SureStay Plus by Best Western Bettendorf

We had a very pleasant stay. Manager was very helpful and the beds were comfy. We wanted to take one home with us. The vintage displayed cans in the pop machine were cool. It's nice to have a fridge in the room. We will stay there next time we're in town.

you get what you pay for and this delivered just fine. it was inexpensive, clean enough, quiet enough and friendly staff. Internet worked fine, the breakfast wasn't really much to eat but coffee was decent enough.

The breakfast selection was very minimal and not fresh, the coffee maker was broken, and the cereal.was stale, There were lights were flickering and there was an abandon car in the parking lot that had been there for a while.

Despite having only a few guests at hotel, we were given a room with no view other than a roof blocking the window. Bed linens were stained. Jacuzzie was covered and not cleaned or filled. Exercise room continually locked even after made inquiry about using it. First morning down to get free breakfast and there was nothing at 8-830 and was too be available until 9. Spent $30 to go out and eat same items that were to be included free at hotel. Another morning there was no pancake batter. There is only an indoor pool and it is NOT HEATED. Water was too cold to enjoy. No daily maid service. One day was asked when seen in hall of we wanted maid and replied we did and left. Returned to find only have 2 towels and took trash . Nothing else done that day or rest of our 4 day stay. No elevator.

This hotel is very dated and all tasks (front desk, breakfast prep, cleaning, etc.) are being performed by the front desk attendant and another cleaning person. Pool was closed, breakfast wasn't ready, room wasn't clean, internet didn't work. If not for the lower price, I would of stayed somewhere else. It was just ok for one night.

I booked a reservation through Priceline and needed to move it out two days due to getting sick. I was worried they'd not accommodate me, but they did! Not only did the manager do such, but when he saw me with the hood of my car up, before he was going to run an errand, he came over to check on me. I told him my car was burning oil and I just needed to keep adding oil to to until I could afford the big fix. The hotel room is great. The manager has been very professional and pleasant and overly accommodating. And the rates are SO low!! Great stay. Love my room: one BIG bed and a couch and a desk.

We had pets and needed an extra bed. They had a large room with three beds that was just right for us. It was great! Nice restaurants were just around the corner. The breakfast was a little light, but that was mostly because there was a snow storm and there were few people at the hotel.

I didn't realize when I made the reservation it was a low budget version of a Best Western. Not happy there wasn't an elevator and just steps. DH & I are in our 60s so lugging suitcases & other stuff upstairs isn't easy anymore. Room was clean but window screen that a large hole in it so we stuffed a napkin in it to plug up most of it. Wanted to keep it open at night and didn't want any bugs coming in. They cleaned the room, removed trash, and gave us clean towels. That's nice considering a lot of hotels aren't doing that anymore. Very quiet at night. Owner and staff were very friendly and nice. It was just OK for the price paid. My only gripe about all the BW hotels I've stayed in so far: The toilets are TOO low for older people with bad backs and knees. Upgrade to the higher ones like most casino resorts have.

The hotel may be a little dated, but the room was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful too. The breakfast was limited, but included sausages and plenty of pastries and breads. The pool and exercise room were very nice, but the hot tub wasn't working.

My wife and I stayed here on a mini vacation. We picked it because it had a hot tub for after a long day of driving . The whole place needed a good cleaning . The hot tub was empty and roped off . The pool needed cleaning so we skipped it also . The free hot breakfast was microwaved sausage links and microwaved scrambled eggs . And they charge a $150 incidentals fee that you get back several days after you check out . I would not wish this place on anyone .

The manager and the hotel staff have been amazing. My bestfriend's brand new car broke down (3weeks old) while meeting to get her step daughter. I drove from Michigan and my bestfriend drove from Nebraska to meet. (1/2way point) owner allowed us to stay for a later checkout while trying to get answers about a rental car. He allowed my bestfriend, her hubby and step daughter to keep there room past noon without even paying for an extended stay. He reserved that room for just in case!! Amazing service!! No this isn't a Hilton or $500 dollar a night hotel but I would recommend this place to anyone! Great service, and rooms weren't to bad.

I was in the area for a dog show. They have specific rooms for dogs. These rooms need a good cleaning. They need to vacuum behind the furniture and clean the carpets, my dogs were very interested in a spot on the carpet, I had to cover with my suitcase. The microwave needs to air out. Would not stay again.

