Best Western Acadia Park Inn

Rooms are clean and spacious. Breakfast and accommodations were outstanding. Service was exceptional! When our tour group had bus trouble their staff went WAY above and beyond to help 45 stranded travelers feel comfortable while we waited for the bus to get repaired. Exceptional management and staff!!!

Location was good but hotel could use updating and breakfast was subpar.

The room was always clean. We got to have new towels every other day because that's what we chose. If you wanted your room cleaned every day you could have. Nice space accessible beautiful gardens driving in close to everything including Bar Harbor. Debbie at breakfast was absolutely lovely and the complementary breakfast is a must! We would definitely return.

A great choice for visiting Acadia! Best Western offers accomodation, amenities, services and a local dinner spot just nearby! Meeting Walter at the Best Western reception was a highlight of our stay, an extra welcoming touch!

Good budget style lodgings near Bar Harbor. Room basic but had all we needed. Pool area was lovely and kept our daughter amused for hours. Good base for exploring Acadia. We walked out to the nearby lobster pound and bbq restaurant which were both good. Breakfast was ok but appreciated nonetheless. Coffee, tea and cookies in the lobby was a nice touch and they lent me extra shampoo and conditioner.

The BW Acadia Park Inn was exactly what we were looking for. We needed a place on short notice and found this hotel. The check in process with Walter went very smoothly and then he and the staff made the three days we stayed here relaxed and enjoyable.

We booked a cabin which was about the size of a closet so we had to find something ASAP because we just could not stay there. We saw a vacancy at the best western and Walter at the front desk found us a room and made some excellent recommendations for us about dining out and activities in the area. We found him friendly and knowledgeable, and our room was spotless and comfortable. The breakfast was decent with eggs, breads, etc. We can recommend this place!

Great location, very close to the entrance of Acadia National Park, clean, comfortable rooms, dog friendly- with a great area to walk the dogs, and a pool. Nice breakfast area too! The one thing that would make it better is a hot tub to relax after some long hikes!

The hotel is located no more than ten minutes from both Downtown Bar Harbor, (amazing shopping/dining area!) and Acadia National Park. They have king and double-queen rooms. Beds are DIVINE! Each bed has a variety of pillows to match up with a variety of pillow preferences. Extra blankets upon request. Bedding was clean. They will only come make the bed, clean up the bathroom, change sheets once every three days, and it must be requested the evening before, prior to 8pm. Room was very large! Had a desk, a chest of drawers, closet, fluffy chair and ottoman and the beds, and there was still plenty of room to move around. Bathroom was squeaky clean and large. Room coffee maker had mold in it, (gag) which was discovered when it was deposited into my cup along with the hot water. Serves breakfast until 9:30am. Eggs are made from powder, and I found a piece of the package in my scrambled eggs, so that was it for the eggs for me. They made sausages, make your own waffles, hard boiled eggs, and other normal breakfast fare: yogurt from a machine, pastry, dry cereal, fruit and oatmeal packets, along with coffee and tea. Has a very clean pool, maybe 25-30' long and 3'-6.5' deep. Easy to get in and out of. Has an air conditioned laundry room, (with no bathroom) containing 2 credit card/phone tap washing machines and dryers. Very simple to use and extremely efficient. You can purchase detergent and softener from a coin-only dispensing machine, but we choose to go to the grocery store for some. The front desk is managed by a man and a woman, at separate times of the day. They are both polite, and she is nice. He doesn't like tourists, and was very open about his feelings. She was just a real doll. All in all, my husband and I would return!

A beautiful hotel and amazing experience! Mr. Jason and Ms. Pearl, especially, were super helpful and made us feel so welcome. We really appreciate them. :)

Easy check-in/check-out at this hotel. We had a corner room situated next to a deck near the pool. It was a large room and very clean. It is convenient to Bar Harbor. It has free breakfast.

This is a great hotel with pleasant, helpful staff. The breakfast is great. I have stayed here four times over the years and will return again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay at this property. It was easy access between Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was very good and staff helpful and professional. We did not use the pool but it looked very nice.

My daughter and I stayed here for 2 days as we visited Bar Harbor and Acadia. We had a slight issue at check in but it was cheerfully and promptly handled by Jane , the manager. The lobby has a coffee station and complimentary cookies. Our room was comfortable and clean. There is an outdoor pool but it was not warm enough to use it. Breakfast was included and is served in the building next to lobby. Breakfast offered coffee, tea, cereal, oatmeal, eggs, sausages, various breads and make your own waffle. The hotel is clean and was very quiet. It is located a few miles from the park and Bar Harbor. I would stay here again in the future.

Debbie and Chad where very helpful at breakfast. They also provided me with suggestions for grocery stores and other places to ho for restaurants.

Somewhat updated rooms. Basic king room seemed somewhat small. Cleanliness was acceptable. Front desk staff was pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was adequate but generic. This hotel has an old school motel feel but was affordable and accessible to Acadia and the wonderful Lobster Pound restaurant next door.

Peggy sue was wonderful friendly and welcoming we loved a stay there just wish we could have gotten here earlier than late in the season .

My husband and I are from Michigan and planned a vacation that included two days in Bar Harbor, Maine in October. Unfortunately my husband became ill and landed in the local hospital. Being that it was one of the busiest times of the year, I had a difficult time finding accommodations for during his one stay in the hospital. Every hotel and motel were booked. Your hotel and staff (Jane, Walter and Mary) managed to accommodate me during my time of need. I can't tell you how grateful I am for your hotel and staff.

I was there with a bus tour and we spent 2 nights there. Super nice Inn and lovely setting. Room was so nice, clean and comfy. They served the best breakfast each morning. Debbie and Nancy were great!

Nice quiet location close to the national park, downtown and many food options. Room was clean, nice sized bathroom with a nightlight! Great dog area. Nice hot breakfast with plenty of options

The kitchen staff were very helpful in managing the breakfast dining room and helping visitors to navigate the buffet.

Peggy Sue and Odette are the BEST! I had a misunderstanding about the reservation dates with the centralized customer service folks which resulted in us arriving 45 min after normal business hours to no room available. Odette and Peggy Sue let us in helped figure out the situation and recommended some places that may have room, but then they remembered one person had checked out earlier in the evening so Odette went and cleaned that room while Peggy Sue engaged us with stories and figured out how to rent us the room since it was showing booked by the person who left. Above and beyond customer service for sure! The rooms are cute,clean, and they give plenty of towels for each activity. As a diamond member I've stayed at a lot of best western hotels and this is top 5 for sure plus great service. PS call the front desk directly for the best help.

Great hotel with very comfortable rooms! All the staff were very friendly. We had a king room with plenty of space and perfect for our 3 night stay. Definitely would stay here for our next trip

I hosted a bus group and the hotel was so accommodating. We enjoyed Peggy Sue who was at the front desk. She was so delightful and went out of her way for us. When we left next day manager and assistant manager held up signs come again. It made our day and they were the only ones who had the great gesture for us. Highly recommend them.

Everything was great. All of the staff was fantastic—very friendly and professional . Peggy Sue, the night manager, was exceptional. She was pleasant, helpful and accommodating to our bus group. I gave it a 4 rating instead of a 5 because our king size bed was a bit worn and was sunken in the middle. Our room was fine otherwise. The hotel was in a quiet location with a nice safe area for my morning walk. There is a cool ice cream place a short walk from the hotel. Definitely a place to check out. We highly the Best Western Acadia Park Inn!

PeggySue the front desk agent was very polite. She did not have a program with some of the group sat in the lobby to talk. She answered your questions and if u needed something she gave it to you right away.

Near Acadia NP entrance, clean, updated rooms, nice amenities, good customer service and fairly priced. Very good value.

Everybody was friendly at this hotel. Mary greeted us. It was Renovated very recently and the lobby is pretty welcoming. There's coffee and tea and cookies in the afternoon. A little fireplace and it looks like a living room. There's a vending machine and small souvenirs as well to purchase. The pool was clean and the grounds are kept very nice. The flowers are great. The grass is trimmed. They have Adirondack chairs and benches for you to sit under trees or in the sun. The property has several low buildings and there is a building for your breakfast Which is complimentary . The breakfast area was taken care of very nicely, by I think her name was Bonnie. She was friendly and busy. Our room was also recently renovated in the 500 building. They have amenities for the shower which were filled. The room had a nice size TV, and air conditioner, which worked properly, plenty of pool towels and bathroom towels. There was a small refrigerator which was functional and a microwave as well! I would recommend this place because it is close to other places of interest like mini golf and several restaurants which are not in town. There was also a free bus which stops in front of the hotel if you don't want to park in town.

This is a great place to stay when visiting Bar Harbor and Acadia National park. It is clean , spacious and well run by the friendly staff , especially the front desk who were very helpful with good information about the areas . Mary , Peggy Sue and Walter were especially informative and Jason always greeted us with a friendly smile. The free Island Explorer bus stopped outside the hotel to pick us up and drop us off so we did not have to drive much. Altogether we had a very enjoyable time staying here away from hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor.

Just returned home after a pleasant 3-day stay at the Best Western Acadia Park Inn. Our dog friendly room was clean and well maintained. As others have noted the separate breakfast room was busy. Trays were available so we were able to enjoy breakfast in our room. Walter was professional and friendly as he helped for check in and check out. The location is great for several nearby outdoor restaurants featuring Lobster and BBQ. Acadia NP and downtown Bar Harbor are just minutes away. We hope to return and highly recommend this hotel without reservation.

Our experience with the resort was really more than we thought it was going to be. The rooms clean, the staff very friendly and the pool was very clean. The only complaint that I have is that there wasn't enough loungers for the amount of guest that came to the pool. Also could use more umbrellas other than that all good!

Stayed her last week and really liked it. Was traveling solo for a couple of days to do some" Tourist Hiking" in Arcadia. I chose this BW location because it was just outside of Bar Harbor and hoping it didn't have as much traffic. It did not disappoint. It`s also close to the National Park Entrance. Yes it`s a Motel style Hotel. Which I like because I could literally park right in front of my door and made super easy for unloading and loading the car each day. Was only here 2 days so I did not use the laundry. There is a playground and a fire pit that was on my side of building. Only regret is the pool was located on the other side of the property so I never used it. Breakfast is your typical compilatory fair. Everything fresh and hot. Wish they had more hot item selections then the 2 on that day ,it was eggs and turkey sausage patties? settled for a bagel and coffee. Room was spottles and well stocked. Bed was comfortable. Shower pressure was great after a hiking and exploring all day. Well worth the price point. Following the growing trend the Front Desk is only open to 9 pm but a Welcome letter does cover questions.

I asked during check-in if there was an elevator and was told that this is a motel with rooms that have exterior entrances. We found the room to be spacious, clean, comfortable, and quiet. Although my husband felt the room had an odd odor, it was not offensive to me. We could park right outside our door, making it easy to unload. The breakfast is a very basic continental breakfast, but since it's free, it serves its purpose. Another nice feature is that the shuttle to Acadia's different entrances and downtown Bar Harbor can be accessed in front of the motel. There is no official stop, so you stand on the side of the road, and the bus will eventually stop, LOL. One nearly passed us by but screeched to a halt to pick us up. It's a great option to take the shuttle downtown, avoid parking, have dinner, shop, and enjoy ice cream. The last shuttle back to the motel is at 10:15 pm. Rooms are cleaned every 3 days unless requested. If you want clean towels without having the room cleaned, you can put the dirty ones outside your door. We did not know any of this because we hadn't read the fine print and found out when we traipsed to the front desk with dirty towels in tow. It was a good stay for last-minute plans, a little pricey for what it is, but to be expected for the location.

The Best Western Acadia Park Inn is the best of the best in Bar Harbor! A true gem of a property, convenient location providing easy access to Acadia National Park and downtown. Family like atmosphere with a beautiful, relaxing layout to include picnic tables, outdoor seating with fire pits make for a warm and inviting environment. Awesome outdoor pool and kids playground, with a nice breakfast room close by. Very clean property with comfortable rooms - the beds are great! Special mention for the King Rooms located right next to the pool. A very well managed Best Western by Jane - General Manager with excellent Front Office, Housekeeping and Maintenance teams. The staff are incredible while creating great memories and hospitality. Jane, Odette, and Peggy Sue are a fantastic management team, to include Mary & Walter (front desk), Kevin from Maintenance, and John, Yeraldy, Edyand, and Jason from Housekeeping. Very much looking forward to my next visit at this amazing property in Bar Harbor.

Friendly staff. It was strange that you have to call the morning before to request your room cleaned or new towels or washcloths between 7-3. You set trash and used towels outside your room. Breakfast was hot and great every day we were there. It was a good stay overall.

A great hotel and very convenient for Bar Harbor and Arcadia National Park. The staff are very friendly. With a particular reference Peggy Sue and Debra who were really helpful to us. The suite we had was very clean and tidy. The breakfast was well stocked with both hot and cold items. We would stay again without hesitation.

Best Western Acadia Park Inn is located a few miles away from Bar Harbor and the entrance to Acadia National Park which makes it a convenient place to stay while visiting the park. It is a typical Best Western providing good accommodations, basic continental breakfast, friendly customer service. It is also very close to two excellent eateries, Bar Harbor Lobster Pound and Mainly Meat BBQ. Recommended.

