Best Western Premier Aberdeen Kamloops

This is good location and the staff tried their best. The rooms, specifically the temperature control and the mattresses was awful. The parking area is very limited and if you arrive a bit late int he night, like 09:00PM (the time we arrived) the lot is full and good luck trying to find an alternate spot to park. The breakfast, is a sham, it is better to to just drive outside and pick food from any nearby places like a Tim's or McDonalds. The location is good, close to highway and various food places.

We had the best experience, our room was very clean, and the beds were very comfy. Absolutely loved the darkening blind, and the sun screen blind. The staff was awesome. It had all the ammenites we needed and more, Pool, Hot tub, sauna, gym. The Katch Restaurant was also fantastic. Great service and great food. The only Critique I would have is that there is no room service, but you can get your food to go.

Call ahead and ask before booking hot tub suite. It doesn't work, and judging by other reviews, never does. Yet, they still charge extra for it. Kind of scammy. Same room is right above lounge and is VERY loud.

I have stayed in numerous Best Westerns throughout Canada and U.S. and I have to say I was a little upset over the standards of this hotel. The room was ok with rugs removed and laminate on the floor which for me believe this is much nicer and cleaner. We had a kitchenette room but did not use the stove, etc. The room was nicely decorated, bed comfortable but items around room needed attention. The safe in room did not work, the fridge freezer was solid ice and needed defrosting to be able to use and the TV, well Shaw cable, the channels as list left were not there and some channels had no sound. The window was so dirty that looking outside was hard to do. The Hot Tub was not heated at all and the front desk mentioned that they had forgotten to turn it up even though the hotel was near full because of provincial Volleyball teams competing and staying here and ther hotels. The front desk person turned heater on for the hot tub up and said it would take about an hour. It never heated up even after an hour. The hotel advertises breakfast but this is not accurate. As I indicated, I have been all over staying in Best Westerns as they have all been consistent and all have had complimentary breakfasts, but this one did not. If you wanted a breakfast you paid for it in the restaurant that is attached to the hotel. Other Best Westerns that have had restaurants attached have provided coupon for breakfast for their guests, this one did not. I am disappointed given the price of staying at a Best Western that this hotel in my view does not meet the standards of all others I have stayed in. There is obviously a lack of pride in running this hotel. Would I stay here again, probably not given the fact that if in Kamloops there are a large number of other hotels with price ranges lower than the Best Western.

We were booked into this property at Kamloops by Rocky Mountaineer - for Gold Leaf Service. First up, Rocky Mountaineer arrived very late into Kamloops due to delays. But on the positive note, they handed us our room keycards on the train before we disembarked, so we could proceed to our rooms immediately upon our transfer and arrival. At close to 9.15-9.30 pm arrival, there was nothing we could at the property. Even the dining room was about to close. We requested for a kettle but this property did not have any. We were told to head into the dining room and request for hot water, that we did. Room was not well lit. Beds were however comfy. Air-conditioning unit were loud and fidgety, to the point where the reception staff asked me - a guest - to look under the a/c unit to press the 'reset' button and then do a few other button switches to turn it ON. Toilet was functioning - at least this basic necessity was operational. If you are booked into this property as part of your travel package or with Rocky Mountaineer, you'd have little to no choice. However if you are looking to self-book, avoid this property as there are many other properties in downtown Kamloops. I've rated 2 out of 5 because of poor and almost non-existent customer / guest services.

We were allocated this hotel by Rocky Mountaineer as our overnight stop in Kamloops. Perfectly fine. Clean. Quiet. Friendly reception staff. Complimentary coffee in the morning which helped with the RM early start the following morning! We arrived fairly late so didn't use the restaurant. The hotel's about a 10-15 minute drive from the RM station and it's not in the centre of Kamloops, so apart from a shopping mall around the corner and a few restaurants and shops across the road there's not much in the vicinity.