Nice clean room, very quiet and a good value for the bucks. The hotel is a little older and could use a bit of paint outside, but everything inside was fine and in good working order. Located in a commercial area close to highway. Pleasant helpful staff.

We staid here while attending a event at the tax slayer center in Moline. Booked our room on Expedia but The staff was very friendly, the pool and rooms were clean, free breakfast and couldn't beat the price. Would definitely stay here again.

About what you'd expect from the SureStay brand. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Not the most attractive motel, but absolutely fine for an overnight stay. Away from highway noise and very quiet,

The pool was dirty blood in room and on towels at the pool. Also the pool was cold and had like salt floating around well I hope it was salt and not skin cells. Also there were dirty towels at the pool

upon check in, I noticed what appeared to be mice dripping behind the trash can! when checking the room, we found pee stains on the sheets and when moved to another room, the heat was broken and would not heat the room. breakfast was dried out eggs and over cooked links.

Based on amenity issues at other Best Westerns I called the hotel 14 hours before arrival to insure the Hot Tub and pool were functioning as the style of the hot tub was the ONLY reason I booked this hotel. I was told it was working. Upon arrival I immediately went to the hottub only to find it was drained and not functional. It was drained. The hotel would not allow me to cancel my reservation. Once again I called the same day of arrival to verify the hot tub as I have a bad back that is aggravated by extended travel, hence why I look for hot tubs. The room was dirty, the view from the window was of bushes with plastic and paper bags stuck in them. All repairs in the room very shoddy. No care had been taken with the paint and bathroom remodel which was just nasty, hair on the shower wall, etc. No clock was in the room, the door had obviously been damaged and sloppy repairs done. I had brown smelly orange juice in the morning that I poured down the drain. I would not stay here again. There are many other options in this price tier in the area.

It's always difficult looking for a reasonable rate hotel when traveling with family pets. This one was very nice and reasonable. I always love the Best Western rewards and how they can be used. They really put shine other hotels and have never been disappointed. Would definitely stay there again.

I was back visiting friends and family and chose this hotel based on recommendations. I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. While cost is important to me, the hotel was clean and comfortable and I do not regret choosing to stay here. I did have a few apples for the grab-and-go breakfast but did not eat any other items as I was meeting others for breakfast the 2 mornings I was staying at the hotel. No issues with these apples and I note this because many hotels offer such an item but they are older, soft, or simply not a choice I would personally make. Hotel was quiet, little traffic in the area even though I-74 is perhaps 500 yards away (to the west). Ultimately, the best recommendation is that I would stay here again the next time I'm in the QC area visiting friends and family.

I found the staff very entertaining and interactive. Made it a very pleasant stay. I even joined this site thingy just to please and help him out. I doubt anyone reads this far but I must have 200 letters before I can load it

Stayed at Surestay Best Western in Bettendorf. Every part of the hotel was dirty (pool area, window seals, carpet, carpet odor in halls, yellow color on bedding that was likely urine, bug in bed, hair on towels and shower/tub, lint and dust buildup in air conditioning unit, excessive rust on ceiling sprinklers, etc. Took pictures. I considered complaining and requesting a refund but then I read other reviews and decided that would be pointless. Adter my teenage son found the bug in his bed he understandably refused to sleep in the bed and ended up sleeping in my vehicle. It was a terrible night for my family and I don't want another family to have to suffer through it. Based on previous responses from owner I'm sure they'll say I never stayed there but I unfortunately did and have proof of it (pictures, receipts, video). Your only job is to provide a CLEAN space for guests and if you can't do that then close the doors.

We wanted to have a stay cation for my grandson's 7th birthday, some family time, swimming etc, this was a disaster! Upon check in, our room was prepaid for, the rude front desk person sprung it on us we had to provide them our credit card to hold a $150 "incidentals" fee, which was a hidden undisclosed cost and still has not been refunded. After that we were headed to the room and a brawl broke out into the hallway of the building between some guests. That was our first 5 min into the stay. We went up to the room to find it was nothing like the photos online it was dirty, small, the towels were stained and some dirty, the tv kept shorting out and the lightbulbs were unscrewed and we had to screw them back in and the mattress was stained with what appeared to be urine. We then got to the pool the hot tub was freezing cold and when we went to turn on the jets a putrid smell came out of the jets, it was disgusting! The pool water was filthy! The towels at the pool too were stained and dirty. After swimming we went back up to the room and were awaken by some alarm going off at 5am. We got up shortly after to go down to the lobby where they had listed free breakfast would be available. The free breakfast consisted of expired milk and yogurt, 1 old package of oatmeal, no cereal, the orange and apple juice machine was not working and the whole area was filthy. We prepaid initially for the room for 3 days and 2 nights and it was so disgusting we left early and are now out over $400 because of this dump! Its totally not up to code and should not even be open, by far the most disgusting hotel we have ever stayed in and the front desk staff is rude, nosy and cared nothing about our experience, all they cared about was lining their pockets! We should be refunded the entire stay! I would NEVER in my life recommend this place to even an animal! In fact our local animal shelter is cleaner than this place was! Do not waste your hard earned money and stay here its horrible!

