Best Western Casa Grande Inn

The beds were comfortable. It had HBO & Showtime channels so we could watch TV without commercials. The continental breakfast was good. It included cereals, breads, packaged pastries, yogurt, fresh fruit, waffles, sausage, bacon, and scrambled eggs. There were 3 types of juice, 2% milk, and coffee. There were various toppings for the waffles, yogurt, and cereals. This hotel is easy to get to from the highway. The property is on a low hill and it is beautifully landscaped. It has a pool, spa, and exercise room. There is only one elevator. We used the stairs on our side of the property.

Nice and clean rooms. The gal at the front desk was awesome and the two fellas helping out were great too! Pool and spa was perfect for the kids and we all enjoyed their breakfast. Will be coming back to stay for his summer for sure! Keep it up Thanks again! The Monroe Family

I was very happy with my one-night stay here - room was clean and bed was comfortable; overall this hotel is a great value. Two things to note: 1) there was a line for check-in, but the front desk associate (whose name I did not catch) was friendly and efficient (and apologized for the wait), and 2) I thought I left something behind, and when I called a few days later, Rita was extremely helpful in trying to locate it, although I found it later in my trunk. I would stay here again!

All things are so good~ The room, two breakfast rooms, and quiet surroundings are nice and friendly. And it's nice that there are a lot of female grandparents around. In particular, Pismo Beach is excellent, the nearby hot springs are good, and there are many different things to eat, which is especially good.

Room and bed were very comfortable. But parking was horrible. Workmen with huge trucks parked close the the rooms rather than on the perimeter or back parking. It made it horrible for guests to get in and out of spaces near our rooms. BW should help guests by ensuring large vehicles don't create problems for other guests.

Our room was spacious and comfortable. All the amenities were in excellent working order. The breakfast buffet was vast and delicious and there was a huge variety of items on it. The service was efficient and courteous. It was, all in all, an excellent value for our money.

I stay at this hotel every time that I come to the Central Coast, for business or leisure. The accommodations are excellent, the staff are wonderful, and the continental breakfast is really a full breakfast buffet with a great selection of hot and cold entrees. I highly recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel great price and location. Hot tub was nice and relaxing after a day running around on the beach to relax. Breakfast was good. Wish there was some sausage with the bacon though will stay there again my next trip to the coast. Thanks for a great stay

Receptionist lady in the morning of 3/23 and 3/24 was very rude. Also the hot tub jets were not working and were not fixed. Other than that the rooms were excellent. And the cleaning ladies were also very polite. Helped to get clean towels in our rooms.

A spacious hotel with unusual character. Loved the atmosphere. The staff were so kind to my family traveling with young kids and gave us a free room upgrade. The breakfast was more substantial than expected, too. But no gluten-free option and the eggs and bacon were pretty low quality. Overall, this would be a great place for a family to vacation and we loved our stay.

We are returning customers who used to live in the Pismo Beach area. We love the Spanish ambiance and gorgeous lobby, cookies and coffee in afternoons, and breakfast. The rooms were updated awhile ago so beginning to show their age, no USB ports on lamps to charge phones etc. but all the necessities like fridge, micro, flat screen TV. The evening and day check in staff were friendly and efficient. We extended our days twice so stayed a week comfortably. Great location to Hwy 101 but quiet, easy walking to several restaurants and shops, very short drive to Walmart and movie theater and just minutes to Pismo & Shell Beach without the higher hotel prices. We've stayed here multiple times in past 10 years and continue to return as we find most BW hotels to be reliable in all important ways - and the Casa Grande is one of our favorites.

very nice all help was attentive and met my needs. Nice clean rooms. good breakfast. conveniently located to shopping and restaurants. lovely old California look to the buildings. safe courtyard parking and shielded from road noise. Enjoyed my stay.

It was very pleasant and enjoyed the location and clean rooms Enjoyed the breakfast and the area was very nice that we were able to go to and from family and the ocean. And all up-and-down the area of the coast. I could use another notch, but. Everything was good.

Love the breakfast, hot tub, the staff is friendly and welcoming, and the rooms are nice and clean and bigger than most places i know of. I like the atmosphere and look of the hotel too. Not much negative to say. Even the parking lot is safe to leave stuff. Never had anything stolen and had police talk to me (make sure I m not stealing my stuff) a couple times. So that's good and bad, mostly good tho.

Great price for suites, one exit away from pismo beach. Free breakfast. Nice heated pool. Nice nig jacuzzi. Very nice staff. Lots of food places close by. It feels like home. Been coming here for the past 20 years. Simple check in and out. Lots of extra parking in back.

During check-in, I was informed there was an additional $100.00 fee, which would be refunded. When I questioned it, I was informed the information was on the Best Western website as well as the Best Western Casa Grande Inn website. When I stated it was not, I was then told I was informed of this charge during check in. My final bill shows a balance of $0, while my charge card statement shows the full charge of $228.07-no refund. Upon contacting the hotel and Best Western this morning, I was told Best Western hotels are individually owned & operated, so the chain has no record of how each hotel operates. The hotel informed me I was not charged but I would receive a refund in approximately 30 days. This is bordering on illegal practices & I will no longer stay @ Best Western Hotels.

beautiful property, excellent location, welcoming staff, good breakfast, fabulous room! the shower was excellent - really appreciated that the shower had shampoo, conditioner, and body wash already available which is great (i didn't have to pack it myself). since i'm a best western rewards member so i received a goodie bag right at check in ( i felt so special). highly recommended!

Gorgeous grounds with murals and waterfalls plus having a large room made this a great stay. Breakfast was good. The bed was comfortable. Shower was amazing. Very nice rooms (the 2 queen had a double vanity and a mini bar sink) and I would definitely stay again.

Such a great experience. Booked last minute online with no issues. Beautiful and clean hotel. Restroom could use an update/upgrade but otherwise it was 5 stars. Breakfast was a plus too and the beds were so comfy!! I would definitely go back.

The room we had was once nice, 2 counters with sink, lots of cabinets, thick but worn carpet. But the bathroom was tiny and the fan that cameon with the light hung down and was super noisy. The room was dark due to the decorative overhang. Beds good. I had considered staying 2 nights because of our schedule, but decided to do it somewhere else. Big problem $100 deposit to make sure I didn't steal the ironing board…….

My company makes my reservations. I came in a day early. Parked behind the property waiting for approvals. Was cofronted by a unknown guy. No name tag. Logo shirt etc ..banged on my car , yelling get the "f" out of here. Tried to tell him what was happing. He continued to be verbally abusive. So I departed. Completely shaken from my ptsd...I checked in the next day, the verbally abusive person was DILLION...Spent 2 sleepless nights fearing DILLON,would return to bang on my door and continued verbal abuse. When I mentioned the issue to the front desk. Got a "oh, I'm sorry you experienced an issue" was told the Manager Rita would get back. But never did. If you love snooty. Elitist staff great....it's for you! Lastly. the front desk clerk dismissed Dillions behavior as that "he's new" .

We had problems with loud neighbors late at night but the staff was very accommodating and moved out room after trying to quiet the group at about 12:00 am. The next morning I found out the management refunded my money for the night. The rest of the staff was great.

A very satisfying experience. The staff was first-rate and extremely helpful. Moreover, the room was comfy and clean. Also, all the amenities needed to ensure a pleasant stay were available. And the price was certainly right. So glad we decided to stay there.

Clean affordable, convenient, easy access, friendly staff, breakfast incl. Nice pool and area. Beautiful lobby full of gallery quality art and decor. Old Spanish motif carried throughout the property from wall murals to room decor and tile. Would def stay here again.

The staff were very friendly. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel is located near shopping and restaurants. My grandsons really enjoyed the pool. I have stayed here before and have always been pleased with my stay.

We stayed at this hotel about 2 years ago and was very impressed. We booked 2 days expecting the same experience. We looked forward to coming back. This time things were looking rundown. Location is great—near Pismo Beach. Breakfast was only ok. Staff at checkout was very helpful.

Comfortable room and beds, convenient location, hot and fast breakfast. Friendly front desk with wonderful holiday decor in the lobby. Housekeeping quickly supplied body wash that's emptied in our bathroom.

It was an older property but I could see the beauty from years past. The rooms were clean and I loved the lobby! It looked beautiful for Christmas. We were towing a trailer and there was a back parking lot with plenty of room to turn around and park for the night.

This is our second time staying here. This time we noticed it was a pet-friendly hotel, so we brought our dog with us. This time we stayed two nights and we loved there was a miniature dog walk. It was wonderful and dog-friendly.

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were kind. The room was clean. I really enjoyed the free breakfast. I will always stay at this Hotel when I visit this area. I will recommend this to my all my family and friends!

We like the pool temperature and the hot tub. My husband likes that the breakfast selection is more than just continental. We stop over here every year. With fridge and microwave and low midweek prices, it is a super convenient and comfortable layover for our trips up and down 101. Pets allowed in some rooms.

Very clean well maintained property. Friendly staff and a great swimming pool. We left our dog at home but it seemed all the guests had dogs. We were pleased with how quiet everyone was too. Will be back for sure

This was our 5th time we stayed at this place. We really like it and will stay again if we ever get back here. Beautiful landscape and a great breakfast! Everyone is friendly and professional. We are now living in Tennessee!

The hotel was in a good location however our room had plumbing issues, which is normal for an older hotel understandable. The tech came in and could not fix it, then the bathtub filled up with black water, that was a new one. It was disgusting, called the front desk and asked for a different room so we could shower and leave, they moved us to a large suite which was nice.... Or so we thought, we woke up with bug bites all over our face, I was so shocked! Right on my eye and cheekbone area, I was terrified when I looked in the mirror. Went downstairs to let them know and check out, didn't want to be in that room any longer than I needed. The response was, ok we will deep clean. They didn't seem to care at all. The bites are so bad my eye has swollen shut, doctors apt tomorrow make sure it isn't anything serious. I have never had an experience like this at a hotel room and we do travel frequently especially to this area since our daughter attends CalPoly. Beware before booking, I am currently writing this with one eye shut!!

This was a free room for points stay. We were upgraded to a king/queen suite, which was unexpected and very welcome. The room was huge, with one bed in a separate room. The beds were very comfortable and so were the pillows. A/C worked well. The room was quiet and had everything we needed. The water pressure in the shower was a little weak, but it's always that way in the area. The last time I stayed here was 30 years ago and there has obviously been a lot of updating done during that time. But this is still an older property and expectations should be adjusted accordingly. Breakfast was nothing special, but met our needs. I would stay again and I would even pay for the larger room.

Great hotel. It's a little on the older side but has a ton of charm and is well maintained. It can be a lively place if you are in a room near the pool, but it isn't overly rowdy and people respected quiet hours every night we were there. Loved our room. The overall style/theme of the hotel is really cool. With an old spanish style feel to it. Included breakfast is a nice touch. The setup they have is cozy and comfortable. With the breakfast room right above the pool area. One thing we noticed was that the water had an odd taste and smell to it. Like a slight algae taste. Nothing too worrisome. More than fine for showering and brushing your teeth, but we drank filtered water just in case. Onsite laundry is coin operated and one of their machines is broken. Getting change for the machine was a little tricky but being able to do laundry onsite is nice. WIFI is decent. Good enough to watch Netflix in the evening. Front desk staff was okay depending on who we interacted with. Asking to exchange money for quarters to do laundry with one person felt like pulling teeth, but then another front desk person was incredibly helpful. Location is great. Walking distance from Starbucks and a grocery store via a little trail, which is super convenient. And located right next to a freeway entrance so you have quick access to downtown Pismo and beaches. If you're in Pismo, I would recommend staying here.

The rooms are always clean. The beds are comfortable. Breakfast is great with several options. The grounds are beautiful. The pool and location are topping on the cake. We love this best western. We will be back again soon!

The Casa Grande Inn is among the coolest Best Western hotels I stayed at. The bed was comfortable, the pool area was good as well as the breakfast. Unfortunately, the staff didn't tell us about the second, bigger breakfast room in the main building. But we had a good breakfast with a view of the pool. The hotel and the room was clean.

The pool was really nice and warm enough. The staff was gracious and eager to be helpful. Breakfast was also good. The building/room appeared to be quite old but well maintained. Overall we would come back again.

Beautiful place to stay, room was spacious and clean, pool and hot tub were as well, staff was friendly and helpful, nicest place we stayed on our 10 day trip in California . I would recommend this place to anyone. Breakfast was excellent, eggs, bacon, waffles, fruit etc.

Beautiful and private hotel with Western theme. Huge room that was very clean. Heated large pool and even a sauna. Great pool area with restrooms and patio. Breakfast served in two lovely locations. Downfall, sleep quality is highly affected by thin walls. The neighboring showers and faucets above and to sides are extremely loud and sound like they are going to come through wall. Bummer, because the rest is so nice. Would definitely try this hotel again, maybe with ear plugs.

This best western was pretty good, I'd say standard as best westerns go, the beds were good in my opinion but they are on the firmer side so if you don't like that then you probably won't like these beds, The room was also a little dark for my liking and there were very new outlets. Other than that the room was big, there was a microwave, mini fridge, and counter sink. The bathroom was pretty good, on the bigger side, good shower and two sinks outside the bathroom bringing the total sinks to three. The breakfast was not the best, mediocre at best, bacon and eggs but the waffles were good, coffee, tea, juice, bagels, breads, and individually packaged muffins were also available. The room was relatively quiet, you could hear the room above you but I brought earplugs so it didn't bother me too much. For $122 I can't complain too much, it was good for a night or probably even for a couple nights.

This Best Western Plus has a western look which is quite cool. Parking near your room may be difficult if you go out for the day and return late. That area fills up. The pool area is generally filled with familiesa and lots of noisy children (no knock on children-- they were having a blast), but too noisy for us and also would not recommend a room near the pool because of the noise. But other than that, we would recommend this hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast as what you would expect-- maybe a cut above the 'usual" -- two locations and includes outdoor tables and chairs if desired.

The room we stayed in was shabbily and dingy. The whole place is in desperate need of a makeover. The carpet in our room was torn , dirty, and smelled. The bathroom floor had built up dirt in the corners, the the fan vent was dirty. Everything in the room was old and worn out. I wouldn't stay there again unless they do a remodel.

I would rate it 4.5, but that is available and felt it was better than 4. The rooms were clean and large. The value was great we were on a baseball tournament and other were paying twice what we did. I slept great there, would definitely stay there again.

We love staying at this hotel for its proximity to Pismo, Grover Beach and Avila Cove. The rooms are spacious and clean. The old California west theme is charming. The pool and jacuzzi are a favorite for the kids. Breakfast has good options. Good value for a family vacation.

run down rooms and property mainly a hotel for workers they eat all of the breakfast items and take up all of the parking spaces. Noisy little or no staff and the staff was not well schooled in how to handle customers

We arrived and received a complementary gift bag for being members. The room was huge and everyone slept great. The pool and spa are fantastic. The hotel is close to the beach and pier. We really enjoyed our time.

