    « Great value »

This facility has a perfect combination on location, close to everything beach, shops, attractions etc but far enough away to be peaceful and tranquil and loads of free parking. The pool and jacuzzi area was spotlessly clean as was the breakfast area, although the breakfast area is small it seamed to run extremely efficiently with a great selection of food and drink and very pleasant friendly staff.

    « Excellent Stay »

We stayed at this Best Western property for three nights while visiting Arroyo Grande to see family. We ended up getting a great rate through a Groupon promotion the hotel happened to be running and considering the rate we paid, we were extremely happy with this hotel. The property has a nice Spanish theme and the grounds were definitely maintained well. The front desk staff were super friendly and worked very efficiently for a quick check-in/out. We had a room on the third floor, conveniently by the elevator. Self-parking was always super convenient as there seemed to be plenty of spaces. Our room was extremely clean and kept with the nice Spanish theme. The bathroom and shower area were also spotlessly clean which to us, is always super important. The room in general even smelled nice and clean. We had a king sized bed which, was on the firm side but, still very comfortable. The bed linens were clean and smelled freshly washed. We slept very well for all three nights. The only possible gripe I could think of was the water pressure in the shower which, could definitely be better. Overall though, we were extremely happy with our stay at this Best Western and feel as if we received an exceptional value for our money. If you're looking for a nice, simple, and clean place to sleep at night without spending a huge amount of money, I highly recommend this hotel.

« Great Place to Stay »

This hotel is located near to the beach, shopping and dining. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and courteous. Very relaxing and with great amenities, pet friendly, free wifi, free breakfast, it's hard to beat for the price.

    « convenient location »

Great place to stay in the middle of beautiful wine country. Quiet and clean. Lots of free parking. Breakfast area was very, very small (not enough seating). Recommend visiting a few wineries in the region and a hike around nearby Lake Nacimiento (about a 20-30 minute drive from downtown).

« Truly the best in Arroyo Grande »

We have tried other motels and hotels in the Arroyo Grande, Pismo Beach area and have not been as happy with the room for the cost. The place is beautiful, with a hacienda flair. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Love that every room has a small fridge and microwave, as well as coffee maker. We travel here several times a year to visit family who live here. I highly recommend BW Casa Grande.

« charming and great location »

we were in the area to watch some sport events at nearby Cal Poly SLO. The hotel is literally right off the freeway, as is the University, so it is a quick and very scenic 15 minute drive! The room is a good size and we had 2 queen beds. The complimentary breakfast buffet provided all the options we could want and was a great value daily. didn't get to use the pool area but it was gorgeous, as is the landscaping and architecture of the hotel. The staff was very friendly and professional as well and the price was very inexpensive for a California coastal hotel.

« Beautiful, great theme, convenient location »

Just loved the authentic Mexican decor, down to the distressed interior doors. We were upgraded to a suite which was very nice. The king bed was very comfortable, nice cozy sheets, spacious room with mini frig and microwave. Loved the tiled bathroom with step in shower. Very clean, quiet room even though it was close to the freeway. Pool area very cool.

    5
« Great For The Price »

This is not the fanciest place to stay in the area, but it is clean, the staff are friendly, it has a great location and the prices are very reasonable. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in the area.

« Great place to stay when SLO is over priced »

Our family recently stayed at this hotel on our visit to SLO's open house. The surrounding area hotels had jacked up their rates because of the open house so we looked at Pismo Beach and Arroyo Grande hotels. Unfortunately Pismo prices were also expensive, but we found this great hotel in Arroyo Grande. It's minutes south of Pismo Beach and about 20 minutes from SLO. A similar hotel during this time in SLO would have been $300 plus. It was only $170 for us. The 20 minute drive is easy and well worth the savings The hotel had a nice spanish style decor and the breakfast had your usual items at these types of hotels. Check in/out process was easy. Unfortunately because it seemed like we walked all day during the open house, I did not get a chance to work out at a nearby facility with arrangements with this hotel (btw one day gym visit in SLO will run $20/day). If I'm in the area, I would defintely consider staying here again.

    « Clean And Respectful »

Being clean is some thing I really need this Motel met all standards. Every employee I come in contact with were very respectful and helpful during my stay. I would definitely recommend this motel to my close friends.

« Great clean, comfortable hotel. »

For the area this hotel is reasonably priced. For this class of hotels it gets 5 stars. It is not the Ritz, it is very clean, modern fixtures, quiet and a very comfortable bed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We did not try the included continental breakfast. There is coffee in the room, a small refrigerator and microwave.

    2
    « Beautiful facility BUT..... »

This Hotel is really beautiful and is in a Spanish style and nicely landscaped. The staff were all kind and pleasant to deal with and the location is ok being close to the 101. BUT we stayed four nights recently and for two nights had noisy neighbors and on those nights it became clear that there is nearly no sound insulation between the rooms. You can hear nearly everything. Secondly, in my opinion, the breakfast buffet really needs upgrading--very few healthy items and poor quality of food and coffee is offered. The exact same food is offered daily. Well below our expectations for this type of hotel.

    « Large Elegant Rooms »

Oh, how I boast about the Best Western Casa Grande Inn! Don't be fooled by the term "Inn" because the rooms are, in no way, shabby. Chic is the order of each day at the Casa Grande with beautifully landscaped grounds and wonderfully inviting service. This is a favorite Generational Getaway Spot. I first stayed at the Inn back in or around 2001 when my maternal grandmother was still living. She, my mother and I would do a trip to Pismo Beach several times per year for our Mother-Daughter-and-Grandma getaway. Since then, this is the only place where I will stay when visiting Pismo Beach. From time to time, my mother and I still go...or, I also enjoy the stay here during solo trips. Great breakfast...Nice Jacuzzi...Ample Parking and, for me, sentimental value.

« Beautiful motel in the Best Western Chain »

We chose this motel because of its wheelchair accessibility. It's close proximity to the Monarch Butterfly Park was also a consideration. Although there were a few others a little less expensive, I didn't want to be disappointed in the cleanliness. What a treat when we opened the door to a cooled room (Our February weather reached the mid 80's) with a fresh smell. The room was large, and the bathroom had a chair height toilet with grip bars for extra help. The shower had a built in seat and a hand held shower wand if needed. Breakfast was pretty tasty for motel food...scrambled eggs that were still warm, bacon, and make your own waffles with strawberry topping. The motel is on a multi tiered piece of property but they have used it to their advantage. Several eateries are nearby and the quaint old town of Arroyo Grande is just a few blocks away. Cookies and coffee are served from 4 - 6pm. Very clean room, beds were comfortable, CC TV, plenty of clean towels in our room and friendly service.

    « Family trip »

My family and I stayed at Best Western in Arroyo Grande. The staff was very friemdly. We will be back. Complimentary breakfast was good. Accommodations and decorations were very nice and clean. The beds very comfortable.

Comfortable, beautiful property. Very clean, great breakfast, easy check in and check out. Walking distance to Kmart if you need anything. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.staff was very helpful

    « Very nice stay »

Great location, not to close to the freeway so no loud freeway noise. Very pretty grounds & nice pool. The rooms are comfortable & have some recent updating. The pool area is very nice. The staff is friendly. Really nice lobby. Breakfast is okay. We will continue to .stay there as we have for many years as it is a good value, safe & comfortable

    5
« Great Staff and Facility »

Overall, the value is tremendous. The hotel staff are courteous and professional. The rooms are very nice and well maintained. The breakfast buffet is wonderful. Even the groundskeeping crew is super. Pool, jacuzzi, and sauna are well serviced and maintained, and I would recommend this property to any and all travelers in California's central coast.

    5
    « Excellent »

Beautiful decor, great pool and jacuzzi, excellent service. Close to Restaurants and shopping. Good breakfast, good parking, Breakfast was great although the room is too small. Outdoor seating available if not raining.

    « Nice property »

We stayed here for one night on our journey south. Check-in was swift however, as longtime BW Rewards members, we wondered about the room-allocation sandwiched between a bunch of early-rising tradesmen with noisy trucks. The hotel did not appear to be full so this was puzzling. Otherwise, the room itself was fine and the breakfast was reasonable. This is a very nice property in an excellent location and only a few steps to the shopping precinct with a particularly nice fish restaurant, among others. We would stay here again but next time we will insist on a better room allocation.

« Always pick this place over the rest! »

Have stayed here a lot in the last year! My kids love it and my parents love it. Always nice staff. Clean rooms, big rooms. Great breakfast. Would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice place to stay!

« Turned away even when the room was booked and paid for, must be 21. »

Had two girl ages 19 and 20 showed up little after 11:00 pm to check in on a pre-booked paid for room. Fron counter person asked for ID and credit card, then chuckled when he say the ID and sai" this isnt going to happen". She wasnt 21, cant book a room. He provided no guidance told them all the hotels around here are 21 nad over. NO where does it say you have to be 21, uness its the smallest print somewhere. I called reservation.com and the front desk asking what i would need to book a room and at NO POINT did they ask my age. So they will happily book you a room but then turn you away once you arrive and then ask for your ID.

« Great place to Stay »

I have been coming here for 15 years for getaways to Pismo Beach, birthdays, and stopping midway on a longer trip. Consistent quality is keeps me loyal. Great customer service! The Suite rooms are large and private. Nice breakfast also offered at no charge.

« Wheelchair accessibile not understood by staff »

Do not understand needs of a person in a wheelchair. Put us in a room with a 6 in side walk and no ramps. They did finally get us a room that was wheelchair accessible but I don't think we should have had to go thru the hassle they put us thru since I told them when making the reservation and again at check in that my husband was in a wheelchair. Maybe they should read the American Disability Act

    5
« All you need for the price »

The room was clean and the wi fi was strong enough for streaming. The grounds were well kept and the architecture had a cute western theme. The staff was very kind and let me know about joining Best Western club for future discounts.

    5
« Great Facility, very nice rooms. »

We have stayed at this motel before, obviously we like it as we drove further this day to get here. Rooms are clean, staff are friendly and courteous, Very nice outward appearance. Convenient location, right off the freeway. We had a King room with a setting area, one of the bigger motel rooms we have ever had.

    5
    « Quick getaway »

Always a pleasant stay here. Atmosphere is very pleasant and quiet. Always enjoy the morning breakfast and convenient that its within walking to some dining locations. Only thing that would make this absolutely perfect is if it were within walking to the actual beach.

    5
« Best ever hotel! Beautiful theme hotel, large rooms, great staFF spot »

Yummy food, great service, big rooms, many amenities in a gorgeous setting! The reservation and breakfast staff are among the Reservation and food staff is the best I have experienced even in five star hotels. This is a llot of value for the money. The hotel public areas are great and beautiful. Sleeping rooms are well-equipped. Easy parking, great pool and excellent wifi help the hotel earn a 10, a perfect 10!

« Road Trip from San Francisco to LA »

Check in was so easy and smooth, Mike was great and the Christmas decorations We're beautiful. The room was very clean and well presented and the bed was so comfortable, best sleep for a while. Breakfast was nice and well stocked up. Check out was very easy. Definitely would recommend and only 5 mins from Pismo

    3
    « Arroyo Grande »

The staff are great!, the hotel is nice and the grounds are kepted up nicely. Breakfast is typical but Ok. Not a big fan of the later checkin time 4pm? What happened to a reasonable 2pm checkin? Seems like less for more.

    « Convient »

Easy to find, right off the freeway. Rooms are quiet, clean and well kept. This is our second stay because of the first. Have found employees, all of them, hospital and professional. Thank you Casa Grande Inn for all the good service.

« Great stay for our Anniversary! »

I surprised my husband and got us a room at this hotel. I was super excited because we booked the King Suite that had a jacuzzi. The second we arrived the staff was so warm and welcoming. When we got in our room we were pleasantly surprised at how big it was! It was a little dated but it worked with the Spanish style of the hotel! The jacuzzi tub was AWESOME! The only thing that we did not care for was the bed. Which was disappointing. It was hard and could use at least a pillow top. The continental breakfast wasn't bad. I enjoyed the waffles, eggs and sausage. Overall we had a wonderful stay and we'll possibly stay again, we just hope the bed will be updated so we could sleep better!

    4
« Trip to Pismo beach »

Overall great experience but they do need a little bit of updating nothing to much but definitely on the key card readers.. Also the price is a bit high, if it wasn't for the points I wouldn't stay here with out of my pocket tho, no offense.

« The Beginning of our Thanksgiving Break »

BW Casa Grande Inn has always been a mainstay when we visit the Central Coast. Sharon, Rita and the team treat us as family. We have spent countless summers, winter and spring breaks here. It is within driving distance to the beach. Staff had been welcoming and courteous.

    5
« Wonderful Stay at BW Casa Grande »

Our family vacation was very enjoyable at Casa Grade. We spend many of our vacation here. It is very comfortable and close to attractions. Staff is very hospitable and accommodating. Very relaxing and serene here. Coffee and cookies are available at late afternoon arrival.

    5
    « Great Room »

We really enjoyed our stay. Nice room. We were in 220 which I think was an accessible room. It was spacious. Bed was comfortable, as were pillows. The shower was really nice. Loved the separate vanity and extra long counter space and sink. My one very small complaint was the smell of the complementary soap. But a great place. Will stay there again.

