Je m’inscris Blood and other stains were on the bedding. It was clearly unwashed. It was so disgusting. Found it after we had got in the bed for the night. We Changed rooms at midnight. We Couldn't sleep because we were so disgusted. Just thinking about it now makes my skin crawl. Compensation offered was very little off the bill when it Should have been free. It's a serious health concern and they treated it like no big deal. We Will never stay there again and we have a number of trips to Prince Albert coming up.
Great hotel. Very clean rooms with super comfy bed. Good hours for continental breakfast and a great selection on food choices. Glass cups for coffee was an added bonus. Loved the shower! Hallways were a bit cool for air conditioning but individual rooms were easy to regulate for tempatures.
3 persons travelling for business. The hotel that had been booked was very poor quality so we looked for another hotel. Town was basically sold out. Lucky to get 2 rooms here for 1 st night. Staff at desk AMAZING. Also called later that a room available next night.. they ended up finding us rooms all nights. Done with a smile and courtesy.. having been in the business I know this takes time on the computer. We ate there each night. Good very good and fresh. Bar server was so sweet Rooms spacious and clean What could have been a miserable trip was turned into a lovely experience We all have to travel extensively. Thank you BW Premier Prince Albert you were great
Very nice bed , Very comfortable blankets The room was very nice and spacious I was very impressed with the atmosphere of the lobby and the rooms We did not have time to check out the pool but it looked really nice and welcoming I found the breakfast area very inviting , Did not have as many fresh fruit options as some hotel breakfasts but overall was very good
I had an item taken from 1 of my bags forgotten in the room at check out. The hotel promised a return call and I haven't been contacted!
I appreciated the quality service, kind efficient staff. Great amenities. Loved the hot tub and swimming pool. Beds are comfortable. I felt safe and well looked after. The staff are all amazing and kind.
Stayed one night, the fitness center was impeccably with bottled water provided. Breakfast was great, so many choices. Will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in PA.
We love staying at this hotel when in town for a tournament. The staff is accommodating & helpful! The hotel is clean and set up well. The breakfast is great, and we love the lattes made by the coffee machine in the lobby ;)
We stayed there for the weekend for a hockey tournament (Jan 12, 24), my sons game didn't even until 10pm once we got back to hotel no lots left with plug ins, we found a spot next to handicap parking even no plug in for those stalls, truck froze during the night got stuck with a 130$ tow bill along with buying a 40$ battery. Hotel said nothing they could do and didn't even apologize. Secondly my son ordered a chicken Caesar salad at the restaurant when he got his food the chicken was still raw… doesn't take long to cook chicken when it's cut up in bite size pieces, again nothing done and no apology… great staff best western premier! I'll be taking my business elsewhere.
Overall, the hotel was clean, and well maintained. The front desk provided good customer service and provided me with a few smaller forgotten items. I have stayed here a few times and have never had any issues or concerns. Comfortable beds, for a great night sleep.
Great hotel! Great breakfast. Very clean. Lots of room in the lobby to hangout. Overall great staff and service. Definitely stay here again for kids tournaments. Pool was fun for the kids. Staff was very accommodating.
Exceptional service, absolutely the most comfortable beds in any hotel in the province. Staff always will go above and beyond to ensure an outstanding stay. Breakfast is delicious with a great variety of items. Highly recommend a stay in this hotel if ever travelling in northern Saskatchewan
Good experience the staff was very pleasant and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable Location was good Parking lot was well lit. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choices. Parking was adequate. It was a bit noisy at night some nights
Not many choices in PA…this the very best of only a few hotels. Staff, premises and the best! This was our first choice of hotels in PA but was completely booked as was every other hotel this night. Travelling with an elderly parent can be challenging but the Manager took my name & number and promised to call if anything became available. After 30 minutes driving around trying to find a place to sleep, Luis called me to say they had a cancellation. Great Customer service, great room and overall experience.
Staff were so helpful from the time I booked the room until we walked out the door to leave. Rooms are quiet and peaceful. Beds are very comfortable. Excellent hotel to take children to swim and enjoy the hot tub. Lovely breakfast options included.Restaurant and bar also an excellent option to relax at the end of the day. Black out blinds were great to keep grandchildren sleeping after a busy day. No curtains to collect dust, thank you! Would definitely recommend this hotel to others.
I stayed at the Best Western with my small children and it was excellent! The front desk staff was very friendly and willing to help. The room as spacious which allowed my kids to have a more enjoyable time with a nice and clean pool / hot tub! The breakfast was amazing - plenty to choose from! :)
Nice, helpful and friendly staff. Spacious rooms. Clean and relaxing atmosphere. 24 hours refreshment. Good recreational and workout facilities. This hotel is a good place for a business traveler to Prince Albert.
Hotel was reasonably clean, food was average, beds and pillows were comfy. However the price was very high, and different prices from Friday to Saturday, said it was due to occupancy but I didn't notice a high number of ppl in hotel. This was not any better than the average hotel just cost is al ost double.
