"If the heater / AC and TV was working it would be nice hotel"

On a hot day AC is a must the unit itself stoped working a bunch of times as i only was there for less then 8 hours would not go back bad tv had snow all over it and after i called to fix it still not working

My whole stay was full of surprises and disappointments. When I got the room I was surprised that the bathroom was outdated, they advertise for the room as king room with Spa, which was more expensive, and I ended up with an outdated pink hot tub and bathroom from the 70s I was also surprised from the window view which was blocked with concrete and a fire escape Ladder like a basemet. The second day, I was surprised to see a Small breakfast area only 6 Tables No coffee, no food were available, management was overwhelmed and kept apologizing The third day I wanted to print a document and was surprised that there was No toner in the printer The fourth day, I got the same answer about the toner in addition that the owner ordered the toner, but it didn't arrive yet. During my whole stay, The Hotel was Under Staffed, the front desk employee makes everything by himself the last 2 days there was No hot water in the hotel without any previous notice, when I called the front desk, they said sorry for the inconvenience They Should install a key reader on the back door instead of having to go all the way around the hotel to get to the room, or having to wait for someone coming out of the back door to open for you. After repetitive poor services and disappointments, I was promised a 15% discount on my bill, which I never got. They have no fitness center room They have no washer and dryer (Laundry) room

Our Apologies to you for not providing you with a better stay. We have recently renovated our breakfast area and are still implementing best practices for optimal versatility. The hot water issue was due to a small gas leak in the area and safety officials did have to shut off gas to the building for a period of time. Toner has been delivered and printers up and running. Bright and very welcoming. Very close to highway entrance . Hotel was clean and fresh smelling . My wife has a great sniffer ! Room furnishings, carpets seemed new and the bathroom was clean.This room also offered two separate sinks which works well for me and my wife. I would stay here again !

We have stayed here before and although we have the impression it's always under renovations, it's very clean. The rooms are comfortable. I find the staff are a little unfriendly. If you call asking for a corporate discount they right away say they have no rooms. Call back, ask if there are rooms for that night and then don't mention you want a corporate or other discount until the end of the conversation or they will claim there are no rooms! Defy's logic but they want to sell the rooms at top price first. This is the second time I've been here that the coffee machines aren't working for breakfast and the room is so tiny where they put the food it's all congested and hard for the guests to get their food.

When I checked in on July 26, 2018 around 6:30 PM and went to my room I found that the heating/airconditioning unit had no control panel. The next room had the panel, but it did not work, the next room was not made up. Finally room 4 was OK but the table lamps and alarm clock were unplugged. The next morning there was hardly any food in the breakfast room even though I arrived over an hour before they stopped serving. To make matters worse, when I returned to my room the evening of July 27 at around 9:45 PM there was no power except for the ceiling lights, i.e. no light in the bathroom, no A/C. By the time I checked out on July 28, power had not been restored. I was never given a satisfactory answer about the power failure. Rumor had it that the electric bills had not been paid. The only good thing I have to say is that I was not charged for my stay, but I will never return to this Best Western which should not be allowed to operate under the B-W flag.

The bed was excellent, I slept better than I do at home. The breakfast was good especially if you were in a hurry. The parking was adequate. The property was undergoing some major renovation while I was there. It did not disturb me in my room, only when I was leaving to go somewhere

I've stayed here several times while visiting relatives. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the king size beds are soooo comfortable. Breakfast leavs something to be desired, though - skip the pancakes and opt for eggs. I wish they had fruit available.

They have a group of rooms unavailable because of broken air conditioning that are still able to be booked online. The manager has told staff to tell customers that they are fully booked. I was told that my booking didn't even go through, which I think was untrue based on what the booking site told me. I didn't find this out until after I got there and had paid for my room. They didn't offer to help me find another room, and there was almost nothing available in the area by the time I got there. They need to do a better job coordinating with booking sites and contacting paying customers if they can't provide them service.

"Clean, great room, nice staff"

Enjoyed a one night stay here. The room was clean and spacious. Easy parking, free wi-fi and free breakfast. Breakfast was ok. Staff were very helpful. Convenient location right next to Target and within reach of nice restaurants. I fully recommend this place.

The room was fine. It was clean and had air conditioning. We were lucky. We got a room on the 1st floor. Only floor with working air conditioners. It was the hottest day of the spring. The free breakfast sucked.The area was filthy with ants all over the counter. The chairs were nasty - full of stains.The decaf coffee was listed as regular. The juice dispenser didn't work. All 3 choices looked like water. This is the third year in a row we have stayed here and it will be the last.

"Clean, well cared for hotel"

My friends and I booked a couple of rooms here after we realized the hotel we had originally booked was filthy. This is a nice hotel - the rooms were very clean, breakfast was average or a little above-average for this type of hotel, staff were very helpful. There was an issue with the toilet in my room - seat wasn't secure. I notified the front desk clerk as we were leaving for the day and it was fixed when we got back. The only complaint I have is that when we called about this hotel we were told there was a refrigerator and microwave in each room. None of the rooms had a microwave - you had to use the one in the lobby; and my friends ended up not having a refrigerator in their room. I told them to insist one be brought up but they decided it wasn't a big deal for them. After the dump we had been in before this, this hotel felt luxurious so we really couldn't complain about anything! If I'm ever in the area again, I'll stay here.

Third time staying at the BW for business on an extended stay. Excellent location. easy on/off from highway and excellent options for food and conveniences close by. Despite some initial issues (problem in 1st room) Had requested lower floor room but due to an issue in the room after I had already got to it I was moved to 3rd floor, unfortunately in that new room bedside lamp wasn't working, requested service, went out, came back and still hadn't been seen to. Unfortunately the bulbs that were on hand weren't the right ones, finally I just used a different lamp. Unfortunate but I know the staff tried. Building is currently under renovation in lobby so entrances and exits a bit tricky bit nice to see the hotel making improvements. Staff very friendly and hospitable. There was a local tornado during the stay which was devastating to the nearby area so hotel was full. Also must add that there have been significant improvements made to the complimentary breakfast than on previous visits. Healthier options and a nice assortment of both hot and cold options. Was very nice to see this and also a dedicated staff member to ensure everything was available. Complimentary tea/coffee in lobby nice touch 24/7. Housekeeping very efficient and rooms clean. Excellent mattress and bedding. And toiletries replenished every day. Convenient to also have microwave and mini fridge. There are several adjacent hotels in the area and having stayed at several, I have found the Best Western to be the best and with the most amenities and excellent staff.

Nice check in, pleasant people; Building was in middle of updates, but areas were clean; Wonderfully comfortable bed!!nBreakfast was ok, basics all there, coffee, juice, eggs, etc. with a nice clean area to sit at. Staff very helpful, when asked for directions to our next destination. If every in the area again, will definitely stay there again.

