You can smell the cleanliness of this well kept hotel. The brand is exceptional with consistent standards at each hotel. Best Western is always our first choice. We were happy to get a room at this hotel as we were leaving Wells prior to the evacuation from the Antler Creek wildfire.
Pool was not working, sign was posted at the front desk. Parking lot was full, arrived after 930pm. Fan in bathroom was not working. Forgot to mention that when leaving. Bed was comfortable. Could not hear other guests. Check in was easy. Good location.
Pool was closed. They said it had been closed for a while, no notification on the website. My room key had to be recoded four times! The staff didn't seem to care, more like they were not surprised. The breakfast was not good. Worse experience at a best western I have experienced
Always a good choice! Whenever we come to town, this is the place to book! Came through Maylong weekend, this was the first time booked on the main floor and I'll never book an upper room again. Had a door to go out in the back without walking through entire hotel, made going to vehicle easy and convenient, Also grabbing coffee from the breakfast area was super convenient all morning throughout the stay! Loved this!
Clean, quiet, friendly helpful staff, excellent location, good value . Breakfast included . The double queen room 320 with kitchenette was awesome. Full size fridge and even a stove with oven . Room faces back of hotel no noise at all . Great hotel would definetly use again.
This place is very enjoyable to stay at. It is friendly, clean, and is like a home away from home, but more upscale!
My wife and I stayed at the hotel with our dog on our drive through BC. We picked it because it was pet friendly. The employee who checked us in was very nice. Our room was on the first floor with a second door to the outside in the back of the room which was very convenient to let our dog out and also bring in and out our luggage. The room had two queen beds and a bar sink. Wifi was fast. I thought the hotel was very well kept. The room included a continental breakfast, which had the typical options. The hotel is conveniently located along the highway as you come in from the south with a gas station down the block. If I am in the area, I will stay here again.
Interior of the facility is a bit dated but to be fair it is not in need of maintenance and is kept clean. Breakfast was open after 6 am for a quick bite nothing special here and did not see any to go containers. Overall I would say this would be the best place to stay in Williams Lake,
Stayed here on May 6 2024 and was happy with the room, staff and will stay here again on my next trip.
Best dog room ever. Traveling through to Abbotsford for surgery on our fur baby. Extremely clean hotel and room had back entrance to a clean pet area. So accommendating. Bed was so comfortable. I never sleep and slept 9 hours. Keep up the excellence Best Western
This would have been a five star stay, but the pool/hot tub was closed for our entire stay, with only a very small discount given and though most staff were great, one front desk person was very rude.
This hotel was maintained very well. Clean and made me feel comfortable. Free breakfast was also great, surprisingly a lot of continental breakfast food options! Good quality too! Will miss their omelets hahaha...
This property is really clean and the staff are fabulous. The staff are very professional, attentive, caring and genuinely interested in the quality of your stay. There is ample parking. The breakfast area is kept spotlessly clean and organized. The rooms are well appointed, and I felt secure during my stay.
Puke or diarrhea under the toilet seat. Pubes on the corner of the bathroom floor. Staff were talking in a foreign language and laughing loud late at night. Lipstick marks on the glasses at breakfast. Indifferent front desk clerk after complaining the next morning. Hotel is packed no shortage of funds to higher more/competent staff
Service was excellent… staff was friendly… girl at the reception was very kind and she greet us with love and care…Overall experience was very good.. including cleanliness and all other services.. i will definitely stay here during my next visit
Great BW option in Williams Lake. Hotel is a bit dated but clean and comfy. Staff is very helpful and welcoming. Breakfast is fair and does the trick. We had some confusion with rooms on check n but it was resolved quickly and effectively. Would def stay again.
Excellent stay with very comfortable beds. Great breakfast including omelettes. Very friendly staff. Would recommend to anyone looking for good priced motel with breakfast. Reasonably quiet with some outside equipment noise though
This is now the 3rd time we've stayed at this location over a few years and it's always been consistent with the friendly staff, cleanliness of the premises and rooms, sleep quality and variety of the breakfast provided. Air conditioning was especially appreciated on this trip.
This was one of the nicest Best Westerns we have stayed. We have a dog and our 'pet friendly' room was quiet and clean and we had access to an additional door in our room that opened up to a hillside - perfect to exercise our pet without having to walk aways away! AND we had the best sleep ever!
The room was clean, staff was friendly and the whole place has a good atmosphere. Also the free breakfast was good and the internet worked fine. I found it quiet and comforting. I would probably stay there again.
The room was very clean. We had a kitchenette unit. Everything was sparkly and shiny. The staff were amazing. We had inadvertently left a pillow behind and within half an hour of leaving we received a phone call to advise us of the same. We were able to make arrangements for pick up. All of the staff were smiling, helpful, cheerful, polite, amazing staff!
Very good staff very nice breakfast care lady lovely Granma always attend and exceptional manners, the pool boiler was out off service for the week without any solutions. in general very satisfied stay
Expected a nice fun pool stay after long travel day. Freezing cold in the pool and no heat in the hot tub during our stay. No offer to reimburse a discount on our stay . A high price to pay for “swimming “ in your shower. Friendly staff and nice room. Just wasn't as great as it could have been.
My first time stay overnight night in Williams Lake Best Western Hotel as I'm going for my driving test early next day. Though a bet far out from town that doesn't bother me, I just want a good place to stay and Best Western Hotel didn't disappoint me at all. Nothing to complain about my room, bed or washroom. Neat, tidy and clean. Breakfast is super. Me and my friend had a very pleasant stay. Definitely will come back and stay.
Always a great place, best between Williams Lake and Quesnel. Disappointing breakfast though. Advertised breakfast till 0930 am. Went down at 0845 first morning. No hot eggs. Went down the second morning at 0900 no hot eggs or hash browns and very little sausages left again. Heard another person asking the hostess if he could pack a plate for their tour bus driver who was running late. Would be there at approx 0930. He advised her that there wasn't any food there to park . This is about 0910. She says it would take to long to make food as they close at 0930. I would suggest maybe just advertise free breakfast first come first serve as the 0930 time is not accurate. It seems there isn't really breakfast till 0930?
Hotel was nice e looking and clean, staff were friendly. Rooms were kept clean. Breakfast was typical but done well and tasted good. Not hotel issue but only issue is there was only 1 cab driver and hard to get a hold of. Plan airport to hotel trips accordingly. Hotel staff were good at answering cab questions. Laughing Loon resteraunt next door was excellent as well.
Good location on the highway. Beautiful view of the Lake. The hot tub & pool area was very nice. The breakfast was good & hot and the coffee was good. The hotel was very clean & the staff are friendly & helpful.
The hotel has excellent, well-maintained amenities. The Breakfast buffet has numerous options for a tasty and satisfying meal. For dinner and lunch, the hotel is located within easy walking distance of a number of excellent restaurants and numerous fast food brand locations. Front desk staff and all other staff I encountered during my five day stay were professional, helpful, well-informed and very friendly. A great place to stay in Williams Lake.
Bed clean, staff great, breakfast OK, indoor pool and jacuzzi kids love it.overall is great experience. One of the hotel we will be back when we visit William lakes. Thanks to the staff to make the place sanitized all the time.
Our vehicle had frozen overnight. This place was the best place for that to happen. We had a filling breakfast, the use of their extension cord, and was able to extend our checkout while we waited for our vehicle to start again.
Very disappointed when I can not stay because hotel is booked up , my family has always made this hotel part of our travel to Prince George BC, love the pool when it is open .location is key to our travel safety
The room was spacious and clean. It had a queen size bed . It had a sink and small fridge . Couch aa well. Really night view from room . Lots of Parking. Quite comfortable bed , pillows & room . We came the night before for a medical procedure the next morning. We used Visa rewards points which included taxes. Satisfying stay.
this hotel had become a problem for me. I am holding all other hotels and chains to the standard of the Willaims Lake BW. it's a hard thing for others to meet in my view. The rooms are clean, and everything is good working order. If there's any small issue the staff work quickly and effectively to mediate. The staff and management are friendly and courteous. parking lot supplies ample room, lobby area is bright and clean as is the sitting area outside the breakfast room. breakfast items are well stocked. and the coffee is GOOD! A huge plus for me!
Room had everything I wanted, very clean, lots of amenities. Even though I was near and facing the highway, it was quiet and I slept great. Staff gave me a warm welcome and recognized my membership status. Appreciate that! Good coffee every morning even though I left too early to catch free breakfast. Quick and easy check in and out. My place to stay in Williams Lake!
First time in Williams Lake, but found familiar comforts. When a hockey trip required us to venture up to Williams Lake, we decided to head up a day early and stay overnight. Since we are working at earning our Best Western reward points, we did not look around at hotel options. I booked the hotel using the BW app and we set the car's nav system to direct us to the hotel. We arrived around dinner time and found the hotel easily. There was lots of parking and everything was bright. The lobby was very inviting and was decorated for Halloween. Check-in was simple, and we were quickly dropping off our luggage in our room. The first reaction was that the hotel was clean, bright, and well-kept. We often go for a suite or an executive room, so the kids were somewhat disappointed to find the room was just a standard two-bedder, but I got a great rate. I didn't find anything that was not completely satisfactory. Breakfast was terrific. They provide the standard options: make-your-own-waffles, yogurt, warm eggs/hashbrowns/sausages, pastries, cereal etc. What impressed me was how impeccably clean the area was kept. A very attentive woman was on-hand cleaning up any spills and constantly refilling the food items. Even though breakfast was scheduled to end at 9:30, she was still topping things up at 9:20. As I mentioned, this was our first trip ever to Williams Lake. If we ever come back, we will stay here again.
We arrived in the evening, exhausted from a very long drive. Checking in was easy and luggage carts were available (which is not always the case in some hotels). We were looking for something simple, yet nourishing to eat and the staff recommended The Laughing Loon next door. We ordered take out and ate in our hotel rooms (and the food was excellent). The rooms were very clean and the beds so comfortable that we fell asleep right away. We would return to this hotel if our travels take us through Williams Lake again.
We had reservations at the super 8 but the rooms and property were so bad we left and got rooms at the best western. This property was the four seasons compared to the Ramada and the super 8! Definitely staying at the best western again!
From phoning in our reservation to leaving, our stay here has always been great. The breakfast is delicious, the staff friendly, rooms clean, beds comfortable. We would recommend the Best Western to those travelling through or planning a stay to visit the area.
Our king room was large and very comfortable. We stayed on the 3rd floor facing the road and didn't have a problem with traffic noise. The room was clean and almost too cold when we first arrived, but once we figured out the thermostat it was fine. Temps were in the 90's. I would definitely recommend staying here over other places in the area.
I checked into this motel late In the afternoon and got their last room. The room was advertised on TripAdvisor at $249 but I was charged only $169 with my BW Rewards card. Furthermore I was upgraded to a larger room with a couch and easy chair. The room was not only comfortable but also immaculately clean, which is uncommon in this day of staff shortage. Sid was very helpful at the front desk. The breakfast was the usual adequate meal in a larger room. The bed was comfortable. I hit the road the next morning, rested and sated. I definitely would stay here again.
Nothing is rarely perfect but this was close only two issues. The fan in the bathroom wasn't working. And we had rambunctious kids above us but maybe if the pool had not been closed due to repairs (which was not an issue things need updating and repairs) but it would give kids a place to burn up energy. Overall we were pleased with our stay.
The location was very handy as it was close to the people I was visiting. The pub/restaurant next-door was good for dinner and the breakfasts at the hotel were good as well. The staff was always smiling and saying hello when you saw them. It is a type of hotel I like to stay in, friendly but not too large.
Front desk staff were efficient. Hotel was clean. Room was clean and comfortable. Hot breakfast in the morning was good. Bacon could have been crispier. If I stay again and the bacon isn't crispy then next time I'll microwave it to get it to my liking.
We discovered what appeared to be rodent feces in our room at 11pm and were moved to a new room with no kitchen right next to the elevator. In the morning when I went to the front desk to check out, the general manager (Sat) said she was made aware of the situation and said she would give only be able to give us 50% off because they didn't make us sleep in the dirty room and now they would have to clean both rooms. I contacted the Interior Health department and then returned to the front desk to get a receipt and was told by the GM that she was planning to give us a full discount but then decided against it because I didn't want a solution to the issue and only wanted a free room. Do not stay here if you expect clean rooms and respectful management.
Not a lot to say but the staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and the room was clean and well maintained. I left early so did not have breakfast. Overall good value for the price and I would certainly recommend the hotel.
Williams Lake BW staff and location is by far the best I have had the please of staying with. The staff are very professional, and friendly without exception. Rooms are clean and comfortable. the location is just outside of the city centre so nice and quiet. I alway's feel like I am being welcomed "home" when I stay here.
Located on the highway, across from the lake. Pub next door with good food. Rooms clean, front desk staff friendly on check-in and anytime you walk by. Included breakfast was tasty, good selection of breakfast items.
Our front desk experience was good, the person was friendly and helpful. Our room on the second flour was a little dated, but was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Our room had a full kitchen that we did not use but it looked well equipped. The do have free guest laundry machines.
