Best Western Plus First Coast Inn & Suites

We always stay at this hotel when we are in town visiting relatives. The staff is helpful and friendly and courteous. The breakfast needs work.... The one coffee machine always has a line...there's never any fresh fruit and the only decent thing to eat is the waffles you make yourself.

This is an understated hotel that sits behind two gas stations on a frontage road. Don't let is deter you. The hotel has a wonderful staff. We found the rooms to be clean and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast is your traditional hotel breakfast. Coffee lovers will appreciate variety of choices of freshly grounded coffee beans for your morning coffee.

Was going to pick up our new puppy and stopped here to visit our son. Very nice place and the room was clean and well laid out. Breakfast was very good too. My husband said the omelette was delicious.

Stayed here two nights on the way to Virginia from Florida and then on the way back. The front desk staff was friendly, efficient and helpful. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The typical breakfast was served and was enjoyable. Overall a nice stay.

This was a quick stop on our way to St Augustine, FL. Wanting to check out Amelia Island, this hotel was a convenient choice. It is just off the interstate but right on the route to the island. Our room was well appointed and comfortable so we could relax and unwind. Just what we needed

For the price we were disappointed that the rooms were not very clean. Thick dust on appliances, coffee maker, TV, and the floors didn't seem to have been mopped in a long time. it was offputting for $150 we spent to stay there.

We were towing a boat and called ahead to make sure there was ample parking for us. When I called directly to the property, no one answered so the call was forwarded to their 800 call center. (I did not realize this had happened at first.) The representative checked and I was told there was available parking for our situation. Upon check in, Susan explained they were fully booked the night we arrived and we may get towed as we were taking up multiple parking spaces. Thankfully we did not get towed but were very upset over the possibility. Cookies at check in was a nice plus. Clean room. Will go back to using Holiday Inn across the street for future travels due to the parking issue.

Clean , super comfortable , very friendly staff in all departments. Close to so many stores and places to eat. I was there for 3 days and never had any problems with traffic despite being in a busy area. Quick drive to Amelia Island. Good breakfast . I look forward to another stay.

i really enjoyed my time here… it so cute and peaceful. My partner and I really loved the hospitality and kind atmosphere, i've stayed at a lot of hotels and i would have to say this is up on the list for being affordable, comfortable and CLEAN!

We've been here before and it needed updating so we were glad to read good reviews. Some of the renovations are great, floor in bedroom without carpet a plus, some decorative touches and cleaned up breakfast room is very nice and the breakfast is good. But come into our room and the tiles are cracked on the floor, and loose, with no grout left between them so it's dirty. The moldings haven't been cleaned in a long time and it's disgusting. And yesterday they left us threadbare towels. I've used rags in better condition than the bath towels they left us. We will think twice before returning to this hotel even though our family lives in Yulee. There is another hotel across the street we'll check out. Disappointing.

The cookies or cupcakes at the welcome desk were an extra and nice touch! The room was clean and spacious. The location is so convenient to I-95. The complimentary breakfast has variety and was delicious. The staff seemed to care about doing everything they could to make us feel welcome!

The desk was not interested in the fact that I was there. She was busy on the computer, I said hello, nothing . She went in the back came out and said do you have a reservation. I gave her my name, she said your reservation is canceled. I did have a reservation and checked in. I didn't get credit for my stay No reward from this clerk! Once you get past the clerk. It is a beautiful place to spend the night. Room is nicely decorated, clean.

The staff was very helpful and courteous. We have an active, busy schedule with family so we enjoyed a quiet nights rest and an early breakfast! We were also surprised to receive an upgraded room due to previous needs of other guests. Our room was spacious and relaxing!

Being off I95 and in northern Florida, this location is a perfect choice for us on our travels. The rooms are very reasonable, new and spacious. The lobby is completing renovation, although the hotel itself is not that old. Staff could not be friendlier. We will definitely return when in the area.

Made reservations online a month in advance and requested 1st floor room. I also confirmed the day before our stay that we wanted a first floor and the desk click said she would take care of our request. When we arrived she said no first floor rooms were available and put us on second floor. A little pissed but ok but then next morning we woke to seeing roaches in our room so gross. I showed the roach to to desk clerk and she removed my pet fee which was ok but I just can't recommend this hotel. We packed immediately and left too grossed out to stay in room any longer.

This is an IDEAL location for any Florida bound folks - near the border of FL and GA. Friendly staff, immaculate rooms, pet-friendly with reasonable rates! Nice, quiet spot directly off of the highway. Comfortable mattresses and pillows, too!

they were painting - toxic smell- checked in as I had booked that day on Expedia with no refund arrived noticed paint toxic smell - went to room - within 1/2 hour eyes were watering , taste of paint in my mouth, sick to stomach - initial check in was less than stellar-miserable person decided to leave and follow up with owner next day as best westerns are all independently owned called Expedia who gave me a $25 credit and stated will follow up for a refund with owner- 3-5 days owner ended up contacting me and stated if I had come back to office they would have resolved situation by putting me in another room my reply was the damage was already done runny eyes taste of paint in mouth - which I still have- upset stomach she was also rude by talking over me and offered no refund not stay here

I live in central FL and I avoid 95 and I4 driving....we have come across this sweet hotel in Yulee FL around Jacksonville, we stay here and then take 301 south thru Callahan, Ocala and Clermont...love it

Hotel has great layout ensures quiet nite great beds/ pillows , good clean shower- bed. Tv is smart- ac is quiet. Parking a bit tricky . Full breakfast omelette etc but minimal fruit. Very clean place well run. Easy check in- out .

Stayed one night to rest during road trip. The hotel is dog friendly and there were lots of dogs, all well behaved. The hotel is under construction but appeared clean. Apparently most updates have been completed. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was not totally as advertised because of construction. They made good effort to provide service promised. Waffle maker and microwave breakfast sandwich. Breads and a toaster. Overall good property.

The location is convenient to I-95 but not much is around that location as far as walking distance. The A/C in the roof was loud and some tiles were loose in the bathroom. They really should have rooms designated as non-animal friendly as our room smelled like wet dog when we first got there. I guess we got used to it but we were told it's a "dog friendly hotel". The breakfast was pretty good and the staff there are very friendly and helpful.

Absolutely lovely Best Western plus with easy access from the highway. Very friendly staff and a delicious hot breakfast! The breakfast lady was friendly and attentive. Also asked for directions from a the maintenance man and he did not steer us wrong. Saved us time and headaches by avoiding the i95. Will definitely return here!

Surprisingly centrally located Great staff , breakfast was very good . Rooms are ample, beds are super comfortable.I can say this Hotel and its staff has really changed my mind about Best Western . I do hope when I stay at the next Best Western it falls in line with this hotel in Yulee .

Quick on and off the highway but also convenient to a great beach destination! Clean, updated, and a good breakfast selection! Very pleasant staff, accomodating to extending our stay. The fresh cookies at night time were an added bonus!

Hotel was nice, kinda tuck away behind a gas station good food options in the area. The hotel was clean and rooms was clean, staff was friendly and helpful, breakfast was good. Good stay would stay again

First, very unattractive location behind a gas station. I felt uncomfortable almost the moment I walked in, then learned that the hotel welcomes dogs to the extent I was told that every room in the hotel has hosted pets. My room smelled of damp dog dander and cheap perfumed cleanser. If you have dander allergies, beware. Honest, there were dogs in almost every room, I could hear them bark as I passed. Also, the bed may have fleas' ticks, and in Florida, they may carry ZIKA. It is what I call dirty clean. Also bring your own toiletries, do not use the provided, very harsh. BUT, if you travel with dogs, by all means bring five, it's all ok. OH, the shower did not work so I had to use the tub, where FIDO was recently de ticked. My honest experience and opinion, yours may differ, I can only hope.

Staff was friendly. Reno to hotel is nice. Breakfast on the other hand would prevent me from returning. I should say lack of it. The food was minimal and most packaged. The eggs and meat were horrible.

Hotel was clean and modern. Above average breakfast. Fast wifi. Well lit parking and felt safe. Security camera facing where I was parked. Will stay here again. Checkin and service was adequate. Close to fuel and fast food.

Throughout our many trips to Florida we have stayed at this facility quite frequently (twice a year). My husband is mobility handicapped and we appreciate their mobility accessible room on the first floor. Today when we checked in at 6pm there were no luggage carts available. We decided to get a bite to eat nearby and returned to find no carts and a desk clerk unable/unwilling to assist. There was no manager to appeal to and calling the corporate headquarters got us no solution. We sat in our car until 8:30 and then struggled to load our belongings onto a rolling desk chair or drag them in. Not a good practice for two handicapped senior citizens. It is disappointing to be treated so shabbily at a respected chain hotel. Shouldn't there at least be another employee in the building who could have helped us?

The facility is nice and the people are friendly the breakfast was good. But we personally just like to be able to walk to something or somewhere to eat have a drink etc and there's nothing by it but a Burger King and the traffic is really heavy and you have to drive into the town if you want to go anywhere. We just thought there was a town right where the Best Westerni is located. So it was just a good stop over place and move on.

DIANAH (at check-in) greeted me and made me feel welcome. This hotel is getting renovated (the lobby), so the check in was in a guest room temporarily. There may be other areas having work done but it didn't affect our stay. The room was good, the bed was nice, clean, quiet, good hot breakfast. I would stay there again

Comfy beds, if you have back problems this is a plus The bedding is super soft too!. Big rooms, coffee maker, fridge and microwave. Even their toiletries smell nice. Perfect for a night or two. Would book again with them. Easy check-in/check-out.

The room was nice. I arrived about 7:00am. It was very bright outside. After a long drive, I only slept for about 3hours and did not draw the curtains. I left the room at about 11:30 and did not return until almost 2:00am the next morning. When I turned on the light and entered the room, I was stunned, horrified, and extremely disappointed to find a bed bug crawling across the crisp, white sheets. I immediately alerted the night auditor and she was not surprised. I even showed her a picture and video. She initially refused to provide a refund or another room, saying that they were booked up. It was not until social media came into play that another room was offered. But, why would it matter the room. The fear of sleeping with bed bugs and potentially taking them home to my family was my utmost concern. There was no concern of my fears or worries. They even went as far as almost calling me a liar. They allege that they had their staff check the room and found no evidence of bed bugs. They said that they would have the room looked at by their pest control service. They never denied having bed bugs. They simply wanted me out of the hotel and wanted to give me my initial funds only after threatening to go to social media. I am still afraid that I may have brought a bed bug home with me. I feel that one may show up at any given time in my home from the incident. I would not recommend this establishment as they don't really care about you the client, they care about your money. If you are afraid that you may be sleeping with bugs, stay away. I learned the hard way that I did, even for a few hours. Be ware of the Bed Bugs and the less than caring Management Staff.

We stay here when we travel to NY from S. Fla. We have found that BW have the most comfortable beds and have always been clean. We don't eat breakfast (coffee only) but the food smelled and looked delicious.

The rooms were clean, beautifully decorated, and comfortable. It was very quite. No road/traffic noise. Lots of different restaurants and shopping options with a 10-15 min drive and the beach is only 11 miles from the hotel.

The breakfast was amazing, the staff was amazing an when above and beyond to help. The location is convenient to shopping centers and to the interstate. They are a pet friendly hotel, fitness center available and just an amazing place.

This location is convenient to I-95 and is the cleanest hotel on the Yulee exit.The staff customer service was good and a breakfast is provided daily. The room was well maintained and clean. They appear to be newly renovated. Parking is ample.

The room was clean and modern. The facilities met all my needs and expectations. The complimentary breakfast was high quality, plenty of variety, and above my expectations. This was my second time to stay here based on a good experience the first time.

Great location for a quick stop for the night. Close to I-95 and also many restaurants and shops if needed. Rooms had been updated since I was there few years ago. Looked nice. New breakfast room and still doing other minor updates.

This was a small Best Western in Yulee. The rooms was very neat. The staff was great. They had a complaintairy breakfast that was awesome. Pur stay was amazing. The receptionist had a great attitude and was very helpful. Anything we asked for she got. They allowed pets which was amazing. Everyone employee was helpful and neat. The Inn smelled clean and refreshing.

Stayed here and it was decent, nice to have a separated area for sleeping, we had the exec. suite. My complaints are that the water was cold a couple of times and I did mention to front desk, they recommended a different shower time and that they would also look into the heater to make sure it was working appropriately and also our air conditioner struggled. But overall, it was good. Breakfast was ok, location is good and all the staff seemed nice.

Excellent hotel, great stay. Hotel set back from road, very quiet surroundings easy access to and from I 95 close by. Jessica knowledgeable and helpful, at reception answered our initial questions about bringing our pet, prior to us booking. Hotel appears new, very clean spacious room. Hot, free breakfast very good. The hotel was fine. It is newly renovated, but that only means fresh paint and bathroom fixtures. The rooms are still smaller and the harsh LED lights means that they don't feel welcoming. The A/C was weak and the breakfast was sad looking and tasted even worse. Also the price ($200) did not equal the experience. The troubling thing was that my credit card info was stolen hours after checking into the hotel. (Shortly after checking in, several transactions at an online retailer were attempted.). This was the only time I used my actual card (where someone else took it from my hand and had access to the full card number, security code and ZIP code) in the last 11 days, but when I tried to talk to the manager about this, she could only (repeatedly) tell me how wrong I was. However, the circumstantial evidence is too strong. So be careful when checking in... I won't ever be back.

original room was noisy, nothing do with the hotel, we were moved to a quiet room. Bed was comfortable, shower was clean lots of hot water. Newly remodeled, loved the vinyl plank floor!! Breakfast was good, usual menu items.

Front desk staff extremely nice, upgraded us to a king suite because we use Best western frequently. Room was clean, comfortable. Good location right off 95. Typically buffet breakfast offerings included in price.

Everything is pretty good about this Best Western in Yulee EXCEPT the coffee. It's actually tainted hot water. "Coffee, Not Coffee" We had to go find coffee down the the road. We stay here a lot and had never complained, hoping it was just a fluke but "no" - they do not have coffee here.

This hotel is currently under renovation, which creates some oddities. There are areas that old and "needy" right next to brand new elements; therefore I rate it just average. Pretty sure that when completed, it will be great. The room was clean and the breakfast is the usual hotel continental with make your own waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage & toast. Just fine for a stop over on a road trip, The manager/owner was very friendly check in. There are no restaurants near-by so eat before check in

I always enjoy my stay at Best Western. The hotel has vey pleasant and helpful staff. Breakfast is included with your stay, however, its not up to the standard they once had. I had to get something to eat when I checked out. The eggs were cooked until they were crumbs and had turned brown in the warming dish. Pastry was hard and not edible.

The location was close to everything. The staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. The facility was spotless, the beds were comfortable and the breakfast was great. I just love those waffles. I would definitely stay here again.

BW always seems to have a location convenient to my activity. I can count on them to provide just what I am looking for. The property was clean and service was on point and close to food and recreational activities.

On a trip to FL from VA. Front desk was cheerful and helpful. We needed to eat supper and he told us what restaurants were available and how to drive to them. Coffee was fresh and breakfast had a good variety of food to choose from. It's right off of 95. I would stop here again.

I made a reservation at this hotel about 10 days in advance. I eventually had to cancel the reservation 2 days ahead of my scheduled arrival. About a week later, there was $120 charged to my card. I called the GM of the hotel. She was not very accommodating. She refused to refund the money. Also, 3 days before my conversation with the GM, I made a reservation for an upcoming visit. They did not even have my future reservation. I have canceled my frequent traveler membership with BW. I will not stay here again.

This Best Western Plus was right off of the highway. It does allow pets but was clean. Needing a handicap accessible room we had did have bars in the tub but no portable seat was even offered. A car show in the area that weekend was the explanation for the elevated price; it was $100 more than very similar accommodations the night before. Morning breakfast was just ok, but not even a prepared oatmeal; the actual breakfast space was cramped.

