My husband booked a hotel nearby and I will not go into detail but suffice to say it was not up to our standards. We instead booked a room here last minute and it was so clean and the staff were all incredibly nice! Breakfast was great. We will definitely stay again!
Sparkling Clean, Wonderful dedicated staff, hot& cold breakfast buffet. Relaxing pool area with tables chairs & loungers. The hotel is quit even when full, friendly staff who with hard at hospitality for its visitors & guests. Fantastic value...
I usually stay at Best Western's. Clean and quiet as usual. Staff extremely friendly. Nice breakfast included and very well maintained. . Carts to move luggage. Right off 95 close to restaurants and stores. Definitely would stay here again.
I felt very safe and didn't worry about my car. The Lobby was inviting; Desk Clerk explained everything I needed to know. My room was quiet, very clean; two double beds-- very comfortable and the pillows were fluffy-3 on each bed! Breakfast Buffet was 6 am to 9:30....more than enough to satisfy the hungriest of appetites! And, the room rate was only $80.00--included all taxes, etc. GREAT value!!
The hotel was just OK. Staff super nice. Outside appearance / lobby/ pool/ breakfast area all really pretty nice. The room ? Eh. Stopper in sink broken . Couldn't get it back out and no one on staff at night to help ( at 6 pm !). Carpet felt “ damp” and kinda yucky. Towels and sheets very well worn. Clean but certainly not “ crispy” or newish. For 89$, I guess it was a good deal. But for me I'd spend a bit more to be in a newer hotel. Next time . Oh , location was excellent - right off 95. And walking to a good little Italian place (Angelo's) right across the street ! Hope this is helpful.
This Best Western did not deliver the quality experience I have had at other Best Western hotels. The hallway smelled of smoke. The room smelled musty and when i took off my shoes I realized the carpet was wet. Covering up problems with new paint is not a solution to the problem. With so many hotels in the area, I will not becoming back to this hotel.
Very clean and comfortable room. Especially happy to have two relaxing chairs to sit i. Front desk clerks were very friendly and efficient. Lady who serviced breakfast was wonderful as was the selection of hot food. Location was perfect for our travel from Florida to western North Carolina.
I stay and visit many BWH all along the east coast and I must say this is by far my favorite property to stay.
This Best Western Plus is excellent. We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is close to St. Mary's historic district and restaurants. Also close to Osprey Cove Golf Club. I will definitely stay here next time I visit the area.
Traveling with my 9 year old daughter was running ahead of schedule for our stay. front desk was able to check us in a couple hours early. Nice clean rooms and good pool and breakfast. Nice older gentleman running the nightshift as well. Would recommend staying here anytime no complaints very pleased with our stay
Make sure what the charges are ahead of your stay. Big difference between quote and actual price. Also, if handicapped, make sure the room is accessible on the first floor and not having to go an elevator.. The room was very clean and comfortable once I was done with unpacking.
I stay here 3-4 times or more each year and this place is always clean and in working order… the staff is welcoming and accommodating every visit… The staff usually contacts me before the upcoming stay for any special requests … very easy checking and checkout…
Nice BW Plus for an overnight stay on the way to Florida. (Side note:this used to be a HI Express until they built a new location across the street, so its a bit "higher" in quality than your typical roadside BW). Friendly check-in, greeted me as a Diamond member and had a couple freebies to give (some muchies and a couple of bottles of water.) Good sleep, nice mattress and pillows. Nice to see individual bottles of shampoo and condition as opposed to the large ones that after often clogged up, glued to the walls that other chains now use--- Decent breakfast selection, friendly breakfast staff. Seamless check-out. Would stay again.
There were cockroaches on the beds. I was given another room that was better. I wanted to catch up on the news, but the cable was out... I received no follow up forom the hotel manager after several attempts. Eventually the staff said they would have the manager call me- that didn't happen either...
We had a great stay at the best Western Kingsland. The rooms were great, clean, fresh, well cared for. The breakfast was good fresh hot and we love the cookies in the afternoon. Kaitlyn, the night clerk was particularly helpful. We were respected and cared for and we would stay there again.
2night stay 2024. So nice to be welcomed by a friendly staff. Room was excellent. Breakfast provided fresh every morning. Hotel was polished and shined. Location perfect for Navy base visit as well as St Mary's. Beautiful for family vacation.
My husband and I stayed at this hotel on 1/31 and 2/4. This was our 2nd and 3rd stays at this property. It is located 6 hours from our home and very convenient for us when traveling to Florida whether it is to cruise out of one of the many ports, or travel to the Florida Keys - which is approximately a 6 hour drive from this hotel. Staff are always very helpful and friendly. We are recognized and thanked each time as a BW Rewards member. Our rooms have always been clean and comfortable. We enjoy the fresh baked chocolate chip cookies of the evenings and sitting around the pool area. This is a beautifully decorated hotel in the lobby area too. The breakfast is always well stocked and flavorful. We have told staff this has becoming our go to hotel when traveling to Florida - that's how pleased we are with the quality of this location. It's far enough away from the interstate to not hear road noise, yet convienent to restaurants in the Historic Kingslands/St Mary's area. An overall great hotel.
The guest experience was just how I like it. Easy highway access. Plenty of dining options. Pleasant welcoming staff, quick check-in, clean conditions and a nice bed and shower. The buffet breakfast was excellent. The price was great.
Was traveling to Orlando and stopped for the night. Would highly recommend this location. Nice clean and comfortable rooms. Most importantly was the wonderful friendly staff. Big Positive Shoutout to Mr. Aubrey for his help during check-in. It really made me feel welcomed. Also, wanted to thank him for your military service to our country. The rest of the staff was awesome too and everyone encountered was nice and friendly.
Very clean and hearty buffet breakfast. It has good room amenities, delicious pillows. Saw a little.gym and pool even though I didn't used them. Perfect overnight stay to continue on the road the following day.
Stayed here for one night over Thanksgiving weekend using points for a free stay. When I checked in they charged me a $5 Georgia State Room Surcharge that did not show up on the reservation. Normally I would have downgraded them further for this but the room and breakfast were pretty good. I am a Best Western Rewards highest level member and stay in a lot of Best Westerns. All of the desk agents I encountered were very nice. The room was clean and quiet. The breakfast was better than most because it actually tasted good. It included eggs, sausage and potatoes as well as all the other usual items. I would stay here again. Well above average for most Best Westerns.
We choose this location based on its distance to the JAX cruise port. What a wonderful Best Western! The staff were so friendly and helpful. Our room very spacious and comfortable. The coffee. Wry good. We enjoyed the evening cookies too. Very convenient to the interstate but removed enough you couldn't hear the noise. We have found our new hotel to stay at when cruising out of Jacksonville. This is a very good quality Best Western.
Absolutly the best customer service I've had this trip. The checkin woman made me feel so welcome. She is a gem. She even checked on me within 30 min of check in to make sure everything was acceptable to me. Such a nice change from horrible Home2Suites experience the night before. And such a bargain ! Plenty of places to get gas , shop ,eat. It's an older hotel but it was spotless and everything worked flawlessly. Comfortable bed. Good channel selection. Top notch breakfast. OMG , the coffee machine....I want one. Upon check out there was an equally cheerful desk person. I will make this my stopover spot every trip up north.
Wow, this is a hidden Gem in Kingsland, cleanest hotel in the area. So clean n well maintained it would seem as it opened this moth. Friendly staff, perfect location for shopping, day trips, dining. This should be a 3 star of higher hotel
Great place for one night. A few restaurants near by makes life easier. Just change the coffee machine in the breakfast room. Even thou the place is a litte old it still keeps up with the Best Western standards.
every thig was perfect as and elite member i found nothing wrong fast check in beds were comfortable shower was good water pressure was good room was big plenty of outlet breakfast good the front deck person was very helpful check out was easy
everything was in order nice breakfast and great coffee machine lots of dining choices near and interstate very close staff helpful parking very convenient great coffee machine!!!!! will return and this wasn't our first time here
Lady at the front desk treated us like we were at a 10 star resort. Matter of fact she was nicer than we've been treated at some of the higher priced hotels. Room was clean, breakfast was decent and price was great. Will stop again when in the area
The staff was helpful and friendly. The room was clean. There wasn't any mechanical issues. We felt safe while we were there. Breakfast was delicious! Be sure to done at Sonny's BBQ while you are there!
This hotel has a great location just north of the Florida state line on 95. The beds are comfortable, the towels are great, and the staff are phenomenal. The bonus is the hotel's new (at least since the last time we stayed there) coffee/hot chocolate/cappuccino machine! Oh, goodness - it makes a cappuccino just as good as any expensive coffeehouse!
We stayed here for two nights recently while visiting sights in the area. It was a good location for traveling to St. Mary's and also the Fernandina Beach/Amelia Island area. The room was a little on the small side but very adequate for our needs and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom did not have a tub but a walk-in shower which was fine with us and the sink was just outside the bathroom. The breakfast was adequate although the dining area was small and somewhat crowded. The breakfast attendant kept everything well stocked and we were satisfied with the choices offered.
Our stay was one of necessity as I was too tired to drive home that day. The hotel was bright and welcoming, the staff pleasant and cheerful. The breakfast exceeded our expectations with omelettes, home fries and the usual waffles and such. We will be back!
Toilet and shower were filthy. Mattress old and soft. We killed a beetle on the carpet. Took pictures of the stinky water stains in the toilet; which according to staff is the same in all other units due to water quality in the area. Stayed at holiday inn 10 days later across the street and the bathroom was sparkling clean. Who the he'll gave the BW Plus these good reviews? Their personal staff? Or their cleaners ( if they had any) willing to share video and picture to prove our rating.
My wife and I along with our 11 year old twin girls recently spent a night at the Best Western Plus in Kingsland while en route to Florida after a long day on the road. That said, here was our experience: Lobby/first impression - We walked in to a comfortable, clean lobby that presented well before being greeted by the very friendly, helpful front desk staffer (wish that I had remembered her name!). We arrived in just after 8pm, but check-in was a breeze, and were settled in our room in no time. Five stars all round. . Location - Great location for all those looking for easy access, right off the I-95, and quite literally a few miles away from the Florida border. There are also several restaurants in and around the area for all those seeking to grab some grub (which we did, but kept it simple with the Waffle House since we were all in a breakfast for dinner mood). There are also several big stores and a Wal-Mart a few minutes down the road for those needing to load up for the road. On the whole, you can't go wrong with the Best Western's location when balancing convenience with practicality. Rooms – Clean and comfortable, and providing all the necessities for a one night's stay. No complaints here, with the usual amenities expected from a hotel of this class included. Five stars. Other stuff: The complimentary breakfast was a plus for getting our girls fed and on the road. Items included a waffle maker, cereal, eggs and sausage, etc., and enough seating for everyone during the busy breakfast period. Value: We managed to get a room at the Best Western through a CAA/AAA discount, and felt it matched the quality we received in return, and better priced than some of its direct competitors in the area. As far as highway hotels go, we found this to be great value, given the astronomical rates some of the surrounding area hotels charge (trust me, we looked). To that end, we'd call the value we received very reasonable. The Bottom Line – A quick, convenient, and overall pleasant stay all around. The Best Western Plus in Kingsland is a clean, affordable option at this highway stopover point (cheaper options are available, but they are priced accordingly for what your experience might be like). I would recommend the Best Western Plus to anyone seeking convenience and efficiency and the expected quality the chain is known for. Five stars based on our experience, well done.
The staff was friendly and helpful. Arieanna was fantastic. The room was very clean and functional. I would definitely recommend the hotel. Grandson loved the pool. Breakfast was delicious and plenty to serve all the guests.
We stay at a lot of Best Western hotels. This was our favorite so far. The staff was professional. The breakfast was very good. The room was clean and comfortable. The area around the hotel was nice - we even took a quick walk to a small Italian Restaurant for dinner.
We stopped here on our way from Florida to Charleston, SC. Sheri took our reservation over the phone and she could not have been any nicer as she helped us find the best rate. She was super friendly during check in even though it was 1 AM! The room was clean, but smaller than I usually see at a Best Western Plus. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was fine. Eggs, fruit, waffles were among the offerings. The coffee was frequently replenished and the staff was very friendly.
Staff were very friendly and hotel in a good location.Rooms were clean and good condition with microwave and mini refrigerator coffee maker as well.room well stocked and breakfast was very well stocked with variety items to choose from.we received a text message every day of our trip to make sure all was well for our stay.
Stayed here for one night on our way to Disney. Great hotel. Loved the uniqueness and felt homey. Staff was very friendly and it was beautifully decorated inside for the holidays. Room was a good size and beds were comfortable. Nice big and updated shower. Fridge, microwave and coffee maker in the room. Fresh baked chocolate chip cookies in the evenings with coffee, tea and hot chocolate. Breakfast was delicious. Best eggs I have ever had at a hotel! Lots of other choices as well, both hot and cold. I would recommend eating early or late for breakfast as the sitting area is small and fills up quickly. Would highly recommend this hotel!
Property is attractive, very clean, and quiet. It's set back from the main road so there is very little street noise. Helpful and friendly staff. Good hot breakfast with a variety of choices which were different on each of the two mornings we ate there.
The room was clean and well-maintained. Everything worked as it should. The staff was exceptionally friendly and made you feel welcome. Breakfast was very good and fully stocked. The eating area was clean and pleasant to use.
We stayed overnights heading south. Reception was extraordinary. Room was typical. Hotel needs to stay current. The little things matter. Room was clean. Beds were too hard, that subjective, need updating. Breakfast was decent.
My husband and I very much enjoyed our stay at The Best Western Plus in Kingsland Georgia. It is well located off 195 and in close proximity to restaurants. After a long drive we were warmly welcomed and greeted by Aubrey at check in . He is both extremely polite and professional - a wonderful asset to the property. Receiving a phone call from him a few minutes after our settling in to see if everything was ok and if we were comfortable was appreciated . We were impressed by the lobby and how nicely it was decorated for the holidays - moreover it was bright and nicely appointed and impeccably clean . Our room - with a King bed could be considered on the smaller side but it was very clean and comfortable - and nicely appointed similar to the lobby . The bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet . The fridge inside the room was perfect for keeping food items having both a bottom for cold and top freezer .Having a microwave in the room is also a plus . We did not use any of the amenities therefore cannot comment on these nor did we have breakfast although other reviews are positive. It is not a new property but it is extremely well maintained .- with a “welcoming feel “ The “ little touches “ Ie Mr Aubrey s freshly baked cookies ( served from 6 30 pm on) do make a nice difference . We have stayed at one of this hotel's competitors but we will be staying here in the future ! Kudos to the Best Western Plus Kingsland Team .!
This motel is adequate. I wonder where all the rave reviews came from. It is clean enough but needs a face lift. Rugs are discolored. Walls and furniture are chipped. TV is good and fridges have a frost free freezer. Breakfast is served until 9:30 and is a decently presented typical motel breakfast. Would I stay here again ? Not too sure.
Stayed at this hotel during a military reunion. Great nightly rate, very helpful staff, and clean room. Standard fare for breakfast that gave us a good start for the day. Would be happy to stay here again.
Property is not new, but VERY WELL MAINTAINED. Staff was courteous, service was great. The room was quiet, and was just overall, AWESOME. I have stayed in a number of hotels at that Kingsland exit. Been looking for my GO TO hotel.. FOUND IT!
What a great hotel. Wonderful person at check in and out. Very nice room. Well kept property inside and out. Easy access to parking and even had EV charging stations but did not need that myself. Nice little Italian restaurant literally a 2 minute walk away and a gas station with easy access (no traffic lights or having to drive on the main road). Would absolutely stay here again!
A bed is a bed as long as it's clean and comfortable. Pleasant, no frills hotel with a comfy mattress and decent pillows. Free hot breakfast includes eggs and breakfast meat, potatoes, oatmeal, cereals, etc. What earned this hotel a rare 5 from me was the people who work here. We checked in at midnight to a truly friendly and engaging Jim. His kind demeanor and his caring nature was just so refreshing to be around. I'd come back anytime with that kind of reception. The next morning there was another very friendly face at the front desk and an equally friendly person in the breakfast room, neatly replenishing the extremely clean breakfast area. The vibe here is a positive one, they are very kind. While getting breakfast a chatty guest shared with me that he and his wife stay here every month for five days while their house is being built. That's another five star review from an in-the-know regular!
Excellent hotel. The area is pleasant. The room was roomy and nicely decorated. Bed was comfortable. Clean, quiet..etc...there is nothing negative a could say about this Best Western...it was one of the best.
The front desk greeted us with a smile and a goodie bag. This is one of our favorite stops. It is very convenient. The rooms are fairly large with two chairs. Everything was in good working order AC was not loud. The only negative is I do not like carpeting in the room.
5, thank you so much for catching us before we left to return of all things my wife's stuffed frog. It's definitely her travel companion and she was actually in tears when she realized it got overlooked and left behind.
this is a very nice and clean motel. people were very nice and made you feel at home and made sure everything was ok for you. could not ask for anymore breakfast was one of the best we have had in last 2 years at motels hot and good
The staff was friendly and helpful and the room was comfortable. It appears to be either a newer hotel or nicely refurbished. There were good selections at breakfast and the location is convenient to the Cumberland Island Ferry.
