The service was excellent, the breakfast was top notch, and the room was dated but comfortable. I was pleased to find that the refrigerator had a freezer and what freezer packs I had that wouldn't fit, the staff let me put them in the office freezer overnight. My only criticism would be that they need to update their technology, and put in more usb ports for phones, watches, iPads, etc.
Stayed here twice this summer. Very pleasant helpful front desk staff. Clean rooms, comfy beds. Lots of choice at breakfast. I stayed at several of these 4-storey chain hotels across the Canadian prairies over the past four months and this was by far the best. Convenient - right off the #1 Highway.
Excellent hotel, rooms were clean, Staff were welcoming and friendly, the beds were very comfortable and it included breakfast the next day.. Easy to find as its off the highway in Moose Jaw. Will stay here again the next time I travel to Manitoba.
Clean rooms , friendly hard working staff, good variety for breakfast and the staff keep everything stocked and clean. Fabulous free 24hr coffee machine in the lobby , it even makes hot chocolate! Right by the moose and visitor centre. Tim Hortons and McDonald's is very close.
Family road trip, spent 1 night at hotel. Friendly staff, excellent breakfast and clean working pool.
We enjoyed the spacious room with amazing beds during our visit to this hotel! The complementary water provided the hydration required on a hot June weekend!
We always stay at Best Western for the amenities and customer service. The free Breakfast is always amazing
On one particular night, the manager was extremely rude and should rethink his actions as over half the rooms in the hotel were booked by the same club. We had asked to use the breakfast room for a team meal, and were given plates to use, we ran out and grabbed ten more paper plates and were then accused of stealing and were threatened with a $1000 dollar fine. We weren't aware we were doing anything wrong, so the situation could have been dealt with in a much more professional and reasonable way. We attempted to make it right on many occasions and were continually met with rudeness. In a competitive hospitality marker your manager should be more trained. Understandable that they need to make difficult decisions but this manager went over the top over something that was a misunderstanding. Because of this our twelve players and their families and also the other 36 player's and families that were also in the hotel from the same club will be looking else's were in future stays in Moose Jaw for our sport and many other sports their involved with.
Room was clean, staff friendly and helpful. Healthy breakfast options. It is kind of a pain to have to put the card on your door if you wish your room to be made up. I forgot twice during our 4 day stay. That was a bit disapointing, but other than that no other issues.
A quick overnight stay in Moose Jaw on our way across Canada. BW Moose Jaw surpassed our expectations with a pet friendly, 2 double bed, kitchenette room. Great stay & very quiet.
When I checked in I asked to have a late checkout by 30 minutes because I had only stopped in town to do the tunnels of Moose Jaw tour. The only time from 10-11. I wanted to check out at 11:30. The night staff told me to check with the day staff. I drove all day from 9 am to 9 pm thru a snow storm and I was told can't help you. Check back at 6-7 in the am. I was beat. But I got up and checked with day shift as I was asked. But day shift supervisor told me I can't give you an answer I have to check with the cleaning manager. I'll get back to you. I went an had my breakfast. I went to the pool. I had my wife check. Same answer. Advised staff only asking for 30 minutes. Told can't help you. Finally we just said I need an answer and went to our tour. In the end we were gone by 11:15 am. And we will never go back to a best western. In addition I found the hallway was quite noisy. They have signs up all over the elevator and walls about noise. So they must have some issues. The staff ruined my staff. I am not sure if it was incompetence or power trip but I won't be back.
The front desk staff were very inviting and made check in FUN! The coffee/tea service in the lobby had an excellent variety. Breakfast selection was better than many hotels. The room was spacious and clean. Beds were comfortable! Totally Excellent stay!!
Booked a room for 3 over the phone. Have us 1 king bed on arrival. Paid almost 200$ slept on a f$&king cot.
Our group of 16 stayed here for a quick get away and were so pleased with this hotel. Clean, comfortable, all of our children loved the complimentary hot chocolate (which they served themselves) and delicious cookies at the front desk. The slide, Pool, hot tub were throughly enjoyed by all. Rooms were very spacious and clean. Breakfast was awesome, abundant. Would definitely choose this hotel again if going to Moose Jaw. Keep up the good reputation Best Western Management!
Room was clean and hotel was pretty quiet. Full breakfast. Kids loved the water slide. If you forget toiletries they do not have any on hand to purchase. So don't forget anything. Would totally recommend this hotel to stay at.
I am very inpressed by the staff how friendly and kindvthey all are .the go beyond my expectations. The hotel is very clean ,the room are very spacious, clean .Beds are very comfortable .The hottub is great .The breakfast is really good .lots of variety .The hotel is quiet. The room rates are good
Great customer service, comfy beds, and clean rooms. Hot breakfast with many cold varieties as well. The pool was warm and nice sized hottub. Loved staying here, will stay again! Very affordable and friendly staff.
Our stay was for medical purposes this time. The property is conveniently located to the Hospital, Restaurants, and Shopping. Entry to and from hotel convenient as lots of room to manuover vehicle with someone who was disabled. Front Desk Staff friendly and helpful. Other staff ( housekeeping, maintenance) mindful of needs of the guests. Breakfast Lady was friendly , helpful and kept the Breakfast room neat and tidy. Lots of food to chose from. We will stay here again.
Next time I go to Moose Jaw I will definitely stay at Best Western again! Hotel was clean, pool area was clean, great breakfast, rooms clean and beds were very comfortable. Probably one of my best hotel experiences. Staff was excellent! Friendly and courteous service!
Very clean, great breakfast selections, nice heated pool (waterslide). Awesome staff, friendly and helpful. Although close to highway, room was very quiet. Good selection of restaurants and shopping near hotel.
Stayed 2 nights. Very friendly staff. Great room with comfortable bed and pillows. Good internet. 24/7 coffee/tea/hot chocolate Breakfast. Plenty of seats to sit and chat. Free parking. Walking distance to restaurants.
Travelling home from Calgary, I usually stay in Swift Current at a well-known competitor's facility. Thought that I would try a Best Western in Moose Jaw and quickly realized that I didn't know what I was missing. This place was great!
Booked this hotel for the pool. Stayed here before and the pool was good. This time pool out of use long-term due to roof repairs. This information was not revealed during the booking process - I know it was listed in some long page of text that no-one's likely to read but it was not front and centre as it should have been. Paid extra in the end to use downtown pool but not the same and my daughter was super-disappointed. Beware if you are looking for particular facilities at this hotel and read all the small print before booking.
Chose this hotel over 3 others near by due to it having a pool and slide. When I chose the room, 4 days prior, it advertised working pool, hot tub, and slide, when I got there I was informed that they were all out of service. Upon further inquiry, I was informed they were out for the entire month for routine maintenance, thus they were not in service when I had made the reservation and asked about them. The sign also implied that they were out short term on the door, but according to employees were definitely out for the month. Requested to cancel my reservation but was informed i could not, after driving 17 hours, my kids really wanted to swim especially since we were tenting the next 16 nights. I almost ate the cost and went to the hotel next door, but by the time all of my discussions were complete it was 9pm and too late for a change. Highly disappointed.
After the No cancellation booking was made I found that the Pool, water slide snd hot tub were all closed and this was the reason to pick this motel Construction in the room above us woke us up at 7:00 am. We were not advised that there would be construction above our room. This was not acceptable for a business that takes your money to give you a clean safe and quiet place to sleep. The room was booked ahead of time for four people to find three towels in the room. The room was very clean and comfortable and the staff were kind and tried to be helpful. I was discounted $20 because the pool was closed which wasn't quite enough to make up for it. We were taking our daughter snd granddaughter swimming for part of the family vacation.
Clean, comfortable, caring staff. Ease of booking, great communication prior to arriving. Easy check in, clean spacious property. I felt safe and cared about. I travel a lot for work, and best western is always my favourite.
Decent enough spot for a night. Had no issues, room was clean and bed was good for a night. Not sure on multi-night stays, but for a quick stop over, this did the job. Would stop for a short stay again.
We desperately needed a room after a bad experience at another hotel. The front desk staff was extremely helpful and very pleasant. We will definitely stay there again. The hotel was easy to get to, clean, and my husband says they have the best waffles that he's ever had.
The room was the standard BW room. It was spacious enough for a couple, but wouldn't expect more than two people to stay here. The room was bright, clean with a decent sized bathroom. In room coffee and fridge was great. Parking wasn't a problem and Boston Pizza will deliver quickly as they are just down the road.
We had a great stay at this hotel. Friendly staff, clean accommodations, amazing breakfast which included fresh fruit eggs, hashbrowns, sausages, hard boiled eggs, cereals, yogurt, pancakes, waffles, an assortment of breads and bagels, English muffins; everything a person could want for breakfast! It was also located across the street from McDonald's, Tim Hortons, and W. As well it was a five minute drive to the tunnels of Moose jaw.
The staff was so friendly. The hotel is new as well. In an area with lots of businesses . Breakfast was a big variety and they have dairy/gluten free items available upon request. Rooms for clean and beds very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.
We enjoyed our stay, from the pool and hot tub to the hot and cold breakfast included it was a great stay. The facilities were clean and well maintained. Customer service was friendly and prompt. Would recommend
We enjoyed our two night stay-would definitely stay here again-the breakfast was tasty and everything is clean and inviting! The beds are fantastic and our sleep was amazing!! Didn't get a chance to try out the pool but it looked inviting
My Wife and I arrived late in the evening and were greeted promptly and professionally. We got exactly what we asked for. The room was clean, nicely decorated, everything worked perfectly and it was quiet. In the morning the breakfast was very inviting and fresh. We were on our way happy that we "discovered" this quality home away from home. We would go out of our way to stay here again.
This Best Western is fairly new and the rooms, breakfast and accommodating staff were excellent after a long day of travelling. The cleanliness of the whole place was very pleasing. The friendliness of the front desk staff was also very nice
I stayed two nights. Everything was excellent. The staff members were friendly. The hot breakfast was delicious. The room was clean and quite large. I highly recommend this hotel when you are in Moose Jaw.
Overnighted here and the experience was great. Front desk staff were the best, good humor, very friendly and welcoming. Housekeeping does a great job and goes the extra mile Forgot some personal property and called the hotel an hour after check out. They immediately went to the room and secured my property. Great service
Internet is garbage. Pretty standard for hotels. My room was not cleaned properly. Someone elses dirty socks left behind a door, and a "toy" left behind the jacuzzi. As a result, I did not enjoy my room like I would have. Also the bedding wasnt changed, as there were orange (doritos?) finger and hand marks on the blanket.
This hotel has the friendliest and most accommodating staff. Rooms were very clean, and very spacious, which is super important for our family of 6. We were not cramped at all and fit comfortably. Pool and waterslide were great for our kids and the breakfast was amazing!
Outstanding! Very nice hotel.. Professional and friendly staff. Good breakfast. I always stay here when on a business trip in Moose Jaw. The rooms and installation is clean. Staff work hard to keep everything running . I would stay again ...
We stayed while my kids were in town for a sporting event. Hotel was great, staff was super friendly, the breakfast were really good with lots of variety. The beds/pillows were a little uncomfortable but I am fairly picky.
Broken light in the living room, they covered it with a plastic bag so no light too dark in the room. No extra pillows. Breakfast is ggo but very limited. The staff are accommodating and good. Thank u
This is a great hotel just off the Trans-Canada highway on the north-east side of Moose Jaw. The building is nicely designed and well-cared for. There is ample parking in a well-lit lot just outside the front door. The lobby and rooms are very nice. We found the front desk staff to be friendly and helpful, so check-in and checkout went smoothly and quickly. Breakfast was good. I made a breakfast sandwich out of the ingredients available and it tasted better than the one I had down the street at the fast food restaurant. Perhaps the best thing about our stay was that they offered us a complimentary room upgrade as part of the Best Western rewards program. The two-room jacuzzi sure made out night in Moose Jaw especially enjoyable.
We were travelling to Regina , ( so we thought), on the night of November 16th. We were coming from Banff and with snow and very high winds we could not see the highway by the time we got to Moose Jaw. We were very fortunate to get off the highway and find the Best Western Plus. In fact we got off the highway knowing we were about 200 metres away but we could not see this place in the high wind and blowing snow and had to use gps to get there. Anyway, that worked and we were able to book a room. The staff were so welcoming and accommodating, ( no pun intended!), based on our circumstances and our need to stay over until the weather became more settled!! They gave us a CAA discount which was valid but we were not thinking of such things by this point of the day. They even gave us a corkscrew, which we didn't have, so we could have a glass of wine after a harrowing trip that day. They asked if we had pets and had arrangements to allow them, and breakfast the nest morning was really good with scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, fried potatoes, fruit, etc. You get the idea!! Anyway, we were so appreciative of the kindness of their staff, the cleanliness and many features of their rooms and the pride they took in looking after their guests. We would definitely stay there again but maybe next time it won't be in the midst of a major storm!! Thanks again for finding a place for us during a difficult situation. Rating for that night would be 6 stars out of 5!
The only reason for .1 star taken off was because we wanted to go out drinking and since we're new to the area we had to try and find someone that would be willing to drive us around because it's too far to walk to night clubs.
We were happy with the room, breakfast and service. The room was excellent.Really pleased with the set up and the breakfast just great. Great variety with the buffet ,both hot and cold. Location easy to find,
Great place to stay. Comfortable room and more importantly comfortable bed. Room and bathroom very clean. Very good breakfast selection. Very friendly greeting by front desk manager. Close to highway but no notable noise.
It was thanksgiving day and we had been driving all day as we are on a cross country road trip from Nova Scotia to Calgary. We saw the sign ‘Moose Jaw - The friendly City' and thought yeah let's pull over and stay in a hotel for the evening as it was getting dark. We stopped at the Best Western first, and because we didn't have a major credit card they refused to let us stay, I offered a cash refundable deposit as we have been doing in all the hotels we've stayed thus far. The agent expressed they only allow a cash deposit on special occasions and needed approval from a manager. The agent didn't even really try to get in touch with anyone so we could just get a room and relax for the evening, we were simply denied. It's kind of ironic, our very first interaction with anyone in the friendly city, was not so friendly. Not sure if having darker skin and tattoos had anything to do with it, but we were snubbed off in a way we've never been treated before. Just go next door to the Quality Inn & Suits, Michael will get you settled in a room without issue!
I was working on a long-term project near Moose Jaw for a few months and needed to stay in a hotel for 5 days at a stretch. I wasn't always able to book this hotel each time I was in the city for work but when I could book it I could. There was another hotel across the parking lot that was terribly rough and noisy. This hotel was nice and quiet. The staff are friendly and helpful. People have mentioned breakfast and it is worth mentioning again in the context of someone who has to eat it many mornings in a row. First of all, there is a lot of variety in choices. Second, they do switch up one or more options in the hot choices from time to time. Once a person is at work, who knows if there will be lunch so it is important to start with a good breakfast. When I got back to the hotel I really appreciated the pool, hot tub and gym. There was a good selection of gym equipment. Everything was in good working condition and clean. I also appreciated having the kitchenette. That is another good touch for those who have to stay at the hotel for a longer stretch. After the first stay, I brought a few extra microwave dishes and storage containers for the fridge. While there are some supplies in the kitchenette, they are pretty basic. Not too many hotels have much more than what was supplied. At any rate, I would recommend this to any longer-term business traveller.
Hey! This was a great stay! The room was clean and spacious. The bed was comfy and firm. The room was quiet and reasonable. And the breakfast was great! Not much more you can ask from a hotel. I would stay again. In fact, I will stay again next trip out that way. Well done!
