Best Western Sanctuary Inn

I had an excellant stay for 2 nights to attend the Astronomy & Science Centre in Tamworth. The room is small but okay for a single person or couple. The only complaint I would have is my car park in front of my room was taken when I came back, had to park car behind my room and walk back to the room. I was leaving the next morning and glad the car park in front of my room was empty in the morning, moved car back to put my gear in. Other wise it was a good 2 nights.

Nice, clean place, friendly and helpful staff. Restaurant always pleasant and the food is excellent. Decent wine selection with some pairing suggestions. Rooms clean and quiet. The beds are comfortable and mixture of pillow types. Small thing: only a few channels on the tv work

We stayed at Sanctuary Inn for 2 nights. It was close to the CBD, Fast Food shops, supermarket and liquor store. Our room had mini bar and other goodies but we chose to eat out. I didn't read properly and didn't see there wasn't a microvave. Continental breakfast that was part of our deal was really good. Gave us lots of choice of cereal, juice, bread. Fruit salad, yoghurt, tea, coffee were also part of breakfast. Pool was in a nice spot with view out to the hills. The hot tub was cold. Would have been nice if it was hot. This is the 2nd time we have stayed at Sanctuary Inn and we would stay gain next visit to Tamworth.

We stayed in a pet room (49), which was very basic with a dirty floor (plastic, cheap and nasty, definitely not wood!),stained sheets and a grubby doona - very yuk! We were told on check in that the room was renovated - in what year? Also missing were bathrobes, and a rug on the floor (as per your website). Just because we have dogs does not mean we should be happy with low standards of cleanliness - even our well groomed dogs didn't like walking on the floor as it was sticky! We asked about the outdoor dining area we were told on the phone about, to be shown a basic table and two chairs in the car park, right next to a large noisy vent - appalling! Even though we had arrived late at 7.30pm, we decided to venture out to dine. The motel is dog tolerant at best, certainly not dog friendly. Staff were not welcoming or friendly, more officious in giving instructions before returning to their own conversations about finding other jobs! Breakfast very basic with stale bread, and cereal that came out of the packet in a big lump as it was so stale - again yuk! Overall, the place is very tired and run down - definitely not 4 star. Interestingly, we later bumped into another couple with dogs at a cafe in Gunnedah who had stayed there, and they agreed with our feedback, telling us they had written a letter of complaint.

Travelled here for a weekend away for a family members birthday. On the outside it appears nice. The dining room/reception area to check in presents a nice expectation. But then you get your room. Walking in, I felt like I was back in the late 80s. The decor was outdated and tacky. The bed was hard as a rock and the amenities were lacking. Decided to have a shower and wash the 5.5hr drive away. While in there, the pipes started gurgling noticeably. I didn't pay much mind to it, but when I got out, rhe water had come out of the floors drain and flooded the bathroom to just under ankle height. It had flowed out of the bathroom to the front door and the place now resembled a lagoon. Over the space of 10 minutes the water slowly went back down the drain but something was clearly wrong. I went to sleep to the sweet sound of the toilet making gurgling noises. We read the room guide to find receptions number as it was 10pm and report it, found out what number to call and couldn't because there was no phone in the room lol The next morning we went for breakfast in the dining room. I will say it was a nice variety and selection, the fruit was fresh and I left happy. While in the reception area, I made note of the pipe issue with them and was moved to another room. When I went in the new room, the floors were stained badly, it smelt funky and the bathroom was in disgusting condition. Blue rust surrounded the metal soap holder stuck on the wall, black gooey grime was in the corners of the shower and to be honest, you felt more disgusting AFTER your shower. Air conditioner rattled at night, but it was too hot to not have on and the bed was again hard as a rock. All in all, I'd never stay again, don't waste your money. Find somewhere better 1 minute down the road.

Great room, comfy bed, huge shower and beautiful finishes . food not as good as expected from a rated restaurant and high prices . Needs a blind over the window on top of door due to the verandah light shining in all night. Mini bar requires a re-vamp more suited to non beer/wine drinkers .

Would be nice if they dropped their rates for bona fide artists for the festival. Understand they have to make the most of what's on offer. It seems other Hotels have dropped their rates for artists and return customers. Pleasant Hotel and cleaning staff were excellent - kept the place tidy and surprisingly no traffic noise despite location. Nice pool.

We stayed in this hotel whilst visiting Tamworth for country music festival Basic hotel room but couldn't fault it at all. Well worth the visit Will definitely come back again Thanks for your hospitality

I was really happy with my stay, the bed was comfortable the shower was amazing and warm. I was really happy with how clean the room was. The only thing I got upset about was when myself and my partner were locked out of our room because they card key wouldn't work but that didn't stuff up my holiday.

Great, clean and tidy pet friendly accommodation with a good included breakfast. Pups loved the off leash area where they could go and burn after energy after travelling all day. The continental breakfast can be delivered to you for a small fay which may getting ready to leave a lot easier than going to the dining room

All good ..have stayed every year same time and booked for 2024..Good Restaurant..We continuie to come back every year as it gives us exactly what we want..Prices are reasonabgle and service first class.

The room was comfortable and clean. We were welcomed and accepted with our small well-behaved dog, and appreciated a room on the ground level near the footpath grass for walking him. We enjoyed a delicious continental breakfast each morning and a very nice evening meal. Service and all staff were friendly and helpful.

Very clean and tidy, loved the wash and shampoos etc... Staff we friendly and helpful. However everytime someone used the tap in another room there would be a loud noise, probably from the hot water system or water pressure, anyway it was quite startling and did disturb my sleep.

The room was tidy and everything we needed was there the staff were kind and welcoming but it did have a slight mouldy smell . The shower wasn't very clean and we unfortunately didn't have hot water it was luke warm but definitely not hot . All in all a comfortable little spot but did need a little extra tlc.

Great experience. The beds were comfortable. There is a power point for CPAP. Although next to a busy road was quiet during the night. Great restaurant attached with a good wine menu and the food was great. Breakfast included was a great addition

Nice room. Nice food. Friendly service. Had a cold shower unfortunately but things happen so I don't expect that to happen again but it did start the day off slightly worse than I hoped. The flooring in the restaurant is horrendous that subfloor needs serious attention I've never walked over something so noisy that was truly terrible and needs attention.

Really nice and spacious superior queen room with comfortable bed and furnishings. Had an excellent meal in their on site restaurant served by friendly and helpful staff. We will stay there any time we are passing through the area. An unexpected bonus was a laundry available to visitors that was very well appointed and at nil cost.

My new husband and I had the best night staying with the best Western. Our room was clean and in perfect working order. We received Champagne on arrival and the room had a jacuzzi tub, which utilised and we are not small people and we both fitted. We would recommend this place to anyone…

I looked online for a nice quality motel for a couple of nights away with my wife for her birthday, Saw the Best Western Sanctuary Inn and it looked very enticing and nice quality rooms. Not wanting lavish quality I chose the standard Queen room instead of the Prestige Queen room. On arrival to the choosen room I was shocked at the very low quality of the room in total, the furishings were sub standard, there was no carpet on the floor, (was timber floating flooring) very cold and uninviting. I returned to reception and said it was disappointed in the quality of the room and was told this was what a standard room was. I pointed out that there was not carpet on the floor and was told that the room had not long been repainted and the timber floor layed which was there standard room. I said that this doesn,t reflect what is on ther web site. I was moved into a Prestige Queen room which was nice.

Clean, well appointed room and comfortable bed. Excellent bar and restaurant. Staff were friendly and helpful. The fireplace area very cosy and appealing (even though it wasn't lit). Good selection of wines.

Room was in a Terrible state. $360 for two nights is a disgrace. Whoever rated this 4 stars should have gone to Specsavers! Dirty, damaged furniture, cracks in walls, needs urgent updating from the 1970s. Restaurant was good quality though expensive. Worst hotel we've ever stayed in our lives. ‘Free' breakfast only available until 9am! Doesn't work when you are on holidays and are kept up by loud passing traffic during the night. Sliding doors need double glazing

Had a great 2 night stay at Best Western Sanctuary Inn in Tamworth. We were upgraded to a Premier Queen room which had a Queen bed and a single bed. The room was quite spacious and very clean and in a good state of repair. The bed was very comfortable and had good quality linen and a great pillow selection. Our only complaint would be that there was only 1 chair in the room. One of us had to sit on the bed to eat our room service meal or to watch television. Parking was available close to our room. The location is very good - quiet at night but very close to the town centre and the Country Music Hall of Fame. The restaurant was classy and had a good selection to choose from. The food was excellent and the staff were very helpful and knowledgeable, assisting in our choice of diabetic appropriate food. We also appreciated the free use of a washing machine and dryer.

Our room was absolutely beautiful, our bed was very comfy, shower was wonderful too! It was so nice after travelling and arriving to such a clean property all round. We also had the most beautiful evening meal in the restaurant. Continental brekky was so yummy! Thank you!

Bathroom very tired with grout in shower deteriorated badly and paint missing in places. Prices virtually doubling for Gunnedah Field Days week was excessive and I wont be using the facility again. Restaurant and housekeeping staff were friendly and helpful.

The hotel room was clean, comfortable and it was serviced daily. I really liked the pressure on the shower, specially after a long day at AgQuip! Convenient location and room service menu - the only downfall is the in-room phone never worked and the hotel phone number was never answered as they were probably really busy with all the visitors. However a few steps to the restaurant to place an order and get the food delivered.

Comfortable, clean, all you need. The staff in both the motel and the restaurant were fantastic. We had an issue when we arrived that was taken care of in a very professional and caring manner, we really appreciated that. We ate at the restaurant and the meal was amazing. All in all great place to stay.

Our stay was very pleasant & the staff were fantastic & very helpful. Towels in the bedroom are the best we`ve ever used. Dinner in the restaurant was outstanding & the continental breakfast was very good. Easy walking distance to the town centre.

Excellent service from staff - and the dinner we had was exceptional. Rooms are comfortable & spacious. Only complaint is that the airvent in the bathroom is very clogged and the toilet paper is way too thin. Otherwise, a fabulous stay.

Comfortable bed, good shower, quiet room, great continental breakfast included, staff friendly and efficient, convenient location. The property could do with a few repairs and maintenance but nothing too major. Would definitely stay here again

A comfortable and clean motel that could do with a decor refresh. Our room was spacious but quite old fashioned. Not amazing value for money but then the rugby was on so that probably drove the price up for the weekend we went.

Average room at expensive rate. Bed was pretty hard and shower seemed to only have super hot or cold. Room was tidy & staff were friendly. Restaurant served good food. Parking was a challenge when coming back at night , has to park on main road.

We booked the pet-friendly room and it was the perfect size for us and our cat. The bathroom is a great size and the bed was super comfy after a very long day on the road traveling from Hay to Tamworth.

Tried to used mobile only booking on Booking.com but it wouldn't work We rang the establishment and they matched the price staff were excellent they couldn't do enough for us late departures not a problem Definately will book again.

Clean , Bed was very comfy air condition food was good plus good choices for the breakfast also well priced stay & for food. Staff where lovely very helpful & friendly. Close to shops. Had a nice time would stay there again

The room was great, very flash! The staff were very professional and friendly. They made us feel very welcome at both the reception and the restaurant. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting a great, comfortable place for a night or week away.

Great stay it was for my partners brithday they had the room all set up and I all so decided to ask her marry me we had a wonderful night that I will never forget for the rest of my life I plan on having my honeymoon there because it was wounder fill

We booked a standard queen room. The room, Room 31 was disappointing. It looked very tired and worn. It is very much due for a renovation and updating. The bed was comfortable. There was a corner spa in the bedroom area with the shower over it. This meant little privacy when showering, a large step over the edge of the deep spa bath to get in and out, and you had to ensure the exhaust fan was on otherwise the smoke alarm started beeping. The bathroom had a basin and toilet. Not sure why they didn't design the room so the spa was included in the separate toilet basin area. There was enough room to put a wall across both. There were mini bar items in the bar fridge with all items having a dot sticker on them. I'm assuming to stop people using the items then restocking with items from the Woolworths nearby. Its location is 10 minute walk to the restaurants and hotels in the main street.

the place was pretty clean but l did see a few dead cockroaches around. The restaurant meals were pretty expensive dinner or breakfast , l just ate in town. Parking and check were good staff were friendly. good location in town

Clean and comfortable. Great staff really looked after our dietary requirements. Good location for the festival just 15 minute walk to Peel Street and the Fanzone. Easy walks to pubs and eateries and loads of free parking.

Unfortunately a brief stay,(2nights) due to work, travel and pets at Home but been yrs since I was at country festival so wanted to come along this yr ..friendly prompt approachable and informed staff .. beautiful continental breakfasts.walkable distance to town, slight hiccup with shower leak but was promptly fixed,door stop caught on the carpet but not a big deal pool could do with more regular netting but was refreshing after a hot full day,wished room didn't back onto other rooms so window view was other Doors.. bottles supposed to be complimentary in room but only had one and worried water in fridge cost so didn't drink it.loved the little chocciea thankyou.contintental breakfast agree with complimentary with TCMF as room prices escalated during this time and helps with the appeal although when I booked was not aware of it so it was a plus on arrival ☺️..will stay again

This little gem is beautiful inside. All done up, with everything we could have asked for including a lovely bed, bathrobes, tv, lounge area, tables, fridge area, bathroom and facilities - dog exercise area, seperate kids play area, pool, guest lounge, bar, happy hour and the best resturant we've visited. Seriously. Food to die for. And a top notch buffet breakfast - fresh bread from the local bakery, fruits, any drink you can imagine. The staff, well what do you think the staff are like in a happy place? They are wonderful of course! We'll be back. Quiet place next to town, no road traffic noise and close to everything. Including the amazing hill top views over Tamworth, just a quick drive up the road behind the Hotel (and botanical gardens). A lovely place and the New England Highway should have its own travel show. Really very pretty country. Lots of safe parking too and folk had their pets with them. A mix of guests. Relaxing and quiet.

We would definitely stay at Best Western Sanctuary Tamworth again. Very friendly helpful staff. Great facilities and a very comfortable room. Great location close to everything you may need. The motel also boast a great restaurant.

What a total misrepresentation of the room were were issued (28 - a 'disabled' room) from those appearing on the Agoda website which looked to be moderately contemporary with own kitchenette, etc and pretty acceptable appointments. Instead we were shoved into a very tired (1950's era) room with old carpeting, one small round wooden table (which was in need of re-sanding & re-coating) and two chairs, a bar fridge buried away behind a door which opened in opposite direction to the fridge door, no milk for tea/coffee making, a very low hand basin with a mirror above that was not full length so useless for someone who is 200cm tall. No light above the vanity and about a 25 watt bulb providing dingy light to the bathroom. The shower recess was tiny and not suitable for anyone, abled or disabled. Even the 'disabled car space' out the front was just a standard size so I have no idea of how a disabled guest would navigate their way out of their car if other cars were parked next to their spot. On raising these concerns with the lass at reception, I was told we were in a 'standard room' which is what we had booked. End of story, no empathy, no offer to make good. We dined at their Riviera restaurant on the first night, and whilst the service was fine and the steak which both my partner & I ordered was cooked medium-rare as requested, the meat itself was as tough a piece of stringy rubbish as I've ever had served (and cost $45.00 each!) Certainly fails to live up to Best Western standard. Indeed I wonder if we were downgraded to this shoddy old room because we booked through Agoda and the owners resent paying commission. We most certainly shall never return to this place: much better rooms are available elsewhere for the price were charged. Keep well away!

We stayed here for two nights. What impressed us most about the hotel was the staff. Nothing was too hard and they were very friendly,. The room was clean and comfortable though in need of an update as it was old.

Nice stay, Renovated pet friendly room. Lovely pool and fenced dog area. Easy walk to town. Staff are polite and friendly. The hotel has A lovely dining room and bar area where we enjoyed a very tasty breakfast. Easy checkin and check out.