Amazing time! Everything was clean, pet friendly and quaint! Couldn't have asked for a better trip. My son loved the pool and jacuzzi also. We definitely will be back . It is close to Pismo and the main strip.

Stayed here several years ago. The decor is awesome and very authentic. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast had a good variety and tasted great. It is a very unique property sitting on a hillside. Will definitely stay there again

Stay is comfortable, rooms are decent. Pool facilities are good. How we the breakfast needs a major upgrade. It is very basic and not worth having more that for one morning, this is a major weak spot.

Have always stayed at this Best Western and found it to be very clean and well managed. The people are great! This past weekend when I tried to reserve a room in April I was quoted a price for two nights doubled for what I paid for the two nights this Friday and Saturday. With those prices I can stay in San Luis Obispo. Why have the prices increased so much? I am a Diamond Elite member and when I asked the clerk about the increase they stated "That's our price". Unfortunately at those prices I will not be back.

It was a nice room, but the bed needed more blankets. The thin sheet/comforter was not enough warmth. When asked for a blanket, all they had was a thin stained blanket. They had water and coffee available in the lobby which was nice.

Check in was fast and easy. Great front desk staff, friendly and helpful. Room was spotless and quiet. Had protein choices for breakfast - low carb. Friendly guest service at breakfast. Easy to find. Great looking property.

We were on a road trip and located this Best Western Casa Grande Inn on a search. Generally we have good stays with Best Westerns so we booked this one on our drive. When I called, I requested a quiet room & was told by the young man on duty that they were not busy. It was late when we arrived, so we were ready for showers and sleep. As we took the only elevator and walked to our room, we passed 5 rooms (doors all open) of loud, rowdy young men on a sports team and their rooms reeked of pot. Their chaperones were on the floor below. Our room had no towels, so when I reported this at the front desk I was made to follow a trainee from linen closet to linen closet all over the property to collect towels. When I returned to the room my friend said the kids next door were very loud to the point of disturbing. So I called the desk to report this. Getting another room was a hassle dealing with the young man on duty and we finally got a smaller room on the other side of the property. Will not choose this place again. Ever.

The rooms could use some up grading but love the landscaping & lobby. New carpet would improve the rooms a lot! Breakfast was great. Like the building it was in over looking the pool. Sorry to see the restaurant was closed. I suppose Covid didn't help We ended up at AJ Spurs which was right up the street It was too cold to use the pool but I would bet it's nice in the summer time.

We have been staying at the Casa Grande for 20? years. We drive from LA to Big Sur 2-3 times each year and overnight at Arroyo Grande. We've stayed in a few around there and find the Casa Grande just the best!!!! Quiet comfortable clean, friendly staff..... It's perfect for us in every way.

We had a great time staying in this well-maintained, well decorated and beautifully landscaped BW Casa Grande Inn. Located in a nice neighborhood and close driving distance to touristy places, shows, restaurants, freeway, etc. Staff are friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. Amenities included were microwave, minifridge, hairdryer, coffee, and comfortable furniture. Grateful that they also have a full breakfast from 6.30 to 9.30 am. We will be back!

We rode our Harley's from Los Angeles to Big Sur. We reserved rooms at BW Arroyo Grande and we were pleasantly surprised. Nice hotel with a Spanish Rancho theme to it. I've already recommended it to our other military friends and family. We will definitely be staying here again. BTW, they honor military with a discount which is a big plus in my book.

The room smelled so rancid and moldy that it bordered on uninhabitable. It was so bad that we left before they opened the breakfast room for the free breakfast the next morning. To add to this, there was a room of highway workers in the next room who were loud and inconsiderate. It was such a bad experience, it was like we were being pranked into the worst motel stay ever.

Visiting family in the area for thanksgiving. We were so close to them as well as stores for last minute items. The hotel has a very nice mission style decor and friendly staff. Overall, a nice place to stay!

Nice complimentary breakfast, beautiful property and garden. Perfect for dogs with plenty of grass area for your pet. Great location overall. I wish the breakfast options would cater to special diets (gluten free, dairy free).

This is the best hotel in the Arroyo Grande / Pismo Beach area. Stayed here many times during the past 10 years, and the accommodations are consistently excellent. The staff is friendly, rooms are well maintained, and the buffet breakfast includes a wide variety of hot and cold items. A good value for this popular tourist destination.

1. The TV feed needs an upgrade. Difficult to view local TV stations. The hand held only set on cable. The programs on cable were not news worthy. Needs improvement. 2. Good location for stopover for those traveling from LA to Bay Area. 3. Although BW location is tucked on a hillside, it is accessible, 4. Best room rate is during the week, but generally mid-range costs. 5. On-line reservation is very convenient, if there are other amenities like handicap room, its best to call front desk.......very accommodating if rooms are available, of course. 6. Folks at the front desk are always polite and try to accommodate our requests.

Ok location and quiet location. This hotel is on the hill by chain stores and not within walking distance of downtown Pismo. It has good free parking and very quiet at night. The pool is located at tge enterance and not too loud. Close to a Taco Bell and Grocery store is across the street. There's a grocery outlet within walking distance through the parking lot there's a bridge.

I loved staying at this Best Western. The staff is friendly, helpful and they go out of their way to make your stay comfortable and relaxing. The room was clean and the grounds are gorgeous. The pool is heated and the spa is relaxing. I highly recommend this place.

Great hotel with quality and consistency for guests. The full breakfast was great and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Really...if you're coming to the south county of the central coast - stay here and get real value. Right across the street is the great A.J. Spurs restaurant where they serve dinner "chuckwagon-style." You'll love both places and the hotel is right off the Highway 101, but it is very quiet.

Rooms are large with microwaves and small refrigerators. No carpeting which I really appreciate. Housekeeping is very accommodating. Beds were a little firm and lumpy, but better than most in this price range. There was an area to hose off our dogs after going to the beach, which was so helpful.

Great beds and cozy soft bedding in large room with wet bar (love not having to share a vanity) microwave, fridge, large TV. Nice property with old Spanish character. The hot tub and pool looked inviting although we didn't use.

We stayed overnight while passing through town. This hotel has a very unique ambiance! The lobby is really impressive and has lots of interesting artwork on display, as well as a welcoming fireplace. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a king room. It was small, but not cramped. It was clean and had everything we needed. We were able to park right outside our room, making it easy to unload. The breakfast was in a small room that overlooks the pool, and was decent. We did not use the pool. We did have to do some laundry, and had some issues but they were quickly resolved. There is a nice little garden path area in the middle of all the buildings. The rooms are on several different levels because the hotel is built on a hill. There was nothing within walking distance of this hotel, but it is very convenient to the 101 and a short drive down to the beach boardwalk area. I would definitely stay here again.

The bed pillows were enormous, and were at first, difficult to sleep on. My wife and I had a room that pet dogs are allowed in. FYI they are different from the people only rooms. Breakfast was satisfactory and the staff was accomodating.

It was a great looking Spanish hotel, we loved the interieur. They gave us a very big room on the groundfloor in the main bilding, it was very luxury and close to the breakfastroom. It was just for one night, would stay longer.

It was a nice room, good big shower! Friendly desk staff, it was pretty quiet so we had a good nights sleep and it was easy to find. Great for a stopover. Pool looked nice too. Breakfast wasn't bad there was a mix of things to eat and waffles to cook yourself. Be warned breakfast finishes at 9.30am.

We spent one night at BW Casa Grande Inn en-route to SF. The location is great for easy access to shops and restaurants at Pismo Beach, as well as the Premium Outlets. The accommodation itself has a quirky colonial Spanish feel but we really liked that. It was a different experience to the other hotels we stayed at during our holiday. We were upgraded to a family room with two seperate bedrooms and a large living area. We loved the space the room provided and although the decor was a little outdated, we did enjoy our stay here. I'd certainly recommend this place to others who are open to new and different experiences - this isn't like a typical hotel you may stay at so keep an open mind and enjoy the experience!

We stayed 1 night, place was ok. Rooms are dated, breakfast was ok. For the price, it didn't seem like it was worth it. Parking was right outside the room so that was a plus. Was not able to walk to beach. No safe in room Good for a night if you don't mind paying a little more for an average place.

We had such a good time. Trip started right when we got a free upgrade to a pool side suite. Found a perfect dinner spot within a couple minutes of hotel. Then had a nice free simple breakfast and hit splash for lunch...everything within 10 minutes of hotel...thank you amd can't wait to come back...girlfriend loved the decor...

We've been staying here for several years whether it's the whole family staying or just the hubby and I we absolutely love it conveniently located but I especially love the hot tub!!! We usually stay in the family suite this time the hubby and I stayed in the king suite poolside and I am in love!!!

As soon as we walked in the room, there was an atrocious odor coming from the bathroom and the room in general. It was so bad that my partner and I just left the best western, went to our event and then went back home. Bottom line is that there is a cleanliness issue and we did not feel comfortable staying there. I've stayed at many motels in my life that have been less than great but this odor was enough to make me just say forget it I'M OUT.

This BW is one of our favorites! It was also our first time staying at a hotel with our dog but the front desk were very helpful and assigned us a room on the first floor that was clean and spacious. There's also a small beautiful dog area right in the middle of the hotel. The one star I left out is due to the building being slightly older so you can hear people walking around, rolling their suitcases through the hallway and if the person above you is heavy footed, you can definitely hear them stomping around. Besides that, we had a restful night and I still think they have the comfiest pillows in all the hotels/motels I've stayed at. Please tell me what type of pillow it is. I need one. Anyway, we love this side of town and although we don't come as often as we'd like, I know that I will always choose this BW.

The architecture is beautiful in a lovely area. The staff is very accommodating. Even though the property looks like it has some age with it, it is beautifully kept. The lobby is caught my attention with the great architecture. Internet is a bit slow but it got the job done. Definitely worth the value. I would stay again!

This best western is one of my favorite best westerns! Great large rooms and very friendly staff. Places to eat are walkable and shopping. And just 20 minutes away from cal Poly university. Lot's is good places to eat and near the beach if you drive.

I stayed for a few days as an out patient at the nano institute for a full knee replacement. It's next door and the hotel staff was fantastic. Every time I needed something they were so helpful. That included housekeeping , front desk and anyone else we walked into. Great resort.

This Best Western Motel in Arroyo Grande is awesome and very clean. The pool has a water fall and is clean also.I give it 10 star. We will be visiting again soon. I really like the price range and is close to the beach.

This hotel was beautiful. Lots of beautiful artwork that we learned was the owners personal collection. And it was easy to get to Pismo Beach and Morro Bay. Staff was wonderful. Close to freeway access.

My pillow was stained and the room smelled. The tv was to dark to see. There were huge stains on the floors. Local construction workers were staying at this place and in my experience that usually means cheap and no care for the quality of the rooms. The breakfast was ok but nothing special at all. This place says it's a 3 star but it's definitely a 2 star and reflects it. We stayed in a double queen. I'm not sure if the poolside rooms are better or not.

I have been staying at the Best Western Casa Grande Inn every time I visit the Five Cities area, usually once a month. The accomodations are excellent at this well managed hotel. There are two breakfast rooms, both of which offering a full breakfast buffet with much more than the usual continental breakfast. Everyone on the staff is friendly and always willing to help. There is a computer in the lobby for guests to use, and not being computer savvy I needed guidance, which the desk clerk was able to provide. The location of this hotel is close to excellent restaurants, like Ada's, Rosa's or Brad's in Pismo Beach, along with shopping and movie theaters. Even the city bus is handy if you don't have a car, or prefer not to drive. I always look forward to staying at this hotel.

We had a great stayed in this hotel, they accommodated our early checked in. Super comfortable bed and pillows. Breakfast is awesome, lot. of choices. Location is perfect, easy access to Freeway 101. Highly recommend to our friends.

We were here for a wedding and this was an affordable but high class hotel. I was impressed with the architecture and how it fit into the community of Arroyo Grande so beautifully. We loved the pool and jacuzzi, really lovely space and appreciated the luxurious, well appointed rooms.

Upon checking in we were informed that we had been upgraded to a Suite! Everyone working here were great and helpful. This hotel is located in a great location within several restaurants. Will be coming back here again

We had a good stay although the people above us were loud and stomping late at night. Also, the ice machine was not working and or no ice Available. The breakfast was good and the person was working really hard keeping everything stocked. She deserves a raise. Thank you Best Western for having a nice clean room for us. Very nice. The room with two queen beds was very spacious and clean. We asked for extra towels. Staff was friendly and helpful. We did not do the breakfast, but did do coffee in the main lobby. Would recommend to family and friends.

The design and layout of the hotel -though a classic BW with all what one would expect- is quite unique, elegant and inviting. Spacious. Quiet. The serve-yourself breakfast was perfect, even included a waffle maker and bagels, not common these days. You can go in and out and just grab a coffee, or a basic breakfast to eat outdoors, indoors or in your (spacious, clean) room.

Very nice, spacious enough for 3 people, kitchenette-ish good, cleanliness was good- carpet in that room probably needs to be replaced- tears in it and felt kind of gross under feet, other than that, highly recommend this one- easy access. Breakfast was nice too!

An excellent facility. Rooms are large and nicely appointed. Staff were prompt and helpful. I forgot toothpaste and they had small samples. Breakfast was very good, and the area was clean and well stocked.

This place is nice. The rooms are spacious and have comfortable beds with nice pillows . There is a nice pool and hot tub to relax in. They are right next to a shopping center. This might just be the nicest place in the area. If you are planning a trip to Pismo I recommend staying here. They have pet friendly rooms so you can bring the dogs with you.

DON'T STAY HERE!!! The parking here is horrible for disabled. There are 2 spots for the entire building and really not enough other spots for the rooms. I had to park in in between two cars in handicapped spots. I am disabled and have a placard. Then I was called at 10 p.m. and told I was parked illegally and would be towed if not moved. Apparently I was actually in the loading spot for the handicapped spot, yet that was not clearly marked (at least in the dark). I was already in bed, so I went out in my robe and slippers to move it, I was greeted by a woman employee in the parking lot and I asked where I was supposed to park and she said there are spots behind the building and there was some back entrance. There were spots back there with semi trucks and RVs and then the back entrance had a flight of stairs, really?!? I hurt my bad hip and knee climbing them and got back to my room. I called the front desk to say I was not happy about this and asked if someone had complained and the same woman told me no, they just saw my car, then she tells me she thinks I hit the car next to me with my door when I got in to move it!! I know I didn't and told her so, but she said I heard a definite “thunk”, so I asked if she had any proof, was there any of my paint on the car? She says she did not have a chance to investigate it yet, really, she was right there! I went back out to investigate myself and found the car had dings all along that side and nothing that looked fresh or my color paint, I took pictures. The room was not that great either, especially for the amount charged, the bathroom was small and dingy, like you'd expect in a Motel 6, the bedding was rough and a ratty blanket covered by a thin cover. I won't be staying here again!! Many other choices around!