Once again over exceeded my expectations. They did everything they could to supply 2rooms for us! End of busy day it was so good to be met with excellent check in staff! Rooms were just perfect to unwind in. Breakfast superb, fresh, and well presented. Checkout excellently done, making sure if there was anything that needed attention to. Coming back, absolutely!
we came to Moose Jaw to visit the tunnels, the hotel was not to far away from it . Every employee was very friendly and helpful. The room was great and the beds very comfy. The breakfast was excellent with lots of choices
The best breakfast I've ever had at a hotel! The location was perfect as it was near the hospital. There was lots of parking. The staff were very cordial and efficient. The room was clean and the bed was comfy!
Great room , service and breakfast has plenty of options to choose from got free upgrade on room which was unexpected but very nice touch. Check in and check out was flawless and cleanliness of rooms and hotel was superb
This stop was incredibly relaxing for our family. The water slide and pool area was well maintained and clean. The rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable. The breakfast had great options for my whole family. Staff were all pleasant and friendly. Highly recommend!
Stayed at the BW Moosejaw with kids while on vacation.Very clean, good breakfast buffet, friendly staff. Pool with water slide was nice touch especially with having two kids. Would stay here again ! Good location right off highway 1.
This is a hotel that offers outstanding value. The rooms are very clean and the staff is very pleasant. The beds are very comfortable too. It's conveniently located just off #1 highway and it's close to everthing. I would strongly recommend this property.
We had the best night of our entire road trip at this hotel. It sure did help that when we signed in that the front desk person informed us that we received a room upgrade. This made a great experience even better. The upgraded room was beyond our expectations. Having two separate rooms, with a jacuzzi was more than what we could ask for. The bed was better than what we had at home. This hotel is a newer Best Western Plus, so all the facilities and amenities are quite new. Definitely, we will make it point to somehow find our way through Moose Jaw so we can stay here again.
The room was nice and big, the tv did not work, the plugins around the bed did not work. It was really noisy in the hallways at night lots of slamming doors and kids (teenagers) yelling in the halls until about 12. I know that it's reduced staff but clean towels would be nice. There were bags in the room that they asked you to place your garbage in and leave in the hallway, same with your linens. The pool was nice on the first day, but the second it was dirty, the water was milky looking and the bottom was gritty. The front desk clerk ( girl ) extremely rude, I got the sense she did not want to be there. My bill was wrong and she basically called me stupid. I reported it to my credit card company as it was a double charge and they agreed with me. I tried to explain it to the front girl but she just kept rolling her eyes at me.
The room was very clean. The hotel is well-built and quiet. Due to previous engagements we did not take advantage of the complimentary breakfast but it was well received by other guests. I am somewhat disabled and parking was a breeze and close.
We loved our staff here in Moose Jaw. Staff were super friendly and my kids loved the pool. Breakfast area was clean. Rooms very clean. Pool area was also clean and stocked with pool towels. Highly recommend for families travelling with children.
Hotel was a great stop for our trip to Alberta. Staff very helpful. Breakfast was great and a good verity of choices The kids enjoyed the pool and the waterslide. Room was very clean and comfortable beds.
We had a girls weekend to Moose Jaw and choose the Best Western Plus. It was a excellent choice! Nice hotel, great comfortable rooms, extremely friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast that is offered daily is fantastic, everything you can think of. Great location just of the highway.
The hotel was extremely clean and well kept. It is conveniently located near the Trans Canada Highway. There is plenty of parking, a well maintained pool area with waterslide. The breakfast had a variety of items to appeal to all tastes
Our family enjoyed our stay so much that we are already making plans for our next stay. Beds were comfortable, kids enjoyed the pool and breakfast was delicious. The hotel was very clean, this includes common areas and our room. Check in and out was completed efficiently and they answered all our questions very thoughtfully and kindly. We all would recommend this hotel to others.
A great spot for a good sleep after a long drive. Very comfy beds and whole building is well-maintained. A good pool area with a waterslide to keep the kids happy. Great breakfast. Loved the hash browns, Highly recommended for a stopover or a weekend away with the kids.
I stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed my stay. The staff were friendly and co-operative. Breakfast was decent and location in Moose Jaw is really good. No issues observed during the stay, Would definitely recommend!!!
Stayed here for my daughters 9th birthday the kids loved the pool and the waterslide, staff was great to deal with. Breakfast had a huge variety and was really good. Location is nice to access. Will definitely be staying here again in the future
From the staff at the front desk, clean big room, free breakfast with lots of choices, everything about this hotel is great. It's located just off the highway for quick access. We were very impressed with this hotel after staying at a number of other places on our cross country trip.
The rooms were nice and clean and the breakfast was so much better than the to go bags we've been given at other hotels. The big disappointment was the exercise room. No free weights, and the weight machine they had was out of service. Other exercise equipment was poorly maintained.
Breakfast was offered just like before covid with hot options, tables to sit at and great coffee. Bed was very comfortable, room was clean. Check in was fast and friendly. Good value for money. Convenient location.
The hotel was very nice, clean rooms, and the staff was siecually helpful. Breakfast was very good. My only issue was that the internet kept dropping. It was fine during the day, and early eve was hard to stay connected (likely due to lots of guests connecting).
We enjoyed our stay. The hotel was clean and fresh. The staff were helpful and friendly The pool was great for the kids. There were many other things to do as well right in Moose Jaw. Unique city with lots of character.
Rooms were very clean and up to date. Staff were excellent. Even know I was not part of the hockey group I felt I was not the odd man out. Great stay and would recommend it to anyone passing through or for an extended stay.
Well maintained hotel in a great location. Tons of restaurants and stores close by. Check in was quick even though I arrived early, and the staff were friendly and my room was ready. Toni is the manager there and she was wonderful and accommodating. The breakfast included with my stay was a nice addition and took the stress out of finding a place to eat in the mornings. The bed was comfortable and the hotel was quiet at night. Very satisfied with this stay and would definitely return to this hotel.
This Best Western exceeded our expectations ! Toni took amazing care of us and surprised us with the best suite in the hotel. So clean and well maintained and the staff was extraordinarily professional and kind, and the complimentary breakfast was one of the best stocked, variety, and hours (5am to 10am) that I've ever experienced in recent times. We were given an excellent deal on the room rate, nothing else could come close to the price we paid. We came to visit Moose Jaw in -30 C weather and we didn't mind one bit :). It was an absolute pleasure to stay at this hotel and we will definitely be hitting up this option first, over the Moose Jaw spa, for any future visits. That's the kind of impact this place had on us !
It was lovely for 2 days, easy check in, clean, o.k. breakfast and lovely pool then the hockey team came in. Unsupervised 10 year olds running up and down the hallways, when asked to be quiet by another guest they mouthed off at him and kept on. The desk was contacted by more then ourselves and eventually someone, we don't know who, but thankgoodness came and put their foot down and it was quiet. Sad that these hockey teams do not have supervision and are allowed to perform like this. More the teams fault then the hotels however it made for an unpleasant stay.
This hotel is conveniently close to the #1 highway. The hotel was clean and everything was working properly. The breakfast was adequate to allow us to eat and get on the road. Their are a couple of restaurants within walking distance. We will stay here again. We stay at a lot of Best Western hotels.
I only gave a 1 because 0 wasn't an option. I recommend asking if any hockey teams are staying. If yes, book at a different hotel. Worst experience ever, at any hotel stay, I've ever had. Absolute disrespect and disregard for other guests staying at this hotel. Will never stay here again. BEWARE. Also, the pool. They advertise that the pool is heated, it is definitely NOT. Very cold and the hot tub was out of order. An all around disappointment.
Travelled to Moose Jaw for hockey. Staff was very accommodating, hotel was great. Only issue I had was the placement of the team. If they didn't scatter the team around the hotel, a placed us all in one half, there would be less complaining from other guests. The kids like to have fun in the evening(as do the adults) but with being mixed in with workers and travellers it wasn't acceptable.
Staff were excellent, polite and answered all questions. Rooms super clean, internet easy to access and price is reasonable. Close to Hwy 1 and in a quiet location. Ample parking for all sizes of vehicles.
The staff at this hotel went beyond expectations for our hockey team's stay. They made us feel at home away from home. They accommodated our team's schedule with no questions. They provided amazing service to our team and it played a great part in our team's success at the tournament.
After 4 days on the road we opted for the Best Western in Moose Jaw, mostly because of the pool and hot tub. The hotel is modem, clean and comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. Complimentary breakfast was complete. Would definitely use this hotel again.
Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, typical complimentary breakfast, washers and dryers, friendly staff, excellent housekeeping, pool with waterslide and hot tub, fitness room, rooms are a bit dated but satisfactory.
The hotel was very clean, we enjoyed the pool area and hot tub was nice and warm. I really liked how spacious and clean the rooms were. As well, one of the best hotel breakfast we have had. Only downside was not very friendly staff at check in. A not so friendly older lady checked us in with no smile or welcome and no info on hotel as to when breakfast is served or info on or which way pool. Worst check in we have experienced but the rest of hotel staff was good and hotel itself was great!
While staying at this hotel on the ground floor with access door to outside we (4 women) were woken up at 3:30 am to someone trying to break into the room. They obviously had a key to the room. Luckily we had the lever across the door as he had his hand in the crack of the door trying to get the lever off the door. The girl at the front desk the next morning was very accommodating and moved us to a room on the top floor. I never received a call from the hotel manager and had to call myself. He wasn't apologetic nor did he have any customer service skills at all. He blamed the fact that we didn't have the door closed and basically we were lying and that it never happened. Very dangerous place to stay if you are a women alone.
The hotel is perfectly placed to take the many Moose Jaw tours. Very friendly staff and neat, clean hotel. Hot breakfast was awesome!! Location easy to find, with McDonald's and Tim Horton's within easy walking distance. Pictures with “Mac the Moose” just steps away.
After a two week trip of hotels/restaurants. WHAT A TREAT! The staff were all wonderful. From check in to check out everyone in that hotel were a joy to be around. The check in person at 11:00pm (we were late arrival) was helpful and energetic. She made a long drive seem like we were home. The next morning we had breakfast, people were courteous, and the food was good. The person made sure everything was stocked and warm. We went to the pool, the kids had a quick swim. Love the slide and the option to turn on when needed. Perfect for not having a lifeguard on duty. One of children feel at the pool, the staff gave an ice pack and made sure she was okay. Check out was simple. The cleaning staff... OMG - two weeks of hotels and finally some great cleaning! They were wiping doors, handles, etc. Thank you for a great stay - I will be sticking with the Best Western Plus Hotels.
Easy access from the highway, but it's on the extreme edge of the city, not much around it. Newer hotel, clean rooms. Breakfast was fantastic, and the kids enjoyed the waterslide. I found the COVID protocols lacking. Local rules are currently maskless, but the signs in the lobby seem to imply some rules are still in effect. Some staff wear masks, some don't. Would be nice if they found a way to better spread out the breakfast dining area, it's hard to distance in there. Pool water was super cloudy. I appreciate how the staff went out of their way to offer towel refreshes and garbage collection on a multi-day stay.
Great stay in a friendly, clean hotel. Great rooms and breakfast and wonderful staff. Beds were very comfortable and lots of choices in the breakfast. Front desk staff were great to deal with and went above and beyond to assist us.
A great little hotel, with a fantastic breakfast selection of hot & cold foods, fresh fruit, yogurts & cereal. Friendly, helpful staff. We have actually already recommended this hotel to family & friends that travel.
Clean room! Pool was very crowded, but with everyone travelling now with lower restrictions, that is a to be expected. Good hot breakfast selection, like Best Western Plus always has. We always stay here when travelling through Moose Jaw.
Best place I have stayed in for a very long time, it was spotlessly clean and staff went above and beyond to be helpful. Great location close to highway and Tim Hortons, and close to all amenities, Walmart, restaurants and grocery stores, you would not have to go into the city if you were just passing through, plus there is a water slide for the kids
After flying across the country. Attending business meeting in Regina, driving to Moose Jaw to check in here I am told the pool and hot tub are not available. This being the only reason I choose this hotel as there are others right by I can actually see from the parking lot. There is absolutely NO mention of this on their own website - lady says “oh well we reported it days ago”. It's your own website so takes minutes to change so other possible clients aren't mislead believe the amenities advertised are actually available when they in fact are not. At bare minimum this is misrepresentation. I was offered free cancellation - that does not even address the misrepresentation let alone trying to find, book and go to another hotel after 5pm is beyond an inconvenience to put it lightly especially after driving at 4am to the airport and travelling half the day. “Sorry about that” from a naive young front desk guy does not cut it. If amenities have been removed then some kind of offer should be made to reconcile this inconvenience even if just $20 off the $200 room? Why am I or any other guess paying full price when full hotel amenities are not available? A sorry doesn't suffice. Beware or call first to ensure you get what you paid for because I certainly did not.
This is a great and very busy hotel. The hotel was fully booked so breakfast room was packed It is just a small room so earlier is a better time to go down. Our room has a fridge and 2 burner stovetop but no dishes or pots.
I don't always make reservations when I Travel because they lead to expectations. Best Western Plus MJ was more of a Less than Plus. Do not sign up for the travel rewards or express checkout it appears they tax you on the back end
My family enjoyed this nice and clean hotel. As with most newer Best Westerns, it is well kept and reasonably spacious. Location is convenient for travellers and downtown is not far either. The pool area is good and the waterslide is a nice touch. The breakfast offerings are so-so. I did like the room generally but I found the bed a bit stiff. Service was pleasant and this hotel provides good value overall.
We absolutely love staying at Best Western Hotels and the one in Moose Jaw has a great location, great breakfast, great waterslide for the kids and comfortable beds!! We would stay there again next time we are in Saskatchewan for sure!
This hotel is located in the NE part of Moose Jaw. It is very easily accessed off of Highway 1, and easy to get to from other areas of Moose Jaw. All the staff were extremely friendly, polite, and helpful. Unfortunately, this location only has 2 pet friendly rooms. They get booked well into the future.
Booked online at Bestwestern.com website searching for a pet friendly hotel. Their website indicates this one is pet friendly. Drove ten hours to hotel with a confirmed reservation and then was told at the desk that they didn't have any pet friendly rooms available and that it was my fault because I should have called the hotel directly. Seems that's not the policy of the other five Best Western's that I have stayed at recently because I never had a problem at any of them!! Oh but they did offer to cancel my reservation. If this is not a pet friendly hotel make that very clear at the top of the page. Very disappointed with BW definitely going to take my business to their competition.
Just make sure your credit card has enough balance on it for the room and deposit, they wont accept cash or debt for deposit and have no problem canceling your reservation on you. Don't end up like me getting turned away. Comfort inn takes cash or debt for deposit.
I enjoyed my stay there. I Found the rooms very clean and comfortable. In light of Covid the breakfast was satisfactory. The staff was also friendly and efficient. I have really nothing negative to say.
This was our first time staying at a Best Western hotel. We found the rooms to be very comfortable and quiet, despite being located near the highway. The hand rails on the shower were very much appreciated as a safety feature. However, we found the toilets to be quite low and a bit of a challenge for seniors.
Very good protocols in place to mitigate COVID risk. Appreciated the mask requirement indoors, and the measures they had in place. BW has always met my expectations in the past, and amid this pandemic they continued to.
I paid almost $50 extra for Best Western usual hospitality over other branded hotels in Moose Jaw. Upon checking in with a rather rude front desk employee, I was informed the gym and pool were closed due to virus. And then hot breakfast replaced with a snack of granola bar, water and apple. I am a Platinum BW customer, but after this experience I strictly went for Holiday Inn, Marriott and Hilton for remainder of my trip. Much cheaper and fully opened with hot breakfast. Also beds were hard.
great place to stay while visiting MJ. Housekeeping was efficient, great location and super comfy beds. Would stay again for sure. Breakfast was good, waffles, pancakes, egg options. Fitness room was sufficient.
1st time to this property and was pleasantly surprised! Room was large with a comfortable bed! Bathroom was big...large shower but no tub. It was nice and quiet! Breakfast was a disappointment but that's getting to be a norm with all hotels. I would return.