I was brought here and felt I could never find my way back. The hotel seemed surrounded by highways and shopping malls. Having said that, the hotel was fine. My room was very well equipped with kitchen, fridge, a bathroom with bath, big TV, but no view to speak of. That did not bother me. I was very tired and had an early start the next day. My room was quiet, the bed was comfortable and I could have a great wash.

Filthy bathroom stayed in hotel on Friday Aug 31 and the bathroom tile were filthy covered in brown sluge could not use shower went to frount desk no one was there called hotel could not get any one to help a day later the manager responded after reading my goggle review and said the had the tile steam cleaned after I left no refund or any thing don't stay here unless you want to clean your self best western is a joke of a hotel

Would not recommend.Breakfast was suppose to be included with our rooms as there were around 40 family members all staying there, for a wedding in town, and staff new nothing about it. Parking lot is so tight you are guaranteed door dings on your vehicle. I requested a copy of my room receipt from head office and hotel and never did get a copy. Upon check in I reported no paper towels in men's lobby washroom and 3 days later there were still none. Overall poorly run.Rooms ere fine.

This was a great find for us on our quarterly trips to Whistler from Edmonton. Very access access from the highway. The hotel common areas and rooms are very clean and appear well cared for. Pet friendly room was comfortable and accommodating. Front desk staff were very friendly and efficient at both check in and check out. The Katch Craft Kitchen & Bar are on-site and have a great little balcony area with tables. Food here was very good but they do seem to run out of certain items quite often, especially on the happy hour menu. The hotel is located within easy walking distance of restaurants, pharmacies, gas stations and fast food. This is our second time staying here and we will mostly likely continue to do so.

Wish I was staying longer and here for better circumstances. The staff were all very kind and lovely to be again. After a long emotional night in the ER the staff here were gentle and worked hard to ensure that my family had a second home to rest our heads because having to return back to the hospital.

We staying at this hotel for a family wedding. Reservations were a nightmare - mixed up number of rooms booked, dates, etc. Check in was inconsistent, front desk didn't know about breakfast vouchers included with booking, rooms weren't cleaned daily as requested, tubs don't drain, air conditioners so loud you can't hear the alarms on your phone. Staff not the friendliest but restaurant under different management was great!

Great hotel, staff are friendly and the rooms and beds are comfortable. It's quiet , clean and well located. Good views from our room too. Fabulous restaurant on site also with excellent service, great ambience and really good good .

Do not stay here. The service is completely unacceptable when dealing with issues. In fact, it's non-existent. I believe I received a sub-par room because I was traveling with my 10 pound dog. I do not recommend this hotel.

Upon check-in, I was offered an upgrade and staff went out of their way to welcome me and show appreciation that I was there. Wow. Breakfast was hot with some good choices, room was amazing and staff so friendly and helpful.

THE GOOD: This hotel was clean and in a good location. Reception was very friendly and even recommended a great restaurant for all of us to eat at! THE BAD: Found out that the Pool, Hot Tub and Hotel Pub were all closed, upon check-in. This information would have been nice to know at time of booking! Disappointed to be charged FULL BOOKING Price with all the closures! My suggestion would be for the hotel to update their website to let potential customers know of the amenity closures so they can decide whether or not they want to stay at this hotel. Maybe that's why there isn't anything posted on their website!

Jaccuzi didn't work. Called front desk, told me how to turn it on and I had done that but then tried it again and still didn't work so tried called back for about 20 minutes. Finally got an answer and she came up and tried it and it still didn't work, Said she would call maintenance and then never heard from her the rest of the night. In the morning I told the next front desk woman and she said she heard about it. I wasn't offered to change rooms that night, and wasn't offered a discount at check out. I found the staff to be friendly but unhelpful. Beds were the most comfortable I've ever slept in though.

This is my families FAVORITE hotel when visiting Kamloops. The staff here is beyond hospitable. The front desk ladies are the sweetest! The staff that cleans the rooms are so kind! It's a friendly and professional atmosphere. They all work hard to keep this place amazing. I am quite impressed with this hotel and their staff. I have stayed at many hotels and these guys are by far the BEST my family and i have ever experienced!