The entire experience from check in to check out was exceptional. This was actually my first time staying at a Best Western and won't be my last. The location was perfect and the room was roomy, comfortable, and clean. Can't go wrong stopping here on the way to Florida!
I stayed at this hotel as I was traveling and had a medical experience, I arrived here and Kristen was amazing she made me feel welcome and help me, she's a caring human being, I can't thank her enough, she went out of her way to help. She's owesome. Great customer service, property is super clean, everything was great! I highly recommend this hotel.
This was good for the price I paid. The breakfast was great. The air in my room wasn't working properly. The bathroom shower needs to be updated. My neighbors room was great. The employees were nice and caring. The pool should have been clean out. The locatation was in a great safe spot. Other than getting a not no so good working air unit. In my room. Every thing was great.
Have stayed here several times over the past few years… to and from MLB Spring Training… visiting family in Florida… they always accommodate my special needs … friendly safe and clean… will be back soon!!!
On our trip to New York, my husband and I chose to stay at this facility. The rate was very reasonable and therefore, we chose BW. To my surprise, the hotel was first rate. Until this stay,BW was not my first choice. The manager wa extremely friendly and competent. The room and breakfast exceeded my expectations. The hotel was the BEST of BW. I definitely recommend this hotel to all. The manager was the BEST and a definite asset to this hotel
The staff was friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was great. The hotel is close to lots of restaurants and right off the interstate. The Room was clean. The doors all open from inside the hotel which we prefer for safety. The hotel and parking lot seemed safe. A great stay. We will plan to stay here again on a future trip to Florida.
Hotel seemed clean. Pleasant and helpful lady at the check in counter. Easily received more towels. Bathroom was large. TV was a good size. Air worked well. Bigger refrigerator than normal. Would stay again. Need more characters so you can stop reading.
Family was driving from Boca Raton with one stop in St. Augustine. The drive is long and tiring. Kingsland was a perfect location to stop. The Desk Clerk was extremely friendly and shared important information. She made cookies and coffee which was out for guest. It was a perfect evening snack. The employee taking care of the breakfast the next morning was busy keeping the food filled, area cleaned up, and friendly to guest with questions.
The entire staff is friendly and kind, the hotels location is perfect. However the hotel does need to address certain aspects of cleaning. The walls in the room were disgusting with brown water drip stains on the walls and the stale odor of cigarette smoke was aweful. This hotel has the potential to be nice instead of borderline if they would just clean a little better.
The customer service was great. Breakfast was good with options and the room was clean. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel was live really located near some restaurants and made accessing 95 easy. I would definitely stay again.
Overnight stop. An older property, but appears to be well cared for. Staff is friendly, room was clean, breakfast options were good, and the only issue I had was the hall used for access after check-in. I have to question the safety of the two luggage trolleys in this area, with the elevator and fire extinguisher in a small space. Though there is an unloading space on the outside, this isn't guest friendly.
We were very pleased with this motel. Rooms are comfortable and clean, staff helpful, breakfast very good. I would stay here again. A little Italian restaurant is right across the street so you can walk right over.
We only stayed one night at the Kingsland Best Western Plus enroute to Florida. The location was close to the highway but we could not hear any road noise in the room. The rooms are dated and filthy, surfaces had to be wiped down as housekeeping is not thorough at all. The first room we had smelled musty like a wet towel was sitting somewhere. The second room we had didn't smell bad but the light switches and toilet seat were disgusting. The water pressure in the shower was low.
Stayed overnight in a clean room and had excellent service especially in the dining area. The price for the stay was good considering what was offered. The woman who checked us in told us where to get carts for our luggage and we're our room was.
Very comfortable hotel and excellent customer service! They have fresh baked cookies out and when we arrived they were all gone, but a little while later they were freshly stocked up. Breakfast attendant did a great job at keeping coffee and food fresh. The pool looked inviting but sadly the weather did not cooperate on our trip. Room was immaculate as well as bedding. The only reason I'm rating a 4 VS 5 is that the bathroom fan did not work and the hotel is older and needs some updating.
enjoyed the stay. room was nice and clean. it was comfortable and quiet and the staff were very nice and welcoming. The breakfast was good although it was kind of crowded in the small dining space. ended up bringing my food back to the room to eat. overall stay was nice and i would recommend it to others.
We were unable to find a room available from south of Savannah to Gainesville, FL. We eventually stayed in a dive in desperation on our way to FL. Book ahead! Gone are the days when you can drive until you're tired and then pull into lodging!
We were totally satisfy with this place except for we felt CHEATED ..... the web said pet friendly but when we got there they said no PETS however they accommodated us by CHARING US $50.00 which we felt was wrong. We are on our way back to Mass but we are checking other hotels because we felt lied too and cheated again. We would like our $50.00 either credited or taken off my credit card
This Best Western is very nice with a nice staff. We had to use maintenance for a small issue and it was handled quickly. Easy on and off I95. This is our “stay location” on our trips South. Would recommend.
From the minute we walked in to the minute we checked out everyone was very fiendly and pleasant. Breakfast was excellent with the person taking are of it made sure everything was hot and fresh and full. Room was very clean and well appointed. Looks to have been relatively recently updated. Liked the clothes hanging amouir. Two easy chairs was a nice touch. Easy parking and very clean.
From the time you check in until you check out you will be amazed by the level of service. The staff at the Best Western Plus in Kingsland are the most accommodating of any. I travel for work and stay in hotels over one hundred fifty nights per year and have never been more comfortable than my stays here!
It was a nice motel and had the most important feature...it was clean! The staff was polite, breakfast was good (typical motel fare), the building, grounds and interior were well maintained, and I had no issues during our one night stay.
the staff here are very accommodating. They went out of their way to make sure we had a pleasant stay. The breakfast was excellent and the breakfast area was super clean with well stocked fresh hot food.
When leaving upon checkout, we discovered we had a flat tire. As we are seniors with some medical restrictive activity, we called AAA, emptied our trunk, got out the spare tire and proceeded to wait until AAA arrived. During this time we loaded up a luggage cart as we needed the trunk area to take the tire to get replaced or fixed. The staff was so gracious and helpful to store our belongings in a safe place until we could arrive back at the hotel after all was fixed. During our wait the MaintenanceTechnician at the hotel stopped by to check on us and chat with Southern hospitality. This experience set us back 3.5 to 4 hours on time for our travels but we felt safe and taken care of in the hands of this Best Western staff. The hotel itself was clean, in a safe and easy to find location, and the staff were all very pleasant and professional. We will definitely be staying with this Best Western in Kingsland, GA in our future.
This was possibly the most beautiful of the hotels I have recently visited. Not only that, but the bed was comfortable, the air conditioning quiet, the easy chairs were relaxing and the shower was wonderful. This was the most pleasant hotel I have ever stayed in
this hotel was centrally located to many great restaurants and stores as well as right off I-95. The room was clean. The pool was small but nice. The work out room was also small but nice. The full hot breakfast was delicious!
first time staying here but it was properly the best best western we have stayed in. just goes to show that you can keep them up if you try. front desk was very helpful and nice to deal with. nice restaurant in front of motel. would highly recommend this motel no problems that i could fine. they do not accept pets and that is good thing as it doesn't have pet smell like most do
Everything was great. Easy check in. Immaculate room. Nice pillows, linens, towels, and breakfast was super. You're our favorite stop between NC and FL. Keep up the good work. Good choice of restaurants nearby is very convenient.
I would not recommend this hotel at all. It is not the quality of a 3 star hotel. Mold was growing all over the wooden surfaces around the room and smelled bad. This amount of growth should have been seen or noticed before our stay.
I stayed for 5 days in this Best Western. During this time housekeeping came to my room once to replace my towels. I had to request towels at the front desk every day. The front desk staff did not explain a reduced housekeeping policy. My door lock malfunctioned and during this time it was difficult to access my room when I needed to. The staff replaced the locks but did not explain that my keys would not work due to the change. The breakfast items in the refrigerator are not replaced daily and by Friday they were low or out of most all of the drinks and yogurt. Overall the front desk staff is not helpful. Customer service is not in their vocabulary. Even when I pointed out my address was entered incorrectly during checkin, they declined to fix the problem.
Hot, yummy breakfasts daily with a great selection of condiments. Breakfast was served until 9:30 a.m., which gave us a chance to sleep in. The first room they put us in smelled like cigarette smoke so we immediately walked out and told the front desk we wanted a new room. The front desk lady was understanding and hooked us up with a room that smelled great. Everyone working here was friendly. Our room was clean and quiet. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Best Western Plus Kingsland.
I don't usually stay at Best Western but this hotel exceeded my expectations. It is a nice convenient hotel right off 95 with lots of food options nearby. The hotel is bright and cheery and exceptionally clean. Staff was friendly and room was comfortable. It is a much more budget friendly choice than most of other hotels in area so it is a great value too! We will definitely stay here again!
They over charged me by $100. Did not use my reward points. The room was damp the toilet ran the door lock broken . The woman who check me in told me she didn't know how or couldn't use my reward points for the room, so she just changed me full price even though she had the reward certificate. I told her get an answer before changing my card. No dice. Now it 3 days still waiting, my credit card company has told me they have not received any credit to my card from them. I have talk to several front desk people all have been very unhelpful. I have called the customer service 800 number, no call back.
We always worry we may make bad decision on hotels when we book them. I must say this place is top notch! Very clean, comfy, and friendly. I will stay here again and advise all friends and family visiting area to stay here! Thank you so much for a lovely stay! The Millers, Illinois
Great location right off the highway, close to many restaurants. Rooms were clean and hotel was well maintained. Only con was that we like air conditioning and like our rooms to be 68-70 during the summer and our unit just wouldn't cool the room to our comfort.
Quiet location and in close proximity to food, fuel and the highway. Check In and Check Out was a breeze. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Although breakfast was limited due to COVID-19, breakfast sandwiches were available for heating in your room and the grab and go bags were convenient. Staff was friendly and helpful. Great value for the money.
My wife and I stopped at the Kingsland Georgia Best Western Plus for a night and were treated to a very nice experience. From the time we entered the hotel we felt relaxed and comfortable after a day of travel. This hotel had decorated the lobby with colorful Valentine's Day items and it was beautiful. Our check in experience was great and Rosie at the lobby desk was wonderful. We would definitely stop at this hotel again!
I felt very safe in my room. The hotel was quiet and I slept very well. The bed was also very comfy. I was not expecting that for a double bed. The shower gets insanely hot! The air conditioner and heater work very well as well. Conveniently located
he hotel was clean and convenient to I-95. Room was comfortable breakfast was acceptable. The bed was a little hard but still comfortable. I would choose a room on the side away from the highway. If you like a dark room though ,this one will be disappointing.
Upon arriving the front exterior & interior was very clean and inviting. Mac was delightful and quick to check me in. Rose was always cheerful and helpful with my requests. Sarah was always there to chat with me in the late hours and assisted with my requests. Breakfast due to COVID was a good choice of items. Babs in housekeeping was very helpful with any needs to supply with the room. LOVED MY STAY!!
We needed a place in Kingsland for a few nights. Emergency trip so definitely underprepared.! But, no problem. Rose was very accommodating and assisted with all needs, directions, food, coffee, checkin ease etc etc.... this review seemed to be the best way I could think to serve this great place as it served my family. Be well. Rooms were clean, nice and certainly up to expectation. Would 100% stay here again. Well done Rose, this Hospitality thing......you get it.
I previously stayed one other time at a Best Western Plus and was very happy. On our drive to Florida we decided to try it in another city and state, and Best Western Plus did not disappoint. The building was welcoming, but the lobby decorated for the holidays showed warmth and care. The safety measure were all in place, and the room was large and beds comfortable. I look forward to continuing to stay at Best Western Plus on our travels.
This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel and will definitely stay here again!! Everyone was so friendly and helpful! The room was very clean, bed was comfortable. Hotel was quite. As I was traveling alone I felt very safe!!
My husband and I were traveling from North Carolina back to Florida and encountered pretty rough driving weather. We booked this hotel last minute, hopped off the interstate and checked in. Start to finish...fantastic!! Great service, SUPERBLY clean, and quiet! Bed was comfy, towels were SO soft, and the price was good especially for a late booking. Definitely recommend!
Clean, orderly, friendly, great location to get in and out of, walking distance to restaurants, a great pool area and such an easy check in and out process. I highly recommend Best Western Plus Kingsland. The price for what I received was awesome! This will be my home away from home when I come visit my granddaughter in the future~
We chose this hotel based on all of the good reviews. We needed a room for one night on our way home from Florida. I will say that the hotel was clean, the front desk staff was friendly, and it is in a good location. The downfall was that it was the worst night of sleep I've ever had. The walls are paper thin. Although there were only maybe 5 cars in the parking lot for the evening, they almost have grouped all guests in the same area. My daughter is a sensitive sleeper, but I can usually sleep through anything. Not this time. It was SOOOO loud. People yelling in the halls, loud conversations from other rooms, and the our neighbor's tv feeling like it was in our room at 3 am. Adding to that, our toilet would spontaneous start running at random intervals. The curtains did not close properly (I tried several times before bed) so we were greeted with lots of light in our room as soon as the sun rose. Even though we got a wonderful rate, I'd never stay here again. I'd rather pay more and actually get some sleep.
We can't handle luggage very well, so they gave us a handicap room. It was on the small size so it was a challenge to stow our gear and get around. The sink was separate from the bathroom and that is a big plus. There were 2 chairs which we like. We had mentioned needing electricity during the night, but there was just one accessible outlet on the wall where the beds were. We had to use an extension cord with 2 outlets to use our CPAPs. The outlet on the desk did not work, but the ones on the desk lamp did. There was no skim milk at breakfast and all the cereal was sweetened. Fresh bananas were brought in while we were there and we appreciated that. The breakfast room was served well by a friendly and efficient person. We appreciate Express check out and convenient parking.
When my Dad passed this facility were so compassionate. They hand held us through the entire visit. The facility is spotless, the breakfast was fresh and plenty of variety. The staff are ALL Pleasant. I will continue to stay here when I'm the area.
Nice hotel in excellent location. Lots of dining choices, many within walking distance. Freshly baked cookies each evening. Great proximity to I95. Courteous helpful staff including office, front desk & housekeeping.
BW had room for us as we needed to stop because of rain and wind. Very courteous, good breakfast offering, great assistance at hospitality. Just wish there were charger jacks in the light fixtures for our phones,
My wife and I spent 4 days in the Kingsland/St. Marys area last month, and had the greatest trip ever because of the wonderful people we met at the hotel. Staff and management were all great, and made our stay a very happy and memorable experience. Most of our interaction was with the housekeeping, front desk, and maintenance staff, but we also talked with the managers on occasion. Everyone was very friendly and kind, and gave us a true Southern Hospitality experience. No one rushed us, they all took time to talk with us like we were old friends. This was our first trip to southeast Georgia. We had questions about good places to eat and things to see. Everyone was helpful and offered their suggestions. We found that in addition to being great people they were knowledgeable tour guides. They told us about the area, where to go, what to see, and the best places to have dinner. Our experience was so great, we are considering retiring in the area. Everywhere we went we met people, and they all were friendly and kind, whether a checkout clerk at Walmart or a waitress at the local barbecue restaurant. This was a 5-start hotel stay without the 5-star price. The room was clean & comfortable, breakfast each morning was great, and they baked cookies for the guests every evening. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to the area. You will find the friendliest and most helpful people there, and we are sure you will have a great experience as well.
We were making a quick trip north and wanted to hop off of 95 near the Interstate. I checked reviews and this seemed like a good place to stop. I would highly recommend this hotel. The room was spotless and quiet. The lobby was already decorated for Valentine's Day giving it a homey feel. The dining area was spotless with a wide array of breakfast choices..and great coffee!
Convenient location with nearby restaurants. Comfortable, clean room. This is our second time staying here because it's a good place to stop while traveling to Florida. We didn't stay for breakfast but it looked like there were plenty of selections.
My husband and I stop here about twice a year as we travel to Florida for a cruise. The hotel is clean; staff is friendly and helpful. Great location for getting on and off I-95 to continue our travels.
The room was large, clean and very comfortable. The lobby had a wonderful fireplace to sit by and warm up. The hotel also had lots of amenities, but we arrived late and were unable to take advantage of them. Breakfast was good with many choices both got and cold.
We stayed for 4 nights. The breakfast was very good and the motel staff very helpful. Only one thing we feel needs addressed is new mattresses or a different brand if they are new. The location is great for us as it is only about 5 minutes from family.
I have stayed at this hotel for several years now...consistently a great value!!! Great location close to restaurants one can walk ... staff always accommodating and very friendly... already planning to stay on my spring trip!!!
We liked the exterior appearance, the decoration of the rooms and the friendliness of the desk clerk when checking in. Good breakfast and overall good overnight stay. We would and will stay here again on our road trips to And from Florida.
