    « Great Again! »

This was the second time we stayed at best Western's GranTree Inn this year. We came back, because of the great time we had the last time. The entire staff is always friendly and very helpful. We enjoyed the indoor pool and spa. And we love the food and atmosphere at the Club Tavern & Grill.

    4
    « Noisy »

Probably the conference we attended had a lot to do with it. That being said, our first room was on the ground floor next to the atrium and it was so noisy we asked to be moved upstairs. The room was over the pool. That was pretty noisy as well, but they did efficiently close the pool down at 10:00 sharp and it helped. The rooms were a tad bit small and not overly luxurious, but they were clean and had all the requirements needed. Easier to please me than my wife.

    5
    « Trip fun »

Our visit couldn't have been better! The room was one of the best that Best Western has and we were delighted with the wonderful staff, and the adjoining ?club?. Our dinner and breakfast was excellent and more wonderful staff was a delight. Thank you!

    « Quick stop for a night »

Needed a place to stay for a night on our way home. There was a Lightning and Thunder storm that we drove through and it was a nice place to get our from the midst of it. You can tell its an old hotel so updating would be good for this place, but for the age of the hotel the décor was nice.

    4
    « Ride On!! »

On a motorcycle trip :-) to the East Coast. We expect to use Best Western as often as possible. Thus one is motorcycle friendly and that matters to us. Bozenan is a great place in the heart of a great area.

    5
    « Convenient & Comfy »

I stayed for a conference at the location. The meeting rooms were nice, services were excellent and the dining was delicious. I also thought the bed was very comfortable and the location very convenient and close to everything I needed.

    5
    « Friendly & Convenient »

We stayed here with our small dog. The front desk person was friendly, and gave us a first floor room close to the dog walking area, which is in a nice interior courtyard. There is a decent restaurant in the hotel, which was convenient for our late arrival.

    4
    « Great stay »

I stayed here for a conference that had the place fully booked. They did a great job. The room was clean, the staff were great, the restaurant is pretty solid (excellent happy hour), and I enjoyed the pool! I would stay here for work again.

« trip to Bozeman, MT »

My stay was very nice, comfy bed, good pressure in the shower and very quiet at night, but stayed a Wed and Thursday night. I had problems with the Keirig coffee maker, probably operator error, not into technology.

    5
    « MTEA conference »

Rooms were up to date, clean and very comfortable. The meals that were provided were excellent. Service at the dining room/bar was exceptional. The only hangup was not being able to get checked in before noon, since our conference started at 10 am.

    « Anniversary stay »

Excellent location to stay at! The room was clean and comfortable, the front desk staff was pleasant and was extremely good at their jobs and the hot tub in our room was incredible!! We will be staying with you again!!

    5
« Nice Place to stay »

We only stayed one night at the hotel but enjoyed it. They have a really nice Bar and Grill off the lobby area. It's cosy and friendly! We had a huge suite with lots of room and Comfy beds. Property is a bit older but is extremely clean. Will stay here again.

    5
« Great Place to stay in Bozeman »

This hotel was excellent. The staff was always friendly and informative. The room was always clean and the wifi worked perfectly. The restaurant in the hotel was very good with great service. The pool area was clean. The hotel is located close to most everything and the view was spectacular. I would definitely stay there again.

    4
    « Good accommodations »

The staff was excellent, very friendly and efficient. The meeting facility was clean and met all of our needs. My room was clean and spacious, with excellent amenities. The restaurant has a better than average menu and the food was good. My only complaint was they served a gluten meal when I ordered gluten-free out of necessity. After I pointed out the error, they were very quick to correct it.

    4
« Excellent conference, nice rooms »

The rooms are very nice and updated. The conference was good - only negatives were the rooms were too cold and the chairs are very uncomfortable to sit on for long periods of time. The location is okay but a little tricky to get in and out of due to the way the roads are.

    4
« Wonderful place and greatt employees »

We have had to stay with these folks because of the hospital in Bozeman. We had surgery early the next day and stayed the day before. the Inn gave us a break in price due to the hospital stay. All areas of comfort are addressed by the staff before you get there via an online survey of needs and desires. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Parking was provided near the room. The Inn is in a convenient location. Restaurants are near and one is in the Inn itself. Stores are within walking distance (Walmart is across the street). Down town Bozeman is very near and there is a plethora of restaurants there. The Inn is pet friendly and there are places nearby that you can walk your pet. Please be sure to pick up after them. The rooms did not have any previous pet odor to them. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Good place to stay.

    3
    « Bozeman vistit »

Good hotel close to the University with an easy drive to get there. It is pet friendly which is something we are always looking for. Staff was friendly and there are sever young folks who attend the university and are willing to talk about their experiences there. Did not like the lack of a continental breakfast which really helps us with our morning schedule. The restaurant b-fast was OK and you get a 20% off coupon for 1-2 guests. A bit slow in getting us our food which made us late. We had not eaten there prior so did not know that it was slow. Over all it was a good stay.

    5
« We love staying here »

We enjoyed staying here friendly staff , clean room , we choose a pool side room , Breakfast was very good we liked the casino friendly staff , location was perfect near the 7th Street exiit , all around great place to stay

    5
    « Felt like luxury »

This came at the end of a wonderful tour of Yellowstone Park in winter. Very comfortable bedroom. Excellent final meal for our group in a private room, and good breakfast before we all dispersed. Free shuttle service to the airport was great convenience.

    5
« Great Restaurant in Bozeman »

Went to the GranTree for dinner and breakfast. Dinner was well done with a steak cooked just as ordered. The service was fantastic. Waitress was very helpful but not over bearing. We will return. Breakfast was a little slow but the restaurant was full. You could not ask for a better prepared breakfast. Great service with the coffee cup refilled generously. The chef made everyone at the breakfast table happy. You would be hard pressed to find better food.

    « Yellowstone Gateway »

My wife and I stayed at the Gran Tree Inn on our way to and from Yellowstone National Park. The staff was pleasant and helpful and the rooms were clean and quiet. The hotel's restaurant is outstanding: we ate there for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and always found the menu appealing, the food well-prepared, and the service prompt and courteous. When we encountered a delay getting home due to bad weather at our destination the hotel graciously extended our stay and provided free rides to downtown Bozeman where we enjoyed our unanticipated free day. We will stay here again when we return to Bozeman.

    5
« Always a great place to stay! »

As a frequent business traveler, staying at a comfortable motel is extremely important to me. The staff here is second to none- always friendly, helpful, and eager to assist when the need arises. With a nice business center, restaurant, and clean comfortable rooms- it doesn't make sense to stay anywhere else!

    4
    « Smiles from check-in »

Outstanding service and smiling personel makes this a nice place to go back to. When we asked to be moved to a different room to get a less noisy one, it was offered easily and even trying their best to be sure to have the best solution out of the available rooms.

    5
    « College Town Oasis »

Love the convenience to the Interstate and the College. Not right downtown but close enough to not miss out on Bozeman's lively night scene. Great place to stay when you're in Town for the Kid's College events. Dining on-site makes evenings with family and friends much easier. One of my favorite Montana Conference locations. There is a lot to love in a property that keeps the solid Montana tradition of family value and hospitality close.

    5
    « Great conference venue! »

I have attended countless conferences at the GranTree, and my recent planning/hosting experience with them was exceptional. Seamless, easy process from booking to planning to execution. Friendly, competent staff from setup to catering to AV. They really went above and beyond to make sure all of our needs were met. Looking forward to my next opportunity to plan an event with them!

    5
    « Lovely stay. »

Great staff, great room. Loved having restaurant there. Would definitely stay here again. Joined the rewards program, seems to be a good thing. Front desk staff was excellent. Clean and comfortable, all you need for a good stay.

    3
    « Noisy »

Heater and fridge are so noisy you have to stop them to sleep. Neighbors can be heard from your room as well. Some rooms are directly on the parking place and should be avoided. Looby very noisy as well due to the restaurant. Helpful staff

    5
« Great place when traveling with dogs. »

This place is a great stay with well-behaved dogs because of the reasonable pet fee and the fact there is an enclosed courtyard in which to let the dogs run and do their business. They even provide pick up bags and a trash can. Also the rooms are nice, beds are comfortable, there are microwaves and refrigerators and great wi-fi access.

    5
« Great Hotel In A Handy Place »

We enjoyed our one night's stay at this hotel which is located on a main street into town and just off I-90. It was quiet, updated, had free parking, had a great rate, and had a great breakfast that was not free. The restaurant service was quick, the food traditional and tasty, and the parking free and right outside of the room. The hotel has more than one story and is accessible to the handicapped. The people were friendly, and helpful guiding our stay in Bozeman. We would return anytime we get the opportunity.

    4
    « Road trip 2018 »

Stayed at the BW and we were invited to a ducks unlimited conference at the hotel. Hotel staff was great, service very good. Rooms where clean and quiet. Breakfast was very good but service slow at the restaurant, Parking lot was clean and plenty of space available. Front desk staff were very friendly and efficient.

    « Friendly staff! »

I stopped here last minute due to weather and was warmly welcomed. The staff is so friendly and helpful! The room was comfortable and the restaurant is amazing, I recommend the California Benedict for breakfast. Will definitely stay here again :-)

    5
    « Comfortable & Convenient »

The location is perfect for getting to all parts of Bozeman easily. The staff is cheerful and eager to help in any way possible. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and the WiFi is reliable, not to mention easy to sign into. It only takes one step to sign in. It was also very convenient to have a restaurant/lounge and a coffee shop right in the building. Really no need to go anywhere else. Excellent facility for a conference.

« Best hotel experience of the week... »

I stayed at this property because I was leading a seminar the next day (at the property). The two gals at the front desk, who checked me in, were extremely helpful. They were confident, responsive, and helped me find a fax I was expecting. I had several questions for them upon arrival and they were patient with me. ;-) The next day I received amazing service from two of the banquet staff: Austin and Matt. Our event is what hotels ofter refer to as "water party". Room rental with no f&b. As a result I feel like we get overlooked at a lot of hotels. But not here!!! I sincerely appreciate Austin giving me a warm and sincere welcome when I arrived at the meeting room in the morning. I hosted the same event at two other hotels that week, receiving little to no service. Austin was a breath of fresh air. I also received great service in the restaurant for breakfast. The server was attentive, the food was great, and they helped me get in and out quickly.

« One night halt at Bozeman »

A very decent hotel, well equipped spacious rooms. Extremely helpful, warm and cheerful staff. Close to city center and not very far from airport. Hotel has a nice restaurant. Very good WiFi facility.

    2
    « DISHONEST »

Sales people were dishonest, lacking character and couth. Food was average, nothing special. Rooms were okay. Meeting rooms and common spec was dirty and smelled of a strange odor. Staff overall were not friendly like I was told, disappointed in the dishonesty.

    5
« Meeting at Best Western »

The room was great, the front desk people were great to work with. There were multiple front desk clerks taking care of a lot of people checking in. They all did a fantastic job. the room was very clean and up to date.

    5
« Clean, quiet rooms, helpful staff »

We had a wonderful stay. The staff was helpful, room was clean and quiet. The restaurant, on site, is very good. The pool was enjoyed. We used the shuttle twice, once to the Museum of the Rockies and once to the airport. The airport shuttle was at 3:45 a.m.!! The drivers were courteous and we never had to wait. Thanks so much!

    5
    « AMAZING STAY »

I just stayed here for a wedding and not only were all the staff so helpful in all our needs during the event, I had the best sleep of my life. The beds were so comfortable. The food at the wedding as well as the Club was amazing. I would recommend this to anyone looking to do an event or just a over night stay. Very pleased!

    1
« Rude staff, horrible stay »

The restaurant wouldn't let us use a menu for room service! Horribly rude staff. The pool was so dirty it had clumps of hair floating in it and visable dirt on the bottom, no towels were available. There was trash outside the entrances and broken fixtures in our room. Very poor maintanence.

