I stay here for a week, and here's some things: +The option of buffet breakfast is plenty so as a vegetarian it is a great convenience for me. -However on banquet buffet (on an event) there is one occasion where I don't have any options of vegetarian food despite the PIC already inform the team. Thankfully the situation was settled quite quickly by the team. So it's a win. +The housekeeping team is doing a great job, the room is clean, the amenities is decent. +The pool is nice, I love it! The view is superb. +The receptionist are quick, and accommodating our request very well. Thanks to David and Erik that took special care to do a bunch of wake up calls for many rooms, you both are lifesaver! Thanks to Sonya who are more than happy to helps us with our extra request, and radiating warm smile event on the busiest hours. Kudos! +The Barol Restaurants has great view and the cleanliness is maintained neatly. Thanks to Dhevy! -Just a tiny wee bit of suggestion, please make sure the QR code for room directory are available in each and every room :) I enjoyed the stay, thank you!

We just got back from Manado. Best Western was chosen because of its extraordinary view & location. I had to admit the view is superb. We could view part of the city from our room which is really beautiful. Enjoying breakfast looking at the sea. I give 5 stars for the location and view. Unfortunately the maintenance is so bad. We found 3 small baby cockroaches in our room. The bathroom is not cleaned properly.... found strands of hair on the drainage when we just checked in. For certain the housekeeping department needs to train their staff more intensively. I give 2 stars for maintenance. Service is mediocre. We were not provided with towels when we first checked in and it took one hour to request. I give 3 stars for service. In conclusion... if you prioritize the view and location and don't care too much for the cleanliness and the extra baby cockroaches then you should pick this hotel.

You can enjoy the sea view either in the room or at the restaurant, delicious breakfast, helpful staff, night can see the beautiful city view of Manado, comfortable and safe swimming pool for children, beautiful sunset view, recommended hotel in Manado.

Convenience for a family stay. If you bring all your family member there is no doubt you will enjoy your stay here. No unnecessary noise, so if you have a toddler you don't need to worry about their sleep being disturbed.

Sonya handle me with the check in process, everything going smoothly and nicely. The hotel is located in a strategic area, you will find ATM machines and groceries within walking distance. My room was lovely, clean and neat. I have a majestic mountain sea view. The water heater works well with fantastic pressure. Lagoon retaurant have 180 degree mountain sea view. My favorite spot was in the corner. During breakfast time, Lagoon restaurant has many various menus. Fendi, kitchen staff, has a tasty omelette and Novita's coffee was perfect one. Arya, public area staff, the kind and diligent ones. Surely next year I will visit Manado again. And I can't wait for that time to come ... We spent 2 nights at this hotel on 15-17Sept'21, booked 2 superior rooms. We were not allowed to use the parking lot in the building. Every time we wanted to enter the parking lot, we must first argue with the security guards. Building security is controlled by a team of security guards from the apartment (hotel and apartment in one building), and as a hotel guests they always says the parking lot in the building is always full (which is we found that's not true), and we have to park the car outside of the building (not safe), we complain this to the hotel but they do nothing. I think they don't have coordination between apartment and hotel. The room quite old, no liquid soap provided, we have to asked and they gave you "shampoo" (the little container was written Shampoo)" which is they said it is soap.. LOL. The aircon external unit was so noisy (we did not complain about this). TV Channel very limited, boring stations... I think its time for them to improve/renovte the room and the bathroom. Anyway the hotel location is good, seaside but no beach. lots of foods surrounding. Certainly will never come back to this hotel...

The room was cozy and i've got the beautiful view from my guest room (poolside and beach) and the breakfast menu was delicious with many choice and taste, that's match with my appetite. Totally it was perfect except i didnt have shower soap/gel in bathroom, but it's ok, i served by myself

The staff was very helpfull, room spotless as usual with complete and compliment amenities like handsanitizer, the food still make me happy at breakfast and lounge, the check in and check out express are the best.

The receptionist service was splendid and the room is very clean. I enjoyed the breakfast menu, they served it with care. Swimming pool and fitness center is good. Because the lobby is not in the ground floor, kind of provide extra security for unwanted guest.

Quick process for check in and out. Room as requested during my reservation is spacious and have great view. Breakfast and housekeeping service was great. Location is near to everywhere and have good view of Manado bay.

Staying for the first time on business trip. The room and breakfast experiences were quite good and the check-in and check-out process were very efficient. I would like to recognize Ms.Ansella from Front Desk for her hospitality and service. Very helpful.

Staff wasn't friendly, food was okay, elevator was broken or move very slow most of the time. There's unpleasant odor comes out from the toilet. There's noise from next door guest even after midnight.