Reasonable nice place to stay friendly and courteous receptionist morning breakfast is a real bonus I have stayed at three different Best Western hotels recently and planning more stays in the future looking forward to it

Nice hotel and room we stayed in was clean and spacious. Hotel is close to a few restaurants and good location for the beach. Pool was out of action which was disappointing but we were only there for one night. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful experience, and this was our third time staying here. They offer a nice breakfast, great resort like location. The staff goes out of their way to help you. They provide a safe and clean environment.

Such a quaint beautiful hotel in Arroyo Grande. It's very close to eateries and shops and not to far from the beach. Very quiet. Pool was nice and beautiful at night. Room was spacious with a little outdoor patio over looking the pool. Bed was comfy but linens were a little scratchy. Water pressure was really poor. Great place to stay.

booked last min trip for one night, clean quiet rooms not too far from the beach. Big plus for us they had free breakfast, not just pastries and juice but eggs bacon and you can make your own walffle !

When we checked in they didn't have any king bed rooms cleaned so the clerk checked us into a two bed room. She said there was no difference but the two bed rooms were queen beds and we like a king that is why I booked one. The room was good except the people above us were making noise most the night so was not quiet like the desk clerk stated it would be a nice quiet area. I think the people above might have had kids so that might be why. Our stay was fine overall.

Our room was a very nice sized room. The desk person recommended a restaurant and we appreciated it being just a very short walk across a footbridge from the hotel. We liked their breakfast the best due to the belgian waffles and strawberries and caramel to go on them. Nice touch.

We stayed 3 days and the hotel was clean, comfortable and staff was helpful. The location was perfectly to get to all our wedding events. Close to freeways and nice restaurants. We would definitely stay there again.

Had a extremely bad stay for a late anniversary we stayed on the second floor I asked for a more accessible room for me and my son but they would accommodate it, I asked for a late check out and I got one for 12 noon so I said great but the next day at 11am housekeeping opens the door on me and I'm half naked and I told her please close the door I have a late check out and again at 1130 she opens the door and my 7yr old son that's disabled is naked and I told her close the door and she wouldn't she keeps telling me it's after check out and I had a late check for noon. She was exposing my naked son he's a minor, I made a police complaint, so now the hotel wants to blacklist me when they don't even want to help me in anyway, I will be reporting this hotel to better business burreu. It's highly illegal what they do. And they kept lying saying I asked for a refund before but this was my second stay only and my other stay great!

Average stay. The room was very large and bed comfortable. The breakfast was typical with powdered eggs, bacon, bagels, waffles… Coffee and cookies in the lobby Saturday night was wonderful! On the negative side: Broken electrical outlet and toilet ran. The key card stopped working while we were packing up. The gal cleaning rooms was gracious and helped get me back in. We would stay here again.

Hotel lobby is very nice and the staff were great with my dog. Room was very clean. I had a noise issue but the staff handled it very quickly which I appreciated. It's less than 5 minutes from Pismo Beach which is where I spent my time so that we convenient. There's also nice grass areas for the pups to go potty.

Great place to stay. Clean, friendly staff. Beautiful landscape. Nice pool. Parking is a little shaky, but doable. Good free breakfast. Easy access to freeway and other local sightseeing. Close to beach.

Absolutely love this hotel There friendly the rooms are always clean and well stocked on toiletries there breakfast is good great variety of items and the pool and hot tub are excellent my kids favorite the hot tub is big and both are very clean and there restroom has a sauna pretty awesome hotel with great service love the atmosphere

Room was good and it was in a good location. Amenities were also good; however, I did NOT like the very, tiny, small cafeteria. You have a huge hotel and not a big enough cafeteria to accommodate its guests. At times, during breakfast time, it got extremely crowded, and by 9:00am the place had run out of many of the breakfast items. I asked the attendant about the missing items, and she said he had run of out many items already. So, yes, a bigger and better stocked cafeteria is badly needed.

The property grounds and pool are beautiful. Mission style buildings are pretty. The hotel is older and the rooms could use renovating, but they are kept very clean. There were no appropriate kids channels and the breakfast room was hard to navigate with a lot of people in it. Breakfast was good though.

We arrived very late to spend the night and leave the next morning. We had everything we needed. When we arrived there was no one at the reception desk for a while, which was frustrating after a long drive. The pillows were not comfortable.

The staff at this location are always super nice. The young lady who assisted me was being treated very poorly by a client but she remained nice, professional, and helpful. The room smelled musty and the air conditioner didn't work, but otherwise everything was fine.

Spent two nights for a quick getaway trip to Pismo. The hotel is in close proximity to the beach & attractions, but you will have to drive. Since it is outside of the area it is on the quieter side of town which I like. The hotel is in good shape for the price. You don't have to worry about paying too much for a dumpy stay. This is better! You will get what you paid for. My family stays at this hotel often. The rooms & beds are decent. My king bed was a little stiff for me but it did not interrupt the enjoyment of my stay. It is a clean hotel room, a little on the older side but it is well maintained. All staff are helpful. It was an easy check in & check out process. The breakfast room, pool, and jacuzzi are all great! This is a hotel that I keep coming back to. It is a good stay. :)

The Hotel is ok a little outdated, the room smelled musty, the beds were comfortable but the ONLY REASON I gave 1 Star is because of RUDE RITA at the Front Desk .. My husband got up in the morning to get some of the continental breakfast ..he didn't know where to go so he went to the front office and asked where he could find the breakfast , that's when Rude Rita told my husband “they only had coffee!” He came back to our room with only Coffee, I asked him what happened and he said there's no breakfast only coffee .. I went to call the office but The Phone in the room wasn't working so I called in and asked what time breakfast started it was 6:53 and RITA answered she said breakfast starts at 6:30 so I was confused and Rita said hello it's 6:53 we have breakfast it's by the pool in a very condescending manner … HEY RITA YOU DONT HAVE TO BE RUDE MAYBE HAD YOU TOLD MY HUSBAND THAT instead of trying to mislead him into thinking there was no breakfast I wouldn't have had to call in and ask! Relax lady we are guests here and the hotel offers breakfast.. my husband went and wasn't impressed so you can stuff yourself with the breakfast you didn't want us to have .. we will take the kids somewhere else and for $250 a night where the one staff member ruined it for us we will stay somewhere else next time we visit

I love staying at casa grande the staff always makes me feel welcomed.the facilty is immaculate great location the breakfast is great ( should add some kosher options)I bought my dog there's a large more than adequate field for my dog to play OFF leash. Excellent choice for family trips and busissiness

Very nice and clean room. We had a most enjoyable time at BW. Thank you. The room had a nice mini bar unfortunately never used. The shower hot water could have been a little warmer. The exterior grounds are well kept.

I've stayed at Best Western Casa Grande Inn on a number of occasions. It never fails to provide a nice respite for a quick getaway whether you live San Francisco Bay Area or Los Angeles region. The rooms are very clean, beds are comfortable. Even though the Inn was quite booked, the rooms were insulated so that you couldn't hear any noise from the neighboring rooms. Complimentary breakfast and afternoon snacks are always a plus.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel cause our daughter was in a swim tournament at Cuesta. The outside of this hotel is nice. The inside looks like it was stuck in the 70's. The beds were very uncomfortable. The pillows were very small but they were the most comfortable thing on our bed. At present time I would not recommend this hotel to anyone

The staff is very friendly and and meet our accommodations. I loved the nostalgia and comfort of the room. Felt right at home so far away. Breakfast was very nice especially since COVID has really limited a lot of anemmeties. The hot tub and pool were at the correct temperature. The grounds were very well kept and we enjoyed the walk through the property.

The location is great. It's very close to Pismo Beach. The room looked antique, and very damp. Also, the walls were very thin, and we could hear people walking and talking in the room above us. It is okay for a couple who are looking for a quick weekend getaway.

Large room, large and very comfortable bed. The fridge made a lot of noice, but easy to switch off. Nice breakfast, not to fancy but enough choice to start your day. Small pool and jacuzzi, didn't use.

My sister amd I spent one needed getaway night from the men here. Room was big enough to move around comfortably. Bed super comfy. Room warmed up quickly and stayed comfortable throughout evening and next morning. Only downside.....** All the kids. And a couple of toddler tyrants! Waking up to the screams was extremely agitating. NOT the Hotels fault. Just a side note. And lastly, no ocean view. Ocean on the other side of hill.

We love this best western. Our kids love it even more. Great location close to Wal-Mart and in and out and close access to 101 just minutes away from Pismo and Avila.Not to mention a Starbucks in the next door shopping plaza. I exit away from the outlet.

I've stayed here a couple of times now, it never disappoints. Rooms are exceptionally clean and spacious with coffee maker, mini fridge, microwave and plenty of cups, coffee and tea supplies. Staff is very friendly. Very convenient location, just off the 101 and walking distance to restaurants and convenience stores.

The staff was great the rooms were very clean everybody was very helpful and I was happy they had to breath it back my wife and I enjoyed our trip. We are definitely gonna stay here again without any question thank you

This is a good hotel given that it serves good breakfast and kids friendly. The breakfast is almost as good as the 4 stars hotels near the beach. Kids love the pool and hot tub/spa. The pool is slightly heated where the water isn't icy cold during this warm winter weather. The hot tub/spa was hot..which is perfect for me. The room are spacious but parking not so much. I feel like there isn't enough parking for each room that are there. I feel like I couldn't drive out for a nice dinner because I won't be able to find parking space when I return. It's a quiet place to stay and in close proximity to fast food places. I'm willing to come back in the future.

Hotel was great, room and breakfast were excellent. Pismo Beach pier area is beautiful at sunset. Good seafood restaurant right at the pier. Pismo Beach looks like a fun place for everyone. We will be visiting again.

This is the 2nd time we've stayed here. The desk staff is wonderful. Our room this time and the last time was decent. We have a dog, so of course we stayed downstairs, which we don't mind at all. There's a good grassy area next to the motel for the dog, but I didn't see any bags for poop. There are a lot of workmen who stay there, so the parking lot is to capacity most of the time. My husband slipped in the bathtub the morning we were leaving. He didn't break anything, but it was quite difficult for him to get up again, as there's no area or bar to hold onto. The beds on both of our trips were not comfortable at all nor were the pillows. We found out the first time we stayed there to not eat the breakfast in the morning-nothing was freshly cooked at all.

We needed a 2 night stay as we are buying a house that required fumigation. The first night's room was comfortable but totally unsatisfactory due to the noise level in the room caused by other guests. I spoke to Rita in the morning of the second day and she was very courteous and understanding of the situation as I relayed to her. She moved us immediately for our second night and it was 100% improved over the first night. Rita's actions and demeanor were the reason we stayed at the hotel the second night and changed our review from below average to above average.

I travel frequently, mostly for visiting friends and family now that I am retired. The Best Western Casa Grande is one of my favorite places to stay. The staff is great, the rooms are very nice, and the traditional breakfast buffet in the breakfast room is back. Daily newspapers are available in the lobby, as well as fresh coffee any time of day. Stores and restaurants are within walking distance, and it is a pleasure to walk in the clean ocean air. I look forward to returning again.

I love this hotel. This was my third time stay here in the past couple of years. Especially the atmosphere of the lobby is very welcoming and like an old hacienda from a movie set rather than cold, boring, classic hotel look. Rooms are very nice and clean and everything is in good working order. Since I travel with my motorcycle I love motel style parking right in front of your door. Breakfast room is cozy little area and very adequate choices. Employees were respectful to Covid regulations and everything look clean and sanitized carefully. Appreciated and I will be back again!

The surrounding areas are gorgeous & you are so close to the beach. Just far enough for a calm & relaxing beach trip. The staff were all very kind and assisted us with a remote issue right away! We ended up booking for another night!

Room good and clean, Tv channels are awful, could use a financial channel, plus you could hear people walking above us, also you could hear dripping in the went in Bathroom vent when it rained. bed was good.

We have stayed every six months (except during the pandemic) at the Best Western Casa Grande in Arroyo Grande, California. We just love everything abut it. Charming architecture and decor, great comfortable, clean rooms, great staff and a few blocks from our favorite Central Coast restaurant AJ Spurs

Was able to book a room easily the night before. We just needed a 1-night stay. Got everything we expected from a Best Western. Easy check-in & check-out, continental breakfast, TV, mini fridge & microwave in room. Staff we interacted with were all nice. This Best Western actually had a decently sized bathroom, unlike some other locations where they are the size of a broom closet. This location seems a little older, but everything seemed clean and neat. One downside is walls are quite thin so having rowdy neighbors wasn't great. There's a coffee station in the lobby and they had packs of free cookies out at night during our stay. The Christmas decor and Spanish style of this Best Western was really cute too. Would stay again.

The room was very nice. They serve a great breakfast with lots of options. An employee was very helpful when I left an item behind. The king size bed was very comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

This was a pleasant stay - the décor and ambience was delightful. The staff were polite and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I would recommend it to anyone traveling. The check in and the check out was also fast and with no problems. The bag breakfast was just right with a variety of items and there were beverages in the room. The access to internet and the TV service was available also.

The architecture and construction are the best part. Yes the rooms are as you would expect from a Best Western but once you step out of the room, everything looks so beautiful. Because of COVID-19 they gave a packed to breakfast

My wife and I stayed here last week (Nov 2021). We checked in late, crashed out, and we both woke up coughing profusely. I have a known allergy to mold. Peeking around the room in the daylight I saw this. Prodigious mold growing on and around the AC unit. This is a serious health hazard. THEY HAVE A SPECIAL SYSTEM TO DISPERSE BLACK MOLD INTO THE AIR. Angry and annoyed, I went to check out. The front desk jotted a note and said they would check it. They *may* have offered a weak apology but that's it. No offer to make things right. I complained to corporate and after a week of useless emails, customer service came back with "the local hotel said they apologized and you should have let them know earlier so they could fix your stay." Oh my bad; I forget to play health inspector when I checked in the middle of the night and just needed a clean place to crash. I have submitted complaints with the BBB and the CA Dept of Public Health. I wish they put the effort into cleaning which they are now putting into retaining my ill-begotten money. DON'T STAY HERE IF YOU LIKE HAVING LUNGS.

There was an issue with noise and cleanliness when I spoke with a staff member I was treated poorly and rudely I was met with a combative attitude. And was afraid to even say how I felt about anything .

