Je m’inscris I was greeted with a smile at the front desk. I stated I was traveling alone so the hostess put me in a location closer to the office. I felt safe coming and going as well as lodging at night. I highly recommend this location as it is close to other amenities.
I've been holding off on a review expecting the manager to contact me. My info was with the front desk and I also emailed the manager - no response. We arrived at the hotel in the evening, unpacked, went to dinner and came back. We had a handicapped room since my husband is disabled. Around 10pm I got undressed for the shower and there was no hot water. The water ran for 5 - 10 mins, moving the handle and still nothing. We called the front desk and they offered to find another room but we had unpacked, undressed and my husband is disabled. We opted skip our showers and complained again at the front desk in the morning. I guess they just didn't care. We wanted to shower and go to bed. I guess we got 50% of what we wanted and I was expecting an adjustment on my bill. Nope.
roosters will wake you promptly at 3am & continue until 8am (like every 2 minutes). General manager will email you 6 days after the initial complaint and tell you that basically she doesn't care, that we were told about the issue at check in (flat out lie) and that “chickens have been in the town for decades and that she was being courteous for even emailing us back”. Do yourself a favor and choose any of the dozens of other hotels. The air conditioner is loud as heck but still won't drown out the cock-a-doodle-doo'ing from roosters literally at your door. Not to mention the sanitation of not taking any action over these dozens (and dozens) of roosters walking and living on the property. Think chicken poop everywhere. A year ago the chickens became unprotected so they could absolutely come up with a solution to rid the hotel of this problem but instead I'll await my generic response back for everyone to read, so it will look like they are doing their best to help me, after they have clearly shown they are not. To the front desk manager Christine. We know you tried to help us and agreed wholeheartedly with our problem, telling us we deserved a full refund and the upper management just gives you no authority to help in situations like these. We appreciate you trying to make this situation better, advising us to at least take points until we could talk to the manager (unfortunately we would get “well you took points” thrown in our face and to even get a partial refund the points would be taken back… literally immediately). To Amrita, you know you have a huge problem at your hotel and instead of trying to help your customers you give them the run around and actually falsely accuse them of knowing about the issue. You need to do better. We have stayed in the area before and never had this problem nor have i ever encountered a more unpleasant experience with an establishment in my life. As a constant reader of reviews before making hotel choices I hope this reaches as many people as possible… before you make a mistake of staying here and living a nightmare like we did.
Check in was great and pleasant. Staff was very helpful. Room clean and very comfortable bed. Secure location. Easy access to freeways. Several eating places to choose, some in walking distance.
We spent 3 nights at the Yuba City Best Western motel recently. Oddly, we noticed a few hens in the parking lot when we checked in and heard a rooster in the distance. Christine at the desk told us about the wandering poultry then I found a news piece on the internet. Lovely to see an urban environment embrace and celebrate this quirky piece of history. Apparently, some guests are put off by the chickens .We found it to be quite charming!
Friendly staff and clean room. Reasonable update to facility. Water pressure was a bit low at the hot setting. Thermostat on wall did not have the option for 'fan-only'. Fan would only come on after a change to temp - which is incredibly annoying seeing as the unit itself has the option to have the fan on constant. That did not get translated to the wall thermostat. Somewhat of a huge letdown as I need constant air movement for my sleep and don't want to have to pack around a small fan everywhere i go. Breakfast area is small compared to other BW's. Breakfast offerings are minimal - not plentiful. Breakfast food items not refilled or ran out frequently. Only a problem since other BW's I've stayed at are constantly monitored and refilled asap - before the item is empty.
I've stayed at this hotel the 2 times I've traveled to California. The staff are extremely friendly! Rooms are clean and up to date and the FREE breakfast is great! Roosters are a nuisance but that's not the hotels fault but expect to hear them.
Very nice hotel! Everything was very clean and maintained. The workers were friendly. The breakfast was biscuits, eggs, sausage gravy, fruit, waffles etc,. The area felt safe, and not too far from Sacramento but plenty of restaurants nearby. I would definitely recommend!
This hotel is located in the heart of yuba city, close to many delicious restaurants, great shopping and have wonderful wild life that visit! There were chickens and roosters that's hung around outside
Rooms and bedding were very clean. Front desk reception was very friendly and professional. The breakfast needs to be better attended to. The food was cold, there was no butter, and the juice was not drinkable. The freeway is close so it's very noisy in the evening. Hotel is conveniently close to good restaurants.
Our flight got in late and it was another hour and half to our destination so we decided to stay here. The front desk staff were very helpful and made sure to find a room that fit our needs. The room was ok it could use some updates but it was really comfortable. The roosters were up early lol but that was fine. The breakfast was amazing. The biscuits and gravy was very flavorful like a meal prepared by your grandmother. I was very pleased.
This place was very very outdated. It has a musty smell when you walk in the room. The furniture is ripped and torn needs to be replaced. The in room coffee is awful. The TV is hooked up to satalite but it goes in and out so you cant really watch it. The light in the bathroom and the fan comes on automatically so at 3am you get a bright obnoxious light shining in your eyes along with a very LOUD fan. Didnt bother going to the breakfast.
This place is a dump. No service for a five night stay. Odd smell in the room. No screen on the window to air the place out. The breakfast was ok. The pool area was fine, but the hot tub was filthy. It wasn't warm enough for swimming but the pool was open in April.
I was very pleased with my stay at this hotel. The staff were all very friendly, especially the overnight lady! The room was very clean, well appointed, and very comfortable. The breakfasts were very good, with a good selection of items that changed daily. The pool and hot tub were very nice, and the laundry was very reasonably priced and easy to use. I do wish there was a change machine in the laundry, but that's not a big deal at all. The location is great, within walking distance to food, shopping and more. Overall, I very much enjoyed my stay, and look forward to returning soon!
I stayed with a friend while attending a concert at Toyota Amphitheater. It's conveniently located near restaurants. The hotel was clean, the breakfast was pretty good, and the staff were very friendly. The spray from the showerhead was amazing! We got a kick out of all the chickens and roosters wandering around the area. We slept with earplugs so we weren't awakened by the roosters. I would stay here again.
Great older hotel, very well taken maintained, but the staff really make a difference. the pool, the rooms, breakfast area all very clean. Welcoming staff that makes sure you have everything you need. comfy bed, fast wifi, large tv, refreshing pool. Very quiet even though the place was booked.
Had a wonderful stay everything was exceptional. The staff was amazing and helpful. When I had a problem with the wifi they called customer service and were able to get it up and running for me with no hassle.
I have been staying here for business for over ten years. They are super friendly, the rooms are very clean, the food is good. Location is easy to access. I highly recommend this hotel because the people are great!
Any time I come up to this area I always stay at the Best Western. It's conveniently located near restaurants and shops and also has easy access to the freeway. The food is pretty good and the staff is very friendly.
Clean Hotel with Pool and Breakfast. Stayed here while attending a concert at Toyota Amphitheater. Only about a twenty minute drive to Hard Rock Casino. Lots of food and stores nearby. Would recommend for a decent priced hotel if you are in the area.
Very friendly staff, hotel is so close and walking distance to food and shopping. Pool area clean and relaxing. Rooms are clean and kept clean, along with the rooms being quiet. Would stay here again.
Had to stay before a new job...made my morning easier. Room was clean and quiet, breakfast has decent options, and the pool was inviting. I was glad that I got a buzz cut because of the limited water pressure in the shower.
This place is a dump. I cannot imagine why people would say it was clean. My husband, who is the more tolerant of us, could not even stand it. He wanted to move hotels, but felt stuck. There is no hotel in town that seems would be decent. The hot tub was filthy with a scum on the top.
The bushes in the back house atleast 6 roosters, if not more, and some chickens, and they kept us up from 4:00 in the morning on! The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly, breakfast was pretty okay, accept for the girl who attended to the breakfast, who needs to be fired for her rude demeanor and attitude. For the price, there are nicer hotels that compare in value. I have mixed emotions, but if I needed to stay here again, I would, but only if its near the front of the hotel and I may skip the breakfast and just hit up Starbucks.
This motel has a great breakfast and great showerheads. Otherwise the internet didn't work, we had no toilet paper and two tiny towels. It is one of two motels in this area that seem relatively safe if you are traveling alone or with kids. I have stayed here multiple times before and this was the worst experience. For the amount of money, I would expect better.
stayed before will stay again.Staff were excellent - very friendly at the front desk, and the breakfast attendant was also thoughtful and friendly. Clean room, comfortable beds, yummy selection of hot breakfast items. Centrally located. We were in town specifically for an event, so getting there and back was a breeze.
Cute hotel comfy great wifi nice breakfast. Quiet easy off check in and out close to road. Staff was friendly and professional Loved the free chickens all over town. Roosters etc run wild Funny but true local mascot?
Would stay here again very clean and slept like a baby close to everything restaurants and a Harley Davidson store close by and many more check it out and stay at the Best Western, you won't regret it at all…
The stay was good, quiet, no problem resting. All the amenities in the room were in good working order. The desk clerk called a couple of hours into our stay to make sure everything was ok. Only problem I had was the chickens poop out on the walkway and around my car. Other than that the stay was great!
Chickens seem to be everywhere in Yuba City. But the 20 or so at this Best Western (I almost called it "Worst Western") like to cockadoodledo at all hours in the morning. Like at 2am or 3 am or 4am. Wife and I were not well rested for the trip and chores ahead. And there is chicken crap all over the place. Watch where you walk. The room was clean, the breakfast maybe so-so. The staff was friendly, but short handed. Did not use the pool or any other amenities. Oh yeah, the toilets are so close to ground that us older folks have trouble getting back up!!!
We had to travel with our football team. Rosa helped set everything up for our team and was just so helpful. The room was nicer than expected. The pool was a little cold but still fun and the other tub was good. Close to lots of restaurants and the field we were playing at.
It needs a major face-lift and I'm 99% sure there is blood spatter on the wallpaper. The walls and underside of the door is indicative of major water damage and has never been repaired. The holes that have been patched up were done by someone with no skill set and the carpet looks as though the time to replace it was 5 years ago. The outside (sidewalk) needs to be pressure washed as the free roaming roosters have defictaed everywhere. Just overall a dirty, run down place.
This property is adequate for a short stay. We went to a local concert. The room was very basic but clean. Funky carpet needs to be removed. Room needs more UBS ports by the bed and a light for each bed. The staff were all very nice.
So let's start with front desk ladies are wonderful love to see everyone smiling and happy Well so I come in at 4 in the morning I always grab a cup of coffee and I see Carmen prepping for breakfast and everything so I though she was the new breakfast worker I got excited for a min haha you guys are really lucky to have a sweet young lady on your team. Me and Carmen talked and laughed it was a wonderful conversation! You guys should put Carmen for breakfast since she's already doing half the work haha Now Angie on the other hand she's really rude I don't know why you have her working for you guys the way Angie spoke to me was very rude and disrespectful and I'm a common guest but at the end of the day I don't think I'll be coming back due to Angie being disrespectful I have friends and family that come to this hotel but I'll be telling them what happened for they won't come to this hotel either Rosa you need to find a new breakfast worker sorry to leave a bad review but this ain't the first time Angie has been rude to me or my friends that stay here.
