SureStay Plus by Best Western Louisville Airport Expo

We've stayed here multiple times over the years for volleyball tournaments. It isn't a 5 Star resort but it definitely is great for the price compared to other hotels in the area. Breakfast is hot and good and it's super convenient to the expo center. Plus near the highway for quick access to anywhere you want or need to go. The only con I can think of is the TV is small and not many channel options. Which for us is not a big deal.

I was pleasantly surprised by how exceptionally nice this hotel was. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud. Everything was very clean and fresh. Clearly, renovations were done recently, as it almost felt like a new building. Very friendly staff. Easy parking.

If you like a comfortable bed and a clean hotel and smiling faces you want to stay here ! Also the Pizza restaurant that is in walking distance is very good so you don't have to drive if you would rather not. But if you want entertainment and shopping you have all that too !!

Our stay here was very worthwhile - I also appreciated the firework show "they put on" for us!! (Across the street, probably around the airport, somebody had fireworks going off!). Nice room, good bed, good breakfast, and right on our way!

The location in regards to the expo center is excellent. It's near gate 6 and only about a 5 min drive to gate 1. Hotel is nice and clean. Area is as little iffy. I would stay here again. Try Craft Works pizza for dinner.

From the ouside, this hotel does not look nice. It is on a busy road, right off an exit, and it seems a bit rum down. However, the hotel is very nice. The rooms are large, the hotel is clean, the staff are friendly, the breakfast is good, and the location is actually very convenient. We were there for a concert at Iroquois Amphitheater and an Uber was quite reasonable and quick for the show. There is also a brewery a couple blocks away with good food and drinks and a local bar next door that is great. Recommended for a friends trip/weekend trip for sure.

Location is not the best but hotel experience was very positive. Very quiet at night even though rooms were full. Rooms were recently renovated, very clean and bed was comfortable. TV was great with plenty of channels to choose from. Overall great place to relax and rest.

Great stay. The room I stayed in was well maintained and well engineered for comfort as well as cleanliness. Housekeeping kept my room well stocked and cleaned during my stay. No noise whatsoever was heard once in the room each evening. Breakfast was nice with a good selection of items to choose from. Parking was good and the facility was easy to access. There are a couple of nice places to eat dinner within easy walking distance of the facility.

Clean, roomy, good bed and pillows. It was close to the interstate and the Ky Expo Center. Will definitely stay there again. There was some noise from the airport but I have train noise at my home so it didn't bother us very much.

Stayed here the night before our flight. Good room, only downfall a bit noisy from traffic and planes landing. Not terrible for a free stay as I used points. The room was very clean and up to date. Would stay again if flying out of this airport.

Good hotel, great location for bourbon and beyond festival or anything at the Kentucky fairgrounds. Close to airport too. The free breakfast was good and fresh every morning. Great staff, very helpful and knowledgeable

This place looks shady but it was a clean and lovely stay for one night. It could be perfect if it had been updated and little things were ironed out. Overall, perfect airport to stay in before getting on your flight. We did not do breakfast, but overall good stay.

We booked here for the Bourbon and Beyond music festival, and it was perfect to be able to walk there and avoid parking and traffic. The prices were elevated to meet demand, but it was adequate in providing a place to stay.

Big parking lot easy off interstates. Rooms include sink, fridge. Very comfortable linens and pillows. Many hot breakfast options. Friendly, helpful staff. Looks like hotel has been recently updated too.

Excellent location near fairgrounds and horse competitions. Great value for the area. Room was typical for Best Western, with a desk and good bed - although our mattress was sagging very slightly on one side and probably should be replaced. Internet was dependable, which we appreciate since this was partially a business trip for us. No places to eat dinner (especially late night) within walking distance, but several good places within a short drive. Excellent parking, although the back parking lot should be better lit. Staff (front lobby, desk, and cleaning personnel) are excellent here.

My room was very, very spacious which was nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The walls are very thin, but most other guest were not loud at all despite it being a weekend. I overall enjoyed my stay.