Had an amazing stay at the Best Western Acadia Inn & would highly recommend it! First, the location is very convenient. We liked that it was out of the Bar Harbor town so it was not chaotic, yet everything in the park and nearby was still super accessible and an easy drive to everywhere we wanted to go. Also some amazing lobster places right next door! Next, the service was amazing! All the staff were so welcoming and helpful. In particular I want to give a big thanks to Peggy Sue, our travel got impacted by a flight cancellation and she was so patient and helpful during the process and a bright spot in a stressful situation. Next are the rooms. It is bungalow style and so convenient since you can drive up and park right in front of your door. The rooms themselves exceeded our expectations. They were specious, very clean, and pretty modern. We had such a comfortable stay. The best western was great value & I can't recommend it enough!

Great motel style facility where we parked outside our door. That was nice. The room was nice, not overly large but comfortable for 3 of us. The breakfast in a separate house was one of the best selections and friendliest staff ever. Easy access to the highway going north, or south to Acadia and Bar Harbor. I would recommend this place and would stay again.

I had a review but it was too harsh so I am starting again. I did not enjoy my stay as I had issues the with one level drive up to the door motel look and the dark rooms and the awful barn door on the bathroom. I could reach my hands out all around the barn door as it does not close so there is no bathroom privacy at all. The positives: the pool was heated to 82 even though it was a cold day and kids seem to be enjoying it. It is close to the entrance of the national park. They tried hard to have a nice breakfast ready to go and the staff people worked super hard keeping it replenished. The front desk lady was so nice and helpful. There is a fun outdoor bbq place next door.

The hotel is not a fancy Best Western, but I guess it's all about location, location, location. The staff was extremely polite and helpful. Will return to this hotel in the future.

I don't understand the glowing reviews but here are my observations. Never stayed at a BW so this was a shock to see a roadside motel set up. 1. room was very dark and dreary with little light options and one window covered w heavy drape. 2. no sofa, just one chair. If there is more than one person you have to sit on the bed or at the desk 3. The reason for one star? OMG the bathroom door is a barn door and is so open, does not seal around the edges at all. Zero bathroom privacy, it is like having a curtain instead of a door. Ewwww. I will never stay in a hotel with a barn door for the bathroom 4. No closet, just a rack in the corner of the room 5. Located on busy street, no sidewalks and no place to walk anywhere. Also located five miles from the town of bar harbor. 6. Free breakfast the first day that said "hot breakfast" but the main entree was hot hard boiled eggs :( Now the positives 1. Every staff person is so nice and works so hard and goes the extra mile, very impressive. The lady at the front desk was awesome and so helpful. 2. It is close to the entrance to acadia national park 3. The price was $200, good compared to the other hotels close to town. So while this place did not work for us it might work for others, it depends on your comfort levels. I prefer to have a bathroom door.

If you are coming to explore Acadia National Park, this is a nice affordable hotel. It is an easy drive to the park. It is about 5 miles from the Bar Harbor downtown. It an old style motel where you park right in front of your room. It has been nicely updated. They have an outdoor pool that is heated. The breakfast is typical. It was a bit crowded in terms of room to move around in the breakfast building. I liked that there was outdoor seating next to the breakfast building. The location is along the road but not too close. There is a lobster pound within walking distance that we really liked. If visiting again I would stay here.

The Best Western Bar Harbor is a great value. The location is excellent for access to Acadia. The room was very clean and comfortable. Nancy and crew prepared a beautiful selection of choices for the breakfast that is included. The dining area was immaculate and the staff friendly and attentive.

Stayed for 3 nights while visiting Acadia National Park. Check in was easy and we felt very welcome. Hotel was clean from the lobby to the room as well as the breakfast building. Stayed in king room 305. Room was spacious and bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was well stocked with options and all of the hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. This was probably the best run and nicest BW that I have stayed in. Highly recommended!!!!

Pros: Comfy beds, clean room. Cons: We had an accessible room as I need grab bars in the bathroom. But the shower cube was not usable at all. Hand-held shower did not work, but later husband found that if you rotated the handle a full 4 times, the water came out of the unit. Who knew? You have to sit to shower as no room to stand and wash. Dreadful stench coming from the sink drain. At first we thought it was the water as you only smelled it when the water was running. Room also smelled stale and damp. Bathroom took 2 entire days to warm up enough to attempt to shower. It was freezing cold, even though we kept the door open all the time to get some heat in. Didn't work. Towels smelled stale and were very rough. Breakfast was meager at best. Maybe we came in at a time between replenishment, but what was available wasn't very pleasant. We were there for 4 nights , but after the first morning, didn't return for breakfast again. Plenty of electric outlets, but no surface near them to hold things needing charging. Except in the bathroom and that is not a good idea. One outlet on the one bedside table to share. The room was very pricey for what we got. Pretty sure it is pricey as it is close to the entrance to Acadia Park. Would not return.

This Best Western is a great option when in Bar Harbor or to see Acadia. The staff couldn't have been nicer and Peggy Sue (front desk) was even willing to stay late for my late check in, if needed. (I'm glad that wasn't needed!) The room literally was spotless. The bathroom was spotless and everything shined. If you are looking for a value place to stay, this is a great choice! Clean, well kept, great staff, solid breakfast, and quiet.

Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were very good. My first morning at breakfast, I asked if they had any instant oatmeal. Odette told me she would make me some oatmeal, I told her not to bother. She brought me a bowl of oatmeal that did not taste instant. Peggy Sue was at the desk when we checked in. She was very friendly and helpful. The next 2 mornings, Nancy was in the kitchen. Everything was laid out perfectly and tasted delicious. She was very friendly and shared some places in the area that we might want to visit. She was right. Nancy wanted to know what else she could do for us. Our stay was really fun and comfortable. We loved staying at the Best Western. We will look for them as we travel.

Room was spotless, the fixtures, tub and even the base of the toilet was shining! This place is a hidden gem. Peggy Sue made us feel like family, she was eager to make sure we had a great stay. Breakfast was also good, hot and plentiful. We will be back! 5 stars

Peggy Sue is the most kind and generous person! She loves what she does and it shows! There was a grab bag in our room that had all kinds of goodies in it and we enjoyed all of them. She is an asset to the Best Western Acadia Park Inn and made us feel like we were home.

Room and bedding was fine; staff helpful and breakfast/dining area well maintained and staff keep it stocked, etc.; liked location outside of BH; room and property well maintained but tub/shower drained very slow so that water from tub [waiting for hot water] quickly overwhelmed the drain and began to fill the tub. Would stay again.

Very spacious and comfortable king bed room. The breakfast offered many different food choices and the area was clean. Great location for visiting Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. We drove into town and easily found paid parking. It would be nice to have more eating options outside of downtown, other than lobster.

Best western was conveniently located to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. It was more affordable than the price of hotels in Bar Harbor. The room was clean and the complimentary breakfast was good! It looked like it was a motel renovated to a Best Western. Overall it was very nice .

Great experience and great location! Next to an amazing lobster restaurant (The Bar Harbor Lobster Pound). Mary and Peggy Sue at the front desk were so sweet and helpful. I will be back!! Don't miss Schoodic Peninsula(part of Acadia but on the mainland). Very cool!

Comfortable beds. Large breakfast area in separate building. Typical breakfast flare. Outdoor pool looked inviting (we didn't use, but there were kids enjoying it). If you walk a little ways, the Island explorer bus has a pick up at the campground.

Facility was very nice and clean. Beds were soft . The front desk staff were very unfriendly! Especially the older lady. Very rude . I would recommend if going to Bar Harbor Maine look into cottages and find cheaper rates. We were charged $329 by Expedia then an additional 40 when we arrived

We were assigned a room that wreaked of weed/marijuana. It was imbedded in the rug, curtains, bedding etc. We reported the issue and asked to be switched to a different room, but the front desk staff said it wasn't possible ... they were sold out. It was not until we were able to find accommodations elsewhere and asked to cancel/refund that a room miraculously became available. My apologies to whoever checked in after us and was stuck with the awful smelling room that we refused. Obviously if we had not found somewhere else to stay, we would have lacked leverage and be stuck in the pot smelling room. Other than that, the hotel was fine - but not worth the price. We only stayed one night (because they would not allow a refund for the first night of our 3-night stay). We cancelled the remaining 2 nights, which were refundable.

I read the reviews before booking and they were right...one of the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed. Staff was very helpful for any requests. Breakfast was expected. nice variety of items to start your day. One area of improvement would be to more adequately heat the 'hot' items to be truly hot. Rooms were good as advertised, albeit a little tired. I would stay here again.

Our family visited Bar Harbor, Maine for the first time and stayed at this Best Western in Acadia. I cannot say enough about the cleanliness of not only the rooms but the property as well . We met the sweetest lady at the front desk. Mary gave us so many helpful recommendations. Their breakfast was delicious and Laurie and Karen were so helpful and attentive to make sure that everyone was taken care of. There is a shuttle bus that stops right in front of the hotel to take you to the Village at Bar Harbor. It is only 2 miles from Acadia National Park.

The place was nice, clean. The staff were friendly. The breakfast was good one morning and just okay the next morning. The beds were comfortable. The pool was very clean with lots of chairs. It was easy to get to, right off the highway. All the rooms are easy to access

For what it is, the hotel is comfortable, clean and has easy access from Bar Harbor. Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is average. The scrambled egg could be a bit more flavor, bacon is a bit over cooked. I wish they have a better coffee machine that can make other type of coffee such as espresso, latte, ..etc. The hotel design and layout feel like back in the 80's. But the rooms, breakfast area and front desk are fully renovated and clean. They did the best they can to make is up to date.

Very clean, great staff at check-in. The hotel is a great location and you can take the free transit bus into town right from the front driveway. We found that our room was immaculate and the bed sheets were fresh & clean and the king bed super comfy. The breakfast buffet the next morning had something for everyone and the waffles were made from scratch. Will definitely stay there again.

Great hotel. Rooms are nicely updated, clean and spacious. Pool water was warm. Friendly staff at the complimentary breakfast. Would definitely recommend staying here. Very close to entrance to Acadia National park and about 15 minutes to Bar Harbor.

Location is pretty good, fairly close to downtown and Acadia. Bar Harbour has predominantly Inns, a few hotel chains. Very expensive. This one is a good match, combining the best price, closest location and conditions. It's clean, although I could feel a funny smell maybe from the carpet. Well kept, beautiful area, gardens. Easy to park, average breakfast.

We were very disappointed in this hotel since the price is so high. This is one of those motels where you drive right up to the door, and the one window in your room overlooks the parking lot. If you pull the curtains for privacy you have no light in the room. That obvious observation aside, the worst part was the HORRIBLE smell of this room. We noticed it when we first checked in but then opened the windows for a bit. By the evening when we had closed the windows to go to sleep the smell was overpowering--it smelled like urine and/ or pets (or maybe pet urine). The beds are also super soft. You have to walk outside to go to breakfast which was super crowded. It was average for a hotel breakfast--mostly carbs. By the end of our stay we were almost in tears over the smell and couldn't wait to get out. All the hotel manager (or staff person) could say was that he was sorry. A couple of positives: the location is fantastic as it is close to Acadia and Bar Harbor. Also the property on which the hotel sits is well kept and beautiful.

This location is great for access to Acadia National Park. Only about 10 minutes. Very well maintained hotel although roadside has a nice wooded setting. Also close to Bar Harbor but stay outside of bustle. Nice outdoor pool too.

This was my second time staying at this hotel, and I was once again pleased with my stay!! The staff is friendly, helpful, and courteous. The rooms are nice. The entrance for every room leads you directly outdoors; you can park right in front of your room; really convenient! The beds are comfortable, the grounds are great, and the hotel is only a short drive from Acadia National Park. And best of all, they are very decently priced for a hotel in the Acadia National Park area. I will definitely stay here again next time I visit ANP and Bar Harbor!

We enjoyed our stay. It was close to the parks and Bar Harbor. Just wish there was a room big enough for 6 available at booking.

The room was very clean and the bathroom was very modern. While very expensive, this motel did not provide maid service for a two night stay. Breakfast was very good. The grounds were beautifully landscaped. Very near an excellent lobster pound.

Clean, quiet, comfortable hotel just outside of the park. After all the hustle and bustle of hiking, site seeing, and downtown visiting, it's a very nice place to rest in between adventures. The hotel staff, rooms, and services are fantastic. We will definitely stay here again.

Newly renovated property in a convenient location close to Acadia and Bar Harbor. Lot's of restaurants and activities less than 5min away. Rooms are large and well maintained. Property is pretty with picnic tables and benches around to enjoy. Nice lobby and front desk staff. Pet friendly location.

After reading reviews we were very disappointed in this hotel. The grounds are very nice, but the rooms need work and updating. The carpet was filthy in our room and there was a used tissue under the vanity in the bathroom when we arrived. The beds were terrible, very soft and well used. Be prepared to roll to the center. Water pressure was virtually non existent. The pressure was so low it was difficult to shower. Breakfast was okay, but underwhelming. Hotel breakfast is not great, but this was a little sub par. The location of the hotel is excellent, about a quarter mile from a lobster restaurant and a short drive to town. There is a laundry on the premises. 2 washers, 1 of which was out of order, and 2 dryers. The hotel is okay, but very overrated. No, I wouldn't stay here again.