The front staff have always been pleasant, willing to help with anything! The gym has almost everything you need to get a great workout! Most comfortable bed and pillows of any hotel I've stayed at! Window coverings that keep the room dark, which is awesome!
Absolutely fantastic stay. Was able to use pool, fitness room and had a wonderful breakfast! Staff went above and beyond to make a hard weekend (death in family) have a sliver of happiness for the kids.
My son and I were there for an extended stay ( 52 days} in the fall because of restoration work. Jason worked miracles keeping us in the same rooms as our stay kept getting extended. Everyone from Jason, to the front line staff, restaurant staff, cleaners were friendly, gracious and our every need was looked after. We became part of their family. The rooms were beautiful, very spacious and clean. I have nothing but good things to stay and would recommend it to anyone and actually have spread the word...
We had an excellent family get together and spent the weekend enjoying this very beautiful facility. It exceeded our expectations in most areas. We were offered extra assistance for whatever we asked for and sometimes offered it by staff who saw our need. I would rebook again if needed!
The hotel has large spacious rooms and a large variety of breakfast items. Unfortunately, when we were there the pool wasn't working which was a big disappointment for our kids. Staff were friendly and can't beat the hot chocolate in the coffee machines in the lobby
This was my third stay at the BW Premier and each visit has been excellent. I feel welcomed the moment I step in the building, with staff greeting me and asking if they can assist me. Room are very comfy and quiet. Ordered from lounge and food was delivered promptly and was very good. Breakfast had a good selection. Will be back to this jewel of a hotel when I am in the area.
If you don't want a restful sleep come here for the hall party goes to 4 am wo wo no staff to control drunken guests and they allow you to bring your own booze to the bar in your own cup so you don't have to pay for thier booze
Not enough parking as the parking lot is tiny. Than the hotel piles snow on parking spots. Expected to park a block away at Canadian tire. Good clean new rooms. Annoying when you are out and come back you have to show id and room number. Should just have a key lock for doors.
Upon check in i was given a hotel room on the first floor by an exterior door. I did not feel comfortable with this location so asked for another room. Was told that there were no room available. Then I went to sit in my bed to work and noticed a huge hole/indent in the mattress. I went back to the front desk (did not answer my call from the room) and because the hotel was sold out they took a mattress from another room that was being repaired and I had to help drag it into my room, strip the bed then help switch out the mattresses then I had to make the bed myself. The shower seemed like it was missing part of the door as water went all over the floor and the heat didn't stay in. I was not offered a discount on anything… the hotel itself is nice. I did not use any of the amenities.
The rooms are great and the amenities are nice as well. Just Watch the price I booked online with the Best Western app weeks in advance for my stay. I stayed several days in a row and each day of my stay I was charged a different price resulting in me paying more than what my booking in advance said my stay would cost. With inflation and everything else costing more people are watching there expenses so when they book in advance expect that they will be paying what they were quoted not changing it on them. Makes it more challenging to plan a trip
This hotel is quite new, so very clean and modern. The front staff were very friendly and helpful. The soundproofing of the rooms is not the best, I could hear my neighbors TV at times. There is a restaurant with minimal selection, however there are plenty of places to eat withing a 5 minute drive. Everything I needed for a work trip, would stay here again.
Booked 2 nights and were very pleased we chose the Best Western Premier. From check in to check out staff were efficient, welcoming and friendly. The room with a king bed was spacious, comfortable, wi fi signal was strong, good amenities. Breakfast was a nice surprise, fresh and tasty cooked items in the warming trays. Omelettes were good and alternating bacon and sausage was a nice change. Coffee was good, and other items at the breakfast area were very good plus the eating area was clean and inviting. When returning to P.A. this will be our hotel of choice!
Very helpful friendly staff. They offered help without being asked. We walked in with leftover food from a restuarant in our hands and they asked if we needed utensils. When I took our luggage to our vehicle they met me at the door to take the trolley back to the front for me.
Absolutely fantastic place to stay if you are in Prince Albert. The breakfast was absolutely desirable, the best. Gym was good lots of machine. The swimming pool and hot tub looks good though I didnt use.
This hotel is great. So much room. The breakfast had a lot to choose from and was hot and delicious. The pool and hot tub were good. Staff were very friendly. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The beds are comfortable.
Very happy with this hotel. Excellent amenities and service. Certainly exceeded my expectations for Best Western. The breakfast service was excellent. I will be choosing this hotel on my future stays in Prince Albert Saskatchewan
Large clean rooms. Comfortable beds with nice thick sheets, soft pillows and down filled duvet. Shower was fantastic with nice towels. Very great and restful sleep, free from any street traffic noise. Very friendly and helpful staff, free breakfast is awesome.