This particular locations car park was inadequate. There was a dip in the car park area before the patio overhang area. There was a 2" difference between the height of the asphalt and the height of the patio. On Thursday June 23, 2022 as I was walking in the hotel, my foot caught the lip if the patio and I fell on the patio landing on my stomach hitting my right knee in the process. I notified the front desk about the incident. I had him come outside with me to explain how and why. NO WHERE is there a caution watch step sign. The manager the next day apologized and said they would get it fixed. I spent over 4 hours in the emergency room on June 23 getting my knee taken care of. The lack of maintaining the property is unacceptable. NEVER was I asked to fill out an incident report. I will NEVER stay at this location again nor would I EVER refer anyone there as well. I'm sorry after the accident does not take away the pain I am dealing with. How about you FIX the issue so this never happens again.

Great location near the airport, the Expo Center, and Churchill Downs. Convenient access to the University and other attractions. Plenty of parking, good breakfast that included hot foods, nice staff. Very clean.

My daughter and I stayed here for an event nearby. When we first arrived to check-in, we were told we were upgraded to a suite! That was great because it gave my 15 year old daughter her own space, and me a closed off room to sleep lol! The breakfast was great and the room was clean! The only thing that was disappointing was the temperature of the shower, because I love my hot showers, but other than that great hotel!

We were there for the Kentucky Derby and had a great stay. Everything was clean and the service was excellent. The staff did everything possible to make sure the stay was great. We could not have expected anything more.

Stay there the front desk were so rude very unprofessional I would not recommend this to anyone they did not want to meet my reservation and tried to force me to another room was asked to leave in the middle of the night because of something someone else is doing in another room so I had to pack me and my wife and children up at 2 in the morning because I was being threatened with the police I said something to management I have video of how rude and disrespectful the front desk is and nothing was done

This hotel exceed my expectations. The room is extremely clean and very large. I have a king bed with a couch for watching tv. The tv is one of the largest I've had while staying at a hotel. It has to exceed 42 which is a plus for me. The fridge is also on the large size. I will definitely stay here in the future for business. The front desk also accommodated my request for a first floor since I go outside for smoking.

Nothing special about this property. No housekeeping (they didn't even ask what room we were in when we complained),no coffee (machine broke), Staff unconcerned and almost rude on checkout. Not up to Best Western's usual standards.

Annual show at the Louisville Fairgrounds and I decided to beat the traffic and stay close by. After reading the online reviews I decided to try the SureStay as I had great luck with the Best Western chain of motels. The staff (Paula?) are pleasant to deal with and were very knowledgeable of the facility as well as near by places to eat. The room I stayed in was located on the third floor on the back side of the facility. I was concerned about noise from the nearby airport, but that never was a problem. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean as well as maintained. A decent breakfast was provided with a good selection of things to consume, with fresh fruit being available. the only drawback was the staff had to serve you, but that is just a requirement due to the C19 issue and not their fault. The motel is located less than 5 minutes from the fairgrounds depending on traffic. There is also a few nice places to eat if you don't feel like driving. Paper thin walls let us hear neighbor coughing and vomiting all night. Hotel was nowhere near full so no reason to even have put anyone in adjoining rooms. Faucet was loose. Treadmill was clearly old and on the verge of blowing up.Staff was nice enough and hotel was clean at least.

We had a wonderful stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful, allowing us to check in a little earlier than check in time. The breakfast was very good with a nice variety. We liked the covid safety measures they had during breakfast. We would definitely stay here again.

We were in front and so I watched planes land all night but not in an annoying way. We were less than a miles from the Expo Center and Crown Plaza where our son competes. Aldi and plenty eateries are within half a mile. DoorDash comes with ease but better than that, you're near the airport and South area of town which means you don't have to fight as much traffic if traveling North. We always felt safe. It's important to note that they do not have a business center whatsoever, the pool is outdoors and the gym is still shutdown. If in a rush and more than two people in front of you at breakfast, you likely need to hit a drive through versus waiting. Knowing what we know, we'd stay there again. It's a great deal for what you get.

We experienced this hotel last year during the pandemic and it was a good experience. I wrote then that I would stay here again when we were in the area. And we did. And it was another good experience.

At first glance it was a nice clean place. Then i started to notice deferred maintenance in the bathroom especially. Dirt stuck to the floor of the shower, water stains on the ceilings etc. Beds were comfortable. Rooms were large but bland. They had some transient visitors smoking some vape in the lobby right before I entered. Was not very comfortable standing outside the place. Didn't try the food so cannot comment.