The staff is always trying to do the best they can to accommodate my needs as a frequent guest, I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay. It's unfortunate the pool and hot-tub can't operate due to staffing shortages
The Williams Lake Best Western is our go to hotel in WL on our way through to the Chilcotin. The staff are friendly & helpful and the rooms are always very clean. The beds are exceptionally comfortable as well
I have always felt that when you need to stay in hotels you should feel not only welcome but valued. the Williams Lake Best Western has set a very high bar for any other hotel. We have over the years stayed in pretty much all the hotels until this Best Western opened. We wont say anywhere else now. this is a direct result of the service standards set by management and the staff.
This is my first choice to stay in Williams lake. Staff is excellent, check in is quick, breakfast was a nice start for the day. The rooms are clean, and if you require a pet friendly room they will work to accommodate you.
Rooms are clean and large. The view overlooking the lake is stunning in all seasons. Check in staff member was extremely personable and efficient. Check out staff as well as housekeeping were a pleasure to deal with as well. Kudos to the person(s) in charge of hiring for this hotel; you have matched the job opportunities well with the staff you have hired. Everyone is pleasant and appears to truly enjoy their work. Thank you.
They take good care of you and their service is great ,they make sure you have a great stay the room was very clean the breakfast was very good.the lobby is very clean and welcoming, the parking lot is easy in and out .this place will suit all your needs.
Only problem was no pool or hot tub availability. Morning breakfast was good, love those sausages, good coffee. Hotel is near a gas station, The Point restaurant and a licensed casino that smells of pot. :-(
This is a great hotel, I stayed here first time and found the staff very friendly and professional. The rooms are clean. especially with the pandemic they are exceptionally clean when compared to other hotels. The breakfast was very nice . I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
This is an awesome hotel, I stay here every time and will continue to do so! The rooms are always immaculate, especially with the pandemic they are exceptionally clean when compared to other hotels in the town. The breakfast is very filling given that it is complimentary, I have no complaints!! I would recommend this hotel to everyone!!
Very disappointed. Never had cleaning staff on to clean. Note on door saying they can't find staff. (Pay more) pool isn't operating and rooms very dirty. We bought sheets to put on. Bagged lunch. Old fruit and unhealthy options.
We choose best western hotels often. Some are great, others not. This one was right in the middle of that. For the price of the room, this hotel needs updating. Tile flooring is outdated, and damaged. Whirlpool tub in the room was very dirty around the Jets/suction vent (?). The room was very dusty, especially around the edges of the carpet, which made us start looking at everything in the room. Turned out, it wasn't that clean. Pool remains closed, not sure why though. Lots of other hotels have their pools open with reserved times for guests/capacity limits etc. Front desk staff were great, lobby etc very clean and inviting. All in all, was a good stay, my only major complaint was that we wished the room was a bit cleaner.
I always get a Jacuzzi room as there is less of the disgusting carpet, the hallway to the room was filled with pot smoke, pool & hot tub closed. Nice thing site is only a block from the best restaurant in town (the Point)
After staying at another Best Western hotel just the night before (in Rocky Mountain House AB), I would have said this hotel was awesome... but compared to the other BW hotel, this hotel was just OK. Not terrible, just average. As we drove all day long, we were tired and ready to eat then sleep. The front desk checked us in very kindly and we were placed on the third floor. Since it takes quite a bit of time for the elevator, we simply just walked our luggage up the stairs. Upon arriving to our room, the key card would not work. So... down three floors we went back to the front counter. While I was there, I asked if I could have a late check out due to my meeting being so early and I wanted my family to stay sleeping and comfortable until my meeting was done. The front desk said I had to call in the morning as there is a hockey team staying at the hotel and that they would take priority on that. Now, just having been to the other BW hotel the night before and having such great service knowing that I was a BW rewards member, I felt not "VIP" like I had before. Ok... so the next morning while getting ready, I called at 6:30am and requested a late check out one more time. I think the same person was working as they told me the exact same thing... that I had to call later in the morning and maybe speak to a manager since the hockey team gets late check out first. Well.. .this sucked. So as I was leaving the hotel, I checked with the front desk to see if I in fact can have a late check out (by just one hour). He said since I was a rewards member, he will grant it. Great! Off to my meeting I went. My meeting ended and I was back to the hotel by 11am. Shortly after arriving, a knock a the door... it was housekeeping. They were not aware I was checking out late. Five minutes later, front desk called... asking how long I was going to be... In the end, we checked out earlier than we wanted because we seemed to be pestered by the staff and annoying them we weren't gone yet. So off we went. Out of all the hotels I've been to in Williams Lake, this is one of my top two. Although the bed linen was quite starchy and could have been softer, the pillows were decent. The room was clean and I comfortable. The shower had good pressure, which is lovely.
Their were some disappointments during my stay. The pool and hot tub were closed due to no staff to maintain, there was no mention of this when booking. There was a hockey tournament and young teams running through the halls and causing extreme noise for a couple of nights. The washroom fan didn't work at all. The stove top smokes when turned on. When asked for coffee to be ready in the morning it was not available for some days. Nightshift guys was difficult to deal with and not friendly. Trying to check out anothet customer came up and interrupted, the front desk left us to help the rude guest instead of finishing our checkout, this happened twice and the second time the desk agent left to take the rude guest find another room. We left without a checkout due to time deadlines and checkout taking over 20mins.
We enjoyed our stay. Easy to find, right on the highway but far enough back that you don't here it. Staff very good, Covid precautions were great. Just south of town so easy access to all restaurants and shopping.
Love this hotel, it's our go to place when we stay in Williams Lake. We left our fur baby home but when we were there we saw that some people had their fur babies with them so we are going to find out what the policies are for dogs and which rooms they can be in.
If you are travelling from Dawson Creek BC to The lower mainland-you will find this is the best place to stay along the route-without a doubt. Top quality, comfortable, great service and spotlessly clean.
Staff friendly, breakfast okay. Hotel decorated nicely. However the wheelchair accessible room was not accessible. Bathroom door opened against bathtub, no handheld shower, very little room in bathroom. Bed was over 30 inches high making it almost inaccessible for a wheelchair bound person to get on the bed without help. Manager was apologetic but it's a newer hotel and should be better equipped.
Very happy with this hotel as we were travelling through the wild fire zones in BC it was nice to find such a pleasant accommodation . Our initial impression was how nice the lobby was. The staff was very accommodating . The only issue was in our room in that the bathroom fan was not working!
Was on my way to the north, and decided to stop for the night! This hotel is awesome and the staff is the best in Williams Lake!! I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone, it's very family-friendly as well!
I would have given it a 0 but 1 is the lowest it will allow. Staff was extremely rude, took a phone call while I was talking with her and proceeded to tell the person on the phone I was there complaining about the pool. What happened to customer service, if you are going to be rude to customers maybe look for a different profession. I will make sure to tell all of my friends never to stay here.
The customer service was amazing. The room was clean, beds were comfortable, hotel was quiet. Would definitely stay here again next time we are in the area. Thank you for your excellent customer service.
Nothing great, nothing bad. We booked for the pool because we have 2 little kids. We were not told that the pool was closed prior to booking or during booking. We would have stayed somewhere cheaper if we would have known. Annoyed.
so pleased with the room, with an door to the outside, very pet friendly. Due to circumstances a family emergency we needed to cut our stay short. the manager and staff were so attentive to our well-being. We are very appreciative of their help and consideration. thanks again .
It was one of the worst stay we had. The front lady was very racist and not welcoming at all. Seems like she dont want any customer to visit this hotel. We would reccomed to stay any other hotel rather than getting service from rude lady working in this hotel.
Very friendly staff and speedy check in. Very clean rooms great amenities. Just an overall great place to stay at a reasonable cost. Downtown Williams Lake restaurants are close. Highly recommended to stay here while in Williams Lake!
One of my favorite place to live when I am passing through Williams Lake. This is only the hotel I have seen who follows the covid-2019 all necessary protocols. A hotel manager named Sat is exceptional and all other staff members are so friendly and helpful. No any problems I have faced at all with my all visits. Thank you Best Western Williams Lake Hotel for your wonderful hospitality.
Was driving through Williams Lake and decided to get some rest, the staff at Best Western were really accommodating and friendly. I would stay here again, great rooms and comfy beds as well. 10/10 highly recommended.
Very impressed with the service and cleanliness of this facility , I recommend this location to all fellow co workers aswell as friends and family to stay here anytime coming through Williams Lake BC !
We were travelling with our family for a medical appointment for our son. We reserved this hotel because it had a pool. In addition reserved to queen beds. On arrival the front desk clerk was beyond rude. I queried about the pool as it looked like the lights were off, she was abrupt and rude and told me it is closed. Disappointed, I expressed it was not clear on the website when booking - no apologies instead she said " it is- I can show you- you needed to read it". ( When we looked later we found it was not clear- this information was at the bottom of a lengthy page accessable, and a link that needed to be clicked on). Our room had two beds that said they were queens- the standard sizing for a queen did not match up - these beds were tiny. When returning to the front desk to address this problem, I offered to pay for a bigger room, or a cot, as my family could not physically fit in the beds.......I was told " there is nothing, you should have booked a family room". I asked for a refund and was simply refused. We could not even get extra linens, so we had to use a yoga mat, and linens from our vehicle for my husband to sleep on.
Best place to stay, just at the edge of town. Hotel is clean. Staff is friendly, helpful and kind Has kitchenettes with full range for cooking your own meals. Beds are comfortable as well as pillows But if you like to go out to eat there is a pub next door and further down the road is a casino with restaurant
Staff were excellent! Room was very clean and the kitchen was great to have. Convenient location, close to stores, restaurants, everything you could want. Will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Williams lake.
This continues to be a great place. Staff are always pleasant and accommodating. Clean, comfortable rooms. Excellent wifi. A kitchen if you need one. A modified basic breakfast in light of covid with coffee, muffins and a bag for the road. All good and is my goto place.
I or my colleagues have stayed at all accommodations in Williams Lake. This one is the best for room comfort, quietness, and amenities. Staff are very friendly and helpful, and rooms are clean. I exclusively stay at this hotel, and in some years I've slept here nearly three months of the year!
This place is horrible, systemic racism is very real at this hotel. I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy, much less a friend. They give you a boiled egg, muffin, and fruit in a bag for breakfast. If you don't stand in their circles they yell at you. If you make any noise at all in the hotel, they yell at you. You have to clear everything that you bring into their hotel to see if you can have the items in your room. I will never stay here ever again.
This is my husband and mine go to Hotel when we come to town. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The rooms are spotless and roomy and the beds are extremely comfortable. Management and staff have gone above and beyond to ensure the safety of guests in relation to the Coronavirus. I highly recommend this hotel.
Spent one night at the Best Western in Williams Lake and was pleasantly surprised of how many Covid precautions were taken by the hotel and how absolutely spotless everything was, from the lobby to the hallways and room.
We travel a lot and spent most of July travelling. We normally stay in 4-5 star resorts but choices in Williams lake are limited. We have stayed in Best Westerns before with good experiences. This hotel was the cleanest, most covid concious hotel we stayed in this summer. Customer service was exceptional, our room was immaculate from top to bottom. The staff were helpful and attentive. We checked out very early, and I forgot an expensive gold ring in the bathroom. the staff notified me before I had even realized I had left it behind. They were careful to confirm it was mine, and then securely forwarded it to me immediately. What an awesome experience. We will stay here every time we need a room in Williams lake.
First hotel as you arrive into Williams Lake from the south. Masks required. Adhering to govt guidelines and encouraging patrons to as well. Pleasant and friendly and efficient front desk staff. Room was two queens and was very clean. No issues, nothing falling apart :-) Could hear a little from room above us when in bathroom but to be expected. Breakfast was individually served in lobby by front desk staff: fruit, coffee, granola bar, yoghurt, muffin. We took it back to our room but there was space to have eaten in lounge area. The hotel is hoping to semi-open kitchen (with modifications) for breakfast soon. All in all a good stay and I'd stay again.
This is the only hotel we will stay in when we visit Williams lake. By Williams Lake standards, it is a 5/5 but if you are travelling from somewhere else, it's a pretty average hotel. We have never eaten the free breakfast but it looks good and a nice selection. The rooms are nice and big and many of them have kitchenettes. The beds are comfy and staff are friendly and helpful. The reason for giving it a 3 ( really I wanted to score a 3.5) is that we have found the bathrooms need updating. We have stayed in many different rooms and all are the same , the bathrooms seem dirty and run down. This is also the 3rd room we've stayed in where the bathroom didn't have a fan that worked. The rooms themselves are great, just the bathrooms. This hotel is BY FAR the best option to stay at if visiting Williams lake. There is a pool and hot tub, an excellent restaurant next door, a liquor store and it's a short drive to downtown. We visit 4 or 5 times a year and won't stay anywhere else.
I traveled through Williams Lake with my family en route to Prince George, and we decided to stay at the Best Western. Very pleasant hotel, with large rooms and it was very very CLEAN. The hotel is quite large, the lobby and public spaces are well built.