We've stopped at this motel for many years and have always enjoyed our stay. The staff have always been friendly and helpful. We like the fact that Angelo's restaurant is right next door and it's easy-on/off I 95. They renovated a few years ago and that was nice too. When we arrived the lobby was beautifully decorated. That's all the good stuff. The problems: the room (117) was incredibly musty smelling, but since I had asked for that room specifically I was loath to request a change. An amateur carpenter had put the finish work in the bathroom. The room is too small for comfort...or maybe just too small for a king bed. The bed was not comfortable and the bedding skimpy. The breakfast was minimal -- the "eggs" looking like 4 inch crepes, sausage that wasn't that good, and potatoes that didn't look tasty at all. There's very limited seating in the breakfast area. So, while it grieves me, since we always enjoyed our stops here and the staff continues to be friendly and helpful, we will probably find another spot for our next stay in Kirkland.
My wife Commented on how the new sign looks like dairy queen.. Well the accommodation matches.. It's OK.. But kinda the moderte low quality. First the room is rather small.. Available technology is limited ( no as in zip zero Nada plugs by the bed so ya gotta plug phone in across the room) Shower pressure is mild, bag pod type cheap coffee maker. The shower handle is loose.. Oh and there is one shelf /towel rack.. Directly above the toilet.. So the John always had a Towel behind you. Breakfast was the usual fare. Sorta waffles, Grey fake sausage, white ish tater tots.. Meh at best. The desk clerk was nice, staff seems intelligent.. It's a place to stay... Kinda like Dairy Queen is a place to eat.
The wife and I always stay here in our way to our Florida home . After driving 13 hours we always look forward to checking in and walking across the street to Applebees for happy hour.I highly recommend this location .
room was very clean breakfast good. lovely place to stay..location was close to main road and highway, it was also very quiet at night...plenty of parking was available. i would advise friendsand family to stay here...and i would stay again
the breakfast area was very small with limited seating (size of a large walk in closet)- ther e also was a strong sea like odor in our bathroom - room was very congested the little room to maneuver- staff was very helpful
This was a great little motel on our way to a cruise out of Jacksonville FL. I had expected it to be nice because it is a BW but it was really nice. The rooms were great and the people friendly. We will stay there again before out next cruise.
Had been a Hampton Inn fan until they started upping thier prices and tried some other chains. Found Best Western to be much lower in price and equal in quality. This particular one was a very good example of that.
This Best Western was in a perfect location surrounded by restaurants, gas stations and drug stores! The hotel was clean and comfortable! All of the staff were friendly and helpful! I would definitely stay here again!!
Stayed here other times and have always been satisfied. My stay this time did not disappoint! The Assistant Manager that checked me in was absolutely lovely and helpful. Walking to my room, a housekeeper greeted me and said if there was anything I needed to let her know. Room was spacious and comfortable. However bathroom a bit small with shower only. Could not find a USB charging port that most hotels now offer. It would definitely help to upgrade plugs or alarm clock to support this. All amenities in room as listed. Plenty of parking. Located right off the highway behind a ChickFilA. Other restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast was plentiful but breakfast area can be cramped for space. Absolutely recommend if you're looking for a good night's rest and superb customer service.
staff was quick and friendly, made sure we knew all the available services-like breakfast and the hours and the hot evening cookies. the beds were neat and very comfortable. hotel is near many restaurants
My wife and I stayed at Thai hotel at the last minute. I was pleasantly surprised how nice the place was. The room was neat a clean. The bed was comfortable. The hotel is right off the interstate. I would stay here again.
Although it was a bit tricky finding this hotel off the exit (chalk that up to us being tired), the hotel is a wonderful value. Our room was bright and clean, and the breakfast area was immaculate. The beds were very comfortable, too.
Stopped here on way to NC from Pembroke Pines Fl. Just stayed one night but hotel was very clean and front desk was very professional and helpful. Breakfast was also good. Room was nice and beds comfortable.
Check-in is always a breeze here and the people are always very kind and friendly. This place is so clean and welcoming. We always enjoy our stay here. The room is very nice and clean. The pool is lovely and a welcome spot in the August heat.
My husband and I had reservations for one night at this Best Western. We found ourselves with car issues and knew we would be stranded and unable to make Kingsland tonight. We were aware of the hotel's 24 hour cancellation policy but hoped we could speak with the manager directly to try and negotiate a credit for a future stay to not fully lose the deposit. The clerk we spoke with said the manager would not speak with us but denied our request. I guess we will be back to staying at Holiday Inn Express from now on as their cancellation policy is far more reasonable. Buyer beware. This was a AAA rate btw.
This was a great stop! Warm cookies in the evening, decent breakfast, comfortable beds made for a great vacation. The pool was a bit small but I'm not complaining since we were the only ones out there. Staff goes out of their way to make sure you have a great stay! Will stay there again next time we're driving through!
I've stayed in a lot of hotels in the last few months and this Best Western Plus is the best of them all. Easy access off of I-95 but the hotel feels off the beaten track as the property is secluded with trees around the perimeter. There is ample clean parking with easy access to the hotel and a very friendly front desk staff that makes you feel like a welcome guest. This hotel also features a nice outdoor pool, clean rooms, comfy bed, microwave and refrig/freezer in room. Very nice fixtures in the bathroom and furnishings in the room. Cookies were served at 6:30 pm. in the lobby and breakfast from 6 - 9:30 in the a.m. Other plusses: walk-in shower, quality complementary toiletries, an exhaust fan in the bathroom, and a fan in the room that can run continuously, if you need some white noise to sleep. In spite of all the amenties, there is a lot of competition in the immediate area, keeping the prices competitive.
+JMJ+ Really enjoyed the fresh baked cookie from 6:30 to 8pm the night we arrived. Lovely hotel! Rosemary at the desk was friendly and professional. Breakfast was beautifully laid out and everything was there! Location was very good with nice restaurant near by-Chick Filet and a great Italian restaurant right behind the hotel. Would stay here anytime passing through to Savannah.
I just stayed at this hotel and for some unknown reason the booking company I used did not get my reservation correct. Shakelah was working the front desk and went over and above the call of duty to make sure everything got worked out. She was friendly, respectful, and was just wonderful. After traveling for 10 hours, it just made our day to have someone show so much kindness and support. Shakelah should be a trainer for amazing professionalism. To the management of this hotel, you have a shining star!!!!
My family and I came from Florida and stayed in the Best Western in Kingsland Ga. We are very pleased with the friendly staff, continental breakfast, amenities, and the comfortable bed. I will definitely be back the next time we visit.
good Hotel, large rooms, clean and excellent Price. I can recommend this Hotel to everyone looking for a short stop on the way from Florida to Georgia. The breakfast was not our style, typically american with to much Sweets and only toast but for a complimentary breakfast it's definately Ok.
Stopped for the night enroute from VA to FL. Clean hotel, nice amenities. We'll use this hotel again when we're in the area. Decent breakfast included in a very competitive price made this hotel a winner! Easy access to a variety of other restaurants also.
Awesome hotel great room awesome staff great food and amenities breakfast was delicious checkin was fast and friendly. My room was so comfortable I didnt want to leave. The shower was so relaxing. I loved my stay.
I always stop half way from NC to FL. I usually stay in Savannah, but stayed here instead and it was very nice for a Best Western, honestly surprised. The breakfast was much better than the usual free ones at any hotel. Reminded me of Europe.
This was a very difficult day, so didn't expect too much. Surprise, this is a lovely hotel. From Rosemary, who checked me in, and was terrific, the whole experience was great. First, if you let/show your registration at local restaurant you get 10% off your dinner ....I had a great Salmon dinner at Applebee's....only a short walk from the hotel. Room came with all the amenities, fridge, freezer, coffee, and comfortable. For the price, you can't beat it. I take this route thru Kingsfield GA. a few times a year...this is the first time I stayed here, at Best Western, and it definitely will be my go to place.
There are many choices at this stop off rt.95. We seek this specific hotel as we travel to and from Florida. Comfortable, clean, and very convenient. Well trained staff was very helpful. I was traveling in a wheelchair and found this hotel very accommodating.
The room was very clean. Beds were comfortable. Complementary Breakfast was Great! So many choices and something for everyone. Hotel staff were very nice and helpful. Check in and out very fast and easy. My boys loved the pool! Will stay again.
Don't bother asking to use the meeting room for a couple hours in the evening. They'll charge you $150/hour. Hotel does not change the sheets as they claim. I had to ask to have it done and I was there over a week.
very friendly and courteous employees owner was there and was interacting with guests made all of us and other guests feel very welcome the room was excellent breakfast was great we are looking forward for a return trip to this location
Greeted with friendly front office followed by great amenities like a fitness center and warm cookies. Hotel room was clean and well equipped with everything we needed. Room was also secure and enjoyed the free breakfast in the morning! Definitely recommend!
We were traveling on i95 to Florida. We have stayed at this Best Western before and it was perfectly nice. Staff was pleasant and friendly. We will stay here again if our travels takes us in this area. Close to interstate and restaurants.
After a long day it was nice to be greeted by great staff & fresh cookies! Then enjoy a clean room & refreshing pool. Stayed for multiple days with nothing but great service. Highly recommend this hotel when staying in the Kingsland area!
We, a group of over 40 students and parents, stayed the night here after a very grueling, long day on Cumberland Island. Shekila, the young lady working the front desk, was so incredibly nice and accommodating and not annoyed by the mass of kids. She made lots of cookies for us, and even provided some first aid supplies for some little injuries from the day. She just had a great, sweet attitude. Likewise, Sheila, the young lady in her place the next morning, was wonderful to us all. She happily provided toothbrushes to the kids who forgot theirs, and offered other toiletries as well. Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff made sure we had plenty of breakfast the next morning before setting off for another long day. Really couldn't have asked for a more pleasant stay.
The best way to start a weeklong vacation after a 7 hour drive-NOT! We were tired and turned in very early. Unfortunately the group of young males who came in about 7 PM did not plan to enjoy the same. They began yelling and running through the halls almost immediately and carousing in the rooms and outside in the parking area did not cease until after 12 AM. I lodged my complaint at 10:30 PM only to be informed that maintenance had already informed them to keep it down. Apparently that made no impression upon the young adults who apparently were going to drink the night away no matter what request was made by the staff. I informed the manager, Stephanie, the next morning and she told me the best she could do was take $10 off my bill and put 1000 pts in my account. Although Stephanie insisted she was doing me a favor and that the points were worth $100 (not so) I will not be able to use those points towards another stay until I earn many thousands more! A room at this hotel costs 20000 points which makes each point worth less than a penny. A really poor deal for starting a vacation with a sleep deficit. Corporate should hear from me soon.
Our second time at this hotel. First visit was fine. Again this year, booked second floor room with king bed, 10 months prior, at full price. We don't like first floor at pet friendly hotels as these rooms go to pet owners. Arrived at 3:30 to a mostly vacant parking lot. I handed Josh my Choice Hotels card instead of my Best Western card by mistake. Tired after long drive - had a senior's moment. His attitude became condescending. Kept repeating that he could not believe that I actually showed him the Choice card! Checked the computer and told us that out room was not available! I told him that we had booked a long time ago and that we were here early. He said "We are almost fully booked". So he put us on 1st floor. Later on, the other person (young lady) at the front desk told him that the room he was giving us was already booked. He said...."Oh, that's OK, I've switched them." Really! So why couldn't you switch us to the room we wanted! Fearing he would purposely mess up my bill, regretfully, I did not push it. He reminds me of an old fashioned, lying, used car salesman. BW sent automatic email asking about our stay. I voiced the complaint to them 6 weeks ago. Never heard back from anyone. Can't wait to see what the manager comes up with when she/he sees the review online. Room was very dark and dingy. The toilet seat was all blistered - just plain gnarly - long overdue for replacement. Then found hair under the seat :( Carpet was worn. Very disappointed in the room.
Hotel was amazingly clean all staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean, no musty odors like mildew or dirt. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was delicious had a variety of items to select from. Checkout and check in was a breeze. The area has plenty of restaurants to choose from. There is also a wal-mart,winn dixie and other stores to choose from. Great hotel will definitely return.
Money well spent ! Staff was warm and helpful . Facility was clean and neat ! breakfast was better than most . person preparing breakfast was awesome ! I will make sure that I stay here again , we make 2 trips a year to new engalnd.
I recently came to kingsland to stay at this hotel and came in around two in the morning there was a lady that night (Sarah) who seemed to be training a young mad I couldnt read his nametag. But I was told that night that I couldn't pay cash and they would take it in the morning so my card was charged and I wanted to pay cash for my stay. Ive never seen anything or heard anything like this and its unacceptable. I would never stay here again until this hotel changes its policies.
Great hotel. Well-lighted inside and out. Loved having the extra lighting in the room. The hallways were brght. So many hotel hallways look so dingy and dark. Appreciated the light! Stayed there twice now. A little expensive, but very nice.
The hotel is conveniently located off of I-95. There are plenty of restaurants, supermarkets and gas stations to choose from. The hotel and grounds are spotless. The rooms are stylish and comfy. We had a great night's sleep. The rooms contain a fridge and microwave. The TV quality and variety of channels was quite good. The internet worked well. The hot breakfast and coffee hit the spot. Rosemarie at the front desk was friendly and welcoming. She checked us in quickly and efficiently. She also gave us some great tips about the area for eating and shopping. We look forward to visiting again when en route to Florida.
We needed an overnight stay, traveling from VA to FL. We found them on the Travel Coupon APP. Called, got the room at a discounted rate and check-in was quick and easy. Staff are very helpful, professional and friendly! The hotel has 2 floors, inside doors and an elevator. The room was much more than we expected, sparkling clean, fresh and nicely appointed. The beds comfortable and we had a good nights sleep. Breakfast is provided, and has all the usual hotel breakfast items. It did include fresh scrambled eggs and bacon, all hot and very good. The breakfast area was keep clean the whole time. Kingsland has a number of lodging selections, we picked the perfect one for us. Thanks BWP-Kingsland!
We were traveling back home to Florida and needed a stop over. Busy Spring break, but called from the highway and was able to reserve a room. We arrived and were greeted at the front desk, both people were very friendly. We checked in and were invited to come for hot cookies, hot chocolate and coffee at 6:30. We took our stuff and dropped it in the room. My husband was overjoyed with the hot chocolate chip cookies. After traveling all day, it was a surprising treat. Our king bed was super comfortable and the room was nice and clean. Had breakfast the next morning, scrambled eggs, bacon, cereal, toast. Also can make your own pancakes. Nice place for our next stop over.
First of all, we were greeted by a friendly young man behind the desk. Once in our room I noticed two things: ONE tiny trash can in the whole room & no bathtub-only shower. I was tired & wanted a hot bath. Sigh. The room was large enough although it felt like the layout & design of room was a little awkward. It was as nice and clean though. Oh, and it was one of those rooms with few electrical outlets. I rested comfortably. Bed and pillows were very good. But, honestly, i would prob choose a different hotel if I had a do-over.
Great location, excellent pricing, and amazing service that makes you feel valued. They took the time to coordinate setting me up with the best room for my 3 week stay and really had to do some critical thinking on it to make it happen. I ended up with a King size for my entire stay versus 2 doubles. All of this was due to Joshua as he took my initial phone call and made things happen. I'll be back again and staying here!
We checked in on March 21/19.....very easy check in......Staff were very friendly.....room was very spacious and super clean!!! It's very easy to get at....just off the I-95......I can't say anything negative about this place!
This hotel/motel was a good central location to operate in searching for a possible purchase of a new home in the area. The lodging at the Best Western is perfect because the rates were reasonable and the great assistance given by the check-in personnel. Joshua was very helpful in answering any question I had concerning the area, restaurants. He was very personable and helpful taking time to make my stay even more enjoyable. The property is very clean and I particularly loved the shower and how clean the rooms are maintained. I would certainly recommend this property for anyone who wants a great nights stay and the added benefit of Joshua and all that he offers.
This hotel I recommend if you need an overnight after a day's driving. Although it is an old property, it has been remodeled to present a clean, contemporary hotel. Our room was spacious, bed comfortable, large TV, free wifi and room access is inside. In the evening they have fresh baked cookies and coffee in the lobby. Breakfast is the usual continental breakfast items any traveler is familiar with, and a couple of hot items are included. They had a pancake machine I had never seen before and it would make two fresh pancakes at a time. I liked them. We will stay here again.
Stopped in this hotel for a week long business trip. This was one of the best hotel stays that i have had in a long time. The hotel was very clean inside and out. Room was clean and was happy to see that. Many smiling faces through out the hotel. You can tell the employees truly love their job and ownership takes care of them. I highly recommend this hotel if you are traveling to the Kingsland, Brunswick are.
If you're in this area, this is a great place to stay. I had come into town with my father to look around for the day. We were getting tired and hungry so we decided to stay for the night. Upon checking in, the man at the front desk was very helpful. He saw that I was rewards customer and saw that I had accumulated more than enough points to redeem them for a free night's stay. He even patiently waited for me to go online and check in/redeem them online. What more could you ask for?
Had a wonderful sleep after poor accommodations from another hotel the night before. The room was clean. Shower was hot and ample towels. The bed as well as the pillows we're perfect and the service was great.