This was our second stay at this hotel. The first was in 2012. Clearly the hotel had been renovated and was even better than before! There was a fabulous pool which was great during a heat wave. It was clean and the pool deck was well-surfaced. Our room was quiet and spotlessly clean, and had plenty of towels and great water pressure. The Wi-Fi was a little slow, but that was a small issue. We were told we would be receiving a continental breakfast, but the breakfast was so much better than that – hot food such as eggs, sausage and oatmeal, waffles, toast, coffee and juice. It was well stocked and maintained. The dining area is a very nice size, with plenty of space to accommodate all guests and very clean. The hotel is in a very quiet location and we slept very well in the comfortable bed. The customer service was wonderful, even though they were shortstaffed and there was no daily housekeeping – we felt very well cared for! I would stay there again on a future visit to the area.

Did lots of research, hotel was decent for the price and area. If you need accessible rooms, call ahead to confirm even if you have it reserved. Also of note- front desk closes before 9pm every night

Very nice motel. Rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast service was good with lots of variety. The heated pool was fantastic. The laundry room was very nice. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location to the national park was very close which was great. The only negative issue was that our room had an unpleasant smell which could not be identified. But it was not to the degree that hampered our experience.

We were delighted with our stay here. It's close to the park--but far enough away from the crowds. It sits back off the road a bit so there is no road noise. The rooms were spacious with plenty of space to store our gear, snacks and essentials. Each room had a fridge which is a must for us traveling. The staff even froze our ice packs for us each night. Breakfast was good and the breakfast area was spotless. Everything is kept clean and fresh. The staff was wonderful.

This is the cleanest, best run best western hotel we've stayed at in our 2 weeks of traveling. Perfect location with friendly staff, large rooms, and all the accouterments one could hope for. The staff were warm and friendly, and most helpful, the breakfast area was well stocked, well run, and very clean and inviting. Just a few mile ride to Bar Harbor, or Acadia National Park. Perfect location, perfect room and a great breakfast experience.

The hotel is a little way out of town but very near the entrance to the Acadia National Park. You will need a car to get in Bar Harbor As with all of this chain the room was very large, 2 large comfy beds and all the usual facilities, with parking right outside your room. Breakfast on our first day was great, scrambled eggs, sausage and cook your own waffles, however, on the second day there were several items unavailable - like butter - which made it a slightly different experience. Kitchen staff seemed unable to cope with the volumn of guests.

We would stay here again. The room was large and clean (we booked the king with 2 singles in a separate area/room). Beds were comfortable. Bathroom was clean. We asked for more blankets and they were delivered to our room as requested. It's just a few miles from the center of town. Breakfast was as expected, however it was disheartening to see quite a few people not clean up after themselves, but that's not the motel's fault. Outside entrances, normal for Best Westerns. Plenty of free parking.

Special shot out to Mary and Peggy Sue. Mary and Peggy Sue were fantastic! They were so nice and helpful to make my trip to Maine great. They gave me lots of hints of where to go and places to eat. Those ladies and all staff were very friendly Very nice accommodations, clean and comfortable!

This is a clean, older hotel that is kept up immaculately! The breakfast was good with bacon, eggs and the usual continental items. Close enough to Bat Harbor and Acadia National Park. We stayed two nights so we could see the Park and shop in Bar Harbor.

This hotel is not far from Acadia National Park. It is very quiet here and our room was nice. Our mattress was very soft, though, too soft. Deshawn, who worked the front desk, was very friendly and informative. He knew the area well and was most helpful. The breakfast area was large and offered a nice breakfast. The homemade yogurt was delicious!

We spent 3 nights here during a New England car trip. The location was great. It is close to Acadia NP, lots of places to eat and close to downtown Bar Harbor. The front desk staff was friendly and very helpful. The rooms were fine, what I expect from a Best Western. They aren't elaborate but functional and clean. There was no housekeeping service. You could request trash pickup and more towels. To be honest, for the price paid I expect daily service without having to ask for it. The breakfast staff was rude and did a poor job keeping the food line stocked and clean. When asked to restock an item, we were grunted at. 10 minutes later when we asked again we were told there weren't anymore with no explanation or apology for the inconvenience. We would stay here again because of the location and helpful front desk.

Overall great experience. Clean and comfortable room, a friendly and helpful staff, very good continental breakfast included. Beautiful well maintained grounds, away from touristy downtown but very close to Acadia entrance and local dining (Mainely Meat BBQ a must try). Pricey but relatively reasonable in comparison to other options.

Front desk very helpful. Peggy Sue made sure our 2 reservations were linked. She recommended a great restaurant. Beautiful grounds and breakfast was excellent. The front desk personnel were very polite and helpful with directions. I would recommend this motel to friends.

This is different from most hotels. Instead of 1 building, there are multiple buildings with a few rooms in each. Place is old and could use some updating. Price was very high for the quality of the hotel (about $400 per night). I understand it is about location but quality counts, too. Breakfast in in a separate building which is good for the amount of room. However, on the morning we were there, breakfast was lackluster at best. Several items were running low. I understand that items have to be replenished often, so timing matters. However, I saw 2 men in the kitchen talking rather than refilling food for guests. I did appreciate that this place had a handicap accessible bathroom. It may be close to Acadia, but it still takes several minutes to drive there.

A wonderful property in an idyllic location with friendly and helpful staff! The entire property is very clean and well looked-after and the room was well-appointed, modern and comfortable. We'd definitely recommend this property when you're visiting Bar Harbor!

There are many spectacular Inns in Bar Harbor. Each is unique with the closeness to the city. The Best Western Acadia Park Inn is, to me, the best value for the money and a perfect place to relax, with all the comforts of home, in a peaceful, and unhurried atmosphere. Our room was fully updated with a luxurious and most comfortable bed and a new walk-in shower tub combination. The room was spotless, everything worked and the water was hot. We were able to park directly outside of our room and getting in and out was simple. The breakfast, included, was as good as any of the local breakfast offerings locally. This Best Western property was among the best that we stayed on our trip to Maine.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience at this Best Western! Our air bnb lost power due to the hurricane and Peggy Sue at the Best Western truly saved the day. She was able to get us a room at the Best Western very last minute and she was so accommodating and kind. She turned an unfortunate situation right around for us and made our day! Our room was spacious and clean. We loved that we had easy access to our vehicle from right outside our room. We would definitely recommend this hotel to others traveling in the area. Ask for Peggy Sue—she is truly the best!!

Resembles an old motor lodge but well maintained. Park in front of your room for easy loading. The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious and clean. The bathroom appeared fairly new and updated. One of the best showers I have had away from home. Great water pressure. The breakfast room had a wide selection of food and was an absolute treat. A short drive to Acadia Park, it was away from the chaos of town. Considering the prices of the area, I would look at this as an excellent alternative. A great bbq restaurant and ice cream stand are 1/4 of mile down the road.

I enjoyed the quiet location away from downtown with the hustle and bustle. Our room was at the back and very quiet. The grounds were well maintained and the flowers and landscaping lovely. Breakfast are was well laid out not too much crowding. There was ample food both mornings. The dining area was spacious.

Four months ago I booked a 4 night stay in Acadia/Bar Harbor for a king room. I supposedly got a multi-night discount as a Best Western club member. Ha! We just checked in and we were placed in a distant building in a room on the outer side that makes for a very long walk for access to the laundry and fresh coffee. (We will have to drive as it's too far to carry our laundry). When I talked to the front desk manager noting that we are here for 4 nights which makes this location all the more cumbersome (one night would be do-able but 4 nights at such a distant makes for a huge hassle, esp as they don't have housekeeping services due to a labor shortage so we will have to go to the main building daily for fresh towels, etc.), The front desk manager said it is actually harder to get a room closer to the main building for a 4 night stay. (Yea, I know, there is no logic to that). She added there are no more King rooms available. But when I went online, I found a King room available for tonight, the same day we checked in AND it is $30 less than I'm paying as a Best Western member with a multi-night discount! We have had such enjoyable stays on our trip in coastal Maine at a combination of VRBOs and boutique hotels. This is the first time on our trip I have felt mistreated or lied to. No more Best Western for us.

Wow! It may look like a quaint roadside inn from the outside, but it is anything but that on the inside! The lobby was inviting and relaxing after our long drive. Peggy Sue, who checked us in was very sweet and welcoming. We decided at check in that we wanted to book a second night's stay, and Peggy Sue arranged it so we would be able to stay in the same room both nights. We found our room to be very clean, comfortable, and well appointed. I honestly slept better than I usually do in my own bed! The breakfast area had ample seating and was very clean and well organized. There were many choices of breakfast items- more than I've ever seen! Mary, who checked us out was very personable and a great help showing us route options for the remainder of our road trip. We also had the pleasure of meeting the lovely manager, Jane, who obviously enjoys what she does and takes great care in ensuring her guests enjoy the best experience possible during their stay. We were thoroughly impressed! We will highly recommend Best Western Acadia Park Inn to anyone who's looking for accommodations in the Bar Harbor area!

The hotel was, for us, in the perfect location. Easy access, right next to a very tasty Lobster Pound and priced reasonably. Vashawn in the office was friendly, helpful and courteous. He deserves kudos for making our short stay pleasant.

The location of this motel was wonderful as it is just a short distance from Acadia. To avoid crowds, we would get up early, tour until mid afternoon, rest at the motel and go back to the park towards dinner time. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was average and they had a hard time restocking the food during more peak times. We did inquire about both the fire pit and the popcorn machine but we were told due to a staff shortage, they were not offering either one. (not a deal breaker for us but since we read about the fire pit on the website, we were looking forward to it). It was a pretty property and found it convenient for all things while visiting the area. Bottom line, we would stay there again.

This hotel is truly a hidden gem in the Bar Harbor area. It was reasonably priced (for the middle of the summer), clean, and perfect for what we needed. The staff was helpful and friendly. The back area had a spot for our dog to go potty and a separate area for us to hang out by the fire. It's not too far from the downtown shopping area and right next to the entrance of Acadia. I will recommend this hotel to anyone I know going to this area! I was so pleased with our stay.

I loved this charming hotel. All rooms were on the ground floor they had 5 buildings. You could walk right out of your door and your car was right there. This was great because we traveled with a person who had some mobility issues. They had a community meeting space outside around a fire ring that was unfortunately not working when we were there. They had a laundry room. They had a separate building for breakfast that was really good. The landscaping was beautiful with flowers everywhere. I would definitely stay here again.

Have been to this property a number of times. Prices up substantially. Could hear tv from next room but can't blame hotel for that but no longer had welcoming cookies and pop corn. Trivial but a bad sign. Breakfast room was a joke with children out of control and parents doing nothing. Keep children away from waffle machine for their safety and guests being able to start their day in peace. Selection of hot foods was minimal and cold. No fruit. Only white toast. An answer that they ran out of foods is not what you expect to here and if it is, then reimburse me.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. I was a bit leary with the motel looking layout but overall- it was more like a hotel. Rooms were quiet. Beds were comfortable. Outdoor pool was nice with good size pool towels available. Rooms were clean. We did not utilize housekeeping at all- we were able to leave towels and garbage outside the room during the day to be picked up. Able to pick up fresh towels at the front desk. continental breakfast was decent with warm and cold options. I would definitely consider staying here again . Only downfall was that it was a few miles outside of Bar Harbor so we had to drive into town for meals.

The room had a dampness throughout it that was just weird. Plus we found two bugs on the floor. Kind of icky. Didn't realize you had to ask for cleaning services. The breakfast was good I thought and the staff was fine. Just the room was dark, dank, and the carpet was kind of wet. Our suitcases, when we lifted them off the floor were moist. Also, i think it was maybe overpriced for what it is — a motel with views of your car in front of you in the parking lot. But even that I would be okay with if it were just cleaner, dryer, and brighter.

This was a great surprise just outside of Bar Harbor. Along Route 3 but you can't hear the road AT ALL. I had a King bed. Really good size room to spread out. Big bathroom. And a shower that isn't slippery such that I felt safe standing in it. And the room was exceptionally clean. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

Best Western Acadia Inn was a wonderful place to stay! It was a very clean hotel, the bed was quite restful and shower each morning was awesome! The breakfast room was very organised but space is a little tight around the foods & beverages if too busy. The best part of our stay was Peggy Suè at the front desk. She is so great at her job & the hotel is very lucky to have her as an employee. We went on a day trip per her recommendation & had a great time! Thank you Peggy Sue! From the moment I called the hotel for reservations, it was perfect. They were friendly beyond words. Everything was Perfect. The pool was great. The breakfast had plenty of great choices. Everything was easy to get to and the entire staff was Perfect.

This run down establishment is grossly overpriced, even for Bar Harbor in season. I have stayed at 4 and 5 star hotels that cost less and provide more. Expected more from Best Western. I do realize that this is season in Bar Harbor and would pay more, that is why I accepted the booking, but did not expect the condition of the motel. The staff seemed to run through the routine without any great enthusiasm.

This Best Western is perfect. The room was spotless, beds were very comfortable and the staff was beyond perfect Peggy Sue at front desk was wonderful. We had a little trouble with the TV and she sent someone to show us how the remote control worked. Very close to Arcadia Park and a fun miniature golf. Would look forward to staying there again

Check in was pleasant. Just be aware that the front desk closes at 9 p.m. However, they will leave your keys in a drop box. Our room smelled from the dampness. They were very ki d in offering us another room. Breakfast was very good and Jill was friendly and shared information on Bar Harbor all while dutifully cleaning and restocking the breakfast area. Nice property with pool and sitting areas throughout. Located between town and Acadia park. We'll kept and sizeable rooms. Very clean rooms, which was very important to me.