Of all the places we stayed on our recent 3 week trip to North West NSW, this was the let down. Sure the room was big and clean and fairly comfortable but there was something missing. The staff were friendly enough but we didn't feel any sense of true warmth or welcome. The included continental breakfast was a major disappointment with only cereal, banana bread and one other option. It offered only sachet coffee which was available in the room anyway. You had to pay extra for everything else. In all fairness however, we should say that after giving our feedback directly to the hotel, they have taken all our comments on board. The hotel recently acquired new owners and they are in the process of getting the hotel, staff and facilities up to a higher standard. The location of the hotel was perfect for us to visit friends so we would probably give them another try in future.

Rooms clean, large and comfortable beds. Staff friendly and helpful. We had a pup with us and appreciated the fenced in yard for him to have a play. We had dinner from the restaurant. The steak was beautiful and the service was great. Would highly recommend this motel as a stop.

Comfortable room, nice food and friendly staff - nothing was too much trouble. Well located. Restaurant food is amazing. Service was great. Parking on site. Had a quieter room down the back which was good.

Reserved a pet friendly room which was perfect for what we required. Especially liked the closed off lawn area behind the pool which was perfect for our puppy. My only gripe was that the bathroom although a great size could do with an upgrade.

Excellent place to stay overnight by myself. Food was fantastic and service from the staff friendly and helpful. Room was a little small with a king bed in it, but very clean. Couldn't recommend this place high enough. I'll be back.

We were travelling with our cavalier and chose this accommodation as they are dog friendly. Unfortunately for being dog friendly, the reception staff did not have any knowledge or could not provide any recommendations on dog friendly places to eat in the area and insisted we would only be able to get room service. Walking along the main street, Peel St in Tamworth, we found that there are plenty of dog friendly restaurants/pubs to eat at with staff who are more than willing to accommodate your pooch. One night we did decide to order in room service and when we received our meal, we had to wait on cutlery as our room only provided cutlery for 1 person. Food was also average. There is a grassed area for dogs to toilet and run, however no water bowl was provided. The swimming pool was closed and dirty, with a sign displayed on the gate that the pool was not open until Spring. However, it was Spring. If looking for friendly dog accommodation we would look elsewhere as yes this place does accommodate dogs but that's where it ends. Otherwise if you're looking for basic accommodation for yourself then no problems.

Survived two nights. The maid left the door wide open and the room unattended while I was out. The 2nd morning of my stay it took two attempts to get my breakfast served correctly . The bed was comfortable and the bath was nice but I prefer my belongings secure and the breakfast I actually ordered hot and served with cutlery.

Excellent staff. Lovely clean room. A little dated but very comfortable and very clean. Had an awesome meal at the restaurant for dinner. Very reasonable rate as well thank you ladies. Nice margarita

Immaculately clean & great amenities (comfy bed). Excellent service at check in and the bar/restaurant. Restaurant food was delicious - pork belly first night and sirloin the next. McDonalds, Oporto, Subway, Woolworths and Dan Murphys just across the road.

To say we were disappointed would be an understatement. The room was very tired and very poorly furnished. All very old and in desperate need of a refurbishment. Having said that, the bed and linen was clean. Doubt we would ever return, and definitely not what we expected from a Best Western

Great motel which is very dog friendly! We loved our stay. The dog yard was great for our fur baby after a long drive, the meals in onsite restaurant were superb (highly recommend the ribs and the risotto). And a big shout out to staff member Rebecca for her amazing hospitality and care towards our Pug (including ensuring he received his welcome treat). Highly recommend!

Great check-in process - friendly and helpful front desk staff. Room was newly renovated, modern and clean. Restaurant area very popular with hotel guests and locals. I had a great stay and pleasantly surprised by this gem of a hotel.

Very expensive compared to other in town not renovated damage room large crack above door jam bad plumbing toilet bubbled while I was in the shower. I was not able to leave a ‘disappointed' review when clicked on the sad face in the email it only came up with an email option.

Very friendly staff, good-sized rooms, adequate parking. Some rooms need a little maintenance (dripping taps, missing grout, cracked benchtop. Exterior building well-presented, clean and fresh. Nice menu choices in the restaurant.

It was ok. Positives: Good walking distance to town, Dan Murphys and Woolworths. Staff at the restaurant were lovely. Great free breakfast. Excellent block out blinds. Negatives: Dirty wooden floor. Bra located in the pull down sofa. Loft upstairs very hot. (Cold and rainy days). Uncomfortable pull down sofa. Two TV's but can't have both going due to cross over of noise. Shower curtain instead of screen. Only two chairs at a tiny little table to eat at. Barista coffee is awful. My friends were woken by drunk rowdy neighbours on two separate occasions and night management did not answer phone.

Though I didn't end up staying at this great place, the customer service I received in the cancellation process of my room was above and beyond, Maureen was a great ambassador and her polite, professional yet friendly manner, calmed what was a stressful situation and resulted in a positive outcome. If this service is what occurs when a customer is unable to stay I look forward to my next opportunity to experience the same if not probably more, when I get the chance to stay in the future, thanks again

Very clean room, and the bed was really comfortable. It is also close to shopping and main street. I eas able to walk across the street to Woolies. Reception staff polite and efficient. Plenty of parking.

staff were excellent meals very good thugh a little on the pricy side ambiance in dining roomvery good service also verygood.on our first night room was quite old and dated air conditioner so noisy we had to turn it off but room was clean and comfortable we have stayed at this venue now on multiple occasions and allmother times rooms were good.we will stay again

Room was dated nothing like the pictures. Room smelled like sewerage. Cupboards broken, mould in bathroom, shower leaked onto carpet in room. No allocated parking near room was told to just park anywhere. Will never stay here again.

Food is amazing, room service was a delicious treat. Staff are so nice, even helped take my bags to the room. The suite was stunning, the balcony was so nice in the warm morning sun! We had a very relaxing time.

The rooms are very dated and in need of an urgent make over. Could have been cleaner. The old spa has a shower over it with a shower curtain. Somewhat disappointing for still premium cost. Other then a central location the rooms are not very appealing sadly

Needs updating shower had mould would be extremely hot in summer looks like a cell block. Photos on line look nothing like the room we had, very disappointed. The pictures of the outside of the hotel give a false opinion, it's actually located on a very busy main road. It's basically a very old roadside travel inn.

Lovely clean rooms, big bathrooms and good water pressure. superb restaurant and friendly staff. Parking was easy and the hotel is very close to the center of Tamworth. We will definitely be booking in again next family holiday.

Best Western Sanctuary Inn provides a very comfortable and good value stay option for Tamworth. Rooms are clean, comfortable and appointed with all essential amenities. Although the location is conveniently located on the Oxley Highway, noise is not a problem. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Breakfast offers very good value, with well prepared food served in generous portions at reasonable prices.

This hotel was perfect for our one night stay with our dog. Room was very clean, bed was comfy, shower was hot, what more do you need! Restaurant even set a table up for us outside so we could take our furbaby. Food was delicious. Highly recommend.

Couldn't fault the service. Room was lovely and warm on arrival and though old style it had everything we needed. Bed was very comfy. Restaurant and bar so handy - make sure you book ahead. Grocery store right across the road. Very quiet room considering its on a main road.

Stayed for one night beds were very uncomfortable had a sleepless night during my stay.. Paid $250 for a night where the bed was moving on the wheels and the sofa bed was mattress was so cheap quality.

This motel is conveniently located close to shops and is on the highway if you are travelling through. We were in room 12 and it is in need of refurbishment. The bathroom was clean but plain… but the exhaust fan was loud enough to wake the dead. The bed was over-soft and not very comfortable. The carpet in the entry needed restretching and covered a hole in the floor under the table. This could be a very nice room but it is long overdue for an update.

Great place to stay. Convenient to everything, great room, great service, very quiet! Will definitely come back to stay here when we spend more time in Tamworth. Great breakfast in the very well presented restaurant. We really enjoyed our stay here.

The motel was located in a good location for our travels. Whilst it is on the outskirts of the town and th ere weren't many eating establishments nearby, we still had a choice of eating at the motel or at a nearby chinese restaurent. As we arrived late and only needed to stay one night , this did not r.eally concern us

The room was fairly good except the AC did not function properly and the cold soak in the room was considerable. Also the bathroom wash basin had a large crack across it and was unsightly. The tea and coffee set up was very good.

We had a lovely stay at Best Western Sanctuary Inn with our pet. We were given a loft room, it was very clean, comfortable and lots of room for a family of four and a dog. Great breakfast too. We will stay again

I regularly stay at the Best Western Sanctuary Inn and find the facilities and amenities well above standard. Close to the city and comfortable rooms providing everything required. Always enjoy my stay there.

Room was comfortable with everything required for a short stay. Not high end decor and in need of some attention but beds were clean. Bathroom was the let down with large cobwebs and grimy sink drain. Not cleaned too well. Shower a little defective but gave us a laugh. Restaurant - for dinner food was very good menu had some varied options not much in the way of vegetarian. Breakfast - continental basic but included in the room price, and all the usual on the a la carte menu. Staff all very friendly and accommodating. Price was odd as we stayed Tuesday and Wednesday and one night was more expensive than the other. Probably a little overpriced in its current state.

Staff were super friendly and helpful on arrival, check in was seamless and plenty of room for parking. I had room 33 which is tucked away in the back corner (this meant it was super quiet from the outside world). The only off putting thing was the mouldy smell when I first opened the door, like the carpet had been wet or a water leak in the bathroom. You didnt notice the smell after a while and the room was very clean and laid out well (although a small space).

The room was lovely. The staff of a night at the restaurant very lovely (Friday 15th July), understanding of the children with us and supportive. Our drinks and food came out in good timing. Breakfast was very ordinary (16th July). The staff of a morning very slow, very abrupt and not happy in their presentation. Sunday morning for breakfast the staff much better, they were the same staff we had Friday night. Sunday night for dinner, staff very nice. Overall our stay was lovely, there were 11 of us in the family staying there. We just felt there were some staff that could have stepped up, could have made us feel better than they did.

This is my first ever review on a motel. Booked a room at this motel Wednesday at 4.30pm. Advised at 5.01pm that my room that I booked, confirmed and paid for, was no longer available. I asked did she have an alternative room to the standard room booked. EVELYN said they were completely booked. I said that I was disappointed and asked if she could maybe book me somewhere else. The response from EVELYN was beyond RUDE. I drove to the Best Western Sanctuary Inn anyway and entered reception to see if any rooms were available. I was told YES they have a room available but the rate was a lot higher. I asked if they could do a better deal considering what had already happened. EVELYN was extremely rude again. As a owner of a motel, I would suggest some training in customer service would be warranted. No one should be treated with such disrespect. Cannot comment on the rooms but from what I have read, I have not missed out on much. Booked into the City Sider Motor Inn down the road and couldn't be happier. Friendly service with a smile and couldn't do enough for you. Book direct for a complimentary cooked breakfast.

Overall a good experience, the restaurant food was very good and the bed and room was OK… only downside was bathroom was tired, old fixtures, grout needs cleaning. I was in an accessible room, and the accessible car space was poorly marked was often taken by other residents (all parking is unallocated)... I was surprised that despite being on corner of 2 busy roads, inside the rooms and restaurant, it was very quiet.

The room was a little tired and cramped for a queen and a single . The carpet is showing its age and there is amassive gap below the door. The bedspread on the single bed was tatty. The evening meal was good and the pie first class. Otherwise the stay was satisfactory but not memorable

1970s air-conditioner was the only source of heating on a freezing night. blowing air over the bed. no power outlets near bed or desk meaning cables dangerously strewn across the room for my laptop. HD TV was actually an old SD unit. Could hear nextdoor guest urinating through the night. reception staff laughed at my expense when i arrived. shower was good. cleaning staff were very helpful.

Room was clean and the cleaning staff were amazing, the reception and restaurant staff were extremely rude and unhelpful, I would suggest the staff do a training course on customer service, as their skills are seriously lacking!

We requested two rooms side by side as we have a young family and on arrival we found our rooms at completely opposite sides. There was little to no flexibility in resolving the problem. The free Continental Breakfast was akin to bait advertising - a Demi offer requiring overpriced upsell to meet a normal in take - I'm glad we didn't have dinner the night before.

I found gum in the sheets and my room flooded, like coming out of the drains on the floor, the toilet, the sink everywhere. And coming out onto the carpet, called reception and they offered to give me towels as an solution. Then when I told them I want a new room, they told me they had none available, when they finally came and checked the room, only then did I get offered another smaller room.

We stayed in The sanctuary inn for a sporting tournament. The motel rooms were sufficient - bed was comfortable, it was warm and it was conveniently located. Breakfast is painfully slow though, so if you're in a hurry, give yourself plenty of time in the mornings.

The Staff were rude, only nice staff member was the young lady who delivered room service. The noise from traffic and trucks were loud, unable to sleep with noise, especially on Monday nights with trucks using compression breaks at the roundabout. My room smelt like sewer all the time, could not leave the bathroom door opened. Restaurant over priced, over rated, was to spicy of food selections, you must book for dinner otherwise you get looked down on.

The food was amazing and staff were very kind and accommodating would definitely stay here again. Great coffee and rooms just needed a microwave do I could heat my baby's bottles then the stay would of been perfect

I'll be straight to the point. I had the worst experience at this hotel and have had better experiences in a 2 star hotel, in a third world country. There is malice in this review just honest truth . Right from the start there were warning bells. We booked to check in late (9pm-yes that's late in Tamworth) Staff called a number of times on our trip to see where we were. It was made very clear they were full and wanted to-fill the room if we weren't coming. Deposit already taken which was strange. Firstly the room looked nothing like the advertisement photo. Not even remotely! The room looked like it had not been touched since 1988. See photos. Timber surfaced worn, chairs stained, bed and lounge sagging and worn, cracked and stained shower screen/curtain (yes a shower curtain), old and noisey air conditioner, broken racks in fridge etc etc. I could go on all day. Just before going to bed, I try and close the front door and lock is jammed allowing the door to swing open all night and let the freezing cold air in. Had to push a chair up against it till the morning. It was very windy and freezing cold air was blowing through old downlight fittings like ducted air conditioner. The toilet blocked on first use. When I say blocked, it overflowed and required the plumber to come. This happened twice and we eventually started using the toilet at our business location. Staff member tells me its been happening for weeks and always happens when there full!! Complimentary buffet breakfast. This beats them all. Turned up 15 mins early for the allocated breakfast start time. We are met with 19 people standing in line with one staff member allocating tables and taking order (yes there is no self serve Buffett) oner by one. I try and speak with staff and pretty much get ignored apart from one highly rude lady who says "we are very busy". Obviously have not allocated enough staff for the guest numbers. Come home that night and guess what?? hot water runs out mid way through a shower. Keep in mind its been 0-2 degrees overnight in Tamworh. Next morning, no hot water. Report it to the cleaner and se said water is tripping out AGAIN?? We spend the entire day out and return about 9pm. You guessed it still no hot water. I take it to the reception and explain our predicament. To my surprise im told they are full and have no showering options for us! We brave it and have a ice shower as we're both pretty dusty from the day. Next morning same situation at breakfast but only 6 in people line. we get seated and have 30 minutes to eat and get to our function. Take 10 minutes for the waiter to come back and tell that there is no self serve and the complimentary continental breakfast apart from banana bread, yogurt and what looked like tinned fruit. (Toast was extra $) My friend asked for the banana bread and I passed. He walked over to pick up the banana bread and was told it would be brought over to him. 15mins later nothing on table. We cancelled and walked out again as we were now running late. On our walk out the other waiter said "do you want to take it to go" Wow. Whilst out, we decided to cancel one day early and try and find alternate accomodation. (this is the first time anywhere in the world I've decided to do this). On our return to the room, yes you guessed it, no hot water and toilet blocks again. We check out next morning and go through the issues with the Manager of the property. From the start it was excuse after excuse about full capacity, they're the biggest hotel blah blah etc etc. There was no real apology, no offer of discount, nothing. They did however say we could came back and have a shower at 11.00am in a vacated room Just to rub salt into the wounds! Ive stayed at Best Westerns around the work and this is a blight on the brand to say the least. Very poorly managed and no consideration to unhappy guests. Just about getting in the dollars whilst cutting as many corners as possible from my point of view. Buyer beware. You take the gamble at this place to say the least.