Dear Sir, I used to sleep in Kingsland whenever I had a work at Brunswick, GA. Normally through third party as like a Hotels.com. But today(Feb. 15th 8pm), I called BW Kingsland directly and made a reservation and a staff kindly made a book a room for me and confirmed that I can use it today at BW Kingsland. Of course, Reservation money was taken out from my credit card. But When I arrived at BW Kingsland at midnight, a woman staff said to me there was no room for me and can not find a any reservation for under my name. I asked her about 10 times “would you please confirm my reservation by using my e-mail address “She said the same word “there was no room for me.” Good bye. What is this at Midnight. How can I sure and trust BW booking system. As Phone conversation with a staff, reservation was confirmed very detailed as like he said 139.?? after tax for the room just a 4 hours ago. But actually when I arrived at hotel another staff can not find my reservation. So that I had my finally decision, I should use third party to book a room.
Joshua check us in. Very accommodating. Manager Stephanie was there in AM, friendly and she was helping at the desk and in breakfast room. Everything was great. Very quiet, clean rooms, good warm cookies!
We stay at this location twice a year when traveling from NC to FL. The hotel is very clean and easily accessible from the Interstate. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean. The complimentary continental breakfast is very good. Lots of choices to choose from and all items are fresh and hot. The coffee is delicious. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling through the area.
Great place to stay! Located conveniently off of I-95 and easy to find. I arrived rather late but was quickly and warmly greeted at the front desk. Joshua was quick to check me in and even offered some freshly baked cookies! The room was clean and inviting. All the amenities I needed where available. Slept comfortably and enjoyed a hot breakfast the next morning. Recommended for sure!!
This is our “go to” place of lodging on our way to Florida. The first time we stayed was a take a chance choice. What a great choice it was. We have now stayed there at least four or five times. The service and hospitality remain excellent.
We were in town looking for a house to buy and ended up staying longer then anticipated.Everyone was very friendly, helpful and kind. The breakfast was good and they even had fresh cookies in the evening. Internet was a little slow and they really need to replace the mattresses and pillows but that is the only complaint. The room was clean and if you needed extra towels no ptroblem. The price of the room was great.
I reserved a king room on the phone when I couldn't get the app to accept either of my credit cards because the number didn't fit the brand. When we arrived we saw a large vehicle parking in a handicapped spot. We really hate this as people with a handicap need those spots. I checked for decals or hang tags but there were none. When we entered the hotel we saw the occupants clustered around computer equipment behind the desk. They could have easily used one of the other parking spaces! There were two people ahead of us at the desk. One woman was working it and there were now 4 people around the printer. There was a lot of back and forth from the desk clerk and she finally checked the first guest in. The second person wanted to know rates and she was very helpful about telling him what was available and that he could get a better rate with a coupon from the nearby Welcome Center. When I checked in, she took my license, credit card, and AARP card to copy them. When I was concerned about this, she told me that I could get those copies when I checked out. After we were checked in, someone had to go up and see if our room was ready. It was not. The clerk said she would find us a room that was ready and gave us different keys. There were now a lot of people waiting at the desk and only one available to help them. Unfortunately, the room had two beds not one and they were not very large. Since nearly every room in the hall was open and still being cleaned (4:30) and there was a line of about 1/2 dozen people at the desk, we decided just to keep this room. It was fine except for the beds. There was a nice, modern bathroom, fridge with freezer, and microwave. There was no charging outlet between the beds nor a luggage rack. After 9pm, we got a phone call asking for someone. Not us. As soon as I hung up we got another call and the desk clerk identified herself as wanting to know our last name for their records. Meanwhile, someone who had obviously been given the same room was talking loudly outside our room and saying how screwed up everything was. It was! But she didn't get woken up. I did! Breakfast was mediocre as most hotel breakfasts are if you do not eat wheat. I was able to get my copies when I left though thankfully, no copy of the credit card had been made (or had disappeared).
Had bed bugs in my guys room. My guys HAD bites all over and even caught a couple of the bugs and took them to the front desk. Hotel did not want to do anything at first then helped a little. The manager and owner said they would take care of us. I spent over $2000 at this hotel for 3 rooms for week and he gave us $20 off our bill. That was a slap in the face. I also talked to someone else that stayed there and they said that hotel has a bug problem. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL.
My family and I were moving from Florida to Virginia. After becoming sleepy I stopped at a Hampton Inn in kingsland but they were unable to accommodate me and recommended the best Western. The front desk agent was extremely kind and accommodating. After we rested for a few hours and continue. travels. This was a walk in booking but I would stay at this location again because of the clean facility and hospitable staff.
Clean and attractive, conveniently located next to two restaurants (Applebee's and Angelo's). Everything's fine...except the alarm clocks. Several were going off in other rooms and they're loud. Luckily they ceased well before bedtime. While they were ringing I complained to the front desk and they couldn't do anything about them. I hope they're replaced (alarm clocks not front desk staff).
Clean Hotel, Friendly Staff, Close To A Lot Of places to eat. I was there for a conference and they allowed me to check in early without charge. I NEEDED that! The breakfast was very good & the beds were comfy. It's a great place to stay for an affordable rate.
Outside was very clean and well lit. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lobby and breakfast area clean. Room was very nice, very clean. Bathroom was clean. Bed was awesome!! It was very quiet, which is a nice plus for me.
Every time my family and I go north, we stay here. The staff go out of their way to make you feel at home. Very good value for your money. We have stayed several times before and have always been impressed with the rooms, the staff, and the service that we always get.
Have stopped at this hotel a few times now on the way to Florida. Stopped again on Nov 4th...it never disappoints. The rooms are big, clean and the staff are superb. Breakfast is very good...love the pancake machine. Location is convenient to I95, food (Dominos and Chick-fil-a right out front) and gas. Rosemarie at the front desk is a real gem....very warm and welcoming.
We arrived at the hotel and were greeted by a friendly desk clerk. She looked up our record and immediately gave us 2 bottles of ice cold water. Once we were checked in, we went up to our room. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I will say the room was little bit smaller than we expected. The sink was outside of the room with the shower and toilet. And that room was tight as the door blocked the shower when you opened it. Also, the shower was a walk in model with a bench. If you expect to take a bath, this room would not work for you. Otherwise, the shower was great. Good pressure and adjustable shower head. Breakfast was your basic options, which included bacon, English muffins, cereals, and a choice of beverages. They also had egg omelets which I'm guessing are the basic premades with american cheese.
My husband and I enjoyed the hotel a lot. The check in was easy and the woman told us to come back down at 6:30 pm for cookies and fresh coffee. I thought that was really nice of her to do. The lobby is charming. Very Southern and breakfast was more than enough. The breakfast room was spotless as a very pleasant woman kept coming in and cleaning the tables and area. The room was ample and charming too. The shower was a walk in which I appreciated. The queen beds were very comfy and the TV was BIG AND A LOT OF STATIONS TOO. We would definitely stay here again-every single person we came in contact with was pleasant. It was a great stop as we headed into Florida, with several gas stations to fill up and easy access to 95.
Have been staying at this Best Western several times now and will continue to do so even though there are many other hotels within the general area. Just want to say" SAY OUT" of room #201...that room should be made into a closet or storage. It is not fit for guests. Why you ask, the night I was enjoying solitude, there just happen to be a couple that got off the elevator drunk, yelling out "Anybody want pizza ?..not the hotels fault, and of course there happen to be 2 dozen or so, High School girls the same night running up and or down the stairs several times, again, not the hotels fault. Room #201 is right smack in the intersection of the hallway stairs and elevator..NOT A GOOD ROOM. BUT, I SHALL RETURN.
Love staying here. It is close to getting to Disney. There as great places close by for eating Dinner. Love that we can comeback and have warm chocolate chip cookies for dessert. Love the fast checkout. Did get my receipt in my E-mail the same day,
Found on Priceline, but referenced Standard Room. Before I booked, I called the hotel to inquire about Stand Rooms versus King. Clerk told me there were 3 Kings left and that we could get one. I booked the room on Priceline and arrived 21 minutes later. Sharnice, front desk clerk, told me they had no King rooms. I asked who I spoke with 21 minutes ago and she claimed the girl in the back. She then put us in a double queen, since I couldn't cancel give I we pre-paid. However, the room is double beds - not queens. I called the same number I called about 30 minutes before and Sharnice answered. She'd to speak to the other clerk, but she is now gone! Sharnice didn't know who she was, she had no idea of the other employees name. I asked for the manager and she told me she would have her call me. 10 minutes later, Sharnice called and said the manager couldn't call me back until Monday. But they had dropped a goodie bag off at our door (not sure who because she is the only one apparently working) to make up for the hassles. However, no goodie bag ever arrived. This hotel is average in condition. I would AVOID at all costs, they simple don't understand customer service and they can't admit a mistake (they just lie about everything). It's not worth the hassle!!! There are a bunch of other quality options at the same exit.
Very clean hotel. Friendly staff. The pool was clean and refreshing. To add a little extra, they bake fresh cookies every evening. The breakfast was decent (good enough for the price...). Overall a very positive stay.
New front desk young lady was great, quite, good night sleep, nice looking hotel. Almost average price, could have been a little cheaper for a Sunday evening. Location was nice, easy to get to off highway. several food choices around also.
I booked a large group from my company at this property recently. The manager was particularly helpful and anxious to make sure that everything went smoothly with our check-in, check out and overall stay. Rooms are clean and quiet. I felt that we definitely got what we paid for - probably a little more than we paid for. The property is located near the highway, and therefor near a handful of your standard highway-fare restaurants.
Made reservation due to hurricane Florence evacuation. No price gouging!!! Room was ready with a guaranteed late arrival. Check in was quick and front desk was helpful with dining recommendations. Room was clean and quiet. New mattress was very comfortable. The entire staff were extremely courteous and helpful. Will stay here again when traveling to Fla.
The hotel is always friendly and well staffed with courteous and friendly folks. The rooms are kept wonderfully clean and attention to details is awesome. Breakfast is always delicious and kept clean and full. 24 hour coffee is greatly appreciated too!
Friendly staff from time of check-in to check-out. Clean, comfortable, and quiet rooms, Away from the noise of the Hy-way and no truck stop noise. Safe parking lot with a easy walk to several places to eat. Good high speed Wi-Fi.Hotel breakfast had something for everyone, hot or cold, much the standard fair today. Love the chocolate cookies at check-in.
My stay at this hotel was Great! Even though the rooms were great the staff was super awesome! They went above and beyond to make sure that everything was in order and I was fully satisfied. AWESOME TEAM!!!
Have stayed here before while visiting family in the area and have always had great stays. The staff is friendly and the rooms are clean. Would stay here again when visiting family in the area. The warm cookies throughout the day are a nice touch.
My mom and I stayed one night and this is by far one of the best hotel stays I've had. My mom is disabled so having an accessible room is important. The rooms have large buttons on the outside and inside that when pressed keep the door open to enable a slower moving disabled person plenty of time to get in and out of the room. Slip resistant shower floor and grab bars in the bathroom were a big help. The hotel colors are bright and inviting. Large fridge and good closet. Rooms are not huge but comfy. Friendly and courteous staff. I will stay again. Also honored my AARP discount card. Free breakfast.
This is a really nice Best Western the staff was so great. The breakfast was very good. Had a decent pool. Room was clean and had everything we needed. Very easy ride to St Marys if going to Cumberland Island.
We've been here for two nights so far, another three possibly to come.... My wife slept for 7 1/2 hours, did not wake up one time our first night here... this is the first time in 9 years she has had such a restful sleep ! Great move on getting new mattresses B/W !!! The staff here are very polite & will great you with a smile ??
The staff was exceptional. Rooms were clean and quiet. Food and coffee was good. The water not so much. Double shout out to the staff who were very friendly and perhaps one of the best I have experienced in all my travels.
Ample and safe, well-lite parking: we were towing a 20 ft trailer. Staff: extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Room: king bed w/ comfortable mattress and clean sheets, vanity and bathroom nicely updated, clean towels, room was also updated with crown molding, large fridge w/ actual freezer, microwave, and plenty of seating and storage. Breakfast included: warm and cold options Many food options within walking distance from hotel. Its was also easy to find from I-95
Got late and needed to get some sleep for the night on our way South. The customer service was excellent, the room was clean, and the room suited our needs. As we left the hotel, the owner even took the luggage cart back for us. I would stay here again.
Young lady at registration desk was very cordial and personable. Check in was quick. Lobbies, hallways, and rooms look nice and are clean. Beds are comfortable. Family friendly. Great place to stay and at a reasonable price.
We were passing by kingsland while traveling back to Virginia from our vacation in Florida there were lots of hotels to pick from but we were happy to find this one and lisa at the front desk is the best! Thanks
Hotel is located in a prime spot just off I-95. There are several places to eat nearby and gas stations to fill up before moving onto the next leg of your journey. Check in was smooth and we had a room on the first floor located near the back of the hotel which allowed us to avoid the long walk down the hallway. Our room could use an update on the décor, but otherwise all was perfect. Super comfortable king bed with plenty of space in the room. Shower/bathroom area was clean and functional. Plenty of on site parking and the hotel is well lit on all sides including the rear where we parked. A full breakfast was provided that included scrambled eggs, sausage patties, biscuits and gravy, fresh fruit, pastries and bread. There was also a pancake maker that was easy to use. Juices, milk, and coffee as well. Overall, this was a great overnight stay. Affordable and convenient to I-95 and area dining/attractions.
The place was fine, clean, etc., but honestly, the decor and the look is very dated. Also, weirdest check-in. It was after-hours, around 11:15pm, so I had to use the side window. I had reservations and am a member. The lady talked to me through this blind, through the slits in it. I felt like I was checking into a cathouse. Why wouldn't she open the blind? Very weird. Also, to "thank me for being a member" she passed through the little opening a TINY BAG OF CHEEZ-IT. CheezIt?????/ What on earth? It was bizarre. I passed them back to her through the hole. In her defense, I did ask her for a bottle of water, and she gave it to me. Room was fine - old fashioned colors and the bed was average. Something about it just looked old (I think it's the colors - nothing looked modern). Breakfast was okay; they did have this cool pancake maker, which I had never seen before. No fresh oatmeal (oh well) but the cooler did say that they had non-dairy items and we just had to ask. I did ask, but the ladies on the staff didn't seem to know what I was talking about. I was disappointed that this had such high ratings and that I didn't just go right next door to the Country Inn and Suites. While it wasn't a bad visit by any means, I wouldn't stay at a Best Western again.
One of the cleanest and friendliest hotels I've stayed in in years. Great location. Staff was very helpful in providing an outstanding choice for dinner, minutes from the hotel. Very safe location, especially elderly or traveling with children. Third time we have stayed at this location. Honestly can't wait till we pass through Kingsland again!!
The Kingsland. Georgia hotel offers a convenient location and has a great staff. The room decor was a little dated and worn but it was clean. The toilet was slow to flush and eventually did not flush fully. I reported to the desk and it was fixed upon my return that evening.
Great place to stay. Very quiet, very comfortable beds and pillows. Great breakfast, best stay all around. Had a handicap room, lots of room, shower was amazing and electric door helped entering room with baggage.
Everything was good. Enjoyed our stay. People were friendly. Girl vat front desk help me find a Krystal and Dunkin donuts place. They were convenient for eating later in the day. Lots of places to go out to eat also.
Excellent hotel with friendly and courteous staff will to help you in any way. Easy on and off highway. Plenty of restaurant within area. Room, staff, breakfast exceeded expectations. The warm chocolate Chip cookies with selection of coffees and teas at check in was a plus. Will return if we get down that way again.
We decided to stay at this hotel on our way to our family vacation . Thank God it was only one night. I had to ask for new bed linens for there were multiple hairs. No one answered at the front desk , so I decided to walk there. Mika gave me new bed linens so that she could change it when her Mgr. came in . Mind you I had stripped the bed for her . Went to dinner, came back and nothing was done she said her Mgr. Melissa should be back anytime. Waited and called again. There are 2 phones in the room, I don't know what for , because the front desk does not answer. So guess who made the bed...ME! I had told her that the ones I stripped were out our door, for I was not bringing them to the front desk ,in front of their other customers . They stayed there all night into the morning. I was promised a credit, and had to call multiple times, plus my dtr. got charged 3x. Made a call to corporate after being told that she couldn't do anymore, (other front desk clerk) , so that I did .....also being promised they would email me with the new bill showing a credit, which they took down wrong after I had repeated it , and no phone call that was promised. Corporate was so professional and nice to talk to. William and Patrick, thank you for listening and helping us. If your smart, you will stay away from this hotel!!!!
We had booked an overnight stay with this hotel because of a good experience we had experienced several years ago. The reservation was for April 6, 2018, our 33rd wedding anniversary. We were scheduled to leave on a cruise the next day out of Jacksonville. After driving around 9 hours and 600 miles we arrived, exhausted and found that the reservation had been scheduled for April 7! They looked at us as though it was OUR fault! They told us that there were no double bed rooms left and that all they could offer us was a single king room for considerably more money. Since our adult son was with us also, that was a completely ridiculous offer. They made NO effort to help us resolve our situation. They did not check for availability of rooms at any neighboring hotels. Staff at ANOTHER hotel did help us to find a room at a competitor. I had to call the 800 number for Best Western to cancel the STUPID reservation for the 7th. The staff at this hotel handled our situation in an incompetent and very uncaring manner. We will NEVER book here again and will give serious consideration to never booking at ANY Best Western.