    4
    « Visit »

We had booked three nights but had a medical emergency and had to leave the next day. The staff was VERY caring and helpful in guiding us to local care. We would definitely recommend this hotel for the service, location and appearance.

    5
« Nice place to stay in Central Coast, CA »

This is our second time staying at this property, the staff at the front desk were very helpful and professional. The hotel is located in a good location. We've stayed at many different hotels in Pismo/Arroyo Grande and San Luis Obispo. The overall property was clean, although the rooms are slightly dated, its clean and in working order. Will be back in a few months.

    5
    « A little gem »

Beautiful property and great staff... we were pleasantly surprised with what a great BW this is. Within walking distance to AJ Spurs for a great meal. I loved that they had coffee at all times in the lobby and I certainly took advantage of it.

    5
« Great place and location and value »

Love Arroyo Grande/Pismo area. We go at least 4 times a year. We have tried several hotels and this is the best. If you are looking for a quiet, clean, pleasant, place to stay and be in a convenient location for a reasonable price. This is the place!

« Very nice and spacious hotel »

Travelled in August 2017 with friends. Very nice property with the outdoors pool, spacious and nice rooms and amazing breakfast in the morning (freshly baked waffles, yogurt and many other things. Highly recommended!

    4
    « Coast visit »

This is a nice hotel although if your mobility is limit you might let them know as it is built on a hill and some areas are a little steep. There could be more access to ice machines. Good breakfast, nice room. Overall a great stay.

    5
    « A lovely place. »

My daughter and I had a really nice experience here. The buildings are beautifully decorated in Spanish style, with murals and other decorations. Use of plants and trees is very effective. The room was furnished with two queen beds, a walk-in shower and safety bars for disabled people. I appreciated those amenities, as I need them. The breakfast included waffle, bagels, other rolls and breads, eggs, bacon, yogurt, cereals, juices and coffee/tea. Wonderful!

    4
« Great Place to stay »

This place is great the rooms are very spacious. The breakfast is not bad. The staff was great everyone was very nice and friendly. The pool and spa was very nice. My mother is handicapped and they were very accommodating. I will be staying here again

    4
« Great Place to Stay »

This is a great place to stay. It is reasonably priced compared to other hotels/motels in the area. It is close to shopping, the beach, and other points of interest. And it's not too far from other beach ares, such as, Avila Beach and Moro Bay.

    5
    « Jazz best »

I have stayed there for many years when attending Jazz festival in Pismo Beach, and always have been more than satisfied. It is also, close to restaurants and vent locations, Breakfast is much better than average, but the rood can get crowded

    4
    « Perfect Overnighter »

The hotel was a perfect for a quick overnighter coming in from the Bay Area. It was an hour out of Lompoc. The hotel and room was clean and in a nice area. I travel through-out California and picking hotels that are clean and in nice areas are normally a crap shoot. I would definitely stay here again.

    4
    « Nice Best Western »

Overall state of hotel was in excellent shape and well maintained. Front desk staff was friendly and efficient upon arrival though could dress more business-like. Room was very clean and spacious (oversize king), bed a bit soft for my taste. Immaculate pool and spa outside with plenty of lounges. Breakfast included basic continental items as well as scrambled eggs, thin (but plenty) bacon, and waffles. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good central location between downtown Arroyo Grande and Grover Beach/Pismo, also near malls and Outlet Mall.

    5
    « Beautiful Southwestern Motif »

This place was surprisingly beautiful. Fountains, rock walls, swimming pool, all decorated to a Southwestern canyon theme. The whole interior parking area and room doors all enclosed in beautiful rock walls. King size bed and nice sitting chair. The room was also decorated to the same southwestern theme

    4
    « Good choice »

After reviewing many hotel choices in the area, I was most impressed by the competitive price and the reviews that I saw. I wasn't disappointed. In my many years of business travel, I have been disappointed too many times to count! I would definitely stay here again.

« Hotels Rooms are very Large »

The hotel has really nice rooms. I loved the decor of the room. I did run into an issue, I was on the first floor and the people above me were very noisy. It seemed as though they were stomping around it was terrible. I had to call and complain which i do no like doing. It was not the hotels fault and i would stay again.

    5
    « nice hotel »

i would stay here again. very nice hotel, and good service. love the spanish style. the breakfast was pretty good. the people were really nice. we have friends that stayed in a suite and their room was really nice also.

« Affordable lodging on the Central Coast »

We love the Casa Grande! The Inn has clean rooms, refreshing pool and hot tub, and a good variety of continental breakfast items. Perfect spot to stay when enjoying beaches and activities on the central coast. The southwest decor in the lobby is amazing!

    4
« nice place to stay »

rooms were in excellent condition. We've stayed here in the past, several times. Easy to find and conveniently located. The only thing we had to say that was negative, was that the bacon at breakfast was thinner than wallpaper

    5
    « Excellent Accommodations »

Absolutely Love this Place for a Stop Over when heading to Northern or Southern California. It's Perfect! Great Staff, and totally receptive to every need. They have recommendations to the restaurants in the area, and are happy to share them. We loved the rooms, and the staff is professional and courteous. Great Place!!!

    5
    « Beautiful Property »

A very nice "mission styled" property on the central coast. Lobby area loaded with many interesting artifacts and pictures, with a western (cowboy) motif. Very nice new (redesigned) pool and giant hot tub. Property next to a creek, Fast food, two excellent restaurants, and two shopping areas within walking distance. Have stayed here many times. Highly recommended.

    3
« If you don't Expect Much, You won't Be Disappointed »

Make sure that you can cancel reservation when you book...it's not clear from the web site (as we found out when we tried to cancel a week before we were to go there). The breakfast is jammed into the narrowest part of the room so you have to wait until the person making waffles gets out of the way. If you don't like noise and expect a newspaper, this may not be the place for you (too much of one and nothing of the other).

    4
« good hotel and friendly staff »

Very good hotel and very friendly staff. Hotel has a very attractive spanish colonial architecture. Nice swimming pool and spa. 5 minutes from the beach. We enjoyed our stay. Good value Overall we had a great experience at Psmo Beach although the hotel is in nearby Arroyo Grance

    5
    « Very nice »

Very nice stay. Excellent pool and hot tub. The breakfast was very good--eggs, bacon, waffles, fruit, cereal, and yogurt. It's just a short drive into town and to the beach. There is a laundry area right next to the pool, so you can just throw your clothes in the wash and sit poolside til they're done.

    5
« A great time at the beach »

We had a great stay.Every time we come to Pismo, CA, we always stay here.Have never been disappointed yet.Great area close to shopping and dining. It is always clean and the people who work there great in handling any problems, if they come up

    « Nice Stay »

Stayed in a pet friendly room for a couple of nights. The room was a little on the small side but everything was in working order and fairly clean. The floors could use a good mopping. Pet relieve area was conveniently located in a couple of spots. Breakfast consisting of eggs, bacon, waffles, etc. was also included. Hotel was also just off Hwy 101 and close to shopping and restaurants. All in all a good stay.

    5
    « Excellent »

My stay was short but very satisfying. The staff was excellent, the breakfast was very well displayed and delicious. Plenty of parking. It was very nice that it is pet friendly. The price was reasonable and the location was great. I will definitely plan to stay there on my next visit.

« Great place to stay in AG »

Very reasonably priced with great breakfast & very convenient location in 5 cities + SLO area. Best lobby in area for its price class. Once "next door" Restaurant is operating again it will have everything you need.

« Good hotel to stay at »

Hotel is comfortable and so is the room and the bed and bedding. The breakfast is enough to fill you up. The location is great for where you want to go or eat. You can drive down to Solvang in 1 hr off the 101, plus go to the outlet mall, as well as shop at various locations off the 101 and near the hotel. TV and worked well, and there is a nice pool. Staff is friendly and helpful.

    « ChaChaChanges »

Two years ago our suite was great! However this time we stayed ina regular room. The management , both day and night were not in guest services. Meaning when we arrived the welcome cookies and coffee the lobby were no t present and when replenished were stale and lukewarm. The room lacked a pen at the night stand as well as the don't bother me door insert(the maid came three times to clean before we both showered). The room reeked of mildew since the exhaust fan worked only intermittently due to a faulty electrically issue. We were however referred to a great gourmet burger place at Shell Beach called Shelbys ( 10 minutes north of the hotel just off the freeway. And, just a plug for heading this way: the funky two day Whale Rock Festival held at Castors Vinewardd( 30 miles north of arroyo Grande and the outstanding smoked albacoretacos served at the Somehouse Shack (two plastic tables outside to sit and eat) right across from the seawall and pier in Cayvous(25 minutes north of Arroyo Grande off Highway 1.

    « Old meets new »

This hotel still maintains the Mission feel to it but was recently updated -- rooms and the elevators. Excellent price for what you get. Try to find a hotel that offers an in-room fridge, micro, coffee pot, and provides a no additional charge breakfast in the morn at this price-point!

    5
    « Upgrades were a pleasant surprise »

We have stayed at the Casa Grande the last 3 years when attending a conference. It's dated, charming and clean. We have never had an unpleasant experience with the rooms or the staff. The recent upgrades to the bathrooms and vanities were a nice surprise. We will stay there again next year.

    5
« Beautiful grounds and room »

We really enjoyed staying at this Best Western. The property was beautiful, the rooms comfortable and some even have balconies. Full breakfast buffet was offered overlooking the beautiful pool. It's close to vineyards in the area, along with the famous Jocko's Steak House for dinner in Nipomo. Also fairly close to Pismo Beach area.

« Great place for a visit and kind to the pocket-book »

On a recent vist to see my aging Dad he suggested this hotel as close by. I am not a fan of Best Western but I was only going to be there for 4 nights so how bad could it be? Well, in short it was GREAT. From the ousting it first dose not look like any other B/W I have seen. It has more of a resort look and feel. The front desk created me as a old friend and in fact once they heard why I was in town made a point of asking me each day how my father was feeling. The room was nice in size and all details. I took a room on the 2nd floor of there smaller buildings the other being 3 stores at the suggestion of the front desk. I also noted that they had a group of suites and one large grand suite that I may book next visit. Although the hotel is close to the 101 freeway I heard no traffic noise at all. It has a nice outside pool and spa as well as a men and woman's sauna. The complimentary breakfast looked nice even though I did not have time to try it. I will now make this my home base with each visit to my dads!!!

« Beautiful Hotel minutes from San Luis Obispo, Ca. »

Best Western hotel in Arroyo Grande is conveniently located off 101 hwy and is built in a old Spanish style motif. It is located about 10 minutes from San Luis Obispo where an old Spanish mission is in the center of town and near the University and Pismo Beach. The lobby is beautiful with Mexican Talavera pottery accents with wood and leather furniture. Rooms (2 queen beds and a Suite are two types we have stayed in) are spacious, meticulous, with very comfortable beds. Breakfast is included in the price of the room. Huge swimming pool with a waterfall and attached hot tub. You can relax in the hot tub while watching your kids take a swim. We stay there every time we get a chance!

Lovely room, spacious and clean. This hotel is a crown jewel of the area! Amazing decor, awesome staff, and unbelievably affordable! One of the best values for the central coast. Only 5 minutes from Pismo Beach!!

« Excellent staff and comfortable stay »

We stayed in Arroyo Grande at this hotel since we could not find a hotel closer to Cal Poly. The stay was comfortable and spacious rooms. The staff was superb. They were able to make changes from a king to 2 queen at the last minute without an additional charge. Location is very convenient as well. One complaint I have is about the saggy beds. I personally prefer firmer beds.

    « Outstanding Service »

The staff of this Inn did an exceptional job and making our stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible, especially considering we were in town for our pet to have surgery. Each person went out of their way to be both professional and kind. We will definitely return here.

« Great hotel, we enjoyed our stay! »

We arrived in town early and it was hot. We made a few stops in Pismo before decided to check out where the hotel was. Decided to go in see if there was a dog friendly room (there was one left) and the lady at the front desk said it was ready now. I was so happy as it was hours before check in time and we needed a place to rest. The room was nice and spacious and had hardwood floors which is nice when traveling with a dog. Got to hang at the pool with my son who loved the pool, especially the hot tub. The garden area was well maintained. Grover Beach is just a short drive from the hotel, and great for kids (just arrive early for parking). Breakfast was delicious..waffles, eggs, bacon, yogurt, bagels, pastries, toast, oatmeal, cereal, bananas, apples and oranges, orange and cranberry juice. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much and plan on returning!

    « Nice Place Overall! »

The hotel is nicely decorated and spacious. we had our dog with us and the accommodations were great. The pool is nice and there are plenty of places to sit outside and enjoy the surroundings. A very good place to stay with the family.

    « Amazing Style »

Loved the hotel structure and pool area the building was well taken care of and very clean. Checking in was easy as well as checking out. I've never had a problem with Best Western I've only been a member for a couple years and I'm pleased with everything so far.

« The Resort You Love To, Well, Not LIke »

The Casa Grande is not particularly special. The rooms are small, the bathrooms are smaller, and the furnishings and carpeting are dated and worn. If you have a pet, this might be your only choice, but if you're just really only people it does not represent good value for the price. The whole faux Spanish mission style just does not appeal to me. But I can see why hermits and monks might appreciate the room sizes and furnishings. That said, everyone in the five cities area jacks up their prices on the weekend. We have yet to find really good lodgings at a reasonable price in the area.