We highly recommend Best Western Sanctuary motel Tamworth. Truly pet friendly, delicious food, fabulous bedding and helpful friendly staff. We will definitely be returning and would like to see more motels at this standard.

We were surprised to be given a room with the bedroom up stairs on a mezzanine level, very cosy and warm. Ton of space with everything we needed. Very comfortable room with a delightful bed. This wing of the establishment could be a problem if guests have mobility problems as the room is up a flight of stairs plus the bedroom is up another set of stairs once in the room. Continental breakfast provided in a well presented restaurant was adequate. Only downside is that it is right on the very busy main road but fortunately we both had earplugs which allowed a good night's sleep.

They have great staff and great food, I keep coming back time after time. I could stay across the road at the Powerhouse but I choose to stay at the Best Western Sanctuary Inn. The T-Bone is the best steak

Nice stay, room was good! Would love a microwave in the room and a sink plug, washing the babies bottles was really hard without a plug, and no high chairs for the rooms was hard. Great location. ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

My wife and I both had a relaxing sleep in a very comfortable bed. The room was quiet with all we required for a wonderful nights stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful absolutely first class. We ate in the restaurant and again the meals were first class, could not have asked for better. Definitely stay here again.

Receptionist ignored us for a number of minutes before she served us. Didn't give us invoice and still not received one. Came to get a drink at 9.38pm for my birthday and lady advised we could have one. Bar person advised bar was closed. People still on restaurant. A little disappointed. Rooms were very nice and bed comfy.

Friendlier greeting on arrival than last visit a few years ago. Overall more modern appearance and friendlier staff. Great location, comfortable bed. Breakfast was great although the included continental breakfast had far less inclusions than our previous visit (toast not even included). Breakfast menu was still well priced in general. Poached eggs were spot on.

Room was OK. Shower dreadful. As soon as adjusting with the cold tap thats all you got even with the hot tap on full. Mould around the shower base. Shower rose pathetic. Included continental breakfast nothing like a continental breakfast. Had to pay for a cup of coffee with breakfast

Clean and tidy rooms, plenty of car parking. Centrally located to local facilities in the town. I've stayed here three times now, has an mazing restaurant onsite with great fresh Italian food. Outstanding customer service from all staff - they are always very helpful.

Room was great - spacious, quiet , dark for sleeping. Not keen on shower over bathtub. Parking for room 49 was a little tight . We have stayed in a lot of places and felt it was a little pricey but as all the places seemed booked out maybe the price reflected demand for a busy weekend in Tamworth. We feel $150 was more realistic value.

I found my stay a tale of two halves. The service was friendly and accommodating. But the room was very average. Old lumpy pillows, carpet warn and grubby. The décor was old and tired. The bill at $370 for two nights was I felt pretty steep. Would I go back probably not. Was it terrible definitely not. It was average I guess.

Room was well furnished bed was large and very comfy. Bathroom was clean with everything we needed.loved the coffee pod machine. Good location close to shops and entertainment. The room was very quite at night.

We enjoyed our 2 night stay with only a couple of minuses. 1. Did not book for Friday night dinner so could not be seated for over an hour. No dramas - we ordered room service. Ordered bruscetta and a pizza. We are unsure as to what was served as "bruscetta" but it was nowhere near our expectation. Some sort of creamy substance smeared over warm bread. Unpalateable. The pizza arrived in a box! A $3.50 delivery fee on top of the sit down menu price! 2. Continental breakfast was included so we headed to the restaurant on Saturday morning. The offering was a juice and a choice of fruit, granola, oats or banana bread. No regular cereal. No toast. Just a casic traditional continental brekky would have been nice. 3. Our room fridge refused to keep things cool. We placed chilled drinks and ice bricks in on arrival and by the enxt morning it was barely cool. Reception could not confirm whether the fridge dial need to be to either min or max. Promised to have someone look at it. We headed out. No better that night so we gave up. A nice property trying to be a bit pretentious.

Hotel was very clean and staff were all very polite and well presented would recommend to all to give it a go, food was nice too. Close to where i had to go. My room was on the bottom floor out the back number 28 and did not here the highway noise at all which was great.

Room was noisy. Bed reasonably comfortable. Pillows were dreadful. Couldn't have an early breakfast (which we'd paid for) Digital credit cards a problem for reception. They had to charge an extra $100 on my card as they didn't have a hard copy.

We stayed in one of the dog friendly rooms. From the moment we arrived we (and our dog) were made to feel welcome...our dog was given some treats to enjoy! The room was a good size, the bed was comfy and the towels were large and soft. We ate room service from the restaurant which was scrumptious. We had breakfast at the restaurant and were advised on check in that there was a table outside for us to sit at so that our dog could join us. Staff looked after us so well and any staff member that walked by stopped to chat and pat our dog. Breakfast was lovely. Only downside was the noise from the road as the room is next to the road. That being said, our stay was beyond our expectations and we would definitely stay here again. We felt the staff went out of their way to ensure that our dog was well accommodated and welcomed.

I've stayed at the motel before, has great facilities, the rooms are very modern, beds cozy. My room to way away from the main road which made my room quiet. The only thing I would recommend if not already in place is to have heater on in pool to allow for those cooler months

Good sized rooms, very comfy bed and good breakfast. My room had fridge and microwave and crockery. 10 mins walk from Peel Street action for the festival. Felt very safe at the property, and walking back, alone. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Good size room and bathroom. Friendly staff greet you on check in snd check out. Didn't eat at restaurant as busy weekend in Tamworth and it was booked out but have heard great reports about it. Some parking spaces a little bit tight but you can park wherever you want

We usually stay at the best western in Quirindi, but it was full this time so headed to Tamworth. This accomodation was more dated but it was fine. Had everything we needed. We got confused where the reception was, but the staff were lovely when we found it!

Friend team and room was clean and tidy, albeit a little dated. Parking was great and easy access to the room. Nearby transport causes unavoidable noises, yet it did not deter a cracking nights sleep.

On check in was informed that the breakfast was included in stay by an abrupt lady. Thought great.. But very disappointed in the breakfast.. unless you want to pay extra.. you have a chose of 3 menu items. Paid less at other chains and continental breakfast included buffet style for free. . Room had a number of cracks in walls, spa was not operational and bath room was in need of make over.. But the room was large and bed was comfortable..

Natalie at reception was welcoming and warm. Room service was delicious and fast. Our room was spacious and quiet. The location is just around the corner from one of the best Chinese restaurants we have visited and there are many restaurants and shops only a short distance away. The breakfast hostess was fantastic!! She had that restaurant under control and she made sure that the customers were put first. She is a wonderful asset to the Best Western. We really enjoyed our short stay here and will stay again if we get back to Tamworth. Oh and having a free guest laundry is excellent.

The standard room was dark, had a large crack in the wall, and the bathroom was tired. It was clean and large but for the money we expected more. The breakfast service was not up to standard (cancelled a coffee as they had forgotten to make it) although the food was ok. The "included breakfast" is very limited and you can't even get toast without paying more. The parking for some rooms was almost impossible to use.

Location is great and staff throughout were outstanding. The restaurant is a standout and I would highly recommend. While i was a last minute check-in, the rooms overall are very basic and bathrooms extremely dated, as well as carpets which need some serious cleaning or replacement. Based on this I just don't see value for money, regardless of the staff's abilities. The photos on the website certainly don't represent the rooms themselves.

The lady was lovely and stayed behind to check me in after another Tamworth property failed to leave a room key out for me. The rooms were spotlessly clean and the bed was brilliant. Would stay here again when travelling to Tamworth without hesitation.

Average motel, the room smelt of cleaning chemicals. Included breakfast didn't start till 7 am which was a bit late to suit our plans. Rooms aren't very well noise proofed, you can hear toilet flush next door and noise from outside is heard loud in the room.

The only thing that they did well was know how to charge. The complementary breakfast was a joke, you had to choose between two slices of toast or a bowl of cereal with a small glass of juice with ice. The room was a shocker.

Our room decor was a little dated, but the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom clean, and everything worked. The restaurant was the stand-out. Try the duck rillette as a share plate, great presentation and more than enough for a meal after travelling all day.

Rooms clean but quite small and dark, airconditioner loud, bed was 2 singles pushed together and the divide in the middle was quite evident and uncomfortable. Room was near where people smoked and smoke was coming into the room. Check in was smooth although payment was attempted prior to arrival and on the credit card that was for holding the room only.

Excellent check-in service, very quiet comfortable room and comfortable beautiful food in the restaurant. Great location, not far from the town centre. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will stay here again the next time we're in Tamworth.

My wife and I stayed in room no. 19 on the night of 5th March 2022. We felt the room was small and dark, (with dark coloured furniture). The receptionist, upon our checking in, was unwelcoming and unpleasant. The car parking spaces (near our room) were fairly “tight” and there was no “allocated parking”. We paid $164 (including a continental breakfast each) for the single night. Our dinner at the restaurant was lovely (on the Saturday night 5/3/22). The continental breakfast itself was satisfactory. The young lady on reception, when we checked out, was very friendly and pleasant (a big contrast to the other receptionist lady who was on duty when we checked in). Overall, we did not find this motel “value for money” and overall we felt “disappointed”. We will be choosing another one of Tamworth's many motels when we are next staying in Tamworth.

Thanks to friendly staff on checkin and in the restaurant. The food great, beds comfy and ground floor room as requested. Try the Calamari and Pear Salad together- amazing taste. Would recommend See you next time.

Great location only a few minutes' dive away from the centre of town. Terrific restaurant where the food at dinner and breakfast was excellent and the service from the ladies on duty was fantastic. Nice rooms, hot shower, comfortable bed - all good.

Staying at this place is like return Home after a long work trip - Totally great service, clean rooms and great food. Easy entry to rooms and lots of off street parking. Close to fast food, supermarkets and town but why eat out - Great Restaurant and Menu Highly Recommend Staying Here

Photos on the website showed a modern, clean and simple hotel room. Our experience was with an extremely outdated room with large cracks in every surface, carpet older than myself, with a bathroom in a terrible state. Staff were lovely to deal with.

Close enough to everything and super quiet, even though it is on a main highway. Less than $10 in a cab to Peel Street pubs and restaurants. Very clean, excellent water pressure in the shower. Will definitely stay here again.

The room, pool and dog exercise area was fantastic and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Complimentary continental breakfast was not good at all. Choice of one item from a very small selection left us hungry and disappointed.

We were late into motel, reception rang to check if all was ok advised the restaurant we would be arriving and the staff in the restaurant were very welcoming and accomodating.thoroughly recommend to travellers. Reception was open after 9pm where most other hotels are closed for business at 7pm.

My family traveled to Tamworth for my Aunty's funeral. We go to Tamworth every few months and always stay at the Cadman Inn . Unfortunately as this was last minute they were booked out. We booked 3 family rooms at the Best Western Sanctuary Inn . We were bringing our 92 year old father with us and we were concerned about cleanliness of the accommodation with Covid-19 being so prevalent. We were assured upon booking that the rooms were cleaned to the highest COVID standards. We were also assured that 2 of the 3 rooms were next door to each other. When we arrived the two rooms were at opposite ends of the hotel. My elderly father need to use the bathroom and went straight into the bathroom in his room. He was confronted with a toilet that was full of feaces not just in the bowl but over the seat and dirty tissues/toilet paper on the sink area. I immediately went to reception that was unattended and so had to ask a waitress from the restaurant to help me even though the manager was sitting in the bar area having a drink they did not get up to ask if I was ok. My father was very upset and when the manager and a cleaner came to our room we asked if we could have another room we were told that there wasn't any and that the cleaner had done the room so maybe someone had come in after which then made us concerned with the security of the room. The cleaner spent a minute cleaning the mess and when I asked if she was using disinfectant she snapped at me. There was no offer of any compensation just a very half hearted apology. We had ordered room service as the kitchen was closing and we had ordered my father a pizza with prosciutto and tomato and a bottle of red wine for all of us . When the room service was delivered we received white wine and a pizza that had all different kinds of seafood. We sent both back and the staff member came back with the correct wine and handed us the pizza box and said that we were not being charged for the pizza. She left and we opened the pizza box and it was the same seafood pizza that we had sent back. The rooms were old and badly need refurbishing, the shower was in the bathtub so I had to help my father in and out to have a shower. The pictures on their website are very deceiving to what it looks like in reality. When I checked out the manager did not acknowledge any of the difficulties of our stay and there was no apology for the disgusting bathroom let alone any type of discount. The room service bill was not itemised so I have no idea if we paid for the wrong pizza or not. We will never stay at this place again and look forward next time we visit Tamworth to return to the Cadman Inn.

Very clean and modern renovated room. The staff were friendly and professional. The Bar and Restaurant was very well presented and the quality of the meals excellent. The queen bed was very comfortable and air conditioning was good. Overall good place to st.

We always stay here when we visit our home town. We were aware Country Music started on the 14th of January, so we booked to checkout that morning. Our room rate up until that day was $129. When I enquired about an extra night (the 14th) before Country Music was cancelled, the same room, with the same appointments, same cleaners, etc, was going to be $444! That is a 333% increase! Two days after the festival was cancelled, the room rate went back down to $129. We declined the offer as we had already done what we wanted to and returned to the Gold Coast, where even their rooms don't jump that much in peak season.

Quiet and clean rooms. Bathrooms were a little dated but clean. I would stay here again. We dine at the restaurant the first night and the service and food were excellent. I definitely recommend trying the restaurant.

As always the rooms are to a very good standard and the customer service is always excellent. The hotel is situated close by to plenty of places to eat and shop .. The restaurant always serves very good food.

Standard Queen Room - what could go wrong? Wrinkled old carpet, old battered furniture, dingy shower - think school camp! I stayed for 2 nights (they wouldn't let me cancel the second night because it was past 2pm). Lucky I'm a corporate traveller and could shower at work. The locals at work told me that the restaurant is good - correct. So stay somewhere else and visit the restaurant. This place must have a lot of thieves because there are signs saying how much they will charge your credit card if the '5 star luxury' pillows go missing. Check out the 'leatherette cotton bud holder - thieves have got their eyes on that too!

We stayed in a triple room with our daughter. The room was not large but it was adequate. The air conditioning was great (January in Tamworth is HOT!) and the pool was delightful. The WIFI worked well and there was plenty of parking. We also enjoyed the complimentary breakfast, which was not a buffet but rather a list of options, some of which were very nice (granola with yoghurt and fruit salad, and granola with poached pears were our favourites).

Great location, super clean & very accomodating. We had two well behaved dogs with us & were stoked to get some welcome Biccys for them & right next to the pool was a dog run for them! Hotel staff super lovely & shout out to Rebecca at the restaurant who was just lovely. Food was excellent- recommend booking in if your staying onsite.

The room wasn't too bad - it was clean and spacious but there were lots of ugly stains on the carpet which were off putting. It shouldn't be too hard to clean your carpets so it doesn't look like something has died in the room!

Amenities were old, reception staff were rude as we “booked on an external site I don't know what they promised” and hot tub is a cold portion of the pool that you get up to turn bubbles on. Everything is old and worn.