Very clean and comfortable . When I called for assistance regarding bathroom fixtures shower and faucet it was attended to right away . Good service from staff . Breakfast could be a little improved . Cold breakfast sandwich if you're on the go ... is not well thought off ... maybe a little microwave at the breakfast area in the lobby could have helped . A little warmer receptionist personnel can also add more to the experience .

The hotel parking lot is pretty scruffy, but the rooms were comfy. The pool was above average and we were within walking distance to some stores & restaurants. They could really use EV charge stations or outlets in the parking lot.

I came to Pismo Beach with my girl for the night to get out of Bakersfield (like 84% of the people in town are doing) & needed a room. I frequent BW and decided to use points I have accrued over the years. Without the points it would be in $310 before tax which is crazy, so it cost me 40,000 points which is unreal as well but it was a beautiful hotel room, bed was comfy, swimming pool and hot tub were clean and nice the hot tub is perfect temp, the lady at the chicken is really nice and helpful and got me a good ground level room! I highly recommend. 40k points sounds like, well is a lot actually but they wanted 56k to stay in SLO, Morro-Bay, & Nipás, so 40k isn't that bad and it's literally a 4 min drive to the beach from there instead of a 30 - 45 min drive from the other hotels! My girl and I really liked the room. So thank you Best Western!

Wonderful ambiance & a great spot for the night. Clean & comfortable; my 1 Bedroom Suite over the pool was impressive. The staff was attentive & efficient. Great “grab n go” breakfast. If I'm by there again, I'll surely stay.

I just took a quick trip to SLO and decided to stay at the Best Western which i had not stayed there for over 20 years. Grounds were well kept since I was there but the rooms need to be updated at least change the carpeting to a wood plank material would be a huge improvement. Bed was really comfortable! Quick check in and was able to park right in front of my room.

Clean room and great location. Price is very affordable and nice breakfast food selection which was individually packaged due to COVID safety measures.. Although would prefer the buffet offered in the past.

This has been our go-to place to stay on the central coast. Check-in has been fast and efficient, the rooms are clean and they give you a generous brown bag breakfast. Our shower looked recently remodeled but the water pressure was weak.

The staff were friendly, location amazing, room rate is very reasonable, room and facilities were clean and the decor tastefully done. A rare gem just right off the 101 with a great breakfast to get you going back on the road again. Hear the sister hotel is quite the great option as well!

We've stayed here several times over the years and the hotel provides a good stay but it's starting to age with little upkeep. The best part is the pool, spa and sauna. The pool is nicely heated and the spa has some strong jets. The beds are very comfortable. The negatives were the carpet in the rooms are aging and our computer chair looked like it was bought at a yard sale. For the price it's still a good value but with some upkeep it could be a lot nicer.

Nice room, very spacious and clean. Shower was great, nice setup and good water pressure. Love the 2 sinks and space to put on makeup. Lots of parking. Nice pool & hot tub. We were disappointed with breakfast but we understand due to the pandemic it had to be bagged items.

Usually the best western ive stayed at has been basic and this one was great it had a guest room for my toddlers to stay in and it was the best Best Western I've ever stayed in I'd stay there if I could afford it every time

Thin walls & ceilings, so if you expect to be making noise, or are very keen on silence, be aware. We could hear the guests walking around in the room above us. It's a nice hotel though. For the little bit more I paid over the run of the mill motel, this was a good choice. Too bad, we only were there very briefly and did not have time to check out the pool or even breakfast.

This hotel was very nice and staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a to go bag and was a lot of food. A check off list with breakfast requests would have been better as we did not eat many of the items in the bag.

The Spanish style design of the hotel is very nice and the rooms are clean. Located in a quiet neighborhood. The breakfast-to-go bag was very thoughtful. It comes with sausage and egg muffins, a cheese horn, a cheese stick, a bag of pretzels, peanut butter, orange juice, yogurt, and a banana. Weekday price is reasonable, definitely will stay here again the next time we visit this area.

The room was very clean and it was easily accessible to the parking lot. The walls are paper thin, though and we could hear everything from our neighbors. There is a beautiful parklike area above the parking lot, which was perfect for walking our dog. The breakfast bag was okay, but the coffee was great!

We could not have been more pleased with the motel. The staff was so helpful and everyone was pleasant. Upon arriving in the room we noticed it was extremely clean. Due to Covid the breakfast was in a bag but it was very filling. It included a sausage and egg patty in a muffin and six or seven other items. Five star review from us.

Been staying here 8 yeara but after looking at prices this year we only stayed one night using all our gift cards. No more breakfast buffet, one large family drinking & taking over the hot tub. We choose the rest of our stay to be at Motel down the road saving over 100.00 per night & no issue with pool or spa crowding it for hours. The staff of BW have also been exceptional as well as our stay it comes down to money that is all.

This hotel is really nice, has great pool and is near enough to drive to beach and see areas round there. was quite and room was nice. A good value for you money too. We were on the 3rd floor. Staff was super nice and helpful.

Feels like you're in Old California here… lovely garden, mission style, tilework. Room has tinest bathroom— like being in Europe! But nice shower & sink in open space in room. Very large closet! Great pool for families— noise from pool traveled far, but all was quiet at 9– thank goodness! Great breakfast bag that staff were happy to personalize. Good size table in room to eat at Room prices seem to vary by the day— so keep checking rates. Had a little confusion upon arrivalas late confirmation email had right price, but one bed vs two. Doublecheck! Manager worked out orice adjustment next morning.as

Overall the hotel was dirty and dungy inside and out. The parking lot was in poor condition, walkways were dusty and dirty. The bathroom door hinges were rusted. We found a bottle cap on the carpet upon arrival. The carpet was not vacuumed in corners and under tables. The shower water pressure was almost non-existent. We couldn't sleep for the first two nights due to tremendous noise above us and in the outside corridors. We called the front desk three times to complain. Several plugs were not working.j Lamp didn't work on arrival but maintenance did come and exchange it The ice bucket was so thin that ice melted within an hour. TV only got about 20 channels. There was no COVID protection on the remote. Square bed pillows were not comfortable. The room had no ISB plugs. For a price of nearly $400 per night, we were highly disappointed and will definitely not return.

The check in time was very fast, the staff was very friendly. The hotel rooms with the 2 queen size beds were very comfortable and the rooms were a very good size. My kids enjoyed the pool. Overall experience was very great. I would stay here at the BW again. Thank you to all staff.

Hotel is about 2 miles from the beach but easy to get there. All of the staff i was in contact with were helpful and friendly. The adjacent restaurant was closed and would have been nice to have on closer to the motel so driving to eat was not required.

2 night stay. Not accommodated on any basic request except for more TP and coffee pods. We asked if we could check in a bit early and for easy access parking because 2 of us are handicapped. There wasn't a single handicap stall in the parking lot my room was in. The coffee maker only uses proprietary coffee pods so making your own is not possible. Bathroom had black mold in the shower. Entry door had a gap at the top so large we could hear conversations outside several feet away from the door. The blackout curtains fell 2 inches short of covering the window making them useless for intended purposes. The Manager sent a generic response to the review exemplifying their commitment to poor customer service.

My stay at BW Casa Grande was smooth and relaxing. I was on a business trip and spent most of my time away from the Inn but it was nice to come back to a quite environment even for how busy it was. Having a pool (with waterfall), jacuzzi and sauna really made it relaxing. Was greeted with a smile and felt welcomed by the friendly front desk employees. Coffee and breakfast was ready bright and early as well. Definitely recommend staying here.

The carpet in the room was filthy the walls outside the room door were moldy the pool's deck was dirty the coping had black scum all around it the pool was not cleaned the room smelled the couch was stained there was stains on the bed skirt one TV didn't have a remote and when we got a remote it didn't work the front desk manager was rude the lobby had dust thick dust the drapes in the room were broken the room patio was dirty the shampoo bottles were half empty

Very loud, tv is hard to see, itchy sheets every time I got bit by bugs, the soap game me a rash and I usually don't every get any allergic reaction to anything house keeping was on top of everything every time I got back from work but still nothing was changed about the bug bites

The hotel is the same way that is has been since about 20 years ago. The carpets are disgusting and walking on them barefoot feels gross. With all the other Best Westerns being build new and updated I feel this location needs to be updated also.

The king room was small, the furnishings and bathroom was outdated, and what we had to pay for one night in June was not worth it. The room was clean although, and the bed was comfortable. I normally don't complain, but over $300 for one night was overpriced for this room.

I called here from another hotel near Solvang where we spent one night and decided that was not quite for us. Rita in reservations was so kind and helpful in making this last minute reservation. I was excited to visit this property as I had been looking at it for a while on line. This hotel is near the beach without the big price tag per night for being on the ocean. It is an older property but well kept. Our room was so nice and overlooked the pool! It was very clean and the staff were welcoming and very helpful. The room had a great sitting area and a awesome outdoor sitting area that added a special element to the visit. Was great to have coffee out there in the morning. This hotel is right next to Grover Beach and just a couple fwy exits to Pismo Beach as well. You can easily visit the beach all day and then be back at your hotel in minutes to relax and enjoy the afternoons and evenings. There is a great steak house just 5 minutes from here called AJ Spurs. Definitely give it a try. This hotel property is nice, the price is fair and the staff are great! We are definitely planning to visit again soon! Thank you Rita for all your help! You saved our trip! We booked last minute and thought the hotel would not be great but we were pleasantly surprised! Beautiful hotel, super comfy beds and excellent location! 15 min to SLO and.2 min to Pismo!! Loved it and will definitely return!

All staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The only downside was the hot tub being out of order. Rooms were clean and welcoming. Very roomy. Elevator for upstairs rooms. Easy access. We will be back.

Service is always top notch. Staff is always very friendly and helpful. Property is always clean. Property is near a lot of restaurants and amenities in the area. Never any problems at this hotel and surrounding areas.

Chose this location based on good reviews and higher than average price made me feel as i was getting something good. Room smelled dirty and although it was a none smoking room, it smelled a lot like smoke. We found a spoiled sandwich in the microwave, which leads me to see they don't clean and inspect as needed even with all the COVID protocols. I expected stellar cleaning and inspections of each room but didn't seem like it. Other family members stayed near by at a different chain for half the price what we paid and had really good cleanliness with freshly washed and clean fragrance smelling linens. We got stuck with mold/smoke smelling linens and a spoiled sandwich in the microwave. Never staying here again.

with the recent COVID19 restrictions it was very nice that Best Western Casa Grande Inn had many protocols in use to allow my family to enjoy the stay - after a couple days in the beach it was satisfying to relax in the hotel's pool. rooms were clean / the surrounding parking lot and dog walk area as well

Picked this hotel because they were dog friendly. Called ahead and they told me to put in the notes section of the online reservation that I will have a dog. Followed their instructions precisely. Reserved a king room and noted I had a dog. Upon arrival I found they never read the note and the hotel was booked. My wife and I had to share a queen bed. The front desk told me I should have called. I told her that I did and she said I should have called again. She was kind of rude. Room was gross. Floor was dirty and made our feet black. Beds were old and uncomfortable. Everything seemed like it was falling apart. Doors and walls were very thin. You can hear people very clearly from outside.

Quick check in. Clean room. Staff is ready to provide anything needed. Multiple stores close by. Beach is 2 minutes away. Multiple seafood, pizza and fast food close by. Most willing to deliver straight to hotel room.

I am here listening to a bunch of guys in the room beside us talking and laughing so loud at 11.15 pm. They went from hanging out in the outdoor tables by the closed restaurant to the room beside us to outside our door. We complained, someone came and they are now back in their room being more noisy! This is ridiculous. We woke up early am by loud noisy guests, might be them. Thin walls.

If you have anyone in your group with a personality avoid staying here. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with nothing but confrontation. We are a group of 12, 9 rooms three couples all professionals on a motorcycle trip from San Francisco to lax. Tour operator assigned us this hotel. They aren't biker friendly.

This was a beautiful hotel. Our room was huge and exceeded our expectations. The jetted tub was so relaxing and his and her counters and restrooms were a plus. I recommend the room for any couple looking to have a pleasant stay.

Had to pull over during a driving rainstorm and decided to spend the night. I've been a Best Western customer for years so this place got the bill. I was pleasantly surprised. I arrived late and the lobby had a nice warm fire going. The clerk checked me in quickly, giving me a choice of rooms. The room was fantastic: large, clean, and above all, quiet. Great night's rest followed.

Been in and out of hotels in the Pismo Area for years this is a hidden gem, I highly recommend. I am a former hotel GM and am picky about where I stay, and this is a great value! Inside and out it is clean and well run.

I stayed on my way back from appointments in Santa Barbara. I have stayed at Casa Grade several times over the years. It is always clean, comfortable and I feel very safe with the wonderful staff.I will gladly stay again.

We travel for business and were in town to deliver a new trailer from the factory to the dealership. We parked on the back side as directed and then called the front desk to ask if they could see our truck & trailer on security cameras. I was told there were NO SECURITY cameras. I was concerned since we had a new trailer. I was told by Mickey this was the safest in 5 cities. In the morning we discovered a broken drivers side window with shattered glass inside & out. The maintenance man was walking around the corner and asked if that was our truck. I said yes & he said when he saw the damage he went to the front desk to find the owner but our plate, make, model, etc. was NOT entered into the computer by the night check in clerk Mickey. $3k in tools were stolen along with our briefcase containing our passports. (None of these items were visible from outside the truck) I realize the hotel has zero responsibility but if guests get their windows smashed & their vehicle trashed, the inconvenience of having to get your vehicle cleaned of glass & window replaced is a big enough pain even if nothing is stollen. Don't risk it!

The whole vibe was very National Lampoons Vacation. I don't say that as a bad thing. This is motel, not a hotel. It met our needs and the room was huge. For such large rooms a larger bathroom would've been nice.

Just had our hotel keys thrown across the lobby counter by the Mgr. She couldnt comprehend us upgrading our room and paying the difference. Far enough off the freeway that the freeway noise was not a problem. Very nice front desk staff. The decor is fun and festive. Easy drive to Pismo Beach pier and restaurants. The sack breakfast worked out fine.

Don't waster your money on this Hotel! My husband and I had stayed here a few times, years ago. It was nice. Not anymore, the rooms are old, smelly, outdated. Trash under the beds. People were partying in the parking lot all day, and into the night. Loud music coming from different rooms. I went with friends, we shared a suite. After one of us took a shower, it became clogged, maintenance was sent to our room with a toilet plunger, (for the shower) ! We asked for another room , which they gave us. When we got there we checked under the bed, there were a pair of shoes and various trash, under both beds! Again ! We called the manager (Rita) she didn't seem to care about any of our issues, and was glad to hear that we wanted our money back, because we were leaving. Believe me this hotel has gone down the drain.

