Best Western Plus Fairfield Hotel

Staying at the Best Western Plus was beyond our expectations. The Staff greeted us on arrival with professionalism and courtesy. Our room was clean and modernized with beautiful colors. They have all natural shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner that smells so good. The bed was very comfortable and breakfast in the morning was the icing on the cake. They had a decent amount of choices and everything tasted good. This hotel is a hidden gem in the area at a good cost. We will definitely be back.

toilet was clogged and the front desk person handed me a plunger to unclog the toilet. about 5 hours later I was moved to another room at 10 pm after he told me there were no other rooms available. I guess I am a plumber now.

We had checked in to a disaster of a "boutique" hotel and walked away ten minutes later even though we had to pay for the night (and they had the nerve to charge for two nights even though we hadn't stayed even one!). I immediately drove to the Best Western Hotel that I knew about, only a few minutes away and boy, what a difference. Professional and pleasant staff, clean, comfortable accommodations at a very reasonable price, AND the next morning shortly after we had left, I got a call letting me know they had found a precious item I'd left behind and were holding it at the front dest for me to pick up! I'm certainly going to make this my first choice the next time I'm visiting this area.

Fabulous spot to stay at in Fairfield on pleasure or business. Very clean, centrally located and super helpful staff. This is a wonderful hotel if you have business in Bridgeport or thereabout. It is approximately 15 minutes to downtown.

Severly overpriced but we really needed a place to stay. Made a reservation for two nights. At check- in I signed the paperwork for two nights and paid for both plus a $50 deposit. The next day I got a phone call saying I missed checkout and they were going to charge me extra. I said we weren't checking out until Sunday. She kept arguing that my reservation was for one night. All my paperwork said otherwise, and I had paid an outrageous amount for those 2 nights. She finally begrudginly said she would "extend my stay"... to the end of my reservation??!!! She never even apologzed. Very unprofessional

Very clean and well kept, staff was nice, breakfast was good. It is well located. The bed was great. I felt it was also a safe place to park. I woke up late and they were ok with me missing the checkout time by 1.5 hours.

This Best Western Plus is in a great location for Fairfield University parents and families. Rooms are clean and fresh. Breakfast was delicious with a bonus coffee machine (cappuccino and other choices) as well as a cool pancake machine that makes 2 hot, fresh pancakes with a touch of a button in under 30 seconds. Very cool!

Love this hotel, great staff who are always welcoming and professional and good, convenient location as well. Close to highway and eating places are not too far away as well. Definitely recommend if you happen to be in the area.

Room was next to the highway. Trucks running by all night long. Forget about counting sheep to try to get to sleep. You can just count the trucks that go by. When I reported it in the morning, the response was oh.

This hotel is unfortunately the only place to stay if you want to stay in a chain where you might have points. We've stayed here many times while visiting our daughter who lives in Fairfield. We've also stayed at the Holiday Inn in Bridgeport, which unfortunately has closed. While the lobby and breakfast area have improved somewhat, the rooms are still cramped and many have a bed too close to the heating unit. The first thing that happened was the bathroom towel bar came down. The shower curtain is too short so water comes out onto the floor. On the positive side, the breakfast is pretty decent, especially the machine providing various coffees. The staff let us use the area to eat takeout from nearby Whole Foods. Overall, I wish there were other options to stay when we visit.

I checked the room over thoroughly when we got there. the room was clean except for where the wall meets the floor. A crevice tool would have taken care of that. The bed was extremely comfortable and the pillows were nice. There was no vent in the bathroom which obviously made the mirror stay fogged up longer than it should have. I will stay here again.

The front desk clerk was a bit rude when i went to check in due to the card on file declining and said they called me many many many times to update the account but only called once and never left a voicemail and while driving I have my phone on do not disturb but the a voicemail would have come through. The room smelled like cat pee which was a bit disturbing and the parking was a bit difficult to work with but it was decent for a one night stay.

I would love to stay there again but as far as dairy free options at breakfast they did not have not even an almond milk. It would have been nice like most hotels to offer vegan friendly options as well. Thank you

Had a great overnight at this hotel. Bed was very comfortable!I wanted to take mattress home! Room was clean, and breakfast was good. They had the best pancake maker!! Easy check in and check out. We only stayed one night but would def stay again!

We had a road emergency and booked this directly and received a decent price, very helpful front desk to make reservation, check in, order pizza, etc. Our van broke down, so it was a great comfort to be able to book this and check in without any hassles.

Friendly staff, great room, comfortable bed, loved the pillows. Breakfast was okay too. 2 steps better than mcd or other fast food breakfast. Coffee sucks, got my own pods and made coffee in my room. But I'm a Scandinavian coffee snob…

This hotel was perfect for a few days and met our needs: clean, good-sized room, 2 double beds which were comfortable and ensured a good night's sleep. Close to the highway but in a quiet location. Otherwise, I found the entrance and the hallways to be of a budget hotel standard. A basic breakfast is included. Overall would recommend for a comfortable good night's sleep.

The staff were very nice. They helped with anything I needed. The location was close to a highway, and very accessible. It had plenty of restaurants and stores to visit. The decor was very nice, in the rooms and main lobby.

Dirty warren-like corridors. Narrow sharp-turn hall getting to elevation. Far too close to maneuver with luggage. Undersized room with too much oversized furniture. No maid service. Inaccurate hours for breakfasts posted in room. Dangerous uncovered duplex outlet in room. No USA paper as posted in room. No bath fan/vent. Unkempt entrances (trash, butts, cans}. Poor security. Main entrance open at all hours with no desk clerk present. Key card inoperative at one rear entrance to yet the door next to it (leading to second floor) unlocked. Other rear entrance to First Floor Rear was open without use of key card. Stairwells being 'renovated' thus lots of dust debris. Workers used rocks to prop open keyed entrances. Parking is available but difficult maneuvering .

Connecticut is still in the throes of Covid. We arrived in a heavy rainstorm and access to the hotel is a little tricky. It feels very industrial from the front, but in the back there is good parking and a residential commercial area that is pretty nice with grass lined streets, nice flowers, etc. Breakfast was OK but the hotel was full so the small eating area was pretty packed. The coffee was great. Lots of masks in and around the area. Internet was fine with no issues accessing it. The hotel is older and probably in line for an update, but the room was clean and everything worked well.

Cramped dingy room for $170 a night, almost $200 with taxes and fees and then a credit card hold of $150. Not worth it!!!! Used to be $50 but not anymore. Still waiting on the $150 to be released on my card…. Six days later

Other than the reception area, the entire hotel was dirty (cobwebs on the light fixtures, dirty carpets, etc). The decor was also extremely outdated. For a town that has two universities, options for lodging were at a minimum (could only find four hotels in Fairfield).

Don't expect to use internet while here. It doesn't work at all! Having a 3 year old and staying 3 nights at this hotel was a bit hard with no channels for her to watch and the internet was basically non existent because it locked up after 10 seconds of any video you try to play. The air conditioner in the room blew hot air. I had the ac cranked all night and it was still hot and humid in there. In September! The noise was another thing. Having a 3 year old, noise was a huge issue. The noise of the highway, the noise of people checking in, walking the halls, slamming doors, rooms above us with people walking on their heels all night long. Drove us absolutely insane and kept us all up all 3 nights with the last night being the worst since we had to be up and on the road by 530. Made for a very miserable day with a toddler! I also understand with covid, there can not be a continental breakfast, but a bagged breakfast that was the exact same every day was a bit tiring. Bottled water, oj, a smashed danish and a nature valley. Doesn't leave much for anyone with diet restrictions. For spending over $690 I will be staying elsewhere next time I'm in the area. Worst money spent. Ever.

I have found Best Western Hotels to be hit or miss, this one is a miss. We attended a concert at the Hartford Healthcare Amphitheater and wanted to stay nearby in order to avoid the 50 mile drive home after the show. Due to the extreme lack of lodging in the area we chose this hotel because the only hotel in downtown Bridgeport was full. This hotel has a very strange layout and the rooms are very small. It seems to have been 2 separate buildings at some point in the long ago past that were joined together without regard to functionality. The building(s) probably served some other purpose before becoming a hotel since the layout makes no sense. The rate of $150+ was quite expensive for the quality offered. Initially when we arrived we didn't see any glaring inadequacies but after we returned to the car for our things we noticed that the back door, which is supposed to be locked and accessed by key card, did not close and lock so anyone could access the interior of the hotel from that door. The exterior of the property needed to be swept and cleaned. There was trash lying around and a general unkempt feel to the exterior of the building as many little things were left unrepaired or dirty. The room was very small, similar in size to a European city hotel. When we opened the door the room had a damp uriney smell. The louvers on the air conditioning unit where the air blows into the room were covered with black dirt or mold. The filters were clean so why didn't anyone bother to clean the rest of the unit? I cleaned the louvers with a washcloth wrapped around a piece of cardboard which became covered with whatever mold/dirt was on the unit. GROSS! Who wants that funk blowing into the room all day and night? The bed was ok, the sheets had holes from age and the blanket was well worn and had been laundered past it's useful life. The decor was old but adaquate with a fridge and coffee maker, neither of which we used. The room had an unkempt feel with tacky surfaces. Many surfaces that required bending over or reaching in order to properly clean were filthy and dusty, such as the legs of the furniture and particularly the carpet piece that serves as moulding at the floor level. The areas near furniture, desk, and bed where one would have to kneel down to clean it have been ignored for months. This filth indicates to me that the rooms are not deep cleaned on a regular rotating basis which would be part of normal hotel maintainence. The lack of consistant maintainence on things big and small makes the whole place feel grungy. The bathroom was the bright spot as it had been renovated recently and was bright and clean. Breakfast was a grab and go bag which we had to ask for since nothing was put out for guests to take. No coffee was offered. If the price for the room had been $89 we would have expected this overall lack of pride in the business, but to pay over $150 for a room that hasn't seen a good cleaning in months and offers no amenities is just a ripoff.

We were taking our adult child to college, so booked a room with a king bed that claimed room for 3 adults. We found no couch/hid a bed/or roll away for the third adult. She wound up sleeping on the mildew-smelling floor!

We stayed one night. The carpets desperately need replacing. The carpet in our room had an unpleasant odor and felt clammy when you walked on it with bare feet: Very unpleasant. Breakfast was disgusting to be honest. Bright orange crackers and the kind of pastry that probably has a shelf life of 10 years. A plastic bottle of water and orange juice. No coffee. The young man at the desk was pleasant.

