Best Western Prime Inn & Suites

This hotel was a great place for us to stay before our motorcycle ride along the Talimena Trail. Convenient to local attractions - The Cavanal Hill was a nice ride with a view of the town, also close to Heavener and the Rune Park to see ancient Viking runes and the Pioneer Cemetery.

Not what I expected based on the overall rating and pictures. Amenities were not good. Breakfast was aweful. Hot tub was not working and looked like a garbage collector. The swimming pool looked nice and seemed clean, left my daughters feet stained blue. Customer service was horrible, absolutely bothered by any request or just did not know how to care for people staying at the most expensive place in town. The phrase, "you get what you pay for" does NOT apply here. Large spiders in the room, cooler leaked all over the floor one of the nights, no bedding in the room for the pull out couch.

We rented a jacuzzi suite. The hotel's hot tub wasn't working so we wanted to soak the aches and pains of traveling away. We tried to fill the tub with hot water. Ran out of hot water when the tub had about 3 inches of water in it. So, we waited for about 30 minutes and continued filling the tub. Ran out of hot water again. So we just left the water in the tub and ran across the street to the Boomerang Grill for supper. When we came back we tried again to finish filling the jacuzzi. Again, ran out of water and the jets weren't covered with water yet. We gave up. Essentially, we paid $300 for a $150 a night room.

Incredibly clean and comfortable room, breakfast area was well stocked and clean as well. Friendly and helpful staff. The food available for breakfast was good with a lot of variety and healthy options. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Quick over night stay. Pleasant host. Reasonable pricing. No issues. Moving onto our next stop. That's all I have.

Was an excellent choice to stay at. Super nice folks, clean, clean rooms, excellent mattress..just great!

We stayed here for the Great American Eclipse of 2024. They were fully booked and busy but the staff were uniformly courteous and friendly. The accommodations were clean and good quality. The owner/manager was very concerned about whether we needed anything. The breakfast was surprisingly good for "grab'n'go". They had these egg patty things that actually tasted like freshly scrambled eggs and they kept everything well-stocked during the breakfast time.

Once again Best Western had an amazing hotel! The staff were friendly. The breakfast was waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, yogurt, muffins etc. The room was Perfect! We got the King room, it was large and completely and totally clean! Nice shower with a curved rod, the bathroom was spotless too. I was happy that there were no pets allowed so no trouble with pet hair,a big deal for me 😊 Totally recommend!

It was excellent and very satisfying. I like that most of the restaurants and stores were very close by and it was a very quiet place to stay. It is very clean and everything is new and in good working condition.

The hotel has undergone a renovation. The rooms are spacious, up to date, clean, and with the modern amenities you would expect (functional blackout curtains, smart TV in the rooms, large mini fridge, spacious shower, etc.). There is even an area where you can purchase snacks. Breakfast is nothing fancy, but there was a good mix of cereal, oatmeal, make your own waffles, bagles, muffins, and fruit. The staff were friendly and helpful. Daily housekeeping is available if you like. Definitely worth driving the 5 minutes away from the highway.

The room was clean and had enough space. There were no shampoos or lotions in the bathroom. The walls are thin and we had late night, rowdy neighbors. Desk and cleaning staff did not wear masks. If you don't want to serve a breakfast other than cold cereal and mini-Danish because of Covid, then you should at least make an effort to follow other Covid guide lines.

We, unfortunately, had to visit Poteau for a family funeral. The staff was gracious, friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and we had enough space. The cleaning folks did not wear masks or gloves, even after we were told they did, so we did not have our room cleaned during the stay. Still a good experience during a very difficult time.

It was with much hesitation we had to stay in a hotel during this pandemic. We were so happy to find this hotel so clean and the front desk help was wonderful in meeting our needs. We cut our stay shorter than expected and they were so gracious to accomodate that with no questions asked. We will be back in that area soon and we WILL be staying with them again. I believe the gal at the desk was Rose when we checked out. She was wonderful. In these uncertain times, it was great to have people that understood our hesitations without judgement. Thank you so much!

Had a two-double bed room, all clean, bathroom was nice and spacious. A little outdated (needs new carpeting or just tile the bedroom floors) and the speaker on the TV in the room was a bit unclear, but overall no complaints. Beds were comfy, no funky smells, price was right. Continental Breakfast was average - some hot options and all the basics you would expect. Was impressed with the “gift shop” which was basically a snack shop with a great selection and really great prices for snacks to take back to the room or to grab before hitting the road. Staff was friendly, and while I didn't use any of these, I checked out the pool area (outdoor), workout room (a little lack luster but easily accessible), conference room (nice setup) and “Grand Room” (banquet hall -nothing fabulous but suitable.)

Hotel over all is okay. Needs to fix the breakfast situation very poor quality hot food . Bed linens and pillows need to be soft and bump free. Top blanket/ spread looked like a sheet just thicker Internet was bad quality and no cable. Stains on the side chair and foot stool . Fridge and micro worked good