We love staying here when we visit Pismo Beach. We will be visiting again next week and look forward to a clean room, the great staff, and most of all the great breakfasts that are served. It's a very restful home away from home and we look forward to this coming week! Lindy Martin

The location wan good, it was away from the Pismo commotion. It was a Holiday weekend and downtown Pismo was too busy, we were close to the beach but yet far enough. The hotel is a little on the older side but still a nice architecture. Front lobby area carpets need cleaning as well are the stairs going to the bathroom on the 2nd floor. Our room was spacious decor a little outdated Carpets were really dirty with big spots which i think its what gives the room a odor. when we got in the room there was a strong smell of cleaning products but after turning on the AC and leaving the door open for a while it went away. for the $240 a night i really expected better cleaner accommodations. Parking lot has pot holes. Swimming pool is way smaller than what the pictures make it look like, it was nice and clean on saturday but on sunday afternoon it was really dirty, didn't look like it was cleanned overnight although there was a bucket full of clean towels and one for the dirty ones. There was no supervision, there was 3 child booggie boards in the pool and no one to enforce the rules.

For years we have always stayed at this hotel when we visited family in the area but never again! In June we brought our 3 granddaughters with us and our 12 year old granddaughter found a used condom under her bed when she was looking for her shoes. The blanket on our bed had brown stains on it! When I told the lady at front desk and showed her the pictures she acted liked I was lying! I asked if she was going to do anything about it, she said ok I'll credit you $50.00! We are definitely done with this hotel.

This hotel is centrally located to all the local attractions and restaurants. Very clean, beds are comfortable, good pillows. Staff very friendly and helpful! We've stayed here many times over the years and keep coming back!

The entire property could use a refresh. The staff was nice and put together a good grab and go continental breakfast due to COVID. As for the room. Walls were thin. Could hear footsteps all the time upstairs. Carpets were very dirty. Was in town to have knee surgery. Took a shower in the evening and didn't leave the room. The next morning I took another shower and so much dirt came off of my feet from just walking on the carpet. Overall not worth the price. If I ever have to go back to Arroyo Grande again I would probably stay at the Hampton Inn.

The room was very dirty for our expectations. Dirt on sheets, stained towel, food crumbs in the air conditioning unit. Also, no internet on the night of our arrival and a very blasé attitude on the part of the staff. Expensive for what we got!

We had a poolside room. The pool and hot tub were nice when they weren't mobbed with people who seemed to stay all day, no distancing, smoking, no towels. Room was comfortable and large with a patio. WiFi was pretty much non existent. Room keys didn't work more than a few times. Breakfast was unremarkable, maybe due to covid. We loved nearby Oceano dunes and beaches.

During the COVID pandemic they still over breakfast but in a paper bag rather than buffet style for health and safety purposes. The person at front desk was rude when we checked in. My kids woke up to seeing a housekeeper standing in the door. A housekeeper used her key card on my door before knocking. THAT'S NOT PROTOCOL!! The room didn't look that clean, there was a dirty hand towel, it looked like it was dropped on the ground then hung. I found a twist tie by the lamp on the night stand. Management never contacted me to make it better

Hardly and staff wears mask. Got into it with a staff member and his response was you are not wearing a mask. Well we were inside our room... and we do not work at this hotel. The people that are behind the plexi glass do not wear mask but hand out bags of food. This hotel was very gross and old. There was hair in our bed and a sanitary sticker from bathing suit underwear stuck on our "clean" blankets. Poor quality best western.

Recentlt attended a large party in SLO County. Stayed in this location with travel friend. Pleasantly surprised by all aspects. Large room with 2 queen beds, fridge, m/w, coffee maker, table and chairs and lots of fresh, soft towels. Receptionist at desk extremely friendly and gave us several room/location options. There was coffee and tea plus cookies in the lobby, a welcome afternoon treat. Full breakfast served with so many choices of food and beverages. Server in breakfast room very gracious and helpful. Beds comfy, room quiet All this for less than $95 including taxes/fees, breakfast, cookies. Easy check-in and check-out.

My wife and I stayed at this property as part of an 8-day "Southern California and Arizona Swing" during which we stayed at Best Western properties in Ventura, San Diego, and Oceanside, California as well as Casa Grande Inn. Of the four properties, Casa Grande by far and away had the best accomodations and grounds. It has a pleasing Spanish-style exterior. The rooms are well-appointed; especially nice was the walk-in shower offered rather than the typical over-the-tub showers in all of the other Best Western hotels we have stayed in over the years. Two issues with the shower were encountered: 1) the sliding doors did need some work done to allow for smooth sliding, both doors were difficult to open and close; and 2) there was no grab-bar present. An abundance of towels were provided - something not always found in other properties. Breakfast offering were adequate. Parking was convenient. Very nice, well-tended grounds provided place to take advantage of a bench for sitting in the garden area if one so chooses. Would stay at this property again if in the area.

Wow this was the perfect hotel for my family. We are a large family 4 children, my grandma, husband and myself and this was beyond the perfect hotel for all of us. From the minute we arrive we were amazed at the beauty of Casa Grande. The pool was heated but not supper hot it was so nice, normally I am freezing when the kids are swimming. Cookies in the evening are delightful. Breakfast has something for everyone even my carnivor of a husband and vegetarian son. The 2 room suite we stay in was huge and had space where everyone could streach out and relax. The staff was amazing we love the Casa Grande

The hotel looks good on the outside, but is a letdown on the inside. Attention to detail inside our room was really lacking. Bathroom smelled like mildew. Refrigerator had a loud buzz. Lighting is very dull. Beds are soft. Bathroom fan was loud and cannot be turned off, as it is one in the same with the lights. For the price we paid, this was not to our satisfaction.

Stayed here for 2 nights when we were driving down the coast of California. Bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Reasonable rates. Breakfast had a good selection. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would stay here again.

Rooms are super clean, has "Hacienda" feel to it. Variety of breakfast items, Lobby is very "home like", you can actually sit around the lobby and feel relaxed next to the fireplace. The Decor in the Lobby, gave it a special touch. Very Western/Country Feel. Loved it. Just a few minutes away from Pismo Beach.

The best place to stay! It is the best value in the area. It feels like a luxury hotel. The staff are helpful and friendly. Since our first time staying here, it is our choice of hotels in the Pismo area! You won't be disappointed!!

We chose this hotel in Arroyo Grande when visiting San Luis Obispo because hotels and restaurants are more reasonable priced in Arroyo Grande, but it is only about 15 miles by 101 Freeway south of San Luis Obispo. This Best Western is a large property and appears to be clean and well maintained. It is done in Mission-style architecture and is an older style hotel with individual exterior entrance doors and somewhat sprawls on a hillside. The only criticism is that their breakfast room is a small separate building the size of a one-car garage, and can be crowded for the size of the facility; we recommend you go to breakfast early. Breakfast is the usual items of scrambled eggs, bacon, waffles, oatmeal, fruit, etc. and is served on disposable plates with plastic utensils.

This is a great place if you are looking for something different. It has a very cool Spanish/Mexican vibe in both architecture and decor. While it is showing it's age in some details , it is a good value. Pool area and center courtyard are especially attractive. I enjoyed staying here.

Stopped here for one night on our road trip South. Really liked the decor, fast and friendly check in. Room was huge with plenty of facilities. Breakfast was good and better than other hotels offered on our trip. 5-7 minute walk to restaurants. Price was good and much better value than others we looked at. Shower was broken, which we told them about when checking out but otherwise we enjoyed our stay here.

Check in was easy and receptionist gave us good advice on restaurants. Was not recognized as a loyal member which was unusual. Went to our room which was a good size and comfortable. Before we unpacked we walked over to the Quarter Deck for a nice dinner then headed back to our room. As soon as we entered the room we heard a dog barking constantly in the room next door. We waited a while but it didn't stop so I went to reception and they said they would call the room. We figured there was no-one in the room and that's why the dog was barking. After another 20 minutes of barking we went back to reception and requested a room change which we were given and we were also told that the rooms in our area were not supposed to have pets. As we were moving to the new room we saw a lady and 2 kids head into the next room coming back from the pool. The kids were pretty noisy too so we were happy to move. We did have a comfortable quiet night in our new room, thankfully. We had been told there were 2 breakfast areas so we went into the one near the pool and it was pretty cramped so we headed over to reception to use the other one but were told it was closed as the hotel was not full so we had no choice but to go back to the other one. It was pretty busy with kids running around but we did manage to get 2 seats. We also saw the dog lady and her kids at the pool with the dog wrapped in a towel. This dog issue really spoiled our experience at what looked like was a very nice hotel. We may think twice before staying here again but were happy we avoided what could have been a noisy night.

Good location. Close to shopping, Pismo Beach and the Monarch Butterfly Groves. Very reasonable rates. Has outdoor pool and laundry facilities. We stayed in a King Suite on top floor. Was reasonably quiet and very comfortable. The room and furnishings were "spanish vintage" and a little dated but in very good condition. Used the guest laundry near the pool area which was very useful.

This Hotel is a 3 stars hotel with great amenities. It is a great value for your money because their prices are reasonable compared with other hotels in the area. Overall, we were very satisfied!!! Try this place out!!!

Friendly customer service but housekeeping needs to be more aware and check all areas of the room before someone else checks in and walks into a dirty restroom or shower. I often look up hotel locations and cleanliness.

The building, corridors and room were old, dirty and smelly. I didn't bother to use the ac unit, as those dirty filters would get things worse. Breakfast was decent, with hot eggs, meat and fruit etc. overall though, I would not recommend it.

Old facility-1984, charming lobby...rooms ok, bathroom needed help (loose toilet seat). Breakfast room kind of small for the number of clients (maybe detouring folks from when Grapevine was snowed in). Standard selections but ok. Breakfast attendant helpful, desk staff gave a good restaurant recommendation (an adjacent one was closed).

The hotel staff was outstanding. Rita and Kim made the check-in process so early and so simple. They were so patient with my group of 4 girls. Breakfast was delicious and the breakfast attendant was so kind and friendly. Definitely will plan to stay there again. And the price is just right!

This room was a motel not a hotel. It was dark and dreary. I asked for quiet room. People above me very loud. People outside my room smoking cigarettes and other things. It felt like a Motel 6. That is not what I paid for. When you sat on the bed it went to the floor.

Casa Grande Inn is right off Hwy. 101 in the middle of Arroyo Grande and just a couple of miles from Pismo Beach. This part of California, the Central Coast, is a nice blend of SoCal weather and NorCal culture. The hotel has wonderful amenities, plus you get to have a full breakfast overlooking the pool and can enjoy a cozy lounge with a fireplace and coffee/tea right at hand. Truly like this place!

I love this hotel. Clean rooms, pool and spa with plenty of clean towels. Staff was friendly and accommodating. I will always use this Best Western in the future. Location is good, just a short drive to any of the beaches in the 5 cities area..

No. No. No. I booked this place two days ahead based on online reviews. I deliberately chose a place that was a bit more expensive in hopes that it would not be a complete dive. Well, it is not a complete dive, but for the money I paid (almost 200USD) I was completely let down. We were on the lower floor (room 204) and EVERY single footstep and movement could be heard upstairs. That included the bed-bouncing sex, laughter, toilet flushing and coughing. Ugh. Needless to say, all of these noise issues made for a crappy night sleep. The rooms are decorated in a 1980's shall I say “hacienda” style. The brown carpet sported some even browner stains, the fan comes on automatically with the bathroom light and sounds like a helicopter in the room. The furniture and fixtures are very dated. In this day and age even the motels are providing SOMETHING beside the bed to charge various electronic devices......but not here. I will say that the rooms are a good size, the towels are plentiful and the small pool area looked nice. Breakfast is included in the price, but both Food areas were so crowded we grabbed a yogurt and ran for the highway. We are currently in an almost beachfront hotel with a full kitchen and much better amenities on a weekend for a much lower price than the Best Western Casa Grande. Oh! And just in case you want some souvenirs from your stay at the Casa Grande, this convenient shopping sign is left for you in the room!!! (See picture).

disappointed with local manager on duty. She tripled the rate over one weekend on us after being loyal and staying multiple times per year as we visited our daughter while in college. recommendation "Paso Robles Inn" its worth the extra drive!

This hotel is very good. It's appearance and construction has one of the most personal atmospheres I have found in this kind of hotels in the US. The lobby is beautiful. The welcoming was wonderful and the room was pretty. I did not try the pool, but it looked very ok. It is two places to eat breakfast. I personally liked the room just above the lobby. This hotel is a place to recommend if you are visiting this town.

Great room with a mini fridge. Clean and comfortable. Breakfast included waffles, fruit, yoghurt and pastries. Pool looked lovely. There is a shopping area across the road and another a shirt drive away. Not walking distance to the beach but i great place to stop.

Spent three nights while attending a family wedding. Hotel property was nicely maintained. Location good. Near freeway but not too close for noise. Plenty of parking. Full breakfast included. Main issue was housekeeping services. Arrival day room was clean. Second day, returned room still not cleaned at 2:00 pm, never came. We didn't notify office. Third day- request cleaning after 1:00 pm. When returned in evening nothing had been done. Wet towels on floor, trash not emptied. Reported immediately to office. Clerk apologized and brought us clean towels. Upon checkout the next morning they apologized again and gave us a small discount.

The staff was amazing, very courteous, polite and friendly. Excellent place to stay. Great location, convenient to the freeway, shopping and the beaches. Breakfast was very good with 2 separate places to eat.

I was looking for a hotel at the last minute was able to get reservations pretty easily had a clogged toilet but was able to get that fixed fairly quickly great job great location quick drive to the beach and the outlets.

Best Western Casa Grande in Arroyo Grande is excellent freeway accessible to 101. It is in the middle of what is known as 5 Cities. All beach area with excellent eating establishments and recreation galore. Very beautiful property, Spanish mission style interior and exterior, well kept, clean and safe. Would recommend for business or pleasure. It is alittle inland from the actual water front, but so affordable and road close to everything it made it a best selection.

I have Diamond/Elite status (via Business Advantage Program); I was treated like I was being GIVEN a room and my stay was a favor to ME...Wasn't greeted, just processed and the staff argued with me about my status/benefits (and when I SHOWED them, I was told they never heard of that in their life and I would need to deal with it during checkout if it was that important to me). In our SUITE, the mattress felt as if it were only springs with limited topping; probably the most uncomfortable mattress I have slept on in years. One of the TV's had multi-colored lines obstructing the video (like the panel was going out), some of the lamps didn't even turn on (despite the plugs), the HVAC seemed to only work when on heater mode from the wall controls (unit controls were physically disabled), spider webs in windows and a continental breakfast set-up that doesn't appear to work well with high-volume of guests (some guests, ourselves included, forfeited breakfast on different days simply because of the chaos and delay in attempting to get into the dining areas, regardless of the time). The housekeeping staff was great...the front desk staff, not so much. Upon check-out, I wasn't even asked how my stay was In my opinion, there is a difference between this type of property and the "plus" properties...moreso than just amenities.