My husband & I were attending our grandson's basketball games in Bettendorf. We had points for a free stay so we decided to not risk the bad weather they were predicting and stay in the area instead of driving each day as it was a few hours trip. We did not use any of the amenities...pool, breakfast, etc. so cannot comment. We stayed only 1 night and had a king bed which was comfortable. We only had contact with 1 staff (think the owner) who was friendly & helpful. Older hotel with new carpet & paint.

The staff here are absolutely wonderful and very quick to help any issues that may arise if any. I really enjoyed how updated the room is and the refrigerator. Additionally the location is very convenient in Bettendorf, Very easy to get to anywhere you need to in the Quad cities! I would recommend this to anyone looking for a place to stay when visiting the QC!

Does not deserve the Best Western name. Filthy, run down room, owner completely uninterested in making any accommodation to the customer. In my reservation I requested a quiet room on the upper floor. Even though there were 3 cars in the parking lot, I was told there were no rooms available upstairs. So all 4 occupants were crammed into the same area on the bottom floor where doors were slamming every 5 or 10 minutes until 11:00 PM. After requesting a different room, I was told there were no other rooms available. Then there was the filth, (yep...even during Covid). The microwave looked like something you would find in a college dorm full of 19 year old males. The sink was cracked and dingy. There was mildew and dirt in every corner of the room. I've never stayed at a SureStay before and never will again.

My company Regions Commercial Roofing and it's employees have stayed in this hotel for consecutive months and the customer service from the hotel manager has been exceptional. They have been attentive and welcoming keeping constant communication with us and have met our requests for extra rooms every time we've had to move personal around! I recommend using this hotel for your lodging needs.

Not recommended. Stayed here awhile ago: creepy outdoor-type insects and cobwebs everywhere in the room, no air conditioning in hallway, first floor window in hallway was open thus making intrusion from criminals too easy to cut screens of windows to get in and prey on guests (not safe for hotel guests, at all), and worst of all, no elevator to upper floors. Had to carry all my luggage and heavy business equipment two flights one at a time, which was a major inconvenience. Person at desk was friendly, but this hotel needs to cleanup and update to modern utilities. Bed was not comfortable. Very disappointed. Will never stay here again.

We stayed here for the entire week this week and had such a great stay. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. Everything was very clean and if we needed anything they got it for us immediately. Our kids loved the gentleman at the front desk. He was just a joy to see everyday, he greeted us with a smile and friendly conversation and really made us feel at home. The pool was open and clean. I can't find anything bad to say about our stay here. It was really beyond expectations for the low rate we paid. I highly recommend this establishment.

Always like best western, but that day I walked into the lobby I wasn't impressed with that place. Very strong odor of chlorine, but it looked clean. The attendant was not friendly at all. He didn't say anything about the breakfast or internet pass word. Went to the room and had a very strong odor. Bottle cap laying on the floor, crumbs on the floor, empty potato chip package on the floor under the chair. The water leaks from the spout in tub. On the good side the bathroom toilet was one of the new ones and the tile looked good.

The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is a bit dated but it was very clean. The room smelled fresh and we appreciated being able to bring our doggies with us. There is nice grassy areas around the hotel and plenty of sidewalks for walking.

Very cool owners, nice and friendly with a great sense of humor. If you could give 10 stars, I totally would. My Husband works on the road and I have never experienced such kindness. I will for-sure stay here again when we are around the area.

I want to give this hotel a 5 star!! Let me start by saying my boyfriend travels all over for work, an I have never had such great service in my life! An Mac the owner is such an amazing person, so caring, an meets all your needs! He went out of his way and got ice cream for the girls! I wish more hotels were like this! Will definitely be back from Minnesota to visit Mac an his family

I have stayed here for business recently and have continued to chose this location to stay at each week when I come in town. I will even drive here from Moline or Galesburg to stay with Mac and his family. They all know me by name now and will go out of their way to make me feel welcome and comfortable.