One night stopover for wife and me on the way home. Good location near I-95. Kudos to Diana (front desk and more) and Kaylin (her assistant). The nicest folks we've run into in a hotel. Very clean, great price for the room we got--king. I don't remember asking for a suite but there was a separate bedroom with King bed (very comfortable, nice pillows), wall and door to a front room with a sofa bed. Didn't try the sofa bed. Tv's in each room. Nice bathroom. Plenty of water pressure and hot water. Ceiling is a little low. Second floor, not far from the elevator, but no noticeable noise. Also close to grand staircase to the 1st floor, which was sometimes more convenient. Mostly quiet in the hallways. A little noise from the road, but that's what happens, and it wasn't enough to be disturbing. Good, typical breakfast. Waffle batter previously prepared so it's the proper amount for the maker. Keeps the are nice and clean. Good eggs. Didn't try the sausage. Didn't try the pool or exercise room. Great value. Great place. Previous reviews had it correct!

The room was clean, staff was very helpful and just the right distance for the concourse d elegance on Amelia Island.the was a small problem with the bathroom sink staff promise to look into right away.

The hotel was great ! The lady at the desk was very kind and helpful. Price was good and everything was remodeled. The breakfast was the best at any of the hotels we stayed during our week of travel to multiple cities .

Can every hotel please be like this? That would be so nice! Beautiful, clean interior with really nice photographic art on the walls, nice clean rooms, comfortable beds, quality Pharmacopia toiletries, nice selection at breakfast - eggs, yummy potatoes, breads, yogurt, cereal, etc. The only complaint I have is that the room doors are loud when they close so all night I could hear doors closing. Would be so nice if the doors closed slowly and quietly. I would definitely stay here again - lovely place. It looks like a big gas station is being built right adjacent to this hotel - not sure how that will affect things...

Wonderful staff. Good breakfast choices. Even though remodeling was taking place it was still excellent. A place we would definitely return too. Just off I 75 and only 15 minutes from the beach on Amelia Island

Stayed here overnight on our way back from NY. Hotel is on Route 200, right off 95, very convenient to get to. Room was fine, but breakfast area was a bit cramped. What made the place special was how friendly and welcoming Diana and Leslie of the staff were. It was great to meet nice people after a long day on the road.

Friendly checkin well lighted parking.clean comfortable room at reasonable price,great stopover. They are renovating so still some areas have older wall paper, our room looked redone though older tub with some wear and tile showing wear but clean.

Room was some what clean. Shower had mold in it and around the commode. Water had leaked out into the bathroom so we had to use towels to mop up water. We found the shower was very hard to turn off completely. We reported and was told "it will have to be fixed".

This hotel is just off the highway, 20 minutes from JAX, and about the same to Amelia Is. I got in after dinner, and had to leave at 5am for a flight. My only complaint were all the barking dogs, some guests had left there pets in the room while they went out. This could be resolved if customers with pets were put at the rear of the hotel

Clean room, great customer service, quick check in and out. Only disappointing thing was that there wasn't coffee for breakfast. We were told we had to use the little coffee maker in our room. This was the first morning we went down for breakfast. However, there was coffee the following morning. All in all, nice hotel, rooms recently renovated.

This is a clean, lovely, pet-friendly hotel that is a great value for the money. The rooms are updated and comfortable. Hit breakfast is included, with items such as small omelettes, sausage, cereal, bread, yogurt, etc.

My wife and I both agreed out of all the hotels we have stayed (hilton and marriot) we LOVED STAYING HERE. Unfortunately the exit that it is off of is developed but that works in its favor because there is not alot of noise. The room was phenomenal. It was big enough for our son (1.5 years old) to have his own space and a place for his pack n play. My wife and I had our room with a door that shut. Which you dont find in some suites at other hotels. This hotel sealed the deal for us. We are switching to staying at Best Westerns from now on. We really enjoyed the space and time spent here.

I found the rooms to good and clean rooms with a helpful staff. There was a Quick check in and the front desk staff was helpful and cheery. Beds are comfortable. Refrigerator in the room and good internet.

Excellent service, very clean, good food, comfy room and bed, reasonably priced...what else can you ask for? Convenient to Amelia Island / Fernandina Beach. Lots of shopping before and after you drive to the Island. Great restaurants weather you want fresh sea food or just about anything else.

My boyfriend and I stayed here while we were in town for a Jacksonville Jags game and it was the perfect spot! Check in was easy, bed was comfortable, room very spacious, super clean, and the water was hot. Only about a 20ish minute drive to the actual city of Jacksonville. We would definitely stay here again!!

Excellent people are working here and the building is very clean and nice and the beds and overall room was very nice and comfortable and we really enjoyed the breakfast area and the breakfast selection was great and the people there are so friendly and helpful

When you drive up to the hotel you think you are driving up to someone's house. Really cute/homey looking exterior. Desk clerk couldn't have been nicer or friendlier. She went above & beyond to help us resolve a personal issue. The room was perfect. We would not have any qualms staying here again.

First off, let me start by saying the staff here couldn't have been nicer or tried to accommodate me more. They did everything they could to make this a pleasant stay and were very kind. However, the entire hotel is super stuffy (not only in the rooms, but even in the halls and elevators) and it smells like mildew. I live in the humid South so I am used to humidity, but when I entered the room I was first assigned, it smelled like a locked up attic and was super stuffy. I ran the AC for a while, but couldn't get the condition to improve. I went downstairs and the ladies at the front desk said that was common there due to the humidity. I asked for a new room which they gave me, but it was no improvement. There was dirt that had been tracked in up the main stair case and down the halls. When I went to the gym, there were old wipes that the person who used it prior to me had left in the cup holder but looked like they had been there for some time. I couldn't find a room safe anywhere to store my personal laptop. I am used to staying in 3 star hotels and just wanted a cheap place since I was only staying 1 night. This was no where near a 3 star experience. I honestly would have paid double to stay in a legitimate 2.5 or 3 star hotel vs. spend another night here.

Waited over 5 minutes for someone to come to the front desk to check in and that was after yelling to see if anyone was back there. I get standing at the front is boring but there should be a camera to watch for people waiting. She was very nice when she did appear. The lobby hall was humid and smelled like sweaty B.O., so gross. The room had old cob webs along the ceiling and the baseboards. You can tell the “updates” where pieced together as our room alone had chrome, brushed nickel AND gold finishes. The room was so humid no matter how low the air was. The tv would turn off every 5 or so minutes for about 3 seconds which was also really annoying. This hotel was way overpriced for the quality you get.

Stayed here with my wife prior to closing on our home in Yulee. Room was big and the bed was comfy. A/C worked great. Breakfast was good considering the COVID restrictions. Although the hotel gets high marks, it was really the service that wins me over. Diana moved her car and allowed me to park my 26 ft truck in her place, let me borrow a bottle opener and just went overboard for us. Many thanks. Will recommend this hotel for anyone coming to visit us that we dont have room for.

The rooms are clean, the bed comfortable and the staff top notch. We have stayed at this hotel numerous time and will stay with them again when in the area. The coffee was delicious and diminished breakfast very good

We've stayed at this Best Western in the past, was pleasantly surprised w/the upgrades to the hotel overall. I will definitely stay again. I'm glad they actually allowed us to control the A/C! Awesome

The staff at this Best Western is the friendliest and most helpful we have ever experienced. A special shout out to Andra and Diane at the front desk for all of their extra help. We experienced a vehicle emergency breakdown during our travel, and the people here at this Best Western Plus gave us so much extra care and attention. They even pointed us to an excellent Toyota dealership to give us technical assistance. The hotel is located in a quiet space easily accessible to Interstate 95. It is clean, comfortable and well maintained. The breakfast service is exceptional in these difficult Covid times, and Wanda Simmons goes out of her way to make sure we get all of our food needs met. For other food or shopping, there are many options nearby. We had stayed here a few weeks ago in route to our South Florida home. We will make this our regular stop between our two homes in Florida and Virginia.

Hotel looked brand new. Very well kept and clean. We have stayed at other Best Western Plus hotels and this one was the nicest. Conveniently located off interstate 95. East access to Fernandina Beach and Amelia Island.

Had an amazing stay here. Clean rooms, nice pool, and saved us half the money of staying at the beach and was only 12 miles from it. The staff was welcoming and accommodating to our needs. Will definitely stay here again.

July 11-15-The renovations are nice & update the hotel. I hate that the jacuzzi no longer exists but the pool was more than adequate. The staff was great especially Wanda-breakfast & Diana-front desk!

We stayed June 26 - July 2 at Best Western Plus First Coast Inn & Suites. I booked June 26 - July 1 through Expedia and for some reason they made two reservations. One reservation for Saturday night and the other reservation for four nights. The hotel personnel offered to let us stay in the same room for the second reservation, but he first room we were in had a few problems, which is why I gave 4 out of 5, so we opted to change rooms. The sink didn't drain well and the tv would not change channels. I am sure those issues were cleared up for the next guest after we reported them. There were no issues with our second room. I decided to extend my stay for an additional night, and the hotel personnel were so nice and accommodating. They allowed us to stay in our same room. There is a guest laundry on the second floor. My sons utilized the fitness center and were usually the only ones there. The fitness center had sanitizing wipes and towels available. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay at Best Western Plus First Coast Inn & Suites when we make another trip to Yulee to visit family. I would recommend this hotel to others.

Great hotel! Nice employees and clean rooms! Quiet and pet friendly! Great pool and fast internet. Will definently be booking this hotel again in the future. Remember to ask the front desk for places to visit while your staying here.

When choosing this hotel, I was guided by others who said it was very clean. And it was. Crisp white bedding a bed that was comfortable ( which I want to get for my home) as well as pillows that were just right. There was no noise and the hotel seemed full a few of the nights. We would stay there again.

The Best Western in Yulee was amazing if. Excellent service, kind and extremely clean. Far exceeded my expectations. The front staff was dedicated and helpful with all questions. The ladies who cleaned the room were very respectful and courteous and the breakfast was great!!

No complaints at all, except for maybe the breakfast… but at the time of our stay they were still adhering to some COVID-imposed restrictions (ie no typical BW breakfast buffet) so it is what it is :) Fantastic service at check-in and check-out (Darius especially went above and beyond — champion!) and our room was a suite, which I think was an upgrade from what I'd booked! Super clean, great living space, super comfy bed, lots of parking, wicked awesome lobby area. Would definitely stay again.

We were thrilled with the service and accommodations at the Best Western in Yulee. Diana Hixon handled our reservation (she straightened out an incorrect booking by Expedia and even got us a refund for a non-refundable erroneous reservation!) and stay beautifully. It was like having our own concierge!

We arrived at 10:00 pm. We had requested a handicapped accessible room with 2 beds for 3 people. We were told there were no more and given a suite with a pull out couch instead. The pullout couch slept terrible and the sheets had hairs in them.

I read a lot of reviews and I would agree that the beds are comfy and the rooms basically clean. The hotel is very close to 95 so they must get a lot of people coming through. Pros: location. The front desk has very helpful. A/c , fridge and microwave all worked perfectly. Looks like they are partially renovating the interior. My part is modern w gray walls and newer floors etc but the lobby area is like from the 2000s. Because of covid Im sure they are understaffed so I'm not going to nit pick too much (and Im picky). Cons: there is no porter to help you w your bags or if you need something from housekeeping. My room rate was high for what we got but I think its high summer rates. Not too far is an Aldi and a strip mall if you need anything.

Room was very clean and comfortable. Staff was amazing on all levels. Will come back! Short drive to dog friendly beach. Extra large queen rooms were very nice, even enough room for my dog to play. Breakfast attendant was especially nice and helpful.

Staff and overall customer experience was exceptional! My first Best Western experience and I was pleasantly surprised. The location was convenient to all shopping and beach activities! I'll definitely be coming back again!

The hotel was clean and well maintained. Enough parking, close to HWY. Decent breakfast, nice lady at the front desk. Lots of TV channels, good speed internet. I would recommend this hotel. I got noisy neighbors but the staff called them up!

Well kept with helpful staff. Prefer pillows that stay fluffed. Something in the bedding seemed to give me a runny nose. But the room appeared to be very clean. Shower could not divert all water flow, weakening the shower.

We can't say enough about this fantastic hotel. When you walk in, there is a beautiful, country-style staircase in the lobby. It is a very honey feeling. The front desk staff are so friendly and welcoming, too. Our room, located in the corner of the floor, was completely renovated and furnished so nicely. The room was spacious, which is good when you travel with dogs. The bed was clean and very comfortable. We slept very well and it was nice and quiet. They had breakfast, given to you by dining room staff to take. We had nice, hot egg sandwiches and coffee, and the woman even gave us treats for our dogs. This hotel is extremely pet-friendly and the charge is only $20/night total for all pets. There is no better place to stay in northern Florida.

Stayed here a few times now (traveling between Maryland and Florida). Friendly service, clean rooms and a good value. Staff was well training and eager to help in finding a good place to eat. Finding a good place can be a challenge - this place provides a good value for your money.

When heading down 95 on our trips we usually stop a little further north, but since we left earlier this time we went a little further to get to Yulee, We were very happy we did. The lobby was very nice and inviting and the desk staff was friendly. We had reserved the larger room, and found it spacious and very clean. We were also happy that they are trying to get back to their regular breakfast offerings, but still doing so cautiously. We already decided to stay here on our next trip.

I also stated this hotel last year while it was being renovated. Renovations appear to be complete and everything is nice and clean. My only issue is that we're still in the middle of a pandemic and there are signs stating that masks are required yet staff and half of the patrons were not wearing them.

My husband is gone a lot for work, he flies in once/twice a month and we will get a room for “us time” while the kids are at home with grandparents for a fun weekend. However, this stay was terrible. People were back and forth across the hall to each other's rooms, sitting on the floor of the hallway, up until 4:30-5am being loud despite complaints. Then we only received a 20$ discount after we got zero sleep until 5am. We were thrown off schedule the rest of the next day. I've never been so disappointed. Also required a 200$ additional deposit because “locals” are partying there and stealing things. Seriously? How about throw these locals out and blacklist them from the property instead of allowing them to continue and ruin other guests stays all night. Hearing about their sex lives and infections was gross enough through the walls/doors, but the noise all night keeping us up was worse.

I have stayed at this hotel numerous times. It is an excellent location, dog friendly hotel with lots of space to walk your dog. Conveniently located right off 1-95. Easy check in and check out process. I would recommend this to anyone traveling together with a furry friend.

This BW is truly a hidden gem! It was so clean, the service was wonderful and the rooms were very clean. The location is also very good bcuz it is exceptionally close to the highway. Hot breakfast was not served due to COVID but lots of restaurants are super close

The employees are nice and helpful, The rooms are clean, and they have free internet. It is located right of I-95 so it is easy on and off. There are numerous restaurants east of the hotel to eat in or take out. The rates are very reasonable.

Great area that is super convenient to stores, food, pharmacy, pet area to walk. The front desk helped us find a close park that we could take dogs for a leisurely walk as well. They do have pet clean up area as well as some nice grassy areas to walk your pets.

We stayed here and found the hotel to be very clean and served a nice breakfast with microwaveable burritos and Jimmy Dean biscuits with sausage and egg. The hotel feels like it is brand new on the inside and our room had non-carpet floors and was pet friendly. The air conditioner was very quiet when it ran.

Fair price, clean room & surroundings, nicely located by restaurants & highway. They even provided a brown bag breakfast during covid. There are many hotels who have used covid as an excuse to forgo that extra. Highly recommend!

Wanted to commend the entire staff at Best Western for their friendliness and professional demeanor. Dianna and Susan at the front desk do a wonderful job whenever we check in. This hotel is extremely clean and we highly recommend them.