Stay was excellent, close to highway. Any troubles that I had were quickly resolved by staff. Would definitely stay here again when passing through. It was weird but fun to see wild chickens running around outside.
If you are looking for a place to stay during your visit to Yuba City. This Best Western is your place to stay. The personnel are very professional and helpful. in making your stay pleasant. Definitely, it's very clean, good breakfast and great location closer to everything. Come a check it out!
I can't believe I never left a review for this place. I probably come like once a year but I love it. Close to EVERYTHING. Random chickens and roosters everywhere. I love it. Front desk is so sweet and nice, I'm kicking myself for not getting the ladies names. Rooms are very clean, large, comfy, and very reasonable in price. Only place I'll stay when I get into town.
Nice place to stay clean good customer service, very friendly staff and good parking, would definitely recommend any one and come back, next to shopping and restaurant a plus, Safe place clean out going staffs
The staff is incredible, rooms are very clean, breakfast was wonderful and had a great time at the pool. I would highly recommend this hotel for any stay. Two of came here last minute for a family emergency and all of the staff were great. I had an incident where I lost my wallet and the staff helped me retrace my steps and even took the time to check their cameras for me to help me look for my missing item. They went above and beyond and actually cared to assist me. We appreciate your kindness and hospitality.
Excellent hotel and team. Very clean and helpful in all aspects. Definitely a place I'd recommend staying the ice machines for broke down and that employees took it upon themselves to get us ice when we needed it
Rooms are large and clean. Staff was very helpful and polite. Will stay again if I'm in the area. Complementary breakfast was perfect for a quick bite before a long day. Rosa at the front desk was spectacular! Very pleased with this location.
I was disappointed with our stay at the Best Western in Yuba City. One of many roosters roaming the property crowed continuously at 5:40 in the morning. For our three night stay, I expected housekeeping to visit our room. When I asked at the front desk why housekeeping had not visited, I was told that they only come after a fourth night in a room. I did request more towels and toilet paper which they gave me to take back to the room. The used towels stayed in the room for entire visit. I will look for different lodging next time.
Do not stay here. The tv did not work, the toilet came close to over flowing every time it was flushed. It took 10 minutes to drain so you would be able to flush it again. All of the furniture was very chipped and not clean. The night stand lamp did not have an USB port and only one plug in. Staff not friendly. Stated hotel full, we think everyone was living there. We stayed in 3 different Best Western's in 5 days and this was the worst, the worst Regular Best Western we have ever stayed in.
My hotel stay at best western was very good. Staff was very cautious. They are welcoming. Place was clean. Location was good. Near restaurants and gyms. Breakfast Internet and gym in the hotel is great.
Great little hotel has a great breakfast and great service in the office We stayed here for a couple weeks on business and they were very accommodating great service and a very good breakfast we liked it a lot and would come back here thank you thank you
Extremely efficient and courteous staff here at best western. I was satisfied with their room cleanliness and the options at the breakfast. This is one of the best hotels I've stayed at. The hotel does look like it needs an upgrade but overall it's kept in good shape. Rosa, Emma and Alexa were very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast below average; business center non-functional; jacuzzi had no heat; roosters crowing outside our room at 4:00 AM; wi-fi too slow; staff is unhelpful to resolve situations that come up. Either they are inept or do not care.
3 Roosters was crowing since 2am and it was roaming around near the hotel and front room doors. Couldn't sleep at all. I am not sure whether management aware these noises. Overall Room is clean, breakfast was ok kind.
Emma at the front desk was so helpful on checking us in after we got stuck in Yuba city do to I-80 been close and explanatory on what the hotel had to offer Maria was so professional on cleaning our room and Alex on checking us out
I've stayed her a couple of times. The rooms are spacious and very clean. I appreciate that they have a coffee maker and refrigerator in the room. Each stay has been quiet with no issues. The staff is very friendly. The breakfast is great. They have several different options including a hot breakfast and multiple beverage options. It is a great place to stay.
We traveled around the country. Staying at 22 hotels. This one is in the top 3. The staff was amazing and accommodating. We even extended our stay without a problem. If and when we decide to go cross country again we're not going to drive we're going to fly. We will definitely stay at this hotel again! Everything is hotel has to offer from breakfast to maintenance front desk everybody there should be commended. The front desk and the manager knew what our plans were as far as driving across the country. We were even asked to email them when we got home to let him know we were safe.
This is the very best BW we have ever stayed at. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, including housekeeping. They made the whole experience fun and homey. Wished we could have stayed longer.
Hotel had great breakfast great front desk persons, housekeeping needs to step up bathroom had what looked like some orange mold (I could scrap off with finger nail) and I was bothered early morning by housekeeping banging on door which I hate for the price one should not have to deal with these issues, a touch expensive other than that stay was OK!
GREAT service - rooms and location. This is deffinitly the hotel to stay out for your Yuba City visit/work. Wonderful experience at the Yuba Best Western! Ask for Rita for the most professional service experience. Bruce S
Pros: Convenient location Friendly staff Nice decor Great breakfast Nice sized fridge in the room Shower pressure Cons: WiFi was slow Bathtub was cracking and severely discolored Beds aren't flipped so they sagged. Carpet is very dirty. When you pull up the grounds are nicely kept. Beautiful flowers everywhere and very green grass. The front desk staff, Ralph, was very nice, prompt and gave you all the information you needed to know. When getting to the room, my request for a bottom floor was granted. When you first walk into the room I found that the room was clean (on the surface) and like last time, well appointed with the basic needs like a fridge and microwave. We didn't encounter the same problems as last time, (broken equipment, loud rumbling from the factory near by, poor faucet placement ) but there were some new challenges. For example after my 11 month old crawled around on the floor for about 30 minutes and her hands and knees started to turn black. Makes me wonder when the last time the carpets were cleaned. The bathtub was severely discolored and looked like it was cracking. I will say the shower pressure was REALLY nice. WiFi was slow, but not as bad as other hotels we've stayed at. The breakfast was also really nice. It was like it used to be before Covid hit and so seeing that little bit of normalcy was nice. Bottom line I would stay here again because the issues we experienced last time appeared to be isolated to one room but they still have some room for improvement.
This is a nice hotel to stay during your visit to Yuba City. Convenient location with restaurants nearby and also within walking distance. It's on the main street so really convenient. The staff is very nice and helpful and made check in and check out easy and fast. I've stayed here before and would stay here again. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean. The pool is also open now. They have a free breakfast, which was just a simple breakfast. You can have scrambled eggs, potatoes, and make your own waffle. There's also cereal and fruit, and there's a juice dispenser.
We enjoyed our stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly, the free breakfast was delicious (we love the waffles =-) , and the breakfast room was kept clean and orderly. We didn't spend much time in the hotel during the day, but it was perfect for our needs.
Friendly staff and helpful in suggesting items to fit my needs. Courteous explanation of specific qualities of various items demonstrated staff knowledge of the products available for sale. No pressure to purchase one item over another. Helpful in suggesting price conscious options. Excellent, thank you.
We had such a wonderful time; everything was so clean. All workers were so helpful and friendly, Breakfast was so good and you had such a nice choice. We took my mother with us to the best western and we're so happy that she enjoyed herself as much as we did. She was also so impressed by the hard working friendly staff.
Staff was great! Pool refreshing, room very clean and overall hotel was very well maintained. This is an older hotel, but it doesn't feel old. We heard nothing from the other rooms even though it was packed. Breakfast at 8am and everyone was gone! We heard nothing. Comfy beds and we did not hear roosters! Fun place with friendly helpful staff! They do it right!
at 830 am, staff opened our door to clean, WTF we were still asleep and it felt very intrusive like we needed to leave cause they had to clean so others could pay for a night, not cool, should not interrupt sleep to get ahead on schedule.
Pros: Great water pressure in the showers! Beautiful grounds and the mini fridge was a very good size. Overall decor was simple but nice. Great location with restaurants and some grocery stores near by. Cons: The Sunset factory was right behind the hotel and the low sounds caused almost a audible vibration in the room, it got worse when you stood in the sink area. Could potentially be fixed with better windows. The beds, or at least the bed that I got had no support and sagged. You can tell the mattress NEVER get turned because there was an imprint where people sat up in the bed. The faucet in the sink area for the bathroom was set back so far that you had to press your hands against the sink to get water. The shower curtain was placed so gar into the shower it was almost claustrophobic. The towel rack was starting to come out of the wall and I saw hairs that weren't mine or my husband's in the shower. Also the bathroom door had streaks of who know what on the face of it. Last thing that kind of solidified that this hotel needs an update was that there was only one plug between 2 queen beds. In today's world of cell phones and tablets I would think at least 2 plugs would be and industry minimum. I know I complained a lot but I will say this, it wasn't the worst hotel we've ever been to but it could be so much better. Like the window situation. Just replace the windows in building 3 that face the factory. Make sure the beds get flipped and check to ensure they are in good working order. I would stay here again if some of these changes could be made.
Friendliest most helpful staff, best continental breakfast I've ever had, priced right and good rooms. Rosa and Valerie helped me out immensely. I stayed here the first time I came to Yuba City and when I came back I knew exactly where I wanted to stay!!
Nothing worked in my room, the toilet seat CAME OFF while I was using it, I ended up busting my bottom. Another guest accused my son of taking selfies by the pool, the manager calls us to the office to show ALL our cell phone pictures as proof we were not doing anything wrong! That is outrageous!! Guilty until proven innocent at best western Yuba city. By the way, If you accuse someone of taking inappropriate pictures you better be sure that's what's going on before you accuse them!! That is discrimination. Wrong, wrong, wrong.
Was very pleased with my room. Hotel staff was very helpful. I would recommend staying at this hotel over other hotels in the area. Close to food shopping and entertainment. Had reservations for another hotel and decided to change to best Western last minute due to other hotel being a dump with roaches
I enjoyed my stay with BW, they accommodated all of my needs and I was very satisfied with the value and quality of service. I didn't have any issues with the speed of the internet which was my main concern.
We loved it here. From breakfast to the pool and all the complementary extras. Centrally located plenty of restaurants and shopping options and close to the river. Resting and relaxing in our room was peaceful. Our experience was lovely. Oh and we love the random chickens in this town. My kids couldn't get enough of them haha
Cleanest motel ever visited. Excellent staff well trained , friendly and accommodating. COVID-19 somewhat hampered their normal breakfast offerings but food was good and attendant superior! Absolutely no complaints. Amenities excellent.
I always make sure to stay at this hotel when I'm in town for business. I have stayed here 6 times since August of 2020. The front desk staff are always professional and courteous. The complimentary breakfast is also great. The meal offered varies day to day. The rooms are always very clean and nicely decorated. It's a quiet place and parking is pretty good too. The GM is highly professional and strives to make the hotel the best it can be. Due to its popularity and great value, some nights can book up so be sure to reserve well in advance.
