Best Western Plus Chateau Inn Sylvan Lake

This is going to be the only place we stay in Sylvan Lake. The location and included parking is what will keep us coming. We started with a few questions prior to our stay. Emily was helpful during those calls - confirming our stay, guests, questions about parking/meals/pool etc. Check in was great. We arrived early, Emily told us we can store our things in the locked conference room, and park until check in. We explored town while they were preparing our room (which was done on time.) Kids loved the pool. & hot tub. You need to ask the front desk for towels, on your way to the pool. They do not have towels available at the pool. The bathroom for the pool is small - recommend changing in your room prior to heading to the pool. Breakfast was included - and the poorest experience of our stay. At check in, you are given paper vouchers to redeem at breakfast (7-10 am). There are pastries, yogurt, apples, eggs, hash browns, ham/sausage, and homemade waffles. They need a more efficient process to keep up with breakfast traffic. Waffle batter would run out, line to waffles were blocking the access to the food/drinks. House keeping - they cleaned our bathrooms daily, but did not refresh bedding. We asked the 2nd day at the front desk, and bedding was not done by the time we returned from the lake that evening. Check out - our check out was fine, however we were told we cannot use the pool after checkout at 11 am. I had to return later that afternoon to pick up an item I forgot in the room (which gratefully they emailed me about) and Emily was there, which was a positive note to our exit. My daughter even bought her a package of cookies from the Friday market across the road as a thank you for her service during our stay.

Room was cozy, beds were comfortable, staff was friendly, breakfast was tasty. Parking was tight. Had to park on the street one night but the front desk covered the fee. The only reason I didn't give a 10 is because the laundry room was not cleaned the entire week we were there. That room had left behind belongings, the trash can was full, and dryer lint trap full. Also, the batteries in the paper towel dispenser in the women's bathroom next to the pool died on the second day of my stay and weren't replaced by check out. Overall good and I would stay here again.

Great location if you're visiting Sylvan lake. The staff were brilliant, and the rooms are great.

As a **Best Western Diamond Rewards member**, I chose the Best Western Château Inn Sylvan Lake expecting that my loyalty might actually mean something. Instead, I left wondering whether the rewards program is simply a creative writing exercise. According to the Best Western Rewards program, Diamond members are eligible for **early check-in and/or late checkout, subject to availability.** That sounds straightforward enough. My husband politely requested a late checkout and was told **no**, because the hotel was supposedly **"sold out"** and there were **no rooms available**. Curious, I checked online. Several rooms were available. I then went to the front desk myself and simply asked whether there were any rooms available. Without hesitation, I was told there were **seven**. Seven. So I asked the obvious question: why had my husband just been told there were no rooms? The explanation wasn't that there had been a cancellation or that availability had changed. Instead, I was informed that **management does not allow late checkouts during the summer**, regardless of room availability. In other words, the property has decided not to offer the benefit. When I pointed out that Best Western advertises late checkout for Diamond members **subject to availability**, I was essentially told that their management policy overrides that. Thinking surely corporate would clarify things, I contacted Best Western Rewards customer service. Their response was truly remarkable. I was told that if hotel management decides they don't want to provide late checkout, they can simply declare it **"not available."** Apparently, in Best Western's vocabulary, **"subject to availability" doesn't actually mean rooms are available. It means management feels like it.** That's an impressive redefinition of the English language. Imagine if airlines adopted this philosophy: *"Priority boarding is available... unless we decide it isn't."* Or restaurants: *"Reservations are accepted... unless management doesn't feel like seating you."* The reward benefit isn't actually based on availability at all—it's based on whether a franchise chooses to honour it. Best Western Corporate appears perfectly comfortable advertising a benefit while allowing franchisees to ignore it whenever convenient. At that point I realized I wasn't staying at one hotel—I was staying at two. One was the Best Western Château Inn Sylvan Lake. The other was the fictional universe where corporate marketing materials still apply. Unfortunately, the experience only deteriorated from there. The lobby washroom—the only washroom available while using the pool and breakfast area—was frankly disgusting. There was pubic hair on the toilet, and the floor looked like it hadn't seen a mop in quite some time. Not exactly the level of cleanliness one expects from a national hotel brand. Breakfast was another adventure. The scrambled eggs were cold and nearly empty. Of the other two hot breakfast items, one tray was completely empty while the other was almost gone. When I politely asked whether the eggs would be refilled, I was told: **"There's still quite a bit there."** Apparently, we're now redefining "quite a bit" the same way we're redefining "availability." Next came the waffle station. There wasn't "low batter." There wasn't "almost out of batter." There was **no batter whatsoever.** I advised the front desk, who told me to speak with the dining room attendant—the same person who had already dismissed the empty breakfast situation. I suggested it might be more productive if the front desk communicated with their own staff rather than sending guests on an interdepartmental scavenger hunt. The front desk sent a housekeeper instead. The housekeeper walked over, relayed my comments, and the dining room attendant immediately marched over to confront me directly. As this unfolded, I looked over to see the front desk employee and the housekeeper laughing and giggling together. Nothing says "guest service" quite like being publicly confronted while staff members share a laugh at your expense. Breakfast eventually ended. The final tally? No waffle. Cold eggs. Barely any hot food. And a healthy serving of awkward workplace theatre. The breakfast should probably be advertised more accurately as: **"Complimentary Breakfast (while supplies last... and while staff still feel like refilling it)."** Ironically, by the end of our stay I realized we were probably fortunate not to receive the late checkout after all. The sooner we left, the better. This experience raises a much larger concern than one disappointing hotel stay. If Best Western Corporate allows individual franchisees to ignore advertised Elite Rewards benefits whenever they choose, then those benefits aren't benefits at all—they're optional suggestions. A loyalty program has value only if members can rely on it being honoured consistently across the brand. For fellow travellers—especially Diamond and other Elite Rewards members—understand that "subject to availability" may actually mean "subject to whatever management feels like today." That's an important distinction, and one Best Western's advertising should probably make much clearer. I expected Diamond recognition. Instead, I received a lesson in creative policy interpretation, questionable cleanliness, an empty breakfast buffet, and front-row seats to one of the more bizarre customer service experiences I've had in years. I suggest avoiding this property and if you do go, definitely don't assume that advertised Best Western Rewards benefits mean what they say.

well, I booked six rooms and when I booked the rooms, the web site said it was pet friendly Then I find out that it's not pet friendly and they don't honor that but it's on their website saying it is I asked to speak to a manager, no managers ever called me back to this I booked these rooms because I had lots of people coming for my 65th birthday party which I had all planned out Book the rooms way in advance Only to find out they're not gonna honor the pet friendly, but their website says pet friendly many places I think that's very unprofessional and very unfair And when I asked to speak to a manager, no one even calls me back or even cares to call back I've called there four times. I've got the runaround every single time. If they're not pet friendly, then take it off your website To this day, it still says it's pet friendly and many different websites I think they should honor what the website says they ruined my birthday and now I have to start all over again and find another place to stay for 10 people So I'm going to rent an Airbnb and I'm never going to give this hotel any business ever very unprofessional Thanks for ruining my birthday and not standing behind your policy. I'm sorry but I just tryed getting a room for the night but the girl that was working the desk was very suspicious and taking pics of my info on the screen and talking a notherv language I didn't know and being very suspicious about it so I videoed her and when I talked to her she denied it at first then she sead she was new but if you that new wouldn't you have a supervisor with you to watch you

The pool and hot tub are down for maintenance meaning they are cutting costs here. What's the point of a hotel with 3 kids if the pool doesn't work. That's the whole reason we stay at hotels that advertise pools. Also you cannot check in until 4pm or you have to pay extra. Then there is a huge line at 4pm that took 40 mins to get through. None of the rooms have coffee makers. Another cost cutting measure. The staff just don't care about any of these issues. Why would they, their management clearly doesn't. They should deeply discount their rooms in the off season if they can't even afford to operate the pool. The view and location are great if you get the right room. So if you come for that with no other expectations you'll enjoy. I care way too much about my money and experience to ever spend it here again.

I was recently an invited speaker at a 3.5-day conference hosted at the Best Western Chateau Inn in Sylvan Lake, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Zona (the owner) and her team created such a warm, welcoming environment for our group. The conference room was comfortable and well-prepared for full days of meetings, and my guest room was cozy, spotless, and restful after long days. Zona's hospitality and attention to detail made all the difference—she and her staff went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. I left feeling both refreshed and grateful. Highly recommend this hotel for conferences, events, or personal stays!

Not worth it for the price. 1.No shower gel and when I complained was told that the cleaners can't tell how much is there. Suggestion - use transparent bottles. 2. Say they are pet friendly - not. They charge you $40 per night extra and don't have a pet relief area. Other pet friendly hotels have given us a bag of treats etc. 3. No USB ports in the bedroom. 4. We were there for a wedding for which arrangements had been made. Checked in at 2:15 and were charged an extra $30 fee for 1 3/4 hours even though we told them we were there for the wedding and needed to get dressed. 5. Breakfast a disaster - one of the poorest I have ever seen. Old fashioned waffle maker where you have to measure out the mixture and twist and turn vs the new pancake ones where you just hit a button and request one or two. Ran out of the orange juice - I got, but none left for my husband 15 minutes later. Ran out of hash browns - same situation. No decaf coffee. Ran out of brown bread. And it was not even busy. Only meat was sausages. Couldn't find fresh fruit. Very much bare bones. 6. Pleasant staff and clean room with lots of towels. Liked the fridge and microwave.

Waterfront hotel looks good outside. Rooms need carpet changed or removed (smells awful), box spring changed or covers removed, air exchange constantly brings in all the smoke into the hallways and rooms from neighbors fire pits near by and especially forest fire smoke. This hotel removed all coffee pots and supplies from every room this past Spring, (not sure if Best Western International knows?) You are forced to carry steamy hot thin paper cups all the way to your room, up elevator and down the hallways. Paper cups burn your hands. Breakfast supplies kept up 1st morning, worker present all the time. 2nd morning no coffee, had to be told, did not check supplies, no bread, muffins, people walked away during that time frame, 20 minutes. Hotels are used for vacation, If you get up at 6 a.m. you should not be forced to go to the main floor for coffee, in PJ's etc. Won't be back to this hotel, needs lots of work, especially if you have allergies.