This is a very nice hotel and very convenient to Route 95 and there was very little road noise. The room was very clean. We had a king bed and there was a refrigerator with small freezer, microwave, desk & chair, upholstered chair and small table. It was a very nice room with a large bathroom with large countertop. They had a "grab and go" breakfast which was served by a very nice woman - you picked what you wanted - assorted pastries, yogurt, granola bars, small bottles of water, juice. Only two disappointments - only 2 bath towels - had to ask for another and they had the old style hotel coffee maker - we have seen Keurigs in a lot of the hotels we stay in - also wondered why they built a new hotel and didn't install comfort height toilets. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

We stayed 2 nights here and came back to our room the second night to find the room had not been serviced - no bed made up, no towels, coffee, or shampoo. The excuse was that they didn't service rooms when you stayed more than one night because of covid. They aren't worried about their staff cleaning the room when you check out, but they are if you stay a second night??? The only one winning here is the hotel owner. Cut the work you have to pay your staff for and charge your customers the same. Also no breakfast service. Very disappointed Best Western. Definitely won't stay here again. Lots of competition at this exit. I will look for a hotel that cares about their staff and their guests.

This property has been beautifully remodeled in the past year, but the great staff is still the same. We love staying there. They have a wonderful breakfast buffet, unfortunately with Covid it isn't available. BUT they still offer s simple selection of a hot breakfast sandwich or burrito, pastries, yogurt, juice, coffee and fresh fruit. We will definitely stay there again

Hands down Diana was the friendliest and most helpful staff I have ever came across. Everything was exceptional, clean, comfortable and nice. I wish every hotel was a mirror of this exact hotel. I wouldn't change a thing!

The facility exceeded my expectations. It seems relatively new and is VERY clean and well maintained. Rooms are furnished nicely and comfortable. This is right off 95 and I stay there to break up my drive going south. I will stay there again.

We found it difficult to find a hotel that was well appointed with remodeled rooms, very clean, well maintained and that accepted our small, well behaved dogs at a price that was very fair. This hotel is perfect when we travel between our homes in FL and DE (conveniently located off of I-95). The staff is friendly, courteous and very helpful. Diana at the front desk represents the brand, the hotel, and is the epitome of customer service. We will continue to use this hotel a couple of times a year.

This hotel provided a wonderful night's rest as I was making my way from PA to central FL. It was very clean, the staff was friendly, and my pet had easy access to the outdoors. It is right off the 95 exit but tucked back in from the main road, so I had to take my time to look for it midst some construction, but well worth the effort to get there!

This hotel is easy on/off I 95 but set far enough back from the road to be very quiet. It is pet friendly and very well maintained. The rooms were clean and all the staff were helpful and friendly. Reasonably priced I'll stay again.

Property in great condition but seems to be undergoing some refurbishment at this time (painting). Had room 103 on the first floor with a ceiling that must have been 14' tall. Not uncommon in Europe but my first such experience in US. Very modern and clean room with great LG flat screen. All the staff seemed quite friendly and helpful. Diana at the front desk even helped us with an internet search of an attraction down the florida panhandle. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again if we are ever in the area.

Have stayed at this location several times. Suite and King room both are excellent. Staff was prompt and helpful. Breakfast service was excellent and courteous. Just inside Florida an excellent midpoint to your trip

Loved this new hotel. The room was spacious, wonderfully appointed, and high ceilings. Also love that the entire floor was hard surface.....no rugs at all to get dirty or germy. Fast food, gas stations and highway nearby. We hope to stay here again.

Great peaceful & clean room. Recently renovated hotel which is conveniently right off of I-95 as well as only 15 miles from Fernandina for dinner & sightseeing. Plenty of places to eat or shop near the hotel also.

Stay here 2x a year- one night when we travel north to New England and one heading south to Florida. Always a pleasant overnight and never any issues. Rooms look like they have recently been renovated and very nicely appointed. It's less than 1/4 mile to the east of I95

The hotel itself is fine. It's relatively new and clean. The woman at reception when we arrived was very pleasant and helpful. We observed that she and all the guests we encountered were wearing masks. However, it was a different story the next morning! The woman at reception (not the same person as the previous evening) was not wearing a mask. While she probably considered it unnecessary behind the plexiglass, it was apparent that she just didn't care to take precautions for the guests. She came out from behind the counter into the lobby carrying a tray of breakfast "go bags" and was NOT wearing a mask, gloves or even shoes! And, it appeared that there was no attention to public health safety guidelines on the part of other staff as I encountered the maintenance man twice - once in the hallway and once in the lobby as he was waiting to enter the office. In both occasions, he was wearing his mask dangling from one ear down the side of his neck. This failure to observe basic public health safety guidelines makes me question how well the rooms are cleaned and sanitized between guests - despite their assurances! Never again will we stay here!

We are staying in a king suite. The room is nice but their "we care clean" is not working. The return air grate for the HVAC system is filthy and obviously has not been cleaned in days if not weeks. The elevator is not very clean either.

We certainly felt all employees and all customers would wear masks. There was a sign on all doors “Masks required.” For a start- no employees wore them and I saw few customers wearing them. I am disappointed with your lack of masks for everyone's safety. I felt unsafe. Please, enforce your “MASKS Required”, Best Western.

On the way to Orlando and decided to break up the trip by stopping in Yulee. We are traveling with two teens who are in virtual school and needed the WiFi too. We were pleasantly surprised by the spacious room with both a desk and a chair that had a nice side table for laptop. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. It is rare that I am able to sleep good in hotel beds and I did last night.

Pros - We stayed in room 109 which is pretty close to the pool. Room looked brand new and we could see our vehicle in front of our window which I like. The pool appears to be heated at night ! Pool Is open until 10pm est. Breakfast was a granola bar, danish, and nutragrain bar. Not bad at all for COVID 19. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Free WiFi is a plus and worked very wel compared to other hotels I have stayed in. CONS - Hot tub is gone, the bottom of pool has some sort of filter that hurts your feet when you step in it, the waterfall part on the pool was not working when we were there. (Labor Day weekend).

Had a very real axing stay. Very fast service. Front desk was very nice and friendly. Only complaint was noise overhead, which was taken care of by staff. Room was clean. The only thing we was disappointed in , was the hot tub was covered up.

Was great stay, pool was clean , missed breakfast cause of Covid though, but was impressed with how clean and refurbished everything was , will use again when we come back to view historic Cementary on Fernandina

Staff was very kind and considerate. When we arrived they were welcoming. They have breakfast to-go bags in light of COVID restrictions. The TV had a short in it but we don't watch it anyway. The surrounding grounds were spacious for dog walking. The lily pads are beautiful. Tasty's burgers is nearby and is priced appropriately. McDonalds is across the street and there are gas stations in walking distance. The room was clean. Shampoo, etc. is citrus aroma but containers are very tiny.

After a long ride from FtLauderdale it was great to arrive, the girl at front desk was very friendly, we arrived around 6p Also in the morning same thing, the girl was very nice,nice clean hotel,room was spacious and very clean, brand new rugs through first floor, nice outdoor pool, also sitting area in front with rocking chairs, I had my dog, si was on first floor near the outside and walking area, very convenient, would definitely stay again, unfortunately because if covid they were handing out grab n go bags for breakfast, not very appealing, but hot coffee and tea where in lobby ,

My room was great, except the paper thin walls. Decorated nicely, high ceilings and clean. But information pasted to the customer is not good. This was the first hotel I've ever had to put a sign out to say clean my room, needless to say my room did not get cleaned. The reception desk staff hide in a back office and you have to wait for them to come out to ask questions. Presently with COVID they are not serving breakfast bit they don't inform you of that when you call, only when you arrive, which is fine. They offer grab and go breakfasts but there are never any available when you're in the lobby! The location was convenient and there are several restaurants close by.

What you would expect from a Best Western, Clean rooms, friendly staff, right off I 95. Great for business but would not recommend for liesure. Only a couple of Fast Food eateries close buy. It is a good distance from everything else.

My wife and I were looking forward to a return visit to this hotel after the great experience we had there last year. We were pleased to be able to get a room on our return North this year. The room was great, the service was great, but I was disappointed to discover I would not be receiving the expected Reward points. Apparently, the $80.95 rate I paid (for a Sunday night stay) was a Manager's Special, and therefore does not qualify for normal Reward points. I would like management to be aware I stayed at different Best Westerns the next two nights, at lower rates, and in one case many more amenities, but also received normal Reward points. It is unlikely I will stay at the Yulee location again - there are just too many other options in the JAX area.

We have stayed at this hotel 3 times as we have gone to Fernandina Beach to visit our son and his family and visit friends in the area. This is convenient to both Fernandina Beach/Amelia Island and Jacksonville. The accommodations are clean and newly renovated. (renovation was still in process in February 2020). Strongly suggest this location if being on the island is not important to you. You can still access the island in about 20 minutes.

Best Western is located right off I-95 in Yulee, Fl. It is in close proximity to Amelia Island. The rooms are clean and spacious. All staff are extremely helpful and pleasant. I have stayed here several times.

Newly ongoing renovation. New room decor is exceptional. Room very clean....however, only 2 bath towels provided each day. Lobby is probably next for renovation. ...outdated for sure. Stayed for Amelia Island Concours 2020...must say the price for our room was very expensive for a hotel just off the interstate. Breakfast bar was perfect...lots of choices.

The Best Western Plus in Yulee, FL is a wonderful place to stay! This is where we always stay when visiting friends in Yulee. They have done a remodel and the rooms are very up-to-date and enjoyable. The staff is always very friendly and helpful.

We stayed 2 night to visit some local attractions. We have stayed at this hotel before. We didnt realize when we reserved that it was under renovation. But we were not inconvenienced by it in anyway. Mostly, we were out during the day and didnt hear anything after 5pm or before 9. Our newly renovated room was beautiful. A little trouble with the shower. The temperature red and blue indicator was not attached, but it was new and probably needed to be glued down better. Staff was friendly and helpful, especially the lady that was taking care of breakfast. She was sure in constant motion making sure everything was clean and being restocked fast. We enjoyed our stay.

We have waited to post this review in the hopes that management would be responsive to our communications regarding the discount we were promised (and never received) at check-out for our troubles. Not only did we have a miserable experience at Best Western Plus in Yulee, on New Years Eve, but both the general manager and the assistant general manager have failed miserably with any attempts to rectify the situation. Misplaced priorities seem to be the best way to describe this hotel. Lack of adequate staff at the front desk, minimally responsive management, and an inability to attempt to work out problems in a way that would satisfy the guest were experienced. Details of our experience are described in the rest of this review. Only one person was working the front desk. We had to wait at least 15 minutes to check in, because the guest in front of us was experiencing an issue with payment. Once it was our turn to check in, it took about 2 minutes. Had we known that the newly renovated rooms on the third floor wouldn't have the arm chair available, we would have chosen another hotel. The room looks barren without it. The desk chair is not comfortable to sit back, relax, and watch TV in, especially after a 6 hour long drive just to get here, especially with an individual with severe arthritis in the hips and knees. We requested assistance with getting a comfortable chair, but were told that there were no chairs on the entire third floor as they had not yet arrived. The second floor room chairs had just been taken away a short time ago, and they wouldn't give us a chair from a room on the first floor since they were all occupied. I was told that all the people on the first floor had already checked in. However, I saw at least two guests check in after that. I understand that it wouldn't have been fair to the guests on the first floor to take away their chair, but I would have appreciated honesty from the front desk. After continuing to ask for a solution to the problem, desiring a comfortable chair as the best option, I requested a discount. The front desk clerk finally agreed to contact the assistant manager, Susan, who stated that we could get a 5% discount upon check-out. The reason for this MINIMAL discount was because we were already receiving an AARP discount. As we already anticipated the AARP rate as our expected rate, an additional discount of 5% was hardly a gesture of good will for our dissatisfaction with the lack of a chair. Finally, after my last visit to the desk at 7:45 pm for a last gasp hope that there might be someone who had canceled their reservation, I took it upon myself to take a chair from the pool area. While not a comfortable chair, at least it was stable and had arms, unlike the rolling desk chair. The website indicates that there is a hot tub at the hotel. However, the front desk staff said that the hot tub had been removed because the heater kept breaking and it never worked. The hot tub was one of the amenities that caused us to make reservations at this hotel. In one of our communications, management stated that they no longer advertised a hot tub on the official Best Western website, however, that is not correct. Another customer review stated that he had broken the 'luggage' bench, which does look like a sitting bench. This was an easy mistake to make since their wasn't an arm chair available. He was told that these benches are for luggage only and not for sitting. Susan, the assistant manager responded to that customer's review saying that the issue of the 'luggage' bench would be addressed, however when we were there, no notice was posted in the rooms. Acoustics in the renovated room are terrible. It's like being in an echo chamber. Perhaps the addition of an arm chair will help that issue. The alarm clock is fairly sophisticated and with the fear that it would go off in the wee hours of the morning, we simply unplugged it. Simplicity in a hotel clock is the ultimate desire. The website stated: “You'll rest easy knowing that you have everything you need in your clean and well-appointed room at this affordable Florida hotel.” The room was not as promised, therefore in violation of the agreement we had with the hotel, and at the very least, we would have expected an apology and a discount for our troubles.

My wife and I were very pleased with the hotel and especially the staff. The room was recently remodeled and was very clean, and the staff went over and above to make sure we were satisfied. We would highly recommend this hotel.

We enjoyed our 3 night stay at the Best Western. The staff was very accommodating, especially when we had to extend our stay an extra night they did so without any hassle. Diane and Jessica at the front desk were very friendly and always helpful. Within 30 minutes of check-in, Diane called our rooms to ensure everything was up to standard in the rooms. The complementary breakfast was hot each morning with plenty of variety. Our only disappointment was that the hot tub was down due to construction and the pool is not heated - yes it was cold in Florida. Other than that, we had a perfect experience.

Nice place to stay, clean and clerk was very friendly! Even made us cookies fresh and called our room when they were ready! Breakfast was fresh and tasty! Will be staying here again on our trips to Florida!

First stayed here two nights in November under stressful vehicle troubles that left us stranded on I-95 and found the place to be just what we needed. Julie, the night manager that evening went out of her way to be super helpfull and accommadating to me,my wife and our Labrador retriever to our late night arrival. Our second visit traveling back home we made it a point to schedule a second stay and Dana our arriveing manager on duty recognized us immediately giving us the same great smile and service as the first time. The room was clean, bed comfortable (both of us slept well on both stays), great tv and channel choices and an attendent for breakfast with tasty hot food and waffle maker. It proved to be well worth this second visit.

I made my reservation over a month in advance. And prepaid. I reserved a King Suite. When I showed up they tried to give me a two-queen room and call it even. If I didn't like it I could go elsewhere. And I would have to get my refund from hotels.com. I called hotels.com, they found me a room at Residence Inn. Hotels.com covered the room and said that they would recover it from this very poorly run Best Western. Avoid this hotel.

We were towing a pontoon boat and after checking the web to make sure of availability, we went in to verify that their lot could handle parking. The desk clerk said they were full. There were few cars in the lot and the web still showed multiple rooms available but the clerk insisted. Never had that happen before and was pretty disgusted. Wont stay at a best western again.

This is an excellent property if you have pets. Also, the breakfast is one of the best for a hotel of this type. My only problem is that apparently they do not hold the type of accommodation you reserve. When I got there I was told they no longer had what I had reserved but did give me a room which was not to my liking. I told them I was unhappy and was told the room they gave me was the only room available. They did adjust my bill as the room I received was less expensive but that is not the point.

we stayed this hotel to take break and stay one night on the way to our florida trip. cost is very reasonable. Workers were treated us well. They served very good breakfast. we wish to stay this hotel in future.

We called directly to the hotel not on line. Reserved a king suit over a month in advance. When we checked in got told they didn't have our room. They put my family of four in a double queen room. They could have called to let us know ahead of time. As I said it was booked over a month ahead of time.