Arrive @3pm, got my room around 6 pm. Elevator only 2, takes at least 15 minutes to the ground floor, lobby in 2nd floor. No refill of bread in breakfast, 3 times asking for that. Asking for take away breakfast on 2nd night, to avoid covid (terrible covid protocol in the restaurant), turn out nothing. Checked out hotel without breakfast!

The hotel staffs were very helpful throuhout our stay. The hotel provides almost every facilities from good rooms to breakfast. The swimming pool was really nice. Located just near from the sea and middle of the town. You wont regret, just be there

There are not slot of choices for decent accommodations in Manado but the best western fits the bill . A nice clean hotel that's fairly close to the centre of town it has a great pool and restaurant massage service and transport. Very cheap for what it is and will be the first stop for us if we return to manado . It also is one of the only hotels with decent views of the town and ocean !

Best Western Lagoon Manado is conveniently tucked away with amenities nearby. There is a Freshmart,Transmart for Groceries and nearby food one minute away like Guangdong Seafood,Korean BBq,Bak Kut Teh and lots more right below.Ultimate Convenience. The hotels' own Steamboat is quite Delicious too and reasonably priced. View is awesome as I got the Sea view plus Hills to my west.As it is on the main road transport is convenient. The main entrance staff always alert and welcoming. Special thanks and note to Regina,Jhendry,Angelina-they go out of their way to make you feel like royalty. Also there is a nice cafe/bar on level 3-it has great views and ambience.Perfect professionalism from Yolanda and Elshaday they will always be attentive to your needs. I think this a very good stay for ANYBODY coming to Manado. Overall its a worthy hotel there are some areas to improve but overall 8/10...

Hotel is located behind an old mall just overseeing vast blue sea Check in is a pain as group of chinese tourist always crowded the reception and the lift to lobby are only 2 with minimum carry After check in, the room is adequate in size and have all the amenities expected of best western chain hotel Bed is good and wifi is good Bathroom felt a bit cramped but hot water is good Breakfast is okay but again due to the number of tourist who talk loudly and seems always eat so much Breakfast area felt crowded but the good side, they served some local dishes Near hotel there is many restaurants that catered to Chinese tourist taste But location is very dark and hard to get taxi unless you walk to the main street or order grab Plus point : the view from restaurant is amazing

Overall it makes me satisfied. But the time to wait the lift is too long, maybe next time the service in there can be improved. I like the food, it is delicious. Anyway, thank you for the service in there.

I checked in and checked out on 14-15 October 2019. I was given an expired conditioner by the hotel. and the problem is I have used it and realized that the conditioner has been given to me. I have already complained of the hotel but there is no solution. I am worried if something happens. I will sue this hotel.

Overall very good. They have different floors for smoking and non smoking guests so make sure you ask for your preference. Staff excellent throughout and cookies delivered in room every afternoon. Breakfast was good quality, but rather bland, but due to the mass of Taiwanese/Chinese tour groups breakfast feels a bit like a cattle market and if your early its hard to get a table. pool area small but good (in shade until early PM when the sun moves around) wind starts mid afternoon during August dry season. rooms good and view was stunning (not all rooms have good views, ask for a high floor with view over the sea rather than mountain view) There is also a basic snack offerred with a soft drink/coffee while you wait to checkin which was good. Some rooms do have a slight odour which they try to disguise with perfume! I think this stems from the fact it used to be an older hotel and apartment block before becoming a Best Western. Reasonably central but Aryaduta hotel is more luxurious with a bigger pool area, better breakfast and was more central and far nearer the port/harbour so bear this in mind. Best Western was more reasonably priced on my third visit, so I spent a couple of nights at Best Western instead of Aryaduta. Whiz prime hotel comes a very poor 3rd...

Stayed for 2 nights in this hotel is Ore than enough. They only have 2 guest lifts foe operation. You have to wait Patiently for the lifts and this drive me crazy especially while you are in hurry. On checked in they have problem with the system and we have to wait for 10 minutes for them to cut the room key. No apology at all, seems this is normal to them. When they can do is asked guest to fill he form and the rules of non smoking room. For business I don't think If this is the right hotel to stay.

My first stay was on 20 August 2019 for one night only - I got a warm welcome note in my room from the management, which is beyond my expectations. The room is clean, comfortable with a good view. The staffs are friendly; one of them is Ribka, at the reception. My second stay was on 30 August 2019 for one night only also - Again, I had another pleasant stay at this hotel. Staff are great (thanks to Vano) and go out of their way to assist where needed. My friend like the swimming pool and I like Steamboat, recommended!