The hotel room was covered in hair, the pool had no towns and the floor and pool were covered in hair. Breakfast was busy and was difficult to find a clean table and the hot food options were limited due to the amount of guests.
Beds were comfy and room was a great size for our family. We were in a tourney so never got to pool but will in the future. Breakfast was a good selection. A bit of a turnaround to get in and out of hotel but very minor inconvienve
I was so impressed with everything about this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, the hotel was clean, the room was immaculate and spacious. I took advantage of the free tea when I would get back after a long day, the restaurant food and drink were very good, the free breakfast was incredible - anything you could want and all fresh and yummy.
Overall a good place to stay in PA. Staff were friendly and the place was as clean as could be during winter. Only negative item to mention is the water pressure in the shower is very weak. My shower area was not as clean as it could have been.
Parking lot cant handle half capacity of their rooms. Rough road and parking lot. Small pool. Overly soft beds. Asides from that its clean and new to PA. Checking in was okay. Rooms don't get stocked during the day, you have to ask for everything.
First time staying at this hotel and I will be back. Very impressed with the quality of finishing and level of service from all the staff. Ordered from the lounge, room service was prompt and the wings were fantastic. Will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and family.
Overall a very nice hotel the rooms are nicely organized and clean pool is nice and clean the fitness room is well organized and very accessible the breakfast is good and fresh with lots of options nice hotel
This was a very nice hotel. It was clean and quiet, and the staff were helpful and friendly. There was a hot breakfast included in the price and it had a very nice dining/ lounge area. There is a restaurant with a small menu available to order form for supper which was very handy. Overall very impressed with this place.
We had a king suite. Very happy with the clean room. Bed was comfortable. Would highly recommend this hotel. On the more expensive end but worth it for the clean factor. Pool was great. Kids enjoyed it.
Clean new hotel. Best place to stay in Prince Albert. Nice rooms, friendly staff. Breakfast included. Great wifi. Very nice lobby and lounge/restaurant area. Didn't try the pool/hot tub but looked nice.
We stayed here for two nights and were very happy with the service. The rooms are spacious and clean. Beds are very comfortable. It was miserable and extremely cold so we stayed on the property. Fitness room is nice. The pools were closed as was the on site restaurant but we ordered in so it wasn't a big deal. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.
From the minute my daughter and I arrived until we left, we were treated like valued customers. This has rarely been the case at other hotels and I have stayed at many! Shannon and her team were amazing.
The staff were all very kind and treated our team very well. The Hotel is very clean, accommodating and lots of space in the rooms. I will definately look here first to bring my teams in the future when in Prince Albert.
It's a must stay place better then all the hotels in that area anyways it's more clean and sanitary after a horrible stay at another hotel this one was the best and met all your expectations so yes if your thinking about staying please do it's a very beautiful place to stay
$185 a night is way to steep for no corporate community. Saskatoon airport hotels are newer and offer as good a room for $50 less per night. Management did not take my concerns of incorrect billing seriously. The price was different than the price quoted when booking. Bathroom was not cleaned well.
The worst customer service. At about 10:30 PM I noticed I didn't have any coffee in my room. I tried to call down to ask for some but the phone would not dial the front desk. I looked up the number and called on my personal phone. I asked why the buttons on the phone won't call the front desk and she said yah you have to use the handset and press 0. I said that nowhere on the phone says to do that so how are guests supposed to know that? In a super condescending and snotty tone she said sorry we don't have a pamphlet there to walk you through it. I said that I was just phoning to have some coffee brought up because I don't have any in my room. She said she couldn't bring any because female staff are not allowed in the elevators after 10:00. So, I got dressed and went downstairs to get some, feeling very uncomfortable at how dangerous this hotel must be and feeling very nervous about the fact that my deadbolt does not work and the fact that I can't easily call downstairs. At the front desk she was again rude to me when I asked how dangerous this hotel was and why it was ok for me, a female guest to be in the elevator alone. She said that there are often male guests who harass the female staff so that's the rule. I asked why they don't have more staff then. I will never stay here again. It is the most expensive hotel in the city and very much not worth the money. I would much rather stay in an older hotel with good customer service. I would email or talk to someone higher up but according to the reviews on this site Best Western in general and the on site manager don't care at all.
Ask when checking in if all of the hotels basic amenities are in working order. Upon check-in it was known to the staff that there was no hot water and this information was not forwarded to me. Discount that was to be applied was not included.
Rooms are very spacious and CLEAN! Beds are very comfortable - slept so well. The food in the lounge was excellent and the staff was extremely friendly. Breakfast was delicious :) Great pool and hot tub to swim and relax in. Definately will stay there again.