We were traveling late and booked our room via internet using rewards points. As we arrived late, the desk clerk was very courteous and professional. Our accommodations were ready as ordered. Check-in was quick and easy. The hotel facility was well maintained and our room was very clean and comfortable. We did enjoy the breakfast as the selection was very good. However, we thought the quality of the eggs and bacon could be better. I am not a fan of Canadian bacon. But everything else was fresh and well stocked. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend the facility. The staff was very accommodaing.
Clean, comfortable quiet and friendly. Inernet could be better, breakfast area cramped if more than two people in the food area. Plenty of restaurants lose by with a few in walking distance. Woul stay here again.
While traveling with much anxiety over an ailing parent back home, we realized we did not have a room at an inn and we were very tired! We called about 3pm and they were very busy with folks checking in for the night. True to her word, Micah, called us back as soon as she had time having promised not to give away the room before we got the reservation secured. We were very appreciative. By the time we arrived and checked in the hotel had no vacancies remaining. Thanks Micah for calling us back as we traveled toward Kingsland.
We travel often between New Jersey and Florida and this has become our regular overnight stop. It is very convenient and the property is always clean and comfortable. As soon as we plan our next trip I will reserve here.
Great hotel convenient to restaurants & the interstate. Nice rooms. Staff was very friendly. Room was nice and was all we needed in a handicap accessible room. Breakfast was the usual fare-eggs, danishes, bagels, etc.
Very nice place to stay. Very friendly staff and excellent facilities make this one of our stops going to and coming from our Florida trips. Lot of places to pick from to choose a good place to eat. Our favorite is the Cracker Barrel.
Stayed here with my husband and 2 kids during spring break while we were visiting okefenokee. The room was very clean, but a little on the small side. Front desk staff was friendly at check in, but we called the desk several times during our stay and never got an answer. We simply needed towels because our reservation clearly stated there would be 4 of us, but we only had 3 towels. Not a major issue, just odd that no one ever answered the phone. Breakfast was fine. Nothing special, but plenty for us.
We stayed at this best Western for two nights. Everything was great except for the Internet which is really important these days. It was very weak in room 115 which was at the end of the hall and I kept losing it. The room was fine , Everything was very clean, it was an attractive hotel, and the breakfast choices were plentiful and very good. They just need to improve their Internet delivery system for the far away rooms.
The best thing about this hotel was that it was right off I-95, which made it a good spot for us while on our trip home. We waited about 10 minutes for someone to come and check us in, there was only a note up saying; be back soon. Someone finally came and was nice but kept doing other things while checking me in which caused a longer wait. The hotel was an older hotel and you could see lots of signs of that. Our room had a fridge, t.v., comfy chair and instead of a closet a wardrobe. The sheets and towels were both clean and for the most part the room was clean. There was some hair in the shower, but I assume it was caught up in the shower curtain and just missed by the housekeeper. Our room was on the first floor, therefore every time someone took a shower or flushed the toilet above us we heard it. The bed was comfortable and the internet was good. They offered chocolate chip cookies for a snack around 6 and they also had breakfast that was included. They had eggs and sausage or bacon, fruit, some bread choices, pancakes, yogurt and cereal. It really wasn't that good. There were places to eat around there, we ate at Applebees and I had a steak and potato. The steak was so tough I couldn't eat it and the potato raw. Could have just been a bad day for them. There were some other choices of hotels in this same area and if I had it to do over, I would pick one of those.
Stayed here on our way from Florida to Charleston. Hotel is conveniently located near I-95 and next to many other hotels and restaurants. Outside appearance well kept with ample parking. Greeted by very lovely and hospitable staff. I booked our room on Best Western's website, however, when we arrived, they did not have it in their system. Luckily, I was able to show them my confirmation email and they gave me the same room/rate. They desk manager (I cannot remember her name) made it a point to look further into it so I wouldn't get double charged. She was lovely! Rooms were spacious and clean. Had the 2 double beds, which were a little soft for my personal taste, but still provided a good night sleep. Cookies in the p.m. were yummy and breakfast in the a.m. was fresh. Rooms come with coffee makers, hair dryer, ironing board, refrigerator and microwave. Bathroom has the vanity outside with one sink and separate area with toilet and walk in shower. Soap/shampoo dispenser in shower are eco friendly. We liked it so much that we booked a room for our return part of the trip and were met with the same smiling face! We stayed on the 2nd floor the first time and the 1st floor on the return. Rooms were about the same, except you definitely could hear tromping around upstairs. Walls were also a bit thin, but I put in some earbuds and fell asleep. I also found the water pressure to be good, but the water temperature on our first stay (2nd floor) was not as hot as we like. Oddly enough, didn't have this issue when we stayed on the first floor. All rooms are accessed inside, so we always felt safe. Overall, I would recommend this as a place to stay and will be a repeat customer next time I'm through the area.
...not the best against other hotels. We expected more when we read that this is an upscale Best Western. The place looked and smelled old. We first were assigned a room and when we entered it someone's luggage was on the bed. We quickly exited it and were given another room that was all the way down the end of a long hallway. We reserved this hotel on the way to Florida and back again. The trip back north we were getting dressed to leave the next morning and had a DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door and the housekeeper knocked. She said she was notified that we had checked out. Duh we were still there. Also we had a terrible smell in the bathroom in the room we had on the way home. We think it came from the shower drain. Now we are both AARPers and still get around pretty good. So after chugging the luggage to the room we discovered they gave us a handicap bathroom. Why is a handicap room so far away? The breakfast was ok but small and crowded. The pastries and bagel were the smallest ones I've ever seen. However they had a fresh pancake maker! I didn't have them but the couple next to us did and said they were good. The hotel is nicely located next to the exit of I95 and is located next to Applebee's and Angelo's Pizza. We ate at both of them and they were better than average. Since the price was cheaper than Hampton Inn I gave this an average score. But as you can see it was not worth the savings. Spend a little more.
Clean and very comfortable rooms that were also quiet. Made the perfect stop for long interstate travel. Breakfast included and had cold cereal, yogurt, instant grits/oatmeal, fruit and a pancake Maxine that made fresh as needed pancakes.
POSITIVES: We were given 3 rooms side by side to start. The rooms were comfortable and quiet. The HVAC was quite as well. They have a large shower rather than a tub, with a good shower head and good water pressure. The mattress was comfortable and breakfast was included. There is plenty of well lit parking and a secure entrance on both ends. NEGATIVES: The curtains are a bit short and the daylight from the parking lot is with you all night. They had internet but forgot to ask and it was not offered. Breakfast was typical but was not restocked often. Lobby and in room coffee was a bit so so. OVERALL: I thought the good far exceeded the not so good. The positives won in my book.
We stay at this hotel at least 4 to 5 times a year on the way to Disney and they have never disappointed us. The staff is so friendly friendly and they go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and enjoy your stay. The breakfast is hot and very good. Great place to stay!
This is a nice property with a professional and caring staff. Rooms are clean and well apointed. HBO and Cinemax are included. Workout room has fairly new and we'll cared for equipment. Each night they made chocolate chip cookies! If your TDY in kingsland this is a fine facility within walking distance to a couple of restaurants. Good value.
One night stay. Terrific price/value. Probably the nicest Best Westerns we have stayed in. Lots of parking. Nice lobby. Friendliest staff (including front desk, breakfast staff to room attendants) that we have run into. This hotel is clean, updated, bright & welcoming. Even though I arrived at 9:30am for breakfast, I was offered a full hot meal of lightly scrambled eggs, sausage, a variety of breads & juices in the bright, sunny breakfast room. There is even crown molding in the guest rooms. Bravo, Kingsland Team. Highly recommend!
Driving from Pittsburgh to Kingsland for the Daytona 500, was hoping this hotel would be cozy enough for a solid nights sleep. Based on others' reviews, I decided to stay here. I walked in and the front desk area was clean, bright, and whoever was working the desk around 10:30 was super friendly, not just to myself, but to travelers trying to find a room that came in behind me. The room itself was a double, plenty of space for my friend and myself. The beds were SUPER comfortable, and the thermostat easily accessed on the wall, not the floor unit. The room was clean, and its always a boost when you get the complimentary water and snacks. The only thing wrong was a lack of water pressure in the shower, but that's always hit or miss. Just a longer shower haha. Overall, the hotel was great, I would definitely stay here if I am back in the area. Friendly staff, and a decent hot breakfast to start your day. If you're traveling to Daytona, its only 1 hour 45 minutes from the Speedway, and a good alternative to paying out the nose for a hotel near the track! 5 stars, A+, thank you! :)
The location off the highway was very convenient. Plus, it was close to restaurants----as in walkable close. Our room, though a bit "worn," was comfortable. The heating/a/c unit was somewhat noisy, but at bedtime we were able to turn if off, which was fine. Unfortunately, the hotel cannot select who the patrons will be, and on this given stay, there were people who were up and about yelling in the halls, playing loud music, and making lots of noise, starting at about 5AM. Very inconsiderate and unpleasant. The breakfast buffet was good-----had hard boiled eggs which is a nice option to select if you don't want the "packaged" scrambled eggs. Cups were hot paper cups---also a nice feature to save our environment.
This was our first time staying at this location and everything was wonderful! When we entered the lobby, it just had the decor that made me feel like I was in Georgia! The room was clean and staff was very nice! I would recommend to anyone in this area!
Jan 28-feb 3 was spent here. It was really nice and comfortable. The front desk staff were super nice and helped so much. The cleaning staff always spoke and said good morning. Any staff I encountered aleays asking if I needed anything. I would definitely stay here again. I was very pleased with this location.
As most others have said, this is a great BW. We were there over the holidays and the small lobby was nicely decorated. Breakfast area is a bit tight at times but well kept. Bed was comfortable, room nicely decorated.
What a true pleasure to deal with the front desk agent was absolutely spectacular. Will definitely be going back. Would recommend them to family and friends. Very affordable stay and an over-the-top customer service.
This is a very good choice Everything was perfect Reception to departure no problem Bed comfortable, decor very nice and most of all clean. Breakfast was good I would definitely go back in my next trip
Live roaches in the room. I have stayed at this motel before without issue. It is clear to me that the management of this motel has significantly declined. In this day and age, and the strong competition for motel rooms, when a problem of this nature occurs it clearly must be known by the management. Bugs in the rooms do not happen overnight and do not happen in just one room.
Wow. Hard to believe it's a best western. Rooms are great. Spacious. Modern. All amenities. Fridge. Freezer. Microwave. Etc. Full breakfast. Complimentary water. Get a coupon on I95 at visitor centers for great rate.
We rarely have a bad stay at a Best Western, and this was no exception. Staff was friendly, hotel is clean, rooms are fairly quiet. Located off 95, so it's perfect for our last stop when driving to FL. Plenty of restaurants nearby, as well.
No one at reception to meet us and had to wait after long day on road to check in. Staff not very pleasant when did show up. We were advised there was no WiFi and that remained true for overnight and morning till we left. The breakfast area is too crammed. Nice lobby appearance
Will stay again on my way home. Lots of hotels in the area but this was the cleanest and a good value. Long trip bit a great place to lay your head for a refreshing night sleep. Good location and lots of resteraunts nearby
Clean modern room. Great location right on the Florida border. Nice breakfast. Only spent the night while traveling from New Jersey to South West Florida.. One of the nicest Best Westerns I've encountered
Best Western is one of my choice picks when on the road and this one falls short. My issues are the room size is small. The bathroom is about the size of a cruise ship and the shower head was below my head as I am 6' tall. The sink is in the bed area, so if you share the room you must wake up the other person if you use the toilet at night. The beds need replacement as the mattress are not up a better hotel standards. The sheets were stretched out and did not stay on mattress so I slept on top of the mattress cover. I also had problems with my toilet backing up and had to get and use a plunger at 5 am. The breakfast is sub par as there were no hot choices available at 7:10 am and it took a while to replenish. The problem is there was only 1 person on duty and she had to cook clean and run the front desk. With so many choices at exit 3 on rt. 95 I suggest for the same price or just a few dollars more stay smarter.
Best Western plus tries hard to match upscale hotels with this newer line. They have about got it. But it seems the bar is always raising at Marriott, IHG, Hilton too. Best Western is a good family destination. You can count on the family being accepted there without frowns from other guests.
Hotel is extremely old and outdated. Shower pressure is very low and the water has a terrible smell. For the price you pay you're better off staying at a Hampton Inn. Staff was friendly but have to work with what the hotel is. Old and in desperate need of repair. I made a reservation seven months ago and still was treated like I walked in off the street without a reservation. This is my second time in this hotel and will be my last.
The hotel staff was great. Friendly and efficient. Any concerns we had were addressed pronto. If we're in Kingsland again, will definitely stay here. Restaurants nearby were adequate, and easy access to I-95.
We have been coming to this hotel for 5 years and was very disappointed this time. We had a clogged toilet and they had no one on staff to fix it and couldn't move us because they were filled up, so we had to use the public bathrooms. The staff when we checked in seemed like we were bothering her which has never happened in the past. They did take off a percentage from our bill but only after I had to ask that something be done about this.
My husband and I were more than happy with our stay at the Best Western in Kingsland, GA. It was excellent! We found the personnel of the hotel could not have been nicer or any more accomodating than they were. We would highly recommend this hotel!
Very clean and comfortable facility and guest room. Staff were exceptional and breakfast buffet very good. The internet service was flawless. The location of the facility was the usual sise near the interstate and surrounded by similar businesses. Everything else was a welcomed respite from the stress of interstate travel.
This hotel at mile 3 at the bottom of Georgia is the best that we have ever experienced. We used to stay at Point South, SC on the way from Ontario, but it was too soon to stop. We will stay at South Point on the way home. It' s my 2nd favourite.
Very pleased with this hotel.Price could have been a little lower. The location was great. Staff friendly. Many choices in eateries .I didn't like the bathroom sink being in the sleeping area. This seems to be a place were many tour groups stay. I would recommend this for an overnight stay.
This hotel was clean and comfortable. It is very convenient to the Navy base. Amelia Island is close by also. The bed was very comfortable. The room was well lighted. The internet connection was good, but did drop occasionally. The breakfast was fine. There were pancakes plus an egg and meat selection that changed daily.
The check in/out processes were easy due to the friendly counter staff. The staff let me know that I could use my bonus points to book my next hotel at a 1/2 rate. The breakfast was good; however the eating area was small. I would stay here again!
Room was dirty. The carpets were worn and dirty in my room. The curtains were made wrong and did not work. On the ground floor and every one could look in. If you like bacon, eggs or sausage avoid this place at all costs.
Very good service at check in and check out. Excellent breakfast, fresh and delicious and GREAT location. Staff was wonderful. Stayed 2 times within a month on our trip to and from Florida. Will always make this our stop.
Stayed here for a couple of weeks. Front of the hotel was clean, but there was work being done on the roof that kinda took away from the decor. Room was clean and bed was made daily. Towels were replaced daily. Used the laundry area, but it took a while because there was only one wash and dryer. Plenty of eating spots in the area, I recommend Dick's near I95 if you're looking for a good bar and good wings. I'd stay here again if need be for a decent price, probably no more than $65 a night.
We have stayed several times in Kingsland when travelling down to Florida from Ontario. This was the first time at Best Western & won't be our last. Lovely hotel in great location off I95 with a good choice of restaurants nearby.
I am handicapped, and was very tired when I arrived. Thanks to Kiona, the front desk clerk, assisted me to the room, and even brought up ice for me. The rooms were clean, the staff was very professional, and the room rate was fair.
Nice rooms and breakfast is included, which was excellent. Many restaurants near by for other meals. They have a pool but we couldn't use it as it was too cold outside. Close to the interstate. They also provide very good chocolate chip cookies.
After staying at a Best Western the night before we were hesitant but our AAA trip advisor recomended it. It was very nice from the moment we walked in we were treated very well. Warm cookies at night with free USA Today newspapers and a very good breakfast. The only complaint was the shampoo and shower gel dispensers in the shower were empty. This was a handicapped room they gave us and that would not be good for a handicapped person. Beds were comfy with lots of pillows. We liked it very much.
Very clean room. Easy access to I95. Variety of restaurants, shops, nearby. Each day delicious chocolate chip cookies were available...nice touch! Enjoyed our stay. Desk personnel very helpful giving directions.
On our way back from a Cuba Cruise at Tampa Port, we stopped overnight at this Best Western Hotel. It was okay. The room was fairly clean. It had a moldy smell when we entered the room, but once the air conditioner was turned on, the smell subsided. The carpet had stain spots on it. The small tan pillows had stains on the cases. Other than those few little things, the room was nice. The furniture, sheets, bathroom, shower, and fixtures were all clean and functional. The room was very comfortable and quiet. The staff Melissa was courteous, polite and kind. I called ahead and she assured a room rate with the coupon from the welcome center. She welcomed us with a smile and the smell of freshly made chocolate cookies permeated the lobby. Wow, they were delicious. That was a nice introduction to the hotel. The next morning, we had a nice breakfast. The hotel had an automatic pancake maker. The pancakes were delicious. Thanks for a nice stay Melissa. :)
We make it a point to stop here every year on our way south. It is easy to access from the interstate, the rooms are clean, there are several good restaurants nearby and the complimentary breakfast is good.
found dead roaches in room stains on night table from drinks.and dust all over and I paid for this, called and complained and they said no oter room to put us inbecause they were sold out.TV was very fussy and hard to see.