We made reservations well in advance and that was a good thing because two tornadoes hit towns nearby and all the hotels were packed. All of the staff (even though very busy) were always polite and kind. The hotel was clean and I thought nicely decorated..but...there was construction going on which made exiting and entering a little trickier and a bit noisy at times. Breakfast was adequate with both cold and hot options. The one thing I did like was the large size of our room. This is important when traveling with children and needing room for porta-cribs and such. They were very kind when I asked for extra bedding to put on the traveling bed we brought for our son. All in all not bad.

There was no AC in our room and no response from the braindead front desk. No security, I was give keys to occupied rooms. The people in the rooms were shocked. No light bulbs and I told the front desk i would come down and get them, he said he would call back inn 1/2 hours...never did, front desk has no response to anything. Then he said they didn't have any bulbs, i asked for a lamp ad he said he would send one and never did. He looked high. No garbage cans in room. Room in disrepair. Not a senior friendly place. I had stayed there about 5 time in the past...never again

We found the room very clean and service terrific. The service at check in was very good and the room was quiet and clean. Overall everything we had a good experience. The staff was firendly and the other guests were all considerate.

Our car broke down on a trip from way Eastport in downeast Maine to Raleigh NC, and the best Western was 1/2 a mile away, and had a room where we could squeeze in 4 adults and a 10 year old. We were so thankful.

Arrived at 10:45 pm to check into a room where someone decided to crap in the sink. Waiting to hear back from manager. Room 109. What a crappy place! Literally!!! So upset that they would actually not have seen this prior to booking. I'd better hear back soon

Enjoyed a one night stay here on way out of NYC on April 1, front desk went out of their way for me, room was clean and spacious, room to spread out a bit, easy parking and access, convenient location right next to Target and within reach of restaurants. Fully recommend this place.

I like staying here because of the location and I have never had a problem with the cleanliness. The staff is very nice and helpful. This hotel is a great value and I will stay here again. I have tried other hotels in the area that cost more but they are not as clean.

Room given had no heat - the unit looked like it had stopped some time ago, toilet was in need of repair, internet was not acceptable. The shower head was installed so that one had to stand against the back wall to get water and there was no shampoo in the room. Desk personnel helped by bringing a space heater and because the hotel was full we could not get an alternate room.

"Do not recommend"

I stayed at the BW Saturday night Feb. 24 expecting it to be the same place it was when it was the Berkshire Inn...which was a clean, safe, quiet hotel we could consistently count on when we made the trip to Bethel to visit extended family. So much has changed now that it became the BW Bethel / Danbury. At 2am we were awoken to the smell of marijuana all throughout the 2nd floor. Young adults where in and out of rooms and talking in the halls like it was a resort casino. Our window didn't open so waiting for the odor to dissipate was horrendous. If it were not for the time we would have packed up and left on the spot. To make it worse there was little response from management when we called. The Police arrived at one point so apparently we were not the only ones who were awoken. The next morning I overheard other visitors saying at checkout that it was their last time staying there as well as the hotel has turned into a party spot / place for rowdy guests more than a reliable hotel. We will not be returning.

I would like to apologize on behalf of all the staff of the hotel. We tried our best to sort out the problem, the police were not able to confirm the smell being marijuana however we did charge multiple guests with a $100 smoking in room fee. We have this fee in place to use as a deterrent to prevent such things from happening. This does not happen frequently and does not represent our hotel or the Best Western brand standard. I invite you to come back in the future and stay at a reward member rate.

Room 1 had an overwhelming urine smell. Told management, and moved to room 2, which had no heat. Room 3 had dirty sheets with brown stains and bugs. Owner was supposed to call multiple times, but did not. No help, no compensation. Worst stay ever!

"Undergoing repairs apparently"

First room had no heat. It was about 35 degrees in the room. Heater was broken. Man at desk was gracious about it but woman acted like I was lying. I asked her to come show me how to turn it on then as I unplugged and plugged it back in to no avail but she wouldn't. Next room had heat but also black mildew/mold under the rim of the shower wall which was directly next to your head if you took a bath. Not very appealing. No shampoo, just two bottles of conditioner, one with an old, must have gotten wet, worn label. Internet worked perfectly with no issues. Beds appeared clean and comfortable. Breakfast was average. Man offered me express checkout upon checkin which I accepted but when I dropped my key off the next morning the woman said that this location didn't have express checkout (???). Will be returning in a few days but will stay at a neighboring hotel as the prices are all comparable.

"This place has been allowed to become a dump"

We had stayed here several times when we lived in CT while work was done on our house. So when we went to CT in December we booked a room here. I could not believe how bad this place has gone downhill in the past 15 months. When we checked in we has an alarm sounding from an electrical closet across the hall. We made the desk aware of that as we went out for the day. That evening when we returned the alarm was still sounding, this happened the first five nights of a seven night stay. The new air conditioner unit in our room did not work but there was an older unit on the side wall that functioned poorly. We were unable to adjust the temp, either the room was freezing cold or roasting hot. It snowed the second day we were there and they plowed the driveways only, the sidewalks and parking spaces were left unattended to the entire time we were there. When they plowed they left ice on both sides of the covered entry way, making any attempt to get to the front door an extremely slippery excursion. We advised them of this hazard but it remained this way until the sun finally melted the ice. On the last day I needed to print airline boarding passes, but the printer had no cartridge. I asked the girl at the desk if this would be corrected by that evening and she stated no, that the cartridge was not expected for days. I did point out that there was a Staples about 1/2 mile down the road. We found that the housekeeping staff helped themselves to food and water from our fridge and were brazen enough to open sealed packages of snacks that were left on the desk. The second day we found a twisted cone of toilet paper stuffed in the peep hole on the inside of the door to our room. I guess they didn't want to take a chance of someone seeing what they were doing in our room. There were people who had dogs staying in their rooms. The entire staff was rude with the exception of the woman in charge of the breakfast area, who was extremely pleasant. If there was a zero option I would rate this place at zero.

Stayed here on our way to Florida. Lovely, clean, friendly staff, great breakfast. If you are travelling through the area and are looking for a great place to stay - this is it. Reasonably priced and a quality stay, Just off the highway, very accessible.

"18° outside, heater thermostat display inop, hole in the outside wall where unit was"

This place is a dump charging full price for rooms which are in the middle of a HVAC replacement which apparently has been going on for months with little progress. Having a large hole covered with cardboard where the HVAC unit used to be was absolutely bizarre. With the outside temperature at 18°F and falling we just hope the it doesn't get worse.

The hotel is getting old. Needs an upgrade. Not sure if we will stay here next year. I will look at other options. Normally I try to stay at a BW. I rate this hotel as average at best. Price is okay. Location is good and easy to get to. Breakfast was okay. No selection of yogurt. Seems this place has been neglected since the first time we stayed there 2 years ago.

"You get what you pay for"

I just spent 4 days here working an event in the area. The first floor rooms have serious issues. If you dont want to look at the highway and noisey road, the other side has you looking out at a concrete wall with a rusty ladder. These rooms have these as the hotel is built into the hill . Its creepy and depressing. When we checked in, the girl at the front desk barely spoke english, had NO idea where to find our reservation and was wearing sandals with pajama pants. I understand its the Best Western, but at least wear jeans! The breakfast is so so. The room was clean but under the windows, they have a big piece of cardboard hiding the old AC units and is taped up with blue painters tape.

