car stolen right out of the parking lot overnight which put a dampener on our stay, not a very secure parking lot and the camera system doesn't seem to cover the entire lot Nice place for the money, good location.Certainly worthy of 4 Stars

It's a nice older hotel. It has been being remodeled. Rooms are nice. Our only issue was the air conditioning rattled and disturbed our sleep. There are a lot of places to go in the area, This is a prime location.

Located close to many restaurants and Niagara Falls. Fair price for room. Adequate selection for breakfast. Friendly and professional staff. Requests were handled promptly. Traffic was manageable. Close to other points of interest.

NIce, clean hotel in a great location with plenty of good restaurants near by. Room was average but clean and hotel workers were very pleasant and responsive. Breakfast was above average for hotel free breakfasts.

Stayed in Buffalo for a comedy show . Conveniently located hotel in downtown Buffalo. Friendly staff and liked the security in the elevator, need your room key to get to your floor. Beds were comfy and room was clean Breakfast was filling, lots to choose from and plentiful. You will not go hungry.

Spectacular in every way. The front desk called me to confirm my reservation the morning we were to arrive to clarify something we requested. The manager, Tony, made some wonderful dinner recommendations (we went to Fat Bob's Smokehouse))! Also, beyond friendly, the room was great, tv was nice, water is hot, and room is CLEAN! The staff here should be commended on going above and beyond! I strongly recommend. PS- the bird in the lobby is named Simba. She is a 27 year old African Grey.

We had to accommodate my family for a wedding and everyone was from out of the area. This hotel was an excellent choice. They were attentive, and Tony (the owner) went out of his way to make sure that our group was taken care of - even putting a "welcome" on the board for the wedding group. The full hot breakfast was delicious and the free parking was appreciated since we were in the city.

We ended up at this motel because our other reservation was cancelled because of a leak. The lady taking my reservation was very helpful and got me a room for our family right away. We had a 2-queen room and it was very comfortable. Breakfast was typical, but filling and good. Location was perfect for driving up to Niagara Falls State Park and also using Uber to go downtown for a Harbor Cruise. Nice place to stay.

We spent 4 nights and had a wonderful stay. Troy, the general manager, is so warm and friendly as well as his whole staff. He gave us a printed list of walkable area restaurants that were terrific and great history related places to visit like the home where Teddy Roosevelt took the oath of office - it's right up the street and definitely worth a visit - as well as the Martin House which was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. Our room was clean and lovely and the beds and pillows were so comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with plentiful hot and cold choices and parking is free. We will definitely be staying here every time we come up to visit our daughter.

The room was cleanest I've been in. Very friendly and helpful staff. And I love the parrot in the lobby. The breakfast was actually good for a hotel breakfast. Parking is up close. There are a bunch of nice places to eat within walking distance.

The hotel is comfortable and clean. Staff is mostly friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good and abundant. Location is also good: although it is not in the downtown area, the neighborhood is very nice and pleasant, and a 20 minute walk will take you to the heart of Downtown Buffalo.

The stay was for 1 night at a rate of $221.10 inclusive of taxes. I'm a diamond member and asked for an upgrade and extra blankets. We got neither. In other properties we actually get upgrades, water and in some, chocolate. Here we were put in a room that, obviously, someone had smoked in and was not properly deodorized. I was going to request another room but my husband was tired and said not to bother we'll just suck it up for the night. We looked for blankets and there were none. We went for breakfast in the morning and unfortunately the breakfast items had not kept up with the guests. The supply was empty on the cooked food and toast. That was all we used on this trip.

The stay was enjoyable and the location was a short drive to lots of great shopping and walking distance to the store, drug store, etc. The beds were comfortable and there was a fridge which was very handy. We made use of the microwave in the snack room off the lobby,

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights, while visiting Buffalo for the first time. This is a great location and base for sightseeing. Allen St is 1/2 a block away and has a lot of fun and varied restaurant choices. The Theodore Roosevelt Inauguration site is 2 blocks away. Summer St, and Millionaire's Row is 2 blocks away. Just walking a few blocks around the hotel is a feast for the eyes with the variety of architecture of local homes. Now about the hotel. I found it quiet overall. We were on the 5th floor. There was a mini fridge in the room, but no microwave. The rooms were spacious, in addition to a bed and desk, there was a comfortable chair to sit on. There is a full breakfast provided which was plentiful and there were a lot of choices: eggs, make your own waffles, fruit, yogurt, bagels etc. The staff is friendly, welcoming and ready to help with sightseeing suggestions. Parking is free. This is big, since other hotels, just a few blocks away charge and furthermore, once here, I realized I liked this location much better than the other places. You could easily walk down to the Canal area, it's less than 2 miles, but driving is easy too. PS there is free parking at the Marina. There's a gate there, but drive through, take your first right, and an immediate left to park for free. Enjoy the walk along the canal to get to the sites. (no more than 5min) Can't go wrong staying here.

Best Western on the Avenue is a wonderful hotel! My husband and I have have stayed there several times. We are always treated really well by everyone. Troy is a great manager and the whole staff is very friendly, courteous, and professional . The rooms are great, parking is always easy, the service is top notch, and the location is perfect! This is our go to hotel as our son lives very close by. If you are visiting Buffalo, do not hesitate to stay at the Best Western - On the Avenue! You will not be disappointed!!

We have few occasions to stay overnight at hotels but our 2 stays at the Best Western on the Avenue in Buffalo, NY was truly a pleasure. All staff members were warm and friendly and were very accomodating to all our needs. It will be our choice to stay there while visiting Buffalo, NY in the future.

The hotel was so clean and fresh. The best hotel/motel we've stayed in over the last 3 months of traveling from here to Albuquerque, NM. Breakfast was great and the staff was very accommodating, pleasant & informative giving us ideas for dinners. I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else.

best slightly uncomfy, wierd shower no curtain or door water leaks out. TV did not work had to try and get help from front desk multiple times to get it to function then still couldn't And one younger gentlmen at the front desk workers was quite rude

Stayed here for 2 nights with 2 children aged 7&9. Great location. 20 Minute walk to downtown along millionaires avenue so plenty to see on the way. Receptionist recommended some good eateries and was really helpful. We chose this hotel because of the free parking and had no issues finding a space although it was rather full. Only downside for us was the breakfast guy was really overworked and couldn't keep up with the demand. Hot food was frequently empty and when refilled people swarmed on it like locusts. They could really use more staff in the morning. Would recommend this hotel for Downtown Buffalo and would stay again if retuning.

Everything perfect and as we expected. The room and linen clean and in place. Parking available, check in very quickly. In a few minutes we arrived, we were in the room to rest after 6 hours trip. Good support we found from the Management personal who gave us a tip about the nicest restaurant to have a dinner and drink. In the morning, we have fresh and delicious breakfast. Thanks to all!

Very nice Hotel. We stay there when going to Sheas or the BPO. This time it was to see the Celtic Women, The staff is very nice and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. The hotel is very close to all everything Buffalo.

Nice location near downtown and Elmwood and Allentown. Comfortable bed, clean room, friendly staff and generous breakfast. The staff were very helpful when we had questions and always greeted us. We also enjoyed seeing Simba, the resident Parrot.

The bed only had a sheet and very thin blanket. Needed a thicker blanket. Prefer a cool room with a good blanket, not turning up the heat, as then it is hard to breath. Unusual set up with bathroom sink in the bedroom area

I enjoy staying at this hotel because its convenient for me. It has off street parking and easy access to everyplace I need to be. Walking distance to restaurants and even a National historic site. Its a great value.

we had a great stay at best western in Buffalo, NY. It was very close to the event we were going to at Shea's. Also everything was very clean and tidy, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Clean, great breakfast and location. Front desk personnel was extremely nice and told us to go to La Nova, the best wings we've ever had! I wish I remembered her name so I could give her a should out, but she was working the night of September 11th around 5pm. Great experience. I'm so happy we chose to stay here and would definitely stay again if in the area. Thank you!

We stayed for the first time as we were here from Canada and we're going to a wrestling event at the Key Bank Center. This location is close to the border. Only minutes from the Key Bank Center and walking distance to restaurants. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was nice and very clean. Beds extremely comfortable. We would definitely stay here agsin

First tye location you cannot go wrong with. In the Historic Allentown Neighbourhood says it all. Walk out and one block you have a bunch of restaurants and cafes. Walk down the street to W Chippewa and there's the nightlife. Walk 3 blocks and you are at the LRT to take you 5 stops to the Keybank Arena. The hotel is small, clean, and just great. We stayed this past week for one night to attend the AEW wrestling event. The rooms all are on one side of the hotel and it's only 6 floors. Check in is quick. There are two seating areas in the small lobby of you want to just relax and have a coffee. The room was large and clean. Very comfy beds. The bathroom is small but because the design is unique. The sink and mirror is just outside of the bathroom. Lots of space too. Towels are in the wall in a shelf which is great. The bathroom has the toilet and the shower is to the side. Interesting too is there is no door to the shower but the water doesn't all spill out onto the floor unless you stand too close to the shower entrance. We put a small towel down on the floor just in case the water did spill out. The windows actually slide open with a screen in place so you can let in fresh air. Like I said, you cannot go wrong here. We will be back to attend the WWE Friday Night Smackdown wrestling event in December. Traveled from Toronto.

We missed our shuttle ride for friend's wedding due to car trouble. The front desk staff called the HOTEL OWNER and asked if he would give us a ride. Door to door service beyond our expectations. We were just blown away by the consideration and assistance. Thank you very much again!!!

Very nice hotel in an excellent location - close to downtown and public transport. It's decently priced, clean, well maintained, quiet, safe and secure (a must for women travelling alone)...would definitely stay again

It truly was the best and will have great memory of our stay Location was great we parked our car and were able to walk to restaurants and also attend church service on Sunday morning. Staff was great friendly and made us feel welcome.

My experience at Best Western was very positive. I thought the room was nice. It was situated very well and cozy. The only thing I did not like so much was the bed was comfortable but it was too high from the floor.

This location is an excellent starting point for all your Buffalo adventures. Easy access to most everything, and really feels more like a family owned place than a chain. We did miss the daily room servicing because of Covid, but I assume that will return.

We stayed here with our five year old for two nights. It was immaculately clean, quiet, and had a great view. Free breakfast was delicious, with hot waffles, sausage, fresh fruit, eggs, and yogurt. The staff was all so friendly and welcoming and really knew the area. It's close to canalside, a hip waterfront area, and the artsy Allentown neighborhood.

We had to make a trip to Buffalo for my father to have surgery at Roswell. Troy the manager went above and beyond to make our stay perfect! Very secure building, exceptional customer service and the rooms were clean and very spacious. Definitely would stay here again!

Our stay was very nice, the room was very clean and comfortable, the staff extremely nice and pleasant. The hot breakfast was really good with scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage, bagels and make your own waffles and juices and coffee.

The desk clerks here were pleasant and helpful. However, the overall atmosphere of the hotel is uninviting. The halls were dimly lit, as was our room. There was a musty odor in some of the halls as well. The breakfast included very few items, compared with that in similar hotels, and many of them were of low quality. Most importantly, the noise from the hall traveled easily into the room, especially the loud closing of doors nearby, making our sleep frequently disrupted.

This Best Western is in the popular Allentown neighborhood just north of downtown. The room prices are budget friendly, the staff are kind and courteous. Several years ago, there was a major project to renovate all the rooms, floor by floor. The 5th floor was first to be redone, and that's where we stayed this trip. Sadly, our room showed lots of wear. The wall mirror had scratches and stains. The bathroom floor was marred. Cotton sheets and pillowcases feel scratchy. Carpet is stained in various spots. On the plus side, we had clean, fluffy white towels, and a modern coffee maker, fridge and microwave. The flat panel television was HUGE. Plus you're within walking distance from some very popular local restaurants. We've stayed here for many years, but it's the first time I really noticed the room condition.

I stayed here last year and I was admiring the Owner's 2021 Corvette. He came out and showed it to me, to my delight he asked me if I wanted to go for a ride! We went for a great ride in this beauty. I'm back in Buffalo, and will be checking in on Sunday. Great customer service and nice staff. Looking forward to coming back!

The receptionist did not accept to change the room for me five minutes after she entered, it was a smoking room and I do not smoke and it smelled not good Every time I visit the hotel, the visit and reception are good except this time

Do not believe the "pet friendly" notes about this hotel. Large dangerous dogs are fine, smoking marijuana in the rooms is fine, but not having a small, well-behaved cat. Manager was rude, told us to get out in 30 minutes.

