Best Western Plus Roland Inn & Suites

Went to San Antonio during easter weekend. The hotel was a great place to stay and only a few minutes drive away from the Riverwalk and downtown. The breakfast was great, you can make Texas waffles there too. The coffee machine is amazing, I would choose coffee from their machine over Starbucks any day, hands down, it was that good and fresh.

Had a one night stay for church conference. Chose this hotel because it was the closest one to the church.Clean rooms, excellent customer service at the front desk. Good variety for free breakfast. Will stay here again when coming to San Antonio.

The service we received was great. Everyone was nice and professional. The hotel was decorated for the holidays and the aroma of cinnamon throughout the hotel was very pleasant. The room was clean and spacious. The hotel was close to downtown and had easy access off the main highway. We will stay at this hotel again.

Love this hotel would definitely stay again. The staff was great and friendly and the breakfast was good. The rooms are clean. I was able to get a good nights rest after a long day in the road. Definitely recommend

Never go here because i saw hairs on my bed then the pillows were dirty and like rocks (very hard) then the breakfast smells like very bad and i ate breakfast and got a headache because of the smell and also the housekeeping didnt clean my bed sheets and there were still hairs but the location its ok, because its near sea world but the elevators are really old and sound strange and i felt that it was going to fall down and they gave us THE WRONG ROOM

Room was clean and spacious; the check-in and check-out was quick and easy. Overall, I had a very comfortable stay. The hotel was located in a good area, and I found it at a great price. Looking forward to future stays!

The hotel itself is modern and clean. The rooms was clean and everything functioned properly (bathroom fixtures, t.v. etc). Hotel staff weren't outwardly friendly nor unfriendly. No greeting when we arrived or any acknowledgement anytime we went to the front desk. Staff seemed to be there just to do a job. No daily room cleaning. Breakfast was fine each morning. Surrounding neighborhood wasn't very inviting. Homeless people were around. Almost all of the houses and even churches had bars on all windows. Quite a few boarded up and abandon houses.

Clean, quiet and not crowded. Staff very friendly and helpful breakfast is filling, hotel rate is reasonable, . depending on traffic 10 mins to downtown area and restaurants and mall. Would stay here again .

I am quite glad that I stayed in this particular hotel. It not only is a great location, but it was also a good price and very comfortable. I, at first, thought it only served a continental breakfast; however, I really liked the hot breakfast available. The staff, including the front desk clerks and the cooks, offer great quality service. I would, indeed, definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

We picked this hotel because of the amenities… the pool, washer/dryer to wash uniforms in between games ect…and unfortunately those things were out of order! some of our rooms weren't ready at 4pm on check in day…house keeping was told our friends checked out of their room before checkout time and we had to wait to go back into the rooms. The pool was open when we got there but was green. Beds were really comfy though! Manager said she couldn't give us a discount on this trip but didn't offer any future stays at a discount. We're disappointed with the customer service.

Water pressure was bad water turned off when showering, coffee machine was out of order, room was not clean hairs stains. Breakfast was ok. Location no good views. Front desk lady was not the best she did not help. Cookies were made but not put out.

Ar first I was skeptical because of the location or past of town here in San Antonio but upon arrival I was PLEASANTLY SURPRISED! Check in was a breeze. They had fresh chocolate chip cookies,in their clean beautiful lobby, for the kids (and myself) along with fresh cucumber lemon water. They also had coffee and tea for anyone who may need a pick me up or relaxing cup of tea. Upon entering the room, it smelled and looked clean and was set up perfectly. Plenty of bed room and it even had a lounger chair and of course a desk.Our coffee pot worked perfect and the iron and hair dryer as well. The fridge did take a little bit to cool but once it did it was excellent. The pool water was perfect but both nights the only issue I had was other guests not being considerate. It wasn't the whole time we were in the pool but that's not unusual at hotels. Aside from that it was perfect. FYI.. it's located right next to a Whataburger and there's a Family Dollar and Dollar General right down the street. They're also a BBQ place close by and it's located right off the freeway for easy access to anyplace you may need to go. I'll definitely be staying again! FYI.. I GOT A DISCOUNT WITH MY AARP membership!

I stayed three nights and would never stay at a best western. After the first night, I tried to discuss and show the issues to the manager and she was very very rude and did not care. We checked in at 11AM and they gave us a room that had week smoke (front desk validated and confirmed) then second room was not cleaned after previous guest checked out. Third room with super damp and chemical odor. At that time, it was midnight and they had no other rooms but said morning, they can shift us. The next day from early morning till 4pm, I went to front desk 4-5 times and everytime they sent me back saying none are available or clean and they will call me. At 4Pm, I went to the front desk and told if they dont have any then I will like to checkout but asked them not to charge for 2nd night. Manager entered at that point and said it is 4PM so she will charge me and said I should have come early. I told her that I have been there 4 times already but she was very rude and did not care and simply wallked away. Front desk was sympathetic but that manager was unbelievable. They shifted me to a less smelly room and I finished my stay. The whole experiance was terrible

Loved this hotel so much my last vacation that I specifically chose to stay here again this time. Nothing has changed. Will continue to choose this hotel for my future stays. Close to downtown which is another reason I chose it.

Excellent pricing for a good located clean hotel. Breakfast included and about average but was good. Good staffing with decent pool. Had a couple of issues, 1 light bulb was flickering and a outlet was unstable but would definitely recommend this hotel in San Antonio

Friendly and clean place. When we arrived it was cold and rainy during check-in and they had a station with hot cocoa and coffee. Breakfast was great with plenty of options. Would definitely stay again!

Only one person working during Thanksgiving break, which is understandable..but the room phone doesn't work & neither does the tv; meaning- if I needed service, I'd have to go all the way down from my room to the front desk(inconvenient). Breakfast was pretty decent, wish there were more options. TV? Works in one room but not the other room?(couch room/lounge area) That's pretty janky & weird. Really not a great place to stay if you're just wanting to chill in the room. Also, the wallpaper in the room I stayed in was peeling. AND final touch, sleeping on the couch...waking up ITCHY was not the best feeling...And there was no cleaning which is unfortunate.

Thumbs up for breakfast and friendly staff! Room is clean and spacious, which is enough for a family with kid(s). Location is not the best since it is miles away from major attractions. Wi-Fi service is very fast and reliable.

Make sure you fill out the form and hang outside the door if you keep your room to be cleaned and change of towels. Otherwise the room will be in the same condition when you left. Most likely you still can have clean towels from the front desk.

After I checked out I received a call saying the top sheet was missing (I checked in an hour earlier than usual, so I believe it was not put on to begin with) I told them there's no way, and to check again. An hour later, with no call back, they charged me 100 dollars. I called back and was told they couldn't help me because there was not a manager present. I called back in the morning, and the manager was even less competent and helpful. She was rude and had nothing to say other than “there was no top sheet, it was missing”. I made it clear I would dispute this and it was unacceptable. If there's any problems with your stay, this is not a group you'd want to work with.

Nice Hotel, convient to ATT Center. Need to keep all the breakfast food filled till the end especially on a busy Saturday morning after an event. Great value for such a nice Hotel. Would recommend to my family and friends

Our room wasn't ready until 5pm! Staff was very rude about it and didn't offer or do anything for the inconvenience. They did however try to charge us an additional $40 to get into a room that was ready. Location is great but not worth the hassle.