Check in was good, we got one of the newly renovated rooms on the 3rd floor. Room was nice and clean but could use some kind of sitting chair in the corner. When we went to leave I was sitting on a bench located next to the dresser to put my shoes on when the seat collapsed and broke sending me to the floor. Cheap particle board furniture. Breakfast was ok about the standard for free breakfast.

This was a very nice place to stay with our two dogs - one large, one small. I made the reservation with the corporate reservation system and requested a ground floor room. When we arrived, we had been assigned a 3rd floor room. I asked the hotel clerk if this could be changed and she was very helpful in doing so; we not only got a room on the first floor, but right by the side door. So easy with two dogs! Next time I will call the hotel directly when making a reservation. We would definitely stay here again.

One of the shabbier Best Western Plus hotels that I have stayed at. I didn't like the idea that they book people with dogs in rooms on the top floor. That means you must ride up and down in the elevator with a dog. Not me. I get off let the dog go up or down then get back on. There were stains on the carpet and a weird smell in the room. I will not return to this hotel.

This is an old Country Inn & Suites. Hotel is very nice and convenient. Away from the big city of Jacksonville. Not much to eat at anywhere close. Good breakfast. Nice rooms, clean and quiet. Good stopping point off of I-95.

Asked for dog friendly room when made reservation and they put us on 3rd floor with carpet in room. Carpet stained and unsanitary for pet room. Room damp and smelled like mold. The air remained humid and wet despite AC. Few working TV channels. Will not stay here again

Stayed here on the way north on I95, very pleased. So we stayed here on the way south a week later, very pleased. Consistently good. Staff friendly & Breakfast above average. Very good hotel especially if you are towing a motorcycle trailer, boat, etc. because parking is very adequate. If you tailer a toy, you know how important adequate parking is for your travels. They get a 10.

Great location and great place to stay. However some older, white American guests have no decency. They show up in the breakfast room in sweaty jogging outfits, it is disgusting. The staff did not intervene at all, it seems to be accepted that those people walk around like homeless people in other places

Lobby very appealing with fireplace and small library. Fitness center was adequate and pool was well maintained !! Staff in breakfast room very helpful. Price was excellent. Convenient to the highway.

We were traveling home to Florida and need a stop before Bonita. The location and timing was perfect . The beds were very comfortable and the hotel is just off the highway. The breakfast was excellent. I will also add the front desk called before we retired to see if we needed anything or if their were any problems. What a pleasant surprise. We will return and the price was very reasonable

Dirty, loud, unsafe. Uncomfortable bed. Staff seems put out when checked in or ask for information. Booked online, paid in full, then when we checked out, they charged an additional might plus a $23.00 charge. Tried to resolve with hotel manager, clueless. End up calling credit card company to dispute charges, thank god I had paper receipt. Criminals and a dump.

In spite of a hurricane barring down on this area of Florida the staff remained calm and professional which helped us have a great trip. We didn't have 1 minutes problem. The breakfast cook was the best.

I was traveling this hotel because it was close to I-95 and pet friendly. The desk clerk was very pleasant and efficient I received my keys within minutes. The room was nice and big clean and well-maintained. The room also had a refrigerator and microwave along with coffee maker. The bed was extremely comfortable. The hotel was quiet. I had a great night sleep. I woke up the next morning went downstairs to the breakfast room which was well organized and set up with everything you may want for breakfast. The checkout was easy and I was on my way. I would most definitely stay at this hotel again in the future.

We only stayed one night July 4th, price was reasonable especially for a holiday and it was a short ride over the bridge to Amelia Island. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was really good with lots of things to choose from including scrambled eggs, home fries, sausages, waffles, and more. Nice pool and fitness room.

Loved this pet friendly place, clean, landscaped and just a great feel and look . Friendly staff safe area quiet and comfortable felt like you was staying in someone's home with very spacious rooms.. pleasant stop for sure would happily stay here again. Landscaping was so pretty even our dog posed for photos :-)

I had to stay here when the AC went out at my place, and it was great. Lovely interior, amazing breakfast. I'm only sorry I didn't get a chance to enjoy the pool and hot tub! Fast wi-fi, a really great bed mattress, I think that might've been my favorite part, that bed was awesome. Highly recommend.

The room had such a dirty carpet it was hard to imagine. We saw cockroaches during the stay. Asked to move to a different room. The room with no carpet was much better but by the window there is the pool - the pool has no rules or anybody enforcing them if there are any. There were people in the pool up until 2 am at night screaming and slamming doors. It was one of the worst experiences - hard to imagine that for such a price you get a one star hotel experience.

Came down with a group of 8. Had tickets to the Jags game. Quick 30 minute ride to the stadium and then visit Jax beach after. Great breakfast in the morning and friendly and attentive staff there. We'll explore more of Amelia Island on our next visit and will be staying here again.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff are absolutely excellent. Our car would not start and had to be taken by AAA to a local repair shop. The front desk manager, noting our distress, offered us a late check out time and stay in the same room if we needed extra time. Since we had off-loaded a large number of things before AAA picked up our car, this was so helpful. The breakfast was great and room very spacious. Also, there is a very nice restaurant a short walk across the parking lot that we enjoyed for dinner. It's so nice not having to drive somewhere for dinner after a tiring day.

We had a very pleasant stay. The staff was great. Very nice. Breakfast had very limited seating. We had to be seated in a totally different room. We will stay here again. We enjoyed our stay. We would recommend staying here.

This hotel is REALLY old. We paid $238 for one night. Absolutely ridiculous how they jack up the price because of the shrimp festival. We weren't even there for it, we were at a wedding. The carpet is old and dirty. The closet had no door. The sink wouldn't drain properly. Overall it was what I call “old” dirt. Dirty in the corners, stains on the wall, the fabric chair literally smelled. The rooms are in serious need of a makeover. If we had known how bad the conditions were we would of made the 4 hr drive back home. The breakfast in the morning was ok. Not what I expected for $238. The positive was the staff. Very nice check in and check out. The bed was clean but we kept rolling to the middle. The inside of the tub and sink were clean. We have stayed in many hotels and this is not one we would ever return to. Too bad as I have family that live in Fernandina Beach.

One of the nicest motels I've stayed at and the breakfast was outstanding. Definitely not your average Best Western motels. Great location only a block off the interstate. Pet friendly with plenty of space to walk the dog.

Everything was well appointed. Room and lobby was clean, but there was an odor in our room which went away after I used some air freshener spray and turned the air conditioner on. Breakfast was average.

Close to the airport and close to Fernandina beach without paying the Fernandina price. Has breakfast and is decently priced all year. The location is great. Jacksonville, Fl is the next major city and 95 is the fastest way to get there. It's also very close to the flea market/pecan park which is also going towards Jacksonville.

Have you ever left something at the hotel and discovered it was missing the next day ? Well I have and so I said “I'll never see that again “ because that's how it usually is. This time it WAS DIFFERENT; I spoke to Darius at the Best Western in Yulee, Florida not only was he extremely polite but he also found the three jackets I had left and immediately mailed them back to my home. We loved this pet friendly hotel when we were there and now we are extremely pleased with the return of our missing items. We will definitely stay here again.

We stayed here to be close to the airport for an early morning flight. The check in was easy with an excellent staff person- very personable. (Darrius? (sp) Interesting architecture to put a grand staircase to the second floor- yes the also have an elevator. Our room was fine, but the carpet had been cleaned that day and was still a bit damp. They should have held off offering the room or used better fans to dry it.- but thank you for cleaning the carpet. Breakfast was good and the attendant worked hard to keep things clean and orderly. Kudos to her. The hotel is located off from the highway- watch for the Burger King sign and turn there, as the hotel is to the rear of it. Lots of construction going on both the street and local development.

We stopped at Best Western Plus for a quick overnight stay. This hotel is nothing fancy but it is a good stop for a quick overnight. The room was clean but felt a little cold when you first walked in then it warmed up a little bit. Breakfast in the morning was nice. A decent selection. Not sure if we will stay here again but it's a good place to stay if we need to.

Quiet, clean, good water pressure, terrific breakfast offering, and plenty of parking with a close by gas station and easy access to the Highway. And the staff is all so very helpful. Check in was a breeze too.

Convenient location by I-95. Nice facility and was very clean. Personnel was very friendly. The continental breakfast was not to my liking with the exception of the coffee that was very tasty. Recommend this hotel.

We travel quite a bit and usually stay in Kingsland GA but decided to drive a little further this past trip. I'm really glad we did! The young man at the front desk was amazing and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. He was extremely customer service oriented, knowledgeable of the area, pleasant and very interested in being helpful. He gave us an excellent recommendation for dinner and gave us turn by turn directions to get there. When he wasn't at the the front desk he was cleaning and organizing the reception area. The next morning we came down for breakfast and there he was again, smiling and very helpful. I've forgotten his name but he was working the afternoon and early evening of March 5th, and the morning of March 6th. I'm hoping Management at this hotel read this review and give him the recognition and accolades he deserves as he is a true asset. If Mangement does read this review, I'd love to know his name. The room was very nice, well appointed, comfortable and clean. We will definitely go back when visiting the area again.

Best western was a nice stay , as usual. Good quality hotel , very clean, nice staff. Breakfast was goo. Too bad the road work (and see noise from it.... Of course is not hotel fault). Not too far from main attractions.

Free parking. Highway is right there. 15 minutes from airport. 30 minutes from the Ferdinand beach or Jacksonville downtown. Gas and food you can walk too. Great selection on breakfast. Rooms are spacey. Clean.

Easy location, from 95. Room had been nicely redone, great bed, very clean. But, oddly, with all that effort, bathroom door frame not repainted. And, hallway on first floor was tired with very old carpeting. So, funny combination of upgrades that never got done.

We are trip leaders for our Audubon Club. We took 54 members to tour Amelia Island. The hotel accomodated us by letting us use their hospitality room and breakfast room for socializing and meeting, The was especially helpful when our bus broke down and we were stranded for 3 hours until the replacement bus arrived 3 hours later. They cheerfullu supplied coffee, waters and lemonade. The breakfasts were supplied efficiently and deliciously by a very attentive staff. It was our pleasure to do business there,

I opted to stay here because it was near an event I was attending, and the rate for a suite was crazy affordable! Everything in the room worked as it should, and the room was nice and clean upon my arrival. It was a wonderful stay...

Stayed here on my way home to New York, easy on off RT 95. Daris desk clerk was terrific. Hotel was clean room nice size and free Breakfast was great. Fuel available right across the street. large shopping center about 6 miles down the road with plenty of places to eat. This place worth a stop.

Poor customer service. Pet friendly, and I can appreciate that. However, they seem to allow dogs in all rooms. Our room had stains on the carpet and my daughter had an allergic reaction. Constant slamming of doors to take pets in an out

This was a nice hotel, large clean and comfortable room with jacuzzi. Bed was comfortable with nice linens. It was conveniently located off the interstate. Hot breakfast included and try a Best Western again.

Location is great for someone traveling on I-95. Unfortunately, there is lots of construction going on so it is a little difficult to get to hotel entry and Navigation systems may direct you across the street from this hotel. Room was clean as was the hotel. It is pet friendly and there is a pet waste dispenser; however, front desk personnel could not tell us a specific location to take our pet for a walk.

No issues. Nice, helpful staff. Some road construction at main road in front of hotel that intefered with access, but not the hotel's fault. Also, a pretty good barbeque restaurant less than 2 miles away.

Traveling home New Year's Day. Left Gatlinburg, TN in the morning on the way back to West Palm Beach and looking for a place to stop. Found this hotel on a google search and gave them a call. Had the nicest conversation with the person at the desk and her was able to set us up with a room while we stopped for a dinner at another exit. We arrived at the hotel about an hour later and met Derrious (hope I spelled it right) at the front desk. He was already helping two other guests, but made sure to welcome us. The lobby was nice with the staircase and fireplace decked out with Christmas decorations. Derrious was super friendly and made sure to give us all of the information for breakfast and amenities and even asked us where we would prefer to be in the hotel. The room was comfortable and clean. It was just an overnight stop, but would definitely stay here again.

Motel was nice, room clean, service was great. Staff was friendly and helpful. Beds comfortable, clean room. No sign on highway, had to be on the lookout to find it. Breakfast was ok, room was crowded do to holiday travel.

We often stop here, since 2015, while traveling along I-95. The staff are pleasant and the rooms clean. The offered breakfast is good and included in price. Animals are welcome for an added cost which is minimal.

Overall, the property was nice. It was clean and the staff was super friendly. The bed was REALLY uncomfortable, we went and bought a mattress topper to put on it because the first night was unbearable. After checkout, I received two charges on my credit card. One being the charges for our stay and the other one (after calling and inquiring) was because a hand towel and wash cloth was removed from our room (so housekeeping says). I was supposed to be receiving a return call after the service desk spoke with someone in housekeeping the following morning, and never received a call back. So in the future, should I stay at a Best Western again (not sure I ever will), I will make sure to hand my towels in and have them counted at checkout so as not to be accused of stealing.

The front desk staff was very polite, helpful and quick. The rooms are nicely furnished and the layout is very nice. The motel is convenient to I-95. And is a short drive to restaurants and the historical Ferdinand Beach. The motel services are clean and well maintained. A nice place to stay.

Hotel smells really bad musty mouldy, we could smell it on our clothes and luggage days after. Construction all around, so dirt tracked in. Only fast food restaurants around, have to drive miles for decent restaurants. Hotel badly needs renovations especially inside.

We have stayed at this property several times over the years. We continue to come to this property for many factors. The employees are all outstanding catering to your every need, the location is always clean, the best in the JAX area, and the breakfast is great! I would recommend, without hesitation, this location to anyone travelling in the JAX area. Lastly, the rates are the best. Other properties, of the same caliber, charge considerably more and don't come close to what you receive.

Friendly staff at check in and very helpful when we had a defective smoke alarm.It was fixed in 30 seconds.The lady who assisted us went out of her way to correct the problem.I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a pleasant overnight stay.

Needed a place to stay while on a road trip. Saw online and read reviews. Right off hwy which is good sets back so no road noise. Front desk greeting was very professional. Checked in fast. Small hotel. Requested to be on a none pet floor when booking hotel due to pet allergies. Called the morning of arrival and was told we were on the third floor as far away from pets on the first floor. Really appreciated them accommodating us. Room Decor was nice. Room had a slight musty/? odor. The bathroom was clean. 1 set of towels each no extra. Nice new fridge/freezer. Bed had seen better times. Early morning we were awakened to a chorus of dogs barking! My husband recorded it! Couldn't believe how loud. The walls are thin. Breakfast potatoes were good. At checkout played the recording and front desk apologized and said the 3rd floor was a no pet floor. Gave us extra points for the inconvenience.

Let's make it easy, if your within 30 miles of this place you"ll want to stay here. Great employees, very clean, lots of parking. We were thier for over a week on business. So glad we picked the Best Western. Made things a bit nicer.

This hotel is conveniently located just over the Florida state line. No matter how late we arrive, there is a friendly face to great us. This is our fave hotel stopover on our way to south Florida. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Lobby and breakfast area are modern and nicely decorated. With the fitness room and pool, we always know we can get our workout in. Rooms have excellent TV's with many movie channels for lounging before bedtime. Great place.