We got there at a busy time. The hotel was full of unsupervised young teenagers. Unfortunately our room was next to a noisy meeting room, which was where the parents were socializing until midnight, while the kids were running around upstairs

I had a Comfortable stay at this location. I also had a good restful sleep. The hotel had a clean room. It was Well equipped with amenities. I believe that the restaurant was under renovation, but the hotel provided the regular fast breakfast.

Small over priced room. Noisy , sounded like marching in room above. Staff was not at all friendly. No hot breakfast as advertised and not advised of this at check-in. Restaurant is closed. And did not receive any reward points as platinum member. Would not recommend this hotel.

Terrible stay Oct 9th. Restaurant closed--owner trying to lease out. Dirty entrance...noisy floor above. Mgr never called back after numerous emails and tel calls. Not what I expected from Best Western standards. DON'T stay at this location!!!!!!!

Was charged a total of three times for my room. Was told it was a hold but two of the charges occurred after I checked out. Check you charges - they are misusing credit cards and charging more than the agreed amounts

We found this Best Western a great place to stay. We got a great corner room (#230) with an awesome view and plenty of space. The facilities are really good and the restaurant (the Twisted Steak) is amazing. Probably the best thing about this location is the staff. Always friendly with a "Hello" and a smile when passing in the hallways and at the desk. On a more personal note; we left an iPad behind in our room when we left to go home. The staff had left a phone message on our home phone when we got home (615km away) that we had left it behind. They packaged it up for us and made sure that we got it back via Purolator. Above and beyond service, for sure.

great hotel, but the desciption mislead into understanding that there is breakfast at the hotel. Breakfast was very important part of the selection criteria i used when was looking for the right hotel for my family. This hotel was rather expensive, but a presumption of a great breakfast I reserved it. Anyway the breakfast (paid) that is served in the same building of the hotel was awful and ruined our day. This is unfortunate as the hotel itself is a great one, but I will never stay there again.

Stayed here on Aug 16 and being a platinum member had a nice upgrade and lovely stay On my second stay Aug 21 completely opposite First room given was tiny and faced a cement wall. Asked for a better view and had slightly better view but cramped quarters. Beds are only y a mattress. No box spring Low to floor. Very poor lighting All in all really crappy for the price Disappointing overall

This hotel deserves to have 6 stars. Never experienced such friendly staff throughout the entire building. Everything was top notch. I would love to come back and stay again and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay.

We were dumped at this very average hotel by Rocky Mountaineer, even though we were Gold Leaf clients. The location is very poor - there's a business park opposite with very little in it except a pub with glacial service and a Papa John's take-out. The rooms are OK, and have a fridge and microwave if that's what you want, but the safe didn't work and the a/c-heating was temperamental. Unfortunately, the place is so far out of town that it's really of no use unless you have your own transport.

We booked this hotel expecting to have a pleasant stay while visiting family and friends in Kamloops. Unfortunately, we were constantly disturbed the evening of July 9th by numerous loud conversations coming from the hallway. It turned out that our ground floor room was near the end of the corridor with the housekeeping room, laundry etc. One of the male voices made reference to the fact that he had ‘been here for a year and two weeks'. We also found a lot of noise coming from outside and, upon investigating, found that the window was open a crack and unlatched. There was no indication that there was an operable stop to prevent opening fully. This was a ground floor window, screened from the parking lot by shrubbery and a concrete wall. We told the desk at checkout of the issues and she apologized and said there were other complaints and the general manager would call us. He did call about 24 hours later and his first question was why we were put in that room. Obviously I had no idea so his next question was if we had a pet with us. We did not. He then went into a long speech about how there had been a sports team there and when I tried to bring him back to my issues he told me not to interrupt. When I finally was able to tell him about the open window, he quickly said that they had to leave windows open due to chemicals used for Covid disinfecting. At no time did he express an apology or concern regarding the disturbances or the safety concerns of the open window. With a total bill of nearly $400 for one night, I find this completely unacceptable. I would hesitate to refer anyone to this property. My daughter (a travel agent) also had a very negative experience here a few years ago but put it down to the hotel having a few kinks as it had just changed from Sheraton to Best Western. Obviously nothing has improved in customer service. I will say however that the front desk staff were very pleasant and helpful.