“Who doesn't want to stay with a hotel where everybody is greeted with a great smile of wonderful manager. Nice staff with great information during this pandemic, incredible room services. Nice and quite stay. Upon checkout a lady greeted me so nicely with those snack bags. Thank you best western Williams Lake for wonderful experience”
A great welcome which I have hardly seen in my stays at the best Western hotels. Additionally, the staff is well-trained amid this pandemic for providing all the information in such a facile manner. I would recommend this hotel to everyone not for just a stay, but to get a great smile in the morning from hotel manager that leads it on the peak level. Thank you Best Western Williams Lake.
I had a great stay here, the staff is very friendly and the rooms are very clean. And with the current world situation, they are making sure everything remains sanitary and clean. Overall it was a great stay, would recommend!
Parents checked in here with 2 younger kids. Upon checking in they were not told there were no kids allowed, nor there was no payments to be made upon checkout with a debit card. I call next morning to resolve the issue only for the manager herself to right away get angry saying she had a big party there a mth ago(nothing to do with us) and she had to pay out of pocket costs. Stating they no longer accept payments but only credit card which she wanted to keep chrgn 200$ every day. Also she asked who is staying with the guest and she immediately got angry about kids being in the hotel like they were unwanted. She kept wanting to argue with me over the phone being extremely rude. I have worked in hotel as well as front desk staff is not to treat guests with such hostility. We are to respect the guest(s) also because we represent a hotel chain. 200$ everyday chrgd to ur credit card is crazy because the manager has trust issues..... Usually 50$ up to 250$ to hold on the credit card during the stay for damage deposits yes. But to keep wanting to chrg a guest(s) credit card is insane. Also not to give a guest an option on how to pay upon check out because someone in the past trashed a room at this hotel.....WOW to the manager here.
We have stayed in several chain hotels in Williams Lake and this one is by far the best. It is newer, well maintained and very clean with friendly staff and great complimentary hot breakfast with a variety of items to suit everyone. Great loyalty recognition. Rooms are fresh, showers have awesome pressure, beds comfy and it's reasonably quiet. Definitely will only stay here when passing through again.
This hotel was very quiet and the beds were very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and made sure I was aware of all the amenities. The breakfast was your standard hotel free breakfast, but I thought the sausages looked terrible.
I made my reservation using the BW app when I stopped in 100 Mile, as I know if one doesn't make a reservation in Williams Lake there may not be a hotel room available. BW is my go to hotel chain to stay with. I enjoy the breakfast that comes along with the room, as well as earning points that "never expire" Thank you BW Williams Lake
I've stayed here many times and it continues to be my place to stay in Williams Lake. Always friendly service. Clean comfortable rooms with great wifi speeds. Ask for a room facing the the back to avoid traffic noise. Love the modernized fitness room. Very good included breakfast. Great place.
Good solid hotel,a bit dated but one of the better hotels if not best option in Williams lake. Staff is very friendly at front desk. Breakfast is pretty good. Bathroom could be a bit cleaner, especially floor and tub.
Staff was so accommodating. Upgraded to a suite and treated very special. Front desk remembered me from the last visit. Everything was clean and fresh. Bed was comfortable and room was quiet. Looking forward to my next visit
The staff and management or both friendly and welcoming. The hotel is always clean and well kept as are the rooms. The Manager also takes the time to ensure guest comfort and takes an interest in client care.
The hotel is clean and the room was quiet. Staff were friendly and professional. The breakfast area was clean and organized and the food was good. My son used the weight room and was satisfied with equipment.
stayed many times at this hotel. The pool and hot tub are great. The fitness facility is nice and clean. The staff are very out going and quite knowledgeable if you have any questions needed to be answered. the overall experience of staying at this hotel was great. I would recommend it to anyone
This Best Western is a jewel to stay in the Cariboo area. The manager was fantastic and she made herself available to assist and answer any questions. The rooms were clean, the bed so comfy with good quality bedding and pillows. The continental breakfast has a good variety of hot and cold dishes.
Every time we are in Williams Lake, BC, we always try to stay at this Best Western hotel. The rooms are always clean, comfortable, and welcoming. The pool and spa are clean and feel so good after a long day of driving. The people are always friendly and helpful. This time we used the laundry. The washer and dryer were free and I was able to buy laundry detergent from the front desk. We had a great dinner at the Laughing Loon, a restaurant next door, and we had a great night sleep. We look forward to our next stay here.
Hi there: I would just like to comment on the stay we had @ The Best Western Hotel in Williams Lake. We drove up there to pick up our New Papillion Puppy and stayed 1 night @ this hotel and then travelled with the puppy back to Victoria BC. I just want to say that our stay for the 1 night was Fantastic!! The Free Breakfast was very good, with lots of choices of everything and the coffee was always Hot and Fresh which My wife and I appreciated greatly. The staff was amazing, room was just perfect. Very Comfortable King Size Bed. Whenever we are in Williams Lake BC again we will always stay @ The Best Western. Thank You.
Good location just off the main highway, friendly staff greeting during check in, clean rooms and comfortable beds, bright and roomy bathroom, very handy having the kitchenette when staying for multiple days, express checkout made things very easy when leaving early in the morning.
The Front desk clerk Tarum was exceptional. I have never encountered such a good service ever before. The rooms were clean and Housekeeper were friendly. Hrdik helped us with extra conditioners. Checkout needs some improvement. Morning staff was not well trained.
This hotel is right off the highway on a small sub-road. Close for convienience but set back so traffic noise was minimal. Front desk staff was friendly and the room was clean. A extra bonus was the temperature control on the thermostat. I like to sleep cool and am often challenged by the ability to set the temperature to 17- no problems with this here!
We LOVE this hotel! We would highly recommend it to anyone. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, quiet. The staff are friendly. The view of the lake is lovely. The Laughing Loon restaurant is located right beside the hotel. We will definitely return to this hotel.
Comfortable and clean room. The breakfast area was well stocked with clean and tidy counters and tables. They had everything we needed for a great stay. The staff was friendly and efficient. Highly recommended!
I have stayed her a few times now and every time the staff has been excellent to provide any assistance I needed. Each room has been great with wonderful air conditioning, beds are comfortable and the showers are hot and lots of water. It's nice and dark for sleeping and quiet as you can't hear the traffic. The manager is always very helpful to ensure my bookings are accomodated, even with short notice.
The staff are wonderful - don't get me wrong, this is not a "bad" review about them, fast friendly and eager. The bad part was the breakfast. I've stayed in many best westerns, North America wide and Europe - this was the worst. No variety in the breakfast menu offered - if you weren't one of the early people in the breakfast area - you were awarded with paper plates and plastic knives and forks. At every other Best Western my wife and I have stayed at - we always had proper plates and cutlery. The included breakfast is one reason we stay with Best Western and its usually very good - but when you have 6 urns of coffee and all but the Decaf are empty - there is an issue that needs to be addressed.
Stayed for a night with our family of 5 plus a dog, pet friendly room had its own door out back- that was a plus. Kids liked the pool. Bathroom fan didn't work so it was like a sauna when someone showered. Bath drain didn't stay up. Self serve laundry available but closes at 9, that's not posted anywhere so that was a huge inconvenience. Thin walls, pull out bed had no sheets or blankets. Overall, I would not return or recommend.
I've stayed here many times and its always my place too stay in Williams Lake. I received a call a few days prior to my arrival asking to verify that I required a pet friendly room. My mistake and they changed my room. I always like the top floor facing the back. Very quiet. Lots of parking and friendly staff. Very good included breakfast. Great place too stay.
Had a great stay for a friend's wedding. The hotel is easy to find, right off the highway for quick arrival and departure, is near a few restaurants and fast food options, and next door to a liquor store with a terrific variety of beer. Staff were friendly and the room was just what I needed. Perfect place for a quick and easy stay.
Perfect for what we needed. Breakfast service could have been better but maybe just a bad day. Front desk service was awesome. Somewhat over priced. But they have to make a living. Pool area and over all fitness was in good condition and very enjoyable. Pub next door was a good perk.
Room appeared to have been very hastily cleaned. Paper shreds and a dry cleaning tab under a desk made me wonder if the same hap-hazard cleaning was done to the sheets and towels, but I needed sleep so hit the bed and slept for 10 hours.
Just off highway 97 so easy to find. Rooms a little dated, but bed comfortable. the breakfast not really anything special, plastic cutlery and plates!! It is pet friendly tho. It also is within easy walking distance to the Laughing loon, and the rather fine visitor centre.
Very nice hotel..we would definitely stay there again.Tye location was right next to the highway, we were ready for coffee when we get there, a d there was a pot . In the morning we got our coffee before we left. Best Western is our preferred hotel to stay in.
We stayed for 1 night and the rooms were very clean. Located just as you arrive into Williams Lake, good pub next door. Hotel staff were very friendly and the hotel over all was very clean. Our room was clean and beds very comfortable. Breakfast was really good and had lots of choices. Good choice for Williams Lake. We would stay here again.
Ok Stay, more expensive than usual because of the many events the weekend we attended. ok breakfast. wifi was not the fastest. we booked a kitchenette which was only a few dollars more than the regular room and had many items we used.
Very nice and clean with easy check in. Elevator in the middle so a good location for all rooms. Our room was very nice with lots of room and new furniture. Breakfast had a very good assortment of items to choose from. Very good hot items - scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns, waffels and hot cereal. Breakfast isn't until 7:00AM that could make it bad for the person that wants/needs to get on the road early. If we are in this town again, this will be our choice without looking anywhwer else. Great staff, thanks for a great stay!
The room was very clean, as was the hotel in all the area's we went to. If I had to find anything that I didn't like it would just be that maybe more extra towels in the Jacuzzi suite. Bed was extremely comfy and best nights sleep I'd had in weeks!
Our room was comfortable and clean and the hotel is not to old so it was fairly updated. For Williams Lake the accommodations were good as we have stayed in other places their and not so good. The hotel was close to town so we had lots of choices of places to eat with just a short drive.
This is a nice , clean comfortable hotel in the heart of the Cariboo. It is located on the outskirts of town but it is right next to a lovely pub/restaurant. The beds in the hotel are super comfy and breakfast is included. It isn't fancy and it has plastic cups and disposable coffee cups in room, but otherwise it is the best choice for a night in Williams Lake.
I was in a mine rescue competition, so our hole team stayed there along with other mine teams. It was a great experience, so welcoming to all of us we will definitely use this hotel again and again! The best Williams Lake has to offer by a mile !
The staff at this location goes above and beyond, every time. Prompt efficient service, always performed with a genuine smile and interest in the quality of your stay. The facility, room and amenities are well maintained and clean. Overall, an enjoyable experience.
This hotel was a restful, relaxing break during a long, tiring trip. I highly recommend it to any traveler. The decor was crisp and welcoming, the room was very clean, the hotel was easily accessible and nicely located close to but out of the downtown.
We spent one night in a King suite room with a nice view of the lake across the highway. I used the swimming pool and spa to loosen up some sore spots after a day of driving. The pool was clean and a comfortable temperature. The spa had good jets and was easy to get into and out. The breakfast was the usual motel breakfast. Good but nothing out of the ordinary. They did have a wide variety of offerings available. We plan to stay there again in the near future.
I stayed with a group last week. We had 8 rooms. I reviewed the stay. I have since received a phone call from the manger regarding my concerns and she immediately fixed them all and apologized for my concerns. I am confident that on my next stay all will be great. Thank you to the Best Western in Williams Lake for making everything right. Great and prompt service. We will be back on our next trip through town. And Good for the management to provide job opportunities for young people. Well done.
We live in the bush. My husband had a major health scare; I followed his ambulance into Williams Lake. The staff at the BW were absolutely phenomenal! They were sure to check on me, comforted me and once hubby joined me, made him feel as safe as could be.
We always stay here, it's like our home when we're away. The staff is always friendly and the breakfast is nice to just be able to go down and grab something quick before starting your day. We never stay anywhere else when in Williams Lake.
Excellent hotel. Highly recommend. Management and staff are cheerful, check in/check out process was efficient, room was clean and fresh. Breakfast offered plenty of choice, coffee was good. Great location, pub, restaurant, liquor store 2 minute walk, casino 15 walk.
We were travelling through Williams Lake heading north. We decided that Williams Lake would be our destination for the day. We reserved with the hotel over the phone while on the road. Front desk made this quick and easy. Upon arrival we found ample parking for our Truck as we are 65 feet long. This was a great asset to us. Well lit parking lot. Front desk staff registered us quickly and off to our room. Singe King first floor. Nice size well decorated, comfortable bed and linens , all amenities were current and functional. Breakfast the next morning was provided by the hotel, plenty of options to choose from, from hot eggs and sausage to cold cereal and yogurt. Plenty to get you going. Will stay here again when, through that way. No hesitation in recommending this hotel.
Great hotel for business and leisurely travel. Close to Downtown Williams Lake, close to restaurants, great grab and go breakfast, Clean, Rooms have a kitchenette which makes it great when travelling for business. Pillow are a little too soft, and the shower could use more pressure those are the only minuses.
Very clean hotel. Comfy bed. We had a kitchenette, which was awesome. The pool was cloudy and deep, not good for little kids. The price was good. Great location and super easy to get to - right near the tourist info booth south of town. I'd definitely recommend for people needing a break during a long trip or for weekends visiting WL.