When we arrived at the hotel, the lady who did the check-in was quite unfriendly. In our reservation we asked for a room on the other side of the heavy trafficked highway. What we got was a noisy room. When we asked for a quiet room they eventually managed to put us in another room away from the road. The room then was spacious. The location of this hotel is convenient. The breakfast was good. The breakfast room was bright and nice to sit there. Contrary to check-in the check-out staff was very friendly.

room was clean, breakfast offerings were great for a quick easy breakfast. heat didn't work well, was told heat was having issues in hotel and my room was one of few that had some heat. Back door from parking lot was not locked it was open for whoever felt like walking in.

"They have problems"

Out room lacked heat (technically there was a small electric space heater, but we were not going to leave it on while sleeping) and no working TV with no follow up by the manager. I left a message for the manager, but no call. Called again and was told she would speak with the owner. No return call. Room was clean, breakfast was available, but eggs were terrible. My wife said, “Never again for this hotel or the chain.”

"Welcoming Basic Hotel"

This hotel was easy to locate from the main road with a large sign. It is found next door to the Target, and a Walmart is about 5 mins up the street. The highway is easily accessible from here. The front desk staff were all pleasant, from start to finish. Every person answered our questions politely, and tried their best to accommodate our needs. The ice machine didn't work for one night, but was working the following day. Their was only 1 trashcan in the room. The faucet in the bathtub got stuck, and we almost couldn't shut the water off. The shower head was hard to adjust, and went from 'power washer' mode to half spray/'half dribble' mode. The hallways were extremely warm, and came across as stuffy feeling. Lastly, there is no pool...or workout facility. I would recommend booking through a 3rd party site for a discount here. Otherwise, I don't feel the posted prices are worth it based on the lack of amenities. With that being said, I will note there was breakfast avaliable. It was hot items, as well as cold cereals and a juice machine. The pleasant personalities made up for some up the short comings. The main thought on returning would be; comparing if there were hotels in the area that had a pool and similar pricing.

If you can look over a few minor issues, although there are corrective fixes in place to cover for the issues, it was actually a really nice hotel. Slept like a rock, hotel was nice an quiet even given a large party of young high school students were in the hotel. Room was clean and well appointed. Staff rocked!!

"Not your typical Best Western"

I stayed here over the weekend during a recent business trip. The hotel itself is very dated. From the outside in is not what I usually encounter with staying at a Best Western. Parking is extremely limited so get here early. there is a nice Italian restaurant across the street that has great food.

A trip to the Bates Motel would have been more enjoyable than this poorly managed joke of a Best Western. Stay here if you like bed bugs, Noisy air conditioners and extreme road noise, not to mention the multiple mechanical failures in the bathroom including electric plates falling off, unmoveable shower head that sprays water all over room and housekeeping that doesn't care about what they do. This was the worst best western we have ever stayed at. Breakfast was on par with Econoldge. Disgusting

Horrible service by hotel desk. Room had no heat. Was not made aware that a new heating system was being installed at the time the reservation was made nor at check and that the heat would not be turned on until Oct 31, 2017. I now have a cold. Check out clerk was very arrogant. Very dissatisfied.

Hard to get to in the first place but that's not the issue. First off, ice machine on the second floor was out of order with a sign " Sorry....blah, blah". Don't sign it, fix it. Second, the key entry to the back door didn't work making you walk around to the front every time you left. I told the front desk about it and I got....." Yeah, it does that ". What? Really? Don't brush me off.....Fix it! Now, the breakfast area is very small and not maintained very well, low on items, etc. and to top it off the coffee machine was broken.....and signed.....so coffee was dispensed from two pots. FIX IT!! While I'm at it, a waste basket sat in the hallway with trash in it for at least a day. I saw the maid walk by it a number of times and ignore it. This place has a serious owner and/or management problem that BW needs to address.

"Unexpected quality"

Unexpected because Bethel is not a major destination. More of a drive by or drive through thus the surprise. Very clean, well appointed you do need to pay attention to directions. Not an easy on/easy off location. There is a lack of restaurants but Stony Hill Diner is more than adequate. A short uphill walk it will bring back pleasant memories for certain generations while showing others what they missed. Great food. This BW certainly meets the standards for this chain. You will enjoy it.

This BW is a nice hotel. Rooms and baths are well kept and it was nice a d quiet. Though close to the freeway, it didn't bother us. The breakfast bar is standard except they have an automated pancake machine (instead of the normal make-your-own waffles) which we enjoyed as a change.

Front desk checkin person was very curt, unsmiling. basically told me to suck up the broken hvac and phone...she could. then said she had no rooms. when I said I would take it up with corporate since my last 3 stays had been fine, she suddenly found a room on 3rd floor and commented that I said I didn't want anything but the second. I had not! This hotel has gone way done in customer service and rooms that don't have some issue with them.

So this is the second time this year we have headed to an event in NY. We found this hotel on the BW site with reasonable rates compared to everything else closer or into NY. There are no frills here like a pool and stuff but we didn't need any of that. Perfect place to crash for the night and get a decent breakfast. Rooms are surprisingly big for the price and have everything those just passing through would need. We will be back twice again next year. Thanks BW

We only stayed 1 night...it was great! Very friendly and welcoming. Room was awesome! Clean and comfortable! We needed to travel to Brewster, NY and location of hotel was great! While at the hotel we took advantage and visited Harley Davidson down the road. Also easily accessible from the hotel. Although it was a one night stay.... we had an awesome time and the friendliness and comfortability of the hotel helped to make that happen.

With their reasonable rates and easy off/on to I84, this hotel has become our go-to stop over spot. We've stopped here several times, most recently in August 2017 on our way to Maine. The hotel has always been clean and the staff friendly and helpful. The breakfast area is a bit small and cramped if lots of folks are there at once, but the variety is nice and there's always been plenty of food - what more can you ask for with a complimentary breakfast that includes hot items (not just a continental). The room was large and had plenty of space. There isn't a microwave in the room, but there was a small refrigerator and a nice little seating area. The bathroom is very nice and convenient; a sink inside and outside the shower area. Overall, we've had very good experiences (multiple visits) and look forward to our next stop.

We recently attempted to stay at this hotel for the first time. What a fiasco. There was only one person on duty on a Saturday afternoon, so we had to wait a while to be checked in. When we went to the room, we immediately discovered that the A/C was not working, and it was 84 degrees in the room on a warm summer day. We then tried to call the front desk, but the phone wasn't working either. We went downstairs and had to wait in line again to talk to the one person on hand. She spent several minutes looking at available rooms on the computer, went upstairs to check out a possible room but had no luck. By that time we were at risk being late to dinner with my mom, so I suggested that she sort it out for us while we had dinner. We returned around 9 PM, ready to call it a night. Only at that point did she tell us that there were no rooms available with functioning A/C... but that she could give us a 20% discount for a room with no A/C. We declined, and she told us that she had been referring people to other nearby hotels and that there may be no other rooms available. I ignored this warning and simply went to TripAdvisor, where I found several reasonable options within a five-mile drive. We booked a room at the Ethan Allen Inn that was only $30 more expensive, and we were rewarded with an upgrade upon arrival, a far superior room, and a far better in hotel in general. Guess where we'll be going next time?