Modern hotel in an excellent location. Thry serve a very satisfying continental breakfast in the morning, and some amenitirs include a swimming pool and a small shop by thr lobby to purchase a few basic items and foods if needed. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The beds are a bit hard and it can be noisy at night, both from the outside (cars on Lakeshore drive, and the occasional nocturnal freight train passing on the tracks nearby) and inside (people entering and exiting rooms on the same floor, walking in the hallways, etc). In all, the best hotel in Sylvan Lake. We have been staying there for a number of years when we visit town, and we intend to continue doing so in the future.

Hard to believe that this hotel is a Best Western Plus, it has none of the things that the BW Plus brand has as a standard. The hotel is in a great location with close proximity to the lake/beach. That's where the positives end. When we checked in we were told that we needed to move our car into the street as the entire car park was being turned over to a motorcycle pig-roast the next day, and unless we wanted to have to move the car in the early hours of the morning we had best move it now! When we got to the room we found there was no coffee maker. I'm guessing that there used to be one as there was a counter space that was empty. The front desk confirmed that if you wanted a coffee or tea you had to come down to the lobby to get one. The carpet in our room had a damp patch on it that was only apparent if you were in socks or bare feet. I assume this was due to the room being one where dogs are allowed and some poor dog didn't make it outside in time. The breakfast staff were overwhelmed, and there was a distinct lack of food. This may be attributable to people from the pig-roast coming in for breakfast too. The area that they serve breakfast in is way too small for the size of hotel. As it turned out the pig-roast didn't need the whole car park and there were multiple cars still parked inside as the event got under way. The hotel decor felt dated and raked back to the 80's. Checkout was chaotic with one person on the front desk trying to deal with a customer query while the queue got bigger and bigger. Eventually she fetched the manager(?) out of her office, but she merely dealt with the query then disappeared again leaving the queue no shorter. This hotel could be the “go-to” hotel in Sylvan Lake but needs some investment to update it.

This hotel is ideally located across the street from the beaches. Very clean and well maintained rooms and swimming pool. Only downside was the chaos during the breakfast times. There are not enough tables accommodate all the hotel patrons. Ran out of most breakfast items by 9:15. Only the waffle machines were working which meant a very long time waiting for the waffle irons. All in all the staff did the best they could to keep things flowing!! No complaints regarding the staff what so ever.

Unfortunately we stayed at the hotel when they hosted a large number of youth lacrosse players. I think that some of the boys might have been staying in rooms by themselves. Unsupervised for sure. The running up and down the hallways continued until way after our bedtime. A late call to the front desk resulted in a response that they would” try”to look into it but it continued until late in the night. For the money, it wasn't much of a restful night. Young boys will be boys but hotel managers don't get a pass for doing nothing. We travel quite a bit but I don't think that we'll consider them again. I have communicated my issues to the Chateau Inn and Corporate Best Western.

Our stay was very nice, thanks to the hot tub being in good working condition. The room we had on the second floor was clean and comfortable, but furnishings and carpet were very outdated. Felt like we were back in the seventies, with the orangegy carpet and furnishings. Couldn't get an upgraded room for some reason as they said there was a conference, but it was obvious by the parking lot and people that was not true.

We stay in July and October. Nice location at one end of the beach and busy strip. Check in was fine with nice friendly staff. We were able to stay in two types of room. The back ones face the parking lot and town and the front facing the lake and a big building which might block some rooms view of the lake. We had a decent partial view in Room 311. The hotel is across the road and a short walk to the beach. Also, a pharmacy and liquor store across the street. Room had everything we needed, microwave, TV, wifi, fridge, coffeemaker, sitting chair wit footstool, work desk, tub/shower, adequate amenities, all good. Included breakfast, the usual, eggs, sausage, potatoes, breads, cereals, yogurt, waffles, coffee/tea, fruit. Almost the same every day but sometimes might to try cereal or porridge. One day there was a French toast casserole, not my favourite, it was sweet and offered no protein. On days like that, some boiled eggs would be a nice alternative. Overall, nice hotel, included parking on site, good location with nice staff, have stayed twice and would stay again.

We enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Plus Chateau Inn at Sylvan Lake, Alberta. The hotel staff were all very friendly and welcoming. It was so very nice to enjoy this beautiful town during the off season without all the crowds that they normally have during the summer months!

Great location just across the road from the lake and next to the main road of bars and restaurants. Spacious room, comfy beds and pillows. Solid breakfast options. Only slight comment would be that the main plug sockets were on the wall opposite the beds as opposed to next to the bedside tables.

Excellent Location to beach, shops and Amenities. Good breakfast, with lots of available food choices. Nice, comfortable firm (but not hard), bed with good linens and pillows. Bring your plug-ins for charger as there was no direct USB charger in the room that I could see. My room faced the lake and was a lovely morning view.

The toilet paper and Kleenex were the worst. So thin and so rough. I think they need to upgrade the quality of these items in the rooms. The staff was great. The room was clean and beds comfy. As far as the room itself it was just okay. The HDMI cord was not hooked up on the TV that was clearly very old. And no way to hook cord up as TV was mounted on the wall. But overall it was a good stay.

Filthy conditions in the hot tub and pool. Maintenance needed to the extreme. Rude Staff when asked to address unsanitary conditions. Unpleasant all around. Do not book here. Save your money and book anywhere else. Read Google reviews for more info.

Ask Zona and Kevin about the hot tub and filth. Be careful they will call the police on you for lodging a complaint. Also as why the handrails are loose. They say it's at your own risk. Enjoy your stay. They will call your room to harass you endlessly.

Extremely filthy. Garbage management. Rude, unhelpful. Have no consideration for their staff or customers. Manager Zona is not a good manager. This is not the beat place to stay in sylvan I would recommend choosing another venue. Literal cesspool and hot tub where you might get the plague

Our stay at this property began at 4pm Sunday July 21, 2024. And rapidly deteriorated due to the deplorable state of the hotel facilities and the subsequent disgraceful treatment we received from the staff. Prior to checking in, my son was eager to swim. To our horror, the hot tub was covered with a thick layer of grime, clearly composed of bacteria, shed skin, and other unsanitary substances. The pool was similarly filthy, with visible mold and sediment at the bottom, indicating a severe lack of proper water treatment and maintenance. Additionally, the pool stair railing was dangerously loose and wobbled violently. We booked this hotel specifically for these facilities offered, and we were disappointed at the unkempt state. I simply wanted to bring this to the managers attention, seeking an apology or assurance that these facilities would be cleaned and maintained appropriately. However, our encounter with the front desk staff member Kevin was deeply unsettling. Kevin, who appeared to be quite young, displayed an extremely poor attitude and seemed overwhelmed by the number of guests checking in. When I asked to speak to someone in charge, he repeatedly stated that he did not know when she would be available, which I found highly unprofessional. Later in the evening the manager Zona arrived and called my room asking if I wanted to come down and chat with her. I said yes and she hung up the phone on me. Upon meeting her, it was immediately clear that she was not interested in addressing our concerns. She was rude and defensive, dismissing the cleanliness issues by stating that it wasn't her problem given the high volume of guests. Regarding the dangerous pool railing, she shockingly claimed that guests use the pool "at their own risk." At this point my partner piped up - “you wouldn't be saying that when someone splits their head open and files a law suit” this enraged Zona. She asks if we want a refund. I said yes that would be ideal. She says okay- but but insisted that we leave the hotel immediately, despite it being 8 PM and all other hotels in the area being fully booked. We expressed our intention to stay and hoped for some acknowledgment of our dissatisfaction. Instead, Zona escalated the situation, threatening us with eviction and calling the police. From there we were harassed, abused and had the police called on us. She continued to call our room throughout the evening threatening us saying “you have 30 minutes to leave” The police show up to our room at 11:30pm. A male and female officer. The police officers, upon hearing our side and seeing the condition of the hot tub, were equally appalled by not only the actions of Zona and Kevin and how our family has been treated here but the photos of the filthy hot tub as well. The female officer said she's never had a call of this nature before, and could very well see we are a quiet family in our room enjoying some snacks and a movie. They negotiated with Zona, ensuring we could stay the night and receive a refund, but this did little to salvage our ruined vacation. In summary, our experience at the Best Western Plus Chateau Inn Hotel was nothing short of egregious. The unsanitary conditions of the facilities and the reprehensible behavior of the staff, particularly Zona and Kevin, have left us deeply distressed. We were treated as criminals for merely requesting basic cleanliness and safety. I will be contacting the regional director for Best Western, Alberta Health Services, the Better Business Bureau, and any other relevant authorities to report this unacceptable conduct. This experience has entirely marred our family vacation, and we strongly advise others to avoid this establishment.

Stayed with family for a wedding. I was charged on my cc for 2 rooms …..neither of which were mine. I was able to recoup monies for 1 room as it was a family member. My cc shows a charge of about $60.00 more than my receipt for the other room. I called 4 days ago about this and still haven't heard back from the manager. Don't mind paying for my room but I'm upset I've paid for someone else's. So be very careful staying here.

A+ other than they cannot accommodate early check in during peak season. It's understandable. Services are excellent. Rooms are tidy, extra pillows and complimentary water provided. Breakfast refills constantly. Specialty coffee is awesome! The location is walking distance to restaurants and beach.

Location of the motel is excellent. Right on the lake, lots of restaurants close by. Customer Service was very good.

Nice hotel near the lake. Close to walking along the lake near restaurants and shops. Hotel is basic with no lounge. Breakfast had alot of options.

The beginning started off a little shaky but the staff came thru in the end. Got to the hotel and got our key cards, went to the room and that's where it went south. The room next to us (no word of a lie) had three children and two adults in it. There wasn't a chance in hell I was getting any sleep so my wife called downstairs and the gentleman promptly changed us to a different room one level down. Would you know it? It was directly under the family of five!! All good thou, we asked to be moved yet again and we're granted a different room and it was upgraded. It was nice that the staff did the right thing and made it right. Best part of the hotel is the location and the fact that there was breakfast included. No real need to drive anywhere, you have the whole waterfront right in front of you. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Sylvan Lake area.