I always enjoy staying at a Best Western as they're fairly consistent and I know what I'm getting. What I would like to address here though is their Rewards Program. Every time I check into a Best Western I am made to feel very special. They let me know they appreciate my business. There's just not enough of that out there today. Plus they'll upgrade me when they can - without me even asking! The points don't expire and you can use them for free nights, merchandise, gift cards and a few other options. I don't often plug corporations but Best Western really knows how to keep their customers.
Overall pretty good stay - pool was super strong chlorine smell, it burned my eyes. Dirty q-tips, Kleenex and someone else's store receipt under the bed. Breakfast room ran out of pancake batter, coffee machine wasn't working and English muffins were old and dry. On the plus side - staff was very friendly, good selection for breakfast, nice rooms.
My room faced the highway which allowed me to hear highway traffic all night. The temp was way to hot. 25 degrees in the room. 31 degrees in the breakfast room. Other than the temp issue i was pleased with my stay.
the Moose Jaw SK property went above and beyond other Best Western properties, from offering me a free upgrade, to pin pointing a marvelous dinner option. the staff here as well as the property was extremely comfortable
Service, room cleanliness and the free breakfast were all great. The pool was crazy loud and we couldn't hear each-other talk. Our kids didn't really enjoy it because it was so loud and chaotic in there. They need to put some sort of noise cancelling wall and ceiling panels in the pool area. We could also hear the neighbors on top of us jumping off the beds or playing rugby or something. The sheets on the bed were not soft either, like rough. I'm not sure if we will go back.
always look forward staying here when we go to Moose Jaw. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are grand and clean. Breakfast is of choice and hot. Convenient distance to all shopping amenities and tourist attractions
We were attending a family fun function and needed a place to stay. Best Western is our #1 choice because they are always clean, breakfast never fails you. Great friendly stay. Hotel was in a good location
I wont be back due to your front desk staff and their terrible attempt at "customer service". I've done the job, it's not that hard. Also it was a fairly new build and the walls are paper thin. We could hear our neighbors shower everytime. Then their tub was dripping and we could hear it. You heard EVERY foot step in every room and hallway around you. I will NEVER stay at this location again!!
Hotel very clean and beds were comfortable. We were there for a brief overnight and on the highway again but it was great and the staff were very accommodating. Great location just off highway for what we were needing as we were pulling a trailer.
Always a great place to stay Rates are a bit on the high side but the free soup and wonderful breskfast and kind staff kind of makes up.almost. Perhaps a better rate as another B W is 15.00 less.but at least therr is no extras added on.
Great hotel. Has waterslide for kids. We had a king Suite, with living space with pullout couch. Decent rates, lots of space and modern clean room. Friendly and helpful staff. Waterslide is great, but exits into the pool which is smaller. So if people are using the slide there isn't a lot of space to swim. Great breakfast selections. Overall would stay there again for sure.
The staff was friendly, easy access off the highway , Nice and clean room. Enjoyed a very relaxing sleep. Large vehicles can easily be parked on the street. good internet access. there is a slice with the pool
Hotel was nice very clean and comfortable, pool was great for the kids and the water slide was extremely fun and fast. Breakfast was good with lots of options and the staff were all great at front desk and breakfast.
Furnishings in the kitchenette units is excellent! Very well laid out, except for the two queen room had the fridge right by the door. You were always nervous someone would bang into you if they opened the room door while you were in the fridge. Pool isn't that big but was warm. Hot tub was nice and hot! Water slide was short but did the trick as you gained much speed by the end. Pool area needs some sound deadening material as with a dozen kids, it was quite noisy (too much noise to relax). Elevators need to be interlocked as you have go press the request button on each one. We had some issues with the a/c. Thermostat in the wall wouldn't control the unit. The a/c unit itself seemed to work ok on it's own (ambient air temp seemed to fluctuate on it). In our other room, the a/c unit made a bit of a racket for 30 seconds when it came to the end of each of its cooling cycles. I wouldn't plan a stay here, just for the pool but to use it as a hotel, it's fantastic. I'm sure they'll get these small issues worked out. The rooms were some of the best I've ever stayed at. At least 9' ceilings made them feel huge and the desks, kitchenette and everything else was well laid out. Beds were very comfortable and you couldn't hear a sound from anything outside your room. Front desk staff were always super polite and very helpful. Will stay here again for sure.
Hot soup was available 5-7pm. Coffee/tea machine available in lobby 24 hours Breakfast has more variety than any other I've experienced Pool is perfect temperature and for kids the waterslide is awesome My king suite had a jetted tub - soooo nice! Would stay here again in a heartbeat!
we recently stayed here on our way to Alberta. The room air conditioner was so loud and rumbly plus the noise from the highway. Before we even used the amenities or sat on the bed I called the front desk and asked if we could be moved to a different room. The clerk at the front desk told me the noise from the air conditioner was because of the wind and would be the same in any room and then said if I didn't want to be by the highway I should have staed that when booking and that there were no other rooms available. There were only 2 towels in a room that slept 4 and so I went to the front desk for 2 more. While at the front desk I heard someone asking to be switched rooms and the clerk said that she could switch him. He asked if there were any rooms with a bigger bathtub and she said "only our jacuzzi rooms and they are all sold out tonight" I got my towels and went to my room and went online to the hotel website and looked at availability for that night, there were jacuzzi rooms available and many other rooms so I didn't understand why I was told I couldn't be moved or the other gentleman could have been offered the room with the bigger tub, even at an upcharge. The hotel was clean, breakfast was aweome but I wasn't impressed with the customer service.
Room 420-A @ $150 Canadian including taxes. PROS: Newer Best Western, clean, comfortable bed, convenient location, windows that open, good breakfast, soup and muffins in evening. CONS: Desk clerk offered her unsolicited political opinion on the "death penalty" during conversation at check in which was offensive and didn't set a good tone for our stay (deducted on overall rating). Road noise through windows and light in room from under door and curtains.
Not sure what beds they use at BW but we had such a good sleep. We have spend the past 3 weeks traveling in Saskatchewan, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, and Alberta. Our stay at the BW in Moose Jaw was the one we will remember as our best experience.
This was my 3 year to stay here. The staff not only recognized me as a Diamond member but up graded me to the jacuzzi suit... Wow. This is an easy to get to location. Friendly staff and comfortable peaceful nights rest. I will see them next year when I come thru.
After travelling over 5 hours we were happy to be told there was complimentary soup on! Definitely nice after driving all day! The new trainee Kayden was professional and very helpful as we were trying to find out information on the tunnels. Check in was easy & fast and the breakfast in the morning was one of the best I've had. Would be nice if the pool opened earlier. Cons- please have fans available to be put in rooms. Other then that my stay was great!
We enjoyed our time at the BW Plus Moose Jaw. Amenities were excellent and the breakfast was very good. We had grandkids with us and they really enjoyed the pool and waterslide. Will definitely stay here again if we are in need of a hotel in Moose Jaw.
We stopped for the night to break up a trip to Manitoba. It's the perfect halfway point. We took the kids to the pool for a play and then settled into bed for the night. Breakfast was a good variety with good quality. We will be back!
The service was good and polite. Rooms were clean the I loved the bed. Breakfast they had lots of choices. It was easy access off of High way #1. Lost of parking. We had a great stay there we 5 ladies and no complaints.
wife and I stayed here and had a great time checking out the tunnels of moose jaw and we were very comfortable in our room at the best western rooms were clean and staff was great to deal with would definitely recommend staying here to any one
The room was great clean, roomy, smelt good could not ask for anything else ,loved this facility . Pool was great kids loved the slide & breakfast was outstanding ,could not ask for more plus the price was acceptable.. THANK You
Stayed overnight on our way to British Columbia. We were very impressed from the moment we arrived. Friendly staff clean rooms and reasonable rates. The free breakfast was one of the best we've had in a hotel. We would definitely stay there again.
When we arrived in Moose Jaw we were exhausted after traveling 10 hours. I had made the reservation online based on our arrival time. We were pleasantly surprised when we were greeted by friendly staff and clean hotel rooms. We were leaving early in the morning and had a very nice hot breakfast and coffee.
We visited the Museum location for Brickspo 2019. We have stayed in Best Western Plus locations before, so I chose to use the same for this trip. It was wonderful to have the COMPLIMENTARY HOT BREAKFAST option available for a little shorter availability time than the continental complimentary TIME FRAME. Loved it. Our only very small dilemma was there were no stir sticks in the room for coffee, so I went down to the lobby and got some there. The same for hot choc packages - as I am not a coffee drinker.
This hotel is great..super clean..great location..very friendly helpful staff. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel! Seemed like a high end luxury hotel but the price didn't reflect that Great immunities and great location.
The breakfast was very good they offered eggs bacon hashbrowns waffles pancakes fruit yoghurt cereal's coffee juice and they switched out the hot food each day we were there which was nice the pool was very busy in the evening as there is a lot of kids there The beds are very comfortable and the room was a fair size.
we were very tired when we checked in so were very happy that the staff were so efficient. the room was really beautiful and layout was great. beds were comfortable. location was near highway so convenient but didn't notice any highway noise. breakfast was great with lots of variety..even had hash browns with the eggs and bacon.
Well appointed room. Shower over bath. Decent car parking with breakfast included in price and soup available in the evening if you fancy it. Comfortable bed and quiet rooms. Obliging staff. Would happily stay again. Joining the Best Western Club (free of charge) gets you a slightly cheaper rate too.
Pre book as this hotel gets filled up fast. When we checked in there was a lineup of people trying to book a room for that evening and the next and could not get one. SOLD OUT There is a great water slide so we were expecting a lot of children but it was a very quiet hotel.
Probably one of the cleanest hotels I've stayed at. Everything was clean throughout the hotel! Very comfortable rooms- and a very nice pool area. The breakfast that they serve has lots of choices both hot and cold.
Amazing service and accessible. Lots of amenities around. Awesome breakfast. Friendly Staff would definitely recommend this hotel. Will definitely be staying here again. Also had a great pool for the kids.
This was our first stay at the Best Western in Moose Jaw. We were very happy with our stay. The staff whether front desk, kitchen or housekeeping were very pleasant and helpful. The buffet breakfast was one of the best we've had. We'd highly recommend staying here on your next visit to Moose Jaw
Very comfortable hotel. Appreciate staff that was so great considering we knew nothing about Moose Jaw. Thank the staff for us. Parking was ample and free. Would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Moose Jaw.
This hotel is well located, clean, quiet and comfortable. The lobby and staff are welcoming. Great place to sit in the lobby if you are waiting for family. The business center is convenient. Rooms are clean and comfortable and has most everything that you need. The wireless worked fabulous. Breakfast had a great selection and was clean and organized. Would highly recommend this hotel.
We had a great stay. We have 4 kids and the room we had was very comfortable for all six of us. Pool was good. Breakfast was excellent. Would definitely recommend the Best Western Plus in Moose Jaw to everyone.
We have stayed at the Best Western Plus in MooseJaw several times over this past months, It is at a great location, right off the highway, easy to get too. The peiople at the front desk are so accomodating, and the rooms are big and very clean, the beds are super comfortable, you get a good nights rest on them. We will definitly be back again .
Very comfortable beds insured a great night's sleep. It was busy with many families with children, so there was some noise. It was a weekend. But the insulation must be very good because it didn't affect our sleep.
Everything about staying here was more than pleasant! The front desk staff were friendly, speedy, responsive and professional. The hotel was very clean, modern and tastefully decorated. Breakfast was included - and was far more than expected!! Even complimentary, wrapped banana bread in the evening at the front desk. I also appreciated that the window opened to allow fresh air in. 5 mins to downtown.
We stayed for the first time at the Best Western Plus and were extremely happy with it! The staff was super friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay fantastic! Very clean rooms, great price, pool and the best continental breakfast we've ever had! Will be definitely making this our hotel of choice for Moose Jaw!!!
Great hotel, great quality, good location, friendly staff, very comfortable clean room......would recommend this hotel, stay on a cross Canada trip, by far the best hotel that we stayed in for the dollar
I spent a lot of time on the road (over 100 nights a year). Always look forward to the Best Western hotels. Their quality is over and above if I stay in Edmonton South, Moose Jaw or Winnipeg I don't think you will get a better room for the money.
The rooms are nice and spacious and quiet. The staff is friendly and efficient. Great hotel amenities like breakfast and a pool. Great for a weekend stay in Moose Jaw and although not centrally located, close enough to everything if you have a car
Comfortable room and quiet hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was provided and had a great selection of items! Complementary hot soup and munchies were provided in the evening until 7 PM, which was greatly appreciated!
We enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Plus in Moose Jaw, Sk. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was good. Easy location to access the hotel. We would stay at this hotel again. The only issue we had was the pool and hot tub could be warmer.
This hotel has a fabulous breakfast for no charge. It saved us quite a bit and was included in the stay. On the other hand we did have an issue with the pool where my suit was ruined due to high chlorine.
We were on our way for a visit of family in Calgary. Hotel is close to the #1 highway. There are gas stations and a good restaurant close by (in walking distance). The hotel room was clean, tidy, and everything was in working order. The staff did their job. The breakfast was good, in particular the small omelettes that were served rather than scrambled eggs. We will stay here again on a similar type of trip. We would recommend this hotel to others.
Stay very pleasant great stay very professional . Staff very helpful they looked after my needs as if I was family. Very clean well kept property. Breakfast was well prepared and kept full and fresh.I would highly recommend this hotel to all my friends and business associates.
The room in general was very clean and the bathroom had all the extra things you may need like shampoo, etc. The bed was comfortable. There were good options for breakfast. Checking in was nice and quick. The reception staff were very friendly.
I like this hotel fair price and very clean , last time i was there they had brownies and cookies and i was hungry after my trip and of course free coffee very thoughtful. The bedroomwas nice and clean and the bed comfy
This was a great hotel for the price with a pool with nice warm water however I found that the water slide could use more regular maintenance and would recommend the hotel re-seal the joints inside the water slide on a more frequent basis. The slide itself is well designed and a lot of fun to use given the amount of speed you are able to obtain by the time you reach the end. However nothing ruins a water slide experience more then when your back gets scraped by the exposed lips in the joints as you go down. It makes you grimace every time it scrapes your back and as a result I was only able to go down a couple times before I had to stop do to it being too uncomfortable. Which was disappointing as we were staying there as part of a "staycation" and the water slide was one of the main reasons we chose the Best Western over other hotels. If you're planning on going to this hotel with your family for the pool, specifically the water slide, I would check to see when the last time was they performed maintenance on the waterslide. If it's been more then 6 months to a year I would suggest trying a different hotel. That being said the rest of our experience was top notch, the service was great, the complimentary breakfast was stellar, not much for selection but I would take quality over quantity any day, and the room was very clean and spacious with modern amenities. The staff was very friendly and accommodating as well.
Nice hotel, clean and comfy rooms. Nice touch was the free soup and buns offered from 5-7pm, great after checking in on a cold evening. Breakfast was good with real bacon offered and the usual make yourself waffles, cereal, yougurt etc. and fruit offered was bananas, apples and oranges. Pool was on the smaller side but still adequate with water slide. Room temperature was good with no problems.
I have stayed at this hotel before and it wasn't bad. Never went to the pool but the rooms where good, and for the most part clean. The quality of the breakfast has definitely gone down hill since the last time I stayed which was unfortunate. But it's a nice location to just hit up McDonald's breakfast instead. I usually stay a best westerns and have stayed at better ones. The staff was friendly even for our late check in.