    5
    « Work »

This hotel has the most friendly staff! The restaurant is great! The workout room on top of Arby's is ok. The casino is small, but fun and service is amazing! The rooms are clean and comfortable, I love the towel decoration! Walmart is across the street, and downtown is just over a two mile walk. Ski hill is just a ten minute drive!

« Just in town for quick sleep »

We booked the Best Western Gran Tree Inn for quick overnight stay. It was affordable and easy to find. We enjoyed dinner in their onsite restaurant. The room was clean and comfortable. Bathrooms were a little dated. Not a maker or breaker.

    5
« Nice Hotel and Location »

On arrival we find a very friendly staff compliment, helpful and assisting. We enjoyed our overnight stay and will stay again when passing through town. The room was clean, fresh and we received a little gift in our room. Breakfast was offered at a discount to us. We received free waters for the room.

    5
    « Great stay »

Checked in at the last minute because the weather turned too nasty to drive home. We were thankful that a room was available with short notice, close to the holiday. What I especially liked was that the HVAC system was so QUIET! We have stayed at other properties where the fan would jolt us awake every time it kicked on.

    5
    « Really Nice Hotel/Location »

We spent three nights here and found it to be a really convenient spot. Easy access to Oak, Main, 7th and 19th - which are the big vehicle movers in Bozeman. Access on and off 7th is kind of busy, but always seemed to get in and out okay. Restaurant/lounge is really good - great food, reasonable prices and very accommodating staff. Also an adjacent C-store/gas station - so you don't have to drive if you need snacks or a beverage. This will be out go-to stay in Bozeman in the future.

    5
« The Customer is #1 at This Hotel »

The shuttle service to and from the airport was top notch. the staff was helpful and knowledgable about the local area. The Shuttle service took us to and from downtown whenever we wanted. Which we were out and about on the day of check-out, they were kind enough to take our bags out of the room and begin the checkout process while we weren't even there. I feel like if there is anything you need, just call the front desk and they will go out of their way to make you happy.

    1
    « Deceitful »

Attending meeting. A tall chick, Lori or Lauren, was rude to my coworker. She accepted no responsibility for the meeting mix ups. SHe tried to blame someone else which is so unprofessional and inexcusable.

    5
« Excellent Hotel in Bozeman »

5 Star hotel, centrally located in Bozeman, MT. Fabulous service from everyone; the check-in at reception to the Bar/restaurant! Clean and comfortable rooms. Would stay again and recommend! The entire staff seemed to delight in making my stay a good one. No request was taken lightly - they really worked hard to make the class and our leisure time pleasant and enjoyable.

    5
    « Great Hotel »

I really love this hotel! It is convenient to the interstate. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the hotel itself is very clean and comfortable. I prefer to stay here when I am in the area! Never a disappointment!

    5
    « Great hotel »

Car broke, had to stop. Saw this hotel and just felt it was 'right'. My gut was correct. It had everything we needed without having to leave. Nice restaurant/lounge. The place was clean and comfortable. Beds were great. The boys had a pool to play in. Updated rooms and a comfy place to wait for tow truck after check out time. Thank you!

    4
    « Just Right »

Relaxing evening at Best Western, Bozeman. We live in the area and often go to the Pub and Grill for their great burgers and drinks. This time we stayed overnight and had a good breakfast, too. Looking forward to staying again, leaving the car (free!) and using the airport shuttle service.

  • 5
« Dont' miss breakfast the next morning at the restaurant »

My wife and I love the Best Western Plus hotels. Best rewards program- hands down, as well as exceptional rooms with great amenities. With this stay they give you a discount coupon as they don't have the standard morning buffet. While a bit different from what we expected, the breakfast was legit! The hash browns were the best I've had anywhere. A great meal and they had a coffee shop stand so we didn't have to make another stop for our road caffeine. A great hotel- very clean, friendly staff and well maintained. Great job guys!

    4
« I would stay at one of these hotels all the time »

I would stay at one of these hotels all the time the hotel was clean and the people working were very understandable and curtious to you. I flew in and went to the wrong hotel but they were very caring and could accomodate me

    4
« Easy access and features in Bozeman »

This is right off I-90 in Bozeman, Montana and the property is in great shape with an attractive lobby area, a restaurant and lounge on property and good meeting facilities for business. The room and furniture were in good shape and quiet for a good nights sleep. Everything I'm looking for in a stay on the road.

    3
« Too old and dated »

I have stayed here before and stayed because of a seminar I attended. I wouldn't recommend it just because it is very big and even though Best Western bought it, it still needs renovation. The location is right off the interstate but with a gas station, Arby's and other hotels right on top of it, it is too cluttered to consider it relaxing. The fitness center has to be reached by crossing a parking lot and going up these stairs past the Arby's and gas station. Don't see why they can't do something better in their sprawling facility.

    5
    « Lounge is Awesome »

Very nice hotel. Staff was excellent. Lounge is the best anywhere. Food a tad over priced but was good. This is an older hotel, but well worth it just for the lounge alone. Price was good too. If your in the bozeman area, give it a try.

    3
    « Stay at Grantree »

The first room was like a dungeon. Couldn't find the ice bucket turned out it was in the clothes closet. We asked to move, the staff was very accommodating. The room that we moved to was not user friendly. The bench for the luggage was in what was once a closet which was located in a very ackward location. The fitness center was outside of the motel above the Arby's restaurant. In the winter this could be an issue.

    5
    « Always a great experience »

This hotel has always been a wonderful experience when I stay. The rooms are clean and the staff is caring. Having the restaurant, lounge and casino on site is a bonus. When you are tired, you do not have to drive anywhere, everything is on site!

    5
« Sporting goods dealer show »

2nd time coming here, was as good as last year! Great room, great service, and the bar was full and fun. Bartenders were always there to see if we needed more drinks. Airport shuttle was a BIG plus! The catering and hosted bar for our 100+ people dinner was flawless. Great place for any large business/sales meeting, plenty of room and decent prices.

    5
« Returning to my husbands roots »

This is a very classy hotel. No complaints. All staff were excellent and very friendly. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The bed was great and we slept like a log. Housekeeping was perfect. We will return as we have stayed there many times. Bozeman has many choices of new modern big hotels but this is our favorite. Good job guys.

    1
« Hotel is overpriced, customers mean nothing here »

Staff at front desk were rude and acted like I was an imposition. Way too pricey for the outdated, smelly rooms! I asked about discounts for my friends but was told that was the best price she could offer. No help from other staff. self important was attitude of some tall blonde who was quite arrogant. NO breakfast either!!

  • 2
« Service was very disappointing »

We went to the bar after the game and were hard pressed to get the bartenders attention although it wasn't that busy not only did she not acknowledge our presence (4 gals) she waited on the men that came up after us. Huge pet peeve of mine and really makes me not want to come back. The next morning we decided to try the bar again for breakfast, we had a 15 minute wait so decided to go to the bar for a drink, same exact girl from the night before and exact response, which was not acknowledging us. Once we were seating we had a wonderful waiter and a great meal but poor bar service.

    3
« Disappointed in Billings BW »

We often stay at BWs and expected more from this at the price. Breakfast was not included, which was a surprise. We would not have booked this hotel had we known. Another negative for me was that the fitness center was not attached to the hotel, rather in a separate building above a store across the parking lot. With the temperatures barely above freezing in the evening, it wasn't fun to go over there and back. Plus it wasn't an especially attractive place to be. I would not have felt comfortable there without my husband. We would not use this hotel again - something I rarely say about a BW.

    5
    « Sir »

I have frequently stayed at this establishment over the course of four years and although the lodging is a little over priced it is of the highest quality in this price range but that is not the reason I return. The club tavern but more importantly, Chandra. There is only one way to describe the efficiency and grace in which she handles her duties as a purveyor of cuisine and libation. The mating dance of the greater north american sage grouse. She approaches her duties with the same aggressive behavior as the grouse in rut but with gentle subtleties that it takes to win a mate ( the customer). As long as Chandra is winning over the cardio-vascular systems of both local and foreign bodies alike I shall return to spend my earnings.

    4
    « yellow stone trip »

are over all stay was good, how ever we felt the price was high and we would have stayed another night had it been less. we continued our journey closer to our next destination a day early. the gal on check out was very helpful in answering our questions before we departed

    1
    « Don't stay, old »

Checked in, front desk Clerk was unfriendly and rude. No breakfast, hallways stunk and were dark. Price was outrageous for a Best Western it was priced like a luxury property but accommodations were more like Super 8.

    5
« Great Place to Stay »

The Gran Tree Inn is always a great place to stay. The staff is friendly, courteous and helpful, the restaurant has a great variety of drinks and food. The rooms are clean and comfortable and it is in a great location. Close to anything and everything. You will not be disappointed with the Gran Tree Inn.

    4
« Full service older hotel »

Even though this is an older two story property it is kept up pretty well and has everything you could want in one spot. The hallways to the rooms were old looking but the room were bright and clean with excellent lighting, especially in the vanity area, The beds were comfortable and it was surprisingly quiet. Once you get settled in your room, then head on down to the lively bar and restaurant. The food is very good (and lots of it!) and they have nightly specials. Attached to the bar is a little casino room with slots. They actually do pay out too! Afterwards you can go to the large pool and hot tub to chill out. There is a free hotel shuttle to and from the Bozeman airport and the shuttle will also take you downtown. Everyone there way out of their way to make sure we had a great time. Now, just remember that this hotel only has one set of elevators and this is a huge rambling hotel. The lower the room number, the closer to the elevator; be sure to check before you get the long walk when you turn left and the numbers jump up to the 260's and then start going back down again! It was a great stay and we had a good breakfast (huge portions) before heading on to Yellowstone.

    4
    « Comfortable, reliable »

We have stayed many nights over the years at the BW Grantree Inn and have found it to be comfortable, reliable. Friendly staff at the desk, helpful. Solid customer service and have made excellent restaurant recommendations. The on site restaurant and bar is also very good. Very clean rooms, comfortable beds, great location near downtown Bozeman, the freeway and any shopping you may need to do. We will be back!

    1
    « Horrible Experience »

Decent hotel, horrible customer service. Booked the hotel over 4 months ago for a military rate of $95 + tax per night. I self check out and come to find out they claim I booked the hotel for $165 + tax per night and that was the supposed standard military rate. I disagreed and pled my case and even tried logging into my rewards account to view my reservation which conveniently said details for this reservation are not available. Will never be staying at this place again I can understand some things but saying I booked a room for more than I know I booked it for and charging me $140+ more is unacceptable.

    4
« Nice place sad desk help »

Facilities were nice, room was clean and comfortable, the staff was very friendly..... except the front desk. On checking out they charged a higher rate than the room was reserved at, without a good explanation and not so much as a thank you. It left a sour taste.

    « BW Grandtree »

Very clean room; Great customer service with all departments. Good location just off the freeway. Nice, well kept grounds & hotel. Easy location to get to areas of shopping and places of interest. We were there for a required business conference & the breaks were always supplied with coffee, water, treats. The last night of the conference we had a buffet which was very well prepared. Our dining area was set up nicely as well as the drink area & the staff was great !! We wives made American Heroes quilt tops while our husbands were in day long meetings & the staff was great in setting up our sewing room and being sure we had plenty of water & anything else we may have needed. We would definately recommend this hotel to anyone.

    « great hotel »

very good hotel, the restaurant has good food. hotel and restaurant staff are friendly, rooms are comfortable. I stay here for business as often as possible. FYI: Bozeman has many activities associated with the university so book early because you will not be able to find a room anywhere!