Great stay , hotel is clean and quiet, no weird smells. Good breakfast with many varieties . Only complaint I have is not having enough soap, shampoo and conditioner. There is no TV lines to watch during the stay. It is kind of acceptable as we are there to be in nature.

Our stay of 5 days in Best Western Acadia Park Inn was excellent. From the time we checked in with the Evening Front Desk Manager, Peggy Sue Thoner, until check out we had excellent service and assistance when needed. Whenever I had questions or needed something Peggy was able to assist us. Thank you for making our first visit to Maine a great experience. Our room was very clean, well maintained, with staff fulfilling our needs when requesting fresh linens, and Maintenace helping me when the washing machine would not wash my clothes. Thank you to all staff for assistance.

Bar Harbor can be very crowded during the fall leaf-peeping season. Consider staying at the Best Western to avoid the crowds. There is plentiful parking and it is an easy drive into local restaurants.

The hotel is very close to Acadia NP. Very clean and well maintained. Good breakfast. Only stayed for a night. So didn't explore other amenities. Front desk staff was very helpful and check in process was fast. Rooms are spacious and neat.

Enjoyed our stay. Located near Acadia N.P. entrance and a short drive to Bar Harbor. Our room was clean and beds comfortable. Breakfast was above our expectations. We used the laundry facility and wi-fi without problems. We would stay here again.

Lovely clean hotel & staff are fantastic. We had one night here as part of our tour. I wish all the hotels on our tour were like this one. Staff waved the bus off with Thank You banners. Lovely touch. Beds are out of this world too! Breakfast was included & it was very good

A group of us at the hotel had hoped to get together around one of the fire pits for a visit, the night before a memorial for a dear friend and family member. The fire pits were not available, and the evening was COLD, and Peggy Sue let us come into the lobby. We so appreciated that. Hotel is great, too!

Best hotel stay in a very long time. The rooms are extremely clean and the beds are very comfortable. The property is well maintained. Peggy Sue at the desk was extremely helpful and accommodating. While we couldn't use the fire pits, we were able to use the lobby for our family to enjoy time together. I would stay here again and would suggest to others!

The Best Western Acadia Park inn was perfect for our needs. It was a short drive to all parts of Mt Desert Island (Bar Harbor, Southwest and Northeast harbor. The staff were helpful with any questions(eg: where to star gaze). The rooms were clean, the breakfast choices were perfect. We would recommend to others and we would stay here again.

Rolled in today with 7 family members. Peggy Sue greeted us like she knew who we were. We had some splitting room costs and other hotels made it a nightmare, she knew what to do and did it with no time! I was impressed with the bright and clean lobby. They have a little gift store with vending items. While signing in, we had coffee and ginger cookies provided. Got some recommendations and headed into Bar Harbor. We are leaving early before the breakfast will be served as we are going to Arcadia so Peggy sue and Odette put together a take with us breakfast/snack bag. Outstanding! Our room is exactly what we reserved. The pool is heated to 82. We did a load of laundry cheaper than it costs back home! I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

Stayed due to flight cancellation. The GM and lady at the desk went WAY above and beyond to see that I was taken care of. The GM picked up my dinner from a close restaurant and returned to bring it to me after she got off because there were no avail cabs. Outstanding! The wonderful lady behind the desk asked about my breakfast plans and offered a “grab and go” breakfast because I was leaving before they opened. I hadn't even thought about that. Truly fantastic customer care and concern my my well being.

Room had several plumbing issues, received a note from management when checking in that they would not clean rooms on a daily basis, air conditioner filter appeared that it was never cleaned, bathroom exhaust fan filter full of dust (i cleaned it myself), entry door threshold damaged (found 7 + daddy long leg spiders in room), many guests with pets in adjoining rooms (requested a non pet friendly room), breakfast buffet area very unsanitary and poorly prepared uncooked meat products were served on several occasions, we stayed one week and after returning home are still sick with flu like symptoms........avoid this property!!!!!!!!!!

King room was very clean, comfortable bed and parking in front of room. Received friendly greeting and was provided map and information re the park and restaurants that was very helpful. Breakfast was very good with large selection of eggs, bacon, oatmeal, cereal, etc.

We read the great reviews of the BW Acadia Park Inn and decided to spend our last three nights in Maine here, and I'm glad we stayed. Its a very nice, well taken care of property, and our room was clean and roomy! We had a king bed room in close proximity to the laundry, the pool, and the breakfast area. I do agree with the previous reviews that the breakfast is delicious and offers quite a large selection for a continental breakfast (eggs, meat, oatmeal, waffle maker, yogurt, juices, coffee, sweets). We got there between 8-830 every day and I think that would be the latest you'd want to get there to make sure they still have eggs and meat. If I had one complaint it would be that the laundry area has only two washers and two dryers, so it can get pretty congested and you have to be on your game to get yours in. There is a great BBQ and ice cream place just down the street and a couple great lobster places a little further down the street also.

Just one glitch on the first morning of Breakfast without enough food but after speaking to Office Staff, it was resolved for the next 5 mornings...Staff was Great! Cleaning ladies were Exceptional!!! I'd hire all of them in a flash if i ran a hotel or motel...my kind of proud workers!!!!

Peggy Sue refused to honor our reservation through Booking.com and check us in because of an unexpected additional pet service charge. She made up false statements in the process to force us to sign the additional charges or go somewhere else. Local PD was called and intervened with no avail. We ended have to find another place to stay after 7 hours drive up to Acadia. Furthermore, Peggy Sue not only charged us the cancellation fee (for 1 night) but also continued to refuse Booking.com several requests to cancel the rest of the reservation (3 nights staying). We are not sure how a dishonest person with such retaliatory action arise to a management level, as she stated "I am second in charge." Later on, all charges have been resolved with the G.M. Jane.

Great place to stay! Staff excellent and warm at all times. It is situated about 3 miles outside the busy Bar Harbor business area which I found to suit our family better! The grounds are beautiful with volleyball,cornhole,and bocce ball avail also. Great cookies in the afternoon and great breakfast in the morning.

Stayed for four nights while visiting Acadia. This was in a great location away from the chaos of downtown Bar Harbor. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was nice but try to get there before 8:30. After this time, it is mobbed and the staff can't keep up with replenishing.

Very Friendly and helpful front desk staff. Great distance to the park. Breakfast was more than satisfactory, but get there early, things run out. There's fresh cookies and coffee, hot chocolate in the lobby which is a nice touch.

This is a delightful inn with all of the necessary amenities. Immaculate with a very responsive staff in every way. The entire atmosphere was so comfortable, from breakfast to the Adirondack chairs and fire pits and native flower landscaping, that we didn't want to leave.

SO clean and inviting! Everyone sure looks like they like their jobs,and do them well.Room was immaculate,breakfast had many offerings.Close to Bar Harbor,but also far enough away to enjoy the quiet. Hughly recommend!!!

We had a great staff at the Best Western Acadia Park Inn from July 23 to 27, 2022. We used the online check in option and our room was available when we arrived around 2:30 p.m. The room was very clean and spacious enough for the three of us (two adults and our 9 yo daughter). I was impressed with the amenities available on the property including free coffee/tea/hot chocolate in the lobby, a small gift shop and vending machine area, and a business centre area that allowed me to print my vehicle pass for ANP. The proximity to ANP is fantastic - about a five minute drive - allowing us to get an early start every day, and return to the hotel in late morning/early afternoon before setting out again. Proximity to Bar Harbor is also good. There are several restaurant options nearby if you don't want to travel into BH for a meal. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great - far beyond a basic continental breakfast - and provided us with lots of energy to use on the trails in ANP! I recommend this hotel and would stay again.

This hotel is smartly designed for both people and dogs. Great layout in the room and lovely spacious grounds, which are complete with sports areas, a nice pool and easy access to rooms from the car park. Everything was clean and fresh, and the staff was friendly. We didn't eat the breakfast, but we passed though the dining area and it looked good. This hotel has a great location, as it is near entrances to the national park, and close enough to Bar Harbor for easy access, but far enough away from the crowded downtown to feel restful.

Room was spacious and very clean! Dog friendly! Wide variety of complimentary breakfast options. Nice location close to Acadia. Open layout of the property so that you can drive up to your room to unpack the car which is awesome!

Awesome location, clean facilities, fantastic breakfast. We stayed here in July to visit Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor the location was perfect for both. Be sure to eat at the Traveling Lobster, the best Lobster we had during our trip.

Four family members, all adults, made our first visit to Bar Harbor. This hotel worked out great for us. Accomodations were very nice. Breakfast buffet was great. Location was just out of the main town which we actually liked. Staff was very nice. While it was expensive as Best Westerns go, it was a good value for Bar Harbor. Upon arrival it looks like a motel but don't worry. It doesn't feel like a motel.

We try to choose Best Western when we can because we are usually very happy with the accommodations , but this location was one of the best! I don't often make the time to do reviews, but I just have to mention how wonderful everyone was at this location! From the beginning, just after making the reservation a few months before, the manager Jane was so helpful and informative. Took so much time to help me with my plans! The same goes for Mary, who also took so much time to help, giving us directions and lots of brochures. I have to mention Peggy Sue as well! Last but not least, there was Erica! She made breakfast such a joy every morning! She is just such a friendly, beautiful person and I was so honored to meet her! This Best Western was a great location, central to everything we wanted to do, but all of the great people here really made it an extra special memory!

Peggy Sue greeted us with a very warm welcome insuring us that she would be glad to help in anyway we needed. Every aspect of the property was above our expectations great value, immaculate room, very comfortable bed with choice of pillows, tastefully decorated as well as a great location.I would highly recommend this property.

The hotel was clean, the bathroom was nice and large. Seems like has been updated fairly recently. My issue was with the price we paid for one night. We were on an trip touring the east coast. We stayed in a total of 8 different hotel. We stayed in much nicer hotels (suites) that cost half of what this BW cost. The mattress was extremely soft and uncomfortable for us.

Very large rooms, playground, pool, well kept property and a great staff. Very much enjoyed my stay and would stay here again. We stayed in one of the big rooms with the kid room that can be closed off. Very unique room.

Don't stay here. Not worth the price at all!!! We were given a room that stank of dogs and asked for another room but were told there were none but online there were rooms at over $100 less than what we were charged. The lady at the reception desk was very unkind and not helpful. Here name is Peggy Sue. If you want to be over charged and treated badly and stay in an old dingy smelly motel room than this is your place, otherwise stay at one of the numerous other places in the area.

Stayed for 3 nights in mid June. The rooms were spacious enough for us, room and bathroom were clean. They had hot and continental breakfast. Location is also strategic - close enough to downtown Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Front desk staff were awesome - extremely friendly and courteous. I can't say enough good things about the front desk staff.

We booked well in advance and got a great rate. The hotel is clean and comfy. The free breakfast was busy, but the staff were working hard to keep it stocked and were very accommodating. It's a short drive into Bar Harbor center and there is ample street parking (meters that take credit card) when you are there.

This was one of my favourite stops on our trip! Clean, quiet and comfortable with great breakfasts - the staff were lovely, it's a good location for Bar Harbor and each of the sections of Acadia NP. Loved it.

This is one of the cleanest hotels we've ever stayed in. Great attention to detail, in every way. Clean room, comfortable beds, nice linens, friendly and helpful staff, quiet. The grounds are pretty too. Updated nicely, pleasant, practical, not stuffy, accommodated our needs needs.

I've been to the Best Western Acadia Park Inn several times and have always been thoroughly impressed with the level of accommodations, especially for the price. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the breakfasts are delicious! There is no better place to stay in Bar Harbor! Need to perform a shoutout to Peggy Sue though! On a recent stay, I TOTALLY forgot an expensive pair of headphones in the room before returning home. Not only did Peggy Sue manage to track them down, but had them shipped back to me! Talk about going above and beyond!

We were very pleased. The room was clean, and the breakfast was good....a full selection. The price was reasonable. Peggy Sue was on duty while we were there. She was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. We felt so welcomed by her!!! Thank you Peggy Sue! Great little gift shop with jellies that are made in Maine.

One of the better Best Westerns we have stayed at. Very clean with friendly staff. Minutes from downtown Bar Harbor and Acadia. Has a little playground if traveling with kids. Would recommend this hotel to families. The included continental breakfast was also a plus!

We arrived at BW here in Bar Harbour, after riding (motorcycles) in rain for 4 hours. Needless to say, we were cold, wet and tired out. The ladies here, Peggy Sue and Mary got us into our room quickly. Showed us where the laundry room was (as we needed the dryer) and made us fresh coffee, which warmed us up. This is a nice place here. Very clean, and quiet. Looking forward to coming back soon. Two thumbs up.

This was our second year staying at the best Western Acadia Park Inn and we really enjoyed staying here again. The rooms are very clean and very comfortable! The breakfast is also very good! Great location too. Close to everything but far enough away to have a little quiet time. A special shout out to Peggy Sue Thoner, the Evening Front Desk Manager for providing such great customer service!!!! Thank you!!

We were greeted by Peggy Sue who was very friendly and accommodating. She made sure we had everything we needed. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast selection was excellent. We decided to extend our stay here for an additional night.

Room was clean and bed was very comfortable. And breakfast was amazing, offered a lot of hot and cold options, even had white chocolate raspberry scones. Great location too, very convenient to Acadia and downtown Bar Harbor. Great value for the price charged.

