Room 306 smells very badly like Fish! I asked to be moved to a new room, they said they had nothing available. We had to sleep there as it was 10:30 pm. We woke up with headaches and had a terrible sleep. I complained at the front desk again and the lady promised to move us to a new room for the second night. We packed up all our stuff and when we arrived back at the hotel, the new clerk said we are back in room 306 (the stinky room). I insisted we can not stay there. At first she said no rooms available. After insisting, we managed to get 2 new rooms to accommodate our family of 5. The new rooms were clean and smelled fine. I told them they need to take room 306 out of commission until they can clean it properly or remove the carpet or figure out where the horrible FISH smell is coming from. They lost a customer ! I won't chance staying there again.
Well what can I say about the pretentious snotty attitude from the girl at the front desk. As the customer, I would have appreciated a little more respect, instead of being “yeah yeah'd” and interrupted while I was politely explaining my situation. Also, I think I was put in a pet friendly room (which I never requested or needed as I don't have a pet)… the room stunk and wreaked like a wet dog and the bathroom was dirty with HAIRS of some sort in the bathtub and sink. This hotel is NOT “very good” at all.
This is a nice hotel that is centrally located and consistently comfortable. There aren't a lot of bells and whistles but the rooms are very nice, always clean and parking is easy. They have electric chargers for cars and it is an easy walk to a grocery store. I have stayed here many times and go back because it is a good fit. There is a chesterfield in the room so you aren't sitting on the bed to watch tv. There is a desk so you can easily do paperwork in a comfortable chair. There are easy to access charging ports so you can keep your phone charged and handy. There are 2 restaurants on site that you get 10% off at, I wish there was a free breakfast included but there is an A&W around the corner for a low cost breakfast on the go. It is a quiet hotel even though it is at the corner of busy streets.
Overall our stay was fine. When we arrived at the hotel, we were upgraded to a kitchen suite. Unfortunately once we got to our room, we had stained sheets, and one of our bathroom lights was out. We also had issues with the shower head and the dishwasher door wouldn't shut to run a load of dirty dishes. On day 3 of 4, the house keeping came to clean the room so we vacated the room. Once we returned an hour later, our room was still not clean. She then came back to our room and told us she didn't have enough time to clean our room anymore and was dropping off clean towels. We then stated we requested our room cleaned and she refused until we mentioned it was fine and would go and ask management to have someone else make up our room. Considering the age of the hotel, and that this hotel was the go to choice for a wedding in town, we were not overly impressed with our stay.
The staff are very friendly and accommodating. No complimentary breakfast at this location but everything else was great. There is an attached restaurant, tho.
The cleanliness of the room is subpar at best. I rented a "pet friendly" room. The room smelled of urine! When taking my chihuahua outside to do their business, there is no grass, not pet area, nothing but large rock and parking lot. There is rat traps set up at every doorway, and zero chairs or benches for people to sit outside. Not at all impressed for a Best Western.
As a best western diamond elite I had a $ 100 gift certificate The front desk Clerk could not input properly & was of no assistance Mediocre customer service Had to phone BW customer service got sorted out took way to long after driving 8 hours Do your self a favour stay elsewhere Bw is low class mediocrity at best
There aren't a lot of bells and whistles here (no pool or hot tub) but the rooms are very nice and include a little sofa so you don't have to sit on the bed. The rooms are large and clean. The bed was really comfy and the room was quiet at night even though the property is right on the busy street. The parking is easy and they have a free electric charger for EVs. I've stayed here over the years and come back because it always works. The restaurant isn't great and I wouldn't recommend it but the hotel is good although it is starting to show a little wear.
Liked the layout of the room. Having a sofa to sit was nice. Options to have breakfast or not was good. The location of hotel is good. Very easy to find. Having a little sink and a little counter space for coffee machine was great. Also had a microwave.
Good size King room with newer bedding. Lots of lights. Bathroom lighting poor for makeup application.Centrally located for easy access. Lots of parking. Attached restaurant Rickys//Pizza Napolitana. Large lobby with lots of seating, PC access and printer, Coffee and tea available in lobby anytime. No Frills accommodation at a decent price.
Front desk service is a super nice all the girls working there so friendly and kind on the guest staying there especially I want to Mention the girl Name RUBI I talk her over the phone to two three times change my booking extend my booking she deal so easily she was so friendly I would just wanna really appreciate to her that Company can keep these kind of Nice And professional girls
I booked a wheelchair accessible room with wheel in shower, for 3 adults. To start with the door to get into the room was on such a tight spring, there was no way I could hold the door open to get through. We had to keep moving thee coffee table to enable me to get around. We put it end on end to get more space. The bathroom was supposed to have a wheel in shower. There was no way my shower chair would fit, and I am not a large person, and my shower chair is not large either. If I attempted to shower, half of my chair would be out and would cause water to run everywhere. I had to forgo the shower, not great in 35+ weather. The pull out couch for one adult was very uncomfortable, she could feel the springs in her back. Might be ok for a kid. Our bed was ok not great. We were leaving for the day and asked for clean towels, empty the garbage and toilet paper. We returned 7 hours later and nothing was done. We asked at the front desk what happened and we were told we had a do not disturb on our door.Seriously, they saw us leave. Why would I ask for assistance then leave the note. Does not make sense. Sounded like I was a liar. The Rickis Restaturant right beside the hotel was closed for renos. When asked why we were not advised in advance, the supervisor said we only found out a week ago. BS. The reviews from months ago stated it was closed. We booked the hotel due to the option of an all day eatery. Lastly, due to all of the above, I requested a refund of one night free $200. I was advised wed cannot issue a credit. What, not true. they gave me $100 which is 50% one night. I will deter anyone from staying here ESPECIALLY wheelchair users. I have traveled extensively and this was the worst room. Next email Head Office……………..
Everything is very good the only complaint I have is that the guests above us sound like the kids like to jump around even past midnight. I didn't call reception just because I have a kid myself. But I made sure my son didn't do that because I know people get tired after a long day of adventure. I just wish parents would be more mindful when dealing with their kids.
When booking your room, beware, that this hotel does not accept debt cards or cash,it also have a restaunt that's not open, they fail to mention that, the afternoon staff have no idea how customer service should be,rather give you a hard time getting into your booked room, night shift gentleman was the best experience and understood your headache when booking in. What you get is not what you pay for, next time we are staying at hotel 6 there you get what you pay for and no headache about how you pay,and not give a 900.00 cash deposit for your room.
Room was not serviced everyday, coffee and towels are not replenished. Constant banging in the wall anytime of the day and night. You could here what is happening in the corridor. Free Breakfast has not many to choose.
made us pay upon check in plus deposit -Gave friends other people's room keys with no questions asked -keys constantly stopped working and needed to be reissued -no housekeeping daily. I even asked and was told we needed to request the day before for the next day. -was never told housekeeping wasn't offered -asked for fresh towels and garbage change and returned to find two bath towels and extra garbage bags on bench and soiled towels and garbage collected by the door wasn't taken -we had a room with kitchen but insufficient kitchen supplies to use the kitchen -we went to dollarama to purchase paper towel, dish towels, sponges to clean dishes, paper bowls and a big bowl to accommodate our plans on using the kitchen -missed out on my nap due to nonsense of friends being kicked out of hotel
One of the families in our group was unprofessionally and rudely asked to leave the hotel in the middle of their stay. A noise complaint at 4:30pm was handled unfairly. The family never received a warning, just a phone call from the front desk that they had to leave. They were booked in for 5 days along with 16 other families where the kids were in a dance competition. Their room just happened to be a meeting area at that time of the day where there was no understanding nor direct communication from hotel management regarding any noise complaints. The whole situation was handled terribly and a family being displaced as well as the manager Debbie quoting that they would be blacklisted in two of the other hotels in the area. We are all professionals with children competing in dance, not partying til late hours of the night. A social time at 4:30pm on a Friday afternoon is certainly not grounds for dismissal. Had the manager dealt with this situation with professionalism and sincerity then perhaps things could have worked out. Never have I dealt with a family being asked to leave a hotel because of some floor noise and kids going from room to room to see their friends. All in all I thought the hotel was nice and the price was great, but the lack of customer service was unnerving and put a lot of stress on not only the one family but their children competing.
Great price however you get what you pay for. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and the shower head was less then satisfactory. Staff were great and cleanliness was good. They did have a reasonable vending machine at the front desk. The amenities in the bathroom were far from satisfactory due to you could tell they were older and not up to date however not bad for what we paid.
Very quiet, and the staff were very friendly and professional. It was conveniently located and check in and out was quick. I would recommend staying at this hotel and location. I would stay there again.
large rooms, good size bathroom, nice bed and linens, coffee station in the room plus coffee in the lobby. all you need for a brief stay. On the edge if town. Nearby restaurants, casino, shopping. Not many amenities, adjacent restaurant - 15% discount. Free parking
Staff are apathetic, unprofessional (don't wear name tags). The room was dirty and unsanitary and in disrepair. This Hotel does not keep a Best Western standard and should lose the brand name immediately. The Rickis in the Hotel - I would not eat there. I would like a refund of 50 percent at least and an apology, but I doubt the owner would engage with understanding as the apathy may start at the top. it certainly is prevalent in the staff I encountered
Our room was extremely dirty and we had to clean it ourselves for an hour. Everything was run down and food stains on the walls, thick dust, dirty floors, uncomfortable beds and the list goes on. My pillow case had hairs all over it (wasn't changed). I read after my stay that it had a bed bug infestation a week or two before and I can see why. I wished I read all the bad reviews before I stayed here because majority all commented on how dirty the rooms were and bed bug bites. I woke up with extreme allergies and my eye half swollen shut. I have no idea how this hotel is even above a 3 star. Please stay somewhere else (not the Prestige Inn, had a terrible experience there too).
I've always had a good experience staying at this place. Been coming here for quite a few years except the Covid period. Very clean and quiet place. Excellent staff, would be nice if there are 2 ppl on the front desk. I would highly recommend it if you are looking for a place to stay while you are in the area.
Room was next to mechanical room. Was so loud night and day. Had to buy earplugs to sleep. $370 per night. No breakfast. Carpet was dirty. Room had a odor. Front desk did not seem concerned about the issues.
Stayed here for one night. The rooms with two double beds were OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive and I booked the room in April so it wasn't last minute. We had king bed and pull out sofa for two people . Little cramped but worked. Bedding and pillows were thin and old…. Had better at teeny tiny hotels in the middle of nowhere. No feee breakfast which was disappointing given the price of the hotel. The front desk was always empty had to stand there a long time before the girl came out of the office. The restaurant in the hotel was the worst meal I ever had. They vegetables they served with turkey dinner were mushrooms, onions and peppers…..very odd. I word stay at a cheaper hotel in the area next time.
The hotel itself looked brand new and we both were very impressed with the hotel amenities. The food portions were big and the variety of breakfast foods was very good. You will need to put the electronic room key up against the elevator scanner in order to operate the elevator.
I've stayed at this hotel many times. The rooms are large and very comfortable. There is a discount for breakfast at Ricky's in the hotel but no breakfast included. There is no pool but it is in a good location to get to everything in and around Vernon. The room was a little sub-par this trip but I imagine they are struggling with staffing issues the same as other businesses. The staff were friendly and concerned when I advised of the issues. I would stay here again without hesitation but hope they are able to add the polish it used to have soon.
I got a great rate for my 3 night stay. the hotel was close to everything, including grocery stores, and coffee shops. I was happy that they have a guest laundry. I did use it and was happy to be able to wash clothes after being on the road for a week. The laundry room did look like it had not been cleaned in a while. The garbage can was full and the lint trap was thick with lint. The vending machines on the floors and the small store across from the front desk were handy. I bought launrdy soap and launrdy sheets, to do a load of clothes. I will say that this hotel could use a second elevator. There are 4 floors and only one elevator. I always had to wait for the elevator.
We were visiting friends in the area and decided to go for dinner and the not drive home. We checked into the hotel, and got a cab to a local restaurant ( we wanted to have a beverage with our dinner) Check-in was efficient and attendant was friendly. Room was great, clean and comfortable. The sleep qualit was great.
2 night only but very friendly staff, great location and nice rooms. Appreciated the fridge and microwave. Bed was a little soft for our comfort and needs updating. Ricky's Grill has a great Keanu but make sure you are there at least an hour before closing to be able to order other than appetizers.
very happy with our stay. king bed very comfortable. Restaurant attached Ricky's was very good food, followed Covid protocol. We had a pet room, cleaned very well no notice of other animals. I would recommend this hotel to others.
It was just a stopover for us and we have stayed here a few times in the past. It continues to be a good place to stay. Access to the hotel's location is easy and parking area is generous. Onsite restaurant is convenient.
This hotel doesn't have free breakfast in the morning, doesn't have a pool or hot tub, and doesn't do room cleaning every day. You have to schedule which days you want to have your room cleaned and it can't be every day. And every night when I went down to the lobby it always had a really strong smell of gasoline.
