The Breakfast was great so many choice start from the traditional food, vegetarian and continental. ahh yaa i cant forget when i tried the "bubur sum2 and cenil" the taste soooo yummmyyyyy .. Definitely will come back again.. Great service and total convenience!

all the staff are friendly, the food is complete and delicious, there are traditional and western food. Room cleanliness is also maintained. What I like the most is the adult and children's swimming pools.

This is a great place to stay, I would like to tell some great experiences that I feel during my stay at Best Western Papilio Surabaya. Room was great and clean with complated amanities, great bed and linen that make us have a good sleep. Hot water, Ac really works well, just Tv need to be upgrade to bigger size instead of 32' Restaurant at 7th floor have a lot of variation of foods, great taste, and waiter/waitress really helpful when you need some assistance, only for tissue napkin I can find on third days of my stay. (You better to put at some separate place near every stall for tissue napkin instead of at the corner and only one place), so guests can find easily. Guest lift's mirror have lot of scratch, carpet need replace with new one that have more fresh bright colour and fit with the guest lift's floor. And I felt it hard shaky when using it. Last, thank you Pak Fendy for a great Hospitality during our stay at Best Western papilio, your service and hospitality are really make us feel home . Surely will come back someday when visiting Surabaya.

It's easy to get a park in this hotel. Great room, great breakfast, and the staff also helpfull. It location near the toll road. If you traveling by car, this hotel is easy to find. Overall it's a good value for money.

This is my first time either visit at Surabaya or stay in Best Western Papilio. It was a wonderful experience because of the hospitality of the staff even they let me having evening tea and a welcoming cake as soon as I'm just arrived. Pretty good hotel in the middle of the city. The waiters are friendly. Can request evening tea to be provided. Service provided to guests is very good from check in to check out, clean rooms, complete facilities, breakfast is varied. In our room, Telkomsel's signal is intermittent, so it's better to use Wifi.

Good room, good food, good management, good staff. Only the soap on the woman bathroom near mushola at 7 floor often finished and a bit hard to push. Bed room nice but the electric socket for charging was not so good. If charging the phone then cannot fill in properly. Also most of them cannot fit with laptop adaptor. I stay with my friend and both of us found the same problem. Only the one that near the bed can be used Thank you

The location of the hotel is near Surabaya toll exit. Location is quite good if you are just passing through Surabaya. And it is just beside a popular restaurant called PrimaRasa. Building and room was rather quite old and just mediocrely maintained. Regular nothing-fancy room style and toilet. Soundproofing is not good. There is no security measures at the lift for non guests coming up to guests floor. Uncomfortable too-bulky pillow. Breakfast was mediocre as according to the price. Check-in and checkout process was fast and no hassle. Had the price was not as high as I paid, probably would give another star for the review.

Having a business trip to surabaya, booked the hotel where is located closed to my branch office. The room is spacious, clean and confortable. In the morning have a breakfast, ruled under covid-19 protocol.The menu was great, with many options and affordable.

Spend only one night during road trip from Jakarta - Banyuwangi. Strategically located outside Wonokromo toll exit. Comfortable bed for a good night sleep. The only downside is they only have 2 elevators for high stories hotel. Long wait time during busy hours.

Had to leave the bfast quick and checked out early, it was a nightmare. In bfast area, despite all visitors were given plastic gloves to take foods and all hotel servers are wearing masks, the greeter didnt stop and ask people to wear masks (some people didnt wear masks and waking around in front of the exposed foods) and the worsts one is all foods are exposed to people, no food dividers, no servers giving out foods. Cant help imagine the no-mask people talking while taking the (exposed) foods!

Good location hotel with good view, big rooms, Only 2 lift elevators will be not enough if hotel full. Car park too narrow, need specialattention to get in and out and limited spaces . Overall its good

It was a pleasure to stay here with all of their warm services. Every staff greeted me very well and kindly, I got to the 29th floor with an amazing view of Surabaya. The evening tea surprised me at 7 pm and I feel like this hotel should be 5 Star. The 8th floor lounge with a swimming pool is very wonderful, I love their pizza but they don't have any spirit or alcohol.

My friend booked this hotel for short stay during business trip. I arrived at the hotel very late at night, but their welcome greetings was awesome. Very quick check in process, and the room was great.

Hotel location near to airport, high way access is nearby, how ever, since the up front street is double line, to reach hotel need to to pass crawded turning point. Room ambiance and facility quiet ok, restaurant menu with common assortment. However, traditional jamu jawa beinf plus points, as unique offer that can impress visitors. Good for business traveller.

We had a great stay! Thanks to April who arranged everything for us, she speaks fluently english and made us feel like VIP! The hotel itself is nice and clean, breakfast, lunch and diner were good. Small gym is included.

We stayed here on our last night in Surabaya! Room was clean and big. We got a high floor so we had a view of the city. We mostly took a Grab to get around that day but it seems that malls were all just a couple traffic lights down the road. Would recommend this place as it was affordable and it was up to our expectations. The only downside was that there were only 2 lifts servicing the whole hotel so it actually took us 5 mins just waiting for the lift to reach our floor and another 4 mins to reach the lobby as it stopped at almost every level.. Breakfast was good.

Booked the hotel because it is near my relatives. So, the location was my initial primary criteria. Checkin was easy and very friendly, of course it doesn't hurt that I am fluent in Indonesian. Breakfast was great. The room was very nice. Didn't get the chance to enjoy the pool, but it looks nice. The elevator was the worst, so slow that you would think it is running on human manual crank.

Property is okay as an airport hotel: location is close to airport, rooms are clean and decent. Elite recognition is nearly absent however. Check-in been a nightmare, betting Diamond upgrade took escalating to senior management.

We stayed in this hotel for two days and have a great experience. Three major suggestions: Add more elevator, change the coffee machine and change the towel, they are yellowing. Breakfast were amazing but the coffee machine didn't work ....

I have never stayed in a hotel where the staff are as nice as the Best Western Papilio Hotel. They picked me up from the airport and then the station, they could not have been kinder. The hotel itself is simple but entirely functional. The beds were super-comfortable and I slept very well. Breakfast was amazing, so much choice. Not forgetting that it's great value too. Note - that there is no alcohol in the building but that might have had something to do with Ramadan? I am sure that there are bars near by though. The staff will bend over backwards to help you find a restaurant etc. Thank you April and Reza for a great stay.

I been visited some of 4star hotel in Surabaya area, as frequently business trip occasion. Choose high floor if you wish to saw stunning view for sunrise or sunset. I tried several property, I though Best Western Papilio suitable one with my needs. Breakfast in restaurant serve a lot of choices, my best part with traditional stalls. My favourite one was lontong kikil and ceker pedas. Providing gym facilities and swimming pool, I much enjoyed even only 2 or 3 night every stay. I hope they had a special price for returning guest like me. Special thank to Dwi staff who very accommodating and friendly. Since now, once I had a meeting in Surabaya, I came back to this hotel. Very recommended.