Really enjoyed our room and the facility. Nice clean pet walking area. Good breakfast. Comfortable bed. Refrigerator and microwave. A big room. No carpet, clean floor. Good water pressure. Sweet staff. Well run hotel.

We've been using SureStay for some of our drivers to stay and they are absolutely wonderful. Rini is a pleasure to work with and none of my employees have had a complaint yet. Clean rooms, price you can't beat and wonderful wonderful staff all around.

I had a great experience at the Best Western in Louisville, KY Staff was great and the location was perfect. Would definitely recommend this hotel !!! Very clean and very spacious room. Access to laundry services and close to restaurants and the airport.

This was an awesome stay. We stayed 3 nights for an event at the Expo Center. There is adequate free parking, outside pool, free breakfast. The rooms are clean. There are comfortable beds, pillows, microwave, refrigerator, iron, hair dryer. I was not bothered by airplane noise. The staff is what really made this an excellent stay. They are friendly and seem genuinely happy to have you as a guest. This will be my choice hotel when staying near Louisville.

Staff was very friendly. As I was walking in they were sanitizing the lobby and they did it often. The hotel was very clean and did not have that hotel smell. Room appeared to have been remodeled recently. Laminate flooring throughout the room. Bed was most comfortable I've ever slept in at a hotel. Breakfast was good. I will definitely stay here again, when I have to stay in Louisville. Great place for the cost.

This is my 1st stay at this hotel and i was pleasantly suprised! It was clean, the staff was courteous , it was close to the theme park and interstate and they served breakfast! The food was good and no complaints other than the very slow and low quality wifi connection experienced.

Conveniently located near the interstate. Easy to get into and out of. Located near restaurants and the airport. Most people stay here for the airport or nearby theme park/water park. We stayed because it was close to the Zoo and the Mega Caverns. This was an enjoyable stay and the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Rooms were very clean and roomy. Liked the laminate floors vs dirty old carpet especially since we had our dog with us. Loved the kitchenette area with sink and microwave and the fridge was a good size. Loved that the bathroom sink was separate from rest of bath area so some could shower while others used the mirror. Also had complentary water, tea and coffee in the lobby. Breakfast had a large variety of got and cold foods. Overall stay was very pleasent. Was only a 3 minute drive to Kentucky Kingdom.

Had a great stay here. Considering the price I paid I was really impressed. Very close to Kentucky Kingdom and was great for a one night stay. Had some sketchy people outside when we first got there that made getting our bags a little uncomfortable since I have 3 kids.

Our family had a great experience. Clean rooms, cold AC and a great breakfast. The servers during breakfast did a great job with serving under the pandemic circumstances. The airport is right across the road, but with the fan that we brought, we never heard the first plane. Kentucky kingdom and the Zoo are very close drives from here. Would stay here again if ever in Louisville.

The location was great right down the street from Kentucky kingdom. The area felt very safe. We didn't like the pull out bed it was very hard. But I experienced that at most hotels. Staff at the front desk were friendly but the African American lady serving breakfast needed better customer service.

We are only into our first evening here. I can clearly hear the folks on either side of us and in the hallway. The tiny fitness room has only three very old and worn cardio machines and two don't work. The treadmill is loud but works. There are no paper or cloth towels. There is a TV but no remote. The controls on the recumbent bike are worn off. The elliptical machine is dead. The washer and dryer are out of order. Other than that it's a nice place and a good value. Friendly staff. Love the ice water in the lobby. There is coffee and a juice machine. Clean interior. Room is large and smells fine.

Staff was polite, friendly, and very accomodating. Breakfast was different (it wasn't serve yourself, there was a server) but good, bed was very comfy, although it was very close to the airport, it didn't interfere with sleeping. We had an issue with a bedside lamp that was taken care of very quickly. There was not an attitude to be had by any of the staff we encountered. All in all a wonderful stay and I would definitely stay there again if I'm back in that area.

Good: Close to popular attractions. Good price. Had a pool. Seemed updated. Breakfast was good. Kids really liked it. Issues: Small pool Windows were open on arrival. A/C did little for humidity. Need was broken. Exhaust fan did not function. Bathroom handle was installed backwards. Floor was wet. Not in a great part of town. Not many close, big name options for food.