This hotel is not only located centrally to the fun things in Buffalo, but the front desk service and cleanliness is excellent. The staff is always willing to help you with any travel relates issues. Highly recommend!

I needed to stay the night in downtown Buffalo due to an unexpected weather event, and chose this hotel. It was reasonably clean, quiet and affordable. The breakfast was low key and tasty. I was impressed with the quality for the budget friendly price.

Great place to stay for 2nd round of March Madness! Lots of good restaurants within walking distance. Very friendly staff we will stay here again. Our fourth visit to Buffalo and we will always stay here.

Arrived late at night and was greeted by Anthony who was beyond kind & welcoming. Every interaction so far with anyone has been exceptional (Troy for our phone reservation). Room was clean & comfortable. Parking was easily accessed. Location was safe & near many amenities.

Annual trip to a Sabers game. Dennis and crew greeted our group with a smile and treated us great. Rooms were clean and ready prior to check in. Hospitality room was ready. Due to covid the Breakfast room was closed but that didn't stop them from serving a bagged breakfast to their guest. Definitely will go back next year. Thank you for a nice stay.

Stayed overnight for an appointment at Roswell cancer institute (which is 4 minutes away from hotel) Our room was not ready when we arrived however they gave an extra hour for check out…Other than receiving 1 wash cloth for 3 guests I was completely satisfied. The staff were friendly and very accommodating…will be returning for my next appointment

When we arrived there was not ample parking. Had to park in a parking garage a mile away and Uber to hotel. There was blood on the walls of room. The AC/Heating sounded like a motorcycle going off. The manager did believe me when I informed them of the issues. I had video and photo evidence. They proceeded to say “well I think there won't be blood in the room it is probably fruit punch”. Either way, rooms should be cleaned thoroughly especially with Covid-19. It was very off putting. The front desk attendant the night we arrived was cry helpful. The manager was very condescending and rude. Pros: location was good, the overall value (on paper) if there weren't any issues would be okay.

My husband and I had to come to the area for his mother's surgery on a Friday. They allowed us to check in early with no problems. After an issue with the hospital, surgery was postponed until Saturday so we needed to stay another night. The staff went above and beyond to get us another room as well as offering fantastic recommendations on local food spots and things to do while we waited. After all of that every time we saw them someone asked how mom was doing or about updates. Absolutely meant the world to us. The owner was great. The front desk morning staff was my favorite. She's very easy to talk to and very kind and genuine. We will definitely go back!

The Best Western on The Avenue is a great downtown location. Easy free parking, staff more than helpful and friendly! Room was clean and comfortable, great coffee service and the hotel mascot in the lobby is always fun! Highly recommend.

Male front desk staff made check in horrible!!! He needed to be awakened by other staff just so we could check in at 5pm! We were asked for our credit card pin number so he would not have to sanitize the credit card machine. He was rude and disrespectful when we did not provide the number. For the first 5 hours of our stay I was more than ready to check out. His unapologetic attitude presented as privilege. I adore this hotel! Over the past twenty years I have stayed here numerous times, and been extremely happy here every single time. Please do yourself a favor and book a room here today, you will be glad you did. The staff are friendly, professional, polite and experienced.

The rooms ere very very nice. Far above the Embassy Suites located within 2 blocks (I have stayed at both. The employees gave great service especially their night Manager Troy. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The hotel staff was great, especially Tony. Great recommndations of what was around and where he would go not just were a tourist might go. Good location to most everything. I would definitely recommend on your next trip to Buffalo.

The room was nice, spacious and clean, the place is close to downtown. Not sure if it is only because of Covid but the service was very limited and could be improved. The advertised breakfast was very disappointing for me, a brown bag to go with nothing healthy in it.

We were in Buffalo for Labor Day weekend and am very happy we stayed at the Best Western on the Avenue. They recently did a great remodel that is very tastefully decorated and comfortable. The towels and bedding are all new too. But not only is the decorating nice but, every member of the staff we encountered were exceptionally nice. Every time we walked in, the ladies at the front desk greeted us warmly, the maintenance man in the hallway made conversation with us and asked if we were enjoying our stay. Plus, it was nice and quiet. I think I only heard other guests once and slept very well. And, it is in a great location with a wonderful variety of good restaurants within a very easy walk. I will most likely stay at this hotel again when I'm in Buffalo!

Comfortable bed (king) showers are awesome. Did not care for the bag breakfast. Should actually have choices of fruit. Was an apple only will have to bring bananas with me next time, but other than that will stay again.

wanted to stay at a hotel that was consistent with clean and friendly every time and best western is that place. just pull in and quick check in and done, ice machine and soda and candy if needed on each floor, A.C. works great and grab and go bags every morning. coffee when you want it

Front desk person is very friendly and accommodating. Hotel is very close to University of Buffalo which is convenience to help kid to move into school. Room is clean and breakfast is grab to go. I will definitely return.

The Best Western is ideally situated between the attractions on the near north side and downtown. It was easy to hook on to 190-S to 90-W when leaving town today. The room was comfortable, and I liked being on the top floor. I would recommend adding a microwave. I liked the parking lot. Would stay there again next time I'm in Buffalo.

Room was super clean, staff was friendly and room was affordable. Just make sure you come down for breakfast early. I would definitely book a room here again. There isn't too much else I can say except book now!

The location was awesome. The room was ok. Said queen beds but definitely not queen. There was an ant problem, the shower was horrible, no matter what we did we soaked the floor because there's no door! Said hot breakfast but don't be fooled it was a grab and go! It was way too expensive for the overall experience.

I likes the hotel the rooms were just a bit small and there's not enough parking. They have a no smoking policy but our room smelled like marijuana the moment I opened the door and my 11 year old even said something. Otherwise it was clean and decent. The price is a bit much for what u get I guess we paid for location. Overall the stat wasn't terrible just small things here and there. The front desk staff was awesome! Also there is no pool I was kinda surprised.

This hotel is using the pandemic to cut back on services, like others we've stayed at recently. Breakfast comes in a paper bag and it's the same every day. So if you're staying several days, it's monotonous. Yogurt and healthy options would have been nice. No housekeeping, but you can request fresh towels and such and they'll be left outside your door. Bathroom could use a soap dish. And we had to request toilet paper at arrival since there was very little in the bathroom. On a positive note, soundproofing was great. Heard nothing from other rooms. Towels are big and thick. There was no street noise. Appreciated that. Weekend rate is over $200. Kind of pricey for a stripped down hotel.

We had a plumbing catastrophe and had to stay down the street from our house. It was so simple to get a room, it was comfortable and the staff was so kind and helpful. We loved the parrot that lives in the lobby and the staff were like a family.

Troy at the front desk was great and very informative. Walking distance to several restaurants and several more only a short drive away. The room was clean and very nice. All front desk workers were very friendly. Would stay here again. Morning breakfast wasn't the greatest due to Covid, however plenty in the bag to get your morning off to a good start.

The room was good and the customer service from the staff was great. Troy helped guide us to restaurants and other areas around Buffalo which made our stay even better. When I return to Buffalo for business I will definitely stay at this hotel.

I enjoyed this property. I asked for a smoking room. The entire 2nd floor smelled of marijuana, not that I'm complaining. Just a heads up, NY is now a legal recreational marijuana state. Way to go Buffalo!

My son and I stayed 2 nights to help my other son move. The beds felt really good after a long day! Smaller than other Best Westerns I've stayed at before but just as clean, updated and comfortable! Really missed the breakfast thanks to Covid!! It's always good at Best Western.

we took a trip to buffalo, a 9 hour drive, i booked another hotel half the way there to cut the drive in half. it was the hotel from hell. after 5 minutes in the hotel from hell I called Best Western, I already had a reserved room for the next 2 nights. I asked if they had a room for tonight. it was 4.30 P.M...They saved a room for us. thank god. We drove for 4 Hrs. and left the hotel from Hell went to the one from heaven

Our check in guy was great. He directed us to places within walking to the hotel. The room was clean. Easy to get to from the highway. Parking was at the hotel not a parking garage. Seemed like a safe environment.

Enjoyed my stay at this hotel. All staff encountered were very pleasant. Room was very clean and the hotel was quiet. Close to public transportation. Wish breakfast was better, but understand given the circumstances. I would definitely stay here again!

I like this hotel for its cleanliness, convenience, and friendly staff. I just wish they'd reopen their breakfast bar. With restaurants open and able to serve customers, I can't see why they can't also reopen. It was a very nice feature of this hotel and will increase the value of staying there once it's reopened.

I have never stayed at a Best Western prior to my previous stay. The check-in process was a breeze and very professional. The room we were given was Awesome. We really enjoyed our stay at BW we will definitely be returning. Check out process was also very quick and efficient everyone was very professional and friendly. We got an amazing meal from one of the local places which was pointed out for us at check-in. Awesome place to go...

We stayed here when my husband took the bar exam in February 2020. We walked into a clean and spacious room, good quality mattress and pillows, space for working and for clothing and pretty good quality toiletries. We slept comfortably. In the lobby, the team were really friendly and helpful. There was a cafeteria area with self service coffee machine and cutlery. Breakfast was also a joy as the cook was very friendly and funny. You could make your own waffles! Eggs were very good especially the cheesy ones. Thanks for a personable and great stay!

I walked into a clean and warm lobby. The manager Troy was very attentive and help with a brief introduction to Simba the hotel African Grey parrot and I learned some new facts. The room was spotless and the building was newly renovated. I was very impressed with Troy and the facility. Definitely a customer again when in the area

Room was on hot tub didnt turn on but we still were ok breakfast wasn't what we expect but overall was ok. Hope the nrxt stay we can have a hot tub that works. Wonderful staff is what makes u different from others

We stayed here on our way home to Albany from Indiana. Smooth check in and out. We did however, book through a 3rd party and didn't realize it. We ended up paying a lot more for the room because of that and were very disappointed about it. We were exhausted from driving from Indiania when we made the reservation, and didn't even realize we booked through a 3rd party and the rate was a lot higher. Staff was very friendly. The room was updated and very clean. Felt very comfortable during COVID. There is a cool Jim Kelly art in the elevator. Walking distance from many restaurants. We will definitely stay here again!

I am an essential worker and this hotel went beyond my needs during my stay. The staff, Troy Mgr,, Dawn, and Shayra, were very sympathetic to the stress I was under. They made me feel welcome, and were more like friends, than hotel employees. I can't say enough about them, and appreciate all they did for me. I would always choose Best Western and highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Great room, that I could relax in. Great value!

We picked this hotel because it is very close to RWCC. It was nice and clean. the room was very nice. the staff was nice and helpful. With the C19 going on it was very nice to know that we found a save clean place to stay.

I've stayed at this Best Western many times, but this time was more enjoyable because the rooms are remodeled. Very nice design on the remodel, especially the bathroom, and the bed was very comfortable. I have back issues, so I always worry about pain from a soft mattress- this one was not a problem at all. The front desk attendants were polite and professional, and not in a fake way. Enjoyed talking with them.

Best Western on the Avenue is a great place to stay in downtown Buffalo. Quite a few things to do within walking distance. The staff at the hotel are the best! It is very clean and the beds are extremely comfortable.

Came to Buffalo to revisit our eldest daughter, who is in grad school at D'Youville and wanted to stay someplace close to Elmwood Village and Allentown ... the Best Western checked the box. Rooms are clean and reasonable price with the added bonus that you're walking distance to restaurants, bars, etc

Attending a show at KeyBank Arena so we stayed down town. Looked for hotels in Buffalo, many were $300+ per night, this was MUCH more reasonable. This Best Western was a short walk to the Metro and ride downtown. It was a beautiful night, so we walked. Nice location on Delaware near Allentown and good eats and beverage. The young lady working the desk couldn't have been nicer, always smiling. The room was very nice, comfortable bed, fridge, big tv, clean and very quiet. We would definitely stay here again.

Have been visiting Buffalo for many years - first time I've stayed at the BW. My son lives nearby and the location is very convenient with free parking. The lobby is small with a live bird! 5 floors. Stayed on the 5th floor. Room is spacious with tile and engineered wood flooring and area rug. Really liked it. Comfortable bed and bedding. Side chair and desk chair. Had one of my favorite features - sink outside the bathroom. Very nice microwave and fridge plus Keurig. Roomy tiled shower stall. Only downside - no door on the shower so no one could use the toilet if someone is in the shower. Quiet. Breakfast was very good. Enjoyed the stay!