The staff were wonderfully polite, friendly and helpful right from checking in through to parking and check out. The room was spacious, elegant and very clean. The bed was super comfortable and was a pleasure to sleep in. The bathroom was stylish with a large shower (With hot water). The buffet breakfast was amazing with lots of options to satisfy all tastes eg. traditional food, a chef on hand to make fresh omelettes or eggs to your liking, cereal / toast, a plethora of hot food options as well as fruit and a pastry / dessert bar. There are some cheaper accommodation options in Surabaya and if those wanting just a room for as cheap as possible this place may not be the option for you. However, for a little extra this hotel offers a whole lot more for your dollar.

We truly enjoyed our short stay at BW Surabaya with my husband. Value for money is high. Apart from regular hotel facilities we tried SPA, and it was just a pleasure! Breakfast was rather good, with a variety of choices of Asian and more international options. As BW hotel chain loyalty program members we received certain discounts for services (20-50% for restaurant and spa), as well as complimentary deserts in our room - which was completely unexpected and very nice!

The hotel is located at the entry of Surabaya, and you will not miss it because it stands tall (more than 30 floors). Although not very spacious, they can manage for a decent swimming pool that good for kids.Up to 8th floor are public areas, and a special proximity card is needed to enter rooms above the public areas. The hotel facility is standard you can find anywhere in major cities. However hospitality of the staff I should give 2 thumbs up. The view from some rooms are amazing, showing city view from height - this is a bit rare facility. Beside of the swimming pool, the hotel is signified with A&W Restaurant outside the lobby. Children are always fond with such fast food. Nearby, less than 50 meters from the hotel to the North, there is Primarasa Restaurant, a famous chicken restaurant.

Comfortable and convenient. Those are the right words to describe this hotel of comfortable is for the lobby and the room.Space-wise, the room is sufficient. It is not luxurious, but is comfortable to rest your tired body. All amenities work well, including the internet connection but rather up and down bandwidth.Soaps and tooth brush are always refilled and replaced every day.Convenience is for its location that is nearby the Aiport and also nearby the business/ government district. I've pleasant stay and will come back in the nearest future

Too bad we only stayed for one night here before catching for the flight. We stayed at 29th floor and got a big spacious room with a superb city view around! Beds are soft and comfortable, ensure you'll have a good sleep. When we sleep, we even open up all the curtains so that we could enjoy the sparkles of city lights, so beautiful. We didn't havr much time to enjoy pool and bar, but they're seem nice. Also have spa and massage service but closed on Eid holiday. They served breakfast from 6-10am, we ate at 8 but seems they run out of foods. The restaurant was very crowded since it was Eid holiday. I didn't see any staffs refill the foods. So we only ate breads and juice. We choose this hotel because it's near the airport, only 15-20 mins to get there. Overall, it was a nice stay. Would love to be back again.

I chose this hotel due to its location near to an exhibition hall I was attending for few days. Room design was decent but sound proof was problem as I could easily hear noises from other rooms and above floor. No alcoholic drinks (not even beers) served in the hotel. Not much places for eating nearby.

Good news about hotel are it have great view from pool although the pool size are small , the pool next the bar and have barbeque night. The bad : Deposit are 500.000 that seem quite hight for 3star hotel, and the pool are closed at weekend...seriously? Pool are public area and when you have activities you close it. Breakfast: average breakfast it have a taste and various item. Location : near juanda

We stayed here as a family while one of us had business in Surabaya. The staff was helpful and really accommodated our various needs (we needed access to a freezer, and it was no problem). The breakfast buffet was wild and excellent, and we found the Indonesian food offered by the restaurant was very good. We stayed in a high floor and noticed the elevator took a while when things were busy, but it was no problem as long as we factored in a few extra minutes.

Good service quick response by the officers. Very clean and good looking interior. Good view with no other high building around. The downsode is they placed quiet far from town center. But the road access is good.

Stayed for my cousin's wedding, my wife and I came from the station and the trip to the hotel was hell, we were greeted with a long traffic jam. Walking is hardly an option too as there are no safe way to cross the road. Our stay at the hotel was pleasant, the room was average but clean. the staff was helpful. The swimming pool is kinda small, I think and can be packed with guests early in the morning. There are couple of seats on the side of the pool that need to be cleaned or washed. The breakfast was good with good variety and tasted great too. On the plus side you can find an a&w restaurant on the ground floor which is great for evening snack.

It was an amazing stay experience, not far from the airport. Good place, good view, clean room. The bathroom was so-so, need to bring your own amenities the provided shampoo and soap was not okay at all.

I decided to stay here because the location is near to both Surabaya and Sidoarjo, when we checked in the staff were really friendly, they even have porters from my car to the rooms, when we called reception to ask for extra soap and shampoo, the staff came 2/3 minutes after the call, the room is very good for a 4 Star hotel. Some foods were cold like sausages and the taste is under my expectation for 4 star hotel. Sometimes i have to wait +-10 minutes to wait for the lift as there was only 2 lifts in this hotel (i stayed during low season).

I chosed this hotel because it located near to my branch office and not far from the airport. Actually it was not my first visit. Lastweek I stayed here for two nights. My room was on the 8th Floor where the gym, cafe & the pool situated. The cafe was quite crowded and noisy because there were live music band on the stage. The noise was very annoying that I could not have a good sleep until the band stop playing. The rest of the hotel is OK, the pool is pretty, the food for breakfast is good. I think I will be back there but I will ask some other different floor instead_

A cheaper way to stay in this hotel is booking a studio room in the apartment through Traveloka app. The apartment is in the right wing of the hotel. A studio room costs around one third of the hotel room. It's a small room with a comfortable double bed, a TV, a bathroom with hot shower (toiletries included) and a kitchenette (a fridge, stoves, a sink & coffee/tea-making facilities--but no kitchen utensils). There's a small balcony, although it's not as clean as the room. I can see a nice view of city from the 12th floor. If you book a studio room in the apartment, you don't check in in the apartment lobby. The contact person, Mr. Rizal, will send you a message to make an appointment with you in the apartment lobby. When you meet him in the lobby, he will show you the room and give you key. When you check out, just leave the keys in your room.

I got room 809. The bathroom is for dissable so there is no barrier glass between toilet and the shower. But its okay, but the door is also a little bit broken. It can't close tightly. 1st night, my bathroom doesnt have trash bin. The wastafel is clogged. Room 309 is near to cafe with the live music. So if you need quite room, dont pick this room. The food taste is good.