Almost not sure where to start. My aunt organized a family reunion for us and spoke with Anna back in the summer. She confirmed an $88 a night group rate for us. When we arrived, we were charged a higher rate. When I noticed the higher rate and asked about it at the front desk, the lady working the front desk was incredible rude and refused to admit the hotel made a mistake. My aunt came down and explained the situation and she still refused to give us the promised rate. Unfortunately, Anna no longer works there and could give us the rate and the hotel failed to give her proper paperwork guaranteeing the price. Even when she showed up in person on the way home from vacation this summer to make sure if was taken care of. So part of the group got the group rate, and part of us did not. She changed her story at least twice as to why some of us didn't get the group rate. The hotel never sent us confirmation back when the room was reserved back in July, even when we asked twice for a confirmation to be sent. Also, don't expect any room service when you stay here. If you want clean towels or your trash emptied, you will have to do it yourself. The washer on the 2nd floor is broke and the dryer on the 3rd floor is broke. So if you need to do laundry, you'll need to carry your wet laundry down a floor to dry it. The hotel itself was clean and the breakfast staff was very nice. But, be sure to get down there in plenty of time to get your food because they do not mess around with the time breakfast ends. Everything will be cleared out at exactly 9am.

My husband and I booked a weekend getaway and was very impressed with this Best Western Plus. It was very clean, updated, AC was nice and cold. I was very impressed. I don't normally leave reviews, but front staff was extremely helpful and friendly I had to share!

I picked this hotel to be out of the busy city, loved the location. We never heard traffic unless we were swimming in the pool. Plenty of parking, we felt safe with all the lights and cameras around. Staff was friendly. Bed was super comfy, loved the fridge and microwave in the room came in handy for leftovers. I would stay here again if I would return to this area.

Probably the cleanest motel I have ever stayed at. The front desk staff were beyond friendly and helpful. The room was huge. We had a room with a pull out couch and we're not expecting a whole other room. And the price was excellent.

This place was one of the only if not the only place that was above 2-3 stars on the map and it really did live up to it when we stayed there. And a double queen bed room was pretty cheap too for how good the hotel was!! The rooms blackout curtains worked great, the ac made the room nice and ice cold. The room also had a microwave, coffee machine, and fridge!! The fridge made drinks cold faster than the fridge at my own house. The staff was also super friendly and fun to talk to. The only small issue we had was with the water pressure being super low but hopefully that gets fixed, otherwise it's pretty close to feeling like a five star hotel !!!

Got charged for rooms when i had already cancelled 24 hours prior couldnt do nothing about it since no email confirmation was sent and still had to pay! Bathtub would fill up since it wasn't draining as well with sink and water pressure really low...All 3 nights there rooms were cleaned once and some family members never got theirs cleaned even after being requested. Breakfast was great overall.

Hotel was clean staff was awesome! Hotel seemed pretty new and as soon as you walked in you can smell a fresh sent. The sofa bed was not ready to use missing sheets. Water pressure was really low. Overall experience was fantastic

We had a great experience from check-in to check-out. We was greeted by a friendly staff and room qas very clean and up to date. We had no issues with anything our whole stay and everything was to our expectation.

We arrived late and didn't have a reservation. The guy at the front desk was so nice and got us a room that met our want..........and elevator was very nice since my husband has a bad knee. We only needed one night

First of all I was very pleased with the host, she was very friendly, very helpful and very patient with us. Hotel is located in a good area right off of the highway and not surrounded by other hotels and restaurants, made it seem very peaceful, parking was lighted enough to not have to worry about your vehicle, plenty of parking as well. Lobby was very clean and inviting, dining area was a good size and very organized and clean. Breakfast was amazing every single day!! Rooms were all a good size, very clean, beds were very comfortable. Noise from the highway was not bad at all, didn't have a hard time falling asleep. Pricing was decent compared to other hotels in the area. And location was not bad at all. Would definitely give this hotel 5 stars!!

Attractive property. Breakfast and dining environment is exceptionally clean and pleasant. Hotel Manager, Anna, is outstanding! Property is conveniently located in a quiet area and minutes away from downtown for activities, ie. Riverwalk, Alamo, shopping, etc. HINT: Be aware keys may deactivate daily as happened to us and other guests during our visit. Confirm by phone prior to your visit whether internet/printer services are open and available without limitations, ie, no printer. If cleanliness is your concern, confirm prior to your visit about housekeeping criteria, ie, do they clean rooms daily, every 4-days, etc. depending on the length of your stay. Although we were told you could put your name on a list for daily housekeeping, communication between Housekeeping and front desk was lacking and we only received room cleaning once in 5 days. Hotel and lobby however, were always clean and welcoming.

Staff needs to be up on who their members are and greet them accordingly. Should not rent rooms that are freshly painted. Breakfast was good and it was a good location. Loved going to the boardwalk during our stay,

Good breakfast options and easy access to freeway and downtown from the hotel. The only time I saw more than three people was during breakfast. This is my second time staying at this location and I would stay again.

This was a work trip where I stayed in San Antonio before leaving to go home. It was the cleanings hotel I've ever stayed at. I've stayed at many others but none of them meet the expectations that were met here.

BW is not my usual preference but this time they came through in the clutch. Courteous staff, clean suite, good breakfast. I will not hesitate to stay at this property again and will also put BW into my regular rotation of properties!

We stayed 2 nights. Lobby is welcoming and open. Staff was friendly and attentive. Rooms are very clean. Beds are clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good with a variety of foods. Waffles are in the shape of Texas. Pretty cool!

Great price location is decent staff is poor we'll short handed the attention to detail is what has me doubting my return but it got us through our trip it was our first trip to San Antonio and the stay was the worst part

Best price within a 15 minute drive to the river walk!! We stumbled across this amazing place by accident while looking for a hotel for the weekend! Everywhere we looked was fully booked, too expensive, or horrible quality. Thank you to the staff for turning our trip experience around for us!!

Our room was very comfortable, most particularly the bed. Every one of the staff were so friendly and nice with a special shout out to the lady who took care of the breakfast. She was so very focused on keeping the area spotless and everything well stocked. I'll certainly stay here the next time I'm in San Antonio.

It was a perfect place for my family trip in San Antonio. Room is clean and breakfast is so good. There is Texas waffle machine so I enjoyed every breakfast. Free wifi is available but sometimes disconnect. It's not a big deal.

The room was very clean. The staff needs to ask their manager before giving out wrong information. I was told my card would be charged when I got to the hotel but that was wrong. I was on my way to the hotel and they were trying to charge my card. I was traveling for a cheer competition. I was also told I could do late check out but that employee was wrong she should've checked with her manager if she was unsure. The lobby was nice and the breakfast was good.

Two days in a row asked for clean towels and the trash to be emptied and never done. Spoke to the same person at the desk and she assured me both times that it would be done. On the positive side, shower had good steady stream, was at a good height for a tall man and plenty of warm water. Also, air conditioning worked well.