« Nice hotel but be careful »

Myself and my partner stayed at this hotel last week for one night. We chose this hotel due to its location as we were travelling from San Francisco to LA. The hotel itself was lovely and we enjoyed our stay. However when I arrived home I noticed that my credit card had been charged £111 ($142). I rang the hotel and was left on hold while they checked what had happened. Eventually I was told, rather unapologetically, that this had been charged by 'mistake.' I expressed my concern at how this sort of mistake had been made to which the lady replied 'human error.' She said that she would put the money back onto my card and after I expressed further concern she finally apologised. Considering the hotel had made the mistake I feel that I was spoken to quite rudely. I would just like to advise others to check your account after your stay so it doesn't happen to anyone else.

    « Charming hotel »

Stayed for one night. A charming hotel. The rooms are quite bigger than the regular sized hotel rooms (we were a big party so we booked 5 rooms). A better-priced option hotel if you want to stay overnight to Pismo beach. It's more or less a 10-minute drive from Pismo. The breakfast buffet was good, 2 hot breakfast options to chose from.

    « Rude and demeaning »

Property presented very impressive but young desk clerk to check in was the worst. Gave wrong directios. Promised to take care of something in room and didn't. Shower stall had peeling paint and was so dirty. At check out was told they had to Bill my credit card $300.00 even though they had deducted from our diamond rewards account unbelievably amount of points. I had to wait for my husband to get supervisor to fax to the rude desk clerk.after waiting for the fax, seeing it come in,was told she'll do it in AWHILE. Took two people to answer question off a phone call for several minutes.I was treated worse than any other hotel. Hospitality absent, enjoy the lobby murals

    « Beautiful Place »

The decor in the lobby was phenomenal, I would certainly advise people to go just to see that itself. There was a room located just next to the lobby that had a really nice Southwest and Cowboy style to it, almost like a mini-museum. The staff were very kind and professional, when I go back to California in that area I will certainly stay there again.

    5
    « Beautifully decorated. »

Beautifully decorated, Clean, clean, clean, exceptionally nice breakfast, friendly staff. Lobby full of paintings, artifacts & a Remington bronze. Very nice. Grounds nicely kept. I think the portico tiles were waxed(but not slippery).

    5
    « Great Hotel Experience »

Front Desk and Housekeeping were professional and very helpful with any questions we had. Very clean room with clean remote controls for the TV, carpet looked clean as well and employees were very polite. Although the complimentary breakfast was good , I would suggest extending the hours to 10am.

    5
    « Great Stay »

Loved this place. Very clean and nice looking. far away from the hustle and bustle, but not too far away. Breakfast was pretty good. Rooms were big and beds were comfortable. Great steak place nearby as well.

    « Our go-to hotel near Pismo »

We have stayed at this hotel for the last five years in August. They are always accommodating, the breakfast area is excellent and the coffee in the lobby twentyfour/seven and cookies at four o'clock p.m. are a very nice touch.

    5
    « Pleasant Stay »

I would recommend this hotel as it is conveniently located to Pismo Beach and surrounding area. Hotel facilities were great, staff very friendly and great variety of breakfast items. Free internet a real plus.

    3
« OK for one night »

Bed mattress was worn out, they really need replaced. Location is good, breakfast was good, except the eggs were made from powdered egg mix, not real eggs, so I passes on that after the first bite. This place has potential to be a great value if management would invest in some good mattresses.

    5
    « Always good »

This place just reeks charm and appeal. Has a cowboy, Spanish mission style which works well for us. We have stayed here several times over the years and always enjoyed the experience. The location is only a few minutes drive from the ocean. The hotel no longer has its own restaurant per se, but two blocks away is A.J Spurs - a great place to put on the feed bag, in a big way! The hotel breakfast, which is presented in two sites - is very good - especially the "make em yourself" waffles!

« Best Western Casa Grande Inn, Arroyo Grande, CA »

Excellent value hotel while vacationing in the Pismo Beach area. A short drive from the dunes at Pismo and downtown. The rustic Spanish architecture and terraced building layout offer extra privacy. The hotel is built completely within an inner court design with a pool surrounded by upgraded rooms with balconies overlooking the pool with small waterfall. The lobby is cute, the breakfast rooms are by the pool and above the check-in in a private room (see the tall tower in the photos, the top floor up a double set of stairs. The suite rooms overlooking the pool are spacious, a balcony overlooking the pool off the second bedroom. Near shopping and restaurants. Courteous staff, clean, easy access, affordable, one of the nicer hotels for a good price.

    5
« Great place to stay »

Everyone is very polite whether it be the front desk or the housekeepers. I stayed here twice with my family and both times we had a wonderful experience. The pool was refreshing. I would recommend this place to anyone traveling to Arroyo Grande.

« GREAT PLACE TO STAY »

It's a great hotel to stay in if you do not mind not being by the Ocean. The pillows are not great. The breakfast is good but not great. The pool is nice and the rooms are big. Pet friendly. The internet (wifi) did not connect well.

    4
    « a nice hotel »

I have stayed here several tines abd have always been really happy and I still am everything went very well MINOR gripe got there early and was told to come back in a hour or so came back in about in about 1 1/2 hours and was told room still not ready and check in is at 4:00 came back at 4:30 everything peachy my only minor issue will continue to stay there in the future because i really do like the place

    3
    « Poor Experience »

This Best Western was highly disappointing. Despite being dog friendly, there really was no area to walk the dogs. They also put us next to the pool, which is loud and can cause one of our dogs to bark, so we couldn't leave them even for a few minutes. The air conditioner was on way too low when we walked in, so we turned it up. But later, when we wanted to lower it, despite all of us trying to turn it down, it absolutely would not. So we spent the night way too hot. Additionally, the room felt dirty and the microwave was filthy; it looked like a pizza had exploded inside of it. This made us wonder what else had not been recently cleaned. Finally, we had a $30 gift card to use, and they did not know how to input it. So, they took off $30 after charging us tax, which if applied before tax would have lowered the tax as well. This was ridiculous, as theoretically we should have saved more and the staff should have known how to do it. My parents had been to this hotel four times before and really liked it, but they were severely disappointed this time and said that the quality of the facilities had gone way down. I would not stay at this hotel again, and my parents who were repeat customers will not either.

    « very nice place »

We were visiting friends in Pismo Beach. This hotel was very convenient to everything, yet very quiet and relaxing. Free breakfast was very good with a very friendly and helpful attendant. The entire staff at this hotel were very pleasant and knowledgeable about the area.

    3
    « Noisy »

Booked in advance & still got the ground floor "noisy" room facing the pool. Bummer. Super rushed check-in after I waited for the front desk clerk to return, and all the while had to smell another guest's cigarette smoke drift into the front lobby through the doors. Yuck.

    3
« Little Off The Beaten Path »

It was a comfortable stay, a little out of the way and away from everything. However due to our last minute reservation, it worked out. Not on the beach, but few minute drive and your there. Good eats just down the road as well.

    4
    « Very good »

Very nice place to stay. I will stay there again the next time I am in the area. Seemed very family friendly too. Coffee was nice & hot as well. Good way to start the morning off. Close to some good places to eat and shop.

    5
« All Around Best Place To Stay »

Great customer service, clean rooms & facilities, comfortable beds, good continental breakfast options. Good place to stay if looking for a place when visiting Pismo Beach or SLO. Very affordable & close to both cities.

    3
    « Price adjusted »

I stayed three nights with my pet while attending a dog training seminar. Good pet friendly hotel and room. Didn't have wifi at all during my stay. I reported the problem and the evening front desk employee was rudely unhelpful. Same issue with the tv. However, I reported the problem to the day manager when I checked out and she adjusted the price of the room. Tight parking. Hallways should be cleaner. Average breakfast.

« Great place to stay »

We have stayed at the Casa Grande for the last five or six years and have found it to be a great value considering all the amenities they offer. We really love the art work that is on display in the lobby.

    5
    « Ideal motel »

When you are out and about and need a comfortable place to stay, you can't beat the Casa Grande. We always stay there when we visit the Pismo Beach area a ferw times each year for wine tasting in Arroyo Grande. It's not fancy, but is cleafly the best value and in an ideal location.

    5
« Great time at Pismo Beach »

The Best Western Resort is very clean and the staff are very nice. They can accommodate a trailer of quads and motorcycles in the parking lot.It really feels like a resort stay. I would recommend this hotel more than any other.

    5
    « thank you »

ez off the freeway location good service and close to pismo , morro bay , not too crowded and enough parking ( very important in this part of California) it's your average hotel with legit breakfast and clean rooms

    2
« Good accommodations, nice staff. »

We stayed for 3 nights in a roomy comfortable room but I left with some kind of bites (fleas, spider?) all over my body. Maybe because it's so dog friendly? But really I love dogs and pets. Other than that a fairly decent experience.

    4
    « great stopping place »

Convenient to find from freeway, quiet, clean, nicely appointed rooms, comfortable beds. Very welcoming staff. Grounds are beautiful - great landscaping. Breakfast room quite small for hotel this size, and not many choices of food, but coffee great. We would definitely return when in this area again

    « Very nice! »

We stayed at this hotel the weekend of the Cal Poly San Luis Obispo College Graduation. This was the first time we brought our two small dogs to a hotel ever, so I was a bit nervous on how they would do. I LOVED that our room was tucked back into a back corner (Room 109) and it had wood floors instead of carpet. YAY! No smells! Nice grassy dog area to do their business with handy pickup trash bags available. I really prefer hotels where you can park right outside your room. Reminds me of the good old days. Check in was friendly and helpful. Microwave, refrigerator, Iron/Ironing Board and Hair Dryer. Everything we needed. All in all, we had a great stay. Would definitely stay here again.

    5

This is a wonderful place to stay on a trip along the coast. The have great rooms with clean comfortable beds and furniture. The location is near all the fun places yet just far enough out of the crowds. You can get a calm relaxing evening after a fun filled day.

Great hotel in a wonderful location 9 minutes from the beach! Staff was wonderful and the breakfast was a plus! Rooms are extremely clean and hve everything you need. We're so lucky to have found this hotel. Would definitely stay again!

« beautiful!!!love the design! close to Avila Beach and SLO! »

We came up just for a few nights-- my husband, 3 year old daughter, and I. I loved it! The design in the lobby is soooooo cute--- very southwestern--- reminds me of old school Disney Epcot (Mexico)- The staff was very friendly and offered cookies and milk to my daughter. Room was spacious and quiet. Breakfast was free- crowded- but lots of yummy choices including waffles, pasteries, and cereals... Pool was warm and fun- my daughter had a blast--- she loved the fountain! And the jacuzzi was nice and warm. Would definitely stay here again when in the area.. Nicer than any of the old beach motels!

    4
    « Great Suite for a Family »

We loved the configuration of this hotel suite, it had a King and a sofa bed in the larger room as well as a small fridge, micro and sink. The private second room had a Queen bed with it's own closet and TV. The only downside was the mattress on the sofa bed but unfortunately you don't often get one of those that's comfortable!

    5
    « Mini Vacation »

I really like this Hotel. My family and I have stayed at this Best Western Hotel twice. Any time I go to visit there, I plan on staying there. It is a beautiful Hotel, with a relaxed setting. Great service, and rooms. I always sleep soundly in the comfortable beds. Staff is very helpful and friendly. We all had a great time.

    3
« Nice staff but old and musty place »

Hotel appears nice from the outside. Inside has nice themed decor(old Mexico), but overall appears musty and aging. The price per night was over $200, which was too much for these old musty rooms. The hotel is not in sight of the beach, so I thought it was too expensive. Could have been fresher and cleaner too.

    5
    « Nice little getaway. »

My husband and I live right around the corner from Casa Grande Inn, and were forced to leave our home and stay at a hotel because of a sticky situation - (BEES IN OUR CHIMNEY!) - and boy am I glad I chose this place! We were able to bring our dogs as they are pet friendly which is the main reason we booked here to begin with. Staff is amazingly friendly and accommodating, rooms are extremely reasonably priced, there are amenities such as a mini fridge and microwave in the room, and a complimentary breakfast each morning. Even with a stressful situation unfolding at home, Casa Grande Inn has made our hotel stay the least stressful part. Also, heated pool and spa! Heck yeah!

    5
    « A Pleasant Night »

This facility is by far one of the nicer ones in Best Western Hotel/Motels. It has a pool and hot tub, although because of our schedule and the weather, we were not able to take advantage of it. I noticed a 'bride-to-be' as we arrived, so this location is used not just for travelers. The other guests were courteous as we did not hear any noise from their celebrations. Be sure to check out the free cookies when you arrive. A nice touch!

« You are going to like this place. »

This is a very comfortable place to stay when visiting the California Central Coast. Unlike many lodging choices in the Pismo Beach area, it is not loud, messy and overpriced. It is a good value, a clean and well kept property, and the mission architecture gives it the feel of an old inn that may have been here a hundred years ago. There are plenty of good restaurants nearby, and the property is far enough off the freeway to eliminate any traffic noise. Breakfast is included, but unless you are not particular about what you eat, it is not anything special. The coffee is good, though. We had absolutely no complaints.

