Love staying at this hotel when seeing concerts at Windstar. I have stayed here with family and friends. Stay has always been good. Clean rooms, good breakfast and decorated nicely. I would recommend and plan on visiting again soon. Now that I am retired I plan on staying at more Best Westerns...
The front desk staff are wonderful, the bed comfortable, downhill from there! We were there two years ago and it was very nice. This time, the room needs a good dusting, bulbs out, coffee maker broken, direct tv box had to be unplugged and plugged in three different times in two days, body wash empty, something was spilled all down the bathroom door and not cleaned up……
The lady at the front desk was wonderful, kind, courteous and silly. We were there on July 25 and 26th. She was very helpful. I believe your knee was Tammy. The other lady that took her place in the evening was also very nice, but I did not catch your name. Additionally, the rooms are nice and the bed was comfortable. Thank you!
Only negatives: Bed was hard but I always complaint about hard beds. No bar of soap. The shower disperser liquid soap was also empty. From now on I will always take with me a small bar of soap and shampoo if these dispensers are not checked every room cleaning. Also a bar of soap by the sink would have been nice. Felt very safe. Floor/carpet was clean. My socks stayed white. Did not look like could walk to casino. I saw no shuttle bus either. I think my husband turned the fridge to high and it froze a 2 littler bottle of coke. Make sure fridge is on medium. Strange $25 charge was pending for a while until the room charge showed up. I guess this was a damage deposit. Breakfast only had 2% and whole milk. No skim. But again, I'm the only one that ever complains about that. Lighting in bathroom was not bright enough to apply makeup properly. No make-up mirror. Price was a bit high. I think it was almost $150 for a weekday. Still cheaper than staying at the casino.
Beds are comfy, rooms are clean and cool! Great breakfast choices: Waffles, bagels, scrambled eggs, sausage, cereal, coffee, apple juice and orange juice!
Stayed in this hotel after we saw a concert at the casino. Walked into heat slamming us in the face. It was very hot and muggy in the lobby, hallways and stairwell. After checking in we were told the elevator worked but didn't work. Said if we wait awhile it will work. With a person in our party with mobility issues, we decided to give it a try. After waiting 5 minutes we ended up using the stairs, which was not great for someone with mobility issues. We requested a room on the 1st floor, but was told they were all taken. We were happy to feel cool air when we got into our rooms. The a/c worked well. The shower had a hand towel as the shower mat for the floor. The floor was very slick so had to be careful to step on the little hand towel as to not slip. The bed was hard. The pillows were uncomfortable. The couch had stains all over it, and the white towels had stains as well. The wall soap dispenser in bathroom was empty, so had to use shower gel to wash hands. Also the fridge is very noisy so unplugged so we could get some sleep. If this hotel were cheaper I would say yes it is doable, but for the price I would drive down the road 10 minutes for some nicer hotels in the same price range.
Located seconds from the casino. Room was lovely. I was in town for a concert Wednesday-Friday. My neighbors in the adjoining room were quiet until Thursday and proceeded to get worse on Friday. They slammed their doors constantly both in the room and the exit door. After I got back from the concert there was some sort of screaming, slamming, throwing altercation coming from the room. This went from about 10:30pm to about 1:30am. I did have to be up at 6am for an hour drive to Dallas to catch a flight. Needless to say sleeping was not great. The light bulbs in the room do need to be updated with the same color and a little less bleach on the towels would be lovely. Overall the stay was lovely, except the neighbors. I did not go to the front desk to complain because I felt it would only make matters worse.
I spend a lot of money at the WinStar casino which bring A LOT of business to your hotel in Thackerville OK. I was stuck in town due to not having a car and no Ubers in sight so I attempted to get a room. They told me they could not get me a room until after 3pm which was fine so I decided to wait in the lobby until they were able to get a room cleaned. The young lady I originally talked to at the front desk was decent enough but after a hour or so one of the workers yelled at me and told me I could not be in the lobby and needed to find somewhere else to wait. She literally asked me to sit outside until a room becomes available. Absolutely ridiculous!!!! I will NEVER and I mean never step foot in your establishment again. And I will post this on every social media platform and make it go viral. I cannot believe how your company treats customers.
This is my second time staying at this site. Both times I have friendly people check me in, answer my questions, and making me feel welcome. The road to the hotel is a little bumpy, but, the hotel is clean, friendly, and comfortable. Close to Winstar casino, I think this is the best place to stop and stay for a while.
This Best Western really need to be updated. The bathroom was a mess with tile grout issues and rusty uncovered base screws. Wrinkled bedding looked slepted in. Rough thin unflattering blankets. Needs paint..carpet full remodeling!! Sad
Great location but overpriced. Room needs to be updated, mattress needs replacing and amenities needs to be updated also with coffee pot being cleaner or replaced. Microwave ok but had cosmetic defects but it didn't work.
I was charged for a room that i never stepped a foot in. BW knew i was not staying but wouldn't let me cancel. I paid the SURGE price of a Concert Night room fee. There were others asking for rooms, but i couldn't hang around to "sell" my room or id miss the event i was attending. I suppose BW needed the $250 more than i did.
My husband and I were very satisfied with our stay here. The location was semi-private, the hotel was very clean, and breakfast was delicious. The bed was comfortable, the room smelled fresh and clean, the bathroom was really nice. The entire staff that we interacted with was nice, friendly and willing to help. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you everyone for making our wedding anniversary a very pleasant stay.
We needed a last minute getaway and our original location that we stay at was booked so we booked a stay at Best Western and we were unexpected surprise how much we enjoyed our stay. The location was clean and comfortable and the front desk was warm and welcoming. We would stay at this location again and would recommend to anyone.
Great service, everyone very polite. Food was warm and plentiful. Coffee was outstanding, rooms were clean and we will definitely be staying here again. I would recommend this to any one. I would rather stay here than any other location in the near area.
Best Western just took all my Travel Cards, I tried calling them, no luck... I booked my room with my travel cards, Upon checking In, front desk told me, my travel cards, only have 30 some dollars, but I have put 2 $100 of travel cards, total of $200. I emailed them, and all they told me, is to give me 8000 points if I stay for 2nights which is already a promotion going on :( The room we stayed smells like pee, on the side of the bed. I didn't complain, as we only use the room for a few hours as we are there for the Casino. anyhow, I won't recommend this place, I wish there's Hilton hotels near by, unfortunately this is the closest available.
Best Western Red River Inn provides a great alternative to the casino hotels on interstate 35. A place tun by humans that understand the needs of everyday travelers by meeting needs without pricing services beyond reach
I usually go to the casinos a couple times durning the year and I always go to this hotel. The staff always are so kind I haven't met a rude one yet. If I need something and ask the staff they always have what I need.
We took our 18 year old son to the Winn Star casino and he loved it. The Best Western was a good option since it was a 2 minute drive to the casino. However, we were charged at a higher rate when we checked in than I originally booked. We would have just stayed at the Winn Star hotel which was the same rate.
Very enjoyable place and great staff! Our check in was fast and easy, room was very clean and comfortable. We felt very welcome there and was very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again when in the area.
We made a LAST minute decision to go gambling and EVERYONE was booked! They got us 2 rooms was super polite breakfast was great there was plenty of options great for the kids we didn't have any issues at all.
This place was fair priced and convenient location. There could be a few improvements but overall we would stay again. Pool had a lot of debris and room could have been cleaned a little better. Breakfast was mediocre.
The staff were extremely pleasant, professional and helpful. The breakfast was like you were at home. The dining area was so clean and there was an assortment of choices for breakfast. It was constantly attended by one of the employees, which was so nice that you never ran out of anything. We were there to visit the WinStar Casino and it is so convenient - minutes away. Suited our purposes fantastically.
Everyone was so helpful and kind our room was very clean and fresh will be coming back and staying when in the area! We were close to the Winstar Casino and Golf Course Which is why we were in the area!
We chose this hotel as Best Western is known for quality, and also because the whole hotel was non-smoking. The bed was comfortable, they seem to have a water softener system, with high pressure shower. We slept well after gambling at Winstar. Only minor complaint was the blackout window curtains don't close completely when the AC is on (unit is right below window - so it blows them open. Other than that. - clean stay.