Everything that is needed for a great business trip hotel. Large rooms and a good work area. Great small wet bar area. Winter parking could be improved to get more spots available. Near a good pub for food
I hadn't been here for a while. Continues to be very comfortable. Friendly staff. Good fitness area although the elliptical seems to no longer be there. Very good included breakfast. Love the hashbrowns. Very good stay.
awesome room, great breakfast, good fast wifi, ample parking, friendly staff, made me feel welcome addressing me by name. Very helpful an all aspects. instant hot water, very quiet warm room as it was -20C outside.
Great experience and even better staff. The hotel is clearly the nicest hotel in Williams Lake, its the newest and most well kept. I would recommend it to everyone travelling to Williams Lake. We stayed on the top floor facing the water view.
This hotel was wonderful! The attendant at the front desk (Tarun) was very helpful and courteous. The room was clean and quiet, and we loved the continental breakfast!! Very impressed, would definitely stay again.
This is one of the nicest Best Westerns I have stayed at. They have an excellent Breakfast for free as well with cold cereals, waffles, muffins, scrambled eggs, hashbowns, sausages, yogurt, juice, coffee, donuts.... VERY GOOD for a hotel. Slow internet but everything else was perfect. Would stay here again in a heart beat.
Great Hotel with a excellent continental breakfast . So many options , staff was polite. Rooms were very tidy . Only hiccup I was a little upset about was I expressed how I wanted to pay at the end of my stay and they didn't adhere to my request . Would stay there again .
I usually stay at Best Westerns when traveling for work. This hotel has great rates and offers a hot breakfast as well. The staff are friendly and very willing to accommodate your requests. The rooms are comfortable, modern and clean.
My husband and i stayed here one night on our way passing through town - clean and comfortable, decent continental breakfast, pool and hot tub are clean and well kept. Close to a great pub for food as well!
Friendly reception, Clean, modern spacious rooms with lots of amenities. Great selection for the FREE breakfast. The friendliness of the staff make this place stand out. Everyone (airport staff, taxi drivers, restaurant staff) say this is the nicest hotel in Williams Lake - I agree.
Room 109 just down from breakfast room. It had 2 queen beds with a small kitchenette. It feels like an older hotel, but always welcoming. Hot breakfasts with a variety of other breakfast items to choose from. Pool area includes a hot tub and is very welcoming (aside from the colour of the water which was bright green) but still fun for the kids. Exercise room is simple and functional. No water slide and no restaurant on site but there is a short walk to the restaurant next door. There is also a liquor store next door also. Very kind customer service also. Thumbs up.
Great place, very clean with nice and helpful staff. I will be staying there each and everytime I'm in town! If you're an early riser the choices for breakfast in Billy's Puddle aren't great, so the comp breakfast at the BW was nice to have.
A wonderful, quiet hotel to stay at! The staff was friendly and helpful - they even suggested a restaurant for dinner for us. The breakfast was fresh, plenty of variety of choices from waffles, to cereals, breads, yogurt, fruit and hot eggs and sausages. And NO disposable plates and bowls for breakfast - all on real dishes including the coffee cups! The room was clean and spacious, with a microwave and mini fridge. We will definitely stay here again!
The staff at this property are very accommodating, professional and put customer satisfaction above all else. It is spotlessly clean and reflects the tremendous effort by all who work there. You cannot ask for more.
Beware if u book a room with a pet they will charge you 25 $ more The breakfast is not edible evry thing is microwaved and cold juice out of the juice depended was rotten Brown orange juice week old muffins the bed had a huge slice in the mattress made for a very uncomfortable sleep book at the remade down the road it's way better and they don't suprise you with a pet fee
The staff were all very polite and helpful. The facility was very clean and well maintained. The continental breakfast was a full breakfast with a very good variety of food. The pool and hot tub area was very clean with lots of towels and seating area.
Always a good clean stay, staff is always friendly and helpful. The value in room price and breakfast is excellent. And the location is very good, easy access to local pub/restaurant.Always make a point of staying here when needed.
I stayed at this hotel for my sons hockey tournament. It was probably the worst customer service I have had in a hotel in a long time. 1- my sons team was back at the hotel on Saturday at 1002 and they wouldn't keep the breakfast Open late so they could eat. The lady that was working the breakfast was quite rude when the boys were trying to get juice, saying how the breakfast was closed. 2- our final game on the Sunday was at 1pm and we asked if we could check out at noon instead of 11 and were told “no”. I have a best western rewards card and still was told I wasn't able to have a late check out of one hour. The team was 6 hours away from home and all very tired. They just wanted an extra hour to recover in their rooms. I feel that maybe they forgot customer satisfaction was one of the most important parts of the hotel business.
Very clean rooms with comfortable beds and pillows. The continental breakfast had lots of choices. Reception were friendly and quick and check out even quicker. Very close to places to eat and a nice pool area.
On a journey I picked the Best Western based on previous experiences and customer comments. Not at all disappointed. Greeting was excellent with the manager going out of her way to accommodate us. We had booked a pet room initially but it wasn't necessary. Out room was clean and well decked out. Microwave, fridge, coffee maker. Impressed by the way they sanitize the tv remote. We've all seen stories about remotes and bacteria. Not here. Nice breakfast in the morning and we were on our way. Checkout was very efficient. Thanks.
Very nice hotel, it was conveniently located for us. Liked the fact that there was a really good restaurant next to hotel, The Laughing Loon Pub, good food, great staff. We enjoyed our stay and would pick this hotel again.
I have stayed here for business travel. It is clean, quite new, helpful staff. There is no restaurant in the building but the pub next door is decent. You need a car to get anywhere - it's not right in town, but that is a plus in some ways (very quiet).
I always choose Best Western, they are clean and have the best breakfast included. I had the jacuzzi room and planned a romantic evening, but forgot candles...the lighting had several options and I was able to make it perfect.
Located on Highway 97 on the south side of Williams Lake. This is one of the more upscale Best Western properties I have encountered. Rooms vary in size. The roomI had was average size, with a very small bath. Window opens; climate control with digital controls draws air from outside. Windows are double pane which dampen, but don't eliminate traffic noise from the adjacent highway. Suggest even numbered rooms which do not face the highway as possibly having less traffic noise. Otherwise, the hotel is quiet. Room has good lighting, refrigerator & microwave, ample electrical outlets and an enclosed closet. Upper mid-range decor in excellent condition. Breakfast included with the room rate. Front desk staff was driendly and efficient. There is a restaurant 1/2 block north.
Nice to have a comfortable bed for a change, instead of feeling like you are sleeping on your kitchen table!! Breakfast had some selection even, hot food which was nice on the awfully cool rainy day. Like the muffins and fresh fruit was a great addition. Rooms so clean, and well prepared. Front desk staff re a joy to talk with, love their smiles.
We have stayed here before, but this time Williams lke hotels are full, I arrived to the best western in hopes of getting a rooom for a couple of nights, they kindly squeezed us in, it was very much appreciated. Rooms are clean, and staff again were great
I've stayed here numerous times. Always a comfortable bed and stay. The manager Satwant is always friendly and will try to accommodate. Nice clean rooms. Ask for a room facing the back and it'll avoid any traffic noise entirely. Good included breakfast with upscale eggs and hashbrown dishes. Good fitness area. Very good place too stay.
My family and I stayed at this Best Western in August 2018. Our stay was less than stellar. My father is a regular customer of Best Western's with his company and he used points he had accumulated over 10 years of business travel to book two nights of stay at this hotel. Not only did the staff try to then charge my Dad's American Express, they also argued with him about it. There were a couple other problems that made clear the hotel is not proffesional or doesn't care about non-business travel. Would not stay again nor would I ever recommend to anyone.
Beds were very hard and high up. Breakfast was lacking and pool was green. No a/c in hallways etc. Felt like entire common area could use a good clean. Did not have a bedside table in each side of bed
Very friendly staff, everyone we encountered was helpful and professional. Smooth check-in/check-out, no problems at all. Wife enjoyed the pool and hot tub (open 0900-2200), both were just the right temperature according to her. Very good breakfast (from 0700-1000), really a lot of hot options and something for everyone including real orange juice. The room...great to have a microwave and fridge, also the extra sink outside the washroom (which supplied shampoo AND conditioner, not 'all-in-one'). A/C worked well and it was a hot day, no problems with the wi-fi and beds were really comfortable with 4 pillows each! Lots of TV channels including some from Kamloops, PG and Vancouver as well (so I got my 'local' news fix). Location, now this depends on what you are in town for. Williams Lake is not large so driving, this isn't an issue at all. If you want to park and walk, it's a stretch to hit the center of town, the mall, etc. but right next door is a pub and private liquor store (both close early so check the hours). Also a small casino and restaurant within 5 minutes and the awesome visitor's center. The only downside if there is one, you can stay close by for less but then again those properties aren't rated as high on this site so...and, some don't include the breakfast which really can add up, even at fast food joints.
The room was clean and well stocked. The breakfast is 2 star quality, pretty nuc( sucks. The pool is to small for lengths, and the staff couldn't show me where the timer for the whirlpool was. I eventually found it, way far away. But the room was good.
Overall a nice place. Friendly staff. Just make sure you are fully dressed at all times as they do not knock and if you have a room that also has a back door, they will use it and walk right in. No apologies, no compensation... The pool is not great, very cold.
I regularly visit Williams Lake and was here for the Stampede this year. This hotel is by far the nicest one in Williams Lake. The staff are great (especially the manager) and the breakfast is amazing! Eggs, sausages, hash browns and all the continental pieces like cereals, muffins, yoghurts etc. Great hotel. Great staff. Highly recommend it!
Nice, clean hotel with a nice room, comfy beds and a kitchenette. Very welcoming receptionist (Shabnam) told us that firefighters stayed here while William Lake was evacuated due to wildfires! This fact itself added more value to this hotel. Also free laundry facility was a big plus as most of the hotels only offer coin operated washers.
We stayed here June 14-17 while attending a wedding in Williams Lake. We were 4 adults and stayed in the family suite. Upon check in, there was a bit of a glitch with the room, but the manager, Satwant, fixed the problem right away. We had the family suite with 2 double beds, a bathroom and kitchen area and a separate room with a king bed and another bathroom. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. The included breakfast was one of the better ones we have had with lots of choices, including scrambled eggs, sausages and a waffle maker. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to say "hi". There was also a pool, which we didn't have time to use, and a gym. We would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Williams Lake area
This hotel is situated right off Hwy 16 and it is visible as you approach Williams Lake from the south. We stayed here twice - once on the way up to Houston BC and once again 3 nights later on the way back to Vancouver. First impressions were that the hotel was new and very clean. The staff were courteous and very helpful. We arrived around 5:30 pm as we had to take a detour through 70 Mile House due to an accident that closed the highway. We had booked a king room for both stays and ended up with the same room both times. The room was huge. A lot bigger than expected. It faced the highway and you could just glimpse the lake between the trees. Traffic noise was not an issue as the AC unit muffled any noise. The room itself was clean. The sheets and pillows were clean and pillow top mattress was exceptional - almost as comfortable as our mattress at home. The washroom was also clean and the towels were of a good quality. However the one feature of this hotel was the breakfast! They served waffles, fresh fruit, fresh bread and buns, scrambled eggs, sausages, yogurt...the list goes on. Absolutely amazing! We have stayed at quite a few Best Westerns and without doubt this was the Best. Would absolutelt recommend this hotel.
Stayed for two nights and found the check-in and check-out easy. The room was clean and had good amount of space. There was a mini fridge for anything you want to keep cool and a bar sink that makes it easier to fill up iron than in bathroom sink... Even though room was on highway side, the traffic was not a problem as it seemed well insulated for noise. The breakfast had a very good selection beyond the obligatory waffle maker. Fresh fruit, yogurt, and various cereals, along with breads and muffins, etc.
Convenient off the highway as you come into town. Not allot of traffic noise. Nice fitness area. Clean comfortable rooms. Internet a little slow. Staff are excellent. Included breakfast a little lacking compared to previous visits. They always had something more than the other bw properties with breakfast but now it's just the standard fare. Good place too stay.
Hotel was east to find, away from pubs and downtown.. noise from highway traffic on the highway side of hotel was heard when the windows were open. Suites are not available on the other side of the hotel. Pool was not operational. Breakfast was good and available by 7 a.m. Good, accessible parking
I stay here whenever I'm in the area traveling. Rooms are clean and comfortable. They have a reasonable complimentary breakfast. This stay unfortunately I was given a room on the bottom floor right beside the dining room. There was quite a bit of noise coming from the dining room and breakfast preparation area. Cell reception in the north facing room I was in was temperamental. I guess this was the tradeoff of having my room face the highway. In the past I haven't found any of the south facing room noisy. A little disappointing but it won't stop me from visiting again.
A good hotel to visit when travelling in the area. Room was well appointed and you can never doubt the comfort of a BW bed. Breakfast had a good variety of items and the room was well laid out . Reception area a big plus, sitting area away from front desk and you could relax while you wait in a nice open area.
Comfortable and clean. Hotel seems fairly new. Good nights sleep and excellent breakfast. Opened breakfast early for us so we could get to work. Would definitely stay here again when we are in Williams Lake.