As history buffs, my husband and I decided on an overnight stay in Buffalo to visit the Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural National Historic Site. The hotel is centrally located in the heart of town, and many restaurants are within walking distance. The entire staff was welcoming, including the resident parrot, Simba. The complimentary, well stocked breakfast buffet was the icing on the cake. We will stay here again when the occasion arises.

Bathroom both times were dirty. Had kids playing and running the halls. Slamming doors. Employee's are very condescending. Security guard harassed my daughter and her friend. Banging on my door at 4am. Telling them if they didn't open the door he was going to report them, for what only God knows. That he wasn't leaving till we opened the door. I refused to open the door. We were all in pajamas. I didn't feel safe here and neither did the girls.

Our room was pleasant, We requested a king bed, great! We had 2 occasional chairs and a table, but, you could not sit at the table because the chairs were too low, would have been nicer had they added to table type chairs too, so that a couple could have also played cards or had the ability to sit at the table with a laptop. We paid 136.00 and had to order from a fast food place near the Hotel. They delivered, but after driving for 12 hours a nice sit down meal in my hotel would have been much nicer than what we were offered. The staff was excellent, Breakfast was very nice as well.

Not a bad drive from the airport and plenty of on-site parking. We arrived later in the evening and were welcomed with great customer service. The random parrot/bird is a cute and unique touch to the lobby. We did Uber around a bit and everything was very close. Our room was very, very clean and we had a quiet, comfortable night. Good breakfast in the morning. Easy check-out process. This is a great stay in Buffalo for the price!

Very clean rooms in the downtown area at cheap rates. Great breakfast included that even has grilled homefries. This has been a place I've been staying for years, have seen many changes over that time. A new face lift has happened over past year.

great amenities, there are safety latches on inside of doors. some hotels don't have extra safety latches on inside of doors. prices for the rooms are super affordable. rooms are very modern cozy and beautiful . the last hotel i booked before best western the décor of the room was 1960 or 1970 the bedding looked very old. and the staff was not nice, and it was more expensive than Best Western. and they did not offer breakfast

Stayed at Best Western because of an early medical appointment the following day. The weather forecast made us question the likelihood of making that appointment safely and on time. Couldn't have been happier with the room. Very clean, modern decor and comfortable. Will definitely stay there again.

This recently remodeled facility is staffed with exceptionally friendly, helpful staff. They are the sort of people you would like to know. We had help with food allergies from the chef. Clear concise friendly directions from the front desk. Polite competent care of the room.

From the outside, this hotel doesn't look like much. Don't let that fool you. The hotel is actually perfectly nice. No, it's not the Ritz Carlton. But it is clean, newly renovated with comfy beds. The location is great - an easy walk to good food. We were on a road trip, only passing through and this place did us just fine.

Rooms have all been freashly updated with a lot of attention paid to making guests comfortable. Breakfast area was best in class. Parking lot was easy to access and exit. New walk in shower needs a soap / shampoo shelve added and a curtain to keep water inside the shower.

Staff was very nice but the hotel had limited to no hot water for showers in the morning of 11/24/2019. We had numerous rooms rented due to a wedding down the street. The hotel is located near Allen street and numerous places to go for a cocktail.

This is a very nice comfortable hotel with exceptional employees. Located in the downtown Allentown area of Buffalo. The area is a mix of residential, business and restaurants. The hotel has 5 floors and free parking. Ample walkable restaurants. Gas station/convenience store and Tim Horton's across the street. We were greeted and checked in by Shareh (I'm sorry if name is spelled wrong) who was one of the nicest informative front desk employees we've met in a hotel. We didn't have to ask about the hotel, the area or nearby restaurants because she happily gave us information without having to ask. This is a great first impression! Our double queen room on the 5th floor was modern and immaculate. Nice size tv with plenty of channels, Mini fridge, keurig with pods. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom though on the small side was newly renovated and immaculate. Breakfast is included. It was good especially the coffee. We loved seeing Sinba the parrot in the lobby! I must emphasis every employee we encountered went out of there way to be kind and helpful. We will definitely stay here again.

The space was beautiful and the staff was very nice and pleasant. Breakfast was delicious and had a lot of variety for the picky eater. It was relatively easy to find the sapce and there was a nice selection of restaurants within walking distance. Simba, the female, Gray African parrot was a special treat in the lobby.

Sorry for the late review but I need to leave a postive review of this lovely hotel. Shame we were only there for 1 night but a big thank you to the staff including Troy the manager for such a friendly welcome and all the good advice. Loved the room and breakfast was fab as was the staff serving. Would love to stay again. Location was good and about 10-15min walk to the street train where it becomes free to use. Free parking was also a bonus!

Good location, easy to get to with adequate free parking. This is my second stay here in six weeks. Excellent breakfast and the gentleman in charge of the Breakfast Room is doing a fantastic job. The place is kept spotless and well kept. I also found him extremely courteous, friendly and helpful.

Out of 3 weeks on the road the bed at Best Western On the Avenue was the most comfortable of all the places we stayed. Danielle at the front desk was very friendly, efficient and helpful on our arrival. Our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful. The breakfast room chef was friendly and informative. The location is handy to restaurants and places of interest. Would definitely recommend this Best Western hotel.

Went with my daughter and she met her favorite pet, polly the parrot in the lobby. The staff was very courteous and helpful, well trained. Ultra modern European styled rooms with recessed lights. Beds were very comfortable with the biggest TV I have ever seen . White leather cushioned head rest on bed. Bathroom was built with no curtains , I guess that was the design, but what if kids had to take shower , the first things those little chaps would do would be to splash water outside. Breakfast was a delight with meat separated from omelet showing sensitivity towards Vegan and Kosher/halal eating folks. This hotel has those little details that lingers and remains etched in memory like the elevator with see through door that shows the entire history of Buffalo as you go up or down. All the great restaurants within walking distance from all over the world.

Great front lobby staff, hotel is clean and refurbished. Close to many eateries. Ample parking. Odd thing about bathroom shower setup - stall shower, no door or curtain. Water sprays and drips pretty far. Floor towel soaked.

We checked on a Friday night, and were greeted by Troy. Troy was exceptionally great, quick and polite - and also stepped outside to show us how to get to the best spots in the area. Really appreciated the clean spot, with welcoming and friendly staff.

We loved the location and room, but it was a bit noisy being beside the elevator and highway traffic and the pillows were so uncomfortable we didn't sleep well. But the hotel was so affordable and lots if places to eat nearby.

Manager was very understanding and helpful. The team at the front desk were very cordial. They went out of their way to help us when we needed something which was unexpected. The hot breakfast was excellent. The gentleman (cook) was very cordial.

The property is nice and getting nicer; Sinba continues to charm as a "fowl ball." But what makes each return my family makes to Best Western on Buffalo's grand strip are the attentive and welcoming staff and manager. We will keep up our periodic visits on this excellent property which offers good value for the money and location/location/location!

We stayed one night while seeing a show at key bank center. Woman at check in was very nice. Check in was quick and easy and she provided directions to the train which was a close walk. Room was recently redone and very nice and clean. Beds were very comfortable. Nice breakfast and complimentary coffee, tea and hot cocoa available 24/7. Only things I didnt like, I was made aware of parking situation, it was not very convenient and difficult to find. I was traveling alone with my young son, and was concerned about where they had me park. Also, our room was on the corner facing in the area of what looked like a club on our walk back from the train, spent all night listening to yelling and screaming from the streets.

We booked rooms here on tour for myself, two other comedians and two of our tour managers. We didn't need to get to the lobby to understand the "Pardon Our Dust" notification. It was apparent from the deafening jack-hammers in the now taped-off parking lot. Funny how they don't list these problems when you book it, only when it's too late. What they didn't tell us at all is that the hot water had gone out and wouldn't be back until the next day - after we'd gone. Nearly all of us shared stories about standing naked in a shower waiting endlessly for it to hit a temperature that was above hypothermia. It never came. Phone calls to the front desk told us that yes, there would be no hot water for our stay. No apology, no explanation other than Pardon our Dust. Dust that you can't remove without a shower. The very fact that they knew there was no hot water and could not have warned their guests before we stood naked in a shower, hoping against hope - some of us having come straight and dripping sweat from the fitness center is simply laziness, cowardice or outright contempt for the customer. The front desk claimed that the manager Troy was "out of town" and they could not issue any type of refund without his approval. I guess they must not have told the manager that the entire hotel was without hot water for two days? I left my number and still called for days after when nobody would get back to me regarding the issue. On my last call, the front desk woman shrieked at me "YOU'RE NOT GETTING ANY REFUND!" and hung up. To anybody who attended our show at the Tralf Arts Center, we apologize if we stunk like a gym locker during the meet and greet. Blame the Best Western. Because they won't accept any responsibility themselves. Remember that you can always dispute the charge thru your credit card when a manager isn't even willing to speak to you.

We picked this due to location and it was a great choice. Rooms were clean and quiet. The concierge staff is extremely helpful, and very friendly. Some good suggestions for dinner nearby. Kudos to all of them. Dan insures that everyone has a great start to the day by having a variety of healthy and tasty items all morning long in the restaurant. He is a terrific host, and is also a trove of information regarding places to see and how to get there.

It is undergoing outdoor renovation so it's not easy to park. And where you have to park is inconvenient when you're bringing your luggage in and out. But besides that, have no complaints. The front desk staff, Danielle and Ashley, were very welcoming and Dan, the breakfast host, really made you feel like you are important.

My hubby and I stayed at the best western for a one night stay. We came to Buffalo from Toronto to see a Chris Brown concert. The hospitality we received was excellent. There was free parking and breakfast included. The room was very spacious and modern. The breakfast was quite a spread from eggs, sausages, cereals, bagels, fruits and juices. Probably the best breakfast I've had included in a hotel stay. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. The young girl cleaning the rooms was so sweet as we had a quick chat in the elevator about the concert I had attended the night before. When we come back to Buffalo, we will without a doubt come back to this hotel as its the best hotel we've stayed in the USA by far.

Overall the hotel was fine breakfast good. Elevator went down for 2 of the 3 days we were there. Said they needed a part. We were on the 5 th floor. Huge inconvenience. No offer to adjust rate only at the end of 2nd day when we complained again did they even offer to move us. Too late at that point. Then they told us we could use at our own risk. Not terribly professional.

We are frequent guests at BW hotels and this was the nicest stay in a long time. This was our first time at this location and had no idea what to expect. It was just a one night stay to watch a Bison's ball game.The rooms and interior were newly renovated and the staff was friendly and very helpful. The girl at the front desk recommened places to eat and have a drink. Every restuarant/pub was as wonderful as she said it was. We will absolutley return!

Our stay was very good! Rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly. We really appreciate Dan who worked very hard to provide a lovely breakfast. He was very attentive and pleasant to the guests. Thanks Dan!

No difficulty finding hotel Due to outside construction Parking was difficult, But staff fixed the issue, We parked on the road and they fed the meter. Rooms were recently updated, they were clean and up to date. No difficulty with the WF and the beds were very confortable. Breakfast was better than anticipated with ample hot food,juces and fruits. When I mentioned that I had a gluten intolorance, the gratious cook prepared some turkey GM sausages for me. They were very accommodating for all our needs. I would stay there again if the opportunity arose.

The breakfast offerings included home made oatmeal and properly cooked scrambled eggs (not runny, but not cooked dry). You have a real asset there. This was the best breakfast we've had in some 20 motel stays in 2019! Our compliments to the person in the kitchen.

The service was quick and great , the facility is close to everything, downtown , uptown taxi or uber walking distance or biking distance. Just not enough parking. Now you are making me upset. i do not have to write up to 200 characters

Easy free parking right out the front door, extremely pleasant and helpful staff, clean functional rooms - and plenty of restaurants within a short walking distance to choose from. Free internet, breakfast was great, thanks to Dan (Breakfast Chef) who went out of his way to be helpful.

This was a last minute trip to Buffalo for a few personal reasons. The BW was near where I wanted to be. Helpful front desk, good clean quiet room. Hotel overall was quite clean. Business centre at the front. Free parking on the property. The breakfast is not good, but it's the same breakfast as at other BWs. A little pricey, but I guess that's to be expected last minute on a Saturday in July.

Recently renovated, excellent place to stay. Great location close to many good restaurants in a city. Nice, friendly staff. Clean rooms. Comfortable mattress. Everything you need for a good night stay. And you also get amazing hot breakfast and wifi. Kids enjoyed a parrot (Simba) in a lobby.

