"Old fashioned"
g y, 02 Octobre 2021

They tried to give me all the time old fashioned stinky rooms despite there are renewed rooms available . I used to go BW for business trips but not anymore . This is the last time. Even a cooperation with your company, the staff is not helpful as well. Think twice when you go for business trip

"Simple and a bit run down "
Innino1, 12 Novembre 2019

This is a very simple hotel that is starting t o show its age. If you must stay here avoid summer time (no ac) and rooms in the 300 series. They are a long walk away and close to a busy road. It will feel like you are sleeping in the middle of the road. Breakfast is also quite basic and simple compared to other hotels I have stayed in around Sweden. Next time I am in Askersund I look for something else.

"Excellent stay in Askersund"
Ana_L_23, 30 Septembre 2019

Excellent breakfast that was served to us 30min before the official time, which was great because we had to go to Tiveden NP, and wanted to start as early as possible. Comfortable beds, spacious rooms, good shower pressure. Very good staff, willing to do the extra mile for the customer to be happy. I totally recommend the place.

"Ok, but good prices"
xmats, 19 Août 2019

Older hotel that could do with a bit of updating, but clean and working well. Very nice staff. Some of the rooms are close to the main road and a bit noisy, the rooms facing the water seem much nicer. Good prices and a good breakfast buffet.

"Not a chance of getting any sleep on a Saturday night"
AmeliaJT2015, 20 Juillet 2019

I don't write many reviews & haven't written a bad one before but feel I have a duty to warn others about this place. It's 1.45am and I'm writing this review as we don't stand a chance of sleeping due to the bizarre antics of local young men parked up in a Volvo next to the hotel playing intermittent bass music from amps in the boot of their car. If they were having a full on rave out there I could understand it & probably ignore it but you just drop off to sleep when they fire out another burst to wake you up. The only conclusion I can come to is that they want to put people off staying at the hotel. Management here say it happens every weekend & there's nothing they can do about it. If you are looking for a good night's sleep on a Saturday then avoid this place. Thank god we only booked one night...

"Simple but quite ok"
NorthernSwede, 18 Juin 2018

Spent a nite here doing some work nearby. Rooms are rather basic and at least my bed was small, however comfy. Room was equipped with a minibar and all the other trinklets one need to survive the night. Just make sure to get a room thats not facing the main road, a lot of traffic there and if you wanna keep your window open at night for some cool air, the noise from the trucks will bother you. Rooms was clean and tidy. Breakfast was good, plenty of hot and cold dishes to pick from, you wont leave hungry. Staff is attentative and service is good, no complaints there, the hotel also has a large parking zone if you arrive by car. Locationwise you can pretty much walk to any place in the city. Next time Im in town, I will stay at Best Western again.

"Great for when traveling in work!"
EmilSF, 18 Septembre 2017

Nice rooms and a good breakfast. Good for when traveling in work, can be hard to get room in short notice. The breakfast start early and it's plenty tables to seat at so you can get a quite time in the morning.

"Friendly staff, convenient location"
graemet_12, 23 Juin 2017

A group of us stayed at the hotel whilst participating in the annual Vatternrundan cycle event. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful - even arranging breakfast for us at 11pm (the cycle ride was through the night). Pleasant rooms, good restaurant.

"Friendly staff - nice location"
Guðrún G, 24 Juin 2016

Stayed for 4 nights on when participating in Vatternrundan sports event. The rooms are rather small, but comfy. Bathroom is good with a shower. Bed is good. Spa area is very good for tired cyclist - good sauna and big jacussi. All staff very friendly and do everything to make your stay as good as possible. One night we needed to leave in the middle of the night and they made us breakfast - and when we left very early to go to the airport they made us breakfast boxes. Good WiFi and free coffee all day long is something I loved and appreciated. The neighborhood is beautiful - I will certainly come back again.

"Not a lot of choice in Askersund"
RichardNorfolk, 03 Octobre 2015

I had been driving on a long business trip from Gothenburg for around 4 hours and it was getting dark and late and I was very tired. Decided to pull into the next hotel I would see, along a stretch of road (50 miles) which didn't seem to have any towns let alone any hotels along the route. I was pleasantly surprised to find this hotel and although it had the monopoly in the town it did offer a clean, comfy bed and had friendly and helpful staff. Not a bad hotel if you are stuck in this neck of the woods.

"beautiful setting for this hotel"
da149, 13 Août 2015

Arrived late at night and luckily the hotel was able to give us a single room with a camp bed set up in it, was really adequate and at least the bar stayed open until late so no food but some liquid refreshments! a good nights sleep and an excellent breakfast with plenty of choice and restocked as needed, the dining area looks a bit dated and could do with a bit of modernisation yet a walk around the village made me realise the whole place is in a bit of a time warp!! some of the hairdressing salons had interesting window displays some included a stuffed seagull and a mounted fish head with a lure in its mouth???! and another had a rather scary model stood mid salon, another had a model cannon in the window all rather bizarre. But a beautiful place to stay and chill out.

"Uninspiring"
Quartermain2015, 13 Mai 2015

The hotel is located on the outskirts of the small town centre adjacent to the quay. It is reminiscent of a Travel Lodge, with a large parking lot and Shell garage at the front. The food is homely although it doesn't take long to work your way through the menu. However, the breakfast smorgasbord is possibly the highlight. The rooms are relatively small, and i have encountered some where the central heating is less than toasty (an issue when it -8C outside). The pool and sauna are good, although the gym is small and poorly equipped.

"Business Stay"
ConquistadoreN49, 09 Janvier 2014

Hotel with a distinct nautical theme and design in a great area of Sweden. In the heart of a likely busy tourist area in the summer. The area has good sailing with many islands and bays. Very nicely desorated eating areas.