Its Hockey season - If you a expecting a quality rest and sleep in this hotel - forget it - go elsewhere - you wont get it here !! Called the hotel from desk from 11 PM to 1230 am about the noise and the night clerk ( prob 20 years old ) did not have the knowledge or capability to control the hockey mob of Brats carrying on in the hotel - I wanted to call the city police at 1 AM to get some quietness on the 3rd and 4th Floor / Filed a complaint with the hotel manager - wrote David Hwang the Hotel general manager about the issues with the Pool being cool / the room not being clean and previous clients gummy bears and candies stuck to the floor rug throughout the room - and the outrageous amount of Noise till 2 Am - I received an generic auto response apology and that's it - about as insensitive a response one would expect from a droid - so that tells me how much they care about clients once they have your credit card and money - - but at least i will share with 300 coworkers and tripadvisor to at least let them know NOT to go there when there are hockey bus loads of noise makers there - noisemakers poorly monitored by 4 adults per busload - recommend the Days Inn as they have a warmer pool The pool at this hotel was cold and hockey brats were putting soap in the water slide to speed up there slide so they could slid across the whole pool at the bottom - clearing out families and young children from the pool - reported to front desk but - no help
In town for my nephew's hockey tournament. Beds were very comfy, room was fairly quiet, nice rain shower head with good water pressure, and everything was clean. Breakfast was good with sausage, eggs, hashbrowns, yogurt, fruit, waffles, bagels/toast, and cereal. Didn't use the pool but saw lots of kids going to/from it - seemed like they enjoyed it. Would stay here again.
Stopped here for an evening and enjoyed a clean, large spacious room, comfy beds and nice breakfast. The staff were lovely and helpful. The breakfast area was clean in the morning, and breakfast was an average continental with hot and cold selections. Quite nice after driving all day. My only complaint is in the morning we could hear the beeping from the waffle makers in our room. Could easily be rectified by staying further away from the main entrance on the ground floor. I would recommend staying here for those travelling through and wanting a nice stay. It was close enough to the Giant Moose and the tourist information for Moose Jaw. Quite a nice town to explore!
When we could not find anywhere to eat or take our cash for food during a protracted power outage the staff at the BW came to our rescue!! They opened up the breakfast area and without a complaint fed us a wonder lunch as best as they could without any power. They truly made us a home away from home. Many thanks to all the wonderful staff and their cheery attitude. This s a very special BW
Absolutely love this hotel. So clean, staff makes your stay awesome in every way! If you stay in Moose Jaw try this Motel for sure it will make your Day!!! Tim hortens's close by and a new McDonald's too!
Location is right off the highway in a more industrial part of town. Excellent checkin by Ian who gave us recommendations for local restaurants. The hotel offers complimentary hot soup in the evenings and had cookies at the front desk. The breakfast selection was excellent. Room was clean and bed was very comfortable. Just a note to light sleepers, some traffic could be heard as the room was facing the highway.
First time staying in this particular hotel while in MooseJaw. Front desk agent (Dusty)who checked me in was extremely friendly. I was allowed to check in early and was directed to where everything was and what time breakfast was beginning in the morning. I did request a room closer to the gym but this is a pretty busy hotel due to its location so I took the 4th floor instead. (Yes my addiction to coffee is being taken care of....McDonalds is just down the street!! (So is Tim Hortons if you like that) The room is spacious enough but the only thing I did not like was the room was too dark and no lighting whatsoever in the corner or over the microwave / coffee area. I would stay here again!!
Stayed here while driving back home as we wanted something just off the Trans-Canada highway for a quick departure. The hotel seems to be relatively new with a welcoming lobby and updated rooms. The room was immaculate, the decor splendid, and the king bed very comfortable. The staff was efficient and helpful. The hot breakfast was somewhat disappointing with nourishing but bland offerings. However the coffee was better than what we've had at other similar establishments. We have stayed in other similar hotels here in the past and this was our best experience. Good value for money spent.
This hotel was a great place. Easy to find with plenty of parking. We arrived early so the girl at the front desk took our phone number and called us when our room was ready. Nice touch! The rooms were quite big and roomy. The breakfast was very good. They had the usual toast, muffins, waffles, etc and they also had a hot breakfast which was very good. The ladies that looked after this area did an excellent Job and kept it clean. We would definitely stay here again.
I love the Best Western hotels around Canada and their service is outstanding. This hotel is new and the staff were tremendous. I think their customer care rates as the best I have experienced in Canada. Nothing was too much trouble. I got given mugs, plates and a container of cookware that was taken out daily and washed - allowing me to cook in house. They do also offer a great breakfast at hours that actually work if you are a worker! Great spot to sit and work and good coffee on tap.
I stay at hotels frequently for business, and i always find that the Best Western in Moose Jaw always meets or exceeds expectations. Everyone is friendly and eager to be helpful. I recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area.
Nice place as soon as you enter. Friendly staff and very accommodating. Our room was clean, large and comfortable. Bed was fairly firm. Only real concern was the air conditioner was noisy as it had a vibration. I put a piece of cardboard in it that helped, but still a little noisy. But besides that, it was nice. Great breakfast with an excellent selection of hot food. No exercise room, but a good pool. Would definitely recommend it.
I stayed there one night with a family member. In the middle of the night, we heard knocking on our door. Apparently, several boys were knocking on doors and running away. These boys were part of a Band.. who were there for a Provincial Band Competition. They were to be supervised.. These boys also played soccer in the hallways to amuse themselves which annoyed many. That did not happen. After speaking to the Front Clerk and Management, I was asked if i had ever had children. Yes, I said. The response was" then boys will be boys, you know." No apology just a firm suggestion--- you can always go elsewhere as we do not supervise nor will we speak to the chaperones" Well, apparently the management does not care whether their other guests get any sleep.
We stayed here on 2 separate nights on a driving trip. Hotel is conveniently located near Highway #1 and has lots of free parking out front and on the side. The first thing we experienced were the friendly front-desk staff. They processed our check-in quickly and we had our room key in under 5 minutes. The room was as booked, a large 2-queen room with a small fridge (with freezer), microwave, coffee maker and lots of space. The room was very clean and we liked the tub/shower having a lower side and 2 safety handles to grab for getting in and out. TV, WiFi and all room amenities worked great. Free breakfast in the morning was quite good, scrambled eggs, hard-boiled eggs, sausages, french toast, breads for toasting, juices, etc. The breakfast area was busy but the staff made sure the items were re-stocked quickly. We liked the extra of having a coffee machine in the lobby for a go-cup and free cookies at the front desk. Have stayed at many other hotel chains that could learn a lot from how this hotel is set up and run. Hope to be back.
The staff are terrific. Service plus. Particularly Ian on the front desk. Hotel was good/fine. Conveniently located. Complimentary hot soup upon arrival was a nice touch as we had tired little ones who'd been in the car for hours. The house keeping around the hotel and in room was only ok... could have been more thorough. The pool area needed a really deep SCRUB.
This Best Western is one of the better ones I've stayed at. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The beds are big and comfy. Breakfast was well stocked and had a good variety. The only negative was the pool was a little small.
This recently became a Best Western & looks almost brand new. The rooms are spacious & comfortable. They're well maintained and everything works the way it should. Breakfast in the morning was plentiful & satisfying. If you're here in the middle of winter - have no fear. Each parking space has an electrical outlet for your engine block heater. Quite the deal, eh?
Clean and quiet. Easy check in and check out. Great location, just off of highway near restaurants. Staff was very friendly. Continental breakfast was a bonus. Would definitely stay at this hotel again.
Found the hotel to be very clean and excellent service from staff. Pool hours stated were only till 9 which was disappointing for the kids as usually pools are open till 10 leaving time after supper to take them for a swim. Other than the pool hours, hotel was an excellent stay, breakfast was hot and lots of options available.
Stayed at the hotel for 2 nights from Aug 10-12. At check in the stay were fast and friendly, until I asked about if I was upgraded because of being Diamond Select and getting the free gift (both as per the guide for BW rewards). I was told no they don't upgrade at this hotel and they know nothing about a free gift at check in. Even after pointing out the free gift in the brochure on their counter they said it must have just started, last changes were in 2017 to the program. Went back later and spoke with someone else and got the same response. Now as for the free upgrade it is based upon rooms open, I went online and checked and you could book all types of rooms so they weren't sold out.The beds in room 405 were alright. The one closest to the window was fine and you could sleep on it no problem. The one closest to the bathroom on the right hand side (looking at it from the foot of the bed) sloped away and you felt like you were going to roll off. The pillows need to be firmer as they felt like you would just sink through them.Breakfast was good with a great selection of food, cannot say anything more than that.My daughter loved the pool and water slide. She says that the slide is very fast and you can get lots of speed on there. Overall it was great because it was so hot outside you could cool down.Check out was fast, although no express check out was offered and once again we were told by staff that this hotel doesn't offer that service. Strange that a service that would make things quicker isn't offered. One quirk with this hotel is the elevators. Unlike most hotels where you press the button and all the elevators will be called with the first available one coming this one you have a button for each elevator. So this means you will most often have both elevators coming to the lobby or a floor because you have to press both buttons to get each on to come. Just a strange system when you can link them easily.
Seems to be a fairly new hotel. Everything is in top condition. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was hot and good quality. Check in was fast and painless. Check out was easy with the 'express' option. Motorcycle friendly. Was able to park bike in secure location.
This is an excellent place to stay, with a great staff, quiet rooms and very comfortable beds. We got an ecellent nights rest and was able to get work done in this room. We were even able to catch up on our emails and stay in touch with clients back home in the States. We definitely recommend this hotel to any one staying in Moose Jaw.
This has now become my hotel for this region of Saskatchewan. Easy location, lots to eat close by, friendly staff, clean rooms and good coffee anytime. The breakfast room is VERY CRAMPED especially when kids are there so plan on a early breakfast. Good secure parking and comfortable beds and pillows. Best of all no pet no smoke policy. I will be back here many more times.
The Best Western+ is an excellent hotel to stay, especially with children. The rooms are spacious. Although a bit small, we had a blast at the pool. And to top things off your stay includes a free breakfast in the morning that includes hot items. Next time in MJ we'll definitely stay here again.
quick check in great service when I had to get new key for room and a very pleasant hope you had a happy anniversary when leaving. overall great breakfast great service great stay. thanks again would recommend this property to everyone
This hotel is great, the rooms are nice and very clean. We were working out in the heat all day +36 temp and it was so nice to walk into a well airconditioned room when we checked in. They also provide a great breakfast in the morning.
Just spent one night there, but it was clean, great breakfast, friendly, helpful staff (Dusty), overall impressed and will stay again and recommend this hotel. Easy to get to, close to highway, and the giant moose!
Was there on business. Was great location just off highway. Very clean and neat. Good food for breakfast Beds were comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling or just needing a place for business.
This hotel's rooms are well appointed, though the room we had lacked a safe. They are also spacious and clean. However, our first night was disturbed by the sound of traffic along the Trans Canada Highway, sound that never really stopped. Furthermore, very early in the morning — Saskatchewan is on standard time — the rising sun found its way through the curtains, which do not close completely. We asked to be moved to a room on the other side, and our second night was much better. Thanks to the hotel staff for accommodating us.
We arrived on Friday afternoon for a three day weekend stay. The desk clerk immediately recognized our platinum status , took our choices of benefits and upgraded our room. Our room was large and looked like new, it was also very quiet. The wi if worked as good as at home. We had the complimentary breakfast each morning anand it had many options and was well serviced . A very good stay, thank you.
We had travelled from BC down through the states and back up to Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan for a family wedding. Hotel was easy to find from the highway and convenient to other locations. Would stay again if the need arises to be back in Moose Jaw.
This was my first time staying at a Best Western Plus.....and it did not disappoint. Everything from the excellent desk staff (thank you Dusty) to the pool & workout area, and well lit parking area.....fantastic hotel. I would definitely stay here again!
Best place to stay in moose jaw hands down. The staff is always kind and courteous. The pool was a big hit with the family and we even had a pizza party in the dining area. It was a great stay all around and we'll be back there for future visits.
This Hotel was wonderful and the staff was amazing. They mentioned the breakfast and we said we were leaving at 4:00am before breakfast. They provided bagged breakfast for our entire group (probably 20). That was way more that any of us expected. Would certainly stay here again.
Have the room cleaned before someone checks in. It looked like there was a Frat party in there. There was about 50 scuff marks in one spot of the wall. There was damage is to the bottom of the dresser. It was a rip in the curtain. There was A hair in each bed. At the bottom of the counter where the fridges it was broken. Underneath the sink in the bathroom was a whole bunch of grime on the wall with a brownish color. The corners of the carpet around the room look like they had been vacuumed in months. One of the mattresses all of the springs are broken so it felt like you were falling off the bed the whole night how could they not even notice that. The table by the chair had a thick layer of dust on it. As did the top of the light fixtures. Not to mention the ketchup on the was by the T.V. The front desk staff were very nice, they did there best to try and clean the room a bit. Was never offered anything to make up for the poor cleanliness.
Very accommodating and friendly staff. They juggled things around, to accommodate an extra night, for my work, even while the hotel was filled up with guests. Impressed. Super comfy bed. Will definitely stay here again.
Good place to stay. Clean and attractive spaces. Staff were professional, courteous and friendly. We were only there as a stop over so didn't use any amenities. Breakfast could have been a bit better, but to be honest it is rare for us to experience a good buffet style BF at a hotel/motel.
Everything was as expected, Rooms were clean and were maintained well. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good, could possibly have a larger breakfast room. The only thing was a bit of highway noise as the hotel is located right next to the Trans-Canada. Otherwise an excellent stay!
Stayed here many times and this hotel never disappoints. Great staff, always clean, breakfast is amazing! Pool and waterslide are a hit with the kids! Can't say enough about this place! Highly recommended
Best Western hotel in Moose Jaw is a very nice hotel. Rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable. The staff we encountered were all very friendly and front desk staff great. Would stay here again. Breakfast was your usual.
Rooms were huge and bright. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms and with the pleasant staff. I'd recommend a stay here anytime. The pool area was not overcrowded and was kept neat and I'm sure clean
Not at all impressed with my experience here. Stayed at the hotel with our team. It was busy, however the way we were treated was poor. With no provocation on our part we were advised that we may be evicted from our rooms for failing to follow rules (this was at 4pm)...however our team was being respectful and not causing any disturbances. We were also advised at this time that they had corporate clients and so we must not create additional noise (I am sorry but am I not as important as the corporate client?) AND....it was a Saturday at 4pm! one little boy was walking from one room to another he was told by a hotel staff that “he better get back to his own room” (this actually scared him nearly to the point of tears as it was shared in a forceful tone and the little boy was doing nothing wrong!), we had an early game (730am) and were told that cold breakfast would be available for us....when team members attempted to access this service they were met with reluctance to allow this use and staff would not even turn the lights on in this area. These are just a few examples....Not impressed with the way we were treated and will not recommend it to others in the future.
Stayed here for a hockey tournament with 4-5 other team and the staff were awful. Kicked the kids out of the pool at nine, they said everyone was being loud and threatened everyone with eviction, didn't have any towels for the pool. This place is a joke, I've stayed at many hotels with groups/ teams and never have I had an experience like this. These are kids, let them have fun.
Great location. Just off the highway. Brand new hotel. Very clean and comfortable. Staff were very welcoming. Wish the breakfast was a better. Didn't care for the sausages. Highly recommend the hotel to families.
Two night stay between Christmas and New Years. Efficient check in and a follow up call to ask if the room was satisfactory, nice touch. The room was quiet and the bed Comfortable. Enjoyed the wide variety of breakfast options both mornings. A newer property with dining options located fairly close. Well worthy of consideration for family trips.
Was a very nice hotel! Pool was nice for the kids for sure. Staff where helpful especially with places to eat in Moose Jaw. Breakfast was very very good! The sausage and bacon especially was amazing especially for a hotel breakfast (I like my food)! The rooms where nice and clean and big enough with the kids didn't feel tight in the room. Will sure be back!