We stayed in October of 2021 for three nights. This is an old-style motor hotel, or Motel. PArk your car right up in front of your room. One story, a few buildings with rooms. Newly reroofed, remodeled, kept clean and nice enough, but I guess because all the prices in Maine were pretty high, the price seemed a bit out of touch with the level of the property. As I said, though, that may just be a local economy of scale. Breakfast was pretty good, not a whole lot of food, no personal cook, etc, making you omelettes, but... the lady who was in charge of keeping it stocked, running and clean was happy, friendly, and was on top of her game. She took her part seriously and did a fine job. Would I stay here again? Probably not, sorry, but only because the price was a bit high for the quality, and for maybe 50 to 75 more a night, I could get a better place. But overall, area was stunning, gorgeous, we loved it. Beautiful, hit when leaves were turning. Colors were beautiful.

Nice rooms, affordable compared to many other hotels we looked at in the area, and a great selection for breakfast. The only small complaint was they told us the pool was heated to 80 degrees but it was not warm when we tried to swim. Otherwise we had a great stay and would stay here again.

The Best Western Acadia Park Inn was a very good hotel. The room was clean and fit our needs. We were on the back side, away from the highway, and it was very quiet. The morning breakfast had selections of hot and cold food and was very good. A nice stay.

Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Bathroom was spacious, and I loved the clean tub and all the towel racks and hooks. Appreciated the table with two arm chairs. The HVAC filters and grill were slightly dirty, but the window could be opened so the air quality was good. We could hear the alarm clocks, and talking and laughing from our neighbors on either side of us when our TV was turned off. Desk staff was helpful and knowledgeable. Appreciated the individually wrapped cookies in the lobby. The popcorn machine was a nice touch, but I did not visit the lobby to try it at the times the popcorn was available. The orange juice, muffins and scones, and hot items for breakfast were especially good. They had excellent Covid precautions in place. This is a motel, with several buildings containing about 10 units each. Parking spaces are in front of each room, and the breakfast room is in a separate building. Pre-Covid, I would not have rated this motel over a 4, and would not dream of paying over $250 a night off- season, but these are unusual times and it is apparent that the operators of this Best Western are trying very hard to please their customers.

The beds were really comfortable. We were in the suite - so there was a separate room with twin beds for our son. Very spacious room. Wifi was spotty in the room, especially when it rained. The breakfast was average, they had scrambled eggs, waffles to order, freshly baked muffins were a nice touch, oatmeal, slices of bread and bagels, bananas and cocktail fruit (that was not very nice). The hotel is well located, close to Arcadia park and downtown area restaurants and shops. They offer free parking on site.

I chose this place as it was cheaper than other hotels in the area, however, knowing what I know now, I would have spent the money to stay in a better place. Checkin was done after 3 PM as stated but was told 5 PM was the time, so we tooled around to burn up 2 hours. After checking in, the room smelled...stale or some other funky smell. Not the COVID antiseptic I expected, but someone who had a bad body over. We made due. Stayed here for 3 nights. Maids never came in to clean, straighten, or anything. Rates for non-maid service were not lowered. Their breakfast was just nasty, as once we tried it once, that was enough. Went into town for 2 other breakfasts, which were light-years better. I would not recommend this place, nor would I come back.

Enjoyed our four night stay at this clean and comfortable motel. The location was quiet and conveniently located to Acadia National Park and downtown Bar Harbor. Breakfast was good too. Easy parking. Recommend!

The room was really large and bathroom was big enough to accommodate a walker. The room was very clean and staff was accommodating--so much so that we had to leave for health issues and they didn't charge us for the last night. Large building next to office had continental breakfast--everything from cereal, yogurt and fruit to toast, waffles, eggs, etc. If you are handicapped, try to get a room close to office and breakfast building or drive your car. However, that means you are out front near the roadway. The only criticism is there is no handicapped parking near the breakfast building. If you have bluetooth hearing aids with a transmitter, make sure you have a mini to mini digital output

This place is Very Nice...Newer property not far(5-10 minutes) from Bar Harbor... Nice Friendly staff...Nice location(lots of things to do in both directions) Nice amenities(only disappointment was the outdoor pool closed the day we got there)...

Beautiful, clean, spacious rooms near the park entrance and away from the hubbub of BH town center. Also, the best breakfast we enjoyed on our two-week trip. The grounds were lovely and the staff was welcoming. Nothing but positives here...

the location was convenient to the park shops and restaurants yet quiet(location). The aesthetics of the room were tastefully done and comfortable (our room had a twin beds room with a barn door separation great for kids or second couple). The breakfast had homemade blueberry muffins!

We stayed at this Best Western as a stop-over to another destination so I didn't spend much time on the particulars when I booked a room. Wow! I want to go back. The room was spacious & comfortable. The bed was just soft enough that I wanted to burrow in but firm enough that my back was happy with me the next day. The room was pristine. Late check in was surprisingly easy and breakfast was a very pleasant surprise. I look forward to returning when I have time to stay for a few days. We traveled on a holiday weekend so it was a little more than I wanted to spend, but I would do it again based on the great night's sleep.

Beginning with the wonderful help of BW's point man, Joel, who arranged all aspects of our visit from the check in procedures to the ease of our departure, this visit exceeded all my expectations. The room was outstanding and the breakfast full and complete. We utilized the laundry facility, which had all the right gear to let us wash and dry two loads of clothes. Visit was so good, we tried to stay another night, but they were all booked up. If I ever get a chance to go again, I will be staying at the Beat Western Acadia

Great staff, friendly and accommodating. The grounds are lovely with a good layout out with a pool. Rooms are spacious and CLEAN! Breakfast was more than adequate with good options. Well situated close to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor town. We had a really comfortable stay at Best Western Acadia Park Inn.

Came in late after flying into Boston but the front desk helped me with the late, self check-in which was awesome so I could get some shut eye! Breakfast plentiful and well-maintained. Room was clean, a fairly standard BW but no complaints here! Suited my needs of a place to stay. A little pricey but I think that is the times we are in.

The check-in was quick and efficient, and the front desk person was friendly. I especially liked the fact that we could park in front of our room and just walk-in. No going through lobbies, waiting for elevators, etc. The hotel room was large, with two queen beds and a good size table along with plenty of counter space. The bathroom was also large. Be careful if you leave your door open (while loading or unloading) as we had a squirrel run into our room, but it ran out just as quickly. The complementary breakfast was pretty good with a decent choice of hot and cold options – but it was crowded. You may want to get what you want and eat it in your room. The only downside is that the hotel is approx. a 10-minute drive from Acadia and/or downtown Bar Harbor, but I still feel it was worth it. I'd stay here again.

We had a great experience and really enjoyed our time here. Our room was clean with plenty of space and a nice bathroom. The breakfast was very convenient, with a good variety. We met Peggy Sue when we checked in during the evening, and she provided thorough information about the property. Everyone we encountered was pleasant and helpful. The property is located close to Acadia National Park entrance and not far from downtown Bar Harbor. There is nothing negative to say. We loved it!

Staff was amazing, The hotel is close to entrance of Arcadia Park and all parts of Mount Desert Island. Dining room spacious, clean and comfortable. A pleasant spot to eat freshly made muffins. We found the grounds of the hotel relaxing with several open sitting areas and outdoor activities. It felt like we were in a park.

Our stay was very enjoyable and easy. The hotel was comfortable and clean. The free breakfast was nice as well. It was a great choice for a reasonably priced hotel. I will consider again in the future.

I have to admit, Best Western's are not typically the brand my wife likes to stay in on family vacations, so when I said our big summer vacation included a stay at a BW, it was met with suspect. But we were pleasantly surprised by this hotel - especially the hotel rooms. It is noticeable that the rooms had had recent updates as they looked much more modern than the appearance of the hotel grounds. Not that the grounds were shabby - they were well kept and clean (but the 'bones' of the hotel looked like the typical older car motel). Staff overall were nice and kept busy. Due to COVID we had no daily house keeping but that was fine as we didn't desire any. We were asked to sit used towels and trash outside for pick up and we were able to get fresh towels on demand. That is all we needed. More about the rooms - I was pleased with the updated bathrooms and room decor. I enjoyed the walk-in shower. The bed was comfy enough for me. But as typically with these style of motel rooms, the A/C heater unit attached to the wall was not my favorite as it was a bit too noisy. The free breakfast and dining area was a nice size and plenty of the standard options including a self-waffle maker. The kitchen staff was efficient and friendly (be sure to leave a tip!) All staff wore masks - but I wish they enforced the mask rule for the other hotel visitors especially those that were walking around the food as some didn't have on one. We traveled with my older kids so we had them in separate rooms from us and the hotel did a great job keeping our rooms a close as possible. The drive to Acadia National Park was short and I saw the free bus stopping out front of the hotel, but we didn't use it. I read others mention car noise but that never bothered us. It was very peaceful at night. Overall a decent choice at a decent price if motels are your thing.

We enjoyed our stay here. The large well landscaped property had all rooms with outside entrances so you could drive up to your door. All sanitary precautions appeared to be taken. It was clean, as expected, and quiet. Laundry facilities were available. The breakfast was hot, and outside seating was available. The hotel was not far from Bar Harbor (five miles) and about two miles from the Acadia Park entrance.

First time my husband and I have ever stayed in a Best Western and first time in Bar Harbor. We were so pleased with our stay at Best Western Acadia Park Inn! It is so conveniently located to Acadia and to great restaurants. The building our room was in (303) was either brand new or had recently been remodeled. It was a BIG room, clean, and beautiful! The room included a small fridge, microwave, and personal safe. The towels were a a step above your usual hotel towels. They were soft and fluffy!! Much appreciated! I was concerned about hearing road noise because our room faced Hwy 3, but it wasn't a problem at all. The motel grounds were beautifully landscaped and well maintained. We only came into contact with the staff at check in. The front desk clerk was very friendly and took the time to point out all motel amenities and made several restaurant suggestions. I highly recommend the Best Western Acadia Inn.

We have never been to Acadia and wanted a hotel close to the park and downtown. We chose the Best Western for its location and price. We were pleasantly surprised by how nice it was! It was recently updated hotel with great amenities. The breakfast was very good and the cookies in the reception area were a nice touch. The rooms were simple, clean and well maintained. They had cornhole, a swing set, grill area, pool, and lots of outdoor seating. Everything we needed for our mini vacation. We will definitely be visiting again!

We had a Great experience. Very pleased with the appearance. Nice inground pool and play area, with swing set, for the children. The room was very clean and comfortable. Delicious breakfast with many options.The front desk and restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful.The location was not far from down town. We would certainly stay here again.

This was our 3rd stay at this property. Room was spotless clean and huge w a club chair and couch. Nice quiet location. While on this road trip we found this place to have the best continental breakfast . Staff was very friendly.

At first things looked promising - close location to the park, a pool, the family room #416 was spacious. As night set in things got bad. At first, I noticed two mosquitoes in the closet and then found over a dozen more throughout the unit. I spent over an hour killing them all but I kept finding more although our windows and door were always shut. I called the front desk and they told me to not keep my door open although I told them it was not. Not helpful. I thought housekeeping must have kept the door open while they were cleaning but daily cleaning was suspended so by the second day I knew that was not the cause. Second night, same thing - after the sun went down the room had a constant stream of mosquitoes and other insects. I killed dozens. I had a hunch there were gaps in the door because you can feel a breeze so I blocked it with tissue. It seemed to slow down the number of insects. Third day I called the front desk again to change rooms - they said nothing was available but they would send a maintenance person over to investigate. No one ever came. Instead I resorted to buying a roll of painters tape. I taped the gaps between the frame and the door from the outside when we went out to dinner, and promptly taped the gaps from the inside when we settled in for the night. Not a single mosquito that night. It was a ridiculous way to spend vacation time. The responses I got from the front desk were a disgrace. I've been to hotels in third world countries, but this was the worse experience. That number of mosquitoes could be a safety hazard.

This is one of the best places we have stayed anywhere. Very clean, large room, very nice grounds with sitting areas, pool and playground, and included breakfast with hot and cold options. Very convenient for visits to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor, in a quiet setting even though it's just off the main road. Highly recommend.

We usually have had good experiences in Best Westerns, but Peggy Sue, the night manager here was exceptional. She went out of her way to accommodate us, make sure we were comfortable, and had everything we needed for our visit. Everyone should have such a great experience. The Inn itself was clean, convenient, and hospitable, with a pool and breakfast. Just a short ride to downtown Bar Harbor, or Acadia National Park. But the best part of the trip was Peggy Sue.

This was our first time at Best Western Acadia Park Inn and I can say we will definitely return! Such a convenient location to Acadia National Park! The rooms were very nice and the beds were so comfy! The breakfast was included each morning and it was delicious and well stocked! Bagels, muffins, bread for toast, and each day there was scrambled eggs and different types of sausage. Make your own waffles every morning, fruit and cereal..and of course coffee and juice. It really was very good and a great value! We had no problems with noise or anything and it was an extremely comfortable stay! Would definitely recommend!

Great place to stay when visiting Acadia/Bar Harbor. The front desk staff when super helpful and friendly. Upon checkin the offered us an overview of the area and gave us some suggestions on what to do, where to eat, etc. They couldn't have been nicer. The grounds of the hotel were very well kept and the rooms were extremely clean when we checked in. No problems with Wi-Fi. Breakfast was fairly typical hotel breakfast but it was clean and well stocked. One bonus was gluten free options upon request which I wish all hotels would do. One minor complaint was that the firepit was not able to be used. It is a couple of miles outside of Acadia and little bit further to Bar Harbor and we thought it was a great location. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

I was amazed with my stay at the Best Western Acadia Park Inn. Super Clean, Friendly Helpful Staff, Great Breakfast. Recently I stayed at 5 star hotels in another state which were not as nice. A highlight of my vacation.

