I paid extra for a superior room on the park side because I really needed to sleep well that night. Turned out, there was a big fan right outside the window that was regularly making extremely loud noise both during the day and night (like a plane flying by) AND in addition to that, a really powerful light spot at the entrance of the park is oriented right at the room window. The spot only turns off at midnight so until then it's daylight in the room and the curtains are useless. But the worst part is, when I raised these issues at checkout in a very polite way, instead of appreciating the feedback, apologising and maybe doing a commercial gesture, the staff got defensive and all I got were lengthy explanations about how “C'est pas nous” since the fan is the restaurant's and the light spots belong to the town hall… If you run a hotel where people pay to sleep, you are responsible for making sure they can actually sleep and if they were unable to because of the poor facilities, the least you can do is apologise. On top of that: -I was not informed that there were extra costs for the pet at check in which is poor information (I was only told about the “taxe de séjour”) -they disable your room card at 11:45 even if checkout is at 12…. that makes you feel VERY unwelcome and like they are basically rushing you out. I was loading the car and was locked outside of my room because of that. All in all, very unpleasant, no customer service at all, not even able to listen to real issues that mean that I paid a hotel night for nothing. Not recommended, I am sure there are nicer and better trained people in the area. Also, there were hairs in the shower and the sink.