We stayed overnight in July at this hotel. What a surprise. New owners had taken over a few months before. The room large and was spotlessly clean. The room was facing the back parking lot on the first floor. At breakfast, I watched and saw that food was put out fresh and refilled as needed, tables were cleaned off immediately. I commented to the worker how diligently she worked and thanked her. There was a small issue in the bathroom and when I brought it to the attention of the desk the next day, I was told maintenance would be right on it along with other things the previous owners of the establishment did not fix. In about 9 months everything would be up to snuff , including redoing the breakfast area, making it larger and more up to date. I would not let this stop one from staying here now. It does not have a pool but that was not important for this trip. One can see that changes are for the better. This is the first time we stayed here and would return. Costco and BJ's are nearby, as is a diner and eateries up the road and on and off the highway is a plus. Have a good experience in a clean place!

We stayed one night in Bethel. The room we had was on the first floor, looking at the parking. It was clean and spacious. The only downside is that the breakfast area is small, and we ended up there with a tour bus, so it was overcrowded. Breakfast selection was ok.

Stayed here for one night while visiting family. Check in was fine. Pleasant desk clerk. However the room had two big issues. One, the toilet seat was broken so every time someone sat down the lid would fall and slam the back of that person. The seat also slid around making it hard to stay seated. The second issue was the AC. It worked BUT it sounded like a jack hammer each time it kicked it. Literally woke me up all night long. Breakfast was pretty good and the attendant was very helpful and sweet. While checking out, I notified the front desk of our room issues and she did nothing. Not even a chance to speak to a manager. Just that she would have someone look into the issues, Not my idea of a resolution. Would not stay here or at a Best Western again unless their customer service greatly improves.

This is just a place to stay on the road. But wow what a room for the price. Very clean, comfortable, and everything I could possibly need. Will be back next year. Got a room on the third floor. Clean room, but A/C unit was in dire need of replacing; it would not cool the room sufficiently. Otherwise no issues. Nice small breakfast area off main lobby. Would stay here again for a night or two. Wifi was spotty.

A fine place for a night or two. Free breakfast was fine in the small area in the lobby. I would stay here again. Staff that I encountered were friendly. Rooms were nice, but the cooling/heating unit needed replacing. No screens on the windows, so opening them was not an option in late May.

For many years in our visits to Danbury we usually stayed at Holiday Inn, this time we wanted to change, We choose BW because of our previous good experiences in Europe and other US cities. No problem checking in late using our travel card. 3rd floor room was quiet. Good for overnight stop going south to NYC. The shower had good water pressure. Only concern was outside door from rear parking lot was not secured with keycard access.

"Ruined mother's day! Stole flowers & lied!"

STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL!! They stole my mother's day flower basket/balloon combo! So disgusted with this hotel. I called the hotel before placing the order when I knew my mom would be staying there the night before mother's day to make sure they would accept it. They worked with me great then, little did I know they would keep the flowers for themselves! I arranged for the flowers to be delivered there by 1800flowers. On the delivery day which was check in day (day before mother's day) I got an email confirming delivery to Best Western. But I didn't hear from my mom, knowing she was doing a late check in. So I waited then finally called the hotel (was 10:05pm their time). The woman who answered said she just got there for shift change but she knew about some flowers so she put me on hold. She came back and said were they for "my mom's name", I said yes, she said yes they were delivered. I asked if my mom checked in yet she put me on hold again and came back and said she shows them "in house". Which is checked in. Apparently this person working there didn't know that the other employees were going to claim they were never delivered. And my confirmation also confirmed. I figured my mom was sleeping so I would wait until the next morning to call. The next day (today, mother's day) my mom checked out and at that point her husband who knew about the surprise asked to hotel about them. They claim now that they never arrived. The person that I talked to today, Karima, was so rude! And of course said no manager was there to help. She said deliveries don't go there after 10pm. I said I know that, the confirmation said it was delivered well before 10pm but I called after (3 time zone difference) and that employee apparently didn't know the other employees were going to lie and steel my flowers when she confirmed with me they were delivered! She just kept saying things don't come after 10, seems like she thought I would be ok with that excuse even though it wasn't what happened? Then Karima came up with a new excuse that there are hotels near them maybe it went to the wrong one. That's ridiculous. The nearest hotel is a mile away and not a Best Western. The delivery business name is Best Western. Unless there were 2 best westerns right next to eachother which was not the case. Then when I called 1800flowers to see if they could help they said they had record of me already calling them moments prior. But I didn't! I beleive that the hotel employee called pretending to be me. I have no proof of that but Karima did ask me what company delivered it when she was supposedly looking into what happened. I told her the company I purchased with. After I talked to Karima I called my mom then 1800flowers. So that would have given her time to call before I did. I'm not sure why they would have called, but honestly I wouldn't put it past them at this point that they would pretend to be someone else and try to pull some more schemes. Lori - I was aware of your situation. I was working the night that your mother was due to check in and there was no flowers delivered. I worked the 2pm-10pm. I spoke to the staff member that worked the shift before me and no flowers were delivered at that point either. The woman you spoke with at 10:05pm was mistaken. We would never steal a guest's personal item or gift, such as a Mother's Day flower basket. I understand your frustration but the flower basket you order was not delivered nor would any of my staff members call the flower company pretending to be you. I apologize for how Careema spoke to you but however we were not making up excuses. I would be more than happy to contact 1800flowers to discuss the situation with them. Their company would have made someone sign for the flowers so I could discuss with them about that. Again I apologize for your frustration and for this horrible situation.

"Our "Usual" right off the highway"

We've stayed here about once a year for many years - it is close to the highway and just the right distance for leaving eastern Mass. on a Friday night. Rooms are a really good size, with a sitting area and a desk (so you don't have to sit on the bed to read a book). Always clean rooms, and polite staff. Value is good (though not as inexpensive as it was in years past). Breakfast is fine, nothing special but okay. One thing we noticed this time that wasn't a real issue, but was a little odd: when you came in the back door from the rear parking lot (up one level from the front entrance), all the laundry was stacked there. It felt a bit like walking through a laundry room. Not a deal breaker, though, and I'm sure we'll continue to stay here.

"Perfect one night stay"

Perfect one night stay as a place to then leave the following day to be in Litchfield County. The hotel is just off the main I84, next to a Target. Although we have the room facing the I84, the noise wasn't bothersome. Everyone was kind and helpful; the room with double bed was smartly laid out and clean and functional.

One Saturday night stay. Friendly staff, clean comfortable room, quiet. Breakfast area pretty small and limited, but standard fare. Hot and plenty. Good coffee. Bed linens and towels nice. Great price.