Great hotel to prepare ourselves for the day-long Florida drive. Comfortable room and nice staff. Parking the U-Haul wasn't great, but we got it done. Plenty of places to eat right outside of the hotel, so its in a really good area. Bed was comfy but pillows were a tad flat. Purchased the hotel through a third party and found out after the fact, BW charged me again for the room. They did quickly acknowledge and refund. Overall, a great stay.
Quite an improvement from past experiences at Best Western from several years ago. Close to a Hampton Inn and better in some areas. Breakfast choices somewhat limited but good. Very clean and up to date
It's certainly nothing ostentatious, but it meets my needs and the price is right. Just north of Jacksonville, it sits immediately off the #3 Georgia exit of I-95. The rooms are quiet, clean and have all the standard amenities. They offer a complimentary hot breakfast (cookies in the evening). There is a small pool. Restaurants abound nearby and there are 3 within walking distance. I asked for a possible AARP or military discount upon check-in. They discounted the room from $99 to $84. For what reason, I never was quite sure, but I didn't argue. Given the opportunity, I will certainly stay there again
Various issues with the rooms from 1st night. AC not working in first room and had to change rooms. 2nd room had a foul moldy smell and had paint coming off the walls due to water damage. No water (hot or cold) in the morning. 3rd room smelled better but same water issue in the morning. Had another 2 nights stay but checked out early and found another hotel.
If you check my reviews, You'll see that I passed through Kingsland last Monday on our way to Charleston South Carolina. I guess you could call this a vacation trip, but it was more a decompression from the damage we separate from hurricane Irma. Due to our agent bad backs 20 minutes we picked Kingslan as a halfway point from our home in Florida. On the trip north we stayed at a hotel within 1000 yards of this hotel is called comfort suites, however it was no comfort, you could check out that review On the trip north we stayed at a hotel within 1000 yards of this hotel is called comfort suites, however it was no comfort, you could check out that review On our return trip to Florida we stayed once again at Kingsland, Georgia. , however this time we stayed at the best Western plus Talk about the difference between night and day , this place was like paradise compared to her previous stay at the comfort inn . Clean, modern, courteous attentive service, little amenities like chocolate chip cookies and cappuccino 24 hours a day ,brighty lit cheerful hallways , cameras covering all doorways and always add it to a sense of security, and then the best part of the state was our room . Everything you could ask for : modern bathroom with walking contour shower with separate thermostat, comfortable king bed, microwave , separate refrigerator/freezer....that's right two separate compartments, flatscreen TV with HBO include , A quiet air conditioning/heating system with anti-allergen filter ,two comfortable clubchairs with separate v chairs with separate Ottomans. If a traveler were to design the perfect budget conscious hotel suite, it would look exactly like this room that we are in. So what could make this any better, how about a great free breakfast!
We travel to S Carolina and have stopped at this hotel many times. It's in a nice area ,plenty of parking, comfortable bed, decent breakfast, and very clean and affordable .i would recommend this hotel to anyone making a stop in Kingsland Ga.
The place was as clean as a whistle. I was provided wonderful service and the room was so comfortable. The front desk receptionist provided such great help with an awesome smile and willing attitude. She wanted to help and it showed. She did everything could to make sure all of our needs were met. The hotel was also affordable. I will be returning. Thanks.
We were impressed by the décor, appearance, cleanliness and friendliness of the staff at this Best Western Plus Hotel in Kingsland, GA. In this border town to Florida they apparently compete with most of all other Hotel Chain Group accomodations. We felt that they offer better value than comparable class hotels of other major groups.
WE stayed there during hurricane IRMA. Sherry, the manager could not do enough for us. The staff were very attentive to our needs. It felt like we were all family. Breakfast was good. Restaurants close by
Great location off I-95; very clean, great staff, rooms comfortable, Sherry, the General Manager, on property thru-out hurricane. Great leadership with a full hotel; Mona in housekeeping worked thru-out the storm keeping rooms clean and pleasant customer service. Great traveling experience all round!
Had a room with 2 beds, full sizes not queen. Decent room with a shower, (no tub). The shower is odd, as it has a seat and the curtain really makes it feel tight. Not complaining it's just different. The staff were all nice and the hotel is clean. Typical breakfast, better than continental but not as good as Hampton and such. For a hwy. 95 hotel at a reasonable price I will come back when I'm heading south to cruise.
This Bestwestern Plus is the Best place to stay in Kingsland. Even during my son and his wife's overdue pregnancy and Hurricane Irma bearing down on us all, they were all so caring and extremely helpful extending our stay, their concern for us and our evacuation. Sherry and her staff is tops in my book!!
We usually drive from PA to Ga every summer. Once we discovered BW Kingsland, we've always tried to make it our overnight destination on our way south and again on our way north. We have never been disappointed, and it is probably the best BW you will ever find.
The hotel staff is one of the best I've experienced in a long time. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating, providing excellent service. Clean, comfortable hotel located near stores, restaurants, etc.
We stopped here for a quick ten hour stop. Ate dinner, slept and on the road again! The entry way in pretty. Front desk staff and breakfast staff were great. I am the type of person who reads all reviews of surrounding hotels & this was the best. I felt safe and it was! Thank you for a great quick stay!
Very nice! Great location! Everyone was great! Loved the pancake dispenser for breakfast! I usually stay at Best Western when I travel and have never had a bad experience and this stop more than met my expectations.
Nice motel, but had some issues. First thing I noticed was that the lobby was very cold when I walked in. Then when we got up for breakfast the lobby and breakfast areas were still very cold. I complained but was given some meaningless excuses. we were very uncomfortable eating breakfast. The staff lady in there even brought a blanket to our grandson who was shaking because of the cold. others complained of the cold also, but the front desk staff didn't do anything to raise the temperature.
The best experience. A must stay ! Clean and neat as a pin, breakfast had a good selection above others, accommodations where comfy and clean. All grounds and the building is well kept and neat as a "pin". Very comfortable. Highly recommend.
We went to the Country Inn next door and the lady was kindof rude so we drove over to the BW and Jessica was extremely nice when we checked in & recommended a great restaurant. Beds were very comfortable & the room was clean. Does need a little updating but I would highly recommend this hotel.
This hotel needs some renovation. The carpet was old and dingy. The PTAC unit was broken in several spots. There was obvious water damage around the rooms' baseboards. The light fixtures in the bathroom were mismatched sizes and shapes. The shower curtain rod was old and cracked all the way around. And then they had the audacity to charge some random $5.00 fee called a "transportation fee" to my card for the night that I used my points for a free night stay. And was quoted no charge on Best Western.Com. All that says to me is that they charged $5.00 for us driving in, since they didn't transport anything. On a positive note, the beds were comfortable. Even thought the sheets were thread bare. The night auditor was nice.
we have stayed in 4 other hotels while traveling the past 2 weeks. This one was superb. beautiful architecture, cleanliness was the best, shower and beds were great. Breakfast had more variety then other hotels as well as good food and service. Staff is friendly and courteous. the price for all this is more then fair. Plenty of restaurants in area, some within walking distance wish all the hotels could be this nice. I'm looking forward to staying there again
Spent the night here recently while traveling north from Florida. This is an older property, but nicely re-done. Inside corridors. Very clean and attractive. All of the staff were extremely nice, helpful, and courteous. The rates were quite reasonable. There's an attractive lobby and a small dining area with afternoon cookies, and coffee, tea, and fruit snacks always available. There is a small outdoor pool and a covered entry area. The property is very convenient to I-95. There was no outside noise and we had no security concerns. There are numerous easy to reach nearby restaurants of all levels from fast food to nicer dining. While our twin double room was smallish by modern standards, it was absolutely fine for the two of us and nicely appointed and equipped. There was a fridge with real freezer, a microwave, and a small coffee maker. The furniture and chair were fine, with a very usable desk. There were plenty of electrical outlets. Free wifi worked well. Excellent TV, after learning that the lower number channels listed on their station sheet were old analog channels that no longer work, though all were duplicated in the higher digital channels. The shower surround was new and clean and is in a room with the commode, separate from the sink. A standard motel breakfast was provided with cheese/eggs, sausage, toast , bagels, buns, cereals, yogurt, fruit and more. Late in the breakfast time slot, when quantities were running low, the staff was extremely nice and attentive about replenishing them. In summary, a very pleasant place to spend the night. We'd definitely stay there again.
Had to be moved to another room due to bad musky odor. Toilet ran the entire time and no writing pen or scratch pad in room. Larger stain in carpet in middle of room. Tread mill made terrible noise. Staff was nice but did not offer a free room voucher but did offer some bonus points for all the inconveniences.
Very nice and comfortable. Excellent bed- very clean. Breakfast was pretty good with eggs and toast etc. Several restaurants in easy walking distance. Small pool was great for kids. For $89/night I was more than satisfied.
Although the hotel is a little dated, everything was very clean, the staff were very friendly, the room quiet and the breakfast was all the typical breakfast fare. For the price of the room this was a good deal. If driving through, we would stay here again.
If anyone stops at this BW don't judge all BW by this one. The beds were comfortable it is an older building, but I slept good which is the most important, since I do all the driving, the breakfast was the only down fall. But take heart there is a IHOP down the street which was wonderful.
ent and friendlyOn our way to Savannah,we made an overnight stop at Kingsland. The Best Western Plus is a very clean and comfortable hotel. The room was good sized and very clean. Our bed gave us a good nights sleep.Breakfast was delicious and they even have a pancake maker for those liking them.Check in and out was quick, efficient and friendly.Would definitely stay here again.
Expect a deal, but don't expect sleep. Beds are the old school hard mattresses and themwindow air consitiner cuts on and off, loudly, as designed. Expect a crowd, but slim pickings at the breakfast bar. Look elsewhere, even if you have to drive farther. Staff was very friendly, indeed.
LaTonya & Mona were so accommodating and personable. The warm cookies served nightly were nice after a long drive. The room was clean and the breakfast was constantly replenished. Proximity to restaurants, stores, and the interstate was convenient.
One of the best hotels we have stayed in for the past 5 years. We normally stay in Choice Hotels. This hotel was clean, beautiful and had a very friendly, helpful staff. I was impressed with all the beautiful mouldings and trey ceilings in the room with recessed lighting. The refrigerator had its own separate freezer....you don't find that often. Hallways were beautifully lighted. Breakfast was hot and delightful.
This hotel is everything you could ask for and more. The facility is great and the staff is beyond excellent. From check-in to departure, it does not get any better than this for any type of travel. Make it a point to plan to stay here anytime you are traveling or staying in the area.
This is probably the nicest Best Western Plus we have stayed out. the rooms are clean, bathrooms are updated, the breakfast room is beautiful, and there is a large assortment of choices for breakfast. The staff is friendly and helpful. this was a great place to stay.
Entire staff very friendly. Clean and great value. Property appearance equal to higher end brands. Building is very well maintained and the "Plus" amenities are impressive. If you're visiting Kingsland, GA I recommend staying here.
The staff was amazing! The hotel was very CLEAN! We will definitely be staying again! Babs, Mona and Sheila were three of the staff members who provided excellent service! This was our first vacation in 10 years. I will definitely be staying at BW hotels from now on and only hope they can measure up to the Kingsland staff. The complimentary breakfast was plenty.
Hotel is very clean and quiet! Staff is extremely nice. As a female that travels alone I appreciate the well lit parking lot for when I don't make it back before dark from work! Hotel within walking distance of restaurants! Absolutely will stay again!
Since we make several trips out of SW Fl at different seasons of thee year and we usually have to make a stop in GA.I find that this Best Western hotel was one of our better choices; I think we will do it again--at least on the North bound leg!
Friendly staff. Easy check-in. Room was clean and nicely decorated. Hot breakfast was very good. Lobby and Parking areas also very clean. Hotel is very conveniently located at Exit 3 on Interstate 95, just before the Florida border.
Good Value, Great Staff, Fine Facility. This motel is very convenient to I-95, Food Choices, Saint Mary City and attractions, the Navy Base, and Cumberland Island National Park and Seashore. The hot breakfast had many choices and was prepared and served with care and in interesting fashion.
Very nice and clean place, the employees were extremely nice. Breakfast was good, not a lot of selection but enough to satisfy everyone. The only reason for the 4 stars is the air conditioner was a little loud but kept us cool.
Hotel was very quiet at night which is a plus cause I'm a light sleeper it's right off the exit and very convenience to restaurants and stores Florida line is only 5-10 minutes away where you can enjoy the beach and more restaurants
We were again welcomed by the friendly staff at this Best Western. The accommodations were clean! The free breakfasts were tasty and we slept well. The pool was a bit chili and dirty but we enjoy sitting on the patio chatting. We will stay here again and again!
Loved the quaintness of this hotel! As a solo female traveler, I appreciated that the rooms were all interior entrances, entering the hotel with key entrance only. Nice change instead of entering your room with an outside entrance. The lobby was a bit outdated but the rooms were nice.
We stayed in this resort only 1 time this year. We were there as a couple. The front desk staff is more than cordial and helpful at all times. The units was very clean and comfortable. The location is great. The breakfast buffet good all around. I cannot say enough good about this place and can't wait to return!
We arrived after all day travel and were promptly checked in. The common areas are immaculate and the rooms are spacious, fresh and comfortable. There's plenty of space in the guest rooms to move around and not feel closed in. That in itself is relaxing. Will definitely stay again on next drive to Florida. The complimentary breakfast is about the same offerings as other hotels with quality being a bit above average.
Our stay was very comfortable. The Handicapped Shower was convenient and soothing. However, I am glad I wasn't in a wheelchair, because the room would have been too tight to manage. The scrambled eggs were light and fluffy, and seasoned just right!
It was a very nice hotel with a great breakfast. The hotel is clean and updated. The people I felt with were very nice. I liked the location because it was in walking distance of many places to eat dinner.
We stayed at this hotel mainly because we were vendors at the Fernandina Beach Shrimp Festival (about 35 min.'s away). Staff was friendly, room was super clean and comfortable. Several stores and restaurants within easy walking distance. Would recommend this hotel.
this hotel has been nicely renovated. It is clean and has friendly staff. It has good access to interstate 95 and you can walk across the parking lot to several restaurants. Very good stop over and we plan to return.
Beautiful hotel inside and out. The room was clean and comfortable. Nice staff, would recommend it. Location served its purpose, plenty of area restaurant's to eat dinner at. breakfast was fine. It was worth the fair price we paid.
We were traveling home to NC from Miami and were exhausted when we pulled up the the hotel. Fortunately they had a vacancy and the facility was very clean and the staff very professional. Even though we were there only a short time I would recommend this hotel and if in the area would stay there again.
We had booked this motel as a stopover on our way to Florida. We arrived early afternoon after being on the road throughout the night. We must have looked exhausted because we were able to check in early and were able to take a much needed rest. Waking up after our nap to the smell of fresh baked cookies and fresh coffee. Not that we had either due to avoidance by choice. The staff was all friendly and inviting. The room was nice and clean. It was in need of a few minor repairs to uphold the plus quality of this establishment. The shower curtain being one, it was a bit worn and not quite long enough to reach the bottom of shower, so floor got a bit wet. Bed was comfortable and HBO channels on television. Nice place to rest and revive. Overall great stopover with plenty of food options near by. We were even looking to get healthy snacks and shopped at the Food Lion.
Great stay and a great sleep during our long drive home! We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend to all. You can really tell the difference staying at a Best Western as the owners take personal pride in ensuring you are welcome.
We travel down to Florida a few times a year to visit relatives and this was our second visit at this property within the last six months. It is a small facility conveniently locate just off I95. The staff is very friendly, rooms are quiet and clean. The breakfast offering is good and we continue to stay there on our trips.
I just spent 2 weeks in Kingsland GA visiting my son and his family and loved Best Western Plus. It's conveniently located to many restaurants, fast food establishments, gas stations and is so easy to find. A continental breakfast is included every morning. There is a pool, gym, small business center, very nice enviroment and wonderful staff! Would highly recommend and will be booking a block of rooms for my son's upcoming wedding for all his out of town guests including my husband and myself. Priced fairly for a very comfortable stay.
This hotel was clean and well maintained. Totally charming. Great breakfast. Hope we will get the opportunity to stay there again. It was a great experience after a long day of travel. Deserves more than 5 stars.
Clean rooms, friendly staff. Breakfast wasn't great but okay. The eggs were not real. Powdered I think. Bed was very comfortable. Had a shower only. No tub. But that was fine with us. Will stay here again.
The hotel is located just off Route 95. We stopped here once before last month and for the second time we where pleased with the accommodations. The hotel makes a good impression when you drive up since the grounds are neat and clean. The lobby area makes a good impression as the rest of public areas. The room was very clean as was the bath which had a very nice shower. The bed was very comfortable making for for a good nights rest for the balance of our trip. There are restaurants nearby to take care of those needs.