Staff were excellent and even though there were some minor speed bumps, staff resolved all the issues quickly. Initially given a room not cleaned, but rectified immediately, and also upgraded to a double Queen suite room with kitchen. 2nd room was spotless but missing a remote control, but front desk had a new one up to me in 5 minutes. Personally I thought it was very well handled since every business seems to be short staffed. Price point was decent, room was excellent, staff were great. I would stay again.
We were expecting a free breakfast option. The website clearly states that even a grab and go breakfast would be provided. We would not have stayed there if we had known this in advance. Our room was absolutely filthy!!! When we entered the room there was a dirty cleaning cloth left on the counter, we found a small white pill (medication) on the floor in the kitchen, a cut toenail on the carpet and orthodontic elastics in the bedroom. The top sheet on one of the beds was dirty. There was no daily housekeeping service. We were told upon check-in that since we were staying 4 nights that we could request service once during our stay. We had a kitchen unit that was ill equipped - no toaster and place setting for only 3 people when it sleeps 6. There were no extra garbage bags in the unit and got attitude at the front desk when asking for some. This hotel was disgusting!! We will never stay at that hotel again! A very bad experience!
Pros: Some staff were kind and helpful, there was coffee every morning, close to everything (Mall, grocery store, restaurants), clean foyer, Pet-friendly, large rooms, comes with Keurig, mini-fridge and coffee pods. Cons: Stained linens and towels, looked like lipstick on towels when we first checked in, had to go to front desk to ask for new linens and towels every other day. The "Clean" towels looked pretty dingy, didn't seem to keep elevator that clean as it was always pretty grungy and had terrible smells in it. Keys always stopped working. Also, I have a specific response to the treatment/experience at this hotel: As an evacuee I'm glad that so many hotels have come together to help support those who have been displaced from their homes, but this hotel has not been that supportive though. Due to being displaced we were staying at the Best Western and they seem to be double dipping in getting money as our room was to be paid for by ESS, along with our deposit, pet costs (Which include the pet deposit and pet stay), that being said this hotel took a deposit from us when we first checked in, afterwards it was brought to my attention from ESS that they were not supposed to ask evacuees for credit cards or any security deposit payment as it was paid for by ESS. Then when I went to get my deposit back, they told me they were keeping it for my pet, even though I have talked to the front desk person and sent them an email of my documentation stating that pet costs were to be covered. The front desk even advised ESS that I could come back and get my money returned to me, but upon arrival they denied me again! I work everyday, so finding the opportunity to get to this location is a challenge in itself, but to have this back-and-forth nonsense is beyond ridiculous and being told I can come and get my security deposit back then to be turned away after finding the time to grab it, its frustrating. ESS has contacted Best Western and at first they said to come get my deposit and apologized for the inconvenience, but then when I actually come to the location, they still said they wont give me my money back, and told me "it is not child's play, and that we can say that the costs will be covered all we want but they wont be releasing any payment back." It was frustrating because they said they needed documentation even though I sent them the initial referral from ESS that reflects what they are needing. To me, it seems like a quick way to take advantage of vulnerable people who are already dealing with high amounts of stress. At first I did not have an issue with paying for a deposit but then coming to hear that they were not supposed to do this, and then refused to give it back, just frustrating having to dealing with this hotel. We have tried sorting it out with them prior to this review, but they seem to be more about taking money from vulnerable individuals and families, than doing what is right, which is too bad, as there are some staff who are super accommodating and kind at this location. We have since switched hotels who are much more accommodating and empathetic! Pretty disheartening as people who are most vulnerable and are forced out of their homes are put in such bad situations where they are pretty much robbed of their money even though it was made very clear costs were being covered by Emergency Support Services. Hopefully things change in the future so that this can be avoided in any other future event of emergency.
More pricey then the better hotels in the area. Toilet couldn't flush Toilet paper even, trash left outside rooms from when we checked in till we left. Some lights were burnt out in the room. Stains on the bed top blanket. Beer cans all over the parking lot. No parking so we had to park on a busy street with a bunch of guys in hoodies watching us. Switched hotels and were way happier.
We were not informed that there are no housekeeping service due to the pandemic! We returned to our dirty room in the evening, bed not made, garbage not emptied, no clean towels. Best Western uses the pandemic as an excuse to cut necessary services. We won't be back!
Very comfortable and clean hotel. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The only reason I will avoid staying at this location would be because of the parking. There is not enough parking when this hotel is almost fully booked. The fact that it also shares the parking lot with a Holiday Inn hotel, does not help.
My niece and her son stayed here for two nights. They arrived exhausted from a very long road trip only to find they'd been given the wrong room. They had booked two queens and got a King and a very narrow cot. She's chose this hotel partly because the advertising said that breakfast was included only to find that breakfast was not included and they had to go out to get breakfast. On the second day, she opened the microwave to heat some water and found old food from a previous guest. The room was generally not clean. I definitely would not recommend this hotel.
Clean the room! The toilet was absolutely disgusting. it wasn't cleaned poorly, it wasn't cleaned at all, there was urine splashed all over the bowl and the seat, there was so much hair on the bowl behind the seat and I have many photos if anyone is interested. The coffee machine was disturbingly filthy, I had to use a pot and make tea and coffee. There was hairs all over the bathroom. I realize we are in uncertain times but when a hotel claims to put extra effort into cleaning and doesn't clean the toilet at all, that's unacceptable!
Convenient location right off the highway. Clean rooms, spacious and modern. AC blows cold and strong. No free breakfast though as there is a Ricky's on the premise. Also, never got my 500 points as per my Gold.member status. Would stay here again.
As always, our stay at the Vernon BW was very comfortable. We always have a good night's sleep on their very comfortable beds, the bathrooms are always extremely clean and the toiletries they provide (shampoo, conditioner, soap) smell sooo good and don't dry out your hair. We appreciate that they allow pets, so for the first time, we brought our small dog. He adapted very well and also had a good stay.
After driving our son to Princeton, we stopped at the Best Western Pacific. After a long day of driving, we were looking for a hotel. We did not have a reservation, but the front desk staff quickly helped us get checked in.
As a weary traveller in the midst of a move, after a 15 hour day driving, I could go no further. I had no reservation but as a rewards member knew I would find a welcome at 11 pm. Sure enough, I got a lovely, quiet room, put the goodies from the cooler in the fridge, caught up on my emails, and fell asleep exhausted until my wakeup call. Thanks so much for a refreshing stop where I feel at home on the road everywhere I go. First time at this BW in Vernon.
We were exhausted after a few gruelling days packing up to move. We slept like babies in the quiet, comfortable, clean room with very comfy beds. The Ricky's restaurant at the hotel had good food, good wine and friendly service. After our hectic week we totally enjoyed our choice in hotels.
We were reluctant to try this hotel as we had such a terrible experience at the Best Western Plus in Kelowna in early July. We were so pleased with the Best Western in Vernon. Will definitely stay here again. Never at the one in Kelowna but definitely this one in Vernon.
Starting with very friendly people at check in and great Covid protections, we really enjoyed our stay. The rooms are very nice, the bathrooms very luxe. We had a kitchen suite with full stove and fridge. There wasn't a lot of dishware but I think that most things have been removed for Covid so one simply needs to ask. Laundry on the main floor was nice to have and the front desk staff knew the timing for the washer and dryer which impressed me so that I didn't have to do multiple trips to see if the cycle was done. Highly recommended.
We got a kitchen but the dishwasher isnt working so we have to wash our dishes manually all the time. We complained but it wasnt fixed. When We arrived the cutleries kept inside the drawer were so dirty, it had food particles stuck to it. The mugs & plates were also oily and had a ton of fingerprints to it. We have to wash it again. We feel like the room was not disinfected and cleaned enough. The carpet was dark brown in color so looking from afar it doesnt look dirty But when we looked down it was dusty, had food particles under the table and sauces were even On the floor/ carpet (from the previous stays)&werent cleaned! We didnt feel comfortable walking barefoot on the carpet! The carpet needs a wash for sure. Its just a dirty room. Also i booked for 5 people. Why did they just give 1 shampoo, 1 conditioner & 1 soap? I have to ask downstairs. Its just hard cos theres no room service due to covid so i have to go down and do it.. its a no brainer if you book for 5 people cos we also pay extra per head. Location was nice though since its near groceries/mall and its only 8 mins away from the lovely Davison orchards. We would have enjoyed our stay if the dishwasher was working and if the room was clean.
We chose this hotel because it was pet friendly and electric car friendly, having a charger available for guests. We planned to charge at night and made 2 appointments the next day. The room was fine but we asked about the charger as it didn't seem to work properly, front desk staff weren't aware of the charger or the problem. She had to ask the manager and gave a vague explanation about the problem saying maybe it wasn't fixed. We plugged in, it seemed to work, but in the morning, no charge at all. We spent the morning hunting for an open charger, making us late for our appointments. I asked Front desk staff to post an out of order sign on it and they replied that it is not their machine, they know nothing about it. That lack of initiative and willingness to keep amenities in good order for clients is disappointing. Get it fixed, make an effort!
The room was clean and absolutely adequate but a bit gross to have so many dirty linens tossed out on the hallway floor in front of almost all the rooms in the morning. Didn't feel very Covid friendly in that aspect. Air conditioning/fan worked well and was not too loud. A bit tight on space but again, adequate. I would not stay again due to poor customer service. The only person who seemed pleasant was the (English?) lady at reception as we departed. 1 to collect some. We went out for dinner and when we returned at 10:00 pm, there was no parking available. I went in to ask and an old man working at reception couldn't have cared less. He told me the hotel is fully booked so park on the street. I waited a moment for instruction i.e. what street, what direction? Maybe he forgot that tourists stay at hotels and may not be familiar with the area. I usually feel that I can depend on Best Western for a comfortable stay but now I am not so sure.
By far the best rate we got on our week holiday. Friendly staff, rooms were clean & staff wore masks. Would definitely stay at the hotel again if we go to Vernon in the future. Went into town for a lovely dinner. MT
I never stayed in such a dirty hotel like Bestwestern in Vernon. It will be my last visit in this company. Whatever I touch, everywhere dirt, dust, someone long black hair in the bathroom and on the towel, stack on leftover food on night table by the bed, windows is all dirty in fingerprints and faceprints. Floors are dirty and have not vacuumed at all. There website stating that after each client, each room is sanitized, this is a complete deception! My advice to you, if you do not want to pick anything here, including COVID, choose another hotel that really performs what should be done for your convenience and most important safety. Asked to change room, receptionist told me that they doesn't have anything available and they can't return my money because there return policy. Forgot to tell, I'm bussiness traveler, BestWestern Platinum member, staying in room 416 on July 2020. If I will get COVID it will be definitely from this place! I will include pictures if it will allowed me if somebody skeptical & thinking that I am too prejudiced.
stayed one night while on extended road trip, easy and convenient. Excellent front desk, rooms were very clean. Very much appreciated staff following health guidelines during covide 19 pandemic. Will definitely stay here again
The Pacific Inn is doing all the right things to make sure their property is COVID19 aware and taking steps to keep their customers safe. From sanitizing your credit card before handing back, plexiglass between you and the front desk to special table for food delivery, they are working hard to keep the virus away. Connie at the front desk is fantastic and does everything she can to make your stay comfortable. The rooms are nice and clean. The location is good with a grocery store nearby and a Ricky's restaurant on site. I highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting Vernon for work or pleasure.
Although the hotel appears to be relatively new, with the furniture and fixtures fairly modern and new. First impressions can be deceiving. We stayed here for three nights, and it was our first stay in a hotel during the Covid-19 crisis. There are notices all over the lobby about precautions they are taking related to Covid-19... But this appears to be just marketing. Although the room is fairly spactious and modern, I found the cleanliness of the room to be sadly lacking. To be specific, I happened to spill a bit of juice on the tile floor near the mini-fridge. So I took a tissue to wipe it up. The tissue came up BLACK from all the dirt and grime on the floor. The floors are dark brown ceramic tile, with a faux wood grain, so the dirt is not obvious if just looking at the floor. I then took more damp tissue to wipe more of the floor, and the entire floor was filthy dirty, as though it had never been mopped in probably a year. The wet tissues became black from grime with just a few wipes of the floor. This is truly disgusting. I have never written a bad review for a hotel in my life. I don't have ridiculously high expectations, and do not expect perfection. This lack of BASIC cleaning, during a time when they purport to be making "extra effort" during Covid-19, it really disappointing. All their talk about cleaning standards is just that, talk, but no action. It makes me wonder if they clean anything in the room at all. Did they actually sanitize high touch surfaces?? I doubt it. I feel like I need to go out and buy some disinfectant and clean the room myself.