After I was discharged from the hospital, I went to this hotel because I wanted a quiet place to rest. A couple days into my stay, the hotel staff found out I previously had covid. They asked the Fairfield Health Department to confirm I was no longer contagious—which the department promptly did over call. Parveen, the hotel manager, then proceeded to request a written document from the department stating I was not contagious. The department gave them a document stating I am “released from isolation and can resume work and normal activities.” Still unsatisfied, the manager demanded me take a rapid test. The hotel did not give me enough time to get a test from my doctor. A rapid test is not necessary in these cases anyway, since it is known people are not contagious after two weeks with no fever. On very short notice, Parveen told me I needed to leave by 3:30. I did not want to stay anymore and complied and began packing and making arrangements immediately. Despite my cooperation, Parveen went back on her word and called the police before 3:00. She even lied to the police and said I kept the door open and went out. This is false: I stayed in my room the whole time. She didn't even order room service. When we asked Parveen to show us video evidence that I had left my room, she went silent. I fully cooperated with all of Parveen's requests. When Parveen told me to leave, I did not want to stay at a place where I was unwelcome and was preparing to go. Calling the police before the agreed upon time and lying to them about me is beyond rude and absolutely unacceptable.

The room had been throughly smoked in, our clothes stunk by the time we checked out. The front desk staff had no options as the hotel was booked for the night, he definitely would have moved us if he could have. I travel for work and spend more than 200 nights a year in hotels, this one is on par with the low cost trucker hotels, yet priced like a 4 star.

I was extremely satisfied with my stay. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms. Closer to university, high way, and restaurants. Stayed at this hotel a few times, and was never disappointed. I would highly recommend this hotel to other people looking to have a good time.

Nice clean rooms with comfortable beds, staff was friendly and attentive, check In and check out was a breeze , breakfast was good , Nice location, I would highly recommend this hotel for your next stay.

Was there for company work, I stay at many Best Westerns and this one was very nice. Looked like lobby and rooms has been recently remodeled and looked very nice. I am coming back in couples months and will definitely stay here again.

Found this Best Western while looking for a place to crash for the night on the way home from Maine. Always had a good experience with Best Western so we stopped in. It was Memorial Day weekend so we were worried everything would be booked. Explained we just needed a single queen for the night and were pleased that a room was available on the first floor and within 100 feet of the counter. Unloaded the truck, crashed until 7 a.m, and back out the door we went! Slept great, everything was clean and well organized. Couldn't ask for a better experience.

I stayed overnight for business in the area and was pleasantly surprised by how nice the hotel was and got a very good price. The room was clean, the bed and pillows was quite comfortable and there wasn't much noise even though the hotel seemed busy. The hotel staff was very pleasant and suggested certain restaurants that I could eat at nearby. Parveen who worked the desk was terrific and check in and check out was a breeze

This is one of the nicer best western's I have stayed at. Rooms were much more upscale than any other hotels in the same class. Bathrooms are big and very clean. Beds are comfortable. Furniture is updated throughout the rooms as well. Would definitely recommend to people looking for a stay in the area.

The hallways smelled like smoke every day and we stayed three nights. Had to cover our faces with our arms even though we had masks on. The rooms didn't smell as bad and the bathroom was fine and beds were fine. - will not stay there again.

Due to the current situation that we are all in, I was glad to see all the employees wearing mask and gloves while working. it made the place feel safe and clean. The lobby was also very nice, it look newly renovated with modern furniture, and this goes to their rooms as well. I was pleasantly surprised with my stay, and I will be coming back if I am ever in the area.

I tried to book 20 rooms here and the receptionist wouldn't even take my call and hung up on me multiple times. This was the worst service ever. What a nightmare it must be to actually give money to this place.

he front desk staff are arrogant and rude. Sadly I cant even arguie that theyre excellent at what they do to justify the arrogance. My card wouldnt go through, so I offered to pay cash, there was a 100 deposit so I handed the lady 240, (room 120). She then told me it wasnt enough and that i needed 140 more. I asked for an atm and was directed to a storefront that was closed. luckily I thought of calling the hotel again to ask how much cash is needed as the room is 120, the man who answered the phone tells me 240 and tht the woman had left for the day. I went back, had to wait in line again (not the fastest folks, but i get it, they have to be careful). when it came my turn, i asked specifically for the name of the woman as I made it clear that I was going to raise this issue, the man then turns and tells me he refuses to let me check in as I was already feeling angry at the hotel (failing to see the reason why). TO put the situiation in context, I was obtaining the room for a guest who was helping me big time for a rather important projet with a deadline so all the shenanigans was costing time which i didnt have. Not that I have to explain why i need a room to anynone or why i need it asap, but this is how they treat their clients: they tolerate each other's mistakes and fix it, and when threatened they bully their customers. Im sure ill get the stock reply from the business. after all that, I had to scramble to get another hotel, iin my hurry i backed into someone else's car; a bad day overall and maybe its my luck for that day, but cetainly couldve been relieved by people doing what they're tasked to do properly.

I wish I had one good thing to say about this hotel. I don't. It is EXTREMELY SMALL. As in, compact. There is a bed and a window. It feels cramped like a prison cell. The carpet is old and smells terrible. There is not even a microwave in the room ( To be fair, there's not enough space in this prison cell of a hotel anyway) As a Diamond member, I have 0 Perks, it's useless, it's a fancy title but that's where it ends, in the title. It is EXPENSIVE. I paid about $100 a night here on a random weekday...I could have gotten a Hilton or Marriott chain hotel for that price. There is no pool or anything, there's a garbage "lobby" but that's about it. This is a glorified roadside motel, it does not deserve your attention. Stick to a good brand such as Hilton or Marriott.

I only stayed for one night and it was a good experience. The service was good, and the room was super clean. It was well decorated and we had no issues with anything being dirty or broken. The continental breakfast was good, but not great. They had a decent amount of selection but it didn't taste fantastic. They had eggs, sausage, bacon, potatoes, a waffle iron, fruit, bagels, muffins, pastries, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, beverages, and more so there is definitely something there for everyone. For some reason though the room, and basically the whole hotel, was really hot and the air was pretty dry. You can hear the main road, but noise was not an issue at all for us. Overall the hotel was really nice and I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to a friend.

Great stay, the room service is awesome along with the continental breakfast. I would recommend this hotel to any of my friends and family, I felt safe and the noise level was low. The area was good because it offered a lot of options for places to eat, the room was nicely decorated as we had a suite. I will stay here again without any hesitation.

Had a few problems staying here. Tried to have them politely addressed with no success. Then emailed owner and manager with little help. They assume you are looking for the night comped but all I wanted was the issues addressed. They know thye have a captive group especially when Fairfield University has events like we did. They price gouge and only care about getting your money then they kick you to the curb . You would be better off staying in a campground!

Booked at Best Western as it is very close to the Fairfield Metro train station and it worked out perfectly. The hotel is nice, clean and friendly with comfortable bed and a decent complimentary breakfast. The parking for the train station is just a few blocks away and is free on weekends and $6 a day during week. A great way to get into NYC without having the hassle of trying to deal with your vehicle.

The floor of the first room we were given was in need of vacuuming. No big deal even though we found in plain view a straw and paper on the floor. We were tired. But, when we pulled back the covers on the bed and found hair and what looked to be drool at the head of the bed we requested another room. The second room had an overpowering smell as soon as we opened the door. Not happy, but we were tired so we opened the window hoping that the air would clear. It did not. The floor of this room was no better than the first. We're honestly not sure whether the sheets were clean or not, but again we was tired. And, the bathroom sink had toothpaste splattered on the wall above the faucet and spots of liquid makeup on the countertop. We've stayed in worse, but I really wouldn't recommend this hotel to others.

I had a great night at this hotel. The staff was friendly and was accommodating to my all my needs. The WiFi was pretty fast, fast enough to watch Netflix in HD. The breakfast area was a nice to also eat at. All the furniture in the hotel was updated and modern.

Stayed overnight while transiting the area. Older hotel, but ok. Only complaint was strange pillows on bed. They seemed like throw pillows you would find on a couch. very uncomfortable. Small parking lot, but ok for me because I use handicapped spot.

Small room, no big deal. Clean. Bathroom ok. Had to move rooms because the first one had a window that would not close. As the outside temperature was in the high 30's, the room never warmed up enough even with the heat on. Worse than the cold room was the highway sound that was ever present. Second room was the same size also clean. But you have to love that highway sound. Hotel needs sound proofing windows or only hearing impaired guests. Best to go elsewhere or try sleeping in your car. The car is a better value.

During our stay I was running late for Breakfast - there was a very special employee who was cleaning up after breakfast had ended - she politely informed me that I was late and Breakfast Time had ended about 20 minutes ago - I was grabbing what was available and she politely helped me - we talked about family and reunions and I was able to have a very nice breakfast after all - if you happen to stay in the Best Western Fairfield - be sure to say Hi to Liz - she is a special employee that went above and beyond to make my day special.

Excellent room, nice comfortable bed, large TV, great front desk welcome, would come back any time. Great hot breakfast with plenty of eggs, a very nice layout, good place to sit and eat. AND they had USA Today....wonderful when you are travelling!!

This Best Western is totally remodeled. Great hotel with very accommodating staff and clean and comfortable accommodations. Good location and close to highway and shopping. I recommend this property if you are in the Fairfield area.

We were looking for a hotel that was close to Fairfield University for Parents Weekend. We were very pleased with the location, cost and cleanliness of the Best Western. We will definitely be staying there again in the future when the need arises. It took us about 5 minutes to get to Fairfield!

Very pleased with our one night stay. Front desk employee at night (can't remember her name) was great. The hotel and our room were VERY CLEAN. Breakfast was good. I don't have any complaints. I would definitely stay again.

The BW+ Fairfield is a breeze to get to if you are coming from the South. Not so much if arriving from the north. Be sure to use your GPS. The hotel is compact with adequate sized rooms. My room sparkled when I first arrived, and the housekeeping staff kept it that way during my stay. Very nice.

We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is conveniently located right off 95. The breakfast was great. The rooms and lobby are newly renovated. The rooms are very small but they are very clean. Beautiful renovations!

I read different review about this location so i had to see for myself with my family and when i tell you i had a wonderful stay i mean we had a wonderful stay everybody was so nice help the front desk recommended us to the seafood place near by that place was good. The breakfast was hot and very clean area. Rooms was nice and updated overall very nice stay. Me and my family will be back.

Nice little hotel. Parking is VERY tight. Rooms are extremely small with oversized and too much furniture. And it was mind boggling to find NO USB ports in the rooms. None. Although there was an abundance of power outlets the management has not upgraded any of the outlets or desk devices to use USB charging cords. Also the front desk folks were totally clueless about the local area....the woman checking in before me asked if there were any restaurants and bars nearby and she was told "no not at this hour". I asked the same thing and found it somewhat incredulous "nothing was open" on a Friday night, but not having ever visited before and just arriving late I just figured he knew what he knew what he was talking about That said....the next day when we were driving around we found dozens or restaurants and bars that were open within a mile of the hotel (it's a college town). Obviously the clerk did not live in the area and knew nothing about it. Very disappointing.