Bathroom needs updating slight mould in grout above handles in shower gives off a musty smell Bit disappointed in the continental breakfast included in price most times it is a buffet with toast, fruit, yoghurt, tea coffee and cereal not a choice of 1 out of 4 and charged if you want extra. Room was clean and comfortable pool was nice would of been nice if spa was a bit warmer was double charged for one night although error was corrected I still have to wait for the money to be refunded into my credit card and that is inconvenient which negatively affects my experience

I planned to stay here for one night in December of 2021, however upon arrival and checking into the hotel realized that the hotel shown in the photographs is completely different to the one you check into . Do not trust the images shown on this site. The rooms are dirty, filled with bugs, dark, smell awful and in need of serious refurbishment. Additionally the air conditioning did not work, the door to the room did not lock properly and opened directly out into the car park where there was groups of people drinking and smoking right outside of the room. Also, do not be fooled by the continental breakfast. Upon check-in I was handed a carrier bag with some bread and condensed milk in to have for my breakfast the following day. We attempted to discuss with staff who simply did not care, I assume they are used to these complaints as it was brushed off as nothing, even when we explained that we could not stay in the room and would be leaving immediately. Having stayed in hundreds of hotels around the world I have never had an experience quite like this one and would recommend in the strongest possible terms to avoid this hotel and choose one of the many other better options available in Tamworth. (For example, Powerhouse Hotel)

We have stayed here a few times while seeing family. The rooms are nice, clean, the restaurant is amazing. The beds are pretty comfortable. Parking is not allocated out side of the room you are provided with, it's park where there is a spot free. The location is in a great spot. The mini bar is a little expensive, bottled water is not complimentary. The price per room is reasonable. The reception staff could be a little more enthusiastic when dealing with customers, a few times it seemed like a bother when you needed to ask a question or for help.

My parents came up to the Northern Rivers to help me with my newborn and had booked to stay here on their drive back to Vic. Unfortunately my parents were exposed to Covid from my toddlers daycare and we were notified late the day before they were due to start the trip back home. My father called to let the Best Western know what had happened and to say they would still be staying but could they push the date out as they had to wait for the results of their PCR tests. They were told as it was the day they were booked in that it was unlikely but she would check and call him back. No one called back and they went ahead and withdrew the full amount from his account. I'm disgusted that they chose not to help people in an unfortunate situation that was of no fault of their own, how can you not have flexibility with what's happening at the moment. Every other motel they had booked after Tamworth had no issue with them changing the date and were sympathetic to the situation. I will continually tell people about how horrible the Best Western Sanctuary Inn in Tamworth is.

On arrival we didn't receive breakfast, after we complained this mistake was rectified. We were in family room No1. Second room inside was looked. They gave us a key after we unlocked it was obvious that the room hadn't been cleaned for a while. All surfaces in both rooms were greasy. Floor hadn't been vacuumed. The room was stuffy with dim lighting and low ceilings. The leaves in front of the door way hadn't been swept for a while. You could tell the Pool hadn't been clean for a while, etc… after departure we asked for a breakdown of the surcharge and after 4 days we still didn't receive answer.

look elsewhere unless you like roughing it perhaps people elsewhere are aware of this place 2 tiny bottles of drinking water and 2 for $3 ! its not even the price its the principal of all the places i have stayed here and overseas i have never been charged.

Stayed one night returning from up North. Stayed in one of the un-renovated rooms to save a few $ as we were only passing through. Pleasantly surprised by quality of the room with, thgough older, were all functional and still relatively modern. Didn't get time to partake of resuarant, but food on menu and the area looked good. Off street parking near room was good.

Room poor, not as advertised, TV's not working, mould. Owner attended room re. TV, was extremely rude, pretended to have a look, then said tough luck. we have a full house. you can pack and leave if not happy.

Reception staff were rude, restaurant menu limited. Room was clean and tidy. Property is located conveniently close to the CBD and is reasonably priced. ‘Continental Breakfast' included in the room rate but selection was terrible. Went elsewhere for breakfast.

Not a happy experience unfortunately. Arrived one hour before check in time and not a sole in the car park (so not busy)not allowed to check in til 2pm. After checking in, and receiving a brown paper bag with our breakfast, went to a very tired room with a spa bath in the corner of the bedroom. Not the room as pictured on the website. Asked if we could change to a room with a regular bathroom and a walk-in shower, staff were not very happy and said that the money we paid would only allow us the room chosen. 66 rooms in this motel….really? Several times she mentioned the price we paid (which was an advertised special), we were made to feel very cheap. And obviously Diamond member status means nothing. Eventually we were given a room with a shower over a bathtub which was a better option. Still a very old room and nothing like the advertised pictures. There must have only been about 6 rooms occupied in the whole motel that night so we were very unhappy with our whole experience there. Sorry but we won't be back.

First of all the good. Staff were nice but very busy, food in the restaurant was really good, the place is a 20min easy walk into town, rooms were clean. BUT the location at the corner of two very busy roads and the very old rooms means it is really loud in terms of traffic noise. The whole place needs double glazing and some decent doors - it was seriously loud and constant day and night. Sleep quality was terrible. When I first arrived they actually had me in a room above the kitchen which also had the constant hum from the commerical air-conditioning unit - I asked to be moved to a quiet room and I was moved to the back of the property... but pro tip for this place... there are no quiet rooms. The bathrooms dont look like they have been updated since the 1980s, the TV had very bad reception. Except for the restaurant I really would not recommend this place and I would not stay here again.

Our first parents getaway started off excellent. Clean room, quick check in and a wonderful night out. Unfortunately my side of the king bed had collapsed so I felt like I was falling out of the bed. Breakfast included is bit of a deception- included smallest juice, toasty, banana bread or muesli. So we order eggs Benedict which looked amazing. We had to get our own cutlery. The eggs were very undercooked/raw, white and watery. Partner tried eating some of it but had to stop. I didn't touch mine. Staff did not come near us or check in. When we were leaving I informed waitress she said, ‘I'll check (the food)'. Half heatedly, she asked if wanted them replaced. I indicated no, we were needing to leave. At checkout I was told it was just the one meal I needed to pay for. I stated, ‘The eggs were raw!' Receptionist argued, ‘But he ate most of it!'. At my response receptionist said she'd check with the manager. Later that day we were charged for the meal. I hope that $19.40 was worth the dissatisfaction of this visitor. Disappointing end experience for our first parents getaway.

Had a two day stop over in Tamworth and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The restaurant is brilliant and has a good menu. Be careful as the portion sizes are huge, as there is no real need for a starter. The quality of the food is first rate so enjoy.

Room was not cleaned properly. Empty wine bottle in one corner was evidence of this. Televisions are very old ( not even HD). TV reception was poor. Pretty much unwatchable. The room rate is very high for the quality of this motel. Good bed is about the only positive. We won't be returning.

There was a lack of consistence cost related information about our stay. 3 requests came up with 3 different prices. Received emails from a third party after we specifically ticked and stated we did not want advertising materials If you tick poor satisfaction on their company review your are taken to an email. Our accommodation was clean and tidy. We were upstairs overlooking the main road roundabout and the traffic noise was minimal. Service was excellent and the restaurant food was well prepared and of generous proportions. It was a really enjoyable experience.

Best Western Sanctuary Inn Tamworth The room was a dated tired and dark lit . Even with the lights on, the room was dark. There were cracks in the wall and the skirting timber is separating from the wall as are the ceiling cornices. Stained carpet under the very small bar fridge. Dated wooden furnishings, bathtub with shower curtains nota simple shower area. Difficult to step into and out of without possible slipping. Noisy plumbing and noisy exhaust fan that comes on at night with the light. Old pictures on the walls that need a new paint throughout. Old TV. Definitely not a 3 star hotel. Basic paper bag breakfast, Parking was not designated and difficult getting into some spaces. Had to park away from the room on one occasion. Definitely needing an overhaul. Spider web from the ceiling didn't enthuse either. If I could get refunded for the days already booked, I would have gone elsewhere and would happily have paid more! Will not be staying here again. The website photos show the best of rooms in the best of lighting and is deceptive about the reality. The only plus were the large towels, and the large room and bathroom.

Nice convenient spot , rooms look a bit tired , toilet button sticks at times & keeps running , this was room 29 …. Bed & pillows very comfortable …. & lovely to have serviced each day , staff are all very nice & friendly , had a lovely meal at restaurant

The hotel staff were great to deal with, we had to change our dates due to changing covid regulations, the staff were helpful and accomodating. The hotel was in a relatively central location, and close to restaurants and local attracttions.

Room not as advertised. Basically it was an old motel room: stained chairs, cracks in walls and cornices, bathroom smells, shower curtain!, shower curtain rod rusty, shower grout mouldy. Pool had ducks in it and in the morning the deck was covered in Pooh. Breakfast was a brown paper bag on check in that had cereal and bread- something I could make at home. Rooms are always clean, I enjoy walking into a fresh clean smelling room, with fresh white pressed linen. When I'm traveling it's important to have a have a good pillow selection. The room is fitted with a good size bathroom that filtered a lot of natural light. The room I stayed in offers ample space for myself with a decent sized working desk, as I generally work off 2 laptops and a mountain of paperwork. I keep coming back and they have a fantastic restaurant. I would recommend to anyone after accommodation.

From arriving to leaving the staff were excellent especially Evelyn the hotel manager she was very welcoming and spent a lot of time giving us some local information as we are planning a move on the very near future , the hotel itself is very comfortable the beds and pillows are super comfortable and amenities in the room great. We especially loved the lounge area . We had lunch and dinner in the hotel the restaurant has excellent food on offer the Jacks Creek steaks were very nice. The restaurant staff were very good and informative about the menu also done a great job making you feel welcome.

We've stayed here a few times over the years. The motel is well located with good parking. Room quality can vary with some older rooms and some updated ones. The newer rooms are clean, tidy and well appointed. The older rooms are clean and tidy but a bit tired. Would definately stay with them again.

Pulled into town late with no booking. Found Hotel in great location and staff were super helpful and friendly. Rates were fine and included a good breakfest. I will be staying here again on next trip through town for work.

Only a quick overnight stay on a Sunday night. This motel was well located, comfortable, good check-in and a restaurant open on Sunday evening with good menu selection and helpful staff. Room had everything we needed.

Our room was not even a distant resemblance to the pictures displayed on Booking.com. For example, we were expecting a walk-in shower and, instead, had an old spa/bath with a shower head at the top and plastic curtains around. The floor of the spa was dark brown showing evidence of long wear and tear. Breakfast was included in the deal. Due to unknown issues, it took about 1 hour for us to get a bowl of muesli cereal, this caused an unfortunate delay on the next leg of our travel itinerary.

Generally a clean, quiet motel. No microwave in room a negative. Restaurant attached very pleasant but little to choose for gluten free options. No gf options for breakfast when room tariff included continental breakfast. Fan in bathroom very noisy.

The cleanliness and comfort of our room was second to none. All the staff was professional and friendly. We dined in the restaurant and enjoyed our meal which we selected from an extensive menu and it was reasonable priced. We will certainly stay there again when we next visit Tamworth.

Good location, good price . Staff is polite ! What need to be improved is the complimentary continental breakfast! If you can improve the porridge (as I believer it is not difficult at all) keep it serve in hot not Luke warm and watery! Also I believe you should include bread and toast without additional charge $5 . It seems a bit over the top when you offer a complimentary continental breakfast but you ask for extra $5 if you want any bread!

it was all great, walking distances to Woolworths, bottle shop, fast food and local shopping center and parks. Parking was easy. Rooms were great, the staff were friendly. Easy to find and check in and check was easy.

It's well worth a stay at this lovely hotel. The rooms are lovely and the pillows and the bed sooo comfortable !!!! Great restaurant with a very different menu with lots of variety. Free parking is very easy and close to each unit. We had a very enjoyable stay.

We booked a queen room which featured a large very comfortable bed, fast wifi, tv and dining table plus lounge and adequate bathroom amenities. It was clean and modern and quiet. We chose in room dining and the meals were varied and delicious. It is our third stay here and we always return when in Tamworth.

Comfy bed, good pillows. Air con kept the room warm even though it approached 0°c outside!! Room service Pizza was excellent!! Downside was the shower rose leaked and sprayed water all over the bathroom, and the remote for the TV was very touchy and made it hard to select a channel without skipping!

This is first time I've needed to travel with my pet. The whole process went extremely well for dog and I. Check in was quick, room was comfortable space to set up dog's bed and eating space. Access to fenced dog yard was great for toileting and play. And dog enjoyed the treats presented for her on arrival. Thanks Best Western Tamworth.

After a 7 hour trip with a 4 year old to Tamworth for our friends “The Best Western Sanctuary Inn” was the perfect place to stay. The beds were super comfortable, the room was lovely and clean, the staff were lovely and the complimentary continental breakfast was super convenient and sweet in our gift bags for our room. We will definitely be staying again when we come to visit Tamworth!

Amazing motel, with great rooms, great staff, and friendly service. Doing a great job of treating people to a terrific stay, in comfort, given the impact of the COVID 19 viral pandemic. Just one small thing needs rectifying....some sort of screen in the shower recess, to stop water spraying all round the room, and causing a slippery floor. The tiny glass panel

Although the room was tidy enough it was still rather tired and the air conditioner was noisy. I think the girl on the desk at checkout was probably a trainee but leaving her to her own devices on a busy morning was probably not a good idea. The sign on the bed offering to sell pillows but saying those prices will be billed you if you take any is a little bizarre. At check in I watched an older lady, assuming the owner, chase a man that had gotten up from a group having lunch calling at him that he had to pay for lunch before leaving and he was simply asking the reception area staff for directions to the bathroom ......

Beware misleading advertising- there are several rooms at this hotel which are nowhere near 4 star standard, and nothing like the photos on the Best Western website. I'll never stay at a Best Western again.

Cmon guys, these days we expect a clean modern room if that's what the website shows. This is one of the most disgusting, run down rooms I have ever stayed in. I don't care if the other guests in renovated rooms are enjoying their stay, I'm in a room which is so grotty and stained I DON'T KNOW WHERE TO SIT DOWN. Hotel management really need to take these rooms out of service until they are renovated. The Best Western brand should step in- because they may have got one nights fee out of me, but I am now sworn off Best Western altogether. I don't like being tricked by website photos. What's the saying? Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me....

Booked this hotel after reviewing other recommendations and was very pleased I did. The room was clean, comfortable and the bed very cosy. The price included continental breakfast so I expected the usual room selection of cereal etc but no! On checking in I was handed a paper bag containing cereal, 2 slices of good bread, the usual butter and jam plus orange juice, milk and yoghurt. It was great as I was able to just eat at the table in my room when I was ready with no queue. My only issue was no bottled water but otherwise good value property.

Stayed here last week when travelling with work and found this hotel to be a great stop. Check in was business like, with professional and helpful staff, who provided all the details needed for the stay, including where the guest laundry was. The room was clean with very good amenities and a super comfy, king size bed. The room itself was quite large, however it had a couch added in there which did take up lots of floor space. The mini bar was very well stocked and well presented. There was a bar and restaurant on site; I utilised the restaurant for dinner with room service, ordering a pizza which came quickly and was beautifully fresh and yummy and well priced! The location of the hotel was convenient, there was a bit of passing traffic noise, but this is normal for nearly all city hotels these days. Parking was unallocated, but available outside the rooms, the parking spaces were very tight, but manageable. Wifi was free, fast and with no drop outs at all, which was a bonus when trying to do some work. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a business or leisure stay in Tamworth

Extremely rude reception staff, no PR skills at all...very dirty unhygienic rooms, the carpets are disgusting dirty stains in numerous places, when you walk on it and look at the soles of your feet they are jet black absolute filth...they are tight arsed... STEAM CLEAN THEM!! you charge enough for the ROOMS!...This place is very old and needs repairs, you can see the obvious damage everywhere...walked into the bathroom on arrival there were curly hairs everywhere what filth is this.. would not dare touch the cups as they had stains on them. Would never ever stay at this hotel ever again.. totally disgusting. DON'T WASTE YOU MONEY STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE They advertise they are Covid Safe and everything is sterilized..I don't think so YUK!

Every time I come here the service is always the same, GREAT! Always clean, helpful! It's easy to book online! The restaurant is awesome and the food is delicious! The whole atmosphere is homely and warm!