After a solidly good but short stay in 2019, we returned in 2021 for a longer experience. In mid-April, I phoned to book a weeklong late July stay for my family. Peggy Sue at the front desk was most helpful in finding the room that would best suit us for an extended period. The property is surprisingly secluded and quiet, set back from adjacent ME highway 3 and surrounded by mature conifer forest. The aromatic setting alone is reason enough to seek out this motel. Add the accommodating staff; clean, comfortable room; spacious breakfast area with varied daily food options; and proximity to Acadia National Park to make this an easy choice for your Mt. Desert Island "base camp."

I was amazed how clean and nice this hotel is. I booked at the beginning one night, but I liked it that much, that we decided to stay one more night. The breakfast common area was big and had additional tables outside. I was impressed with the food selection, also.

Motel staff were professional, friendly. And helpful. Very Clean. Breakfast selection was good and well stocked. Great location within minutes of Acadia entrance and downtown Bar Harbor. Would definitely stay at this location again.

Such a comfortable night's sleep. Excellent breakfast options with egg, cereal, waffles, juice, fruit. Clean. Friendly. Marshmallow pit, swings, beautiful plantings. Convenient to activities downtown and the sights at Acadia. Pleasant knowledgeable front desk staff - Joel, Mary & Jeremy. The breakfast staff also are super helpful and make you feel like family and that they are so happy to see you.

We stayed for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed each night! A nice value for the price, the rooms are simple but clean, and has everything you need. The only drawback in the room is that while the barn style bathroom door looks nice, it really doesn't provide as much privacy. Breakfast was great with a nice variety of hot and cold offerings, though the coffee on the weak side. The outdoor pool was nice and warm and clean as well, open from 9am til dusk. All in all I'd book this hotel again next time!

My husband and I stayed here for three nights while exploring Mount Desert Island. The room was spacious and clean. There were no humidity problems. The continental breakfast had a nice choice of hot and ready-to-eat selections, including breads and fruits. The dining area was kept clean as well. The hotel's location is close to downtown Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. We had a very comfortable stay, and would stay here again when in the area.

We have stayed here twice in the past few years. Both times clean and quiet. Breakfast is good hotel buffet. The owners clearly care about their investment. Beds comfortable and clean. Pillow a bit lumpy but okay. They just remodeled (probably over COVID last year) - our room has a missing door knob and the water is reversed hot/cold. Funny. WiFi is strong. Hard to believe this is $400/night if you booked today. But this is peak season. I like the location because we prefer the quieter parts of MDI - easy to get around without slogging through Bar Harbor more than once.

4 of us visited Acadia and stay here...It was perfect for us. Laid back, great breakfasts, nice grounds, pool, and generally a fun place for us to be. It was covenient to the park, in town amusements and good restaurants. I recommend it.

This hotel is about 3 miles from the entrance of Acadia National Park, and it is about 7 miles from the town of Bal Harbor. There are other hotels that are closer to town; however, this hotel is priced well for its amenities. The breakfast is amazing! Jill in particular was a ray of sunshine every morning. She greeted everyone with a smile and seem to know exactly what you needed. She is 82 years young and does not miss a beat. In addition, the rooms were clean and everyone was friendly in front office.

This property should be the flagship for Best Western! Clean, so clean! Bedding excellent quality like 5 star hotel. Quiet, even though a motor lodge we couldn't hear other quests or neighbor's noise. Landscaping gorgeous and park-like. Heated swimming pool was divine after a day hiking Acadia. Breakfast hot with lots of choices and staff polite and accommodating. We were so delightfully surprised that so much perfection could be found at this Best Western. Must be pride of ownership, eh?

This was our first time visiting Acadia, and this motel is one of the reasons why we will be coming back every year. This place is extremely clean and the grounds are well kept and beautiful. Jeremy and Peggy Sue were behind the desk on our arrival and the both of them went out of their way to provide us with their knowledge of the area. The rooms are spotless and the bed was very comfortable. Water pressure was just fine. Jeremy and Peggy Sue were very helpful throughout our 6 day stay, as was the rest of the staff, with dining suggestions and attraction tips. This place is like something out of the past, when people cared about each other and the hospitality industry was actually hospitable! Great place and the bonus is that it is very close to Acadia and to the town itself. Lots of dining options close by. Thanks again Jeremy and Peggy Sue for making our stay very special and comfortable.

I booked an 8-night stay a while ago but had to break it into 3 reservations due to the room availability. Today I tried to call the hotel to see whether I can combine them into one so I don't need to switch rooms in between. To be frank, I didn't expect much given the hot vacation season this year. Maria in the customer service in the hotel helped me to check the room availability and there is no room available for the same type in that period which is what I expected. I can tell she was very busy handling several requests at the same time. But she explained it to me very patiently and promised to put a note in my first reservation to keep me in the same room if it is available. I got an email on my 1st reservation with a note on it in 15 mins. I was very satisfied with her efforts. Surprisingly, I got a call from Maria in another 10 mins. She was very excited to tell me that the same type of room is available now and she will make the change for me. What a pleasant surprise! She was really thinking about the customer's needs and went above and beyond to help. Thank you, Maria! You made my day! I have been to Best Western many times in other areas and am looking forward to my stay in Acadia this time.

Great location, clean and modern accommodations, decent breakfast, but staff hospitality is not above and beyond as we experienced at other stops on our trip. Check in is apparently not guaranteed until 4pm. So weigh that into your consideration. As others mentioned, you are assigned a room before you arrive, so even if the room type you requested is available and already cleaned from the previous guests, don't expect to be able to access anything early. If it's a special occasion like we were celebrating for an anniversary, you won't see even a note of congratulations. They made a point to catalog all the things not available at check in such as WiFi being temporarily down in our building (we experienced no lack of access) and rooms not being serviced (we were only staying one night so this service wouldn't even be expected). When we asked if we could check into a room in one of their buildings with no wifi issues since my husband needed WiFi for work, they said no, that our room was already assigned. This as I mentioned, wasn't an issue, but it seems odd to start your experience with all the negative instead of leading with the fact that in our location we may be able to access WiFi still. The staff could welcome guests by explaining all the nice things about the facility and the urgency in which they are trying to remedy any lack of services. Even on our first try at checking in, the front desk seemed to almost delight in not having to deal with us yet, instead of offering other solutions like holding our bags and or taking our number if the room should free up early. Maybe the front desk staff was having a rough day with the facility being sold out, but we were the only ones trying to check in at the time on both occasions and we definitely started off on a sour note.

My wife and I stayed at this place for 3 nights. On the 2nd day, I noticed an extra charge of $30 on my credit card from the hotel. When I inquired at the front desk, I was told that the $30 was for a NP pass that was charged to our room number. Since my wife just turned 62, she bought a senior NP pass ($80) that day. I explained this to the person at the front desk and so would not need to purchase a daily park pass for $30. However, the desk person insisted that I was the person that purchased the pass. Finally, she told us that you will take care of it. At the end of our hotel stay, we noticed that there was a charge of $30 for each of the 3 days. We were told that the charges would be credited. However, that never happened. Over the next two weeks, I called the hotel at least 3 times to inquire about the credit due, but it was never settled. We finally decided to call our credit card company for a dispute on the extra charges. The hotel never believe that I never purchased the $30 daily park pass despite my explanation to them on-site and on the phone.

WE stayed in this locations because of the reviews we had read. We were not disappointed. In addition to a perfect, quiet location the hotel and its staff were above expectations. The room was large and comfortable. More than that, the bathroom was plenty big with ample counter space. The breakfast area was well maintained and the food fresh and delicious, with many options.

The BW was just top-notch. The hotel and grounds are super clean and accommodating including tidy laundry room, well kept pool area, and manicured green space. The room was clean, fresh and spacious with nice updated bathroom. The front desk and staff were friendly and helpful with regards to hotel and helpful information about the park and surrounding town. The breakfast room and breakfast itself was a real pleasure with two attendants constantly making sure everything was refilled and neat. Food included waffles, eggs, breakfast meats, cereals and much more....

I've stayed in a lot of Best Westerns and they are a nice hotel chain overall, but this location is the best! It may be a chain hotel, but it sure doesn't feel like it! Joel, who runs the front desk was very nice, courteous, knowledgable and very friendly! Every other staff member was very nice as well! We will definitely be back again in the future, thanks for making this our stay that much better!

We loved this hotel. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast is great. The room was comfortable but on the last morning we came back after a morning hike to no hot water. The staff had no answer and offered a “sorry” at best. We left unable to shower. That was disappointing.

We were very pleased with our room. We had two adult sons with us and reserved a King/2 single bed room. My sons a are very slim and average height but the singles would be too small for anyone over 6 feet tall. Our room was clean and in very good condition. The property has some nice amenities. There is a pool, playground, chairs and picnic tables on the grounds. The breakfast was outstanding. The variety and quality of the food was awesome. I am attaching menu from the breakfast. The motel is about a 10 minute drive into Bar Harbor. It is also about a 5 minute drive to the entrance to Acadia National Park. The staff here were very friendly and helpful. There was no daily room cleaning due to Covid but you can call front office and request fresh towels and they would deliver them to you. You could also go to the front office if you needed more toiletries. The breakfast also transitioned from the staff serving you to self service and on the last day the indoor seating opened up. If you're looking for a place to eat nearby, there is a BBQ place called Mainely Meats about 1/2 mile down the road. One other thing to note is that the front desk was not 24/7. They closed lifting the night. There was a doorbell to ring after hours.

The hotel was quiet and I loved the convenience of parking right by my door. The breakfast was good, and we were able to get food by 6:30AM before going to Acadia early to hike. The room was clean and comfortable. I would have given this 5 stars if we didn't have an issue with our shower. The shower/tub diverter valve didn't seem to work, so only half the water came out of the shower head. We also had a very slow drain so were standing in a few inches of water after each shower. We didn't notice this until we were already unpacked and settled in, so I didn't want to switch rooms or have someone come in to fix it while we were there. However, I did mention this when checking out and got some Best Western points for the inconvenience. I'm not sure how this could have gone unnoticed by the cleaning staff (or reported by a previous guest) so that it could have been fixed prior to my stay. I'm personally not a fan of the sliding barn style doors for the bathroom. They are cute, but don't really provide much privacy from a sound perspective. This is just my opinion. I'm sure others may like them. Just be aware in case this is something that might bother you depending on who you are traveling with :) Even given this, I would still recommend the hotel to others, and I would stay here again myself. Acadia and Bar Harbor are great places to visit and this hotel was a convenient home base for 6 nights while we vacationed.

The Cleanest Hotel We have ever stayed in .the staff is the best joel and his crew make you feel so welcome to be in bar harbor.the grounds are so well kept .and the breakfast is really good and they have a great variety every single morning. The location is also Wonderful with many great restaurants very close .will definitely return we loved our first visit to bar harbor

Room nice sized, grounds kept up beautifully with flowers, good swimming pool. Staff attentive with good service. In particular, Peggy Sue the night manager gave excellent service by finding a way to extend our stay one night despite the hotel being sold out.

Peggy Sue is a customer service beast. I dropped and cracked my styrofoam cooler. She GAVE ME HERS. Who does that! Shout out to PEGGY SUE. Thank You Rooms are clean and have a fresh look. I can see my self in the bathtub, it's so shiny. Location location location . Can't beat it.

Great location to Acadia Natl Park. Great breakfast and laundry room with 2 new washer and dryers each. Really good hot breakfast each morning with tons of options. Super friendly staff. Highly recommend this hotel if you are going to visit the area!

If you are looking for a budget friendly place that is clean and offers great service, then this is the place to be. We stayed for 2 nights and was great. Room service was perfect, everything was clean, and the staff was simply great. Situated very close to downtown and the Acadia National Park, location is perfect to get in and out. I highly recommend this place. You won't regret it.

No regard for elite status. We didn't like the room and they didn't want to change it, because other rooms were “assigned”, not that people already checked in. This is the laziest excuse I ever heard. Btw “super-clean” due to covid rooms had massive spiderwebs with spiders in them.

My daughter,her girls and myself were on our way home from seeing family but needed to stay a night before getting to the jetport in portland . i would give this motel higher than the "10" they offered if possible..Wonderful,friendly front desk people,hot coffee,/hot choc/cookies available in that area-and after we went into our room,i realized as i'm recouperating from a badly fractured foot,i'd rather not share with 4 of us,i went and booked a 2nd room and everything was so easy and wonderful. I've stayed at numerous BEST WESTERNS,but this one was beautiful,inside and also the grounds.

We have been coming to this Hotel for over 5 years, we wouldn't stay anywhere else ! The Hotel manager is excellent and has an outstanding staff. The room is always perfect and the WiFi is excellent. Beautiful exterior with flowers planted everywhere, picnic tables and chairs. Lobby is nice and at night is a nice place to stop in for a cup of coffee and freshly baked cookies. Breakfast was very nice, served a hot breakfast-along with muffins, cereal, fruit, juices and more. They figured out how to do breakfast, even during this time of COVID-19. So many hotels are doing nothing for breakfast, but this Hotel did an excellent job in serving a very nice breakfast. All staff at the Hotel are friendly and helpful. We are all ready planning our next trip back and we just got home ! Thank you for a wonderful stay and always taking good care of us. I am a Diamond member with Best Western and a Lifetime Titanium Elite with Marriott and I give this Hotel the best rating possible.

