"Ripoff and cheats"

I had a trip planned to Houston area this weekend and planned to stay at this hotel. Something came up and I can't get out of town tomorrow to get there. I asked if I could switch the dates to a couple days from now, when I can make it. The hotel wouldn't let me move dates without charging me for a whole new night. They wanted to keep my first payment for the day I can't make it and charge me a full new room fee. Ridiculous that they wouldn't let me just push it a couple days to when I will be in town. I will never stay at this hotel because they are a ripoff and a cheat.

Place very dirty all around Hotel, very unprofessional, carpet on Hall way need cleaning, parking lot very congested with trailers from construction workers. TV did not work, they got it fixed at the end of the day, Hotel tenants washing cloth and putting it to dry on balcony...... all trash cans very full outside Hotel, lots of pallets outside a door for two days....

This hotel is a beautiful hotel and has potential. The manager took us on a tour to look at some of the rooms and the 4th floor they claim for family and children stunk sooo bad due to dirty diapers that had been there for I don't know how long. There was a lot of cigarette buds all in the front for the hotel along with trash in the parking lot that was there from the time we got there until the time we left a few days later. There was always trash in the hallways and elevators. Stains were on the sheets, no pillowcases were on the pillows and no towels in bathroom. also, the bathroom was not so clean. This can be a wonderful hotel if they clean it up, but it's going downhill quickly.

Clean, fun hotel. Good amenities (gym,restaurant,bar,location, game room). Definitely good value for cost. Easy hotel to stay with family and friends. I was able to work out with my nephew, meet up with sister and brother in law for breakfast. And grab a nightcap without having to leave the property. And the staff, especially front desk reception, were friendly and helpful.

New hotel but full of mold and moisture dripping from all overhead AC vents. Staff isn't accommodating due to hurricane Beryl - that is our policy!!! Walk-in showes with all types of shower heads. NO GRAB BARS or NON-SLIP STRIPS. Extremely slipper when wet. Pet-friendly but pets only allowed on 1st floor and due to hurricane Beryl and being at capacity for weeks, they told us and others that we could not have our dogs! We had to drive back our home without power for over a week and leave them. Then had to drive hone every day to let them out and take them for car rides! Worst hotel/motel experience of my 60+ year life!!!!

New caney tx location allowed a transaction to be made on my card. I called and told them I didn't make a reservation or give them my card number. They promised me my card and reservation would be removed. They lied. They still billed me even though I told them I didn't make the reservation or give authorization to use my card. They billed me 290.32 for a room I never entered with a pet deposit on it for a pet that never entered the hotel. The response given to me was to call the police if I wanted my money back. Even after I called and thought I had it sorted out 8 full hours before the supposed check in time. What a bunch of crooks.

We stayed here 2 nights. Apon arrival our room was dirty, stained bedding, mold in kitchenette, leaking windows. Lost power for 24 hours and was not accommodated at all for the inconvenience. Then after I checked out I was charged for a 3rd day. I hd to go back and get a refund for the day I did not book or stay there for. So they have my money tied up for several days because of their mistake.

I spent 2 nights over Memorial Day weekend, the service and amenities are awesome. This is a safe place to stay! Hotel Manhattan lived up to its great reviews. Customer Service is superb, hotel is well-decorated with a modern twist. It is a classy place to stay. I will continue to stay here when traveling and visiting friends in the area. Great location and easy to find. Thank you Best Western.

"Needs cleaning and maintenance attention"

I've stayed in this motel since it's opening and it is steadily declining due to lack of attention in both housekeeping and maintenance. It's a shame as it has the ability to be a very desirable motel with activities, restaurants and shoppingg all near by. I rated the rooms as excellent based on possibilities if the cleanliness and maintenance were improved.

We were given a room different than the one that we booked. The room that I booked was non refundable so they would not give a refund even though they did not give me the correct room. I asked to be moved to the room I actually booked and even offered to pay more. They refused to move us. The room they put us in smelled of mildew and there was dog hair on the bed. We refused to stay there. There wasn't a manager on duty and the front desk worker Jacqueline refused to give me the managers name. We ended up staying at the Hawthorn in the same town which was a really nice place. This was the worst hotel experience ever!

We were there for a family members' wedding and our family Christmas. The hotel is very clean and staff was very friendly. Hotel has a nice lobby area where we could all meet up before leaving out for our daily events. We will be staying there again. Anxious to stay there with my grandkids this summer for the waterpark that is beside it.