This hotel is great, the staff is very friendly and helpful. Everything during our stay was great. Rooms were clean and very comfortable beds. The complimentary breakfast in the morning was amazing. Definitely recommend this hotel to anyone that is looking for somewhere to stay in Moose Jaw.
Overall this hotel was good. The staff were certainly friendly and breakfast was very good. I did find the cleanliness a little lacking (pool area and stains on bedroom wall) but I confess I am a bit picky in this area. We had to keep logging into the internet as it kept switching on us and found the t.v. a bit confusing with the 2 controllers in the room. We got to use our best western points for the room which was great.
Fun water slide for the kids and nice hot tub near by so mom and dad could relax, free hot breakfast with lots of options, clean and spacious room. Great for a mini family getaway in Moose Jaw. Will do it again.
tried to book this hotel for our holiday get away with my family and was told that my husband's service dog was not allowed. Use this chain everywhere we go except when we are denied service which has only been at this location. Guess your membership status means nothing and neither does the law!
The staff was great. I love the pool and water slide and I'm a 50 something kid. Rooms were nice and clean. Free breakfast was an awesome bonus. Only down was the hot tub could have been a lot warmer! Only reason it had a noise factor was a hockey tournament and that's Saskatchewan. But parents should'nt let kids play in the hall after 9!!!
Our holiday was made complete with this clean, comfy and very accommodating hotel. We loved the option of having a kitchenette for our family and some adult pool hours. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
The room and place were great. Unfortunately the egg and sausage in the free breakfast were cold. Not even like warm. And they were in warmers so that doesn't make sense. But one of the cleanest places i've stayed.
This is a good hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms very spacious. Have a good breakfast. Location was handy for getting around quickly. Enjoy staying at the Best Western Plus hotels. Will be back in January!
Everyone very pleasant. Very clean. Close to Rock Creek Restaurant which had good food. I had to do business reports and had to go thru a fire wall. Internet never dropped me. Breakfast was satisfactory and varied over 5 days I was there. Great staff, especially Glenn and Brandi on front desk.
Just like the title, rooms are clean, modern and close to amenities! Our kids enjoy the pool, water slide and breakfast! And the staff is friendly! This hotel is close to shopping and restaurants. One of our favourite places to stay!
Great place to stay, friendly staff, clean and neat, good food and service; great location, near Tim Hortons, Macdonalds, gas stations and main highway and tourist information and near City Center. Nice pool, work out room, hot tub and water slide.
Great hotel overall. Friendly staff and accommodating to our child's Celiac Disease dietary needs at the feee breakfast. We were told the pool Closed at 10PM on weekends, but they didn't tell us that from 9-10 it's adult only. When we headed to the pool as a family at 9 we got told adults only. Very disappointing to our kids who had waiting to go swimming all day. This needed to be communicated better so we could have planned better - or remove the adult only hour all together. There wasn't a single person in the pool the last hour, but we were still not allowed in with out 2 kids.
At check in I had no credit card as I don't use them for obvious reasons. I was refused an alternative to use, for example my debit card or having a family friend phone one in. I had two young children at 11 pm needing a room. I had cash in my hand but it wasn't acceptable to the front desk. Unacceptable rule
We had a large room with two queen beds, a kitchenette, couch, and upholstered chair. Very comfortable stay. Service was great too. Breakfast was one of the better breakfasts we have had in a hotel. We would definitely stay again when passing through Moose Jaw
This hotel is beautifull inside-out.The employee were also very helpfull and smiling.Everything was clean. Also very well located, close to town, museum, and highway.Easy to acces from the highway and to go back.this place was much more than expected in Moose Jaw.
I was recently in Moose Jaw on business and stayed at this hotel. Spacious room, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. Service excellent. Definitely will stay here again and would recommend to others.
Easy access off the highway, the rooms were bright, clean, the staff were all pleasant, very quiet street and highway noise as it was buffered very well. All amenities nearby, food, shopping etc I was able to grab a meal before a shower , very clean bathrooms which is very important to a traveler, complimentary soups and shampoo so I didnt have to dig all my stuff out of the vehicle, I would recommend the best western Moose Jaw to everyone travelling or working in the area
So windy on edge of town and hotel very poor build quality can hear people in hallway outside parking there car the wind outside never stay here if you would actually like to sleep If you would actually like to sleep go somewhere else
The hotel worked very well for our cross country travel agenda, situated just off the highway with amenities nearby. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. The staff were extremely helpful. Overall a very good experience
Hotel was great. Staff were the best and so helpful in all departments. Front Desk Manager was so pleasant . Breakfast was well presented and variety was great . Loved the outside drive up entrance . Rooms were clean and beds were awesome. Would recommend this hotel !
We stayed here 1 night as we had work done to our house and our other hotel booked the room we had. Check in here was effortless and quick. Our room was very large and the beds were the best I've had in a hotel. The pool was great and warm on a cold oct day as well as the hot tub. The breakfast was really good lots of options. I just wish we had stayed here the whole time not just 1 night!
Hotel was very nice, clean appearance from lobby to rooms. The staff members very pleasant accommodating and courteous, The bed was extremely comfortable. Pool, hot tub area was very nice and clean. Was very easy to get to as well had lots of parking. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family and would definitely stay at this hotel again.
clean and comfortable quiet good location excellent staff breakfast was good, would of preferred real forks and knives, plastic ones do not do the job, paper plates are fine By the way smaller pillows should be available for people with neck problems or spine problems
Everything was great in this hotel. As we had some minor issues with 2 rooms they couldn't solve immediately, when we landed in the 3rd room, we were told we would receive a reduction for compensation. A couple hours down the road we realized they had charged the full standard rate and not my reduced member rate that I originally had received. The reduction had very little impact due to this oversight. Disappointed over missing details of bill.
This Hotel is located on a street that is close to the new hospital. It is also close to shopping and the Oasis camp- ground. The Hotel has easy access to hiway's #1 and #2. The staff were very helpful on check-in and check-out by making sure we would receive credit for our BW points. Breakfast selection was quite good, but prefer coffee be perked and not made instant by a machine.
Awesome beds clean hotel. Easy to get to and friendly staff. Beds are high to be prepared if you are short but worth the jump comfy once you are in. Breakfast was very good bacon and eggs waffles and much more
My most recent stay at the Best Western in Moose Jaw left something to be desired. I love Best Westerns and book them over other hotels, however, you have to be careful when you book this one. The first room they gave me was in the hallway towards the pool had such high levels of chlorine that my eyes hurt. So they moved be to the second floor but I forgot that at this hotel you have to stay on the south side facing the parking lot as the noise coming in the window which faces Highway number 1 is a constant hum. Maybe some heavier curtains would help. The staff was very accommodating when I moved the first room but I didn't bother with a second move.
Stayed here while traveling on tour. Clean rooms.Comfortable beds Nice staff. Not a lot of food choices with in walking distance. Ample parking even for large vehicles. Can't speak for the breakfast since we departed very early.
We stayed 3 nights. Front desk staff were friendly & efficient. We were able to check in early which was appreciated after a long day drive. They had fresh baked complementary cookies which was a nice touch. The rooms were spacious & clean. Nice modern decor. Comfortable beds & pillows. Fast internet. The free breakfast had lots of hot & cold items to choose from. There was a line up for coffee as it is a machine that makes individual cups. That was our only complaint. The hotel is next door to the visitor centre ( home to the snowbird plane & moose statues). Easy to find as it located just off the main highway. Be sure to visit the Moosejaw tunnel tours. It's the best attraction in the city!
We had a great time at this hotel...... Our kids loved the waterslide and the many choices for breakfast.... Thank you for making memories for our family. Our room was spacious and clean, the kids loved jumping from bed to bed. lol
I booked a wheelchair accessible room. Upon arrival we found out we weren't on the main floor, my concern with this is if there was a fire my mom would not have been able to walk down the stairs to get out as she is in a wheelchair. We got into the room and thought the bathroom shower was very accessible but then found out there was no bars and no raised toilet seat for her to utilize the bathroom without help. The mirror was not accessible for her to get ready as it was at normal height as was the counter. The accessibility to the beds was interesting, the beds were higher than normal beds, someone in a wheelchair isn't able to stand usually and transfers from a chair to a bed which usually is the same height, this was definitely not the case. This suite was definitely not accessible for someone in a wheelchair and if we wouldn't have paid and checked in we probably would have just kept driving as it was more work to stay then not. Just something to think about as the word accessibility doesn't just mean a big bathroom. If it was more accessible I would have rated it higher.
The hotel was easy to find. Great staff took care of my family. Enjoyed the stay and would stay here again when traveling. Very clean hotel. The breakfast bar was well stocked with good food. We enjoyed the treatment and had a good nights rest.
We liked the location of the hotel, a bit away from everything but have a room on the parking lot side as I heard from other guests that the rooms facing the hiway can get a bit noisy. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The only con for us was the plastic and paper cups they use in the rooms other than glass, not environmentally friendly, otherwise a lovely stay. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.
Very helpful and friendly staff. They did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. Rooms were clean and modern and well stocked and the beds were comfortable as was the temperature of our room it was easy to regulate. Close to a lot of different restaurants and stores. Breakfast had a decent selection however we stayed on a weekend and when we went down to eat the place was packed and hard to find a spot to sit. The pool is quite small and when we went down to the pool it was too packed are hard to move around without bumping into people so we didn't end up getting to swim or use the waterslide as there were too many little ones in the way of the slide. But then like everything it could have been a timing thing.
The hotel was very clean, and extremely quiet, the hot breakfast in the morning was fresh and very clean. All the staff were very courteous and professional and friendly. We will definetly stay there again!
Best Western Plus in Moose Jaw was an excelent hotel to stay at. From the time we entered the lobby area to book in until we left the next day we were greeted by front desk staff with a smile and friendly attitude. Lobby area very clean, nicely decorated. Room was great. Clean and nicely laid out. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with a large selection of food items. When in Moose Jaw Best Western Plus is the best hotel to stay at.
This hotel was very nice place. Close to the highway which was nice and convenient. Staff was helpfully and friendly. Rooms were clean and comfy. The breakfast was amazing! The meats (bacon and sausage)where very top notch, high quality and amazingly tasty, with a great variety! Great way to start the day! I would absolutely stay here again!
very clean, decorated nicely , great staff, the breakfast had a very good selection and great taste. even the staff in the breakfast room was prompt, clean and approachable, and still kept everything stocked.
Excellent hotel, staff were very friendly and helpful, rooms were number 1, beds very comfy. Would recommend this hotel for sure, I have stayed in a lot of Best Western hotels this year, this one is by far the best.
This is a perfect location to stop at midway between Winnipeg and Calgary. Has a fun tune slide for the kids. Excellent breakfast selection. Staff was very friendly. We will definitely be staying here in the future.
Very friendly and efficient staff. Nice clean rooms. Good location. We had 5 in our room and were very comfortable. We arrived 2 hrs early and were able to access room within 10 mins.We had 2 children ages 7&9. We were offered access to pool while we waited which wasn't needed since the room was available. Great staff. Nice rooms and great value with full hit breakfast included. Bonus promo of $20 towards future stay.
2 star hotel with a 4 star price! The waffles were the only thing memorable. I checked in quite late and it took a long time to check in when I just wanted to sleep! Not worth the price for a couple hours of sleep.
Questioned spending over $100 for a room when I knew we wouldn't have much time to use the pool. Kids had fun on the slide, but found the pool area a little dull. Beds were comfortable and it was very quiet in the halls. Breakfast had a good variety, but most was coming out of the box and being microwaved. When traveling on the Trans Canada will probably stay there again.
Not one single thing bad to say about this hotel, friendly staff great service, fantastic breakfast, check in and out was a pleasure, amenities were great and location a breeze to find off the Trans Canada highway, will definitely book here again.
Generally an average hotel. Room large with standard furniture - bed comfy. Lighting could be better but can plug in items next to phone. Only 1 bath towel per guest - seems skimpy and cheap for what is supposed to be a plus bw. Breakfast standard. Room is good size but coffee/beverages located inappropriately causing hold up to get other breakfast items. Staff very friendly.
The employees are all extremely friendly, the rooms are large and spacious and it is very easy to get to from the Trans Canada Hwy. The kids really enjoyed the pool and the cookies at the front desk! My only negative comment/warning would be to try and get to breakfast away from peak usage as it is on the smaller side for tables, and there wasn't a ton of room for the line up for hot items. The breakfast was very good though! This is our second time staying here, we've recommended it to friends and we would stay here again anytime!
The hotel itself was excellent but the price quoted and confirmed was $15 more than at check out. Make sure to check your bill. The staff adjusted it when asked but that should not happen. I over heard the breakfast lady and she was quite rude to several people when they asked her about some items that were empty.
We have stayed at this Best Western Plus at least once for the past three summers. It has been consistent in its service, value and comfort. The pool and slide are excellent for the kids to unwind after a long day of travelling. The hot tub is great for adults and kids alike. The breakfast has hot and cold offerings. The beds and rooms are comfortable and clean. We have never been disappointed with our stay here.
Excellent location - family orienated - fantastic breakfast. Very reasonably priced. Great halfway mark between Calgary and Winnipeg. Has indoor swimming pool for kids - life jackets for the little ones and hot tub to relax in before turning in for the night.
If you are staying in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, I would definitely recommend Best Western. Everything from the room, staff, pool/waterslide, location, it was great! We had just left Medicine Hat (stayed at the Medicine Hat Lodge and Casino and it was CRAP) and when we arrived at the BW in Moose Jaw, we were beyond happy to be there! Great place to stay!!
Our brief night over in Moose Jaw was very enjoyable. From the check in staff who helped us find the right Tunnel tour to the Breakfast staff who made sure we were well fed. Would stay here again in the Future.
We spent two nights here while exploring Moose Jaw. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the halls were quiet. We slept great. The breakfast was good, with a wide variety of hot and cold selections. We found it hard to get to the breakfast by 9 AM, as we were on holidays and sleeping in. Perhaps the breakfast hours could extend until 10 AM during the summer. The pool and hot tub were small, but we mostly had it to ourselves.
Staff was excellent and went above and beyond. Only complaint was one mattress was broken. Trista & Nora helped making everything perfect. Compensation for bad night would have made up for that part..
My husband and stayed this hotel for three nights. The weather was hotter than normal in Moose Jaw for this time of year, as I was told. During that time, there was also a raging thunderstorm with sheeting rain. I expected the power to go off any time, and while it flickered when lightening bolts hit close, it was always back on right away. The morning after the storm, the power did go off. We were still in our very comfortable room on the fourth floor preparing to leave on our outing for that day. We had to descend four floors to exit the hotel, but the stairway was well-lit and carpeted making our descent safe. When we got to the lobby, a fire engine was pulling up to the hotel. According to workers, there were some people who did not share our good fortune, and were trapped in the elevator. It had to have been seconds that a hotel employee was on the phone getting help when all of this occurred. I would stay in this hotel again without even considering another place. Our room was on the fourth floor overlooking the expanse of the prairie beyond the highway. It was quiet and peaceful at night. The bed was comfortable, and the facilities were sparkling. The complimentary breakfast was varied, well-stocked, and continually monitored for adequate supplies. Every staff member we met were happily willing to see to whatever we needed. The big plus was, and is, when there was an emergency, there was no hesitation, no question that this staff worked together to make sure everyone was safe. Good job Best Western Plus Moose Jaw!
We stayed at the Bestwetern and had a very good night sleep. The check in was very fast and that made it nice to get ready to head out to the Temple Garden Spa for a nice relaxing dip in the hot mineral water. The pool at the hotel looked very inviting for kids with the water slide. Breakfast was the normal meal that most hotels put on.
Recently stayed here, room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good and had enough variety to find something you could eat. Staff was professional and courteous. It was a busy weekend with guests as it was a holiday weekend but everything was good at the hotel. Reliable service every time we stay.