The rooms need to be cleaned and repaired before every checking. If you have a new employee please sure there first day with a season employee. Find a better way for house keeping to know which rooms would like room service. Evey time the housekeeper was called she would never pick up, but would come to the front desk on her personal cell phone

Room wasn't too clean but nothing we couldn't live with for the price and location to AT&T. Rug wasn't vacuumed, dirty towels left behind, bedspread was stained and the water pressure is very low in the shower.

The hotel lobby was really clean. Receptionist or guest check in clerk was not the friendliest when I went down to ask for more towels. Made a reservation for 4 people there were only 2 wash cloths and dry towels. She gave me hand towels and said they didn't have any more wash cloths. She seemed very stingy with giving towels when requested. I thought for over $200 a night it should not be a problem. But I guess it was a problem. Also the door would not latch so I was afraid for me and my kids that someone would come in while we slept or while we were away. We actually had to slam the door and then check several times to make sure it latched. Also pool was really cloudy you could not see the bottom the whole time we were there, so I was skeptical about getting in or allowing my kids to get in. Kind of disappointed for the cost!

Check-in and first three days were fine. On the fourth day our wastebaskets and bathroom items were either full to overflowing (wastebaskets) or no longer available (bathroom items). Went to desk to ask for service. Gentleman at the desk asked me to wait while he prepared several keys. I did. He then started working at his computer monitor ignoring me standing there. I left. I returned with one of the overflowing wastebaskets and told hi I needed service. I place tow of the overflow items on the counter. He (Aiden) to me I could leave the hotel. Not exactly service with a smile. I don't need a mangers reply saying you are sorry for the incident on a "No Reply" email. Just do what you pst all over the hotel.

Very clean, enjoyable stay, and felt more safe here than at other hotels in this area. Wasn't expecting a nice greenery view from the front side of hotel, but it was definitely a plus! Better than cars, freeway. traffic and noise which is typical at most places like this. Quiet and tucked away. Next to Whataburger if you need something to eat.

I was in the area for the night before I finished my trip to Houston and I always stay at best westerns. Some are hit or miss but this one was amazing! It's indoors so at night you have to use a key to get in, which I love, and the rooms were spacious and clean. It was a little pricy but I did stay on a Friday night so that's understandable.

Room was cleaned but poor quality of toiletries and very bad breakfast. We were served with old food at the beginning and then later on they prepared some fresh eggs. By then we all ate old stuff. When we told the server that the eggs were not fresh, initially she tried to hide the fact with unrealistic reason but eventually she admitted that Mr. Patel (Manager) told them not to throw the unused eggs from yesterday but serve it at the beginning.

Everything was just great. Rosie was the best. Very helpful, and wanted to make our stay great for us Being that this was a vacation for our 52 anniversary and being stuck at home for so long because of the virus. Again thanks Rosie and Best Western.

This was a welcome rest for our travels. It was a beautiful hotel with a lovely room for us. The room was clean and oh so comfortable for there weary travelers. We will definitely keep our eyes open for another Best Western when we travel.

Not a good showing, Best Western. We are BW fans. This was the worst experience we have had and it wasn't close. Housekeeping did not follow COVID protocol. No masks. No gloves. No nothing. Terrible check in. Breakfast options were dismal and it wasn't because of COVID restrictions. No power on one side of the bed. No water pressure. No hair dryer. No room phone. I can't believe I paid over $120 a night for this experience.

The hotel was clean, friendly and helpful checkin. the problem I had was water pressure. I had a colleague stay there as well and she had the same problem and checked out. she could not stand another night of not getting a decent shower. I mean there was hardly any water coming out of shower! there is nothing worse than when your tired and needing a good shower to go to bed and rest and your in the shower for 45 minutes to get a bath is very frustrating. the hotel was clean. typical hotel snacks for breakfast and coffee.

I had a terrible experience that was not handled appropriately. On the 2nd night I was staying here, my car was broken into. The back window was smashed in and completely shattered, and two of my suitcases were gone. I was moving from Illinois to Texas so I had my entire wardrobe in those suitcases. When I informed the front desk about the situation, they did not react in any way. They just told me there is nothing they can do. There were no cameras in the parking lot and they refused to check the other cameras for any suspicious vehicles carrying out two really big suitcases. Then when the person in the front desk came out to look at the damage, he told me he was aware that car was broken into because he had to clean the glass up that morning. I thought it was really strange and unprofessional that he did not inform me or the police that a car was broken into on the hotel property. The hotel had my car information from when I checked in. Now I am left with absolutely no wardrobe in a state thousands of miles away. I do not recommend staying at a place that is so irresponsible with other people's belongings.

We had to wait to the last minute before we could figure out what area we needed to get a hotel in San Antonio. At first we were not sure of the area or the hotel. I have to say I was very very impressed especially when the hotel was 8 minutes from where we had to be in the morning. Researching for a hotel at 1:00am was a challenge however the hotel we stayed at was very nice rooms were very nice . I thought the hotel was new i was told the hotel has been there for 2 years you would think it was just opened. I would recommend it to anyone needing a place at the last minutes. Whataburger was in the same parking lot at the Best Western nice perk. Staff was very nice.

At 1:49 a.m. on 12/9/20, I was awakened to Police pounding on a door, just down the hall. I ooen the door, and the Police wave, as if, this us some normal occurrence. I call the front desk, asking why the Police are banging on that door and the response was "strange guests." Well, what's more strange? Being awakened at that hour at all, let alone by Police, or tge fact that they'll rent a room to "strange guests" or what's even more bizarre, why do yiu call Law Enforcement on people you merely deem strange? Now, they're running in snd out of that same room, I can hear? The night before, above us, sounded like some team of plumbers (a guess) plunging the toilet? Ugh! I met the owners, just after check in. Although they seemed like nice people, it takes more than that. Some weird bug, was also in the bed, when we got in tonight.

By far the greatest and cleanest best western I've stayed. Extra clean rooms. Services are excellent here. Easy access to everything. I will defiantly recommend this hotel for whoever reading this review

Despite the fact that signs announcing the mask mandate are visible from wherever you stand in the hotel lobby, the front desk staff wasn't wearing a mask when we checked in (around 6pm), and took a good minute or two to dig around and find a mask. When he finally got it on, it was under his nose. Furthermore, there was no enforcement for mask wearing among guests. If you hop on google right now you can see that somewhere in the ballpark of 300,000 americans have died an early death from this pandemic. It's so simple. We just have to wear our masks and people almost entirely stop dying.

We booked for 3 nights, moving to San Antonio for work. Arriving late during night, at check in we found condoms in drawer and the shower was not even clean. With only 3 hours left to sleep before work, I could report to front office only next day (phone in room not working). The person at desk just told me I had to report that before! No apologize. I am an hospitalier, and told him that was not a good problem resolution at all. I was working so I was not able to come before. He then told me he will call the police (LOL) and I answered: why because I am not satisfied with overall and I informed you I will escale to corporate? All this without forgetting a shower with no pressure, a double charge on credit card, and the night shift gentleman with no grooming, no uniform, dressing grunge style ... not that I care the style but not standards for this brand! I do not recommend at all, plus around hotel landscape dirty and very bad area of the city!