I use this hotel as a transit hotel from Jakarta to Bali. I did a mistake by booking 1 day earlier than I should (2 rooms). When I arrive the the next day, I did not even realize it. We arrive at night 10 PM exhausted after 24 hours driving only to find out that my bookings was toasted. Nobody called me asking about the bookings prior, when I asked, the manager told me that BW don't call because I book trough apps and not directly to hotel .... hmm. When I asked for solution, the hotel manager in charge seem don't care and have no empathy. He give me best price (I can get that same best price he gave me from apps). I told him since this is my mistake, then I will pay for again for 1 room and I asked is it possible for him to give me additional discount / 1 room extra consider I already paid 2 rooms and did not use it but no empathy. The room itself is good for 4 star hotel, toilet is good. Location is not so good, no close mall within walk distance, it lay next to Primarasa restaurant. The breakfast is poor, fried rice tasted plain and not as good as another 4 star hotel.

I stay in this hotel for several days for biz trip. The hotel provide exactly same main course menu and tasted plain every day so it feels like you're having breakfast in a dorm rather than a 4star hotel.

I came late after overnight and asked reception desk to extend some hours for extra. The gave me until 2 pm but at 12 am they knocked my door. Annoying especially while I am on sleeping. Not come back again for sure

Mostly they have a good service, served delicious food for breakfast. Big enough room for the Deluxe queen. They have spa, gym, and pool facility. There are also a restaurant A&W if you need some fast food.

I stayed on May 10, 2018, until May 12, 2018. This is my another business trip, and this hotel provided by my General Affair of my branch office in Surabaya. Since this is one of a kind hotel near my branch office in Surabaya. I occupied the standard-twin room, I think the room is large enough for the standard-twin size room. My room has a city view, mmm I mean government/SOE office exactly. There are two twin bed, with a tv with some good tv-cable-channel like HBO, MTV, SBS, etc. An air conditioner with a very good condition, a safe deposit box inside the cabinet. And the bathroom is equipped by water-heater-shower with a sink and mirror inside. Also the completeness of the toiletries. Thumbs up for the neatness and cleanliness of the room. The public facilities there are Free WiFi (but ain't try this) and some outdoor Swimming pool with VERY GOOD VIEW (on the 7th floor), I mean you can imagine a pool in the top view like infinity-pool. Oh yaa and there's cafe or resto around the pool area with pool and rooftop view. The staffs are friendly and available 24 hours. And located more near Juanda International Airport, Sidoarjo rather than "Heart-City" of Surabaya They have so many variants of food and beverages, and all of them were so delicious! And on the ground floor, there are commercial restaurants like A&W, some Cafe/ Coffee spot, and ATM center. Which is very good. Thumbs up for this hotel. I recommend this one for you that will stay on Sidoarjo/Surabaya.

I went here after I saw a promo from Deal Java. The coupon mentioned a few main courses to select but when we were there, they said they only have chicken when we planned to order salmon or beef instead. The appetizer, dessert and main course tasted good but we're still sad that none of the waiters informed us that we cannot choose from the listed menu in the coupon. I hope they made a good coordination with the coupon vendor and the staffs.

The Room was so clean and has a great view from 11 floor the pool has a great view to the city all staff was friendly there is a pool bar in near swimming pool but they don't sell any alcohol. when i ask place to buy a beer the bar manager name Arya help to buy beer near the hotel i think this great extra mile from staff. but i am so disappointed with the elevator is took so long to go lobby but i am very recommended this hotel

Stayed at the Papillio BW hotel for the second time, and on both occasions the stay was excellent with professional, friendly staff, great rooms, and a superb breakfast with an extensive range of high quality foods and attentive staff.

The hotel is located at the south of Surabaya, it makes it a bit far from the city center. Exempt from that, this hotel offers a very good service, clean rooms, new buildings, great outdoor pools that located at the 8th and 9 floor The breakfast is great, a variety of food from around the world were served deliciously and ready to be choose. I have a great stay, and I'll be back again.

I picked this hotel because of its package with the airlines that I used traveling to Surabaya. Stay there for 1 night. Check-in around 3.00pm was very smooth and staffs are all very friendly. Got myself a deluxe room at 16th floor, and room is clean and spacious. Immediately connect my computer to the hotel wifi and it was working perfectly at very good speed. Door banging from next door room was quite noisy. Breakfast room offers variety of choices, but hot food was a bit cool already (and not kept warm) although I had breakfast at 6.30am

Best Western Papilio is one of the best hotels near the Surabaya airport area in Sidoarjo. They have high floors where we can see the city, an infinity swimming pool which is not too big. The breakfast menu is quite variety with quality taste. It is a good place to stay in Surabaya, near the airport area.

this hotel is about 15 minutes from Juanda Terminal 2 international airport. we booked a suite room on the 36th floor..a spacious room, lots of amenities, with incredible views. only when entering the room there is a bad smell from the room. the rooms were not soundproofed at all. The guests from the next room were very audible even though they were just talking casually, and its worst when that day there were many kids guest in the next room and they were playing and screaming alot whole night. secondly, the sound of the bathroom exhaust fan and the thunderous AC noise. I have to turn off the AC to sleep! water from the shower smells less pleasant in the beginning and hot water is not in constant temperature (sometimes can get very hot, sometimes cold). we ordered food into our room. taste good enough but for sirloin steak, the meat was not good. It was not an impressive hotel for me.

The Best Western Papilio is not located near much of anything else (one restaurant 50 meters away, but that's about it), so you need a vehicle to get around everywhere. There is an A&W and a coffee shop in the same building as the hotel though. The rooms are clean and comfortable, but the bathroom exhaust fan roared when running and the aircon unit just outside the window was also so loud that I had to turn off the aircon to sleep! Luckily it was not so hot that I could not sleep without it, but it was not so comfortable. If you like an evening beer, note that the hotel doesn't sell beer (even with room service). Staff are friendly, but not well-informed (I asked if there was a supermarket around where I could buy beer and they sent me on a long walk of more than a kilometer, where I found the store which did not sell beer!). SAFETY ALERT: be careful with the entryway... it becomes very slippery when wet with rain. It is a very dangerous entryway!

Overall is good, spacious room and i love the full wide window so i can see the outside clearly, its a good point for me. Breakfast is quite nice. The outdoor pool is interesting one, such an invinity pool.

Nice room with comfort bed as best western standard. I just disappoint about the pool which no clear and clean water. So i was not been inside. The service was great. They prepare us a breakfast box as we have to catch the flight in early morning.

A friend of mine recommended me to stay at the Best Western due to close distance to toll way so easier for me to access satellite cities like Gresik and Pasuruan. I arrived so late and was tired and check in time took quite sometime. The access to the room was only served by two elevators. There were always queue in front of the elevators even during night time. Breakfast was standard.