« Memorial Day weekend stay! »

I searched this hotel after a horrible experience at another Best Western in Morro Bay. I had to travel more than 40 min to get another Best Western in hopes that this one will have better costumer service. At the morro bay location there was no one at the reception desk. We waited for a few min but no one came out. We had to knock on the table for someone to come out. Which she did then she was can I help you with anything I said yes I will like to check in. Mind you it was about 12 noon. Yes it's way early to check in . I don't expect to be given a room at this time but what threw me off what's that she didn't not even ask who I was, if I am a member she didn't even ask for any of my details and she simply said no we have no rooms available at this moment. I asked again if there any chance that I am able to to and early check in. Again she said no. The issue here then becomes something else. I have the receptionist a second chance together my info and she never even bother collect my details. As a diamond member of Best Western I think I should of gotten a little bit more of costumer service. This wount make me change how I view this hotel in general. I love staying a Best Western. If I were someone else I would of it proceeded to spend another 200$ to stay at another location at best western that same day.

« Great Location, All you need »

We booked this place direct through the website, used the AAA rate. Really, it had all we needed. The hotel itself is very cute. The room had all we needed but the bathroom was small. Like small small. Like, my boyfriend who is 6'2 didn't close the door at all because it was a tiny space. We were only there for one night so it worked out. Also, they mixed up the floor mats and the towels so we got 1 towel and 3 floor mats folded up. Breakfast was OK, it was sustenance. They did a good job of keeping it coming with the crowds. The breakfast area got cramped at the end but over all, it suited what we needed and was close to Pismo. Can't beat free parking and free breakfast. Staff all super nice.

    « Excellent Location »

On this trip we rode down on our motorcycle with our club. We were very comfortable and happy with all the amenities at this location. Rooms clean, free wifi, and quiet. The grounds are beautiful, nice pool and jacuzzi. We took advantage of the complemnetary breakfasts of course. Nothing fancy but enough to keep you going until lunch. Cereals, waffles, eggs, bacon, toast, bagels, muffins, yogurt, and fruit. Juices, milk, and coffee. There are a couple of little courtyard areas perfect for hanging out with friends. The staff was very friendly and informative. Check out the Western artwork in the lobby! If you need anything there is a Kmart just across the bridge within walking distance or a Walmart up the hill. Our group walked to Walmart. The location is excellent. Just minutes away from Morro beach, Avila, Beach, Pismo Beach, Grover Beach, and the dunes. Just up the road is Santa Maria and Solvang. Oh, and don't forget to check out a show at the Great American Melodrama Theatre in Oceano. I will stay here again.

« Fantastic friendly staff in a spotlessly clean hotel. »

Although the hotel is not located directly on the coast, it has such a great atmosphere about it that it is well worth sacrificing that to enjoy a stay here. The reception was excellent with a great Spanish/Mexican aura. The room was excellent, although we never had time to make use of the pool and hot tub, I wish we had chosen this hotel for the previous night as it offers very good value for money.

« You get your monies worth at this Best Western in Arroyo Grande »

When we go to see the family in Arroyo Grande, without a second thought we book into the Best Western Plus Royal Oak Hotel and look forward to spending time at this resort looking hotel. The front desk are always cordial and if you are there around 5:00 pm, they will invite you to coffee and hot out of the oven cookies. Their rooms are large and inviting and almost make you want to just stay and relax, but the pool and spa and the grounds invite you to come and look around. The next morning you get a wonderful breakfast and great smile from the hostess as you sit and talk with fellow travelers. If you are going north up the 101, and you see Arroyo Grande, think about getting off on Oak and dropping by for a great experience.

« NEAR TO EVERYTHING IN PISMO »

The room was nice but had the sinks in the room instead of the bathroom. I did not care for that. It had a pool, spa and breakfast that was more complete then other Best Western Hotels I had stayed at. The one problem was we were on the third floor right across from the elevator and the ash tray for cigarettes is right there and the smokers gathered there and talked. Not Good. Request a room away from the ash trays.

« Room updates are on point! »

I have been staying here for several years when traveling for business in this area, the recent updates to the rooms are great. The look and feel is new yet still captures the Americana vibe. My favorite rooms are the ones upstairs above the lobby because of the interior corridor. These rooms have 2 sink areas, mini fridge and microwaves. This hotel is a good value on many levels.

« i really liked this hotel, it was more than I expected »

I really liked this hotel, the price was reasonable, the lobby was really nice, the room was all that you would want it to be and the breakfast was really good. I only stayed one night and was going along the coast but it was in a very nice part of California and I would highly recommend this place to stay. I did not take advantage of it but they had a really nice well maintained pool as well.

OH MY GOD WHERE DID THEY GET THE WALLPAPER BORDER OF COWBOYS FROM???? I LOVE this place! Pity we were moving on or I would have ended up looking and walking/talking like John Wayne after a few nights here, you get the definite Western feel from this hotel. spacious, clean and free continental breakfast. Saddles all over the place and helpful staff, love it as it really isnt like most other roadside hotels. A big thumbs up from me, pity the pool was out of service when we were there but other wise it was great!

This is a very nice hotel, comfortable beds, clean, good service, ok breakfast, terrible pillows... Convenient location just off the 101 Fwy. Restaurant adjacent is no longer in business. Lobby area is very charming and great decor. Room was spacious and clean. « "One night stop off" »

Unfortunately because we arrived 1/2 hr early our room hadn't been cleaned when we went in, our fault for being early apparently. Once sorted we were happy, the room was of good size, pool was nice and garden area was peaceful. Reception was lovely, staff were welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was good however it got very busy, we found out after that they had a nicer area set up in the main hotel. We felt that the hotel was suitable for the one night we stayed but wouldn't have wanted to stay longer, not much around.

    « Disappointing stay »

We stayed at the hotel last Thursday night and left Friday morning. My husband was ill and running a fever and we were in a hurry to get him to an appointment at a clinic. We accidentally left his brand new, $200 jacket in the closet. We realized in the afternoon that the jacket was missing when we went to checkin to our next hotel. I immediately called the hotel. They told us to check back the next day. I have since called everyday. They have not put us in touch with the housekeeping staff and have not checked the room. I was very disappointed by the lack of concern shown by the hotel staff. The loss of the jacket ruined the last few days of our vacation.

« Return after many years... »

It was ~10 years since my last stay, when I was a regular guest (on business). The same staff that was there then remembered me! Still a nice facility. Wed-Fri stay during the week before Easter was busy, but acceptable. A little on the pricey side...

    « Very comfortable »

Warmly welcomed by a lovely gentleman on check-in, who pointed out tea, coffee, hot chocolate and cookies served from 4pm in the lobby. Large room on the second floor - no elevator - a little dark and dated looking, however, very comfortable with two bedrooms, a bathroom with huge double width shower and loo. Out in the main bedroom was a vast vanity unit with two basins, and a run of kitchen units with fridge, microwave and sink. Excellent facilities. Relatively quite - a little traffic noise during the night but nothing too disturbing. Breakfast was busy at 8.30am and it was a case of if you left your seat to grab another item of breakfast, it would be gone to someone else on your return! Plentiful choice of breakfast items with scrambled egg, sausage, yoghurts, bagels, pancakes. Pleasant hotel which served its purpose for our brief overnight stop.

« Best Pet Hotel in the area »

This Best Western was a pleasure to stay at with our dog. The rooms were clean and the services for both people and pets were first rate. It was a much better experience than the Motel 6. Worth the extra money. The location is perfect being right off highway 101. We spent most of our time in San Luis Obispo, but it was only a 15 minute drive into downtown.

    5
    « Friendly, Very Clean, & Quiet »

We stayed here based on our grandson's recommendation as the best place to stay in Arroyo Grande - he was right! We have stayed at other locales in the area, and this is the nicest one we have experienced. They have recently remodeled and refreshed the complex which says a lot about the level of care the management has for this facility. We were warmly greeted at check in, and provided hot coffee and fresh cookies. There was ample parking for our van, with good lighting for security. The room was very clean and fresh, and the bed was comfortable - no "holes" in the mattress. Breakfast in the common area was good and well stocked. We will most definitely stay here again when we visit our grandsons.

    « Loved it.... »

A very clean, well-maintained hotel. We needed to find a place to stay and found this was on our way. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. We were very impressed with the breakfast the next morning - that held us over for our remaining trip home.

Nice ambiance. Very good staff. Easy access to coast.. Very good breakfast included. Decor is relaxed but well done. I like everything about this hotel. Would recommend to friends and family in a heartbeat,.

« Well worth the stay »

Very beautifully landscaped, clean hotel, in a convenient location. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Room had all the conveniences and had much more space than a typical 2-queen room. Very impressed. Will definitely recommend this hotel and will stay here again.

    « Enjoyable weekend getaway »

We really enjoyed our two room suite at the BW Casa Grande Inn. It was affordable and clean. It was really great having a separate room with a door where the kids could hang out and watch tv together after a long day at the beach. The parking at night was a little difficult on a busy night, but there was always room in the morning!

    « OK for a layover. »

My daughter and I stopped here to break up a trip from Big Sur to Orange County. The room was large; the bed was comfortable. There were not enough blankets and we had to request more. The heater settings were confusing. The housekeeping was slipshod. Lampshades were askew; bed skirts were off center, giving an impression of indifference. The free breakfast was standard with little imagination. The breakfast room did not have enough seating. The Casa Grande was my first choice after a fondly remembered earlier visit. It is not now.

« We stayed here because it was dog-friendly »

We had googled the property and saw that it had an very nice dog walking area out back. We were unable to reserve one of the rooms near it because those rooms did not allow dogs. The desk clerk was helpful in showing us how to get to the area via an elevator so we were OK getting our disabled dog out to the area. The employees here do a very good job, the groundskeepers, maids, and woman in charge of the breakfast were terrific. Our room was just OK. It did have a slight smell from having been a smoking room up until a year ago but it wasn't awful. We may or may not stay here again. We spent some time investigating other dog friendly properties in the area.

« Excellent Place to Stay »

We have stayed at this hotel many times and have always been well pleased. It is clean, well decorated, and pleasant staff. Convenient right off the 101. We have never had an issue on any of of stays but, the particular room we stayed in this last time happened to be right at the staircase and it was very noisy as guests came and went. On future visits we would be sure not to get that room. Other than that this is a wonderful place to stay.

    « Mrs. »

For my birthday, my family and I decided to go visit a city near the ocean. We found the best, beautiful hotel near Pismo Beach at Arroyo Grande. I had the most wonderful time celebrating my birthday with my family and accommodating hosts. Thank you staff of the Best Western Casa Grande Inn. You made my day brighter....

    « Excellent hotel stay »

Great hotel experience with quality rooms, staff, pool, and breakfast! Close to the beach, resorts, and local restaurants in the area. The staff is attentive and very courteous every time I've stayed at BW Casa Grande!

    « Nice Stay »

Not bad. Old but clean. Needs some remodeling but clean and quiet. Rooms are a little small and should be updated. Bathrooms need some tender loving care. The person who checked us in was very nice and the breakfast was good.

    « Great place! »

Spent overnight at this great place. It was not like the newest place, but it was clean, and staff was very, very nice. Now that we have found this place, I would definitely go back. So close to Pismo!

    « Location, location »

Good jump off point for central coast. Short drive to some excellent restaurants (Jockos, AJ Spurs, McClintocks, et.al.) and wineries. Shopping within walking distance. Beach fun at the dunes or Pismo. Golf is a short drive. You can stay at the hotel for the heated pool and spa or go dancing in Pismo or San Louis. The hotel is an easy on and off the highway. Has become more popular since we began staying there 15 years ago.

« You don't want to get out of the beds »

This is an awesome place to stay. We have a favorite room, inside, upstairs last room om the left. Quite, peaceful and the bed is so comfy, you don't want to get up. Staff is very friendly and it's clean.

« Great Central Coast Hotel at a reasonable price »

we recently stayed at the Casa Grande, and really enjoyed the visit. Grounds are very pretty -> spanish look with nice landscaping. Rooms are recently renovated. we had a suite with sitting room that was spacious and comfortable. Great Location for exploring the coast. Arroyo Grande and Grover Beach are nice places, and you're minutes from Pismo and Avila Beach

« stay in the hotel »

The front desk person was not there during the check in. he came and checked as in and did not give the key cards and went away. we called him again . he gave us the keys . i reserved 2 separate rooms. the first one was the right key, the second key was wrong and did not open the room. this room was in front of the elevator and all night long you can hear '' going up'' , ''going down''

    4
    « Satisfied For The 2nd Time! »

This is a quite hotel just a bit up the hill and far enough from the busy main streets and strip mall action that you won't hear any noise. Compare that to the Hampton Inn (another brand I often stay at) which is right on the busy street. This property is a well-maintained Spanish Mediterranean style. I took the King room overlooking the swimming pool on the top floor. The room is very big and has a separate sitting area where the kitchenette is and a second television. This is where we set up the 'baby room' and it all worked out great!

    1
« Unable to shower or bathe »

Handle for shower was missing and stopper for tub was broken. for almost $200 per night this was very unacceptable. we asked for another room and was told there were any vacancies, yet I was able to secure another reservation on online.

« Tranquility at Pismo Beach »

Beautiful landscaping & comfortable rooms at the hotel. Staff was polite, and helpful. We only spent one night, wish it was longer. The pool area was nice. You can see they were fixing the hotel. Cannot wait to see it finished.