We were in a room distant from reception and the main road so it was quieter than our previous stay. As more mature guests we do not like having to climb in and out of baths to have a shower. We couldn't get the heating to work. We would not really recommend the restaurant- based on 2 stays - both times lost our reservation, 1st time very unfriendly staff member, slow service, both times the food was disappointing but expensive. We do know that the restaurant is operated independently of the motel.

Mouldy bathroom, smelly and dated. Paths full of dirt and leaves. Noisy rooms and not staff not very friendly. On top of a busy road. Ate at the restaurant which was average. One very friendly waitress though. Wouldn't stay again.

Overall very happy with the the Hotel. Service was great, the room was ideal and typical sizing. the best feature is the restaurant, which had amazing customer service, and exceptional food! I will stay in or future visits.

I booked this hotel for a coporate who stays there every month. Had to postpone due to QLD covid 3 day lockdown. Have spent the last 7 days being completely ghosted by the hotel, they dont reply to emails, they dont return phone calls. Left so many messages for the manager to call me ........nothing. If you are planing on booking this hotel during current covid conditions, be wary of their policies, and lack of care or concern. I will be looking at other Tamworht Hotels who offer ore felxable arrangements.

While the room was ok it was a little disappointing to find that it was in a very ordinary back block room. The glossy brochure and web site gave the impression that one would be staying in the main 2 story building. Apparently the very top range rooms are in that building. Also the bed, billed as a king, was actually 2 king singles zipped together with a very uncomfortable seam down the middle. Hardly conducive to a romantic getaway. No breakfast restaurant service for the 5 days that we stayed. While a breakfast bag of goodies was provided, it was a little different to what we had expected in the advertised ‘price includes continental breakfast'.

Needed a pet friendly motel, with 8 month old Labrador. The room was spacious enough to have a large crate for him, a small couch for us to sit on. The fenced dog enclosure was first rate. Lovely staff

When I booked this hotel i thought traffic noise would be an issue but was very quiet in room. Room was small but meet our needs. Very close to CBD, walking distance. Although we didn't eat at restaurant menu looked very good.

Clean but very small rooms, great food at the restaurant but the swimming was absolutely freezing!! Friendly staff and willing to help! Probably one of the best motor inn's in Tamworth! Would recommend for a stay!

Owners were interested in the fact that the room air-conditioner was not operating probably & that due to NSW Health regulations , l had to check out early. In these Covid times some form compensation should be warranted. I didn't even get to use the breakfast , but nothing was refunded.

After booking direct with Motel there was a mix up in dates for accommodation.Blame put solely on me for not checking confirmation email for mix up on dates.No refund offered but a $40 rebooking fee which I agreed.New booking made and this time after checking the date again was incorrect,Motel was contacted and correct date amended with no apologies given.Motel itself is good but staff are rude and quiet happy to steal travellers money.Won't stay here again.

The room was nothing like advertised. The furniture was very old and extremely drab. The room was dark and dingy. It was dark because half the light globes weren't working. 2 levels (which was not specified) with the bathroom being down stairs, very dangerous & inconvenient. Only 1 power point in bedroom approx. 8ft away from bed. Forget charging phone or iPad. No fan or air conditioner. Free continental breakfast comes in a paper bag, handed to you at reception when you check in. The place is disgusting. Best Western should be ashamed.

Cannot say I was impressed at all. $264 for one night with a paper bag breakfast for two people... Granted we used a “dog friendly room” which simply was a room out the back with plastic flooring. We stayed here purely due to the dog friendly options, which is a yard full of weeds with no poo bags for your pooch- although I took my own! The room was old and incredibly small, a shower in a bath in what felt like a public toilet. The aircon was quite old and concerned to what I was breathing in. The greeting from staff upon check in was lovely, she was super friendly but checkout was someone with zero personality as I simply handed the key in. Still don't understand the COVID excuse for a breakfast. Is handing someone a couple of yoghurts, sample size cereal and two pieces of helgas bread in a paper bag, really your only option when the restaurant is still open for dinner and drinks? The images are incredibly deceiving- I wouldn't return, and if you decide to stay here for dog friendly purposes, I think you can save yourself the hassle and look elsewhere because other than the yard down the back I couldn't say it has any benefit. Sorry guys, rooms definitely need some upgrading and your prices are ridiculous for what was offered.

Room was at the front of the hotel which is right on a roundabout. Very noisy with the trucks braking continuously. The continental breakfast was adequate. Had to be collected each day from reception. As we were out most of the day we missed out.

Conveniently located and comfortable clean room. Perfectly suited our needs for a one night stay. Was located within walking distance of quite a few amenities. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. All good!

It was so nice to stay somewhere with a pet that was so clean, friendly, and just perfect in every way. The dinner & dessert from their restaurant is second to none. It was a pleasure to stay at BW Sanctuary Inn and we will definitely be staying there again from now on.

The first room we were offered had a bathtub in the middle of the bedroom (I had requested a bath but didn't expect it to be at the foot of the bed). Also, the tv set was on the left side of the bed, which made it impossible to watch. So, we chose another room, motel style, which was very small but comfortable and more practical. I much enjoyed the outdoor pool with the hot weather. The restaurant is quite good and very popular, so book ahead. There aren't many restaurants in Tamworth. The hotel is a longish walk from the town centre (1,8 km, I think). Altogether, I recommand it.

The hotel is well presented and is in a good position in the city center. The bed was great but the room decor a little old and in need of upgrade. The room air con was effective but very noisy. I expect it was at least 20 years old. The check in staff were friendly but i did have a 15 minute wait just to get a breakfast package one day. I may have had my invisible suit on as the phone and computer seemed more important. Overall though a pleasant stay.

We stayed for a week in a newly renovated 2 bedroom family room. The room itself was disappointing and we would not have booked if we knew the configuration beforehand for our family as we need an extra sitting area. It has 2 bedrooms and a small entry area, the sitting area is a small glass table in the main bedroom with only 2 chairs (not sure where the rest of the family are meant to sit), we dragged over heavy metal chairs from the desk space, or we ate outside at a communal table in the hotel as our 6 month old was sleeping in the room and there was nowhere else to sit in the room. There is a picture of a lounge on the website in one room which we did not have, also the pictures also show a more spacious room with dining area, our table was extremely squashed in the corner of the small main room, we did not have any other sitting area's. The bathroom door was swollen and had to be pulled hard to shut and the toilet made a whistle sound for a few minutes after flushing every time. We were also in room 1 which is right next to the main road, and the constant sound of trucks driving past keeps you awake or wakes you up as they come right past the room. The pool was beautiful and we went in every day we were there. It has a great big step for the kids and the temperature was refreshing on a hot day. We ate in most nights and the room service was great. The food was always nice and we couldn't fault it at all. The service was also great, the lady who was doing the room service in our block of rooms was lovely and very friendly. The restaurant staff were also very friendly. Overall we had an enjoyable stay, the room just wasn't the best for our family as it wasn't on par with other 2 bedroom rooms we have had in the past and is different to the pictures and lacking space as described with sitting areas.

The hotel was amazing and perfect for my stay. The rooms are quiet and you can't hear the traffic during the night. The rooms are quiet large. I stayed in the Queen standard. From the moment I checked in I felt welcomed by the friendly receptionist. The pool was lovely. It is also walking distance to the supermarket.

We only stay 1 night at this place for a stop over on our long driving to Coffs Habour from Sydney. This is a very very old room, we are so disappointed with the extremely old and dirty and stinky carpet, plus there is only one power point in the whole room, in these day we always have to charge all of our equipment (phones, laptop, ...) plus using kettle for tea/coffee, and hair dryer, with this only one power point, this mean we can not do much and feel very disappointed. I wish I can give ZERO star if possible. I strongly advise do not stay at this place if you can find any other.

Although the motel was quite busy they catered for everyone in a timely manner. Our room had recently been refurbished and was very nice. New bathroom a centrepiece. Actual room a little smaller than expected but not a problem. Restaurant was exceptional with great food especially pastas. Staff were excellent.

Clean, comfy room, great beds, in fact we slept in!! It was quiet and cool. Easy parking. Just what we needed. We headed to the Pig and Tinder Box for dinner - fabulous food and cocktails. Breakfast was supplied but we didn't have it.

We stayed in a pet friendly room in December. We paid $215 for the night and we were disappointed with what we received. The standard of the room was fine, he'd comfortable but a poor channel selection on TV (just the standard channels) and really nothing else special about the room. The bathroom was average and the toiletries didn't seem to match which was odd. We also had to ask for toilet roll as there were no spares in the room which again showed a lack of attention to detail. Very odd that breakfast came in a bag containing bread and spread to toast. The restaurant was open for dinner however. For the money I'd have expected to have had breakfast in the restaurant. I understand due to covid you can't have buffets etc but perhaps an ala carte, made to order option could be an option to give more value for money.

Super comfortable beds and pillows, clean large bathroom. We stay in the standard family room...perfect for us. The restaurant is fantastic. Great food and cocktails. Delicious desserts. Helpful staff. Looking forward to our next stay.

Sanctuary and was conveniently located next to Red Rooster, hungry Jacks, McDonald's and Oporto. The pool was great on a hot afternoon. Towels in the bathroom were amazing they were so nice and big, rooms were nice and clean. The continental correct breakfast provided was awesome would definitely stay here again. Dinner in the restaurant was amazing too.

Needing an emergency room, the team managed to find me a suited room, and it was the absolute bomb! So peaceful, comfy beds, big thick fluffy towels, gorgeous pool, helpful and amazing front desk staff who made me feel like a total celeb, and room service?!? Omg. Let me say, it's totally not worth ever leaving the room. Meals were ahhhhmazing, drinks were the best ever, delivered on time to the second, better service than sitting in the restaurant. I am so coming back again.. and again... and again. I will not bother calling anyone else in Tamworth again. THIS is the place to stay.

A good location, on the main road in/out of Tamworth. Close to a major supermarket and shop and a number of fast food outlets close by. A short walk into the main business/retail area. The motel room and bathroom we had were very clean and spacious. Good value with a good continental breakfast (due to covid) included.

Our welcome from Katherine was so warm and friendly that we fell in love with this hotel from the moment we arrived. Our room wasn't quite ready but that wasn't a problem at all. There's plenty to keep you occupied in Tamworth. Our room was upstairs and over the busy road but surprisingly, the traffic noise was not an issue at all - which we were really very pleased about. The sunset view from our little balcony was stunning. This hotel is incredibly clean, staff are super friendly and we would love to stay here again. I'll review the restaurant separately, suffice to say though - DO IT! The food and service are outstanding.

Good clean quiet rooms and delicious menu, will definitely stay again when in the area. I had Aranconi balls and the duck which was absolutely sublime. Location was great, easy to find for someone new to the area

Loved this motel, it was spacious and good value. The overall experience was good. The Bathroom was also roomy and it was very clean. Even the continental breakfast was fresh (due to COVID) they gave us a pack. Enjoyed it here.

Nothing like the photos on the internet. Paid extra for a King Premier only to find same as Queen room just a larger bed, so really cramped.I was handed a brown paper bag at reception with breakfast supplies, I returned as I felt insulted. Mould in the bathroom, only one grubby robe for 2 people. I rang the complaints number and spoke with someone from the US? I will be contacting Department of Fair Trading.

The Sanctuary Inn is easy to find in a great location with the shops and main street in walking distance. Even though it is on the main road there is no traffic noise and it is a great price for very comfortable accommodation.

A good pleasant stay, good value for money. Staff were friendly and helpful, good part of town location and easy to access other areas of Tamworth and the surrounds, would stay in the best western again when passing through. Good breakfast options

Please use actual fitted sheets, the lazy way of making the bed cause the flat sheet not covering most of mattress leaving my feet bare on a section of bare mattress that may have been cleaned before. Also what's the go with the itchy feeling while laying in bed? I paid for the premium queen room ($432) and spent three nights feeling itchy, lucky enough the hot water was good pressure to have two showers a day to over come that itch! What's with welcoming stains on the carpet when you walk into the room, I don't wanna nitpick but those are some really dark stains that have been there for awhile. Next time I'm staying at the powerhouse hotel.

Agree with 3.5 star advertised when we booked. The room was nice and clean. Furniture and tiles in the room seem to be originals. Continental breakfast were packed in the paper bag due to government restrictions.

The amenities were not as stated. The pool was freezing. There is no hot tub as stated in the booking.com advert. We only wanted this as an option as we were travelling with small children, as a treat for them as there was no bathtub in the room. The room was small and dark, no kitchen no microwave, and expensive. Not 4 star at all. When we told the staff we were unhappy they became evasive and then hostile. The young manager was very rude, refused to negotiate a reduced price, although the info provided was wrong, refused a refund even though the room was unused. Unprofessional. Shocked by her behaviour we left the hotel. The children were scared and unsettled by the rude staff and then the loud noises coming from the parking lot ie motorcycles (see photos ) - our room was in the parking lot! Large groups of men staying there. Not suitable for families. After such an unpleasant experience we were delighted with the Quest down the road which had bigger, nicer rooms with all the amenities fully described and accurate. The BW sanctuary has a poor reputation. Stange passive-aggressive signage in rooms (photo). Avoid this horrible place.

Family weekend. Pleasant stay. Great onsite restaurant with reasonable prices. Nice rooms, but slightly small for the three of us. Slight annoyance trying to adjust shower temperature, but everything thing else is fine. Had a great time.

We did an overnight stay on our way home from Coffs Harbour back to Sydney. So glad I chose this property the rooms are gorgeous and the lobby area is beautiful as well. My daughter had a swim in the pool which was nice but freezing she still stayed in though!! My one criticism of the room the bathroom floods as the shower screen only covers half of the shower. We had a great bag of food for our breakfast prepared in the room. We had dinner at the restaurant food was fantastic the steak was worth every cent.. all the staff are super friendly I would return here again.

My partner & I stayed in a pet-friendly room for 2 nights. There was plenty of room for us & our two small dogs. The room was quite dated & had a large crack in the wall, but the bathroom was clean, the linen was fresh & the food we ordered via room service was great. There was a large, fenced grass area, behind the pool, where we could take our dogs for their toileting & exercise needs. The only real flaw we found was that our smallest dog (a puppy ) could fit beneath the queen bed. She emerged once with a fluffy, hairy old tissue (yuck!) & we also found someone else's t-shirt under there. Apparently motels don't usually clean beneath beds, but I think in a pet-friendly room this is needed.

We were a last minute booking and judging by the cars in the car park lucky to get in. We were upgraded to a family suite that we didn't really need but there was lots of space. Easy to find, easy to park, close to town, clean. Very convenient.

We had a lovely stay in a pet friendly room on the way home from picking up our new puppy. Our new furry friend was treated to a gift wrapped liver treat on arrival and the room was practically pet friendly with a vinyl floor and shaggy rug. There is also a large secure grass area behind the pool for toilet and play and lighting for night trips. The queen bed was also comfortable and the room very clean. Would definitely stay again if passing through Tamworth with a pet.

We stayed at the Best Western Sanctuary Inn, the service was great and the staff were very friendly. The food at the restaurant was amazing and I cant await to return. The beds were amazing and a nice drink by the fireplace in the reception area is a great way to wind down for the day.

Room 28. Reasonable room but the bathroom had a disagreeable smell and shower-curtain was inadequate to keep water from rest of bathroom floor. Covid continental breakfast bag was poor quality. No tourist information at reception

Booked a standard room in a 4 star hotel. $125. Check in was pleasant. Headed to room. This differently was not 4 stars. Room was very old. Pine board was crumbling. Dusty. Sure that I could smell that animals had been in there. Bathroom very dated. Tiles on floor coming up. Was clean though. Enquire with manager about the room and thought it was suppose to be 4 stars. Was told it's not all rooms. Told I could pay extra !!! To get something cleaner and not dated. Manager made me feel not worthy of her time. Walked away. Note to all if staying here. Don't pay for standard room pay the extra or find a cheaper hotel with higher standards. Must mention 2 positives. Shower was hot and the towels were quality. !!!!