I wanted to cancel my reservation and it said free cancellations up to 4:00p.m. on day of arrival. I had that in writing but they didn't honour it and forced me to either stay or pay a full night. One person told me I could cancel and the other person at the front desk told me I couldn't. I stayed. :( The restaurant didn't have any wine. He showed me 3 bottles only for the entire restaurant and said I would have to buy one of those bottles if I wanted a glass of wine. Nope!!! They didn't know how to sign charges to my room account. The room was clean and the bed was great. I asked for a very quiet room so they put me right across from the ice machine which was going all night. Not quiet at all. They need to sort out alot of the "kinks" before I would consider staying here again. It was very pricey and the value for the price was definitely not there.
Avoid at all costs! I was charged for a room by the hotel despite the fact that I cancelled prior to the free cancellation deadline on Expedia. When I called the hotel to talk to them about it the front desk worker lied & tried to say that it was her I talked to to cancel it & that it wasn't before the deadline. I explained that I didn't talk to anyone to cancel because I had done it on the Expedia app. She then told me that Expedia hadn't notified them about the cancellation (which I later found out was also a lie) & told me I would have to speak to the manager for a refund. I called on multiple occasions over a span of 2.5 weeks & the manager was never in & I was told he pops in & out randomly with no set hours. I was promised there would be a supervisor in the next day after 4pm but when I called at that time, not only did I have to wait on hold for an hour - no exaggeration - there was also no manager/supervisor in again!! The girl I spoke with gave me the manager's direct email to send my cancellation confirmation to & he has still not replied. I finally called the Best Western head office & they told me they did in fact see the cancellation notice from Expedia so there is no reason I should have been charged. The Best Western head office was fantastic to deal with & said they will refund my money if the hotel doesn't. The way that things went down with the hotel makes me feel as though they were trying to scam me. Makes me wonder how many other people this has happened to. It's quite obvious the manager doesn't care so I won't be surprised if this place is quickly run into the ground.
The newly built hotel was a nice experience. The staff were very pleasant, however there was a long wait at checkin that could have been better staffed. Additionally late check out would have been nice as our team had a lot of time to kill for the day.
We chose this hotel for our accommodations while attending a funeral. The hotel upon arrival had used shampoo bottles sitting on the counter and the bathroom fan didn't work. The next morning before the funeral the breakfast arrived with the main dish missing and someone else's rooms dish accompanied ours. I called the front desk after breakfast to inform them that room 303 had been delivered to us with ours an that we had been shorted our oatmeal and that 303 had best be sent another order because theirs was to arrive at 10 am and ours had arrived at 9:30am. Maxine became belligerent with me how dare we eat the other order. I explained that we were shorted and had no time to wait around due to the funeral and there was time to replace the other order. Once downstairs she told me to get out and tried to stare me down making a scene. When asked about the manager she said he's not in and went out for a cigarette telling my family enjoy your funeral. Needless to say we won't be returning thanks to Maxine Hallways are noisy and no where to put soap or shampoo in the shower
We recently stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. We were 3 adults and requested a suite with a kitchenette. We had a king bed and a pull out sofa. THE GOOD: - new hotel - room was clean upon check-in. - king bed was comfortable - kitchenette was adequate - continental breakfast was good and also delivered to our room due to covid protocols - nice view from our fourth floor window - nice clean pool and work out room - adequate security entry protocols - Housekeeping staff were friendly THE BAD: - upon check-in we went to make up the pullout bed and found no bedding. The housekeeping staff said there was sheets but no comforters for the pullout. Not sure what they expected our adult son to sleep with? Fortunately housekeeping was able to find a fleece blanket. - After 3 days we returned and our room had not been serviced. When we went to the front desk and asked why, she was told that you had to request cleaning. We could find nothing on their website or provided hotel info that stated this. - Because we had not had our cleaned in 3 days we requested clean towels from the front desk. We were told we were only “entitled” to two fresh towels. We were 3 adults! Seems the rooms only had the bare minimum. - no drawers in the room to store clothing, everything had to stay in the suitcases. Overall hotel is nicest in Prince Albert and we would stay there again but staff (especially reception)needs to work on “customer service.”
The first time we stayed the hotel was new and we had a problem with a water leak through to our bathroom from the ceiling. At times water would run down on our toilet. The staff agreed to some compensation for our next visit which was acceptable. However when we stayed recently the change of staff refused to follow through on our promised compensation. Also the cleanliness of the rooms had gone downhill ranging from unswept floors upon entry to room, unwiped surfaces to one of the rooms having an empty beer can and a dirty bathroom. With most places increasing their cleaning for COVID,this place gets a failing grade.