This was a very nice hotel. Staff was lovely, and rooms were very clean. The breakfast was a typical Best Western buffet, which I always enjoy. The ham and cheese eggs are something I gaven't had the pleasure of having often. My only complaint was about the bath soap, and shampoo dispensers. The product was almost impossible to get out of the dispenser. It is a lovely idea, but the traditional little bottles were sorely missed.
We obtained a fair price by booking on line, found it to be better accommodations than were available in Brunswick area, which was our original goal as we headed north. This worked out much better. The hotel was nice, room was fine. Nothing too fancy, breakfast was okay but everything was clean and reasonable. Good parking. There are several good restaurants including a great small Italian restaurant nearby.
This was a great place to stay on our way down to Miami area. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, the towels fluffy and the free breakfast was very good. The hotel in conveniently located near I 95 and near many places to eat. The staff was helpful and very accommodating. We liked this hotel so much that we booked it again for our trip home. The only small drawback for some is that the rooms have only showers, no tubs. Since we are shower people it did not make a difference to us but if you like to soak in a tub you will have a problem.
We stayed there on our way to NC from Florida, the beds are very very tiny, the floor has a big stain, and the toilet was dirty.... we woke up to get breakfast and it was just to crowded. We left to have breakfast elsewhere as the eggs also did NOT look good at all.
The staff was friendly and professional. The room was very clean and well appointed. Good wifi connection. Within walking distance to several restaurants. Breakfast was your typical free hotel fare, but the hot food was hot.
We were disappointed with this hotel. It was taken over by a group of Coast Guard. There were officers and they had no regard for anyone but them selves. It was not possible to find a seat for breakfast, as they took all the tables and were working with their lap tops. They also filled the lobby. Some people had to stand toeat breakfast, while these guys & 1 woman took all the tables and were not even eating. No one requested they move to allow other travelers a place to have breakfast.
This is a nice hotel, but we felt it was slightly over rated. Good staff. Room was a little small, breakfast was okay. Wi-fi was pretty good. Would definitely stop again when on the road. As with many BW Plus it's hard to figure out what makes it a plus.
This motel is very easy to get to off Interstate 95. It is very clean and quiet. It appears to be fairly new. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was more than we expected. This is probably the best I 95 motel we have stayed in recently. We would go again
The Best Westen rPlus was our escape from the hurricane Matthew. Se were greeted by a great desk staff, The owner actually moved into the hotel the night we arrived. Lovely kingsize bed in a large room. Entire staff couldn't do enough for us. Power companies from W Virginia and Ohio were with us at the hotel, waiting to fix Amelia Island, where we live, the minute the bridge to the mainland opened. The breakfasts were better than any exclusive hotel, with everything you could dream of at each breakfast, The rooms were modern, the bathroom was large. Everyone staying at this hotel was excited with this hotel. They are #1 in Kingsland for good reason,
This is a Best Western motel and all that this standard room provides. This is not a Best western Plus, but a good standard Best Western motel. Only had one luggage rack, would have liked and could have used two luggage racks.
This hotel would have been fine but they forgot to clean our room 3 days in a row out of 9. That is a real problem especially after talking to the front dest everyday that we came home to a dirty room and had to go get our own clean towels and take the garbage out. Not what you want to do when your visiting family.
Excellent hotel--very clean--good price--good location--very good staff--we stay there during the Rock Shrimp Festival. It is about 20 miles from St Marys. Rooms are excellent and breakfast was satisfactory.
The beds in this hotel are amazing. The property is clean, and I felt completely safe. Our room was in an inside hallway, and the hallways were very brightly lit. A keyboard is required to gain entry into the hallway. This is a green hotel, and as such, water pressure was lower than I was used to. The bathroom was very small, with a shower stall only. I did like that they used a liquid dispenser for all of the toiletries in the shower. The room was pristine. Absolutely zero complaints about housekeeping. Check in was very smooth, and the staff was extremely pleasant.
We enjoy staying here, the place is lovely and well maintained. There are fresh cookies at night and a great breakfast in the morning. They have someone monitoring the food layout to make sure everything is available. You can really tell the difference between the regular Best Westerns and the Plus.
This hotel is clean and updated. The bed was comfortable, and the room had a microwave and refrigerator. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Full hot breakfast including scrabbled eggs, ham, and waffles. Overall a very pleasant stay!
Very nice friendly staff, comfortable clean rooms, typical breakfast. We had 3 rooms and all enjoyed our one-night stay for a family wedding in St Mary's. Varying opinions on comfort of beds. Beds in two-bed rooms were a bit small. But highly recommend.
I have stayed in many Best Westerns. This one is rated as a plus but I believe it is over rated. The room I was in was not well laid out. The shower was poor and the breakfast was marginal. About a week later I stayed in another BW which was not a plus and I considered it superior to this BW.
Our short stay at this motel was extremely pleasant. Variety of restaurants very close by, hotel staff friendly, courteous and professional. Excellent room and great breakfast. There are several different attractions in the area to attend and enjoy.
Hotel staff was gracious, friendly and went out of their way to accommodate me. I unexpectedly needed an early check in and hospitality was able to change their schedule and get me into a room by 12. This was a stay for a memorial service - they handed me water and kleenex when I left for the service.
My family (2 adults, 3 young children) and I were lucky enough to snag a room at this BW Plus a few weeks ago. We were in the process of moving to the area and ended up staying here for 2 whole weeks while house hunting. The front desk staff is fantastic and MORE than accommodating, shoutout to Betty for being an absolute doll even after my kids rang the front desk several times... Housekeeping is terrific as well, shoutout to Synclaire for coming in to change linens, make beds, and vacuum up crumbs every day! Oh! And the maintenance man is fantastic as well! The owner and manager both visit the hotel daily and keep it in absolute tip top shape. The hotel is extremely well maintained. PS not only do they serve (free!) breakfast every morning... but they also serve warm cookies for kids every evening! How. Awesome. Is. That. Seriously... if you can, stay here!
My wife and I booked this Best Western on our return trip from Toronto... Normally you rarely know everything about a rental until you open the door... HOWEVER, I was impressed BEFORE getting to our room and opening the door... The front entrance and lobby were shouting WELCOME... The hallway was well lite and room doors decorative, beyond "just a door"... The room we received was the second from the rear entrance and a handicap parking space... I had requested such due to my wife's inability to walk... The room and it's location was exactly as needed and requested... The king size bed with soft sheets and comfortable mattress was a welcoming sight after our long drive... The staff was ultra friendly... After this stop-over we will be planning our trips to include Kingsland, GA and this Best Western...
Checked in to this hotel at 11:45pm on 6/24/2016. The lady that checked me in asked if I had a reservation and I told her yes. I had already pre-paid in full through Expedia. She assigns me and my family to room #107. We proceed to the room and open the door. Nothing had been cleaned. Bed sheets still the same and not made. I go back to the front and the same lady seemed very surprised and handed me a key to room # 106. I proceed to the room to find a sign outside of the door that said do not disturb. I knocked on the door and someone was in this room. I now for a third time go back to the front desk and now it is 12:30am. I explained to her that I just wanted my money back and I would take my family to another hotel. Another lady working said no we'll get it figured out. They then give me a key to room #101. I opened the door and it smells like cigarettes and wet mildew. I can't believe this. My main concern is that they have a computer system and so freely handed me a key to someone else's room. What a breach of security and safety!
Friendly hotel staff always willing to help and assist rooms cleaned to a high standard every day nice clean pool, breakfast could be more but nice with plenty of eating establishments close by great location for getting to north or south whether just on vacation or business ideally and close to the Naval base and close to lots of beaches and shopping malls
I had never stopped in Kingsland on my solo trips from NY to SW Florida but I am glad I did this last trip. Lots and lots of restaurants available compared to the few offerings found at other exits. This particular hotel was a surprise. Easy to find very comfortable room, bed and a nice bathroom. All clean and ready,
We're almost always very satisfied with Best Western hotels, and Kingsland was no exception, Great, clean, great service and very comfortable beds. Only slight disappointment with breakfast - healthy bread choices and yogourt would be a superbe addition!
We stayed here for 1 night and really enjoyed our stay. Clean room, friendly staff, nice breakfast. They had a small workout room, which was great for me to come down early and use the treadmill. Lots of restaurants nearby. Would absolutely stay here again and would recommend to family and friends.
Room is nicely decorated. Love the dispensers for shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in the shower plus lotion at sink. This is new since my last trip( had the same room.) Only advice......don't take the room across from the ice and snack machines. The breakfast area is a little cramped but I was early enough to be the only one there. The selection is great.
Very nice hotel. It was a perfect place to stop if your heading to Disney. Staff was wonderful rooms where very clean. They have a nice pool that you can swim in. It's nicely located near some nice restaurants.
This was our third visit to this property, traveling along the eastern seaboard every year. The desk staff is always efficient and helpful, the rooms are clean and decently sized, and the included breakfast has a good selection. Located at exit 3 off of I-95, it has easy access on and off that highway. There were several restaurants nearby.
The staff at this hotel was great. Room was mostly ok. Clean but had a smell and carpets stained. Overall a good value, just under $100. Easy access from I-95. There's a lot of good food choices at this exit also.
Very satisfied with this Best Western Plus. On a weekend motorcycle trip riding coastal GA. Very clean and close to restaurants. Pool was well kept and parking lot is well lit. Front desk staff nice and made sure we had everything in our room. Did not eat the free breakfast but it did smell wonderful.
Planned stop on way to Florida Port Everglades from Tennessee. Clean rooms and safe area. Breakfast was sufficient although cramped breakfast nook. Staff friendly and helpful. Motel difficult to find tucked in behind some other establishments.
Great curb appeal. Landscaping and pool areas are finely tuned. Very clean throughout. More than friendly staff .Central location for military friends and family.Rooms are very quiet. The only drawback was the average breakfast.
We stay at Best Western, Holiday Inn Express and Comfort Inn. We are very seldom let down. This was a good stop after a long drive day and was quiet, restful and presented a nice small breakfast to get going. Thanks to all.
We were planning an early morning tour in the Okefenokee Swamp and chose this hotel because we believed Kingsland offered better stay options than Folkston. The downside is that it is about 45 minutes away (but minimal traffic). The upside is that it was a comfortable and quiet hotel and has a number of good restaurants in the immediate area. The other upside is that the hotel provides a hot breakfast beginning early in the morning.
The hotel is very clean. The staff friendly, the room was clean and quiet, and the air conditioner is quiet. Good continental breakfast. The hotel is reasonably priced. This was a good place to stop. Plenty of restaurants.
Comfortable, clean, modern - As a stop-over location - we can depend on this hotel not to disappoint. Rooms are clean, modern and we really appreciate the refrigerator to store our food and refreeze our cooler packs. Other hotels do not always provide unless by special request. There are plenty of choices for a supper meal close by and the warm cookies & coffee in the early evening are a nice bonus treat prior to retiring,
Very nice place to stay, clean, easy to find, convenient located to everything else; staff was very friendly; room was ready earlier which was very convenient after a long drive. Would definitely stay there again.
Excellent facility definitely recommended. 5 Stars. Room was very clean and the hotel staff was very helpful. Easy access to local eateries, fuel, and return to I-95 North or South. I would definitely like to stay at this facility in the future.
Booked this hotel as a stopping point on the way back from FL based on the reviews I read, had points for a free night. Otherwise, I wouldn't be able to sleep if I had paid money for this room. I guess not everyone's experience is the same, don't usually write reviews but felt the need to warn others. Both staff members were nice but check in took longer that you would expect for us already having a reservation and being the only ones there after 10:00 PM. They had a night check-in window and our family of 4 had to stay outside in the entry way several minutes during check-in as the outside door kept opening and closing, wondering why we couldn't come in since we did have a room there and would eventually have to come in. Finally got to come in and complete the process and get our room. Stale smell hit us when we opened the door, had to crank up the a/c and leave door open a few minutes to air it out. Floor looked like a vacuum hasn't touched it in a while. Glad there were 4 pillows on our bed because a couple weren't quite clean. Maybe others had gotten there earlier and gotten all of the good rooms listed on these reviews. Wireless signal also pretty weak considering the small size of the hotel and the time of night we were using it. All staff in the morning were very nice as well and there was a lot of breakfast items for such a small space but I guess they didn't want to waste anything since breakfast ended at 9:30 because nothing was restocked from 8:45 on. Now I remember why it's been a while since I've stayed in a Best Western, never will accumulate any more points to use. Too many other brands that are much better quality with consistency. Stay at your own risk, a lot of good reviews but definitely wasn't our experience.
Pleasant staff, quick check in. Very nice looking lobby/breakfast area. Was put on 2nd floor but they have an elevator for luggage lugging. Bathroom not huge but shower big enough for two and has shampoo, conditioner & shower gel in dispenser. Room was nice, bed was one of the better ones we had on this road trip. Wifi worked fine for us. Micro & frig in room. Flat screen. Breakfast was hot & cold, the typical: waffle maker, cereal, toast, bagels, eggs, sausage, juices, milk. The coffee was just ok, but usually have better at motels breakfast. Restaurants close by. This place has all the basics that you need for a comfortable stay-over. Of all the staff, the maids were the most pleasant with a quick return of my morning greeting and a smile that was sincere.
This was great place to for us to stay over night for the price. We had 3 adults in our group and used two rooms. Staff were all helpful and the rooms were clean. Everything in both of the rooms worked well. The internet was fast and the complimentary breakfast had a good selection of items and was delicious.
We stayed here for one night while traveling to Florida. Our stay was comfortable and the room was clean and quiet. In room wi-fi worked well and the complimentary breakfast had a very good selection. The hotel is in a good location, convenient to a number of restaurants. I would stay here again.
We booked this room through Orbitz as a stop over on our drive from NY to FL. It was a two bed room for a family of 3. The woman at the front desk was very nice and polite when we checked in on March 19, 2016. The hotel was quiet and clean and well lit. Upon inspection, one of the beds has what appeared to be makeup all over the top part of the comforter. I went to the front desk to inform her that we needed the bed changed, but she informed me that the housekeeping staff had gone home for the day and I would have to take the bedding up myself - so I did. (this scenario was not her fault and I know she couldn't leave the front as she was the only one there - so this does not reflect on her as a worker). We slept well and all was quiet. In the morning we went down for breakfast before checking out. The breakfast area was way to small. It was so tight and difficult to move about to get what you needed. On the positive side, the coffee was good and everything appeared to be fresh. The should reconfigure the room or expand it somewhat to make the flow easier on the guests.
We stayed here on a drive from Anna Maria Island, FL back to NC. It is just north of Fernandina Beach FL in Kingsland, GA. There are numerous other hotels off the I-95 exit but by chance we picked this one.... set back from the 4-lane highway, near numerous restaurants. It is attractive architecturally and the interior halls, lobby and room had attractive touches and furnishings. We would definitely stay here again!
Stayed both on our way to the Florida Keys and again on the way home to Canada. Very accommodating staff, good location with many eating options, very clean rooms with comfortable beds, good breakfast with a variety of choices. Lots of room to park our vehicle and boat. Excellent hotel!
This hotel is average in cleanliness and comfort, and has a free breakfast that isn't bad, but is usually crowded. It is conveniently located for our purpose, which is the main reason we stay there. However, it seems to get a bit more expensive every year we go there, and a bit more 'used'.
We traveled from Massachusetts to Florida and back. This wasn't even a close call of the best we stayed in! It was clean, the furnishings were nice, the staff very nice and we were so pleased we changed one of our nights coming home to another Best Western thinking it too would be clean! Sadly it was not to be. We were pretty naive thinking that if you stay in a name you recognize, you'll have at least clean accommodations! In more than one room, we found hair in the supposedly clean sheeted bed! In one room, I dropped my phone and when I lifted the bed skirt to get it, someone else's dirty sock was under there! So thank you Best Western in Kingsland for keeping such a nice and clean hotel! You stand out and it's much appreciated!
price is right, hotel is very clean, staff is great. this is a great place for an overnight or if you are conducting business at the sub base. also, convenient to old St Marys and Cumberland Island seashore.
above average accommodations. had a king room with fridge and MW. this was the last room on the 2nd floor; laundry was next door with starwell through a hall door. it was loud in the morning but that was the people not the inn. The elevator was at the front of the building; we didn't learn there was an elevator until we had carried our bags up the stairs, oh well. We stayed during a two day trip to Cumberland Island; a great experience.
Nice lobby, but an old place with cheap materials. Toilet stained (gross), room carpeting vacuumed but filthy dirty, and..... a very long curly hair between the sheets. I will try hard not to stay again
I consider this hotel My Home away from Home, If i have to drive anywhere within a 50 mile radius of this hotel for business you better believe this is where I will be spending the night. The staff treat you like royalty and the hotel is very well equipped for the business traveler or the family. I feel safe and secure. Thank you for all making me feel welcome.
This hotel is definitely five star!!! We stayed here on our way back to Pittsburgh. The room was very clean and quiet. The bed was very comfortable. We highly recommend this hotel! The staff was very courteous and professional. The cleaning crew does an exceptional job taking care of the rooms.