First timer coming to Manado, and get the recommendation when i surfing the internet. When i'm arrived at the lobby for check in, the ambience was perfect. I can see clearly the ocean view from the resto. And surprisingly, the view from the room is totally perfect, full ocean view also the room was clean. And when i search on google, this hotel is very near from the biggest Mall in Manado. Perfect location, because this hotel is very near from supermarket and cinemaxx too. Btw, delicioud food when breakfast time, especially Nasi Kuning dicampur rica roa dan cakalang. Very delicious! Highly recommended! Will coming back if i get a chance to go to Manado, again..

We love our stay here. The room was spacious with beautiful view, the staf was very helpful, and the food was very tasty and have so many choices every day. They have Bar and lounge next to the pool where we can chill in the afternoon with the view of Manado bay. We'll come again for sure.

I like this place and recommend ut. Friendly staff, nice view, clean gym and good pool. After my booking I have seen some bad comments on TripAdvisor and got worried. The staff even let me use the gym after my Check out.

We confirmed our room but had to rejected due to overbooking and when we said to speak to the manager, the front office guy disappeared time and time again! it was highly unprofessional! there was no explanation and no reimbursement. My guest was fuming and we had to book him in another hotel. We have stayed here a few times and had also dined at the hotel but this experience was so horrid! I hope an intervention had taken place.

Stayed 3nights in suite room but room was not good, 3 pm in the afternoon back to my room but they dont clean my room. The hotel only have 2 lifts but many guests (who doesnt speak indonesian nor english, but speak loudly!) Never back to this hotel. Food also not good.

We stayed here from the 7th to 9th of Aug and were taken in by the ocean view we had. It was really gorgeous. The cafe at which we had our breakfast was beautiful too. Unfortunately the positive qualities of this hotel stops there. We had paid extra for an adjoining living room form of room and the aircon in our bedroom was not working at all. We called the front desk a total of 5 times and eventually had to go down to the front desk to get their help to check our aircon. While they were polite in their communication, they didn't take our request seriously. A gentleman came and said it was ok now and our room would cool up in 15 minutes. We left for dinner and came back after some hours only to be greeted by a non working aircon again. As it was rather late that night, we endured and had a terrible sleep in a stuffy room. It would have been cooler if we could open up the window and have the sea Breeze. Eventually we got the AM duty managers help the next morning and the Technician who came this time managed to repair the aircon. We do appreciate how promptly things moved once the duty manager was involved. We are thankful it was working, however we also wasted a good 3 hours waiting for the aircon technician to arrive on our first day and endured a very uncomfortable sleep. We were far from relaxed or enjoying our stay in the hotel. Unfortunately things didn't end there, our room floor was greasy and we had to wear bathroom slippers around the room. As we couldn't have them clean the room in the morning, we asked them clean it at 3pm. They agreed and just as we thought, the room had not been cleaned, there are no fresh water bottles or towels. We called to ask if they can come clean, they said yes, again and there has been no follow up yet. There is a significant lag in communication between the staff in this hotel and it's making holiday goers have both an unpleasant and stressful stay with them. To add, the hotel did not offer as much as a cup of coffee in compensation for the inconvenience caused to us. I would not recommend this hotel. Anyone who wishes to enjoy the sea view will have a much better experience doing so in the other hotels along the same stretch.

The staff is very friendly and helpful, the facilities are still nice and well maintained, the pool is also there for the kids, near with the shopping centre, the breakfast is very tasty and satisfying, and we found a good spot for photos.

I'm quite surprised with how bad the service here. 1. Check in process took a long time 2. The room floor was sticky & slippery. 3. Towel stained. 4. Only 2 elevators for 12 floors. Imagine how long it would take to get into the elevator. 5. Bbq buffet was terrible. Beef was as hard as an eraser. The quality of other food not good either. This kind of service doesnt impress me at all. Worst ever.

Stayed at the suites! Check in was a little slow but overall stay is ok. Room is large but the furnitures have to improve. Breakfast has very good variety and quality is fine. Staff is friendly and it has wonderful view

Just checking in now for business purpose...arrived 14.50 and after waiting for 15 minutes behind other guests I was skipped by a tour group which the ladies FO promptly served. After complaim I was ask to sit wait for the key. 15 minutes later back the the desk complain and until total of 40 minutes complaining along with numerous guest checking in....was told another 20 minutes wait for the room. After tired of complaining we were given complimentary lunch by another gentleman who looks higher in rank. For a note the 3 ladies in FO fleed and escape to the back office once we all started complaining, they look incompetence and do not know what to do. This hotel really disappointing. Never have such experience at Peninsula or Aston Manado. If coming with family for leisure I will surely not stay here Btw 1 hour 10 minutes later I still haven't receive my room key but at least I am eating lunch.