Room was basic but very clean. Air conditioning was excellent keeping us toasty warm when needed. What made the stay special was the brilliant restaurant on site. The food was mouth watering. The Candy Yum Yum cocktail delicious. Most of all there were plentiful staff with delightful personalities going out of their way to make sure the entire dining experience was perfect. A credit to our rural communities.

Clean rooms, friendly staff, but the room, not to my liking, with a Spa bath in the room!! just separated by a plastic curtain!! No to my liking. Noise from upstairs! No rubbish bins outdoors, if you have a smelly takeaway, you are stuck with it all night.

We stayed for two nights, staff so friendly, bed comfortable, noise level low considering off highway, close to everything. Have stayed before and will stay again due to the excellent customer service.

We arrived on a night that the hotel was almost fully booked but they still found a room for us. There is good off street parking and the lobby/bar restaurant is really nicely decorated and welcoming . The Front staff were lovely and the Wait staff were really personable and efficient and the food delicious. Our room was spacious and warm, the bathroom was extra large- fridge with mini bar, A/C, tea & coffee supplies, toaster, breakfast & room service available. It was only an overnight stay but we enjoyed it and It'd stay here again.

We stayed here overnight, at the end of a trip. It was raining so we pleased to find they did room service. The room was spacious, clean and modern. The food delicious. It would have a been a bit far to walk into town to the club or restaurant though. However, it is only a short drive by car to the heart of town. We will stay here again for sure.

A colleague and I drove from Brisbane to Tamworth yesterday and stayed at Sanctuary Inn: nice rooms with all required facilities including desk and small sitting area plus a very comfortable bed (they even advertise which mattress they use). Complete with in house restaurant "Riviera Bar & Grill" plus a beautiful communal lounge area with open fire. Highly recommended.

The motel is on a corner easy to find and across road to most fast food outlets. Very modern room very clean our room was a large room with 3 beds. Only thing with our bed we both woke up with a back ache. The lady on reception could have been a little more friendly for us .

We found Best Western Sanctuary at Tamworth to be a great stopover place travelling from Qld to ACT with nice f a co lo ities that included a very pleasant onsite restaurant, where we pleasantly looked after.

Stayed three nights last week and was pleasantly surprised. Warm friendly check in, clean room but somewhat dated. (I do believe some rooms have been refurbished). A really comfy and warm bar/lounge area with open fireplace, moderately priced drinks. A great price which included an excellent continental breakfast kit. I'll be back.

Great Location. Walk to Woolworths and Dan Murphy's (literally around the corner). Is on a main highway so some noise from Trucks. Restaurant and Bar is a big feature, although I would like to see some more ordinary type food on a menu for once. Our unit was clean and tidy, although it was hard to keep the shower water in the shower and not all over the bathroom floor. The continental breakfast was also just what we needed before setting off on another day of playing tourist. Overall a nice place for an overnight stay.

Booked the room a week or so back - have stayed here many times and always come back Cold day and it was lovely to go into a room with the heater already on and the room warm The room was all that I needed, had a great stay and will do again, saves driving home into the setting sun Could have a micro wave in room especially for those with babies to heat things up - otherwise all was great Staff were friendly Dinner was great also the sweets, will try something different next time - all brought to you with a smile Thank you - no complaints

Myself and 2 friends stayed for 1 night on our way further up north. The rooms are lovely and beds very comfortable. Absolutely loved the bar. We didn't eat at the restaurant but the good o looked great. The hotel is only a 10 minute walk to the centre of town and to the restaurants. I'd happily stay there again next time I'm up the way.

Good location within the centre of town. At the intersection of the highway did see a bit of road noise through the night however. Room was heated and comfortable. Check in was efficient and staff friendly.

We had a lovely little stay at the Sanctuary Inn on our way to the gold coast from Sydney last weekend. We arrived to Tamworth after a long drive, had a super quick and friendly check in to our our executive spa suite at the hotel. The room was spacious with beautiful and new decor. The fireplace was on and the room felt so cosy and warm, just what we needed after our long drive. The huge bath in the room was perfect to unwind before we had to dinner. We ordered some nibbles for room service so we can enjoy the spa bath. The bruschetta and garlic bread came quickly and they were delicious! We then headed downstairs for dinner as we were too tired to go out. The riviera bar and grill was such a treat! Great little find in Tamworth. The Spaghetti with meatballs were my fav! It's on the spicy side which i love. We also ordered some Gangster fries for sides and they were yum! Overall, we had a lovely and cosy stay at the hotel. Staff were lovely and friendly. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel but was recommended to get breaky at ruby's, a local cafe down the road and breakfast and coffee were yummy with a lovely backyard. Will stay here again!

We stayed here for 2 nights last weekend as a family of 2 adults & a teenager. We looked through lots of accommodation until we decided on this one, based on how great it looked in the pictures. I think it's fair to say that those pictures were obviously taken quite a while ago & some were obviously stock pictures. Check in was conducted by an efficient young woman who was wearing a pink PE Nation sweatshirt over her uniform. She gave us all the information required but didn't smile even once & was far from friendly. She rang the cleaner to find out if our room was ready (despite it being after 2pm) & I had to then wait while the cleaner checked & called her back. Due to covid, our included breakfast wasn't available in the restaurant but they did give us a bag with some breakfast supplies in it, which was fine. When we arrived out our room it certainly wasn't the premium room from the photos we had seen online. Very tired looking but most of all not even clean. In fact we had to ask the cleaner to come back & clean the bathroom basin & vanity area for us as there was still toothpaste on it from the previous guests (something I've never had to do before). At this point we considered looking for alternative accommodation as it made us wonder what else hadn't been cleaned. A big worry especially during a worldwide pandemic!! The room was very warm & stuffy (even though it was winter) & the air conditioning simply didn't work. We had a lovely outlook onto the neighbours clothesline & fence or we could sit outside on a single chair next to the ashtray/bin that was leaking something all over the ground in front of our room. It leaked something black & smelly for the entire duration of our stay & instead of cleaning it up, sand was put over it & that was that. We are not fussy travellers & had been on the road staying at country motor inns for the past 5 days by this point. After seeing the photos online & seeing the actual reality it's safe to say we were very disappointed.

The booking confirmation describes the room rate “including complimentary continental breakfast at Riviera Bar & Grill for 2 people”. But when I was checking in, this was downgraded to breakfast materials being provided in a paper bag to be eaten in the room. However, the room has neither a microwave oven, nor a dining table. In the morning, I took a glass of milk to the reception and asked the receptionist to help me microwave it; I explained to her that I have a medical issue and can't have cold drink / food. To my surprise, she declined, saying the restaurant is closed till 12.00pm. When I pointed out that the microwave oven is not closed and is still accessible, she still wouldn't help, saying kitchen duty is not part of her scope of work and she wasn't trained to do it. I then offered to either show her how to use the microwave or I do it myself. She declined both offers, and after a long stand-off, finally she organised another worker to microwave it for me. This is not good enough. You advertised a complimentary continental breakfast in a restaurant, and then just provided a bagged meal to be eaten in a room without appropriate facilities. And the drama over heating a glass of milk was simply not warranted.

Our room was clean and the continental breakfast (served in room due to COVID-19 restrictions) was delicious and plentiful. The front reception service was wonderful and it was lovely to be greeted by a friendly face after a long evening drive with the children. Thank you!

I stay here fairly regularly for work . The rooms are always well prepared, clean and clutter free. Restaurant menu offers plenty of choice and the quality of the food exceeds expectations. Staff are alsways friendly and professional

Do yourself a favour and just don't book! I selected pet friendly in my search of which a standard queen room presented as available. I was contacted only 10mins later to say I needed to scroll down further for a pet friendly option and would need to pay a further $80 for a pet friendly option or loose $129 I had already paid for the room. When I explained that the room came up in the results the manager was not at all understanding or accomodating in providing some options to reach a happy medium and instead just saw dollar signs. So disappointing that in this climate customers are taken for granted for investing in local tourism, when it is needed more than ever and when everyone is feeling the pinch. Shame on you. The “straightforward hotel” not so straightforward at all.

We visited Tamworth last week and it was such a pleasure to stay at the BW Sanctuary Inn. Easy to find and in a good location to walk to the centre of town in a few minutes. Our room was beautifully decorated, well equipped, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We ate dinner at the in house restaurant, the Riviera Bar & Grill, on one of the nights and I have to say it was the best meal we had whilst in Tamworth. Tamworth itself is a great place to visit and we enjoyed our mini-break immensely.

I stayed here for 2 nights whilst I was visiting family in Tamworth. The room I stayed in (room #30) had recently been refurbished and was lovely and very comfortable. The location is perfect and allowed me to walk into town. It's also walking distance to a Woolworths supermarket. The staff are friendly and the hotel restaurant is a good option for dinner. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Tamworth.

Made our anniversary stay top class. From the comfort of our room to dining at the Riviera restaurant. Food was exceptional to say the least and service first class. This is our Restaurant to go to when we are in Tamworth. Will be back!

One night stay in a King room which was very clean and we were provided with a continental breakfast in the cost which had more than enough to eat for breakfast. Coffee pod machine. Kingkoil bed, linen and large bed sheet for towels. Wanted to have dinner in the restaurant but totally booked. So will book early next time

Nice place to stay, close to everything and very ice staff. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. The restaurant was great with an excellent choice and the service was first class. I would definitely recommend that, if you are staying at this hotel, you try the restaurant

The room was great for a family of 4 travelling with a small dog that was allowed in the room with us. Also a dog friendly area where we could have the dog off leash. Would stay again when travelling through Tamworth.

Beautifully kept hotel, super comfy 'King Koil' bed and some top quality Italian food to top off a great stay. The King rooms arent huge but certainly nicely appointed and very well kept. Luxurious bed linen and a comfy lounge fit in just nicely. If you only go for the food (which I believe is open to the public) then you will be pleased. Next time in Tamworth I wont think twice about where to stay.

Our room was clean and the bed was super comfortable however the room was very small given the size of the bed. The reverse cycle aircon was totally inadequate for Tamworth's very cold winter nights and there is no heating in the bathroom so you get very cold drying off after a shower. The bathroom windows split to allow fresh air and can't be closed so there is always cold air blowing in. Ashtray with seating for smokers directly under our bathroom window allowed cigarette smoke to permeate the room and as a non-smoker this was extremely annoying. Restaurant is great with a decent and varied menu and generous servings. Desserts were exceptional. The motel is well situated being close to the main street and stores.

Hotel is well presented with modern facilities but old charm. Service excellent location great. Restaurant has the most menu and great wine list. All the staff wore a smile and nothing too difficult. Will definitely be back.

Nice spacious, clean and comfortable rooms. Parking outside your door. Continental breakfast was included. I was worried about the noise as the hotel is right on the corner of two major highways but we didn't hear anything so the sound proofing must be fantastic.

Very please with everything. The rooms are clean and well furnished, the bed is exceptionally comfortable. Big tick for large towels and a good shower. The staff were very helpful and friendly with our HOG group and we'd definitely stay there again.

We've stayed at the Best Western on repeat stays for TCMF. It's a very good location, quite walkable to downtown. The rooms are very good, and the staff very friendly and courteous. We also dined in each evening, and the dining room/atmosphere is excellent.

Did not meet the photographs in the webpage. Furniture was old style and tired. Noisy room due to being on a major arterial road. Bed was comfortable but the room was hot due to the aircon situated on the stairs below the loft bedroom. Did not meet 4 star standard

Top accommodation within reach of CBD and other tourist attractions and great for Business Stays. Staff are fantastic and excellent food. A place where is it's always good to come back too! Tips - Ask to the rooms at the back of the complex as it's easier to park.

The room was large and the bed was comfortable. However when we went for our full breakfast we were advised it was only continental. I showed them that my booking showed it included al carte but was advised it was a mistake and wouldn't be honoured. The waitress was quiet rude so we left and ate at a lovely cafe around the corner instead.

Spending a few nights visiting family this motel was in a great location - close to the main street but with easy access to the countryside. The motel is located on one of the major roads but was quiet and relaxing. The room was well provisioned, clean but quite small. The air conditioning was quiet which was lukcy as we had it on all the time (41-43c outside). The parking was cramped on the top level but good on th elower level. The service was brisk rather than friendly at the reception, breaksfast and bar.

We had great stay for the country music festival, the hotel was clean comfortable and close to centre of town and the main attractions. Fresh and inviting food menu in the restaurant on site which was absolutely amazing. See you next year guys! Thanks so much. The kids love the pool.

Stayed at the best western sanctuary at Tamworth during Country music festival in what was supposed to be a refurbished and premium room. Far from it, the room was very small, the bed support was non existent, the room wasn't overly clean and even one day we returned back to the room after it has be "serviced" we found that the bed sheeting had not even been pulled up and tucked in, the doona was just pulled up over the top. The sheets had permanent stains from something that looked like ink and the bottom sheet has holes in it.

Amazing service at front desk. Air conditioner had been switched on in anticipation of our arrival to cool the room, very much appreciated that touch.. Complimentary water on arrival to reception again very much appreciated. Great room with all the features you would like to expect. couldn't recommend this hotel enough.

Comfortable motel with best quality rooms. Split level with separate bedrooms and living space. Ideally located close by walking 3 blocks. Great access to Tamworth Music Festival central and outlying venues. Near Hall of Fame museum and a shopping centre.

One night last minute stay. King size bed was very comfortable and provided a welcome good night sleep. Shower had great water pressure, best we've had in a hotel. Would definitely stay again. Continental breakfast included.

Family Road Trip (2 humans, 2 Miniature Schnauzers) home from Melbourne. Our last stop for the night. We were given one of the Pet Rooms. Georgie on reception couldn't have been friendlier. Let us know where we could give the dogs a run (in the yard behind the pool) let us know the restuarnt hours and gave us a menu to review, and then let us know where to find the room. The room had a King-Sized bed and a sofa, as well as desk, wardrobe, fridge etc, so quite an amount of space. Whilst we were nearer the New England Highway in our room, it was whisper quiet. The room has been refurbished with laminate floors, updated furniture and the BEST king-sized bed ever. It was, without a doubt the most comfortable bed we have slept on (not in our home) in years. After reviewing the menu, we decided to stay in house for dinner. Don't bother going out for dinner, stay in house. The restaurant was lovely, not only showcasing produce from around the region, but also a great wine list. It was so much easier to just walk to the restaurant, and given its rated #8 in Tamworth region, why look elsewhere. Breakfast (continental) in the morning was good, and they even had a table outside for us to sit with the pups (and even bought out water in a bowl). All of the staff were lovely. If you are passing through, or even staying in the area for a few days, highly recommended.

Pool has been reopened after being closed due to drought. A must in 40 degree heat a good improvement since October. Unfortunately previous guest had smoked in or around room and left smell behind but it did clear away quickly.

Have stayed at this motel a number of times over the years in different level rooms. All are very clean and comfortable and staff are accommodating and friendly. The rooms are well appointed and the restaurant has a good selection of choices at reasonable prices. Twice I have been given upgraded rooms, once for a slight much up with my booking and this last time for being a returning customer, the management and staff go out of their way to ensure a good stay.

Stayed one night for the first time and worked well. Good sized and comfortable room, parking outside room, quite a comfortable bed and a very handy location. Didn't get in till late and reception closed but easily contactable. Easy walk to a number of restaurants. Shower was over spa bath in room which I could get into but older person might struggle.

Everything worked. And a reasonably good restaurant for a weary traveller. Decor a little dated....but everything worked. Didnt see the pool because we didnt have time. It is centrally located with in the town.