I quite enjoy stopping in Williams Lake at the hotel. They have a nice pool and hottub and their breakfast is good as well. We always stop here on our way through which is once a year. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. We had an extra child with us so we got the family room this time and we were very happy that it had a king bed and two queen beds. The price was reasonable as well for this room. The kids always enjoy going to the pool. The staff are friendly and we had express checkout which was nice.
Nice hotel nestled next to the lake ,the rooms are spacious and well kept with all the necessities you may have forgotten. The service was great and the express check out is a breeze. The best part of this Hotel is the free breakfast yummy and fresh .Don't forget your swim trunks and have a swim or a relaxing soak in the hot tub!!!!!!!!!!
Great outside access from room if traveling with pets, very helpfull and accommodating staff. Great amenities close by if needed. Plenty of parking if towing a trailer, space to walk animals if needed.
Generally this is my family and I's go to hotel when we are passing through Williams Lake, the last time we stayed at a different hotel just to try and it only validated for us why we choose the Best Western. It is clean, the breakfast is nice and the staff is friendly. We well certainly be staying here again our next trip through W.L.
I attended BW for business and had a large group of people to accommodate. Management and staff were able to shuffle around some rooms to accomadate unexpected guests joining the conference which was greatly appreciated. My room was clean, bed was comfortable and breakfast was included, very convenient for my busy schedule. I appreciate that management was able to respond to my inquiry in a timely manner. It's a nice hotel and I would return when in the community.
This is a small town with small town hotels. There are many and I have stayed in most. Best Western is your best bet as newer, cleaner and friendlier than the others. The rooms are fine, suites are better and worth the extra money.
Just had another exceptionally lovely stay at this property. The staff were as warm and welcoming as ever and the attention to detail in terms of client comfort and cleanliness of the room was outstanding. After a long day on the road it's nice to arrive to a place that leaves you knowing what to expect each and every time. I would recommend room 103 to anyone wanting a quiet room yet close to check out and the breakfast room. There was a large gathering in the breakfast area last night when I walked by, but 103 was super quiet even though it was just down the hall. Thank you so much to the management of this property for maintaining such high standards. I look forward to the next time I'm passing through and need a nights accommodation.
I have seen this hotel many times whilst driving by but never stayed there until now. Well I am sorry to say what was I thinking about not staying at this little gem. Right from the getgo this hotel ticked all the boxes I look for when I stay at a hotel 1. Great Room, very clean and quiet, excellent bathroom again, very clean - the breakfast bar was a notch above some of the better ones that I have had at other hotels, lots of tables, and very good choices of food especially for a breakfast included in your nightly stay. The staff are exceptional very friendly & accommodating check-on was very fast and efficient WIFI was perfect. Even though the hotel is right beside the highway it is very quiet it is easy to find as you come into the city, I like that because I hate trying to find hotels that are hidden, parking is perfect and there is a very cool Pub just 200' away.... All in all, I will be staying at this hotel again (and again)
We loved this hotel. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful, the rooms are beautiful and well stocked and the parking lot is huge. The information in the room included a list of places to get food and how much the delivery prices were. They had pots and pans, a microwave and toaster along with an almost full sized stove and fridge. We will not stay anywhere else in Williams Lake again. I would (and will) recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Williams Lake.
The Front Desk Staff are polite friendly and very helpful. The housekeeping and janitorial staff do an excellent job of keeping the hotel spotless. Even the manager will pick up a mop to keep the lobby clean. Everybody seems to work together to give clientele the ultimate stay. If this hotel was in Vancouver we'd be paying up to $300. a night.
I like the Best Western in Williams Lake, I have stayed there a few times. I have a lot of allergies and I find the place to be clean and well kept so I am comfortable there. The staff are very professional and friendly but what I noticed most is that they are very kind.
I like everything about this hotel. The ladies that work at the front desk make a point of making your stay comfortable. Very nice rooms, quiet throughout, along with a great breakfast! I have stayed at this hotel at least 10 times and it has never let me down!
A relatively new facility with all the amenities one can expect from a hotel of the 21st century. The rooms are clean, sheets are crisp, the staff is professional and friendly. The breakfast is good and beats that of other hotels in the area. The carpet in the staircase to the upper floors needs replacing, but other than that it's a good value for the price.
We stayed for 2 nights at the hotel on a business trip in November. Once we got there, we realized that it was the same hotel that we had stayed at on a business trip several years ago and which we had found to be a good stay. The hotel is very nice and clean, the rooms are clean and well furnished, and I found the staff to be friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was fine, I am not giving the full five circles though because there were a couple of things that could be improved. - The first night, the room attendant had left about 4 little bottles of conditioner and one shampoo. I thought it was an oversight, but my colleague reported the same in his room. The second night the bathroom was stocked with equal amounts of shampoo and conditioner. - The water pressure in the showers was very low. If you have long hair, count on some extra time to rinse the shampoo out (if they give you any). I was in a hurry, so I resorted to switching the water from shower to tub and kneeling down in the tub to rinse under the faucet. - They use some very strong sweet-smelling cleaning product in this hotel. If you have sensitivities to perfumes, this could be a problem.
Well built, well designed, and convenient location. Staff are great, breakfast, pool and lobby are wonderful. Whole there is not much nearby hotel, there is a great pub, restaurant and liquor store right next door. Great beds!!
I have stayed in this hotel a number of times for a corporation that I work for.....it seems to be fairly new, and the buildings and rooms are in good shape....there is a warm continental breakfast each morning, and the rooms and common areas are cosy and roomy enough. I find this hotel to be a little lacking in friendliness, I recently asked the manager if I could store a keyboard for four days between two ten-day trips and was declined. Compared to the Super Eight down the road, or other Best Westerns, such as Penticton, it seems to be missing something in the very corporate atmosphere.......this hotel seems to have the environment of the Best Western in West Kelowna, another extremely formal location,,,,,,I would give it 4/5 for the building, and 2/5 for the overall atmosphere.... .......
Every time we travel to Williams Lake, we always try and stay at the Best Western. Not only is the staff great, but the hotel has everything you need. Comfortable beds and pillows, pool, hot tub, hot breakfast and a business area. There is also a nice lounge/pub next door that serves pretty good food that also has a really nice custom built wood pool table. We were assigned room 214 this time. Same as all the other rooms we've stayed in with our family of 4. It had 2 queen beds, cable tv and was able to have the fan circulating the air at nigh. We really do like staying here when we come to town. Highly recommended.
I've stayed here several times. This time i was in for 2 nights. Great staff at the desk. Especially Sahwati. (I've probably spelled it wrong). Comfortable bed. This time the place seemed to be lacking on a few fronts. My room had burnt out light bulbs. The pictures were crooked and the empty toilet paper wasn't replaced. Also the room carpet was dirty. The included breakfast was also basic and not like it had been in the past. Tables were dirty as were the chairs. Just lacking the attention and not what I'd seen from this place in the past.
Very clean hotel with amazing staff who are truly interested in ensuring every guest is comfortable. I always look forward to a night at this hotel when on a road trip as I know I'm guaranteed a great sleep
Where do I start, I absolutely loved this place! Everything about it, from the wonderful staff, to the amazing views of the lake, and the great breakfast, words do not describe how amazing it was. My husband and my 6 kids, had a blast in our jacuzzi suite, and joining rooms, what more could we ask for. BUT WAIT! The staff made it even better by being so helpful, you know how it is with the kids, they LOVED the waffles and yogurt bar, where you could pick your own toppings, nothing a kid could get away from. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone going through beautiful Williams Lake, 11/10!
My husband and I stayed on a recent trip and cannot say enough about this hotel! We arrived a little early but were exhausted from the long drive so we tried our luck at checking in. The lovely front desk attendant (can't remember her name) allowed us to check right in to a clean and comfortable room. The bed was perfect- one of the best sleeps we've had in a while. We loved the indoor pool and were so happy to use the exercise room after being stuck in the car. Everyone we encountered at the hotel was so friendly and happy to help us in any way. Breakfast was great and had many options, on top of all this- views are stunning. Will stay here again and highly recommend to all!
On those rare nights I decide to spend a little more than bottom priced motels, I do expect more from provider. Overly mushy back-breaking mattress, overly humongous neck-breaking pillows, miniature tub, slow draining sink, babies crying next door, bathroom so badly laid out it's difficult to enter, TP and kleenex of sandpaper texture, measly packets of powdered coffee whitener in room, internet constantly cuts, water in miniature pool and hot tub is green and water entry all slimy...
So after a long ordeal with Wyndham we ended up booking online with Expedia, when we went into the hotel the lovely night front desk clerk couldn't find our previous paid reservation. So we check online and totally booked the wronge day, the staff was so good at first we thought we had to wait till it came threw on her end. She offered to get room ready while we ate dinner, then 8t still wasn't there so finally we noticed it was booked for the next week, of course booking threw Expedia we had to call them, the lady waited on hold while deal with a very busy check in time, waited almost 30 mins to finally explain that we booked the wronge time and that we needed them to correct it. Then she tried to get the points on our card but couldn't because we booked threw a 3rd party, what a pain. So anyways thank's to the staff for all the time effort and support , the hotel was so nice pretty new , newest in the puddle. Nice decorated front entrance good computer room everything you need. The room was super nice great bed and pillows, nice clean new couch not a scuff on the wall, not one thing to complain about, best view in the puddle, you can see the lake. So clean well maintained when we went to the pool which was lovely there was a lack of towles I called to the front desk and the staff didn't skip a beat, she was down there with clean warm towles, thanks again. So the breakfast is the best I have had for a free brrakfast, there is gluten free, almond milk in the back just ask if needed, there was 3 kinds of yogert not flavors kinds, two kinds of eggs, a meat, many breads and sweet treats, they stocked the fruit mid meal time, the staff is on head smiling away with anything you need. I will definitely be hitting g up some best westerns in the future.
Clean lobby and homes. Comfortable stay and breakfast included. Appreciate that reservations are taken at the front desk instead of being redirected to central booking. Friendly staff and hotel is next door to pub/restaurant with homestyle food. This is the only place we stay when overnighting in Williams Lake for it's cleanliness and friendly staff.
Best Western was great, has clean rooms, excellent breakfast, fast WIFI and friendly staff. Had a pool and hot tub, quiet and close to town. Clean breakfast area, good coffee. Nice entrance and sitting area
This hotel greets you with friendly and professional staff, offers a great breakfast, and ensures a smooth checkout. It is a very clean and up-to-date property, and the rooms are very comfortable. I have stayed at other Best Westerns, and this one is definitely at the top of my list, and it is also the best hotels in Williams Lake.
Our stay at the Best Western in Williams Lake, BC was great! We were greeted at check in by Annie the front desk clerk. She was genuinely kind and professional. It was nice to have someone who cared about customer service. Thanks Annie! The two queen kitchenette suite was perfect. Lots of room and extras like toaster and dishes and full size fridge. The beds were comfy and the bathroom was nice and clean. I will definitely be using the Best Western on our next stay in Williams Lake.
Awesome time staying here. It was our anniversary. They gave us nice big wine glasses for the room. The lady at the desk was very helpful and pleasant. Love the jacuzzi suite. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. In my opinion, it's the best one in Williams Lake.
Was in town for funeral and given a decent rate but.... first there was an unidentifiable bug on wall (seems it was a maple beetle), then I spotted previous guest's facecloth above shower curtain (when I was already in shower) and when I went down for breakfast at 8:30 (available until 9) there wasn't much left. Was discounted $4, sigh. At least the bed was comfortable
The rooms are clean and comfortable (beds are amazing!); the staff are professional and friendly; breakfast buffet had lots of options. Overall, an excellent experience. I would definitely stay here again.
The hotel was clean, good staff, friendly and helpful. Good location, easy to find. The breakfast had a lot of choice. Hot or cold choices and drinks of any kind. You can sit out back of the room and enjoy the fresh air and the end of your day.
There were several things in the room that did not work, but we have stayed at this hotel in the past and did not let this experience affect our overall experience with this hotel. The breakfast was excellent and well presented. The rooms were clean, but a few things didn't work properly. We have stayed here before, so this trip didn't affect our overall experience with this hotel. This is a great, convenient place to stay in Williams Lake. The people are friendly and professional.
Whoever fitted up this location cheaped out and bought hollow metal doors which block zero noise, with strong automated closers that slam them shut extremely loudly. Every single door. Every single use. As soon as any person on your floor leaves their room, you'll wake up. Generally at 6am. Made worse by the main floor room being tile instead of carpet. And those hollow doors (with no soundproofing) mean you can hear every word from people walking down the hall. The main purpose of a hotel is to sleep. If you can't sleep past 6am, the location is useless, no matter how good the beds or service are. Also, "complimentary hot breakfast" is worth exactly what it cost - eggs from a box and pancakes made of starch and sugar. Tip - knock a few bucks off the room rate and just keep the oatmeal and fruit, it doesn't help your reputation to advertise a hot breakfast when it's garbage.
I found the staff to be very helpful, firstly to accommodate a very early arrival, and later that day when I was having problems in the business centre. They were prompt to provide a solution, and seemed very pleased to be able to help.
The room was good, the service on arrival excellent. The TV remote did no function The whirlpool stunk of urine and was so filthy the water foamed up like a bubble bath absolutely disgusting - yuck!! If the local hygiene officer sees this, you must go close it down before someone gets terribly sick!
clean, pleasant hotel close to pub and casino but far enough away from industry and out of the valley. breakfast does not include any hot egg/bacon offerings but waffles, fruit and bagels are more than sufficient.