My only complaint was the breakfast server was not wearing a mask and she was scratching her head! The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean. Be careful stepping down when you exit the room if you're on the second floor. Big drop.
This is my second visit and both times the front desk made check in easy and quick. They talk and chat and make you feel like you're at home. Rooms are large and clean. Hotel is literally next to everything, mall, shopping, food, etc.. so you don't have to travel far. Overall, I think I found my favorite hotel out here.
Our family suffered a death. We went to clean up the deceased's apartment. Unfortunately the apartment management got nasty and wouldn't let us stay there. This hotel became a reasonable "port in a storm" We stayed there four nights. It is hard to say anything good or bad about it. It served it's purpose
Had to stay here for business for a month and I had a lot of issues. The staff was able to fix a lot of the non going problems due to work. The manager and her staff were able to fix our problems. The crew and I had less stuff to worry about. That made my crew and I to have a great time on off hours rather than fixing everything late at night after shift. So that help us alot. I do recommend this place. Also they serve breakfast there too and that is a plus.
Go to the Hampton nstead! Rude Manager Amrita, burst water pipes, parties until after 2:13am, stay away if you want a good night sleep and a shower in the morning. Will never have myself or my employees stay here again.
The rooms don't look and feel COVID clean and I had to change my room because there were hairs in the bed. The fan in the bathroom was really noisy and turned on automatically when you walked in along with the light. For the price 30% higher price then others, I would suggest you look for another hotel. The building is overall tired.
The room was clean and I am picky and like 5 star hotels. I had no problem with the hotel, slept good and enjoyed a nice breakfast. Everything exceeded my expectations. I would stay here again and will tell all our workers to stay there.
Since I am always traveling for work I always like to stay in a hotel that has a great mattress and is very clean and best western has what I want and much more , that's why I am always relieved when I see the best western brand when I am traveling
Always an ok place to say..very friendly..breakfast is always good.. staff are usually very helpful an friendly.. rooms are nice an clean.. the bed could be upgraded but other than that a nice place to stay.
This is my go to place to stay in Yuba and Sutter Counties and it did not disappoint. The rooms were clean warm. They continue to put the time into the property to keep this well established property in great repair. The folks at the front desk are very attentive although they are hopping around making sure that requests are taken care of. Rita and Rosa are great representatives of the brand. Although breakfasts are altered with COVID, they do a great job keeping a strong selection of items so there is always something that you like. Thank you again, see you next time!
Staff is always amazing and the property is always well kept, the rooms are always REALLY clean and kept upto date, this trip i was here for work and had to use the wifi and it was really fast I had no issues connecting or downloading files, had my daughter and husband with me this trip as well and they had no problem streaming Netflix on her tablet, it was nice to see they started serving hot breakfast with an attendant who was respectful to my 5 year old when she asked questions about breakfast, I have stayed here several times before and during the pandemic and have NEVER had a bad experince at all, I dont stay anywhere else when im in Yuba City. T
I was at this Best Western location for about three weeks and I had such an awesome experience! The front desk people had great customer service and always had a smile. Also, the cleaning ladies did an awesome job keeping my room clean frequently even with COVID protocols. I had to leave tips because I was very satisfied! I recommend anyone who needs a hotel to stay for any event. Thank you Best Western Yuba City Inn staff! :)
Expected much better than what we experienced for a Best Western & the price we paid per night. The rooms smelled of mildew & fridge leaked water. Informed staff & no one came to fix so after 2nd night we were moved to another room. This room smelled of animal urine which got worse each day. Faucet sprayed to one side. No blankets/bedspread because of COVID? Had to ask to get. The positive thing was the friendly, helpful desk staff.
From the moment I arrive d. I was very pleased with hotel staff. They are so friendly and helpful. I am glad I made the choice to stay at the Best Western. The rooms are very comfortable, clean, and have great amenities. The staff make you feel like family. The breakfast is also to die for!
We stayed 2 nights while visiting family. The room was ok but what made our stay very rewarding was Andrea, the night clerk who was exceptionally pleasant, helpful, courteous and went out of her way to accommodate our questions and requests. Angie, the delightful cook offered up a wonderful breakfast. Both gals made a good impression on us. Thanks Andrea and Angie, you both made our choice of a hotel very pleasant.
Under evacuation orders, BW went above and beyond to make sure me, my husband, my 2 dogs and my 2 cats had everything they needed to feel safe during a very stressful time. The maid staff are top shelf! Fantastic. Angie and Robert in the front were so wonderful. Very professional, courteous, and very helpful. Breakfasts were fresh and filling and the convenient, hot coffee was delicious. I am so very thankful to Best Western for stepping up to give me and my family temporary shelter during the Bear Fire Evacuations. It was much needed assistance during a very scary time in my life. Sincerely, JennCox,Forbestown California
Stayed 9 days at this hotel. The sink, toilet, and bathtub were backed up. It took 3 days for them to fix it properly. The vending machines either didn't work or everything was expired in them. The snacks in the lobby were expired. We called maintenance at one point because our toilet was over flowing and she said she would send someone right away, never bothered because she was too busy. One lady at the front desk was very rude. She acted like it was a big deal if we needed more then one coffee or one towel, there was 3 of us in the room. We didn't get maid service until almost our last day there even though it was requested 3 times. I am giving 2 stars only because there was one person in the front lobby, a night clerk, who was extremely nice to us when we needed something, otherwise this would easily be a 1 star review.
Very nice hotel. Would definitely stay again. Liked that there was a fridge and microwave. Close to restaurants is a plus. Pretty much right off the freeway. Pretty quiet stay. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
This is a very nice hotel! Clean, modern and I really enjoyed my stay. The only problem I saw was it was very hot outside, and I just could not get my room coo enough. It had a set number iit would not go any lower. It was to warm for me to sleep comfortably. This hotel was near all kinds of places to eat, so that was real nice..
We arrived really late at night but from the fast check in to the fast check out and the very nice personal thank you for staying with us, it was all around a great stay. My room was VERY clean, and smelled really good when I walked in even my 4yr old said "wow mom this room is very nice and very clean, we should stay here again" all around this was a great stay and my family and I will be staying here every time we come to visit from the bay area!!
Staf was very helpful and friendly, property was very clean and well kept, the rooms were very nice and clean. I will be back everytime im in town and will definatly make sure my family and friends stay here as well.
The room was perfect. Staff was friendly. Warm delicious cookies in lobby as a welcome when we arrived. Check in was seamless and friendly. Room had everything we needed. Breakfast was the best I have ever had at any hotel in this class! Angie cooked and prepped everything and even came around to refill our coffee. There were eggs, breads, sausage, cereal, pastries, etc. Much more than expected and a happy staff made it very pleasant. This meal held us over for most of the day! THANK YOU all staff. Would highly recommend!
Nice, wonderful staff, clean rooms, nice to see grounds keepers keeping property clean. Lobby staff very warm and friendly and kind. Room nice size easy to maneuver as a handicap person lots of available parking near our room
We had several people coming in from around the country for a funeral service. One attendee is from an area that has a high concentration of COVID-19. As such, and to protect the funeral attendees, that individual decided not to come. We cancelled that room and were honest as to why. Their incompetent staff put the notes in wrong and said that my dad, who lives locally and would have no reason to stay there, has the virus and cancelled our whole reservation. They would not listen to the truth. In addition, they, for some stupid reason, banned my mom from the property as a whole. Nobody in the arriving party has, or has had exposure to, anybody with the virus. The one that may is the one room we tried to cancel. So, now, we are dealing with a death in the family and have nowhere to put people. The staff at this place are both incompetent and heartless. I get that they need to protect themselves, but they should also listen to logic and be reasonable. We cancelled specifically to protect them. Idiots!
We always stay here. The beds are comfy. Each room has its on Ac/heater. They also have fridge and microwave. There are ice machines and soda machines in a few different places. In the office they have snacks for sale... The office also has coffee and cookies in the lobby. Breakfast is wonderful. There is something different everyday. Angie is wonderful she come around and fills up coffee cups. She makes all the food and keeps everything clean. The whole staff is so wonder!!! All the girls are supper friendly and helpful. It is the best place to stay in all of Marysville and Yuba City!!! This will be my go to hotel when I am here!!! Thanks so everything you girls do!! Your the best!!!
The food is good and hot and everything is always filled to the max Angie is super nice in the AM, and makes sure you had a great meal to hit road! And ladies at desk are super nice and helpful and made sure my room was top notch!! I will be coming back for sure!!
room was clean. Was to have transportation to an appointment and that was falling thru, desk receptionist offered to call a cab and Rita believe she was the manager offered to drive me herself. Wonderful, helpful couple of ladies at the desk. Wish I could recall both names but they were great. Stayed on 02/06/2020 thru 02/08/2020. Also breakfast was great.
Hotel was clean and quiet. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Within walking distance to stores and restaurants. Cookies and snacks offered in the lobby. Although I did not eat at the breakfast offered, the setup looked clean and well laid out.
If you're looking for a hotel with friendly and helpful staff, clean facilities including the breakfast area and a very good value for the price, Best Western Yuba City Inn is the place! The lobby is bright and cheery and the grounds were neat as a pin.
We stayed on Christmas Eve after a family party in Marysville. Got in after midnight. Brian was at the counter helping an elderly customer, and he was so polite and helpful. When he went to help me, he had all of my information correct, asked if the room we were given was okay or did we want the first floor instead, and gave me all the information we needed. The woman taking care of the breakfast room was busy replenishing food and cleaning tables, but not too busy to answer my questions (I'm vegan). She was friendly and helpful. Our stay was quiet, and checkout was quick and easy. If we needed a place to stay in Yuba City again, I wouldn't hesitate to make a reservation at this hotel.
Rooms are overpriced at $140/night. Location is horrible (strip mall in Yuba City). Carpet in room seemed dirty--minimally, not "fresh." The "hot breakfast" was a joke, with scrambled eggs I can only assume were made of powdered eggs, powdered milk, and water. The breakfast sausage (a deep-fat fried frankfurter) might work as dog food, certainly not as human breakfast food. The room television hummed annoyingly even when turned off, so I had to unplug it from the wall. Staff tried very hard to be helpful, and were cheerful & friendly. I did not experience a staff problem--I experienced a QUALITY problem. The hotel advertises a $1M renovation but maybe the contractor made off with all the dough.
First, I have never seen a breakfast nook that was so clean and so organized. The breakfast food was similar to other hotels but being so clean and organized certainly helped to make it that much more appealing. Rooms were newly renovated and were clean. Excellent value for the price and I would stay here again and recommend this place to others in town.
Room was very noisy. People walking outside and using the bathroom next door we're clearly audible. Not worth $144 for the night. Bathroom lights on motion sensor was particularly annoying for mid night usage.
But they still have that unmistakable motel room smell. I guess it takes more than new paint and wallpaper to get rid of years of people smoking in the room. If that is not the cause of the smell, then please don't tell me. I don't want to know. The room is nice, beds are good. Staff was friendly and helpful. The Breakfast Buffet was pretty good. They had chicken patties one morning so you could have chicken and waffles!