With Covid 19 going on you would expect rooms to be cleaned very well. The shower walls and bathtub had a dozen or so short black hairs stuck all over, pretty sure were pubic hairs. Also the coffee maker had a used filter pack still inside the machine, so that definately did not get cleaned either. Room only had 1 wash rag, hand towel and bath towel with no bathmat either.

Definitely recommend. And looking forward to staying here again for my next visit. They are taking all the safety measures to ensure everything is clean and sanitized. Loved staying here. And it's next to a whataburger, so that's a plus.

in the breakfast area they have more ants than food. No butter no bread no orange juice no jelly nothing work fine. I stayed three days and I could never enjoy a good breakfast. Bad guest service.....

My husband and I like to take weekend getaways not far from home, and San Antonio is a prime location for a get away. We don't like paying the Riverwalk prices for our hotel stay. This hotel is 2 exits away for the downtown destinations exit, so very close to the Riverwalk, La Villita, Riverwalk Mall, Alamo area. Rooms are nice, and so is the staff. We've not had any issues with our stays there. The complimentary breakfast includes eggs, sausage/bacon, biscuits/gravy, waffles, and assorted pastries. Good selection!

We recently stayed here during the San Antonio Stock Show. There are not many options on this side of town near the AT&T Center. This hotel appears to be new. It really sparkles. Staff was super helpful. The hotel had everything that we needed. There is also a new Whataburger next door which was extremely convenient (and the only restaurant near by). The only problem that we had at this hotel is that it took a very, very, very long time to get hot water. Had to run the water for about 5 minutes to get hot water. Otherwise, everything was great.

I got exactly what I asked for. The rooms were spacious and clean. The heater wasn't on but someone came quickly and fixed the problem within minutes. Check in was nice and quick and check out even faster.

It's always a great experience staying here. The staff is really nice and helpful and the rooms are always keep fresh. The fitness room is a really nice one. I'm always able to get my workout done with no issues.

Area of hotel was well lit. The only issue we had was pulling the sheets back, we found multiple hairs on the fitted sheet. We called the front desk and were brought fresh sheets. After changing the sheets we put the old ones in the hallway. Other than that everything else was nice.

The hotel itself is wonderful. Dark, quiet, spacious, clean rooms. Wonderful staff. Local dinner options limited. If when your traveling you can stay out through dinner and then go to the hotel this is a great choice.

Great place to stay if you don't need or want to stay downtown or on the Riverwalk. This is nearby with easy access. You can be downtown in 10-15 minutes by either the freeway or back streets. The property is new, so everything is fresh, clean, and visually attractive. Easy check-in, good free parking, and free breakfast. The water pressure in the shower could have been better. I stayed there for 2 nights while attending the Texas UIL Boys' State Basketball Tournament in the Alamodome.

Had a great stay at the BW on Roland. The environment & staff were great! Thanks Tony for being so helpful and friendly! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling on business or pleasure.

The lobby and room - furniture wise - were perfect. Everything was newer and looked great. The room was nice, but somewhat dirty. There was black globs hanging from the ceiling. We avoided walking underneath them. The breakfast was lacking. This hotel is in the middle of nowhere. If you are hungry, after checking in, you are going to have to drive a ways to get something unless you like Whataburger (which we did and it was good). So - yeah - average stay - probably would not stay again.

The pictures online is exactly what the rooms look like. I enjoyed my stay alot. The beds are so comfortable. I love that there was a pic tv, microwave, a refrigerator, and a good size bathroom. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Hard beds, chair and couch in the suite. Put a pillow on plywood and rest just as well. There are many hotel chains using the same method of using bedding and furniture that may last forever against the idea of comfort for guests. If one chain would set themselves apart and make the stay comfortable, they may well set themselves above all others.

It was a planned family trip. We were all exhausted and slept so peacefully here. It felt better than home. No chores no worries. Just a dip in the pool and fun with the family. Loved my stay. Wish it was longer!

We needed to stay in this area for business reasons. The hotel is fairly new. People were friendly. Breakfast was decent. Our main complaint is that our room smelled like mildew. We stayed 4 nights and it was all we could do to stay in the room. We didn't tell them until check out. The receptionist said it was probably the a/c filter and they would change it.

Reserved a King with roll in shower. Got there it had a tub. After 3 tries they moved us to a double queen. After driving 12 hours that was rather aggravating. First day they didn't clean our room, what's up with that??? No hand held shower wand in handicap roll in shower. Made bathing my disabled daughter difficult. Second room was to have a shower it had a step in shower, disappointing.

New hotel very well kept, modern design, very clean and very well equipped. Very nice staff going out of their way to help. We decided to stay a second night and it was worth it. Very good breakfast with a nice selection of yogourts, pastries over a fresh and good coffee. Clean room and comfortable bed.

•My vehicle was broken into and my personal belongings were stolen. Hotel staff refused to take or give me the information to speak with a manager. •Staying at this hotel: •You risk the chance of your vehicle will get broken into. •The staff will hinder any attempt to reach management •You will be treated inhumanly after you give your right after you pay. Is it worth it? Be the next casualty if you don't believe me.

The staff it's very kind and always trying the best to take care of our needs. The hotel it's new or at least still looks and smells like it. The other great feature it's that nobody smokes inside the hotel.

Had our Family Reunion in San Antonio. We had a great stay at the Best Western Plus. The facility is new. Really like the layout and suites for our Family, which was over 50 family members. The staff did an EXCELLENT job accommodating our family. especially MARISSA! Special thanks to everyone for making this a great family vacation. The staff was awesome. We had a huge party of 50+ and everyone was very satisfied with the service and the accommodations. The staff was courteous, and polite. Marissa was the best, she was very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. The staff did go out of their way to make sure we all were happy. We would definitely stay again.

We staid here for two nights. Rooms are very clean and spacy. You can hear the highway which is directly in front. They do have cribs. Breakfast is not the best. the service is very good. Location is a bit offside. There is only a fast food chain nearby nothing else.

My Family and I were impatient to come to San Antonio because of its history and it's River Walk. and tried to find a place not too close to all the happenings, This is the Perfect location, the hotel looks great, The lobby is very nice but the way its run leaves a lot to be desired. the Breakfast was a Joke three of the four days we were there things kept running out and there was nobody to even ask about it. one morning the coffee machine was not dispensing regular coffee and my wife went to the reception desk to ask for help, and was told by the clerk that the machine was frozen and to use the decaf instead (whatever that meant) never heard that in my life. I am a best western rewards member and love to stay at their hotels. I was struggling to not leave a somewhat negative review, but realized that this can be a wake up call to such a great place with such greater potential.

Stayed here for one night while driving through Texas. It is a nice hotel, with clean and large rooms. A bit outside of the city centre, so we drove in to the city and walked along the river for a while.

Everything was good expect breakfast, always ran out if breakfast. Staff were so sweet and helpful, rooms were clean, always provided enough towels, bathrooms were clean, have laundry rooms to wash clothes, pool was also good.

This is new hotel and is very nice. Walk in shower is very much appreciated. Drapes on the windows are very much improved with black out shades. I would highly recommend this hotel for a San Antonio stay. Convenient to everything.

this room was not cheap, but the way everything was broken you would think it was. Ants in the window, shower wand not working, no hot water, and a breakfast that was not as good as what you get at McDonald's.