The foyer is very nicely decorated with comfy chairs. The pool and area is a treat, along with a hot tub.Lots of parking space for an RV. Pet rooms on groung floor with outside access. Computer room for hotel guests. Free Wi-Fi.
This Best Western is only 5 years old and easy to find, when you arrive in Williams Lake from the south. We received a warm welcome at the reception. Our room was very spacious, nicely decorated and well maintained. A high King bed with excellent mattress, working space, plenty of electrical plugs, an individual coach and one for three, a huge flatscreen and a small kitchen corner with fridge, microwave and coffee set. There's enough space to lay and open our suitcases and, for the first time this journey, not on the floor. The bathroom is perfect with enough towels and beauty products from Pantene. WiFi is complimentary and very fast! Ear plugs are recommended because of all the traffic on the highway in front of the hotel. Complimentary breakfast is OK. Upon departure, you can pick up a complimentary bottle of water at the reception. The Laughing Loon restaurant next door was a perfect choice (see separate review). We were happy with our hotel choice in WL.
We stayed one night on our way to the Lower Mainland. Checking in was fast and easy. The clerk was polite and helpful. The rooms were good. The only issue, and by no means the fault of the hotel staff, was the lingering smell of wildfire smoke in the hotel. For those reading this, the city of Williams Lake was evacuated due to a wildfire and the smoke was certainly still noticeable a couple of weeks after the people returned to their work at the hotel. Overall great stay, nice room, fantastic hot breakfast. Thanks to BW staff at Williams Lake.
What is there not to like about this hotel as a first time customer and a repeat customer in the future. The breakfast selection rivals menu restaurants, okay not quite, but you get the picture. From the moment you walk in the hotel you feel this is where I want to relax for the evening. Breakfast is free, which a crime, they should charge for that feast they offer.
Basic in a good way. This hotel provided everything I needed for a business trip - the basics were excellent and there weren't unnecessary frills (except for the large jacuzzi in the room!). The breakfast was basic but substantial. The king-sized bed was comfortable and the room was a good size.
The staff at this hotel were top notch. I cannot give a fair evaluation of this hotel because this entire community has been facing wildfires and evacuations. Due to the wildfire issues, it would be unreasonable not to expect some maintenance issues to fall behind. Regardless of these issues, this hotel is very comfortable and clean.
Stayed at the BW in WL during the fires. Staff was super accommodating and understanding. They went above and beyond to make us comfortable. The rooms are standard rooms for a BW. Super clean with all the amenities one needs. Would def recommend.
In Williams Lake during fires to ensure that town, emergency operations Center and public have phone and internet access. Super friendly family owner family. Since most of places were closed due to fires, they had fresh fruit, sandwiches and drinks set up in the lobby for free. Amazing. Room was very clean and comfortable. During evacuation they stayed calm and supportive. Love this place!!!!! PS. Duck taped the door to minimize smoke.
The continental breakfast is second-to-none. I can't think of anything that I wanted for breakfast that wasn't already there for our choice especially the waffle iron - it doesn't get any fresher than that.
Traveling South with family. As always the Best Western Williams Lake is a great place to stay. Always friendly helpful staff. Great rooms. Very large, rooms, comfortable beds. Always quiet. Great hot breakfast, with waffle maker, scrambled eggs, sausages, & hasbrowns. Has a pool and nice deck area but we are usually just stopping for a quick rest and do not get to make use of this part of the facility. Great place to stay. They have an extra large room with separate bedroom. Has 3 queen beds. Great for large families or travelling with a group.
Wonderful amenities, very polite staff and clean rooms and hotel. Very well situated, close to the Williams Lake fairgrounds. Pool was enjoyable and hot tub was clean. Highly recommend this hotel, and will definitely return!
I found the hotel clean. The staff was always helpful when I need an extra hand with the children. The hotel accommodated our request to have rooms across from each other. The breakfast was great for the children and okay for me. The hotel had lots of parking and it was easy to find.
Hotel gets high ratings for this town on internet sites. It is conveniently located next to the main highway with one half of the hotel overlooking the highway and lake. It is quiet. It is popular, 100% occupancy the night we stayed. We were enroute from the island to Houston for a family funeral. Allergies 101. Our room was top floor facing the quieter back side onto hillside. Entire hotel however is tired and the carpets and soft items in need of upgrading as if you have allergies beware. Staff were pleasant but could not change room due to occupancy rate and most likely all rooms are in similar condition. It was clean generally speaking but we'd not stay in this venue again.
Good location near highway and close driving distance to town.Staff is always friendly and helpful. There is a nice pool and hot tub area kept very clean and a good breakfast in the morning to keep you going.
We never stay anywhere else, there is something to be said for being treated not just as customers but as friends. The staff always go above and beyond to make their clients happy and comfy, this even includes the wee ones who are spoiled with attention and included in the conversations by the staff instead of ignored.
Even at a very busy time, the service was great. Rooms clean with everything working. Great breakfast included. . Great location to highway and restaurants. Would not hesitate to stay here again when we are back in town
Clean and comfy hotel with very helpful staff. Breakfast was included with good hours and assortment. A nice pool and gym and business room for printing/fax etc. I will be staying here again for future work trips and will recommend to others.
Great hospitality and friendly staff who went out of their way to make me feel welcome. Location good with easy access to highway. Very comfortable and well maintained hotel. Will definitely be my go to place in Williams Lake.
Stopped for the night on the way home front desk staff were friendly room was nice clean the bed was very comfortable and the room did have a kitchenette. I had the breakfast which is included with the room and it was 100% better than the last time I stopped.
Easy to find and in a convenient location. Helpful friendly and accommodating staff. Room was very clean and comfortable. We stayed in the jacuzzi room and it made our stay in Williams lake feel like a nice vacation away. I would highly recommend this Best Western to friends and family.
Even though this is a relatively new hotel, it is sorely in need of an update. My room was small, carpets were dirty, TV signal was terrible. The bathroom was closet size. This hotel has gone down hill since I was last here 6 months ago. Next trip to Williams Lake I will try another hotel.
The hotel Is new, convenient off the hwy and modern inside. Free breakfast, good wifi, fast checkin. Clean and affordable. I like the hotel chain for the specials and promotions and consistency in the product.
Everything was as you would expect in BW stay. Best place in W.L. Breakfast was much better (Real food) then most included breakfast in other such establishments and the person doing it was great. Beside hiway on secondary road but quiet with windows closed.
Everything was GREAT, was advised when the hot tub was been cleaned and when it was OK use, the service, room, people were excellent, rooms nice and clean, fridge worked great. Within walking distance to the Laughing Loon.
We had a late check-in time due to road delays, calling ahead to advise the hotel of this was confusing and the staff weren't very helpful. When we arrived, there was nobody at the front desk (despite having 24-hour front desk service) and we had to call to get the staff person's attention. When he arrived, he looked disheveled and was not efficient with our check-in. The room was okay, generally quiet, but there was a hole in the ceiling in the bathroom that made us feel uncomfortable.
the hotel staff managed to open up a room for me at last minute notice which helped expedite the business call that I had to make the next day. The room was clean and the morning breakfast was hot and delicious.
Have stayed here quite often. Convenient location set back from highway. Like the room décor and the helpful staff. The fitness room and pool and hot tub all looked clean and inviting although we did not use.
The hotel is fairly new, staff are friendly, great breakfast, nice rooms. Indoor pool looks good. hot tub was very dirty heavy foam. located just outside of town. Not close enough to walk down town for me but for someone in shape? about 2 Kms. Laughing Loon pub and beer and wine store right next door (great place). great kitchenettes full stove and fridges, microwaves. clean. Showers are weak.
This hotel is spotless. The grout in the white tile in my bathroom is sooo sparkly. The girl at the check in counter was super friendly and efficient. Bed is comfortable and bonus....restaurant/pub right next door.
Very clean and new hotel. Rooms were very well appointed. Breakfast area very clean and welcoming. Good food selections. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bath rooms are large and roomy. Bed and bedding were very comfortable great pillows in room and towels very soft and thick.
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at this Best Western. We were greeted by a helpful, caring person. The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. There was a door leading out to a pet area within the room. The breakfast was the best that we had on our trip from Seattle to Anchorage, AK. Internet- great! Couldn't ask for more.
Please review my comments for my overall review of my stay. I likely will not stay at your hotel...your walls are poorly insulated and other hotel guests are inconsiderate and loud. While hotel staff addressed my noise concerns with the involved guests, I was not given another room, which may have changed my decision to check out early. I could hear guests, crying baby, from other floors...as stated the insulation needs to be improved.
This hotel is beautiful from the outside in. The staff is souped friendly and helpful. My room was clean and comfortable a great night sleep. Breakfast was a bonus and delicious. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
We found this hotel to be clean, quiet, and modern. The beds were very comfortable and the included breakfast very good as it had hot food as well as continental buffet items. Very good value. Also had ample parking for our pickup truck and trailer.
Traveling for youth sports. Stayed on our way to Richmond. Group of 6, we booked the Family room. Was a great space with 2 bathrooms. Hotel was very clean, friendly staff, & excellent breakfast. It is a great place to stay.
I've been staying in hotels for eight months now and this was hands-down the most comfortable bed I ever slept in. The manager was very kind when I checked in and I had a lovely view of Williams Lake from my suite. This was honestly one of the best hotel stays I ever had for $100 (USA). I will go back there again.
Basic Best Western Hotel. But even being basic it is the best place to stay in Williams Lake. Good location just a couple minutes from the downtown area; right on the Hwy. Walking distance to a good pub and the casino. Room was clean and comfortable. Also very quite. Price was reasonable. The included breakfast was not great. Ok if you want cereal, toast etc. But the hot items (eggs & sausage) were poor quality and dried out. Friendly front desk staff. Will stay here again the only downside was the breakfast.
Although the hotel appears nice the rooms ESP the bathrooms needed a good cleaning. We had a family suite and the king sized bed was hard to sleep on. The queens were no better some mattress toppers would help! The water is yellow in this hotel the hot tub was not balanced and bubbles overflowed it was disguising. Check in staff was friendly when our in room remote was not working properly. The breakfast needs fresh fruit options and more healthy options like cottage cheese or even gluten free options. The breakfast was still good tho.
I stay at this hotel regularly for business. It is really clean and the staff are very welcoming and accommodating which I really appreciate. Good parking. Lots of different options available for breakfast. The internet service is somewhat intermittent.
We arrived at around 8pm on Sunday night. We were assigned room 210. Just up the grand staircase and across the hall. Our room had 2 queen beds and a small, yet full size kitchen! It had a full size fridge, all the pots, pans, toaster, m/w and even a stove! It would have been awesome if we were to come here for a longer stay! We took a dip in the hot tub and pool before bed. The pool room is open until 10pm. We didn't use the exercise room but I took a look and it was nice. If I was ambitious enough, I would have... but I'm just not. The breakfast in the morning was hot buffet style. There were sausages (2 kinds), eggs and hash browns. There is a waffle maker to make your own waffles also. Hard boiled eggs, cereals and a section of fruit, yogurt, pastries, breads and hot oatmeal packages. There is also a selection of juices and of course, coffee. Our check in was great! I am not sure how to say his name property, even though I repeated it 3 times, I should have wrote it down and it sounded. However you say it, he was excellent! Quick check-in, and we didn't even have a reservation! We also had a quick and easy check out too. We were offered the express checkout, but we were not in a big rush. I highly recommend the Best Western in Williams Lake!
We arrived early and had a change of plan. We decided to check in early. It was before noon and the normal time for check in is 3pm. The front desk staff was very accommodating. He let us check-in. We get to rest before we went to our appointment. That was wonderful. We will definitely stay there again next time we are in town.
I have been staying at this Hotel now for several months since I moved to BC. It is around the 1/2 way point from my parents home to my home. I must say, it is one of the best Hotels I have ever stayed at around the world. The staff are excellent and friendly, the rooms are always clean and smelling fresh, I have had only a one minor complaint once with this establishment and it was corrected immediately.
Hotel staff always very friendly and helpful. By far the best hotel in the area. The complimentary breakfast is always well maintained in a clean environment. Highly recommend this Hotel. Recommend booking ahead for your reservation
Overall the room was nice and clean. Bed comfy... Great having a kitchen. BUT Door did not lock, thankful for Door Latch. AND I think there was a Herd of ELEPHANTS running up and down the stairs... good thing i am a heavy sleeper!!!
Great location and amenities. Good service. Stove in the kitchenette was not level but reported that on checkout. Only other problem with the room was the toilet roll holder was broken but advised front desk on checkout. Missing from this Best Western was the cookies or chocolates at the front desk in the evenings.
I stayed at the Best Western Williams Lake on a business trip, and I'm sure this is the best option in town. It's fresh and fairly new, the beds are comfortable, and some rooms have a nice view of the lake and surrounding mountains. The pool and hot tub are a nice bonus as well. It isn't quite in downtown, however is only about 5 minutes away. There is also a good pub next door for dinner, an easy 2 minute walk. I'm quite sure I will stay here again next time I'm up north.