I was a little concerned travelling with Covid 19, but the check in , room cleanliness, signage was great. The noise from the roadway is noisy if you sleep with the window open, as we did . Lost my earring down the drain of the sink, the front desk staff called someone in immediately to retrieve it.
We can always count on friendly service, clean room/bathroom and a very comfortable sleep at the Vernon BW. We visit our family/grandchild frequently and after trying other hotels, we will always return to the BW.
stayed at the Best Western Pacific Inn Vernon on business, comfortable beds, excellent service both hotel and restaurant. Glad was able to have the dine in experience it was compliant with the Covid 19 protocols and good food and friendly attentive service.
No covid-19 awareness by front desk. I had checked-in online prior to arrival expecting a contactless check-in process. This was not the case. Was asked to use a pen lying on the counter to complete check-in form and my credit card was handled by check-in staff not wearing gloves and then handed back to me. Even though plexiglass was present at front counter, check-in staff stood straight in front of me (not in front of plexiglass) without a mask on. Made for an anxious stay.
Room and decor were great value. The bedding and pillows was pure luxury. I definitely would recommend this hotel The value for cost was superior. If you do not have a vehicle you will have to walk a bit to get to shopping centre.
This Best Western was an excellent find. The staff were friendly and helpful. We wre offered an upgrade to a suite with a kitchen on the quieter side and it was great. The room, lobby and public areas were all very clean and well-maintained. The morning coffee in the lobby was excellent. There were discounts offered at three restaurants It is in a great location on the road up to Silver Star. We will stay again when travelling through this area.
We have stayed several times at the Best Western Pacific in Vernon, BC and the accommodations and service have consistently been excellent. It is apparent that the staff are concerned about providing you with the best stay possible with their caring and dedicated service. It's great to have access to laundry service and coffee in the lobby every morning. The cleanliness and maintenance of the facility and rooms are impeccable.
We frequently stay at Best Western when traveling to visit family in the area. We've tried other hotels, but Best Western is the cleanest and friendliest and we feel safe there. We find the beds very comfortable.
Was looking forward to visiting family for Christmas in Vernon , although the long drive wasn't something to look forward especially in winter. Arrived at the Hotel ahead of time and they had our room ready with an upgrade which was a very pleasant surprise. Staff as usual was more than accommodating like they always have been with my many stays there.Room was excellent for anyone needing a full kitchen but we did immensely enjoy the extra space. accommodations are great and the Hotel bar and grille " Ricky's " was more than adequate for dinning.
I Always stay at the bestwestern in Vernon when I'm in town. Really Nice rooms great value! The restaurant has really good food. The staff r always Nice& helpful. Lots of parking& a great location. Honestly ur best bet!
Check in/out was great. Our king room-excellent! Bed was so comfortable!! Room was quiet. We will stay again! Only complaint was about the dryer, in the guest laundry. It took forever to dry a light load. :(
We recently needed a place to stay while in Vernon and this hotel fit the bill. It was very central to all we did, had ample places to eat of visit nearby and was conveniently located near the highway. The room was a decent size and the bed comfy. We would definitely stay here again and found the staff to be welcoming and friendly.
Stayed at this Best Western for one night. The room was very clean with very comfortable bed, the bathroom was very well stocked with towels and toiletries. The front desk staff was very efficient and friendly both on arrival and departure.
The room was very clean, but somewhat sparse for a kitchenette. There was not a proper knife for cutting vegetables etc. if you needed to make a meal. At first the room also lacked a dishcloth and dish towel. There is also no drying tray for dishes etc.
Overall the stay was fine, restaurant and amenities were good. only problems were, seemed A\\c was on in the hallways the whole time spent there when it was cold outside giving me a chill when coming inside, and the faucet handle was not working properly in the bathroom.
check in was very good . check out was very good Staff was very helpful and pleasant. We had good take out from Rickeys. this property is close to the Casino and shopping. The beds were comfy, the room was clean except for the floor, I spilled some water and cleaned it up with tissue and the tissue came back .The 2nd day house keeping only left us 1 face cloth. Beverages are left out all day and night . There are 3 computers for your use
An enjoyable stay at the Vernon Best Western. All staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The proximity of this hotel to the Casino was important to us. It is a short walk across the street and a parking lot. The bed was very comfortable and clean as was the room overall. Front parking lot is well lit. Overall I would definitely recommend staying at the Vernon Best Western.
The room was large and well furnished and we had two nights here. The front desk staff were excellent and very helpful. Lots of places to eat and visit locally, but do not use the grill attached to the hotel. Nice place to stay.
Not 100% smoke free as advertised. Staff and guests smoke 2 feet from entrance and exit Not very pet friendly. No place I.e grass area to take your pet to the bathroom. No poop bags, no pet bowls and carpeted floors are not suitable for pets. Would not stay here again.
Nice place to stay at but no pool and food at restaurant really needs improvement. Staff was friendly enough, and rooms were clean. I'm not too sure what else to say to reach the minimum of 200 characters... there lol
Very nice, well kept establishment, friendly and effective staff. Good place to stay at. Be aware though that unlike most best western hotels, this one is not equipped with a pool or a jacuzzi. I do recommend the place though.
Check in was pleasant and quick, being a Diamond member, I was offered my upgrade and options for bonus points. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the kitchenette convenient for making a quick meal . We stayed 3 days. This BW does not provide a free breakfast, so that is one thing I missed. Check out was just as fast and pleasant. I would stay here again should I come by again.
My wife and I planned a quick trip to Vernon wanting to get some fruit and visit the drive in movies at Enderby. Hotel was exactly what we needed. Clean, simple, easy to find, parking. We had a great sleep, beds were comfortable and staff was great. Only thing I will say is don't eat at the Ricky's. We were both ill after eating simple wraps, and ended up not being able to go to our movie. Looked it up afterwards and restaurant was ranked 126/130 in Vernon. I feel bad that hotel staff has such an awful restaurant on property that they have to support. Only reason. I can't give a 5 is restaurant was suggested by desk.
An early check in was friendly and speedy (we had pre booked via the BW App). The spacious king room was clean and pre cooled. It is so nice to have a bathroom with adequate space and a high elongated toilet (a soft close lid would be a nice touch). The bed was comfy and the pillows great. We were provided with a 10% discount for dinner and five dollar vouchers for our meals at their house Ricki's restaurant (which is excellent). This will be our go accommodation when passing through Vernon in the future.
It is a nice hotel, it was quiet and the black out curtains were good for sleeping. The small sofa in the sitting area was appreciated. We only stayed for two nights but would consider staying longer in the future if we need to.
Best Western has made this and many other hotels accessible to clients who need special acommodations when traveling. This includes things like wheel in showers large enough to be used by most full sized people. The beds can be too high for people in wheelchairs who cannot weight bear. I managed to get on the bed from my wheelchair but I am fairly strong with good hand/arm control. The beds are comfortable and not too difficult to move around on. The fold out couch was only a single bed and below wheelchair height but strangely comfortable for me but definitely not for all people. Overall I would recommend most accessible Best Western hotels as providing accessible acomodations better than most other hotels.
The stay was pleasant and the room well appointed, but some issues were experienced including poor in room lighting, plumbing fixtures that were not working properly (shower head and plugged sink drain) luke warm hot water. Staff were pleasant and accommodating. Service was good.
Nice hotel BUT, I expected a pool and hot tub and complimentary breakfast that we are accustomed to with Best Western. My bad for not doing more research. Staff were excellent. Beds and room amenities excellent. Value is mediocre as a 3 night stay was over 600$, taxes included.
We have stayed here a few times in the past and will be staying here again in the future. We find that the hotel is well appointed and is a nice pleasant place to stay. It is fair value for the cost of the rooms.
this is an incredible value for the price! we had a perfect kitchen suite . what a joy to stay here ,we will be back again . it was our 51 st anniversary and there was a bottle of wine and a vase of roses waiting for our arrival !!
My husband and I stopped as were driving through to lake Louise. We found the room to be spacious and the bed was comfortable. We appreciated the little kitchenette and felt all needs were met, from a television guide to coffee for the morning.
I always seek out Best Western Hotels when I travel, as they are consistently comfortable, clean, and staffed by pleasant, helpful people. I always have a comfortable bed, good sleep, and a refreshing experience.
I've stayed in many hotels over the years and never been this disappointed. Beds really uncomfortable, paper thin rough sheets and very noisy could hear doors slamming shut all night. I will not stay at B/W again.
Excellent and friendly hotel. Suites with kitchen for a longer say and well located for the surrounding area, lakes, ski resorts etc. Deals available on attached restaurant though bizarrely the bar has ho beers on tap. Only downside was that Best Western reneged on booking promotion of 1000 points per night, not good Best Western.
We have found Best Western hotels acceptable but not really a good value for the price we were in Vernon on a family emergency and The Vernon one was the closets hotel where we needed to be. What a surprise this place was spotless with many little things such as flowers in the lobby fridge and microwave in the room very comfortable beds etc. But the best thing was all the staff especially Connie at the front desk , from the young lady at the bar, the waitresses in the Ricky's restaurant to the helpful room attendants (we lost a eye glass lens and they turned the whole 4th. floor upside down to find it). We travel on a budget but next time were in Vernon even if the room rate here was more than at a hotel with comparable amenities we would pay extra to again be made to feel very appreciated.
Helpful staff. The rooms are very clean, airy and well decorated. Breakfast is not included but there is an on-site restaurant, and the hotel provides a voucher. It's also close for shopping, eateries and sight seeing.
Very good location. It was nice having the restaurant there, and the discount vouchers offered for meals. The front desk staff were very helpful and accommodating. Getting me wine glasses and a corkscrew from the restaurant.
In town for business and booked for one night, all good fast friendly and welcoming. Got held over and needed a second night after checking out that morning. Staff was helpful prompt and made the process easy. Comfortable hotel, great location, easy to get to. My first choice when in Vernon.
Only here one night on the way to Calgary. Nicely located on the north side of Vernon which makes a quick getaway in the morning. No breakfast but they provide $$ off certificates for the attached Ricky's restaurant.
Excellent front desk customer service personnel, both at check-in and check-out. Room very comfortable with plenty of room, and very clean. Great location to travel to the Silver Star Ski Resort. Restaurant right next door to the Inn, and you receive a $5.00 discount coupon for breakfast.
We spent a couple nights here recently. This is a very good Best Western, the room was very spacious, nicely laid out. It would be easy to spend a longer period of time here, for example if you were working or taking a course. The hotel seems to be quite new, the public space is very pleasantly appointed and very close to a complete shopping centre with restaurants and all manner of amenities. There is a Ricky's restaurant as part of the building , we were given $5 vouchers to apply to the breakfast menu. The hotel is on the road to Silverstar ski resort which was perfect for us. Quiet location, we only heard road noise in the morning. We paid $105 per night which we thought was very good value. All staff were very friendly and efficient. The room was very clean and the bed was great.
Very friendly and helpful staff that ensure your stay is comfortable by providing excellent service. Room was very clean and tasteful. Quiet except for some highway noise on North side of hotel. Would stay there again.
The check in was a complete mess I was quoted 3 different rates I don't know if she was trying to jack up the price or what the deal was. the girls attitude "A" was horrible she should not be in any job that deals with customers, the room looked fine upon first inspection. But when I went to have a bath there was hairs in the tub, I phoned down hoping to have someone clean it, no answer....waited 15 minutes, no answer again. Finally went down there and found the girl outside smoking chatting away. Explained I would like my tub cleaned or a new room? She said there's no housekeeping on....I realize most hotels don't have housekeepers at 9pm I was just hoping you could come clean my tub! I actually did it myself with a facecloth and bar soap. The bed was very comfortable though I will say that! The check out would have been fine accept for the fact a housekeeper and front desk person were almost yelling at each other? When I asked who the general manager was the response was what really did it in for me "I have no idea anymore". I've heard there is going to be a new Best Western in Vernon soon, I hope it's run better than this one.
This hotel and the HIE next door have the SAME owners (the two properties even share a parking lot). This was VERY helpful during our group booking. We needed a meeting room for TWO days during our stay, but our hotel only had a meeting room available for ONE day...well, the common ownership took care of that problem! For our second day of meetings, we simply had to walk across the parking lot to the property next door. Problem SOLVED! We didn't have to do anything. Connie at the front desk of the BW Pacific Inn took care of everything seamlessly! We were also able to use the hot tub next door. The hotel rooms appear to have been recently renovated. The entrance to my room was done up in the MODERN style of faux wood flooring at the entrance and the bathroom. The bathroom and the rest of the room was SPOTLESS. There were lots of extra plug-ins needed in this 21st century, and the room was equipped with a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Please note, the vast majority of the rooms in this hotel are King rooms, so check if you need two Queens or two Doubles. Several restaurants and a mall were within walking distance. The business centre was excellent, parking was free, and my corporate rate was C$110. Bottom line, we were VERY well taken care of during our stay, and the staff used the common ownership of the two hotels to our maximum advantage. Well done!