Rooms are a little tired and some facilities didn't work. The hotel staff were quick to respond. The location is good for travelling from Atlantic Canada as it's a good but not too tiring one day drive. Overall an average experience

One stay at this hotel. The room was clean and very comfortable. Great Italian restaurant across the street. Breakfast selection was not as good as many other BWs I have stayed and the internet connection was slow. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

This hotel was a great value, friendly/warm service, conveniently located. It is right near many restaurants and shopping. We had a wonderful week+ stay at this location. Rooms were nice, comfortable, and quiet. The breakfast Hostess was warm and engaging and she felt like family by the time we were leaving. We will definitely visit again!

I stayed 2 nights whilst on business. The hotel tends to get busy from Tuesday to Thursday but then empties out on Friday. Reception staff are helpful, efficient and friendly. Rooms are clean and beds very comfortable. The bathroom was a bit small. They have a small gym, catering facilities and a snack area and microwave. I asked for a cheese sandwich out of hours and they could not have been more helpful in accommodating my request. And it tasted good ! A real family feel service. I would definitely stay there again

The hotel in general is good the workers are friendly. The breakfast lady is great.the rooms are ok could use some updating but from what I have seem they are working on that. The front desk girls are great always trying to help you no matter what the problem is . All in all good place to stay for the amount paid.

I was here for one night on business. It was a good stay. My room was clean. Having a fridge was a plus. Shower was good. Toilet handle "stuck" at times and then toilet would make noise...once I figured it out, no biggie. I still would have given the room five stars. However, the heat unit was "old style"...the blower was very hard even at low speed, and it would blow cool air instead of shutting down, so it was very hard to get temp right, and I get asthma/bronchitis very easily......free breakfast met my needs.

This was our second stay here. The first time we also had issues but they assured us that this was not usual and that the rooms we had should never have been occupied; it was an error. Since it was a convenient location to business we had in the area we decided to give it another try. BIG MISTAKE! Rooms were still filthy; our bare feet were sticking to the room carpet; there was unidentifiable hair in the bathroom tub. The towels were stiff and hard so we doubt they were ever cleaned and we had only two to share among three people. The shampoo, etc "amenities" were sticky and obviously sitting for months. When we complained we were told by Megan at the front desk that there was nothing she could do and that we had to wait to hear from the general manager Rosaria Sproviero who in turn was nowhere to be seen and DID NOTHING! This hotel is a disgrace and STAY AWAY!

Stayed here on a friday night while visiting in town. Staff was pleasant and room was clean. Hotel is fairly close to highway but found the room surprisingly to be very quiet. Solid construction! There are a few restaurants fairly close by too.

"Lower Budget Best Western Expected More"

I had hoped for more out of a Best Western hotel than this. When I arrived there was no parking in the front lot, and my wife and I had just made an 8 hour trip, and arriving at 1am with our 5 month old, so I was told I could use the back lot, and scan into the back door, which is fine BUT for this to work the desk person MUST program the card, so we needed to walk around the building for him to do this. The room was fairly clean, except for the tub. The bed was not very comfortable, and the pillows were just as bad. The double queen room on the 3rd floor is a pretty big size which is nice. The free wireless internet was amazing, and the cable TV selection is also great. The "Hot Breakfast" was terrible. It consisted of a pancake machine (good), some breakfast burritos that looked like they were bought at the 7-11 (gross), that you need to microwave. There was also breakfast sausage, NO eggs, there was bread, English muffins, and bagels for toasting. Juice and regular coffee in a pot because the coffee machine was broken. I feel like they put cereals and food out and do not refill the stock as the morning progresses. Also strange and disappointing was that there was no fresh fruit like apples, pears, or bananas. We ate at the Friendly's around the corner the second morning. It was good. Overall I will probably look at staying at a different hotel next time I am in Danbury, but I would still consider staying here again as it was clean and quiet. Oh an also you need to drive to everything. There is nothing nearby for food, shopping, etc.

"AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST......"

We checked into the room Oct. 21st and we were told that he A/C was turned off and system drained but it was going to be cool weather (outside) and we can open the window, well the room was very warm and we were on the first floor so when you open the window it was into the parking lot and there are no screens on any of the windows.. Housekeeper woke us up at 9am knocking on the door for our dirty towels... I would avoid this place at all cost..the only reason we did stay was we could not find another room for that night and we would have lost the cost for the night..STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL..

"Fine for a night"

The room was nice and clean. The exterior of the hotel was a bit dated with the glass atrium over the breakfast area but the rest of the hotel(rooms & hallways) had been updated. The breakfast was underwhelming. The coffee machine, juice machine, and pancake machine were all broken with signs on them saying so. They had a couple Mr. Coffee makers and a container of OJ. The coffee was terrible, it was so weak that it was not worth drinking. They had some sweat rolls cut into quarters and muffins cut in half along with toast, English muffins and bagels.

"Easy to find"

Rooms were comfy , clean and quite well decorated, though the exterior and the foyer were dated and utility. adequate breakfast to get you on your way with bakery goods,cereals, cooked items,juice and beverages.Easy to find the hotel(on the highway and good access to other routes). Various eatery chains and independent restaurants within 1 mile, just 90 mins from La Guardia, and about the same from the Berkshires,MA.

Overall the best spot to stay in the area. The only complain I have is with the internet access. The rooms are well kept, and have quite a good visual appearance. Although one colleague had non functional heat it was fixed ASAP.

"Refusal to Provide Service"

My wife and checked into the Best Western on the afternoon of October, 19, 2016 only to find the temperature in our room hovering at 80 degrees plus. I turned on the A/C system, noted no change in the temperature whatsoever, and went to the desk seeking assistance. I was bluntly told that the A/C systems were turned off since it had been cold last week; I replied that it is 85 degrees outside and nearly that it my room! The clerk distinguished himself a second time by telling me "Open the window!" I returned to my room, looked at the window....no screens! I returned to the desk and told the clerk that my wife and I are out of here never to return!

"Disappointing for a BW hotel"

We stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel was full for 2 of those weekend nights, however, not sure that is why the cleaning crew had a hard time keeping up, and our room didn't get cleaned each day. The breakfast was very skimpy, no yogurt, no peanut butter, no fruit. We went to the grocery to have some breakfast food in our room.

"Quiet But Bad Food and Pillows"

We spent one night here because there seemed to be an enormous run on hotels in the Danbury area for this specific night and we also had to be here. We were given a room on the first floor by the parking lot and although the desk clerk tried to find us another room, he said he could not move us into it because we'd booked on Expedia. We were shocked by how quiet the room was but then we were roasting because it was 80 degrees and the hotel had decided to turn off the air conditioning two days before. There wasn't even a fan and it was impossible to open the windows. The pillows seemed to be filled with golf ball sized and shaped pieces of foam so they were very uncomfortable. My poor husband was so hot, he got up in the middle of the night to take a cold shower! Breakfast was also totally unacceptable. There wasn't a single cereal available that wasn't chock full of sugar. The staff person finally found me Cheerios which at least have somewhat less sugar so I ate those. Even the yogurt was full of sugar--no plain available and no plain oatmeal available either. No fresh fruit. The coffee machine was broken so there was no hot water to make tea. We do not intend to every stay at this place again. I would like to mention that the hotel staff tried very hard to make our stay as pleasant as possible so these comments are directed at the hotel, not the staff.

if you are traveling and need a break in and around the danbury ct. area, this is where you stay. weel thought out rooms, very nicely priced. the amenities are excellent, and the area provides plenty of place to choose for a meal. This was my second time here returning from maine. I will continue to use them any time i am in the area. worth the effort.