This was my first stay at this best western and i will definitely come back next time i am in the area. The property was well maintained and very up to date. They have done some nice renovations making the hotel look very modern. I did not feel like i was staying in best western but more like i Was staying in luxury hotel

Way overpriced. This place should be 79 maybe 89 p eve. Basically on a highway so you can't walk to get food. Very, very noisey location because the major highway is in the back of hotel and front of the hotel is on a service/access road. On one side of the hotel is a business that has tractor trailers going in and out throughout the evening. We thought front desk people were rude. Breakfast was good. Coffee at breakfast was very good.

Not only was the bathroom not cleaned from previous guests. There were “feminine products” left behind that the cleaning staff missed. We were told it was a cleaning rag left behind by the cleaning staff.

Excellent experience from check in to check out. Manager i believe minnie was really attentive to guests. The room was really clean and everything was looking updated. I will be staying here next time when i am in the area.

It took a good five minutes to track someone down to check us in. As we were heading up to our room he said, “check out or fitness room.” However the next morning when I couldn't find true fitness room the front desk attendant informed me that they hadn't yet built the fitness room and were awaiting state inspection. When I told her what the guy said the night before her response was, “well we have a fitness room, it's just not open yet.” ....

I needed a place to stay for a couple of days and the best western provided everything i needed. The rooms were very modern and clean. Bathroom was a good large size. The wifi was extremely fast. I was able to do work and stream tv on my laptop very nicely. Breakfast was solid for a free breakfast hotel. Would recommend.

There are only a few hotels really close to Fairfield University. This Best Western is really good. It has been updated, barring the hallway rugs, but I expect the rugs are to their "to do list". Rooms are sufficiently big and updated and clean. Staff was very nice. The overall "hotel layout" is a little convoluted, but acceptable. Will definitely stay there again.

If you're planning to visit Fairfield University as a prospective student, or if you're a parent visiting your child at school, this hotel is a good option. It's about 5 minutes away, and one of the only hotels in Fairfield. I stayed so my husband could attend his high school reunion at Fairfield Prep, co-located with Fairfield U. It's a little bit of a challenge to get to. Due to the esplanade in the middle of the street, you have to make a U-turn, and you might miss the turn the first time. There's not much parking in the front, but there is plenty of parking in the back after you wind your way through a narrow driveway. The rooms are small, reflecting the hotel's age, but they've recently been redone and sparkling clean. Apparently, the hotel management hasn't gotten around to updating the hallways yet because they still smell of cigarette smoke even though the rooms are all nonsmoking rooms. Accessing the rooms is a little confusing because the floors are staggered so the rooms on the rear level are half a level up from the rooms on the front. All in all, this is a good place to stay when you're in Fairfield.

Very Modern With Nice Amenities. Clean and Comfortable bedding and linen. Nice hot breakfast. Parking will be better after construction. Call ahead for rooms near rear exit, that is where parking is located.

I had a quality stay at this best Western especially in comparison to other best westerns that I have stayed in the past. The interior of the hotel is quite stunning. I was shocked walking in. It is very modern and love the open concept. Rooms have been redone and are quite nice and comfortable as well. For a free breakfast they had everything that you could ask for. Would highly recommend.

The hotel was so nice they did a nice job with there renovation it actually look more bigger. The rooms look amazing. The employees was good they help me with different restaurants in the area and shopping centers. I will visit again

The room is filthy. No pool but also no fitness area (which was advertised). It is under construction but no mention of this at checkin. Charged my card over $200 for a room I was told cost $169. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

Its a great hotel with nice and helpful staff. Express check in and check out. Lot of options in Breakfast . Lot of Near by restaurant is great plus room service. Had a wonderful stay with family!!!!!

The overall visit was very nice. The new lobby looks great! The staff was more than just pleasant they were great. I highly recommend this property! The breakfast was ok and I wish they had a few more fruit offers.

Best Western was very nice place and they did a amazing job with the renovation it look very better then the picture on the website when I walk in I was like wow it was so clean and organized from the front desk clerk going out her way to the housekeepers asking do I need any extra towels down to the breakfast attendant keeping the breakfast area very clean if you haven't stayed here take your time and visits.

Traveling from Florida to Boston. Hotel is located right off the highway and comes with a free breakfast. I was extremely tired from my trip but everyone was super friendly. It was a last minute decision staying at this location but it was a great one. Next time im in town, I will definitely return!

I was in Fairfield visiting some family and they recommended the Best Western Plus in Fairfield. I was completely blown away by the friendly staff and my room. I signed up to become a Best Western Rewards member and was given a free upgrade. Everyone was extremely helpful and breakfast was BOMB!!! Loved everything about this place and I would definitely stay again!

I stayed for 2 nights for business and would stay there again. The room was very small, but clean. The staff were very nice. There was construction going on in the hotel which made for some noise, but overall, it was a good place to stay. Nice to have cookies in the lobby and the breakfast was small, but good.

My daughter fell in the tub. It is an extremely slippery tub (like ice). The tub is not lined with any type of anti slip floor and the grab bar is near the shower head (not where you would enter a tub). I immediately called the front desk and asked for the hotel manager to call me.. I never received a call. When I complained again the next morning I was told to visually look for her. The best part was when they gave me a description of her so I knew what she looked like. When I requested a rubber mat the front desk told me to look for a cleaning person (which I never found). Personally I feel management and staff should be retrained and higher management should be aware of these problems.

I had a wonderful stay the The Best western, I had my initial doubts about the noise as it is near a main road but I was able to sleep comfortably in my room. The breakfast was a highlight as the area look modern and clean. This hotel was a great stay for me and I recommend the stay if you are in the area.

This hotel is under construction (something I did not know would happen when I booked it) I stayed using hard earned points. The staff at check in and check out could not have been friendlier! The clerk at check in had a snack sack ready for us (I am a few stays away from Platinum at the time of this writing), and apologized for the mess. then, he gave us a room far from the elevator and construction noises. The hotel was actually very clean and tidy considering the construction. The room was SUPER CLEAN! If you read my reviews, you know that is a make or break for me. Beds, carpet, sinks, toilet, shwer, all just like they had just installed them for us. Perfect in everyway. Oddly- 4 pillows per bed (again, if you read my reviews- you know I am a three pillow kind of guy), but it worked. The breakfast was really the only slight disappointment for us, they were out of a number of offerings (but they did have grapfruit...so at least there is that). The breakfast area is small at this location, plan accordingly. Easy access to the highway.. A last note- the parking lot was shallow, only a few rows, but that made it really well lit. We arrived late, so I appreciated that. I normally do not notice parking lot lights, but it must have impressed me here, because I did.

The hotel is currently a mess. The gym was not in operation, the heat did not work in our room, and there were plumbing issues with the toilet in our room. I was not able to sleep with the toilet running all night and no heat on a chilly October night. I placed several calls to the manager who would not call me back. I was "nickel and dimed" some credits on the room bill after several days of calls and unreturned messages. But it's really the way the entire issue was handled that has remained unappealing. On another note, breakfast is provided which is a plus---but we didn't eat it because there were very few healthy options---mostly starchy stuff.

Our tow vehicle broke down on I95 and we had our fifth wheel camper towed to the parking lot while our truck got repaired. We stayed four nights waiting for the shop to fix our truck. The staff was great, place was clean and the breakfast could not be beat as far as hotel breakfasts go.

This Best Western stay was ok. Check in was a breeze, with a very nice and helpful lady. Our room was on the first floor, so convenient. We actually got a handicapped room. It had a spacious bathroom with a pocket door. Two windows that we had to try and "push" the curtains onto the sill so we could block the outside lights. Breakfast area was really small with one big awkward table right in the middle. The work out room was a joke. They crammed three machines into the smallest room I've ever seen and that floor had no A/C, felt like the heat was on, thermometer was reading 89 degrees. No disinfectant wipes or towels. The motel was walking distance to a few good restaurants. No pool.

staff was rude, hotel is right between major road and highway extremely loud. Dont plan on getting any sleep here if thats the sort of thing your looking for in a hotel. I have traveled to Fairfield several times and tried this hotel again after previously staying there and having a terrible exerience that time as well. Dhame on me. Under new management the last year or so and the place has gone way downhill. They don't take care of the customers issues or concerns when they are told about them. They NEVER will comp you the night if there is a problem. I stayed 3 nights and had an issue one night and they refused to comp the night or even adjust the price. A lot of great hotels in Norwalk not to far about 15 minutes. The Circle Inn is good but they price guage when the colleges have family weekend or events.

Excellent stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Very clean and quiet. Front clerk was very helpful. Only had two concerns there was no bathroom fan so mirror was foggy after shower used and I was not able to connect my Alexa to internet. Other than that my stay was great ??

Fairfield is an upperclass area of Connecticut. This hotel was in the middle of a renovation. Dust and distractions were minimal if that. The staff was Friendly. Our room was small, but we had the new furniture in a dated an older room. It was clean though. Truth be told the only thing negative I could speak of is the caulk joints in the bathroom. Being a Home Renovator by trade... those were unacceptable. The complimentary breakfast was average to slightly above. In the end I WOULD stay again.

The breakfast area is tiny, major food items not replenished from 8-9am, hotel stuff not helpful, said they were too busy although two employees stood chatting for several minutes right there. Parking area hard to find

Had a nice stay here. Hotel was recently renovated and looks more modern than before. Room was comfortable and staff was friendly. Would recommend if staying in the Fairfield area. Hotel is right off the exit and close to downtown area with restaurants nearby.

This is an old hotel under renovation with a small lobby and awkward layout. Even the parking lot is cramped and awkward. However, I could overlook that had the room we were given been clean. (I will not go into detail because of delicacy.)The desk clerk was pleasant and accommodating, however, and did move us to another room when I complained. The second room was "cleaner" -- but I still haven't brought my suitcases inside the house and we've been home for a week.

This is an older property. Renovations are being completed in the lobby area which look very nice. Our room looked like it recently received an upgraded carpet as it was clean and nice.The rooms and the rest of property also need overall updating to meet the expectation of the high price of the rooms. Also, all bedding - sheets, covering and pillows need to be replace. Despite the older conditions, the hotel is very clean - great job cleaning staff!!!

We stayed a couple of times at the hotel. It's great for a quick visit if you're not spending much time in the hotel room. Rooms are tight but functional and clean. Undergoing renovations of the food area and the main lobby which will help provide some space outside the room. Also it's away from any type of downtown area so a car is a must.

Room was small, but clean and comfortaBle. Usual breakfast offered, waffles, cereal, eggs, etc. very near exit 24. Checking was easy. Overall nice stay. Near downtown Fairfield. Just what we were looking for.