During my stay Mac would call me by name. Yet this was my first time there. Walmart Target are within 5 minutes along with numerous restaurants. Easy to get to off highway. I will stay here again when in the area.

The hotel was decent and the value was super! Great breakfast, clean and very comfortable rooms. Nice and quiet. The owner, Mac, was a great guy, funny, friendly, very accommodating to our needs. A true pleasure to know and do business with.

When you are staying at a value hotel, your expectations aren't that great. However, I felt like the SureStay Plus Hotel by Best Western in Bettendorf met and maybe exceed my expectations. The staff was kind and friendly. The hotel is older, but it has been renovated. The breakfast has hot items as well as continental items. The room was clean were it needed to be--bathroom, carpet, bedding... My only "complaint" was when I pulled out the nightstand to plug in my two medical devices, there were a bunch of cobwebs behind it. Overall, for a $55 a night room, I was pleased.

Room was filthy. Mold growing on AC unit and bathroom exhaust fan. Hair and dirt everywhere. Socks turned black from one trip across the floor. Towels all dirty and permanently stained. After two nights, had a sore throat and headache from the musty air in the room. Front desk blamed housekeeping for the room condition, but there was obviously no maintenance either. I had to move out after two nights, couldn't take it anymore.

Had a really nice two night stay. Everything great. Owner was excellent!!!! Was a last minute change to stay there. Will for sure be staying there again!! Hot tub was really relaxing. Beds were nice. Will tell friends about our stay!

The hotel itself is the definition of average. Absolutely nothing fancy, but serviceable and cheap. The room was clean, wifi was fast and I didn't hear the neighbors. Breakfast was about what you'd expect - there was bacon! The hotel staff were pleasant and attentive. It is tucked back away behind some office buildings - not easy to see from the main road.

I've stayed at this hotel multiple times in the last couple months through work travels. Mac has always made my stay comfortable and has accommodated to my every need!! Would definitely recommend staying here!!

I stayed here tonight while I went to a wedding. Was very enjoyable. Front desk staff was most helpful when I needed advice on anything. And I would be happy to stay here again if I was coming through this area.

What you get here, is a pretty good experience. Amazing staff and owner. You are treated friendly and that's great. The rooms are pretty nice, and not to mention indoor pool and hot tub. The breakfast is not bad at all. I don't have anything bad to say. I recommend people check it out.

The owner of the hotel is very friendly and goes out of his way to make your stay memorable. I recommend this hotel to anybody. The hotel is pet friendly and has a great continental breakfast. The rooms are very clean and beds are comfortable.

Mac is Great and is very welcoming and treats you like family. He even remebers you after your first stay.The rooms are clean and dont dont smell musty or wierd. Breakfast is great. This is also a quiet hotel also. The staff even knows where to go for the best food in the area.

This was the worst hotel experience ever. The pool is straight hose water and freezing. The hot tub was warm, not hot (but if you do the polar plunge in the pool it seems warm). BUT the fumes are so bad we were coughing with sore throats after 5 minutes. 15 minutes after that my daughter was throwing up. We went to the owner, Mac, after being at the hotel an hours, explained the situation, and politely requested a refund to go somewhere else. He was very rude, saying the chemical levels "are up to code" and if we threw up and couldn't breath, it must be a bromine allergy. We travel at least monthly and have never had a hot tub issue. He refused any refund. After calling Best Western directly, and us finding a bed bug on the stained sheets, he offered a partial refund. When I went to the desk, he THREW my money at me, saying "You go! Goodbye!!" I'm sure he'll respond to this, as he did other reviews, saying "this is not an accurate review, call the hotel, blah blah blah"... I ignored the negative reviews because of the positive ones, but hopefully I can save you from the same mistake. I'm thinking the hood reviews are from his construction workers who say there and congregate in lawn chairs around the doors.

Being a truck driver have stayed in numerous hotels, but here at Sure Stay hotel in Bettendorf, IA, I am treated better then most places. The manager, Mac Patel makes you feel like your staying with friends! Always look forward to my visits! Thanx Mac!