A large party was allowed in lobby after 10 pm and all the noise came right down the hall to guest rooms. Management was not responsive. Would never recommend this hotel . Had to call and and go to lobby to file a complaint. Little help from clerk and manager

My husband and I needed a place to stay last minute. After looking online and reading reviews we decided on the SureStay as reviews were relatively positive. The hotel itself was ok even though it is in close proximity to a not so nice area. The breakfast served was phenomenal. Our only complaints were that there was a funky smell in the hallway on the third floor, almost like someone was burning incense. The shower curtain was moldy along the entire bottom edge signifying it had not been washed or changed out in quite some time. For our purpose, the shower was hot and the bed comfortable for the 9 hours we were there.

The staff was friendly the hotel was clean and we had a great time!! We spend time with family and met there to get together to enjoy the Holiday with each other. The hotel made our experience alot of fun!!

Never stayed in a Best Western Hotel before so I didn't have a expectation but i was impressed. Very Nice and friendly staff. Room and TV was a good size and Breakfast was ok. Bacon was under cooked though.

Area leaves a bit to be desired, but the hotel is clean with friendly staff! Great value for money! The hotel is right across the street from the airport, we chose it due to its proximity to I-65 which was 1.1 miles.

Had book a room at another hotel and had to find a new place....this hotel was amazing and got us in quick and was super clean! With it being so close to the Expo center and restaurants was a big plus as well!!

Our stay started off unpleasantly. Our first room had unpleasant trash left behind in two drawers which raised our concerns for cleanliness of that room. Front desk quickly resolved our issue by moving us to another room which had no issues. They even called later to make sure we were okay. We had the King. Very spacious. Loved having no carpet.

Had a hard time choosing a hotel for myself and dog to stay in. So many other hotels nearby had poor ratings on the safety aspects. This one lived up to the online reviews. I felt safe and the plus was that the room was very nice as well. Staff was helpful and this hotel actually had a hot breakfast available, which most I have stayed at the last few months have not had anything available. Internet connection stayed solid the whole weekend.

This site is now a Best Western SureStay Plus. This location is on Preston Highway next to bridge that goes over I-264. Because of the way the road meets with the bridge it is difficult to see the hotel from the highway. My room was nicely furnished. There is a food/ beverage nook and counter with a sink. The towels were good quality towels. The WIFi was up most of the time. The front desk staff were knowledgeable. A guest laundry is available for a nominal amount. The walls and floors in the lobby and hallways are well kept.

Staff was very nice, room was clean, and the bed slept so good. I like the biscuit and gravy for breakfast. I was close to my family and activities we were attending. It's by the airport if you're flying in you can just book this hotel and go across the street for your stay.

Recently renovated, the hotel and our room were attractive, fastidiously clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Very welcoming for our dog, a 65 lb. lab. Close to the airport but still surprisingly quiet.

Luckily they don't clean rooms after checking people out. Booked for two nights for business trip. Came back after my first night to find I was checked out of my room the first night at 5:45a while I was still sleeping. Didn't find this out until 20min of the lady trying to even find my name. It took for me to show her my confirmation email to believe me and actually care to look that I was there. It's a longer story but they refunded me for the night I didn't use and that's it. Don't spend your money here.

I only stayed for a night but it was a nice hotel, they had a lot of channels on the tv and the room had everything that you need for a trip. They had a great choice on how to serve breakfast during covid; recommend 10/10.

I was there for a extended period my son was very sick in and out of the hospital. The staff was always concerned and asking how he was doing. They were very accommodating in all of my needs.I made some good friends I always felt safe and cared bout.

Pleasantly staffed hotel. Helpful and accommodating. Rooms are extremely clean with quality amenities. Huge television, loved the kitchenette. Close to airport and places to eat. Great value for money.

Everything was fine until 4th night. I flushed the toilet and a lower portion of the tank broke off. I reported it, and the night staff moved me to another room. The next day, the Front Desk staff accused me of breaking the toilet and kept my $250 deposit.

Don't stay here. The room was updated as far as finishes, except the toilet / shower room, and that was fine, but the room smelled. I couldn't even place the smell - either stale cigarette smoke or musty. It was most evident when I laid on the worn, tired bedding. There were people hanging out in the back of the hotel under a pavilion talking loud all night outside my window. I didn't feel safe parking back there and also couldn't fall asleep because of the noise.