To start, I want to say we booked this hotel rather last minute with the intent to break out our road trip. We wanted to stay at the Winstar but it was sold out. The reviews on this place and the close proximity made it an easy choice to book. We arrived very late, just after midnight with our two toddlers. Check in was very quick and the front desk attendant was polite. Unfortunately when we entered our room it smelled horribly of smoke. We attempted to move past this and quickly put our children to sleep. The pool out bed from the sofa had no bedding on it which required us to go downstairs and get additional sheets, blankets, etc. Although the staff was nice and the breakfast was good - I would not stay here again. I was really disappointed that for $300 we ended up staying in a room that smelled of smoke, had amenities missing, and was overall not well kept (food on floor, holes in ceiling, etc)
Good place to stay by Winstar casino and golf courses. The price was very reasonable and included breakfast. The staff was very friendly and the lady working breakfast was very accommodating. The room was ok and will be staying in the future.
This is a great hotel to stay at. The casino hotels were all booked and what was available was way out of my price range on a Saturday night. BW is .25 miles of the casino and is reasonably priced. I mean you get free breakfast!! Tammy was great helping us get checked in. I will definitely be staying here again!!
Hi I am Willie , my family and I enjoyed the stay at Best Western RedRiver Inn and Suites. The service was great and the room was very clean. Breakfast was great . Bacon and sausage would be wonderful.
I feel like I'm a celebrity whenever I arrive at this hotel. Good treatment and very professional staff. They are quite helpful and makes sure I have everything I need for a pleasant stay. Great food and snacks.
Exceptional customer service. Easy access to casino. Breakfast area was very clean and stocked. A very good variety and fresh. Very friendly staff. Will definitely return and very close proximity to casino.
We stayed here with our two dogs (pet fee reasonable at $15 per pet). Our room was clean and comfortable and overlooked the rIver. The hotel location was great. Right in the middle of town, right on the river, close to good restaurants, close to grocery store and a short block from a park. Everything within walking distance, including ski lift (although off season now). And breakfast….fantastic! I would have to say the best hotel breakfast I have ever had, with choice of everything, including eggs made to please and freshly made bacon and waffles. Kim rocks the kitchen! The only suggestion I would give is to request an upper room, as we heard a great deal of activity from above with late night arrivals. Upper room overlooking river for sure!
Best so Western Thackerville has staff that are trying hard to please. The rooms are clean and and the shower is hot and at the perfect angle. And when so many Best Westerns all over the western states have used Covid as an excuse to give you just a granola bar and a yoghurt for breakfast, an absolute sweetheart is on duty at the Best Western Red River Inn & Suites to make your breakfast be sausage patties, scrambles, biscuits and gravy, toast, yoghurt, fresh fruit and fruit in syrup, and waffles with real butter (!) and orange juice as well as light medium and dark coffee as well as other hot beverages. As a purist I could hope for actual maple syrup, but maybe they'd have to raise their very reasonable prices. I had difficulty figuring out how to operate the TV, and one woman on the desk charged $1.50 for bottled water when everyone else charged just $1.00, but otherwise our stay was quite pleasant. Probably because we stayed 5 nights, we were upgraded to a suite.
We stayed overnight at the Best Western Inn and Suites in Thackerville, OK. Our stay was very pleasant with the hotel being nice and quiet. The only downer was that the hotel seems not to be on the Winstar Casino van route any longer. That is not the hotel's fault.
i love how where ever im at i choose best western and it never fails me its nice clean snd comfortable stay always everything is great.the breakfast has a variety of items to choose from completly free.and the inside as well as outside looks amazing at every location ive been to completly satisfied
Great value within walking distance of the Winstar Casino. The casino was full and I was looking for another option. Very glad I found this one. Friendly, helpful staff, very clean rooms, good breakfast.
Great staff, great room, until the lights turned off. The exterior lights shine up under the curtains directly at the bed. I fought to hide from the light all night. I didn't say anything. Just dealt with it. Maybe an upstairs room next time. Not cost effective for my first get away in years.
Beautiful Place and a great breakfast and the staff were very friendly and helpful with everything. I would come back and recommend for anyone to give this place a try its well worth the price and breakfast
Good location for the places we were going to. Room was not thoroughly cleaned. Evidence from last residence left in the nightstand. Felt as if cleaning staff was thorough enough to ensure next occupant was exposed to possible contamination.
We loved the location and the coziness of this small hotel - Great BF attendant and quiet location. Last minute trip to OK to spend some time at the Winstar Casino and it was perfect to get from hotel to casino. Sonic right across the parking lot and Not far from great restaurant in Ardmore (Prarie Kitchen)
Great place for a quick get away. Very friendly and helpful employees. The carpet could have been a little cleaner in the room but overall great stay and very convenient location. We would recommend this location and will likely return.
A longtime friend and I chose this hotel as a midpoint (3-hour drive each) to meet for a visit. We rented two adjacent rooms for two nights. Unfortunately there was only one chair and ottoman in the rooms' seating areas. When a room is called a “suite” for two, the expectation is comfortably seating for two. We ended up driving to Gainesville, Texas, each day so we could visit and chat at Starbucks and other restaurants. Otherwise this is a clean, safe, quiet hotel.
Absolutely wonderful staff at this location, management should be very proud! Very clean and well taken care of hotel. Location was perfect for us! We really enjoyed our stay and had everything that was needed.
Room was very large and clean. Staff very attentive and friendly. Breakfast was really good and hit the spot. We will be back when traveling thru Oklahoma. Overall a 10/10 rating and I'm not a fan of hotel stays .
I stayed at Best Western, Thackerville, OK, from June 27-30, 2021. After staying in several hotels in Gainesville, Tx, and not being satisfied, I decided to stay at this location, near both Winstar and Border casinos. I was pleasantly surprised. The lobby was clean and comfortable, desk staff was welcoming and patient, the room was adequately furnished and there appeared to have been recent renovations. I stayed on the third floor to avoid overhead noise, but saw no children and room occupants were very quiet (or at the casinos). I chose to put a "Do Not Disturb" sign out during my stay so as to limit staff in and out of the room to clean up. The parking lot was clean and it was a joy being there. The only con was that you have to walk outside and around the building to get to the pool. This will now be my go to hotel for future visits to Winstar and Border casinos.
We decided on a Tuesday that we wanted to go to Win Star and booked the room that day , we arrived on Wednesday and the check in was quick and easy. The hotel was very clean as was our room. We slept well in the comfortable bed.
This is a great location and hotel. The staff were very professional and friendly, the room was very comfortable and clean! The rates are competitive with the casino rates, the room itself was more comfortable than the ones at the casino. We had a great stay and will stay there again.
My husband and I wanted to visit the Winstar Casino. This Hotel was very close, easy to access from main hwy. staff very nice and room very clean. For the price I would definitely stay here again. Breakfast due to COVID was brown bag but offered warm sausage biscuit sandwich along with fruit, yogurt water, coffee, juice. All good
We found this place to be clean, and well staffed with friendly people. Breakfast was great and we were very pleased. This place is located close to the casino, sonic and a massage parlor. Very pleased with everything overall.
Pleasure trip I enjoyed the care I reseived wile staying at the best Western from your employees also I never got to meet Tammy who took my reservation over the phone she was very carring and told me to have a save trip up there several times wile one the phone very polite thank you for carrying
Wind star casino the biggest in the United States and our best western was maybe a mile away it's perfect gamble have drinks and the road back to the best western is straight no lights it's great I love to stay there
I had 2 rooms at this hotel this trip. I accidentally booked the wrong night and she happily fixed it for me. Very nice staff and helpful as well. I would recommend this hotel to anyone needed a place to rest for a night or 2.
Friendly check in and out. Clean room, comfortable bed. Outside area clean with convenient parking. Reasonable rate. Grab and Go breakfast (due to covid) Was more than enough and we enjoyed it. Thank you to the cheerful lady that was serving Breakfast so early in the morning! Casino is close by, but not really walkable. Only minor complaint: internet connection was very poor.
The one thing I have to say is this: No pets other than service animals...ok, that's fine...but don't let guests that have the service animal leave it in the room alone. The last thing I expected to wake me up (and keep me awake for well over an hour) in the middle of the night was a barking dog. The guest left the dog in his room alone to go to the casino. This should NOT be allowed.
Everyone was nice and room was clean. Pillows could have been better but ok. Breakfast was good the area was clean and pleasant. We plan to use this hotel again when visiting the casino. Staff is very helpful.