We picked this hotel because it was close to the Acadia National Park entrance. We were very pleased with the quality of the room. Also the location allowed us the find excellent places to eat without the crowded downtown ares. The day clerk (Mary) and the breakfast girl (Michelle) went out of their way to prepare a "to go" breakfast as we were leaving before the scheduled breakfast time. A VERY nice place to stay.

To be honest, we weren't expecting such a great facility at the price we paid. Of course, we went in mid-May, before the tourist season began, but we were still blown away! The room we had was fully updated, the staff was extremely helpful, and they managed to provide a hot breakfast, free, despite being on the tail end of the pandemic. This hotel is not directly in town, which we viewed as a plus. It was quiet and extremely comfortable. Thanks for a great stay!

Stayed for 4 nights on my trip to Bar Harbor and Acadia. All staff were very nice and welcoming, great continental breakfast options, clean and nice rooms. I really liked the location, 5 minutes to the entrance of Acadia NP and 10 minutes to downtown Bar Harbor. Would stay again on my next trip.

This inn is so well organized and operated. Rooms are impeccable, the grounds well-kept. The hot breakfast is a treat in these COVID days when other hotels simply leave off giving breakfast. The location is ideal for visiting Acadia National Park.

We arrived after dark and were greeted by the extremely kind, professional, and helpful night manager, Peggy Sue. She provided multiple recommendations for places to eat and all were excellent. The hotel room was very clean, spacious, nicely decorated, and well kept with all the features we needed - queen beds, nice shower, microwave, fridge, fast wifi, etc. We loved being able to pull our car right up next to our room. We have come to expect this with Best Western hotels and we were not disappointed. The breakfast in the morning followed COVID code protocols and was still a very complete breakfast, served cafeteria-style. Way more than just a piece of fruit and a bowl of cereal. Overall we had a wonderful experience at the Best Western Acadia Park Inn.

It was a wonderful trip. Room and staff where awesome. Wil stay again. Breakfast was awesome. Temp in room was awesome. Ease of checking was perfect. And it was very quick. Not alot of people. Great..

Visited the Best Western from 9/19/2020 to 9/26/2020, staying in room 303 (2 Queen bed room) which was on the front side of the hotel very close to the office area and a short walk to the breakfast room and pool-area ice machine. The room was very nice, clean, modern and up-to-date, had plenty of electrical outlets for my devices (a great perk), and a great HVAC unit. I supposed many folks would be running heat at the time of my visit, but I love a cold room, so I ran the A/C or at least the fan most of the time. Due to Covid, no room service was happening at the time, but that was fine. I simply sat the trash bags out whenever they needed emptying, and new bags were furnished upon request. Whenever I needed new towels or linens, I simply called the front desk and they hung new ones on the door in a bag, and I bagged up the dirty ones and sat them outside the door as well. Bathroom was good, with lots of counter space on the sink area, an overhead light inside the shower stall (a real plus). I'm used to a "grab bar" inside the shower, so was disappointed there wasn't one inside. Room had a mini-fridge and microwave which I made good use of during the visit. My only real complaint was the lack of a hot breakfast, as all they were having due to Covid was "grab and go" items. I had to buy my "hot food items" elsewhere, then heat it up in the room in the mornings. I felt that an equivalent discount per night was in order due to the fact I had to spend extra money elsewhere to get a hot breakfast each morning. Considering my stay was for a full week, this added up to around $70, and a discount on the room rate would've been very handy. Perhaps this and all other hotels which offer a hot breakfast normally should consider daily gift cards to local restaurants to replace that meal most folks would get at the hotel instead of offering these "grab and go" items, as they just don't do the job a hot breakfast would do in getting one going in the morning. The staff was excellent to deal with during the visit, however. Everyone was friendly and helpful; it was nice seeing the same faces each day. Each evening, I went to the lobby to collect the "complementary cookies" offered, and it was always a pleasure to do so. There was even a "welcome gift" awaiting my arrival at the front desk upon check-in. I received a gift basket with some local food and drink items which I enjoyed a lot, and a nice wooden cutting board. While the location of this hotel isn't "right in" downtown Bar Harbor, it wasn't too far a drive, and traffic was never an issue between the hotel and town during our stay. It was very convenient to the Mainely Meats BBQ location just a short distance down the road, which I frequented during my visit. All in all, I would highly recommend a stay at the Best Western Acadia Inn while visiting the area. Hoping to return again someday in "non-Covid" times when things are much more "normal" in circumstances.

A fairly last-minute covid vacation -- I booked about a week before our early Oct trip, and was surprised to find this hotel (and just about everything else we drove past) to be fully booked when we arrived. We spent five nights here, and found this to be a great base for exploring Acadia. We were happy not to have stayed in downtown Bar Harbor. It was easy enough (and quick enough) to drive into town for dinners, and this was a good location to explore main Park Loop area, SW Harbor area, and Schoodic Peninsula. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with good layout and microwave/fridge. Didn't have many interactions with staff, but those we did encounter were extremely pleasant and helpful. Packaged grab-and-go breakfast items didn't do it for me -- but the hotel gets points for trying to keep everyone safe. All in all, a really good experience.

This is our second stay at this hotel. The rooms are clean, no evidence of bedbugs, and you exit your room to your parking space which is convenient if you have bikes or things you want from the car. Staff is present until 9pm and you recognize the same faces that staff the dining area, front desk, cleaning crew. Everyone is very polite and it appears that they reinforce physical distancing and masking. Breakfast offerings are prepackaged and processed, but there are hard boiled eggs, oatmeal, , oranges and bananas if you favor unprocessed.

We stayed here for several nights while visiting Acadia. I called the desk ahead, informing them of our late arrival. They gladly made arrangements to leave our room key in a disclosed location . We found our envelope with key, and all important information. The room was very clean and very spacious. The breakfast offered plenty of prepacked foods, as cereal, yogurt, bagel, muffin, and more along with bananas and drinks. The kitchen staff person serving the food was very welcoming and warm. The front desk staff was very eager to suggest nearby places for dinner and directions. They replenished out towels, toiletries and more by dropping them off in a plastic bag by the door inside your room. We left our used towels and trash outside of our door and it was collected immediately. The heater/AC in the room worked very well but was a bit noisy at times. Internet was great . This hotel is very close to the national park entrance and downtown. Great find. We will certainly return.

Check-in was flawlessly efficient, contact free, and pleasant. The express check-out made things effortless when leaving, and the amenities offered in the room were clean and pleasant. The Grab-and-go breakfast was an outstanding value, safely individually packaged and offering a wonderful selection of food options both hot and cold. The bed was spacious, clean, and amazingly comfortable.

We stayed here for 3 nights while visiting Acadia national park. This Best Western exceeded our expectations. Firstly the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Peggy gave us food take out recommendations, and everyone was on point. She went above and beyond and was a very genuine person. The room was clean and pretty updated! Nothing felt old or worn, and everything was sparkly clean. There are picnic tables around outside, and even a small playground in the back for kids, along with cornhole and some other adult type things. They handled Covid fantasticly. The breakfast building was closed to stay in and eat, but you walk in (masked of course), stand on your 6ft marker till it's your turn, and order what you like. They don't have much, it's continental, but a decent cup of coffee for sure. They have a bunch of tables set up outside the building for you to sit and eat. I have one small note/complaint about the room. Although the air conditioning/heating unit looked rather new, when it's running heat it's very loud. Woke us up a lot through the night. There was nothing wrong with the unit, it just seems like it's not meant to run heat. Close to Acadia park entrance, and close to Bar Harbor, about a few minutes to each. Also a couple great food places nearby like Mainely Meat BBQ on Dreamwood Hill has a delicious breakfast and good local coffee. The Chart Room has very good seafood. Next time we go to this beautiful area, I'd say we'd definitely stay here again.

Older hotel about 5 miles to downtown Bar Harbor. I presume that the reason it is higher cost is because of the area. Did include a pick and go breakfast. Had 2 rooms and they were a good size. Very quiet and clean.

Even in the age of COVID, we were not disappointed. While some things are different, the comfort and quality of our room was as good as always. The staff there is always very welcoming and helpful. Very close to one of Acadia's entrances. Close to town for dining and shopping.

The motel has all rooms on one level - a nice feature. Only 2 miles from the entrance to Acadia, 2 miles from nice lobster stands and only 5 miles from Bar Harbor. There's a pool, 2 well-located ice machines and they did a good job of making breakfast decent during COVID.

We came to Maine after cancelling our western national park trip due to covid. Maine allows NYers to visit without testing or quarantine. The hotel was pricey but I made reservations last minute so I had to take whatever I could find. The complex is several motel style buildings with a central building for breakfast and a communal pool. We were 3 adults and I reserved a suite which had 2 sleeping areas. The room was updated and clean. The one negative thing about the room was the use of "barn-style doors" which provide absolutely no noise privacy. We were unable to use the pool because of overcrowding by other guest and their lack of social distancing. Wifi password card was not in the room or written on our key folder. We called the front desk and got no answer so we went to the front desk which closed at 9:00pm. We tapped on the door and the agent treated us like idiots when we told her there was no card in the room nor was it written on the key folder as she insisted. Later, we did find it buried at the bottom of the check-in literature but it was not very prominent and easily missed if you don't study the paperwork. I suppose she was annoyed because apparently they close the lobby at 9 and she was off duty. Breakfast was included and the hotel figured out a good procedure to feed the guests and set up seating outdoors. Overall a good stay, we actually extended it one extra night. It's a few miles from Bar Harbor and Acadia so get going early to beat the crowds but overall we felt satisfied with our stay.

We were fortunate enough to check into our room at 10:30 AM. While the Best Western looks like a single story motel from the outside it is much better. We walked in and saw that our room was immaculately clean. The room was large as was the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. They did an excellent job with the grab and go breakfast. Social distancing was maintained on the line to get your food. There was a large assortment including hot items, fruit, cereal, etc. The hotel is only 2 miles from the entrance to Acadia National Park and is a convenient 10 minute drive into Bar Harbor. Our 3 night stay here was an excellent experience.

It was an absolutely wonderful stay, The rooms were very clean and pleasant, you could tell that there was a lot of pride in how they take care of their property. The beds were very comfortable and I slept very well. We stayed in the front part of the end and it was still very quiet. It is also very close to Bar Harbor and Cadillac Mountain which is absolutely beautiful and also Close to a miniature golf and there's lots of things of interest around the area. It is a great place for family, in the back area they have a play area for the children. They definitely have family in mind and want everyone to have a great time.

The room was carefully cleaned and nicely presented. The grounds are attractive and well-maintained. The breakfast was very thoughtfully handled -- the staff prepared each of us a tray based on our requests. I thought that was an excellent touch. The hotel is located an easy 10 minute drive to downtown Bar Harbor. It was a perfect place in which to jump off into the park. I would visit again!

Just a couple of miles north of town center in Bar Harbor, this place is laid out like a motel which makes it SUPER easy access to our room, especially in this day and age of COVID-19. No lobby or elevator to negotiate to get to your room. Safe parking lot to leave the bikes on the car rack. The rooms are simple but very clean, Wi-Fi and roomy enough to leave the bikes during a trip to town. Remember, room access is right from the curb. Pool, playground and picnic tables on the property.

We stayed at the hotel 3 nights during our family vacation to Acadia and Bar Harbor. The hotel is situated conveniently just a few miles from the park entrance and town. Prices were reasonable and only a fraction of the cost of lower quality accommodations located closer to town. The facilities were clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly, helpful and took adequate measures to ensure the safety of patrons during COVID. The extensive breakfast was a nice surprise as most other places only offer grab and go bags...if anything. Thank you for help making our trip memorable and enjoyable.

This is our first time to visit Bar Harbor and first stay in a Best Western hotel. We are very pleased and satisfied ,comfy beds,room is spacious for a family of 4 and perfect location,only 2 miles from Acadia National Park and about 4 miles to Downtown Bar harbor. Parking is right outside our door which is very accessible.Their seasoned staff are all very nice and helpful esp Dorine, Claire and Jill,thank you ladies! Breakfast is ok,multiple choices but are the same everyday, restaurants are about 4 miles drive though and you can do online order and pick up is easy. I commend their Covid 19 protocols,masks and hand sanitizers are in the reception and dinning area,well marked distancing too. My kids are happy with the pool which was near our room and of course the cookies every afternoon..they're the best! Thank you BW!

I stayed here for 2 nights for a weekend mountain biking trip at Acadia. The bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've had in a long time. Our room was close to the road but the very quiet AC blocked any road noise. It was spotless and a quick ride to Bar Harbor or Acadia.

The front desk staff was very friendly and went above and beyond to assure us of our safety during the pandemic. They seemed to be taking everything very seriously. The rooms were clean and comfy. Breakfast was still offered in a safety cautious way. I would stay here again.

I know with all the uncertainty of travel, I wanted to make sure people know that this place does it absolutely right. From when we checked in with Peggy Sue (who is wonderful) there were masks and hand sanitizers readily available. The rooms were very clean, and in great shape. Due to restrictions, the breakfast was all packaged items, and the ladies Claire and Jill were very accommodating. The breakfast was basic (cereal, fruit, coffee muffins). The location of the hotel is Perfect! 10 min drive to the Hulls cove Visitor Center, and just a few minutes more to Bar Harbor. In the other direction a few minutes was a few restaurants and a small winery. The best western staff truly set our minds at ease, and we will be back!!!