« Disappointed...Doesn't match high quality of other Best Western Plus hotels we've stayed in! »

Our 1st impression came when we opened our room door to a strong 'musty-like', disgusting stench! We had traveled 100's of miles, it was late, we were tired, but it was an issue, and we probably should have requested another room. Also, when checking in night before, we were offered & requested 'express checkout' with a promise of a receipt under our door by 6:30A. We were up & ready to leave by 6:30A to make our appointment, but no receipt. Had to call desk to request again. Room itself, was deceiving, having an 'old-ish' look & feel, though outside front of building was impressive & obviously updated. It was the 1st BW Plus we've experienced that didn't include a breakfast. When we inquired, we were told that it is because they have an attached restaurant available. Since, typically breakfast is included in price, we believe this info should be revealed by staff when booking. FYI: This BW is the most 'pricey' we've stayed in, even w/discounts, AAA, etc. It was 'over the top' for what we got! Positives: Parking was great; bed was comfortable; staff was friendly.

    « Nice business/ conference Inn »

The Gran Tree in Bozeman MT is a decent Inn for business or conference purposes. It has nicely sized breakout rooms, and offers all the amenities that one needs on the road. A lounge and restaurant is available onsite for critical after hours networking. It is located next to a gas station and only a few minutes from Gallatin Field airport, so topping off a rental car is easy.

    « great stay »

The beds were comfortable. The room immaculate. The check in/ out process easy. The internet great. Allowing pets for an additional $10 was reasonable. The added coupons on check in were a nice addition. The aarp discount was nice. The proximity to town was great. We were just passing through on our was to Boise. Great hotel!!

« Disappointed. Budget motel at luxury hotel prices »

We were here for a Montana State University function and football game. Given the price, I was expecting a lot more. The furnishings and look were old (not rustic, old). The bathrooms were more like I would expect in a very low end roadside motel. Our room had a back sliding door that opened into the indoor pool area and conference area (odd placement of a pool) so there was noise from other guests and kids. Could have requested a different room but it was tolerable. The air conditioning was weak and the room stayed rather hot. No breakfast included and other oddities just made me feel like I was paying for far more than I was getting. Front desk staff were very nice and friendly until a manager came out. There was a problem with our reservation that was not their fault nor ours and simply to clear up and the front desk had it handled but the manager felt she needed to come and apparently show off for the front desk staff by being rude and trying to lecture us about the error (which we had not made). If I am wrong, I don't mind even a minor scolding but when it had nothing to do with me, her attitude and harsh words were highly inappropriate. I absolutely will not stay here if back in Bozeman. There are plenty of other hotels and some are much closer to campus.

    3
« Hotel was just OK. »

Hotel was convenient to the interstate and it had its own bar and restaurant that was very busy. The pool was in an atrium area, that was right outside of the conference rooms- very strange place for a pool because if there were meetings going on, you had to walk right through their lounge area to get to the pool. The fitness center was located outside, across the parking lot from the hotel, above an Arby's. Impossible to find on your own as there were no signs, and there was no free breakfast. I would have thought a Plus hotel would have been nicer.

    3
« The hotel is really outdated »

The staff are wonderful but the hotel is really outdated and no breakfast you have to go to the restaurant that is at the hotel. For the price of this hotel they should offer something for breakfast. It is in a good location for shopping.

    4
« Edge of the city hotel »

Lovely hotel just on the outskirts of the city. Lovely rooms and good breakfast in the morning right off the lobby. Friendly helpful staff. Montana Zoo is nearby and a lovely way to spend a morning or afternoon. Lots of flower gardens and humanly housed animals too see. As adults we loved it and we saw lots of children who loved it too.

« If you don't stay at the GranTree at least go have a fantastic meal there!! »

So last week I went to Bozeman to see clients and hadn't stayed at the GranTree Inn for quite sometime, but I knew they had a bar/restaurant in the hotel. So I thought well this way I can meet my clients & buy them drinks & a meal. I travel a lot and since I'm a Diamond Select memeber they gave me a suite to stay in which was very spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. So that was good, but I forgot just how good the restaurant was, I was quickly reminded when I ordered the Green Chili Chicken, it was awesome. My only problem was that they give you 2 large chicken breasts and think you should be able to eat it, believe me I tried but it was way too much. You know how it is when you love the meal, and you try to eat it because you love it and then you over eat. Well that's what happened. Then for breakfast I had the Banana Fosters French Toast which was also to die for, and Jade my waiter was just super nice. He was very polite and social, which you don't find in 21 year olds much these days. Anyway very nice hotel but they out do themselves in the food department. Do yourself a favor even if you don't stay there, go there for the food.

    « Awesome hotel »

The staff was very professional and courteous when we checked in. The hotel was right off the highway and a quick drive to get to Main Street. This hotel is very pet friendly and the charge for pets is probably the best I've seen compared to other hotels. There is even an open field of grass to take your pet to for them to run around and use the bathroom. The rooms were quite comfortable as well. I would definitely stay here again.

    « College day »

Dropped off my daughter for MSU. Helped her get set up in her dorm. Took in the area first time to Bozman. Hopefully we will staying at the GranTree Inn on are visits to see are daughter and some football games.

    « Fun Stay »

We really enjoyed our stay and felt we were treated extremely well by the woman at the check-in counter. She was pleasant to talk to and very patient with us during our check-in process. We will be using Best Western Motels in the future for both business and pleasure.

    5
« Great suite for family »

Great location, very close to airport and easy to find. Spacious rooms, very clean, whirlpool tub really appreciated after a long trip . Check in/ out very easy. Perfect for a family of 4. Would recommend and return.

    5
« Great Stay in Bozman, MT »

Looked all over for an acceptable place to stay late at night with my wife and three kids. Bozeman, MT BW was great, quick and efficient in getting us into a great room. The overall experience was wonderful and if ever in Bozeman again will most definitely stay there. The BW had easy access to I90 which made our trip very easy.

    5
    « Most Relaxing »

This property has the most comfortable beds. We were able to get a full night of much needed rest. The staff was very helpful. The on site restaurant had many choices all within a good$$ . Close to other amenities and easy highway access

    4
    « Bozeman Best Western »

Disappointed that only a restaurant was available at a discount instead of the usual Best Western complimentary breakfasts. The restaurant was a bar/restaurant combination with minimal options. The hotel itself was very nice and well kept as well as quiet.

    4
« Nice, clean, quiet room in Bozeman »

The room was complete with all amenities: refrigerator, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, wifi, etc. It was clean and very comfortable, but summertime price is expensive in Bozeman. Easy access on and off interstate, but the room was quiet. Also, conveniently located to shopping, dining and activities in the Bozeman area.

    5
    « Great trip! »

We stayed here on our way to Yellowstone and it turned out to be a great location for our families. The kids loved the rooms right off the pools, as did the parents. It was great for group travel and the staff was very helpful.

    5
    « An enjoyable stay. »

We stayed for two nights while enjoying out time around Yellowstone Park.... a very comfortable suite with all we needed provided. Food was excellent in the restaurant and the breakfast was incredible. Laundry facilities very convenient and easy to use.

  • 4
    « Flexible and convenient »

10 mins from Bozeman airport, perfect place to stay after arriving with a long delay - locally managed, locally operate and smartly flexible when booking in a middle of night: front desk person was able to offer a good rate, thing none of other hotels around was able to do, either due to central reservation platforms or poorer service. Otherwise, all as expected, clean and comfortable !

    5
    « Excellent facility »

Very nice facility. Front desk staff was great, room spotless and comfortable, will definitely stay here again if I go through. Only minor issue was it took many tries to log on to internet, but then it worked fine. Also the outlets on the bedside lamp didn't work, and apparently they are powered by a wall switch - a label indicating that would be helpful. However, it was a great stay, and I'd sure stay there again.

    4
« Definitely The Top Best Western I've Stayed In »

Hotel is very pleasant inside and out. Our room was excellent. We arrived early and front desk staff were very accommodating. They warned us that the only room available was upstairs a ways from the elevator. I said ok and it was but fair warning for future guests, ask fog something on 1st floor or near elevator. They only have one and layout is a U with elevator at top of one side. Our room was at the other. It was still worth it to get in 3 hours early of course

    4
    « Yellowstone NP Gateway »

Traveling through from Billings to Boise we had to use a large # of points for a Rewards Night. Clearly this is because this is a northern gateway to Yellowstone NP and during tourist season, you will pay a premium (I'm sure at all hotels in the Bozeman area). Since we are loyal to BW, we stayed anyway. Clean room and comfortable bed!

    5
« The BEST hotel I've ever stayed at »

I have stayed at a lot of other hotels over the past year and this hotel has really outdone itself! Definitely blown out of the water. It was the vacation me and my boyfriend needed. It was our anniversary and couldn't have asked for anything better than what we got! Thank you Best Western we will definitely be seeing you in the future!

    3
    « Bozeman, MT BW so-so. »

Bozeman BW ... could not get a fresh pot of coffee in the lobby. Did have it in the room which wasn't very hot nor good. Rooms had not been updated in sometime. No complementary breakfast. Staff was very nice. Won't stay here again.

    3
    « All in one »

First time staying at this location. The hotel appeared to be fairly updated and the front desk staff was very welcoming. The food at the restaurant was really exceptional. And open till 10pm. Would've been nice gonna be the food served later but none the less it was good. Room was clean except for the lip liner makeup that we found in the safe when we went to use it. The bed was comfortable. The pool looked very nice and indoors but unfortunately also closed at 10 and we had a late arrival. Besides the lip liner in the room the room was good. The only issue was the casino attendant. She seemed very cranky and not happy to be at work. We would stay at this hotel again.

    3
« A nice stay in a fairly simple hotel. »

Best western in Bozeman is simple but has the amenities for a short stay with a TV and a great breakfast, Comfy beds and a spacious room. Staff were helpful and welcoming addressing our problems and needs. Overall a very good stay.

    4
    « Very Nice »

Travelers dream, right off freeway....has station next door...great restaurants in-house. Comfortable, big rooms, with refrig and microwaves in the rooms. Great restraint good menu, meat entrees, such as burgers had a choice of either beef or bison.

    5
    « Great! »

I was extremely pleased and impressed by the cleanliness of the room. Everything sparkled. For the price it should include breakfast. The Wi-Fi strength is great. All the staff was friendly and welcoming. I would definitely be back if I ever needed to stay in Bozeman again.

    « Enjoyed the stay! »

Room was very clean. Bed was comfortable. Staff was very helpful. Used laundry facilities, which were also very clean and easy to use. Would be very happy to spend another night or even several more nights here!

    4
    « Nice Place »

Room was decent size, in a good location with good parking. Bed was very comfy. A/C was a little persnickety - seemed to shut itself off at 3 am and not cool again until 7. Almost seemed programmed to do so - both husband and I woke up warm - couldn't get the a/c to stay running no matter what - but it kicked back in at 7am. Guess we had it as cold as they wanted it to go :). Nice laundry room facilities thought out well with a small lounge area near the machines. Indoor pool which the kids seemed to love. On site restaurant was very very good, with attentive staff. I am sure locals eat here - I would. All the staff seemed engaged and genuine - including the cleaning staff. The furniture was leather (like) so dog wouldn't get too much hair on it. It shows these folks care about the detail. This is a really run outfit in a beautiful town. Would stay here again.

    « Consistently great service »

Have spent probably 150 nights here over the years, have traveled the world over 2.5 million miles. Gran Tree Bozeman has provided tremendous value and service 100% of the time. Staff always makes eye contact, focuses on you the customer, goes to excess to insure the customers needs are met. Lounge/Restaurant great food and service, clean and comfortable rooms. 5 star service, 3 star price. My only complaint is that the hotel is often booked solid, a testament to its excellence.

    5
« nice place to rest and relax »

The Gran Tree is always a relaxed atmosphere and allows everyone to sit back and relax in the lounge, casino, or at poolside. Business center is easily accessible and useful. Rooms are comfortable and the staff and service is always exemplary.

    5
    « Family Road Trip »

Appreciated that the hotel allowed pets. Staff were super friendly; they let us know about 4th of July fireworks show from the outside patio where we ate and enjoyed the show. The beds, comforter and pillows were comfortable and the room was clean.