My friends and I took a trip to Texas (my friend, her daughter, and myself) and we booked this hotel for one night. It was right next to the airport, so the location was good. The price was cheaper than the other places. The staff were awesome and went above and beyond to help us. (brought a shuttle at 1AM when we arrived back) The reason why I am giving it 3 stars is that they double charged. I used my card to pay for the hotel room and my friend used her card to pay for her car to be on the lot. When we did that, they charged my friend for the hotel as well. So, they did two charges of 92 dollars. When we pointed it out to the lady, she did not fix it but instead took other people to their shuttle. Because we were also on our way to the airport with the rest of our group, we could not stay and wait for her to fix it. Then when we got home at 1AM we did not get it fixed then either. We showed her the charges on our phones, as we have a bank app. She said the charge would be removed in a couple of days. We were gone for 6 days and the charge is still not removed.

The hotel was very nice. There is not a thing tht we could complain about. From the reception desk when we arrived until the departure, this hotel satisfied us. It is well located. There are nice restaurants very close by. Would certainly stay here again.

We arrived late and just picked the hotel from the road. The person at the desk wen out of her way to help up get our truck and trailer parked in their small parking lot. They made arrangements so it would not be a problem for us. The entire hotel staff could not have been nicer. Simba, the gray African parrot in the lobby was a really pleasant addition.

We stayed at the BW on the Avenue for four nights. KS room with fridge, nice shower. Toilet and shower separate from the vanity/sink, which is near the entrance. Good price, comfy room, and very quiet. Also, located very centrally - we were able to drive to most of the things we wanted to see within 15 mins. or less. We just happened to be in Buffalo for the weekend of “Taste of Buffalo”, and it was about three blocks from the hotel. There are plenty of restaurants nearby(within walking distance). The breakfast was good - we ate there every morning, which is a first, as hubby is not a fan of most complimentary hotel breakfasts. Good selection - oatmeal, cereal, bagels, English muffins, toast, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, potatoes, some kind of meat (ham and sausage while we were there), as well as yogurt, fruit, and toppings. The gentleman who oversees the breakfast room is named Danny, and he is a jewel - very attentive, keeps the place stocked, and generally makes life good for everyone in the place.

Stayed one night at this hotel. Looks newly renovated & well maintained. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was great with many food options. Only negative is the fitness room cardio equipment which is older & not in the best shape. Would stay there again when back in Buffalo

I stayed here for a week. Five minutes to Buffalo General Hospital. Large, tastefully redecorated, room, kind and helpful staff. A fresh hot breakfast each morning and 24 hour coffee, tea and hot chocolate. The ownerj helped me load my car on the morning of departure.

Here for the night and it's nice. Check in there was only one lady checking us in and a line up. She was great though. Explained to all of us the run down of the place. Their bird at the front desk is so cute. Watch out though she will bite. (More than enough signage stating that) comfy cozy room with lots of restaurants in the area. I would stay here again.

Located just north of downtown Buffalo, the Best Western Avenue provides an exceptional guest experience in a great location. An easy walk to Allen Street and Elmwood Village arts district as well as the medical campus, and about a mile north of downtown and the theater district. Rooms are newly renovated, comfortable and quiet. Staff is always very hospitable and outgoing. Solid comp breakfast as well with a variety of hot and cold choices.

The hotel was in a good location, close to downtown. Didn't have any issues. Hotel was a little outdated on the outside, but they were doing some construction. They had an updated lobby. The hotel was very quiet.

Perfect location.. Only 10 min from Peace Bridge, Lots of good local restaurants within walking distance,. good shopping. Recently renovated, very clean. Comfortable beds. Wonderful breakfast. Have stayed here twice and have not been disappointed. Planning to stay here again.

Wouldn't consider staying anywhere else while in Buffalo. We've never been anywhere else where the staff treats you like family. Rooms and furnishing were recently updated and are quite comfortable. You just can't beat the complimentary breakfast. Everyone goes out of their way to make your stay enjoyable.

Stayed here for 2 nights with 2 children aged 7&9. Great location. 20 Minute walk to downtown along millionaires avenue so plenty to see on the way. Receptionist recommended some good eateries and was really helpful. We chose this hotel because of the free parking and had no issues finding a space although it was rather full. Only downside for us was the breakfast guy was really overworked and couldn't keep up with the demand. Hot food was frequently empty and when refilled people swarmed on it like locusts. They could really use more staff in the morning. Would recommend this hotel for Downtown Buffalo and would stay again if retuning.

The hotel was squeezed in a narrow lot, therefore it was not your traditional feel. It didn't matter as they staff was great as was the value. I would stay here again for sure. Sometimes you don't need the lap of luxury to be comfortable.

The rooms are large and just spotless! Wow! Great service. Great location for business in the city. The bathrooms are also large, towels soft and fluffy and BIG enough. Great place to stay and I will definitely stay there again.

We chose this hotel because of proximity to the Dept of VA Affairs as my husband had an appointment there. The BW website said a crib would be available, which we needed for our baby daughter. We confirmed this via email and phone call before we arrived. We checked in and a $7 crib fee was itemized on our bill. The website does not mention a crib fee. I stated this to the check in clerk and her only remark was, if you don't want the crib I can take it off. We needed a crib so we kept it and paid the charge. Upon entry to our room, the "crib" was a pack n play. The pack n play was dirty, having brownish stains scattered down the side netting. We also requested late checkout and the best they could do to accommodate was an hour later than normal check out time. Our hygiene product samples, such as shampoo and lotion, were also covered in what looked like coffee stains. Not sure if they were new samples or had been there from a previous guest and were not replaced during room cleaning.....

We came from California to see our son as he graduated from University at Buffalo. This hotel is in a great location, very walkable downtown with lots of restaurants just a stones throw. The hotel is undergoing renovations but we never heard a noise. Our room is so nice. Brand new everything in our rooms and a beautiful (although small) bathroom. Seriously, it's very nice. All the staff we've met are super nice - every one of them. But a special shoutout to DANNY who made our breakfast (complimentary, by the way) experience very nice. Just a very nice guy who was going a GREAT job. If we ever come back to Buffalo, this will be our go-to hotel in the downtown area. Two thumbs up for this hotel and its staff.

Place is very easy to locate, nice and safe. There is many parking spaces. The front desk is very helpful and kind. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The bathroom is clean and nicely set up. The TV is easy to use. Décor is very pretty. So many Restaurants and bars in walking distance. The bird in the lobby is so nice. The elevators are extremely interesting! Breakfast was clean and many items to choose from. If you need anything the gentleman working is right there for you. Excellent hotel.

In case you might be unfamiliar with the term "silk stocking avenue," it references the area in which wealthy people once lived. Today this area still sports an eclectic collection of prized mansions lovingly cared for over the decades. In the midst of this is an elegant hotel with first rate staff, rooms of pure class and modern, and location-location-location for easy walking and dining. The price--very modest. Check it out and then be sure to check in.

BED WAS SO COMFORTABLE!!! I would buy that mattress for home!! It must have been a brand new mattress, as the room was just remodeled. Have stayed here over 40 nights in last 10 years. They have recently remodeled most of the rooms. Remodeled rooms are very nice. Parking is tight but free for hotel guest. Free breakfast is good. Simba the parrot, the property's lobby mascot is a friendly face every time I stay here.

In general a nice hotel in a good location. But bring your own pillow, the pillows they have is very uncomfortable way to high and hard. Both me and my wife had neck pain the day after. We asked if they had other types of pillows but no luck. Sad because we never had this experience in a BW before.

Checked in for 1 night. The front desk woman was extremely nice and friendly! Suggested a couple places to go, which were walking distance. the place was very clean and the rooms were great! breakfast chef was awesome - very tentative to every guest! Offered to make waffles and deliver for a family!! The morning desk woman was very nice as well, just didn't have a chance to talk much to her. Would absolutely stay again and recommend!

The hotel is in a great part of town convenient, and easily accessible. I would gladly return to this property again. I felt safe, the parking lot was well lit, and the room was very up to date! I use to be a General Manager of Holiday Inn, and attempted to book at their facility just down the street. The customer service there wasn't nice so I decided to stay at Best Western... 1st time I've ever stayed at Best Western and I will be staying with them in the future. Give this property a try!

I found this hotel on line.. and I was impressed by the reviews. my family ended up reserving the room for our 2 day trip to Buffalo. We arrived and the front desk clerk Danielle was truly amazing. Everything was so easy and quick . The staff was friendly and very helpful. Our room was spacious and clean . I will definately stay here whenever we return to Buffalo.

Our room was very nice. The hotel and the room looked new, fresh and clean. The beds were amazingly comfortable. All the hotel staff from the registration person to the cleaning staff were very friendly and helpful.

Came for one night for the Broadway show. Very nice and clean. The sleeping was quite and comfortable. Good noise isolation, despite the hotel was full we didn't hear anything . The Internet worked good. Breakfast also was good enough. Recommended.

Interior remodeling being done on our stay but, had no impact on our stay. Exterior needs work and parking is an issue with tight, limited space. Staff very friendly and helpful. check in and check out simple and fast. Breakfast was plentiful with basic, limited, selections in a casual area of suitable seating. Warmer friendly feeling upon arrival to departure.

I recently travelled with a large group of high school and middle school students (38 people in total). Troy and his staff took great care of us during our two night stay. It was very easy reserving the such a large number of rooms (we booked 20). Troy was very understanding when the number of participants changed (it changed almost daily in the weeks leading up to the trip). He even helped me find two local restaurants, both very close to the hotel, that could serve such a large group, even calling to inquire on my behalf! I felt like family. The type of attention to detail and the genuine consideration Troy and his staff have is unheard of these days. I could tell they wanted the youth to feel safe and enjoy their time. If I find myself in Buffalo again, I will certainly stay here again!

My husband and I took our daughter to see Cats at Shea's and were very pleased with our stay at Best Western - On the Avenue. Located just off 33 West from the NYS Thruway, it was very easy to find. We arrived around 12:00 and were immediately checked in to our room on the 5th floor. I could tell this was the remodeled section of the hotel that I had been reading about. Our room was spacious and nicely furnished. We took an Uber to the theater, which would have been easy to walk to had it not been so cold! After the play and dinner we were ready to relax in the comfy beds for the night. I couldn't believe the next morning how quiet it was - we couldn't really hear any traffic noise and definitely did not hear anything from our neighbors or in the hallway. We enjoyed the free breakfast the next day and the complimentary newspaper left outside our door as we headed out for the drive home. We would definitely chose this hotel again upon a return visit to Buffalo.

Located 2 miles from the Keybank Centre which my wife and I walked to the Sabres game. This recently renovated hotel was immaculate, the service was great and the hot or cold breakfast included was as good as most restaurants. The hotel greeter, Simba, a 20 year old parrot sits atop the front desk computer monitor and greeted us upon arrival.

Helpful staff, fast check in. Very clean hotel, Nice breakfast. Less then a mile to Shea's theater. Cant think of anything bad to say about this hotel. We have stayed here a couple of times this year.

Great location, close to many amenities, museums,finest restaurants. Clean newly renovated comfortable room. Good included breakfast with sausages,eggs , pancakes etc. ... What else you need? And they have a real parrot at reception saying: "Hello"to you.

Everything was great. Only one fly in the ointment. There is inadequate parking when hotel is full up. Returned from the concert only to find NO PARKING available. I talked to the desk clerk. She said there was nothing they could do, and that upper management was aware of the issue. I was told I could park our car across the street at a professional building, but they could not guarantee its safety from vandals or from it being ticketed or towed. They did say that the hotel would pay for the ticket, if one was issued. I feel that there should be some kind of notice or warning from the hotel, making guests aware of this potential problem.

Had a one night stay after visiting the Anchor Bar - very close by and then taking in the Sabres game at the Keybank Center. Hotel has recently been remodeled and main areas and guest room are beautiful. Breakfast area was large and clean. Food was good and plentiful and the chef was very friendly!!

They upgraded us from a room with two queen beds to a room with one king bed because we did not need two beds and we had the most comfortable bed we have ever had in a hotel. The hotel staff is incredibly nice and accommodating and even gave us a late check-in. The lobby is small but cozy and they have a squawky but fun surprise guest living in there waiting to greet you when you come in. The elevator is really neat so make sure to pay attention to the back wall if you get to use it. We did not have any issues finding parking, but the girl checking us in still asked to make sure we had a spot. Great hotel, and we will definitely stay there again if we find ourselves back in Buffalo.