Clean rooms. Breakfast included. Very polite and helpful staff. Lovely lobby. Great parking. Close to shopping. Great view of the lake and the sunsets were spectacular.

The lady at front desk went above and beyond. Helped and answered our questions about hotel and area. Hotel was very clean and comfortable would definitely stay again.

It was a very nice hotel. It was quiet considering it was full of guests. Staff was helpful and friendly. Parking was easy too. Great location as it was easy to get to the lakeshore and restaurants.

We went for a break with out 2 large dogs. This hotel is always clean, friendly and maintains a high standard. We have been coming to this hotel over 10 years and come multiple times a year. Breakfast is good and the locations is fantastic. 10/10 constantly.

Decent hotel but the jacuzzi suit is a huge disappointment. Booked for my birthday not realizing they just have a jetted tub in the bathroom, it is NOT a jacuzzi suit. Definitely just an over priced room. View from this room is of the surrounding neighbourhood, lake view would have made it better for sure.

10/10 would recommend. Had to stay for an extended time during a house renovation and the staff was excellent and very accommodating. They even went above and beyond for our young kids to make their stay extra enjoyable.

This property is the best place to go if you are looking for the perfect view of the lake, it is also very accessible to many shops around the area, within walking distance. There are so many picturesque locations nearby as well. The hotel has a nice facade and we love that they provide daily breakfast. They are also kid friendly. Our family of 4 enjoyed our 3 night stay and will come back.

Excellent Hotel and beautiful view of the ice fishing shacks. Staff were exceptional and asked some of the other team players to quiet down in the hallways after hours. At check-in both staff members were very helpful and made us feel comfortable about our choice to stay in the hotel. At check-out the next day the receipt was under the door and breakfast was waiting. A new day full of sunshine.

Excellent hotel, clean with friendly staff and delicious breakfast selections. Pool and hot tub was enjoyable. Central location for walking to Sylvan Lake activities. Would highly recommend for short or longer stays.

We really enjoyed the facility and the area of town that it is located in. It is close to Sylvan Lake and the park. There are lots of small businesses and restaurants close buy. The hotel is well kept, and we will be back as we really enjoyed our stay!

We love Best Western and appreciate pet friendly ones. The staff were great and super helpful. Location is across the street from the beach. :) We've stayed in many pet friendly rooms, and expect our room to be ‘less' than the other rooms, being that it is a designated pet room. However, this room was far less. It was very worn, tired and given the amount of sniffing our male dog did- on corners of beds, chair, carpet- we suspect there's been a fair amount of dog ‘markings.' The shower head was broken. Very broken. Pillowcases need to not only cover the pillow, but have some excess- for pillow personal hygiene. Ours did not cover the pillow. Overall, it was just ok, for one night. Location and staff were best parts.

We had two rooms for a week. Hotel is in perfect location, across the street from an outstanding cafe/boutique called Sweet Home on the Lake, and also a two-minute walk to Lakeshore Cafe. This Best Western has a lovely, sunny dining area w yummy breakfast of hot scrambled cheesy eggs, tater tots, sausage (or ham or turkey bacon), cereals, gf toast & cereal available. Breakfast is only until 10:00 am - should be till at least 10:30. There's a new fab coffee machine that makes anything from creamy hot chocolate to cappuccino. Fantastic swimming pool & hot tub (sadly the hot tub was closed for maintenance). Horribly lit guest rooms w very uncomfortable nasty fluorescent lighting which I was told are very slowly being changed to softer yellow lighting. Clean guest rooms, good mattresses, dark in the morning. The room fan/heating/ac units were finally quiet during this stay which made it much easier to sleep. Tv screen was way too small. Jen at the front desk was tremendous - always cheerful, kind & professional. Can't wait for our next visit :)

The check in and stay were very pleasurable. The hotel is clean and fairly new looking. I stay in a lot of hotels for work and this was an absolute one of the better ones. The parking is challenging but workable. The staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable of things to occupy your tie

The staff was great, always friendly. The room spacious. It was clean and smelled clean. The breakfast was good and perfect to start the day. Always fresh food. Good location. Walkable. Everything was as good as possible.

We love going to Best Western Sylvan Lake, I think it is affordable worth it because of the location and the breakfast oncluded on your stay. This is our second year staying here in this place and we love it!

Our room was on the 3rd floor and had a spectacular view of the lake,great experience staying at this hotel with awesome amenities and delicious breakfast included, the front desk staff were so friendly and helpful can't wait to stay here again in the future!

Check in was fast and friendly. Very accommodating to put our rooms close together. Location is exactly what we needed- close to the lake and restaurants and a pharmacy & liquor store right across the street! Breakfast was hot and well stocked. Staff were brilliant. Can't wait to go back.

The staff is excellent. Great location. Clean. Used their conference room- perfect for 50 attendees.. Food for our convention was excellent. The hotel has a patio at the front that we used - it was perfect. Across the street from the lake. Close to lots of pubs.

We went to sylvan lake for a quick getaway, hadn't been there in years. We stayed here and was an awesome stay. Friendly staff ,very clean ,nice and quiet. Breakfast is good. One of the best hotels there nice view right across from lake. Everything within walking distance.

What a great place for a group booking! Trevor at the front was amazing and so helpful. They were able to put most of our team on the same floor which was great. The pool was a blast. Breakfast was a nice addition especially with trying to get our little ones out the door for a game each morning. The Sunset room for a team pizza party worked out perfectly. Overall I would be thrilled to find a reason to come back here again!

Our kids hockey team stayed here for a tournament. Very accommodating, great breakfast. We are considering coming back in the summer for a family vacation we enjoyed it so much. Cleaning staff was always mopping up around the pool entrance to keep it safe. Good work.

Very clean hotel in a great location! Walking distance to all the shops and to the lake and park which is lovely! We were fortunate to have a complete view of the lake and the lighthouse. Great free breakfast which has enough variety to suit everyone.

My husband and I used to travel the world, but since we can no longer do that, we needed to find a great getaway within our province of Alberta: Affordable, comfortable, attractive, and convenient. This is the perfect place. 1) Staff are so friendly and accommodating that rating them would put them off the charts. 2) Free breakfast! Delicious and generous, but wait till you see the breakfast room. Cozy and across the street from the lake and lighthouse. 3) Ample parking. Very convenient if struggling with a handicapped person. 4) A salt water pool! With a whirlpool! What a delight. Clean as can be. 5) Rooms are spacious and well laid out. (We like an upper corner room for the view of the lake and the lighted lighthouse at night.) 6) Beds and mattresses matter to me so much so that I bring along my own memory foam twin mattress. Never used it at all. No need to since the hotel's mattresses are very comfortable. 7) Easy access to the lake for great summertime views, sunrises, sunsets. Fantastic walking trails. 8) Perfect location for day trips. Try the old creamery museum in Markerville. Or make a trip to nearby Red Deer, just 15 minutes away, for shopping at all big brand stores. 9) I have saved the best for last. You will be a few minutes from one of the best diners in the entire province: Lokal Kitchen. We would drive from Edmonton just to eat there. The fried chicken is soooo good. And any breakfast will satiate even the biggest appetite.

My husband and I got married at the Best Western and it was absolutely perfect in every way. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, the rooms were clean, the venue site was everything we needed and the food was delicious. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay in Sylvan Lake.

Perfect location for lakeside wedding. Hotel very accommodating for a pet loving family event, lounge games and group socializing. Event room worked well for a reception and staff on task with pleasure. We also want to know the name and model of the mattress manufacturer because we loved the sleep we had on theirs.

Beautiful location, across the street from the lake and walkway! Close to many options for food and beverages! The hotel was very clean and had an amazing breakfast included. Our room was very comfortable and clean.

Our stay was beyond exceptional and so importantly clean and it was like "comfort food" to us and we did not want to leave. The staff and complimentary breakfast and the room made us feel like royalty. The linens were silky smooth and clean and the jetted tub was so awesome and relaxing as we are old school and still love taking baths.

Great service booking, check in and out and through the stay. Rooms are large functionally set up. The entire hotel is clean and well maintained. Great location to the beach across the street, restaurants and shops all close and walking distance. Enjoyed the stay!

The front desk staff go beyond to make your stay enjoyable. They are super friendly and do a great job. My kids enjoyed the pool and fitness centre every day. Breakfast had a nice variety of items. Rooms were clean. Will definitely stay again

My family spent 3 nights for a little getaway and I was very impressed with the hotel and the staff. Upon entering the hotel, the lobby is very clean and inviting. Check-in was swift and the front desk personnel were very friendly. The room was spacious and clean. The beds were very comfortable! Each staff member we encountered was polite, friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel and I most certainly would stay there again!

Every thing was very good. Location is good but it now faces a much taller residence hotel across the road which blocks the view of Sylvan Lake. It is situated along the main road with lots of restaurants and shops. A hot and cold breakfast is provided although it appeared that there was no gluten free items (pastries, breads, waffles, cereals) available for those who require gluten free items. The bedrooms were spacious, well appointed and clean. including a microwave and coffee maker which is not so good for making multiple cups of coffee or tea. A thermostatically controlled electric kettle would be useful. On the whole Best Western lives up to its name -" Best".

This hotel from our check in to checkout was awesome. The staff was very helpful and kind to both us and all the children in hotel. The location was good for all of our activities. The room was clean and comfortable and quiet. We will definitely be visiting again.

We enjoyed immensely our short stay at the Best Western Plus Chateau Inn in Sylvan Lake. The hotel is in close proximity to the waterfront that is a plus for anyone seeking fun on the water during the summer! The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. We were there for a wedding reception. Very well received at the reception desk. The room was spacious and clean. Great location near beaches. The room for the wedding reception was a perfect size opening on a terrace. The serving staff was very professional and friendly.