Everything was perfect from the workers to the food and my kids loved it cause of the pool very clean i would highly recommend this to everyone I usually stay in the Ramada but now I have a new hotel thanks guys

First, if you want a King room, you apparently can't have a room on the top floor. Something you definitely wouldn't know when booking a room. (Personally, I would prefer to be on the top floor, regardless of the room type.) If you want to be on the fop floor, you need to get a double room. We went into our room (on the top floor). It was a confusing room. We walked in and saw new "wood" floors, but once we walked in, the room smelled very musty and old. We walked further into the room, and it had newer furnishings, but then, it had old "kitchen" cabinets. It appears they did a partial upgrade. We went to call the front desk to ask a question, only to find out that there was a phone, but it had no phone cord. I think if it's not going to work, they should just take the phone out of the room. It would be helpful to have some sort of information sheet in the room to let you know what amenities are open, what channels are available, what time breakfast is served, and other things like that, so you don't have to call the front desk. A hot breakfast was served with options of scrambled eggs, bacon, tater tots, waffles, bagels, oj and coffee.

The experience was great the staff was perfect made me feel at home during my transition from Alabama to Kentucky , I am so satisfied that I will stay at best Western no matter where I go. I would definitely suggest this motel to friends and family

Clean and great price. If you're going to Kentucky Kingdom, perfect. But we weren't. And the main reason we chose this hotel was for the outdoor pool. Found our it wasn't open when we checked in. The, we get to our room, and it hadn't been cleaned. Towels on the floor, bed unmade. Most likely won't return here...and probably won't choose a SureStay location for future travel. That being said, if you're just looking for a place to lay your head, it's good for that.

Had never even heard of this chain before and was going off reviews which turned out to be accurate. Nice place with clean room and comfortable bed. Breakfast was grab and go sadly. On list if in area.

From the moment we checked in you could tell that this hotel had just been remodeled. The walls were repainted. The floor coverings are brand new. The plumbing fixtures are all brand new. The king size bed seemed brand new. Everything was super clean. It was a great stay.

Staff was nice rooms were clean and big. The pool was not open yet due to Covid 19 so that was understandable. I wish they had seating in front the sitting out back is far from the door for sitting at night time, Overall nice stay!

Check-in staff was warm and friendly. Our room was large and clean, newly remodeled. It had a small wet bar, fridge, microwave, in-room coffee maker, armchair, desk/chair. The bed/pillows were comfortable. The lobby was being remodeled so the breakfast room was located on our floor (#2): scrambled eggs, sausage patties, biscuits & gravy, pastries, bagels, cereal, juice and coffee.

First day at the surestay Plus how tall was very nice. The front desk employees were very kind and helpful the hotel was bright and clean, nice decor. The rooms were nice and clean and decorated nicely. The breakfast was top-notch, eggs, sausage and biscuits, waffles, muffins, cereal, and any kind of breakfast drinks you could want

Alton the front desk supervisor was extremely courteous and helpful to me during my time here! I'm thankful that he took the time out to help me fix my situation! I will definitely be staying here again!

If possible, it's even better than when it was a LaQuinta. I do wish the pet fee were per DAY instead of per DOG ( I have 2 small non-shedding dogs who stay in their crates. They definitely did not cause $30 worth of dirt each day)

Best hotel service I have ever seen the front desk lady was very friendly and helpful. She worked extra shifts and still every time I seen her she had a smile on her face and had a conversation with me.

we stay here every year for the louisville farm show . we love this hotel ,its close to the expo center and always clean and very friendly staff. many renovations are being done and we cant wait to go back next year,we have already booked a room for next years farm show.

The hotel is conveniently located near the Louisville International Airport, and although in what would be considered a noisy area the hotel is surprisingly quiet. It's currently under renovation, but most of it is already finished and did not affect our stay. The staff is friendly and hospitable; our room was updated, clean, and comfortable. I highly recommend!

Our room was a recently remodeled room and while the hotel remodeling was not complete we had an excellent stay. No noise or concerns and front desk staff made sure we knew where breakfast was temporary being served. Breakfast was excellent and well presented and displayed an “A” rating from local health department. The room was very modern and very clean as well as excellent bedding. We would definitely stay here again and I expect we will in 2020.