I really enjoy my stays at this hotel. The location is a short walk to a mall with a cafe, bakery and food court and even closer to a supermarket. It is at the turn off to silverstar so easy to get to Vernon's restaurants, etc or to the mountain. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. The mini fridge, sink and counter for food is appreciated, even in the standard room. This place has become my Vernon go-to as the value is excellent.
So i actually frequent this hotel regularly, I've never written a review for the hotel itself but it's always been decent. Very comfy bed, i usually check in late and J is hilarious. Sooo in the middle of the afternoon today i hear what sounds like police in the hallway or authoritatively figures...i poke my head out and border enforcement people are questioning their staff. I don't know what was said or why, what i did see was one of the housekeepers leave with one of them. The hotel atmosphere changed after, I'll be back but I'd rather not see police or anything like this again it makes the stay uncomfortable!
Met expectations for a best western. Front desk Service was good, room was clean, and price was suitable. 4/5 because Matress was extremely hard. We had a king bed- not sure if they are the same age as, say, queens.
This Best Western seems to close to everything we needed, Food, restaurants and drug stores. The room was exceptional, really can not say more. Perfect location, no outside sound to bother us. We knew the rooms beside us were occupied but did not hear a thing.
Well the photos they have posted with a sports car parked outside make it seem like some upscale hotel were one might run into a local celebrity. It's Vernon get over yourselves its a 3 star hotel not a Fairmont. Onto the review! I stayed at this Hotel for 2 days for business, I ended up checking in late and it was an older gentlemen who checked me in. I wouldn't say he was rude but he wasn't very personable either, he tried to bait me into talking politics but I politely nodded and preferred not to partake. I noticed the restaurant was closed and asked him when they open to which he told me 6 30 am, but not before finishing with a warning that I should re think my decision on the breakfast matter...er ok then! Off to my room, nothing wrong with the room itself it seemed. Nice bed, nice décor, ahhh then came daylight it was all a rouge! Hairs in the tub and some spots around the toilet. I phoned down to ask if I could get this fixed and whoever I talked to seemed to be quite stressed...they told me housekeeping started at 8am, It was only 7 15 so I guess I had to wait. I headed down for breakfast, I guess I should of listened to my watcher of the night. Awful oh dear god It was awful, i'll write that review separately. It was now 8 30 and I stopped by the desk again to ask to get my room touched up, well two people were yelling at each other in the back office...that's professional. When I was finally acknowledged I was assured they would send a housekeeper right away,...40 minutes nothing still. So I decided to wash the hair's down the tub as I needed to shower. Now in the middle of said shower I'm positive I heard my room door open and shut immediately but since I didn't actually see anyone I will leave it at that. When I got out of the shower I could hear people yelling...I got dressed and stuck my head out the door and it was two housekeepers! Right in the middle of the hallway! I've stayed in a lot of hotels and I can honestly say I've never seen anything like this, every employee I ran into seemed either stressed to the teeth or were going to kill each other. I even heard employees bad mouthing other ones numerous times I have no doubt other guests heard this as well. The hotel itself is fine but my 48 hours in your hotel felt like a High School locker room, I can't imagine Vernon is that hard to get a job in that you have to stay in one you hate so much? I won't be back for a while I'm hoping you get complete staff over haul by the next time I dare try your hotel.
The staff are super friendly and very accomodating. The rooms are nice and always clean. Everything is well maintained. We were there to ski so the location was perfect for going to Silverstar resort.
I had a one night stay in Vernon and was told by a fellow employee about the BW Pacific Inn. It is a clean, well kept hotel. Alyssa at the front desk was very helpful. It was very reasonably priced, but it is not the tourist season.
I tried to check in on January 4th but had an issue with my credit card. How embarrassing! Alysa was on duty at the front desk and was so patient and understanding, did not make me feel uncomfortable about what had happened. After a visit to the local branch of my credit union, I returned believing the problem with the credit card had been corrected, but it hadn't. She let me check in using my debit card instead and was so concerned about my problem. The hotel was lovely, nice large rooms, one of the most comfortable beds and pillows of recent times. Great location too, close to everything. Later on in the night, when there was no milk available to make tea, she went out of her way to find some for me to use. Best customer service anywhere! She also gave me an additional discount at the restaurant for breakfast as she sensed that I was so embarrassed by what had happened to me. I will absolutely be back next time in town.
We have stayed at Best Western, Vernon several times in the past year. We have always felt comfortable in the clean rooms and the very comfortable beds. I always bring my own pillow when traveling, but the pillows here give me a great sleep and no headache in the morning. The staff at the front counter are always pleasant and accomodating.
The location is central to everything and has nice, large clean rooms. With the exception of one hotel staff, everything about our stay was excellent. We would definitely stay here again the next time we are in Vernon.
We found this hotel to be reasonably priced. Rooms were well appointed and very clean. The hotel is quiet and staff are friendly and professional. We would stay here again. The fitness room was great. The only down side was the Ricky's Restaurant on site. It was a disappointment. Breakfast menu and service were fine, but the service we had at dinner time was mediocre at best. I prefer a Best Western that includes a breakfast buffet. The front desk staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive.
The hotel is conveniently located right along Hwy 97; it is easy to access and close to amenities like restaurants and shopping. Check in was quick, and the staff is pleasant. The room was clean and in a good condition. We were a bit disappointed that there was no swimming pool with this hotel, but there is an agreement with the neighbouring Holiday Inn Express across the parking lot, to use their indoor pool facilities. There was a minor inconvenience at check-out, when we couldn't find the front desk clerk and there were some pet charges on our bill that didn't apply to us, but the issue was quickly resolved. Would stay here again when in the Vernon area.
The rooms are clean and comfortable. The Staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel was in a convenient location to shopping and Tim Hortons. The food in the restaurant was fantastic every time that we ate in there.
We have stayed here 3 times now and our stays are always pleasant. The hotel is new and well appointed. We had lots of space in our room and everything worked well. Although we did not use it this time, the attached restaurant, Rickey's, is a nice option.
The hotel was really easy to find and just a few minutes from everything. The staff was really personable and helpful. Room was clean and up to date as well as fully stocked. Beds were comfy and area surrounding hotel was really quiet.
We stayed for two nights with our little dog. Great modern hotel with spacious, clean rooms and friendly staff. Ticked all the boxes for us and would definitely recommend it. Convenient to many amenities including the Casino.
Everything was great, friendly staff and convenient location. Near by Casino ( which was unfortunately closed earlier ). Shopping mall centre and all kinds of restaurant. Will definitely will stay there
Clean and comfy rooms with an accommodating staff. It's my favourite place to stay in Vernon. The restaurant on the main floor is decent but there is many in the vicinity. The casino is a 2 min walk away. The noise from the highway is almost nil.
Loved my stay at the Best Western Pacific Inn. The staff were great - when I checked in it was quick and painless. They upgraded me to a larger room which was great as I was on business. When I didn't have shampoo in the morning they were quick to bring up. Ate dinner and breakfast at the Ricky's in the hotel, great service both times.
We love Best Western because we know the beds will be comfy and the rooms will be clean but this one left us disappointed. Our first room had a broken toilet and the carpet hadn't been vacuumed. They moved us to another room with no problems but the second room wasn't that clean either. As usual, the bed was comfy but I hope they clean things up cause there is nothing worse than finding someone else's down there hair, in the bathroom sink .
We booked a number of rooms in this hotel for a family get together. The accommodations and staff were great especially when we needed to make changes. Having access to the pool in the property next door was great for the kids. The only downside was the onsite restaurant - Ricky's. We tried three night straight to be served dinner but were turned away.
Booked in here with Air Miles. Given a very nice room. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Some traffic noise from street, but that's to be expected when located on busy road. Would definitely stay here again.
Way over priced !! When I made my reservation my quoted price was approx. 134.00 which I was fine with. When checking out the final bill ended up being 179.00 and we did not use any other amenities. There are so many hidden taxes they don't tell you about, what is City Tax Destination ???Never heard of that one ! And after paying this amount of money...NO breakfast included, you are expected to buy your own. This place is a total rip off !!! Will not be using this hotel again !!
Very nice hotel inside and out, good location, close to restaurants and shopping, very nice rooms and decent prices. Restaurant at hotel is also very good! I highly recommend this hotel to stay at if you are passing through Vernon!
We stayed just 1 night near the beginning of August. There was my husband and I, and our 15 yr old daughter. We were in town to see family, so we really just needed a safe comfortable place to sleep. Check-in was very quick, staff was friendly. First impression of the hotel and room was good... clean and modern. We had a room on the 2nd floor, had 1 king bed and a queen pull out. The king bed was comfortable, a little on the firm side. The room was well equipped with a mini fridge, hair dryer... all the necessities. I liked that there was an extra mirror with counter outside of the bathroom, so my daughter and I could both get ready at the same time! My husband went to the lobby in the morning to get the complimentary coffee, it was fresh, and quite good. The only thing to make note of (depending on your length of stay and reason for visit), is that the hotel isn't in an area where you're going to walk to much of anything, however It's a quick drive to restaurants, the lake etc. The night we stayed, we had a good sleep, not a lot of noise. Guests: Please be aware that not everyone gets up as early as your children like to run down halls! It's rude, please stop it, thanks! (This is not speaking of just this hotel, but pretty much every hotel we've been to in the past 10 years or so) Overall, it felt like good value.
While in Vernon on business we stayed at the Best Western Pacific Inn, in Vernon. The hotel is very nice. The staff were helpful and kind. Our room was clean and spacious. There was of couch and coffee table, so we weren't stuck sitting on wooden chairs. There was a desk as well. The bed was a king size, and man was it comfortable (firm). Breakfast was not included but they offered a voucher for $5.00 off at the attached Ricky's Restaurant. You also got 15% off for other meals. We took advantage of this. No surprises here. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to you all!
The decor is excellent and everything is new although starting to show the wear and tear from a busy summer. It was easy to check in and out. The lobby is spacious and classy. The staff could use some more confidence but they are friendly although hard to understand as everyone has an accent. The restaurant while much improved still has serious issues to work out. I would personally like to see the smoking area moved further away from the lobby doors as it was difficult unloading with smokers there. I can't imagine all the people with breathing issues who park in the handicap spots appreciate having to unload luggage and walk by smokers either. With all this said it is a lovely hotel and I will stay again.
Very comfortable, quiet rooms. They've improved their tv reception which used to be an issue. Good location, close to the casino, restaurants, the highway, the grocery store and all the things you need. The only disappointment is that there isn't a breakfast included.
As a family 5 we have trouble finding hotels that can accommodate us at a reasonable price. We loved the suite we had, and the kitchen had everything you would need. The staff weren't overly helpful with information but we were only there one night so it wasn't a big deal. The Ricky's restaurant on site is definitely not the best we've been to. I would recommend the hotel but not the restaurant.
My family and I typically visit the Okanagan every other year. My in-law travelled with us so we needed a place that can accomodate 6 person (3 adults and 3 kids). The room had 2 queen beds, a sofa bed and a kitchenette. The hotel looks like it's been updated fairly recently, only thing that looks dated is the carpet. Staffs are helpful and nice enough to answer a few questions I had about the area. They provided a breakfast voucher for 2 which we never used as there are 6 of us and we can make breakfast in the room. Hotel is close to groceries as well, about 5 min drive. Only thing my kids was disappointed because there is no pool in the hotel though you can use the pool at the adjacent hotel owned by another company.
Lots of traffic noise on the corner of 2 busy roads 48th Ave. and highway 97. A lot of big truck and motorcycle traffic! It started at 5 A.M and did not end until midnight. If sleep is important choose another hotel. Also 6% destination city tax added to bill no valid explanation given for charge?????
I stayed 2 nights over the August long weekend. The staff were wonderful, service fantastic, the hotel overall was spotless and my room was very comfortable. Perfect, in fact. My only criticism, and one that was a real problem for me was the lack of parking. Each evening when I returned the lot was full. Not a single parking space available. I had to park quite a distance down a dark, unlit street and walk a fair way to get to my room. As a woman travelling alone in a town I am not familiar with, this was a big problem for me. There are two hotels that share a parking lot. There is no way that this small lot could accommodate every guest of both hotels and it baffles me as to why this wouldn't have been designed to accommodate vehicles and account for both hotels being at full capacity. Besides the parking issue, everything else was fantastic.
well located with easy access from both sides of the city of Vernon , very clean, reasonable rates ,friendly staff ,would definitely stay again although it would be nice to have a continental breakfast,
Everyone greeted us with enthusiasm and smiles and everyone was very, very helpful. We had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel. The location worked very well for us as well. Excellent place to stay.We enjoyed our stay immensely!!!