The front staff at this location were extremely friendly and the breakfast was great (although very busy for Canada Day weekend). The pool was small and crowded but in good condition otherwise. None of the weight machines in the gym worked; there is cardio equipment but the morning I went to use it there was already one individual on the treadmill. The other 2 cardio machines face directly to the treadmill (literally side-by-side and right in front due to the small space), making it uncomfortable to exercise if someone is already using the treadmill. My advice for the gym would be to get rid of the equipment that doesn't work and spread out the cardio machines; fix or get 1 multi-purpose weight machine to allow for space for the cardio equipment. As it's summer, most mornings I ran along the lake which is a short but beautiful run. Great location; really can't beat the proximity to the beach, especially with a free breakfast included.

Enjoyed my stay and breakfast in Sylvan Lake . Clean room, fridge, microwave, Keurig machine. Nice view of lake with large window. Could hear some traffic noise which I imagine could be worse in summer as it is right on Lakeshore Drive, but otherwise great. Will be back!

Check in and out was super easy. Staff at the front desk were so friendly. Room was really clean and even saw staff disinfecting a door down the hall the next morning. Breakfast next morning was surprisingly decent! Love the location and would recommend this hotel.

There was lots to do in sylvan but this place Pool was awesome and the staff are great. Rooms are very comfy and have all that you need. The breakfast was ok, lots of parking for the guest even when fully booked

This hotel is in a great location in Sylvan Lake, right across from the water at the park. The service is excellent, the pricing gives you good value for your money and a beautiful little village where you can be active or quiet as you wish. The staff all seem to enjoy their jobs and treat guests well!

We stayed with our hockey team & the staff went above & beyond to accommodate us & were extremely helpful. The bed was probably the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on in a hotel. The location was also amazing within walking distance to many restaurants, bars & shopping.

We stayed in this hotel when we were stranded because of bad road and weather. They were very accommodating and helpful at short notice. Wonderful staff. Full hot breakfast in the morning was very much appreciated.. Will definitely stay there again.

Staff was very flexible - although the breakfast was technically done at 10am, they were very accommodating to continue to bring out food (ex- waffle batter), for our hockey players that slept in and didn't show up until after 10am. Our stay was a complete nightmare !! Hockey children were allowed to run unsupervised on two floors from the moment we checked in until after 10:00pm. The staff were oblivious to the chaos, and were unwilling to stop the madness until after 11:00pm. So, they had the run of the building until then. Screaming, yelling children running down the halls, up the stairs down the elevator and repeat for hours and hours!!! Closed the pool because of feces, no food at the breakfast room because the teams took it all, no coffee, barking dogs...total nightmare of a hotel stay!!!!

Best Western Pulus Chateau Inn at Sylvan Lake has a friendly staff, a clean environment, and it is close to all the amenities of Sylvan Lake! Their morning breakfast has a great selection and clean diniing area. Definitely reccommend.

The jet tubs weren't cleaned properly. When you used them sediments were in the water. Also the sink wasn't washed the whole time I was there, the housekeeping doesn't remove trash, and the last night I stayed the housekeeping didn't make my bed for whatever reason. Got kind of old really quick.

The hot tub was out of order and they told me before I booked and gave us a discount. The bed was so comfortable, the room had a jetted tub so bring some bath bombs, the staff was nice and the breakfast, sausage, omelets, waffles with whip cream and berries, and more.

This hotel is not the Taj Mahal but would certainly do! Great location, good parking, front desk staff were fantastic. Rooms were very clean and everything we needed was there. Breakfast was served to us and for a fast breakfast it certainly tasted good!

We had a wonderful getaway with our granddaughter at the Best Western in Sylvan Lake, Alberta. This hotel is across the street from the Lake. It's the perfect location for friendly walks along the lake, and is close to a huge playground which our granddaughter loved!

Included in the nightly rate was breakfast. One of us needs a Celiac GF diet. The staff in the breakfast area appeared very knowledgable about Celiac diets and indicated what was GF in the general buffet, what may have been contaminated and what they could make us from the kitchen in the back. They had a dedicated GF toaster in the back kitchen as well. The breakfast was delicious and worry free. The hotel was very clean, nicely appointed and the staff pleasant and helpful. Would definitely return.

Incredible staff! The customer service went above and beyond. Me and my mom needed a getaway. It's been a rough year for so many. This experience was one I'll remember. The ladies at the front desk were so kind, so happy. Everyone seemed to be smiling all the time. It just gave off a great vibe. We can't wait to come back next year. I hate to tell you how great this hotel is for location because I would love to keep it a secret. It is in a perfect location in Sylvan within easy walking distance to the beach, the stores. the recreational activities that families would enjoy. It couldn't be in a better location.

This hotel was an excellent choice for a mini holiday. The hotel is centrally located to the restaurants and shops and across the street from the lake. My wife and I were very happy with our room and that our requests were met. Professional and friendly staff member at check in. Breakfast was excellent and the staff member helping was awesome! Would highly recommend!

Very rude staff upon check out, almost all the equipment in the gym was broken. The room smell like throw up and mould. I requested a little bit later check out because we got there very late and she would only give me 30 minutes which I found was extremely rude when I saw other people leaving early in the morning

A great pet friendly, family hotel and I was travelling with neither but not bothered by either. Loved the location at the end of "the strip." Best view rooms are 315, 415 and down on that side of the building on each floor. Enjoy!

Super clean. Great staff. Awesome location for Sylvan Lake. You park the car and can walk anywhere from the hotel. I woudl stay here again for sure. The breakfast was really good as well. Lots of good choices both cold and warm.

We decided to use this hotel because it was available short notice. The hotel was decent. The pool was absolutely disgusting. Breakfast was looked ok. We still ate out. Room was clean. Tv was small with no HD channels.

We booked a getaway for our 30th anniversary. The room was tired and in need of an upgrade. The toilet seat was loose. The worst part was coming back to find that there was no maid service and wouldn't be. How is that for an anniversary - but they didn't bother to change the room rate. We still paid full price but didn't get full service. The air conditioner barely worked. They are in a prime location, but they need to upgrade badly. We have stayed there in the past and had a better room. Not sure why this one was poor. Breakfast was horrible and not enough seating. Terrible overall experience compared to other Best Westerns we've stayed at. Sad that it was our special trip.

We usually travel at least once a week and checked in to hotels if it's more than 150 km away from home (in Calgary). We been through lots of different hotels both domestic and international but this one 'Best Western Plus Chateau Inn Sylvan Lake' is unique and more feels like home due to the inside and outside feels. The hotels guestroom is sparkling clean inside and outside. There covid prevention job is stunning as they will always sanitized everything you touched and they touched (like your ID or pen) instantly in front of your eyes. You feel very safe and secure on the spot and you can feel by heart that they genuine care for their business and their client. They have a free pack bag of ready to go breakfast as hot breakfast option are now almost gone due to pandemic. I recognized one of their receptionist named 'Jackie' as she goes beyond our expectation. She is unique and very helpful towards their customer in unique way. I wish all guest relation officer are like her! The hotel free wi-fi is very strong too. The location of the hotel is perfect and very close to the beach and to everything! We would definitely comeback and we highly recommends this hotel to everyone seeking for hotel stay satisfaction!

The location was great to walk around, lots of restaurants and pubs are nearby. It did seem a bit loud with vehicles at times from the room, but I didn't notice it when I was sleeping. Because of Covid, I was unable to use the pool or fitness facilities.

Hotel and room were clean and comfortable, staff were very friendly and kind. A small problem at checkout but this was resolved quickly and considerately. Location is excellent for access to walking/lakefront and local businesses.

I have been to this hotel numerous times and have never been disappointed. Its one of the friendliest and consistently good hotels I have stayed in. Its also pet friendly and the rooms are still great and not cheap and old. Even during COVID this hotel keeps up the standards and service.

Great location, Nice amenities, Free breakfast. The only think I will change is the breakfast hours, maybe from 7 to 10. The front desk staff was very helpful and they were always available when needed. The cleaning staff was also great.

I've stayed twice at the BW Chateau Suites in Sylvan Lake. Once many years ago and again this week. The hotel has maintained the same excellent service and quality that I enjoyed many years ago. The rooms are an excellent size, very clean and we had a beautiful view of the water. This will be my hotel of choice in Sylvan.

After driving and travelling for 2 hours in the dead of winter from Barrhead and just wanted to make it safe to my room in Sylvan Lake...Tammy at th efron desk was a welcome smile and friendly face! The moment you walk and the amazing breakfast set up...you will NOT be dissapointed. Plus...for the Price point and scenery around the property this Best Western Plus is well worth the journey off the QEII.

The occasion was a Family Christmas reunion and had some diverse requests which were met with a most eager to please attitude and exuberance. Nice to see a staff that obviously enjoys what they do . The entire experience did make all of us feel at Home!

Stayed 1 night. Dinner and a movie. Beach was all decorated and lit up. Good dining choices. Had a nice experience. Sylvan is quite in winter compared to summer. Will definitely do this trip again. It's also an excuse to go to the Sylvan Cheese Factory...Gouda!

My beautiful wife and I were looking to sneak away for an evening and thought the new Best Western in Sylvan Lake would be a great choice. Right on the Main Street with a King bed “ Lake View “ and a jacuzzi... we were very excited to try out a new place. It was easy enough to find, plenty of parking out back. Brand new building, very friendly staff ...... wow the room was very small, this was the upgrade ?????? Very disappointing, yes a Lake view, when you stand at the window, can't sit and look out the window at the lake. Very clean and new .... but very basic and minimal to say the least. I have stayed in a Super 8 hotel in remote Northern Alberta that was 10 X better. It was a Jet tub not a jacuzzi tub... one of the smallest tubs I have ever seen. This room was very disappointing to say the least... it looked like a great place, pool and everything else, we just never used or even looked at those things... we got up in the morning and went downstairs to take advantage of the Free Hot Breakfast..... no eggs, no hash browns, a couple sausages, again very disappointing. We waited for some more eggs, Etc to be brought out, the guy brought enough eggs for one person so we decided the wait was just not worth it... we were very disappointed with the entire stay... I can't see staying at this place again. Considering that Sylvan Lake is filled with Million dollar mansions and is a must go to place during the summer this is a hotel that I would expect to find in Alix or Coronation.... I can't imagine what the basic rooms have if this was one of the best rooms..