"Terrible - Weekend Visit"

We selected the hotel knowing it was a Best Western and having had positive experiences in the past with this brand. The room was okay, the tile in the bathroom was broken and separated from the wall. The first night we checked in and had four people in party. We had to request two additional sets of towels. Front desk said she had to wait for housekeeping for wash cloths (found out later there is no housekeeping at night). Next morning towels were collected and only two sets left. That night we picked up two more sets and left a note the following morning requesting four sets. Came in that night and not only did we not have towels, we did not have a shower curtain. Complained to the front desk when checking out and was told "no management on property". I was advised a note was left and management would follow up (never did). Note, I tipped every day despite the overall service. I would not recommend this property.

"Beautiful room, but lacking in comfort"

The matresses were uncomfortable and left us with lower backaches. The shower head had little water pressure. The microwave was missing and Expedia said we could request one. We were short one bath towel for bathing. Loved the look of the room with granite counters and an extra sink. The TV was mounted on the wall at the proper height. Hallways felt more spacious and the elevators were always available.

While enroute to our destination on the Atlantic Ocean from New Jersey we found your hotel to be a convenient location just off the highway and your people to be cordial and very friendly in our welcome and departure. Your space available for breakfast was limited but I believe well organized. We were told of upcoming improvements that will make it even better. "Aweful!!!"

I called the front desk to tell them our toilet did not flush in our room and asked to be switched to a different one. The woman told me they were booked and I couldn't be moved. I explained I was traveling with my wife and two children (9 and 7) and couldn't stay in a room without a working toilet. The same woman then came to my room with a plunger, handed it to my wife, and said good luck. I asked to speak with a manager and she told me there was none and could only leave a message for her manager about the problem. The whole night and next morning my family and I had to leave the room and go to the lobby to use the bathroom. At checkout there was still no response from a manager and we were charged full price. When asked if I could have at least a reduced rate for not having a toilet in my room, I was again told there was no manager to authorize it. No manager at night or morning. Don't risk subjecting your family to this place, stay somewhere else.

everything was OK, did have a little trouble finding the hotel with our GPS, The continental breakfast was good with all the normal breakfast items, including pancakes, juice, coffee, cereal, breads, yogurts and fruit. I would recommend this Best Western to others.

We arrived at midnight after a LONG journey! The night receptionist was extremely helpful and welcoming and checked us in quickly. Room was clean and welcoming after our long journey from the UK. "Quiet room request not honored"

We have stayed at this hotel often when we make our annual east coast pilgrimage but were very disappointed this year when our request for a quiet room, made two months in advance was not honored during our three night stay. (Even numbered rooms get non-stop traffic noise from I-84.) One of the desk clerks even told us people were not bothered by it! A minor aggravation was that the maids do not seem to understand that coffee bags also come caffeinated! We shall not use this hotel again.

The toilet was blocked and overflowed. There was no hot breakfast as advertised. The internet didn't work with my computer. The staff just made excuses. The parking lot looks shabby. Repaving and new curbs are needed. The lobby has been refurbished, but this is a minimal facelift over an aging property.

"Good Overnight Stop"

My husband and I were traveling to New Hampshire and needed an overnight stop in Connecticut. The Best Western off Route 84 was a good choice. The location is close to gas stations and restaurants. We ate at the 99, and I also noticed Friendly's, Chili's, and Taco Bell. When we checked in we learned there was a problem with room keys not working. We were told the previous day a storm had damaged their device, and they were waiting for a replacement. This meant each time we left the room, we needed someone from the front desk to let us in. Fortunately we were on the first floor, so we didn't have long to wait. The room was clean with a king bed and sofa which was comfortable for TV viewing. There was a fridge and coffee maker. The bed was firm but comfortable. The complimentary breakfast buffet was very adequate with a pancake maker, scrambled eggs, sausage patties, assorted breads and muffins, cold cereals, yogurt with various toppings, coffee and juice. The sitting area was small but not crowded during our breakfast. The woman attendant was friendly and kept the items well stocked and neat. She offered helpful directions to get us back to Route 84. Overall we were satisfied with the hotel and would stay here again if in the area. The price was much better than other locations in Connecticut along the highway.

Our stay in Best Western, Danbury, CT was a very pleasant one. Clean and comfortable rooms, great rates compared to other hotels in the area, a nice breakfast, and no-hassle check-in or check out. Would definitely say here again if in the area. Thanks for a pleasant overnight stay.

"Great place to stay"

We had a good stay and we're here for multiple nights. The room was quiet. We did have a few problems with the ac but the front desk clerk quickly got us a new room. The dining area is very small and they have been having large amounts of foreign tourists in the lobby and dining area each morning. They had fixed their security door on the second level since last year.

Room was very clean, had 4 awesome pillows on each bed. Toiletries were Pantene Shampoo. Excellent Hot Breakfast consisting of eggs, pancakes, sausauge, hard boiled eggs and your normal continental breakfast. The only complaints were if you wanted to work out you had to go next door to a gym.

"Comfortable Room"

My king room was large and comfortable. Bathroom was clean and usable. Air conditioner was loud and didn't have automatic shutoff. Breakfast had hot items and a good selection. Parking is convenient. There's a good Italian restaurant across the street and a variety of chain restaurants within driving distance. Very good hotel at a reasonable price.

"Overnight stay"

Beds were comfortable, breakfast was great, Room was clean & spacious. However, key card in back door never worked (we parked in back), A/C unit on the coldest setting never cooled room off well for comfortable sleeping & tub drain was broken. Extra cot was not available from a not so friendly desk clerk upon request. Overall adequate for an overnight stay but overpriced. Look around at other local amenities before booking- they seemed just as nice for lower rates.

On our way to Maine we stopped to spend the night. We walked in and was greeted warmly and got a great spacious king sized bed room. The young lady at the desk told us about Ruzuto's Italian restaurant that delivers when we asked about a good place to eat. We ordered eggplant Parmesan and calamari and was the best we've eaten! Breakfast this morning was grand! Will definitely return when in the area.

"Satisfied short business stay"

I visited the hotel in the beginning of June for a company meeting. I stayed approximately 4 hours. I arrived before 9am while a hot breakfast buffet was being served which is always a plus in my book. The breakfast buffet had a good selection. The staff is courteous and friendly and do a great job at cleaning. The room and its bathroom was very clean. The staff also takes great care in cleaning the lobby. Not an ideal spot for companies holding business meetings, I did not see a conference center but I would recommend this hotel for anyone passing through or needing a quick stay for either business or pleasure.