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND HIDDEN FEES.... I have been a rewards member for many many years the worst customer service I have ever had. This hotel charges you unreasonable reservation fees. They took almost $350 out for 2 days and seems they don't care. They tried blame it on my booking agency for error but I called the front desk and made my reservation directly through their hotel staff. They charged me monthly instead of daily rates I was told by staff they couldn't correct until I checked out, I see why there are no guests here THE WORST HOTEL CUSTOMER SERVICE. CHECKING OUT NOW WIIL NOT STAY TWO DAYS. SAVE YOURSELF TIME AND MONEY AND STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE.
We stopped here for the night and had a great stay. The lady that checked us in was very friendly and helpful. We were allowed to check in early. The room was clean and very comfortable. The bed was comfortable. The room had microwave,tv, refrigerator and coffee maker. We will return and recommend.
Nice room...very clean. The staff was very nice. The complaint we have was the price we were charged for a one night stay. We live over 200 mi away and we came in for a concert. We understand that it was New Year's Eve, but you should not be able to triple the usual one night fee...that's nothing short of highway robbery...
I felt so welcome, the desk staff & the ladies at breakfast were absolutely amazing. Such wonderful people all-around. Thank you for being so accommodating even though y'all were working on Christmas morning. Much luv <3
The hotel is immaculate! Best Hot Breakfast ever! Lots of variety and tasty food. However, the water pressure is low and the soap does not come off easily. Hard Water possibly. Does not make a person want to wash hands or bathe in such a situation where the soap has the feel and possibly does not come off. However, it is offset by the staff being super nice, specially Susan, who is in charge of breakfast.
The Best Western Hotel was great ,we took the shuttle to the Casino ,enjoyed our playing time ,the shuttle friendly driver was pleasant we had a great night sleep in this clean & quiet place. Good breakfast in the morning with a great selection of dishes , fast check in & out ,a very nice stay.
Great rooms, friendly staff and safe parking. Combined, those all make for a great place to stay. The night clerk went out of her way to show us where to park out truck and trailer with ATV's on it for the best lighting and so she could watch them on the cameras. The breakfast ladies were so happy, friendly and cheerful, it made breakfast an uplifting experience. The room was clean, well appointed and quiet.
Room was clean and comfortable. However the curtains location near the a/c made them blow constantly. Letting in the street light illumination. Front desk was great except for one major problem. I made my reservation online through hotels.com, and chose to pay upon arrival. When I paid I explained that I would be paying for the room with a different credit card than I had reserved it with. No problem, I was assured. Upon arriving back home, I was charged for the room on both credit cards!! One charge foe $129, and one charge for $148. This is the only problem I experienced. However it is kind of a big one.
We decided to try BW because it was $100 cheaper than staying at the WinStar Inn and $200 cheaper than the Winstar Resort. Also, liked the idea of a free breakfast, which was served from 6-10. We got down there at 8:30 and the food was almost gone, maybe they refill; I don't know. There was no seating available so we had to awkwardly, carefully take our food to the room. The bed was comfortable and spacious. The water was treated with something that made it feel "slimy" so no matter how much soap used couldn't rinse it off and I guess the same water used to wash the towels as they were "slick" and unable to dry your skin. The Direct tv would freeze every 10 minutes so unable to watch any show, which was only a handful of channels anyway. Fortunately, we were really only there to gamble at the casino. The room looked nice and new.
Get a room on the backside. We were given a room on the highway side, it was noisy & a light from the building behind us came through the curtain. The tv cable was not working properly. Not the cleanest place. I expect more from a BW plus! I told the front desk of these things st check out, but they didn't care. A budget hotel!
This is my go to place when visiting Winstar. Beautiful and clean hotel and the staff is so nice! I will be seeing Chaka Kahn in January and I'm already booked. You will be very proud of this property,
The lady at the front desk knew how to navigate the Casio during the concert. The casino is a mile long and she offered pointer as to where to park for valet quick exit .She was also very enthusiastic and excited for us to be there
Staff was quick to call for casino transportation, really enjoyed having a computer to check in on business and my numerous emails. Work-out room was well equip. Breakfast had a large menu to choose from. Tables and food area was very clean.
We loved our stay at the hotel! We were in for a show at Winstar and did not want to speed $400 just to sleep!!! Crazy! So I booked the Best Western and loved it!!! There was even a 24 hr shuttle that took us back and forth to the casino and Best Western! Best part? It. Was. Free!!! Also we could ride it as many times as we wanted!!!!
They are getting it right at this hotel. Everyone was so warm and inviting and we instantly felt welcomed. The rooms were very cozy and the bed was so amazingly comfortable. The room was very neat and clean, we were extremely pleased with it all, and the hot, full breakfast waiting for us in the morning.
Perfect stay near the casino if you're planning on visiting. Paid less than $150 per night, awesome customer service, complimentary shuttle to the casino, complimentary breakfast, high speed internet, etc. We stayed at the casino to drink and play more than sleeping at the hotel, I wouldn't dare pay $400+ a night for a room when I can catch a free shuttle to the Best Western for the same bed. Will definitely be booking a room at Best Western next time we visit.
Our stay was so pleasant. Front desk was helpful and the breakfast was fresh and delicious. Sometimes you just find a room for the night -- this hotel leaves you with some great memories of your trip.
A little more than what I wanted to pay for a one night stay but the room was excellent. The front desk lady was very polite and courteous. Tended to our needs in a timely manner. Will stay again if price comes down.
We had a great stay at the Best Western. they were a wonderful staff who made us feel welcome. They were patient as our group checked in. Everything was ready for us when we arrived. The place is quiet and the shuttle is timely. We only had to wait once for more than 20 minutes. I guess the more people, the longer it takes. We were on vacation so we didn't have complaints. The rooms were nice and clean and the breakfast was good. Would recommend this hotel.
The Winstar casino is one of, or the largest casinos in the world. It's actually a mile from one end to the other. If your staying at the hotel which located at one end of the casino be prepared for a long trek to the other. However no need to worry for the casino has all the table games, and slot machines a person will need to satisify their desire. Oh, yes the Best western Red Inn which is located almost walking distance to the casino, and also provides 15 minute shuttles back and forth to the casino provides free breakfasts for guests. The quality of the rooms, and bedding is excellent by all standards. I actually enjoyed staying at the Red River Inn which saved me extra expenses that I put to good use on the casino floors.
Huge rooms, a very nice pool area & hello! It's about $150 cheaper than staying at Winstar. Plus there is free shuttle service! The only downfall was breakfast -everyone at all the precious sausage!:)
The room at the Best Western and staff there were terrific. The room was nice and clean and big enough to move around without bumping into each other. Complimentary breakfast was good and the staff was very helpful and very pleasant.
If you can't get a comped room at the casino hotel then don't hesitate in staying at this hotel! There is a free shuttle that runs from the hotel to the casino every 7 minutes. The staff and free breakfast is better than you will get at Winstar Casino Hotel or The Inn at Winstar....because neither of them even offer complimentary breakfast! The rooms are clean and comfortable, and did I mention the staff is amazing?!
We could not get a room at the casino. This hotel was close. We were pleased with this place. The breakfast offered real eggs not powdered stuff. We had late check in and late check out. We would stay here again.
The place was clean and quiet. It was nice that there was a shuttle to the Casino that runs every 20 mins. I would stay here again, but would wait until a less popular time because the prices were higher on the weekend, coupled with a well-attended concert. That would be my only complaint, that the pricing was way too high for what you get. But, there are only a few choices in this area.
This site was one of the best that I have stayed at. Very friendly staff. They was so nice and helpful. Great customer service. Breakfast was the best I have gotten. Most say free breakfast and they serve cold or packaged food.
This Best Western is a poor representation of the Best Western corporation. The management clearly does not require customer service from their employees. Although they proudly display the Best Western rewards program in their lobby they refused to honor a $25 travel card issued to me as a B/W rewards gold member. These reward cards are to be honored by any and all Best Western branded hotels, but they refused and not very friendly about it. I even had the B/W customer service people call them about the problem and they too were told NO. The swimming pool is habitually out of order, my guess is the management does not want to spend money to repair it. The staff are slow to respond to any facility repair issues. The only highlight to the stay was the morning breakfast personnel and the rest of the management and employees, including owners, could learn something from them. Otherwise, this hotel could be a prime property for Best Western if under new and capable management.