I organize many business retreats for work and most recently we stayed at the Best Western Plus Chateau Inn in Sylvan Lake. The stay was wonderful. The rooms were nice and clean. The staff was very friendly. And the hotel is in a great location, giving beautiful views of the lake. I would most definitely bring a group back to this location. Everyone enjoyed it!

this hotel has always been a pleasure to use. the rooms are great and really clean. the pool and hot tub are outstanding and looked after by the staff. the breakfast is the hit of the stay with fresh fruit, fresh, hot cooked eggs, breads and yogurts. you can't go wrong staying at the facility.

I've been coming to this hotel since it was built, and I'm pleased to say that not much has changed. The beds are still extremely comfortable, the soaker- jet tub is fantastic, and I've never experienced problems accessing the internet, with speeds fast enough for HD with Netflix. Have been here many times, and look forward to coming back many more.

Had to leave Lethbridge at 4:30AM to make Edmonton Auction by 9:30AM. Then off to Westlock and over to Barrhead. After my meetings and risk of doing any more driving I made a reso at the Best Western Plus in Sylvan Lake. From the minute you arrive to the amazing Breakfast in the looby the next day I was NOT disappointed. My room as great with a Jetted Tub and King Size bed overlooking the Lake Lighthouse in Rotary Park. Being from Nova Scotia it really made me feel a sense of calm and home. Had Not been to that town in a while and walked along the waterfront and was in love with the Fall Colours. Nice aaroment of places to eat close by and a craft brewery across the street. It may be a few KM's off the QEII but well worth the trip in. Lakeshore Drive is something else. It will not be the last time I stay there...That's for sure! Looking forward to my next trip north already.

We were able to check into this hotel early, which we really appreciated. The hotel's location is ideal, and is right across from the lake. The breakfast was fantastic with lots of good options. Pool and hot tub were nice. Unfortunately, the hotel was quite loud and I was awoken by yelling. It seems like it gets kind of rowdy there on the weekends.

Although i have heard it can be quite rowdy on the weekends in Sylvan Lake, whenever we have stayed during the week, it's been clean, quiet, comfortable, reasonably priced, terrific free breakfast and all day free coffee. the amenities such as the pool, hot tub and exercise room were well used by the wife and I. they even have a coin operated washer and dryer which we also used, and if you're out of detergent or fabric softener, they appear to be able to provide some! located across the street from the beach and just down the block from all the restaurants. what more could you ask for? this is our 2nd time staying here and we will come back again !

Perfect location and an excellent hotel. They welcomed our golden doodle and genuinely enjoyed her, even giving her special treats! The full breakfast was excellent: waffles, eggs, yogurt, fruits, sausages, bacon etc. They always had tea and coffee in the lobby and even cookies. The room was spotless, as was the poo; and hot tub. Although it is not lakefront, it is directly across from the beach and easy walking distance to a selection of bars and restaurants.

Visit Sylvan Lake 21 - July 22 and I stayed in this hotel, very clean facilities, I got room 417 (recommended) overlooking the lake, the staff always greeted me with a smile, breakfast were a very rich omelette, sausages , waffles and coffee. I will definitely return to this hotel very soon, I am from Latin America and in this place I felt the Canadian hospitality, blessings to the team.

BW Plus on Lakeshore Drive is always a great place to stay for a few days at the beach. We have stayed here a few times and we will be back. Breakfast is good and a great way to start the day. The lakeside view rooms are amazing!

The staff are prompt, polite, professional and welcoming. The hotel is well situated near the lake and the centre of town. The breakfast was good. The hotel is well maintained and clean. We would stay here again when visiting Sylvan Lake.

Pet friendly King sized room was great. The lady that checked us in seemed like a great person. Ordered from the local Boston Pizza, and it was terribly late and cold when we got it, don't eat there !!

I stay 100 nights per year in hotels as I travel almost every week for business. My wife and I decided to stay here as we had learned a promotional free night stay from Best Western. The room was nice and they gave us a free upgrade to a room with a view of the lake which was aporeciated. Everything was clean and the staff were friendly. The free breakfast was good and we enjoyed our stay. However, the rooms weren't very sound proof and we heard the people in the next room talking after they returned to their room late that night. I assumed they were staying in the room beside us but can't be sure. I know noise is a deal breaker for some travellers so I thought I'd better give you all the heads up. :)

We stayed in Sylan to check out apartments and condos. The check lady that nite was so very helpful. It was April 24 2019. We were so tired. We drove 18 hrs. Jetted tub was the best. Beds pillows great. Best Westerns have never let us down. Try to always stay at Best Westerns. Love love love em.

Our room was very spacious and clean, the pool was surprisingly warm and we enjoyed the hot tub. The hot breakfast was the next morning was a real treat with a view of the lake. The meeting room was also very nice. I would definitely recommend the hotel.

Hockey team stayed during a weekend tournament and hotel very accomodative to families and kids as they used the facilities and informal gathering points on hotel floors. In sharp contrast to previous visits to other chains that forced parents to sign documents restricting activities of children in hallways and fitness facilities/pools contained on site. Would highly recommend as a family friendly hotel that treats kids right!

The service and quality of this BW were excellent. I recommend this hotel for groups. We were there for a hockey tournament and the hotel was perfect. It is also pet friendly which was nice. The staff were friendly and very helpful.

The front end staff were terrific. The breakfasts were quite good and the lady making sure the buffet was in good order was happy and friendly. The bed was comfortable but those polycotton sheets have got to go! Crawled into bed and it was like mini lightning bolts racing across the sheets. Polyester doesn't breathe and it traps heat so staying a good temperature at night was difficult.

Our overall age range would have been 2 years to 75 years. Little ones can get loud and messy, but staff were prepared with over the top solutions. We knew going in what the limitations were and what was expected. The results were that we all came away with a most positive experience! We will be back, that's a promise!

I absolutely loved our time here this past October. We stayed for 4 nights and we're very well taken care of. My little guy accidentally left a car door open on rental car so staff told me the next day, it was left open, but they closed it for us and made sure it was safe. Our stay included free breakfast which was a reason for my teenagers to get out of bed before 10am. Absolutely delicious. Everything is walking distance to this hotel and there is a Shopper's Drug Mart & liquor store right next door. Across the street and down about 200m is a fabulous restaurant called Wingin' It that my boys were begging me to go back to again. We'll be back! Thank you!

We stayed here in August for 6 nights. We had a very comfortable and relaxed stay which was all down to the wonderful staff who were all very friendly and helpful. We were always greeted with a 'Hi' and asked if we had a good day whenever we returned from a trip. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel is in a perfect position opposite Sylvan Lake you walk to the lake and everywhere. Car parking free and plentiful. Breakfast was a buffet with a good selection of hot and cold choices. Would highly recommend. Good for a stay enrolee either to or back from Calgary airport.

This hotel is a beautiful hotel on main street directly across from the lake. It is within easy walking access to the beach and restaurants. The hotel is very clean and the staff keep it very nice. We enjoyed the continental breakfast as well and the dining area is very cheery and spacious!

Just left after 15 night stay. Amzing hospitality. Clean rooms. We loved the Jetted tubs and King Size Beds. Ann and her front desk staff looked after us very well and treated us like family! Room was comfortable and spacious. All the staff was friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was great, (my children loved the cookies at the front desk). The hotel is within easy walking distance to the beach, restaurants, and activities.

Overall Clean hotel. Had a small mishap at breakfast but overall a pleasant expereince. Is located quite close to the Sylvan lake , though we were on a trip from Jasper so we did not get time to visit the lake since we were travelling early morning.

A complete 180 from our last experience here. Obviously staff is key. They appear extremely short staffed. Our room was not cleaned on our first night's stay. We would have liked to use the BBQ on site - patiently waited while attendant checked in new quests, regardless of whether they were there before us. Finally gave up on the attendant checking whether it was possible - as he never did let us know and did not call for help. (Also annoying - he checked in two males and notified them that their room only had a King Bed - they said it was fine, then he asked if they needed a cot, to which they replied -no, he stated it was company policy to double check!)

The Best Western Plus in Sylvan lake is immaculately clean. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The staff in the breakfast area keep it clean and well stocked, and the breakfast was very good. The location is convenient too, right across the street from the lake.

This hotel rocks! Located right on the strip (Lakeshore Drive) with beach access more or less across the street. The rooms were clean, spacious and well-appointed. The hotel swimming pool has floor to ceiling windows looking right on the street and all the action. Great for a cooler day. I've never seen such meticulous cleaning! The morning we checked out I watched a cleaner doing the parking lot entrance, elevator, lobby area. He thoroughly vacuumed each window, even the fronds of the fern and every crook and cranny! No spiders in this place!! The staff were amazing and showed the small town hospitality that just comes naturally to them! Sandy in the kitchen was so accommodating, providing food needed to take with medication as well as personalized scrambled eggs sans the ham for one of us. The front desk staff and gentleman working in the dining room also went out of their way to make our stay comfortable, storing our blue up beach toys for us. The only criticism I would offer is to change out the light bulbs in the rooms. I've nothing against LED bulbs but a Warm light as opposed to the Cool ones in our room would have been welcome. So much natural light in the rooms it wasn't really a problem! The continental breakfast is over the top! I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel!

Hotel is in convenient location to Beach area. Our room had beautiful view of the lake & was well decorated,clean and comfortable. Pool & Hot Tub well maintained and our Grandchildren loved it! The Continental Breakfast offered a good variety of food and was well kept. Definitely would stay here again.

So many things about this hotel makes it perfect for a weekend getaway at Sylvan Lake, let me list a few: (1) you will be greeted promptly with a warm smile and fresh cookies upon check-in no matter how busy they are (including on long weekends when they are fully booked), all the staff are friendly and helpful such as the maintenance guy who helped promptly with a clogged toilet, front desk, breakfast host who offer to make a waffle for my kids, room cleaners are thorough and friendly (2) the location is within 3-5 minutes walk to the best part of the lake and our lake view room on the top floor was perfect for our family of 2 adults 2 kids complete with microwave and mini fridge, comfortable beds, lots of pillows and enough sets of towels for 4 without having to ask (3) plenty of free parking (4) wifi is reliable and included (5) indoor pool for rainy days This is our 4th stay here, and we will be back. We travel often and stay at 4/5 star hotels and all around this is among the best. It is clean, friendly, comfortable, and convenient without nickeling and diming you for everything and that is very hard to find these days. A real gem!