The owner values customers who pay more than others even when it regards different customers not sleeping. When we called the owner to discuss the refund he instantly started insulting my wife and I, calling us liars about our complaints (such as only getting 3 hours of sleep due to the hotel bar blasting music from 1am-3am. He also threatened that if I wrote this bad review I would not receive any refund of any kind. Yelled at my wife on the phone saying she doesn't know what she was complaining about. Their website states that their restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner which is a lie! I asked the front desk clerk when the restaurant would open and she said, "our cook left for the day" I stayed two days I guess the cook quit! The hotel staff was clueless about their jobs, not offering any assistance with anything room related. The second day I was there I got something from the snack area and stated to the make clerk of ( Indian descent) to add it to my room bill and I gave him my room number. He replied, " don't you have cash or a credit card to pay for that?" I did have those but they were in my room and I have never had a problem adding something to my hotel bill ever in my life! I then go to my room after a long day at work only to find no hot water and to make maters worse I'm having to endure extremely loud Spanish music coming through the walls from the room next doo. I proceed with my COLD shower and decide enough is enough and decide to check out and go to a real hotel! I wait 30 minutes for the male Indian clerk to return from wherever he was and told him, "there is no hot water in my room". to which he replies, "you probably don't know how to turn the shower on?" I had taken 3 previous showers in the same room I knew how to turn the water on! I proceed to tell him I am going to check out now and that I need a receipt for my stay. He says, " oh I can't give you a receipt until tomorrow because that was your original check out time." Knowing that this is a bunch of bull at this point I tell him, " then email me my receipt" He agrees to do this but never did! Also the first night I was there I went to the gym to exercise. The equipment's absolutely filthy and hadn't been cleaned in quite some time. There were no wipes to wipe down the equipment either! This isn't a very clean hotel even the room in which I stayed, the floor was dirty and obviously hadn't been swept or mopped in quite some time. There were sequins from someones clothing and other random dirt on the floor. My socks turned brown, after walking on the floor! This is a SLUM HOTEL!

We stayed at the Best Western Premier to go to Big River Waterpark. We had a great time. The park is very, very close to hotel. After a long day at the park and exhausted, went back to hotel and just enjoyed the rest of our day. Great weekend. The beds were so comfortable.

Rooms were so spacious and clean. Beds were comfortable. The entire hotel was inviting, that includes the staff and ambience. Location was great! You could walk to the Waterpark, go- karts and steps from one of the best barbecue restaurants around! Definitely will visit again!

Needs improvement of attention to detail and function of rooms. Staff needs more training. Friendly staff. Close proximity to water park. Rooms need walk through to ensure proper function of showers and to remove tape from vents and ensure that air conditioning, electricity and other amenities advertised in the rooms actually function.

Weekend getaway , came to spend time with family and friends . The hotel and staff were very friendly . The hotel was super clean . The breakfast was hot and delicious . I would definitely come bk for another weekend .

Stayed here on the way to Galveston. This place was great, easy to find, plenty of parking. Room was exceptionally clean and spaceous. Entire hotel was very clean. All the staff we interacted with were great. Nice bar and restaurant area. Try the pizza, it is great. Will definirly stay here next year on our yearly trip to Galveston

Incompetent staff at front desk that had no clue what a platinum rewards member is. She had little to no idea how the check in system works and she charged me three times. Now I have to spend my time protesting the charges because of he incompetence.

Evening help was awesome but is doing the job of 2 people. Asked for a room on the top floor to keep people from banging all night. Starting at approximately 1230 am someone above me was dragging a heavy object across the floor, lasting till I left for work at 0600 am. Top floor Rooms not cleaned. Floors were dusty and air-conditioner leaked into the room like a water faucet.

Pillows had roach droppings and had to be taken to the desk to be changed. Several breakfast items were out, coffee was the main one, got tired of waiting and walked to Denny's. Nice shower but it leaked quite a bit

Smell of natural gas throughout the place. They made copy of driver's license and said they kept it on file for 5 years, even though BW corporate said that was not a corporate policy. Said they would give it back when we checked out. Probably made more copies... Then couldn't find it to return to us when we checked out.

Hotel was nice and clean. Conveniently located. Hotel Staff friendly and kind. We stayed in a Queen Suite which was large and clean. We loved the flooring verses carpet. All amenities were easy to locate and convenient to our room.

Beautiful property and location. Easy access off the highway. Awesome restaurant next door if you want to get out for dinner. Professional staff members. Best showers ever! You can choose where you want the water to spray… We will stay again, because we were treated like good friends!

This hotel comes with kitchenette so you can cook a little something. Don't have to leave at all. The beds make you wanna stay and relax all day after months of hard work there is a lot of entertainment around and a wonderful bar and grill located inside it's a little pricey but it's worth it no worries no rift raft just a quiet cozy place to relax and enjoy yourself

One of the best Hotels I have stayed at the time we spent was very comfortable, very clean , this was a 5 day stay visiting family and we enjoyed the staff and they were very helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this Hotel!

Hotel policy requires they make a copy of front and back of your credit card and of driver's license; cash payment requires additional $250.00 deposit for incidentals which they say will be refunded at checkout, provided general manager is there when you check out.

The hotel staff were exceptional! Very helpful and attentive! The bar has a variety of drinks not to mention the atmosphere! The food is delicious! The tacos are a must try! The room is a plus! Beds are comfy and the showers will make you not want to get out :)

"Not what I expected"

Breakfast was a paper bag with a muffin, tangerine and oatmeal package. The rooms were nice, beds very comfortable. Staff was very friendly and pleasant. Bar looked nice for a drink and chat. I'd say overall, due to the breakfast, I'd rate my stay as average.