I liked staying upstairs, no noise from cars or pedestrians. I loved having a hot tub to relax in after my training classes and also I loved the cookies in the lobby, my treat for making it through the class.
My friend & I went to a concert & was really happy we were only like 20 mins away from Best Western. We got a great discount for such a nice quiet, clean place. The gals who worked there were very friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make it a pleasant experience. I would definitely stay here again when we go to our next concert in that area. We missed the free breakfast but the gal working there gave me fruit & yogurt to go, seeing how I wasn't feeling well.
We were evacuees from the Kincade Fires in Sonoma County,Ca. The staff made sure we were comfortable and cared for, especially Melissa. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. We found everything we needed for our stay available in our rooms.
Room and bath were very clean, people were very nice and helpful. Check in was quick and easy. Check out was also quick and easy. Would stay here again. Lots of places to eat near hotel. Things to do also close.
I would like to give this hotel a five star, but it is a Best Western with doors that open outside. But the staff is great. Rosa was very helpful at the front desk and Angie was great at breakfast. They even offered to make me a special breakfast since they were having western omelets with meat in them.
On a business trip I stayed aweek, so I've become acquainted with the staff. I give everyone high marks for: being a welcoming, helpful, thoughtful and friendly. I don't get any points for writing this review, as I've already written my official review of the hotel, however I'm doing this extra little bit because frankly I'm impressed. I frequently utilize BW hotels in my travels and this one is exceptional; in cleanliness, comfort and a truly high-speed internet. I would like to commend the following staff Angie and Alexia in the kitchen especially for the "Tacquitoes" delicious and I enjoyed them so much; Vicky in house keeping - you are a rey of sunshine and thanks for the extra coffee; Trevor in Maintaince, thanks for the quick lens cleaning on my door lock and finally Melissa at the front desk---thank you all. Amrita Kumari is the manager and she keeps her staff happy and her guests comfortable. Thank you all.
Excelent staff, This is a very busy hotel after the paradise fire even with so much turnover they do it seamlessly, and with a smile on there face. always there to help, but never in the way. the pool & hot tub is always clean. the gym is tidy and always stocked. the room is perfect. Resturaunts are within walking distance. and even a movie theater. i work long hours and i need a quite and comfortable place to unwind after a long day. this best Western dose that
A nice clean comfortable room at a conveniently located property. The breakfast was well stocked with many choices. The front desk recommended some fun places nearby to watch a game. I stay here for business and wish other places were this well run.
We stayed three nights. Premises was very clean. Easy driving access to main points of interest. The staff was great. Very friendly and helpful. Smooth check in and check out. Breakfast was delicious and food items were well stocked.
My wife and I stayed here one night on our way home from vacation, also to visit a friend of my wife. The check-in was very good and the cookies and coffee appreciated. The lobby area was nice and clean. Our room had a king bed, flat screen TV, desk, 2 chairs, fridge and microwave. The bathroom was good size and clean. Breakfast was good with waffles, eggs, sausage, yogurt, toast, muffins, coffee, juice, a nice variety for guests. Parking was good, we parked right in front of our room. The location is fine, restaurants within walking distance. Only negative was noisy people walking by late at night, and person in next room coughing, no fault of the hotel. If you need to stay in Yuba City, Best Western would be a very good choice.
What could have been a bad experience turned into a lengthy problematic situation. We had rented a car and were not familiar with the keys. It was a keyless vehicle. My husband dropped us off at the hotel and took the vehicle to the gas station a couple of miles down the freeway. While I was checking in, my husband called me to let me know I had the key and he could not restart the car. I was telling my son as we were checking in and the lady at the counter just stood up and offered to take my son to my husband so he could give him the key. We were strapped for time, and this could have ended up a real problem, so she had no idea how much we appreciated her help. Awesome.
We arrived early and the front desk help suggest a great place to have lunch and thy would call when the room was ready. This was our second visit to Yuba City BW and it was wonderful also. The location right on CA 99 and right next to the Harley Dealer is very convenient. The staff was great and very helpful in every area of service.
The room was clean, nicely furnished and quiet. Nice toiletries in the bathroom. The only issue I had was the pillow were smaller than an average pillow and flat as a pancake in about 10 minutes. Upgrade the pillow and the stay would have been great.
Never ever under any circumstances stay at this very poorly run Best Western. It took 1 hrs to get signed in and get our room. Reason some idiot decided to update computers in the early evening. No back up system in place to find us a room. Updating computers has to be done at 3 am when all guests are signed in and asleep.
The hotel, room, lobby and dining area was very clean and presentable. I would not hesitate to use this hotel again. The daily continental breakfast was well beyond expectation, each day was a different main course and everything was available until closing.
They went out of their way to make sure that we were settled in and comfortable. The room was spacious and clean, and the bed comfortable. It was quiet, convenient, and a place that we had stayed before, and will certainly stay again.
Service at Check In & Check Out Cordial & Fast!!! Breakfast Attendant, Angie kept all foods & beverages (hot, cold, dairy, fruits) filled. She also kept tables clean & trash emptied! She was on her toes doing an excellent job!!!
I needed to be in Yuba City to visit a sick family member which is never fun but the staff and amenities at the Best Western made it easier to deal with. The room was updated and spotless, the pool was very clean and provided a pleasant place to relax outdoors. The breakfasts were great and the staff was very friendly and helpful. It is located within walking distance of several restaurants and close to shopping.
We travel a fair amount and use fair value properties (vs “budget” properties) up to so called 5 star+ properties. Best western has been our go to site for local values and have never been disappointed with the product and value received.
Very friendly staff. Clean rooms. Would reccomend this hotel to anyone who is traveling and needs a good nights sleep in a clean easy to reach hotel. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The grounds a kept clean too.
During my short visit to a dear pastor's wedding in Yuba City, CA I reserved a room with Best Western through a Hotel Reservation site and I was billed. I arrived at Best Western but they found no previous reservation from this company which resulted in my having to pay for the unfounded reservation twice; but THANKS to the General Manager (Rita) at Best Western, who worked tirelessly with this offsite company to resolve my concern, I will be fully reimbursed for the $189 extra charge within the next 5-7 business days. Again, THANKS so much for your help Rita. Ms. Clarinda L Harris Chicago, IL
Staff were excellent!! good location for highway access and plenty of food options within a three minute walk. Rooms were clean and bed comfortable. Parking spaces are a little tight as some large work trucks were present during my stay.
Hotel was clean and staff was helpful, we arrived just after midnight and rested well. Had to wait about 10 minutes for someone to appear at front desk to check us in, but it wasn't a big deal, breakfast was nice and internet worked well. Would stay here again if in the area.
Went to Toyota Arena for a concert.....Needed a place to stay for the Night.....The room was squeaky clean, the bed was comfortable, the furniture was adequate.....had a fridge with freezer that worked....the staff was great....only negative....when you walked into the bathroom, a motion sensor set off a loud fan and a bright light that woke up everybody....don't pee at night unless you want to carry on a conversation with everyone in the room!
The motel was very clean inside, but the outside was a motel. I was there for business and needed to stay close to work so I picked this motel. When I walked up to check in, there a "tweakier" sitting on the curb outside of the lobby. Then when I walked up to my room there was 8 guys standing on the second floor over looking the pool with their red solo cup full of beer. With that being said, they were all very nice and polite, I just wasn't comfortable being on my own and not a place I would want to bring my family. The treadmills were broken, and so was the elliptical. The staff was extremely nice and friendly and the breakfast looked great.
This was a great Best Western. The staff couldn't have been nicer. The breakfast area was clean and well stocked. The room was was clean and in good shape. We even took a dip in the very refreshing pool. We would definitely stay there again.
Clean quiet place, Breakfast was great. Rooms had a clean smell and fresh. I will book again in the future. Thank you entire staff for an enjoyable stay.Price was very afordable. close to resturants Mall and highway
I was very happy with my stay at this Best Western hotel. This hotel was very clean, my room had a mini fridge with a separate freezer area, had good breakfast and the cookies they offer in the lobby were delicious! The pool area was nice and peaceful.
This is an exceptional hotel with a very accommodating staff that really care about their guests needs. They offer an out of the ordinary complimentary breakfast, clean and neat rooms, and very well kept grounds. Theres a fitness center along with a jacuzzi and pool. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with them, you will too.
Due to the fire at Paradise CA this was the closest place we could find to stay as we were visiting in Orville CA. As we are Best Western members this was a good choice. It was clean, good breakfast and friendly staff.
Everyone was friendly. The room was clean and welcomed after the horrible experience I had at a different hotel chain that involved cockroaches. Every staff member I encountered while walking around greeted me and asked me how my stay was going and if I needed anything. Bonus is it is a short walk away from In-N-Out Burger.
Was there for a night and everything was great! Great service from all of the staff. The breakfast was delicious and filling. Everything was clean and in good shape. My only complaint is that the bed was too stiff for me, which cause me to have a backache all day. So if you like stiff mattresses, then you are in luck!
This was one of the best “Best Westerns” I have stayed in. The staff is helpful, knowledgeable, Friendly and accommodating! The rooms are a little old but not dated and are extremely clean and comfortable. The hot breakfast was hot, tasty, well stocked and the staff was helpful. Everything about the experience was geared to put the customer first and their main goal is that the customer has a wonderful experience, which I did. And the warm chocolate chip cookies were wonderful as well. Additionally, there were several restaurants within walking distance.
Check your room for cleanliness before checking in. This is a nice hotel but my room had trash left in it under the bed and under the TV. After notifying staff the trash remained after two days of cleaning.
This is a nice, mid-priced motel. It is within walking distance of several restaurants. The motel was clean and had everything we needed. I did think it was a bit pricey for a BW in Yuba City, but because of the Camp Fire, I guess all the motels have raised their rates. We were told this by a local.
The Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Check in and check out was fast and easy, and as a Best Western Rewards, I was offered express check out. The room was big, spacious and clean. Considering the size of the room, desk was a bit small but manageable. As a business overnight stay, it would have been nice to have a bit more desk space to spread out papers and such. Internet service was good, better than most hotels. For the breakfast, I thought corn dogs was an odd choice for a meat selection. Other than that, breakfast was as expected and similar to other Best Westerns.
The rooms service food is amazing and very amazing place to stay at. I highly recommend staying at this facility. The breakfast is very delicious and the service is amazing and great people too. Plenty of parking for all sizes of vehicles. Well maintained rooms. Closest place to home for me and my family that lost our home in the paradise campfire November 2018.
2 disabled seniors in town for minor medical procedures after 1.5hr tiring drive. Early check in request accomadated. Other safety requests were not especially one for 1st floor.due to cleaning schedule
You don't want to know. Too many issues during the short stay. Property was not clean, full of cigarette butts. Guests sitting in chairs outside hotel doors smoking and when you opened door room smelled like smoke. One person was smoking a cigar which permeated in to the adjacent rooms. The staff made insinuations about the room being no smoking and they charged $200 for a room cleaning fee because they were unable to rent the room the next day. Breakfast food did not appear fresh and other side items appeared out of date. Rewards program was not followed and all employees, management and owners determined they could not resolve all of the issues.