We had a couple issues from our booking agent app where the room we reserved was not available but the reps there upgraded us to a bigger roon at no additional charge. The place was beautiful, inviting, spacious, and had 2 different areas with 2 Tvs, coffee machine, fridge, amazing bathroom, ironing board and iron, hair dryer, etc. We had a small problem with our door and again, another rep checked on everything, fixed it, and walked us to the room to ensure everything was great! Morning breakfast was to die for && their was even a sunday morning service. Pool was great, linens were great, and overall experience was A+~

Deborah, very unfriendly. She yelled at my husband to move out of the area where the coffee station is, telling him dogs are not allowed. Really!!! (Service Dog not allowed)!!! The door latch lock was very loose there for it was pointless to even use it. Person across the hall from us had a dog(s) that barked all night, with people coming and going it barked every time someone walked by, Called down to the front desk but no one was there to even answer the phone. Bath tub was moldy around the caulking of the tub. Hair in the sink and in the tub. Shower curtain had black marks on it. The bed was very uncomfortable, got up the next morning with a horrible back ache. Internet was very slow if any at all.

Large spacious rooms, adequately equipped. Peaceful nights sleep but the beds are feeling a little past their best and a little uncomfortable. Breakfast is cereals, waffles, bacon or sausage [which are really greasy] and eggs, along with tasteless potato chunks and fruit juices. Pool is there but never used as far as I could see. BW Roland is okay, nothing more than that. Single use plastic cutlery is however unforgivable in these more enlightened times and maddens me.

Best western near San Antonio was a great place to stay for our visit. It was located close to the expressway. There are resturants close by. Rooms were clean. Breakfast area was nice. The staff were always busy keeping it clean and stocked. Nice pool but too cool for us to use.

I could sleep, limited bfast option, pleasant checked in minor issue during checked out. Overall clean just a bit dusty so i snezzed so much when i am in the room, area is great it depens on your destination but make sure you lock all doors dont leave anything in the car... its a new hotel so it looks nice ...

Nice hotel, good location, fairly new, reasonable price, BUT our room had the hot and cold water lines to the sink reversed, quite a bit of traffic noise, no towel rods, breakfast was not good and they kept running out of food—especially eggs! The pool is outside, so the months it can be used are limited. No hot tub.

So, I'm in town for a Spurs game. I make reservations a month in advance and ask for high floor please, I get there and giveg first floor. But, The room was okay AT FIRST GLANCE so I get over it. The next morning I get ready to take shower THERE IS HAIR EVERYWHERE, I call front desk to show them so they can see. Also I an African American woman and the hair clearly is not, I even take pictures. My room was 200.00 that night, although they send someone to clean shower, it now makes me question the cleancle of the entire room. No discount or anything offered at all. not sure we would consider staying again. I wish could post these pictures so you can see the hair.

Very clean and they are very friendly, rooms very clean and comfortable have breakfast fresh the hotel is almost new I like to much and I will come again with my family the housekeeping make good job and work hard every day

Our visit was a very short one nightery to attend a concert at AT&T Center. Uber to get there was quick and maybe about $10. However, DON'T rideshare to AT&T because to get out took over an hour. Back to the hotel. No issues but can't report on the shower. Easy access to freeways to get back north. Only issue was breakfast. It is served at 6 but wasn't ready when we went down at 6. We really just wanted a very quick bite and then hit the road, but nothing was ready except, thankfully, coffee which was average and did the trick. But when I stuck my head in the back to ask if we could just grab some fruit or something, the staff member had dropped a serving utensil on the floor then was just putting it back in the tray for use. Maybe he took it out and didn't use it when he saw I caught him? I would hope so but probably not.

The check inn was fast. The staff was very friendly and professional. The hotel is new beautiful Lobby. They have elevators. The rooms are very nice. The beds were very comfortable. The showers have good water pressure. This was just a great place to stay.

We stayed here for 3 nights. I wasn't impressed at all! First of as l snd most important, the room wasn't very clean. Hsir from previous guests, dirty toilet seat and more. The pillows were hard and not comfortable at all and blanket was thin with no extra in the room. Our room was cleaned pretty badly on the 2nd day and on the third day to our surprise when we came back at 10pm thst it wasn't cleaned. My husband needed to go and take towels and soap from the reception. No apologies, no offer to compensate. Also, the window (no option to open it) was not sealed appropriately and cold wind came into the room. I've been to many Best Westerns and this one is one of the worst and I have no idea why it's PLUS. If you are visiting San Antonio, which is a beautiful city, find a different motel!

Great play to stay. Nice and quiet with a friendly staff Close to all amenities and parking was easy. They are pet friendly and that can be hard to find in San Antonio. If you need a place to stay while exploring the river walk check it out.

Let us stay a bit later after checkout time because we woke up late. Manager also took the time to help jumpstart our car the next morning. Our car battery had died because I left the inside light on. BIG shoutout to him for helping us get going this morning. 5 stars!!!!

The staff were friendly and the motel is a great place to stay if you are attending an event at the AT&T Center. It's only a few miles away with easy access to I-10. We had two rooms. One with roaches and one without. I prefer the one without. There were three of us and none of us had a good night's sleep. Part of that was due to the beds and part was due to the thought of roaches crawling on you and getting in your luggage. They advertised breakfast was included with the room. There was no meat and the eggs and potatoes were cold. We walked next door to Whataburger. I requested an early check-in and they confirmed they could do it. We got there and the rooms were not ready. They poked around and after a short while were able to find one. We had to check into the other room later in the day. After saying all that I would still book there again because it was probably just one of those days. I still think it's a pretty good property.

Had a great business stay at this location! Newly built, very clean rooms, friendly staff, and great self serve breakfast. The gym was not very big, but very clean and neat with just enough to get a good workout. Room was clean and comfortable. The location was decent but not much within walking distance except whataburger. Right off the highway so you coikd be north or south in a minute or two. Definitely worth the stay and would gladly choose this again!

Some of the other hotels I looked at nearer the river were much more expensive and honestly I'd choose this one again and again it's in a great location. Close enough to down town and in a great location for other things like the caves as well. Comfortable beds and a nice sized room. Clean. Friendly staff.

This hotel was perfect for the location, only about 10-15 minutes away from the heart of downtown San Antonio. We did have to take an Uber from our hotel to The Riverwalk due to how crazy the traffic was because the San Antonio Marathon was that weekend. I myself did compete in it, and this hotel was the perfect resting place to prep for it. The walk-in shower was gorgeous and worked phenomenal. The bed was the right amount of comfy it was perfect for our liking. The check-in was flawless and simple took maybe 4 minutes. All of the staff was friendly and the breakfast was deluxe for a continental breakfast. The TV was quality good picture quality and sound was adequate. My only complaint was that if you do get a room next to I-10 you will hear traffic at night, but the sound of the A/C covered it up in our room. The only real complaint is where you are suppose to turn into the parking lot, none of the lights were on and the actual sign for the Hotel was not lit up. A very minuscule complaint. Overall phenomenal place to rest one's head!

The staff are well trained and eager to assist in directions to the downtown area. They provided an easy map to use and even provided some suggestions as to where to eat or enjoy a cocktail. San Antonio has so much to offer.