We decided to go here for a boys weekend. Decent rooms, good rates, good continental breakfast and close to sabres and bills Games. Rooms quiet and clean. Friendly staff as well. Would definitely return here.

We stayed at this hotel because it is close to the medical college. The room was clean, quiet and nicely decorated. There was ample parking on site. The wifi worked well and the fitness room was clean and well equipped. We enjoyed the wide selection of choices at the breakfast buffet and everything was fresh. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The manager gave us a personal recommendation for dinner, which was perfect for us. It was a short walk away, which was much appreciated after our long drive. I really appreciated the later checkout time as I was able to use the fitness room and have a leisurely breakfast before heading to a museum in the afternoon . I would definitely stay here again!

My most recent stay was a very stressful time for me and the hotel provided every need I had, I felt completely safe, the food was excellent, all of the staff was courteous at all times. I will continue to stay here every time I visit Buffalo.

Very good stay. Great location - tons of great restaurants and bars around the corner. Room was well appointed and clean. Desk staff was friendly and the breakfast was better than typical continental fare. Will return.

We arrived at the hotel at approximately 3pm. After check-in we were told that the room was not ready yet but would be available in 5 minuts. Approximately a hour later with the lobby filled with guests waiting for rooms a manager arrived. Subsequently were told that our room would not be available for quite some time but that another room would be available shortly. Approximately 15 minutes later we finally were able to check-in. The hotel had been booked solid the day before and on the day of our stay. One would think that knowing the amount of rooms needed adequate staff would be present. Good management not only solves problems but prevents them from happening. Additionally there is not nearly enough parking space to accomodate quests adequately. The only other parking is metered on the street parking.,

We needed a place to stay near the Children's Hospital. Everything was good, except the cost was more than what we were comfortable spending. Other than that, the room was clean and spacious, the breakfast area was spacious - offering privacy to some extent, and the staff was friendly. We got there after 1am, and found there was really no place to park. The staff let us park right out front.

Very disappointed with this hotel. This hotel is under construction. Limited parking to none. Park on the street with meters. Checked in and then it took over an hour to get our room. Staff was very short and snarky. No sense of being welcomed to the area or even this hotel.

Very nice rooms. Quiet and relaxing.Good location near stores, restaurants and museums. Well lit, safe parking. Earlier check-in and later checkout than most hotels.Their breakfast selection was excellent. Can't go wrong with scrambled eggs and sausage!

We stayed as a group of 9 attending the final Bisons home game. The manager, Troy, introduced himself to us just after check-in and gave us his card in case we had any questions or problems. Very happy with the condition, location and value of the hotel. The staff was top notch. We'll be staying here again for sure.

Great location, friendly staff, a wonderful place to stay. We can't think of a better place to stay. It's conveniently located on Delaware Avenue, walking distamce to a variety of superior restaurants and bars.

This is my second time staying here. Last year renovations were being done, but my visit was fine. This year I was excited at first to see that my room was renovated until I looked down at the floor and saw hairs on the floor on the new bathroom floor. There were no face cloths and the floor was not mopped.the new design for the bathroom is HORRBLE and uncomfortable. As soon as you walk in the room the sink and mirror are right there, a little space for a toilet and next to that a walk-in shower that can accommodate an average sized child not a grown adult. I am average size woman and not obese if I were,I wouldn't be able to fit in the shower or fit in the space were the toilet is.whoever approved this bathroom floor plan needs to go back to the drawing board. The stand in shower has no bars to hang your wash cloths, taking a shower you must stand practically on top of the shower head to get wet and your almost touching the wall because there's no space. there's no shower curtain and the water splashes into the toilet area. The faucet had only hot water. I had to brush my teeth with hot water yuck!!beds were comfortable, the TV guide channels in the directory book were all wrong, buffet was good since they added hot foods. Lastly the charcoal grey interior in the halls makes the hotel too dark and dreary.

Stopped over for one night on our way to Niagara Falls, it's really great, it's on the main street, not far from the highway, great parking too. The staff is friendly and nice, the rooms are big and the beds are comfy. Plus it's close to some nice bar and restaurants in the center of Buffalo.

We asked for and were assigned a newly renovated room which was very nice--large & comfortable with microwave and refrigerator . We were shocked, though, that the brand new VERY large shower had no grab bars. These are essential for safety at ANY age, but especially noticeable for us, as my husband has balance issues. The no door/curtain design allowed water to splash on the outer floor, making it even more perilous. Bars are a quick and inexpensive fix. Noise at night was minimal, but the construction noise in the morning was definitely noticeable and would be annoying if you wanted to sleep late. The desk staff was wonderful--so friendly and helpful. Danielle even called us a cab. Very good free hot breakfast spread with a pleasant, efficient attendant. We would definitely stay here again--hopefully next time with shower bars!

We had a one night stay at this hotel in mid-August 2018. The hotel was under renovation and there was a humid/rancid smell. The rooms were large however with old furniture and devices. They have a caged gray parrot at the entrance which is a pretty sad sight. The breakfast was very, very limited (eggs, butter, cereals and bagles) and the quality was pretty low. However, there are some pretty good restaurants nearby. The trip to the falls was a 30$ uber ride which was ok.

We found this on TripAdvisor, but did not know it was under construction until we arrived. Our room was very nice (410), but our friends had to move after the first night. I think the location is good enough that I would stay there again. The people at the reception desk and in the dining room were very nice and the manager made a point to talk to us. We walked to Tempo, Seabar, Allentown and were only a short drive from Forest Lawn, Albright Knox Art museum, Canal side and the freeway (in and out of the city).

My first room was on the 2nd floor at the end near Delaware Ave. I could see the plastic bag tossed on the landing although the windows were, well, filthy. The mildew smell was overpowering. I called to request another room and was told there were none. Then I noticed the stains on the bed skirt with matching ones on the lampshade. The upholstered chair had seen much better days in the 90's given the worn arms. Walking into the bathroom, I noticed that what must have been a significant hole had been covered with some material and thoughtfully duct-taped. This was on the tile just above the tub. Hmmmm.... I thought. It is time to demand a different room. After the somewhat harried reception clerk "called the general manager," I was given a pleasant, newer room on the same floor and very satisfied. I blame the management/owner, not the desk clerk. Why try to slip that kind of room by? Three stars because it's the average of the two rooms. (One last side note, they should consider moving out that poor parrot in its meager cage from the lobby into a pleasant home.)

This was our last stay on our 2 week trip out East. We stayed here as we were going to see the Falls. Wonderful updates to this hotel. We were in a newly renovated room which was beautiful. It had a wonderful breakfast and was a short drive to the Falls. Very nice and helpful Staff.

Best Western Buffalo was easy to find. Had free off street parking and wi fi. Staff very professional and helpful. Close to down town Buffalo sights that we wanted to see like the Naval ships and a History harbour cruise among the silos. .

When you tell people you're going to Buffalo instead of, say, Columbus, OH, or Wilmington, DE, or any one of a number of more traditional sexy destinations across this great land, you can get some quizzical looks from folks. But what they don't know is that Buffalo is happening and the Avenue is where it is at. When you're staying in Buffalo, make sure to stay On The Avenue—Delaware Avenue, for those new to the scene. Hands down, it's the sexiest address in the Nickel City. Great service!

The staff are all very friendly, including Troy, the manager. The rooms are simply laid out but the amenities are what you would expect in a more expensive hotel. Staff are helpful with recommendations as to what to do and how to get there and Simba, their pet parrot (is he a parrot?) adds a bit of distinctiveness. The breakfast is always good. We always stay here when in Buffalo.

This place was very clean. Having rode our motorcycles in from Ohio, I felt the parking lot was very secure and well lit. Troy and his staff were great hosts and very knowledgeable about the area. Niagara Falls is a 30 minute ride away and there were many places to walk to nearby in Buffalo.

The hotel says that check in time is 2:00 p.m. We showed up at nearly 4:30 and our room was not ready. We had to wait another 15 minutes to get into it. No offer of any type of discount for our inconvenience. The room itself was actually nice. It was clean and apparently newly renovated. No issues at all really. Internet and TV worked just fine. Breakfast was another story: Quality of food was not very exciting to be kind. It was only 8:30 a.m. but there was only one banana out and it was so over ripe that nobody took it. If the room was less expensive it would have been a good deal. But I expected better from a big name like Best Western.

Room was clean and updated. When we checked in we were greeted by Kamisha! She was warm, friendly and extremely helpful. Upon arriving back later that night the young woman at the desk was just as welcoming! Can't say enough good things about the staff at this hotel! Will definitely come back!

This is a simple friendly family run motel, The staff are professional and efficient. This is my second visit and I look forward to coming back again. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I suggest asking for a non smoking floor and a refurbished room. The buffet breakfast is simple but adequate. Its an easy walk into the centre of town and to some great restaurants.

This hotel has been renewed with fresh style and amenities. The room was roomy as was the shower. We happened to be in town for the Annual Allentown Art Festival and this location was perfect for roaming around and getting a bite to eat at all the nearby good restaurants.

Remodeled room was nice and clean. Front desk clerks were very helpful and friendly. Was there for only one night, but would definitely stay if we had other plans in the area. Just the usual continental breakfast,(Nothing special) Reasonable rates. Was headed to Philly for a Rugby tournament and this hotel was exceptional in all aspects compared to the Sheraton in Philly.

I am absolutely sick this morning from sleeping in a smoke-filled room on the third floor where three rooms are designated as “smoking rooms”. Our room is a non-smoking room, but the second-hand smoke from the hallway drifted in anyway. It's been a long time since I've been exposed to this much cigarette smoke, and now I know that I need to request a non-smoking room on a non-smoking Floor.

We booked this location for some time to explore around Buffalo. The room we were given was recently remodeled and very clean. Another highlight of this location was the mural painted on the wall as the elevator goes up. There is also a grey parrot in the lobby that was loud and a delight to interact with.

This was out second time staying at the Best Western on the Avenue. The recent upgrades to the hotel are great! We really appreciated the super helpful staff--always smiling. We love the location and will be back again this summer.

We visit Buffalo several times a year to see family, and this particular Best Western is within walking distance of two family members, so the location is perfect for us. We are greeted in a friendly manner by all staff, not just the person behind the counter. The breakfast was upgraded in the past year to include more hot items. Most if not all of the rooms on the 5th floor have now been upgraded, and, at the time this review was written, workers were on the fourth floor upgrading those rooms. We arrived on a Friday afternoon and left Monday morning, and were never disturbed by construction noise. Rooms are clean, and the upgraded rooms are very nicely done. The location, in the Allentown neighborhood, gives you the choice of many restaurants, from casual to elegant, within a five minute walk from the hotel. We will always stay here when we come to Buffalo.

This will be my first choice for future visits to Buffalo. I was given a comfortable, quiet, newly renovated room on the 5th floor. This hotel is the perfect location - walking distance to theatre district, wonderful restaurants, parks, Allentown, or just enjoy walking the neighborhoods admiring the wonderful architecture & historic sites. Or catch a local bus or Lyft to museums, attractions, lakes, parks. The staff was so friendly & helpful. A yummy breakfast offered a generous selection for all appetites & diets.

Walking distance to Allentown; only a $7 Uber ride to other areas in the city. Staff was very friendly. Room didn't have a mini fridge or microwave and could use some updating. The lobby was nicely updated and the bird was cute. Breakfast was alright, but was a nice selection. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. would recommend to others

I will not stay anywhere else when i come up from NYC. the staff is amazing and the atmosphere is comfortable as the staff treats you as if you are a close friend. the breakfast is always served early and the display is also to high standards

First, I chose this hotel for the 2p check in and the decent reviews it got. I was wrong on both. I arrived around 3p. My room was not ready. I needed to be at a wedding around 415p, just a 1.5 miles away. I asked if they had another room, they did not. They stated that it would be about 15 minutes. Wrong. At 330p, I went up to the room and stood outside until the cleaning lady saw me and realized I needed to get into the room. She then said I am sorry, that she did not know the room was needed. She apologize profusely. It was not her fault. So after getting into a nasty room, I got ready and went to the wedding. On my return, I spoke to a gentleman at the front desk claiming to be the general manager. I told him about the situation. All I got was an, "I am sorry". He also stated that he was surprised that they did not offer for me to get ready in some back room. Umm... no! I paid you money, I want my room, and I was not early, I arrived an hour past check in time. No excuses. He also stated that he would buy me a coffee in the a.m. How does that make up for the COMPLETE inconvenience that I went through. Now, to the room..... I accidentally booked a smoking room. That made the room nasty, but the cobwebs hanging down, the dust and nasty grim in the corners, the peeling wallpaper all made it that much worse. I would NEVER stay here again. I feel that it is not run very well and it is run down. I would say a positive is that for the most part, those that I had contact with were friendly. I also know that the management is going to comment and state that they always strive for greatness and they are sorry for my inconvenient stay, however I do not think that is true. Instead of taking the time to write a response, use that time wisely and train staff not to extend room check out dates to 2p when you have a booked hotel the next day and the time to deep clean the rooms.