Wonderful stay with large very comfortable rooms. Lobby is incredibly well decorated. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Had a great night's sleep. I will definitely stay at this property again when in town.

Went on a California road-trip with family (9 people all together) first week in October. Stayed at this place overnight before driving off San Francisco next day. This is a really nice place to stay. They have nice big well equipped rooms, the hotel itself is very nice looking and well decorated, they have an outdoor pool which is heated, and they even have a big spa pool which is more heated. Really had a great time in the spa pool with my family in the evening. Friendly staff, and a quite and cozy place. If you every need a sleepover in this area while you are traveling, I certainly recommend that you consider this place.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel at the end of September. I had been swayed by the photos from other reviews that showed an old Spanish charm. We regretted staying here. At the check-in counter there is a sign entitled “good neighbor policy” that addresses loud, disruptive parties. Is it that common that they need a sign, which I've never seen before in a 3-star hotel? That was the first clue. We were lucky to get a room near the elevator, because there is only one in this U-shaped motel complex, and not all sides have access to it. This place is really a motel, where all room entrances open onto an outdoor balcony. It is not an enclosed hotel. The third-floor hallway (where we stayed) had a lot of wear and tear and big spots of paint missing. That was the second clue. Our room was clean enough, but it felt old and dingy. On the bathroom sink was a price list of each item in the room, in case someone stole them. Is it that common that they have to tell guests what the cost is? Again, it is not something I have ever seen in a 3-star hotel. That was the third clue. The night we stayed there, there were A LOT of Harley Davidson motorbikes in the parking spaces. It is obviously a popular spot for travelling bikers. At 9:00 that Friday night there were about 15 adult males all standing in the hot tub holding cups of drinks and talking loudly. I don't think this pool area (let along the hot tub) is a place you would want to use with your spouse, let alone your family. There were also a number of adult males standing over the second-floor balcony drinking beers. That was the fourth clue. In our room, the shower had very week water pressure and the bars of soap broke easily because they were so old. We had to unplug the clock to have a bedside electrical outlet, because there are so few outlets in the room. The bathroom light also turned on a very loud fan. There are no modern conveniences like USB outlets. The only good thing I can say about this hotel was our room was actually quiet enough to sleep. The bed was semi-firm. At least there was a luggage bench in our room. This place has sunk to no better than a 2-star motel. It needs a major renovation, updating and painting if it wants to be a competitive 3-star facility. Spend the extra money (because this area is expensive to stay in) and stay elsewhere. We regretted it.

This place needs to clean there rooms much better than they do... Majorly run down place. Beds are old, shower is tiny and the electronic doors dont work right got locked out twice. I wont stay here again!

Beautiful property with bridge and waterfall. Didn't experience pool but it looked quite nice. Very clean and didn't smell too musty. Absolutely best staff I've ever experienced at a hotel. Would definitely stay again.

We were dropping our daughter off at UCSB and so many hotels in the area are too expensive. This one was very nice and very reasonably priced. It's a little over an hour from her school, but very close to Pismo Beach and many other fun activities!

I am very impressed with this property. Keep in mind this isn't the Biltmore, so don't get confused. It is a Best Western. The hotel is very well maintained. It is clean. The staff is friendly. The pool and hot tub area were basic but nice. The option to have breakfast in two different areas was great. I will definitely stay again. This hotel was very comfortable.

Poorly kept - everything looks like a bad picture of 1975 - lots of stairs or a good walk to wait for a slow elevator. We stayed at this property 15 years ago and did not return because it was not well kept then. Should have stayed with that memory.

We have had several great stays at this property. It is clean and rooms are comfortable and well appointed with all necessary amenities. The grounds have room to walk our dog and there is a small bridge. The gorounds are clean and well landscaped. The pool area is nice and inviting. Breakfast is good and as you would expect, with inside and outside seating. The location is convenient and easily accessible. The property is pet friendly, which is a plus for us. The staff is helpful, professional, polite and accommodating. We highly recommend this property and will stay here again, when we are in the area.

If you want to stay in a hotel with character and warmth, stay here. Lovely old west Spanish feel, well appointed rooms, breakfast includes scrambled eggs, bacon, make your own fresh waffles, yogurt, cereal, bagels, toast, muffins, coffee, tea, orange or apple juice. Staff is efficient and friendly. Lobby has a lovely sitting area with fireplace. Lots of great western art and old saddles.

The hotel is nice and comfortable. However, the room smelt old, though It was clean and had all we needed. The breakfast buffet was very good and had much more than we expected. You can even make your own waffle with all the additives like fruits and syrups. The free WiFi was great.

This Best Western Plus is the best value I've found in the Pismo Beach area. The service is always very good and the staff is friendly. Rooms are well appointed and always clean. We stayed in a dog-friendly room and it was very nice. The location is very convenient, only 5-7 minutes from the beach and only 2- 3 minutes from restaurants. The price for the room includes breakfast and the pool and hot tub aarea is very nice and clean. Towels are supplied at the pool.

This hotel experience was wonderful. We were traveling with my 89 yr old Mother and we were concerned. But the room was awesome. It was so roomy and convenient. I was not expecting it to be a large as it was and it had a pull out bed, King and another room with a queen. Everyone was able to sleep in comfort. My mother was able to be lowered into the hot tub also with the lift at the pool! The price was really quite reasonable. It was actually less expensive over all than renting a Motel 6, as we would've needed 2 rooms.

The price was great! The location was great! The room was very spacious and clean. Breakfast was delicious, we were very happy to save a few dollars on breakfast with the free breakfast that was included. I've already recommend this hotel to various people and will definitely be staying here again.

Myself and 3 friends spent 3 days on Central Coast. We relaxed in the pool and Jacuzzi each morning and evening. Having breakfast on the premises made it easy to start the day without rushing. We intend to take monthly trips and hope to find a Best Western each time we go.

The hotel is conveniently located to the freeway and shopping. This is our second visit here and it was very nice. The gardens are really pretty. The beds and bedding could be more comfortable. The noise level is about medium because the walls are thin.

the hotel is nice, breakfast not so much, but everyone there was very nice. The breakfast room is very small, and there were lots of people in there, it was hard to find a place to sit at first. The waffles were really runny like to much water in the mix. They had great bacon!

Our room was not very clean. We found hair in some of the pillows. Air conditioning was not working on the first day, we told the front office about the air-conditioning and they sent maintenance down the following morning. Maintenance person told me there was an issue with the thermostat on the wall. As I checked out I told them the air-conditioning never worked and they told me I did not know how to use the thermostat on the wall. This used to be a very nice hotel that I stayed it plenty of times. Quality has definitely dropped off.

Family trip with a beach day. Clean hotel, easy access to the freeway, Walmart and Food 4 Less were around the corner so we grab some food and drinks. The breakfast was good. The hotel was clean with great service.

After staying at 7 hotels down the coast, this was our favorite! The lobby is beautiful. Our suite was reasonably priced and spacious and comfortable. The amenities in the room were above average for this level of hotel. Service was friendly and professional. The breakfast room was big and enjoyable to eat in. I only wish we could have had more time there.

Our suite was quite large and comfortable. Water pressure in shower is terrible. And mattresses on both beds need update. But the worst thing is the isolated pet area, where the road is a pathway for homeless and others. Not safe!!!

Did not meet expectations, staff was not accommodating at check in nor at check out. The manager on duty was not very helpful as well. Room needs a makeover my socks were black when walking on carpet. Very little lighting in room no natural light room was under a overpass. I am part of the Best Western Family as a GM if another property and did not feel like I was part of it at this location.

I booked this place because it's nearby Pismo Beach with large rooms and good price. To drive to the beach it took us 5 min. There are restaurants nearby as well. Less crowded location. The hotel ground was well kept with a nice Spanish style theme. There's a pool. They gave you access to a gym next door. We had the suite which is 2 room with 2 beds. It was very spacious. I would stay there again.

We arrived late at night and had to leave relatively early the next morning. I would have loved to be able to spend a day just relaxing on the grounds. The pool looked gorgeous, even on a foggy morning. There is a cute little path through a garden. Roses and other flowers were in bloom. The room itself was clean and comfortable. Our only problem was arriving around 11pm the parking was full and we had to park a bit of a hike to our room. The breakfast was awesome, overlooking the pool. The scrambled eggs were absolutely delicious. The employees in the breakfast room were doing a fantastic job and they were all very friendly. Check in and check out was quick. The lobby looked cool ! A very reasonable price for a beautiful looking property.

We stayed for 1 night at this hotel but wish we could have stayed longer to take advantage of the lovely pool area. The exterior looks great in a traditional spanish style. Check in was quick in the lovely lobby area. Our room was on the ground floor and we could park the car right outside. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good in a nice room overlooking the pool, everything was topped up promptly and there was a choice of hot and cold food.

What you get for the Price is great, the rooms are large and the Pool area is relaxing and love the waterfall. So much to do in the area other than the beach. For us it rained so one day was Movie day the theatre was maybe 3 min away by car on same side of street. The steakhouse across the street I would recommend for both quality and price. We stayed at this property for 3 nights as a base for exploring San Luis Obispo, Pismo Beach and area. Great location for that. Hotel doesn't feel like you're in town at all. Beds were comfortable although a little soft for our liking. I found the breakfast room small and the menu limited for what I like to eat for breakfast although there were scrambled eggs and bacon the 2 days we had breakfast there. Pool looked nice although we didn't get a chance to use it.

Loved the western décor! Our room was clean and seemed recently refurbished. The grounds were well-kept and the staff was friendly and helpful. We were there to get my wife a new knee at the surgery center literally right next door, so the proximity was nice, but having it be such a nice hotel was a plus.

We spent a night here last week, as a family of 3 with a 3-year-old. We were driving along the Pacific coast and it looked a decent stop off in the Pismo Beach area. It was a little out of Pismo so needed the car to get to beach or the town but it was just off the highway, in a great location for Pismo shopping outlets and there's a small retail park next door that is walkable with a restaurant called the quarterdeck for an evening meal. We had a large suv and parking was fine and plentiful. The room was upstairs but there's a lift. The room itself was dark but huge with a nice shower room, kitchenette area and two good beds. The style of the place is like a ranch and we loved it. The pool and hot tub is nice too. My son loved it and the breakfast was great. Would use it again if in the area in the future.

We loved our one night stay at the Casa Grande. We stayed in a "Suite" which had a 2nd bedroom for our grandson. We did have complaints ... It was hard to find the light switches.. I had to hunt in the dark to find them, and when the lights came on, they were low wattage and did not provide enough light for our 77 year old eyes. Additionally, it is evident that they had a difficult time finding a place for a desk. Yes, they had one, but it was in a very inconvenient location and I had to rearrange the chairs in order to use it. And when I did use it, I found that their wifi is not useful for somebody who is trying to do anything beyond email. The speed down was only 2 Mbps, and it occasionally died for a minute or two. They do need to get serious about having a decent internet connection. Finally, you may want to bring extension cords as some of the electrical plugs are not in a position you want to use them in or they might be already filled with hotel device plugs. The compliments ... the Hotel is beautiful. The beds were wonderfully comfortable. And the rooms are clean and attractive. Additionally, the front desk people were wonderful. And the breakfast room is very nice with a decent continental breakfast available. . This hotel is a place I'd come back to, but only if the internet is not important to me during my stay. I can deal with everything else. That bed is really comfortable.

Shower was dirty, still had hairs from last person who showered. Very obvious it was not cleaned up after last guest. To top it off when I lay down to get some rest, I saw a big black spider on the wall

I thought I had prepaid for my stay. I choose that option at booking and when I checked in I was told their system doesn't actually charge your card as it says it does. That also means my no refund/ no cancellation reservation could have been canceled. This also threw my travel budget for a loop. Since I thought I had paid for the room a few months in advance. Was there for 2 nights and room key shut off after 1 night. Had to go to the office and have it reprogrammed. Room was nice and large. Could use more plug ins near the beds.

Exceptional Stay! We have stayed here before, yet this was the Best Stay ever! The Waffle Breakfast we well run and clean and great food. The BW Team was very courteous. We recommend this Hotel to others looking for a comfortable stay!

We enjoyed our 3 night stay here, the property is on the older side, but nevertheless it was clean & quiet.. The breakfast was good, coffee too. It is a pet friendly hotel as well! The location is excellent, easy on to. the 101. Hotel staff were friendly & helpful. Recommend & we will stay again!

This is an outstanding property in every sense. It's less than five minutes from Pismo Beach, on the 101 and very close to a first-rate restaurant. The rooms are very large and clean and the full breakfast is just as advertised./

I've stayed at this hotel 4 times now and it never disappoints. I love the Spanish style decor and tiles, pool is great, staff is great, rooms are perfect and spacious. I love the suite with the private bedroom. We've shared a room with family members and it gives you privacy.

Our room smelled of toxic cleaning chemicals. Also, housekeeping did not clean our room one day and when they did, they left our door ajar; we came back hours later to an open room. I could not reach the front desk and had to walk downstairs to retrieve fresh towels because of the lack of housekeeping and service.

On our way to So Cal needed an affordable place to stay. We arrived at 11pm at night to police activity in front of the property. All was fine. Rooms accessible from outdoors. Good value. Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was good, but there were more people in the breakfast rooms than tables. I would stay again.

We had a stopover here on our way to San Diego just for one night. As per other reviews you get what you pay for. Check in was easy and friendly however, no information regarding breakfast or amenities was given, just directions to our room. Room was on the ground floor and spacious with a king bed. Avoid getting a ground floor room if possible, you can hear every creak from the floors above and as most guests looked to be construction/road workers, we were awoken by loud noises from above and the carpark from around 5.30-6am. This hotel obviously has a lot of theft from rooms, as literally the only things left were a few disposable cups for the coffee machine. No spoons, forks, plates, glasses, actual cups etc. There was also a helpful list which provided the cost for every item if you did take something (sheets, towels, hairdryer, alarm clock etc). There was also nothing in the room to tell us about the hotel for example, the pool hours, if there was a laundry, breakfast etc. As I said, the room was comfortable and served its purpose but 1 night was enough.

A last minute decision for us that worked out well. We typically stay at another chain, but the Pismo location was booked full. Found this on Trip Advisor and set it up. Easy to find, right off the highway, easy check in, within walking distance of some shopping and eateries. Counter service was prompt and courteous with simple directions on how to find our room. Both the grounds and the exterior are well kept and have a nice look to them. Parking at the rooms us a bit tight, but not terrible. Our room was larger than most, and included 2 queens, a wet bar. 2 sink vanity, and a huge shower. Everything looked very clean and well maintained. The beds were comfortable as were the chairs. Since we were pressed for time, we didn't use the pool or fitness room, but the a.m. breakfast was a decent spread, kinda typical of hotel complementary breakfasts these days. We enjoyed our stay, would recommend, and will stay here next time we are in the area.