Hotel very clean and helpful staff. Close to downtown and restaurants. Very friendly staff. Good value. We were given an upgrade to a suite at no extra cost. Great breakfast. Decided to stay an extra night.
Brand new with great beds, great decor and right off the highway. Great breakfast in the morning with very friendly staff. Stay here if you want a good nights sleep in a warm, friendly atmosphere of comfort for a reasonable price.
I have stayed here before and knew I would once again find a very clean, comfortable and welcoming room in a convenient location just off the highway in Moose Jaw. The front desk staff was very helpful and my entire stay was easy.
Great hotel, awesome service, nice staff, pool and water slide for the kids, complimentary breakfast, laundry facilities, close to highway, lots of restaurants close by, accommodating staff, right beside Mac the Moose :)
Our family recently stayed at Best Western Moose Jaw and had a great time. Location, cleanliness and water slide were great. I highly recommend it, rate included a big hot and cold breakfast so everyone was happy with breakfast and swimming. The beds were comfortable and clean rooms with a big tv and free wi fi.....we will be back!
Stayed one night. Location is close to restaurant, gas station and coffee shop. Close to highway and easy to find. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast was typical fare, but plentiful. BW is upgrading the look of the lobby here with a seating are and big screen TV.
Great modern hotel, excellent breakfast, awesome staff. Pool is nice but a bit cold. Nice decor, clean and comfortable. This is our favorite place to stay in Moose Jaw, but wish the price was a bit more affordable and that the breakfast stayed open later on weekdays.
We stopped in Moose Jaw as a family to see the Tunnels. Checked into Best Western Plus. A very nice, clean, newer hotel. Unfortunately when we got back from the tours the pool was closing (they close at 9 on Sundays). The kids were disappointed but we enjoyed a movie in the room instead. During checkout I mentioned missing out on the pool. The staff were very friendly about the issue and a manager discounted our room 15% as compensation - unexpected! We would stay there again, thank you.
The hotel was clean, breakfast was nice and the customer service was wonderful. My room was quiet and comfy. The location was good, with Tim Hortons nearby, a gas station and right near their famous Moose. Further, the skies were beautiful to see! I thought the hotel against the sky looked amazing.
While riding across Canada on our Harley we stopped at this BW Plus location in Moose Jaw. This hotel is fairly new and very well located near the highway, gas bar, restaurants etc. The rooms were very clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was included and offered a great choice of hot and cold. Staff was also very nice and accommodating as we wanted our bikes to be parked near our rooms. Would recommend!
The hotel is clean, with good sized rooms and a good breakfast. It was a quick stay but what made it was the staff- in particular Veronica really helped me out and went above and beyond what would be required of her. She made a good stay great!
This was a very clean hotel! The room was very nice and we would definitely stay here again. Clean and fresh. The bathroom was small and the breakfast area needed more seating space but overall we were very pleased with everything. We had no trouble with internet. We were extremely impressed by the comfiness of the beds and the disinfected tv remote that came in a little bag that was marked "fresh".
Stayed here 2 times on my road trip across the country with my family. The rooms are HUGE!! The beds are soooo comfortable that I wish I could take it home with me. The swimming pool was great and it had a water slide!! The boys loved the pool and were excited that we were staying here again on the way home because of it. The breakfast that they offer in the morning is fantastic. I will always stay here when I end up in Moose Jaw. If I lived closer I would go all the time :)
The rest of the stay was terrific! Excellent hotel!! If you are awoken with sunlight, I suggest you stay in the rooms facing west rather than east, as the blinds were very transparent. Great breakfast included in price, with coffee available at all hours in lobby. Beautiful room with all the amenities.
Perfect stay for a weekend. The room was huge with two queen size beds plus a chair, ottoman and desk. The in room high speed wifi was greatly appreciated as was the hot breakfast in the morning. I was not disappointed.
I loved everything about this hotel! The room was huge, service excellent, continental breakfast hit the spot and my fiancé didn't want to leave the room once he saw it. We were wow'd. Some instructions on how to use the Jacuzzi would have come in handy... lol
This hotel was conveniently located right off Canada Hwy 1 and easy to find. The outside/inside appearances were clean, newish looking and very well appointed. We booked on line for a king room but when we checked in we requested a room away from the highway noise and had to be changed to a 2 bed queen for same price which was ok with us. The staff was very courteous for our request and took care of it quickly. Our room had clean comfy beds and the bath area was also very nice. The breakfast area was well maintained; however, it was not configured to keep a nice flow to people and food. We enjoyed the offers and was sufficiently stated when we headed on to our destination. Best Western did a great job on this location.
I stayed one night for the first time last night after booking online. Wow! I am impressed it's the cleanest best western I have stayed and I have been to lots throughout Canada. Quick check in and check out the same, great free breakfast included eggs, sausages, waffles, much more. Very clean well appointed king room with all the amenities including fridge microwave. Comfy king bed. I did not find it noisy even know I faced the highway. I was on the 4th floor. It's located off highway and next to the big Moose and Tim Hortons. I would recommend only staying here!
Very clean hotel, beds were extremely comfortable room was perfect and the staff were extreamly good with customer service. The breakfast was amazing better then any hotel I've stayed in. pool was small but the kids still had so much fun!!
We were only passing through but made a point to stop over-night. It was a very busy week-end in Moose Jaw, everything was booked, but they managed to give us a very nice room. Very nice, friendly staff, clean & comfortable.
Hotel located near the must see "moose". Several other attractions are near by. Check-in & check-out very easy. Request a room NOT facing the TransCanada, hence, those rooms are noisey. Their dinner recommendation was spot on.
This is always a great place to stay if you want peace and quiet. Staff is always friendly and accommodating. There are lots of hotels in Moose Jaw but this is one of the better ones in this price range.
I stayed here with my husband and 15 month old son for 1 night during our travels. The one thing I did not like is that you have to pay for a crib. I think that should be a curtesy. If you are familiar with the Best Western Plus brand this one will not disappoint. Comfortable, clean, nice rooms. Friendly staff. Free breakfast. The breakfast at this location was not as good as others I've stayed at but still decent. It's a good choice for a great price. I would stay here again.
Room was super clean, and hotel staff was very friendly. The location was easy to find, and access was good. Breakfast had a great variety to choose from and was fresh. Lots of seating if you wanted to eat downstairs. Local Newspapers were offered as well, which was a bonus.
We stayed at this hotel for a ball tournament and found the rooms to be clean, the staff friendly, the breakfast great and the beds comfy. We recommend this hotel and would stay again. Location was good and easy to find.
As a rewards member I was treated to a great upgrade. I received a jacuzzi suit. The room was fantastic and well worth being a member. Breakfast was good. The cheese omelets were great. Staff was friendly.
Great stay. Good location, clean. Kids would have liked longer pool hours. Kids only allowed til 9 then they have one hour of adult only time at pool. Good breakfast. Wifi was slow or non existent at times.
Great experience. Stayed here 2 separate times during the past year and will stay here again on the next visit. Excellent staff and well kept property. Good selection at breakfast. Fitness facility with a few options for your work out and with the pool its great
This is a typical Best Western. Our room was fine, but the lighting in the bathroom was a bit dim. The pool and hot tub were typically on the small side but very popular with the kids thanks to the waterslide. Unfortunately the Adult Hour (9 to 10 pm) was not enforced which bothered us and other guests. Our parting impression was not good - to be helpful, we mentioned that some peanut butter had hardened, but the attendant was very negative to us for speaking up.
Due to the location of this new hotel - it was right beside the highway - there was lots of highway noise. Our room was located around the corner from the elevator and heard people coming and going all night.
Many of us were told no late check outs allowed. We had asked to leave around 1 because we needed a resting place until our next game. We were told in a very matter of fact way that this was not possible. We have never been told this before at any hotel. And it's not like there were lines of people waiting to get in on a Sunday. Very disappointed.
Even though Moose Jaw is a 45 minute drive from home we decided to overnight there after the wedding we were attending. Hotel was easy to find just down the road from the Tourism Moose Jaw building and just off the number 1 highway. Great friendly staff and was very quiet, even though several sports teams were staying there for a tournament in town. We didn't hear a thing. Good complementary hot breakfast in the morning,
This Best Western is a beauty in the prairies. The room was beautifully appointed with a very large screen TV and lovely lighting. Very quiet location. Will return when we pass that way again! The value for the room we stayed in was superb!
Really great breakfast! Something for everyone. The pool is small and a little deep in the shallow end. My 3 year old could barely touch. But the kids still had a lot of fun. The room looked a little worn but was clean and the beds were comfortable. This hotel was 1000 times better than the Days Inn where we stayed last time in Moose Jaw.
Booked hotel room for multiple nights. Didn't get any kind of discount even though over 60 dancers stayed at this hotel for our event. Would be nice if the highway noise wasn't so loud on the one side of the highway.
Great staff, Very Clean Hotel, great Breakfast and has fresh hot Soup from 5-7 Pm nightly.Has work guest staying there for last 12 months. very helpful staff thought out the Day. Good value for the Money.
Great Value. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly and accommodating. We had a kitchenette but no cutlery. We called the desk and they brought sets within minutes. Would definitely stay there again!
All in all a good experience the pool and hot tub was relaxing and grate location the room was nice and clean grate bead really good breakfast lots of good selection close to good stores and a nice area and Tim hortens is gust up the street
Clean, friendly very helpful staff. Although this Hotel is adjacent to the Trans Canada highway, it was a very quiet night. Breakfast at 7 was very busy, because many families going to a Gymnastics competition. Good hot food
What a beautiful hotel! This hotel is quite new. Our room was HUGE with two queen beds, a kitchenette, a sofabed a chair and a desk! Everywhere we went the staff we passed greeted us warmly. Everyone was so happy to be there and so friendly! The whole place was so modern and clean! And the shower and the wifi were fantastic! The guest breakfast was the best I've ever seen. They had everything! Especially considering there was no onsite restaurant! Very impressive!
The hotel itself is new, nice, and clean. Amenities were good and what you would expect for a BW hotel, but the complementary toiletries are tiny so don't rely on those (better to bring your own). The pool area was very busy - and as a result was very loud - with a smaller pool but overall quite nice. Most of the staff was very friendly, except for one really horrid experience with the front desk trying to get wrist bands for the pool area for the second day. That employee had deplorable behaviour and soured the whole experience. If this was my hotel I would have fired her on the spot. The service rating would have been a "very good" if not for that.
The room was very nice. Extremely spacious in the room but incredibly small bathroom. The door just about hit the toilet when it was opened. The staff is super friendly. The pool is small, but waterslide is great! However, they close the pool at 9 for an hour of "adults only" which means they come and kick out the kids. Which is unfortunate as it seems very few adults swam and they kicked about 25 kids out. Would not stay here again if you were there for your children.
The staff was good. The hotel is very nice, clean and modern. It is just not set up to be full. The breakfast room is incredibly small, cramped and no where to sit! The pool was good. Three tables though and no where to sit and watch the kids.
Very satisfied no complaints staff was amazing room great pool perfect kids had a blast breakfast blew out mind clean soft towels best sleep room beautiful quiet didn't hear other guests considering how busy it was
Just ok . Very crowded with lots of children . Very slow elevators and no snow clearance on sidewalks or parking lot of hotel Poor value for the money, There are other hotels just as good if not better within walking distance of this one for less money
I enjoyed the room, it was very spacious and the bed was so comfortable. Staff were helpful, professional and pleasant. I like the new look best western adopted. The breakfast was good, with a lot of options and the coffee was great. Best hotel in Moosejaw.
We travelled to Moose Jaw for our daughter's birthday. The staff Austen in every way to make the visit memorable. The adult time at the pool was great (Adult only for a hour in the evening). Staff was excellent, they went the extra mile.
Clean, comfortable, well appointed with breakfast included. Quiet location, self serve breakfast plentiful altho very crowded on a Sunday morning. Pool are clean, nice size for kids and water slide included. Hot tub less than impressive, just a small square pool with few jets and little pressure. Good location and would stay again.
I chose this hotel because it had a pool with a slide for the kids ( ages 5 and 11) and for the price. I had 2 rooms with 2 queen size beds for 4 adults and two kids. Our first night there the power went out across most of the city while we were out at dinner. When we got back to the hotel , my sister who is disabled, had to lie down, but with no power we there were no elevators. The front desk staff identified an empty room on the first floor and let my sister use it till the power was restored, an hour or two later. They have a breakfast buffet every morning that is well stocked. My only complaint was that the business centre computers did not have MS Office or any other processing software installed.
Stayed at this hotel over the Thanksgiving weekend. Very pleased with the room size. Beds and pillows very comfy, everyone seemed happy to sleep a little longer which is a good sign. The "Free" breakfast had a good variety, only complaint is the set up of the station. As all the items are located on one counter, end up getting bottle necked. Tried not to reach over other guests, in the end it was every man for themselves. We will be booking here again.
We stayed here for 2 nights. The room was clean and the staff were very friendly. The breakfast was excellent with a good choice of food. I would recommend this hotel to all of my friends. The price was competitive.
The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly. This hotel is very busy and for breakfast you had to be down before 7:30 am or after 8:30 am to have a table. The food was good. The location is near a Tim Hortons restaurant and a Coop gas bar if you need to purchase snacks. just down the road is a a few box malls, Walmart, Montana's and Rock Creek restaurant for going out to eat lunch or supper.
We stayed one night in September at this hotel. It is fairly new so very modern and clean. The lobby was inviting and the breakfast was very good. There is no sign on the street side of the hotel (there is a sign on the backside along the #1 highway) so it is difficult to decide if you have the right hotel when driving up to check in.
Convenient as was just off the TransCanada Hwy but still the rooms were quiet. Had a spacious King suite which was huge. Beds were extremely comfortable and the internet worked great. Breakfast was good with many options. Right next to the Moose Jaw tourist info centre with the moose statue. All in all, a very nice hotel and very new and modern.
We were passing through Moose Jaw and made it a place to stay for one night. The hotel is right off Highway 1 by the "Big Moose" statue so very convenient. There was hot soup available for BW Rewards members, and it was a nice welcome. The breakfast was good, too - the best hotel breakfast we had on a 7-night trip across US/Canada. There is a pool with water slide, and a nice exercise room, too. I would stay again, especially for the price.
This is a very nice hotel. A little pricey but worth it. I've stayed there a few times, the hotel, parking lot, and area around the hotel are extremely quiet and empty. It's easy to sleep. It's in a newer area so not a lot developed there yet but lots of room to park so you can drive everywhere. A very nice hotel.
Very clean, modern hotel. The staff was wonderful, the room was very well laid out with modern furniture and amenities. There is also a small pool with an awesome waterslide. The breakfast was basic but filling. The bathtub had an attached drain stopper instead of a plug, that was kind of annoying.
While on an end of summer road trip, my son and I stayed in Moose Jaw for one night. The room was absolutely amazing - spacious and clean and comfortable. The staff was amazing. We ended up with vehicle trouble, and the lady at the front desk that night went out of her way to assist us with looking for a garage where we could take our vehicle the next day. I was blown away amazed by her kindness!
This is a really nice hotel . Quite new and clean. The pool is very cold. But the hot tub is nice and hot. There was plenty of towels in the pool area. Coffee / tea in rooms. And coffee and tea available in lobby as well at all times. The free breakfast is pretty darn good. Lots of choices. Everything in this hotel is very nice. My only complaint is the beds. Could be just personal preference but the beds are too soft! I have a bad back and after 7 days of traveling after sleeping in this bed my back was horrible! A whole day of driving in intense pain. Maybe I should request a room with a firm bed. Not sure if that's possible.!
Nice, new hotel with a great location. Excellent breakfast and large, clean comfortable rooms. Everything you expect and more in a hotel. Plus a Tim Hortons across the road which was nice. Will definitely stay there again.