Recently stayed at Best Western Papilio Hotel and were very pleased with the service and support from the staff there. All the staff are very professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. I would also like to comment on the cleaniness of the room. The service is outstanding! Everything are exceed my expectation! I highly recommend this hotel for business, pleasure, or whatever you may be requiring.

Due to airport closure in Bali, I had to travel overland to Surabaya to catch an outbound flight. It was past midnight already when I checked in to catch the early flight at Juanda airport Surabaya. Very efficient reception. Clean room and good hot showers. Enjoyed my stay even though only for 4 hours! I requested for a breakfast box as I had to leave at 4am. They packaged a nice egg sandwich, a sweet pastry, a fresh guava and a bottled water. Very good!!! Thank you. Since no traffic in early morning, it took only 20 minutes to get to the airport. Mission accomplished!

The location and bedding is good. Other than that, I have nothing to should about this hotel. Water pressure goes up and down. Staffs wasn't as friendly or helpful. Cleanliness was not to expectation. They have good choices for breakfast but it doesn't taste good or fresh. Generally, nothing great and I think I may not go back.

i stay for 1 days with total 4 rooms with my family good location hotel average food quality and taste formal and "less smile" receptionist nice room with good size of twin bed internet in my room is not good. low signal and weak the most hateful moment is when i entrusted 2 small bag and 1 umbrella at 22th november 2017 with AR as handled, they said that the umbrella has lost. no solution at all and they`re not replace it that is high quality umbrella. i am regret to leave it to them overall this hotel is ok. not so special but average

Nice location and good amenities. The rooms were spacious and was well maintained. The staff were helpful for airport pickup and drop. Had A&W western food and a cafe near the entrance which was OK. Nothing to complain.

1. Not detailed on room cleanliness. When i arrived at my room i found used tea bag inside trash bin 2. Not enough staff during C/i. i was checked in around 7pm, i found only 1 staff and there were 3 guest queuing ( including me) without recognition. Receptionist just busy on her computer while handle only 1 guest. She ignored the other guest. 3. When i checked out, i have paid my bill but on next day reception send sms that i still have 1 bill not paid yet because of they late to input on their system.

I was there 2 time and the second time I asked for cappuccino for breakfast and they answer only coffee tea, look very strange that for 4 star hotel no have cappuccino . I suggest to improve the quality of the spa person.

Hotel building was separated of hotel and apartment. Several of fast food provides as another optional once you get bored to eat in the hotel. Lobby, huge with warm decorated, elegant lighten blends with nice smile from the front desk. Efficiently check in process eventhough I have to awaiting in some line for overwhelmed service. Arya, friendliness front desk with nice grooming made first good impression. Otherwise, they sell slice of cake in lobby. Must try! 226 rooms with 2 elevators, i have to say enough once your hotel not in very peak seasons. Then, top floor swimming pool as the best spot for all of you chilled with your lovely one. Romantic ambience at the night and cozy panoramic of Surabaya. The biggest highlight was cleanliness in the room. Dusty allergic sometimes brought bad comment up from me for review hotel. But, exceptional for your hotel. 9.5 from 10 pamper my convenient sleep. Next, various of breakfast was worthed with spend as much as I paid for. Overall, nothing to be complained. Dwi and Yoga, another reception who always greet the guest, especially me with my name. Good way for make guest proud of recognized. To be honest, I definitely came back for my next business trip.

The rooms are nice enough and comfortable, but the wifi does not work, the old shower model and its water pressure is lacking. Breakfast menu is quite varied but tastes nothing that tastes good. Sausage was spicy seasoned, my son could not eat it and it was the only menu for the child. I asked the waiter, the answer is that sausage in spicy seasoning. Does not offer sausage without spicy seasoning. No fresh juice, if you want to pay extra. Herbs that are frozen and not fresh. Porridge with no taste and broth. Chicken soup as well. Fruits only 4 kinds, papaya, hard melon, pineapple and orange is also sour. Cake snack was hard and not new. I only stay 1 night to the next morning continue my trip to Bali. When check out, I complained about it, they asked for an email and phone number so the manager can contact me. They apologized for the spicy sausage, I should have asked to make sausage without seasoning. But the waiter in the restaurant did not give me a solution, quite disappointing. Lift only 2, but didnt make me wait too long. The corridors outside the room are quite stuffy and hot, looks like no air vents and ac. The rest is quite good.

It was a relatively new hotel on Ahmad Yani. One of many that have flourished in the past few years. The hotel is part of a mixed-use of apartments, supporting retail, and hotel. Plus point: there's a supporting retail on ground floor, with A&W. There's also a large family restaurant, just 50 m walk. Room was very good and comfortable too. Not so plus point: The breakfast. For a hotel claiming to be 4-star, the food quality didn't even meet my expectation of a 3-star hotel. and it will be difficult to sustain tough competition in Surabaya. Hopefully they fix this one quickly. Also, the lobby is basically inside the supporting retail area. So you drop off at the same point as everybody else, enter the door into the retail area, walk passed A&W, and into another hotel lobby door, which was slightly awkward.

This is first time in BW Papilio Hotel. I stay for 2 night. Location in main street, jl.A.Yani, but not in city centre. My room so comfort, so clean with large window for best view (actually at night). The bathroom is clean too. A little problem about sounds along night from upstair (i stay in level 35), i report to receptionist, and i hv the feedback...the sounds from damage water pump. The room service from their restauran was so good, delicious food. Breakfast was okey, much menu, good food, good taste. They hv pool n gym area. A fast food restaurant n coffee shop in lobby level. Helpfull n kindness staff. Recommended for business or family traveling.

Stayed for one night with my family during a weekend in May 2017. The hotel shares the building with an apartment but it has its own entrance. The hotel is easy to find. The building is the most prominent and tallest among other establishments around it. The hotel is accessed through the frontage road of Jalan Ahmad Yani, a road that may get congested in the evening and weekend. Via toll road, the hotel may be reached from the airport in around 30 minutes. Parking space near the entrance might be scarce, some of it are reserved for taxi stand. Otherwise you will park in the parking building. There's a public area before entering the lobby. In the public area there are a coffee shop and AW fast food restaurant that may become an alternative to the hotel's restaurant. The lobby is quite large with several three-piece suites. A bar and cake shop is also located in the lobby. The 30-storeys hotel has two elevators which sometimes created long queue during rush hour or when there is an event in the hotel ballroom. The room is quite large, ours has a king-sized bed. Working desk and safe deposit box are available in the room, so are coffee- and tea-making facilities. Vacant power sockets can be found beside the bed and on the working desk (socket on the desk is a universal one). The bathroom is a standing bathroom, shower with no bathtub. Be advised that in Indonesia, tap water is not drinkable. Room lighting is okay, but area in the shower is a bit dark. Cleanliness of the closet could be improved as we found our closet a bit dusty. Free Wi-Fi is available and the username + password is given after check-in. I ordered Nasi Goreng from the room service menu. It was delicious and worth the price, I also did not wait for too long. The buffet breakfast is superb and comparable to that offered by 5-stars hotel. Selections are very wide. Indonesian, western, and oriental options are available. Traditional Indonesian food and herbal beverages (jamu) are also available. The roomy restaurant itself is located on the 7th floor. There are two separate swimming pools on the deck on the 8th floor. Table and chairs are also available. Unfortunately, I didn't get the opportunity to use the swimming pools but it seemed nice after all. Staffs are wonderful and polite. They greet you, if you are fortunate, by name. Every morning at around 9 am, staffs would knock on the door collecting laundries if there is any. As a sidenote, send my regards to Mr. Tulus who helped me to brought my luggage from my car. When I was already in the room, he called and informed me that one of the lamp inside my car is still turned on. He was concerned with the electric accumulator in my car. Thank you very much :) As a verdict, I had a good experience staying in this hotel. This hotel in my personal opinion is both suitable for family and business trips as it is near the airport. Kids seemed to love the swimming pools. The room is nice. I would like it should I visited this hotel again