We loved the Mexican theme. Pool and hot tub area was very nice with a relaxing waterfall. The breakfast had hot items and everything was very good. The lady helping in the breakfast room was very nice and cheerful every morning. I really enjoyed the comfy beds.

Price was fair. Staff was nice. Bathroom fan sounded like it was about to fall out of the ceiling. Breakfast area was almost like trying to eat while spelunking. Breakfast was cold. Highway noise was fine. It's incredible how rude, inconsiderate guests can ruin the entire experience. The hotel isn't at fault for that though. The amount of people talking on their phones on the walkway in front of their rooms was amazing. Past 10pm before 7am really is not ok. Other people want to sleep. Slamming, banging, yelling, running... We don't want to hear you or your kids. Keep it classy. Really, the hotel itself was fine. Probably wouldn't go back though.

Quite frankly, it is an excellent place to stay and the breakfast is actually wonderful. The problem is, they stuff you in an area that is like a coffin as far as we are concerned. If there are a dozen people, you can't hardly move without bumping into someone. Tight squeeze. They do have a nice roomy place above the lobby but prefer to use an outside box type room that ruined our stay. There is no excuse for this no matter what they might tell you. Otherwise, everyone working there is great! Room attendants, lobby staff, breakfast servers, couldn't be better. And the hot tub is exceptional (hot!). So if you don't have breakfast, we'd certainly recommend this facility.

Enjoying Spring break in Arroyo Grande and this was the perfect place to spend it. When we first arrived it did not seem crowded but by the end of the evening the parking was full. Usually with crowds means noise, not here. We had a very peaceful stay. Freeway close and convenient to Old Village Arroyo Grande, Pismo Beach and Edna Valley wine tasting. The room is spacious with in room coffee, microwave and fridge. Bed is comfortable for sure Property offers a good breakfast to get you going for the day. Only draw back is that the breakfast room is very small. The pool and spa are nice and they also have a sauna for use. All three nights of our stay we enjoyed the lobby and fireplace for a few hours.

I made a reservation at Best Western because it was one of the few places that my Mom could include her dog with our stay. What a WONDERFUL surprise I had starting with their beautiful lobby, friendly staff, spacious clean rooms, clean dog run, and warm pool. I'll be staying there again!!

From the time we pulled into the parking area we felt we would enjoy this facility. The person checking us in was friendly and gave us a wonderful suggestion for dinner. Our room was clean and well appointed plus we had a table to eat at. We had our dog with us. The next morning we enjoyed a full breakfast from a very well appointed kitchen. Eggs,Bacon, Waffles and more before heading on down the road

Excellent accommodation! Very good value! Staff were great (I was lucky to be served by someone who gave excellent directions to local places). Everything worked. The atmosphere & decor were tasteful and attractive. I better not say too much or they might raise their rates. I am definitely staying here again when I pass through in the future.

This is a very convenient hotel for the Central Coast area. It is reasonably priced and provides a great home base to see all the sites. They have a great staff and it is nice they offer a breakfast that has a good variety of options.

HaGood breakfast and very nice breakfast room. They kept the food coming during breakfast time,=. When we check in, the front desk was very helpfull. Easy check in. We did have a resevervation . did not stayed in a BW before. Was pleasantly surprised! Much better than maybe 30 years ago.

if staying downstairs expect to be disturbed by guests above you. You can hear conversations, tv, footsteps, toilet, and showers running. the complimentary breakfast was good, plenty to eat, good strong coffee.

Overnight stay, visiting daughter at Cal Poly. Clean and comfortable, the woman at the front desk (sorry I don't have a name) was super nice and pleasant. The breakfast in the morning was absolutely crazy ... so many people in such a small space. I walked in, got a cup of coffee and left immediately. Needless to say we went elsewhere for breakfast.

We enjoyed our visit and everything was perfect. The hotel staff greeted us and our room was lovely. We were looking for a pet friendly hotel and this one really fit the bill. they have an excellent dog walking area in the back which was kept up very nicely. I would certainly recommend this place and will stay there again when I am in the area.

We had a last minute trip to Pismo. Good hotels in Pismo itself were either sold out or very expensive. For a lot more reasonable price ( still $ 175 for a Saturday night) we found this hotel about 2 Miles from downtown Pismo so short uber ride. We were pleasantly surprised, beautiful lobby is all Western themed and the rooms were very spacious , the kingbed was great and bathrooms very nice as well. Hands down the best BW I've ever stayed at

We stayed here for the first time and it was really nice! The room was very clean and updated. We stayed on the second floor and it was surprisingly quiet for being fully booked. We will definitely be going back again.

This is the second time we have stayed at this Best Western. The hotel is Pet Friendly ($20 extra for the dog). The hotel is just off of 101 but is a very quiet "compound" isolating the highway noise. I was looking for a place to stay the night on the way home from a family trip near pismo beach. Location easy to find, the hotel is nice and has good breakfast. There is a pool and hot tub too. Rooms are basic, but bed is comfortable and there is a fridge and microwave. Not too much parking space is arrive later in the evening. The hotel is not far from restaurants and close to pismo beach and butterfly sanctuary. I would go back.

Very attractive facility tucked away from the highway and tourists. We brought our pet and it was very clean and quiet. You can walk your dog along the creek trails behind the hotel. Great value for the location which is close to the beaches and restaurants.

Everything about this Hotel was great. The room was very comfortable and met My accessible needs. Very good Breakfast with many options. Close to the Freeway and all the Beach areas. This was Our second time staying here. Also very Pet Friendly.

Water heater not working so cold showers with low water pressure . We stayed on bottom floor and it was so loud ... we heard every flush, shower and step from the 2 doors above ... front desk on night shift rude and not accommodating . It was so noisey i had maybe an hour sleep

We stayed here for a night as we were driving along Big Sur to San Francisco. The hotel was fairly easy to find from the highway. There is parking at the front, you can even park outside your room if there's a space. The hotel was quite full and there was noise as people walked past your room but we didn't hear any noise when we were sleeping. The room was a good size and the bed was nice and comfortable. There is a pool but unfortunately we didn't have time to try it. You get breakfast which is served in a small room. There was a good choice of food: cereal, porridges, toast, fruit, hot foods and a waffle maker. There is a shopping complex a 5 minute drive away which has a Walmart and an In N Out Burger. I'd recommend this hotel if you're in need of a place to stay for a night or two.

Pro: large rooms, comfortable beds, hot breakfast, pool and spa that work!Cons: noisy if you are down stairs, breakfast ends by 9:30 Overall we really enjoyed this hotel. Most hotels near the beach are far less comfortable but they are close to the water. This one is far enough away that you have to drive to the beach and finding parking is kind of tricky.

I searched for a nice place to stop on the way from San-Francisco to LA and I was impressed from the room (its only 2.5 stars but the room is fine). Nice room, great bed for nice rest I didn't need more then that, also they have nice parking area with few elevators to the rooms Have Walmart and places to eat in the area I see lots of families there believe its also great place for families, the disadvantage is that you can hear them in the morning

Found a great gem of a hotel. Hotel has a Spanish feel with the decor and design. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms very nice and clean. Within walking distance of our favorite restaurant. I will definitely be coming back.

Stayed here for 2 days during my trip through the US and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was close to several nice places to eat, close to the highway and not to far away from great shopping. It was clean, had a nice pool and the breakfast in the morning was one of the better presented ones of the other hotels I stayed at during my trip.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Casa Grande. For all intents and purposes the location is great, facilities are nice, breakfast was good! However, the room cleaning staff failed to come back by our room to clean it after they knocked at 9:30 am to see if we were ready? I mean, you have to expect people to sleep in a bit. Not coming back to check was a bit annoying (since what else are we paying for at a hotel?). Secondly, the Pet Fee is $20 PER DAY. When I initially called I was told $20. Per day versus total is a substantial difference that would be a make or break on a long stay. All in all, good stay and would stay again, but that's what happened.

Room is nice. Bathroom is nice. We booked for 2 queen size beds but we got 2 doubles instead. Not happy with this because we wanted the queens for a reason. I reported it, they only smiled and did nothing.

Used to be a loyal customer; however, we had to pay more to stay Saturday even though we had stayed Friday & stayed at the Casa Grande for years! Went to another hotel for a lower price. May go there in the future.

The old Spanish decor and architecture is lovely. Well kept. Beautiful landscaping. Room was very nice. WiFi, refrigerator, microwave and coffee/tea maker. The room provided a walk-in shower and safety bars in the bathroom for disabled persons, which I really appreciated. Excellent breakfast.

This is a hidden gem! Beautifully decorated inside and out with a Mexican/Western feel. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. They are even dog friendly. I'd go back just to stay at the Hotel again!

Nice hotel off of US 101. Room was spacious with 2 queens. Bedding was nice and comfy. Nice room decor and had coffee maker, micro and fridge. Shower was a walk in, nice. Breakfast included. Pool and sauna available. Free parking. Lots of service nearby.

We have stayed here a few times and it keeps getting better! Pismo Beach is so relaxing, the weather was great. We used the pool and Jacuzzi. Breakfast every day at the hotel. This is something I have not come across in bars of .CA. You hand them your drivers license, get a writband, and go up to several taps to either sample or pour a full beer paid by the ounce. Every beer is calculated at a different rate, so taste what you want, pour what you want, and it all gets send to your tab. The food is tops too.

Always stay at Best Western and this one is one of the better ones. Right in the middle of the 5 cities and not far from anywhere you want to go. Very spaciouse room for a family of 4 with 2 busy toddlers.

We we're on a road trip to Northern California. We decided to make a few days of it and visit the Coast. Our first stop was Pismo Beach. We like staying at Best Westerns. However, there are no Best Westerns in Pismo Beach. I read the reviews about the Casa Grande and said let's give it a try. To our surprise the hotel was a lot was more than we expected. It was in a good area, close to Pismo and was reasonably price. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

We were visiting Pismo Beach and needed a place to stay for the night. We wanted somewhere off the beaten path so we chose Arroyo Grande. This place is a great find. So "Mission Like" . Beautiful surroundings. Very nice breakfast spread, quiet room... There's a restaurant within walking distance (just across a cute wooden bridge) that has great prices and good seafood. We would definitely stay here again...

We had such a great get-away. Our mini-vacation was for the beach, but Casa Grande is a location unto itself. We enjoyed the hot tub, roomy room, and free breakfast. There were numerous places to eat close by. Easy access to the 101 freeway. If you turn right out of the hotel there is a great view of the beach before getting to the next 101 onramp.

This is my go to hotel when visiting the Central Coast, very nice reasonable suites above the pool. Comfortable and quite. Very professional staff,great General Manager.Trust me you will not be disappointed.

I took a few days to visit Pismo Beach.This hotel is 1 exit shy of Pismo but you save a lot of money and that staff is not only professional but friendly and they go out of their way to make your stay awesome

This hotel was a a delightful place to stay just off the 101, the decor was lovely and created a restful ambience, all done in Spanish style. The rooms were good size, nice and clean. The breakfasts was excellent, and the pool was very relaxing

Great hotel and staff, breakfast was very good with large selection of foods. Desk staff was great in helping with selection of area places to dine. Location was close to freeway but not so close you heard and noise. I would stay again next time I am in the area.

Clean, comfortable and VERY quiet Best Western. Free continental breakfast was delicious and the staff were friendly. Pool and hot tub open late, saunas available. Lots of parking available. Safe neighborhood and good location in Pismo Beach.

The hotel and staff were great, unfortunately our surrounding guests were not to courteous to others. Normally I wouldn't really care. This night they seemed to be up all night and between rooms. From the guests above running and jumping to the guests running up and down the stairs and hanging out, out in parking lot and surrounding rooms.l. Not much sleep was had that night. The only other complaint I would have is the breakfast areas are too small and made for an unpleasant experience.

This Best Western is lovely in the lobby and on the grounds. The decor is Southwestern. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable. I overheard a desk clerk calmly and good naturedly disarm a customer who insisted she'd reserved a room with a balcony though it was clear she hadn't. I was impressed that the desk clerk treated the customer with respect throughout the exchange.

The room was excellent. Conveniently located to the outlets and many restaurants. The beds were super comfortable and very relaxing. Would definitely stay there again. The breakfast was a little bland but good.

Most of the time we stay at Best Western, but this is the BEST one we ever stayed. Most of the item the picture you see on the website is not same as it looks when you arrive, but this facility beats. The Spanish style decor and no carpet in the room and the best breakfast, swimming pool, Jacuzzi were very clean and convenient. The only hitch was breakfast timings are bit early for a weekend vacation travelers. We will be back here again !!!

Just a couple of blocks off the 101 Highway, easy to vist neighboring communities of Nipomo, Pismo, Shell Beach and San Luis Obispo wine country in under 10 minutes. Lots of parking, fairly spacious rooms, pool, jacuzzi spa, and 24 hour desk all benefits, along with a nice included breakfast (fresh fruit, waffles, baked goods, yoghurt, scrambled eggs & bacon). Shopping centers and restaurants across the street, and only about a mile to the charming old downtown area. Our particular downstairs room had a squeaky ceiling from an occupied room above, which liked to wake up about 5 am every morning, but other than that minor irritant, it was a comfortable stay, with friendly and helpful staff. Lots of onsite parking, no surprises or extras.

This hotel was expected as an affordable stop-over, but for the price it was so much more than we expected. Grand, beautiful old hotel with wonderful staff and amenities. We were so thrilled to have found this gem

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The appearance of the lobby is beautiful, the room was super clean, with the necessary amenities. I loved that is pet friendly, they have a Designated area to walk them and they provide poop bags. The breakfast was also so good and with a lot of options.

The hotel is central and good accessible with comfortable rooms and bed. Also quiet rooms. The breakfast is really not worth it. At least there were some fresh fruits available. The rest was kind of cheap (bacon, eggs, bread etc.).

A 1 night stay on route up Highway 1. Comfortable clean room with a fair breakfast. Small pool if you have time for it. Nicely laid out with ample parking. Fine for a 1 night stay. We like to walk out for dinner and not sure if anything was walkable but that wasn't a problem

We've stayed at this location a few times. They have a very pet friendly policy and good areas for your pet to roam. Rooms are clean and the breakfast waffles are great!. The hotel is reasonably priced and has easy access to the freeway.