Mac is one of those people that goes out of his way to make sure you have a great stay. Grounds are kept up, wife has a nice garden, rooms are clean, pool area is nice and has a hot tub. All around had a great time.

Great staff and **Hot Breakfast**, excellent location and great for the business traveler with multiple room options Construction/trucking/regular vacationers all hanging out BBQ or at the pool. Mac the owner helped with all out business needs. Good price point

Called at the last minute for a room with 2 queen beds. When we pulled up the manager, Mac came out to greet us, offered to carry our bags in. The rate was reasonable, the room was comfortable and clean. The exercise room does get hot and stuffy but they have a fan. If we travel to Bettendorf again I will definitely use this hotel again. Thanks Mac for making us feel so welcome!

Good place to stay and close to the interstate highways of I-80 and I-74 in the Quad Cities. The access is off I-74 but is also a couple of exits from I-80 on the north side. Plenty of restaurants nearby

I am a loyal Best Western customer, but I will never frequent a Sure Stay again. This property is doing the best it can with what it's given, but it is seriously sub-par to a regular Best Western hotel.

The rooms there, were very inviting and warm. They had breakfast that they served from 6-9. Not really that far from local attractions. All in all very good place to stay, and I recommend you give them a try.

Manager was very nice, but Stains on carpet & Shower curtain, in general it needed a good cleaning, Breakfast heated food could have been a little warmer, and Cable TV channels they listed were not available ( Manager said it was a Mediacom problem?)

No frills great value hotel. Mac was very friendly and made for an easy check in and check out. I actually booked this room at about 11 pm after a very poor experience at another hotel in the area and was extremely pleased with the room upon check in and slept great. Place was clean and comfortable, no complaints whatsoever. Really not sure what the bad complaints are about but I can say that they are not representative of my stay.

I can't believe the reviews on this dirt hole! They couldn't possibly be legit. I reserved 2 rooms for 1 night. Staff was nice and beds weren't bad. Outside very nice, then you go inside. The hall and 3 different rooms I went into had a horrible odor. No locks on any windows and it was VERY DIRTY! I didn't want to take my shoes off and walk on the carpet. The heater/air conditioner was so filthy I was afraid to use it. Very thick dust on everything and a musty moldy smell every where. We got there VERY late and used Best Western points or we would NOT have stayed. It is better than sleeping in your car - but not much. DON'T STAY UNLESS YOU HAVE NO OTHER CHOICE.

We stayed here as a result of the Marriott being overbooked. The room was adequate for a one night stay. The hair dryer needs a little more power to it and the coffee machine was dusty, so I did not drink it. Mac, the owner and front desk attendant, was very friendly and remembered my husband's name the next morning when we checked out. He really makes the hotel stay that much better. He is friendly, professional and jovial.

We, my grandson and I enjoyed our stay at SureStay. The room was clean, motel well maintained and the pool was great for a 10 year old. However I am disabled and had problems getting in and out of the shower because the assist bars are placed for someone in a wheelchair not someone who is standing but NEEDS assistance getting in and out safely.

I was was in Bettendorf for a graduation and the Sure Stay Plus was close, within 2 miles of my family, and easy to get to. It very comfortable, clean, and a good value for the price paid. I would recommend this motel.

Stayed here for business in April 2019, actually stayed for a couple weeks and everyone was great and friendly. Will definitely stay here again. If you're on the upper floor, will need to park at the ends instead out front.

When we are in the Quad Cities, the SureStay is our “go to” place to stay. Mac always welcomes us like family. It's so nice to see him and we appreciate the hospitality. The pride he takes in this property is evident from the landscaping improvements to the clean rooms.

This hotel was a good place to stay. The room was big and spacious. I highly recommend this property. The Manager Mr. Patel was awesome. He really cares for his customers. He goes above and beyond. High five to him.

This is the best Hotel in Bettendorf and we only stay at this Hotel ever time we come to Bettendorf for work that's almost every week. The rooms are very clean and comfortable with plenty of room. The pool and hot tub are awesome so is the hot breakfast. The best part is the staff especially the owner Mac he makes you feel welcome and treat you like family. You can't go wrong staying here.

We come to the Quads city 2 to 3 times month for work and this is the hotel we stay at.Its super clean and quiet the rooms are great and the best part is the owner Mac he's very friendly and fun also they have then best breakfast

The owner here will make you feel right at home, and the cozy rooms along with the pool area and (albeit small) exercise room will give you something to do. The owner, however, is the biggest draw to this establishment. As soon as you walk through the doors, you are a treasured guest and a friend.