The rooms have been remodeled to an extent. The room still had an outdated bathroom and the furnishings are still dated. We called the front desk to complain about LOUD, arguing guests next door. This issue continued all night. The lobby employees were not professionally dressed and did not act professional either.

We were put in an “adjoining room” and the noise was terrible, esp on our first night. It was as though we were in the room with the person next door. When I asked the next morning about possibly moving rooms, the staff member was incredibly rude and made no attempt to help.

Great motel! Savannah, met us at the front desk and remember us from November 2018 and was just fabulous!! All the staff from the front desk , housekeeping, breakfast attendant was outstanding! Checkout was also a breeze. This is our motel in Louisville. Now, beware! This motel is on the departure end of runway 35R and the arrival end of 17L at SDF Louisville International Airport. You will here air traffic especially UPS from 2300 until 0200 then again from 0400-0700. This DID NOT interrupt our sleep. We knew this going upon booking. Also this is a pet friendly motel charge is $15/day. Still this is a favorite motel when we come to Louisville!

These girl are the best! Outstanding customer service, should definitely have more people like Kelsey and Terri! I cant express the amount of respect and honesty theses people had and house keeping was perfect.

Dirty sheets, mildew order in bathroom and a centipede, remote did not work, really loud plane noise, not the safest of neighborhoods. One plus, not easy to get across the busy road but close to the freeway.

Great stop on our way home from Panama City Beach, FL. This is a great location to hop off of 65 and then onto 234. We loved the big TV in the rooms!!! The bathroom needs some updating other than that we really enjoyed the hotel!

Plan to eat OUT for breakfast!! Hot food was BEYOND inedible, Powdered eggs nasty, under cooked sausage with a funny smell, biscuits had been microwaved and VERY tough, gravy tasted like melted plastic, hot coffee and cold muffins edible, waffle maker not working properly, when staff notified they ATTEMPTED to fix it but were unsuccessful, only pump creamer for coffee was Vanilla, was told by staff no other available, maybe they should leave the FREE BREAKFAST OFF the web site and change it to eat at OWN RISK!! However rooms were clean and comfortable, close to many destinations including airport.

We was on a business trip. The front desk was exceptionally kind. Great location to the expo center. The only complaint is the price was way too expensive for a two night stay. The room was big and nice.

Extremely large room with nice King Size bed, kitchenette and full bath. Seemed to be newly remodeled. Breakfast was very nice and had a variety of foods to choose from. Easy location to find, right of off the interstate and good food places in area around it.

We had never stayed in a Sure Stay before. We were very impressed with the large room we were given. Although older in decor, it was very comfortable. The suite portion was large and gave us the ability to "move" around before retiring to the comfortable bed. Our stay was one we would repeat if in Louisville again.

We enjoyed our stay at the SureStay Plus. We took a room with a king-size bed and a sleeper couch and there was lots of room to walk around. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Unfortunately it was one of those high beds that everyone is using these days where you need a step stool to get on to it. I'm not sure that I understand the logic of a bed that's three feet off the ground but I guess that's the way it is now. Fortunately we had the couch to be able to sit on to tie our shoes. The hotel had a complimentary buffet breakfast and I have to say it was better than most. All of the items were fresh and hot. The staff was pleasant and we especially liked manager Rini who was very friendly and made some excellent dining recommendations for us.

The hotel was welcoming and in a great location, the rooms were clean, and most importantly, I slept comfortably through the night. I used the free internet and will definitely stay again if in the area.

Updated rooms, very clean. Friendly staff & great price. Breakfast bar was standard and kept well stocked. Location is OK..Hometown pizza is a block away and was very good. A short drive to other restaurants and Churchill Downs.

I definitely will recommend this hotel to all of my friend who visit this area in US！ the room is big and the beds are very comfortable, all the staff are very friendly and warmly, they have a great meeting room in the second floor for us to do projects and the breakfast is very nice, better than many restaurants nearby. The hotel is located in a very convenient place and easy to find, I hardly find any dislike of this hotel, the owner of this hotel make it very close to a home feeling place! That I will have no doubts to choose it again next time!