My husband and I were thoroughly disappointed in our stay. We raised our concerns with more than one of your staff but they said they could not do anything, as there was no manager on site but urged us to reach out to a manager by email, who never responded. On arrival, we checked in and were pleased to see a new, bright and clean hotel. We were, however immediately disappointed to discover that there were holes in the drywall where a toilet paper holder should be in the Bathroom and that the desk chair's right armrest was broken. We tried to call the front desk but discovered that the phone system was not working (seemed to be hotel-wide that day). So with every issue, we had to walk down to the desk. When we brought our concerns to the attention of evening staff they told us to speak to the morning staff, who in turn told us to contact you. Not making it right so far. In addition, your hotel advertises a buffet breakfast, which the central booking confirmed, however, you served a cold breakfast that is a touch below an airline meal. Even with that service reduction, items in our breakfast were missing and the coffee machine in the room did not work. I can understand restricted measures during COVID-19, however, all restaurants in PA are open to indoor dining, and so should be the hotel. When we booked, your location was the most expensive hotel in PA and we expected a level of comfort and service corresponding to the price. Based on the lack of reply from management we will not stay at another best western or recommend it to anyone.
The staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. Our room and the rest of the quite new building were very clean and in excellent condition…. AND they have a newly installed Level 2 (240VAC) EV charging station. Two things to know about it… ask the front desk for the key to activate it, and if it is busy there is another public charger beside the Peavey Mart - just a two minute walk away. And if you aren't' charging an EV, don't park in front of the charger, please. A bit more signage from the hotel might help to educate people about that.
Rooms Were Not Cleaned and Terrible Customer Service. Second Bad Experience At This Hotel With No Attempt From Staff/Management to Address Issues. We got to the hotel between 3 and 4 and were basically scowled at because check in was not until 4. We had 3 rooms booked for 2 nights. We went up to our rooms only to find they were not cleaned. One room had 2 bags of garbage from the people before us in the door way. That automatically made us feel uncomfortable as there was obviously a party in there the night before. When we went in the room my child wandered over by the bed and found a half full beer can on the floor. All 3 of our rooms were filthy. Hair all over the bathroom floor. Crumbs all over the carpets and tile floors in the main part of the rooms. The bath tub in my room was visibly dirty and had not been cleaned. There was dried cereal and dirt in the bathroom sink. I pulled out a towel and there was a big black hair on it. There was so much hair and visible debris on the floors around the toilets and just everywhere. There was smudged food or something on the bathroom door. There was no blankets for the sofa bed and when I pulled the bed out it had dirty sheets on it. I was so disgusted. Everything was dirty. Also our shower curtain rod was broken and so it wouldn't close, just hung in the middle. I called the front and told them and they basically agreed that it wasn't good but did not offer to do anything about it. I asked for someone to bring bedding and clean and it sounded like someone would be coming. I called back an hour later and they acted like they had no idea what I was talking about. Finally a housekeeper brought up the bedding. She was going to leave and I gad to ask that she remove the dirty bedding after she gad put the clean pillows right on top of the dirty sheets. I then showed her the dried cereal in the sink and the dirty tub and asked if she could wipe it out. She said she would. I also told her about the other 2 rooms not being cleaned. Not once after this were my concerns addressed. I tried to reach the manager who they kept telling me would be in after 4 each day ans never heard back. The time before that we stayed in Feb 2020 our room literally was pouring water from the ceiling…everything was soaked. They tried to fix it a couple times but were unsuccessful. They never offered us a new room and we had to use the bathroom in my moms room. The water was running down the walls from the ceiling, dripping from around the light fixtures and vents. I thought the ceiling might cave in. The paint on the wall was bulged out holding pockets of water. Afterwards they would not do anything about it. I spent a week talking to a manager who finally agreed to give me 50% of my money back and 50% off my next stay. I brought this up as I was supposed to let them know on my next stay. I provided them with all of the details about my last stay snd the arrangement I had with the previous manager and nobody will talk to me or get back to me about it. I have called and send 3 emails with no response. I have sent them pictures snd videos from both stays snd I have gotten zero acknowledgement. I am beyond disappointed and frustrated.
The hotel has big, clean rooms, and the front desk staff were friendly and fast. The halls had some debris in them, though. The pool and hot tub were clean. The move by hotels to get rid of bathtubs and move to these half glass shower stalls is not a brilliant one, though. There is no way to not get water on the floor, and this one didn't have any shelving. The bath mat also had stains dried into it. In general, hotels are higher priced in Prince Albert than in the other major centres of Saskatchewan, but I guess that is supply and demand.
This was an overall terrible experience. The staff showed a level of incompetency that I have never witnessed. Very few things were performed properly on the first attempt. On top of the incompetency, staff members were blatantly and overtly racism. From the beginning, our toilet was clogged. We told the staff repeatedly over two days. Only after three complaints that they changed our rooms. The issue was that the new room that they checked us into was already occupied!!! Luckily, the occupant had just checked in and we didn't disturb him too much. On top of everything, the staff was blatantly racist against the guests and other staff. One receptionist was condescending and creating artificial barriers to checking in for an indigenous couple who had a reservation and all of the necessary items required to check in. Later, the same receptionist publicly berated and yelled at BIPOC staff members who were having a private conversation in their mother tongue. The staff made additional mistakes which were minor in comparison. Numerous guests were not told about the altered breakfast ordering process leading to additional work and stress. There was not clear communication on covid protocols. The iron was so rusty that it took 15 minutes to try to steam out all of the rust inside it. The bathroom was moldy, because there were large gaps in the grout in the bathroom. There were also no shelves in the shower to put soap or shampoo. I will not be staying at this hotel again.