I have been staying at the Best Western Surestay Hotel in Bettendorf, Iowa for 2 months now and I can't say enough about the owner and the service I have received. It has been second to none, I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling in this part of the state. Thank you to him and his staff. Jay

We had two rooms for a quick family visit to area. There was a lot to like about this property, but also a few important areas of need. I'll just list them out. Pros Price Friendly staff/owner Bed was great and lots of comfy pillows. Pool and hot-tub Located in quiet area Breakfast had great choice Cons Outside worn down Rooms needed better cleaning. For example carpet around baseboard unvaccumed, top of shower stall very dirty. Room smelled musty Hallway worn and dim Personally I'd stay again if price was right and if it was another single night stay, but others (women) I traveled with said they would not stay again. It all depends on your tolerance for some things.

Stayed here 2 nights to attend Easter Vigil. We did not know what to expect but the price was so good we thought we would try it. First time to stay here and we will be back. Hotel was very clean with all new furniture and had been freshly painted. Beds were so comfortable we didn't want to leave. Our room had a studio apartment size refrigerator and microwave. Room was large with full size sofa. Couldn't believe breakfast was included. I was expecting a roll and coffee. What a surprise—-bacon, sausage, fresh apples and oranges, 2 cereals, milk, waffle maker available,scrambled eggs, and milk. Coffee was available 24 hours. The best part of stay——heated indoor pool and hot tub. Stay here you won't be disappointed,.

I stayed here for the first time while out of town for 5 weeks for work. Hotel is clean and staff is friendly and helpful. Told my coworkers about it while I was there and many also ended up staying there too.The manager Mac is awesome! Really sincere about making sure your stay is going well and have everything you need. It's close to all the shopping and popular dining you could ask for. Definitely staying here next time I'm in the area for work. John H.

I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay for the price I paid. The room was nice and the bed was amazingly comfortable. Mac - the manager - was incredibly nice and friendly, to the point where he even made my waffle and poured my coffee at breakfast. I would hold this hotel up as an example that "budget" or "value" doesn't mean "low quality". I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone needing a room in the QCs.

I had a great experience during my 3 week stay! My room was clean and breakfast was nice. I enjoyed the waffles! The manager and staff were very welcoming. Great service all around and I would definitely return!

What I great experience I had staying at this location. Very accommodating, great owner, and great service. I come threw here once a year for work, I will never stay anywhere else. Owner is one of a kind, the friendliest guy you'll ever meet. Thanks for the great stay. Many of us from our group will be coming back for years to come.

Our family practically filled this hotel while gathering for a funeral. All was good and the staff was friendly and very supportive during this sad time. There is no elevator, but with only 2 floors this was not a problem. Overall excellent experience

Great service at check-in and check-out! Room was clean, well kept, and overall nicer than any comparable motel I have stayed at recently. Better than the average breakfast. I think this motel far exceeds the Best Western standard.

I have stayed here when I come to the Quad Cities for business. I look for the best values when I book my hotels. I believe for the cost of the room you get a very good value. The manager and I talk when I arrive and I enjoy our little chats. It is close to Hwy 74 and their are a number of good eating places in the area.

Was extremely disappointed with this service from the start when I checked in. The owner said my gift card wasn't valid and I couldn't use it on this visit at his hotel. He stated that it has been a common issue and I eventually asked him to call to see if we can fix the situation at that moment instead of dealing with it later. He was going to make me wait to use it so I wouldn't use my gift card at his hotel then. I found out after our visit that my charge had an addition charge on top of being charged for the room. When I called and asked he said it was a refund and it is pending. I confirmed that I was not refunded, nor was it pending and that the money was taken out of my account. Once I finally reported it to the Best Western Company he said he would refund my account that day (on a Friday) and I should see it in my statement that day or the Monday after the weekend. I still have not been refunded for this charge nor has he responded to my e-mails. I'm in contact with the Better Business Bureau of Iowa because I just want my money back that is rightfully mine. We were suppose to have a good relaxing weekend celebrating a wedding anniversary but this trouble I have gone through completely ruined it.