We chose this hotel because it was close to an event we were going to at Vazzy's 19th hole. So glad we did. Upon arrival we were nicely greeted and check-in was a breeze. Our room was very clean, AC worked perfectly, the living room was small but was fine for us, and the bedroom was fairly spacious. There was a small coffee maker which was great because we LOVE coffee. After we arrived from our event, my first though was to have more coffee. I asked the lady at the front desk if it was ok to get more coffee for our room. She was kind enough to give us some instead of having to wait for someone to bring it up to our room. The bathroom was a good size and you had access to it from the living or the bedroom. The only issue, for my elderly parents, was the railing inside the tub. There were no side railings for them to feel secure. In the morning we were nicely greeted by staff as we entered the breakfast area. It's small but kept clean, in which we can all appreciate. Our overall experience at this hotel was excellent thanks to their customer service and cleanliness! Will have to visit again.

Hotel was great, newly renovated lobby, everything was nice and clean and it was an easy in an out trip, i recommend this hotel for anyone traveling or stopping by for business as the location is right by the exit.

This is a feel like home hotel small very comfortable most of times. Very convenient, a short walk to Fairfield Metro train station leading you to Grand Central station in Manhattan, Restaurants and supermarkets near by. Very good friendly staff, breakfast included. Bedrooms in are in good sizes, the only negative side would be if you get a room with window towards the highway I95 right behind of it cars would keep awake most of the night. Rooms on the other side of the building are quiet.

I was highly impressed with the new look that this hotel is going for. Some areas are still under construction but it seems like it is totally worth it. Hotel looks brand new and would rival some 4 star properties. Hotel looks don't matter much if the service is poor and I can certainly tell you that is not the case here. The service from check in to check out was excellent. I was given recommendations of where to eat for dinner and I enjoyed having the hotel breakfast in the morning. I would absolutely recommend anyone to stay here when coming to Fairfield.

I had a great stay at the Best western. There was no problems with the rooms at all. The rooms was clean and im a neat freak so I was surprise that it met up to my expectations. Also to note is a beautifully designed front desk and lounge area, it really caught me off guard when I checked in

Stayed at this hotel for one night on business. The rooms are very nice but the lobby is going thru construction which is not a big deal. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only real complain is the shower in my room had very low water pressure so it was a bit of a pain. Nice hotel for the price. The breakfast was nice.

We had to stay here due to a power outage at our house nearby. Since we had Best Western points to use (we are Diamond Select members) we chose to come here. First off, the "plus" aspect is misleading..there are no more amenities here than at a standard Best Western. Second, the lobby had extensive remodeling going on, and we had to stand under a tarp to check in. We were put into a tiny room on the second floor that was musty and in need on renovations (not sure if after they finish the lobby if they are moving to renovate the rooms, but I would assume this is their plan). The room had stains on the carpet, my son had blood on his sheets, and there was lots of mildew and cracking caulking in the bathroom. The toilet barely flushed. And it was so noisy being near the highway! We turned off the heat in the middle of the night because of the noise there too. All and all, pretty bad. We were supposed to stay another night due to the power outage at our home,but we cancelled and stayed a half an hour away instead, which was MUCH better.

We stayed at the Best Western for a long weekend over St.Patricks Day. They had a lot of remodeling going on in the main desk area. The rooms were small but we only needed it for sleep and showers. It had a small fridge but it didn't work. We had trouble with the key card that would stop working but there was always someone there to give us a new one. They offer a good breakfast cold cereal, muffins, bagels, danish, oatmeal, scrambled eggs, sausage and waffles. Juice, coffee, tea and milk. I was totally impressed with everyone who worked there. Each person was polite, very friendly and accommodating, especially the front desk!

This hotel must be fairly old, the foyer was very run down, the room unbelievable small. With a queen size bed the spacing to the walls was about 2feet. The best thing about this hotel is the proximity to the interstate. In all fairness it must be mentioned that the hotel is undergoing renovation now.

Comfortable beds and convenient location don't make up for one of the worst breakfast offerings I have ever experienced. This best Western in Fairfield is well run and centrally located, but with a good diner right next door, the hotel would be better off giving their guests a voucher for breakfast, redeemable at the diner, rather than attempting to offer a "do it yourself" breakfast which frankly they are not equipped to do. Aside from the lousy breakfast, this Fairfield Hotel is okay. The beds are very comfortable and the price is right. But, it's a motel, not a hotel experience.

Went to a show at the Fairfield Theatre Company and needed a place to stay for the night , place was clean , staff was very hospitable . Had a good night sleep . Breakfast could have been a bit better but hey for the price the overall experience could not be beat . Place is under renovation but did not affect stay whatsoever. Melonie I believe was her name at the front desk was a true professional and made us feel welcome right away once we arrived and were confident that she would address any concerns we had . Would definitely stay again if I had to stay in Fairfield again

Paid $88 on Priceline express deal (2.5* Westport-Fairfield). Main reason to book this property was that I could walk to the train station for a day trip to NYC (75 min ride). There was a mixed up at check in as the front desk person charged me for the room for 2 nights (called P/L and was cleared up). Good wifi, hot water and bed was comfy. Pictures are from room 123.

We had the pleasure of experiencing Liz, who does the breakfast service and set up for the guests. She was so accommodating and went out of her way to greet everyone and have meaningful conversation with interested guests allowing all present to interact with each other in ways we may not have usually. She was a joy and we looked forward for the next breakfast the following morning.

While we understand normal operations are difficult when under renovation, they should at least compensate with a better breakfast. The coffee was weak, the fruit canned and the oatmeal was only available as instant. The staff was very pleasant. The furniture in the room should be updated.

My fiancé, myself, best friend and her date stayed overnight for a masquerade business event. Our stay was amazing! Despite the place being under renovations we were not effected at all. The quality of service was superb and we truly appreciated the hospitality.

Liz was simply amazing. She was took care of everyone and everything! Liz had such a joyful spirit and was not effected at all by the volume of people she had to support. Although the site was under construction the service made up for everything.

Perfect for our overnight stay It was right in the middle of downtown. We had a comfortable and clean room. The breakfast was excellent. The staff was very friendly, and gave us a great recommendation for dinner.

The Best Western Plus in Black Rock/Fairfield CT is my hands down my new favorite place. The front desk agent who checked in my reservation was very professional, nice and helpful. She was like a mind reader, before I could even ask, she suggested a restaurants in the area. My room was perfect, I slept like a baby. Breakfast was great, the breakfast lady kept everything well stocked and cleaned.Everyone that I encountered during my stay was pleasant and helpful. I will recommend this property to my friends! This is an excellent budget hotel. The room I stayed in had been remodeled and was very attractive and clean. The breakfast bar was excellent. Staff at the reception desk were all friendly and accommodating.

Bait and switch at this hotel. Offered. Managers rate of$ 89. For long term stay. But charged$ 149 during un announced major construction. Only mentioned After check-in. AND ASSURED you wont be affected. But main passage to hotel elevator is ripped apart and nothing posted on their website. Full rates charged claiming hotel is full on the bill charged

Clean, comfortable, but small room. Lobby and breakfast area was small and crowded. Breakfast was standard Best Western. convenient to I-95 in Western CT. Decent hotel for the price for a one night stay.

Much of the hotel is under construction. It is dirty, dingy, and has small rooms with 1970's furnishings. No exercise room or pool. Certainly not on the level of any other Best Western Plus hotels I have stayed in. Not even up to the level of a regular Best Western. The only reason for one star is that the entire staff were nice, helpful, and friendly.

My stay at this hotel was very comfortable. Everything i needed during my stay was readily available to me, and everything was quick. I had forgotten my toothbrush and wanted one extra towel and when i asked for one i was given the extra items immediately. The hotels location was also extremely convenient as it was located right off the exit.

We stayed there for 2 nights while in town on business. It's not fancy, and our room, a queen, was very small, but it was clean and comfortable at a reasonable price. Pet friendly, they charged $20/night for our dog. Breakfast isn't great, but it's free. The bathroom was clean with a large vanity - plenty of space for dob kits, etc. Decent plug-ins for electronics, and nice reading lights. We'll stay there again.

AVOID THIS HOTEL. Don't roll the dice on this one! Stayed here to try to get good night sleep on Saturday and was up all night 2am to 4am due to loud music and loud talking above us. Called desk 3 times with no answer. I have stayed at this hotel at least 4 times prior but doesn't seem loyalty is important to Best Western Black Rock. Brought this issue to the hotel staff in morning and ask for the problem to be resolved and I was told I would receive a call Sunday from manager. Never got a call . Impersonal email received 2 days later. Problem still hasn't been resolved. Received another email today due to my survey offering 10% off! A measly $18 dollars off for an entire night of no sleep and 5 days of horrible customer service! No call back from the General Manager Minnie Tankalwala still to this time and I don't see this hotel doing the right thing.

The hotel is small but very clean and super convenient as its right off the interstate 95. The prices were the lowest in the area and to top it all breakfast is included with was plenty with healthy options. ie. oatmeal, fresh fruit, yogurts etc. Will definitely stay here again on our way to New England.

Housekeeping came in to clean our bathroom while we were in the room. The woman set the toilet brush on the bathroom vanity then cleaned the sink, toilet and tub (in that order) all with the same brush. When I reported this, the hotel made me feel like it was my fault for not telling the woman to stop (where I am from, this is not how you deal with people). Very disappointed in the cleanliness and the hotel's response to this issue.

Best Western Black Rock was located right off I-95 making it very convenient and easy to access. The décor of the room was outstanding. Easily felt like I was staying at a 4 star hotel. The lobby and breakfast area is a little on the smaller side but the staff was very quick & helpful and the service during breakfast hours was excellent. Would highly recommend for anyone needing a place to stay in Fairfield Connecticut.

Having stayed in several other Best Western Hotels, I was extremely and pleasantly surprised by the quality of this one! The rooms were tastefully decorated and very clean! In the morning, when we went to breakfast the lobby was spacious and Liz the Breakfast Hostess was very helpful. I was expecting only cereal and maybe some type of fruit as that has been my experience at other Best Westerns. However, there was a full buffet of eggs with potatoes the ability to make waffles, fruit and cereal. I also like the fact that they had a dispenser for the utensils, thus no one was touching them. Minnie, the General Manager, was also very friendly and asked if everything was satisfactory. Vondia, at the front desk was also very helpful and friendly. This was a pleasant way to end our trip to New York City and I would definitely stay here again. I don't usually recommend Best Westerns and have only stayed at them in a pinch which was how we came to this one. Everyone here deserves a round of applause for their attention to detail in keeping the place clean and their friendliness!

My daughter and granddaughter accidently left 2 World Trade Center books they got at Engine 10 Station (the 1st to respond to 9/11) in New York City in the room. On a long shot I called the next day from a motel in Boston MA. The gal said let me ask the head housekeeper. Sure enough they had the books. I received them UPS today. Kudos to all the employees that got the books back to us in Illinois. It really means a lot and I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. 10 STAR SERVICE!!!! You guys ROCK!!!!

Very clean and relaxing. We had a good experience there. It smelled clean and nice. Good view of the street. The breakfast was great. Loved how they checked up the breakfast area frequently of what needed to be stocked. We loved it. We've had bad experiences with other hotels. Overall this was our best stay and no issues.