Fabulous bed. Seriously the best hotel bed I've slept on. It's nice to have a new hotel option in PA… they all seem to get fairly run down within a few years so we were happy to be able to stay here. The only issue we had was that we weren't told housekeeping wasn't cleaning rooms or replenishing towels/coffee. This is a practice from earlier in the pandemic that we thought was over. We had no problem not having our room cleaned, BUT we wish we had been told when we checked in. I also find it frustrating that hotels are still charging full price for rooms when they don't provide housekeeping. The savings on staff wages should be passed along to the customer who is going without the usual services.
Dirty bathroom, dirty towels, dirty pool, broken items in room, overall poor design of a so-called accessible room. There is apparently a lack of quality control with so many faults noticed. No fresh towels, no garbage removal- what happened to making up a room on a daily basis? Covid restrictions have been lifted but maid service was non existent.
Stayed here once before and had many problems but the manager at the time(Danni) was very helpful so thought I'd give it one more try. Worse this time. All other hotels offer buffet breakfast in the restaurant (restrictions are lifted) but this one still puts a brown bag of breakfast items outside your door like you are in quarantine. Safe didn't work and front desk didn't even know the rooms had one. Took a couple calls and finally got it fixed. Housekeeping came the first day but didn't leave coffee so had to get that. The last day housekeeping never came. Went to front desk and the 4 people standing around said I needed to request it. Nobody told me that and we had housekeeping without requesting it! I said at least I need towels, coffee and the garbage taken out. They stood there and said nobody will do that but here is a black garbage bag to do it yourself and leave it in the hallway. Couldn't believe that not one person would at least carry the sealed bag from the hallway. When asked they said they would not and didn't care if guests saw it. The general manager, Faizan Hiromi, wouldn't come out to discuss things. I finally asked him to do his job but he said he was in training and went back to talking to the other girl. Terrible running of this hotel. There's a reason it's so poorly rated on trip advisor. The shower also had no ledge to put soap or shampoo and it appeared to be broken. The view was so bad that we had to have blinds closed.
The room was nice and clean. The check in was awful. We arrived early, we knew check in wasn't until 4:00. The front desk guy checked our name and told us to come back at 4, the room should be done by then. We came back at 4:00 there were police there dealing with an irate customer. So we waited in line, roughly 1/2 an hour, 3 check ins before us. It was fine, no problem. Then when it was our turn, they told us we didn't have a reservation, it was cancelled! We didn't cancel. Then they weren't going to honour reservation. They ended up giving us our room, but over charged us on the bill the next day. Also, they did give the breakfast I ordered either. Never again! First and last time booking with Best Western. Stay anywhere but here!
After a long day of driving with small children Attempted to check in early. Was told that the hotel is full and check in is at 4pm. Came back at 4pm , was treated extremely rude by the maintenance manager 'Tom Simmons'. He denied us to stay for the night and accused us of swearing at him. The hotel is super unorganized and extremely condisending and rude to their patrons. We will never be back. We paid for a room , were not reimbursed, and was basically left with nowhere to stay. I hope this place goes belly up. That's what they deserve.
I have never experienced such appalling customer service in my life. I'm just disgusted. This used to be the place we would always go when we stayed in PA. Not anymore. I had booked a room about a month ago. We arrived in Prince Albert early and when we went to check in we were told that they were busy the night prior, and regular check-in time was 4 pm. I said no problem, and we left and had lunch, visited some family and when we returned returned at 4, we noticed the woman at the front of in front of the line was clearly upset. She had booked 8 rooms for 2 nights and thanks to their awesome customer service, one booking was apparently missing even though she had paid and received the confirmation, and she was basically told that there was nothing that they could do. So we get to the front of the line and the agent starts to proceed with our booking, telling us we will be ok the 2nd floor, etc. My husband commented that sometimes we can get early check in and we got some sass from one of the girls at the front desk, telling us that check in is at 4. Yes, we are aware of that! Then the maintenance manager, Tom Simmons, came out and joined in, giving us attitude. I was so confused by their behaviour. Everything was fine!! We simply pointed out that sometimes hotels can check in their guests early!! Then, Tom abruptly told the agent to stop with our booking and took him to the back room. They disappeared for a good 10 minutes and when they returned, Tom told us we are no longer able to stay at the hotel. I couldn't even understand what was going on! We had booked a month ago and prepaid, yet they were denying us service for some reason. We were clearly unhappy because this was completely unfair, so Tom decided to call the cops. My 4 year old child began to cry. After 6 hours on the road, this was the last thing we need, and we just wanted our room that was ready!! My husband pointed out that our child was upset and Tom said "No you are making your own child cry!" Disgusting. I wonder if Tom decided to cancel our booking so that he could accommodate the lady in front of us that was short a room. I guess he felt more comfortable kicking us out for no reason than to lose 8 2 night bookings. Now we have nowhere to stay and are out that money. As I sat on the parking lot scrambling to find a place to stay for my family of 4, I noticed 2 other cars doing the same thing that were also waiting in line when I was in there. Horrible. Literally, stay anywhere else.