We were here for a concert at the Winstar casino. My first time to stay at this hotel. The staff were all friendly and the room was nice, clean and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to others needing to stay in the area!
Easy check in, room clean and friendly staff. Negative aspect - they charge an above average price during concerts on weekend nights. But with a shuttle service to Winstar it is super convenient so once you park you really don't have to use your automobile.
While taking some family members to Winstar Casino last month to celebrate my Brothers Birthday we decided to stay overnight at the Best Western Hotel nearest to the Casino. The lady at the Front Desk delivers the best Customer Service! She was friendly and had us laughing...she has the feel of an old friend..its like you've know her for a long time. The hotel is very nice as well and offers free full Breakfast! Kudo's the the management and this hotel for your choice of staff! Because of this visit, I decided to join the Best Western Rewards and will use Best Western every chance I get!!
Nice hotel, shuttle bus was convenient to catch ride to the casino, rooms are clean and quiet, good house keeping, front desk very helpful and good breakfast to get you going. The hotel is a little out of date but nice, we do like the new BW properties better. This location was not pet friendly so it's not for travelers but if your going to the casino, it's great place to stay and relax after a long day at the WinStar Casino
We had a very nice break in our travels stopping at this property. It was located on the outer road but fairly easy to get too. The building is very attractive and well kept up. The lay out was very nice. The room was well maintained, clean and in great working condition. The staff friendly and very receiving. It was a great choice to stop here and would gladly do it again. Compliments to your staff!
Beds, apparently, had a water repellent mattress cover under the sheets on each bed. Every time you rolled over in bed, you could hear the Crinkling of the plastic covering. The Bathroom Door Dragged the floor and made a screeching noise & door would not stay closed unless you pushed it shut. Work Station chair was not adjustable- it would not raise to a good height. Internet, TV & A/C was good. Breakfast was o.k.
Have stayed at this Best Western twice before. Enjoy the clean rooms, exceptionally friendly and courteous staff. Instead of the higher price Winstar casino hotel rooms that are so far to walk to play casino games or the poker room we enjoy this hotel that's less expensive, quieter and not as overwhelming to get back to room.
We have stayed here a number of times as a retreat after attending concerts at Winstar Casino. They provide a free shuttle to and from the casino which alleviates the need to find parking and walking long distances.
We spent 2 nights here. Upon arrival Staff was friendly and very helpful. The room was clean. We had the free breakfast which was good. No issues with the internet. This hotel is a about 4 blocks from the casino but not a problem as a shuttle comes about every 20 mins or so and during quieter times the front desk will call for it. The shuttle runs 24 hrs. a day. I would stay here again!
We stop here frequently on our travels to visit family in Kansas. As usual, check in and departure were quick and easy, the room was comfortable and breakfast was good. We are always treated well and that, in addition to being a convenient halfway point, are part of the reason we keep stopping here.
This is a good hotel for lodging when the Winstar Casino Hotel is full. Customer Service was wonderful. Everyone seemed very happy. The rooms were clean. They have a very nice complimentary breakfast. I recommend Best Western
I booked a non-smoking room with 2 Queen beds and a sofa bed in the room. However, when we arrived, we were told that there was no sofa bed anywhere in their establishment, nor could they bring a roll-away bed in that room because of fire safety regulations! We made due, however, were not too happy since it advertised the 2 Queen's with a sofa bed in the room as well.
We visit Winstar about twice a year and usually stay at BW. Upon arrival, we were greeted pleasantly by Tammy. She's always friendly and helpful! It appeared that she was patiently training a new staff member. On average we stay in a king room however this time, we upgraded to a Jacuzzi room. We dropped off our bags in the room and went to the casino. When we got back and were getting ready to relax and enjoy our Jacuzzi we noticed long hairs in the tub. We shrugged it off and decided to hop in bed and watch television. As we pulled the sheets back, more hair and a splotchy brownish red spot on the sheets. We were done. The floor also hadn't been vacuumed, and someone's hair clip was under the desk. So, I called the front desk and Tammy was extemely apologetic and came immediately to change the sheets. She exclaimed it was unacceptable and she was appreciative that we allowed BW to correct the error. When we checked out I questioned the charges on my credit card. She said they hold a charge for the full amount of the room, reverse it and charge again with an additional $25 incidentals fee. The $25 is supposed to be dropped. Well, when I questioned the two charges, she seemed a bit frustrated, which tells me they get the question often. Anyway, she told me due to the condition of the room, they would not be charging me, the head of housekeeping would be notified and appropriate action would be taken. I told her that was very courteous and of course we will return. I appreciate that they did that, especially since we were unable to use the Jacuzzi that we had been looking forward to due to the unsanitary conditions. Kudos to BW for making it right.
Love the continental breakfast. Cool place, nice people, Clean place. Rooms were cool, clean. Beds were comfortable and good size bed. Friendly staff. Fast check in. Shuttle to Winstar Casino. No noices.
Great stay. Great employees. I would highly recommend! The room was nice. The views are nice. Nicest people even during the Holiday weekend. Good breakfast and workout room and nice pool. The employees were accommodating and never minded being interrupted by our questions. They were helpful and very hospitable!
This is a very nice clean and safe place to stay, convenient to casino with 24 hour shuttle every 20-30 mins....breakfast was worth it. the rooms are nice and freshly clean daily and the staff is very friendly ....no complaints would stay here again and recommend to others
Disgusting room cleanliness. Dirty laundry left in room. Hand prints on mirror. Toilet and bathtub dirty. Television all smudged. and had cleaning people walk in the room without knocking and asked if we were going to need cleaning for the day.
everything was great except the bed was to hard it was in walking distance of the casino breakfast was good and the staff was very friendly shuttle to casino every 20 minutes was great and it was free
Very nice and helpful, friendly staff. Clean hotel close to just down the road from the WinStar casino. Free shuttle service to casino is available. Breakfast was okay. Coffee was great. We would definitely stay here again
This hotel is basically in the parking lot of Winstar. The rooms surpassed my expectations. Mini fridge and microwave and nice decor. Breakfast was good and they said a shuttle drives from the casino about every 15 minutes. We didn't end up using the shuttle, we just drove to the casino which was about a block or two away. Will definitely stay here again when seeing a show at Winstar.
The location was great near the casino. There is a casino shuttle that runs every 10-20 minutes. We used that instead of trying to park at the casino. The lobby, breakfast and room were all great! The room seemed spacious for the two of us. The breakfast was really good. They had everything we needed. The eggs were a nice surprise. They had some fried (I assume from food service) as well as cheese omelet. The staff was very helpful. We would stay here again.
We decided to stay here over the Winstar based on the pricing (about $150.00 less than the Winstar) and the positive reviews on here. We were in town for a Chicago concert at the event center and didn't want to spend a fortune for one night's sleep. Upon our arrival we were greeted by Tammy. She was awesome. She was funny with a great sense of humor. She gave us info about the hotel and tips about the casino. I wish all front desk ladies were like Tammy. The shuttle, run by the casino, not Best Western, runs every twenty minutes and we didn't have to wait long to be picked up. The shuttle goes straight from the Best Western to the casino, meaning it is the last stop coming back. You make a couple of stops around the casino, then head to a few more stops at the casino RV park and then stop at two or three hotels before making it back to the Best Western. As for the hotel itself, the room was spacious and nice. It had a small fridge and microwave. You could buy snacks in the lobby area. The free breakfast was fairly typical. Not great, but not horrible. The worst thing about the stay was the TV reception. My guess is they are hooked up to a lousy satellite system. Our friends stayed in the room next door and said their TV reception was bad, too, so it wasn't just our room. I didn't complain to the front desk because I figured they had heard it all before. We paid $149.00 for a King room with our AAA discount. A little pricey for a Best Western, but there are not a whole lot of alternatives in Thackerville, so overall, it was a pretty good value. I would highly recommend this property over staying at the Winstar unless you just like the ease of going down the elevator and being at the casino. For $150.00 plus tax per night, I can take the shuttle. Be prepared, though, if you like to watch TV. It is frustrating when the thing keeps going in and out with a scrambled picture one second and then back to normal the next...over and over and over. Plus, I was not able to find any major stations like NBC, CBS, ABC, etc. They may be on there, but I scrolled quite a bit on the Guide channel and never found them.
This hotel survives because of the casino. Offer a free shuttle to/from the casino. Very clean. Great staff. Basic breakfast - usual fare. Good internet. Clean room with excellent bed. Towels are very nice.
