Hello, thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. We strive to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for our guests (and their furry friends) every day. I'm disappointed to know our staff and rooms did not meet your expectations, particularly since our goal is to exceed them. The hotel was recently remodeled but a few items remain as a work in process, we are constantly working to improve. All of the beds in the hotel are new as is the majority of furniture, carpeting, paint and many other items in each room and throughout the hotel. I agree with you regarding the breakfast hours and will bring it up to the management team. Though it is not an excuse, there is a labor shortage in Madison, particularly in the hospitality industry . We are continually looking to hire good people. Because of the labor shortage our staff is working as best they can to meet the many needs of our guests and to make each guest's stay a nice one. I'm sorry about the confusion regarding your dogs. We do charge $25 (price just changed) for up to two dogs or cats. We do have a form which guests bringing their animals into the hotel must complete in order to effectively communicate the rules we have regarding pets on the property. I know it may seem like we are asking for your first born (I travel with my two dogs frequently and feel the same way at times), but legally and, for room cleaning purposes, these forms are required. Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. We apologize if you felt that the online pictures mislead you. As we value all guest input, your comment was passed on to management to improve upon the issues you were concerned about. After looking into your reservation with us, it was found that you were actually staying in one of newly renovated rooms which includes all new furniture and fixtures, new carpet, new cabinets, window coverings and tile, more USB ports and wall outlets, and a wealth of other in room upgrades- we have even repainted all the rooms. We also have several room types, all which vary in size compared to your room- perhaps you looked at pictures of one of those rooms online? In regard to the dark hallways, as we are still renovating the hotel this is an additional area we will be working on.