Everyone working was very kind, professional, and friendly. The rooms were clean, the staff was friendly, and the location was great, easy on and off the highway and a stones throw from and business you would need. Also you can take a quick drive to the beach! Overall my stay was great, everyone in the wedding party had a great time.

If you consider this as a stop in-between, drive on if you have the chance. This hotel is really just to stop overnight, arriving late and you expect just a bed to sleep. If you are expecting a best western hospitality you are used to from other places, this is not the spot to find it.

Amazingly clean for a bit dated hotel. Staff excellent and professional. This pet friendly hotel was very easy to get in and out of for my three-legged dog. The only drawback really was the noise overhead at night.

Stayed here for just one night at the end of a trip so as to be reasonably close to Tweed New Haven airport for our flight home and to visit MTM's grave at the nearby Oak Lawn Cemetery. Interesting find in our room. After pulling back the sheets and getting into bed, my wife discovered the TV remote BETWEEN the sheets. (A second remote was in the stand by the TV.) This coupled with a couple of strands of dark hair on the sheets made us wonder if the linens had even been changed in the room prior to our arrival. Hmmmmmm. We were tired and said to heck with it. We just assumed that they were changed and the TV remote somehow mysteriously found its way between the sheets. Lastly, they need to fix the exterior door that is midway back and near to #119. The closer is broken and the door slams HARD when it closes. Were it not for earplugs this would have been a problem for us. Given the strange circumstances we will not plan on returning.

The receptionist was extremely rude and condescending. Our room smelled and the windows would not open for fresh air. There are many hotels to stay in this area and I recommend you go somewhere else that will appreciate your business.

not good. Nothing there to make the hotel pet friendly. Not even safe, grassy areas to take our dog out to the bathroom. No supply of pet poo bags or garbage cans for our dog's waste. No grassy areas for pet to go.

We stayed at the Best Western Plus on a six-day visit to see family in the Fairfield County area. It offers relatively small rooms that can leave you feeling quite cramped. Décor is minimal but the place is clean and bright. It offers a good but unchanging breakfast menu – eggs, sausage patties, muffins, bagels etc.- which is served in a small dining area behind the front lobby. Ms. Liz does a great job keeping things neat and clean and is always attentive. Be aware that if you make front desk requests – wake up call, extra towels, late house keeping for example, your request may go unfilled. We asked for later housekeeping and a few extra towels, but got neither. The staff could use better training and learn the value of customer care. While the location doesn't afford a great deal of immediate amenities, there are restaurants and stores within about a mile. I-95 exits are very easy to reach and traffic getting to them is minimal. While the hotel is not a 4-star, it does offer decent value for the buck.

Needed a place to stay one night as driving across country with daughter and grandchildren. Night time girl helpful, the morning girls where were engaging. Morning breakfast girl was very understanding my granddaughter spilled her cereal and she cleaned up without attitude.

We were travelling to our new home, so 3 of us plus a small dog were on the road for 5 nights. We stayed at Best Westerns the entire trip because they are pet friendly. We stayed in Fairfield on the 3rd night of our trip, and it was a very nice break. We had a suite with 2 queen beds which was very spacious. It was especially nice to have a separate living room for relaxing. Since we had a dog, they put us in a room near an exit door so we could easily pop out with the dog and return to our room without having to walk through the lobby or use an elevator. The decor and room amenities (towels, toilletries, etc) were a big step above those at the other Best Western hotels I've stayed in. We also were able to easily walk to a nearby Mexican restaurant for dinner which was very tasty. The staff was friendly and professional. We would definitely stay here again if we need a hotel in this area!!

This was a very comfortable hotel. Very much enjoyed the stay. My only complaint would be the price, however no hotel is cheap these days. So overall, this was an excellent hotel! Actually, due to this hotel we stayed at two other Best Westerns on our trip.

As a businessman there are certain aspects of a hotel that are very important to me. This would include a great breakfast, great rooms, friendly staff, and a convenient location. Luckily this best western had all of those and I plan on staying here again if I return to Fairfield.

I travel across the country for much of my time and stay at various types of hotels. Although I hardly write any reviews/feedback for hotels, this hotel was distinct from many other places I've stayed. This was vary different from many other Best Western Franchise partly because it was renovated and updated recently. That alone shows how the brand itself likes to keeps it's standards high. My overall stay was very comfortable and desirable from other BW I've stayed at. In my opinion it's certainly worth staying at this property.

The best western is a very great hotel, it had everything i needed in a breakfast, a cozy bedroom, and easily accessible property. The staff is vewry knowledgeable and helpful with the area. It is also close to many good restaraunts. Overall great stay.

The staff expedited my check-in to get me to a Wedding Photo Session by 1:15. The staff person was very helpful and did so with enthusiasm. The room was small, but immaculate with enough towels. The shower was excellent with an easy control of the hot water and the tub was an easy step in due to its low height. I would recommend this hotel because it is located in an area that has a number of sites to visit.

Overall my whole experience was beyond what I had expected. From the express check-In to express Check-Out. The services and amenities provided exceeded my expectations for its value. The staff was extraordinary helpful and caring, which can be difficult to find at any other places. The rooms were very clean and recently renovated so that was a PLUS! I will certainly return to this hotel for my next trip and recommend it to my friends and family.

Had a nice stay here. Room was nice, the bed was comfortable and lobby has almost a bed and breakfast feel to it. I enjoyed my stay here while in town for business. Check in and check out were a breeze plus staff was nice as well

The room we had was so small that we had no place for our 2 suitcases. I was not looking for a suite, but when you have to put suitcases on the bed in order to pull and replace clothing and then close them and still block walking lanes around the bed. That is poor. The toilet when flushed made a loud screeching noise. We did not flush it if one of us was sleeping. I will never return to this hotel. I picked it because it was a Best Western Plus and close to granddaughters high school graduation. It did not measure up to others I have stayed in. I will stay with Marriott for consistency.

I was greeted by a marvelous front desk personnel who provided me with a lot of information about the places i can go. When i went in the room the smell was so good and the room was EXTREMELY CLEAN! The breakfast was great I had several options to choose from! the fitness area was also good. Best Western Hotel & Resort has been the best hotel i have been to all my life.

It's very convenient off the hwy for a night stopover. It's a small parking lot. The front desk staff are really nice and helpful. There is breakfast in the morning eggs, bacon, bread and cereals. Good location, easy to get to. The layout of the hotel is a bit odd: the main foyer is small, and doubles as the breakfast area. Perhaps the building wasn't originally a hotel. But our room was clean, the bed had a nice firm mattress, A/C was easy to adjust, the sink was in the bathroom with the tub and toilet (some hotels put the sink outside the bathroom door -- a very annoying setup), and the staff was quite friendly -- especially Liz! We enjoyed our stay.

This Best Western is definitely in a prime location. Right off to the highway. Nice clean rooms and very comfortable beds. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast choices. Internet speed is so fast. Definitely staying at this hotel again.

I was staying in Fairfield over Memorial Day weekend to visit family. This was actually the second time I stayed at this hotel. Overall, the hotel met my expectations of a Best Western. The room was clean, the bathroom was clean, and we had hot water. Most everything else was in order, and the breakfast had plenty to offer. The hotel is close to the border of Bridgeport, which is not the greatest area; however, the hotel is convenient to the highway, and honestly,there aren't many lodging options in the area. We paid $150/night for a suite, which we thought was a good value.

That sheet and comforter had stains and had to be changed. They had trouble understanding our needs. We also ran out of toilet paper and there was no extra in the room. The breakfast area was very small and lacked space

Clean rooms, staff was good, but very very loud doors slamming all night didn't realize we were at the end and closet were outside our room (more then likely they keep supplies there) bye back door, toilet running all night you cold hear everything above us. For the amount I paid it wasn't worth it, the stay was just to sleep so my husband wouldn't fall a sleep driving home, it would have been better to drive home.

Fairfield University parents beware - reservations mean little here, even simple requests for adjoining rooms made more than a year in advance. Don't let the Fairfield address rise your hopes: the property is a below average Best Western with tight parking, an odd layout and questionable service.

The room was great. The bed was comfortable, and surprisingly the internet was fast which is not expected from my previous stays at other hotels. The recent improvements in the breakfast area is great. Minnie and Liz were helpful during breakfast. They were always there when I wanted another cup of coffee or waffle. This Hotel is conveniently located of I-95. I had a pleasurable stay. Rooms were clean, have big TV's, and I was able to connect my Roku to the Wi-Fi and it worked perfectly. Great food choices around the area and Downtown Fairfield including Frank Pepe's. And complimentary breakfast with a fresh Waffle Maker, Eggs, fruit, and Bagels were very good as well. Staff was also very friendly, attentive, and gave good recommendations. Would recommend if you are staying in the Fairfield Area.

I would just like to thank everybody I had a wonderful time and my last couple hotel I stayed there was something wrong I was so happy I chose to stay here at this location the team work at breakfast to a very clean room can't ask for nothing else and the front desk at check in and out was super nice I really appreciate that and especially having a long day.

I was very satisfied with my stay. The rooms were clean and I was surprised by how there is no noise in the rooms as my room was next to the busy street. The internet internet was also fast and stable. I been to many hotels where the internet is slow or non existent, so I appreciated them having such good Wi-Fi.

I had a reservation for the weekend of March 24th for two nights. My 12 year old daughter and I were heading to Bridgeport for a dance competition. Based on the times she was to perform we did not need the reservation and I cancelled on Thursday, March 23rd at 6:00pm. The hotel would not refund Friday nights reservation because I missed the 4:00pm deadline. I've stayed at many hotels who allow you to cancel the day of. I will NEVER do business with ANY Best Western Hotel in my future. I asked to speak to a manager and they refused, so I sent a letter to the corporate office hoping to get a refund. Their response addressed me by my first name and not by a Mrs. I am disappointed in the way this was handled and I wouldn't recommend this Best Western or any in the future. Hilton, Holiday Inn and other hotels allow you to cancel the day of arrival. I missed it but two hours. I didn't see the fine print at the bottom of my confirmation page. That's because they don't want you to see it. That's why it's tiny and at the bottom. Absolutely ridiculous!

This was not a planned stay, but due to a snow stomr we pulled in to spend the night and leave the following morning. Nothing negative to say, this is a typical Best Westrn motel. The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was your typical fare, and unfortunately it took us a while to find a restaurant that was one.

Although my daughter and I got a good deal at this hotel, the first sign that something was wrong was when the unprofessional desk clerk did not want to give us a room with two beds. Finally she relented. Sadly, it was downhill from there. The overall property is badly in need of a good sprucing up: floors are dirty, plants drooping, elevator not attractive. Our room was very small with a dirty rug and view of the parking lot. There was a "breakfast guard" at the so-so free buffet next morning. She stood over us watching our every move. I know they need to protect against walk-ins, but she made us feel unwelcome. This hotel gives Red Roof Inn a run for its money. I would not return.