We requested a handicapped accessible room with a king size bed. Room was nice & clean and the staff was friendly. Easy to find, excellent location. We enjoyed waffles at breakfast. The dining area is small, but there was no wait,
We stopped on our way to Florida. Very nice, clean place. The staff was friendly and helped us find allergy information for the fresh cookies they offered. The room was clean and the shower was large. The area is a great stopping point-there are many family friendly restaurants nearby and we felt safe staying there.
have stayed here before and did not have the problems with my credit card like I did this time. it was ran three times and also $75 extra was put on it. did not tell you about this upfront and so not sure what is up with that since this has never happened before. it is a good place to stay and only complaints this time was the hot water was not very hot, other than that the other little things are okay. have a pretty good staff and no complaints. the one lady went out of her way and got us in one night earlier since we were coming in for a funeral. but like I said just watch the credit card.
This is the second time staying here. Both times were great. Second time the rooms were $24 more. First time was in Sep 2015 and for some reason it went up for Feb 2016 but still a good room. Very clean and very nice people.
We stopped at the best Western on the way to Florida after reading both positive and negative reviews. We found the room to be nice , clean and spacious. The breakfast was the typical continental breakfast one would be find. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The only complaint if you want to call it that was that the bed was too soft for my liking. I was informed that they will be changing the beds over shortly. It is definitely a place we might stay and on our trip back home.
On our way down South we got hotel discount coupons at the Georgia visitor center. The most expensive coupon was for the Best Western Plus ($69,99) but we chose it because we have enjoyed our past experience at a BW Plus. We were not disappointed this time. It was a very pleasant room with 2 very comfortable beds. The breakfast was good as always. The staff was very friendly, cheer and helpful. They steered us to a good seafood restaurant (Lang's) in historic St. Mary's, about 7 mile away but worth the trip.
Clean rooms. Excellent breakfast. Quick check in. Overall the hotel was good and a good value. I would recommend this hotel to my friends as a good place to stay. The location was very good and I would stay there again.
Nice place to stay on our drive from Myrtle Beach to Bradenton, FL. We were greeted by a very friendly host at the front desk. She handed us bottled water as soon as we walked in the door and that was great because we were so thirsty. She told us about coffee and cookies in the breakfast room in the evening and they were delicious too. Very nice stay.
I have stayed at many Best Western hotels in the past 15 years, very fair rates and comfortable rooms. This one is no exception, clean, quiet and comfortable beds. Applebees and Ruby Tuesday restaurants are close by.
We stayed here for an overnight stay while traveling. The staff was wonderful and so friendly. The room was fantastic! We got a great nights sleep and breakfast in the morning! We will stay there again when we travel!
This Best Western Plus was a very nice stay. Rooms were comfortable and property was very nice. Well maintained. No complaints. Nice area, many restaurants and shopping. Right off of the interstate 95
Well, I had just an OK stay. PROS: Check-in and Check-out service was great... very friendly ladies! The lobby and hallways looked in great shape. Room was clean for the most part. However... CONS: the carpet in my room was quite stained... beyond what I thought was acceptable, I found a dead roach on the floor (at least it was dead I guess?), the breakfast area was in a small cramped area... could hardly move area, and I didn't appreciate the politically biased FOX (Faux) News channel on for the entire breakfast area to view. Not a bad stay... But could have been better.
I see some recent reviewers of this hotel had some negative experiences to share. Our check in was ok and our toilet was clean but when we entered our room the HVAC was off. The room smelled. After an hour it was better but in the morning my wife broke out in a rash that is typical of her if she is around mold. We were given an apology but NOT offered any credit on our credit card. I can't prove the room had mold...it actually "looked fine".,,,but the HVAC being off is factual. On the positive side, the desk person on arrival day took the time to print out directions for me to Cape Canaveral. I'd asked for Port Canaveral but since they are so close, her efforts were helpful anyway.
We enjoy this Best Western, it is always a pleasure to stay in this location. Always very clean, bedding are well done, beds very comfortable. A breakfast is served and adequate. The desk are very helpful and professional. There is a very good little Italian restaurant in front of hotel that is excellent. A local place, but very accommodating and very efficient in service. You may have a short wait, but worth it. Nice place to stay while traveling.
We prefer Kingsland Best Western because it is price effective compared to other Best Western hotels in the area. It is new, clean and the staff is good to patrons. Also it is very near the I95 that we use going south. It was recommended to us by friends and we will recommend it to others
Check in was ok and friendly, but it went downhill from there. Went to the room and found it to be nothing like the reviews. The toilet was dirty and I can't believe the housekeeper did not see it . I called the front desk and the lady who checked us in came to clean the toilet. I found that to be very bazaar. We asked for a room with newer matrasses as we had just drove 700 miles and needed a good night sleep. The room she gave us had old mattresses that felt like the springs were coming thru the sheets. I am really shocked at the reviews and how this hotel is ranked number one out of 20 hotels in Kingsland. All I can say is AW COMON . The lobby everyone talks about that they claim is so great is no bigger than a living room in a good size home. The breakfast room is even smaller. I found the hallway carpeting to be worn and in need of replacement. On the good side the breakfast area was very clean and although there were not a lot of selections the breakfast was better than average. Hope this review is helpful.
We started the New Year off with a stay at this hotel. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. The rooms are good size and the beds are very good. The bathroom is very large and the shower was great. There is plenty of parking area and the hotel is off the road some to get away from traffic noise. It is only two stories ,so getting in and out was a breeze. Now, the bad. Only minor stuff. The breakfast area is small. About ten tables for all the guest. The selections were average for hotel breakfast but it was free and enough to get you going. The big issue was check in. The Best Western system had issues that night. I was told the hotel didn't show all the reservations coming in that night. Because of this, check in time was off the charts. Mine showed up but still had to wait for the issue to be taken care of. The young lady was very nice about the situation and we got the room in about 30 minutes after a long drive. I would have let all that go because it was a good stay, but I paid the total bill at check out and when I got home and checked my bank account I have a pending charge of $ 132.82 FOR ANOTHER ROOM. It may get dropped off account or I may have to call hotel. Either way, I am not pleased. That amount is frozen in my account for three days when amount is shown pending. We will see.
My husband & I booked a one night stay in Kingsland on a visit to Cumberland National Seashore. We chose this motel over the others in Kingsland & St. Mary based on reviews posted on TripAdvisor, and it did not disappoint. At check-in, our reservation was not showing, but Lisa quickly got it cleared up while assuring everyone waiting that she would get to them soon. She stayed calm and smiling - great customer service. The property was clean, brightly lighted , and quiet. We would definitely stay again.
This hotel has great staff and facilities. Will absolutely stay here again. Staff went over and above to make this feel like home. That kind of attention is rare. I have become a rewards member because of it.
It was a nice hotel with a nice lobby. The toilet seat had needs to be replaced and the rug in the room looked old and perhaps they need to air out the rooms a bit as it was stale and couldn't open the windows. But the front desk lady was very friendly and helpful, gave us recommendations on where to eat etc and free parking was a bonus.
I saw the great reviews for this hotel and decided to stay here on my way home to Sarasota. I usually do not stay at Best Westerns but since this one had lower rates and better reviews than other hotels on this exit, I thought I would give it a try. The check in process was seamless at 9:30 pm. The room was very clean and spacious. No funky smells like older hotels. We selected a king room with a shower only. Not a handicapped accessible room. The shower was awesome as it had a seat and adjustable shower head. The bed was comfortable. The ONLY negative things that I can say about this place would be that their bed pillows are horrible and their breakfast isn't "full". If you have neck issues, bring your own pillows! As far a breakfast goes, it's really a continental breakfast with a warmer of rubbery eggs and ham/bacon. If you are not concerned about bed pillows and you don't intend on eating breakfast, then you can't beat this place! It's easily accessible to the interstate, gas stations, and restaurants.
Very clean inside and out...Door stop so you are not banging your luggage...Bench by smoking area...Molded seat in shower...Unloading parking area by side door...High speed internet in room...Discount card for area restaurant...With 21 hotels in area, competition is severe...Trash cans out front are NOT overflowing...Special clean remote for TV...Great breakfast...Hot coffee all day...The list goes on and we will be back...OOPS, forgot to say a great rate, you will be pleased S
My husband and I were traveling from Minnesota to Florida over the holidays and stopped for one night here. We were very pleased with the hotel staff and the facilities. We became fans of Best Western on this trip. The staff seemed very focused on guest service. The rooms were very nest and clean . The standard complimentary breakfast got old after a few visits, but it was great to always have hot coffee and snacks available. Would definitely recommend Nest Western to others traveling
Would be perfect if not for the shower. It looks great but the water is a drizzle and would never touch you if you sat on the seat. The faucets have no icons so we spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to turn it on. Otherwise, the place is nearly perfect. The coffee on the breakfast bar was great.
Stayed here overnight on our way to Florida. Room was clean and comfortable for an overnight stay. Baked cookies were offered at check in. Easy access to 95. Can grab a coffee for the road at checkout.
I have been traveling to Florida for 13 winters and each year my second stop is Kingsland GA. I have tried each of the hotels off of I-95 exit 3 and finally tried Best Western last year. This is my second visit to Best Western and it is far superior to the other hotels here. It is immaculate, the entrance and lobby are attractive, and the room is lovely. The bedding is extremely comfortable.
Kingsland is a strategic stop for us on frequent trips to Florida from Virginia. Stayed here a couple of years ago and was happy to return. Freshly baked cookies and complimentary bottle water on arrival, quiet and clean room, adequate breakfast and a competitive rate make this hotel a winner. A disappointment-no fault of the hotel-one of our favorite nearby restaurants, Angelo's was closed for the entire Thanksgiving weekend.
this property was clean and we checked in quickly. We walked to a nice dinner next to the motel and got a discount with our room key. This room had only a shower, which we prefer and it was great, the cookies were also good. Inside corridors were clean and odor free.
This was an extremely clean hotel room. We stopped here while traveling to Florida. We will stay here again. The area was quiet, did not hear any highway noise at all. The breakfast was average, standard type of hotel continental breakfast which was fine and met our needs.
Best Western Plus property...meets all that criteria. Check in person excellent. Room fine...only thing missing there was rack for suitcase... put on desk? Had to put on floor. Breakfast..I go to Best Western's frequently and breakfast the same at all. OK, as part of package, but getting boring with identical selections at all the BW Plus locations, every morning. Breakfast room here was small for the property. Got full quick. Go early or late if you don't want a line in front of waffles, omelet pucks, etc. Many food restaurant options close by for dinner.
Stayed here twice within 2 weeks. Both experiences werevery pleasant. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful. Included breakfast was as expected and offered in a bright, pleasant room. Location was convenient, near I-95, but not close enough to be noisy. A pleasant experience, we'll be back.
We were passing through on our way home. This hotel was recommended by Sunshine Tours Company and didn't disappoint. It was a very nice room and walk in shower. The bed were comfortable and good pillows. It was a clean room with plenty of space as well as a big TV with multiple channels.
The hotel if very good and the breakfast was really pleasant. The room was comfortable, but the bed matress was a little too soft. The Internet was really fast and reliable. The parking was secured and well lighed. Except for excessive local taxes, this hotel is really nice. And it is 5km from Florida, not too far from the 95 with easy acess.
Clean, reasonably priced rooms with very nice decor, i.e. tray ceilings with crown molding. Vanity conveniently located outside of the bathroom. Breakfast area is small but well run and well stocked, with all day coffee available.
We can't say enough about the wonderful service and high quality of this motel. We where greeted in the Lobby upon arrival with a cold bottle of water and explained all amenities offered. Our room was of high quality and perfectly immaculate. Could not have been more pleased. Happy hour was offered including complimentary wine and beer. Which was a first for us during our travels in this area. We will make sure we plan our stay here again on and future trips.
Spent one night here. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast buffet and eating area. Nice bed and room with fridge and microwave. Could upgrade towels though, they are pretty rough. Keeps telling me I need to add more characters. In my opinion the review is thorough
The staff was very courteous and helpful in all interactions. I didn't have many as the stay was very smooth. The place looked great, and had many food options around. It is close to the on and off ramps for the interstate allowing for easy access back to it.
This hotel is was a welcome surprise. We were offered a glass of wine after checking in. It was a very nice touch after a long drive. The staff was extremely pleasant and always welcoming. Never met one that did not acknowledge the guests. This is very rare in my experiences. The hotel is clean and very pleasant. Close to a number of places to eat. It was really nice experience.
Wonderful room. Must have had a flood in the hallway because the fans are on. A little annoying but not a deal breaker. Clean and orderly. I little surprised the front desk didn't have any other help on such a busy night. She was overwhelmed with duties.
The staff went out of their way to help and were very friendly. Hotel was very clean. I admit, Best Western Plus was not my first choice on this trip, but will be from now on!! I hope all Best Western Plus hotels are run like this one.
This was a great place to stay for my husband and myself. Location was wonderful and close to Crooked River State Park and other locals in Kingsland. Highly Recommend anyone to stay at this Best Western Plus if it is on your route! Happy Travels.
The hotel is just off the interstate. There are lots of restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast was just OK....in a very small breakfast room. The rooms were clean and were a good size. All the staff were extra friendly, which was great.
This was just an overnight stop on our drive home. Was pleasantly surprised to find such a good hotel along the interstate. Front desk staff was most helpful and courteous. Room was clean and quiet. Restaurants within a short walk.
Spent two nights here while visiting the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge. Clean quite comfortable rooms. Would stay here again. Had a nice breakfast in the morning and the staff were very helpful.
We visit the area usually once a year and have stayed at different hotel . This was the best yet in my opinion . The sleep inn has continued to go down and I think it has a lot to do with pets being allowed .Of course if you are a pet Lover go stay there . I called the hotel direct for a price on 2 rooms for 3 night . The lady was very nice put me on hold for just a minute , came back and gave us a good price so I booked right then . Check-in was fast and easy . The hotel even worked it out and gave us connecting rooms > Rooms were cleaned, cold refrigerator and beds comfortable . I slept like a baby .Breakfast was better than most in the price range . We had hot breakfast that included eggs , sausage , and even ham . I would recommend they removed corn flakes from the dispenser as it has can break the flakes into to crumbs sometimes , other than that it was very good . I think it was Crystal and Melissa I spoke with most of the time but all the staff were fantastic . If in the area you gotta check this place out and we will 2
everything and everybody was wonderful the room was spotless the bed very comfortable the breafast was more than your ordinary breakfast i will be heading east toward savannah and charleston south carolina i just hope i can book rooms of this quality and comfort
Convenient last stop before SW Florida. There are excellent restaurants in the neighborhood. At checkin we were given a Texas Longhorn gift certificate. It was worth $10.50. Gasoline stations are also convenient.
I have stayed at this Best Western for the past several years. It is clean and the staff are very pleasant and easy to work with. Booking the room and checking out was a pleasant experience. They have great customer service. I will continue to book my trips at the Best Western.
Excellent staff. Check in was fast, informative, friendly. The hotel is spotless, beds comfy, breakfast full and good. The morning we checked out my husband left his cell phone and wallet , staff immediately called my cell. Saved us from a long trip that could have gone very bad without his wallet. Would recommend this hotel, We plan on staying next time we go through there. Stay! You wont be disappointed>
We typically stay at Hampton Inns, but the HI at this location was very expensive. After reading online reviews about this Best Western, we chose it instead. The cost was significantly less and hotel and room were very clean, quiet, and comfortable. The breakfast items were very good, the evening cookies were fantastic, and the front desk staff was very polite. We would stay at this hotel again.
We weren't impressed. It's okay but not nearly as "plus" as some other BW pluses. Room was small, noisy, but adequate. Breakfast room is tiny but food was fine. Good coffee. I'd try one of the many other motels in Kingsland. BTW, shower head is adjustable for stronger spray. (See comment from previous guest.)
The entire staff at the Best Western in Kingsland, GA. were awesome. They helped us in anyway possible. The hotel and rooms were cleaned. Our family had a block of rooms. Each room was clean and we all had a wonderful experience. Thank you.
Although the breakfast bar/buffet was just average for a Best Western Plus we expected better our stay was overall positive and would definitely consider staying there again. We were satisfied and hopefully then next time we are passing through that area we will have an even more positive experience.
It has been a long while since I stayed at a Best Western property. Reviews suggested this was a place worth visiting. And they were right! Stayed just one night. Friendly and easy checkin, great room, clean, nice mattress, great breakfast..a superb place for a traveler. Restaurants are plentiful around the hotel making it a convenient stop. Two items worth noting. Shower water flow is very low due to low flow shower heads. Washing hair may take a long time. And second was the surprise on the taxes the hotel must charge. Anticipate you will pay close to 18% taxes on your room. Georgia is making their money on the traveler passing through. Nothing the hotel can control. Great stop otherwise.
I love staying at this place. The staff is great, restaurants very close, and the walk-in shower is the best! There is always someone to assist you with any request and you always feel at home. Special things like cookies in the evening and an extended breakfast time are most appreciated. I am learning to be by myself since my husband passed away, but he always said that I would be safe staying here, and I do feel that way. Thanks, Kingsland!