    4
    « Best Western Excellent »

This is an excellent place to stay, but they do not provide free breakfast, as do the other Best Westerns. The place was very clean, and the quality room was excellent. My family and I really enjoyed being there. Best Western is the place to stay when vacationing.

    5
    « Nice place »

Stopped at the Grantree Inn after a long day of driving. Pleasantly surprised that my points from staying at Best Westerns in the past didn't expire. It's been a while. The motel was cheaper than the Quality Inn we had stayed at the previous night and much nicer. We ate in The Club (the motel's restaurant) and loved it. Great food and nice waitstaff.

    4
    « friendly »

Not happy about being stranded but hotel was nice and staff were friendly and accommodating. Room locations were a bit difficult. My room was not close to elevator. Bar and restaurant was busy with both locals and visitors. Very reasonable prices.

    5
    « Quality hotel »

This is definitely a quality hotel in Bozeman. friendly staff, comfortable room. Both a restaurant and bar/lounge in the hotel. Good location. Pool and spa were convenient and well used by many guests. Great place for leisure travelers and it also has conference facilities for business.

    5
« Great place to stay »

Clean and comfortable. Friendly, helpful staff. Nice restaurant and bar in the hotel. Many other restaurant choices in the area. Love the coffee bar too. This hotel is quiet even though it is close to Interstate and a busy street.

    « Pleasant stay »

Overall, it was a nice place to stay. Clean rooms, friendly staff and good food. I usually don't sleep will in a motel bed but these were comfortable and I slept well. The motel is in a good location in Bozeman, close to restaurants and the interstate.

    5
    « Great stay »

Great restaurant- super professional staff .everything in one spot. Enjoyed the Tap Grill atmosphere. Will stay there next time out west. Booking was fast and easy. The tenderloin steak was perfectly cooked

    5
    « A Welcoming stay »

Staff were friendly, informative, always smiling and helpful. The restaurant and bar provided a good range of choices at affordable prices. The shuttle provided a most welcome service. The room was clean and comfortable.

    5
    « Awesome place »

Will definitely stay again. Staff was very very helpful. Rooms and beds were outstanding. Pet area was clean we felt safe to let Our children(dogs) enter the zone without worries. Don't pass this place up if you are in this area .

    4
    « Very crowded. »

The room and service was great but there was so much extra going on there were no parking places. We were very disappointed to find out the didn't have a free breakfast. As much as the room cost you would think they could feed us.

    4
« Nice King Room Suite with recliner »

I stayed for a few nights in a King Bed suite with a recliner. It was a nice spacious room with free wifi. The hotel is located in a town that is surrounded by a beautiful view of mountains. The one thing I did not care for was that the window faced in toward the indoor pool and sauna area. I could hear all the conversations taking place. It was distracting and I would have a view of the outside. There is a restaurant there to eat but no continental breakfast. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

    3
« Very Dissatisfied at the Best Western (Plus) GranTree Inn, Bozeman, Montana »

We stayed at this motel because of the weather, (rainstorm) if the weather wasn't a factor we wouldn't have stopped. But being in the BW club we stopped here, totally dissatisfied due to hard beds & breakfast not included in room stay, could have stayed at the Holiday Inn which has a breakfast...We thought that the (Plus) in the name of this motel would have included some (Pluses). However the only (Plus) there was, was the (Plus) in the cost...Not likely to stay in the Best Western (Plus) Motels again....We would REALLY like to know what the (Plus) is, or is it just slogan??? If it is just a slogan, then your ad men need to go back to the drawing board...

    5
« Love the attitude of staff! »

The staff at this hotel make such a huge difference as to why I will only stay here in the future. They took the time to answer my questions and made sure I was happy with my stay. Things have greatly improved over the last 3 years.

    2
    « Vibration and Humming »

There was a terrible vibration and a humming sound every 5 to 10 minutes from the heating/cooling unit on the roof. The wall and vanity vibrate. The hotel was full so we were told there was nothing they could do. We slept with the TV on to try to cover the noise. Access into hotel is difficult. Not a pleasant stay.

    3
« Nice staff, clean rooms, just not very convenient »

The staff was friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean. It is great in the way that it is close to the interstate, near walmart, and has its own restaurant. However, if you are looking for a "normal" hotel experience with complimentary breakfast and coffee/tea bar and accessible workout room, close to downtown, this hotel is not for you. (workout room is across parking lot in gas station building and parking lot is a little hard to maneuver.) I would stay here again if I had a free room with points, but if I had to pay, I would probably stay somewhere with a breakfast and cleaner pool. It just depends on what you want in a hotel. Like I said, great staff and clean rooms!

  • 4
    « warm »

Fast and very welcoming check in, all the staff are friendly and well informed, rooms are clean and well equipped, price is a good comparison to others in the same area, th meals are outstanding and service is tops

    1
    « Don't do it. »

Old, worn mote right by interstatel Ants in room. OK staff. Restaurants in lobby so NOTHING is free. Stay at a normal mid range newer motel like a Holiday Inn Express or a Hampton for a much better value and stay.

    5
« Amazing Property with Excellent Customer Service »

I love returning to this property as it is always consistent in service and quality. The shuttle service is a great amenity as is the pool area. The on property restaurant has a great happy hour and great food.

    5
    « Nice accomodations »

We enjoyed our stay at GranTree very much. Our room was up-to-date and very comfortable. We found the restaurant handy with big portions and fair prices. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner. City Brew specialty coffees are available. We enjoyed happy hour in the lounge. All of the employees were friendly and helpful. It was so nice to have such nice accomodations under one roof. The price was reasonable. We will return.

    5
« Best sleep and service »

Stayed here for one night after long day of traveling - king room, quiet, comfortable, clean and really comfortable beds and shower. Had more amenities than we used. Highly recommend staying here. Excellent breakfast. Location is great. Nice restaurant/pub atmosphere. Everyone very friendly and welcoming. Gas station next door.

    5
« We were visiting from Portland, OR to spend time with our son who attends MSU! »

Great place, very friendly staff, quiet rooms, lots of amenities, restaurant on site, comfortable beds, and excellent house keeping services. Loved the Keurig in the room! The pool and hot tub are a nice touch and we noticed that pets are allowed for those who need it.

    2
    « Little Comfort Afforded »

Very poor accommodations due to noise from animals and not addressing the problem by manager and a lack luster response on check out. The cooler switched on and off no matter what I did and only one HBO channel to watch.

    2
« Not the best of 14 nights of BW stays »

The room itself was okay but we wanted to open the window to freshen the air and it was almost impossible. Fan/Air Conditioner noisy. The hallways were very dark, dingy and poor lighting. The in-house restaurant had 12 TV's blaring from all directions. We left after two minutes so had to drive to another. Free drink tickets unused. The price of the room did not include breakfast. Same price on 14 other BW and all included breakfast. We would not go out of our way to stay there again. Front desk staff asked if we wanted points or gift bag. We didn't get either. She didn't know if we received senior discount and seemed indifferent. Need towel rack by sink. Strange floor plan.

    5
    « Great hotel »

Stayed two nights for conference, older hotel but nicely updated. Room comfortable and clean. Only negative is that there is one elevator and the rooms upstairs are separated by the pool area..so is a long haul from the elevator. There are lots of doors and stairways to use that are closer if you can haul your suitcase up a staircase, but otherwise need to request a room downstairs or close to the elevator if mobility is a problem. Convenient to gas stations, restaurant on site, Arby's next door right off the interstate

    3
    « Average hotel »

We stayed here in Bozeman after a long drive from Washington state on our way to Yellowstone. The hotel is average not super spectacular and not bad. We were a family of four adults traveling. We are rating it based on a couple different things. The fitness room which my husband and son wanted to use is in a unique place above the convenience store which is across the parking lot. There is a restaurant and bar as part of the hotel which we did not use. They do supply coffee in the lobby but there is no complementary breakfast. The rooms were comfortable.

  • 3
    « Good Location »

Right off of I 90 and within a mile of major shopping area and drive thru Starbucks and the AAA travel offices. A restaurant/ bar is attached to hotel lobby making it easy for weary and/ or hungry visitors. I am a huge fan of Best Western hotels and book in this chain often when traveling. That being said, I was unhappy with my experience here. I was upgraded to a suite without consulting me so when I arrived very tired from a 14 hour drive the room I requested and needed with two beds was not available. I had booked six weeks in advance and was traveling with a disabled female friend so really needed two beds. The solution was to sleep on sleeper sofa which I declined to do. I asked again to be placed in room with two beds. The best they could offer was a rollaway which was just as uncomfortable as a sleeper sofa for a senior citizen but that is what I had so my disabled friend could have a regular bed. I understand they thought they were being generous with the upgrade but if a person books a room requesting two beds there is generally a good reason for request Overall, the place is quiet with a fair price and great location

    5
    « College Graduation »

Great location. Just off interstate. transportation to college provided. Signage is a bit hard to spot with competing businesses nearby. Access is a bit hard from 7th Street. Access to restaurant and pool area is convenient.

    5
    « Great Customer Service »

Wasn't able to make it to hotel for our stay. Got caught in traffic in Colorado and was pushing midnight in Casper when I called the hotel to cancel. Had a prepaid reservation. Worked with the hotel owner who refunded my hotel stay. Very happy with customer service!

    4
    « Great stay »

Location was good for our needs. Room was clean and comfortable and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely stay there again if I happened to be in the Bozeman, Montana area.

    2
« Not what I would have hoped for from Best Western »

I went to this hotel for a conference through my work. We stayed here due the conference. I wish we hadn't. The staff were not helpful and made us feel like they were doing us a favor if we asked for anything. The rooms were only so so. Considering the price they should have been much nicer. I cannot recommend this hotel at all. Best Western is a brand I thought I could trust, not in Bozeman, and now I will really consider staying at other Best Westerns.

    5
    « Not what I expected »

I haven't stayed at a Best Western in over 10 years due to the lack of quality and service I experienced on several occasions. That has changed with this hotel in Bozeman. I don't know if this is the lone exception now, but I was extremely impressed. The staff were exceptional, their restaurant was exceptional and just about everything they had control of was impressive. The rooms were clean, nice and upgraded although limited by the older structure. I look forward to my next opportunity to go back.

    5
« Amazing Property with great location »

Everything from the arrival process to the restaurant is top notch! The Hotel is very clean and well maintained as well. Every interaction I had with staff was very friendly as well. The in house restaurant is amazing with a great happy hour! The owners and management of this hotel should be very proud.

    5
« Great hotel will stay again! »

Great hotel stay, room clean well appointed, everything we needed. Would be nice if they would eventually move to plug ins on the night stands, would definitely be a plus. TV lags between channels, kind of odd, and thermostat said 66 degrees felt like 76 degrees. That being said, these are small things that are hardly a blip on the radar. Room is clean and bed was comfortable, nicely done.

    4
    « Traveling »

When I can get a room I usually stay at the Grantree ....semi parking is so so ...it's got a couple of places to eat close by or just eat at the restaurant in the hotel....maybe they could update the menu a bit every once in awhile....because sometimes a BLT sounds pretty good after a long day

    4
« Attentive and pleasant staff »

I stayed at the BW Grantree for a conference. I found all staff, from housekeeping to desk and other support staff, to be friendly and attentive. The room was large, with a fridge and microwave, as well as a safe. There is also a huge flat screen TV, a comfortable chair and ottoman, and plenty of lighting. The sink/vanity area looked updated, with shelves beneath to stash my stuff to keep the top uncluttered. The tub/shower and toilet area (in a separate room from the vanity) didn't look as updated, but was clean. I didn't take advantage of the restaurant/bar this trip, but it is nice to have one on site. One issue I had was with the keurig coffee maker. I tried to use it to heat water for tea, but the water kept coming out brown. The coffee residue needs to be cleaned out periodically. Otherwise, it was a pleasant stay and I would stay here again.