After driving home from a long trip, my partner and I decided to book a room here on Expedia. It was 1am and I was exhausted. When we went to check in, we noticed the check in time was not until 3pm later that day. Hector, who worked at the front desk got on the phone with Expedia, within minutes we had our problem fixed, and was able to check in no problem. Hector made solved our problem very quickly and was able to extend our checkout time to let us sleep in. Truly compassionate staff!

Last minute decision to stay overnight. Contacted hotel directly and was lucky they had 2 rooms remaining. Great for a short one night stay. Friendly front desk. Room was comfortable, clean. Clean bathrooms and plenty of towels. Only wish breakfast was better- soggy, canned fruit cup, dried out powdered, eggs, greasy sausage patties. A nice touch would be coffee maker in the rooms. Overall, my visit was pleasant.

Hotel was very clean. Staff were professional and congenital. Overall, my stay was very nice. My only complaint, was the refrigerator in my room did not work. Bed was very comfortable and the pillows were perfect for me, nice and soft.

Hotel was decent. From many desk attendant nice enough, but you can hear everything going on outside your room. Could be easier highway access. Just ok. Wouldn't go out of my way for this place. Bed was comfortable though.

That's about it. 5 min from campus. We stayed for convenience....and figured 1 nite would be fine. Ugh! Very small room with 2 queen beds....every other channel came in on tv; it took 25 min to check in. The free breakfast will give you nightmares.......no milk for cereal? Was woken up in the middle of the night by the room above as the floor creaked everytime they got up to walk around. Do not stay unless you have enough Lunesta to get you through the night.

Very good value for what we had to pay. Good sleep and good breakfast. Confusing layout and a bit skatchy looking staff. Was not sure if they worked for the hotel or just walked in. Overall a good stay with no problems except for a need to reactivate the room key after the breakfast to get back to your room.

Apparently, when wife made reservation directly with hotel there was confusion on email address, so no confirmation received. On follow-up, I called Best Western [BWI] national reservations and BWI: NATIONAL HAD NO RECORD OF A RESERVATION ON OUR DATE, so I booked with BWI: national. I found my first attempt had me booked in Fairfield CA instead of Fairfield CT, but I got this confusion fixed that same day. On arrival, clerk said we had booked 2 rooms, we were shocked, said we only wanted one room and showed the only confirmation (from national) for one room. Clerk said if we wanted only one room we should have cancelled the other room earlier, we said we never knew of the 2nd room. After a long 'discussion' where NO ONE ON-SITE COULD RESOLVE THE PROBLEM, we compromised to wait until morning to hear off-site manager's decision. We signed for 1 room that evening. After some time, I came to the above scenario as the likely chain of events; this was not a pleasant night for wife or self. Room was adequate otherwise. The next morning, another clerk said the manager had cancelled the local reservation/room.

Never crazy about a hotel that is next to a highway. This is close to I-95. We listened to traffic all night. The heater clicked on & off all night as well. Makes for a tough night's sleep. The hotel room is one of the smallest rooms that I've seen. The hotel location is convenient. We didn't try the breakfast. Not sure that we'll be back.

On the college tour, we stayed here. It was, in every sense of the word, an average, uneventful and reasonable stay. Close to Fairfield U,, close to I-95 and the Merritt Parkway, free decent bacon & eggs sort of breakfast, parking and wi-fi, Coffee maker in the room and clean, quiet beds and bath, iron and ironing board: This is a three, or even three-and-a-half, star stay for a good price, given the location. The staff was friendly, the hotel felt clean and we were fine. Most times, an uneventful, non-remarkable, but nice, stay is all you're looking for if the location and price are good. This fits the bill in every way.

Had a very pleasant and comfortable stay at the Best Western Plus in Fairfield. I only spent one night while traveling on business, and found it to be clean, comfortable, and quiet. Their beds and pillows are amazing. I was also pleased to see that they use compostable bowls/plates during breakfast....as someone who travels a ton, I am so sick of all of the plastic and styrofoam. I hope this hotel adds recycling bins as well.

My family spent an overnight in CT to visit Sacred Heart University. We got a room at this hotel and it served its purpose. The hotel was pretty conveniently located. It was pretty clean and the high speed internet was good. The price was reasonable. The negatives were basically the bed was not particularly comfortable--pretty firm actually It had those 4 small chicklet size pillows that were puffy but seemed mostly air. It was not the most comfortable, but OK for a short stay. The staff was not the most welcoming. The hotel offered a free breakfast which was nice, though the woman in charge of cleaning was somewhat annoying. It was an OK stay but I'm not sure i'd rush out and get a room there again. No pool was a disappointment.

After navigating the traffic on the GW bridge in NYC, we picked this stopover for a night before continuing on our way. The hotel is right off the freeway, so it is a very convenient place to stay. The place was clean but the room was so small (queen bed), that we could not maneuver our luggage around the furniture, so it stayed in the entrance way. If I was staying more than 1 night, I would have requested a larger room. The staff was not overly friendly or helpful, but there was a decent breakfast buffet in the morning and plenty of free parking. An average stopover, with pricing reflecting the proximity to NYC - high for value .

Ouch. This BW is not up to standards. Very difficult to find from the highway. Internet maps not accurate. No signage to direct guests. Check in staff gave us keys twice to rooms that were not ready. Cigarette butts everywhere, smoking encouraged by front entrance. Popcorn on the corridor rugs. Elevator location and access very poor. Don't visit if you have a wheel chair! Crowded breakfast area, poor layout. Very high price for area.

we have a very nice and enjoyable stay at this best western plus hotel . it was close to the things we visited . the staff was very professional and got greeted every time we came back to motel. the hotel and rooms was very clean . the continental breakfast was great and filling to start out our day.. the bedes were so so in comfort.

The hotel should have been priced at 69 not 186, very disappointed in the value. I WOULD NEVER stay here again. Dismal looking and certainly not worth the money. What is Plus about this hotel I certainly could not tell you. For that price you expect luxury not Motel 6!

I always staff at this hotel when I visit Fairfield and have written positive reviews in the past, and this was the first time I brought my dog with me. It was another great experience! The neighborhood behind the hotel is reasonable for dog walking. Lots of people stay here with dogs, so no one thinks twice about it. They don't do anything extra for dogs, like some high-end hotels, but dog owners still feel welcome.

The only decent hotel along the I-95 corridor between Maryland and Massachusetts that accepted pets for a nominal fee. Close to the highway, yet convenient. Some may not like it, but we could not hear the traffic The beds were extremely comfortable and the appliances worked well. The breakfast buffet was nothing grand, but perfectly fine for a hotel of this type. The front desk staff were very kind. Overall, it was a great stay.

Right off 95, safe, clean, comfortable. We use this hotel for all of our church's out of town guests. Staff very competent and friendly. They work hard to keep this hotel modern and updated. Great for business stays.

I've stayed here several times over the past 2 years and the first time I was surprised. The place was clean and the room was nice. The front desk employees were friendly and were able to give us directions and recommendations to different restaurants and things. The second time I stayed I came with my boyfriend and parents. The room my boyfriend and I were in was much larger than any room I had stayed in here before. It was a pleasant surprise, but I didn't click anything different when I made the online reservation. No free upgrade was mentioned upon check-in, so I guess some rooms with king beds are larger than others--so definitely request the bigger room if you want it! The hotel also offers complimentary breakfast. It's nothing grand, but it gets the job done. I was happy they were pet-friendly because I'd never dream of leaving the pups alone for a whole day. The building also had multiple entrances so no matter where you parked, you were never too far from your room.

We had to switch rooms 3 times... noise, no cold water and noise. We were woken up by guests trying to get into our room at 2:00 am! And then the front desk argued with me saying there was no one there... at least until the other guests came down to the lobby to complain that they couldn't get into our room! Then she just told me to "go back to sleep". Then the other guests came up and pounded on our door AGAIN! The front desk said we were in the wrong room and it was our fault... at 2:00 in the morning!!! They day manager hadn't told the night manager we had to move rooms because we had no cold water (only scalding) in our room. Then their kids were jumping on the beds and screaming at 2:00 am! I had to call down to the front desk at 3rd time now!!! After 2:00 am. Unbelievable. So how would you rate that stay?

A serious leak in the bathroom with water all over the floor and broken plaster pieces in the bathtub and bathroom floor. Extremely dangerous for an elderly guest (my mother). The hotel only gave a slight discount for the disturbance.

I am NOT satisfied with the response I received from the Manager at this location regarding our reservation. I spoke with her front desk employee and she assured me that it was "No problem to stay in room 103 suite" at 12:30 pm on the day the Manager claims they were sold out of suites. We were already in the suite 103 on 6/30, 7/1 and then our belongings were taken from room 103 without our knowledge and moved to room 106 (two queen beds) on 7/2. We were shocked to return at 7:00 pm to the hotel and given the keys for a different room and told "your clothes were moved and here are the keys for room 106" The Manager was with the front desk employee at that time as well. When we left our rooms at 10:00 am on July 2nd we were NOT advised that the suite was not going to be available. My 97 year old Dad was moving into a nursing home on July 2nd and my Son (his Grandson) and his two closest friends came from Virginia where we live to help him organize his new room. I was in Room 126 from June 29 until July 3 helping him pack up his belongings. It was a VERY stressful time for our family and to be treated this way after I have been staying for the past 8 years at this hotel was unacceptable. I even called on Tuesday, June 28th and spoke with front desk associate confirming our reservations (The Manager claims her associate does not remember the conversation). She assured me we were all set for both rooms. I know they have only 4 Suite rooms so that was the reason I called to confirm. Three adults in two queen beds is more comfortable in a Suite style room.

This was a quick stop over for me - arrive late and leave early. This is a lovely hotel - new, clean room. However, I felt like I was in Paris because the room was so small. It's right next to the freeway, so ask for a room away from the freeway. Nice breakfast, very friendly staff.

Older Best Western, so it is pretty compact. Small rooms, small lobby, small breakfast area. It is a clean hotel and the staff are very helpful and welcoming. Our first room smelled very musty and the carpet was wet by the AC unit. The front desk staff quickly switched us to another room, no hassle at all. We are traveling with our small dog and they are pet friendly. $20 pet fee, many hotels charge $75 and up. It was a fine place to sleep for one night as a stopover.

It was really fun staying here. Me and friends had a really great time. Staff was really kind and friendly. they were always available at our service. Rooms were kept really clean and organized. Location was really nice and Breakfast was the best part of the day. Freshly baked breads and fresh fruits.