The booking in went well, and staff were very welcoming. Our room was okay but the air conditioning was very noisy, which kept us awake. The bathroom had a shower over the bath and my husband went first for a shower and told me that the bath was quite slippery so I took care as I didn't want to slip. The bed was very comfy, and when we checked out the outside hadn't been swept as there was a mess just outside the door. A cat had obviously killed a bird as there was the evidence outside the door

This motel was perfect for our one night stopover. Whilst quite small, the room was clean and bright with a good shower, seriously comfortable bed and pillows. Walking distance to shops and eating options. The included continental breakfast served in the restaurant made this motel very good value as well.

Accommodation was excellent, room modern and clean. Only complaint was the restaurant would not allow byo wine and wine provided was very expensive. $44 for the cheapest red. Continental Breakfast was very good and had a good variety of food.

My girlfriend and I stayed in here when visiting friends in Tamworth. We could not recommend it more highly. The amenities of our were room were amazing and so modern. Great bathroom with huge rainfall shower. Beds were extremely comfortable and it was great because we were able to relax in our down time watch Netflix on the huge TV. The atmosphere of the hotel is very and relaxed and the food at the restaurant was unreal. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area. You wouldn't find a better place to stay in Tamworth.

We stayed here whilst doing a road trip. The room was quite nice and the bed comfy. The extra large shower with rain attachment is nice too. Only complaint is the tiny fridge that doesn't actually cook anything more than about 4 x 600ml of water at a time! We got there and the fridge had it's full mini bar worth of items, none of them called. Spoke to reception who offered to let us store our things in their cool room (which was very nice) or to remove the mini bar items which we did. Other than that would stay here again, everything else was really good.

This was a beautiful clean room to come to after a sudden change in plans due to the bushfires, with friendly staff. Also had a great restaurant with a relaxing atmosphere - we would definitely stay here again.

With restaurant on site and updated rooms you couldn't ask for more. Friendly staff and good atmosphere I would recommend this property and also return for a longer stay. Prices are very reasonable in both hotel and restaurant.

This Hotel needs a update clean but could be better the comfy bed was uncomfortable for me think it's been slept in it to much. Bathroom was clean but again could be better, staff were nice and polite. A average hotel.

Room decor was a little tired looking, but quiet and spacious. Major disapointment was pool not available, which was our main requirement. Staff told us that this was due to water restrictions, which sounded fair until we discovered several other hotels had pools filled and used.

Super friendly and accommodating staff. Great price. All you need for a comfortable stay. Room was really spacious. Little bit of noise from extraction fans near the restaurant. But once the restaurant closed, no problem with noise. Highly recommend this place.

Very disappointing on a room that cost $235. Light switches didn't work, blown light bulbs in bed side tables, breakfast was included in price which consisted of toast and some pastries.. very lame breakfast. Pool was closed due to drought, but didn't specify that on website. Just a very disappointing and way over expensive for shoe box sized room..

Was a nice place to stay, very central and close to everything. Bed was comfortable but rooms weren't as nice as they looked online - needs an upgrade. Had put that we didn't want our room serviced during the day but they still came in and did it which didn't need to be done, I would have liked to put things away if I knew they were coming in.

I'm only giving this place an average as the bed was very comfortable. Reception staff were friendly and inviting. The room however had an over powering smell of room disinfectant on arrival (what were they trying to cover up?) and the windows were unable to be opened. The building was dated and the bathroom a real disappointment. Wi-Fi access was great and easy and the room was only quiet until surrounding guests started opening and closing their car doors early in the morning. I've never stayed in Tamworth before and don't ever plan to again but if you must,try and find somewhere better than here

Stayed overnight at this motel. Location was central in Tamworth. Only shortcoming was nearby roundabout which was quiet during night but heavy transports started up about 6am. Room was spotless with excellent shower and highly superior to anything in Europe. Restaurant food and service were bot excellent. Even commented duck dish was better than anything similar in France.

Italian inspired menu was delicious. Pork ribs fell off the bone and the spice was just right. Bonnoffee was a tasty treat and the beer was fresh and cold. Even though a very busy long weekend quite at night.

Comfortable motel when on a road trip. Beds very comfortable. The restaurant was great .On our return visit we mucked up our reservation but the staff sorted out all the issues. We were very happy with the outcome.

The room was nice and clean, the king size bed was incredibly comfortable. The receptionist was very friendly. We were disappointed as the pool was not available due to water restrictions, we particularly booked this place for the pool! However, the friendly receptionist gave us a pass to the local pool to compensate. The continental breakfast was included and had a good selection to choose from We need to the country towns a visit, to keep them going. Town has some really beautiful old buildings.

Bathroom was shappy not as clean as i would of liked. Cracks in walls...dust in the bathroom and i couldnt see out of the sky light. The bedroom up upstairs was abit outdated and didnt smell fresh. But!!! The presentation was lovely and the survice was above and beyond! Id rate it a 4 out of 10.

Nice clean facilities. Included breakfast was basic but nice and you had other options for a cost. Reasonably close and walking distance to town. Everything you could want in a hotel. We all need to head to our country towns and support the economy in times of drought.

Great motel nothing was a trouble for excellent staff especially on reception. We were upgraded and value for money breakfast was inccluded. Would thoroughly recommend this motel for travellers. Close to city and restaurants.

I've stayed at the Sanctuary Inn regularly in the past year or so and I cannot recommend it highly enough. The owners and their amazing staff always make me feel so welcome, which is invaluable when you are working away from home. I can't wait for my next work trip so I can stay there again!

The room was beautiful bed was very comfortable but the bathroom has been done up fantastic but the cleaning of it could be better as the floor grate could be taken out and cleaned around it was there was a lot of black short hair in the sides of the floor waste which you see from the toilet looks like some person has had a shave and it went in the floor waste and it would be great if they could but a spare toilet roll in the room if you stay more than one day as there was two people in the room and there was only a small amount on the roll when we got there and the second day there wasn't a spare roll in the room when we got back to the room the second day after they cleaned the room the staff were great and helpful when checking in and out and who did the rooms up did a fantastic job

Excellent room and decore. Central location. Good amenities. The staff were caring and nice. The hotel restaurant had an enjoyable and interesting breakfast menu. Dinner at night and the wine list was of high quality. On arrival it was nice to receive a token offer of Cadbury's chocolate and a water bottle for a parched traveller.

So these rooms aren't that cheap.. I upfeel as though since my work was paying for it they just shoved us up the back in the rooms that were built in the 70s and have had zero renovations since. Gross old wooden cabinetry and a filthy old couch. No microwave and only 2 teaspoons and a few glasses. The location is noisy. The only positive is the reception is nice a new.... And it apparently has a good restaurant. The rooms on the website show modern beautiful rooms with no mention of these back areas. So pretty disappointed.

Had a two night stay. Travelled from Sydney for a family wedding.. Welcomed by friendly and professional staff. Rooms modern, clean and very well appointed. Restaurant superb! The whole place had an excellent vibe. Would certainly stay again!

My wife and I were very tired and hungry when we checked in. Great reception and welcome when we arrived. Spotless room and totally adequate for price. Terrific restaurant with marvellous home made pasta. Bar area has lovely open fire. Right on the edge of town. Will stay there any time I'm in Tamworth.

Travelling to Victoria for a family reunion. Impressive recently refurbished rooms very clean and comfortable. Staff extremely helpful, Excellent cuisine in the restaurant. Extraordinary value for money.

A little disappointed how when we booked this place, it said nothing about the pool being closed for winter even though it's spring, would of been nice for them or the website to let us know instead of seeing the sign on the gate when we got there, not a big deal just would of been nice to know before booking... really was looking forward to using that & the spa. Other that than that great food, great accommodation & and friendly lovely people! :)

Nice motel showers beds are good friendly professional staff, only disappointment we have for our stay was the room service I ordered the barramundi and this is what I got $33 for this meal , definitely wasn't value for the money,

Rude reception staff who refused to give us information about the local area and said they'd tell us tomorrow when we were checking out the next morning. I think the receptionist just couldn't be bothered and wanted to finish her shift. Disgusting and grimy room! Big crack in the wall no headboard on the bed. Trucks thundering past as next to the road. Dirty stained sofa bad and chairs. Cheap laminate flooring with a dirty shag rug. It appeared to be a pet friendly room although the reception staff denied this-good luck if you have allergies in this room! We asked to be moved and had to justify why the room wasn't good enough to the reception staff who gave us disapproving and withering looks-shockingly bad customer service. They eventually agreed to move us to a room which was marginally better as it had a head board and wasn't next to the highway but was still awful! The reception staff told us we needed to pay more if we wanted a upgraded room “ if we could afford it! “How rude! As we had stayed at a luxury hotel in the Hunter the night before it wouldn't have been a problem but we refused on principle to pay more as we expect a reasonable standard for the price we had already paid! Both rooms needed complete refurbishment!! We have since likened this hotel and experience to the Canadian TV series “ Schitt's Creek” on Netflix. If you've had the misfortune to stay here you'll know why! The only good thing to recommend is the on site restaurant The Riviera bar and grill. The staff were welcoming, friendly and the service was excellent. We ordered steaks which were really delicious. Not good enough Best Western you need to stop selling un-renovated rooms to unsuspecting customers and using mis leading photographs in your website. You also need to urgently re-train your staff in customer service as they were truly awful. I will never stay in one of our hotels/motels again!!

excellent stay as we can also share all the motel with our rather large dog who is an Irish wolfhound called BB the location is perfect for slipping down town for shopping or snacks. It is a nice quiet location.

We paid $384 for a so called family room for 3 adults for the night. Was so very small. Cracks up the wall and was very dated. Breakfast was poor and service slow. All this poor quality and service for the overpriced amount of $384 per night. Never again

I stayed here for a work trip, it was awesome, the beds are super comfy, the pillows are a little hard though. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff are lovely and super helpful The continental breakfast was amazing

Room was simple but very functional, clean and spacious. Staff were very helpful and friendly, creating a lovely environment to stay in. Food was excellent and accommodation was great value for money. It's the kind of stay we expect but rarely experience anymore.

This is my first visit to Tamworth. Great hotel experience. Stayed in the upgraded loft suite. Very nice, clean, great bed and very clean bathroom. Can't fault the room. The only issue I had was, staying in Winter, the room was freezing and the heating took a while to get going and then heat the room, as it was split level and rather large. However, overall this was a minor issue... room service was excellent.. the pizza was fantastic. Will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Tamworth.

Exceptional service, clean and tidy rooms. Lovely welcoming foyer with a toasty fire in winter.. perfectly placed in the bar area! Restaurant food is absolutely divine with an array of perfectly balanced dishes. If I had to critique anything, it would be that the recently renovated room, with fresh paint, new tiles and toilet, still had old and ill-fitting doors to both the bathroom and the room with a noticeable gap resulting in a bit of a draft. Once the room was warmed up with the air con, this was less of an issue. Well priced with a good quality continental brekky included. We would definitely stay here again if our travels lead us back to Tamworth.

I regularly stay at the Sanctuary Inn (4th time this year so far), it's close and handy to Peel Street where our offices are located. Evelyn and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Rooms are always clean and beds comfy. Room service is always quick to be delivered and the meals are hot, which is great. I will stay here again when I next visit Tamworth.

The bed was so comfortable. The room was extremely clean. The continental breakfast had a great selection and the staff were very friendly. The air con in the room made it very cosy on such a freezing cold night. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay again next time I'm in Tamworth.

Very tired room with the unusual bathroom configuration of a spa bath incorporating a shower in the main room. This, in itself is quite dangerous to get in and out of. The toilet and basin in another room, very strange. Bed comfy and other amenities ok. Good to have a restaurant on site and good location to town and the music museum. Reasonably priced.

The motel was in a good location and the room was as expected. I expect more care and attention to detail when it comes to the Reception and the way in which my concerns about charging my friends accomdation to my card was managed.I would not stay there again simply due to their poor customer service. If you make a mistake then aim to resolve it in a way that brings business back. I don't think this would be the same experience in every Best Western as I have stayed in may over the years and have generally found them to be very good but I will not stay at Sanctuary Inn Tamworth Best Western again as they did not bother to try and resovle my concerns by refunding my friends accomodation to my card.

We have stayed here often on our overnight stays in Tamworth. The staff are always efficient & very welcoming. We love that there is a good restaurant on site that has both great food & service. The rooms are always clean & fresh looking. When we travel with our dog we book the designated pet friendly room which is also roomy & clean. The shower is over the bath so if this is an issue request a unit that has a walk in shower. The location is convenient on the main road but not in the city centre. (we have never had a problem with traffic noise but if you think this will be an issue request one of the units near the pool area further away from the road) Parking is conveniently located outside each unit. There is a Woolworths & Dan Murphy's, Red Rooster & Hungry Jacks within 5 minutes walk plus easy access to the walking track along the Peel River.

The front desk and restaurant staff are always more then helpful & will go out of their way to do anything to help your needs! The food in the restaurant is delicious with a big menu & drinks list The Rooms are always clean and tidy, super comfy beds and have big TVs! My go to place in Tamworth for sure and I will be back!

Stayed 2 nights in a family room that was in dire need for a refurbishment for $250 a night. I then go down with my fiancée and 11 year old daughter for the complimentary continental breakfast to be told it's $10 extra for my child to have a bowl of cereal. So booking a family room really means just 2 obviously. Staff once I had a problem changed there attitude to being quite rude. When a motel just cares about the mighty dollar more then their customers they have a big problem. I won't be staying there again.

They should not allow dogs in rooms without telling u that an animal could have been in there. Rooms desperately need an upgrade specially the bathrooms, still using shower curtains. No writing implements or information on the town available will not stay here again.

Our experience at Best Western Sanctuary Inn , Tamworth was most enjoyable. The staff are obliging and friendly. The room was very comfortable, clean and value for money. The Dinner at the restaurant was well presented and good value with a great range of choices. Breakfast was most enjoyable.

Great location to have a leisurely walk after being in the car. You had easy walking access to the town centre and facilities. Friendly, helpful staff on arrival and departure. Food at the restaurant was first class and the complimentary breakfast was sufficient to start off the next days travel.

I stayed one night in a dog friendly room with my two dogs. It was great being allowed to have my dogs in the room with me. There is an excellent fenced grassed area as well for the dogs. My dogs were even given a welcome treat at check-in!

Close to large supermarket and shops. Friendly warm atmosphere and really good food in restaurant. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Lounge was really inviting making us want to curl up and have coffee and read the paper rather than venture out!

Stayed here for work and in a Premier King Room. Asked for a quiet room as I was here for business. You can hear every single transport truck that drives by. As the hotel is on an intersection, every single transport truck has to brake hard. Don't stay here if you are a light sleeper Room service meal was ok, but expensive for what it was. Bar staff and check in staff were lovely Overall not worth $200 a night though.

Not that great... very dissapointed for the price we paid for. Restaurant food was average too... price for a 5 star hotel, but more like a 3.5 hotel. Quite small, rooms were clean and quite basic. Nothing very special. If you want something fancier book somewhere else.

We stayed here for one night recently. Check in was easy and lady on reception was very friendly. The rooms are nice and big, clean with everything you need. I love the block-out blinds means you don't have to wake up with the sun like some hotels. Parking is right outside the door, which is great, don't have to lug suitcases around. It's in a really great spot as well, close to the main street and Woolworths is just across the road. It is close to a busy road. This is not an issue for me as i have a hearing problem but may be a bit too noisy for some people, although you could probably ask for a room away from the road We also tried the Riviera restaurant which is definitely worth trying, very yummy food. The pool and spa area is lovely, only disappointment would be the water in the spa is cold, ok in summer but too cold for Autumn

Unfortunately we were extremely disappointed with our accommodation at the Sanctuary Inn. We had booked for two nights accommodation in the two bedroom suite for my family. The reception staff were very friendly and there is no complaint there. We checked into our accommodation to find that it was next to the main road and you could here trucks and cars, to a point where we felt like we were on the main road. The room looked out onto the car park so you could not open the curtains to get natural light. We could not stay there due to the noise. We understood that we would forfeit the first night accommodation costs, however, thought we may be refunded for the second night, we tried to communicate with management, who did not return our calls or emails. I am so disappointed with this place, it looked so lovely in the advertising.....but it was sub-standard. False advertising is all I can say.