In my honest opinion the rooms were very nice and clean. The one thing that really bugged me the most was the wifi was absolutely terrible also there were not many channels subscribed to on the tv. The poor was mediocre along with the fitness centre. In my opinion everyone should go to heritage in. I've spent 10 days in Moose Jaw and 5 different hotels and heritage in is definitely the best bang for your buck. I will never go back to best western not worth it. Nice rooms though.
We have three younger children and have stayed at the Best Western Plus in Moose Jaw several times, as it is a great half way point when making the trip to Winnipeg from Calgary and back. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Cleanliness of the hotel is good. Breakfast is good and the kids enjoyed the swimming pool. The Best Western Plus in Moose Jaw never disappoints. I would recommend this location to friends and family.
Hotel is clean and fairly quiet considering it was full. Requested a main floor but was given a fourth floor room, but no worries. The rooms are a massive size, great beds, good wide TV, WI-FI included. Besides a great bed there was also a lovely couch, table and comfortable chair and on-amen. Nice bathroom with good shower. Enjoyed a restful sleep. Breakfast was a bit of a gong show with a full hotel and only a modest size room it is understandable but can't complain. Close to the highway could not hear. No party idiots who disrespect hotels and their guests. Did not check out pool or workout area. I was in need of sleep and got it!
Stayed one night at this place and realy enjoyd it. Nice clean rooms with lot of space. Realy good breakfast with lot to choose from. Friendly staff. I would stay there again if i was in the area. The hotel looked to be fearly new. The only complain i could have was the temprature in the pool because it was on the cool side.
It was a very nice clean room and breakfast was nice. However, the check in process was quite slow and the pool was extremely cold. The pool literally felt like it was as cold as cold tap water. At check in time there was a line up of people waiting to check in with only one person working at the desk. After quite a while, another person was asked to help at the front desk.
Probably one of the best breakfasts in any American hotel/motel I have had. Very nice place. Too bad the swimming pool was so cold. Conveniently located close to shopping and the Museum and the big moose by the tourist information. Nice and clean and very quiet.
This hotel was super easy to find as it is located right off the TransCanada highway. We arrived tired from the drive and the check in was great. Friendly service and let us know the times of the pool (important for the kids) and when breakfast was in the morning. The kids enjoyed the pool and water slide, and although I didn't use it I thought it was brilliant to have the adult only time in the pool from 9:00 - 10 pm. Beds were very comfortable, and great water pressure in the shower. Breakfast was great, it was busy when we went down, but the items were well stocked. We would stay again.
We were in a king-sized bed "suite" and it was lovely - roomy and the bathroom was so great! Walk-in shower with a seat. Being a bit handicapped it was so great. Only down to the room was the bed being very high and I had a very hard time getting into it. We also used the pool and it was such fun. Kind of cold when you first got in, but ok after that. The slide was fun and fast. Breakfast was good, but they need a better coffee system. We were there on a Saturday and there were too many people to keep up with the coffee pot. All in all, it was excellent. Loved the staff - so friendly and knowledgable!! Great time!
Nice hotel well located off highway. Check in was delayed due to technical problems with being unable to produce room keys. Nevertheless the staff handled the issue very well and were pleasant and served clients well. Room very nice, spacious, clean and quiet. Breakfast was sub standard - cold eggs, over cooked and hard meat etc. Would recommend this hotel but breakfast needs improvement.
We stayed at this hotel twice. The first time our bed was stained and needed to be changed. Was told we would receive a discount for our next visit and never did. We were also staying when we were suppose to receive the 25.00 gift certificate for the 2 visits, never receive the gift certificates. We stayed the next time because of the promises from the first time. When we arrive for a late check-in I had to look for the registrator. This person was in cleaning the pool. I had to knock on the window of the pool at least five times before I got her attention. We just found that we were always annoying the staff because something was wrong. Then to not even get a discount because of issues encountered from our first stay. We are done trying to stay at this hotel. We usually only stay because of business and this is not why we stay at Best Western. Any other time we have stay at Best Western, enter the hotel register, go to your room, relax, get up and have breakfast and go. Not this hotel. In s saying all this the breakfast was one of the best I have ever had. The lady that does the breakfast is very good and she is always making sure the food is full and hot.
Let me start off by saying that I am not one to normally complain, so if I have something negative to say, it is out of the norm for me. I am writing a detailed review that I would have enjoyed reading prior to staying here. We decided to stay at the Best Western in Moose Jaw because it was the only hotel in the area to accept air miles, so after reading reviews, we based our decision on that. We checked in on a Saturday afternoon and arrived to find glass strewn about the BW parking lot. Big pieces and little pieces. I looked up and saw a broken window with shards sticking out. The area directly below was cordoned off with yellow caution tape, but the large, loose glass pieces were still blowing in the wind. It didn't appear to be safe nor stable. We had to park our vehicle a few times before we found a glass-less spot. Upon check-in, there was no one to be found. I had to call out a few times before a trainee appeared and timidly checked us in. I requested a cot and reminded her a couple of times, as this wasn't in our file upon check-in. We patiently waited for the one elevator and upon arriving in our room, we noticed that it was spacious and beautifully decorated. The room had a decent-sized fridge and microwave, as well as 3 sitting chairs, an ottoman and a good-sized table. This was the room that I expected, as I had read reviews and done my research. There was no cot in the room but a call reminding the trainee at the front desk rectified that. I took the kids to the pool and was surprised to find no pool towels. They appeared to be out. The pool area smelled strongly of chlorine, but the children had a good time on the water slide. The hot tub had good pressure, although the benches were made of gritty concrete and my bathing suit would stick to it every time I moved (a small detail, but good to know if you have a brand new or expensive bathing suit that you don't want to snag). We returned up to our room dripping wet, only to find that our room had just 3 bath towels for 5 of us to share. Be aware that the shampoo/conditioner are very small and accommodated only one of us nicely. The shower head was very high and was great for tall guests but the shower curtain was too short for the tub. :( They do advertise that you could get more toiletries at the front desk, but we had our own and didn't bother. The tv advertised a lot of channels but only half of them worked and say "you do not subscribe to this channel". Some basic channels that you would hope would work did not. The television also advertised Video On Demand/Pay Per View so we thought we would try that instead. But then when you click on the movie, it says that it's not available and offers a 1-888 number to call and subscribe. That was a little disappointing, since we couldn't get YTV and then couldn't rent a movie for the kids. They offer free wi-fi which worked most of the time, if you have a device with Netflix. Took a while to connect and would freeze every once in a while, but did it's job. The worst part of our stay was being woken up at 5:45 am to the sound of the fire alarm and flashing strobe light in our room. Once the alarm went off, the regular lights stopped working. Everyone entered the halls half-asleep, in disbelief and we all filed down the emergency exit stairs and waited outside in our pjs and bare feet (in the same glass-filled parking lot). No one announced that it was safe to re-enter, but slowly guests did, so we followed the crowd. The young man at the front desk said that a smoke alarm went off on the main floor somewhere. He didn't offer any explanation other than that. It almost seemed like it was just another occurrence to him. (I searched these reviews afterwards and realized it has happened a few times). Since there was only one elevator and the entire building was in the lobby, we decided to grab some of the free breakfast. We started filling our plates and were then kicked out by a stern breakfast server/cook, stating that people couldn't be there in bare feet. I understand that rule, but have some compassion on the tons of inconvenienced, barefoot guests who just want to grab a banana, since they were rudely awoken anyways. We returned to our room empty handed and returned 3 hours later to grab the remnants of their free breakfast. We made waffles but they were out of forks and knives so we cut them with our spoons. Upon check-out, the hotel was unable to provide me with a printed receipt of any kind. They swiped my credit card for incidentals but would not give me a paper copy of any pre-authorization nor charges. It should have all been covered by air miles but I would have liked to have had a copy of my receipt regardless. Overall, the hotel looks very nice. It is very appealing to the eye. If you are looking for a clean room, that is what we had. If you're looking for any more than a comfortable bed to sleep in, you may be disappointed. We did not pay for this room (aside from using 1,100 air miles) so that was the only plus. There were too many small details missed to make this a pleasant stay for us all and I would not stay here again. The room was good. It was the customer service that was lacking. Ps. The windows are very thin. The front desk told us that the window was broken by hail the night before. I wouldn't want to stay in a room where hail can break my window! When we checked out, they had knocked out the remaining big pieces and covered the window with plastic. The remaining cracked pieces were duct-taped in place.
We stopped at this hotel overnight during a road trip. We could tell it was a very new hotel as it smelled very nice and everything was in top condition. The location is convenient right off of #16 highway and next to the moose statue and info centre. Check in was a little slow as the person checking us in was a trainee working alone and didn't seem confident quite yet but we eventually got our room. The beds were very comfortable, the room was large and a lot of the details were not ignored (fresh remote cover, black towels for makeup removal, etc). The pool has a water slide and there is free breakfast until 9:00 am. My only suggestion to the hotel would be to offer breakfast until 10:00 am. None of our group was able to make use of the breakfast as it closed by the time everyone was ready to leave the hotel room. I would definitely stay here again if I was to visit Moose Jaw in the future.
Beautiful room & excellent staff! Breakfast in the mornings was terrific - eggs, two meats, hash browns daily, plus breads/pastries/fruit/yogurt - something for everyone! For those Best Western card members, there was also complimentary soup from 5-7 in the evening. The pool area was clean & well kept. It would be nice if it was a larger pool, but it is in keeping with any other of this hotel chain. This area also tends to be rather hot, and there were few tables, but nice all the same! We booked a king suite using air miles, and were pleasantly surprised by the size of the space. The living area had a hide-a-bed, coffee table, chair with ottoman, desk with chair and a table with four chairs, in addition to the mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker; the bedroom had a super-comfy king bed, chair & ottoman, and a jacuzzi tub! Housekeeping was friendly and efficient, and were willing to work around your schedule. The only drawback to this hotel is the location, which is also in its favour - it's on the edge of town, which means nice & quiet, but also you're unable to walk to any of the downtown attractions. Not a big deal perhaps, but it's nice to not always have to drive, as it is sometimes hard to find parking downtown. That being said, if you have an out-of-province license plate, you don't have to pay the meters! At least that's what we were told, and I never got ticketed lol All-in-all, we had a great stay in Moose Jaw, due in large part to staying in the hotel - would definitely stay here again!!
Thank you Best Western! Our family had a fabulous stay and thoroughly enjoyed the water slide!! We also have to stress how spacious, clean and comfortable our room was. What a wonderful stay, given our last accommodation was at a Super 8 that left us with a horrible experience.... We are definitely staying at a Best Western Plus again!!
This is a pretty standard Bestwestern Hotel. It is located conveniently next to Highway 1, but the downside to that can be the noise level as the windows aren't that soundproof. The rooms either face the highway or the hotel parking lot. The check-in process was rather slow and the same was true for the check-out. The room had a good size and was clean except for a few smaller details. A/C and WiFi worked well and the bed was comfy. Parking is free and so is the breakfast. Looking at it, it is the standard breakfast served in so many hotels like this. So nothing out of the ordinary. There is a Tim Horton's in walking distance for those who don't like this. For everything else, like restaurants and shopping, a car is necessary. As I wrote this is a pretty normal standard hotel. Nothing out of the ordinary. Not great - not bad. The stay was ok and I'd stay here again as I consider this one of the better hotels in Moose Jaw.
Close to the huge Moose of Moose Jaw this is a new hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel was clean and plenty of room to park. Would be okay if you were towing a trailer or boat. Room was quite large and bed was comfortable. Air conditioner was a little loud. Breakfast was okay. Selection of cereals and bread and pastries and yoghurt. Also some hot selections such as eggs, bacon, sausage and waffles. Generally good value. Hotel was quiet even though close to the highway.
I knew when I heard the name Moose Jaw we had to stay here a couple days. We were not disappointed one bit. Love the city and all it had to offer. We were there July 1 and celebrated Canada Day with Moose Jaw. If I could afford a second home it would be in Moose Jaw.
Would stay again.. Pool small but clean..breakfast was very good with both hot & cold items..back bacon was a nice change to other hotels & very tasty....cot mattresses very thin & could feel the springs but were given extra blankets to set on top of mattress...extra charge for cot was refunded
Recently traveled to Moose Jaw and stayed two nights at the Best Western Plus. My mom and dad also came with us and we both enjoyed our stay. The rooms were very clean and beds very comfortable. We would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone who travels to Moose Jaw Sashatchewan
The room was clean and fresh. The décor was modern and the pool a good way to work out the kinks of driving all day. Just be aware that the pool is a little small to have big kids using the waterslide and smaller ones in the shallow end. Breakfast was everything you could ask for when travelling.
Great Hotel. The beds are so comfortable and the pillows are wonderful. I made a nest out of the pillows, they supply so many on the bed. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. The breakfast was really good, with hot and cold items.. Easy city to drive around and the Visitor's Centre is right beside the Best Western.
Staff pleasant, rooms clean, nice decor, breakfast good, pool fun! Great hotel while in Moose Jaw. Stayed 4nights, up to date, modern hotel. Easy access off highway #1 or to downtown, next to Moose Jaw visitor centre.
This hotel is close to the highway and reasonably priced. It has free breakfast and a pool with water slide. Therefore it attracts cheap families. During our stay the hotel was filled with a boys softball league team and parents who couldn't be bothered to watch their kids. They just had their heads in their phones probably looking at YouTube. Good- hotel is new and rooms are still nice. Free breakfast was good and staff cleaned tables promptly. Bad- noisy families in the pool, hallway and breakfast area. Walls are thin and you can hear your neighbors. If you want a more relaxed quiet stay spend the extra money and go to the Mineral Springs hotel in Moose Jaw.
We're on a cross country motorcycle trip and decided to fly by the seat of our pants through the prairies and not reserve anything in advance. After a few days of not very comfortable beds we decided to pay a bit more for a nicer room. Best Western Plus is just off the highway and we knew as soon as we walked into the lobby we were staying. The clerk at the front desk was extremely helpful, answering all our questions about laundry, shopping & where I could get my glasses fixed. Our room was wonderful !!! Four pillows per bed, air-conditioning that worked and guest laundry room. Added amenities include: cookies at the front desk in the afternoon and also free soup & crackers from 5-7 pm in the breakfast room. Minestrone & it was DELICIOUS !! We are now Best Western members and won't hesitate to recommend you !!
The hotel is great, in general! Pros: - The free breakfast was fantastic and had a wide variety including hot foods - The pool and waterslide were both awesome, clean area and a lot of fun - The hotel was clean and modern, ample parking and felt secure. Cons: - Cleaning staff didn't clean our room after the first night, said it was because they had to do checkouts so no time....? - When we requested at the front desk for it to be cleaned, they came but left all the towels in the tub, didn't give new ones, etc. - The beds were very soft and not comfortable. Overall it was a very good stay, a few little snags but we would absolutely stay there again!
Excellent well maintained hotel with above average breakfast, the room was well appointed and the bed was very comfortable. Will definitely stay here again when in Moosejaw. The location is close to restaurants and service stations as well .
This is a very new hotel, very nice lobby, extremely clean breakfast with all the usual fare and then some. We have stayed here several times on our travel from the US to the Northern cities in Sask. and this place feels like luxury to us. The pool area is nice and the slide very fun. Hot tub was also nice. Everything is new and smells nice. Staff is very friendly. Beds very comfortable. The rooms with kitchenettes are even nicer. Very nice location by the highway, but you don't hear it. Close to shops and dining in Moose Jaw. My #1 place to stay in region.