We had a suite for the 4 of us and it was nice. We had a kitchen and small living room. Staff was excellent and very friendly. Small but nice gym. Very clean rooms. Air conditioning worked well and we were here when it was 42 degrees Celsius. Would stay here again. Only thing is kitchens could be stocked with a few more utensils for cooking. Also carpet needs restretchiing. Cleaning staff were very good.
Our room was very clean with a amazingly comfortable bed. Room was a good size with a great shower. However, we faced 48th avenue and traffic was busy and loud. I recommend to book a room facing the parking lot on the other side of hotel. It might be quieter.
Had an amazing time with family. Wonderful and friendly staff!!! Would have been 5 if they had their own amenities, pool, breakfast etc. Overall enjoyed our stay. Clean, decent rooms and courteous staff!
Parking is ridiculous. Many narrow lines labelled small car but rest are tight anyway. Was common to see trucks taking up two spots. Lot is between and shared by two major chain hotels. There is no continental breakfast etc as found in other Best Western. A Ricky's Grill attached just off the lobby so a $5 voucher is given. Two frayed towels and crepe paper toilet paper a couple signs of penny pinching. Won't be back.
Convenient off the highway. Stayed 2 nights. Very comfortable room and quiet ac unit. Good fitness centre which also has some free weights. Coffee in the lobby. No included breakfast but an attached Ricky's grill. You get a discount coupon to have breakfast there. I had a bad experience last time so went elsewhere. Very nice front desk staff. Very good visit and I'll be back again.
We stayed here while in Vernon. The staff at check-in were quick & professional. The rooms are nice and very clean. They have a Ricky's Restaurant which is attached to the hotel which was very convenient. Plus the hotel gives each person a $5 Off voucher for your meal at the restaurant. Over-all this is an excellent choice for a hotel in Vernon.
Lovely hotel, good location. The rooms are very nice and both the bed and the pillows are very comfortable. The front desk was very pleasant and helpful. We were each given a $5.00 voucher for breakfast next door at Ricky's which was very much appreciated
Great place to stay. My only complaint would be the internet service was horrid. I was in the room farthest from the lobby but others in our party closer found internet fine. Enjoyed the coffee bar being available through out the day.
We stayed for two nights. Our room was on the 3rd floor and faced the car park. We were directly across from the elevator but this did not cause any issues. The room was comfortable. The hotel is a little out of town so you will need to drive or get a taxi if you fancy eating out downtown. For breakfast, there is a Tim Hortons and McDonalds five minutes away by car. One minor complaint, we had used the in room coffee maker and a mug on our first night, this was not cleaned/replaced when the room was made up.
Very clean and great staff. The location is very convenient. The only complaint I have is that the doors need to fit better to be more sound proof. People coming down the hall were very loud and disturbed me numerous times.
Checked in early - not a problem. We tried to hook up the wireless and couldn't connect, but the staff took it on (almost like a personal challenge!) and got it working. Front desk was also very helpful with different directions that I needed. It's been a while since I saw staff go the extra mile like this staff did. Great price too, compared to the other hotels that are in the same vicinity. Highly recommended.
Checked into this hotel last week. Unsmiling woman at check in desk informed me a hold would be placed on my credit card and presented me with the debit machine to authorize the hold. I was surprised to see they wanted to put $250 on my card for the $135.00 room. When I objected, the woman told me to "take it or leave it." When I asked to speak to the manager was rudely told that person was not available. Tired after our journey, we checked in but I was not happy with the hold. Then imagine my delight and surprise the next day when I checked my credit card and discovered an additional hold of another $250 had been put on my card. So now $500 for a $135 room. Totally unacceptable. Contacted Customer Service and heard NOTHING. Filled out survey which arrived in my inbox and heard NOTHING. (On same trip, stayed at a Marriott property which put on a hold too: 160 for a 135 room.) Guess I'll stay at a Marriott next time in Vernon. Oh, there's one right down the street from the Pacific Inn!
Lovely staff at check in and check out. Our room was nice and clean and quiet. Beds were comfortable and the room met all our needs. There was complimentary lemon water and coffee and tea in the lobby which was nice. Great for an overnight stay when travelling.
Brand new hotel with guest laundry, fitness center, friendly staff. Was all good for my trip. Plus I visit my friend there as well. There's no Continental breakfast but offered Ricky's Voucher instead which is ok. We will definitely stay there next time when we going to Vernon.
No buffet, just a $5 discount at the attached understaffed restaurant. Long wait, grumpy staff cold food, not a staff problem - a management problem. Room clean, comfortable and quiet and housekeeping service was good.
A very well appointed facility. The staff were courteous & helpful throughout. Rooms were well appointed, clean and serviced appropriately. Enjoyable stay, it will be my `Ìnn of Choice`should I revisit Vernon.
Only advice I can give is to request a room not facing Silver Star Rd. The traffic starts flowing really early and can get quite loud. The quieter rooms face the parking lot and will give you a quieter sleep.
We have stayed at this property numerous times, always a positive stay. This time we were in a kitchenette room, great room. Staff was helpful and friendly. Would recommend this hotel and will stay here again next time we are in the area
The rooms were clean and nice, this I liked, minus the very fragrant soaps and lotions as they were an issue for me. The staff very mostly nice but got lots of info wrong, did not know how to do many things or live up to what they told me they would do and just did not have the top professional image although they tried. I might consider another stay here but the restaurant Ricky's is very much lacking good servers and in my opinion hurts the hotel. I ate there 4 meals as nothing was in walking distance and every meal the service had severe multiple issues. Many customers I could see where also upset and having issues and I was told they just fired all the staff and rehired a month ago. They forgot my order one meal, forgot me altogether another meal while I sat and watched then seat and serve others, could not make change when all I had was a$50 and my meal was $30. You can't get a drink or coffee refill and that is only the beginning. I told the hotel staff when asked about my experience and they tried to make it better for me on my last stay by talking to the restaurant but I watched others get extremely poor service and mixed up orders and a bunch of nonsense while they tried to please me but it still felt mechanical and not great service. They are easy to find and right on the HWY. I am allergic to dogs and that is all I saw was dogs every time I came in or out or off the elevator. The tubs are extremely slippery and they should provide bath mats. It was quiet both nights I was there which was pleasing. The wake up call was 35 mins late and the clock was not set to the correct time. Loved the flavored water on the first day but during the week it never got changed and same with the coffee as it was empty one morning, I was promised new would be made but never was. Just past the entrance has lots of seating and is classy, would be great for large groups.
Nice hotel. Nice staff. Clean rooms & comfortable beds. Nice & quiet on the fourth floor. Only drawback for us was no complimentary breakfast and although you get a $6 credit for breakfast every morning at Ricky's attached restaurant, it's not that good. Would possibly stay here again.
Great hotel! Nice staff! Very clean rooms! Modern, comfortable and would highly recommend. Easy drive to Silver Star! We really enjoyed our stay and this is our go to hotel in Vernon! We will be returning here.
Nice hotel, we had deliveries for the trade show sent there and they handled them great. Lovely king room. New everything and close to everything. We will come back. Unlike most best westerns there was no restaurant and therefore no breakfast included. .there was a brand name restaurant attached where you get 25% off if you staying at the hotel. Staff were great, helpful anolite
The suite was just what we were looking for: Clean, comfortable, spaceous and the room service was excellent. It even featured kitchen areas so that we could cook for ourselfs. The hotel offers also a nice quiet restaurant with a variety of delicious food. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating to our needs. We are already looking forward to our next stay.
We had to stay an extra night in Vernon after not being able to fly into our ski lodge due to weather. They were able to accommodate us well. In fact it seems the best way to get the best deals is to go in the night you want to stay and talk to them then and there. We were able to get a room for their cheapest rate. Which was only $20.00 more then the crappy hotel we were at the night before. We had a comfortable quiet night, we could hear some traffic noise, but that should be expected considering the hotel is at a busy intersection. We did eat at Ricky's for convenience , the dinner was a disappointment. We also ate again for breakfast since we were given a $6.00 credit for the meal. Unfortunately the breakfast wasn't very good either and it didn't stay with me long, I had to rush to the bathroom 30minutes after leaving the hotel. I'd for sure stay here again, great service, comfortable rooms. But I wouldn't eat at Ricky's again.
We spent one night prior to heading to Silverstar. The hotel is conveniently located for a quick trip to the ski hill. On the 4th floor the room was quiet even though we faced the main road and the 97. The room was clean and comfortable, bedding was great. We ate supper at Rick`s grill (attached to hotel) and we had a good meal reasonably priced. The hotel does not offer breakfast but offers a discount coupon for the restaurant. We would stay at this hotel again.
I've had a very pleasurable experience at the Best Western Pacific Inn. Friendly professional staff, clean, quiet and comfortable rooms. Parking is never a problem and the location is great and easy to find. Highly recommend this hotel if you're in the area.
Zero complaints! The service, cleanliness and amenities at this hotel were perfect! We arrived at noon and our room was ready. Snack bar in the lobby with toiletries or other items you may have forgotten was easily accessible and convenient. Staff was efficient and friendly. Would recommend to anyone.
We chose this Best Western because of our previous positive experiences we've had at other Best Westerns; it was also a convenient place that was close to the Vernon Hospital where my husband was scheduled for surgery early the next morning. Having an extended check-out time was very helpful for me while I had to wait for my husband to get through his procedure. It was also nice to have a restaurant attached to the hotel for ease of meals.
Hotel and staff get my kudos. Pleasant and helpful while displaying a high level of professionalism at check in makes it nicer for a weary traveller. Will definitely stay here next trip thru Vernon. Highly recommend!!!
This BW hotel is clean and well located. The room was comfortable. There is no complimentary breakfast however a small deduction is available if you use the restaurant in the hotel. There is no recognition of military service in the pricing system. The road noise is loud as the hotel is at the junction of a major street and highway.
Great stay! Excellent fitness center. This is a great location close to everything. Very friendly staff :) It's a newer hotel and the rates are very good, there is no breakfast included. You receive a 6.00 voucher for the Restaurant instead.
We selected the hotel for 2 weeks during our house renovation, because we needed a kitchen. The room was excellent, with separate bedroom and living-room. Also we were given daily vouchers for the in-house restaurant, which made this an excellent deal. It was a little short on small items like a corkscrew, so bring such essentials with you!
Nice décor and new property that is very clean. Rooms on the road side of the hotel (north) are very noisy early in the morning with truck traffic, recommend parking lot side if you are a light sleeper.
Hotel does not give free breakfast but has a $6 coupon for meals at Rickie's over priced and not hot so so service in Restaurant. Hotel itself very pleased with accommodations. feel they should find a better place for their meals.
I travel extensively for business and whenever possible look for a Best Western property. This trip saw me overnight in Vernon bc in one of those properties. The hotel is fairly new and was spotless throughout. The greeting was professional and my reservation was ready and awaiting my arrival, the rooms are well appointed with above average furnishings and a very well appointed bathroom. There is an attached Ricky's restaurant and lounge which is easily accessed through the main lobby. The business room rate compares favourably to other properties. I highly recommend this property.
decided at the last minute to stay in Vernon and like the appearance of the hotel. Upon entering the lobby we were acknowledged right away even though she was busy with another guest. The whole experience was pleasurable and we will definitely stay again. Even though this hotel is on the highway, we weren't disturbed by highway noise, so had a good nights sleep.
2 weeks ago my wife and I had planned a road trip to Vernon B.C. Unfortunately I came down with a severe flu and had to cancel our trip and return to our home in Nelson B.C. My wife called Best Western in Nelson to explain our situation. We were told that there was nothing that could be done and we would have to pay the full amount because we had not called earlier which was the case but I did not get sick until that morning. This past summer my family had used various Best Western Hotels to stay at 8 times on a trip across Canada and were pleased with the service and accommodation. As a regular guest we were disappointed to be charged the full room rate for the room which we did not stay in.I will think about using other places to stay in future.
Friendly outgoing staff and management always a pleasure to deal with. Very accommodating feels like home. Recognized reward program and willingness to go out of their way to find the perfect room for my stay.
The Hotel was easy to find, right off of 97, Upon entering the staff was friendly and our room was ready as well as the check in paperwork so check-in was quick. The room was furnished and organized well, and was very clean. The décor was pleasant and comfortable. The lobby was comfortable and coffee, tea and water were available. I will definitely choose this hotel again, if we venture back to Vernon.
Great Place to stay with great informative staff. Very clean and comfortable and full breakfast served that's included. The location is great and the staff told me about the double points bonus which I knew nothing about.
Hotel was very conveniently situated for our famiy get together and generally good value. The room was approprieate considering the price, The internet connection was on the slow side, which was the issue.
Great stay, easy access to the hotel from the main highway, which provides good access to points throughout the north Okanagan Valley. Hotel is also close to a good variety of restaurants and shopping, many within easy walking distance. Entrance to parking area needs to be repaired
Friendly staff greet you at check in. The room clean and comfortable. Had great sleep in comfy bed. Will definitely be back when returning to this wonderful city. The attached restaurant was an added bonus especially with the coupons from the hotel.
