Best Western Hotel Augusta

I stayed with family ( 2A 2 teens) at this hotel for 1 night in october as we were on a "romantic" road drive. I had booked a family room so we had 4 single beds. The room was HUGE. tons of space as you can see from the pictures. A small seating area but the sofa looks really old and I actually wonder how clean the upholstery is. As for the rest of the room, it's more or less clean , bathroom is decent. I can't ask for anything more from a best western for a 1 night stay. I didn't opt for breakfast so I can't comment on that. However I needed parking for 1 night which cost EUR15. There are only 5 spaces in front of the hotel. If there is none when you arrive ( if you drive) then you need to park at the indoor garage that is behind the hotel. Thankfully I found the last lot when I Drove in at about 4pm on a weekday. Reception was friendly and processed the check in really quick as everything was already prepaid. Parking is paid on check out. A non eventful stay which is what I need. Location wise it's pretty good. Augsburg CAthedral very very nearby. The MArket is opposite the hotel. NEXT to the hotel is a supermarket so if you're really hungry you can get stuff at the supermarket to eat. Opposite the road is a Coffee Fellows and a pastry shop called : Bäckerei CUMPANUM Augsburg Annastraße - André Heuck. there are other shops around. This hotel is just nice for a 1 or 2 nights stay if one needs a rest stop when driving to see small towns and castles so yes I recommend this place.

We stayed here for 3 nights, in a Family Room. The room on the 2nd floor was massive, with 2 queen beds, pullout sofa, a sitting area, and a desk. There was ample storage space with 3 closets available. The bathroom is small given the size of the room, though. There was a small fridge as well. The location is convenient to the Rathaus area, with numerous restaurants nearby. I loved having a full-size supermarket literally downstairs. Staff was helpful and housekeeping did a good job on the room. All the bedding is down, so request an alternative if you are allergic. Only issue we had was the fact there is a casino in the same building downstairs. This made for some noisy evenings with people talking, yelling and smoking just under our windows in the very late hours of the night. The smoke smell occasionally wafted into our room at times. I understand the hotel offers a nice breakfast for just 7.50 euro as well.

Friendly staff: at reception, at the buffet breakfast and in housekeeping. Their buffet breakfast had a fantastic variety. Whether you were early or late there was always lots of options and plenty of seats; never a shortage. They even had a small area for young ones to play; nothing major but good enough to distract them. We were constantly kicked out of the WiFi but it was easy enough sign back in. Grocery store conveniently located around corner. I'd definitely go back.

Stayed here for 3 nights as we were seeing Adele in Munich, hotel was lovely air conditioning in room was much appreciated, actually had a lovely shower rather than shower over bath. Breakfast on 1st morning was warm rather than hot as i had sausage, bacon and scrambled eggs best thing was I got english Breakfast tea with low fat milk which made me very happy as many European countries don't do this, so was overjoyed. Only thing I can say that let room down was carpet and no fridge but overall had a lovely stay would definitely return if in area.

This is a strange property. Location is close to the city center. Parking is behind the hotel and very inconvenient. Breakfast is not included and the cost is $15 Euros. Don't pay it. You are in walking distance from a bakery, a Starbucks, and a McDonalds all where you can get breakfast for half that. The rooms are huge - almost too big for the configuration. Room is spacious, but the bathroom is tiny. Shag carpet which is an interesting choice for a hotel. Rooms are clean. Towels, etc outside the bathroom because the bathrooms have zero storage or counter space. Hotel staff is not particularly welcoming. You definitely feel like you're in the principal's office. Rigid is the word I would use to describe the experience. It wasn't a terrible experience, but probably would try something different if I'm in the area again.

Friendly staff and great price quality ratio together with benefits like parking in front of hotel and walking distance to city center makes this hotel the ultimate stay over location on trips to Italy or the southbound.