Cost was really high for this 2 day stay considering the location. Staff was very friendly and great but I think the prices were extremely increased because of the events for that weekend. That would be the only reason we would not stay again. We didnt even attend the festivities that weekend but paid the price for it anyway.

I had a overall good experience with this hotel and staff everyone and everything was great, close to restaurants and things to do I would recommend this hotel to anyone coming to this area, clean and very helpful staff

I always rely on TripAdvisor reviews when selecting a hotel. This is the first time I have been disappointed and strongly disagree with most of the reviews. We were in Louisville to attend Hometown Rising. I'll start with the positive. The room was nice and clean. The hotel is in a shady area of town with absolutely nothing within reasonable walking distance. I would not go outside at night without my husband. We selected this hotel because of the ratings and the proximity to the Kentucky Expo Centre. They claim it's within walking distance but it definitely wasn't (unless you're a seasoned walker). We arrived on Friday and despite the disappointment with the surrounding area, we were pleased with the room. I was a bit uncomfortable with the people lounging around in the lobby. I don't know if they were paying guests. I did see one of them emerge from an old van in the parking lot quite early the next morning. I had some trouble getting to sleep because of the truck and traffic noise outside the hotel. The worst experience is that we were both jolted out of a deep sleep at 5 a.m. on Saturday morning by airplanes directly overhead (we didn't know if they were taking off or landing). We counted six in approximately a half hour before the deafening noise subsided. By then we were wide awake. When I went down for breakfast Sunday morning at 8:45 am, the eggs and sausage were depleted. They did replenish them after 15 minutes or so. Other hotels in the area were offering a free shuttle service to and from the Expo grounds. Not this one so we had to pay $20.00 each day for parking. I feel very strongly that other reviewers got this one wrong.

The room was clean the staff was rude. I had a problem that they didn't clean my room one day but the owner had it cleaned ASAP for me. However when she is not there her staff is more worried about their phones then their jobs.

My husband and I stopped here for one night. Very clean and updated hotel. Rooms have fridge, microwave, and wet bar. Check in was good. Cheryl was very friendly and helpful. All staff we came in contact couldn't be nicer. Will definitely stay again

Very clean, great staff good food in walking distance...Savannah McCauley at the front desk was professional and very helpful. Coming back through on a return trip so will stay there again. Didn't use the pool but looked clean and saw a guy checking chemical levels in the morning, breakfast was really good as well!

I stay at a great deal of hotels throughout the year. This was a true disappointment. We found that there were no pillows or linens for the sofa bed when we went to set it up for the night. We called down to the front desk and were told we could come down there and get them if we wanted them. I went down to find the front desk agent plopped on her butt in the back reclining and screwing around. She got me a blanket and told me she didn't have a pillow for us because housekeeping didn't put them out for her, and we would have to wait until someone from Housekeeping or maintenance came in later. I asked if there was anything we could do and was told nope. I picked up the regional managers card at this point and told her I would ask them for a pillow and headed back to my room. About 3 minutes later she knocked on the door with 2 pillows. She said I just needed to be patient while she got them from another room. So obviously the way to get customer service at this hotel is to offer to involve management. The newly remodeled room was ok at best. Decor is hideous! From the Neon yellow desk light, and vinyl like faux wood flooring, right down to the purple fabric sofa with chocolate brown vinyl cushions. It felt more like a no-tell motel than a Best Western affiliated hotel. I reccomend you spend a few more dollars a night and go elsewhere! If you are used to Best Westerns you will be very disappointed with the Sure Stay line.

Great hotel to stay at when visiting the Kentucky Expo Center. It's conveniently located (walking distance) to the Expo and has the best value for your money spent on lodging! The difference maker will always be the staff - and they made the difference in the best way!

Room was very cleanly, up to date, and spacious. Hotel staff was friendly ABC's helpful. Only complaint was biscuits were hard for breakfast and gravy was cold. Maybe the breakfast staff was having a bad day. Ready of the food was great though.

Room was ok, floor was dirty upon arrival. We had left a pack of cigarettes on the desk and cleaning staff stole all but one cigarette in the pack. Room did not have adequate toilet paper, tissues or coffee restocked instead housekeeper was more interested in taking our cigarettes. Reported this to front desk and were told the manager would be notified. It's been several days and no one from the hotel has addresses the issue. Breakfast was good when the items were stocked. Both mornings most things were low or almost out and staff took a long time to restock breakfast items. Plan on getting to breakfast at 6am when it first starts if you don't want to wait 30 minutes to eat. The overall experience was it was a room to stay in but don't expect stellar service and breakfast is hit or miss depending on how many guests are staying on a given night.