The hotel itself is pleasant. Newly built and obviously well constructed, the physical property is very nice. The hotel staff, all mostly overworked, were extremely pleasant and apologetic about the property's obvious operational shortfalls. Hotels should not run out of milk for breakfast; and if the "man who orders milk on the weekends didn't order enough", it most certainly should not happen again two weeks later. I full understand the difficulties in attracting, training and retaining staff in more remote locations; this, however, is partly why they subscribe to pay Best Western a substantial management fee, and is an issue that the investors should have thought through more thoroughly before opening such an expensive property. I also fail to understand why the GM would not have simply gone out and bought some milk from a nearby supermarket. I really don't care if "that is not the way we order things"; when things go wrong, you improvise. True, its guests seemed to be "mandatory corporate"; construction crews, visitors for the various regional government services offered in PA and not tourists. No discretionary traveller would put up for long in what is (at heart) and expensive and upmarket Staff House. Other minor, but distracting issues are the chairs at the desks in the rooms. They are all too small, and were obviously purchased independently on deciding the height of the desk. A minor issue, perhaps, but the hotel is not shy in charging for their rooms, and the furniture is a part of the offering. Not to mention that one day, out of a three-day stay, our room was not cleaned at all. Nothing touched. Again, a substantial room charge for the stay and no apology or compensation for not bothering to clean up. I understand from a conversation two weeks later this was and "executive decision" taken because of a staffing shortage. A pity that there was no "executive decision" to compensate the clients. A beautiful building indeed; it is, however, dreadfully managed, and this lack of attention and concern for detail permeates itself onto the able staff who have to carry a load that goes way beyond their paygrade.
After a very awful experience at another hotel in PA we switched to this one. We check in very early am and I was very happy to see they have the doors locked and you have to be let in. The room was gorgeous. The beds super comfortable. This hotel is very clean and our family was quite comfortable there. Yes it is more expensive but it is safe and clean and worth every penny. Every single staff member we spoke with was wonderful. My kids loved the pool. And while we were there we witnessed them testing the water and making sure it stays that way. Hands down would not stay anywhere else. Breakfast was delivered to our room daily. We will stay again. If I was nitpicking I would say that the toiler paper holder and the soup holders in our room were broken. But that is minor and it did not really affect our stay. Would definitely recommend.
Don't stay here unless you are OK with them selling your room to someone else before you get there. I booked a room through the Best Western website (not a 3rd party) and when I got there they sold my room to someone else and they were full. The person at the front desk couldn't help me because it was booked through there website. So I had to call the 1-800 number. The person who answered the phone could not of have cared less what had happened. I ended up driving around town looking for a room last minute. Very disappointing on all levels.
I expected more class from this hotel, given it is the most expensive in Prince Albert but really the only thing nice about it is the exterior. For the amount of money this hotel was not worth it in my opinion. You could probably get better customer service at a cheaper hotel. Not impressed. Better hotels out there.
Excellent hotel, very clean, modern, and secure. Staff is professional, efficient, and friendly. Restaurant in the hotel is very good as well. Good location and lots of parking. They've made all the appropriate COVID adjustments.
We got an actual packaged breakfast with tons of options, the room was immaculate and up to date. It was a delightful stay. It is a bit pricey compared to other hotels in the area, but honestly I think it's worth it for the quality. We don't mind spending a bit extra to get a bit more.
This is a well appointed hotel that seems to cater more to the business traveller. Smallish pool but not particularly important unless you travel with children. Well appointed fitness room!! Rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast delivered outside your door at the designated time is especially appreciated! Making this my go to hotel in Prince Albert!
Excellent stay with awesome staff that are helpful and sincere. The room was comfortable, clean and all the amenities to keep you comfortable. Thank you for everything as the money spent was definitely worth it and more for our sense of safety in these times!
The room was big and clean. The beds were soft and had a very relaxing atmosphere. The pool was heated which was a added bonus because most pools are cold. The workout room is nice and has whatever you need. The staff is super friendly and helpful. We would stay again
My colleagues and I stayed for one night for fun and relaxing night. We had so much fun swimming in the pool the water is clean and warm! I love it! The room is bigger with two queen beds theres enough space to roam around! The paintings on the wall is very attractive. Room feels cozy! The thermostat is friendly use and it's quite overnight when ac. Is on.