    « Great Stay »

We had our 2017 convention booked here. My room was a king suite at the end of the hall, was very quiet and roomy. I was given discount coupons for the coffee bar and grill located in the lobby. I enjoyed lunch and dinner at the grill Nice menu items to choose from Both were great. Will stay again.

    3
« Best Western Plus Disappoints »

This Best Western hotel is a large Best Western -- it has a bar/lounge, restaurant and casino attached, plus banquet facilities, etc. The rooms are standard, however, and breakfast is NOT included in the room price, which is very disappointing because most Best Western hotels include a complimentary breakfast, some better than others -- so convenient in the morning. For the price of the rooms at this hotel (expensive), breakfast SHOULD be included!

    5
« Excellent pet friendly hotel with many amenities »

This is a very clean, well staffed, pet friendly hotel. It has a bar and restaurant, so it is nice to be able to stay in for a meal if you want to. Very good value for the amenities available. Our only criticism is that the entrance to the hotel is congested and confusing (a Bozeman city issue and not the fault of the hotel.)

The room was great. The Muddled Margarita was fantastic. If you are coming with a group, DO NOT MAKE YOUR RESERVATION THROUGH EXPEDIA. You will get a better hotel rate going directly to the hotel. GO Bobcats!

    « Very nice place »

The Best Western Gran Tree in Bozeman, is a very nice place to stay. Nice big clean rooms and a very happening lounge/restaurant. Lots of parking and located not far from downtown. Still lots of other amenities close by.

« Perfect locaiton and great staff! »

We stayed at the Gran Tree over the weekend because we were in town for my husband's senior Olympic hockey tournament. This is a great place to stay. It's only a mile from the rink and easy walking distance. The staff are very accommodating. The Tavern Restaurant was great service and food. The building is well maintained. Beds are comfortable and room is quiet. perfect stay!

I was there for two conferences, one in Oct. and one in Feb. The hotel has awesome views of the mountains. It's close to restaurants, shopping and Museum of Rockies. Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful

    « Good choice. »

Located right off I-90 at the N 7th Ave exit it is convenient if you are passing through. It is about 3/4 mile into downtown but they do run a free shuttle into town and also to Bozeman airport which is why we had chosen the hotel after a tour to Yellowstone. We had a king room which was really nice. Nothing to complain about. Clean well furnished. Large TV. Very comfortable arm chair and foot rest and a side table). Desk with chair. Two places where we could put our suitcases (seldom see that). Fridge, small microwave, large safe deposit box (good for lap top, DSLR camera and some lenses). Plenty of electric sockets at the desk and on one side of the bed. Sink is separated from shower and toilet. Basic amenities are provided. Also a good enough hair dryer. Shower was good, plenty of water, stable temperature. Towels were ok, too. Wifi was a bit unreliable, it was gone often and you had to reconnect and that wouldn't work at all times. Did not try the restaurant as we had made other plans. Breakfast was being served from 6 a.m. Staff was friendly, check-in and out quick. Affordable off season/shoulder season.

« Nice Hotel, Great Management »

A nice place to stay on a business trip. They were busy on the phones when I booked, so the manager was the one who assisted me, and she was very helpful (answered all my questions, got me a nice room). The hotel itself was nice, and I liked my room (I did get one of the larger KING bed rooms).

Great facility and staff was very nice. Tavern has wonderful food. Beds were average and the decor is a little old but extremely clean and comfortable. I was happy with the stay. A was in meetings so I didn't have a lot of time to explore.

When we stay in Bozeman we alway's like to stay at the Gran Tree. It is familiar to us, we like amenities it has to offer us. We alway's try to get the same room and the staff does what they can to accomadate us. We do appreciate that.

    « Good hotel but! »

Hotel was great and restaurants had good food. Pricey but good. We stay at bw's when we can. This hotel was the highest priced one on our trip. With no breakfast included. I cannot believe this. We traveled from the east coast and stayed 6 nights. This hotel was great but price with no breakfast is ridiculous. Wake up please. Thanks

Great location for a small- medium conference, very attentive staff and a nice casual atmosphere. The conference rooms were a nice size. The hotel is located near major roadways making access easy. Overall, the hotel met and exceeded expectations for the price of an evenings stay.

    « Nice »

It was better than the Green Tree Hampton Inn for quality of room comfort and less expensive. The location was excellent right off the freeway and close to Walmart, gas stations and the quietness in the rooms. It was very clean and the cleaning people were very nice and helpful.

« Home away from Home »

I had a very enjoyable stay during a business class. The class was at this hotel. Everything I needed was at this location. The staff was friendly, The rooms were clean. And the food was delicious. I was pleasantly surprise with the two vouchers I found tucked in with my room key. One was for a buy one drink get the second one free and the other was for a buy one City Brew specialty coffee get the other for 1/2 off. I would highly recommend Best Western Plus Gran Tree Inn in Bozeman for family or business stays.

    « BW Plus »

This hotel was a good stay. There is a restaurant on the bottom floor and the staff is always friendly. I love the fridge and microwave in the room, that's a great plus. Location is good, There's a Walmart across the street and several restaurants close by. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable!

    « Ahhhhh »

We arrived here, exhausted, after spending four nights in Yellowstone. The front desk person was very nice and got us checked in quickly and pleasantly. Our room was on the second floor. I don't remember seeing an elevator and so we used the stairs. I was recovering from foot surgery and have a bad back, so an elevator would have been useful. Fortunately, we had our son with us. Our room overlooked the indoor pool and I thought that the sound of kids playing there would be a problem, but that turned out to no be the case. After a peaceful, restful sleep, I had breakfast in the restaurant. The service and food were both great, providing me with a calm, healthy breakfast before getting back on the road. I would definitely recommend this hotel. The staff and accommodations were all fantastic!

« Most helpful and happy hotel staff I've seen »

They went above and beyond to accommodate every request I made, and I made several difficult requests regarding transportation. By far the best hotel experience I've had to date, I couldn't have had a successful business trip and show without this hotel and it's wonderful staff

    « Dirty Underwear/diarrhea room »

Never stay here again. Dirty underwear in the room. Poorly handled by staff by dismissive attitude and moved us into a room that smelled like diarrhea. Again, dismissive attitude from staff and no compensation was offered. Shuffled around after a long drive from dirty to stinky room. Third room was fine but very noisy. Would not recommend or return to this hotel EVER.

« Pretty good, and the restaurant makes it better »

Comfortable rooms and far enough from the interstate to be fairly quiet. What makes this hotel better than its neighbors is the attached restaurant. A nice menu, lots of TV screens and good service. The coffee in the morning was good, too. We quite enjoyed our appetizers as well.

    « A great place to stay »

Even though we were only here 1 night, our stay was great. The staff was terrific, the restaurant food and staff were excellent, the accommodations were just right, and we loved the fact there was an enclosed grass area for pets. We will definitely stay here again when driving through town.

« Three pleasant nights here »

I spent 3 nights at this hotel recently. The staff are very helpful and gracious, and the bed was comfortable with a choice of different pillows. It seemed clean though not fancy. Everything I needed was in the room and I was very comfortable. The hotel breakfast is good, but crowded mid-morning on weekends. Try to avoid using the first floor restroom. It was filthy. Likely due to the fact that the Perkins cafe is connected to the hotel and the restroom must be heavily used by those customers.

    4
« Nice hotel, needs some attention »

Exterior door to hall had been vandalized and the lock removed. Once you got into the room, it was nice, although the A/C wouldn't cool the room to our preference (68 F). Quite busy in the lobby - there is a bar and restaurant. And no breakfast buffet was included, as we are used to having in a BW property.

    2
    « BAADD »

Falling apart! didnt fix the room we asked them too. Poor service in the restraunt. Things are broken and no one wants to fix them either! When we called no alternative was offered with the issues we had. They didnt offer a discount or a new room to go to.

    « Great value »

My room was very clean, the lobby, hallways and restaurant were all very clean. My bed was comfortable. The price was reasonable for the area. The staff was pleasant and courteous. I will definitely stay here again. I highly recommend this hotel if you are in the area. A+ .

    « Bozeman »

The appearance of the hotel was not great and neither were the rooms. This hotel needs a face lift with more modern furniture and bathroom fixtures and in the lobby. The beds were comfortable and the food in the restaurant was superb along with the staff at the hotel.

    « Typical Best Western »

This is a typical Best Western with lousy beds and pillows. Walls appear to be "Paper Thin". The noises from outside the room were terrible most of the night. In the room, there were two electrical outlets that did not work. The single cup coffee pot did not work. At registration, I was given the key for rm 152, and soon after getting to the room, some other people opened the door and entered and saw me, and we then proceeded to the front desk to solve this issue. i then was given the key to another room 2 doors away. This really wasn't an issue in that I was alone and had only one small bag and a laptop to move. As far as this issue was concerned, it was a minor human error.

    « Beautiful hotel »

This was a lovely hotel--seemed very new and modern. We had a king suite which had a half wall that divided the room--the headboard with the king bed was against one side of the dividing wall and a pull-out sofa on rested against the other side of the wall. It gave the illusion of privacy but yet togetherness. There were TV's on each half of the room along with a fridge and microwave. Bathroom was spacious with sinks both inside the bathroom and outside the bathroom. There was a great looking pool that we did not try, nor did we use their shuttle or restaurant. The computers in the lobby area worked great for printing boarding passes. We needed an extra pillow which they brought promptly.

    4
    « Great Service »

Was there for a conference. the hotel staff was great. The Club had good food and the service was excellent. The hotel is very clean. The rooms are updated, clean and nice.. one small complaint, the vanity was a bit small - not enough space to put your things out. But overall - the service was great!

Well run restuarant/bar. The room was clean and I reserved it the afternoon of my stay, so wound up paying a premium price due to the football game the next day. Although the room was a bit small for the money it was clean and well supplied. I would use them again.

Best Hotel in Bozeman. Great atmosphere. Rooms are getting dated, but are always clean. Lounge is second to none in Bozeman. Location is great, and food is good and quick. Our room was looking down on pool, and even the kids having fun didn't keep us awake. Front desk workers are very helpful and friendly.

« Comfortable hotel, convenient location »

We have stayed here many times, convenient location for Interstate and downtown. Rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet. Elevator can be a long way from some rooms, but several stair accesses. Restaurant/sports bar is reasonable, but lots of other choices nearby. Room rates are based on demand and are at the top end for this type of facility.

« The "Best" Best Western »

I stay here annually when I'm in Bozeman for a gathering. The hotel is very nice with clean comfortable rooms. There is a nice indoor pool and atrium area to relax in. One is my favorite things about the Grantree is the restaurant attached. The Club Tavern and Grill is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I have enjoyed many meals in The Club and the food does not disappoint. It's a bit of a sports bar so it gets very busy during games. There is also a small casino inside the hotel. There are a few rooms that face the atrium/indoor pool. It can be a little noisy outside these rooms if the pool is being used or if there is an event. There was once a banquet going on right outside my window. The front desk is more than happy to assign an outward facing room upon check in if you ask. Be sure to check out the Grantree when in Bozeman. "Best" stay you will have.

    « Conference Solitude »

We only live a little less than 100 miles away, but we were attending a 4 day conference in Bozeman. We wanted to be well rested on our 1st day so we stayed the night before our conference started. Each night after the conclusion of the conference, we were able to escape to our room, the restaurant, the pool and hot tub. We woke up each morning. Well rested and prepared for that day at the conference. Good accommodations and great staff!

    « Best Western Surprise! »

We flew into Bozeman the day prior to our Ranch Vacation at The Ranch at Rock Creek. We were supposed to stay at the Holiday Inn next door, but after walking to the Best Western to have a cocktail, we knew we needed to see if they had a room. The staff and manager were amazing and so understanding of our wanting to change hotels after already checking into the other hotel. They assisted us in moving our bags and getting us to a beautiful room. The restaurant/lounge was so much fun and the food delicious! They even had a small casino! Would definitely stay again!