I just spent two nights here with my guinea pig as a result of hurricane Florence evacuation orders. Short story: The hotel was incredibly accommodating for changing reservations due to the changing storm. Hotel amenities were good. The room was a HUGE disappointment. Overall, I don't think I would recommend this hotel, definitely not at the current price point. Long Story: As I said, the hotel was really accommodating with modifying reservations. I needed to do this once before check in and once after arrival. No extra cost for modifications if you have booked through Best Western. That was great. They also extended my checkout by half hour when our evacuation orders were lifted just before check out time. That is really the reason for the three stars. The hotel is pet friendly-very! While there, and I think this was a result to so many evacuees, there were at least a dozen dogs, a few cats, two birds, a hamster, and a guinea pig...and I am probably missing some! This was great for me as a pet owner, but I know this isn't something that appeals to everyone, so good info to have when booking. The exterior of the hotel is very clean and there is a patio with rocking chairs and a doggie bed. The unfortunate thing is that people camped here smoking...right by the front entrance. I think it would be nice if smoking were not permitted in this area, but I am sure smokers would disagree. I didn't use the pool or hot tub as they were taken over by kids, but the area looked well kept. I did use the fitness center which had the basic hotel machines in addition to free weights. Overall a good hotel fitness center, and it's open 24hrs. Breakfast was your typical BW fare, which was fine. Always some type of egg option, and a meat option, and then something like potatoes/french toast/etc. Also the usual like grits, oatmeal, waffles, yogurt, etc. I would have loved some fresh cut fruit, but can't have it all. I wish I had caught her name, but the woman who was in charge of breakfast was awesome. She was keeping up with everything and running all over the place all morning long-amazing service! And smiling and friendly. Breakfast area is a little small, so it was difficult to find a seat. Coffee, water, and lemonade available in the lobby all day. It would be nice if the tea that is out at breakfast was also out during the day as I enjoy a glass in the evenings. Fresh cookies put out in the evenings. So all of that was pretty good...but then there was my room. Upon check-in the desk clerk said "this is one of our nicest rooms." Which it could have been, as it was a king room with an in-room jacuzzi tub. I wouldn't normally get this, but it was the only room available when I booked... But this "nicest room" was a HUGE disappointment. Immediately upon entry it was obvious the room had no type of dehumidification. It was incredibly musty. I knew the hotel was fully booked so I didn't bother to try to change rooms. On top of the mustiness, it was obvious that hotel staff were trying to cover the smell with some type of strong deodorizer...it just made it worse. Also, the carpet was threadbare in several places…REALLY threadbare, almost large holes. Maybe scratched away by a dog or cat? If this is a problem, the hotel should replace the carpet with LVT or similar in the pet rooms. The bathroom mirror had a huge crack in it and one of the window shades was disconnected from the rod, so they couldn't close all the way. I was really tired and didn't feel like saying anything that night. I did mention the problems the next day. The gentleman at the front, I believe his name was Darrius, was very nice. He did express that they were totally full and I wouldn't be able to change rooms, which I totally understand. He offered to have maintenance fix the curtain and also offered some deodorizing spray for the room. He did add some extra points to my BW account, which is definitely appreciated. However, for a room that cost $140/nt +$20/nt pet fee...the condition of the room was really unacceptable. If this was one of the "nicest rooms" I would be afraid of the others. I will say that I did enjoy the jacuzzi tub while I was there. It functioned well and was nice for relaxing. I can see where this amenity wouldn't help with the humidity...perhaps these rooms should have dehumidifiers? The bathroom also didn't have an exhaust fan. When I was checking out, the woman in front of me (also checking out) noted that her room stunk as well. Sherry, the desk clerk at that time, didn't even offer an apology, which surprised me. Anyway, seems to be a common problem at this property. The rooms do have mini-fridges and microwaves. However, there isn't any place to unpack…there aren't any drawers. There is a standard hotel closet with a few hangers and one luggage rack, but that's all. Not a big deal for me, but worth mentioning as this could be annoying to others. The location is convenient, right off I-95 and about 25 mins to Amelia Island and half hour to Jacksonville. Lots of fast food options right at the exit, burger king and a grocery store right next to the hotel. A 15 min drive down to a couple grocery stores. There is a grassy area for dogs out front. One item that was kind of odd...there is a lot being cleared next to the hotel and from the time I checked in until I left, there was mulch or trees or something burning on site. The last morning the smell was so strong that my room smelled like camp and it was in my clothes when getting home. Ash was blowing about when loading up my car to leave. I am sure this isn't a permanent thing, but thought I would mention it in case you have any sensitivities, you may want to check with the hotel before booking. Bottom Line: I wouldn't stay here again for the cost. I think it was over priced for what they offered and they DEFINITELY need to do something about the humidity/musty odor in the rooms. I also would not consider this to be a BW Plus. I gave the three stars because of how accommodating they were with the reservation changes, would have been two stars otherwise. Follow-up: After completing a BW post-stay survey, I received an email apology from the manager along with an offer for a 20% discount on a future stay. While this is certainly a nice gesture, I don't see myself returning.

This place should be given awards for taking care of people and pets during a major crisis. The room was perfect. The staff members were the most caring and professional i have dealt with for years. I would recommend this Hotel for anyone to stay at

Convenient location right off the freeway, very new and modern building, rooms were spacious and very clean. The amenities were just what we wanted. The staff was friendly and very professional -- they handled a power outage without getting flustered. The rocking chairs on the front porch were a nice touch and they were always full.

Not sure what they were trying to cover up, but the odor was so strong when we entered the room we had to turn down the ac to try and clear out the strong scented smell. Anyone sensitive to perfumes need to be aware. Also was surprised to find a vinyl flooring and not carpet. There were white stains on the red bed decoration. Breakfast was a good variety of offerings.

We stayed at the Best Western in Yulee on our way home from vacation. We had a queen room which was very roomy. The staff were friendly and helpful. This is a pet friendly hotel. Breakfast is also available.

Made reservations for this hotel in route to Ormond Beach. Great hotel staff was so friendly and informative. Very clean and we were on the first floor and vaulted ceilings. Breakfast area was very easy to move around and food was delicious. Had potatoes that were wonderful. Highly recommend this hotel.??????

The location of this Best Western Plus is amazing. Close to the cutest town of Fernandina Beach and the beach of Amelia Island. This area is amazing! The foyer and front porch is truly out of a Southern Living magazine. I enjoyed rocking in the rocking chairs. The pool area is very comfortable. I wish we could have spent more time there. The room was great too. The only issue was the closet door didnt have a handle. No biggie. The breakfast was sufficient and the staff very friendly. I would definitely come back here again! Thanks for a wonderful visit!

We would highly recommend this hotel if you are traveling through Yulee. We stayed in a 2 queen bed room which had ample space, was very comfortable, and spotlessly clean. WiFi worked fast. Parking was easy. Access to the highway is very close by and easy. Staff were very friendly. The breakfast was excellent. We've been traveling for three weeks and this was the best breakfast buffet so far. The staff work hard to keep the area clean and tidy and well stocked. Coffee is available throughout the day and cookies are sometimes available too which is a nice treat. There is a small sundry area as shown in the photo. Many shops are nearby ten minutes down the road at River City. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

I stay at this resort as a rest night while driving to Disney. Always quick service, good food selection at breakfast and clean room. The kids and I enjoyed the pool which was also well kept. I will be back!

Pros: Great location. At the intersection of State 200 and Interstate 95 it is about 20 min to downtown Jacksonville and 20 min to Amelia Island. The Check in was fast. The rooms were clean and quiet. The room had a fridge and a microwave, which was very helpful. I didn't have the complementary breakfast, but did have the provided coffee, which was appreciated. There was always someone at the reception desk, and they were always helpful and pleasant. only Con: Getting out of the hotel to go east to Amelia Island was a little difficult as there is construction going on on State 200. Hint: Turn right toward the 95, and make a u-turn after passing the 95. Very quick and easy. Thank you for a nice stay.

Good morning; My wife and I were returning home from a three week trip to N.C. We decide to stay at your motel in Yulee Florida the, Best Western Plus First Coast Inn & Suites, Yulee, FLORIDA What a mistake, if it wasn't so late or so rainy we would (should) have left. This has to be the worse run Best Western we have ever stayed at, DEIFINITY not a “Plus”, unless your quality has gone down. I'm not an average over complainer, BUT here are some of your deficits. FILTHY; ever where, even the eating area, wow. The outlets where your heat pans are plugged in has BLACK, grease, dirt around them. This whole area in itself should be shut down by the state, for contamination. Breakfast, we went around 8:45 not beginning or end of service. The Eggs were dried out and hard. Only three pieces of potatoes. The meat again was dried out and crispy, HARD. The toasted BAD, after running the bread thru TWICE all we got was Dried out bread with NO toast color. We were stuck in a handy cap room, WHY? Everything in the room smelled like urine. Even the underside of the toilet seat had something (DoDo?) on it. The bed sheets were not tucked in, and were wrinkled. Were any of them fresh? Did I mention how bad it smelled. I do not know how long since the carpets had been cleaned, but Both the room and the Halls were filthy. Went to get ICE, even that machine was defective. There was NO rack to set the ice bucket on. How do you hold the bucket and push the ice dispense Button at the same time? Please DO NOT take our work for this, Go and inspect, then change there rating so your chain does not lose the Best Western reputation….

This hotel was really nice, the beds & pillows were comfy. It was in a good location, just off I-95. My family and I will definitely stay here again. The bathroom was clean and a good size and the shower rod for the shower curtain was the rounded kind, so you didn't have to worry with the shower curtain sticking to you while you were taking a shower. I don't like when curtains touch me while I'm showering.

Hotel accommodations were good. Rates were a bit pricey. The location is terrible. Almost impossible to get out of hotel parks my lot and head to Amelia Island. Pool is cute but noisy with lots of kids.

We stayed for three nights. All expected amenities were there and in working order. The breakfast included a good variety of hot and cold options. The attendant was so kind and helpful. She went out of her way to provide pamphlets and share about local activities.

I arrived at this hotel around 9 p.m. As I gave my name, I saw that the clerk had a puzzled expression. Apparently, someone else had signed in under my reservation. No problem! The clerk quickly handled the situation and awarded me a free upgrade for the inconvenience. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable, with the exception of a bottom sheet that needed to be retired. The breakfast was nice, standard fare. All in all, a very nice experience. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Good if you just need a place to rest, not really a workout area and coffee is terrible but otherwise not bad. Location makes it a little hidden and difficult to make lefts going towards the beach but easy access to Highway 95

Hotel was wonderful when we stayed in the past. No longer true. Breakfast was a mess. Amenities were taken away and now only average. I had recommended this before but will cease in future. I probably will look elsewhere in the future.

The BW 1st Coast Inn & Suites is adequate for multiple night accommodations. Parking around the hotel is adequate. Several Fast Food restaurants within walking distance, but I'd recommend using a car to cross the highway that is under construction (rush hour traffic in the early morning and late afternoon is horrendous). The Hotel is set back from the road that traffic noise is non-existent! Facility decor both exterior and interior is very nice. There is however, a raunchy stench that hangs in the hallways. The elevator is extremely slow. The breakfast room is very small and crowded at peak times. Breakfast offerings are good and adequate. The WiFi was excellent. The only real problem we had was the door to the room was crooked in the frame and allowed hallway noise and lights to enter the room.

The entrance to the hotel looks as though there was a car wreck. We also had items missing from our hotel room and the GM was completely rude, unresponsive and had a lack of a moral compass. The room itself was dirty on the floor and in the closet (cobwebs) and it looked as though it had not been vacuumed for months...

Traveling from Delaware to Florida with our 76 lb dog. No problem. Quite acceptable of our dog. Room was very nice and quite convenient to taking dog out for walks. I would highly recommend this place.

When we arrived in Yulee without a reservation, we stopped at one hotel that was full. The one next door was under renovation. We found the Best Western set back and learned it only had five rooms left - all suites. With an AARP discount the suite was less than the advertised price on the online sites. The woman at the desk was very professional and helpful. We enjoyed her pleasant ways. Our suite and bed were comfortable. The bathroom was narrow but with the extra sink it worked fine for us. Breakfast was standard hot fare that was satisfying. The woman attending to the breakfast area kept everything plentiful. Check out was quick and efficient. Altogether a pleasant surprise and experience!

Room was comfortable and clean.Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was well done just need stronger coffee.Hard to locate as it is hidden off the road and no signage to help you. Would stay there again when road construction is finished.

Been in resorts or Hotels for over a week and this was the best. I was in resorts and Hilton's. This was the cleanest and quietest room I have been in. The little breakfast bar was very good almost as good as the Hilton's and it was $17:00 a person. The handicap shower was great.

We have stayed here on our trips south for several years. The staff is accomodating and the breakfast selections are varied and very good. The rooms are clean and well appointed. We highly recommend this hotel.

Very relieved to hear (from another hotel that was booked) about this BW that accepts dogs. We had a large room (they termed it a suite) with a vaulted ceiling for $107. Quiet place, both off the road and yet convenient to I95. The included breakfast had enough to get one started except for terrible coffee, which seems endemic to these southern hotels. Note - restaurants are 8 miles away at a plaza where there is an excellent sushi place - Fancy Sushi & Grill on route 200 - and also a Mexican, Don Patron. Also, the road is under construction and there seemed to be no sign for the BW. we would not have know about it had we not been alerted by the other hotel.

This hotel is easy on and off when traveling south on I-95. Check in service was quick with a friendly desk attendant. The room was clean but the bathroom was a major disappointment. The shower rod was pulled out of the wall on both sides and the curtain dropped to the middle. As we didn't want to move rooms after already unpacking we had to be sure to not tug on the curtain or it might be down on us. I also felt that the towel quantity was very skimpy. Upon checkout at 7:30 AM I had to ring the counter bell 3 times. She wasn't even at the front desk. When I told her about the shower rod and skimpy towel issue, she didn't seem too concerned. Not sure if we'd stay again.

The front desk reception was very pleasant. Location was great with respect to I 295. The room was large and well appointed. The breakfast was quite good, although there was only 1 omelet left, with a half hour left in the breakfast time, and guests arriving after us. Parking was very close to an outside door near our room. Fresh, hot coffee was available in the lobby area. A noon check out time was great for us as we had a relatively short day's drive to our destination. The check out experience was also very well handled. It required a few more minutes as we took advantage of my BW Rewards points for a free night, and the processing required a bit more computer time. Overall a very amenable experience. Would not hesitate at staying here again.

Nice, clean location, just off of I 95. There are a few restaurants just down the street. And the price is not too bad. Give them a try. I think we paid almost $300 last night at Hyatt in Savannah and around $130 tonight. I like the price savings.

The hotel lobby was nice and clean so was the room. In front of the hotel is a gas station and a Burger King which I would suggest to stay away from the Burger King. My room was reasonably clean except the tub. At breakfast had no fruit which is uncommon from the other Best Western where I have stayed. I am planning to stay there again hopefully it will be a better stay

This is a very nice and well kept up motel. It's just off I-95 and has a gas station convenience store right out by the road along with a few fast food places. The hotel staff was outstanding and the rooms were very neat and clean. We will probably stay here again and recommend it to travelers looking for quality and value !

Property in and out very nice, staff very good, good clean room,matress very comfortable, exercise equipment good condition , (make your own waffles) got to love it! Parking lot surveillance good (this is very important to me).

This was the first time at this Best Western, but I have stayed at numerous Best Westerns. This one lived up to expectations; clean, comfortable rooms, helpful staff and nice breakfast. only drawback is only fast food restaurants in the immediate area.

Our experience was good. We selected this hotel as we were ending our drive for the day. We did not have a reservation and the hotel personal were very helpful. The rooms were nice, the other areas were also nice. We would stay again when traveling to FL.

This is a great hotel, just off I-95. We had to stay 2 nights due to car problems. The staff is great, the hotel is very nice and clean. The rooms are well laid out and very comfortable. Also, the breakfast room was very good and the food good. Would definitely stay there again.

Great overall experience, breakfast was great, night auditor was great, she went out of her way to be kind and satisfying, rooms were very clean, very quiet hotel, no door slamming all night which is great for a change! I recommend this hotel !

I could not have picked a better place to stay. Great location. My vehicle and me were safe. The breakfast was very good. And the place was classy I thought. The only problem was the Direct TV receiver freezing up. It was a small box mounted on the back of the entertainment center, which I reset by unplugging and it was then good to go. If you smoke, ask for a room near the side doors and there are several smoking areas. I'm country and not picky, but I always had a good stay at all Best Western I have stayed at. This was no different. Nice place!