Entering Best Western Plus Black Rock Inn was the best choice I have ever made. When I entered the office I was greeted with a some lovely and cheerful persons. I was given my room key but that's not the best of it as yet. When I entered the room the fragrance and the cleanliness of the room was the blast! It was clean and spacious and just suitable for my family and I. The other morning we went to the breakfast it was so organized and clean the breakfast also had a wide variety of food which we could all choose from. I loved the fitness center. It was awesome the equipments were really enough to have accommodated alimony everyone in the hotel. The housekeepers were so pleasant and willing to assist in every way possible. When we wanted to go anywhere all we had to do was to call the front desk and ask, they are very knowledgable about the attractions around it. I couldn't have chosen any other hotel than the Best Western Plus Black Rock Inn. I will return soon! See you all soon and keep being the best Hotel !!!!

This haven't been my first stay here but i just enjoy coming back and staying here the last time i brought my family and they enjoy as well they will like to come back. The staff at the best western plus fairfield hotel they all is so nice they make you stay feel like home since they don't have a pool they sent me and my family to a nice beach in the area the last time i was here i will return back there since this stay was business i really couldnt enjoy the activities in the area. But i do recommed this hotel to my coworkers and friends if they every come to the area.

If you are on business and need just a place to crash, avoid this place. For a lot less money you can stay just about anywhere in the area for less and get more. The hallways a small, the rooms are small the lobby is tiny. It has nothing. Its on a busy road and no where to walk. Its surrounded by car dealerships so you have to drive to get something to eat. Costs too much for so little.

We have never been a fan of the Best Westerns in the US and every time we stay at one it reinforces this perception. The Best Western In Fairfield was acceptable for one night, simply because the location was so convenient and there are a very limited number of alternatives. The rate we paid was no bargain, and the room was quite small and crowded with oversized furniture. While the hotel was clean, for some reason it never felt entirely clean. The hallway carpets probably added to this perception. The breakfast was just OK in comparison to Hampton Inns, Holiday Inn Express,etc., and we must have picked a peak time to have breakfast since we had trouble finding a place to sit. Overall, it was just an OK stay and should we need to overnight in Fairfield again, we would likely first explore other options.

I've stayed at many best western hotels and we stayed here because we like the brand and we are enrolled in the Best Western Rewards program. This was one of the best we've stayed in. The staff was very helpful, and courteous and they offered us an upgrade due to our rewards status. The room was great, breakfast was very good. Will definitely return.

We found this hotel easily off the highway. It appears to be very new and modern or at least really nicely updated. I really liked the carpeting and new furniture. The hallways were inviting and spacious as was the room and everything was very clean. This hotel is well maintained, clean, and the staff is very friendly.

I am a BW rewards member and I know BW hotels and I've stayed at about 15 of them in the past 5 years. I was put into a room where somebody must have died but the stench had not. One morning the desk clerk was wearing a FILTHY BW shirt. It was disgusting. So unprofessional. The other staff members I encountered were dressed professionally.

We booked at the last minute for a family of 5, traveling with a pet. This was one of the very few places that could accommodate 5 people (and a pet) without requiring a second room. The suite was spacious and we enjoyed enough room to move around without feeling like we were on top of each other. The decor and feel of the space exceeded my expectations for a BW hotel. If we ever find ourselves in the area again, this will be our first call.

Bathroom outdated and moldy, mattresses uncomfortable, hotel too close to road. It is worth staying a little farther from Fairfield if you can find another option. I would not stay here again unless I could not find another hotel. .

We have often stayed at the Fairfield Best Western when visiting our grandchildren. Sometimes our visits are very last minute. The Best Western has always made an effort to see that we get a comfortable room. Thank you Fairfield Best Western for always making our stay very pleasant.

8 employees were going to book at this hotel. Three of us booked online and the hotel refuses to honor our corporate because they booked online instead of calling the hotel. They refused honor the corporate rate for some others because there was less than 3 rooms left. They are better hotels down the street a few miles and that's where we will ALL go next time.

The rooms are small. But everything is clean and comfortable. Nicely furnished. Comfortable bed. Clean bedding. Plenty of outlets. Quiet. Convenient off of 95. Plenty of parking. People at desk courteous. No complaints whatsoever.

Very functional. Comfortable bed, quiet HVAC, sufficient outlets and a pleasant staff. A low rumble of traffic: like gray noise. The lighting is ok. Very little refreshments are available. Restaurants are nearby and you can order in Near Fairfield university

I choose very please for my title because i was i stayed at a lot of hotel for business and personal reason i believe this was by far one of my best stay from checking in at the hotel to checking out everybody was very nice, helpful and went out there way to help and to answer any and all the question that i had i was please about that i couldn't thank them enough for having my stay there enjoyable and comfortable.

This motel was a pleasant surprise. It was easy to find. Although it was right off I-95, the soundproofing was good, so traffic noise was not a problem. Staff were pleasant. Room was small but adequate. Amenities were as described. Breakfast was high quality, especially the scrambled eggs and sausage patties, which were a welcome change from typical motel bagels and pastries. Although parking was plentiful, this was not obvious from the front of the building: the motel should post a sign saying "lots more parking in the rear." I would recommend this motel to others.

This hotel smells really bad, you're nose will get immune to it as how i see what happened with the hotel staff. I later requested a room change, and that had worse smell as well. The staff wasn't accommodating either I do not recommend this hotel, unless you're desperate.

everything else was very good, Breakfast and staff were helpful. Conveniently located in Fairfield. The beds were not comfortable. the hotel is small but functional. The floors creaked some and I wondered about the people below us as we were on the top floor.

There are a few other hotels in Fairfield now, but as a church in Fairfield we only use this hotel. The value is exceptional. The customer service is always professional and friendly. The rooms have always been clean, and they have a nice breakfast every morning. Every guest that we have stay here has thanked us several times for the comfortable lodging. As the leader of the church, I stayed here personally a couple of times a few years ago and was impressed with this hotel back then.

Don't expect fancy ambiance at this hotel, but it is clean and recently renovated, provides excellent service, the usual filling breakfast in a modest lobby area with flat screen tv, tiny rooms that are clean and have most of the expected amenities (wifi that actually works, fridge). Convenient to hop on/off 95.

I will start with the pro: easy on, easy off 95. I usually have good luck with Best Westerns but this one was below average. The toilet leaked all over the floor, the beds were way too hard and the unappetizing breakfast was powdered eggs and sliced deli ham. There was no milk for the cereal. The price listed on google maps was $117 but we were charged $139 plus $20 tax. The desk clerk did not offer any discounts although I forgot to ask for one. I later asked for the AAA discount at checkout but the clerk said I had to email the manager but the manager said no. Note about Connecticut, I paid as little $1.79 for gas on the way up from FL but I had to pay $2.39 in CT. Tank up before you cross the state line.

This hotel is beautiful inside and out. It is in a wonderful location. The hotel is clean. The rooms are clean and quiet. The workout area looked nice. this hotel has excellant location on I 95 staff are very helpful.I rated this very good vs. excellent due to that. Other than that this was a great clean place with friendly staff. We would stay here again.

To keep this short, there are better places to stay in town. The hotel isn't that old, however they recently had the rooms remodeled. They are small, and despite being a non-smoking place, reek of cigarettes. I was supposed to have a wedding block there, but the manager royally screwed me over. Within ten minutes of telling me that the contract was all set, I received another e-mail saying sorry, they were completely booked for the night of my wedding and could only accommodate my guests for the night before and the night after. They also originally told me they had a shuttle, then later told me they didn't. When I went off on the manager, she tried to blame me, saying I took too long to sign the contract and the rooms filled up between when I requested them and when I signed. Her e-mails were very unprofessional and rude. I had to ask her twice not to e-mail me again. It probably worked out better for my guests though, they wouldn't have gotten much sleep with so much highway noise. I may sound angry in this review, but I'm not used to being treated so badly by such a crappy establishment. If the phrase, "You get what you pay for" is true, they should charge a lot less for their rooms. (I never stayed here. I just toured the rooms I planned on booking. I wanted to find the least expensive place for my out of town guests. My mistake!)

Located, literally right next to interstate I 95 , the hotel is inexpensive, within walking distance to the downtown It is a restful place, positive employees and has a Bertucci's (Italian restaurant chain) at the end of the driveway. Convenience stores are located at the local gas stations on the next block. They offer afternoon cookee and free continental breakfast. For the money it is clearly a good place to stay, if you drive, there are plenty places to visit in Southern New England within driving distance. They also have a fitness room, but I did not notice a pool, for those who care to use one. (I don't) If you are looking for an inexpensive place to stay outside newyork This hotel is a viable choice.

We stay at this Best Western frequently when visiting family in the area. It is always in good shape, clean and quiet with friendly, helpful staff. This time the sofa bed in our room was higher at the foot than at the head. After the check-in person came down to see it and document it for maintenance, he switched us to another room where the sofa bed was fine.

Wonderful staff, great breakfast one of the best that I have had! Rooms and grounds are clean and well maintained. Perfect wifi connection and Ideally located for a quick stop or for a long stay to explore surrounding areas. More then enough parking available. Unique layout. Well priced! Great deal

Oddest layout configuration for hotel I have ever stayed in, nice employees. We stayed in queen room very small with not much elbow space..it was neat surface clean but I wouldn't say clean. Very convenient location and breakfast was good but could be much better. Overall not bad for the money.

This hotel was one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. It is a real dump. Toilet leaked, shower head leaked, door lock was broken so i was unable to use my card key to get into my room. bed was too hard. the food was horrible. the whole place was bad. they charged as much as you would pay for a very nice HOTEL. Infact I stayed at a Sheraton the night before for the same amount as this dump. they should be ashamed. Criminal

Best Westerns are individually owned and operated and do not seem to have as much consistency as Marriott Brand hotels. Some might appreciate the character the building has while others might be disappointed. The workout room definitely needs help. It is extremely small and hot air blew on me while I tried to workout. The complimentary breakfast was nice and the staff attendant at breakfast was incredibly helpful and kind.

This is a very average hotel that is getting a bit dated. Carpets are dirty, beds are old and not very comfortable, bathroom is in need of an update. It wasn't offensive but I would probably look elsewhere if I return to Fairfield.

Clean, nothing fancy but good quality for the money. Staff was helpful. We had a suite because we had 5 people and it worked well. Ran out of hot water in showers in the morning. Very close to Fairfield University which was the purpose of the trip. Would use hotel again if going to be there for a short stay for that purpose. Very close to Conn turnpike and kind of loud.

Staff was courteous and friendly. There was a lot of highway noise because of its proximity to the highway. Room was clean, I needed to plug in most of the lamps. for some reason they were mostly unplugged.

Had business in Manhattan. Needed to park a tractor/trailer which was accommodated. Check in was very professional and quick. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Restaurants and other businesses were in very close proximity.

Stayed at the Black Rock Inn for 2 nights with my family last month. There's everything you need: WiFi, TV, a small fridge and also a microwave and a coffee machine. It's a very good place: the rooms are big and the beds are very comfortable. I definitely recommend the Black Rock Inn to anyone who wants a convenient location close by attractions, restaurant and shopping centers.