    « Nice place! »

My wife and I researched housing in this area and used your motel as a base for phone and internet communications. We especially liked the location for easy driving and entertainment options. We will use this BW again in October when we return to complete real estate negotiations. I also like accruing guest reward points for all travel options. D Marshall

« Happy in Arroyo Grande »

It is close to golf courses and great restaurants that we enjoy. So close to the highway with easy access in both directions. Staff was very nice. Breakfast in the am was more than I hoped for. Able to fill the need for that meal right there.

« Very attractive property along the coast »

The property is very nice with a pleasant pool, decent breakfast, not far from good restaurants and a short drive to the beach. The rooms are clean and comfortable with a fridge and adequate work space.

    « Convenient overnighter »

We landed in LA the day we checked in and found this place a convenient location for our first stop on HW1 on our way towards San Francisco. The room was rather large with a good sized shower/bath combo, the beds were comfortable and the room itself was clean and easy to access. There was a walmart just up the road for our road trip necessities. We ventured to Pismo beach for world famous clam chowder and a walk along the pier which is only 10 mins up the road. The breakfast was ok but not great and this was our first taste of American coffee. If you can call it that??. Over all its a good spot though and would stay again.

« Arroyo Grande Best Western »

We selected the hotel because of it's location and we have stayed at some nice Best Westerns. The staff at this best western was pleasant, helpful, and polite; The property however was tired and in desperate need of updating. The property looks worn as do the rooms. The bathrooms were old and some mold- clearly needed to be replaced. The beds were ok but about 3 years past their replacement date - old and somewhat lumpy.

    4
    « Nice accommodations »

The hotel was clean and our room was large. It was nice to be able to do laundry while there. It was close to Pismo Beach. The front desk provided some quick instructions and a map of the area so Pismo Beach was easy to find. Breakfast was what you would expect for this type of hotel. We follow a vegan diet so our choices were limited, but we expected that. A sign did say they had gluten free items and non-dairy milk available. We had showed up for breakfast with our carton of almond milk, so we didn't inquire about the non-dairy option. There were slivered almonds, raisins and granola for oatmeal toppings, which was a nice treat. We had to ask for peanut butter for our toast and we were each given a single-serving package out of a drawer, as it wasn't sitting out with the jams.

    4
    « A pleasant surprise! »

We were on our way back from San Francisco to catch our plane from LA the next day and chose this hotel more for its proximity than anything else. But it turned out to be one of the nicest hotels we stayed at. The rooms were large, clean and well appointed with a big bathroom. The free cookies and tea and coffee in the foyer were an unexpected bonus and the staff were lovely. Breakfast was included and there was a good choice. It also turned out to be ideally located to nearby outlet malls and stores for some last minute shopping. Not the cheapest hotel but a nice way to end our trip.

    « Nicw Stay »

This Hotel was very good except the breakfast area was a little hard to access the food. The room is tight when filled. The room was clean and in very good condition. Location was in a quiet area an close to ocean.

« Comfortable, great price, but needs upgrages »

Great prices overall, especially for location. However, hotel needs bathroom, carpet and bed upgrades. Ease of check-in and pleased with amenities. Great for a quick stay and not planning on staying in room for a lengthy period of time.

    « One night stay »

    « Hacienda style »

As intermediate step between San Francisco and Los Angeles, we spend 2 nights here. It looks like a hacienda, but tends more to a motel like hotel. Some might consider it outdated, others call it cosy. Helpful personnel.

    « great place for a night »

Good spot along the way for a stop Location is great, close to Wallmart and Trader Joe. close the Main Street and highway..arroyo is a nice place on the coast and 1 hour from Santa Barbara. Loved the country style of the house

    « Excellent! »

I would highly recommend Best Western Casa Grande Inn to everyone. Beautiful place and grounds with excellent attentive staff. I was always greeted with a smile and hello. The breakfasts were excellent and I so appreciated the high speed (free) internet. Like paradise!

    « Old »

Beautiful buildings but old and slightly musty rooms. Check in was unfriendly. Bed was softer than I liked. We had corner 2br suite that was spacious and reasonably priced but I'm not sure I'd stay here again. Nice pool and hot tub. Hot tub was foamy though and there were not enough pool towels. Someone stole mine ?? Breakfast was usual free crap

    « Location, Location, Location »

Arroyo Grande and Pismo are gorgeous! Favorites of mine and we had accumulated enough Best Western points to get a free room here. The only hotel in the five citys that would honor our points in summer peak season. A big bonus considering its a 300 bucks a room place. I should say, they charge that much. The room was not worth that. Kinda old and outdated and badly in need of a modernization, with no extra towels or soap, not even a phone book, which we though was weird. Maybe someone stole it. Now, Im not saying it was bad, Not at all. Just not a 300 dollar a night room. That said the hotel and grounds are spectacular! The lobby is extravagantly beautiful, and the pool is awesome. And Breakfast was very good! The check in staff here was fantastic! We had booked trough headquarters and the wrong date was booked. The hotel was near sold out and a great effort was made to ensure we would still be able to stay. I was VERY impressed with the staff. I feel the most impressive charity is done when one thinks no one is watching, and I equate the staff here, just about bending over backward to, essentially give us a free room. They in fact, turned away potential paying customers to accommodate Best Western Rewards members.Top notch!

    « HORRIBLE!!! »

Had to find a local hotel because we were having work done in our house. This hotel was close and a better price than others in the area -- I realize it is high price summer rates but it was ridiculous what this place charges! It had dirty, stained carpeting, molding shower doors, poor quality linens, air conditioning and bathroom fan EXTREMELY LOUD! UGH!!! I didn't even bother taking a shower it was so bad! Plus the rooms -- bathroom in particular is SO cramped!!! It's really sad because from the outside and the hotel lobby you would think it would be a nice place! Desperately needs renovating! Would NOT recommend! WAY overpriced!

    « Beautiful Little Retreat »

This place was a nice get away. They had a beautiful courtyard with a walkway surrounded by flowers. The running water fountains added a nice ambiance. The rooms were nice, a little worn, but very clean. They had a nice free breakfast. Cereal, fruit, eggs, bacon, and waffles. The staff in the breakfast room were attentive and friendly. The hotel is close to the shopping outlets and all the fun in Pismo. We are definitely going back!!

    4
« Good for the Price »

They have good prices and staff at this location and I will most likely stay there again when in the area. However if you have allergies to animals there was need for allergy meds for our son and an more then we are used to needing when so close to the ocean. I think it is great they let people stay with pets because they are part of a family but think they should set aside rooms that do not allow pets for those that have allergies and breathing problems.

    4
    « Very beautiful »

Expensive but very beautiful hotel with great service. Bed was not the most comfortable and shower left some to be desired, but clean, with helpful staff. Would consider staying there again but given nature of the trip might look for a less expensive option.

    4
« Conveniently located, friendly staff »

This BW is conveniently located right off the 101. We had a double family room which consisted of a large living space with king bed and pull out sofa sleeper, a separate bedroom with a queen bed, and the bath. Bathroom had only a shower which was kind of a bummer with the kids. Our room comfortably accommodated 4 adults and 3 children ages 1, 1, and 4. The staff provided two pack & plays for the little ones. Living space had mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker and sink. Not bad. A couple things we didn't really like was that the sofa sleeper was very very old and uncomfortable. Fortunately though, it was good enough for the 4 year old but i really can't see how a teenager or adult could sleep on it. Also, the wi-fi is awful. You are better off using your own data. We couldn't even play games on our phones and I wouldn't even bother trying to stream any movies or shows off of Netflix or YouTube. BW definitely needs to upgrade this feature. Shower was large with bench seating, a plus. Continental breakfast was about what you'd expect although more fresh fruit would be nice. "Cookie hour" in the lobby from 4-6 is another nice touch. All staff interactions were friendly and the housekeepers did a good job servicing the room. The price point was competitive with other hotels in the area (a bit pricey), but with the breakfast, fridge and microwave, we felt it was a good deal. The pool looked nice but we didn't use it. Overall, a nice place at a fair price. I would definitely recommend to others.

    « unclean and unsanitary »

carpet was filthy and our bare feet were black. there were stains all over. linens were stained and had holes. room had odor and toilet repeatedly clogged. there was no tv channel list and only one children's station with one or two programs per day. no "do not disturb sign" and no laundry bags and insufficient towels for number of people staying there.

« Interesting place with some character! »

I recently stayed here for 2 nights while traveling for work. The lobby of the hotel is very nice and not your typical chain hotel. I had one of the 5 rooms that are upstairs in the lobby area. There is no elevator so you must go up and down the stairs. I liked the room location because there were only 5 rooms here so it was very mellow and quiet. I never saw another guest in the hallway or stairs. The room was up against the road but it didn't bother me because the a/c drowned out any road noise. The room was larger than average. It was old but it appeared to have been renovated recently. The carpet seemed clean and new. The room itself seemed clean! The bed was comfortable and the linens and pillows were very clean and fresh. The room had 2 bathroom sinks which was a nice upgrade. The people working at the front desk were friendly and always said 'hello' every time we came and went. I could see some people not liking the location of the room because of the steep staircase, but it didn't bother me. The pool was loud and filled with kids/families every time we walked by going to the car. The cookies and coffee in the lobby was a nice touch. Great location... very close to Pismo Beach which is just a few miles away. My biggest complaint was the absolutely horrible water pressure in the shower. Probably one of the worst showers ever. It was impossible to take a quick shower because there was so little water. It was so bad that I would probably stay somewhere else to not have to deal with the lack of water pressure and that is pretty sad because I did like the rest of the experience here.

    5
« Really nice experience at this hotel! »

We were very happy with this hotel. Our room was nice - king size bed, couch, desk area, coffee table, frig, microwave, & mini coffee maker. Staff were very friendly and accomodating. Loved the free continental breakfast in the morning with lots of choices - eggs, bacon, waffles, bagels, muffins, cereal, toast, fruit, yogurt. There's free coffee/hot tea all day in the lobby and they have cookies from 2-4.

    « Beautiful Hotel »

My family and I stayed at this hotel for one night on our way up to San Francisco. We arrived late and left early the next day, but we really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is modeled after a Spanish hacienda and is beautifully decorated!! Our room was clean and comfortable, with adjustable A/C and a nice TV. Wi-fi is free and fast. The only complaint I have about the room is the low water pressure in the shower, but this was a minor issue. Although we didn't use it, the pool and hot tub looked clean and fun. The continental breakfast in the morning was delicious and offered several options, including eggs, bacon, waffles, breads, and coffee (and much more). The price we paid was reasonable (I booked through Hotels.com) and our stay was very comfortable. The hotel is located in between Grover and Pismo beaches, and is close to several restaurants and tourist attractions, including the Pismo pier. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, from a quick 1-night stay, to a longer period of time!!

    5
« Old but very nice »

This is a great place to stay. Away from the busy part of beaches, yet close. We stay here every year while visiting friends at Pismo Coast Village. Golf is close. Cookies at 4 are a nice touch. Coffee always out and breakfast has a HUGE variety to choose from.

    3
« Pet friendly kennel hotel »

Although the hotel is pet friendly, the hotel will charge you a $20 fee to put you in a room that has not been remodeled and smells like a kennel. We let the hotel staff know--via a call--that we where traveling with a small dog. Upon checkin, they wanted me to sign an acknowledgement there would be a $200 fine if I smoked in the room or had an animal in the room. The exterior of the hotel is appealing and I'm sure the remodeled rooms are nicer.

    5
    « Relaxing »

My experience with the hotel and the room were pleasant I enjoyed the pool and hot tub. It was sometimes busy in the breakfast room, but the breakfast was good. The room I stayed in was clean and nice. The front office people were nice, friendly and helpful, and it was convenient for me.

    5
    « A perfect location »

We have stayed at this motel several times in the past few years and have enjoyed it each time. It is located in the middle of all the fun things to do in that area. Pismo Beach, Morrow Bay Avalia Beach all within a short drive. Arroyo Grande itself has improved its downtown area to include many nice wine tasting places, coffee houses and great eating establishments. If you are going to visit that area don't forget the Casa Grande Inn.

    5
    « Awesome »

One of the best BW in which I have ever stayed. Very well kept. Very clean rooms and surroundings. Breakfast was OK. Could have been better but it's better than nothing. Parking is small. It gets pretty crowded. Anyways, We loved it. Our only regret was not having more time to spend in this area and this hotel.

    4
    « overall had a good stay »

The hotel had a very good breakfast selection, with many food choices to choose from. The desk service people were very helpful and nice they went out of there way to be nice and helpful. The location was in a good area next to some nice restaurant.

    « Relocation Exploration »

This is the 2nd time we have stayed in this BW. Our room appeared to be one of the recently updated and very comfortable. We travel with our Dog and so we have to take whatever dog friendly room that is available and always is just as good as any other. We had a problem with the Shower and received a discount as a result, we were surprised and grateful. This hotel is in a great location for restaurants and access to Pismo or Grover Beach. If you want to swim, they have a great pool and spa for your enjoyment.