Stayed here instead of at Winstar, when we went for the Pitbull Concert. Although I did not expect to pay 200 bucks+ here, Winstar was even more expensive. I guess it depends on when you go, and what's going on... supply and demand! We enjoyed our stay, as the hotel is only a few minutes away, it is very clean, the breakfast was hearty and filling. The staff was nice. Although we did not use the shuttle (to Winstar), our friends did, they said it was convenient. Would stay here if visiting again, and splurge on a nice dinner instead of the same type of room at Winstar for a higher price!
Clean, great customer service and free shuttle to casino. Quiet and smoke free, much cheaper than the casino rooms. I would absolutely recommend this Best Western to anyone looking for a nice place to stay outside the casino
Decent place. Stayed for a concert here and glad I didn't pay the 300 plus at the winstar hotel. Front desk was nice only issue was the television, the playoff game was on and the reception was horrible..and wasn't related to any weather Shuttle was very efficient .
From the moment we walked in until the time we left, we enjoyed the friendliness and hospitality of the staff at this nice Best Western property. We went to breakfast about 45 minutes before it ended, and the lady in charge of the dining area insured we had fresh eggs available. Everything tasted great. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. Shuttle services run every twenty minutes or so to the Winstar Casino so there's no need in moving your car back and forth. Friendly people, great service. We enjoyed our stay.
Do not stay at this hotel. The room was over $200 for a Saturday night. Room was average and I would expect to pay around $75 for the quality of this hotel. I realize it is close to the casino and probably why it was so high but there are many other hotel to chose from nearby, The WORST part of the entire trip is I put the room on hold with my debit card. The website said they don't charge your account until you check in. WRONG they charge you account the MORNING of stay even though check in is at 3:00pm. They never bothered to tell me when I checked it that they had already charged my debit card. I used my CC when I checked in so now they have $203 on my debit card and $203 on my credit card. They said call your bank they have to put the money back in. The bank said they didn't take the money out the hotel did and THEY have to put the money back in. I called the hotel AGAIN and asked for a number for a corporate office and the clerk said there is no home or corporate office. Very rude and said well it could take up to 10 days for your bank to put the money back in, I said NO it could take YOUR bank 10 days to put the money bank in. So I'm out $406 dollars for a CHEAP hotel. Unbelievable....If I could give a 0 rating I would.
The hotel and staff here are great. My wife and I have stayed here a couple of times while visiting the WinStar casino and never have any problems with the hotel or staff and they are helpful. I have read several of other reviews over the staff at his hotel and find it hard to believe after what we have experienced.
This hotel is very Close to the Winstar Casino. BW offers a Free Shuttle around the clock, pickup every 20-30 minutes. The Staff is friendly and efficient. Hot Breakfast offering waffles, toast, eggs, sausage, biscuits is included. Hot coffee, orange juice, cereal, etc...
Everything was really great at this hotel besides the breakfast. My husband always utilizes the breakfast and he said it was just average. The rooms were big and clean. The staff was prompt and helpful. It is real close to the casino and they have a shuttle if you prefer not driving over there. It was a quiet hotel and no disturbances occurred. Very well lighted outside as well. If we ever come back we would definitely stay here again.
Great staff. Clean room. TV channels change slowly and no "cheat sheet" to find ESPN or specific channel. Pillows thick and stiff. Bed very firm. May not be perfect for everyone. Nice continental breakfast. Perfect if you're spending majority of time at casino. Easy 0.4 mile walk to poker & Bingo, but shuttle is available every 20-30 min if you're going to the hotel or the far side of the resort.
It was a busy holiday weekend, but you would'nt have even known it. Ample staff meant no one had to wait and they were extremely helpful and went out of their way to accommodate everyone. Room was nice and very clean. Also think that this was one of the quietest hotels I've ever stayed in. Absolutely no noise heard from other guests or staff during the night. Got a great night's sleep.
What a lovely time we had at Best Western in Thackerville,Ok. It was a great time for us celebrating our anniversary. Thanks BW for the memories. It was really great having breakfast only a few feet from where our room was. There was a sense of family here.
Very clean. Helpful staff. Comfortable bed. Easy assess off of the highway. Shuttle was very very convenient to Winstar Casino. Affordable! Will definitely return to this location very soon! Staff was so helpful!!
The room rates were considerably better than the Winstar and the casino shuttle runs every 20 minutes, day and night. The clerk (and her trainee) were very gracious and helpful during our check in process. They made sure that we got the special points bonus and told us to be alert for a $10 off coupon that would come later by email. The room was very nice and furniture/bedding all looked new. The king bed was one of the most comfortable in recent memory. A nice touch was as were were getting a coffee upon checking out, the attendant minding the breakfast offered to package some things up for us to take with us - a very nice gesture!
The rooms are only 1 King bed as suite and are nice. We got a little earlier check-in & headed to Toby Keith's to watch OSU vs OU before the Ringo concert. Nice weekend but rooms are overpriced only because of location, & price increases depending on entertainment for the weekend- $253! Don't fall for the jell-o shots they sell in the evening - there is no $10 worth of liquor in these!
Front desk people, especially Tammy, very friendly and helpful. They do not have traditional comforters on the beds, so we requested an additional blanket which we received very easily. Shuttle runs between casino and hotel every 20 minutes. We did not have to wait more than 10 before getting picked up. They will drop you off at any entrance to the casino as well as pick you up at any entrance to go back. Very comfortable, clean, quiet room! Breakfast was hot, cheese omelets, fried eggs and sausage patties to make your own sandwich, waffle maker! Great breakfast! Great stay! Amazing Staff!
Stayed here while visiting the Winstar at a cheaper rate and a much better room in my opinion. Free shuttle to casino 24/7. Hot breakfast offered and very comfy beds. Easy access off I35 . Can't really find a bad thing to say about this property
This facility is what you expect from BW...clean and friendly with sizable rooms, fridge, decent breakfast. However, being near a big casino makes it a "destination hotel" and for us wanting to see Ringo Starr at the casino, it apparently came with greedy up-charge. Our 1-night stay was $290. Ridiculous and rude. Spoils my interest in BW brand. Find another hotel.
The price is double what it should be for this level of room. A great staff, and clean and quiet is great, but the pillows were pretty awful. We've never used towels that were 14 percent polyester, but they don't absorb water and they aren't big enough to wrap around an average-sized body. It's nice to have a complimentary breakfast, but the waffle mix was off and the yogurt in the mini-fridge wasn't cold. I'm not sure what's happened to the Best Western label, but it isn't what it used to be.
Nice, clean, well maintained hotel with comfy rooms and super friendly staff. Nice hot breakfast in the morning. There is a shuttle that runs every 20 minutes to and from the casino. Great place to stay.
Awesome relaxation!! Clean, beautiful facility! Nice, caring, respectful employees! Loved it! Will stay again. Close to casino, frequent shuttles, comfy bed, hot, hot water!! Truly enjoyed myself. Thanks to the staff!
This hotel had to have the friendlyist employess I have ever seen. The hotel was also very clean, food was very good. Had no complaints at all. Would definitely stay here again when traveling that direction
Our stay at Best Western was great as soon as we arrived. Very Friendly greeting by Tammy. Explained check in to Check out and overall about the hotel and the casino. Highly recommended. Would definitely stay again!
Will stay again for sure. Staff was friendly and helpful from information on shuttle service to offerings of breakfast items. I would recommend to anyone to stay here for a lower rate that is just across from the casino.
At Best Western I always get the best treatment from the staff, very friendly, warm welcome and fast check in/ out. I also like their complimentary breakfast. This location is close to casino too which is very convenient.
Easy to get in and out. Free parking. Great free breakfast. 24/7 free shuttle to Winstar, every 20 minutes. Much better than trying to park at the casino. Only problem with this review it other folks might "book my spot", and I won't be able to get a room for myself when I need it, lol.
Stayed here on a weekend, staff were friendly and helpful. There is a free shuttle that comes by about every 20 minutes to the Winstar casino, 24 hours a day. We didn't have to wait at all. Large clean room, had nice flat screen TV with satellite programming. Only negative would be that there are no outlets on the nightstands to use, what's up with that? Very clean well kept place, would stay here again.