« They take advantage of you »

First off we are a Best Western Gold member. We have stayed at over 100 BW's in the last 3 years. This was/is the worst. They jack up the price by 75% on Montana State Bobcat football weekends. Not only do they rip off the fans, the really rip off the poor guy traveling through. Secondly, while checking in, you have to deal with rude drunks who have terribly been over served at the bar 30 feet away, and plugging up the check in area drooling over themselves. Third, the agent at the counter wearing a Bobcat football jersey, is more interested in watching the drunks then helping us check in after a 500 mile drive. Fourth, the hallways to the rooms are not even 7 feet tall. Really? being 6-8 you really get the feeling of being trapped in a cave. Who has less than 8 foot ceiling in a commercial building? Fifth, the bed sucks. If we didn't know better, you would think it was a waterbed from the 70's. You blink and the bed moves. And to top all this off, every BW Plus we have stayed at, again over 100 have all served a free hot breakfast. Not a continental, but a nice hot breakfast that was included in the price. Some if not set up for hot breakfasts, would give you a coupon to walk next door for a nice free breakfast. This place you could have gone into the bar that smells like rotten alcohol and purchased a breakfast in which the special was $12. Really! When I asked the desk clerk why this Plus hotel didn't have the free breakfast, she stated, "Our customers didn't like the free breakfast." This hotel needs to check around with the others. Because if their customers didn't like it, it's because they were not doing it right. The only one I can think of who doesn't like the free breakfast is the individual owner of this Franchise hotel. We will never stay at this hotel, and will advise anyone we can not to stay her either. We will still be loyal BW customers unless this becomes their standard. Hope not.

    « First stop on a tour »

We stayed one night but found the customer service exemplary. Early check in was a relief. Free shuttle to town made exploring convenient. Second floor room was in an inconvenient location. Tour group food was mediocre but regular breakfast was good. And I love hot showers.

« Visit family in Minot »

We stayed here two nights, 8/29 then again 6/3. Reason I book this place was experience (free breakfast) which they no longer have. Still the rooms are clean, reasonable TV and the restaurant dinner selections were well rounded and very good but no breakfast???

    4
    « Extra for breakfast »

The room was clean and comfortable, the staff nice and professional. We had a small moving van, and the parking lot accommodated our van. The freeway and gas stations are convenient to this hotel. There is also dining nearby. My main complaint was that breakfast was extra because there is a restaurant attached to the hotel.

« There is no Plus in this Best Western »

This place right off I-90 is in serious need of updating. Creepy low halllways, rooms facing the indoor pool that all you hear are kids screaming. No free breakfast, which I thought was part of the "plus" in Best Western Plus. Hostile staff, or just plain absent at check out. Had to wait 20 minutes after 7 am to check out. Will not stay here again.

« I traveled to Bozeman with my 5 year old son to visit the Museum of the Rockies for the dinosaur exhibit. »

I arrived and checked in on Sunday August 14, 2016 and checked out Tuesday August 16, 2016. The room was very clean and cozy, located next to the pool for me to take my son swimming. Everything was great except for when I went to check out. I had made my reservations by telephone for the room a few hours before our arrival and mentioned to the young man assisting me on the other end the website had the room listed for $138 per night and he confirmed the price and that there would be state tax added at the time of checkout. When I checked out I was disappointed to find out in order for me to get the price confirmed I needed to book everything online and because I had booked the room on the phone the price was much different. Sunday night cost me $159.99 plus tax and Monday night was $199.99 plus tax. I was not made aware of the extra cost for reserving my room. The price difference was $83.98 plus tax extra, not a huge amount, but still a little more than I was aware of. I am recently separated due to my wife leaving me for another man and I was wanting to make some special memories with my little boy, it cost a little more than my budget was expecting, but worth every minute with my son. I'll take this as a lesson learned and make sure I book my room online next time to help save a little bit to afford a few more souvenirs on our way home. The young lady at the front desk was very apologetic and kind in explaining my misunderstanding.

« Stop on way to Yellowstone »

Rooms were not the best. No breakfast. Staff rude. Did not know there was an Art show going on. So busy crazy. 40 minute wait for dinner. We had 4 small children. Not a fun experience. The pool was closed due to the art show. Disappointing.

    « Not Best Western's Usual Quality »

We've stayed in at least 10 Best Westerns on our recent road trip and this one did not meet our usual expectations. The fitness center was across a parking lot, up the stairs above a convenience store, there was no breakfast whatsoever and the coffee pot in the lobby was empty in the morning. We were not offered discounts for the restaurant on the premises and it was a bar/casino which we would not have visited anyway. We were not greeted with anything (i.e. water bottles, cookies, newspaper, wine/cheese, or our name on the "welcome preferred guest" sign) although we have been Best Western Rewards member for many years. We asked not to be around kids or pets but the room we were given was a poolside room. To her credit, the front desk clerk tracked me down and moved us to the handicap room which was in a quieter place in the building and close to the parking lot. The bed was very comfortable, but not comfortable enough to justify the cost of this place.

    2
    « Save your money »

They must think very highly of themselves. This place is extremely overpriced for what you get. We are used to going to sleep around 9 p.m. Our room was next to the pool. A little after 10, the noise from the area was overwhelming. I called the desk, and complained, to no avail. About 15 minutes later I called and said that I probably would want a refund. That got the pool closed. Perhaps they should close their pool at 9, or enforce their 10 o'clock closure. Walking through the sitting area to get coffee in the lobby, I noticed wet towels along the couches. Additionally, there is no complimentary breakfast. After paying around $157 for a night, you would not expect to fork out another 12-15 dollars for a breakfast. Pet friendly...it would be nice if folks would let their dogs eliminate in the designated area instead of in the grass median in the parking lot. SAVE YOUR MONEY...Consider the Hampton Inn or similar where you can receive cleanliness, breakfast, as well as quiet for your bucks.

    « Very helpful staff »

The staff at this hotel are very helpful and friendly. The Club is a restaurant/ lounge is very nice. There is no free breakfast unless you choose that option at check-in. Bozeman is an expensive place to stay in general and the rates at this hotel reflect that.

« Top Notch Conference Center »

I recently held SafetyFestMT, a multi-track training event that lasted three days and we couldn't have picked a better spot. The staff was responsive to our every need and often anticipated what we did need. The catering crew was wonderful to work with and deserve a big kudos. The only complaint we heard from participants was how warm the atrium was, everything else was wonderful. We'll definitely be back!

« Very Outdated, 7 foot ceilings in Hallways »

We love Bozeman and travel there frequently for work or to go fishing. The check in staff act as if you are interrupting something important to check you in. Almost always the check in staff are unable to find our reservation. It is painful. This hotel has had a room update which is attractive. The low ceilings make you feel like you are in a dungeon. My 6' 3" husband has to duck as he walks part of the halls. I am 5'3" and I can touch the ceilings standing flat footed. The employees stand right outside the exit doors and smoke. It is so awful when you walk outside to 2nd hand smoke. It has a great restaurant/lounge but we don't spend more than a few minutes of our stay there...we only stay at this hotel because we are BW Diamond rewards members and it is the only BW in Bozeman. This is a very average property at best.

    2
    « no security »

My vehicle was broken into overnight and I understand This is a common problem. There no security and management appeared not to care. I noticed the motel vans were moved to the entrance at night for protection so i am quite sure there have been other problems.

« Worst BW experience ever »

We do love BW hotels. However, this one in Boseman is an exception. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The bed was the worst BW bed we've ever experienced, the room was dirty (not clean), the check in staff refused to work with us.

    « Not a happy anniversary »

We use best westerns alot.. my husband stays 2 nights a week out of town and we travel quite a bit.. I've stayed at this best western before and haven't had too many problems. We reserved a room in advance, as we always do, checked in and was told we were upgraded due to our diamond elite status.. REALLY!! get to the room, instead of 2 queen beds we now had 1 king and a pull out couch?! We were traveling with our 17 year old daughter.. why would she want to sleep on a couch bed!! We were not too happy but we're late with our anniversary plans. When we came back we found the pull out couch was broken. Couldn't be fixed and we're told they didn't have another room.. the next morning the front desk really kind of dismissed our complaints. I like best western but will never stay at the Bozeman location

    « Newly renovated room »

Customer service was exceptional, room was newly renovated and quiet, bed was comfortable. The location of the hotel is right off I-15, so easy to find. My room was clean (carpet, bathroom, etc.). Because the hotel is set back from any roads, the setting is quiet.

    3
« Pool was gross, otherwise fine stay »

Stayed one night. The room was standard size and there were no issues. The beds were comfy and the temperature very pleasant. Our towels had been folded into interesting animals shapes, which was a nice touch. The pool area was nice sized and indoors. The pool was a bit gross, murky with things floating in it. The hot tub was enjoyable. You could tell the pool area had not been serviced in some time though, and there were also no bathing towels. The pool/hot tub experience is a big part of my stay, so that was disappointing.

    4
    « Wow, spendy »

Nice hotel but very expensive this time of year. Bed is comfortable, tv larger then normal. Bathroom is very clean and has all the little stuff that make you glad you chose this hotel. They have a bar and nigh club in the hotel that is very popular in the community. When you check in you get a free drink coupon. Great place to stay if you only need one room. Multiple rooms could be very costly.

    2
« The Place to check out before staying. »

I would not stay here again unless changes are made. Hallways had odor, Hot water was not, beds leaned, mold in shower was painted over but still came through. It was not worth the price. The front desk gave a courtesy call to see if we were going to stay. That was fine--but we received 3 calls within a few minutes-- 2 hours before arrival. No records? No complimentary breakfast. It was the most expensive BW+ in our travels but would not rate a "Plus" in my book, just a Best Western with high prices and misleading amenity list.

    3
    « Just another hotel. »

Stay at the hotel for business so I could be close to the airport. Just needed a place to hang my hat for one night. The hotel is average and nothing special. I was surprised by the cost for one night stay, for what I get for the money, nothing great. They have a restaurant on location and the burgers are outstanding. If nothing else, stop in for a meal or a cold beer and watch the several TV on the wall. They do offer a free shuttle to the airport.

    4
« Some hits .. Some misses but overall good »

It's interesting that we stayed at a BW just a few days before that really blew us away and this one did too just not in the same way. Our first night was a one rate then jumped on the 2nd, the room didn't change, the maid service didn't even service our room (at our request), it wasn't painted or remodeled overnight so the rate should have stayed flat but it didn't which influenced our decision to use the property again on our 2nd pass through town. The Excellent Points: A cute (Russian I believe) waitress named Lucy (I hope I'm getting this right), she made our restaurant experience awesome, bubbly, great personality, great service, just a great staffer and a huge benefit to the property. The good points: Pet Friendly (Super Important), clean but slightly dated rooms, large property with lots of rooms, friendly staff, great restaurant with great food, smoke free casino (not of interest to us but smoke free was nice), conveniently located. Honestly there were a couple of "Not So Good" points but they weren't worth the mention, I had a long discussion with the proprietor about our experience and I get the feeling he really cares about his property but sadly as we later found out on our return, there is newer and nicer 1 exit away.

« We were expecting so much more from a BW PLUS »

Checkin was not pleasant. After a long drive we just wanted to get to our room.My family was in the car waiting while I checked in. The desk clerk was busy on the phone with a guest about prices etc.and did not even acknowledge me. It seemed like at least 15 minutes, but may not have been. IMHO a person in front of you should take priority over someone on the phone. I requested a room near the elevator, but did not get one. I asked for a luggage cart and she haphazardly pointed around the corner. I looked down the hall and did not see one. Turns out they are in an alcove off the hallway. But she did not say that, which we found when we went to get dinner. I got the keys & wanted to find the room so my 80 yr old mother did not have to walk too far. The room was on the other side of the hotel that did not have an elevator so the only option was to make mom climb steep stairs or take the elevator and walk the distance. It was a long walk for her. Combined with no luggage cart we had to drag our suitcases through the whole hotel!! I chose this hotel for the casino which did not impress my sisters. The room was nice, the beds were comfortable. The girl at the desk needs some serious training.