Best Western is a great place to stay.. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and well kept..The restaurant was very clean. The service was efficient and friendly, the food was very good. The washrooms in the restaurant were well maintained.
Excellent service and accommodation. No concerns. Beds comfortable. Cleanliness of hotel was evident. Great daily maid service Top floor location very quiet. Parking lot entrancehad one hole that was unavoidable only complaint.
We stayed for 2 nights and it was hell. Forget about getting a good nights sleep here as this hotel is located facing an extremely busy road exiting hwy 97. If you enjoy cars and loud souped up trucks with exhausts blasting by your window a few feet away from the road at 4am, this place is for you. Hotel management was kind enough to give us a room the next day on the opposite side of the hotel next to a loudly humming and vibrating vending/ice machine and commercial fridge. Two nights of terrible sleep. Rooms were dirty, refreshments near the elevators were not fresh, internet was extremely slow and the hotel management didn't seem to care one bit about guest comfort. Overall this hotel falls far short of what it should be for a 3 star hotel.
This is a very nice place to stay when in Vernon. Clean, comfortable rooms, although the bed we had was a bit hard for our taste. Otherwise, a very nice stay. And while they do not have their own free breakfast, there is a Ricky's attached to the Lobby and they provide $6 meal vouchers per person. Definitely good value for the dollar!
A very comfortable room, clean with up-to-date decor; comfortable bed, good size room; thoughtful amenities. Shower in excellent working condition; high bathroom counter; air conditioning quiet and efficient.
In town for an event and stayed here. Beautiful hotel, very well maintained. The staff was incredibly pleasant to deal with. The hotel is on the edge of town so we took a cab to our event but it was a short ride.
the hotel upgraded our room without any additional charges to the suite with kitchenette and a living area. the room was very nice, the beds were very comfortable, bathroom clean. we were very pleased with the restaurant menu as well.
This new Best Western is a great place to stay. It is a really beautiful hotel with great comfy beds which always attract my attention when thinking of returning. Close to everything you need as well. Will be my go to when coming back to this lovely town!!!!
I personally like this hotel for its location, affordability, cleanliness, welcoming staff. I usually come to Vernon twice a year for business and this is the only hotel I will stay at in Vernon. I have when time permits, use the restaurant in this hotel - Ricky's and I found the service and the menu choices excellent
We usually stay at the Hilton hotels but since there was no Hilton in the area, we stayed at the Best Western Pacific. It turned out to be a good decision. The hotel was clean. The staff was very courteous and friendly. Edna, the manager was extremely good and efficient. We highly recommend this hotel. It beats all other hotels we have stayed in terms of service and feeling at home environment.
My stay in Vernon was excellent. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable with great internet. The staff is friendly and accommodating. While I only booked for one night and it turned out I needed a second night because our work wasn't going the way we'd hoped for, the staff was kind enough to upgrade and accommodate our needs for a second night. The $6 breakfast vouchers came in handy for the one morning and the restaurant also did take out which helped us out tremendously. Everything came together and having such a pleasant experience with the stay made it all that much better. Thank you Best Western!
This is our second time staying at the Pacific Inn. It has large rooms, good Wi-Fi and TV service, beds are comfortable, kitchenette has microwave and fridge. Coffee is available in room or in the lobby. It is located on the northern end of town, with entrance a minute off the highway. A restaurant is on side of hotel and a voucher is provided to cut cost of a meal. Staff were friendly and efficient. It remains our hotel of choice when visiting the area.
Friendly staff, clean modern comfortable room. A bit of road noise from the highway but otherwise lovely. Breakfast chits for the restaurant meant a hot real breakfast of our choosing. We really liked that.
We were pleased with the size and decor of our room and the room was very clean. The king bed was very comfortable. The hotel is located in a good area as there are plenty of food spots and other shops close by. The service was excellent with positive attitudes prevailing among the staff. Our experience with the restaurant was not favorable on one visit (slow service, so-so food) therefore we eat elsewhere other times.Overall value was excellent.
We stayed here on a quick trip to grab fruit from the orchard.Hotel is nice ,,pool across the way in another hotel, parking is brutal if you have a pick up truck, they cater to small cars, not ideal.Resturant on the side ,no Continental breakfast, give coupons for a discount.Overall it was a nice clean hotel, friendly service
The service was excellent and the staff very friendly. would definitely stay there again. The reception was very helpful, cheery and pleasant. The room was clean and large enough. However the bed could be a little softer.
Upon check in a hotel representative confirmed us that breakfast was included, but when we had our breakfast we were informed that breakfast was not included in the hotel's service; then they said that the staff was new and didn't know. This is not a valid excuse
This hotel is located on the Bypass and its quite easy to use the side roads to get around the heavy traffic in Vernon. There is a restaurant onsite, so they don't offer a free breakfast. The front desk does give you a $10/day voucher for the restaurant though! I don't like that the hotel prices the rooms according to demand (dynamic pricing) I ended up paying $70 more for Friday night vs Saturday night?
We stayed at the BW Pacific Inn for two nights on a recent trip to B.C., and were happy with the comfortable room, the efficient service, and the location in Vernon - it's easy to find. The room with a king bed, a sofa, and a desk/chair was very spacious, and on the hot day that we were there, we appreciated the air conditioning!! I agree with another reviewer who made a comment about the entrance to the parking lot being rough - it certainly was!!, and should be fixed.
We stayed for a week for my husband's work, we rented the same suite as last year's. We like the fact there is a separation between bedroom and living space, a full kitchen and sofabed for extra sleeping bed. This is our 3rd time staying here and will continue to do so.
The service we received was excellent as usual, We received a pleasant supprise when we received a room upgrade. to a suite. This hotel is in a very convenient location and suites us very well. Having a restaurant as part of the hotel is also a plus. Parking is adequate, however the entrance to the parking lot is rough and should be repaired. Also the coffee service in the lobby needs to be replenished regularly.
The hotel is in a good location and is quite nice but we had some sort of leak in the room some of our clothing got soaked and we did not get any sort of compensation for this inconvenience. Did not even offer some sort of bag or anything to put the wet stuff in so we could continue on with our vacation. There is some sort of leak in that room and just a good thing we did not have our laptop bag on that side of the bed.
I would recommend staying at this hotel to anyone. The staff are friendly and the rooms were clean with comfortable beds. The coupons we received to eat breakfast at the Rickeys restaurant were an added bonus and children get to eat free.
The rooms was very nice and clean and modern. The traffic noise was a little more then I expected so ask for the parking lot side if this is a concern. Also they didn`t have a free breakfast but offer a coupon for Ricky`s. Nice if you want a full sit down meal but for myself, I usually just want something light and then hit the road.
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this hotel. I very much enjoyed the bed and pillows -- they were great! I found the computer facilities to be more than satisfactory. My biggest surprise, although it shouldn't have been, was that I even got a great view of the sunrise!
knew going in no pool or free breakfast. after a great check in was dissapointed the rest of the stay, after leaving a note saturday for regular coffee more decaff left/only decaff in room. shower had hair in it, potato chip crumbs in carpet. when we got back later in day told front desk of this plus missing 2 towels and no shaMPOO ETC. an hour later[now past midnite]went back to desk for items came away with coffe[2] 2towels.had made first complaint in am of running toilet. by monday room was up to expected quality but still no fix for toilet. the only good thing was the bed was one of the most comfortable i have ever slept in. plu service and food at the attached Ricky's was very good.
We always stay best western. We were. Dry disappointed this time. Room was not over all clean, sofa bed had to be made by us, we had to fix the toilet, ask for extra towels. Room was not what we booked.
Staying one night didn't give me enough time to experience this hotel properly. However, what I'd like to see is the opportunity for travelers to check in before 4pm if rooms are ready and available. This option wasn't available due to their hotel policy and did cause us an inconvenience. Staff were friendly and the room clean.
Stayed one night in a king size bed room. Everything was top notch, easy, quick check-in. very clean and comfortable room. The little things they do better like very quiet air conditioning units, quiet bathroom fans and shower heads.. Great comfortable bed, all these little things add up to make a memorable stay. No breakfast but they do give you gift certificate for attached Rickis restaurant. Nothing negative to say!
This was a standard Best Western experience, with below average (for BW) wifi - slow and twitchy. The room was large, cool and comfortable with microwave and bar fridge. A/C runs non-stop, drowning out the highway noise nicely. Shower is great, tub is installed wrong and made a horribly scary thunking sound as it filled and then emptied. Breakfast is not included and I didn't have time to use the $6 coupon to the adjacent Ricki's - so no breakfast...
Fast check in. Clean room even though our room was a little small. It was quite nice. Complimentary tea and coffee 24/7 in the lobbie which was very nice as I am up all hours of the night. All of the staff is very helpful. I would defiantly stay here again.
The hotel was excellent right from the start. Room was big and roomy, as was the bathroom. Best bed I have slept on during this holiday, however, Ricky's Restaurant attached to the hotel. Requires a more mature Supervisor, one that is customer oriented.
The room is very neat and clean. Front desk is very helpful and cheery. Restaurant is close by and a hotel voucher reduces the meal by 6.00 per person. Parking is lousy. If you leave the lot and return after 10:00 pm you will have to park on the street. The lot is shared by Holiday Inn Express.
Receiving the emailed statement, I am extremely disappointed.. After complaining about a slightly grubby room, the front desk clerk agreed to only charge one "pet fee", but upon checking the statement I see that I were still charged the two "pet fee's", and on top of this we only brought a small non allergenic Poodle that was never left alone in the room or made any sort of mess that would require any "extra" clean up. I trust you immediately will reverse the charges to my credit card.
I was travelling on a road-trip with my family. The Best Western Pacific Inn at Vernon, BC provided us with an excellent overall experience as well as access to nearby parks and interesting tourist attractions. The attached Ricky's restaurant, with very helpful staff, was also a very welcome bonus.
Overall the hotel was OK. Staff were friendly. Ricky's restaurant was great. However both rooms we stayed in had dirty floors. I asked to have them cleaned and staff said the floor had been cleaned. However when I went into the room there was still a big ball of hair on the floor. I then picked up the hair and some of the crud in a Kleenex and took it to the front counter. They said it would be cleaned again but still the floors were dirty. I asked three more times to have the floors cleaned and I finally gave up. Bathroom floor would leave black marks on the bathmat, socks and feet. Management said it was a cleaning product used by housekeeping. I don't know if it was from dirty carpets or what but the floors were dirty in two seperate rooms. I filled out a survey for BW and the hotel manager responded by giving us a discount on our next stay and this was very nice, however I just won't stay there again.
Very clean and comfortable, fast internet, modern bathroom and kitchen area high counters, generous size room and well laid out. Very relaxing stay - lobby was bright and well laid out for reading or coffee and computer work.
Comfortable beds. Nice staff. Sort of far away from town but it was quiet. The parking lot could be bigger. Hard to find a space once in a while and the lobby store was dad but otherwise loved the hotel
Spent 3 nights in Vernon, had only good experiences at the hotel. Staff is more than competent, very courteous, and extremely helpful when called upon. Room was spacious and clean, bed very comfortable, and the air-conditioning worked much better that most other hotels I've stayed in.
the room was fantastic and the location was good. We only stayed one night since we were travelling through. It is a very nice hotel with a good amount of rooms and we had a suite with kitchen which was appreciated. A Ricky's restaurant was attached to the hotel and we could use the pool in the Holiday Inn which was right across the parking lot.
Clean and comfortable. Convenient location right off the highway. Breakfast discount vouchers available, but we did not use them as we had to leave early in the morning. The hotel is close to all amenities.
No problems, big parking lot and did fill up but we were okay and could keep an eye on our motorcycles from our room. Did have breakfast in Ricky's hotel restaurant since we were provided with $12 meal discount coupons and that was fine. Hotel is within walking distance of a mall and a few other restaurants so that was good for dinner the day of arrival but it is not in the centre of town if that is what you want but that was not an issue for us on this overnight stay. Room was clean & comfortable. No problems.
Great hotel and staff. Nice that there was a Rickys Restaurant in the hotel, great food! Only issue was that the pool for guests to use is over at the Holiday Inn, although just across the parking lot. Fortunately it was nice weather, would not want to trudge across in the rain or snow.
Enjoyed our stay, very nice hotel, close to shopping, restaurants, etc. and staff was very friendly and helpful. Dinner and breakfast at the restaurant in the hotel was very good and staff very friendly.