Good quality for the price of room. Clean room and front desk staff very amicable and helpful. The breakfast was good and a variety of options were offered. Would definitely stay here again when visiting family in Yuba City, CA.
The staff is top rated. Love how Melissa and Oscar treated us. Never complained about noise from upstair neighbor. I have a son 15. I understand people with children and how RESPECT should be shown toward others. Their children were younger but very noisy. Running and running even at 6am. No respect .
A pretty clean and comfortable room. I really appreciated the veteran discount. Pool, sauna looks good. We will see how the breakfast is tomorrow morning. You also get reward points in which I use toward southwest airline flights. Overall a good deal.
We have stayed at many hotels this year with travel sports. This was one of my favorite. The staff was friendly, and the rooms were clean. The breakfast wasn't bad, and the girl working in there made every effort to make your meal enjoyable! I was pleasantly suprised how nice the hotel was.
The last time I stayed here, the Notel was Holiday INn Express. The rooms are spacious and have been remodeled HVAC has been updated. Room has a large refrigerator and microwave. Great touch. Breakfast was carried each day. Waffle and pancake machines!!
If you can see past people shooting up, smoking meth, partying till 2-3am and screwing in the hot tub, it's a decent hotel. Staff jotted down some notes when I told them what happened but acted like it was a completely normal occurrence there. I doubt they even clean out the hot tub.
The Yuba City is a great location with easy access to many local eateries. It is very clean and well looked after with the staff very helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean and large with good facilities in house.
Good place. Clean, good shower, comfortable bed nice staff. Didn't have the breakfast so I can't judge how it was. Pool looked very nice though I didn't have a chance to get in it. Would recommend to anyone
We decided to give this place a try due to the moderate price. We have not been sorry! We usually stay at the Hampton next door but we have spent so much time in Hotels we thought we would save a little $$$ by staying here. Great place to stay moderately priced for a good clean comfortable room. The front desk staff has been great and Robin was very helpful for being brand new. He hand carried some extra towels to my room instead of making me go to the front desk. Thank you Robin!! Overall if you are looking to save a little $$ but looking for a great place to stay look no further you have found your place in Yuba City. If you've found this review helpful please let me know!
I stayed here on a business trip and the hotel proved to be sufficient for that purpose. There are some restaurants and stores close to the hotel. Overall, the rooms and facilities were clean but you can tell that it is a busy hotel. The breakfast room is small and became very crowded. Additionally, the parking lot fills up at night as well. The staff was accommodating. This is probably the best choice for an affordable hotel in the area.
In town for my high school reunion and stayed here. I made this choice mainly because of their no pet policy. But once I was there I was pleasantly surprised further that the front desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the room was clean and quiet, and the breakfast was quite good, with lots of variety each day. I would highly recommend this location.
We stayed at Best Western Yuba City while visiting family. I chose the property based on price to comparable mid-range hotels. The rooms were clean and pretty up to date. Weak wattage light bulbs, though. Exterior doors. Breakfast was good but needed attendants...perhaps one of the three clerks at the front desk talking about their favorite television shows? Our only problem were noisy guests. First morning at 5:00 were construction crews leaving and yelling at each other across the parking lots. Second night were pilots (self described "gangsta pilots") leaving at 3:00 in the morning. Worse than the construction crews. Wish I knew the airline to complain. So, the hotel was okay but thin exterior walls and windows as well as bouncy ceiling made for little sleep.
The Yuba City Best Western is conveniently located just off of Hwy. 20 and is walking distance to a few restaurants. Check-in was a little long but a group came in ahead of me; the staff worked quickly and checked people in quickly. I had a warm, fresh chocolate chip cookie while I waited which helped. The room was comfortable and clean and a/c worked well.
Noisy construction worker hotel. I was not offered express check out, not offered my bonus points, the carpets were dirty, and the beds are uncomfortable. This was not my first stay here but it will be my last.
Great service! Very attentive. That is very huge for any hotel. To have friendly employees & being attentive even when busy. Really appreciate the young lady with the star on her cheek, taking care of the breakfast. She was hustling & moving to make sure place was clean as we ate. She was very friendly down to earth. Front desk person was friendly & acted very professional. Very clean hotel, amenties is everything you need. Simple but satisfying. Slept great here. Lots of place to eat in area. Movies are near it as well. Overall this best western is one of the best best westerns I've been to.
Checked in about 4pm, and the room was ready, neat & clean. Just a short walk is a Chilis restaurant, and a new Brewery restaurant, Looked nice. The morning breakfast was good, although not as big a selection as Hampton Inns, but plenty for everyone, and good. Pretty quiet at night. I would stay again, the price was pretty reasonable.
The room deciratuon is very attractive and well done. Very clean. I appreciated that it was surprisingly quiet for a Saturday night. Full hot breakfast...HUGE BONUS! The bed was extremely comfortable and the place is conveniently located and affordable.
We arrived late due to photographing a wedding and was checked in promptly. Room was spacious and comfortable. Bed was great and heater was quiet and worked excellent. Breakfast was wonderful and the young girl working kept everything filled and clean. The only issue was both our keys demagnetized while we were at breakfast, so getting back into our room was a challenge. We just got our walking in for the morning. The staff quickly redid our keys and we were able to get back in.
Tiffany was so nice to work with. The previous occupants of our room smoked in it (against policy) and she could not give us another room as it was sold out. She took care of us as best she could. Very nice person! The Inn is very conveniently located near restaurants and the tournament. It was clean and all the staff were very welcoming. The gal running the breakfast did an outstanding job keeping everything stocked with such a great attitude. It's tough to keep up with that many hungry kids and parents. Well done!
Nice staff, accommodating, warm free breakfast, the nice and super friendly person who prepares breakfast (Angie) keeps everything tidy, clean and fully stocked. I spend one week a month there for business and I've had a decent experience. The Hamptons next door costs twice as much but this place is compatible. I Was not able to connect to the internet, but I don't know if it was my phone or something was wrong with their internet.
I would highly recommend this place. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed and pillows were top notch. Nice pool. The people working there go above the call of duty to help with your needs. The continental breakfast good.
Some problems , like a plugged toilet right off the bat , along with non-existent internet - But the desk clerk apparently turned the internet on , and they had a plunger - No on setting for the heat fan - Basically a good night , despite initial misgivings - Hot tub , outside was out of order too ...
Nice, clean and well maintained hotel. The staff really shines here, from the front desk to the housekeeping staff, everyone is friendly and helpful. Yummy breakfast with great selections that change daily.
It was cold out, so employees wore jackets and didn't see names. However I spoke with 2nd shift person (Brian?) at length about how area had grown, and nite auditor who checked us out at 4:30 am and was very helpful in giving me our receipt. The breakfast lady was very patient and was always there to replenish breakfast items and keep area clean. There was plenty of breakfast items to choose from. Beds and pillows very comfortable.
I like to stay here when I visit relatives. They have very clean, handsome rooms but for some reason at night I always hear the hum of a motor outside the room. I love and use the refrigerator, Very nice beds. Good breakfasts (waffles!)....but after January first they will no longer allow pets so I will have to find other accommodations.
Very comfortable, large room, comfortable bed, quiet. Ice machine was pretty far away from our room. Nice pool and jacuzzi. Decor was nice and not beat up like a lot of places. Breakfast pretty good. Different hot items every day. Very clean and a service person was there to help.
I would have given excellent, but internet connection extremely reliable and was extremely frustrating during my stay, for I needed to be on line to do work. Front desk helped as much as they could, but appears to be equipment issue.
I usually stay at another comparable hotel while in Yuba Citybut they were full in October 2017. So that was the first time I stayed here and liked it better. So I'll be returning in the future. An onscreen TV guide would be nice
Hotel was comfortable, clean and we were satisfied with our stay. As with hotels with outside door access people coming and going can be a bit noisy (inconsiderate) but not the hotel's fault. We would definitely stay there again.
Stayed here on two weekends in November. The location is great with restaurants within walking distance. The staff is wonderful, remembered us and extended a great rate to my brother who made his reservation at the last minute. The breakfast is good with many choices from hot eggs and waffles to cereal and yogurt. The beds are comfortable and the rooms were very clean and have a microwave and fridge, which I appreciate.
thin door with a lot of outside noise. nice people working there and close restaurants. crowded parking lot and very difficult to go north from this hotel. A lot of smokers in the common hall near other rooms
Amazing Staff. Pregnant Rosa went above and beyond for us. We were in California for my 95 year old Aunts funeral and my 87 year old mother became very ill from the stress. We had to have a 2nd room clean and bed change 1 of the days we were there; Pregnant Rosa was so nice and friendly, with out any complaining about the situation
The front desk staff were friendly and efficient. The room was pretty clean, but the carpet was badly stained so it made it look dirty. The biggest complaint I have was, because the rooms all have an outside entrance, the cement hall carried noise to extreme. Housekeeping woke me at 5:30am the first morning and, after mentioning it to the front desk, waited until 6:30 the next morning! I understand that happens with other guests making noise, but not the hotel staff. The bed was very comfortable and the bed linens very nice.
The Staff were friendly and professional, quick and easy check in, clean room, easy parking, comfortable bed, quiet room overall a positive experience, will stay there again. Internet access was smooth , no complaints at all
I recommend this BW for the friendly and helpful staff, the clean liness of the room and the breakfast items. I would stay there again.. We left our iPhone 6 charge cords in the room. I called when I got home and talked with Tiffany. She said she would check and see if they were recovered from the room. She called the next day and they were found!! They will be shipped to me. I am happy!!
When we had to evacuate, we went to a different hotel the first night because this one was booked. As soon as we could, we switched, and boy were we glad we did! Thankful for the great service and clean rooms!
i stayed at this hotel for 4 nights while working in Yuba City. I was very impressed. The hotel was in an area affected by NoCa fires. Many hotel occupants were evacuees - families, animals, etc. Hotel staff appeared to be very respectful and supportive of those guests. It appeared that the majority of the guests were evacuees. Nonetheless, there was excellent housekeeping service, breakfast, service. I commend the staff and management of the hotel for a job well done!
The hotel itself is about average. Rooms are clean. Not real fancy if you're looking for fancy. Don't expect the hotel staff to care or do anything to make your stay a good one. The first set of keys didn't work at all. Then I had to go to the lobby every time I needed to get into my room because the keys worked once, and never again. Breakfast isn't fancy, but well presented.
When traveling to Yuba City, your choices for top tier hotels is limited to say the least - mid tier hotels and below are the norm. If you can't stay at the top rated Yuba City hotel, this Best Western is your next best option. It's good, but not great...the quality for just about every measure is just not up to "great." Linens, beds, fitness equipment, lack of USB charging outlets in the rooms, padding on ironing board, toiletries, etc.... Lighting in breakfast area is dim - not a bright happy area. Internet in room at far rear of hotel was marginal. Toilet initially flushed poorly, got progressively worse and backed and flooded late at night. To hotels staff's credit, it was fixed the same day it was reported (in the morning). Your stay here will be good - just not great based on staying here at least once a year for the past 3 years.