We have stayed here before and that is why we come back we have always been treated great. The morning breakfast is top notch with soup at dinner time nice touch. Front desk staff were a pleasure to deal with. Both the breakfast staff we very attentive and very busy as the hotel was full. Thank you again
The hotel staff was great, helpful and friendly, hotel room was nice, clean and comfortable. Did have an in room fridge that whistled. Was offered to have it changed out, but we got used to the whistle. Walking distance to some restaurants. Would recommend staying at this hotel.
Just completed a week stay at the BW. Very nice property with friendly staff. Checkin was quick and without issue. The rooms are nicly appointed with king size bed, couch and a separate desk. The room had a stove top, small fridge and a microwave making it suitable for extended stay. The included breakfast had lots of selection. The gym was small but still doable. Did not get opportunity to enjoy the pool or hot tub There are dining options fro dinner within walking distance
Basic Hotel, new and clean. Staff were exceptional but hotel was quite basic for the "Plus" branding. Rooms were clean, bed was very comfortable and amenities were close by (walking distance to Tim's). Breakfast was also very basic with limited choices and quantities. Overall a good value but beneath what I have received elsewhere at a Best Western "Plus".
The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were fully up to standard and the pricing was in the correct range for the value of the room and amenities. It is within a 5 min drive of the downtown area and although close to the highway, the room was quiet.
We've stayed at this hotel 3 times in the last six months for my son's soccer tournaments. The first two times we didn't have any problems. This time, however, I wasn't impressed. Recently they changed their pool hours. It is now closed for "adult" time at 9. We left the pool at this time, and there were kids running up and down the halls until well after 10. Wouldn't their energy be better spent swimming? Why couldn't "adult" time begin at 10? Also, when we got back to our room at 9 to get the kids settled, I pulled back the comforter and there was a blood stain on the sheets. This is unacceptable. It was too late to complain and change rooms, so we took the sheet off. When I mentioned it the next morning at check out, they apologized but didn't offer any kind of discount whatsoever. Not exactly the best stay for 149.00 per night.
I highly recommend staying here in Moose Jaw, very friendly ,comfortable and very accommodating , and if your going to Calgary or on to BC the first stop here is not a bad stretch for your first day on a trip if your coming from Winnipeg MB. Also close to A mall and eatery . Beautiful Country
Great exterior, great looking room and very spacious. Was in a great location, close to the highway but near all the shops you need. The breakfast food was a bit bland. Great shower. Had a 1st floor room and great access to parking lot. Fully recommend this stay
Staff were helpful and prompt. Breakfast had plenty of items and staff there were diligent and attentive. The pool was somewhat small but certainly deep enough for the waterslide. The room was comfy as were the beds. The bathroom had a fan which is somewhat of a rarity these days.
Pool hours only til 9 pm. They have a water slide, small pool, hot tub didn't work. Treadmill in gym didn't work, not very clean, quality of workmanship is very poor in the hotel. Service from staff is mediocre at best. Breakfast was ok. Would not stay again unless only option.
The staff at this Best Western went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. I was going to have to stay at 2 hotels due to a dance competition. They went above and beyond to ensure I was able to stay there for the entire stay. They were all pleasant and they treated me as family. The rooms were extremely clean and well kept.
This hotel is well situated for travelling through on the Trans Canada highway. Nicely appointed rooms. Our room was quiet and bed very comfy. Staff very polite and a nice selection of food for breakfast. Liked the crispy bacon.
Nice place, good beds and pillows. Clean rooms. Stayed for a couple of weeks on business. I would stay there again with no real issues regarding hotel. I didn't really use the amenities as I was working nightshift. Typical day time noise from staff cleaning hall way and other rooms. Just had to tell staff to clean near room at other times.
The location is very convenient to the TransCanada Hwy. The room was very clean and the beds very comfortable. The breakfast selection was excellent and the staff very helpful. The pool and hot tub area was also well maintained so we throughly enjoyed the use of them.
This hotel is gorgeous with extremely comfortable beds. Very clean. It has a very convenient location right off the Trans Canada #1 highway. Great staff. I highly recommend stopping here. We arrived very late and they even helped us find a restaurant that would deliver to our room.
Could not get over how comfortable the pillows and the bed were! Brand new hotel with excellent continental breakfast, pool, slide and hot tub for some fun and relaxation. Super easy to find and easy to get to downtown area from the hotel. Lots of parking with a well lit parking lot. Tim Hortons right next to it as well
The staff was excellent when we checked in and out. The room was nice and roomy. The room was also clean. It was windy this weekend and it was loud, but it was okay. The continental (hot) breakfast was good. We didn't use the pool, but it looked really nice. It was a wonderful experience!
Overall the hotel is fine but the staff do not smile much and sometimes act like you the customer are bothering them. Room was okay, bathroom floor and corners need a deep cleaning but then I have a bugaboo about bathrooms. The breakfast was good and the lady that works there is a wealth of info about Moose Jaw.
Newer hotel but poor quality finishes. Requested a higher level room, got second floor so had to put up with noise above us. Front desk clerk did not ask if I enjoyed my stay. Over priced for area...on outskirts of town. WiFi was very poor upon arrival, got better the next morning. Place seems to be popular for sport teams....beware.
Second time staying at this property and it was a nice as I remembered. Room was great, no issues. Breakfast selections were very nice with scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage, make your own waffles, various breads and yogurts. Will stay here again when I am back to Moose Jaw
Spent two nights at this hotel. Great location and easy to get to. Room was clean, beds were soft, food was awesome, staff were helpful and very kind. The manager took the time to figure out a tv programming matter. The only thing we have to mention that was disappointing was the pool and water slide times. The pool opens at 8am BUT the water slide does not turn on till 10am. So a pool full of screaming kids can not be any louder than a water slide operating. Since the water slide was not on, kids were still using the dry slide with wet swimming trunks. Many kids had rashes from this and yeah it was not the best idea, but I have a huge suggestion, turn the water slide on when pool opens at 8am. Manager please explain why the water slide is off for 2 hours in morning. Can't be the noise of the water running because it was very quiet when I sat next to it. Both evenings kids were running wild down the hallways and staff wrote a note in lobby warning people to be quiet after 9pm. Possibly have staff warn parents that hallways are not playgrounds and that other people need to sleep.
This 3 year old hotel was very good exceppt for internet service in our 4th floor room. Very ciean room, very good bed, excellent HVAC system, good breakfast with hot items, and easy to locate. There is a pool, hot tub and water slide (which was quite noisy on a Friday night). Overall, a good place to stay.
Stayed for one night on route to BC. Have two little girls who love swimming. The hotel was very clean, front desk staff were okay although they gave us grief over having two kids (1 and 3) in a King Room with us as they said it is "against policy". I told them the website should not have allowed us to book it then especially when the kids were confirmed on the booking as well. The pool was great, water slide a bit to fast and dark for my three year old but still had a great time. Breakfast was great with very nice staff. Will stay again on next trip.
Start with pros: great location, easy to get to, fairly clean, newer hotel. Cons: front desk staff was awful. We were there with a girls basketball team, first night we checked in I asked if it would be alright if we used the breakfast area to eat pizza, and I offered to clean up. They said no, so we jammed 20 people into a room and fed the team. One of the parents rooms was definitely NOT clean, they did come in and clean it and ended up not charging her for room. Our team did not play until 5pm on check out day so I asked if it was possible for a late check out, they said no. There were 3 other teams that checked out so I'm not sure what the problem would have been. It took a half hour to check out because there seemed to be so many room rates. Group rate quoted was $159.99, when I checked in they said was a little cheaper with CAA $158.39. One of the parents was being charged $134 (same room type) other $162. It was just insane, we stay at a lot of hotels throughout the season and I have never had anything like this happen. Will definitely not be going back.
Clean, quiet and very accommodating. I needed to book on short notice and was overall pleased with my choice. Large room, bathroom a bit small as the door almost touches the toilet when you swing it shut. Coffee provided in the room. I did find the side of the hotel near the #1 was noisy and would request the other side next time. Continental breakfast was good. We did not have a chance to try the pool.
We find this hotel to be very good and is in a good location. It is close and on a street that goes to the new hospital. The staff are helpful. The hot and cold breakfast has a large selection to choose from.
Excellent hotel to stay at. Access to this hotel was very good for me. I pull trailers so the parking was good enough for what I need. The only problem I had was the wifi was very slow and it made it very difficult to get my work done.
My daughters and I stayed in this hotel on Feb. 27/16 for one night. We were very pleased with the efficient accommodating friendly staff and our room was upgraded which was great and it met all of our expectations. We didn't use the pool area at all, so I can't comment on that. We would definitely stay there again.
This is a new hotel that is clean and welcoming. The front desk staff was very accommodating and made special arrangements to allow an early check-in to accommodate our schedule. The beds were very comfortable and the room was spacious with two queen beds and room for a table and chairs, an armchair, dresser, desk, fridge and microwave..
Staff was pleasant, rooms are quite nice, bed was super comfy, staff was lovely, pool/hot tub were good too. Staff were friendly and the price is very reasonable. Their coffee isn't the greatest but Tim Hortons is just down the road.
Spent one night with our family on Family Day weekend. Pool was very busy. Hot tub was packed & we had to sit & wait for a couple spots to open up while our two kids enjoyed the waterside. The waterslide was a big hit. Our room was very warm (thermostat was set to 18, but the temperature was 24). We slept with the window open all night & in the morning it was finally down to room temperature. Beds were comfortable, but there was some noise from the transCanada right next to the hotel. Breakfast was good & well stocked in spite of the crowds that were there. Overall, a good stay & a great hotel.
Chose this hotel for the breakfast and pool included with the stay. However the breakfast doesn't start until 7am on weekends which was too late for us to access and the pool was totally overrun with kids and the chlorine level was so high our eyes were red and puffy for two days. So while the room was clean, staff was helpful and beds were comfortable we will stay else where next time that costs less since we didn't get the value out of our stay. Paying extra for a pool and breakfast that we didn't get to use doesn't make sense.
This is a really nice property. It's super easy to find as you can see it from the highway. The parking is massive. So many trucks with sleds in the lot and no problems finding a place for my car. Checkin was a breeze. My room (209) was really nice. It even had a small fridge, electric stove top and a microwave. Not that I needed them for my one night stay but still it was nice to see. The bed was so comfy one of the most comfortable I have been in in a long time. And the Blackout curtains really work. Be sure to leave a bedside light on if you're going to use them so you can find your way back to bed. It's located on a little hotel cul-de-sac so there's nothing to walk to which is a bit of a shame but there's a Timmies right down the street.
Great hotel. Everything was great for a business trip. For the cost of the room I was very happy with the quality and appearance of the hotel. Definitely nicer hotel then you usually get in a small city.
The night of our stay the hotel was filled with young kids and the parents visiting for a hockey tournament The noise of jumping running and yelling in the rooms and hallways persisted until midnight despite my numerous complaints to front desk I am extremely tolerant to noise having 2 young boys at home but this was a new level of noise I blame the staff for not being rigorous during quite hours When at midnight I threatened to move to the hotel next door because I needed some sleep the noise stopped I will never stay there again Oh and hotel staff when you have a group of kids place them on first not top floor Use some common sense enough pre written speeches and practiced apologizes
The size and comfort of the room far exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed the pool, television and internet services, though the pool was a little dirty. There was plenty of food at breakfast but the hot items were not replenished quickly enough and the layout was awkward. I would suggest placing the coffee machine in another corner.
very comfortable and clean, staff very friendly and helpfull. very common sense and easy to talk and visit with. We were there for a very short time but wished we could have used some of the other amenities such as the pool and hot tub. we will return to that location and recommend it to family members.
The Best Western Plus in Moose Jaw made our visit with family and friends a pleasent one. The room was large and comfortable with everything we needed. The breakfast was a good selection of hot and cold items. We did not like the coffee being brewed from a machine on an idividual basis.
Hotel was new, very impressive nice lobby. Rooms were spacious and clean nice bed and good pillows . the breakfast area was large and nice variety. The pool and hot tub were small but nice. Only drawback was the highway noise all night. May be different on the other side of hotel.
Room was billed to wrong credit card. Upon check-in, was repeatedly asked if I wanted to become a member in the loyalty program- did not appreciate being asked multiple times after initially declining. Treadmill and TVs did not work in gym.
Booked a room through expedia paid for with a credit card I forgot at home and upon arrival I was told there was nothing they could do for me as I forgot my card. I offered to pay a deposit and was still turned down. To top this bad experience off they refused to refund the already paid room back to the card. So I went a cross the road to the ramada and they were happy to help and told me they have had a lot of people come over from the best western complaining . So my addvice to those looking for a room stay away from the best western plus in moose jaw.
The staff are great, friendly and polite. As the property is newer the rooms are decent. The problem is that the staff have not been trained in any safety situations and the General Manager is never to be found. No water and on boil water advisory, staff did not know what to do. No power, and emergency lighting not working, fire alarm in middle of night and guests could not leave their room as could not see to find the stairs. Again front desk staff had no idea how to work fire panel or alarm code when fire depth. Arrived. And locals book kids birthday parties to use the pool so if you are here working you won't get any rest on the weekends.
the rooms were all newly renovated and very nice only complaint was that you could hear trucks drive by on the highway and the wind noise during the night was quite loud. The free breakfast was filling and good as well the staff were all very friendly to deal with.
Beware! Rate you were quoted may not be the same as actual charge on your credit card. I booked they Trip Advisor at 107.00 and was charged 148.00. Best Western blamed Trip Advisor and Trip Advisor blamed Best Western. Traveller beware!!
The hotel is fairly new, rooms are very comfortable. Would definitely stay again sometime. The staff was very helpful on check in as I had a heavy item that needed to stay dry during the rain. He offered help immediately to move it and offered a storage spot overnight.
This hotel is close to being a good hotel, but two things prevent me from giving it a very good rating. First, the good points: 1. Large, clean room with a good layout and good computer desk/workspace 2. Lots of parking 3. I found the front desk staff to be friendly and helpful and the not-so-good: 1. Hard to find at night. This area is still under construction, in general, so in a year or two the GPS should be up-to-date and roads that are now deadends should become through roads.I think this problem will go away with time. The other two problems won't. 2. Very noisy because of all the semi trailers on the nearby Trans-Canada. If you have a room that faces away from the highway, this shouldn't be a problem. If you are given a choice, choose a room on the side away from the highway. 3. A breakfast room that is far too small for the size of the hotel. This is a basic design flaw in the hotel. There simply is not space in the breakfast area to seat very many people. I ended up taking breakfast back to my room, since there was no place to sit. That's too bad, because the breakfast itself was good, with quite a few choices. So - if you happen to be here on a day when the hotel is not too full, and if you get a room facing away from the highway, your experience will likely be above average.
We stayed one night in August. The hotel is relatively new and near the northeast edge of town in an area with a couple of other large new hotels. Reception was excellent. The room was very good to excellent. It was spacious, all the amenities worked well, and the beds were very comfy. The wi-fi worked well also. We got a good sleep. Breakfast the next day was good. The place was full because of a pro football game down the road in Regina, but the food was plentiful and we got a small table. They have the food in a main eating area, and an 'overflow' eating area close by to sit in and eat. Overall we highly recommend this hotel in Moose Jaw.
This is a very nice motel from its friendly staff to its convenient location to both the highway and to downtown Moose Jaw. Our room was quiet and neat as a pin. The front desk crew was terrific, providing us with recommendations of must see attractions and unique local places to eat. After spending several pleasant hours seeing the sights and sampling a wonderful restaurant, we returned to the motel to find warm cookies and hot coffee in the lobby - a nice ending to a very nice day.
By far this was the nicest Best Western I have stayed in! Granted it was in the fall so too were not too cold. "Well done" on the building of the facility. It was easy to tell it was a very new facility...probably 1-2 years. I would recommend staying here again.
This hotel was excellent. The breakfast was very good and has a wide variety to choose from. We had a King suite and it was very nice. It had a whirl pool tub and it was very nice once we figured out how to turn it on.