Both my wife and I were very impressed with the friendliness of the staff, and the overall stay. The rooms were clean and very well maintained. The staff was awesome, and worth mentioning again. I would highly recommend anyone staying in Thackerville, Ok. to stay here. I know that I'll be staying here when I return.
The room was nice. The bed was comfortable. The pull out couch has seen better days! But, for a one night stay we have no reason to complain! We saved money by staying at the Best Western. The WinStar Hotel is very pricey. There is a shuttle to take you to and from Best Western to WinStar 24 hours a day. I would suggest the Best Western as the place to stay to anyone going to WinStar.
Made a leisure trip to the Winstar in Thackerville, OK. Found the hotel exceptionally clean and all the staff both friendly and helpful. The hotel is also on a 24 hr shuttle to the Winstar , running about every 20 minutes - portal to portal with no parking hassles.
Went to Windstar last week and rooms there were 350.00. We decided to stay at Best Western for less than 150.00 and it was right next door with a shuttle!! Rooms were great and had breakfast! The only downer was the coffee, It was really bad.
My wife and I stayed here, while we were in town to see Jerry Seinfeld at the WinStar Casino. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. There is a complimentary shuttle that runs every 20 minutes to take you to the casino. The only restaurant other than the casino is Sonic. The free breakfast is standard.
Great hotel withing sight of WinStar Casino. Had a shuttle every 20 minutes all night. And it was 1/2 the price of the casino. Standard breakfast buffet, Hotel was clean, staff was great, and life is good
We had a gathering in Thackerville for a Surprise 60th Birthday Party and selected the Best Western Red River Inn & Suites as the location for everyone to stay the night. I phoned a few days prior to confirm they had space that we could use to "Surprise" the birthday girl to which TAMMY said yes that they had a breakfast area that could accommodate. The day of the party, we arrived to set up for a light lunch and the Surprise. From 11 AM - 1PM a party of 15 people came through the front lobby, two of our party went to front desk to ask to turn the air down as well as being literally next to the front desk and in that time NO ONE approached us to ask if it was approved or stated if there was an issue with us using the space. Until 1:30 PM, when we were told our rooms were available to check in.....then TAMMY came in to work. She came through the door yelling that "this is not what I approved" for the general public to hear. As we proceeded to clear the area and check in to our rooms, you can imagine my surprise as I was packing items in my car in the parking lot when TAMMY appeared. She physically put herself in between me and the door and while no one else was around began yelling at me that her GM had called her and was upset, she was in trouble, etc etc etc. I immediately apologized for any miscommunication and offered to speak with her GM. That didn't slow her ranting down and she continued getting closer to me as she did. After I repeated another 3 to 4 times my apology and offering to speak with someone on her behalf she finally turned towards the front lobby, only to come back in my direction to continue her yelling. Because my family and children were just in side and I didn't want them to see anything that would upset them I just continued my apologies and offering to help. She finally subsided and returned inside, where the publically loud comments continued in the lobby. Obviously the rest of our party noticed and came to check on me and wanted to leave, but since we had already checked in and our plans for the rest of the evening were at the local casino I figured we would be safely away from the property. If you're looking for a fun atmosphere and a good environment for an event I would not recommend this as the location.
Very pleasant and helpful staff, nice clean and neat hotel. There is a shuttle to the casino, but we enjoyed the short walk. Tammy at the desk was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts I have ever had.
First of all, the name of the hotel is just Best Western NOT Best Western Red River Inn and Suites. Red River Inn and Suites is closer to Winstar than Best Western is. These are 2 different hotels. We stayed at Best Western. Secondly, our room was very old and musty smelling. The couch in the room was torn up and very very worn. This hotel is in dire need of a cleaning!
We came to Thackerville, Ok for our 18th wedding anniversary and we had a nice time. The staff at Best Western were really kind and helpful. It made our stay really comfortable. The breakfast was really good, and we really enjoyed the shuttle ride to and from the casino. You didn't have to wait long for the shuttle, and very kind and friendly drivers. Overall, we had a great stay.
My Mother and I were in town to see Diana Ross, the staff at Best Western made the check in easy breezy and the stay was wonderful! I was impressed with the knowledge the staff showed when asked about the shuttle, gaming and where the event was taking place.
The hotel was very clean (lobby, hallways and the room) and friendly staff. I was very surprised at how large the room was...very spacious! The ONLY minor problem was that the bathroom door had this squeaking noise when opening and closing the door ......it automatically closes so, I ended up propping it open (maybe it needed some WD40) .....it was just a little annoying. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay.
I choose to stay here because of the Shuttle Service to and from the Casino . I paid more than if I had stayed in Gainsville.Tx . but I think it was a wise decision . The staff was very friendly , the Breakfast so ... so ...
Would definitely stay here in the future. Staff was friendly, accommodating and professional. All the amenities (pool, room, front desk, breakfast area) were clean and inviting. Highly recommend staying here, if in the area.
Great Value at this hotel. The staff was super friendly and so helpful as we had never been in this area before. The hotel offers a free shuttle to Winstar which was very valuable during the rain storm we experienced one night while staying there! The price of the room is a great value in that area as well! Lots of movie channels to enjoy and a cool pool to have fun while there!
My friends and I came for a concert and a little gambling. Easy check in at this hotel. Shuttle to the casino and back. Good nights sleep. Leisurely Breakfast. Easy check out. Perfect for a weekend get away.
Not bad. More economical than the winstar hotel. About as far. I can't imagine it's any better being there. Definitely worth the money. Staff is very nice. Not luxurious or fancy by any means. But worth the stay. I recommend it. Not much more to say.
Good Little Hotel. Super friendly staff with a strong desire to go out of their way to make sure you are happy. Only downfall was they could use to upgrade their pillows - which is not a deal breaker in my books by any means.
Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful Location is perfect,, clean rooms, breakfast was good. will stay again soon for another concert at Winstar. Shuttle comes often and is great to get to the casino.
I left a pair of heals in my room. I realized later on that day and called the hotel to see if I could pick them up. Well "Tammy" was very unhelpful each time I called. I got disconnected from the call and I called back about 20 times and they would not answer. My heels just vanished I guess. I knew exactly where I left them, which was by the bed. If anyone does stay at this hotel, just don't forget anything when you leave, you won't get it back.
Enjoyed our stay except for the towels. They are odd and of poor quality, feel wet even when fresh of the rack. Hmmm, we have never experienced this issue at any other hotel and we travel frequently. Hotel needs to upgrade these. We may bring our own towels next time we stay here. By the way, we are not picky people, but this was weird.
Nice room. Very quiet and relaxing. Quick ride to casino. Very convenient. Breakfast was okay. Staff was great. Didn't spend a ton of time at the hotel, but overall a nice experience. Will stay here again. Will recommend this hotel to others.
Very friendly staff, Comfy beds, and you can adjust your room tempature. Very close to the casino, with free shuttle to/ from hotel, The room price is much cheaper than the casino. I would recommend to anyone heading up there. You will not find many locals only people from Texas.
We checked in late, without a reservation and found the hotel clerk to be very friendly, accommodating and helpful. The rooms are big and very clean. Bathroom nice and a great shower. The hotel was quiet. The WinStar Casino is very close. There is a shuttle running every 20 minutes. I definitely recommend this hotel and if in the area again, will stay there. We grabbed some muffins for breakfast so did not go through the whole line but it looked like a complete meal with meat and eggs. The breakfast area was clean and well located. and the selection seemed very good.
I've stayed at this nice hotel many times on my travels through South Oklahoma and Northern Texas. Good breakfast offering by hotels standards. Front desk is friendly and helpful. This is next to the WinStar casino and has a 24/7 shuttle service. If you are headed South from the hotel you'll find a Cracker Barrel restaurant just pass the stateliness.
Great location right next to Winster Casino. Free shuttle provided 24/7 to and from casino. Clean large rooms. Microwave and refrigerator included. Nice little pool, great for warm weather. Friendly staff. Breakfast was just okay. Ample parking, secure location. I got a good price for my room considering that it was a holiday weekend &125 per night. Good location if you want to go to the casino. Not a shopping location.
Very clean hotel located next to Winstar casino. Shuttle provided by Winstar was helpful. Breakfast was good. Rooms were clean and staff was friendly. Can hear other guests in hallway and in adjoining rooms, so walls seem thin.
stayed here on my way to Dallas for 1 night. love the free shuttle they offer 24/7 to and from the Winstar Casino. Staff was friendly, rooms were clean. Hotel was nice and quiet. Breakfast was good enough in the morning. No complaints, would stay here again.