I love that quiet location and the staff is always very helpful. I got upgraded on my last visit which was very nice. I'll probably always stay there it seems safer than staying downtown and there is a nice pub next door.
Over the past 5 years I have had to travel the Cariboo a lot and Williams Lake is always convenient spot to rest. All the hotels there seem like dungeons EXCEPT for the best western. Its by far the best dungeon of them all. Rooms have always been clean, beds are really comfy and defiantly has the best continental breakfast out of everywhere that I travel. It is the only place I would recommend staying while in Williams Lake!
I was driving through Williams lake en route to burns lake and I stopped over to stay the night. I first walked into the super 8 and checked out one of their rooms and the standard was very poor, so I went next door to the best western and although they were 15% more expensive it was well worth it. The staff are super helpful and polite.
My friend and I just returned from a long weekend at the Best Western Hotel. The staff is genuinely helpful. The hotel is perfectly located, walking distance restaurants, casino tourism centre and the liquor store!. The rooms are elegantly appointed, beds super comfy, Jacuzzi and Clean shower and full kitcthen with coffee machine. I would come for the coffee alone. Pool area good size and indoor, but nice lounges and furniture. Would gladly come back!
I travel to Williams Lake 2-4 times a month and I always chose to stay at the Best Western. Conveniently located right off of Highway 97 the Best Western is simply the best. The staff is always friendly and greet me by name every time I return. The beds are so comfortable I often find it difficult to get out of bed before checkout time. I think the only thing that helps pull me out of bed is the delicious breakfast which includes scrambled eggs, perfectly cooked hash browns and delicious coffee. The rooms are large, clean, modern and have all the amenities one needs while away from home. There is plenty of well lit parking available and some spots have available plug ins to help starting your vehicle after a cold cariboo night. I've stayed at other hotels in "the puddle" and nothing compares to the Best Western's value, cleanliness and friendliness.
I travel to Williams Lake about 4-5 times a month for work and this hotel makes me feel right at home. The rooms and amenities are top notch and as well as the staff. Its conveniently located right off the main road, which makes it very easy to access. There is lots of parking which is helpful when the hotel is at full capacity. Everything is super clean. I always eat the continental breakfast which has all of your essential breakfast items and great coffee!!
I had to stay in Williams Lake for 10 nights, so I chose the BW as a friend had recommended the hotel to me. I had a room with a stove, oven, fridge / freezer, microwave, toaster and kitchen utensils so I could cook in my room without having to eat out all the time. Saved myself lots of money! :) Also they have free self serve guest laundry too which helped a lot. Great hotel, friendly staff. The free breakfast finishes at 10am though, so I it would have been better if it stayed open for a little longer.
I'd never been to Williams Lake before, so I searched around a few of the local places to stay. This hotel is by far the most modern and newest hotel in the area. The room was really clean and the bed was comfy. The front desk lady was very helpful and polite however she was very busy taking calls and checking people in so I would suggest they need another front desk person too, as I had to wait to check in. The free continental breakfast and unlimited coffee was really good so overall a great stay!
I spend time working in Williams Lake, and need to stay at a hotel. I have tried several places, but find the Best Western to be the best. It's clean, comfortable, the breakfast is good, with some hot items, and the staff are friendly. I plan on continuing to stay at this hotel as long as I am asked to continue working in this location.
Stayed here to break up our drive to northern BC. as well as on our return trip back to Vancouver. It is conveniently located, just off the highway. Clean rooms, well appointed, comfortable bed, friendly and welcoming staff and a hot or cold breakfast included. Booked a room with a King Size bed and were quoted a very reasonable price. When we got the bill the next morning it was for quite a bit more. Took it to the front desk where they explained the bill was for one of the jacuzzi rooms and it was their last available room. It was a nice room but as it wasn't the quoted price they adjusted the bill to what we were quoted with minimal fuss.
We like staying at Best Western hotels when on the road and so chose this one in Williams Lake. It is an attractive facility with a large, well decorated lobby, common seating area, and breakfast room. Both check-in and check-out were easy, and staff were very pleasant and efficient. Our room was large, overlooking the front parking lot but was very quiet. There was a king bed, desk and chair, and kitchenette area with coffee pot, microwave, small refrigerator, and sink. The large TV and wifi both worked well. The bathroom was a decent size with a large sink area and standard tub/shower. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and welcome after a long day of driving. The hotel is on the south side of town and next to a restaurant (separate review) within walking distance. We did not have the breakfast but it looked like an extensive continental spread. We would stay there again if in Williams Lake in the future.
We stayed overnight at this property en route to Terrace BC and were happy with the experience. The property is pretty new and well kept. The rooms are clean, modern, fresh and comfortable and the linens crisp. Reception was warm and friendly - their courtesy set a nice tone for the experience. There's plenty of parking (including for our bike). Breakfast was included and offered good choices. There's a bar/restaurant within 2 minutes walk - we didn't eat there but my friend says it's great. We ordered in from a local pizzaria for dinner. It was expensive and awful - I strongly recommend ordering from one of the established chains as they'll deliver. The BW's a little removed from town and on the main route - this was a blessing for us but may not be everyone's ideal. We'd stay again without hesitation.
We stayed here for 1 night whilst on a road trip. We stayed in room 223. The room was clean & a good size, with a comfortable bed. The ensuite bathroom was spotless. Had a nice breakfast in the morning with plenty to choose from, even for the most fussy of eaters!
We recently spent some time in Williams Lake and came across the Best Western. The desk staff were really friendly and would even say hello when we came across them in the town. Rooms were surprisingly nice, modern and clean. Continental breakfast was convenient. The parking lot is quite large and we were able to park my SUV w/ motorcycle trailer in the parking lot. Walking distance to a local pub and right off highway.
They have everything you need including pool and exercise room for those wanting it. Very clean hotel with very friendly staff. Good selection for breakfast. No highway noise despite our room facing the highway.
I am fairly easy going when it comes to my stays in hotel as I travel a lot but felt that this hotel has really dropped in the quality of their housekeeping. Upon arriving to room it was apparent it was not properly cleaned. Candy wrappers, popcorn, a general mess all over the carpet. I looked at bedding and every pillowcase had black hairs on it. Called front desk and was told that there were no other rooms to move me to and that I would have to wait for her to come and change bedding as she was only one working and had to manage lobby. I felt bad for her having to run everything and she was very nice. She said maybe all the hair on pillows was cleaning staff which was a reach in my opinion as there was similar hairs in shower. No ability to vaccuum that night so I had to wear my shoes all evening in the room. Another disapointment is they no longer serve scrambled eggs which was always awesome to have for breakfast. Was told they do not have the plug in space for all the hot plates with addition of new fridge. I would recommend if you had to get rid of a breakfast item that it be the canned beans in the hot plate and return the scrambled eggs.
Perfect stop-over hotel for Hwy 97 travellers. Adjacent property to Laughing Loon ~ excellent pub, and beer & wine store. Easy access to BC Hwy 97 (mere meters). Though a 100% non-smoking facility, ground floor rooms have outdoor access where ash and trash cans are stationed outside every door. Very restful stay en route to Prince George.
I have stayed at most of the hotels in Williams Lake and I think this is the best one. The rooms are nice, have fine toiletries and it is near to The Laughing Loon, an excellent restaurant. The breakfasts are fine and there is coffee in the room.
The stay was very relaxing and i always like the freshness of a best western. I would of liked a bit more in the breakfast menu as the only eggs were hard boiled it would have been nice to have scrambled.
We were in Williams Lake for a family wedding...stayed 2 nights. Nice clean rooms, and pool was great. The free breakfast was okay, nice range of food. This was our second stay in the hotel. Safe parking lot for your car.
Best Western in Williams Lake is a great comfortable hotel and we always choose it when we drive thru town. The rooms are comfortable and the prices fair. Dont always have time to use the facilities but the breakfast has alot of choices for one included with the room. Excited about our next stay.
We were on our way to Haida Gwaii and this was an excellent stop for us coming from Washington State. We stayed two nights and looked around the area since we had not been in the area for many years. The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly, the hotel was very clean and the location was perfect for us.
excellent hotel for this small city. excellent staff, very friendly & accommodating. we just stayed overnight as we drove thru. Originally we booked thru HotWire & there was a reservation/booking mistake....one bed instead of the 2 beds that we requested. The front counter staff immediately rectified this error by HotWire @ no cost & apologized.
Once again Best Western, Williams Lake did not disappoint -- check in was efficient and seamless - our room was clean, comfortable ---------- breakfast offered both hot and cold choices. The kitchenette and fridge was very convenient. We will be back, when in the area.
Average 3 stars hotel. Rooms are spacious, beds comfortable. In my case, the bathroom was in urgent need of attention (tap of the bath tube partly detached from the wall). Good WIFI connection, modest breakfast.
Really enjoyed our stay here, when we were travelling through the area. It was cozy, clean and the rooms were huge and had a kitchenette which was great. The staff at the front desk were very friendly. What you get for what you pay is very fair. The only thing that knocked out review down a solid star was the pool. It was a beautiful area and had potential to be great, but it was very neglected during our stay and we ended up not going in at all. The hot tub was in bad shape and overflowing with gross foam and the pool looked murky and green. This is a great stay if your family doesn't use hotel pools. After a long day of driving we were excited to hit the pool, and left disappointed. No other complaints.
The hotel provided good service at the front desk. Room was comfortable, clean and functional. It has a nice large TV but no HD channels. Rooms have a microwave and fridge. It has a swimming pool with hot tub. I'd stay here any time!
Were( wife and I) are not easily pleased and past experience with some other chains was very disappointing. When we traveled last, in Europe, we paid upwards of $ 500 per night in some countries rather than feel uncomfortable in lesser hotels.
Hello I have stayed at this hotel three previous times all good. I stayed on August 13th and had a horrible stay. After driving for eight hours we just wanted a nice relaxing evening, first they put us in room 229 right above the pool. Never thought anything of it until we went to bed and heard kids screaming at the top of their lungs, we had to listen to that until ten oclock. I called front desk they did not seem to care, just a casual Im sorry. Second people across the hall decided to party until 2:30, meantime I had to be up a 7. Again no care from front desk. I had also asked for express checkout which we have had in the past, this is very convienient for getting up a going in the morning. When I opened door to leave their was no paper work, so I had to wait fifteen extra minutes in the morning to leave so I could check out. Doesnt seem like much but when you only slept for over four hours and have another seven hour drive it is very frustrating
We had friendly staff and good service at Williams Lake. The breakfast offered hot items as well as cold, we found it satisfying. We would return and stay at this hotel again if the opportunity arose. It was nice to have coffee and tea offered in the main loby for guest.
Great stay as usual at Best Western. Quiet despite the numerous motorcycle riders from Australia. The rooms were large as was the bathroom. The complimentary breakfast had a large variety of items, none of which were stale doughnuts and weak coffee. This was only one of the thirteen Best Western motels that I reserved on this trip to Alaska and back. Does this tell you anything?
The hotel was good, the rooms were clean, the check in went quick and the lady was very friendly! Kids had a great time in the pool, it wasn't anything special but decent. The free breakfast was ok but a person can't really complain as it is free! I would stay here again!
Very Clean, very nice rooms. First time to Williams lake. Beautiful city. Will stay at Best Western again for sure. The hotel was very nice. Recommend to anyone traveling to Williams Lake. The Pub next door was nice as well.
Well there is a few problems with this hotel. The contenental breakfast is only available assuming you get in being the room is to small for the guest. Gave up went to Dennys. And after waiting for 10 min for change for the vending machines, a fella next Steve told me they didn't have change for a $20. Was shocked, told for a 10 minutes walk I could get change, unbelievable. Do yourself a favor stay elsewhere where you can actually get the services that are supposed to be provided.
Located just off the highway, easy access, Staff very friendly and the room price was very reasonable. Room was very clean with lots of room to move, offer a free hot breakfast. They also have an indoor pool. Great place to stay, only spent the night, will stay again.
We were extremely pleased with our room # 329, overlooking Williams Lake! The room was spacious, very clean, the beds were incredibly comfortable, it was quiet and just perfect! Breakfast is included and very nice. The Laughing Loon Pub and Restaurant is right next door and very nice! We would definitely stay here again! The front desk staff were wonderful and friendly.
Was a very quick stay but the check in was good and the room was clean and comfortable. Asked for a room with a lake view and ended up looking out at the air conditioning or something but other than that it was a great hotel. Definitely a place we will stay again.
This is a very new hotel to the Williams Lake area and it is the best in town. I am so glad BW opened up here. The room was great with a single queen mattress and comfortable pull out sofa. A nice sized desk, good size bathroom and clean. I travel to this area 3 or 4 times a year and I know where I will be staying next time. Great property and extremely nice people working there. Next time I hope to have time to use the pool and hot tub.
This hotel offers everything I'm looking for when I'm passing through a city. The beds are very comfortable, the room was clean, and the staff were very professional and friendly. The hotel is located a very short drive from some restaurants (or a slightly longer walk).