Very comfortable stay, clean, great amenities, staff very polite and efficient, offer accommodations for pets, easy access to motel from freeway, and great senior/AAA discounts. Overall a very pleasant stay.
The staff went out of their way to find us a room. Even when the hotel was sold out. Just when the phone rang and Roquel ran out and told us they had an opening. So thankful. I would always recommend.
This was a very nice motel for the price. It was clean, and quiet. The staff was very helpful and it was a pleasant stay overall. When I first checked in I was assigned a room with a non-functioning air conditioner. The check-in staff quickly assigned me another room without hesitation. They were very helpful.
The staff here is so friendly and helpful! very clean rooms and pool area and grounds kept up very well! Good selection in breakfast area, with a very nice hostess, we will be back for sure, Thank you for a great stay!
The value of the best western yuba city is decent but with no wifi connectivity in my room, I couldn't do any work. The elliptical machine and treadmills are in dangerously poor condition and I was thrown off the treadmill twice. Eggs at breakfast are gross. Stay at the Hampton if you're in Yuba city. Even the econolodge is better!
I had an extremely difficult trip to make, and Brian at the front desk was so good to me. I had some car problems and he came out to my car to help me. At another point, I broke down crying, and he listened to me and was so comforting. He did everything possible to make my stay as good as it could be. He is a gem and I will always remember how he helped me.
Went to a concert in Wheatland and stayed at this hotel. The location is s little out of the way but the quality made the extra miles so worth it. Been coming here for years, every concert I'm interested in, and always stay here. Friendly, helpful people. Good food and the cost is comparable.
Stayed here for a concert at the Toyota amphitheater in wheatland. We really enjoyed this little motel. The staff was phenomenal, and the rooms were very clean. The lobby area had complimentary fresh baked cookies and hot coffee with flavored creamers. There were also snacks available for purchase. Breakfast was decent- eggs, sausage, potatoes, bagels, yogurts, etc. The pool was packed while we were there, so we were never able to use it. The hotel is also close to several restaurants- some within walking distance, others are probably better to drive to. Beds were comfy, linens clean, carpets vacuumed. Would definitely recommend for the price
The hotel was great... very friendly staff and super helpful. I had an issue with my booking through a 3rd party company called Cancelon (booked through Trip Advisor). The company never paid the hotel and I ended up having to pay again while there. (Still working on the refund from Cancelon/Trip Advisor). The situation with this 3rd party company was and is very frustrating but the hotel staff has been so patient and helpful - both while I was on site and in the phone calls we have had since my stay. The room was clean and great simple room for a quick overnight while visiting for a concert. The venue was about 12 miles from hotel. Breakfast room is pretty tight in the morning for the continental breakfast but it could have just been due to the busy weekend. It was a friendly, clean place to stay and an affordable hotel.
I will definitely stay at this hotel again! I made initial reservations with Tiffanie and she was very professional and friendly! I was happy to have meet her in person. She is a very nice person! Though it was very late at night, the front desk staff was very friendly and welcoming upon arrival. Check in and check out was easy! Breakfast was awesome each morning. Room was clean and the cleaners were also pleasant.
I enjoyed the stay at the best western. I have family in the area and came to visit. I have a cat as well I couldn't leave at home, it was helpful that I could bring her. Bed was pretty comfortable, housekeeping kept up the room well. My only complaints are that since I was in a pet room, it did have a little odor, probably from other pets. I don't was in building 3, and the wi fi NEVER worked at all! It was too slow it couldn't get past loading anything that definitely needs to be upgraded.
The hotel is clean. However, the carpets were stained and the pool was not very clean. The maid service was excellent and the service at the breakfast area was, excellent. The food was average at best. Based on my experience the hotel was over priced. Unfortunately, Yuba City does not have many good hotels.
We were able to check in early so that we could enjoy the pool before our concert, everyone was so friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and accommodating. The pool was very clean and didn't have the chlorine smell that most pools get. I was impressed by how friendly everyone was and how clean everything was.
snails pace internet and lumpy beds. Don't count on being able to conduct any computer work while there.... it will just continue to time out their internet is so slow. The mattresses need replaced badly. Other than that...friendly staff and great location
I recently stayed one night at the hotel working with ECORP Consulting in the area. It was clean in the hotel and easy to check in and out. I thought the breakfast was very good and the staff was friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and included a desk with plenty of outlets for electronics since I was working I needed to plug in my computer and two phones. There was also a mini-fridge and microwave as well. The only real issue I had was the shower rod needed to be adjusted and I let the management know when I checked out. I definitely would return again when working in the area.
Greeted Freindly&Warmly by Charming Tiffianie! Room was very clean, large and comfortable. Enjoyed Clean and cared for pool, hot tub, & exercise rm. Angie was a Great Hard Working efficient Breakfast Hostess. WE left well rested, and fed and terrific find. Will stay here again & Recommend!!
Easy location to find quiet clean rooms. Fast wi if. Limited tv channels. Beautiful pool but staff makes the difference. Helpful and professional knowledgeable about area. Predictable breakfast but fresh clean Great coffee. Thanjs
This BW is more than adequate for a few nights stay. Comfortable, clean, and accommodating, overall a good experience. The price is in the middle of the pack. Plenty of restaurants near by. Try the Dancing Tomato for a good meal with a quiet ambiance.
This motel had many BESTS. Best staff, Best breakfast, Best landscape, best care and more. I highly recommend this motel. The breakfast was above and beyond other breakfasts I've had and I'm on the road a lot. VERY GOOD!
The Best Western Yuba City has been a great place to stay. It's quiet and the staff is very helpful. Great restaurants to eat at and convenient shopping. I would definitely recommend Best Western Yuba City.
Nice staff and a few decent restaurants in the ares. Other than that, a true un-maintained motel. The type of motel usually found close to an interstate where volume of traffic compensates for the very low quality of the product. Dirty rooms, worn sheets, stained carpet, etc. This property is typical of an owner taking profit and not reinvesting. If staying in Yuba use the Hampton Inn if available. If not, make the drive from Roseville and stay at a Marriott property.
We were originally going to stay just one night, but we were so pleased with the service and value, that we stayed 3 nights. The room was nice and clean, the breakfast was satisfying. I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again if ever in the area. The price and our stay was perfect
Stayed here 1 night for son's baseball tournament in Yuba City. The outside of the hotel is nothing to write home about, but the rooms themselves are very nice - well decorated, spacious, look very new. And the staff was wonderful. Would stay here again and recommend to others.
If you are staying in the Yuba City/Marysville area you should definitely stay here. Great price, outstanding staff and nice rooms. Breakfast was great, pool is good, for the price this is the. Eat place in town. Hampton is an option, but considerably higher in price. We stayed for $100 with a military discount and even got a $20 gift card for our next visit.
This particular property doesn't have much curb appeal, as it looks like a small-ish motel and sits just off Hwy 99. BUT...we were pleasantly surprised at our accommodations, and the size of the property! Clean, nice room. Comfortable beds, good shower, and the air conditioner wasn't one of the noisy units that keep you awake through the night. We were extremely pleased with our stay. There are a few restaurants within close proximity as well. We will stay again as we travel through Yuba City.
We were unexpectedly evacuated from our home due to a major fire, and the staff was very accommodating, and sympathetic to our plight. We slept for the first time in two days, and enjoyed the comfort and ambiance of this hotel, all things considered.
Everything was good except for the occasional loud neighbors. The air conditioner had a hard time keeping the room at a constant temperature. The bed was comfy for a non memory foam bed, the shower pressure was good.
Great place to stay when you don't want to pay the higher rates the hotels have when you are closer to Sacramento. Friendly staff, clean rooms and great price!! No complaints from us! We did not eat breakfast or use any of the other listed amenities, but am very satisfied with the great staff!
Our travel party included two adults and two children. After a long two-day journey from Colorado, the Yuba City Best Western was the perfect layover on a hot summer day. The entire staff, reception and kitchen, was courteous and helpful. Our room was in a quiet location. The room was clean and the two beds were comfortable. The pool was most enjoyable in the big valley heat. We enjoyed a nice breakfast with a variety of food items. We certainly recommend the Yuba City BW to all travelers through the Sacramento Valley. The hotel has immediate and easy access off Highway 99, which is midway between Sacramento and Chico.
The bathroom exhuast fan was loud and came on with the light with a motion sensor. The sound from outside of the room and adjoining rooms was louder than other places I have stayed. The person taking care of the breakfast was a hustler keeping things stocked and very clean.
Clean room good conditions with decent beds for the $. Unfortunately you can experience unsavory guests when trying to be careful with your money. But it's not the fault of the motel. Good location. Good amenities with wonderfully helpful staff.
Avoid this place if you need reliable internet connection. The internet service was so bad I had to go to another location to connect to the internet and get my work done. Unacceptable internet service.
Why waste water? Hotels are notorious for it, with overwashing linens, etc, but why add to that by washing off mildly dirty sidewalks with a hose?!?!? I've used a power washer when I had to, but when all it needs is a sweeping (and that's all I saw a need for when I looked around), using a hose so you can relax and let the water pressure do that for you doesn't make sense. He was at it for nearly 2 hours--that's a lot of water. In a region embroiled in water propaganda wars, I continue to be amazed to see such a precious resource treated as if it's unlimited. "Is growing food wasting water?" many roadsigns ask. Sometimes. Is washing sidewalks with a hose for hours wasting water? Almost always. At least the staff is nice and friendly, if unaware of the role we play in taking care of our precious planet.
The Room was clean and comfortable, the pillows were wonderful. I slept well. The staff was friendly and helpful. The area was quiet and peaceful. They serve a very good selection of breakfast food for their continental breakfast. The service was very good.
This was a very convenient stay close to high school graduation. Got flowers and card at Raley next door. Winco for some snack and wonderful clean pool. Relaxed at pool with friends. The rooms are very nice with perfectly stated decor and BED:) The staff are very nice and helpful. Will stay here again when visiting Yuba City.
Our room was ready upon arrival. I was asked if I wanted a ground floor or upstairs unit; because I can have some difficulty with stairs, I requested a ground floor unit. We were given a room in the rear building, near the end - it was amazingly quiet! Didn't hear anything, TV, water running, conversation, etc, from the upstairs room or other neighbors. The room was spacious, nicely decorated (the new neutral - gray), and clean. The bed was comfortable, with plenty of pillows. A/C worked. Parking is adequate. Staff was cordial. Small fridge in room. Hotel supplies shampoo/bath wash in dispenser in the shower. Also soap, lotion in dispenser at the sink. In room coffee (yuk), but it's there. Location was perfect for our needs - will be staying again later in the year!