I thought that this would be a nice,clean hotel being a surestay Plus but it was filthy and loud.You could hear everything inside the room and the heater was making loud clicking noises all night.The hot tub was disgusting with white stuff all at the bottom.Staff said it was sand??Not sure why there would be bucket fulls of sand.It felt like staff was watching us the whole time in the pool area and at breakfast,which was also a filthy area.The fruit was not edible,there were crumbs of food all over the floors and counters and the hotel was practically empty so it was probably there for days.We found a lot of hairs in our room,trash in between couch cushions and under the bed and couch.I guess you get what you pay for. Spend the extra and stay somewhere else.

An old Super 8 that has been remodeled and upgraded. Nice clean room with a good bed and very little noise. The breakfast was solid with the normal options plus eggs n bacon. Most important the staff was very nice and made you feel at home. A def. place to stay when in the Quad Cities.

My wife and I stayed here Saturday night. We checked in around 6pm, then left for the evening, returning around 11pm for our overnighter. Check in and check out went well. Front desk staff were very friendly and very helpful. Our room was on the 2nd floor. Our room was clean and smelled good. It was spacious. The tv was very nice and had a nice assortment of channels. There was a microwave and mini refrigerator. The room was very cold when we arrived, but heated up quite nicely in the time that we were away that evening. Breakfast was pretty good. A couple of hot items, along with a waffle maker made it even nicer. The breakfast room is pretty small, but it seems like they are really trying to provide a nice breakfast. And the toaster was amazing. I am used to hotel toasters that do not work very well at all. The price for this room was very nice. I would absolutely stay here again.

The best thing I can say about this hotel is that the staff was friendly and the showers were hot! During our stay, my family and I went to the pool to enjoy some swimming time, but when we got into the room, we were choked out by the chlorine chemical fumes. We were only in the pool room for about 5 minutes before all three of my children, myself and husband started coughing and complaining of our nose and throat burning. Not only did the pool area smell like chlorine but the entire Hotel did as well. As far as the guest room, there were stains on the carpet and sheets.

The hotel is outdated. Breakfast was good. Chlorine from the pool was present in the hallway and strong. Room wasn't clean. Very close to activities. Staff very friendly. We booked for 3 days and only stayed for 2, but paid for 3.

We travel a lot for business and have found the SureStay Plus in Bettendorf to be our "go to" when we pass through the Quad Cities. The owner, Mac, always greets us with a smile and makes us feel like we are welcome. This means a lot after a long day!

Traveling for work if I'm within 30 miles I would make the drive to stay here. This is a Great place with Clean comfortable rooms and an Excellent staff. I've been staying and will continue to stay at this hotel every time I'm in the area.

Been here many times love the place good rates great management a pool will return they recently started selling beer witch can come in handy in any situation rooms a clean not all broken or torn up nice quality

Absolutely best value for money. Had no problems, place is so quiet which is amazing considering it's right off the busy roads. Fast internet, good bed, decent water pressure in the shower. Couldn't hope for a better stay.

Overall great experience! I have been to the Quad cities multiple times now and this has been the best hotel I have stayed at. The manager at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and looks to be maintained very well! Bed was very comfortable. Great internet that allowed me to do my work. With all the amenities (free continental breakfast, pool, internet, etc) this hotel was a great price!

Passing through on a road trip. The room was nice . They charge you $150 security deposit that is suppose to be returned when you leave. I get home two weeks later and get my credit card bill. The charge is still on it. I call the hotel and talk to Mr. Patel. He says he will make sure it is taken off. It has been over a month now and still no credit. I will never stay at another place that charges a security deposit!

Visiting the Quad Cities. I have stayed at a lot of hotels and this place was one of the best that I have stayed. It was an exceptional deal. Great price that includes internet, free continental breakfast, a clean room and comfortable bed. There is a welcoming warmth from the manager Mac Patel, who is also knowledgeable of various restaurants and activities in the area. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting or just passing through. 5 stars!

I rarely leave reviews but this was one of the best hotel stays we have ever experienced. The location is pretty great whether you're passing through or visiting Bettendorf or Davenport. Everything from the facilities, lobby and the room itself was sparkling clean and the beds were very comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly as well and willing to help with anything. This has been by far the best deal for a hotel we have ever had. Would definitely recommend!

He has a great personality and recommended a good place for Chinese for dinner. The hotel room was very clean and bed was comfortable. Continental breakfast was fine for a free breakfast. We had a great stay for the short trip we had into Iowa. First time in Iowa and the location of this hotel was great and in a safe area. Our room was clean and we were able to check in early when we arrived. Would recommend!