Stayed recently for one night. Good location off the highway. Arrived late, the check- in was seamless. It looks like the rooms were renovated. Adequate size room, very clean. The AC unit very noisy. Average quality , but free breakfast. The pastries were very good The chairs in the breakfast area had dirty ( old large spots ) upholstery .. The room price was very reasonable. Overall recommend the hotel, and I would stay again.

over all the hotel was fine for the one night to break up our travels. We entered room 308 and the window was open, no screen, and it was very warm. I closed the window and turned on the air conditioner and waited and waited. The air conditioner was not working---we did get it to throw some cold air then it would die. We called the front desk and they gave us room 310 newer model air conditioner and everything was fine after that.

It was a place to stay with a bed, tv, and internet. Not particulary impressed with the amenities and the decor, as with most Best Western hotels, is VERY outdated...but no complaints about the functionality of the hotel...it provided what I needed on a one-night business trip.

"Could of done more"

Coming from out of town for a friends wedding there were numerous problems from the outset. Our bed type was incorrect upon check-in and nothing was done to rectify it because the hotel was sold out. The first night, the conference room had no AC, which made dinner unappealing. During the first night of my stay, the AC unit stopped working. We had to call numerous times with no resolution. We had to switch rooms after a lot of back and forth. I feel the hotel was not ready for the large amount of people staying at the property. This property has major potential but fell below the BW standard I am accustom to when traveling.

The A/C is the proper size for the room when you have a maximize number of 30 people. When it very much (70) exceeds the maximum occupancy in the room to have a dinner it is too much for the room to handle. The facility works at keeping the Hotel a friendly atmosphere while providing comfortable accommodations. The breakfast is pretty standard for a quick bite to eat before heading off to a meeting. Will say this was the first time I didn't hear folks slamming doors, stomping feet or kids running through the halls. Appreciated when you are done your day of business.

I have stayed at this hotel on 3 separate occasions and have had a nice experience each time. The rooms are nice and quiet, even though you are near the highway and a street you don't hear the noise. The staff is friendly. The breakfast is nice and has several options to choose from. I plan on staying again when I'm in the area.

Stopped for the night in Connecticut to break up a long drive. Excellent stopover place, very convenient to I-84. Comfortable bed, good breakfast, no frills, just as we like it. Easy in, easy out. Would be good also for a longer stay if we had reason to be in the area.

"Nice and Convenient"

Very nice hotel, my room was very spacious. Staff was very courteous, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, impressed they had cheese, yogurt with various toppings, variety of muffins, breads, cereals,etc. Conveniently located near stores if you needed something, Target is across the street, Dollar Tree, grocery store, Walmart, Marshall's within one mile. Easy access off I-84. Only drawback,I informed the front desk clerk the tv remote didn't work he said it was the tv, you had to unplug it and plug it back in to reset it. That helped but I had to hold the remote up and at a certain angle to change channels or adjust the volume, gets annoying after awhile. This was the first Best Western I have stayed at that didn't have a microwave in the room but you can use the one in the breakfast area. Definitely will go back.

My daughter had a baskerball tournament in danbury. Ask Google for near by hotels check this one outand booked a night. Staff on the phone as well as in person were helpful and courteous. Had a double queen room on 2nd floor very nice clean. Beds were nice. There breakfast was also good. Had pancake maker staff offered to show us how to use it also kept coming around asking if the guests needed anything. All in all would recommend staying here nice little place.

One day our room was not made up; on another night the key card did not work; the heating unit was extremely noisy and we were not able to regulate the heat so either we were in a sauna or uncomfortably cold. On our last day the bathroom above us flooded with cascading water coming through the ceiling. A credit of $20 on our bill certainly did not make up for the inconvenience we experienced nor did the "canned" email from the manager, Ms Sproviero when we sent her our complaints.

Being a Canadian I booked online so I could pay CANADIAN rates. The. girl at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful,the room was clean and the heat worked well, the beds where good and the hot breakfast was everything we needed. Now here was my big issue, the "hot water" was not so hot and it was not just in the morning. My son showered when we arrived and didn't say anything until I questioned him in the am, he said same temp when he showered. They really need to turn the temperature up on the hot water because that is my only complaint on a great one night stop over spot. I can not speak about anything else other then what we used the hotel for. I would definitely stay again but will ask if they have fixed that hot water issue!

"Unprofessional and unhelpful."

We checked into this hotel the night of Mar 24th and were given a room 307 on third floor after requesting ground floor. In the morning the coffee machine kept spouting hot coffe after the lever was released. It burnt my hand. We sat down for breakfast at table that wobbled all over and as a result spilled coffee all over my husband jeans. We moved to a different table which wobbled slightly less and complained to the breakfast attendant: She was very helpful and talked to the front desk to tell them what happened. She then said we would get a discount due to our problems. When we finished breakfast, which was quite good, went to check with front desk to confirm. She told us Manager had said no discount, "just ask them if they are OK". We were puzzeled by this, we had not asked for discount but were told we would get compensated. After we returned to the room the phone rings and front desk telling us that manager had a "change og heart" and we would get $25.00 off our bill. When we checked out we asked for a copy of adjusted bill but were told not possible as manager the only one who could adjust bill but she would email the final bill that day. Now a few days later no email, no adjustment. $ 25.00 is not a lot of money but it was a step in the right direction to make up for the uncomfortable experience at this hotel. My husband´s Jeans are ruined as we can´t get the coffee/cream stains out. My hand is OK as I could get it into cold water right away. This is obviously an establishment that has poorly trained staff, lies to guests and fosters unprofessional attitude. We are very disappointed in Best Western and will not be using this chain in the future.

We were ready to stop for night. Tried for over an hour to book through BW's website. Finally called and they did give me the same rate. The AC/heater blew all night and could not shut down as it was really cold that evening. Otherwise the room was the normal room.

This hotel was very clean. Didn't feel grossed out. Even the remote was sanitized for you. I would highly recommend this hotel. The breakfast was good and the lady doing breakfast was constantly checking on the food and the dining area...which is different from other hotels we have tried...usually the person is out of sight and things are dirty and run out. But not here. They are really on top of their game! They have water with lemon at reception and apples for snack when we came in. Location is near a Target and Burger King. Free paper and wifi. Will come back to this hotel. It was reasonably priced.

the best western was right there off of 84, easy on and off. The hotel was a good value for what we wanted, just a place to spend the night and a good breakfast. We were not interested in the other things the hotel had to offer, I may have chose a different best western if we were going to stay more than one night. Would return to the same hotel again because it was a half way point in our trip. Breakfast was huge, everything anyone could want and plenty of it. The room was good, a little bleach could be smelled but no big deal.

No extra blankets available( in a hotel that was not at capacity) Heat did not work, my daughter and I had to sleep in sweats an put extra towels on the beds to keep warm. Broken sink, shower that leaked from the room above. Enough said- Don't go!

