"The perfect fhotel in the valley!!"

After over 15 years at this hotel I can only give my best recommendations to stay here! Friendly atmosphere, perfect placed in the valley with an amazing mountainview. The owners are the best and kindest people you can find!! With a spa and sauna and a nice restaurant you have everything you need after ski or whatever you have done!

The hotel is well located close to the river and is only a 15 minute walk from the heart of the old town. The public areas and the bedrooms were spotlessly clean, very functional and quiet. Breakfast was good and presented us with a good choice. The staff {we only saw two} were extremely helpful and could not be faulted. Not a five star establishment but very good.

The hotel may be a 20 minute walk from the old town but it is a lovely walk beside the River Charente. The hotel has reasonably spacious rooms that are well furnished and it is all very modern. The reception staff are very helpful. It may not have air conditioning but it does have a fan in every room.

Unfortunately our car died on us on the RN just south of ANGOULEME. RAC were fabulous and recovered us and our dogs to Angouleme and then put us in Hotel Saint Antoine as they are a pet friendly hotel. Whilst we didn't intend to stay in Angouleme as we were on the way to Dieppe we did (eventually) consider ourselves very fortunate to be in this lovely hotel. The room was very spacious (which was much appreciated by two large Old English Sheepdogs) and immaculate. The breakfast room is a joy to sit in and the wood burner was very welcome. The centre is 20 minutes walk but very easy to find following the map provided by the hotel and well worth the effort. I would certainly recommend the hotel to all travellers, not just those travelling with pets.