Room was dirty, damaged.Mould in bathroom, light above bed broken, out dated.. seemed like 1970's style, really need updates. bed was comfortable. we paid $200 per night, breakfast included ( its only a continental breakfast, worth $15 pp/pd), was nice Photos added

I stayed at this motel for two nights with my daughter. We stayed in a room that had a faulty air conditioner that overnight saturated my luggage containing expensive property. On inspection in the morning it was clear that the system had ‘rained' on many occasions as the carpet underneath where our luggage sat was mouldy and the rotting skirting board had been replaced. When I appealed for the replacement of the damaged items I was ignored by the owner Robert Page and then offered a travel card well under the value of my destroyed property! His only return email was very apologetic until I asked for the replacement of my daughters basketball boots and then nothing. I will never stay there again!!!!

Easy check in friendly staff good location value and a clean room . We were near the main road but didn't hear any noise .That's all I ask in a Motel. Basic breakfast was included which was nice I had a cooked breakfast one of the days and the additional cost was minimal

After a 450km drive, a decent shower and a comfortable bed is a blessing. We certainly got both at Tamworth's Best Western Sanctuary Inn. We had a premier queen room that cost $170 for one night. Interestingly our room cost only included two continental breakfasts but we had booked for three? Hot items are available for an additional charge of $10 per head. We stayed in room 35, which was basic but comfortable, cleanliness could have been better as there was dust and dead insects on the window sills. The bathroom was spacious but the glass shower screen in the shower was next to useless with the floor getting soaked after three showers. Internet speed is very slow even on the motels high speed wifi. Maintenance items we reported to staff included a huge crack running from floor to ceiling, a set of bathroom scales that didn't work, a fly screen missing in the bathroom and paint peeling on bathroom ceiling. Amenities in the room included a well stocked fridge, hair dryer, ironing facilities and a spare pillow. Strangely, the bathroom was stocked with only enough toiletries for 1 person plus there was 1 bath robe and 1 blanket in the room. A second blanket was promptly delivered. Very handy location but we probably would book elsewhere next time.

Georgie, Robert and all staff welcomed us with a smile and couldn't do enough for us on our o/night stay. We were with our pet and found that they made a fuss over her as well which was lovely. Food in restaurant great and complimentary breakfast more than enough. We stayed again on the return trip and the greeting just as nice. Would recommend to all as it is close to town, has play area for pets and they go out of their way to make you comfortable. Thank you everyone.

The first impression upon entering the motel was excellent, great staff at reception, easy to check in, very pleasant after you have been on the road all day. Rooms very clean and comfortable, shower was great. The lounge and restaurant was very relaxing, well lit, restaurant staff very friendly, helpful and easy to talk too. The restaurant was clean, well laid out, food choices were brilliant and the food was magnificent.

Great location and room was clean. The furnishings were dated and the bath is in the main room with a curtain to separate them. Toilet and sink are in a separate room. I did not like that to take a shower you have to climb in a huge bath. They seem to be renovating rooms which should be great. Staff were lovely, breakfast was very basic and dinner in their restaurant was very good.

Overall a very enjoyable stay. I have stayed here on several occasions and will continue to do so. It is in a good location within walking distance to the Central Business District, restaurants and Cinema. The Continental Breakfast has a good variety of breads for toast, cereals, fruits, yoghurt and breakfast pastries.

Traveling home we originally we're going to stay in Armidale but it was booked out so we travelled further south and found this lovely hotel in Tamworth to stay the night. The room was basic but clean and quite large We had dinner in the restaurant and that was beautiful really enjoyed the meal finishing off with a lovely cocktail. Very comfortable bed and so quiet so good we actually slept in later then we plan to. An added bonus was complimentary continental breakfast with our hotel stay. The only downside was unfortunately the showers were cold in the morning due to the hot water service apparently going off but other than that lovely stay. The staff were very friendly and attentive and most apologetic about the shower issue I would still stay again.

The room was very noisy - I could hear conversations through the air vent in the bathroom that is open to the bedroom (weird in itself), I could hear the neighbours TV, I could hear the person in the room above me peeing and using the bathroom, The fridge was loud all night, and there was traffic noise. To top it all off, tbe pillows were like lumps of wood and there was no fresh air, ie all windows were fixed. Apparently there are renovated rooms!

As Tamworth locals, we suggest to boycott this hotel. Friends of ours Nigel and Lorraine Hughes recently booked this hotel and had their reservation cancelled and refunded due to a disagreement with the manager Georgie. Travelling in April for a shooting carnival at the annual skeet shoot in Tamworth, they received horrific treatment by Georgie. There are 40 + other hotels in Tamworth and it would be in your best interest to book somewhere else, do yourself a favor so you too do not have to deal with the incapable hands of Georgie especially for the other shooters coming to Tamworth for the event next month. Stay somewhere else, there are plenty of other options. Georgie is to young to be a manager. Best Western as a franchise should seriously consider Georgie's position within the brand and the detriment to it's reputation and the Sanctuary Inn itself employing a young girl with absolutely no idea of how to treat customers and guests. The hotel has a fine restaurant attached of which I have not eaten at in a while, hopefully you will not have to deal with Georgie should you chose to dine there.

I recently stayed there while travelling with work! I was phoned during the day to confirm my estimated arrival time to ensure someone would be available to check me in if it was outside of hours. Staff were lovely and polite upon arrival and the room service from their in house restaurant was DELICIOUS! I had a room with a verandah and a gigantic spa bath that I could submerge myself in. Although I was on the main road, and the occasional truck went by, still managed to get a decent nights sleep! Would stay again

Nice hotel great pool nice breaky would stay again. The motel is easy to find. Although the room was soo small. We had a baby with us and there was no room for a porta cot - we had to re-arrange the room. Smell outside the room was awful tho

Booked at last minute whilst travelling to Armidale and realising we were running out of daylight. Check in was extremely friendly and informative. Dinner was available in the restaurant but we had been in the car for over 10 hours so needed a good walk before eating dinner. Not much available at 8.30 but dropped in at one of the pubs and enjoyed a couple of drinks and some food. Enjoyed the restaurant breakfast the following morning which was included in the price. Great selection of cereals, breads, fruit etc. Highly recommend.

This hotel meet all needs. We booked a queen room and were given a complimentary upgrade to a king. The room was A1, bed super soft and everything was so clean looking. Location was good, just 2 blocks to Hall of Fame (easy walk) and a short drive to town. If needed Woolworth's was very close by. Staff were very obliging. The continental breakfast was included in our price and there was a lot of choices. Loved the free guest laundry. Pool looked lovely but a bit too windy and cool to swim. So glad we chose this accommodation.

Stayed here on the 10th January, but our credit card was charged on the 9th January. I was not happy with the explanation that I received for this occurring. We were going to dine in the restaurant, but there was a dead fly in the water glass and the we had two waiters, both who were not attentive. We ended up leaving and not having dinner there. The rooms were comfortable and clean.

Great customer service coupled with excellent breakfast and dinner options. The décor and comfort of my room was superb and very relaxing- coupled with a great night sleep. Will stay again next time I am in Tamworth.

Horrific treatment from the manager after they made a mistake with quoting prices. I was quoted over the phone $50 per night surcharge for a pet friendly room. This changed to $75 upon booking and when I phoned and queried it I was told someone would look into it and call me back that day. No call came. I called back the next day and explained it again, I said I was happy to pay the rate quoted and was told someone would call me back before the end of there shift (10:00pm) No call came. On the third day I called and was put through to the manager ‘Georgie' I explained how I had been quoted $50 per night by their receptionist, (I have the day and time of the call and invited her to check) I explained my willingness to pay the $50 per night. Georgie was on the offensive straight away and wouldn't let me talk , she was continually talking over me and then raising her voice (not shouting) I was told that I was wrong and that I misheard her staff, I asked her to check as I had the time of my call and had all the relevant info In my diary. I was told “no need to check, I know she wouldn't have a said that” she went on to say at she Georgie “was the manager AND the owner and she decided the rates so it doesn't matter what her staff say”. ....now at this point I could go on about the details of the discussion but suffice to say that this girl had no clue of customer service, she refused to even entertain the idea that I could possibly be right, no suggestion of a compromise let alone the notion that the customer is always right and that there had been a mistake. The last straw came when she called me, a customer a liar ! and told me to go and stay somewhere else as I wasn't welcome there. I was dumbstruck and horrified and I thought it must be joke or a wind up but it turned out that she was and is absolutely dead set for real. I am a seasoned and experienced traveller both here and abroad. I am a business owner who has owned retail businesses. I am an experienced salesperson and sales manager. I have worked for customer service based operations and I can honestly say I have never been treated with such a total lack of respect, courtesy and basic good manners. Georgie is clueless and unless she receives some serious training pretty quickly this place is in trouble. I am one of approximately 20 or so people looking for accomodation for an upcoming sporting event in Tamworth and we all tend to stay in the same venue so I'm afraid to say that none of us will be staying here so the cost to them is significant. I must acknowledge that I went on to get a full refund which is good as it was non refundable booking so fair play to them for that but something needs to be done about Georgie before it's too late.

I travel a lot for work I have stayed at the Best Western Sanctuary Tamworth on a few occasions I must say the service is fantastic The rooms are very clean and comfortable I dined at the Riviera Bar and Grill which is the hotels restaurant It was one of the best dining experiences I have had The food was mouth watering , there was a great variety to choose from It was great value for money , I would highly recommend it

The level of service stands out, at this motel, good airconditioning in room for the summer nights and a great log fire in the lounge for winter nights. Staff were friendly and the service was excellent. Restaurant had a good selection of dishes and wine options. Presentation and freshness of food was excellent.

I stayed at Sanctuary Inn for 4 days in 2018. The room was clean, as was the rest of the hotel. The breakfast was outstanding, by its variety, quality and quantity. The people were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very well located and was easy to find. I found it clean and comfortable and I was especially impressed with how quiet the room was. I also was impressed with how friendly the staff were in helping me arrange some sightseeing and providing general guidance.

We pulled in for the night got a queen room with continental breakfast upgraded to king Lovely room great restaurant enjoyed a relaxing dinner Continental breakfast was quite varied and very adequate.

Nice pleasant ladies at the front desk Apologetic in regards to odour in room.Would be attended to while out,at work. Dissapointing that Best western have lowered there generally good standards here inTamworth. The lounge NOT a good look Yuk Please throw it out.

Prompt check in with an upgrade to our room very clean and quiet, has array of food chose for evening meal even if only a snack after a long days drive, gave us great tips for entertainment around the area and breakfast a must, great stay

I stayed for two nights on my journey south and return. Because I have a medical disability i requested and was given a the same room each night. The friendly staff ensured the parking bay outside my room remained free for my use. The room was spacious and well equipped for my needs. One of the best I've had anywhere. The restaurant served meals to my liking. The staff at the reception, bar and restaurant were pleasant, friendly and efficient. Highly recommended.

I have stayed at all 3 best westerns in Tamworth for business and leisure and with out a doubt the Sanctuary Inn is the pack leader. Excellent restaurant, one of the better regional outlets in NSW. Pleasant staff and great CBD location. Make sure to book a premier guest room. The room i had on the ground floor was spotlessly clean, recently refurbished and most importantly - a lot of tv channels / foxtel. Although it was extremely hot outside, the air-con managed to cool the room.

On a recent road trip we booked while on route & opted for a standard room for 3 adults. Our room was upstairs with a mezzanine un air-conditioned bedroom, with a poorly placed west facing skylight allowing blazing sun to smash it until 8:30pm in summer! When a 2nd fan (supplied one was faulty) was delivered for the bedroom we were assured the room would cool with just the air conditioner from area below, definitely not the case! Even with air con & fan both pumping for several hours the bedroom was still uncomfortably hot when we went to bed. Aside from the heat the room was very tired with dated decor & bathroom & plenty of large cracks in the walls & creaking stairs. The table was sticky from previous occupants drinks. The only positive was the fluffy, white bath towels.

I would recommend staying here. Although we had our room away from the highway, noise was not a problem and very private. the area was tucked away with trees separating car parks. We didn't hear any cars arriving/departing.

My wife and I had an excellent overnight stay. Staff were friendly, room was clean and bed was comfortable. The dining room and bar are excellent. We stayed there on the way north and also on the way back. Highly recommended.

Not 4 star, nothing like the pictures. I arrived at 12 and they wouldn't check me in. Told me to come back. Room was awful, tired and empty. The furniture was old and worn out, the sofa was giving way, the carpet was worn. It was hot, uninviting and not good value for money. I would never stay here again

I was in Tamworth for work. The room I had was huge, albeit a very unusual layout. It was two levels downstairs bathroom lounge, tv and kitchenette. In a loft upstairs was the bed. The day had been warm so the sleeping area was very warm, needed to run both aircon and fan throughout the night. The room was clean although a little tired. There is no TV upstairs, but the array of tv channels ( including cable) is way more than most hotels offer. The breakfast advertised as a buffet is only a continental buffet, so please be aware of this if you are expecting hot options ( this is an additional fee). My room was facing the highway so there is a bit of truck noise. When booking you may want to request a room that is not directly on the highway. I would probably stay here again when next in Tamworth as it is good value.

From the moment you check in the staff are friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The facilities were great and travelling for the first time with our two dogs staying in a motel I was dubious about the ‘smell' in the animal friendly rooms. But I needn't have worried as there was no doggy smell at all. I was impressed ! We will come back for sure.

Our room was spacious quiet clean and comfortable, although it's décor was in a little need of a makeover. Reception and restaurant staff were friendly and accommodating. A good continental breakfast in the motel restaurant was included in the tariff. The breakfast options also catered for gluten free dietary requirements. Had a good nights sleep.

Good things - handy location, comfortable beds, friendly staff. However, the room condition was not so good. Very disappointed in condition of the room, particularly the bathroom where there was mould on the ceiling, worn out cabinetry and tiles in poor condition.

Booked this online. The motel has good rooms not too big or small. The bistro is very good and the staff are excellent. The only point I would raise is k would like a full HD TV but, then I am fussy. I recommend this establishment if you are passing through this way.

We had a spa room more because of the size of the room and despite facing the main road there was not a lot of noise. Good for a 1-2 night stopover. Bathroom was very tiny, room was clean and well presented.

Went there for my birthday, not only did they upgrade my room, all of the staff were so friendly. Best customer service I've ever had at a hotel. The pool was super relaxing and the staff were okay with late swimming. *A photo in this review has Netflix but please understand we hooked that up ourselves via our laptop*

We spent 2 nights here on our way back from Dubbo and i can say we enjoyed our stay, our room was nice and clean and had everything we needed, a nicely stocked mini was also great. Included in our price was a continental breakfast which was great and had a good selection on offer. If we were asked would we stay again, i wouldn't hesitate to say yes. Good walking distance to the centre of town aswell. The front office staff, the girls in the restaurant and the handy man made us all feel welcome.

The staff were friendly, rooms comfortable and cosy. Great proximity to town, didn't need to hire a car. The restaurant in the hotel was top class and one of the best feeds we had in Tamworth. Thanks guys, see you next time for sure!

A great hotel and friendly , helpful staff. We had an upstairs room with balcony which provide some views to the distant hills. This hotel is well positioned, very clean with good sized rooms. The addition of a very extensive continental breakfast is a real bonus.

Booked a room late Everything was perfect. Friendly staff. The room was clean and tidy. Absolutely loved the spa. Breakfast the following morning was a little disappointing. Over cooked fried mushrooms and the fruit salad was from a can. But definitely would stay again.

Travelling on business, this hotel was chosen for location and proximity. The rooms were fine for an overnight stay and reasonably clean although quite basic. In-room tea and coffee facilities are always appreciated as are the bathroom products. We also had dinner and breakfast at the hotel in the Riviera Bar and Grill which was reasonably good for an in-house restaurant. Very reasonable price overall.