Completely enjoyed our 4 day stay. Room was great. Clean and very comfortable. The front destination was helpful and friendly, but the best was the breakfast room attendent. She was friendly, efficency and always smiling. Breakfast was better than most places with nice variety. We will be back!
Only spent one night, room was comfortable and clean, but I didn't like the hot breakfast offering, only biscuits and gravy. Ugh. Fortunately, there was IHOP just down the street. Otherwise a pleasant stay
We were in town for a friends daughters wedding. We arrived at 2pm and the room was all ready for us. A quick change and off to the Wedding! Our late night return found a close parking spot and a quiet nights sleep. Upon waking up we were able to enjoy the included breakfast of waffles, eggs, bacon and hot coffee along with juices! Then a quick check out!
I prefer staying here because it is conveniently located right off of 99, offers complimentary breakfast, and provides ample bath amenities in dispensers (so that's a few less things I have to pack!).
We called the desk one afternoon to check on availability. Yes, rooms were available, yes there's a pool and hot tub. Great!! Room was excellent. Back of the property is very quiet..no street noise. Pool was not heated. Hot tub jets BARELY functioned. It was more like being in a hot bathtub. Very disappointed, and we let the manager know the next morning.
Prices are very reasonable. If you are a AAA member or veteran or senior ask for the discount. Very easy to get to. Our room was upstairs right next to the linen room, which means we only had a room on one side! That makes for a quiet room. Yuba City can be a little stuffy, so we had the room A/C on all night. Room is quite large with a king bed. TV of course, fridge in the wall cabinet. Nice sitting area. Convient to get into town for dinner. Now for the bad (which is why only 4 stars). Typical Best Western breakfast. French toast was cold and we were there early. Sausage paddies were quite greasy. Coffee was ok. They do have a waffle maker if you want to chance it on your own. This breakfast was about a blah as every B.W. I've ever stayed in. But I didnt stay here for the food and I knew what to expect. Office staff? 5-6 stars. When I made my reservation, I mentioned the AAA discount. They gave it to me...all I had to do was show my AAA card when I checked in. Guess what? I lost my card (new ones were in the mail when I got home later!). No card, no discount right? Nope. They took my word for it. I was way early to check in (something like 1PM-check in time is 3PM). I was taking a gamble that the room would be ready since I had things to do that wouldnt allow me to return until after 8PM. My room was ready and they checked me in early. Great group of folks here. Overall, if I ever have to stay in Yuba City again, I will go stay here.
I have been a Rewards Club member for many years and stayed at many BW locations. This stay was a disappointment due to a missed wake-up call as requested to the front desk and a slowly draining tub while showering. Standing in an inch and a half water level is unacceptable. The room amenities (Microwave, small refrigerator, comfortable bed, in-room refreshments, and good lighting were positive assets.
The hotel doesn't look like much from the outside, but the lobby and my room were recently updated. The staff was very friendly on check-in. I got to my room and it just smelled off, I can't say exactly how, but I just knew I'd wake up in a bad mood if I had to work all evening there and then sleep there as well. So I called the front desk and they quickly changed my room, then brought the keys to my new room and carried my bag to it. All with a smile and without any push-back. Both the room I was first assigned and the second room were newly updated. Also, the windows work. I wouldn't sleep with them open because it's onto a walk-way anyone can access, but while I sat in the room working in the evening it was nice to have it open. And, it's very quiet. I was in building 3 on the second floor and couldn't hear any highway noise or really much of anything else.
Pleasant staff, comfortable bed, clean room, but breakfast was on the cold side. Only bad thing is that it is right on highway 99. Guess that could be a good thing too if you're traveling on Highway 99.
Excellent night's sleep at this Best Western location. The room was great, clean, well furnished. The complimentary breakfast was very good, although the coffee was so weak it may have well been water, and more vegan (fruit, oatmeal, peanut butter) choices would have been welcome. The cost was kind of high for the area too. But I would stay here again, for sure.
We chose to stay at this Best Western because of traveling with our dog. We stayed for 3 nights and were happy with the choice to stay here. The staff were all nice and welcoming and the rooms were clean and comfortable. We would stay again if we are ever in the Yuba City area again.
The hotel bathroom drain plug was loose and had to be screwed back in. But if that's the only criticism I have, it's a great day. The staff was polite and the room was clean. The internet seemed speedy, though we didn't try streaming anything (which is common nowadays). The biggest turnoff with other hotels is that they make you pay more for faster internet. If that's the case with this Best Western, I didn't notice it. Each guest is a star, and that's the way it should be.
Excellent experience, comfortable, clean, staff were friendly, and professional. A small glitch with door was handled immediately, and very professionally! Will definitely stay again, and would recommend highly!
The staff was friendly and went out of their way to ensure our needs were met and solve any problem that arose. The location was perfect and the breakfast was filling. Would definitely stay there again and would recommend staying there to others.
This place is very easy to find. Located right off the main cross of the 2 major highways. Very quiet, got a really solid night's sleep. The staff was knowledgable and friendly, and the hotel had nice amenities, including a small fitness room. I would recommend this hotel highly.
I had to stay close by my dad's residence after he passed. Due to this being the case I had bags of garbage from all the paperwork and some other things I had to sort through. The staff and manager were very sympathetic to my situation and very accommodating in my need to throw trash. They had their maintenance pick it up for me so I didn't have to haul it off elsewhere. The rooms were very clean, quiet and comfortable, good breakfast, and exceptionally friendly staff and manager to all I witnessed. I would highly recommend staying here.
Free Breakfast, noisy, concert in town and the hotel was full. Very noisy no soundproofing . I would not stay there again. Small room, bed was okay. Breakfast was bagels, english muffins, eggs, sausage, and juice, waffles and such. At least we didn't have to eat at another restaurant.
We were in town to visit family & our regular spot was booked. I booked this place as our "2nd choice" hotel. When we arrived, there was a large wedding party checking in and I thought we'd have to wait forever. But, not so! They took care of the wedding party in one line and a 2nd clerk came up to help the regular guests. Great customer service! We requested a quiet room and received such! The room was nice, clean and quiet. Everything worked great. The fridge even had a freezer door! We really have no complaints about this location. Slept peacefully, comfortably. It's a little farther out from our family's home, but it gave us the opportunity to discover more of Yuba City! All in all, I would recommend this hotel!
The hotel an staff were fine. Everything went the way it's supposed to. My only real issue with this place is the cleanliness. Don't get me wrong, it's not a trashed-out dump like some would have you believe, but it needs more than a quick vacuuming. The carpet and chairs in our room (2105) are in serious need of a thorough deep-cleaning or replacement. All the years of guys that work for a living staying here have taken a toll on the place.
I didn't actually stay at this BW location because they were sold out. I had been to two other lodging locations and they were also sold out. So at 1 a.m. in the morning Ramona who was working the front desk called an neighboring establishment and obtained a reservation for me. Ramona's 'can-do' attitude was refreshing to behold. I wish that my employees displayed this same characteristic. BW Yuba City Inn management should be proud to have a dedicated employee like Ramona on your staff. Rick Faeth Petaluma Speedway
This hotel houses a lot of construction workers and the floors are filthy and have grease all over them. The fire alarms went off about five times at 7am, no one from the front desk would answer the front desk phone or come around to tell us what was happening... I was disappointed by this hotel. But, we found a gem; go eat at the Ranch House!
Large rooms, large tv, fridge, microwave, comfortable beds, lots of parking for our truck/motorcycle trailer. Good breakfast. Internet was good. Quiet night for a good sleep. Close to shopping & restaurants. Could have got a better price if booked on line.
Nice, clean with a responsive staff Traffic patterns to and from the hotel were a bit difficult. Just wish this hotel, like most others had lights to read by. Low wattage and poor placement is the norm. Plus the note about guests being able or wanting to purchase towels is tacky.
staff is great at their jobs, rooms are very clean and well decorated. Property is well lit in a good location near food with plenty of parking. I would recommend to anyone staying in Yuba City, CA for business or pleasure.
Super easy access on and off of Highway 99. Clean and pleasant appearance of the lobby when entering and the front desk folks were very nice and accommodating. Room was clean and everything worked and the pool was clean and well kept. Breakfast was good. Close to shopping and restaurants.
I left a sandal on the floor in our room. The manager called me within hours and sent it to me the next day. Incredible thoughtfulness. Hotel was very, very nice with a large breakfast room and plenty of choices. I would highly recommend this Best Western.
This was a last minute stay and we stayed at this BW based on reviews - so please that we did. We had a late arrival and made sure we called ahead to let them know. When we called in they were so nice, reassuring us our room would be available when we showed up late even though the hotel was sold out. When we arrived we noticed how nice the wait room was! Check in staff was so kind and even offered if we needed a later check out to just let them know. The entrance was very clean and they even had a variety of snacks to purchase which we did since we came in so late. Lots of parking which was a pleasant surprise and when we got to the room it was spacious and again so clean. The room was fully stocked with all ammeneties and the beds were very comfortable. So please again how clean the room was! In the morning we enjoyed the breakfast that was included and Tara who was working the breakfast was incredible. She went out of her way to say good morning to guests and help them with anything they needed. The food was nice a variety of hot and cold foods - plenty to eat! Again such a nice, clean atmosphere. All the staff from inside to outside had pride in their jobs and it showed. They are friendly saying hello and greeting you as you walk past. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely stay at this BW!
The hotel itself is quite nice. Rooms are good. Breakfast is good. Staff is competent. I would rate the hotel itself a 4.5 That said, The construction next door at 6am just ruined it. Hotel management needs to be out there with a watch and not let them start before they are allowed. ( I was told 7am).
This place is nice, a bit noisy at times, the walls are not really very well insulated. Breakfast was good, the owner greetyed people, was a nice person. Help was friendly and good at their jobs. I will stay here again. Many good places to eat in the area.
This is a solid option for budget conscious travelers. Close to the freeway and restaurants. Free internet, complimentary breakfast, and clean rooms. This is the first location I've been to that offers their in-room amenities (pillows, towels, sheets, etc.) for sale.
Very clean room, super clean pool, very friendly young man at check-in, breakfast not so wonderful. There was a cheesy egg type (I think) thing smeared on some kind of bread. Tasted ok but never could identify it.
The property was clean, room was nice enough. All front desk staff that we dealt with were very helpful. Except the manager, Sunil. He was unwilling to extend the group rate for the parents of our Little League team who needed to stay additional days to accommodate the team's schedule. Very unfriendly and appeared to only care about money. Further, we will not stay here in the future because there are so few channels available on TV.
Been coming to this great motel multiple times for over two years. Wouldn't stay anywhere else. Very attentive staff, nice breakfast, the rooms are always ready for you. The staff remember you and go out of their way to accommodate your requests. The location is convenient to everything in Yuba City and Marysville. The rooms are quiet, even taking the ground level which I always do. Parking in front of your room is also a nicety. The wi-fi is very dependable and relatively fast.