I was in the business trip there and luckily I stayed in this hotel. I was very pleased with their service and hospitality. Hotel is conveniently located nearby several attractions and restaurants. I would definitely recommended staying in this hotel. Thank You for making my stay wonderful!

While on a college search trip, my daughter and I stayed here for only one night, but glad that we found this hotel. The hotel is right off of rt 95, very easy to find. The staff were nice and helpful. The property is small, with a tight parking lot, but does have clean, good sized rooms. The breakfast in the "lobby" area was sufficient to fuel us to start our day, and the woman was very pleasant overseeing this. We would return if we are in this area again.

Paid a very reasonable price for a queen size bedroom. Everything is very small there, from the tight parking lot to the small lobby and breakfast area, to the tiny little room. But everything is very clean, probably one of the cleanest hotel rooms I have checked into. The breakfast serving area is tiny but the space is used very efficiently and kept very clean by the staff. The staff does not give a great immediate first impression but you quickly realize that they are very knowledgeable and friendly and genuinely want to help, so bravo to the staff!

From the review on TripAdvisor I expected more from this hoteol. With a rating of 4 I would say it's more of a 2. The htoel was clean and the staff freindly but the hotla is old and worn and the breakfast was not very good. Maybe they don't get enough traffic to turn the food over. The eggs look like they are powdered and the meat was grease and dried out.. The selection was very limited.

We have stayed at this hotel before. We love this hotel. It is very clean, with updates furniture in all the rooms. It is right off 95. My husband and I work right across the street, which makes it convenient for us and free breakfast and wifi is plus.

I stayed at this hotel when the blizzard happened, the front desk staff and management were very accommodating with all of my requests. I forgot some stuff before I left the house, so they were able to provide me with necessities. When I got into the room it was very spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The room was very clean and I had no trouble finding what I needed. The bathroom was spotless and the shower head had 7 different types of settings. The complimentary breakfast was amazing and fresh.The WiFi was complimentary and easy and fast to connect to/work on. While checking out, the front desk staff made sure my stay was comforting and provided very good customer service. I will definitely be coming back here for my future stays in Fairfield, CT! I recommend this hotel for anyone who needs a great hotel to stay in, in Fairfield county.

It's a nice hotel. Rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. Having a refrigerator in the room is a nice addition and comes in handy. In room Internet (Wi-Fi) always free and reliable. Good value for the price. Not a luxury hotel but gets the job done. Very convenient. Just off the Black Rock Tpke. exit on I-95.

i enjoyed the place very much the workers where very friendly and the place was very clean with a nice breakfast i would definitely go back again. plus it wasn,t to far from the city and train station if you decided to take the train to ny you can walk to the train station.

what can i say? This was an amazing experience. Our room is recently update, clean.THE STAFF WAS GRACIOUS/HELPFUL. Room was good size and bathroom and shower were very good excellent water pressure.Breakfast every morning was much better then expected. we will be staying again.

we arrive early in the morning after long drive.we request an early check in and warm and friendly receptionist on duty jessica quickly helped accomodate our request.we got a very nice spacoius room with a bathtub.the reception desk also helped us with local imformation.we would highly recommend this hotel.

Tiny room; no walking space. Clean. Everything worked fine except the heating system. Thin walls/noisy. Fitness room equipment was marginal and space was cramped. Breakfast was inedible. Lobby and exterior were fine.

Poor hotel management however the hotel is clean. Convient if visiting Fairfield or Westport. Security could be an issue as it is close to Bridgeport next to Rt 95.I have never had a problem but when I enter the hotel the front desk is often vacant although there is a clerk in the back.

Throughout my week long stay, everyone on the staff was very accommodating and friendly. I'm travelling with my cat and she, despite being timid and shy, was so comfortable that when housekeeping came into the room she kept calm:) The room was well setup, quiet and clean. This location is easily accessible to I-95, local restaurants and market places. I really enjoyed the breakfast buffet and especially using the internet (although the chairs didn't rise high enough to use the keyboard on the counter so I had to put it in my lap). Overall this location and staff deserves an excellent rating.

We have been guests atBest Western in Fairfield for the last 5 years....The rooms are very clean, the staff is very helpful and ready to attend to all your needs. Needless to say we feel like home away from home....

Built for business travelers. No amenities. No gym or swimming pool. Two computers just off the main lobby. Breakfast is cold cereal. Though there is a wonderful "Waffle Lady" who is pleasant and accommodating. What you basically get is a comfortable, clean bed, a shower, and a roof over your head. The walls are paper thin. One can hear noise from the guests in other rooms. Also, the hallway noise - guests going to and from their rooms - is annoying. The carpet in my room needed vacuuming. The hotel is also understaffed. When I arrived, there was no one at the front desk. No bell with which to call for a staff member. Several minutes passed before the desk clerk arrived, apologizing for making me wait. She was helping another guest with a problem. But it was disconcerting to arrive at a hotel and find no one around. If I'm in the Fairfield, CT. area again, I will look elsewhere to stay.

The hotel was charming and clean and the staff friendly but the bed was uncomfortable and the pillows way too small. Woken up by a barking dog nearby and you could hear the people above and next door.

The outside of the hotel is very well kept. The lobby and the front desk are a lot smaller than I am use to seeing. Breakfast is the same as others except the scrambled eggs were stuffed with cheese and hard as if they were sitting for a while, even though I went at 6:30 am. The halls are small going to the rooms. The rooms are half the size I am also use to. You have about three feet around the bed where the desk, and TV consoles are. The bathroom was nicely decorated and looked new, it was more spacious than the main room. The heating/AC unit was very noisy and kept waking me up every time it turned on. The TV was large but nice for the room. The staff when I checked in was very friendly but the staff during and check-out was something to be desired. The parking is tight in front but there is parking in the back but no cameras that I could see. There was a pot party on my floor so strong for three hours that I was choking in my room with the fan on high and a towel on the bottom of the door.

Normally best westerns exceed my expectations as they can look older on the outside, but then you find a gem on the inside. This one looks nice on the outside, but the inside was old. The sheets were scratchy which was odd. The only recent update was granite in the bathroom, everything else was dated. I also thought the price was high for what you got. We were only here for one night, but it was below my expectations. Would stay somewhere else next time.

the back entrance into the hotel would not lock. anyone off the street could enter the hotel at any hour of the day without a key and then have access to an unlocked room door. i called the front desk about this issue but nothing was done to correct it during my 7 day stay.

We have stayed at this hotel before a few times. We have had a great time. The hotel is very clean. The staff is very friendly. The location is very close to highway. easy access to the Bridgeport Hospital.

I don't usually write bad reviews, but I was perturbed by my experience with black rocks front desk attendant today. I stay T the black rock several times a year during visits to family, and my experience here has been positive. The rooms are a good size and comfortable and the place is clean. The location next to the highway is ideal. My issues with this location have been billing mistakes up until today. However, today, when I called to request a specific room I was met with a "huff" and a dropping of a phone down hard enough that I heard it bounce on what I assume is the desk. When I wasn't able to provide the specific room number, I was greeted with a rising voice and obvious impatience. When I thanked the young lady for trying to help me, she hung up. No thank you, no goodbye, nothing. I find this to be insanely unprofessional and as a frequent traveler and guest of several hotel chains, I can honestly say I've never received such rude behavior from a front desk staff.

I could not have been more pleased with the bestwestern blackrock, after checking out earlier than planned across the street at the Best Western blackrock The rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff is professional and attentive. The property is well maintained. My wife and I will definitely be back though! Keep up the good work!. breakfast was great too

I want to commend Vondia at the front desk for giving me some extra help while I was trying to put an app on my phone. She solved my problem, and was very kind to do so. I also want to commend Liz for the nice job she does with the breakfast. Liz was very friendly and the food area was super clean. We would definitely stay there again!

Close to shopping, eating, Metro North and route 95. I stayed during Parent's week-end at Fairfield University. Rate was very reasonable (and they applied my AARP discount). Even my picky daughter was impressed with the quality of the room and all of the amenities. I highly recommend it. Reservation over the phone was fast and courteous. Even though the internet said not room were available, when I called they were able to find me a room.

Everything was great at this hotel from start to finish! Check-in went very smoothly. The front desk staff was very helpful helpful The rooms and hotel was quiet despite appearing to be near highway . Breakfast was a good and extensive Couldn't do better for the price.

The hotel offered enough space and cleanliness for my family of 4. We would stay here again if we choose a college nearby.and if we are heading in this direction again. The breakfast choices were numerous for all tastes.

Stayed at the BLACKROCK INN while up on a visit to NY Amazing location, hotel and staff. I've stayed before and the recent changes look really nice. Staff here is always amazing. I missed my normal breakfast in this trip but the others where ok. FD staff is always great and very accommodating. Thanks for another great visit and experience.

this is my third stay here at this hotel The rate for staying here is a great value. I really enjoy staying at this Hotel. It is close to shopping, dining and entertainment. The management and staff are always helpful. The rooms are always clean and stocked.

All I have to say is that the experience was terrible. The manager Minnie Patel is rude, unprofessional and does not need to be in this business. Run as fast as you can from this place and head over to the Fairfield Circle Inn which is down the street.

2nd time staying at this Best Western and both times it was an excellent experience. My husband asked for restaurant choices which were "non-chain" at check-in and we were given a terrific selection - it was a big hit!!!!!

I found this hotel to be centrally located for me as I needed to be at the Webster Bank Arena for an Expo on a Friday and Saturday. It was only 10 minutes away, easy on and easy off of the ramps to the hotel and to the Arena. Restaurants close by and within walking distance.

This Best Western was not what I expected. The reception and check-in was not ready and had five or six people waiting for the housekeeping to check rooms, and it was already 10pm. when I got there. Lobby and breakfast area quite small and cramped. Rooms very close to several highways, kind of noise at night. At 2am a guest in the upper floor decided to move around for about and hour of constant walking here and there. And the worse, I left a charger in my room, so I called the front desk to report it and tell them where it was left exactly, but they said nobody saw it, which for me is a lie. Someone took it, probably housekeeping.

We have stayed in this hotel several times on our visits to Fairfield, CT. The rooms are large, very clean and comfortable. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The location is a tight squeeze for parking, but we have learned to enter and exit the parking from the rear side street.

I stayed at the Best Western Black Rock Inn because it was close to friends I was visiting, but that's about all that recommends it. The check in was extremely slow and not particularly friendly. The clerk claimed the computer kept freezing up. The room was adequate, but extremely small, i.e., the size I would expect at a mid-priced hotel in downtown Manhattan. The mini-refrigerator looked pretty, but was completely non-functional. The WiFi was spotty at best and worked only for short bursts before quitting (hence the check in problem?). I ended up checking my email on my phone. Overall, the motel served it's purpose, but little more.

We were impressed with the size of the room- great for our family. Beds were comfortable and room was clean. Breakfast was very good. nice new furniture and carpet and room was recently renovated , Would recommend this hotel without hesitation.