"A hotel that seems to be struggling to improve"

We had a room here for one night only. Located on the third floor we entered the room and it was stifling hot. We turned the heat down to low and immediately realized why the heat was on high. On the low setting the fan and compressor made so much noise that one had to speak loudly to converse. We tried the airconditioner setting on high and that was too cold. So we settled for a not-so-restful night sleep with the a/c on the low setting. When things like this happen one starts looking for other problems. Security device on door is an old fashioned chain that provides no security at all. Corners in the bathroom and floor tile grout were in need of a good cleaning. Paint peeling off the wall above the shower enclosure. The staff was absolutely wonderful and took good care of us. Thank you for that. But they didn't know how to fix the heater/air conditioning problem. This hotels boasts about it's "hot breakfast" on their outside marquee. They have a pancake machine and a toaster. They also have scrambled eggs and processed turkey sausage. The problem is the lobby was so cold there is no way the hot food could stay even warm. I will say it was a quiet hotel, except for the heater motor. Like i said it is struggling to improve. But it is right now a $65-$75 a night hotel at the most.

"Mostly pleased"

The hotel was quiet, comfortable and clean. The heating system was the type that blows out air. It went from hot to cold to whole time, and we had trouble controlling the temperature. Otherwise, we were pleased with everything.

Very nice stay here. No complaints. If you pick up a coupon book from The Information Center at the border you get a very reasonable price. I think I paid about 65.00 Would highly recommend this Best Western .

hotel staff is very welcoming. Rooms are comfy. Breakfast is always well presented. Close to a great diner and shopping. walking distance if needbe.Very clean hotel. excellent value. easy access to freeway.

great value and extremely courteous staff. clean rooms. comfortable beds. Okay breakfast. No hassles. It's a clean, well lighted place! Conveniently located just off the highway. Will definitely stay in the future.

"Thanksgiving night"

We stayed here after being with family in CT. for Thanksgiving dinner. Place is very clean. Beds a little too firm for our liking. Rates are very low and overall a fine place to stay when on the road.

"Beatlemania Getaway"

We recently attended a Beatlemania Concert at one of the local High Schools and decided we would stay overnight instead of driving home late, I'm very glad we did and picked the Best Western in Bethel. I always read the reviews of a hotel before I travel and for the most part this hotel got decent reviews, sure, there is ALWAYS Someone who didn't like the breakfast or bathroom or carpets or some other such nonsense but we had no problems at all. The hotel stay comes with a free breakfast and unless you're the kind of person that has to have Eggs Benedict in the morning, I think you'll like the breakfast and this property for the price. I must say, They Really Do Have The Most Comfortable Beds in the Industry. Ed

"Unfriendly and Untrained Staff"

If you are looking for a hotel with un professional staff. Look no further this is it. The front desk staff here is terrible. my husband and I stay at over 100 Best Westerns every year and this was the worst service we have ever came across.. The coffee pot was missing a part, we never got a replacement. We were never greeted by the front desk, we were treated like we were bothering them, and check out was no better. The only plus was that the bed was comfortable and the rooms very clean.

"Relaxing Night Away from Dorm"

I spent the evening with my daughter celebrating her birthday. She was happy to have a relaxing evening away from the Westcon dorms. We plan to do this again soon. The staff was very helpful and the breakfast was better than I expected.

"Fun Weekend in Connecticut"

This hotel is centrally located and near all major highways. The staff are courteous, the rooms are comfortable. Any problems were dealt with promptly, which were minor. I liked that there was a rubber floor mat for the shower. The light could be brighter for easier reading.

"Poor Customer Service"

Pros: The hotel is clean, and fairly modern looking for a Best Western. Plus, the staff seemed fairly prepared when we arrived. Cons: The night staff (a man who was working at 10pm on Thursday, 10/8) was rude. I called down and asked for the wifi - which the front desk *should* have placed on my key packet - the man who picked up was terse. I tried the code that I thought he had dictated to me over the phone, but it didn't work. When I called back a minute later, he sounded exasperated that I had called again.... like I was bothering him. Please get this guy some customer care training so that he doesn't run off any more customers than this negative review already has.

"Comfortable room ... but Oh dear, the Breakfast!"

The Best Western Danbury is an average hotel. I wouldn't say it is plush (and if you take a room overlooking the wrong end of the back carpark you will be kept awake all night by the ancient aircon extractor, so check the location). The room we took had two comfortable /Queen sized beds, a small operational fridge, a mini coffee filter (don't bother using their coffee, it is awful, but there is a large Target supermarket in walking distance which has some decent whole bean instants - just heat the water through the machine into the cup containing the coffee). Room service is variable. The beds were made up every day, but sometimes they bring you new paper cups, sometimes they don't. Sometimes you get shampoo and body lotion, sometimes you don't. You NEVER get showergel! The rooms have free wifi - but the server doesn't allow your devices to be remembered. Every time you leave the confines of the hotel, you have to log back in again. Not a major problem, but irritating. To the breakfast: There is a big sign outside saying "New Look Breakfast". Dear Lord, I can't imagine what the "old look" ones was like! Anaemic looking turkey sausages, a variety of themes on scrambled egg (when it's just scrambled egg, there is a sign saying "REAL SCRAMBLED EGG" with an exclamation mark, as if this came as a total surprise. Those are the only two hot options. The rest of the fare is atery clogging sweetness. Cakes, donuts (always stale and heavy), bagels, bread. Rarely are there yoghurts in the fridge, the pancake machine was only working 2 out of our 7 day stay. The orange juice machine likewise, was working only occasionally. The alternative cranberry juice was oversweet. The coffee is best taken black as it barely has any coffee flavour at all. Now don't get me wrong, for the price I wasn't expecting the Ritz - but the lacklustre fare would be better removed - at least if breakfast wasn't included, one could have researched a decent local breakfast diner! In summary: for a cheap comfortable place to stay, it's OK, just make sure you bring the essentials with you and lower your expectations regarding breakfast!

"Clean, updated and centrally located hotel."

The service, cleanliness, condition, location, amenities and value for the price were very good. I would definitely return. Breakfast was complimentary and pretty average but the hours were longer than most from 6 - 10 AM.

"Comfortable Room"

The room was very comfortable. But I was surprised that there was no phone book or booklet describing the hotel. Don't know if this was an oversight or new policy because of the fact that cell and smart phones are so popular. Gluten sensitive quests would only find the sausages, very good, juice and coffee available for breakfast choices.

"Best Western Hotels no longer have extra fleece blankets in the closet anymore."

The hotel had new stuff and very clean rooms. But the hotel is still in renovation. They owner and management told me "they do not plan to order fleece blankets just down comforters on the bed". Please go to another hotel that has extra blankets since management does not care about customers comfort. The manager was not on call when a issue did come up bad leadership issues. When I request a extra blanket they could not find one like promised. Lucky I had my own fleece blankets from home. Why should people have to bring there own linens when hotels should have extra in the closets. Really hotels forget about the basic needs. :(

"A nice place to visit."

It's a nice place to stay while in the area. There are more expensive hotels around, but are they really better? No. We've tried them. They even have an attitude to match. You may see a little flaw or two while here, but no one claimed it was the 4 seasons. If you have a problem, tell the friendly staff and they will work with you to solve it. The free breakfast is pretty good too! I suggest you give this hotel a try and see what I mean.