This hotel was great! Check in was a breeze no problems. This was my first time staying at a Best Western. The breakfast was okay I can't really complain. There's a Whataburger next door. Also very convenient to the highway.

We travel often is our diversion and went several times to San Antonio but I had not been in this, Best Western Roland Hotel very nice, absolute cleanliness, breakfast of very good quality, super clean rooms, excellent professionalism and especially the service Front desk girl called Maritza super attentive, professional I give her a 10 star.

Overall hotel was clean and everything was in good working order. The only issue we had was the lights on the driveway were out at night which made locating the hotel and being able to pull into the driveway after dark.

We loved everything about this hotel. From the spacious rooms to the big dining breakfast area. Love the parking and must say we will definitely be staying here again when we are in San Antonio. Will recommend to all of our friends and Family. Love this hotel.

This hotel was amazing! You can tell it was recently built because it has the “new hotel smell”. Everything is new, functional and clean. The only issue I had was with the fridge in my room. It didn't work. Everything else (the included gym, parking, early breakfast, location, staff) was A++! I definitely intend on staying at this location again next time I'm in San Antonio.

Excellent customer service. Very clean and quiet/peaceful hotel. Excellent rooms that are very comfortable. Great breakfast options. Five miles from downtown San Antonio. One of the best hotels we've stayed at in a while. Even my husband would highly recommend and he's VERY picky.

In town for a golf tournament. Check in great. After getting to room, someone else tried to enter and would have had it not been for the security bar on door. I called front desk about this matter. They said it was probably housekeeping. To this day, I do not know exactly who tried to enter room. Housekeeping personnel normally knock before attempting to enter a room. This did not sit right with me, as I could have been undressed, etc. and whoever it was, would have just barged in, with no notice. This is bad policy. Bed was comfortable, room was clean & nicely decorated. The exception was a few crumbs left on floor from prior guest, that apparently housekeeping missed.Don't waste time on most of the breakfast items. The majority of the breakfast items were not good. I did not try waffles or oatmeal. But rest assured, pre-fab eggs,frozen potatoes, hard biscuits, watery gravy & so called sausage were terrible. Stick to breakfast pastries, and yogurt. Coffee and juice were good.

A very pleasant experience. The staff was always very cordial. One of the elevators was not in operation, but the hotel is in very good condition. The rooms very clean and spacious. Includes breakfast, which was very pleanty and very good. Very close to the freeway. I just enrolled with Best Western and apparently there are many benefits.

It was a nicw hotel, had a great time when i came down here to see the riverwalk. Even tho it was rainy the weekend. The breakfast was good and the staff was very friendly. Would recommend to everyone.

We came down here for my brothers graduation and once we walked in we were treated good all the way to when we checked out. The breakfast was okay. The checkout lady was nice. Have a nice stay. Would totally recommend.

I was here at this property this weekend, I was very impressed the staff was friendly and very helpful with any questions we had as we are new to San Antonio. Our room was impeccable. The beds were very comfortable. I will definitely come back to this property next time I'm in town. This is the only property I will be staying at.

This is probably one of the cleanest hotels I have ever been to. Everything was spotless, beds and pillows were very comfortable and all at a great price. I had a late check in and they actually waited for me to lock the doors for the night. I would highly recommend this hotel any day. Thank you Best Western Roland!

Excellent staff they assisted with all my needs. The hotel was very clean and quiet. Couldn't even hear the kids swimming and I was located above the pool area. They have space to accomadate large trucks with cameras all around the grounds.

it vas a clean and quite hotel. stayed for 3 days, everyone was kind and comprehensive about me and my family checking in early. they had very tasty breakfast and a great pool. my kids loved it and did not want to leave. I highly recommend this hotel for your stay.

This past weekend my husband and I decided to get away from home. We search a couple of hotels but this property caught my eye. It was very beautiful, clean and beat of all all the staff was very professional. The breakfast was very hot and delicious. I liked that they had a variety to chose from. The pool is right outside from the breakfast room. The rooms was very clean and it smells new. I have been reading a couple of reviews and I don't think they are fair with the staffing they all go out of their way to make you feel comfortable.

This hotel is brand new very modern from the lobby all the way to the room I loved the pool outside very clean and large the breakfast was fantastic a lot of variety of food. I will definitely stay at this hotel again and again.

Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience. I chose this place because of the apparent good reviews. They had terrible customer service. They told us we were in the wrong place and did not have a reservation without checking our confirmation number. They did not have a room available for us. They offered us a one-bed bedroom for four people. It happened to be on a crowded weekend, so we had two people stay and the other two stayed elsewhere. Breakfast was not fully cooked. And to top it off, they charged us twice for the room. I was unable to write a review because they marked us as a "no show", instead of informing they did not have a room available for us. Avoid the hassle and don't go there.

We stayed at this property and we were extremely happy with the whole experience we had at the hotel. The hotel staff was extremely pleasant. I will stay here again the next time we are in San Antonio.

The hotel was not in river walk, instead it had free parking, good breakfast and peaceful atmosphere. We really enjoyed. If you have kids, I recommend this hotel to you. The pool was small but very clean.

I am pretty picky in where I stay, at Best Western everything was amazing and very clean. They serve really good breakfast.We would definitely be back if we ever come back to San Antonio. I highly recomend it.

We stayed for two nights during our cross country trip and loved this place. It is a quick drive to downtown and much less expensive than the hotels there. It is brand new, clean, and the breakfast, along with customer service, are outstanding. Would definitely plan to stay here again.

My family and I stayed at this hotel for a quick weekend getaway to San Antonio. The property is new, and smells like a brand new house. The front desk staff was wonderful, and the free breakfast was awesome as well. The location is great, it is maybe a 10 minute drive to downtown, and is right down the street from the famous Big Lou's Pizza!

Enjoyed our stay there. Everyone was very nice and welcoming. Rooms and closet are very roomy. Breakfast is free and different each morning. I highly recommend for big families. They have a gym and of course a pool. I will be staying there every time I visit San Antonio ??

We ended up staying several nights on short notice after our original hotel room arrangements turned out not as advertised. There's nothing like a dirty, run down hotel experience to make you appreciate one that is new, clean, and ran by folks who care about the details. What can I say that hasn't already been said by others? Both common areas and our room were fresh and well maintained. Housekeeping did an excellent job. Checking in was friendly and efficient, and we were always greeted while we were coming and going through the day. Fresh coffee, lemon water and cookies were available throughout the day. We loved the free breakfast and appreciated that there were several choices. The food was hot and replenished regularly. We enjoyed the large common dining area and used it often at different times through the day. For us, the location of this hotel was perfect. As others have noted, it's not near shopping or much in the way of restaurants, but this was great for us as we were heading in all directions through the week anyways. It didn't take much time at all to get anywhere. We will definitely be back the next time we are in San Antonio!

This hotel is fairly new and very well kept property. The check in clerk was exceptionally helpful on Sunday, June 10. She assigned us to a very nice, quiet, clean room. The bed was comfortable as well as the room on an exceptionally hot day. We stayed two days and we were surprised after spending the day sight seeing that our room had not been serviced. Apparently a lot of housekeeping people called in. The clerk made it right by putting us in another serviced room next door. The room was also discounted. This property deserves and receives my "hard-to-come-by" KUDOS.