    « Well Done »

Instead of using the internet to book my stay, I decided to call with a few questions I didn't see answered on the site. The call was answered quickly and professionally, soon I had a clean, comfortable room booked and was a rewards member. Definitely try the restaurant. It was great.

    « One Stop! »

Wanted to use our Best Western Rewards and GranTree did have the best price after searching around on the web. Prices for rooms seem generally on the high end in Bozeman. Our room was a bit on the small side. We stayed 4 nights. We asked for a room close the exit and they were very accommodating. The pool is in the middle of the facility so a little noisy but a great way to keep an eye on kids. The walk downtown was just lovely. Surrounded by great historical sites. The restaurant in the hotel has great food and very reasonable prices. Staff was very friendly.

« Seriously overpriced for what you get »

Stayed here for 1 night on transit to Portland. Hotel is old and in need of upgrading. Hotel is overpriced for what you get. We had a two queen beds for 2 adults & 1 child. As soon as you opened the door and walked into the room it had a mouldy smell. Room was a little small but tidy and fairly clean (not to my standard- a little OCD). One of the beds squeaked everytime you rolled over, air conditioning was noisy (we had to turn off). Room had small fridge and microwave. Restaurant is onsite but we didn't eat there. The jury is still out on whether we would stay again or recommend to friends.

The Gran Tree is a "one stop" place for hotel service when traveling. Easy access, quality food and excellent customer service. Easy access off of Interstate 90 as well as a quick trip to downtown Bozeman. Excellent for business and pleasure.

« Yes, please and thank you »

I loved this experience at Bst Western Plus Gran Tree Inn. In fact I joined their rewards program after my stay because I enjoyed it so much. The room was great! I don't know if I've been this comfortable away from home in a while.

the hotel is clean and quiet, the beds are comfotrable. it is a well taken care of hotel. good place to stay for a weekend. easy access to and from interstate.rooms are a little pricy for the night, but over all it is a very good place to stay.

    « A great place to stay »

Even though we were only here for 1 night, our stay was great. The staff was terrific, the restaurant food and staff was excellent, the accommodations were just right, and we loved the fact there was an enclosed grass area for pets. We will definitely stay here again when driving through town.

    « Good but expensive »

This is a pet-friendly hotel and these rooms are on the first floor which is really nice. The room was clean and there was not pet smells. It was pretty expensive though, $229 which is way high for what you get in a room. There is no free breakfast. The pet area outside was large and "waste-bags" were available there. A good place, but too expensive. Bozemen is a beautiful town, and the highway South to West Yellowstone is stunning in beauty.

« Clean and comfortable country hotel »

This is a very clean and comfortable country hotel. Nothing pretentious just simple and good hospitality. The bar and restaurant are both good with several options available. They offer a 2 for 1 deal on arrival at both the bar for a drink and restaurant for coffee. The restaurant serves good home style meals steak, fish, chicken all with soup, salad and potatoes. For dinner t is open until 10pm then there is room service. Breakfast starts at 6am and is similarly wholesome.

« Great Staff, Good Food, Works for Chemical Sensitivity »

The Best Western GranTree is an excellent choice. The staff has been well-trained and are intelligent and helpful. The hotel has been upgraded with an elevator and various amenities. The restaurant is outstanding. I had a filet for dinner and it was as good as any I've had in 5star restaurants. The bar has a good variety and the bartender is the best. I have food allergies and chemical sensitivity and this hotel is a safe and comfortable place for me.

I stayed at this hotel for a few days. Was quite good. Good menu at the sportbar, only portions were very big. Too much meat for me. Pool is a bit small. But very good hotel for the four nights I stayed.

« Beautiful scenery and friendly staff »

This hotel has a beautiful view of mountains and a mini casino attached. The Club restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and has a patio for outside dining. Free coffee throughout the day along with lemon water. There is a small indoor pool. My room was clean, my bed comfortable and has a mini fridge and microwave. Also, iron and ironing board. Shower/tub and toilet separate from sink/vanity area. Conveniently across the street from Walmart for items that you may need or forgot. Gas station with Arby's inside is in the same parking lot. Right in front of hotel. Van shuttle to and from hotel and will also take you within a couple of miles. Including downtown area. Downtown is really a street that has quaint shops and restaurants. Great hotel if you have a car and/or passing by and need a place to stay. If not, not much to do.

« Needs a lot of work and training »

Stayed here for one night and was not impressed. Not usual Best Western standard or experience. The downstairs hallway smelled of sewage and looked unclean and old. The room was OK except the air conditioner was so loud, old and noisy, that one either had it on and lay awake or turned it off and roasted in bed. The staff was pleasant but not very knowledgeable. It seemed everyone was being trained. The front desk agent did not know how to check us in. The phone receptionist did not know how a guest could retrieve a phone message from their room. When checking out the morning staff were doing their audit so no receipt was available. They promised to send one by email but a week later we have not seen one. The restaurant was fine, very busy and noisy but good food and pleasant service

    « Needs work. »

Could not set the ac below 68 and the room never got below 72 and was very humid. To hot to sleep. AC sounded like a 747 at take off. Pool noise was excessive and they didn't close it at 10PM. People were making noise at midnight.

    « Dinner »

After a long day's drive, we stopped at the Best Western in Bozeman. Saw that there was a bar and restaurant off the lobby, so went in there and sat at the bar. It was absolutely the right choice. Our bartender--Matt-- was great. Helpful advice on the dinner menu, and a great pour with our drinks. It was a great pre-fishing-trip dinner. Well worth every penny.

    3
« Great place to sleep but that's about it. »

Very upsetting that Best Western allows the signature "plus" with no breakfast. I don't pay a premium to be told "the restaurant is reasonably priced". Ugh. Otherwise the facility was amazing. Beds were great, TV was big, large rooms, surroundings were beautiful.

    « Nice »

Most Bozeman hotels seen overpriced to me. I'm accustomed to paying about half this much for an equivalent room most places we travel. This was a reunion group, and our buffet dinner and brunch were very good, as was the one meal we ate in the restaurant. The room was quiet and clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We were able to have premeal gatherings in the courtyard and the atrium, and pleased to be able to do the gatherings and food all where we were staying.

    « What happened? »

We have booked the GranTree a half dozen or so times in the past few years. We often book 8-15 rooms for our business in Bozeman. The service has always been good and the amenities decent until this last trip. Something is very wrong here. With one exception, a local high school student , the management appears to have uniformly stopped training any of their desk personnel. When I brought my laundry down to the desk in the morning, three times I was told by the morning desk person that she didn't know what to do with laundry. One time I was told I could do it myself. Not the advice I was looking for. The last night I was there the laundry I had brought in two days earlier was still not returned. One of the desk people told me they had no control over when my laundry could be returned. Since I was out of the hotel by 4:30 am, I told them they could FedEx it to me for Monday delivery. I told them that I would not pay the bill for a dozen or so rooms until I had a FedEx weigh bill number showing the laundry was returned...miracle of miracles, they were able to 'find' my laundry and return it me by 8:30pm. Earlier that week the power went out. Internet went with it. It came back on relatively quickly and by the next morning was working fine...except in my room. I made several trips to the front desk and I was repeatedly told that there was a phone number in my desk to trouble-shoot internet problems. I repeatedly told the people at the front desk that my devices worked everywhere else in the building and that I had even brought an associate's computer to my room, that worked fine in his room, and it would not work in my room. I did finall get service back after three days and an apology from the managing partner. So here's the rub. Management at this previously good hotel has allowed this lousy situation to develop. It's untenable in a service business to tell customers that they are the problem. It's untenable in a service business to allow the face of the business, the desk people, to begin any sentence with anything other than,'How can I help you resolve this?' or, 'Let's see if I can find out what's going on here? Or even, "I don't know the answer to that, but I will find out and contact you.' Management is responsible for teaching the staff basic protocols. The only person who followed that rule was a high school girl who seemed to be really committed to making our stay comfortable and positive. She patiently listened to my whining and outrage and told me she would fix the problem and she did. Perhaps she should be running the Gran Tree. I'm sure she would do a far better job than the current management team.

    « Best Hotel Ever! »

Stayed here on business and didn't want to leave! The views are beautiful, yet it's close to Main St and all the activities of Bozeman. In the morning a wonderful breakfast is available for free in the lobby and warm cookies all day long. The bed was the most comfortable I've ever slept in...EVER! and the pool was clean and warm. Lots of free travel brochures available, the staff was very helpful...Couldn't ask for more! The place was so wonderful I extended my stay and was reprimanded at my job....but worth it!!

    « disappointed!! »

We made our reservations almost a year ahead of time so we could get our request for a non-smoking, king bed room close to the elevator due to my husband having a hard time walking. When we got there they had put us in an outrageously priced suite (not requested) as far away from the elevator as possible. The manager eventually put us in another room (the Wedding Suite, Again, Not requested) which was uncomfortable. No continental breakfast. The hotel was not the quality we have come to expect from a Best Western

« Acceptable hotel with excellent bar and restaurant »

I was in Bozeman for a conference and this was the hotel chosen by the coordinator. It is an older hotel that has been updated. Bathroom was very small with sink and mirror out in the room. The bed was comfortable and it was clean. I did enjoy the restaurant and bar in the hotel which increased the rating by a star. The food was excellent and the staff at the bar and restaurant was very friendly.

« Do not stay here »

I cannot believe how extremely inept the staff is. They told me my reservation, booked through travelocity on Jul 12, 2015, was inexplicably "cancelled" on March 20th so we were "upgraded" to a King Suite for the same cost as my original 4 night booking. Then I was called the next day to say I was a "no show" for the previous day by the same clerk, who check us in?! I explained who I was and how she "resolved" my problem. Then later that day I was called by a different clerk who asked if we were staying longer because we hadn't checked out?? Really. I explained how my reservation had been "fixed" and so she said she'd make the corrections, again because we were only booked in the room for one night. So I asked her to confirm our charges for the room, because my daughter actually paid with a debit card, but I had reserved it online with my credit card. No the charges were all completely wrong and my daughter had been charged over $800 was a room were only supposedly had been scheduled to have for one night?? That was almost double my original rate with taxes. My daughter got her charges corrected. Then I checked my credit card statement online and discovered I was also charged for my first night's stay. I've called again and fully expect a refund; however, I will never recommend this hotel to anyone, ever! They cannot get anything right even when trying. Unbelievable!! Oh and the room was not that great.

« The Best Best Western »

This was the best Best Western I've ever stayed at. Staff was friendly, helpful, courteous; property was clean, well maintained and the room was well laid out. Breakfast buffet had good variety. Highly recommend it for stays in Whitefish.

    « Clean & Comfortable »

The room was beautiful. The bed was so comfortable. Extremely clean room. Disappointed as this was one of the only Best Western hotels we stayed at that did not offer any type of free breakfast, could be because there is a restaurant located on the premises.

« Customer service is important to me, but apparently not this Best Western »

When we visit Bozeman we have always stayed here...until now. We were there for a medical procedure and needed a good night's sleep, which shouldn't be can issue. At 4:30 am our room was overpowered by a harsh chemical smell, and in the hallway too. It was truly horrible. I called the front desk and the young man said they were stripping the floors in the lobby. We could not open a window because our room was by the pool. There was no escaping this harsh chemical smell that we frankly did not ask to be exposed to. I was up for the rest of the morning feeling sick. My husband inquired about compensation at the front and was told "sorry." I too inquired at the desk when I checked our and was told "that's weird." I got a survey from Best Western today and made my concerns clear. Unless they can provide some compensation for loyal customers we will be staying at one of the numerous other options in Bozeman. I would now recommend others find motels that value their customers and avoid the GranTree.