We stayed here for 1 night as part of a road trip. The room was clean and our beds were comfortable. It was easy to park even though the hotel was at full capacity. Staff were nice and accommodating. There is no complementary breakfast at this BW for those who are used to this perk. The pool is fun but was extremely dirty during our stay. Clearly there was a party in the pool the night before judging on the debris in the water. We'd stay here again but would hope for improvements to the pool.

I have stayed in Best Western's quite a bit. This is the first time that I have had a bad night due to the noise from both inside and outside of the Motel. The restaurant was good and the staff were great but the stay was not.

As an elite BW member we were upgraded to a king bed/jet tub suite ….beautiful spacious and clean room ! Front desk receptionist Jackie was so pleasant and helpful…..would definitely recommend our families and friends to stay here !

Amazing staff so accommodating clean and very quiet with the aroma Twisted steak restaurant on site amazing food will be eating there again tonight. Definitely will recommend this Hotel we will be back Thank you for being pet friendly. Love the fact that there also is no carpets in the rooms. Very clean!

Awesome hotel and location. Great staff, very clean rooms, great breakfast. Not a single complaint or recommendation, as it's a great place to stay. Pretty much central to Kelowna, and close to many things. Easy access to the highway and shopping.

Seemed fine enough until a service crew comes up to the room at 7pm to install a TV. Not sure why it couldn't wait until we checked out but they said it would only take 5 minutes. 45 minutes later they are still in there trying to install a TV and it ends up not working. I call the front desk Manager and he brushes it off and hangs up on me. Left the hotel right away and went and stayed somewhere that cares about guest experience. Wouldn't even refund the night even though we we there for only 3 hours. Absolute joke of a hotel.

hot tub was not heating, sauna was only 40 degrees, room rate was not good value. only room available was a king suite, which was clean and bright, but basic and overpriced. restaurant overcooked both steaks badly, replacing only one of them. 1st night hottub did not work, notified front desk and given a sad excuse. by 3rd day and checkout, it was still not repaired/heating.

Service staff are friendly enough Rooms are vaguely cleaned, but nearly always forget to replace towels, soap or something, I've been out of shampoo for a week. Food is expensive, bar manager makes it obvious customers are only tolerated. There is laundry, but the desk refuses to give loonies to operate them and instead suggests 'going to a gas station for change', very classy. This place operates for profit alone

We stayed one night on our way home from another destination. Very nice, clean and centrally located hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool and waterslide were a great bonus for our kids.

I was expecting more from Premier Best Western. My check with the General Manager was extremely disappointing. I did not feel welcomed but more of a bother. There was no acknowledgement of my BW Member status. I don't even remember a simple "hello". Strangely enough - I have not received any of the BW survey requests and it has been 2 days since my stay. On the good side, the room was very nice and well appointed. Extremely clean. Small but comfortable. Bed was comfortable and linens were good.

We stayed here for two nights in September. The hotel is fully refurbished. Our room was testfully decorated. Bed is very comfortable. The entire hotel was very clean. There was a restaurant attached to the hotel. We did not eat there, but it appears to be popular. We saw people in and out. I had one big issue during my stay. We checked out on Sep 24 around 9am. We saw a female hotel employee, appears to be house keeping. She was not wearing a mask at work. The provincial health authorities require wearing masks in public indoor settings. Judging from short distance, her age appears to be in the 20's, short hair, about 170cm in height, wearing white shirt at the time. We saw her on the ground floor and the third floor hallway. She was with other hotel employees. We are still in the middle of the pandemic. Hotel management should have not allowed this to happen.