The Chateau Inn Sylvan Lake was the host stay for a family event. We were well received and all our requests accommodated. Our rooms were clean and well appointed. A comfy king-size bed. The pool area looked fun and plenty of free parking. The morning continental breakfast was nicely stocked. Recommending this hotel for a stay.

Check in was quick and easy, the room was nice and clean no bad smell, the entry way was very clean and inviting . Was told about the pool and hot tub along with the work out room, the staff are very friendly and welcoming, and ready to answer questions about the area. Totally recommend this place.

The staff were friendly and helpful. They changed our room so we could overlook the lake even though we were checking in early. They directed us to a great restaurant for supper. It was very central to the lake core of town. The bed was incredibly comfortable. Looking forward to returning there.

Our Hockey Team (North West Warriors, Atom 6) from Calgary, AB stayed at this property for 2 nights, Feb. 16 & 17, 2018. I was the tournament organizer who booked 16 rooms. The customer service we received from ANN was so outstanding from start to finish. What a very professional, personable, efficient and pleasant woman to work with on every level, really refreshing ! We booked their hospitality room for a team dinner and party for the Saturday evening and it was a lovely space. We could even take a glimpse of the Winter Carnival Fireworks which went off on the lake at 7pm from the windows. TREVOR at the front desk was most cordial, customer focused and accommodating with our stay. The hotel was really gorgeous in every way. The players and parents both could not have asked for a warmer welcome or a more outstanding hotel. Sylvan Lake is the most beautiful little town on the lake with lots of shops, restaurants to enjoy your stay. The hotel sits right across the street from the lake. The waterfront is so quaint. The staff at this hotel are excellent, warm, friendly and very helpful. The pool and hot tub are in great shape. The room are in great shape and very clean. Beds are comfortable. i would most definitely recommend this hotel.

We have stayed at the Best Western Sylvan Lake a number of times and have enjoyed every one. There is a great view of the lake and the hotel is centrally located in the downtown area with easy walking distance of the main beach area. We highly recommend this location at what we consider to be Albertas finest lake!

We were made very welcome. Front desk was friendly and helpful. We brought pizza in for the team and we were allowed to use the dining area. The pool was available and enjoyed by our team. The hotel is in a picturesque area. We really enjoyed our stay.

My mother, sister, myself and my little dog had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for a weekend, last month. We found the staff to be very helpful, friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious and clean, and was equipped with a small refrigerator as well as a microwave and coffee maker. The beds were very comfortable - and had no problems drifting off into a deep and restful sleep. The breakfast was hot and fresh and was included in the price of the room. (They were even able to provide gluten-free items for a member of our group with dietary restrictions!) We arrived on a Friday and were delighted to find the Farmers Market with its wonderful selection of produce, baking, jewelry, crafts, home businesses, musicians, food trucks, and more - located just across the street from the hotel. The location is close to restaurants, shopping and the beach. There was also a swimming pool, jacuzzi and exercise room at this hotel, but we didn't have an opportunity to try them during this trip. We would definitely stay here again!

Anne, Brenda and Roy went over and above when I woke up to a flat tire in the morning. My tire was filled at the hotel, I had a destination to take my vehicle to as the staff called around for me. The staff went above and beyond to ensure I was okay before I left the hotel. You do not find this kind of customer service everyday. Excellent people in this hotel.

The room was nice and clean,the front desk people not friendly.One lady Morgan was very helpful and friendly.The stairs were not open to the guest of the hotel to use,i was not happy about that because my dog does not like elevator.We had to carry my 50 lb dog on hands to the elevator.Wen i told the lady that my dog is scare she told me sorry we can not help you.We went to look for different hotel but every hotel in town was sold. We had no choice.The brekfast was very good and the eating room was nice and clean.I would stay there again because of the location and pet friendly rooms.

When I say consumer beware I mean for the entire town. Sadly the town has seen Summer in all its forms and is very aware of the up coming slow season. Best western started out like maybe the exception. But in fine form they joined the group after midnight. Maybe asking for bubble bath was too much but the short responds of I suggest shampoo not followed up with we can bring u another bottle. Doesn't scream helpful yet ignorant Maybe not much some people will say but after the gross hospitality we we're shown lol all night. U would agree. The staff in this town is no longer helping customer unless that means out of there wallet. We are very disgusted with everything in this town With one exception. Recommend u check out Fireside grill a pleasant surprise with helpful staff and great food. Good job!!

We stayed for 6 nights and the stay was very nice. We were there for my son's week long hockey camp. The room was clean and very spacious. The pool was nice although a bit small once there were a bunch of kids in it but I'll pick my battles. The breakfast room was very nice with a lot of seating. Selection was very good. Staff very helpful and courteous. Definitely would stay again

Great location, across from the lake... steps to Wibit park, rentals of water "toys"... close to Freshii( if you want a really clean eating). The pool was very very clean, so was the hot tub. Breakfast was included and very rich in options: fruits( including kiwis) yougurt, make your own waffles( you can add fruit, chocolate chips inside the batter) just .yum! Warm Food too: eggs, bacon, sausages, fruit juices, cereals etc... really great choices!

The rooms were very clean and the employees were all very friendly! They actually care about the quality of their guests stay! Highly recommend! We would stay here again the next time we visit Sylvan Lake for sure!!

What a great place! Hotel was spotless, breakfast was amazing, and best of all EVERY staff member was awesome - from the cleaning staff to the front desk to the gentleman than tidied the breakfast area - super friendly and very helpful. Hotel is ideally located at Sylvan Lake to enjoy all amenities - go karts, watersports, beach and restaurants. This will be our go to hotel for future stays in Sylvan Lake.

Very nice new hotel with a good level of ammenities for this rural location. Very friendly staff both at check in/out and during our stay. Breakfast was simple but good and the staff kept the eating area very clean during and after the deal duration.

From check in to check out, we liked everything about the Best Western in Sylvan Lake. We had a view of the lake. The location was perfect for walking to the beach, restaurants, bars, grocery stores. Will stay there again.

Hotel is 5 mins from the water's edge. Really speedy checkin by Jessica and incredibly helpful assistance from Anne, who really is a great ambassador for the company. . We loved this place so much, we stayed for a further 2 nights. Breakfast was busy as popular time of year to visit. Room was large and airy. We booked a lake view room overlooking lighthouse. Short walk to bars, stores and restaurants. Great for family with small children. Have nothing but praise from all staff, who seem cheerful and friendly and helpful. We'll definitely return here.

What a fantastic stay we had at this hotel. Being familiar with hotel stays, I was pleasantly surprised at how very clean and organized it is. The room was clean, clean, clean and the bedding the whitest I have ever seen! The pool and hot tub were very clean and well maintained. Now the staff, where do I begin? Trevor checked us in with such patience. He explained everything we needed to know about our stay and the hotel. Morgan who checked us out was so very pleasant and patient with our kids. The breakfast that was included in our stay was just as it should be, the hot portions were hot, and the rest were fresh (fruits, breads, pastry, yogurt, juices). Both fellows, Lawrence and the other (sorry, cannot remember his name) were so accommodating and attentive to our needs. They kept the eating and serving areas very, very clean, stocked and ready for every patron that came in. We will definitely come back before the end of the year, and next year. Hotel staff was very friendly and the location was perfect. We didn't use our car for three days. Everything with close to walk to but we also had our bikes which we road everyday. Beach is across the street, lots of food choices close by and shoppers drug mart right next door. Although we were right on the many street the hotel was very quiet.

We love staying at this beautiful hotel in Sylvan Lake. The proximity to the beach, restaurants and activities for the kids (like Aqua Splash, mini golf, bumper cars and go carts) is perfect. We are always given the best rate that is available, and when we arrive, we are treated like royalty. We look forward to the breakfasts and the fresh baked cookies in the afternoon! The pool and hot tub are lovely and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The beds are super comfortable and the view of the lake is wonderful. We will come again soon!

We loved the room. The bedding was amazing. I want to order the sheets, pillows, duvet, and bed for my own home. The room was clean and the staff was very accommodating. Two thumbs up. We were told it is the only decent hotel in Sylvan. I'd stay there anytime, again.

This is the second time we stayed at the Best Western in 2 months, and once again we had a great experience. The rooms are clean, they smell nice too, or at least ours did :) The beds are comfortable, the washrooms are clean, lots of towels, jetted bath. But the most important thing for us in the room was the microwave and a mini fridge, travelling with a little one it's always great if you can store and heat up milk in the room, also free Wifi. We stayed in room 204, parking lot view, very quiet. The breakfasts are included, and it is very good. They offer hot eggs, sausages, hash browns, cereal waffles, pastry, fruit, yogurts, juices, coffee, teas etc. Enough to get your belly full :) The breakfast seating area is not large, but they have an overflow dining room near by. There is also a pool, but we did not visit it. The hotel is located across the street form the lake, close to light house, beach, restaurants etc. by foot. We would definitely stay there again :)

Service was very good, breakfast was way better than we expected. They have gluten free bread and muffins, the omelette was great too. All the gluten eaters loved the french toast and waffles as well. Pool is small, and my eldest mentioned it was dirty but the kids had fun. The location was great, right accross from the lake and walking distance to restaurants and bars. The rooms are standard, but clean. I would love to see the decorative tan pillow and bed runner removed, they are never clean and I always prefer a bed without those things. The water was a bit soft, hard to rinse all the girls long hair after a sandy beachy day, certainly not the end of the world, but definitely added more time to everyone getting ready. The remotes are cleaned with each new check in, our family appreciates the attention to cleanliness.

Hotel is in a good location of town. Service & employees was very good. Everything was clean inside and outside. We stayed 5 nights & was 30 minutes away from our local families, the hotel was well worth the drive each day.