During our trip we stayed at 10 different hotels, all pre-booked through the same agency and most Best Westerns. All except here were able to immediately bring up our reservation. The receptionist here initially said there was no reservation, and then on further searching on the system, found one, but said that it was for a disabled room - which it wasn't. There was then a further delay in attempting to find us a ground floor room which we said that we preferred. The room eventually allocated was good, clean and comfortable, but annoyingly there was an automatic light in the bathroom area, which meant that the main light in there switched on when either of us paid a visit during the night. Breakfast was uninspiring, with little choice and unexceptional quality compared with other Best Western's complimentary breakfasts. Had a good evening meal in Sizzler restaurant in walking distance. Fine for an overnight stop, and we were probably unlucky with our receptionist, the other seemed much more efficient.
Our experience was very short but the front desk guy, Jacob, was so helpful. I cannot tell you how much I appreciated the extra mile he went to help us on my daughters 2016 graduation tour around California.
We were not informed of time for breakfast upon check-in. We arrived 10 minutes after breakfast time and were not allowed to get anything to eat. Would have been nice if staff offered a piece of fruit, pre-packaged pastry or toast when informed we weren't notified of breakfast time. We then had to pay additional for breakfast in a restaurant. One of the reasons I selected this hotel was because breakfast was included in the price of the room.
The swimming pool and staff where great. I would recommend staying at this Hotel. I stood at this hotel last year. It gets better each year. The weather was great for swimming and the pool was cleaned every morning.
I'm on a race car team. We race in Placerville, CA almost every weekend. The Best Western in Placerville is terrible. We drive an hour and a half to stay at the Best Western in Yuba City. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are a lot nicer, newer, and cleaner. The breakfast is much fresher and has a lot more taste.
Very nice hotel very clean, and very comfortable a very good deal. Good location walking distance to restaurants and stores. swimming pool was very clean and enjoyable. Break was good waffles, mini omelette, and etc.
Looking for a pet friendly room online we found BW Yuba City. Thought $20 per night pet premium was high, but willing to pay since it was BW. Was not told when reservation made that base rate for room was subject to weekend increase of more than 50%. Found room very clean, but carpet badly stained and large bug in guest directory in desk. Only area for walking dog had a lot of dog poop which didn't appear to have been picked up in weeks. Vending and ice machines had been removed from our building requiring search to find them. Overall this property was not what we expect when staying at BW. Have been loyalty card holders for years.
The staff was always AWESOME!, always asking how we were doing, genuine and kind. They went above and beyond. The room was wonderful! CLEAN! I confirmed all bedding, including blankets are washed between guests, pillows were clean under the cases. The bathroom was excellently clean. Our son lives nearby and when we visit again, we will stay at that hotel again and will refer any family to it, traveling that way. The breakfast is part of the cost, and it was a good variety of things. The only thing I would have hoped for was that the beds were pillow tops. The mattresses are a bit firm for my personal preference. I recommend this Best Western. It is an excellent place to stay! Thank you, Best Western!
I've stayed here twice, both times on my own, and I've always felt safe staying here. The rooms are neatly kept and the bed is comfortable, and the breakfast is really good, with a wide variety of food to choose from.
We went to Yuba City to attend a bat research outing at Sutter Buttes sponsored by the Middle Mountain Association. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Many choices for breakfast to satisfy almost any taste.
Recently had to go to Yuba City for a friends wedding and booked a room here. The price was mid-range, but the place was nicer than I had anticipated. The had recently remodeled the entire hotel, so the rooms were clean and fresh. The morning continental breakfast was a bit more than the standard stuff, with hot waffles, sausage, eggs, and pizza muffins. The pool and hot tub area were large and clean, but the pool was not heated. The work out room was a bit under equipped, but it was a large clean space with several machines. Overall a good value for the cost.
The room was very clean (no odors!), and modern with very comfy beds and pillows. Exceptionally quiet too. The continental breakfast had a variety of healthy options ... no junk food. The location is convenient and it feels very safe. The front lobby is very welcoming with newspapers and refreshments. And the staff is polite, friendly, and helpful.
Insect problem (cockroaches). Cleanliness problem. Would not recommend this property. No feedback from management when problem reported to front desk. Staff friendly but non responsive to my situation.
If you have any reason to visit Yuba City, this is the place to stay. The Hotel is clean and well-maintained. The staff is well-trained and friendly. Lasty, the breakfast bar was the best I've had at a Best Western and the attendant kept it stocked the whole time so there was no waiting. They even had Almond milk for my cereal and fresh muffins.
Granted, we did not have a reservation, but I expected the front desk lady to be nicer about it! We have been a long-time member of Best Western, so this is the first place we tried. She recommended a place halfway across town with "great rates". I am not interested in driving even more (just got in from Vegas, driving!), just to save a couple of dollars. And the rates were so low, I didn't have faith in the quality...which lead me to thinking "is that how you think of your hotel??"..We stayed at the Hampton Inn (that we could see from the lobby) and had one of the most pleasant stays ever!! Well rested enough to visit family the next morning.
I am always well pleased when I visit family in Yuba Ciity and other locations as well. and stay at Best Western. For many years now my wife and I stay at a Best Western because it is our experience that we receive the best for the price. We have always been happy wherever we have gone.
Very clean, newer rooms. Beautiful rooms, nicer area in town. There's breakfast in the morning, lots of choices but no potatoes which I thought was odd. The eggs weren't great but the waffles were great. We will definitely stay here again next time we're in the area. Worth every penny! Also pool and hot tub were open.
The toilet in my room was soiled. I reported the problem but nothing was done to remedy the situation. Although all other aspects of my stay were satisfactory I was really set back by the lack of attention I received when I reported this problem. Given the quality usually expected at Best Western, I have to say I was very disappointed.
This was our first trip to Yuba City. We frequently stay at Best Westerns and we are seldom disappointed. We enjoyed our stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a good location with lots of amenities in the area. The bed was great.
The hotel was fine. Nothing amazing, but I wasn't expecting that. I did find it a little disconcerting that the exterior door didn't latch with confidence. I always had to lean hard against it for the door to catch and hold. Other than that, the only problem I had was that the room was quite dark. They had very dull lights inside the room and it was carpeted in dark carpet with dark furnishings. Just not well lit, which was just an annoyance, nothing earth-shattering. Breakfast was regular hotel fare (stay away from the fake eggs), but not a ton of options. Bed was comfy and the TV had plenty of channels. I did not make use of the pool or the fitness center, but they do have both available. Overall, it was fine since I was there just a few days for a trade show and wasn't in the room much. I wouldn't recommend for longer than that, however.
Nice hotel room with very good service. For the price, I believe the best option in Yuba City. The free breakfast was good; cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt, different types of toast, hard boiled eggs, an omelet like dish; coffee & tea.
We have stayed here before as we have friends living in the area a nd we find that this is the most convenient and best Motel while visiting them. also we like Sizzlers next door. The rooms were comfortable and clean
We stayed here on the 24th for one planned night only. As we inspected the room after entering it, we noticed both bed spreads had noticeable stains on them, and one had a noticeable tear in it. Really? How much does it cost to replace them and any others? So overall, the room felt unclean, plus the sheets weren't starched and were molded to the mattress top padding. Were they even changed from the previous guest? Probably not, unless they don't use some starching. We figured why change rooms, because another one would most likely be the same. Go to the other motel near by. Pay more and know it's being kept up.
When I reserved my room I went online but it went through a third party so I ended up with an accessible room, which I didn't want. I wanted the top floor but the room was quite comfortable although the bed squeaked every time I shifted my weight. That was annoying. There was an adjoining door also, which I also hate but managed. Overall, it was an outstanding stay.
A little out of the way but a great place to stay. Shopping, restaurants close by. I rated EXCELLENT on location because this hotel was very close to where I had to be. I would recommend staying here, if not for location, then for quietness and the ability to fall asleep when I needed to. The rates were good and the staff excellent!
Stayed for business and was pleasantly surprised. Room was clean and employees friendly. If you are a light sleeper, I suggest not staying in the 3rd building as there is a power plant or something behind the hotel. I loved my great big king bed with comfy bedding and pillows
Stayed at here for 4 nights to attend a wedding. We had a rough start because of confusion about our reservation, (somehow cancelled) but fortunately we were able get a room . This meant changing rooms 3 times but at least the staff worked hard to make it as easy as possible. Otherwise I have only good things to say Rooms are large , clean, and comfy. Beds and pillows excellent. Breakfast was typical for the most part. Same as Hampton's but for a much better price per night. I would not hesitate to stay again or recommend.
Poorly maintained hotel relative to other Best Western - licensed properties (e.g. Lone Pine, CA). Problems with fitness center and pool. Breakfast understaffed and undersupplied. Many feral cats roaming the property.
The beds here were great. The rooms are well appointed and modern, the staff is very friendly and helpful, one of the nicest places we have ever stayed at. The breakfast is typical, nothing great, but not too bad.
Staff was extremely polite very nice and friendly. The room was nice and within walking distance to Restaurants, shops, car dealers. Coffee in the room was Great, Good selection on Movie channel. The bed was comfortable and firm. Pillow was firm and okay. I prefer a softer pillow. The soap and lotion dispensers were refreshing. There is a pool but I did not use it. Breakfast is served - but I did not go in so I can not rate the selection. Coffee in room was a nice feature.
Bed was super comfortable and check-in was polite and efficient. Our room had a horrible nauseating smell that we thought was disinfectant. Tried to air it out by opening windows and doors for a couple hours but had to leave for a concert in Wheatland. Still terrible when we returned at midnight. When getting in bed there was some white larvae looking bug crawling on my nightstand. Looked like internet pics of bedbugs. Thought then maybe the smell was pesticide. Called down to get moved but person answering phone was either drunk or had severe speech impediment so we were completely unable to communicate at all. We didn't get up in time for breakfast - it ended at either 9 or 9:30 am which is kind of early for a Saturday weekend morning. There were people partying in the pool at midnight even though pool hours ended much earlier (like 10 pm or something). It was noisy since it was right across from our room. Since we couldn't communicate with the desk person we couldn't do anything about it.
Clean hotel, somewhat quiet, comfortable beds. Breakfast included- which is ok. Has pool and hot tub- but hot tub has been broken our past two or three stays. has dispenser in rooms for shampoo and hand soap- suggest you bring your own.
The room was great. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The breakfast was not so good. Some kind of an ommlet with a terrible tasting cheese in it . THAT NEEDS to be changed. There is a Sizzlers right next door. Although very $$$$. Again I have to say the bed and pillows were the best.
The hotel was horrible. It was 105 degrees and the a/c barely worked. The tap water stunk. They don't have soap but liquid soap that you have to squeeze about 90 times to get enough soap. The carpet was filthy with gross stains. The lighting was barely adequate. The room was dark as hell. Bald tatoo'd Gang bangers were checked into the hotel loudly playing their Mexican music. People were screaming in the night. People were banging into our wall in the tune of fornication. There was strong smell of wacky weed. The bed was hard as a rock. I don't think we slept at all. I finally said "The hell with it." We got dressed and left. The girl working the front desk was overwhelmed.