    5
« great place to stay »

« A really neat place tp stay »

It had a been awhile since the last time we stayed ( a couple of years ago) since then it has only got better, new pool , new jacuzzi and a second breakfast bar added, we were able to extend our stay on day on very short notice which made life a whole lot easier we had a second floor room overlooking the pool whiich made a very relaxing enviroment would highly recommend staying there again

    4
« Good price, good value »

The grounds are so pretty and the location is just great for roaming around that area. Only stayed there one night this time but the room was nicely furnished. We asked for the ground floor and they accommodated us easily. My sister had the room next door, again very accommodating. The breakfast was typical hotel but we enjoyed it.

« Large room, heated pool »

Stayed here on a Saturday night with family. I booked the room through Expedia about a week in advance and it was pretty pricey. We were in an ADA room that had a separate sitting room and a balcony overlooking the pool that had a table and chairs. The room had a fridge, microwave, and sofa bed which was pretty worn on the outside and uncomfortable to sleep on. The bed was fine and the room was clean. There was only a shower. Free parking, wifi, and breakfast. There were 2 breakfast rooms. We got there a little after 9 AM and got a table. They had eggs and bacon which were not that good. You could make your own waffles though, and they had cereal, muffins, bagels, yogurt, juice, and coffee. The pool was heated and they had a good size hot tub. Easy access to the 101 and Grover Beach was a 10 minute drive away. Stores and restaurants nearby. Recommend to book in advance, mid-week, and/or off season for more reasonable rates.

    5
    « Great Experience »

We felt the first room had a bed that was too hard for our needs. Staff quickly moved us to another room. Room was very clean and comfortable. Staff very attentive to our needs throughout our stay. Property is well-maintained. Highly recommend this hotel.

    4
    « Great family hotel »

The decor is a little dated, but other than that the room size and amenities are great for groups or families. The breakfast was great with many options. Hotel room was clean. Overall, we had a very good experience.

    « Very nice place. »

We stayed there in June for one night. Close to Grover Beach. The hotel is very nice with a spanish look. Front desk clerk was very nice. Room was very nice with plenty of room. Room only had a shower, no tub, which was fine. Swimming pool and hot tub were very nice. Located near lots of good restaurants.

    5
« Very accommodating and affordable »

We arrived late and left early. The room was very well equipped, comfortable and clean. The grounds were very nice and well kept, beckoning a walk. The breakfast room was busy and for good reason. Our only regret is that we wish we would have planned on staying here for more than one night just to get some R&R. Maybe another time..

    3
    « Old but Clean »

Outside has curb appeal and lobby has good southwest theme. Renovated pool. Rooms are old and in need of updating, however they are clean! Breakfast appearance is impressive however food quality wasn't.

    « great value »

nice property, clean room, good bed, great breakfast in small room, we encountered a couple of issues which were all resolved quickly and with no hassle, easy freeway access and close to Trader Joe's and food

    4
« Good quality for a good price »

This hotel is just off the 101, but it is far enough away from the freeway, there is no noise. It is beautiful. It has a mission look and feel. It's in the town of Arroyo Grande, but it is a few blocks from Grover Beach, which is practically Pismo Beach. It's close to everything...shopping, restaurants, the beach. I had business at the San Luis Obispo Airport and SLO hotels were much more expensive. This hotel was only a 15 min drive away to the airport.

« Not your usual Best Western... »

...this place is unique. The room was really big and had a separate bedroom. There were two breakfast areas and a nice pool that you could sit by. Coffee, tea, and water in the Lobby at all times. Plus they put out cookies in the afternoon. Nice touches that gives this place a feel that someone has pride of ownership.

Easy check in with nice staff, fresh hot coffee in lobby. We were in room 206. Room was small but clean, no frills, bed was comfy. It was fine for our one night. I would try and book the BW closer to the ocean next time.

« Expected as per price »

Looks good from the outside. Room is pretty average though. You get what you pay for. Has a pool but didn't get time to use it. Also, was full of children. Parking can be a concern specially if you arrive late at night. :)

    « Better than Expected »

Better than I expected for a 3-star property. Check-in gentleman was super accommodating, informative, and funny. Nice big lobby with waters, coffee, cookies in the evening. Room was clean, the AC worked quickly, refridge, ice machines close by. All was very, very nice. For one of the lower priced hotels in the area, this one was delightful. We were there for a wedding fairly close-by, all worked well.

    « surprising hotel gem »

My husband and I booked via TripAdvisor and were very pleasantly surprised when we arrived. This BW had the feel of a western/Mexican theme. The bed was really comfortable, the room very clean, quiet, breakfast was good. It was also just off the highway so easy to find. There was an excellent restaurant that we walked to that the hotel staff had recommended. We were going to the Pismo Beach car show-which was only a 10 min drive away so very convenient too. We highly recommend this hotel and would return ourselves.

My great grandson just loved the clean pool and I enjoyed the hot tub!! The beds are so comfortable and its very clean !! We go to Pismo every year for my birthday in June and I wouldn't stay any were else. Even if its a little far from beach it's worth it's just nice there!! I've told a lot of my friends and they too stayed there and they say they like it there!!

« Best Western Casa Grande Inn »

Have been here many times and it is good quality at a reasonable price. Will stay again in the future as we have family in Arroyo Grande. The complementary breakfast had a variety and was served in a comfortable room.

    « Restless Night »

Booked this for one night and was impressed with the attractive courtyard area and the western-themed office & commons area, where we ended up having a nice breakfast in the morning. Our room was another story. Although clean, it was small and dark, with a bed that was not comfortable. Our sleep was frequently interrupted by some sort of electric transformer sort of noise that emanated from the bathroom area. Perhaps we were near a mechanical room; can't say. Best part of our stay was leaving in the morning.

« Nice place, but not ADA compliant »

We stayed here as a couple, along with my 94 yr old dad. It's a nice place: clean, comfortable beds, you can open a window for ventilation rather than use the below- window AC box. We all slept well. The breakfast was OK; very tasty scrambled eggs, three kinds of fruit, they had raisin bran so there was a carb choice beyond low fiber sweet muffins and sugary cereals. We've stayed here three times before, while visiting relatives nearby. The con: it was probably built in the 70s or early 80s, and hasn't been updated to meet current ADA guidelines. If there is a trip hazard, they don't fix it, they just paint it red, trying to warn you (and acknowledging liability). With my dad's increasing age and frailty he doesn't lift his feet as high as he should. He also doesn't like to acknowledge that he's had any physical decline. So he tries to go up the step to get to the main entrance for the Sunday breakfast room: he trips, falls, skins his knee. The usual breakfast room didn't have enough seats for the 3 of us Sun am, so we went to use the alternate breakfast room on the 2nd floor, where we find there is no elevator access for a man with mobility problems. He struggles up the stairs. We were happy a bathroom was adjacent to that breakfast room for quick access, though. What is needed is remediation of the trip hazards and more designated disabled parking spaces in the back of the lower building. And probably two or three designated disability breakfast seating areas in the lower breakfast area on Sundays. They need to do this ASAP before 1) anyone else gets hurt and 2) the notorious litigation- happy ADA advocates profiled recently in the news find this place and file a lawsuit, costing this establishment tens of thousands of dollars.

« Best thing about it: the first glance »

Best thing about it: the first glance. It looks very inviting and is quietly located assuring a silent night. Parking is convenient, too and rooms are large enough by far. Well, on the other hand, there is nothing that you could do in walking distance. Breakfast is rather disapointing. Pricy for what the deilver. Pool looked nice.

« I expected more for the price »

The rooms were clean but small. The bathroom didn't have a tub. In general, the room was very dark. The lighting in the dressing area outside the bathroom was very dim and yellow in color. Not good for getting dressed and make up. Parking was a problem. Our room was on the front of the hotel, but there wasn't enough parking. We had to go around back and walk a much farther distance to our room. The parking area was only one way in, so when we found that there weren't any spaces, we had to back out ... not good! Overall, OK but not great. The staff were very friendly.

    « On the Road »

On my way to see my sick father and had to stop for the night. I saw this Best Western and knew that would be the place. Best Western is one of my two go tos so that was the way to go. I used my points and had a great room and cookies too even though it was after the time. Nice place to stay even though it is very large.

« Great stay, very handicap accessible. »

I'm in a power chair, I don't always get around well, even in some so-called accessible rooms. This one was great. lots of space to move, great shower, comfortable grounds. The even had a handicap lift for the pool (You do ned to ask to have Maintenance guy to hook it up).

« A clean and comfortable place to stay »

Spent two nights at this Best Western in Arroyo Grande while visiting family in the area. The room was spacious, clean, had a nice shower. There was an in-room refrigerator and small coffee pot. We enjoyed the complimentary morning coffee in the lobby and there was a nice looking breakfast available, although we did not eat there. Overall, a very pleasant place to stay.

« This is a quality & well run BW... great pool area! »

This BW, (not a Plus, but could be...) is very well run & the staff were all personable & efficient. I especially enjoyed the poolside King Suite which is very spacious...& w/b great for a family of up to four. The pool & spa & deck areas are very nice & kept clean. The breakfast is pretty standard but well hosted by very accommodating & smiling staff.

« Nice Hotel and Good location »

I loved that when we checked in a 6:00 pm they had coffee ready. The lobby is very nice and clean with an south west theme. The room was big and bathroom, the beds were so comfy, the grounds were very clean, and kept up, I like the water fountain and the breakfast was bacon waffles, eggs, cereal, orange juice, coffee, milk ,rolls, toast, muffins, you name it ! And housekeeping is always available. Well be back.

« Comfportable over night stay »

Over night stay to break up our trip to Orange County Ca. Older property large very clean room with the convenience of a microwave and fridge. This motel was very reasonably priced and walking distance to several eating establishments.

« Ok for an overnighter »

The staff was friendly, especially Mark. He was helpful on the phone and greeted us warmly when we checked in. This is an older motel, but the room was clean. The beds were hard as rocks though. (Glad we were only there for one night.) Complimentary breakfast was the usual dry cereals, powdered scrambled eggs, bacon, yogurt, assorted breads, and a waffle maker. It's good if you're not picky or are famished. We were in town for a wedding, so it served our purpose of needing a place to stay overnight. I don't think we'd stay here again though. This is a good motel for families because the rate was decent, there's a pool and breakfast is included. TIP: We stayed here in May. The weather in Arroyo Grande was very chilly and breezy. Bring coats and jackets. Don't let the sunshine fool you that it'll be warm. The front desk staff said the same thing!

« Best Room we have stayed in for three people »

This wonderful hotel gave us two rooms in one. It had a King bed, couch, two tables and chairs, sink, micro, cupboards then two bathroom sinks then a whole other bedroom with a queen bed, and tv in it. It was wonderful for the tree of us. Would definitely come back and the grounds outside are beautiful.

    5
    « Very satisfied »

We have stayed here before and found it to be clean, comfortable and the staff are polite. It is close to our purpose of being here. We will continue to stay here. My suggestion would be to change breakfast times until 10:00 AM. Not a deal breaker but we wouldn't have to hurry to make it to breakfast before it closes at 9:30 AM

« Enjoyable stay for a quick visit »

This was a one-night stay for us as we were passing through. The hotel was well-appointed and maintained. We had limited interactions with the staff, but they were always pleasant and helpful. The breakfast bar was nicely laid out and had a little something for everyone. We would stay here again.

    « Simply Marvelous »

I was extremely tired when I arrived at this hotel and I was met with caring and warm people. I am a Red Cross volunteer and I had traveled a long way after working a disaster; hence the tired aspect. Everyone was so kind upon check in and check out. The accommodations were wonderful and I felt safe, refreshed and ready to attack another day after spending it with you all. Thank you.

    « Disappointed this time »

I have stayed here at this hotel a few times now. Unfortunately each time has become increasingly disappointing. The first time I enjoyed a beautiful pool view room with a balcony and the most comfortable bed of any hotel bed ever. The next visit was a pretty standard room experience and worth the price but nothing special. The third stay was a strange room that had two bedrooms, not sure why I was given that room but it was ok other than the old sofa and the bed being old and uncomfortable. This is my forth stay here and this is by far the least desirable room I have been paid for... Old furniture, no outlets convenient for electronics, a bathroom that needs remodeling... And the bed less than the comfort I expect at Best Western. I know they are in the process of remodeling so there is hope for future stays to be better. I can't wait to see if my next time here will come close to the expectations set for me when I first visited.

    « Spacious Accomodations »

We have been staying at the Best Western Casa Grande Inn for many years. This hotel is convenient to San Luis Obispo, Pismo Beach and the wine country. We stayed in one of the family suite rooms that have two separate rooms. This hotel is a great value for the two room suites as compared to others on the Central Coast. Another couple shared the suite with us that had not stayed at this hotel before that weekend. They were very impressed with the accommodations, the buffet breakfast and location for the cost. We plan to return to this hotel the next time we are in the area.

    5
« Wonderful service, great value hotel »

We stayed here overnight on our way up the Pacific Coast highway and were very impressed with the level of service and value we got for the price. Upon checking in, the staff were warm and friendly. Our room was large, with a comfortable king bed, coffee maker, fridge, and microwave. The pool looked nice, although we did not get a chance to use it. Parking near the rooms is plentiful and made loading and unloading the car easy. Breakfast, included in the price, was excellent - juice, coffee, breads, pastries, plus eggs and bacon and a waffle maker. A great value for the price that I most definitely recommend.