This hotel is the perfect location for the water sports, restaurants and easy to get to. Very helpful and friendly staff. The only thing I requested was a lake view room and we didn't get it this time.

Stayed here while in Alberta for a family wedding in Spruce View about 30 min away. Beautiful little lake town. Friendly and professional staff. Room 301 was perfect and had great view of the lake. Breakfast was good.

Hotel and amenities are quite good. Not fancy but good value. Rooms were very clean and staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was better than expected with 3-4 hot items each day. Right across from the marina and a short walk to the beach.

It is what it says on the tin. This is rural western Canada, the walls are thin and you can hear noise from the next room. It's been this way in this part of the world since the Bison disappeared. But otherwise, it's perfect! Excellent staff, professional service and helpful as you could ever need. Very nice room, comfy bed and the air con worked! Albeit it is thermostatically controlled so it switches on and off resulting in some temperature variations of a minor sort. The included breakfast was ample, and the staff very helpful. A great hotel in the thriving metropolis that Sylvan Lake becomes during summer!

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The common areas were were clean and welcoming. The amenities were great for the size of the hotel. The location is perfect for everything. Will definitely be back soon.

We stayed last weekend in this hotel, nice and clean, even allowing us to bring our pet. It is conveniently situated in front of the lake and the Aqua Park and very close to many amenities. Breakfast was included and it was very good. Staff were super helpful and definitely we will return next summer.

stayed 2 nights in July and it was great ! newer hotels that didn't have that old hotel feel and had firm comfy beds and soft pillows, fridge, microwave, free breakfast and was really quiet ! it's a bit more pricey than the other hotels in the area but being within an easy walk to the beach, it was more than worth it. we will definitely stay here again but this time for a longer period.

We really like this hotel and I personally think it is the best one available in Sylvan Lake. It is located close to everything is one of the few hotels with a pool and hottub. The bed was very comfortable and the room was modern and well maintained/clean. I definitely recommend this hotel if you are going to Sylvan Lake.

First night was noisy till early hours of the morning. I was told it was the July long weekend traffic. Also noisy pipes. Polite staff. Walking distance to the lake and restaurants. Free breakfast. Clean. Hotel charges tourism levy.

This is a great hotel. The rates are reasonable, it's clean, the service is good, it has an indoor pool and hot tub and the best thing is you can bring your pet - how nice is that! It also includes a continental breakfast in the price so that is a bonus too!

This is a contemporary, clean property located on a lake front street in the heart of Sylan Lake. Located close to the beach, marina, shopping areas & golf. Rooms are large, comfortable& quiet. Some great views of the lake available. Breakfast is included. No bar or restaurant on site, but plenty close by. Plenty of free parking, but get your pass. Signage indicates medium & long term rentals available. Recommend.

Totally enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was within walking distance of the marina and the paths along the beach and street shops. No need to drive to the popular places to see the sites. Parking at the hotel seemed to be just enough and not crowded during our stay. Wish we had more time to use the pool that looked so clean. Would stay here again anytime as long as it remained the same.

I stayed at this hotel for business. The hotel is right in front of Sylvan Lake. The scenery is beautiful. You can walk the main street along the lake. Lots of restaurants and pubs along the walk. Beautiful location

We stayed here for one night for a hockey tournament and it was great! Rooms and facility were extremely clean. Staff very friendly and the complimentary breakfast in the morning was outstanding. Give your staff a raise! I would definitely recommend staying here again.

I enjoyed my stay at Best Western Plus. This is a new Best Western across the street from the lake. The hotel is in front of a condo complex so you cannot see the water, but the location is excellent. A very new, nice and clean hotel. I will be back !

My dad and I stayed here overnight while we were in town doing some work and it was a great experience. Super friendly staff made us feel right at home as soon as we checked in. Rooms were extremely clean and comfortable and I went to relax in the hot tub and had the place to myself, it was great. I'll definitely stay here whenever I'm in town for a day or two of they have rooms available

Very friendly staff and very comfortable bed and room. Had a king size bed that was comfy and provided a great nights rest. I would recommend staying at this hotel though for the time of year, April, it was a little pricey.

Great Rooms, very clean, the breakfast was filling and the location was very centric. I enjoyed the coffee and the comfortable chairs and bed. The bathroom was also a good size and the property is very new.

This hotel is family friendly. They allow pets. Which is great if you are looking for a place to leave your dog while you are away for the day or space for your kids to run around. But if you are like I was and looking for a quiet place by a deserted beach in early spring for some R&R, to read a book, or catch up on some studying, you should go somewhere else. There were kids were having a great time running around and playing in the elevators without their parents. Dogs were barking for 5 HOURS STRAIGHT (!OMG!) while their owners were away. Reception said their scripted formalities but really didn't do anything to show an "I care" attitude. Breakfast quality was on the low end of the scale for this style. All of this may be just fine if you prefer the hands off service style, you have dogs and need space for your kids to "be kids". In fact, to be fair, this hotel is excellent if you are looking for a place to hold a family reunion or similar. You really can't get better. Unfortunately for me, a solo traveller looking for some alone time, this hotel did not meet my needs. I regretted my choice and I can't recommend it.

This is a very nice hotel that works well for a weekend in Sylvan Lake. We have stayed here for the past few years for an annual Baton Twirling competition that is held in Sylvan Lake. The hotel is well situated and very comfortable for these weekend stays. We will be back next year.

We have family in Sylvan lake, thats why we stay there. We have over all good experience with best western hotels. In the summertime it gets really pricey because of the tourists. Otherwise than that, the rooms are clean, free parking, and free breakfast which we enjoy very much. This time...the 3rd stay....it was a noisy. There was a hockey event going on. Kids running along the halls and yelling. Its not the kids....Its parents not looking after their kids and show them how to behave in a hotel where other guests are. But...this doesn't reflect the hotel itself. So, we definitely are coming back. Just make sure there isn't an event going on since we like silence.

I stay here a few times a year on business. I was just there again. The rooms are spacious, the beds are super comfortable. The room is clean. There is plenty of variety at breakfast, even though hotel breakfasts aren't really my preference. The staff here have always been very friendly and helpful. I had the opportunity to see a room in another hotel in town. The price was slightly less than the BW but the quality of the rooms and amenities wasn't even close. I'll be back here for sure.

The bedrooms were large and very comfortable beds. The breakfast area was comfortable with the lounge attached and the front desk there for questions. Staff were very helpful and professional. The exercise room is very basic, no free weights and two of the three cardio equipment were out of order during my stay, but otherwise the pool and hot tub were immaculate.

A thoroughly enjoyable experience. I coordinated a planning session there for work and it was perfect. The location was great, hotel room was lovely, food was great and our meeting space and set up worked really well. Participants were a diverse and high level group and the feedback I received was excellent. They loved the facility, their rooms, service and everything. It was clean, bright and the staff bent over backwards to provide everything we needed and more. The hotel has a fabulous crew and they should feel fortunate to have them. Thank you to all for supporting me in providing a great hotel and services to facilitate our needs.

Its probably the only decent hotel at Sylvan lake, but that didn't stop the hotel from trying its very best. Hotel looks beautiful inside and out. Rooms are clean, staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good to gets the family going quickly. Kids just don't want to wait around for food, especially in the morning.

From check-in to check-out every staff member we interacted with was warm and hospitable. Breakfast was good-a nice selection. I didn't love the casserole on Saturday morning but you can't love everything :) We truly appreciated the coffee/tea/water that was out all day so that we could just relax and have a cup. The room was really nice, and after sleeping on those pillows I am on the hunt for some just like them...very comfy. Although this hotel is across the street from the lake, do not expect to have a lake view as there is a newer building that has gone up in front of the hotel and with the water slides coming down, who knows what will go up in their place that may abstract the view. Definitely would go back.

Pleasant and professional staff; overall condition of room, hallways, breakfast area and reception area very clean and modern; comfortable bed; very quiet surroundings; nicely decorated; convenient parking location; No complaints.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel, beautifully decorated room, and very comfortable bed; nice size of room and amazing jetted bathtub. Regretfully we forgot our swim suits and could not enjoy the pool or hot tub. Next time for sure.

Perfect location within walking distance to beach, shopping, and a ton of bars and restaurants . Staff very friendly. Room was clean and spacious and had an awesome view of the lake. Breakfast was a bit sparse in the morning as there was a convention staying there and so many people eating that they couldn't keep up on the demand.

This is a beautiful hotel, with lovely decor, very welcoming and comfortable. We arrived 2 hours before check in, but our room was ready for us. Was a bit disappointed that the lakeview room is only a partial lakeview, as there is a big condo between the hotel and the lake. Is more of a "waterslide view". But what we could see of the lake and marina was beautiful. Also a bit disappointed there were no pay per view movies, as we ended up spending one day in the room as it rained ALL day. Enjoyed the jetted tub. Asked for a late checkout on the Monday and was told they did not do late checkout in the summer. They did let us stay until 4 p.m. with a half day charge, so that was okay. There is no restaurant on site, but they do free breakfast. The breakfast room was full when we arrived and very hectic. They did allow us to take our food to the boardroom next door, which was nice and quiet. For dinner there are tons of restaurants in town, but we ended up ordering pizza from Panago. They delivered to the hotel, and were very fast. Found Sylvan Lake to be way too crowded for my liking so probably won't return, but would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Really enjoyed our stay. Very clean, reasonably priced and pet friendly facility. The location is perfect & the staff is excellent. They serve excellent hot breakfast every morning! We will definitely go back to this hotel again & would refer their name to our friends and family!

Excellent location with easy walking access to the beach and the GoKarts. Walking access to the Big Moo for ice cream and some great local restaurants. This is the end of Lakeshore drive you want to stay on. We stopped in Sylvan Lake for one night and found the hotel very comfy and clean.

Stayed there for one night with hubby and two dogs. It was their (dogs) first hotel stay. So happy to find out that this hotel allows dogs. There is a 20$ fee for their stay and we got two doggie bags with treats and poop bags. I thought that was a super nice touch! The rooms were impeccably clean. I was very impressed! Location is great. Very close to the water and close to the hustle n bustle of lakeshore drive. Breakfast was decent. There was a waffle machine! Cant wait to stay here again with the puppies :)

I have stayed here multiple times now. The rooms are spacious, with great amenities. The hotel has free parking, wifi and full breakfast. The hotels is also pet friendly. It has a swimming pool and hot tub. Found staff to be friendly and accommodating.