This was my third stay at the Casa Grande Motel. We generally stay here when in AG because their pet policy is reasonable and not too expensive ($20) compared to other nearby hotels. This trip the room had been redone with simulated wood floors (luxury vinyl planks) which are durable and easy to clean (which is nice when you know other pets have stayed there before you). Room was large and beds comfortable. The rate was ridiculously high but that is what the central coast goes for in the summer now. Breakfast was mid-range for help-yourself. Plenty of parking even though the hotel was sold out.

Had to book late on same day, and found a great rate here. The room was spacious, clean, adequate breakfast, and quiet. The hotel met all but one expectation...we asked for additional towels. The person at the front desk said he'd bring them to the room, but they never arrived. The best part of our stay was how clean the entire hotel was as well as the VERY spacious room.

Found a great deal on here for a suite that had a king and a queen bed as well as a sleeper sofa for under $200. Was clean, had air conditioning, large and open and offered a decent continental breakfast. My only complaint would be that our room was on side of highway and once morning hit it was a bit loud.

A little tired, but quiet & clean, obviously a popular stop, as parking was limited / full up when we returned from diner, glad we used Lyft & left our truck in the parking area. Would stay here again.

I was travelling for over a month and stayed at various hotels throughout the states. This one refused my Mastercard because.. wait for it.. it doesn't have my name on it... It's a US dollars currency card... Every hotel I had stayed in accepted it without issue. Even other BW hotels. The room was prepaid using the same card but they wanted a hold of 100 dollars... This forced me to go to a ATM and get cash despite the fact I did not want or need any "incidentals" the stafff were right rude and called me a liar when I said the card had been accepted in countless hotels for over a month! Avoid this farcical Mexican tarts boudoir.

We were visiting family in the area. Because of the rate we paid, we expected so much more. The first problem was that I have a minor disability. The room assigned to us was not close to the one elevator but the check in person said that the place was full- no other rooms available. The room was old and worn, but clean. Bed was not comfortable. The whole place needs to be renovated. I would not stay there in the future.

We were lucky to find a room here for our granddaughter's graduation from Cal Poly. It brings something like 2000 extra people into a small town surrounded by small towns. Our rate was $525 for two nights which is high for a Best Western but we heard people talking about paying $400+ a night for a Motel 6 if they could even find one due to graduation. This hotel is a lovely California Spanish design which made it look fancier than it really is. The doors to the rooms are located on 3 floors with open walkways, but we had no problems except for our keys not working twice-aggravating! The hotel has a very strict no party or noise policy which we really appreciated. The rooms seemed recently remodeled with granite counter tops, tile showers, a nice counter with a microwave and refrigerator. The room was spotless. And they had a counter with a cupboard in the dressing area and the toilet and shower were separate. Bed was one of the most comfortable I've slept on and I stay about 20+ nights in hotels in a year. Pillows were small sized but plentiful and fabulously comfortable. I'd love to buy some. And thank you to the manager for having a liner in the trash cans. Parking was easy, staff was nice and breakfast was good. I wish hotels would let the free breakfast attendants put out a tip jar. We tip anyway but so many don't and they are working hard to keep everything fresh hot and replenished. Would definitely stay here again. Not a beach property but so many beaches are so close it was ok. Nice small to mid size pool.

This is our second time staying here while vacatiokning during the summer for two years in a row, it is kid friendly, close to Oceano dunes, we trailer out our side by side and park it here with no problems...the staff is friendly and they include breakfast. It is near the freeway and has laundry on site.

We found the large family suite perfect while traveling down from No. Ca. to San Clemente. Good stopping point. It was exceptionally clean and the breakfast bar was so easy for starting out the day south. We liked it so much that we stayed again on our return trip. Very nice stay!

Rooms overlook pool or small garden. No elevator so if you need to, ask for a ground level room. Good continental breakfast included with eggs, sausage make your own waffles, cereal, fruit and pastries.

This hotel was very expensive for the quality received. The beds are very uncomfortable and the room itself was just ok, nothing great. This definitely should have been a cheaper rate than what we paid. Spider in bathroom was a little concerning since this should be kept up with a service that Best Western should have for their hotels.

The only real complaint we had was that we could hear everything. Granted, there was a group of about 10 kids who were having a birthday at the hotel, but we shouldn't have been able to hear what was happening throughout the facility. The place was generally clean, and the staff was very nice. Just the noise level bumped down the rating.

The room was fantastic. Large a lot of room. The Jacuzzi needed some help but 1/2 of it worked. I have stayed at a lot of Best Westerns all over the country and this is well located. The parking is a bit funny but once you get used to the layout is works well There are plenty of places to eat and stores within walking distance. Driving to Pismo is easy and very close. Avila Beach just a short hop. San Luis Obispo is 11 miles up the coast. You've have it all..

This facility has a perfect combination on location, close to everything beach,shops,attractions etc but far enough away to be peaceful and tranquil and loads of free parking. The pool and jacuzzi area was spotlessly clean as was the breakfast area, although the breakfast area is small it seamed to run extremely efficiently with a great selection of food and drink and very pleasant friendly staff.

We stayed at this Best Western property for three nights while visiting Arroyo Grande to see family. We ended up getting a great rate through a Groupon promotion the hotel happened to be running and considering the rate we paid, we were extremely happy with this hotel. The property has a nice Spanish theme and the grounds were definitely maintained well. The front desk staff were super friendly and worked very efficiently for a quick check-in/out. We had a room on the third floor, conveniently by the elevator. Self-parking was always super convenient as there seemed to be plenty of spaces. Our room was extremely clean and kept with the nice Spanish theme. The bathroom and shower area were also spotlessly clean which to us, is always super important. The room in general even smelled nice and clean. We had a king sized bed which, was on the firm side but, still very comfortable. The bed linens were clean and smelled freshly washed. We slept very well for all three nights. The only possible gripe I could think of was the water pressure in the shower which, could definitely be better. Overall though, we were extremely happy with our stay at this Best Western and feel as if we received an exceptional value for our money. If you're looking for a nice, simple, and clean place to sleep at night without spending a huge amount of money, I highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel is located near to the beach, shopping and dining. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and courteous. Very relaxing and with great amenities, pet friendly, free wifi, free breakfast, it's hard to beat for the price.

Great place to stay in the middle of beautiful wine country. Quiet and clean. Lots of free parking. Breakfast area was very, very small (not enough seating). Recommend visiting a few wineries in the region and a hike around nearby Lake Nacimiento (about a 20-30 minute drive from downtown).

We have tried other motels and hotels in the Arroyo Grande, Pismo Beach area and have not been as happy with the room for the cost. The place is beautiful, with a hacienda flair. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Love that every room has a small fridge and microwave, as well as coffee maker. We travel here several times a year to visit family who live here. I highly recommend BW Casa Grande.

we were in the area to watch some sport events at nearby Cal Poly SLO. The hotel is literally right off the freeway, as is the University, so it is a quick and very scenic 15 minute drive! The room is a good size and we had 2 queen beds. The complimentary breakfast buffet provided all the options we could want and was a great value daily. didn't get to use the pool area but it was gorgeous, as is the landscaping and architecture of the hotel. The staff was very friendly and professional as well and the price was very inexpensive for a California coastal hotel.

Just loved the authentic Mexican decor, down to the distressed interior doors. We were upgraded to a suite which was very nice. The king bed was very comfortable, nice cozy sheets, spacious room with mini frig and microwave. Loved the tiled bathroom with step in shower. Very clean, quiet room even though it was close to the freeway. Pool area very cool.

This is not the fanciest place to stay in the area, but it is clean, the staff are friendly, it has a great location and the prices are very reasonable. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in the area.

Our family recently stayed at this hotel on our visit to SLO's open house. The surrounding area hotels had jacked up their rates because of the open house so we looked at Pismo Beach and Arroyo Grande hotels. Unfortunately Pismo prices were also expensive, but we found this great hotel in Arroyo Grande. It's minutes south of Pismo Beach and about 20 minutes from SLO. A similar hotel during this time in SLO would have been $300 plus. It was only $170 for us. The 20 minute drive is easy and well worth the savings The hotel had a nice spanish style decor and the breakfast had your usual items at these types of hotels. Check in/out process was easy. Unfortunately because it seemed like we walked all day during the open house, I did not get a chance to work out at a nearby facility with arrangements with this hotel (btw one day gym visit in SLO will run $20/day). If I'm in the area, I would defintely consider staying here again.

Being clean is some thing I really need this Motel met all standards. Every employee I come in contact with were very respectful and helpful during my stay. I would definitely recommend this motel to my close friends.

For the area this hotel is reasonably priced. For this class of hotels it gets 5 stars. It is not the Ritz, it is very clean, modern fixtures, quiet and a very comfortable bed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We did not try the included continental breakfast. There is coffee in the room, a small refrigerator and microwave.

This Hotel is really beautiful and is in a Spanish style and nicely landscaped. The staff were all kind and pleasant to deal with and the location is ok being close to the 101. BUT we stayed four nights recently and for two nights had noisy neighbors and on those nights it became clear that there is nearly no sound insulation between the rooms. You can hear nearly everything. Secondly, in my opinion, the breakfast buffet really needs upgrading--very few healthy items and poor quality of food and coffee is offered. The exact same food is offered daily. Well below our expectations for this type of hotel.

Oh, how I boast about the Best Western Casa Grande Inn! Don't be fooled by the term "Inn" because the rooms are, in no way, shabby. Chic is the order of each day at the Casa Grande with beautifully landscaped grounds and wonderfully inviting service. This is a favorite Generational Getaway Spot. I first stayed at the Inn back in or around 2001 when my maternal grandmother was still living. She, my mother and I would do a trip to Pismo Beach several times per year for our Mother-Daughter-and-Grandma getaway. Since then, this is the only place where I will stay when visiting Pismo Beach. From time to time, my mother and I still go...or, I also enjoy the stay here during solo trips. Great breakfast...Nice Jacuzzi...Ample Parking and, for me, sentimental value.

We chose this motel because of its wheelchair accessibility. It's close proximity to the Monarch Butterfly Park was also a consideration. Although there were a few others a little less expensive, I didn't want to be disappointed in the cleanliness. What a treat when we opened the door to a cooled room (Our February weather reached the mid 80's) with a fresh smell. The room was large, and the bathroom had a chair height toilet with grip bars for extra help. The shower had a built in seat and a hand held shower wand if needed. Breakfast was pretty tasty for motel food...scrambled eggs that were still warm, bacon, and make your own waffles with strawberry topping. The motel is on a multi tiered piece of property but they have used it to their advantage. Several eateries are nearby and the quaint old town of Arroyo Grande is just a few blocks away. Cookies and coffee are served from 4 - 6pm. Very clean room, beds were comfortable, CC TV, plenty of clean towels in our room and friendly service.

My family and I stayed at Best Western in Arroyo Grande. The staff was very friemdly. We will be back. Complimentary breakfast was good. Accommodations and decorations were very nice and clean. The beds very comfortable.

Overall, the value is tremendous. The hotel staff are courteous and professional. The rooms are very nice and well maintained. The breakfast buffet is wonderful. Even the groundskeeping crew is super. Pool, jacuzzi, and sauna are well serviced and maintained, and I would recommend this property to any and all travelers in California's central coast.

We stayed here for one night on our journey south. Check-in was swift however, as longtime BW Rewards members, we wondered about the room-allocation sandwiched between a bunch of early-rising tradesmen with noisy trucks. The hotel did not appear to be full so this was puzzling. Otherwise, the room itself was fine and the breakfast was reasonable. This is a very nice property in an excellent location and only a few steps to the shopping precinct with a particularly nice fish restaurant, among others. We would stay here again but next time we will insist on a better room allocation.

Had two girl ages 19 and 20 showed up little after 11:00 pm to check in on a pre-booked paid for room. Fron counter person asked for ID and credit card, then chuckled when he say the ID and sai" this isnt going to happen". She wasnt 21, cant book a room. He provided no guidance told them all the hotels around here are 21 nad over. NO where does it say you have to be 21, uness its the smallest print somewhere. I called reservation.com and the front desk asking what i would need to book a room and at NO POINT did they ask my age. So they will happily book you a room but then turn you away once you arrive and then ask for your ID.

I have been coming here for 15 years for getaways to Pismo Beach, birthdays, and stopping midway on a longer trip. Consistent quality is keeps me loyal. Great customer service! The Suite rooms are large and private. Nice breakfast also offered at no charge.

Do not understand needs of a person in a wheelchair. Put us in a room with a 6 in side walk and no ramps. They did finally get us a room that was wheelchair accessible but I don't think we should have had to go thru the hassle they put us thru since I told them when making the reservation and again at check in that my husband was in a wheelchair. Maybe they should read the American Disability Act

The room was clean and the wi fi was strong enough for streaming. The grounds were well kept and the architecture had a cute western theme. The staff was very kind and let me know about joining Best Western club for future discounts.

We have stayed at this motel before, obviously we like it as we drove further this day to get here. Rooms are clean, staff are friendly and courteous, Very nice outward appearance. Convenient location, right off the freeway. We had a King room with a setting area, one of the bigger motel rooms we have ever had.

Always a pleasant stay here. Atmosphere is very pleasant and quiet. Always enjoy the morning breakfast and convenient that its within walking to some dining locations. Only thing that would make this absolutely perfect is if it were within walking to the actual beach.

Yummy food, great service, big rooms, many amenities in a gorgeous setting! The reservation and breakfast staff are among the Reservation and food staff is the best I have experienced even in five star hotels. This is a llot of value for the money. The hotel public areas are great and beautiful. Sleeping rooms are well-equipped. Easy parking, great pool and excellent wifi help the hotel earn a 10, a perfect 10!

Check in was so easy and smooth, Mike was great and the Christmas decorations We're beautiful. The room was very clean and well presented and the bed was so comfortable, best sleep for a while. Breakfast was nice and well stocked up. Check out was very easy. Definitely would recommend and only 5 mins from Pismo

The staff are great!, the hotel is nice and the grounds are kepted up nicely. Breakfast is typical but Ok. Not a big fan of the later checkin time 4pm? What happened to a reasonable 2pm checkin? Seems like less for more.

I surprised my husband and got us a room at this hotel. I was super excited because we booked the King Suite that had a jacuzzi. The second we arrived the staff was so warm and welcoming. When we got in our room we were pleasantly surprised at how big it was! It was a little dated but it worked with the Spanish style of the hotel! The jacuzzi tub was AWESOME! The only thing that we did not care for was the bed. Which was disappointing. It was hard and could use at least a pillow top. The continental breakfast wasn't bad. I enjoyed the waffles, eggs and sausage. Overall we had a wonderful stay and we'll possibly stay again, we just hope the bed will be updated so we could sleep better!

Overall great experience but they do need a little bit of updating nothing to much but definitely on the key card readers.. Also the price is a bit high, if it wasn't for the points I wouldn't stay here with out of my pocket tho, no offense.