We stayed here as part of a tour group and was very impressed with the Best Western! The rooms were large with king size beds and a pullout couch! Very clean and tidy. Staff were friendly and very helpful! Would stay here again if in the area
The hotel is solidly constructed and did not have the adjoining room noise evident at older BW properties. Even though close the highway it was very quiet and comfortable. I would recommend the hotel. The breakfast arrangement is puzzling...no BW breakfast offered but a $6 voucher for the Ricky's onsite facility. This does not get you very far when the least expensive full breakfast comes in at $12 before coffee, tax and tip - I figured it would be $20 per person which is a tad expensive in my book ($40 for 2?). We went into town and had a full breakfast for 2 including coffee for $16 including tax and tip. I really think the property should work on making the morning meal arrangement a little more attractive.
easy to find. courteous staff, very friendly at check in and express check out was awesome. extremely comfortable bed. nice staff, very clean room. love how the bedding is white and looks clean. best western is teh only hotel we will stay at in north america.
Very clean and up to date. Room was very new as I believe the hotel likely is. Many extras like iron and board fridge etc. A tad expensive but my stay was paid by my company. Good and pleasant Ricky's restaurant downstairs. My only minor issue is that the parking lot is shared with a neighboring hotel so the parking is busy and cramped As I was driving a long WB 4x4 pickup I was lucky to get a spot that the truck would fit in. If you are pulling any kind of trailer, I suggest street parking as my colleague found out. I might suggest that they lose the CFL lights in the bathroom though. Very annoying having to wait for the lights to get bright enough to see.
Myself and my elderly Dad needed to go to Vernon due to attending a funeral. This hotel was well located, clean, with friendly staff. I picked a suite knowing my Dad would be in bed early. There was a large living room and full kitchen. Even though we didn't use the kitchen I can see how people with a family would find it very useful.
I spent a few days here in my own room, with my sisters and mother sharing a suite. We booked about a month in advance, and I guess due to it being July, found it very expensive. Saying that, it was fine. Rooms were clean, well appointed with everything you would expect. Being next to Highway 97, it was on the loud side. Hotel amenities were fine, and it had a small, but decently equipped gym. The major thing missing was a pool. Given the heat I would have appreciated a chance to cool off and swim a few laps. The only gap in service was my room wasn't cleaned one day. I was in the room when the cleaners knocked, and though that was early afternoon, and I left soon after, they never came back. Not a major problem, as there was plenty of towels and supplies, but something for hotel management to get better control of. So, in summary, it was fine.
This is my second time to stay at this hotel. This time we were travelling with two small dogs for the first time and felt very welcome at this hotel. The bar staff were great and adjacent restaurant is very convenient. I noted that they now offer charging stations for electric vehicles -very smart! My only disappointment was the dim lighting in the bathrooms and the showerhead providing not much more than a mist.
If you don't want to eat in the hotel restaurant, you need to drive to find one. Also, I thought the breakfast was overpriced. I have become accustomed to having breakfast included in my stay, but this place wanted $9 for a continental breakfast!
We had a very quiet stay in this hotel in Vernon - Much appreciated after a day driving - The hotel is close to the Village Green shopping centre and has Rickys restraunt right next door. The access is easy right off the highway.
We were upgraded to a suite at this hotel and everything was great. The tv in the bedroom was not reset and seemed to take forever to figure out and reset it. The decor was great but I do not like to have to pay for breakfast just because there is a restaurant on the premises of a BW hotel. The coffee in the room was swill water to say the least. The staff were friendly and helpful.
So haven't been to the property yet and unfortunately I had to cancel my visit there but Jeff was at the front desk reservations when I booked and when I cancelled and he was so nice and accommodating that it made me want to make sure I stay there at some time in the future.
I would rate this new hotel better if they, like other Best Western hotels would have an included breakfast and a sharper pencil for the price. All in all the staff was pleasant and the room was very nice.
Good value, clean and comfortable. Easy to find on main highway good value with clean and comfortable room. Easy to find on main highway and is close to restaurants. Quick check in process and friendly staff. and is close to restaurants
During my stay in Vernon this past week, I stayed at this hotel. My room was cleaned! It was a large room! Great lighting, etc. The staff was friendly! I just wished the restaurant opened at 630am so I could get off to work earlier!
The new Best Western is sparkling clean and staffed with friendly and efficient staff. The rooms are impeccably clean and well appointed. The on-site restaurant is a welcome change from the usual free buffet. Will definitely have this on my list of preferred places to stay in Vernon.
The front desk people were ther very best we have ever experienced. Ricky's waitresses are the best as well!! Perfect vacation. Room was super clean and we got in super fast. Have never had such ease with early check in. These people make you feel appreciated.
The hotel was new, clean and modern with great service. It had a great common area to work or use hotel computers and Internet. It did not have a breakfast included, but big discount with the restaurant next door on select items. I will be using this hotel when in the area.
I always dread staying at a hotel that is near a highway.....Until now. Wonderful and quiet, looks like they've undergone a recent reno/update to the property. We had a suite with a well appointed kitchen, spacious and clean, we could easily have settled in for a long stay. We were there for two very restful nights...once again....quiet. No highway noise. No hallway noise. Staff were very helpful at check in, too.
Front desk personnel are friendly and helpful. Room was clean and nicely set up bed was comfortable. Hotel is in a good location with easy access from the highway. Elevator was broke down for about a day and a half which was a pain I was on the fourth floor. But overall a good stay.
The front desk staff was excellent. They were efficient, friendly and helpful. The hotel is reasonably new with comfortable beds and well appointed rooms. A good value for the money. The location is convenient to the highway and the downtown of Vernon. Lots of free parking.
Have stayed at this Best Western Hotel numerous times . It's always clean seems updated and everything just seems fresh. The Front desk Staff are professional and friendly , though they don't seem to offer express check-out and that's OK to me because I probably wouldn't have used it anyway.
We love staying here as they are pet friendly and their suites are very nice. Close to all amenities and staff are great. Its great having a restaurant in the hotel. The lobby has a great sitting area and is always super clean. The only down side is the pool and hot tub are across the parking lot in the other hotel. This is were we stay every time we come to Vernon.
we arrived and found the road into the place under water as we were attempting to go through we hit a pothole.. when I inquired what the issue was she said water main burst I said it would be nice if it was rope off as the water and hole was deep and then we were informed of the boil water...and not to use the tap I asked if they had bottle water and she said nope..
Wonderful Hotel Long day of travel and was very happy with this hotel. From check in to checkout all the staff and amenities were top notch. I would stay here anytime I am in the area Dont know why I have to have at least 200 charcaters for this review but I want to say that it is a very well run hotel.
Vernon was flooded near our hotel, water on roads near our parking lot.Water advisory was in effect-no drinking water policy.Breakfast is not available and pool is at another hotel across the parking lot! Ricky's restaurant is on site for a price. No bottled water was offered to us in our room ! We were not informed of these problems when we booked our room directly with the hotel.
Loved the hotel. Concierge was extremely helpful and accommodating. Clean, well appointed room. Only one disappointment but it was major - Do not eat at the Ricky's restaurant independently adjoined. Very sub-standard.
The staff of this hotel should be recommended for their very friendly business manners. They had a very good attitude with public relations with guests and they had all information a person needed to have.
The staff was very pleasant and always smiling. Rooms comfortable and clean. Found the service in the restaurant very slow and understaffed. Other than the flooding on the roads around the hotel, which made it a bit difficult getting in, we enjoyed the stay.
Comfortable, clean and freshly updated rooms. A small fridge, microwave and coffee machine are a plus. Just off the main road and close to groceries, restaurants and shopping - convenient for travellers. Full diner restaurant attached.
This hotel is relatively new and well maintained. The room we had was large and well appointed with a sitting area that worked for both of us. There is a Rickey's restaurant in the hotel with a bar area. We only had breakfast there and the portions were huge. Staff were pleasant and helpful. We would stay there again.
New hotel. Clean and excellent service. A very nice stay. Was welcomed warmly and treated well. Rooms were modern and well appointed. When asked staff were very friendly and offered excellent meal suggestions.
Exactly like I expect from best western hotel. Clean, Friendly, quiet hotel. Location easy to get into and out to highway. Nice and quiet even with being on highway. Service and staff great. Lobby nice seating area and coffee tea available.
I hadn't stayed at this property before. Nice newer hotel at the north end of town. Convenient access and lots of parking. Great checkin. They even called too make sure everything was OK. Nice modern rooms with comfortable beds. Large fitness center with lots of machines, weights and even medicine balls. Very nice. Attached Ricky's restaurant and they offer discounted menu items. No included breakfast at this bw location. The Ricky's had good food but poor service. Available coffee in the lobby. Very nice place too stay with friendly staff.
Booked this hotel through airmiles. Everything went well from check-in to check-out. We ended up with a suite that had a separate bedroom with two queen beds, a livingroom, and a full size kitchen with stove, fridge and dishwasher! Housekeeping worked around our crazy schedule of family in and out of the room. The front desk also worked to find a crib for our granddaughter at last minute notice. I enjoyed the 24 hour coffee/tea bar in the lobby. Ricky's restaurant that is attached to the hotel served a great breakfast too.
Hotel is a hotel, but BW in Vernon was very clean and well maintained. Room quiet and well maintained. Staff friendly and an excellent experience. I would stay again for sure. Clearly updated and being well maintained. Close to plenty of shops if you need something. Not too far from the down town area.
Since we have no children and like to do road trips we like to do road trips to just get away and see life in other towns. Nice to be able to do that. Threw this we are learning to value of a hotel. Eg one trip. A one night stay off season $71 room looked like a prison. No view. Across the street $67 Gave us 2 beds and a view. The owners even took the time to tell us about the area. No how was the employees performance card. I guess they believe in there workers.
The hotel is a good quality hotel with an attached restaurant so breakfast and dinner are easy for business travelers. Centrally located, rooms are sufficient, decent beds and WiFi service is available although slow. Only complaint was that the cable TV had a few 'no signal' stations which is the cable companies fault. Excellent, helpful staff so I would recommend this hotel for the road warriors out there.
Good new hotel. I did not take advantage of 25% breakfast discount offer during my stay unfortunately, but I did have a late lunch the day of arrival... I did use the on-site coin-op laundry facilities. A recommended new hotel!
It was nice to go the very ferindly, it was quick to check in and out. The service was great.. I travel from Edmonton to Kelowna every week it was to have a hot shower and a nice bed to crawl in to from a had day of driving.. I would go the again
Great Hotel, very friendly and wonderful service. Would definitely recommend this to friends and family..... Comfortable beds, great decor, pet friendly which was very important to our family...extremely satisfied
We recently stayed in Vernon for two nights unexpectedly and found the Best Western a great place to call home. Staff was most accommodating and the attached Ricy's restaurant and other nearby pubs and restaurants made for a pleasant time away from home.
The hotel itself is quite nice. The attendant at check in is not going to be winning any customer service awards! I I was quite surprised when at check in, for 2 king rooms,I needed to give them a pre-authoriztion on my mastercard of $450.00! She said it was for room incidentals??I was not told of this 'pre-auth' needed when booking the room directly.Pre-auth-ing my credit card seemed a bit overboard for $450 when the rate was $107.due to off season??,I felt very un-necessary for a one night stay!! then the room she gaves us ,the bathtub acrylic surround was cracked and broken,I immediately called the front desk so I would not be responsible, and her reply was "Oh they haven't fixed that yet" considering the hotel was hardly full, why give us that room anyway? It was just very ackward at check in! I have stayed at lots of hotels that you don't have to prepay for the room!!! or the incidentals pre auth is $50.00
I would agree with most of the positive comments others have made. This a very pleasant hotel and I wish it had been here when I was making regular trips to Vernon on business. I'm sure my "old reliable" two blocks down the highway is feeling the heat! The discount at Ricky's was appreciated, however it seemed odd they were only open until 10 on a Friday night. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Vernon.
We wanted to catch the Jays playoff game after check-in, but Sportsnet was not available. Very few channels were on TV. The Ricky's restaurant did not open until 8am....and no continental breakfast. The city of Vernon adds a tax on to your bill and the staff will not remove it, even though by law, it is illegal for them not to when asked.
We were there for just one night while visiting family, and we could have stayed much longer, it was awesome. The service from Jaime at the front desk was terrific. The room was lovely and clean and the beds were so comfortable. Our overall experience was terrific and I highly recommend this hotel.
This is a relatively new hotel. Generally it is well-appointed and clean. The staff was competent and helpful. the price was very reasonable. My observations & complaints are these: It is located on the edge of Vernon, so take that into account if you plan on exploring the town. It is quite a way from the city center. About 11 PM what I thought was live music from the adjacent pub started up and proceeded to get louder and louder. By 12:45 I called the office. Mind you, we were on the 4th floor of the building, so I can only imagine what the noise must have been like on the 2nd and 3rd floors. Things did quiet down after my call. Upon checkout I was informed that the music was from a wedding reception in the building. In the future, the staff should take a more proactive approach to controlling noise.