Nice, new facility. Large rooms and great breakfast. Pool was very dirty and unacceptable. It was disappointing for the kids. We had to wait for a room to be cleaned before we could check in. Did not receive response to my email to customer service regarding our concerns during our stay. Disappointed in lack of customer care from Best Western.

Beautiful hotel!! Very clean, very accommodating! Only had one issue that I feel needs to be addressed. Upon checking out early morning on 6/1/2018 the employee did not respond while repeatedly ringing the bell at the desk and I could hear him Very Loud and Clear SNORING in the back. New hotel in quiet area, close to downtown San Antonio and Mission Trail. Staff was very friendly. The hotel and property were clean and orderly. I would recommend this location for anyone who wants to be close to tourist activities, but not stay in the thick of things.

Best Place to stay for overnight or for an extended stay. The place is very clean and well managed. Tha staff is very friendly and well trained. The loction is ideal for closeness and yet far enough way to excape to heavy volume of out of town visitors.

Cleaning service stole money during cleaning and I was charged a different rate EVERY SINGLE NIGHT ranging from $30-$295 of my 21 night stay. Evening and overnight staff were very pleasant and professional.

We stayed two nights during our visit to San Antonio. The staff and the rooms were excellent. It was so nice to stay in a room for more than one night. We stayed in some nice places that we had to leave the next day and some not so nice places we were glad to leave the next day. This is one we would gladly visit again.

This is a great hotel. Everything was super clean since the time you go into the property. Clean parking lot, excellent lobby, nice breakfast, and the room was perfect. This a well maintained property, I will comeback in my next trip to San Antonio. It is close to downtown, Freeman Coliseum and AT&T Center. The best part...there is a Whataburger next to this Best Western.

Hotel is new and in good shape, relatively quiet. Nice staff, esp. Deborah. Breakfast is excellent and free. Besides a Whataburger nothing is out there. We took a Uber taxi to go to Alamo. So all in all a very affordable and good place to stay.

The meeting room is large, comfortable, and can be arranged as the customer requests. The staff was cheerful, friendly, and accommodating. They provided bottled water for attendees, and coffee was always available, as was hot water for tea. Those of us who stayed over as hotel guests enjoyed our rooms as well. They were larger than expected, and the beds were super comfortable. Checkout was simple and quick. I highly recommend the Roland Inn for business or vacation travelers. Kids will love the Texas-shaped waffles.

The hotel was clean and modern. The hotel staff was super friendly and helpful! There was fresh eggs for breakfast which is rare. The room was also amazing! I would have given this hotel a 5 however the water pressure in the shower was terrible. It took forever to get all of the soap rinsed off. I would definitely stay here again once the water was fixed. We did bring this issue up to the manager. She stated it was being worked on and offered to reduce our bill. Unfortunately we booked through expedia so she was unable to apply the discount since the room had already been paid in full. We greatly appreciated the offer however!

What a wonderful experience! Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The rooms were great, the meeting room had all the amenities. I'm so excited that it's so close to our Church, we will definitely use them again.

Check in- Easy and quick- front desk staff was very nice. Room- appeared brand new. VERY clean except Bathroom floors were dirty and sticky. Beds- hard- good only if you prefer a firm mattress. View from room- terrible BUT it was quiet and spacious. Pool- too cold to swim. The pool itself needed a good cleaning and the door to the pool needs to be locked or key card access since a small child could easily run outside and fall into the pool if not careful. Breakfast buffet- a lot of variety- muffins, toast, pastries, English muffins, oatmeal, 3 types of fresh fruit, eggs and sausage, yogurt, waffles, cereal, juices, coffee and tea Staff- friendly and helpful. Gym- adequate with 1 bike, 1 elliptical, 2 treadmills and some weights with 3 weight machines and medicine balls but they need to have floor mats for stretching and hand sanitizer. I used the towels to create my own mat. location- right off highway- close to downtown- 5-7 min drive. great location.

Hotel was nice and clean great breakfast..but what made the stay better was the amazing staff..everyone was nice and willing to help. front staff was what made the stay amazimg Melinda is a rock star..

Stayed the night of Thur Apr 12 while my son was doing a college visit to Trinity the next morning. Just a 9 minute drive to Trinity. The little things that mattered: Fantastic front desk - welcoming as soon as I entered the door, cheerful, efficient and helpful with useful info. 24 hr coffee (tasty), tea and lemon water station. Cavernous clean modern lobby. Super clean, oversized standard room. Quiet - never heard another guest above, below or beside. Got deep sleep in comfy bed with plenty of extra pillows. Better than average included breakfast that starts early (6am). Room rate was $30-$50 cheaper than other comparable properties. Newer building, nice area and a pool to boot. The only reason I would not stay here again is if I had to be within walking distance of the Riverwalk. Even so, you're still only a reasonable uber away. If you don't need closer proximity to downtown, this Best Western is a great option.

Outstanding! Clean and very good breakfast. The staff was very nice and helpful. Rooms were first class. It's a new hotel with a comfortable bed. The workout facility had quality machines including cables and treadmills.

New property, great room and excellent customer service from the desk. Lobby was very nice and breakfast area was clean and breakfast was standard but nice and all hot. Room was great comfortable king bed and the room has a fridge, microwave, coffee maker. We were on the highway side of the property but noise was not an issue. Very close to the downtown attractions, only eating close to the property is a What A Burger. Nice pool but only 4 1/2 feet deep, great to cool off in.

We were a family group of 9, in town for the Final 4. This property was a bargain. Great room rates and good location for downtown, river walk, alamodome, and airport. Service, decor and comfort all well above expectations.Noise from nearby freeways detracted a bit from use of pool area, but inside it was quiet.

This newly renovated hotel is an excellent value. Wonderful breakfast and great fitness center. Only 10 minutes from downtown where my conference was held. I like that a Whataburger is next door for cheap meals.

My boyfriend and I decided to take a trip to San Antonio to celebrate our anniversary. I decided to go with this hotel since it seemed very nice and clean and was only a 10 minutes drive to downtown. We loved staying here. The staff was very friendly, but there would be a couple of things I would change. I wish there was a daily assortment of different breakfast foods offered, the bedding wasn't too plush, and the water pressure was horrible, but overall our stay was very good.

This hotel was spotless. I didn't wake up early enough to enjoy the free breakfast but was glad they have free coffee and fruit infused water on the counter ready to go.Everything was great except the shower. They have soft water and there wasn't enough water pressure to take a quick shower. It took a long time to get the soap off with the soft water, and the water pressure was weak. Great mattress, slept like a baby!

We enjoyed staying here. We came for pleasure and found it to be a nice and clean hotel for the weekend. It is close to the AT&T center. Note: restroom lock didn't work, and there's not much eateries close by, but other than that, it was worth the stay.

The hotel is new and easily accessed from Interstate 10. I highly recommend the Hotel and will stay again. The young lady who checked us in was Outstanding. She was very helpful and knew the area, she provided us great directions and helpful hints on our stay in San Antonio.