We had a wonderful stay. Lovely hotel, nice people, clean, lots of amenities, including a delicious breakfast. We stayed 3 nights. On the third morning, the tip jar was gone in the dining room. We asked why and were told that someone had complained about it, so management removed it. I hope they return it. That essentially reduces the income of the dining room attendant. Not fair, when most hotels like this have tip jars. We left a tip anyway.

Nice, updated hotel, but the current state of the road and construction makes coming and going difficult. Lack of nearby restaurants other than fast food was disappointing. Employees and cleanliness a plus.

This hotel sits just off the major highway thru the area. It was the PERFECT location because the Jacksonville airport is just a few miles away. The hotel is very clean and appearance is great from the outside and the inside. The room was clean (and I am pretty picky about this) and the decor was updated. We did eat breakfast and although it is the commonly found (cereal, etc) items there was some hot food. We are satisfied with the BW brand for our price range and especially this location makes this an overwhelmingly good choice of brands!

We stayed four nights visiting family over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Very friendly, welcoming, infomative check in. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, breakfast was hot with various choices. Dining area kept very clean, and check out was quick and simple. We were very satisfied with our stay. I never noticed any dog or musty odor, I never saw a flea or bedbug. The hallways at night smelled a little like nachos because I think they leave them out for the guests in the evening, as we passed a gentleman in the hall with some. But it wasn't unpleasant at all. There is construction going on the road that the hotel is on, that was probably the worst part, and it was not too bad.

We picked this as it had a reasonable dog rate of $20/night. The room was decent. I didn't get the heeby jeebies when getting in the bed. A few Clorox wipes or cleaning spray to the inside door frames and places on the wall would make this room go from decent to pretty dang good. So what I'm saying is there were places I chose not to look at too long if you know what I mean. Room temp was nice, bed was comfortable and breakfast was pretty good. I'd probably stay here again but likely only if I had our dog. For the rate, it's worth it.

When we arrived there were tags lying in bedspread that someone had pulled off their clothes. It was very late and we had to get up early for a medical procedure. Told staff next evening and he acted as if it was no big deal. Then there was hair in the shower also. Was told it had a spa when I called a few days before to check reservation and sign was first thing I saw when walking in that it was out of service. Lady said it had been down quite some time she thought. That was after I waited over 5 minutes to check in. Im standing there calling and saying Hello looking like an idiot and there's no note , no nothing saying she was gone or would be back.

We always stay here. It's well kept, clean and the staff very friendly and caring. We have a dog and the "petville" rooms are always clean with no doggie odor, etc. They have excellent breakfast, which is an added plus??

This hotel was recommended by the staff at the Florida welcome center and they were correct. It was quite new and the check in service was excellent. The room was pet free and of course smoke free. The bed was very comfortable and the suite was very clean. A hotel worth recommending to all travellers.

We had a restful night in a nice room and a hot breakfast at the Yulee, FL Best Western Plus; then back on the road! The entire staff encountered were friendly, efficient, knowledgeable and helpful. The only criticism I would give of this hotel is there was a less than pleasant odor when the air conditioner was not on. I think it was from outside the hotel which of course there is not anything the hotel can do about it.

We've been staying at this location for the past couple of years as our halfway home stay over from Key West. We stay here too when we cruise out of Jacksonville. Very convenient and always a friendly and accommodating to us.....THANKS!!!!!!

I have stayed here while on business in the area. Very convenient to get to from interstate. Friendly professional staff. Free breakfast is a real hot breakfast. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Close to restaurants and shopping.

We have stayed at several BW's recently and this one is just excellent. Super clean and very new. It has really nicely appointed rooms and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was better (and offered more items) than other BW's we've stayed in and we would definitely stay here again.

This Best Western is the best that we have ever stayed at.The service at the front desk was excellent.The room was clean neat and the maid took some time in decorating the towels as if it was a resort.The breakfast was an actual breakfast not an continental breakfast.The rate was by far competitive to the competition for apple for apple.I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Convenient place to rest after a long drive. crossing the state line when tired. Staff was very helpful and friendly. I would definitely consider staying there whenever I travel to Jacksonville, which is always busy.

I can't give a full review as I did not actually stay all night. I made a three night reservation to spend time with my grandson. Upon arriving and checking in, our room smelled moldy and damp. I told the front desk and she told me there were no other rooms to move me to, and then offered to spray febreeze in my room. I said I could try it, and then she just handed me the bottle. Upon returning to the room, I thought how rude! The smell was overwhelming, mold causes sickness and allergies, a little febreeze won't help. I went across the street to Holiday Inn express, which was not much better. Yulee is not the place to stay!

We have stayed for the past 2 years during Hurricane Matthew and Irma and could not have been more pleased. Sherry and Susan at the front desk and Sheyli, Angelica and Jr in housekeeping, could not have been more accommodating. It's our go to place when evacuations are ordered!

I generally like Best Westerns when I am on the road. This one was God awful. The guy who checked us in was barely ever at the front desk. I found him texting on his phone in a back room. Our room smelled and you could hear everything in the hall. Worst of all the beds were barely made, and there were hairs(lots of them in the bathtub). Hopefully Best Western cleans up their act. I would sleep in my car instead of staying at this place again. One good thing was the breakfast lady was very friendly, and it is right f the highway.

I want to start off by saying I like Best Westerns when traveling, I consider them to be above average and get the best value for the rate. That being said, this one failed miserably. For a mid-range hotel it was more like a Knight's Inn or Motel 6! This is a pet friendly hotel, for the life of me I can't understand why hotels do not provide carpet free rooms for travelers with pets. Odor, dander and accidents are much easier to control in a room with tile flooring. I don't usually travel with my pets, but this was during a hurricane evacuation so I had no choice. I paid extra for my pet although I am not sure what that goes towards. I am glad to see more hotels offering pet accommodations but I think the 'design team' needs to take into consideration some factors of traveling with animals. This particular BW was rather disappointing.

Room was great overall. We had the suite, comes with a couch folds out to a bed and extra chair with ottoman. Only downer was the couch cushions were thin saggy sitting in a pothole. Firm foam needed. In the photo King bed, chair and ottoman behind me large tv left on top of dresser, desk chair combo, very nice bathroom lots of counter space. Closet and suitcase stand.

I picked this hotel with a coupon book. I got a good rate and the features of the hotel definitely made it worthwhile. The hotel is pretty new. It has an outdoor pool and whirlpool. It is right off the interstate. So, if you are travelling through, it is a good place to stay on the way.

This BW is EXCELLENT in all respects. Buffet breakfast was great, scrampled eggs with cheese, real home fries, and tender tasty sausage patty in addition to the waffles and all other items. I was only there one night on this trip but plan to stay on my way back home.

It has been awhile since I have needed a motel room. I found Best Western on line for my first stay. I had to return with my son this past week. It was supposed to be one night but plans changed and we had to stay another night. The staff made us welcome even though we did not reserve a room. I really enjoyed my time there.

We stopped here on our way home to check out Amelia Island and the hotel on the Island were very expensive. This was a great find! Pleasant staff, nice outdoor pool, quiet hotel, clean and comfortable. Great value! Will definitely stay here again!

Was charged a checkout for a rollaway bed but was not told of the charge when I requested it. Found an empty vodka bottle in the room making me wonder if it was properly cleaned before we checked in. When it came time to users shower.....there is no water pressure so good luck being a female and having to wash your hair!

I was pleasantly surprised with everything for how relatively inexpensive the room was. Clean, updated, no funny odors, it was just great for the family for the night. The hotel is very dog friendly, seems like everyone had a dog here. Dogs bark, so if that bothers you, be advised you'll be woken up early by it.

This hotel was awesome inside and out, updated and spacious rooms,comfortable beds. The location was very convenient and away from heavy traffic area. There was a very nice pool, hot-tub, near the woods. Breakfast was top notch, waffles, pancakes, sausages, fruits, everything, lots of choices. This was one of the best hotels of Best Western Brand and we will come back again. Highly recommend for any family who travels with kids. Great customers service from the front desk at Check in and Check out. Two ladies that worked Friday afternoon and Monday morning were very helpful and professional. We Will be back for next tennis tournament.

On our way home from NC we stopped at this BW because I'm a Rewards member and I get a better rate. We asked for a double queen size bed on a higher floor and they honored my request. The hotel is off I-95 located about 8 miles from Fernandina Beach & Amelia Island. The room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. My only complaint was the breakfast area was very small for the size of the hotel. One morning people had to eat their breakfast in the lobby because no tables were available. But the breakfast was very good, they served pre made 1 egg & cheese omelets, sausage patties & home fries. All in all it was an enjoyable stay and would stay there again if we were ever in the area.

Last minute stop with no reservations, right in and no delays! Family loved the suite, 2 TVs, great beds and all very clean! Breakfast was great and everyone could meet their own dietary needs. Did not try the pool but other guests appeared to be having a great time around and in the pool!

Good space in room but very worn and needs some revamping. Spread and couch were gross (spots and worn out). Bathroom was very clean and spacious. A little over priced for the quality. I can usually count on Best Western but I was a bit disappointed by this one. Breakfast was good and the gal taking care of it was great!

We were supposed to get two queen beds. If they were queen beds,they were the smallest I ever slept in. There were about 5 or 6 people smoking and talking outside our until about 10:00. Would not recommend for a good nights sleep.

Pleasant staff, decent hot breakfast with multiple selections, comfortable bed, clean room, convenient location right off I-95, couldn't hear a lot of noise from the hallway or other rooms (even though the inn was full all 3 nights of our stay). Price was much better than we could get at the beaches, yet didn't take too long to get there. Pillows are comfortable but kind of small. Asked for a couple additional pillows, which were gladly given to us. The air conditioner is kind of loud, but works very well. We have stayed here before and will probably end up here again.

This stay was very nice and the place seems to have thought of everything to make your stay pleasant. The room was nice, quite, and bed comfortable. The breakfast was one of the best I have had with the exception of high end chains. Well done to the staff.

Great stay in Yulee. This hotel is very nice and conveniently located just off 95. Delicious breakfast too. My only complaint was with sleeping. The room we were in does not have closeable room darkening blinds, so our room was flooded with light from the parking lot all night long. We were only there for 2 nights so it wasn't really worth making a fuss, but this is an easy fix that would make a big difference to a tired traveling guest.

A friendly and welcoming check-in clerk and an ample breakfast did not compensate for the overall state of the hotel. This was probably a good place to stay once, but it has deteriorated. The elevator area near the gym smelled of sweat and dirty socks. Our third floor suite had trash under one of the tables and the sofa cushions had been flipped over to conceal tears and stains. The carpets smelled musty. Maintenance was below par with trash in the elevator. The basic structure and "bones" of the place seemed to be fine, but it needs better ongoing maintenance and ultimately a thorough renovation.

New, clean nice Rooms very large, furniture nice, fridge coffee, bedding linens new, close to highway, maybe best place to stay in Yulee, 30 minutes to Atlantic and all the beaches, Amelia Island. Nearby food options not very healthy !

Stay was good staff very helpful , rooms clean , loud neighbor only draw back but that's not Inn's fault . Would stay again lots of fast food nearby .parking wasn't any problem even with big rig ! Did stop on way back north and results same without the noises

We were traveling to Florida and stopped here for one night. 14 miles out from Fernandina Beach. Hotel was nice - large rooms. Pet friendly and located close to 95. Bed was comfy. Overall enjoyable stay.

Great sleep and great breakfast. Location was also very optimal and easily accessable. The exterior was tops and proximity to gasoline and food was great. I will definitely put this one on my trip planning next time around,

We could find a dog-friendly place to stay in Amelia Island so stayed here for the night. Sets back off of main road so a little hard to see. Fast and friendly check-in. Fresh cookies were available. Large comfortable room. Grassy area and dirt road were good for dog walks. Area was not too exciting for people but is convenient to highway. Our room was by the pool but no problem with noise. We visit this area once a year and will probably stay again.

Good service the staff was friendly. The a/c should have been on when I came into the room but everything else was fine. The food was very very good. The location was great and there were places close to the hotel where I could eat and the breakfast was good and there were many choices available.

The physical property is definitely 4*. Large rooms with desk, easy chair,fridge,micro,coffee maker. WiFi. Good size bathroom. Outdoor pool and grill. PM they offer nachos,dip, chese and cookies. Expanded continental breakfast but the worst OJ we have ever tasted. Tang would be an improvement. At check in a credit card required even though I had prepaid. At check out a hassle to get statement showing a zero balance. Finally had to do it manually. Nearest stores , regular restaurant in Yulee about five miles away. Immediate area fast food and gas stations. Paid $91 via Priceline Express. I'd try KIngsland ,Ga. Ten miles away and probably 25+% cheaper.

Reasonably priced with clean rooms. Real eggs are used for breakfast so a plus there and all staff that we spoke to were friendly and helpful. Pet friendly and this was a must for us as we had a pet this time around. This is a great staging point for the long drive back to New England as there is no traffic you have to deal with in getting on or off the freeway. While just the usual

This hotel is very convenient to I-95. It a bright, cheerful facility with helpful, personable staff. Our room was clean and fresh with a large, well supplied handicap bathroom. We had plenty of fluffy towels and a shower bench designed for wheelchair transfer. Fortunately, that was not needed, but it was available. Our room had two queen beds with plenty of pillows that were real pillows, not the things that turned into pancakes when you laid your head on them. Our room was on the second floor and I was initially very concerned but there is an elevator that was located close by our parking spot. The room is equipped with a desk, WiFi, television, microwave and refrigerator and an in-room coffee maker. After a long day of being with a very active family, it was so relaxing to come to a quiet,a comfortable room. The room was quiet, no traffic noises, no noises from other quests either. The beds were wonderful! For the first time in a while, I woke with no aggravation of my arthritis. If I could have crammed those mattress into my purse or suitcase, I would have smuggled them home. Sunday morning we had a hot breakfast that was truly a breakfast - sausage, eggs, waffles and more. This is our go to place when we visit the younger generation from now on. Nice people, it's off the highway and I just couldn't drive to SC anymore. I was tired. They had snacks of warm cookies and nachos with cheese and jalapeños on the side. My room was comfortable and I would stay there again. You can become a best western member and receive a discount. They had breakfast in the morning and it's a smaller Best Western.

Nice amenities. Nice Pool/Hot Tub area. I thought a fairly priced value. Staff was pleasant and professional. The coffee availability and brand could be updated and improved upon, though. Otherwise, I will stay there again.

This is a very nice hotel that is convenient to Rt. 301 & I 10. The nachos and cookies in the evening saved us from having to go out. And the breakfast in the morning was very good. I enjoyed the waffles. I forgot my tablet in the room. I called and asked about it the next day and they promptly mailed it to me, Thanks so much to the staff.

We travel to Jacksonville every year for annual GA/FL game. Usually stay at a condo on the beach. This year we were unable to make reservations early due to sickness in our family and not sure if we would even be going to Florida this year. Once things cleared up enough, we were anxious to find a nice place to stay. We booked at this Best Western. What a very pleasant surprise. It was very quite. Our room was perfect for the 2 of us. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was better than most hotel buffets. We will be returning to this Best Western Plus on our annual trips. Very nice.

We cancelled a room in Savannah, after inspecting the hotel we had reserved and decided to push on for a few hours and find another place that would accept us and our Springer Spaniel. We were delighted to find this hotel, right off 95. It was nicely decorated, very clean, had a microwave and refrigerator in the room. It included a very nice breakfast and newspaper in a lovely dining area in the reasonable rate. We arrived too late for cocktail hour amenities. I did see a fitness center, but we did not use it. For someone driving to Florida or who has business near Jacksonville, or needs an almost apartment like room---this place fits the bill. All the employees were also very professional and helpful. Couldn't ask for anything more. They even mailed a back brace I had forgotten in the closet!