It's located at the edge of South Surabaya, so quite close to airport. Anyway the gym, the pool, the restaurant's food quality is VERYYY nice, there's AW restaurant and -no brand- convenience store, even though it's not open 24hours. You need to have the room's card key to access elevator, which is one of the plus point. The only thing i hate about this hotel is it only has 2 elevators, and it goes quite slow it's quite annoying. But nvm, since all of the staff are friendly and t feels so homey for a staycation!

I just want to say thank you for Best Western Papilio hotel for the great hotel. Everything is perfect. And i was very happy when I knew they have smoking room. Yeah, I'm smoker haha.. And the food is delicious! just simply love it and im sure i'll come back again when I travelling to Surabaya very soon!. *thumbs up!

Great hotel for leisure and business, the buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner providing mostly local favorites is enjoyable. The room service is timely. The room is comfortable and the staffs are friendly. Good manage hotel

I stay for one night in superior twin room. The room and the bed are quite spacious. There is flat TV with TV cable channel. They provide 2 complimentary mineral water and some tea bag and coffee and you can ask for more. There is kettle and safety box too. There is laundry service also (but i didnt use it so i dont know the regulation). There is shower only (not bath tub) and one wash basin, both provide hot water. Bathroom amenities contains 2 dental kit, bath gel, body lotion and shampoo, sadly they didnt provide conditioner and comb. There is hair dryer in the bathroom. They serve welcome drink in the lobby. There is gym, but the equipment is standard. The swimming pool is divided into two, the 60cm and 120cm. The gym and swimming pool open from 6AM until 10PM. It is located at 8 floor and the view is good, but it is not spacious. Breakfast start from 8AM until 10AM, they serve a bit american, chinese and indonesian food. There is some problem with the key when I checked in (system down so I couldnt access the lift with my key card but the staff assist us and at the night they can renew my key card so it is not a big deal). Also, when I put my key card in the power system, the electricity is not working, but the engineering come right away and the problem solved fast. I didnt notice the staff name, but the check out was smooth, the staff who serve welcome drink, the gym, restaurant, bellboy, doorman, engineering and the front office were all friendly and nice

We stayed in the Best Western Papilio for 4 nights and from the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty. The staff was extraordinary in remembering our names and always greeted us with a smile and an offer to assist us. The hotel made arrangements for us to have a car and driver to tour Surabaya and even went so far as to drive us to another cash machine when the one nearest the hotel wasn't working properly. The pool was wonderful and we had a great 90 minute massage at their spa. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning a visit to Surabaya!

After spending a week of family holiday in eastern part of east java, on the last night before flying back to Jakarta, we decided to stay overnight in Surabaya. I browsed several hotels, but from reviews and location, we went for this Best Western Papilio hotel. It turned out to be a good choice, we got a warm welcome at the front desk, room with pool view and a complimentary afternoon tea. The room is clean, the infinity pool is small but has nice view. At the ground floor there's A&W restaurant and coffee shop. Extra breakfast for kids is 65 IDR nett The hotel is close to the airport, only 30 min away

But the hotel only has 2 elevators for serving 36 floors, be ready for the delay. Was staying at 3201, good and clean room. There are 2 pools and 8th fl, breakfast is good, some other cafe/fast food restos are available at the lobby entrance. Good if you come here by taxi, because I took almost 25 mins to find a parking slot.

Stayed at this hotel for one night on transit through Indonesia. The internet was good and the rooms are good size and very clean. Check in was easy and the staff were very nice, April was very helpful and polite, thank you. The only down side is the bar area is not great and when I went to the restaurant for a drink it came from the bar down stairs and was not cold. Would stay again if I needed to. Over all a good place to stay.

We stayed for a change of atmosphere during a short holiday. The room was great, the Pool was cold (too cold for my taste), still, my kids loved it. The staff was very friendly and helpful, they help us find some medicine when one of our family member was ill. Love the afternoon snack. if you want it, you should ask for it beforehand, for they pick random rooms to serve the afternoon snack. The breakfast buffet is impressive. There are many options to choose from and delightful desserts Other meal options: there is an A&W store on the ground floor & Primarasa, a well known & humble restaurant next door. Things that could be better: - Not enough elevator during crowded hours, We have to wait hours to get to our room from the pool. - I am hoping for a sunny breakfast hall, instead, the breakfast hall seems gloomy even tough there are enough lights from the lamps All in all, We really enjoyed our stay in Best Western Papilio hotel. Long journey from Bromo to Batu and Surabaya but worth the stay even for a night. Highly recommended by our tour driver. Honest and sincere services from the front desk down to room service. Lightning fast in our personal request. Breakfast was great. My wife likes it. The pumpkin spread was very imaginative. Too bad we had to catch a plane next day. But we will be back soon. Front desk staffs are friendly n so helpful as I have to drop my bag at the hotel and it was too early too check in.Room very clean , Airconditioning was ok.Breakfast was ok,buffet type.Just too crowded lobby also I have to wait lift for long time as there are only 2 elevators for hotel and also condotel's guests.Dont forget to ask for spare room keycard. The advantage is that A&W located just outside the lobby, so we have a choice to buy take away food. which is great. I will certainly come back to this hotel

Comfy bed, nice bathroom and the room very clean. I love their breakfast they serve authentic breakfast and also western breakfast, A lot of choices of food. They serve halal food for breakfast and BBQ.

We picked this hotel coming back from trekking in Kawah Ijen and spend a night for an early flight back home. This hotel is good in a way of their affordable price, room is quite ok, all amenities was in the standard level. Breakfast box was not that great but still appreciate that they arrange it for us who leaving so early in the morning. Wifi in this hotel was very strong and stable.