What a great experience! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We needed extra pillows and they brought us pillows to the room right away. We were impressed with the name brand shampoos. It was a great stay!

Didn't measure up to other BW properties or to good reviews I read in advance. Very poor WIFI; musty smell in bathroom; stained sheets and carpet; freezer iced over and fridge not 100% clean; minimal amenities; breakfast items very limited; mattress just OK.

I have stayed at this hotel several times while in the area for business. It is conveniently located by the expressway and near the commercial/restaurants areas. The hotel is clean and price efficient. There is wireless and continental breakfast with make your own waffle. The owner, Mac, is great. He knows me by name and is extremely friendly and helpful.

This hotel not only is clean and quiet but also a great owner Mac Patel ! I left a Samsung tablet my room and left for home. He not only tried to stop us before leaving but also called us several times. He had it waiting sucurely behind the desk and presented it to me with a big smile. Not my last time in the area ( Mississippi Blues Festival was amazing) and will stay for sure at Sure Stay.

I've had the pleasure at staying here a half dozen times over the last year due to an ongoing project - there are many hotels in the area, but this is a gem. Mac, the owner, is often working the front desk and is supremely friendly and helpful. Check-in is a breeze and the rooms are clean and comfortable. For the quality provided, their rates are excellent. If you're in search for a good room with friendly service without breaking the bank, this is the place to stay.

We met Mr Patel the hotel manager and he was AWESOME!! His customer service is top notch!! His friendly demeanor was spot on!! I am glad we found this particular hotel and Mr Patel what a GREAT GUY!!!

There are fancier hotels, but why pay for the frills you don't use? This hotel has lots to offer. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, all rooms were just renovated March 2018 with new beds, furniture, tv's. etc. This hotel is close to several casinos, major shopping malls, and most anywhere. The awesome free breakfast is plentiful with many options to choose from. I enjoyed the cleanliness of my room, good working a/c. It is nice to be greeted by a familiar face each time I visit by the owner, Mac is fun and energetic! This little gem of a hotel has all the charm and necessities for any traveler who appreciates a good value for the rooms. I would recommend SureStay Plus in Bettendorf for all the great amenities without the stuffiness of larger hotels. I have been a guest here several times, it has always been good!

I traveled here with family and were greeted by very friendly staff with a smooth check in. Rooms were super clean, spacious, and appeared to be recently rennovated. Weather was hot so we enjoyed the pool to cool off. The FREE HOT breakfast was delcious - surplus of options to choose from! We will definitely be coming back soon!

Just fine for an overnight stay. Nothing fancy, that's for sure. Wifi worked well and they serve breakfast. The staff were nice and helpful, and we would probably stay there again if we ever needed to.

This place is a 2.5 star ...Never a 5 star!! Place is old looking. Rooms were almost clean. Beds were nice. A/c worked great but noisy. Halls were loud. It's just a run down place with clean sheets. Breakfast was free and OK I guess. My wife called me a cheap skate for staying there...

Furniture is brand new in all the rooms. And front desk service is great. Rooms were very clean. Owner Mac Patel is very friendly and recommended few local places to check out. I'll be returning to this hotel again on my next TRIP!!

I was in town for a business meeting and Sure Stay was the perfect place during my trip. It was an easy check in when I was running late. The hotel offered great, FREE wifi that actually worked and allowed me to finish my tasks easily and timely. The room was beautiful and clean, with plenty of space to work and the bed was comfy and warm. Breakfast was also easy and quick and they had freshly made waffles! I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the QC, especially for a business trip!

Our room was very clean and had a homely feeling and atmosphere. Furniture is new and very comfortable, beds are great and felt like we were sleeping on our bed at home. Heat and air conditioning works perfect. Hot breakfast with plenty of varieties of breakfast items and fresh fruits. Internet-WIFI works great. Indoor swimming pool and hot tub is great. Mac the manager is a great individual very active and friendly, made sure we had everything we needed. Hotel employees are friendly courteous and helpful. Lobby and breakfast areas are very clean, organized and appealing. Will always stay here when visiting Quad Cities. Very close to lots of good restaurants, casino, gym and other places of interest. Highly recommend this hotel for families and business people.

Mac the owner is awesome! He is a very friendly guy and is always making sure everything is good! I stay here 3 nights left for 1 and came back to stay another night! When you walk into the lobby it is nice an appealing! The rooms are very nice and clean! I will always come back here when on the area!