This place was fantastic. Great service. Very clean. The staff is wonderful. One of the nicest places inn Bar Harbor. Cannot wait to go back there again. The cookies are fantastic. Close to everything yet very secluded. Great pool. I cannot ssay enough good things about our stay.

We stayed for 2 nights as a base to exploring Acadia National Park (it's less than a 10 minutes drive) and it was one of our best stays during our northeast road trip. The staff was very nice, cookies in the reception and s'mores making kits in the fire pit in the afternoon. The room was huge and clean, they had laundry facilities and the breakfast had great variety compared to other inns and motels we stayed during our trip.

We stayed here for one night. Location is ideal for the Acadia park visitors. The room was comfy and clean. The breakfast was nicely done, a good variety of selections. Staff was friendly. We received excellent service. We would recommend this hotel.

First time staying at a Best Western and we were pleasantly surprised. The property was well maintained. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The rooms had plenty of space, comfortable beds and large bathroom. The location is great. Within a mile of the park. And just a little further into Bar Harbor. I highly recommend this property. I will stay here again.

Friendly and helpful staff at this motel. They welcomed us with warm cookies and popcorn. Free coffee and tea and a homey atmosphere in the lobby. Good breakfast with lots of options. Wild blueberry jam is delicious! The rooms were modern and clean. Beds very comfortable. Plenty of parking right outside the room Well outside Bar Harbor busyness so it was easy to get around..

We are Best Western Gold members and, despite the rave reviews we read, we were a little leery about this property that from the exterior photos looked like an old-fashioned motel. The photos did not tell the story here. The room was very comfortable and modern-as nice as most Best Western Plus properties. The staff was friendly and attentive and the amenities special. Warm cookies in the late afternoon and at night a small fire pit out back where Adam would hand out S'more kits and long sticks to guests-a wonderful event on a chilly night in Maine. The breakfast layout was excellent. Plenty of choice and good quality food. The hotel is only a mile or 2 from the Park Visitor Center; about 20 minutes or so from the top of Cadillac Mountain and about 15 minutes from downtown Bar Harbor. We would stay there again anytime.

Loved our stay! Newly renovated! Room was amazing! King size bed, large bathroom plus a walk-in closet area. Quiet. Friendly warm staff. Plenty of options at continental breakfast. Will definitely stay here again!

Was able to snag the last room at this hotel 3 weeks before we left on vacation and was expecting the worst but was pleasantly surprised. Although they had outdoor room entry, the rooms were large, clean and modern. Breakfast was more than adequate with a good variety. Location was close to Bar Harbor and the entrance to Acadia National Park. The front desk staff was very helpful with recommendations of restaurants and other things of interest in the area. Would stay again without hesitation.

We stumbled upon the Best Western Acadia Inn accidentally. Though regulars in the Bar Harbor area, we were never acquainted with this gem. The price grabbed our attention. The location, cleanliness, staff, and continental breakfast will definitely have us returning. Kudos to all!

This was our second visit to the Best Western Acadia Park Inn.. We visited in 2018 and again this year. The hotel is very nice, clean and convenient. It is conveniently located on Acadia Park but not in a town. Its very close to Bar Harbor but yet in the county so you have quiet and peacefulness. There are lots of restaurants within a 5 to 10 minute drive. Bar Harbor is only about a 10 minute drive. The other Acadia Park attractions such as light houses etc.. are a short drive away. The fire pit and chairs are a nice amenity. Staff are always delightful and very helpful. When you arrive you must ask about the chipmunk, a nice pet and mascot.

Nice new facility located north of the busy Bar Harbor Village district and north of all the other hotels. It was out of the way and quiet. Great property with lots of room, wonderful flowers and very nice staff.

The Best Western Acadia hotel is an excellent hotel for Acadia National Park visitors and is also close to Bar Harbor as well. The rooms are clean, roomy and comfortable. The free breakfast is good as well. It is a very good value for the money spent.

Located about 2 miles to the gate of Acadia National park and 4 miles west of Bar Harbor. Very good value with full breakfast, afternoon snacks (cookies and smores) and 24 hours coffee and tea in the lobby. Newly renovated, plenty of parking, nice and very clean grounds and landscape. Beds were so comfy. Bathroom was new and clean. Enjoyed our stay. Relaxing atmosphere.

I do typically stay at BWs, but this one is extremely nice. It is super clean with a very friendly staff. The breakfast is very good and they have coffee, teas, and snacks available in the lobby for most of the day. I would definitely stay here again.

Rooms were clean and comfortable. The bathroom looked as if it had been remodeled. The beds were very comfortable & wifi was speedy. Breakfast had a great spread! Their cheesy omelets were amazing!!! Definitely would recommend this hotel to others!

Nice area to walk around the site, lots of green space. Staff was able to get deep discounts for harbor cruises. No complaints. Short drive to Acadia park. Restaurants near. Quiet this time of year. Very nice.

Booked this Hotel early in the year, wasn't sure what to expect,the reviews were good, but the Best Westerns in the midwest are run down. The people at the front desk said it had been completely renovated the room was great. The people at the front desk were so nice and full of knowledge about the area. I would definately stay here again if I return to the area.

This hotel has been newly remodeled and brings to mind a vintage motor lodge. The location is away from downtown Bar Harbor and is very quiet even though off the busy road into town. The grounds are lovely with deer sometimes grazing outside your door. The staff were very friendly and hot coffee, tea, cookies and popcorn were available in the lobby with a nice fireplace seating area. Our bedroom with two queen beds was spotless and we had a large bathroom with fluffy towels, a nice shower and loads of hot water. The bathroom had barn doors instead of a door that swung into the bathroom and a night light. A refrigerator, microwave and large flat screen TV were in the room and there were plenty of plugs for electronics. Now for the best part. The hot breakfast varied every day and there were so many hot and cold breakfast items to choose from. The breakfast area was large with a sun room atmosphere and comfortable seating. I asked why this was not a BW Plus and was told the only reason they didn't qualify is that they weren't open year round. There were also some great restaurants nearby where you didn't have to go into Bar Harbor and wait forever for a table. If you really don't like the traffic and commotion of staying in Bar Harbor this is the place to stay. It is still just a few minutes out of town and there are access roads to the Southwest Harbor that keep you away from the traffic mess in town.

We stayed here back in 2007, and spent the whole time struggling with internet access and services. This time, the hotel has had a significant renovation and is sparkling clean, nicely appointed and very comfortable. The staff, especially Dorene, is particularly accommodating. No issues with wifi or anything else. We will stay here again—but off-season, when it's a little more affordable.

Friendly staff. Clean spacious rooms. Activities for everyone to join in. Saw some wildlife. Overall great experience. Breakfast was good. On main drag. Parking spots large. For the price of room great value for what you get.

While the room and the location are great, the staff makes this place exceptional. In the evening Adam makes a fire for quests to make s'mores. He is a great person with great stories. He makes you feel like you are at home with family. The front desk staff is just as friendly as Adam. I would definitely recommend this place.

My husband and I spent 4 nights last week. This motel hit the mark on all fronts. Clean rooms, lovely grounds, spotless laundry room and very welcoming lobby. Very friendly and cheerful staff. An easy car ride to Acadia and downtown Bar Harbor. The breakfast buffet had an array of offerings in a very nice separate building. I hope they consider making the transition away from the small toiletry bottles to wall mounted to help do their part for the environment. We strongly recommend this property.

This is a motel type hotel. Lovely clean and well furnished room. Good breakfast and very helpful staff. Easy to get to Bar Harbor where there are lots of excellent restaurants. Pirate crazy golf close by. Coffee and cakes in reception each after noon is a lovely touch.

This Best Western location is excellent. It is quaint and updated and fresh. The price is a great value. This property looks like it was just opened, clean and fresh and well-appointed. The grounds are perfect. The breakfast rivals any local eatery, and at a much better value. I have stayed a lot at the competition such as Holiday Inn, Hampton, Inn, Quality Inn. This place is superior and I highly recommend it when staying near Bar Harbor.

Best feature was the new clean guest laundry room; breakfast eggs cheese not melted; room dated and small but clean, new nice shower; secure WiFi; good parking; fire pit s'mores and playground nice; office staff helpful; and grounds well maintained. It was just too expensive, we like the Best Western chain but wished we had considered local alternatives.

We were totally satisfied in staying at this Best Western. ALL the staff was very friendly, and so easy to deal with ... the breakfast is scrumptious and plentiful. That staff is awesome. Housekeeping had the room spotless and fresh. Wonderful job. The grounds are meticiously kept. Don't know when we have been to a more well kept location. Flowers were amazing...

We stayed one night at The Best Western Acadia in Bar Harbor. Room was excellent, quiet, roomy, a sitting room with additional tv, very clean. Grounds were lovely too, pool and playground for children. It was convenient to town, 4 or 5 miles by car. Breakfast was great, buffet style, hot and cold items, lots of choices. Price for all we got in Bar Harbor was very good. We will stay again if in Acadia.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights, Location of the Hotel is good, comfortable bed and bathroom. Hotel facilities are very good, including Pool and good parking spots infront of the room. Staffs are very friendly especially the ladies in the breakfast area, they did a awesome job. We really enjoyed the breakfast. One thing we were little uncomfortable was with the shower heads in the bathroom, the water was not flowing properly even after doing some adjustments. May be the hotel management can look into it. But Overall we had a nice stay there. I would recommend this hotel!!!

From the time we registered, until we checked ou we were treated like we were the only guests on the property. They pointed us in the perfect direction for the perfect dinner. Adam was excellent with the. Hildren and adults while all were making s'mores. He was very knowledgeable of the area and wildlife in the area. Breakfast was excellent...many choices and all delicious. I recommend this motel highly.

The rooms are clean and comfortable. All the amenities of home plus cookies in the afternoon with coffee or tea, popcorn in the evening or s'mores! Friendly staff and nice selection for breakfast. You can catch the Bar Harbor free shuttle just about any where from this hotel.

From the moment I arrived at the Motel I knew I had made the best choice...when I walked in the room it was soooo clean. My bed was made to perfection...I felt guilty pulling the blanket and sheets down to get in. I could tell my housekeeper (Odette)went the extra mile to make her rooms exceptional. I was amazed at how quiet it was at night and in the morning. I never heard my neighbors. Breakfast the next day was wonderful, eggs, bacon, waffles, potatoes, toast, muffins and so much more. Each day was a pleasant surprise as the hot items would change. The Staff were very accommodating and made you feel welcome. The fire pit, playground and outdoor pool were great for the kids and the nighttime snack of cookies and cocoa in the lobby were an excellent touch. I can't forget to mention S'mores by the fire pit in the evening were always delicious. I had one of the best vacations at the Best Western Acadia Park Inn. I will definitely be back.

We stayed 3 nights at hotel with our 2 kids (11, 13). Very clean and updated room with small refrigerator and microwave. Breakfast each morning was included and had many different items to choose from. My boys enjoyed swimming in the heated pool after a day of hiking the park. Also, s'mores each night with Adam (supervised the fire) was a treat. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful with any questions. Short drive into town (although along free shuttle route - but we did not use) and close to Acadia National Park. Great miniature golf and ice cream spot down the road! Would definitely return again.

Our family visited Bar Harbor for the first time and other small towns. It is a wonderful place to visit which will not only lift your spirit, but heal the soul. However, staying at this hotel was a very somber like. On our first day we stopped in the main lobby to grab a cup of coffee after a long drive after checking in, my kids also took couple cookies that was offered. Soon after a staff stood up and tried to get into a confrontation with us about the kids touching them, as if my kids where not good enough to have them. Later that night someone happened to be right next door to us, in a separate room that was for handicapThat person would knock on the wall all night up to 1am non stop. The next morning we noticed no one had checked into that room and it stayed empty until our last night. On our last night stay we had left for dinner for my daughter's birthday, when returned that night would be become our worse stay ever. As we tried to pull into our parking spot another person drove into the same spot in an erratic fashion. Now, we had parked every night on the same spot, right in front of our hotel room, and so did everyone else. And sure enough this new guess would be staying in that same room with the handicap parking spot, but he didn't appeared to be handicap. The new guess also would pound on the walls until mid-night, and then woke up at 5am yelling and laugh in the early morning. It happened be the morning we would be checking out. We strongly believe that it was the staff members doing this the whole as to inhumane us, which was immortally wrong and unprofessional. All because of some cookies!?!?!? stayed 1 night fairly close to bar harbor. not sure if it's on bus route a bus driver told me we could use bus number 1 but we didn't try it. they look to have a nice variety for breakfast but it was busy so we didn't try that either.

This property is very hard to beat for the cost. Very clean, great complimentary breakfast and close to both the park entrances and Bar Harbor. Friendly staff, excellent housekeeping and beautiful grounds made this a great home base for our trip.

We stayed here as a family with teenagers and we would definitely recommend this motel. It was spotlessly clean everywhere. The receptionist was extremely helpful and we enjoyed using the free bus to get to the busy Bar Harbor village, which meant we could enjoy happy hour and get the bus back. The pool was great and the beeswax well presented. We will definitely stay here again when back in the area.

The total experience was excellent. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms have been renovated recently and are excellently appointed. The hotel is near Acadia National Park which was a huge plus for us. This is an excellent place to stay.