    « A Wonderful Stay »

The Casa Grande Inn is a beautiful hotel located very near to several beaches and hiking spots, and only about an hour away from places like Piedras Blancas seal viewing point, and Hearst Castle. The staff is friendly, complimentary breakfast is delicious, and the pool is great. Despite being just off the 101 freeway, the hotel grounds are quiet and well manicured. We would definitely recommend this hotel experience.

    2
    « Unsatisfied »

this hotel needs new accommodations; bedding needs to be replaced, the rooms need renovation; the smell is old; The cleaning staff needs to be educated on the timing of a persons stay; They should not be disturbed before the actual exit time automatically. Hours of entering and existing a room is getting way to long. Not being able to enter a room until 3 or 4 in the afternoon is a rip off! The cost of renting a room for the night is really getting out of control and without the value.

    2
« Old motel, not worthy of the price. »

This is an old motel, and not what were expecting for the price we paid. Check-in was super slow. Why couldn't they have keys ready like other hotels do? There was no elevator to our room; this is a motel with outside access to the vast majority of rooms. Our room was dated, and the furniture was extremely worn. The room smelled musty and old, like the dated furniture. There were smashed bugs on the walls; you'd think housekeeping or maintenance would care enough to clean them off. The bed was lumpy and overly soft. There were no power outlets on the nightstand. In this modern age of electronics, all hotels should have a simple solution of power hubs on both nightstands for charging phones and devices at bedside. I guess to be expected, since our room was a step back in time--and not in a charming way. The room did have a refrigerator and a microwave. The bathroom had a shower only, which had some mold on the caulking and grout. Housekeeping needs to apply a bit of elbow grease there. The water pressure was OK and the hot water stayed good and hot. The towels were hard and crunchy. The free WiFi worked very well. The hotel had a free, open-air parking lot. I'd only stay here again if desperate. Maybe it was just the night we stayed, but this place is way too pricey for an old, chintzy motel.

« Think twice before staying here... »

The exterior of this hotel appeared nice, and so did the pool (which we didn't get a chance to use) but when we checked in, the front staff were rude and distracted. When we got into our room there were dirty used towels on the bathroom floor, and the toilet didn't flush. After THREE phone calls to the front desk (and several hours later) the front desk girl came to our room with a plunger in hand and told us that maintenance had left already. Of course the plunger didn't work so we were switched to a different room (slight upgrade). The new room was cleaner, but the decor and microwave looked as though it was straight out of the 80s. The bed was weak and squeaky, and there were several bugs (on the ceiling) which I had to kill that evening. Fortunately we only had to stay there the one night but I was SO glad to get back to my own bed after this experience.

    « great hotel »

This is a great hotel in the middle of the five cities. With so much to do around there and so many different hotels we've tried around there, we always love this one the best. And great free breakfast too!

    « Nice stay »

A very nice hotel. Calm and clean. Good situation between San Francisco and Los Angeles. Not too close to the highway. We arrived too late to enjoy the pool and the neighborhood. We wished we could have stayed a little longer than one night. Maybe next time.

    « Worth the stay »

Everything was good except the ill managed breakfast arrangements. The checkin and checkout process was smooth. Good quality internet and good location especially close to any of the famous beaches. The replenishment of items during the breakfast was managed poorly.

    « Lovely »

Spent one night. A real coffee pot (tho small) was a surprise, since most BW have those dumb single cup hot pots. We only do BW. Bed was comfy. Breakfast was worse than most BW hotels we've stayed at. But we don't choose a place to sleep for breakfast. Very nice western decor.

« Lovely room, terrific hotel »

We had a pool-side suite and it was perfect! The extra room, with a wet bar, microwave, refrigerator, sofa, big screen TV, surrounded by picture windows, a view of the pool and a private patio, was excellent! The bed was super comfortable, the a/c worked wonderfully, huge vanity, and even bigger bathtub!

The front desk was advised of noise by workers in front of ourI room and response was that I should have read notice that was posted in office. He didn't offer lower rate or discount on next visit. Live with it!

    « Tranquility in Pismo »

Me and the hubby spent a solid week at this hotel and the management went above and beyond our expectations, was very friendly and courteous, greeted us with a big bag of goodies, including books, pamphlets for sightseeing, shopping, things to see and do.We began each morning with a good choice for breakfast, and our room was as we expected, really comfortable bedding, and very clean room everyday when we returned from our daily outings. We had our small Corgi, Cooper who walked daily out back in the dog area they had on site, nicely kept and clean. Thanks to the hotel management, we had a wonderful vacation because of your friendly staff. See ya next year

    5
    « Awesome »

Just stay here instead of spending $300 to $700 a night in Pismo Beach. better quality of staff, amenities and very pet friendly. The staff alone from the time you check in until you leave are extremely friendly and if you need anything extra the do not hesitate to get it for you. The 2 queen bed room that I had was very comfortable, clean and even though I was on the first floor I couldn't hear people above me or outside.

    2
« Pet friendly rooms are filthy and unkempt »

The hotel is nice in most ways, unless you are traveling with a pet. Then you are stuck in a "pet room". In our case, there were at least a dozen stains on the carpet floor from pets soiling. The furniture is old and tired. It sounded like people were playing basketball upstairs. Since you are paying $20 a day for your pet, the least they could do would be to shampoo the carpet from time to time and give you a room that didn't look like it had ten year old furniture. It was very disappointing considering the premium I paid to have a pet with me.

    5
« Good motel; good value »

« Epic house keeping failure »

First off we looked in the shower and noticed that a used soap, shampoo, and conditioner bottle were still in the shower. I won't even mention the hair that also resided in the shower with the above containers. Second thing I noticed were the ants in the bathroom that had my 4 year old screaming like crazy. ?????? The bed was nice and comfortable. I had enough pillows for my family. One had a nasty stain on it brown spots from who knows what!!! ???? Now I had not been in my car for the past 14 or so hours I might have packed all the luggage back up so we could change rooms but I was exhausted.

    « good »

« Pick the right room »

We have had a good experience with this hotel, but this time we were in room 108. The furniture looked to have been salvaged from a dumpster. The bed was rock hard and I think that the pillows were stuffed with golf balls. We could hear the people upstairs chatting, rolling luggage around maybe even bowling by the sound of it. The clocks were all wrong (how irritating is that!!). The room was not clean and had nasty smell. The breakfast room was crowded. We later found that there are two additional breakfast room and it would have been nice to be told that at check in. Not the best BW experience.

    « Overall Good »

It was a good place to stay, a little high on the price, but it was still better than other surrounding hotels. A little far from the beach itself, but still good area. Very clean, relaxing environment. Staff was friendly, courteous and prompt. The hotel is very cute and mission looking. The pool and Jacuzzi area was very clean, had access to clean towels, bathrooms, and sauna. The room was pleasant, nothing fancy, but well maintained. Bed was a lumpy and not that comfortable, however, I have stayed there before and the bed was perfect. Breakfast was a bonus, lots to choose for a simple breakfast, Overall, I enjoyed my stay.

« Pleasant place to stay »

Best Western Casa Grande Inn was a very pleasant place to stay from the check in to the time we departed. The rooms can use a little updating, but not in bad condition at all. upon entering the room it looked very clean, and the smell was pleasant. I would definitely stay here again.

« Great Choice for Pismo Area »

We have been coming down to this area for many years and have stayed at various locations from Atascadero down to Pismo Beach. Being best Western Platinum members, we decided to try the BW Casa Grande. It was an excellent decision!. We spent two nights here the weekend before last and most everything was spot on. We booked a suite next to the pool. It is very large with a separate sitting area, with fridge, and large windows looking out onto the pool area. We had the corner, first floor suite which we did not mind at all. There were people above us, but we really didn't hear them at all. The suite has a nice outside patio with tables and chairs where you can enjoy a refreshment. The only thing I would change with that patio would be to put a gate on the small railing which would give us direct access to the pool, instead of having to go out the front door and around the building to access the pool area. The pool was nicely heated and the jacuzzi was good and hot, and the best part is, it's not a small jacuzzi. There is enough room for many guests! The pool area is very attractive. It has great potential if they wanted to build it up even more(music, outside bar, etc). Check in was very easy. The young lady was very pleasant and acknowledged us as BW members. Check out, too, was taken care of in 5 minutes. The only "not perfect" area was the breakfast room. It is fairly small, and on a busy weekend, like ours, it was very crowded. They did, though, anticipate this in advance, and on the Sunday, opened up a second breakfast room in the lobby building-very good planning! Also, don't be a minute late as ice 9:30 came, the breakfast room was locked. It would be nice to open up a little later on weekends and stay open a bit longer. For us, a minor prob. I could still get coffee in the lobby. We come down here often and plan on making the Casa Grande our" go to" hotel. It is very close to Pismo, San Luis, and even Nipomo(Jocko's!).

« Good Place to Rest »

I have been staying here for the last five years. Comfortable beds, good Breakfast, and good service. Last stay here, I was a bit upset by the ants in the room. Otherwise, great place!!! Good location, near Panera and In and Out Burger! I would stay here again.

« Outdoor Heated pool and HOT jacuzzi »

Very nice updated rooms, outdoor pool was very warm, and jacuzzi is very large was so hot, it took me a few minutes to get in. Had a variety of options for breakfast, muffins, fresh fruit, mini waffles, as well as regular sized waffles, cold cereal, juice, yogurt, toast, bagels, scrambled eggs and bacon. Beds felt comfortable, and nice pillows. They did need a towel shelf in the bathroom, as no where to hang or keep towels. Had a great stay, and the beach was only 3 miles away.

« A Gem In Our Own Backyard! »

We had work being done on our home so had to move out for a few days. We needed to stay local and on advice from friends and reviews on TA, chose the Casa Grande Inn. It is conveniently located near the freeway, shopping and easy access to three South County Cities, Arroyo Grande, Pismo Beach and Grover Beach. It is an older hotel, but well maintained, quiet and the staff is excellent. Nice breakfast- standard fare with a beautiful view overlooking the pool area. The rooms are clean and comfortable with abundant storage and seating /eating area as well as a comfortable desk area. The bathroom was updated and I really liked the handheld shower. Lots of pillows on comfortable beds. They have many ADA rooms of all types. There is a very large family play area over the lobby. We will definitely recommend Casa Grande Inn for visiting family and friends.

« They really are the BEST »

Beautiful, well kept property. We were impressed from the moment we arrived. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. our dog traveled with us and we were delighted with the Pet-Friendly accommodations and facilities.

    3
    « Facade »

The forced Spanish facade only serves to hide some flaws. Let's start. It took 25 minutes to check in. Only one employee at the desk despite a line of people waiting to check in. When I finally was served I asked for a receipt. Nope. I was told their computer system does not give you a receipt and that I'd have to come back tomorrow. Room 302 is pleasantly adorned. Bed was fine. Water pressure in the shower was ok, but the shower had rusted hinges and mold at the bottom of the sliding door. The complimentary soap is awful. Wifi was ok, but slow. Dish TV was standard. Microwave and small fridge in room. For $111 not sure of the value here and for a bit more I think the Hampton down the street offers better value. BW is ok, but it's not worth seeking out, but it's a viable option for a short stay.

    « Convenient, comfortable stay »

Remodeling was in progress, but ALL hotel and construction crews were extremely considerate. Hotel is near freeway, but quiet. The restaurant was closed, but just a 10 minute walk a couple are available. Rooms are spacious, with comfortable beds. the room directly over ours was being remodeled. The front desk manager was so concerned for our stay, he called as soon as we returned from dinner and offered to move us to another room.

    « Clean & Comfy »

We stayed here while attending a wedding at Spreafico Farms in San Luis Obispo. The hotel was only 15mins. away from wine country (Edna Valley). The hotel staff was awesome! They had great recommendations for restaurants and local attractions. The room was very clean, the beds and pillows were comfy and the grounds were impeccably maintained. Overall, I was impressed with the professional staff and the cleanliness of the hotel. I will be staying here again on my next wine tasting trip to Edna Valley.

Loved the ambiance and the hot cookies in the afternoon The charming architecture set it apart from the other hotels. The hotel lobby was lovely and the reception warm. Parking was convenient and close to some wineries.

    « Cute and Comfy... »

Very nice quality building, staff was friendly and profession at check in. Room was as requested, comfortable and quiet. The staff at breakfast was great. Breakfast was good. The hotel has lots of little details that make a difference. It looks like a cute little village... Made the difference....

Very nice mission-like look. Well-maintained facility. The hot tub was a treat, I was the only occupant. Breakfast was good and the staff at the desk and at the breakfast was very friendly. Highly recommend. Great value!

Well maintained with a great pool and SPA. They also have an agreement with the Kennedy Fitness center across the parking lot from the Motel, allowing guests to use all the gyms amenities, including exercise equipment, classes, SPA and Steam sauna.

    « Great Suite »

We booked a suite and stayed for 1 night while on our way from SF to LA.The hotel location is good and it was easy to find. The property is big so park your car near your room. The suite had a separate bedroom and queen beds and sofa is the main room. The ground floor room was very spacious and while we were a family of 5, we had a very comfortable stay. Breakfast spread was decent and was near the pool. Would definitely stay here again !