Terrible check in took over one hour and we did not get our room until 18:00 hrs. No explanation. We met a sales manager explained and where sent a fruit plate as apology. Horrible elevator situation. There are only two and one day it took us 30 mins to get to our room. Room was horrible and unclean. Bathroom never been cleaned. Shower filthy and room dusty, lamp broken and only one power socket worked. Floors all covered in red grout from recent tiling and despite booking a deluxe sea view months in advance the room we got had only a small side window on the ocean but a large picture window view of the road! Reception and concierge service was non existent but the breakfast was actually nice. It's a cheap Asian group hotel and we should have chosen elsewhere. Nothing in Manado and better to stay out of town.

i dont know for what reason, they change my room to suite class for 1 night only. maybe my room not available at that time. as a budget traveller, i never stay in suite room before. it is a funny experience. haha. for 2nd and 3rd night, i stay in a room with beautiful seaview. bed is clean and comfortable. they key card is needed to use the elevator but sometimes it doesnt work. and its not just me. but the best thing about this hotel is their breakfast and location. there is shopping mall just next to best western.

Our superior room was quite spacious compared to other hotels The lobby situation is kind of weird as you have to take the elevator to 2nd floor The hotel is location in a quite dark, narrow street. Pretty scary if you go out at night There is a small shopping center nearby Our room floor is quite dirty and sticky as they only vacuum to clean the floor, mind you this is not carpet floor Our room plumbing was broken and had to be fixed when we checked in. The air conditioner was very bad as i was sweating the whole night. Hope they could improve this Breakfast was good though not a lot of choices Overall I could give higher ratings but there are better hotels in this area with similar price

This was my 3rd times to visit Manado for Business trip. This time they were provide my accommodation and stayed at Best Western the Lagoon hotel for 5 days. Apparently, this hotel is the tallest building in town, so just imagine how great the view was! Not only that, I stayed at Deluxe Sea View room which I don't know that I will get that "more than breathtaking" sea view. I let the curtain opened since the first day. The services also was great, the room service is affordable with super delicious food. They have infinity pool with sea view. The room is super clean with complete amenities. I will surely will be stayed at here again and I am highly recommend this hotel!

We got the deluxe rooms with seaview which was amazing! New hotel, nicely furnished and clean! Great staff as well. Had few issues with wifi in both rooms which was resolved eventually. No air con in the corridor and there were queues and long waiting time for the lift. Overall, good stay.

I stayed for a business trip early December. I will share the good and bad experience I had during my stay. The bad side: 1. The floor layout is weird. Lobby is on Ground Floor but the reception desk is on 2nd floor. So you have to carry your stuffs from GF to 2nd, complete the check-in, and then go to the floor of you room. Not efficient. 2. The elevator takes way too long! It's very slow. During peak hours, getting up and down could take more than 5 minutes. 3. On the first night, I don't see any towels in the bathroom, only bath robe. On the 2nd night, there's a towel but no bath robe, so confusing. 4. Bathroom shower drain is clogged. Please check room 1020. 5. No direct access to the street. Pick up or drop-off using taxi would require an entry to the area is not free. It's also pretty far from the street so I would have to walk to get to the street. The good side: 1. Simple and fast check in and check our process. 2. Marvellous view. I stayed in the deluxe sea view room. The view in the morning and sundown is very beautiful. 3. Good breakfast. 4. Large deluxe room. 5. Superb internet access Verdict : there are better hotels in the city

good hotel, clean room, nice view, good location near shopping center and food stall. Price is good enough, breakfast good, all staff is helpful. They give me early check in based on available room, although I didn't ordered it before. Thanks

Best Western Manado is located right next to Maluku Sea. The building is the highest in Manado. It is opened recently in 2017. My room facing the sea and with all the big windows glass.... the view is fantastic. I could see the mountains, sea and the famous Bunaken. Bed and room is comfortable. They provided complete amenities. When I came it was dinner time. The hotel has 1 restaurant and provide a la carte dinner menu. Breakfast is buffet with Asian and continental buffet menu. Meanwhile the distance from the airport is around 45 minutes. The down part of this property is the access to the hotel on peak hours could be challenging. Traffic can be very bad. The hotel is very close to many restaurant and the biggest mall in Manado. It is in the central of business/shopping district. If you want to have the room with best view, Best Western Manado is the right place to be.

The food service was slow, but everything else is Excellent. The staff was pleasant and kind. The breakfast was very good and I also was able to check in early. I will stay again at this hotel again if I return to Manado.

The Best Western Hotel is not a cheap option but worth. The staff speaks good English. The rooms are clean and the room service works. We enjoyed the great breakfast buffet in the restaurant. Soon they will open a roof top bar. Sure we will visit Best Western in Manado again.