The wife wanted to play the slots. Me just crash. It's a Friday night. This is the only hotel near by that has rooms. $250 for a Friday or Saturday, down by $100 other days. Clean and new hotel. The night staff person was excellent. Room was nice. King and had a sofa and table, also microwave and small refer. Probably nitpicking but soda machine was empty on my floor( I mean every selection). Also the Tv/digital entertainment is overly complex and sssllloooowww. If it wasn't for those two items I would have given 5 stars.
We stayed at this best Western so that we could go to the casino. The front desk people were very helpful the hotel is very clean the rooms are nice there's no musty smell in the hallway smell nice. The rooms are very nice the bathrooms a really good have a great sink area makes me feel like I should've spent more money to stay there the AC is cold. The bedsheets seem like they're a little warn you know when you get those little balls on them but other than that the breakfast was great the coffee is good I would recommend to friends and family and stay here again
It was very clean, comfortable, and I would stay here again. The casino even sends shuttles to pick you up from the hotel and take you back. The bed was very clean and comfortable and there's free breakfast.
stayed here to visit Winstar , great price , nice rooms , clean and roomy , friendly staff , free shuttle from casino anytime . breakfast was ok and free , but best of all no crowd . we would stay here again
Had great stay and very impressed with hotel's acccomodations. Would definely stay here again if we were returning to area. What more can one say about a one night stay and would recommend site not require such long review by patron.
Our overall it was a good stay we liked that the shuttle buses went there to pick up for the casino. The breakfast didn't stay hot some of it was cold. The furniture was dusty but everything else was good. We had never stayed at this location, but we would stay there again.
Rates were hiked from normal $122 to $162 due to Thanksgiving weekend. Toilet too low, vanity too high, paper holder too far from toilet. Credit card charged for room on check in and again on check out - still trying to get refund of double payment.
We had a nice stay at the Best Westeren Red River Inn and Suites in Thackervill Ok. There is a shuttle running 24 7 to the Casino. Clean Rooms, helpfull staff. The hotels breakfast was ok not special but was sufficient. Wifi was nice to use.
Have gone to Winstar twice recently to see Bob Dylan and then Willie Nelson. This Best Western is great- less than 5 minutes by car from casino, less expensive, less crowded, new, quiet and clean. I hope you get to meet Tammy at the front desk if you go- so friendly and welcoming.
Its good.Great place with good amenities. Room is good and cleaned. everything is ok. we enjoyed a lot . my kid love the place. A very good hot breakfast with beverages. Staffs are very good. Thanks to all.
A very nice total experience from the friendliness of the desk clerk to the clean room and comfortable bed. Being close to Casino with a timely shuttle was definitely a plus. I would stay there again and recommend it to anyone in the area.
Every aspect of our stay was positive and helped with an overall relaxing and enjoyable experience. The hotel staff provided information on local transportation, and attractions. Our interactions with them were always friendly and cheerful, and they went out of their way to ensure we had a great time and had everything we needed.
This is an excellent place for my husband and I to stop on a long trip to visit family in Kansas. Easy access off/on the Interstate. Both times we stopped (coming and going), our room was clean, the bed very, very comfortable, and the air conditioning wonderful. Check in was quick and easy and the breakfast was just right for a long day of traveling. We used the shuttle to WinStar rather than drive; it runs about every 15 minutes. We will definitely continue to stop here on our trips. Only complaint was the pool was already closed for the season and it was still pretty hot in early September!
The desk clerk was very friendly and quick to check us in. She seemed knowledgeable about the area and gave good recommendations. Good location. Quiet. Clean and comfortable big room. Very nice breakfast. Had a good one night stay. Thanks.( Oh, it would have been nice to have a soap dish in the tub/shower area.)
We were charged 4 times on our Credit Card for a 1 night stay and 3 days later they are still on my Credit Card blocking available credit! Unacceptable change your police Best Western or we will no longer be a customer at any Best Western nor a Rewards client!!!
I stayed here on my way from Houston to Omaha and again on the way back because I just felt safe sleeping here. The desk staff impressed me right away; very helpful and friendly. The king room is big and comfortable and A/C worked well. The breakfast was free and very good (I had waffles with peanut butter and syrup and sausage. YUM!). Proximity to WinStar is great, just 2-3 minutes down a small road - another reason I wanted to stay here :). They had a little plumbing incident my first stay but no problem the second time. The bed was more comfy the first night and pretty hard the night I spent on the way back so might want to ask some questions about mattress. I will stay again and recommend.
Cheaper than Winstar hotel. Shuttle runs 24 hours, so easy to get there. The free breakfast was exceptionally well attended to, restocked, & kept clean. All the staff were friendly. Housekeeping was great. Again, 5 stars to the breakfast attendant. Will definitely stay here again. For the money, this place exceeded my expectations.
We stayed here after a concert since the casino rates were too high. The hotel looks new and the room was very modern and clean. Our room had a microwave and a fridge. Breakfast was included and was more than just cereal; there were cheese omelets and sausage links as well as a waffle maker. The staff was friendly. I only rated it 4 instead of 5 because our room was on the first floor near the lobby and we could hear noise from the breakfast area as well as the front desk. If a soundproof door were added to block some of the noise, that would be great. Also, there is a free shuttle that runs to the casino 24 hours a day. I'd definitely return!
Check in was a little slow. Very friendly staff, room nice and clean. The hotel is a little out of the way. (Not on feeder road) Once there very quite location, no freeway noise. Will not post to trip adviser again. A short review is not allowed.
We were just trying to get away for a night. It was a last minute decision. The place was very clean. The room was very clean too. I dislike climbing into a bed because I feel they aren't always clean. With that said, the bed was clean and comfortable. I was impressed!!!! The bathroom was very clean. The breakfast was okay. The biscuits were a tad dry. That's the ONLY complaint I can come up with. The staff was very nice. They were always smiling, helpful, and polite. Great place to get away. I would stay there again.
We stayed here to visit Winstar and see a show. Been to Winstar several times but never stayed overnight in the area. I tried to get a room at the Winstar hotel but it's always booked. I really did not want drive back to Dallas at midnight so we booked a room here. The staff could not have been nicer. Our room was small but efficient and comfortable. He had a jacuzzi tub in the room and a view of the pool. The breakfast was average but it was free. Can't complain about free. I loved that the casino shuttle came by every 20 minutes. No need to drive and park at the casino. Can't imagine the Winstar hotel would be any nicer. I'll just head straight to this one next time.
my wife and go so much it's like go to see family and friends they make your trip so much fun they ask you how you are and who are you seeing . I needed a stool and tammy found one for me I like how she just like a friend we be back not just to see tammy but to have fun.
I enjoyed my stay very much! Just as mention, the shuttle was easy to travel on. I didn't have to dri e my vehicle at all while there. Tammy was so wonderful to me and made sure everything was perfect. I will stay there again.
Went to Winstar for one night to see a concert. The Best Western was highly recommended by reviewers on TripAdvisor so that's where I stayed! Check-in was fast and the front desk personnel were very polite, pleasant and welcoming. The hotel was extremely clean from the front lobby to the room! It was probably one of the cleanest rooms I have stayed in and I usually stay at **** properties. The bed and bedding were super comfy. The room had a refrigerator, coffee maker and a safe. Plenty of room. Bathroom was spotless. I would highly recommend! They also have a complimentary full breakfast in the morning!
Hallway smelled a bit musty. Initially the room smelled like something was new, possible new carpet. Then we turned on the AC and it too smelled musty. The room was clean, restroom was large and the beds were comfortable. The lobby and outside grounds were also clean. The staff was helpful and friendly.
We stayed four nights over Memorial Day weekend. Hotel always smelled so nice when we walked in. Breakfast was nice and substantial every morning. I was extremely impressed when I realized I was missing some prescription medication when I returned home. I called Vicky at the front desk. Not only had they saved my medicine, but also had a small blanket we had left. They offered to mail both items back to me at no cost. NOW that's customer service! PSA -- triple check that you have all your personal items before walking out that last time!
This is a very nice hotel but a little pricey considering it was discounted. My wife has been going through many cancer treatments and in and out of hospitals since before Christmas. She liked the hotel and the king sized bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was very well stocked compared to my business trips in the past but the sausage-egg biscuit I made with gravy had little flavor. LaQuinta's are good.