    « Wonderful Experience »

This is amy second stay at this hotel. The first time was march of 2015. I came in contact with 3 emplyees during my stay. All three where fantasstic in every respect. The hotel is centrally located for the places we wanted to visit. The front desk stafff were helpful in answering questions and making suggestions for places to visit.

« Great Central Coast Value »

We always stay here! It is the perfect Central Coast Getaway location. The staff are wonderful. The pool is newly remodeled. It has a new fresh look. You can even book one night on the week-end. Lastly; Call in advance for a pet friendly room if you need one. They are limited.

Very beautiful and nice place to stay. Great customer service with Elizabeth and crew. Loved the cookies and beverages that were accomadated to us. As well as all you can eat free breakfast. Close to the beach and lots of great shopping areas there.

    « Family Oriented »

I picked this hotel because of the two room suites with non-pullout beds in both rooms. However, that also made it a family hotel and the noise levels were unreal in the early morning. The hotel was fine but the other people staying there woke me up way too early. Not the fault of the establishment and I do recommend it for families.

Kind and professional staff. Beautiful facility. Value for your dollar unbeatable in this area. Breakfast was included. Heated pool and hot tub in a nice setting. This is a nice setting and probably the best experience I've had.

I enjoy staying at this hotel when I come to the area. Great breakfast too. We've stayed here before and will every time we visit the area. We like Best Western better than other hotels. The location and value suits our needs when we are here visiting family,

« Good value for my dollar »

Met our expectations and breakfast was included so we feel like our business was appreciated. Pismo Beach is close by, but not close enough to walk to. Lots of big box stores close by for amenities so you can easily get your stuff that you forgot to pack.

    « Great Stay »

Best Western Casa Grande Inn is our favorite place to stay, The staff is friendly, its clean, luv the layout and look and décor, its reasonably priced, breakfast is perfect. Has plenty of parking & great when we have our small trailer with beach riding toys.

« Good Service, Honest employees »

Overall great experience in this hotel. My husband left his backpack and the employees took care of it for us. We got the backpack back in few days. Room and other facilites are clean. Employees are courteous. I couldn't be happier.

« Not my worse experince; but close »

It is unfortunate the location of this hotel is a beautiful area and exterior look of the hotel is nice; however thats decieving the guest room was musty and smelly odor, old and dated room furnishings and linens,

    « Christmas vacation »

Exterior and landscaping were beautiful but room needs remodeling & the bed was horrible. Average breakfast. Would stay here again if the rooms were remodeled, but we will probably look elsewhere the next time for the price we paid. Location was handy to the downtown and only 9/10's of mile from our son and his wife.

    « Bring your own blanket ! »

The motel is clean and friendly , hotel rooms are small , towels and accessories are adequate . The problem starts when the weather is chilly, the temperature is LOCKED at 63 degrees. The bed offers double sheeting between a thin Cotton blanket . We literally froze on a less then comfortable. Bed. No return visits for us .

« One Of My Favorite Hotels »

I've stayed at this particular hotel twice now. In March 2015, I stayed here to meet family so we could celebrate my birthday. My latest was a last minute, walk-in, "Do-you-have-a-room;I'm-too-tired-to-drive-further" stay. Both stays were wonderful. The staff is helpful and so pleasant I was astounded. I've stayed at Hilton and Marriot hotels (and a Palm Springs time share) that don't have anywhere near the outstanding staff. I love the architecture == this hotel has a kind of hacienda/mission style architecture rather than the boring, beige rectangle box style of most hotels. The lobby is beautiful -- especially during the end of year holidays -- full of local history. The grounds are lovely; the swimming pool and jacuzzi are clean and fresh and relaxing. They provide DELICIOUS coffee (including decaf) and tea in the lobby 24/7 plus fresh cookies at 4pm. There's a good breakfast bar that offers juices, waffles, muffins an other yummies. Full disclosure, I'm vegan so only partake of the orange juice and fruit but heard from non vegans that the breakfast was fine). This is a good value hotel with a lovely ambiance, great staff where middle income and retired folks can spend a restful, comfortable stay (the beds are great) -- and they're dog friendly ($20 fee).

« Good value for the Pismo area »

This location is just minutes from the beach but you can save a good amount of money here vs staying at the beachside Best Western. The outside of the Inn is very nice with a pool and a fountain and Spanish-style influence. The lobby was beautifully decorated for the Xmas holiday. Our room, however, was underwhelming. PROs: Clean, remodeled shower, free HBO, blackout curtains, decent free breakfast, in-room microwave CONs: musty attic/old smell, thin blankets, broken heater? Overall it was just ok. We had just stayed at another BW in Northern CA the night before so I couldn't help but compare. I might stay there again but if I did I would insist on a room without that odor (it just makes me feel like the place isn't clean).

    « Friendly staff »

Good sized room, facilities and friendly staff. Breakfast was nice, pretty standard but to be expected. Would have been a 4/5 but room walls are thin and could hear snoring which lead to other guests banging on walls and doors. Once settled it was fine. Close to pismo which has good beach and nice local shops and restaurants. The steak house restaurant 'A J Spurs' across the road is also great - huge portions!

« Nice Place To Stay »

We have stayed at the Best Western Casa Grande Inn several times and it has always been a pleasant experience. Easy access, close to local businesses and services. The hotel is also conveniently located to access to local attractions in Grover Beach, Arroyo Grande and Pismo Beach.

    5
« Best Western Casa Grande Inn, Arroyo Grande, CA »

This hotel will meet all your expectations. Also, the town of Arroyo Grande, CA is one of the friendliest places we know. Attended the local Christmas parade the evening of Nov. 29th and enjoyed it immensely. We had dinner at McClintock's. The best steak ever and the service is great. Recommended by the locals.

    « Good Value »

Staff was very attentive and friendly. Grounds and Exterior of the hotel are very nice for this price range. Room was a bit dated, but the bed was very comfortable. I'd definitely stay here again if I was in the area.

    « Pleasant enough »

Stayed here for one night on route up the Pacific Coast. The hotel was pleasant and the reception staff were very helpful. The room was a reasonable size, clean with a large comfy bed. Breakfast was the usual offering, nothing out of the ordinary. There was only a small eating area which could easily become fairly crowded. There are a couple of restaurants close by and there is a large shopping mall further up the road which no doubt included other restaurants. We approached Arroyo Grande on Route 1 and found the hotel a little difficult to find, however if approaching on Route 101 the hotel is much easier to locate. We would certainly stay here again if we were in the area.

« Nice hotel, close to Pismo Beach »

We had a nice stay at this Best Western during a surf contest we were participating in at Pismo Beach Pier. It was 5 -10 mins drive time to the Pier. The Hotel was large, nice, comfortable, safe. Breakfast room was a bit small and the breakfast was just average. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. There was a fridge and microwave in the room and that was useful. We were on the second floor and it was a little loud in the morning with the people above us. Overall we liked the hotel but I thought $140+a night was too much.

« Pleasant Weekend in Wine Country »

Stayed here this past weekend with ladies from my cycling group. Our room was large with two queen beds. The room was a little dated but it was really perfect for our purpose. There were two separate sinks which was really helpful with 3 ladies sharing a room. Also the beds were comfortable with clean linens. There was a microwave and fridge which were nice extras. The jacuzzi is large and perfect after our long rides. The breakfast was standard fare, waffles, eggs, bacon, all fresh, good coffee and many other items to choose from including fresh whole fruit. The staff was wonderful and very attentive. The price was okay but think we might have over paid a bit at $305.00 for 2 nights. The only thing I would say needs real attention is the elevator. We used the stairs because the smell was horrid. Other then this one issue, I would recommend this location. It was just minutes by car to Pismo Beach and wineries.

    « Comfortable and Clean »

We just recently started staying here again after the free continental breakfast had continued to decline. However, things have picked up again! The continental breakfast has really improved. They have the waffle machines back. They also have great cookies in the evening. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. We are happy to be back.

« Nicest BW I have stayed at »

I have no complaints about this property. Staff was extra friendly, especially front desk-Elizabeth:) she gave us a room upgrade to all of our 3 couples traveling together. Rooms were amazing! Very clean. Just one suggestion: put some sofa covers or replace them because the plastic or leather is peeling off. Breakfast was ok but the location was perfect for us. Would definitely recommend and stay there again.

We had a nice stay and enjoyed the facilities and location. We will stay here in the future. There is ample shopping and restaurants closeby, with a variety of choices of cuisine. The beach is also close by as well.

« Very good balance of comfort and quality »

I really enjoyed my stay here. the room was smaller, but very comfortable. they need some updates to their rooms, but everything was very clean and everything functioned properly. This Best Western seemed a bit on the pricey side to me, but by far the best hotel I've stayed in in this area for this price range.

« Nice lobby+pool, rooms not so great »

When you arrive, this place seems pretty nice. The lobby is very pretty, nice fountain on the grounds, pleasant pool area. The room wasn't very nice though. Bathroom (lacking a tub) needed a decor update, and there was no natural light other than to the outdoor walkway. The elevator utterly reeked, we had to hold our breath every time we used it, it was that bad. Breakfast was standard fare for these sorts of hotels. Overall, felt it was overpriced by about 30%.

    « Passing by »

We try to stay at Best Westerns when we are on a roadtrip. This Best Western, Casa Grande Inn, has a great location, right off highway 101. It was just what we needed after a long day of driving. Large, very clean, nicely decorated, comfortable room. Very helpful, friendly staff. The grounds are very nice. I would have liked to stay more than one night so I could have explored and enjoyed the very relaxing landscaping.

« Nice stay but expensive. »

i called twice to check if i could book a room but it was full and there was no waiting list. i would love it if they have one. the 1 night stay was pleasant. the room was clean and large. everything was in place. i enjoyed their breakfast but would love it if the quality was better. the orange juice i had tasted like water mixed with orange flavor and the scrambled eggs tasted like it wasn't from fresh eggs. overall, it was a nice stay but i would think twice when it comes to $200+ per night. Will definitely go back if there were no other choices around the area.

« Best in the area »

We loved staying at this hotel. We had stayed at others in the area but were very happy to find this Best Western in Arroyo Grande. It is kept very clean, including the beautiful pool and Jacuzzi area that are nicely decorated with a working waterfall and ample poolside furniture with towels available for all guests. Super comfortable beds in the suite rooms. We look forward to staying here when we are traveling on business in the area.

« Great place just off the highway »

This was our first night stay after a long flight from Australia, we really wanted to be out of LA. The hotel is clean, quiet and comfortable. Check in/out was very easy with no hassle as I had booked early. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Plenty of parking and free wifi to boot. I got a great price so we were very happy, highly recommended to anyone wanting a quiet nights sleep.

We were given the name of this hotel when our first choice was unavailable. It turned out to be an excellent hotel that is very well located. We had excellent service and it was a very comfortable and quiet room. Nice looking and easy access to the room and the luggage cart was available right where you would want it.

« Motel firewall restricts your internet acces »

    « Excellent customer service »

Stayed at this hotel on a Friday night back in September 2015. When I went to check in I discovered that I got a smoking room. Apparently I didn't check the box for non-smoking. My mistake. However, after some discussion with management they gave us a larger room that was being converted to non-smoking. The room was very nice. Parking is tight but the grounds are nice. Another major nicety was the fact that it was not next to the freeway like many Hotels are so it was very quiet. Definite do-again.

« Accomadating to your needs! »

A nice small town outside of San Luis Obispo! This motel sure knows how to treat their guests. I had a request to have an alternative method for a bed due to an acute medical issue. I couldn't have asked for such a more "we can do whatever it takes" attitude. The promise the clerk made during the reservation was spot on. The room was clean, large, and comfortable and although we were next to the stairwell it was quiet. The staff responded immediately to requests for additional linen, and any questions asked. There were knowledgable in the area in enable to direct us to restaurants, shopping etc. Shopping for that quick, " we forgot......" very nice stores close in proximity, not run down or dirty. Glad we pushed on past San Luis! Good job Best Western in Arroyo Grande! And thank you.......

« Pet friendly and convenient »

We stayed one night while waiting for beach front hotel. Staff very helpful and great BW style hot breakfast. Room was well used but clean. Bed comfortable. Tight parking lot. Spanish style hotel. Had to sleep with AC on as congested site and close to freeway with noise. Close to shopping centers.

This hotel is always our choice when we stay in Arroyo Grande, and we stay here at least 2 or 3 times a year. The people who work here are so nice, and the rooms are great, each with a nice TV, refrigerator, microwave & coffee maker. Everything always looks and works great. And they have an elevator in case your suitcase is big and heavy!

« Who Could Ask for Anything More? »

Located just off Hwy 101 (very near Pismo Beach) in the heart of wine country. Beautiful early California décor includes hand painted Talavera pottery and a beautiful pool with waterfall adjacent to the hot tub which makes it easy to keep an eye on the children. Good selection of breakfast items which is included in the room charge! Rooms are immaculate. Great value and location.

    2
« Nice on the outside »

Very long wait for check in. Clerk did apologize. The outside of the inn looks very nice. The room was clean, but very out dated. Just a little disappointed as this was listed as a 3 star inn. To me it didn't meet that requirement.

    « Pretty Tired Property »

Best Western's can vary greatly! This is an older hotel with very small rooms. Breakfast was pretty sub par. Service at the front desk was slow. The room was at least clean. The picture makes you think it's an old style hacienda but it's not.