I have booked through traveloka.com, the staff and also management not respon all of my complain during I stayed. When check in time we have to carried our luggage by our self because no body welcoming us and the check in process too long. The lady reception names Dea or Lea totally arrogant. The room not clean enough and some of shower tools not completed. I've called a few time to reception but they did not pict my phone.. How come?? is it the 4 stars standard hotel from best western? I request wake up call at 5am because our flight is 7am, they woke me up at 6.30am. I write down a comment in the room but until i write this review, hotel management never call me or say apologize. My stayed at best western papilio really really TERRIBLE and I will never stay here again.

Choosed this hotel because its quite near to the aiport. But, hotel lift only 2 for 36floors building, waiting the lift for quite some times. Staff at reception wasn't friendly. Breakfast was so so, the brakfast place not as nice as the lobby. Not available choice of pillows, only provide the hard pillow only, the service was too slow when we asked for the soft pillows. In the room can hear the water dripping on the cailing. Called the maintenance for 2 hours no respond.

Well, the room was nice.. but the mineral water, coffee and tea at the breakfast had bad taste and smell not good.. may be because the water, i don't know.. i had a long queue for the lift because the hotel just have 2 lift for 36floor.. Really hate that..

This is new hotel in Surabaya and I spent 2 nights in this hotel. Overall, I have a good impression of this hotel, but this hotel is not in the center of Surabaya, need to use a car to reach center of Surabaya, but I chose this hotel because it is the same direction to my Office, which are out of Surabaya. The condition is good, the service also good. The water pressure also good, the cleanliness is good. I had no issue when I stayed at this hotel. In the lobby we will find fastfood restaurant, which is good you dont need go far. Only one thing, this hotel doesnt have a pub/bar. Need to consider to have one, due to alcohol restriction in the city.

It tries to be a standard business class hotel. Clean attractive well positioned. But management needs to work on several problems: totally overdose on air freshener which burns my eyes and literally makes breathing difficult in the lobby and hallways. Breakfast buffet offers a good choice but if you are a bit of a health freak, forget it. Juices are all sugared water. Even the beans were loaded in sugar. Breads are all Indonesian attempts at quality bread. They also serve cereal (kiddie types. Nothing nutritious) with chocolate milk. I asked for regular milk for my tea. Kosong! Alias none. Internet was good and staff try really hard to be helpful. Please work on the air freshener and food service to make it a fine hotel! Unfortunately i had no time to try the gym.

I love the high floor that got us the city view of Surabaya. The room is supremely comfortable with elegant interior. The bed is so comfortable, linen is soft and fragrant. Lobby looks too small though. Thank you for warm greetings with two glasses of cold orange juice in a very hot weather of Surabaya!

Located just around Waru roundabout gives it perfect access to anywhere outside Surabaya area saving the effort n time going through busy traffic into another downtown hotel, especially during after the office hours. Just ideal for business traveller like me. Room is pretty well sized, modern and new. Breakfast was good featuring local food as well. Issue they have to look at is that the elevator travels really slow, prepared 10 mins until it stops at your floor. It even passed my floor couple times. Take the service lift instead, much faster. Room at the corner facing main road is too exposed with traffic noise, woke up at least twice by train horn.

Great hotel, Nice view, Friendly Staffs, Nice Food, .. pretty much suits your every need,... poor location though, its pretty far from city centre, .... and also, there was not enough sign to indicate lift to the hotel from the parking site, i took the wrong lift, and ended up getting to the apartment instead of the hotel..

This hotel is really wonderful , but sorry 36th floor with 2 Lift is your mistake design...! You can calculate what time for waiting the lift. I need waiting more than 10 minute in the morning while breakfast. Thanks

Big room..good wifi... Good skypool but too small... Standart buffet breakfast... but the rooms are not soundproof. I can hear other people walking and other people ringing the other rooms bell. Final result not so comfortable hotel...

It's so convenient to stay there with all of my families. It has a spacious room with a great quality of bed and pillows. Nice rooftop pool with toddler friendly area, fast WiFi connection, various menu on its buffet and supported with friendly staffs. Love it!!

The check in process was quite slow, and there was some queue going on. But the hotel room was spacious and clean. The Wi-Fi was fast, and the A&W in the ground floor was a plus. The only major letdown was the lift though. We waited too long for the lift, that we ended up not extending our stay. Because i brought an elderly with me. Overall great location, friendly staffs and nice breakfast.

The reception staff was very helpful,The rooms were good nice and big also a big bathroom.Wi Fi was also good comfy bed. The buffet breakfast in the morning was fantastic so many different choices. Even though it seems a little bit out of the way it is very easy to get to the city center and taxis were cheap .It is on the main road that runs to the Tunjungan Plaza and a lot closer to the airport than city hotels. For the price I paid it was very good value

Recommended by my friend, I tried to stay in Best Western Papilio Hotel Surabaya. I was not disappointed, because it is in the city but not far from the airport. For the new business hotel, room is very big and the facilities is good. The price really Cheap for such a good hotel.

This hotel is new, launched at the end of 2015. The employees are very polite and try to be very helpful. The room is nice, full of electric sockets for all our needs. The TV has rich programs. The water in the bedroom runs hard and everything is clean They also have a nice pool, albeit not very big The problem is that this hotel is very tall, perhaps the highest in the city, but they have only TWO lifts. With my room at the 29th floor, it took me quite a few minutes when I must stop at almost every floor to get to the lobby during the busy breakfast time. The hotel also provides transportation to pick up and take us somewhere we want. The good driver picks me up from the airport, but never shows up in the morning to take me where I want to go. The replacement driver was polite and apologized for my arriving late at my appointment. The second day, the receptionist call me in the morning to inform me that the driver is ready. But when I get down to the lobby exactly same thing happen: no driver, the same replacement from yesterday, and same sincere apology. I like this hotel, but next time, I will use Uber

Lift is only 1 for 30 floor up. Need a lot of times to just wait the elevator. Free wifi, but there is no connection at all at my room. Bad view. Very dirty, bad odors, small room, too expensive for that service. food is varied but the taste is average. Not tasty, and not too bad either. pool is cool but very limited seat and no towel offered. I didn't recommend this hotel to my family and friends.

its quite near from surabaya airport juanda terminal 1, if you arrive from terminal 2 its quite far, estimste using taxi from terminal 2 to hotel gonna cost you Rp 200.000 rupiah indonesia. the location is middle of town, nice place to sleep, free wifi, delicious breakfast in western style..