The staff was super friendly, the hotel was nice and in a convenient location. The only downside was the parking situation, the parking lot is small and if the hotel is heavily occupied you may not get a spot. Otherwise the stay was wonderful, the facilities are nice and everything was very modern. I'd definitely stay there again when in town.

We came for a swim meet and our stay was excellent! The newly remodeled rooms were nice and clean, the bed was very comfortable and the staff was so friendly. I would definitely stay here again. they are pretty well priced. this hotel also had parking!

We stay here every year for our wedding anniversary and St Patricks weekend. Always nice clean and friendly. I would definitely recommend this hitel. Pricing is right and the right ammenities. Over all thank you Best Western for another nice stay.

Stayed here for two days while in Buffalo and the staff was just as friendly as the first time I stayed here. The hotel is in great shape and they're doing full gut job renovations - they obviously take pride in giving the best at Best Western. Looking forward to another stay there to see what it all looks like when it's completed. The one thing I wish they would improve at this hotel - the parking. There isn't a whole lot of space and it did easily cause some issues for some.

We spent two nights for the World Juniors and any bad reviews you read are just people finding the littlest things to complain about. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was a good size with a mini fridge, the bed was comfortable and the pillows were pretty good too. A quick taxi ride to restaurants and of course the Key Bank Center. Great hotel with a great price.

Our stay at the Best Western was very comfortable and convenient. The staff was extremely friendly and made extending our stay easy. This was located within walking distance of many restaurants and bars as well as a quick car ride to Key Bank Center. The decor of the Best Western is different than what I remember from previous years. Much more modern and cozy.

There is nothing but the Best at Best Western Hotels. Dawn and Danielle, were most helpful and courteous. They went out of their way to please us. The breakfast food was delicious. Even had a lady making eggs the way you wish. Quite a nice selection of food. Our room was on the 5th floor and had a great view of the city. The room was clean and the bed was soooo comfortable. The hotel has all your basic ammenities including parking which is a nice add on for downtown Buffalo. The breakfast selection was slim but waffles, coffee and cereal were avaialble. Coffee and hot chocolate at all times was a nice touch along with keurig machines in the room.

Easily accessible hotel in a rather beautiful part of town. Really enjoyed strolling the neighbourhood and admiring the architecture. Check in was easy. Room was typical of most BWs, spacious enough. Clean on the surface but needs a deep clean; dust in the corners, general grime from wear and tear. What surprised me most was the quietness of the hotel. It was fully booked for a Saturday night, with plenty of eager tailgaters, but the halls were silent. Enjoyed a good night sleep in a comfortable bed. Breakfast was nothing special, but included in the price. Would prefer a wider variety that is competitive with other chains that offer a hot breakfast. The stay was decent, the parking was free and the rate was fair. If returning to see another game in the Buffalo area, wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

The comfort of being at home combined with excellent service and accommodations this is my favorite place to be whenever I'm in the Buffalo. The entire staff is always very friendly and respectful hands down the best place I've ever experienced such service.

We traveled from Pittsburgh-Buffalo looking for a hotel that would be close in walking distance to bars and restaurants, and not far from the arena. The Best Western staff was warm and welcoming, and Troy, the manager was on site to greet us. You could tell that he wanted us to have a great experience at the hotel and was sure to make our stay memorable. The hotel was recently renovated with new furniture and the beds are super cozy! I recommend this hotel if you want to be close to everything (not just sport venues).

Grateful for the warn and friendly stay during a critical time of being in the area due to a family medical emergency which required staying in Buffalo a month and a half. The staff was helpful, supportive, and extended a professional and extremely courteous connection during this emotional experience. I remain ever grateful and would most certainly visit again, under different circumstances.

We went to Buffalo to shop and attend a Patriots @ Bills football game. Location was very convenient to everything and parking was free. The room was large, clean and quiet. I even had a whirlpool tub in the bedroom which unfortunately we didn't have a chance to use. Staff were pleasant, friendly and accommodating. Excellent overnight experience.

I had forgotten my iPad in the room , the maid found it and immediately took it to the front desk who then called my cell phone to advise me. I was only 10 min away from the hotel. I was on my way home which is. 2 hr drive and across the boarder. So congrats Best Western for haveing such great staff.

We stayed for a night while visiting a sick relative. The room was clean and comfortable. The hot tub was relaxing! I slept very well. And in the morning, it was so nice to come down to breakfast already made! Oh, and the coffee was excellent. I would highly recommend.

This hotel was staffed by lovely people, but it not look or feel clean. One lamp in the whole room, old wallpaper (slightly stained). The TV's don't accept HDMI connection - why? My kids couldn't watch the movies we brought. The heater broke on the second night when it was 20 degrees out and we didn't realize until morning when it was just blowing cold air. The toilet barely flushed unless you pushed it as hard as possible and held throughout the entire flush. The water in the shower was either ice cold or scalding hot. No thanks!

LOVED our stay at this Best Western. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was carb heavy, but very clean and cozy environment. The room was also clean and cozy. The parking attendant even went back outside in the cold weather to get our license plate number for the check-in paperwork. My wife and I stayed at the Best Western on the Avenue for a short two night get-away. We had never been to Buffalo, so we didn't know what to expect. Our experience was great. From the housekeeping to the front desk, the staff was very friendly and very accommodating. Our room was spacious and very clean. The pricing was very reasonable. The location of the hotel was very close to trendy restaurants and the downtown area. Should we make a trip back to Buffalo, we will definitely stay at the Best Western on he Avenue.

Feel free to stay here. That bed was so comfortable that I almost missed breakfast, which was beyond my expectations. Add to that the wonderful staff (Kemisha comes to mind) and the heated lights in the bathroom, I would definitely stay here again if given the opportunity.

This place is everything I expect in a best western. The hotel is clean, staff was beyond friendly, and the breakfast was basic but good. It's nice to have off street parking in the city, and there's a security guard in the parking lot after dark. African Grey Parrot in the lobby is a neat touch too. Keep up the good work!

The Best Western on the avenue met all our needs, clean, comfortable and the staff was helpful. The nearby restaurant had fantastic ribs. We visited a number of architecturally significant buildings in Buffalo and had a very good experience at all of them.

This hotel was extremely clean, great down town location, and the staff (All staff) were amazing and helpful. Everyone was able to assist with any needs, and had information on local amenities. Parking included is a great addition down town.

The staff at this hotel went above and beyond to help make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The breakfast attendant took pride in 'kitchen' and made sure everything was stocked and fresh. The receptionist helped with directions for area sightseeing. The room we stayed in was newly remodeled with large flat screen, modern furnishings and comfortable beds.

My wife and I used this hotel as a base for two nights whilst visiting Niagara and Youngstown - yes, we could have been closer to both, but online this looked a decent hotel in a decent location. And it is!! Nicely located close to all sorts of restaurants, bars, etc, and within easy reach of roads heading north, with ample free parking - why wouldn't you stay here? I note earlier reviewers have mentioned stale rooms and decor - I can only say that we must have had one of the refurbished rooms as there was nothing at all that wasn't 100% spot on in our room. The bed was super-comfortable, the pillows soft but firm (if you know what I mean) and the temperature control was easy and effective. In truth, there wasn't much of a view (looking down the road, northwards) but we only used the room to sleep in and our eyes were closed!! The breakfasts, whilst self-serve and not including anything cooked (apart from cold hard boiled eggs, and waffles, bagels and toast you prepare yourself) were excellent and there was enough choice to suit 99% of tastes. There was plentiful coffee, tea, hot chaocolate and hot water, and juices. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and very informative - when asked about our plans in the area, the front desk staff gave plenty of tips on what we'd chosen to do. In the reception area there is also a parrot (called, strangely, Simba - simba being the swahili word for "lion") who is sometimes allowed out of his cage to wander around behind the reception desk, and he's agreat way to lose a few minutes! Overall, an excellent hotel with excellent staff in an excellent location. Recommended? Absolutely. Will I return? Next time I'm in Buffalo, for sure!!

The hotel is located close to the down town area and in a vibrant area of Buffalo. I would like to believe that the room was clean, however the hotel decor, linens and furniture was old and tired, and really needs to be changed and updated.

My husband and I were in Buffalo overnight for a show. We found this Best Western to be clean, and all of the staff very helpful and friendly. Our room had just what we needed and was clean and comfortable. Truly a good value!

Everything was really nice and the staff were very friendly. Any problems were looked after right away. Comfortable bed...not so much the pillow. We would have loved to have the opportunity to swim but enjoyed our stay just the same. We would definitely stay here again!

This place is ok if you are looking for just a place where you can rest after seeing some tourist attractions it's close to everything shops restaurants and offers transportation as well. At niagra falls you can find lots of shops where you can buy souvenirs and some fast food as well.

Well done rooms, clean, easy to get to, parking lot is tight but worked out, and area of town is nice. I would stay in this hotel again in the future. Breakfast options were fine as well. Close by 24 hr drugstore as well.

This is a very well-situated hotel on Delaware Avenue with plenty of places within walking distance. The rooms are a little worn, but are well-kept and a good value. Staff is polite, friendly, and professional. Simba the parrot hangs out in the lobby, a fun touch. There is an elevator for all floors and parking lot and entrances appear to have good security. The breakfast offerings are good with several gluten free options.

My experience was okay. The bed was not comfortable, the lighting in the room was rather poor and the phones in the room did not work. But the hotel location is good because there are quite a number of good locations to visit and a good number of decent restaurants.

I love staying at Best Westerns and this specific one is very nice with polite staff. The only things it lacked was airport shuttle and a full breakfast, I have stayed at other Best Westerns in bigger cities that have had theses amenities at the same price I paid for this stay.

We stayed here several years ago but I didn't review it at that time. We found that it was more affordable than hotels further downtown. We planned to go to a ballgame & knew that the Metro train could get us down there with just a short walk to the station. It had a comfortable room & a decent breakfast included. If we plan to do another trip to Buffalo & need a reasonably priced central hotel, we will not hesitate to stay here again.

In town with my daughter for Move in day for Buffalo State students. We normally stay at the Holiday Inn, one block up, but it is closed for renovations. I was very pleased with the Best Western. Everyone at the front desk was pleasant and helpful. The room was neat and beds comfortable. Even though the hotel is dated, its neat and clean. The free breakfast was good and appreciated since there are no nearby restaurants nearby for breakfast. I enjoyed talking with staff member name Danita. She was very friendly and accommodating. Simba the talking bird was a great attraction as you enter the lobby. I will definitely stay at this hotel again.

I booked this hotel after using the P.O.S. Best Western iOS app to read details of their room types. I made a reservation for a two room suite. I checked in and found that I was not in a two room suite. I returned to the front desk and learned that they have NO two room suites at all. The iOS app listed two different types of two room suites when I was searching for my room selection. A discussion with the general manager on the day after check-in revealed that they haven't had a two room suite in more than seventeen years. This property is old, but it is well kept and very clean. The breakfast was "okay," though I usually see better at most Best Western properties. The most disturbing thing about this property: There is not even one space for handicap parking. I'm not even sure how this is possible in this day and age, but they seriously had not even one space for handicapped patrons. At least I was able to discuss the issues (including no handicap parking) with the G.M. I was also able to inform the G.M. that the iOS Best Western app is a true p.o.s. and is the worst (by far!) of 12 hotel apps I use.

The hotel is a good value. The location close to restaurants and the free parking make this hotel a good place to stay when you visit Buffalo. I liked the elevator with the view, an original touch. Simba the parrot is an adorable addition to the friendliness of the hotel.

We only stayed 1 night, but it was nice hotel. Located downtown not too far from the waterfront, restaurants and the naval museum. The lovely old homes on Delaware Ave are a definite must see. Hotel is spacious, the room was fantastic. We had some issues connecting to the wifi, but someone came right up to help remedy the situation. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The breakfast set up was comfortable and welcoming. I was pleasantly surprised to see almond milk as an option - THANK YOU for this !!! We are never able to find non dairy options at hotel breakfasts, this was amazing. They had a little of everything to eat - it was great.