My wife and I stayed overnight last week as had morning business meetings next day. Checked TripAdvisor and read good things about this hotel so decided to give it a shot. WOW... glad we did as its a great place and everything seems brand new. This best western is far superior to any best western we have ever stayed in. The hotel is right next to a Whataburger even though it's more like a luxury hotel vs roadside Inn. Quick check in as hotel was not very busy. Nice lobby, rooms very nice with large windows that have two pull down shades that made it so dark we overslept and missed breakfast that ended at 9. We were checking out and expressed our disappointment that we missed breakfast so the lady at the front desk went into the kitchen and brought us pastries and banana which was nice of her. Location is about 5 minutes to downtown

New hotel. All the comforts of home. Great service from the time we checked in until checkout. No room safe but they have safety deposit boxes at check in. The only flaw was the low water pressure. Would stay there again

The staff was very friendly, food was great. We will definitely stay here again! The hotel was new and super easy to get to the hotel and back to the AT&T center. The rooms were very clean and roomy, lots of space for a family of 4 plus a couch.

I stayed here for a business trip I had. I really liked the staff they helped me get directions to were I needed to go. I asked them for recommendations for dinner. The housekeeper who did my room was amazing very clean and sparkling smelled very fresh. I will stay here again when I come to San Antonio.

We really enjoyed the excellent staff. Our pet kitty, Sonny, enjoyed the pet friendly stay! Breakfast excellent. Fitness gym and pool nice and clean.The owner was on site and hands on management skills.

We know nothing about San Antonio but were driving through due to a cross-country trip. We had originally booked at the Best Western Alamo Inn (which I would NOT suggest to ANYONE) and had to walk out of that reservation due to mold and bugs. We rebooked at this GEM of a hotel and we are soo glad that we did. If you have a car, it's just a short drive to the Alamo and the Riverwalk. I assume it's probably a relatively cheap Lyft/Uber as well and honestly, even if a Lyft/Uber is pricey, it's worth it for this property. The property is brand new and the staff is very nice. I called earlier in the morning to advise them of the issue at the property we were at to ask if we could get an early check-in. They eagerly accommodated us. They have a beautiful lobby area, spacious and clean rooms, and no mold. The property is very well lit and there is an outdoor pool that is also new. The parking is really easy and again, really well-lit. While I'm not sure that I'll be back in San Antonio anytime soon, I would definitely recommend this to anyone traveling through San Antonio on the I-10 for very easy freeway access or to anyone who doesn't mind a short drive into the Riverwalk zone. We didn't get a chance to enjoy the breakfast because we woke up too late but I can tell you the breakfast area was very clean as well. Do yourself a favor and visit this property ... please forego the Best Western Alamo. Ugh!

Location was convenient for me as I was traveling through I-10 west. I really enjoyed the bed and pillows as I was super tired from a long day of work. I decided to stay another night here because I was traveling back to Houston the next day. Breakfast was good, the waffle machine was awesome because I threw in chocolate chips while it was being prepared. The stewardess was very friendly to me and all customers who visited. I would recommend this hotel to anyone passing through.

I had to go out to the car before 5am and get bags together. Had the best security I've seen at a hotel. Great communication between staff to insure safety. We will be back. Breakfast was excellent just wished it was warm enough to swim. Maybe next time.

This was one of the best Best Western Plus I've stayed in. Brand new, built in fall of 2017, beautiful lobby, large room, professional staff. Breakfast was included and had real scrambled eggs. This reminds me more of the Hilton's I've stayed in. I was just passing through, and this made me consider staying another night, but if I'm ever looking for a hotel in San Antonio, this will be at the top of my list.

This hotel is fantastic! Very pretty decor. Service was excellent. 15 minutes from everything on our itinerary. Breakfast was great too! We enjoyed the chocolate chip cookies for a bedtime snack every night.

It wasn't my plan to stay in San Antonio for three days, but things happen. It was a pleasant place to be, nice hotel, and amenities. Breakfast was great and my son loved the fitness area. I recommend this hotel to all travelers.

I had checked out the San Antonio area for hotels, price etc as it was near the end of our driving day. Say the Best Western Roland and decided to check my Best Western points. They were also pet friendly. I had enough points for our stay and was glad I chose it Brand new hotel, very clean easy on/off the highway for us

I LOVE this hotel! This is brand new and everything is amazing! The check in was quick. The free wifi is a plus! The room is amazing,so clean, nice, quiet. We are a family of 4 and this is perfect for us. There is a microwave and a fridge. The hot breakfast is perfect with many options. There is a Whataburger next door if you are hungry. This hotel is about 2 exits away from the AT&T center and about 5 mins to downtown. This hotel is a gem! The staff is very friendly.Don't pay for a hotel downtown and parking, free parking here ! We come to San Antonio often. Stay here you will love it! We will stay here again in the future.

This hotel opened in Fall 2017 and is in perfect condition as would be expected. It was flawlessly clean, comfortable, and modern. Fresh-baked cookies were available in the evening. If I had to gripe about anything, the shower head provided a rather weak flow of water, but that's about the only complaint I can come up with. Friendly staff, easy access off the interstate, fast free wifi.

This hotel is very quiet and peaceful and meticulously spotless. It is only a month old and this place will soon be the new hot spot for travelers and vacationers. Located just off of I-10 and US 87 and it took us 8 minutes to get back to the hotel from The Alamo, tonight. Just close enough to not be a problem but far enough away to be out of all the traffic and activity. They have a little snack bar/store at the front desk for those late night snacks. Whattaburger is right next door, at the on/off ramp of I-10. It is a very quiet hotel....freeway traffic is just far enough (or did they use triple pane windows?). A beautiful pool and a very spacious gym with cardio and free weights. A small business center with two computers for guests. They also have a comfortable lounge with three large screens as well as a very upscale breakfast area. This hotel will soon be the new hot spot, go to hotel for San Antonio and we will certainly stay here again if we're in the San Antonio area. We are staying here for two nights, my wife and I and our two little dogs. We are still here for another night. This hotel is so exceptional that I wanted to share this review with others. I took a bunch of photos earlier this afternoon but after seeing all the photos already posted, they're exactly the same as mine. The photos show true respective of what this hotel is. By the way.....the staff here is about the friendliest you'll find at any hotel anywhere. Very nice, friendly and sincere.

I stayed here for four nights the week of December 4, 2017. The room and bed were very clean and quite comfortable. The exercise room was very well equipped, with treadmills, recombinant bikes, free weights and weight machines. The breakfast was also good, with many choices. The staff was very professional. The manager, Karim Kissou, was friendly and very helpful. A nice place. Highly recommended.

Good location only minutes from River walk and market square. We'd definitely be staying here when we return to San Antonio. The queen suite the kids slept in was bigger than expected and the sofa bed in a different room was great.

This is brand new property just open three week ago, our stay at the Best Western Plus- Roland was a very pleasurable experience with clean big rooms, great breakfast and Great employees. I will definitely be staying there in the future and recommend anyone having any events to use that location.

Had a great stay with my two service dogs. Wish they had a dog run like other BW Plus hotels. Nice large rooms, nice hotel decor, super hotel staff. I highly recommend, short drive to the Alamo, and Trinity University.