We had a fabulous room, clean and great beds! The night auditor happened to be working during the day. Put 100% in when trying to locate a charger for us. He sincerely wanted to hear about an minor incident I had in the restaurant (he asked me, not me complaining to him). I felt like I was being heard. He went above and beyond. Highly recommend this hotel!
we stayed in the queen suite which included a kitchen. That was great as we could cook our suppers and breakfasts in the room and get groceries from a nearby supermarket. Nice and quiet and the beds were comfortable. Kitchen was missing some cutlery but otherwise had most everything we needed. The room décor was modern and up to date.
This is a very nice hotel and the employee's were very helpful and professional. The room was spotless and beds were comfortable. The hotel and grounds are well kept and it looks like a new facility from the appearance. Would definitely recommend this hotel to others.
The hotel has easy access from the highway and is a few step from the restaurant. The room seemed quite soundproof. They do not offer breakfast at the hotel but you get a 25% discount at the restaurant . This couples with the good rate worked out fine.
Our second stay at this hotel, but with the family suite this time. Very spacious with kitchenette and full-sized fridge and stove. No breakfast but there's a discount at the attached Ricki's. No pool, but you can ask for access to the pool at the Holiday Inn that shares the same parking lot - apparently it's the same owners. Good amenities surrounding this hotel including many restaurants like Red Robin's, McD's, BK, etc. and big box stores like Walmart, Best Buy, etc. Overall, still a good overnight stop.
I generally only post positive reviews on this site. In this case however, the service at this hotel was so bad I would warn anyone to choose another hotel. From the restaurant to housekeeping to front desk staff, there was an attitude of rudeness that I have rarely ever encountered in the service industry. I would never stay here again.
with a discount at Ricky's restaurant attached we had a great stay. Great staff at both. Large rooms very comfortable bed. Over complicated thermostat made it hard to set a comfortable temp. Problem with the tv was not fixed
They do not supply free breakfast as other best westerns do. They offer a 25% off to rickys restaurant..we decided to go and we were seated and not served for a half hour. We had to ask someone to serve us. Waited a long time for the food. We also had problems with the food. The server decided to stop serving us. We never got 1 refill of water and when asked for another beer it was not brought to us. We had to wait a long time and ask someone to bring us the bill. The next morning we told the front desk they shouldn't be supporting rickys we had such a bad experience. The front desk informed us it was the 'night crew' and 'specific people' that causes the problems. Also in our hotel room the plug in to charge your phone on the lamp does not work. They only supplied us with 1 towel and no hand towel. When approached to the housekeeping about only having 1 towel we were told 'we are 100% accurate we do not make mistakes'. I was in shock all I wanted was a couple more towels. We also got a towel with a big yellow stain on it. When we approached the front desk about the big yellow stain we were told that they do not supply rooms with stained towels...when clearly we just had one. It was just a problem after another problem and not once did someone apologize and try and make the situation better. We were talked very rudely at from both the front desk and housekeeping. The front desk even raised his voice. He was also contradicting himself alot about the stained towel. Telling us 'we do not supply stained towels' and also said 'it could be a coffee stain it's not a huge deal'. As far as I'm concerned neither of us know what that stain is 100% and I do not want stained towels. I could continue about the way we were treated but I'm sure this gets the point across
It is a great hotel on our way to Banff. Good location, 5 mins drive to supermarket. Well equipped room and friendly staff. They are very helpful and answered all my question. The room is very new and clean.
Nice, Clean, and friendly staff. We had a king bed for us and a fold out couch for our 7 year old. Plus there was still room for our playpen with room to move around. it was nice to have the fridge and a microwave. We only wish that breakfast was available ( even just toast and fruit). Overall it was a very nice stay
After a long day of travelling, we were greeted by friendly staff and given a clean versatile room. There is no breakfast at this location which usually is a feature we look for, but there was a full kitchen and we loved it. SO great to be able to refreeze our cooler ice packs in a real freezer and have an oven for meal options. There is no pool either but there is enough local water attractions made it not a necessity. Good parking, easy check in and out , only problem was the luggage cart had one defunct tire and made that operation a little harder and we could have used some salt and pepper and there was no where to get any from at our late arrival time.Otherwise a very positive visit!
We had a room on the 2nd floor facing Hwy 97 and right beside the elevator. The motorcycles were particularly loud until late at night. At 12:43 after we were asleep some young ladies were talking very loudly while waiting for the elevator and woke me up. The second lot that did it I opened my door and asked them not to be so loud in the middle of the night. For $170 plus tax we did not even get a breakfast as most Best Western's supply. The restaurant breakfast menu was quite expensive and we were offered 25% off by the hotel. The room was not supplied with lotion as is the custom and we had to go to the desk and ask for it. The TV was not working properly and the picture kept breaking up. When we talked to the front desk about the noise she said you have to request a room away from the highway and elevator. We had booked months in advance so we wrongly assumed we would get a preferred room. It seems to me that the worst room should go to the person who booked last and there is nothing left.
Stayed a night here on a road trip from calgary to vancouver. Was put up in the 1 bedroom suite - having a kitchen and living room . Service was top notch and the property was excellent.Great folks at the front desk, were even very kind enough to heed to a special request with no extra charge. The property was very clean and well maintained. There is also a ricky's all day grill attached to the hotel which serves food for the hotel customers.Had a very refreshing stay after a long drive from Calgary. Will definitely come back here on the next trip.
After a long road trip over the Rocky Mountains we decided to book a stop in Vernon on the drive back to Vancouver. There weren't too many pet friendly places but this was one, and at $79 for a night in the peak of summer, we didn't have high expectations. We were very pleasantly surprised when we got to the hotel, and in particular the room. It was so clean, spacious, fresh and modern. Compared to places we stayed on the trip which cost ~$300, were fairly dated with uncomfortable bedsand no AC, this was probably our most comfortable nights sleep, which was welcome after a tiring drive from Banff. It's also very handily located, just off the highway. Whilst this might not be ideal for long-term guests, it was just what we needed as a stopover on the way home. Despite being close to the highway (with our room overlooking it) it was also quite. They must have some good windows as we barely heard a peep. There were also decent amenities from what we saw, a gym, excellent Wifi (makes a change!) and free parking were all perfect. It's always nice when a place that is so cheap turns out to be so great! Also, the Ricky's next door was a God send as we really were not up to driving anymore to go out to eat. Perfect!
The service, location and room at this hotel were very satisfactory. Our only disappointment was that breakfast was not included in the stay due to the fact that there is a restaurant on site. We have stayed at other Best Western Plus hotels in the BC Rockies and the Okanagan Valley that charge the same rate but that all include a fantastic breakfast.
Our stay at the Best Western Pacific Inn was very acceptable. We especially liked the ease of finding a place to eat because it was right next door through a joining hallway. Because it was in a busy time of year, we found the elevator was always very busy and sometimes we had to take the stairs. We found the location not too quiet as it was on a busy thoroughfare with plenty of trucks, and there really wasn't any place to take a nice walk after dinner. The staff were accommodating when they were around.
The hotel was clean. We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite and it was spacious for 6 adults and 2 kids. Housekeeping on that floor kept it clean and gave us extra towels. She was always very accommodating of our needs. The hotel was close to shopping. I would stay there again.
Spacious room with full kitchenette-fridge, stove, dishwasher etc. Two queen beds and pull out couch. Good space for our family. Room was reasonably clean. Unfortunately breakfast not included, but with kitchen in room we were able to buy groceries. No pool, but allowed to use pool at hotel across car park. Not enough parking slots. They should expand and/or fine people who take two parking spaces.
The room was clean and the bed was OK. Although I can't say the same thing about the pillows. Just an OK stay for a night. Its located in a convenient location. They don't offer free breakfast but Ricky's Grill is there and you get 25% off as you stay in the hotel. Internet was terrible. BTW don't stay in the room facing highway/big street. I kept waking up by the noise of car.
This hotel is close to highway and grocery store. We manage to fit 5 people, three adults and two children in the suite. Spacing is tight after pulling out the sofa bed. We also get only three sets of linen even my reservation stated five people will be checking in. The housekeeper did not stock up enough. The suite has a fully equipped kitchen. I find it's very conviniece to fix quick meal and relax after a long day ride. Friendly staff. No free breakfast but the on site restaurant gives discount if you mentioned you are hotel guest when asking for bill.
Stayed 1 night at this hotel. The hotel must have changed hands recently as there wasn't a big sign to say that it was a Best Western hotel. However, the room was perfectly fine and what I would expect from a Best Western hotel. The hotel was conveniently located near the highway and yet there was little to no noise from the street. All in all, a good place to stay.
We booked this hotel over the phone, and the staff (front desk directly at the hotel, not a central reservation number) struggled a ton; everything from quoting for the correct number of nights based on the dates I'd given her to sending a confirmation email was a challenge. The hotel is fine, nothing spectacular. The beds are comfortable, though the linens are worn and many are off-white which isn't super appealing. The linens in the bathroom are the same, with some of the face cloths looking like rags, with holes in them. The wifi didn't work, and the front desk staff couldn't understand that the password was not the source of the issue. The housekeeping was less than ideal, with only some items being restocked in the bathroom, the tub not being cleaned, etc. The attached restaurant didn't honour the 25% off breakfast (though we said when we arrived we were from the hotel) until we asked the waitress to correct our bill. Overall, this is a fine place to stay; I am certain there's a better hotel at the same price point.
I was travelling with a small group of riders and stayed at this Inn. The location was ideal as we were planning on continuing to Lumby the next day. Since it is on a major route, there is traffic noise, but then again, what hotel, motel, inn doesn't have some to contend with. There wasn't a continental breakfast which the guys wish they had. The room itself was large, had all the necessary things a person would want.
The room was clean and well stocked with towels etc. I would stay here again and extend my recommendation to other travellers. Staff were friendly and helpful, particularly the woman at check-in and check-out. Convenient amenities around the area of the hotel.
Hotel just joined the Best Western Organization. They have learned quickly but missed giving an upgrade, or did not mention that hotel was full and couldn't provide one. It was noisy due to be next to the intersection on the highway so trucks and motorcycles are noisy on the green lights-no issue unless you are looking for quiet-ask for a room away from the intersection. Ricky's restaurant had standard food.
We stayed here for a couple of nights in may and it was very nice. It was new and very clean. The room was comfy well appointed and modern. We had a good nights sleep and had no complaints. It would have been nice if there was a pool and more parking but overall it was good value for your dollar.
The room was very clean, the pillows were the best I have ever slept on. Ricky's Grill was on site so there was access to great food. There was a pool and hot tub that rounded off the stay. I would recommend staying here as access to the many restaurants, casino and highway are close by. This is a newer hotel as well and very well kept.
Clean rooms, stayed 1 night. Staff was friendly. Free wifi. Ricky's restaurant attached and 15% discount if staying at hotel. Free parking. Air conditioner was bit noisy but worked. Near casino and near large grocery store.
Beds are comfortable as is the room, hotel is quiet and clean always, an easy check-in and never seems to be any drama, I believe it is being taken over by Best Western in the future so hopefully the quality of service does not change nor the staff my go to place each time I visit Vernon
We booked for three nights in a king non-smoking room. The room was lovely, spacious and appeared clean (you just never know, though, right??. I always mean to bring a package of disinfectant wipes when I hotel it, but I forgot). Our room faced a busy intersection, and there was a bit of traffic noise so the windows stayed closed. The elevator smelled strongly of smoke, so I think maybe there is a smoking floor??? Not sure though. On our second day, neither my key or my husband's key would work. We were standing outside with arms full of stuff, and we had to put it on the floor to go and get our cards re-keyed. Not a big deal, just a pain. On our third day, we had no maid service whatsoever!! We always try to be conscious of the environment and reuse our towels and request the sheets not be switched out every day, but the bed wasn't even made and the towels we had thrown in the tub to be switched out were still in the tub. There was a little fridge and microwave in the unit, which is great if you're staying somewhere for more than a day or two. The fridge was completely warm, and we pulled it out to find it wasn't plugged in. Kinda dusty back there, but I wouldn't expect that area to be cleaned every day. The service and food at the attached Ricky's restaurant was great! I had oatmeal, fruit and toast, and the oatmeal was just right and piping hot. Bottom line...I don't think we'll stay there again and will cross the parking lot to the Holiday Inn Express instead.
Find another hotel as the front desk clerk told us this happens often because there is new staff who don't get the computer system. I booked a room with 2 beds king suite at this hotel a month and a half in advance of staying to travel with my father. When we got checked in at the hotel, the keys to the room they gave us did not work. I went back down to the front desk and had the cards rekeyed and went back up to go in to the room. Much to my surprise (& I'm sure his) there was a gentleman standing in the room i was given. Again, i went down to the front desk to talk with the front desk clerk who seemed surprised as he said the computer showed no one in that room. He managed to find me another room next door however, there is one bed with barely enough room to turn around. When i asked about another room i was td there were no more in the hotel, it was this or i would have to go somewhere else. So here i am for 2 days, and adult female now having to share a bed with my father or sleep on the floor! Did i mention, there was also conveniently for them, no manager on duty until Monday