Hotel is a little older but still nice.WiFi worked well which is always nice. Staff was very friendly, the ac was pretty loud, and breakfast wasn't bad. it's only about 20 minutes from Amelia island and Ferdinand Beach.

The hotel is just off of i-95, behind some restauraunts, it was quiet, the breakfast was fair, the bed was good except for the pillows they were so fluffy when you put your head on it , it disappeared. the room itself was beautiful. the wooden stairs at the front was the centerpiece of the hotel. Suprisingly quiet due to the trees blocking the sound.

If you are looking for lodging in the area of Amelia Island, look no further..This motel is exactly what you are looking for..It has everything you need, and it is close enough to everything in the area..And when you think of price for all the ammenities and a continental ( full) breakfast thrown in, my friend, you are the winner.

Pleasant, helpful receptionist. Complimentary evening Nacho/cheese/salsa bar. Well appointed clean rooms with a good television and excellent satellite programming.Very nice breakfast with cheese omelettes, sausage and home fried potatoes. Only negative..somewhat soiled first floor hall carpet. Easy on/off I-95. Recommended.

We found this hotel excellent in every respect. Inside corridors to the rooms, and efficient elevator to the upper floors. The good AC/heater system has easy controls on the wall. The separate computer + printer room was very professional.

I really enjoyed staying the night. The location is convenient---close to restaurants and convenience stores and Interstate 95. The bed was comfy. The entire hotel was beautiful and very clean. Our two cats were welcomed at a small fee. The food wasn't as good as I expected at breakfast but the free cookie and nachos in the evening were yummy.

Clean beds and showers, little high mileage but not bad. My gauge of a good hotel room is how clean and comfortable the beds are and they were great. It's a pet friendly property and we did hear a dog or two but when it came to bed time, it was quiet. Id recommend it.

Driving from the north to the south I stayed in best Western plus every stop of the trip. Being very satisfied I decided to stay at the best Western plus in Yulee. It is definitely not a best Western plus even though they say it is. The breakfast was very meager and poorly presented. The room was fair and if you like using a bath towel that's maybe the size of a dishtowel then you would be satisfied. This was a very poor example of a best Western plus. It is just a regular average or mediocre motel. I believe the people from the organization should visit this motel and re-rate it since saying it is a Best Western plus motel is very very misleading.

I thought I had lost my custom Yeti cup and the staff retrieved it from outside of my door. It nice to know that there is still honest people in this world. The room had a odor in it when you first walk in. I always carry a can of air freshener for that very reason.

Had to stop for the night on our roadtrip home and was hoping to find decent accomodations for the night that wasn't too expensive. This property was clean and fresh with friendly staff, nice room decor and a decent free breakfast including eggs, meat, potatoes along with the usual starches. I would stay here again.

Enjoyed stay - beds were great - breakfast not bad Good location - plenty of placed near hotel - weather was wonderful - mosquito's bothered us some had to use spray to get them out of the inside of the car and a lot around the outside of hotel but some of that comes from the Hurricane Matthew

The hotel is behind a gas station. The guy at the desk was nice. When I checked into the room, it smelled so terrible I went back to the desk to complain. Again, the guy at the desk was very nice. He offered to upgrade me but I had already unpacked all my things. (Stupid I know.) He gave me febreeze to spray and that helped a little. The room was fine but I was on the ground floor and the outside light was basically shining into my room. Even with both curtains pulled, it was so bright I could barely sleep. The bathroom had been recently updated and looked very nice and clean. The hotel was ok I guess, but I wasn't comfortable there so I won't stay again.

This hotel is clean, modern and has great service and is a great value!!! I always stay here when I pass through from South Florida. Great Hotel-Great Location is great right off 95!!!!! I compare this to a Courtyard hotel!!

Great accommodations. Our first time here, but not likely our last! This places looks brand new, but is decorated in the style of the old south. Veranda across the front with rocking chairs to enjoy the evening breezes. Inside, the lobby is breath-taking. Dominated by a dark wood bannister stairway to the second floor (there is also an elevator), and the look of an old plantation library. In fact, there is a small "lending library" for the guests, and a book drop to return the books. Staff pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable. Rooms not huge, but comfortable. We require handicapped accessibility, and all the needs were met: raised toilet, grab bars in appropriate places, roll-in shower with a shower chair (this was not as sturdy as we would prefer, but it sufficed.) Hot breakfast, coffee pot, microwave, refrigerator w/freezer. Recommend!

Best place to stay off of I-95..Clean, Friendly Staff and pool and hot tub are great!! Breakfast was very good, many choices and TV in breakfast room, so you don't miss the morning news. also their coffee is very good and strong.

We visted Amelia in April. We stayed in Yulee. The room was wonderful. The beds were comfortable. Good location next two restaurants and gas stations. They also offered home made cookies and popcorn. They had lemonade cold and ready. Totally comfortable stay.

We were visiting fernidenia for the weekend saved money by staying here. Great place to stay great staff and nice breakfast also had cookies and nachos in the afternoon. It was a great stay will come back. Cheaper than staying on the beach and only 15 minutes away from fernidenia.

We stayed here on our way down to Daytona Beach. The chicken was very easy staff was friendly, the room was very spacious as well as the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and it was a quiet location. The breakfast had great choices from eggs and sausage two waffles and cereals as well as oatmeal. Would definitely stay here again.

The grounds were kempt, and the staff was friendly and helpful. They have a salt water system for the pool, which is really nice for those with sensitive skin. Our room was quite spacious and setup well. Unfortunately, we were close to the elevator, and it was highly trafficked by loud inconsiderate guests. The breakfast has hot and cold selections, and was standard for a hotel. Overall it was a good visit.

Overnighter before a long trip up north. Breakfast was typical for hot / cold buffet. A bit overpriced. this was our first night of 3 different stops, other hotels offered a nicer breakfast. Beds and room were comfy.

We had the king suite. The bed was so comfortable, I wish I had it at my house! Firm but not rock hard. The room was clean, bathroom was nice. Breakfast is the usual, not outstanding but still good & filling. Pool was small but was clean. Hot tub was tiny, didn't get in bc someone was in there but it looked clean as well. Our destination was Amelia Island. Memorial day weekend so no vacancies on island, this was the closest,about 20 min drive so no complaints. Would stay here again. Clerks were friendly.

This hotel was clean and the staff were pleasant. The breakfast was good and had a good selection of food. Beds were comfy. We had a great stay. Wi Fi worked well also. I saw that they had a fitness center but we arrived late and left early so we didn't use it. Check in and out was easy as well. I would definitely stay again.

Upon arriving at the Best Western my father and I waited at the front desk for about 5 minutes until the receptionist on duty who was watching football in the lobby finally realized that we were there. Once we finally did check in and enter our room the first thing we noticed was how extremely hot the room was. We checked the thermostat to see that it wasn't working. We called the front desk and they sent a maintenance man who replaced the batteries which seemed to fix the issue. We also noticed that the towels in the bathroom that were supposed to be fresh had brown stains on them. Later on in the night my father and I lied down to go to sleep early since we had to be up really early the next day. Unfortunately after my father had fallen asleep the thermostat once again stopped working and the room quickly rose to a extremely hot temperature making it impossible for me to fall asleep. I tried to fiddle with it myself to no avail. I went down to the front desk to ask the receptionist what could be done. I explained to him that I did not want to wake my father so no one could enter the room. The maintenance man who "fixed" the thermostat earlier had simply yanked it off of the wall and took it to repair, so I explained that I could bring the thermostat down to the front desk myself, but after the receptionist left for twenty minutes to call the manager and maintenance man he told me that they would not want me to be responsible for any damage done to the already broken thermostat. At this point I had waited for the receptionist for about 25 minutes and it was around 11:45 at this point and I had to be up at 5 the next day. I stood at the front desk all this time for him to tell me that all they could do was give me a discounted room for 70$. I asked the young man to explain to me why I should pay more because they gave me a defective room to which he had no response other than to apologize. I asked the receptionist if I could please have the manager's number and he responded by telling me that it was not available to him even though he told me he had just called him to see what they would be able to do for me. Easily the worst hotel experience I have ever had and also some of the worst customer service I have received from any industry. Please do yourself a favor and do not stay at this outdated terribly run excuse for a motel.

The hotel appears to be fairly new and, as such, shows pretty impressively. Not a scenic location right off of I-95 but is a short 15 minute drive east to Amelia Island and Fernandina Beach. Also, easy off and on to I-95. Staff was friendly and helpful. Cookies every evening with evening social hours every weekday. Breakfast was okay...pretty standard. Internet service in our room was adequate though a bit slow at times. We'd certainly stay again if in the area.

This was our first time in a BW Plus. There were some complications with our check-in but the young man at the desk was a big help. There were fresh cookies, nachos lemonade for the guests in the lobby. Nice.Our room was large and nicely decorated. The bed and pillows were perfect. The bathroom was nice until you looked in the corners and saw dirt and grime. There is no excuse. The breakfast was very nice. The breakfast are is very cramped. Overall. A great place.

For the price the accommodations were nice enough, clean and comfortable at a convenient location. Quiet secure rooms and area, good breakfast selection, a number of restaurants and local sites/activities for 'see n do' or explore within a short driveing distance. Biggest down side was the bed pillows and very heavy comforter on bed,,,either just a sheet or sheet plus what felt like 30 lb comforter! Other than that, all was good

I was over charged for one night of my stay, and then told I got makeup on 3-4 wash clothes and was being charged for replacing them. The air didnt cool properly, the bathroom sink backed up, the door entrance light was burnt out, and it is a pet friendly motel, which I love pets but would like to have known this up-front so that I could have requeste a "non- pet room..... the staff were great except for the one person I delt with at time of check out who over charged me for a night stay...

I loved this place for a 2 night stay. We got a decent rate and we were visiting friends near by. Staff friendly, pool area was good and couldn't complain. I guess this is a kind of truck stop area but it seems to be a newish hotel. Staff were nice and helpful and I would definitely stay again.

The Best Western at Yulee was one of those I prefer to put in the past. The rooms are very bland and dark and the bed looked questionable. When the sheets were turned back, "surprise", a dark curly hair between the sheets! When the reception was questioned if the sheets had been changed it was very hard to get positive responce. The sheets were changed but doubts remain. However, the breakfast room and staff were very tidy and helpful

This one is kind of a dosey... very convenient location off the interstate and close to local attractions. Very pet friendly (which I enjoyed), friendly staff, and very modern and clean. But the beds... the hotel should take every mattress outside and burn them. Then to ensure that the world is truly rid of the evil that is their mattresses, the ashes should be shot into space. Stayed 3 nights, and will probably never stay at a Best Western again bc in those 3 nights I probably slept 6hours. Very uncomfortable nights stay. If I pay u $350 for 3 nights, you can afford a decent mattress. While the hotel itself was very nice, the lack of sleep totally undermined all the good things I had to say.

Have stayed at this hotel before.. Very clean, close to areas we visited.. Had 3 beautiful golf courses within 20 minutes of hotel on Amelia Island.. Were 15 minutes from downtown Fernendina for shopping and eating out at night..

The hotel is an excellent choice if you have pets. It is not 3 star but feels like a 3 star. The amenities and furnishings are top notch. The staff is very helpful and friendly. It is very easily accessible from I-95. The only thing that needs improvement is their breakfast. It is not up to the standard of other Best Western hotels. I would highly recommend this hotel but if you like a good breakfast just eat somewhere else.

When you consider that there was an excellent breakfast included with the room it was a good value for the money. They pool was well maintained as well as the fitness center. The location is a well north of the city of Jacksonville but traffic was not an issue getting to where we wanted to go.

This property was clean, well decorated, and very convenient. The oversize parking was both plentiful and convenient to our room access. Plus the staff, particularly Sherry, has gone out of her way to return an item that I left in our room that is very important to me. When we spoke, she was happy to assist and is graciously setting it up to ship it to my home. This is why BW properties are my first choice when we need a hotel. And they welcome my two small dogs! Thank you Sherry!

My family and I have stayed here several times and will continue too. The staff is great, hotel is always very clean. Pool and Hot tub are clean and very well maintained. Another plus is there are always clean towels at the pool. We have a Great experience every time we stay!

This was a great Inn! The breakfast was excellent, the bed and pillows very comfortable. The rooms and all other areas were very clean. The elevator was too slow; otherwise, , but I was only on the second floor, so I took the stairs. It was a great place to stay.

Excellent stay. Caring and professional staff. We were moving to area and needed a hotel for our pets before moving in to our new home. Services were more than adequate. A/C was not as cold in room as I prefer. Refrigerator did not get cold enough. Hotel has a great pet policy. Would recommend this hotel!!

Overall a very good hotel. Stayed just one night as we were passing through on I-95. Our room was pleasant and quite clean. Comfortable bed. Thee room's layout was more suited to the traveling executive and overlooked the front parking lot. Could not sleep in as desire as the window only had sheer curtains that could be pulled closed - not heavier light-blocking drapes. The drapes that were there could not be pulled closed and were there for décor only. Could also also hear children running through corridor. Room was upstairs and just off the hotel's lobby, so I would request a different room next time. But it was sufficient for one night and for not having previous hotel reservations. I would still def. recommend this hotel (BW in Yulee, Fl.). :)

I travel from Key West to the mid-Atlantic area a few times a year. JAX is about mid-way. This hotel in Yulee is terrific. Everything you could ask for when traveling: close to I-95, has a lot of dining and shopping choices near by, is very clean, fresh smelling, welcoming, friendly, comfortable, and quiet. It is a BW Plus, so that accounts for some of it and I am so glad to have found it - I need pet friendly accommodations - because I usually stay at regular BW south of JAX off I-95 on the way up and it is horrible. Highly recommend this property.

A clean mid level hotel (hard to find those these days). It was a great overnight stop for us on a road trip. It's right off i95. And, there are many good restaurants only a few miles down the street.

It's not about amenities on our yearly road trips...this location is comfortable, good beds, convenient on/off I-95, WiFi (Free), in room fridge w/freezer section, very clean rooms & bathroom. Panera is fairly close by, as is a grocery. As an overnight stop, this is a good one.

Everything you need, clean and convenient. Has a pool, small gym and jacuzzi, free breakfast and is close to the highway. Free cookies and nachos at night. Mostly just fast food venues surrounding it, not dine in restaurants. 15-20 minutes to the beach.

We stayed here for 2 nights over the Memorial Day weekend and enjoyed it. The check-in process was quick and very friendly. The lobby is very well decorated and comfortable. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. I just wish hotels would get rid of the multiple stubby pillows they stack across the bed and get some good king size pillows on the beds. OK off my soap box. The bathroom was clean and well stocked with towels. The a/c worked well and kept the room comfortable. The breakfast was ok but not fantastic as advertised. :-) They did have a crock pot of oatmeal rather than the packages but I prefer grits to oatmeal. There was patty sausage, pre-formed cheese omelette and some soggy potatoes. I happen to like Missy's Kitchen here in Yulee for breakfast anyway. Will stay here again on our next visit.

This hotel is off I-95, very clean, with a comfortable, firm bed. The breakfast was yummy and good variety of food and drinks. The price was affordable. There was a gas station and restaurants close by.

We have been staying here for several years on our way to Sanibel Island. It is a decent place to spend the night. Our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast is typical hotel fare although very few cereal and fruit choices, but enough to get the day started. I normally rate this hotel as a 4 but chose to drop down to 3 because it is beginning to show some wear - carpets and furniture could use refreshing. Have said that, the place was clean which is most important to me, especially since we're just staying overnight. Decent rooms at a decent price.

Hotel looked brand new, I was told it was 6 years old. It had more amenities than I ever would have used. Easy check in easy check out, breakfast was good, staff friendly and professional. Parking spaces were plentiful. Convenient stores and restaurant's within walking distance.