Stayed for the night on a concert. Been here a couple of time nice place. Beds are comfee breakfast was about the normal for hotel. Shuttles to the casino around the clock I'll go again or depends on the price of the other they both are nice. Never stayed at the casino
Was an overnight pit stop for a family trip. It was a very nice place to stay. Hot free breakfast. Clean. Friendly staff. Free 24 hour shuttle to and from Winstar Casino. Would stay here again for sure if in the area.
This is truly a remarkable place to stay. From the friendly staff to the remarkable rooms everything I rate an A+++. Will definitely stop there again when I pass through and recommend it to all who pass through that area.
You guys, you should be so proud of your place of business. This is one of the nicest looking and best quality of comfort Best Westerns I have stayed at and even took a few Interior and Exterior Design Ideas, as well as business protocols your hotel implements to bring to my Best Western that I am employed with so that we can better improve our Hotel for our frequent guests.
Clean and comfortable- this is located right next to the Win-Star Casino so if they are booked or you just want a little more peace this is a good stop. We have been here twice on our way to Texas and it's a perfect stopover for us. Only 90 min to Dallas. Breakfast is included.
First choice was Winstar but it was booked. We were very happy with our next choice, Best Western. Convenient location next to Winstar and the staff was very friendly. Would definitely stay there again.
Staff was amazing, breakfast excellent the shuttle service was very prompt and the hotel was very easy to find. I would highly recommend this place for overnight or extended vacations. Probably nicer than any of the casino rooms and their sincerity is top notch.
This hotel was PERFECT in all ways! Very clean, everything in order - tidy. Spotless. Our room was very nice and very comfortable. Staff was wonderful and so helpful and friendly. Really made our stay enjoyable with their humor!
We were celebrating my sister in-laws 60th Birthday and chose to stay at the Best Western. I have always had great service and as usual they did not disappoint. Everyone one was so cheerful and friendly. Hotel was very clean and breakfast was very good. Would highly recommend staying here.
Front Desk help was extremely helpful and even chased down a shuttle bus for us without even thinking about it. We were close enough to the Casino where we could have walked but the shuttle service was nice.
I thought the hotel was over priced, we had a Jacuzzi tub but was a little weird because it was just in the room by the bed. Overall cleanliness was great and the staff was very friendly. The major issue was the bed, it was very uncomfortable.
After leaving Winstar because they increased the price of our room once we got there, we called Best Western. They had a room ready and it was $100 less than we were going to be charged at Winstar! The room was very nice and the woman working there was too. The hotel is non-smoking which was a nice change from Winstar! It is also a VERY short distance from the casino and there is a shuttle that runs from the hotel to the casino. We didn't take it, but we could have....it was very frequent and we saw it often. The breakfast was your standard free hotel breakfast fare....waffles, sausage, eggs, chicken biscuits, yogurt, cereal, fruit, bagels, pastries, muffins, toast, coffee, juice, milk, etc. It was just ok. But I really appreciated the fact that they offered the free breakfast....our plans to stay at Winstar certainly didn't include a free breakfast! One thing....we were on the bottom floor near the side door. Inconsiderate people come in from the casino at all hours of the night slamming doors and talking loudly. If you want a quiet room you may want to ask for a top floor room. $200 was more than I'd usually pay for a Best Western, but since it's at a prime location right next to the casino (that was charging $300 per room) I didn't think it was too bad. Overall, large, clean rooms, good service, free breakfast....would stay here again!
Staff very professional and personable. Check-in, check-out very efficient. Room is in nice shape, not spectacular but clean and in relation to cost. Very close to Winstar Casino and Golf Course, easy access off interstate, plenty of parking available. Shuttle runs 24/7 to and from Winstar Casino.
Stayed 1 night and attended the Johnny Mathis concert. Paid $200. For the night This is not a luxury hotel but it has what you need, very comfortable bed, but better bring a blanket, if you choose to stay here. Paying $200. For the night you expect to at least have a hot shower. No hot water not even warm at around 8:45 am NO HOT WATER ! Would I recommend staying here. NO Thin blanket on bed. No hot water. Mentioned that at the desk and all I got was a oh so sorry .
This hotel is great, good selection of breakfast items which are continuously refilled through the end of breakfast which is 10 am, staff are courteous and go above and beyond to make sure ones stay is relaxing, beds feel like one is sleeping on a cloud. Tip: Make reservations early (4 + weeks in advance of your stay) to save the most money.
I would highly recommend this hotel. Wonderful, modern clean rooms. Huge room for 2 queens. Nice size bathroom. Hotel shuttles you to the casino and back 24 hrs. No need to pay the price at the actual casino when you can stay for half the price here. Great breakfast and nice staff. You won't be sorry.
Breakfast Nothing Special! Hot foods---NOT HOT! JUICE MACHINE ---OUT of ORDER! Room was clean; but bathroom door dragged the tile floor real by; we still was able to close the door, though! Computer desk was in the wrong area of room - making traffic between one of the beds and desk- to bathroom- a little tight!! Internet in Room was Slower than others! Beds were good!
I don't have a negative thing to say about this hotel experience. The employees were so friendly, the room was great. Comfy beds. They offer a 24 hour shuttle that will take you to and from the casino.
Rooms spacious and well appointed rooms with excellent beds. Shuttle to Casino is a nice feature. Very friendly staff. Great value for the money. Cheaper then Casino hotel with easy access and very quiet location.
This Best Western is very nice. My only compliant is the bed linens were threadbare, clean, but quite worn and thin. I asked for an extra blanket but there were none available so I got two towels (also threadbare) and put on top of me on the bed. I think that this hotel would be well-served to invest in nicer linens especially if they are going to charge so much for a room.
My wife and I stayed for one night at this location. The room was comfortable and quiet. Everything in the room was in working condition and the room was clean. A complimentary breakfast came with the room and it was quite good. This location was next to Winstar Casino and a free shuttle back and forth to the casino was provided. The staff as friendly and very helpful. We enjoyed our brief stay at this location.
The hotel is lovely and clean, bright and cheerful. Hotel staff is friendly and very helpful. The room was clean and really nice, and includes a refrigerator and coffee maker. A shuttle runs 24 hours a day for the casino. The breakfast could have been better, but it was quite satisfactory. Would definitely stay there again.
I recently stayed at this hotel. I must say that the staff is great, the rooms are very clean, the beds a so comfortable. It is close to the casino with a shuttle that runs every 25 min. It is a little high especially if there is a concert at the casino. But you will be safe and comfortable. Say Hi to Tammy at the front desk.
The best thing about this hotel is the staff, including house keeping. Tammy, at the front desk was exceptional. My sis left her favorite blanket in the room and as we were pulling out, one of the housekeeping ladies was running toward our car with it. The rooms and the hotel were clean, but the place is clearly in need of a face lift. My bed (we had a double bed room), sunk toward the middle pretty bad. The sheets were soft because they were so worn. I didn't go to breakfast, but one of my sisters did. She said the eggs were shaped like a square which probably meant they were powdered, biscuits cold, no coffee as the pot was broken. She said there was yogurt, some fruit, some baked goods. The first night we asked for more towels and they were brought to us immediately. It wasn't quite as expensive as the Win Star, but I feel $189 plus tax was a bit pricey for a motel. There is also no bellman. We all are seniors so that was a bit inconvenient for us. I would probably try a place in Gainsville if we choose to go to Thackerville again. Again, the best part of our stay was the staff.
This hotel is close to the Windstar Casino and you can catch a shuttle back and forth, however, it is priced as high as the Casino, with none of the perks of the casino. We made a last minute trip up to see Celtic Thunder and there were no rooms available at the Casino, so stayed at the Best Western. Will not do it again.
Outstanding describes our stay at the Best Western Red River Inn. The staff made you feel very welcomed. We will tay there again when we go back up to Winstar. This was the best bang for the money in the area. The shuttle goes to the casino about every 20 minutes.
This is the second time we have stayed here when going to WinStar. It's convenient to the casino (just across the street) yet in a very quiet location. I feel it's a good value for the price. The room was clean and spacious, the staff very nice and the free breakfast had a good selection of tasty items. We always get a good night's sleep here without breaking the bank. I wish the rooms had a safe, otherwise our needs were met. This will continue to be our 'go-to' hotel in Thackerville.