Had a wonderful experience! Hotel was clean room renovated with hard floors love the no carpet. Was right across from the airport but didn't notice much noise! Wonderful and friendly staff! Will for sure be staying here again!

The Noisiest Best Western I've ever stayed at! We got no rest because of constantly slamming doors, people yelling and the location they chose to put us in. The staff was very unhelpful, the room was definitely not the cleanest and the hair dryer didn't even work. As a gold member I expected considerably more.

Thank you for a great stay!! No issues at all, having to come back after another hotel disaster was easy. Beds were comfy and housekeeping was great. The breakfast was good, just really not enough food or area for a full hotel.

After celebrating the 4th of July with my wife and teen daughter we went back to the hotel. The night attendant didn't welcome us or even notice us. She made my daughter wait for over 10 min at the counter before helping her get a drink and snack. The same employee kept calling our room telling us there were noise complaints. This was not reality, there were 3 of us winding down and going to sleep. At 2:30 am there was a loud knock on the door. It was the police saying the attendant wanted us out for being to loud and smoking in the room. The police did not smell smoke as we don't smoke. But because she called the police we had no choice but to leave at 2:30 am. There was also an insuran bottle in the fridge with a needle! Not clean, the AC wasn't strong. All in all the hotel was a run down Laquinta concerted to a Sure Stay. Stay away!

Used this hotel for the SkillsUSA National event in June. Location was ideal due to proximity to KEC. Students were pleased to have access to a pool. Rooms were suitable with working A/C. Most importantly the staff was friendly and provided excellent service.

Overall good stay. breakfast was good. Staff were polite and engaging. friendly cleaning staff. Hotel was changing names and there have been some cosmetic changes that have spruced up property. Close to all important areas.

First time stay with a SureStay Plus hotel and from the check in to check out I was happy with the all parts of the stay. From the friendly staff to the room and breakfast, I was not disappointed with my stay.

We were traveling through and stayed here. Wow! Beds and pillows were amazing and breakfast was great!! Eggs were perfect and not watery. We travel a lot for soccer and this hotel was clean and I have never slept through night at a hotel ever. But I did last night!!!!! Great place front desk was great and gave me a pillow since we were in a hurry and ran out without one!!! Really great place!!!

Spent our last night at this hotel before flying out of Denver back home to South Africa. Had an amazing 18 day roadtrip across Colorado, Utah, New Mexico and Texas this hotel was the best hand down. Great rooms, clean and well appointed. The breakfast was top notch for the price. Highly recommended

The top floor is under construction. You get to hear power tools, hammers, etc. Anytime of the day. Calling the front desk does nothing. "They're really trying to knock out that renovation". I've been staying here for the truck show for 5 years, and won't be back again. The rest of it is clean, average hotel I suppose. But when the noise above you is so loud you can't hear the TV, you're really not getting what you pay for. TV goes in and out like they have bad signal anyway. Listening to what I can assume is a sawzall as I type this. Constant noise, went past 8pm last night.

This hotel, which is now a Best Western, is located near the airport, so it's quite noisy even when you're inside the hotel. Our room was recently renovated and was nice, but the stopper to the sink was broken and the tv and toilet did not work well. Most of the staff was nice; however, the housekeeping department did not do a good job cleaning our room.

Hotel was easy to find. Check-in was a breeze and as others have stated, the front desk employees were excellent - very friendly. They were in process of painting the hallways, so there were "wet paint" signs everywhere (this is no way a negative, but good to see the new owners are updating the hotel). Room was clean. Beds were hard but fine for me. My only negatives were I could clearly hear the people talking in the room next to me as if they were in my room. If you like to flip channels on the TV it was extremely slow changing from channel to channel. I'd certainly stay here again, especially since it was close and very easy to get to the Expo center.

Savannah was very helpful sweet and kind,I walked in and had no wait at all getting checked in,that's something you don't find at many hotels,because of her I will stay here again,thank you savannah you're we're great!