The last day of my business trip, I moved to this hotel. As usual I chose this hotel based on Tripadvisor review. Shortly this hotel is great. The location is quite ok, near some places to eat (even we need go there using taxi). It's also quite near with the airport, but a little bit far for the town center. The building is quite ok, but not too special. This hotel is in one area with an apartment. The front door is not private for the hotel. It's a little bit bothering me actually. in spite of that the most impressive thing of this hotel is the room view. I used 1506 and it has a really great view! Gosh, I can see sunset from my room! If we take rooms in front 1506 I believe we can see sunrise. This already in my next plan when I visit Surabaya :) Beside of that the staff service is also great. In spite of that greeting is standard for 4 stars hotel, this hotel really managed and kept it well. Almost all staffs gave greeting with nice smile. In the afternoon the duty manager called me and offered me an afternoon tea as their compliment. Surprisingly he came to my room with the waitress to send the tea He asked my opinion about the room & service, and asked me to contact him directly if I need something. So nice :) There are 2-3 restaurants outside the hotel in the same building, but we chose to have dinner in the hotel restaurant. The food quality is good. Quite expensive with good taste. Our favorite is "coriander grill beef ribs" (iga bakar ketumbar). Breakfast is also good. Very complete menu with quite good taste. They served a unique traditional food named "corn rice" that I never found it before. Nice to try new food in this restaurant. Definitely I will come back to this hotel next time in next business trip. Really miss to sleep in my hotel soft bed to see the sunset :)

Stay for 4 nights and it was great!! the staff was very help full and nice event in the late evening. You could find some fast food and cafe as well. Sk ypool was AWESOME! and the best part is the wifi quite fast.

Great value for the nice room, which a new hotel. Parking lot lil bit confusing between apartment lift and best western lift. This hotel only has 2lift serving til 32floors. In check out time I need almost TWO HOURS from restaurant floor to my room floor and down again to lobby. The superior room in corner, so they have more windows. which I love it. Main door in the room arent SOUNDPROOFING. Located on jl.a yani which almost no hotels around. This main street was traffic often all the time. So u have to get ready face the traffic right after u leave the hotel area. Parking is free for hotel guest, but the parking ticket has to be stamped arlt receptionist before you leave the parking lot. I wasnt realize that in first time, so I have to pay almost 25.000 only for parking.

This is my favorite hotel of all time. I love the hotel staffs the most. They very helpful and comforting, smiles all the time that accompany you during the entire stays. The rooms is my best part, spacious indeed, large windows to the ceiling that you could enjoy the Surabaya city view and housing area nearby. I couldn't ask for more, go for it, do not hesitate!

my friend and i booked several superior room. my friend got upgraded to deluxe, and i didnt get upgraded. but i dont have any complained, its a brand new hotel, the room is super clean, complete amenities.....great size pool on the 8th floor, and lots of choice in breakfast. there's fast food restaurant near the lobby which quite helpful because is hard to find a place to eat in the nearby area. a downside for me is there are only 2 elevator in the hotel, so sometimes i have to wait a little bit longer for the elevator.

Location. On the main road from airport into Surabaya. No choice for dining within walking distance from the hotel. There are some junk food places in the same building but no real food nearby. Hotel is very new and the rooms are comfortable and have everything that is required. Check in staff were friendly and helpful but were unable to work the credit card machine to take my deposit. Room is good for the price and the T.V has a good choice of channels. I had issues with the bathroom flooding when I took a shower but this was rectified by changing rooms. Not ideal situation when you are on business with a tight schedule but things happen. Unfortunately due to the issues with taking the deposit on my credit card at check in, when I ordered room service they delivered the food, I started to eat, then they returned and said I had to pay cash because I did not leave a deposit. I carry some cash but not enough to cover room service. The reason I use room service is because I do not want to go out or to the hotel restaurant to eat and I am not about to go out to withdraw money from an ATM to pay room service, this defeats the whole object of room service. To be fair on the staff they want to help but they are not yet empowered or experienced enough to resolve issues. I think they will get there in time as they seem keen to learn and are genuinely friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a quite a good selection and the chef went out of his way to make a special ommelette for me with ingredients that was not part of the standard egg station. Well done for this, I have stayed at 5 star hotels who found this impossible to achieve. For most people this is a great value and comfortable hotel. I personally don't have the time to help to train the staff, as keen as they may be to learn. This is purely down to my personal expectations as I travel on business a lot and need everything to work smoothly, therefore I am more attuned to mishaps. Unfortunate for the hotel staff but they can use this as a great learning experience. Thank you to Muwidoyo who salvaged the whole experience by going out of his way to resolve everything.

I found Best Western hotel on Tripadvisor. Located at JL. Ahmad Yani, close to the city center. Best Western hotel also serves as an apartment, so there are several outlets food that available in the ground floor. Upon arrival, I was panicked because I didn't know that the room I booked from a mobile aps was not including breakfast. But fortunately the hotel staff was very kind, she gave me breakfast voucher without extra cost. Smoking and non smoking floor are separated and it's really nice for non smoker like myself. The room was quite spacious and air conditioner also function very well, so I can sleep soundly that night. Food was amazing. The breakfast buffet has a large variety of food including Indonesian traditional food. The only thing that bothered me was the restaurant was not large enough to accommodate all the guests. Gym was okay. Becareful during rush hour, the roadways can get quite congested in front of the hotel.

Staying at best western papilio for even 1 night is great... Nice hotel... nice and clean room... complete ameneties... breakfast also great.... menu are varieties... And with all of this facilities... the price is fair...

Clean comfortable rooms with all the amenities. The beds are very comfortable and we had a very good night's sleep. We dined in at the “Mariposa” restaurant and found both the food and service to be extremely poor. We were a party of six and we were the only table in the restaurant. After ordering we waited over 30 minutes for the food to arrive. Each order arrived separately, with 15 minutes between the arrival of the first and the last. The steak and lamb chops were so salty that they were almost inedible. Overall, it was a miserable dining experience. Our room included breakfast which was a pleasant surprise after the dismal dining experience. The buffet had a great variety of Western and Indonesian breakfast fare, including an omelet bar and espresso machine. Excellent breakfast. The free wifi is good, but disconnects automatically after about 5 minutes of inactivity, requiring you to log in over and over again; however, tech support arrived quickly with fruit tray in hand to resolve a connectivity issue. The room service is also quite poor. We had to call three times to reception before our request for ice was fulfilled. I also had to call to have the air conditioning fixed and no one ever came.

We are on the way to malang when we stay at this hotel. One night only, but it was enough to know that the staff at the hotel was very friendly and very helpful. With the price I have to pay, the hotel is relatively cheap. Not much of an impression that I got, but Definitely will stay at this hotel if I visit Surabaya in future.