After an unfortunate stint at another hotel, I was able to get a last minute room at Best Western due to the incredible help of one of the staff members, Danielle. She ensured that I was able to get a room and even helped to extend my stay an extra night. In regard to the hotel, it is extremely clean and well-located in a happening area of downtown Buffalo. The room itself was also very clean and orderly with a number of amenities included (such as free Wifi and breakfast)! Overall, I would strongly recommend this hotel.

The best of 30 or so BW's I have stayed at in my career. Privately owned and operated by a family for about 25 years and they treat their guests like family. I have been staying there off and on through 3 major renovations for about 25 years; it is gorgeous now and among the best values I get in lodging. It's a sharp place and is right next to everything I love in in a rapidly emerging Buffalo.

We recently spent 2 nights (Sat-Sun) at this well located mid-town hotel situated in the Allentown area of Buffalo with many nearby restaurants and neighborhood bars. The front desk staff were all friendly and helpful and their "greeter" Simba was a nice touch. While the room was clean with comfortable beds, it showed it's age. The hotel is definitely in need of renovations especially to bring it more in line with the higher end properties having located into that area.

Very nice place, centrally located, friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms and Lobby. Easy Parking Location is great, close to downtown, close to Anchor Bar (Birthplace of the Buffalo Wings) Rooms are Insulated, no traffic noise, nice beds.

We stayed at Best Western before, was very please. Therefore we chose BW again. Good place with breakfast provided. in the heart of Buffalo and only about 30' to the Falls as well as easy access to Canada side. 20' to the air port. The staffs were extremely nice and helpful, it's an A++++. -Minor things: no in-room refrigerator, decoration and room conditions are a bit dated.

The hotel had been renovated last year and we were lucky enough to get a new , boutique type room. I requested the same room for this year. Very beautiful and chic. The front deck is welcoming and accommodating. Dawn is wonderful. Also the little , young, girl , who takes care of the breakfast room is amazing. Both ladies are an asset to this hotel.

Everyone at this hotel was friendly, helpful, and efficient. They could not have been better. The location was perfect for my group. The only thing keeping this from being a rave review was the quality of the continental breakfast. It is difficult for a breakfast bar to be good but it could have been better. We went across the street to Tim Horton's to get coffee.

First, I want to say that employee Denita should be runningthe place. Friendly, helpful and clearly competent at all aspects of the hotel. If undercover boss reads this then you have a gem in Denita and make her a manager. She may be small and petite but she has an infectious smile and personality. The hotel was very clean, large rooms, and good breakfast. Would like to see some hot foods like eggs and bacon like other Best Western's. This was the first that didnt offer that hot food but what was there gave you a full belly. Loved the whirlpool n the suite. Nice way to end the day with a body soak. Bed was really comfortable.

I like this hotel. This is the second time I stayed. It is close to Buffalo State college. It included wifi, parking and breakfast which is rare now a days . Prices are somewhat reasonable and no hidden cost.

Best Western on Delaware Avenue, Buffalo, NY. Friendly, courteous, going out of their way to ensure the best for hotel guests. The hotel is convenient for me and will definitely visit again in 2017. Room very clean, beds comfortable; great breakfast in the a.m. Once again, very friendly staff on duty in the breakfast room.

The hotel is a convenient location to area bars and restaurants and the knox-albright museum. There was a large assortment of food items at the free breakfast and the breakfast staff was very attentive and all items were stocked.

I have stayed at this hotel six times and each time my experience is great. While I have not been there in a year, it looked like the corridors had fresh carpeting and there was a major renovation of the breakfast room. I love the new shower with bench seating. Having the sink outside the shower/commode room would allow two people to get themselves ready in the morning without tripping over each other. The WiFi was fast and I never experienced service difficulties. The next time I need to stay in downtown Buffalo, I will be back!

Rooms was what I. paid for. One (1) night. Stay for business.purposes. The. Quality of the guests rooms can improve. Parking was conjested. Need more parking for bigger vehicles (trucks). All of the Guest rooms should have a refrigerator.

Great place to stay. Relaxation at it's finest. Was able to have an early check-in! The jacuzzi was a godsend after a great afternoon/evening of wedding entertainment. Plenty of towels! Many amenities in the room.

We were unable to stay at the hotel we had originally booked at due to circumstances beyond our control and Danielle at the Best Western was so accommodating. We got a room, checked in and she made sure we got all the bonus points and current offers on our Best Western account. We were able to proceed with our plans without a hitch. Thanks you Danielle!!!

We were in town for a wedding, hotel was within a block of the rehearsal dinner and just a block from the wedding venue. Never had to move our car which made the free parking invaluable. Hotel is also just over a mile from the canal area, great place to tour ships and museums. Also not far from many other attractions - hotel staff was very kind and willing to help with directions, suggestions and public transportation questions. Also close to a variety of restaurants - lots of choices. Rooms were clean and beds were very comfortable. No street noises. Nice breakfast area, typical variety of choices. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

We stay at the Best Western on The Avenue because we were in the Allentown Art Festival. I didn't realize how perfectly this hotel was located in relationship to the event. It could not have been in a better location. We were able to stay here and go back and forth to my art booth over the weekend. The hotel itself was nice, clean and the staff was very helpful. There was breakfast every morning which was also helpful. The room itself was clean but a little out dated, but it really didn't matter to me. I will stay here again if I do the Allentown Art Festival.

Please allow for more than one square below because I had family and friends stay in 7 rooms total. The staff, the amenities all receive a customer plus 1 from me. Every year I look forward to seeing the friends we have made at the Best Western on the Avenue. The sounds of Symba, the parrot, are always a joyful reminder that we will have a good stay.

We were in town for a wedding and wanted somewhere centrally located. Best Western fit the bill. The room was large and very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There are several good restaurants located only a block away on Allen Street. It is a nice long walk down to Canalside, but very doable if you like to walk. The breakfast was limited, but the breakfast area was spotless. We would definitely choose to stay here again.

Perfect for family wedding celebrated near downtown Buffalo and within walking distance. The cost of this hotel is @30% less than other hotels in area and with great service. Close to Allentown shopping and quirky restaurants as well as the TR site or Wilcox Mansion which is a National Park treasure.

Visiting family in Buffalo we stayed near family, but this location was also very convenient to nightlife on Allen and the subway to downtown. Simba the parrot lives in the lobby, and he and the staff are warm and welcoming as you'd expect in The City of Good Neighbors!

Great place great neighborhood love down town Downtown is the place to be, don't like musty smell parking at night rough if you don't park early forget it on weekend . Breakfast was what it should be . It was good

Reception and service staff were pleasant, polite and efficient. Renovations are well done and parking is immediate access to building. Rooms were clean & roomy. Microwave and small fridge available. This is a safe walking area. We walked all the way up Delaware to the Albright-Knox Art Gallery without a problem. Very pleasant walk through older area of beautiful old mansions/houses. Tim Hortons across the street for quick breakfast proved an interesting morning adventure with regular goers! Very near Elmwood Avenue where there are a great array of restaurants and bars.

Yesterday my friend and I had the good luck to be in the right place at the right time—The Fairmont Copley Plaza in Boston when Joe Fallon, concierge, was on duty. We asked about the 10AM guided tour of the hotel. Joe ducked behind the paneled wall door and reappeared with his iPad loaded with photos. In the next 45 minutes, we learned the history of The Copley Plaza hotel built in 1912 on the original site of the Museum of Fine Arts to today's preservation (the mosaic floor tiles) and modernization (air conditioning). In addition to being historian for the hotel, Joe is caretaker of Catie Copley—the hotel's famous 15-year-old black lab. Thanks Joe for making our stay a memorable one!

Excellent stay. They Offered a discount to us because my sister is a Roswell Cancer patient! Love the staff, beds, breakfast! Very friendly housekeeper and breakfast lady too! Will definitely stay again!

After driving 12 hrs Best Western is always there for us,, and close to the highways,, the beds were crisp and clean,, lots of reno;s,, we were on the road for 6 nights and best western was there for 5 of them,, thanks..

The hotel is in an excellent location, great staff, and the rooms are nice; however, unless you are a heavy sleeper, do not get a room by the elevator and vending machines. The staff gave excellent suggestions of where to visit and eat. The support staff was excellent. Breakfast was good, could use a better selection of eggs.

We stayed at the Best Western on the Avenue for a girls night out and attended a concert. The staff was super helpful with getting us a taxi and giving us recommendations for restaurants, they even helped us find a place to eat when we returned to the Hotel after the concert. Room was nice and the bed was comfortable.

Rooms need to be updated, not clean, someone else's hair I'm the shower, towels had someone else's eye makeup stained on them. Laundry gave us 2 towels for 2 people that needed to take and evening and morning shower, them wouldnt give us 4 more, would only allow 2?? Breakfast food was sub par, bagels, cereal and toast. Yogurt and pop tarts from Aldi? I didn't know that was allowed. Coffee was bad. Lobby and staff were ok.

This hotel is situated close to the Peace Bridge and all the downtown attractions. It's just a short walk to the Public Transit and there is a Tim Horton's across the street. On-site Parking is free, but limited. However, the hotel has alternative free parking available at a nearby business. The rooms have free wi-fi and are clean with a tv and clock radio, but no safe. I found the light standards in their parking lights shine right into the rooms. The hotel does not have curtains to block out the light they just have mesh curtains.

The staff is courteous. Rooms are comfortable. Breakfast is great. All f this at an affordable rate. Express checkout makes leaving hassle-free. The room includes wireless internet and cable. Although, we had activities planned during our stay in Buffalo, I would have been completely okay with hanging out in my hotel room! That is just how comfortable and relaxing the experience was. The hotel is located in a nice part of Buffalo with convenient stores within walking distance. This is my hotel for all overnights in Buffalo! Overall, you won't be disappointed!

This hotel had a very friendly staff from beginning to end of our stay. It had a vintage feel to me it but was very modern as well. The elevator was very safe and high tech- you can only go to your floor/ice machine floor/lobby with your key otherwise the elevator won't go. Additionally, the lights go off when the elevator door closes so you don't actually know what other floors the elevator is going to- nice for that added safety if you were travelling alone. Neighbourhood seems very safe and the building is secure. A bit of a walk to downtown, but we did it with no issues. The halls and lobby were modern but the rooms felt a bit outdated. The bathroom seemed a bit dingy and one of our towels actually was dirty when we went to use it. The room was very warm, we didn't have the heat on for our duration and even had to turn on the ac at night just to cool it down (unusual to have to turn on the ac in march). There was a mini fridge provided which was nice, bed was comfy, tv was modern and room was clean. The remote was actually in a special spot to verify that it is sanitized which gave peace of mind. Great selection at the breakfast and a nice room to enjoy it in. Nice hotel and loved the decor. Would recommend this to a friend and would stay here again should I come back to buffalo again.

Though we did receive some friendly service from helpful staff, the majority of the stay was disappointing. The breakfast is pathetic and the "high speed" internet is incredibly slow and even cut out several times. The room was tiny and poorly decorated, the beds were incredibly saggy and uncomfortable, and the door to the bathroom didn't even close completely. I paid close to $300 for a two-night stay that was only worth about half that at best.

We were there for a weekend with friends to watch a sports event at the Keystone Arena. Good clean hotel. Location near resataurants and bars and a short ride to downtown Buffalo. Staff very friendly. Breakfast a nice feature Have stayed there for last 4 years and would recommend it for sure..

Stayed there a couple nights. The Staff was helpful and friendly. The room was clean and well maintained. Convenient location. The bathroom entrance felt narrow, but overall the room was spacious. Overall, not a bad place, especially for the price.

Stayed with friends for a few nights to attend a concert at Canalside. This property was undergoing renovations so it didn't have the greatest atmosphere. Room was pretty typical but staff were very friendly and helpful and the continental bfast was pretty decent. Good location near Allen St bars and restaurants.

The staff is GREAT, but the rate for what you get is not. Also be ready to be eating Aldias items for Breakfast, how cheap can you get? The internet was almost non working, I had worked of the neighbors internet

If you are looking for a clean and comfortable hotel for a reasonable rate, Best Western on the Avenue is an excellent choice. The beds are comfortable and breakfast selections are very good. The staff is very professional and accommodating.

This hotel is near the Roswell Park Cancer Institute where I had surgery, and is the best value among hotels convenient to Roswell. While I hope that I will never have to visit Roswell again, I would stay there if I did.