My wife and I were in town looking at homes in the Fernandina Beach area. It was spring break and this hotel had not raised the rates like all the hotels near the beach. This hotel is near the interstate but only a few minutes to drive over to Amelia Island. The staff was very accommodating and the room was comfortable and clean.

Visited this property twice in May. The first visit was good we stayed on second floor the room was clean and comfortable. Upon checking out we were informed of the rewards card and also a $25 gift card to be used by the end of May. We signed up and returned for our second trip of which we were told that the promotion was no longer valid. Both the clerk and corporate stated they were sorry! All the promotional signs had been removed. Not a very good way to get people to return! Also, this second visit we were put on the first floor - the hallway carpet was dirty and also the upholster chair in our room! Beware of their promotions!!!

We had stopped on our way from Myrtle Beach to South Florida & it was time to stop, our one experience at a Best Western Plus was awesome! This location is showing its age & needs some attention! At check in the young man was very helpful & recommended a great location to eat. The room after getting checked in was not the best, there was water on top of air conditioner unit, I could tell some of the dry wall above had been repaired before, I placed a towel on top. During using the shower I discovered a part of the drywall was totally wet & crumbled upon checking it. The breakfast was ok but after my night it wasn't appealing. At this time I advised the young man at front desk of issues, he really seemed like it was no issue. Would never stay here again. I hope the room was shut down & water leaks handled!

We stayed overnight here (March 2016) on our way to Amelia Island. There were no shops around but the hotel itself was very clean and comfortable. We were very impressed with their service as well (juice, coffee, tea were available in the lobby, nachos in the afternoon). This is the best 'Best Western' we've stayed in, so far. We checked-in smoothly, we were also able to check in earlier. Thank you so much for the wonderful stay!

While traveling home from North Carolina to South Florida, we stopped here as an alternative to our usual hotel which was fully booked. It was a good experience, with friendly, helpful staff, clean, comfortable rooms and a convenient location. It as a pleasant surprise since we booked at the last minute. I would certainly recommend it, and will likely stay here again.

Clean comfortable place to stay. Easy off of 95. Spa, pool and small fitness center. Well maintained. Restaurants are at minimum 3 miles away unless you want fast food. Breakfast buffet was well kept and had the usual things. Staff was nice.

My wife and myself decided almost at the last hour to spend the weekend in Fernandina Beach. All the hotels we considered were full and the others did't have "hot tubs"! This is February in Florida, the rates are usually higher especially in the high end hotels. Although Amelia Island has much to offer in the way of expensive hotels, this was a spontaneous , more like an economy weekend. We booked a room for 80ish bucks thinking we'll stay one night. Not expecting much we were really impressed with the staff that greeted us. They were friendly, helpful and sincere. The hotel was relatively new, rooms were better than average, comfortable, and ultra-clean. They also said we could use the hot tub as late as we pleased as long as we didn't disturb the other guests! That was a big thumbs up! The ride from the hotel was only 10 minutes to Fernandina Beach Historic Section. After a long day, we went back to the hot tub and booked another night. It's also 1/2 mile from I-95 which makes it a nice pit stop if you're traveling down I-95 and finally made it to Florida. They also serve standard hotel breakfast. We liked the do-it-yourself waffles!

We called in advance and reserved our room. We've 2 dogs so finding high quality pet friendly motels is difficult. This one was top notch! Facilities were clean and fresh, the folks working there were pleasant, and the breakfast buffet was quite extensive and nicely presented. The overnight cost was extremely reasonable ... net opinion: one of the best pet friendly motels on Rt 95 between Philadelphia and Florida based on our many years of such experience.

We stopped at this hotel on our way home from the south. It has relatively easy access off I-95. I say "relatively" as you do have to be attentive finding the entrance but nothing really difficult. There are a number of fast food chains in the immediate vicinity. The room was a typical BW Plus room. Very well appointed and nothing to complain about. Breakfast was again a normal BW Plus deal with adequate hot and cold choices. Check in and out were with easy and quick. All in all this was a very nice hotel and we would not hesitate to stay again

I have stayed there 4 times now for business and I do not even consider another place. Good value, friendly staff, good location, always have cookies in the evening, very clean.... What else could you possibly want. Thanks guys, keep up the good work. See ya again next year.

Have stayed at this hotel several times. It is convenient and clean--especially good because it is pet friendly. The breakfast was okay with eggs, sausage, and home fries. Fruit, yogurt, typical bread and pasties, as well. This facility is beginning to show its age.

Stayed at this location to attend the Amelia Island Annual Shrimp Festival. It was a very smart move on our part, being close enough yet far enough away from the hustle and bustle. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A little disappointed with the evening cookies the one night I was there to partake of them. The same evening the coffee maker went out(was given extra coffee packets to make my own in the room, very helpful staff)Stayed on the top floor(3) was nice and peaceful even though the hotel was booked solid. Plenty of breakfast items even though we came down towards the end of serving time.

My wife's had her 30th the birthday and so I called ahead to see if this hotel could help with some surprises. The hotel made a birthday card, gave us chocolates, and wine. (We don't drink, but was very thoughtful) Very impressed with their thoughtfulness and helping my wife birthday very special. Thanks guys!!!

Convenient location off of 95 on our trip north with great service and comfortable rooms. Staff was helpful and afternoon snack with 24hour availability of coffee was nic. Would definetly use it again

The first room we were assigned belonged to someone else. I opened the door, the tv was on, there was trash in the trash can, and the water in the bathroom was running. The hotel gave us an upgrade for our trouble but the second room wasn't much nicer. It was in need of repair and smelled unpleasant. We won't be returning...

We stayed here on our way down to Miami and were very pleasantly surprised! It was new, clean, comfortable, easy to reserve and right off the highway. It was a great value and perferct for a small family. We loved the separate living area and the large screen tv on a hinged arm.

We were looking for a place to spend a night on our way down to Miami Beach. This hotel was a great hotel and a great value. It was very clean and professionally run. The breakfast was standard but good. We loved the suite style room with a fridge and separate living space and large flatscreen tv. The internet service was good to.

Very nice, clean, quiet, friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast area is good size but could be bigger, some people had to wait for a table to have breakfast. Close to the freeway and only about 8 miles to shopping center. Coast is about 30 minutes away. Best beach nearby is Fernando Beach on Amelia Island, about 30-40 minute drive but worth it.

Just stepping into the lobby gave you a sense of southern pride. There is a welcome table with a large container of lemonade for self-service and brochures listing some of the area attractions. Also the lobby contains a cozy sitting area. There is a LOT of road construction being performed around this property, but it was still possible to get to Fernandina Beach and Amelia Island. Front desk staff were polite and my reservation was handled quickly.

As we travel I-95 often between NC & FL my wife and I always stay at First Coast Inn & Suites. Aside from an affordable clean room and a fine staff, their pet policy is attractive to us as dog owners. The ease of access to I-95 and the close proximity of fine restaurants in Amelia Island and Frenandina Beach always brings us back.

All good here at this Best Western. Very nice place. Good location. Good Value. Very nice looking place. Breakfast was good. I would recommend this place for sure. Near I95 and easy ride to Amelia Island.

One of the absolute most disgusting hotel experiences that I've ever encountered, not sure where to even begin... Let's start with me calling to cancel one of my reservations online and got no answer for two days, oh I finally arrived got to the front desk no one acknowledge my presence for about 10-15 mins, no bell to ring, nothing, another gentleman waited as well, he was fed up and left, no lie, the manager sue, not sure if her name is correct came down and finally asked how she could help and I let her know how long I waited and she replied, I was only away for 5 mins and I let it go, she was pleasant after that. Strike two, I was charged over $460 three pending transaction holds on my account as well as $132 for a reservation I called to cancel and got no answer, I'm pretty upset at this point bc it's the weekend my bank is closed no way to access my hard earned money, it gets even better, we get to the room and found a huge stain on the mattress, in which I have photos to prove it, looks like a stabbing occurred, not even sure I really want to know wth happened, back to our findings, so we decided to flip the mattress bc there were no rooms available to change to, it was prom weekend, spring break, etc... So we flip the mattress and guess what's underneath the darn mattress? SOMEONE'S DIRTY UNDERWEAR!!! I kid you not, after this I'm pretty hot, I travel for a living and stay in Marriott hotels I'm pretty spoiled when it comes to cleanliness and customer service, Marriott is amazing btw. Anywho, so I contacted the customer service for best western and I'm pretty angry at this point, the lady at customer service contacted the front desk and no one reached out to me at all, nothing, I called Saturday it's now Tuesday and still nothing, the lady at the front desk told me, I'm not sure what you want, I can only give you 10% off your room, lady! really? No customer service, no sorry for us holding up your money for the weekend, or the fact that you had to stay in a filthy, smelly, dirty mattress hotel room, no customer service having hotel. Best Western Plus, I'm an awards member and every single stay with you guys have not been a clean experience, just saying, I've said plenty. If you stay here, check your mattress from top to bottom, who knows what's living under it, I'm done!

The hotel offers a comfortable and clean room with ample parking in a convenient location not far from Yulee and shopping possibilities and chain restaurants. The only minus was the breakfast, and we expect improvement the next time we visit. So do not rule this place out.

Great location and excellent value not far from Jacksonville. Just off the I95. We had no difficulty finding the hotel and it was close to several fast food restaurants. There did not seem to be any other restaurants nearby, even in Yulee, so were forced to eat fast food. That was disappointing.

This was a positive experience for this unit, It is a clean and comfortable motel with lovely rooms and service, morning meal and evening snack. Easy on off to 95 and easy trip to the beach. Good parking with many ways to reach your room. Adequate fitness center to work the kinks out of a long drive.

We stayed at the Best Western Plus at Yulee on 29 Feb. Everything about it was a positive, but special mention has to go to Paola C, the maid for our room. We did not meet or see her, but she obviously takes great pride in her work. The room was comfortable; desk staff were friendly and breakfast was very good. We would happily stay there again.

Perfect for fast in and out. Being very close to Rt. 95 makes this place an excellent stop over. we love downtown Amelia Island but went to White Oak, ending at 8:30 and used this for a night on the way south. Everyone was great ... even our late check-in was respected. Breakfast is hot ... a good thing. Fake eggs are suspect but then ... McDonalds is nearby.

Very pleasant staff and extra service with snacks and breakfast. Very good location on and off the high way. Going to breakfast early the cook was extremely friendly and gracious. Would recommend it to anyone traveling to the coast and Florida. Not very bust during the week so we had a fast exit.

My wife and I stayed at the Yulee Best Western as it is in between Amelia Island and a wedding venue we had to attend. It is only 15 minutes to Amelia Island and you would pay at least double for a comparable room/amenities. It is only six years old and has been well maintained. The hotel is set quite a bit back from the expressway so there was very little noise. The room was very spacious and clean. The pillows could be better as they didn't hold their shape. The bed was fine though. Breakfast is standard for a Plus category: eggs, potatoes, bacon/sausage, waffles, etc. We would certainly go back when visiting Amelia Island again.

This was a stop-over for us on the long drive from Canada to Florida. It's close to the I-95, so that's a plus. The room was fine. About what you'd expect. The real disappointment was the breakfast. We got down to the breakfast room in plenty of time - around 8:30. There was virtually nothing left. Not even any bread to toast. There was some cold cereal and 2 containers of yogurt. Great. There were other people milling around and some had obviously arrived when there was still food, because they were finishing up. Most were wondering where the food was. We asked the person at the front desk, who said the kitchen was replenishing "as we speak." We waited some more. No food. We went back up to our room, loaded up our bags, took them out to the car, came back and checked the breakfast room again. No food. We gave up and left.

This BW is a great place when driving I 95 to or from Florida. We found the rooms clean with a refreshing fragrance along with a good breakfast. They were not able to fill my request for a first floor room due to bookings but they put us close to the elevator which was just as good This is one Best Western that is on our stop at again list

We really enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Plus! The room was clean and quiet, and beds were very comfortable. Staff was great. The breakfast was very good and had a nice selection of items. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel.

My husband arranged for us to visit our daughter and grandchildren in Fernandina Beach for my birthday, Feb. 12 and Valentines Day as I just lost my last parent, my dad, on January 15 to help take my mind off my grief. The hotel is supposed to be non-smoking but the smell of cigarettes in the hall was so bad we nearly both had asthma attacks. It cold outside so it appears the smokers decided to smoke in the hallway to avoid being charged a cleaning fee. We had to ask the staff to change the linens the day after we checked in because the sheets did not feel or smell clean. The only cream for the coffee is half and half. No flavored creamers. Small thing maybe but important for some people. Lastly, I had a small, soft brightly colored blanket with me that was given to me by my boss and her husband with some food and other things while I was staying at the hospice house when my father was dying. When we checked out this morning the blanket got left behind by mistake. I called the hotel and spoke to Susan who said no one had been checked into that room but housekeeping said there was nothing in the room and nothing had been turned in. I insisted it had to be there and told her exactly where it was at...she said said she would check on it and call me back. She called back about 10 minutes later. She said she and two other people looked, but no blanket. So bottom line is housekeeping staff stole a blanket worth less than $10 in turns of money but priceless in terms of sentimental value. Makes you wonder what else they would steal. I am heartbroken.

Had to attend a funeral nearby and had to stay a couple of nights. Rooms were clean and the staff was very accommodating. The afternoon social was nice and as always the cookies were fresh and delicious ! Would stay here again.

This one of hundreds of hotel just off 95. We were blown away at the quality and service here, end to end. We will be back, for sure. KFC and McDonalds across the street, for a quick dinner. Breakfast, hit the buffet at the hotel, it is actually pretty good.

outstanding room in a newer motel. pool, gym and hot, free breakfast. they also give a good military discount. we wanted to stop before we got to the by pass at Jacksonville, and this was a perfect location.

Fairly new property, front desk very helpful with directions, places to eat., etc. Main issues: 1 Bed sheets didn't quite fit mattress correctly and corners popped up...didn't realize that until morning after of uneasy sleep. 2 Had tiny little CFL lightbulbs, very low wattage, could not read in bed...ditto desk lamp. 3. Breakfast room way too small for facility...had to wait for table, food, etc. Didn't matter what time I tried. Check out was a breeze.

I'll start off by saying that my review is for their customer service as I was trying to book a block of rooms. I called two weeks ago to reserve the block of rooms for my wedding in April. My information was taken down and was told that the lady that handled room blocks would give me a call in the next day or two. A week later I hadn't heard anything so I called back. I was told that the room block lady would give me a call. She did call me that night and informed me she had a contract already put together and she was waiting for her manager to return from out of town the following day to get approval. ANOTHER, week later I still had not heard anything. I called once again. I was told that the same lady would give me a call. Keep in mind, I am waiting on this information to complete my invitations, so I was definitely upset when I received a call two days later and was told they already had an event going on. Like really? It takes two weeks to tell me you can't do a room block because you have an event that was probably booked before I even called the first time? I have worked at a hotel along with restaurants and am now at an accounting firm. The hotel business is all about customer service, which I something I know very well. There are BIG customer service problems here. I am not upset that they couldn't do the room block for me. I am upset because it took them numerous phone calls from me and two weeks to tell me this. I will not be recommending this hotel to any of my wedding guests.

This was the first stop of a long road trip. The lovely lady at the desk... I believe was Shirley... Let us park up front because we had our kayaks in the back of the truck. Rooms were clean and breakfast was provided. Easy to get back on the interstate and back on the road.

Had a great night's stay with the wife and dog in this pretty nice place to stay in Yulee, FL. The first-floor pet-friendly room was carpet-free and had a really high ceiling. Had a quiet night. Really liked the quiet surroundings with the pool and hot tub outside in the back of the place. Free breakfast was pretty good also. Overall, we left there the next morning happy and rested. Thank you First Coast Inn & Suites. We will probably be back.

Probably one of the dirtiest hotels I have stayed in....night manager changed my room 3 times admitting that the carpets were very dirty and one of the rooms had some kind of bugs or knats...very disappointed