Stayed here for a night and I extended my stay till few more nights. Had amazing experience in the hotel. Located in a very strategic location on the main road of Ahmad Yani. Room is big, all in well condition, new building, every single thing worked well. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. The only thing I can say is bit disappointed with breakfast. Breakfast for few times, and I never felt so satisfied, I think for the F&B Dept could do better than now in future :) Overall, was great experience. Definately will be back anytime soon :)

I like this hotel so much. I think this is the cheapest hotel compared with the other same-cost hotel per night. It was new and i knew it right after the hotel had inaugurated, at that time i was delegated by my campus to hold a test for final national exam questions (UNAS), and i was wondering how this new hotel be. it was clean, the room is quite wide, complete toiletries (including hair dryer, sandals, small towel and big one), alarm clock, coffee maker. The very nice hospitality is there an evening tea at 07.00 PM and served to each room.

Got one of the most excellent experience of staying in this Hotel. The employees at front desk were really helpful. Specially Mr Abdul was extremely helpful. He guided a lot for the local experience. Every Indian should stay in this hotel to get an advantage of Indian language.

We're traveling to Bali and transit in this hotel. Staff is good, i asked a room with great view, they fulfill my wish. Thanks. We have to check out very early in the morning, they provide us breakfast box so we don't miss the meal. On way back from Bali i was planning to stay again here but unlucky the hotel is fully booked. If you're planning to go to Surabaya then consider Best Western one of your choices.

We're on the family roadtrip for 10 days from bogor to Bali, after we got back from Bali we were transit in view city on our way back to bogor. One of our choice are Best Western Papilio Hotel Surabaya. During the check in we found nice and friendly staff, they also had a cool pool @8 floor and it's worth for money. Indeed it's nice transit during our tour de Java family roadtrip.

For new hotel overall was good, the room was spacious and many windows so we could saw surabaya city in many view. The bathroom was clean since it was new. Breakfast was good and various. For new hotel there were many can be improve to be better hotel.

The hotel is situated outside the city activities, you need taxi services to and from the main part of town. The hotel is new, just opened recently for business. The check in/check out are speedy. Breakfast offers a veriaties of local fares together with some western items.

I was on a 5 day work trip to Surabaya during Dec 2015 and my local hosts had booked me into this budget hotel. Despite the infamous traffic in Surabaya, it was just 30 minutes drive from airport. I was on a 33rd floor room that had great views of the city. Room was large, clean and well maintained, although the plumbing in the bathroom needed improvement. The inclusive breakfast was large and sumptuous. And the hotel is near some of the shopping malls.

Stayed here because it's closer to my customer location. Surabaya is not that big but traffic during rush hour can be challenging. If your activity is around south part of Surabaya or its nearby districts such as Sidoarjo, Taman or toward Malang direction, this hotel is wonderful. Also close to the airport and probably the best choice available ner airport hotel in surabaya. Still very new, open for months only. The interior was not fancy but necessary amenities are available. Bed and pillows were comfy but the linen was a bit rough.

A big surprise on my stopover in Surabaya - the brand new hotel is less than 20 mins from the airport on the outskirts of the city, and the service received is more akin to 5 star than a typical Best Western Hotel. The building is new, and is also an apartment complex. There are a couple of shops and cafes outside the reception. A doorman greeted us, and we were welcomed with cookies and a drink. The staff are well trained and speak excellent English. There are only 2 lifts, but they work well considering the number of floors, and we reached our room with ease. The room itself was reasonably sized, with a nice bathroom, free minibar (although it only contained crisps and a wafer), free wifi, a lovely comfy bed and a decent view. Unfortunately, if you look hard you can see the finish of the hotel is pretty poor. There are marks and poor decoration all over, the bathroom in particular looks unfinished. The walls are paper thin too, and there's quite a bit of noise from outside the room. There was a room service option, but no menu provided for it! I should also mention the poor speed of the wifi, which we gave up on after an hour. Breakfast was the star attraction, a ton of choice, all tasty and served with a smile. There was even a musician playing when we stayed. Finally there's also an outdoor pool, which is quite large and a welcome added bonus. For me, the price we paid vs the quality of sleep and breakfast made this the default choice for Surabaya - it's almost impossible to beat.

I satyed in a non smoking room on thr 26th floor. The bathroom slthough clean, was not of a good finish. The bed was comfortable. The noise made by the housekeeping staff every morning was loud and disruptive. Banging the doors of the room when they go in and out continuously back and forth from the room to their cleaning cart in the hallway. I had to tell the young man to stop banging the doors as this was disturbing me. It took a while to explain as he didn't speak English and neither do I speak indonesian. He stopped for the remainder of that morning but continued to make noise the following days. The hotel advertises a gym and pool bar but these do not exist. The pool in fact only had 1 sunlonger and was not well maintained until the unexpected arrival of a diverted plane full of guests during my stay. Only When the Air Asia guests arrived did the hotel clean the pool area. It seems that the hotel staff became attentive to their guests needs only when the air Asia flight guests arrived which is disappointing. There are very few staff that speak fluent and understand English. This can be frustrating. Breakfast was disappointing. Only western option is eggs or fruit.

First we wanted to join the special recommended BBQ night at the pool area, but it was closed because of a party, this can happen. Then we went to the 7th floor in the restaurant for having dinner. They had only 1 menu card, we couldn't get a second one... Half of the offered food was not available or took to long to prepare. My chicken wings were with rubber skin, the steak was ok. Then we wanted the bill on the room, it was not possible, even we checked in and paid with our credit card. I talked to the reception, they refused to write our dinner on the room. Incredible for this "socalled" high class hotel with such good comments in tripadvisor. The room is ok, but the aircon is really loud. Also the staff is really notgood trained and their English is quite bad. All in all we are quite disappointed with that hotel, even the price was quite cheap...

We stayed in this hotel when our plane was diverted on way to Bali because of volcano shutting down Denpasar airport. The book in was as one would imagine as 160 passengers booking in all together. However chaotic as it was the small staff at 1am in morning handled the huge task reasonably well although it took some time. We stayed in the hotel for two nights and was pleasantly surprised at the Quality of the rooms. They were a nice size and clean and tidy. Aircon was good and quiet, bathroom clean and tidy with plenty hot water and good pressure. Breakfast was very good with a good choice although because of number of passengers service for eggs etc was quite slow but what the heck good food just the same. Dining room huge and well layedout and clean. The staff did a magnificent job under duress and I would like to thank them on behalf of all passengers. Also Air Asia did a great job under difficult conditions in organising all passengers accomodation in a short time. The airline paid for all accomodation and all meals while we were there. Not much doing in Surabaya for tourist but because of circumstances didn't get time to explore much. Hotel worth staying at if you do go to Surabaya .

36 floor hotel, good location neat airport, easy access to the city center by toll. the staff so friendly and quite response. the room quite perfect. but this hotel only have 2 lift, so bore to waiting, specially when the full occupancy. the breakfast so standart and the taste just quite standart, the restaurant staff dont pay attention to the food, sample when the porridge getting hard they just leftvit. same like a 2 stara hotel. hope they will fix all of this matter soon