The staff was wonderful and made us feel very welcome. The room and facilities were clean and in great shape. Just a very nice stay. The location is great too. The on-site restaurant serves very good food and the lounge has some fun machines to play and nice staff.

« Not worth the price »

This hotel was VERY clean. The price does not create value. This property is over priced. Had breakfast been included, or had the rooms been upgraded (bathroom upgrades) this might have been a more reasonable price. I paid $150 for one night and was disappointed.

    « Grantree Inn »

I have stayed for 10 years this time of year for a Building Codes conference. This year, like in years past, my stay was excellent. The meals prepared were of high quality despite the increasing numbers attending the conference. Rooms were adorned this year with new carpet and drapes. Size of rooms was more than adequate and the staff was just great!

« Gym is across the parking lot and little parking. »

If you plan to use the fitness center, get there during daylight. It is across the dimly lit parking lot in another building to make room for the event seating. Get there early enough to get a parking spot if there is an event being held there.

« Not much bang for buck »

Meh... we stayed in a king suite with our dog and chose this hotel because they allow pets. After leaving dry dog food in a dish on the floor for about three hours, it was crawling with itty bitty ants. Not sure how they got to the middle of the floor since I couldn't see a trail. We had to toss the food. Hallways and business area smelled like the pool, which didn't have towels stocked. Didn't try the hotel restaurant because it was overpriced and there are many options on Main Street. In room coffee was OK but powdered creamer? C'mon. My fault that I didn't check for breakfast included. It's not. Overall, underwhelmed. Oh, and a non-verbal toddler knocked on our door at midnight. Luckily passersby saw the direction from where he came and we were able to return him to his sleeping mom who left the door cracked. Not the hotel's problem but strange none the less.

    « Why we didn't stay here »

Many months ago we made a reservation at a different property in Bozeman for a one-night, pre-flight stay. Upon finding out that the property did not offer an early morning shuttle to the airport, we researched our options. Best Western Gran Tree Inn advertised 24/7 shuttle service. I called the hotel directly and was assured they ran 2 shuttles continuously and we could expect to have a wait of no more than 20 -30 minutes. So we cancelled our other reservation and booked a room at BW Gran Tree at a higher rate based solely on the availability of the shuttle. Prior to returning our rental car, we dropped our luggage at the hotel; hoping to avoid the hassle of having the shuttle driver haul the ski tube, etc., on the shuttle. We were asked to leave our belongings behind the front desk, which was fine. The we were informed that we would have an extended wait at the airport because they were runnning only one shuttle due to a driver calling in, and the next trip was fully booked (so we'd need to wait for the second round trip, over an hour). We had no option since our rental car was due back. When we got to the airport we noticed the shuttle sitting out side completely empty. We approached the driver and were told that he couldn't fit us on the shuttle as they had a contract with Delta to meet their flights. We informed him that we were going back inside to rent a car. When we arrived back at the hotel, our room was still not ready. The front desk clerk was very rude, told me there was no one to speak with about the shuttle inconvenience and scolded us for not calling them back to say we didn't need the shuttle "Don't you have a cell phone?", she asked. She inferred that he made the trip just for us, then admitted there was another passenger needing transportation. We told her we spoke with the driver. We sat to wait for our room and observed the front desk area (and all of our luggage) being left unattended multiple times while she went to run errands. At this point we decided to go elsewhere and it was a great decision. We had enough time to go behind the desk, remove all of our luggage and pull up the car to load it - all unobserved. Poor security and customer service. We understand the difficulties with being short-staffed, and would have been content with some sort of acknowledgement of the inconvenience. The positive side to all of this is we found a terrific lodging option at a better price! Comfort Suites on Catamount.

    « Totally Disorganized »

Our room was ready at check-in time. The gave us a room and then called us back to give us another. When we fought our way to the room through a group of people setting up for some event, the key didn't work and we had to get another. The rooms themselves are ok, but dated and dark. Ours was just off the parking lot and was therefore somewhat noisy. The worst part about the hotel, however, is its location. It is about a mile out of town and its shuttle service is very poor. The hotel shuttle took us to town the morning of the afternoon we were to leave for the airport. We checked our luggage at the hotel and arranged for (i.e. made a reservation) a return shuttle to the hotel and out to the airport. (Taxis are essentially non-existent in Bozeman.) Well, when it came time to return to the hotel and get our luggage, the hotel informed us they were too busy to send the shuttle for us. (The cab wouldn't promise pickup for 2 1/2 hours.) So, we walked. That was fine, but not what we expected. The real problem was when we got back to the hotel and it came time to take our reserved shuttle to the airport. NO SHUTTLE DRIVER! The driver wasn't too busy: he was a no-show. After much pleading with someone on the phone, one of the desk clerks left the desk and came back with the keys to the shuttle and drove us to the airport. She deserved and received a very nice tip. The hotel deserves and now receives a very poor rating. It was just a mess from check-in to check-out and beyond.

    « Very pleased »

The customer service was good and my room was comfortable, spacious and clean. Most of all, the room seemed very well insulated from outside noise, so a good nite's sleep came easily. The hotel has a restaurant; had a delicious breakfast there and the service was perfect. Also, the hotel will shuttle you to historic downtown; however, it is within easy walking distance - about a mile. Great place and I will definitely return!

    « Can't praise enough »

As a business traveler i have stayed at many hotels around the globe. I normally stay at Best Western in the US, although at times i've arrived to find them in seedy neighborhoods, GranTree Inn however is not one of those. They are by far the best hotel i've ever stayed in for the price. The rooms are spacious and clean, the bed is comfortable, their rewards program often give me upgrades and the property is immaculate. The staff, I can't praise enough. The attached restaurant is good, however it's claim to be an upscale restaurant is questionable. Overall it very much deserves my excellent rating. I travel to Bozeman 2-3 times a year and would never consider staying anywhere else. It's top notch and you won't be disappointed!

« Second Hotel in Bozeman and the Best »

After I got bumped on flight out of Bozeman, we ended up a Gran Tree. Complimentary shuttle at all hours (paid for cab at other hotel because of limited shuttle hours). Staff was friendly and offered some coupons at check-in. Room was comfy. This had an in-house restaurant and bar. Internet was good. When I had to return because of another flight problem, I was assigned to same room as requested. Restaurant was good and waitstaff friendly. I would recommend this hotel!

    2
    « no ammenities »

We were very disappointed in this hotel. The rooms was nice and clean but they charged for everything but the ice. The restaurant was expensive. $1.25 for a slice of cheese on the $11 burger. The food was ok and the ambiance was ok, too, I guess. Our room had no outside view, it looked in on the pool where we had a view of all the swimmers. It was quiet enough, though. The bed was comfortable and the room was warm. They should watch out for getting a reputation for being cheapskates.

    3
    « Comfortable »

This Hotel is starting to show some age and could use some updates. We have stayed exclusively at BW's this trip and this one was comfortable but generally showed it's age. Still the restaurant was very nice and was a local "hot spot" I think as very busy and lots of good food on the menu.

    4
    « Rates negotiable »

Good place to stay. Rates are negotiable if you ask for the lowest rate. Otherwise you will pay full too prices. Clean rooms with access to poolside fun and games. If you need quiet- do not get a room along the pool. Restaurant had fast friendly service.

« Big rooms, no breakfast »

While the ceilings in the hallways are low, the room are impressively spacious. This hotel is a long way from Main Street and the University, but it is located on a main road so access is easy. My room was next to a stairwell, but the noise wasn't too bad. There was a decent sized TV, a microwave, a safe, and a refrigerator. The work desk is uncomfortable for work, being too low and not easy to adjust the chair and still fit under the desk. The wifi is free. The bathroom was plain, the handbasin very small and cluttered. The toilet took a long time to flush. There was a nail sticking out from the mirror.

Since our last stay, they have added a nominal fee for dogs. Beds were very comfortable and room was nice and clean. The bathroom set up is not very handy--reach down to touch your toes to get a kleenex--and no garbage can in the bathroom or sink area. Hot tub and pool area was nice.

    « Nice, but overpriced. »

I stayed here with my granddaughter and my dog on November 5th which is a Wednesday. My total price ended up being $147.00 and change for the night. This is not a hundred and fifty a night hotel. My daughter ordered a steak and it was the worst steak ever. The texture was pasty. On the other hand the Creme Caramel was fantastic and the two other meals we ordered were good. The wait staff is extremely attentive and the waitress in the morning even made cinnamon sugar toast for my granddaughter. The beds were fine. The pool was a perfect temperature but the hot tub was scalding, and I like a hot tub hot!

« Not so sweet suite.... »

When we arrived we were greeted pleasantly by a very nice young lady. She said the rate for tonight was $239.."Wow" I said. Why so much. Football game at the college...OK but we aren't going to the foot ball game. After a few comments and with the supervisor looking over her shoulder we were offered $159 (with tax was $172) and given a suite, I think only because we are diamond members. "OK, sounds good". To get to the "suite" we had to go through the laundry room, and I mean the hotel laundry room, not the guest laundry. The hallway was full of piled high dirty sheets, comforters and towels. Warm day and it smelled terrible. Our room was right next door, of course, in the back of the building. It was pretty much a partly remodeled handicap room, they must have installed a bath tub. No padding under the carpet so the floor was very hard. Broken corner of the low sink with the 2x4's sticking out. The king bed was almost as hard as the floor. On the "up"side we had 2 televisions. One for watching in bed and one for watching in the living room corner and a Jacuzzi. The furniture was clean and adequate, but lacked any personality. The shower was great. It was a very large room and clean so I shouldn't complain. I'm only saying it was not worth $159 per night, let alone $239. Also, we were on our own for breakfast. The only other BW we have encountered with such a high price was in Sonoma, Ca. in the vineyard area, and that room was beautiful, nice furniture, great bed and included a bottle of wine. Best Western in Palm Springs was not as expensive as "Bozeman". This was our 2nd time at this hotel, we won't give it a 3rd try. Dinner at the bar and grill restaurant in the hotel was pleasant enough, but the food was only just ok and very expensive. Nice waitresses and front counter people but I felt like because we were not going to pay top dollar, we were stuck in the room they save for last arrivals. It was just ok.. not great.

    « A nice place to stay »

A friendly, accommodating staff greeted us at this attractive, modern facility. It was easy for us to swap a double queen room for a king. Our room was large, very clean, well furnished, quiet, and inviting. One downside is that it is a very long walk to the restaurant or front desk if you have a room at the far end of the building. The building has two stories, and they're installing two elevators that should be operational soon. We had a problem with our large flatscreen TV: neither the supplied remote or a replacement could get the TV to change channels or volume, or turn the set on or off. We had to use the tiny buttons on the side of the set to operate it. The on-premises restaurant and sports bar was inviting with a varied menu at moderate prices. The food is good and well presented, but, in the end, it's only a slightly better than average for this type of restaurant. Because they do have an in-house restaurant, there's no complementary breakfast at this Best Western.

« THE Place To Stay In Bozeman »

This is a wonderful hotel - beautiful, very large, facility, with nice, clean rooms and tons of amenities. There is a restaurant and bar with flat screen TV's on the premises. They also have free wifi, an indoor pool & spa, exercise room, coin-operated laundry and a nice little coffee shop area for a quick cup of coffee, muffin and/or sandwich before hitting the road. Very pleasant staff in the restaurant, housekeeping and at the front desk. We would definitely stay here again.

    « Great Experience »

The hotel was very clean inside and out. The staff was gracious, friendly and very professional. I had asked for a ground floor room and they did that for me, even putting me near the entrance so I would not have to carry my luggage so far. I had dinner in the restaurant and the food was excellent. The service was a little slow, but they were very busy. I would recommend this motel to everyone.