Stayed here for two nights while in Buffalo for some obligations. The hotel staff was friendly and the hotel was very quiet. The hotel is currently going through some renovations (hopefully the rooms are next) but it was still quiet. Plenty of things to do in the area if you're looking for something to do.

New renovations upgraded the look and feel of the hotel. Artwork is on order and is needed to accent the décor. Breakfast was standard light continental and OK. Falt screen TV's need to have a guide provided as it is annoying to flip channels.

The only positive thing about this hotel is that it's walking distance to the Allentown district. There is nothing else redeeming about this hotel. It is overpriced for the condition of the hotel and amenities provided - there are many better options downtown. The common areas have a musty, old smoky smell and the smell in the room (supposedly non-smoking) was a terrible stale cigarette odor. The rooms are extremely outdated. Mattresses are spongy and uncomfortable, towels are frayed and scratchy, and the shower curtain was disgusting. Basically anything fabric had an appearance and feel that made you not want to touch it. There were stains on the walls and grout in the bathroom was very dirty. We used a towel to clean up some water that had gotten on the carpet, and the towel was dark brown after wiping the carpet gently. A deep clean is long overdue. When we got up to the room, housekeeping was still finishing (at 4pm). The housekeeper actually said that she had only changed bedding on one of the two beds because she thought there was only one couple staying in the room. This is disgusting and indicative of hotel policies that are meant to cut corners and spend as little time and money as possible. Needless to say, we will not be back. For $200/night, there are many better choices in Buffalo.

We just left this hotel and it couldn't have been soon enough. Unfortunately, we required a stop over in Buffalo and had to find a place to sleep. After calling around for a few hours, this was the only place available at midnight so we settled, for $179 ($209 after tax and fees). Once we arrived there was no parking available in the lot...and it's not a good area to park on the street. Our room was very dated, dirty and smelled terrible. Towels are thin, bedding is rough and pillows are basically non existent. Carpet and walls are stained and dirty as was the tub, and peeling wall paper. Felt like I walked into a room from 1985. Having just departed 3 day stay in Manhattan from a rate of only $50 more per night and great accommodations, this place is a joke and should be ashamed to admit they charge over $59 for a room. On a positive, the hallways/corridors were updated and the girl at the front desk was super nice and helpful. But that's the only good thing I can say for the place. Please keep driving if you can help it.

The hotel staff and very rude and refuse to offer refunds under any circumstances. Even 30 days out from the stay and due to a death- the customer service will not refund a stay. AVOID. When asked if they felt if this is the correct treatment for a customer and if it was how they wanted to be treated they refused to answer. It is all about money, not people.

When I am in Buffalo, I would not stay anywhere else but the Best Western on the Avenue. I stay there for business every week, and I truly feel that it is my home away from home. I appreciate the very friendly and helpful staff and the extremely comfortable and attractive room.

Small and cozy. I have stayed at the larger Hotels in Buffalo and was quite surprised at how lovely this stay was. I was there 2 nights and would certainly return to this hotel again when I am visiting in Buffalo

We had two nights at this central hotel. When we arrived they couldn't find out booking and the only room left was the whirlpool suite - result!! The Manager also gave us his parking pass for Bills football game that night - lovely gesture. The lady at breakfast was so friendly too. Yes the decor is a bit dated and work was being undertaken in the lobby but this did not have any effect on our stay. We would. It hesitate to stay again.

Room was quiet and comfortable - decor was OK Lobby was being renovated during our stay which was inconvenient. Staff members were very helpful and professional. Convenient location. Free parking. Breakfast room clean and neat and large. Very good coffee and orange juice and bagels which you don't always find at "free breakfast buffets.

Overall for this trip I was not happy with this Best Western in Buffalo, I travel many times during the year to hotels and this just was depressing to stay there. The carpets were dirty, my room floor itself smelled- they need to vacuum and power wash the rugs in the hotel rooms, the beds were not firm, the choices for Breakfast had not changed from the prior time I stayed there. The Tv's are out dated and broken remotes. Just not my go to hotel when I return to the area. Needs major improvements.

Overall, a "Best Western" level building, although they were in the process of refurbishing the building. However, the staff was great. I have a plug-in electric hybrid, and they reserved a special parking spot for me right next to an electrical outlet!

A very clean hotel, despite ongoing renovations, with friendly, personable staff. It was in a good location and the room was absolutely beautiful and very, very comfortable. We had a wonderful stay and would absolutely go back in a heartbeat.

On my recent stay I found the hotel to be clean ( in the process of an update) the staff very welcoming and the location great. The hotel is located near a 24 hour pharmacy and plenty of restaurants. I enjoyed the free parking and location. The only negative I discovered was one elevator for the entire hotel, perhaps that will change once the update is completed

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and remembered who the guests were and in which room they were staying, which was nice! They also helped us locate attractions to see in the city. And there was free parking, a real plus in a downtown city hotel!

Went with family (several rooms) for a wedding. Elevator broke. Room smelled like smoke. Bathroom and rug in room were dirty. No air conditioning in hallways. Very muggy and hot. Very professional and friendly check in with Theresa. Location was great for us. Great free breakfast available. Newpaper delivered every day. Great express checkout.

We stayed two nights during the Taste of Buffalo. It was a convenient walk to downtown, with lots of restaurants nearby. We had a king whirlpool suite on the top floor which was spacious, clean. They are renovating the hallways which looked awful (bare concrete) but this did not effect our stay. The front desk staff where helpful and friendly. Breakfast was basic - muffins, cereal, oatmeal in packets, english muffins, yogurt, juices, waffle maker etc - but it was convenient. There is a Tim Horton's across the street if you wanted hot food. Overall, it was a decent hotel. I would stay here again.

The room we rented offered wi fi, cable tv that was not high def., bed covered with worn and in a condition that begs the question, "is the comforter and bed surround ever changed or cleaned? ; furniture that is soiled and very used, a very soiled carpet, and an air conditioner that was noisy and vents badly needing cleaning, and a phone that emitted various sounds with the receiver hung up. The bathroom was clean except for the splintered and splashed door by some liquid and not washed off. The beds were comfortable, the breakfast was good with all the usual offerings served in a very clean room, the location was convenient, and the staff was very cordial. this hotel served the purpose, but for providing what would have to be called "the basic experience" the daily charge was in my mind high.

The hotel is in the midst of renovation in the hallways and some guest rooms. We were advised of this when we checked in, but there was no noise or inconvenience in our room. The hotel is well located for getting around in the city. We were even able to take a long walk to Canalside which we really enjoyed. The staff was incredibly pleasant and very helpful. Their recommendations for local restaurants were great. The breakfast is average with waffles being the only hot option.

My partner and I just spend 5 wonderful days getting to know this great city, and this hotel was perfect - location, staff, convenience. We would highly recommend it. The price is right and the rooms clean and comfortable. Even Simba the grey parrrot in the lobby is a delight! Staff were very friendly and helpful, and we felt we were staying with friends by the end of our stay.

we just love this place .Theresa and Lasandra are two of the nicest gals you ever want to meet They make us feel like family everytime we stay there. They make sure we have everything we need. The entire staff is polite. This property is close to roswell cancer center and easy to drive there. iT is in a great location to just about anything you would want.

We only stayed one night but enjoyed it. Our room was clean, neat, and even the remote was sanitized. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The front desk printed out directions for us to a restaurant, the zoo, and the Naval Park. The parrot in the lobby, Simba, also entertained us!

In town for our daughters college graduation and stayed here for two nights. Theresa at the front desk is one of the nicest people you could meet. She is that person, that any hotel would want to have greeting people upon check in. She is really good at what she does and should be commended for it. The hotels location is perfect. Downtown Buffalo is a few blocks away and within walking distance. Allentown is right out the front door and it offers many good restaurants and bars. The hotel itself is nice, a little updating may be needed but all in all it is well kept and clean. The free breakfast is okay. The choices seem a little limited, maybe a few more items need to be added. The room that the breakfast is in, is tucked away in the back corner of the hotel. It makes it you feel a little closed in and not so inviting. This is not a 5 star hotel but it is still a nice place I would definitely stay again.

The staff at the desk and doing housekeeping was very accommodating and wonderful. The hotel was decorated nicely. I loved the local touch in the elevator. The Parrot in the lobby was also a real surprise and something different!

The staff was a great help finding me a room during a busy grad week. They were also very gracious and understanding when they found out I was traveling with a dog. Whats more, the hotel was walking distance to multiple excellent restaurants and entertainment venues. I would eagerly stay here again!

Theresa gets the award for the kindest, easiest to ever work with. I brought 9 students in for a field trip and she did everything she could to make this a great experience. 5 stars to her and the other staff.

The receptionist in this hotel was extremely helpful and welcoming. The room was very nice if a bit quirku. The sink was in the room as was a HUGE bath (you could swim in it) which was a bit strange. The bathroom contained the toilet and a walk in shower. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was not to our taste but was adequate.

Staff were awesome and accommodating! The room (with whirlpool) was lovely, as well. We arrived a little early, and due to our booked room not having been cleaned yet, the hotel receptionist kindly gave us an upgrade that was immediately available. Clean, nicely decorated, and very comfortable (with whirlpool!0. We would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Only stayed one night, but hotel was nice. Clean and friendly staff. Building fit in with area, lobby had a friendly, old fashioned feel. Rooms are basic, but comfortable. Bed wasn't terrible but will definitely need to be replaced soon; had a dip in the middle but slept comfortably. Disappointed a little with breakfast- Best Western usually offers hot food as well, this one does not.

I am actually from Buffalo and my friend and I were going to be out and about downtown and instead of driving all over the city I figured we would just stay at a hotel in Downtown Buffalo. I also had a voucher for Best Western to use. It was a nice hotel, a bit on the older side though. Parking lot was small but I guess that is what you get when one stays downtown. Check in and check out process was seamless. Bed was comfy and so were the pillows!

Really nice hotel the desk clerks are so helpful they should be called Ambassators the service was beyond expectations and the food really good at breakfast the internet was fast and there were two of them so it was easy to get on also not only was coffee and tea available 24 hrs but hot chocolate as well

This is a great location in downtown Buffalo, and a very short walk to 2 great stops - Mothers Restuarant and Fat Bob's bar/pub. The hotel is a great value for the service and quality delieverd, and the staff has always been top-notch there. We have found this to be a great place to stay, and every year we are reminded it was a good choice! Cant go wrong.

Hotel in a good location. Receptionist clerks and As Mgr need volumes of training. Being a high end Best Western Rewards member, was NEVER acknowledged on check in---------upgrade or whatever. As Mgr resolved nothing with feeble drivlle.

We stayed at this hotel for one night while attending the Bruce Springsteen concert. The front desk staff is lovely. Dealt mostly with Theresa and she was terrific - very helpful with directions, restaurant recommendations etc. The room itself was pretty basic - nothing to get excited about but the beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The continental breakfast had an excellent variety of foods and the breakfast room was a good size. The fact that you can get to the First Niagara Centre so easily was the real selling point for us. The metro stop is a five minute walk away on Main St. You can get on there and pay 2 dollars or you can walk up a few blocks to the theatre district and take the metro in the free fare zone. A great deal! Some people I have been reading found the area a little dodgy but I did not feel unsafe at any point. Great hotel if you're in town for a concert or a game.

We stayed the night before an afternoon Buffalo Sabres game. The hotel was fine. I don't go in expecting anything luxurious. The staff at the front desk were great. Room was clean. Free parking for the night and let us leave the car there during the game. I would stay again if the need arises.

We stayed in the renovated room, so I'm certain that it made a difference in our experience. Those rooms are nicely done. Service was top notch. Both ladies at front desk are excellent and friendly. Breakfast was surprisingly generous and wonderful. No skimping here. I would stay here again.

A couple of my friends and I stayed at the Best Western on the avenue in Bufallo, New York for a Buffalo Sabres game and a night on the town. The hotel is located Near the Allentown neighborhood; which is filled with great bars and restaurants (including my favorite restaurant, Gabriellas Gate). The hotel is also a 15 minute walk or 5 minute taxi ride to the dancing bars/clubs looked on Chippewa St. The hotel also offers A very basic complementary breakfast (waffles, toast, bagels, cereal) and WiFi. The ladies at the front desk were also very helpful and calling us a Cab and telling us the best places to eat in the city. Overall, I thought that the rooms were clean, however my only complaint is I thought the hallways were dark and a little dusty. Of them that the hotel is a great value and I would definitely stay there if I visited Buffalo, New York again!