Front desk staff was great, check in was quick and efficient, got corner King size room with jacuzzi which we used in the morning after excellent night sleep felt rejuvenated. continental breakfast was very good with variety items
First of all I have a family of five and usually have to sneak a child in because of the fire restrictions on more than 4 people in a room-rule. This hotel has a nice room with a king for the parents in their own bedroom and two queen beds in the main part. The room is spacious and clean and includes 2 TV's and micro and fridge. This came at a reasonable price especially when you find out it includes breakfast. The continental was one of the best ones I've had. It even had pan fried hashbrowns with peppers in it. The staff was friendly too and facilities were clean. I guess there's a pool too but I never visitied it. Comfortable beds too!
When I first arrived, I wasn't greeted with a smile or told that they would be right with me. Helped myself to a seat while the one desk person helped someone else. Stayed in a Suite with 3 beds. The suite bathroom walls and baseboards were scratched up. The bathroom in the main room didn't have a ceiling fan. For the price of this room, I would have expected much nicer. Breakfast was better than average.
we arrived here in williams lake for a night and decided to stay at the best western hotel. we made the right choice after having a great night sleep. the rooms were very comfortable and the bathroom was spotless...will be back
Excellent Service @ this Best Western. Very prompt & professional @ check-in, & different than some BW, they do recognize BW Diamond membership. Rooms were clean & they have family suites which is a big plus for us.
Booked the hotel through airmiles. The check in was seamless, and friendly. the room was spacious, and clean. We went for a swim in the pool, it was well kept, and refreshing. The ladder at the pool had a few loose bolts, that could not be noticed unless you were swimming, and using it. I told the front desk, and they got me to show the maintenance man, right away. I was impressed with the safety attitude
We were satisfied with this location and were glad that we chose the Best Western for the night. The location was close to the highway and was easy to find. The staff were helpful and every thing was delight full. Thanks for making our trip great.
Check-in was friendly and competent. The ground floor room in the back of the hotel is perfect, as the back door makes for an easy exit to a patio and wild-flower bank... perfect place to walk the dog. $20.00 per night seems a bit excessive for the dog, though. The breakfast was disappointing; hash browns and baked beans with no meat offered struck us as curious. There is a waffle maker, some cereals, and muffins and bread to toast. Room was clean and quiet. TV works, and I finally managed to fix the aspect on the TV so that not everyone looks overweight. (Why do so many hotels do that?)
I stayed here previously and had a good stay, so thought I would book here again. The hotel is newer, the rooms are clean. The staff were friendly and the breakfast in the morning was a great bonus. The hotel is easy to find right off the highway.
Comfort at the end of a long day on the road. Clean, well appointed room with free wifi and a couch so I could put my feet up! Front desk agent was friendly and welcoming. I have stayed here before and recommend this property to family and friends.
We found the best western in Williams Lake to be very clean and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable and the room was large with a pullout couch and desk space and a little kitchen area. The bathroom was very clean and bright and a good shower. The pool was a little cold for my liking and the hot tub needed defoamer. The pool area wasn't the cleanest area, the tiles could have used a good clean and there was gobs of hair in places. The breakfast was okay but there was no spray for the waffle maker and therefore the waffles were sticking, some was brought out when we asked for it, Not a lot of choice for hot food, just beans and homefries and boiled eggs. No bacon or sausage. Maybe we just hit it on the wrong day. The staff on the desk was very friendly when we checked in
This is a fairly brand new hotel that has a very easily accessible access point off of the main highway into Williams Lake from the south. The hotel was very clean and beds were very comfortable! Each room includes a fridge and microwave, plus a sink/bar area which was nice! Staff were great and were able to tend to all of our needs/requests. Excellent rates and we were blown away by the complimentary breakfast that this hotel offers each morning. Usually when you think complimentary continental breakfast, you think muffins, juice, yogurt, fruit. But this hotel offered a full breakfast including eggs, hashbrowns, beans, waffles, etc. - we were very impressed! We also quite enjoyed the pool and hot tub area of the hotel for a nice relaxing soak after a busy day of sightseeing. The pool and hot tub area were always very quiet too, often we would have the place to ourselves! Next door to the hotel is an awesome restaurant called The Laughing Loon which we walked to and ate at multiple times - I would highly recommend it! The service road infront of the hotel is also very convenient for travelling along to get to the Tourism Discovery Centre, McDonald's, liquor store, hiking trail, etc. I would most definitely stay here next time I return to Williams Lake!
Just a few things that became a little annoying, which is unusual for a newer hotel. Bathrooms didn't have a fan in them.. told Williams Lake Municipality wouldn't allow.. which seems strange as the room would steam up? Ice cold pool, but when we mentioned it to staff told they would pass message on to person who dealt with it... concluded it never happened as pool was cold all the time.... Breakfast was great, but when you get down at 9.30am staff would NOT replenish missing items... so get up early to get the full thing. Great free laundry inhouse!! The room was superb... very clean, modern and lovely hotel overall. Just a few niggles :(
I would definitely stay at this hotel again in the future. It was easy to find and had some easy to walk to restaurant and casino near by. We were just passing thru for the night and this was perfect. Also breakfast is good.
Probably the best hotel in Williams Lake. The staff are friendly, the rooms are clean and breakfast is good! I recommend staying here when traveling to/through Williams Lake. If there is an issue, the staff are very helpful and the owner is kind!
Staff, rooms and location very good. Breakfast not so much. Seems to get worse each time, most things empty and have to wait for food a lot. So salty (and I like salt) I couldn't eat hot entrees at all this stay.
Hotel was nice, central. Had wireless problem at 11 pm, staff came up immediately and were able to solve it with no grumbling and were very nice about it. Have stayed at this location 3 times with no problems and it is a nice hotel with a nice view of Williams Lake from one side
Excellent place to stay, good staff, very good free breakfast. Hotel has a swimming pool, lots of parking. Rooms have enough room to be comfortable. Rooms have a fridge and microwave if you are staying for several days. Easy to find and to get in and out of. Rooms were quiet even though close to the highway.
Very nice hotel. Clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good. Everything looked clean and well kept. The beds were very comfortable. The kids enjoyed the swimming pool and the hot tub was relaxing.
Hotel was quiet and rather empty, but we had a great stay. Hotel is quite new. The room was clean and the staff were friendly. Got a good price. Even though it's on the highway, didn't hear much traffic. I would definitely stay again.
I was impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel and the room that I was given. I was there for two nights. On the second night, I was awakened by the noise from a loud group in the next room. I called the front desk, and the night clerk handled the incident quite well - he visited their room and asked them to keep it down. The remainder of the night was quiet, and I got a good sleep.
We stayed in the one-bedroom suite for 3-nights, and it was very spacious. Lots of room for a family of 4, and very comfortable. In the morning, it was very nice to go downstairs for the breakfast (included): Make your own waffles, assorted breads and cereals, scrambled eggs, baked beans, coffee, tea, and fruit. The kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub, so that added to the enjoyment of 3 days in Williams Lake :)
A great option when staying in Williams Lake. I've stayed here a number of times. Nice rooms, comfy beds and very clean. I've found the staff to be friendly and the included breakfast has good hot and cold options. I will certainly stay here again.
From reception to the room, everything was very good. Suggest a room facing the back into the hillside if you want it super quite. A great breakfast with beans, hashbrowns and eggs. All very good. Indoor pool and hot tub. A small workout area with a treadmill and eliptical. A short walk to the laughing loon pub or try joeys grill.
I stayed here last year as well, Stayed here this time around while driving from Vancouver to my home town. Building is good as its new but customer service n few other things can be better. You shouldn't have to say I m checking in, it can be more welcoming. Heat in the room wasn't on when i went in, It's small heating unit for such a large room, took at least couple hours to even feel a little bit of warmness.when it's -7 outside n such small heating unit I would recommend that should be turned on before arrival. For the dinner you have to go out. Pillows had stains on them, rather than removing them from the laundry those pillow were placed under the good ones that to me isn't the care you would have for your customers. Front desk staff except the young lady in the evening shift seemed energy less n lazy. May be its coz I work in hotel where staff is super friendly with people but I couldn't connect to the hotel as I should have been. I felt ok I got the room sleep, pay n leave. That's not the way. So I feel services issues should be addressed as its a great building and I can be much bigger. People I know prefer Quesnel BW these days while traveling from Vancouver coz it's not far n service is much better although tower inn is an older building.
If you have a pet, this is the place to stay! The pet rooms have their own door to the back patio area and the rooms do not smell of a million pets which is rare. Great place to stay with your furry friend and the rooms are modern, clean and spacious. The free breakfast is also a bonus! Try to book online, search around for the best price because the front desk didn't want to match online prices for some reason.
Great hotel to stay in Williams Lake. Clean rooms, good clean lobby area, included breakfast with lots of options, courteous staff and quiet with highway access. Special thanks to Harjit. Would love to be back here again
Did a one day quick trip into Williams Lake to look after our 16 month old grandchild, so our daughter and son-in-law could really enjoy a staff Christmas Party and have no worries. Very pleasant experience, will stay at this Best Western again.
if you book this place through an online booking site you are almost guaranteed to get either an "accessible" room or one in a bad location (or both) Room was good and comfortable aside from it having Accessible handle and being located beside the elevator (the hotel was almost empty)
this place is right on the highway, it is always clean and comfortable. The breakfast is always a little marginal but there are lots of choices. The beds are good and the staff are friendly. Not a bad place to overnight!!
A perfectly unremarkable hotel for a decent price. Parking was a little limited and access via a portage road made the entrance easy to miss. The room was fine and quite clean, beds were comfy, shower pressure was a little weak, and the breakfast was about what you'd expect for a complimentary breakfast (cold cereals, middling eggs, made-to-order waffles). The wifi was constantly kicking us off and dropping. When it worked it was fine. Overall, nothing too special.
Always enjoy my stay there. Staff are always helpful and most important the beds are very comfy. Breakfast is better than most continentals offered at other hotels. there is something to eat even if you are gluten intolerant (eggs).
We have stayed with the Best Western in Williams Lake since they have opened. We will continue to do so as the staff always goes above and beyond to make our stay not only pleasant but warm and welcoming. Every time we arrive its like we are part of a larger family and we are coming home to see them.
I have stayed many times in the past while travelling for work I have had dirty beds on three occasions and on the last one the second room they offered me had a dirty bed again Their housekeeping is not doing their job Terrible cause the rest of the place is good I gave them two more occasions to try and fix the problem and this last time was it for me Good luck to anyone else trying this place
I really enjoyed my room - very clean, comfortable and quiet. Parking was cramped (especially for someone with a large truck). The breakfast buffet is quite limited and does not meet the standard of the Coast Fraser Inn.
I needed a place to stay with a business centre, free wifi, and close to the highway.. I found everything I needed in one hotel. Close to lots of food and a great tourist centre. Nice indoor pool as well. The breakfast was very tasty, the room was very clean, large and staff very helpful. I spoke to other clients that week and no one had major complaints about the lack of cleanliness. The deposit is required but so do many other hotels. You get your money back if you don't make a mess. Cheers!
The staff was very helpful and the hotel was clean. The room was very nice and the bed was VERY comfortable. If you have more time there is a great fitness area, with pool and hot tub. It is easy ti see from the highway and makes it easy getting on and off. Some eating places close.
Upon check in they wanted a $200 deposit due to their past experiences with guests. I have a major credit card and didn't run into a problem like this before so I requested to view their policies that they had in place to ensure that this was mandatory. The manager refused to provide me with the policy for the deposit and took a tone with me. The bathroom was out dated. They didn't have any movie channels. The phone in the room was damaged. The guest assistance book was in very rough shape.
There was food left in the fridge from previous occupants, phone didn't work, tv service ended at midnight - pool and hot tub were fantastic, location is good. Staff were super friendly and helpful. I was given a $37 credit for my troubles, but after paying for a suite @ $200+ it didn't seem like enough. After finding the food in the fridge I questioned the cleanliness of everything else. The carpet also needed a good wash. We stayed at the sandman the next night and it wasn't much better - good luck in Williams Lake!!
Great place to stay, the staff were friendly and courteous. Breakfast was great and the pub down the block offered a great evening meal. As always, Best Western offers great value and excellent quality.
Very nice hotel. Pool, Fitness center. Nice lobby. Breakfast. Fitness center could use a few more pounds in the weights area. Breakfast could use a bit more of a selection. However, free breakfast, shouldn't complain.
If your traveling to Bella Coola, Prince George or beyond from Calgary or Vancouver, this is your place to stay. You will not find a dated property at this place. Rooms are clean and comfortable and they offer a nice complimentary breakfast. Rooms facinh Hwy 97 offer a view of the lake.
Room seemed a bit small for 2 queen beds and a large chair and ottoman between the night table and the wall. Suggestion, maybe have more king size beds in this type of room. Since we had booked shortly before our trip we took the room with 2 queen sized beds. We have stayed there before and will stay again.
I've made it a habit to just book this place. Super friendly staff, a great breakfast and comfortable, clean rooms. An indoor pool and fitness centre. Not much within walking distance but a 5 minute short trip into town.
Positives: * The room and the stuff inside was in a surprisingly good, like new, condition * The room facing the back was pretty quiet. The only noise was coming from neighbors in the corridor * A clean washroom * Thick blinds * Comfy beds * Lots of parking * A good pub nearby * Great value - Located at the entrance to the city, no entertainment in the walking distance Definitely will be on my top list !