Everything about this place was excellent. Friendly courteous staff, hot breakfast, clean rooms. The location near the beach was very convenient. Rooms quiet. Only complaint--parking lot crowded because of how many people were enjoying this hotel.

We stay at this Best Western every year. It is always clean and we find everything working well. This year it was noticeable how pleasant the staff were. The cleaning staff were bright and cheerful, the breakfast staff were very accommodating and the front desk staff were helpful and happy to see us.

Nice hotel right across the street from the lake and waterslide (though waterslide to be replaced by a park in 2017). Rooms are spacious enough and clean and everything worked as it should. Fridge, microwave, coffee maker (Keurig) in room and hotel has pool, jacuzzi, exercise area. The included breakfast was fairly good with the standard selection + waffle machines. This hotel is a bit more expensive than the other nice ones in the area, but it has the best location, is very clean and well maintained (feels new) and just overall a nicer hotel (so it's worth it!).

We recently returned from a wedding in Sylvan Lake and stayed at the Best Western down by the lake shore. It was lovely. Our room was beautifully appointed and very clean. There was everything there that you could want and if you need anything else the staff and house keeping staff were there to help. Great location within walking distance of so much.

I usually review after staying at a property but this time I feel dissatisfied that I have to write this during our stay. We tried to checked in on July 20 around noon but our room wasn't ready. Totally understandable since the front counter agent said that check in was at 4pm. What bothered me was when she was checking in the lady in front of me, she was super friendly but when she dealt with me, I got a luke warm reception. She said that she will give us a call once our room is ready which she estimated around 3:00-3:20pm, but she never did. Also, I booked this directly with the hotel front desk (in which both agents were great on the phone) and prepaid this reservation 2 months prior with a request for a lake facing room (which we never got); but I guess, you may as well be better booking through a 3rd party website (such as Hotels.com and etc) to get extra perks. Booking directly with them, doesn't make a difference. To add, it might also be a good bonus to add a little treat for the dog when a guest is paying $20 per day for pet fee as what other hotels are doing. Pool and hot tub are pretty standard. TIPS: The wifi is really really slow. And for others who may be mislead by the description "Double Queen" room, this is actually 1 Queen and 1 Double bed (not 2 Queens).

We were pleasantly surprised with what a nice hotel property this was. The hotel is quite new - so everything is clean and the decor is modern looking. It is located right across from the lake and we had booked the lake-view room so we had a very nice view of the lake, the lighthouse and the waterslides. This is apparently the last season for the waterslides as it has been sold and will be torn down at the end of the season - so the view could improve even more if the space is turned into park/beach area by the town. There was construction going on at the front of the hotel on the street/sidewalks. We did not hear any construction noise while in the hotel - so soundproofing is very good. The construction only created a slight challenge to get into the parking lot. Our guest room was clean and bright. Air-conditioning worked very well. Our only recommendation was that there aren't any grab bars outside the tub in the bathroom. We found the tub to be slippery and difficult to step out of without something to grab onto. The Guest Service Agents that we encountered (Morgan and Andrea) were very awesome! Very friendly and accommodating. The room rate includes breakfast in an area just off the lobby. The area can be very busy and loud in the morning. Breakfast provided was okay - keeping in mind this is not a full service breakfast so the food is pre-made and served buffet style. Nevertheless - there was a good selection. I would recommend this hotel for those visiting Sylvan Lake. It's clean and convenient and the rate is fair for a Lake/Beach town that is often very popular and busy during the summer months.

Very lovely hotel. Hotel was within walking distance to almost every amenity. Pool and hot tub were very wonderful. Continental breakfast in the morning was very delicious. King room was very spacious, and the bed was super comfortable! Price was a bit steep, but I'd pay it again. STAFF WAS AMAZING! So friendly and professional.

This was a good hotel with the necessary amenities. The pool was a bit cold but otherwise, everything was good. The cost is nearly double of other hotels in Sylvan but it is the only one near the beach with a pool.

Located across the street from the beach, this small hotel was clean, and the staff were really friendly. The pool and hot tub are not large, but again the beach is across the street. The decor and amenities associated with Best Westerns were all present and accounted for. There was a slight glitch with the first room we were given, in that the bathroom lights didn't work. BUT, we were immediately given the room next door, which had a slightly nicer view, and they offered to help us with the move.

A group of 17 families stayed 2 nights for a sports tournament in Red Deer. We we treated very well by all staff. Rooms were a good size and very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great and endless beverages and cookies were appreciated greatly! Cost was reasonable, less that comparable hotels in Red Deer and the 15 drive to our tournament was no problem at all. No negatives!

We spent one night at the Best western in sylvan lake and were pleasantly suprised. The staff are extremely helpful and helped us store our bikes in a secure place. The rooms are very clean and beds are comfortable. The hotel is well situated to explore the town and the lake. Would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Beautiful, clean room with a view. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful time! The location is central to pier in Sylvan Lake and close to restaurants, the beach and the water slides.

Stayed for my first time, this week. Very restful visit which is what we we're looking for. Anne and Chelsea will provide awesome client service when you call in and on your check in. This is a really busy lake during the summer months, but I just discovered it's an awesome place to visit "off season". Great town, that still offers "small town" service and amenities.

When I was working in the oil field I stayed in so many hotels ! This one has the best breakfast from them all. Pool was clean , hot tub working great!, gym, room super clean. Staff super friendly and respectful A+ Great room view Lots of parking space , walking water park and lake across the street .

Stayed in this hotel for the first time, seriously would be a great place to stay during the summer months to enjoy Sylvan Lake. Rates are fair and on par. Very clean room and comfortable bed. Would stay here again.

Enjoyed a one night stay for business purposes. Clean building and friendly staff. The location suited our purpose, and we had a meeting right at the hotel that covered all required amenities. The hotel had a fitness room, swimming pool, and hut tub as well.

This is my hotel of choice in Sylvan. The rooms are large and the beds comfortable. Plenty of pillows. Free breakfast is included and they rotate a variety of choices each morning. Hotel is newer, modern and clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. Couldn't ask for more in a small city.

We were very happy in this hotel, we have stayed here twice and have had great service on both occasions. At one point we were invted somewhere and my husbands elderly mother did not want to come - the staff looked in on her and even made her some coffee! The breakfasts were lovely as were the gym and pool facilities, we would go back in a heartbeat.

Comfortable sized room, clean and well appointed. Friendly and well informed staff with timely check-in process. Cheerful dining space and reasonable breakfast choices. Located close to the lakeside and in walking distance to excellent restaurants.

We had a kids birthday party there and the 7 couples went. We were treated like gold by the staff. At night we basically took over the lobby dining area and the front desk went out of there way to make us feel comfortable and accommodated. They understand guest service

We had a comfortable bed, got a great rate on hotels.com and were pleased to have a hot breakfast included. Great location, close to where we were going. Great stay and I recommend it, and will stay here again, probably in the future.

We visited the Best Western for 4 nights in January. The room was well appointed and the bed was comfortable. A hot breakfast was included and it was really nice. There was a variety of choices from the hot entrees usually eggs with hash browns with either bacon or sausage to cereals, yogurts, fruit juice and coffee. They had a waffle maker of you wanted waffles. We want to recognize two staff in particular. Robert, at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. And Donna who works in the kitchen. On Sunday morning my wife and I went out to the car to find it buried under 12 inches of snow. Donna was parked nearby and she insisted on brushing off our car. We really appreciated her kindness. As we are from BC, we are not used to that much snow. These two staff members really enhanced our stay. Thank you.

This is a newer hotel in the area so it's clean and has up to date furnishings. We had a view of the water however the hotel has a building across the street blocking the view so the view is limited. It's the best you can get without compromising to an older hotel. Love the beds. The bathroom jacuzzi was terrific. Breakfast was good - the coffee very good. Surprised however that the TV was so small. Good access to the promenade (just across the street) where you can take long walks by the water. Just one block away from the hotel is the Sylvan Lake Steam & Spa (which I would have reviewed but I didn't see the listing) where I had a Steam Bath and Infrared Massage (fabulous place - highly recommended - also newer business - price was only $25 combined without GST) - perfect thing to do on a rainy day. The hotel pool was very small so this was a nice alternative as well. Red Deer isn't far so we shopped there during the day. I would stay here again.

I stayed here for two nights for business. Checkin and checkout was quick and efficient. The room was clean spacious and comfortable. Very nice bed and pillows. Hot breakfast was included. I will stay here again when I find myself in the area.

I was in Sylvan Lake for our Annual Gideon Fall Conference. I was treated very royally at the Best Western Plus Chateau Inn in Sylvan Lake, Alberta. The check in clerk was very gracious and helpful in recommending dining within walking distance. A full complimentary breakfast was provided each morning. I regretted that I did not have enough time to use the pool or exercise room.

We attended a Gideon provincial conference and found that there was adequate room to carry one the business needed. There was no stair option that allowed access to the main floor only to the outside. Slow elevators

It is a very clean hotel, new, helpful staff, gym room and small swimming pool. Right on the Lake shore Road, across street from the lake. I was there for convention, but i recommend it for families as well.

Great location on lakeshore drive. Nice, clean, hotel with good service. Typical hotel beds. I think the continental breakfast could be improved alot. Don't care for the powdered eggs omelette, or scrambled eggs.

Room was clean, bed was comfortable and well appointed. The location was lovely, close to major highway and a nice waterfront area. Plenty of parking, there was a standard continental breakfast available.

Great place, close to water slides and lake. Staff was friendly and helpful. Bug selection of breakfast food to choose from. My kids were pleased as it has an indoor pool, hot tub and exercise room. Highly reccommend

Very considerate and nice hotel, great for its proximity to the lake, restaurants and bars. lifts are a little slow but generally an excellent place to getaway quietly from work environment. Breakfast is very good with variety of choice.