Yes room is decent noisy on the street + very noisy AC Restaurant if you don't let your children go to school dressed like that why are you letting your servers *female* wear that so not cool really hope they are not forced to wear those outfits. Your food is insanely salty and would have returned my food as its not what i ordered but was close to passing out from starving hence why my plate was only half empty duh. One booked reservation thinking it was on Columbia st... asked for address then figured it out it was different one ok if i am paying that much it must be a more then a decent one. Asked for my discount BS cant make changes to it as it is already booked uhhh hello i book online all the time and they still take my flipping discount booked it less then 15minutes ago really. Again paying that much i think you can afford to add a discount to it. Not impressed and generally have a whole lot of patience and empathy for people in hospitality industry that is so gone hence this long review. PS left you a wonderful note same as this hopefully someone brave enough to give it your manager also this posted under an alias will not be back did almost considering going somewhere else but cant find places to save my life in this town.

I often stay in Best Westerns when I travel by car because they are clean, good value and I can get a quick breakfast and be on the road again. This one not so much. It was clean enough and convenient to the highway but I can't figure out the breakfast. When I checked in I asked about breakfast in the morning and they told me that because they have a restaurant on site I needed vouchers for breakfast, I was told they were $12 each. Ok I will take two, one for my wife and one for myself. She added $24 to my room. In the morning we went to the restaurant at about 8:30 am, so not that early. Took several minutes for a staff member to come out even after me going back to the kitchen and saying HELLO loudly. Anyway, breakfast was good and I presented the vouchers to the server and asked how it worked. She said they take $12 per voucher off the bill and I pay the difference ($7.50). So what is the point of buying the voucher?? The server couldn't answer the question. Why didn't I just pay for the breakfast? With that, the super loud AC/Heat unit, no one knowing what is going on and a regular king room at over $200 I am sure there would be better options. I will be trying somewhere else.

The Best Western website states there is a complimentary breakfast at this location, so we were willing to pay a bit more for this hotel to enjoy this service. It turns out there was nothing complimentary about it, just a restaurant on site that you have to pay for. Front end staff was not very apologetic about having misleading information on their company website. We would never return to this location!

We spent one night at the Sheraton Four Points in Kamloops. Rooms are fairly small. I had asked for a suite upgrade as a Marriott platinum elite member and was surprised at the small room. Parking is tight and it was a challenge finding a place to park so no one would hit our Highlander with their car doors. The hotel's location was great for our trip west to Burnaby BC.

Two weeks have gone by since we got fed upon by critters here. No follow up nothing from Muhammad the manager. Do not stay here. It is filthy beyond belief especially during this pandemic. Sheraton should shut this place down

The heating/cooling system is really noisy. The fan kicks in every hour or so and it was loud enough to wake me up. Except for that everything was good. I would stay somewhere else next time just because the fan was so annoying.

My husband and I usually always stay at a Sheraton as we have never had an issue. Unfortunately this Sheraton is not very well kept up. The carpets are very stained in the hallways. Although the room was clean ..the beds are very old and not comfy. The outside of the building is very dirty. see pics...cigarette butts everywhere (zoom in) and garbage thrown around. We chose another hotel for our return accommodations from our trip.

This hotel was just average. Elevator was clean enough and facilities were not well equipped (eg. gym and swimming pool). Treadmill had a broken belt it was a safety hazard. Swimming pool was out of order. Staff should really clean of fingerprints off the elevator. People take pandemic seriously everywhere we go. Staff booked us room 209 at the basement and there was no view. We didn't even like our room. Good thing, staff switched us to 306 instead and the view was fantastic. The hotel said rooms were full online, but they weren't fully booked when we went. Beds were comfortable. No microwave and no complimentary breakfast offered. Shower head was working fine. Hot water and the water pressure was strong. Shower felt very soothing because of the strong water pressure. Gas stations, 7/11, Rexall, dollarstore, liquor store and restaurants were closeby. Delta Hotel looked lot better to stay if I can afford it.