I've been coming to PA on and off for 13 years. I was thrilled when Best Western opened their new hotel. Typical décor and build quality for this price range but new so still very nice. Amenities are as expected, decent gym and nice pool with hot tub. The staff are what prompted me to write this review, specifically in the restaurant. Joseph is a kind, gracious host who always makes the guests feel welcome. Chef is brilliant, food is served hot and well presented. Limited menu but I've not yet been disappointed.
We loved our stay at this relatively new hotel with a great high-end feel. The decor and amenities all exceeded our expectations. Our king suite was wonderful, hugely spacious, and elegant yet comfortable. We stay in dozens of hotels a year, and the bed here was the most comfortable we've ever experienced - the mattress was superb and the duvet was extra thick. The suite has two huge TV's which was fun and convenient. We also really liked the pool/hot tub area, it just sparkled, and nice water temperatures in both. Their take on a COVID protocol was to have guests choose their breakfast options the night before, and it have it delivered to the room in the morning at the requested time. Nice! There were a couple of minor points for improvement. The elevators are quite far from the lobby, and yet there is NO signage to them (you are told where they are, but who remembers everything you're told). We did go down the hallway we thought they were down, but turned back, having gone not quite far enough to find them. Also, as a guest walking through the front door, we didn't see any luggage carts. They too were WAY down the hall near the elevators, hiding behind a wall. This is the first hotel we've seen that uses the smaller airport-style luggage carts. And finally, in the morning we were surprised to find the housekeepers loading their carts right in front of the elevators on the main, in the very narrow elevator lobby area - what an odd, tight place for housekeepers to be loading their carts... When we arrived at 4 pm, the lobby bar was dark, and assumed it was closed due to COVID, but found out next morning it had opened after 5... :( Overall, we loved our stay here, and would return in an instant next time we're in the area.
We stayed here for one night only but were very impressed with the hotel....our room was immaculate. Breakfast was delivered to our door promptly at the requested time. And it was actually very good. Very comfortable bed with lovely linens.
The best stay n I travel a lot n stay at different hotels u gotta try it there's not a thing wrong with this hotel it's so awesome I'm back again n I'm squire sure there will be an again and again Mark my word
We searched the Trip Advisor app by pet friendly in P.A. Be advised, this hotel is not pet friendly. Thus we didn't end up staying here. Not sure if the fault is in the hotel or Trip Advisor here. The hotel looked very nice and the staff were quite friendly and even helped suggest another hotel. Bottom line if you have a dog dig deeper into the listing to know your pet is allowed before booking. I'll own that part.
The hotel is still very new and has that fresh smell. Everything appears to be clean and in good working order. Parking was an issue for us as we stayed during a winter storm, along with walkways that were only cleared in the morning after the snow stopped. The beds were very comfortable and the lighting in the room was extra efficient! There were usb ports readily available around the room. The black out blind was also very nice. The pool was quite small and oddly shaped as a square. The breakfast was a full out disappointment. A full breakfast is advertised but I was shocked to see MOST items were either empty, almost empty or visually very unappealing like runny scrambled eggs and grease that literally was pooled under the bacon . The counters were littered with spills, no forks available and garbage at capacity. Along with a staff member who looked to be wearing baggy, unpressed clothing (not uniform) the same as the day before, made for an unappetizing environment. So to wrap it up, the initial impression of the hotel was pleasing however the lasting impression was that although the building is nice the staff may just be the best they could get.
So comfortable! Brand new, huge comfortable rooms, clean, quiet, friendly staff. Pool and hot tub was great. Quite safe area. Liquor store next door had such a great variety of local beer. Breakfast options were amazing! Huge breakfast area. Was unhappy they charged my credit card for an extra $100deposit over and above the original deposit upon checking in when we charged 3 soft drinks to the room but hopefully that all irons itself out in the next few days and we see that lifted. Otherwise loved it and would definitely go back.
Awesome stay with the family. Other than dry croissants, everything was great! Faizan is an awesome guy, and his staff was great. Clean and comfortable, PA desperately needs a hotel like this. Will definitely stay here again!
Finally Prince Albert receives what it needs, a new hotel! and one with that new car smell, even better! But our excitement didn't last very long. Tim, the Front Desk agent was absolutley full of typical PA attitude, arrogant and down right disrespectful. Same as the lady in the breakfast area as well as most of the housekeepers we ran into. Suggestion to Management, if this is a high end hotel as it appears to be, then hire high end staff, not PS's regular.
Had a great stay, big spacious rooms & clean! Had no issues what's so ever , everyone was welcoming and helpful. The breakfast buffet was delicious good size portions. Loved that it had a swimming pool , overall perfect stay! Would recommend
First week of operations and what a pleasure to stay here. Few small glitches but that's to be expected first week. Rooms are huge and comfortable. Lounge had great food at night and breakfast was hot and well stocked. Staff was more than friendly and helpful. Zero complaints and a much needed hotel for the area.
